I love Gunnison been going for years & now I bring my husband with me. The people are always friendly & I just love the experience. It's a feeling unlike anything I've ever experienced being free & not being judged. I highly recommend joining us.

I went to Gunnison Beach on memorial day weekend 2022. Let's star with the parking. $20, you should park your vehicle at lot "G" for Gunnison.
It was my first time at a nude beach so it was a new experience for me.
I did not mind the 15min walk from the parking lot to the actual beach.
The beach was packed with people from all ages and backgrounds.
Clearly teenagers, people in their 20's 30's 40's 50's 60's . Seriously all ages. I would say 60% men and 40% women. Not to many food options so I recommend bringing your own food and drinks.
I had a great time, i would definitely go again.
It was 92 degrees and the water was just right 👍🏻.

Great, clean, and extremely non-judgmental. Love coming here on weekdays because it’s not too crowded. Be warned though, park rangers have begun patrolling and will stop and inspect your belongings to see if you’re smoking or have alcohol.
Michael Cox — Google review
Love that clothing is optional, but as far as beaches go, it's not the best. The parking lot is a pretty far walk to the beach. Water is dark. But location makes it worth the trip. It is the only nude beach around, and you can see Manhattan! And don't forget that national parks no longer accept national cash! Have plastic or electronic payment ready...
Sandy Beach — Google review
I always call a nude beach as the heaven on the Earth. This is one of those heavens for NJ and NY residents. The beach is wonderful and filled with lovely people walking, dancing, playing, reading, relaxing and being away from the city’s chaos. Opened to themselves, and people around, without having any boundaries of color, race, shapes, age and gender. This was our second experience to a nude beach after Haulover in Miami. I always regret coming here only once during my stay in US being so nearby.
Parking: the parking is free but you need to pay $25 as entry fee before entering the premises.
Restrooms: there are enough restrooms, changing area and showers close to all beach lots
Location: the nude beach is the farthest beach once you enter from the main gate
Good time to visit: Come around 12 or max by 2pm, the queue to the ticket counter can be longer beyond the usual. The beach closes by 8pm during Summer. We visited in the August. If you stay late you might see dolphins 🐬 near the shore. New York’s skyline at dark is another beautiful sight which you might not like to miss. Restrooms get locked by 7pm so make sure you finish your stuffs before then.

First time going ,it was so peaceful ,wanted to go for a few years and this was very enjoyable. The weather was amazing , first time having the chance to take clothes off to get an even Tan some sunburn to but it was worth it.. plan on going to this beach from now on ..plus the workers at the gate was very helpful showing where to go for fishing and the other beaches . I didn’t think I would be able to handle it being a person with heart problems.. the walk wasn’t that bad

Gunnison beach NJ it's a perfect place for people ,who like to swim in ocean by naked and feel air massage of your entire body!!😊
Beautiful place, clean and secure but a little crowded .
What can be better, then celebrate 35 years Anniversary on the Gunnison beach NJ!😊

This beach is wonderful. It's a bit of a walk and it definitely depends on where you park that determines how far your walk is, but it's worth it. My only advice is to arrive early to avoid traffic and get a good spot on the beach.
Sean James — Google review
I went today for the first time. It was actually pleasant. I didn’t feel uncomfortable. Everyone was super normal and respectful. It was just another day at the beach; just with a lot more freedom of course. I like sunbathing nude (no tan lines) so it was perfect for me.(= I will be going again.
Jennysaret Villar — Google review
It was a relaxing experience; when I first arrived to the beach years ago I was a bit nervous to strip and tan in the nude. Over the years I relaxed and actually felt one with the sand/ocean. Since moving away from the area I do miss the clear water and warm sand; one day I plan on returning to the NJ shore.
Dmitriy K. — Google review
The nude beach part was super fun to visit. It’s 20$ per person to enter unless you come during off season (before Labor Day or after Memorial Day), which was kinda expensive in my opinion but what are you going to do. You can be fully clothed if you want or completely naked, nobody is judging at all. I was, as a women, nervous abt creepy men but they were all very respectful. No disrespectful looks or leering at all in my experience which made me feel very comfortable. It’s mostly people 30 and above but there were some early 20s adults. Would definitely recommend visiting if you’re in the area since it’s the only nude beach anywhere in the tri state area that I know of.
C. Estelle — Google review
I did not come here for the clothing optional beach, but rather for the nice views of New York City and Long Island, which this offers, as well as North Beach. I liked the fact that ships were constantly going by as well. The winds were rather strong and washed up a lot of rubbish from the City, but it all collected on the upper side of the dunes, so it’s not too big of an issue. A lot of fishermen congregate on the top of the spot near where it meets the bay, and it’s nice for walking. Would recommend a visit either from the City or anywhere nearby. Cheers.
Kyle Hartmann — Google review
Nice. Been going here several years, but ... there's too many creepers who make it conspicuously obvious they're creeping. I don't need to explain, it's very elementary to understand and know when you see one. They don't even try to hide being awkward
Dougie Rhoads — Google review
Nice beach , a lot people , not dogs allow .
Police always around , checking everything is fine .
Great atmosphere , this is a nude beach so probably you will see people naked .
Big space for parking
Great place for bicycles

Clean, safe, parking is a decent walk so pack lightly, maybe 60% men / 40% women, younger & older, me… BRING AN UMBRELLA & SUNSCREEN 💯☀️🍑⛱️🏖️
The Staten Island Zoo is popular for its variety of animals including reptiles. The zoo is small and easy to get to making it perfect for families with young children. Admission is free after 2 pm on Wednesdays.
Very nice zoo in the middle of the neighborhood. Many places to sit, indoor exhibits, place to eat or bring your own food and eat at the picnic tables.
charles ciccolella — Google review
Nice, small zoo with reptilian exhibits. The children's section has Chuck, the groundhog who was hiding. There's a lovely aquarium section, a small fox section. (They are smaller than I expected.) A really good place to bring children. They have free admission on Wednesdays.

I recently visited the Staten Island Zoo and had a fantastic experience, discovering that it’s a place to admire animals from afar and an interactive haven for kids and adults.
The diverse range of animals and well-maintained exhibits made the day truly enjoyable. One delightful surprise was the opportunity to feed ponies and alpacas, adding an extra layer of hands-on fun to the experience.
The educational programs and animal presentation were entertaining and informative, making it a perfect outing for families. The zoo’s commitment to conservation and animal welfare shone through in their effort to create naturalistic habitats.
The beautifully landscaped grounds and interactive exhibits make Staten Island Zoo a great destination. It was heartwarming to see the care and attention given to both the animals and the visitors.
Overall, the Staten Island Zoo offers a memorable and delightful day out, combining education, conservation, and interactive experiences that make it a must-visit.

I saw a review on yelp or something that said "it's the largest small zoo ever" or something like that, the person was right! You know it's small going in but it doesn't feel small when you go around. They've They've maximized their space and put of a lot of interesting creatures in there. Even though some were asleep it was very cool to see some things I've never seen before...and I've been to plenty of zoos in my lifetime. They've got animals from a lot of different continents - North and South America, Africa, and Asia...can't recall if they've got from Europe and Australia. Definitely none from Antarctica so no penguins or anything like that but don't worry, you don't miss them! They also have a nice outdoor space, a lot of flowers and trees, it feels like you're walking through a park. I really loved this visit! Also, the price is fantastic! $10 adults, $6 kids! Oh, very important to note - entrance is on clove road not on Broadway!
La Tisha Parkinson — Google review
The zoo is fun for all ages and the food court have great prices and the food was fresh and taste good. The reason why it's a three star because almost half of the exhibits were not available or the animal was not there.
Yewande Dawodu — Google review
Price is only 10 bucks per person babies are free. The place is kinda small but for that price it's perfect really. I was looking for a small zoo for my toddlers to last in and enjoy and not get restless on a super long day. This was perfect for my littles lot of indoor snakes and lizards so at least they didn't have to be in the sun all day. There was a little spot to pet and feed sheep goats horses. You have to pay at the gate to go in the goat area to feed and brush them but I didn't do that because having a 1 and 2 year old I figured they would be a bit scared that close to a animal 😆 over all with stopping and even taking the kids in and out we spent 2 hours there you can def do it quicker but there was cute lil photo spots for the kiddos and we just took our time and enjoyed the day!
Zoraida Rivera — Google review
Really nice small zoo. The bats exhibit was very cool and a must see! My toddler was fascinated by them. It's great all the indoor areas are easily accessible for strollers or little toddlers while also being nice enough for teens/kids.
Melissa Diller — Google review
A lot packed into this smaller sized zoo.
Indoor exhibits are well laid out and interesting. Smaller kids area is charming, there's also a carousel ride. A venerable Staten Island memory for generations of children.
V Tancredi — Google review
This was amazing!!! Very clean and the staff are very nice. The zoo is decently big and has a lot to look forward to. Personally I would give it 7 stars.
Jayden Lau — Google review
Thr Staten Island Zoo was a wonderful experience and has a lot of unique exhibits and educational opportunities to offer! The zoo is complete with a cafe which has a nice selection of American cafe food, with plenty of outdoor and indoor spaces to eat. This zoo would be a great visit for children, especially to learn about different animal habitats and conservation efforts. It is also a great visit during the day for adults too! I would recommend a visit if looking for places to go in Staten Island, as the zoo has a lot to offer for it's smaller size!

We had our daughter's first birthday party here yesterday and had a blast! We celebrated in their outdoor pavilion. We were nervous about being outdoors in the summer (not a fan of the heat) but its a covered pavilion with fans in the ceiling. We loved our animal specialist, Victoria. She was so kind and patient with our guest both children and adults. We go to see and pet a turtle, a chinchilla and a snake. We ordered the pizza (which was surprisingly really good) that came with the party. We also ordered extra chicken tenders, 2 orders of fries and mac and cheese balls. We had more than enough food. We could have ordered half as much. We had about 37 guests. The party also came with a carousel ride which was fun! But be warned, it was the fastest carousel I've ever been on! I can see why Victoria warned suggested we do it before we eat.
The only negative thing is that I wish we had more time. We were having so much fun that the 2 hours really flew by. We did the 2-4 slot but the zoo closes at 4:45. After we cleaned up, there wasnt any time left to walk around. And of course some my guest were late (which can be expected with families with children) so they missed most of it. I think 3 hours would be perfect!
Also, you should know that peococks roam around in this zoo and they will come say hi! Lol. But they mostly stood away and were easy to shoo away when they got close.
Christina Ferdinand — Google review
The Staten Island Zoo is a nice and cosy place to visit with your little ones. The place is nicely set up and offers a cute set of animals. Placing a predator right next to the lemurs scared the living daylights out of us, since the alarm call of the lemurs is extremely loud. This must be quite stressful for visitors and both kinds of animals. Otherwise, it's a nice little zoo.
Carl Puhl — Google review
This zoo is the perfect size. Just enough to see and enjoy. Went 1 time and after that, enjoyed it so much, got a yearly membership. My son loves this place so much we just renewed for a 2nd year.
Jack’s Ausome World — Google review
It is small but so many wonders around each corner. I highly recommend especially with kids.
Steffryz — Google review
We had a wonderful visit. Although the grounds are smaller than most zoos, from the minute you enter through the gates you are in a different world. The design is first class. At all times you believe you are far away at an exotic destination.
Both the indoor and outdoor areas are well-maintained - no distracting litter or signs of aging or need of repair. Among the indoor exhibits are a "reversed" day area, where through the use of lighting bats are made to think it is nighttime and are active for us to enjoy.
The huge tropical fish are very enjoyable - you can even catch your reflection in the window and feel like you are swimming with the fishes.
The cafeteria was well-kept and a variety of condiments abundantly available. And best of all, there is free, fenced-in parking across the street, adjacent to the entrance on Clove Road.
churchroad11220 — Google review
Love this cute little zoo! We love to go feed the animals and especially hang out at the petting zoo. Some of the sheep there aren’t the friendliest, but on of the volunteers named Sarah calmed the animals down. I got to pet the ‘meanest’ sheep named George! He’s gorgeous and honestly pretty sweet. Not for little kids or men though- he doesn’t like them.
Cara — Google review
The zoo is small but perfect for tired adults like me who don't feel like walking around all day. Of course it's nothing compared to our Philly Zoo but I thought the lay out and the look from the outside really doesn't tell you just how many animals they have. I can't wait to go back and try the kiddie koral. We got there closer to closing time and did everything but that. Also it's very relaxing and has a positive atmosphere.
This was absolutely the best on the water experience I’ve had in New York City and I’m from here. You really don’t realize as a New Yorker how beautiful of a state you live in until you see it from a different perspective. Land or taking off from NYC looks good but there’s something about seeing her from the water that makes her much more breath taking. The level of customer service I received while aboard the SeaStreak ferry was phenomenal, and the food and drinks are reasonably priced. I don’t really see anyone really running up a tab here unless you have a large group with you. The ride to and from bear mountain was a smooth as can be the crew worked swiftly and efficiently to ensure a timely departure and arrival.
Junior Gordon — Google review
We hadn’t been on the fail foliage cruise in years. Many impressive improvements. The digital ticket collection sped up loading the boat dramatically. The crew was very nice accommodating and made the trip a great time for our family. Along with the beautiful scenery the guy narrating the cruise was informative and hilarious.. I highly recommend this trip. Recommend that you bring a snack for yourselves and the kids.
Thank you SeaStreak

Love my daily commute!! Also, I must say the new Cafe Ladeda...set up in the terminal is a win win!! Delicious treats and coffee..how can you go wrong..thanks so much for setting that up saves me time on my commute! Staff is always a pleasure!

We decide to rent a car in new Jersey, minimize the packing of stuff and avoid the Lincoln tunnel....the seastreak is not cheap but is very comfortable, fast, has restaurants and coming back to Manhattan was a breeze. The only thing is getting in and out of the ferry could be improve. You can not buy tickets online, but the tickets are good for long time i do not remember if is 60 or 90 days .. it is very easy to get an Uber when you land, there are some restaurants walking distance and the ferry has a stop in sandy hook.

I went on the Hudson wine tour trip. Unfortunately it was raining as we left Belford, but we had a very good tour guide to keep us engaged.
The first winery was very good. Long tables under a large tent, five glasses of wine poured at each place setting, pizza was served and it was plentiful. I thought a strange pairing to a wine tasting, strong flavors, acidic tomatoes, but I’m open minded. Beautiful scenery, rain stopped and it was a good time.
The second winery was a little less organized and we had some confusion figuring out the numbered stations. What was the point? No one explained.
All in all, it was fun. Great apples for
the taking.
I’ve been taking Seastreak Fall Tours for about 6 years. It’s relaxing, and usually interesting. Love Cold Spring, Bear Mountain and West Point. Always bring friends and family along. Will definitely be going again! Thanks Seastreak for offering these trips. Thanks for a clean boat (always) and a safe journey.

We had bought a pack of off-peak ferry tix way way back in Feb 2020. Yes, right before the pandemic. We weren't going into Manhattan for a long time. We heard the other day that those tickets, which expired in 60 days, were no longer valid. I was expecting trouble when we went to the tix office in Atlantic Highlands. But the woman there was very pleasant and essentially gave us a new pack of tix, pretty much the same deal. It was very very good service. THANKS!

we took our first Whale Watch with Seastreak the other day and it was GREAT! everything was on time and according to schedule ... we saw a few humpbacks - they were beautiful (of course!) and a LOT of dolphins! lots! It was a beautiful site with NYC in the backround, then out to sea a little further , looking over at Sandy Hook and the beachline.. Beautiful. I'd give 5 stars, but it did seem a bit "crowded' - I wasn't sure, if during the pandemic they limited #s of people at all - there were a LOT of young kids and adults - who got a bit "roudy" (there is an onboard bar available) ... I think I would have LOVED a smaller crowd. But it's a BIG boat and there was space for everyone, just seemed like there were a lot of people (and yes, it was late summer - things finally opening up, etc...)
I can't wait to try one of their fall tours- I never knew about this amazing place in my own "backyard"!
if you're whale watching - bring a good lens - a big one! by law you need to be a certain distance from the whales (watch for tours that don't do this - it's ILLEGAL!) - we're in THEIR home, THEIR waters. Seastreak did a great job keep it's distance, but allowing everyone to get a good view from the decks. The naturalist onboard was helpful in giving info and directions about sightings and the types of whales and wildlife in the area. Be sure to get there on time and early too! Staff is very friendly and helpful too!

Great trip! Run very efficiently. Sure, the school bus was a bit late, but we got to the first winery and they had the samples waiting and brought the pizza. The next place was set up for no line easy sampling.

At the end of the trip coming from New York Terminal to Nj capitan provided an amazing close up experience with Statue of Liberty it was an uplifting and exciting. Trip was great ferry was clean and staff really friendly.

It was a wonderful experience! I took the Milton winery cruise with friends and we thoroughly enjoyed it! You get great photo ops on the cruise and when you return of the NYC night lights. The only issue was the ship’s bathrooms all went out of service, which is not great after drinking so much wine, but I still will recommend this trip.
Vonette D. — Google review
Visiting family in highlands and having never been to NYC, this was the easiest way to get there and check it out. Easy relaxing ride over to NYC easy to be picked up by Uber or lyft from the ferry terminal at either port.

Lovely relaxing scenic ride up the Hudson River with lots of viewing options on deck or inside. Tour guide was really great with details and history of Manhattan. It's a great scenic tour worth the money.
The Mills at Jersey Gardens is a popular shopping destination that offers discounted luxury brands such as Saks OFF 5TH and Neiman Marcus Last Call, as well as a cinema. Despite being crowded during the holiday season, visitors can enjoy the mall's two-story layout with an upstairs food court and ample parking. The mall boasts an extensive range of stores including NIKE, Puma, Foot Locker, Burlington, Uggs, Adidas and more.
A beautiful mall with an abundance of great stores...NIKE, Puma, Foot Locker, Burlington, Uggs, Adidas and more. There's an amazing toy store with life size characters inside for the Dragon Ball Z fans. There's a food court upstairs. Free parking. Mass transit buses are available also.

This year I put 4 stars, because the first time I bought almost nothing. many things, but really nothing good. there was a sale at Disney, my favorite store for both children and adults, I always buy something.
Big Parking lots.
Food court on the second floor.

The absolute shopping heaven for clothing and sporting goods.
Massive mall and outlet with good entertainment and food offerings.
Great parking.
Almost all the brands can be found under one roof. Just be prepared for long walk from shop to shop... There are plenty of bargains to be found.
Ideally try and avoid busy weekends to avoid the crowds as the place is popular (for good reasons).

Large mall, Loads of variation in shops, some great bargains. Can't believe how many people actually wear crocs with socks whilst walking about🤦🏽♂️🤯🤣 plenty of food places, we come across from NYC used the direct 111 bus from the NYC port authority to the mall, there's a bus every hour.

For those of us coming from France, this shopping center is quite large, with clear directions for easy navigation and finding a store.
The staff is highly skilled, young, and friendly.
The prices and quality are simply breathtaking.
Public transportation access is regular, making it very easy to reach whether you're coming from NYC or elsewhere.

The mall is large but you still won’t find there every store you would like to visit. The food option are here plenty but they are in the end all the same, higher prices and unhealthy food.
Petr Kone?n? — Google review
Huge mall with a lot of the known stores such as Nike, Levis, Adidas, Gap, Vans etc.. good selection and prices. The Levis store for example had a 50% off on the second item which makes it a really good deal.
The mall itself is wide and easy to navigate, with a food court and toilet.

With so much available space it's a shame not to have lockers to store shopping bags, it is one of the most convenient options for malls like this unless you rather people pop in buy from one store and just leave.
If you are expecting people spend time you need to think of providing convenient services specifically considering geographic location of you at Newark there are many visitors whom do not drive and do not have the option to store their shopping bags inside their cars

Jersey Garden is always good to visit during the holidays. Mall gets crowded during the holidays but that's the fun of shopping in holidays. Hugh parking lot with AMC theater next to it if you want to watch movie. You will find all the type of stores in this mall. Mall has two stories and food court is upstairs.
Ashish Satyabhashak — Google review
It's a big shopping mall with everything you want/need inside. Prices are usually good and they have nice discounts. All types of fast-foods and caffees are present so you have a lot to choose from. Also if you require good internet connection I think the AT&T area has the best one.

This mall is massive with many options to choose from what you could buy here, there is a nice food court with many options. The vibe here is nice to go strolling even if not buying anything as there is still plenty to see and get inspiration from purchases that could be for the future. There are some stores that offer services rather than goods too.

The visit to the mall combined with our stay in New York. Very pleasant mall, with great shops and offers. It's still pleasant first thing in the morning at 10 a.m. After that it gets more crowded, but still bearable. It was great to have lots of seating, some of which were also great for charging your cell phone and waiting. Oasis with various diners, whether Italian, Chinese, burgers, fries, good selection. The restrooms are clean and well maintained.

People we know made recommendations to shop Jersey Gardens for a prom dress. It was a Very Busy Sunday afternoon. The Mall Staff was pleasant and professional. The Restrooms were Filthy. The Store Staffs were overwhelmed by the crowds. Based upon the customer service received in the individual stores - we were left with no other choice than to continue our search elsewhere - and eventually bought the MOST GORGEOUS dress for our Loved One in NY. The Staff had the time to be far more attentive - and gave us many options to choose from. The dress was reasonably priced and looked flawless.

Massive mall filled with every store imaginable. Easy access by bus although the bus stop is a little farther away from the main entrance than I would like. Decent amount of seating with couches between shops to hang out and take a break from the shopping.

Doesn’t feel like a traditional outlet which is go because you can come here when the weather isn’t great. There are some good deals to be found here. Come when they first open to avoid the crowds. Only complaint is that the elevators are a little hidden.

Vast mall with too many brands and franchises. Always clean and safe. I feel secure when sometimes I see local law enforcement offices with canines securing the safety of the shoppers. Sometimes, mostly weekends and holidays, you won't find a spot to park.
Just a very clean and nice place with friendly faces.

It's also the only beach on Jersey Shore where dogs can accompany their owners during off-season months. Additionally, Sunset Lake Memorial Park honors Asbury Park's war veterans and is located just two blocks from the boardwalk.
Well known spot but a nice secret to take a family and relax for the day or more . I went with my children and was an amazing time. We at at the TV famous Cousins lobster 🦞 had lobster rolls to die for !! Also ice cream next door. Like all the best parts of OC and AC together in one without the gambling and smoke around .... recommended for a future visit for anyone.

It was a very nice day in Asbury today. There was a Lobster Race going on, not real lobsters, but people running or walking a 5K to raise money to help protect and restore the shore. There was a band playing on the boardwalk. There were some places to eat on the boardwalk, but not everything was open yet. I think this is the only beach on the Jersey Shore that dogs are permitted on the boardwalk during the off season, Sept. 15- May 15. Sunset Lake Memorial Park is two blocks from the boardwalk. It's a tribute to the men and women of Asbury Park who served in their country's Armed Forces in time of war. You need to pay for parking on the street year-round, but parking lots are free off season.

When Eleanor was little, I would book hotel rooms along the Jersey shore so she could take afternoon naps while the big kids kept playing under their father's supervision. During those years, we experimented with different towns that had various mixtures of kid and adult activities. Eventually, we settled on Asbury Park as having the perfect combination to occupy everyone in our family. On our last trip, we stood on the boardwalk listening to live music being performed at the Stone Point venue across the street.

It was my first time visiting to Asbury Park Boardwalk and I immediately noticed how different this boardwalk is from typical Jersey shore one. Closest comparison would be with Coney Island boardwalk in Brooklyn: vibe, smell and spirit of these places are similar. Maybe because both are historical with bunch of food options on the boardwalk, certainly both places use same wooden planks for cover.

My pictures are in different seasons- Both sides evaluated…. Sunny Pics- If you love tons of people around, loud music and a busy beach, great place to go and a lot to do May through Sept. do you like the quiet atmosphere with a great walk and great views? Come in Late Sept to March. I would suggest parking in Ocean Grove (next town) and walk around town first to look at the houses, then walk their boardwalk to Ashbury Park. Nice place to take pictures, get your steps, take in the nice sea air. I recommend going both season!

Love Asbury Park all year long!
Great beach for the summer!
Lots of murals to enjoy all year long.
There are featured art installations throughout the year!
There is always something new to enjoy here!
Variety of restaurants to enjoy cocktails and food!
You can enjoy your typical boardwalk treats ice cream and funnel cakes! During the summer.
Metered street parking.
Public restrooms available.

Asbury Park boardwalk is probably the most famous boardwalk of the whole NJ. Bruce Springsteen & Don Bon Jovi cut their teeth at the nearby Stone Pony.
This was where the well heeled crowds flocked to in the summer, until the Parkway was built & changed everything. It fell into disrepair in the 70s & 80s, but is burgeoning once again, thanks to the artist community, micro-breweries & famous chefs opening shop there.
In short, if you don't know Asbury Park and the Bohemian, equally charming Ocean Grove, then you don't know the Jersey Shore.

Saint Patrick’s Day parade and the place was jumping. It was cold, but warm in the sunshine. Who doesn’t love a parade?! High school bands showing their talents, VFW’s, soldiers, mummers, bagpipes all in one place celebrating in green and white!!

It’s a great boardwalk if you’re in central jersey. There are restaurants that have good food and a small carnival that always goes on there.
Great place to run and/or take a walk. Also the beach is nice and clean and have access to all the amenities required.
Parking gets crazy sometimes. Even getting in and out is a hazzle.
And the entrance to the beach is $9 for adults over the weekend.

MUST GO BEFORE 9AM AND PARKING IS FREE, this is a great place to walk, bike and walk the dog, go extra early, I would go from 6am to 9am, because parking is free up to 9am and we rode our bikes all the way to Belmar, so much fun, riding next to the ocean!

I always enjoy the Variety of things to do here. You can just walk on the boardwalk, go shopping, lay on the beach, go swimming in the ocean, take your kids to the sprinkler park, eat at a nice restaurant, or get a satisfying snack, a refreshing drink, and so much more. Enjoy every minute. 😁

Love coming here early in the morning and walking the boardwalk. It's so peaceful and serene. The old architecture of Convention Hall against the majesty of the ocean, sun rising above the horizon just brings a sense of zen.
During the day, it's a fun, busy place with great eats and views. The beach can get a bit crowded, but it's well worth coming and checking out.

Although we didn't come here for the purpose of the beach, I had never visited Asbury Park and we were close enough for me to check out the infamous boardwalk. So many fun options for food, treasures and even a cool arcade. It almost felt like I was in the past, seeing the well loved exterior eroded by ocean air. While we didn't step onto the beach, the sand looked clean and well kept as people played with volleyballs and kids ran around. It was a very relaxed environment! My favorite part (of course) was taking photos of the incredible art that's been proudly displayed on the walls of the abandoned area of boardwalk. It was like walking a free outdoor art museum. If you're in the area and have the time to stop off and check the art out I highly recommend! Looking forward to going back for more exploration when we have the time to spend.

Even though it was out of season (October) and very overcast, the view was stunning and there was plenty to keep us busy. The history and restoration of the old Convention Center and the art installations were enough to occupy our afternoon.

The Asbury Park beach and boardwalk of today are not the same ones I knew growing up. Today they are full of businesses, beachgoers, foodies and people who just want to enjoy the sounds of the waves. The boardwalk has been refurbished, and there are many new restaurants and hotels. In addition, to famous landmarks like the Stone Pony where Bruce Springsteen got his start. The boardwalk itself is rather accessible, it could get bumpy at times. There is access to the beach as you can see in some of the photos. However, it only will let you go halfway to the water. This is great for a day trip, or a weekend trip so long as you don't stay too close to the beach as the hotels are rather pricey. Head on out and enjoy yourself!

This is an iconic boardwalk well worth a visit. It has a special vibe, at least to me. It's hayday has long past and it's second coming has yet to fully arrive, but it is getting there. I love visiting anytime of year.
Parking is a major negative, especially during summer. They run the meters year round. In winter, I'll park in Ocean Grove and walk over.
The Silverball Retro Arcade is a vintage-inspired gaming destination located on the boardwalk. It features a diverse collection of pinball machines spanning from the 1930s to present day, making it an enjoyable experience for all ages. In addition to its impressive array of games, the arcade also offers a snack bar for guests' convenience. They even have extended hours that cater to night owls seeking some old-school gaming fun.
Right on the boardwalk. So many great unique games from the 50s to 2000s. Pay to get in and the games are free. If you like pinball you need to come here. Pizza ain’t bad either. No joke.

A wave of nostalgia! Just an unreal collection of video games/pinball, and unique & rare games. All in excellent condition, this place cares… anyone complaining about a few out of order games has no idea what it takes to maintain an arcade of this calibre.
Super grateful it’s not one of those “arcades” that only puts in gambling style ticket games to win cheap novelty prizes.
This place is for everyone who grew up with so many of these games, and the younger generations too! Everyone will have fun.
Our group picked up a whole day pass for $20 each which was really smart because it allows you to leave and hang out on the boardwalk so you can come and go as you please.
Totally worth it!!

What a great way to spend some time and have some fun.. plus It is a great history lesson at the same time. The admission prices are spot on and the 1/2 day entry gives you plenty of time to play. We also love the re-entry policy allowing you to step away for something to eat or to grab a drink and then return for more fun.

Fun time here no matter the age! They have snacks🥨🍿🌭🍫🍬 available and are situated right on the boardwalk. My child had a party🥳🎉🤩 here several years ago and was a hit 🎯for the kids AND the parents! Would love to know if there's an adult night?! Some machines need a leveling to balance them. It is so much fun, affordable to all for an hour or several hours to try them all‼️😊🎈

This is a great place to stop by and enjoy yourself. I like the way that you pay a one time fee and you get to play all the retro games you want(no quarter😱). I went in the afternoon on a Saturday, paid $20.00 and was there for 5 hours. Definitely worth giving this place a try.

We came here for Mother's Day with my mother-in-law, and we had a blast. The pinball machines range from the 1960's through to today! It's amazing to see how technology has evolved, but how the game has remained mostly the unchanged for so long. Would definitely recommend stopping in for a few hours to really get a good play on all of the games!

Best arcade I have ever been to. Pay $20 for all you can play hours of entertainment on retro games from every decade. Super fun.

Silverball Retro Arcade was so much fun! The entry tickets were very reasonably priced considering you could just move from game to game and play anything you want. It was fairly crowded and I was still able to get to all of the games I wanted too. We grabbed a hot dog and pizza as well and the pizza was much better than any I've ever had at an arcade. I wish I lived closer so I could come back!

I love this place it's a perfect addition to the boardwalk. It's fun and educational the games work and above each one is the history of it. I found it very unique out of any other arcade that features vintage games and pinball. If you're in Asbury this is definitely the place to visit

We were there today, entry was $20 per person and it was like traveling through time. The weather was horrible and it's the off-season, but you can get lost in the best of ways with the pinball and video game collection. Just posting a photo of my all-time favorite machine, which I enjoyed today for the first time in decades. Thank you for preserving the past and incorporating the current as well - The Godfather pinball machine was also a blast!!

Did the 6 hour deal. Well worth it. All machines were up and running. Stuff from the late 1950s to 2000s. Punball and various video and arcade games. Really cool place and within walking distance to a couple bar/ restaurants.
Bob Vogt — Google review
Coming from a moderate pinball enthusiast, this place is incredible. They have a vast selection of some of the most iconic and interesting pinball machines, as well as a few classic arcade games as well. Pinball machines are notoriously difficult to maintain, but the staff here does a stellar job at keeping them in working order.
There is a snack bar/small dining area, which isn't particularly special but it does add a level of old-school charm.
I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. Even if you only have a passing interest in the game.

Took my 2 adult children here and they loved it! I think it may have been the first time they played actual pinball machines. This place is great and is right on the Asbury Park boardwalk so you can’t beat the view. I love how each machine has its history above it. You can play skee ball, air hockey, old school video games and of course pinball machines. It’s a one time entrance fee and then you can play without quarters. They have a snack bar but I didn’t really check it out. They also have space to have parties. So much fun! #karmelknockingaround

One of our new favorites! Pinball machines and video games galore and from more decades than any arcade I've been to before or ever heard of. The pinball machines (maybe it was all machines) have plaques with the year it was first produced and other interesting facts like how many were made! One pinball machine called Knockout, dated back to 1950 and it works! They also have a food concession with good pizza, hot dogs, etc. (though I wish they had at least one vegetable on the menu).
I think they're open year-round.

Went for a father son day trip. Everything is so well-maintained and it’s fascinating to play the games. They explain each one at the top with some interesting trivia and information about the design etc.. The staff was top shelf also and incredibly helpful. Would highly recommend.
Ocean Grove Beach is a family-friendly destination with wide, shallow waters and a lengthy boardwalk that offers stunning views and accessibility for strollers. Visitors can enjoy swimming, paddleboarding, surfing, boogie boarding, floating and other water sports. Moreover, unique activities like beach tennis are also available at the sand court set up between Main and Middle Beach.
A lovely beach town with a very unique history. I strongly recommend researching its past before visiting. You will appreciate it more. Going down to the beach on a warm-ish February day was invigorating. The beach was very clean, which many are not this time of year. It was not crowded, which was an added bonus. It’s a terrific place. Go visit.

Ocean Grove is nestled between Bradley Beach and Asbury Park Beach. It's only a small area of beach with beautiful Victorian homes. I was there on a Friday afternoon, not even the summer crowd, and there were not many available parking spots. There weren't many people on the beach so I guess they were walking around town. The center of town is two blocks from the boardwalk with restaurants and shopping stores and all parking spots were taken. Ocean Grove motto is "God's Square Mile At The Jersey Shore" and there is a little chapel on the boardwalk where masses are held and summer concerts. People were in the chapel praying. This is a religious town with a unique history. Two blocks from the boardwalk is the Great Auditorium, which was built in 1894. It's a huge building where they do masses and concerts. Some of the original tents from early 1900s are still there. Fun Fact: For religious reasons, until as recently as 1980, Ocean Grove "Blue Laws" were in effect that prohibited driving cars, riding bikes, swimming or selling tobacco on Sundays. Ocean Grove residents parked in neighboring Asbury or Bradley Beach so they could use their cars on Sundays. Even now the beach is closed on Sundays until noon all summer as you are supposed to be in church. Also, Ocean Grove is a "Dry Town" not allowing the sale of alcohol. There's not much to do at the beach, but relax and maybe read about the history of Ocean Grove. Otherwise, if you have children there isn't much more to entertain them other than the two small concession stands on the beach.

Beautiful long beach with waves and lots of street parking during summer. But it's hard to find parking as lots of people visit the beach. Book online through their app and you can enter for anywhere. The beach is very clean. Even if it gets crowded the beach is quite long so you can always find space. The crowd is where the most waves are.

Wonderful shore point. Beach is very clean. Entrance area of the beach has bathrooms, showers, and changing areas.
There’s even a food hut on the beach that serves hot food which is beyond convenient.
Street parking isn’t too bad but the streets are a little tight.

Could have been 5 stars, but the app to get a day pass was truly a waste of time and completely unnecessary. Zelle? Venmo? Or if you're going to ask people to use this app, then make sure it works well. Aside from that, it's a beautiful beach and the town is just as lovely.

Enjoyed our visit to Ocean Grove beach with the little one. The beach is pristine and peaceful, though the waves can be strong (which I appreciate). We were fortunate with parking, landing a spot right by the beach – be warned, parking can be challenging. Unlike Asbury Park, shops aren’t immediately by the beach, so expect a walk for food.

Hold a birthday party here for our 4 years old son yesterday. It was a lot of fun and everybody was super happy. The place is large and have a lot of different things for kids to play and vey clean too. Since it makes the kids busy, parents can relax quite a bit as well. It’s very baby safe/kids safe and patents can just always find chairs nearby. The birthday party was really nice arranged and we don’t need to worry about anything at all: we played with our kids and chatted with our guests. Overall, it’s totally a blessing to have the birthday party here.

We spent all morning and a good part of the afternoon with the kids here. The had a lot of fun. Good for younger kids. I feel like kids older than 7 might get bored fast. 3-5 is probably the sweet spot. There are a few climbing playsets and a bunch of other themed areas like art, music, groceries, etc. There is also a cafe with pretty decent food. I wish the facility were a little bigger but otherwise I was very happy.

Nice play space with lots of different activities for a range of age groups. We went early on a Sunday morning, as soon as they opened and had the whole place empty until an hour or so when more people came in.
Loved the grocery store setup, art setups, the music room, and fire station the best. Some of the toys could do with an upgrade to generally look newer, but overall a great experience for toddlers.

We recently celebrated my son's birthday at Imagine That Children's Museum and the experience was exceptional. Imagine That offers a fantastic package for children's parties, taking care of every detail so parents can relax and enjoy the celebration alongside their little ones. Both the kids and parents had such a fantastic time with the themed activity which included dancing, parachute play, and a mini obstacle course for the toddlers to run around. The best part was having everything from decorations to food taken care of certainly made for an stress-free and enjoyable celebration. I cannot thank the staff enough for making my son's day super special and memorable. I would highly recommend this indoor playground for your kids to visit or for future birthday events. We cannot wait to return for more fun times together.

This place was great for 3-4hr of play with the kids. There is more to do for older kids 3yo and above, but there is definitely areas that younger kids will also enjoy. They have people going around tidying toys. I wish there was some sanitizing going on though.
My son loved the fire truck, doctor office station and the pirate ship. The costumes they have really make for a nice experience.
They have a kitchen onsite with a nice variety of foods for the whole family. This allowed us to spend more time there too.
We had a great time and will definitely be back!

As we arrive, we couldn’t believe on our eyes. This place is heaven for toddlers like my daughter to much older kids. We stayed for well over 4hs. Mila was screaming of excitement, exploring and learning from the other kids. There Are so many things to do, so much to explore, play, touch, sense. It’s a gem. The owners are so kind too. I’m even considering the membership. Food there also great, and there’s space for birthday parties with their own catering. I wouldn’t think twice, stop choosing and go there. I swear by this place. Thanks for existing!!!!!!! 🖤

Not worth the price for what’s there! My two children spent around 50 minutes in this glorified mall play area—that’s what it is, don’t you dare call it a children’s museum. It’s messy and very chaotic, especially when they allow a bus load of summer camp kids in with regular families visiting. It is one large room with several little stations, many of which are essentially things you may have at home for your kids: a Melissa & Doug play table, a little tykes kitchen, etc.I’d suggest paying a few extra dollars and going to the Crayola Experience ($24.99 per person) in Easton, PA or even going to the Bucks County children’s museum ($8 per person). You will get a far better —and longer—experience for your money.

It's a big good space with many train tables, game tables, climbings and others but they need to maintain it better. The toys and equipment look old, a bit dusty and outdated. I would give 3.5 stars. And go back but they should replace some of the toys and clean the floors better.

First visit, my child was invited to a birthday party at this location.
I almost thought I was lost getting there as this place is deep in a corporate office park, near no other retail shops.
It’s a cool place for younger kids, mine is 5. There’s lots of space to run around and free explore. Quite a few unique learn/play activities.
At the entry you are welcomed by the front desk attendant who check you into the birthday party group your visiting, there are multiple party rooms. If you bring a gift you will be directed to these small open top train cars with the birthday child name written in chalk in the side, you can leave the gifts in the train car.
In this area there is a small toy store with small toys for sale, I guess you could buy a last minute gift in case you forgot to bring one they have gift bags as well.
Next area is a seating area next to the snack/food bar with plant based options and coffee. After that you enter in to main play section and the party rooms.
The party room we were invited to has an attendant who serves the food and drinks, and cuts and serves the cake (brought in by the host) the food was provided by the venue as part of the party room package.
It was nice, they setup tables and chairs for the adults food and drink is served, pizza and soda, the kids are served on kids tables and chairs also pizza and soda or juice.
The room use is timed, announcements are made over the PA stating the birthday room is ready for the child, you eat and drink first, kids go back to playing, then 30mins later another announcement to come back to the party room to sing happy birthday and cut the cake, cake is served, once finished the attendant packs up the cake to go home.
After that the kids are free to play until the parents want to go home. You can sit in the seating area if you wish.
Just note that the play areas are not watched by any staff, parents must watch there own children, your free to walk around with your children or keep a watchful distance if you older kids.

Amazing experience. Clean, huge with a variety of things to do. Despite having 3 kids (2.5, 2.5, and 4) I was able to sit down for a bit and let them explore. Employees are always walking around resetting toys back to their spot for use again so it never got "messy" tons of stuff for many kids to do. Worth the trip there- we'll definitely be back too and probably do a birthday party there eventually. We went the day after Christmas during winter break when all kids are home from school. Never got crowded

My daughter just had her second birthday party at Imagine That!!!!! and it was better than I ever could imagine. From moment one my daughter and all of her friends were having fun. Every kid found toys and stations that they loved. It felt safe to give my child space to play because it wasn't over crowded, was clean as a dream, and the staff was as attentive to our kids as we were. I was told the food would be great, but again it was better than I expected. The kids devoured the chicken nuggets. And the adults ate all of the empanadas, coconut shrimp, sausage/onion/pepper, and veggies platter. We got so many compliments on the food. Not to mention they offer ice cream cake as a birthday cake, which was a major crowd pleaser. The star of the show though was Bluey!!!! The kids LOVED getting to continously hug and dance with Bluey. The character package is by far the best bargain. My favorite part was I did nothing to prep or take down this party. I showed up 15 minutes before the start and just enjoyed myself. WE LOVE IMAGINE THAT and plan to be back !!!!

The kids really loved it. I have a 4-year-old and a 1-year-old. There was so much for both of them to do. They were playing non-stop that they did not even ask for snacks and we were there for 4 hours! Lol. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because I felt like the place wasn't as clean as I would have liked. I wish that there were more employees constantly walking around putting toys back where they belonged or straightening up certain areas. I do wonder if it would be different on a weekday versus a weekend because since we went there on a Saturday, I noticed that there were a lot of birthday parties going on. My mom was also with me and just thought that the rugs and the walls and stuff like that weren't as clean as she would have liked.

This was perfect place for our 4 and 6 year old grandsons. Enough for each to do; physically and creatively. Great for adults as there is plenty of seating near every activity area. The concession stand was amazing!! Best coffee and food selections were fresh, made to order, and not the usual garbage offered elsewhere. We had REAL chicken fingers, homemade tortilla soup, falafel with hummus and pita. It was very well priced. We will definitely be back.

Belmar Beach is a lively 1.3-mile stretch of coastline, complete with a well-maintained boardwalk and various attractions for tourists to enjoy. The town boasts a vibrant downtown area as well as a marina for those interested in fishing or sailing. Belmar's clean beaches and family-friendly playgrounds make it an ideal destination for families. Additionally, the beach offers several amenities such as cell phone chargers on every block and water bottle filling stations located throughout the playground area.
It was beautiful and clean. There's what I think is called a jetty (?) that you can climb out on. Surfers surfing. Fishermen fishing. A really nice Italian restaurant on one end. We didn't have to pay to access the Beach and when we left, just when it was getting dark, groups of people were just getting there and setting themselves up. Each group with their own set of tunes playing. I was also surprised at how the water was warm enough to have a pleasant swim in 80 degrees weather (which is a cold day at the beach in my book). Loooovw this beach! I’m thankful this year we were able to go to the beach and it was fun, clean, not too crowded or noisy! Parking wasn’t a problem too. Some boardwalk... appreciate that there’s 711 nearby we could easily buy ice. Brought food with us and it’s a picnic beach! Amazing waves!! Really cool for family gathering /outings on a low budget too.great for families or anyone who loves the beach! Bring food/snack and drinks with you. A good sunblock lotion, water to dehydrate a chair and an umbrella when it’s too sunny you don’t want to be out all day under the sun.

Beautiful beach and long walk-away. The place was clean with quite a lot of open space.
Street parking is available and cost about $2.5 per hour. There are wash and bathroom available on site.
You would need to buy a beach badges to enter.L which costs about $10 for adults and kids under 13 are free.

This beach is so clean and beautiful, it's a hidden gem inside New Jersey state. I highly recommend anyone go and have a blast. Great food, ice cream, and you'll most definitely have a blast. Parking is available right in front of the board walk for 6 hours I paid 12.95 on the park pay app well worth it. The beach is $10 all day. Not to crowded and plenty of room to sit on the sand. We even caught a rainbow over the ocean after a few raindrops. We will be back again.

Love this beach, it’s one of our to go beaches in the summer and we have introduced this beach to many of our friends and families! Very clean and safe, police and lifeguard are on duty, just come, follow the rules and pay the $10 fees for each adult and enjoy the day! Kids are free. They have playgrounds for kids as well! I’m sure your kids will be tired out after spending the day here!

Very nice sand. Wide open beach with loads of parking for a late fall visit. Mild weather brought out surfers, and the drawbridge was busy alternating vehicle and marine traffic.

The 1.3-mile Belmar Boardwalk is more of a party atmosphere, while the section through Ocean Grove is lined with benches, street lamps, and potted flowers
The boardwalk and beach area is located on Ocean Avenue and runs from First to Twentieth Avenues, offers many interesting attractions, shops, and eateries along the boardwalk, as well as fun along the extensive stretch of beach.
The Boardwalk has beautiful sunset, and it would be great to witness that. The beach and atmosphere work as additives to the situation. It is a perfect place for a long romantic walk
Smoking is prohibited on the entire beach and boardwalk at all times. dogs/bike/skating is also not allowed.

This beach was very nice and clean. You do need to have a beach tag/ bracelet to get on, so you need to preorder that. The water was very warm, surprisingly for July, when we went. Wasn't too crowded for a Friday either! There is a boardwalk, just not like WW if that's what you want. The area is also very clean and nice. It's street parking, free, but then there are spots that have metered parking, you use an online app for that. You won't be disappointed if you go here.

Nice clean beach. The crowds look decent. Decent amount of restaurants. It's a beautiful town with a large older crowd and a bit of hoodlums in the mix. The younger crowd make it less safe feeling.

• Beautiful place for photography.
• Friendly hikers/walkers.
• Great place to bring your kids to walk trails.
• Amazing verity of trees and flowers.
Was able to collect a bunch of different fallen leaves from different trees.
• Hold different types of events...
There's a Winter/Christmas event where you can come look at the different decorates trees— $10/person.
If you want to decorate (I was told by an employee) to contact The Frelinghuysen Arboretum around August.

Easily accessible and great parking. Looks like a great program area for youth and community gardening. Some of the gardens needed a bit of attention and seem to besuffering the lack of rain. Roses were gorgeous today! This would be a beautiful spring bloom destination or fall color change walk. I hope to revisit at a different time.

Updated review: My husband and I got married in the Knot Garden a few days ago and it was so perfect. I never imagined that such a beautiful place would be so simple and inexpensive to book for a wedding! This is just the place, whether you want a no-fuss ceremony like we did, or to book a larger event. Our guests loved the ambiance, as we got married just before sunset. So memorable and relaxed.
Original review: I loved this spot, it’s so gorgeous. My only drawback was that as a wheelchair user, I would have appreciated some more helpful maps and signage indicating pathways and their coordinating accessibility levels. We definitely turned the wrong way at one point and ended up on a pretty rough path! We got through okay, but had I been a more elderly or fragile wheelchair user, it could have gotten dicey quickly. Otherwise, the gardens and forest were lovely. We’re really looking forward to coming back to picnic throughout the summer.

Amazing little place. Lot of flora to enjoy. Good parking lot, spacious. Starting July, waiting for the plant scvanger hunt, a family event. Visited the place where the plant grows without soil. Probably that is what the future will be, If everyone deserts Earth to move to Mars.

This has the old home which has limited viewing times, but the garden behind the house and toward a gazebo is beautiful. There are trails leading down the hill on the property. I explored only this one which had an old white oak and at the end of the trail a rock labyrinth on the ground. I will return to explore the rest of the trails on a subsequent visit.
Site where George Washington & troops spent the coldest winter on record, with a museum & mansion.
Highlight of Morristown . Great tour in and around the house where George Washington stayed during the war . Environment is very well preserved

I’m always looking for historical places when I travel. This site is a treasure trove of historical greatness. The Morristown Museum is the site of one of the most famous and pivotal events in our nation’s history. The tour is free and the guide is friendly and knowledgeable. Standing in the house that a patriotic woman shared with the Gen that was so important in our colonies winning their independence is inspiring. The guide brings the story to life by explaining the freezing conditions of the winter of 1779. We all should learn about our counties founding so it keeps our freedoms real and important. History is everywhere. Look for it. Enjoy.

This place is pretty neat and is now the 3rd house that George Washington has stayed in that I have visited. The tour was nice and just like most GW houses it was simple. The visitors center is pretty neat, but plays the same video as the Jockey Hollow visitors center.

Visited for a Boy Scouts trip. My troop loved the trails, The scenery, the historical landmarks, and the breathtaking views the trails had to offer. Additionally, my troop learned a lot of historical information from the signs, guides, and destinations. The views were really nice and different because it had a combination of scenic mountains and also dense forests. The only thing I would add is to have more signs differentiating private property and public property. There are a lot of locations throughout the different trails in the park that risks you trespassing in to private property and that was something my troop experienced. We accidentally took a wrong turn after a sign said that the trail we were supposed to take was closed off. It took us about half an hour to figure out we were in someone’s backyard before turning around and going the other direction. However all in all, the place is gorgeous and I would recommend everyone experience this opportunity, and I recommend this place for picnics, revolutionary war experiences, and having a nice family trip into the American wilderness.

State-of-the-art exhibits am really good staff as well as a small gift shop make this a great National Park. It's a little hard to find due to one way roads but well worth the effort. I enjoyed the coin and postcards that they had for sale as well is the nice T shirts. The exhibit were you have to make decisions as if you were George Washington and you have different officers giving you advice was a lot of fun. I can't say enough about the great the staff .

I went to this place along with friends and family on a sunny day. This place is good for a day hike. There are several trails for hiking and most if them are easy to walk. The forest was lush green and it would definitely sooth body and mind. We went to visit the winter hut and found out how the American soldiers lead by George Washington, struggled and survived long winters during their fight for freedom from British rulers. This place is pet friendly and must visit.

Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen is a unique dining destination located within the historic Vail Mansion in downtown Morristown. This elegant restaurant offers four distinct experiences, including the Vail Bar, a sophisticated space that was once the library, and the Dining Room, which exudes formal charm. The Oyster Bar provides a lively atmosphere with its selection of raw bar small plates and farm-to-table entrees.

We had a delicious meal in the Vale Room, I had monk fish wrapped in bacon, my husband and daughter had steak cooked to perfection. Our servers Bobby and Marco were excellent, charming, so knowledgeable and efficient! The cocktails are so good, with a nice selection of wines and spirits. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Sandra Wrigley — Google review
We came for Valentine's Dinner. We waited 30 minutes to be asked what we wanted to drink, another 30 for our appetizers, and another 30 for our entrees. Our waiter was uninformed about the menu, barely said a word to us, and never once asked us if we wanted another drink or how everything was. Twice the waiters tried to bring us dessert when we hadn't received our main course yet. We were never asked if we wanted coffee or another beverage with or after dessert.
The food was absolutely delicious, but we ordered the $38 duck supplement for two, which was mislabeled as a supplement when it was a replacement for the entrees, which the waiter was unaware of. We paid $38 extra to replace our entrees with one that was not nearly large enough for two people. It was, however, delicious.
Whenever we've come in the past, we have always had a great time. It is an absolute travesty that on a special night like valentine's night, everything fell apart.
We paid nearly $150 per head after "supplements" and cocktails, and I would be disappointed at the experience for 1/3rd that price. I would never come back for a special occasion, which is a shame because of how much we love the restaurant on a normal night out.
The only reason I'm giving an overall three stars instead of two is because our previous experiences at the restaurant have been much better, and the food was quite good even if it took us forever to receive it and it wasn't quite what we were expecting based on the menu and our waiter's clear lack of awareness of what he was serving.

It was amazing food. I had a short rib meal. Amazing. The cocktails WOW. One of the cocktails had chocolate... I don't even like chocolate ended up really liking it. Haha. But my only warning is just if your very hungry, you should know the portions are small and pricey. If your okay with that then this is a beautiful place to stop at.

Probably one of the nicer restaurants in the region, with elegant cocktails and fine wine, an array of suave apps including delicious vegetable fare, and premium entrees. The biscuits and honey are a phenom, and my scallops were on point.
The modern design decor and contemporary luxury vibe add a special and cinematic atmosphere. The service is attentive and polite.
Most of the other diners fit the scene, with the exception of the loud, drunk, and obnoxious table of four that was seated directly next to us (we had reservations for two on a date night), who came close to ruining an evening that we paid a pretty penny to experience. For those types, the hostesses should have read the room and isolated them. We expect more discretion next time.

My husband and I enjoy celebrating special occasions here regularly! The chefs are very talented in personalizing delicious meals to fit customers’ preferences; I follow a strict GF/DF diet so that can be tricky at times as a lot of meals are either GF but not DF. We love going here and recommend it to all of our friends and family. The view from the Washington Room is spectacular, however, the ambiance can be improved with classic music to match the atmosphere as the last few times we have dined here it didn’t fit the aesthetic.

I remember when they first opened up, and they maintained that spirit of good food and drink since. The family style pastas and fish are great. Though sometimes hit and miss on the dishes individually, it's always been fun to pop into the library area for a drink or get a business meal in here. Parking in the basement lot or around the drive. Pasta is still great, had the lamb garganelli, but the appetizers like the hummus and the octopus were not inspiring. Very nice staff though.wbile steak was tough the salt and vinegar fries underneath were an undeniable hit.

We reserved a late table for New Year’s eve, which we could have been understanding to some traffic on such an evening. We were met by a very snippy hostess/coat check person. If you don’t want people standing in your front lobby area, which is tiny, then ensure that their table is ready. Also, the tiny vestibule with the coat check smells like a men’s urinal.
We were given an option to sit at a communal table as a band-aid to incompetence of front of the house management. Not to mention having already having paid $50 per person deposit to secure a table. We were seated 40 minutes late after quite a few snide comments from the “greeting” staff. The back bar decor looks like Marshall’s and the Dollar Tree got drunk and made some poor choices.
We came as a party of four, and opted for four course prix-fixe. The food quality does not meet fine dining standards, but presentation was decent. All of the food came at same time for each course, even if our dessert arrived before main. Our waiter staff were very attentive, but their supporting staff was obviously just trying to push us out by showing up early with dessert. When we did receive the mains, the two beef dishes were grey and bland, the fish was good though.
When the dessert arrived at proper time, the cake in both options were dry and crumbly, not matching the description whatsoever.
We are a group that comes planning to spend decent money on decent food and service but sadly, all we got for the money were a couple of the plates being good. The beverage and food wait staff assigned to our table were the shining point of the evening and they should be commended above all the other lacking team members.

The food was one of the best meals I have ever had. The drinks and service were top notch. My only minor note, is that the music in the Washington room was a touch too loud,. Perhaps this was to mask conversation from nearby tables, but it was a little hard to hear my dining companion and the server.
Christina Gould — Google review
We don't live nearby so it's our second time in maybe 10 years. Food, Service and Alcoholic beverages are still top notch.
We were a party of 4 adults.
Had the Old Fashion, the tequila version of old Fashion, the sommelier recommended Red, the Brachetto d'Acqui and some other beverages. Oysters were from Barnegat, the Special of the day: Beef Carpaccio, and forgot the other dishes.
The only snafus and they weren't a big deal was they mixed up my order and my wife's, (Fortunately it was easily discernable and it was within our table) and the bus boys or food runners reached across the table to try to correct the mix up. Not enough to give less stars.

Celebrated our wedding anniversary here and the place didn’t disappoint. Service from check in was great, friendly staff and prompt service. Food was spectacular! It’s pricey but the whole place and ambience will make you feel special. I just don’t like that the tables are really close to each other that the next table’s conversations are very audible. But I guess you have to really reserve early to get the best quiet-ish spot. Overall, a great place to celebrate a special occasion or have an exquisite fine dining experience. We’ll go back! 💕

Roosevelt Park offers a variety of sports facilities, walking trails, fishing opportunities, an ice skating rink and outdoor theater. The park features a flat loop around the lake for running and hilly paths in shady areas for more challenging walks. However, erosion has led to more dirt than grass in some parts of the park while tree damage necessitates annual tree cutting. Still, the park remains a great outdoor resource for Middlesex county residents seeking walking or picnicking spots.
A beautiful big park. Quiet & Peaceful. That our family enjoyed. Nice walking trails that allows you to contemplate mother nature. Have a tables area where you can sit and have a lunch / brunch/ snack. Clean bathrooms.

And, to all those romantic couples out there, the benches are a hoot! Do check it out, as we do - almost every evening!

If you are on Roosevelt Island, I would definitely recommend a nice walk along the river to the end of the island to get some absolutely beautiful photos of the landscape. I wish I had more time to explore and relax in the park and watch the boats go by. It was a cold, snowy morning when I took a walk down to the park. It was absolutely breathtaking. There is so much to look at from all sides of the island. I would love to come back during the warmer months and take advantage of all the sitting areas and just take in all the beautiful views. There is an old hospital within the park with lots of interesting history, take a moment to read about it. It is very interesting and one of the reasons I wanted to explore this park. I love history and reading the stories and learning about the architecture of the buildings. It is pretty fascinating. I will definitely be back when I can spend more time exploring and relaxing while taking in all the gorgeous views.

One of the nicest maintained parks in NJ. Has a man-made lake, tennis courts, basketball court, picnic spots and a health trail with stops where you can excercise if you are the fit type. Lots of parking and public restrooms make this a place where you can spend time and not be out of the place.

Great place for a run. Flat loop around the lake. Hilly and more shaded paths in the other half of the park. Unfortunately, the park has more dirt than grass now in the shady areas due to erosion and possibly overly aggressive mowing. Lots of mature trees with damage around the base and roots means the tree cutting crew is taking down trees each year. It’s still a great outdoor resource for Middlesex county residents for walking and picnicking!

This park is a great place to enjoy BBQ parties with your family and friends. You can find many BBQ grills in the park, but you need to come early to get one. Alternatively, you can bring your own portable BBQ grill and set it up anywhere. The park also has ample free parking space for cars, so you don’t have to worry about finding a spot.

Roosevelt Park is hugh and very close to Metuchen and Route 1. I have played cricket, tennis and gone to picnic almost every summer in last 10 years. Park was not at all crowded on July 4th. Been to this convention on about 4 or 5 occasions. Always something going on. Today, was the busiest I've ever seen it. Minerals, rock on one side chocolate expo on the other. Even with last week's being the holistic expo. This was busy but go early if your handicapped. Not enough handicapped parking also wouldn't hurt for shuttles if distance is an issue. Other than that, it's big enough for what they do. Just needs a improved, better parking area.

I recently attended a boat show at the convention center and the venue was just right for the event with plenty of space to accommodate the many boats and exhibits on display. The convention center's lighting and temperature, which is a always an issue at big events, made the environment comfortable and encouraging to take one's time and fully appreciate the boats on show.

Always an enjoyable time at the Greenberg Train and Toy Show. There is plenty of room for exhibits and vendors as well as shoppers. The only negatives I can think of is the parking; especially if there is another event going on at the same time. I also wish they would expand the cafeteria area a little bit. Seems a bit tight. Other than that, it's a good time for all ages!

Went to an event here and it was packed! Packed with cars parked everywhere around the entire facility including the grass areas. There were tons of people and I would say it was a fairly large convention. With all the traffic and parked vehicles, I was lucky enough to find parking immediately upon my arrival. I'd recommend if you're attending an event ,you should get there early to find desired parking or be prepared to walk a little bit of a distance to the entrance. Note: you will be checked prior to entrance by security (not sure if this is done all the time but, I'm guessing because of the large amount of people attending, it was very necessary). Leaving the facility wasn't a nightmare with all the traffic( if you leave immediately once security tells you it's closing). Highway was also easily accessible. Inside facility was decent with clean bathrooms. Bathrooms were fully stocked and surprisingly not crowded. There are also drink vending machines by entrance for somewhere around $4 or $5 bucks. A bit expensive but was necessary after alot of walking and a long drive.

Today we went to the NJ expo center for the chocolate Expo 2024.
Let me tell you....it was very nice.
The expo center is very big, very spacious, clean, plenty of bathrooms and they weren't bad!
There were standard ticket holders (us) and VIP ticket holders (not us)
VIP I saw got a nice tote bag, not sure what other perks.
Walking in I recommend you get your 21+ verification so you can try the alcoholic infused chocolates or samples of wine, beer, or wines.
It's not only chocolate, they did have a variety of vendors hot sauces, teas, pickles, baked goods and more.
They had food available Argentinian empanadas, Jamaican food, pretzels but the giant ones.
The Vendors were nice enough to give samples.
For a child 12 and under it was not as thrilling
But an oldie like me I liked it! I enjoyed walking around meeting these wonderful creators. The happy hour gummy bear owner she was the absolute nicest to talk to too.
Local 12 news was there but they only had a spin the wheel for pens, sanitizer and were not as engaging.
They had 3 cast members from the original willy wonka movie (back from my time with Gene wilder)
But they charged a fee for autographs, picture or both. So that was the only disappointing part.
We were looking forward meeting them.
Other than that it's a fun time! Time flew! Parking is a pain but it is what it is! Lol
I recommend this event! I'll review the vendors I liked individually.
I look forward for next year!!!
Enjoy!

The New Jersey Convention and Expo Center is a nice, big, clean, well lit place. We went there for the cat show which hasn’t taken place for the last couple years. If you like cats and have never attended a show do treat yourself! It does cost to get in but it makes a good day. Believe in adopt don’t shop? Many rescues attend this show as well. Did you know that you can enter your household moggies? Yup, your pet cat can win ribbons! They usually have a agility course set up as well. There are ambassador’s of different breeds that you can learn more about and pet! Ever wanted to learn CPR in case your pet would need it? They teach that there too! Wonder what they judge the cats on? The judges are quite nice and talk to their audience explaining what they are looking for and what they are seeing with each cat they judge. You can buy tickets to win all kinds of stuff, this year they even had 2 litter robot litter boxes (they run $300-$700). Vendors sell cat furniture, toys, beds, enclosures, jewelry, books and so much more! It’s usually around the middle of July. Come check it out next year!

Visited the convention center for a Lionel Train show. The facility was nice, the restrooms were clean and the show was fun. But the parking was severely inadequate. Long traffic line to get in to try to park, unmonitored undersized parking area. When leaving it was observed that people were parking all over the place in desperation, including parking far away in other companies' parking lots and walking in. Visiting the New Jersey Convention and Expo Center in Edison? Get there SUPER early if you want a decent parking spot. Summer train show was far less crowded.

Had a wonderful time today with my family at Jurassic Quest! My soon to be 2 year old absolutely loved it! Kids under 2 yrs get in for free, however I made sure to pre purchase him an unlimited wrist band so that he could experience all the activities they had an unlimited amount of times! Mini playground for toddlers, bouncy houses of all shapes and sizes, live action show with dino, sandbox for dino fossil exploration, stationary dinos you can sit on, face painting, crafting section and much more!

I have been here a few times for a couple different events. The first time I was here was for the Punk Rock Flea Market. And just recently an adult expo. Exxxotica. The place always has a good layout, the floors are always clean. The temperature inside is always perfect. They have a vending machine for drinks and a cafe. The prices are a little high. But not anymore than you would expect for a Con. I have never had trouble with parking and it seems to always be free. It's really close to the turnpike and other highways.

I've gone several times to holiday craft fairs at this location, and this visit was for the Great Train & Toy Show (my brother and nephew tagged along). I'll start with parking...upon arrival we noticed several cars were parked along Sunfield Ave, and no wonder, the lot was packed! But we don't mind a little walk, from waaaay in the back! Event tickets at the door were cash only, no problem. And once inside we were amazed at how many vendors were jammed in there! My nephew was happy too see so many Hot Wheel Car vendors (and I found a couple of Lionel Christmas box cars that caught my eye), but I digress...
If attending a convention here, get here early if upfront parking is needed, bring cash (small bills makes it easier to haggle), there was a long line for the back rest room rest room (use the one up front), and the snack bar got quickly crowded (I carry a energy bar or 2, should've brought water), and dinning space was kind of limited.
Getting there is fairly easy via Google Maps. New Jersey Expo Center 97 Sunfield Ave, Edison NJ 08837

I came along with HEVI as an exhibitor at the Mid-atlantic buildings and Facilities management show. The center staff helped get our equipment in (and this one felt like it just fit through their largest dock)
The convention center and the staff of our event worked together really well to make sure everything came in and out as efficiently as possible.
This is not a union space, so we drove our own equipment in. The center had another event going on alongside the show we were at and they put a large curtain to divide the spaces.
The only negative experience we had was waiting for staff to request a forklift and a dock to get opened when we were closing out - as no one was at the convention services booth for an extended period of time. - they eventually got there.
Some of the rental equipment was a little scratched so we'd personally bring table covers or our own furniture if we were to exhibit again.

Princeton University is an esteemed institution of higher education established in 1746. It is renowned for its engineering, science, and humanities programs. The campus boasts impressive architecture and holds historic significance. Though it is a private university, it has high academic standards and values its exclusivity. However, this exclusivity can limit access to certain areas on campus such as the university chapel which is only accessible to students, faculty or staff.
Truly an iconic Ivy League university! The moment you enter the gates you can feel the 300 year history of this legendary university. The time capsules for each batch are a beautiful tradition and placed in a very aesthetics manner. The town of Princeton around the university is a great place to walk around among a truly accomplished crowd of people!

Princeton University is a private Ivy League university located in Princeton, New Jersey. It was founded in 1746 as the College of New Jersey and is one of the oldest in the U.S.
Princeton is ranked among the top universities in the world, and is best known for its rigorous academics, prestigious alumni network, and of course, as its well proclaimed beautiful campus.
Princeton offers a broad range of academic programs, with majors ranging from humanities, social sciences, economics, and engineering.
Its campus is absolutely beautiful. It consists of various large extensive buildings and structures all throughout the walking area. It is very much common to see students alike and tourists taking photos of such aforementioned structures because of their voluminous space and architecture.
Princeton's undergraduate curriculum is based on a liberal arts foundation, requiring students to take courses in a variety of disciplines.
As stated on their respective website:
4 years of English
4 years of Mathematics
4 years of one foreign language
2 Years of Laboratory science
2 Years of History
Princeton also offers a variety of financial aid programs to help students make college affordable.
Not only that, but undergraduates also have the opportunity to conduct independent research, often under the mentorship of Princeton's world-renowned faculty.
All in all, Princeton University is a world-class institution that offers students the opportunity to receive a rigorous education and learn from some of the best minds in the world.
It is a community where students can grow and thrive, and make lifelong friends from all over the world in an environment where young minds are constantly being challenged and older minds are seeking to serve and teach their years' worth of knowledge.
If you are a high school student who is interested in attending Princeton, you should start planning early. Princeton has a very competitive admissions process, and it is important to have strong grades, and extracurricular activities in progress while you still have time.
In addition to that, I definitely recommend visiting the campus and talking to current students to learn more about the university,
student life, and its unique culture it portrays.

This is a very old school with charm and beautiful architecture. I just walked through the campus, but it was quite lovely. I cannot attest to the education, but from what the school has posted everywhere, it seemed like a very “where are your papers?” university, which is quite something. I will not doc any stars because of it, but I was not allowed in the university chapel because of it (only students, faculty, or staff allowed)- I know it’s a private school, but I though these places were supposed to be open to all, like their predecessors in England like Cambridge or Oxford.

You get to see a lot of Victorian style architecture. Although you will most likely not be able to explore any of the buildings from inside its a great place to walk around and enjoy the architectural marvel. Recommend time of the year is fall especially if you are driving from NY or upstate NJ.

The campus is beautiful. It's an arboretum as well. There's a famous rose garden and a nice free museum. You'll also find some of the most pretentious and entitled little monsters south of NYC here. A bastion of "wokeness" and antithetical to academic freedom, it would be wise to avoid Princeton altogether.

It's beautiful!! It's amazing to walk around the campus. It has a very Hogwarts magical vibe. The buildings, the built and everything about this place has a history (the good and the bad). It almost feels like having a connection with that history while you walk through this place.

While Princeton University is often celebrated for its prestigious academic programs and distinguished faculty, there is a notable policy that has been a subject of contention among students and alumni alike: grade deflation. The grade deflation policy, which aims to curb grade inflation and ensure that grades are awarded more stringently, can be seen as unnecessary and even detrimental to the student experience.
Firstly, the policy can foster a hyper-competitive atmosphere, where students are not only competing with the rigorous course material but also with each other for the limited supply of higher grades. This environment can stifle collaboration and the free exchange of ideas, which are vital components of a healthy academic community. Instead of encouraging students to learn and explore intellectually, the policy may push them to focus narrowly on achieving high grades at the expense of deeper understanding and creative thinking.
Moreover, grade deflation can have significant implications for students' futures. In a world where GPAs often play a critical role in graduate school admissions and job opportunities, Princeton students may find themselves at a disadvantage compared to peers from institutions with more lenient grading policies. This can be particularly disheartening for students who have worked diligently and performed well by objective standards, only to have their efforts diminished by a policy that seeks to limit high grades.
Additionally, the stress and anxiety induced by such a stringent grading policy can take a toll on students' mental health and well-being. College is a time for intellectual growth and exploration, but the shadow of grade deflation can loom large over this experience, turning it into a high-stakes competition for academic survival.
While the intention behind grade deflation—to uphold academic integrity and prevent grade inflation—may be commendable, the policy's adverse effects cannot be ignored. An academic institution of Princeton's caliber should aim to cultivate a supportive and encouraging environment where students are motivated to learn and grow, not constrained by unnecessary limitations on their academic achievements.

The Princeton University Art Museum is a public museum that exhibits over 80,000 works of art from ancient to contemporary times. The collection includes a wide range of art and artifacts, including symbolism-rich pieces with great historical significance. Although it is a small and free museum, the collection is impressive enough to capture the interest of adults and young children alike. Visitors can easily spend several hours exploring the exhibits depending on their level of curiosity about art history.
Surprisingly nice for a small and free museum. A good collection of art and ancient artifacts. If you have younger children it probably won’t keep them occupied for more than an hour; adults can easily spent a couple hours or more, depending on your level of interest.

Princeton's Art Museum is a small, quiet little museum. When I visited, you couldn't bring in water bottles, so most people "parked" theirs in the coatroom until their visit was over. I didn't worry that someone would steal my (unattended) coat.
The Museum's collection is modest but interesting. Princeton's campus is beautiful and there are many cool restaurants and shops right nearby.

McCarter Theatre Center is a longstanding establishment that has been showcasing various forms of performing arts since 1930. With over 200 productions annually, including drama, dance and music performances, it continues to be an important cultural hub. The theater is conveniently located in Princeton with free parking after 5 pm and easy access to NJ transit.
It is a small scale theater that I visited first time to see Seong-Jin Cho’s recital. It is located in a very convenient place where parking lots are free after 5 pm and the last station of NJ transit (Princeton).
The staff was very polite and helpful. A staff guided me to my seat by herself, which I appreciated very much.

It's a historical theater, surrounded by Princeton University. Clean, easy to navigate (some stairs/no elevator) there is a bar for cocktails, water, etc., plenty of staff for assistance, and there did not seem to be a bad seat in the house. Theater was nice. Will call made us pay for an extra ticket that we did not order. We ordered 4 seats next to each other, and the 5th seat was located somewhere else. We explained the situation and how it was no logic to it, and they still made us pay for it. Other than that the experience was very good.

One of the best regional theater venues in the state. Variety of offerings with reasonably priced tickets. Community groups are included and several events are free. The only reason for four stars rather than five is the location of the restrooms.

We attended the performance of Bulrusher last night at McCarter Theater in Princeton. The production was well done and what incredible performances by the entire ensemble. Each of the actor and actresses gave award winning performance especially Jordan Tyson the actress that played Bulrusher. The role was an intense role with so much emotion and Ms Tyson played it brilliantly. It also was nice to be greeted before and after the play by Martin Miller the new Executive Director of McCarter. I have been a subscription subscriber as well as just buying individual tickets and McCarter never fails to show why it’s a Tony Award winning Regional theater. To the entire cast of Bulrusher as well as the set designers, lighting and back of the house crew. Well done!!! Bravo

I can't really comment on the outside because I went in the evening but the inside is warm and felt very old school in a good way. There is a small concession in the lobby and they have ushers to help you find your seat. The seating is regular theater seating, rows of fairly comfortable connected seats with balcony seating in the back and exclusive balconies on the sides in the front. We went to a preview showing of A Christmas Carol and they did a very nice job with the acting, scenery, and sound.

We've enjoyed a lot of great shows here. They have also been vigilant about following best COVID-19 protocol, including their encouragement of indoor masking. The latest show we saw was done by the 1491s, an incredible collaboration and one of the few plays led by Indigenous creators and cast. Definitely makes me much more loyal to MaCarter.
Terhune Orchards is a popular farm and winery located just outside of Princeton. The family-owned and operated orchard offers activities for visitors of all ages, including picking apples and pumpkins, playing with farm animals, and visiting the Farm Store to stock up on their famous apple pies. In addition to fresh produce, the store also offers plants, flowers, cider, and gourmet specialties.
Live music, wine from the wine yard, a farm store, a barn cafe, an area to pet goats, do keys and pony's. A fun place to spend a few hours.
They have Strawberry picking in spring.

Lucy and a Leo Littlebit loved their time here (Saturday in April) with the Easter Bunny hunt. The hunt was rather basic but it was right in line with what you should expect most 4-7 y.o. kids to handle.
Some of the organized "activities" that day were also pretty limited but the place itself was full of variety to keep little ones busy and content: a couple barnyard animals to pet, horse rides, playground, & random smaller activities.
As for the everyday experience, I can't speak to it much but the baked goods were delicious, and our Easter guests enjoyed the wine (Front Porch Breeze) the next day!

I hadn't been here in many years and was driving by and decided to check it out. The parking was easy as it was mid-week and the grounds are well cared for with flowers in bloom. Since I last visited there is a restaurant and a winery but I only checked out the farm store. Everything looked really nice but the prices are ridiculous. $10.75 for a quart of strawberries during strawberry season is crazy, I pay half that at our local farm store.

A lot of families, kids and mang happening activities to do.
I like the farm store, Apple Cider, Candies, donuts.
My favourite spot is the feeder box that gives the food for goats in a Quarter Dollar. My 2 year old enjoys to feed the goats there.

This was such a wonderful experience. A beautiful photogenic location with lots of free roaming wildlife and “petting zoo” animals. The online ticket purchasing was smooth and I was able to add the tickets to my apple wallet. For a $12 admission fee, I felt that the experience was worth it. One of my favorite features to the farm were the nature trails and nature descriptions posted all around.
We forgot to take pictures of the market, but it had fresh produce and baked goods. There are vegetarian options(veggie soup & veggie chili) at the food court for those wondering. There is ample amount of seating both in the shade and the sun. The apple cider and apple cider donuts are a MUST.
This farm is family friendly for sure, but also great for couples and friend groups. There is a scavenger hunt sheet at the front entrance with 8 different locations. Once complete, you get a free donut as a prize! For the little ones, there are different interactive games and activities all included with the admission. For the adults, there is a wine tasting section w/ many different options for an additional cost of course.
I HIGHLY suggest picking your ticket time slot for opening(10 AM on Saturday) as there are less people and you have more freedom to roam without walking around others. The pictures we took do not do justice as there is just so much to do and explore.

We had SUCH a good time at Terhune Orchards last Saturday. It's a beautifully-kept land and we had a blast with our family. We were a large group comprised of adults, teenagers, and little children and we ALL had fun in different ways. For adults, don't forget to get some amazing produce and products made fresh on the farm. We purchased pumpkin and coconut pies, gallons of apple cider, and we had some apple cider slushies that were the perfect complement after a long day of walking. The corn maze was fun and not complicated to get through, and all staff members were in a great mood and were very helpful. They have a petting zoo for the kids and even teenagers had fun walking around. Don't forget to grab some brownies, they taste incredible and we wished we got some more. A great place to get some fresh air, for couples, and for families!

Went this past Saturday afternoon to pick some fresh apples, available varieties were Early Fuji, Gala, Jonathan, McIntosh, Honey Crisp, Empire, Macoun. We only went to the orchard (13 Van Kirk Road), not the main farm. A medium bag was $13, which fit about 13 apples. Plenty of apples, easy to navigate the orchard, parking is plentiful and easy.

“Kite day” charges $15/person at the door for “food, music, pony rides, games.” Turns out, food, pony rides, games are not included. I’ve enjoyed this place in the past when admission is free, but we purchase snacks and food a la carte… but this event is misleading advertising, and an incredible rip-off. I’d stay away. Pictured are: the Pony ride NOT included in the admission. $10/ride…. And ducky’s, not included!! Cheap plastic toys to jump on ARE included, so that’s something!
The live music was “on break” for more than 50% of the time. Sad.

About 16 for a ticket to get in. There are other packages that included things like wine tasting. The shop was nice and had fresh products. Not much to do here, not a lot of selection of pumpkins. Could not pick apples at the time we came, we was sent to another farm close by.
Had some stuff for kids to do, but you could find those activities at a local park to be honest. The hunted house for kids was cute.
You could feed the animals but the rabbit were in a small cage with a gated bottom. Not cool, you are a farm and can definitely building a better cage like the chickens had one.
There is wine tasting is another fee you have to pay. Food was available, French fries was out in the open under a hot lamp. The lady giving out the out was not the friendliest. But everyone else was friendly.
There was live music and pumpkin painting as well.
Nothing really todo here

Ok. We tried the new pick-your-own apples experience, with full knowledge of the new pricing structure. We have been going to Terhune for many years but took a break over COVID. I read all of the negative reviews on here about the bag purchasing approach vs the weight approach and decided to try it.
The three of us bought two small $9 bags each, for a total of 6 small bags and $54. I have to admit, it felt pricey. Each bag fit about 6 large apples. So it's about $1.33 per apple. We decided to go this way rather than 3 large bags so we could keep the varieties separate.
The orchard was as usual very spotty. Some of the varieties were in full production, some were way done, but that's typical for a working orchard with different varieties. We definitely had to walk around a bit to find the varieties that were ready and not over picked. But there were certainly plenty of apples to fill our 6 small bags.
On the whole, the new experience was much like the old one. We definitely left with fewer apples then we would have otherwise.
However, what was different was both the anxiety at the end of the day about how many apples you picked and what you would have to pay, AND the huge line and usually about 20-30 minute wait to check out.
So, I'm not really super upset about the new pricing model. On the whole, it worked out ok.
If we had more people in our party, i can see how the $9 small bag minimum purchase per person might feel onerous. But remember that there's no parking fee and no admission otherwise. If you were trying to take advantage, you could conceivably drive up with (say) three cars full of people and spend hours walking around and eating your fill of apples, without that per-person minimum purchase to cover it.
After thinking about it, I'm ok with the new pricing design. $9 for 6 apples still feels pricey tho, so maybe they should reconsider the per-bag prices. However, it was a fun two hours for the three of us, and that's about what we would have spent on a movie. *Shrug*
The apples, as usual, were delicious.

Very cute farm. They have a little cafe with small eats. The farm store with fresh produce, I purchased some peaches they were a bit expensive and went almost bad after 2 days so I turned them into peach jam. There’s a cute animal area where you can feed goats and a beautiful flower field. Also depending on season different fruit you can pick. Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy the farm the way planned. My phone disappeared within 10 minuets of me getting there. The girl from the cafe and Elie were sooo helpful and kind!!! I was really panicking since I wasn’t from the area and felt stranded not knowing how to drive back. Luckily after about an hour someone did return my phone but I’m glad for the two girls who worked at the farm they were soo sweet and humble helped keep me calm and searched everywhere. If I’ll be in the area again I would visit the farm again pick some fruit and flowers.

There was not much selections in food. Also not many places to sit along the long walk through the Mall.
Outside not much to appealing to the eye. But there is plenty of places to park.

This is a prison. The clientele reflects that. It is probably the most dangerous mall in the country. Looting, flash mobs, low class felons run about daily. Furthermore if an item contained the wrong price within the store, the supervisor at Forever21 was very rude to me. In which she stated, "this is the price and no I can't help you". The lack of empathy was appalling.

There was a time when “ Franklin Mills” as it was once named thrived. It was so much fun. The food court was full of great vendors from cheesesteaks to Chinese, McDonald’s, pizza, and even a small diner people filled the seats to capacity. There were dozens of cool kiosk in the center where fun people sold trinkets and gizmos, dolls that flipped and ones that barked. Some sold candy and some jewelry and odd nail buffers. One guy even flew small remote controlled helicopters around. That was fun to watch. I think we even bought one once I’m sure. It had an indoor skate park for the cool kids (I always dreamed of going but couldn’t skate for my life) then over the years it lost that “ Dazzle “. Now I go just to reminisce and get exercise walking to the end and back with my bored children and buying the occasional pair of shoes and auntie Ann’s pretzels. The food court is so poor now. 75% unoccupied, nothing good to eat. Stores are bland. No fun exciting kiosks for the kids to dream in front of and annoy their parents for. I think it has potential though. They maybe need to take a good look at their board members and the heads folks and see what their vision is and maybe make some adjustments for the next generation of mall goers. Otherwise, take photos while you can because it may turn into some condos or something who knows.

A shell of what it used to be. So many stores are closed now, and the people at the kiosks seem desperate for sales. The food court is dead. I remember so many food options back then compared to now. Now all you can get is Charley's, Popeyes, and Chinese food. A sad thing and grim reminder that nothing lasts forever.

I walked into the mall to buy a prom dress and keep aware im a size medium. I viewed a few stores before stopping at rosies and the other store employees were extremely sweet towards me. I walked into Rosie’s and found a beautiful pink dress and it was my size and the cashier was extremely rude to me and said I needed to wear an 2XL because I was to big. I weight 142 by the way and I told her it would not fit me and she kept on insisting it would fit me because my size. Her personality was extremely disgusting and rude. The lady who picked the outfit out for me (the 2XL dress) also thought it was FUNNY to say I was fat to the point I almost cried while trying on the dress. never shopping in that store again 🤦🏻♀️

We only went in Burlington. Found what we needed at good prices. Cashier was too busy talking to 2 colleagues and hardly said a word to me. She also crammed the clothing into the bag. She didn't even think about folding it.

Its not the same vibe anymore.
But oddly my children still like to visit the mall. Better prices shopping online and you don't have to deal with pushy salespeople or people who hate their life or job. I don't mean to be rude. It just barely anyone smiles and they barely look at you when you walk into a store.
Shoe store people are always nice tho.

Sad to see how much this mall has changed over the years. We stopped in on our way back from the NYC area to find a watch. The stored were extremely limited. The sales people at some of the businesses seemed desperate to make sales.. we did find a nice Zales store and had great customer service there. Just sad to see how many empty spots are in the mall now..

I was really shocked after visiting here about the rating I saw prior. After my experience I read through them and noticed most of the positive comments were about facials which I didn't have. The woman who greeted us was very nice. However, as we were sitting and filling out our forms two ladies were looking right at us and whispering. It could just be me but I felt like they were talking about us and not in a nice way. I was hoping they weren't who were going to massage us but I ended up with the one. The person I was with had the gentleman. Mine was not very warm or upbeat at all. I get massages twice a month from a chriopractor and every massuse there you can tell enjoys the art of massage. This woman acted like it was just another job for her which was fine. Then I got manhandled and I don't mean the pressure of the massage. It was the way she positioned my body. She was flicking yes flicking pieces of my hair that got in the way. When she move my hands she jerked them. There was no light touch or relaxation at all. Three times I almost ended the massage but didn't want the person who paid for me to feel bad. I can take a lot of pressure but I did not appreciate how I was jerked into positions or her aura of annoyment when I wasn't in the right position. The energy of this person was just so negative. I don't know if she was having a bad day or what but being massaged by someone putting off that type of energy doesn't make for a good massage. I gave two stars because of the facilities and the stones really did feel nice.

First she massages you with a sugar scrub to gently remove all the dead skin cells and then cleanses the skin. Then she massages with a body oil for super hydration which soaks in under some warm towels. Then a rich body cream is massaged into your skin! I feel like a new person! ❤️❤️❤️

Independence National Historical Park is the birthplace of the United States Constitution and Declaration of Independence. The park covers 20 city blocks and contains museums, Independence Hall, and the Liberty Bell.
If you love history then you must visit this place in Philadelphia. Here the Declaration of Independence was drafted and signed. Here is 2 places one is congress hall where the congress used to gather before Washington DC and you can visit without ticket but you have to wait for guided trips. Another is Independence hall which required a free timed tickets booked online. Make sure to purchase few days before. Original Declaration of Independence is at Washington DC.

A very good place with lot of memories packed in the park. There is always something happening in and around the area. Parking is available near by area , paid parking. We went to the park after the bell and visitor center is closed to enjoy the very large lawn space. It is mesmerizing to watch the independence mall from the park lawn and it is wonderfully large park area. Kids can enjoy lawn and it is too within the urban area. Security should not be an issue due to importance of the area. Nighttime lights on different mall area is very good to watch and for photography. May not be suitable for family after 9 pm due to we felt the smell of green stuff. All in all a must visit place if you are around the area.

You need to order tickets online to reserve a tour time ahead of your visit, but that was easy to do. You get to tour Independence Hall with a park ranger to learn the history of this important building and our "founding fathers". You then visit the building where Congress and Senate would meet. Be sure to appreciate all the detailed woodwork inside. Look around and transport yourself to the important time in the formation of our nation.

Baby start saying I don't remember go to Independence Hall Visitor Center and get a free ticket to the Ranger talk and discussion at Independence Hall. The Rangers are very knowledgeable. You'll see the courtroom where the Declaration of Independence was written and signed and debated. Then you will see the hall where 11 years later President George Washington presided over the writing and the debates of the United States Constitution. The Independence Hall building was constructed in 1734 and was the seat of government of Pennsylvania and was the high court of Pennsylvania. The signatories of the Declaration of Independence or actually committing trees and upon signing it and would have been put to death by the British government had the revolution failed. These founding fathers of our country put their lives on the line for our Independence.

If you're looking for a national historic park that celebrates the independence of the United States of America, with nice wide open areas to wander and very interesting historical facts to peruse, along with helpful security guards and park rangers - in the middle of Philadelphia, then you have found it here.
Plan on a couple of hours to see everything at a gentle pace. Enjoy the spiels from the rangers. Learn about how a big, important bell cracked... but not when! We just don't know, apparently!
Take pictures and post them to insta so you can prove you take this nation's history and founding seriously. 👍

Loved the history and we had an amazing tour guide. The tour takes about 20 min and is well worth it but book ahead as the spots sell out quickly. After your done I highly suggest walking through the court yard to Congress Hall. That building is 1st come/ first serve and no tickets are required. Arrive 15 to 30 min early as you will need to go through a metal detector and your items go through a xray like at the airport. Enjoy this amazing piece of history.

I would highly recommend this to be seen by every American at least once. But the tour itself seemed very flatline. For the how important this square is to American history the tour guides didn’t seem to convey this. They take into two rooms. A court room and the assembly room. After the reserved tour. I would recommend experiencing the great essentials building and the capital building as well. I will provide their own reviews.

Spectacular. Of course, the visit will mean more if you are familiar with the stories and the history, but no matter who you are, you will feel something when you are in the room where the United States was born. Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia is an absolute treasure trove of American history, and visiting this federally protected historic district is like stepping back in time to the very birthplace of our nation. Administered with utmost care by the National Park Service, this 55-acre park encompasses some of Philadelphia's most iconic historic sites nestled within the charming Old City and Society Hill neighborhoods.
Walking through Independence National Historical Park feels like a journey through the annals of American history. It's no wonder it has earned the well-deserved nickname, "America's most historic square mile." The park is a veritable tapestry of landmarks, each one a piece of the puzzle that is our nation's founding history.
From the hallowed halls of Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence was debated and adopted, to the iconic Liberty Bell Center, which houses the symbol of American freedom, every step in this park resonates with the echoes of the past. The authenticity of these sites, coupled with the immersive exhibits and knowledgeable park rangers, make the history of the American Revolution come alive in a truly captivating way.
But it's not just about history; the park also offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The meticulously maintained green spaces provide a perfect backdrop for reflection and picnics, allowing visitors to savor the significance of this place.
Independence National Historical Park is a must-visit for anyone with an interest in American history, a love for beautifully preserved architecture, or simply a desire to connect with the roots of our nation. It's an experience that leaves you with a profound sense of insight and appreciation for the remarkable journey that gave birth to the United States of America.

Nice park with a good amount of green space to lounge around or walk. It is next to a few sites that are worth visiting and is a good place to rest in between them. Lots of neat buildings to look at around the park and traffic didn't seem overly bad in this part of the city.

No food/smoke/drinks inside .no restaurant either.

It's nice that it's all so walkable. The "national park" is a whole section of town, so there's regular shops and stores in the middle of all the historic buildings - it's not like it's set apart like a Williamsburg, VA or anything. I do like that it feels pretty safe at night.

Very informative! Space is clean and lots of information boards, pics, and videos. Has historical meaning so I would say it's worth visiting.
The Liberty Bell is an iconic American historical landmark, originally cast in Great Britain but recast in Philadelphia to adorn the State House. It became a symbol of liberty and hope for advocates throughout the 19th century, ringing to call the Pennsylvania Assembly to meetings. The bell's famous crack remains to this day, and it has been adopted by many others as their symbol.
We got there fairly early as soon as they opened and so the wait was very brief.
The entrance is free and there are no timed tickets etc necessary.
There is security and scanners- so plan for the wait. No food and drink allowed - so plan for the coffee to be done as well. :)
The exhibit is wonderful- the Bell quite spectacular. The Park Rangers are all very pleasant and engaging. The backdrop of the Bell against the tower in the Independence Hall is quite stunning and humbling.
Highly recommend this stop. Also the exhibit on the display in the center was very good as well.

I love the preservation of history! It was equally viewable all the way around. Plenty to read and look at while standing in line to see the bell itself! Make the time, I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. There was not much of a line at all. Total time in and out was less than an hour.

The entire Historic District should be explored on foot only. The building in which the Liberty Bell is showcased is nice with a lawn and the experience starts with a history and significance of this great bell and how it was a symbol for liberty and freedom not just for Americans, but for many global situations.
The entire trip at Liberty Bell would take about 40 minutes to an hour, culminating with a few moments at the Bell itself.
Your trip to Philadelphia is not complete without this.

So, we went on a Wednesday & it looks like the schools do their field trips on Wednesdays too, just like NYC. The line was really long. You can see the bell from the outside windows, but you can't see the crack. You can get tickets (free) but it doesn't look like that will help with the line to get in. There is a lot of information to read all around so there is a lot to learn. The grounds are beautiful and full of interesting information to read at every turn

Excellent FREE piece of American History to explore. They have lots of plaques inside the visitors center describing how the bell was made, when it rang, where its traveled to, how the crack was formed, and more. Across the street from Independence Hall, close to George Washington’s old home, and right next to the Visitors Center, there’s lots to do in this little area!

I always get mixed feelings when I view stuff like this. I appreciate the fact that they are preserving history, but I don't feel that it's being done respectfully. There's way too much emphasis on the slavery part of it all. From pictures to videos. Constantly pushing the narrative of that's who we are. Consistently showcasing people of color in a negative and destitute state, rather than showing our accomplishments and triumphs, regardless of the attacks that are still presented on us today.
I am disappointed in the lack of representation of my people and the whitewashing of history. Downplaying the vicious role that was and is still being orchestrated today by those who created the battle for justice.

It’s cool to see but underwhelming. Thankfully it’s free, so points there!! It’s cool the view of independence hall right in the back but you really don’t spend more than like 5 minutes here. I attached the picture of the bell, that’s basically it y’all. Also they had high security here but the people working there were knowledgeable on Philadelphia history.

This is definitely one of those places where there is something for everybody. My partner and I had to walk around 3 times before deciding what places we were going to eat at. All of the food was really good and fresh. Seating can be really limited here but if you wait it out you can find something and some establishments have seats available for guests. There is everything from food to crafts and jewelry. You can easily spend hours here. Come hungry and prepared to spend some time.

So much fun. So much action and variety of color and textures food and people. If you lived in the area you could actually buy your groceries there. But the main thing is the lunch crowd and I do mean crowd. Every type of ethnic food choice is available there.

Reading Terminal Market is a must-visit spot in Philadelphia, easily accessible by bus, subway, or the hop-on, hop-off bus. If you’re at the Convention Center, it’s perfect for a lunch break; just remember to stamp your hand for re-entry. The market, located indoors, offers a comfortable environment with heating and air conditioning. Given its size, it’s wise to plan your visit or check the online directory beforehand. The market boasts a wide variety of goods, from seafood and meats to sweets and souvenirs, all conveniently located next to each other. With numerous seating areas, it’s a great place to enjoy a meal. While I’ve heard it houses about one hundred vendors, I’m certain I’ve only scratched the surface despite multiple visits. The market is always bustling, even on rainy days, attracting a diverse crowd of tourists and locals. You’ll encounter people in traditional Amish attire, individuals in burqas, and others with turbans, adding to the multicultural vibe. Most vendors accept credit cards or cash, with some even offering Apple Pay. However, the market could benefit from more garbage pails and maps at each entrance of the vendors, as currently, people have to go to the website to find the map of the market. While I can’t confirm if parking is free, there are parking garages nearby. Don’t miss this exciting exploration opportunity!

This is one of the coolest places I've ever visited and I've lived in several different countries. They have a variety of different restaurants, vendors for meat, seafood, poultry, pork, cheese, you name it you can get it here. What ever type of food you want there is a food spot for you. This is a must see on your visit to Philadelphia along with the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall

Weddings at The Reading Terminal in Philadelphia are a unique and unforgettable experience for everyone who attended. The venue, Reading Terminal Market, is perfect for those who love food and Philadelphia, and it's easily accessible, with a parking garage directly behind the market, and many hotel options nearby. The layout of the market is unlike anything you've seen before, with custom furniture for guests and a stage setup for the band or DJ, and areas for more quiet. The staff, run by All About Events, were beyond helpful, and the food was amazing with a huge variety of different options, including custom homemade pop tarts. The wedding was unique with no sit-down dinner and no assigned seating which created a relaxed lounge type vibe and more time to spend with different people. I highly recommend checking this out for your wedding reception!

I have been to Reading Market before in my previous trips! However this time I really took the time to walk through the entire market numerous times! I went at different times of day so I could take it all in without being overwhelmed. I got to have some really yummy bagel sandwiches for breakfast and made to order juices and smoothies. If you’re looking for donuts they have those too. They were okay but not yeasty enough for me. I tried cookies, pies and cakes. The Caribbean shrimp curry was so good I had it twice! This is a must go!

This is just an awesome place to visit for a foodie. It has EVERYTHING. I am most impressed with the pastries. Amish doughnuts are amazing! They are some of the best I have ever had. Definitely a must. I stop by specifically for those delicate delicacies. If you don’t like what you see, please message me, and we will see if we can get you right.

Amazing food and produce here. Visited by tourists and locals. Had a Philly cheese steak.. But there were nicer and more unique foods available. About a 20 or 30 min walk around all the stalls. Highly recommend if your travelling. Great safe atmoaphere. And nice surrounding area. A big contrast on the empty mall over the road.

Great way to spend a rainy day. Breakfast at Down Home Diner is a great place to start. Their biscuits are amazing and the people were really kind. After that, hop from aisle to aisle and pick from desserts, coffee, or small trinket shops. It really is just a great way to spend a morning or afternoon.

It’s a good thing I can’t go here everyday because I probably would. So many delicious options. A mix of groceries and food to eat there or takeaway. There are seating areas in the middle and at some of the stalls/restaurants.
The pretzel was as good as I heard it was. The apple and blueberry fritters were delicious. We had to try a cheesesteak of course and I was happy they offered a half option.
Definitely visit if you can and enjoy some great food!!

That's an awesome market, we went during the weekend and it was very crowded.
There are so many things to see and eat here, we had such a hard time choosing a spot for lunch.
There are also great spots to buy unique ingredients, we especially enjoyed the olive oils and the balsamic vinegars!

Just an amazing food hall in downtown Philadelphia that you must try! In fact, it may be the best place to eat in town! So many options to choose from for just about every kind of cuisine you could want including plenty of stuff for your sweet tooth. It’s also a legit food market for those wanting to buy stuff to cook at home. Very, very busy almost all the time so you do have to fight the crowd a little bit. But, it’s really a lot of fun just to wander through the whole place and take everything in. You’re going to pay between $10 and $15 for a meal but that’s not too bad. I would personally recommend the Fourth Street Cookie Company, and the donut shop. The Dutch Eating Place has a hot turkey sandwich platter that was amazing and a great value. There are places to sit inside the food hall, but getting a table can be a bit of a challenge. Just go check it out. You won’t be disappointed.

We ate every meal of our stay in Philly here. You get quality, variety, and value. We had some great fried chicken, a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, breakfast at a Dutch place, pastries from same Dutch place, oysters, and Pad Thai Noodles. It was all super good.

This Market is a culinary gem that serves both locals and visitors with its rich tapestry of flavors, diverse offerings, and historic charm. If you're a foodie or just looking for a memorable meal, this market is a treasure trove that embodies the spirit of Philadelphia's vibrant food scene. From restaurant vendors, to gift shops, or straight up deli/seafood counters.. I couldn't decide on where to eat because of how many different and unique vendors sprawling around. I ended up choosing a Georgian cuisine place that was so delicious. My visit left me with a deep appreciation for the city's culinary heritage, and I can't wait to return to explore more of what it has to offer.

Great experience visiting Reading Terminal Market! Food and more food! You can purchase cooked food like cheesesteaks from By George or Philly’s famous soft pretzels from Miller’s Twist. Or you can get specialty popcorn or chocolates and goodies from Sweet as Fudge. There are a few tables to sit and eat, but it was way too crowded for me. There are also places to buy fresh seafood and meat, delis, and souvenir shops. There are so many things to see and try that it can be a bit overwhelming. But a great time overall and a definite stop if you’re visiting Philly.

Quite a variety of food stalls there in most every genre. High quality too!!

A foodie paradise! The food portions are generous and very reasonable. It's a bit like a labyrinth and the aisles can get clogged with people coming and going. I recommend The Dutch Place for one of the best breakfasts you'll have in Philly. Along with food stalls are kiosks that sell herbs, candy, meats, and seafood.
Eastern State Penitentiary, a national landmark in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was designed to reform rather than punish criminals and is famous for its wheel-like design. Today, visitors can explore exhibits on topics like prisons today and Al Capones cell. The prison also features tours of the cells of some of America's most infamous criminals.
I loved visiting Eastern State Penitentiary. I absolutely love that they've left it as is because it feels like an urban explore, but legal. historical and haunted. the vibes here are heavy but it makes you want to stay and explore more. incredible spots all around to take pictures and explore at your own place.

Came for a history lesson and educational tour while visiting Philadelphia. Arrived right at opening during the week and there was not any line at all. Purchased the Daytime Self-Guided tour as you receive a audio headset that gives you prerecorded info for each area. As you go from one area to another, you'll see signs which tell you the audio clip to play on the headset. This allowed you to tour the facilities at whatever pace you wanted in whatever order you preferred. It also had many extra audio clips that weren't part of the main tour, but you could listen to you if you wanted. The paper map also gives the locations of the various areas the audio clips reference. There was no time limit, so you could stay as long or as short as you wanted. I'd say the main tour lasted about 45 minutes.
As far as the tour overall, this was very interesting, educational, and somber all in one. They did a great job of preserving the penitentiary just as it was until the closing in 1971. There were also many interactive stops along the way and several artists exhibits throughout the facilities. It wasn't just about the penitentiary itself, but also the role the penitentiary system played in the 1800's - 1900's and even to current days. It also looks at different perspectives from punitive, restorative, or reformative justice. This was a nice tour full of interesting and educational facts.

This was our favorite tour while in Philadelphia. We were here during the day, which made it not as creepy to walk through as it would be at night. There was a very heavy feeling throughout the entire facility. We did not see or capture anything that would be considered paranormal, but there is definitely some energy that is felt. This was an amazing tour. Whether you are interested in the paranormal or just in history, this is a great place to visit!

Such an iconic place. Some parts are completely in ruins but somehow, it gives energy to this place where lies a strong history of convicted people. It has a great audio guide that provides you with details about the the penitentiary. Save, at least, 2,5 hours to enjoy the visit and the audio guides.

Great experience!
Lots of history.
Some of the cells have been preserved and used for Art Installations. Hand sanitizing stations throughout walk. Didn't understand why some areas were closed off but are open at certain times of the year (cell block 12 for example) still had a really nice time reading and listening to the Steve Buscemi narration of audio guide. Would love to return for a night time visit!

My daughter (18yo)and I really enjoyed our visit. We spent several hours there. There is so much well presented information to take in. The building is fascinating but the education aspect is as good. We learned so much about the current state of the US and global penal systems. It was pretty shocking stuff. I am left with the insane comparison of the much higher annual cost of incarceration versus an Ivy League education. I think that all citizens should see this. They may develop greater sympathy for convicts and why they need education as well as a loss of their liberty.
Will Davey — Google review
Definitely recommend coming by for the walking tour, audio provided by Steve Buscemi. The tour takes you through the history of the prison, life of the guards and inmates, and discusses some topics like solitary confinement, US modern prison system and the need for reform. Worth the price and will definitely give you a new perspective.

This place is really cool... and creepy. Most of the buildings are slowly falling apart but certain areas have been restored to provide visitors a glimpse of prison life when Eastern State was operational.
We walked here from our hotel by City Hall and purchased tickets at the gate. We chose the self guided tour where they provide headphones that have recorded information about different locations around the prison. The narrative is fascinating as you learn both the history of the prison and the history of incarceration in the US.
I'm definitely interested in returning for their Halloween festivities.
This is a must-visit attraction in Philadelphia.

I've done so much reading up on this venue and finally had the opportunity to tour this place. I took my kids with me and they really enjoyed the experience to tour such an old facility. The audio tour was phenomenal and added to the experience. I really want to do the haunted tour they do in the fall. I'll be back again soon in the future to tour this great facility again. It's amazing that most of our prisons are structured off of the design of Eastern State Penitentiary.

Coming here is like an interactive museum, and it’s guided with an audio tour which is cool. Despite it being very fascinating and full of history, it felt solemn walking in an area where many were deprived of basic human needs, and seeing the different facts of this prison and the injustices that occurred. There are exhibits all around besides the actual prison which are very interesting and informative, and don’t forget Al Capone’s cell is here too! A must see exhibit is the Prison Today, which is interactive and based on the modern day US prison system. Overall, I really enjoyed coming here because it’s not only a great history lesson, but much needed eye opener.

Great experience. Even my 7 year old enjoyed it a lot. You take the tour on your own at your own pace. Handicap accessible. They provide you with audio recordings going through about 10-11 sections. The sounds and the story telling turns it up a notch. They sell water and snacks in there so you can actually snack as you walk around. Was it scary? I would say not at all but if you can put yourself and your all into what you are hearing and witnessing it can be.

An atmospheric place where you understand that it is better not to go there in reality. Huge passages, small cells without windows, with a narrow gap in the ceiling, high walls surrounding the prison, death cells, abandoned deserted corridors, from which mystical cold blows. This is a very interesting historical place, I highly recommend visiting it. And yes, there is Al Capone's camera, with the music of those times and the setting. I recommend buying tickets in advance online with a discount coupon.

I saw this while looking up things to do in Philadelphia and immediately added it to the to-do list during one of my upcoming trips.
I decided to go on an early Sunday afternoon. There is lots of street parking available in the immediate area...but its probably best to stick to the main streets (Fairmount and Corinthian Avenues...). Once you get into the side residential streets, the signs there mention "permit" which made me a bit nervous. I know some neighborhoods require residential permits to park on the streets and I didn't want to take the chance.
Admission prices were $21 for adults and $17 for childen. Children under 6 are free. (Online prices...not sure if was more at the ticket window)
After entering the front, you pick up your audio device. A small device with headphones that you can select various numbers marked throughout the penitentiary that will tell you a bit about that area or exhibit. I hope at some point, they would offer an app or online guide where you can use your own phone and earphones for this...the device provided is very dated and comes with wired over the head headphones which can get in the way if you are carrying items, a camera for example.
The penitentiary itself was great. While the audio device was cumbersome at times, the information provided throughout the self-tour was impressive. It is very well-paced and guides you through the main areas before letting you know the formal tour is over and your are free to explore. There are many smaller areas and exhibits throughout the penitentiary with wonderful little details about prison life at that time. A must for any history or architect buff.
One of the larger areas is the prison yard which leads into an indoor exhibit focusing on the impact of prison reform and overall effectiveness of the various prison philosophy. I like how they included something relevant to modern-times and its impact on today's society. It really stresse that we, as a nation, can do a lot better.
I usually get through museums pretty quick...reading the exhibits while taking lots of photos. This took me about 2 hours to get through most of the areas. There were certain areas I was less interesting in that I didn't read or listen to the entire description. So give yourself time if you plan to see everything...also wear comfortable shoes as there is quite a bit of walking.
There is a small gift shop toward the end of the tour with clothes, mugs, books...etc...what you'd expect to find in most gift shops.
There is also a bathroom trailer as you exit...very clean actually.
All staff I encountered were friendly and polite.
As for children...some older children may be interested in the history and stories of the prison...but there really isn't much "to-do" for younger children. The entire tour is on one level throughout the cell blocks, prison yard and other sub-areas...there arent any stairs except for one view from the upper cell block level.
The penitentiary is in walkable distance to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Rocky Statue and Steps and surrounding park. There are also some nice eating options along Fairmount Avenue which leads right into the park...not a bad idea to make a day trip to include the penitentiary, food stop and park.

This was a bucket list item and it was awesome! Sure, it's not as scary as it probably is at night during a ghost hunt, but it was still really cool. Lots of great history, and the audio tour was very information. The entire experience was fantastic.

One of the coolest places I've been to in a while. We did the hand on history where they take you to the places the regular tour doesn't take you and it was the best part. If you love history and want a real life experience this is the place to go. I was in shock of just how they preserved this building but at the same time seeing the decay of the cells was great. I enjoyed the walk through audio tour. Also there was a section where local artist came in within one of the cell blocks. I would get there earlier to ensure you have enough time to see everything.

I think it's the best tourist experience I've done in years, it's immersive. I did the night time tour which dded to the experience without a doubt. I was limited by the 10pm close so only spent 2 hours but could've done 1-2 more working through the art installations and experiences they've included.
Great value for money and it's the one thing I'd tell anyone to do first as a must do activity in Philly.
The Barnes Foundation is a world-renowned art museum that features the work of some of the most celebrated painters in history, including Renoir, Cezanne, Matisse, and Picasso. The museum is located in a beautiful setting in Spring Garden, Philadelphia and is perfect for any admirer of fine art.
What an amazing and unique museum! I kind of love that nothing is really labeled, it makes you look at the wall as a whole (lots of symmetry going on) and sort of enjoy what you enjoy without other telling you how important it is. And it's not just impressionist art, though that is the bulk of the collection. There are African pieces, furniture, and lots of hardware - decorative hinges, locks, metal bits that I found fascinating. To learn more about a piece that catches your eye, there is a website you can pull up on your phone, point it at the painting, and it will give you all the info.
It's set up inside like the old house the collection was originally in but the outside is very modern and concrete. I really loved the juxtaposition. Make sure to catch an introductory talk in the ground-floor classroom - it explains the history and why everything is set up like it is.
Sara Beth Wade — Google review
In my opinion, the architecture of the building is far superior to the actual collection of art. Some of the individual pieces were really good but it’s curated so poorly… there’s maybe like one good art piece in a room of 45 bad pieces from famous artists who had not yet developed their skills yet. In a way, it’s fun to see that these recognizable artists had so many failed artworks that were really missing the mark before they started creating great impressive art… but in general that’s the impression I got from this museum. So many of the artworks could be filtered out to really make the handful of amazing ones stand out.
The lighting in the rooms is horrendous which made it very hard to appreciate the color and strokes of the art, and the quirky arrangement of art all stacked one on top of the other was somewhat interesting at first and then became incredibly annoying because you couldn’t fully appreciate the art when it was hung up next to the door in the hall where everyone was walking or above the door higher than you can comfortably see.
The museum app allows you to scan the art to get info on each piece and then they send you an email with the art you saw. I liked that. I thought it was a nice modern touch. In general, the museum is worth going to, but just not the best museum I’ve been to. Could be improved.

The small garden just outside the entrance is amazing! It makes me think about my trip in Japan. The mirror-face pond is so beautiful. I arrived before the museum is open, so there is no others. The sound of winding blowing among leaves and the birdsong both give you a sense of tranquility.

What a unique perspective on ART! De. Barnes was ahead of his times! I would have enjoyed a lecture or two by this great educator! His free thought and fluid ideas truly allowed magic to happen among artists and those who followed his teachings. The fact that he was able to collect all of this art was mind-blowing! Random: They used metal detectors and appreciated that as an added layer of security. Some staff were more welcoming than others. My favorite pieces were of bakeries dancers. I enjoyed learning how the rooms were put together!

Amazing experience for any art lover. Large collection of European and American modern paintings including Renoir, Matisse, Degas, Rousseau, and many renowned artists. The rooms are packed with pieces curated in thought-provoking ways by Barnes himself and without overwhelming texts or explanations like most museums. It was highly experiential and inspiring. Recommend at least 3 hours to properly enjoy all the galleries.
Ina Li — Google review
The most pretentious museum I’ve ever been to. It’s obviously a huge scheme for the Barnes family to avoid taxes by investing all their money in art and a non-profit organization (which I’m sure turns a hefty profit). Also, Mr Barnes has a very particular taste in art…many, many female nudes. An excessive, distasteful amount of female nudes. It’s a nice building. I’m glad I went on the free day but I wouldn’t want to pay for this.
Juliana — Google review
My favorite museum experience by far. The Barnes is unique because it lets you, the visitor and viewer interact with the art as you please. It is up to your own personal perspective, creating a evocative experience. Unlike a traditional museum there are no plaques or descriptions of the art. The only signage is a tiny, almost microscopic plaque of the artist’s name at the bottom of the frame. The Barnes is an immersive treasure trove of Impressionist art that forces you to think outside the box. Must see if you are in Philly.

Superb collection of Renoir paintings! Sweet museum, well laid out, mostly in one floor. Galleries are a bit tiny and chock full of art and objects. Wonderful restaurant. Great gift shop! Need to be technically savvy since artwork information is accessible only by using a QR code and an app. If you don’t add your email address, you’ll lose the snapshot info when you zoom in on a painting. Other than that, photography is clearly ok, as seen by the manual photos I took and shared the old fashioned way.

We had a lovely time at the Barnes Foundation, which has a beautifully designed building that holds a variety of post-impressionist and early modern art. WOW! Over 4000 pieces of art in this incredible museum. When admiring the works, one of the guides (Mark) was incredibly helpful and informative, educating us about the Dr. Barnes, the collection, history, the location, and about specific paintings. They have an app where you can use your phone to scan the art and it'll tell you all about it (look for the QR code signage when entering the exhibit after the cafè). They have a coat check (required), and very nice and clean bathrooms. Don't forget to go upstairs to admire the rest of the collection!

This was on my bucket list of art museums to visit, and it did not disappoint. It not only exists as a showcase for beautiful and amazing art, but Albert Barnes’ belief that art is for the enjoyment and edification of everyone. As you go through each room and view the paintings amongst the furnishings, metalworks and other art objects, you can’t help but marvel at the care and effort that Dr. Barnes took to purchase and place each piece. What was he trying to highlight with each arrangement? What was he trying to teach? In addition, there are more Renoir and Cezanne paintings here than anywhere else in the world, and that includes France. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

I can’t believe I waited so long before going to the Barnes foundation. The number of pieces they have is absolutely astounding and it’s such an intimate way to enjoy some of your favorite impressionists. But as you may, or may not know, their collection is definitely not limited to impressionist art. I went on a free museum day but I would 100% go back and pay full ticket price to experience it again. Expect to spend some serious time here. It also is one of the best museum gift shops I’ve ever been in.

The Impressionism and post-impressionisms lovers dream! This museum was amazing, not only was the collection incredible, but how it was curated was really enjoyable. It felt like I was just walking around somebody’s house. A house that’s filled with billions of dollars worth of art. It really humanized things, and it was special to see different pieces together in one space, highlighting the differences and similarities amongst artists and movements.

The Franklin Institute is a family-friendly science museum that features many interactive exhibits and displays as well as a planetarium. The exhibits are designed to stimulate all five senses, and the museum also has a special events calendar that rotating offers new experiences for visitors. Some of the highlights of the Franklin Institute include an exhibition based on the Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook which tests guests' survival skills, as well as Hall of Fame Gallery which showcases real worst-case survival stories.
I came for the Harry Potter experience and stayed for the rest of the museum. And I would say as an adult on my own, that took me about half a day. If I had kids, it would take significantly more, I think.
The Harry Potter experience takes a solid hour or so to go through. You check in and get a wristband that you can tap throughout the experience to earn points for your chosen house. It's beautifully lit and designed, with several interactive bits and photo ops. I loved most the port key and the dueling wands!
From HP, you can more or less make your way from the top of the museum to the bottom, via a large central stairwell featuring Foucault's Pendulum, proving the rotation of the earth on an axis.
There's a kinetic energy area great for little kids, a sport zone where you can test your skills, a 3D printer in a tech studio, walk inside a giant heart (adults can totally fit!), play with electricity, stand on a map of Philadelphia, pretend to do a weather forecast, climb into a fighter jet, and see a humongous steam train up close. It's mostly aimed at kids, but I still enjoyed walking around and touching stuff. I even caught a fun theater show about liquid nitrogen.
If you're an adult and interested in Harry Potter, you might want to just do that, but if you've never been to the Franklin Institute, it's definitely worth walking around the rest as well.

My group and I went specifically to see the Disney 100 Exhibit which was wonderful. The staff was friendly and were a great resource with questions and recommendations, and I thought that they were efficient in how they described the tour process. If my group had been staying for a longer time, we would have tried to see the other exhibits

This place was so fun with SO much to see. Perfect for kids and adults of all ages. It has so many interesting exhibits. There is a lot of hands-on stuff to help with learning about the body, space, art, and more, and it was a lot to see. Make sure to make time as you'll spend more than 3 hours here. My big problem was that the Lego Exhibit costs separately from the ticket to the institute itself. It's very expensive.

Loved visiting the Harry Potter Exhibition and Franklin institute. Lots of hands on experiences, and while they did have some hand sanitizer stations, I felt it helpful to have my own with me. My girls loved exploring this place! Also, we ate lunch at the Eatery, which was such a positive experience. We were a bit confused when we first came in, but a friendly woman was right there to point us in the right directions. She even had the cooks prepare my daughter a burger without cheese. Everything was great! The burger was amazing

I expected that our group of six would enjoy our time at The Franklin Institute, but I can truly say that it exceeded our expectations. This is not your average science museum. I think the main difference and why it’s so delightful is because it offers lives shows and hands on exhibits. The lives shows are designed to keep even the smallest of children engaged, laughing, AND learning. The hands-on exhibits provide children with the ability to learn through visual displays and touch. As an adult, I was incredibly impressed to see how the exhibits help you visualize and understand concepts that you may think you already know. This museum isn’t cheap, so make sure to schedule the most from your visit by prioritizing the live shows and then exploring the hands-on exhibits on your own time.

Definitely a fun day. Plan ahead and get your tickets online. 3-4 hours should be adequate to see everything but if you want to do all the planetarium shows as well, plan to spend all day to get it all in. We opted for the yearly membership since we are close enough to make multiple trips throughout the year.

My daughter visited the Disney Exhibition with her Summer Camp. And she really enjoyed herself. She loved everything about the Disney Exhibition. It's was thing to see it on TV or at the Movies 🎥
There's a special feeling to see it in real life ❤️.

My children loved this place, especially the Brain and heart exhibits. I enjoyed the flight exhibit and my husband loved the machine area. The cafe area is large with plenty of seating and lots of food, drinks and snack options. You are also able to bring your own food as many people packed lunches for their kids and themselves. For additional fees, you can purchase tickets to the planetarium and the traveling exhibits. This is definitely cool place to bring the kids or to come enjoy as an adult.

Amazing place for people of all ages! The architecture is amazing inside and out! Always something new to experience and learn about the many contributions from people/organizations around the world who add value to our daily lives. The hands on approach to learning is genius! Hands down an amazing Museum for adults and families with kids of all ages! The demonstration room with combustion and liquid air were phenomenal. The speakers were well versed and made the experience fun and engaging! I just can speak highly enough for this experience. It was a learning experience and made us feel like kids! If in Philly come to this Museum! It is worth every penny.

Amazing! It had so much things to do! The Harry Potter exhibit was outstanding! I recommend going there. The eatery was amazing cheap and good food. The workers where super nice and helpful. Tip when I got there parking near there was full so try to find somewhere else to park. Also you'll have to walk a few.blocks to the Franklin Institute.

The Franklin institute is one of the coolest science museums we've ever been to! There are 4 levels of super cool exhibits and the Harry Potter exhibit we went to was spectacular. It has a planetarium, trains, planes, space stuff, electricity, brains, heart exhibit... everything that is fun to look at scientifically. Even the restaurant inside was delicious. I highly recommend it! 👌

Great for kids and adults!
Great museum with lots of interactivity for kids of all ages.
Review just for the general admission. They do have a special exhibit you pay separately for. They had the Disney 100 out at the time but we decided to pass as I heard there wasn't much interactive station for the younger kids.
Took my 3 and 8 year old sons and they both had a great time. It took about 4-5 hours to go through everything there. Three floors split into different themes and the shows were all great. Definitely worth seeing the live science show on the 3rd floor. About 20 mins long and both my kids were engaged as they did a good job talking with the audience.
Plenty of tables and seats for lunch. We brought lunch as well as I bought a chicken sandwich and fries at their cafeteria, "the Eatery" and it was decent. Nothing to race about but it was hot food It was nice that you can just grab and go so no real lines.
Parking: they do have street parking walking distance all around the museum but they do have a 3 hour limit. They do have a parking garage underneath and it is $20.
Overall a great place for kids and adults to learn more about science and have a good time. You can definitely spend more than 4 hours there. Worth checking out if you haven't checked it out before.

This is as fun today as it was when we last went over 8 years ago. Our kids are older but still enjoyed it. Of course mostly same exhibits but the Disney was new (required timed entry purchased ahead of time which meant it wasn't overly crowded). It wasn't very science-related but if you're a animates/Disney fan you'd probably like it. The brain was one our favorite areas including the play/climbing structure. The heart was the favorite of my 5year old.

Fantastic experience for kids and adults alike! To begin, the architecture and lobby are breathtaking. We went for the Disney 100 exhibition, which was fantastic for all ages. The interactive science exhibits were also a lot of fun, these are certainly aimed more at children, but our party of all adults had a blast too. The GIANT heart is very cool. Hugely recommend this museum. We were rushed at 2.5 hours. I’d recommend allotting 3-4 hours to not feel rushed.

Great place for kids to learn and explore science. Then planetarium experiences great.!they have multiple types of shows for that. They also have Liquid and Combustion shows which are very entertaining for the kids. Their new space experience is amazing. They have many interactive displays that keeps the young minds engaged and curious to learn. Their Electricity section is also great where you can wait for the Faraday cage to go on every hour in the hour. Overall a great experience and a must do for late elementary and up kids.

This place is so much fun with the kids. They have a Lego exhibition that just opened up. Get here at open to get the slot of the Lego exhibition. Do not skip the planetarium tour where they show you constellations. There were a lot of interactive exhibits which were a lot of fun for our kids. You can easily spend half a day here.

Really enjoyed the space section and the heart! Some of the stuff wasn’t working which was a bummer but overall I really enjoyed this museum and the ability to interact and touch the displays. This is a great place to bring kids and I would definitely recommend if you wanted to let them run around because there are obstacle-like rooms. I went with my boyfriend and we enjoyed ourselves as adults! Definitely good as a more affordable museum and interesting.

It's one of the best places for family outings in the Philadelphia area. We liked the planetarium a lot. They had awesome shows, the souvenirs shop is very good too, bathrooms were clean. I think the only comments I may say: the cafeteria needs to have more selctions, and I think the institute needs to hire more associates to help guide the visitors. Definitely, we will go back there more times

This Institute is a wonderful place for science enthusiasts. This place is really huge in terms of different exhibitions.
The place consists of various halls on different levels and each one of them is specific to a particular field or branch of Science.
There are many wonderful models that explain the complex scientific concepts in a very easy and engaging way.
I highly recommend this place especially for school going students as the place creates a curiosity towards learning Science.

I truly enjoyed the Lego Exhibit this year.
The artwork was very moving and I was astounded by the pieces that were made with legos!!
Took my boys and they were extremely excited and did not want to leave the exhibit themselves due to the overwhelming amount of legos they have for the children to play with in different ways.

Located at the base of the Philadelphia Museum of Art's steps, the colossal bronze statue of Rocky Balboa is one of the most iconic tourist attractions in Philadelphia. Created for the movie Rocky III, it was gifted to the city by actor Sylvester Stallone himself. The statue stands towering above passersby, and is a popular photo spot.
I went to the Rocky Statue yesterday, March 13, 2022. It was a special moment for me because Rocky has been a childhood hero of mine since I was 5 years old. Growing up, watching Rocky was inspirational and he was a true fighter against life. I love you Sylvester Stallone for creating such a beloved character that is a true hero to many of us around the world.

After the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, the Rocky Statue is the next Philadelphia stop for tourists. The statue is free to visit. There is always a line, but it goes fast. People spend about 30 seconds with the statue. You can ask the person behind you to take a picture for you. Sometimes there's an entrepreneur who will offer to take pictures for you. I paid one enterprising young man a dollar. Some people didn't pay him anything. I'm happy I did because he helped the line go much faster and he was an expert with camera phones. He took 10 photos of me in different poses and in both portrait and landscape modes, all in 15 seconds.

It's not in top of the stairs like in the movie. Only reason we saw it was because of the line. We pushed across the street and hopped it for pictures. It's free and people will definitely wait the few minutes for a pic. We even took pictures for each other. CAUTION: there are two guys offering to take pics with your camera however they expect a few dollars. I was used to it being a NYer but my friend was a little overwhelmed.... until I introduced her to Mr Softee🤣🤣

I parked in the parking lot directly across from the Rocky statue. There was no attendant to pay for the parking fee. After parking, you walk on the sidewalk, across two crosswalks and the Rocky statue is directly in front of you. There was no wait when I went. There is no cost to take your pictures of the statue or with the statue. I highly recommend stopping here. The parking lot that is across the street, DO NOT leave purses, pocket books, or other visible valuables in your car. I went back to my vehicle, and there were two separate vehicles that had their windows broken.

If you are in Philadelphia, of course you also have to come here 😉 Impressive next to the "Rocky" guide in front of the statue is the view from the stairs. Funny to watch at the same time how many "storm" the stairs, regardless of age, gender and physical condition, to celebrate themselves upstairs in Rocky Pose. 😂 The view of the Museum of Art at the top and down the stairs towards the skyline are impressive. It is worth strolling along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway towards the city.

There was a long line forming at the statue. But if you come here already, you mind as well get a photo with him. It’s quite incredible that people here take him as a real life historical figure. Located basically right in the middle of the city
It’s is an amazing location right by the museum to the right of the museum to be exact
Tons of people have fun and running up and down the stairs for a little bit of Rocky nostalgia
Beware of the parking lot and your belongings
Also beware of people offering to take your picture at the rocky statue they expect a tip after and can get a little bit rude
Make sure to wear your walking shoes but it is well worth it !!

This is a famous statue of Rocky that has been moved around during the years. Now it sits at the base of the stairs to the Philadelphia Art institute that Rocky famously runs in the movies. The statue is larger than life sized, and free to visit. There was a line to get pictures. We wanted to hop back on the tour bus, so we didn’t wait for a picture, but still got to see the statue.

The famous Rocky statue stands to the bottom right of the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, which were also featured in the film franchise. This is a fun photo opportunity, and there sometimes can be a line to take a photo with the statue. Absolutely free, and make sure you run up the steps to recreate the same scene that Sylvester Stallone did years ago.

The Rocky statue in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is a unique blend of history and pop culture. Standing at the footsteps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, it immortalizes the iconic movie character Rocky Balboa. The statue has become a symbol of determination and triumph, drawing visitors from around the world. While its historical significance may be unconventional, its presence is undeniably part of the city's cultural fabric. Whether you're a Rocky fan or simply curious about the intersection of film and urban landmarks, a visit to the Rocky statue adds an entertaining and memorable dimension to your Philadelphia experience.

I came here just to view it along with the steps that are right next to it. I took an overnight bday trip to Philly. It was cool, nostalgic, and worth it, I suppose lol. I've been a fan of Rocky movies since childhood, and I absolutely adore Sylvester Stalone. Did you know he wrote his own script and refused to sell it unless he was cast as the main actor. It took him years to make it happen, but he did it! Never give up!

The renowned Rocky Steps and Rocky statue are essential stops. They resonate with Rocky fans and Philadelphians alike, offering a fantastic view of the city. Conveniently located near Eastern State Penitentiary, the Franklin Institute, and the Riverwalk trail, and with a view of Center City Philadelphia and City Hall, it's an ideal walk if you're staying near City Hall.

Located to the north of the famous “Rocky Steps”, which are the steps for entrance to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, on the right side of the steps, when facing the front of the museum and at the western end of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, the statue is as big of a spectacle as the spectacular Museum. Oftentimes, more people are lined up to take a picture with the Rocky Statue than there are patrons entering the Museum. The statute came into existence during the third installment in the Rocky franchise during a dedication ceremony from the City of Philadelphia to Sylvester Stallone’s iconic character.
M.R. Cardonick — Google review
We went early in the morning and there was no wait to take photos at the statue. From there we ran up the stairs for some more photo ops, including Rocky's footprints so you can stand right where Rocky stood. We were in a large group and everyone seemed to have a good time.
I can't believe all of the 1 star reviews. If your car got broken into, that suck, but it has nothing to do with the statue. If you had to wait in line, or you just don't like pop culture, that doesn't warrant a 1 star rating. If the statue fell over and crushed your mother, then maybe you might want to give it 1 star. Maybe give the City of Philadelphia a 1 star rating while you're at it.
Eric Burgin — Google review
It’s neat to see the statue in person and go up the stairs like Rocky did in the movie. Not much else to do here besides going to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. There’s also a pop-up Rocky souvenir vendor close to the statue. Predictably, everything is over priced. Getting a close parking spot can be difficult, but you may get lucky and find a spot on Pennsylvania Ave.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is a world-renowned art museum located atop Benjamin Franklin Parkway. With renowned exhibits like the Creative Africa and re-imagined South Asian Galleries, the museum is constantly updated with new and exciting exhibitions. The Rodin Museum, which celebrates Auguste Rodins career, is also accessible with admission to the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
The artwork was spectacular I looked at just about every piece of art The collection was huge I stayed there for about an hour just taking pictures and viewing artwork if you're into art I will most definitely recommend that you go there now while they have their exhibition up. This was a fantastic museum with ongoing great exhibitions. I loved 'Matisse in the 1930s' and 'Macho men' exhibitions so much. Its permanent collections are huge. I couldn't even see half of it even though I've went this museums 2 days in a row ad spent 6 hours each day.
I love impressionism so this place was like heaven. This museum also has great American Art collection which made me surprised.
There was huge collection of glass art so if you love glass art this place is must go.
Overall, this museum was one of the greatest museum in the US I've ever been to and I am planning to go back soon so I could see all of its collection.
Admission ticket is awesome because you could use 2 days in a row with paying only 1 ticket and you could go to Rodin museum for free as long as you shows the ticket from Philadelphia Museum of Art. What an awesome deal for visitors!

There was live music, you can get some light snacks or drink. They also have cafe and gift stores. They do have parking lot for visitors. I recommend buying tickets online, on first Friday of the month I think you can visit it at little cheaper than regular days.

Really beautiful and gorgeous building. One of the most beautiful exterior areas of any American museum. The ‘Rocky stairs’ and the jet fountain outside are stunning. Walking outside and seeing the skyline of Philadelphia is also spectacular. Inside, there is a beautiful collection on Impressionist art, however, I found the rest of the museum lacked the same quality. But a great collection nonetheless. Some good Picasso, Monet, and Van Gough.

I have been to The Philadelphia Museum of Art twice, but I have not yet been inside. On my most recent visit, it occurred to me that on my next visit, I'm going to make it a priority to go inside. I cannot comment on the interior of the museum; the exterior is lovely. If you are facing the museum, do not expect the Rocky Statue to be at the top of the steps. It is to the right of the steps on the street level in its own section. Everything about the exterior of the museum is exhilarating, from all of the people climbing the steps and shadowboxing, to the ornate statues, to the beautiful view of the city down Benjamin Franklin, to the endless photo and video opportunities. Even the walk down Benjamin Franklin is beautiful. Don't skip a visit to the Museum when visiting Philadelphia.

Love this place. Size is perfect. Not to big, not too small, just right. I took my husband on a date at the Museum of Art on Friday night and we had a great time. On Friday, between 5pm and 8:45pm, the admission is free (donations are welcome). The atmosphere was perfect: a live band was playing jazz music and we grabbed a drink by the steps. The museum has a huge variety of paintings and pieces of art. Artists like Picasso, Duchamp, Matisse, Renoir, Man Ray, Monet, Manet mostly find a spot on the first floor. But don’t be shy, ask the staff about specific painting and they’ll be happy to help you navigate the museum’s map.

Quite possibly the best art museum I have visited! Our group visited for a Friday "pay what you wish" evening and loved every bit of the 3 hours we spent there. We spent much of our time in the European galleries and loved the inclusion of architectural elements in the exhibits.
Our one point of disappointment is that there was an event happening with loud, modern music playing and children participating in a "trick-or-treat" scavenger hunt through the museum. While we were happy to see a unique way to invite families with young children into the museum, we thought it would have been prudent to teach the children to conduct themselves quietly in a museum rather than interacting loudly.

This museum was beautiful. There was so much to look at that we didn't have enough time to explore everything. I would recommend setting aside an entire day or a couple days to visit the museum thoroughly. I give the museum itself and their collection 5 stars. It is worth the visit. The Rocky Balboa statue is also located here so that was a fun to see as well.
Most of the staff was very friendly but some were not. We were asked by a staff member to check our umbrella at coat check while we were already almost through an exhibit but other people were walking around with the same type of umbrella and weren't asked to do so. Another staff member asked us to step away from a painting that was covered with glass and explained that we needed to stay 18 inches away but he didn't say anything to the next few people who walked up to the same painting and stood where we had been. I understand the requests however staff should be consistent and polite, and apply the requests to all visitors.

Note- the entrance at the top of the "Rocky Steps" is closed. You have to use the North/East entrances.
The printed map they provide has indicators of specific works that are renowned, so on my quick visit I made a point to see those. A huge variety of art and artifacts (American, European, Asian, Modern, etc). Helpful and friendly staff, clean restrooms, overall very respectful visitors. Highly recommend visiting this museum.

You can spend an entire day here, if you enjoy art and history!! If you are just browsing, you can go much faster, but if you like to stop and read quite a bit or just stare at pieces you like, you will want to ration out lots of time for this giant, gorgeous museum. We spent probably 5 hours and could have spent longer, but it was enough to spend time on what we wanted to see and quickly walk through the parts we were not as interested in - and we were tired by then.
Most of the items at the three gift shops we visited at the art museum were WAY overpriced, but there were sales on some of the items in the one downstairs which were more reasonable. But in general, ridiculous pricing, in my view. I'm not sure, but perhaps the museum might make more sales by lowering the cost.
The museum ticket is also fairly expensive ($30 for adults) so try to make good use of it by setting aside enough time. When you buy the ticket, you also get a free ticket to the Rodin Museum, if you go the same day or the next day. You probably don't need more than 20-30 minutes for the Rodin Museum unless you really love statues of hands and naked people, but it is also a nice place to walk through anyways, if you have some time.

Took a day trip here to check out the museum and surrounding area. The art inside and outside was amazing. The amount of statues and plaques outside on the grounds was incredible. Very detailed and historic. The grounds and buildings themselves were a sight to see. We posed near the Rocky statue and ran up the same steps he ran up in the movie. Once inside we were amazed at how grand and spectacular the displays were. One of the nicest and well laid out museums we’ve ever seen. There was a lot of areas that couldn’t be filmed so we put away our phones and just enjoyed the experience. They have a nice gift shop. There is a decent amount of paid parking and eateries in the area. We pretty much spent the whole day here.

Really nice art museum with big variety of pieces to view. It is amazing how close you can get to most pieces and view them up close. Organization of the collections is good easy to navigate your way around the building. It was nice they had free paper maps for use. Parking was easy in the underground parking garage on the property. Enter early in the day to make sure it isnt full. If using the parking garage, make sure to get your parking ticket validated in the museum as it will lower the fee by 19 dollars. Eating and beverage options inside are good with several options. There is a small beverage cafe, a sit down restaurant and a cafeteria style large cafe that include made to order options in addition to pre-made selections. While there if the weather is nice, take some time to walk the grounds and park on the north side where you can view the Schuylkill River and the house along boat row. If you are lucky there may be a growing team or two on the river for a workout. Buy tickets online as there are entry time limits and getting tickets early will allow you to get the time you want.

$30 is expensive for entry.
The organization of the museum is jumbled and lacked flow. The American art was scattered throughout, and while there was a Pollock, two Warhols, and several other great American artists, the lack of flow made it hard to appreciate. There is a great collection of circa 1900 art.
I thought the Picasso and Matisse collections were quite good. There are better impressionist exhibits elsewhere - I thought the lack of some key impressionist artists was surprising considering that's what a lot of reviews highlighted? Much of the museum was under construction. The high school kids present were not well instructed in museum behavior.

Great way to spend the day. There is parking in the back and a small lot out front. The main entrance is not accessible.
Nice range of exhibits that change out. The east Asian art and the shelter in place exhibit were definitely must sees.

I had bought my ticket in advance and I visited on a weekday, so I didn't have to wait at all.
Unfortunately I did not have enough time to explore as much as I wanted, but this museum was breathtakingly good. Not only did they have an amazing collection, they also presented it in a very well-thought setting. Each hall had its own theme related to what was inside. I enjoyed this museum more than the MET and LACMA.
Plus, their shops are not ridiculously overpriced like some other art museums.

Such a cultural historic building and area that it’s easy to just enjoy it from the outside and miss out on what’s inside! Highly recommend touring the building than taking a jog of the “Rocky” steps to get that incredible view and be part of cinema history. A must see in Philly!

It is a must visit if you’re in Philadelphia! Absolutely stunning, amazing, and awesome. The staff at the entrance and ticket sales are fantastic and friendly. I will say budget for at least four hours to really enjoy it. My favorite was the gallery. Please let me know what is your favorite. Thank you

You need at least 2-3 hours to appreciate all the beautiful art in this museum. Although it is mostly know for being the "Rocky" steps, don't skip this museum if you are an art lover.
We enjoyed the highlight guided tour. It was free with admission. There are various tours you can take. Check with the front desk for times.
Take the time to see the large rooms with the cloister, the asian section and find the dog kennel it is truly unique.

One of the most beautiful museums I've ever been to! I'm really intrigued by how some of the displays are built into the ceilings of each room. There is an investment and permanency and that design that is unusual. The parking is expensive, even with validation. Plan to spend an entire day here if you want to see everything in detail! I was there for 4 hours with a lunch break and I only got to see two floors. You need to make reservations. I recommend being the first ones there; It was so peaceful to be on the floors by myself.
