Great place for expos, easy to get to. Lots of parking. ($15.00) Nice that they have a skybridge so you don't have to walk in the elements or cross the road. Friendly staff, plenty of space, clean. Only downside was the water in the bathroom was ice cold.

Very nice convention center, I went there during Anime Central 2023. The venue is very big and is capable of holding large crowds of people. It is really large and spacious, and it has a second level as well where they held all the different panels for the voice actors and guests at the con. Very great place to visit, I definitely enjoyed my time there.

**Review: Donald E. Stephens Convention Center - Home of "World of Wheels"**
Nestled in the heart of Illinois, the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center stands as a beacon of excellence in event hosting. Recently, I had the pleasure of attending the "World of Wheels" event, and I must say, it was an experience beyond compare.
From the moment I stepped foot inside, I was greeted with a sense of grandeur and excitement. The spacious layout of the convention center provided ample room for enthusiasts and exhibitors alike to explore the dazzling array of classic cars, hot rods, and custom vehicles on display.
The attention to detail in the organization of the event was truly commendable. Every aspect, from the meticulously curated exhibits to the engaging activities and entertainment, was thoughtfully planned to captivate attendees of all ages.
The staff deserves high praise for their professionalism and dedication. Their friendly demeanor and willingness to assist ensured a seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone in attendance.
One of the standout features of the convention center was its state-of-the-art facilities. The well-equipped exhibition halls, modern amenities, and convenient parking made navigating the event effortless, allowing visitors to focus on immersing themselves in the world of automotive excellence.
Overall, my time at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center during the "World of Wheels" event was nothing short of extraordinary. It's no wonder this venue continues to be a premier destination for hosting memorable experiences. Whether you're a car enthusiast or simply looking for a fantastic event to attend, the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center is sure to exceed your expectations.

The space is plenty big.
Pick up for Uber and ride shares is easy enough.
They seriously need another Starbucks or coffee vendor in the building. When a show is going on the average (low end) wait time is about an hour.
They also need to bring in more food vendors. They have the typical concession snacks and liquor (which is nice) but for the hair show the POKE bowl people were the only healthy option catering to those with dietary restrictions and needs and the bowl was $17. With water $22 or $21 depending on the day (the same exact order 2 different days and the price changed by a dollar 🤦♀️
The event center should have charging stations and more places to sit.

• Parking: $15 (by the bridge)
• Bring your favorite walking shoes.
• Family friendly
• Junk food and alcohol is available
• Music: DJ and some cars played music like salsa 💃 and old reggae-ton, and some movie tunes
• Merch available: 👕🧦 🛠️ 🧰 🕶️ 🧽 & much more

• The escalators were very narrow and crowded.
• Car remote toys were awesome. All ages and genders were involved.

Such an amazing and great place to go to. I went with my boyfriend when they had the NFL card show convention going on and they have a bunch of memorabilia stuff in there and autographed items & items wore by football, basketball & baseball players! I would definitely go again! They just should keep adding new stuff each year like they did with all the Michael Jordan stuff this year!

If you're ever in town check out the RV show. Parking isn't bad it's around $15 you pay near the elevator. When using the parking garage walk towards the elevator once in push the SB (sky bridge) button this will keep you inside and you won't have to deal with traffic. This will also connect you with some of the hotels that are there which is cool. The pics were from the RV show during president weekend timeframe

Excellent place for Conventions and car shows. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. One flaw is food prices, but that's just Chicago. Enjoy!

This is a great place for whatever large convention they have. Plenty of parking across the street and heated walk way that goes above the street. Plenty of police in the area directing traffic. Also plenty of places to eat and have drinks after visiting the convention center. Been here several times and have absolutrly no complaints..

Attended the NSCC for the first time here. Loved every minute. Facility is very nice. Escalators can be used to access second floor. Plenty of restrooms. Parking is $15 at the parking garage next door which is connected with a sky bridge to avoid the street crossing.

Quite a spacious place for conventions, over 800k square feet! Lots of well lit and marked areas, and connecting to neighboring hotels is a great bonus. I attended MFF 2023 and it was a real treat having it hosted here. Definitely a great place for a convention!

Went to the rv show. Variety of different styles and sizes. Alittle overwhelming the amount that they have but you can narrow down what type you are looking for easier. Parking is 15 besides cost for admission

The Parkway Bank Park Entertainment District is a large and diverse complex that offers an array of dining options, entertainment, and activities. Among the attractions are Zanie's Comedy Club, an 18-screen movie theater, and a bowling alley. Visitors can also enjoy outdoor seasonal activities in the common area, including skating on the NHL sized ice rink during winter or attending free concerts in the summer.
Shared the Sugar Factory Rainbow sliders and Spinach and Artichoke Dip for a late night snack. Very good. Vanilla milkshake was delicious, topped with great whipped cream. Disco lighting gave a great party atmosphere. Of course before we left we shopped the candy store and found some tasty treats that least with us. Fun for a unique dining experience. Great for a meal, or, appetizers and drinks shared with friends!

Happened to be there on a Thursday night and there was a concert and fireworks. Gorgeous night. Music wasn't to my taste but still fun. While I enjoyed the fireworks it seemed they were a bit close and I got some debris in my eye and had to go to the eye doctor. Overall though I enjoyed myself. Lots of places to eat and find good entertainment.

I went here to watch Dune 2 by my onesie in Dolby. Nobody else in the family was interested so I did it myself. Dolby Cinema is mind-shakingly loud, but amazing in terms of immersion and quality. Parking is easy, ticket check on was seamless. However, this was a weekday afternoon, so I have no idea what it's like during peak hours. I can definitely say, if you want to see a movie with the highest quality video and audio in a comfy and convenient setting, won't go wrong here.

We enjoyed some New Years day fun at the Ice Skating rink in Rosemont. Entry is free if you have your own skates or $8 for rental. It's a full size hockey rink and the ice is pretty well maintained. It's gets busy toward the evening so get there early if you can. Parking is also free when you have them validate your ticket.

Excellent space for our corporate event. From event coordination, security, cuisine offerings, selection of drink options, and music choices, Parkway was the perfect venue.
While this could have easily been a different story, being an outside venue, Parkway doesn't dictate the weather, but the weather for our event was perfect!

boring, everything is closed, the bathrooms are out of service. Don't find parking, you have to go to the garage to park. $ 15 if you want to skate, you have to wait long in line.

What a great area right by the airport! We've started to stay in hotels by airport before picking up hire car as we have a 20 hour journey before we land in USA and are usually shattered. This area is a real pick me up and plenty of places to eat, kids to play. Nice way to start or end your holidays!;

Yo! I loved the heated seats! They get hot tho but it was still controllable due to a switch. As usual tickets cost were high, drinks and popcorn (small) were about $10 each so you know it burned a hole in the wallet quick but popcorn was perfect! The seats were awesome! I couldn't see the heads from the row in front and we had recliners with space for people to walk by fully extended. Wish they were made with thinner armrest for couples. It was like a soft wall kept us apart.
Still a fun time tho

The Parkway Bank park is a fun place to visit with its variety of attractions, including restaurants, bars, a movie theater, an outdoor park, and others. There's always a lot going on. Tonight, we had the added pleasure of watching fireworks while dining at a restaurant there. One advantage is the availability of free parking and the convenient location. However, despite the abundance of restaurants, the options for high-quality dining are still quite limited. Additionally, the parking structure could benefit from improved signage to help guide visitors to their desired destinations.

Plenty of places to dine, lots of entertainment and shops.
During the winter the ice ring is open and it's free, pay for ice skates. Rock climbing

A great place to spend a day out, especially in the warmer seasons. Formerly known as MB Financial Park, this place is what makes up the Entertainment District of Rosemont, IL.
It is a large green patch of grass surrounded by all types of bars, restaurants, a candy store, AMC theater, a bowling alley, a comedy showplace, and more!
There are live music events and other small festivals and events that take place here in the summer.
The cool thing is that you can drink alcohol anywhere on the premise in public but no outside food or drink is allowed.
Go to Kings Dining and Entertainment and have a couple games of Bowling, Shuffleboard or Pool with your family or friends, or enjoy some of their bar food and watch the game on their large screens, or visit Petes Tiki Bar and have a Hawaiian Tiki experience with great cocktails, or hit up the country bars or pizza places, grilled food or seafood spots around the park... or if you got a sweet tooth, hit up the Sugar factory and load up on your fav candies or sweet treats. Finally, have a belly full of laughs at Zanies comedy club or Skydive at IFLy indoor skydiving!
Theres always tons to do at the Entertainment District in Rosemont. Some of the places are even open till 1 am.

Went to watch Hasan Minhaj here.
Theater is very big. 32 dollars tickets were literally not worth it. Very far from stage and not even comfortable.
Nice ambiance, lighting facilities.
Beer, cocktails were like too costly.
Staff greeted well courteous and helped me with everything.

Our first concert at The Rosemont Theatre was fantastic. It's a great place to see a show. The acoustics are phenomenal, way better than any big arena. We saw Brett Young, Morgan Evans, and Ashley Cooke. We had 3rd row from the stage seats and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Just get there early to park and obviously be prepared to spend some $$ on food and drinks. 2 mixed drinks and 2 hot dogs was $61!!! But that's Illinois for ya. Other than the price of food and drinks everything was expected.

One of the nicer theaters I've been to in Chicago. Only thing that sucks is how hard it is to get to via pubic transport (depending on where you live). But I suppose that's the give and take of it. Very clean, fancy and grand appearance, comfortable seats, nice staff, and ample parking. I'd love to go to more events here.

Saw Shen Yun! Very nice show. The theater is spectacular! Hope to see more shies in the future. Parking is expensive $25. Not to many choices...
Stephen Jesenko — Google review
The concert was amazing...that is what we caught of it. The venue is located where there is very little parking. By the time we got off the 294 ramp, we waited another 30 minutes just to be told the lot was full and we had to park at the mall and walk in the frigid cold. Ugh! Won't go back there anymore! We missed the first 40 minutes of the show. HOWEVER, Mannheim Steamroller was great!!! Front row seats.

This is our first time at the Rosemont theater. We came for the Glenbrook North graduation for high school students for my niece. They did an excellent job with the graduation ceremony. Very clean inside and out. Very well organized easy access to seating. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had a wonderful time at the graduation!
Jennifer Munoz — Google review
Great concert experience right next to O'Hare airport.
It can seat about 4400 people.
If you sit in the corners then you don't have a good view.
But from the middle the view is good even from all the way in the back.
They have elevators that most people don't know about which will take you past all the crowds
The main negative is parking, all the spots close to the theater get full really early and you have to park farther away and pay $25 for parking and it takes like 30 minutes to get out of the parking lot.
Dr. Ravikiran Barigala — Google review
First time to this venue, and it was amazing! I loved how the theatre is, even sitting on the balcony, I felt I was able to see the stage very clearly, about to see artists perform easily. Parking was no issue, and the staff was helpful. The venue looked rich.
Kunal Mehta — Google review
Attended a Disney concert here with family and we had a great time! We got there early, so parking was a breeze, even if it was $25 to park. We got in right away and security was quick to check our bags, and the person scanning the tickets was helpful in letting us know where our section was. There was a bathroom right across the hall from where we were to be seated and that was very helpful. The person at the door helped us to find our seats, too.
While we very much enjoyed the concert, there was an issue with the aftermath. We wanted to wait for things to die down before leaving, and find a place to eat after, but we were rushed out of the theater! Not only that, but we were rushed out of the building as well! Why? For what reason? Do you all not see the insane chaos of getting out of the parking lot? Was there another event happening later that evening that you needed us all out for? It would take longer for the stage crew to break down the set for another show to happen that evening. Did you all force them to rush too and possibly break the set? We ended up going our separate ways since we couldn’t find a place to eat with what little time we were given to look around before being rushed out. That felt very rude after such a magical preference. Give people time to relax and wait for the rush to end. Some of us don’t like having to fight traffic to get out of a parking lot, mainly in an area like that.
Also, unless you are very hungry or thirsty, DO NOT BUY FOOD OR DRINKS FROM HERE!!! Very expensive!!! I’ve been to the convention center before and only got a water when it was necessary and I paid $5 for that. The price at the theater was $7 and some change. Nope! Not worth it!

Really love this venue! Came to see Christian Nodal and I had a lovely experience. We ordered some tequila sunrises they were delicious, but a little bit pricey. That’s to be expected in concerts. Will definitely be back to enjoy more concerts coming up.

Great venue! Went to see Walker Hayes. Really not a bad seat in the place. Staff was very helpful with finding our seats and serving drinks at different stations throughout the theater. There is no food served there but PLENTY of options for dining right around there. Will for sure go back for another show.

Super nice place with friendly staff. Parking was really easy to get in and thanks to Chicago P.D. We had a great time we got to see our daughters graduation from Benedictine University! Was able to walk around the theater inside and out to get some really nice pictures. Was able to accommodate all family members and all graduates really well. Would love to back sometime and catch a show there!

It's been a while since we've been to the Rosemont Theater many years probably. They did not disappoint however. The parking was spot on. We were parked and out of the car in less than 10 minutes and there was a lot of cars! The theater was clean, staff was friendly, and the concessions were expensive. We had great seats for the show and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly on our date night!

Attended the 20th Anniversary tour of Celtic Woman. The parking was plentiful and close to the theater, though we encountered rain from the parking lot to the building. Once inside the venue was well lit and very active. The doors to seating opened at 2:25 pm for the 3:00 performance. The view from our seats was spectacular and the sound was excellent. The performance was incredible. We really enjoyed the show.
Craig Martin — Google review
Beautiful place. Love the theater vibe with the huge chandelier over the grand staircase. Seating is spaced out and comfortable. Balcony seating didn't seem too far from the stage either. It allowed us to enjoy a great show last night.
Susan Torres — Google review
Do not come to this venue for concerts unless you are in row 1. This is not a stadium seating venue. They advertise great sightlines regardless of seat location. This is not the case. If you have someone who doesn't stand in front of their seat and decides to stand in the middle of two seats your view will be blocked. You have no where else to move since it's a smaller venue. Promoter of the event nor, ticketmaster refuses to issue a partial refund. The venue won't even respond to my emails or calls either.
Update: they also failed to respond to my BBB follow up as well.
Jennifer Moy — Google review
Very intimate smaller theater. Sound perfectly amplified and resonated throughout the space. Thank you for booking this show which fulfilled my dream of seeing S Club live. It means everything...
Free parking was close and easy to find in the area. Area was safe and easily navigated. Staff was polite and helpful. Pricing for ticket was very reasonable for our super close seats. Would definitely attend another event at the Rosemont theater anytime!

Absolutely beautiful place. The Derek and Hallie Hough dance show was outstanding and a great show as well. I would 100% see his show again, just not at this theater unless some majpr training was done on the security.
The only other item was that there were no non-alcoholic beverages that weren't pop. Those of us unable to drink for any reason from the design driver to medical conditions doesn't mean we don't want to enjoy a nice virgin slushy, too. There were also no straws for the drinks that weren't 4 inches tall. The bigger the straw, the faster people drink, the more they buy. Seems common marketing knowledge to me, but the only straw for a 16oz pop was a 4 inch coffee straw.
Now the hough show invited all guests to take videos and photos of the whole show and the dancers. It was an announcement made for all to hear, including the security staff.
Most of the security ladies i met were kind and helpful, but several were lacking in personality and basic principles.
That being said, several of The security staff needs to learn the concept of "backstage" if there are no signs posted and you are taking a video of a dancer in a public lobby,( where you paid a ticket to be, then there is no expectation of privacy. Nothing said it was a backstage lobby, and we were ushered there as the theater emptied. Never being told it was a backstage restricted area, especially since it was next to the public bathroom. )
Whether the dancer is with family or not. She is a performer. People paid money to see and take photos. Invited by the show to take video and photos of her no less.
So, for security to demand anyone to not take a video because it's her family is nonsense. If we had not simply backed down the way we did, that guard was more than ready to escalate a situation for no reason other than her ego...and then NOT to know what the concept of the 1st amendment and what no expectations of privacy in public actually means is disheartening. She was the topper to a terrible display of security from the beginning. So many of us were joking about it, but how many will actually call or write something, I don't know.
The security coming in did a horrible job wanding us for weapons.
My friend and I and the people sitting around us were commenting that we didn't feel confident or safe that there were no guns inside the theater with the way they were searching for people coming in.
The two guards at our door literally took the metal detection wand from our chest to our thighs so quickly, never asked us to lift our arms, never wanded our backside or ankles. All places a holster could be put. Our bags were not wanded. It was a pathetic attempt at giving a false sense of security. The people around us commented they were experiencing similar search styles. Not at all feeling the security was even trained security or maybe just Temps hired and given shirts.
I would bet if the Hough production company knew their dancers were in danger from the security's lack of training, I would think they would think twice about returning. No successful dancer or actor wants to know their safety, and the safety of their paying guests is taken so Flippidly. 🤷
The bathrooms were okay, but no attendant was there to help when the toliet paper was out or a door was locked but empty. One woman in the stage right bathroom actually laid on the ground to unlock an empty stall to help speed up the line for others. She didn't work there. she just didn't want anyone to miss the show either. Why wasn't there staff inside to help with anything that popped up during the 20-minute intermission?
The theater is beautiful but there is some major room for training improvements.
Church Street Brewing Company is a family-owned brewery that offers tours and has a taproom open on specific days. The brewery hosts live music, food trucks, and provides free event space with over 30 taps. It's a kid-friendly and dog-friendly place with a summer patio. They offer various beer styles from Pilsner to Imperial stout, as well as wine barrel and bourbon barrel aged beers. The brewery is actively involved in the community by serving beers at local festivals and bars.
We hosted our baby shower at church street, and it was amazing. Everyone loved the atmosphere. We worked with Jace before, during, and after the event. The food was amazing, I did not receive a single complaint from my very picky family members, they all agreed it was amazing. The guest enjoyed the beer and we even did a growler with a beer of choice as one of diapers raffle gifts and it was the most popular one! I am so happy we hosted our event here, it went so smooth and hassle free. I will definitely be hosting events again here in the future!

Beer pretty good.
Food is good.
-2 stars for not having flights. Having “preset flights with no substitutions” is not good. Honestly having no flights would’ve been better flights allow newcomers to try different beers at your establishment. I probably won’t come back until they have unrestricted flights.

IPAs were very good and the friendly service was even better! Truly dog-friendly and availability of parking was a big bonus. As visitors from out-of-state traveling in a vehicle with our pooch, we had great difficulty finding “dog friendly” (per Google reviews) venues that actually allowed dogs and had on-site parking.
Staff kindly suggested a few other places we might be able to visit, as well.

Tried all of their sours and the Lemon Cream Sour one was by far my fave. Not a huge German beer type of gal but the ItascaFest Marzen Lager was good. Snoozed on the delicious-looking pizzas but ordered their Sriracha Maple Bacon instead and it was super flavorful. Will be back to try their 'zas for sure. Enjoyed live music as well from a performer by the name of Johnny Don't - a storyteller and talent to check out.

Talk about a great beer selection! The Italian Plum and the Lemon Cream Sours are a definite try! Be aware, the Lemon Cream, is like a lemon head but in beer version! Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars, my group didn’t have the warmest greeting from the staff but overall was nice.

I’ve had the pleasure of watching this place grow from a small taproom to a full service brewery. They have beer of all styles from Pilsner to Imperial stout as well as wine barrel and bourbon barrel aged beers. They are super present in the community serving beers at local fests and on tap at local bars. The quality gets stronger every year they are open and now they have a full service kitchen serving pizzas, salads and other great food menu items. The pimento cheese dip and Bavarian pretzel are amazing. In addition to their brewery they opened hop garden in Hamilton lakes last summer and it’s a great spot to relax outdoors near a pond and enjoy a cold beer. My absolute favorite beer is Paint It Plaid. It’s a delicious scotch ale and you won’t find a better scotch ale anywhere else. They have events all the time at the brewery and are welcoming to all kinds of patrons. A great place that my family enjoys food, beer and live music.

Only downside is that some of the seats are showing wear and tear. Other than that I truly enjoy our visits here.

Went to the Marcus Addison Cinema on a Tuesday and paid $6 per ticket being a magical rewards member. Members pay 20% less at concessions, additionally are eligible for deals such as a large drink and popcorn for around $11. The popcorn is in the second photo and comes with 1 free refill.
The popcorn for the day was good, wasn’t fresh, but still good. Drink station was clean. The seats were very comfortable and reclining, however, my seat particularly had the leather ripped up which was the only one in that theatre.
Concessions line went pretty quick for a 7pm viewing.
Overall great experience, few things that could be improved.

Still enforcing useless masks to enter. You are better off finding a theater that is pro choice and pro freedom. I will never bring my family to this place again. They do not deserve my money. The lady who's sole responsibility is to scan tickets was rude and just unpleasant.

When to see the rise of gru! I purchased my ticket on line. I waited at the ticket booth until I read on my on-line ticket that said no need to stop at the ticket booth go straight to the ticket takers. So I left the line and entered the lobby. Jenny (someone with a control complex) asked me if I had a ticket? I replied yes. She then told me to exit the lobby. Not to get beck in line. Then proceeded to let the people in line behind me go ahead of me. Even thanked the lady behind me for waiting. My pre-ordered drink and popcorn I again waited in line to be told to go to the other side to pick up my order where I waited again. The Restroom definitely needed attention. Also the automated drink machine did not work.

The atmosphere is very good, the staff was friendly and the seats recline with comfort. However, I went to a Tamil film here and it seems nobody was monitoring the individual theater. Once I let them know the sound was too much, they did promptly send someone to fix it. At the middle of the film, they are supposed to pause for Interval. However, they didn't seem to realize Tamil people need Interval break in the middle of the film.
This was a great 3 star experience for me seeing a Tamil film, but I think a few small tweaks on their end could make this a 5 star theater.

The theater is big and spacious and has several options for anyone who wants to eat or drink. They definitely need to do better with the upkeep of the facilities 2 of the 4 seats that I purchased were broken and did not recline. My biggest turn off was when I walked in with my family I was greeted by an individual who I thought was a employee of Marcus Cinemas that was handing me a gift card. At first I was thinking this is great until I heard that I would have to change my gas provider to receive it. I was annoyed in the fact I was out enjoying my time off and I was being solicited within the the theater. Honestly Marcus Cinemas you need to do better especially if you want customers to return. If I want to change my provider of my utility service then I would initiate it on my own. I definitely didn't appreciate that in sense Marcus Cinemas didn't respect time and money by allowing this to happen. People are going there to get away and relax from the normal daily grind. Not to be targeted by solicitors.

First time back here since Covid. We came on New Years Eve, so not a lot of people. What a nice theater and friendly workers. It was nice yo see abmoviebon the big screen and get out of the house.

A nice theater. I get it, you want to make money, but the prices for concessions were insane. $23 before tax for two small drinks and a popcorn.
The lounge chairs were quite comfortable.

I’ve been going to this theater for the last 15 years. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I will no longer go to the theatre anymore. The upkeep of this place went completely downhill. As soon as I entered a theatre room there is a strong smell of mold that’s just unbearable, the seats are always sticky along with the floors, and the bathroom is absolutely . On top of that the staff are always so rude. There just young kids who don’t care about their jobs. I’m not asking for much. I tried giving this theatre few chances by going a few more time but it’s the same thing. It’s so sad. This was such a great theatre that’s near by and always been my first choice to go here with my friends and family

Theater requires tickets and concessions to be purchased in advance. Premises seems clean. Seats are cushioned and very comfortable. Drinks and the Icee machines are available for you to self dispense.
I didn't see anything wrong security wise as the parking lot was adequately lit up and no presence of any sketchy element was to be found. I went on a Thursday evening if that matters. In short a nice facility.

I would not come back to this theater if I had a choice. First, they sold me old, stale/hard pretzel bites. For $7.95, I expected something freshly made. The pretzel bites looked/tasted like they were made a week ago, they were completely inedible.
The popcorn did not taste fresh and had NO salt on it. And many of the seats in the theater were extremely worn with ripped leather. I would choose any other theater in the area over this one (or even drive further out of the way to a different theater). Probably my least favorite movie theater experience I have ever had.

I've been going to Marcus theaters in Addison for nearly a decade with my family. I've never had a horrible experience until today. Eric, the tall person at the front ruined our entire night. Myself and 3 of my party members entered the theater and after scanning our app we informed him the remaining 2 of our 5 party members were going to arrive late but would scan their app at the front when they arrive. Not only did Eric not allow our 3 party members to enter the theater until the last 2 of us arrived 5 minutes later, He scoffed, rolled his eyes, and shook his head at my elderly mother when she asked what was going on while he made her stand at the entrance. Extremely rude and unprofessional. I discussed his attitude later after the movie and he not only refused to apologize, but was very condescending as well. I can't believe the theater I cherished for years would allow someone to treat people like this. I've heard other complaints about this person but ignored them until now. Please address this Marcus theaters. Until then I will not return with my family.

Great accomodations but I got intoxicated by one of their hotdogs. First the guy said they didn't have hotdogs, but when he checked the machine he found some and sold them to us. But who knows how much time and in what conditions the dogs were stored...
Lincoln Park Zoo is a small, free zoo with lions, primates, reptiles, a children's area and an interactive farm exhibit. It is located in the heart of one of Chicago's most popular parks and is accessible to local families. The zoo offers attractions for kids including the marvelous Endangered Species Carousel and Lionel Train Adventure.
I took my son on his first trip to the zoo and he had a blast. Due t his age, he rode in a stroller. The entire place was very easy to navigate and my son was able to get good views of the animals. Given the time of year, there was a fair amount of grounds and exhibit maintenance happening. Although disappointed we couldn't see everything, it's great to see that the city is doing a great job to keep the facilities looking good.

The zoo is free and is in the nice Lincoln Park area. Great views nearby and it is at a relatively convenient location with respect to the main attractions downtown. It is a little over an hour of leisurely walk from the Millennium station. The zoo is not large so there are not many animals to been with. I was able to see some animals but a few were not available. I did not check out the farm, train, food options or the gift shop, so no comment on those.

Spectacular 🤩 it’s free; you can make donations to help keeping the zoo with free admissions…. Beautiful; there are many animals you can see nearby… My family loved it!! A must visit place to go while in town.

Beautiful zoo. Great views of the animals. While some of the animals seemed stressed, most seemed pretty active and happy! I really loved seeing the lions. Free zoo, so you can feel guilt free using Photo Booth and gift shop!

I was surprised to see that there is no entree fee for the zoo, it is completely free. Not very big zoo, but nice, well maintained. Have nice collections of animals. Close to downtown and well connected via bus. Which is really good news for people coming from outside.

Small zoo with it's own charm! I think it's one of the few zoos in the US that has free admission and they do accept donations from visitors. It's a nice place to just walk around and see animals although there were a few areas where I didn't see animals in them. There are also rides for kids and food available in the main court. It's not the biggest zoo you can be in but it's definitely worth the time to see what they have; and the best part about it is that it's free.

I’ve been here twice, and both times have been great. The zoo is free, and it has so many animals. The bathrooms are kept very clean and both times I’ve been, the animals have been out. The animals seem happy and well taken care of. You will need at least 4-6 hours to get through the whole zoo, as it’s massive.

Great zoo. One of the best. Smaller zoo so everything to see is close together. Plan on half a day and entry is free so you can't beat it. Kids had a great time and the animals were accessible and closer than at other zoos. I hadn't been here for 30 years and they've made a lot of great improvements while maintaining the historic charm.

This is a beautiful zoo! Well designed and lots of staff to help with questions. Many of the animals were not out and we assume it was due to the cold.
They also had a special event so we could not see the penguins. But we got to see lions, polar bear, monkeys and painted dogs
The best part is it is free!

I was shocked this is free entertainment. Our local zoo is a $25 per person which is fine to help out the animals but it is quite nice that this zoo is able to keep it free. Go NOW if you haven’t seen the baby lion. One of the cutest things I have seen!! It is a smaller zoo but had a perfect variety of animals. I really enjoyed visiting.

Beautiful urban zoo nestled in Lincoln Park, the animal exhibits are inviting and the foliage gives an added nature touch. This is a free admission zoo. The ponds are something to behold with a variety of birds, turtles and fish. Lions, gorillas and the red panda are just a few of the animals you will be able to see. For the little ones the farmland area is perfect. I do recommend visiting the nearby Lakefront trail and Alfred Caldwell Lily Pond if you have time.

Very nice free zoo! It was a ridiculously hot day, but we still had a blast. A few animals weren't out due to the heat, so we'd love to come back when it's cooler. Good size for younger kids.

Can't express how great this zoo is, and the fact that it is free is amazing. What a gem. Right in the middle of several amazing parks. The grounds are really set up well, the animal enclosures are fantastic, and it's a beautiful garden. If you are ever in the area it is completely worth the visit.

This is such a lovely zoo and it is free. It is a well-endowed zoo that is maintained well and has excellent exhibits as well as some thoughtfully designed spaces.
We went in November and lucked out with exceptional weather. Despite the sunny skies, the zoo was lively and busy, but not overly crowded. It has great spots to eat and sit for a spell after walking so much.
The extras like the carousel and ferris wheel etc. do have a cost but it isn't astronomical.
A word of caution, some things like the cafe and conservatory close at 4pm so not a spot to head to later in the day.
Don't forget to check out the ducks and swans. The reptile house was also a favorite of ours. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

First time going here and it was nice to see. Parking a car costs, but the zoo is free. I took the 22 bus from downtown,I saw the seals, flamingo, gorilla ,lions, zebra. Flowers are blooming, this Saturday was a perfect spring day. Lots of walking, around the pond. I sat and people watched while I had popcorn (sm 7$, lg was 9). There are lots of other food options including bringing your own and sitting in the grass. Gift shop was good, plush toys, t shirts, mugs. There is a kids farm, I saw the goat and cow here.

For being free, this zoo is amazing! I love the wide variety of animals, and how quiet this location is, especially being in the downtown area of Chicago.
We went in February, and while we weren’t able to see all of the animals, the ones that were out and about were so beautiful!

The zoo itself during the day is free. Been that way since like the 1860's. They close at like 1530 hours, 330pm for you civilians, and reopen again at like 1800 hours, 6pm, for the zoo at night 🌙. A festive holiday theme that us $15/person I believe? Either way well worth the price of admission!
Got to see lions 🦁 roaming around on heated rocks 🪨. Red Pandas 🐼, polar bears, and many other animals at night.
The lights are ALL over the park and beautiful. Most of the attractions are open and most of the animals, surprisingly, were out and about. All the stores and shops are open as well, so plenty to spend on in there. Not wildly over priced either which is nice.
If you haven't been I would recommend 👌.

Nice place to visit, just to go exploring. The lion exhibit was beautiful, as was the monkey exhibit. Unfortunately, several animals were not out because of the raining, cold weather. It is also a great location for fall photos! The environment was awesome with various colored leaves, both on and off the trees. This zoo is well worth the visit and admission is always free!

I love this park and try to make sure I get in a visit every time I'm in the area. The animals here are well taken care of, as are the grounds. It's a beautiful little place.
If you're just stopping by for a few hours before traveling, they have lockers that you can rent. They're big enough to hold a suitcase and are only a couple of dollars.
If you're visiting, especially with family and friends, definitely come check out this zoo.

I'm shocked at the wonderful construction of this zoo. It appears to be built for viewers. The shaded areas where wildlife would sleep through humid days are easily accessible to guests. I have never been this close up with wild animals and I'm so grateful this wonderful zoo is preserving wildlife and allowing people to enjoy them. I've been to many zoo but none have astounded me quite like this one. It has a wonderful ratio of cool, indoor areas to sunny outside. I saw workers consistently checking on the animals, clearing their habitats and reconstructing their spaces. The worker vehicles may overshadow some places but we were able to find the same animals in the inside exhibits. I was so amazed with how the animals in this zoo reacted in comparison to other zoos. They seemed free-er and happier. I met one lady in the indoor bird exhibit who answered my childrens' random questions. She was just admiring the birds and providing us with wonderful knowledge of a lifetime. The food there was also great and very decently priced. It cost similarly to fast food and rated better. The chili cheese dogs were dripping with beans, onions and peppers. Workers, animals, flowers, and experience were so wonderful. Thank you for giving us wonderful memories. We are officially drawn to chicago thanks to this zoo. Sincerely, country folk.
Suggestion: We originally went on a warm Sunday and sat in traffic for hours. We could find any parking, including the paid lots. We are from Indians so the traffic is very fresh for us. We went back Monday morning and had a perfect experience. Don't go on a weekend!! We paid 28 for parking at the conservatory. Bring water as the fountains don't operate right now.

Fun little outing with the kids to see the Christmas lights. We tried to go on the free night but Schedules didn't allow it. Wish they had more free nights, 5 star if they changed that. The lights were great and the kids enjoyed it. We spent about an hour walking through and were able to see everything. Drinks and treats were priced out of our budget but others were buying.
The John Hancock Observatory is located on the 94th floor of the John Hancock Center and offers panoramic views of Chicago and its surroundings. The observation deck features high-powered telescopes that allow visitors to view landmarks such as Willis Tower, Navy Pier, and more from 1,000 feet in the air. In addition to the beautiful sights below, 360 Chicago also provides informative audio commentary and educational displays about notable landmarks around the deck and on the elevator ride up.
What amazing view from all four sides of the building. The price is not cheap, especially if you add the tilt but it will be worth your money for sure. We went up about 45 min before the sunset. This was a perfect time. You can see the city and lake with daylight, watch a beautiful sunset over the city and then see the lights as it gets dark. The sunset reflecting off the lake was absolutely breathtaking. It was not crowded and could find window front views. The line to the elevator was long but moved quickly.

I think it is one of the best places that you can have elevated view of Chicago. I suggest to go there close to sunset, the view is awesome when it gets dark. It also has a tilt window, which you need to pay extra, but worth it. It also has a part as sky walk, where the don't have windows and you can feed the wind. I really enjoyed visiting this place.

Nice 360 degree views from all around the 95th floor. The restaurant and souvenir shops are good as well. As for the Tilt attraction, it is not up to the hype. It falls short of the expectations. Firstly, it is too short of an experience.. (might be a minute to two at most). Secondly, the actual Tilt is not that much.. It should be at least 60 - 90 degrees to have some adventure and thrill aspect in it. Given the high prices and expensive photos, it doesn't just cut it.

Wonderful view from the top. The tilt experience worth a lot. We got a small problem with the reservation and Lucia, from the customer service, helped us to solve it, and in general all the staff is very helpful. Maybe the service of the bar can be improved, the cocktails are not good enough for the price of the ticket

Definitely recommend going half an hour before sunset. Tickets around that time sold out fast so I'd recommend buying in advance. The line wasn't so bad, it was a 5-10 minutes wait for me when I went on a Thursday evening. lt was so worth it! The sun setting down on the skylien is a magical moment. They have the bar ready if you want to watch the sunset and sip a drink or two.

Absolutely a must-see in Chicago! This tower is pretty amazing. The entrance is pretty cool with all sorts of amazing Chicago facts on the walls. I love how the criss-cross beams that make up the structure are visible on the inside as well. We went on kind of a cloudy day, but even still the view of the city was awesome. Excellent viewing opportunities on each 4 sides of the building. There's even a bar if you want to get something to drink! We did the Tilt which was so fun, and freaky at the same time. I honestly was not expecting to tilt out as far as we did but that made it even more fun! 100% recommend everyone does it. A weird little oddity that was both terrifying and cool at the same time was the amount of spiders that make their up up that high on the building. A lot of the widows are just covered in them, and it's so strange since they're so high up, but was kind of neat. There's a wonderful gift shop with mostly reasonably priced items for your Chicago merchandise needs.

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! For sure a must visit while you are visiting Chicago or a long time resident! The price was very reasonable for the experience you receive! The views were spectacular and a beautiful sight to see. Highly recommend visiting during the evening hours, near sunset and well after and you can just watch the city glow! Bar is well stocked with many drink choices and a variety of beer and liquor to choose from! Overall exceptional experience and well worth the wait!

Tickets are cheaper online than at the location.
If you are active military or veteran, you get 10% off at site. Thereby your online or site pricing would be same i.e $90 for two adults (Tilt and View) tickets inclusive of taxes.
The queue wasn’t that bad for the weekend compared to insane wait times at The Edge OR One World Observatory in NYC.
The views are fantastic and experiencing Tilt is worth extra $10.
City Pass doesn’t include Tilt.
Washrooms are easily accessible and clean.

What a great view. You have an amazing view of the lake and the city. With the morning sun shining it's just beautiful. The Tilt experience was very brief. Neat, but brief. It was very nice! Too bad the rooftop bar was under construction, but there was still a "bar area". Definitely download the app to view the history of the different buildings! We went on a Sunday and it was very crowded (I don't like large crowds) BUT there is plenty of space/places to sit/places to take pictures so it didn't feel crowded. Definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience even for a resident!

Spent four days in Chicago from the UK and this was the first place we went. What an amazing modern building that definitely stands out in the Chicago skyline. We went up the building about mid morning. The price to go up and for tilt are pretty reasonable. There weren't any queues as it was a Thursday, so we went straight up. It's amazing how quick the lift is to the 94th floor.
The views are just spectacular! There are digital maps so you can zoom in and out and scroll around so you know what you're looking at.
Tilt was fun. It makes you a bit nervous as you start to tilt out and face down, but it's definitely worth it.
The staff are friendly, welcoming and happy go help.
Definitely worth having a drink at the Cloud Bar while you relax and take in the views.
I would definitely recommend visiting!

This is a neat thing to do, especially for first time Chicago visitors such as ourselves. I had high hopes for this, which is probably part of the reason I was a little disappointed. For $45 a person, it just didn’t live up to the hype. The view is beautiful and it is 360°, However the tilt thing wasn’t all that exciting, and only goes 30°, which means you’re barely tilted over the edge. I know for some people it is scary, but I think it needs to tilt over much more for people such as myself that want something more exciting. it also only lasts for about 20 or 30 seconds. I’m giving it 4 instead of 3 stars because of the beautiful view, clean environment, and plenty of space. All of the staff at the front desk on ground level and much of the staff for the elevators and in the observation deck are fairly inattentive and rude. In fact, the only staff member that I recall that smiled and was friendly and polite was the young girl that took our photo on the 1st floor.

We walked straight in after buying tickets online, but we shouldn't have bothered as there was no queue. The views at the top were amazing, and as it was really quiet, we got a window table to enjoy our drinks while enjoying the view. The building has great views over Lake Michigan and the city surroundings. I had a go on the 'Tilt', but it was a bit disappointing; it was over very quickly and it was definitely a not-very-scary experience. It was not worth the $10. However, the 360 Chicago generally was worth the entry price, and I would definitely recommend it.
Patricia Goldring — Google review
The 360 experience was quite great and expansive, even on a day with limited/no visibility. We saw clear views north of the Lincoln park, the Michigan lake and the navy pier, with cloudy views of the south side with buildings. There are tall chairs, where one can sip and watch the cars go by with views of the cement beach and the Lincoln park.
Would advise booking tickets at least 2 days in advance, to prevent paying surge prices. The best time to visit is either in the afternoon, where the John Hancock tower casts long shadows or in the night, where one can watch the tinkling lights of the city. Worth the visit. Looking at the bird's eye view of the Chicago skyline is an amazing experience.

I had a few minutes for lunch and my hotel was close so I decided to get my TILT on at the 360 CHICAGO Experience. This spot provides a very unique perspective of Chicago's skyline. You’re standing within it on the 94th floor of the John Hancock Building. Ascending 1,000 feet above the Magnificent Mile, there are panoramic views for days. And now, we TILT on Chicago's highest thrill ride, offering a unique encounter with Chicago’s skyline as the glass lookout tilts outward. That’s right, you are planking toward the south. Incredible! So glad I did this.

The views were absolutely amazing! I enjoyed the entire experience. I just wish there were better directions given for lines to form when your time slot comes up. The views are absolutely stunning! There really wasn't any direction on where to go or what to do. We got there at our time and there was a massive line. We decided to get our drinks before waiting, which was smart because it was sooooo hot in there. We were able to finish our drinks before our turn, but we didn't end up doing the Tilt experience until after 9. We were scheduled for 8. The people in front of us were supposed to be after us. It didn't make any sense. It was super crowded and hard to get pictures, which sucked because that's the whole reason for going up there. We still managed to make the best of it, but just know if you schedule a time, it doesn't mean that's when you will actually be doing it.

Had an absolute blast visiting this iconic spot in Chicago! Stumbled upon it after watching this insane video on askLAYLA and knew I had to see it for myself. The 360 views are out of this world – you literally get to see the entire city skyline from a bird's eye perspective. It's a must for anyone wanting to soak up the city vibes from above. Whether it's day or night, the views are stunning, but catching a sunset here is next-level amazing. They've also got a little cafe where you can grab a drink and just sit back to enjoy the scenery. Super chill. If you're planning to visit, try to go on a weekday to skip the bigger crowds. Trust me, it's a whole vibe and a great way to see Chicago in all its glory.

Fantastic views of the city and very informative walk to the elevators. I can't wait to bring my kids up when they come with me to visit.
They lose a star for the cheap material their automatic penny press uses. Not only were some off center but they were discolored (silver) by the time I brought them home(2 days later). They also had a sign selling collection books but the gift shop attendant said they don't sell those and didn't have any idea what I was talking about at first. So avoid that machine.

When sightseeing in Chicago, I think it's best to go to Willis Tower or Chicago 360 (John Hancock Building). It might be a good idea to take in the scenery of Chicago, the birthplace of skyscrapers, as a memory of your trip.
There were three main types of tickets on the day: just climbing the building, climbing the building ➕ TILT (tilting attraction), and climbing the building ➕ TILT ➕ SIP (getting a drink at the bar above).
As of March 2024, the cost of climbing the building➕TILT➕SIP (you can have a drink at the bar above) was $60 per person on Saturday, March 16th.
Even if you don't drink alcohol, they also have non-alcoholic menus and juices. The bar wasn't open at night so it didn't have a great atmosphere, but it was a good place to quench your thirst. TILT doesn't seem to be scary, but when I tried it, I was surprised to find that even though I'm not afraid of heights, I was unable to walk.

Back in 2009, I visited this spot and recently had the chance to share my thoughts. The panoramic view of Chicago from the 103rd level is truly remarkable. I skipped the thrill glass ride as it didn't seem too scary. Instead, I opted for a drink at the cloud bar—decent drinks and service, but the highlight is the stunning view. There's also a gift shop for those interested. Overall, a decent spot, especially for newcomers in town.

They had a cool interactive art light wall along with beautiful community art work and displays. The bathrooms were clean and the play area for children was massive. A great area to have quiet time, read and check out some great books 📚.

Lovely library. Nice helpful people. Easy parking. Good DVD selection. Lots of people making use of computers. I was happy to find out I was able to use my local library card here.

I love going to this library. If you are considered a St. Charles resident then you have a lot to offer here. Besides renting books, they have a section on the first floor by the maker lab there is a section for things that aren’t books like a car jumper, portable charger, etc. This library is also very clean and well kept up. I really enjoy coming here and can’t wait for more stuff to be added down the line!

Your library is AWESOME. Your staff is so kind and helpful!! Screw those with their sense of entitlement and making the staff (who act as babysitters at times!) Feel threatened or worse! You have brought books to me in the past because I have chronic medical issues and am homebound! Thak you for what you do. I'd be lost without you all! You did this before Covid. Yes I've been a home hostage for a while. Some of us have to live this way. God Bless librarians!

I absolutely loved their seed library. This is such great idea to provide this for community. Easy access to the seed library on main floor. 15 per person is the limit. Each pack comes with pic of the plant and all the details.

This is a great library! My two year old daughter loves having her own library card! She likes to check out books. They have so many great board books and books for older children as well. I don’t have too much time to spend in the adult section but they appear to have great books for adults as well. The family story times are super interactive. I wish they had more options for parents who work, but I get it too. They have a nice play section with a kitchen and rotating themed stories. They also have a ride on pretend school bus. My daughter loves this place and I do as well. It’s always been very clean including the bathrooms.

Very nice, especially after the remodel. Definite improvement. Drop Boxes are completely unusable. I have to get out of the car to drop the books into the chute. I may as well go in. I thought this feature was for people that may not be able to walk into the library. Bring back the other boxes or Fix it.

I went to the receptionist to asked for her help clarifying my mother in law’s book rent issues. From the initial conversation where I tried to explain the issues, she cut me mid sentence told me that she was confused ( believe me she won’t if she took a minute to listen a bit better) not allowing me finishing my explanation. I had to repeat myself all over again ( I already feel bad and questioning myself whether is it because I am an ESL person that she acts this way), and she told me to figured out some information and get back again to the receptionist desk once I retrieved the information that she need. Which I did but she wasn’t there but there are another receptionist standing by. I explained that I had a conversation with the first receptionist about the information that she needs. Eventually she was being called, and after that told me in rather unpleasant manner that I actually can resolved the issues with the other lady but her. I mean how do I know? First of all, I wasn’t being offered for that from the get with other lady and second, what’s with the attitude? I am simply just a customer seeking help and trying to fix my issues. Not to be blamed by the person who should be helpful. After everything sorted out, I went to sit down in the sofa (still in the lobby area) and I overheard the receptionist talking and whispering about me, perhaps not knowing I was still around. These kind of rudeness is so unecessary. I would believe a community place such as a library should be operated by people who actually care and respect the people who comes in there. Instead my experience leaving me feeling bad and unwelcome.

Always very polite and helpful employees. If they don't have something, they'll get it. They now have a convenient drive through to pick up books and other materials. In the library you can rent items to bring home - like certain tools, activity kits, etc. They even have a 3d printer.

Chicago's primary commercial district is the Magnificent Mile, located in the Loop area. It is a bustling and vibrant part of the city that boasts more than 460 stores, including high-end luxury brands like Burberry, Louis Vuitton and Gucci. The district also features numerous restaurants serving cuisine from all over the world as well as some of Chicago's best hotels. Visitors can explore art galleries such as LIK Fine Art Chicago which showcases works by renowned photographer Peter Lik.
Navy Pier is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Chicago with rides, restaurants, shops, and more. The pier juts into Lake Michigan and has an endless amount of attractions for all ages. It's a great place to spend a day with family.
Went to Chicago for the day to celebrate my birthday! It was a great time. I can't wait to go back there! So much to see and do. We went on the Skyline Lake Tour; this is reasonably priced per person...this was great and relaxing!

Ferris wheel was very fun. There were other carnival ride options as well. Great food options too!. Great options for boat tours. We had kids and did a quick 40 min boat tour. Overall, navy pier seems to amaze me everything I go. Been going since I was a kid and was able to share this with my kids for the first time.

We arrived as storms were rolling in, so our visit was cut short. It was still a nice area full of dining, shopping, and entertainment. We enjoyed watching the boats along Lake Michigan and taking in stunning views of the city. Finding affordable parking was a challenge.

Very nice and chill pier to take a walk or chill around. And there's a very warm court with a lot of options of foods. The restroom is also very clean, the other side is for cars parking and drop-off so I would recommend to walk around. Just go straight and come back straight would be a nicer solution.

Great place to enjoy and admire the skyline of Chicago. Navy Pier has many attractions, but the main one is the wheel which lets you observe the city from a high altitude and without any crowds. The stores inside are really good. There are plenty of restaurants of different kinds and different stores. Walking outside makes you feel why Chicago is called the Windy City.

Gorgeous place! We didn't realize how big it is, and how many shops there are!
We came for the "Light up the Lake Event". It was awesome! Indoor so no worries about weather. The pier is free, but would definitely buy tickets in advance for the lights.
We rode the ferris wheel and it was so much fun! The view is gorgeous!

We rode some rides and went through the fun house. Tip: one of the mirrors is a door in the mirror maze. It took us forever to get out. Lol We wanted to take a boat cruise but we want to wait for some of the smoke from Canada to go away so we can see the beautiful skyline better. When my girls were small we went to the children's museum and that was really fun. Navy Pier is a must see when visiting Chicago.

I went and visited the Navy Pier. The air was very windy and cold coming of the water. The history behind the pier is very interesting and they have historical markings everywhere to read. They have an indoor “mall” area with shops and eatery’s. At sunset the views looking back at the city skylines are pretty spectacular.

Wonderful views of Chicago. I recommend going in the morning or afternoon when it is less crowded. This is a peak place to cut out of work for. You can just sit around and think about the world and how beautiful life is. This is one of the great gems of the city of Chicago. It is a tourist trap but one you don't mind getting trapped in. Look at all the sick pics of my friends.

Beautiful in the day time and even more beautiful at night. We visited on the weekend and it’s a place for everyone to walk, hangout, eat, relax, ride the Ferris wheel and lots to do. It gets packed and busy but fun for sure. I recommend this place.. one of the must visit in Chicago places. Fire work show was awesome as well it was not a disappointment. Was worth staying there till 10pm.

Navy Pier offers fun attractions for both kids and adults, making it a family-friendly destination. The area is clean, walkable, and home to numerous restaurants. While it can get crowded, booking tickets online in advance helps save time and ensures a smoother experience. The ferris wheel ride is a must-do experience, especially during sunset when the scenery becomes even more captivating.

This was a great time, we started as strangers and ended up as good friends. The ride even though a tourist thing to do was filled with locals. The tour guide we got was speaking very fast, and most of the facts we missed but the scenery and buildings were great. This was a great time. The skyline is something to see .. Enjoy !!!

Really cute place to go! Lots to eat nearby and some beautiful places to shop. I'd recommend the app park spot for parking, $20 ramps near by. They're are usually some ships in the harbor too which are beautiful to see and take a tour of. Always something to see!

Fun spot but touristy. You get a good view of the city, especially on the Ferris wheel but it's pricey. There is often live music and always something to do. A good way to spend an afternoon with the family, I think you should go at least once but it's not really how you get to know the city. Definitely gets crowded at peak hours.

Navy Pier is really quiet in winter and beautiful, unlike other busy places in Chicago. You can walk peacefully, enjoy great views of the lake and city, and ride the Ferris wheel in a calm atmosphere. The gardens are perfect for relaxing. It's a great spot to see Chicago's beauty without the rush. Definitely worth a visit for a relaxed day.

This place has a lot of various shopping vendors and food restaurants, perfect for families. I was intrigued to meet a Native American vendor who handmade art and jewelry. I bought several items from him and also grabbed some garrets popcorn on my visit. Also stopped by the cartoonist and got a portrait drawn. I had a great time and got to take awesome photos of the beautiful artwork and meet various vendors there who were so kind and welcoming. I will make another trip in the future because Chicago is an amazing city like no other.

Navy Pier was abuzz on a holiday weekend! The new Flyover Chicago is open, the Ferris Wheel in full on summer line mode and there were hundreds of kids everywhere. Great food court with lots of options to pick from! Well worth a walk to the end of the pier!
Elmhurst Art Museum is a facility situated in a park that showcases contemporary visual arts, featuring the renowned McCormick House designed by Mies Van der Rohe. The museum conducts monthly family day workshops and presents interactive exhibits in its rotation schedule. Along with on-site exhibitions, visitors can also experience the museum At Home program providing artist discussions, behind-the-scenes tours of exhibits and more.
Love this museum! My father and I have been members for a few years now! We love coming to see the main art exhibits, the exhibits in the McCormick House, and most of all my personal favorite would be the Artist's Guild which is always changing every month with regionally-known artists with there own unique styles which are more contemporary. The lady who works at the front desk typically is also very nice and friendly when we come in each and every time as well! Definitely worth it! Awesome place!

It’s a very nice museum space with plenty of light and glass. I visited Picasso exhibit and honestly expected a lot more for a $18 dollar entrance fee. Very few Picasso pictures or objects on loan unfortunately. I think if the price was lower, it would have been more reasonable considering the number of rooms and objects. Interested to see what other exhibits they have in the future, hopefully something a little better curated.

This is a really great small Chicagoland museum. I have visited several times to see specific exhibitions. Some of them, like the ones featuring the Chicago Imagists and the Hairy Who, have been spectacular, as good as what you'd see at the Art Institute. It is not very large place, you can see everything in an hour, but if you see an exhibit that interests you, I highly recommend you visit.

The MOD is a pretty happy place. Wish there were more rooms. Also would love if there was a bench in some of the rooms (but maybe it gets too crowded-?) I went on a weekday late afternoon and there weren't many people there. Our 7 yr old also had a good time. The girl at the front desk was welcoming and upbeat.

This was a surprise. I been living close to Elmhurst for a long time and I knew about this museum but to be honest never thought about visiting. We went during the polarity exhibition and it was awesome. It was an interactive one and we had a lot of fun taking photos. The only downside is that I think is a small museum and also it probably needs more advertising so we can know the programs it have.

I didn't have any expectations going in as it was through a photo meet. I have mixed feelings about the museum and its purpose. But overall it wasn't a bad place to visit. They had a couple of of items that were interesting to photograph. You can see in my photos - the colorful maze of plates hanging was an interesting abstract piece. Then the room with colors changing with the reflection on the glass was pretty cool. Not sure about a room filled with paper napkin Doodles - it did make us all chuckle and laugh but not something I expected in a museum and not an entire roomfull of them...

This small museum has the most incredible and surprising exhibits. From modern icons like Picasso to local legends Hebru Brantley and Sentrock, they are truly thoughtful when curating unique exhibits that showcase Chicago’s art scene. The exhibits are typically a full concept with a unique perspective and story, such as the latest Picasso that showcased the progression of his rarely seen linocut work, or Sentrock which displayed interactive installations, and animated work that tied into the large scale paintings. I always look forward to seeing what original shows they lineup next. Plus, they often have limited edition prints, sculptures, and other merch that is exclusive to the museum. If you’re a fan of current and modern art, it’s definitely worth a trip even if you’re in the city.

The Chicago River flows through the heart of downtown Chicago, and is a popular place for exploration. The river is home to attractions like Cloud Gate, a stainless steel sculpture that reflects the surrounding skyline, and river cruises.

The Chicago River is a major waterway that runs through downtown Chicago linking up with Lake Michigan. During our recent visit to the city we spent quite a bit of time along the river, walking the designated Riverwalk and crossing several of the bridge crossings to Streeterville on the north side of the Chicago River.
The riverwalk is rather nice. There are some interesting monuments to see and they were setting up bars and coffee shops for this coming summer.
Plenty of spots to grab a seat somewhere and enjoy being on the river during good weather days. You can also take boat cruises up and down the river as well.
Chicago Skyline views can be enjoyed from along the river trail or while cruising the waterway. Plenty of access points down to the riverwalk area from beside the bridge crossings.

One of Chicago's best known and most frequently visited landmarks. The city dyes sections of the river green for St. Patrick's Day. For some reason I have my doubts that the dye is environmentally friendly. It does provide a unique sight however.
Riverwalk is a bustling pedestrian path that runs along the Chicago River, offering stunning city views and a variety of dining options. Spanning 1.25 miles from Lake Michigan to Lake Street, this vibrant area in Downtown Chicago is filled with shops, eateries, and recreational activities. Visitors can explore cozy cafes, unique boutiques, and lively bars while taking in the picturesque waterfront scenery.
It's really nice and enjoyable. Even though we went on April, it was really cold and windy. The walking path was but in some places some construction work was going on. The Chicago Riverwalk is so beautiful. If it's your first time visiting Chicago the Riverwalk is the perfect way to experience some of the most beautiful parts of the cities. There's plenty of places to sit down and relax, grab a bite of food, and just enjoy the atmosphere. They have water taxis and guided tours you can take, but it's just as fun if you decide to go on a walk with one of your friends and just take your time.
The color of the water is so gorgeous and unique due to the plankton and other marine life that make their home here. You can also take a subway train a few blocks away so you don't need to drive and park in the city when visiting here. I highly recommend stopping by if you find yourself in Chicago.

The Chicago Riverwalk I’d pretty nice. Reasonably clean except some humans are just a**ho**s and don’t clean up after their dogs. A few good drink stops to make. The Northman is where you want to head! The skyline views are awesome. Great place for a run. Not so much for biking. This is where you’ll catch all the riverboat tours too, which I recommend. I had a nice view of Trump Tower when the 3rd indictment came through so that was nice.

The Chicago Riverwalk is a delightful experience, but it can be challenging due to limited parking and its busy atmosphere. With the Trump Tower gracing the skyline, this bustling area offers dining options and a amazing walk and view of the river.

Absolutely beautiful, relaxing. Find yourself a seat on the very top of the amphitheater like seating overlooking the river with a cup of coffee or drink from one of the cafés along the stretch, take a small cushion or folded blanket to soften the pressure of hard concrete on the butt and retreat into your zen watching the paddle boaters and river cruise ships going up and down the river. The skyscrapers are impressive and simply beautiful to look at at nights.

This is a very pleasant way (apart from the cruises) to see some of the great architecture of Chicago. The walkways are kept clean and there are plenty of riverside cafes and bars to stop out. The walkway leads to a path along Lake Michigan and from here you can go for miles if you want to. I believe there is something like 26-28 miles of walking paths around the river and lake. There are signs to explain the route and there are toilets that seem to be cleaned regularly. I loved it❣️

"An elegant building from a more civilized age". In all seriousness, one of the most gorgeous buildings I have ever had the privilege to walk the halls and staircases of. I came for an architecture exhibition and stayed for the actual architecture. A hidden, carefully faceted gem in the heart of the city. What a cool and unusual place! I came here with my group, not knowing much about it, but thinking it was a historical center focused on the birth and life of Chicago. Boy was I wrong! This place was more like a living art exhibit where you walk through and become part of the art.
Absolutely GORGEOUS architecture and exquisite interior details, showcasing both modern and experimental art, this place is so unique and interesting, I was flabbergasted that it is FREE. The staff were very friendly and chatty also, and most seemed very inspired by their surroundings.
There's no excuse not to visit if you've never been!

The building has 2 main entrances. You can get lost inside but the staff is everywhere to help you.
The Chicago fire exhibition was a powerful and intense experience. There is so much history and story in just those pictures.
There was also another exhibition (Colescott) that I truly enjoyed although I must say I never heard about the artist before. Full of life, vivid colours and a lot of history too that tell much of his life. Sharing some pics but they do not do justice

Free to enter, but priceless architectural sights to behold. Definitely worth a visit to explore the different parts of the Chicago Cultural Center. Interesting exhibits galore throughout the space not to be missed. Beautiful interior with lots of picture worthy angles. Highly recommend during your stay in Chicago.

A cool place to visit if you have time! The architecture is so pretty with lots of glass mosaics mended on the walls and stairs. The glass dome ceiling is gorgeous too! Not too much to do there but it is super pretty and a good stop to get out of the heat.

Amazing gem in the city. They have exhibits for art display, huge halls for hosting events, learning lab and dance studios. I randomly came upon this building and just wanted to check it out and I was captivated. Would highly recommend for first time visitors, nice and relaxing to step into this among a busy street such as Michigan Ave.

This used to be Chicago's library building but it was converted to an arts and cultural center in 1978. It is also the first free municipal cultural center in USA. It is also used by the Chicago mayer for the reception of world leaders and other high-ranked guests. It's free to enter and it's worth it.

Did you know there are 2 domes to check out? One is on the backend (towards Randolph street) on the second floor and another one the bigger one is on the 3rd floor from the Washington entrance. The shop on the 1st floor is a smorgasbord or fun, cute and artsy artifacts, do not miss!

The exquisite craftsmanship and artistry by Tiffany in the two stained-glass dome ceilings and sparkling colourful mosaic tiles is magnificent. This former library is an architectural masterpiece. It is also free to visit.
The Lakefront Trail in Chicago is a mixed-use pathway that spans around 18.5 miles along the beautiful shoreline of Lake Michigan. This scenic trail offers multiple parks and stunning views of the city's skyline, making it an ideal spot for leisurely walks or bike rides. For those who prefer cycling, Divvy - the city's bike-sharing system - provides a convenient option to rent a bike for up to 24 hours from one of its many stations.
The Lakefront trail skirts around Lake Michigan on the edge of the city, with a dedicated cycle path, as well as paths for walkers and runners 🚴♀️ There are rental bikes (pedal and electric) available at regular intervals, as well as the occasional water fountain ⛲️

I had the best day exploring the lakefront! I packed a little backpack with snacks & water. Let me say I Got ALL my steps in. 😂 Started at Soldier field and continued down to Lincoln Park Zoo. Plenty of bathrooms along the way. It was a beautiful lake view the entire time! Took in the sail boats, Canadian geese, Buckingham fountain, Navy Pier, beaches, beautiful city views and architecture, then the zoo life. It was a peaceful and relaxing day with gorgeous weather. Wish I would have packed a towel to sit on to enjoy the beach a little easier. They have done a great job along the Riverwalk downtown area it was very clean and nice.

A sculpture of a bean located in Millennium Park in Chicago, Cloud Gate is an easily Instagrammable spot that can be photographed from close up or further back with the skyline of Chicago as the backdrop.
This is Chicago's icon.
When you visit Chicago, firstly you should come here to see this art. Each season, this place is crowded because not only tourists but also Chicago's public comes together here. Therefore, be careful against Corona Virus.
Once I saw this bean from away, I thought it is just metal. However, when I came closer, I noticed the geometric shape, curve, transparency, and reflectiveness. That affected me deeply. You can take a different type of your photo thanks to its reflectiveness.
I wish I have a chance to see this place in summer. Unfortunately, I am too away from there.

This is one of the most iconic places to visit while in Chicago! It is amazing how smooth and reflective it is being so enormous! We went on a Monday afternoon in March, but it was still very busy. We were still able to get a few great pictures! Parking is kinda complicated at first, but not too bad. It is all underground, and there are very few signs to tell you where to go (this seems like a very common thread for Chicago). The only signs once you park just say, “Pedestrian Exit”. It is a bit of a walk, so wear good shoes.

An iconic location for Chicago visit. It’s always packed with tourist. You just have to wait your turn to get your spot. Forewarning, just pick the day without rain and pictures will turn out great. I think selfie stick is a must for this location. The park is clean and well maintained by law enforcement. Parking is challenging for sure. Recommended public transportation.

Cloud Gate, I've been calling it 'The Bean' all week.
I would definitely recommend visiting this piece of art when you're in Chicago. My partner and I didn't expect much to be honest. My partner said its just a mirrored bean. But it's actually pretty cool and very large. It's great on a sunny day to see the sun's reflection along with the sky and buildings and makes for some awesome photos.
Head to the Bean you won't be disappointed!

A must visit tourist attraction place. Sit and walk around for 15 minutes, take pictures and selfies. The Bean is free to visit, so you don't need to "sprout" any ticket money . Designed by an Indian architect as per Google search. The structure is big, and you can pass under it as well. Shiny!

As of Thanksgiving 2023, it is still closed to the public due to maintenance. I was told that the people from Chicago weren't thrilled with "the bean" when it was first built, but it has become an icon. I love how you can see the reflection of the city on it. You can still get a good photo if you find a good spot. It is free to the public.

What a fun experience to take the kids to while I was working in Chicago. I always see the BEAN on movies and TV shows, but have never seen it in person! It was fun to take the kids to it and learn about the history of the BEAN!! This place is packed so try to sneak it and get a good picture. Plenty of people around to take a family photo.

The Bean is a pretty neat experience. A giant chrome coffee bean. Some days it is very crowded. The underside of the bean has some very interesting visual reflections. The absolute center has the only flat mirror portion. If you are in Chicago or plan to visit. I suggest checking it out. There is also some old buildings across the street. We liked looking at the buildings as much as the Bean.

An icon of Chicago not to be missed! You've seen it in movies and shows, and it looks just as spectacular and intriguing in person. I recommend being there before 8am to get almost unblocked (by people) views and photos. Every angle is different and unique in its own way, so take your time to take lots of postcard worthy pictures.

The park itself is a lovely oasis amidst the bustling city, offering a serence escape for locals and tourists alike. Cloud Gate, with its distinctive reflective surface, is a fascinating and iconic structure that draws visitors from around the world.
However, it's worth noting that due to its popularity, the park can get quite crowded, especially during peak tourist seasons. This may affect the overall experience, as maneuvering through the crowds can be a challenge. Additionally, visitors should be prepared for a security check before being allowed to enter the area surrounding Cloud Gate.
Despite the crowds, the beauty and uniqueness of Cloud Gate make it a must-visit attraction in Chicago. Its shimmering reflection of the city skyline and interactive nature make it an engaging and memorable experience for all who visit.

I visited in February on a solo birthday trip, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Cloud Gate. It’s how I expected, but honestly much cooler than I thought. Beautiful to watch the sun glint off the sculpture and the ice skating rink is lovely to people-watch. I went on a Saturday and arrived about 11am via the subway — it wasn’t unbearably busy or overcrowded but obviously expect other tourists to be there most of the time. I didn’t have any security check but did see them doing them later in the day. Plenty of restaurants nearby and the park itself is gorgeous. This truly is a can’t-miss!

One of the best architecture pieces in Chicago. As being over the best architecture city in the world this sculpture makes Chicago even more beautiful.
As I was studying in Chicago I visited this place many times and in all different seasons during different times of the day.
Every time it looks more beautiful and every time you visit this place you'd fall in love with this again.
One day I also decided in freezing winter to do small bike trip here and you might see that in one of the photos 😛. If you want to do that that is the only time you can see this place with very few people 😅.
I will surely recommend this place.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Cloud Gate, also known as "The Bean," in Chicago's Millennium Park. As I approached the sculpture, I was immediately struck by its size and reflective surface. The stainless steel surface of the sculpture seemed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding architecture and the sky above.
As I walked around the sculpture, I was amazed by the different perspectives it offered. From one angle, the sculpture appeared to be a giant, shiny mirror, reflecting the surrounding buildings and sky. From another angle, it seemed to be a giant, abstract sculpture, with curves and contours that seemed to defy gravity.
One of the most interesting aspects of the sculpture was the way it interacted with the people around it. Children were running around and playing, while adults were taking photos and admiring the sculpture. It was fascinating to watch the different ways that people were interacting with the sculpture and how it seemed to bring people together in a shared experience.
As I was leaving, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and inspiration. Cloud Gate was not just a sculpture, but a work of art that had the power to evoke emotion and connect people in a unique way. I left feeling grateful for the opportunity to experience such a beautiful and thought-provoking piece of art.

Located in the famous millennium park of Chicago near the downtown area, the cloud gate is one of the most iconic structures to visit. This enormous bean shaped structure is made of steel and extremely smooth and reflective. So reflective that you could see the reflection of your facial features on it. We visited this place way back when, and absolutely loved it. It's a must visit destination when visiting Chicago. And who can forget those stunning views of downtown Chicago.

The Bean (Officially "Cloud Gate") is a large outdoor public work of art, situated in the Millennium Park of downtown Chicago.
Though it's official name is the "Cloud Gate", it is popularly called "The Bean" due to its bean-like shape.
It's exterior is highly polished and smooth, and is like a huge elongated convex metal mirror.
It was built by Anish Kapoor, an India-born British sculptor who is famous for large outdoor art structures. It was unveiled in 2004, and very quickly became a very important tourist attraction in Chicago.
It is 66 feet long, 42 feet wide and 33 feet tall, and weighs 110 tonnes.
The exterior of the Bean is composed of 168 pieces of stainless steel plates which are seamlessly welded together.
The Bean's surfaces are actually metallic mirrors, and they reflect the surroundings clearly. It is really an awesome sight to view the reflections of the sky and clouds and the skyscrapers surrounding it.
People are allowed to touch it, and at all times a huge number of people gather around it to see and photograph their own images as reflected on its surface.
It has become the most well-known iconic art structure of Chicago.

I passed by a few times throughout the year. Winters and Summers are vibrant there. I couldn't tell you what the purpose of this mirrored bean is. And for some reason I never researched it. But its cool to go and look and make your own interpretation of it. Maybe, ask others what their thoughts on it is. There's other thought provoking public art installations to see nearby along water front. Visit during the night and day.

Well, "life ' happened to me. it was under construction for remodeling till Spring. well, you can't get everything. Nevertheless, I did catch a glimpse of it from some distance.
The Bean is a work of public art in the heart of Chicago. It was constructed in Millennium Park between 2004 and 2006 as part of a design competition, created by British-Indian artist Anish Kapoor.
The sculpture, which is officially titled Cloud Gate, is one of the world’s largest permanent outdoor art installations. The monumental work was unveiled in 2004 and quickly became one of Chicago’s most iconic sights.
The Bean’s reflective surface was inspired by liquid mercury. This shiny exterior reflects the people moving around the park, the lights of Michigan Avenue, and the surrounding skyline and green space — perfectly encapsulating the Millennium Park experience. The polished surface also invites visitors to touch the surface and observe their reflection, giving it an interactive quality.
One might wonder how it was built - well here you go- The exterior of The Bean is made entirely of stainless steel (weighs 110 Ton). It was created using computer technology to precisely cut 168 massive steel plates, which were then fitted together and welded shut for a completely seamless finish.
Fact: The Bean receives a power wash each day and a deep cleaning twice each year. During the deep clean, workers use nearly 40 gallons of detergent to bring the metallic surface back to its mirrored state.

They are doing construction h til spring of 2024. If you want a good photo, come after spring. They had it fenced off and the ground around it tore up.
I was able to get some photos through the fence, but there is protective padding on it too. I get needing to update things, but it was a bummer

Didn’t initially think I would enjoy this tourist attraction, but I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. It was really cool to see the reflection of the city skyline in the bean! The reflection was very clear and the concave shape of the bean made the image look like a panoramic photo. Really cool art concept.

Was upset "the bean" was gated off for some sort of construction. Guess I should have read reviews first, but was still nice to show our kids. Purposely stopped by there during the day to see our reflection in it and get a picture, but couldn't even get remotely close to do so. I am sure it is nice when construction is not going on. There is ice skating nearby that looked fun, but we didn't have time to do. As well as some restaurants and food carts/trucks. The amphitheatre is right there and I don't know the exact name for it, but the curvy, metallic bridge. It was frustrating when crossing the bridge at the other end is a park called Maggie Daley park we wanted to check out and we couldn't because there were security guards that randomly decided they were closing the bridge down and we had to go back across it to get back to our car or walk around a really long ways. So we had to turn back to Millennium park. It was only 4pm on a Friday I'm not sure why they closed the bridge. The bridge itself is cool to check out and make the walk to the middle for a good city skyline view. We spent probably about an hour and a half walking around. There is also the famous face water fountain/statue, but the water isn't on in the winter. It's January and they still have some Christmas trees and lights up which makes everything look pretty.
Jaymie Wilde — Google review
They were doing construction, so there was a fence up around it, but you could still see the bean. Attraction is free to see. There is a lot more in that general area so there’s plenty to do. Parking is like anywhere else in the city find a garageand walk to your destination. There are public bathrooms nearby.

Explored this spot in 2009. The sculpture was intriguing and somewhat unique, adding an entertaining vibe to the park. Its popularity drew tourists from all over, eager to capture selfies with it. I checked it out to understand the buzz and share my perspective. Taking photos of the structure is enjoyable, thanks to its mirror-metallic material that offers diverse angles through reflections. It can be challenging to capture a solo reflection with many others attempting the same. The design of the structure also holds a cool allure. If you find yourself bored in Chicago, it's worth a stop for some entertainment.

On a normal day "the bean" or "Cloud Gate" is so great. It is STILL under construction. It is set to become open late spring 2024. It is fenced off still and you can only catch a partial view. As of 4/6/2024 it remains gated and closed off. Still made the best of it and visited this unique sculpture. Seeing the city skyline reflected in the bean was a pretty wonderful sight! The bean's concave shape and strong reflection gave the picture the appearance of a panoramic photograph.

A really cool art instillation in Chicago’s Millennium Park. I was lucky to visit this tourist attraction last July before it was gated off and closed for construction.
When it opens to the public again, be sure to walk around and see your own reflection against the Chicago skyline. Also remember to check out the view from underneath the bean. You’ll be rewarded with a mesmerizing view of weirdly odd circles like you’re looking into another dimension!

I loved the different areas of Millennium Park. Cloud Gate was so interesting. My favorite part was inside, looking up at the middle. Downtown Chicago has so many amazing outdoor spaces. The architecture is beautiful and I love how art is sprinkled throughout the city. If you want to get pictures with less people there, you'd probably have to go very early in the morning. A must visit park while in the Chicago area. It’s a close walking distance from the iconic River walk and it’s right on the Michigan Avenue, just south of the river.
It’s a quiet park, considering the hustle and bustle of the downtown. The park is very well maintained and has a few entrances, controlled by security throughout. You can easily spend 2-4 hours in the park, depending on what you want to do here. There are also regular events held here at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, one of the premier outdoor Amphitheaters, so that will have to factor in. It’s free entrance to the park itself.
You will see ‘The Bean’ work of public art here. The sculpture, which is officially titled Cloud Gate, is one of the world’s largest permanent outdoor art installations, currently undergoing some construction work. Lake Michigan is just a few minutes away from this park and so is the Chicago River. If you took the hop on hop off bus tour, there is a stop at this park as well.

Even though it was closed off it was worth going. The ice-skating was fun. The whole area was very nice and a fun family activity. I will definitely go back! During Christmas time the area looks very pretty with all the lights. The price for the ice-skating is very good! For 1 hour and a half you only got to pay 16 dollars and they even have lockers to secure your stuff.
The ice-skating rink provides a delightful experience for both beginners and seasoned skaters. The well-maintained ice surface ensures smooth gliding, and the facility's vibrant atmosphere adds to the overall enjoyment. Skating sessions are reasonably priced, and the rental equipment is in good condition. The staff is friendly and attentive, offering assistance to those less confident on the ice. The rink's convenient location and ample parking make it accessible, creating a perfect outing for families or friends. While the snack bar offers standard fare, it could benefit from a broader menu. In summary, the ice-skating rink offers a fantastic blend of fun and accessibility, making it a go-to destination for a chilly yet enjoyable experience.
There is plenty of areas picture worthy and the area seemed pretty safe! Please go and enjoy

The Jay Pritzker Pavilion stood gracefully, adorned with a dusting of snow, creating a serene ambiance. Walking through the snowy pathways, the gardens and sculptures took on a different charm, making my visit an enchanting experience that showcased the park's versatility in every season. The park also has a big open ice rink.
The parking is underground and on paid basis.

This is one of the coolest downtown parks in the US IMHO. Of course a lot of people gravitate to the Bean sculpture; While that's cool it's just a fraction. It's a nice open air park that's simply fun to stroll around with the Chicago downtown as a backdrop. There's something here for everyone. We love the numerous free concerts, fountains, and our kid just loves the playground which is amazing. The park itself is an adventure as there's a lot to see with its constant changing theme and architecture. We find it a great starting point to the many sites Chicago has to offer.
The Crown Fountain in Millennium Park is an installation by Spanish artist Jaume Plensa that features a 50-foot high glass block with projecting images of Chicagoans taken from a cross-section of 10,000 residents. The installation is located in Millennium Park and is open during the spring and fall seasons.
Water Fountains with moving faces! What's not to like? Fountains operate May to October. By Spanish artist, Jaume Plensa. Black granite reflecting pool with 50' glass brick towers at each end. Water nozzles spout water out of giant digital faces. It's very entertaining. Big hit in Chicago's Pop Culture.
Water is the key element of the sculpture, tying into the importance of H2O in Chicago's history: Lake Michigan, Great Lakes, Buckingham Fountains, Chicago River. The artist intended public interaction with the Fountains. What was a big surprise to everyone--within hours of opening in 2004, kids turned it into a water play area.
Crown Fountains are intended to operate for 30 years...will the technology withstand the test of time?

Millennium Park is great place to walk and spend time with family and friends! It was a fun afternoon and a beautiful park with a amphitheater and art everywhere! It has the awesome Silver Bean, at least that's what it looked like to me! There was an awesome wall with a live shot of persons face! They would smile and blink their eyes! Then they would blow with thier mouth, a hole near the middle of their month and water would shot out, it was AMAZING! And fun for the kids to stand under! So much fun! Watch the video! Very interesting art piece!

I've been here a few times and the Crown Fountain is a standout gem in the city's art collection. Its two towering glass blocks, surrounded by a serene reflecting pool, showcase vibrant video images of diverse Chicago citizens. It's a must-visit spot, especially in summer when the water dances, making it perfect for kids to frolic around.

These water fountains are so amazing. At one point in time they spray water out viciously to the children that are enjoying all the water play. Love this on a hot day. Great experience wonderful memories.

This is a digital fountain or a video sculpture cum public art in the Millennium Park in downtown Chicago. There is a shallow reflecting pool between the glass tower blocks of 50 ft height. These two towers display the images of Chicago residents from different fields.
The water flows through an outlet from the LED screen and it looks like it is coming from the projected mouth of various personalities. However, we didn’t see this feature of fountain, as it was not operational when we visited in the first week of May 2022.
There are different 1000 images of Chicago residents whose images are being displayed. The fountain operates during the certain part of the year but the digital images are being displayed all around the year.
This is a nice place to hangout and relax and escape from the summer heat. There are many photo opportunities around here. The kids can enjoy in the fountain waters.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t recognize these faces. The faces look somewhat creepy, sad and weird. Without the fountain, only faces look out of place. The display time seems too long and it should be shortened. The sad faces should be replaced by happy and smiley faces.

The original splash pad before they were a thing (I think?). Two 50ft LED towers show faces with a reflecting pool in between. Water pours from the top of the towers and is beautiful in the sun. Periodically the faces spray water out of their mouths. Great place for people watching.
If you have kids, they will love running around and splashing in the water. They can run up to the towers or through the spray to get soaked. It gets pretty busy in the summertime.

Artist Jaume Plensa designed this lovely fountain. It has over 1000 faces of local Chicagoans and spouts water from their mouths like digital gargoyles. Super family friendly and a fun little oasis in Millennium Park.

Cool installation that allows you to walk around in the water. Nice to stop and take shoes off on a hot day, and walk around to enjoy. There are different faces that light up and intermittently water shoots out. Fun for the kids to give them a break from the sight seeing.

Crown Fountain is a popular tourist spot in the Millennium Park of downtown Chicago. There are two huge rectangular box like fountains on either end of the area. The fountains display the face of a person seen via LCD. Water falls from the fountains like rain, and from time to time a big jet of water gushes out from the "mouths" of the faces. Specially children love this very much and they run around the fountain and become drenched in the cascading water. There are benches for any observer to sit and wait. The only deficiency is that there is no changing room, so the drenched dresses of the children have to be changed in the open, which may not be acceptable to all.

Let me tell you about my recent visit to the Crown Fountain, it a splash-tacular experience!
First things first, this place is a true gem nestled in the heart of the Windy City. You simply cannot miss the striking glass towers that make up this fantastic fountain. As soon as I laid eyes on it, I knew I was in for something special.
The best part? The interactive feature! Two massive LED screens showcase the faces of Chicagoans, smiling and goofing around. It's like they come to life! The moment the water starts gushing out of their mouths, it's pure magic. Kids and adults alike couldn't resist running and playing in the refreshing spray, bringing laughter and joy to everyone present.
Now, let me tell you, the ambiance around Crown Fountain is contagious. People from all walks of life gather here, creating an incredible sense of community. It's the kind of place that breaks down barriers and brings people together, even if just for a few moments. I couldn't help but smile at the sight of strangers-turned-friends, sharing a laugh as they dodged the water spouts.
Speaking of dodging, let's talk about the surrounding area. Millennium Park, where Crown Fountain resides, is an urban oasis. Lush greenery, stunning art installations, and the iconic Cloud Gate sculpture (you know, that shiny bean thing!) make it a must-visit destination. Soak up the sun, have a picnic, or simply take a leisurely stroll—it's all right there, waiting for you.
I must commend the maintenance crew because this place is always squeaky clean! The water is crystal clear, and the surrounding grounds are well-kept. It's evident that the city takes great pride in maintaining the beauty of this spot, and it truly shows.
Crown Fountain is an absolute must-see when you're in Chicago. It's a vibrant, interactive masterpiece that will leave you with a smile on your face and memories to cherish. So grab your swimwear, join in the fun, and make a splash at the Crown Fountain—it's a five-star experience you won't want to miss!

Really good for kids, especially on hot summer days. I recommend bringing a towel and sunscreen, because it can get very hot. The faces are cool and every certain time the spout on the screens mouth will spew water on the kids, which makes a really good photo opportunity 👌.

Crown Fountain appears like it could be a great place to visit in the warm weather. Especially with younger kids but I have to say the tall video wall with faces of the people of Chicago is a bit disconcerting to me. To each their own and I’m not going to take anything away from the attractive park.

Spitting fountain exhibit with changing faces!
The crown fountain during the day acts as a water fountain to cool off kids to beat the heat in Millennium Park.
As the sun is about to go down, it lights up and showcases various faces and expression while appear to show water coming from the mouths of this featured in the exhibit. Very neat! Photo ops!

Beautiful park with many different areas. The "bean" was dirty and too crowded, but overall, its a wonderful place to visit. Excellent views of the city
The Art Institute of Chicago is a world-renowned art museum with over 3000 pieces spanning 5000 years of artistic innovation. The museum is located in Grant Park on the city's front lawn and features one of the largest school of architecture in the world.
Thia museum was enormous and I am pretty sure a week in this place still wouldn't be enough time. I wish I would have had more time to appreciate each piece but what I did see was amazing in every single way. The museum is beautiful, spacious, and clean. They have attendants in every room to help you find your way. I would absolutely recommend a visit here and be prepared to spend the way and wear comfortable footwear. They have 4 levels and multiple buildings and wings. I typically don't use elevators unless its a high rise but I did today. There are multiple entrances and exits as well.

Forever captivated by the beauty and history encapsulated in the Art Institute. Not a place to visit too often as the gallery is largely full of permanent installations, but there is always some sort of special exhibition/gallery taking place when they are open. Entire building is extremely clean with staff and maps scattered around in order to make your experience more enjoyable. Many famous works that one recognizes from pop culture or past studies are able to be seen here. One of the top art museums in the world and an undeniable staple in Chicago’s history. Do not miss out on viewing everything it has to offer.

What else is left to say about this incredible museum, which houses so much of the world's amazing art and history? Even people who aren't art buffs will find something to appreciate here (or at least something familiar!). My only gripe about my visit was the extremely long line for the coat check. The staff were working hard to move it along, but we still incurred about a thirty minute wait at drop-off and then again at pick-up during our March visit. Try to avoid checking anything if you can, so you can get in and enjoy the museum.

Amazing art museum that is 100% well worth the visit. It holds everything from ancient Egyptian artifacts and mummies to modern American paintings like American Gothic and Nighthawks. You can easily spend more than 3 hours here. I would highly recommend visiting.

Very good museum, almost good at everything! It's just one little thing I'd like to say is that it's too big and the instructions are not very significant ( I understand it's for the better look but I got lost and missed some beautiful moments for 3 times....). I hope they have a better touring guidance or audio guide so that I have some clues of sequels in each exhibition area.
Otherwise wow!!! It's like I've never seen so many beautiful stuff performed at once place in a good way, especially the Japanese area, they tried very hard to make the ambience feeling like the Japanese vibe, super impressive. I would say the way of exhibition is better than the Met in New York City.

Amazing museum with a large collection of works from important artists. The layout is well thought out and flows from one area to the next. Though large, not overwhelming in size. If you can plan a day there you will be pleased in what you cover.

It was very cool to visit The Art Institute Of Chicago. I had a great time visiting the different exhibits. It was very crowded when I went. But the overall experience was very warming. I saw some great art and the people were really nice.

It is so famous that I had expected the exhibit to be as informative and comprehensive as the British Museum or the Metropolitan. That might be too challenging. The display in each section is lack of clear plot/storyline, by which I mean the items are like various bread slices in a basket, correlated but not unable to compose a full piece. I understand this is an art museum, so the explanation notes mainly focus on art perspective. Still, for visitors who might come from different backgrounds, the museum could have done a better job of interpretation.

This is a stunning collection of artwork from so many famous painters and sculptors. The price is a bit high ($32/adult), but children 13 and under are free. The building felt like a maze at times and there were alarms constantly going off as people stood too close to artwork. Despite those minor inconveniences, this remains one of my favorite art museums!

My first time attending as an adult, I had a much bigger appreciation for the arts now versus as a kid. It was absolutely breathtaking, and we didn't get to see everything!! We were there for 3 hours and were amazed at all the pieces located here. I would wholeheartedly come back and make it an entire day. I felt like a tourist in my own city.

An absolutely amazing art museum and a must see of Chicago. I visited on a Monday morning which had significantly less crowds than the weekends. Entry was quick and easy and I saved on tickets by using the Citipass. Keep in mind tickets for non residents are more expensive. The entry way is beautiful and it's very easy to navigate around the museum due to the signage and provided maps. I especially like that there is a list of must sees on the back of the map for those who only have a short amount of time to visit like I did. My favorite areas were probably the Impressionists and Ancient Egyptian pieces. The layout is easy to navigate and separated in distinct periods that makes sense, nothing detracts from the pieces themselves, and it's overall an amazing experience. I can't wait to revisit with plenty of time to thoroughly explore all the exhibits.
As for accessibility: there were plenty of wide open spaces and wide open doors for wheelchairs/walkers/etc. to navigate through. There are handicap accessible ramps into the buildings as well as elevators to reach the different floors. There's wheelchair rentals near the coat check as well. https://www.artic.edu/visit/accessibility

Incredible experience! If you can, plan to spend hours exploring this beautiful place. The nice experience starts right as you arrive and check in your coat. They are very organized and efficient. Their food ordering process is very efficient, too. The grilled cheese with goat cheese, fig, and arugula is by far the best grilled cheese I have ever tasted. Their exhibits are very diverse and well presented, and there is something for every art preference.

Absolutely worth a visit! We spent approximately four hours roaming around, and taking in multiple exhibits. The art on display is both stunning and educational at the same time. A great idea for a day when you don't have much planned, and can take the time to properly take in all the Institute offers.

Beautiful building filled with beautiful paintings. I especially enjoyed the Monet collection. I thought I would be taken by the lilies, but wheat piles just took me to another dimension, and i was sober, alright ;). I also liked Van Gogh and other impressionists. The collection of eastern ceramics and wall paintings was also impressive. We stopped by only for few hours, so we didn't see everything, but i definitely plan to come back ;).

This place is immense and worth every penny of the admission fee. See some highlights like American Gothic or that famous Seurat painting at the park you recognize from studying pointillism back in school. But don’t miss some hidden gems: creepy Goya etchings from 1800s Spain, the picture of Dorian Gray from the 1945 film, and a fascinating collection of miniature rooms that look ready for Stuart Little to move in. They also have a very wide range of Picasso styles collected under one roof and the impressionism section truly is a must-see!

The Art Institute of Chicago is situated right in the heart of the city, next to Millennium Park. Its central location makes it convenient to access, but be prepared for weekend crowds and potential parking challenges.
Inside, the museum offers a diverse array of exhibits from around the world, including renowned works like Van Gogh’s masterpieces. A treasure for art enthusiasts.
For those who may not be expert level art lovers, the visit can be short(30-40min) However, it’s still a worthwhile experience

My visit to the Chicago Art Institute was an unforgettable journey through art and history. The museum's layout is brilliantly designed, making it easy to navigate through the diverse exhibits without feeling overwhelmed or restricted. Each section flows seamlessly into the next, offering a sense of freedom and exploration, yet with a thoughtful arrangement that guides you naturally through the art.
The curation of the exhibits is exceptional. Each piece is placed with intention, creating a narrative that invites deep reflection and appreciation. The range of artwork, from classical to contemporary, is presented in a way that tells a story, capturing the essence of different eras and styles.
In addition to the exhibits, the Art Institute offers a coat check service and includes a delightful cafe on the upper level, where visitors can enjoy coffee and some light snacks while taking a break from the art.
I wholeheartedly recommend the Chicago Art Institute to anyone visiting the city. It's not just a museum; it's a journey through art that is both enlightening and inspiring. The thoughtful layout and curated exhibits make it accessible for all, from art aficionados to first-time visitors.

If you are a fan of art you would really enjoy this place! I absolutely loved visiting the museum. I would definitely recommend it. Also, I would recommend wearing a light jacket nothing too big or warm because the inside of the museum is really warm and when you are walking around it can start to feel hot. Wear comfy shoes because you will be walking a lot and going up/down the stairs.

Great find.. I'm a Monet guy and found several pieces I have never seen before. The impressionist collection was great overall, with many works from the most famous artists.. quite an amazing collection. Well situated in the downtown, the only amusing things were the staff who couldn't point us to Edward Hopper's the Nighthawks.. I guess they mainly stand round trying to prevent eco terrorists from souping irreplaceable works of art 😄.

So grateful for their free days. I was able to take our senior residents (at a non profit memory care home) to visit twice! Both times staff was super helpful with holding doors, helping us find certain locations, and free wheelchairs at coat check. The crowds were not as great, but staff also came to the rescue when we were trying to go up a ramp and a hoard of students decided that was their route instead of just using the steps. Thank you Art Institute of Chicago employees!!

What a great museum, I truly enjoyed my visit! I’m a big fan of Vincent Van Gogh art and I wanted to come here and it finally came true. This is a big museum, so definitely you need time to spend and enjoy it, for me it was only 2 hours and I did a little less than half of the museum, but I definitely started with post-Impressionism art, where Vincent Van Gogh’s paintings were and also Monet’s. I had a great experience and I hope to come back in the future to visit the other exhibitions, I couldn’t see. I bought my tickets in advance through their website, I highly recommend this because it gets packed and you don’t have to make a line to purchase the tickets.

For this particular occasion we went for the Pablo Picasso exhibit. We paid $5 as Illinois residents and it is worth mentioning that the museum is free during weekdays.
The building itself is admirable, very well taken care of inside and outside. All of the exhibits are being looked after as there are hundreds of art pieces on a daily basis.
Whether you’re are someone who is into sculpting, painting, architecture, mosaics, or any other form of art, the Art Institute of Chicago has something to offer.
Definitely looking forward for more exhibitions.

Absolutely exhilarating though I backed onto the ledge and didn't look down! We went during golden hour though I think the lighting for pictures would've been best at dusk or night. The weather was perfect on Saturday so we could see for miles! The staff was really nice and directed us to the shortest line! I think it's great that there's a time limit for everyone and that you're able to get back into line if you want to take another look or get more pictures! We only waited about 15 minutes each time, and went up on the ledge twice. The gallery preceding the elevator to the 103rd floor was really informative and taught me a lot I didn't already know about Chicago or other tall buildings. The money is totally worth it! Get tickets ahead of time!!!

Everyone should experience Chicago from the top as well as from the river and the neighborhoods. We really enjoyed the exhibit leading to the lookout, too. Some in our group stepped out onto the glass ledge very reluctantly, but all enjoyed mastering the challenge. The views were breathtaking.

So, there I was in Chicago, with just a day left to explore. I had heard about the Skydeck at Willis Tower, but I hadn't really planned on visiting. I thought, why not give it a shot? It's one of those things tourists do, right? And wow, am I glad I went for it. The moment you step onto the Skydeck, it's like the whole city opens up in front of you. You're way up there, on the 103rd floor, and the view is just mind-blowing.
But here's the real showstopper – the glass box, also known as The Ledge. When you step out into it, there's this thrilling, almost surreal feeling. You're suspended in the air, with Chicago's streets and buildings far below. It's exhilarating and a little bit nerve-wracking, but in the best way possible. You're literally standing over the city, with nothing but glass under your feet!
I spent a good amount of time just soaking in the views. You can see for miles – the skyscrapers, Lake Michigan, and on a clear day, even beyond the city limits. It's not just a tourist attraction; it's an experience that gives you a whole new perspective on Chicago. It's a must-do for sure, especially if you want to feel the heartbeat of the city from an entirely unique vantage point.
Honestly, it was the perfect end to my Chicago trip. It’s one of those experiences that makes you appreciate the beauty and scale of a city. So, if you ever find yourself in Chicago with some time to spare, definitely check out the Skydeck. It's a memory you'll cherish long after you're back on solid ground.

Such a stunning experience. Although for standing in a deck and clicking some stunning photos is a task as they gave a short time so it’s recommended to go with just 2 people at a time so that you can get a decent picture in a short time. It is one of the very touristy things to do just to say that you've done it. We went in the morning and were able to get through it pretty quick as there weren't that many people there yet. The elevator ride was cool as it lists how tall the building is compared to the others in the world. The view from the top was pretty good as it was a clear day. For the Ledge part, you have 90 seconds to take your photo before being ushered out, so plan accordingly on how you want to take your photos. You can also purchase the pre-set photos that they take for you in the beginning and also at the ledge.

We were able to book tickets for Skydeck through the CityPass app (this was such a great decision). We arrived at the building and followed all the clearly marked signs to the elevator for the Skydeck. The employees were all friendly and helpful in directing us where to go. I came here during the week at about 1pm on a Monday mid May and there really wasn’t too much of a wait. I purchased our tickets online as we entered the building. Honestly, I had not been to the tower in about 3 years, there was obviously major renovations to the basement where you board the elevator to the Skydeck. ( Which really improved aspects of visiting the Willis tower) There was such cool decor and interactive features you could take photos next to. I particularly enjoyed the walk towards the elevators. You get up there fairly fast, so remember to bring some chewing gum for your ears. But once you’re up there it is absolutely spectacular. My favorite part was veering over the side that faces the lake. It was so beautiful, honestly who knew there were so many different shades of blue out there in Lake Michigan. My kids loved the opposite side that faces the city view because that’s where you get to stand on the glass ledge and see the city below you. You get about 2 full minutes to stand in the glass box they stick you in. You can take your own photos and you also have the option to purchase a photo they snap of you once you’re in there. They sell pretty gifts there but they are very pricy so don’t forget your loot. Absolutely highly recommend stopping at this Major Chicago Gem.

Fun experience. Keep in mind that there may be some waiting times. We used our Chicago pass for entry. If you're with a big group I would recommend getting the express passes.
The route to the observation deck is actually quite fun as it provides some backdrops for photo ops and some educational information on Chicago buildings and culture.
They take green screen pictures shortly after entering the line and upstairs at the ledge they take two professional pictures that you can purchase. downstairs for $31. The friendly staff is also very helpful and happy to take pictures with your own phone. You have about 1 minute to take your own pictures while on the ledge.

The highlight is undoubtedly The Ledge—a series of glass boxes extending from the skyscraper, allowing visitors to stand suspended 1,353 feet above ground level. The adrenaline rush and panoramic views of the city are truly unforgettable. The knowledgeable staff adds to the experience, providing insights into Chicago's rich architectural history and pointing out notable landmarks.
The journey to the Skydeck is an adventure in itself, with a high-speed elevator whisking you to the top in a matter of seconds. Once there, the 360-degree views of the city skyline and Lake Michigan are simply awe-inspiring. The interactive exhibits on the history and construction of the Willis Tower engage visitors of all ages.
Timing your visit during sunset is highly recommended, as the city transitions from day to night, casting a warm glow over the skyline. The facility is well-maintained, and the crowd management ensures a comfortable experience.
Skydeck Chicago is a must-visit for tourists seeking an exhilarating and panoramic introduction to the city. From the moment you step onto the glass floor, you'll understand why this attraction deserves its five-star rating. An absolute Chicago gem!

It was my first time here. I'm glad I came to visit the & see the view. It's amazing day or night. I didn't like that they rushed us out of the deck for pictures, but it was nice. Apparently, they only give you 2 min to take pics, which is crazy for the price you pay, but either way, it was a great experience. 👌💯

Beautiful view and one of the tallest skyscraper in the US. Enjoyable experience as well with what they call « the ledge ». Highly advise to book this one through the City Pass as you will have access to the priority admission which allows you to skip a few queues.

It was a nice experience. They show you the history of Chicago and all the work the city made to survive.
The view is breathtaking. The Ledge is at the 103 floor. The whole experience lasts about 30 minutes regularly.
I did take my time to explore and read almost everything.

The Sky Deck is a really impressive way to view Chicago! I really enjoyed getting to have a few beers and hanging out 103 stories in the air. I haven't been since they installed "the ledge" but it looks cool. I am not sure that I would wait in line for it though. If you are visiting Chicago, you should absolutely go up to the Skydeck!

A must go places if you are new here.
Take pictures in the ledge, very unique experience. Because I was there alone, I asked the staff taking a lot of pictures for me, they were very patient which I am very grateful for.
Met a group of nice people from Alabama. They even said hi to my parents when we were FaceTime. ✨If you guys are seeing this, hi!

A great experience for my first day in Chicago. Skydeck takes you to the 103rd floor of the Willis Tower and take in the amazing view of the city. Before heading up, you go through a mini museum of what the city has to offer. There is an area to take pictures over the ledge of the building - you have 90 seconds to take photos and if you want to take more you can simply get back in line. A recommendable activity for whoever visits Chicago, especially if you plan on using the Chicago CityPass!
Christine Medina — Google review
If you're visiting The Ledge, buy your tickets for about the time you plan to be there. You don't have to show up exactly at this time, it just helps the exhibit control the chaos. There's an amazing museum after check-in leading to the elevators that take you up, so give yourself 30-45 minutes to enjoy all that as well. The elevator ride is ridiculously quick at under a minute. You can hang out on the Skydeck for as long as you like. Once at The Ledge, you can get back into the queue as many times as you like. They only give you about 90 seconds on The Ledge, a little more for larger groups, so have your poses planned in advance. I suggest visiting well before sunset, as photos can be washed out by the sun behind you. However, just after sunset and before dusk is beautiful. And when it's finally dark out, the city lights are wonderful viewing, but pictures can get lots of glare and reflection off the glass. Once back on the ground, they will sell you photos and digital copies for an expected premium, $35-50.
The Ledge exhibit costs about $35/person, so it can be expensive for larger groups/families, but overall it's a wonderful experience. Research your parking options ahead of time, or expect to pay about $50 on top of the exhibit fees.
On a personal note, the entire staff from building entry, up to the top, and back down on the ground were extremely helpful, friendly, and professional.

Best views of the city! Be sure to get the expedited ticket if you can or else there will be long wait times. The expedited entrance came with the 5-city pass which I also recommend if you’re in Chicago for the weekend!

This is well worth every penny. Not only will you get fabulous photos on The Ledge, there’s some incredible history of the city that you get to see while you’re in line. Go at sunset!!! Check the website for times that are busy. We bought tickets on site and walked right in.

The Skydeck Chicago offers a breathtaking experience that is not to be missed. Located in the iconic Willis Tower, it provides unrivaled panoramic views of Chicago's skyline, Lake Michigan, and on clear days, far beyond the city limits. The glass viewing platform, The Ledge, allows visitors to step out into the air 1,353 feet above the ground, offering a thrilling perspective and unmatched photo opportunities. Additionally, the museum on the way to the Skydeck offers an engaging overview of Chicago's rich history and architectural marvels. This place is so much fun and the beer is great! The atmosphere itself is inviting and intimate. I attended a wedding shower here and it was the perfect venue. I will definitely be back!

Excellent Brewery, large selection of wonderful beer! Perfect combo, best tasting sandwich in a long time made by Uncle Cam's (featured food co) and a perfect company to Lil Boots brew at Penrose Brewery in Geneva. Lovely Friday eve and the place is packed. Nice and relaxing evening out, not to far from home. Perfect!

I love this place and everything about it. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable in the trade and they make awesome beer. The brewery is spacious, has board games to keep you busy while tasting and hanging out and you can also have food delivered if you feel like munchin. There is not one beer here that I haven't loved. If you're in the area you should definitely stop by and see for yourself.

This is definitely my favorite brewery. I love that they always have at least one sour on tap and they are always experimenting with new styles. Their taproom is really chill and they’ve got a nice outdoor space. We’ve been coming here for a few years, but now they have a Lemon Seltz-Up that is so good! It might be one of the best they’ve ever done. We couldn’t leave without picking up a pack to go.

The first brewery to open in Geneva, Penrose is a must stop if you're in the Fox Valley and you like really good beer. Pilsners, lagers, Porters, IPA (east coast, west coast), bourbon barrel aged and more, but this place is famous for their sours. They were doing sours before anyone else around here. Great beer, friendly and knowledgeable servers, owners are present and amazing. If you're into beer you need to go to Penrose.
Tim Scully — Google review
Great little brewery. Focus is on IPAs but they have enough selection of other styles to please everyone. All the beers I tried there (and I tried a lot of them) were all well done. My favorite though by far was their barleywine. They also have a good barrel program in the works. I’m excited to see what they release in the future.
Jeremy Bergener — Google review
This taproom has a great selection of unique beers. It’s a nice, open space with lots of tables, some spots at the bar, and a room available for events. A shelf of board games can provide endless entertainment! I love the sours they offer! I had a kettle sour tart cherry and sour rye with beet powder & agave syrup. So much flavor! As I was finishing up, the bartender offered me a few samples from their rotating menu. I’m glad I didn’t miss them.
It seems like most weekends, they have food trucks or other pop-ups outside. You can bring your own food in too! Penrose is doing something right, keep it up!
Historic public garden specializing in lilacs (200+ varieties) & tulips (50+), with a picnic area.
Holiday lights are wonderful! This park is great all year round, but best during the winter. It is free and easy to walk around. During busy times they do have food/hot coco. Also, it is right across from the train station so you can get there easily by rail.

I only got a chance to see the park during late winter hours when christmas lights lit up. It was very stunning and beautiful. I can't imagine how colorful it is going to be during summer days. Right across the street from the Lombard Metra station. Unfortunately, you can't bring your dog to the park.

Lovely local park. Daffodils blossom in April, Tulips in May, then Lilacs. When lilacs are in full bloom there are a few weeks of pay to enter. Lombard residents are always free.

Beautiful park! Flower beds and grass areas are always kept up very nicely. A great place to host small wedding or picnic. I brought some friends here for a picnic and it was perfect. Plenty of trees for shade on hot days, as well as open picnic bunches. Would highly suggest walk, photo shoot, or picnic.

This is a lovely small park. In the spring you have daffodils, tulips, and then lilacs of every color. No dogs allowed, unfortunately.
Marilyn Sweeny — Google review
I’ve discovered you can have too many lights! This is a great place to go, especially if you have kids, to see lots and lots of Christmas lights. The problem is there’s little to physically separate areas, so in many places you see so many lights it’s hard to see what’s right in front of you. Buts it’s free, there’s tons of parking, and I think it’s better than driving around looking at lights on houses.

We had our wedding ceremony here almost 20 years ago, so I may be biased. This park feels like a private garden with an aura of historical significance. I really like knowing the design of the park and its many botanical varieties date back to Reconstruction era Americana. Other than the signature lilacs, my other highlight would be the water feature and grove area.. perfect for an afternoon picnic.
Must visit during Lilac blooming season late April through early May. Also fun to take the family during the holiday season to see the gaudy Christmas light displays.

Went for the Lilac fest...it was beautiful! Lots of lilacs, greenery, benches and tables. I brought food and ate outside while enjoying the atmosphere. DEFINITELY will be back! Also they had public bathrooms...but caution...I was there around 2ish and almost out of toilet paper. Suggestion... if you plan to stay a long time, keep a roll in your car.

Not the parks fault, but dogs are NOT allowed! Unfortunately I figured this out halfway through the lights. 😬 My bad, but I was temporarily an outlaw.
Leave the pup at home & enjoy the lights! Plenty of free public parking in the lot on Park.

I tried to get to this park for several years right as the bloom meter said the lilacs were in full bloom and this year I made it. I signed up on the website to keep me informed of when they were going to be in bloom and I made it! The day was beautiful. My mother, my daughter and I spent time wandering around through all the paths, looking at all the beautiful flowers, taking very beautiful pictures and making lots of great memories. There were lots of families taking professional photos, couples spending time together and people just getting out and enjoying the park as we were which made the atmosphere of the park very inviting and peaceful. The smell of the lilacs and flowers were a great start to Spring. The park would be a beautiful place for a wedding, a small get-together, sitting and reading a book with a cup of tea or just getting some exercise. Overall, we loved the park and will return again hopefully next year.

The Buckingham Fountain is a large, three-level rococo fountain located in Grant Park in Chicago. The fountain features a light and water show that is enjoyed by visitors of all ages, and it also has an outstanding background for photography.
Visited in September, 2022. Buckingham Fountain is one of the most magnificent fountains I have ever experienced. It is very huge and beautiful. Visit Grant Park to see this fountain. This is a nice place to meditate or people watch. There is plenty of parking nearby. This is an excellent spot for taking pictures of the Chicago skyline and incorporating it into photos with the fountain.

Beautiful fountain in the middle of Grant Park Chicago. No entrance fee! Easy walk from Michigan Ave, We walked to the fountain from the Art institute within 10 minutes. You can also hop on a rental bike or there are many bikers that have carriage rides available for you along the waterfront and fountain areas you can hop on and get a ride if needed. It has a beautiful view of the lakefront on one side and the city buildings as a back drop on the other sides. The fountain is one of the largest fountains in the world donated by Kate Buckingham. The fountain has a beautiful night light show that has 820 lights that are meant to convey soft moonlight. It has three pumps pushing over 14,000 gallons of water per minute through 134 jets. It's a definite must do when in Chicago!

One of the largest fountains in the world (Built-in 1927 as a donation from the family), the feature boasts 133 jets that shoot water as high as 150 feet into the air during 20-minute choreographed displays (take place every hour between 8 AM and 11 PM). The last display of the evening starts at 10:35 PM. After dusk, the water show is accompanied by lights, a must-see if you are in the neighborhood in the evening.
The fountain is the central focal point of Grant Park, Chicago's expansive public space with many attractions and smaller parks like Millennium Park, comparable to Central Park.
Extra point for - the view from this place... one side, Chicago skyline, another side, the path to Michigan River.... so location wise- its top place.
and From Skydeck Chicago- you can understand how strategically this fountain is placed.

“Love and Marriage, Love and Marriage, go together like a horse and carriage, this I tell ya brother, you can’t have one without the other…”
If you have ever watched the classic show Married with Children, then you have seen Buckingham Fountain. The iconic fountain in the opening credits is located in Chicago, IL and it is quite easily accessible via the park there.
Besides that, not much to say about it. It is a giant fountain in the middle of the park. I went during the day, so maybe they have some cool light shows at night? The area is nice and it was really cool to see an iconic landmark from a TV show in person. If you are in the area, you’ll be near Millennium Park, so check out Cloud Gate while you are in the area. (Edit: Buckingham Fountain is not in Millennium Park, like I previously thought. Whoops!)

Buckingham Fountain in Chicago is an iconic landmark that truly captivates visitors with its grandeur and beauty. I recently had the pleasure of visiting this magnificent fountain, and it was an experience I will cherish for a long time.
As you approach the fountain, its sheer size and intricate design immediately command attention. The majestic centerpiece, surrounded by four beautiful sea-horse sculptures, stands as a testament to the city's rich history and dedication to creating stunning public spaces.
The fountain's water display is a sight to behold, especially during its hourly water shows. The cascading water jets, reaching heights of up to 150 feet, are set to the backdrop of the stunning Chicago skyline. The combination of water, light, and music during the evening displays creates a magical atmosphere that leaves visitors in awe.
The surrounding Grant Park provides a perfect setting for leisurely strolls and picnics, offering ample green spaces and beautiful gardens. The fountain serves as a focal point within the park, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists to gather and enjoy the vibrant energy of the city.
What impressed me the most was the attention to detail and the careful preservation of Buckingham Fountain's historical significance. The recent restoration efforts have ensured that this architectural masterpiece remains in pristine condition for generations to come. The dedication to maintaining the fountain's beauty and historical value is evident in every aspect of its upkeep.
During my visit, I noticed that the fountain attracts a diverse crowd, from families with children running gleefully through the water to couples taking romantic strolls by the fountain's edge. The sight of people from different walks of life coming together to appreciate this iconic landmark adds a sense of community and connectedness.
The Buckingham Fountain is not just a beautiful sight but also a symbol of the city's spirit and resilience. It has stood the test of time, enduring decades of changing seasons and weather, yet it continues to be a symbol of Chicago's vibrant culture and enduring charm.
If you're planning a trip to Chicago, Buckingham Fountain is an absolute must-visit destination. Whether you're interested in history, architecture, or simply looking for a peaceful spot to enjoy the city's beauty, this iconic landmark will leave a lasting impression on your heart and mind. Don't forget to catch the hourly water shows, as they are truly a spectacle that shouldn't be missed. Buckingham Fountain is undoubtedly one of the city's most treasured gems, and it will undoubtedly make your visit to Chicago a memorable one.

What can I say? Besides its beautiful, classic, & an icon for the City of Chicago ⛲️🌃 I've driven past here a hundred times on Lake Shore Drive, & have always marveled at the beauty of the fountain, but none of that prepared me for the upclose experience. The Buckingham Fountain ⛲️ is something you want to experience in your lifetime. I felt as if I was transported to a past time.. the sheer beauty of it in the daytime is only magnified 10x by the view of it at night. With the iconic Chicago skyline as its backdrop, this truly is a sight that NEEDS to be seen in person. It was absolutely breathtaking.✨️ It's located in Grant Park, which also has a beautiful rose garden🌹 and other photo worthy attractions. It's a must-see, in person, for both visitors and locals like myself. When you live so close to a big city, you tend to take the magnitude of it for granted. You really do have to stop, smell the roses 🌹, & appreciate what an absolute treasure you have 30 minutes away from home ⛲️🌃🤍

This iconic fountain is such a much visit while in Chicago. The location is prime, right in Grant Park and very close to the Millennium Park and west of the shores of the Lake Michigan.
The fountain itself is majestic, one of the largest fountains in the World. It has four sets of Seahorses representing each of the four states of Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana that border Lake Michigan. Just a 360 walk around the fountain can be entertaining as you can catch various angles of the fountain against the different backdrop of the city and the skyline and the Lake, just magnificent!
The water shoots up the fountains so high that on a windy day you could have a nice light shower standing even a good 50 feet away or farther from the edge, depending on the direction of the wind.
There are Some food carts around the fountain and nearby and there are facilities by it. You can spend a good hour if not longer at this location just admiring the fountain and the surroundings.

I went on the tour of the facilities. It was honestly informative an enjoyable. The tour started with a premium cocktail and then proceeded to the production area. My wife and I were recently in Geneva and I had noticed that Fox River Distilling Company had a tour on Saturdays. If you're in the area and have about an hour and a half, you'll have both a fun and an educational time here! The distillery makes vodka, gin, and moonshine - all of which are quite delicious. The tour mixes a bit of a history of the town, how the company was founded, and how they actually go about making their alcohol.
Also if you sign up for their mailing list they have volunteer nights where you can actually go through the distilling process with the owners and help to bottle their product which sounds like an absolute blast.
Well worth the visit!

Fun place to check out. The citrus gin is refreshing and very worth drinking. You can sign up to help them bottle and get first swipe at the freshly bottle liquor. I wasn't onboard with their whisky. All they have right now is small cask that isn't aged very long. It had a rough edge to it that isn't to my particular bourbon tastes. I will be back to check out their large cask bourbon when it's ready, as they show great promise.

The view is beautiful too, as sitting on one of those benches would be enough to relax.. I take pictures of that beautiful environment too whenever I'm there.. If you like to be out in nature and still be close to the town center this is the place to be especially on weekends..

Came here on the last week of September, was still 70°. One of the most relaxing and tranquil places to take a walk. Spent about two hours here and saw bikers and walkers, was too busy for biking but will come back next year with our bikes.

My family & I loved it! Fun for the whole family. Walking, running, biking path runs along the river over scenic bridges. Playground for kids and a zip line. So clean & peaceful. Plenty of benches and picnic tables to have a seat and relax with the beautiful view😍 Bring a camera!

We like going here after doing a whole house paint job. It is so relaxing sitting next to the Fox River, and listening to flow. It had been many years ago and area businesses changed, but still very nice. Clean bathrooms and friendly people.

A beautiful place to take ur family. Scenic area right next to the fox river. The play park for kids is very fitness oriented with rock and tree climbing, they have a small zip line as well. Close by is a clean public facility to use. Highly recommend this for a nice pic nik or walk. ( nice fishing spots as well )

Island Park is a favorite for afternoon walks along the river and a great place to enjoy the outdoors.
5-acre facility featuring native domestic animals & wildlife, plus ponds, a barn & natural habitats.
This was such a nice little zoo walk. The zoo is small and cozy. Just the right size for a young family to take an outing to for a quiet time with some animals. The exhibits are nice and there is a barn full of animals to enjoy. The light at Christmas are a lot of fun to see too.

Great way to spend a summer afternoon. Fun for young children but also for adults. A great space to walk around and enjoy the weather. The animals are basic farms animals and i couldn’t really see any of the birds.
Side note: I would come around 4 pm next time because it was blisteringly hot from 1-3pm. But there is not much crowd around that time too.

My 5-year-old grandaughter and I visited on a cold January day but it was nice to find the zoo open. Some exhibits and the cafe were closed for the season but it was a small area with enough animals to be interesting to young children. All the employees were nice and friendly. Only I wish there were a few more spots to sit and warm up and some food beyond snacks. Also thought the gift shop items were overpriced. Still, a very nice outing.

Compact zoo focusing on Illinois and non-exotic animals. The foxes are very cute, and the llamas were lovely to see. Won't take long to tour, so don't plan on making a whole day of it. Perfect spot to let the kids explore and burn off some energy.

Recently took my three year old niece for a visit. Perfect size for little ones. Barnyard animals galore. The staff is very informative and friendly. The animals are well taken care and seem in good spirits. The price of admission is reasonable. Definitely a cool place for little ones. Not too large and not too small.

Cosley Zoo is a great place to spend an hour or so enjoying the outdoors and the company of friendly animals! There is an opportunity to feed the ducks at the duck pond and there are sheep and donkeys, cows and goats in the farmyard.
Admission is free for children and $9 for adults and they have senior rates as well. At this point in 2021 they still have timed tickets, so order yours online ahead of time.
The donkey and the cow came up to the fence and wanted to be petted by the visitors! There are some big black pigs and some chickens that are entertaining to watch and listen to the noises that they make. There are a lot of birds as well as rabbits, a bobcat, coyotes, turkey vultures and deer.
Many of the animals that come to the Cosley Zoo are ones that were injured or did not have parents and needed to be rehabilitated and we're not fit to go back in the wild.
Visiting the Cosley Zoo is a great way to find out about local animals and how they play a role in our world and in the environment. You can enjoy ice cream, hot dogs, mac and cheese, PBJ, and pizza at the concession stand.
They offer reasonable cost annual membership ~ only $39 for one adult and $59 for two adults.

I really like it here. I brought my family here for the first time and my kids loved it. I like how it wasn't as crowded as when we go to Brookfield. I can let my kids walk around but without having a tight grip on them. Staff is friendly. Got to pet a chicken and for my kids it was the first time for that too. Will be coming back here again tomorrow with the in laws so they can enjoy it too.

Perfect little zoo for littles! So glad I discovered this gem of a zoo after having my second child with a toddler to entertain. Even though we live in Naperville it’s worth the trek because my toddler is obsessed with farm animals and it’s a very manageable outing with an infant and toddler. It’s a very manageable size for an hour or two visit (my son wanted to see each animal 3x!). Best of all, everything is pretty well fenced in and safe so it’s easy to keep a toddler in sight. There’s not really much place to run off. Some might say it’s a little small but I felt this was an advantage compared to a large more traditional zoo especially for toddlers. You’re not going to see large exotic animals but my son is more into farm animals anyway. There’s an iconic looking red barn and windmill that he got so excited about! The zoo has farm animals, birds, ducks, etc. and you can get right up close which is great for little kids. We visited in the spring and there were baby lambs and baby cows. So cute! The grounds are nice and pleasant to walk around or have a little snack or lunch. There are plenty of picnic tables. Hasn’t been too crowded during the week when we’ve gone. We will definitely be going back regularly!

So cute! My older kids loved the local animals! My youngest enjoyed everything and wanted to buy ice cream. Non residents adults are $10 each and kids 17 and under are free!

First time here, there was about 3 other families here with younger children. It's perfect for families with toddlers anyone older will be bored.
It's a quaint little zoo to walk through in about 20min. We stayed about an hour, our girl loves bunnies and ducks so we sat and watched the bunny run around like crazy making her laugh.
Not sure what the caboose had in it, but it was temporarily closed. They have a little gift store at the end to get a little something for your kiddos if you want. All and all a nice time there

Come for the experience of a small town feel Christmas, not for the animals. They have lights at night, a few animals to see, a nice zoo store for Christmas gifts, a very good place to buy Christmas trees, hot chocolate and more. We go here every year and enjoy it every year.
Baseball stadium home to the Kane County Cougars, with a huge concessions menu & 3 party decks.
We moved out of the general area and this was our first time here in many years. It's grown significantly in the last 20 years! The park was awesome, lots of staff, good, fair priced food and drink, including mixed drinks! They featured two food trucks. They have a walk-in cooler in left field where you can select your own craft beer and "chill" at the same time. My only negative comment is that I thought the parking fee was a bit high at $10 general and $20 for premium. We had a nice evening!

Great minor league baseball experience, especially for families and kids! Kid friendly environment was a perfect way to introduce my 10 yr old to professional baseball (on May 20, 2023). He got to run the bases after the game and he even got to catch an errant ball tossed to him in the outfield terrace. Parking is ok but is a long walk to stadium. Despite this, we will definitely be back!

Staff was great. Weather was perfect! Food could have been a little better. We had a party on the outfield deck. Had to wait a bit and could have been warmer. Need condiments for sandwiches for sure!
Fireworks were good also.

Fantastic venue for a minor league experience. Family safe seating in grand stand and down the lines with plenty of netting, but also great sightlines of the field. The berms down the outfield lines are spacious and allow for blankets & folding chairs. Food options were your standard ballpark fair but delicious, and the picnic areas in the outfield allow for great group outing options. Parking was also organized and as efficient as could be expected given the volume of folks that show up. The Cougars do a great job creating a fun, family-friendly baseball experience. We also went on Star Wars night which was a lot of extra fun with characters dressed up on the concourse available for pictures: Mando, Obi-Wan, Storm Troopers, etc. and then a fireworks show afterward. The extra theatrics made for an extra special night.

Went to the very first Atomic Porkchop team introduction on 7/19/19. This is hosted at the Northwestern Medicine Field, known locally as the cougars stadium.
Food was amazing, the pork chops served were out of this world. Glad their was no atomic sauce to over spice this delicious past time sandwich.
Attached are pictures of the box seat section located in the private upper deck. Plenty of fireworks that follow the game.

The Game was interesting, and pulled off a win for the Cougars. Even a tiny bit extra with a little fight at the end of the game. Then fireworks show was pretty good! Overall a good Night.

A chance to see some local baseball talent on the field. The kids play area with the $10 unlimited attraction wristband is absolutely worth every cent. The wristband allows the kids to participate in all the attractions as many times as they want until the 8th inning. Food and drink can be pricey but the tickets to the game and parking are far cheaper than the major league games.
Alexander Engler — Google review
Enjoyed a pre concert show in the park. Enjoyed watching the Cougars play ball. Still a good value and we had great first base 4th row seats.
It's time for the stadium to update its sound system. It was very difficult to hear and/or understand.
We experienced fans who were up and down constantly to buy food and drinks for their groups. Wondering if more vendors in the stands hawking their wares would alleviate this?
Great place for a family.
RG 2.0 — Google review
We enjoy minor league baseball since it’s less expensive and a more enjoyable fan experience from the larger major league ballparks and this field was great. Great food options, great seats, typical zany entertainment during the game, and fireworks to boot after the game when the home team won on a walk off home run in the 11th inning!
Karl Peterman — Google review
The stadium is a great way to watch a somewhat inexpensive baseball game. The Cougars are great and the team is very nice. I even got a baseball from one of the players. The food is very good and the game is great to watch. They had a special firework show you got to watch and you even got to run the bases.
Ethel Eastman — Google review
For a little stadium it had a lot of perks. There was a concert at the music stage area, a ballgame with all you can eat picnic food (burgers, brats, hot dogs, pulled pork, fruit, chips, potato salad, ice cream, soda and water) then fireworks after the game. So much fun and very family friendly.
Great course, beautiful scenery and overall great course to go to! Nice management as well!
Antonio Buccieri — Google review
Great layout, needs more attention from groundskeepers.
Pros:
-Course layout is very interesting and each hole is different.
-Sand traps were in really good condition for mid-April.
-Desk staff is friendly. No starter, or ranger, but course traffic was light that day.
- Price point when we played was well below rack rate. I find the standard rate to be a bit too high for the current quality of the grounds.
Cons:
-Fairways are thin in general, rough is clumpy with a fair number of weeds
-Some tee boxes are in very bad shape
-No roving beverage cart, and snack shack was closed. New clubhouse that was supposed to be built at start of hole #1.... wasn't ever built. Only building is the old one between #17 and #18. No ETA for the new clubhouse either. I recommend you buy drinks and snacks when you check in, it may be the only chance to get them.
-Greens hacked up in places, while rather good in others.
Overall: A course with a LOT of potential, but it needs quite a bit of work. I hope they invest in maintenance going forward.
Andrew Baffes — Google review
This course has been added to the "AVOID AT ALL COSTS" list after playing it this past weekend. When paying $65/round you expect decent fairways, rough that is living, and greens that can hold fairway shots from 100 yards and roll with consistency. However, this course had the $65 price tag with none of the aforementioned qualities. I think it would be in their best interest to turn this course back into a garbage dump.

A warm day in early May compelled me to play a course on my bucket list. Settler’s Hill Golf Course in Batavia, IL has a rarified legacy and local reputation. Built by renowned Chicago Golf Course architect Bob Lohmann in 1991, with a renovation by Greg Martin during Covid 2020-2022. I’ve written about Lohmann’s work before. His company designed legendary tracks including The Preserve at Oak Meadows, Blackstone in Marengo, Arrowhead in Wheaton, Springbrook and Naperbrook in Naperville and The Merit Club in Libertyville. Like Harborside and The Preserve, Settler’s Hill is built on a landfill which provides abundant elevation changes and great views. The property has ghosts of the “Poor Farm” which occupied this land between 1880-1970. The indigent cemetery can still be seen from the 17th fairway and you can blame the unsettled ghosts for your lost ball. The layout is unique as it meanders from links style Prarie into woodland forest. Several nice bridges add to the beauty and special amenities on the course. Bring extra balls but laying up is the best way to avoid OB. The elevation changes are so much fun here, and deep bunkers strategically placed, sometimes in the middle of the fairway require patient shot making. But success feels extra special. While this track is a lot of fun, it’s still a little rough around the edges with overgrown areas and unfinished paths. My biggest complaint is the slow greens which were agonizingly slow. They cost me several strokes 3-putting until I made the adjustment. The clubhouse is cool, like a Northwoods lodge and the bathrooms on the course are new and well constructed. There’s also a par-3 course on the property for a fun short game play. I highly recommend Settler’s Hill for a great value and a beautiful elevation-inspired round. When I return I just hope the greens will be faster.

A real missed opportunity. The layout is one of the best in the area. It’s challenging, scenic, and diverse. However the course was in poor condition. I wasn’t expecting perfection but the “complete renovation” was more like new cart paths and a few new greens. Every other course in the area is in much better shape, even the ones that cost less.
The person at the check in desk said I didn’t have a tee time despite showing my confirmation email. The starter had me on his list though. Also, pace isn’t enforced here. It ended up being a 5 hour round.
William Huey — Google review
Love the recent redesign including the new par 3 holes. It’d be great if they can invest just a bit more into growing and maintaining the fairway grass to make it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Chris Wild — Google review
Anyone complaining about how the course is must play Augusta National in their free time. The course is in decent shape due to a recent renovation. Some spots on the fairway are not covered, so you know what you do? Move the ball. You aren't playing for $10MM. All the up and down was challenging but not discouraging. Bugs were an annoyance but you're outside. I'd come back again.
Nick Kupinski — Google review
Great course with up and down hills that are not very common among Illinois golf courses. The opening par 4 on top of a highland brings you a breathtaking paranorma view of the course, and the down hill slope will pleasantly add a good amount of yardage to you tee shot that could bring you a happy first par as long as you stay away from the tall grass area on the right.
The two over-the-cliff par 3 holes offer stunning views and thrill experiences that only the more expensive championship courses could match, this places is highly recommended for a memorable golf experience.
Don Sun — Google review
Course was in decent shape, but they are charging way too much for a middle of the week round of golf.

Such a disappointment. This course has gone downhill since I played it last year. They clearly gave up and it's a shame because it has a great layout. They charge $63 on the weekend and it's not worth it for that price. I hate to say it but don't waste they money here.

It's always a fun time on the hill. Ground is rock solid, and it gets windy as hell, but the views are great.
The Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art is a museum dedicated to displaying fine carvings made from jade, minerals, and gemstones. The museum also features educational exhibits on geology such as gemstones and fossils alongside workshops for children to learn about rock identification and jewelry making. In addition to viewing the collections, visitors can participate in hands-on activities. The online activities include virtual classes on jewelry making and rock identification classes.
We visited as part of a homeschool field trip and it was a wonderful learning experience and environment for the children of various ages to explore geology and exquisite art. Mostly viewing, but several interactive hands-on learning opportunities we available. Highly recommend visiting.

AMAZING museum. Wide variety of sculptures, carvings, mosaics, and art pieces. Some absolutely breathtaking pieces- I've included a few pictures but they don't do them justice. It's really something you must see with your own eyes!
But the art isn't all- there's a section on the science of minerals and the like, including (but not limited to) how crystals are cut and polished, different kinds of fossils, and replicas of famous gemstones.
And the gift shop has tons of real minerals and crystals, and many at an affordable price.
Overall, a must-see if you like gems, art, science, Chinese art history, or shiny trinkets!

Highly recommend checking out Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art. I found about this museum accidentally while checking out the reviews on other matter, and I was very glad I checked this place out! I took friends who was visiting from out of town; this museum was wonderful place to treat guests. Not a huge place and yet, had various selections of unique, intricate works of art to enjoy. Everything was nicely organized throughout the place, displayed balanced art works from different materials, themes, origins, etc. Interactive screens were provided for patrons to engage with learning via fun animated games; selections of short segments of videos (3 to 10 min.) showcasing how to cut stones/gems were very interesting and informative. Shopping at the museum shop was a fun way to end the visit, as the shop itself provided the delightful selections of unique gift items, art works, jewelry at a surprisingly good quality/prices. With courteous staff, only $10 admission, visit to Lizzadro Museum was such a delightful, wonderfully educational experience.

Small, affordable, amazing, and educational museum. A must-see if you're into rocks and gemstones. Lots of carved jade. Wall of cute dioramas with carved stone animals. If they expand the fossil and gemstone exhibits in the back, this place would be even more awesome! Give it about 2 hours to get through the museum. They have a gift shop, too. Some of the items in the shop could really be on display in the museum.

I have been visiting since I was a kid. I love this place even though it's small. The new location is awesome! The workers are awesome. Free parking.
No cafe available here. Handicap accessible. It's not a "whole day" type place. I think the longest we spend was 1 hour, but I promise this place is a treasure.
It's definitely worth a visit each year. They have free days, but please donate and shop on those days! If you love photography, bring your camera.
I now bring my daughter here after YEARS of visiting. She enjoys the gift shop more, I must say. The gift shop does have items for all price brackets.
May this place continue to grow and prosper.
I have a ton of photos and none does them justice.
