Joshua Tree National Park, a renowned desert park, is a popular destination for campers and hikers to discover its geologic wonders alongside its iconic Joshua trees. The park offers well-maintained facilities and stunning views with plenty of opportunities for adventurous hiking and rock climbing. Visitors can make their road trip more interesting by making stops at unique landmarks such as Salvation Mountain while entering from the 10 freeway.
We’ll kept facilities and gorgeous views. Plenty of good hiking and rock climbing if you’re adventurous. Entering from the 10 freeway avoids a long line to get in, though that also puts you farthest from the best parts.

Absolutely beautiful. You could spend a lifetime exploring this park. It is huge with many day use and overnight camping areas. Be prepared to drive, as all the sites are bit far apart. Bring plenty of water and snacks, there are none in the park and it IS a desert. Restrooms are at day use areas. Snakes are common in hotter months so exercise caution when climbing among the rocks. That being said there are lots of rock climbing routes, great for both bouldering and line climbers. The day use areas are the most family-friendly, with lots of non-strenuous hikes. Because of this, these areas are the most populated. If you're looking for less people, you can just pull over anywhere and start exploring. If you camp overnight, I suggest camping off the ground (just my own opinion) because scorpions come out at night. 😬
A word of caution: flash flooding is extremely common and it's best to leave at any sign of weather.

The best I.S. National Park for me, I’m a teen and I love climbing on rock piles! The rocks are so beautifully shaped and positioned in valleys and on hills, I saw giant rabbits with very long pink ears and lots of interesting desert plants. There are so many trails and they all seem different. It’s also very close to the town that has a yummy organic/vegan food place that is pretty crowded when L.A. people are on their weekend trips.

Best place to visit for those who love desert adventure. A huge park with beautiful roads & no shelters, no shades, no greenery. Lots of sand Trails. One can see are rocks of all shapes & sizes, cactus & desert trees only. Totally dry area, absolutely no water. Not a place to visit on a hot day and definitely not in Summer. Lovers of Rocks must & should dash to this place.

Had a great two day visit here. Lots to see. Easy access and great day hikes. If you’re here to climb you have already heard how good it is. Be careful on the dirt roads as there are stupid people driving trucks at out of control speeds.

This is a gorgeous National Park. I've visited a couple of times over the years and always have a good time. Beautiful scenery and great to get out in nature. Nice place to stop by if you are visiting the Palm Springs area.

Do not miss out on visiting this incredible Park! The landscape, fauna and flora are just extraordinary. The giant boulders are huge and beautiful - to climb over, under and aside is amazing. To stay at one of the campgrounds will be one of the best experiences.
Drive, walk, cycle, run, but just make sure to spend time here! No cell phone service in the park but it just isn't necessary.
Justine Edwards — Google review
Unique landscapes, easy hikes, weird trees. I would say that most of the things can be seen within one day, but probably more pleasant to stay for a night in a town nearby and then devote two days. Most of the hikes are very clearly marked and don’t need special footwear. Pack layers as it gets cold fast in the winter.

Joshua tree National park is one of the best parks I’ve been to. I love that you can cover the most of the must see places in a day and at night you can stay at the arch rock to look at the starts. The park has plenty restrooms At multiple locations. It has 4 visitor centers on each direction. Roads are well maintained. Overall great place for getaway.

I am in love with this place!! Great scenery, make sure to plan out any trails you are planning to explore in advance and that is according to your level. Take a lot of water, sunscreen and good shoes if you are planning on walking. And… please for the love of good take a camera with you. This place is worth so much more time to explore. These formations are amazing and if you have the chance to climb any please do so.

Very interesting experience! There are exhibits and areas to get out of the car all over the place. Very cool to see the Joshua Trees and nature. 10/10, recommend driving through if you’re in the area!

Great park to ride a motorcycle through, the roads in the surrounding area are also great. Do try to go early as possible to avoid all the cars. You can also camp here and see an amazing view of stars. Joshua tree is a designated dark sky site.

Hands down my favorite national Park to go to although it might be the only national Park I've ever been to. I didn't think I liked the desert until I was able to visit this park and it is beautiful beyond compare. I wondered how all of these little clumps of rocks ended up here. Easy to drive through without getting lost and I hope to return one day to camp just for one night.

Joshua Tree National Park is a true desert wonderland, offering an unforgettable experience for nature enthusiasts and adventurers alike. The park's unique landscape, characterized by its iconic Joshua trees, massive rock formations, and clear night skies, creates a sense of awe and inspiration. I had the privilege of exploring various trails, each leading to its own breathtaking vistas and hidden treasures. Whether you're into hiking, rock climbing, stargazing, or simply enjoying the tranquility of the desert, Joshua Tree National Park has it all.
One of the highlights of my visit was the opportunity to witness the remarkable sunrise and sunset views. The play of colors across the desert landscape is a sight to behold, and I found myself captivated by the ever-changing beauty of this place.
It's worth noting that while the park offers an incredible experience, it can get quite hot during the day, so it's advisable to plan your outdoor activities accordingly and bring plenty of water. Also, be prepared for fluctuating temperatures, as desert nights can be surprisingly chilly.
Despite the harsh environment, the park is well-maintained, with informative visitor centers and well-marked trails. The rangers are knowledgeable and helpful, ensuring that visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience.
In summary, Joshua Tree National Park is a must-visit destination for anyone who appreciates the natural wonders of the desert. It's a place of solitude, adventure, and unparalleled beauty. Whether you're an avid hiker, a rock climber, or a casual observer of the wonders of the natural world, this park has something for everyone. It's a true jewel of the American Southwest and a testament to the remarkable diversity of our national parks.

Joshua Tree National Park is a mesmerizing destination that defies expectations and captivates the senses!
As a seasoned traveler, I've explored many landscapes, but none compare to the unique allure of this national park. The endemic Joshua trees stand as sentinels, casting an otherworldly charm over the vast desert landscape. The alien rock formations add to the park's mystique, inviting exploration and contemplation.
However, it's during the magical hours of sunrise and sunset that Joshua Tree truly shines, painting the sky with breathtaking hues and casting long, dramatic shadows across the desert floor. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, photographer, or simply seeking adventure, Joshua Tree National Park promises an unforgettable experience unlike any other in the United States.
Olga Lonska — Google review
One of my actual favorite places to visit! It has so many wonderful things to see, other-worldly rock formations to hike through, vast desert views, the cutest little local shops, and of course Joshua Trees! Always a pleasure.
Lauren York — Google review
Very different national park. It has marvelous rocks which kids enjoy climbing. At night we had star gazing which was so serene. The cactus was huge and shining at night. The trails are muddy but good to walk.
Only thing I found a problem here is very few restrooms and water facilities. Carry lots of water and food as nothing is available inside park.
Sumit S — Google review
I have been visiting Joshua Tree National Park for many years. I am a professional Photographer and this is my favorite place to take pictures.
The natural beauty of this amazing place is breathtaking. I feel so at peace when I am here.
We love to go hiking on the numerous hiking trails. We also just enjoy driving through the park.
Be prepared when you come with extra water and food. Make sure you have plenty of gas before you enter the park. The nearest gas station is about 5 miles from the entrance on the East side of the park. The gas prices there were very expensive, about 50% higher than other gas stations.
There is no cell service inside the park, unless you have a satellite phone.
The best time of the year to visit is February through May. The weather is usually really good during these months.
We will continue to visit Joshua Tree National Park again soon. I love all of the memories we have made together as a family

Beautiful park! There is a little bit for everyone. There are dirt roads for some backroad trips, bouldering, rock climbing, hiking, or just chilling. You can just drive through and enjoy the scenery or spend days there.

I really enjoyed taking my family to Joshua Tree. This place was absolutely awesome. There is a lot to see because this national park is so big. I would highly recommend going to Skull Rock and take time to explore especially with kids. My kids loved running around, climbing rocks, and just taking in the views. Very memorable trip for the whole family.

What’s not to love?!? An incredible experience in a stunning environment. Some of the most enjoyable hiking we’ve experienced anywhere! Beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
Jamie l Thompson — Google review
Wow, this park is like something from outer space. We enjoyed every minute that we visited. Hiking was gorgeous and not too crowded. It was early March, so not crazy crowded. Would definitely recommend, even for elderly or handicapped as you can see a lot of the main things by driving through if you just want a feel for the park. I’m not sure how summer would be though!
Amy Robertsonsmith — Google review
This park is def worth the hype! Great accessibility with a variation of difficultly in activities and hikes!
It’s close to the town of Joshua tree which has accommodations like lodging, food, gas, activities, visitor center, and must see places!
Navigating the park is easy, park rangers are knowledgeable, and the volunteers that we encountered on the trails and asked questions were also very knowledgeable!
This park is very popular and can get extremely busy to the point that park rangers will turn people away to prevent congestion when there is no parking at a location. Get there early to avoid this and to avoid the unbearable heat and sun.

The museum was founded by industrialist Norton Simon, who began collecting art in the early 1900s. Famous pieces in the collection include Rembrandt van Rijn's Portrait of a Boy and Giovanni di Paolo's Branchini Madonna.
As beautiful as ever! It has been several years since I visited the Norton Simon. It was one of my favorite museums in so cal. Perfect smallish museum with loads to see. You can explore the whole museum, from ancient artifacts to modern art, in one day plus there are beautiful grounds to walk around plus a lovely cafe. If you have never visited this museum, you are missing out!

The main floor is broken up into four wings. Each wing spans a different time period. The gift shop is located on the main floor as well as access to the sculpture garden which is a beautiful setting. Downstairs there are south and southeast Asian sculptures. Then kind of tucked away on the lower level was a special exhibit.
Saw a lot of famous pieces here. I’ve seen so many prints of Diego Rivera’s The Flower Vendor, and it was great to finally see the original. There were also pieces by Van Gogh and Picasso.

Be sure to walk around the pond with the water lilies and sculptures. There is a Cafe out there. I have yet to avail myself of it.
We always visit after Huntington Gardens, but today we visited the quirky, extensive, singular, and fun Bunny Museum for 2 hours, then enjoyed 90 minutes here at the pond and in the collection.
Guests even got to take home a free art print today!

Sixty years in Southern California and this is my first visit to the Norton Simon. It’s a right-sized museum, big enough to immerse in art for hours or breeze through and pick a few works to sit and soak in. Loved being greeted by Rodin’s masterpiece The Burghers of Calais outside the entry, I didn’t know Simon had one! The exhibition featuring June Wayne and the Tamarind Lithography Workshop was excellent, a reminder of the extraordinary art produced over the years in LA. I was especially excited to see John McLaughlin’s Untitled c. 1946 in Simon’s collection, a wonderfully tasty little painting by one of my favorite Ca artists who most haven’t heard of.

Norton Simon is a treasure of a museum. It is right off the 134 freeway in Pasadena. So much to see. My favorite part is how you can download the app and get a private little tour right from your cell phone. Love the garden as well so beautiful. Parking is free and if you have your student ID you get in for free. I love going to Norton Simon for my weekend outing.

A very grown up art museum. Mostly paintings on the upper levels, divided by region and century. The bottom level was largely sculpture and carved bronze, stone and wood statues of Asian origin. There were 2 beautiful outdoor sculpture gardens and the grounds were clean and beautifully landscaped. Small cafe outside with a selection of drinks and light fare. $15 regular admission for adluts

Such a nice Museum. Looks smaller from the exterior, but there is lots to see, and there are a few members on the team who are always friendly (especially near the Renoir paintings). There is a large variety of art and peaceful gardens. I like that they are open late on fri and sat...it makes for a nice beginning to a night out.

Lovely bright museum with lots of art to see. Added bonus that you can bring your earbuds and listen to snippets about much of the art. Definitely for older audiences, there won't be any horse play tolerated by the docents.

Awesome experience! I got to see plenty of Picasso's and even a Henry Rousseau! I felt a little rushed, arriving at 3pm, thinking I'd get to see it all. A couple hours is not enough. I highly recommend getting here earlier rather than later. I wish I got more time to see the garden and the Asian history on the lower level.

Parking: plenty of site and on adjacent street. Free.
Entry: paid or free once a month or frew with bank certain cards on certain days
I went on a free day, the parking lot was nearly full but I found a spot in 5 minutes.
Surprisingly a good amount of well known artists including Picasso, Rodin, Rivera, van Gogh and Monet. They have sections for Italian, Dutch, French, and Spanish as well as small sections of 'modern art' like Warhol. Downstairs they have Oriental art, mostly Hindu idols and some Buddhist statues.
The best art here is the Italian.
In terms of LA county art museums I would place this second only to Getty center and Villa.
On site outside the building they have the famous 'thinker' sculpture.
Behind the building they have a pond, and nicely manicured garden with a Cafe.
Definitely worth a visit
Outlet mall Citadel Outlets features a variety of high-end retailers and restaurants. The mall is well-maintained and features beautiful decorations for Chinese New Year. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, and the staff in the stores are always happy to help. Parking options are plentiful, and walking around the mall is a fun experience. The food court here is great, with lots of options for various dietary needs.

This place is very disappointing.
When you read outlet, you think lots of stores. The options at this place are very small (not many sales and I came on labor day weekend) and I frequently have walked away empty handed!
There is no store here I can rave about.
The malls are even better than this “outlet.”
I gave it 3 stars because it is clean, parking is plenty&easy, and bathrooms are nice.

They have practically every outlet you can think of - from gap, guess and old navy to high end like emporio Armani and Tumi. Of course, there’s also Michael kors, coach, Kate spade, Disney, Steve Madden and Calvin Klein.

We found the Citadel Outlets really pleasant to shop at. It was not overly crowded like some of the Simon Premium Outlets we have been to in other cities in USA and Canada. Their Savings Passport, which you can sign up online to obtain, is actually useful and the shops allow you to use it to obtain further discounts

Not the biggest outlet town but it has majority of the big brands available. Place is nicely designed and there are signs and maps everywhere to help you get your way around instead of getting lost trying to find your favourite outlets.
The food available at the outlets could definitely be improved though, as there are less than 10 shops/restaurants there selling food. As the weather is cold, maybe would be good if there are more indoor seats around for people to rest in between shopping.
The staff in each of the outlet stores are mostly pleasant and helpful. No racism was encountered and they even assisted to unlock further discounts!

Here you’ll find stores like Coach, Nike, Kate spade, true religion, DKNY, and many others at this outlet. Considering it’s an outlet mall, they don’t always have the best offers.

This place is beautiful. Even on a day full of rain and cold weather we absolutely loved walking through and exploring everything this place has to offer. Plenty of plant scenery with a nice mixture of architecture, sculptures, and the galleries in between. The shop was fun to walk through and the coffee place had surprisingly delicious hot chocolate! Although the ticket costs about $25, it is definitely worth the price. The gardens are exquisitely beautiful, with meticulous design and maintenance evident throughout. Any attractions labeled on the map are not to be missed. This is an ideal place not just for studying, but also for relaxing and taking photos.
Visiting in February is too early as many other areas were not yet ready for visitors. However, we still had a wonderful experience exploring the Japanese garden, Chinese garden, and the tropical and desert gardens. It would be best to plan a visit in and after April.
If I were a local resident, I would definitely purchase a membership and visit the place every week.

The conservatory was pretty and great place for kids to interact. Lots of places to eat and plenty to see. We spent a few hours here but you could easily stay all day. There is a loop trail to follow which is easy to walk and runs through a series of gardens including Chinese, Japanese, desert, Australian, sub tropical and others. Great place to bring the family or catch up with friends. I cant believe this place is not more widely known. One of the best places we have been to in LA. Entrance fee $25 for adults. I remember coming to these gardens as a little girl when I lived in Los Angeles. I moved to Hawaii 30 years ago but have since come a few times to the gardens. This last visit I was surprised to see an entrance fee $25/pp. I don't remember ever paying to visit the gardens. However, I suppose these are different times. We spent at least three hours walking the gardens and didn't see everything but we were so tired from walking. The Japanese and Chinese gardens are absolutely spectacular and that is where we spent most of our time. The library was interesting but not what I had expected. we ended after three hours and sat in the restaurant near the entrance. We ate a "snack" before our dinner which was a deliciously prepared pizza.
We came on spring break for Hawaii and the parking lot was pretty crowded. But the grounds are so humongous we did not feel like there were many others around us as much. I totally recommend this place for anyone visiting.

The Huntington Gardens & Library is absolutely amazing! The beauty of the trees, plants and flowers is beyond description. The quality of the artwork and manuscripts on display is awe-inspiring. We had the best tour with a docent named Nicholas on Sunday morning. He was incredibly well-informed about the history of the property, the different types of vegetation, and the history of the artwork. We loved it so much, we bought a membership because we plan to go back many times throughout the year!

They’ll be checking your tickets twice! So don’t put it away after the first time. I went on a weekend 11 AM and it wasn’t too busy. Parking was packed though. Lots of flowers and life here! If you go right, then you’ll hit the museum first. Its chilly in there so if it’s hot, go to the museum to cool off. They do have a kids area where kids can play with water and mist! They also have a greenhouse you can explore. The entire place is beautiful! I think they can add a bit more directions on floor or around the gardens. We got lost since it’s so big. Their gift shop things are so cute too!

The botanical garden that you must visit. Variety of climate zones from desert to tropics is rather big - make sure to spend at least 2-3 hours. Japan garden location with bonsai trees warmed my heart - so many of them and so lovely! If you’re into art - check modern art one and the one with library, Italian art and sculptures.

Beautiful gardens, very nicely designed. I recommend buying tickets/making reservations in advance; we did so and there was no wait time. We visited the Chinese and Japanese Gardens, and they were amazing! In particular, the Japanese Garden had a really nice Bonsai tree section that I enjoyed. It was very sunny and hot, though, so if you’re visiting in the summer, hats and sunscreen are a must.

This place makes you feel as though you are enveloped within a living painting. A truly magical place. We did not explore the entire park, but will be back soon! I highly recommend visiting this place. The weekend was a little too busy for our liking. We felt rushed in some areas. However there are pockets of quiet sprinkled throughout this park. Absolutely amazing.

Absolutely an amazing collection of themed gardens and landscapes. While some look good year round, late Spring and Summer are the best times to come see everything in bloom, especially the rose garden. Plan on a whole day to tour gardens and maybe have time to visit some of the museum collections. There is a tea house which is lovely for lunch. Plenty of subject matter if you are a photographer. If I lived nearby, would certainly pickup a membership.

Amazing place. You can easily spend a whole day here, maybe two days. There are multiple art museums, and so many different gardens. Visited in January when a lot of the plants were barely starting to bloom but it’s was still very lovely. Highly recommend membership if you live in the area at all.

Beautiful gardens, library and museums. We spent hours walking around and enjoyed every different section. The Chinese Garden and the desert garden were the stand outs! The plants are beautiful and healthy.
We recommend buying tickets in advance. The morning before, the first two time slots were sold out. We went on a Saturday at noon and the parking lot was quite full. It took us a few minutes to park and then another few minutes to get in.

The Boone Gallery is my favorite Gallery here! The gardens are wonderful. It definitely has a corporate feel now that it is not owned by the family. I love the succulent varieties here. The Japanese garden is getting a wonderful renovation to the tea house! I really can't wait!

An absolutely beautiful spot to check out for locals and tourists alike. Ticket prices are a bit high, but totally worth it! You gain access to the library, art gallery, and the expansive grounds with many acres of different themed gardens. My personal favourite is the Chinese Garden. You could easily spend an entire day here exploring the grounds, and because they’re so expansive, it never feels crowded, even on a busy summer day. There are also a number of food, drink, and coffee options on-site should you feel hungry. All in all a great experience, highly recommend checking it out!

Beautiful views and great way to have some exercise, enjoy the past and present. This place is a magnificent, kept up well over the years and continues to be preserved. I'm so impressed at the gardens and I love the artwork and history behind all the old books and letters of the past. I feel like you really need a few days to come here to really absorb and enjoy everything.
Bring snacks n drink, helps to keep you going.

Absolutely love this place. Well organized, exquisitely maintained, and there's always something being added, repaired, or improved. The staff are always friendly and patient when I interact with them and it's never too busy to feel like you're unwelcome.
Perfect for family walks, taking your grandparents to get some exercise, afternoon tea, a picnic, or just relaxing on the grass to get some sun. The food can be pricey but the Chinese garden restaurant has some great options. The BBQ jackfruit vegan sandwich and the noodles are highly recommended.
Make sure to make an appointment in advance if you want to visit during high-traffic periods.

This is such a beautiful place. The gardens are spectacular. My personal favorite is the rose garden in spring. This last time we went we divided to try out the cafe. The staff was happy and friendly and the food was Topnotch. I love to take visitors here. It always impresses.

Always a pleasure. The grounds right now are so green and lush. Temperatures are mild. Camilla are just finishing blooming and roses are a few weeks out from blooming. Cherry trees are beautiful and some spring flowers still visible. The succulent blooms are still visible as well.

My wife and I came here this afternoon because she wanted to visit this place after hearing such good things. They had a sign that said tickets were sold out so good thing we got our tickets in advance. Finding parking was okay but I could see a lot of spot being taken. It was the first day after the rain storm we had so a lot of people came out. The weather was perfect and the flowers were blooming. We were able to check out the art gallery, rose garden, herb garden, Chinese garden and Japanese Garden. This is a good place to go for walks and just enjoy nature as well. I would highly recommend coming here if you haven't yet.

Just go. What an amazing experience. Would definitely go during the week if possible, and avoid school vacations. We purchased tickets for early entry at 10:00 am, and got there a little late and the parking lot was already quite full. But having a pass makes entry a breeze. It was our first time and we loved what we experienced: The Chinese Garden, The Japanese Garden and the American Art Collection, which was exceptional and not crowded. We did not see everything so a pro tip is to pick your priorities and come back. Note that we walked four miles and didn’t cover the entire estate. The gift shop was delightful as well. Lots of food options and bathrooms and benches to take a rest. We can’t wait to return!

This place is incredible. Careful with timing, we were there on a Monday afternoon in March and it was pretty busy. Make a reservation if you want to be sure you'll get in. Cost is $25 for adults, parking is free. We walked the whole park in a couple hours, you can really tailor it to whatever length you want it to be. Don't skip the art museums inside either, they were worth a chunk of the time there. You really can't pick a favorite at this place, check it all out!

Visiting the Huntington Library and Gardens in Los Angeles was an exquisite experience. The remarkable collection of art and rare books dazzled with its diversity and beauty. The tranquil atmosphere of the gardens and ponds provided an ideal setting for relaxation and contemplation.
It's fantastic that the regular admission ticket costs $29, and it's advisable to book in advance to avoid queues.
Additionally, the staff members exhibited a high level of professionalism and friendliness, ready to assist with any inquiries. Their loyalty and hospitality made my visit even more enjoyable and memorable

Make sure you stop by the Chinese gardens. The Bonsai on display there are just incredible. The structures and lake make for an impressive addition to what is already a beautiful landscape.
The admission price was somewhat high, but well worth it. I spent the whole day there and wished I had an extra day to explore every corner of this beautiful place.

This place was incredible!! I’m a recent graduate in horticulture so it was amazing to see the huge variety of plants on the property. The desert gardens were by far my favorite part of the whole property, but I also thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the gardens that we saw as well as the American Art displays. I was worried the gardens would be a little sparse since I visited in the winter, but there was more than enough to see thriving on the grounds. I would recommend buying tickets in advance and getting there when it opens so you can avoid any crowds. You also need to plan spending several hours here if you want to see all that is has to offer!
The Knott's Berry Farm theme park is a well-known and highly rated amusement park in California that features thrilling roller coasters, old-fashioned charm, and famous fried chicken. The park is extensive, with a range of attractions including the historical ghost town, the theme park with many thrilling roller coasters, the onsite Knotts Berry Farm Hotel, and the famous Mrs. Knotts Chicken Dinner Restaurant. Specials, deals, and events are always available on their website.
If you really can't afford other parks, or wasn't able to go to one because of the law, Knott's Berry Farm should be perfect and more affordable to save you from your troubles! They have neat merchandise for yourself or your friends and family, intense rides that will make you scream, like my personal favorite... the Silver Bullet from Ghost Town, and enjoy some awesome attractions and food! Heck, their chicken is fast, easy and high-quality, but also deliciously tasty! When you have your kids with you, you can take them to Camp Snoopy to meet up with your favorite Peanuts characters for some cute photos! If you haven't went to a theme park for a long time because of the pandemic or you're waiting very eagerly to go there, then America's #1 Theme Park of this will be awesome for you. Have fun and be very safe!🎡🎠🎢🚂

Knott’s Berry Farm is a very fun place for the whole family!! This place has many different types of attractions, whether it’s intense rides, mellow rides, rides for young children, popcorn stands, restaurants, games, and so much more. The way the rides are there, people from ant age can find a ride that fits them and they can ride it and enjoy it. The food there is also very good, including restaurants such as Johnny Rockets and Panda Express, and there are many delicious desert places and candy shops. Overall a 10/10, highly recommended for anyone looking to have a fun filled time!!

I haven't been here in over a decade and was pleasantly surprised with my experience there yesterday. It was not busy at all for Sunday and the longest line we waited in was just an hour. The performances of the castmates in the Calico Ghost Town were a nice touch that I don't recall ever experiencing before. We got the meal pass which was a great value as it allowed us to eat one entree and side at almost any of the dining options every 90 minutes. I do just wish there were better food choices. Our favorite was Panda Express.

A visit to Knott's is akin to comfort food. I know just what to expect and there's never a dull moment. Each visit is a unique experience and tremendous fun. It is best to arrive early and simple knock out most of the park before nightfall. Highly recommend going for a season pass and visiting about every other month; definitely the best value in So Cal!

It's a very fun park, it has a lot of roller coasters, some might be very intense for some people. There are other rides for adults and kids and have many other attractions only for kids.
Be aware that you might get wet in a couple of attractions, and usually they have a free storage for you to place you belongings while riding.

This time of year Knotts is all decorated for Christmas with lights everywhere and it "snows" in different areas. It's so beautiful. They also have the Snoopy ice skating show, which is amazing! It's a lot going on in the show for everyone to enjoy, get in line early to get better seats. The lines are pretty long for the rides once 1:00 comes, but if you go early when they open you can get on a few rides before the lines start to get long. Parking also gets super full too. I highly recommend coming here to enjoy a day of thrills.

You have to Go!🤘😎👍 This is my family’s first time visiting this park. This is so different than Disneyland and so much fun. The roller coasters run through the park and sometimes fly right above you. We went during the Boysenberry Festival and that was yummy. Get a tasting card to see what’s on it. This is a very fun amusement park. There is so much to do and experience and so much to eat and drink. You definitely have to go on 👻 Ghost Rider and Silver Bullet and you can’t miss the 1881 Steam Engine Train 🚂💨 Also take a break at sunset and go ride the Sky Cabin ride to enjoy the view above the park. We really enjoyed the whole park. The food was great they even had a 🐼 Panda Restaurant inside. You must stop by the 🚒 Fireman’s Brigade BBQ 👨🚒 and get a funnel cake with ice cream. Also you can’t go wrong picking something up from the bakery. We grabbed the unlimited all day refills cup about $20 you could refill every 15 minutes if you need to. We stayed from opening to closing and would do it all again. Be patient and be kind to the those working there. Have fun!

A great theme park! If you like well themed parks and interesting and different rides this is the park for you! Dark rides, Coasters, Flat Rides, Water Rides, Interesting and unique foods! Boysenberry flavored EVERYTHING. Can't wait until I get to go back and have more fun with friends! Oh and dont forget the chicken dinner! It's a ridiculous amount of food for the price!

Loved it, went during the boysenberry festival. There was so much to do. There were so many shops, and tons of new food items to try. Entire ghost town and many parts of the park are filled with gorgeous flowers and arrangements. Great for family pics. There's also a bunch of shows and activities going on for the festival. Workers are friendly and even give good advice on what to try or what times are best to avoid crowds. On Sunday after five the crowds died and it was so nice to see the different parts of the park all lit up. We really enjoyed our time and definitely got our steps in.

Great park. Size is good, not so big you’re trekking miles all day, not so small you’re done in two hours. Crowds were very manageable but we went on a weekday. Food choices are a big limited, unless you like burgers and fries. The Fastlane option is expensive but really worth it as it virtually eliminates any waiting for rides. There’s some really cute themes throughout the park and it’s very clean and well organized.
Only complaint is that there largest coaster is currently down and has been since 2022 yet the website didn’t mention that.

We had a great time. It was the perfect day, not too crowded. It was our first time on the Hang Time ride and it was awesome! The only bad thing is that $50 for parking is just ridiculous, not sure we will be back anytime soon with those prices.

Phenomenal! I haven't been here in 30 years and came to take my son who is 3. He loved it. It was hot, it was sunny, but we did the entire camp snoopy, got 4 meet and greet photos, watched one show and did 2 big kid rides. I loved it. It's an adorable park for my son and we stayed for four hours before it was nap time. Lots of shade, lots of space to walk and roam, cute photo ops, great food choices and honestly it was a fabulous time and I hope for him a core memory.

SUPER FUN TIME! first time to Scary Farm and it was so good. The scare, the laughs, the rides, the clowns (good job), the shows ... everything was good.
The parking was a little far but the walk was just the warm up for the night. Starts at 7pm ends at 2am. Never a boring moment! Prices go up the closer it gets to Halloween and online is cheaper! Get your parking online too.

It is really nice. I love all the shops and that you can shop without entering the park. It was neat and clean and so nice! We had a great day at the park!

It's been more than 10yrs since I been here at Knotts. Had trouble with tickets on line would not display the purchase. Showed the young lady at the booth and got management to help and they validated the purchase. A few rides close but still had fun and enjoyed a good meal.

Small but good park with great rides. Went during Boysenberry Festival highly recommend for adults with or without young kids. Lots of booths , get the tasting card for sure or try them all . Really good portion sizes and great flavors.

A great alternative for families on a budget and who hate waiting in long lines. Less action then Disneyland that's for sure. No parades, no real fun atmosphere and no ongoing entertainment. Never saw Charlie Brown or Snoopy. No singers. No dancers. Didn't see any shows going on. The staff is definitely less friendly and actually saw a couple staff personnel yell at customers. I was actually shocked. Everything closes at 6pm and the park is very dark once the sun goes down -- awful night time lighting.
Lots of unhealthy food options, which is a bummer. I'm giving them 4 stars based on the fact that it's way more affordable than their competitors and also for short wait times on most of their rides. But there is definitely room for improvement. Staff should be more friendly and professional and less condescending and rude to customers. They should have better healthy food choices.
They definitely need better forms of entertainment. While waiting in lines all we could hear was boring outdated music from a distance. Should have a light show at night, which would also improve the awful nighttime lighting and increase sales. A Snoopy and gang musical parade, a fireworks show and dressing up the park with lights on trees are just some basic things that would elevate the park tremendously.
The rides were fun, fairly short but some are scary in a good way. My personal fav was finding 4 beautiful baby pigs taking a nap in the barn area (see my photo). The funnel cake was really good and the BBQ Place was decent, loved their corn bread -- a bit pricey but good.

Had such an awesome time even though it was super busy.
Annual pass holder however had two first timers with me and they loved it.
The characters in Ghost Town are amazing at what they do, kept us entertained for a couple hours doing a few chores, deliveries and being thrown in jail… not even DL has this experience and is unique to Knotts!
A theme park for all ages… food could be improved but it’s above average for a theme park, end of the day it’s not a fine dining restaurant.
Roberto Alcaro (ITA80Y) — Google review
Had a lot of fun here! Lots of great rides. Many of the rides we waited 30 min or less for. The Silver Bullet was our favorite. We also enjoy the Sidewinder, River Ride, Jaguar, Coast rider and Hang Time.
There were 5 rides that were closed which was disappointing - especially the Ghost Rider - we were really sad that we couldn't ride that one.
Definitely recommend getting the All Day dining pass and the souvenir cup (purchased separately as drinks were not included in all day dining). You get so much food. We got 2 all day dining passes for our family of 4 and there was plenty of food for us. Little to no wait time for food. Food was all really good too.
The churro sundae was also so amazing! 1 was enough for 4 of us!
The App was a waste of time as the wait times were not updating and we're always wrong.
Lots of walking but overall, I would recommend and would go back again.

Absolutely fantastic theme park, 10/10. They are the first theme park in the entire United States, and they've always been a top dog in coming up with new types of rides and implementing new innovations in them. There is a fantastic variety of rides for both the daredevils and the more laid back people. I would definitely recommend going early, ideally on weekdays, but at least arrive before the doors open at 10am if you're coming on a weekend. Sometimes they will open the front gates and let you enter the front of the theme park at 9:30 but not let anyone walk to rides until 10. Ghost Rider and Silver Bullet are my two favorite rides, and Hang Time or the drop tower might be the scariest rides I've ever been on. Lines for the rides can get up to 2hrs, download their app so you can choose the rides appropriately.
Eric Yang — Google review
Knott's Scary Farm was a fun experience. Our family attended while on vacation and really enjoyed it. The haunted attractions were well done and the actors walking the streets were great! I would recommend skipping the ride lines since they take so long and there isn't enough time to do the rest of the attractions once you've waited for 1-2+ hours for a single roller coaster.
Gerald Gabriel — Google review
If you want thrill rides, this is the place to go. The rides vary from family friendly and fairly tame to some of the most extreme thrills I've ever had at an amusement park. Seriously, intense doesn't even begin to describe some of the more advanced rides. Food is a bit pricey, but to be expected at such a place.
Brian Popelka — Google review
The staff here was not helpful most of the time. You could just tell they wanted no part in being there. The vendors that they brought in were nice. Some of the stuff they were selling was cute and crafty. The wait times for rides was atrocious but the ride line up is good. Some of the coasters don't live up to the hype. The snoopy on ice show was amazingly adorable, and all the boysenberry products were delectable! The chicken to go outside the park was delicious! We went back every visit to take a meal to go. The food in the park was better than most other theme parks we have visited! All in all a nice little gem to go to. Parking is the only thing that can be somewhat confusing, depending on what lots are open that day.

I brought my kids Monday for the Boysenberry festival. I also had my partner who is currently unable to bear weight on his leg due to an injury so we rented an electric wheelchair & they had us go to guest services to get a disability pass so we could bypass the lines and get assistance. Well we were told we would be let on and bypass the wait but whatever the wait time was we would have to wait that time to ride that specific ride again, which was understandable. After about 3 rides, we had someone tell us no we need to wait the wait time to ride any ride throughout the whole park. So I think everyone needs to be on the same page and we need to be informed properly to begin with. The food this year was definitely not as good as last year which was a bummer. I didn't even use up half my tastings I paid for. Like any amusement park it's packed & crowed. People don't know how to move for people in wheelchairs. This is the cheapest theme park in CA so I feel like everyone comes here. The rides are fun, some shops are great. I love the glass blowing. I definitely recommend going during the week. Less annoying kids / people.

Beautiful Amusement Park! It was full of gorgeous Christmas decor. Festive and well-laid out. We visited on December 29; it was super crowded. The lines for the rides, restrooms and food were incredibly long; yet, we had a wonderful time. There were 21 in our group, and we had a blast. The park is ridiculously expensive. Bring your own food, drinks and snacks. They will check your bags thoroughly and take your photo upon entering. The crowds around the Christmas Season are huge; just grin and bear it. Make the most of it. Plenty of paid parking lots...$30 regular fee; $50 for preferred parking. Be ready to spend your $$$$ and have a great time; we did!!

Took the family on a little trip. The park was very clean the lines weren't terribly long and no rides got shut down. Be aware if you don't have a fast pass it can be frustrating. Sometimes they just let the pass holders on the rides leaving the normal line to just wait and if the pass line fills up again they just load them up again. They also don't like to fill up all the seats on a ride for some reason. The food is good but very expensive ($15-$20) as are the drinks so plan on eating and drinking accordingly. You can get water for free or buy all day food and drink passes. The adult beverages are more expensive than a bar or restaurant too. One spot had a single tequila shot for $20, mixed drinks and beers were about $12-$15.

Those who want to sit down and enjoy a good show to those who want to place games and try to win something. Plus with over 15 places to dine, you definitely will find something your stomach is craving. I recommend their famous chicken family meal right outside the park. If you go before December is over they have special holiday menu items, decorations, and carolers. Love some of the seasonal updates that have been made. If you're heading down this Fall/Halloween season you're in for a treat. There are lots of new Fall decorations, along with seasonal food options for Halloween, Fall, as well as Hispanic Heritage month which I think is pretty awesome! They also have some some great food truck options and live entertainment on the Disney stage for Hispanic Heritage month and a free activity for both children and kids at heart. Expect crowds as always, but not too bad. Many of the stores have cute decorations as well as seasonal offerings.

It's been four years since we last visited Downtown Disney. It's a fun area to hang out with the family. We did an 1 hr 15 minutes of bowling at Splitsville Luxury Lanes and we had a lot of fun. They charge $25 dollars a person. Their drinks and food was really good compared to other bowling places. There is a waiting period to get your bowling lanes so we went shopping around to kill time. Grabbed some Starbucks drinks and all was good. The only downside is that there were a lot of people. A bit overcrowded. Oh! Don't forget to validate your parking ticket. If you spend $20 dollars you get 3 free hours of parking or just eat at one of their restaurants validate it and you get 5 hours free parking. Enjoy!

Downtown Disney District is a very fun and entertaining extension of the Disney parks. The crown jewel is probably the world of Disney store which is humongous and has most of all the merchandise that can be found in the Disney parks.
There are tons of neat stores and fun restaurants, one of my favorites is Ralphs Jazz kitchen. Call ahead to find out when they have live jazz music, it’s a great experience. They also have a awesome Star Wars store at the very end of the district that has got tons of Star Wars merchandise.

We went to Downtown Disney in Sept to enjoy the Halloween decorations before it would get busy in October to see them. But the parking is so ridiculous now! For the first hour, you have to pay $10 (whether or not you plan on buying anything from the businesses and restaurants). Then after that initial $10, you need to purchase a minimum of $20 to "validate" an additional 2 hours or so. So altogether, that means you still have to pay a total of at least $30 to spend any decent time in downtown.
$30 would only really be justified for actual theme park parking, such as if you are enjoying the Disneyland and/or California Adventure parks for the entire day.
After we found that out, that's our last time visiting downtown Disney. Unless we get dropped off and then picked up right outside the Downtown Disney district, and we walk to and from the area.
I don't mind the metal detectors because I feel like they are necessary in a lot of public places these days.
But I really think that Disney is getting too greedy. I remember a very long time ago when parking in Downtown Disney was free for 3 hours when it first opened about 20 years ago. Then they scaled that back to 2 hours of free parking. But now, the parking arrangement is ridiculous! What can you really do for the very first hour there? And to make matters unreasonable, you still have to pay $10 for that first hour, regardless of whether or not you buy anything from the restaurants of businesses.
In my opinion, if we purchase a certain amount from the restaurants or businesses there, that should at least be sufficient to validate at least 2 hours of time there.
I think my family and I will look for more reasonably priced ways to enjoy Disney. The Halloween decorations were really nice! But it's not really worth it to go to Downtown Disney anymore if you have to drive and park your car there for ridiculous hourly fees. This really takes the fun out of even enjoying your time there.

The world of Disney is huge so if you're looking for something that you may have missed in the park you might be able to find it here. They have a lovely array of different items from throughout the park and just inside of the store itself. Then there are other shopping opportunities and eateries throughout the whole district it is also connected to the Grand California hotel so if you'd like to go in there and look around or you have reservations to eat it is a good place to go and look around before you go to the hotel.

There's a lot of restaurants to choose from. It's always clean and decorated nicely. I last went during fall, and they have pumpkins everywhere. However, my new favorite detail are the succulent everywhere, espeically the planters hanging from the lamp posts. They're beautiful and drought resistant. I think if they added some string of rubies or bananas to dangle from them, they would be even more beautiful.

Downtown Disney is kind of it's own experience. They have a variety of shops and restaurants and are a good option if you can't make it into the parks to get last minute souvenirs or visit an eatery. They also do shows on stage near the entrance opposite of the one near the entrance to the parks (more near the Disney hotels). It is definitely more of a money sink than an actual Disney experience and you do have to go through security to get in there. Still a nice visit though

After you've explored the park, take a pleasant walk to enjoy some tasty, high-quality food or pick up a couple of meaningful souvenirs.
Plus, you can catch the fireworks from a unique perspective right here!

What a fantastic experience. Downtown Disney is a wonderful experience, neat shops - from the Disney store, to LEGO store, Star Wars Trader post, great restaurants, breweries and more! You wont want to miss a trip down here!

Trendy and Upscale Shopping District with Different types of stores and eateries that caters to general public and Disney Park Visitors. Prepare to shell out top dollars for everything! A short walk from the paid parking area (you get up to 3 hrs of parking for.$10 with Purchase of.over $20 from retailers) . Plenty of things to browse and buy. The Vibe and Ambience are great. !

It was a great experience for any Disney fans but not wanting to go to Disneyland. There are lots of shops, eateries and live performances here.
It was like we experienced first hand what would be like in Disneyland without going into the famous park, and it’s FREE!!! We plan on going to Disneyland next year so this was like a rehearsal :)))
Great experience overall!

At 60+, it was the best experience ever with my Son and his family! Just make sure to rent a scooter ($85 and you get back a refund deposit) for the day i used it from 11 am to 11pm...and still didn't get to see everything!
Awesome experience.

The parking is definitely different from what I remember. It's been a while since last time I visited DT Disney District.
We visited on a Saturday around 5 pm. Parking lot entrance was very busy, but it was moving at a decent pace. $10 for the first hour. We paid $24 for very close to 2 hours.
Make sure you remember where you parked. Easy to lose your car in the parking lot. Outside parking.
There is also a security check line before entering the District. It also move at a decent pace. It took us about 10 minutes to get in.
Inside, nothing has change too much. It was nice today seeing all the Christmas lights on. I recommend eating before or after leaving Downtown Disney. All of the restaurants had a very long line.
We just walked into Starbucks and got some coffee, 20 minutes from start to when we had our coffees, not bad at all.

It's nice and clean. A great outdoor mall. It has several different restaurants and confectioneries. Clothing apperal and toy stores for all things Disney are all over the place of course. There is a must see Lego store there with huge figures. It also contains several flowers, multiple water features and a great walking space.
Disney California Adventure Park is situated in the heart of Anaheim, California and features some of the most innovative attractions on the West Coast. From Cars Land to Pacific Wharf, this amusement park is full of fun and entertainment for all ages. If you're looking for a family-friendly amusement park, Disney California Adventure Park is definitely worth checking out!
We loved California Adventures! They have some great rides, we loved radiator springs! Great place for kids!!! The entire Park smaller in size so there is less walking for little ones. Guardians of the Galaxy was one of favorite rides.

Great experience, more stuff to do for adults in this side and more interaction with the characters. My kids enjoy Disneyland more they are in the 5-6 year old range. Yet they still enjoyed seeing the Marvel characters. Food was cool looking but was not that great, it lack freshness. I will stick with the normal vendors next time. All in all we had a great will definitely visit again since we have the yearly pass. Next time I will take better photos 😂

A Captivating Park You Won't Tire Of!
Avengers Campus, a part of this remarkable park, promises endless excitement. I could easily spend my entire morning there. If you're a Marvel enthusiast, this is an absolute must-visit. The campus features a multitude of rides, with the standout being Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: Breakout. This ride ingeniously transformed the old Tower of Terror into Guardians and is undoubtedly the best attraction in both parks. For any Marvel or Guardians fan, this ride is a must. Even waiting in line is a treat, with plenty of entertainment and props to keep you engaged.
Don't miss out on Cars Land either! The Cars ride sends you zooming around a high-speed circuit, and you'll often spot full-size Cars characters driving around the area. The California section is a delight, featuring the massive roller coaster, 'The Incredicoaster,' a giant Ferris wheel, a picturesque lake, and a variety of delectable food options. I highly recommend trying the mango beer, although be prepared for higher alcohol prices. Grabbing a hot dog on Main Street is also a wise food choice.
We also had the pleasure of dining at 'Lamplight Lounge' on the pier, which is located at water level. We watched the captivating light show from this vantage point, an absolute must-see. We opted for this over the fireworks show. After experiencing both parks (Disneyland Resort and California Adventure), it's evident that California Adventure is the less crowded of the two. There's more space to wander around without feeling the same level of congestion as you might at Disneyland Resort.
Nixon Caparas — Google review
We went on Monday Tuesday and Thursday. I was more pleased with Thursday due to it being less crowded in the parks. The Food and Wine Festival was happening at the same time we went and it did get crowded in some areas, but it was manageable. My sister told me it's better to go on Wednesday or Thursday for less crowds and Sunday is the worst day for crowds.

We are not Annual Pass holders, but we have been visiting Disneyland twice a year since 1973 (except for when the park was closed for the pandemic). Although the prices are higher for everything, it is still a very enjoyable experience. Downtown Disney has new restaurants with excellent food choices. All I can say is "GO" and enjoy yourself!

We enjoy our time here most by going on Soarin’ and the Radiator Springs Racers.
We have the Magic Key so we get to visit as often as we want. But there are some things we’ve noted;
We prefer riding the Radiator Springs Racers at sunset or when it’s dark. The ambiance is more enjoyable, at least for us. Also, we usually pay for Lighting Lane but the last time we tried the single rider lane- just to see if it was worth saving a few bucks.
Of course, your group is separated when you do this but you still get to enjoy the ride. With that said, I still rather pay to sit with my family. But, we did have a conversation with a man who had a big family and he said it’s too expensive for so many people and I have to agree. So, depending on how big your group is and the cost that comes with that- the single rider lane will be much faster than the stand by lane.
I only mentioned our two favorite rides but there’s plenty more to do here.
Also, if you have interests in art I urge you to visit “Off the Page”, it’s a gallery where you can buy some really amazing pieces from some really talented artists (my favorite is Brett Owens). Some pieces are $$$ (mostly canvas) but you can always ask if they have the same piece in print or for even less, as a postcard. There’s so much more to discover here… so check it out!
Enjoy your time here but please visit both parks if possible.

This was a fun place to visit. Our kids enjoyed the rides and the activities.
The Avengers Campus is pretty cool and the Spider-Man ride was a lot of fun.
The Turtle Talk with Crush was really funny for both kids and adults.
Food was readily available everywhere you go.
Ride wait times we crazy, ranging for 30 min - 2+ hours.

DCA!!! My favorite of the two parks!! Slept in til 10am and the lines were CRAZY! Would definitely recommend going closer to 8am. World of color ONE was truly amazing. Everyone in our party loved it and was in complete awe. If you stand in front of the gates by little mermaid and wait it out you’ll get a great view!! And maybe even a little surprise fountain.

The park is fun but waiting in line for an hour and then the ride “ breaks down”makes it a nightmare and a waste of time. Disney of course takes no responsibility and or no compensation is offered to customers for time wasted. Overall the park is great and is well organized, if you don’t buy the lightning pass be ready to wait a list 1 hour in line for any of the rides.
One start for clean bathrooms and some of the employees were really helpful.

There really isn't another theme park out there like a Disney park. They spare no expense, it's so very clean, the staff are all professional and well organized plus there's lots to do. It's crazy expensive from parking to entry to food to merch but our currency exchange sure doesn't do us any favors either. It's an easy place to visit again and again. You really can't knock it until you've tried it.
They had just transitioned to Christmas when we arrived in late November...

Awesome Disney themed park right next to Disney. It's totally worth visiting on a different day than Disneyland.
Many stand with really yummy food, desserts, drinks, wine & beers and cocktails.
Has a bit of a "grown up" vibe but still really fun for the kids.
Don't miss it, worth the extra day and the extra ticket.

Sadly, I found my visit to the Disney Calif. Adventure Park underwhelming.
I've got to say the Incredicoaster was fantastic and ideal for thrill seekers. The Cars-themed area was also really amazing to look at - so, so realistic. All employees we encountered were helpful and enthusiastic and the Disneyland app helps to plan your day, plus there's maps and wait times on there too.
Just like at many other theme parks, expect to spend many hours in lines for rides here, many which turn out not to be worth the wait. Even if you purchase Genie+, you can only choose a lightning lane once every couple of hours, and some rides have a separate lightning lane, which is just wrong when you've already paid extra. We chose to dine in at a cafe here which actually just turned out to be a Starbucks in disguise and was disappointing, though I probably should've looked into it a bit more.
If you're a Disney fan, it's worth a visit. Although maybe you'd prefer Disneyland, which you can walk across to in a few minutes. However, if Disney isn't all that important to you, Universal Studios was a much better experience in my opinion.

Really exciting place to visit. Really clean place, lots of places to eat with very tasty flavours. Lots of rides and roller coasters to choose from. Really busy at night. Not to bad in the morning. I would definitely recommend he king this place if your already going to Disneyland. Cast members once again are super friendly besides at the cars ride.

Honestly, going on a weekday during the school year is the best time to go. We were able to hit all the big ticket rides as soon as the park opened. We didn't see waits of over 30mins until close to 1pm

Truly a magical experience. The entire family had a great time with something fun and exciting for everyone. The biggest challenge to spending the whole day there (we were there 10am to about 10pm) was planning for the right clothing to bring to adjust to the temperature variance. We rented a locker to put extra clothes and snacks, and to put souvenirs so we didn't have to carry purchases around all day. A day at Disney is getting less and less affordable, but we feel it's worth saving up to come here.

We truly enjoyed everything about this park especially guardians of the galaxy! All of the food was excellent and prices were on par it was our second time visiting and wont be our last! Great park for families and movie lovers. Pixar pier, Avengers / Marvel and Cars sections were fantastic! Lots to see, characters walking around for photo ops, it was fantastic. Definitely recommmend getting the Lightning pass due to wait times, some rides had an over an hour wait.
Disneyland Park is a world-famous amusement park located in Anaheim, California. The park features rides, shows, and themed lands from various Disney movies and cartoons. It is one of the most popular attractions in the world and has been operational since 1955.
We had an amazing time going to Disneyland it was an absolutely wonderful time. You can do so much fun stuff at Disneyland and you can eat so many different things There. I loved the rise of the resistance ride it was so fun and there was so much detail to it. I do have a few recommendations. Number 1 is to get genie plus and the app l. It makes your whole experience better. Also if you want to go somewhere like the blue bayou make sure to make a reservation in advance.i think it was like 60 days. Also getting the genie plus gives you access to the lightning lane witch makes the lines go by quicker sometimes so much quicker. I would highly recommend going to Disneyland it is such a fun experience.

There's an undeniable magic to Disneyland. I mean, they literally infuse the smell of homemade cookies on Main Street. There's an atmosphere and vibe that is difficult to replicate anywhere else, especially if you are a fan of Disney's entertainment.
Some personalities may not enjoy the long-line waiting, buying tons of merchandise, and the exorbitant prices of tickets (or food inside the park). Price is a huge thing. Is it worth it? That will be up to the individual to decide. I think if you are going with children aged 6-12 it could be incredibly "magical" to watch them experience Disneyland, enjoy the rides, meet some of their favorite characters, etc. If you are going with only other adults, it may be best to make sure that everybody is a fan of Disney - because otherwise it may provide a lackluster experience and it may be better to go to a roller-coaster focused theme park. If you are going with extended family, hope to the universe that whoever is getting fast-passes for you gets it for a ride you like because you likely don't have much of a say in anything.
Overall, you are going to get your money's worth and have an enjoyable time, for sure. This is Disney's biggest money maker. It brings in more money (the theme parks in general) than basically any other portion of their business, and they own a ton. If you want to go and can afford it, it's worth experiencing at least once in your life - possibly more if you fall in love with it.

This was an amazing experience that we enjoyed in the rain and cold weather, we got the genie app and lightning lanes which helped out immensely. With the app we were able to see real time waits for ride lines couple days before, and schedule accordingly on the days that we were there. You can also search anything, like restrooms and restaurants. We were able to book walk up appointments for some of the restaurants and also mobile order food and coffee at some locations. This was very convenient while managing our time between meals attractions or shows........

We went for one day and tickets cost $164 each. Parking was $30, in which we also purchased ahead of time. Definitely plan ahead. We purchased a week and a half before our trip and although it wasn't the day we originally planned, everything worked out. My teens first Disneyland visit and they had fun. The only downside was waiting in line for the rides. Definitely get the Genie Service, it's only $20 per ticket, which I somehow mistaken the price. We arrived by 9am and waited for parking for about 15 minutes. Then walked towards the tram and did the security clearance [bag check, metal detector]. The tram was quick and they had multiple going at a time, back and forth, so the wait was less than 10 minutes. We were on the Disneyland Park side, so we walked and enjoyed the day there [was there for about 9 hours]. We didn't stay for the parade or fireworks. By the end of the day, the sun was too much. After being there all day, we realized it's better to go just before the sun sets, less sun exposure, shorter lines. Merchandise and food was definitely pricey. We will be back but for California's Adventure.

🎢Avoid Weekends if possible, we went on a Friday, each ride took more than 30 minutes we had a Genie+.
📱 Download the Disneyland App, there’s map on the app. And list of attractions, restaurants, rides etc.
🎟️ Genie+ is a must. Otherwise each ride will take an hour+, it’s worth your money believe me.
💧Stay hydrated. There’s water filling station everywhere, bring your own water bottle.

Crazy as it may seem. Disneyland wasn’t as packed as we expected. The wait times was less than we thought. Most of time waiting for a ride was less than a half hour. Of course the newer rides had longer lines. The earlier you get there the better chances of getting on the rides you like. We especially enjoyed getting on some of the original rides that were there when Disneyland opened. Kind of like Disneyland better than Disney World. A great day out. The only downside are the ticket prices these days.

A great time! It always manages to make you feel like a kid again. The music stays with you but in a very subtle way. If you plan it right you don't have to spend a ton of money once you get in the gate to still have fun. I wish Genie+ was set up a little better, I think Fastpass we were able to do a lot more with. Lots of neat places to just hang out and enjoy.

The happiest place on earth! Absolutely LOVE Disneyland! My family and I usually come here once or twice a year, normally around the holidays for their food. Honestly I've never had a bad experience. It does stay crowded no matter what day of the week you go but I'd think the weekdays would be better than weekends. There's always a bunch of tourists wanting to experience the magic as well.
Prices have skyrocketed every year so expect to pay around $200 during peak seasons for a one park ticket. And food, of course, will also be very pricey. But it's Disney - for some it's a once in a lifetime experience so if you're planning a visit here I'd definitely say indulge yourself and have a great time!
Lines for rides can be a bit long. My family and I usually go on Sundays so it's quite busy then. But if you download the Disney app ahead of time that gives you an estimate of wait times for rides.
You can also order food through the Disney app so you're not waiting in line! It'll give you a notification when your order is ready and you can also pay through the app so it's super convenient.
Highly recommend everyone experience Disneyland at least once in their lifetime!

Amazing experience every time we go. The new Star Wars was better than expected. It felt so real! There’s always a crowd but well worth it! Loved the Star Wars Rise of the Resistance ride, it really felt like entering the Empire’s ship. The smugglers run was also enjoyable. The park was clean and well maintained. Using the app made planning the day easier. We also used the water refill stations throughout the park. Mobile ordering was easy and faster than standing in the line. Overall awesome experience and of course we will be back!

Fantastic place, first time visiting in over a decade. I highly recommend buying tickets, making the reservation, and buying the parking all in advance. If you're just going to Disneyland Park, I recommend parking in the Toy Story parking area. They have a shuttle that comes very often, and it saves you the walking (you'll be walking a lot in the park anyways). Even on a Tuesday the rides were packed and the walkways were FILLED with people. The new Star Wars attraction and the design around that area is absolutely beautiful. It looks like you're actually walking in Star Wars. They even have a life-size millennium falcon next to one of the rides. You should download the app so you can see the wait times by ride, as they update pretty often. Mid September is usually one of the least busy times of the year, and Tuesday is the least busy day of the week. Clearly it was still very packed, so be prepared. I would also recommend packing snacks and food because the food is very expensive inside. It also saves you some time ordering and waiting for food in the long lines.

The Disneyland park is always clean and the cast members are usually nice. The parks were busy when I visited but it's almost always going to be busy. The things they sell are usually overpriced but it is a big tourist stop so it isn't surprising. The rides are fun but lines are super long and you have to pay for lightning lanes and such.

The Star Wars area is definitely the best part imo. Food was not as pricey as I thought it would be, but that mega pizza is definitely not mega size. I would suggest bringing your own lunch if you want to save $$. The rides were all really fun. I think the Lightning pass is worth it, especially if you are trying to do it all in one day! I would also suggest buying gear outside the park (same thing & cheaper).

Always a great time during the Holidays! It is definitely getting to be extremely expensive for a family to go, but it also creates amazing memories for your kids. I really liked the idea of reservations to get in the park as it kept the crowds from becoming too overwhelming. This very short ferry ride over to Balboa Island shouldn't have been of any importance. But stepping on and sitting for just the couple of minutes it takes to cross was somehow very tranquil. And bonuses: since there are multiple ferries running at the same time, we didn't have to wait, and, amidst a day of high prices for everything, getting a ride anywhere for $1.50 made it that much better.

A different experience to enjoy the ferry from Newport beach to Balboa island and vice a versa. You can take the car with you on this ride. It's a 5min ferry but it's fun. I believe they accept only cash and it's $5 if not mistaken. But on busy days there could be a waiting time because each ferry takes only 3-4 vehicles onboard. Staff is friendly. Would definitely recommend to use this if visiting the island.

We had an amazing one day trip to Catalina Island our toddler enjoyed the trip. We are so glad we didn't bring a stroller as it is a hassle to carry and board the ferry. We brought a a duffle bag with our bathing suits towels and clothes for 3 and a backpack with snacks and sodas/water and it was all we needed for our one day trip. They also rent the E-bikes in the ferry for $100 a day and you get priority boarding on the way back. There is a parking structure where you can park until 7pm and get the ticket validated at the Catalina Flyer booth during the week.
Make sure to be ON TIME 9AM AND 4:30PM. They leave on time! Enjoy your trip to Catalina Island! 🏖🏝🛥

Balboa Island is a charming harborside community in Newport Harbor with beach-focused activities, dining and shops. It has an entirely different feel to the bustling metropolis of San Francisco, with its quaint restaurants and chic shops. The island can be reached easily by car or ferry ride and is home to a number of attractions such as museums, galleries, sport fishing and whale-watching cruises.
This a great place for a date or a family outing. We love to walk around the smaller Balboa island and finish it off with a famous Balboa bar ice cream treat (on main street) or eat dinner at one of the many restaurants. There are also some public beaches to enjoy.

Interesting island seems many properties are rentals. Saw many people partying outside their homes and really interesting front yards. Relaxing although parking is super hard.
You can spend an hour here walking through town and see some beautiful sunsets and have a frozen banana dipped in chocolate.

Pros:
🤗 Fun and comfortable place to enjoy with family or a significant other.
🍌🥤 Offers snacks like banana frozens, smoothies, and juices.
🚴♂️🛥 Can rent and ride bicycles or boats.
🎄🚤 Houses and boats are beautifully decorated during the Christmas season, creating a fantastic ambiance.
Cons:
🚗🅿️ Traffic and parking can be very congested, especially on weekends and public holidays. Entering and leaving the island can be time-consuming.
🏝 Due to its small size, the island can be toured quickly.
📸 Criticized for being too touristy.

One of my favorite spots in the OC, and perfect pit stop on any LA to San Diego trip. Get a Balboa Bar or Frozen Banana and take a walk around the little island. Especially pretty at sunset!

Watching multi-millions dollars island homes is one blessing here, but I like even more is the paths around the island providing to the public to stroll. There are so much to explore including sitting by the beachfront watching various of water activities, enjoying blue skies and sunsets. Thanks to the local government and residences that are willing to share this piece of treasure to outsiders. Thank you very much.

Balboa Island is a hidden gem in Orange County that is definitely worth a visit. The island has a charming, small-town feel and there are plenty of great shops, restaurants, and cafes to explore. The atmosphere is relaxing and peaceful, and the views of the harbor are breathtaking. The beach is just a short walk away, and there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities like kayaking and paddleboarding. Overall, Balboa Island is a must-visit location in Orange County for a fun and relaxing day out!

My grandmother grew up here long ago when there was no lights or electricity and long before the ferrie existed. Love this little island and love the peninsula and pier. My girlfriend and I frequent the beach here almost every weekend and I'm never let down

I had a great time here I toured the island on bicycle. The town is very historic and the beach is very long. There are numerous activities on the beach with people playing football, basketball and persons were fishing on the pier. There is parking and public bathrooms. The beach also has a bike trail.

Cool place to hang out for a while!
Parking is always bad here, unless you are really early. BUT, if you type on your GPS “The Crab Cooker” restaurant, there is an inside parking lot right behind it. $15 for 2 hours, plus $2 every 15 minutes after that. Or you can do $50 for the whole day. We chose the 2 hours plus 15 minutes. We paid $19 for 2.5 hours. This parking structure is about a 3 minute walk from the beach!
Then we rented bicycles. $9 for 1 hour or $18 for 3 hours. It was fun just cruising up and down the bike path. But it does get really hectic around all the bars and restaurants area. But it was all cool! With it.
You can also just walk around. At night the restaurants and bar area get really lit! Fun times.

This is an absolutely amazing place. Very beautiful and amazing place to spend your day. The island is second largest in the harbor and it is damn good. Less crowd which makes it one of the few places in Southern California you can visit safely (given covid times). You can play games, enjoy food especially traditional american cuisines, do private boat riding, watch whales and dolphins on a ferry or watch the million dollar houses along the sea line. In case you plan if coming to this place , I feel plan your stay between 5-6 hours. If you are in fishing business, don't forget your fishing 🎣 net.

Terrific place for tourists and locals equally. Lots of restaurants and ice cream joints; a great place to put in your daily steps, especially in wintertime when it gets dark early. Parking on the main street could be a challenge, drive the island streets to find a spot.

Mission San Juan Capistrano is a landmark Spanish mission founded in 1775. The site has been a place of cultural, historical, and religious significance for over 240 years and is home to an impressive collection of artifacts and art. The Mission also organizes events and exhibits that are popular with tourists, including a free audio tour that provides interesting stories about the site's history. Admission to the Mission includes access to the chapel, museum, gardens, and padres quarters among other areas.
So much history to learn. Inside of the mission grounds and exhibits are well taken care of and the exhibits are set up with numbers for an audio tour you take at your own pace. Membership is available. Friendly staff. Variety of items inside shop. If you collect flat pennies there are 2 machines located inside the mission...

I was completely blown away by the beauty and the history of this mission. What also impressed me is that the facility still plays an active role in serving their community, gardening for their food pantry. Missions have a complicated history with the indigenous peoples of the Americas but I noticed that there was special attention taken to acknowledge the sacredness of their culture as well as the Catholic faith. Another interesting part of the mission what the generous donation given by a local Jewish couple to restore some of the artwork. There’s a definite feeling of community beyond one set religion and it provided a welcoming environment for all. Oh, and it’s absolutely beautiful was well. A must see.

Always a great place to visit. Audio tour free with admission. Easy to use device. I've been visiting for probably 50 years and I learned a lot of new info by using the audio tour. New exhibits since the last time I visited. Cute area around mission also with shops and places to eat.

We drove up from San Diego for the day and visited the mission. We were able to find free parking on the street, paid our $18 per person entrance fee, and walked around the grounds. It's beautiful, especially on a sunny day. Lots of beautiful photo spots. We chose not to take the free audio devices - we just followed the map and strolled around for about an hour. There are multiple restrooms inside and a gift shop. They were removing the Christmas decorations the day we visited (January 2), so if you want to see it decorated, go before the New Year.

Was recommended to visit, so I took a trip. I don't think they have a designated parking lot, but the street parking wasn't far, so it was okay. The weather was great, and inside the mansion was pretty enough to visit more than a time. (I got the yearly membership, which was less than two visit's price, and they gave me free fish food, so that my kids can enjoy feeding the bit coy fishes, in two different ponds). I recommend the membership, if you go there! I will definitely go there next time! The town, garden, inside gallery, and historical museums are worth visit.

May just might be the ultimate month to visit. It was not hot or cold and there were millions of things in bloom. As far as the eye could see, there was delight, architecture, butterflies, children, brides and grooms families, beauty. Parking was very challenging, especially with a special needs child and an elder. Plan ahead and find parking before you visit this town. If your elder is not able to walk much, there are benches everywhere. But if it's a hot day, bring an umbrella for shade for this elder. There was people of all ages enjoying this historical site. The staff were fantastic and knowledgeable and very protective of the mission, not even letting the children put their fingers in the koi pond. We appreciate it. This level of commitment. The gift shop is gorgeous and full of wonderful things to bring back to friends and family. The town is full of restaurants but get a reservation ahead of time to save on dragging elders and little children around when they're fatigued. We noticed the street parking was for 5 hours which is probably enough for a family to scout around the mission, which is way too much for little children to take in in one day, but plenty of things to fascinate them at the same time. There is an art gallery inside, there's the soldiers barracks which kids love, there's an active Catholic chapel which deserves quiet, respect and modest clothing, there are the gardens and the ruins and the list goes on. Can't say enough good about this wonderful historical spot. Be sure to get your digital tour that you hang around your neck and listen to as it's very informative and not burden some in terms of length of listening which worked well for the children. Happy family memories are made at San Juan Capistrano.

I recently visited Mission San Juan Capistrano and I have to say, it was a truly magical experience. This landmark is a true gem, with so many amazing things to see and do. The chapel is absolutely stunning and I was in awe of the beautiful artwork and architecture. The museum was also fascinating, with so much history to learn about. And the gardens were simply breathtaking, with so many vibrant colors and beautiful flowers. What a beautiful setting full of History and a great testament to the early Missionaries. There is the new and preservation of the old. Very dedicated personal work at the Mission San Juan Capistrano location. They explain the past very well. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Nice shopping also nearby. Easy access via the train from Los Angeles or San Diego Amtrak or Metro Link.

Beautiful historic site which is explains the history of the Mission in Orange County. Has a beautiful chapel inside. Free audio guide included with admission. Has several exhibitions on different things: treasures, the mission’s operations history, different historic living quarters, etc. there is a gift shop as well that sells various religious things. While the site mentions the Native Americans who built the place, not much else is discussed about them, which is kind of annoying. I wish they would have included more recent scholarships on how the arrival of the Mission from Europe and other places affected the local Native American populations, both the positive and the negative. I also wish they dedicate a section/two of the place for the Native Americans who built this place. Aside from that they have a room on St. Junipero Serra which contains historical info about his life and ministries.

This is a great take to take the family to take the family, and it's easy to spend at least a couple of hours experiencing a piece of California history. This location is famous for the annual return of the swallows on the celebration of St. Joseph on March 19.
Buying tickets in advance is convenient, but if you are active duty military or a veteran, I advise buying tickets in person so you can take advantage of the $1 discount on tickets. Adults are normally $18 for admission as of the time of this review and $10 for youth (5-17). If you are military (active duty or veteran), visiting on certain holidays is free such as Memorial Day, Veterans Day, etc. There are also events such as concerts and civic celebrations that occur all year, so if you are a local to Southern California I would consider getting a membership as you can visit all year for free, and the passes are not linked to an individual, so if you have family or friends visiting, you can have them use the passes as well.
The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and your admission includes an audio tour that consists of a hand set that has recorded descriptions and backgrounds of various locations on the mission grounds. The two large fountains also have koi and smaller guppies. The chapel on the mission grounds is very beautiful for a small worship space, and it is amazing how much history is here. The gift shop is located at the exit and has many religious articles for sale as well as general souvenirs.
Definitely recommended as a place to visit and experience, especially with the family. My 8 year old normally isn't interested about historical locations but thoroughly enjoyed listening to the audio tour descriptions and feeding the koi. Not many places can do that, and any place that does is special.

Visited on St. Joseph's day. This is the day the swallows return to Capistrano. It was also the first day of spring. Program for today included mariachi, school kids, storytellers and more. Beautiful temperate day. Plenty to look at, spring flowers in bloom. In spite of this being one of the busiest days at this mission, there were still places to find a quiet place to reflect. I spotted other artists besides myself, painting on-site. Visited by tourists and locals alike.

If you want to support the conservation efforts of California's rich history, this would be a great stop. I didn't know that there are several of them across the state. This was a lovely stop during our staycation. They did a phenomenal job with the restoration. It's a good source of education for all of us. I loved seeing the kids do their video reports explaining what they have learned during their visit.
I also like the garden and how peaceful it is. They give discounts to Active Duty and Veterans.

High-speed racing venue where visitors can drive or ride along in an authentic NASCAR vehicle.
Went to a race in February of 2023 and it was a fantastic experience. Besides getting in which was just waiting in a long line of cars, the racing experience itself was fantastic. The food options were endless, there was a pretty solid selection of merchandise. It was a very entertaining race and the best part was Kyle Bush (the winner). Definitely sad they’re turning it into a short track, but still happy I was able to see track before the renovations. 10/10

Never go here. Horrendous service with shady last minute cancellations and no refunds. Crazy that a place like this is allowed to operate a business.
The March Field Air Museum is a hidden gem that hosts over 70 historic military aircrafts, including operational jets. The museum offers an extensive collection of treasures to learn from and contemplate, with the planes on display being just the beginning. Visitors can get up close to these massive machines and marvel at their power.
This is a hidden gem. The museum is much larger than I thought it would be and absolutely filled with treasures to learn and reflect upon. The planes out on the flight line are just the tip of the iceberg - and there are a lot of planes to comprehend. The ability to get so close to these massive machines is breathtaking. My favorite exhibit however is tucked in the back corner of the museum - the story of a WWII aviator in his own words by the letters he wrote home. The story starts at his recruitment in Buffalo NY to basic training to his death is the Pacific and to the recovery of his body. Powerful first hand understanding of the War experience. Look for it during your visit. You'll enjoy it too!

What an incredible experience. You don’t have to be aviation fan to enjoy this beautiful museum. Amazing technology created decades ago. You get to see the SR-71A Blackbird the worlds fastest aircraft up close. And the magnificent B-52 which is a monstrous aircraft. A very broad selection of fighter jets. There’s a lot to see at this museum so plan to take your time if you want to fully appreciate world class aviation.

March Field Air Museum was a fantastic surprise for me, as I just happened to be in the area for business. They have several dozen classic military aircraft on display, and many in the process of being restored - I actually got to see a technician working on an F-4 Phantom as well as an F-86. Any military aviation enthusiast will love this facility. It’s a little more rough around the edges than more major air museums, but I loved that about it. You can tell the museum is a passion project for those involved.

Having been to a bunch of aviation museums, including Dayton AFB, the USS Intrepid, and the Smithsonian, I would put this up there as one of the best.
They're very well stocked with tons of cool aircraft, and the staff is really enthusiastic. Plus they're right next to an active airfield with F-35, F-16, F-18, and Predators. I wish I had more time and will definitely be going back next time I'm in the area.

This place is truly a hidden gem, offering more than just the opportunity to see airplanes and artifacts; it provides an unforgettable experience of meeting former pilots such as the great Walter Fus. He shared captivating anecdotes and tales of his journeys, showing us pictures that filled us with pride for our men in uniform and the Air Force. I learned a tremendous amount from listening to him. Witnessing the dedication and effort required to maintain these engineering marvels was eye-opening. Exploring the cabin and being surrounded by controls, switches, and buttons was an exhilarating experience. This place is at the level of the NASA Visitor Center in Florida. Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to bring your family and friends along and take advantage of this fantastic place where you'll create great memories that you and your family will cherish forever.

If you live in socal, you owe it to yourself to visit March Field Air Museum and learn some history about such an important location that's been the home to some of the most famous aircraft in history. To live so close to such a historic place, it'd be a disrespect to our veterans and currently serving men and women not to visit. One of the coolest museums that I've ever been to where you can be within breathing distance of some of these iconic aircrafts. Oh and before I forget, yes they have dessert and they serve that as soon as you walk in in the form of the SR-71 Blackbird and it is magnificent.

Awesome. Awesome. Awesome! So glad I made the drive down here. Worth the traffic. Parking is easy and the museum has plenty of air conditioned indoor space. It can get very hot and, other than under wings, there is little shade in the outside areas. This whole facility is way more than I expected it to be. A huge selection of aircraft, vehicles, uniforms, and much more. Covers all the major conflicts, space, and civilian aviation. The inclusion of memorabilia from other nations is a really nice touch as well. On par with the Air Force museum in Dayton, OH.

From my point of view, this air museum is one of the best among similar establishments in Southern California. It has a vast collection of military aircraft, including WWII and decades of the Cold War. My favorite airplane at this museum is SR-71. It was a unique reconnaissance aircraft capable of cruising for hours three times faster than the speed of sound. It carried incredibly sofisticated photo cameras and various advanced sensors. Visitors can see this amazing airplane from a close distance and even take a look inside of its two cockpits. There is a nice gift shop inside the museum. The museum's personnel is very friendly and knowledgeable. They also have many volunteers who are happy to answer any questions. It's a really nice place for any aviation and history buff.

March Field Air Museum is one of the larger museums that I have visited. There are quite a few.modern warbirds. Sadly most are in terrible condition. The paint is peeling, wind screens are cloudy and many have flat tires. I would rather see preservative plastic on the glass than what I saw. When you can see the cockpits, they are in a decaying state.
It would be wonderful if someone could clean up the interiors.
Not a lot of prop driven planes, mostly jets.
I did enjoy watching KC-135's doing touch and goes. Plus a pair of F-16s took off, that fun watching.
March Air Museum is a great teaching location. Children will learn about military aviation throughout history.

Awesome museum! Super friendly people. Love the exhibits up close and free to touch most of them. Hands-on experience on may exhibits. Super Awesome flight simulators are free to use. Bring your good walking shoes. You'll need them outside for their extensive collections of well maintained military aircrafts. If you don't feel like walking, that's okay. They offer a guided tour where they do all the driving and will stop at every aircraft and give you an excellent description of every aircraft.

The Old Town Temecula Community Theater is a state-of-the-art performing arts theater that features both a 354-seat proscenium theater and a small 48-seat black box space perfect for intimate music performances. The venue offers stunning live entertainment from top artists, making it a must see for any visitor to the area.
Every seat in the house is good to go! The seats may be tight for those with a girth. We've been to a few plays and concerts here and have enjoyed each one. The folks who work there are top notch. And they have a snack bar outside the theater that also sells beer and wine if interested, should you choose to arrive early and relax on the spacious patio.

HIGH-QUALITY PERFORMANCES! The Old Town Temecula Community Theater is outstanding! Each event I’ve attended here has been fun and enjoyable. I’ve seen play productions, concerts, and recently the Annual Jazz Festival! The seats are SO comfortable here and there’s plenty of ramps for disabled guests. The volunteers and staff are very welcoming and helpful. The venue is intimate which allows each seat to provide a great view! The theater seats have a lot of leg room. There’s upstairs seating, but it’s limited. You can also find a small balcony section on each upper side of the theater, however, they’re also limited in space. Most seats will be found at the bottom level. The theater’s box office can be found in the neighboring venue, The Merc. Additionally, the theater has a set of restrooms across from it and a snack shop that has wine, soda. candy and other goodies. The venue is family friendly and has a great atmosphere. Being in the heart of Old Town Temecula, one has several food options before and after an event as there’s many restaurants and bars nearby! I have an appreciation for this theater as they really reach out to the community and tickets aren’t overpriced!

Small venue, but that is a good thing. We sat in the balcony. Interestingly, the balcony is just one row of seats. That makes egress and access difficult. But the center seats in the balcony have the best view, so tripping over your neighbors is worth it!

Most wonderful Theater. Such a jewel and enrichment for the community. Great selections of shows as well!

We always have a good time at the theater. It's always clean, and the staff is helpful. Ticket prices are reasonable, my only complaint is the cost of parking.

We saw the Makaha Sons on Wednesday the 27th. Purchased tickets in January and surprised that 2nd row seats were available. Amazing seats and atmosphere. The acoustics were excellent as were the band and hula dancers. Looking forward to their return next year as well as other future performances.

A must see when you're in town. Lots of restored old buildings, food options (try Goat and Vine restaurant) and shops. Make sure to also go down the side streets as there are other shops around that are worth visiting. Lastly, there's a public parking about 2 blocks up away from the main street that helps avoid competing in finding parking.

Great venue, not a bad seat in the house. The place has the feel of a Broadway theater, with a gorgeous outdoor courtyard serving as a lobby. Saw the Andrew Lloyd Webber spectacular and it was a great tribute to the composer! Thoroughly enjoyed it!
Wilson Creek Winery is a sparkling wine winery that offers play areas, a restaurant, and live music. The wines are made with almonds and the winery has won awards for its almond Champagne.
Beautiful winery the grounds are amazing. The watermelon wine is so good and smooth. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

It was my 1st time, we left late but I had a good time. The grounds are kept nice and so was the restrooms. The white and sparkling wine was the best, the one red that I tried not sweet enough. They need a better and or bigger food selection. The staff is very pleasant, friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. This place is a beautiful picturesque place I will visit again.

We frequent the wineries of this area often. We are members at a few different wineries but not here yet but we have friends that are so we end up here often.
We have attended special events here as well. The family story is great and you should ask or read while there.
This is a nice spacious area with lots of gathering places. They usually have live music on weekends but it tends to get very crowded. Not a fan of crowds. They are very popular but their wine just doesn’t do it for me. Though I do love their peach champagne.
We will be back because we enjoy time with our friends but expect a crowd on weekends. And with a crowd comes lots of different types of people. That is fine and good but come on guys put on something other than your best NASCAR t shirt and ball cap. Look good for your girl and like your somewhere special with someone special. 😍

We just got married in March of 2023! Rose, the event coordinator, is organized, communicative, and flexible. She really helped us meet our financial goals while making sure that WCW was going to be set up the way we wanted. She also made us feel right at home when we came and was generous with her time. The staff were supportive and helpful, genuinely excited for us and our big day. The venue was gorgeous even in a non-leafy season, and the ready rooms were perfect. There were plenty of places for exquisite photographs as well. The food was flavorful with good variety, and of course, the selection of wines was delicious. Our only complaint would be the cake was served a bit late and most of our guests did not get cake but we believe it was due to a communication error. They were generous with complimentary amenities and worked well as a team to execute a beautiful wedding day!

This place is full of love and care for its visitors. Fantastic wine, food and service. I would not hesitate to recommend Wilson Creek. There is a very upbeat positive vibe across the property. We loved the helpful recommendations and especially lived the sparkling wines. Thank you for a memorable day!

Great place to visit. We took a winery tour led by 'Motor City' Mike, who was both a knowledgeable guide and a great singer! It was interesting to learn about the winery's history and wine production process. We tasted many different wines, all good. The restaurant food was good too, and our server was friendly. They even gave us a free dessert. The atmosphere on a Sunday was great!

Wilson Creek is an excellent winery. Their selection is great. The servers know their wines and can offer great information on what to choose. They also know how to mix a few wines together, to give you an incredible drink. The seating area is large and clean. The vineyards are easily accessible and you can walk through them, while actually picking some of the grapes of the vine, to taste.
They have a restaurant that offers good food but in my opinion, is too costly for what they serve.
But if you're looking for a great winery to spend a day at, this is the one.

We came for a wine tasting, which was fantastic.
We decided to hang out in the outdoor area, which was beautiful. We took advantage of the bar and grill and purchased a bottle of the Rosé and a charcuterie box. The wine was delicious, unfortunately the charcuterie box, when we eventually got it, was very disappointing. Once we paid, we waited by the bar, since nobody communicated to us where we would pick up our order. After about 20 minutes, we asked, someone explained that the food would be under the umbrella, we then moved to that location, the gentleman (same one that had rung us up), asked us what we were waiting for, which he then said that “maybe” the box on the counter was our order. Pictured is what you get for 20something dollars.
I would definitely come again for the wine, but definitely skip eating at the bar and grill.

Came here on Easter weekend and it was fabulous! We tried the new Coconut Nui Champagne and the watermelon champagne- they are to die for!!
Tastings are definitely worth it as you get to try 6 different wines.
We had some pizza and a chicken sandwich from the grill.
We also enjoyed an alcoholic slushy- which was peach Bellini flavored that day with a sangria float. 🤤🤤.
Definitely recommend this place for a fun tasting.

Lovely rustic atmosphere. Excellent food. Inspirational wine.
Stopped in with family to enjoy lunch and wines. Had a Reuben sandwich with a glass of their Barbera. Spacious venues throughout, allowing for a casual tasting with friends or a formal occasion.

This is a really beautiful winery. Michael gave the best tour that I've experienced in years. He shared the stories of how the Wilson family started the business here and introduced many interesting aspects of vines, grapes, and wine-making. My little kids enjoyed it very much. Highly recommended for families.

Huge space! it was a weekend we visited and was packed! Beautiful outdoor space. The shuttles around the parking lot was nice service and they were friendly. Shops and bar service was kind of slow (it was busy so understanding) and mostly go get your own style so if you plan to spend ALL day there without time limitation, it will be a nice slow fun day.

Wilson Creek Winery is truly a picturesque destination. Its welcoming ambiance invites guests to mingle while enjoying wine tasting at the counter. Additionally, there's a separate restaurant on-site. While we didn't have the chance to experience the wine tasting or restaurant firsthand, our review is based solely on the inviting atmosphere and scenic environment of the winery.

We had a reservation for the Library room and had a fantastic time which was due to one person...Sarah. From the moment we arrived Sarah was happy to help us and made us feel welcomed. After Sarah got us settled at our table she did an excellent job at explaining the wines and guiding us through our tasting. While we had our favorites, we liked all of the wines we tasted. Throughout the entire time Sarah's energy matched ours and she was knowledgeable, attentive, fun, helpful, caring, and overall a joyful person. I definitely recommend this winery and look forward to my next visit. Thank you, Sarah!!

A beautiful spot for wine and relaxation. Even a hot day you can misters, cool wine, great view of the vineyards, and a relaxing setting. Some weekends they have great music and other weekends it’s just mellow music.
Highly recommended if you enjoy wine! Their tasting samples are great plus the price is far cheaper then elsewhere. They also have delicious cocktail combinations.
Their tours are well thought out, quite educational, and tell a great story of history and taste. Check them out! You can’t go wrong at Wilson creek!

Definitely worth the trip to the far reaches of Temecula's wine country. If for nothing else, then to sample their star-studded lineup of flavored sparkling wines. There's not a bad flavor among the 8-10 different bottles. The employees were very nice and friendly, and the lead bartender at our bar was very knowledgeable. Beware, this place is so popular it fills up quickly. I recommend you make this the first stop on your tour of the wine country.

We have been members of this beautiful winery for a few years. Even though this is a busy winery, we feel important. The service is always excellent, the music good, the food good, the atmosphere good. The wines are excellent and their bubbles, oh my, perfect for summer and celebrations. My favorite is the Peach Bellini. Hubby loves the creative concoctions prepared by the staff, who mix the various sparkling wine flavors.
Seating areas throughout the beautiful grounds allow for group gatherings or intimate chats.
Rosie Wilson, one of the founders, who is in her 90s, always makes an appearance at every special event and mingles. This is so special.

We got lost on the way there with our limo driver. We ended up stuck on a dirt road. Be careful. I seen a paved parking lot and the main road once we arrived so you don't need to be on a dirt road at anytime. Anyhow.. the winery itself was fine and the service was great. The wine tour was ok too. The wine tasting itself was good as well, although I felt they should have provided something to clear the palette to help distinguish the wines in between tasting. I would return.
I must mention the food which was on point!

Got attacked by a drunk individual and the security and staff basically did nothing. When I retaliated, we got asked to leave even though everyone around us vouched for us and informed the staff that the others involved have already been starting fights with others and we were not to blame. I asked to speak to the manager and their response was to ask us to sit down to de-escalate the situation and they disappeared. Customer service is nonexistent and wine is at best gas station quality.

Beautiful winery with great service. Our group came on a really packed Saturday, and as busy as it was, the service was 5 stars. We really loved the wine tasting experience here and the ambiance was really great! There was something for everyone, we enjoyed being upstairs for the tasting and chatting with staff as well as the more lively crowd downstairs, and then still the kiddos have a play area downstairs by the creek. Food was ok, but the slushie was stellar. If you get a chance, go!

I had a wonderful time visiting this boutique winery! It was a lovely day and the atmosphere was festive! While sampling wines we got a visit from Santa!
The staff were friendly and helpful during our wine tasting!
The parking lot was huge, but there was a cart that came through to take you from your car to the front entrance of the winery!
Wonderful memories were made during this visit!

We did not stay at the hotel. We went to their wine tasting at the winery. Unfortunately, we found their white wines, including the chardonnay, to be overly sweet. We sampled two of their red wines but found them to be undrinkable. Despite this, we appreciated their charming shop and the friendly, albeit busy server.

Big Bear Lake, a small city in Southern California, is nestled on the shores of the picturesque Big Bear Lake and surrounded by the rugged San Bernardino National Forest. It's a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts with its Bear Mountain and Snow Summit ski resorts, as well as its mountain trails. The town offers a charming village with boutiques, gift shops, and restaurants. The area's stunning landscapes have made it a sought-after filming location for Hollywood producers.

This place has all the fancy stores and the not-so-fancy stores. There are so many options but very few directories. They attempted to make this sign (in picture) a directory but it’s so vague. You’ll end up walking around for hours so prepare yourself. The people in this mall are very uppity. I’m sure that most are tourists or vacationers but a lot of them have a stick up their ends. The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is a rotating tram car that takes visitors up to the San Jacinto Mountains. It offers an escape from the summer heat, with multiple restaurants and observation decks. Passes are available now, and it is open from mid-March to early November.
It is best to plan your adventure on the tramway a month in advance. Get your tickets online - including a parking pass. We got there at 11 AM and I would not get there earlier because it is much cooler up at elevation than it is down in the valley.
The tramway app boasts of maps and more, but it was no use up on the mountain.
The lift facility is world class. The staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. There is a nice deck with a small hike at the mountain house. There is a reasonable lunch spot in the mountain house.
We did the overlook/notch hike and I definitely suggest that unless you have young children or someone in your crew who has mobility issues.
There is a hike to the peak, but it is a 12 mile loop with a 2,000 foot elevation gain and it was all snowed in over spring break. No thanks.
Overall, this is a great and very distinctive experience that I strongly recommend.

First time here. Amazing views. A great hiking trail at the back end of the top. The temperature difference is a good 40*F between the bottom and the top, so prepare accordingly if you're going to be hiking.
The Ride & Dine pass is definitely worth it. Otherwise, you have different options for food as there are two other restaurants available.
Oh, and bring quarters to use the telescopes! I wish I had known that.

What an incredible experience! Absolutely breathtaking vistas surrounded by the gorgeous scenic mountains. At the peak of the mountain is stunning. I just love the view from way up there. It can get a little busy waiting for the team to take you in either direction, but once you get to the top, there's a beautiful hiking trail to conquer before heading back down. I am looking forward to coming back in the near future, especially in the winter.

Come when it raining/ snowing. It's amazing and fun.
Cost $30.95 per person round trip (no reservation)
Arrived 11 am, there was a line, bought tickets at 12 pm and waited 1.5 hours for the 1:44 pm slot.
There is a little park/dirt area with benches at the back (past the cafe), gift shop, and cafe.
Small nature trail view hike is 0.75 miles round trip.
Opens 10 am
There is three floors when you arrive at the top of tram.
You exit at the bottom floor to get to the hike.
People brought sleds but didn't see anyone using it.
Didn't buy tickets ahead of time, arrived at 11 am , parking lots go from A to J.
Was slotted for parking H.
If you coming in January, bring winter jackets and proper shoes. Shoes will get wet and it's cold.
Family friendly, fun to experience.

One of my favorite places to visit for some snow! Honestly, it’s a bit better than going all the way to Big Bear. It’s just more convenient. I went on March and we got to see lots of snow!!!! It was snowing as well!!! So beautiful. As for tickets, online might say their sold out but if you arrive early when they open which is at 10:00am, they sell some tickets until they sell out so make sure to get there early.

It gets pretty packed in the weekends but a definite must for first time Palm Springs visitors. The views are incredible from the top. Things I wish I had known before going:
There are a few hiking trails up there. Bring appropriate shoes as they are very rocky.
It's a nice place to enjoy a picnic if you bring your own food.
Bring a mask if you're uncomfortable being in very close proximity to people while riding up. Tram cars are standing room only and the next person is less than a foot away.
There is a 20-30 degree difference in temperature, so bring a jacket. It wasn't too bad in late April. I can imagine it's pretty windy and chilly in the winter.
Hope this helps.

Loved the experience! The staff is very friendly, polite and knowledgeable. Would recommend getting there around 7:30-8am if you do not have tickets and need to buy them for the morning. The revolving tram was fun and our little toddler loved it! The view was amazing. We didn't get to venture out into the play area as it was extremely windy for us. We love snow so enjoyed getting to touch it a bit. Will certainly be back in spring to enjoy what else there is to explore.

Would love to rate this better. That actual tram experience was great. Fabulous staff member and great musical descent coming back in dark (recommend). We booked the tram and dine evening with our two kids. Had a lovely tram ride up, walk around. The film about the tramway was over 20 years old and really needed updating.
However, the food in the Pines cafe (including in our ticket) would warrant a 1/5. The service similar. Menu sounded nice but in reality had been sat there for a while. My unfussy 7 year old turned his nose up after trying. The corn on the cob has been in liquid for hours and was revolting. The bread was stale. My beef was inedible. The soda drinks tasted like pipe cleaner. The best bit was the basic salad. Really disappointed.
Would not recommend booking the package.

This was our first visit back to the tramway since before the pandemic. We decided to do the ride and dine ticket, which is a great value. The views were fantastic, and we took a short hike in the state park at the top before dinner. Also watched the restored movie of the original tram, The Miracle of Palm Springs. This was our first time taking a return trip at night - we could see the lights of all the desert cities. Overall, it was a great experience.

It was a nice trip. I paid for $15 entrance fee (or parking lot fee) and $31 for the tram ticket.
The best thing of the trip was that I could see Palm Springs city from 8,500 ft above.
The bad thing was that each tram was super crowded. They tried to arrange few dozens of people into a small round tram. Surrounded by tall people prevented short people like me from seeing the landscape outside (even the floor of the tram could rotate 360 degrees).

This tram is such an awesome experience. My other favorite is at Snowbird in Utah; but that tram does not rotate like this tram. The rotating tram gives you a great view up and down this mountain. Don't worry about the rotating floor. It's slow and smooth. At the top of the tram is the Mountain Station which has food and beverage service; including a bar. There is only one negative about the experience and that's the cost of food and beverages. Just like sporting events and amusement parks, this place charges way too much for food and beverage. A small bottle of water is almost $5 and soda/pop is the same. There's a museum type thing on the lower level and food is on the upper level. If you exit on the back side there are trails to walk and hike. It's $12 to park so be prepared to pay. Other than that folks, enjoy an awesome day and get out of the desert heat 🇺🇸

Highly recommend!! Make sure to buy your tickets online including parking pass and print them-this part saved us a lot of time. We went on a VERY hot day in Palm Springs. The tram ride was crowded, but it rotates so everyone gets a good view at some point. The tram itself is not air conditioned, but the windows open and it moves right along, so you get pretty good airflow - it only took about 10 minutes. We went up at 4:00 and bought the "Ride and Dine" package, which was a great deal. It was at least 35 degrees cooler at the top. Ate dinner early-limited menu but food was fine. Then we looked around the multi-level building with multiple balconies and picked a place to watch the sun go down. We stayed until after sunset and watched the l8ghts of Palm Springs start to twinkle. We rode the tram down about 8:15 and got an even better view of the lights. I really recommend a similar schedule...it was a really magical evening!

Awesome trip on the Aerial Tram from 2,643 feet all the way up to 8,516 feet. The tram ride is a quick 10 minute ride up with trams scheduled every 20 minutes up and down from 10 am until 8 pm. Great way to end the day on top of the mountain with a cold beer in hand!

Very scenic ride. The tram can feel pretty crowded on a busy day. I rode the tram back down when the crowd was a bit smaller (before sunset) and I enjoyed the ride a bit more that way. The hiking trails at the top are beautiful and I enjoyed the hike. My father, son, and I went during the 1st week of April and got there around 11am. The wait was already 2.5 hrs by 11am. Probably best to go earlier.

What a cool experience and a must do if you visit Palm Springs. Make sure you pack accordingly because it is a severely different temperature at the top.
We got to hike though fresh snow which was a magical experience after leaving the desert floor.
Don’t be discouraged if the wait time
Is long. There is a gift shop, food, drinks, and some beautiful spots outside to spend your time while you wait on your boarding group.
We got to there at about 7:40 on a Saturday morning to no car line wait and were able to purchase tickets for the first 8:00 tram up to the top. If you want to avoid crowds I’d suggest the earlier time on the weekends instead of the 10:00 tram during the week. You could also do the after 4pm passes which sounded nice, and look out at the lights of the city as the sun sets.
My husband and I had a great experience and would totally go back for our next visit to Palm Springs.

We didn't get tickets in advance and had to wait approx 2 hours to go up but it was totally worth it! The ride up/down itself is very cool with great views. Then up top there's a beautiful forest! Made me feel like I wasn't even in California. Remember to bring warm clothes though as it's cold up top! We ate at the restaurant (Peaks) for lunch which had a very impressive view and had reasonable lunch prices all things considered.

Fun ride up & back, great views and with rotating cars you get to see from all angles. We had 1pm tickets on a Thursday, slower day so parking and getting around was easy. Bus picks up & returns at parking lot (F at least). The snow fall makes the top a winter haven. We didn’t purchase pictures taken (think $35 for 2 + digital access is package + add ons if you want) Worth the $30/ea + $15 parking to see.

Awesome experience to go 8,000 feet from desert level up into the mountains in a slow spinning tram! There can be a bit of a wait on peak days/times but there are cute little trails behind the tram station, a place to eat, a little waterfall and an aerial tram viewing deck. Up on the mountain side, there is a steep path to go down and explore, if so desired, as well as a visitor center and a restaurant. Definitely an experience I recommend!
The Palm Springs Art Museum is a prestigious heritage-rich museum that features world-renowned artworks from different periods and genres. The permanent collection of the Palm Springs Art Museum is diverse and includes pieces by some of the most famous masters in the history of art.
I went on a Sunday, and they were having an issue with their ticketing system so they let me in for free, a fun surprise, and thank you. Peaceful inside, exhibits on display are timely and interesting. Dwayne Hansen‘s Old Couple on a Bench was particularly well done and disturbing… At least for me. When I walked around the corner I thought this older couple was just tired and sitting, looking forward and disconnected from each other. As I stepped closer I realized that they weren’t real. Hansen captured an older couple so bored and disconnected, seemingly unfulfilled and out of time, out of shape, from what I gather neither having found passion… it made me cry because it captured an incredibly real fear of mine. To get to that stage of my life not having realized dreams or passion with intensity sounds too horrible to bear, and I found that I just couldn’t look at the older couple for the rest of my time in the museum.
I’d like to spend at least one other afternoon at this museum reading through the exhibits again. I was in such a bad place after looking at the older couple that I didn’t appreciate some of the other lighter works.

An incredible variety of beautiful art. The permanent Pure, Simple, and Beautiful Forms: Glass Collection is a must see. Stunning colours and visually appealing. Lawrence Schiller’s the 60s images captured so well that takes you back in time. Museum has a cafe which is nicely tucked in surrounding art everywhere. A must visit museum.

Love all the temporary and permanent installments of the museum. When we visited, they had a lot of Mexican artists and a couple ancient Mexican tribe prices, specifically Olmec. The staff here are simply amazing, helpful and knowledgeable. We will definitely visit again next time we’re in PS.

Very nice art museum nestled on the back side of the downtown park. Three levels, with a large variety of mediums and artists - from glass work to modern pieces to much older oil on canvas style paintings. Would recommend if you’re in the area and looking to get out of the sun for an hour!

In Palm Springs for a few days & my last it was 107°. Looking for things to do inside and this was a great choice. Looks smaller in the pics but was actually bigger than I thought. So glad I checked it out. I was there 90 mins and could've been there way longer very easily. 4 floors, highly recommend.

This museum is a more modern art museum. So don't assume that you'll find any classical pieces. While I am not a big modern art person - this was a fascinating place to visit. On thursdays you can get free tickets from 4-6 pm. Go onto website and order them to simplify your life. They also have 2 sculpture gardens located downstairs. And there are 2 exhibition halls for rotating exhibits. Well worth the trip. And it is located across from the Marilyn Monroe statue

Cute tittle museum. It won’t overwhelm you but it will satisfy you. They have beautiful art and always changing their displays. Very well kept.
Their bistro was closed though so we didn’t get to enjoy that part of it
I don’t remember the dates but they do close it during some months in the year so call before you go. It cost us $28 to enter. $14 per adult
My children ages 10 and 12 were free.
Go and enjoy some art and get out of the heat :)

This was a nice way to spend some time looking at some art in downtown Palm Springs. There are three floors of installations, and a theatre in the basement for moving showings they have.
We went on a Thursday evening when they offer free admission. Book those entry tickets in advance!

Came on a weekday before 6pm because it is free! This museum is was extremely awesome! Actually exceeded my expectation and had a nice time walking around the museum and seeing all the pieces. Spent about an hour at this place and was not disappointed at all. They had more things downstairs, but I completely missed it and only realized once we left.

The Palm Springs Art Museum in its Architect and Design Building have a small but beautiful building. The exhibit was worth visiting but the high point is the shop with design items and a specialized bookstore with the best selection I’ve seen of modernism and mid century modern. A must visit!

Great museum with a diverse mix of art and artists. $16 ticket entry for adults is definitely worth it to see some great artists (Bourgeois, Picasso, Calder, Gilliam, Frankenthaller & many more!)

I feel that The Art Museum is truly the heart of Palm Springs. Tucked against those awesome mountains and surrounded by Palm Trees in that absolutely precious little park with a water feature and chairs every where. The ambience is always changing with the Art exibitions just across the street.

Has 3 levels, including a lower level and an outside sculpture garden. Stairs and elevators available. It’s kinda quiet and echo-y and there are some delicate pieces, like the glass sculptures, so probably not the best or most interesting experience for very young children, but I saw a few families while there. There are a few bathrooms available including an all gender restroom on the main floor. A great and contemplative afternoon, especially if you want a softer experience after shopping and walking all day.

The modern art shines at this jewel in the desert. Visitors are "greeted" outside by a several stories tall sculpture of Marilyn Monroe. Inside the collection spans modern, native American, glass, and photography.. There is a cafe with adjoining sculpture garden for outdoor dining. The 1968 Chevy Malibu suspended vertically above the ground is thought provoking.

Well worth the trip!!! I have been a local resident here in the desert since 2001 and have never come to an exhibit at the museum. I happen to see one of the artists speak at an event and it inspired me to take my family to the museum. My kids are between 8 and 13 so going to a museum can be dubious but I was willing to take a chance with the LIGHT and CHANGE exhibit and it paid off. My whole family loved it and we highly recommend it.

This is a fun museum, the exhibits are clever and exciting, not stuffy at all. Summer nights open free after 5 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They bring out a dj and music pumping. Gift store had amazing ingenious little pieces of art to take home in bags and vases and just gorgeous things.

Really interesting exhibits I loved the diversity of the different pieces and I discovered that my interest is now more in 3D pieces than painting. I would recommend a visit.
Just as an aside, the restaurant was closed which was an inconvenience as I struggle with my mobility and sitting down with a drink would have been great. Also I thought that the gift shop was very overpriced.

Very interesting pieces at this museum that I have never seen before. I enjoyed the layout, cleanliness, and beauty of this facility. I don't want to give too much away, but it's definitely worth driving to. You'll discover three floors of beautiful art pieces. Enjoy your time there.

We came to visit the museum during free admission hours so it was very crowded, but I still enjoyed it thoroughly. The museum had beverages including wine and beer, alongside of a small service of snacks available for a fee.
The museum has an exceptional layout making it easy for you to view all of the artwork. Even if the museum is busy. We particularly enjoyed the Picasso exhibit that was here when we were here.
The museum is a very easy short walk from downtown Palm springs where there is a variety of restaurants and activities. And the plaza between the museum and downtown includes a massive sculpture of Marilyn Monroe. That's a great photo opportunity.

Explored the Palm Springs Art Museum recently. Used to think contemporary art wasn't my thing, but some pieces left a lasting impression. While not every exhibit resonated with me, I hope that in this museum, everyone can discover something that speaks to them. 🎨✨

I highly recommend this Art Museum. Thursday nights are free for entry. It was such a nice and expierence. The staff was very helpful and full of knowledge. It was 2 levels not counting the exterior areas. There was music playing outside and drinks/bites to enjoy. There was such a mixture of generas, eras and perceptions of art that challeneged my mind to think outside the box!

I really really enjoyed it here. The Piassco painting is awesome. The 2nd and 3rd levels show various art pictures. A great time to spend a few hours looking the world through others' eyes and art forms.
Villagefest Main Office Palm Springs is a popular weekly event that takes place every Thursday night, where the street is closed to traffic and filled with vendor booths showcasing local businesses. Visitors can enjoy strolling through the traffic-free event, sampling food, exploring art, and enjoying live music. The fair offers a wide variety of authentic handmade arts and crafts for sale. Many visitors highly recommend this lively and enjoyable evening activity in Palm Springs, featuring great food and shopping opportunities for everyone.
I still love it, been here for many years and moved out of state but every time I am around I go to this nice ambience fest. I enjoy the walk, the art, the vendors that sell authentic art, nothing here is fake it is all handmade and artistic and I love that. If you want to have a nice walk and enjoy art as much as I do, go and enjoy the evening every Thursday from 6-10pm.

This place is a RIP off... they charged my kids the same price for 2 different tattoos.. one kid had 2 small turtles and the other had both hands done... they were both bad , quickly done didnt look anything like the pic they showed. wouldn't re-do or give the money back... live the street fair but I will never go back to the henna place and do not recommend anyone to go there unless they have the gentleman do the work.

Awesome street fair in Palm Springs! Every Thursday locals gather to showcase their businesses. Food, art, music, and much more as you walk down the street. Vendors are offering free samples and the food is impressive. We purchased mini donuts which were heavenly. We also got clam chowder that was prefect for the chilly evening! Going back next week to try more foods!

Not the office, Villagefest itself. No longer glamorous, Palm Springs is no longer interesting, mostly just hucksters trying to pawn off clip art as originals for $500-$9000 and other junk sellers. A few bright lights among the (some awful) live musicians: the wonderful sounding Native man playing wood flutes, etc. Buy a CD. How do you find downtown Palm Springs? It's where the Walgreens and Motel 6's get closer together. But seriously, if you're not over 80 you probably don't want to be here (and probably if you're 80+ as well).

The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens is a large zoo located in Palm Desert outside of Los Angeles. It features a variety of animals from around the world, including desert-adapted species. The zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, making it one of only a few in the world to receive this honor.
A wonderful visit in March of 2022. I would love to come back to see the lanterns at night! They were still very beautiful and fun in the daylight. The kids all loved them and I think it made it a bit more exciting for them! We went early so all the animals were moving around and eating breakfast. Truly wonderful experience.

Went during the very popular "Glow in the Park" event. They did a great job at having everything setup and managing the crowds. It might be a "zoo" but it has more of an animal sanctuary type feel with lots of large open spaces. Still we were able to see all the wildlife and was much closer to a cheetah and hyena then I'd ever been before. It's not that big and you can easily see everything in a few hours and not feel rushed. They also do a good job of keeping the walkways shaded. Aside from that the staff was friendly, the paths and eating areas were immaculate and very well maintained. Despite it being crowded there were no lines to enter, plenty of parking, and the lines to get food were short as well.
Well worth visiting. Get there when they open to beat the heat and you won't be disappointed.

I had previously been to the Living Desert many times being desert grown and a desert resident for many years! I have always had an enjoyable time from all of those experiences so I thought it would be nice to treat my toddler and boyfriend to this adventure! We were all so excited to finally get out and do something and this was money and time well spent. For parents: there are restrooms everywhere which helped us because my son is still using pull ups! There are food (dining and snacks) options that are all delicious. There is everything you would need for a day at the zoo available at the stores. Activities are endless. Lots of sites to see. I would recommend going early due to the sun being nice and bright. Lots of sunscreen is required. There are some things I would recommend bringing cash for ease. Feeding the giraffes is a MUST. I would suggest making that your first stop if possible upon entry! Love the staff and everyone is helpful and kind.

Omg! What a fun little zoo! All the animals are warm weather critters, so they were all awake and active.

We were very lucky to enjoy a private tour with Dave today. Not only did we get to see every exhibit the zoo includes, we also received detailed information about the animals and environments we were witnessing. Dave was an excellent host, providing us a comfortable, safe, and fun experience. He was very attentive to the children in our group and made sure they got a great view of everything. The giraffe feeding was awesome, and it was a nice benefit to cut the line via the private tour. Overall it was a wonderful way to experience everything this very well managed, clean, well-signed zoo had to offer. Thanks Dave and everyone there!

We went for the Glow in the Dark event. It was impressive before dark and spectacular after dark. Most of the animals were active and close enough in their habitats that they were easy to see. The various lanterns throughout the park were so impressive. Loved that there were interactive areas for kids and adults to enjoy and to have cute photo ops. Hard to pick out a favorite. Plenty of places to pick up a snack to sit and enjoy. Reasonably priced too. I will definitely be back!

Garden areas pretty.
They have petting goats which was nice.
I recommend being a wagon or a stroller if you have kids and bring cold drinks.

Great program and layout. Best to come when it’s not as hot as the animals are less active when it is.
Only reason it’s 4 instead of 5 stars is the cost. Gatorade is $7 each. I know it’s a good cause but after the entry fee, it starts to get really expensive…

Nicest zoo I’ve ever visited. All the animals are out. You can feed giraffes which is an awesome activity. The staff are the nicest people ever! So educational. There’s clean bathrooms every turn. Food isn’t too expensive. 10/10 would recommend whether you’re a kid or adult.

A really great Zoo for the kids but my little guy liked the train model set the most. You can get up and close with giraffe feeding but have to pay extra. I'm not sure if we saw everything there as the zoo is now completely paperless--environmentally friendly. There is an app you can download to guide you but we did not do that. Maybe next time... Wish there was a little more staff around to know what was best to see, when feedings occur etc.
Bathroom facilities were pretty frequent which was good too.

Peaceful in the daytime.
The staff and volunteers are extremely nice.
I hope all animals are treated well at all times.
I normally don't go to zoos only sanctuaries.
Shout out to Christina the young lady who works in the refreshment stand that's near the camels and in between the goat petting area. She's very nice and has really great customer service. We tried to tell Chad and David her bosses but we could not find them anywhere at the zoo throughout the time we were there from 1:00 p.m. to closing time. We even came back for the second evening light festival. Give Christina a raise.
Extremely overcrowded in the evening.
They should definitely have a capacity of how many people can come in. Or they should definitely have some kind of structure when people are taking pictures or people are waiting in line to take photos.
It might even be a great idea to implement photographers as well as people being able to take their own pictures.
The lantern festival is very pretty but I would never go again to the Palm springs location because the patrons really don't have any manners, (adults and children). People were just walking through when other people are trying to take pictures, not even saying excuse me which was very rude.
Also for better pictures and lighting it's probably a good idea to put lights on both sides of any area that has a festival lantern because if there's no lighting on the other side all pictures come out really dark. The only thing you can see is the lantern not really the people in the pictures.

Location: Out there, Parking: Okay, Service: tickets(okay), park attendants (good), vending (okay), retail sales (okay), Military discount: yes, Areas where animals lived: some looked great others need to change ( according to a plan areas are being adjusted to better support the animals expected to be done in 2 more phases). Overall: This was a first-time visit and for the outside it does seem to have a good vibe as to decent areas of space.for the animals to roam and not be as caged up as was done in the past. The best example is the Giraffe exhibit. The amount of space is great, and the animals look so comfortable. Where as when you walk over to the Leopard exhibit, it seems cramped and closed in as well as the striped hyena exhibit. Another interesting piece is the huge model train exhibit. This remarkable creation will keep you looking for quite a while as it must be over a quarter acre of model buildings, bridges, and cities along the miles of track. I plan on. going back to see the new changes and updates. Until all the animals are in better accommodations..2.5 Stars...

We had such a great time here. I loved seeing the desert animals and knowing that they are a non-profit. Everything you buy helps them take care of the animals and supports their efforts in increasing their population. If you can, do the rhino experience (about $50 each). You get to learn about rhinos, their plan, and you can touch and feed one of them! (8am daily, I suggest you pay for it in advance) You can also pay to feed the giraffe(s) ($10 per person, 3 pieces of lettuce, worth it for the close up and to help them with their efforts). This was an on-the-spot decision.
Lastly, it will get hot because it's the desert and especially if you're coming in the summer. Be prepared with water, sunblock/screen and whatever else you may need as it takes a bit of time to go around to see all of it.
Luvia Castro — Google review
A well planned animal zoo. Summer is definitely not the best time to go though the zoo has made arrangements to handle hot weather well. Restaurants inside the zoo are well staffed and has a decent menu and of good quality. The fee seems like a premium compared to other zoos but there are carousel and a mini-train area that makes it worth the time and money for kids.
PS: The tour on trolleys is not of the full zoo but only of the inside areas and skips the actual attractions that have to be walked through. So read through info before getting on to the zoo tour trolley which is an extra charge.

We went on weekend of Halloween. The people working and volunteering were sooo kind and helpful. Chris explained to us how to get around the zoo and about the candy stations and activities going on at the zoo. She was great! The zoo was so beautiful, and we got to feed the giraffe. My son loved it. We hope to come back next year on our visit back to Palm desert.

A world- class zoo in a quiet, low-key place. It's small, not too many animals, but those they have are kept in natural, spacious settings, and there are staff available eager to answer any questions. It's the perfect size for young kids to walk around, not overwhelming, not crowded. There is also a huge, outdoor model train exhibit , and a special area for birthday parties and weddings. Don't miss the wallaby exhibit - no cages, so you get a very close-and-personal experience. Love this place.

Just got back from a day at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens and wow, it was awesome! This place has it all. They've got animalsf, like wild dogs and a striped hyena, which was super cool to see up close. We were there right smack in the middle of the day, and unlike other zoos where you're lucky to spot a sleeping animal or two, here, there were tons of them up and about. Made our visit way more exciting! The place is super kid-friendly too. You're never too far from a snack place or a bathroom, which, trust me, is a lifesaver when you're herding kids around. And it's spotless everywhere you look, which is pretty impressive for a zoo.Oh, and you’ve gotta check out the gift shop before you leave. It’s not your usual zoo gift shop; it’s got something for everyone, no matter your budget.Definitely give this zoo a visit. Just a heads up though—it gets HOT, and there's a lot of wandering under the sun, so come prepared. Getting there early is a good move too, especially if you want to catch the animal feedings and some really interesting talks by the staff. Trust me, it's a day well spent!

My favorite zoo. There are so many aspects of engagement, plus I feel it focuses on the benefit of the animal's living comfort and experience. Miniature train set in the center is huge, the endangered animal Carousel is gorgeous and the natural oasis nature walk is amazing. I love that you can see animal's in their simulated habitat in the best way.

Nice place to spend day-time with family and friends. Perfect gateway from LA and greater LA. Good way to visit a lot of animals that you don't get to see otherwise. Some animals have ample space and you can experience how they might behave in their natural habitat but for some we felt the space is not enough at all and management should do something about it.
Positive- convenient restrooms, drinking water outlets, restaurants , free parking and you can bring own food inside, not much crowded.
Negative - some construction going on, food options not that great but pricey, navigation in the zoo is not perfect and maps are not super easy to understand directions.

Great destination for kids !! They get to see the animals roaming freely in their own area ( similar to their natural habitat), instead of cages.
The zoo wasn't crowded heavily even during holidays. Enough places to sit and relax if you are tired walking. All walkways are stroller friendly.
The giraffe feeding experience closes at 3 PM, so go early if interested.
The miniature rail road model is very beautiful.... Nicely designed and maintained !!

We were so impressed with this zoo. All the exhibits seemed large enough for each animal and comparable to their natural habitats. We were super impressed by the desert animals and the Australian exhibits. We were also thrilled to see North American animals as those were all super beautiful.
They currently have a mom and baby yellow foot wallaby in exhibit. We saw camels, goats, giraffes, rhinos, and even a lizard in the animal hospital getting a wellness check. This is a great place for families and kids. The train area was also unique. They are refurbishing some areas. Worth the trip for sure.

Mother, daughter, Grands and GGs all loved the Glow Park at the Living Desert Zoo. What an exciting adventure for us all. We had never seen anything like this in all our travels and were mesmerized by all the animals, birds and flowers. This was my first visit to this Zoo & I hope that it will not be my last. There is so much to see & do, especially if you have younger kids or grandchildren. They were having Glow Nights during my visit. It would have been cheaper if I would have came back later for glow night, but I didn't. I am sure everything was beautiful, because it looked great during the day. There are several places to rest, eat & relax. I think The Living Zoo is a great experience for children & adults.

I say this place was wonderful. I enjoyed all the exhibits. It was nice to see the animals interact with the keepers. The volunteers were simply lovely to talk to and full of information. Helen and Cindy were the ones we spoke with the most, very nice ladies! I truly will love to return with my grandchildren. The only negative I say is the fact there was NO paper map! I get it, it is the age of technology but trying to bring it up on my phone was too small and annoying to have to use my phone. Plus it used my battery so at the end I almost had a completely dead phone. I would purchase a map for 50 cent or a dollar just to have one!!!
The Cafe at Shields is a charming spot offering Mexican-inspired breakfast and lunch options, with the added bonus of outdoor seating under white umbrellas. Located within the Shields Date Garden, this cafe is part of a 17-acre farm and garden that underwent extensive renovations between 2011 and 2013. Visitors can leisurely explore the picturesque surroundings, which include 23 biblical statues depicting scenes from the life of Jesus Christ.
There is no OBVIOUS entrance to the restaurant, don’t hesitate to ask staff for directions, it is behind the building and there is an arch on the right side too.
The food and service were great! Quiet, peaceful, you can here the fountain… Romantic spot.

We went here as a group of five. We had to wait a bit to be seated (which is understandable as the spot is popular), we took that time to take a walk around the farm and by the time we were done, our table was ready. The dishes are mostly Mexican or Mexican-inspired and everything was flavourful. The entrees came in large portions. If you eat pork, you must try the bacon wrapped dates (oh my, 10/10). I would be remiss if I did not mention how kind, attentive and courteous all the servers are. I can’t wait to come back here :-)

Very kind wait staff. We're greeted at the door immediately and asked to take a seat wherever we liked either outdoor or inside. Was a bit humid outside but they had the misters on even early in the morning which helped when the breeze blew our way. Tables were clean, drinks and further service was prompt. I don't remember the name, but my breakfast chips dish was unexpectedly great. The biscuits and gravy had a very unique sauce as well. The chorizo as a side was a bit different than I normally am used to eating, but being homemade it was good in its own way. Eggs were cooked exactly how we asked them to be as well. The country potatoes were cut in bite sized chunks but not really flavored much. That's the only slight hit for me. Again, the multiple staff who hosted us were very attentive with drink refills and checking up on us throughout, yet not very pushy or annoying even when it came time to pay the bill. The place just looked a bit old and partially under construction which is the only reason for 4 stars.

Early morning breakfast, I came with friends at 8:30am and was only the 2nd people here...by the time I left it was completely full, no tables by 10:30am. They have plenty of parking with overflow parking on the east side of the parking lot under the palm trees. The service and our waiter were amazing, we were served fast, and our server was attentive to our needs, there was 8 of us, so we used 2 tables. Breakfast was good, nothing fancy, just good breakfast. The grounds are beautiful, and the weather was nice for an early morning breakfast with friends...side note....it is Fly season and they were out in abundance trying to catch a bite so be aware of the pesky things.

The service was fast and the attendants very cordial.
The place has a Christian atmosphere with a garden with nice trees and some biblical passages.

Date shake amazing and bomb. Delicious varieties of date kinds that haven't heard about before. Only one thing was hot and busy. Other than that, all was an excellent experience

We had a very yummy lunch. We sat on the patio which was lovely. The weather was perfect that day. I had the benedict with fruit on the side, it was delicious.
The grounds were nice to walk around. The date shakes were also a must have!! Our young kids enjoyed it too.

Staff was nice. Thought people should know their rating not meeting minimum sanitary standards. Didn’t want to risk getting food poisoning. Asked to see their inspection report and it wasn’t provided.
Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is a massive wilderness area that boasts an abundance of hiking trails, wildflowers, trees, shrubs, and cacti. It's considered one of the richest natural-history museums in the nation and features stunning desert vistas that are unmatched in their privacy and beauty. Camping opportunities abound for those seeking a more secluded experience, with plenty of space to explore off the beaten path.
We loved our stay at Blair Valley. We got a beautiful campsite. It is a wonderful time of the year to visit. There is so much to see here. The desert is in full bloom this time of year. Will definitely return.

Beautiful slot - but NO signs as to how long and/or if it was round trip. The state park magazine said 1.5 miles round trip - but it was actually closer to 3 and there were 2 other groups down there trying to figure out if they should turn around or if the trail would loop back. Both ways worked, but there was no sign and no obvious way out.

We had a wonderful excursion at Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. It was so delightful to see the dry desert come alive in swathes of bloom as far as the eye could see
... all the way to the foothills. A glorious sight.
These were grouping of a variety of plants in colors of yellow, white, magenta, orange, and purple. Also, cactus blooming in some areas. The interesting, rusty giant metal sculptures of varying creatures were so fun to see. Make sure your first stop is at the states visitor center to get the scoop on the current bloom sites, the history, reliable maps, botanical display, hikes, and see an interesting film. It will assure you get the most out of your visit.

This state park has so much space that it's incredible. If you want privacy take your car a little off the beaten path and there is plenty of spots to camp and enjoy the night. The desert is magical, spend a night out here and experience it yourself.

This is a wonderful place to explore for a day. We spent about two hours here, discovering the statues and enjoying the picturesque landscapes. It gets pretty hot here, but the desert is really nice. The roads are good, not if you want to see the statues close by though.

We saw one of the most breathtaking views of wildflower blooms here! The visitor center is good with a lot of interesting information about the park and its wildlife. Must visit if you are intrigued by desert ecosystems.

I love primitive camping and backpacking in Southern Anza-Borrego. Quiet serene, lots of big boulders and Ocotillos.
I used to say the desert was mostly a wasteland, but I've learned so much about life in the desert the past 7 years. From water sources to seeing humming birds and dragon flies. The plants, the animals and the history.
There's so much to experience.
Avoid Mid June - Mid Sept due to heat. Winter is never too cold.

Nice area, can be warm and a bit breezy, with good roads. There is wonderful visitor center with lots of interesting books and info. It even has an informative short movie and the gift shop. You can buy food or bring a picnic and enjoy the park in the center of town that is dog friendly, has restrooms, and the kids can play.

An extraordinary desert with miles and miles to explore. There is so much stuff in this state park to discover, you will need weeks to enjoy everything it offers. From spectacular dark nights for star gazing to a natural Oasis in the middle of dry land. Miles and miles for off road vehicles to enjoy. A BLM shoot area nearby to bring your guns and shoot whatever it is that you shoot. Deceloped campsites are abundant and primitive campsites are also around. Tons of RV glamping for your enjoyment. Bring water as it can get pretty hot very quick, and please keep your dogs hydrated and cooled.
I recommend visiting:
- The wind caves if you have high clearance vehicle and 4x4.
- Borrego canyon camp site. Walk a mile in to find the Oasis
- Slot canyon. No off road or 4x4 needed here. Bring a camera for sure!
- Tamerisk Grove campground for cabin sleeping, but you must bring your own sleeping pad.
- Drive up to Julian (outside of Anza borrego state park, just about 39 miles west) if you have time, but do it in the early part of the day as most shops and restaurants close earlier than normal.
- If you have dirt toys bring them, the Ocotillo off road area is just phenomenal.

I thoroughly enjoy this, the largest state park in CA. The wild flowers are beautiful this winter. There is lots of great history to learn at the visitor centercand the park is designated as an International Night Sky destination. Many campers bring their off road vehicles in certain designated areas. A very nice park.

Amazing state park! We didn't even get to see everything but the parts we saw were so beautiful! Font's Point at sunset was so gorgeous but you definitely need 4 wheel drive to get there. The slot canyon hike was great. Visitor center was nice and the staff there were super helpful in helping us choose which hikes to do and how to get there. The Palm Canyon Oasis trail was absolutely gorgeous and 100% worth taking the time to hike. Can't wait to come back someday!

This state park’s wildflower super bloom season is so beautiful and picturesque with the backdrop of the mountains. With the cool breeze, the calming scent of the wildflowers fills the air and soothes the soul. And the metal sculptures add a cool touch to the park, especially the dragon one.

Visiting all of the sculptures is a must! Do watch for scorpions and rattlesnakes in the summer. It’s way too hot in the summer for dogs unless you plan an early morning. It’s considered an International Dark Sky do Milky Way photography is amazing too!

Great place, from the various palm oases to the statuary field (which I will separately rate) and more. And, most of it's free! Note: if you're driving a rental-car company SUV with highway tires, take seriously the off-highway roads with "loose sand" signs.
Steve Smith — Google review
Since this is the largest state park in California, expect to do a lot of driving. The area is surrounded by mountains and desert floors. There are numerous washes throughout, but there's very few signs from the road to give you a warning where it is. By the time you see the small sign in the wash, you've gone too far and have to turn around.
We stayed at Tamerisk Grove CG but probably should've stayed at the Palm Canyon CG due to size limitation. There's also over 500 miles of road for free boondocking with 30-day stay per calendar year
We did see the Truckhaven Rock area, Font Point overlook, and hiked the Slot Canyon out to the Borrego Badlands. Excellent spots if you have a couple of days.
While not part of the park, we did visit almost all of the large sculptures seen around the city of Borrego Springs.
We have a 4x4 pickup truck but not high clearance. Recommend it for some of the more technical roads. Most washes were fine with just a 4x4 vehicle.
We recommend visiting this park if you happen to be in the area.

We went to see the flowers - and we were not disapointed. We skipped the vistor center which was overwhelmed, but as locals we just followed the directions of the rangers who were directing trafic, with calm professionalism depite the chaos all around, and we were not disappointed! I love this State Park and try to go durring the bloom every Feb/ March, phenomenal!

Beautiful park. Drove there to go hike the palm canyon trail, and I can say that the drive itself is worth it even if I had not done the hike. After the sun set, I was able to see the stars very clearly. It was a breathtaking moment as you cannot see a starry sky like this in most cities. This park forever holds a spot in my heart for the experience it gave me and the stars it showed me.
Scenic 1-mi. hiking loop with huge rock formations to climb & views of Joshua trees & desert areas.
Make this the last spot of the day. As the sun sets, the rock cliffs burn orange fire! With shadows on the other parts, it makes for an amazing experience - not to mention some beautiful pictures. The trail is easy, about a mile. You'll see lots of rock climbers tackling different surfaces, it is fun to live through them. 😉

We’ve been to 4 or 5 hikes in Joshua tree now and happy valley is one of our family favorites. It’s an easy 1 mile loop, although our hike turned into about 1.5 miles due to the amount of climbing we did. This is such a fun hike with so much variety in what you see and can do. There’s limitless possibilities in bouldering.
Our two kids, ages 10 and 12, loved climbing and exploring. We saw families with toddlers who were running and climbing off steam.
Try and get there early as the parking lot tends to fill up by 10. We got there at 10:30 and we’re lucky someone was leaving. The rangers were redirecting people to another lot when we left at 12:30.
There are pit toilets and many picnic tables for lunch at the parking lot. Easy drive in and out as well. Take sunscreen and water and enjoy the peace and calm of Joshua Tree!

All Trails: 1.34miles, 118ft elevation gain, 56 mins.
This is awesome trail! Not too difficult and saw two park volunteers hiking as well and they were very knowledgeable. Lots of prickly pear cacti which I loved! Tons of places to do some boulder climbing or watching the real rock climbers 😅
There is no shade! Bring sunscreen, more water than you think you need (1L/hour/person), and layers.
A bunch of variety of cacti and we found the “throne” of hidden valley 😂
Have lunch at the picnic area after your hike!
This is a very busy attraction! We arrived at 9:50am and got what seemed to be the last parking spot. Left around 12:30pm and there was a ranger at the entrance not allowing people to enter.

I loved this "trail." It really isn't a trail, more of a gentle walk through nature. It is short, well-marked, and doesn't have much in the way of elevation gains/declines. So if you're looking for a true hike, look elsewhere.
That said, this little walk packs a ton of beautiful sights in a really small area. You're sort of in a bowl here, with rocks surrounding you on all sides. Inside the bowl there are really interesting rock formations all around you, and the flora here is very different than you see in most other areas of the park. Apparently this area is a bit of a microclimate due to it's geological features, and there are tons of signs throughout the park explaining the reasons for this. It is an amazing combination of easy walking, beautiful scenery, and signs containing really good information about what you're seeing. The one downside is this was the most crowded area I saw in the park with the exception of Skull Rock, so you will be sharing the trail with hundreds of people. But unlike Skull Rock and some of the other crowded areas of the park, the crowds here didn't really bother me.
This was the highlight of the park for me, without a doubt. Although there are other hiking trails I'd recommend over this one, there is no other attraction in the park I'd recommend more highly.

Easy hike (1 mile loop trail). We went there early ~ before 9am and easily found the parking lot. Would recommend to arrive early to avoid the traffic… saw long line cars waiting to enter the gate on the way back.
This hike is suitable for families, mostly flat, rocks for kids to climb (not dangerous). Be aware of the cold. It was end of Dec when we were here and we wish we would have worn beanie and gloves.

$30 to enter Joshua Tree National Park with a car, valid for 7 days. There are bathrooms and porta potties right when you enter the park.
This is an easy trail if you stay on the flat path. My friend, and I ended up climbing over some rocks, and it was fun but quite difficult and not for children (8 out of 10 difficulty at times).

Plenty of toilet paper!!!
We got here early after turning away due to crowds the day before. Nice quick early morning hike with great light and fun views of rock climbers. As with every spot in the park, this gets filled up and parking becomes very difficult. We took the opposite direction on the loop and it was nice having folks pass us in the opposite direction rather than following or being followed.

Hidden Valley trail was recommended to me by a ranger at the Visitors centre. I arrived later in the afternoon and wanted to 'see it all in a short time before the sun went down'. This trail delivered.
The trail is a loop that starts at the carpark and makes it around a relatively easy area within the park. You get the see the best of Joshua Tree national park.
The Joshua trees are very unique and unlike any other trees that I have seen elsewhere. The fact that there are SO many of them and ONLY them is a really cool sight to see.
This track will take you around some very interesting rock structures that are unique to the park. Depending on the time of day, you may see amateur and professional rock climbers taking up the challenge.
The park can get HOT in summer so be sure to take more water than what you think you will need and stick to the track.

Nice place to hike for 1-2 hours. Thieves used to hide their stolen cows in this valley and got this name. We saw two groups of rock climbers on two sides of the valley. We saw a few big birds and quite a few smaller birds.

A super short and easy 1 mile loop trail. It took me less than an hour to complete with several stops. There aren’t too many Joshua trees on this one but the rock formations and various cacti are cool. A bit chilly in October in the shade. The wind was also blowing hard. A great first introduction trail to Joshua Tree NP.

As you drive up and see a few dozen cars, you think "yeah... Hidden... Riiiggghhhtt" (sarcasm). But then you get it and start going down the paths that break off everywhere, seeing hikers, people rappelling, and kids playing on rocks on to of rocks. Then you climb the rocks and see the amazing view, truly a Hidden Valley. 🤩😍

Cactus-filled area in Joshua Tree National Park that's viewable from a flat loop walking trail.
Definitely worth visiting to see the glowing cholla cactii stretching out for miles around you. It's suggested to visit this garden at sunrise, but the view was just as good at midday when we visited. Be very careful to not get too close - the cactus spines will attach themselves to your clothes at the slightest contact, and will not want to let go - I speak from experience.

**Never touch or step on the Cholla!**
It is indescribably hurting!!!!! Watch your step while not on the wooden trail.

One of the most magical places on this planet. You see nature's magnificent work at its best. Hundreds and thousands of cholla cactus standing proudly in the windy air of Joshua Tree National Park.
The best time to visit is during sunset or sunrise when the entire place is cast with the golden light of the desert sun. Now, be careful to keep a safe distance from these 'teddy bear' cacti and don't try to wander off the trail.

If you’re going anywhere in Joshua Tree, make sure you add the Cholla Cactus Garden to your list! We went a little before sunset and it was perfect because you could see the Cholla start to glow more and more as the light dims. Incredible experience and pretty easy to find parking around 5pm.

I have mixed feelings about the Cholla Cactus Garden. On one hand, the chollas are absolutely stunning and unlike any other cactus I've seen before. But on the other hand, they're incredibly dangerous. One wrong move and you could end up with a painful and difficult-to-remove cactus spines stuck in your skin. I always try to be extra careful when I'm around them, but I still have nightmares about accidentally falling into a chollas.

It was beautiful. Make sure to be before because of parking and because the glowing starts just before the sun touches the cactus. If the sun touches the cactus directly pictures aren’t going to be so good.

Beautiful specially in the evening around sunset. The unique plants in the nature. They have limited parking. Make sure you don’t go off the trail/wooden path. The thorn are dangerous and can give you a lot of trouble. So avoid touching or stepping on them. They penetrate through shoes and clothes as well.

This 0.2 mile flat loop is gorgeous, fascinating, and mesmerizing garden full of Cholla (Choy-ya). I would go at sunrise or sunset because the Cholla look like they are glowing and it’s so magical!

Cholla Garden is a mesmerizing enclave that transports you to a different planet, offering an unparalleled experience unlike any other place in California. To catch the breathtaking sunrise, an early start is essential, with a recommendation to arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time.
Spending a minimum of an hour in this enchanting landscape allows you to capture the captivating transformation of colors in the surroundings – before, during, and after the sunrise. Each moment presents a unique palette that makes for stunning photographs.
While navigating through the cactuses, it's crucial to walk with caution. The spikes on these plants are akin to a formidable machine, easily attaching themselves to clothing and causing significant discomfort. Despite this prickly challenge, the awe-inspiring beauty of Cholla Garden makes the experience well worth the early wake-up call and careful exploration.

Amazing place to visit. There's so much cholla that you can just keep walking. Just be careful not to get lost as the parking lot does disappear as you walk further in. There are a bunch of cactus balls on the floor that can cling into you. The wind can blow needles onto you as well. If you stay on the trail provided, you will be okay. If you go off it, just make sure you don't get prick. I didn't see any bees when I was there in late March during the day. There were lizards and birds flying around.

Salvation Mountain is a distinctive and offbeat attraction located on the way to Los Angeles. This quirky landmark features a mound made of adobe, adorned with vibrant religious folk art. Created by Leonard Knight, the project is free to visit and allows visitors to walk up the mountain, as long as they remain on the yellow brick road. There are restrooms and shaded areas available for those who want to explore this unique destination.
Seen this in the movie, "Into the Wild" and put it on my list of must see. Visiting the high desert decided to take a day trip here. Nice drive along the Salton Sea on a paved two lane road. Be sure to gas up, have water, sunscreen and hat. Arrived in the morning and it was already hot. Easy to find, used GPS. There is parking off the road. The area was clean and a port-a-potty on sight was surprising clean and serviced. An on site care taker was friendly and working on maintenance. Information flyers and postcards are available which I loved and took advantage of. A donation box is securely set up and suggested. There was also a selfie shelf to take photos. Genius! You can wander and explore where permitted. Sunset photos would be the best. A California icon that is worth the time.

If you are on a road trip and have time to swing through this place by all means check it out. But it’s basically a bunch of funky artwork and a glorified homeless encampment. Visited in April 2015. A truly amazing and unique place that left me inspired. Bit of history: Leonard Knight, born on November 1, 1931, was the 4th of 6 children. After serving in the Korean War as a vehicle technician, he embarked on a remarkable artistic journey. Knight’s passion for spreading love and God’s message led him to create something truly extraordinary.
In the 1970s, Knight painted “GOD IS LOVE” on a hot air balloon crafted from patchwork materials and a stove. When the balloon failed to take flight, Knight prayed and felt that God’s response was to build a mountain. By 1984, he discovered Slab City, a transient and retiree commune, where he decided to leave a “small monument” made of concrete and paint. Over the next five years, the project grew, and the current Salvation Mountain emerged. Leonard Knight passed away in 2014 but was able to visit his beloved creation one last time in May 2013.

I wanted to be more impressed than I was. A lot was closed off unfortunately. I appreciate art and the time that goes into it but overall it was just ok. The best part was seeing the Salton Sea along the way to the mountain. The area is definitely a no man’s land. Strong smell of human waste in the air. Not worth a 6 hour round trip drive. What a beautiful art piece! They have a selfie station here so you can get a lot of pictures with the art. I went on a day after it had rain so you can't really get up close because the piece is very fragile. They also let me send up my drone and take pictures from the sky. Drove here with friends while on vacation during the early few days of January. We went on a Wednesday during the afternoon. We traveled from Joshua Tree to Salvation, which was around 120 miles. It was an extremely long drive. The roads near Salvation Mountain are very rough despite being paved with asphalt. I would advise taking an SUV or other car that has a bit of ground clearance. We got stuck in the sand near a road-side stand because of this.
Despite the setbacks, Salvation Mountain is an impressive place, and the story behind it is very interesting. It's about spreading a message with peace and love. One thing I would also mention is to avoid the bathrooms since they aren't sanitary.

This museum is a testament to the dedication required to maintain it, as it has been kept alive with new surprises added over the years. Visitors can witness the challenging but beautiful landscape that shaped the historic mining and settlement of this area.
We had a great time here! The road was paved for a while and then it was hard sand/dirt for about 9 miles. The scenery was beautiful! I love some history so I was excited to learn more about this place and it was well worth the drive! The background of this old mine town was Castle Dome mountain - WOW! If you do visit, I recommend you go during the winter months, since they are closed in the summer. Also, if you do go in the spring - beware because that's when the wild life becomes more active: rattlers, coyotes, etc.
The fee just for the town was $15 per person, but if you want to do the mine it is $75 per person. I HIGHLY recommend you do the mine tour - which includes access to the town. All in all we were there for about 2 hours.
The best part of this place is that it is Pet Friendly 😍, so we took our fur baby along with us. Please if you do take your pet, please clean up after them!!
Take food/snacks and water, as there is NO convenience store anywhere.

Be prepared to be amazed if you are wanting to see history!! So much to see. It will take you most of the day to look thru all these building in this ghost town! We didn't make it thru all of it and will be going back again when it cools off.
The mining Hull is a must see. FLourescent Minerals is spectacular!

Turn on mm55 from Yuma on 95, down a bumpy dirt road. Pretty cool place. $20pp to walk around might be a bit much. Spent about an hour and half checking out old buildings and machines. Walked about 1-2 miles throughout the city "if" you walk the whole thing. Might go back for the mine trip $75pp. Only 2 other couples were there at 11am on Wednesday so you may have the place to yourself.

Highly recommend. This is a great place to visit to learn about the early life of someone working as a miner. We were able to go directly into the mine, which was awesome. The buildings were cool to see. Driving the long, dusty gravel road does come to an end.

This place really is a labor of love to keep it going after all these years with new surprises being added. Your visit here helps it stay alive. What a great way to see the historic mining and settlement of this challenging but beautiful landscape. We really enjoy it and have visited many times over the past 15 years when we first discovered this gem in the desert.

Lots of interesting buildings to look at. They do a great job on describing each building and items in it. Very interesting to walk around and see everything. You can scan a barcode with your phone and that will give you a self guided tour of the place. They prefer cash for the entrance fee, however will take a credit card if you don't have enough cash, but it will cost an extra $1 per person. We didn't do the mine tour as it was $75 per person and we had a group. A bit too pricey for all of us. Definitely worth going to see if you are in the area. Parking is limited and when we were there, no food available although I believe they have some on the weekends.

Amazing mining town with such a great and interesting history. The preservation of items of the era is impressive. They have done a great job on the presentation.

Been there twice, last summer in August.. it was pretty miserable in the heat so we went last week and took friends. It was a fun and very interesting visit that I'd recommend... we ended up eating over at the landing in Lake Martinez but next time we'll pack lunches and have a picnic at the mine... there were 5 rattlesnakes spotted when we went so be prepared and be safe as it's a long drive to a hospital and I forgot to check if they stock antivenom for an emergency.

We loved this place. So magical and pretty. The gravel road is not as bad, if you have a small car you should be ok if you are careful. We loved the experience. $15 dlls for each adult and $7 small children. Smaller kids are free. They have sodas, water and chips for sale for $1. It takes about 1 1/2 to to hours to tour the whole town. It was worth the drive.

The replica old Town they have set up is incredible. Great staff! The actual mine tour was beautiful. Learned a lot. The road heading out there is pretty rough, dirt road. We were in our truck but many people were in cars. Highly recommend.

Castle Dome Mine Museum, it was a really cool museum! The only downside is that it's a bit off the beaten path down a dirt road, but it's definitely worth the trip. The museum is filled with interesting exhibits and artifacts that give you a glimpse into the history of the area. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area.

The volunteers here at the Castle Dome Mine Museum were very helpful and friendly! We had a great time touring the mine and seeing all the displays! I highly recommend a visit to the Castle Some Mine Museum if you're ever in the Yuma Arizona area!

Off the path and a rough road. Neat museum about the 1800's mining town. Great way to spend an afternoon with a side tour of the mine. I really enjoyed it. There is a food truck restaurant but it is only open on Friday,Saturday and Sundays. Neat stories in some of the exhibits.

Lots of history here. The drive out to the town is a very rough (washboard) gravel road, so beware. The town is amazing, but. An also be a bit confusing, despite the I'm weed buildings and audio self tour website. There needs to. E a map of the grounds, so parts don't get missed. The cost is $20/adult, and cash is king.

This is one of the BEST ghost towns and mines that the average person can visit! From the incredible mine tour that show cases countless rare and amazing relics of the 1800’s mining to rolling ore cars and a massive stope of fluorescent minerals making a spectacular show! The ghost town is well kept as well as amazing to walk through. My favorite is the saloon of course!

We had a good time! My kiddos loved exploring the old ghost town and seeing all the antiques. It took us a couple hours to walk through. Can’t wait to do the mine tours one day! Beautful scenery out this way too.

Castle Dome Mine Museum with mine tours. 😊
What a great historical place! We had a great time wandering the sites and exploring. They have it set up so very well and you actually get to walk in and see things, touch things and explore. They let you and want you to explore. Just not the mines 🤭.
It’s a great place and highly recommended.
The Desert Caballeros Western Museum in Wickenburg, Arizona is a must-visit for those interested in the town's Western heritage. With over 400 works of Western art, including pieces by renowned artists like Frederick Remington and Charles Russell, this museum has been described as a jewel filled with unexpected treasures.
An absolutely pleasant experience. I've been to Wickenburg, Arizona many times. This was the first time I went to the museum. Most of all the volunteers were kind and helpful. They had a wonderful Cowgirl exhibit and art show, but don't forget to check out their downstairs blast from the past.

One of the best museums in the Valley! And underrated, I wish I have found out about it sooner. Their exhibits are really cool. They have a town reconstruction in the lower level with a hologram. Their art collection is gorgeous, and their location in Wickenburg is perfect, you can plan for dinner within a block away and some shopping too. A must visit for those interested in the western heritage of Arizona!

We started off looking at all the local art on the main floor which was amazing. But once you go downstairs you’re transported back in time with very interactive exhibits. The museum is not huge so it won’t take you all day to get through it. I think we spent 90 minutes looking around.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. We went Memorial Day weekend and was granted free entry due to veteran status. Lots of history with some old relics, brought back some childhood memories.

BEST place to see western art pieces! I definitely did not expect any of what I saw in the museum. The museum is pretty large with different exhibits. The sculptures are genius and so are the paintings!
The downstairs was also incredibly interesting. The different displays they had give you some insight on the town of Wickenburg and its beginnings and was so insightful.

We saw a new display of western art by all women artists. The art was for sale as well. Just beautiful.

A cool museum dedicated to the history of Wickenburg and the mining and ranching of the area. The top part has art, and exhibitions about Wickenburg, while the bottom is a street-level section of "old" Wickenburg, with a general store, ranch house, and a series of display models about Wickenburg events, the first mines, ranching, the Wickenburg massacre, etc. This is a fantastic little museum that packs a lot of awesome displays into its rooms!

Fantastic gem, just outside metro Phoenix. Leave yourself a min of two hours, and enjoy a leisurely stroll through the exhibit. The cowgirl art exhibit was so fun and inspiring, too. It's only there for a few months per year, so check it out before memorial day.

So well done...Great display of History and the period of time. You are transported back to the late 1800's.
Your Western Museum admission also includes admission to the Cultural Center. Outstanding display of Apache Heritage.
Be sure to take a stroll through old town and admire all the amazing bronze sculptures.

Great museum - smaller, but still interesting. They have affordable tickets with some common discounts (AAA, military, etc). No wait to get in on a Saturday afternoon, easily bought our tickets at the door.

This a great local museum packed with history. Lots of displays along with good dioramas. There was a display of cowgirl artists, which is not permanent, but very nice. If you are in town for a bit I recommend a trip to this museum. You'll come away with a good amount of local history.

This was a nice historic museum. Great for adults. You could spend a few hours learning about the past and looking at the beautiful art. Most of museum is don't touch, look and read. I had hoped it would be more kid oriented and hands on explanation. Sadly there are very little hands on items. The kids were entertained enough but it is a one time visit sort of place for my family.

We went here because our 4 yr old wanted to go. It was her first museum experience and I gotta say we were impressed from all the setups down to the patience of the staff. Everyone is very nice and informational. The downstairs area is really cool for kids! Our daughter had a blast!

What a treasure! Art and history collide in this great museum of the old west and native American culture.
Walking old Wickenburg is fun too, but you will have to wait until fall now. Most shops are closed for the summer

I loved this place because everything was very authentic. The people who run the museum were super nice and informational. Its free for AD military AND their family's which is a perk. There's options to listen to the museum through a cassette and headphones or you can just browse through and read everything yourself. There's a hologram type video downstairs which is pretty cool. And a nice small gift shop. Definitely worth checking out!!

This was a fabulous museum! I was blown away by the art. The downstairs area for kids was awesome and my daughter thought the hologram was so cool. One of my favorite museums in all the little Arizona towns I've been to so far. Well worth the price of admission.
Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium & Safari Park in Glendale, Arizona boasts the state's largest collection of exotic animals, including white tigers, lions, jaguars, giraffes, monkeys, kangaroos, sharks and penguins. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities such as feeding giraffes and petting stingrays. The park offers rides like the log flume through the aquarium and an African safari train.
WOW! Awesome zoo. Spent over 5 hours exploring the zoo grounds. Turns out this is a great place. Enjoyed the day and we seemed to see everything in one day. Very clean grounds and saw so many different species of animals our minds are on overload. We will return for another visit in the fall to see how the change of seasons turns out. Highly recommend a visit if your on the fence.

A wonderful place for the kids to spend entire days there without getting them bored. A rare combination of Zoo and Aquarium made this place more attractive than Phoenix Zoo. In a typical hot AZ day, the aquarium offers both cool air and cool things to play. The kids can touch a lot of stingray in a small pond. There is a BBQ restaurant behind the big shark tank.
Africa Safari Ride is the best paid activity in term value per dollar both entertaining and educational. So many interactive animal activities for the kids. My kid wanted to feed the goats for the whole day. Animal feeding, seal performance, and many more.
The noise in the air might be a little disrupting during your outdoor fun activities with animals due to the nearby Air Force field aircraft training.

All three of us had a great time and we spent easily 5 hours here as it is 5 mi to walk the whole time perimeter of the zoo. The thing we like about this place is the amount of animals to see in great abundance and in close proximity. A lot of the animals are only inches and the bigger ones a few feet away so you can see them in greater details. I think the feeding of the giraffe was a great idea because it lets people come close to animals. We really liked the rhino exhibit that included three rhinos, the black bear exhibit, exhibit with the giant arrowanna fish. The aquariums were a big plus and the fact that there are aerial trams available for purchase is a good plus and adds to variety.

What an amazing place. I visited recently and I had no idea how big it was. They got a lot to see. I really enjoyed the aquariums. I wish the Phoenix Zoo had them. Definitely plan on spending the day there if you want to see everything. I can’t wait to go back.

This is a big zoo that is very spaced out. A lot to see. The food and service was very bad and over priced. I was disappointed most attractions were closed. So to pay the same entry fee when things are shut down doesn’t seem right. You can easily spend the day here. This place needs some maintenance. This could be really an amazing place if some TLC is put into it. Not impressed but it has a lot to do. The ride through the middle was fun. Didn’t do the safari because you wait about 35 minutes for the vehicles to come back if there is not room.

Coming from Chicago where we have Brookfield and Lincoln Park, this is one of the best zoos I’ve ever been to! It’s huge with a ton of variety of animals. Most of the times we’ve gone the animals are pretty active and they have baby animals all the time. The sea Lion show is awesome and the keepers and staff are all incredible. They have several good vendors but also allow food to save a few bucks for families. They also have a tram and a few kids rids. A great family day trip!

Me and my husband really enjoyed this. We saw the sea lion show and we rode the zip line the roller coaster they have this bird ride that you control the rudder and it was really fun. All the staff treated us really good. The girl at the giraffe feeding station was rude but every single other staff was great. If you want a great day I'd highly recommend this place. When your all done exploring check out the bbq restaurant it was so good.

Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium is not only one of the best experiences you can have in Phoenix, but I would venture to say one of the best zoos in Southwest U.S. (better than the PHX zoo).
This place exceeds so many expectations and it is absolutely massive - you can easily spend a full day here and still not see everything.
There are so many intimate up close encounters you can have with animals here from all over the world, whether it's feeding giraffes or standing a foot away from performing sea lions.
They do an incredible job with the layout here and the exhibits. So much of the park is in cool shade for the hotter days. Whenever your feet start getting sore you can enjoy the comfort of viewing the wildlife from the chairlift of the African safari tram.
They also do a nice job providing a variety of food options, especially with the Dillon's BBQ near the entrance. How can you beat eating delicious bbq listening to live music while watching beautiful flamingos nearby?
I sincerely hope, as others have mentioned here, that they can add elephants into this park in the near future, as that is really the only thing missing from this otherwise perfect zoo/aquarium!

So, it's a pretty nice zoo and we had a good time. Food was actually pretty darn good for the price. I'll give them that, they got other places like them beat in the food category. I just really feel like there needed to be more of a presence with zoo staff. So many people walking around smoking. And it got really old really quick to constantly be in clouds of cigarette smoke. Also, there were an abundance of people screwing with the animals. Leaning forward and putting fingers and hands through the fence, even with the leopards, yes, the leopards. I understand the zoo can only do so much to protect the idiots we've become from themselves but just some actual visible employees out and about and not just where they want to take more money from you. That being said, if you haven't been then check it out, but I think once is good enough.

Awesome zoo! Probably one of the best I have ever been too. The animals are just so live and vibrant! Most of the animals were playing and having a good time. The zoo definitely takes the building maintenance and animal enclosures seriously 110% at all times, very great too see.

I want to give it 5 stars, but we couldn't do a lot while there due to it being closed. Like the roller coaster, we went on the log water ride and it was super fun. Most were closed though.. We enjoyed feeding and petting the goats. We fed the giraffes and saw SO many very cool animals. Lots of sea life, which was great! We also enjoyed petting the stingrays. We had a lot of fun. Food and ice cream places were closed as well, not all but most. Staff were friendly. Gift shot is pretty cool. Parking was good.

A hidden gem of Phoenix and a better zoom than the popular one closer into the city. This is a rescue zoo and soon the experiences are more unique, varied, and often closer; on the other hand, it's not as polished as it could be (the only reason I'm dinging a star).
Feed giraffes, get up close with kangaroos, water ride through the aquarium, check out the albino alligator, and lunch next to flamingoes, this is a highly recommended review for the Wildlife World Zoo.
Donate if you can. I know they are working to upgrade and improve what is already a pretty amazing place.

I was born and raised in the Phoenix area and have been to the Phoenix Zoo many times but this was my first time here. This place was great for a number of reasons. The sea life and aquarium were a huge draw. My family really enjoyed the sea lion show. We were there on a warm day so getting splashed was actually very refreshing. If you haven’t been here, it’s definitely worth checking out. My kids are already talking about the next trip!

This is a nice zoo and aquarium with several "rides" available that are good for both kids and adults. You need a lot of time and endurance if you visit all the exhibits and buildings. You also need a lot of money. Adult entry is $48 each, and rides are not included. Each ride is $6 per person, and includes a train, a sky ride (lift chairs), tram, merry-go-rounds (2), log ride, and kids coaster. For $20/hour, you can rent a "Rydable," which is an animal figured power chair type thing, but it is limited in several areas. For $20, you can also rent a wheelchair. Most of the park walkways are graveled, making it dusty and challenging depending on your shoe selection. This also affects accessibility for wheelchairs, the disabled, and strollers, so be warned. Food and drink items are moderately priced, but not all food venues were open. Not all rides and exhibit buildings were open during our visit either. If you're a "zoo person," you'll like this one, but I wouldn't say it was one of my favorites due to the physical size and effort it took to see everything. I could see cost being an issue for families too.

Loved this zoo! The only thing I didn't like was that they had so many birds! I like to see more animals, not birds, but that's just my opinion. The aquarium was awesome too! My favorites were the giraffes (you can feed them too- only 50 cents!!) And the 2 baby monkeys!! Oh so adorable!! Wish they had more baby animals in the nursery. They also have a few rides to go on, I recommend going on a couple of them (to rest! As there is a lot of walking involved).

This is a really cool zoo. I really enjoyed the feed the Lori experience and the sea lion experience. Both were included in admission and the animals seemed very well cared for. The only reason I'm taking off one star is because some of the animal habitats were pretty small and sad while others were really great. But we did have a great day.

It's my favorite zoo in AZ. I've been coming to this zoo since I was a kid. Now I'm taking my kids to enjoy this amazing place. The zoo has added more rides and new exhibits. The aquarium is awesome. People get to touch the stingrays and starfish. They have scooters for the people who don't want to walk, wheelchairs and strollers for rent. They have a couple of food courts around the property and Dillon's restaurant. The zoo also has a huge playground for the kids to enjoy.
We bought the yearly membership pass, and we will be visiting more often.

So much fun! A couple of us mommies had a girl's day with our daughters. My favorites were the sea lion show where we can feed the sea lions and take photos. My other favorite were the squirrel monkeys.
The lions were very vocal and I personally think their habitat was small, hopefully it led out to a larger area that I could not see.

This zoo is awesome for the desert climate. There are a ton of shade trees, and more exhibits than we could take in during one visit. I was lucky enough to win 2 adult tickets on Real Country Radio, so we only had to pay for my boyfriend's son. It's a little pricey, but so is everything these days. It was well worth it! Will enjoy going back to see the rest!
The photo is a snake aquarium, I loved the mirror effect at the top of the water. At first I thought it was some kind of anomaly like a siamese twin snake 🤔🤣🤣

Highly recommend you purchase your tickets on Groupon! Bought my tickets for $35.99 each adult. They charge $48 at the door, so we saved big with 4 adults! We spent about 6 hours at the park today and had a blast! My mother in law and sister in law have never been to a zoo so this was their first time. They loved it! To start, we went through the amazing bird section they have, oh and monkeys. Jumped on the zip line ride for $10 a person and it’s a two person ride. We went to the Free Sea Lion presentation which was pretty cool to see the relationship the sea lions have with the trainer here. We then jumped on the Sky Ride which was $6 per person and was about a 20 minute ride. Very MUCH WORTH IT!! We went over a bunch of different animals including Giraffes, Kangaroos, Camels, Ducks, Turtles, and Warthogs to name a few. We fed snacks to the Giraffes!! So much to do here and such a great way to spend a day with your loved ones.
