Bathtub Beach is a family-friendly destination with a unique feature - during low tide, the reef creates a shallow pool resembling a bathtub. This makes it an ideal spot for young kids and those who want to swim without worrying about the tide. The beach offers limited parking but provides amenities such as a gazebo, shower, and bathroom. Additionally, Bathtub Beach is handicap accessible with designated parking and wheelchair-accessible sidewalks leading to an overlook pavilion and sun deck.
Bathtub beach is awesome if you have young kids or want to go into the water and not worry about the tide. The reef is a great barrier and during low tide creates a shallow pool, which is why it is named bathtub beach. Parking is very difficult most days and is very limited. It does have a gazebo, one shower, and a bathroom.
Chad Rockefeller — Google review
One of my favourite beaches. It gets its name due to an area that is corrderned off by a coral reef. So the swim area is warm and you are able to walk out quite far. Safe for the kids to enjoy playing in the water. 😊
NOTE: At this time the bathtub is temporarily closed for restructuring.
Shari Lawder — Google review
Beach is wide with hilly beach. Sand is coarse (shells). Very clean. Sections of the beach have nice shallow waters for children so it's very popular. Also near the very end of Hutchinson Island. A rock reef off shore breaks with waves ... Very pretty.
Linda Crook — Google review
One of my favorite beaches. When the tide is low, you can appreciate the shallow water and small pools are formed making it safer for young children. Water visibility also becomes crystal clear. Great beach to find all size shells.
earthzen — Google review
Beach and parking were closed for construction due to damage from a prior storm. Beach used to be great. The are paths to access the west side of the strip of land in that area, which is great for watching the sunset.

A Handicap accessible beach!! YES, YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY! There’s parking with sidewalks accessible for wheelchairs. There’s an handicap accessible overlook with a pavilion and sun deck. The beach is perfect for new and casual swimmers. The reef creates a lovely pool and sandbar.
Brian P — Google review
Found my new get-a-way beach. This great little beach is tucked away from other busy beaches. The ocean was the perfect temperature and the sand was clean and soft. It was not crowded which is nice and there were family with children enjoying the serenity of the peaceful shore.
Plenty of lifeguards to ensure the safety of visitors, showers to wash off and a wooden gazebo where you can sit and have a nice lunch. Parking is limited so get there early. I've read that its a nice place to snorkel but unfortunately the ocean was rough today due to yesterday's storm but I'll be back. Bring the family, pack a lunch and come enjoy one of the best kept secrets on the treasure coast .
Torch Reviews — Google review
Supposably this is a great beach for snorkeling, but it looked like it got hammered from a hurricane this year. A lot of erosion. There was a purple and a yellow flag up so we didn't go in. The Purple flag is because there is some creatures in the water you shouldn't be swimming with like sharks or jellyfish. Yellow flag is usually a rip tide or rough water. Maybe we'll try again next trip.

Outstanding! 🤩🏖️ It's a beautiful place. We were in the beach and on the sand bar in that area too. We bring the dogs on the boat and enjoy all aspects of Beach life. Sandy, quieter than most popular beaches, water is lovely too.
Enjoy!!

Found a late bloomer! This baby green sea turtle was struggling on the shore & I rescued him! FL FWC officer came & took it to the marine wildlife rehabilitation. Then I found this huge shell! What a wonderful beach, even on a cloudy & cold day!
Rosemary Daniels — Google review
Beautiful beach with reefs for snorkeling. Also nice for families with small children and floating in the calm water.
Today, there were several sharks seen and the life guards got everyone out a few times for safety.

This beach gets packed. It’s BEAUTIFUL. The water is warm. Be careful because there are rocks on the ocean floor. It’s in the back of the Marriott resort. Many don’t know it’s here but those that do, know it’s value.
McCarthy's Wildlife Sanctuary is a refuge for more than 170 animals. They offer guided tours and interactive programs for children, but reservations are required. The animals appear to be well-kept and healthy, and the staff are organized and friendly. Restrooms are available on-site, but visitors must be escorted if they need to use them during a tour. Guests must stay with the group at all times and touching or handling the animals is allowed at their own risk as stated by signage in the area.
We had Such an awesome experience today at the McCarthys wildlife sanctuary. I highly recommend it. We took a two hour guided tour and learned so much about all the animals. Our guide was awesome. You can tell she loves the animals. They are all well cared for and their habitats are all clean. Thank you, we will be back again.
Andrea Braunstein — Google review
We had the best time! Jeremy was our guide and he made the tour so much fun and educational! My three boys LOVED being able to learn about the animals at the sanctuary and interact with them! We can tell that Jeremy sincerely loves and cares about the animals there. The enclosures were clean and the animals appeared well taken care of- which made us happy. I appreciate the sanctuary takes in the animals that their owners abandon, and their efforts to educate people to be more responsible when choosing to have exotic pets, and about finding a way to coexist with wildlife in harmony. Human is the number one cause of extinction of many species, and we need more places like this sanctuary to remind people of the importance of conservation.
We would definitely come back when we visit the area again!

I would highly recommend visiting McCarthys Wildlife Sanctuary during your stay in south Florida! The staff were very knowledgeable and amazing, it’s easy to get to and the grounds were clean and beautiful. Not to mention, the animals seemed very happy and enjoyed us visiting!
DaLena Elliott — Google review
My husband and I came here to see all the animals! Jeremy took us on a great tour and genuinely cares about the animals and provided the group with great facts about the individual animals and their species. I would definitely recommend coming here, rather than other places that have wild animals as this place rescues and rehabilitates animals and does what is in the best interest for the animals!
Tracy Marotta — Google review
Great sanctuary! Things were well organized, plenty of parking just outside the main gate. Our guide was well informed about the different animals, and there was even a chance to get up close and personal in the reptile house. There are restrooms, and a gift shop on site.
Kassandra Rodriguez — Google review
It is a hidden gem, being so close to the big cats was so surreal. Our guide Bianca was very informative. We enjoyed her company very much. They had a lot of snakes, almost every snake 🐍 including rattle snakes and venomous snakes.Turtles, tarantula and other animals which were all saved in some way. That's why it is good to visit it to help pay for the rescued animals.
Mohanbir Nagra — Google review
Very clean and healthy looking animals! organized and kind workers. It was a fun experience and I would recommend checking this place out if you want a little more personal setting
Signed up for the tour on Friday. They have restrooms here but if you need to go during a tour you'll be escorted back. You stuck together as a group and are not allowed to wander off alone. Looks to have plenty of parking outside the premise. once inside, they have tables to sit underneath the shade as well as water bottles to buy
You're allowed to touch the animals and handle them at your own risk as stated by the sign
A very cool place that takes care of the animals here

The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and you can tell that the animals are very well taken care of. Super informative and fun experience, regardless of age. One of my top must-see places every time I'm in West Palm Beach.

Amazing wildlife refuge. Had such a great time on the tour with Alexis as our tour guide. Very friendly and informative. You get to learn not only about the animals but their individual backstories and how they arrived there. Such a great place. I can't wait till my son turns 5 next you so I can bring him as well. Did I mention they let you hold some of the animals. Super cool experience for a family or a date.

Had the best time here!! Staff was so knowledgeable and the animals looked very well taken care of. It was such a great experience and would definitely recommend! Great for kids as well.

Found this little suburban sanctuary on Tripadvisor and it did not disappoint. Tours are only available by calling them direct and only a few days a week at limited times. If you like small group tours, this is for you. The animals are very well cared for, even spoiled and I’m glad they have a place like this they can call home. Definitely a must see in the West Palm Beach area.
Lisa Burton — Google review
Paw-some! Very informative. Although they have short hours, this is for the benefit of the animals. Members of our party held several different animals, like a kinkajou, turtles, snakes and spiders. This was the closest I ever stood near large cats, lions, jaguar, panther, etc. they also have a liger that I did not know existed.
Suzanne La Plante — Google review
Great experience seeing the animals, including a number of big cats. It's not setup like a traditional zoo, so your tour is just a handful of people and you can get very close to the enclosures which makes for excellent photos. Proceeds from tour go to helping care for the animals so it's a great cause as well. They also engage in animal rehabilitation. Highly recommend.

Amazing tour of the facilities. Super clean, fantastic animal encounter. Friendly host/guide. Definitely a must visit place. I will be back again.

We took our kid as a birthday gift from family members. We absolutely LOVE IT! Bianca was our tour guide. She was AMAZING! The whole family will enjoy this experience. You learn so much and will see animals that otherwise, you would probably never encounter(like a liger). The stories behind every animal are also so incredible. Bianca is very knowledgeable and kept the visit very fun for all the kids. We got to held and touch different animals.
We've been living in the Palm Beach area for years and we didn't know about this place. I'm happy we got to see it. I highly recommend it!

Great experience and even the younger kids remained engaged. Very nicely laid out and everything was maintained well. Would love to come again and spend more time checking out the rotating car display. Also, very veteran friendly with admission.

The Elliot museum is a very cool looking modern building near the beach. It has a rotating exhibit that feature local artists and photographers. It has some interesting historical information about people and places in Florida. There is a large collection of old cars, trucks, bikes, motorcycles, and an airplane. My favorite part was the old general store that is from the late 1800's.

What an excellent museum! It was definitely bigger than I imagined. I drove 2 hours to come check this place out. It was worth the drive. So much history here. Great collection of automobiles. I loved everything about it. I highly recommend if you are in the area or looking for something to do.

I stopped here on the way home because Steve, out at the refuge, suggested the combo ticket. Although I think the museum focuses, foremost, on motor vehicle technology, then history, I think I like the… Well, you can see from the pictures what I like the most. I had a great time here and I will be back. Especially because there are a couple of paintings that I want to buy from the gift shop

One of the best museums on the treasure coast. You can see many many very vintage cars that are very cool and even some of the first electric cars ever made. I would suggest anybody going here just for the history of Stuart sewell's point in the surrounding areas. Class act all the way.

This is the oasis in Florida. What an amazing museum of cars and antiques. Cool stuff, great information, and lots of learning today on our journey to lunch on the beach, a good 1 to 2 hour distraction.
Cars, boats, models, trains, and a couple of cool facts!
Joel Zaidspiner — Google review
I hadn’t been here since the new building was constructed 10 years ago. The car collection is certainly a highlight, as is the system that allows you to select and bring down cars from the upper levels for a closer examination. However there are other impressive displays as well, including a wonderful selection of paintings by The Highwaymen.

Very cool museum
Especially if you like old cars.
Rebecca Hurwitz — Google review
The Elliot museum's car collection is primarily model A and T older cars, but there are several more modern cars to enjoy.
The real amazing part of this collection is that nearly 50 cars are racked in an automated storage system. Each car requested for viewing is brought out of the three story racks and placed on a revolver turntable for viewing. A technological marvel worth the visit.
The staff were pleasant and willing to show me many requests for specific cars.
I enjoyed it immensely and recommend a visit if you are in the Stuart Florida area or passing nearby on travel.
Tim Russell — Google review
Great museum with rich history of the Treasure Coast. Great selection of cars with a cool system to take a car off a multi-level rack to a display. Just pick the car and the device rings the car front and center and gives you a 360 view.
Interesting display as this is a replica of a steam engine that was produced in my hometown in upstate New York.

Great place to learn about local history. Wonderful collection of old cars, baseball history, and artifacts from the past.

Awesome King Tut display but the rest of the museum is really something. A variety of historical items from the area and well worth the price of admission my fellow travelers.

First time here, always see it on the way home and since it’s my birthday today decided to check it out. The car collection is very nice, beautiful cars, the way they have them set up I can stay here for hours as I am a car enthusiast. The paintings are gorgeous and found out about THE HIGHWAYMEN and their art 🖼️ wonderful wonderful… I would love to come back with my son, perfect place if you want to see some very cool things.
The Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center is a 57-acre research and educational site featuring a network of nature trails, a lagoon, and saltwater tanks. Visitors can explore the building's interactive games, learn about Florida's water and animals in the museum, and take advantage of restrooms on-site. The attraction offers a chance to feed stingrays and invertebrates while observing large saltwater turtles and fish up close. Admission prices are $8 for children and $16 for adults.
April 2022 - what a great place. The kids loved this place and we had a hard time getting them to go. In the building they have some games you can play. Restrooms, a little museum about the animals, Florida water, ect. Very cool place to visit and we have no wait. Their is a trail but we didn't go that far. It was really hot outside for us with 3 daughters under 10. I highly recommend this place.
Brian D — Google review
Such a great Place! Years ago they were tiny but just as great, now they have built and expanded so many beautiful and truly enriching experiences on the property. There is a beautiful gift shop when you walk in ( be prepared to want to shop, truly I wish I had for that in my budget it’s like a mermaid emporium) and then they have a stingray touch pool just outside that we’re you can sit and learn about them and also touch them- including toddlers which was very cool. My little 2 year old darling was so excited by them and would have jumped in if I let her ha! Next to that is an interactive young childrens area- both are outside. Then the newest attraction is a big “air conditioned” building with another interactive room with puzzles for older kids and then a nice small little museum type walk through that introduces you to our local marine ecosystems which was done really well. Again my toddler could not get enough and we spent a good hour walking through it several times over! Everyone is very nice and informative as well. Outside that is a huge estuary I guess you could say. A man made giant “ lagoon “ as it’s called there or big pond that has a huge walk around deck ( which also leads to some pretty cool wildlife trails) and in it you’ll find all sorts of big ocean life including turtles, stingrays, and even nurse sharks which was pretty cool to us!!!
I explained all this so that hopefully someone reading this can see how worthwhile it is to go here! You and your kids will love it!
Kaleigh Cook — Google review
This is a great place to spend the day with your family. There are interactive and very informative displays throughout the grounds, with many "hands-on" exhibits for all ages. The staff is very knowledgeable and will teach you many things about the creatures you will encounter in each exibit. From the walking trails to the gift shop, we were extremely impressed with this park.
Highly-rated for a visit!

Amazing place to learn about and see Florida marine wildlife! They have stingrays in a touch tank you can feed, a huge pond/aquarium with tons of fish, sea turtles, an octopus, and a nature trail. Well worth the $16 to get in. The whole experience was great and the programs were lots of fun. This is a great place for the whole family to check out. I'll definitely be coming back here.
Isaac Rampton — Google review
Really neat place with a stingray feeding experience, touch tank of several smaller aquatic species, and a large model estuary with nurse sharks and recovering sea turtles that you can learn about and see. Great for little kids to be exposed and learn. Fair pricing and free entry for active duty and veterans as well.

Very pleasant place to visit. Charged 8 dollars per child and 16 dollars for adults. The children were able to feed and pet the stingrays and invertebrates. View the very large saltwater turtles and fish. It was easy to spend 2 hours. Very informative.

Great place to visit and spend the afternoon. The Center isn't huge, but my family and I had a nice time. We were able to pet and feed stingrays, view their lagoon with fish, stingrays, sea turtles and sharks, explore the exhibits and a wonderful view of everything from the top of the Ecocenter

Amazing experience! They are making sure animals are safe and live in an environment similar to the wild one. Very interesting museum to visit, they have a lot of activities. Worth visiting

This is a very educational spot to spend some outdoor time. Really big lagoon with rays, fish, and turtles all swimming about. There's plenty of educational placards and displays as well as different talks given. Take a walk on the nature trail through the mangroves (best enjoyed after liberal application of DEET) and see their oyster reclamation project. A big plus is that active duty military and veterans get in free.
Mike Puig (teenado658) — Google review
My wife would likely disagree with the five stars due to the smell in the Nature Trail, but I thought it was a fun experience.
Great access to animals of all kinds. Really interesting exhibits in the park.
In my opinion, the VERY SMELLY Nature Trail is a 3/4-mile walk through an actual marsh. The methane gases due to decomposing detritus (and who knows what else) are REALLY strong, but it was lots of fun.
Daniel Farris — Google review
Love this place. Brought my grandsons here and they enjoyed it. Lots to learn for all ages. When you first get in you get to pet the stingrays in the stingray tank and then you can watch them feed the fish in the big estuary. Highly recommend. Will be back

We love bringing the kids here. We brought my mother and grandfather here last week who are from PA and they loved it. If you follow the trails all the way out, you see the water and if you are lucky enough you may see some hammerhead's swim by like we did.

Great time coming here with the Wife and Kids, Turtles were gorgeous and fish were stocked well. Bring your polarized glasses to see more down deep!!! Prepare for a wild sanctuary nature walk, bring waters!

The amount of knowledge you learn is unreal. We spent the whole day there just learning from the shows and then walking through the building. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the nature walk.
I do suggest bringing something to snack on and drink as they only have water.

Nice little exhibit that is very educational about smaller aquatic life. I would say it would take about an hour to go through. Has cool fish tanks with a small octopus. I would say after going through this place would be best for kids.

Loved the history lesson the damming and canalization of Lake Okeechobee. Learned a lot about local sea life and their efforts to help sea grass and oyster repopulate in the area. The kids all admitted it was worth leaving the beach and was super fun! Must-see in Stuart!

Absolutely amazing. Definitely stop in. Wonderful staff. Great experience and knowledge. Love that's a non profit so your money to pay is going straight to the beautiful facility.
The Lion Country Safari park offers a unique experience where visitors can view various wildlife in their natural habitat from the safety of their own car. The safari features a diverse range of animals such as lions, rhinos, and more. Additionally, there is an adjacent amusement park with rides for children, mini water parks, gift shops, and even a giraffe feeding pavilion. Visitors can also enjoy food trucks and a large cafeteria reminiscent of Disney's offerings.
Such a cool place!! The Drive through Safari was awesome. Got up close to so many animals. The actual zoo part was really neat. Lots of shaded areas, 4 gift shops, 3 mini water parks, tons of rides for kids, paddle boat area, not to mention a entire giraffe feeding pavilion! They also have foods trucks and a huge Disney like Cafeteria. If you have kids bring them here!! 👍🏻

It was a Wonderful Experience, we had lots of close animal encounters and it was an amazing experience. We need to drive through in our car and follow a route and it's divided based on different geographical areas. The audio tour is quite helpful and informative. The park is very well maintained and the staff is very helpful and courteous. We spent close to 2.5 to 3 hrs, but we couldn't enjoy the water park, so plan at least for 5-6 hrs so the whole park + water rides can be enjoyed. There is also a giraffe feeding experience and children would definitely love it. I would definitely recommend it. Please like my review if you find it helpful.

We went with the entire family and there was something for everyone to do and see. The exhibits/animals were fantastic. We brought our own lunch and there was plenty of seating. A bit pricey overall. We recommend printing your tickets ahead because the entrance scanner does not work well on mobile ticket barcodes.

Awesome place! My wife was here in 1969 and she was like a kid again. Obviously there are more animals and activities now. Friendly and helpful staff. Well kept, clean, and the staff is very attentive towards the animals and visitors. We stayed at the KOA RV park which was also awesome. Overall it was a great time and place. I will definitely return.

We had such a great time and we are excited to go back again! We did the drive through Safari and the kids loved it! Then we went to the water park and they really enjoyed it too! The parking was easy and the park was so safe, clean and organized. I went alone with two young children and it was stress free. The best time.

This place has really declined over the years. I was so excited to take family from out of town here after spending years when my kids were younger, coming repeatedly to drive through the park, enjoy feeding the giraffes, plus the water park and mini zoo park. I don’t know what happened but other than elk, like animals, they have significantly fewer main draw animals (and we were following the truck that was feeding them so we had the best opportunity to see animals up close). For example, they no longer have elephants and they used to. There used to be so many rhinoceros, and now there are only a few, Ive got to give credit to Lion Country Safari for clearly sharing information that the water slides & certain other areas are currently under construction. However, almost the entire zoo and play area should be under renovation. Much of it hasn’t been touched for at least 10 years and it shows. It has noticeably aged and worn seating areas, play areas, restaurants, and dining options. I respect it must cost quite a lot to take care of exotic animals however, I don’t think it’s worth the ticket price. I’ve spoken to several people since our trip last weekend. The consensus is unanimous that pretty much everyone who is a local feels this place is currently lacking. Hopefully they get donors or other funds to turn it around.

No#1 attraction in Florida. Online ticket booking was easy. It takes close to 75 to 90 minutes to compete the Safari drive. A lot of animals can be seen walking closely and the kids loved the experience. The Walk through Safari and the Kids rides were excellent. A must visit place for kids and families.
Karthi Gopalaswamy — Google review
When we first did our research, it mentioned that is 55 acres park. But in reality, most of the safari part is self drive, makes it super relaxing to go on your own pace. Animals are easy spot and used to cars. We did have an ostrich trying to attack our side mirror. Lots of animals brought here and trying to give them best environment. But it’s still fence in. The adventure park portion is not as exciting. Old rides that really has nothing to do with animals, and some feeding area and petting zoo. I recommend going to safari in different time of the day so you get to see different animal activities.
The Foodie Architect — Google review
This place is AMAZING!! The prices are so reasonable because this place offers so many fun activities! From an outdoor drive through safari, to the indoor zoo where you can feed the giraffes (however, to feed the giraffes is an extra $5); there are so many things you can do. This place also offers free mini golf, a small outdoor waterpark and a few little amusement park rides for the kids and a petting zoo, all of which are included in the daily ticket price and doesn’t cost extra. You could spend all day here and never get bored. You can also drive through the outdoor safari as many times as you like, which is so cool because you get so close to the animals. The animals just freely roam around and some even end up getting close to your car. If you are looking for a fun filled day trip, then this is definitely the perfect place!

A very unique experience where you can drive through several exhibits to experience animals up close and personal. Plan to spend about 60-90mins and be sure to have enough gas in the car.
It's mostly antelope, gazelle, etc. with chimps and lions as well. They provide an audio guide you can access via your phone, which I'd recommend as otherwise you don't really know what you're looking at.
The price is a bit steep though, wish it was more affordable.

The drive-through safari was amazing. It takes about an hour to drive the whole thing. We went on a weekday, so there were only about a dozen cars at that time.
After, we went through the walking park area. Paddle boats, carousel and attractions for kids. We didn't visit the splash park, but there is a lot to experience. Feeding the giraffes was a unique experience.
I definitely recommend making the trip!

Our second time visiting. First time was 10 years before. Was everything that we remembered. Had a great time. Picked the perfect day, as it was cloudy and a bit cool so even the lions were out and active. Was able to get many great photos. Almost seemed like all of the animals were trained to pose for us.

We camped at the KOA Lion Country Campground in West Palm Beach which is literally right next to the safari. You can get a discount on your safari tickets if you are camping. The price wasn't too much and we could enter the park all day. We went early, 9:30 am when they opened and saw the animals eating their morning meals. Definitely more vehicles at that time. We drove through and it took about an hour, with the slow speed and stopping often to observe the animals. It was very enjoyable and kids would love it! (We couldn't bring our pups 😔) After the drive thru we entered the actual park. Inside, it has more of a zoo atmosphere with exhibits and animal shows. Food and drinks are available. We purchased a large pretzel for a snack and it was good. Can't remember if it was $5 or $10...leaning towards $10. Later, we returned to drive through again. We timed it for closing and ended up being the last and ONLY vehicle in the Safari. 😂 We were "stalked" by the workers waiting to put the animals away and close the gates.of each section. Which they did IMMEDIATELY AFTER we drove out of each section!!😂😂 It was not our intention to hold them up, but we sure got that feeling. We entered at 4:20 and exited at 5:30 which is their closing time, so it was all good. 👍🏻 The afternoon drive thru was the absolute best time to go!! We got to see a lot of the animals up close as they were prowling at the gates waiting to be put up/fed. All in all, a great place to visit.

Small park which can be easily completed in 2-3 hours total. The park is separated into two areas. First, the drive through safari was nice with 30 species of large animals. The drive is in the comfort of your own air-conditioned car at your own pace with two lanes offered. Second, the walk through park is nicely landscaped however several of the displays were empty and all animal feeding stations had been removed (May 2022). There is a childrens area in the back of the park which has a splash fountain. Some small rides like a carousel, paddle boats and slides. Most disappointing were the food and eating options all of which were extremely overpriced and poorly serviced. Bring your own drinks and let the kids wear their swim suits. Nice afternoon.

I read the bad and good reviews carefully before coming. Here is my objective opinion about my visit:
1.- There is a dedicated area for picnic
2.- Restrooms are super clean.
3.- Theme and souvenir stores have average prices. In fact, much better than other parks.
4.- Yes, the lions can be seen through a fence, and it is safer that way. People with kids will consider that policy the most intelligent one, provided that lions and other animals are savage and will act according to instincts.
5.- By the time of my visit, I had the opportunity to see several animals being fed by the crew members. There are no animals showing signs of malnutrition. This is one of those Zoos that has animals in excellent shape!
6.- Rhinos instead are free, however, at least five Pick Up Trucks from the park were moving strategically so the rhinos would not represent a threat for visitors.
7.- All areas are very clean. Either the drive or the walk-through are well kept, even the entire road is free from stools.
8.- Staffing personnel are very kind and knowledgeable.
It's worth the trip

I have been going here since I was a child. I live in New York but often visit Florida to see family, and this is a place we always go to. It is great for all ages. Each time you go, it is a new experience. Sometimes you will have an ostrich pecking at your car window; other times, you will have a rhino walking in the road and stopping traffic. It is truly a magical experience. Knowing that the animals are well taken care of and seem happy and healthy is awesome. The walk-through part is also super fun! Feeding the giraffes is a must. The gift shops are also affordable so that you can take home a fun souvenir. Everyone who travels in the area must visit this place at least once. Make sure you have your camera ready so you can capture videos and photos along the way!

This place is awesome, a drive thru safari then you get to go inside the park and they got more rides and more animals and water park. You can pack food and have a picnic or buy what they have , only thing was the indoor dining area was under renovation when i went . But my kid had an awesome time and so did i just watching him be so happy .

We always wanted to visit. We had a disabled person in the car so we didn’t do any of the out of car activities. We did drive through the safari twice. We were able to pull over and watch the animals as long as we wanted. The only animals you don’t see real well are the lions. This is because they are enclosed in giant chain link fences. Also they have a fairly large area to roam meaning they are not always up close to the fence. Warning signs reminding folks what to and not to do should be more prominent. Stupid us, we stopped sort of near the rhinos. They were milling around. On the way out of the rhino area the sign warns you to not stop near the rhinos. Not sure how near is near. You will need to keep your windows up so make sure your AC works well. We did one trip with some rain and another without. Both were enjoyable. If ai lived close I absolutely would have an annual pass to this park. It was delightful!

Excellent place, my children, my husband and I were delighted. The safari is very entertaining, you can see the animals up close, it is seen that they are well cared for and the audio that tells you about each animal is in English and Spanish. In addition to the safari, there are more animals that you can see already walking. There are also other attractions that are included with your ticket. The water park was a lot of fun. There are several restaurants, all the staff are very friendly and in general the place is very clean and nice. We liked it so much that we will not hesitate to buy the annual pass!

Excellent experience with a drive through Safari and optional medium-sized amusement park at the end. Definitely one of the unique activities in all of Florida, if not the USA. The drive through Safari takes about one to two hours to complete (your individual time spent watching the animals is up to you, can be longer or shorter). Large variety of animals. Many of them have no problem walking up to the cars or stopping on the road. Very fun to watch. The Safari is great for kids, or older less mobile people, or both. As for the amusement park, this is great for kids, generally 2yrs old to 10 yrs old. Variety of rides, food, ice cream, and more animal exposures. There is also a water park for little kids.
Michael Burke — Google review
Such a fun experience! The animals were active and were close to the road which allowed everyone to get a good look at them. The drive through was fun for everyone and then exploring the rest of the park was equally enjoyable. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The water park looked very fun(we didn’t go this time but will be back). The little boat tour with Charlotte was great and seeing all the other animals inside the park felt like going to the zoo. Highly recommend!

Amazing place to spend the day. Definitely the top option for families. It would be good if you download the audio for the safari before going there, the signal is not very good. Take some cash to go feed the animals, 50 cents for fish and 5 dollars for the giraffe.
MónicaM Medina — Google review
This was the perfect activity for someone who is recuperating from a hospital stay or someone with limited mobility. You just stay in your car, windows rolled up, adjust the air conditioning, turn on the audio tour and enjoy the next 90 minutes! The animals were in a more natural habitat than a zoo, and there were large numbers of all of the species. With each section of the park we saw different varieties of animals and learned so much info on each breed. We could pull over at any time and pause the recording and reference the map with photos and descriptions of the animals. It was not a rushed tour. You could take as long as you liked at any part of the tour. We especially liked the zebras and giraffes. After the car tour, there was other parts of the park to explore. There were plenty of benches to rest on and maps to show you where you were. A very enjoyable day! Best part was feeding the giraffes. They sold three leaves of romaine lettuce for $5 and you could feed the giraffes from a platform where you are face to face with them. Definitely the highlight of the afternoon.

Oh. My. Goodness. I was visiting my aunt who lives in the area and she wanted to bring me here. I have been to other drive through safari places, some where you can feed the animals, some where you can not feed the animals. This falls into the category where you can not feed the animals, which I like because the animals stayed away from your car. And they had lions! And rhinoceroses! And so many more! The drive through took a lot of time as there was so much to look at. Then you can leave. OR you can park, and do the walking tour! They are doing some renovations so be aware of that! There is a water park, but neither my aunt nor I were interested in that. There was an absolutely cute show with a few birds and a handler. It was amazing. I highly recommend for anyone in the area.

Absolutely great time! I love the fact that you can go through the safari experience, park your car go and get lunch and explore the walk through areas, petting zoo, and feeding the giraffe! (Which was a super cool experience) And then you could drive through the safari again if you want to!!! Had an overall great experience today even with it being my first time! Will be going again and again!

We really enjoyed it! It’s great that you can do the drive thru a second time if you want. Plus, there’s a large walk thru area, a petting zoo, and a water park area with slides. Our only complaint/recommendation is that you bring our own food or drinks and don’t expect to eat there. Coffee was $4.50-$8. No deals to be had on food or drinks, that’s for sure! We bought tickets online and saved about $20 on 2 adults and 1 child vs the gate rate.
Meaghan MacKenzie — Google review
Great fun for the kids. I worried that the cost wouldn’t be worth it, but we made a day of it! 6 kids and 4 adults was about $300 for admission and $150 for lunch. This seems on par with most Florida theme parks, so the value isn’t outstanding but it is average and the setting is unique. Rhinos, giraffes, and ostriches were favorites! And the water park was a great ending

Went with my parents just before they closed the doors and we loved cruising around! The audio guide was really cool as well. Got some awesome photos too!
Why did the zebra cross the road? I don’t know and I think he forgot too because he stood there for 10 minutes 😂

It exceeded my expectations, very organized and fun for kids. We took our tidier who had a lot of fun. Take your bathing suit as waterpark is fun for little ones and adults can join in. Giraffe feeding experience was great too!

We visited on a regular Sunday morning and no that crowded/busy. The drive through experience was amazing. The walk through was also a good experience from feeding/petting and water park. The National Navy SEAL Museum is a compact but impressive establishment with displays showcasing the history and equipment used by the Navy SEALs. Visitors can explore exhibits of armory, weaponry, and historical artifacts while also experiencing a realistic feeling of being a paratrooper inside a helicopter. The museum has an excellent section on Medal of Honor recipients, which highlights their bravery in full detail. Additionally, visitors can learn about the various operations that were conducted by Navy Seals outside declared wars such as Panama and Haiti.
This is a small museum but packed full of excellent exhibits, armory, movies and weaponry. The volunteer docents were very good and explained everything to us before we entered. Climb inside the helicopter and you will get a realistic feeling of what it was like to be a paratrooper. The Medal of Honor section was excellent because it gave the full story of the bravery of the recipients. We particularly enjoyed seeing all of the operations that were conducted by Navy Seals outside of declared wars (Panama, Haiti, etc.) The Normandy section was very good as were the sections on canines. Great experience.

The museum was a fantastic experience. It's not the biggest, but each item and exhibit was authentic and high quality. Extra points if you are able to speak to some of the workers regarding the origin stories of some of the pieces. There is a military discount for veterans and active duty. The grounds outside the building also have really great exhibits. To cap it off, you can walk from the parking lot to the beach and enjoy some fun and sun all in one visit

This place is cool! The outdoors are totally free and perfect for kids (of all ages). There is a fee to tour the museum inside. The ships are amazing and really give you a sense of the hardships of battle. After your done here, you can go directly to the beach in the same parking lot, or the playground next door. BTW parking is ample and also free 😃

Great place if you are there when there is not a crowd. I enjoyed all the exhibits. They were quite interesting and the obstacle course outside was fun. At the same time, I was quite disappointed about the inconsistency of mask wearing among the staff and the inability to socially distance within this setting. That's why I only gave a 4. We were between 2 large groups of people who were oblivious to everyone else around them and totally ignored any type of 6 foot space. Even a staff member who was unmasked continued to approach me (masked )to talk about something-disregarding my "No, thankyou"'s and my backing away from him. I just found it surprising during Covid. I think it would work better if there was perhaps an overall limit on the number of people in the building at one time so there is more ability to have some distance from others.

Being a Navy Veteran, this place has been on my list for a while. I finally got the opportunity to go today. (9/3/22) It's an INCREDIBLE experience. A very well laid out museum with tons to see and interact with. It really brought back a lot of memories for me.
If you are planning on going, set aside a GOOD block of time. Also try to go when the weather is good because there is a lot to see outside on the grounds as well.
Just an overall incredible experience. I look forward to going back, hopefully with friends and share all the history contained therein.

This museum has so much information so I recommend allotting 2-3 hours to tour. I really enjoyed my time there and learned so much about the Histiry of the Navy Seals.
The museum and grounds are spectacular and so well kept. I was super impressed with everything.
Mr. Andy Brady runs the museum and he shared quite a bit of the SEAL history as we were leaning facility.
There is a store on site with souvenirs and more. I highly recommend visiting if in the area or have a passion for the Navy Seals.

I brought my two year old and my 8 year old here. I was able to use a wagon and navigate thru pretty okay. It has lots of gear, weapons, machinery-pretty much everything navy seals use and have used. They show you the changes in equipment over the decades. They have an outdoor obstacle course that the navy seals use. My son had fun. They also had some boats, and other vehicles that you can actually get inside of. There is a small memorial garden honoring fallen seals throughout the different wars. I feel like it’s a bit pricey for what they have and to be honest to allow people to experience history. Adults are $15, children are $7 and toddlers and infants are free.
There are a couple of picnic tables you can sit at and snack on. It does say no backpacks or big bags but because I had my son I guess they let me through with them-they didn’t question me.

What a tribute to those who have kept us safe and freedom alive! Weapons, vehicles, and moving stories of heroic sacrifice fill every corner. Modern static and interactive displays. Videos are so well done. Full size Blackhawk Helicopter inside. History spans from early beginnings as training ground right in Fort Pierce for WWII UDT Frogmen to today's SEAL (Sea/Air/Land) Teams. Outside is an amazing collection of boats and displays. Gift shop is well stocked with many mementos for your visit. We took 2 hours and scratched the service. Tickets are so reasonably priced. Don't miss WII beginnings: Normandy Invasion clearing mines and beach fortifications while being shot at and all with "swim trunks and a knife".

The National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum in Florida is truly an epic experience for anyone interested in the history of the Navy SEALs and the incredible sacrifices they've made for our country. From the moment you step onto the grounds of the museum, you can feel the weight of the history and the importance of the mission these brave men have undertaken.
The museum is filled with an amazing collection of artifacts, exhibits, and interactive displays that bring to life the heroic stories of the Navy SEALs. From the early days of the Underwater Demolition Teams to the modern-day operations, every aspect of their remarkable journey is captured in vivid detail.
The highlight of the museum is undoubtedly the actual gear, weapons, and equipment used by the SEALs, including the famous MK V Special Operations Craft and the SEAL Delivery Vehicle. Walking through these displays, you can't help but be in awe of the skill, bravery, and dedication of these warriors.
The museum also offers a number of hands-on experiences, like the chance to climb aboard a real Navy SEAL Mini-Sub and to test your skills on the SEAL Obstacle Course. These activities give you a small glimpse into the intense training and preparation that these elite soldiers undergo in order to carry out their missions.
One of the most moving parts of the museum is the tribute to the fallen heroes of the SEAL teams. The memorial wall and the displays honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice serve as a powerful reminder of the tremendous courage and sacrifice of these brave men.
The staff at the museum are incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and dedicated to sharing the incredible history and legacy of the Navy SEALs. Their enthusiasm and willingness to engage with visitors make the experience even more enriching.
Visiting the National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum is not just a visit to a museum; it's an opportunity to gain a deep understanding and appreciation for the men who have served and continue to serve in the Naval Special Warfare community. This museum provides a truly epic and humbling experience that will leave you with a profound sense of respect and admiration for the Navy SEALs and their unwavering commitment to our their nation.

Leave it to UDT (oh yeah, Seals) to have a museum this awesome. We've visited three times and each time learn something new or discover a display that somehow missed our attention on the previous visit.
Make sure to visit on a sunny day as the outside displays (mostly SDVs and watercraft) are worth the walk.
The gift store? Just have your credit card at the ready, that's all I have to say about that.

What a great place to visit!! I am so thankful for these men who have given everything for our freedom!!! My wife's uncle was on Seal Team 2 and found his name on the wall. The staff was so helpful in finding his graduation photo!
Spring training facility for the NY Mets. Older facility. Could use some more hand rails on the stairs. Park on grass $10. Lots of friendly and helpful volunteers. Local police help with traffic control.
Bath rooms are small. Tiki bar. Berm behind fence on 1st base side, with sun deck behind. There is an adjacent practise field.
Main field has no dugouts. Nathans hot dogs but no Nathans mustard.
The announcer got the name of the visiting team wrong (!). Too many commercials, too loud, on the announcement system.

Left after 2nd inning....life long Mets fan, very disappointed. Was always a dream to visit here, big let down. Just moved to the area so this was on the top of the bucket list. Most annoying was Q-tip old timers in section 205 refusing to let people sit in the seats they purchased. Its reserved seating, not first come first served. What are you supposed to do with a bunch of geriatrics on their last legs though? Heard the argument over seating for the 4th time and just took the family and went home before things got ugly. No usher presence didn't help matters. Plus half the stadium was closed off for renovations compounding issues. Food options were decent, that was about the highlight. Wish this night ended differently, will probably be going to Rays, or Tortugas games moving forward.

The Vero Beach Museum of Art is a contemporary regional museum that showcases American and international visual art collections. Its sleek, white building located in Riverside Park offers changing fine-art exhibitions and regular outdoor jazz concerts. The museum features a small but carefully chosen selection of works from famous artists such as Monet, Matisse, Picasso Rembrandt, Hockney, Warhol, Cassat, Rockwell and more.
Small but lovingly curated museum. Lovely outdoor sculpture garden. We visit once a year on vacation and there are always different and extensive exhibits. The current exhibit features local private collections. Stunning works from Monet, Matisse, Picasso Rembrandt, Hockney, Warhol, Cassat, Rockwell, and more. Highly recommend. During pre-pandemic times and hopefully in the future there is a nice cafe.

We had a homeschool field trip to the Vero art museum, and I think we were one of the first groups to come for a field trip since everything has opened up again. Our group was mostly younger children with my son being the only older age one. A group was given several sets of tour guides and all the guides were very friendly and knowledgeable.
There is a children's section to the museum though it wasn't open when we visited. There's also a garden area but it started raining during our tour so we couldn't access it, the pavers get slippery in the rain.
I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of art given how small the museum looks from the outside, and there was a lot of attention to detail given during the tours. There is a small gift shop here.

One of the best museums I’ve ever visited! I’ll be honest I didn’t expect much from this museum because I was visiting Fort Pierce (somewhere I’ve never heard of) with a friend and we were looking for something fun to do. I didn’t expect such amazing and emotionally moving works of art. This has taught me not to judge a book by its cover (or not to judge a place just because you’ve never heard of it!). I’ve added my photos of my two favorite pieces. If I ever visit Vero Beach again this is the first place I’ll be visiting. Thank you for displaying such wonderful artwork!

The tot could not stop talking about the giant mushroom statue. And they loved cooling off in the splash pad area. Highly suggest going, great for kids and adults of all ages. We spent about 3 hours or so. And we probably still didn’t see all of it. As we spent most of the time in the children’s garden. But we are already planning another trip!

Beautiful garden with lots of pretty flowers, ponds, and trees. Also saw lots of interesting reptiles running around.
The kids' zone looked like a fun spot for young kids who like climbing and exploring. The kids' zone also had those in ground water spouts/fountains that shoot up water for kids to get wet/cool down so be sure to bring their trunks/bathing suits if you don't mind them getting wet.
Can get a little warm on a hot summer day, but there are a lot of shaded trails that help with the temperatures.

This visit, the last before our two boys have a baby sister join the pack, was all about the kiddos.
The yearly family pass is a great investment for anyone who has the ability to visit several times a year and, while we've been busy with our recent move to Vero along with projects with our "new" 1933 house and ~1 acre lot and therefore have only visited two times since buying the pass in July, it was still worth it.
Hopefully, I'll be able to peruse the beautiful gardens next time; this visit was straight into the kids splash area, then to the pirates ship (it made me conscious of my back's decline in flexibility!), then back to the car. Destination: Ice Cream!

Ti had been wanting to visit since moving into the area over 4 years ago, and I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit on July 19th. We entered at about 3:30, knowing that the gardens closed at 5, but we managed to see most of the property. Thankfully, there were plenty of shady areas and trails to keep us from overheating on the hot July day (*you are permitted to bring water with you). There are a lot of interesting features and beautiful plants. Some are identified by markers and/or signage, and it would be helpful if more were. We had the added treat of an interesting exhibit of "balanced rock sculptures" that were displayed throughout the grounds. They even had a map showing where each of the 25 installations were located, and while we found many, we ran of time before finding all 25. I would highly recommend purchasing one of the membership options, as the admission fee is $15 per adult for a single day visit, yet you can purchase a 1 year membership for a single adult at $50 which allows unlimited visits for a full year from date of purchase (*another membership option for 1 adult plus a guest is only $60 for a year of visits). I look forward to returning, but plan to go earlier to have more time to explore!

A very well maintained and quite exotic garden. Lots of water ways and butterflies all around. We saw plenty of fish and a couple of small turtles on our visit. There were some nice artful touches as well as several tastefully constructed shaded areas and a large central building with an historic overview video presentation. There is an on site resteraunt (we didn't use) that looked very nice and had inside and shaded outside seating. The staff were lovely and our visit was well worth the entrance fee due to the professional way the gardens are managed.

Beautiful peaceful place to walk through! Plants, waterfalls, trees, ponds, stone bridge and nice trails carved throughout.
The artists that made bamboo statues of birds were very interesting!
There is a restaurant, gift shop and public restrooms.
Plenty of parking and reasonable entry fee.
There are planned events posted for kids on a sign.
A lot of people contributed a lot of time and effort to preserve this area making it a beautiful place to enjoy!

A must! Such a fun and absolutely beautiful experience! My daughter is 4 and had a blast! Bathrooms in several areas, Cafe, gift shop, and splash pad for kids in children's garden. So peaceful and family friendly!!

Beautiful and small botanical garden. Easy for seniors and people in wheel chairs to access. I went with my father and we had a wonderful time. Make sure to put bug spray on before you go as it is very much a tropical garden.
I was surprised by how nice the Cafe on site was. I got an iced coffee and freshly baked chocolate croissant and it was absolutely delicious. They also offered complimentary strawberry and mint water. Which was very refreshing after being out in the Florida heat..

Beautiful relaxing garden with a splash area for kids and a play area as well. Enjoy a nice peaceful walk around the garden. There is a cafe as well open until 3 pm. Definitely a good tourist attraction! Kids under 2 are free. $15.00 for adults.

Very well-maintained garden surrounding a maze of streams and ponds. I visited in the middle of the day, during the middle of September. Although it was a little humid, my stroll was pretty much shaded the whole time. It took me about an hour and a half to walk the trails. Can you imagine what it would’ve been like to visit this place in 1932, when there was wildlife like monkeys, big game, and alligators? My thanks to Arthur and Waldo for this awesome attraction! Also, kudos to the people who’ve maintained it over the years 😍😊😘

I'm only giving it 5 stars because I can't give 10. Great gardens. The new children's area is top notch. Very well thought out with perfect activities for kids. Bring clothes the kids can get wet in to enjoy the splash pad but plenty of great places for the kids and parents even without the splash pad. The gardens themselves are very well thought out and have great picture spots. We actually arrived right as it started to rain and thought the paths would not be good after it rained but they were actually perfect. The gravel they use on the paths made them not muddy and very enjoyable to walk on even wet. The rain actually cleared the gardens out of people so we had the place to ourselves for a while after the rain stopped. They have a very nice cafe for food and drinks. And the staff was great.

What an amazing place! So many beautiful trees, unique flowering plants, sculptures, mosaic art pieces, and other visual surprises. There's also a children's garden with things to climb on and a water feature to splash around in, plus a lovely shop and cafe. Don't know why there aren't any other positive reviews here; this place is a gem and well worth the visit.

We do enjoy visiting this botanical garden 🪴 We are pass holders (which I highly recommend. It’s a bit more than a regular entry but well worth it, as you get entry into several other gardens, as well). They have special events throughout the year that you won’t want to miss. We just went for the holiday lights (they have a special night for pass holders). It was pretty, as always, but it seemed like they didn’t have as much this year. Don’t be discouraged though. Be sure to check it out during the day too. There is a little cafe, but it doesn’t appear to be very dietary restriction friendly. They have a kid zone which is Awesome and a little gift shop too.

Been twice and will be back again. I find it therapeutic just to wander through the beautiful trails.
Lots of labels so you can identify the plants. Highlights for me were the gorgeous water lilies on the pond and the kaleidoscope area. The visuals were stunning. Trails are easy to follow, mostly in shade. Check out the Hall of Giants for some history. You can do most everything in 2 hrs. Separate event: The annual car show (Feb) was crowded- come early next year or plan to park offsite and take a shuttle.

A lovely historical "jungle" barn and garden that have been restored! The current exhibit of avian sculptures made it interesting and fun to search for each one, and signage provided information about each bird species. Numerous plants were in bloom. This is a perfect afternoon excursion, and you could have lunch in the cafe. We saw people of all ages. Peaceful, lovely trails that were easy to navigate with a map. Not all paved, but I did see some light wheel chairs being pushed.

I’ve been to 3 botanical
Gardens in the last few weeks and this by far is #1 out of all those. The Christmas tree light display was beyond incredible. Everything was set up so perfect and precise. The staff was very friendly and guided you like you were on a tour. $15 admission. Got there at 6pm when it opened and it was packed already. Will return next year for hopefully another visit.

This place was a 2 hour drive for me and 15$ a piece to get in (2 of us) but when I tell you their place was so well worth it it was. You can spend hours in here and just get lost. I love it and will
Come back it’s gorgeous in here!!!!!! There is a cafe inside so no need to leave just enjoy
Such a cool little place! We stopped in as we were driving through Okeechobee and definitely glad we did. It’s self walk through and by suggested donation. My son loved walking up to all the animals (which were double caged) and it really allows him to feel apart of the experience. It’s cool so see so many different animals in one place and cohabiting!

What can I say except this place is AMAZING!
We were staying locally for doctors appointments in Orlando. With spring break going on as well as a Pandemic - we were a little hesitant. We didn't know what to expect (We have a high risk child).
We arrived a couple hours after they opened - there wasn't much people at all. You are immediately greeted by the welcoming committee of Arnold's though (the cats lol) as well as a very friendly deer.
It's not too big but we saw almost every single animal. It's not like the zoos at all. Your able to see each & every animal. There's no crowd of folks you've gotta walk by or put your kid on your shoulders just to be able to see the animals. There's also a nice garden to take a stroll through. Not huge but cute!
The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful as well. My child LOVED coming here and as parents - we did too. It just felt so much less stressful - you can easily enjoy and breath. Lol
Beware of the deer walking around though. He saw my husband saying hello to HIS ladies behind the fence and didn't like it. He decided he was going to try and take on my husband until he moved away from the fence. Can't blame him though :)
As for fee....they run on donations. Kids are free but they do ask a $10 donation for adults. Honestly - if you were considering donating anywhere I would say donate it here. You can obviously tell while there that it's going to a GREAT cause.

What a fantastic adventure. You can tell the caretakers love the animals, their jobs and making visitors happy! Short staffed and still took the time to bring out two baby animals for us to hold and pet before we left. So much more than I imagined for a small rehab facility. Great Job!

Such a neat animal sanctuary! We drove over an hour to check out this place and it was great. We got to pet some of the sweetest animals, walk through a beautiful butterfly garden, and even hold a baby raccoon! We were able to see so many different kinds of animals and got to feed the deer. Staff was beyond kind and welcoming to us; they made an effort to have conversations with us and brought out a sweet baby raccoon for us to hold and love on. This was a really fun place and we will definitely be back again!

This place was amazing! Super friendly staff, family friendly, great alternative to the zoo. I would highly recommend this as a fun place to take the kids on a day trip. There are picnic tables under a pavilion where you can eat your packed lunch. You can even bring apples and carrots for the deer! Great place!

We are South Florida residents and LOVE Arnold's Wildlife Rehabilitation because it is truly a hidden treasure. The staff is knowledgeable and provide a real hands on experience if they have any available animals. They are great story-tellers and truly care for the animals that have been brought to them. This is not a zoo--this is more of a rescue and with the hope that many of the animals can be released. Cierra and Kimmy are dedicated staff members and truly made our family feel special while we were there. While we were there we fed the chickens, took pictures with the peacocks, walked through the butterfly garden and learned about all of the animals. We received a special treat because they had an influx of rescues and were provided the opportunity to hold a baby raccoon and armadillo and then feed a fawn. This was truly like no other experience I have ever had. It is $10 per adult and children are free--but please remember they do take donations as well. We brought towels, dish detergent, extra money and lots of fruits and veggies for the animals. I honestly can't say enough nice things about this place! Do not miss out on this adventure;) Go to Lake O park after and bring lunch. Great day trip!

It was a wonderful place to bring a young boy. There were so many animals that kids could interact with firsthand. There were two panthers there and they were really exciting to see. Sometimes you go to these wildlife places and you don't end up seeing half of the animals because they're all sheltering from the sun, but that was not the case with Arnold's. Our tour guide (I think her name was Celeste) was very knowledgeable and took a lot of time to share with us. I recommend Arnold's Wildlife Rehab Center.
Ken Thompson — Google review
Our family visited Arnold's not expecting much to see. How surprised then we were to find so many remarkable creatures (some of them really fascinating).
Our little boys got the welcome of a lifetime by a hissing juvenile alligator (of course, caged). They were ecstatic when hearing the koukaburras laughing (incredibly after having learned a few days before of their peculiar bird call). And they found it hard to get away from the very funny acting capuchin.
All in all, it was a great experience for us all as a family. We ended up visiting twice. It does more than deserve the suggested donation and the staff's caring for their animals is commendable. A 15-30 minute visit is enough for most people.
This high-energy casino features slot machines, poker & bingo, plus a 24-hour American restaurant.

My first time visit at this quaint casino located in "Old Florida" and I look forward to returning. Southern hospitality quite apparent - excellent customer service!
Different to many other casinos in that the ambience is relaxed, kicked-back.
I appreciated the holiday decorations both inside and out. The icing on the cake would have been a holiday jackpot, but maybe, just maybe - next time. ;-)

It's a nice place and the people are nice. It is a bit small but they do have a non-smoking section. The food isn't bad though the fish and chips could be better. I will try the hot dog next time. I believe they will be building a new casino there and it should be done by the end of 2024. We are looking forward to that.

Enjoy the smoke. Cough cough. Small, non-smoking playing area. Gambled for hours, but I didn't see anyone get a handpay. Interesting vibe and casino. Won't return. Very clean, friendly staff. Decent slot payout and the restaurant is reasonable with some pretty good food. And they have the Seminole fry bread with honey butter and in house made potato chips that were darn good. Table games and a new casino and hotel are going up in late 2024.

Casino was very nice, We went to their restaurant and the food was fantastic, However, they took my card to pay the bill, and they were gone 20 minutes , I had to chase the waiter for my card back. He stated he gave it to the cashier. In the next couple of days, I started getting $1000 transfers on my account. I realized I was hacked, and obviously, it happened here at this place. Be aware of the workers for scams. I was scammed and will never let my card leave my hand again. I will pay cash her if I am to return....

The Brighton casino is a nice place to come and try a hand at the black jack table or poker for that matter. They have only two handful of cards tables. To make up for that they have over 100 slot machines varying by style and price to play. If you’re wanting a nice dinner with fellow players they have you covered. Great tasting food made fresh to order at a price you’re sure to afford after one last round of luck. Come happy, be merry, and leave with a smile.

This is not a personal experience, but a general comment based on reading your reviews and general views on casinos. We are considering a trip to your facility.
I understand you and other casinos want to provide accommodations for smokers. But to do it at other customers health expense is inconsiderate at best.
Why in the world can't the casino industry reverse the allotted space for smokers and non smokers? Or, even better, have a separate building for one or the other. Again, more space allotted for non smokers.
I feel also that it is very unfair, and borderline abuse of the casino employees. If we can't legislate consideration for other people's health, maybe your industry could at least care enough to help. Your thoughts?

This place was amazing. It doesn’t look much from the outside, but once you journey along the bridge into the park you’ll see another world. They have a deep rooted story behind the beginning of the park. A vast amount of alligators as well as other animals on property. If you want a close encounter with an animal, it’s really inexpensive. It’ll make a great memory and an even better photo opportunity. Amber was a great help and knowledgeable, and very entertaining when feeding the large alligators. The rest of the staff we saw were hardworking and cared for all the animals they have there. Make sure you see Goliath and the Albino alligators. They are fascinating and rare. It will be a fun and educational place to take your family to. Recommended!

Today was our first visit to Gatorama and it certainly will not be our last. Everyone was welcoming and passionate about crocodilians and it shows. We came for the Hatching Festival but found more adventure feeding gators *and* crocodiles(!) from the boardwalk, holding a piebald alligator, watching the Fast Hands feeding demonstration, and listening to staff excitedly tell us everything about their favorite crocs. One guy even coaxed the Orinoco crocodile out of the water so we could see her better.
The Hatching Festival is truly an amazing experience and one I hope to get to repeat. The team of staff and volunteers make it easy to let a baby gator hatch in your hand. There's not a long wait for your turn and they let you take as many photos as you want. There are several hatching times so everyone gets as much time as they need, although some of the babies are ready to go from the moment their head pops out.

This has got to be one of the coolest places I have visited recently, being able to see and interact with so many gators and crocs is a one-of-a-kind experience, forget an airboat ride if you want to truly see these amazing creatures stop by this place, there is also a few other animals to see.
The only place to see a blue-eyed gator (which I am totally in love with) to be able to stand in front of these gators and feed them is the most intimidating adrenaline rush mixed in with awe of how the staff was able to tame these incredibly large animals on land.
Now let's talk about the staff being genuinely kind and knowledgeable (Thank you Ben, Allen, and Mrs. Patty, this was truly an experience we won't forget and definitely will repeat).
Gatorama is a little gem everyone needs to know about.
Trust me make the trip stop by. You will not regret it.

To be honest I was hesitant to come here. But my husband talked me into it and I am so glad he did! This place is amazing. I loved everything we saw and everything we learned. Dan and Christine were so awesome to talk with. We would love to come back and spend even more time. I know it says people typically spend an hour and a half here but we spent three and enjoyed every minute. We paid to feed Dozer the tortoise and that was so special. But now I want to come back and try holding the python, Blue and maybe even try catching a gator. Go visit Gatorama you won't be disappointed.

It's $25/adult for entry, which gives you access to a viewing walkway for the adult gators, viewing area for juvenile tanks and some exotic animal exhibitions. There's a vip ticket that gets you close up (like in the video). If you're road trip and need a break from driving it's an interesting half hour stop.

What a cool experience. Gatorama has a super friendly staff. From the ticket sales to the shows, it was a cool experience. We really enjoyed the self guided tour of the animals. The enclosures alone are worth the price of admission, but there were also shows to see. Cody was entertaining and full of facts and comedy as he fed the gators and put on the experiences. This place is do much more than just gators. Well worth the money. Also, a huge shout out to the owners for the Veterans discount. I never expect a discount, but I am truly grateful for businesses that offer it. Overall it is very family friendly and safe for all ages from young to old. We will definitely be back.

This place epitomizes the ‘Old Florida’ sort of attraction. It’s off the beaten path, funky, bare-bones. Plenty of gators in all sizes. I accompanied my 4-yr-old grandson, whose class was doing a field trip there — all the kids loved it, especially when handling ‘baby’ gators, and I guess that’s what matters most!
Awesome town! Wonderful walking tour of amazing murals. Definitely stop at the Chamber of Commerce to see the mural film.

Lovely murals. Nothing open on Sunday?😣 Many sad tourists. Very limited restaurants, and most offer only breakfast items. 🤔 Beautiful lakes. Another sad feature:Many shops even closed Monday's, and IF they are open, only till 3:00 PM. If you enjoy walking through a " CLOSED TOWN" and viewing murals, during the DAY..NO LIGHTING AT NIGHT, you will enjoy Lake Placid.

The murals of Lake Placid Florida are an experience not be missed. Several recently added murals are beautiful. There are 47 historic murals, 17 one of a kind trash containers all companion pieces to the murals, and 49 bird plaques all over the business district. Come visit the Town of Murals that Reader's Digest named "America's Most Interesting Town".

Great example of Public Art in the Town of Murals - Lake Placid, Florida. These are just a few of the dozens of murals around town. As an owner of several rental units, land, and a home in Highlands County, I have been apart of the community since 2001. With that said, I'm still a fan of the murals and have "walked the town" each time I make it to Lake Placid.
Dozens and dozens of wonderful murals – some as large as 175 by 30 feet and others filling several stories on downtown Lake Placid buildings – are painted throughout the town. Pick up a guide ($3) to these murals at the Chamber of Commerce - where there's a 10-minute video you will thoroughly enjoy - and then take a leisurely drive or casual stroll to see the story of cattle drives, of Lake Placid’s pioneers, of Native Americans who lived 10,000 years ago, of sandhill cranes and the citrus industry, and larger-than-life local residents like lady rancher Jennie Reninger who was so good with a bullwhip she could snap a cigarette out of your mouth from 10 feet away – one of the earliest anti-smoking campaigns, from what is advertised in the guide.
You haven't visited Lake Placid if you don't visit the murals. Highly recommended - 5 stars and an almost free ($3 for the guide) experience. My recommendation is to walk the mural route. It's a much more enjoyable experience.

We stayed at the campground over Labor Day weekend. Campground itself is really spacious with very large sites. Most of the sites are 30 amp electric with water but no sewer. There are a few sites with 50 amp service. We were lucky to get a 50 amp site. That allowed us run both of our conditioners. It was an extra hot week.
There are some really great trails in the park with lots of wildlife. There were deer roaming the campground every day. On the trails we saw armadillo, water moccasins, wild pigs. My wife saw a bear cross the bike path/ trail.
They have a nice store on site that has all the essentials. The Rangers are really helpful and nice. They don’t normally cut your grass while you’re in your site. With all the rain we had ours grew really quick during the week that we were there. The grass was really long and they were nice enough to cut it for us
Overall it is a really great place and I would recommend it.

The park itself is very nice with hiking trails throughout and a few bike paths. The Cypress loop under the canopies of tree branches for cars and bikes is beautiful and serene. The campground was disappointing with the amount of sites cramped in with little or no separation. The weekend campers transform the campground into a loud, kid ridden environment who like to let their dogs get wander off leash. If you want peace and quiet avoid Friday and Saturday.

I really wanted to give this park a high rating due to its historic nature (it is Florida’s first state park) and also because some parts are truly awesome (Cypress Swamp Trail), but I just couldn’t. The problem is that all the trails are very short (30 minutes are less). Many are connected so you can make a long walk of it but it still tends to take the fun out of things. You might even find yourself driving from one trail to another, which isn’t much fun. The Cypress Swamp Trail is a must see piece of Florida, but I wish it was 2x or 3x larger. One cool thing about this park is the old boardwalks on various trails, some of which are only single rail. There are also many impressive trees on other trails that are highlights. Given that Cypress Swamp is the most popular trail, it has a decent sized parking lot. Others typically had smaller lots with 5-6 spaces. On a Saturday in March, some were filled up. Almost all the trail walking here is under the shade. Note: if you drive into the park from the east, the gravel road is VERY bumpy for cars so be careful.

The trails were beautiful and well kept. Really appreciated how well maintained the park is. The primitive camping sites were also very clean and beautiful. We saw a coyote and other wild life. I would give it a 5 star if the primitive camping wasn't so close to a main highway. I could still hear cars and that wasn't the vibe but overall it was beautiful.

Great piece of nature! It's the first Florida state park, and it's a must-see. Primitive and non- primitive campsites are available. Wildlife everywhere, so have your cameras ready. The C.C.C. museum, next to the supply/gift shop, is certainly worth a visit. If you happen to be camping in the summer months and looking for a place to cool down, then take take a drive ten minutes up the road in Sebring to Lake Jackson, a beautiful, clear, public, and free swimming spot.

Deep in the subtropical jungle! gorgeous trails - hiking, biking ! The boardwalk trail has haunting views as it winds over the moving water! Part of it is closed now, but enough is intact for some amazing views and deep shade cover! Spectacular central Florida environments with many trails and picnic areas. The camp store was a welcome surprise with flush toilets, snacks and water for sale (plenty of other stuff too!). The tram runs in season and the museum was closed on July 4 when we visited but they look intriguing! Bikes for rent! A lovely picnic area near the camp store. The drive there was beautiful!

Nice Florida campground with helpful, friendly rangers. Narrow road driving through campground past mostly tenting area with many vehicles parked along the road. Campground was full and busy when we were there. Camped in site 42 which had a low limb - keeping us from backing well into the space. Rangers were planning to remove that limb. Space was large and fairly private. Parked on grass with water and 50 amp electric. Was fairly easy to get into, as there weren't vehicles parked along the road in this area too much with more RVs in this section. Interesting hiking trails. We were disappointed that the CCC Museum wasn't open when we were there - lack of volunteers. Campground is close to town with shops and restaurants. Good AT&T phone signal.

I love this Park! I renewed my annual Park pass and it was half off today until January. The park is amazing! Had lunch there and walked some trails . The weather was beautiful! The camp store was open but the museum was closed I'm sure they are getting ready for season. Awesome day at the park!

We enjoyed this park. They could improve on their park map for trails. We started on fern garden trail then it lead to hemlock and on the live oak trail. Those trails on the maps are not marked well and ended up taking the road back on the loop. It’s a beautiful hike but a little worrisome not being able to locate our car or any restrooms around near roadside trail heads.

Lovely State Park. Hiking trails are very nice. I was a little disappointed in the scarcity of wildlife. Everyone raves about the tram ride but I was here in January when every day broke the record for new Covid cases and I was not comfortable taking the tram where no one was wearing a mask and there was no social distancing. Campground was very tight with campsites very close together. Rangers and camp hosts were very pleasant and helpful.

Beautiful park. Lots of short trails 👣. There's a small store and CCC museum. Nice picnic area. Campsites are ok. Since are very crowded. Not much privacy, if any. It's still one of our favorite parks.

Awesome park, great for walking. The trails are so well kept and easy to navigate. Park ranger was so helpful at the gate. The trees are beautiful here, the trails are awesome. The whole vibe of the park is great. They have a CCC museum which is very nice to get a little bit of history on the parks. Definitely will come back.

This is one of the best parks I have been to in Florida. Very calming and relaxing atmosphere. I loved looking up at the gigantic trees and soaking in the spectacular sounds of nature at its finest.

Thoroughly enjoyed this state park. $6 entry fee to get in. We hiked several of the trails and saw lots of beautiful views. Dog friendly except for the Cypress Swamp trail, no dogs allowed on that boardwalk for some reason.

We really enjoyed spending time at the park. The museum gives an in-depth history with illustrations and artifacts about the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) whose members built this park and many others across the country back in the mid to late 1930’s. The trails are well kept and are great for leisure walks. We saw people riding bikes and jogging. There is also an area for family camping. We’ll definitely come back.

Beautiful trails, most being pet friendly. They have camping a general store, bathrooms. There’s a ton of trails I’ve been here at least 10 times n still haven’t been on all of em.

What a beautiful park. We chose to drive through and get out and walk a couple small trails. There are plenty of trails to choose from. You can also camp in sites or “the wilderness” as they put it. There is a spot to rent bikes, a small gift shop for souvenirs or snacks. The restrooms are very clean. There is a conservation museum and also a place to have small music in the park events. But the beauty of the park was my favorite. So many different trees and plants. The swampy part was my favorite. We did not see any alligators or bears. But we did see bear droppings.

Very good, lots of trees, all sizes and kinds, private... boardwalks, pretty cool....it's hard to find shaded hikes in Florida....this one hits the spot......u won't be disappointed.
Octagon Wildlife Sanctuary (OWS) is a refuge for abandoned wild animals that provides self-guided tours to visitors. This facility receives support from the surrounding communities due to their exceptional care for unwanted exotic animals, mainly large cats. Recently revamped and well-maintained, OWS ensures that all its residents are healthy and content in their environment. Care-givers at this sanctuary are friendly and helpful, making it an enjoyable experience for all who visit.
OWS is an amazing facility! The love they have for unwanted exotic animals is amazing and deserves the support of the surrounding communities. This is my first visit in over a decade and they've made changes. The animals look well cared for and happy with their environment. I plan to revisit when I have more time to just sit and visit with the animals. If you've never visited or heard of OWS please take the time to support their mission. These animals deserve to be loved!

The people at Octagon care for abused, injured, and unwanted pets (like tigers, bears, and lions) who suddenly outgrew their stupid owners apartments 🙄😪
Octagon Wildlife Sanctuary is a non-profit organization that exists for decades and lives on through the hard work of about 35 volunteers these days.
They are closed to the public since early 2020 to keep their animals safe from Covid-19 (not the other way around).
We support them regularly since we came here years ago for the first time. If you can help, please do!

My husband and I enjoyed this tour so much. It is an incredible opportunity to see such beautiful, majestic animals up close. We learned a lot about these animals and their stories. All the volunteers were so friendly. I wish I lived closer so that I could volunteer!

Definitely an amazing place to get up close with animals you rarely have an opportunity to see. It’s not a zoo - doesn’t even feel like one. The passion and care you see for these stunning creatures is so genuine - it’s all volunteer based, so you know these caregivers truly want the best for them. Tracy was so knowledgeable and friendly with our homeschool group, and welcomed our questions. It’s heartbreaking to know some of the backstories, but it’s heartwarming to know these beautiful, special animals are loved and cared for! They are 100% funded by donations, and proceeds from tours and their gift shop. If visiting or live in the area - I would definitely recommend booking this tour!

Would absolutely recommend this rustic sanctuary that a few great humans, dedicated to these beautiful wild animals, are doing their best to enrich and bring comfort. A very special place. I left feeling so grateful for this experience. Grateful for these people who volunteer. These beautiful creatures great an small are so very incredible, each with their own personality. And the wee monkey that loves to watch cooking shows, my heart.

It's a rescue for animals that cannot go back into the wild. All funds are used for food, upkeep, veterenarian bills, etc. Animals have plenty of space with toys and pools. In most cases there is a description with the animals background and how they came to the sanctuary.

I have been to Octagon a handful of times while visiting my parents in Florida. It truly is an animal sanctuary. The time, very hard work and love the volunteers put in to these animals is out of this world. We have missed you the past couple of years but have the utmost respect for what you are doing to keep the animals safe. Shame on those who are trying to mock and bash you for your actions. People like that don't belong anywhere near a sanctuary. I believe some of these people do not realize how much you're sacrificing by keeping Octagon closed to the public. Keep on keeping on guys. Can't wait to visit when the universe allows.

Low key rescue center for retired animals who were once pets, circus performers and even on TV/movies. Run by volunteers who really care about the animals. Great place for kid as well as adults seeking a pleasant, calming environment.

We absolutely loved our tour! The animals are well cared for and seemed happy. You get to see them from a few feet away. Our tour was only 16 people and lasted an hour and a half. We had plenty of time to see al the animals and never felt rushed. Lots of shade and places to sit if you need to. Go see all the beautiful creatures!

We went to Octogon Sanctuary as a Homeschool trip. We Loved our experience! It's a small place as in not a huge corporation but very cozy and welcoming because of their staff. We were able to see each animals personalities shine and we were able to be pretty close and even feed some! The staff helps make you feel welcome and are wealth of knowledge on each animal on their compound. My kids learned a lot and our visit sparked an interest in new animals and they pretended they were some of the animals they saw. They have portapottys for bathroom facilities and a small gift shop and no water fountains so come prepared with your essentials and snacks. This was the best experience we've had with animals like this we've been to many zoo's and this doesn't compare its on another level. All the volunteers show nothing but love and respect to these beautiful beings. Go check it out. Support their cause, they are doing the right thing by these animals. 💕

Wow! Lions, tigers, bears, monkeys, tortoises, peacocks, lemurs!! All had been "kept" by "people" who then didn't or wouldn't care for anymore!! Octogan & these animals are cared for by volunteers!!! The animals all have names and are well taken care of & they all have a story!! Had a 2 1/2hr "tour" to meet them. Nice to see they have a safe, healthy," normal" place to live- it's not back "in the wild" but is better than how they were treated prior. If you're an animal lover will appreciate & enjoy!

Megumi Aldrich — Google review
We appreciated the experience on the tour to see the volunteers engage with the bears, lions, tigers, monkeys and parrots and the tour guide was so nice and knowledgeable.
It saddens me that people writing reviews are bashing this sanctuary. Although the enclosures at Octagon aren't the largest, the staff and volunteers rescued these animals (many were sick, traumatized etc.) when the animals had nowhere else to go. Octagon is clearly doing the best they can.
If you have ever been to places like Big Cat Rescue, you'll see that the enclosures are not that much bigger than those at Octagon. Octagon is a credible sanctuary as well, and doesn't breed or exploit their animals.
I understand feeling sad for the animals, but bashing the sanctuary is cruel and hurtful to animals themselves and affects their ability to be cared for. We should support their efforts and donate our time and money to help fund improvements in the enclosures.
I would recommend visiting Octagon. It's a great opportunity to learn about and see up-close exotic animals. But please go with realistic expectations, an open mind and a loving heart. Be respectful and the cause it represents. It's a great day trip for your kids so they can learn about the life of exotic animals and what happens when they are bought as pets and exploited as babies, and the reasons they must live in captivity. At least in captivity they have a second chance to live a full life with love, food and enrichment.

I was unsure going into this tour because any time I had gone to the zoo and seen animals in enclosures, I always left feeling incredibly sad. After doing the guided tour at this facility, I left with tears in my eyes at the amazing love each of these animals receives from all the volunteers.
The care that is provided by everyone at the sanctuary and how much they genuinely love these animals is inspiring. They pay attention to all the little details and preferences of each animal and make sure that they are accommodated. With each animal’s different personalities and quirks, modifications have been made to every aspect of their day-to-day lives and each enclosure so that they are happy and feel safe.
We got to watch them play in their own personal pools, the different toys for brain stimulation, eat, and even get some special treats from the volunteers (appropriate diet-safe treats of course). All the primates even had their own TVs to watch!!
It is so clear that each animal is well cared for and feels safe. They would run over to say hi when they heard the volunteers voice or roll onto their backs, exposing their belly, and take a nap. As we were leaving, one of the volunteers was sitting and chatting with a Macaw!
I loved every minute of that tour and my heart is so full. Thank you to all of the volunteers that take care of these animals!!!!

I wouldn't call this a zoo, but more like a rescue zoo. You get to see the animals up close and learn about their lives. I recommend going if you want to help and see the animals. I found this place while searching for a bird's wildlife rescue sanctuary close by; otherwise, I don't think I would've known of this place.

I’ve seen social media posts and photos of Octagon and always thought it was “a regular sanctuary” you could find all over FL. Let me tell you how wrong I was! I learned so much about the history and current methods of animal care and safety, which really showed just how much they prioritize animal welfare above all else. This place is run entirely by volunteers but it is maintained as if there’s a full time staff. The grounds and enclosures are in great shape and you can tell the animals are relaxed and happy. Some of them never knew a kind hand until they arrived here, so seeing them so settled and peaceful is heartwarming. For tours, they give the animals treats and enrichment activities so you get to see them active and engaged. If you go in the morning you’ll likely see the team of enclosure cleaners making their rounds…watching how much work they do to keep the enclosures clean and safe was an added bonus! This is the kind of place you wish you found sooner and can’t wait to go back to for another visit. My heart was full as I drove back home and now I want to volunteer there!
Punta Gorda's Muscle Car City Museum is a car lover's dream come true, with over 200 muscle cars from the 50s to the 70s on display. There's also a gift shop and a retro diner, making this an ideal spot for a day of nostalgia.
Muscle Car City was amazing and worth the trip and the entry fee. I could have spent the entire day here viewing the incredible display of automotive history. If you are a General Motors fan, Chevrolet, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, and Cadillac this is the place to visit. I was impressed by the inventory of cars and by the meticulous care and overall presentation. They have plenty of cars to view but also have signs, gas pumps and other items of automotive history. There was something new every time I looked closer. I intend on visiting again. The entry fee is reasonable and they offer an annual membership too. There is also a classic style diner on-site for breakfast and lunch. Make sure to talk a walk through the giftshop too, there's something for everyone!

Absolutely breathtaking the atmosphere and nostalgia of the history and vehicles in this museum. GM only car museum, as a Chevy guy I was in heaven. It saddens my heart knowing this place is closing the doors permanently next week due to covid and the owner wanting to retire. To anyone reading this before Jan 17th you must come check this place out. I drove almost 2 hours to come see this place and it was worth it.

Solomon's Castle
Castle
Shopping
The artist himself gives tours of his aluminum castle & collection of art made from recycled items.
Absolutely love it! Arthur Solomon was obviously an absolute genius, a phenomenal artist in so many different mediums & techniques and a brilliant businessman.
I was cycle touring through the area and saw a nondescript sign for "Solomon's Castle". On a whim, I decided to detour and check out the"aluminum castle". There was so much more than just an aluminum castle 🏰.
When I arrived onto the property, I met the late Arthur Solomon's daughter, and she gave me permission to plug my gear in for recharging whilst touring the grounds and the castle. I didn't realize until later that she was his daughter, she was so humble I thought she just worked there.
Stained glass windows, wooden artworks, a wooden ship that houses a restaurant, and innumerable other treasures all hand made by Arthur Solomon.
And the property is still run by his family. What a tribute to a legendary man.
The only thing missing, is not being able to meet the man himself, as he sadly passed away in 2016 at the age of 81. How I would have loved to have been apprenticed to a genius of that caliber.
'I make things. Arthur Sanford Solomon".

This place was such a hidden gem! The family that owns it is a great family. Their heart is in it. Listen closely to the tour. I visisited with my two children 10 & 12 and they got many of the well written puns that flow with the art work- if I say more, I'll spoil it! The grounds are well kept, and beautiful for pictures. The boat on a moat/ pirate ship restaurant was homey, clean, and old Florida. The food was great, southern style. We loved the ice cream desserts, we had after the tour. . Angie was our server and she was the kindest, the other waitress was super kind too, the service was great. All clean! It was touching to get to talk to the staff and owners. One of my favorites was right before they end the tour you'll see a beautiful dining room with a door to nowhere. I highly recommended this place for a family, friends or date night. Go before July ends!

Worth your time and then afterwards have a great meal. Reasonable prices and home cooked. You can eat lunch or dinner followed by dessert! Family owned and ran. Great people too
Don't miss out!!! Open Jan-June closed on Mondays otherwise open 10a-4p T-Sun. unless you have dinner after they don't rush you. Very nice and friendly about it. Great people! Photos aren't allowed inside the castle or in the car collection area but everywhere else is game. You won't regret!!

The castle is a very unique place. It is cool to see all the creations of Solomon including the castle he built and the boat in the moat restaurant. It is a bit pricey to walk through but you are allowed on the grounds and can eat at the restaurant without an admission charge. It is a good place for kids as well, if they like sculptures and creations out of recycled material. You can not take pictures inside the castle.

I’ve been here before. It’s a trip worth while to visit the castle and the antique cars. Please have cash - only deal with this. The first trip we ate from the dinner menu - it was very good. This trip we had lunch - it was fair. Reason 4/5 stars. However there was live music outside 4/5.

The castle and the grounds are beautiful. I can't remember the name of our tour guide, but he was amazing. Don't skip the walk along the creek. Knocking one star because lunch was mediocre (wait staff was great). But a BLT should have real bacon, not the tiny precooked (and half frozen) microwave strips of fake bacon.

Solomon's Castle was a unique and cool experience. Solomon's metal art showcased in the castle was impressive, and the creativity extended to a fascinating ship restaurant. The addition of a gift shop and a lighthouse added to the charm. However, the $35 price tag for a single tour seemed a bit steep, especially considering the remote location. We opted out of the tour due to the cost, but the overall atmosphere and Solomon's artistic touch made it a memorable visit nonetheless.

Amazing artwork! The "corny" humor some have commented on are exactly what the artist scripted for the guides to say about his art. It was endearing, like your dad's jokes... punny for sure. We went with friends who had been before and wanted to go again. There is a lot to see. Nice area to walk around outside. You can take all the pictures you want-- outside only. The Café is pretty good. We did go see the classic cars on the Encore tour. Very nice vintage Fords 1930s and older in great shape and some other makes. Highly recommend both tours!!

The castle has very interesting architecture, the materials are mostly from recycled items. The most unique aspect are the 100's of amazing metal sculptures and wood block paintings made by Mr Solomon. He was a genius. There is also an extensive collection of pre1935 vintage autos kept in 2 separate buildings.
He built a large wooden boat which holds a restaurant where visitors can eat lunch. Additionally there is a very nice outdoor patio where you can also eat lunch in nice weather. The food is very good and reasonably priced.

One of the most surprisingly awesome places to spend a few hours. In the middle of nowhere but worth the 1.5 hour drive from Tampa. The 45 castle tour is awesome. Howard Solomon was a legend, albeit gotta imagine a lot for most people. Hell of an artist. Boat restaurant on the property serves a great lunch. Gift shop is a bit weak, wish they had some reproductions of his art for sale. Overall tho can't recommend this place more for a random visit. A+++++

If you're looking for a quaint waterfront shopping complex with specialty shops and casual restaurants, Fishermen's Village in Punta Gorda is the place to go. There's also a marina and lodging onsite.
So many great shops to go to! if you’re looking for tourist clothes, hats, jewelry and more, you’re definitely going to find it here. only downside is that the restaurants typically have a long wait time and are often a bit expensive. Would recommend checking it out for sure. right on the water, lots of great boats and views.

We went for Thanksgiving dinner. Had reservations for 530 but didn't get seated for an hour.
Crazy busy. Service was great but food was really good. Mixed green salad, crab salad(yummy), green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, gravy, turkey and prime rib! And for dessert there was cheesecake, chocolate cake, pumpkin pie and pecan pie. Everything was so delicious and it was all you can eat for $36 each person plus your beverage. You do have reservations. I have never been here and the view was to die for, overlooking the Harbor. I will definitely be back!

Beautiful sunsets to enjoy at some of the really good restaurants there. Some shops are more pricey and high-end, and some are more reasonable with expected tourist apparel and souvenirs. We always like coming here. Plenty of places to shop, several eateries to go to (there are a few more open now) and great views of the river/bay area. It gets busy in the fall and winter, of course so be prepared to have some wait times at the restaurants. They have really improved on the area since the original opening back in the day. Christmas lights are a great touch so kudos to the staff that put these up. The whole area is clean and well organized.

Adorable little shops, watch some candy making, and enjoy a couple of good restaurants. 💗 There is even live entertainment on occasions! This place is definitely worth checking out! 🥰

The sports bar Restaurant half way down has fabulous burgers. They have gluten free buns if you go that way. They are actually tasty. Nice view of harbor. Every time I have been there they had a band or singer. Nice atmosphere with bartenders that are generally senior friendly. I say that because the younger people on our left and right arrived well after us but got served first and we had to go and flag someone down. Maybe because I had my USMC hat on. This has happened last two times on a Saturday. I go there to watch Penn State Football and the bartenders always want to change the channel on me. They must think because I am old they can just shove me aside. Oh well, nice place. Maybe next year.

Upscale shopping and dining area on the water. Very nice to spend a few hours shopping the tourist type shops and then enjoy food and drinks. I marked it down to 4 stars only because the shopping and restaurants are typical in this resort type atmosphere. I did not mark it down a star because it was not nice. I marked it down because it had nothing out of the unusual that would surprise and delight you. If in the area I suggest you check it out.

A Captivating Experience at an Amazing Hotel - Unforgettable Sunrise and Sunset Views
During our recent stay, my partner and I had the privilege of experiencing the awe-inspiring beauty of both sunrise and sunset at the captivating The Suites. From start to finish, this hotel provided us with an absolutely amazing stay, leaving us forever enchanted by the mesmerizing views of the sun painting the sky with its vibrant hues.
One of the most memorable aspects of our stay was undoubtedly the breathtaking sunrise offered by the hotel's prime location. Nestled along the coast, The Suites boasts a privileged position, allowing guests to witness nature's spectacle from the comfort of their own room. The moment we drew back the curtains and welcomed the first rays of the morning sun, we were overwhelmed with a sense of tranquility and gratitude. The horizon, adorned with shades of pink, orange, and gold, together with the gentle sound of crashing waves, created a blissful ambiance that set the tone for the perfect day ahead.
Equally astonishing were the hotel's sunset views, which were nothing short of magical. As the day drew to a close, we found ourselves at the hotel's rooftop terrace, overlooking a panorama that seemed straight out of a fairytale. Basking in the warm glow of the setting sun, we witnessed the sky transforming into a canvas of purples, blues, and fiery reds. The surrounding mountains and the vast expanse of the sea blended harmoniously, creating an indescribable moment that left us in complete awe.
Apart from the magnificent views, The Suites impressed us further with its exceptional service and attention to detail. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist in any way possible. The rooms were elegantly decorated, offering unmatched comfort and featuring large windows that maximized the view. The hotel's amenities were top-notch, with a well-appointed spa, exquisite dining venues, and a variety of activities geared towards relaxation and immersion in the natural surroundings.
We cannot fail to mention the hotel's commitment to sustainability. The Suites actively engages in eco-friendly practices, promoting the preservation of the surrounding environment. This dedication resonated with us and enhanced our overall experience, allowing us to truly appreciate the beauty of nature in its purest form.
Overall, our stay at The Suites was an enchanting experience that surpassed our expectations. The opportunities to witness both sunrise and sunset each day were a gift we'll forever cherish. If you are seeking a hotel that offers a truly magical blend of remarkable scenery, impeccable service, and a sense of connection with nature, look no further than The Suites. A stay here promises lasting memories and a heightened appreciation for the natural wonders that surround us.

Popular place so it is a little hard to find parking.
There are plenty of shops to find treasures, or just browse.
Restaurants were buzzing with people. There is a variety of food to please every taste bud.
There is a bar in the center of the beach (no swimming) with live music .
It was a very pleasant day.

It's worth a stop, but many stores are generic tourist stops. You probably won't be able to make an afternoon of it, but you could kill a couple of hours.
There is tons of parking, and the restaurants are fun with great views!

Great little place to walk around to visit some shops, restaurants or even hear some live music. They have a cute little beach area on the river with a few games for kids or adults. Also a great place to see some christmas lights and decorations

We enjoy the variety of restaurants and retail this mall has to offer. We very much enjoy the Pier for their food and drinks. The only real problem with Fishman's wharf is parking. There is never enough and often I have had to find parking off site.

A great place to spend an afternoon! Lots of shops mixed with restaurants and bars. Great atmosphere with some open areas giving the feeling your outside and all built along the waterfront. So pull up a chair at your favorite restaurant and sit seaside or hang out at one of the bars with your toes in the sand. Either way you will enjoy your time with friends or family!

Everything was wonderful!! The atmosphere & the food was fantastic.
The margaritas were wonderful.
We sat at the bar and listened to music.
It was just a lovely lunch.
We will definitely be back!

My husband & I had breakfast here last week for the first time.
The place was clean, but freezing! The light fixture above our booth was moving from the blast of air conditioning blowing on us & on our food. It cooled my pancakes down right away. My food was a good price at $6.99! I got 2 med pancakes, 2 sausage links, & 2 eggs too. Hubby got an omlette that was good, toast & hashbrowns that were not at all crispy, mostly white. We will try this place again, but be sure to sit in a better place there. Don't be in a hurry as though not too busy, it took a long time for the food to be cooked.

Fisherman’s Village is a really nice place to spend an afternoon shopping, relaxing by the water with a cool drink or an ice cream most of the time there is a small band or singer playing! If you want to watch the sun set come an hour before Sunset to get a seat in the Campfire pit chairs and watch the beautiful Sunset! You also can go out for lunch or dinner, there are several Resturaunts on the water to eat! Captains table is one of the places we have dinner. The food is very good, prices are reasonable and the view is very nice!

Fishermen's Village is an absolute delight! This charming waterfront destination offers a unique blend of shopping, dining, and entertainment. The variety of shops is fantastic, ranging from boutique clothing to specialty gifts, providing something for everyone. Dining here is a treat with a range of options offering delicious seafood and more, complemented by stunning water views. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, perfect for a day out with friends or family. The marina adds to the scenic beauty, making it a picturesque spot to wander and relax. Highly recommend Fishermen's Village for a memorable experience by the water!

The Peace River Wildlife Center is a refuge and rehabilitation center that offers educational tours to the public. It is located next to Charlotte Harbor, and specializes in preserving native wildlife by housing injured animals year round. The center also hosts regular events showcasing different animal species.
Let me start by saying the birds here are rescues and most likely would not survive in the wild. Donation requested to enter is $5 or $3 for children. Example of birds I saw were several types of owls, American eagle, red shouldered hawk, sandhill crane, vultures, and many more. There are bathrooms, trails and picnic areas adjacent to the center and a gift shop too.
Tim Lynn — Google review
I absolutely love this place! The birds are beautiful and cared for so well here. The volunteers show a passion for the animals and have so much knowledge to share. Each time I have been there I have had volunteers tell stories about the birds and more information about them. I plan to continue to come back more and urge people to donate and come learn about the birds here. They also have a cute gift shop at the end to buy shirts and other items as well!

What a great discovery! We met some friends at a nearby restaurant and I saw this on Google maps. Being an avid birder I decided to surprise my group by going there. We were very happy we did. A lot of lovely birds near enough in large cages for you to interact some. Volunteers had several birds out so you could see them up close. Amazing to see the Great horned owls up close and hear them hoot.

I adored this place. Staff was amazing with tons of knowledge for the animals and you walked in and knew the animals were very well loved and cared for. The owl was awesome and the crow who says "HI" just made my day! There is also a cute little playground and beachy/picnic area on the other side if the parking lot where you could relax with the kids and have a peaceful day. 😊 Great time!
Misty Russell — Google review
We really enjoyed walking through here and learning about the bird. The staff are outstanding - friendly and knowledgeable, with stories about every bird. They had a great horned owl out while we were there, and later a kestrel, so you really got to get up close and see them. Absolutely stop by here if you have a chance.

Only a half acre with lots of heart, and with plans for a new 3 ACRE space nearby!! They have many great species of birds and other wildlife being housed here. Many of them wouldn't survive in the wild either due to injuries, illness, or their natural coloration (like Luna, Peace River's most well known bird, a leusistic Screeching Owl)!! Peace River Wildlife Center is FREE, with donations being one of their owl-nly sources of funding, so stop by and see Luna and all the other wonderful birds and animals and consider making a donation!!^-^

These people are very kind and willing to take the time to about their animals. Very passionate for their work. And on top of that, the enclosures themselves are fairly well maintained. Its not any kind of huge zoo and has the primary focus on birds, but its still nice to spend spme time to appreciate the wildlife of Florida. On top of that, this is a wonderful location, right on the river with a nice picnic area, a boat launch, small pier, playground, sandy beach. Just a great place for a picnic or day outside the house

What a fantastic way to end the year!
Our family trip to the Peace River Wildlife Center was nothing short of amazing, and it's all thanks to the incredible experience they offer.
A special shoutout to our guide, Michael, who was a treasure trove of knowledge and kindness. His passion for wildlife and the environment made our visit even more meaningful. I also enjoyed speaking with Michael about technology.
The Wildlife Center is home to an astounding variety of animals, each more fascinating than the last.
But the star of the show was undoubtedly the American Bald Eagle. Seeing such a beautiful and majestic creature up close was a humbling experience and easily the highlight of our visit.
I can't recommend the Peace River Wildlife Center enough to both visitors and locals. It's a gem that truly encapsulates the beauty and diversity of our natural world.
And the best part? There's no entry fee! They operate on recommended donations, making it accessible to everyone.
If you're looking for a memorable and educational experience, this is the place to be.
Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to connect with nature and support a fantastic cause!
And make sure you stop by the adjacent hotdog stand before you depart!

Highly recommend! We went to the beach yesterday (May 14, 2022) and it was P.E.R.F.E.C.T. Only $3 to park and plenty of parking spaces when we arrived at 11:30am. Gorgeous sand, beautiful shells, refreshing water. Clear...you can see to the bottom! Very friendly people there too. Don't listen to the poor reviews! We are locals and this was our first time there. Best beach we have been on since living here (30 years between the two of us).

It's a nice beach. White sand, lots of shells, but no parking with a lot of people. If you are looking for something more secluded, pull off on a side road. This is where you'll find a secluded beach. There is a rip current here so be aware. Nice restroom facilities, but there is always a line. Walkable distance from food. South Beach Bar is a 6 minute walk.

The Bocca Grande Island is very beautiful. Since this is a private island the cost for the entry is $6. But the beaches which I went to including state park with a beautiful beach( crystal clear greenish water, very calm) was free. Not all beach accesses have showers or restrooms. The Gasparilla Island State park has both and it’s free. There is not much to sightsee on the island, mostly residential areas and a few restaurants, which were closed. Some hotels probably offer food, but not many. If you plan to spend time on the beach then this is definitely the place.
Anna Krysinska — Google review
Cool day but came over from Atlantic Coast for shell hunting. Boca Grande did not disappoint. Town was great for a quick lunch too. Only problem (especially north end of island) locals do not give access to beach. Thank goodness for this state park with many areas. Loved that bicycles and electric carts were tge preferred way to meander around. Lovely sunset too.

This beach is BEAUTIFUL!! We went on a Wednesday so it was not packed at all. It was $6 to get across the bridge onto the island and $3 to park which was cheap. The water was refreshing and esthetically pleasing. Coming from Massachusetts you don't see water and sand like this so it was a real treat. I would definitely recommend!!

It doesn't get much more beautiful than Boca Grande. The beach near the southern tip of the island is quiet and peaceful. Shells are abundant. The old railway bridge ruins make for a cool backdrop. It's not too far of a walk to the public restrooms which are clean and well maintained.

Very nice and secluded beach. We had fun. The water had a lot of algae and a strong current. I wouldn't recommend for inexperienced swimmers. The waves were nice. It was very empty when we went. Lots of sea shells on the sand.

Very nice beach located at the southern tip of Boca Grande. Great views of the Gulf, Cayo Costa (an island across the channel) and the jetty. There is a lighthouse and museum, with restrooms as well. Currents can sometimes be fast and tricky, so don’t venture out to far.

I love the beach it's not crowded, for those who like fishing, it's a good place too next to the beach.
Probably one of the best uncrowded and clear water beaches in southwest Florida. Great to soak in the sea salt water and watch the beautiful boats go by.
Catherine Bill — Google review
anyone who goes here needs to know that it is dangerous to enter the water anywhere near the pass on the intercoastal side. However the gulf side beaches are some of the nicest clearest waters around and the is no dropoff to worry about. Just ensure when you go they are in a "red tide" event, this will ruin your trip. If it is then just head east to the atlantic coast and enjoy a favorite Jupitor beach where you can enjoy the reef up close from the beach.

What a heavenly beach. Absolutely beautiful. Nice clean bathrooms are available. Not very crowded. I tried fishing here and had an absolutely great time. I caught lots of small fish and I cought my first pompano (and it was a keeper) very exciting.
Brandon Cornell — Google review
Not a good beach for families with little ones. There’s a big drop off, broken shells are abundant and the day we went anyways, the sea was rough.
We did see fish even in the little ways we went in. However, water wasn’t as clear as I was expecting from all the hype we heard about this area. (Went mid October)
No manatees or any other wildlife.
Church was closed, lighthouse museum was open, but didn’t go in as we were all in our bathing suits.
Did find 2 Sharks teeth without digging around & son’s picked up some larger whole shells.
Entry fee and small parking fee.
This time of year, all senior citizens at the beach except for us.
Lots of people fishing from the beach however didn’t see anyone catch anything.

6/12/2023 UPDATE:
Since Ian happened last summer, this beach has lost a lot of sand. The beach is much narrower and the drop off at the front isn't as deep but now the water level is a bit deeper than it was las summer. My sone is now turning 4 in August and the water was a bit deeper on him. It's still nice and I got to see a manatee again this year and that was so exciting !!
Original:
This beach is pretty quiet and just relaxing! We were a little bit north of where the pinned Boca Grande Pass spot is (aroung the 5th street entrance) but I just want to review the beach as I saw some say it wasn't kid friendly 😁
it's a narrow but nice. The sand is a bit shelly but bareable being barefoot. The current isn't bad at all and the waves come in at an angle. I have a almost 3 year old and he loved the fact he could walk out probably 30 feet from the shore and still stand on his own (its knee to hip deep about 50 feet out I would guess). The waves weren't too bad and he did really well for his first ocean trip! There is a slight drop (maybe a foot or less) at the very beginning and the shelly sand ends at the sea kelp line (you can see it in the photos). Just on the other side there was just pure soft sand. I even saw a manatee and was so happy I got to see one 😁😁
Thanks for reading my review and hope you have a great beach day!

There’s a $6 bridge toll. Card or cash. It doesn’t read the transponder. It’s a private bridge.
Lovely and quiet beaches. A little narrow. Not many washrooms just portaloos. Perhaps it’s recovering from the hurricane. It looks like a wealthy island though.

One my favorite beaches! It’s beautiful and clean! There are manatees that swim around this area so be on the lookout! I’ve heard manatees are friendly though. Unfortunately there aren’t any wash station around. There are portable potties.
Before getting to the island there is a $6 toll but we’ll worth the trip!

I love love this beach! We love coming in the evening! When we came, literally no one there. Had the whole beach to ourselves. You do have to pay a toll fee of $6 & $3 for park fee. Worth it though! The water was super clear! Brought our snorkeling masks & saw a whole bunch of fishes, starfish, shells! A must bring - goggles if you want to explore. The sand is white & soft! There's so much seashells. Saw big lizards in the marshes, minding their own business. Saved for future visits.

We are visiting and discovered this place. What an awesome spot to hang out on the beach and watch the sunset! Beautiful scenery everywhere from the amazing beach to the super nice houses. I would definitely come here again!
Natural swimming pool consisting of a wide sinkhole filled with mineral-rich, 87°F spring water.
Old Florida at its best. Nice grassy park with the only public "warm" mineral spring. Still not warm enough for my taste in winter, but it would be cozy in summer. Renovations currently mean no facilities other than the gift shop and portable bathroom trailer. When finished it should be really nice.

Viability was around 10 feet. As much as I love the temperature of this springs and enjoy exploring some of the different types of fish I’ve seen in it ranging in size up to about 1.5 feet, I’m still smelling the sulfur in either my hair or sinuses 3 days later with a shower each day. As much as I wanted to make going here part of my regular swimming routine (I was able to achieve a PB for breath holding and tried equalizing underwater here for the first time) I don’t know that I can stand smelling sulfur this much for such a long time after.
Jenna Citrus — Google review
I arrived right when they opened. So at first not a huge crowed and great fully found a lounge chair and a great shade spot.
I entered the water and of course you can smell the minerals, ( I expected that!) But turns out there is a direction you should go around the spring, lol. I of course didn't know this and proceeded to make my way around in the water "against" the flow, not so bad for the first lap, but as more people arrived and entered the water, the current picked up and I had to turn and follow through masses! ( it was like swimming up stream, till I switched.)
Although there were tons of people, the field around the spring is very large and accommodating. I rated it 3 stars because ...$20 to enter???
Also..be aware...great people watching and you'll have the joy of hearing several different languages. Greek, Italian and Bulgaria....I found that part intriguing

Wasn't super busy since it was 97 degrees out. However, the water was nice and cool compared to the heat of the day. Spent about an hour there in the afternoon. If I lived closer and not a day trip. I would go more often.

I went in the late afternoon. It cost way too much to get in. I can say I have swam in a WARM spring. But it is very dirty and murky. It is very outdated and the facilities are in trailers. I will say they were clean. It looks like there used to be an actual building before, which is completely run down.
Negative - The people who took my money did not warn me. The lady was quite abrupt.
Positive - The Lifeguards were amazing! They explained that the later you come the less clear the water is. That the Spring changes over everynight..
ATTENTION If you're foing to go, try to go early. Also, it's not a Hot Spring It is a Warm spring.
I've gone once and do not plan on going back.

Facility is currently under construction. But it is still well maintained and fairly clean, the staff is super friendly and helpful. Pleasant experience overall. There are three sections in the pool, kids section (up to 10), teens section (11-16) and adults section ( 17 and up) that's the deepest part of the pool.

Unique, Natural Warm Spring with a fascinating history (read about it). Great Day Trip that is sure to bring you peace and tranquillity as you float in the mineral rich waters.

Angela Ginise — Google review
There are a myriad of mixed reviews on this place which originally made me not want to go, but I did end up really happy that I did. It is expensive, but I personally did think the health benefits, relaxation, and experience was worth it. However, I can definitely understand how it isn’t for everyone.
Firstly, it is true that the facilities are run down. There used to be a cafe and gift shop that are currently closed. Currently there is the admission area and the restrooms and that is it. So when you go there are no inside space it is only the spring and then the grassy area around the spring. The chairs and loungers are dated as well and most do have broken slats, that being said, the area is perfectly serviceable.
Parking is super easy and free, restrooms are okay and you can always find a chair to grab or space to sit for relaxing, reading, or sunbathing.
Second, the spring itself. It DOES smell like rotten eggs-it is SUPPOSED to smell. This is a mineral spring and this one contains the most mineral content of any mineral springs in the US. It contains sulfur which, naturally, smells bad but also gives it the majority of the health benefits that the spring does have. It also does have algae around the edges of the spring that does get stirred up the more people are in the spring. So by the middle of the day there is a lot of algae in the center and a lot of dirt kick up. If you want it to be less dirty, go as soon as the springs open and leave early afternoon. In the morning, most of the algae is on the sides of the pool instead of floating around and the water is clearer. The water itself isn’t really dirty-it just isn’t the crystal clear water that is characteristic of other Florida springs and the minerals probably cloud the water. Definitely not the best place to snorkel. As for the temperature, it is warmer than the other springs in Florida, but it’s not a hot tub-warm not hot-meaning it’s going to feel a bit cold getting in but you aren’t going to freeze. Its comfortable enough once you are in to stay a couple hours.
Third, the health benefits. Here is what I noticed:
-immediate skin benefits, acne/dermatitis/eczema relief and intermediate skin purge (under the skin pimples may come to the surface of the skin)
-pain relief- for about 6-8 hours after exiting springs muscle and joint pains completely vanished for this time but comes back after the time period. After one soak the benefits seem temporary but for those with chronic pain it is so nice to have a day without the normal pain.
-body detox-mostly just know that you may need to be near a restroom a lot for 2-3 days afterwards 😆
Overall, I do think this spring is worth it for the health benefits, but you have to remember it’s a natural spring/sinkhole with an ecosystem of fish and algae and NOT a luxury spa. There’s grass and dirt and therefore ants and bugs and small lizards. It smells, and you are going to smell like sulfur for about 48 hours.
Bring your own towel, lots of water, and some snacks. You will be hungry and thirsty after! From research on mineral springs do two sessions about 45min-1 hour in the water with a break in between and wait a couple hours before showering.

This is the hole in the ground that you need! The warm water, the minerals absorbing into your body. I felt ( I won't lie and say brand new), but I did feel better the next day. Just love the idea of nature being used the way it should be. A must experience!!

Lovely place! Really like it! It's sad that the last hurricane destroyed it. Hopefully, some repairs and remodeling will be done soon. As the day price is too expensive, and still, the charges for the kid are way too high.

Not as cold as the other springs has a little of a sulfur smell but its not horrible. Very clean bathrooms, which is a huge bonus. I am definitely glad we came here
Stump Pass Beach State Park is a serene location with an extensive, isolated swimming beach and a 1.3-mile trail that traverses five different natural ecosystems. The park boasts an abundance of native flora and fauna, and visitors can engage in activities such as fishing, swimming, hiking, sunbathing, and shell-searching. Despite its beauty and tranquility, parking is scarce at the park - wait times for spaces can exceed 40 minutes.
Is parking very small? Yes! You may not get in it’s true. But I prefer it and will wait the 40 minutes if needed. This is still one of my favorite beaches around. So much treasure hunting. The walk through the path leading to the end is 1.3 miles. We stop off at all the little openings to observe the inlet, dip our feet in, watch the boats, and snap some photos. It’s beautiful. Then we make our way back along the ocean side collecting treasures. It’s a place I love so much. It’s worth the $3 parking fee for sure. End it with a picnic lunch. There are many tables set up with ocean views, just follow either the shaded path and find them along the Oceanside or walk along the beach and there are a few spread out along the shore. The bathrooms are well kept and there is an outdoor shower spray to rinse off. It is also handicap accessible which is wonderful.

A must-visit spot!! Gorgeous view, not a super crowded beach. Parking is slightly difficult, as you have to pay $3 on the honor system.... tons of shells on the beach!!! A great beach for spreading out and just relaxing without having a ton of other people near you.

Beautiful beach to find dozens of shark teeth and relax. We saw a manatee on the ocean side. We came by boat and just had the best time here. We saw a large parking lot also and I think there was a nice looking bathroom facility.

Beaches are amazing. Gulf coast sunsets are spectacular. Arrive early to get a spot. Once lot is full, you options are limited. Restrooms are available and there is a nice nature trail that allows you to access both the beach and Lemon Bay. Parking is only $3 per carload..

Beautiful beach with clear blue water. Lots of shark teeth all over the beach. When snorkeling we found tons of shells. Lots of paths to walk. Many areas of small beaches for fishing or sunning. We kayaked past Stump Beach and had a huge beach all to ourselves.

Amazing state park! We read the reviews online prior to going and saw it fills up quickly due to the limited parking space and that was true! We arrived an hour early and waited in line. The parking lot was full by 8:15 and the place opens at 8:00. The beach is a close walk to the parking lot, which is nice because the sand is extremely hot!! The water is a beautiful clear and most importantly, the sharks teeth was ashore in bunches here! There is a restroom, shower, and water bottle station on site as well. We will definitely come back!

Stump Pass is my favorite beach in the Englewood area. The parking lot is small so if you don't get there early, you will have to wait to get in. There's a $3 honor system at an unmanned station after you park. You can enter the beach from the pay station or you can continue past the bath house. There you can go right into the beach or continue down a partially shaded path nearly to the end on the beach, to the pass. Many boats park on the Lemon Bay side on the peninsula. There are lots of shells and sharks teeth. Happy hunting! I almost forgot, there's a kayak launch on the left in the middle of the parking lot. Dogs are allowed on the Bayside but not on the beach.

Very beautiful and peaceful place . You can walk 1.3 miles one way. You can see a lot of native trees and flowers. Also, you can fish , swim, hike, look for shells and sunbathe.
But, very limited parking. We were waiting for parking spot at least 40mins.

Excellent beach with trails. As well as kayaking/paddleboarding on opposite side of the beach with plenty of areas to pull over to rest and relax with small little beaches during low tide. Lots of dolphins and the occasional manatee. Great boating area for water-skiing and tubing.

Great place to find shells and calmer waves. Huge area of shallow waters so its perfect for kids. Bring cash to pay for park entrance! Its cheap but can take you off guard!

I love paddleboarding here. There's a dock on the left which is perfect. The beach itself has many shark teeth to find. I don't like how the beach closes at a certain time but other than that it's nice

Definitely worth the stop. Very clean and great paths all the way to the pass. The only problem is the parking, during the busy season its almost impossible to find a spot. I recommend riding your bike. Or ebike.

Beautiful beach with lots of shells. Water was a little rough when we went and a lot of the shell were broken. Also the nature trail was closed, so we were unable to go all the way to the end.

As a lifetime Floridian, I can say that there are not too many beaches on the west coast of south florida that have walking trails on the beach. It’s a beautiful place to boat, beach, walk, explore.

One of my favorite beaches in all of Florida. Natural beauty and beautiful water. Great for long walks.
For me this is the best experience of meyakka river park. The canopy walkway tower is about I guess 100 feet tall. When we get to the top we can see past the entire park. The walkway is pretty cool, a breezeway attaching two towers. Carry some coins to see through the binoculars. It's a steep climb to the top so gotta be comfortable climbing quite a bit. The wooden tower shakes a bit when people climb which was really cool.

Beautiful land and surroundings that feel like you are thousands of miles from civilization. This is what Florida used to be. See this amazing place and all of it's magical creatures. Time and nature are preserved here. Respect it and the creatures that call this place their home.
Truly wonderful for your heart and soul.

I travel to different areas to Stay and do bike trails. Even if Myakka State Park is not big it had lots of things to see on the way. The main attraction would be the towers. Is call Canopy walk if you want to find the 70 feet towers, great views and very well made.. I challange myself and is definitely a good spot. 👍 15 miles bike trail. The only dissatisfaction for me was that the Cafe is a small trailer near the building.. That would of been nice to seat and look out the windows to the lakes. They do have a gift shop. I got my fridge magnet for my memories. Bathroom were everywhere.... camping, kayak, bike rentals, bring your own and pay a fee. Oh! Is $6,00 per vehicle.

The Myakka Canopy Walkway is easily the best thing to do at Myakka River State Park! It’s a short walk from the parking area through a pretty Florida forest, and the walkway itself is pretty high above the trees! Don’t worry - it’s quite a sturdy structure, and it’s entirely worth walking across the bridge. Not too often do you get a higher view of Florida scenery, so when you get a chance, take it! There are some other great attractions at Myakka River State Park too, so be sure to give yourself plenty of time to do everything - not just the canopy walkway! It’s a hidden gem in South Florida!

Great state park, I found a video of the canopy walkway on tiktok and had to go! Make sure to get gas & water before because we we figured there would be a gas station nearby after we exited the expressway but there wasn't. They have 1 hr long boat tours, but it was raining when we went so it was canceled. But we were able to see multiple alligators from the balcony of the gift shop.
Nicolette Kwak — Google review
The park has trails of varying lengths, plenty of parking at each trail head. The trails are not marked, but the park rangers have decent maps that help. The canopy walk is about 100 feet in length and you must climb up 75 feet on wooden steps. The structure is well maintained and feels very safe. There are some wasps/bees on the structure (not aggressive if you don't bother them).

This state park is always beautiful to visit. Nice volunteers. And they have geocaching! If you don't know what it is google it. You won't be disappointed!

Excellent place to become familiar with the canopy niche. Plenty of aerophytes, birds and insects. Look closely for other plants and animals as well. In the distance you can see wetlands, prairies and the dense hammocks of South Florida. The nature trail leads you through the hammock at ground level. So keep your eyes and ears open for the animals.

Unfortunately still recovering from hurricane. Walkway is 25-30 feet in the air, but only about 40 yards long. Tower is another 30 feet up and probably has cool view of tree canopy. Seeing alligators on the river banks was the highlight for sure.

The whole park is lovely, but the canopy walk way is super fun. We visited during the week and had the place to ourselves. It's a lot of flights of stairs and if you have even a mild fear of heights, like myself, I recommend going when it is less crowded. You feel the movements of other people when you are on the tower so if that bothers you, again head out when is less busy. The top of the tower is quite small, only a few can be up there at a time, but that view is breathtaking.
Allyssia Brandon — Google review
Very nice park, lots of wildlife. The most alligators I've seen of the several times I've been to Florida. Boats were not running because of the drought and the lakes and ponds were very low. The canopy walkway was disappointing because I thought it was higher up and longer but still an interesting thing, mostly fun for kids, but the tower was pretty tall and you could see for a long distance.

Myakka never disappoints. We have camped here, but we came for a day trip, since we had to cancel our camping trip. I love the canopy trail, but there is so much to see in the way of birds and other wildlife. The boats weren't going out due to the high wind and chop, but plenty of people were enjoying the perfect sunny weather.

It's beautiful at Myakka State Park. Every area of the park is a different experience. The observation tower and bird walk are very relaxing. As you walk over, the preserve. And observe the birds in their natural habitat.
The deer are my favorite. Especially at dusk, in the summer. That's when they come out as the Sun is setting. Mama Doe takes the kids out for dinner. In May, at Myakka State Park, the coreopis bloom. The river and The Preserves light up with color. Every year, they come back a little different color . This year, the bloom wasn't as beautiful as usual . Because of the severe drought here in Florida.
Myakka State Park is beautiful at any time of the year. Especially after the drought. As the foliage dries out, it creates so much color and contrast in the forest and along the waterways. Of the Myakka River It's worth a ride from any part of the state. I am fortunate to be centrally located and surrounded by so many beautiful places, such as the Myakka State Park. SafeTravels 🏞
And also great Campground🏕

The campsite was huge and well cleared with plenty of flat spots for tents; the water out of the spigot was delicious and clean and didn't have that standard Florida sulfur taste; the state park staff was extremely accommodating and helpful; and the site was secluded from other campers. Overall, a fantastic experience!

An absolute gem. This beach was much less crowded than the other popular beaches in this area. Beautiful water and sand. The sand isn’t as white as siesta key beach but the atmosphere was better suited for what I was looking for. I like to enjoy the ocean sounds and nature and this fit the bill. A heron hung out by some fisherman hoping for a snack. The water was perfect for floating. It was clean and clear and warm. I could stay here all day. One of the best beaches I’ve been to. The sunset was gorgeous. I cannot wait to return. Here is a photo of the sand at turtle beach vs the sand at siesta key. Turtle on the left and siesta on the right. Parking is super close and free.

Great place to do some beach fishing. Go to the far end away from the entrance to cut down on the amount of swimmers. Pompano, permit, whiting, black & red drum, snook, flounder, bonnethead & blacktip sharks. I've caught a bit of everything here.
Water clarity ranges from turquoise to muddy brown, depending on weather conditions. Most of the time the water is really clear.
Crescent Beach, a charming and curving shoreline, is renowned for its exquisite white sand and stunning sunset vistas. Situated on Siesta Key near Sarasota, this idyllic beach offers an array of amenities amidst its powdery sands. The beachfront area boasts numerous hotels and condos, yet manages to maintain a more tranquil atmosphere compared to neighboring beaches. This hidden gem allows visitors to find their own secluded spot along the shore.
Beautiful white sand beach. Saw a pod of dolphins there on an early morning walk along the beach. Beach umbrellas are available to rent. One way line of parking available, but fills up fast. Turn around available at the beach end of the parking area. Short walk on a sandy trail from there to the access to the beach.

Crescent Beach ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beach
in Siesta Key, Sarasota, FL, USA
Sylvia 3⭐️= average/good
To visit this beach you need to be staying or living in one Siesta condos, houses or hotels on this side if the island. There is no parking available just to visit Crescent. You’ll have to go to Siesta Beach to park. This beach is full of walkers mostly in the morning but all day long there are thousands of people walking. Each of the beach front properties are flagged off for their guests. You can bring your own chair if you’re staying across the street and sit waters edge. Remember to check the tides schedule for best time to go out. Red Tide (the algae bloom caused by chemical spills) is usually between April & November, smells like a toilet if wind is blowing toward the gulf, it’s ok. Look up Red Tide Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission for latest guidance. The plus of this beach the most beautiful sunsets and a great place if you like to pick up a shell or two as a souvenir. Good for families and adults of all ages.

Spent an evening wandering the beach for an hour just before sunset. Would have stayed longer for sunset but our parking time had run out ($8 per hour, pay by plate on machine or phone, less than 10 minute walk across the street behind restaurants). We did pass about 10 free parking spaces down the beach access lane. Beautiful, soft sand. Warm water. Nice atmosphere of other people enjoying the beach. Lots of condos and beach rentals.

Physically it’s a beautiful beach, white sand and the water is clear. Definitely more seaweed accumulation and stagnant water at the south end of it near the rocks.
The only reason I’m reviewing this beach is because many of our family members got really bad cases of sand fleas and noseeums from this beach. It definitely hindered the trip for many of us and still do back at home now. So make sure you always have repellant on even for walks. Many in our party never went to the water nor layed out in the sand and still got them from sitting in chairs.

What a zoo. Major parking lot with long walk to the shore. Best super fine white sand I've seen but hard packed. Super packed with people and condos with the private property flags. Showers and restrooms, but start walking before you need the facilities. It's a long walk. Reminds me of Los Angeles but cleaner.

We've been coming to this area for years now. Seems like the famous beach north of this one has gotten drastically more popular since the last time we were here. I'm glad we ended up here in Crescent beach. There are many benefits.
1. It's a shorter walk to the water.
2. The water is calmer.
3. No incline or decline to get into water.
4. Less people.
There's only one bad thing in my book. I'm not going to deduct stars but the ditch drainage/street water drainage comes out on the beach and makes pools. I'm not sure if that's normal or what but it kind of grossed me out. Still didn't take away the beauty.

Crescent Beach has the finest sand that feels so soothing as you walk on it. The beach spans for miles and has so much space that it doesn’t feel crowded. There are options for kayaking and fishing. There is a trolley that you can use to quickly get to the village where there are shops and restaurants. I absolutely love it here for a peaceful and relaxing day. ☀️🙂
If you're looking for a botanical oasis in the heart of Sarasota, look no further than Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. This downtown campus features 15 acres of lush tropical plants, making it the only such garden on the planet devoted to epiphytic plants. Highlights include an orchid garden and a rainforest for children.
This place is a gem. Low key, like the rest of Sarasota, but there is a lot of heart in their staging. The variety of plants is wonderful, but the arrangement of scenes and sitting benches is inspired. Many great places to sit and reflect or read. Restaurant has lots of yummy choices, and today there was a food truck, too. Docents are very helpful and engaging. Mapplethorpe show was well done, and helped rehabilitate him for me.

Very nice botanical garden, definitely worth a visit. They have some epiphytes I have not seen in other botanical gardens. You can spend about 3 hours there and see everything in depth. They have free parking and it is 26 bucks a person. There are good ocean views and good walking trails. The mansion houses a mask exhibit and when I went they were auctioning the masks. The workers are very ready to answer questions and look like they are enjoying themselves.

Selby Gardens is a fantastic botanical jewel. En extremely interesting venue that has options for every nature lover. Winding paths with banyon and other trees overhead, colorful flowering plants, exhibits, a tropical greenhouse, fantastic vistas and so much more. There's a children's play area (more like a huge tree house city) that is elevated and has interactive exhibits that frankly, adults can enjoy as well. Selby Gardens also has several restaurants to dine in. The Orchid is very good, but know that it's expensive and may not be your best option for your dollar. If you're Sarasota and looking for a location to spend a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon at, check this place out.

What a delightful place to visit, brought my mom with me and when I asked if teachers got a discount, the person working the counter was eager and happy to tell us that teachers are free. They had free valet parking due to construction in their typical parking area, I had a little snack and a drink at the café. Although it was 93° out the breeze from off the water and the shaded areas provide much comfort from the heat. I was a little disappointed to find the greenhouse was closed, even though I had looked on the website I did not know this in advance. But I enjoyed it so much I’ll definitely make the two hour trip to visit again.

Attending Matt and Maggie Dorn's wedding at the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota was an unforgettable experience. The venue, a picturesque garden overlooking tranquil waters, was breathtaking, especially as the sun began to set, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink. The atmosphere was magical, almost surreal, and Annemarie and I were spellbound by the beauty of it all.
The ceremony itself was intimate and heartfelt, with every detail meticulously planned. Matt and Maggie, surrounded by the love of their family and friends, exchanged vows against the backdrop of the setting sun, making the moment even more special. The air was filled with emotions, joy, and laughter, creating an ambiance of pure happiness.
As the evening progressed, the celebration moved into a beautifully decorated area, where tables were adorned with elegant centerpieces and soft, ambient lighting. The dinner was a culinary delight, each dish more exquisite than the last, complementing the upscale yet intimate theme of the wedding.
The music was a perfect blend of classic and contemporary, setting the tone for a night of dancing and merriment. Annemarie and I shared dances under the starlit sky, the melodies creating a romantic and enchanting atmosphere. We chatted with old friends and made new ones, reveling in the joyous occasion.
The entire night was unlike anything we had ever experienced. The combination of the stunning setting, the delicious food, the wonderful music, and the great company made it a truly epic celebration. It was a night to remember, not just for Matt and Maggie, but for every guest who had the privilege of being a part of their special day.

I was thrilled to return to Marie Shelby Botanical Gardens long absence of 10 years. This place held a special significance for me and my husband as it was where he proposed to me. We were filled with excitement as we embarked on this journey down memory lane.
To our delight, we discovered that the garden had undergone significant transformations and welcomed several remarkable additions to its property. The abundance of beautiful plants and trees was a sight to behold. The meticulous care and attention to detail were evident in every corner of the garden.
One particular highlight was the introduction of stunning boardwalks that enhanced the overall experience. These pathways offered a sense of tranquility and serenity, providing visitors with the perfect opportunity to immerse themselves in the peaceful surroundings. It was a truly rejuvenating experience to wander along these paths, basking in the natural beauty that surrounded us.
The exceptional staff at Marie Shelby Botanical Gardens further enhanced our experience. Their friendliness and warmth made us feel truly welcome, and their dedication to maintaining the garden was evident. We appreciated their efforts in ensuring that every visitor had a memorable and enjoyable time.

Very nice. We were there during Tiffany Exhibit which was great. Not sure if special large stained glass decor throughout park was there because of Tiffany or they are standard displays, but loved them. Great that it sits along the bay. This place is a must see! If you like orchids you especially need to come see their orchid exhibit. They have an outdoor botanical garden that is beautifully maintained and raised wooden paths that give you a sense of adventure. The view of the ocean is particularly stunning and I’m sure must be wonderful at sunset (although we were there at midday). They have left the natural mangroves along most of the sea’s edge so it’s a great place to see that type of habitat as well. I was particularly fascinated be some of the really old mangrove trees with their roots so big that I didn’t think that still existed except maybe in the Everglades or abandoned islands. There is a cafeteria, and a visitor center which is all being replaced with a huge building across the street which is also part of the compound (probably the new visitor complex). I can’t wait to come back as my wife bought us a membership.

It was nice that they had the ability to buy cocktails in food while you walk through the garden. Highly recommend as a family Christmas activity.

An Amazing place to spend the whole day. Beautiful. Like a whole different world. Educational. Amazing orchids. Plants from many contents. I have 250 I wish I could share. They also have a flower shop. Should be on your bucket list good.

Absolutely spectacular! Right in the heart of downtown Sarasota, the Selby gardens is a lovely asset to the city. Beautiful gardens and unmatched views of the bay. I can visit again and again and it’s different every time. We went for the holiday light event this year and i was blown away! It will absolutely be a yearly visit to see the lights from now on! I do recommend buying tickets ahead of time as they sell out, especially right around Christmas. Great for families, people of all ages and interests!

A beautiful afternoon at the botanical gardens. Be prepared to walk thru all the gardens and special exhibits overlooking the beautiful beaches and surrounding areas of beautiful plants and trees and landscapes. It was an awesome afternoon of casually strolling the magnificent grounds and witnessing mother nature in her finest. Kudos to the expansion project, which seems to be complete. Such a beautiful peaceful date with mother nature.

We haven’t been in almost 10 years and was pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed walking around the gardens and the interactive exhibits. Impressed with the number of volunteers and many are so friendly and willing to share their knowledge.
Nice, parking garage (free)

The new and extended Gardens are just wonderful! The added space really has made such a difference, and the new restaurant is marvellous. Light, airy, welcoming and friendly, the food is sublime. Can't wait to go again!

Spent a lovely afternoon roaming around the gardens. Extensive tropical garden indoors with water trickling over the stone walls.
Waterfront along the estuary with views of Sarasota have extensive mangroves.
They close at 430. Allow a couple of hours.
There's a restaurant in one of the buildings. The mansion has a small tour inside.
It's 26 dollars for adults, admission.
It's definitely a great way to spend a day

What an oasis! To think all of this beauty, diversity, art and natural tranquility is minutes from downtown Sarasota is staggering. The parking is incredibly convenient. The volunteers were beyond helpful. And our visit was free because we’re members of another Florida garden — Bok Tower in Lake Wales. Such a gem.

Parking was a little confusing. It wasn't evident to me that the ramp was for the garden. It is. They don't allow outside food which was a shame because we packed a picnic lunch that we had to enjoy on a bench right outside the park instead of in the magnificent gardens. Even if you buy tickets online you still have to stop at the main entrance to get your sticker.

Really enjoyed this garden. It was beautiful! Wonderful display of orchids and all sorts of beautiful flora. Very well put together, the kids section is super interactive and my niece and nephew loved it! We got to explore nearly every part except for the education center/museum which I'll have to check out next time. They also had a great little bonsai display and I enjoyed the cactus garden too. They had a beautiful Christmas display up and whole array of lights that must look amazing at night. Really enjoyed it!
When in Clearwater, consider a day trip to Ellenton Premium Outlets for a fantastic shopping experience. The variety of stores and brands offers something for everyone, and the layout is easy to navigate. The friendly staff and great deals on quality products make it a perfect destination for savvy shoppers. The well-maintained facilities add to the positive atmosphere, making it an enjoyable shopping destination. While parking can be challenging on weekends, the overall flow of people in and out is smooth.
Was in the area visiting so didn’t expect much from this mall, but was pleasantly surprised. This is a quality outlet! Made it to aerie, Nike, Ralph Lauren, and crocs with some good deals. Regret not stopping by Jcrew. Definitely worth a visit.

A very nice place to visit for some good deals for just about anything you can think of. The food court is well below average but there are many stand alone restaurants nearby. Grounds all well kept and parking is better than most outlets in florida.

We shopped here while on vacation. I didn't initially like layout of the outlet mall but it was not as bad as I thought. The food court could use a upgrade but we were able to find a few good sales.

Many options for shopping. Huge parking lot. Not big discounts right now on all brands. Food court is not good, better to avoid. Worth to visit if you are looking to buy premium brands.

We go here to black Friday shop every year. This year will be our last. The "deals" at these outlets aren't deals at all. And the whole place is dirty. All garbage cans overflowing, bathrooms were disgusting. They don't make an attempt anymore to clean anything. Sad.

This is more of a WARNING than a review. The boba tea stand GREEN TEA SPOT at the ellenton outlets 🚫🧋🚫 sells disgusting tea!!! The pictures that are on display do not reflect what they give you. They show a lot of fruit in the drinks but what I got tasted like dirty water with low quality boba, and Nora single piece of fruit in it!!! 🤮 😠 😡
The Asian woman told me with a big smile on her face that "people don't like the fruit"
They don't have a Website and not even show on Google maps! So there's no way to leave a review for them. I forgot to take a pic of my drink sorry 😔 but you can test them for yourself.

We expended a lot of time here. We arrived when they opened, and we left around 3 pm.
In some brands, you can find good deals like Gap, Columbia, and Sweet Victorian.
The best prices were in Wrangler and Lee; I bought three pairs of jeans for $7.99 each.

Very pleasant place to shop. Clean. Lots of options. I didn’t get a chance to visit the food court as it was close to closing time, but the men’s bathroom was very clean. I would go again.

My fellow Canadians!! Please take note in this sincere review! I have been shopping here for over 10 years! Of late; the prices are the same if not HIGHER than any regular shopping experience in Florida! Especially in the Tommy Hilfiger and Polo Store. (Keeping in mind the 35%+ exchange rate). Have fun, but be mindful and careful of this so called “outlet mall”.

This outlet mall has a lot of different options for shopping. The stores are well maintained. Every store I visited I had a good experience with the staff members in each location. They have restrooms in a few locations and are well maintained. There is a food court, but it has limited restaurants. The prices and deals in the stores are worth the drive. Parking can be difficult on the weekends, but it does flow well with people in and out.

Went down there with my wife. She shopped around a little bit. We were in and out of there and no time. She had a great time. Found everything she needed in a couple of the stores. Prices are good. Usually the place is pretty crowded though. You can spend an hour in the Bose store sitting in there sample room. Very tourist oriented.

Nice spacious shopping mall with great deals on clothing items. It’s spread across multiple directions and has shaded walkways . There are restrooms in each wing of mall.
Only thing we noticed is the food court not many food options and the shops sometimes close early. There are eating places within 0.5 miles. We enjoyed the Hershey icecream 🍦 shop it has a lot variety of ice cream .

Decent factory outlets. Traffic is just a bit of a pain right now with all the construction going on at the I-75 interchange and on/off ramps. This is all going on as of 2/17/2024 and has been going on for a while. Still may be at least a year before completion so just something to note in your trip there.

I recently visited the outlet mall in Englewood, Florida, and it exceeded my expectations! The variety of stores and brands offered a fantastic shopping experience. The layout was easy to navigate, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I found great deals on quality products, making it a perfect destination for savvy shoppers. The cleanliness and well-maintained facilities added to the overall positive atmosphere. I'll definitely be returning for more enjoyable shopping trips!

On 3/29 ordered the new lavender-matcha drink. The cashier rang me up for the wrong drink. The wrong drink was made after 10 minutes of ignoring my order while 5 other customers were getting their order after me. The drink was incorrect, they had to fix it and the young man that was making my drink was super slow, there was no customer service experience. He definitely didn’t want to be there. It took 18 minutes to get my drink. The worse service I’ve ever gotten at Starbucks…. The manager needs to do better on training her employees.

Not worth a visit. Dated, lack of stores and selection. One and done. Total waste of time. Better off going to UTC or Tampa Premium Outlets. Ellenton needs to take the “premium” out of its name. This is not premium in no way shape or form.
The Gamble Plantation Historic State Park is a beautiful plantation home that was built in 1839 and is one of the most famous historic landmarks in South Florida. The park also features a mansion with accurate historically-accurate furnished rooms, making it a great place for all ages to explore.
There’s no park entrance fee, HOWEVER the buildings are closed so if you want to see anything you need to get the tour. No Signs out either to tell you what anything is. So the tour is really a must!
Beautifully kept grounds , memorials and houses.

In early February we made a visit to Gamble Plantation on a Saturday. We were the only visitors there at the 10AM tour so were given a private tour by the ranger. He did a really great job explaining the rooms and the history of the area. Our kids, 15, 12, 10 enjoyed seeing the home and did not find the tour boring. I would come back if in the area with others who had not been before. We packed a picnic lunch and enjoyed that on the grounds under the covered picnic area.

The park ranger tour is highly recommended and you can sign up in the admin building. On the tour you learn all about the building of the home, the different owners and the history of the plantation. It was a hot and humid day when we were there and we were amazed at how comfortable the inside of the home was. The fact that there is no electricity in the building, no air-conditioning, fans or electrical outlets allows you to understand the value of the 3' thick walls and strategic alignment of the large windows allowing for a comfortable breeze and interior temperature.

Only surviving sugar plantation in S Florida. Beautiful green grounds. Plenty of parking and no entrance fee. Large picnic area. The Bldg was closed for a tour, so could not see the interiors of the antebellum mansion but enjoyed the rocking chairs on the porch!

Very interesting small plantation home. Check their website before you go. You'll definitely want to take the tour. Buildings are locked at all times. Plenty of parking. Nice small museum in the park office.

A most beautiful architectural masterpiece. See the museum prior to going on the tour.
It would be worthwhile if both the museum and tour guide spent a bit more time detailing the lives of the 160 unfortunate souls who did not want to be on the plantation (the slaves). The tour lasted half an hour. Although curt almost to the point of being rude, the tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the building. Remember to tip your tour guide!

Beautiful historical place, the only surviving plantation house in South Florida. The tour was great, we learned a lot and It is only $6. The house is beautiful, the yard is so green and well maintained. The museum is at the entrance, very interesting. Nice place to walk around...
