Music museum displaying 1,000+ instruments from a variety of cultures & historical periods.
I have been there in 2018, shortly before they closed for renovation. I'm especially interested in string instruments played with the bow, means violins, viols, celli and double-basses and the older variations of this. And in the museum they really have an extraordinary collection of instruments. They not only have a Stradivarius violin, but also one of five existing Stradivari guitars and one of the two existing mandolins made by Stradivari. Shortly said: for lovers of old italian instruments of the violin family it's an absolutely must to visit this place.

Bar none, the most well thought out museum we have ever toured, regardless of genre.
Don't let the fact that more than half of it still being off limits while under renovation dissuade you. Rather, that makes it easier to digest in bite-sized pieces as you will want to return again and again.
Take your time and read every placard. As you do, you will realize you don't want to miss a single line of information.
The interactive elements are fantastic as well.

Very interesting and impressive collection of instruments A recent renovation (first floor now open) makes it very accessible and easy to navigate. We brought a traveling choir and they thoroughly enjoyed it. Well worth a visit. Plan 60-90 minutes.

Their exhibits never cease to amaze me. We got to see the King Amati cello (among other amazing instruments) and it is such a cool experience. The staff helping out here are also super friendly.

I really enjoyed getting to visit this museum as I am a big music lover and am fascinated by the history of music and instruments. This museum even had a few instruments that I did recognize, which was fascinating to learn about for the first time. They have an awesome self-guided audio/video tour. They also have some famous artists instruments and movie props. I think this museum is a must see for anyone who likes music!

Definitely a must-see for any music lover. We went with our three daughters who also loved learning about all the instruments. Staff was genuinely pleasant. We loved it!

World Class selection of instruments. Everything from 500 year old lyres to a Marlin guitar used 29 times. Unique gifts and great service.

Really interesting collection and has a small concert hall within as well. Only one exhibit was open today but I'll definitely return to see more. Nice little gift shop too.

This is an awesome museum. It took us 2 hours to get through, but we read almost all their information. Highly recommend it.
2,400 forested acres providing an education center & cabins plus fishing, hiking, wildlife & more.
This is our second visit to Ponca, and we LOVE it!! It's a gorgeous area with beautiful hiking trails! Our family favorite is the Corp of Discovery trail!
We really like the Turkey Ridge campground, you can't reserve the sites which is a bonus for those of us who don't plan camping trips 6 months in advance. The campsites are spacious and the edge ones have a great view into the woods!
Definitely recommend!

If you are looking for a outdoor experience with comfortable accommodations and modern conveniences, Ponca is the perfect State Park for you. The staff is very friendly and accommodating The area is clean and well taken care of, which is impressive considering the size of the park. Ponca has accommodations for all sizes of groups. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage, but they also have 4 bedroom lodges. As well as all sorts of camping sites for tent camping and larger campers. I have been coming to Ponca for years and each experience has been positive. I highly recommend Ponca State Park for a vacation destinations.

Only the 2nd time we’ve been to Ponca State Park. We loved it! We hiked a lot with the dogs. Drove around. Sat in the back deck and watched the sunsets. Checked out the lodge. It was great! I would highly recommend visiting this park.

Ponca State Park is a beautiful park with some very nice trails. We went hiking in October so we were able to see the Halloween decorations all over the state park! I enjoyed the elevation changes the trails offer. Although they were minor, it was nice to have a little extra challenge. My only complaint would be that you can see the road and the cars driving by while you are hiking on some of the trails. That was a little disappointing because I enjoy the seclusion when hiking. Other than that it was definitely worth the drive from Sioux Falls and we will be back in the future for some more exploration!

Beautiful getaway with friends. Badger Cabin was an amazing place to spend a couple of days with ladies, reminiscing about the old days, catching up, and laughing. It was serene sitting up there, like we were in the canopy of a forest.

One of my favorite places in Nebraska! A wonderful place with beautiful flora and fauna. Great for hikes and relaxing! If you're in the Sioux City area, consider checking it out!
Isaac Archuleta — Google review
I'm told it's great birding area. I did see lots of ducks and geese from our outstanding campsite on the banks of the Missouri. Otherwise I didn't explore the park. All in all I really liked this for a quick overnight spot.

So fun! We went on Old Oak Trail which is not wheelchair accessible. It was gorgeous even in late November and had wonderful views. The interactive area in the public building was incredibly fun and educational.
Alena Bunkers — Google review
We really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was clean and cozy. We had a fantastic view of the sunrise and plenty of space for our dogs. We explored some of the trails and just enjoyed the natural beauty of the park. It's really clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend a stay here. I know we will return.
Charissa Kenny — Google review
The state park is fantastic with some amazing views over the Missouri River and landscape. Wonderful hiking trails at different ratings of difficulty. The cabin we stayed in was a 4 bedroom with lots of room for the 4 of us. There would be plenty of room for 8. We brought our dogs, which was really nice. Remember a kennel, as we found out that it's the rule they are in a kennel if leaving them in the house alone. The fishing pond gets a little crowded as it's quite small, but the stocked rainbows were biting like crazy, much to the joy of my kids.
The only negative part, which is not the parks fault, was all the trash in the forest. It saddens me to see a precious state park looking like that, and I hope that there will be clean up during summer and that the park service will put heavy lids on all their trash cans and dumpsters. With the wind howling as it did when we were there, all the dumpster lids blow open, and trash flies everywhere. But apart from that I would definitely recommend a stay at the park and visit to nearby Ponca which has a nice little convenience store with all you'll need. There is also a nice pizza restaurant, Outlaw. Great pizza and ice cream.

This is our 1st camping trip to Ponca State Park. We joined 3 others and brought our sweet dog Reilly. We had a walk-in site waaaay away from others. Very beautiful, serene, and I still can't believe how inexpensive the camping fee was. We saw the Park Ranger once when we were leaving on Sunday, and he offered to help us carry stuff out!! He was super nice!!! We will definitely be back to camp!!!

****WATCH OUT for RATTLESNAKES***
Came across one not far from the campground down by the river!! Despite that Very nice park! Well kept and very beautiful! Camp hosts were very friendly & helpful. Did a great job warning us or bad weather in the area. Really hard to find your way around once in the park.Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I think they could do a better job helping people get to where they need to be. More signs pointing where to go to get to different areas. The maps on the boards were ripped and incomplete, need to put up new ones.
Rachel Whaley — Google review
The cabins were great and updated. We had a great time fishing at the catch and release pond. The hiking was great and the elevation made for visually stunning views of the river. I would have given the more stars ✨ if the park’s attractions were all open. They advertised archery range, but they were closed. If the pool was not open my kids would have been bored. The pool was great but get there early to get a chair.

Loved the experience!! Drove round trip 440 miles to visit this place off of a recommendation from a friend in College. Can't believe I made it to the Ice Cream Capitol of the World!!

Friendly staff I love how they all worked together and was patient with the kids ordering their ice cream we all also enjoyed the upstairs learning areas and the videos in the theature thank you for always giving us a great experience when we come to visit!

Being that Le Mars is the Ice cream capital of the world you can't not visit the Blue Bunny ice cream parlor. The treats are priced reasonable and so much to look at while you eat your treat. The second floor has some fun stuff for the kiddos to be entertained while you snack. Plus a small theater to watch a 10 minute film about how they make the ice cream and information about the production. Definitely worth going along with a lot of the other stores along the way.
Thomas Sands — Google review
Bright and clean ice cream parlor in a beautiful old building with stairs leading to working exhibits and a short movie about the Wells Blue Bunny origin story. Prices were average to high and some of the souvenirs were strange. Overall nice place to visit.

If you EVER have the chance to get to Le Mars, Iowa...YOU MUST VISIT THE BLUE BUNNY ICE CREAM PARLOR. Great Experience...Great Ice Cream and a Visitor's Center you will Truly Enjoy!!!
James Minor — Google review
Being a huge ice cream fan (have some almost every night before bed), I couldn't wait to visit this place after hearing it was the Ice Cream Capital of the World. We finally had a chance during a recent trip home when we had a little extra time to spare.
The building was modern, clean and full of energetic employees and the ice cream was delicious (see pictures). There was a great gift store to complement the ice cream counter as well as a small media center / showhall that shows a history of the family and company (see pictures).
If you have the opportunity to swing a little out of the way on your trip up I-29, I highly recommend a quick stop in this quaint little town.

Great tasting ice cream! It was a fun little visit on our road trip. The upstairs offers a little history of Blue Bunny Ice cream and interactive stations for kids. It's truly a great place to check out!

Oh boy was this a real treat. We took the long drive from Sioux Falls with the family and it was well worth it. This visit changed my opinion about Blue Bunny Ice cream for the better.
They say you can taste all the flavors, but gee whiz, you'd really be holding up the line. Busy place on the weekends, in the summer none the less. (What should I have expected ? lol.) The kids loved it as did the adults.
Reasonably priced. The employees all seemed to be high school kids and did lack some basic customer service skills. They seemed to be like a deer in the headlights. So lower your expectations there.

Got to visit the Ice Cream Capital of the World. This place did not disappoint with the beautiful layout inside. The Ice Cream was great and they had many displays with a nice gift shop. Just what you think of when you think Ice cream Parlor The staff are super to talk with.

If you are in the area and looking for a short excursion this is the place to go. The experience is worth getting off of I-29 and heading over to the Blue Bunny (Wells) Ice Cream Parlor. The selections are amazing and the serving sizes are huge. One scoop is insane. The gift shop has lots of souvenirs to add to your collection. Don’t forget you can go up to the outdoor patio and enjoy your ice cream outside on the rooftop.
So great we came twice!
Fun stop on our drive through Iowa. Delicious ice cream. Nice to let the kids play upstairs while learning about ice cream. The decor and exhibits are nicely done. Bathrooms are clean. Fantastic find!
Brittany Misuraca — Google review
The ice cream is great but this place is hyped up as a museum and ice cream Haven. It's not that at all. One ice cream shop in the visitor center with a couple of interactive features. The gift shop is bigger than the museum.
There are ice cream statues around the town with different paintings. But we didn't take the time to look at them all as they seemed to be advertisements.
If I'm being told something is the capital of the world I expect more.

The Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center offers interactive and animated exhibits that delve into the July-September 1804 portion of the famed expedition. The museum also focuses on Sargent Floyd, who passed away in the area during the expedition. Visitors can check out cool animatronics, beautiful paintings and murals, and a mini model of the keel boat used by Lewis and Clark to cross the Missouri River.
This place was fantastic! So much more informative than some of the other L&C places (maybe we haven’t been to most?). Anyway, this had a LOT of exhibits and explanations of why, where, and what happened during the journey. Nice layout inside with “talking” men telling us about their journey. There was a terrific statue outside that really was dramatic.
Steve S — Google review
The museum is not very big. There are a few “living statutes” telling their stories. It’s an educational and visual immersion in the past.

I really liked this place. A lot of nice sculpture outside. Inside a good film and very lifelike representations that give a little talk.

Oh, What Fun
As I continue my journey along the Lewis and Clark trail, I made my way into Sioux City, IA to the interpretive center. Although the section that I went through regarding the expedition is setup for children and teens, I took advantage of it anyway.
The interpretive center offers a visitors’ guidebook as well as a 70-page booklet titled, Lewis & Clark in Iowa. Both are free. The Official Visitors ’Journal, a stamping booklet, was used through the interactive, animated stations that offered information regarding the expedition specifically in this area and of the death and burial of Sergeant Charles Floyd. At each station the characters, Thomas Jefferson, Sergeant C. Floyd, the Corps of Discovery soldiers and York, the only slave in the group owned by William Clark. With the press of a button, these characters come to life to share their stories.
This wonderful exhibit is a great learning tool for everyone interested in the journey of The Corp of Discovery. This building is part of another, The Betty Strong Encounter Center. Overall: Take a moment to enjoy and explore at this wonderful and free interpretive center.
Lila Johnson — Google review
Nice museum, focusing on Sargent Floyd who died on the expedition in the area. Cool weird animatronics! Really nice paintings and murals. In a big nice park with a nice looking trail, tons of parking, picnic areas, and a visitor center in a steamboat, which I only got to see for 15 mins because it was closing. But still very cool! A nice place to stop on a road trip! They have a mini model of the keel boat Lewis and Clark used to cross the Missouri, and you can see the scale version at the next rest stop west in chamberlain, where you can also see the dignity statue!
Sarah Nowlen — Google review
Amazing setup! It was so informative and fun. I would go again just to watch the interactive characters. Extremely life-like.

Would have loved even more details of expedition, but a great place nonetheless. Beautiful sculptures of animals and L & C, and gorgeous photographs of native Winnebago Americans.
Glenda Bell — Google review
The temporary art display outside was an absolute joy. Going inside there were animatronics that told the story of the interpretive center. This was too mature for my 3 abs 5 year olds, but I enjoyed it. They had a Lincoln log activity for smaller children. We all left happy.
Marcy Kyser — Google review
Good place to learn about the Lewis and Clark Expedition. You get to see mention of them all along the Missouri River, but this place did well. There are moving mannequins with voiceover, but some appear to find it a little bit spooky.
Jaehyup Kim — Google review
Awesome quick learning experience about Lewis and Clark's exploration in Iowa and Nebraska. The recycled materials dinos outside were a great addition - part of a traveling exhibit.
Kendra Emerson — Google review
Very nicely laid out museum with art gallery quality displays and exhibits. Some hands on stations for children and adults. The building is modern and many items to read about Lewis and Clark's Corps of Discovery exploration.
Scott — Google review
Nicely done displays including animatronics, photos and interactive activities. The grounds are beautiful. Also on the grounds is a Visitors Center that was an old river boat. The displays in both areas focus on the Lewis and Clark expedition as it touches on Iowa. No cost at either place.

Very informative. We walk by every day and finally decided to go in. The exhibits were well thought out, especially the talking exhibits. Would go again.
Sioux City Public Museum offers a vast collection of historical artifacts and interactive displays that cover the history of the town from its founding to present day. The exhibits include fascinating items such as Native American artifacts, dinosaurs and historical mementos from the region. A replica fossil dig is also available for children to explore. Additionally, visitors can enjoy a short film and browse through a small gift shop during their visit.
So much to see and learn. Loved the short film. The front desk ladies are very friendly. They also have a small gift shop.

This museum has several historical items ranging from dinosaurs, Native American artifacts, historical items from the state, region, and Sioux City. It is a terrific place to take children because of the exhibits and there is also a faux fossil dig that is kid friendly. Plus a gift shop.

I went to the Museum for one of their History at High Noon presentations. It was about telephone companies in Sioux City - how they started and changed over the years. The presentation was excellent and I learned so much.

I think the density was overwhelming and there is a lot of reading. The children's play space was tucked back so you couldn't see exhibits while the kids played. The dino fossil digging was very fun for my 3 and 5 year olds.

Had a great time learning something new about Sioux City. There's little activities scattered around, perfect for the kids. I love coming back to see what's new.

This museum covers a lot of Sioux City history. It really brings back the vibes of the city and how it was established. I would recommend bringing your family and friends to this place for something to do whether you’re a Sioux City resident or just here to visit. You gotta love Sioux City, and, knowing it history brings a whole new appreciation for it. This place is truly amazing!

The Sioux City Public Museum is the perfect place for families to learn about Sioux City and Iowa history and to keep little bodies occupied. The museum is well laid out, super easy to get around, and has wide variety of displays and interactive exhibits. Our favorite was the dino dig. Our little ones spent a good hour digging for and brushing off dinosaur bones. They switch out exhibits, we saw The Beatles swag while we were there. Lots of fun!
We found the overall experience to be excellent. Staff was friendly and the musuem was free. We spent $1.50 on Kester parking. So, no complaints here. :)

This was a great museum! I can't believe how much they had available for a free admission spot! We have a 2 year-old and a 16 year-old and there was something there for both. They especially loved the Dino dig exhibit!
Omega Dipple — Google review
Great place to visit! For being a free to the public museum, they really put a lot of effort into making it interactive and interesting. We started out watching their 12 min film which gave an in depth look at Sioux City and its history and was well put together and kept our attention throughout the entire film/show. We then went on to explore a bunch of artifacts from the cities past and lots of interactive exhibits. If you are looking to spend an hour doing something fun for free, I would definitely recommend. We were also able to park just across the street from the museum and it was only $0.75 an hour.
The Sergeant Floyd Monument, erected in memory of the only Corps of Discovery member to pass away on the expedition, is a well-designed and maintained obelisk located on a hill visible from -29. The monument offers a unique glimpse into American expansion history and features the correct flag for that period. Additionally, visitors can view three states at once: Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota.
Beautiful place .sad story but the respect he was given is great .
Oh and I fell and my husband had to take a pic before helping me up lol 😂

Well, I gotta say, that Sergeant Floyd Monument down in Sioux City is somethin' else! It's like a little brother to the Washington Monument, and that's just neat as a jar of pickles on a hot summer day. I reckon it's a real fine piece of work, honorin' Sergeant Floyd and all, and it sure does make a feller proud to be from the USA. Five stars? Heck, I'd give it six if I could!

We were staying the night in Sioux City Iowa and our sunset was wonderful at Floyd’s Bluff on the Missouri River where Sgt. Charles Floyd was buried. He was the first US soldier to die west of the Mississippi while on the Lewis & Clark Expedition. Floyd was born in Kentucky around 1782 and in 1804 he became ill while traveling with the famous explorers. He was buried on the Bluff of the Missouri River.
J. Shaw Renner — Google review
There is very interesting information to read as you walk around and enjoy the views. It is worth your time to stop and learn more about this important treck across the frontier.

Perfect spot to commerate Sgt. Floyd and the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Impressive views of the Missouri River. A poignant spot for history buffs.
Paul McVey — Google review
Sergeant Floyd was the only perished member of the Lewis and Clark expedition. He allegedly succumbed to appendicitis, which was incurable at the time, whose body is said to be buried in a site in vicinity on the Nebraska side. It was too hot to appreciate the monument fully when we there, and the weather was also probably too unforgiving for the interpretive signs too. Fortunately some of them are identical to those of the Sergeant Floyd River Museum.

A must visit for any Lewis and Clark history buff. The spot where Sergeant Floyd was buried during the Lewis and Clark expedition. The site is well maintained and has several informative signs around the site concerning his death and the exhibition. You can really get a good feel for the history as you stand in the same spot as Lewis and Clark.
M NELSO — Google review
This monument to Sergeant Floyd, of the Corps of Discovery lead by Merriweather Lewis and William Clark, is very well designed and superbly maintained. One can not miss the obelisk on the hill from I-29. It's easy to get to and provides a unique look at the history of the expansion of America. One thing that stood out to me was the use of the correct United States of America flag on the hill. As you can see in the photo attached, and you will see in person, the flag flown at the time of this expedition is the only one to have fifteen stars and fifteen stripes. Another neat aspect of this location is the ability to view three states at one time. You can see Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota.

Warm rooms in a lively property with a casino & 2 eateries, plus an indoor pool & a fitness center.
We stay at the hotel at least once a year, as we live out of state and it has ALWAYS been great! Very clean, great pool, all staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and more than adequate. Casino nice and three places to eat. Great beds, coffee in room, refrigerator, micro-wave. We will continue to stay where we know everything is terrific!

Great venue for concerts. Only bad part, if you have any type of lung/ breathing issues anyone can smoke in the casino! Drawback, you have to walk through the casino to get to the venue/ stage area.

We went to a concert. You had to walk through all the smoking to get to the venue and the no smoking room if you wanted to gamble. The music was so loud that I had to put tissue in my ears.
The staff was very helpful and very polite. It was much appreciated

At one time it was probably a jumping little casino, now it only gets mostly locals. The slot machines were really tight. We stayed in Rv parking, price was good, but we didn't have any water at the site. No water connections. The area was under a boil order so we couldn't even fill our tank. The people was friendly enough.

Environment is inviting, cleaning crews are always busy doing up keep, slight smell of cigarette but that's too be expected, it's not overpowering. I feel like there should be free popcorn. This was my 3rd visit. I'm down somewhere in the realm of 400 bucks, I feel as if I've been helping pay their rent and that's it at this point. Might give it one more shot, we will see

I played Black Jack. 3 of 4 dealers were just ok, 1 was not a happy person. Would not talk and almost threw the cards he was dealing so fast. And I was the only one playing. Food was below average. Sent back a grilled cheese sandwich. Instead of 3 chesses as advertised there was one. Second sandwich was cold in middle. Overall the casino was dirty. Below the tables and between machines had not been cleaned in a long time. I've been to a number of casinos, never seen the poor attitude and such a dirty casino. The only positive was you could plug your rv in to electric for $15/ Night.

Was going to have supper? And maybe place? Some machines manager sent security out to remove me from the parking lot. Said trucks parked down a road behind gas station. I decided I won't bother spending a Nickle there. They had a total ove about 6 cars and a 100 acre parking lot. So sad too bad for them

One of my favorite casinos!! They have a great combination of old and new slot machines. The Kasu Cafe food is great, but it has limited hours and days. Buffet is back too!! Have not yet stayed at the hotel but am planning on it in the future, will review then. Oh and don't forget Bingo!! Remember to sign up for a players card to earn points and receive offers for play. Smoking is allowed but there is a non-smoking slots area.

Water had hardly any pressure. It was a joke. New Day celebration promotion? Another joke. The same people were called to pick a xmas stocking for cash and the car drawing the next day. They pick who they want to win. I went up and asked how are the people selected, the announcer stated random draw? I racked up thousands of points in hopes my name would be called. It was my birthday on 1-1. I guess we will stop coming to this casino. They choose who they want to be in their contests. Unfair, unprofessional, tacky and down right scandalous.
Do not play bingo! It is a scam! Same people bingo all the time. Bingo callers are terrible except Vanessa. She is excellent; she speaks clearly and doesn’t rush when calling numbers. The rest, however, are horrible. You are racing to daub. They call a number every 5 seconds! You are playing Speedo not bingo. Ridiculous! The cost to play is outrageously high too.

Great clean hotel and casino. Friendly staff, great entertainment. We wish they would get the faceup paigow back and get rid of the Super paigow. We haven't been back since our favorite card game is now gone. Jan 2023.

The desk lady was fantastic for a traveling couple showing up near midnight. She encouraged us to get a card at casino for better room rate and spin the wheel, so of course we had to play some machines for an hour to wind down before bed. Rooms were clean and well maintained. It was a pleasant visit.

It was okay. I wonder if they are mid upgrade or something. No art in the halls or in the rooms.
Bathrooms were spacious which was nice. Microwave, coffee maker, mini fridge, TV in room.
Weird stain on one of the blinds. Room smelled of smoke, even though no smoking allowed. Beds okay, bedding seemed dated.
Hot tub out of order. No heat in the pool. Breakfast not included.
Plenty of parking. Handicap accessible. Connected to the casino. Restaurant on site.
$100/night. Option for 2 queen beds of q king bed.

Me and my family were on a weekend trip in Sioux City for my wife's birthday. Seen signs on the interstate so we decided to travel down and see what was jumping. Thank you for the players play as it was our first time here. We won some and lose some but overall we had a blast

I frequent the casino more offten these days so i know the general vibe. Its a little off the path but well worth the visit if your in the area. The slots tend to be a little more loose then others in the area and the people are very friendly. They offer restaurant dinner along with with a bar and cafe style eatery. One thing they dont have is roullette but the giveaway makes up for that get there early on Fridays and you mite have yourself a good night of winning and gifting .

We were going through the area on our way to Wyoming and decided to stop and play some slots for a little while. The place seemed okay but definitely not the best Casino that I have ever been in , but overall I have no complaints.I would neither recommend or not recommend this establishment. It’s okay.

It was OK. Room was decent, but shower did not get hot at all. Lay out was pretty neat, lady at the front desk took for ever to check us in... She wasn't very friendly either. The food in the casino was amazing and decently priced. None of the ATMs worked that night we were there... So couldn't play for long at the casino. The tables were closed, so no cards. Kinda lame.
Love RV camping here! Not too far from Omaha and sandy lake to kayak on. Abundance of mature trees give a ton of shade making it cooler in the hot summer months.

We came from Crescent IA with our 5th wheel for some early spring camping near where our son lives. We pulled into the park around 2pm on Thursday then Friday late morning the park ranger stops to tell us we have an hour to leave due to park being closed! NOTHING POSTED ANYWHERE ABOUT PARK BEING CLOSED!! No sign at park entrance or registration booth. Also he was not kind at all!!! Complete jerk about it. We had no idea! WE WILL NEVET BE BACK AND WE WILL SPREAD THE WORD OF THE RUDNESS EXPRESSED BY THE PARK RANGER!!

Very beautiful park to rest for a couple of days while traveling. Self check in after 4:00. Big lake, but very low, do to lack of rain. The sites are big. Large play ground area for the kids. Horse shoes and basketball courts to. And the museum has great info about Lewis and Clark. Very interesting about the travels of these two Frontier men. Shower area is Ok. There are pit toilets thur out the park. Beautiful mature trees. Some local carry out stores in the area with fuel, 3 miles away from the camp grounds. Never saw or talked to the camp host. Overall quite place. 😊

This is usually an incredibly beautiful place this time of year. But the drought has left the lake little more than a puddle in a weed patch. The grass is crisp and brown and weeds are tall. However, camping spaces are still very nice and they do have nice shower house.

Very nice park and campground. Campground has nicely spaced sites, a choice of utilities, and several sites right along the lake. Unfortunately the drought has taken a toll on the lake and beach. Nice to walk around under trees and see the keelboat. Note of caution: there are MANY cockleburr plants around and they are PAINFUL to remove and readily stick to dog paws.

Had never been here before. Met a friend from out of town to eat. It was a holiday and just about everything was closed. They were busy so we didn’t want to take up a table just for chatting and we were looking for a place to sit and catch up. Found this place nearby. It was cold out and the place was completely empty aside from one camper. The office didn’t even look manned, so the camper may have been there without active hookups. Really gave us a good chance to look around though. When RV’s, tents and boats are all over, your viewable horizon is limited by it all. On this visit, we had unobstructed views in all directions, which gave us a good appreciation of what this place had to offer. It’s pretty good sized, lots of places to camp, and a lot of water front ground. I had no idea the place even existed, but it would be a location for people to take a serious look at when looking for a bit of a get away.

Great beach for the kids to play and swim! We loved the boats and museum. Looks like a nice campground, too. It is a small state park, and it was very pretty! Very close to Onawa, too. An outdoor shower to rinse off the sand would make this a 5 star in my opinion.

Boating on Blue Lake can be fun, though we din't but saw people enjoying speedy boat rides. There is Keel Boat in display. Good place for fishing. Pickniking with family in the park on riverside is nice. There is many places to take rest and can watch water waves. Cook, fish, boat rides, relax, swing, camp, kids play zone, swim, hike on trails.. Have Fun!

Been camping here for years and we enjoy the scenery at this camp grounds. The fishing was poor at the lake. Unsure how the fish population is after they dredged it last year. The flowers near the shower house seem like they could use a good watering, years past they were huge and beautiful. The site we chose which was on the south side of the grounds had a dumpster and it was parked right next to the road which did present some challenges as we backed our camper up to the site. The dumpster was emptied before the weekend rush was placed back in the exact spot even though there is gravel and room for it to go over several feet. For our trip this time I gave it just 4 stars since it seems to be run a bit differently than it had with the previous camp hosts.
We stopped here on a whim while traveling through the area. Wow! What a find! Lovely shop with fun items to purchase. But the dining area is incredible! You can choose individual items or order afive-course meal for one set price. Each course is separated by a sherbet palate cleanser. The food was delicious! I will definitely put this on my must-visit list next time I drive cross-country.

Such a fun and cute cafe and gift shop! I ate brunch there on a Saturday morning and we were seated right away and the service was great. The menu selection is limited but I enjoyed everything offered. And don't sleep on the caramel rolls! Afterwards we enjoyed shopping in the store and found some great gift items. It's a bit of a drive from Omaha but worth it for a relaxed day away from the city.

Very small dining area, so be prepared to wait. Also, they stop serving breakfast at 10:30 and start serving lunch at 11, so plan accordingly. I also almost didn't get a cinnamon roll because I hadn't put in an order??? No one was tending the coffee bar, so we didn't get that. Besides that, it was a great little place. Friendly staff and lots to shop around for. Little kids playground inside was a nice little touch.

I had been thinking of visiting this place for about three years before finally decided to load up the kids and make the drive. It felt silly to drive such a long distance for cinnamon rolls, but boy was it worth it! The cinnamon rolls are seriously the best I've ever had! The shop is so cute and the chocolates are yummy. Staff was polite and helpful and there's even a small kids play area in the back corner of the store. I went with a friend and our four kids, but it's definitely a place I'd like to visit as a girl's day trip. Again, the drive from anywhere is worth it for the rolls alone!

Met my sister& family friend for lunch which was "Soup Flight" that day. Everything was delicious! We had fun looking at the store and goodies! Will definitely be back!
Jacque Springer — Google review
The cinnamon rolls are huge! We went for the soup flights. You were given four roughly one cup servings of your selected soups. The soup flight was $19.99, the drinks were $3.50, and the service was good. If you have a picky eater, I would suggest going without them. We had to order chicken fingers (six total), and those alone were $17. When all was said and done, our bill for three people was $82, including a tip.
I also want to add that the young lady who took my call was super friendly and very nice. The food may have been subpar, but the service was not.

They weren’t lying when they said they had the worlds best cinnamon rolls. AMAZING. I took a little 45 minute drive today with my girlfriend and our pup! The ladies there were so sweet, let us sample some chocolates, and had not a single issue with our pup being there. They even held her for a minute while we were still looking at what to get! They have a craft side with gardening decorations, kitchen decorations, utensils, an area for kids, and so much more! It was such a sweet place to have a mini day trip! They were serving lunch which all sounded delicious! We agreed we will be coming back to try it out sometime. Pot roast soup is calling our name!

DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge, located along the Loess Hills Natl Scenic Byway in western Iowa, offers a diverse landscape that houses a variety of wildlife. The refuge is home to migratory birds that can be best observed during spring and fall seasons. It also features an observation auditorium overlooking DeSoto Bend Lake where visitors can view the wildlife up close. In addition, the visitor center showcases old steamboat artifacts adding to the historical significance of this destination.
My family has been going here every year for my whole life. It is such a great place to see birds and other wildlife. Definitely recommend visiting during the migration seasons! One of the best places to see eagles, geese, swans and ducks in the winter, and all times of year!

Always a terrific spot for exploring and experiencing the beautiful natural area that nature provides. Fishing, photography, birds, migrating ducks & geese, raccoons, opossums, badgers, bobcats, deer, if it's native & walks, crawls, slithers or flies you can experience it here. Bring your camera!

Imagine if an Amazon shipment was sunk and dredged up 200 years later. That's sort of the impression the sunken Steamboat Bertrand gives. It is amazing to see the range of housewares, from waffle irons to pickles to bullwhips, were recovered from this wreck. The museum is lovely and definitely worth a stop if you're traveling through the area!

The rangers at this refuge were absolutely lovely people. Very helpful when answering questions and were able to help identify a bird in a blurry photo I took. They care a lot about people having a good experience while they are at the refuge.
The museum was cool. They definitely remodeled since the last time I visited. More artifacts were on display and the displays were organized in a very pretty way. We enjoyed that part of it.
The wildlife viewing area was another highlight. We saw 4 bald eagles! Plus dozens of geese and ducks. Swans were also in the lake. It was great to see so much variety.
I plan on visiting again because we had a great time this visit.

DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge is so worth a visit. One of my favorite places. I like to visit at various times during the year and always see something different. The visitor's center is full of interesting facts and the Bertrand museum is fascinating ! Especially in the early spring, I enjoy just sitting in there and listening to all the sounds outside (a speaker pumps in the sound). I enjoy the Cottonwood Nature trail for its peace and listening to the sounds of nature.

Very nice museum, which was unexpected, from the reviews. Pleasant experience, learned about riverboat experience, there's an excavated wreck with all it's cargo salvaged.
Wildlife refuge of 8k acres, right on the Missouri River.

We came here to see the wreck and artifacts of the Bertrand, which sank in 1865.
The air conditioned museum (free entry) is a great respite from the hot, humid Nebraska heat. The displays and info are interesting, quite the time capsule of daily, common items used 160 years ago.
Being a wildlife refuge as well, there is a nice viewing window over the river where one can see turtles on tree stumps, birds of prey and displays of other furtive, people-avoiding animals. Lots of morel mushrooms grow here in spring.
The site of the wreck itself is kinda boring, as it's just a dirty brown water pond with nothing to see but informational signs, which are interesting. But man, it sure is hot out there at high noon!

Amazing wildlife refuge! There's plenty to see. BTW, around the first couple of weeks in November, something like half a million Canadian geese stop by to rest on their way south. Can't wait to see it!

This is a great place to visit to bird watch, look for deer, and fish. You can also learn some history about the the steamboat Bertrand. For just a $3 entry fee, I was very impressed! Nicely managed visitor center with large windowed viewing areas, nice displays of stuffed birds and wildlife, and nicely arranged steamboat Bertrand display. There are some hands on exhibits for kids.
We followed this with a short drive to the steamboat site for a walk and saw an eagle! We were not able to view impressive amounts of geese today... maybe because it was the middle of the day.

The Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge links Omaha, Nebraska with Council Bluffs, Iowa. The bridge is a cable-stayed footbridge and has been named after former US Senator Bob Kerrey. It is a popular spot for cyclists and pedestrians to cross the Missouri River.
Such a cool spot and love that it's always open to check out! We were in town for a concert and stopped here one night to explore! It was a little rainy and cold but got some great pics of the lights and bridge! Also. I love this pedestrian Bridge. It is especially pretty at night with the lights on. There is a small parking lot next to the bridge that tends to get filled up pretty fast. There's no overflow parking lot so be aware. There's a marker on bridge for stateline between Iowa and Nebraska slightly beyond the half-mark point. There's some information and fun facts about the river and fishes on the bridge, which is also pretty cool.

The Nebraska side of the bridge is very calm and relaxing when we went around 430-5PM on a weekend. The bridge is nice and an easy walk. There is a semi-steep income if you're starting in Nebraska. I did not walk all the way to the end of the bridge in Iowa. There are electric bikes on the Nebraska side that you can rent and are allowed on the bridge.
There's signage around the area explaining the importance of the area which I enjoyed to read.
Overall a very great area to visit. The place is safe, clean and friendly!

This location offered a beautiful view of the Missouri River and a pleasant morning walk. The bridge had a refreshing breeze when I crossed it that morning and it was amazing.
Another fun detail was the dividing line between the states of Iowa and Nebraska. That made for some fun photo shenanigans.
At various points on the bridge, there were different placards displaying various bits of Native American culture and history. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any pictures of those.
I didn’t stay for long but it was a nice place for a little relaxation.

The Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge boasts a nice, brisk, 10-15 walk from either Nebraska or Iowa to the other. It crosses the Missouri River. I walked from the Nebraska side to the Iowa side. On the banks of Iowa were a few people fishing and a few logs shattered about to sit on to view the water and cabled Bridge. The Bridge is near other attractions (Illuminarium and parks). Great place to jog, check/hang out on a nice day. The highlight is being able to straddle the Stateline on Nebraska and Iowa.

The Old Market is a district situated in the heart of Omaha, Nebraska. It is positioned between South 10th Street and 13th Street to the east and west respectively. The area encompasses Farnam Street to the north, and Jackson Street to the south. This locality boasts numerous high-end retail shops, art galleries, and dining establishments offering sumptuous cuisines for visitors to savor.
The Durham Museum is a historic landmark and fully functional museum that features an abundance of interesting displays and exhibits about Omaha history. Kids will love the train display, which lets them walk through different models of train cars and watch model trains whip around on the tracks. And if you want to take the educational experience even further, the museum offers guided tours and annual summer and winter kids camps.
We went for the Nelson Mandela Exhibit and it was amazing. Such a grand and beautiful building.
Right when you walk in you can see you are in what used to be a train station. There are statues all around to show the past (ex. a woman at the ticket counter, buying a ticket. A couple sitting on the bench saying goodbye after his military leave). It's like a bunch of ghosts of the past. It is so cool!
Even for a Saturday, there was no wait. You just pay at the front and then walk through the museum. There is an existing permanent exhibit that is pretty interesting. The current changing exhibit was absolutely amazing...the Nelson Mandela Exhibit. The history of his life mixed with world history was so interesting and moving.

Extremely nice. Lots to see. Very well kept. Very interesting exhibits. The building itself is just a gem, Wonderful architecture. It was quiet, not many people around so we could take our time and see all the exhibits at our own pace. It was a wonderful afternoon, a couple of hours well spent. The history is just beautifully represented. It's laid out very efficiently, the trains are absolutely astounding. You can walk on them and sit in them. They are a treasure in and of themselves. The entire day was a big A+++....... Air conditioned, quiet, and the price was very reasonable for seniors. It was very reasonable for everybody actually. I highly recommend spending a few hours at the Durham museum, it's well worth the time and the money. Plenty of free parking, and again the building is just astounding, the outside architecture is also very beautiful...

Nice, smaller museum in a historic railroad building. Architecture and design are interesting. The special exhibits that are featured several times a year are always chosen so there's really something of interest for everyone. I recently enjoyed the Downton Abbey costume exhibit with a friend, and will return at a later date with my mom, know she'll love it. Great place for seasonal/rotating art displays and the train is always fun to walk through. The history of Omaha is very in depth elsewhere. We enjoy grabbing a float or malt on the way out to wrap the day up. These pictures were from the Lego and lunchbox exhibits.

Housed in the old train station, this museum is a fun stop for all ages. Lots of trains (both model size and originals you can walk through), history of Nebraska through the ages, and enjoyable temporary exhibits, including currently Lego towers of the world and history of lunchboxes. It’s next-door to the new Amtrak station (so you can see active trains going by out the window at certain times) and is just a short walk from downtown. Walk in and head downstairs straight away for the main sights - have a blast!

This is by far one of the many unique places in Omaha to visit. Train station and a museum that has been well kept and just looks stunning inside. Just to think 10,000 people would walk in and out of their daily back when it was functioning was just wow.
The museum itself has so much history. I loved the exhibits, White Christmas & Julia Child. Almost a dream to see both up close. I have watched the movie since I was a kid and now 37 it was just so awesome to see the outfits and other items they had from the movie.
Julia Child's exhibit was just as awesome. I would highly recommend seeing these exhibits before it's done. Plan to spend a few hours looking at everything and walking through the trains/caboose.

This is a gem of a place in Omaha. The building itself is an exhibit and very well kept. This building is from 1930s and maintained really well. Most of the exhibits are original and has historical significance. The place is usually less crowded and one would have plenty of time to study and go through all the exhibits. The locomotives and train cars are very well kept and will make you think about how our ancestors lived their life.
Bonus: Although this place is in downtown, parking is completely free and it's right in front of the building.

This museum is near and dear to our families hearts. We spent countless hours when the kids were toddlers and my dad who has since passed and he dragged his feet at first for our family outings. It was pure chaos. Every other weekend on Sunday’s was our family day. We would spoil all three children and it was a memory I will never forget. I believe they are working hard to restore the station and make it better than ever. I give kudos to everyone who makes this museum a well oiled machine. From my family to yours, have fun and spend a Sunday or Saturday here. You will not leave disappointed.

Beautiful building! Great museum! Great place to learn a little history about Omaha. Everything was vintage inside the museum which is super cool! Lego exhibit great for the kids. Soda fountain was good experience for us. Staffs were friendly!

Always a great family experience. Having their family pass makes it affordable to visit all the displays. The trains are always a hit to travel back in time. Toytopia is great for adults and kids.

This historical museum was a very pleasant surprise! The beautifully preserved station is impressive, but the museum itself is also quite spacious. There are numerous train cars to explore and a variety of exhibits for all ages. It is an educational and family-friendly way to spend several hours in Omaha.

A great place to visit if you're wanting to learn about Omaha's history. Since I was a little girl, the Durham Museum has been my favorite museum in Omaha, and now as an adult, it remains my favorite. I highly recommend planning a visit with your friends and family, or even as a solo trip. This museum is top tier. 👌🏾

The Durham museum and Union station was fun. The kids enjoyed the trains and the exhibit for toys that was going on. I enjoyed the short film area that talked about Omaha. Gift shop is small and overpriced but all in all on a rainy day you can fill up a few hours easily.

This is a a fabulous museum for everyone, including little kids! Plenty of room for them to wiggle and run, rotating special exhibits that often include a kid-friendly component, very clean bathrooms, kids toy/coloring page area, trains to walk through, model trains to watch, and of course the soda fountain! Visit around Christmas time to enjoy the enormous tree too!

Very nice museum. It's a bit difficult to navigate. Even with the maps, it seems like you have to do a lot of backtracking. Very clean and roomy. The trains were cool to walk through. The Christmas tree was beautiful. Lots of good info on the history of Omaha. Huge coin collection, lots of old items, a few old cars, and the entire building in itself is quite the sight to see.

This is a wonderful Omaha institution. We always have a great time when visiting. Between the traveling exhibits, permanent Omaha exhibits and train cars my kids learn something new every trip. A membership pays for itself over and over.
Located in the heart of Omaha, Lauritzen Gardens is a living museum that features a rose garden and Japanese gardens alongside other seasonal exhibits. The botanical garden also has a festival garden, prairie-inspired bird sanctuary, and reproductions of Nebraska's vast wildflower-filled prairies. Train enthusiasts will love checking out two of the most famous locomotives to ever power Union Pacific Railroad at Lauritzen Gardens.
Me and my family just had an outing at Lawrence and gardens. It's nice that the library has a partnership with them so you can get in free with the library card print the ticket from the website on the library. They have beautiful flowers blooming right now. I love seeing all the different colored flowers and we took the tram which is nice it shows you a lot of the grounds we normally can't walk that far to see. It's nice they have a tram five bucks a person. It's also nice that they have benches everywhere inside and outside to sit on. They have a lot of beautiful blown glass pieces like glass flowers. We can avoid that another sculptures that are all through the gardens.

I love it here! It's beautiful and well maintained. There is a lot to see. There is a trolley but if you want to walk, it is manageable. There are plenty of benches to rest, but not a lot of water stops. I would recommend a visit here if you love plants and flowers. We went in the summer but I am sure Spring and Fall have a different view to offer.

This place is really cool they have different rooms for different climates, it’s a great place to take your kids that ware curious about different types of climates and plants that go with it. They’ll do displays as well, we went while they had there Lego dinosaurs that were built to scale. They even have a coffee shop and a cafe for lunch. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed. This is a great spot for parents who are home schooling as well.

A wonderful place with many beautiful flowers and at times incredible offerings of art and music, miniature trains, and so much more throughout the year as I've tried to share with my photos. That flowers can come in so many different shapes, size, and colors never ceases to amaze me. The artistry and inventiveness of some has the same impact on me. I hope you get a chance to visit there someday; I hope you enjoy it as we have.

Absolutely superb botanical gardens. Very large and diverse park with plenty of shaded areas and well kept paths. The whole park is quiet the walk but they do offer a tram experience so you if walking is difficult you can still experience all the park had to offer. Also has a super neat model train exhibit that is a must see especially if you have kids. Really cool place.

Been there twice, the second visit felt like the first time. I was in love with the place. The ground is perfect for families. Vibrant colors of different flowers and greens fills the huge area. You can walk around under the shades of big trees, see different varieties of rose in the rose garden. The indoor garden showcase tropical plants whole year. The staffs are very friendly.

As an owner of a special nursery & garden center, I have a unique perspective on garden’s one might say. Lauitzen Gardens was enchanting to say the least. What a refreshing, serene setting they have created. A great visit for an individual, a date, the family, a corporate retreat and or a educational experience for a classroom of children. If you are a nature lover, you will LOVE THIS PLACE! A wonderful get away from the city, just minutes from downtown Omaha. The gift shop is cute and quaint with items that reflect whats taking place throughout the gardens. The conservatory is a must see with multiple climatic zones being offered. Start at the top floor with a cup of coffee and meander down though various flora and fauna which represents each climatic zone. Bring your camera as many photo ops exist. I only had a couple of hours to spend and feel I hadn’t even scratched the surface of all that’s available to see. Natives of Nebraska both in herbaceous perennials, woody shrubs and trees are brilliantly represented. Colorful displays of annuals are splashed about to keep one mesmerized. They offer a snack area inside and don’t worry plenty of benches are available if you get tired of walking. They have trams as well for those who prefer to ride vs walking. Have I sold you on this wonderful place yet? I hope so, its one of my new favorite places!!!

One of the nicest and most peaceful places I’ve been to. They have so many variety of flowers and trees. Their greenhouse has really beautiful tropical flowers and tress as well as decorations such as dragons and snakes. Also, they have events going on during holidays which is super fun with the family. I highly recommend this place if you enjoy beautiful scenery.

This was our first time here. The map was helpful but not very clear as where to start walking. As a result we walked along the road when, on the return trip, we discovered there was a sidewalk just few yards away from the road.
It was a bit windy and cool. I will have to come back in the spring time but there is a lot to see and walk around. Great source of relaxing excerises. Will being my camera next time(those photos are off the mobile phone) in the Japan area there were two tripods that were empty but sitting around on a bank which bothered me as to why they would leave something so foreign there near the zen garden. Bathroom, outdoors, was clean and spacious as well as ADA complainant. Wish they had at least one more or maybe even 2 spaces out throughout.
The exit out of the greenhouse to the parking lot was confusing and it almost looked like you had to backtrack through the greenhouse to get out. Could have had better exit signs.
For now a 4 star rating but I see possibilities of this place becoming a 5.

This place is great with walking paths as well as shuttles in case you didn’t want to walk around. There are so many beautiful areas within the gardens that are very serene. There are plenty of seating throughout the area so if you get exhausted, you can take a few breaks around. I say it’s worth visiting again especially when you want to just take a peaceful walk.

Absolutely beautiful gardens. I love that they have eclectic sections along the path that have fun designs- it's not just sorted by different types of flowers, as many places are, but actual themes like the Victorian garden and Japanese-inspired path and things like that. The model train garden was a definite hit- so fun to watch the trains ride the large tracks around trees and flowers. The conservatory was also gorgeous- so calm and inviting. Kenefick park at the top of the hill was small but it was fun to see the giant trains-of-old. I will say they just planted flowers recently, so I bet in late summer the gardens will be full-to-bursting with beauty, so a good time to visit would actually be late July-August to see everything in full bloom.
Rachel Ibes — Google review
Beautiful conservatory and multiple, smaller themed gardens around the grounds (about 1.25 miles of walking to see everything). Some construction underway at the time of my visit (17 SEP 23), but it didn’t really detract from the overall effect. The smaller gardens are a mixed bag, with some exhibiting more design and production work than others, but all are attractive. The model railroad with multiple, running trains was really interesting. There’s an immense amount of outdoor space to grow into, and the construction projects are expanding the facilities to take advantage of some of it. All-in-all, it was a great way to spend a morning.

Not as big as the Botanical Garden I visited in Singapore, but it definitely has its own unique charm that I still do recommend as a must-visit if you find yourself in Omaha. Make sure to smell the flowers!

Sure wish we could of ate are lunches there, but the gal said absolutely not. So don't bring lunches unless it's nice out, because you have to sit outside. The individuals that I work with were very disappointed. As you can tell it was snowing outside and cold.
Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is a world-renowned facility with an expansive collection of animals from around the globe. The zoo features a diverse range of habitats, including an indoor rainforest and desert ecosystem, making it a popular destination for visitors. The zoo is also home to one of the largest collections of wild cats in North America, as well as many other species of fascinating animals.
The zoo is one of our favorite places to go as a family. We always get a yearly membership since we frequent the park so much. What we do is we break our visits down into sections. Since the park is so huge it’s really difficult to cover the whole park and enjoy it at the same time if we do it all at once. This way we do a section we enjoy it we take our time and we have fun. The new sea lions exhibit is definitely our favorite. You completely feel engulfed in the experience and the escape once you enter the exhibit. My son loves to play with the sea lions through the looking glass window observation area. For me this is one of the best exhibits I’ve ever seen at any zoo. We always love to ride the train and the chairlift when they’re open. As a tip bring your own water bottle as things can be quite expensive and they can add it real fast otherwise. Overall, we enjoyed going to the zoo and watching our son engulf himself and all the exhibits.

Always love going here and one of the best things about Omaha, and a must-see if you're not from here! The desert dome is perfect to go in when it's beginning of Spring or in Fall time honestly due to it getting so hot. My boyfriend and I walked the whole zoo in about half a day, being able to enjoy everything and this was when it was still under construction, about mid March. He is from California and says he's likes this zoo way more than San Diego Zoo. We are currently planning to go back sometime, its great experience and exercise!
Recently went with my nanny kids too and they always have a blast when going, mainly stayed in the area with the small 'town' , as they call it, popcorn was great and staff was friendly and quick. A must see is always the aquarium, I will never get over the amazing tunnel of ocean above my head, my nanny kids were happy to see turtles in there.
Thanks for being a great zoo and I can't wait to take my kids someday here.

This was our first time visiting Henry Doorly Zoo and it's the best zoo I've ever been to. There is so much to see and do. We enjoyed riding the carousel and train. It was 97° during our visit and the Alaskan Adventure splash park was a fun end to our day. We loved the Butterfly Pavilion, Desert Dome, Scott Aquarium, and Lied Jungle. Make sure to pack water and snacks as the food is not cheap! Overall, a wonderful experience!

Everyone said you have to check out world class zoo here in Omaha. The experience was good. But when you hyped up about the zoo, you will compare to DC Smithsonian or St. Louis Zoo. I think those are a bit better. So not to take away from the hard working people at the zoo. They offer various sights for animals. But because the was so hot most outdoor animals were not so active. The combining of aquarium and zoo together was a good idea. This is a whole day event for family. As we walked in, there’s no security checking any bags , so you can bring everything into the zoo. Restrooms were in need of improving. The smell of restrooms are ever present around the area. And additional fee apply for feeding giraffes, riding skylift over safari sections and other activities. If you come in early , recommend going to south entrance(main entrance). There were a lot of parking and all free.
Wind Napol — Google review
The Lied Jungle is probably the coolest area. Be sure to check it out early as it closes at 4 pm.
The desert dome is cool, but a very minimal number of animals are actually there. They built a desert inside to make it look authentic. I'd say that's what makes omaha zoo so unique. It's not actually that big, and they don't have a ton of animals, but they did a good job of recreating different environments in which the animals would live.
The aquarium is okay. Part of it was closed when we were there, so we didn't get to experience the whole thing.
The train is cool, but you can't really see any of the animals while riding it because of all the brush overgrowth. You do have to pay extra for the train ride.
The Sea Lion training was neat, but be sure to get there early. The seats fill up fast.

The zoo is fantastic. We've been to many zoos throughout the US and abroad, this one ranks up there with the best ones. The grounds are massive and covering all the exhibits in one day would be challenging. Especially if you have kids with you, then forget about it and just enjoy what you can get to.
The elephant wing and grounds are really good and seeing the babies there was incredible. The steam train was also really fun and a must do. The gorilla pavilion is really cool and well put together. I'm not a big fan of looking at the gorillas because you can clearly see the sadness and sorrow in their eyes... It's sad to see them in captivity.

We love this zoo! we have the passes and they are absolutely worth it! In just 2 visits they pay for themselves!
This zoo allows you to bring in your own food and drink which is just the best and lets us really enjoy the day without cutting it in half as there is just SO much to see!

Absolutely beautiful zoo. Plenty of walking area. Even though it was a rainy day they were misters that are probably amazing in the summer for those hot days. My boyfriend told me they also have splash pads they open in the summer. They were also accommodating for the cold, all the animals were still in viewing areas just brought inside which I’ve never seen at a zoo. Not to mention the aquarium and butterfly garden. Both out of this world some of the best exhibits I’ve ever seen

This is the best zoo experience I’ve ever had. You walk in to each of the sections and it’s like you’re in there with them! All the birds flying around, the monkeys, and otters, and many more are right there! Seeing gorillas in person for the first time was just wild. The aquarium was fun, and just as good as Ripleys. The night time area was the coolest. Walking around on these docks in the dark, hearing and seeing all these animals splashing and moving around you. To top it all off, we saw the tiger. Since we came in winter, we only got to see half the experience, but we will try to return again in summer to see everything!

Absolutely loved the facility. We didn't get to see a lot of the animals we wanted to since we went on a really windy day and went kind of late. Arrived around 1 pm and they close at 6. In the 5 hrs we did get to see a good amount still though. I would recommend going earlier in the day and with a little warmer weather. So much to do and do much to see so make sure you go in the morning if you can. We had a great time still, I'd definitely take the family back if it wasn't a 2 ½ hr drive for us.

The most incredible zoo meant for all ages. Free parking. $25 entrance fee for adults, kids two and under free. Beautiful and well kept. We went on a Saturday during peak hours and saw the Apes, Aquarium, the Jungle, creatures of the night. There is so much to enjoy here. Little nooks to get up close. Plenty of spots to sit down as you’re walking around.

I can easily see why they are overall one of the best zoos in the United States. From the time you enter until the time you leave the customer service is about a 9. If you're having a problem at the kiosk some will walk right over and help you. Most of the exhibits are indoors so you can't really complain about the heat unless you're just a miserable person. The food is definitely over price so make sure you bring a lunch. Make sure you read the signs on the way to the butterfly area it clearly States no strollers are allowed so a lot of people hold the lineup removing kids from the strollers. Just don't go with a bunch of lazy lobsters that want to sit down the whole trip because they do block the view of the kids trying to see the animals. If I lived in Omaha I would definitely have a zoo membership. I enjoyed my trip so I hope you enjoy yours

We loved our day at the zoo! It’s a long walk but totally worth it. The zoo is clean, organized and safe for visitors. The kids (and adults!) were entertained all day. We were impressed at how close we got to some of the animals, especially the tiger and the alligators. Pro tip: the dome has a basement! We missed the stairway the first time through!

This is an amazing zoo.I have been to quite a few zoo's around the US as that is what me and my wife do every anniversary, we visit a zoo or aquarium in a different state each year. I have to say you can spend two days here, the Desert Dome is awesome, and while on the sky safari I gave my wife a new wedding ring set. It was breathtaking. Thank you Omaha Zoo

Absolutely amazing zoo and attractions! Our family spent 3 full days there. We took our time, and saw the entire zoo. This was the first time taking our kids there and they were immersed in everything the entire time. Each day, they were disappointed to have to leave. We bought a membership, that happened to line up with member appreciation week, and it was well worth it. We went on a Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and the crowd wasn't bad. We are already planning another trip!

I used to come here all the time and it has been about 5 years since I was last here. Normally, this place is 5/5 for me. However, with all of the construction inside the zoo and about 50% of the animals present, it’s a 3/5. You’ll find many exhibits are closed and some of the animals missing from the smaller buildings. It doesn’t help that the two food trucks and most of the restaurants were either closed and only sold drinks/chips. I went on a Friday afternoon. Admission prices should be less if they have less to offer the public. Basically a ghost town once you get inside. I recommend not coming here this year.

This zoo is amazing!!! On cold weather days, you still have so many animal enclosures to visit indoors, you can easily stay warm. And on warm days there are plenty of exhibits to see as well. There's a reason this zoo was ranked #1 in all 3 categories last year! Fantastic job @OmahaHenryDoorlyZoo

We didn't make the time to get through the whole zoo due to time, but this zoo is absolutely one of the nicest zoos I've ever been to. The building with the elephants inside, the building with the apes and the dome (especially the underground portion) was an excellent experience. If I ever go back to Omaha for a visit, I'll have to finish my trek through the zoo.
I have been to a handful of zoos across the country, but have never been to one with an underground section mimicking a bat cave with stalagmites/etc., a swamp and more. It was so cool. I only wish I had more time to spend seeing the rest of the zoo.
We happened to be there when the sea lions were getting fed too which was fun to see. Some of the zookeepers had them do tricks for us.

For the price and the hype for "world top ranked zoo", I expected better. Water bowls in many enclosures were very murky, the size of enclosures seemed too small in certain areas (especially in the Desert Dome) and many of the animals looked way too depressed (especially the gorillas and tigers). The Desert Dome was the most disappointing. For such a large dome, the animals were in small enclosures wrapped with netting, and the interior design of the landscape in the dome was just underutilizing the size of the dome, which makes me wonder if the design of the dome just for flexing from the outside. I also definitely did not see 1000+ species of animals as advertised on websites, plus there were a lot of the same animals in different zones. Food options were also terrible for a top ranked zoo. I've visited many other zoos with less to no cost and still had better animal exhibits, much more species of animals, management, and food options (like the free St Louis Zoo, Smithsonian Zoo, Kansas City Zoo and Seattle's Woodland Zoo). Makes me wonder where the $25 per person money goes too....
Despite that, putting the status and price aside, I was still able to have a wonderful time at the zoo. The close experiences with the giraffe and elephant families were an unforgettable experience. Kinda bumped that the Forest Trial was closed during my visit, but the Lied Forest was my favorite exhibit, with an amazing replica of a tropical environment. The zoo can be fully explored within a day if you don't have kids with you and if you fully spend the opening hours in the zoo. I also recommend bringing your own food for lunch.

Often considered one of the best zoo's in the nation and rightly so. This zoo is absolutely top notch. The dessert dome and accompanied cave exhibit under ground are superb. Tons of animal exhibits and a pristine park. Plenty of family friendly restrooms and kid activities to keep the young ones, and parents happy. Every exhibit is a unique experience, don't expect to see it all in one day.

This place is amazing! Being from Orlando and having all the theme parks out expectations tend to be low when visiting places like this BUT let me tell you this place is amazing! We got to 95%of the exhibits in a day but it was tough but worth it! All of the animals were so active and felt so close to you even the lions and tiger!
If you like baseball don't miss the wiffle ball field in the parking lot! Great day of memories made, hopefully we'll make it back another time!

My family voted this was not the #1 zoo that we have been too. It was a great day and we had fun, however the train had a long wait and then once we got on we saw no animals except maybe a couple and then saw a bunch of the back of the zoo. During this train ride they had to fill up so that took time too.
Just walking around we hardly saw any animals. Inside the buildings we did see quite a bit but still feel like it was lacking.
Our favorite part was the giraffe feeding and the sky lift.

Best Zoo, hands down, that we have been to. Everything is spaced out well. You will definitely get your steps in! The day we went, we got to see almost everything. Missed out on the lions and tigers, but got to see favorites like the giraffes and elephants! We spent about 3 hours there. Food establishments were all open, and service everywhere was great. The only problem we had was that there could be more signage as we lost our way a couple of times.

A truly wonderful zoo! You’ll enjoy the diversity of animals and keep in mind you’ll be doing a lot of walking! The aquarium with shark + sea turtle tunnel is a great rest out of the sun. Can buy food inside or bring your own. Really nice gift shop as well and great outing for couples or families. Don’t miss the giraffes (you can even feed them) or the monkeys in Lied Jungle. The gorilla center is top notch too.

I went to the zoo with my girlfriend during the Christmas festival and had a great time. We enjoyed walking around looking at the Christmas lights and hearing Christmas music. We had an absolutely fantastic time here! There is some really cool exhibit design and very interesting species on display. I really liked walking through building with different biomes. I always like free-flying birds and there were some free-flying bats as well! In fact, there were more bat species on display here than any other zoo I've been to. Snakes are always of particular interest to me as someone who works with wildlife and has been working with snakes for 10 years. I was excited to see the Santa Catalina Island rattlesnake here! We all grinned ear to ear seeing beavers since they aren't common in zoos and listening to the staff sitting and feeding them talk about how they're cared for. Lots of arthropods are on display, including a butterfly house, and the aquarium was so fun to walk though too.

There's a reason this is one of the highest rated zoos in the United States. There is so much to do. If you are planning to come during the weekend or summer, it's busy. If you come during the off season, you'll be able to get through the park in one day, but some attractions will be closed.
The food is great, the park is clean, the bathrooms are clean, and the animals are clearly well taken care of.

It advertises itself as the nation's best zoo. I haven't been to enough to confirm or deny it, but I did enjoy my time here. Just be prepared; there is a LOT of walking involved.
You can rent a stroller, wheelchair, or motorized cart for the day at what seemed to be reasonable prices.
The Lied Jungle was my favorite of the attractions, with the Desert Dome a close second. The aquarium was interesting, but the only thing that stands out is the tunnel in which fish will swim overhead. It is a short tunnel.
The animals seemed taken care of, and most seemed to be in appropriate sized enclosures.
The gift shop was largely stuffed animals, as expected for a place for kids. Additionally, they have these pins you can purchase for exactly a dollar. They're large and have an animal on them, I chose the tiger, but they have several options.
Personally I thought security was lacking. To get in, my friend and I merely showed our code on our phones, which they scanned and let us in. No metal detectors, no codes for purses or backpacks. While this makes entering faster, it did make me concerned. Just keep that in mind.
We went on a Saturday (early April, so summer exhibits arent open), so the place was packed with people and children. That said, the lines for everything moved fast and we could see whatever animals we wanted, crowd or no crowd. Don't let the weekend masses deter you.

I really like this zoo. It's environmental friendly and there is animals from all over the world. I would definitely recommend this as number 1 zoo. It's so big you can't visit it in one day. The aquarium is spectacular; you can walk under sharks! There is volunteering opportunities for those fourth grade and up.

My family and I loved this zoo. Our favorite animals were the snow leopards, everything in the aquarium, the giraffes, gorilla, and tiger. The butterfly exhibit was beautiful. The jungle was amazing. I thought it definitely lived up to its reputation. We went through in about 4 hours stopping for a lunch we brought in ourselves. The longest wait we had was about 20 minutes to buy our tickets to get in.
Once you are on the loop, there is really no way to cut through to the entrance again. This is true for the desert dome as well. You are committed to the loop. Maybe if the train is running, it's different, but we were there before the train season. Same for the aviary. I highly recommend this zoo!

I'm from California and have gone to the LA Zoo and San Diego Zoo. The San Diego Zoo has always been my favorite of the two. This Zoo is just as good as the San Diego Zoo if not better. It's a large size with plenty to see and do. Unfortunately, on this specific trip there was quite a few Exhibits closed either for construction and/or for the season. Overall, a great Zoo to visit that will easily take the whole day to look at all the Exhibits and more if the kids area is open and you have little kids to play.
An exciting day out for the whole family is a visit to Horseshoe Council Bluffs, where more than one thousand six hundred slot machines and racing dogs are on offer. Dog races, table games, restaurants and bars are all available in this lively casino complex.
It's getting a bit old, but that doesn't bother me a bit because they have a lot of the old fashioned 3 & 5 reel slot machines. Plenty of the video slots too if that's what you prefer.
I just have one gripe, there's a cafe that says open 24 hours, but it was closed in the wee hours of the morning...we were starved! I'm not sure why casinos aren't offering food 24 hours a day like they used to. Covid is over people.

I was in the area, and thought I would stop in for a few hands of blackjack. All of their tables (except one, that was full) paid 6 to 5 on blackjack instead of the centuries old standard of 3 to 2. This makes playing blackjack worse odds than some slot machines. Anytime you see 6 to 5 blackjack, you should refuse to play, and leave a one star review of the casino. Perhaps they will start offering traditional odds on BJ again if everyone did this.

Asked for a restaurant in the casino and was only told about the Whisky Roadhouse as it was the only one at the establishment by these two red shirt employees. After eating there, it was decent but, not really what we were looking for for a good dinner. Anyway, we started walking around to gamble a little and found a very nice steak house, which was more of what we were looking for, for dinner not a rice bowl and a burger that anyone can get anywhere at any point in time. Either way I had a decent time with my friend from out of town. Next time I will be going to the steak house restaurant to get a great meal.

Everything is all on one floor. Slots are looser compared to Ameristar's. Doesn't feel closterphobic because they have room to spread everything out. My only complaint is there were no drink servers and only one drink station. The restrooms were on the same side as the drink station. Overall, it's not bad.

It was fun . Went late so there wasn't many people. Free pop and coffee. Garage to park in . Clean bathrooms. Lots of slot machines & and card and dice tables. I limed it better when u cashed out and got money instead of a ticket.

Great selection of slot machines and denomination. Great benefits if you have a players card. Large and roomy, one floor. There was a small non-smoking room, but it is now gone, hoping it will come back. Miss the buffet, of course, but the food at JB's is excellent. Have never been to the steakhouse, but you can see the menu and the prices outside the door of the place. Free pop and coffee. There is a hotel attached. Surface and garage parking available, no valet and handicapped parking, is not the greatest. Not enough stalls. Overall, this is a great casino, but just like all casinos, be prepared to lose your money.

Great food, service and games ( when they’re open). Food options close early. Limited table games and poker options open during the week ( which is standard post Covid but nonetheless disappointing). Sometimes takes a while to get service at the only bar that is always open because there’s only 1-2 bartenders serving the entire building. I enjoy it so much more on the weekends when the hustle and bustle of patrons enjoying all the Horseshoe had to offer is available. Still one of my favorite casinos in the country.

Don't get across the river often at all. It was a treat to go with my ride or die. We had fun. From my favorite roulette to the oh so economical penny slots. It was thoroughly entertaining. I am a lucky charm but it's only to others lol

Super fun! Has a lot of character, had a nice winning streak on the big dice craps machine. Customer service was super helpful also getting me upgraded to Platinum status with my veteran ID. Really cool they are linked with Caesars rewards so I can get perks out in Vegas too. Clean machines and friendly bartenders too. Good trip.

Need new chairs for the slots. I was wearing shorts and the chairs pinched my legs. The chair seats were cracked, split or just broken when sitting on the chairs.. Also, I don't know if they need to hire more personnel but the slots machines are dirty, I did not see anyone cleaning. Cigarette ashes, sticky substances, and trash were left on the slot tops. People could get sick from these slots. You have all sorts of people from all over playing these slots. If you don't disinfect your hands constantly you could become sick or spread a disease. I like this casino but it has gone down hill a bit since I was there last. I hope it improves soonest.
sandy campbell — Google review
Some of the slot machines had buttons that were not legible, and the video blackjack game was calibrated incorrectly. What I mean by that is when you selected any one of the 3 special bets, it would be either the one to the right or left. It was never the one selected. Also, their points club makes little to no sense. I think it would be worth it if you spend thousands of dollars but not for the one-off occasional gambler. However, JD's Cafe is pretty decent food and worth the price for the portions you get.

Getting a bit run down, and needing updates. Vistors can be a bit schetchy at late night times. The sports bar is nice, and the newest restaurant as well. Not cheap prices. It's an old river boat casino, so you kinda get what you get.
The service is always top-notch, though. That's a plus.

The security staff are abysmal. There is one named Jen that kicked a friend of mine out for being intoxicated, which was acceptable, but while we were trying to get a ride she told us to get off the property immediately or she was calling the police. When we showed her we were trying, she said we weren't trying hard enough and my friend offered to walk to a neighboring hotel to wait and she told him he couldn't leave or she'd call the cops. All she did was escalate the situation rather than help to solve the problem and cut us a bit of slack for trying to leave and rides being far and few between.

Do not gamble here, especially don’t play 6 deck blackjack. The dealers here always hit 20-21 no matter what. Your better off taking your luck on slots. It’s way rigged against the player, they don’t shuffle there cards by hand, it’s all done by a machine. So if you come here planning to play blackjack do something else.

Machines are tight! This place is disgustingly dirty. Ashes from cigarettes all over the machines. Cups on the slot floor. Trash cans double as ashtrays and are overflowing with cigarette butts. Chairs need updating. Whole place needs updating. The non smoking section is a joke. People constantly walking thru the area smoking. I would not recommend coming to this place.
P&A M — Google review
The iconic name is not in good keeping with what you might expect. The last time I was in a casino this dirty was on a reservation in the middle of nowhere.
Place smells like an ashtray because they don’t manage the air or keep it clean. There’s ashes, dirt and grime on all of the machines, the carpet is stained and stank. I never saw any employees cleaning like you typically would and it shows. Also had red shirt employees cut us off rudely multiple times. Place runs like a two bit operation… never be back…

My wife and I, along with my adult children, went to the Whiskey Roadhouse to see On The Fritz and had a terrific time!
What a glorious location! We arrived at sunset and got to take in the beauty of the scenary. We were greeted with friendly faces and tasty testers. I was a fan of the whites over the reds however many of my group members enjoyed the Red Phoenix and Chamboucin. We were so glad we stayed for trivia night. What a fun way to interact with your loved ones and enjoy a drink. This place is worth checking out!

The vineyard aspect of Soaring Wings shines through in its well-crafted wines. With a variety of options, from rich reds to crisp whites, there's something for every palate. The wines are of excellent quality, and the tasting experience is enhanced by the knowledgeable and friendly staff who are eager to guide you through their offerings. The venue itself is charming and inviting, with an outdoor seating area that offers stunning views of the vineyard. It's the perfect place for a leisurely afternoon with friends or a romantic date night. Live music events and food offerings add to the appeal, making it a well-rounded destination.

We met our friends at Soaring Wings to enjoy an evening outside while listening to the Jimmy Buffet Tribute Band and sipping their wine.
It was a sell put crowd. A gorgeous NEbraska evening . The music was perfect. The crowd was a happy, respectful bunch. The Tastee Food Truck am added treat for a Lincoln girl who grew up in the old Tastee neighborhood.
This venue is such a treasure . We looked out upon Nebraska fields and vineyards.
Next time I bet they bring in a few more food trucks!

Went to visit the winery today.
They have a huge patio to sit on.
Their sampling is a great deal at $8 for 5 samples. The person pouring did generous pours. It also includes a souvenir glass. I think they are confident that if you do a tasting you will buy. My friends who has been all over France visiting vineyards was very pleased with this one.
One bad thing was, no bar stools at the bar. So if you want to hang out there you need to stand.
We went on a beautiful day. It was good times. The baguette might take awhile, but it was served warm. Block of cheese was really big. You order what you want and they give you a cutting board, knife and a basket with some paper plates.
They also have a number of beers that they produce.

Refuge for the feeding & breeding of waterfowl & bald eagles with viewing platforms & nature trails.

Traveling thru the area for work so I stopped here for a visit.
This time of year Loess Bluffs is a giant resting stop for waterfowl on their Northern migrations back to Canada to nest on the tundra and northern reaches of the US.
The visitor center is very informative about the property and how it has been developed over the years.
The pic of the wings in a tree are from watching a Rough Legged Hawk pick them and fly up into the tree to feed. Just couldn't get a close pic of the feeding.
There is a 10 mile auto tour road around the area so you can view Lesser Snow Geese, Blue Geese, Trumpeter Swans, and several different kinds of ducks in late winter.
Bald Eagles are present. Juveniles and nesting adults take advantage of this winged feast.
There are plenty of places to stop and observe along the route. Also a GREAT handicap access ramp for viewing and it goes right to the waters edge.
Check out the pics and short videos I will post and like them if you think they aree good.
Don't miss this area to visit.

Made my first visit here and couldn't have come away more impressed !! I pulled in a saw a bald eagle in the first 5 minutes and I knew it was going to be a good day !! Soon there were eagles everywhere I looked. On the bird count published the next day, the eagle count was over 700 ! If you're a nature lover like myself, you won't be disappointed...especially this time of year. There were probably a couple thousand trumpeter swans on my visit as well. Awesome place !!

Generally speaking nice place and I'm sure the visitors center is interesting. My issue is the rounded curb on the sidewalk where the handrails used to be installed......spray paint it a bright color so people might be warned about the rounded shape. My husband rolled his ankle on it and down he went. Luckily just scaped a knee and palm and torn jeans.

After that we took the car tour where there were several stations set up with more conservationists and info about the animals found in the region.

The Glore Psychiatric Museum is an unusual and fascinating attraction dedicated to the history of mental healthcare. It spans four floors and showcases a vast collection of surgical tools, equipment, and artwork created by asylum patients. Along with its displays on the specific museum's history, it examines psychiatric care throughout history in general. While there are smaller companion museums nearby, visitors should prepare to spend at least three hours exploring this informative and intriguing site.
What an incredibly unique and interesting place! I was expecting something smaller, but this is four floors of relics and stories from the history of psychiatric care in general as well as the history of this specific psychiatric museum. Definitely worth the price of admission, and I highly recommend it to everyone!

A great collection of asylum artifacts and a couple other collections added in as well.
The artifacts did a great job of telling the tale of the asylum over time and really bringing to life some of the experiences of patients and staff.
For those who fancy learning about psychology or psychiatry it was a great way to see some of tools and equipment up close and really take in some atmosphere.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. The gift shop has some interesting offerings beyond the typical generic offerings seen most places.
The other attached collections are well worth the time, and contained some great pieces tying in to local history and reflecting on the events of national importance.

The history of the museum revealed some horrible treatment methods utilized by physicians in the past. The museum houses a very detailed collection of medical and physical evidence of how mental health was addressed in the past. It is still frightening to think that women, and men , were once institutionalized simply because they spoke their minds or “danced to the beat of their own drums”.. Admission fee was $10.00 for us , but rates were lower for children and senior citizens.
Lisa Holley — Google review
Lots to read and provided a great look back as to how we've treated mental health in recent history. I'm a psychologist and the visit was one of my favorite activities on the trip. My husband enjoyed it, but not as much. Staff was friendly and helpful, but a bit strange. ;)

The museum had a lot of information, and we spent a couple of hours walking around. There was a lot of new information that surprised us. The front desk clerk wasn't exactly friendly, but we might have just caught her on an off day. We would recommend for adults and teens.
Note to management: the pond outside needs maintenance. The fish's water is dirt and not pump isn't working. The filter is clogged and needs to be cleaned.
Kristy C — Google review
Equal parts interesting, creepy, and saddening. So glad this museum is open to the public to see how previous mental health treatment was like. It occurred to me while exploring that we just never really know what’s better until something new comes along. I felt so much empathy for the patients that had to endure some unusual and somewhat brutal forms of therapy because their mental health condition was not yet fully understood. We are in a much better place today for treatments and I am so grateful. In the future there will likely be improved methods, but at least we are making efforts to become aware. This experience is so unique!

Awesome place that I visited when I was 12 and made my hubby stop with me at on our way home at 33. Even after 21 years the place still looks virtually the same. Love the entire experience, and I feel like it has been updated a bit to fit the times. My favorite part was the psych artifacts and the African American exhibit. They say it takes 1.5 hours to go thru...but I felt like I was rushing it and we spent over 2 hours! Loved it and thank you!

The Pony Express National Museum showcases the historical cross-country delivery service through skilled riders on horseback in the 1860s. The museum features impressive exhibits that highlight the challenges faced by these legendary riders, who transported mail from St Joe to Sacramento. Historian Gary Westcott delivered an exceptional presentation on the history of Lake Contrary, drawing a large crowd to Tuesday Night Talks, which were held later than usual this year in Spring.

A super cool historical site! You get a great history of the Pony Express with some Westward expansion tucked in. There was an original hand-dug well kids can pump water from, and lots of other hands-on exhibits. There is also a fantastic little kid's room. You can even see some of the original foundations. It is cool that part of the building is original as well. We really enjoyed our time here.

We took our 2 yo and 1 yo (both well behaved). Both the men’s and ladies bathrooms have changing tables and VERY clean. Our kids loved finding all the horses and enjoyed trying to do the pump to water the cows. Which gave us a moment to read what was around us. And we LOVED the kids play room! Oh goodness the play room was clean and well kept and so cute! They also have stamps and crayon scratching the kids can do. Overall it was so much fun and our kids loved it!

Very much worth the visit. Several visitors from far off states. I found it to be interesting and complete. Next stop is the Jesse James Home Museum.
The Patee House Museum and Jesse James Homes is a well-organized showcase of Western artifacts that serves as the former Pony Express headquarters and Civil War Union outpost. The museum features an impressive exhibit on the Pony Express and a Main Street walkthrough, providing visitors with a glimpse into what life was like during that era. To fully appreciate the exhibits, one must take their time to read through each description. Visitors can explore multiple levels via an elevator while enjoying the Pantee Carosel.

We wanted to visit the Patee House. When we entered we were told: Sorry, we'll be closing IN 15 MINUTES! Well, then I wanted at least watch one or the other in a quick run while my wife sat down on the "horn couch" and waited for me. So I only wanted to pay one entrance fee, but the lady at the register took $14 from my VISA card for two people. I was back in 14.5 minutes only to be told I had half an hour left! ?!?!?

Patee house was probably a nice museum, the staff was so rude, we drove 90 minutes to see this, arrived 30 minutes before close, and they advertised 4pm closing, it closes at 3:45pm, you are warned, we needed the restroom when we got there, she said that's for paying customers only, of course we pay at all places we go and donate generously, we love history. Terrible woman and this place in a VERY scary neighborhood, lock your car. It is a well kept museum. We ran through in about 10 after a 5 minute bathroom break.

Excellent museum of the old midwest. Old hotel, original headquarters of the Pony Express. Every display is a collection of different regions historical artifacts. For example, one room is Walter Cronkite's fathers dental office. Walter Cronkite was born in St. Joseph and his grandfather and father were dentists there. They recently opened the 3rd floor so you can see the original hotel rooms. Second time here, did not pay the extra $ to see Jessy James house this time.

Well worth the $8 per person for my wife and I. We spent over 2 hours walking around and reading the many, many exhibits. We just came to St. Joseph for a little getaway for a couple of day, and I am so glad we chose to go through this museum. It gives you a great feel for the history of the whole town and area not just the building. Also some great western history in general.
Also, it is really well kept up. Kudos to the association. It is in a part of town (we walked all through downtown) that is fairly run down, but the museum is fantastically well kept.

Memorabilia & historical exhibits about famed aviator Amelia Earhart in her early-childhood home.
It was an amazing experience for me. I have always had an attraction to the legacy of Amelia Earhart and being in her childhood home was inspiring. Looking out the same window that she did overlooking the Missouri River was a peaceful moment.

This was a really nice museum based around a really famous woman pilot. Amelia Earhart was one of the most ambitious and courageous persons of the 20th century. This place tells her story of birth through her disappearance. It's a small museum and you can spend less than an hour here. I do wish they had guides, but financially, this may not be possible for this size of a museum. They do, however, have QR codes that help your tour along. It's definitely a place to stop and see if you like history. Very kid friendly.

My 6 year old enjoyed the scavenger hunt/bingo that they provided an because she was able to find everything she got three prices at the end. The staff were very friendly and informative.
Not very busy first thing in the morning on a Saturday. Tickets were very reasonable. Spent about an hour exploring the home.

Such a cool piece of history to learn about.
Construction of Amelia Earhart's birthplace and childhood home, located at 223 N. Terrace, initially began in 1861. The wood-frame, Gothic Revival cottage is perched high on the west bank of the scenic Missouri River.
Amelia was born in the home on July 24, 1897, to Edwin Stanton Earhart and Amy Otis Earhart. Despite living in many different cities, Amelia considered Atchison her hometown, having spent more of her life in the Otis home than anywhere else. The Amelia Earhart Birthplace represents the most tangible remaining link with the famous female aviator.
Dr. Eugene J. Bribach of Atchison, contributed $100,000 to The Ninety-Nines, an International Organization of Women Pilots (to which Amelia not only belonged but also served as their inaugural president) to assist with the purchase and maintenance of the home.
WHAT IS OUR MISSION?
To preserve the history of Amelia Earhart
To honor and recognize the contributions women have made in aeronautics
To educate and relate these histories and courageous exploits through local and online exhibits, activities, and events
DEDICATION
We, the Ninety-Nines, Inc., and the citizens of Atchison, Kansas dedicate the Amelia Earhart Birthplace to this generation and future generations as a museum. We will continue to restore and preserve the home to the period when Amelia lived here, and to portray her life and those of other women aviators.

This was a really great experience and so informative. The house itself is amazing to see and feels like a step back in time. There is a lot of information on Amelia and her life as well as mention of her family and how her hometown of Atchison and her family life helped shape the Woman she became. The QR codes for audio your was an unexpected and enjoyed addition allowing us to explore at our own pace and the ladies working on Saturday July 2nd were outstanding and informative.

With an inspiring evening view looking eastward across the muddy Missouri River and an expansive floodplain agricultural zone, Amelia Earhart‘s birthplace is a sight to behold. Perched high atop, a western Bluff, this well preserved home features stained glass windows on its western flank. I visited the home while traveling northward on the Glacial Hills Scenic Byway in the far north east corner of the state of Kansas. President Abraham Lincoln had visited this stretch of land in one of his campaigns, stopping at Leavenworth, Atchison, and Troy, in what would prove to be a history making western foray. Touring the grounds and surveying the Majestic view of the Missouri left me feeling nostalgic, and somehow strangely at home in this once bustling Rivertown, on the cusp of greatness.

A true gem. This home, now owned & operated by The Ninety-Nines, is where Amelia Earhart was born.
The home itself is in excellent condition and is beautiful.
The collection of artifacts truly connects you with Amelia.
Must stop here!!!
We took a great tour today. Our favorite dairy brand, so it was neat to see. It's a relatively quick tour & an amazingly small farm for what they get out of it. Great to see a local, family owned business going strong.

Customer service won’t answer and I have been on their waitlist for literally one month.
Edit: After 3 months I finally got ahold of someone who wasn’t eager to tell me “no.” They apologized and said my address was put in incorrectly. I have been enjoying their service ever since.

I absolutely love this place but I really really hope they change the "new chocolate milk" back to making it the old way! The new way is awful. We really really loved it the old way, and got it Alot. The staff is very very friendly and helpful and love the dog! The cheese curds and butters ( have tried them all!) are delicious! I even love the jalapeno mustard. But mannnnn the new chocolate milk may ruin going there for us

Worst customer experience for a company I have ever done business with. I’ve been receiving deliveries with this company for several years and in the beginning it was good but it seems the business is being run very unprofessionally and poorly at this point. As a small business owner myself I am appalled at the blatant disrespect from this company. If I could give a lower rating I would. My advice… find a different company to support.
Beth Gansereit — Google review
Horrible customer service. Have spent over 1000 dollars with them and continue to not return calls and or emails until days later when order is already processed out for delivery. Then tell me that I need to speak to owner before they can continue service. Won’t be referring anyone and will be sharing with everyone

I want to start out by telling you how much I appreciate the opportunity to have the milk man deliver to my home! My kids and I look forward every week to seeing the truck pull up and go see what treasures are in the cooler awaiting us!
There is tons of options, including flavored milk and even things you would need in a quick hurry or because you are quarantined at home!
Pirtle Winery, a family-owned establishment founded in 1978 located in a historic church, is a must-visit attraction in Weston. The winery offers tours and tastings for visitors to indulge in their various dessert wines at reasonable prices. Visitors can try as many wines as they want before taking home their favorite bottle. Pirtle Winery also caters to pet lovers by providing water bowls for dogs who accompany their owners on hikes.
Pirtle is our #1 stop in Weston (usually followed by Green Dirt Farm) after a morning/afternoon of hiking. The staff is always extremely kind and caring. Recently we finished hiking with our dog and came here and they offered us a water bowl for our dog. It is small touches like this that make this place great. You can’t go wrong with a wine slushy when it is hot. Before you leave make sure you grab a bottle to take home- Alhambra would be my suggestion if you like reds!

My favorite winery in the area. Always a must stop when I come back to the Kansas City area. The Raspberry Meade is so jammy and delicious. Sabrina is always great to lead a tasting..she’s also quite funny. I always leave with several bottles. Weston is such a charming town. Highly recommend for friends and couples alike.

Carrie is amazing! An elderly lady came in needing wine and Carrie came downstairs to help her. We’re here most Sunday fundays and Carrie is always onsite to help. Pirtle is gorgeous inside and out. A must stop in weston. On busy weekends you can park at O’Malley’s and walk across the street. You won’t be disappointed! Mellow red is our fave.

Fun location, good wine. Would give 5 stars if not for the awful customer service we experienced there Saturday. We went to the winery for my best friends birthday, granted it was a large party but she had called ahead of time and made arrangements. There was one lady working there who scolded my best friend’s brother for getting a drink from the cooler that we were told to get drinks from? She went to reach in on the other side as he was and then proceeded to yell at him in front of the whole winery. My friend said to another worker, “I didn’t know we couldn’t get drinks out of there” to which the other worker said “no, you can it’s okay” so I’m not sure where the confusion was on that, but still no reason at all to yell at a paying customer for a miscommunication.
We also ordered the picnic basket and we were cutting the the cheese and apple with knife and cutting board provided and the same lady that scolded my friends brother came up and rudely yelled at us again. “You can’t do that here. You can’t cut that on this table. there’s standing room downstairs.” We were confused and taken aback considering we had let them know ahead of time we would be coming and spent money doing tastings and buying their picnic basket.
Again, great wine and atmosphere but this one worker really ruined our whole experience and we left talking about the rudeness of this woman rather than the great wine. Bummer.

Doesn't get much better than Pirtle Winery on a sunny 74 degree day in Weston Missouri. The staff is always helpful and patient helping people take out their favorite wine for the afternoon work for the week. Have a bottle there. Take a bottle to go. The little food trays you can get are pretty cheap for how much food you get and worth every penny. Highly recommend stopping their next time you are in Weston Missouri. Shops are just a couple blocks away. What a Charming little Village! Thank you for the winery. We love coming here every year!

The most crowd pleasing wine! I've been coming here for years and it only gets better. Make it a day not a few hours, lots of patio seating and a really good cheese board to sit and enjoy your wine in the "secrete garden" or the back patio. I bring a bottle of Mellow Red to every event or party I go to. The bottle is always empty and wishing I brought more. Great place to do wine tasting and on Saturdays they always have plenty of people working so rarely is there a wait.
Holladay Distillery, founded in 1856, offers a fascinating journey into the history of American distilling. Located in Weston, Missouri on land charted by Lewis and Clark, the distillery's limestone springs are perfect for bourbon production. As the oldest continuously operating distillery in the country, Holladay Distillery provides tours of its historic buildings and a tasting room for visitors to experience its rich heritage firsthand.

Enjoyed perfect weather for our distillery visit.
Purchased both a bottle of bourbon & gin. Even though there were many people at the distillery it was easy to find a relaxing space due to the multiple seating areas provided- inside, deck or outside amongst the shade trees. Don't forget to pop into the gift store. Fantastic bourbon, cheers!

This is a beautiful distillery, and the liquor was very good. I enjoyed the drinks I got at the bar. I had a whiskey sour and an old fashioned. The staff were all lovely, and very polite. The Irish cream is the best I've ever had. The tour was lovely, however I had a difficult time hearing the tour guide. I liked the tour for the lovely views, but honestly I only caught about half of what she said. I would recommend this distillery. My friend and I had a great time overall.

We traveled from North Carolina to Weston, MO, to visit the Holladay Distillery this past weekend - definitely worth the trip, and we look forward to returning! We attended the "Masters of Whiskey & The Wild West" event at Holladay Distillery on Friday night, and then did the distillery tour on Saturday with our kids. Both events were fun, well organized, informative, and in a beautiful setting in Weston, MO. Follow the Holladay Distillery on facebook and Instagram for upcoming special events, and listen to the "Holladay Happy Hour" podcast (always fun to hear the latest from the distillery, and make sure you listen to the episode about Five Farms Irish Cream - entertaining & will make you want to find some Five Farms Irish Cream asap!). When you visit the distillery, plan to arrive early (or stay after the tour) & enjoy a drink, play lawn games, and check out the views. We highly recommend visiting Holladay Distillery and the town of Weston - lots to see & do in the area.
We stayed at the Hatchery House in Weston - just 5 minutes away by car. Fabulous bed & breakfast, and was once the home of Ben Holladay, the "Stagecoach King"!

I go to a lot of distilleries. On a business trip. Tasted some Holladay recently and enjoyed it so came here to see what I might pick up. I didn't enjoy that I drove 40 miles to be told the tasting experience is down town. Have to buy full shots to try anything. I picked a couple but was disappointed. Not worth the trip. Offered tasting options on things not available to buy. Nope.

We visited KC on a trip from the UK whilst visiting friends. One thing planned was a trip out to the Bourbon Distillery for a tour. Honestly, I went in dreading as I don't drink alcohol the majority of the time, not a fan of whiskey either....but I came away loving the experience! Our tour guide knew so much, was informative and went at a pace that wasn't rushed, but also not standing around the same place for ages. There's a bar and gift shop on site with a lovely lounge area whilst you wait for your tour to start. We also loved the old truck parked up outside which provided plenty of photo opportunities! I also very much enjoyed their Irish Cream Liquor!

Took part in the bourbon tasting and brunch. Solid day as we spent hours here. Lots of drink choices, brunch was delicious and mixologists from all over KC for us to sample their signature bourbon mixes using Holladay bourbon (naturally). I hope this becomes an annual tradition - haven’t been this relaxed and enjoyed such a time in quite a few years.

Holladay Distillery is a lovely gem out in Weston. I’ve been on their tour multiple times and brought locals and visitors. The tour is historical and engaging. If you go during the week, it’s less crowded and you can hand select which spirits you want to try. Anything additional is 25 cents a shot. On the weekends they have popcorn, hotdogs and cotton candy for the larger crowds. When you tour on the weekend, they hand select which three spirits you will be trying. I genuinely enjoy all of their products. I recommend you try the Irish cream and for those who like their drinks strong, try their triple crown.
Century-old carousels, organs & related exhibits, plus tours & rides, in a large indoor space.
So many fun times, sooo many memories. Every time we go here, it puts a smile on my baby girls face and also mine. This is for sure someplace you need to stop and check out if you are in Leavenworth with so much history of our town and also Carousels in the United States. The volunteers are always so sweet and willing to share their knowledge of the museum.

The museum is really cool! They host a children’s shopping event every year at Christmas time with all sorts of activities for kids ages 3-13 (I believe). Then after the kids shop they get to ride on the Carousel. This Carousel is special to us, and our family loves it! Small kids may benefit from an adult joining them because it goes fast!

Do have a super clean bathroom with changing table! The museum is so fun and even my two year old thought it was amazing to see all the beautiful horses. It is a blue star program so during the summer the museum was free for our family. But we will be back even past that to ride that beautiful carousel again! It is a great place for rainy weather or if it is to hot! The price to ride is cheap because it is a long ride and way faster then normal carousels so watch out 🤣. You can even get 20 rides for $20 and if you don’t use them all you can bring it back next time. My husband and I loved the history and beauty and the kids loved the fun!!!

Absolutely fantastic! From the movie, to the exhibits, to the wonderful working carousel, this museum is a delight. It really is a great little piece of American history/Americana. Good size room with the window view of the carousel. I love that you get 30 minutes before and after your reserved time. Used for setting up and cleaning up. Most places charge you for the set up and clean up time. Will use this venue again. P.S the carousel is fun goes fast even adults can ride.

Fantastic experience! The heart and soul that is poured into the restoration and preservation of the carousels and the horses is so evident. Jerry was a wonderful guide and the ride at the end of the tour was just the cherry on top!
Anita Marlett (GO the Flamingo) — Google review
A small museum, the tour is now (as a result of the pandemic) a self guided affair with QR codes to tell you more about the carousel animals and a tour sheet that suggests a best route to enjoy the museum. A tour includes a ride on one of the two working carousels. The tickets to ride a very reasonable so if the kids want to go again, let them! The main carousel also has some unique features like a lover's barrel and the horses are more spring-like in their motion. In addition to the two intact Parker Carousels, they have one of the oldest known intact carousels in the United States (not rideable due to is being nearly 200 years old).
Wonderful winery!! I went with my husband several days ago and we had an amazing time. There was a great selection of dry and sweet wines. We also got a pepperoni pizza that was out of this world. It was spacious inside and we had plenty of room for us and also for our baby in his stroller. I would definitely recommend coming here!

As a wedding photographer, Ladoga Ridge is one of my favorite places I've been to for an engagement photo session. The winery grounds are gorgeous and photogenic, especially the vineyard rows, and the staff there couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating! I'm a photographer, not a wine connoisseur, but I love the wine too and it's incredibly reasonably priced compared to other local wineries I've visited. I've been back several times just to hangout and enjoy the winery.

!! Please read !! This place was cute and quaint. The wine selection and slushees were amazing. BBQ and charcuterie board were so good. Our group had fun and we supported our local winery, until it was cut short. We had our 4 month old baby with us sitting at the outside table and we didn’t realize that minors were not allowed. Our fault for not noticing the “signs posted everywhere” . I just wish the approach of the male staff who kicked us out was a little bit nicer. All in all it was our fault as guests we did not notice the signs, but the gentleman that kicked us out could have been a bit kinder. Will return (without children). Would give it four stars but can’t bring myself to do so because of the amazing service we received up until then.

Really neat little historical spot. The short film was interesting and gave good context for the rest of the tour. The museum was full of cool artifacts that me and my family enjoyed checking out. Very interesting learned alot about the famous/infamous outlaw. If your looking for something to do and love history as well as outlaw stories you'll love it here. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable. Only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because you couldn't go in the farmhouse as suggested by people you could only look through the windows BUT still fun and not very far away

The tour started with a 20 minute informative video that gave a great background to who Jesse James and his family was. Then we walked through the museum that was filled with tons of information and great artifacts. Then we walked around the house, outhouse, and slave quarters. Our tour guide Brenda followed us out there and gave an amazing background and was so kind! She knew so much about the site and answered all of our questions with great understanding. Our family of 6 had a great time and recommend this to anyone with a love for history! You can’t go into the home due to past issues with vandalism but the viewing areas give a great view! Special shoutout to every staff person we interacted with- they were all kind and helpful!! Cost is adults are $9, kids are $5.50 and seniors are $8!

My son has a research paper on a famous Missourian. We chose Jesse James because we might be related somehow distantly and we had already been to one of his hideouts over the summer, meramec caverns. Plus everyone's probably going to do Truman or Mark Twain.
We got so much Hands-On experience! Met so many amazing people. We got bought a book and got to have it signed because it happened to be the 200 year anniversary of the cabin the author was there and Jesse James great-granddaughter!
All the workers were so helpful and loved that my son was doing a research project. They made sure to give him pointers on what to see and who to talk to! We had a blast! So worth the nine bucks!! Zane was actually free (eight and under are free.)

This was very fun and interesting. My uncle was working for the county and was one of the men that went to the Jesse James Farm and bought it from his relatives to make it into the museum that it is today my great great grandmother lived right across the street from Jesse James went to school with him when they were little and took the American flag and made into a shirt for him. She later went to jail for doing it.

Stopped on our way home to get out and take a break. This place was a great way to spend some time at and the staff were fantastic. The area is beautiful and they have made excellent walking paths that guide you along the different sites. The museum part has a lot of things in it and was very informative. It’s well worth the stop. We did the self guided tour per our request as we have a special needs son that likes to wander about at his own pace, but the staff appeared to also be giving tours as well and made a point to ask if we had questions about anything while they were with another group of people.

It was cold and windy the day I stopped. I was passing through the state so I didn't have my choice of days. I appreciated that I could see the house from the parking lot without having to pay.
Will definitely go back in nicer weather and pay to tour the little museum and walk around the house.

We almost did not visit here as we arrived early in the morning before the official opening. Please note there no safe place to park nearby if the property gates are locked. We went to see some other things and then realized we were still close by and it was now open. The entry fee is not cheap. However, if you have at least a minimum interest in USA Western History the admission price is well worth it. Do not forget to buy an "authentic" stone from Jesse James' "grave". The museum is much bigger and detailed than the size of the building housing it suggests. The gift shop is very complete and sells many history guidebooks. It was very wet and drizzly day. This did not hinder the staff from giving us a very good tour of the James family farmstead.
We visited May 2023.

I came here the other day with friends and it was really interesting and informative! It gives a complete history of the Hall of Waters when it was a health and wellness spa and with lots of information to read, and also the spa area you can explore and check out which looks pretty awesome! The place is also a perfect example of Art Deco style with really cool Mayan influences! The only negative thing I can say is that you can’t actually try or see any of the waters because the springs have been shut off for now! That was very disappointing because I would love to be able to try these “healing” waters!!

Not a lot to see, I think they've shut part of it to the public due to safety concerns, but still a fascinating place! History and architecture on beautiful display. It's a great 20 minute stop when you're in town!

The building was long ago converted into city hall and while the structure is still there, you have no access to the real historic portions, including the pool and the large water bar (the cool-looking room in the photos), which has been mothballed and is falling into disrepair. You can see it in it's dilapidated condition from the second floor balcony.
The city hall workers seem put out by guests in the building (so sorry we went out of our way to visit), there is no signage leading you to a small, sad museum on the second floor, and the city doesn't seem to care about the history that made it a destination many decades ago.
Maybe worth stopping by if you're that interested in history and are already planning a trip through town, but otherwise don't bother.

Beautiful place, and very intriguing history. I wish the whole building was open to the public and the springs were still accessible.

The Hall of Waters sits in the heart of the downtown of Excelsior Springs. A WPA Project, cost for the building at the time was the most expensive in the country, at one million dollars. The building now acts as the City Hall and also houses the community’s visitors center. The community is currently in the process of trying to save the building and restore the space economically through tourism and business. It has been recognized by the National Trust as a space needed to be saved.

Fantastic art deco building with Mayan style. The museum is great and fun . The downtown area in this small town is charming .

Such a cool building full of history. Go check out the museum. If you want to see more of it though go during the week. Some of it is closed on the weekends.

Very interesting history and architecture. But, if you expect to see actual water in the Hall of Waters, you're going to be a bit disappointed. This might change in the future. Seems like they were interested in restarting some of the wells, but right now, all they have is the architecture and the history panels.

The Hall of Waters is loaded with retrospective photographs and dioramas. I found the staff person helpful and well-informed. This place has lots of history to learn, also. They’re trying to bring back actual mineral water sales, too. I support!

If you like Art Deco and water go here. What an incredible specimen. Really, really wish I could see this place in its heyday. Wowzers.

Such a historic and beautiful building. We came last weekend for The Fly over BBQ Contest and saw an amazing band "The Backroad Navigators" that Friday, on the steps of the Hall of Waters. Despite the warm weather, the staff and events were wonderful !

Really cool place to visit. Seems like bit of a missed opportunity, they should have some water features to simulate what it was like in the old times. The empty pool is just sad.

Such amazing history here. I'm glad to see it has been preserved for others to see. Take your time and read up. Lots of info to learn and see here.

The Hall of Waters is significantly geologically, commercially and medically as the site of the first spring water discovered in 1880, the Siloam Spring. At that time, it was the only natural supply of ferro-manganese mineral water in the United States and one of only five known worldwide. Truly such a beautiful site to see, if you are near you need to see this beautiful building, and definitely bring the kids for a decent history tour and little museum experience that will definitely make a memory that will last even though it’s a small 15 minute experience.
