Mount Rainier National Park is a picturesque wilderness covering an area of 263,000 acres around Washington's highest peak. It boasts of wildflower meadows and glaciers that add to its breathtaking beauty. This national park is a must-visit destination for nature lovers who wish to admire the stunning views and hike the surrounding area. The magnificent landscape offers incredible photo opportunities, but it's hard to capture the full splendor in pictures alone.
Seriously!!! Wow!!! Such an amazing national park. This was our first trip to Washington state and we loved it! My wife and I hiked the silver falls trail. Unfortunately the park was closed for the winter, but we were still able to hike into the park. We will definitely be returning in the summer to enjoy the entire national park

Mt Rainier is absolutely gorgeous! It is a must visit on my list! The hiking trails by the visitor center are stunning. The drive up is also beautiful with waterfalls along it. It felt so magical being up in the clouds! I went in July and there was still snow on the trails but it made the hike more fun!
Sadie Collier — Google review
Wow this park was incredible. Views are amazing-even from the road! There were so many different hikes (our favorite was skyline trail at paradise) and you could even find hikes that were family friendly. Make sure to add this park to your bucket list. Be aware, there’s no gas stations in the park but they do have some just outside so plan accordingly.

Unbelievably beautiful! The views were amazing from all the hiking spots around Sunshine. Sourdough ridge and a few other shorter trails had great vistas, although there was too much smoke to see the peak of Mt. Rainier the day I was there.
I was thankful I had some extra layers with me, as it was very cold. It peaked at about 40F in the afternoon, despite being August. So for newbies, bring a hat and an extra jacket!
The rangers there in the morning gave fantastic tips for all the trails (and some spots to sit and sketch while avoiding damaging the delicate wildlife), and the gift shop was warm and lovely after my brisk hikes.

One of my favorite national parks. Got to visit in the fall. Our hike up was consumed by foggy mist, on the way down it cleared up though so we got to take in some of the views. A must go place!

Easily one of the most breathtaking U.S. national parks! Mount Rainier is a sight to see at least once in your life. This park is split into different sections due to the size and layout. We spent one day in Paradise and one day in Sunrise, with some stops in between. On a sunny day, you can see Mount Rainier from most places throughout the park. A cloudy day could definitely be a bummer. Unfortunately, our day in Sunrise was all cloud. There are a ton of amazing trails of various difficulties. Just do some research and pick your favorites! Be sure to get out there early so you’re not fighting for a parking spot. And try to go in the shoulder months, if possible. We opted for mid-September. Also, be mindful of the wildlife – the chipmunks will do anything for some of your food. One last thing… the elevation is a little high at points (I started feeling the effects while hiking the Skyline Trail) so just be sure to stay hydrated and take your time. I can’t wait to go back!

This is a gorgeous breathtaking national park that I had the opportunity to travel to back in 2019 and would love to go back. Every view seem to be more gorgeous than the first. I loved taking pictures here but they didn't do justice to the immense beauty. It's God country and would highly recommend going here if you hare ever in the area or just make a trip here to see it and hike the area.

20 stars!
Been here many times and it never gets old. Always something new. This time we went in June and there was still snow and ice out in places. Some roads were still closed at the top.
We wanted to see as much as possible and the waterfalls were on my list.
Wear good shoes/boots, take a camera and a jacket. Then just dive in and discover nature at its most beautiful. Literally every turn had something to offer.
I'll let the photos convince you :-)
Ps- pets NOT allowed. Wheelchair accessible mostly but not to good viewpoints.
Price is $30 per car or free if you have the Washington National Park Pass.

Visited the South side of the National Park in a couple of hours, didn't have enough time to hike much, but saw a couple different waterfalls, used some restroom, and made it to the top of the MT.Rainer base at the Paradise Inn Lodge with a dinner hall, rock fireplaces, Grand Hall, little cafe, gift shop, and 123 rooms costing either $180 or $260 per night with incredible breathtaking views. Great place to getaway, get some fresh air, and go on an adventure with breathtaking views and hiking trails!

Beautiful park! Mount Rainier is a stunning volcano towering amongst the landscape. The winding road throughout the park is so fun to drive with lush greenery for that quintessential “Washington” vibe. The clouds cleared today to reveal a bright sunny sky with stunning views. This was my second time here and just as amazing as the first!
Alycia McDuff — Google review
It was so much better than I even expected. The easily accessible hikes are pretty easy and super beautiful. The drive up to paradise is stunning and I loved all the view points. The entrance fee was $30 for a normal sized car. The roads are of course full of curves so drive carefully.
Elsie D — Google review
I will be back when the snow melts. We went peak snow days when the snow was up all the way up to their second floor of the visitor center and all the roads after that were closed. But it was absolutely amazing. Coming from Georgia where it barely snows and even if it were to, they either don't stack or doesn't last longer than a day, it was so refreshing to see so much snow and the mountains themselves were beautiful.
There are native birds there too that will fly up really close to you. It was such a great experience.
Also, make sure you have snow chains ready because they will check at the gate during snow seasons.

Mount Rainier National Park is a place of breathtaking natural beauty and awe-inspiring magnificence. Located in the state of Washington, it is home to the iconic Mount Rainier, a towering stratovolcano that dominates the landscape and captivates visitors with its majestic presence.

One of the most scenic drives I’ve been on—I’ve been to most of the lower 48. This park is massive, not overly crowded and a nature photographers paradise. All times of day, all lighting, it just stands out like one giant masterpiece of snowy peaks and lush wooded passes. If you get the chance to go, do not hesitate.
Peter Templeton — Google review
STUNNING. This was one of my best days on my trip nor my life. I loved the climbing and site seeing in this park. this is one of the best parks in the US and my favorite by far, maybe almost as good as Yellowstone. The amazing views from this mountain are so amazing and the multiple areas to go off and explore for your self are just as good.

Mount Rainier is spectacular, with all the gorgeous views for which you might hope. Paradise Visitor Center is very well done, with great information, a good film, and a handy base for the nearby day hike trails. The trails themselves are well kept and well marked. We encountered a ranger who was literally shoveling steps in the snow to make passing through easier.
Bret Fynewever — Google review
Easily one of my favorite national parks for the vertical hikes, wildflowers, and the meeting of rock and flowing water.
The paradise loop hike that goes through panoramic point is a top to hike two hike of all time for me (most pictures from there).

Breathtaking park. We went in the middle of October and the weather was perfect. Some of the roads were already closed, as well as some of the ranger stations. Overall a very good park.
Krystal Woda — Google review
Holy Moly that’s the most impressive mountain I have ever seen. Whether it’s from Seattle or the base in the park. The drive up to Paradise went through some impressive stands of forest on the way up to many scenic pullovers and waterfalls. I had limited time and chose to hike up the Skyline trail from the visitor Center. Three of my favourite things in the natural world, an impressive mountain, glaciers, and waterfalls. All in one breathtaking view. The trail up was paved but steep. Amazing views in all directions. A gem in the National Park system.

I absolutely love hiking at Mount Rainier National Park. I grew up in Washington, and seeing the mountain in the distance. It is such a majestic place. I moved to Arizona and miss seeing and exploring the mountain.
Chris Knight — Google review
Beautiful park that is a two hour drive ish from Seattle. Be sure to get there early because there will be huge line of people trying to get in. We got there around 9 and it took over an hour to get to the gate. There also might be people along the line trying to sell you some cherries. Place is beautiful but when going in the summer it will be crowded at all the easy to access place which might be a turn off for some. Lots of wildlife to see as you pass by which is really fun
Kelly Low — Google review
Breathtaking! Lots of trails with different difficulties. Very easy to drive around during spring and summer. I went for a picnic but you cannot sit at most sites and eat, so I found a remote spot and had a picnic in my trunk
Huma Farooq — Google review
The mountain was amazing. I went in early August, and it was great. It's a very popular national park, so expect a lot of people, but not very many parking spots. The visitor centers are quite crowded, and the food isn't that great, to be completely honest. The views were nice, and it wasn't that difficult of a hike to get up to the scenic areas. The animals are quite used to people and will approach you regardless of whether you have food or not. But remember to not feed them, because they will start depending on people for their food, rather than naturally scavenging it. If you see any small rock cairns near the river, knock them over, as they are unnatural to the environment. It's fine to build them, just make sure to knock it over after.
DaBaby — Google review
Absolutely amazing! My only regret is that I didn’t have more time. Hiking was incredible and unforgettable.

Must visit places in your lifetime. I couldn't believe my eyes were watching that scenic beauty. The mount rainier is so huge. It was looking so beautiful covered in snow.

A very beautiful park! Very nice views and fun trails. A couple cool waterfalls you can check out if you follow the right trails. I recommend snow shoes and hiking poles when it has snowed.

Heard the road opened up and had to make a trip to Colchuck. We started our day very early at 5:40AM with only about 6 other cars total in the parking lot. Right from the start the trail is pretty muddy and wet. The trail is already pretty rocky a good portion of the way so having the rocks super wet didn't make it easy all the time. There are also a good amount of blowdowns from trees which I'm guessing is from a bunch of snow but most of the blowdowns were pretty manageable to navigate around. Most of the snow on the hike was packed down pretty nice but some could be pretty easy to just fall through. Having All Trails helps just in case you lose the trail with the snow. We got to the lake in 2 hours and spent a good hour just hanging out and watching the sun come up. We didn't make our way over to Asgard but from where we were it didn't look very safe. There were some backpackers that were going to make the trip up today so I hope they made it okay or just decided to hang at the lake. The lake is still mostly frozen but still as beautiful as ever. We decided to count the number of people coming up on the way down and saw 42 people total coming up and only 2 at the lake total. Make sure you are prepared and make sure to wear some boots or shoes that are waterproof. Round trip today was 9.7 miles and 2,333.

Have hiked this hike multiple times and never ceases to amaze me! Through the different seasons it's always offering something different. Would highly suggest late Spring or early Fall to do the traverse when conditions are the best! Also arrange a shuttle through loopconnectorshuttle.com that way you don't have to bring two cars and your car will be waiting for you at the end of the hike. Also plan on getting started early around 5AM to avoid the crowds!
Jordan Head — Google review
This is one of the best view that I’ve seen on a hike but also one of the hardest hikes I’ve done. This is a 9mile round trip the first 2 miles are fairly easy, can’t say the same for the rest. A lot of bugs, especially in the morning and night, also the last 3 miles getting to the trailhead is an unpaved gravel road with lots of potholes.

Caution :
As of 10/17, There is a lot of ice / snow up there , and strong winds so if you are not prepared mentally and physically, and also with gears, you are putting yourself at risk. Also some of the lakes are frozen by now. Stay with your hiking buddy. My friend slipped into a creek / boulder, and i had to pull him out.
My hike :
1. Me and other two friends parked at Snow TH and drove to Stuart TH in 1 car at 3 am on Sat morning. Finding parking was not difficult at this hour.
2. Started from Stuart TH at 4 am and reached Snow TH at 11 pm. A total of 19 hours.
3. Our speed was average. Kind of fast walking and no running. We took 10 ish 5-10 mins break overall. We used these to stretch, rest, eat and photograph.
Route / Gear :
It lives up to its name. The lakes were stunning and a few of them were frozen. It was very windy and icy at times. Items we actually used - crampons, wind jacket, extra layer for cold, gloves, face gaiters, good waterproof boots, snow gaiters, headlamp, hiking poles. You definitely want to carry the 10 essentials and also things like blister patches since 23 miles of the day hike will surely give you some hardship. In addition me and my buddies carried walkie talkie so we were always in touch since there is no phone network. We also carried Sat phones. Bear spray, knife also provided extra safety in the wilderness.
Preparation:
I am no trail runner and i never hiked before this summer in my entire life. I knew what i am putting myself through. From last three months , every Saturday, I picked a hard hike to gain stamina. Hikes like mailbox, sahale arm, blanca, mt. baldy etc. That really helped me build confidence. You should also know how to use your gear if you are new to hiking world. Eg, test your rain jacket in your neighborhood, try to use that water filter on an easy hike, read the fine instructions on emergency gear like snake bite kit etc..
Overall, a memorable experience. Thanks to everyone else who posted their experiences and helped shape mine.
Gaurav Jindal — Google review
Some might say that is is 18 miles but it is a solid 21 mile hike. The views were totally worth it. I completed this hike in one day and although when you get to the top of the mountain you think you are almost done, but your not. I would definitely do this hike again though.
Alisa Berton — Google review
Beautiful hike through a portion of the Cascade mountains. Although the Eight Mile Lake Trail is popular in the summer for day hikers, if you can manage to secure an overnight permit (applications are in February through the National Park Service), overnight camping provides a seculded experience.

If you are one of the lucky ones and have the opportunity to get out in this wonderful part of the PNW take advantage!
Best in the early fall but great whenever you have the chance!
Unbelievable vistas! I can't wait to go back!

Loved the walk crawl run of 25 miles through the heavenly beauty of enchantments for 14 hours, it's hard to get permit for camping, so best time to do it in a day or is early in month of September.

A magical place to visit. The hike is harder than usual, but the rewards are worth it. We got to the trailhead at 3 am with headlamps to catch sunrise at the lake. It's a well traveled trail with lots of beauty and wildlife. I can't wait to get a camping permit so I can can visit the rest of the Enchantments.

A true PNW gem! One of the greatest trails in Washington. Beautiful alpine lakes, the steep accent up Aasgard Pass and the otherworldly terrain of the enchantment basin will blow you away.
Great short hike with plenty of spots to take some great photos. Highly recommended!

Nicely shaded scenic trail with several spots to view and photograph the falls. The trail is well maintained with two options with obstacles or without. Super easy and short little hike.

Beautiful spot on our way from Surrey to Leavenworth. Multiple scenic points n well maintained trail . There is a fallen tree just before the final stop point near the falls. We managed to cross it n enjoyed the falls

Kid friendly, super short hike, beautiful falls and as most reviewers mentioned cars can be parked roadside also when parking is closed. Has few picnic benches at the beginning of the trial. Small foot bridge over the falls stream makes it even more beautiful.

Very well maintained recreation area with an easy trail leading to Deception Falls and multiple viewpoints across the river - including an older river bed. Super easy 0.6 mile kids-friendly trail directly accessible from the parking lot (left side of the road when you drive east).

If you're going over Stevens pass and want to take a break to stretch your legs, this is the perfect place with plenty of parking and two bathrooms. The added bonus is a super short hike with amazing views of the river and falls, combined with a small walking bridge and amazing forest canopy you must stop and see this breath taking trail.

Always stop here even when parking lot closed. Thank heavens it is open now and so are the vault toilets. A fantastic stop. Not just the falls but the trails. Go for the spring run off the power of the water is amazing.

Beautiful hike. Easy access off of highway 2. Public restrooms are available. Some of the picturesque views do require you to walk up or down some stairs, but easy walk. The falls are amazing to see and the trails are well maintained. Definitely a worth stop.

It is so beautiful and peaceful!! We were staying in Skykomish and came across deception falls. Very easy hike with amazing views of the falls, streams, and forest. I have back issues and was able to do the whole loop with no issues. There are restrooms in the parking lot, and the trail takes you in a loop, so you end back in the same parking lot, taking either entrance. If you are in the area, I recommend it!

I absolutely love this trailhead! It is hidden away on the left side of highway 2 just as you're about to ascend into Steven's Pass. The waterfall is so stunning, and I love the beautiful bridges, trails and trees that flourish here. I can't wait to go back and can only imagine how serene it is in the winter time.

This place is absolutely incredible. Hard to believe it’s right off the highway and have these views to yourself in less than two minutes! Small set of stairs and an easy-to-navigate walking trail. This spot is so accessible it would be a total waste to pass it up! Make the stop, you won’t regret it!

Sprawling park with campsites & trails encompasses lakes, rivers, forest & a 256-ft. waterfall.
We went today on a bright and sunny day, it was crowded and parking lot was full and people parked on road sides, luckily we got it in parking lot itself. We went to both lower and middle falls with my 6 years old kid, he was able to trek all the way on his own. It's 4.2 miles trekking to and fro for middle falls. You'll get the best view in the middle falls and along with that we enjoyed the awesome weather as well. Decent rest rooms and tables to have food as well. You need Discover park to park the vehicles, pets allowed as well.

Amazingly maintained trails!!
1. Experience:
The hike was quite easy till lower falls with a mix of uphill and downhill slopes. But the elevation starts increasing afterwards with frequent steep patches till upper falls.
The trail was amazingly serene with the sound of the stream at the beginning and waterfalls after the lower falls.
It was totally covered with trees so didn’t face any problem even though I went on a sunny day.
2. Trail conditions:
Now coming to the trail, it was well maintained with directions, markings and rest areas (like benches) provided throughout. I took about 4 hours to finish with my beginner to intermediate hiking skills.
3. Parking & amenities:
Parking spaces available are decent but there could be issues with parking on a busy day. Discovery pass is required. Washrooms are neat and clean. They also have information center and seating areas nearby.
Overall highly recommended!!!

Easy hike until right before you get to the falls. Then the hard part comes. There’s two waterfalls you can get to and both are gorgeous. We went more like 7 miles accidentally but whatever
Jordan Pischke — Google review
One of my favorite quick and easy hikes. Get there early as the parking lot does fill up quickly, especially in the summer. The trail is well maintained, but it does get muddy in the spring or after rains. Not challenging but a good pay off.
David G — Google review
Hiked Wallace Falls today and it was beautiful to say the least. The trail itself was well groomed. Granted, I went when the weather was dry and hot but come spring or fall, the trail could get slick given some of the steep terrain. Not an easy hike but not a killer hike either. The switchbacks are rough for sure but maybe not a good hike if you're a beginner or out of shape. Lots a great views along the Wallace and both the middle and upper falls have picturesque opportunities with either trail option. It's a popular hike and parking gets limited really quick so come early and beat the rush. Props to the park officials for keeping the trail clean.
Mario Coronado — Google review
Wallace Falls is about 5.6 miles round trip, with a ton of elevation gain (1,500 feet) that happens sometimes gradually and sometimes not. There are three main falls to admire, the lower, middle, and upper falls. You come up on the lower falls pretty quickly because there’s not a ton of elevation gain to get there. You can stop about a mile from the upper falls and enjoy the middle falls if you don’t want to complete the whole hike which is what we did. We visited in January so it was pretty cold, but surprisingly it wasn’t a muddy trail. Everything was extremely well maintained, but I would still suggest wearing a good pair of hiking boots to provide you with extra support.
Erika Melby — Google review
Beautiful well maintained hiking places suitable for family hikes. If you look forward to go blend with the nature and enjoy the rain forest experience, visit Wallace falls during the February and March to enjoy the natural beauty of water falls, river and hike.
Saju Vallikkat — Google review
Great location for hiking. I recommend to bring enough water and food, there are no cafes or fast food there.
The path to the falls is going through the forest and it will take about 1,5-2 hours to get the Middle Falls.
The nature is beautiful and you can enjoy not only the falls, but also mountain river, lake and lush forest.
Olga Wiley — Google review
This park offers several trails, but you're probably interested in the Woody Trail to Wallace Falls. You'll enter a dense forest, follow a scenic river, then climb up some hills and cross some bridges as you catch some amazing views of a series of waterfalls. Like most visitors, I hiked to the Middle Falls Overlook and head back, which is about a 5 mile trip. It's the most scenic of the vista points. The hike, the forest, and the falls were all amazing!
The trail is only mildly steep for the most part and very well maintained - you don't have to be an expert to make it up. You'll have plenty of company though - this is a popular spot.
You need a Discovery Pass to park, which you can buy in advance or on the machine at the lot. Parking is TOUGH! I barely snagged a spot since I got there in the late morning, even though it was a weekday. Overflow parking is quite a long walk away, so get here early and good luck on weekends.
Christopher Roman — Google review
This is perfect place for a great family hike. We did the lower and middle falls, which is 4.2 miles in total. We reached there around 9:30 am and luckily found a parking in the main lot. If you do not find parking, there are opportunities to do roadside parking. Going up is mostly uphill, it is not too steep but can be challenging for kids and you may need to make stops in between. The views are fantastic, specially at the middle falls. There is a picnic shelter at the lower falls.
Arjun Bardhan — Google review
Beautiful trail. It’s a very famous hike so the parking lot will almost always be packed especially on the weekends. The entire trail is well maintained. I clocked in roughly 5 miles all the way to the upper falls and back to the trailhead. It’s totally worth it in my opinion to push through to the upper falls. The trail is quite steep at some points. Make sure to take your breaks in between. Lots of benches spread throughout. Make sure to stay on the trail as there are steep drops especially from the viewpoints. Discover pass is required!

The reason why I only gave 4 stars first is because there is a high-voltage line at the beginning of the trail road to the waterfall.
You can accompany your dog and the daily fee is $10.00. Of course, it's worth it, the signs are so good, and there are benches everywhere, so it was so nice to take a rest.
The uphill is a bit steep, so it can be a bit difficult for the elderly.
It's 4 miles round trip from the parking lot to the lower fall and it's a highly recommended trail.

Great hike with scenic views.
While it can get crowded, going in the morning hours will help you avoid the trail traffic.
Be prepared for uphill climbs.

This was a perfect hike for a typical PNW day. The trail is well maintained, views all the way along so no pressure for those who aren’t super hikers. The trail is mostly in the woods so even in the rain and wind it was a very pleasant hike. We got to “middle falls” before deciding to turn around. Some steep sections but nothing crazy. Great little hike! Facilities at the parking area were clean and well kept, parking was easy (don’t forget your discover pass), we brought our dog and he met lots of other friends along the route.

despite it being a bit challenging for me due to arthritis in my right knee, the journey was absolutely worth it. The hike offered beautiful scenery at every turn. I managed about 1 1/2 hours of walking and, although we didn't make it to the falls this time, what we experienced was gorgeous. Hoping to one day reach the falls, but I'm already grateful for the stunning views we encountered.

This hike was incredible!! Highly recommended - I did it alone and felt overwhelmed at first (bc I was the first one on the trail) but then found another hiker and it made me feel better. Incredible views!!

Beautiful hike with well mantained trails. Several nice view of yhe falls along the way. Good workout. Went in the snow for first time, amazing.

Large parking lot, which is great for big vehicles. We went to the upper falls, which was around 5.0 miles round-trip. Our dogs enjoyed the small crowds and the many places to stop and get a drink. Beautiful waterfalls and such an amazing view! There are a few spots where the step up and downs are pretty steep. At the top, it is misty so the ground can make the roots slippery. Make sure to watch your step. We enjoyed the hiking trails at this state park!

Beautiful hike , lots of parking 2.5 hours round trip to the upper falls . Not a hard hike. Kid and dog friendly
Operating since 1889, this landmark saloon offers brews, pub grub & live music in cheery surrounds.
We came here based on previous reviews (particularly the ones that mentioned that this place was freedom loving). Loved seeing the faces of the waitstaff and patrons! Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We brought our kids and had a great time.

The burgers were great, the rosemary shoestring fries also! Very busy when we got there at 1:30pm, but service was attentive, and as the lunch crowd disappeared, the owner chatted with us. The town is historic, a mining area. The inside of the building is... old brick! Enjoyed our lunch a lot in "Cicely Alaska"

I used to hit the Brick several times a year after biking or hiking and it was always good. Covid came along and I hadn't been in in over 3 years. I'm happy to report that even on a very busy Memorial day weekend Saturday, the food was better than ever and the beer selection was great!

The quality of the food and the service here was phenomenal! Whatever they put in that soup made it the best soup I’ve ever had in a restaurant anywhere I’ve ever traveled in the world. Thank you for an amazing dining experience and I can assure you that next time we come through Washington we will plan our trip around stopping here again. Thank you from Idaho.

What can I say about the Brick? It is the quintessential, old school saloon - it has everything one could wish for and in a classic setting!
Great atmosphere, food is excellent, drinks menu amazing and everything to the best quality. Pool tables and sports on TV if you want it, comfortable place for drinks and/or food (including a quieter, set-off restaurant area), and a great view from the front over the town's main streets. Fancy live music? There's that too, on the weekends!
The staff are friendly, super efficient, and all around brilliant! Special shout out to Scotty, Franny, and Matty in particular - we frequented the establishment for a few days in a row and they were just fantastic! Made our stay in town truly pleasant and memorable.

I really liked this place, and will be planning on coming back. The history as a local landmark is really cool. I got their fire burger which was good, though not as spicy hot as I was hoping it to be.
The bathrooms were pretty small, but these old buildings can only do so much. Super cool spot.

We came to the Brick because we were in Seattle visiting family. We thought, hey, let's go to Cicily Alaska! We love Northern Exposure. There was no way to resist coming to see the town. My only disappointment is that The Brick didn't have any shirts with "I Hit The Brick" on them.

We had a great time. The place was great, the food was delicious and the staff was friendly but a little slow. But that is to be expected in the dinner hour.

I had dinner break at Roslyn at The Brick Saloon and it exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was lit and service here is fantastic. We were confused about which drinks to try so the waiter gave us some sample draft beer. To my wow "Mac and Jack Africa Amber Ale" was really a discovery.
The food here is above average but not what I would call amazing. I ordered a Cicely Chicken Sandwich with an onion ring as a side. Both were very average. My friend had Black Bean Burger with waffle fries. The burger was very good, but the fries were oily. But given such a small town, this place really shines.

We spent several hours in The Brick while watching UW and The Kraken. Long enough to have 2 meals! Jamie was our server/bartender/all-around awesome human and she was fabulous. Hats off, Brick. You made us feel right at home and we appreciate it.

Cool little old pub in Roslyn, oldest still running saloon on the west coast apparently. Couple of pool tables. Good food. The brisket sandwich was great. Employees were all very nice and service was good. The atmosphere was great. Feels there's been a lot of good times in that bar. Lots of good vibes! Go check it out.

Place was packed and a bit hectic when we arrived but the staff was still pleasant and helpful. Our waiter Scotty was great! He communicated clearly and often while trading the right amount of teasing banter. Food was wonderful as always, with a tasty Cuban and a couple summer salads being the superstars.
The Reptile Zoo is a well-kept and spacious facility that offers hands-on experiences with various reptiles such as lizards, snakes, and an albino alligator. Tortoises, turtles, iguanas, crocodiles, African bullfrogs, and tarantulas are among the creatures available for viewing. The staff is friendly and each reptile has personal details displayed. Visitors can also browse through the small gift shop upon entering.
I love this location and so does my son! We are big reptile fans and this place just keeps getting better and better over the years. They have a wondeful selection of reptiles. Staff always friendly and informative. Great location for all ages and close to home,.

Smaller than I imagined, but fit lots of different reptiles inside the exhibits. You can go through this in an hour maybe two if you take your time.
Most exhibits are harder to see through and needs updating, which I think is happening soon.
Still had a good exhibits and worth the price.

I highly recommend visiting this reptile zoo, but be sure to dress comfortably as it can get quite warm inside, which is perfect for the reptiles. I was thrilled to see the diverse range of reptiles, and it was an unforgettable experience to touch a snake for the first time and come face to face with a crocodile. These creatures are truly magnificent. While I wished the facility was better maintained and provided more spacious habitats for the animals, I understand the financial constraints involved. Overall, it's a worthwhile visit for any reptile enthusiast.

Neat and tidy, organized and spacious inside. Lots of snakes, tortoises, turtles, lizards and iguanas. A few crocodiles, African bull frog, tarantulas too! Most of the tortoises and a python were open for petting. Our 6 and 10 year olds were amazed. Good value for the entry fee. Worth spending two hours with those amazing creatures.

Went with my 4.5 year old and he absolutely loved it! We got to pet a few turtles which was nice. And so many different snakes. Which was kinda cool to learn about them, since I’m absolutely petrified of them but knew my son would love to go. All the way home, all he could talk about was the Reptile Zoo and how cool it was. Will definitely come back again.

DO NOT BELIEVE the lower star reviews. Bunch of vegan hippies who worship peta and post bad reviews for normal zoos. Anyways - I loved this place. The people are awesome and I saw no signs of neglect. Everything looked clean and there was definitely enough room for them considering they are rescues and unable to live in the wild. Take your kids! Not only is there tons of cool information to read as you ago, the gift shop has great prices and it’s a very fun experience

We spotted this place as we driving through Monroe WA.
We went back to check it out.
Admissions fee $10.96 and it is a Self Tour, but at 5pm they have a “feeding tour” which is included in the entrance fee.
Be prepared as it is a bit humid in temperature for the comfort of the reptiles and other creatures to be comfortable.
Lot’s of cool creatures to see.

Filled with reptiles and bugs from around the world, it is highly educational and allows people to be up close to nature's amazing diversity. Absolutely LOVE IT!

We had a fantastic time visiting the Reptile Zoo! The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and they took the time to answer all of our questions. The variety of animals was great, and all of the reptiles seemed healthy and happy. We especially enjoyed seeing the black tortoises, which were huge and majestic. Our children were also really engaged and excited to learn about all of the different reptiles.
The only downside to our visit was that we live out of state and won't be able to come back anytime soon. However, we would definitely recommend the Reptile Zoo to anyone who is interested in learning more about reptiles or who is looking for a fun and educational outing for the family.

My partner and I are from South Eastern BC and would often travel to Monroe for Formula Drift; every time we passed this business I would comment how I wanted to stop there. We had travelled to Seattle in early October 2023 for my birthday and were travelling the day of my birthday so we decided to stop in at the Reptile Zoo. Not sure how we managed to plan it this perfectly, but we got there right at feeding time on a Friday. We toured through with another group and watched majority of the reptiles get fed which was a super cool experience! The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and you can tell he was very passionate about his reptiles; he shared a story / a memory about each and every one of the reptiles there with us. As someone who has owned several snakes in the past, I can confirm that the reptiles did not appear to be uncomfortable or in distress, as some other reviews may suggest. This was definitely an amazing way to spend my birthday and we will absolutely be stopping in again the next time we are in the area!!

The Reptile Zoo was actually a lot bigger than I thought it would be. I brought my 2 year old and we were there for a whole hour. They can pet some of the tortoises, which is neat! Also, this is not a glorified pet shop – there are black mambas! It's super cool seeing the most dangerous snakes in the world.

My kid had fun. We saw exotic animals.
They all look3d so miserable and sad. They looked neglected. The building looked like it was borderline condemable. There was spider webs everywhere. Hazards galore. Plugs and metal and water combined. An unlocked snapping turtle cage. Rotting food in cages no water in hot cages crowded with little to no supervision. People tapping and banging on glass. Unsafe kids area with lights held by duck tape. Dirty very gross cages. Oil water. Blocked fire extinguishers. Rotting ceilings. Literally dripped water and debry onto me personally. It is so gross so sad and so dangerous. But your kids might love it. Never again. Never ever again. Should be shut down!!!!!

We had an amazing time at the reptile zoo. My daughter was able to pet a snake and a crocodile. The experience was priceless and the admission is worth the price! Friendly staff! We would go back for sure!

Great service very friendly staff (Erin, Lauren and everyone who served us were amazing) but the food was just not in par. Except the morrocan chicken dish that was alright, everything else tasted bad and over cooked. They even messed up the oysters by adding a creamy sauce. Wine selection is limited so consider taking your own favorite bottles and pay the fork fees.
Chopped salad sauce was over powering. Chicken was overcooked. Halibut fish tasted bland and over cooked too. With all due respect the chef needs to put more efforts and get some culinary lessons.

I've been here twice and it wasn't as great the 2nd round. Though customer service was great.. got us in last minute. What wasn't great was the meals. It was very expensive. Kiddos didn't like the mac and cheese. The beet salad was the only thing I liked. (King salmon was dry) Husband got a ribeye steak and he said it wasn't quality cut. The truffle fries were ok. Overall - we won't return to eat dinner. Maybe appetizers and drinks.. but that would be another review.

We recently photographed Jordan & Taylor's wedding at Suncadia + Swiftwater, and all we can say is WHOA. This place starts off by grabbing you with the expansive views and stunning lodge, but going through the motions of an entire wedding day, we saw every tiny detail done PERFECTLY. The way this place, alongside Suncadia Resort, executed our couple's vision, was rather incredible to watch. Can't recommend this location and staff enough to host your wedding!

I cannot overstate how beautiful this place is!! Our family came to sled in the back and they were very accommodating to our group. The staff is very friendly, and the food delicious, for adults and the children in our group. The hot chocolate is delicious! The pulled pork sandwich and the truffle Mac n cheese is delicious. The Flatbreads were a decent size and shareable. The chicken strip were the perfect crispiness according to the adults in the group. We got to sit by an open fire and dry our coats while watching a football game. Food is delicious, staff so very kind and friendly. They were happy to tell us where the best sledding is and make us hot cocoas. Thank you Swiftwater Cellars for giving us such a great experience!

We absolutely loved the Swiftwater. Hoist restaurant was beautifully decorated. Wonderful ambiance and service. The food, oh the food. The best meal, without a shadow of a doubt, we’ve had in literal years. The servers are all knowledge and friendly. We loved it here! Came for wine tasting and lunch and then back for dinner.
The staff is sweet and attentive and the wine pours are generous so you get what you pay for.
The flat breads are delicious ( Brie and raspberry)
SWC salad was delicious and super refreshing. The chicken was grilled so nice.
For dinner we had Gnocchi and and flatbread and again sooooooo delicious and flavourful. Dessert doesn’t disappoint either!

Overall a very good experience. It is a little bit loud in the main dining area but that didn't bother us. There is a choice of outside seating with a beautiful view. Flat bread was one of the best I've had. Wagyu beef brisket was amazing. My wife had salmon which was an off the menu special. It was very well prepared. Our server, after taking our order, was nowhere to be found. It wasn't a problem because other servers were more than happy to bring us what we needed.

Unfortunately this restaurant disappointed on almost every front. The restaurant design is big, open, and very loud. Giant TV for sports. If looking for family friendly, maybe ok, but definitely not for a date night. And prices are very high for a family place.
Food was awful and made us sick. The wine was pretty good, so gave 1 extra star.

What a neat place! The vibes are immaculate, especially with the holiday decorations. We tried the Seasonal and No. 9 flights and loved every variety. The charcuterie was pretty good for the price but the summer sausage felt like a low-value filler. The mushroom and lentil soup was so good as well!! A beautiful winter experience. The staff were all super friendly and the building and bathrooms were very clean. Love that they are dog friendly too! Will definitely be back the next time I’m in the area and will definitely be recommending this spot to my friends and family!

Our waiter told us that they recently added the Chicken Piccata to their menu, and boy am I glad that they did. This was hands down one of the best chicken dishes I've ever had. The chicken was perfectly breaded and the sauce that covered the chicken and potatoes still has my mouth watering.
The group I was with also got a plethora of appetizers, desserts, and drinks which were all outstanding. I personally had the Manhattan which was my favorite (of many) while in Washington for a few days. Can't wait to return some day!
Decided to take a day trip for new years eve and explore downtown Snohomish. Some of the shops were closed but we were able to do some shopping and grab some food. We absolutely loved the feel of the town and loved the local history of the area. It didn't take me long to understand this is the land of antique stores. Not only are they on every corner, they are huge, with different vendor booths in them.
Apparently it the mecca for antiques in Seattle North Country.
They serious love coffee and pastries...in one area there was a bakery/coffee shop on all 4 sides of an intersection.
Great town for a girls weekend.

This place is very cool for a day of window shopping and some lunch. Parking can be a bit tricky and most of the stores aren't stroller friendly. It doesn't deter me from coming back but something to keep in mind. You'll have to leave the stroller outside or in the car while you carry the little ones. The older kids can be taken down to the water to throw some sticks into the river. Quaint little place.

Snoqualmie Falls is a well-known and scenic waterfall, standing at 270 feet tall and surrounded by a 2-acre park. Visitors can enjoy the breathtaking view from an observation deck or venture down to the lower viewing platform. The site is easily accessible by car, located just 40 minutes away from Seattle, with free parking available on the other side of the road or paid parking closer to the site.

Nice falls. Had a great trek on a trail, it is a little steep but worth the trek. The views from top and foot of the falls are great. Great spot for some quite time or just to have a beer river side. Sometimes too many people could make it disturbing but generally it is a peaceful place.

Stunning views! Visiting from out of state and just happened to stumble upon this amazing waterfall. You can view the falls from a lookout above or you can follow the trail and see the falls from below. Ample parking in the later evening. The hike down to the lower viewing was pretty steep. Paid parking right in front but free parking across the street.

The place is beautiful, the trails are expansive, and there is a place to buy gifts and food. If you are going to walk the trails, please be mindful that what goes down must come up. Save your energy for your trip back up, or you will end up very tired. There are a lot of steep parts to the trails, so those parts are not for inexperienced walkers. Please obtain a map or something if this is a concern.

Today was a beautiful day to see this! Absolutely breathtaking. Some of the stairs are closed off from the upper lot but just walk down a different path and you'll catch the 1/2 mile trail sign. Coming back up might be difficult for some, if you started from the upper lot. I'd recommend parking at the lower lot and walk along the trail/bridge (4th picture) to get to the falls.

We visited the falls on our vacation to Seattle. We came on a Friday afternoon at around 2 pm. Had a good amount of foot traffic but not terribly busy. Enjoyed the falls as it is a popular tour destination. Interesting to see its history. Worth seeing if you are in the area. Nice little park area to sit or enjoy a small picnic covered by trees. Nice plants around the area too. They have a gift shop full of souvenirs and books and such. Also a coffee/snack shop with ice cream. We were there for about 1-1.5 hrs. Google maps will take you to a restricted access road. Follow the local signs when you are there.

Not only is the drive up to Snoqualmie Falls incredibly refreshing to look at, you feel the difference in the air quality of the mountains immediately. This waterfall is absolutely breathtaking!!! The preservation of nature after years of using the waters power for electricity is 👌👌👌
The trail down to the lower falls is easy enough the whole family can most likely handle it ( steady incline on the way back up) . If you have the time to stay or dine at Salish Lodge you can’t go wrong there either.

Beautiful scenery! Simply breathtaking. The view is amazingly calming. For a Saturday parking was bad at all. We paid $8.30 for 2 hours. The only thing is that it’s scan to pay. The waterfall is easily seen from the top and couple other watch points. We hiked down and found a beautiful place where we sat on the rocks and let the kids play in the water . Totally worth the trip!

I’m from the east coast. Yes we have Niagara Falls, but the west coast is just so much better. This was one of the most unique and interesting places I have been. I was in Seattle for work but snuck in a few trips here and there to check things out. This was so worth the drive out there. The trees in the area are huge, nothing like what have on the east coast. The falls a big, the sound and mist are very beautiful. If you are anywhere near Seattle make the trip here to see them. The walk from the parking area is very easy. Walking to the bottom of the falls is not. One must be in decent shape to make it down and back up again. Take your time, stop and enjoy the sights, and soak up a little nature.

In terms of waterfalls it's not that big, but the surrounding nature is very beautiful. There is a paved walkway to admire the waterfall but there is also a moderate to kind of severe hike to the bottom of the falls that is not paved. Just some dirt and rocks and it can get pretty steep at some points.
I wouldnt call it steep to where it's dangerous but it is steep enough to where the average person might have difficulties walking down and return back uphill.
Someone in my group in her 50s did it in flip flops and I saw multiple children so it though, so it is possible.
The hike is totally worth it to see all the trees and wonderful sights along the way.

Very pretty falls. Bring your walking shoes has a great hike to the lower level. Windy hold on to your hat and phone. (Speaking from experience)
Restored 1890 depot showcasing artifacts from the age of rail, including locomotives & cars.
Definitely a place to take your kids! I came on a quiet weekend and wasn't crowded at all. My first time here was when my grandparents took me on my first stream locomotive ride through here.
A saw mill rail cart initially caught my eye and I wanted to check it out. The tree was a nice 10-12 feet across. It's pretty spectacular that there was so much old growth that was that big back in the day. Back at the depot, they have an assortment of engines and passenger cars that you can take a look at. There is also a book store and museum!
If you want to take a walk, head west along the main road (there is a walking trail) and you'll come across a lot of vintage rail engines with interesting histories and purposes.
On the weekends after April to December, they offer train rides that I believe go down to Snoqualmie falls from the North Bend depot that pass through here. A Thomas train and a Christmas train also run at other times of the year.

if you ever visited Seattle and missed this place, you’re definitely missing big attraction. This is absolutely gorgeous attraction in that area. Kind of remind you back your childhood.
I recommend plan your trip and buy your tickets and advance. You’ll be shocked to see a lot of people over the weekend Wanna come and visit this attraction with their family. .
there are a lot of good hiking places waterfall parks around this area so don’t rush when you come here. Enjoy mother nature in full extent.
I only visited once, but my kids are ready to go back again also one of the best fall scenic view around this area so much colorful can even explain

We came to see the 924 on a steam train weekend recently and had a great ride. Unfortunately our ride started a bit late, so our time at the train shed (the more museum like part) was cut pretty short. We still had fun exploring and just riding the train though. We would have liked to learn more about the train we were on, but apparently that's not part of the package (at least for those steam train versions.) A great day either way! It was nice to see Snoqualmie Falls at one end of the line and grab a few pictures through the trees.

The museum is nice and it has old artifacts and items from when it was built. It also had some stories to tell which really intrigued us. We didn't get a chance to ride the train but we explored the place and read the history of it. It's definitely one of the great stops you can take at the town.
Parking is plentiful you just have to be lucky to get a close one to the town or have to walk for a bit.

We enjoyed the place with the kids. Nice trip. We took the train from Snoqualmie Depot. It was a round trip first we went to snoqualmie falls and then the museum and North bend & return to the snoqualmie depot total 2 hours return journey. The kids enjoyed it a lot.

Nice historic place in the downtown with old train engines parked here, kids can enjoy the view of the train engines, you can spend 30 to 40 minutes here. My kid enjoyed seeing the large train engines, also there is a room where toy trains are kept for kids, outside you can see good fall colors as well. Parking lot is right opposite the museum on the road side itself.

I'd like to start by thanking the very kind woman at the desk! We were late to our scheduled time. Without us asking, she offered to get us on the next day! Next..... The entire town, especially the little area the train's located in was just so cool!
The train ride itself was so tranqil and what beautiful scenery. Highly recommend!

My son and I had a great time together. I wish the website indicated the schedule for it'll be two hours ride for thomas the tank engine

I would not say this train ride was worth the price. To me, it almost felt like a train ride with no destination. We basically just rode to the top of the falls, and then returned back towards the station, stopped at the museum, dropped people off at their station, and headed back to our station to get off. The museum was quite small and you could get through it fairly quickly. I think the only reason the trip takes a while is because the train moves slowly and stops a couple of times. I’d recommend walking through all the cars because there’s some pretty cool ones and some that are in rough shape. Pretty sure kids would enjoy this more than adults.

Its a good place for kids to experience and see the train system. My kiddo enjoyed it as she was sitting in the train for the first time, they have 1 hr train ride which is okay but I feel its bit pricier as compare to the offerings because not great views at train route except snowqualmie falls and a 30 min stop at little train museum but kids definitely gonna enjoy it if sitting for the first time. You can roam around and explore if you are interested in history.

Nice historical location. There are quite a few unique old railway trains out here which you can see. Some of the cool ones are behind a fence though, where others you can get closer to. The original station and lumber history is in great shape, and this is a place that any train enthusiast should see. The door to the old station happened to be Open when we came (not sure if it is always open). And there was some cool electronics which lay out the train track routes and various gates which they could travel through. Some antique carriage, baggage, photographs and other trivia were inside the old station as well. For any train buff, this is well worth the stop. My grandfather would have loved seeing historic train stuff like this.
Spacious not overly crowded,
The temperature inside was perfect! the smoking section was hardly noticeable, the whole Casino was very nice & clean. The lady's room was up scale & sparkling clean. Nice Employees, what else can I say

Beautiful environment! The Asian restaurant was fantastic but the sushi was kind of expensive. The sound and lighting crew were phenomenal for such a small space! Truly professional. It felt like I was at an arena but intimate. The valet service was great as well. A short wait to leave. Be sure to tip them well!

It's not a winners night every night. It seems we win a lot less led often but I'll give kudos where deserved. They make so far better effort at promotional events than other local casinos. But they've all gotten stingy. I recommend going for lunch or dinner or music but gambling as a side event fur you day. Then it won't be so disappointing win you walk out with zero winnings most times. The good is great. Enjoy. I keep going back for fun... hoping.

I think I need a redo I went on a weekday day morning since I wouldn't be able to go over the weekend. It was very spacious clean and super friendly staff. It was pretty uneventful since it was fairly early. Haven't been to casinos outside of Vegas (its prohibited in my residing state) so not sure if free alcohol drinks is a common thing at most casinos but not here that I could gather. There was little eats and lounges along the wall. But most were just opening up or still closed all together. But they did have a designated spot where you could get complementary coffee and soda from the fountains. I enjoyed the exterior scenery more nature little creek trees ect. Also not sure where they were coming from/going to but they had their own charter bus and a little shuttle that could be helpful.

It's nice. Valet was free for me the Sunday I went, maybe it's always free I don't know for sure. I had a couple drinks in the bar before having the buffet. Drinks are good and good price. The buffet was just okay, but so also good price. I wish the non smoking areas were more prevalent and/or the air was better circulated. They need better signage navigating around the property for the parking garage. The gas station was nice and friendly staff everywhere.

Solid casino that offers plenty of parking.
Be aware they allow indoor smoking of cigarettes, but their parking lot outside of the parking garage is patrolled by security, and they didn’t have a problem with me sleeping in my camper there overnight.
Plenty of live gambling games and tons of virtual games as well as few restaurants inside with a range of prices. Solid!

This is one of the cleanest casino I have seen. It is huge and has vast variety of games. There is a buffet and other restaurants if you want to eat. The bar at its center offers a wide range of drinks to enjoy. I feel it is better than the casinos in Vegas.

There are many people on weekends, but there is no smoking area and non-smoking area in the casino. In summer it is very hot and airless. The food at the fall buffet is pretty standard. From salads to entrees and desserts, everything was delicious and fresh, and the service was superb.

My recent visit to Snoqualmie Casino left me thoroughly impressed. The staff was incredibly friendly, making me feel welcomed from the moment I stepped through the doors. Not only that, but the entire casino was impeccably clean, maintaining a high standard of hygiene that is especially reassuring in today’s environment.
One aspect of the casino that I particularly enjoyed was the cigar lounge. It felt like a home away from home, providing a cozy atmosphere where I could relax and unwind. The attention to detail in the club’s design and amenities truly made it a standout feature of my experience at Snoqualmie Casino.
Overall, I highly recommend Snoqualmie Casino to anyone looking for a welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and a clean environment. Whether you’re there for the gaming or to enjoy the amenities like the cigar lounge, you’re sure to have a fantastic time.

I come here purely for the restaurants and for the view (which can be viewed from the parking lot top levels or any of their dining options excluding the market) The casino is very clean and service at all of the restaurants are fantastic. Great staff!
Smoke smell is a bit overwhelming sometimes but they have generally good air filtration systems I think. Not a place to bring young kids even if you're just visiting restaurants since the second hand smoke is bad for the lungs. I personally wear a mask indoors while going through the machine areas anyways.
Really enjoy coming here in the winter months and seeing fantastic views of snow dusted cascade mountain range while dining. There's also lots of birds around here, we usually get to see hawks as well!

This was my first casino I made a trip to and as we always say - first impressions are the best ones this place has that in my mind for ever. The casino restaurant serves one of the best burgers around WA when it comes to veggies - the Boca burger, I sometimes just make a trip to this casino to have that. They also have a few vending machines for free including coffee and some soft drinks. They are expanding further so make sure you check the parking pathways as they have left them a little confusing.

Movies in the park (July-August) is such a fun, family (and dog) friendly summer activity. Parking is on the road between the two roads that access either end of the dog park - it's a bit confusing. Open field directly behind the screen. Look for the movie signs they put out about 7pm. Parking is $10. Lots of food trucks & businesses giving out freebies! Porta potties available.

Visited here while traveling and looking for an area where my dog could run and play with other dogs. The dog area is quite impressive and numerous trails criss-cross through its many acres. Plenty of shade where a well-maintained path follows the river, as well as large grassy fields that are open and less shaded. Several places along the river where steps lead down to the water, allowing dogs and people easy access. While the main area is leash-free, the trail links to an Audubon hiking path that requires your pooch be leashed. Very pretty scenery. There is a self serve dog wash, a grooming truck, and a food truck in the main parking area. Honestly, it was a mini doggie Disneyland.

Nice park. I was here to see Cirque du Soleil. Pro tip if you’re seeing the show: Parking in the official lot is $25 but it’s like $1 everywhere else in the park. So go early, enjoy a walk or take some photos, then walk to the show. And spend those savings on something delicious.

This is the best concert venue around. It's easy to get from the parking area to the concert area, the lines at the gate are fast, and it's flat inside. Definitely ADA friendly compared to venues like The Gorge (stunning, but hard to navigate). The little lights in the trees, the food trucks, and the selection of high quality beer and wine (Odin, Chuckanut, Mark Ryan) make this concert venue a top pick for those who enjoy something other than a Vitamin-R. And you can actually get up from your seat and wander over to the stage to check out the performance up close and personal - that isn't possible in most venues!

Marymoor Park is my top park to visit here in Washinton. A notable feature of the park would be the trails that conveniently encircle the neighboring area. These trails are worth exploring in the area and provide an excellent opportunity for exercise and adventure. The park is well-kept. It is worth noting that park workers are consistently actively present within the area. It is important to be aware that this particular park frequently hosts various events and celebrations. Planning your visit accordingly to avoid any potential crowds, parking, or disruptions may be helpful. Bring cash with you to pay for 1 $ parking, If you can find parking. If you want a good parking spot, arrive early. Due to the park's popularity, parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

What an incredible dog park!! we just moved from out of state and everyone told me that this is where they bring their dog and they were not lying. It is a huge beautiful open space. All dogs are off leash and it’s up to owners to ensure that dogs are behaving properly I don’t know if it’s 100% stroller safe throughout the entire park but I did bring my stroller and was able to get a good 40 minutes in with my toddler and my little pup. My toddler did not walk around though and stayed in his stroller the whole time.

Idylwood Park, a charming waterfront park situated on the shores of Lake Sammamish in Redmond, is a popular outdoor recreation area covering approximately 17 acres. This picturesque park boasts a beautiful beach where visitors can indulge in swimming and boating activities. It also offers a small boat launch suitable for car-top boats, kayaks, and canoes.
The park was adorned with a vibrant tapestry of maple trees in various shades of red, orange, and yellow, creating a picturesque autumn setting.
The walking path was well-maintained and meandered through the park, allowing me to immerse myself in the beauty of the fall foliage. The gentle rustling of leaves underfoot added to the serene atmosphere.
A small sandy beach by the lake provided a perfect spot for relaxation and picnicking. The dock extended into the crystal-clear water with ducks swimming and playing on the shores.
One of the park's most enchanting features was the wooden footbridge, which spanned across a gentle stream. The bridge not only added to the park's aesthetic charm but also offered a unique perspective of the landscape

Parking: It is tough thats why one less star. I recommend to directly go to Additional Parking area. If not then you can park car on side road. If not, go to main parking area. Keep repeating this until you find parking. I was lucky enough to find parking in main area most of the time if I waited enough.
Bathroom: Men bathroom has a shower in open area. It has cold and hot water, easy to use, easy to change.
Swim area: Huge swim area in Lake that is just a short distance from bathroom. People who like to jump will enjoy the diving area. Take your mats to pit either on grass or sand.
I wish it had bigger area because the park is always crowded.

The Microsoft Visitor Center in Redmond, Washington provides an opportunity to witness the remarkable journey of Microsoft as it transformed from a small startup into a global technology leader. This center allows visitors to witness cutting-edge technology and explore the future of artificial intelligence. The visitor center not only showcases the evolution and success of Microsoft, but also offers a self-guided tour with interactive displays and presentations. Additionally, there is a Company Store where one can purchase Microsoft products.
There was interesting information about new buildings that will be opened in 2025, old technologies and some new features. Interactive screens and people working there. Visitors can spend their time by playing with Xbox consoles, Minecrsft and Forza Horizons 5. Also you will find some fact about founders of the company as well as milestones from 1975.
There is a free parking lot next to the building. Our visit was about 2 hours with our two kids.
Microsoft store is next to visitor center.

Great experience. You get to see the progress of Microsoft from the ground up. The integration of new products away from Microsoft Windows and Office. Xbox and Microsoft Surface. There is the failed media player that lost out to Apples Ipod. You get to try out the systems, play Xbox, and everything Microsoft. There is an opportunity to buy anything that’s currently in the market. There isn’t any hints to what’s to come but it’s a great experience. I’m a die hard Apple user but liked this place.

If you're into gaming or the history of Microsoft, this place is great. Otherwise it's just a Microsoft gift shop. My 2 kids 10-13 loved it. It was their highlight of our entire trip to Seattle. They have 5-10 gaming stations where we played Halo...something they can do at home, but it's cool playing AT Microsoft HQ. We lucked out because the stations freed up shortly after we got there. If they were in-use the entire time, we would have been in and out in 20 minutes. My wife and daughter would not have had such a great time.

It’s beautiful. The fact that you can see the falls so closely is amazing. This falls is definitely underrated. The hike was also really short. Took us about 15 mins to get to the falls. Overall it was amazing

Natures is miraculous but human. Trail loop is well maintained and beautiful with some waterfalls along the path. It takes me about 2h to finish the trail. Just one courtesy thing to do is pack in-pack out but few people don’t. I picked some tissues and emptied bottle on my way. hope people won’t litter.
Hoang Nguyen — Google review
A must visit place when you are driving through US Route 30. The falls is right beside the freeway and there is a large parking lot very close to the falls. The view of the drop is magnificent and breathtaking. Ideal spot for picnic and for hiking.
bharat batasari — Google review
If you love waterfalls and love hiking this is for you. The stretch between Vista House and Multnomah Falls on the historic route 30 is full with waterfalls, creeks and so many head trails. It doesn’t matter how many times I go to the same area I find a trail I didn’t walk before. Some are easy and short, some are longer and more challenging. But at the end of it they are all worth the hike.

Wahkeena Falls is a short half mile (if that) hike from the parking lot to the falls. It is a bit of a climb but worth the sight. There is a good amount of parking if you arrive early enough or on a weekday. There is no cost for parking or to view the Falls. Across the road is another parking area along with picnic tables and bathrooms.

Decent hike. Took the trail in the rain, in crocs and found no difficulty at all ascending and descending. Went with a small group while in town and it was perfect for the time slot we were working with
Jeremi Madden — Google review
Beautiful falls. Busy area with less parking spots but it was worth it. Multnomah falls is super crowded hence I liked this one better. Multiple steps falls. You can climb on the side and get a better click. Must visit if you are nearby.
sonakshi agarwal — Google review
Right next to the road along the Columbia River Gorge Historic Highway. Tall waterfalls just like Multnomah minus the bridge. Car parking is limited and pretty crowded since the view point is along the sidewalk. There is a trail that goes above.
Sidharth Jhawar — Google review
Really cool viewpoint. 0.2mile quick trail to the falls. It’s so close that you can feel the mist.
S P — Google review
I took the 5 mil route from Wahkeena Falls to Multnomah Falls and I think it was great. Difficulty level is easy to below moderate, at least for us. Am glad we did that early in the morning around 8am++ as the parking area will be filled up pretty quick.
J “汉人” ames — Google review
A decent length 5mi loop if you choose. If you just want a out and back experience you can just go to the viewpoints. Definitely bring some more textured hiking shoes. Makes things easier cause some trail areas are a little on the rough side. Especially if you choose to hike the loop.

This is one of the breathtaking waterfalls to visit if visiting Portland. We visited this one on a tour to visit 6 waterfalls in the area using e-bikes which is the best thing ever that is fun and you wouldn't have to deal with car parking nightmares. The waterfall is so amazing and the hike to see it is short and not hard so make sure and hit that spot if visiting the area
Peter Assad — Google review
Did the full 5 or so miles loop and it was absolutely worth it. Did it mid winter so we were walking through the clouds. Maybe one of my favorite hikes within a hour of the city.
It has a parking lot with limited spots but you can also access the loop from the Multnomah Falls parking lot.
Super well maintained but there are some parts of the trail that can be iffy if you’re scared of heights. Wear shoes with good tred! Also look out for any added signage on any of the maps throughout the hike.

Did the 5 mile hike starting here that wraps around in a loop to go to Multnomah Falls and ends here again. Fantastic hike!! Some switchbacks in the beginning but then it's not as steep the rest of the hike, more spread out. Its absolutely beautiful about halfway through especially, lots of yellow trees and little fields in the forest. The trees are tall and dense and the sun peeks through at random parts. With the time of day we went, there was mist and peeking sun and yellow leaves everywhere, it looked magical. It was gorgeous! The waterfalls are amazing too. This is one of my favorite hikes! Only con is there's a very small parking lot out front, we ended up parking further down on the side of the road and walking up but there's no sidewalk along the road, so be careful.

Really great trail and very much worth it. Parked right by the trail head of Wahkeena and got there kind of early (8 am) and had plenty of parking spots. It does fill up quick though. The hike has a lot of scenery and you get to the falls pretty quick. There are some switchbacks to keep going that are kind of steep but not forever long. Takes you to a beautiful look out which was worth hiking up. We went a little further to fairy falls and then kept going and went all the way over to Multnomah falls and then walked back to the wahkeena parking lot.

Beautiful falls...we only saw one other person on our hike up to the falls. It was worth the hike on a super rainy day!

I don't think the trail has been fully restored yet after the snowstorm. Some sections are very difficult to walk.
We stopped here on our way to Vista House and I'm glad we did. It was a beautiful day, no wind and no rain, beautiful views of the Columbia River Gorge and Vista House.

The view of the Columbia River from this viewpoint is breathtaking. I highly recommend coming here at sunrise or sunset. There is plenty of parking and it is way less crowded than the observatory. Bring your camera, a blanket, and curl up as you begin or end a perfect day here.

Historical value in addition to the gorgeous view. Visited in the end of June and it was stunning. What a great place to bring a camera! Perfectly quiet, sunny and no wind. View of the Vista house makes for a great photo opp.
Drive safe, the road is like a coil up from I-84.
As always, pack it in-pack it out. Do not leave your Starbucks cups behind (or any other trash).
Marker has historical significance. (See videos).

Great little turn out to get some views. You can see the Vista house from here. Several places to take in the scenery so, each wasn’t too crowded when we were there. Can get very windy, so bring a jacket.

The view from this point is incredible! You can see the Columbia River clearly and also the Vista House perched on the cliff in the distance. This is a wonderful view at any time of the day, but back especially in the evening when the sun is going down.

Offers great views of the vista house and the gorge, anytime of the year - mystic, expansive, colorful - depending on the mood of nature.
Doesn’t have any parking light, hence stars are little more visible here than other places near Portland.

It’s a great view, either from sunrise to sunset. The Women’s forum, some would say, has the better view. But only in the morning. In my opinion. Check it out for yourself…its worth it.

It's beautiful here, the views are spectacular. But wow does it get windy and cold, at least the last two times we visited it was. Make sure you double up on your layers if you don't want to instantly freeze upon exiting your vehicle, we lasted 3 minutes lol. Its the perfect place to just park your car and enjoy a nice cup of hot coffee or tea and take in the views. It really is breathtaking, it's one of those places you have to see at least once :)

Salmon Creek Regional Park, also known as Klineline Pond, is a spacious and picturesque green space that offers a variety of amenities. It boasts a refreshing pond for swimming, as well as a splash pad and playgrounds for children to enjoy. The park offers plenty of picnic tables in shaded areas with BBQ pits nearby, although visitors should arrive early to secure their spot. Additionally, the park has accessible bathrooms and lifeguards on duty during specified hours.
This park is absolutely gorgeous! It's perfect for a variety of activities such as fishing (alot of people were fishing while I was here), picnics and BBQ's, birthday parties; there is a splash pad here for the kids along with a designated swimming area too, walking, biking, and taking the dog for a nice walk just to name a few. You will definitely get plenty of exercise here while exploring all the many trails. There is literally something for everyone of all ages, as you will see from my photos/videos.
This park is a part of the Salmon Creek Greenway Trail, which is just beautiful, and one of my favorite local spots to frequent. All sorts of wildlife can be found along the greenway. I have captured photos of deer, turtles, a variety of bird species, squirrels, muskrats, and today, my husband and I saw a beaver! We saw the damage it did to a tree first though. 😳
If you have not been here, GO! It is one of my favorite areas in Salmon Creek.👍🏼

Beautiful park. Great place for riding a bike or wildlife viewing. Klineline Pond is super popular in the summer for swimming. There's also a splash pad and a playground for the kids.

Pretty good park. Went on a ride here with the family. We did about 6 miles but there was a lot more to explore. There were a lot of people on the trails enjoying the day. There were some cool birds around in and out of the water as there is a huge wetlands area. There is a great swimming hole for all ages that is roped off, lots of parking and ball fields at the east end. A great place to explore. Parking fee was 3 dollars.

Took my 11year old grandson fishing but turned out to be a disaster. Not the fault of the park which is absolutely beautiful. Next time he will play in the water park I'm sure he will have much more fun. The pay to park station was a little confusing. But like the fishing, I think it was a grandma problem not the parks

This is a great place to see Canadian geese, Cormorants, and other water fowl. A lot of people were fishing here today. I rode my bike in from the Salmon Creek Greenway parking lot. It's free to park there if you don't mind biking or walking to Klineline pond. It's about .3 miles down the trail.

Our church did some baptisms and it all went really well, it's safe for kids, there's lots of green areas and there is also a splash pad and a playground. Would definitely come again!

We love this place! The playground, splashpad and lake for swimming are all close together which is great! Just $3 for parking day pass and that was it for costs. They have life jackets for anyone who needs them.

The trail is well maintained and busy. The river and pond are pretty. There are activity fields for a variety of sports. There is an eagle family by the river that are neat to watch. There are restrooms, plenty of parking, and most of the park is accessible. My only issue is lack of shade on the trail, but otherwise, it's a beautiful walk.
Squiffy Bumbo — Google review
Salmon Creek is a great place to bring your family and friends for a nature walk. Accessible friendly too! The pond an creek provide food and shelter for some beautiful birds, including an eagle or two (we've seen two fly together) and hawks. The ducks in the pond are beautiful and there's plenty of fishing to be done! In the summer it's wonderful to bring your kids to play in the water or at the park near the restrooms. Enjoy your day!
Olivia Covarrubias — Google review
I've been coming here since the late 80's before they added trails and a sports park, and before it was nearly destroyed by floods in 1996. It's changed a lot. It's a good place to walk the trails, or walk your dog, or take a bike ride. Come in the evening if you really want to get some peace and quiet. You can get some amazing sunsets here, and you can see lots of birds like red wing blackbirds, killdeer, mourning doves, rabbits, and ducks. The trails are really nice. There's more walking and trails than you think for a smallish place. There's a very nice park for picnics as well. The pond is good for mostly fishing during Spring and Summer when they stock it. You can swim here, but the water can be gross at times from the birds and fish. They also have the Spring Fishing Derby here in April which is amazing for kids. Yes, they charge you for parking here in the peak months. Overall a nice place to come kick back, swim, fish, picnic, bike, walk your dog, or watch some ball games in the Spring.

We came here on a late Monday afternoon, parking lot wasn't super packed, still plenty of parking and no cars parked in the overfill lot. It was only $3 for a car/truck. Shortly after arriving a table opened up in the shade with a BBQ setup, only six BBQ pits in the park so I would recommend getting here earlier or bring her own to be on the safe sides as tables are claimed early with the BBQ stations next to them. Bathroom are easily accessible, and life guards are on duty from 11-7PM.

My husband and I came to check this place out after hearing about it through his work. We loved it. It has everything you might want in an outdoor adventure. You can go fishing, take a walk through their paths and trails that follow Salmon Creek, or bring your children to the park to play(which also includes a splash pad), have a bbq, or have a picnic. This is also a great place to bird watch as well. There's truly something to do for everyone. They do have stocked bathrooms, life vests for borrowing, water fountains, baseball fields, an event area, covered areas for birthday parties, new bbq grills, a pond and lake, (which were just stocked with trout), maps, benches for resting, waste bags for your fur babies, etc. We really had a blast visiting this park! And definitely want to return again soon! The only thing I would say is... I would bring $1 bills and a pen,(for the envelope) for parking. Whether the entry booth is open or not, you have to pay a $3 parking fee. Pictures Of all areas are included!
Frenchman's Bar Regional Park is a spacious park situated along the Columbia River, offering visitors access to various amenities such as sand volleyball courts, picnic shelters, and playgrounds. The park also features well-maintained trails, stunning scenic views of the surrounding fields, ample parking spots and clean bathrooms. One can even catch glimpses of large barges floating by from time to time.
Nice park. Small playground, valley ball courts, small sandy beaches, bathrooms, picnic tables, charcoal grills, paved pathways and views for days.

This is a fun park with migratory birds in the spring and winter. Walking trails as well as a sandy beach. It is located on the Columbia River. Across from Sauvie Island in Oregon. $3 admission or $30 for annual pass for Clark County parks..

Beautiful location. Plenty of parking spots. The park is well maintained and even able to see a few large barges float by. There were a few covered picnic areas and bathrooms. Paying for parking was a bit difficult, but there was staff available to assist.

The line on a nice day to pay the toll ($3) can look intimidating. But once you get through that line, there is plenty of parking! Volleyball, bathrooms, a playground. We have a ton of fun

I rather enjoyed my experience at this park/nature trail. There is something for everyone here. The staff are friendly and helpful. The paths are spacious, in good repair, and kept free of debris by competent park personnel. There are climbing structures, picnic tables, event areas, a beach volleyball/badminton/net sports area, scenic viewpoint, and nature galore along the mighty Columbia River. The trails are accessible and accommodating. As the pathways are primarily in open areas, there is not a lot of shade, so be sure to put on extra sunscreen, maybe wear a hat, and stay hydrated

Beautiful soft sand beach area with large grass space for volleyball and picnic areas. Public bathrooms available and river is idyllic! Lots of people fishing from the shore, but not an issue to find your own space along the water. There is a fee to get in, but can do either at the booth or through the app on the sign.

This park is on the Columbia River and is a great one. There are bathroom facilities with outdoor showers and a playground for kids. There is also a running trail that is paved and beach on the Columbia. There are also over six sand volleyball courts. If you have a family with younger children it’s best to come in the earlier hours of the day because in the afternoon the teenagers and older crowd start showing up and don’t use the best of language. Also if you’re coming out here to enjoy the sunshine and warmer water it’s best if you come mid June to first of September.
For the most part it is pretty clean and the current isn’t too strong. Please note that about 12 feet from the shore there is a nice drop where the water gets deeper.
Colten Tidwell — Google review
Beautiful park, visited Tuesday 3/30/21. Probably about 25 to 50 other vehicles in the park when I arrived. The fee area is closed down right now. Most were unmasked or social distancing. Hiked 2.47 miles with 24ft elevation gain, most trails are paved, but there is also some gravel trail as well as beach trail. There are 3 parking areas here, all with handicap parking available. The park is handicap accessible. There are three bathrooms areas available; the one I checked was clean and well kept. Didn't see any homeless people here. Great Beach's. There is a camp host on site at the first parking lot. Also at the first lot there is a playground, picnic tables with grills and the Langsdorf picnic Shelter (I believe it's available for reservation online). Every parking area has great beach access. There is also a picnic Shelter available at the last parking area. Lots of picnic tables with grills and benches available throughout the park, as well as coal dumping pits. Plenty of fishing going on at the beach as well as in the water in this area. Great place for young children.
Christina Saunters — Google review
Frenchman's is a really nice place to fish when it's not busy. Lots of beach real estate, but during peak season it's way too crowded and there are too many swimmers, jet skis, and boats. It's a great park to take the family, there's a couple covered patios, a playground, volleyball courts and hiking trails. The bathrooms are nasty and mosquitos are abundant but those are the biggest complaints.
Hyrulegreen — Google review
this is a great summertime location with a long sandy shoreline (sand bar) , clean facilities, turf and plenty of picnic spaces. A bike trail connects to other local parks and there is enough room for swimmers and fishermen and the occasional mermaids that frequent the area.
Parking is only three dollars, but there is no water access for motorized watercraft, they are restricted. The negatives for this park is that it sometimes gets filled to capacity and you have to wait to get in. non payng vehicles were being cited or towed last year so that'll, hopefully, get better.

The Philip Foster Farm National Historic Site is well worth the trip to Eagle Creek. It is a short and very scenic and beautiful drive from Portland. It is only 6 miles south of Hwy. 26, which is the main highway to Mt. Hood, so it would make a great stop on the way to or from the mountain. This farm was the last stop on the Oregon Trail before the pioneers made it to their destination, Oregon City. There is a beautiful mural on the side of the barn as you drive up that depicts the pioneers camping in the mountains. Philip Foster was an early settler from Maine who arrived in 1843 with his family via ship. He spent time in Oregon City running a store and a mill before he received his Donation Land Claim at Eagle Creek. Structures at the farm represent his son Egbert's home, his daughter Lucy's home and the general store. They are furnished with period decor and beautifully restored. There is also a granary, barn, cabins where the settlers stayed on their journey, gardens, an apple orchard, and their newest attraction, a logging mill. They have many events throughout the year, and invite school tours to enjoy the living history on field trips.

We went there for the first time today for the cider squeeze. This place is wonderful! I would drive over an hour to come for a visit or event (luckily we don’t have to!) The amount of volunteers, both in costume and otherwise was awesome, felt like the community really cares about this place and it seemed like the young people actually enjoyed volunteering there! We went midday and though there were lots of people it wasn’t crowded or chaotic, such a relief! We can’t wait for our little one to be a bit older and able to adventure, learn and enjoy this place to the fullest. The new schoolhouse is so beautiful and the barn is packed with tools, ropes, farm equipment and educational labels! Every person we spoke to was welcoming, cheerful and neighborly. I love this place!

The Lan Su Chinese Garden is a tranquil botanical garden in the Old Town Chinatown of Portland, Oregon. The garden features rare plants native to China, decorative stonework and a tea shop.
We went there yesterday and we love it. Great place for tea time and relax. We ordered 2 cups of tea and enjoy our time there. When we headed out, the security guy asked us if we would need a bottle of water as it was hot yesterday (so nice of him). Recommend to spend about 1 hour - 1 hour 15 mins for a self guided tour including photography and tea time. Pay with app would work best if you need to extend the parking time. We ordered 3 cups of tea, around $6.5 each. We love the view :)

My friend and I had a great time coming here. Very peaceful and casual. You are totally free to wander about at your leisure and take as much time as you want. It was not crowded either. Plenty of cool architecture and things to look at. Amazing bonsai trees, statues, and mostly shaded by beautiful trees. What really made this experience special was the tearoom. The tearoom is absolutely amazing, on the second floor. An amazing selection of high quality teas to choose from. You can try several, and they serve it to you with a kettle of hot water so you can re-steep your tea as many times as you like. While you enjoy nice views of the entire garden out the windows. Very relaxing, and great experience. Highly recommend!

I like what they’ve done with such a tight space!
Very peaceful and quiet inside. I loved the pond and little bridges & pavilions built over it.
The tea shop was good! I tried the mint & Tulsi herbal tea and quite liked it. The red bean mooncake was good too. Nothing to rave about, but good!
The gift shop has some interesting little souvenirs. Overall, I wished it was a bigger space - especially for that admission fee of 13 bucks.

This was a true zen experience. It doesn't draw the crowds that the Japanese garden does, which means the lines don't exists either. Purchased tickets ahead of the visit online, parked in a nearby lot and walked to the gardens. It was delightful and surprising that once inside the gardens a lot of the city noise dissipated. It was beautiful and the tea house was such a pleasant stop.

First-time visitors are in for a somewhat quick and short walk through. It's not too big good for a short visit. Easy access to walking. Limited with space for walkers or wheelchair. Just because the pathways are somewhat narrow. Would be definitely good to go first thing in the morning before it gets crowded. One-time visit.

I loved my visit here. I had concerns about going due to the location but I'm glad I went. It's a tiny paradise. They offer a tour and you can wander around at leisure. The teahouse was lovely and smelled amazing like tea and incense. I will probably buy a cup next time. The staff made us some complimentary Tangyuan...tiny dessert of glutinous rice balls filled with sesame paste in a hot sweet sauce that tasted like sweet tea. We did a fun scavenger hunt also as we walked around. I'm grateful for the Chinese community for keeping this garden and old buildings maintained to perfection for the public to enjoy.

Love visiting the Lan Su Chinese Garden especially around Chinese New Year. This is the Year of the Dragon (obviously). The tea house has undergone some renovations and we would have stayed if we had more time. They have a very old Poncirus citrus trifoliata, Flying Dragon Tree, in one of the courtyards while we have one that is just a few years old by our front door. Very cool tree! It's in one of the pictures. From their website: "Lan Su Chinese Garden offers infinite paths to discovery, whether you are a visitor simply taking in the beauty of the garden for the first time or a member who comes back day after day to sip tea in the teahouse. One visit just isn't enough to take in the depth and abundance of experiences. Lan Su is ever-changing —by the minute, by the hour, and with the seasons. Something as simple as the shifting of light throughout the day can dramatically alter the garden's appearance and your experience. You'll always discover something new at Lan Su."

Beautiful garden! Loved the feel. It's in the middle of the city so a big juxtaposition between serene garden and run down buildings. I loved it, it was pretty but $14 for something that took us 30 min max to do was steep.

An absolute oasis of tranquility in the heart of Portland. Easy access from the Max line also makes it convenient to get there from many locations. Fully walled off with tranquil water features, this is a reproduction of a Japanese scholars home from centuries ago. Plenty to see and do, guided and non-guided tours available, and a tea house on site. One note is that as of October 2023 the tea house is closed and being renovated, bit they are opearting a pop-up tea shop where you can buy tea and accessories and a cup of hot tea during your visit. I'm glad we took the time to visit while in Portland for a convention, totally worth it.

Wonderful gem in Portland. Authentic style Chinese Garden with lovely architecture and details. Tea house was closed sadly but I understand it will be coming back thankfully. Fun tip is to take off your shoes and walk barefoot on the amazing polished stone walkways for a nice foot massage. 100% recommend this place. The plantings, detailed architecture and authenticity are worth seeing. Also it's critical to support local gems like this.

A really beautiful garden and awesome tasting tea. It's only $3 entry for EBT/Snap card holders. The only downside is the area of town is covered in homeless. I didn't feel safe walking with my daughter here or parking our car nearby. Have someone drop you off and pick you up later if possible.

We spent a lovely drizzly time here yesterday, enjoying a docent led tour and spring blossoms. Will surely return to savor more of this beautiful space!
The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) is an expansive museum with plenty to keep the whole family entertained. From rotating science exhibits to planetarium shows, OMSI has something for everyone. The weekends can be especially busy, but it's all worth it for the amazing exhibits.
First time to visit this museum.
My daughter liked it very much. It has many kids friendly spots for them.
Many things to learn in different topics.
They offer a real submarine tour and a planetarium theater for extra fees.
Avoid weekends for crowds.

A place to checkout while in Portland! This place is very interactive and interesting. A family-friendly place with a lot of activities and attractions for all ages. A personal favourite while visiting OMSI was the Nelson Mandela exhibit. It was well-presented and outlines his early life until post-presidency. It was a great visit!

Very nice museum with various activities and exhibits for families! The museum is smaller than I thought and you can go around and see everything for a day. They have a Marvel exhibit! They also have a movie theater but the movies being shown are selective and not necessarily the movies that come out from a regular theater. There are tons of activities for kids and some of them are also appropriate for adults. They also have a submarine outside the museum and the tickets for a tour are sold separately. The staff are very helpful and friendly! Overall a very good museum and weekend getaway for families!

We got there around 2pm Saturday, it was very very crowded, with a movie event going on. Paid for parking. Lots to show the kids but couldn't really do much due to others using and looking at each thing there was at each station. Tickets sold out fast for the submarine. The kids were amazed by the animal and critter exhibits, a good amount of species to see. Grabbed a coffee from the cafe wasn't too bad, the photo booth did not work. Overall we felt rushed with not many choices to do while we waited for our turn to experience anything. As it got closer to closing time we did manage to experience more. We will be going again just maybe earlier in the day and maybe a week day.

Our trip to OMSI was pretty awesome! We were sad to see that the exhibit hall wasn't open. I guess that's my bad for not looking it up. I was happy to see that all of the children interactive exhibits were open. My 6-year-old ADHD son had a blast! We spent 2 hours there and all of us felt we saw all we needed to see and had a great experience. Definitely fun for the whole family!

Nice museum, the staff are really customer care oriented, the exhibits were spacious and not overcrowded. Lots of learning on all levels, one area is specifically geared towards children and I can see that the people in that area enjoying themselves. The planetarium was nice and comfortable, watch the Black Holes documentary.
The submarine was great and informative, every question I had was answered with their Naval military experienced guides.
I would definitely come back for another visit.
Dwayne Benallie — Google review
Super fun place for kids! Very informational and easy to understand exhibits for children. I went here as a solo adult and honestly there wasn't a lot geared for adults unless the special exhibit is something you're interested in. There is also a planetarium that shows a few different programs. Not sure I would come back here again to be honest. It was smaller than I expected and many of the exhibits that weren't 100% kid-focused were not very detailed or extensive.

OMSI has so much to offer for kids of all ages primarily under 12! The benefits definitely outweigh the disadvantages listed below.
If you go to the water play area, strollers are not allowed. Bring a towel and extra pair of clothes. Even with the waterproof aprons they provide, kids still get soaked.
The Cafe is nice and has lots of seating.
The signage is great throughout the museum.
The Planetarium is cool and they have lots of different events including a cool laser light show!
The IMAX theatre is nice for movie watching!
Lots of cool science things available - membership has perks! Plan a minimum of 4hrs if not the entire day to spend here!
Disadvantages:
- Parking Kitty app not reliable and parking lots do not feel incredibly safe or secure
- the general location around OMSI after dark is surrounded by graffiti on buildings and people living in tents

Absolutely enjoyed ourselves once again, this time got to take the niece and nephew. The 15 years of laika was absolutely amazing, I would love to go back to check this exhibit out again. The amount of interaction for the kids in the engineering station area is amazing. They had a blast. Spent about 5 hours here, and not a dull moment ever. The amount of knowledge they and we took with us is unforgettable. Best Saturday afternoon ever. Highly recommend, I plan on getting a membership, totally worth it. The gift shop is quite amazing as well. Found quite a few goodies in there as well.

Definitely one of my favorite spots in the downtown Portland area. It's a fun and interactive museum with some good stable exhibits as well as rotating featured exhibits. Their Marvel exhibit was super exciting with a lot of cool things to see, such as props from the movies themselves. It's a great place for both locals and tourists, as well as for people of all ages to visit, though the kids can get rather annoying and in your personal space. It's an awesome place to explore with your partner for a date night. Entrance tickets are reasonably priced, though the merchandise and gift shop stuff is expectedly pricey.

This is always a great place to visit with kids especially during the rainy season.
Always something new to see and interact with.
The staff have always been nice and informative.
Much has changed since the last time I was here and some stuff is the same, however it was all new to my youngest.
The submarine tour is always fun.
Jeremy Colbert — Google review
It was very fun to go in but just I wish there was a little more to do with just the basic ticket, I feel like if I was able to go to the submarine or go outside (it was a rainy day) it would’ve been better. Overall fun and even better if you have kids
Mikey — Google review
Pretty fun exhibits. Loved the puzzles part, and sadly one of two of them had missing pieces. Googled for an answer to the rope with rings, but all good.
And the submarine tour was nice! Simple walk through but with explanations from the staff with less history.
The Orca exhibition was pretty well crafted too, and the foetal exhibits were amazing.
Jason Foo — Google review
This was our first time at OMSI, but it won't be our last. The exhibits were varied and incredibly well done. Guaranteed to provide a great experience for everyone. The facility is very clean. All staff members are very helpful and willing to answer any questions. I understand the exhibits change so I look forward to seeing what is in store for us on our next Portland trip. Highly recommend!
Janice Walters — Google review
Nice quick museum, but the main exhibit hall was closed so admission really only got access to a biology exhibit - which was neat - an industry wing almost entirely devoted to kids activities, and a fairly barebones space exhibit (planetarium shows cost extra). The submarine tour felt a tad rushed and tickets sell out quickly.
Christian Pate (trekkie1701c) — Google review
A nice rainy day activity. The submarine was the highlight for me. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor.
The museum is hours of fun for children but as an adult you can breeze through in about an hour.
The museum location is beautiful along the river with the city's backdrop.

I visited this museum last year to see the Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes exhibit. I am a huge comic book geek, particularly Marvel comics, so this was so much fun to walk around and look at this exhibit. The displays were great and there was a lot of information to read on about the comic book art. I would love to visit this museum again one day to see other exhibits. I highly recommend visiting here whether you are a local or a tourist.

My kids always have a great time here! Great exhibits ans activities. We can spend an hour and half just on the hands on activities alone.

It is one the best museums in Oregon. It was fun to discover all the exhibitions and kids' playgrounds. There are some kid's puzzles that I could not solve as an adulte but I enjoyed them overall. I would love to be back soon

Great museum with interesting cultural pieces, too!! Unique birth exhibit on the top floor! Lots of live animals for a limited time!!

Thoroughly enjoyed the Studio Ghibli film festival at OMSI. It was pretty cool seeing a large turnout to enjoy the film together and I hope OMSI continues doing things like this!
After the movie, I got to enjoy the other parts of the museum and saw a real live sloth in the exhibit.
The walking trail next to the waterfront is also wonderful and wish I could have spent more time there. It has a great view of the river and bridges.

Two thumbs up!👍👍You are going to absolutely love OMSI. Our favorite visits so far have been Marvel Superhero’s, Dinosaurs Revealed and the submarine tour❤️. Definitely worth getting a membership to save money. Or if you’re just in town for a short trip it’s worth taking your kiddos for a visit. Check the website for the latest exhibits and be prepared to go and have a great time. Helpful tips: Extra fee for parking, tickets can be purchased in advance online and membership available. The International Rose Test Garden is a public garden in Southwest Portland, Oregon, United States. It is 4.5 acres (1.8ha) and has award-winning rose varieties, as well as Shakespeare Garden adjacent with flora mentioned in the Bards most famous works and roses named after characters from his plays. The garden is open daily from dawn to dusk during the summer months.
We when here a few years ago and I absolutely loved it! It's such a beautiful place to walk around and take pictures with the many different types of roses! The fact that it's free is a bonus in my book.

An awesome place to visit! You get to see so many varieties of roses and colors ! It’s very gorgeous and feels so good. Best of all there is no entry free to visit this place. You just need to get parking or can opt for pay by your parking. Do visit this place in jun end types for full bloom. You can easily spend two hours.. there is also a open area where you could plan a picnic with kids n enjoy leisurely the beautiful garden! You can’t get enough pics of the roses !
Amruta M — Google review
The garden was an absolute delight. Even though the majority of the roses weren't in bloom yet the grounds are beautiful. You also get a lovely view of the city and mountains. The park is very hilly but has good ramp access. Although the park was very serene, unfortunately, my car was broken into. There didn't seem to be any security or cameras in the parking lot so do not bring any valuables to the park.

Definitely not in season for roses but still beautiful! Loved the blossom trees. $2 per hour parking spots you can pay at meter with card or cash.

All the roses are in full bloom now! Now is the best time to see this garden! This Free entrance rose garden is one of the best rose garden I ever seen. So many pretty roses! It surely is garden lover’s dream come true. Try to avoid the huge crowds go on weekdays or late afternoon on the weekends. Parking is a little hard to fine, but I can guarantee you that this place is worth your patience to drive around for a parking spot.

The rose garden is so beautiful and if you come on the perfect day then it just makes it more amazing. My wife and I came here today and the weather was great. The sun wasn't out yet, it was in the mid 60s and the air was fresh. We uber here so we didn't have to look for parking. The roses here are all amazing and you'll have a beautiful background no matter where you take your pictures. They also have a little Gazebo if you want to sit under there and take photos. The gift store here also have some nice products. My wife got 2 of their purses because she like the roses design. There a bathroom near the gift shop and they also give free tour at 1pm. You cannot go wrong by visiting this place because it's also near the Japanese Garden and amphitheater.

Such a beautiful place with so much to see. Find any colored rose here even tie-dye roses. Easy to access and get around with many places to sit and relax or to take a small break. Very very recommended. Close to the zoo, the children's museum, Japanese garden and a few other places you can spend an entire weekend in and near the area parks.

This is our second visit and we live 2000 miles away! The roses are so beautiful and the variety is fantastic! Acres of the most amazing flowers you’ll ever see! The most peaceful experience you’ll ever have with the exception of the Japanese Gardens across the street.

If you appreciate roses and beautiful gardens with pleasant pathways, and stonework in general, you’ll love the International Rose Test Garden at Washington Park.
This lush, tranquil and large garden setting is a perfect place to get your mind off the mundane day to day whilst taking a stroll or reading a book. I would recommend the summer months til October for the optimal experience as the roses are obviously not blooming in winter through early Spring (not sure why some reviewers were so surprised at this). Parking right now in October is best especially if you’re going on a week day, if you want to have a good experience here and avoid crowds definitely go on like a Monday.
Finally I’d recommend taking your time to fully enjoy the blooms, beautiful greenery and lovely setting, it’s a garden so strolling is best not a place to grab a few choice shots and then be off…

My family had a nice time visiting the rose garden and we will have to revisit again to be able to explore it in it’s entirety. You could easily spend a couple of hours here. They have different sections the roses are organized in. There is the Shakespeare Garden and an amphitheater. It was free to look around, we only had to pay for parking which was around a few dollars. Everything was very well kept, nice and neat.

06/11/23: what a gorgeous And fabulous rose garden!! It has different varieties of roses and they smell SO GOOD! aha, I would say it is an enormous garden connecting to different spaces (picnic areas, Japanese garden, Washington Park) and there is a fine for removing roses!!
There is no ticket and tons of paid parking lots in front of the garden. It does worth a visit and I would love to make several more visits to this beautiful garden

We loved the International Rose Test Garden! It is so beautiful and they smell amazing!! Parking was only $3.50 for two hours, and it was right by the gardens. They have tennis courts, a botanical garden, and an ametheater. People were having picnics, doing yoga, and playing soccer throughout the gardens. It is a relaxing and awesome place to go see.

This is one of the best rose gardens I’ve ever been to. There are so many varieties of roses to choose from, and I love how many colors there are. If you visit Washington Park, make sure to stop by. The garden appeared to be in full bloom in mid to the end of June. There is no fee to walk through the garden, so take your time.

Lovely lovely lively! Many variety of roses to see and smell. The roses are in full bloom during this time of the year. They were beautiful and scentuous. We went on a weekend so I think there were more people visiting than on a weekday, but can't say for sure as I never been here during the weekday. Parking can be hard to find so you may need to park farther away, but the walk is not bad. There's a free tour, but they're only for a specific time of day. You can also do a self-guided tour. There are restrooms and even a souvenir shop.

The time and care and love put into raising these gorgeous roses is made evident by the luscious lawns and vibrant petals that cover these grounds. It’s well worth a visit, even though parking can be tight on days with good weather.
Excellent place for a date, boys and girls 😘

The roses were not blooming yet. However, I enjoyed the rest of the scenery and the peacefulness of this garden. There’s also other beautiful gardens in walking distance to explore.

Beautiful place and garden. Roses were still blooming as of Oct 22. The parking is $2 per hour. I found it easily. It's an amazing place with great views of the buildings as well. The Japanese garden is also closest. A lot of trails around and you can see a bunch of people running, walking and strolling their dogs. Definitely check it out if you can.

Came here to spend a Saturday afternoon while visiting Portland. Very impressive varieties in all shapes, sizes, and colors. You can easily spend 1-2 hours just walking around the many varieties. They allow you to walk along the rows, trusting you won't touch the roses or bees pollinating the flowers. Basically, leave no trace behind.
There's different sections from the test garden, gold medal garden, Shakespeare Garden, climbing roses, miniature roses, landscape roses, shrub roses, grandiflora roses, floribunda roses, etc... Even if not a rose or flower expert, you can easily appreciate and learn about the many different varieties of roses. Definitely worth the free cost to walk around the roses.

So wonderful! I love the rose snow ones in the summer, but year round the whole place is gorgeous. I wish there were more sheltered spaces so people could come and enjoy the view in the winter months, but it's a cute spot! Bathrooms are not the cleanest, but what can you really expect from a public park?

This 16,000 square foot French Renaissance mansion from 1912 is now a museum and features period furnishings and scenic views. It is interesting to learn about the history of Portland and how it has evolved from a tiny Northwest town to its current city status.
The start of the story of Portland. The home of the family that put Portland on the map. If you want to know the story of our city you must visit the Pittock Mansion at least once. The architecture is beautiful, the gardens are well maintained. The views are a must see wether on a rainy or a clear day. If you only have a few hours in our city go to the Pittock Mansion. There’s some wonderful trails on this side of the park too. Just don’t forget to pay for parking.

I can't believe in over a decade living in Portland I've never visited the Pittock Mansion. What a spectacular glimpse of history. Loaded with beautiful architecture and fun facts about the family and home. We really enjoyed our visit. I'm glad it's ticketed so it didn't feel too crowded despite a beautiful, December weekend day. I can't wait to be back and stroll the property (on a less chilly day!).

Beautiful place to visit. It’s fun to read about the history of the mansion. You do have a pay for parking and then tickets to the mansion were $14.50 a person. They also have a gift shop. The view that overlooks Portland was really nice. The rooms are set up and some of the pieces are originals but some are not.

Really nice mansion with a lot of information on the origins of Portland and history of the city. The furniture is more representative of the period than actually from the mansion itself. Tickets can be purchased at the door, there was no wait on a Saturday. Museum is paid, although you can walk the grounds and go to the viewpoint for free.

I enjoyed the visit to Pittock Mansion. I was able to avail of the Cultural Passes through our local library and get two free adult tickets and one child ticket. I paid for one more adult ticket and it was an easy process on the website. The house is delightful and the views from there look to be beautiful. We visited on a very foggy/overcast day, so sadly did not have the greatest vista views, but I can see they would be great on a sunny day.

This is a charming historical mansion built in 1914. Being from the East Coast, I am used to houses built earlier, so seeing one restored to the early 1900s was especially interesting. It is a self-guided tour. Informational signs made it easy to learn about the house, family, and time period. There are also wonderful gardens and trails that we didn't have time to explore.

Fantastic views over the city and excellent photo ops in the beautiful surrounds. A small expense on parking only, about 2 dollars an hour. Could be a great trek or hike down from here to Washington park but we drove to a from. A great first stop when visiting Portland to get your overall bearings. Possibly worth touring the mansion too but we didn't have time. Give yourself 30mins to an hour to explore the outside surrounds.

Great place to visit. Very interesting mansion and had a great view of Portland. You have to pay to park and then another fee to pay to go inside. Probably spend a good hour here. I don't think you need to pay if you just want to look around outside.

Portland Life at the top circa 1912… worth the walk through a lifestyle of the past. Sweeping Views of Portland. Wedding photography going in there! Hiking trials too. $8 to park and don’t leave valuables in car…

My friend took us here right before they were set to close to get a nice view of Portland at sunset. We arrived at the parking area at 8:50pm and the ranger told us that he closes the gate at 9pm. But he still let us go check out the view quickly and also look at the mansion. The mansion looks nice from the outside because we couldn't go inside. But the view from the backyard is priceless and was perfect at sunset. They have a decent amount of parking but I think it can get busy during the afternoon time.

The botanical grounds and views are arguably the best in Portland. Add in a hike on the Forest Park trail the intersects.
Interior on the home is kept in period pieces and decor. Cared for by a non-profit, not the city. Consider donating!
Parking: try parking on the city street outside the gate to avoid crowded parking, then walk up to the Mansion or find the trail offshoot just inside the gate and stay to the left to end up at near the Mansion after a short walk.

Not too far from the city and the mansion is on a hill with a parking lot. Buy a ticket will allow you to enter the mansion and another building. Beautiful house on top of the hill, love all the flowers along the way. On a sunny day, blue sky, green grass, colorful flowers - the view is just fabulous. Looking at the mountain and the city, probably one of the best places to visit in the area.

It was nice to see the property and learn a bit about the history. The Christmas decorations were fun for my wife and the views are great. During December they have live music which was nice. It's hard to believe I've never been here in all the years I've lived here! So glad I came when it was all decked out for Christmas!
Note: park in the pull outs up the driveway for free and hike up the road a tad to avoid the city's parking meter and minimal parking. You must use their parking kitty app or their meter, which was not working when we were there. Parking tickets are sky high if they issue you one for not paying so word to the wise!
They do have an elevator, clean bathrooms, a gift shop, and a wonderful view of the city!

The self guided tour during Christmas is the best as the mansion is decorated for the season. I would plan for good weather to tour the grounds and view point, at the front of the property, as it is best on a clear day. We were lucky enough to see portland and down town. Allow about an hour to tour the mansion.

Pittock Mansion is a museum dedicated to Henry and Georgianna Pittock. The museum is located at the top of a hill that is somewhat steep.
The museum is in pristine condition and is very popular. The mansion is well organized and offers a glimpse into life at the beginning of the 20th century.
Parking is not free and it is best to download the app. The reason is, the kiosks are not always operational and parking enforcement does patrol the area.
A bit of advice, avoid insulting the place out loud. You might regret it.

One of the best views in Portland Oregon all for free. The views are treasures by many who live here for good reason, as the moment you see Mt. Hood and the rest of the city on a clear day your breath will be taken away and you'll gain an appreciation for the beauty of our city.
One of my favorite spots to climb to by bike (very hard but fun!) and one of my favorite spots to enjoy thirty minutes of our beautiful city and nature.
The Portland Japanese Garden is a tranquil, peaceful space with features like a waterfall and teahouse that offer stunning views of the cityscape. The garden is composed of five different styles of gardens spread over 5.5 acres and offers visitors a chance to learn more about Japanese culture through displays and activities.
You should definitely check out this Japanese Garden if you're in the area because it is totally worth it. You have to pay an admission fee to enter but it's not a lot and you're supporting the garden. You have to take a small hike to go to the main entrance but it is well worth it. They have a little cafe here but there isn't a lot of options so just be aware. The view that you get of the waterfall, design and being with nature is wonderful. You can spend a good 30 minutes just walking around and enjoying your view. There are also workers around the garden as well if you need help or someone to take your picture. We really like the main little waterfall that they have here. Parking is not free I think so just be aware that you might have to pay for that as well. They have a little gift shop where my wife got an earring from. Just follow the pathway and you won't get lost.
Peter Xaymountry — Google review
The garden was beautiful! It was a little smaller than I expected, but it had nicely paved paths, nice spring blooms and a peaceful vibe. The queue for the Japanese cafe inside is super long, so make sure to reserve your spot first thing when you get in. Would be even more beautiful if the cherry blossoms weren't at the end of their bloom.

Definitely worth a visit! It was super peaceful and so beautiful. They have tours there but it seemed like most just walked through on their own. It’s not huge so you can get through it somewhat quick so take your time. The paths are uneven but there was a sign saying they did that on purpose so you would be forced to take your time. It’s all very intentional which is super cool. All the sounds of nature are really pretty and it’s well groomed. Bought our tickets ahead of time so we got in pretty quick at our allotted time. There is parking up top and I think it’s a couple bucks an hour but we just walked our way in. I’m sure the parking fills up quick though. There’s a nice little cafe and gift shop and information center at the top before you walk into the garden as well. The gift shop was cool and it seemed like the cafe had some authentic options.

Really lovely, the map you get given does look like it's a big place but when you walk around, it's actually not as big as you think. So take your time, enjoy it. It really is an amazing piece of artwork.

Absolutely stunning and peaceful. The beautiful nature combined with the maintenance of the garden is just incredible. So many beautiful statues, structures, settings, and more. We went on a lightly rainy day and walked around for approximately 3 hours. It was definitely a hike, so be prepared shoe wise. Be respectful.

At first I thought the price for entry was a bit on the pricey side, but I think it was well worth it. The garden was very peaceful and relaxing. Went in the morning when it was still cool and crisp out. The sounds of the flowing streams and the few small waterfalls while staring at the zen garden make all the difference. 10/10

The Portland Japanese Gardens extraordinarily beautiful. I happened to go when it was a perfect day and I enjoyed every aspect of it. I read some complaints about the hike up, but to that help to segment the garden to its own world. The gift shops were really awesome. There were a pretty large variety of items to purchase. On top of that there was a showcase of art right next to it. The garden itself has multiple sections to walk through. Each segment had its own unique identity. Truly my only complaint about the garden is one it’s entrance fee and two it’s size. I felt that for how small it was the fee was not up to par. If it was bigger I’d honestly be completely okay with how much I spent. Though I wouldn’t let that deter any new newcomers because it’s still an amazing experience.

Walk into a place of tranquility and rediscovery. This is oasis hidden among the city. A leisurely walk through the garden will put your state of mind of calmness and escaping the day to day. The views are beautiful. The bonsai trees are a very welcoming addition. Go from place to place and see what a bit of meditation can bring around. Take in the air in its purest form. This is definitely a place that I'll come back to visit again. Gift shop, restrooms, and a fairly decent sized restaurant. There are plenty of customer service attendants walking around if you do have questions regarding the area. Go by and see. Look into your own personal life and see what happens.

Beautiful, of course. Can't take in outside food or drinks. There is ramps in places, but a lot of stairs and uneven ground. Lots of benches to stop rest or take it all in. Think fall would be the best time to come and enjoy the mapels showing off and a nice chill in the air

Very beautiful Japanese garden. A wonderful and educational place for family pastime and enjoy Japanese culture. We walked for 2 hours and enjoyed it very much. We managed to see the feeding of koi carp, it was very interesting for the children. Beautiful and very picturesque place, solitude and peace. Wonderful gift shop. There is a restaurant nearby in case you get hungry after a 2 hour walk through this incredible place. The price justifies expectations. Thank you very much, we will definitely be back.

Our early October visit to the Portland Japanese Gardens provided us a monochromatic view of the beauty of the gardens. Having read some of the Google Maps Reviews, we saw how other visitors have contributed photos of beautiful gardens full of color. We missed that season by months, but that didn’t take away from our visit. We were fascinated by the textures, the variety of steps, the water. Even though the clouds were low and it began to lightly rain, it didn’t distract from our visit.
We did take advantage of the free shuttle to the top of the hill and enjoyed our stroll down.
There are no restrooms by the entrance; they are at the top of the hill.
Would love to return and visit during the other seasons.

This is an oasis in Portland. The grounds are meticulously kept, and the buildings are beautiful recreations of historic Japanese structures. There are tours offered, a gift shop, and a modern tea house on site. However, it was an hour and a half wait on the Sunday we visited, so we had to skip it. It is a hike to get from the shuttle drop off area or parking to the top of the hill where this resides but there is also a free shuttle back and forth from the top fi you need it. Limited options for refreshments: On Sunday afternoon we went, I was informed they had sold out of water, but there were a few water fountains available. The bathrooms are nice, and the garden areas are varied. Your experience may be affected by others who don't understand keeping their voices subdued in tranquil and relaxing settings. There are plenty of small seating areas to enjoy some snatched privacy or the views. On a clear day like we had you can also catch an amazing view of Mount Baker in the distance towering over the city.

I go here every month with my family and it’s so fun! Never gets boring. It has a very nice cafe and gift shop :) I got my friend a really nice birthday gift from there. 10/10 would definitely recommend! Although I suggest getting a membership because it can get really crowded on some days.

Very nice design. It has three levels, ground entry level, middle exhibition level, and garden level. You can enjoy the design concept that combines artificial with nature in an elegant way. You need to spend at least 1 hour to appreciate the beauty of the garden.

This place is beautiful! Very relaxing and amazing place to take pictures. My girls really enjoyed the fish and site seeing. They have a Cafe restaurant, a gift shop, a learning center and bathrooms. The walk is not crazy long but it took is about 1 1/2 hours to go through it all. Most of it is up hill , with some leveled areas. If you have never been it's definitely a place to try out.
Parking was tight lots of people on a Sunday. You have to pay for parking and then line up to pay the entrance fee. Children 5 and younger are free.

What a great start to our weekend Portland trip. The grounds are beautiful and so well maintained. It took us about 1.5 hours to wander the grounds. The only feedback I would give is that when I researched the garden before going it did not mention that there is a bit of a hike to even get to the garden. I navigated it fine but I could see this being an obstacle for others.

This is definitely one of my favorite places in Portland and one of my favorite garden spaces in the country. What a gem of a space. Definitely sign up for a tour as it is time well spent getting the background and history of the space and learning about all of the thoughtfulness and intentionality that went into this beautiful space. It was great to catch a tea ceremony demonstration and to have tea in the tea house at the end. This is one place in Portland I will plan to visit on every trip.

It is best to arrive early to avoid the crowds and truly soak in the serenity. This was my first time, and even at 11am on a summer Wednesday, there were lots of people on the paths. There's a lot to enjoy from the bonsai, trees, bushes, bamboo, coi fish, stone pathways, streams, and gift shops. It was inspiring to consider some of these designs for my own garden.

This is a wonderful place to stroll through. The ticket price is justifiable considering this is a private funded garden. We spent 2 hours walking through. Fun art installments and gift shop. Not to mention the cultural performers. This is a fun outing and worth a visit. Thank you Portland Japanese Garden!

Probably THE Most popular tourist place in Portland city. Claimed to be the biggest Japanese garden in north America. True to the fame, the garden is really well designed and staffed. Beautiful view throughout the year. Often you can find surprise local Japanese capture presentations at the site for free. Also right next to the Japanese garden is the beautiful rose garden. so lot of things to do there. At the top of the hill, some time it could get chilly. Bring a thick jacket if needed.

The Portland Japanese Garden is a serene oasis that offers a tranquil and beautiful escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. As you wander through the paths, you’re greeted with meticulously maintained landscapes that showcase the art of Japanese gardening. Each area of the garden has its unique charm, from the peaceful Koi ponds to the stunningly manicured trees and plants.
The attention to detail in every aspect of the garden is remarkable. It’s a place where you can truly appreciate the changing seasons, each bringing its own unique beauty. The garden also offers lovely views of the city, adding to its charm.
The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, contributing to an overall welcoming atmosphere. It’s a perfect spot for contemplation, photography, or simply a peaceful walk. A visit to the Portland Japanese Garden is a must for anyone looking to experience a slice of tranquility and beauty.

If you're out in Portland visiting, I highly recommend coming here! It was raining when I went, but I was still able to see everything the garden had to offer. The views are absolutely breathtaking, and there's enough to keep you occupied at least for half of the day. It wasn't too crowded either and very peaceful to walk around the garden. There's a decent sized parking lot, but you do have to pay. Also, you do have to walk uphill and climb a few stairs to get to the actual garden as a fair warning. But I had a great experience and would come back again!

If you’re coming here you probably have an interest in Japanese gardens or wanted a pretty place to be in nature whether by yourself or with friends and family, well I have to say it was indeed beautiful.
I’d say if you were to really speed run the sites you can walk through the whole park in 30 minutes to an hour but considering we should be mindful of the details that go into this beautiful garden I’d say if you’re an adult you can properly take in the sites and surroundings in 1.5-2 hours. So many small details and signs of beauty you would miss if you hurry through.
It was a great way to spend the day, it was gorgeous and I really did feel at peace here while trying to be mindful of the work the staff put into maintaining this beautiful garden. On a clear day there’s a wonderful view of Mt. Hood? And you could spend much longer than 1.5-2 hours there if you chose to do so. You can walk up from the entrance to the main gardens or there is a bus and or parking that can get you up to the main attractions (I think). There’s also an area in the gardens where they hold exhibits, the current miniature exhibit (as of 02/24) was great and interesting and I’d recommend checking it out as well.
There were no real negatives but I’ll list out what I wish I knew, as of now (02/24) the koi aren’t out in their usual numbers as they are doing something to keep them healthy until spring time comes in. And the traditional tea house is not what’s generally open to the public but a place where you can take photos of and walk by. I’m sure you can reserve a tea ceremony somehow, but I was excited to drink tea in a traditional tea house and didn’t realize the tea house/cafe on site was more modern (yet good and welcoming but not what I was hoping to do while here).
Overall it’s gorgeous, a good time and when in Portland I’d recommend checking it out for sure, even in the winter (02/24) it was gorgeous and I can’t wait to experience this place during the different seasons!

We went 3/24 - the cherry blossoms were gorgeous and in full bloom, along with the camellias and magnolias. It was a wonderful stroll but definitely not very accessible, lots of stone pathways and rocky slopes. I would also suggest putting your name in for the cafe when you first get there - you can then enjoy the garden and have tea after as there is usually a long wait it seems.

I've been to the Portland Japanese Garden twice, once with a buddy of mine and then again with my partner. It's such a tranquil environment to spend some time in a controlled and well-organized mixture of culture nature. The garden itself isn't huge and you can explore a lot of it in a couple of hours, but I would recommend taking your time in viewing the scenery and experiencing the places with all senses possible.
If you're able to go on a weekday, it's especially well worth your money, as there are less people and you can enjoy the calmness of the environment. My partner and I went here on Valentine's Day and had an amazing first part of our day. It can get distracting and hectic here on the weekends with more people and a lot of kids involved, which I feel can be detracting from the place, though they do a good job attempting to combat that problem by setting a limit on how many people can enter at a certain time.
The garden is different during all four seasons, and now my partner and I want to experience all of them together. There are a lot of reasons to go back besides that, though. It's a nice way to spend some time and decompress while still being outside and feeling productive. They have a cute little café and gift shop. Employees are kind and knowledgeable, and they look happy to work at this place.

Our visit to the Portland Japanese Garden was really nice. Walking through the garden felt like stepping into a peaceful place, far away from the usual hustle and bustle. The paths, the well-kept plants, and the calm atmosphere made our time there very enjoyable. The Umami Cafe offered We especially liked the small ponds and the view. It's clear a lot of care goes into keeping the garden beautiful. Adding to the experience, the Umami Cafe offered great-tasting tea and pastries that are definitely worth trying. We had a great time and definitely recommend a visit.

Wrapping 2023 in a peaceful and tranquil place. As soon as you walk in the garden you feel relaxed and your mind quiets down. Everything looks so green and fresh in the rain, I’m sure that spring time is gorgeous with all the flowers, I will have to go back to check it out then. There is a little cute shop when you get to the top of the gardens and also a miniature sculptures exhibit. On a nice clear day you can see mount Hood. There is enough parking space but you have to pay for parking, and of course a restroom on premises.
Washington Park is a large and well-maintained park in Portland, Oregon. The park has a variety of attractions, including a zoo, Japanese garden, rose garden, and Children's Museum. The park also has 15 miles of trails for walking, running or biking.
We visited the Japanese Garden, and it's beautiful! The waterfalls, the landscaping, and the trees are so amazing!
Parking fee was $4 for 2 hours. Entrance fee was $18 for adult, not bad at all.
From the parking lot, you have to hike maybe about one fourth of a mile to get on the top of the of hill to the garden.
Lots of friendly employees to show directions and answer questions.
As you enter into the garden, you'll notice a lot of rocks and mini waterfalls. And, a lot of stair!
Food is not allowed in the garden. Stepping on the moss is not allowed either. They really take care the garden beautifully.
One of the most beautiful place to visit in Portland Oregon!!

The zoo is an always amazing! I love the zoo! All of the otters are my favorite! My only complaints are I wish they would fix parking and maybe have more zoo volunteers and keeper engagement.
I wish keepers would talk more about our animals on their youtube channel similar to some of the zoo tv shows that exist. It’s fun to learn about the animals personalities and get to know them personally!

Absolutely-loved-it. Fantastic. Green all around, great for the lungs and circadian rhythm. Not hard, but might not take little kids who aren't used to a little hike. (Think tree trunks and mud, small hilly areas.) Really liked my time there, think we hiked about an hour. (We walked down from the gardens, through the rose garden, to the right past the playground and on a trail up around the back of the garden.)

Lovely park on a hill overlooking Portland. Especially enjoyable are the gardens available on the grounds. The International Rose Test Garden is free to go in and wander and features an amazing assortment of different varieties of roses. The Japanese gardens are ticketed ($20 for adults at the ticket booth currently), but are well done and worth a visit if you enjoy Japanese gardens. Plenty of good spots for kids to run around as well, including an amphitheater area. The park is roughly a 30-45 minute walk from downtown Portland (45 minutes from the riverfront, less the closer in you are), but the hill could be a bit of a challenge for some.

We visited the Japanese Garden in January -- and it was so beautiful to me, a Montanan! Green! A sunny day. Warm enough to be comfortable outside. It was a weekend so more crowded than I would have liked but who's complaining? Go on a weekday for a more serene experience. If I lived in Portland I'd visit the garden at least once a month.

Absolutely beautiful hike through trails upon trails of urban forests with lots of really cool trees to look at and learn about. HUGE PLACE, we were not able to do everything on site and will have to be back for the Japanese Garden, the Zoo, etc. But we did hike for like 6 hours just taking everything in that we possibly could in the Hoyt Arboretum, and we visited the Rose Garden which was gorgeous.

Everything is great here. Parking is scary. If you are able-bodied, there is more available parking down Sherwood Blvd than up near the park entrances. The rose garden is lovely and worth a visit. We also enjoyed the playground, it's ideal for 5-7 year olds I'd say

The Washington Park Rose Garden in Portland is a stunning oasis in the middle of the city. The garden is absolutely breathtaking, with rows upon rows of beautiful roses in every color and variety imaginable.
The aroma of the roses fills the air, making it a fantastic destination for anyone who loves nature. The garden is well designed, with pathways that allow visitors to walk among the flowers and appreciate their beauty up close. Moreover, it provides a perfect spot for photography and couples' shoot.
In addition to the sheer beauty of the garden, the park is also well maintained, with clean restrooms and helpful staff members who are always on hand to answer questions or provide information about the different types of roses.
Overall, I would highly recommend visiting the Washington Park Rose Garden for anyone visiting Portland - it's an absolute gem and a true testament to the beauty of nature.

Spent less than $2 on parking and $22 on a admission and walked through for an hour. This was my second time visiting the Portland Japanese Garden, but first time during the middle of Fall season. The Falls colors are breathtakingly gorgeous and this would be a great location for a romantic outdoor picnic, depending on weather, and it's super peaceful and tranquil. They have restrooms, water fountains, a gift shop, a real tea house, and at certain times guided tours! Wonderful place to visit and walk through to just slow down and enjoy nature!

Beautiful park adjacent to the Japanese garden in Portland. Tennis courts and roses...two of my favorites things. What a welcome surprise this was, only discovering it because I couldn't find parking nearby. Faced with a long walk back to the car, I was looking for a shortcut, and decided to cut through Washington park. This place was stunning with roses as far as the eye can see! How I wish I had made time to see the entire thing but what I did see just walking through the edge of it was spectacular!

I love Washington Park for its numerous grand features! Amongst the vast hilly expanses and winding trails are various thematic gardens, including the massive arboretum! You have the Japanese Garden and Rose Garden just next to each other, and behind them runs Wildwood trail, leading to the Winter Garden, and then the Magnolia Garden as one of my favorite features about this enchanted gem! And can't forget the free-to-use outdoor archery range! 😱 Oh right and the zoo too.

This is such a beautiful park near downtown. There are tons of tennis courts, a playground, not to mention the rose garden, etc. We drove around the park and walked a bit, and we were so jealous we didn’t have our dogs with us to walk! Incredible for walking pups, a picnic, etc. So huge we didn’t even get through it all driving!

One of the greatest, if not the greatest urban park in the world. Can be accessed through a hike through the hills if your in downtown or a ride through the MAX, Washington Park will give you unfiltered access to the beauty of the PNW, all within a short reach of downtown. This is a pinnacle of how we should combine our cities to the nature that surrounds it, instead of an urban sprawl that destroys it. So many trails to explore, hills to climb (if you love to cycle) and sights to take in. Must visit for anyone in Portland.
The Oregon Zoo is a large zoo with many different animal exhibits. It is focused on promoting conservation and has many endangered animal species.
Went on the first of January and they still had some snow from the week before but all the pathways were very well cleaned and salted. Couldn’t see some of the animals because of the cold I guess (it was a 27° kind of day). Some staff giving out some good information here and there like in the polar bear place. Cute Christmas lights all around and enough coffee and food shops. Some fun places for kids all ages to play around too. Totally wheelchair and stroller accessible.

07/08/23: the ticket is $24 per non-membership adult, and I thought it was a little bit expensive for a zoo ticket. However, the zoo experience did not disappoint me, and I enjoyed every minute of there
There are tons of animal shows which are at 11:15 am and 1 pm. We visited on Saturday morning, and it got crowded quickly with parents and children.
The Oregon Zoo is completely beating the Seattle Zoo in many factors: animal diversity, sceneries, and food trucks. I would love to be back soon

fun zoo the pathway is a little confusing sometimes and did cause us to backtrack to see the penguins. By far the coolest seal enclosure I've seen. the elephants seem well taken care of with lots of space compared to other zoo's. we went on a very hot day so some of the animals were away which I cant blame them one bit. overall good zoo experience. we have a 2 year old that almost never got out of her stroller cause she was tired and the zoo is very stroller accessible.

It's worth the membership.
I have a toddler and anytime we need an activity this is an easy go-to. The animals are well treated, the staff is decently friendly and, more importantly to me, trustworthy.
Twice I've lost items that were sent straight to the lost and found by the time i exited the park.
Plan ahead! See any of these viewings and you won't be disappointed:
Penguin feeding, Bird show, Elephant bath
You can also pet goats in the mornings, if you're into that sort of thing.
My toddler loves the train ride! It's super short and you won't see animals, but we always enjoy a little choochoo ride.
Find the harbor seals and the otters! They are my personal favorites.
I'm adding some holiday zoo lights photos as well.

This is definitely one of the most unique zoos I have every been to. It was beautiful with huge enclosures for all of their animals. I was especially impressed that you can see the animals pretty much anywhere they were in their enclosure. There are several ways to view each enclosure so you can be sure that you will get to see almost every animal they have. When we arrived at the zoo the bear cubs were high up in a tree and you could see them from the front gate. That was pretty awesome! My favorite enclosure was for the polar bears. They were playing in the water and were the most active I have ever seen polar bears in a zoo. There appears to be a lot of enrichment for the animals at this zoo and they appear to be pretty content. While we were there I would say we saw 95% of the animals they have which is pretty good in my experience. Usually there are animals put away or in areas that you cannot see. The way the zoo is laid out is really nice as well. We were there on a Tuesday morning in April and the zoo was fairly empty. It was really easy to get around and spend as much time as we wanted at each animal enclosure. I would definitely recommend going to this zoo if you are near Portland.

With a membership it’s a steal! Me and my kid and their friend were free. Only 21 for my boyfriend. Today was extra special because my daughter got to see her favorite animal -the cheetah up and close. We also saw an elephant playing with toys and numerous other animals! This zoo is a beautiful place set with numerous walking paths through wooded areas. A little water fall along the path and plenty of areas where kids can play. Good eats and you may also pack your own food. Just a word of caution…it’s very stinky in the area of the penguins and bats, so plug your nose! My kid wanted to leave immediately and I was hoping she would stay to watch the penguins more. Enjoyed the carousel and watching the train. You can easily spend all day here! Also, FYI the bathrooms near the elephants have more stalls than the front. If you need to go, that’s where you go!

A bit pricey at $24 per person, but overall a great experience. We visited on a Sunday and even with timed-ticket entry the zoo was crowded. There were multiple animal "shows" like scheduled feedings that were fun to watch. Very well planned walking path through the zoo, so visitors can view an animal enclosure from all sides and multiple angles.

Our family loves visiting this zoo. Besides normal visits, throughout the year, the zoo hosts fun events, like zoo lights, zoo nights, Halloween, etc. Our son loves looking at the variety of animals, especially the ones he has particular interest. The zoo also has a train he loved riding on, which does cost for each family member to ride on. If you plan on visiting more than twice I'd recommend getting an annual pass. Also, keep in mind you'll need to reserve a time slot before arriving. A great place to enjoy any time of the year!

This zoo is a really fun place to take your child. I've also taken dates here in the past and that was also fun. There are so many exhibits to see and interact with. Plenty of statues, and photo opportunities. The only problem I had was how expensive the food and drinks were. If I could give you one piece of advice it would be to bring all of your own food and drinks. You are allowed to bring your own so take advantage of it and do it. The zoo is already expensive unless you are low income and can show you receive food stamps or TANF. The elephant exhibit is amazing and I suggest seeing it.

Best medium sized zoo I've been to. The winding paths and elevation gains and losses create an adventure walk. Everything seems very well designed, organized, and enjoyable. The one way design makes navigating the crowds easier. Lots of food options about half way through is great. Elephant ears were a hit and we enjoyed the lunch we packed under a 4 bench picnic table with an umbrella. It was a workout making our way back up to the entrance. If we had more time, we would have enjoyed the train ride. Plan to go back if in town again in future.

Beautiful zoo! We went in late summer-early fall when the zoo was full of gorgeous flowers and plants between the exhibits which made for an amazing nature walk. The animals seemed well taken care of and happy. Fairly easy parking available with a lot of restrooms throughout the zoo and even free water filling stations which were nice on a hot day. They also have places you can buy lunch, dinner, etc; however, it is pretty expensive. For a water be prepared to pay $4+ and I believe a pb & j was pushing $7-10. You can bring your own picnic stuff though so come prepared. We didn’t make it into their store to shop as the day went by too quickly and we ran out of time. Check-in was simple with a quick scan of our mobile tickets. The online ticket situation was a bit confusing as they didn’t make it clear with the timed entry if that meant you only had a certain amount of time to be inside the zoo or they just wanted an idea how many people where inside. We were never told we had to leave in a set amount of time which was nice as the zoo takes several hours to make it through. The paths were clearly marked, they also have a zoo map available online and we also rode the zoo train that was fairly priced and our younger child really enjoyed it. Note there are not many animals you can see other than than elephants if they are where you can see them. It was a great family outing and we plan to go back again in a few years.

We did the Zoo Lights event! It was very well organized, free over flow parking with free bus ride to the front gates. There were some concession up with things like kettle corn, and elephant ears. The train ride is fun and you get so see even more lights. They do an amazing job getting so many lighted displays up. My 5 year old daughter really loved train and the trees that were wrapped in lights. The bug house was open for warming up and for viewing bugs. Most animals were not viewable, but elephants are awake at night and we were able to go to the indoor viewing area. 3 elephants were in their playing and eating! The keep was setting out hay bales to reach for and eat. It was wonderful.
It was sold out… but felt a bit crowded for my liking. Our group worn fun Christmas lights and it made it easier to keep track of each other with so many other people around.

I felt this zoo is underrated and should be more famous. The setting is beautifully done and each animal is given a lot of space to move around unlike the typical zoos. Probably this was the reason, every animal in here was actively moving around rather than lethargically lying in a corner. This makes it a fun experience for adults and kids alike. There were also some unusual exhibits like - Vultures feeding on a whole deer carcass which you can view at your own discretion, a beaver who has an underwater home inside a tunnel, weaver birds busy weaving pretty nests, playful otters, a mountain goat and much more. It's divided into ecosystems like African savanna, Polar passage, Primate forest, Great Northwest etc. There are other interactive experiences at different times and also a zoo train for five bucks. We went two hours before closing and had to rush through everything to complete on time. Ample amount of paid parking available.

Restrooms are clean mostly. Cafe and restaurant are pretty ok and little bit pricey. Parking lots are big but sometimes overcrowded. Summer time Friday and Saturday are busiest days. Sunday is little bit less people. But still busy. Animals mostly are happy and napping all the time. They seemed to clean up cages a lots. Kids have a great time. Best family time in Portland Oregon.

We came on a Friday morning when they opened. We bought our tickets via mobile phone maybe 15 minutes before we entered prior to getting into our car to drive there. There was still a decent amount of availability. Entering was easy with the QR code we received.
We saw some otters, bears, went on a merry-go-round, and had a blast!

We really do have a nice Zoo. The animals were all out and lively. The Red Panda was so adorable, I didn't get pictures, though. The Lions are just so majestic, I dropped everything and took pics of them.
However, the so-so food is really over priced, and they close way too early. They wouldn't let us go into the gift shop 30 minutes before closing. We were ready to overspend in there, but they were more concerned with closing the doors on time. That's fine. We will just bring our own food next time, and go earlier I guess.

The Zoo is a everlasting source of joy, offering year-round fun for all ages. With kids in tow, our visits are never hurried, and that's part of the charm—we always discover something new every time we visit.
Having cherished memories of this zoo since my own childhood, I've witnessed remarkable changes. The upgrades and new exhibits have transformed it into a captivating space. And let's talk about the Zoo Lights—it's a must-see! While there may not be many animals on display during this event, the breathtaking lights make up for it.
The Zoo Lights experience is pure magic. The dazzling display creates a spectacular atmosphere, and the best part is, you can go at your own pace. It's a mesmerizing journey that adds an extra layer of enchantment to this already fantastic place.
In summary, the Zoo offers not just a fun time but also a touch of magic, especially during Zoo Lights. The upgrades and thoughtful additions have truly elevated the experience. Highly recommend for families and anyone seeking a delightful escape!

I love this zoo. It is constantly improving. I've been going to the Oregon Zoo for 30+ years. It was fun to spend the day reminiscing about the way it used to look. Where the entrance used to be. What animals and events I'd been to over the many years. I love the knowledge of the volunteers and the friendliness of the staff. The animal enrichment keeps the animals rewarded and engaged and is so fun to watch. Membership is worth the price.

First off, I really liked the loop design where you follow a one-way path all the way through. The exhibits are organized into biomes, and the Pacific Northwest part was my favorite due to the shade and tree coverage above the walkways. Good and semi-reasonable priced cafes at the entrance and exit. Also plenty of restrooms and water fountains throughout.

The Oregon Zoo is absolutely amazing. I especially appreciate their elephant habitat. It is absolutely huge compared to any other zoo. They do a great job at providing their elephants with space. There is an enormous indoor space for when it rains. There is an elephant size pool, deep enough that the elephants can actually swim. The enclosure wraps around a significant portion of the zoo. Elephants can range quite a distance. Zoos are always a bitter sweet experience. Seeing such a large variety of majestic wild animals in one place is a great educational opportunity. On the flip side seeing the animals confined to enclosures instead of ranging freely in nature is always a bit sad. The Oregon Zoo does a great job of balancing the quality of life for their animals against the ability of the public to view and experience the animals.

I was impressed. One of the most beautiful zoos I've been to and the high quality of animal care was apparent. We saw some playing tigers and bear cubs, a young orangutan, and something I'd never seen up close before - sea otters! The interpretation was also good at noting conservation efforts for the species and how guests can take action themselves.
A few critical notes. The zoo key felt like being robbed since the machines were hard to locate and rarely worked. We also were turned off by the large cutouts of cartoon animals stationed around the zoo. I think they were going for a fun whimsical take on wildlife, and sure, art is subjective, but our group found them to be rather undignified and running counter to the zoo's apparent goal of encouraging respect for animals. The other upsells like the carousel and train were also pretty underwhelming.
All in all a good visit and worth taking a look. Just please be respectful and kind when observing the animals!

Loved loved loved!! Absolutely amazing how the zoo felt like it was part of the natural landscape. Amazingly curated of animals with educational information to learn more about the individual animals and its species. The way the zoo flows just makes sense and keeps the flow of people moving.
(*only thing I would say is don’t go in a colder day because some of the animals were not out to see)

The Oregon zoo is a wonderful zoo. The animals are well taken care of, and staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The elephant exhibit was amazing and the indoor part is so nice. Bathrooms are clean and well stocked. The zoo art is also very unique and fun to look at. If highly recommend visiting the zoo if you are in Portland

The Zoo lights during Christmas holidays are very nice, they did a great job decorating the beautiful lights in different animal shapes, and the big Christmas tree at the entrance is very cool. We enjoyed walking around in the park and seeing all kinds of animals lights. Definitely a good place to go at night with family and friends to have some holiday fun.
Prepared for big lines for the train rides.
Wish they have opened more areas, it feels smaller than before.

Love the Oregon Zoo! One of the best zoos I've had the pleasure of visiting. Just went last weekend and got to see the polar bear, red panda, and a baby rhino! Fantastic activity on a nice sunny day.
Note: parking can be a headache when the Zoo is busy (usually on sunny days), so I recommend either getting there early or being prepared to park farther away and take the free shuttle in!

Had a wonderful time touring the zoo with the family. Got to see almost all of it in an afternoon. Even stopped for an elephant ear treat. We loved the exhibits. It’s nice to have stops along the way to walk in for air conditioning.
Would love for their to be more dietary options, especially for Gluten Free people. My husband ended up not eating anything because he didn’t want a salad. Lactose free ice cream options too would be awesome! We love the zoo and will continue to be members!

Pleasant stroll through a ni E well maintained zoo. The animals seemed well taken care of and they had a little of all the main zoo animals. The elephant portion is huge and I guess they're known for their elephant program. Swing by on a weekday, not as big if a crowd.
A wonderful experience, a wine glass in your hand before you get to your seat. The whites were smooth and the reds flavorful, showing their different flavors across the valley. The cheese and charcuterie was a great accompaniment to the wines.
The hostess was very attentive and friendly.

The tasting lacked enthusiasm and Four Graces wine! Fortunately the employee helping us with our tasting allowed us to try an additional FG wine. The wine we tasted not by FG was mediocre, but the FG wine was pretty good. They had a lot of games you could play while sitting at your tasting, and they offered our son a juice box. There were positives and negatives, but overall a solid 4 star experience.

I was introduced to The Four Graces Pinot Noir in a local San Diego restaurant many years ago and fell in love with it (as well as the Four Graces story, having daughters myself!). I was excited to visit the Willamette Valley area recently and The Four Graces Winery was my first choice to visit. It is a gorgeous, sprawling vineyard, easy to find, and offers a very nice wine tasting service. A special shout out to Valerie Wilson, Manager of Guest Services, for going above and beyond. Don't miss a chance to visit this charming vineyard and sample some great wines! They also have an incredible wine club that encompasses not just The Four Graces vineyard, but includes member benefits at over 20 world class wineries in the Napa/Sonoma, Santa Barbara and Oregon areas. You will not find these reciprocal benefits with any other wine club that I am aware of, making the wine club an awesome value for anyone who has an interest in wine!

I grew up in the Niagara wine region of Canada and this was the best wine tasting I've been to. The wine was so exceptional we were convinced to take 2 bottles home with us. The service was lovely and the atmosphere was perfect. You can't help but feel relaxed and aristocratic here.

Great wine. $25 tasting free, which for Oregon is pricey. Owned by CA family so it makes sense. Well worth the stop.

We live in the neighborhood of Four Grace's Winery/Tasting room. They have a terrible carbon footprint. The pollution in the air from them burning huge piles of green vines and debris fills the entire area for days. I am unable to open windows or enjoy the outdoors. Just walking to the mailbox or walking my dog requires a mask from the thick smoke. Pruning debris can be taken to a recycle plant (for free) and made into compost just 12 miles away. I hope people will not support a winery with these type of practices.

What a fantastic experience. Elaine was a wonderful & knowledgeable hostess. Four Graces has a storied legacy & the Foley Family continues that tradition. Also, a shout out to Bailey for his graciousness.

Very nice wines. Although staff was friendly and welcoming, service was VERY slow. The charcuterie option was extremely meager and not at all worth the price charged. Unfortunately, hovering yellow jackets adversely affected the ambiance.

Was a member here for almost 2 years, and in the last few months have felt that things have really changed at the winery. I feel so disappointed in the last few months, and decided to terminate my membership because of it. The staff had become so unresponsive, and I haven’t been able to get anyone to email or call me back when I reach out. I’m not able to make appointments online, and can’t get a staff member to communicate with me so I can make appointments. I feel the staff no longer cares about their members, and when I terminated there was no attempt by the wine club manager to hear my concerns or make things right. The wine is amazing, but unfortunately the staff is the reason I decided to leave. Very disappointing.

This winery is absolutely amazing! The staff is friendly and welcoming! They have treated us so well both times we have visited. Recommend for anyone looking to taste in a chill atmosphere! Also, extra kudos to these amazing people who have treated us so well despite being young and only 21-24 years of age! Thank you Four Graces you are by far one of our favorite wineries/tasting rooms in Newberg/Dundee!

The Four Graces offers an excellent wine and outstanding service. We went specifically for Pinot noir, had four different samples and each of them was just superb. This is our day four in Willamette Valley and Four Graces placed among our top three wineries. Highly recommend it.

Tasting done out at a picnic bench which was absolutely beautiful. The pourer was attentive and we were able to enjoy a leisurely tasting. The wines at Four Graces are top rate!

Good wine, great atmosphere, friendly and accessible! Our "wine steward" was always at hand with a bottle to pour from. Staff was friendly and all those visiting seemed really comfortable, relaxed and social...a result of Four Graces casual approach to tasting. Wine good and affordable. Def recommend!
Argyle Winery is a renowned winery in the Willamette Valley region that offers tours, meals and tastings. Known for its high-quality pinot noir and chardonnay, it is one of the most popular wineries in the area. While some wineries offer tours, most have tasting rooms where visitors can enjoy their wines. The atmosphere at Argyle Winery is beautiful with a garden terrace that visitors can use when the weather improves.
Large modern tasting room with outdoor seating tucked in a charming town. Smooth and elegant wines, poured by a knowledgeable sommelier paired with a delicious charcuterie platter.

The vibe and layout here are spectacular. The walls and ceiling are immaculate, and very open for noise dampening. You might feel like you're around a bunch of people, but you can't pick out any one specific conversation. Which is great because this was our third stop out of three for our wine tasting day.
If you haven't read my other review, I was a designated driver for a girls night out, where I was designated an honorary female and allowed to sample wines, but not drink significantly. This tasting facilitator (I never know the technical term. Sommelier?), Phillip, also returned my back-and-forth banter about the vintage water options they had for tasting, and even brought out a few extra additions to our purchased tasting, since we were all getting along fantastically.
I especially enjoyed the "wine swingset" presentation that allowed the easy carrying of multiple tastings, sixteen filled wine glasses were brought out by one person, which is just outright impressive.
My wife and I bought three bottles of wine (mainly sparkling, which seems to be their specialty), a friend who accompanied us renewed their membership to their wine club, and both of the individuals who went with us bought their own few bottles of wine. In all, a successful trip, and highly recommended.
Also, Phillip's tattoo is not "F for Phillip." I'll let him explain the meaning to you, but hopefully I may have saved some of you who visit some embarrassment 😂

Great winery with a friendly staff. My friends are wine members and love the atmosphere. I have to say that it is a nice and cozy sort of feel. We went during a club event and just arrive early because the good can go quickly. The food was great and was paired with some of the tastings.

Was surprised to see that Argyle on had 4.3 stars. Although many probably want to be out in the fields this is a great in city location. The property also does a nice job not making you feel you are on the main drag. The wine was really solid, great price points for the quality. Edita helped us out and she is fantastic, seek her out!!

Should change the name to tasting room since it is misleading. Was expecting to visit a working winery since my wife knows the brand. The room itself was very nice but 45 dollar for four glass flights seems kinda high and the 45 charcuterie BOX way over price.

My beautiful sister-in-law took me for my first wine tasting experience, and it happened to be at the Argyle in Dundee. It was really fun we had sparkling wine and still wine. It was a unique experience in a very pretty place, and I want to do it again.

The best bubbly wine around. The atmosphere is beautiful, and they have a wonderful outdoor space that I can’t wait to use once the weather improves.

This was my first stop of the day. I had a great flight and charcuterie box. My server was wonderful and knowledgeable. At the end i told her i wanted a winery with mostly reds and she gave a great recommendation. Visit was Friday 4/14/23. The weather was amazing!

I am mostly a red wine drinker, but there bubbles were on point and I thoroughly enjoyed all if them as well as comparing the differed harvest times in their chardonnays. Whenever I walk into a bigger place, I assume the service won’t be top notch, but in a very hot and busy day, we were well taken care of and checked in on.
Very dog friendly!!!!

I typically don’t like to leave bad reviews unless the experience was really poor…. we showed up for a friends birthday celebration and came from another winery. i had called ahead to try to talk to them about us being late and called about 7 times. No answer. We decided to make the drive over. When we arrived we apologized for being late and let them know we did call and the lady at the front gave us a very hard time. this attitude did not change when i told her i did try to reach out. ( i understand being late can ruin the flow of reservations) and we would have gone somewhere else if they would have answered.
They greet you with a glass of champagne and they handed my friend a glass and then ripped it out of her hands and asked if she was 21.i understand doing your due diligence but the manor was rude and unprofessional and are also a group of younger women and no other individual from our party was asked if they were 21 or even carded.
Finally we were sat and our waiter was extremely rude and we had asked about ingredients and notes in the wine and he gave us short and snippy answers, did not explain the wine to us and had come over only once during our whole visit. We ended up getting only one glass of wine.
We love Argyle wine however this place was not pleasant. The service was abysmal and the staff was unfriendly and pretentious.

We went to the Helio Sequence concert at the Argyle Winery Tasting House. The wine served was excellent, but the winery peeps were even more amazing! They were cordial and very helpful. The combination of both led to a truly wonderful experience! Of note, the tacos in the picture were provided by an outside vendor for the event, Kopitos.

We were greeted with a lovely glass of sparkling. The place is airy and also comfy and modern. The wines were all excellent. We also had a delicious meat and cheese box that was perfect. Service was warm and also on point.
We will definitely come back!

This winery came highly rated and what was Interesting was the favorable comments from other winery staff about the location when I mentioned I had visited which tells you something.
All the sparking were good and the patio was nice. It's not on a vineyard but the space makes up for it

Really enjoyed Argyle on our trip out to the Portland area! The tasting room is right off the main road but you can't even tell. Its a nice spot with a lot of care put into it, just as the wines have a lot of care put into them. We had a great time with awesome service and some great wines. There are some seriously spectacular bubbles at this place.
We loved it so much we blew through all of our bottles and had to order more for the holidays!
It’s dog-friendly too!
If you're in the area, make sure Argyle is on the list!!

Driving back from the coast, my partner, her sister, and I decided to check out a winery in the Dundee area. Argyle came up as a top choice on a couple of the lists we found, and it was right on our route, so we were excited to try it. When we arrived and mentioned that we didn’t have reservations, the tone of the interaction completely changed. They said we could only do glasses (not a tasting), which was totally fine and expected given that it was a spontaneous visit. We were starving from the drive, so we asked about a cheeseboard, and they said they “might” be able to get us one. I was surprised they used this language given that the food was a pre-made charcuterie box (among stacks of many others) that they pulled from the fridge. They also said we would have to sit outside despite having several empty tables that never filled for the hour we were there. Fortunately, there were some concrete blocks to sit on as we worked our way through the charcuterie box. I enjoyed the wine, the food was decent - kind of your typical packaged stuff - but the service was disappointing. I know reservations are recommended, but a place like this may as well say “no walk-ins” if that’s the vibe they are going to exude. If you want to try Argyle and aren’t into degradation, be sure to make reservations. Better yet, maybe just buy a bottle.

When it comes to the perfect mix or venue, atmosphere, endless great wines and the beautiful blend of them all…it’s Argyle.
We recently had a birthday celebration there and we had a private room experience. Just walking in gives you all the happy feels because it really feels like you are stepping into another world. Elegant wine glasses, staff that curated the best flight of options, and of course friend and family time spent over a glass.
We love this place, especially the sparkling wine. If you are a Red drinker, white sipper or a sparkling popper, Argyle will offer them all.
We visited Knudsen Winery tasting room yesterday. I was so excited that I forgot to take pictures. This winery is a must stop! I am lucky to live close by to the Oregon Dundee Hills AVA and have enjoyed many different wines at different wineries. This one is will make the favorites. Many different Pinot’s to try, one of my favorites was Backstory. It is a fruity full flavor taste with a smooth finish. The Chardonnay was very good as well. The indoor tasting room is a bit small but very comfortable and I am looking forward to sitting outside on a warm spring day. The staff is very knowledgeable about the fruit the processing and the finished product. We were welcomed by Page one of the owners. She was very attentive during our whole stay. We came home with quite a bit of wine and a warm blanket and a book about their journey. Make your reservation today you won’t be sorry.

We had the privilege of touring this gorgeous vineyard with Paige Knudsen, the vineyard owner. She shared a wealth of information. My husband and I learned a incredible amount during the hike. Paige is a fantastic host. She treated us like guests in her home. I loved the wine tastings set up in two places during our hike. WOW! Best hike ever! Hike and wine! When we returned from the hike, the gracious staff served our delicious lunch. We tasted a variety of the amazing wines during our lunch on their beautiful patio overlooking the vineyard. What a visceral experience! The staff at the tasting room is second to none. We enjoyed learning about the vineyard from both Paige and Lester. They ensured we enjoyed every moment at Knudsen Vineyards. We loved the wines so much we joined the club! We look forward to enjoying a "taste of Knudsen Vineyards" at our home in Arizona each time we open a bottle. We will return here!

We had an amazing experience with the vineyard tour, lunch, and wine tasting at Knudsen on May 15th! Our tour guide Lester was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of wine making at Knudsen and in the area. We got rained on quite a bit for the tour, but honestly I expected nothing less from the PNW. We highly recommend the full walking tour to anyone interested in learning more about the wine making process.

We had an amazing tour of this beautiful vineyard on a wet, even snowy, day in late March. The tour included interesting stories about the history of the vineyard, the grape varieties and why they were chosen, why they are planted the way they are, and the wines they produce.
The tasting confirmed everything we expected about the fine quality of the Knudsen wines - a terrific rose, fantastic Chardonnay and, of course, out of this world Pinot Noir’s were had.
These are wines, and this is a vineyard, worth a visit! To continue enjoying these wines, we became Knudsen club members on the spot and are awaiting our first case (as soon as the temperature rises above freezing).
And, we will be back for another visit!

Delightful, chill tasting experience of Chardonnay and Pinot Noirs. Charcuterie plates and other nibbles available. We really enjoyed all of the wines tasted. Lester was friendly, knowledgeable about the wines, region and wine in general. Precautions for Covid are good, vaccine cards required (cool), good ventilation and the extra nice touch of blankets on our seats to allow for open doors on a bit chilly day.

We celebrated Father’s Day at Knudsen Winery with some of our kids and every aspect was truly fabulous! We ordered a couple of bottles: the Family Series 2019 Pinot was perfection-in-a-bottle and the rose is perfect on a warm summer day! The tasting room is nestled within the sprawling and beautiful vineyard - very picturesque! Guests can even book a guided hike that includes wine (of course!) and lunch!
The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and are on hand to answer questions, or they are sensitive about giving guests space and privacy while checking in periodically (our preference). Our family loved the entire experience and cannot wait to return!!

The Outlook and tasting room areas are beautiful and have lovely detail yet they felt comfortable and relaxing. It’s clear the Knudsen family has placed importance on welcoming visitors to their *home* and have created an environment that allows for connecting with others and enjoying the full experience.
We left with an additional bottle of Pinot Noir to enjoy at home and can’t wait to get back this fall for more, including some of their events! Thank you, Knudsen Family, for a great start to our day and for the history you’re sharing with your visitors.
