Ski & Snowboard Areas
This winter ski & snowboard resort on 300 acres includes 48 trails, 5 terrain parks & 18 chairlifts.
Charming little spot overlooking the Afton Ski lifts. Not a huge menu but good spot to grab a drink and enjoy the view. We were watching a doe run around the open fields with her 2 fawns.
Brian Rector — Google review
This year has been pretty up and down for Afton, I'd have to say. Lots of hours cut, hardly any lifts are open and about half runs open, nearly February. Sucks because everywhere else opens before noon, and runs later than 8.
Still has fun runs and park, despite the cons.
jakeislate — Google review
I’ve been to almost every ski resort in Minnesota. I can see that Afton definitely needs to be improved. The most two annoying things I really wish they could improve:
1. The parking lots are super super muddy, my boots got dirty and I couldn’t put them into my ski bag because they would mess it up. AND it is very potholed! Bumpy like a hell, always painful to drive through the parking lots there.
2. They have lots of two-person lift chairs and there are not enough space for two adults.
Anyway, I had high expectations for them since they were selling the most expensive tickets in MN. But I have to say, disappointed with the equipment there.
Jill Lee — Google review
Hills are nice. The employees are working their a33 off. But they don’t have enough help. 3/4 of the chairlifts are closed. The lift lines are too long. The rental lines are also too long. Not a great value for the $!
HOME Dworak — Google review
For Midwest skiing it is pretty good. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Everyone from the rental shop to the restaurant staff were great. Great way to spend a day.
Scott Gates — Google review
I'm sure Vail was thrilled with my $70 lift ticket as I sat in the rental line for an hour. Only to find one rental staff. Ouch. Pre playing, entered rental information a head of time. Poor planning in the name of corporate profits. I've been working in the industry for 10 years. Won't come back. Would have been zero stars. Hill looks like sunburst or little Switzerland near Milwaukee. Icy 300' vert. Go to chestnut.
Joe Lamb — Google review
My husband and I decided to get season passes here as opposed to any other hill and the Twin Cities area because of the epic discount and because it is one of the largest. We’ve been going since December and find that usually a new hill opens up as they are creating more snow and grooming it. There are a couple different chalets that you can visit, and though the lines can be long, the staff is friendly and fairly efficient.
Andrea Kyle — Google review
I just want to say everyone was great. We had a great experience, all the staff is wonderful! The instructors were outstanding, specially the instructor that helped my brother-in-law, Juan. I didn’t catch her name, but she was so kind and patient with him. It was truly an unforgettable experience! Thank you!
Familia Vargas-mejia — Google review
I love skiing at Afton! The staff are so friendly and the hours are great. Sunsets and moonrises are pretty rad there too!
Tracy Norman — Google review
Food here is ridiculously expensive, chicken tenders and fries are $14. The ski hill is not bad, but they don’t have very many black diamonds and it’s a bit confusing. It’s kind maze
Ethan Roesner — Google review
The snowboarding is great when all of the Highlands runs are open!
The main qualm that I have leading to the 3-star review is the quality of the cafeteria food/service of the cafeteria employees.
My order was given to another person who hadn't been waiting as long as I had been. When the employees noticed that they gave my order away, they rushed to make mine. Unfortunately, due to them rushing, I was served only half-cooked chicken tenders that were still cold in the middle.
In addition, the people manning the grills are also responsible for the cash register. This lead to myself and a few others standing and waiting at the cash register with no worker to be found. All of these things in conjunction with one another felt quite a bit frustrating. It could be beneficial to have an order number system so people are helped in the order that they arrived rather than things being disorganized.
Overall, I'm happy with the quality of the snowboarding experience. However, the food preparation services leave a lot to be desired.
Marcos Macias — Google review
It's fine as far as Midwest ski hills go. The staff were all friendly as well, which was nice. My main beef with this place is they are charging more than any other local hill, but still have huge lines backed up at their double chair lifts. Nearly half of the lifts weren't running when I went today. Lots of other places nearby with the same quality of skiing, better lifts and lower prices.
Ross Mau — Google review
I'd probably give Afton a 3.75. Skied with my daughters the other day. Dare I say our home hill Snowcreek has better vertical? It's close. Anyways, there are a good amount of runs here but they are all pretty easy. The blacks didn't offer much challenge but offered some good cruising. There was a nice route that goes through a pipe with a nice jump at the end. We did that over and over. The terrain park was a bit too ambitious for us, they could use some smaller stuff varied in. Pretty much everything was expensive. I did appreciate being able to park at less crowded chalets and ski right down with the epic pass. The runs were groomed and in good shape after raining a couple days earlier. The merch store is strong. Good stuff in there. Solid resort just expensive without too much variety in terrain. Welch Village is a better value and better skiing, especially when the back bowl is open.
Expansive park featuring a swimming beach, campsites & a variety of wildflowers.
Gorgeous, well-maintained and well-marked trails, and open to both snowshoeing/hiking and cross country skiing for the winter. Trail signage is clear and easy to follow, and the park offers gorgeous views of the river from several locations.
Casi B — Google review
Nicely maintained State Park with riverwalk, forest and meadow trails for both hikers and bikers. The park has a couple of nice lookouts over the river and nice camping and picnic areas. There is also a public beach area that we didn't explore because dogs weren't allowed. We did explore the river and some cool driftwood in another beach area. Somewhat crowded on a Sunday afternoon in July. Not a lot of bugs.
Virginia VanKeulen — Google review
Phenomenal park! Hikes range from challenging to easy. The beach is not the cleanest water, but I still recommended making the trip!
Esmé White — Google review
Afton state park is a great state park for hiking, birding, and as well as camping. They have more than adequate parking in a couple different areas of the park. They have some really great camp sites throughout the park, including yurts that you can rent and camp in. There is some great views on top of the bluff overlooking the St. Croix River that is not too far from the main parking lot. If you hike down from there, you will eventually hike to the beach area, which is absolutely beautiful and fun to explore. They have picnic shelters and grilling areas right near the parking lot.
B A — Google review
The hiking trails here cater to all skill levels, offering everything from leisurely strolls to challenging hikes. The park's well-maintained trails make exploring the wilderness a joy. One of my favorite spots is the overlook, where I pause to catch my breath and soak in the breathtaking views of the St. Croix River below. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or just looking for a peaceful retreat, I guess this park has it all.
Zain Ul Abdin Siyal — Google review
Overall I had a decent visit hiking here. I only had time to hike the trails in the southern part of the park. The trail portions outside the woods were wide enough for side by side conversation and the parts of the trail near or inside the woods were single file. I visited in November, between the Fall color and white snow, when the aesthetics were rather bland.
Josh — Google review
Afton State Park is a great place for a family's day trip. We only had a couple hours, but got to hike a few miles and also saw the St Croix River from the overlook which was a very pleasant thing to do.
From the visitor center, the hiking trails toward south mostly don't have tall trees that provide shade. So it could be more challenging when it is hot. The trails toward north, however, have a lot of trees and are mostly covered by the shade of the trees, and therefore are easier for little kids.
Chang-Tsan Lu — Google review
Nice park, plenty of trails for easy walking and challenge up and down hilly climb. On the negy, not too many bathroom available on the long trail. There are plenty of benches and picnic tables for a rest and a clean beach for swimming. It's also a good place for nature photography.
Practical Life — Google review
A very enjoyable hike with multiple loops to choose from or combine. There is a solar operated water pump in the hike-in campground. It is a nice, winding uphill hike.
The beach is currently flooded with some debris washed up to shore.
Several picnic shelters and bathrooms are present throughout.
Pets are allowed but have to be leashed at all times.
Definitely will hike it again.
Evie M — Google review
We had a fantastic time staying in the Bluebird cabin. We had a wonderful hike and had the joy of a Bald Eagle flying right over head - a beautiful sight!
Stephanie Brown — Google review
Love that the south trail is all along the river. The signage isn't great but if you have a GPS map, you will be fine. Weekends are pretty busy. The trails are not challenging wirh the exception of a few steep hills and well maintained.
Christine Cartwright — Google review
At sunrise we took the southern river loop by first walking through the prairie to the yurts/cabins before descending and taking the river path back. The river is still high and all the little sandbars and beaches remain underwater. While skirting the prairie we saw many deer including our first fawn of the year. There was an osprey preening on an unused nesting platform and many kingbirds in the trees at the prairie edge. My greyhounds and I had the paths to ourselves until the climb back up to the car park. My favorite walk in the park still is the northern river loop where the bird watching is superlative through the backpacker's campground.
Carrie Wilmot — Google review
Kind of hard to gauge a park because people look for so many different things. It's huge and it's a walking park mostly, I believe. Went on Memorial Monday and it was only about 60% full. I assume the appeal of more drive up and park options, which plenty of that stuff here, too. Love the different water levels of the river at different times of year.
Will Bryan — Google review
Afton State Park was beautiful and clean during a July afternoon in 2023. We got together with a few likeminded people and we hiked while picking up trash. It was a fun day out on the trails!
Stephen Eigenmann — Google review
I absolutely love this place. So many trails and varieties of trails you can explore. You can get right up on the river. Highly recommend this place to anyone!
Steve Meglen — Google review
This is a nice and well kept state park. There isn't too much to do but there's enough to spend a day here. The North River Trail is nice. The beach on the river is also super peaceful. Lots of different landscapes. Not a lot of wildlife spotted when I went. The goats are back and they're employees! I thought that was super cute.
Katie A — Google review
Hiked out to the Trout Brook Loop - they aren’t kidding when they say you’ll get a workout! Trails out there were steep and rocky for half the hike. Appreciated the plentiful signage and labeling of intersecting trails. Views were spectacular, will have to come back to walk the trail along the St. Croix
Emily T — Google review
So many trails to chose from! Lots of variety in terrain and landscape from river to prairie to woods. Very well marked trails and almost every intersection has a map.
M Lewis — Google review
Always a great place to hike, in all seasons. No snowshoeing on this visit, but we brought our new puppy and she loved it. We saw a Pileated Woodpecker, deer, and eagles.
Trevor Dulka — Google review
It's a smaller park with a great view this time of year. I recently purchased the trails stamp book, so this park was close. We chose to go see this park for the first time.
Larry Robinson — Google review
During any season, Afton State Park is the perfect place for a hike. I enjoy both the prairie trails and the steep hill trails leading through the forest and down to the river. Generally, the rolling prairie walks have fewer people. In the winter, the snow makes the browns and reds of the dried prairie grasses seem more vibrant.
Paul M — Google review
The park is pretty nice I thought. My family and I had a great time exploring the park. The main building was clean and pretty well set up. We brought a lunch with us and enjoyed it at the picnic area. While eating a park ranger came up to us and talked to the kids about the state park and some of the areas that they had to offer. They enjoyed talking to him and after he gave them each a Jr. Park ranger badge(sticker). We all had a fun time at the park!
The Mill City Museum is a fascinating history museum located in the ruins of an old flour mill on the banks of the Mississippi River in downtown Minneapolis. It tells the story of Minneapolis from its beginnings as a small settlement on the banks of the river to its present status as one of America's most thriving and culturally vibrant cities. The museum contains a wide range of exhibits on its industrious past, including artifacts and artworks from that era.
Wonderful museum and staff. I have been twice now and the tours were both a little different and my mother enjoyed it a lot. The flour tower elevator tour to start is a step back in time. Then going up to the 8th & 9th floor for a better view of the ruins and the Mississippi is breathtaking. Beautiful in the winter, and outstanding in the summer, when you can go out on the observation deck. Don't forget to walk around the museum after and read all the interesting facts and artifacts all over.
Rachel Ferrara — Google review
This museum was very informative and hands-on! I thoroughly enjoyed the exhibits, the elevator mill show, and the staff were friendly do a great job! The elevator show was shared with a school class that was obnoxious but still enjoyed the show. The water table lab was so fun for the kids. The "baking" lab was neat, and we got to make flour. They also had a sample of a baked short bread. How fun to learn more about Minneapolis and the flour milling industry. I highly recommend this museum for families. The tickets are reasonably priced.
Linda M. — Google review
A beautiful museum. My favorite part was the “flour tower” elevator ride that not only showed off the timeline of the museum, but also simulated some of the big movements and disasters. It ends with a great view of the city from the observation deck.
The ruins are picturesque, as well.
Little Bunny lover — Google review
This is a wonderful museum that allows you an opportunity to look into the past of the mighty milling industry that once was of Minneapolis. If you are strapped for time, it is easy to get through everything in a couple of hours or you can take your time. The highlight of the tour is definitely the Flour Tower and the top observation deck.
Andy Nizzi — Google review
I moved to Minneapolis from Boston 2 months ago. Having lived in New England the last two years, Minneapolis and the Midwest is a big change for me. Tbh, I didn’t like it at all. But the visit to this museum completely changed my opinion, especially after a conversation with Fred (one among the many amazing docents). The entire museum is a quick cover (2-3 hours), but extremely informative on the birth, history, people of Minnesota (mostly Minneapolis) in a humorous, fun, and empathetic manner. Extremely worth it!
Don’t miss: Elevator ride, water bar, the 20 minute movie.
Fun fact from Fred: New Lowell was one of the city names considered before Minneapolis was chosen, to acknowledge the help of the textile industry of Lowell, Massachusetts in setting up the water channels in the Mississippi for generating power to run the mills.
Pavan Kumar — Google review
Very fun interactive museum. Some great history to learn, but will definitely be going back at a quieter time to look more fully as the Friday we went there was a couple busloads of school children.
Jana Lein — Google review
This is a children-centered small museum with fantastic views of the river from the observation deck on the 9th floor. There are many displays with good explanations. There is a children's water play table where they can dam up rivers to run turbines. It also had a nice outdoor space to eat.
Alan Dennis, Baron of Cowie — Google review
Super cool space to learn more about something we all have, flour! My kids loved the interactive exhibits. The water lab was a special favorite. Make sure to go up to the very top!! Incredible place!
Jannean Dixon, M.Ed. — Google review
I've always loved this place! I started bringing my daughter when she was 3 years old, now she's 19 and still had fun. I'm allegedly an adult, but I still had fun playing in the water tables. Definitely recommend it. The views from the observation deck are with the price of admission, make it a day trip across the bridge and take time to check out the ruins.
Mindy Ondich — Google review
This was a FASCINATING and extraordinary museum! I kept wanting to know more about how the machines worked, feel what the working conditions were like, etc. This was a “quick” museum (3 hours max) with lots for kids. The views of the mill, stone arch bridge, city… breathtaking! Definitely a must see. Also the eatery inside was outstanding. A few exhibits were too elaborate to be educational, like the giant water table “for kids” of all ages. Some smaller more hands-on all-ages things to see, taste, touch, and smell would have been great. Bins where you could touch and feel the grains run through your fingers, sample what they tasted like, etc. lots of great information to read on the plaques that I hope can be brought to other input experiences, too. I think this museum will improve greatly over time. Please visit and support them today! Note: I visited on a weekday, but between Christmas and New Year’s Day. There was a lot of space, but I can’t guess what a “typical” day would have been like in terms of crowd levels.
Laura D. Schneider — Google review
Great museum. Friendly staff. For a little extra fun, park on the other side of the river and walk across the Stone Arch Bridge (about a half mile each way).
Russell Milles — Google review
This is a great museum. It's really well laid out with a lot of information and some interactive exhibits for kids. Definitely worth the visit, especially for the low ticket price. I learned a lot about the history of Minneapolis and the mills.
Joe M. — Google review
This place was very interesting. I learned so much about the history of Minneapolis in addition to milling. I had children with me from ages 2-9 and they were all engaged by tour and many of the displays. They loved the room with all the water tables were you could dam up water or guide logs down the river or rebuild the buildings on the banks Minneapolis. We happened to be there when they did a demo of the explosion that happened there in the late 1800s and my kids thought that was neat. I loved the view from top of the mill. Definitely glad I came here and would recommend it to anyone especially if live in Minnesota. However one of my kids commented how you didn't get to see any flour being milled.... which it would be cool if they had one of the old machines running or just something small that was milling wheat to flour to give kids an idea how that process looks. There are old machines that are on display and there are some cranks you can turn to move gears on some displays but no actual flour being made.
Gayle Satterfield — Google review
Definitely worth the $12 admission to the museum portion! It’s much more than just a regular museum. Very interactive with a storytelling freight elevator tour with views from the top of the building. Very knowledgeable workers who don’t bore. Everything they said was interesting and all of the regular museum displays hold your interest. Wonderful gift shop as well!
Olivia VanDehey — Google review
Mill City museum really exceeded my expectations. The museum was filled with fascinating information in video and exhibit turn which is pretty expected, however there is a really cool introduction movie and the elevator show was fantastic. Also the view at the top of the museum is exceptional. Highly recommended.

What a fun, educational adventure!
Low cost entry fee. Lots of fun history to look at. I loved the flour tower elevator ride and getting to go to the observation deck. What a beautiful view of the city!
KJ Goldstein — Google review
This is a must visit museum if you are visiting from out of town. It walks you through the overall history of Minneapolis, why it was essential to be built next to to St Anthony falls, and how the city grew and faded with the Mississippi River.
The museum is so well put together bringing both milling and water harnessing to the core, intermixed with history and the development of the city.
You'll absolutely love the Flour Tower exhibit. Won't spoil it for you.
If you have kids, highly recommend spending a solid 2 hours or more at this brilliant museum.
Also given its strategic location next to the river, it is awesome to combo it with the river-side walk.

We were up for a weekend in March & went to the Sat am farmers market. They had something for everyone. Very cool neat place! Would go back & explore when it's warmer.
Amy Mueggenberg — Google review
Great local museum with fun activities for kids and adults. Be sure to save time for the flour tower to hear about the history of the space and see the views of the city!
Nathan Bilancio — Google review
Great experience and very educational. Learned a great deal about the mill and its history. As well as about the greater Minneapolis area. See the movie!! Plays ever 30 min or so.
Mike Ignace — Google review
The reviews don't lie, this was such a fun and unique museum and I'm so glad we made time to visit! Do **not** under any circumstances miss the short movie about the city - it was SO good and funny, and my husband and I were literally laughing out loud multiple times during the video and we immediately pulled up and listened to more from Kevin Kling on our drive home. Don't skip the elevator ride/tour, that was informative and our guide was great -an older gentleman who was a local to the area. We went on a Saturday and watched a pie demonstration, went up to see the great view across the river, and learned a lot about the lumber industry and deforestation of the land, in addition to the flour milling history! Well worth the visit!
Kailey Parks — Google review
The tour is self guided and the building itself is something to behold. We are in our mid-50's and were there without children, but I was really surprised to see so many interactive rooms for the families and young people there. There was even a big group of boy scouts- and their enthusiasm was contagious.
Deanna Wierima — Google review
Do the Flour Tour!! A fun, creative way to tell the history of the building and area. Good for all ages. And the view from the observation deck is beautiful.
Also take the time to walk around the river as well.
Rhiannon Terpstra — Google review
Excellent exhibit and shows! Highly recommended for all ages! We came on New Year’s Eve and learned so much about the culture and history of Minneapolis! The elevator show is the best! We truly enjoyed it!
For travelers, the museum has three large lockers, and each could fit two (2) carry-on luggage’s. We checked in our luggages while visiting the museum and also the bridge near by.
Best museum In Minneapolis!
The new and modern stadium of the Minnesota Twins offers an amazing fan experience with a guided tour that takes you to parts of the stadium that are rarely seen by regular visitors.
Beautiful baseball stadium tucked away in downtown Minneapolis. The staff is always friendly and the views are always scenic. True baseball fans will appreciate being able to catch both starting pitchers warm up simultaneously. Lots of little restaurants and bars to catch some good food and drinks at. The state fair mini donuts, walleye and cheese curds are a must. The stadium also features a lot of standing room areas to catch the game from. Also, the team store is magnificent. They have anything a Twins fan could want or someone just looking for a souvenir. Plenty of parking around the stadium. If you're traveling from the south you can take the Metro Transit blue line from Mall of America for just $2 a ride. Its about a 40-minute ride but it beats driving downtown. Not sure if it's a good nighttime option, due to unsavory characters along the route that may board the train.
Kaleb Huffman — Google review
Visited this stadium for red sox vs twins game. It’s a huge stadium and very close to downtown so easily accessible by walk. Definitely recommend wearing tons of sunblock if you plan to visit it in summer as it can get very hot. Fortunately we had access to club 360 so we were able to get much needed respite there.
Kirti Parekh — Google review
Going to watch the Twins play here is a lot of fun!
Upsides: The whole place is clean, employees are super nice, they care a lot about recycling which is great and it's a very nice stadium in general! Just about every single seat is an amazing seat as well, there is not really a bad spot to watch the game. Parking is super easy to find. Downsides: Only downside is that merchandise/food is expensive but it is also expected to be a lot.
Anna — Google review
Field was really nice and had plenty of restaurants and lots of beer options even for the craft beer lover.
The stadium was in excellent condition and had a great family feeling.
My only complaint at all was the seats are narrow. I'm 180lbs and I'm not sure any adults can sit back with their shoulders square without touching both neighbors beside you. You have to pull your shoulders forward or almost sit sideways. It's really bizarre.
Neil Natic — Google review
Well I'm glad I got off early because playoff games are early, like 3:30!, however I got to go experience the Twins win their first playoff game in 19 years! Its a real fan friendly ballpark with little games for your kids, and a lot of concessions. Not a bad seat in the house! Plus I love it when their closer comes out! You gotta check it out!

I've been out to Target Field numerous times over the last few years for multiple Twins games, and I absolutely love it!! Heading out to the ballpark is one of my favorite things to do on a summer day/night, and the experience is always fantastic. Target Field is a gorgeous venue with fantastic skyline views and an awesome backdrop. The food is great and the atmosphere can't be beat. I would highly recommend a trip to Target Field to anyone, baseball fan, or not.. you will absolutely enjoy yourself!
Logan Harrington — Google review
This is one of the most beautiful ball fields, in my opinion. Great seating everywhere throughout this park. Lots of different foods that are always changing. This park has restaurants, stores and even play areas for kids and adults. Lots to see and do if you take the time to really walk around. Go Twins!
Ben Merrill — Google review
We sat in the Delta 360 skybox area and the memorabilia in the indoor area added a lot of history and was interesting to browse. The games offer a LOT of food options. I think anyone could find food from a vendor as some accommodate dietary restrictions. Parking was easy in the ramp next to the field and was pretty cheap! Fun atmosphere and worth a visit even if not a Twins fan.
Natalie Koffarnus — Google review
We had a great time at the bowl game against the Yankees. The staff were very nice and helpful. The view from the Delta sky360 Club seats was great. It was nice to get back inside the lounge to eat food and use restrooms. It was especially nice on a cold night to get inside for some heat.
The atmosphere was like a event and that was great entertainment for the kids.
Bas Barath — Google review
Target Field is a baseball stadium where there isn't a bad seat in the place. First base side is where you want to be during day games, but if you are lucky enough to get a beautiful Minnesota evening then you will not be disappointed. No vendors take cash so be prepared for that.
Ezra Campbell — Google review
Beautiful ballpark, it has a lot of places to sit or stand and get drinks. Good amount of bars and great places to eat. I suggest getting the fried cheese curds and the burger sliders from Red cow. Very juicy and flavorful, in a nice bite size package.

I love watching Twins games at Target Field! The stadium is beautiful, well kept, and clean. There are tons of food options (although expensive as expected at this type of venue.) Parking is super easy in Ramp A or Ramp B. I also attended a concert at this venue recently. The sound was great. The seating arrangement was great. I would definitely attend concerts here in the future.

My favorite MLB stadium for baseball. A definite must-see if you’re traveling and you’re looking to create a fun summer memory. I might be biased but the Guest Services employees are always friendly and helpful! I have always been a MN Twins Fan and will always be one. Thanks for the memories!

Went to see the Twins play the Mariners and had a blast. This was my first MLB game, and it was a great stadium to experience a game. It seems like no matter where you are in the park, you have a great view of the field. It is a beautiful field, and if I lived closer, I would definitely buy season tickets.
Darren Johnson — Google review
Awesome stadium. Finally made it here for a Twins game. Now I can appreciate why this stadium is called out as one of the best in MLB. Easy access, great concessions, amazing views of the Minneapolis skyline. Plenty of guest services team members to help with navigation of the grounds.

It was our first Twins game ever and boy, what an experience! The stadium was amazing and so easy to navigate. We had great seats above the right field wall and concessions were close by. We were surrounded by families having a great time and everyone was relaxed. The stadium staff were so friendly and pleasant and helpful. The entire atmosphere was great. We will definately go back!

This place is electric! Magical even! I love bringing my friends and family here. What better place to get together and share an experience you will remember forever?!?! I am a die-hard Twins fan, but it's about way more than just the game! It's the whole experience. The atmosphere, the people, the food, the lights, all of it! Pure gold. As the great James Earl Jones said, "The memories will be so thick, you'll have to brush them away!" Bring your loved ones. You won't regret it. *Hot tip* Go on a Tuesday if you can. The hot dogs are all $1, and the pop is $2! Cheap food and drinks and a game! Awesome!!!

The concourse actually feels a little like a Target. A little sterile, but that's not bad. Good views from all over. Even the worst seats aren't bad. The bleacher area is close to the action. Prices inside are average for an MLB ballpark. The views from within are mediocre, but the park itself is pretty. Hood screens with a good amount of info for statheads. A cool digital banner feature visible from the concourse is pretty unique. They did a really good job overall and the transit planning is second to none.

A very fan-friendly experience awaits you at Target Field. I’ve sat in many different sections, and there are great sight lines everywhere. The concourses are wide, offer a great variety of food and beverage options, and are always open to the field, so you never feel too separated from the action. (Very little protection from the elements, so come dressed appropriately for the weather.) There are other diversions as well, including a miniature golf course for the kids. The food is all dreadfully expensive, of course. The only thing I’m not crazy about is the restroom situation which feels inadequate and are not fully handicap accessible. (I had to hold the door open for a gent in a wheelchair today.) it’s well staffed, and the employees are generally friendly and helpful. Overall, still a five star experience and a great place to see a baseball game.

This is exactly what you expect a ballpark to me. Lots of food and beverage stands, great seating, a beautiful field and plenty of pregame entertainment. One of the friendliest crowds and the scoreboard screens were spectacular. Easy public transit in and out. It’s hard to think of much we didn’t like. A really good ballpark with reasonably priced seating and very helpful personnel. We give it 4.5 clams on the coveted Five quahog rating scale.

Beautiful ballpark! Went two days in a row with six people (four kids). Both days were fun. Kids played bags behind right field where we came in. We sat row 1 in left field on day one. $1 hot dogs on Tuesdays!!!! Day two, I had front row seats in section 307. I didn't know the 300 section was closed in April. We got vouchers to sit in section 101 and paid for upper deck seats. Super awesome!! Great venue and experience!! Go Dodgers!!

Target Field was a beautiful stadium!! Great views from pretty much anywhere in the ballpark!! The stadium made it interactive for the fans and it was fun!! That was my first time attending a game at Target Field!! But yea Go Cards 😜

Twins Opening game. Big and beautiful. No smoking inside and no re-entry if you leave. Lots of seating. Food/ Drinks and souvenirs are over priced but that's what you should expect. Parking is not ideal, many parking ramps out there and decent walk to the field.
I recommend if your not the type of person that needs to get up a lot, to buy seat ticket on the end of the seats where there isn't an entrance so you don't have to get up all the time for people going in and out.
There is decent variety of food and drinks. I recommend getting the free refillable pop drinks if you feel you will get many drinks it's worth it since drinks are pricey.

We had a great time. The family concessions stands have cheaper priced foods: $3.99 hot dogs, $1.99 sodas (plus tax), etc.Friendly staff all over the place, including the parking ramp. The light shows for the Twins relievers are a nice touch. The mascot race was fun, the music was banging, and the TWINS won! I definitely recommend it, even if you're not familiar with baseball.

Had a great time at the game. Was able to find a few gluten free options. We did run into a little difficulty when asking about the accessible seating. One person completely disregarded us. We were able to find another person to help us out!

The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is a popular tourist attraction with amazing sculptures by famous artists. It's located next to the Walker Art Center and Loring Park, and is open 365 days a year.
It's so fun to walk around and see such interesting works of art. Although museums are unique experiences of their own, being in and around large artwork is just a whole new way to appreciate the art world. I had to do a project on the piece Untitled by Jim Hodges - which is the sculpture made up of 4 boulders that have been faced with colored steel inlays. It blew my mind reading the background of the piece and how it ended up in the walker, so I highly recommend looking into it if you visit!

Awesome sculpture garden. Stay a while - Listen to the church bell in the distance. The park was clean and everyone was very friendly. If the food truck owners raise their prices of bottled water...it was completely my fault. $1.60 is entirely too inexpensive for a tourist area. I said to charge $3-4 and thanked them for such affordable bottles.
You may get lucky and find an art festival in the neighboring park on a Saturday. A must visit while in town.

It's a great place to go for a walk and admire the sculptures. I'm not that into art, but it was worth going here. Kids were making their own sculptures ⛄️ ☃️(snowmen), which is modern, compared to the sculptures made by artists in the last century. People were friendly in the park. It's better to go in summer.

This sculpture garden is not only pretty but fun with some of the quirky art. There are level, paved walks that lead you around to each piece of art and its description. There is a paid car park conveniently next to it. If you find yourself in town, take an hour to check it out.

The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden offers a splendid fusion of art and nature, making it a must-visit destination for both art enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. This expansive outdoor gallery, beautifully situated near downtown Minneapolis, features an impressive array of sculptures by renowned artists, spread across a well-manicured landscape that invites leisurely strolls and contemplative pauses.
A highlight of the garden is the iconic "Spoonbridge and Cherry" sculpture, which serves as a whimsical centerpiece and a perfect backdrop for photos. The garden’s layout encourages exploration, with each turn presenting a new piece of art elegantly integrated with the natural surroundings.
Accessibility is excellent, with clear paths and informative plaques that provide insights into each artwork. Visiting in different seasons offers unique perspectives of the art pieces amidst changing colors and atmospheres, with the lush greens of summer and the striking snow contrasts in winter being particularly memorable.
For anyone visiting Minneapolis, a stop at the Sculpture Garden is highly recommended for a peaceful break from the urban rush, offering a serene and inspiring experience that celebrates the harmonious blend of art and the environment.

I love this place during the warm season! The cherry is, of course, iconic and a Minneapolis staple! This is a fun place for family, friends, individuals, residents, and tourists alike. There's something for everyone to enjoy. Go check out the interior of The Walker as well! The sculpture garden is free to the public.

Fun to walk through and see the art. It was cold so we were not able to hang out too long. Creative and incredible artwork. The bridge was especially impressive.

This sculpture garden is really beautiful. It's a great place for families. friends, dates and singles. And it's free! But I urge you to make a donation. There are so many displays of amazing art. If you go online to their website, they have information about each art piece and some fun games. The weather was perfect on the day I visited so I was able to leisurely stroll the garden and take some awesome pictures. They do have a Cafe but I had eaten breakfast right before I went.

What a nice garden to walk around with lots of incredible sculptures in it. This is located right in front of Walker Art Center. There is a bridge that connects this Garden and Loring Park.
I loved every single sculptures I saw here but due to about 10 inches snow I couldn't completely enjoy my visit. I highly recommend to wear winter boots during winter time.
I took lots of nice photos here. Definitely, beautiful photo spot in Minneapolis which was very easy to access from my hotel in downtown of Minneapolis.

Such a cool place! One of my favorite experiences that I had on my 4 day trip to Minneapolis. It had even more art than I had imagined, and was a great precursor to visiting the Minneapolis Institute of Art. One of the best all around, family friendly places I've been to in all of my travels. Would totally come back on another visit to Minneapolis!

Worth a visit while in Minneapolis. I was surprised at how many sculptures were in the area and that it was completely free to visit. We paid for parking since we weren’t familiar with the area but it sounds like there is free street parking in the area as well. There is something for all ages. The iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry was our favorite! 🍒

Super cool sculptures!
Our favorite one was the Spoonbridge and Cherry !land the blue rooster 🐓
Not sure if you can just sit anywhere around the sculptures to picnic but there is a designated seating area by the parking lot for that that also provides shade.
There’s also a bridge that connects that Sculpture Garden with another stunning park and pond on the other side of the road.
It’s very clean, visitors are respectful of each other

Super cool. Definitely want to see it in the spring or summer time. Needs more art though. The Cherry spoon is definitely the highlight. Would love to see blocks on the trail way of different art to walk along to the next big sculpture. Beautiful place to take your Dog on a walk and the area is very well kept up. Got to see a rare Black squirrel too! There is also a cool bridge to cross over the highway and continues to yet another beautiful park.

How can you not adore the Sculpture Garden?! Besides being free, it is a fantastic place to enjoy art...right on the edge of downtown. The grounds are well-cared for and bloom with flora and fauna in warmer months. The sculptures are also well-maintained and allow you to get right up to them for the best viewing. You can't beat the cityscape views from the garden either. The Minneapolis downtown is literally right next door. Also next door is the Walker Art Center, making a double-stop almost a must-do. Not too far of a walk away is also the Minneapolis Institute of Art. The garden is open year-round. Due to location, there is no free parking but, the pay lot at the Walker is reasonably priced, especially if you're hitting more than one location while in the area. This is a gem in our city and we will always be back and brag it up!
Starlette Skye — Google review
The garden was redesigned and refreshed in the mid 2010s. If you haven't visited since then, I recommend going. The new portion on the hill next to the Walker has a zigzagging path, a grove of chalk maples, and offers some nice views of the park and the Minneapolis skyline beyond. A day off school and beautiful fall weather made for a memorable outing for our family.

This was a really cool free walk around when we were visiting Minneapolis recently. On a nice day bring a picnic. I would wait a few weeks as the plants were somewhat dormant still.
Nicole Sellers — Google review
We got to check it out later in the day, and it was really pretty and the moon was popping out! I really enjoyed walking around and learning about the different sculptures. Parking wasn’t hard to find, and there was people there, but not too many where it was crowded or hard to walk around and see the sculptures.
Ann Hajostek — Google review
Beautiful garden, gentle walking paths, art pieces were spaced nicely to allow photos. Obviously a popular spot on a day with nice weather but not so crowded as to interrupt personal enjoyment of the space. Bathrooms and food trucks available. It was $6 to park in a parking garage. Take your time and enjoy the variety of art pieces.
The Minneapolis Institute of Art is an expansive and impressive art museum that covers 5,000 years of world history in its vast collection. Spanning a wide range of styles and disciplines, the MIA is home to some of the most iconic pieces in American and international art. With exhibitions constantly rotating and a vast traveling collection, the MIA is a must-see for anyone interested in fine arts.
Amazing Museum. Love the interactive rooms and the variety of art pieces from around the world. They’re amazing about Covid-19 precautions and so be sure to bring your vaccination card or proof of vaccination and be kind to those who are working their asking for them. Food/Cafe is up and running there. Staff that work there were amazing and helpful. And IT IS OPEN UNTIL 9PM. Can we all just appreciate that? 9 PM!! Good job MIA.

Incredible, huge, three-story, free art museum with ongoing exhibits as well as various rotating and traveling special exhibits that have a fee (however, those exhibits usually offer free days as well). I have spent many hours over many days over many years and yet I STILL haven't seen everything even in the ongoing exhibits. You should make a reservation for tickets for special events but usually you can walk-in and still get a ticket, even for those. They have a fun, free Family Day event the second weekend of every month with fun activities and a take-home tote. You can also get a free or paid membership (different levels have different benefits). Definitely donate if you can as well, to help support the museum. There is a gift shop as well as a couple restaurants on site. They offer a free coat check and self-service lockers, which is great for winter when you don't want to lug your coat around. The museum is located on the bus route and there is free on-street and some paid parking lots available. Sometimes they offer free shuttles as well. The museum is accessible with ramps and elevators and offer free wheelchairs for use (which was so helpful when I was there while on crutches). We love the fun, family-friendly Rock the Cradle event they host with the Children's Theatre Company in March and the beautiful Art in Bloom event in the spring.

An incredible experience, and FREE!? My only regret is only leaving myself an hour to explore. There's two floors of beautiful art. You could spend a whole day immersed, easily.

One of the greatest museums in Minnesota. The admission is free, you pay only if you want to go to the special exhibitions (that change from time to time). Special attention o the historical exhibitions from Asia, Pacific Islands and Africa. Plan ahead to start the for at least 4 hours to see most of the things. The restrooms have changing stations. Some times it is difficult to find parking spots close to the main building

It’s been years since I’ve been to the art museum. And having worked and lived abroad in China for more than 10 years, I was curious to revisit the Chinese collection in the Asia exhibition hall. My goodness! I spent half a day and didn’t even get see everything. Need not to mention the other halls in the entire museum. 3 floors worth of pieces from all over the world. You will find something that will excite you. Seriously, I could spend days here. Anyway, admission is free but a donation is highly recommended. There is paid parking next door but if you come early, there’s free street parking. Without a doubt, I shall have to visit again!

Blessing that this museum is free entry (except for special exhibitions) and delivers a high quality experience nonetheless. Some really cool exhibits across European, Asian, African and American art that can take up multiple days to fully explore. Worth a visit while you’re in Minneapolis!

I have always loved the MIA since I was a small child. It's a place for all-ages. It has new galleries pretty frequently.
There is a nice sensory-friendly area on the first floor for young children and families. It's a bit more quiet and less brightly lit. There are plenty of seats, bathrooms, and fun things to touch and / or play with; i.e., a chessboard, books, and the wall is textured.
My favorite part of the whole trip was visiting the area of photographs entitled: The last safe abortion. The importance of Roe V Wade is highlighted in this piece, which recognizes and honors abortion work in this large photographic body of work from the Midwest. The visual storytelling of this piece shows people answering phones, holding training sessions, scheduling appointments, and handling logistics.
Another fun exhibit is The Staff Art Show. I enjoyed the diverse variety of artwork in its different forms in this area. From everything to a mirror, to zines, and objects that the artist's children have discarded, there is something for everyone.
The newest exhibit is In Our Hands Native Photography 1890 to now. The exhibit is visually attractive, and worth exploring. It was a bit crowded, because it's newer, but it was enjoyable.

Absolutely insanely amazing... Literally filled with wonders. The Mia is huge and has an INCREDIBLE amount of wonderful art. I was there 3 hours and didn't even get through one floor. I think I spent two hours just in the Asia exhibits and I didn't even see everything in there. Time flies by when there's so much to get immersed in. I think it would take me days to truly appreciate all of the art.
If you like to sketch, definitely bring your materials! I had a blast :D
And Mia is completely free!!! (Although everyone should make a donation to this wonderful place). I would put this at the top of the to-do list when in the Twin Cities. Hopefully I'm back in Minneapolis soon so I can designate a few full days to the Mia:)
The facilities were very clean and there is plenty of room to social distance even with a good amount of people visiting (I was there on a Wednesday 11am-2pm). Lovely staff as well and they do have a self-service coat check with lockers. As of 4/27/22, masks are optional although many guests still masking when I was there:)
Very accessible by bus too!

Spent a day at MIA and was very impressed by the beautiful art on display. Works by many masters are on display as well as regional artists. Too much to see for a one day visit. Will definitely be back to finish our exploration. We went on a Saturday and we never felt rushed or crowded. Entry was free, but we did pay to see the Latin America exhibition.

Even if there were a reasonable entry fee I'd have given this museum five stars. The fact that it was free was icing on the cake.
Lots of exhibits from various periods and geographies made for an excellent family friendly cultural experience.

I've been to quite a few art museums, and I think this one is the most underrated one. Solid collection all the way around, including really good Native American art and Japanese art collections. I have lived in a Minneapolis suburb for a lot of my life but have never visited. I was driving right past on a weekday after a meeting had ended sooner than expected, there was a parking spot right in front, and so I decided to take a quick tour.

This is honestly one of my most fav places to go to when I just need that feeling of reconnecting to the past. I feel more in one with our past history than I do today, so a lot like nature. I feel this has become an escape for me with my daughter. Just be very careful not to TOUCH anything. I was admiring the wood to one of the openings to an entrance and was tempted to lightly graze my fingers across it, and I did get redirected, but I understood. Highly recommend for kids and adults.

What I love about this free museum is it never seems busy, just because there is so much to explore and people spread out. There's so much more there than just typical paintings on the wall. You have Period Rooms start up to immerse you into the culture and settings that created those pieces. There is furniture and important functional and artistic designs to lamps and kitchen gadgets even. The arrangement by region is wonderful and let's you step through worlds. Definitely a spot to both come with others or alone.

MIA is a beautiful museum that is free to the public. It has a parking ramp for easy parking ($7 for the first two hours and an additional $1/hr after the initial two hrs) if you don't want the hassle of finding street parking. The building is shared with Children's Theater, which is a great place to catch a show if you have young ones. MIA has multiple floors to explore (stairs and elevators to choose from) with multiple restrooms (that are clean) on each floor for convenience. They also have a little cafe with tables and a little shop on the first floor. In my opinion, this museum is far superior in content than The Walker.

Such a great collection! What a welcoming place for tourists, the community and world. Experiencing the building's architecture is worth a visit alone. The admission was free! Really enjoyed visiting this MIA. It was a mix of an art museum and historical museum. Very unique the way they displayed various statues, sculptures, artifacts, & mediums of artwork. I liked the themed rooms from different regions. There is a cute cafe inside of the building as well. FREE admission as well!!! We went on a Saturday when there were no special exhibits being showcased, which is the only time there would be an entrance fee. Family friendly place. There’s even a children’s section in it. I would highly recommend coming here if you’re new to Minneapolis and looking for a staple spot to come visit!

MIA is such an amazing museum. There is SO much to look at. My favorite artist is Georgia O’Keeffe and one thing on my tiny bucket list was to see a real Georgia O’Keeffe painting in person, and I discovered from their website that they had 1 on display. Well, they, in fact, have 3!!! I was so excited. I think they may have 4, but my son took me, and we found 3 on the 3rd floor. There is SO much to see, and it took us like 2 hours to just look around the 3rd floor, so we determined that we would do 1 floor at a time in order to see everything on each floor and take it all in. There is on street parking or there is a little pay parking lot across the street which is what we did. It is free admission to look at the general displays. If there is a special exhibit, then there would be an admission cost.

An absolutely amazing art museum and a must see of Minneapolis. I visited on a Sunday morning which had significantly less crowds than I was expecting. Entry was quick and easy, the entrance was for free (which I’m not sure if it’s a recurring thing). It was very easy to navigate around the museum due to the signage and provided maps. I especially like that there is a list of must sees on the back of the map for those who only have a short amount of time to visit like I did. The layout is easy to navigate and separated in distinct periods that makes sense, nothing detracts from the pieces themselves, and it's overall an amazing experience. I can't wait to revisit with plenty of time to thoroughly explore all the exhibits.
The Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis's most-visited park is a beautiful 53-foot waterfall that tumbles over rocks and logs. The falls was previously known as Brown's Falls and it was immortalized by the 1855 poem The Song of Hiawatha by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
After visiting my first time. I had to bring my other better half son. On a cold -7 night. Parking wasn't an issue at 9pm and free of course this time of year. We made our way to the high falls then we made our way to the 2nd bridge. Not a sole in the park. I'll be back in the summer months. A great frozen in time high falls. Enjoy your window to the World behind the falls everyone!

A nice park and a nice waterfall. If you go down the steep steps by the side of the falls you can walk over an old stone bridge and walk along side the river... Very pleasant. Car Parking by meter in the Park Lot was $1.50 for 1 Hour.

Beautiful park with lots to see, especially the waterfalls. You will find many amenities at the area, like a restaurant and craft beers, as well as public restrooms and water fill stations.
If you are going to see the falls, be prepared for a little hike down, but it will be definitely worth it.
Getting here with a public transport was a bit of a chore, but nothing too complicated if you have some time to spare.

Beautiful park with nice scenic trails. If you’re just stopping to see the falls, I would say probably about 30 mins should be sufficient, but it’s beautiful so you might want to enjoy the view a bit longer. There’s pay parking right by the top of the falls. Close by, there’s a stair/trail leading to the bottom of the falls. I visited Memorial Weekend 2023, plenty of beautiful views, parking, and mosquitoes 🦟.

The waterfall was gorgeous, however.....the park is not maintained very well and there was a lot of graffiti on the surrounding structures. I'm not from here and I was surprised to see something so pretty treated like a sewer runoff....sad, people were smoking weed and drinking everywhere, not a place I'd bring my family back to, clean it up Minnesota, take pride in what you have.

Always love coming here. It's my favorite place in the city. Never been to the bottom in the Winter until today. It's definitely different than being down there in warmer weather.

Its so convenient to get to on the blue line, its a beautiful park in the fall and the natural waterfall is blissful to see. Cant believe this park exists in the middle of a major city! Great place to spread some of my grandfathers ashes.

I couldn’t believe this place was even real, it looked like straight out of a movie. We just stopped real quick to take a look at the waterfalls but you can rent a bike, rest or take a walk while being rewarded by a beautiful view. Parking is not bad at all, it was around $2/hour. I loved visiting during fall but I bet it would look just as beautiful during the summer!

Maybe because it's fall, but definitely would love to see this place in the spring and summer. Also hopefully with a bit of TLC to some of the areas. All in all what a wonderful visit.

I went to see the waterfall. For being in the city I was shocked by how clean it was. No vandalism. The nature aspect of the park is actually very nice. The trail was gorgeous and there's not a lot you have to do to get to the waterfall. The waterfall is super pretty and I went really early on a weekday so I had no problem parking and I only saw a few people.

This place is absolutely gorgeous any time of the year! I love coming here with my family, and any time we have an out of state visitor, we are sure to bring them here to see the beauty of Minnehaha.

Had a great walk near the waterfall. Although up close the water looked a tad bit dirty? Two of the stairs were closed and we could see graffiti on the wall so I'm not sure what happened there lol. But generally a very pretty area
The Mall of America is a huge shopping center with many stores including restaurants and an amusement park. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States.
Absolutely worth it! Don't be fooled that because it's a mall you'll have to spend money everywhere you go. But if you are treating this as a destination you should come with the idea of doing some experiences and enjoying your time even if you're not a shopper! If you have a family there's basically an amusement park in the very Middle where you can buy a pass to do all the rides and it's well worth it because the weather is always great indoors!

This place is pretty incredible. We are not from the area but have come to visit a couple of times and there’s always something to do for everyone. Nickelodeon Universe can be fun for the whole family. If you have multiple days you will be here, that is pretty much a whole day. We went on a Monday and lines were short until about 11:30 and then the crowds picked up. There are plenty of store options and food options here. Definitely recommend as there is something for everyone.

I love the Mall of America. It's a fun place to explore a huge number of stores, have something to eat or take in a movie. There is something for everyone to do even an indoor amusement park. And don't forget the LEGO store.

Nickelodeon Universe is an amazing park for EVERYONE. The park alone is worth visiting the mall. There's also a huge food court. It's just all around pure fun and excitement and something for everyone. It's impressive how many rides they can fit into such a small space, the theming is vibrant and so inviting. There's also the Lego store and the Crayola store, also incredible! Highly recommended Mall of America and especially Nickelodeon Universe!

The Mall of America 🇺🇸 is the greatest shopping mall I've ever been to! It has everything you could ever want to buy or eat there, and the selections are varied and absolutely wonderful! You can't do everything in one day at the mall, so do plan on spending more time there. It's a fascinating place to visit, and I can guarantee that you'll have a fun time!

Over the years I have seen many an exhibit and store come through the wall of the Mall of America. This truly is a sight.
Even if you're not one for shopping, it's great to see all that's in store here. There's plenty of parking and for a mall that is extremely large, it's actually well designed. There are very few times where you will feel as if it's crowded.
As a tourist attraction, it's on my must visit list.

I used to live in Minnesota as a child and I love coming to this mall on the weekends. It's a 30min drive from my city, Minneapolis. It's one of the biggest mall in the U.S. hence the name. It has endless stores and it also has rides like an amusement park. If you ever in the area, you have to check out this mall.

The mall continues to be full of great stores, some that have closed in other areas. The amusement park in the middle looked like lots of fun, although we didn't use it. The food court has lots of options and there are also several full restaurants throughout the mall. Some coworkers and I were in Minneapolis for a work conference and had an enjoyable evening exploring the mall.

This mall is huge and have many stores also a place for the kids. A lot of walking I will say, parking is simple and free. The food options are great, they also have vegan options. This place is not crowded which is a plus. This is a place for kids and adults so give it a try.

It was a bucket list item to come here. I don't like to shop but there was plenty else to do. I really loved all of the various culinary options available. The mall was pretty clean. Bathrooms readily available though the signs could be better. There weren't any raucous youths running about while we were there. The amusement park looked cool. Attached hotels are also very convenient. If you don't shop/ride rollercoasters you could just come here to eat or people watch like we did.

Large mall. Lots of stores and food options. Very nice in appearance. The theme park in the middle is fun. Lots of activities - nerf and laser course, mini golf, amusement park rides, 5D movies, illusion room, axe throwing. It will cost you a lot to do all these things, plan on spending $. Average $20-30 per person/activity. They have unlimited ride wrist bands. Parking garage is big and 7ft clearance.

Your one stop for shopping, dining and having fun. I went early so it wasn't too packed. I walked around for 2 hours on 3 levels just to experience the largest mall in America. I like that they have kiosks all throughout to help you find what your looking for. Wear some comfortable clothing and good walking shoes.

Over 600 stores, a great food court (entire floor), movie theater on the top floor, and an amusement park in the center of it all. On average, it takes two days to really see and do everything, so pace yourself. Definitely worth the trip!!

Visited this mall on March 30, 2024.
I have heard so much about this mall before coming here but my experience left me little disappointed when it’s come to shopping.
There are many stores here but same store are everywhere else as well. There is no uniqueness in shopping experience.
If you consider other activities like Nickelodeon Universe (kind of fun activity park for kids and young ones) Sea life, Lego
Adventure park etc then it’s totally worth it.
This place is ideal for family with small kids. Here under one roof kids can play, eat and have lots of fun.
Bathrooms were not in good clean condition.
If you are coming from another state or from Canada for shopping only then there is no need at all. Spending in US $ will cost you more.
Three stars

Living so close to the mall...we visit here very regularly. Sometimes it's a quick stop...for either a particular item...or...a meal. Other times...we can easily spend the day here...shopping...going on rides...seeing a film...just browsing. It's been interesting to see it adapt...and...change over the years. Obviously...there is an insane amount of variety to be found...everything from clothing...to dining...to top-notch entertainment choices...and...then some. There really is something for everyone. Also...the fact that Minnesota doesn't charge tax on clothing...or...shoes...is a huge draw for people. There is plenty of free parking all around the mall. You can always find a spot...no matter how crowded it is. There is also a newly-remodeled transit hub with both city bus...and...light rail service onsite. Many local hotels also provide shuttles to...and...from both the mall...and...the airport. Several hotels are within walking distance to the mall...with two being directly attached. The mall is a place that we will always come to because...it's in our backyard...and...we love it.

Bring good walking shoes and come early! Being the largest mall of America the parking lot gets packed! I was fortunate to arrive early on a Friday morning (around 1015) and parking was great, but when departing the parking lot was completely full! there are 3 plus levels in this mall and an amusement park inside! I recommend making room for two days at this mall to experience all it has to offer! This includes all the commons stores you will find at other malls, local shops, and activity stores.

This place is amazing. There’s so much to do here you can check out all the stores they have and see if you can find any good deals or there’s always the amusement park. There’s tons of fun activities to do here. I really like The Amazing Mirror Maze and the 5D Extreme Attraction. I highly recommend checking out as many of the events and attractions as possible and they have so many different kinds of food to choose from while you spend your day at the mall. This place is a dream on earth. Definitely can’t recommend checking it out enough.

This is not a quick stop visit.
Plan on spending at least a day, if not 2, in order to see the whole mall.
There are sports stores, antique stores, department stores, unique stores, and a fabulous food court.
My husband and I.
Walked over seventeen thousand steps in about four hours.
They have family activities at the Nickelodeon, Sea World, and Lego land, just to name a few. The food court offers a worldwide variety
Of tastes.
The mall is a magical place around the holidays with all its decor and musical concerts.
We always look forward to spending the day here

In the world of retail, food and entertainment, MOA has got it all. It's only 10 minutes from the MSP airport and surrounded by plenty of hotels that offer free shuttles. A Lyft or Uber is also very convenient, even during the colder winter months. This place has tons of stores to choose from to get anythingyou could need, and even multiple locations of some. The movie theater is nice, and the Nickelodeon theme park in the middle is amazing. It offers a ton of neat rides for all ages. The mall is set up like a 4 leaf clover with 4 levels, but most stores are located on the first 3 floors, with the 3rd floor being packed with different food options. It took us 2 full days to actively walk around and enjoy the whole place. We traveled from Tampa and made a weekend out of it. The only downside is having to carry your jacket and purchases the whole time. They do have lockers you can rent, but they can be pricey. Every time we looked the longest line to get into a store was for Legos! Overall, it's an awesome, safe place with tons of security everywhere you look. Definitely recommend a trip to check it out.

I have been coming to the Mall of America since it opened. It’s definitely worth seeing. It does get busy during the holidays but is a fun experience. The amusement park is even fun to walk through if you have time. It’s safe and clean and the employees are friendly. I haven’t had any bad experiences—and I’ve been here many many times

I always saw this on the Travel channel when I was a kid, dreaming of being able to come here. Visiting for the first time as an adult, crazy to see how large this mall is as well as the variety of food, shops and entertainment there. At the end of the day it is just a mall so as an adult it was ok but the kid in me would have been super excited to see it live. Very good place to take a family, lots of entertainment things to do and see.

Amazing place. Has a very diverse collection of shops and boutiques. The Lego land in side is astonishing. Great place to bring your kids. They have a full on amusement park I side the mall at it's center. Has the best food court I've ever been in. And that includes places I've been to In Vegas. The price rages from a couple bucks. To a couple thousand bucks. They also put on live bands performances. If your coming to M.O.A. for the first time. Plan ahead and get there early if you want to see the whole mall. It could possibly take a week. If your a browser and take you time In each store.

Clean, easy parking on east ramp, really fun to walk around, lots of places we don’t see in our home town. The legos were impressive. The theme park was especially fun. I like the option to pay per ride using points. We even saw a jazz band play in the atrium.

I’ve always wanted to visit the mall and finally did. I wasn’t disappointed but maybe more so expected more. The coolest part was the theme park area with the rest of the mall just a supersized version of a mall in any bigger city, sure there are special stores and TONS of normal stores but nothing really stood out to me. That being said I think it is a must visit to cross off one’s bucket list if nearby. I drove around 9 hours, because it’s always been on my bucket list, and can say it probably wasn’t worth the drive but there are other things to do in the area and that makes it worthwhile overall.

This place is the full standard for malls. I think they set the bar really high. I'm my opinion, having seen so many shopping malls falling into bankruptcy, they need to look at their playbook. This place was packed, and not just the amusement park. Yes. An amusement park in the mall. I said it. I love how every few hundred feet they have an electronic map with directions. Brilliant! I have been to so many malls in my years. This lives up to the hype. Did I mention an aquarium? The list is way too long, folks. If you're in Minneapolis MN and you have a few hours to kill. Here you go. You won't see it all, though.

I missed visiting a mall like this one. I came from Birmingham and there is nothing compared with this mall. The variety of restaurants, stores, attractions, and that Nickelodeon park are amazing! (Except for the Crayola adventure) It is that kind of place where if you don't have any plans but want to hang out, you will feel you made something in your day, from walking, eating something yummy, enjoy the park or another attraction, going shopping, drinking with your friends... This mall has something for everyone
Modern rooms in a Caribbean-themed casino resort with a golf course, bowling alley & indoor pool.
Top notch service as always! Very friendly and helpful staff! Our kids had such a great time at the kids quest that even after 2 hours they really didn't want to leave! Was sad to see the beverage stations gone, but relived to find out complimentary pop was still offered at the bar. Also noticed employees walking around taking drink requests. I think these were smart ideas. We had a great time on the machines! Wish we could've stayed longer :) can't wait to return! We did miss the buffet, but I thought I saw it was opening again soon?

I don't think we will ever go back here. The only thing that is decent is the bowling alley.
We went there to the casino on a mini road trip. Decided to try our luck. We get there, no parking, no events going on, valet is full. Etc. After we do finally find a spot after waiting, we find that almost every machine is full to the max. Decided to try and find a drink station. The drink stations are now machines that you have to pay for, they are no longer free and self serve. . We lost money in the machine because it did not dispense our drinks.
For the machines for themselves gave nothing. Did not get one bonus screen, cashed out 4 cent winnings. Pretty tight in a area full of people that need to make money.
We go to Grand Casino and their Casino is up to par. Bonus screens, you can sit there for hours and still break even at least. It's fun, clean and the service is much better.

Went for a concert. Their event center does not have a bad seat in the house! It's a Great venue :-) we stayed in the Buffalo Tower and it was pretty good. We got food from Currents and Trade winds. Both were good. Our server at currents told us that they were very short staffed. We did have a bit of a wait but she was very pleasant. Overall good experience

Treasure Island (T.I.) is always fun to go to. It is children friendly with its bowling, arcade, and swimming. I give the rooms a 4 only because last time I was there some rooms are updated and others are old. If T.I. has updated all their rooms then I give 5 starts. Depending on who I have interacted with I usually get great service, but there's always a chance I get the person in a mood. The location is a little far from the Twin Cities area and you have to take city roads to get there.
I prefer mystic lake because it seems the slots are looser there, but I have won at T.I. just not as much as Mystic Lake. I would recommend going there if you're in the area.

Check-in staff friendly and accommodating even with a long line. Worked effectively and all appeared friendly. We were in the Wolf Tower and had a great room. Modern, spacious, comfortable bed, lots of pillows, chair, bench, refrigerator, safe, nice bathroom/shower. Used the pool area, adults only area, hot tub, swim up bar and outside area. Friendly and attentive bartenders. Casino is smoke free and has usual variety. Live music was nice. They now have vending machines everywhere so not sure if you can still get free pop, watet, coffee like you used to. The one place they consistently fall short is food options. Very limited options, slow service and just all around disappointing. Otherwise good overall trip

I was really pleased with this property especially after reading all the bad reviews. This casino is worthy of any Vegas hotel! The staff was super friendly, the rooms (we stayed in the new addition) were very nice, everything was very upscale. Tons of slots! Lots to do! Prices are reasonable $5.00 for a Miller Lite. We will definitely be back.

The hotel room was in the Buffalo tower. It is quite dated. There were no outlets near the bedside table to hook up phone charge. The only ones we could find were across the room or on the bathroom! The water after the shower would not completely shut off. We were thankful for the shuttle and the driver was very nice! We ate in one of the restaurants and it was OK. It's on a Saturday night so things were backed up. We had fun playing black jack!

Worst casino ever. They have become extra greedy over the past 6 months. Nothing but lying and cheating and stealing our hard earned money.
This place takes your money offering very little in return. Not even a little fun while you lose! Every machine every time is nothing more than dead spins and empty bonuses on repeat!
Not too long ago, Treasure Island was actually an okay place to gamble, we actually prefered it over other casinos in Minnesota and Wisconsin, but not anymore.
We keep coming back hoping this time will be different and better, but unfortunately every visit ends up being worse than the one before!
They have replaced fun and fair gaming with stealing and cheating fueled by their overwhelming level of pure greed.
Because of this they are quickly losing their once loyal customer base.
From 12.15.2023 thru 4.8.2024 we (husband and I) have lost approximately $22,000 (see some of the detailed examples below)
They are intentionally stealing from me and the hundreds of others that walk through their doors on a daily basis.
Seriously people we all need to STOP GAMBLING AT TREASURE ISLAND!
If we don’t come, they have no one to steal from and if they can’t steal from us, they will be the ones losing.
Maybe when they are the ones losing they will finally realize that greed is bad for business
Best of luck to you all

My god they had games I've never seen before. The food was especially good and the people there truly want your time to be enjoyable. Kids quest was fun for my kid. She had a wonderful time said the Mac and cheese was delicious. Parking was easy and not complicated. You have to smoke outside but it was well worth the trip. Bingo slots resort kids quest or babysitters table games and a really nice hotel. Thier promotions were way better than other places I been to and guest services was not only helpful but all around good people. Our time was relaxing and fun I will be coming back to treasure island resort and casino!!!

The hotel was nice, good band was playing and most of the staff was really nice. Was at the arcade and the server went down and they wouldn't refund my money or the other three people I was with so just wasted $40, told me that the money stays on the card for ever but I don’t live close at all and didn’t want to come back in general. The lady at the arcade was kind of rude towards us when I asked if she could help us.

For me, it's a relatively close by casino. But by and large, it contains a plethora of cheaply realized slot machines, that aren't cheap to bet on... While it makes for a way to burn a few hundred dollars and an afternoon, it's more of a beating than enjoyable. Payouts are small and infrequent. Not enough to maintain interest or actually have fun...
And, it's quite common to see two identical machines with completely different minimum bets available. One id played was 30 cents. It's 100% identical twin say next to it, but its minimum better was 45 cents.
It's clean... And usually quite busy... But the shine the place used to have, seems gone - replaced instead with the unvarnished greed of money making.

Went there for concert. Didn't stay in a room so I couldn't give it a rating. Parking was fine but leaving was horrible. Took almost an hour to leave the area and this was two hours after the concert. The casino is great. Lots of table games and slots. Poker room has 7 tables and played 3-6 kill and 2-100 spread with no cap. I enjoyed the room. Only downside was couple dealers seemed to be beginners and no fountains for drinks for pop/coffee. Had to ask waitress or bar.

We used to come here regularly years ago and go to the seafood night at the buffet. Now that it finally reopened after the pandemic, we were really looking forward to coming back. Unfortunately the new reservation/waitlist system is a borderline scam likely designed to get walk ins to gamble for hours on the off chance of getting in. We had this happen to our group and ended up leaving without getting in to the buffet. The best part is the casino wasn’t nearly as busy as it used to be and from talking to the staff it sounds like a good portion of the reservations are no shows and there are tons of empty tables. Definitely won’t be back.

This is a very nice hotel and casino near Redwing, MN. They have a large gaming area, I honestly find the layout a bit confusing after several visits. They have a wide variety of modern slots, classic penny slots, a large table gaming area, as well as a bingo annex. The casino is non-smoking however there is a nice large smoking area with its own bar, so you could easily be in there the whole time. One of the biggest drawbacks in my opinion is the lack of free refreshments. There are Pepsi machines all over where you can purchase a $3 bottle and there are bars stocked with various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. There is a buffet and several eating establishments right off the gaming floor but honestly I don't know anything about any of that. If you're new, as I recently was, it would probably help to have a friend go with who knows the ropes. Their new member promotion included a spin on a wheel if you could accumulate 10 points. I was surprised to find out it cost several dollars for each point. It ends up costing like 11 dollars and then I only won $8 free play on the wheel. Having pointed out the opportunities, I have gone 4 times and won $100, lost $10, and came up even twice. Staff has been friendly except for one unusual experience with a somewhat hostile bartender - apparently standing at the bar and ordering a drink might be a trigger for some, you're supposed to order from the little corral bars thing. Overall a good casino, I will definitely go back.

some of the employees were quite rude, They have a lot of stupid rules. If you get one of their scooters you cannot have any alcohol. they only allow only drink at a time. So you have to completely finish one before they'll give you another.
The rooms are very nice and I love the pool area. I don't like that. The pool doesn't open till four in the afternoon and closes at ten. They do have good promotions.

Nice, smaller casino. Has a lot to offer. Bowling, pool, spa, buffet, golf, and entertainment. When you get the players card, you receive some great promotions. Also, come on your birthday month and receive more promotions like $1 off every year you were born from your hotel room. They have tables, slots, and more. It is a destination to go to, even if you don't even like to gamble. The only thing is that some of the older hotel towers need to be upgraded. They have some great acts that come. The staff is really friendly.

Recently stayed here overnight with some friends. The hotel rooms are fine but a little dated. I do know they've been updating and some of the sections of the hotel have newer rooms that are very nice. They have a massive parking lot but a shuttle found us and drove us and our stuff to the front door which was very nice.
I enjoy playing roulette but this was located in the smoking section which is fine but after awhile it was a little much.
Overall I had a great time and will return.

We didn't stay overnight this trip but haven't had any negative issues with rooms in the past, so I gave 5* for rooms. Service is still pretty spotty, but the buffet has opened for certain days. It was open for Easter brunch, and it's open for Mother's Day. Hopefully more times soon. Finding a drink person walking the floor is near impossible, and they don't have any self-service stations open yet. Getting a drink at the bar is near impossible also because the line is always long and usually just 2 bartenders are working. They need to have a water/soda only line available. That would be super. Lots of workers are still seen wiping down machines and chairs. I always thank these workers. Smoking by the entrances is just terrible. They are too close to the doors, and you have to walk through a cloud of smoke. Smoke if that's your thing, but for non-smokers, this is just awful. They need to be farther away from the doors if they're smoking.

The rooms were probably the nicest ice ever stayed in that we didn't pay extra for. Large with high ceilings and nice bathroom. The shower was amazing. It was actually large with glass shower doors. No cheap flimsy curtain that always gets in the way. Adjustable shower head and hand held wand that actually works and has great water pressure. My only complaint is the lack of cover space in the bathroom. Bed was nice, albeit a little hard. But that's a personal preference. Good size fridge and a safe round out the amenities. The food was very good, and the service was good for the most part. We ate in the currents restaurant one evening and it was way too loud. No sound deadening items other than the seats you sat in. One almost had to yell in order to talk to the person next to you. Not an exaggeration. The waitress we had that night was horrific. She joked about things she shouldn't have, never checked on us, and forgot things we asked for. I would not eat there again. We did not try any of the other restaurants, hopefully they are better. The casino portion is easy to get lost in. The casino staff was very helpful and polite. The gift shop could use a few more items, especially men's clothing. Parking is plentiful, although an extra shuttle or two wouldn't hurt so one doesn't have to wait so long, or walk a mile. The carts to help get your luggage to your room or back to your car are also few and far between. You need to be quick in order to get one. Overall it was a good experience and I would stay here again. The live entertainment was awesome with the Rockin' Hollywood's, and the MOTM car show was extremely cool with a parking lot full of Mustang's. From the classics, to the newest ones you could buy.

Moderate sized casino. Lots of slots new and old. Someone won $26k on a slot when we were there! I'd come back to play also.

We were in the Buffalo tower and our room was well used. I did not feel the cost of the room, equalled the value. I heard from other guests, that their room was better. Current Restaurant was awsome and for us the best value.. it seemed that we had to wait on lines for everything. Not too many guest, just not enough staff like most places. But the staff we did interact with was friendly, helpful and awesome.

We had a great time. Just a quick one night visit to the Casino. Really loved the non-smoking gaming areas. All the employees were very nice and helpful.

Had a great stay in a room in the newest of their towers. Neat and clean. Busy weekend there and didn't really experience any issues. Only thing that could have been better was the bar service. Little short on staff for the number of people in for the evening.

***NEW YEARS WEEKEND***
When reservation was made, a refrigerator was requested and upon check-in and arriving at room, it was awaiting by the door in hallway outside my room.
Shuttle was convenient and fast. We were able to ask front belt hop to page shuttle for instant ride to car out in overflow.
VIP event for New Year's Eve with the Midtown Men for show with dinner was spectacular. Great 60's theme and music to be enjoyed.

I'm not a typical patron - we stayed one night, came to see a show in the Parlay Lounge, no gambling. Not sure if there was a big event there that day, but there were tons of people and lines. Had a room in the Wolf Tower. There were no available luggage carts at check in time. The room was clean and we had plenty of space but it was overpriced at nearly 400.00 and no room service or literature in the room for food/things to do. The mattress was a bit crunchy. Went to see a rock show, there is a nice stage setup at Parlay Lounge was great and the sound engineer did a fantastic job w/lights & sound. There is no table service and the bar staff were extremely overworked and lines were long.

Recently returned from. There. The room in wolf tower was beautiful. The fact that there is no cleaning service for multiple night stY is horrible policy. The casino was okay. Loved the fact there is no smoking. However the machines were so tight. Not sure I will return
A great hike! It's unfortunate they put a rope on the the scary hike.

I was so impressed. There's a huge parking lot across from the hiking trails. I went to the top on the west end overlook. And WOW. The trees are changing colors and the rock formations are huge, stunning. I went at 9am on a weekday. Not a soul round. A lovely hike. Once you're at the top you feel peace. There's a but of stairs, nothing crazy. Walking along the cliff side with the rope is kind of scary if you're afraid of heights like me, lol. So worth it though. Red Wing is a pretty little city.

Great place to hike and take drone shots (if it's not too windy). Get a good pair of shoes on and get hiking.

Beautiful river and valley views with quarry history hike. Nice parking lot and trail head south side by NSP Plant. About one hour walk with lots of stairs.

Absolutely beautiful views!! The trails are very clearly marked and easy to follow, and it's the perfect balance of feeling like you've accomplished something getting to the top without feeling like you're dying. We timed it so we were at the top (east overlook) right at sunset and it was amazing 😊

Spectacular view, it’s a easy to moderate hike. Lots of steps but definitely worth the climb. It’s about 30minute to reach the top and another 30minute down, this is a leisurely hike. My husband and I took our boys age 6 and 9 and they loved it.

Beautiful hike. be careful, especially if it is wet, and if it says that part of the trail is closed, honor the signs. It has a great view of the river and the town, when you get to the top. Fall is so pretty , but I imagine that any time of the year would be nice to hike this.

Like many others have said, this place is amazing. I visited this park on 3/3 right when it started to warm up! Even at the end of winter this is the place to visit. Even if the trails are wet and sloppy, once you reach the top, its evident that God is one of the best artists off all time.
This is an easy walk up for anyone to conquer. Paved paths make for any easy navigation to the top. This is a great place to bring the family.

A 485-acre preserve exhibiting local & global animals from Russian grizzly bears to butterflies.
The Minnesota Zoo is a wonderful place to visit, whether or not you're into animals. A vast collection of animals from all over the world keeps every trip interesting. The Tropics Trail and Grizzly Coast both immerse you in a different world than what we are used to, in opposite climates. There's plenty to learn and lots to do. Also a great place for little ones! Just make sure they know how to respect the animals.👍

Very nice zoo. The animals appear well cared for. Lots of places for children to play. Decent options for lunch or a snack. Some nice touches, like the Llama trail, where you can walk around with the animals. My favorite was probably the Tropics trail with a number of beautiful birds. Can't wait to go back later in July when the tiger cubs are old enough for their debut!
Kimberlyn Bauhs — Google review
We have a membership and love taking our toddler. Every time we visit it's a new experience. Our favorite things are the bird show, the llama trek where you get to walk with the llamas and pet them, the farm where you can feed the animals, and the play area with splash pad. Our toddler also loves the bee hive play area. Get the membership and go early in the membership only time frame if you want less people. The membership will also make you feel better about a shorter trip if the kids get restless and you need to head home before seeing everything.

It was kinda expensive; $51.90 for two people & parking. I would have hoped there would have been more to see for those prices. Also, the constant ask to "round up and donate more" when you already paid quite a bit for entry is annoying. The signage in the park isn't that great either, and they did away with paper maps (understandable), but better signage would be nice! We did enjoy the nature walk but would have liked to see more animals!

This zoo is super unique and I appreciate how they preserved much of the existing forest and landscape. It was a fantastic walking path. Tickets are $21.95 for adults, but my 1 year old niece was free. They have a food court as well. I don’t know if they have maps, but we definitely needed one because it is easy to get turned around. This zoo is a lot of walking and there are somewhat hilly walkways, but they have elevators to go from the walkway down to the zoo.

Absolutely gorgeous! It seems to be under construction and updates right now, but still lots of animals! Not many food kiosks/stalls open at the moment. Enough that it wasn't too bad though. We even got to see a newly born bison!!

Minnesota Zoo is a wonderful experience for adults and youngsters.
We enjoyed the scenic walk by the lakes and all the wildlife along with the exotic animals from around the world.
It was fun to see the baby animals especially the prairie dogs, goats, chicks and little bison.
A carousel ride costs only $2 per person. You do need to purchase it on a machine next to the ride. You will get a coin to use for the ride. The carousel is gorgeous and ornate with beautiful artwork of nature and animals. What a lovely memory!
The aquariums were amazing! The shark tank was really cool. The smaller tanks were neat as well. There was a large variety of sea creatures including sea otters, a seal, sharks, a spot fin porcupine fish, a sting ray, sea horses, clown fish, leafy sea dragon, sea turtle, eels and many more. There are two areas you are able to touch the creatures if you like. In one pool there are small sharks.
In the other area there are anemones and star fish.
All the exhibits give you the opportunity to read about the creatures and the habitats they come from.
The restrooms are family friendly with baby changing stations and step stools for the little ones. Thank you for being prepared for families!

We love the MN Zoo! We went to see the dinosaur exhibit they have right now. Besides the heat, my kids enjoyed it. They even walked/ran through to see the dinosaurs a couple times. I have hyper kids, so another great part about the Zoo is the play areas, interactive spots, & splash pad for kids(& adults)! Another thing to remember if you visit, online ticket purchase a head of time is required, & check their daily schedule for the animal feedings, bird or dolphin show, & kids activities. One more thing, if you have a large family(like us), the membership is worth the price!

Had a great time on Tuesday with my 4yo daughter. We walked part of the brand new Treetop Trail. I loved seeing parts of the zoo I hadn't seen in 10 years when the monorail was retired. More importantly I enjoyed the message behind the trail as it focuses on overall wellness, reflection, and mindfulness.
We got some great shots of the tigers, puma, and birds from the 3pm Bird Show. I had not seen the show in years and this was my daughter's first time. She enjoyed it and was bummed when she wasnt picked to volunteer.

Great place to walk around and the newly completed Tree Top Trail was very convenient. It had multiple spots where you could get off if you wanted to see a group of animals from the main trails instead of from above. It also had benches set up throughout.

With the uncommonly warm weather in December, we were able to go for a walk and enjoy the zoo on a sunny afternoon.
We walked along the tree top trail and then went down on the ground level trail to see animals more closely.
Then there was the nice warmth and moisture of the tropical display inside of a building entirely dedicated to the theme of animals and plants from this band of nice climate around the “ central belt” of the Earth. Did you know more than half the species of animals on the globe live in this geographical zone?

Awesome outdoor and indoor trails, well done educational information suitable for all ages, amazing animals and birds from around the world and from land, air, and sea. We were so lucky to see the new baby Bactrian camel! It was a lovely early spring day with many people but not crowded on a Friday. Always a fantastic experience full of interesting things to see, do, and learn.

Such an awesome zoo. It's obvious that the animals are well taken care of. It would be nicer if there were more maps along the way (we got pretty lost) or even an app with the map. But still a fun time. The tropical exhibit is AMAZING! The primate house is a little underwhelming. It's really awesome that they have an exhibit dedicated to Minnesota plants and animals. Definitely a great place to learn!

This zoo is beyond amazing!
The layout is setup in a very thoughtful way, that makes the flow move smoothly, and transitions for kiddos easy.
The highlights for our family were the camel rides, the llama trek, the dolphins, and the Dino Hideout exhibit! We had no idea about the Dino exhibit, but WOW that made our trip to the zoo even more memorable. My two boys were absolutely obsessed, and it was set up in an area that was very kid friendly. The kids were able to run around and check out the Dinos, and do some playing in the play area setup. Great little break from all the walking and looking!
The zoo does have bathrooms and kiosks all over to make sure you and your people have lots of options for hydrating and bathroom breaks. With a 6 and 4 year old, these were both very important on a 90 degree day!
The zoo was quite clean, staff very friendly, and the attractions were fantastic. Lots of opportunity to learn, have fun, and experience the amazing creatures living there.

There has never been a bad time at the zoo for us. With so many different places the kids are always entertained. The Bird Show is a must see for all ages(spoiler alert have a dollar bill ready)

Fantastic zoo! The employees are friendly, happy and very knowledgeable. The animals are beautiful, animated and obviously well cared for. Came for the day and ended up buying a year pass. Can't wait to come back in the evening . Even more excited for the high walk to be completed at the end of the month. If you have never been here, what's wrong with you? Go!!!!

I love the Minnesota Zoo. I enjoy the new trail tree top walkway. It is a beautiful way to see the animals.
I also like to get down close to the animals and the zoo has built many enclosures that allow you to be safely feet away from the animals and still not disturb them.
The food choices are nice and the new order kiosk allows you to order, grab a pager and then wait comfortably at your seat.
Parking was abundant and the dolphin interaction was fun, but short.
I would love to see the monkeys have a little more space to roam as their enclosure was small.
The wolf enclosure was also somewhat limited for the animal and it didn't have anything to keep them busy or entertained.
Overall it was a wonderful day at the Minnesota zoo. I highly recommend you visiting and supporting this zoo.

We went on a clear blue sky unseasonably warm Thursday in February and thoroughly enjoyed the Treetop Trail in the sun. The animals also appeared to be enjoying the sun as they snoozed in their sun splashed habitats. The sea dragons and sea horses were some of my favorite critters, but being able to watch beavers from an underwater perspective was priceless. I had no idea how cute they are when they swim around like big burritos with rudders. If I could have a pet beaver, I'm all in. He can even sit on my couch. Oh! I almost forgot to mention there was one fish in the tropical pool underwater viewing area who also stole my heart. She wasn't described in the interpretative materials, but she looked a bit like a minivan with fins, and she was very curious about my phone. She posed for one of the pictures I've shared here.

I've already been to the zoo twice since moving here a month ago. It's beautifully laid out with fantastic walking paths and enclosures for the animals that are obviously very thoughtfully designed. Converting the old monorail track into a walking trail, The Treetop Trail, was a stroke of genius. I could sit and watch the snow monkeys for hours.
The food is a bit overpriced and not particularly great but it's a zoo so I'm not expecting fantastic dining. Lockers are available at a very low charge which is fantastic. Highly recommend a trip if you live close by and haven't been. It does get quite busy so I would recommend going early on a weekday if you can manage it.

We went to their Jack O Lantern spectacular. It was amazing. The pumpkin carvings were fantastic and the exhibits were set up beautifully.
It was a cold, blustery day but the event was packed. Our tickets were at 7pm. We waited a few minutes in line and then got to enjoy the event.
Sharon King — Google review
A very fun walk on a paved path, handicap accessible, through a wooded area full of thousands of beautiful, carved, and lighted pumpkins. It is a bit hilly and pretty dim in some areas but very doable for everyone. (My step count was almost 6000 by the time we were done). It was crowded, but you go at your own pace so easy enough to get out of the crowd. I can only imagine the amount of time and work that goes into doing this. Some of the pumpkins are up in the trees while others are on stands or elaborate displays. Take your time and enjoy all of them, it's worth the walk. I took lots more pictures, could only upload 50.

Very little updates(fresh paint, building accents, ect.), especially to the tropics trail building. We came March 1st, I would say about 65-70% of the exhibits had animals in them, but yet we paid full admission, and the prices are getting ridiculous. I understand the money goes to a good cause but it's just too much now
Nate Hovey — Google review
We went on an extra day off for the kids and it was not crowded at all. Animals appear well cared for, lots of conservation work information was provided, and the employees we encountered were friendly and knowledgeable.

Loved seeing the worlds largest boot. It has a cute self guided tour. That was fun. I love to see the history of things and see how items are made. If you do too, check out this store. I did treat myself to fun little item to take home to remember this visit as well.

I recently visited the Red Wing Shoe Store and Museum and it was an incredible experience! The highlight was seeing the world's largest boot, a unique and impressive sight. The museum exhibit on the second floor offered an insightful look into the history and craftsmanship of Red Wing Shoes. I was also thrilled to find the outlet store on the lower level, where items were marked 30-70% off. Although the selection was more skewed towards men's items, which was a bit disappointing as a female shopper, I understand that their products are often marketed more towards men. Overall, it was a delightful and educational visit, and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in unique attractions and great deals on quality footwear.

We were dropping off some boots that needed to be have new soles put on (my husband loves his work boot). We decided to shop their outlet downstairs, and we both left with a new pair of boots at about 40% off normal retail. The staff was helpful in measuring our feet to ensure we got the right size and width. We also each decided to try a pair of their lifetime warranty socks, but it may take a while for us to know how well they last.

I was here to see the World's Largest Boot which would be a size 638 1/2 D and was created to celebrate the company's 100th birthday. It took the hides of 80 cows and is over 20 feet tall. Forget wearing it - you could put a basketball team inside!
As well as the boot, there is a complete show store and the Red Wing Shoes museum that is well worth your time. I found it interesting and yes, the boots that are for sale are rather expensive. Extremely high quality and high quality isn't cheap.

Always wanted to go there and travelled all the way from U.K. to visit this store. Huge varieties and the store is very spacious. Other nostalgia like banners and socks and gloves can be found here including apparels. Downstairs in the basement is where you really get good deals, nearly all boots which you find in your local red wing shop you can find here, not all but a lot of them and various sizes. Was dealt by a lovely lady at the counter who was shocked that I came all the way from England. 1st floor/2nd floor(US) is where the museum is which tells you where it all started and who owns the company and what were the shoes originally used for. Overall great visit.

Expedition was amazingly talented. They had very good stage chemistry and seemed to really enjoy performing together. The food was okay and I was happy to see they had vegan options. I recommend the vegan meatloaf, there pasta primavera was greasy and not great. It's hard to navigate a wheelchair in the building and seemed very unsafe to have someone handicapped in the basement.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this place! We come every year for my birthday and it's never a disappointment. When we came to see The Little Mermaid we saw the understudy Laura Rudolph and she was so amazing we couldn't even imagine what the original Ariel (who took a break from the show to appear on Broadway) would have sounded like! Then we saw her as Sandy in Grease and I fell in love again!
Footloose is playing right now and it was so fun to see! They do a good job of using original songs or at least the music and changing up the words a bit while also adding new songs to make this stand out as special! Also, dinner/lunch is included for $18 extra. This might sound pricey, but you get bread, salad (dinner only), tea or milk, and an entree. Also, the food is delicious!
On a side note, I called ahead to see if they had a place for me to pump my milk as I'm currently breastfeeding and they let me use a conference room right next to the theatre/entrance whenever I needed it!
No hesitation, no problems, come to CDT!

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres in July 2023, and we had the absolute best experience! Not only is this venue gorgeous and really fun, but the entire process with their team, from early planning through post-wedding, was seamless and well managed. Jackie, Marta, Madysen, and the entire staff at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres were phenomenal to work with and really went the extra mile the make sure our wedding was a success. The wedding day ran smoothly, communication was great, the ceremony and reception spaces were spectacular, food was delicious, and service was excellent. We received several compliments from our guests about the venue and staff. Our wedding was magical, and we’re so appreciative of the work this venue did to make that happen.
When we were selecting our venue, we loved everything about Chanhassen Dinner Theatres’ wedding reception package. It is so comprehensive, fairly priced, and made the planning process quite a bit easier for us. Jackie, the Wedding & Events Manager, is amazing and is one of the many reasons we selected Chanhassen Dinner Theatres. She was so helpful throughout this entire process. We were also incredibly pleased with the team and vendors that came with the package, such as Corey our DJ, Tim from Minnesota Wedding Party, Buttercream Bakery, and the banquet staff. The ability to play music videos during the dancing portion of the evening was awesome. We added on the Mirror Photo Booth through Minnesota Wedding Party, and it was a huge hit! The photo booth was staffed by Mel, who was so fun and great with our guests. It was a really cool addition that we would highly recommend to others.

Finding a parking space on the lot can be challenging , but we always find space in the ramp. The shows are offered with dinner o just the show. We choose to get dinner elsewhere, the food at the theater can be quite good but a bit expensive. Either way a good experience. 👍 Marcelo J.

Chanhassen always had great performances and consistently good food and service. It makes for a very fun night out without the inconvenience of going downtown for a show. There is a limited but quality menu, so I think everyone could find something they like. Ticket prices include most meals, but drinks, apps, and desserts are extra. Valleyfair Amusement Park in Shakopee is a must-visit destination, spanning 125 acres and offering entertainment for visitors of all ages. Since its establishment in 1976, the park has expanded to feature over 75 rides, including eight roller coasters and Soak City water park.
I have been coming here since I was a kid. Simply put this place is a blast ever time I come here. They have all types of rides for everyone. Plenty of food drink and shanks. My fav ride is the wild thing!!!!! If you have never been here before then this place is a must to come check out!!!

Came here for opening water park weekend. We arrived when the park opened. It was really easy to find parking as the lot was mostly empty. Getting through the season ticket line was a little slow but we managed. They opened more lines as soon as we were called up to the window. Security was a breeze and we were off to the rides. We rode Northern Lights twice before they decided to shut it down for some reason. Steel venom also kept having issues as well. Hopefully they can iron out the kinks because it won't be a very good experience when the park is full during the summer.
A number of my favorite places to eat were also closed. I would assume due to the early part of the season? Everything is really expensive. It's nice that the place is cashless but plan ahead. We did the season water bottle pass. It pays for itself very quickly on hot days.
Though soak city was just opening nearly all the water slides were closed... disappointing. The kids really enjoyed the splash pad and wave pool though. Mad mouse or whatever it is called could use some major efficiency upgrades. Lots of waiting around on that one.
The wave, carousel, antique cars, wild thing, eagle flying ride, and a few others all went off without a hitch.
We'll be back. Hopefully they can iron out the problems for next time.

I really liked my first visit to Valleyfair. The park layout is a little odd, but my brother and I figured it out pretty quick. The place has great scenery, lots of plants, trees and there's a few coasters that really fit in their respective areas. Corkscrew over the water looks great. Wild Thing in the back, towering over everything. Valleyfair has a great energy. And their number one coaster, Renegade is awesome. One of the better GCIs for sure. Needs some smoothing in a couple spots, but other than that 10/10. High Roller, the park's other wooden roller coaster was also great. Nice force and air, while still being very smooth. Steel Venom was good, Wild Thing was bland, Corkscrew was also kinda bland. But I really enjoyed my visit, which was in the fall so it was pretty cold.
Overall a super fun Cedar Fair park worth visiting!

Had a blast! It was a Valley Scare weekend. Great weather for this late in October. Highly recommend getting Fast Lane Passes. Little spendy but once you don't have to stand in line for a ride for 30-60 min it's well worth it. The Halloween theme rides and decked out park was excellent! Had more fun on the streets than in the scary houses. Overall Fantastic time!

Well I'm pretty sure we picked the hottest day of the year to go. Also one of the busiest days since it was very crowded. Parking went up since we haven't gone in a couple years. $20 for single day and $30 for single day preferred parking. A long wait in line for popular rides, typically 40 minutes to 1 hour. Waiting in line 40+ minutes to order cheese curds and a turkey leg is not ideal. Soak City Water park was packed with barely any room to move around. Snoopy is fun for younger kids to enjoy the rides. Being here open to close isn't enough time to enjoy everything because you spend most of your time waiting in line. Be prepared to do a lot of walking.

There are rides for all ages, a variety of food options, and different package options to choose from as well. There is Caribou Coffee, Auntie Anne's, and Panda Express. I had a pretzel from Auntie Anne's and it was by far the best pretzel I have had. It was fresh and buttery. The employees were so courteous, kind, and helpful. Of course, many different restaurants as well. Lines go pretty quick, and there are plenty of shades throughout the park, even when waiting to get into your ride.

It can be expensive but there's lots of ways to make it enjoyable and save money. Buy your tickets ahead of time. They're about 1/2 price online. If you're a Sam's member, they're even cheaper. Go on a weekday, preferably Monday. You'll spend almost all your time standing in line if you go on a weekend. Pack a lunch and keep it in your car. You can get a ticket to come back in. Bring a bottle of water and refill it inside. Drink lots of water and skip the overpriced sugary drinks. I took my kids there for the first time. My parents took us there a few times 30+ years ago when I was a kid. It's really cool riding some of the same rides my dad rode with me when I was a kid. It's no Disney World, but it's as close as you'll get in the Midwest.

This park was a neat little find! I loved the tricks or treats atmosphere that just made it fun and family friendly. The decor was lovely and the shows were very entertaining! I took away a star because not all the Rollercoaster were running that day. The food could use some upgrading but for what they had it was pretty good. Definitely worth a visit with your Littles to trick or treat and do activities. 🧡🎃

Halloween themed weekends in Sept/Oct: great! 0-5min lines for rides, no heat, plus fun freebies for kids (candy trick or treating, costume contest, paint by number wall, etc). All water areas are closed for the season as well as some other rides. The fear rises are open, the majority! Definitely don't miss the ball factory in Snoopy's area right by the entrance after the monster ride. See photos. Kids can play here for hours while you parents relax a minute! Do know that everything is an extra charge however, arcade games, slime station, and of course all food/drinks.
Still, fabulous fun and best way to get on rides with short waits.
Tickets: get them online and search for a Groupon or other preseason deal. You shouldn't end up paying more than $30/person. And preschoolers can be free if you apply for that online ahead of time.
Enjoy! There's lots of great themed entertainment and music everywhere too.

First time here and I enjoyed it! It may not be Disney World or Universal Studies, but it’s still great to have a theme park in our back yard. There’s several ride we can try out, games to play, food (especially donuts, candies and funnel cake!) and several different attractions to entertain ourselves. I honestly look forward to going again!

The crew was very friendly and courtesy. Made great memories and the highlight of the summer. The park was very clean and the lines short. Great way to spend on a day off. Definitely be back next summer if not before. Buy tickets on line to avoid delay when you arrive. They do not take cash so card only. Have fun!

Valleyfair is older and in places it certainly shows in places like some of their food buildings but the important and safety conscious bits like rides they take strong care of. They have an incredible health care team so don't worry if you need a band-aid. You just have to find the buildings. They do have stations to fill up water bottles so bring them! The parking lot is pretty bad.

Fun for all ages, there's even rides for little kids. For some reason tickets online are way cheaper than paying at the gate. If you are going on busy days, fast pass would be good if you don't want to wait in line for an hour. Food & drinks are expensive! You can always re-enter so if you wanna save some money you can bring your own food from home and leave it in a cooler in the car. Kids are going to be super tired so strollers and trolleys would be really handy 😃

This was the highlight of my kid's summer vacation! Highly recommend going during the week and during the State Fair so lines are shorter. Bought 2 premium meal plans for 6 people and ate every 90 minutes. Drink refills every 15 minutes. Water park was a hit and the wave pool. Be sure kids are 48" or options for rides are more limited. Stayed until it closed at 10pm.

This is a biased rating because I used to travel the country visiting amusement parks and riding rollercoasters. I'll try to be even and fair.
I took my neighbor kids because I wanted to see what valleyfair! had morphed into since I hadn't been there in 10 years, I'll start with the positives:
-They kids had fun, I did too
-There weren't a lot of people there so that meant we didn't have to wait long to ride the rides. 10-15 minutes max.
-they built up the park by adding more rides(mostly kiddy rides) and removing some of the less popular rides.
-they improved some of the rollercoasters so that they ride better and lessened the braking to provide more speed.
Ex: high roller used to be so so slow with so much braking(unless that's my perception after visiting other parks much larger than vf).
I actually enjoyed riding the rides I hadn't wasted time on in the years of my rollercoaster days. As I said, we had fun.
The negatives:
-I fully understand that the park has to pay for their rides and upgrades, but, C'mon!, $25 to park, but, $40 admission fee for 60% of the rides? However, They haven't upgraded the type of ride that all parks know they must have to get people in the door or to come back again again and again, rollercoasters!! They appear to be so focused on making this a kiddy/family park that they are pushing away the thrill seekers around the world who are willing to spend big money on airfare, road trips, hotels, souvenirs, food and drink etc. Those people are repeat visitors who love big rides.
-They discontinued their share of the billion dollar Halloween business in "ValleyScare!" In favor of the kiddy/family park version. This is a huge waste of an opportunity that most other parks are taking advantage of.
-There is not a cheap "game of chance"(what parent wants to spend big dollars for their kids to learn to play a game that the kids don't even stand a chance at winning?), -Every game is $5 or more to play.
-Their food portions are small and the price is huge(that's why so many families bring coolers with food in their vehicles or have pizzas or door dash delivered to them). Pricing your food at more affordable levels gives customers a reason to buy your food).
-Lack of aesthetic landscaping(colorful flowers and theming), this park is blah. More Kings Island please. There is Halloween theming all over, though.
Conclusion: Please let me be clear, I WANT a park that I can be proud to call my park, to be able to brag about and not make excuses for, and to scream from the rooftops how great their thrill rides are. I realize that I've been ruined by all the parks out there that actually "get it". It's surprising to me that Cedarfair doesn't get it since they have their flagship park, Cedarpoint, which has 18 world class rollercoasters and averages 3-4 million visitors per year. If building up Valleyfair causes them fear that they are leeching business from CP, they shouldn't be, Six Flags(Great America)is already doing it with their emphasis on adding more coasters over the last ten years to 16 or 17. Building up Valleyfair will actually leech business from Six Flags and provide a rectangle of CF parks to road trip; VF to Worlds of Fun to Kings Island to CP to Michigan s Adventure and then throw in any other parks along the way. That is a recipe for success as long as you build up every park with great coasters. I suggest an inverted first, then a bigger RMC like, El Toro, and then work your way up. Give thrill seekers a reason to come here.
I warned you about my being biased.
For families with little kids, your kids will have fun and you will need lots of money.
For thrill seekers, Renegade, WildThing, Steel Venom is all you got. My advice is to drive the 6 hours to Six Flags.
Decide for yourself, but you should give Valleyfair at least one chance to earn your next visit.
For Valleyfair, don't we deserve better here in Minnesota? Please give us more coasters!

This is a great little park. Very clean and well taken care of. Plenty of parking and the lot is well lit. They have lots of great rides. Plenty of food to choose from. There's alot of little shops with merchandise from the park. Had a problem with my drink pass it was handle quickly. The staff is great!

This was my first vist to the park. They do not accept cash at any of the facilities. If you want any adult beverages make sure you have an ID regardless of your age. They have to scan your ID to sell adult beverages.
The park has a lot of options for adults and children alike. I recommend looking into buying online tickets for both the park, parking, and food prior to the visit. You will definitely save more money.

What a great park! On the smaller side for a Cedar Fair park, and only one real coaster that wows (Wild Thing) but it's a great atmosphere with lots of above-average rides. I managed to do everything I wanted (which didn't include the water park) between rope drop and 4 in the afternoon. I left for a couple of hours, came back in the hour before the water park closed to ride the one slide I was interested in, and spent the rest of the evening enjoying carnival parade and food and a few repeat rides.
It's a very weirdly-shaped park, with lots of dead-end corners. Make sure you make your way back to Thunder Canyon and Excalibur past the water park. This area has more limited hours but the ride ops back here are...something special. I wish the ops on Wild Thing had half their sense of fun!
I will say, food prep decently priced, but *horribly* managed. I went to the chicken shack and the system is just abysmal. It's up to the poor one girl working the register to keep up with what's needed out of the back kitchen - they really were shockingly slow all day. (The rest of the Carnivale food booths are better.) As for the parade, it's a lot of fun, but for most of the route, the sun is directly behind the performers, which makes it hard to take good pictures. For better shots, try for the stretch from the entrance to the main stage where it ends, or at the very beginning near Xtreme Swing, when it comes around the corner.
Sleek quarters in a plush hotel offering an indoor pool, a golf course, dining & a casino.
All the staff that I encountered were friendly and very helpful! Loved the smoke-free gaming area. I'm not much of a gambler, but have avoided casinos over the years due to the smoke. Glad they made a separate area for smokers. Took in a show at the Mystic Showroom and stayed one night in a Promenade Tower room which was modern, clean, and spacious. Great experience overall!

The rooms are nice.
The view is great.
The casino floor staff are amazing.
The staff and food at the Asia fusion are 5 star (seriously great!)
Staff at front desk were not very receptive to me as a customer. I was felt like I wasn't appreciated as a guest and they even gave me a faulty room key that the front desk mentioned wasn't working for her before she gave it to me.
The next day the pool was closed - not signs, notice or information was given to guests.
When I called the front desk the employee was curt and uninformative to the situation and then had claimed "everyone is pretty much well informed". Except me... Apparently.
Poor service from hotel staff.
If you're not a VIP or when they answer the phone without their name, YOU will get lower grade service.

The slots were pretty tight both nights we went but we had a blast finding favorite slot machines we hadn't seen lately, ones we used to love way back, and new, exciting games. We never even got to see everything. The lights bring excitement and a burst of energy. The entire place was really nice and interesting. We didn't make it to restaurants on time but did enjoy pizza and sesame chicken on the promenade. Service was always quick and Friendly. They even have "slot dog" carts walking around the floor selling. I did feel the drinks were a bit steep but appreciated the free coffee or soda areas scattered around. We had only planned on going one night but there was so much yet to see that we went back the next night.

Best Casino in the area!!
Anytime we go to Mystic Lake, we have a great time. New Years is an absolute blast. Love seeing Good for Gary perform. Cosmic Bingo on Friday & Saturday nights is a lot of fun.
As someone who's sensitive to the smell of smoke, I greatly appreciate that it's smoking free. It makes going a lot more enjoyable and keeps me coming back. Everywhere is extremely clean.
Soda machines are difficult to locate, so I would appreciate more obvious signage or even arrows that point to where to go. It's really easy to get turned around when walking around Mystic on the casino floor.
Overall, I would highly recommend going here!!

Great room got a large suite and wasn't let down with living room, dining area, and small bar with extra seating. Their steak house was 🔥... suggest the aged steaks but my friend had the duck dish that was also excellent 👍. An abundance of Blackjack tables and slots to choose from. This place had the most blackjack tables open aside from grand casino Hinkley 🎰. Down side was I was told we could be in our room no later than 4pm when I made the reservations and when we got there we didn't get into our room until around 7pm so no showers for our 7pm dinner reservations. We had to pay for our roll outs even tho we paid for one of the most expensive rooms... 😒 🙄 other casinos we have been to comp the roll outs for renting their suites also the most expensive roll outs of any casino I've been to. Other than minor inconveniences the stay was great and the casino play was excellent.

This place is a con! They all of a sudden put their progressives up once the gaming commission comes in and warns them. But still don't have to pay out. I love how they gloat about being the #1 casino in profit haha of course they are. They take everything from people. They rob you cause they know they can. Open casinos for anyone to open. Give them competition. They should not have exclusive rights!!

Went to both Mystic Lake casino and Little Six. Spent most of the time at Little Six. The casino staff in the past have recommended Little Six Casino that is supposed to be better for winning. That is a total joke! Both Mystic Lake and Little Six are very bad. I am surprised they are still allowed to be in business. The service was terrible also. No longer saw workers coming around asking if people wanted soda to drink. Had to go find it ourselves. The place is very dark for the lighting as well. Do not recommend and do not plan on going there again in the future and will not recommend to family and friends. At the restaurant at Little Six, they give a glass full of ice with very little fountain soda in it. Terrible.

We've been to Mystic Lake many times, and I'm happy to say their pillows have gotten better. It used to be abysmally soft, but now it seems they've gotten better pillows.
The rooms are nice, clean and spacious. It's also updated for all the snooty people put there lol there's a coffee machine and a fridge but we didn't use either.
I like that only guests with key cards can come to the hotel part of the place. It's somewhat safer, although one can still game that system. I also like that there are people who are stationed to watch over the hotel elevators.
When or are they ever bringing back the buffet? I loved that buffet! For this trip, we were here very late-- past midnight and so for food, we went to The Promenade where you can get pizza or fries or burger or noodles for a late-night grub. The beverages are expensive so I say just find the free beverage dispenser and get drinks from there.
Cosmic Bingo is back, for all of us not really into gambling. But otherwise, the casino floor looks pretty cool, very much like a small Vegas casino with all the bright lights and cool bars everywhere.

The rooms are OK. They have been remodeled, but for the price, they should be giving you money to gamble with. Service is lackluster at best. To be honest, service at the hotel is more of a challenge than an amenity. For those who are new here, don't be a minute late checking out or you will be charged a $30 fee! For the money spent here, patrons should be catered to, not rushed out, ignored, and argued with. Literally every other Casino/Hotel I have visited and stayed at runs circles around this one in every conceivable way.

Overall cleanliness of the hotel was disappointing.
At check in we found toe nail clippings on the night stand and floor. We asked housekeeping to clean this for us. They came to vacuum and did not clean off the night stand. We were not in the room when they completed the cleaning. The bedding was dirty and stained.
We booked a golf course view and did not get a room with the view. We were told after check in that rooms were not guaranteed. The booking site should specify this.
Overall, disappointed with our stay. Would advise others to look elsewhere or have low expectations.

First time going to this casino/ hotel. The hotel room was super nice, the atmosphere is fun, there is plenty to do here. I had an amazing time! My only complain is that, the bartenders at the bar closes to the hotel check in was very rude. She was not friendly at all when I asked if they had a drink menu and was rude about taking my order. Other than that, I can't wait to go back!

I know a lot of people here loved to smoke while playing their luck, and I respect that this was your place to do that, I but guess due to covid there are designated smoking areas now which might mean people have to go outside or walk over to a smoking area. So now if you don't smoke and want to go to the casino you don't go home smelling like cigarettes which is nice. The self serve coffee and fountain drinks area is still accessible. Not sure if any of the restaurant areas are open but I did see a staff member with a hot dog cart for 2$ a hot dog.

I've been going to bingo there for 3 weeks since I get laid off for winter. The same guy wins at least 9 times every day. It takes all the fun out of it. He spends $1200 on his bingo machine because its unlimited. It's very disappointing to all of us normal players. He sits in the corner has red hair and glasses, if you see him there don't bother playing because you won't win. Today only 7 people besides him won, he took in $1700. I recommend trying a different bingo hall. I've talked to the management 3 times they said there's no help for us. I think he works for Mystic, and they get some of the money back. If you don't believe me just show up on a weekday afternoon session. He doesn't play on weekends so your luck might be better. Very disappointing 😞

Enjoyed a 3 night stay for a birthday celebration. We got upgraded to a king suite and it was an amazing room. Staff is outstanding. Minus the cleaning staff she seemed bothered that we asked for clean towels.(room is not cleaned daily.) Main casino can be overwhelming with so many machines and people. Some people we found rude. Little Six casino right next door is much smaller. We ate dinner there and the food and waitstaff was fantastic. We were told to eat there vs the very expensive steak house in main casino. We were not disappointed. Also valet is free just tip. We will definitely stay again.

Awful welcome from Valet. The items from the bell stand cart rolled off when the bell women unloaded it and I asked if she had touched the food that had fallen out of box. I was told I was rude by one big bald valet staff person that was standing there and when I tried to explain I didn’t mean to be rude but I couldn’t see from where I was standing, I touched the valet guy’s sweatshirt elbow briefly w the tip of my finger to build rapport instead he yelled at me three times over that “you do not touch people in public! Do you understand?” I apologized.
The dinner at The Steakhouse was okay. Meal was good server didn’t offer specials.
The suite was okay, mostly clean although the drawers and cabinets were nailed shut. The nightstands had small drawers so I cleaned them out before I could use them.
The gambling was awful. Such tight payoffs no real bonus spins.
For my birthday next year I will definitely not be spending time here, possibly not ever again because there is nothing to draw us back.

Hotels usually make you put a $50 deposit down on your room with a credit card and it takes an extremely long time to get it back! Hotel always says that it's my bank that's holding it up but the only other person I've stayed at this hotel with doesn't share the same bank as I do and he also has complained about how long the time-frame is for getting your $50 back on your card or back into your checking account.

We were here for a company party and it was a wonderful experience! The event center is beautiful and has lots of room. If you're staying at the hotel, it's a faily long jaunt to the event center, so wear comfy shoes, otherwise it was a fantastic experience! The staff and bartenders at the event we went to were out of this world great! I'm not sure they were fully prepared for the group we were with, but the bar tenders did such an awesome job rolling with the punches and were super friendly too!
In the hotel room there were nice littler perks which I liked. They have extra towels already in the room too!
As far as the casino, I wish they still had some of the older games. Maybe an idea to have a retro room or something with only older games like Munsters and Mr. Lucky's fortune, etc. We did find a few interesting games, and we actually got to play for a while which was nice. Other casinos take your money right away which doesn't make it fun.
Would I go here again? Absolutely! The hotel was great, the valet was wonderful, the staff were nice and accommodating, the event center was perfect and you for sure feel welcome coming here.

It’s our first time here and my daughter and I had so much fun playing slots. I guess we were just lucky that day to keep finding slot machines that gave bonuses. We didn’t win a lot but it was the fun that mattered. I like the beverage area (soda and coffee) where you don’t have to wait for the server. You can just get it yourself. There was also a “slot dog. ” It’s a cart with hotdog sandwiches that goes around the casino. I don’t know if they were free. Food at the restaurant and food court was good. It has a lounge in the middle of the casino with comfortable chairs. The bathrooms are very clean! Excellent customer service! I can’t comment on the hotel since we didn’t stay there overnight.

The music was awesome, and the atmosphere was electric. We all had a blast celebrating the birthday of our great union, and there were even fireworks after the concert. Both bands played all their hits and did it in style and even did a song as one band! My sons got to meet some of the guys from the Gin Blossoms and took some pics and autographs! After the events of the night, we went into the casino and tried our hands at the slots, then went home. All around, the night was a huge win and success. -This winery uses locally grown grapes for the majority of it's wine.
-The wines are of excellent quality.

-The staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

Also, the Cannon River trail is right next. Very convenient if you prefer a walk after your wine taste.

Loved the atmosphere, loved the wine and we decided on ordering flights, only issue was we waited well over 30 to 40 minutes for our charcuterie board, and others arriving after us, got served before us. I was hungry and had to hold off on my wine till I got food in my stomach.
Our waitress was nice and felt bad we waited so long, but the only thing is she didn't come to our table to even explain why the long wait. When bringing out the board, she apologized and said that we received extra for no cost, more on the board.
We ended up buying our favorites for at home.

Drove up a day early for U of M graduation from South Dakota so that we could take my daughter ziplining. Had it booked out a couple of weeks. Got an email at around 8 p.m. the night before telling me they have staffing issues and need to cancel. I would think staffing issues would be well known way before the night before. So we are out about $130 extra dollars because we didn't need to stay the extra night. Had they given us enough notice, we could have made other plans or just waited a day before making the 4 hour drive. I am not happy needless to say. So unless they plan on also refunding us the hotel room as well as the money for ziplining, we won't be back.

The staff was incredible and it was an incredible end to a great anniversary weekend! Highly recommend to anyone looking for some fun, even if you are scared of heights like my wife. The staff was patient, encouraging and made it all worth while. Thank you!!

Awesome place with great staff and great views!! My family loved the high-ropes course and the zip-lines were a lot of fun; even for a guy who isn't the biggest fan of heights. Duane and his team are awesome and we will definitely be back and highly recommend you check it out!

Great trail with mix of sun and shade. Trail changes from dirt to sand them pea rock with long stretches of grass. It's not TOO hilly but is a very good hike. Flies found us near the end...bring bug spray.

Miles of trails! This is a great place to come to enjoy nature. I used Gaia Maps to help me navigate around the trails because it is a bit of a maze. There are trail signs which is very helpful but Gaia was still helpful. My last hike in mid-August was in the evening/dusk (after sunset) on the trails by the river (upper arboretum). I saw so many deer and saw a beaver on the river. After nightfall, the fireflies came out! That was really fun to see. Not too many birds as it was not the right time of day but I did see a flock of geese on the river.
In winter, I come here for the cross-country skiing.

Beautiful place, nice walking paths, seating, and even a BBQ grill. We saw several deer as well. My new favorite place. Will definitely go back!

Not what I would normally call an aboretum, but it's a very nice park!
Parking was very annoying to find as google routes you to a weird back building where you cannot park and you have to kinda find a way to the parking lot. Trying to get the location updated

One of the highlights of Northfield, and great to visit in any season. The summer of course offers miles of hiking trails through prairies, forests, and rivers with lush green vegetation. The fall has amazing displays of foliage, especially in upper arb. During the winter, many of the trails are groomed into cross country skiing trails, and the rest are open for snowshoeing. And in the spring, it's always nice to see life re-emerge from the cold. There are plenty of places to park, enter, sit, or have a picnic throughout, so there's no need to plan your day meticulously to have a good time
Legendary bank known for its 1876 Jesse James shootout features local history exhibits & artifacts.
I was visiting my best friend, her daughter and her two granddaughters for the holidays and we planned a trip to Northfield to see the bank the James-Younger gang tried to rob back in 1876. Cathy, the Director of the society, was a delight - very genuine and had some “I Spy” games for the girls to play while we toured the museum and the actual bank. The museum is small but full of all kinds of information and there’s even a small gift shop where you can indulge your inner outlaw - shirts, books, cards, etc. I highly recommend this museum for any Jesse James aficionados. And it’s in the lovely city of Northfield.

This is something if you love history. The last bank the Jesse James gang robbed.
The actual vault and floors are intact. The actual bank ledger is there with blood on it, too. They also do a reenact the robbery on the first weekend after Labor Day.
Mysterious Traveler — Google review
Great detalis provided by the written accounts and artifacts really made the chronological walk through an enjoyable experience. Had no idea the townsfolk battled the James - Younger Gang and firced them to leave with almost nothing. Worker there was extremely knowledgeable about the event and the town's history. Must see this place if you're in town!
Steve Peterson — Google review
Another great small town in Minnesota packed with history and cozy charm (sorry, I just wrote that like a travel agent or travel mag-corny but true). I was hoping they had daily reenactments of Jesse James Gang of 8 trying to rob the First Natl Bank in Sept 1870s as I wasn't clear from website but it turns out it is only performed on the Sept anniv. I toured the historical society downtown for $5 which houses the history of James Gang, the actual original bank inside, and also the Campbell's cereal company who made brands such as Malt 'O Meal and still does. There were also breweries nearby which we try in every town & city we visit so a good afternoon!

Great place to stop in...$4 per person/senior admission. Short film about the Younger/James Gang.... really well done ! Loved the layout and the bank set was fantastic to see the layout....If you enjoy the legend of the James

While I would like to give it a higher rating I just wasn't very enthused by the museum. While I understand that is often upkeep on even small museums can be a lot, I was still somewhat displeased with the content vs the price. If I recall correctly entry was $10 to $20, depending on age. Additionally, it all centers around the story of one bank robbery. Which is cool, sure, but I would also have liked to learn about the history of the town itself. Questions like the town's establishment, the stories of the Scandinavian immigrants, how a small town ended up with two colleges, etc. were sparsely addressed, if at all. Overall, cool story of the bank robbery which was well told but minimal content beyond that.
Park featuring hiking trails, a campground, picnic areas, a playground & a zoo with native animals.
Oxbow is such a unique spot to get out and and enjoy the outdoors. It is hard to beat the experience and scenery at no cost. My wife and I went for our first time in the winter and tried out the cross country ski trail. Ski rentals included everything we needed and you cannot beat the $5 price. The trail was beautiful and visiting the zoo after was just the cherry on top. Can not say enough good things and can't wait to go back when the new nature center opens in the coming year.

This is a nice, quiet place to spend an afternoon or to take the children. The cages/pens are a bit small. The animals do not seem that happy in my opinion. On that note, they have it posted that plans are underway to remedy that. There will be more room for the animals. I'm sure that will make them happy. It was feeding time when I arrived. That did not interfere with the viewing. Instead it enhanced my visit. Masks were required if you wanted to enter the building with the bathrooms and snakes etc. It was very clean and well maintained. The Elk were very active. I am looking forward to revisiting once the improvements are completed. If a person is wheelchair bound, they may have some difficulty getting around as there isn't a continuous path that leads to all of the exhibits. One must walk through the grass for some of the bigger animals (Elk, Bison etc.).

We stopped in March on a weekend that was 63’. We wanted to walk around a bit, not didn’t want to drive forever.
I haven’t been out here since they built the new building and removed the boardwalk. It’s a beautiful building with lots to see and do. I can’t imagine a child who wouldn’t enjoy it, I did as an adult.
It’s clean, bright, and accessible to all. There is a donation box at the entrance, please consider a donation. Even a few dollars per person to help keep a park like this free for everyone. We have only $10, just because we appreciated it that much.

Oxbow Park and Zollman Zoo was absolutely amazing. It’s a gem out in the middle of almost nowhere.
They have naturalist programs, campgrounds, picnic shelters, 8 miles of hiking trails, fishing, water access, snowshoeing, and groomed ski trails. It is fantastic to find.
this is a great place to bring the family. Let the kids run with the supervision, of course. The zoo is even fun with a boardwalk around all of the exhibits and beautiful flowers and gardens.

I love the zoo and I always have. I've been coming here since I was a kid and I still come back at least once a year to see the animals, my favorites being the otters, the bear, and the goats. It's barely changed at all in 15+ years. I'll have to come back soon because this place truly holds a special place in my heart!!!! It's also free and wheelchair accessible!

This organization is AMAZING. The animals are well cared for and they work hard to provide for them all the best possible environment they can. Reading each animal's story was super interesting and hits you in the feels. The bison were super cool to see as well since we got to get up close and peer through the fence area at these magnificent creatures. Their new facility/building is really nice too and definitely built with education in mind. Definitely bring the kiddos and if you're feeling adventurous camp there too!

This is a great place to take kids of all ages. We enjoyed the hiking up into bluffs along the Meadows Trail and of course the animals. We had a bunch of kids who had never been there before so it was exciting. The interactive park was also very fun and the variety of Minnesota animals was impressive. The park and zoo are free but donations are welcome. A great resource in the area for families.

Nice little zoo of raptors that were injured in the wild. Some common farm animals. There are native flower gardens. There is an interesting playground for children with an architectural sand digging pit for artifacts.

Really amazing to think a place like this can be free entrance and runs on donations. The animals and areas are clean and well kept. The animal area open at 10am not 5am like indicated in their Google page so keep that in mind. The areas opened at 5am are the kids play area and hiking. There’s camping grounds near worth checking it out. Truly enjoyed about 2.5hrs here. And plan on coming back again.

This is a cool little place! The new building is nice. The park has a solar system theme to it mixed in with other things. My kids love the sand pit and the water feature. The zoo is cool because the animals are from Minnesota. We even got to see some Minnesotans in their natural habitat the last time we visited (some workers painting a habitat).

My step Mom & I brought my 2 yr old nephew & 7yr old niece here to check out the animals & play. They had a wonderful time feeding the animals, walking around, there was plenty of shade outside, and educational m, fun things things inside as well. The play area was tons of fun for younger kiddos, & there was activities for children a bit older as well. Both kids enjoyed looking at the inside animal’s as well.

FREE. ZOO AND PARK: we came on a 40° grey wintery day, and it was not crowded, but also not deserted. Some paths are a bit muddy, but you can walk around on paved and wood chip paths, and stay dry, if you want to.
See photos for accessibility accommodations, and that their bison are purely bison, not mixed with cattle! Amazing!
Just adding a couple of photos of the new Oxbow Nature Center. This place is amazing! I've been to Oxbow Park and Zollman Zoo before, many times: in the great outdoor park with play areas for kids; for picnics, whether as a family or with large groups for fellowship at the bridge picnic areas; and I've looked at the animals outside before, when it was warm. But this new nature center is incredible! Warm and dry of course, but also informative and modern with wonderful amenities. With this indoor space available in rainy and cold weather, we will be coming a lot more often.
The natural play area for school the groups and other young visitors is interesting and there are many things to climb in, and a pond with turtles and frogs in warm weather. They have built a scaled model of the solar system, with spheres of different sizes and distances from the "sun", and informative plaques about their similarities and differences.
I've been here with children from the age of 2 all the way up to 12 years, and they all think that it's pretty awesome. The otters are amusing and fascinating to watch for half an hour at a time. They have wolf siblings and coyotes. The turkey loves to show off his beautiful feathers. The Lynx and the bobcat are amazing, as well as the beautiful cougar. The Hawks, Eagles and Owls that they have here at Zollman Zoo would never have survived in the wild (whether because of a broken wing, or an injured eye, or whatever) and have a pretty good life here. It's amazing that all the animals here are native to Minnesota (though some are endangered, threatened, or rare).

This was our 1st time going here. We were very impressed! The price is great, especially for all the things available to do. There are 2 playgrounds, a zoo, walking trails, a river for fishing(& playing in.*life jackets & close supervision! It is a river! ). Everything was well maintained & pretty clean. My parents were staying the weekend, so we just visited for the day. We are definitely going to consider staying sometime.

Loved this nature experience. It was winter and there were not a lot of people and some animals were inside. Nevertheless, we got to see 90% of the animals. Because it wasn't crowded, the children had a lot more freedom in the play areas.
The information on the animals and the exhibits was very helpful. I would have enjoyed the hiking trails, but it was cold, and the children were small , so we decided to save that for another day.

Opened in 2009, this family-friendly zoo features reptiles & amphibians from around the world.
I brought my 8 month old daughter there for the first time and she had a blast. The people working there are super nice, they went in back and grabbed a baby alligator for her to look at up close, then they asked If we wanted to watch them feed the tortoises. The little things like that, that they don't necessarily have to do, really makes an impression nowadays. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody that has kids, or just likes reptiles.
Kravin Morehead — Google review
Fantastic place for hands on experience! Very knowledgeable staff. Happy to answer any questions. They had a few feedings while we were there. Snakes, Crocks, turtles, alligators, and birds. Cool place easily spend 2 hrs here. The staff has a q&a session. With an option to hold the specimen on display for a fee. Or pet for free. It seems the animals are well socialized and as friendly a wild animal can be. Not to busy can wonder around with feeling to rushed or crowded.
John Richard — Google review
Our kids had a great time! I loved that we could go through at our own pace. The kids spent as much time as they wanted at each exhibit. They were also able to watch multiple snakes get fed. The workers were very knowledgeable and explained about the snakes as they were feeding. For extra money they were also able to have photos taken holding a small alligator or a snake. We chose the alligator and they are still talking about how cool it was! They also had a few step stools scattered around that were perfect for the toddlers to carry around and use to stand on to see the exhibits at a better height. Overall it was a great experience!

Unequivocally the absolute best reptile and amphibian zoo anywhere ! ! !
My wife and I love going to zoos and we have been at many over several states. We have seen other amphibian and reptile displays but this is far and above better anything we have seen thus far.
There more in number and variety here than anyone else. They have several species I have never seen before -- along with a few beautiful birds.
The owner also brought out an alligator and a python for us to pet. I can't say I've ever petted an alligator before!
So if you want to see reptiles and amphibians you absolutely, positively, must see this!

My grandson has been there before, my first time. It was amazing, all the animals, the employees-extremely knowledgeable and friendly. So many reptiles and amphibians to see and learn about. Sitting with my grandson and daughter, holding Harley- a 6 yr. old Cayman was pretty cool, to say the least. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST VISIT, for quality family time and fun education for the kids. Definitely going again! Google RAD ZOO..

We have not been to the facility itself yet. But we booked them for a birthday party and it was absolutely amazing. The kids loved it! Our guide was soooo very friendly, kind, calm and patient with the children. He took time to answer questions we had and we learned quite a bit of things too. All the kids got to touch at least some of the animals. But my son was able to hold more of them. Being the birthday boy. He was over joyed! Big reptile friend!!! I'm so very happy and glad we found them. I was worried they weren't coming because I hadn't heard anything, but turns out traffic was really bad(construction season) but everything worked out wonderfully! All my friends are looking into it for their future things too. We will make a trip to the zoo itself sometime too!!! Very happy. Recommended highly.
Oh and everyone got to hold the big snake at the end. The kids faces just lit up with that!!

We live about 45 minutes away and we love going to this zoo we don't mind the drive the people and staff are so nice there and you can get so close to the animals it's a very unique experience. I think we will end up doing one of her birthday parties down there also at some point we had seen a party going on and it looked very fun. All of our kids look forward to different features and animals at the zoo.

The RAD zoo exceeded our expectations. The animals appeared well cared for even with minimal staffing. My husband and I toured the zoo for over 2 hours with the only rush being our children which finished the zoo in about an hour. We will definitely be back to visit the next time we are in the area.

We made the drive from the cities and arrived 30 minutes before closing. There was a lot to see, and my 2 young kids loved petting the baby alligator. My husband says 30 minutes was perfect (it helped that we were the only ones there), I think 45 minutes would've been better.
I came with my mother for the holiday cookie & wine paring. I wasn’t sure it would be much fun- wow!! We loved it. The service was good, all the cookies delicious and homemade. The wines were crazy good. It’s hard to pick just one to bring home.
We also had lunch while we were there. The turkey sandwich with Swiss on a croissant with rosemary & heirloom tomatoes. Such delicious food. We had the side salad with it. It was an explosion of flavor. The spinach & Artichoke dip was wonderful too. Not a single thing we didn’t absolutely love. Such high quality food.
I can’t wait for the warmer summer weather to sit outside with nature and sip the delicious wines. It’s a bit of heaven on earth.

Although we didn't get to go into the building as it was closed the day we visited, we did get to walk in the park.
There were lots of nice trails to walk on, some of which were paved. For those that weren't paved, they were smooth enough for us to push a stroller on (with pneumatic tires) with only a few spots that were muddy or bumpy.
Overall, I'd love to go back when the trees have leaves and when it's a bit warmer. The day we went was very windy and there wasn't much for protection to slow it down.
The observation tower is a little anti-climactic. I guess I was thinking it would be quite a bit taller than it was.

Our church meets at this venue Sunday mornings. It's a very professional place. We'll lit with windows or electric screens can be lowered. Plug in play projector for presentations. Live music sounds great, but it's easy to get too loud with a full band. All on one level for handicap access. Easy loading but bring a cart for your stuff. parking for 100s surrounded by miles of walking trails. The kids go outside and run if needed. Kitchenette for serving food. Leave it spotless.
Packaging, photos & an old grocery store reconstruction tell the story of the famed processed meat.
What can you possibly say about a museum devoted to a canned meat product? It was a lot of fun and very educational. You learn about the various products that are made. Including those made for foreign markets. There are several interactive displays to test your knowledge and your skills about spam. Masks are required if you have not been vaccinated. There are some special sections for kids and plenty of displays for adults so it is a great place to visit for the whole family. The gift shop offers a variety of merchandise and also has spamples at various times. It gives you a chance to sample some of the different varieties of spam. At the time of my visit the museum did not open until 10:00 a.m.

Super neat tourist attraction. It was cool to see the different types of spam and how it’s eaten throughout the world. The facility is not exactly dog friendly unless you can carry the dog through the museum. Unfortunately you can’t buy any of the spam that is not readily available in the US stores. I feel like they’re really missing out on a good opportunity for sales if they offered new varieties! The kids really enjoyed the play area.

The history and the interactive games for the kids were so cool. I would liked to have tried some of the rare SPAM that we got to see but they only have basic flavors in the gift shop. Although its size is small, this museum is really worth a visit. I especially enjoyed the touring which covers the history of the company Hormel as well as of its owners Geo and Jay Hormel. It is quite inspiring to learn how the owners kept improving their products, and how SPAM became a supply to the US's allies during the war, and still a popular food for many different countries after the war. (The touring girl has done a great job!)
There is also a play area for kids, and our kiddle liked it a lot. Will definitely come back when there is a chance!

This museum is so quirky and fun! I was impressed that some of their displays have changed since we visited 5 years ago. Definitely worth a visit if you are in town or a detour if you are heading up to the twin cities.
The museum is a lot of fun for adults and kids. They have a little farm house and play area with a slide. The kids loved the area where you can 'make' your own SPAM and had fun seeing who could so it the fastest. My oldest was able to do the full case in under 2 minutes. It was a really cute addition to the museum.
I love their gift shop! They do a military discount and even have shirts on sale to support the people after the Maui wildfire.

For starters, it's free! The kids played forever in the play area! They have an interactive museum portion, you could can 'spam', and play in the play area.
It has a variety actives the kids enjoyed too: a reading and nursing nook, a kitchen/picnic area, and the climbing section that looks like a barn.
It's a good place to take the kids to play. Definitely recommend!
Sprawling oak savanna & prairie area with a glacial esker offers wetland birding, camping & hiking.
Myre-Big Island State park is awesome!all the deer that come up to the camp sites is amazing! I love seeing all the nature! I would recommend this place to anyone that loves nature! The host at Myre-Big Island White Fox campground let's people burn canvas from chairs, let's people cut branches from trees so their rv will fit, make fun of people and the older camper and vehicle they have, will only talk to people who have newer campers and vehicles! I think Myre-Big Island State Park can find someone friendlier to be the host for the park!

I had a wonderful time at this park! I stayed in backpack site 3. There is a mix of lakeshore, forest and prairie here. When I visited there were no garbage receptacles at the picnic area and the restrooms were closed (I think likely because it's after labor day) but the vault toilets were fine, and I did find dumpsters at the main campground. If you're doing the hiking club trail, it's a longer one compared to most of the other parks so be prepared for that. I did a few sections of it and never did find the password (it must be in one of the parts I didn't get to). The trails are mostly flat and wide. There are portions that overlap with a bike trail. The signs are adequate to get around without having to have a map in hand or on your phone.
The backpacking sites are a ways from the campground but not too far. 1 and 2 are closer, but spaced out from each other, and 3, 4 and 5 are on the outer edge of the park right off the lake (I believe you can also paddle in, at least there was a portage sign in site 3). Make sure to get water before proceeding to the backpacking sites. The only downside to my site was that I could hear highway noise. I think 1+2 are farther away from the road.
The bird watching in the fall is incredible. I saw or heard over 30 species of birds, including 2 kinds of owls at night. If you visit the backpack sites you'll be treated to hundreds of pelicans, ducks, geese, herons, and other waterfowl.

Awesome remote place to see wildlife and hike. Great well kept trails. We went early morning on a weekend and didn't see anyone there other than overnight campers. Dog friendly park with hours of good trails and being in nature. Also AMAZING bathrooms.

Nice park. Easy and plentiful trails. Vault toilets are very clean and smell good like coconut. Campsites are nicely worded and not too close to each other.

We went to Myre-Big Island State Park for the first time in 20 years and I forgot how amazing it was. The park is much larger than I remember with several walking, hiking, and biking trails. In the winter there is groomed snomobiling trails which is beautiful. There is tenting and camper spots in a few different areas of the park. There was some newer bathrooms built with outdoor sinks for washing. We saw a ton of wild life as we walked the trails. We loved it and would go again.

This is a nice well-kept campground. That is a mix of primitive and electric only sites.. sites are spacious with most having trees between each of the campsites for privacy. And her in number of water stations in each camping loop where you can fill up your RV as well as an RV dump station that has a separate spigot for water fill also. There are a couple of primitive vault toilets as well as a restroom and shower facility in between both loops. The reservation was $24 a night but when you get to the office to check in you also have to purchase a $7 per day vehicle permit so that you can drive your personal vehicle and the park. So with I told vehicle and the additional vehicle it was an extra $14 per night. Oh no it's a really nice campground I'll be a little pricey for primitive camping. We're averaging 10 to 12 Mbps on T-Mobile and probably about the same for Verizon. #rvdump

Big Island Campground.
Campsite was not large or private, but it was a good size. There is an area set up for tent setup on the site. The bath/shower building was clean and well maintained.

Great campground. Spots are not too close together. Great backpacking sites for more privacy. Lake is good for paddling, but not fishing. Lake is too shallow and but enough oxygen on water for good fish population.

Lots of mature trees, small hiking trails around the campground. Everything very clean. Campsites were close together, so pick your site well. Hopefully you will have respectful neighbors like we did!

The BEES! We had to leave the park because the yellow jackets were so pervasive. That being said, the nature is beautiful there and the trails are great. Lots of amazing opportunities for wildlife viewing and the park staff was very gracious.

Spent one night at Myre-Big Island State Park. The staff was very helpful and even on a Friday night we had no trouble finding a camp site. Like most other state parks, they don't want you to bring any outside firewood in, but you can purchase a bundle for $6.00. would definitely stay here again if I am ever around that area.
Christopher Cameron — Google review
We got to the campground late at night and it was really cool! The water was all shut off and the dump station was inaccessible. The lake was completely frozen so that was fun as well. The sites were spacious and easy to access. The restrooms were locked since the water was shut off, but there was a vault toilet that was accessible.

We really enjoyed our stay in the one camper cabin at this site, there were flush toilets very close by with running water sinks and showers too. The camp sites were closer to each other than other parks in MN so that was the only draw back for us since we like to feel more secluded. The were beautiful trails to walk and the land is all around since it is an island. Beautiful wildflowers and wildlife to watch.
Hotel-adjacent gaming plus upscale dining, fast food, live music & comedy shows.
We come down from Minneapolis Minnesota. Their machines are incredibly loose compared to the casinos in the metro area. Which also could include treasure island. Even though T.I. is not in the metropolitan area. And LIVE CRAPS AND ROULETTE. Can't beat that.

You can smoke in the casino 👍🏾 the kitchen somehow can’t seem to get it together. I’ve gotten at least a handful of meals there. My latest visit I got prime rib rare… it was medium. My soup was half n a quarter cupful like every time I’ve gotten it but this time I turned back n asked questions n the lady told me that she will let her boss know n didn’t offer to fill it or anything… I give up on ever ordering there again. Time before We got steaks medium rare n what we received was one side burned n other side rare so we brought it back n they gave us different steaks same result. My salads were never good… cucumber were always bad. Staffs are always nice n friendly but always forget my plastic ware n things I’ve asked for. I will still go there but I’ll probably get subway or bring my own food when I go. The slots are really tight otherwise I do like the place.

The casino maintains an exceptionally clean and welcoming environment, which is complemented by the staff's outstanding helpfulness and friendliness, making every visit truly enjoyable. Their sports betting section is particularly impressive for its user-friendliness and accessibility. The betting kiosks are straightforward to use, ensuring a seamless betting experience for both novices and experienced bettors alike. Moreover, the presence of knowledgeable staff ready to assist with any inquiries enhances the overall experience. Whether choosing to place bets at the kiosks or at the counter, the efficiency and friendliness of the personnel in the sports betting area are commendable. This level of customer service and the casino's overall ambiance make it a great, convenient destination for both gaming and sports betting enthusiasts.

My mother had never been to Iowa or a casino...so we drove down from the twin cities. We played some roulette...slots and sports book. Pretty much lost at everything but slots but we had a blast! Everyone was very helpful since we were novices and we will be back for a sports book night. We also ate lunch here not bad food and drink options. There is also a hotel right there if you wanted to go down for a weekend or event. Check it out for sure...its only an 1 hour and half drive from the cities.

It's pretty outside didn't pay out no free sign up bonus for new players was a buzz kill too. If I'm from out of town what's my cash back from my spend doing for me if it was my first and only time out there and the chances of it ever happening again are slim due to distance. Anyway it sure is a pretty site. At night their sign glitters. Weird lookin barn vibes outside too but it was cool. Wish I got better and more photos. Don't think I'll get to use my cash back at all anywhere because unless they have that available to me online, that may be the only Boyd casino anywhere near me. And they did say I can use my card at all of he Boyd casinos all over the u.s.

Smoke everywhere! Spent 2 hours there and lost the entire time. I got 1 bonus. Machines are very tight. I stopped here a few years ago and thought I would give it another try since it is pretty close to our lake house. I would avoid it in the future. Outside looks nice, but smoke and tight machines makes it a hard pass for me.

This is a fun place to go, even if gambling is not your thing. For me gambling is not my thing, but I have gone on several occasions with either family or friends that wanted to go. Its a clean place and doesn't smell like stale cigarettes or smoke. The restroom was clean and not smelly and they offer free sodas and coffee if you dont care for an adult beverage.

I usually have a good experience here, but not so much this time. I stayed one night on Saturday, March 22nd and had an unauthorized charge of $50 on my credit card. I have been attempting to contact the manager for almost two weeks and have not heard back. I’ve left three voicemails and now, when I call, the front desk just rings continuously and eventually drops my call. I guess I’ll have to file a chargeback on my card because there was no damage to the room or anything of the sort.

By far, it was the worst casino experience I have ever had. I am a truck driver, so I get to go to a lot of different casinos across the country. The payouts at this one are extremely low. Everyone I've seen playing was irritated. I saw no jackpots and no excitement
Will not be going back, and I would not recommend gambling here

My family and I all planned a weekend get away at Diamond Joe's and needless to say- we will never go back. It was an all around bad experience! It started when they said we booked double the amount of rooms than we actually did and it was too late to cancel. The desk employee said they couldn't do anything. And in fact, they were quite RUDE about it. Then at dinner, while our waitress was nice, dinner was very slow from start to finish. The food took forever. And we must have waited 30 minutes just to pay. They claimed it was a "computer" issue. Later in the evening, there was last call for drinks- we purchased drinks at 1:15am, at 1:30am they wanted to take the drinks we had just paid for. We still had half full drinks and politely asked what time we had to drink them by- knowing in Iowa it is 2am. The "pit boss" - I think his name was RUDY (how fitting) very rudely said he was taking our drinks. We understand that there are rules, and we are happy to comply. However, we do expect to be treated with kindness and respect. It felt very much like this casino and it's employees don't care about their customers!!!

This place is incredible. The main shop has little vignettes about what is in each of their shops (there are eleven shops!!) you must stop by each of them as they have great stuff in each. The main store also has a lot of MSQC souvenirs. The people are super nice and we even got to meet Jenny Doan. We had a total quilt nerd out. Hit up the other stores in town they are super fun. Great job, friends! This place is a triumph. I can't wait to recommend it and hopefully come back someday!
Oh, one more thing....be sure to take time to go to the museum. It is super cool! There is a big featherweight display there right now. And the other thing the blew my ever-loving mind was the room full of the miniature quilts. Absolutely incredible!!

What's not to love? Every line of wonderful quilting fabric you could wish for is right there in the space of 3 city blocks! And notions galore! There's even a man cave with leather recliners, a big screen TV, and a pool table. The employees were very nice and helpful if I needed help. Add in a couple of little cafes right in the middle of town, and you've got the makings of a great day. This was my first visit to what should be the center of the quilting universe, but it will not be my last. I'm going again in May!

Of course I loved it, I've ordered supplies from this company for years and being able to see it in person was awesome.
We first went into what we thought was "the" store and we both remarked on how underwhelmed we felt, we agreed we thought it would be larger and somehow more grand; I felt the same way about the Coliseum in Rome too, just sayin'. But we quickly realized the shop... It's literally the whole town!
I knew that this business had revived the small town where it is situated, one of the reasons I was so keen to visit is the company's marvelous story, but I didn't quite understand what that meant until we went for a walk around the area.
Beautiful old buildings that sat abandoned have been and are even now being thoughtfully restored and repurposed to serve as arms of this business, one, for example, is devoted to sewing machines, another sells mostly Batik fabrics.
One thing I particularly liked is that there are ample curb cuts, ramps, and handicapped parking spaces, and there are nice wide aisles in most of the stores making these shops accessible to those in wheelchairs and those who use supportive gear. The bathroom I visited in the main store was also accessible.
There is a spot set aside for those who do not find this type of excursion enjoyable, complete with puffy recliners and a television to keep you occupied if you don't care for fiber arts. My complaint with this area is that its design is so hypermasculine that it creates an obvious division between what they believe is supposed to be for "men" and what is supposed to be for "women", and could end up making members of either group (or of no group at all) uncomfortable if their interests don't fall in line and with what Missouri Star's marketing folks have decided their role should be.
I get why they did this and I appreciate it, but I hope that as we move forward and continue to grow as a society they might consider toning down the focus on gender being the dividing line specifically; I do know men who quilt and I know women who hate it, and I know people who fall into yet different categories who just want to decide how they feel about a thing based on factos other than gender.
So, in summation- if you're into fiber arts and quilting, go! Visit! It's a truly lovely place with a lot of interesting history and a great story. It is relatively easy to access, and there is a spot for those who want to opt out of obsessing over different shades on green for two hours, like me.

Tried to order 108” backing. Ordered 2.5yrd. The first order sent was only 57”. Emailed and order was reshipped. The second attempt the fabric had a massive snag in it, right in the middle of the fabric that would have shown on my quilt back. Emailed and again reshipped the order. Just received the third attempt and wrong length again! Only 83”. I don’t get how we aren’t measuring correctly at all! And twice! I understand the snag could be hard to see, but was right on top when I unfolded.

Make sure that your wife has plenty of time to walk through all of the stores, there is more than one. We spent two hours and still didn't see everything. If this is not your thing, park yourself in a leather recliner in the man cave. I want one of those for my family room.

I was excited by the variety of fabrics available. Several buildings were filled with specific fabrics. Feeling like a kid in a candy store, I flew through the bolts and found myself wanting all of it. What a great experience to see first hand. Generally, online orders are how I get my supplies, but since I was in the state, a trip to the YouTube store was a must. The main store was my first stop. The patterns for the quilts Jenny made on her show were displayed nicely in each store. (It's the inspiration corners) Then on to the Batik store, which was the hardest to leave. 350.00 dollars later, smile on my face, I carried a bag full of fabric out to my car. You can tell, I enjoyed myself!

But I was disappointed that going to 16 shops and only two employees acknowledged us, there were no hello’s or welcomes. I ordered an embroidery kit and got a package of needles. When I talked to them, they did refund for the items I did not get (I was going to give them 1 star but feel like they did handle the refund of nonreceived goods quickly and easily so that was the one star) but also the item was out of stock by the time I received not my order and I will have to wait and watch and hope for the best in three weeks when it is restocked. The lady on the chat sent me back to the chat bot without notification. That was the rude icing on the cake. I think I'll look for kits from Etsy, probably, going forward. It seems these guys have enough business they don't need to be nice or helpful when they mess up.

They have a wonderful selection of goods. That being said, that’s where my compliments end. Their prices are good if you buy something on sale. But for the most part, they are over priced. They are SLOW to ship and then they ship the slowest possible way. It takes forever to get anything here.

Absolutely do not give them your email! They will spam you with multiple emails a day. They will not allow you to unsubscribe, no matter the course you take to do it. If you go through their site it makes you create an account to unsubscribe even if you made a purchase as a guest previously.
