We drive 50 miles to eat here. Great Mexican cuisine, never had a poor meal or bad service. Margaritas are top shelf!

Drive to Azle for better tex-mex & great margaritas. They don't know who Don Julio is here or what "skinny" means, lol. First off, they ran out of jalapeno ranch & gave me the regular one. They charge for salsa to use as a salad dressing on a take out orders only, which makes no sense whatsoever. If I was dining in I'd use the complimentary salsa provided with chips. Seems I am saving them money only asking for another one for the salad. They are clueless of the logic. I asked if it could at least be upon request understanding not everyone would use it as a dressing, but nope... measley 1 oz container of extra salsa is way too much to ask. Secondly, they should rename their chicken fajita salad to HAIR Fajita Salad!!!! No joke. This is the SECOND time! Gave them another chance today after the first hair incident on the same take out order a while back. Half way through I found a black hair in the middle. See pic. Calling the place is hit or miss... most times the phone just rings. I am talking about the days when they are open other than Monday. Service has always been absolutely horrendous but today I took a gamble to see if anything would be better. It wasn't. Terrible service, mediocre, bland food and now another lovely surprise...employee DNA! I am out and feel like I'm going to puke! I won't make this mistake a third time. Zero stars... THIS PLACE IS SO FREAKIN GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here's hoping as Springtown grows, a better place will move in and put this one out of business.

We made the mistake of bringing a half empty bottle of water in the restaurant. They made us take it out and back to the car. Then we ordered water and they brought it to the table. Seems like water is water. Teenage girls displaying power and authority with poor attitudes. I asked to get an email address to send some feedback. This sent them in to fighting mode. I never did get a way to send in my feedback. So here it is in this review. We see postings everywhere in here with these three things. Split Plate Charge, $3.99 per split. So for all the senior citizens or any others on fixed incomes trying to budget eating out, this place is charging $3.99 to you, to split a plate. Seems like something that hurts and goes against our seniors and fixed incomers. $4.95 for chips and salsa if anyone at your table does not order an entree meal. So, this place is not for you unless you all are ordering a meal. And lastly, no outside food or drinks. This is the one that bit us today. A half bottle of water we brought in. Not a beer or dairy queen milkshake, just water. We were forced to take it back to the car. Luckily we committed their only crime with no financial punishment. As you can see by the photo, they did not refill our water. Was a bad experience that did not have to be. Brianna. The cashier put the cherry on top when she told me there was no way for me to give feedback. So here is the feedback.

The food is consistent. It's good, sometimes great. So many things on the menu are far too similar. Hard to tell if ya got something different when it arrives to the table. Service is usually pretty quick; probably lots of microwave stuff.
The specials have been pretty good lately and should be available on the menu for better variety.
Customer service here has never been bad in my experience.

We like this place, because it's kind of hidden & not usually so busy that you have to wait. (though we usually go during off hrs anyway).
The food has always been good & the service is equally good. Not overpriced like some other places & the music is low enough to where one can actually hold a conversation.

I came this local restaurant one day because i was working in this town for work. This place had some absolutely delicious food. The staff was awesome and super nice and helpful. I definitely can come back here if I ever find myself here again. The waitress was super nice and the food was delicious. So many great options as well.

Wouldn’t normally leave a review of this nature. But given the fact that we have had an issue in one way or another from picking up a to go order to other experiences I had to. Their manager is absolutely one of the most rude and disrespectful people I’ve ever met. Once was hateful about a pick up order that was ordered and picked up 40 min before closing. And she was upset that it was done so late. The next was being hateful to us while we were there to eat.
Waitresses are very nice !! Loved coming here.used to come a couple times a week. But while she works as management we will not. Not only is she rude to customers but she’s awful to her staff. Even hatefully reprimanded one of the waitresses loudly and in front of people while we were there.
I’m sure good help is hard to find. But do yourself a favor and actually find good help.

I was bringing my family this upcoming weekend but I was just informed that you charge an extra $4 if a plate is shared. I told the pet that can’t be true then I looked online to find a post from one of the employees there trashing one of your customers saying they were, “CHEAP.” Is this true? Do you really jab your customers for an additional $4 for sharing? Are your meals worth more if 2 people share. Please let me know before we show. If it’s true, we will not ever be there.

Group of 16 people 4 different paying parties. Excellent service great food prices no different than any where else. No mix ups will be back

I paid $17 dollars (including $2 tip) for 2 street tacos that included a small side rice and small side beans. Extremely expensive for 2 tacos.
Alex S — Google review
We have been there twice. Their food is pretty good, very good, actually.
My only complaint is that they are somehow stingy with their sides, especially the rice. They should serve more of it.
The atmosphere was nice, except very busy the second time we were there making it kind of loud.

We picked up a lot from here when the restaurants were no dine in. They were always great! We finally went back to dine in this weekend! Did not disappoint! The waiter was super nice. The queso was awesome! And the food was great! We enjoy it here.

Always friendly. And patient, the food is always great. We dine here quite frequently. I have also been here many times with friends for birthday celebrations. We made reservations when the party would be over 10 people. They have always been accommodating. Great food, great people.
Christian Wild West-themed water park with slides, a wave pool & a lazy river, plus a snack bar.
First year at Splash Kingdom with the kiddos and we loved it! They have a section where the water is 1 ft tall and all my kids age 1-5 have a blast right there going down the kid friendly slides and lots of sprinklers to add more fun! Ice cream, pizza, nachos, unlimited sodas for all day stay is the best! The wave pool is also fun especially on friday nights with fireworks and the bubble machine! Can’t wait to go back!
Mamabear — Google review
We have had season passes for a few years now and we really do love Splash Kingdom. However, this past season has been a bit of a bummer. My wife and I have noticed like other reviews it’s becoming a little run down and the park isn’t being taken care of properly. Broken chair and tables, the kiddie area has chipped rocks everywhere making it difficult for us to utilize the area to get to the slides. My husband hurt his toe pretty bad on the cement block that holds up the purple slide. Another little girl the same day as my husbands toe incident got her entire foot caught up under the end of the purple slide and was stuck. I had to physically lift the slide up off the top of her foot. It was terrifying honestly and the lifeguards had no idea it even happened. Minimal double tubes for the bigger slides. Lazy river always has trash and bugs floating around. We would love to continue to get season passes here however if the park looks like it does this year next summer we won’t be returning and purchasing season passes.
Jonathan Copeland — Google review
This is from my daughter-in-law who visited this park with my wife and granddaughter.
“ If I could give 0 stars I would. Disappointment is an understatement. This park is absolutely disgusting and I consider it a health hazard. There are chemicals left out where any adult or child could get into, the lazy river is full of paint chips and dead bugs, the wave pool full of debris, the kiddy area is full of slimy green algae, the tables you sit at to eat have holes in them. My daughter slipped on the algae in the kiddy area and scrapped her leg. A lifeguard put a cone up so no one else would get hurt. Our visit lasted about an hour. Not too sure how anyone can enjoy dirty water for longer than that. We talked to a manager, showed him pictures, and all he could say was “we are working on the tables.” It is by no means cheap to get into this park ($60+ for two adults and a four year old) so we did request a refund. I would not and never will recommend.”
Pat Abell — Google review
With the expanding area I would suggest the park get some more chairs. Unless you are there as the park opens then you will possibly be without chairs and picnic tables to place your things. They are adding more activities so this is a plus👍
Darth Vader — Google review
We visited the water park over the weekend and we’re sad and disappointed how run down and terribly maintained it had become. We entered the park right at opening thinking the pools would be somewhat clean because they had just opened. Boy were we wrong. There were so many bugs and floating debris everywhere. The lazy River looked awful. There were black chips of a paint all in the water. They do not have enough tubes and mats for the blue may ride. They had maybe 10 mats available and those were so badly torn up. Not to mention the trees were hanging over the slide and slapped you in the face as you went down. I was highly disappointed and definitely will NOT be back!!!
Amanda Moore — Google review
We used to enjoy coming to splash kingdom, it has a cute Wild West theme and it was small enough you didn’t have to worry about losing your kids. Over the years the park has gradually become ragged looking and fewer seats ever time we came. Told was the final straw. We came seeking relief from the summer heat and a last hurrah before school started back. We were so miserable having to stand I. The sun holding our things with no were to sit or shade to get out of the sun. We eventually had to go sit by the entrance at a table that looked as if it might crumble just looking at it. My son wanted to read a sign and was yelled at by an employee for doing so. I don’t recommend this park unless you like standing in the sun and not getting to sit anywhere near the water Attractions so you can watch your family. My recommendation to the park is fix you attractions, clean up the park and add more seating. As for everyone else there are better parks to go to which is what I will be doing going else where.

I've taken my kids a few times and it's a pretty nice little water park and great to have in this area. Going on opening Saturday this year was a disaster though. We arrived at 4pm thinking we'd have 3 hours to enjoy the park since it was (and still is) listed as being open until 7pm on Saturday. There was only one person at the ticket window and it took us half an hour to get in. The hour we were there was fun, but at 5:30 they announced that the park was about to close at 6 and for everyone begin leaving. There was lots of confusion and many of the adults got together and confirmed that the website said they're open until 7 on Saturday but the staff wasn't having it. They told us it was a mistake and that the website needed to be updated. I told my son he could keep going on water slides while I went and collected our things but they ended up shutting the slides down at 5:40. As we were leaving there was a family that had just purchased tickets and entered looking very confused that the park was closing.
We purchased season passes so we'll be returning, but many people including my family were very upset and disappointed about this textbook definition of a bait and switch. Literally advertising one thing and providing another. I promised my kids 3 hours at the water park and instead they got 30 minutes of waiting in line to play at the park for an hour. The park was fairly crowded at the time so I'm surprised I'm not seeing more people talking about this since it was not only deceptive but illegal as well.

Did a 7 year olds Birthday party. They lady at entrance gate very very nice. Birthday party setup was not what they told me over the phone. Meal tickets were suppose to be for pizza, hamburger it chicken tenders. They no longer serve hamburgers and they didn’t have pizza so only choice was chicken tenders, half of the kids didn’t even eat. Was told Smiley would be at cabana at 12:30, so I had Al kids sitting there waiting called at 12:45 because kids were ready to get back to the water, he came at 1:00 and took 1 picture and left. Didn’t sing happy birthday or nothing. Should have just paid entrance fee and would basically got the same thing, instead of all the extras. Overall kids did enjoy the waterslide and all. But paid to much for all birthday extras.

We have only been once to this park, but we had a blast. The park is the perfect size for my little family. We absolutely loved the toddler friendly area of the water park. And the lazy river and wave pool were a huge hit for my older kiddos. We definitely have another trip planned to return soon!

Definitely a great waterpark for our family. Kids ages 6&11. We all had things we enjoyed individually and as a group.
Highly recommend and cannot wait for next season to spend way more days there.

2023 season was our last season at this water park. The black paint chips throughout the pool was the last straw. When you get water in your nose and mouth, you are also getting paint chips in your nose and mouth. I see another post where someone slipped on algae, so did my son coming off the tubes slides. My husband was hit in the face with a branch on the mat slides. They did cut the branch after the complaint. The park is dirty (lounge chairs, tables, and grounds), most of that could be taken care of with a power washer. The bathrooms need to be remodeled. The people at the entrance are nice people. I don't like to give such a bad review but be warned that this place is not maintained.

The Granbury City Beach Park is a public beach that is perfect for families. It features sand volleyball courts, swimming access, and a splash pad designed specifically for small children. The beach area is kept clean and the water remains clear even during peak seasons. Additionally, there are shower facilities available to rinse off any sand before leaving the park. Visitors can rent bicycles, kayaks or tubes to explore the area while enjoying outdoor activities.
We swam here as kids in the 70's. Now there's all kinds of things you can rent. Bikes, tubes kayaks etc. Beach is clean and it's right next to the history town square.

This park is next to downtown and small little park , kids play area is on other side of road . Park have sand beach , swimming area , splash station . They have wood walk over lake bridge that is cool and concrete trail along the lake . Sunset view is good & park is safe and clean . Posting some sunset view pic and please Google for more pics . Lots of food options near by and downtown is touristy with lots of goody and icecream shops along restaurants . You will like it .
Entry to park is free and downtown is walkable from park .

My family and I love this beach! It's clean in the sand area, and the water is not super dirty like lakes can be. There is a shower thing so you can rinse off the sand so you don't track too much into your vehicle. Cool perk is the splash pad for babies and small kids!

Granbury is very nice, great waterfront places, restaurants, things to do. The downtown square has many nice shops, restaurants, bench's for old guys like me to sit while waiting on wife shopping. Around town is so much to do too. Nice houses around lake. Loved the restaurants on the water and this one watching fish and ducks fight for food. At Christmas the square is well decorated (prior trip), and horse biggie rides are for hire. Really enjoyable trips.

Found this beach after trying to find some nice beaches in the area. Saw a nice video of it on City of Granbury’s website. When we got there it looked nothing like the video. LOL. I guess our expectations were high. We drove past it once because there’s no proper signage as to where to turn from the main road. Picnic tables were okay, beach and the water was not the cleanest. But we went on a hot day so going in the water definitely brought a cool relief. My tip: don’t watch the video on City of Granbury’s website before going and you’ll be fine.

Great local beach area to take the kids and have a nice family day. Get there early if you want a covered pavilion or table. No glass, no alcohol, no open flames, no dogs... and there's a cop there writing tickets so be careful if you're trying to sneak it in.
Chris Wesley — Google review
Great time today with the family! Our new favorite spot to chill, I was able to get some work done, and then relax in the lake. They had clean restrooms (aside from sand), trash cans near every picnic area, and several metal canopy areas covering a table. They also have a snack bar, Kayak/tube rentals, a mini splash pad, and free parking. No dogs allowed, no grills, no fire pits or fires allowed, and no glass. I'd make sure to read the rules online before just in case. Oh and the sand is HOT... Enjoy!
Monique Navarro — Google review
I'm really glad this beach is here, but I wish there was more effort in maintaining it. There were several dead fish and debris along the shore. The board walk seemed nice, but it was impressive to see the amount of bird poop on it! The boardwalk is almost completely white with bird poop and my focus was on that instead of enjoying the view on the walk across.

Such a neat stop in the center of granbury. Easy to find, decent parking and it connects to the Hilton hotel on the other side. If you were staying at that Hilton you’d be able to walk to the mini beach and pier and relax. It is small but we went on a Saturday and there was plenty of room. They have a little spot for food and drinks, rentals, splash pad, pavilion for shade and picnic and bathrooms. What more could you ask for!

This was such a nice spot, It's fenced all the way around, The water was not too deep in the swimming area. So the kids really had a lot of fun. The bathrooms were open were there. But that's just because it was early season and they were still closed for winter.

Beautiful and clean beach with a nice long boardwalk to enjoy the gorgeous views. The entire park is very family friendly. There is plenty of parking space. The beach is right next to the downtown square. There is also a nice shower area to clean up after the swim.

Very nice clean sandy beach! Very safe, water has sand bottom so water shoes not necessary. No alcohol, dogs, or grills - kind of a bummer. Very much like a playground at a city park in terms of super family friendly, not like your typical North Texas lake beach with tons of people partying balls. Very, very great for little kiddos.
This place was great for the wife and I and our 6 kids. We learned a lot and enjoyed the local history. The artifacts were upclose and the stagecoaches were cool, they brought the old west stories to life. We homeschool, so this was apart of history for the kids. Plus it was FREE.

What a wonderful place for Weatherford and Parker County. I've attended lectures here as well as just visiting to see the displays and I've never been disappointed. The staff members are always knowledgeable about Parker County history and very helpful.

We visited on a Sunday and the staff was very helpful. We are moving to the area and the straff gave us all kinds of info that we really needed for reference including of information on Granbury and other Texas destinations (several large display with pamphlets galore). Also a public restroom and an icy-cold drinking fountain. Just steps from the square! We were able to sit and cool off while we talked which was wonderful.

The gentleman at the desk was only interested in giving information for the boutiques.
My friend and I were only interested in historical places.
We found the Jail..a Cabin in walking distance from the jail..the Train Depot, all with ladies who gave so much information on the history of each site..and the
beautiful burial site Davy Crockett had erected for his
beloved wife. And..we walked the Square around the historical
Courthouse, filled with little shops of assorted interests.
Granbury is a nice little town to spend a day in. Would have liked to have had dinner in one of the restaurants overlooking the water but temps over 100 took away the desire.

Sleepy hollow was a great performance. The actors were so talented but there is room for much improvement. First of all the school building was so hot. Fans could be placed high in the corners. Second, show was a bit too long. Children got tired and bored. Perhaps cutting it back by a few songs. Third, audience should get more involved. Perhaps, giving them a tambourine to play as well. They can be found at a dollar store (and collected at some point by passing around baskets). Make it to where one audience member keeps there’s (planned of course) & it can be comical, trying to find where sound is coming from as the member continues to play once it’s silent & all the tambourines have been collected. Audience can also be forced to sing some of the parts. Again, for comical purposes, have someone sing out of turn for fun. There’s a lot of possibilities to make it more humorous and active among audience.

Waited almost an hour for the trolley at one of the "supposed" stops on the website. The tracking for the trolley showed an ETA of 308pm and at 4pm the ETA was 424pm so we gave up. Showed to just be stuck at different stops around downtown. According to the holiday schedule it showed to be operating from 10am to 6pm.

Great informative place, the staff is friendly, serving hot coffee and donuts. They had information on how to spend great time in the area! Itineraries, entertainments venues, sports and recreation advice on lake granbury information, tours and unique attractions and events. They are right in downtown Historic Granbury. Plenty of parking behind their building.
The Hood County Museum is an 1885 historic town jail that showcases numerous artifacts and offers tours of both the cells and sheriff's quarters. The museum is a must-visit for history enthusiasts with its plethora of informative displays, while others will appreciate the unique architecture of the upstairs jail. Additionally, visitors can immerse themselves in ghost stories connected to the building's past.
The Hood County Jail and Historical Museum was such a great find! It was surprisingly dog friendly, although we held our little terriers most of the tour. The docents there are very knowledgeable and passionate about the Jail history and the history of Hood County. Upstairs has the jail holding areas, and downstairs has the old sheriff's quarters. There is also a few rooms that are dedicated more to Hood County history and have a museum feel to it. Our docent was super friendly and also took us over to see the historical cabin a few doors down. Highly recommended for any history buff!

This was the highlight of my time in Granbury! This was so much more than A historic jail museum: every square inch was full of artifacts, photographs, relics, articles, and stories about this quaint little town’s past. The jail is amazing. I haven’t seen a jail like it. The tour guides were very knowledgeable in the history of the county. If you like history then there is lots to read and see in this museum. If history doesn’t interest you then I would still go just to see the upstairs jail because it is very unique. There are also lots of ghost stories associated with the building. You could possible run into one of these ghost when you are there.

The Granbury Opera House is a renovated historical venue that hosts live musicals, comedies and educational programs. The seating is intimate with great sound quality and no bad seats in the house. However, outside food is not allowed but water bottles are permitted for drinking. The staff is courteous and the facilities including restrooms are well-maintained. There are ushers at every entrance to guide visitors. Tickets sell out fast because of rotating seasonal shows, so it's advisable to purchase them early.
Not a bad seat in the house and the sound quality was top notch. This was my first time here and I will definitely be returning! No outside food allowed and only water bottles for drinking. Small intimate seating and ushers at every entrance. The shows rotate with the seasons so buy your tickets early, as they do sell out fast. Also, parking is a bit to navigate so allow extra time as not to rush or be late.

I had been such a fan of the Opera House and have visited many times.... until today. I purchased several tickets that were cancelled due to COVID and was told I could get a refund or use the tickets later... I used 4 of my 6 tickets. I called last Saturday to use my remaining 2 tickets, that I have already paid for, after looking online to see that there were several OPEN AVAILABLE SEATS but was told that my tickets had expired, guess I should have gotten the refund instead of saving them. What dumbfounds me is that the Granbury Opera House would rather have open seats opposed to seating continuous paying patrons. As I was explaining this to the two individuals over the phone, I stated that I would not continue to be a paying patron after being refused my tickets (of which I PAID for!), I was literally told "we will be better off without you".... I had been very nice to these individuals up to this point however, my following words were not so nice after that comment. I am honestly shocked! They requested that I be sure to add that they sent out emails informing patrons that the tickets would expire. I do not read every email that goes to my junk mailbox, who does? Despite the emails, again, there were open seats within just two hours of the show AND they didn't mind keeping my money that I had already paid. Bad business ethics on your part Granbury Opera House!

Went to see Reza the illusionist and it was a very good show and very entertaining. There was a slight problem with his computer effects system but that did not detract from his show. This is the first time I have been there for an event and it was a great experience.

Beautiful venue. Although the chairs are not plus sized friendly. The top, which we were located, was a nice view but if you can get bottom floor seating I definitely recommend you do so as when the actors come out to the audience they only walk around on the floor seats. The building itself had such beautiful workmanship! The chandeliers were magnificent! They also have a elevator as well as a very small concession stand that will be selling wine and beer soon from what the announcer said before our show played. For two small bags of popcorn and some Oreos it's was $9.
The performance we went to see was Matilda and what a wonderful cast it was! Wish I would've been able to take a couple of photos with the cast with my little one but we decided to go next door to the little candy shop and try the Matilda chocolate shake, which was only like $6 and absolutely worth it!
All in all of you get the chance to come and watch a play put on by these amazing actors I for one think you should definitely by those floor seat tickets and enjoy the show!
I love the history and all the historic buildings in downtown Granbury! It's so beautiful. A great place to walk around and shop! Such a great place to walk around, enjoying a car show!

This is such an amazing small historic town. Wished I could have explored more. The town has done such a wonderful job on restoring the town and it is a bustling area. A must see if you're traveling close by.

We've been here a few times. There are fewer historic town squares in Texas that are as filled with life and activity as the one in Granbury. Wonderful restaurants and interesting things to see and do. We were most recently here for their "Living Christmas Card" event.

We went here during Oktoberfest. Granbury has a quaint and beautiful downtown with a lot of boutique stores and restaurants. The courthouse is gorgeous and one of the best we have seen in Texas.
There is a music theater that was closed when we visited but will definitely come back as it seemed majestic.
You can easily find a parking spot no matter how busy it is here as the square is huge and there are parking around the courthouse and across the streets.

Visiting for the annual Wine Walk event and this town never disappoints! Such great shops, wineries and a wonderful theater! With so much to do, see and taste there’s no reason to even leave the downtown square! Already looking forward to next years event!

Lots of boutiques, at least one bakery, a few restaurants including Babe's , some unique stores, historic courthouse, places to drink wine, galleries, jewelry, and a theater. Also lots of cobblestone, so wear comfy shoes. A cute place that sells quilts and placemats, too.

Picturesque place!
Quaint Texan town with a lot of historic value, a beautiful city beach park, cute lil artisan cafes and an eclectic mix of rural + suburban landscapes.
Must visit for the wonderful scenery.

Since it was Easter Sunday everything was closed except 2 Art Gallerirs and 2 places to eat. My wife and I liked Granbury a lot. The people there were very friendly. We plan to go there soon. They told us it's better to go there from Wednesday thru Saturday.
Christmas time on the square was beautiful with all the lighted trees, the Christmas tree, buildings all lit up and the little nativity along with candles in the courthouse windows and the stars at the top of the courthouse! Way to go Weatherford! U really dressed up for the Holidays! Made me proud to b a resident!

I photographed a wedding at the Parker County Courthouse. Not only was it a beautiful historic courthouse with its beautiful architecture, everyone was welcoming and Kind. From the security guard welcoming us, to the Court Coordinator also welcoming us with a tour of the courthouse and where photos could be taken. Then there was Country Judge Deen, so down to earth, humble, and you would of thought this was just a casual family visit. He sat down my couple in his office and just talked. The way he slowed down the rush and nerves of getting married was a huge shift for my couple. He took his time and care in marrying the couple. For the many weddings at courthouse, we are usually rushed in and out. Judge Deen took his time as though he was expecting important guests. He introduced himself to the family and even me, the photographer. He prayed with the family, took time to give the newlywed advice, and invited us to continue taking pictures in the courthouse. This was impressive and I know meant a lot to the newlywed and their family. The courthouse is located in a busy roundabout, so all the cars and trucks were hooking to celebrate the newlyweds! Thank you Parker County Courthouse for one amazing moment and making their wedding greater than we expected.

The town of weatherford is steep in history as well as parker county courtlhouse. There have been droves of weddings and historical figures passing through these halls. It is a well preserved and beautiful building anchoring the town right from the center of it all. You can see this building from all sides of town.

Absolutely amazing! Astonishing! What an amazing experience! Everybody that works here is so nice. The exhibits are wonderful and world-renowned. I absolutely love this place and I cannot wait to come back and I look forward to taking friends and family that visit here from out of town.

Great experience for littles and bigs. They have a little bit of everything to satisfy your needs from Isaiah scrolls, to dinosaur fossils. Our favorite was the replica of Noah's ark. The children's area was closed 😢 I wish it would've been a little bigger but for the price it wasn't bad at all.

The displays were created to be enjoyed by young & old with no gimmicks or commercializm. We walked through it very thoughtfully & sat to watch 1 of their videos too. We hadn't expected to see an actual lab where they were carrying out tests for verification of new fossils. This place seems to be off the beaten trail but it's worth putting it on your list of places to visit.

This was a huge blessing to my family!!! We visited family in Waco and took the trip to see the dinosaur footprint fossils and stopped at CEM first. We spent about 2 hours here and barely scratched the surface of the amounts on information contained in this museum. It's a blessing they thoughtfully placed it just before the Dinosaur State Park. This will boost your faith in Christ and expose a non-believer to new thoughts.

Wonderful museum. I'm so thankful for a museum that I can take my children to that shares knowledge from a biblical worldview. The place could use a little updating but I know that costs money which they may not have in excess. The videos they show are long but worth the watch.

If you are a creationist, you will love it. If you are an evolutionist or Darwinian, visit if you dare. You will at least be impressed with the huge number of exhibits and the research equipment. Plan on staying at least a couple of hours.

Regardless of your beliefs on creationism, this is a pretty neat museum right next to the Dinosaur Valley State Park. It has lots of nicely done exhibits which include dinosaur replicas, fossils, a working paleontology lab, models, historical documents and records, gift shop, and a small theater where they give talks (first Saturday of the month) and show films. During my visit, I got to meet Mr. Carl Baugh who is the founder of the museum and he was a genuinely nice guy who believes in what he's trying to do with his museum. So again, regardless of your beliefs, I think this is a good place to visit and it's worth a stop if you're in the area.

Great little museum! There is a lot to see with some unique and historical items. Very awesome to see and hear about scientific evidence proving creation. One of the scientists was sweet and talked to us about their current experiments and projects. Worth stopping if you have the time!!

I stumbled in here on accident while visiting the Dinosaur park down the street.
I was impressed with the way they laid out creationism. I know many of the reviews are from an evolutionary criticism but they did a great job laying out the case for creation.
The exhibits were thoughtful and informative.
There’s so many gaps in what science can and cannot explain; I feel the museum did a great justice to defending the biblical worldview.

One of the archeologists took the time to sit and discuss some of the finds with us. She was so pleasant and knowledgeable. We were surprised that they had so many exhibits. We have been to the Creation Museum in Kentucky, and even they didn't have some of the incredible finds there that we found in the Glen Rose Creation Museum. What a great little place.
Over 150 life-size models in natural outdoor settings, plus a fossil dig, playground, museum & more.
Perfect experience for our group; 3yo, 4yo, 14yo and 2 adults! All the plaques are easy to read and full of good information. The mineral buckets were super fun and a great bargain! They have a gift shop with tons of options, moving dinosaurs inside and a great mostly shaded walk through dinosaurs!

This place is amazing to go to, not just for kids but for adults as well. My 4yr old daughter has been talking about going here for over a year now and we finally got to go with my mom and two nieces and we all had a blast. They have a huge play ground, their museum was fantastic with the animatronic dinosaurs, meteorites, fossil's, all kinds of different teeth, tusk's, and more. The dinosaur walk path was great. I would recommend anyone that hasn't been to make the trip it's worth it and everyone will have fun. The prices are not as bad as I thought they would be. It was not crowded at all, and there is a pond with fish you can get food for and feed. And you have to check out the gift shop they have it's just amazing and have all kinds of neat stuff to get from toys to jewelry, to beautiful stones, fossil's, and gems.
Jesse Dufur — Google review
We had a great time. Most of the fun stuff does cost quite a bit of money though. But I think it was worth it. When we were there, they had some paleontologists teach us about different bones! It was a bummer to drive as far as we did only to have the museum closed for the owner's private party. Kind of annoying. You would think they could have at least discounted the entry ticket. But I think we would go again. Hopefully the museum is open next time.

Took our 3 yo grandson there. It was great. There was a place to dig for bones, a long hike with lots of replicas, a huge playground, mini golf, digging for fossils, and a museum with animotronic dinosaurs (a little scary for him). You could easily bring a sack lunch and spend a good chunk of the day there. We went early before the school buses arrived. It will definitely tire kids out. Good for older kids as well. Even educational for us as well.

Came up from Houston for the day and the kids had a great time. Prices were reasonable for the fossil dig and gem mining 💎 ⛏️ my oldest (5) had more fun than my youngest (2.5) but the gift shop was well-staffed and the souvenirs weren’t exorbitant like I expected. Museum had a cool assortment of animatronic dinosaurs which my youngest thought were real so that was fun lol. Will come again in a couple years when they’re older. Great playground!

Dinosaur World is a cool and educational exhibit featuring a walking trail filled with dinosaur statues, an indoor museum with fossils and ending with animatronic dinosaurs, a children's playground, a picnic area and a vast gift shop. I'd say the dinosaur statues along the self-guide trail is more of artistic installations than anatomically / scientifically accurate dinosaur statues (look at the spinosaurus exhibit, for example). But regardless, they are really cool and really fun, especially for young'uns hitting their dinosaur phase. Dinosaur World is way out in Glen Rose, so depending on where you are visiting from, it can be quite the drive (we drove from Dallas, on a Saturday morning and it took us exactly 2 hours taking tolls whenever possible). The park can get hot, 92° when we went, so plan accordingly and bring plenty of ice cold water and a picnic basket as there are no snack shop on the ground. We had a lot of fun, we spent about 1.5 hours total before hitting up the Whataburger down the street. We'll definitely return, but we plan to stay over the weekend and visit the Dinosaur Valley State Park and Dinosaur World on separate days.

Nice adventurous place to have fun with kids. They will enjoy about half a mile walk around the park (outdoors), indoor museum to learn history, mining, or fossil digging. Entry could be a little expensive depending on how many people are visiting and is the reason for a 4 star review.

We went to this park the day after thanksgiving in the way back home. My 3 year old was so excited he couldn’t be still and was running down the path like a maniac. The dinosaurs were all so cool with info on each, there were fun and cute games and interactive activities on both ends of the trail as well as a great park. This is the first park I’ve ever seen with so many options for families to have a seat during their stay. And of course, the gift shop was a lot of fun. We got several things there as well. We spent a lot of time in the middle of the trail on the dock feeding the fish and turtles. This was such an adorable place to go and I’m so glad we stopped by. We talked about it many times since we left and intend on going again in the near future.

Definitely for children. Do not go as a grown person expecting something really cool and magical.
There is a small museum and animatronics section which was cool and kind of scary because they would twitch. They have a gem dig that seemed popular (have to purchase dirt bag) and mini golf section (free with admission I think). Each hole for the mini golf is about 4 feet long and each hole looks almost the same.
The rest of the park is just a horseshoe trail of some plastic dinosaurs in the grass. Some of them look really cool if you believe.
Fossilized footprints along a river, plus 2 life-sized dinosaur models on 1,587 scenic acres.
Great park! The state website has track mapes you can use to find the footprints. Don't be afraid to wade into the water to get a better look. The park is well managed and clean. Even though it was spring break most of the traffic was near the river. We only passed a few people when we were out on the loop trails. Some of the trail sections are dirt but most of it is pretty rocky. Wear good shoes if you want to hike away from the river. We will be back :)

We recently took our first hike of the year at this park. This park was beautiful!! Lots of trails, with scenic views. Most trails are super easy to navigate. You can experience the river, plains, prairie, and forested areas on the same group of trails. We did the overlook trail and it took us to the top where you can see all of the plains, it is breathtaking. I would definitely recommend you make reservations in advance. There are many other trails a swim hole and a store when you first come int to the park, you can also camp and stay overnight. I 100% recommend you check it out. Bring water shoes, lots of water and snacks.

I wanted to check out this place because it's so well known in DFW. I can see the appeal of why it is popular. However, I came on the wrong day. There was a race going on in the park, so I could hear a lot of cheering on the trails I took. And there were a lot of families with kids running around. I love that there are families enjoying nature. My family introduced me to state parks as a kid too, which is part of the reason why I love hiking now. However, I got no solitude at all from my time here. I couldn't walk more than a few hundred feet without coming across another human being. The popularity of the park took away from my experience. It may be more calm at a different time. I get that. So it likely was just poor timing on my part. But I think I'll avoid really popular parks moving forward.

Love the small, wooded campsite, the wildflowers, swimming in the river! Definitely a great place to visit and relax with kids, even if the dino tracks aren’t visible when you’re there. We stayed in site 22, and it was bordered on both sides by brush, shady and private. Good neighboring sites would be both 16 and 23. Both are also shady, but 23 is not bordered on both sides by brush/trees. There is a paved walkway to the shower house between sites 25 and 26.

We enjoyed our visit to Dinosaur Valley State Park. When we went there, the park was celebrating its 50th Anniversary on the Columbus day weekend. So there was a long line of cars but the staff handled the traffic very efficiently and we were easily able to find our designated parking spot.
We were handed a map which had all the tracks and trails marked so it was up to us to decide which trail we wanted to hike.
The tracks were spectacular to look at. Especially the rock formations and the limestone boulders were very picturesque. We did the scenic overlook trail which had nice views of the entire state park from the top. The hike was steep and slippery on some parts but mostly easy. So we recommend wearing waterproof hiking boots to enjoy both climbing as well as finding tracks in the water.
We also recommend to carry water bottles and some snacks as the park is big and you will lose track of time.
Abundant parking is available throughout the park. We will definitely be coming back.

Dinosaur Valley State Park is an awe-inspiring destination that takes visitors on a journey back in time to when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. Nestled along the scenic Paluxy River in Glen Rose, Texas, this park is a haven for dinosaur enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. The highlight of the park is undoubtedly the well-preserved dinosaur tracks found along the riverbed, allowing visitors to walk in the footsteps of these ancient creatures. The immersive experience of seeing these tracks up close is truly remarkable and offers a unique perspective on the prehistoric world. Additionally, the park offers a range of outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, and swimming, making it an ideal destination for adventure and relaxation amidst stunning natural surroundings.
The beauty of Dinosaur Valley State Park extends beyond its dinosaur tracks. With its sprawling landscapes, lush forests, and picturesque river views, the park is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts seeking tranquility and natural beauty. The well-maintained trails offer opportunities for scenic hikes through diverse ecosystems, where visitors can spot a variety of wildlife and bird species. The park's campsites provide a serene escape, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the peacefulness of nature. Whether you're exploring the dinosaur tracks, enjoying a picnic by the river, or simply taking in the breathtaking scenery, Dinosaur Valley State Park is a true gem that offers a perfect blend of adventure, education, and natural wonders.

Visiting Dinosaur Valley State Park was an experience of mixed emotions. The park itself appeared beautiful, that should have taken us back to a time when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. The iconic dinosaur tracks are a must-see, offering a tangible connection to prehistoric life. However, our trip was somewhat marred by the fact that many of the trails were closed, limiting our ability to explore the park fully.
While the available trails did offer some enjoyment, the closures were a significant letdown, especially for avid hikers like us looking for a full day of adventure. The visitor center was informative, and the staff were friendly, but it couldn’t completely make up for the restricted access.
Despite the setbacks, we hiked the couple miles of trail that were open. I’d recommend checking trail availability in advance if you’re planning a trip. It's a fantastic park under normal circumstances, but our experience was not as enriching as we had hoped.

Just visited this amazing park for the second time on September 30, 2023. It’s simply incredible—hundreds of dinosaur footprints made by at least 5 different species over 100 million years ago when the limestone river bed was a muddy seashore or saltwater marsh. In addition to the river, where you can walk and hike when the water level’s down, there’s also miles of excellent hiking and walking trails throughout the park that offer easy to moderately difficult hiking and scenic views from the limestone cliffs overlooking the river. Adults and children love this place because it’s beautiful, fascinating, and there’s lots to do.

Wow. Great experience. Knowledgeable rangers, engaged and enthusiastic. The hiking was fun, the river and rocky shoreline picturesque, and the dinosaur footprints- amazing! We camped there (primitive) and our campsite was fantastic. Set in the woods, large, had a high hook for storing trash/food off the ground, and a nice set up for a grill/fire ring. Super family friendly…we have already made plans to head back again.

The park was great! Only 1 camping loop (non primitive). Some of the spots were very close together so make sure you look at pictures. (If your going with friends may be cool to be 1 ft away.) Bathrooms were clean. The trails were closed due to rain when we got there 1/5/24 and 1/6/24. We we hiked around inner trails, to gift shop and dinosaur models. We then took a trip to Dinosaur World. (See that review for more info). On 1/7/24 we got coffee and hot chocolate with the rangers and talked by the fire. (Recommend cowboy coffee). We took a long hike and met up for the Tracks Talk. I recommend doing this as we would have had trouble finding the tracks without the ranger pointing them out. She explained the history of the park and the dinosaurs. There are miles of trails but most were closed. Several parks as well.

I came here today for the first time and brought my kids with me. We were super excited to see the dinosaur tracks and go swimming in the river. The kids had a blast in the river while I did all the work searching for the tracks. I was able to find two of them so that was super cool for us to see. We had a blast swimming. It was freezing like ice but we eventually adjusted to it a little. I would highly recommend wearing water shoes as there's parts in it that has a lot of rocks. The views were breath taking though! We loved it and are glad to get to add it to our experiences!

I've enjoyed visiting and camping here at Dinosaur valley State Park since I was a child. I enjoy the camping areas with the electric and water outlets, clean restrooms and showers are nearby. There is also primative camping near the river and horse trails. The trails range from easy to moderate and some areas have dinosaur tracks. The rangers are informative about the park and the park has areas with historical information posts. The sceneries are absolutely beautiful to walk through and look at — nature photographers would definitely enjoy the natural views and lookout points. One of my favorite seasons to visit is during the Fall and beginning of Winter. IF you are going to try and camp near the holidays... best to make reservations well in advance as the park fills up quickly.

I’ve lost count of how many times we’ve been here but it never disappoints. We had a wonderful RV site for our trailer with plenty of shade. The Paluxy was low on water but we enjoyed walking in the low parts and looking at the dinosaur tracks. The rocks are slippery so take caution when traversing them. Make sure you get a spot that fits your trailer since some of the spots are small.

It is a must-see and must-do adventure waiting for you and your family and friends. Had an absolute blast Saturday evening and Sunday morning checking out the dinosaur tracks. The adults were just as giddy as the children seeing the drought revealed tracks. Wished my grown sons were with us because the tracks were underwater years ago when we first tried to see them. Be sure to make a reservation because many people want to see the dinosaur tracks before the rain returns.

This is a beautiful park with an extensive amount of things to do, We spent 4 days here and still didn't get around to seeing/doing everything.
Of course the dinosaur tracks make for the main attraction, and the dinosaurs were especially amazing for my dinosaur-loving toddler.
The Blue Hole was great for swimming, and there was a beach area to set up on.
Swimming at Rock Beach was fun too, and the sandy beach area was perfect for relaxing. The river bed was pretty mucky, though, making it less appealing for swimming.
There are miles of trails for exploring, with varying difficulty levels. A lot of these trails are shaded, too, which is great during the hotter part of the day.
Campsites were roomy and well kept. We stayed at campsite 20, which backed up to trails leading to Rock Beach and river access.
Bathrooms and showers were quite nice.

Made reservations when the talk of the town was that the dry weather uncovered many tracks not viewed in years. Well, my luck brought lots of rain just before my stay which covered all the tracks and closed all the trails! We still had fun camping though. This is a beautiful park and is probably the best maintained that I have been to in many years. Staff was super friendly and offered needed advice. restrooms and showers were heated and welcomed on this freezing weekend. I plan to come back when it gets dry again to see the tracks.

If you drive 2 hours to see dinosaur stuffs, you will be disappointed. Yes there are some footprints in the river, not many, but that’s about it. It’s a beautiful scenic river. And the park is a great place for hiking camping and dipping into water.
Tip: drive south 8 miles to Fossil Rim Wildlife Center to have some cool interactions with wild animals.

We spent a day in the park and it was amazing experience hiking and exploring the park. The rangers are very friendly and experienced. Look for events on thier website to explore more about the park. Plenty of parking , if u arrive later after 10 am on a weekend, it may take sometime to check in . Only suggestion I have for everyone is to prepare lot of hydration yourself when you plan to hike . The hikes are mid-level difficulties and plenty of places in between to rest. Picnic tables and remote restrooms are limited. Pets are welcome on hikes and parks as long as they are on leash.

Loved it! Seeing actual dinosaur prints in person was amazing. The park is beautifully kept and easy to get around even for first time visitors. It does have a limit on how many visitors can go in so make a reservation online. Bring your walking shoes and prepare to get them wet or in my case take them off to cross the stream to the dinosaur prints. Totally worth it! We also enjoyed the solar viewing where we got to see real time solar flares and sun spots which was really cool. And the hiking trails were great and well marked. Highly recommended!

We went super early to avoid crowds and did a self guided tour. My biggest learning is even if tracks are “visible” they may still be under water. Luckily we were in hiking shorts. Be prepared to get wet if the water is up.
I would recommend a rager hosted talk or guided tour.
Avoid the “Creationist Museum” on the way to the park. Luckily it always appears closed.

Lots of trails to explore and things to see. Several Nice picnic areas. Prepare to spend the day here. Reservations are recommended because they will cut off visitors when it’s full. We barely made it in.

This is a pretty park with lots of nature trails. We visited in early April and most of the tracks were under water, so be sure to bring wading shoes, shorts, and a towel.
Some of the trails looked like they weren’t maintained. Overall, a positive experience!

Absolutely fantastic Texas State Park. Awesome, friendly staff, nice Campground, clean bathrooms. We stayed in December and loved hunting for all the Dinosaur tracks. Used our e-bikes to travel around the park. Also plenty of hiking trails. A giftshop and store was also available. At&t cell was spotty.

Lovely place. We went to the park to watch the total solar eclipse that was the event of the decade. The park had set up some telescopes from volunteers, were educating kids, and were handing out eclipse glasses. Kudos the team there for having parking space for all of us to have a good view for the eclipse. We didn’t really have time to explore the park for the dinosaur fossils. But hopefully we will be able to see them the next time we are there.
Mahi (Jabberfoodwocky) — Google review
Great park we visited here from Late March to Early April, the camp ground stays busy continuously, sites are close to each other so there is no privacy, some of the tables and fire pits are joined at the hip, great for a family event and need a couple of sites.
Bathroom is clean 2 stalls and 2 urinals, showers in separate door 3 stalls, only one restroom per gender in the camping loop of 45 sites so it can be busy in the afternoon.
There is a restroom at the HQ bldg and another one at the day use area.
90% of the trails are across the river, and have a potential to be closed after rains.
All 3 river crossings are about ankle deep to mid thigh depending on the trail you choose.
We enjoyed our stay, staff was extremely friendly and helpful and accommodating.
The only bad thing I had was the port-a-potty by the dinosaur tracks was filled to the brim with waste it seems that it would be cleaned out more often than it had been.
Course was great as well as staff. Stayed at the club after for a few drinks and the service was beyond expectations. Didn’t catch names unfortunately but the 2 ladies at the bar went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Will definitely be back

Enjoyed a round at Sugar Tree Golf Club, and while the fairways were beautifully manicured, I found navigation challenging on a few holes as a first-time player. Despite this, the course offers a serene setting and enjoyable gameplay for golfers of all levels
BadAss Chick — Google review
Good course. Well maintained and great price. I would say that it is challenging primarily because there are a lot of trees and fairly narrow fairways, blind shots and pins.
Kenny H — Google review
First time playing. Played the tips for reference. Plenty of blind tee shots, tight driving holes, cool layout, greens are good, and a lot of fun imo. Friendly staff but I’m also overly critical as it relates to playing conditions so don’t let this review deter you. If you are a decent to above average golfer you will enjoy. I will be back and I will play it again but I believe 5* is very difficult to achieve for a public golf course without unlimited funds.
Brandon Koke — Google review
Played 4/16 and not only was the day beautiful but the course in great shape. Greens were green and soft. Beautiful challenging layout. People are friendly and Jody special at the eatery was great. My new favorite course. Well worth the drive.

Wonderful course, but unless you are an excellent golfer you will find this course very challenging. Bring extra golf balls as you will need them.
Mark Long — Google review
I've played this course alot. It helps that I live right down the road. They are continually making improvements to the course through the years. Tight course! I like the new Par 5's and clearing of trees on certain spots on the course. Especially the Par 5 running along the Brazos. Greens are great. Highly recommend Sugarbush!! Get involved!
William Eric — Google review
As an avid golfer having played most of the courses in Tarrant, Parker, and Denton counties, this course is truly special; full of character and challenge, with some especially scenic holes along the Brazos. The course is in good shape considering the time of year and makes me really look forward to summer. For all of you who prefer a tough but fair golf course, SugarTree is special. Best course in Parker County… For now.

This place was awesome.
Beautiful and definitely challenging. Much different than im used to. Can't wait to play again.
Could use more signs on the holes to know which tee box it is but really wasnt super hard to figure out. This is what keeps it from a 5 star for me. 4.5 in my book.
The scorecards dont show the layout of the course. Shows each hole but not like an Ariel view.
I liked the layout. Not Much room for error but as long as you are relaxed you will enjoy your round. Would take a few times to really get used to it .
Staff was welcoming and respectful.
SAM Castañeda — Google review
Played here for the first time on 5/15/21 and it was great. Greens were very well kept, not too hard, and the fairways were emaculate. The back 9 was more difficult for me but I was a little off all day. Will definitely be coming back in the future
Blake Thompson — Google review
Course was in great shape.. Its definitely a course you need to play a few times, tight, blind shots, small greens and difficult greens to read.
It's a great challenge and worth the trip.
This place is family run and open on Mondays! We made the mistake of visiting Granbury on Monday, when most restaurants and wineries are closed #newbies. We were in luck that Bluff dale is open Mondays. Made the trip worthwhile. We had a tasting of five delicious wines for $10! They ranged from sweet to slightly dr. That price for good wine is pretty hard to beat. Their cheese was a bit overpriced for what you get $8, but the cheese itself is really good. The service and owners were friendly and quick. They had cute decor and a really nice ambience. Their vineyards made for a beautiful setting.
Definite must stop if youre in the area!

I didn't realize I'd tried their wine at Grapefest before, until I saw their labels, which are very distinct. I legitably enjoyed their White Cliff wine, which is very reasonably priced. They were out of a couple of wines, so I can't say how I like all of their wine. However, I did like several. Just not all of them. However, that's okay. You don'tneedto love all the wines at a winery. Their building/view is great. Definitely recommend visiting if you want to visit a more secluded winery.

Amazing experience!! If I could come every weekend I would! Very helpful and knowledgeable staff! I loved this experience.
One of the most beautiful gardens I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. They were even kind enough to provide a home for one of our wild rehabbed red eared slider turtles from our reptile rescue Living Wild Outside. I went and checked on her today and she is still happy and healthy. Thank you Clark Gardens for making this world a beautiful place!

OMG!! We took the 1 1\2 hour tour on the golf cart with Beverly as our guide! It... was... wonderful!! She was wonderful!! We got to see the gardens without all the walking. Mainly because we had two beautiful women in their 80's that faired better not walking! She stopped so many times and let us take pictures and told us all the history about the beginning, the owners and everything in between! What a great day!

Beautiful park with tons of nature, trees, plants, ducks, peacocks. so much acreage to explore and ponds and sights to see. the area is large and can get easy to get lost but that is simply because there is so much to offer. the gardens are deep in weatherford so expect a drive. there may be weddings and if that is the case you will unfortunately miss out on a beautiful part of the gardens so be wary to not tread close to the venue while exploring out parts of the garden. there were peacocks roaming and beautiful orange fishes.

Beautiful gardens to spend the day at. I can see why couples would want to use the Gardens for their wedding. I went during one of their festivities, and I had a wonderful time visiting with local vendors and sampling their offerings. The Gardens also sell their plants for a fantastic price

Clark Gardens is a must see. To truly experience all of it I suggest scheduling a whole day. I'm fortunate to have watched it flourish over the last 15 years.
Aside from the thriving ecosystem there is a wedding chapel that can be rented. There is building dedicated to an extraordinary model train display that will wow children and adults alike.

Don’t be discouraged by the three stars. We had a very pleasant walk around the gardens in early March and were very aware that this was way too early in the season for many flowers. However, we have walked through botanic gardens in many cities and states and Clark Gardens has likely seen much better days. They are in desperate need of about 100 volunteers and two or three substantial sponsors/endowments. Having said all that let me repeat that it is certainly worth a visit and if we are in the area again we would go back.

Have visited as a patron and garden lover, as well as a wedding vendor. The landscape is beautifully maintained with winding pathways that lead to new suprises around every turn. It's a lovely place to host a wedding, with quarters for the bridal suite , large areas to have a tent reception, and a sweet chapel for the ceremony! Passion Flowers has enjoyed providing florals here and appreciate the friendly staff and carts available for use!
I highly recommend this place for a day outing or event space!

Andrea Barrows — Google review
Clark Gardens truly is a labor of love. I see the dedication and hard work that has gone into it over the years, and the story behind the build really spoke to us. The garden was much bigger than expected, and my favorite parts were: the White Garden (very emotional), the model train setup (I’m not even into trains and this part was so fun!), Conifer Way, and all the little islands in the middle of the ponds. I do believe we even got to wave at Mr. Clark as he drove by on a golf cart—the pamphlet said he is 93 and still works out there every day! That is amazing. If you live in the DFW area (or are visiting) Clark Gardens is worth a visit!

My family usually goes to the season opener featuring the train show. This year did not disappoint! Lots of trains, not only the special setup, but also the permanent Clark Gardens outdoor G Scale layout. Of course the plants are starting to recover from the hot summer, so it is always great to see them. The favorite spot for my wife and I is the secret area under the waterfall with the wisteria. We always spend some time there together listening to the water, enjoying the cool, and the pretty view. Our other spot is the beautiful chapel where she and I exchanged wedding vows before our official marriage. We always consider that date our anniversary where we committed ourselves to each other in God's house. If anyone is looking for a peaceful stroll with nice views, Clark Gardens is a great choice!
Scenic area featuring trails to town, camping areas & mineral-rich waters for swimming.
I loved this park. We stayed for a couple of days where we were able to hike two trails. One of which was right on the lake and the other one went along the river. The trails were maintained and well marked. The campground itself is beautiful. There are several sites that are right on the lake. There were quite a few people camping here, even in January but it never seemed crowded or loud. I felt very safe in this campground, and would love to come back during warmer weather.

My family had an awesome fun time fishing and swimming at this park. The scenery of the water is so stunning and since the park is so big, you should prepare for a couple of days to explore the vast land. The amenities of the park also include camping, kayaking, walking the trails, geochacheing, birdwatching and bonus 🧗♀️ rock climbing/repelling.

We stayed in the Post Osk campground and loved it. Even though there were campsites around us, it felt semi-private. Sites were big and laid out nicely. I was happily surprised that they didn't have a fire ban. The town of Mineral Wells is less than 2 miles up the road, which was great because we needed a couple of things.
The Penitentiary Hollow trail was a nice hike and the best in the Park.
Restrooms were well kept.
I didn't give 5 stars for 2 reasons:
1) The other hiking trails were just "meh". They were long, but no scenic overlooks.
2) They have a trading post on site, but it is privately owned and they do not take your State Park's pass for a discount.

The lake is so clean and beautiful. I kayak and they have a kayak/canoe launch ramp like I've never seen before and it's such a great idea! I had reservations and check in was fast and friendly. It's very quiet this time of year and I love it here. The trailer spots are all back-in but they have generous room to do so . Normally I avoid parks with no pull thru spots but I was in and set up in about 10 minutes. Large picnic tables, fire rings and separate BBQ pits at every site. The bathrooms have hot showers and flush toilets. There are Bird watching blinds and great fishing. And the little library to share a nook to read. Have fun and Happy New Year 2024🕛🎉🎉

Love this place! We went for a hike at 7am. Felt like we had the park to ourselves. The trails were great! The equine trails are wider and flatter. The primitive trail is more challenging with rocks and elevation changes. You can really do some distance with these trails. We ended up doing a little over 6 miles at the cross timbers trail.

Beautiful place for hiking. We went for a hike & to take a kayak out and enjoyed it so much we decided to purchase a yearly pass. It's much larger than I was expecting. The park staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It's worth a trip out whether it's for water fun, hiking, or both! It looks to have some pretty great rv & camping areas. There's a store on the property where you can purchase necessities and even rent boats, kayaks, paddle boards etc. We very much enjoyed our visit and can't wait to go back.

Loved the park! My 3rd official one so far on my State Park passport. The rocky terrain makes for a fun technical hike. The rock climbing area with huge boulders was the highlight. That place was so amazing. I heard there was a section somewhere nearby that you can make your way through a narrow canyon like crevices. Probably best I didn't find it, I wouldn't have fit through anyways.

We picked up some of your Texas Pecan Roast from a Russel Feed.
I have some bad news and good news.
The good news is, this is some of the best whole bean coffee I've had in some time. We grind our own. I would even say that this flavor is better than most of the stuff from Central Market.
Now the bad news. This stuff is so delicious, the coffee I take to work is gone before 8am. Way sooner than I usually drink. I'm going to have to start grinding some beans and bring them to work so I can have more! 🤣

The first time I obtained some pecans I was making a cross country trip from Texas to California. I only got a 3 pounds of shelled pecans. I should have gotten more. They were delicious! So now I have the shipped to me in 5 pound bags every few months. Every order that I have received has been fresh and delicious. I eat them with cheese, dried fruit and dark chocolate. I wash it down with a glass of wine. This company can’t be bet for quality.

The pecans are fresh and delicious. They have a huge selection of flavors. My favorite are the Roasted and Salted Pecans, but the ones sweetened with Splenda are wonderful too! There are some spiced Pecans that I am looking forward to trying. They are so good that I will reorder online because I live a long way from the store. There are lots of candy and cute gift items in the store as well as fudge and ice cream treats. It is a great place to stop for treats and gifts. The store is small but clean and charming. Large selection of pecan products and other nutty novelties. The core offering is centered around two types of pecans. Texas native (small, good crunch and flavorful) and the mammoth jr (large, mealy and kinda bland but presents better). Would recommend getting a bag of the Texas native nuts if you are passing by. $12/lb at the time of writing.

Check in was a little off. Cute clown type guy greeted us with a tray of drinks and offered to take our bags. We didn't have any. His name was Gallow. He told us a little about the place and it was interesting. The drinks he offered were called Jesus juice, so we declined. Gallow showed us to our room. Strange check in, no staff, other than Gallow. Room seemed very dark. Somewhat squishy carpet, moist almost. Gallow left us with the key and a box of Entenmann's powdered donuts, that had a greenish tint to the box. Luckily we brought our own powdered donuts and gin. A pervasive smell filled the room, which sadly reminded me of my grandma's wake, back in Coney Island. In fact it really smelled like low tide at Coney Island. Never mind, this was a hotel worth exploring. After a few very well deserved donuts and warm gin, we heard some low, almost eerie moaning wafting through the walls. I thought, uh oh, honeymoon! None of our business. The rest of the room felt sweaty and covered with a lot of sheets. Even the bathroom was slick with some greenish substance. No matter, this was a Texas sized grand adventure. Off to the pool we decided. Gallow was tending the Tiki bar, which was a nice touch. A familiar face indeed. He offered us more Jesus juice, again we declined. We found a couple of clumps of grass and decided to enjoy ourselves. The pool was murky, but he sky was grey and this was our little get away; let's make the best of it of course. Closed my eyes and out of nowhere I noticed a whistling sound, only to find my friend dead next to me from a piece of concrete that chipped off of the old facade. Will not return.

Present day, (4/18/2022)Took a roadtrip to The Baker in my vintage car,
(1964 Dodge custom 880) the photos were the ones I took when arrived the same night.
Amazing scale of the Baker compared to the rest of the town's buildings.
The Baker is set to open in the 2024's, I'll drive here again to visit & stay, amazing history here, a must come see for yourself.
If you visited the Baker, you need to go visit the Arlington hotel in Arkansas. Similar architecture from the Baker.

Spent the weekend in Mineral Wells and had to stop at this famous landmark that started all the "Crazy" talk. Very cool history behind the mineral wells of the city and the decades of customers flocking to the city to drink and soak in it. We purchased some of their 4-packs that have a .5 liter sample of each of the four levels of mineral content you can purchase, plus a case of the #1 for a daughter who needs alkaline water for health reasons. You can sample the various waters right there in the store to figure out which you like best.
The staff was very friendly and answered all our questions. We were there on a Saturday morning and this place was hopping! Locals coming in from all over to get their big bottles for dispensers replaced. Fun to watch all the action. They also have souvenirs of various types centered around the Crazy Water. Worth your time to stop in.

Nice place to visit in a town with a lot of history. The shop is small. I was a fan of the water before coming here, and read about the history. A small shop to buy things, the soda made on site from crazy fizzy water was good. Take a trip and get some. The spa is next door. The original Crazy Water Hotel is at 1st and 4th. Check out the Baker Hotel while you're here. It's the tallest building in town and the most famous.

It was my local Aldi grocery store where I first discovered Crazy Water. At first I thought it was like their brand of water, and when I got home my dad was like, "Did you go all the way out to Mineral Wells?!?" and I was like "uhh.. No!" After telling him where I found it, he tells me the story of the water and the minerals in it, as I noticed it has a little different taste than most bottled waters. Then here lately, relearning the Crazy lady story and the water, I just decided to make a trip out to Mineral Wells and check out this historic site for myself! It's a very nice water and gift shop with a very nice and friendly staff. Got me a personal size four-pack of the four levels of the waters, and having one a day in numerical order, I kinda have been feeling this degree of feeling good! Although I know where to find this water locally, I would love to return to purchase more as I love it out here in Mineral Wells!

This place is beautiful with a lot of fascinating history. They allow you to taste test the waters, and I was instantly sold. The #4 water has such an interesting flavor profile, and tastes as if you're drinking it directly from the source. This coming from someone who regularly says "almost all water tastes the same." This water does not, it stands out. And the wells the water comes from are all on the property.
Now as to its healing properties, I can't comment. I can say I had a great day after drinking it, but that could've been the great company I was with. 😅
The staff is knowledgeable about the history of the place and is extremely nice. If you're in the area, check it out and have yourself some #4 Crazy Water. You won't be disappointed.

Fun place to stop! I really enjoy getting their fizzing water #3
I also like to add flavor to the #3 green apple and cherry limeade! This fun history place too! Staff is always friendly
Visited while in town for the Moo-La Balloon festival. We did a little self guided tour and enjoyed the facilities very much.

We stopped here when we were passing through. We did not wait for a guided tour which meant we would not able to enter the buildings. It was an interesting place to walk around. I recommend stopping if you have a half hour to spare.

Some beautiful and interesting structures. But, lady working didn't seem to know squat about Stephenville history. My guess is that this place has a potential to be a much better educational centee than what it is.

My family cabin is there. We visit it often with our grandchildren.
I love cheese. I come from a cheese family. When I was a kid, my Dad was manager of a cheese factory.
I once even wrote a poem, "I Dream of Cheese". Seriously. (See below.)
Yet seeing cheese made...Well, that's not a common thing.
But it is here! Come take a tour and try some of the best cheese around!
Delicious cheeses, from soft and mild to firm and really sharp.
Yum!
The poem: "I Dream of Cheese", by Scott R. Lucado, copyright 2022
The day starts with the sound of bees
I swat the clock, and dream of cheese
I rush to work, my breath a wheeze
Sit at my desk, and dream of cheese
Noontime comes, and brings its ease
I eat my lunch, and dream of cheese
Camembert, Colby, or cheddar will please
An eye for Swiss, I dream of cheese
Gouda, muenster, Lorraine, I'd seize
Feta crumbles in my dream of cheese
Queso fresco, up to my knees
O let me live my dream of cheese
The day winds down, the workforce flees
I linger with my dream of cheese
Then home at last, I slowly squeeze
My heart, lost in my dream of cheese.

We discovered this treasure by accident about 3 years ago and loved their cheese... and story. We came back to this area with two other couples on a 5 week Motor Home road trip and set up for all of us to do a tour.
When we got there... the Mrs. was doing some chores out of town so we got Stuart Veldhuizen the owner and Cheese Master to do the tour. How could we be so lucky.
He spoke loudly so we all could always hear. He obviously knew every aspect of the cheese making and was eager to share it enthusiastically. We heard and loved his entire story of how they came to be doing this... the love and the hard hard work that had gone into the business prior and the daily hard work it is to exist. We were there on an average Spring Thursday... and his work day had started at 3:30 that morning.
We sampled everything. Bought a wide variety of the ones we loved most and will be repeat customer's through his website. We greatly suggest this cheese making tour... and their cheeses to anyone in the area.

Delicious high quality product! We had this at my daughters wedding as the little “ nosh” while the wedding party did pictures…. It was just enough to tide over until the meal, we served with different breads and cracker… Seriously everyone raved about it! All night people were commenting and asking. The grooms mother had the idea to do have this, she chose the aged 6 month cracked pepper flavor and she made the right choice…. Creamy yet firm at room temperature made it absolutely delicious. A crowd pleaser for sure. Definitely referring to all and would order again and again

We came all the way from San Antonio to see this place. The staff was wonderfully friendly. They led us through a wonderful cheese tasting from mild cheese to sharp before taking us on a tour. We got to see the cheese cave for the cheddar cheeses and the aging building for the other cheese.
If I could've added to the tour I would recommend that they make a small batch of cheese behind the big glass wall for us to see and that they let us city slickers pet the animals.
We had a wonderful time and bought lots of cheese. The Dublin Karst, Mixed Milk Gouda, Redneck Cheddar and Garlic Dill Havarti were our favorites.

I was pleased to find I could order online and my new favorite cheese is Wooly Texas! They shipped quickly. I've just made a delicious gourmet grilled cheese sandwich from their Classic cheddar, Fat Tailed Tomme and Wooly Texas on sourdough from the bread shop in Grapevine. I have been to their shop. It was a few years ago and enjoyed the scenic drive up to the shop as much as the shop itself.

We recently came across your craft soda while down in Santo Texas. After returning home, we discovered none are available in our town. Shipping and receiving starts at 09:00 but someone showed up around 8:45 and starts loading us up immediately. However, there is only one dock door here and blind side backing is unavoidable. Sending a rookie here is not recommended.

Do not bother stopping. The museum is closed, the soda shop is closed. They claim the gift shop/store is open but it’s really just a counter with a glass wall and one very rude employee. I feel bad because Dublin used to be a cute town with some fun things to do. Unfortunately, covid has choked them out a completely . The little downtown strip is dilapidated and sad. Most of the businesses and restaurants have closed down. All that’s left of Dublin is a Dairy Queen and a dollar general. RIP

I was a little sad when it was closed plus they used to make the old fashioned suds from a fountain and that place was closed too. I did walk across the street got me some Dublin soda everyone drink them on a road trip and they were delicious. Took as much pictures as I could wish I was here a lot earlier. Rip

The only reason I’m giving 3 stars is because the soda is the absolute best I’ve had - especially the grape! Dublin Bottling Works was our FIRST stop today on our week-long family road trip, and I was excited to share the experience of stopping in Dublin for sodas with my kids as I had done as a child with my parents. I knew the soda shop was shut down, and I was ok with that. What we didn’t know was how much of an inconvenience our family would be to the gift shop attendant when we walked in, so much so that my husband saw her roll her eyes at me while I browsed the merchandise. We of course said nothing, but even my kids mentioned how unwelcomed they felt as we left the shop. It’s a shame that such a nostalgic and wonderful experience and product that I was so looking forward to sharing with my children is now represented by such a rude and inhospitable person - the FACE of the business for customers. Maybe rethink who runs the storefront so that you don’t end up losing loyal, generational customers.

This is a awesome fun place , takes you back in time in the old soda fountain. The tour of bottling company and Dr Pepper museum was great! The history of this place is very interesting being a Dr Pepper fan. The memorabilia is some of the best and probably one of the largest collections.

I hate the company that made this place stop selling its magnificent sugar dr. Pepper. Back in the day this place was what made Dublin a interesting town and place to stop. It’s still a nice little shop but it’s just not the same like it use to be sadly.

I would definitely give them 5 stars even though I was not be able to be there before they close! This trip was in my bucket list for a long time. It did worth driving from Dallas all the way there tho! The facility was big and you could even see the inside from the windows outside. Leave early and you can make it before they close at 5. There is a shop next to it you can buy your favorite flavor soda, beer or ice cream. I did really enjoy visiting this lovely town! I would definitely come back again! ☘️

This place is legendary for their history of making Dr. Pepper with pure cane sugar. But, since the corporation took that away from them they are now bottling their own sodas. If you're driving through, it may be worth a stop.
D Largent — Google review
We were disappointed that none of the machinery really worked, they could have it running just for tours, they had one machine that they showed as a demo but it didn't do all the things it could do. We were also disappointed that they didn't offer us a taste of any of the sodas. My husband has diabetes and can't really have it but could have a sip. The museum tour by the employee was nice and informative.

The facility of where it all started for the infamous Dr. Pepper soft drink we know today. But before it was known as Dr. Pepper, Dublin Bottling Works is the more humbling beginnings Location offers 2 types of tours that shares the history of the drink and it's branding better than I can. Both of which suited for all ages. Guided and unguided tours. However with the guided tours, patrons will have the ability to create there own "Dr. Pepper" soft drink to take home with you. Plus it's a good memorabilia to take with you whether you drink your concoction or not. The visitor center offers numerous flavors thru out the years Dublin has been running including their original flavors. It's a pleasant visit for anyone who wishes to Branch out.

Very cool place! Very interest history about the boom of a small town (Thurber) about the mines and brick businesses' that once was a thriving city, and about how it all came crashing down. Love the displays and the voice overs narrators that give the museum the immersive experience for kids and adults. I have a sister-n-law who works there and loves it there. Highly recommend for a short stop when traveling.

Fabulous Museum! Wonder display of Historic Thurber Texas! A must see!
I deducted one star, because it is sad to see what has become of all the hard work restoring the old church and no one has bothered to keep up the maintenance. There are not many Thurber buildings left to see. It is so sad to see it in disrepair, when it could have been used as a venue to generate money for its up keep.

We love it here. All the boaters tie up in the bay that you reach by going between hells gates. Hell's Gates are the two giant cliffs that you always see pictures of. Get there early for a good spot and to enjoy some solitude before everyone arrives. It's very busy on the weekend as you would expect.

Stayed in a cabin in the state park area where Texas residents can fish without a license. Beds were uncomfortable. A short walk to the fishing dock that we usually had to ourselves. Nice roped off swim area with picnic tables and shelters. Very quiet and clean area. Beautiful sunrises over the lake. There is a store that you can get some essential items from. There was a small boat docking area but no marina. We drove about a half hour from the state park to a marina where we rented a boat.

Only problem is there are 'Reserved' tags up when the spots are not reserved. Guess that's a kinda big problem actually....The Camp Store and Crystal are great! Lots of gifts, clothes, supplies, and Great Food!! Thank You, Crystal! Camp sites are cool- some have water, some have water and electric, and some are primitive- our favorite. (Cause we got all the gear to make our ownLol 🙄) Still, I enjoy water and lights ready- made. We stayed in #66 for one night. From the pictures it looks pretty cool and tucked away. We did not have a very good time, and I think I’m done camping, but that’s not to say everyone would have a bad time. If you’re older and a fall risk, this may not be the site for you, but if you do find yourself in this one take a hiking stick it will help. There’s only room for one big tent, but the ground is very hard so I recommend taking cots or a tall air mattress. I think this sight might be best suited for a young couple who are good with taking a trail that has loose rocks. Off the path is filled with cactus for warning. Also I suggest taking a card table as the electric and water are away from the campsite and over by where you park your car. Also this site has a grill on the ground and not a stand up one. If you’re in an RV, judge for yourself because I don’t know anything about that type of camping experience. You are in easy walking distance to the bathroom. The stall area was pretty clean, I had showered before going on the trip and left early the next morning so I can’t tell you about the showering conditions. You are not within easy walking distance to the water. You are at the bottom of a trail so you might have a few people asking to cut though your camp. They were nice though. Oh and there are a bunch of little black bugs that will sting, but apparently only if you mess with them (one landed on the side of my shirt and I didn’t know it and put my arm down and it stung me). The positives are that it’s shady and awesome stargazing.

Possum Kingdom seems to be one of the most popular state parks in Texas. We arrived at the end of Spring Break, so we had one day with people partying long into the night and then the rest of our trip we nearly had the park to ourselves. The restroom near our spot was closed for repairs, so we had to travel to the shower area.
This park is huge. They say there is over 300 miles of coastline. They could have planned the layout better so the campsites are not directly on top of each other. But, a park is there to make money, so I understand.
There is a new fishing dock and a great swim area. The marina is well stocked with anything you may have forgotten on your trip, and the staff is friendly.

Our first visit to PK lake. Had a good time despite the heat. Campsite 109 was fairly shady, had gazebo, fire ring, grill, and direct access to the lake. Climbing down about 15' of rocky slope was aided by the rope we happened to bring along, highly recommend. Also had pool floaties tied to a rock with paracord so we could relax and stay cool. Too hot to hike. We saw deer, ducks, egrets, a snake, skunk, raccoon and heard hogs and coyotes. Bathrooms and showers were ok. The store at Pk is not reliable for ice, bring extra, it's a long drive to nearest store. Bring firewood. Keep food in your car and trash dumped every night, to avoid furry visitors. Awakening to the beautiful sunrise was a highlight of this trip.

Wife and I stayed at #41 Shady Shores water electricity. Not all good and not all bad. Close to RR which are always swarming with bugs drawn to lights and not always clean. RR are ok but; maybe 5 out of 10. Our campsite was next to boat ramp where there is lots of activity and very noisy. Lots of drive by traffic during day and lots of bright lights at night. We had a 32 ft trailer pull into site #40 right next to us. The guy with trailer could not level his trailer correctly and we had to endure the sound of his drill as he used it to level his trailer. It took him all of Friday to figure it out. Sites are too close to each other to have any peace and quiet. Too noisy. Too much drive by traffic. We went to the park store and as we walked in we were not greeted or even acknowledged by store staff of two women and not greeted by female park ranger who was there visiting her buddies. Seemed like this is a daily routine for them. They did not seem interested in customers at all. Shameful. TDPW staff need training on greeting visitors. Please. Overall, with speed boats racing and making noise, all the drive by traffic, the proximity of camp sites, there is no way in hell my wife and I will ever go back. We seek quiet and peace. Possum Kingdom is for party people. Not for us.

Gorgeous view. The water is so clear and blue here. The drive is beautiful, only 2.5 hrs from Dallas, full bloom wild flowers on both sides of the road, full of greenery and mountains, it doesn’t even feel like Texas. You can make a day-trip or spend the weekend there. The hikes are good and very refreshing. So many water activities are also available. There are good restaurants and Starbucks around this area. Highly recommend this place.

What a great experience! What the park lacks in hiking trails, it definitely makes up for in water fun! When I visited, I was at campsite #26, which is right on the water. The water is very clear in the mornings, but as the boats cause wakes throughout the day, the large waves stir up soil; however, it looks like if you camp during the week this may not be the case. I visited from a Friday through Tuesday morning, and on Sunday the place cleared out. Beautiful clear water all day Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. In fact, the place cleared out so much on Sunday that on Sunday and Monday nights I was all alone in my area. I'm not sure if this is how it always is, but this was my experience. The store on site was shockingly reasonable for necessities. A 10lb bag of ice was a little over $3.50 a bag... very reasonable. We rented a boat and swam in the middle of the lake, we also visited Hell's Gate and swam in the lagoon therein. There are a few trails, and though they total fewer than 4 miles, they do offer great views. One annoyance is that the bathrooms and showers were closed in my section of the park, so you are resigned to porto-potties. They do not do a good job of keeping them stocked with toilet paper, so if you have to go, make sure you bring some with you. Lots of bugs and spiders, so be ready for that. When I packed up my tent I was very careful to wipe it down all over, including below the rainfly. Those guys get everywhere. I did not get bitten, but as an arachnophobe, I obviously did not want to bring any home with me, lol. I was shocked at how comfortable the animals are with humans. I was able to get some good pics of visiting wildlife in the early hours of the morning. I honestly loved it here. I can't remember the last time I had such fun swimming and boating on the lake.

We stayed in cabin 4. The cabin has a kitchen, bathroom and AC which was very useful as it was 100 degrees in the day time while we were there and even at night only got down to the 80's. The cabin does need some maintenance though. The door frame wasn't in good shape so we had to use the dead bolt as a door knob because the knob didn't catch. The fan over the stove also isn't working and I set off the smoke alarm while making breakfast. The lake is nice, spent some time in the water and rented a kayak. The trails are nice and there were a lot of flowers while we were there but this park doesn't have a lot of trails. There are about 2 miles total of trails here so it looks like this park is more for the lake then the land. The trees are small, I think the wind and rocky soil keep them from getting to big but still a good variety. We saw a really cool centipede too. I haven't ever seen one that big outside of a zoo before.
Such a nice place to visit! The location is super convenient. The grounds are very well kept and comfortable. We visited the Tasting room/Gift shop where we had a tasting which was awesome! I only visited to drop off a birthday cake order, so I can't speak to the quality of the pool itself. From what I saw, it looks like a great place for kiddos. The employees were very helpful & nice! My only complaint about this location would be the roads. They are nearly dangerous to drive on!! I drove my cake all the way from Stephenville without any issues whatsoever but as soon as I had to drive up the pothole filled hill to get to the pool the cake started to slip. It concerns me that the road is that poor in an area where children play regularly. How safe is it for drovers to be distracted by the uneven road when they should be keeping an eye out for the children?! A smooth road (and maybe some sinage at the bottom of the hill) could easily attract more customers and their families!

Definatly say; if your passing through ,and wanting to visit, and learn. This should be on your list. If your looking for a beautiful setting for a wedding, prom, or any formal function. Plenty of places for fantasticly beautiful photography settings. The outside area is quiet breathtaking. Walk paths around green grass. Benches to sit on; under beautiful trees. A rock fountain with benches around it. Brick road that has been presevred very well. Plenty of parking. I tell you true. I would love to be here all day. It is so very relaxing and beautiful. This place was really cool. Hilton's First hotel. The lady that gave us the tour was SO gracious as be got there at 4 and gave us a tour. She was Very informative about the hotel and other surrounding things in the town.
We will definitely go back.
After a 35 year long relationship, I can say without doubt and with personal experience, the Old Jail Art Center is a world class accredited museum.

Very well executed. Nice walk through, with some nice art. It felt a little bare during our walk through, but still worth a stop. Good videos on the history of the area.

The Old Jail Art Center is amazing. I took my niece and great nephew from Kansas to visit the Old Jail and we were in awe of the art and history in there. When we walked in we were greeted by Susan Montgomery who is super sweet and very knowledgeable of the art and museum as a whole. I have lived in Albany my whole life and it has been several years since I visited the Old Jail but I highly recommend going and taking your time and enjoying what this awesome little museum has to offer. Thank you Susan for answering all of our questions and being so sweet to me and my family. We will definitely visit again.

I absolutely love this place, especially the library. I'm a huge fan of Albany to begin with and have been through it many many times in my 58 years on earth. My mother's family is from Haskell County, and I've been stopping in Albany for years because there have always been good milkshakes and clean bathrooms. I stop in Albany every time I come through. This time it was a couple of milk shakes, a new Case knife, and a water cup from the Old Jail.
The Old Jail is the prize of the town (from a visitor's perspective). If I could give it six stars I would. The exhibits are solid, and that art library is absolutely fabulous to have in a town that size.

One of the hidden gems Art Museums in Texas! A must "stop" when you are visiting or passing through Albany. You will be amazed at the extensive range of art in their permanent collection as well as current art displays. Additionally, OJAC offers fantastic teacher workshops & off site art programs on the road to many school districts!

The last thing we expected as we pulled into Albany was a fine art museum. Boy were we surprised! This is the real deal folks, as you tour the art exhibits you will completely forget you are in small town Texas, but not only are you in small town Texas, but you are in one of the finest to visit. Go! You won't regret it!
