The hot spring pool at Norris Hot Springs flows into a cool spray system which makes it a fun place to relax. The campground has a live music venue in the evening, and is family-friendly during the day.
My husband and I are from Southern Illinois and visiting Livingston for our honeymoon and stumbled upon Norris Hotsprings. We were looking at a couple of venues for hot springs and what stood out the most about Norris' location was that we could book a private soak. Let me tell you the price was well, WELL worth it. 26° outside and the water was the perfect temperature. The gal behind the counter was helpful, personable, and an absolute joy to speak with. The 2 hr time slot was a perfect amount of time to decompress and unwind, with champagne and food to enjoy as well. They also had a gorgeous and talkative old "man" who graced us with his presence for a few minutes! 10/10 will be back whenever we make it back out here!

A unique spot to visit !
No chlorinated water or treatment of any kind as the spring flows at 60 gallons per minute.
Pretty nice place for a dip & a healthy bite to eat (or a drink if you’re into that kind of thing.)
I like the live music year round on the weekends. Get there early !
Only one pool & no cold water dip (there is a cold water sprinkler of sorts in the one pool.)
A spot to enjoy if you’re camping, floating or fishing on the Madison river.
A Montana tradition not to be missed !

Love coming here. Especially when we rent it privately. It’s literally the best option!! I have never been to the live music, but it always looks like a good time!

What a fun experience! Great place to chill. Family friendly in the day. Live music, adult style venue at night.

"You're simply the best, better than all the rest." I've been coming here all my life and while yes, it's busier now, only because it's wonderful! It still is what it always was- a natural wonder with better food and better atmosphere.
Elle Hayes — Google review
We had a private 2 person soak in early January/winter for 2 full hours and loved every minute of it. From the excellent water and temperature to the perfect playlist, music level, and vibe, this was an awesome experience. Not quite snow on the ground, but a nice crisp air in contrast to the perfect temperature water.
The bartender, Miles, was perfect - just the right amount of checking in on us and offering more food or drinks and mainly just leaving us alone to soak. Beer/wine/kombucha and great food without having to leave the water.
A perfect two hour experience and well worth it. I hope this place stays exactly like it is, wood floor and walls, minimally developed (just enough), and a great vibe.
No idea how it is when there's more people there, but I imagine this draws a great crowd of people who are comfortable with it exactly how it is, and it's still fun and worth a visit during the open admission periods.

This is a must to check out! The food is incredible and the new owner Miles is fantastic. Happy to have met him and his crew when we stopped by for lunch. Fresh from the garden we had a salad, chicken burrito, chips and guacamole and a special made pizza by Miles with pickles ! Incredible experience. Thank you!

3 drink maximum
Food was decent
Though the food/drink next to the pool is slightly weird, I appreciated it in the end.
Tent campsite was adequate for one night, but no shade and little privacy.
Showers were pretty clean!

I had a great time here for a 1.5 hours trip, even in the rain! Very casual and small, but the local food and bar was a lovely bonus. It was perfect as a solid traveler, the pool made it easy to talk to strangers and hang. Would definitely go back.
Margo Dalal — Google review
Nice pool for adults to hang out, kids too. $10 per adult. Wooden benches line the edge so you can sit and soak up to your shoulders. There is cold water spraying into the “pool” from above and that makes it cold when the wind blows. Food available menu has salads, nachos, pizza, rice bowls etc. also, ciders and beer. Changing rooms available and porta potties.
jennifer Taylor — Google review
We spent two nights at the affiliated campground here and had to spend a few hours soaking in the hot spring. It's a really cool pool with a wood slat bottom. They cool the water to around 100 degrees so it's comfortable, and have cold water spraying over part of the pool so you can cool off if the heat gets to be too much.
The real winner here was the attached garden-to-table bar and grill which had plenty of food and drink options. Many items on the menu are prepared with fresh ingredients from the extensive on-site garden!
Definitely a great way to spend an afternoon.

One of the best hot springs I’ve ever been to! The atmosphere was awesome, water was warm and the live music was great. Service up at the bar was friendly, quick and great too! Shout out to Miles and Annie who served us with smiles! Will definitely be back.

Very quaint hot springs in the town of Norris. The water is a perfect temperature with a wood base . Beautiful drive along the River . The hot springs does not provide towels or lockers so make sure you have a towel and be prepared to leave your belongings either in car or not locked up. They do serve beer and food. Service was ok. Very crowded the days we went on a Sunday. Plenty of parking. They also have RV sites .

Best hot springs in Montana! Friendly staff supplying you with local delicious beers and fresh delicious food. It's awesome when it's from their greenhouse as well. I recently moved so I'm going to miss you Norris. Thanks for all the great times ❤️☺️.

I somehow had high hopes for this place but it turned out to be a disappointment. The pool itself didn’t seem very clean and hygienic. The bottom of the pool was filled with moss and very slippery. It made me nervous. The restrooms and the changing rooms were stinking of pee. The food and drinks were good and that’s the only plus. I wish the pool was better maintained. The scenery around was very nice.

When I reserved two nights at this campground, it was only $33 per night (it's since gone up to $50/night). Given that and the "middle of nowhere" factor, I came into it with low expectations of a short stop on our way to Yellowstone.
What we got here, rather, completely blew me away. My only gripe is that the sites are very small - not enough room for a picnic table on the narrow site. However, the bath house was one of the nicest and cleanest I've ever seen. The surroundings are beautiful, and the access to the hot springs made it a great experience. There was a lady doing landscaping who was one of the hardest working people I've ever seen, and it shows in the beauty of the place and surroundings.
At $33, it was a steal. But even at $50 its still a solid value. Highly recommend!

4 of us adults did a private 2hour soak. It was amazing! Drinks(during) and salads(after) were delicious! Definitely a must visit when in the Bozeman area! Relaxing and unforgettable experience!
Fantastic Family Fun Day for 6 (ages 11-47). Highly recommend the Zip & Dip package. Perfect introduction of both activities leaving my kids wanting more, "next time can we do class 4 rapids and the 6 bridge zip". Thank you to the staff for unforgettable experience for our family.

Had a great experience. My wife did not want to go but was glad she did after. The views were breathtaking and Julianna was a great guide. Would definitely do this one again next time we are in town.

Our first time zip lining. Did the Classic and happy we did. Anna and Joey are great guides. The landing is easier and gentler than it looks! Fantastic views over the Gallatin River.

We had an amazing time whitewater rafting with Montana Whitewater Rafting. I have to say that aside from this place being extremely organized and very knowledgeable the guides really made it extra fun. I highly recommend this outfit to anyone looking to whitewater raft in Montana. I cannot say enough good things about our guide Clara, she was fun, professional, knowledgeable and very friendly. Thank you Clara for being amazing…

First off I hate heights more than anything but, I had a great time still. My wife loved every minute.
The zips were amazing and had great scenery especially the ones that went over the river.
The guides were really funny and kept everything light hearted which is what I needed so big thanks to Sean and kayden or k money. I believe that was their names.

Had so much fun! Family loved the experience. Lots of smiles and laughs. Thank you to the staff for being professional and caring. Also would like to thank our guide Zach ! We will always be grateful for the memories❤️

We had an awesome experience! Our guide Elizabeth was fun and knowledgeable…she made us comfortable throughout. My family has 2 non swimmers but we all felt safe and had a great time out at the river! Definitely give it a try if you are in the area…it’s an experience to remember :)

We were fortunate enough to be able to book in on the same day for White water rafting. Our guide was Gareth and he did an amazing job with us (2 adults and 2 children).
It was so hot outside that it was a great pleasure by each boy to be dunked in the water where it was calm.
Gareth was very effective at mitigating any dangers that we could have faced, especially with young children. At no point did any of us feel overwhelmed for our levels.
We found all of the rest of the staff to be friendly and more than willing to assist us with anything that we needed.
We highly recommend families to come here and enjoy the nature of the river.

Amazing experience. Did the half day more challenging Gallatin River run, our guide was Gavin Cooper and he was simply amazing, kept us all safe and made you feel confident on the river. Highly recommend this place. Get out there!
Erika — Google review
We booked a private boat for a family friendly "less challenging" whitewater trip as we had 2 young kids (ages 6 and 7) coming along. The river is high this time of year so it was a lot faster and rougher than expected. They put us with a senior guide, Robert and he was awesome! He gave clear instructions, and the kids were screaming with excitement (thankfully the photos confirmed this) the whole time. From booking the trip, getting outfitted with all the gear, drop off/pickup, etc....it was all super organized and easy! We all had a great time, felt completely safe and would highly recommend Montana Whitewater!

We had a great time rafting with Montana Whitewater! Our guide Cameron was friendly, easy going, and very knowledgeable. The staff walk you through everything you'll need for the trip and they provide all the gear, which is included in the fee. We had fantastic weather (I don't think Montana Whitewater can take credit for that, lol) and a really fun crew on our trip down the Gallatin. The youngest in our group was 8 and the oldest was a grandpa and we all had a great time! Definitely a must do experience at least once while on your Montana adventures!

We had an amazing trip down the Gallatin River with Montana Whitewater today! Amazing views and the rapids were an absolute blast. Our guide Barbo was a serious pro at what he does and kept us safe and very entertained! He was hilarious and also a wealth of knowledge about the area. We couldn’t have been happier. A cool adventure. Highly recommend!

Great time! Every single person we interacted with really seemed to love what they do
We did the less challenging white water rafting with our 7 year old. Henry was our guide and kept us entertained in the calm water and in the action during rapids
We also did a zip line with Kaiden and Chase (Chance?). These guys were amazing. Kaiden had our son attached to him for the zips, and he was incredibly patient. Our son was TERRIFIED in the beginning, but by the end he was laughing
Thank you for the great memories!!

The Big Sky Resort is introducing renovations to its Huntley Lodge and Summit Hotel, featuring over 200 guest rooms with updated and spacious designs. The hotel remains family-oriented with the inclusion of bunk bed lofts in select suites. Additionally, a new high-speed chairlift will be available for visitors to enjoy. This mountainside condo hotel offers upscale accommodations with sophisticated interior decor, complete with an outdoor pool for relaxation.
Great skiing at Big White. We had a wonderful Christmas in April with over 30 inches of new snow in a week. Terrain is awesome - from beginner to world class expert. Steeps, breathtaking views, tree skiing, blue cruisers, and big terrain park - there's something for everyone. I love the bubble chair lifts with heated seats. The village is small but has lots of character. We stayed at the Huntley Lodge and it was great, nicely updated. Will be back again soon.

Great resort. Lots of run options, large ski lifts with bubbles to protect you from the weather. Lines are short due to large and fast lifts. The staff is fantastic. The map shows lots of beginner hills. Brought my boys who are beginners and I think they are overly optimistic as many of the beginner slops are more advanced. Great place for experienced skiers not as great if you are a beginner.
Dale Wills — Google review
This ski resort is HUGE. You could easily spend 2 days here and not repeat a run. The amenities are awesome. Heated seats on some lifts. Covers to pull down over you when it snows. They have great areas for beginners— our 7 year old had a great time. But also double black options for experts. I love that they have an excellent adaptive ski program associated with the resort. We didn’t find that until the day we left, but still be back to have our daughter with Down syndrome take a class. The lift tickets here are pricey. No question. We used our mountain collective passes which made that part easier to swallow for us. 2 days at Big Sky almost parts for the entire pass.
Brooke BB — Google review
Huge! You would need several days to ski the whole resort, there are lots of various terrains and excellent lift and staff. The mountain is beautiful and you gotta go to the top if it's a sunny day! The base is not very good this year considering it's already March, I stuck on rocks multiple times when ski on seemingly untouched powder. Very easy to find parking and shuttles are very frequent if you park far from main base.

I booked the condo my friends own in Village Center for the week. The condo itself was very nice and clean, and the front desk staff members were friendly during my few interactions with them.
The relatively few on-resort dining establishments that were open were somewhat often closed during their posted business hours, leaving us to eat something we didn’t want or go off-resort.
The check-in process was confusing, and involved going to a different building than where we were staying, only to have someone escort us to another parking lot after quite a wait and get us checked in at the building where we were staying. I’d rather have been able to go to our parking area directly.
I was to park in the owners’ lot per my friends, but it was closed for an event the weekend we arrived. It was open after that for parking, but we were never given the code we asked for to access it, and had to park farther away during our time here. It was no dealbreaker, but for what it costs to own a condo here, I’d think the owners’ lot should always be available for them and their guests to use.
The hiking/biking trails and the disc golf courses are excellent. The hiking and biking trails are fantastic. The resort itself is in a beautiful location. It’s an outstanding place to get away and recharge.
Overall, the stay was very enjoyable, and the minor annoyances were acceptable considering the rates available at the time I booked. For people paying the current asking prices to stay here, the resort should do better.
Ed Wilson — Google review
Had a fantastic week here March 10-18. Great dump of snow midweek to give a couple of days of fresh powder - terrain is amazing with broad spread of difficulties from green all the way to triple? black diamond runs... The lifts are efficient and mostly with short lines. The tram system to the top of Lone Peak is a pay as you go system, with an additional daily fee on top of your existing lift pass. This cost varied from $50-80USD/Day and is based on expected demand. The tram caries only about 10-12 people each time, and only leaves every 5minutes or so, hence the wait times can be very long to get the lift (we waited 65 minutes), even when they only seem short in length. On a powder day, you feel a bit like you're letting the day go to waste a bit by standing around... But the terrain on lone peak is less travelled, so snow is less tracked. We had a deep powder run down Liberty Bowl (waist-deep powder) which was minimally tracked, so even for the cost of the tram add-on, I am still glad we did it!! It was phenomenal!!
Overall, not the cheapest place to have a family ski holiday, and probably would find a trip here with my whole family too cost prohibitive, but as this was taken as part of a conference trip, the tax deductible nature of many expenses made it pretty affordable overall...
Peter Delisser — Google review
Disclaimer trail maps make it look bigger than it is. It’s still massive. Don’t take the moose lift, it’s 20 minutes with no bar. But the glades are perfect. The bowl is fun. The catwalks are are long and the trails are smooth

This was an incredible and fantastic adventure. It is a thrilling activity surrounded by the gorgeous Gallatin National forest. Our zip-line guides were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this zip-line to anyone visiting the Yellowstone or Bozeman areas.
Only one word of caution, please check their website for weight by restrictions for safety. You can also rent a mountain bike, you can bike from top to bottom. There’s a lift that can take you to the top.

I have to say that we were truly amazed with the facilities, activities, food and service. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We came in July to visit some of the area’s national parks and wished we would have stayed one extra day to spend time on the grounds. We stayed in the Huntley Lodge and our breakfast was included in the Chet’s Restaurant. You never really have to leave the resort and there is no shortage of activities. Highly, highly recommend staying here!

I live and work at the big sky resort, our snow paths are phenomenal, a lot of various locations to rip the Nar worth every minute. The area host several events yearly such as archery, weddings, snow events, hiking events. Really worth looking into if you are a fellow Nomad like myself.

We had been coming to Big Sky for decades until they raised the ski rates a while back. However, we were able to take advantage of the early season ski and stay prices. The new upgrades on this mountain are surely worth it. Heated chairlifts, no lines, great customer service!!! Food was great and everyone was very helpful and friendly.
Geoff at Huntley Lodge was great and our first point of contact at checkin.

If there's ever a place suitable for skiers and boarders who have not once been on the slopes as well as those who have been on the slopes from the time they were in diapers, Big Sky is the place to be. It is truly massive, so much variety of terrain, amazing snow quality and gorgeous views. You want to do it Big, you do it at Big Sky.

The Good
- The Huntley Lodge is very nice and comfortable. The pool/hot tub area is nice however the jets were not working in one of the hot tubs.
- The breakfast was great! Plenty of choices and a great meal to start the day.
- The Peaks Restaurant and Cabin Bar & Grill were outstanding. Great dinners at both.
- Loved the Exchange area to get a quick bite, drink, and pickup groceries - however the lines for checkout was long and slow.
- The demo shop was great! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
- Ski valet guys were friendly and considerate.
- The skiing was fantastic! Lift staff were great!
The Bad
- Bell people didn't ask if we needed help with our bags when we arrived. We weren't directed to the ramp to roll our bags up.
- Check-in person had a bad attitude and was not helpful. Didn't solve problems especially for those who are first-timers.
- A lot of room noise from floor above. Walls and ceilings don't limit noise well.
- A lot of misdirection and miscommunication from ski rental shop when returning ski equipment.
- Ski instructors are great but more helpful when either be asked to help or being paid for a lesson.
We had a great time at Big Sky and would recommend it. I believe there may be need for additional training in soft customer service skills.

Beautiful scenic tram rides, views, hiking and mountain bike trails. Went with my husband and friends but would definitely come back with our kids. Saw many families out enjoying the outdoors; love to see it. Ample free parking. Don’t forget your sunscreen and sunglasses!

Very nice resort that is huge. They have a little bit of everything for everyone. My only complaints are the prices of everything. Be prepared to spend a lot of money if you come to visit or want to ski. We did a full day on Saturday February 4th, with lift tickets and rentals, and our son did a ski school for his age group (age 7). We wanted to do a half day Sunday. My buddy who did a full day Sunday paid $248 for a full day ticket, while I got a half day ticket around 1 pm for my son and I and it was $200 for me and $130 for him. He was a beginner and did not get off the magic carpet. That’s one thing that’s not clear on the website if a lift ticket is required or not for the magic carpet, or if I needed one to help him or not. Another thing was at the end of his lesson on Saturday his instructor said that they offered half day lessons and we should sign him up for Sunday. When we went to sign him up for Sunday we were told they don’t do half day lessons for his age group, that we could book a half day private lesson for $875 or a full day private lesson for $1075. Two waters at Madison village was $10.75. So just prepare to spend about double on everything. Nice resort with lots to do just budget accordingly.

Big Sky is arguably the best ski resort in the continental US. I like it because there is so much variety in terrain. The only negative is the village is not at the resort unlike Vail or Whistler, so you have to drive a couple miles to have more food, beverage, and entertainment options.
Peter G — Google review
Dangerous ski place. Very crowded and the ski patrol does nothing to control the situation. There is a separate area for beginners but it full of teenagers going 100 mph going back to the lift. I saw several colitions and serious falls in a green run called Mr K and it was supposed to be a "slow" area.
REL VS — Google review
Beautiful place but it’s up on the mountain not in the little town. It’s an absolutely beautiful drive up here from big sky.
Service was excellent, including a call letting us know the restaurants up in the hotel were closed because of the off-season.
Would probably be incredible to stay here if you were skiing.
Room rates in big sky are insanely high. But got a decent rate for this place online prepaid.

Great ski hill but man the conditions are rough.
The atmosphere is wonderful. DJ in the evenings. Almost a steamboat party vibe.
Runs are slightly shorter.
Not a fan that you have to pay for the tram. But I guess it keeps down the traffic.
A lot of chair lift issues and the lines have been pretty long
Charissa Kopecko — Google review
I spent a week snowboarding at Big Sky with friends. The mountain is fantastic. The scenery beautiful. Nice long runs at all levels. Nice lifts. No long lines. Only negative is the cost of the lift tickets. Very expensive.

I recently visited Big Sky Resort and had a truly enjoyable experience. The resort offers stunning views, excellent facilities, and friendly staff, making it a great destination for ski enthusiasts.
However, I feel it's important to mention that the pricing seems quite steep, especially considering that more than half of the mountain was closed during my visit. While I understand the costs associated with maintaining such a large resort, a daily lift ticket price of $234 felt excessive given the limited access. It would be beneficial for guests if the pricing reflected the actual availability of the trails and facilities.

Great place to ski! Amazing area. Slopes for everyone of all skill levels. There is no way anyone could get board here. The staff is extremely friendly. The drive to get there is breathtaking seconded only by the views from the slopes.

Still has ski maps THANK YOU!!! I didn't actually stay at the resort but I did ski 3 days and I want to say as someone who doesn't want to fumble with phone on lift, still having paper ski maps was VERY nice. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful mountain and gorgeous resort. As an amateur skier, I was surprised by the difficulty of the runs, but really enjoyed them all. Little to no line for the lifts, nicely groomed runs, variety of food options, and excellent lift service. Every Monday and Wednesday they have avalanche dog meet and greet, which was a lot of fun and educational. Highly recommend visiting Big Sky for your next ski/snowboard trip. Keep in mind the drive from Bozeman to Big Sky can be difficult at night, even in great conditions.

We spent New Years Eve at Big Sky and then Jan 8th at Big Sky for snow biking. We were up at Madison Village for the snow biking. The guys at the rental spot were nice and helpful, and making sure our 10 year old was comfortable. The snow bikes are highly recommended! They are so much fun! People operating the ski lifts were also helpful to slow or stop the ski lifts so our daughter could load and unload safely.
Beautiful winter hike ! Can be done with no snow shoes but a few slippery areas. The altitude will get you out of breath easily !

This has been by far one of the most beautiful trails I’ve ever done. Total of one mile down and one mile back. The trail is easy to walk through snow, has amazing scenery perfect for pictures and has good signage to let you know where to go. Plenty of picnic tables and benches to sit on.

Easy hike and beautiful views. Large waterfall frozen but you can still hear the water rushing under the ice.

A great trail, and is handicap accessible. My daughter made the trek with us, but there are steep inclines up and down the trail. Several bumps could present problems for wheelchairs also but is a manageable trail with spectacular scenery.

Beautiful location. Easy trek down to the falls area. Can potentially be a bit more challenging in the winter when there is more ice present.

Gorgeous place. One of the best waterfalls i have been to. Well kept trail and plenty of benches. So many spots to look at along the way and access top and bottom of the falls. easy enough hike. Be prepared for some mosquitoes though. We got bit. There are some slightly dangerous spots so watch your kids. it was fairly busy on a summer late afternoon weekday. We got there a bit late and had the falls to ourselves for a bit though. Check out the top and bottom area

It is a flat trail full of switch back elevation changes. Check the time of year to make sure the paths are clear. Some snow and ice may be on the paths in May. Absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. Worth the walk. Go to the large falls since you can go to the base and top of the falls.

The water was extremely cold, but it was fun to swim in. The hike was amazing alongside the sights you get to see along the trail. The people we met were very friendly and taking pictures is a huge thing here for everyone. So, do be careful not to photo bomb and ask to take pictures with everyone else. Quite an amazing experience and must need to travel.

EXCELLENT! The Ousel Falls Trail was maintained very well and signage was visible and abundant. Beautiful trail with gradual switchbacks, bridge crossings and a beautiful set of falls that reminded me of Oregon/Washington Coast. This trail is maybe .5/.7 miles back and same distance back out. Great way to spend a small portion of the day. There are some picnic tables along the way, pack something to eat and enjoy the views and sounds of the falls for a few...please make sure to pack out whatever you brought with you👍🏻

Ousel Falls is a BEAUTIFUL waterfall!! Easily one of the most impressive in this area of Montana. Best thing is? It is very easy to get to! The trail is paved, which even makes it handicap accessible (albeit with some steeper parts), and it’s a nice 20-minute stroll to get to the main falls. Don’t think it’s boring along the stroll though - you have beautiful views of the trees and river and other scenery all along the path!
In summer, it’s a pretty popular destination. Many people in Big Sky visit with their dogs just to get their exercise in, and after it rains the falls are even more impressive. Try to time your visit after some heavier rainstorms (of course keeping in mind it’ll be muddy, so wear proper shoes)!
In winter, the falls are even more beautiful. They are pretty much entirely frozen, and you can walk right up to the ice! It is otherworldly seeing so much ice around, even if you’re from Big Sky! As an added bonus, way fewer people come in winter, so you might have the whole park to yourself! Do keep in mind though, it is quite slippery walking down to the waterfall in winter, especially if there have been some warmer days before your visit (as melting and re-freezing forms ice on the path), so be very careful when you’re visiting, and bring shoes with proper treading!
All in all, this is a must-visit when you’re in Big Sky. Whether you’re coming to the area in summer to visit Yellowstone, or in winter to ski up at the mountain, take one morning and head down to Ousel Falls. You’ll not be disappointed!

Love to return when the falls aren't frozen. Nice hike and great scenery along the way.

At the beginning of June, the falls are really flowing and it is so impressive. Incredible area and very well maintained trail that the whole family can do
Friendly, competent staff. Horses and equipment in good condition. Beautiful location and scenery. Great experience with a low-key, family-run outfit. Perfect for first time riders.

Do the 2 hour ride.
My family of 5 and an aunt/uncle did the 3 hour ride in June 2021. The website made it seem like there would be spectacular sites and views. It was really just a walk through the woods. 2 hours of looking at evergreens would have been enough. The entire ride looked identical to the photos attached to this review.
They did not permit us to dismount at all until the end of the ride. Our one guide was in the front and completely oblivious when our horses were fighting each other or trying to knock off kids by walking under low branches. I was surprised that each group didn’t have a guide in front and back.
My kids loved the experience and the horses, but they would have been fine with 2 hours. The guide was nice and a good rider. We did not have time to stay and play in the lake. That did look fun.

This was a beautiful trail ride. I only have 4 stars because I was frustrated by the lack of organization. We ended up being almost 45 mins late starting our ride because of others showing up late. We also had to stop for others who had no riding experience because they were freaking out about riding. I wish there had been an advanced rider area and a newbie riding area. That would have been much nicer. The guides were great and very aware that families wanted to be together.

Had a great time on the trial today. We had Tucker and Lexi for our guides. Good two hour ride that was great for the experienced riders as well as the younger/first time riders.
Great views and peaceful atmosphere makes for a great time with the family. Plenty of gentle/easy horses for the riders that may be fishy.

Or guide, Gelsey, was amazing riding back and forth to check on everyone in our group. The horses had their own special personalities, but were all very gentle. Great experience for our family!

Eagle ridge ranch has some of the most amazing scenery. Their horse ride don’t involve any harsh trails so it is super family friendly. Knowing the Angell family I can tell you they are very respectful and really care for the people they are around. If there is ever a problem they will work with you to resolve it!

Terrific, family friendly and fun experience with their horses. The staff was respectful, helpful, kind and very informative. They did a great job of matching our experience level with their horses. The trails was beautiful, serene and lovely. We did not run into a lot of wildlife, but did see a fox. A great way to spend an early afternoon!

Excellent ride for family trip. We had 9 people in our party ranging from 9yrs old to adults. The horses were beautiful and well controlled. My 9yr with minimal experience was able to command the horse and felt comfortable. The scenery was beautiful. We did a 2 hr ride and it was very cost effective as well. The staff was very knowledgeable and personable. We had a great time!

My cousins and I had a great time horseback riding with the Eagle Ridge Ranch crew. We had Chrissie as our guide. She was super nice and answered all our questions we had about our horses. It was an enjoyable experience and if I were to come back to visit I would go with them to go horseback riding.

My husband and I did the two hour ride and Cowboy dinner and we had a really great time! We also paid extra to have the water activities added and we highly recommend that! Such a great deal! We could have spent the whole day there. Our tour guides Michael and Jessica were also super fun! We'd love to come out again next time we're up here!

We had the best day riding and enjoying the ranch! The guides Jessica and Michael were informative and patient. The horses were well cared for and well trained. My sweet guy was Trigger and my 7 year old was on Spirit. The views were spectacular! I enjoyed the open views as well as the streams and beautiful trees. My 3 year old really enjoyed her short ride on Digger with my husband leading her around and then fishing and petting ALL the horses after. We did the cowboy dinner and the food was really good. Highly recommend!

The 3-hour morning ride was fantastic, it was relaxing and well worth it. There is plenty of wildlife in the area, just be on the lookout. The horses are very well behaved and will follow one another. Every horse is unique and is selected based on your experience and willingness to accept a challenge. Our guide Lexi was wonderful, she is very knowledgeable and kind. She even let me lead the group of horses on the second half of the journey with Cherokee! I was a completely inexperienced rider, but I highly recommend this activity for both beginners and more experienced riders. Thank you for the amazing journey!

We had an awesome time on our 2hr horseback ride. Everyone that we met was super nice. They gave me a beautiful paint horse named Buzz to ride. He was super smart and strong. We saw an elk and several mule deer during our ride. It was a lot of fun.

We have wanted to go here for years. What a wonderful tour. Lauren was a great tour guide. My husband had to turn back and went with a different group back, but I continued on with our group. There are 880 stairs, so there is a lot of climbing up and down. The cave is beautiful. Make sure you don't bring anything that has been in a previous cave. This is to protect the bats from White Nose Syndrome. Because we like to go to caves, we always make sure we wear different shoes, etc. We even make sure the camera and/or phone go through a specific cleaning as well. They are open every day, even though the reservation system only shows the weekends. They will get that fixed, hopefully. Parking was a little tough, but doable.

Fun spot to go visit. Beautiful drive up. Hike in is pretty easy but don't recomend for kids under 4. Lots of stairs, and they are slippery in some spots. Wear a sweatshirt
Dan Jordan — Google review
Very cool cave experience. The staff were all very helpful and our tour guide was fun. The drive up is through a really pretty valley. Just some FYI...the caves are about 40 degrees and wet, so bring a jacket and good shoes. It's 444 stair steps each way and we were feeling it by the end. Worth the trip up from Bear Lake though!
Carey Ventura — Google review
Super cool caves. The information given online is pretty vague, so here is what I learned through calling. The tour takes about an hour and it is worth the drive. Some tickets are available online but they hold most of them for walk ups. Tickets are available starting at 9am the day of. You can drive up, get tickets for later and then come back. We went on the last Monday of July, got there about noon and got right into a tour. It seems like during the week, tickets are pretty available. And on the website, it looked like they were closed during the week. They aren't, but you can't get tickets online. But we had no problem getting tickets when we got there.
Expect the tour to take about an hour. Bring a sweater. You can wear pants or shorts if you have a sweater. The caves are 40 degrees year round. I wore pants and a sweater and was comfortable. There are a lot of stairs but our tour guide was happy to go the pace of the group.
Melissa Waller — Google review
Our tour guide was great. She was very enthusiastic and loved sharing her knowledge of the cave with us. I would recommend getting your tickets early in the morning. We had a two hour wait and got there right at 10am. The rock formations were fascinating. There are 444 stairs inside the cave, so come prepared with good shoes and a jacket. It is 40 degrees year round. It is a great activity to get out of the heat and see some beautiful rock formations.
Kim Elggren — Google review
Really enjoyed our tour. The view to get up here was amazing. Note however, it gets cold inside the cave around 40 degrees all year long. So do bring a sweater, a long pants and a comfortable walking shoes with a good grip because it does get very slippery. There’s also more than 800 round trip stairs, and 72 of that is a single steep climbing. Cost is $8 for adults and $6 for children. Tour takes about an hour and so much fun. You will learn a lot from the tour guides.
Cheers!
Edwin Ragadio — Google review
Our tour guide was very good! we took children 5 and 7 who did really well on the stairs. There are a lot of stairs! My kids wore shorts and sweaters but really wished they would have worn pants in the 40 degree cave.
There were a lot of cool formations: stalagmites, stalactites, columns, cave bacon, popcorn, and straws. As of right now masks are still required in the cave and no children under 2.
Overall it took some work on the stairs but it is worth it and I would go again!
Tiffiny Tyler — Google review
It is a beautiful cave, the tour guide was cute and a little quirky. We appreciated her understanding that children can be a bit slower and urged us to take our time and have no heart attacks. In contrast to another more famous cave where they constantly hurried and chastised us for lagging (we are a big group with lots of small kids.)
Marianne Seegmiller — Google review
This is pretty cool, you would never believe how amazing the inside of the cave is by looking at it from the outside; it is millions of years in the making. Take a sweatshirt, it is literally 40° inside but once you start walking, you will warm up a bit. There are 444 stairs ( so the posted sign says) that you will climb up/down so wear good shoes because some spots can get a little slick.
There is even some bacon and a glow in the dark spot, you'll love it.
Robert Boston — Google review
These were really cool caves! Our guide was great and we learned a ton of cool things. Though you couldn't really explore since it was a guided tour. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody who likes adventures. Just make sure you can climb stairs!

Here’s the deal…I’m not a fit guy…nor am I a skinny guy.
However, I remember doing these caves as a kid when I was fit. I remembered how awesome they were. Now having kids of my own, and having the opportunity to go to the caves I decided to practice.
That’s right! Every night for a couple of weeks leading up to our trip I walked up and down stairs, eventually doing 400 for the week before the trip.
Yes it’s true, there are 444 stairs down and back up on this tour!!!
I’m proud to report that I made it! And if I made it then anyone can make it! Yes the stairway to heaven was absolutely miserable on the way up, but luckily the tour guide takes plenty of breaks throughout the tour.
The caves were as amazing as I remembered as a kid! I’m so grateful that I was able to share those memories with my own children.
If you’re in bear lake, it’s definitely worth a look!
Set at the mouth of a canyon, this scenic 1888 research university is near trails & climbing routes.
Aggies! A beautiful campus tucked up in the mountains. There are trees everywhere and open fields to play sports or lounge around on a nice warm day. Displeased USU Visitor
My recent experience with USU (assuming you are referring to a university or institution with that acronym) left me feeling incredibly frustrated and dissatisfied. One of the most significant issues that marred my experience was the rampant over-ticketing problem.
Over-ticketing at USU has become a serious concern, and it has undoubtedly soured my perception of the institution. It seems as though the primary focus has shifted away from providing a conducive learning environment and towards extracting revenue from its students and visitors through excessive ticketing.
The frequency with which I witnessed students and visitors receiving unwarranted tickets was alarming. Whether it was for minor parking infractions, perceived rule violations, or even issues that should have been handled through communication and warnings, it appeared that the institution was more interested in punishing individuals than in fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere.
Furthermore, the fines associated with these tickets often felt disproportionately high, placing an undue financial burden on students and visitors who are already struggling with the cost of education and daily living expenses. It's disheartening to see an institution prioritize revenue generation over the well-being and financial stability of its constituents.
The over-ticketing issue not only creates a hostile atmosphere but also undermines the trust and respect that students and visitors should have for their educational institution. It fosters an environment where individuals are constantly on edge, fearing that even the slightest misstep will result in another unwarranted ticket.
In conclusion, my experience with USU has been marred by the issue of over-ticketing, which has led me to question the institution's priorities and commitment to the well-being of its students and visitors. It is my hope that USU will reevaluate its approach to disciplinary measures and consider more reasonable and fair ways to address rule violations without resorting to excessive ticketing.

I'm just about to graduate with a Master's Degree and have loved my entire experience here. Awesome new buildings, cool old buildings, great professors, and great students who make for great campus life. And you can't leave out the superb outdoor recreation available all around. The PE classes are a blast! To anybody coming to USU I highly suggest taking up rock climbing, mountain biking, trail running, and skiing/snowboarding. There's even a new ski resort opening up that is only 19 minutes away. They just opened up the ARC (Aggie Recreation Center) and my wife and I love the rock climbing and everything else that is available in there. Complete party, great place to learn to become a learner, fun professors, useful clubs and student organizations, all around great place to get your degree or degrees.

Completely upset by the cost of online and zoomed in classes. Why do students live on campus, go to class in a classroom on campus where the teacher is zoomed in. The lack of support for the students to learn in a classroom setting is disappointing. Do you really want future doctors to be online students?

It’s always such a treat taking a stroll through this gorgeous campus! They even have a large American persimmon tree; it’s located on the west side by the visitor information center!
This bird refuge & marsh area offers a 12-mile auto tour, fishing, hunting & wildlife viewing.
We have been here before and did the drive through the refuge; so wish we had had the time on this trip because it was the height of bird migration and we would have seen a lot of different birds. The staff was very informative. Hope to come again this time of year to do the drive. The indoor display of birds and sounds is very well done and educational. There was construction going on in the back of the building, with new landscaping, benches, and native plants that looks like will be used for educational purposes. It will be interesting to see it the next time we are in the area.

Incredible!! This place blew my mind d. It was like a bird safari. I saw 22 different species during the auto tour!
The visitors center is very nice. There are a few different y walks from there, but we didn’t see any thing until we drove to the actual refuge.
We missed the swans but saw so much. I want to go back a different time of year and see what else we can find.

Great place to see Bald Eagles and Herons. The trip from Salt Lake City is a little long, but with coffee and good company you are there it seems in no time.
If you go during the winter months, beware! The road around the refuge us a mix of CLAY, GRAVEL, DIRT AND SAND. Your car/SUV will get extremely dirty. Do not wait days to wash it. It won't cone of once it's solid. Use a high powered sprayer to get into every nook and cranny of your cars underside, especially the wheelhousing. I waited a week and it took 2 hours and 30 dollars to get my Tahoe looking new again.

Awesome place. The visitors center was open and we enjoyed all the displays and information. The kids had a great time doing the Jr Ranger Activity Book along the trail. That kept them busy for at least an hour. Nice paved trail with benches along the way. There was no shade so I would recommend a hat and glasses. We didn’t have time to drive around the rest of the refuge.

Sometimes we cannot appreciate the simple things in nature. If you really want to be in touch with nature and experience some of the wild, you don't need to go to the jungle. In this place, you will enjoy spectacular sunsets, the singing of birds, the sudden fright of many that take flight, the bites of wild sandpipers, days full of fog in winter, the nostalgia of a lake that threatens to disappear. and a river that gives life to the mangroves that provide food and life to thousands of birds and aquatic species. I recommend it 200%. A paradicical wildlife place that we have included in our photographic project, from Ana's CameraWork.

We went on Annual Swan Day a few weekends ago. Sadly, still too cold here to see the swans. (They say they were easily seen down at Farmington Bay.)
Plenty of activities for the kids, a nice gift/book shop, even featuring local photographers work.
They have a nice exhibit hall to help you learn more about the area.
Kids earned the FREE Junior Ranger pin. They provide you with a booklet, pencil and light green backpack full of gear to adventure with as you complete activities in the booklet.
Recent snowmelt made it hard to do much of the paved trail as some family members didn't have proper shoes.
I'd love to come back in May when things have warmed and greened up a bit more.

South end is open for hunting access through Perry. There is a launch made of concrete. Parking for 8 trucks with trailers. No restrooms at the area so go before you come out. If you use the launch be careful as you pass others in the canal. Clean up after your self and be prepared to be checked by federal fish and game at this location when coming back in.
The hunting proclamation is pasted and pamphlets are available on like r at the launch. Please follow all rules and guidelines as you enter the wetlands.

My wife and I travel there often. It never disappoints. Today, for instance, we made the 1.5 hour drive to see some reported bald eagles. We made the loop, stopping frequently and driving an average speed of 7 mph. We didn't see any bald eagles. We did see harrier after harrier, many of which were gray ghosts. So much beauty in every direction.

Update February 2023: Interesting and educational James V. Hansen Wildlife Education Center. Unfortunately, we didn't see any bald eagles while driving the loop although others have spotted a few.
Previous year: Binoculars are essential. On the way to the loop you may see a bald eagle on a post so look around as you drive there. We saw two single ones, two groups of two, one group of five that would have made a great photo, many farther away.

Me and my family LOVE the Bird Refuge! All year round there are different things to see! There are times where you don't get to see much wildlife. But the scenery is beautiful to drive through still to some! Bring a camera if you are interested in photography of birds at all! Probably a lense that zooms pretty far too if your extremely serious about taking pictures! Not exactly completely kid friendly as it is basically a drive through and observe the animals you may see! Dirt roads so in the wetter/colder seasons its a bumpy holey journey! I think it's great still though! :)
Huge ski area with 154 separate trails, 2 terrain parks & 9 lifts, plus various resort facilities.

Wow!! What a gem!!!! Have been coming to Park City area for years and had never made the trek to Powder Mountain- or Pow Mow as the locals call it. It’s a decidedly different experience than the other area hills. Think skiing 20 years ago. Fewer people, they only sell 1500 lift tickets per day. The terrain is great. On one of the busiest days of the year we saw virtually no one. We utilized the free tour guide at 10 am and we’re lucky to have Judi from NH. She was so friendly, knowledgeable, and adapting to our group. I am reluctant to share this review because I reluctantly want to keep this special place a secret!! Consider the $25 cat ride to the untouched terrain!!

We came out here for night snowboarding because Brighton closed down due to the dangerous weather, and we're glad we did. Not only was Powder Mountain cheaper, but it wasn't very crowded - so we got a ton of great powder runs in.
At night time they only open one lift and a few trails, but they are well lit and quite a lot of fun to shred on.
The facilities are in great shape and we had no issues with parking, lift tickets, food, or restrooms during our stay.

Prefer over Park City every time! We live in Florida so only ski 1-2x a year and loved Powder Mountain. First, rentals were great and so easy to get. No line and great service. Staff everywhere was smiling and chatting with us at each left, super friendly and professional. The views and trails were gorgeous, well groomed and they limit how many tickets were sold so we skied ALONE many times down various green and blue trails. Eden has a few decent restaurants but also worth the 25 minute drive to Ogden for 25th street filled with restaurants and bars.

BEST SKI RESORT IN UTAH!!
An absolutely incredible resort with some of the best terrain I’ve ever boarded. I had the best powder day I’ve ever had. I was boarding untouched powder the whole day. Due to powder mountains higher elevation they have some of the best snow in Utah. I love how they limit ticket sales so it never gets too crowded. We walked onto almost every lift on a sold out day! I’ve been to almost every resort in Utah and Powder mountain might take the cake as my favorite!

Spent the day with some friends on an all day snow cat skiing adventure yesterday. Our two guides, JT and Becky, were amazing! Had a safety brief in the morning then we were off for a full day of untracked snow, amazing views, and fresh powder. Halfway through the day we had a picnic lunch at a “snow table“ that the guides built for us to eat around. I have done multiple trips like this and this was by far the best one so far will definitely go back and do it again highly highly highly recommend!

This is a fantastic local ski resort if you’re looking for an affordable, beginner-friendly, non-corporate, local feel resort. We came and here and took the first time snowboard school and wow! I have to say we were blown away by the instructor that we had. My wife is terrified of slopes and kept falling repeatedly on the top of the green run and was close to giving up. Our instructor Doug, patiently worked 1x1 with her and all of a sudden, it clicked and she successfully went down the mountain with no issues. She was hype after that and I have to give my sincere thanks to Doug for his steadfast commitment to teaching and working with her. Thank you!

Five stars for the ski area, minus 2 for the pricing and access changes. Powder Mountain describes itself as huge, and it is definitely massive. We visited for two days and barely felt like we saw the place (visibility was also low, so that didn't help), but got in a ton of good runs. Some areas have really deep snow while you can also go on a lot more lightly covered trail runs. Lifts are all pretty slow, but limited lift lines made it not a huge issue (though Hidden Lake lift in sleet is pretty miserable). Had a great time, but unfortunately, we won't be able to visit again. A bunch of reviews mention this already but prices doubled to around $229+ for a lift ticket. This is absolutely absurd for the amenities: a few slow lifts, limited parking, and lodges from the 80s or older. They will also stop accepting Indy Pass next season and are closing part of the mountain to take it private for a luxury housing community. Powder Mountain has decided to close its doors to all but the rich, so while we really enjoyed the snow, we will have to look elsewhere for future ski trips.

Went night skiing on 12/29 and it was a great experience. I love that they cap the amount of tickets sold to keep from over-crowding. They had a "magic carpet" lift that my toddler loved, and the runs were varied enough that I enjoyed my time, and my 3 year-old could learn to ski.
I also had a great experience with staff. I lost my diaper bag and I had it back in my possession the next afternoon. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and helpful. Thank you again!

I'm not sure how to give my ultimate review. This place rocks! I never heard of Powder Mountain, but damn!; I have too many good things to say about this resort; their people and our experience. The ski resort is big. We couldn't do it all (maybe 30%) in 2 days. Great trails; very long; incredible views; quick lines (on a weekend); we may be from the East coast, but we've done over a dozen big name resorts and this BY FAR was the best. Most impressive was the staff. As soon as we got there everyone was there to help. Tons of positives to say here, but to suffice it to say I wish all of my staff was as attentive, helpful, thorough, not on their phones and friendly. 5 stars to Powder Mountain! I could go on, and on. At the end of day 1, we met the guy who books music at the Timberline lodge. Wow! Mind-blowing better than expected, crowd tipping $20s, Music was awesome; Friggin' Amazing!, etc. Skiers like to enjoy a great day and that scene at the lodge was just off the rails in a great way! Cutting it short; this mountain has great skiing, great employees and has a great atmosphere. We're already planning next year's visit. Join us!

We have been coming here for 15+ years and we love, love, love this mountain.
But what happened with lift tickets pricing this year is absolutely horrible! Reed Hastings bought the mountain and is trying to price us regular people out. I just looked at Friday 2/9/2024 - $229 before taxes. For one day! We can drive 15 min to Snowbasin and ski for $40 less. Snowbird and Alta for comparison also $40 less.
And next year they are revoking decades long tradition of free skiing for seniors 75+. Have they no shame?!
They call it dynamic pricing, but it’s not. Dynamic pricing matches pricing to demand. Here it’s just the opposite: they try to make up the revenue they are missing due to lack of demand, by pricing tickets even higher. To prove my point, here is empty popular lift (Mary’s) on a powder day. That would have never been the case in previous years.🤯

Had a fantastic private lesson as a first time skier with Paul! Worth every penny for the full day session (930-330). I had tried skiing once back in 2011 and it ended after 90mins with me being skied down the bunny slope in tears by one of my friends. That was a scarring enough experience to keep me off the mountain for over a DECADE!
I came into my private lesson, which I shared with a friend, with zero hopes/expectation. When my friend mentioned that I'd be going down the actual lift by lunch time, I was highly skeptical, but Paul was so helpful and patient and had both of us on the lift just after lunch, much to my surprise/delight! He explained and demonstrated proper body positioning, angles, movements etc and was just so encouraging! I fell a lot, of course, but by the end of our lesson, I actually was trying a couple of blue routes with him.
Powder itself is a really cool spot, a little farther out and was less crowded than Alta which we went to the following day (could be because it was midweek-Thursday- though). It's definitely got a grungy/purist vibe to it, but still a welcoming/inviting atmosphere, and coming from a complete novice, it's a great spot to get started!

Amazing place to ski and snowboard. Not packed at all. Many runs and the snow is great. We keep coming every winter ❄️
The Ogden Union Station is a historical 1920s train station that has been converted into an indoor marketplace, complete with museums, art galleries, and eateries. This magnificent building still retains its former beauty and charm despite showing signs of wear and tear. The Ogden City Arts Department has taken over stewardship of the station to ensure it receives the care it deserves.
Oh man, we love this place so much. What a great museum. My boys are obsessed with the little train models that go around the different tracks.
My only negative about this place is that the one man that is often in the Browning gun portion is really not super patient with kids. I want my kids to go to museums and think learning is fun, so I want it to be a positive experience. He hasn’t ever gotten after my kids, but I’ve heard him bark at other kids several times before for doing normal kid things, like asking him a question while he was finishing up a sentence. That type of thing does not fly with that man. And no, kids shouldn’t do that, but they are still learning and I think they could be given some grace. It’s not like they blurted out something irrelevant while he was talking, they were listening to him and learning and interested. Anyway, everything else is great. That dude stresses me out.

Train show was decent this year. Would have liked a few more child friendly activities. We braved the snow to be there and we were done in a hour. There was really only one thing they enjoyed. I understand limited space. But it want as good as other years we've attended.

Fun place to visit to learn about the history of locomotives 🚂 in Ogden. There is a train exhibit outside that is supper cool- lately the museum has provided entrance to 2 train cars (the military hospital transit and USPS mail carrier). It’s neat to see how life was no too long ago. Great place for kids to explore, and awesome for family photos, particularly during sunset.

I love this venue! Absolutely perfect for every event but they went above and beyond to help us pull off a very magical company party, owls and all!

We had a great time here. Price is low. Lots of things to look at. There is a great area for kids to touch and move levers. Play with train stuff. There are 5 museums in one place here. Art, Gun, trains, great place

I've always loved this building, and that hasn't changed with the years that have gone by since I've last been in the doors. (Almost 30 years). It's a little rougher around the edges, but thankfully Ogden city arts department is moving in and will most definitely provide the care this place deserves. It's rich with history, and beautiful to boot. Anyone in the Ogden area is missing out if they don't stop by

Such a cool museum! It is an old.trsi. station that now houses 3 collection museums. The train museum is the largest and super informative and interesting. The Browning gun section is also extensive. The Browning family has a large and beautiful collection of early model cars. Volunteers were so helpful and friendly.

They really do a good job of keeping this place in great shape. It is a pleasure to visit here. Only one thing. You can't see the inside of the trains until warm weather, or May, they say, so be advised. You can see a lot of history in three museums, The Railway museum, The Browning Arms Museum, and the Classic Cars. All for 7 dollars while supporting a great effort to preserve these fantastic historical items.

This place is a hidden gem especially for anyone interested in getting up close to real trains. The museum showcases the stations history and a vintage car museum as well. The annual model train show is a fun to visit as well. They fill up the entire station with various train models.

Great museum sharing the importance of railroading history in northern Utah. The indoor exhibits had great interpretive information, as well as displays of early twentieth century automobiles and historic firearms. There was also a farmers market going on with all sorts of fun goodies. The locomotives just outside were impressive! Would recommend this museum for a family outing.

Really very interesting. Some good displays lots of awesome information and a good few hours spent looking around the trains.

It was very reasonably priced. It is a nice little snapshot of history with some really cool thjng s to watch and observe. The massive locomotives are really cool. The building is also very cool and this is a great location to take wedding photos. The train history is very interesting. It’s very quiet and your kids will love it.

This a cool, historic place to see even if you don't pay for any of the museums
2002 Winter Olympics site offering classic ski-resort activities & year-round events since 1936.
Pretty sweet spot. We lucked out and had some of the only fresh powder they’ve seen in a few weeks. So our experience was pretty good.
Visibility was a little tough at the time towards the top.
I think most runs are ski dominate. But Main Street with minimal traffic was a snowboarders dream.
Not remotely a pro, or heavily experienced. But the run was well managed and wide open. Clocked us doing about 40 down through there.
Wait times were never longer than maybe 5 minutes, even during the busiest part of the day on a Saturday after a snow dump on Thursday night.
Not the largest park. But well managed, quality staff and well groomed runs. Highly recommend if you can get in here with fresh powder.

Great fall hike! Taking the gondola up! It was fun but a little pricey to get to the top but spectacular views!

Snowbasin was great. Lots of terrain to ski, powder stashes here and there, especially if you hike a little. The groomers were in good shape and skied fast, too. The added gondolas and trams from 2002 Olympics are great.

If you want great skiing, Snowbasin is where you should go! They take great care of their runs by grooming them regularly. Middle Bowl lift was replaced in the 2021 off season. It’s a 5 minute ride to the top!
I had so much fun my last couple of visits! I look forward to going again soon.

Great mountain. Wish we caught it on a powder day. But we did get a blue bird day. The lodge area is really nice. First time at the mountain so there was a lot of traversing to get around and explore. There is a good amount of parking available. Didn’t fill up and we got there around 10:30 but it was a weekday. Recommend going to the top and taking the tram. Great views up there.

Awesome slopes, nice views and decently priced lift tickets $215/day vs $300 at Park City. Snow was good and you can find slopes for every skill level. Definitely coming back.

Superb...Fantastic experience. Very Organized. They had all kinds of Ski Slopes. Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. 9000 feet high mountain slopes. Ski lifts or closed Gondolas to carry you up the mountain. The Resort is very popular amongst the locals. They have trained instructors. Huge gift shops with lot of items. Huge eatery, Seperate building for rentals. We took a whole day package deal along with Ski lessons and was at a good price. It is about 1 hour drive from Salt Lake City. Ample parking. Lot of warm places to sit with family and enjoy lunch. We loved it as family and would highly recommend the same to other families / Adults.

A place for the books! We came for the Blues, Brews and BBQ event a few weeks back and loved everything about our day trip! The scenery is gorgeous, they have many different hike/bike trails, mini-golf, good beer, a nice restaurant at the top of the mountain, a gondola ride and to top it off... it's a dog friendly venue!!
Jenasea VanDerVeur Morse — Google review
Pretty close proximity to Salt Lake City and has a local, homey feel that is wonderfully run from the seemingly dozens of parking guests to the wonderful restaurant staff. The lodges were extremely nice and almost felt like a nice country club. We went there on a Saturday jn mid march and it was not crowded with no lift lines longer than 5 min. It is on the smaller side with only few chairlifts, one gondola, and a very short tram mostly serving a hike along a very steep and rocky ridge with various chutes to go down. Mountain consists of a fair share of blues and greens with some blacks mixed in. There were some good tree runs with pretty good snow even a couple days after it actually showed. It seemed most skiers of the mountain were not very good and stuck to groomers or easy runs. There are a lot of chutes that can be hiked too and feed down to the main top area of the mountain. There is a very short hike to the top of one of the peaks that has amazing panoramic views of the spectacular rocky tops of the mountain along with the salt lake and surrounding flat areas with mountain rising up in the distance. All around good family mountain with some steeper stuff and a small feel. Definitely worth it especially on weekends where more mainstream mountains in the area are packed.

Went skiing for the first time ever..!! From South Carolina, visiting the area for work and decided to give it a try since they had so much snow this late in the season (April 15, 2023). Everyone, including the two gentlemen who bought me a beer prior to my run down the beginner slope, were very friendly and helpful!! Beautiful resort!! I plan to return again next season and take some lessons, and become a better skiier!! Thank you Snowbasin for making my first trip so enjoyable!!

It was our first time skiing in Snowbasin and we went Thursday & Friday last week. We have the Ikonpass and we wanted to ski a new resort. It snowed on Thursday and it was cold. The resort’s lodges were beautiful and comfortable. It was nice to relax and get back on the lifts again once we warmed up. I appreciate the gondolas. It wasn’t very busy on Thursday, and there were no lift lines. There were more cars/people on Friday. It was a beautiful day. The resort offered shuttles from the parking lot. We were worried that there were going to be long lines. It was only long in the early morning. Snowbasin is beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our experience.

It is a gorgeous ski mountain with break taking views of the mountains. Unfortunately, the parking situation there was a nightmare. They badly need a reservations system for that. Even though their website says most easy to access, it actually took 30 minutes in backed up traffic just to enter into the premises. We also did not like how bumpy the mountain was. There were little to few flat runs. Your only choice was moguls on just about every downhill pathway. If you love the bumps then this is the place to go. We had driven an extra 50 minutes to escape the hustle and bustle of some of the other ski resorts in Utah and were disappointed in the result. If you live in Ogden, I guess this is the best choice, but if coming from elsewhere, not so much. We are not going to rush back here anytime soon.

The mountain was absolutely fantastic with a ton a varied terrain. Our group had all skill levels from beginner to advanced and everyone was able to find a spot on the mountain to enjoy.
The glades past strawberry were incredible.
The lodge was very, very nice with bathrooms located right next to the lift so you don’t have to trudge inside.
The line to park was long but I did enjoy not having to make a reservation. We arrived at 10:30 and there was plenty of parking space left.
The only improvement would be to upgrade the pass scanners so you don’t have to take the pass out of your jacket every time.

The mountain is wonderful, and even despite this winter being pretty lousy, almost everything is open. The snowmaking machines are always working, keeping the slopes snowy, rather than rocky. We had an amazing experience at this resort.
My family and I rafting on the Weber River and we were initially skeptical because we usually prefer rivers in the 3 to 3+ classes, but we were all pleasantly surprised at the quality of the river. We knew it was going to be scenic, which it was, but there are definitely some times when you'll get a good splash and some rapids are more technical than we expected. Our guide, Holly, might have been the best guide we've had on any of our rafting trips! She was super friendly, knowledgeable about the surrounding area with fun facts, and was a much better conversationalist than any guide we've had. I would definitely recommend rafting here!

Had a fantastic time on our rafting trip. We met owner, Dawna, as she was wielding a chainsaw and cutting up firewood from a tree that fell the night before. Friendly and nice, she introduced us to our guide, Mark. Mark was great - patient, knowledgeable and fun. The trip was great and Mark maneuvered us safely around obstacles. It was the first raft trip for my 75 year old mom and she was beaming from ear to ear! Thank you for an awesome experience!

Super fun time! Saw 3 moose and an AMAZING sunset. Our guide, Joe, had a really good eye for wildlife sighting and showed us all a great trip. We did the 2 hour group tour and will likely go back for the 3 hour private tour. One of the best things we have done in Park City.

What a blast! Such a beautiful property… and a really nice way to see another part of Utah while on a ski trip in Park City! HIGHLY recommend this business. Not only are they great at reading your group to see how fast to go, but you get to “stretch your legs” on the machines in an open area and really see what they can do 😎 they provide everything if you need it- warmer gloves, helmets with face shields… I even saw clothing? We have been snowmobiling in Mammoth and in Tahoe, this was THE most fun. We also saw a moose! A bald eagle and rescued a deer on the way in! Such a gorgeous area to visit. The owners are a very nice couple and they have a super friendly team, plus their family dogs that come up to greet you upon arrival and when you return ❤️ bonus! We wish we did the 3 hour! But we’ll be back :) Book now!!

We had an awesome ride with Gage as our top-notch guide. It was one of our favorite experiences while visiting friends in Park City- we blasted over snowy trails, tore up deep powder as a massive thunder-snow storm rolled in, saw a herd of elk moving across the mountain, and had the time of our lives. Gage was incredibly knowledgeable and capable- safety was his primary concern with epic fun a close second. We would highly recommend and will do it again next time we’re out. Our friends plan to take other guests out as well. 5 stars for backcountry and for Gage 🌟

Even better than expected! We were in Park City for a ski vacation and decided to do a midweek rest day and go snowmobiling. There were multiple options but Backcountry appeared to offer the most remote and scenic routes. They are a 40-45 minute drive into the Uinitas mountains that is very scenic. One there we found a casual but professional group who quickly got us ready, providing (for a fee) any necessary equipment we lacked. We took the 3hr afternoon tour with Sarah and Matt who were friendly, fun and totally engaged in terms making sure we had a great time. The views were amazing including a ridge line view at about 10,000 ft where we could see Utah/Uinitas mts to the right, Wyoming/Tetons straight ahead, and Idaho on the let to the west. Thanks to Sarah’s sharp eyes we saw a bull elk and a moose amongst other things. The best was a 45 minute free for all in a meadow were we just played with the snowmobiles. There were 10 of us and everyone agreed tour was every thing we hoped and much more. Definitely worth the drive!

1000% worth it! We booked the 3 hour tour and were kinda worried it was going to be too long. We had so much fun that time flew and we coulda stayed out there all day.
The private land made the experience totally different from being on public trails which we did the day before. Feels like real back country snowmobiling. Highlight for me was the play area full of FRESH UNTOUCHED powder where my inner child got to let loose.
Tour is also good for any level rider as my wife only had 2 hours on a machine prior to this tour. She loved it and never felt uncomfortable.
Awesome terrain, awesome guides! We will definitely be back!!

This tour is an absolute must if you are visiting the Park City area! I can’t give enough stars to rate how genuine and kind everyone was on this adventure. Coming to this area of the country we have learned that things can happen that unexpectedly change plans. I have to thank Backcountry Snowmobiling for accommodating us on every level. We had to change our reservation from Friday to Saturday because one of our vehicles didn’t make it through the backroads and the team at Backcountry was so understanding and very generously changed our reservation for the following day. When we arrived we were so warmly greeted a s welcomed. They help fit us for all of our gear and took some amazing pictures of us. Then we meet Gage, our tour guide. From the beginning you can tell this is what he loves. He lives and breathes for this kind of work. He gave very detailed instructions on operating the snowmobile and we all felt we were in such good and safe hands. Then the tour starts and what an adrenaline rush. We seen all the animals on the snowy mountains. Elk, Bald Eagle, and even a momma and baby Moose!! Every time we stopped there was something to see and experience. Gage then takes us to the meadow where the real fun starts. Basically I was living off adrenaline as my snowmobile hit 50 mph. One of the most freeing and exhilarating experiences I have ever had. We should have definitely done the 3 hour tour, I could have gone for hours. Gage then takes us to a personal spot of his where he made an ice bridge over a small stream. For me, this was so beautiful. We then head back to the office area where we are greeted with PUPPIES. YES PUPPIES. What a way to end such an incredible day. We almost didn’t want to leave but they were obviously done for the day. It was an absolute amazing experience from beginning to end. I can’t wait to come back next year to do the 3 hour tour and see how big the puppies get! Thank you to everyone at Backcountry Snowmobiling, and especially Gage for giving such a good experience.

Our family's recent snowmobiling adventure with Backcountry Snowmobiling in Utah was an absolute dream come true, and the unexpected welcome committee of puppies, coupled with the awe-inspiring sighting of moose, made it an experience that surpassed all expectations! From start to finish, the entire journey was a perfect blend of excitement, warmth, and natural wonders.
Gage, our exceptional guide, not only expertly led us through the mesmerizing snowy landscapes but also introduced us to an unforgettable surprise at the beginning of our journey – a delightful welcome committee of playful puppies! Their presence added an extra layer of joy and charm to an already magical day, setting the stage for an adventure filled with laughter and unforgettable moments.
As we embarked on our two-hour trail ride, the pristine beauty of Utah's winter wonderland unfolded around us. The snow-covered trees and picturesque landscapes provided the perfect backdrop for our family's snowy expedition. The well-maintained snowmobiles ensured a smooth and enjoyable ride for every member of our group.
The unexpected highlight, however, was the enchanting sighting of moose along the trail. Gage expertly guided us to a safe vantage point, allowing us to observe these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. It was a breathtaking and awe-inspiring moment that added an extra layer of wonder to our already perfect day. The combination of wildlife encounters and puppy playtime made this snowmobiling experience truly extraordinary.
Backcountry Snowmobiling's commitment to providing a memorable and family-friendly experience, coupled with the captivating surprises nature had in store for us, made this adventure truly exceptional. The safety measures, the knowledgeable guide, the welcome committee of puppies, and the chance to witness moose in the wild all contributed to an experience that will be etched in our memories forever.
For families seeking a winter adventure that combines excitement, heartwarming moments, and encounters with local wildlife, Backcountry Snowmobiling in Utah is an absolute must-visit. We left with hearts full of joy, memories to last a lifetime, and a deep appreciation for the wonders of nature. We can't wait to return for more snowy escapades and the opportunity to create new memories with Backcountry Snowmobiling!

Wow! Can't tell you what a wonderful experience our family enjoyed last week at Backcountry Snowmobiling. We had called in advance as our son wanted to have a surprise proposal for his girlfriend. The staff was just as excited as we were to help plan and be a part of this important day. Julie and Allie as our hosts for the day were simply the best team we could have imagined to pull off the surprise and make it the special day it deserved. The orientation they did was thorough and helpful as we got started on our journey and the stops to see different features of the huge and beautiful backcountry were epic.
The Utah State Capitol, originally built in 1916, is a neoclassical revival building that is currently undergoing a massive restoration project. It offers tours and exhibits of its original murals, and is located at the top of a hill overlooking the city. The Capitol is one of Utahs most eminent landmarks, and its architecture is spectacular.
Beautifully done! You have to visit this place. I really enjoyed the history. The architecture was amazing inside. So much more to see than I expected. If you are visiting Salt Lake City you should definitely check this place out! This is an excellent place to go when the weather isn’t great outside. I highly recommend this place.

Nice place to visit. Lots of history. The architecture is incredible. I went during the cherry blossom season which really added to the coolness factor. Put on some nice walking shoes because you are going to add up those steps. If you park a ways off like we did, you may end up with shin splints. I’m not saying that’s what happened, but you have been warned.

Beautiful state Capitol that is quite literally sitting on top of a hill. The building is well maintained, architecturally striking, and lovely to stroll through. Many murals and statues celebrate Utahs history.

I took the TRAX train downtown to City Central and walked from City Central to the Capitol building. It’s a moderately difficult walk because half of it is uphill. Good walk for exercise! The cherry blossom trees are in bloom this time of year. They line a gravel trail that goes in a complete circle around the Capitol building. It’s another good hike and it’s not uphill. There are monuments and statues to view all along the gravel trail.
I went on a Thursday afternoon around 2pm and the Capitol building itself was closed. No one could go inside and view the interior of the building. That was a real letdown. Why is the Utah people’s building closed during normal business hours? Are there not enough tax dollars to have security there during normal business hours so citizens can go in and explore our Capitol building? I marked a star off because it was closed. But it is a great place to explore. People were picnicking on the lawn, flying a kite, kids were running around and climbing up on things, etc. Just be sure not to go there when protesters are demonstrating.

Neat place to visit and learn about! The architecture is beautiful. The tour for us (school group) included being able to see the earthquake supports that have been recently placed under the building. We were also able to see the court room. In that room is a hand-made timer for helping the speakers know when to stop. The timer is in the shape of a traffic light that was built by Lester Farnsworth Wire who made the first version of a traffic light in the state of Utah, in 1912. The "traffic light" timer is still used today. There are great resources on the Utah state capital website such as scavenger hunt games and coloring sheets for use during your tour. So much to see and learn about.

Our 1st stop here upon arriving from Ft Worth, to visit family and grab some of that historic snow! We just randomly arrived, and walked right in, and took a stroll throughout the building. Tours are available, but not for us today... timing. The architecture is stunning, regal, and somewhat intimidating. Bring your best behavior, and quiet voice, as this place will transform you to a different time and place. WOW! The history, art, marble, and meeting rooms were a delight to wander about. I suddenly found my posture improving, and my respect for those before us, well... humbling. Yay for us, just spontaneously stopping in. So worth your time. Nice job Utah!

Im not one to typically go on tours as I find sometimes they can be a bit dry. This one was actually good fun, about 30 minutes walk around that is done every hour.

My recent stroll around South Lake City led me to the Salt Lake City Capitol, a true historical gem framed by majestic mountains. The neoclassical architecture is a testament to timeless design, while the well-maintained grounds provide a serene environment. Inside, the Capitol's historical significance is on full display. The carefully curated exhibits and artifacts showcase the state's rich political and cultural heritage. The knowledgeable staff enhances the visit with their expertise, making the overall experience both informative and enjoyable.

This is one of the nicer capital buildings. Very large and good interior with nice Marvel and paintings throughout the dome as well kept and everything is very clean. I like to see the beehives hidden in the architectural and art throughout

Wow! What an amazing capitol! We stopped here early Sunday morning and found it to be open to the public. With multiple floors to explore and tons of displays, we spent a solid hour and more learning about various pieces of Utah's history. Well worth a family visit!

Very impressive in architecture and size. Great 360 degree view of SLC and further out. Has chimes or bells and rings on the hour, perhaps more often. Arrived at 6pm so it was closed for the day.

Wonderful building and all surroundings. As I did not have the chance to visit Capitol in Washington DC, this is the closest building to the DC one. And it is just incredible.

Our visit to Utah's State Capitol building was a highlight of our capital city tour. This architectural masterpiece, with its rich history, stands as one of the finest among state capitols. The intricate details and stunning design was captivating, making it a must-see for anyone in Salt Lake City.
Exploring its hallowed halls and learning about the state's history added depth to our experience. The architecture was absolutely breathtaking and the exhibits providing a unique perspective of the city and State's history.
I added pictures to showcase the grandeur of the Capitol building itself. Whether you're a history enthusiast, an architecture buff, or just seeking a fantastic viewpoint, the Utah State Capitol building should be on your list. 🏛️🌟

Title: Utah State Capitol
Visited on : 7th March 2024
Perched on Capitol Hill, the Utah State Capitol is an architectural marvel boasting three stunning domes inside and out. The rotunda dazzles with historical Utah paintings, while an impressive chandelier adds grandeur. Despite visiting at 6:30 pm, entry was easy, allowing us to admire both interior and exterior views of the city and surrounding snow-capped mountains. A must-visit for its beauty and historical significance.
Kiran Roge — Google review
A newer capitol compared to many of other states. But well preserved and taken care of. The rotunda was beautifully designed depicting the history of Utah. A quick place to walk around and a good park to walk around. Great neighborhood. If you are lucky you may meet someone who works here and get to talk about the ins and outs of a capitol.

Among the other 52 state capitals I have been to this one stand a literally above the rest! If you love giant marble buildings and old timey elevators Come check it out if you have a moment or two

Beautiful view from behind the capitol
Also researching names of state representatives to talk to about about problems with some laws/policies there was one of 6 representatives available it was Christine Watkins. Thankyou Christine! She was sincere and made time to visit and help me with some concerns. I hope she gets the support and acknowledgement she needs to continue.

Well worth it.
I have been to Sacramento Capitol, but this one seems even more massive than the California one, even though Utah is a much smaller state.
I loved the stone every where, majestic.

If you're looking for a very great and quite spacious building and grounds that are being used for the capitol of the state of Utah that also has really pretty cherry blossoms and lots of space to walk around, then, you have found it here at Utah's state capitol.
It's a very nice way to spend 30 to 45 minutes in the early spring enjoying the beautiful sights and aromas of the cherry blossoms. With interesting monuments and historical things scattered about the grounds it's also quite educational.
I give the state of Utah 5 stars. But since this is the government grounds, I'm gonna give it 3. Because governments, well, they're too big.

The Utah State Capital is beautiful! It sits on the top of a hill where you can see a great view of SLC and the Wasatch Mountains. Definitely make sure to walk around inside. The murals and artwork are a must see.
The centerpiece of Temple Square & the Mormon Church, this ornate structure was dedicated in 1893. With beautiful grounds and the Temple itself, it's an interesting place to visit for cultural tourism. There's also a pretty indoor/outdoor mall just across South Temple called City Creek Center.
This temple is so beautiful and so historic. I have loved coming here! We'll see what it is like after the seismic renovations. It will still be amazing! A great place to come and visit!

As an internationally recognized symbol for a specific religion, this is an iconic building to see in SLC. It's noticeable in the skyline of the city and is very well known amongst Latter-day Saints.
They light Temple Square up to the gills with Christmas lights every year, and it's always fun to walk around. The building itself is pretty spectacular - it took a very long time to build in many years ago. If you are a believing Latter-day Saint, this building and visiting it will mean much more to you than the casual observer recognizing different faith traditions. However, it is an architectural structure and can still be recognized for it's beauty. This is simply my rating as a work of architecture. It is a symbol for a Christian religion that has major influence in Salt Lake City. As a tourist coming to visit, it's a building that will likely be on your bucket list in SLC.
Nate Church — Google review
Full disclosure, I am not a Mormon, but appreciate the history of this people. The architecture is great and the ladies that give the tours are very friendly. Unfortunately the temple was underdone repairs, so the view was obstructed.

This was one of the most remarkable pieces of architecture I've ever beheld in my life, and I am in awe of the craftsmanship, detail and commanding beauty of this timeless edifice. the experience of touring the Temple square and the visitor center and the conference center will be a cherished long memory. I hope to return again future, and highly recommend this experience to literally anyone and everyone.

I love temple square especially in the spring and winter with the beautiful smelling flowers or Christmas lights. Even now with all of the construction, it is still so fun to check out the family history museum and the foundational work going on.

To the the people making reviews can we NOT start making false accounts of events regarding this building? This is meant for honest reviews and let's keep it that way. If you want to go spread your false accusations of chanting and interactive plays I would recommend Twitter.
All that aside looked nice before it went under renovation. Can't wait till it done in 2026.

Best place on earth. It doesn't matter if you're a Believer or not you should go. To see something so instrumental in the building of so many people's faith is worth it.

Not temporarily close. Closed for 3 years and will continue under construction until 2026. If you plan to sightseeing and take a picture, sorry, it's just a construction site currently.

I loved going here with my family. Just going inside it feels different. I've biked here too, and gotten to see it while it wasn't under construction. (Although I didn't take pictures sadly...) I'd definitely recommend visiting it to see the construction they're doing, and how it all looks. Its truly incredible.

Very interesting to see the temple under construction. I'm glad I got to see it. However can't wait to see it finished

I went for the tour of the conference center. The girls that gave the tour were extremely nice and had very good info about the temple and the conference center. Although I understand the temple was under construction that didnt bother me too much, but the fiberglass Jesus statue caught me off guard. I was expecting a marble statue of Jesus instead of a fiberglass rendition... I mean, really, the LDS can afford a marble statue.

I love this temple so much! It’s so unfortunate it’s been closed for almost 4 years! It’s always welcoming to members, and even non members. Non members cannot go inside for religious reasons, but they can still visit the temple grounds outside so they can have an experience too. Things are handled very professionally, and quietly here. Not to mention absolutely beautiful during Christmas!

I loved it. It's so beautiful and the visitors center was a great place to learn about the building of the temple. I also really liked the modal of Jerusalem and the narrative given showing the locations of the savior's last days.

Temple Square is almost always open, but we learned the hard way that it is closed Thanksgiving day.
We still had a good time walking around the perimeter. The front view of the temple was available by going in by the Joseph ith Memorial Building.
The weather was beautiful and it was fun to be there when very few others were there.

Temple Square is so beautiful. The museum is such an interesting segway to see how the religion began and understanding who the people are and what they stand for.
The volunteers were so knowledgeable and friendly, ready to talk, and answer any and all questions you may have!

Temple Square, located in Salt Lake City, Utah, is the spiritual and symbolic center of the Mormon religion. The square contains the Mormon Temple and other significant structures, as well as gardens.
Wonderful experience with my older children (8+) while going to see Music and the Spoken Word on Easter! We were there for the first performance since the start of the pandemic and they were truly marvelous! I would highly recommend attending on a Sunday morning and taking it all in!

What a beautiful and solemn experience. We were in Salt Lake City for one day and, at the end of the day, we heard that the Choir was practicing. So we raced to hear them. Beautiful and inspiring.
07/08/2022 EDIT: Please be aware that the main temple is currently being renovated/reinforced. So, it is covered with scaffolding and the towers are gone.

Beautiful grounds of LDS facilities. The main temple is under renovation for next 5 yrs, but the rest of grounds is beautiful! We went in the Assembly Hall, Tabernacle and huge visitor center/convention hall. The visitor center had some fabulous paintings and sculptures.

The temple itself is totally unrecognizable as it is covered in scaffolding. But the grounds still have an amazing feel and the Spirit is definitely there! I saw the Conference Center, Tabernacle, museum, and more. It was all family friendly and very interesting. Someone was even practicing on the organ in the Tabernacle when I was in there.

The Salt Lake Temple is being renovated. The renovation project is in
the third year. Over the past two years, two tower cranes were erected on the north and south sides of the temple. These cranes have been used for various purposes, such as removing stones from the walls and towers. Temple Square is well worth a visit, and visitors can go inside the Tabernacle. There are church volunteers available for any questions.

As we walked the square during the very cold evening, there were no people, and ultimately, no views of the Chapel...as there was a full-on construction project being done with a full-on 10' fence with razors surrounding the Chapel. They even had the surrounding block dug out to sub levels of the street. Amazing to see this scale of change being done right in the middle of the square! It's really something to be seen first hand... especially at night. Looking forward to the progress and ultimately the finished product. Amazing

Temple square is amazing. They must see. Good Mormon people are very friendly, polite, helpful, enthusiastic, and informative.
The three girls in the picture accompanied my wife and I and and other couple. On the tour it was very impressive. The temple is over 175 years old. Reviewed the tabernacle and then came back for choir practice in the convention center later that evening. If you go to salt lake City, don't miss the chance to go to Temple's square.

Temple Square is partially under construction right now. But this is an incredible place. The temple on the square took pioneers 40 years to build. There are multiple visitors centers where you can watch videos and see exhibits to learn more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and it's members.
The Natural History Museum of Utah is a 10-gallery institution dedicated to earth science and native cultures in Salt Lake City, Utah. The museum has an impressive collection of objects from around the US and focus on Utah's unique geological and prehistory. Hands-on exhibits educate visitors about the formation of sand dunes and how to build earthquake-resistant structures! The museum also has a impressive fossil and dinosaur collection, including the only set of Ceratopsian skulls in the world.
The dinosaur exhibit is wonderful. I love the gemstone exhibit too. I also enjoy the geology exhibit that traces the history of Utah through millions of years of massive change.
The museum regularly hosts visiting exhibits from all over the world. I recommend going during these times.
There are also interactive activities for children in the mornings and at scheduled times.
In other words, to get the most out this museum, you should look at their event schedule and plan ahead.

Mine and my youngest son's first experience at a Natural History Museum. We were not disappointed. It was truly amazing. Between all the dinosaur skeletons, the wild life section, and the history of the Indians in Utah, it was all an amazing experience. Plus, the view of Salt Lake City is incredible.

Very nice museum with tons of interesting things to look at. We were there on a weekday when some schools were there. Had it not been for all the kids I believe we would have been the only ones there. Rocks and minerals were very interesting as well as all the fossils and dino bones. We had a great time and would recommend this as a stop for any traveler.

Hot tip: start from the top floor and work your way down.
Hot tip for tourists: if you have a pass to a natural history museum in your hometown, it might be valid to use here too! We used our Museum of the Rockies pass to get in free!
Hot time on time: we went on a weekday in the evening outside of tourist season, there were no crowds and not many other people there.
This is an incredible museum. We happened to visit while there is a Jane Goodall exhibit and it was amazing. There is a lot of thought put in to this museum and I recommend it for young and old alike.
The viewing decks were closed when we arrived, but I hope to get to go out there next time we’re in Salt Lake.

This was one of my favorite museum experiences I’ve ever been able to participate in. The walking amount can be a bit of a struggle for those with lesser endurance, but even then, slopes are gradual, elevators are available, and the entirety of the exhibits, save for a couple optional locations, appeared to be easy enough to navigate and handicap-friendly. The stories and presentations were excellently captured, and they made it very easy to discern between interactive and non-interactive attractions and displays. Fun for any age, with lots of visual, auditory, and tactile interactions throughout. Set aside a good 2-3 hours if you want to see everything and experience things wholly. We spent 2 and a half hours here and ended up having to be rushed out at closing time half-way through the Colors exhibit.
Absolutely worth the time, the travel, and the visit.

This was an amazing experience! The architecture and exhibits are spectacular. I would totally share pictures of them, but it would just spoil the magic! I also really enjoyed the outdoor decks that give an awesome view of the salt lake city skyline. It was fun for myself, and the rest of my family. Very fun, and I would definitely go here again in the future.

Breath-taking place. You'll dive deep into the history of Utah. It'll surely give you a serotonin boost. The palaeontology section is mind blowing. Loved their collection. The dinosaur's bones are marvellous. Their mineral collections are also praise-worthy.
You'll need 3-4 hour min to visit the place. They have a cafe on the ground floor. The ticket fee is $20 for outsiders, free if you have a student pass (of the U)
Highly recommended place.

Did you know that pterodactyls are not dinosaurs! This is a lovely museum nestled right up next to the mountains. The layout is designed masterfully. It is the perfect afternoon activity! Please do not smell the dinosaur meal…..ugh. You will also learn about the difference between mastodons and woolly mammoths! Well worth the price!

We really enjoyed this museum! The attention to detail is incredible. The flow is perfect to match your pace. You can quickly go through or spend your time at each station. It’s set up as a walkthrough. From dinosaurs to current wildlife-the place has it all. And the view outside is AMAZING! Definitely check this out!!!

Had a great time here with my two small kids. Lots of steps but there was an elevator for the stroller that was quick and convenient. The dinosaur exhibit was a little hard to find and my husband ended up having to go back through with our 5yr old to find it before we left. Some of the hands on features didn’t work but most did and they were fun for everyone. The staff were helpful and our toddler was free. The gift shop is pricey but had some great stuff that the kids are still enjoying weeks later.

The Natural History Museum of Utah is a sensational interactive destination in Salt Lake City. A visually stunning building set at the base of the Wasatch Mountains is home to dinosaurs, rocks & minerals, animals and indigenous peoples.
At the start of the museum, a hands-on kiosk guides even the smallest of guests to the museum level that most interests your blossoming Biologist, Paleontologist, Naturalist, Historian, or Geologist. This way, if time is limited, make a bee-line for target areas.
Engaging all five senses, visitors can smell extinct flora and fauna; dig for fossils; engage Paleontologists at work; draw dinosaurs; jump to create seismic waves; assemble cells and DNA strands; observe ants; touch a snake, and so much more!
Before or after entrance, trails open up to the majesty of Utah's natural wonders for hikers and bikers alike. Be sure to pack sunscreen and good shoes!
Whether there's an hour or all day, don't miss this gem. It's in the top 10 "things to do in Salt Lake City" for a reason. 10/10 recommend!

Museum is huge, 5 levels, all each have a little outdoor patio with stuff to read. Don't lose your ticket cause it's also the key to get in an out from the patios. Lots of interaction rooms, areas and monitors. When you enter there's a cute quiz that suggests where to start. We didn't listen an started on level 5 an worked our way down and across. There's stairs an elevators. Next to the elevators on each level are restrooms. It took us about 3-4 hours to complete the museum an shop the gift shop. There's much to look at. Native american, fossils, dinosaurs, geology, the earth with minerals and plate tectonics, animals/insects, DNA, micro biology, and human/ animal evolution. An a mini zoo. I'd definitely check it out.

What a great experience and well worth the visit. Not sure of cost as I went as veteran free this weekend. Located off Wakara way at University of utah. 5 floors to explore. Native American indigenous peoples on top, an observation deck looks out over the Salt Lake Valley. Dinosaur on a level some play and Interactive for the children. Wild life exhibits on one floor. A great walk through history. Everyone should visit if not once, many times. Gift shop and food court are here to.

My favorite part was the Native American artifacts. A lot of the science exhibits are hands on / oriented for younger children. They also have an impressive array in of gems and minerals - many of which I had never heard of, but were very pleasing to the eye. It was quite expensive, and closes right at 5. I would have liked more time to explore the upper levels.

Jane Goodall exhibit is great. Very friendly staff I recommend at least 2-4 hours here. We did 2.5 and still feel like we had to rush through some stuff. Dino area is insane but minerals are pretty quick. The overall layout is all ADA accessible and beautiful, really combines form and function. Worth the money

I would ask you to try to go to this museum a little earlier because it close pretty early so I think you’ll need like two hours to enjoy it in a full depth. There was an exhibit of a scientist who lived with monkeys. It was a really cool exhibit. Buying tickets is very easy at the door. However, they don’t have student prices so if your student having your student ID as you want to anything, unless you are a student of university of Utah.
If you really want to see the information about dinosaurs, highly would advise you to go to this museum $23 ticket is very well for this museum.

This is a great museum! In a beautiful building with amazing views, this bolsters also some great exhibits as well. From the natural history of Utah and the special collection of Jane Goodall, this is a perfect place for all ages. We did get a good discount for being students, but I would for sure come back with new exhibits in the future. The gift shops also have lots of great options.

This museum was fantastic, from the outside it looks small, but the interior has so much well designed space and exhibits. The only downside was the parking was a bit limited, but other than that, fantastic. The replica fossils were amazing, as well as everything else! Fantastic place to visit in SLC!

This museum is amazing. I love how it's laid out, and it definitely looks like a canyon on the inside. You can go to the cafe without a ticket, if you want. But the museum is so worth the price. There's 5 floors with so much information. I loved the mineral area, and the dinosaurs from a local quarry were also great to look at. The native voices exhibit is so informative, and definitely worth the stop.
Parking is free, and they have a good lot with ramps. The views from the cafe are great, and they gave bathrooms near the elevator exits.

Beautiful museum with lots of exhibits. Highly recommend! If you go during the warm seasons it's right next to the red butte gardens, which is also nice to do. Utah Olympic Park, built for the 2002 Winter Olympics, is a sprawling complex that offers various activities and sports events. It features ski jumps of different heights ranging from 10m to 120m, bobsled-luge track, and Nordic combined events. The park hosts national competitions throughout the year and is also used by professional athletes for training purposes. One can engage in adventure ropes courses or take zip-lining rides while exploring their inner athlete.
We did the bobsled experience and it was awesome! So much fun! That being said, if you're having second thoughts, it really isn't as scary as you might think. Very similar to a wooden rollercoaster ride.
The park itself is amazing in the winter. Lots of cool things to see!

You should take some time and go here if you are visiting Park City. You can watch ski jumpers do their acrobatic tricks into the water for free. For $85 you can do 3 1/2 hours of sliding the tubes down the ski hill or the alpine slides or the zip lines. We went on a Thursday afternoon and it didn’t feel too busy. The skiers are very entertaining to watch.

Impressive facility in a very picturesque setting, good museum and facility tour. It is close to a very beautiful alpine style town Park City, which is nestled into the valley. Very busy, lots of pre , and apres ski, perfect March break weather sun and snow.

What a blast the bobsled is to ride. I highly recommend doing this ride for several reasons. 1. It is fun. 2. It helps to support track maintenance and the workers needed to make it happen. 3. Proceeds from this and the store benefit our Olympians.
All you do is, pay for the ride, take a free shuttle to the finish line where you receive instruction from Carl, receive another free shuttle with your bobsled and professional driver to the starting point, get in the sled 1, 2, 3, and sit down 3, 2, 1 and hang on while you reach 65 to 70 mph and experience up to 3 and 4 g's. You will be hooked and if like us, we did it again the following day.

I really didn't know what to expect. I read that some Olympic athletes trained there, but that was about it. It turned out that there were about a dozen kids and early 20's people practicing on the smaller jumps and landing in a pool. We enjoyed watching that. The bobsled run also had some paid participants. We opted out since it cost $100. It was still fun to watch. The biggest surprise was going to the top of the ski jump. I had no idea it was that high. Those athletes are crazy! Many rides for the whole family. Highly recommend!

Located at the top of Park City on Deer Valley's Summit, this renowned resort offers skiing, snowboarding and other activities in winter. The resort bustles with beautiful autumn colors and offers a true ski-in/ski-out experience.
Park City Mountain is great for so many reasons. The mountain itself is huge especially after the recent connection with The Canyons. It’s also very easy to get around for such a large mountain. There’s a ton of terrain for every level of experience. The town of Park City is also a great ski town with everything from cool dive bars to high end art galleries. Highly recommended!

Neat place to check out even in the off season. We did the alpine slide and it was pretty fun. You take a ski lift to the starting point and it's a pretty long ride to the bottom. We did wish they had a ticket option that would give you more than one ride but we had a good time. There are multiple restaurants and shops to check out and several other attractions. City buses also stop here often so you could explore other nearby points of interest with ease.

6 of us skied last weekend and had a wonderful experience. All of us various levels so skied green to Double black and all enjoyed the runs and variety and size of the resort. Food was excellent. Shuttles to mountain from main St Park City to Canyons was convenient and easy. Many lifts were fast. Highly recommend. Beautiful weather

Amazing routes. All skill ranges. Relearned boarding the hard way. Spent a couple days on Park City Mountain. Highly recommended Canyons Village for Intermediate- Advanced as it’s always a little less crowded with the kiddos and beginners. Or stay near the tops of the peaks and send harder routes. Favourite had to be monkey powder (black) where you ski through some tight forest and tree line. Can get very skill heavy.
Had amazing fresh powder and snow days the week of Christmas through new year.
Routes in the morning were a little delayed on opening. Cause of heavy snow fall. If you’re going to park at the base of the mountains by the lifts plan on getting there early, like 7:30am. Gear up and get in line by 8. Otherwise be prepared to be behind hoards of people in line for the base lifts.

I am extremely happy with my experience here! I am still learning how to ski, while my boyfriend has been snow boarding for years, and we were both able to enjoy the mountain together. There were tons of trail options available for all skill levels and the maps were easy to navigate. One of my most absolute favorite things about Park City, and the reason I’m writing this review, was the staff! Starting from parking, to the season pass office, etc, we were greeted with friendly staff who were more than willing to answer questions. I was AMAZED with the hospitality provided. The park “hosts” greeted us on the mountain and even on the lifts, giving us all the great tips and tricks to make our day fun. There were multiple occasions where we weren’t sure where to go, and all we had to do was turn around and find a person in a red shirt who happily gave us direction. Even the mountain safety staff was beyond kind! Special shout out to Jeff in the mountain safety team - I was moving slow at the end of the day and he took the time to make sure my boyfriend and I were okay and safe as we made our final run down the mountain. So far this is my favorite ski experience I have had and I can’t wait to come back. We even saw moose at the end of our day!!!! So cool!! 10/10 highly recommend!!

Awesome place to ski! There is definitely something for everyone. We personally, preferred the Canyons side. It's more open with more runs and less crowds. PC is also Sno-Go friendly and we had a ron of fun riding them down the slopes. We will definitely return!

Not worthy of even 1 star. Disgusting, rude and unprofessional customer service at the ticket office by Darrell Evans. This man should not be allowed anywhere near paying customers!!! I will never ever set foot in Park City again. The lift lines were over 2 hours long, Yes 2 hours!!! See the photos...you pay $264 for a day of skiing except you don't ski, you spend the day in long, long lines just to get on a lift. The prices are super expensive. For example, a half day ticket will cost you $211 for 4 hours of skiing. DONT COME HERE!!! GO SKI ELSEWHERE!! MR OWENS YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSING SOME VERY LOYAL CUSTOMERS AS WELL AS OUR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS!! LEARN TO BE RESPECTFUL OR GET OUT OF THE BUSINESS! Park City, shame on you for taking people's hard earned money to have them stand in line for hours. And...for hiring someone like Mr. Owens to assist your customers. He should be taking out the trash that way it matches his professionalism! Park City your loss is Jackson Hole's gain! BYE BYE BYE!!!

Excellent place for first time skiers! The mountain wasn’t crowded on Wednesday or Thursday, and we were able to get right on lift. The routes were great because even at the top of mountain you could take a green route, so as a beginner you could still go to top. Homerun was THE most fun route, 3.5 miles of cross country turns and then some steeper slopes with the best views EVER! The snow was well maintained and powdery, a perfect spot for beginners learning. The whole lodge was convenient and easy to get around walking in your ski boots (parking, food, rental equipment, bathrooms are all in main building at bottom of mountain).

Nice little town, specially if you are a skier ⛷️ we stay for two nights at the Marriot mountain vacation club, and enjoy the time and place. Restaurants are a bit pricey and during September to November many places closed down. People are friendly, if you are a skier you will enjoy a lot this place and probably will pay more than we did as we stayed during the off season.

Park city mountain is my favorite mountain. It is well maintained and it's huge. The free shuttle system is absolutely incredible. This has been my second year traveling out west to visit this mountain. It's always a blast and there's many bathrooms and places to eat all around the mountain

So, I’m definitely more of a Brighton girl, but Park City is starting to grow on me. It’s truly a different experience every time you’re there. I mean, it’s so big, how can it not be?? If it’s your first time here, I’d recommend starting at Canyons Village. I just think it’s more fun over there. Work your way over to the other side of the mountain if you need to. The coolest part about that side is the Town Lift, which takes you right into town. And, there’s a free shuttle that takes you to each base, so you can get lost and still make it back to your car.

Wether you are a beginner skier or a pro the Park City Mountain is the ideal place to hone and practice your skills. They feature one of the longest in the USA green runs -3.5 miles long. It’s a perfect place for the beginners and families with small kids. They even have a small ice rink. Although I saw four years old kids navigate blues like no tomorrow. The ski school offers all day long kids lessons, half a day adult lessons or private instructors. All together the resort employs over 100 instructors. The ski area is endless, they have so many slopes with various degree of difficulty and the Epic lift pass also works with the Canyons near by. You can spend a week hear and still not to hit all the runs. The resort ski area features many equipment rental companies but if you rent from Legacy Sports Rentals you can valet your equipment overnight. Also keep in mind that locker rentals are on daily basis only but if you need to store helmets and boots overnight you can rent a valet cubby right next to the lockers. There is a plethora of dining options, all pricey as expected at places like these. The quality of food versus prices definitely needs improvement. Vending machines are selling water for $5 a small bottle. After a weekend of skiing you will be ready to sell a kidney to cover the cost. All of the staff working the resort: ski valets, instructors, rental personnel, administrators were helpful and friendly. If you love snow slopes and snow sports and have some expandable cash Park City is the place to be.

DISGUSTING ATTITUDE AND POUR COSTUMER SERVICE FROM “manager” DARRELL EVANS!!! HE HAS TO BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!
CAN NOT EXPRESS ENOUGH WITH WORDS HOW ANGRY WE ARE RIGHT NOW AND HOW DISRESPECTFUL THIS PERSON TREATED US!!!
Came to ski ( from Miami Feb 24th to 28th ) in Canons and Park City, but due to the incredible amount of people ( pictures/videos attached), we couldn't do much. We arrived early ( Saturday the 25th ) and started the line for the gondola at 8:30 a.m., and after almost 3 hours in line, we were able to get in the gondola to start the day around noon!
Almost four hours in the morning were wasted making a line and using a gondola just to encounter hundreds of people making more lines for chairlifts.
We paid ($250 plus tax per day, almost $270 ) for a full day of skiing and we only got maybe 2 hours of skiing.
Some chairlifts close at 3:30 p.m. as well. We are coming from out of state and we are on vacation for only three days of skiing.
When we arrived at the ticket window and explained our concern to this employee, (”manager”) the lack of arrogance and audacity was beyond insolence. He did not care about anything we were saying. He was not willing to help us in any way and was making fun of us.
Here we are on our last day of skiing and wanted to ski for half a day and the price for a half-day ticket is almost $230!!!! The full price is $250, ridiculous!
After the explanation that was provided to this employee, he refused to assist us in any way. When I asked if I could take a picture of his name tag, he offered to pose with a thump up and a big smile! That was when we lost it!
I don’t think I can describe the frustration!!!
I don’t understand why this company has this kind of employee working for them.
Extremely disrespectful and unprofessional!!!
We could have paid for half a day, but his attitude ruined the whole experience and we decided just to leave. This place is not worth it!!!
Not coming back again to be treated this way!
Darrel Evans’s supervisor was not helping either. After we left for a few minutes, we needed to speak to Darrel’s supervisor, but he seemed not to care either!
WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE AGAIN!!!

Great customer service. I got locked out of my account, and they got me back in immediately. The slopes are great and there are a lot of tracks. I've had a season pass here before and I was happy with the variety of park, tree, and regular runs.

Love PC!! Great terrain, Well maintained equipment. Attentive staff. I always feel safe here. Food is good Apres Ski is excellent. Thos is one of the easiest trips from airport to lifts that you will find.

Expensive resort. If you want to pay the premium of $300+ day pass by all means go ahead. Please do your own research well before entering the resort. I suggest checking out other alternative resorts for better pricing. There are way cheaper resorts that are near Park City that are $50-$100 for a day pass. I paid about $300 for a lift ticket without a lesson. I only went to this resort because I thought they had price options for the beginner slopes with the magic carpet, but they did not. It was too late to go elsewhere by the time I got there. Beautiful place and friendly field operators. The customer service on the phone was degrading me during the call. He was sarcastic, rude, and made remarks. He was not helpful at all. I definitely will not return to this resort and not recommend it to my family and friends due to my experience with their office customer service.

Beautiful breathtaking resort. We had gone early December, so more than a few runs and lifts were closed because of how early it was. But there were plenty of blues and greens to keep us busy and challenged for our level.
Bus system was straightforward from the main mountain to the canyon side, but was fairly confusing to get back and accidentally went the wrong way. If all the lifts were open though you could get there via lift.
Not crowded. No waits. Well maintained slopes. Overall, really great

First of the ski season and we are looking forward to seeing 👀 what the ❄️ will bring!!
I posted the early season prices.
Absolutely 💯 amazing.
I'm coming up to the largest ski area in the United States. The lifts are top notch and the crowds are mitigated by the express online order and outside expedited fulfillment.
On the high valley transit system, you can visit the rest of the best ski resorts in America.
Family friendly, plenty of facilities that use zero waste toilet 🚻s.
I recommend you go see for yourself.
I'm sure you're done with any other resorts.
Summer is not a down time for the resort either. Just went with my girlfriend to the adventure park.
Longest Alpine Slide in the country with a mountain coaster as well!!!!

I had an issue with blisters on my ankles after day 1, the ski patrol picked me up in the golf cart and took me to the first aid office and bandaged them up so I could enjoy two more days of skiing. I even got a snowmobile ride back. Q was super helpful and really takes his job seriously. I will be skiing Park City and the Canyons again next year. Thank you Robert E.

Awesome! The food and resort was amazing! It had many choices of food, and places to go! The skiing was great; it had ski runs for all levels. It is a little pricey but it was worth it!
The Park City Main Street Historic District is a largely Victorian-era district that, after a fire in 1898, was reconstructed in various architectural styles. Today, it houses over 100 boutiques, 50 restaurants, and plenty of outdoor adventure companies.
Wow. So many amazing art galleries in one place! And plenty of shopping and great food options as well. I was very impressed that even while looking at photographs, paintings and fur coats that cost more than my car (and some more than my first house) that everyone was so nice and friendly. Not even one person was like that sales lady on Rodeo Drive in the movie Pretty Woman, and many seemed to genuinely enjoy my South Carolina drawl and comparing stories of our travels. I didn't get to ski, but there were plenty of families there that seemed to be having a blast. We found really beautiful views, a wonderful atmosphere, and a truly welcoming group of people.

Whenever you're up in Park City you always have to walk along Historic Main. Be aware that this is a tourist location, so you're looking at higher priced dining experiences and somewhat overpriced goods. But if price isn't too much of a concern then you'll be able to enjoy local artists and galleries, bookstores and confectionaries, and some pretty tasty pubs and restaurants. If you're in Utah for the ski season this can be a fun place to hit after the slopes

Christmas snow globe tour was a little bummer. The website made it seem it would be a little more interactive. Some are spaced really far apart. Had a little higher expectations considering it is in Park City. The decorations on Main Street was cute. Loved the tree.
We happened to be there the night Santa was supposed to ski down the slopes. No Santa unlike what the site claimed it was to happen. Big bummer for the kiddos!

A nice looking town with lots of high to overpriced shops to browse. Got some good exercise walking down then up hill. It does have a trolley to help people out. Occupied a couple of hours looking around. Asked a shop clerk about public rest rooms and she rudely told us they were next door. They got the job done at best. It is interesting how such upscale towns have such poorly maintained facilites for people that are spending money in the town.

Deer Valley Resort is a ski resort located in the town of Park City, Utah. The resort features hotels, condos, and shops along with restaurants and activities. It is one of the most popular resorts in Park City and offers many activities such as skiing, snowboarding, tubing, cruising on a small lake for kayakers or stand up paddle boarding.
Amazing ski resort. Amazing terrain. I was able to make it on a beautiful blue bird week. They had enough snow to make it worth it. Great conditions. Steep terrain, but enough for everyone. If you are a skier it is a place you must visit. Worth the price. It can be over the top but the terrain and conditions are worth the price of admission even if it is for one day.

The staff was amazing. The lodge is a bit confusing at first but there were plenty of workers to help guide you where to go. The ski school was probably the best I've experienced so far (I haven't experienced many to be fair). The runs were fun. I will say there is probably more for more experienced riders. It's also reasonably priced! And free parking too with a shuttle that brings you to the lodge. One downfall is no snowboarding.

Went for some mountain biking and it did not disappoint. I’m new to the sport and this was by far my favorite day on my bike yet. I hate pedaling and having the lift was amazing. Tidal wave jump track is so enjoyable. If you haven’t ridden here yet, it’s time to change that!

Best ski resort I’ve ever been to. Amazing service, food, and the runs are great! The groomers get a lot of the blues and all of the greens groomed almost every night, and the blacks are amazing for more advanced skiers! I personally enjoyed the blacks over by the Mayflower lift, but they’re super hard, so unless you’re an advanced skier, I wouldn’t try them! The lift lines can get super long if you don’t wake up and get over there early enough, so make sure you’re over there and getting your skis on BEFORE Carpenter and Silver Lake open. Anyway, this resort is amazing, and it’s kept me coming back for 8 years!
Mason Thomas — Google review
Though the base lodges can give you the impression the place is super crowded the mountain is big enough so skiers are spread far and wide. Like Alta this resort is skiers only. Lots of great trails for all abilities. Lines for the most part are short to non existent... during the week at least. We don't do weekends.

This review concerns the skiing activity at Deer Valley. My son and I skied here on a snowy Friday and enjoyed it a great deal. We parked in the free parking and took the shuttle provided up to the base, which worked well for us. The high-speed lifts get you lots of vertical and the staff are very professional and capable. We enjoyed a delicious lunch from their famous cuisine. Lunch hour seating was at a premium, however. My only complaint is that the lifts gather at the top of the ski runs, which means you may end up at the bottom at the wrong lift....

My favorite Utah resort on a “bad” snow day. Runs are always very well maintained and groomed. It’s a huge resort with tons of lifts.
It’s very well staffed, and the staff care a lot about your experience.
It’s a great ski resort to check out if you are 1. a local with an Ikon pass or 2. made of money.
5/5!

We didn't stay at the property, we just ate there. Excellent service by some fun Jamaican servers. They always add a fun spice to your experience. Other than the fact that it was ridiculously expensive, it was fun.

The pros:
*Parking lots are full but everyone hangs out in the lodge so there are no lines at the lifts. Interesting that no one actually skis when they come here
*Hot water in the bathrooms is unlike any other resort in Utah
*not young kids running lifts. All older professional people
*It's not like other resorts where you ski through nature and picturesque mountains. It's more like skiing in people's back yards which is really weird. One of the chairlifts literally takes you over a road

Thanksgiving Point is a charitable establishment that accommodates a variety of amenities including gardens, an interactive farm, eateries, shops and the Museum of Ancient Life. For those seeking a more scenic route, taking the drive over the mountains via route 92 through Sundance and 189 offers breathtaking landscapes until you rejoin -15. After passing Spanish Fork, the area becomes sparsely populated with just stunning scenery.
We went to the butterfly exhibit and it was beautiful. Our group was able to get amazing photos with the butterflies. I am a huge plant person and loved the plants they had inside. The playground indoors next to the exhibit was awesome of the kids to burn off their energy. Next time we’re in town I would love to come back.

So much to do! All museums are fun, so an annual pass is a must for us. If you don’t have kids, it’s probably less fun. Great for party venues or wedding receptions. We live close by so we like just walking the grounds. It’s so pretty in the warmer seasons.

Definitely a quality place for a fun day out. I got the explorer pass so I could visit multiple museums in one day. I loved the butterfly garden and the dinosaurs of the natural history museum. As a single young adult I'm not really the target audience, but I still really enjoyed my time at Thanksgiving Point. I also ate lunch in the restaurant.

Always enjoy the Tulip Festival at Ashton Gardens. I am impressed with their ability to maintain such a large property and to make it inviting for all every year. I also learned that most kids really like the two animatronic dinosaurs that have been placed near the entrance and are being allowed to eat the tulips. Of course, I did hear one of two kids start to cry when the sound effects recording started playing. I'm sure I will be back next year.

We had a lot of fun visiting a couple of spots around Thanksgiving point for my son's birthday. We loved the farm animals, the butterflies and the dino fossils. The only thing we didn't enjoy was the amount of unsupervised kids running around: scaring the animals, stepping on butterflies and throwing sand everywhere at the little kids. It's upsetting to see how stressed the animals and workers looked... not sure why parents would allow their kids to treat animals so unkindly.

Visitors can take guided tours of this cave at the end of a 1.5 mile trail from May to September.
The trail is steep and a work out. The views make the effort worth while. You can hike the trail only or visit the caves and trail. There are actually three caves on the tour. The rangers are very knowledgeable. Take a walk along the river by the visitor center. Very peaceful. Make sure to purchase tour tickets ahead of time on recreation.gov.
Daminick1980 — Google review
The 1.5-mile hike up the side of the mountain was a bit of a workout, but the views along the way of the surrounding valley are spectacular. Hiking by myself at a decent pace took about 45 minutes, so definitely plan for longer if you're with kids or taking a more leisurely stroll. My tour was set at 11:00AM, and when I arrived at the Visitor Center I was told to be up at the cave entrance by 12:30, to give you an idea of what the scheduling is like.
The caves themselves were awesome, and the ranger who led my tour was very knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions about the caves that I had. Will recommend to all of my friends and family in the area.

Generally a fun trip overall!
The trail is paved the whole way with plenty of places to stop and rest if that’s what suits your fancy. It took us about 40 minutes to get to the cave. Inside, the tour guide did an excellent job answering all of our random questions. (It was cool to witness the love and dedication the park rangers have for this canyon.) Obviously descending was much quicker… The flow of traffic was minimal and weather was great. Highly recommend going!

We went about a week ago and the fall colors were absolutely stunning!! The cave was amazing and Heather, our tour guide was so fun and knowledgeable!
It’s a really tough hike, I would make sure you are in good condition and leave yourself plenty of time to do the hike. However, we did see a family with little kiddos up there so it is possible.
There are lots of benches and resting spots along the way. Bring plenty of water, but you won’t be allowed to open it in the cave. No large backpacks in the cave either.
There are some places you have to really skinny through in the cave and some you have to bend down really low to get under.
They have a water fill up station at the bottom of the trail by the visitors center, the bathroom at the visitors center a nice and clean, and they also have a bathroom at the top right before you get to the cave. That bathroom was a bit more like your usual camping bathroom so it was a little grosser, but not bad. We were the last tour of the day and they still had hand sanitizer in there. Make sure to use the bathroom when you get the chance!! No opportunities in the cave!

Absolutely Beautiful place! Great History, Fun tour guides, beautiful sights, would highly recommend for a fun day! The hike is a little steep and if it's Summer it can hot, but once you enter the cave it cools off and feels great. You also have to be prepared, bring a water bottle and good shoes. Wouldn't recommend for very young children or those in bad physical shape.

Definitely worth $12 fee to enter the caves. Trail is easy. Takes around one hour going up and half an hour coming back. You will spend a little less than an hour in caves. They were just breathtaking and the ranger who was doing the tour was super knowledgeable, and funny. Do it ! You wont regret it !

Great place to visit if in the area. The hike up is pretty strenuous and steep if you aren’t somewhat in shape. The tour is pretty interesting and the guides are very informative. The only con is the number of large kid groups. When the parents don’t keep them in line, they push to through the group and make lots of noise! This should be for ages 13+.

I only did the hike up but from what I saw it was awesome! As a Sasquatch enthusiasts I'm always on the lookout for Bigfoot, but yet again the elusive creature went unseen. Thankfully though, this national monument has a great habit for him as well as wonderful park rangers there to keep us safe and protect the local wildlife

This is such a wonderful hike! Make sure and plan because it takes a lot longer than you think to get up there for your tour because of the incline, but it was a great experience. We had a group that included an eight-year-old and two almost 40-year-olds, but we all made it just fine. The tour was wonderful, educational and entertaining.
The hike itself is a bit strenuous, but lovely, and inside the cave is a little chilly, but everything is well lit, and the tour guide that we had did a great job.
I totally recommend going.
We went October and the weather and scenery was absolutely perfect.

Rodger Goeckeritz — Google review
Cave tour was excellent! The hike up is steep, and they expect it to take you up to 1 1/2 hours. But, if you get up early they'll do their best to get you on an earlier tour.
Our group spent about 1 hour total in the three different caves. They are all unique, and get more spectacular as you go along.
They've kept the caves very natural, so expect to need to do some serious ducking and crouching to prevent yourself from hitting the cave walls. Because of this I'd highly recommend not bringing a large backpack with you.

Need to book the tour in advance. We need to hike up about 45min-1hour depend on your pace and enjoy the spectacular view. The view was amazing so I took a slow hike and enjoy it. There are a lot of people who hike, family with kids, couple even elder.
The cave itself was amazing, really enjoy the tour, there is a tour guide/ranger will explain about the cave and the history as well. You ask questions and get some explanation. Inside the cave was quiet cold so better to bring a jacket.

The Hike to the cave can be intense. We had to carry our 4 year old about half of the way up. It took us the full 90 minutes to hike up from the visitors' center to the cave entrance. Our diaper bag was too large and needed to stay outside the cave in a bear box. Both my boys needed jackets in the cave. It was too cold for them even though it was in the 90's outside. The hike was worth it, Timpanogos Cave is amazing. I can't wait until my kids are old enough to go on the more in-depth tours.

Beautiful cave, good guides. Be aware that it's a healthy 1 hour walk up (1000 ft up over ? km walk), so make sure you're ready for that: appropriate clothing, water, etc. If needed, take a rest at the occasional seats. Restroom at the top. They say the cave is 45°F, but it felt great after that walk. Everyone on the staff was excellent.

Our walk was late in the year, mid Oct. Cave was closed for cleaning but trail up still open. Great views an the way, still some fall colors to be seen. We didn't go until around 10 am but fall sun made walk look like it was sunrise. Benches on trail and posted reminders to watch a persons heart rate were a good reminder we were not in a race. Trail was pretty steep in some areas. Tree roots growing in places that made no sense. Only one restroom and it's atop just before the cave. Staff we met were real friendly, The on duty Ranger was great, had some stories to share. We look forward to when cave is open to visitors next year.

You have to buy a ticket to get into Timpanogos Cave and they give you an hour and a 1/2 from the time that you check in at the visitor center until you need to be at the entrance of the cave but I got up there in less than an hour and I stopped to take pictures along the way. It is a steep climb. however it is paved so it's an easy trail in that respect. The park Rangers are really nice and informative.

First off we didn't make it to the cave, we were not prepared. It is 1.5 hr hike to the cave, about 1 hrs through and about an hour back down. There are restrooms and water at the ticket station. We skipped as we didn't have lunch yet and we needed some more gear. It is an easy day hike, but as amateur hikers, we didn't even have a med kit with us or a solid day pack, so we stuck to the creek trails close to the road and had a great time..
DFW Food Dude — Google review
The private tour was shorter, distance and time, but special because of the small group size, dark and offpath cave not otherwise viewable. Really, after the rough hike up (it is a tough hike to go quick) do both! I wish we did. The Rangers were great fun to chat with and VERY excited to have us visit.

This place is so beautiful! The view is amazing!
It could be a challenge to hike. Have plenty of water and snacks, especially for kids.
There are some high drops during the hike, but it's worth it.
Trail: 3 miles +/- round trip
Difficulty: Moderate to Hard
Hazards: High drops, Potential rock falls
Parking: Good for early birds
The Cave tickets are only found online.

Beautiful caves and beautiful views are just some of the amazing things about this National Monument. It is a 1.5/mile hike up the side of the mountain to get to these amazing caves. The caves can only be seen with a cave tour so make sure to get tickets early as they book up fast. I went on a lantern tour with some friends and had Ranger Alex who was funny and educational. The trail does gain 1,100 feet so make sure to take plenty of water as it can definitely be a feat. You do have an hour and a half from the time on your ticket to make it to the top for your tour. It was definitely worth it!!
Bridal Veil Falls is a scenic waterfall located close to U.S. route 189 with a paved trail and picnic area equipped with tables. The falls are accompanied by frozen sections that enhance its beauty making it an ideal spot for sightseeing. It provides an opportunity for a short hike along the river, showcasing a series of waterfalls providing picturesque views.
Beautiful falls along U.S. route 189. Passed through at the beginning of February here while on a trip to see the Ice Castles in Midway and this was a very nice side stop during the trip. The snow and frozen sections of some of the falls made it even more breath taking! Well worth the stop!!

Great experience and worth the visit . Make sure you view the falls from both view points. Pool water is fun for the children to play in and throw stones, but water is cold. Great story behind the falls, read and let your mind imagine.

Definitely a great place to get out and walk around when the weather is nice! I walked along the Provo river trail that goes past the falls and it's a very easy walk. I also got to walk into the falls a little and it's so beautiful. Truly a gem local to Provo.

This a beautiful place. Nice hike along the River and has a several water falls. This is a nice ares to come with you hall family. It has picnic ares. Just a beautiful place to spend the day.
Teri Palacios — Google review
Well, it was a beautiful day to go when I headed out there on May 9th, 2023, but it'll be a while before anyone can get reasonably close to the actual falls. A massive avalanche has essentially wiped out the path, and while you can technically hike on it, I wouldn't recommend doing that.
Jeff Of The Mountains — Google review
Overall, I had a really good time hiking up to the waterfall! It's been a few years, so I was excited to see what's changed. One of those changes being that there's some construction fencing up at the base of the water fall. I'm not sure why, but it does kind of detract from the experience a little bit. Since it's still cold outside, there was some snow and ice left on the trail, but not so much so that it made the hike hard. I will say that the view was very beautiful and definitely worth it for the short little hike. I will say that it probably would have been better to go a little bit later in the day when the sun is up higher because being in the shadows was a little on the chilly side. Anyways, fun little hike that doesn't take too long and still lets you get outside!

Anyone can do it. It’s a short walk, about .5 miles on a paved path from the parking lot. However, we tried climbing up to the falls and it was pretty sketchy, so be careful.

Beautiful water falls and the colors during the fall are breath taking! Take a ride or walk down the trail that connects, or fly fish in the stream!! You’ll love it!

Unbelievably Amazing water falls! They are huge. This place is amazing for kids and adults. Great place for family's who want to go on walks or those aggressive bike riders! One of the best parts is that the falls are right off the highway! Makes it easy to get to and get some amazing pictures. You can hike up to be closer to the falls and get an even more amazing view!

Visited Bridal Veil Falls Area in May 2023 Beautiful Falls, However with the Heavy Run- off from the Major Snow Utah received this Year. The Park portion was closed, along with the River. But you could still take in the sights from the Parking Area
tom thompson — Google review
We just went and it's mostly closed, major avalanche. We hiked up it for a bit (not recommended, very dangerous) and to get to where the path used to be we were on top of about 30-50 feet of snow. Definitely wait until it's cleared before you plan on spending time at the falls.
Joshua Black (Josh) — Google review
Pathways, trails, and main parking lot still closed from avalanche. The falls were glorious, as always, but the best view at this point is the viewing area further up the highway. You can still park inside the main gate and walk to the picnic area and enjoy the river and trees. No bathrooms. The debris flow is going to take months to clean up, and the upper part of Old Provo Canyon Road is in a serious state of erosion. Watch your step and don't try to hike on the unstable avalanche leftovers.
TheClumsyJedi — Google review
Just a short 15 minute drive from Downtown Provo, Bridal Veil Falls is a must visit. With an easily accessible pull off and trails, visitors can spend a whole day exploring the area. Currently under an avalanche, but still as scenic as ever.

I'll never travel to Moab without this trip planner again
Dating to 1875, this private Mormon school is known for its picturesque campus & athletics programs.
Great location, great professors, great education. Would highly recommend. For those concerned about it being owned and operated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, some of my best student friends were Lutheran, Catholic and Muslim. Anyone can have a great experience there and get a world class education at the same time. I became a better and more capable person because of my time as a BYU Cougar. Wouldn't trade the experience for the world. "Enter to learn, go forth to serve."

Very bad experience - zero stars for customer service (I am not talking about testing department, which was very helpful for their area). We enrolled a high schooler into a credit recovery (2 part course, each 60 days), and the timer started on both at the same time (no warning when they charged me for two courses at the same time, I guess it all is in a small font I missed). Not only we lost $ for part two we did not even open, but we cannot extend or enroll again for a year. Hence we lose a whole year. Customer service (phone and email) was useless, zero empathy as well. Beware and may you not need their help if you are enrolled.

Well-rounded university focused on undergraduate education. They offer incredibly valuable and affordable bachelors degrees with lots of career and resume building opportunities for students. The mission of the university is definitely focused on student success. It’s a super fun and friendly college environment and atmosphere.
These are my honest opinions after attending 4 years here and graduate school at a different university.

BYU is one of the most amazing places to attend school, and to work.
The caliber of people you associate with leaves you filled with hope for the future. A very beautiful campus, with wonderful kind people everywhere.
Spencer Fields — Google review
Outstanding university with a talented pool of students. Situated in one of the most breathtakingly scenic locations for a university campus, with stunning mountains on the doorstep of the school, your walks to class will be often awe-inspiring. There has been a lot of updating on the campus. Make no mistake, this is a unique environment that won't be for everyone. But for active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or those who like the clean-cut environment, it is a great place to get an education. Though it has a well-deserved reputation as being very conservative, you will find a lot more political diversity here than you expect on many issues. And with the majority of students from outside the state of Utah, in many ways, it is more diverse than any other school in Utah, and less in the "bubble" than critics often claim. Great place to get an education. And the cost for the value is incredible!

Brigham Young University has been voted 21st of the prettiest college campuses. It is a stunning campus nestled beneath the gorgeous Cascade mountains with the huge Y on it. BYU is known for their high standards in academics, integrity, and morality. The campus has beautiful landscaping, the buildings are kept up nicely and are beautifully designed. The student housing is new and nice. Great place to go for further education.

Great university! Amazing value for the price and I liked how it included a religious education. I have many fond memories of lots of classes that I took (in the psychology and business departments). If you’re looking for a school with high moral and ethical standards, then this is the place for you.
On the other hand, BYU might not be for everyone, to be honest. There is a strict honor code that all students must live by to keep a good standing with the university.
While there is always some room for activism to change the university's honor code standards, BYU is a private university and may not be required to make such changes.
If you're looking for a university in Utah Valley that does not hold students to the same moral standard as BYU, then Utah Valley University may be a better place to look for an education.
At the end of the day, I think that this is a great place to study for anyone who is looking for academic rigor, a religious education, and a university that holds a high moral standard.
Oh, and if you like chocolate milk, there's a lot of that. And there are lots of nice mountains that are right behind the school.

I went to school here for my bachelor's of science in electrical engineering. I love the campus! It's so clean and beautiful. The rankings change and speak for themselves but I've realized that often it's even better than the national rankings. This is because this school is a undergrad teaching focused school. We don't have the large state funds of other schools for research but we have some of the finest education in the world!
Incredible! Best museum we've ever been to. The exhibits are superb. So much education, care, and attention to detail. Our young children loved it as well! Dinosaurs and how people lived thousands of years ago. Full exhibits. Very affordable gift shop as well! Heavily encourage visiting this magnificent place!

This is not the most impressive museum in the world. But it really is pretty darn good for a museum with a $6 adult ticket that you reasonably cover in an hour or less. We came while charging our car at the free DC fast charger in the parking lot. My kids absolutely ate it up.
Most kids will probably have more fun with the dinosaurs on the paleontology side. I did, too, to be quite honest. There are some good artifacts on display, but the anthropology wing of museum is quite a bit less cohesive in the story it wants to tell.
If you’re in Price, I’m sure you already know about the place. If you’re driving through, this is a great place for a fun break.

Wasn't too expensive under 20 for 4 of us (1 adult 3 kids) 2 floors with lots of cool displays. There was a Little souvenir shop it was not too bad, the only thing my kids really wanted from there was to flatten a penny in the hand cranked machine. Worth the stop.

Awesome place, two museums in one place.
Hall of Dinosaurs and Hall of Archeology
You need lots of time to explore everything on both sides.
Great for kids and adults.
Wonderful exhibits, lots of information.
We will return to explore and learn more.

Nice little museum. Tough to compare since we went to Smithsonians this summer.
This little museum was a lot of fun though. The kids loved the Native American exhibit.
A lot of the exhibits are original 1988 which is a little dated.
I loved the one where you could look at different artifacts with a magnifying glass. 60 years of science was the name of it.
The Dippy the dinosaur exhibit was very creative and bright.
The gift shop was a lot of fun and my kids wanted everything they saw.
One surprise was that it wasn't free. It was $17 for my family. Definitely affordable.
It is a fun stop when you're headed to Moab to let kids run around for a bit.

This was a great little museum in the heart of prehistoric Utah. The museum had 3 main sections: geology/Dinosaurs, art gallery, and Archeology. Not only were the exhibits interesting, but the kids play area was a hit with my little one. She played there for over an hour!
Admission was $6 for an adult. Kids 2 & under are free.

A wonderful experience at this museum! We stopped in Price overnight on our way back from Moab and visited this museum the following day. Reasonably priced admission, cheerful staff, and spent about 2 hours walking through exhibits. Many of the exhibits are unique, including the large dinosaur 🦕 on the top level, which also highlights the history of prehistoric appeal within the last century, detailed by various countries (greatly showcased). We’ve been to many Utah dinosaur museums located in all areas of the map, and this one offers a different perspective on prehistoric life. Definitely worth the stop! 😊😊😊

This place was nice! Lots of exhibitions and very informative if you are going through and want to check it out. We went on a Monday morning and you only pay $6 to get in.

This was a pretty interesting museum! The recommended route is to start off on the paleontology side, which will work your way chronologically through the history of the area. It starts off with rocks and minerals, progressing to the earliest forms of life when much of Utah was under water, moves on to dinosaurs, and then early human life focusing on the Fremonts. There is a section between the paleontology side and archeology side about the diplodocus, one in particular called "Dippy" that was very well preserved and went on quite the adventure. There was also a paleontology lab.
I think this museum has a bit a of something for everyone. The paleontology side has a kids corner for smaller children with a play area and books. There were a surprising number of things you were allowed to touch (fun for children and adults if you want to touch things). The displays had information that wasn't too scientific and I think would be understandable for older children.
There are bathrooms located downstairs and another set of bathrooms upstairs (both upstairs bathrooms were single occupancy). There are also charging stations for electric vehicles (they were not Tesla specific, they were Charge Point chargers). There are restaurants nearby, we ate a Greek place that Maps said was a 2 minute drive or a 6 minute walk.
To end, I do recommend this as a worthwhile stop with lots to learn about the history of the area. There were signs saying the museum was going to undergo a major overhaul, which I would certainly come back to see.

This is exactly what you’d expect in a museum which is run by a satellite university location in Price. However, that’s not to say we don’t enjoy it! We bring the kids here nearly every year and they like coming here. The admission and gift shop prices are much less expensive than say, Thanksgiving Point. The subjects of the displays include dinosaurs, mammoths and ancient native peoples. It has lots of interesting artifacts. There are also some interactive displays and a kids area. It is never crowded and makes for a great little day trip with kids if you’re coming from Utah County.

Wow, I cannot say ENOUGH how amazing CRATE was for my August 2018 trip. I've always wanted to raft the Grand Canyon and I couldn't imagine doing it without this family-owned company. From the amazing pre-trip orientation with Bonnie at our hotel in Vegas, the comfortable bus ride out to Fredonia and of course our ABSOLUTELY AMAZING Boat Captains, Walker, and Johnny Ringo, but our Swampers were out of this world too, Yendor, Nayr and Robbie. These folks made our trip truly life-changing, interesting, and fun from the minute we met them at the warehouse. Not ONLY were they completely patient with those on our trip who weren't used to rafting, but they answered every stupid question un-related to rafting that we had-about the animals, their personal lives, stars, planets, their best stories, nothing was off limits with them. Walker's knowledge and obvious passion for the river and his stewardship of the Colorado and the Canyon are apparent in every conversation and action. His ability to make you feel completely comfortable with him from the first minute you meet him, and to make the canyon feel as much like home to us as it is to him, is one that not many have. Johnny Ringo, well, if you've met the man then no explanation needed :D A great personality and hilarious, sometimes subtle, sense of humor and his obvious geology nerdery made his boat fun for all. The fact that he too embraces a costume at camp made us kindred spirits. Yendor, Nayr, and Robbie-the best swampers we could have asked for! Always willing to help, always willing to laugh and so helpful with all the things. The side trips, the waterfalls, the hikes, the out-of-this-world-couldn't-possibly-be-real views, the histories, the connection to place...all happened because of the care that CRATE puts into and behind their business. You know that it is a passion for them first and a business endeavor second. EVERY thought was taken care of: comfortable cots with sleeping pads/bags, ground cover, chairs with backs and MY GOD THE FOOD! I don't eat that well when I'm at home, never would have expected I would eat better/more while on a secluded river trip. There's not enough that I could say about this company, they are amazing in every sense of the word and I cannot wait to get back on to the river with them! And awaaaaaaaaay we go!

Fantastic trip down Desolation Canyon this July! Thanks to guides Phoebe, Max, Bela, Chase, and Dylan.
My car broke down on a Friday night, so I had to get a room down the interstate in Green River, UT, and I couldn't have been happier with a small town. As I was lucky to have the local mechanic help me out by getting my car back in the road that day, I still had a full day to see the town. Lucky for me the museum was right next door. For a $7 adult ticket, that is good for 7 days, I got to learn a lot about the town and surrounding area. I can't recommend the museum enough.

Great movie about the discovery voyage of Scott Wesley Powell on the Colorado river. Nice display about the course of the river, and the elevation at various points. The main exhibit included displays about the history of river rafting on the Colorado. Attractive gift shop. Easy access to the river. Entry fee was good for a week.
Did not include info about the historic Green River annual boat race, which was described by one of the locals.

We stopped in here during a road trip to let the kids stretch. We were not able to get inside as it was after business hours, but the restrooms were still open, clean, and easy access. There was plenty of informative displays outside to learn the local history. There is also river access, which my kids really enjoyed. Hope to stop when it's open next time so we can check out the inside.

More impressed than I expected to be. I learned a lot about the river running experience from Powell through today. We spent 2 hours. They have a well done movie that runs every 30 minutes. Watch it first then visit exhibits. We also enjoyed the displays on the outside deck while we waited for them to open. My favorite thing were the hall of fame stories, very interesting. Dinosaurs in the lower level will appeal to kids.

If you are a rafting fanatic, this is the place for you. Even if you are not a rafting fanatic, this has a great history of John Wesley Powel, and how he explored the Colorado river, and the surrounding history of that era. This museum is extra kid friendly and is equipped for large group tours. There is a really good 20-minute video available to watch in a little theater. Handicap accessible for the upstairs. I did not see wheelchair assesability for going downstairs to see the old wood boats.
Bathrooms are outside to the right.

Great stop along our drive. This museum is a full account of JW Powell's contributions to surveying the Colorado River basin. He had an extensive body of work for America to the point he even had commemorative coins in his honor. If you're looking for a stop to stretch your legs and learn a little something I would recommend this detour. There are also some dinosaur and Native American facts as well. Overall great little pit stop.

A nice, small museum that appears to still be under construction in certain parts. True to its name, it focuses primarily on the exploratory voyage of John Wesley Powell, a civil war veteran with a dream of charting the Colorado River past its known path. He took a crew of men and boated downriver, discovering all the way to the Grand Canyon and beyond. The museum covers this journey with a multitude of exhibits as well as a short film that the staff very kindly played for me in a theater upon request. There are some other exhibits detailing historical and geological facts about the surrounding region, and even an intriguing dinosaur section with actual skeletal specimens on display. While I wasn't a big fan of the $6 per adult entry fee, I can understand the need for funds considering it's a small museum in a small town that probably doesn't get a lot of visitors (during the entire hour and a half I was there, I was literally the only guest). All in all, it's worth a visit, especially if you have kids who enjoy learning.

The seasonal Island in the Sky Visitor Center, open from spring to fall, provides maps, books, backcountry permits and water to its visitors. Make sure to allocate extra time to visit the beautiful Antelope Island State Park if you have the chance. Skyscanner and Google Flights are highly recommended when looking for airfare as they offer excellent features such as price watching and email notifications.
Island in the Sky at Canyonlands National Park is well worth a trip to visit. The area has breathtaking views and everything is super accessible by car and very short hikes. Longer trails are available as well. Try to get to to Mesa Arch by sunrise on a clear day for a spectacular sight.

Helpful visitor center! The outdoor bathrooms are designed in a way that the smell is pushed out of the bathrooms so you don’t smell much inside the bathroom which is nice. When you first arrive at the visitor center, you’ll be struck by the outstanding view of the canyon with the La Sals in the background. It’s a striking visual that sets the tone for the rest of the trip to this portion of the park.
This center thankfully has water, which is great after a long day out on the trails.
Most importantly, the staff is extremely kind and competent. Usually I have an idea of what hikes to do when I visit a park, but I could only find info online and from friends about the Needles. A park ranger created a brilliant hiking itinerary that completely elevated my experience and boosted the park to being one of my favorites in the country.

The visitor center itself is very underwhelming. Especially for a popular National Park. There are just a few small dispalys and a small gift shop. There are no flushable bathrooms just bunch of pit toilets and a few covered picnic tables. The views somewhat make up for what the center is lacking. Just across the road is amazing views of the Canyon.

Beautiful views of canyons and desert! The only reason I did not give this five stars was because we mostly had cash and they would only take card in the gift shop until my wife went back in to talk to them.

Helpful staff and great gift shop. FYI You have to stop in and get a day pass if you want to take the dirt roads in the park. The Schaffer trail is definitely worth driving if you have a SUV.

We were able to see a film and relax. It's very inviting. Love the souvenir shop. Outside bathrooms are actually decent. And the view across the street is spectacular.

I love this visitor center! Cross the street and hike down a bit and you'll see a great view of what to expect. Great one to start a trip!

This Visitors Center has some really cool interactive geology displays. I was super impressed. They're educational but not text heavy. And just across the street from the center is such an amazing view of the canyons!

Nice National Park. Went to see the meteor impact crater (Upheaval Dome) and the overlooks. Requires a combination of hiking and driving to see each of the areas. Definitely recommend going early in the morning when it's cool. Hikes require some hiking over steep rocks and stairs. Bathrooms throughout the park. Park is split in three districts. I went to Island in the Sky and the Needles districts. I did not go to the third district as it's off road only. Island in the Sky is the best and most visited. Needles is okay. It only has two overlooks. However the drive into Needles was awesome and be sure to stop at Newspaper Rock to see the petroglyphs. There is a 90 minute drive between the two districts. Also, Dead Horse State Park is adjacent to the Island in the Sky District. Definitely a must see while visiting as it shows how the Colorado River impacts Canyonland. It cost $20 bucks to enter the state park.

Failry congested area a lot of times, but its a nice spot to stop before the main event. Maps and diagrams are available to look at, as well as items to purchase. Across the street has some amazing views to start at before working back into the park.

I wasn't sure what to expect from Canyonlands, but I didn't expect to be so impressed! The visitor center is very nice with informative displays and helpful rangers. Although I can't imagine doing any actual hiking at the park, the views are incredible! This is what I imagine the Grand Canyon must have looked like when it was younger.
