I had not skied and about 13 years and I decided to take the trek North into Wyoming and OMG I barely encountered any traffic which is nothing like trying to travel down i-70.
Centennial is a cute little town but the skiing was top notch. I'm used to Midwest snow which is fake man-made snow over ice. And I never waited in a line, I never shared a chairlift with anybody. Everybody was very friendly I even helped a guy out that took a bad crash and helped ski patrol get to him within 10 minutes. I would definitely recommend this place because the all day pass is $50-60 compared to any front range ski area you'll be looking at at least double.
There runs are very nice the longest one is just over a mile. The chairlifts are fast most of the time.

Cheap weekday passes, never crowded, nice facilities, easy to access from NorCo and surrounding area. Vertical is nothing to sneeze at, but generally good snow on east slope in morning and north slope in afternoon. Good place to bring beginner/intermediate skiers who aren’t quite acclimated to the long and steep runs at big Colorado resorts. For $50 a day, this is the best skiing deal you will find in the region.

Great local skiing at a great price. Low traffic, easy/close parking, plenty of terrain for a beginner-learner, and for those experts there’s a couple runs that will keep you satisfied for the day. Do you get miles and miles of runs or pounding moguls and hundreds of people around you? Nope. And that’s what makes it great. Almost no wait lift lines, A couple mins on the lift, and plenty of space for you to ski down. Possible to get 6-8 runs an hour if you try hard. Great value. Oh and nice lodge, super convenient and well kept. Friendly staff!

Coming from Utah this place is pretty great. There weren't many crowds at all, even on a weekend. I skied three days in a row and didn't get bored of the runs. There were some icy patches though and the ski lift has no bars so it was a little scary. The views were pretty; I just wish there was another terrain park or something with more jumps.
Side note: six people (out of ten) in the group I went with got a severe stomach virus (norovirus maybe?) And we think it came from the lodge. The lodge gets pretty crowded with people, so be aware of your surroundings, what you touch, and what you eat.

This is the best "retro ski experience" ever. Friendly, nice, laid-back vibe. Great snow this season, fun runs and excellent value. Just love this place. Awesome chicken wings too!

Favorite place to ski in all of the Rockies. Leave the crowds in CO, and drive up to Snowy Range!! Excellent hometown feel and service. Great greens and blues! Lovely lodge that isn’t too big or overpriced. Won’t find this with your Epic Pass! This ski area is good for families, friends, newbies and the more advanced athlete as well. Ski and snowboard school is valuable and a great place to learn.

This a fun little ski area. Hardly ever wait in line for lifts and great prices. Friendly staff. If you have a day or two give it a try

Love the place, my way of escaping to winter and snow fun, from day to day grind. Check out affordable ski lessons, season pass, and little cafe upstairs. Convenient parking, locker rooms, affordable rentals, great staff and 33 incredible runs for your enjoyment. Come early, parking gets full fast.

We love Snowy Range!! This is a fantastic place for kids and beginner skiers and snowboarders. We live in Fort Collins and love the drive. We’ve rarely been stuck in traffic and really haven’t run into much bad weather. The staff has been great each time we’ve gone, and helped us have a great experience. The food in the cafe is ok, but you can bring your own stuff too. Everything is right there, which is SO nice! Try and get there before 8:30am and you’ll get a great parking spot. There are multiple lifts and runs from a super easy green to blacks! The magic carpet for kids is great and ours have sometimes spent all day there learning. We highly recommend Snowy Range!

Snowy Range is always a good time! It’s been several years since I’ve here! They’ve changed a few things but all good changes! We came down as a group this year and the prices CANNOT be beat. We did rented our gear and got ski lift tickets for two days and it was like $150 a person. There are a TON of portions near by for lodging. It’s just a fun and inexpensive place to go, great place for beginners as well!

I’ve been snowboarding for a long time, mostly in Colorado. No joke, I had one of the best days. The staff was amazing . My fave part of the day was ski patrol, I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting a ski patrol person who was as fun, professional and spirited till today. Wish I could remember his name but I will drop some pics. Thank you again for BEST DAY EVER! My son and I def will never forget <3

I had a great first time skiing experience here at the Snowy Range. My party took a group lesson, but there were 4 of us in the group and none of us ever skied before, so it seems the instructor might have been spread a little too thin. We will consider private lessons for next time. Also, the lunch options offered in the building were surprisingly enjoyable.

Great place to take your family. Went on a weekday and easy to get tickets and not crowed. Perfect for little children to learn how to ski.

The Grand Encampment Museum features a modern interpretive center with exhibits on the history of the Grand Encampment copper district, logging, and mining. It also highlights the significant role of women in Wyoming's history, particularly in the fight for women's rights and suffrage. The museum is open five days a week year-round, and visitors can explore its outbuildings during certain seasons. The museum administrator, Tim, is highly knowledgeable and recommended for providing insights into the area's history.
This is a really nice and big museum. Karen, the tour guide, it's just amazing the way she explains everything and how passionate she is about encampment. You can see on her eyes years and years of history and love to this place!
Irvin Sanchez — Google review
By far one of my favorite museums that I've ever visited for Western history and of course Wyoming history. Especially important is the story of women in this part of the world in the state of Wyoming being first in the US for women's rights and suffrage. The outbuildings are not open during the winter but the museum is open 5 days a week year round and the administrator there is Tim he is extremely knowledgeable in a super nice guy highly recommend this museum the story of the little boy that was hit by lightning is one of the most moving museum displays I've ever seen.

Fantastic Museum it even has guided tours, the lady at the front desk-Linda, is a History buff and is so knowledgeable that you could easily spend an hour there just talking to her,, she also says the first thing people ask her is where the two story outhouse is!!!

Not a lot in Encampment the town. But the museum was definitely worth seeing. For a 5 dollar donation you get to walk through the museum and get a guided tour around the out buildings. It was well worth my time. They have local high school kids do the tours. Hayden was a joyv to talk with. He was very knowledgeable and willing to answer our questions. I would do it again .

ALWAYS stop here when we are in the area. Youll see something different every time. I love this place. The staff are informative and polite and helpful. Recommend taking a break on your road trip, to this place

A very interesting place to visit. Look up or call for hours for a guided tour. I went when there was nobody working and we just walked around and peeked into the windows, that was worth my time, you can possibly learn a lot from here about history and how things used to work. If you want to know how this town came to be, come here.

This museum is great! We really got a feel for life in this area in the past. Plus the surroundings are beautiful and the optional guide who took us around, Linda, was great!! We learned a lot from her!!

Nice museum with several buildings and many relics. Tours are guided and a small donation is recommended.

After watching a short video in the main building, our tour guide, Karen, took us around the buildings and gave us a terrific history lesson about the town and surroundings. Well worth a stop.
Truly and so glad the city of Saratoga makes this available to the public -- free and 24 hours a day. Shower house is nice. Plenty of space to store or hang your stuff. Please remember to respect the waters and others by not bringing alcohol, smoking, or being generally disruptive.
E. M. — Google review
The hot springs are wonderful. There are 3 pools with different temperatures. The lobster pot is HOT! So nice and soothing. You can even go to the river to cool off. The showers are sufficient.
Marla Hawkins — Google review
If you're anywhere near Saratoga, Wyoming (especially during colder weather) you need to stop in and experience this free hot spring.
It's open 24/7 and is free... you can leave tips near the entrance if you want, but it's not a requirement.
They have excellent changing rooms, showers, and bathrooms for both men and women.
It truly is a religious experience dipping your body into that hot spring. We also got out after about 15 minutes, then walked over to the cold stream and splashed the freezing water on our bodies.
We went back into the main hot spring to warm up again. The air temperature was around 21 degrees Fahrenheit and it felt amazing. They also have a swimming pool that's operational in the summer.
Next to the hot spring is another pool that's not as hot. Make sure you drink plenty of water and enjoy the healing benefits of the hot spring. Both, me and my brother felt amazing in our legs for about 4 hours after... we both commented on how good we felt as well as when it started to wear off. It's amazing the difference that hot spring had on us.
I don't think we'd ever visit in the summer or on a hot day... but that's just us. We'd wait until the weather is probably under 60 degrees Fahrenheit or so.
But... you gotta try this place... even if it's 2:30 am on a Sunday... you can go sit in the hot spring for free. We will definitely be planning our future trips so we can swing through there and take a dip in it again. Plus... the town is kind of cute... and it'd be fun to spend a day or so exploring beyond the hot spring. We also saw a lot of deer and the scenery is out of this world!

Don't be afraid of this place - it's open 24 hours, is 20 minutes from the highway, and is totally a magical place. There are two major pools: one is warm, the other is hot, and in the hot one there is a SUPER hot tub that all the water comes from. There are changing facilities on site, as well as lockers - we definitely would have brought a lock to make things easier. Huge parking lot also, which is only about 250 ft from the actual pools. It was super relaxing and definitely worth the detour. Oh! There are also showers, but bring your own soap. Note: we went at night when it was 8 degrees outside and there weren't too many people.

This is the first time I have visited a natural spring. The facility is well maintained. The shower and restroom is clean. The temperature of the three poles are measured regularly and shown on a board on the side of the building. During the short period we were there, I saw the worker there measuring the temple and cleaning the shower room. Entry is free with donations suggested.
I tried the Lobster following the advice of an older gentleman and I LOVED it. I entered the pool a total of three times. I now feel that I am addicted to it.

We go to Snowy Range every year for Christmas and had heard there was a Hot Springs a little over an hour from our Airbnb. We are usually too warn out from skiing to go but this year we made it happen. Absolutely worth it. Met very nice people there. It feels amazing. Our 3 kids loved it too. The next night, our 14 yr old asked if we could go back. Wish we had a Hot Springs closer to our house in Nebraska.
Kiki Fasbender — Google review
This is honestly the best thing you can do for free! The hot springs are relaxing and healing and there's a Creek that kids find amusing. The creek I too cold usually unless it's in the summer, but the smaller pool is a good temperature for kids. The bigger pool is usually the hottest so ease in slowly. Also be careful of all the moss on the steps. Its so slippery!
Alyssa L Herbst — Google review
This Hot Springs is Donation based and its clean and has various pools to choose from, even the creek has sitting pools and the coolness of the creek itself make it refreshing. Keep in mind there are Craw fish and water snakes.
The bathrooms are also clean but don't expect hot water for your shower.
D. Francis — Google review
i love this place! when i went though the water was either too hot (117.7°) or way too cold. BUT its an amazing place regardless. my dog loved it. the algae was my favorite part by far. im obsessed with it. SO SOFT. id come back for that alone.
killuminati — Google review
Great place to soak in free thermal waters. The place has no lifeguard so if you visit the place be aware of that. It is near the river and it has a couple of places within the river that is not as hot as the walled two pools. The two pools inside the place have different depths, however, the temperature is the water is similar. There are some lockers with no locks. You bring your own. There are stairs and a ramp though I am not sure if is that great for wheelchairs. That said there is a path at the left by the entrance where they have the municipal pool that is OK though not paved. The trail I'm the back of the place and towards the main river section is beautiful. If you like to hike or walk I highly recommend it. The place is free and there is plenty of parking.
Juan Antonio Bernabeu — Google review
Nice place for a trip, especially in cold days. There are two pools where the hot spring opens. One is around 105 degrees and the other one is around 130 degrees. The pools have algae grown up, and smells.
Pool has a constant flow, opens to a branch of North Platte River. The opening is the MUST TRY spot for relaxing in the flowing water. You have the constant flow of the river, and hot water from the spring. The warm feeling, with a chance to enjoy the nature gives an amazing feeling.
Toilets and changing room isn’t clean. Locker doors are rusty and broken.
Omer Faruq — Google review
Great place! The hobo hot springs is free! When you get too hot in the hot springs you can walk over to the creek to cool off or they have a swimming pool (which has a small entry fee). The Hot Springs spills into the creek so you can get a mixture of warm and cold water. My family utilized all three when we went and had a great time! Everything is kept up nicely. The swimming pool provided pool noodles and inflatables to play with. Highly recommend!
Chantel Vaughan — Google review
A sublime detour for any road-trip or destination of it’s own. There are lovely resorts in the area that will give you a more pampered experience of the natural hot springs. But, I whole-heartedly recommend the municipal access Hobo springs, with bare-bones amenities. 24-hour access, no matter when you arrive. I visited between 6-8 pm on a Thursday and 8-9 am on Friday.
At one point, it looked like I was going to be alone at the pools and I thought I better leave, as a women traveling alone. But quickly, new parties arrived. I’ve traveled the world and never been in a situation where I could meet so many friendly travelers and locals in such a short amount of time. People were very generous with their stories and local advice. There is space for quiet reflection or visiting, whatever you like.
I exercised the hot/cold therapeutic practice of 3 minutes in the hot pool, 1 minute in the cold river, 3 times. Aches and pains completely melted away!
* If you prefer a totally natural experience, hot spots can be found in the river; though it won’t be as hot as the pools.
Shannon Barg — Google review
Such an incredible public pool, amazing that it’s free. Great soak after playing in the medicine bowl mountains in the snow. Pools were HOT

Was a little busy when we went on a Sunday in February, but was a fun experience for the whole family. Dressing rooms are small and not very private, no curtains or anything. Would recommend coming with your swim suit on. Water felt great and was very therapeutic for my husband's sore back.
I hope to go back again someday, it's been a little while since I was there last. I was in Wyoming again this last week, but didn't get a chance to stop by. It was so memorable the last time. The building looks over you and the history and darkness within pulls you in and keeps it interesting.
Hannah Folk — Google review
What a great experience and tour! Jeremy and Galen were absolutely fantastic. The museum is free, but if you go, and you need to, TAKE THE TOUR! Galen was just fantastic. He wove a tale of known history and first person-prisoner stories, yet left some answers to questions to the imagination. He was friendly, knowledgeable, safety conscious, and available to answer any questions you may have! My only regret is that I didn't have the time to take the tour again!
James Saitta — Google review
Really cold, but that was an incredible tour! The tour guild was very informative and genuinely seemed to enjoy talking about this place! If you bring a jacket you should be good for the colder months, but other than that you shouldn't need to bring anything special. Most of it is somewhat intact, but some parts are more like looking in an abandoned castle. The tickets are fairly priced, 12 dollars for an adult entry. The artwork on the walls is incredible!
(Water was drinkably cold, 6/10)

This place is amazing. The tour guide expertly detailed the penitentiary’s history, its inmates, and the nuances that accompany prison life. Visiting this prison should be on everyone’s bucket list.
Kodiak Thundersnow — Google review
The prison looks typical of many of the time. The stories are what makes the tour and our guide, Samantha did a great job. The tour takes about an hour and costs $10/person. You can enter the museum for free. We found it a good value. Apparently they decorate and do a Halloween tour so if you're around then, I expect it would be fun.
Cynthia P — Google review
On a whim, I packed up the Harley and headed 5.5 hours north with the sole purpose of doing this tour and was not disappointed!! Our tour guide was amazing! There are so many cool things on the grounds. Death row. Gas chamber. And all the stories were great. Take your time looking around the museum area too. Lots of stuff that's not on the tour to check out as well. Already recommended to a bunch of people and tentative plans for a group ride next year.
Tom Brockus — Google review
The tour was worth the time and the $12. I loved seeing the prison--honestly I wish I could have seen more, like the prison and the warden's office. The museum has lots of cool objects. Loved it!
Laura Marshall — Google review
This was a very interesting tour! Family friendly too, so bring your kids on down with you into the gas chamber and maximum security cells! The tour guide did a great job explaining everything, and I really enjoyed how much hands on stuff there was here.
The few suggestions I have that I think could think of to improve the tour experience would be to talk more about the prisoners crimes and what they did to get sentenced here, and more emphasis on what the daily life of the prisoner would be like. This would allow for a more immersive experience!
Great and fun tour anyways!
Tazz — Google review
So worth the visit. Lots of interesting history here!
“The cornerstone of the prison was laid in 1888, but due to funding issues and Wyoming’s notorious weather, the doors wouldn’t open for thirteen years. In December of 1901, the prison opened and consisted of 104 cells (Cell Block A), no electricity or running water, and very inadequate heating.”

The tour was incredible! Well worth the money! Our guide was super knowledgeable. We got to see so much more than I thought we would. I will definitely return when we’re back this way!
Ainsley Pinchback — Google review
This was an excellent tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and the tour covered virtually every part of the prison. Great history which was pretty well documented and most of the history of the prison has physically been preserved. How much nicer tour than I was expecting. Great job! Thanks

I love these LOCAL history museums. This museum holds a collection of counties in the area. I highly recommend stopping! The pictures tell the story!

What a gem in a small town. Not a huge museum but had lots of interesting local history on display. Anyone going through Rawlins should take an hour and visit. You'll like it I guarantee it!

An absolutely amazing experience! A bit off the beaten path, this place is absolutely chock full of history and weird stories about the area! Disnt expect them to be open during Covid, but extremely Covid safe and concious of the pandemic. Everyone there was super nice and showed off the exibits in a really fun and engaging way. Definitely stop in and see the old fire truck, the wax core phonograph, and their collection of amazing local history artifacts, including some amazing old medical supplies.

Great little county museum. Friendly staff. Fun to see my relative featured at the museum (General Rawlins).

Had a little time to spare in Rawlings Wyoming and stopped by the Museum. First , the staff was very nice and welcoming. The small museum was warm and had some really interesting artifacts from cowboys to Indians and lifestyles of frontier Rawlings. I had read about “Big Nose George and Cattle Kate” and the exhibits on those two were interesting …. Easy to find and in the hart of the Wild Bunch Country everyone should stop bye.

The exhibits were great, the staff was very knowledgeable about everything. They answered all of my questions and were very polite. Wonderful experience, I highly recommend everyone to come visit the museum.

I loved this little museum, there were a lot of displays and interesting stories about the old times. I loved the old fire truck and all the old pictures of the Union Pacific Railroad times. Men were men back then. The museum was free but take donations, we donated and I hope others do to keep little museums like this going
Phil — Google review
Really interesting little museum, really like that the artefacts were all linked together through stories, some of the other museums we visited seemed to just be collections of random items, but this felt like a proper tour of the areas history! Really a highlight of our road trip through Wyoming, even better when you know it is donations only! If you're in the area it also worth visiting the Wyoming State Penitentiary Museum just down the road!

It's great that different events are held there. Got to hear from our local senators and representatives. It was pathetic that in Rock Springs, town of over 20,000, barely 40 showed up?! What do you expect? Of course those that weren't there will be the biggest complainers. SHOW UP PEOPLE, MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

when they start treating this like an athletic program instead of a junior varsity property
they might start getting a more consistent turn out of fans to watch the games.
and if they would start charging admission may
be they could afford to hire a decent womens basketball coach. it is going to take a long time to dig out of the mess that this current coach has created. it is an injustice to any female athlete that chose to play at basketball at Western.

I wish the dinosaur exhibits weren't spread throughout the entire college. It'd would be nice if they were just gathered in one spot.

It's a really nice campus these are just a few of the exhibits they have there didn't want to ruin the experience you have to see the T-Rex and others for yourself!

Always enjoy going to the theater in the Collage. Enjoy taking the kids to see the dinosaur exhibit and the pendulum. The fossils are way cool. There's a small exhibit of crystals. If you are into science the lab also has some neat stuff to check out.

They can't be bothered to answer email inquiries, which is extremely common in Wyoming (except for the local library), but very bad form for a college. Maybe the people in charge of responding to emails can't read. Makes me very leery about placing my education in their hands.

Had an hour to kill in Rock Springs and decided to visit the College to see their dinosaur fossil exhibit. Five or six really nice complete animals, plus the college facilities look impressive. Went for a walk on their one mile outdoor track. Very nice surprise and a great way to spend an hour!

My great grandson and I loved the dinosaur expedition! The arrangements were interesting and colorful..also loved the painting we saw on the walls down a hallway of mustangs and Western stuff!
Such a quaint park with meticulously groomed pathways. Water access on both sides. Lots of benches for sitting and swinging. It's so cute and functional. I wish it were in my home town.

I always think there are crocodiles lurking around in water I can't see through (too much Dinotopia). But I found a cool de@d crawdad(?) here, and also, I encountered no crocodiles. It's not a good place for crocodile hunters, but it is a good place for people who don't want to be devoured while they are minding their own business.

Beautiful park in between the green river. Access to the river is great and reasonable for my toddlers to play. People were floating down the river in life jackets and tubes. The park is also close to a splash pad that looked fun (we just didn’t play there). Bathroom facilities were adequate but there was also a port a potty for if the bathrooms were closed.

Situated in a old historic building, this museum has a small but very nice collection of artifacts, photos, and explanatory info about Green River & the county history. It includes mining, ethnic, railroad, river, and social history. There is a small gift shop. Admission is free and parking on the street is free. Well worth a visit.

This Wildlife Refuge is flat and somewhat empty, but it is very nice to just drive through, enjoying the views. The place is very peaceful, but closer to the evening there are a lot more small animals on the roads.

We've float fished the Green River from Fontenelle Dam down through the refuge. The fishing is incredible. Big trout and lots of them. Loads of fun. The scenery is way cool. Moose, otters, pelicans and one day at lunch, a special view of mama and poppa eagle with an eaglet in the nest. Really neat!

What an incredible place! There is so much history and interesting facts throughout the museum. My father loved this place, and now we do, too. Don't miss the wonderful displays they have downstairs. We couldn't go home without a skunk pelt, a beaver tail, and a Jackalpe! The gift shop has something for everyone.

Worth the visit. They have an informational video about the Mountain Men that is 20 min long. A huge collection of old rifles from the 1800's, authentic trapping gear, leather and felt clothing. Lots of information on original fur trappers and the rendezvous they went to.

An exceptional museum. Its unique focus on the mountain men and their challenges and hardships reveal a chapter of US history that many are unaware of. Children will love learning this history which also includes the Native Americans. Excellent panoramic pictures as well as historic paintings bring this time period to life.

Update 7/31/2018 We were traveling through this area again and decided to stop in for another visit. We were rewarded again as displays had been added to and rearranged. Two of our grandchildren (ages 2 and 5) were with us and were entertained as well. There was even an area for them to dress up, sit on saddles and have their picture taken.

Wife and I travel full time in our F-450 and Grand Design 380-FLR 42Ft. 5th wheel RV. I'm a retired veteran, currently work as a VOIP IT Tech and remote work full time.
One Saturday mid-morning, we were riding through Pinedale Wyoming and saw a sign - Mountain Man Museum. What is this place? We pulled into the gravel parking lot and took a look at the place from the outside.
The first thing that ran through my head was Jerimiah Johnson the mountain man movie with Robert Redford. I wasn't too far off. This build LOOKS small from the outside but believe me, it's rather big once you get in there. It has a basement with the second half of your self tour.
We were a little hesitant to pay the admission fee and am I glad we did. I got a senior discount too. For the small price we got a REAL historical adventure. Starting off, the front reception area was EXTEMELY clean and well taken care of. Restrooms we very clean. This area has your typical pamphlets and trinkets and tourism paraphernalia. The ladies at the front desk were VERY nice and were inquisitive as to where we were from. After a brief conversation and signing the guest book we were led to the entrance at the main theatre where my eyes popped open with excitement.
This is a self paced tour and if you want you can listen to the movies they have playing throughout your self paced tour. I won't go too much into detail since it took us almost 2 hours to go through each exhibit and read and gawk at all the history this place has. Relics from 1700-1800's, An entire section dedicated to the history of the weapons from this era, Army forts things, Indians garb, trapper items, stuffed animals, stories galore.. This was definitely a gem of a find. Who knew in this little town such a treasure of relics and history could be found.
For those interested in this kind of stuff, OR you have children that you want to pass on this type of United States history that most people don't know or understand, PLEASE go here.
I HIGHLY recommend this place to all audiences.

Had a great time here. June 2020. I have been doing native American powwows and regalia making for much of my life but I built my first flintlock rifle this year and am in the process of creating a mountain man persona. I got a LOT of pictures and ideas from here. The exhibits were good quality and interesting. There is plenty to look at especially if you enjoy the fur trade time period. I have a ton more pictures of detailed pieces but I don’t want to post too much and ruin it for ya!

This a wonderful museum! Loved every bit of it. In my opinion, it is second only to the Cody, WY museum. It is well worth the drive, and a great value. The displays are very well done. I'm very impressed and became an instant fan!
Nestled in the mountains of Jackson, Wyoming lies Granite Hot Springs, a popular attraction for those seeking relaxation and outdoor adventure. The campsite boasts two pools filled with warm spring water rich in minerals, one natural and one man-made. Visitors can enjoy hiking in the nearby Gros Ventre Mountains or fishing in Granite Creek. A short drive away is the picturesque Grand Teton National Park.
This was pretty amazing to swim in the Hot Springs. It's a long 10 mile drive on gravel road deep into the mountains, but the drive itself was absolutely beautiful! The river and mountains are breathtaking and there is a beautiful waterfall that is a must see just before you get to the end of the road at the Hot Springs. Cost was very reasonable and very much worth the drive and I would highly recommend for anyone going through Jackson Hole in the Teton Mountains.

Triangle X Ranch is a renowned outfitter that offers scenic float trips on the Snake River in Grand Teton National Park. The outfitters expertise allows for a safe and comfortable trip down the 10 most stunning river miles in the park, providing a unique vantage point from which to see the Tetons and other wildlife up close.
The views were beautiful and the weather was fantastic. The rafting company made the experience turnkey from managing getting on the river and off without a hitch. Safety was 1st class and our guide was fantastic telling us stories about the river and surrounding area. Highly recommend this company for a float trip. The trip was changed from the early morning to the afternoon. The company contacted us by email and phone to make sure we received the changes. Great communication on short notice! Very pleased with the experience.

We really enjoyed our Scenic River Cruise with Triangle X Ranch! Scheduled the 5 pm tour so we could catch some beautiful sunset views of the Tetons. Our raft had 6 people total and made for lively conversation! Dan, our guide, exercised the utmost in skills and safety all while telling interesting stories about Grand Teton National Park’s history, wildlife, and other various activities to experience while visiting. He even spotted a moose, beaver, and river otter for us! We absolutely recommend this relaxing cruise down the beautiful Snake River.

S and I booked this trip as part of our one week in Yellowstone and surrounding area. Our float guide and driver were both personable and knowledgeable! We had 10 people on the tour, all were pleasant. Scenery was stunning, as everyone's pics verify. We saw 4 bald eagles in the two hours ... one of them taking a splash bath in the river. And then amazingly, two moose(s?) drinking from the river within 100 yards of our pull-out. Great time, heartily recommend.

The scheduling and signing of waivers were all on line and easy. Instructions were clear about where to meet the crew. There were about 32 people that went, but the rafts were not packed (about 8 people per raft). Everything was on time and organized. We even got help putting on the life vests which are provided. I felt totally safe the entire float. It was so beautiful and was the highlight of our Montana/Wyoming trip. This is well worth the money!

A perfect way to start or end the day along the Snake River! We took the last float of the day and it was the absolute highlight of our trip. The company from start to finish was first class, focusing first on safety and then on their incredible expertise of the river and area. Our guide Jim was great in answering all our questions, sharing his stories, spotting wildlife and his knowledge of the area. So glad we added this tour at the last minute. So worth it.

The Float and the float guide (Jack) were a great experience, but pass on the dinner it's not worth the money. The float is very relaxing our guide did an excellent job guiding the tour on a windy day and still spotting lots of wildlife. We did the evening dinner float and the food was not good at all, the chicken breast was burned to a literal black crisp and was inedible, the other offerings were steak, salad, green beans, some diced fried potatoes, and a cookie--none of it standout and certainly not worth the extra money charged for dinner. Take the float, don't invest in the dinner and save the money to tip the guide.

This trip was amazing! It was an alternative way to see the Tetons. There were no crowds. It was so peaceful and we had front row seats to some of the most beautiful scenery on the earth. Our guide, Jack, was great. He maneuvered the river perfectly and gave us interesting facts along the way. We were blessed to have a moose in the river directly in front of us. It was so awesome to be so close to him and watch him get to shore and get out of the river. The whole trip was an experience I will never forget. I highly recommend this trip! It is so worth it!

My wife and I had a wonderful couple of hours on our scenic raft trip with Turner down the Snake River. We met in Moose for a brief drive upriver to the launch site, and after a short safety briefing and getting into lifejackets, we climbed aboard with our 11 other riders and guide. My first question was quickly answered. We didn't get wet at all. It was a peaceful, leisurely, lovely float for the next 10 miles. Our guide Turner did an outstanding job keeping us in the flow of the water while describing our surroundings. He could spin the raft with ease, allowing for personal pictures with the Teton peaks in the background. He answered every question asked and spotted bald eagles for us to see. Definitely a couple of the best hours spent on our month long vacation. We had such a great time, we had to later stop at the IX Ranch to pick up some swag. Well done to everyone at Triangle X! Well worth our time and expense!

Our guide answered all of our questions and had a ton of knowledge of the park, animals and the Tetons. We would highly recommend Triangle X Ranch for your float trip!
The National Elk Refuge is a protected area in Jackson Hole, Wyoming that is home to elk herds in winter. The refuge offers car rides and sleigh rides to see the animals up close. It is one of the premier wildlife destinations in the country.
We came to the elk refuge for the sleigh ride without a reservation and the ladies in the ticket booth got us in when another party hadn't shown up and within 5 minutes we were on the shuttle to get to the sleigh ride. The whole process to get on the ride was quick and easy. The only downfall is the area you load into the ride was very muddy (probably due to the recent snow melting). We also didn't have a "sleigh" ride it was more of a pulled wagon due to the snow melting and it was super bumpy, but overall our guide was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed seeing all of the Elk. My 6 year old daughter loved it. We would definitely do this tour again!

There were no elk at the time we drove through... better time to visit is when it's colder and the elk have actually come down to the refuge from the mountains. (Dec-Apr)

If you are visiting Jackson, the National Elk Refuge under the management of U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is a must visit; however, the elks migrate and stay there only during the winter, so plan appropriately. Admission is free (unless you opt to take the sleigh ride), and access is by the National Elk Refuge Road via East Broadway Ave of Jackson. There is also an observation deck at the back of the visitor center in the center of town. When we visited between Christmas and New Year's Day, numerous elks were huddled in the fields around south of the refuge near the Miller House historical landmark. Make sure to bring your binoculars and super telephoto lens if you want to see the elks and bighorn sheep close-up.

Incredible! I had no idea this would be so easily accessible and free! You can just drive right through, stop on the pullouts and enjoy the thousands of elk. We saw a bunch of ram as well that were fighting and very active. So glad we stumbled on this place and went. The road actually goes on for a very long way that not many people I noticed venture out to. We did and saw a lot more wildlife.

What’s not to like about the Elk refuge? We didn’t take the tour but drove around the back side. The elk were all right in the middle of the refuge so we didn’t get a good look at them. But, there was a bunch of mountain goats climbing the cliffs and just relaxing in the grass.

The sleigh rides at the National Elk Refuge was such a wonderful experience! Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Bring layers if you're going in the winter. The elk are so majestic and even got to see some of the males play fighting each other with their horns. We also had a surprise guest appearance from a beautiful bald eagle. Sorry to everyone who had to deal with our over-tired toddler 😬 Stunning views.

This place is awesome. I have the opportunity to be one of the sleigh guides and see what really goes on out here. Getting up close and personal with these Elk is truly an incredible experience. These animals are wild and you get to see them in their natural winter environment. It is a must for anyone coming to the Jackson Hole area. Dress warm and come on over. you are in for a ride of a lifetime.
Located in the northwestern corner of Yellowstone National Park, Signal Mountain Summit Road provides scenic views of Jackson Hole, Jackson Lake, and the towering Teton Range. The 4.3-mile route is steep at times, making it a challenge to drive up to the peak; however, the incredible views make it well worth the effort.
Great views overlooking Jackson hole area. Worth the drive!! We did an audio tour and drove to the top and back down. Not sure it's a walking trail we only saw the sign and paved area to drive to top.

Great view from higher up. You can't see the full Teton range from the top, but you might be able to with a short hike from the next stop down.

A must visit. From the main road it's about 15 minutes up to the summit, I think highest point that one can drive in the park. We saw it close to sunset and views are spectacular from there. There a few paths with different viewpoints.. Check out some of my photos.

You must go here. Grand Teton is perhaps the most photogenic National Park. This viewpoint allows you to see an almost 360 degree view of the surrounding area, with a couple of viewpoints to see the Tetons from elevation. The Snake River and Bridger-Teton National Forest are below you as well. A short drive to the top presents a great place for a picnic or a few minutes of awe.

Worth the drive up! Beautiful viewpoint. We didn't do any hiking up here, just stopped to take pics.

There’s a winding narrow five mile drive up to two view points. The first is quite small and crowded, it’s best to continue on to the top, where there is more parking. A short walk up a paved path to the overlook rewards you with stunning views of the valley below. I thought the view was neat but I wouldn’t do the drive again. Too many people driving too fast and veering into the middle on turns. I was driving a little Honda and I was constantly being pushed to the very edge of the road. Also it clearly says no large vehicles or RVs and we had a rental motorhome almost run us off into the bushes. But, like I said, the view at the top is stunning.
Tina Hawley — Google review
This was one of the best views we had! If you have the time, do it! There are 2 pullout areas. The first is near the cell tower. There is another one further up the road. Views are slightly different from each perspective.
Karen Brutzman — Google review
We went there by mistake. We thought this is the Jackson Point Overlook. However, the view is great. When we were there, it was raining very hard. There is a VZ signal tower there, I was surprised to have strong signal. The view of the Jackson Lake is blocked by trees. You should go for the Jackson Point Overlook.

This is a well maintained road to the summit with beautiful scenery. We rode our e-bikes up and back down this road. Very easy and vehicles are courteous. There are 2 different places to stop to see the views, which are incredible. The first stop has trails to see the views. They are easy and short. The second stop is paved and a short walk to the top. Highly recommend this drive. Very pretty!

Definitely worth the drive to the summit of Signal Mountain when driving through Grand Teton. I'd reccommend stopping at both turn out points, and spending a few minutes at each admiring the views. It's not a far walk to the look out points from the road, and the views are well worth the detour!
Jackson Town Square is a popular park with iconic elk antler archways at each corner and a grassy center with trees and benches. The reviewers on Trip Advisor who have been there say that it is a great place to sit and people watch, and that it is convenient to all the shops. The creatures in the park are also popular.
What a great place. Luckily it's off season for tourists. Ended up buying a mini hair tie in the fur shop. That's about all most people could afford.

Cool quaint town to eat, shop or just hang out. Very walkable, free public parking with multiple entrances and moderately expensive but beautiful and well stocked shops. Easy 2-3 hours well spent.
We did find a parking spot but no info about fees or clarity if it was free. We did park for 2 hours and no tickets. Some construction at the end of June 2022 making a bit congested in a particular area.

The town square in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, is a delightful destination brimming with character. Anchored by a small park adorned with elk antler arches at its four corners, it offers a picturesque setting for visitors to explore. In the center of the park stands a small yet poignant veterans memorial monument, adding a touch of solemnity to the surroundings. Surrounding the park, you'll find a variety of shops and restaurants, making it the perfect place for a leisurely stroll. Whether you're admiring the antler arches, paying tribute at the memorial, or browsing the nearby establishments, the town square offers a charming experience that captures the essence of Jackson Hole.

The town square of downtown Jackson Hole is very unique and charming. The antler archers on the 4 corners of the town square are a staple for your visit. We enjoyed a beautiful brisk afternoon walking around and popping into the different shops. My main reason for giving 4 stars is that I wish downtown Jackson Hole had more local good/unique shops rather than SO many touristy tee shirt shops.

Jackson Town square is a must see!
Amier arches, have been gales to the Jackson Town Square 1 since 1960. The antlers are from elk that winter on the National Elk Refuge. About 7,500 elk spend each winter on the refuge. The bulls shed their antlers each spring. Antlers are picked up by local Boy Scouts and sold by public auction in this square each May. All four arches were built by the Jackson Hole Rotary Club.
The arches are here for all to enjoy
it is unlawful to remove antlers from
these arches, and subject to $750 in fines.

In Jackson's heart, where legends ride,
A tradition lives, with a cowboy stride.
The Town Square Shootout, a Wild West play,
For sixty-five years, it's held its sway.
Memorial to Labor, each summer night,
The streets come alive, in the fading light.
The Chamber of Commerce, the Playhouse true,
Bring history to life, for me and for you.
From six to seven, the gunslingers stand,
Reenacting the past, a courageous band.
Four million souls, they've witnessed the sight,
Of bullets and showdowns, as day turns to night.
No need for a ticket, no need for a fee,
Just gather 'round, let your spirit run free.
At half past five, on the northeast side,
In Jackson's Town Square, let history ride.

Cozy center of town surrounded by some decent eateries and overpriced tourist trap bars & shops.
The town used to have meaning. Historic value. Check out Clint Eastwood I. 'every which way but loose' and 'every which way you can.' Much of the second film was made in Jackson and one gets a feel for it's charm. We started having annual family camping trips in the 80's near Teton Village. Now the campground is a private gated community with 7 or 8 twenty million dollar homes. Yeah, they're nice but get real. When the average citizen cannot gain access, camp with their kids or share an afternoon doing what families have been doing there for centuries, it makes me sick knowing it belongs to the spoiled few who could in all reality care less about the rest of us, the past struggles of ordinary immigrants and trappers, their sacrifices and harsh realities. Not to mention the natives who once inhabited the land with reverence. The idea of 'owning' the land was preposterous to them. You cannot own the land. You take from it and give back. Let's give it all back to them so it can become as it once was: proud, glorious and free

This is a very unique picturesque public space. It is not very big but very beautiful.
It is surrounded by unique wooden boardwalks, local shops, art galleries and restaurants. One of the most notable features of the town square are the iconic elk antler arches, which were constructed from shed antlers collected from the nearby National Elk Refuge. There is a giant arch at each corner of the square.
The town square serves as a gathering place for locals and tourists, offering a variety of activities and events throughout the year. During the summer, the square hosts farmers markets where visitors can find fresh produce, local crafts and homemade goods. Art festivals, concerts and other cultural events are also held on the square, providing entertainment for visitors of all ages.
In the winter, the town square is transformed into a winter wonderland. Festive lights adorn the trees and an ice skating rink is set up for visitors to enjoy. The annual holiday tradition of lighting the town square Christmas tree attracts locals and tourists alike, creating a joyful and festive atmosphere.
In addition to its attractions and events, the town square is a starting point for exploring nearby Grand Teton National Park and world-renowned Yellowstone National Park. Visitors will find information centers and tour operators around the square, offering guidance and assistance for outdoor adventures.

I like old places and cities...buildings are built in the old style, cowboy hats and fire water :) at least for a little while you travel in time...:) But the cityJackson was originally populated by Native American tribes including the Shoshoni, Crow, Blackfeet, Bannock, and Gros Ventre...

Visiting the Elk Antler Arch in Jackson Hole was an unforgettable experience. This iconic landmark, artistically crafted from naturally shed elk antlers, stands as a majestic gateway to the town square, encapsulating the spirit and beauty of the surrounding wilderness. The craftsmanship is remarkable, and the scale of the arch is truly awe-inspiring, providing a perfect backdrop for photos and a tangible connection to the area's rich wildlife heritage.

There was a festival think going on till noon when we got there. Like a farmers market with live music. The square itself supposedly no dog or smoking allowed but both were common to see. Lots of benches in the park though while we were there people were using most of them for their stuff and standing around them protecting them. It was very odd. Arches at each of the 4 entrances. Also horse carriage rides.

Jackson Town Square has four elk antler arches, one in each corner, the first being erected in 1953, by the then Rotary Club. It was a huge surprise hit for them, so they started to plan for arches on the other three corners of the Square. All four arches were completed in 1969, with “shed” antlers being harvested from the National Elk Refuge. The arches that stand on the corners now are the second rebuild, since the bone antlers need periodic replacing. Antlers are interwoven around a steel frame and secured as needed. Each arch has approximately 2,000 complete antlers, weighing in at between 10,000 to 20,000 pounds.
The Southwest Arch is the most popular for photographs, so if one wants a less crowded view, try one of the others, as I did.
There was absolutely no place to park on this very crowded day, so I had to get out, while someone else kept the car moving. I took two photos, one of the crowd at the SW Arch, and one at the NW Arch, where I was alone.

Don't bring your four legged friends here even in the park, especially in their doggy bucket list trip. 💔🐾 Not a dog friendly town from what we could tell. You can still stand outside the arches and take photos. They are impressive.

Well worth the price. They do a great job of getting the crowed involved, very interactive and thought out. Be careful when buying tics online as brokers and third party websites come up before the actual Rodeo ticket page and charge $100’s of dollars more than what tics actually cost from the rodeo. It’s definitely a must see if in town for the weekend.

My first experience at a rodeo. I did enjoy the activities although I do feel that there could have been more of a rodeo vs filling up the time with random activities and games with the crowd. Of course I realize some of that is a part of the rodeo but then again I paid quite a bit of money for a ticket to see a real rodeo. They had a handful of bulls and riders. The food and drinks was outrageous. The cheapest item was a very small 4.00 box of pop corn. All in all it was a okay experience the bull riders did a great job out there.

We attended the Rodeo on Saturday Night while visiting Jackson Hole. We had a great time and highly recommend this for the entire family. The Announcer was fabulous, and everyone involved with putting on the show was professional and appeared to really enjoy their jobs. Towards the end of the show, they hosted a competition for groups of kids, 5 and under and between 5 and 11 years of age. They were chasing sheep and trying to get a ribbon in exchange for a prize. They had a blast. The Rodeo Competitors won’t let you down either. Their highly competitive and put in a tremendous show. Do you and you family a favor and don’t miss an opportunity to attend this rodeo. It starts at 8:00 pm and is over at 10:00 pm.

This was our first rodeo. We sat next to a couple from TX and they said this is how rodeos are supposed to be and this truly authentic. We enjoyed ourselves. Very patriotic environment with horses, announcer, Star Spangled Banner, etc. They also were very safe when they invited the kids to come into circle by locking all the gates so no one wandered off with a kid. They ensured all kids were back with their parents prior to opening the gates. Would definitely recommend for all ages young and old alike.

Have to be honest, this was a boatload of fun. Wouldn't by any stretch have imagined I'd have such a good time at a rodeo, but this place was definitely worth the visit. No idea what was going on with the bull riding (the scoring criteria was a bit to follow, with the exception of the 8 second timer) but still it was cool to see all the women and men competing. The announcers were hilarious, and the whole atmosphere was welcoming. Lots of fun for the kids.

Out in Jackson Hole, under the wide open sky,
Where the stars gleam bright and the wind sings high,
There's a rodeo, friend, that'll steal your heart away,
With buckin' broncs and brave cowboys, a thrillin' display.
The Jackson Hole Rodeo, it's a sight to behold,
Where the dust kicks up and the stories are told.
Bulls snortin' fire, ridin' high and wild,
Cowgirls spurrin' hard, like a motherless child.
The crowd roars loud, with a cheer and a holler,
As riders cling on, showin' true grit and dollar.
Barrel racers fly, like a bat outta hell,
And them ropers, quick as a ringin' church bell.
So if you're lookin' for action, in Jackson Hole town,
Where the spirit of the West never does slow down,
Head to that rodeo, let your heart run free,
The Jackson Hole Rodeo, where the West's meant to be.
Grand Teton National Park is a world-renowned natural wonder, with plenty of hiking trails and opportunities for swimming and rafting in its dramatic valleys and mountains. With unparalleled views of the Tetons, it's one of the must-see attractions in Jackson Hole.
One of the best national parks! Mountains, lakes, streams, waterfalls, moose, elk, bears, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, camping, and so much more. Hiking the canyons is especially amazing. Last year my wife and I went to the Teton mountains, we had planned this trip in 2022 and it just so happened to be my 50th. anniversary of visiting the park for the first time as a teenager. The Tetons are my most favorite mountain range ever since that 1973 family vacation and I named my first dog a Wolf/Husky hybrid after those mountains. It was a 14 day trip as we took our time going out there and spending a week in the park. We also did the Lake Solitude hike as well. Wyoming is one of my favorite states, I guess there's a bit of Cowboy in me. We'll eventually go out west again and maybe go through the park just to get another fix of the splendid grandeur.

One of the most majestic places on this planet and also one of the most underrated national parks in the US simply because it's next to Yellowstone. A few tips for visitors:
1) Summer is a good time to visit but it's very crowded. Late fall to early winter is the best time because you have less crowds but roads are still open and you see lots of undisturbed wildlife.
2) Lodging gets expensive in spring and summer so book ahead. Jackson Hole is expensive so you can try the nearby small towns.
Jenny Lake is a beautiful glacial mountain lake located in the heart of Grand Teton National Park. It's a popular spot for hiking, fishing, swimming, and boating during the summer months. If you're visiting in the summer, it's important to note that campsites can fill up quickly so be sure to plan your trip ahead!
Jenny Lake is one of the most popular sites in Grand Teton National Park. It is very beautiful area. There is a visitor center, camp ground and large parking lots at south east edge of the lake. From there there is a trail going north to Jenny Lake Overlook which is not very impressive. If you go south you get to boat station from which you can take a boat to the start of Cascade Canyon trail on west side of the lake. The fare is $12 for adult. Taking the boat would shave about 2 miles from the hike to where boat take you. From there there is 0.5 mile trail to Hidden Falls which are beautiful, and from there another half mile hike upward takes you to Inspirational Point with great views of the lake from the top.
If you plan to visit get there early otherwise parking may become a problem.

My husband and I snowshoed all the way to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point yesterday. Unfortunately, because the snow covered most of the trails and we came out on the first day it opened, we were unable to find the Jenny Lake Trailhead from the South entrance that hugs the left side of the lake. Instead we took the trail that looks like the black dotted line more on the left on the AllTrails map (the Western leg of the Hidden Falls loop trail). We followed the tracks of other snowshoes. It takes you up the mountain to incredible views of the lake along the way. Just be aware that at one point, you’re essentially walking across a double black diamond slope over 3-4 feet of snow. After seeing the falls and Inspiration Point, we tried to find the trail that hugs the lake on our way back South (we decided not the do the whole loop around Jenny Lake since it was going to rain), but found bear tracks and decided to turn around and go back the same way we came from. It was difficult to hike this with snowshoes, so it would be incredibly challenging to attempt this without at this time. The bridges that cross the river were also covered in 4 feet of snow.
Christine L. — Google review
One of the most beautiful views in the world! I got there at 8am on a late May morning, before the crowds, and had much of the loop trail to myself. The lake was mirror-like and the sky was a bright blue with a few billowing clouds - just spectacular! Don't miss the chance to see it yourself, the photos are awesome, but don't do it justice. Plan ahead to miss the crowds. Very highly recommended!

Amazing place in the Grand Teton National Park 🏞️. The lake is beautiful and water is very clean and calm. We took the boat ride across the Jenny Lake to reach the base of the Teton. The trek to inspiration point and the hidden falls start from here. Jenny Lake is a definite visit during your trip to Grand Teton.

Beautiful Lake. Nice bridge to cross when following the trail. We rode over 10,000 feet in elevation to the top of Paintbrush Canyon. Loved every minute of it 🙂 The Lake was so peaceful.

Amazing clear lake with even more amazing views. There are several trails to choose from. One is very easy around the right shore of the lake. You could also take the boat to the trail that leads to the falls. The boat didn't run in the middle of May, so a little research is necessary when the boat season actually starts.
Although there are plenty of parking spots, they fill up quickly. You should get there very early or have endless patience waiting for a car to leave.
This being nature, you may encounter wildlife.
In mid-May there were sometimes piles of snow and part of the lake was frozen.

Very pretty. Clear water. Breathtaking. Too many people. Arrive at like 6am if you want a parking spot in the parking lot. I wanted to a different hike but the only hike available was Jenny Lake. Not too many people on this one. So that was nice.

Jenny Lake is a gorgeous place, with a lot to offer and a photographer’s delight. We took an interpretative boat tour of the lake on a sunny afternoon, and under light rain, a play between clouds and bright sunlight made for the very best and lively views of the Grand Teton peaks (we felt so close to them). On the others side, the discovery trail led to impressive waterfalls, and a great view of the lake from a height. If you can hike further up and we did not (it is more steep and slippery), there is more to discover! The one way drive on the Jenny Lake loop is also very beautiful (and not more of the same).

The lake offers amazing views, especially of the Tetons.
It is considered a moderately challenging route, we took about 4 hours to complete.

One if the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited in the U.S. We spent the day hiking around the lake enjoying all the beauty. Make sure arrive early in the morning. We arrived just before 8:00am, and we were just barely able to get a parking space.

Best lake in Teton. Water is so clear, view is awesome. Take the shuttle boat to the other side of lake, hike to hidden fall (easy .5 miles hike) and inspiration point (moderate .5 miles from hidden fall). We went there twice on 2 consecutive days and love it. My little girl wants to go there everyday.

Drive in was beautiful! Hiked to the water fall and back. It took my kids and me 4 hours to hike there and back. We were planning on riding the boat across the lake that day but it was CLOSED. So make sure to check that before you go.

We chose to get the boat to go across for the hike to see the waterfall. Listen when they tell you it'll rain. Got over started pouring, has to wait to get a ride back. Very pretty. Seeinf the foxes was neat. The boat ride was fun, and when it wasn't raining it was beautiful on the other side of the lake. Pretty easy hike up to the falls. Well defined trail. You can walk around too it instead of renting the boat ride. Pretty views, friendly staff.

We visited recently. We took the boat across the lake and hiked up to Inspiration Point. It's an easy to moderate hike. Great views. However, this was the most crowded thing we did on our vacation to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. We had to park alongside the highway and walk a good bit to the lake.

It’s a very beautiful and popular location in the Grand Teton National Park that visitors frequently visited!
There is a visitor center and gift shop that you can get some souvenir and supplies or cup of coffee!
The lake itself is pretty nice. There are also a boat ride offered with gasoline outboard engines which I think if they can change to the electric motors would be better. Because the sound of the gas engine truly disrupt the tranquility of this beautiful scenery!

This is a beautiful lake, water is very calm. I saw lots of animals close up when walking the trails. First time seeing moose walking pass right in front of me. I also saw a red fox when I am leaving the park. Would recommend people visit the place.

Stunning lake, ideal
For a nice hike, we went rethought the loop trail up to Hidden Falls and then took the boat back. It’s about an hour walk, beautiful surroundings, it’s not to hard to walk and very much worth it! We didn’t have time to swim but the water looked amazing, it is one of the clearest lakes I’ve ever seen. I recommend
Jenny Lake Trail is a 7.1-mile moderate hiking trail that encircles a picturesque lake, offering stunning views of water, forests, and mountains. The area also boasts several other hiking trails of varying difficulty levels, leading to breathtaking mountain vistas and more. Visitors can explore the Forks of Cascade Canyon, admire Hidden Falls, or venture into glacier territory at Hurricane Pass.
Great views of Jenny Lake. If you're taking this trail to get to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point in winter, I highly recommend going counterclockwise. Trail gets very slushy when the ice melts. Bring good shoes that will not let the water seep or plan on going slightly earlier in the day when you can walk on snow.
Rasikanand Harvind — Google review
Loved the views, but in case this matters to anyone else: the trail had rocks sticking up/out from the dirt, so I spent most (at least the first half) of the hike looking down at where I was walking. This was in the late summer, so no snow cover. I was definitely out of shape, so towards the waterfall where the incline increased, I was out of breath and had to stop for a minute every so often :) The falls were gorgeous! But I'd probably rather take the ferry ride over next time, even if I'm in better physical fitness. the little "village" at the start (Jenny lake visitors center) was great. Also, at the end of our hike, we took off our shoes and waded in the water, it felt great!

Jackson Hole Aerial Tram and Gondola Rides is a ski resort located in the beautiful valley of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. With views of both Snow King Mountain and Grand Teton National Park, this resort offers an array of activities for visitors to enjoy during the winter season. The aerial tram ride up to the top of the mountain offers a great way to see all that this ski resort has to offer, while also enjoying happy hour on The Deck, which overlooks the whole of the Hole.
The aerial tram ride was totally worth the money (even if it is a little pricey - order the tickets online for a little discount)! A quick and scenic ride gets you up to the top in 15 minutes (or less, if there's weather coming in). You can easily hike around the summit of the resort and check out some of your favorite ski runs. There is also a waffle shack where you can grab a snack and a beer and enjoy the views. Will definitely come back here again .

This place is so cool! Sadly, we went while the tram was closed for the summer BUT we still had a great time! From the guys working the free parking booth helping us with navigation and offering us a nice map as first time visitors, to the nice employees who made buying tickets for the gondola and ropes course easy and the sweet employees at the ropes course letting me sit in the shade while my sister was on the course- this experience could have only have been better if the smoke from the California fires could've gone away!
Anyways, we will definitely be coming back to do everything we couldn't do yet like mountain biking, hiking and rock climbing! There is just so much cool stuff to do here! This place was definitely a 6 out of 5 stars and definitely has there s%*t together to help families have a wonderful trip! Thanks guys!

Very fun experience. There’s a waffle cabin where you can grab a drink, annnd waffles! It’s about 20 degrees colder up there so dress appropriately. Staff was very nice and informative. You don’t need to be a skier to enjoy this tram!

We had an unforgettable time at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, where the breathtaking scenery immediately captivated us upon arrival. The Aerial Tram and Gondola rides were undeniably the highlights of our trip.
The evening Aerial Tram ride provided a magical and exclusive experience. To save time, you can purchase tickets online or conveniently buy them at counters for the evening gondola. As we ascended, the twinkling lights of the resort and nearby town painted a picturesque scene, which we couldn't resist capturing with our cameras.
Reaching the summit, we were in awe of the panoramic views. The top offered a selection of restaurants to grab a bite while enjoying the stunning views from above. On the day of our visit, we were fortunate to be entertained by a live music band, adding to the memorable evening.
The Gondola ride down the mountain was equally enchanting, as the resort's glowing lights created a warm and inviting atmosphere.
In conclusion, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort with its Aerial Tram and Gondola rides is a must-visit for any adventure seeker or nature enthusiast. The resort provides an extraordinary experience that will undoubtedly leave you with cherished memories.

Purchased the family day pass and spent most of the afternoon here. Free parking and lot of food options at the base. Amazing waffles at the top of the mountain if you take air tram. There are plenty of hiking trails at the top. We did cirque trail which was awesome. Little difficult because of loose rocks and snow patches but doable for casual hikers. There are lot of other activities to do too. Bungee jumping and bike riding options.

The aerial tram was awesome! The ride was smooth. I’m afraid of heights, and only the last minute of the ride up the mountain triggered a bit of panic. But the views from the summit were worth it! The tram operators were friendly and offered advice on things to do in the area. There’s a small cabin at the summit where you can buy waffles, snacks, and drinks. GET THE HOT CHOCOLATE! Delicious.

Good service at the Gondola, nice maps of hiking trails. Just stunning views to wherever you look.
The Restaurant on top was nice with some really good pizza. Having that on the terrace by fabulous sunshine and the great view was awesome. We hiked a couple of trails on top and then decided to walk down. It was no piece of cake and we were late to catch the other Gondola half way down. Our knees and toes suffered a bit on the way down however it is doable. Many nice benches and resting places to take it easy. I hope to be back.

This attraction is very limited for the majority of the visitors. When we went up, it was around 2pm and 30+mph winds. Upon reaching the top, we ordered our $9 waffles then headed back down. (Peanut butter & bacon, and lemon) By the time we came back from the second tram, the winds were 67mph The operators told us that the cable cars could withstand 80mph winds, but advised us to head back down immediately since the winds were picking up so quickly. There was nothing to do at the top. Some people were hiking, and others had their mountain bikes. Weren't able to enjoy the other gondolas that were included in the price, due to the weather, so I can't rate them. Gave 4* for the safety advice of the operator, and the owner interaction. Thank you, Lexi, it was a pleasure speaking with you.

All you could ask for in a brewery: scenic views, indoor/outdoor seating, dog friendly, friendly staff, and delicious grub and drinks. I got the flight (which had I paid individually for the sips, it would have been cheaper). I personally loved the Alpine Soul (a nice smokiness) but the 2x4 is amazing as well.

Great place! An actual industrial sized brewery in the small Wyoming town, with a bar and restaurant inside that are super fun. Picnic tables with super casual feel Wyoming style. Family friendly dining inside and outside. I have only seen this place in the off-season, but it looks like it is the host of some large events. I will be back to report some more soon. Also this place is dog friendly with a waste pickup station, outside the building of course.

Amazing food, great staff, awesome beer. One star down because they put SWEET pickles on everything including the burgers. Some people like it, but damn if I’m going to spend $20 on a burger please clarify this on menu. Just says “pickles” in the description, and it overpowers any other flavor in the burger.

So glad I finally made it to Alpine. I've been a fan of Melvin beer for many years frequenting Thai-me-up every time I am in Jackson. Came here with a big group and had a great time playing bags and listening to the house band. Nice point for sunset. Too bad they were low on swag, I would have bought more. Great burgers. 2x4 and Citradamus were my favorite beers.

Amazingly good beers, small wine and cider selection and excellent food. The potstickers!! Boom.
This is a working brewery so it can be loud inside, so get over it. Excellent outside seating area for good weather descent space inside but it can fill up fast.
All around five stars but they lost a star because honestly some of the staff was awesome and some of them seemed put out they had to deal with customers. Talking with others who’d been here before, it sounds like a recurring theme. Anyway everything else is 5.

The appetizers were phenomenal- I would highly recommend the deep fried avocados! The burgers, however, were extremely disappointing. I got the Drunken Master Burger and it was so dry. It would have tasted a lot better with a tomato or some lettuce. You can’t even taste the bacon spread or aioli. Definitely not worth $16 for a plain cheese burger.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is one of the most popular ski resorts in the country with challenging terrain, an aerial tram, and lively base village. With more than 4,000 feet of vertical terrain and unprecedented access to out-of-bounds terrain, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is perfect for skiers of all levels.
One of the best ski resorts in the U.S. for many reasons. The mountain is spectacular and boasts some of the most challenging runs in the world. That being said, they are very friendly toward beginning skiers and boarders offering one of the best ski schools I've seen with high caliber instructors. Hope that continues because this is one of the main reasons we continue to choice Jackson Hole every year. They've been able to retain top quality employees throughout the resort from instructors to food service to mountain hosts. On that note, they have tons of staff everywhere to help you with anything and they are genuinely kind, friendly and not lazy. I've seen other resorts really lacking in this department and it really ruins your vacation when you come across negative employees.
They limit ticket sales and require Ikon reservations so it's never horribly crowded like Mammoth.
There are plenty of delicious food choices throughout the resort and some are really top notch. Definitely one of the best resorts for food quality and variety.
The buyers do a great job of stocking the stores with a varied selection of nice quality merchandise. One thing they don't have a ton of is kid's equipment for sale so if you need that you need to go to town or just rent.
Really nice to see that this resort has been able to grow but still retain its friendly small town personality.

My First visit in December 2021 was epic. Challenging terrain, incredible snow conditions, well groomed, friendly and helpful staff, many lifts and gondolas, multiple options for food/drink, and downright beautiful.
There were some things that were less-than-epic though. Finding a Parking spot was challenge, and parking is expensive ($30-40 for a few hours). Private lesson was great for my sons but expensive - almost $800 for 4 hours. An electrical problem disabled most of the lifts one day…A refund wasn’t offered. Lift tickets are very expensive - $135 for half day. Weeks in advance, I Couldn’t even get full day tickets because they were limiting sales due to Covid (?) My sons are novice-level snowboarders and beginner terrain is limited.

Nice mountain. Parking if you are staying in a condo near the resort is atrocious. Food in the resort was decent. Having zero water fountains in the resort is also a huge drag. Come prepared or be prepared to spend time driving each day to Jackson for food and such. The slopes here are definitely a place I'd not bring a first timer or uncomfortable person unless you're prepared to stay down low all day.

Challenging, well maintained mountain resort in Jackson, Wyoming. With tons of trails and lifts, you can get runs in where you never see another person. Unique feature of the resort is the aerial tram that takes skiers to the top at over 10,000 vertical feet. Ski rental, bars, restaurants and hotels right at the base of the mountain so you have everything you could need at your fingertips.

Steep and fun. Be sure to get the free carpool parking to save yourself $20-40. The tram is fun but the run is only good if you can make the first or second tram of the morning. We found getting in line by 830am on a weekday worked. Otherwise the run will be tracked out.
Highly recommend the Rendezvous lodge for lunch. Beautiful views and good food.

Jackson Hole was my first ever experience snowboarding out west. We were so spoiled, and had a huge fresh powder blue bird day on our first day. But aside from that, the conditions have been amazing very time we have gone. Seemingly endless terrain, and fresh new ways to get down from the tram time and time again. Visiting in the summer is also amazing. Hiking, restaurants, playgrounds for the kids, etc. Can't wait to be back!

Great resort even if you don’t catch any powder days. If you get lucky with the snow this mountain will spoil other mountains for you. Long runs and great terrain. Crowds spread out nicely because the mountain is so big. If you are lucky you can even see some moose hanging out at the bottom of the trails. The imposing peak of Grand Teton is a popular mountaineering destination in Wyoming that is surrounded by stunning hiking trails. With its sheer size, impressive height and scenic views, it has long been a favorite of experienced climbers. At 13,775 feet tall, it is the second-highest mountain in the state and can be seen for miles around.
What a magnificent view and serenity of this remarkable place!
I visited Grand Teton National Park for the first time on September/5/2021.
Grand Teton National Park is a popular destination for all ages and other forms of recreation. It offers something for everyone, from canoeing, cycling, hiking, rock climbing, horse back riding, floating in the river, and taking the best pictures as well.
There are a lot of trails to explore, and they are arranged from easy, moderate, to hard.
I didn’t have enough time to do a lot of them, so most of my hikes were focused on the super easy.
The Grand Teton & Teton Range are one of the most beautiful white mountain formations & places that I have been to.
I went for the morning hike by Jenny Lake and it was absolutely captivated by the reflection of Teton Range over the water.
Watching the sunset on the top Teton was unforgettable moments,
and gorgeous views of Jackson Lake, surrounding a range of soaring mountains, and lush green trees. Truly nature at its best.
Just about a postcard or calendar viewpoint everywhere I looked. It's almost impossible not to take beautiful photos, but pictures do not come close to doing justice for this paradise as it is so truly magnificent!!!
This is definitely a must see as it will completely take your breath away.

Would recommend hiring a 4 wheel drive car as there’s about 1.5 miles of off roading/pot holes to drive through.
Park entry is $35 or $80 for a yearly membership card to all national parks.

The mountain and the lake are so peaceful here. Even every day they are all stand in the same place. But every time I watch at them still feel so different. The view of points, from the north, south, western and eastern, let them varied per day. The clouds, sun, sky, animals, weather make them outstanding per day. The cold, hot, warm, chill make them feel so different per day. The sorrow, joy, afraid and anger make them special per day.
Even I want to go home some times, the view makes me stay. Respect the nature and every person I met here. Really enjoy my seasonal employee days here.

One of the best breweries I've ever visited. Incredible selection of craft beers with a great atmosphere and incredible view of the Teton mountains and valley. A must visit if you're in the area.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Grand Teton Brewery Company, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that truly sets this brewery apart. The ambiance was inviting, with a relaxed atmosphere that made me feel right at home.
One of the highlights of my visit was the outstanding customer service provided by the owner, Chris. He went above and beyond to ensure that every customer felt valued and taken care of. Chris's attention to detail and genuine care for his patrons were evident in every interaction. He took the time to chat with me and make sure I was enjoying my time at the brewery, which made me feel like a welcomed guest rather than just a customer.
The selection of beers at Grand Teton Brewery was impressive, and Chris's knowledge of the brewing process and the various flavors showcased his passion for his craft. He was more than willing to share recommendations based on my preferences, which made the tasting experience even more enjoyable.
The care and dedication that Chris puts into running the Grand Teton Brewery Company truly shines through in the quality of the products and the exceptional customer service provided. It's evident that he takes great pride in his establishment and wants every visitor to have a memorable and delightful experience.
Overall, I cannot recommend Grand Teton Brewery enough, and it's all thanks to Chris and his team's exceptional customer service and genuine care for their customers. Whether you're a beer enthusiast or just looking for a friendly and welcoming place to unwind, this brewery should be at the top of your list. Thank you, Chris, for creating such a wonderful space and for making my visit truly unforgettable. I'll definitely be back!

Great beer and check website for food truck days. I had the Teton Ale with a fish sandwich/fries from the food truck. Both excellent. Small inside where you grab your beer of choice then go outside to enjoy the beautiful view since this brewery is about a mile out of the town of Victor, ID towards Jackson, WY.

Small but mighty. Not a bad beer in the lineup. Between buying a sampler pack and visiting the brewery, I tried all current beers. My favorite at the brewery was the cauldron.

Good beer with a great view. Relaxing atmosphere, lots of outdoor seating and lounge chairs. They helped me get some water for my pup. they have rotating food trucks if you happen to get hungry! Cool merch as well.

Great outdoor seating lawn, bring your own food, beers are tasty too. Nothing amazing or unique, but tasty standards and root beer for kids. Views are nice, mountains all around, comfortable seating outdoors, it's nice.

One of the top places to stop in Victor while you are visiting that fine city! Great atmosphere safe distancing out on the lawn and very friendly staff. If you are thirsty and need a cold drink or food they can help you out with that to plenty of options on tap or in the fridge and can also order from the retail store to take some souvenirs home! This location practices very through and safe COVID-19 policies. They require masks and social distancing inside and allow for limited contact curbside pick up if requested. They limit the number of customers at any given time and keep the location very clean. I generally feel quite safe when visiting this place.
Cannot say enough good things! We had a group of 11 beginner riders and it was the absolute best experience. This is a family-owned operation and they were welcoming, patient, and all around great people. It felt like a true, local experience and not some touristy horseback riding. We did the 2 hour trail ride and it's truly something I'll never forget. Insanely beautiful views of different landscapes for the entire ride and great horses (shoutout to Rudy!). Cannot recommend them enough.

They have two cabins for rent on Airbnb, they are perfect! Room to sleep about 6 people and a kitchenette. Right outside are horses and a herd of 300 elk! Perfect place to stay in victor Idaho.

The highlight of our trip! We had the best time on our trail ride! The horses were beautiful and well mannered. Kent, Ashley, and Cassidy were our trail guides. They were all so nice. What a beautiful, scenic, mountain ride. We loved every minute, thank you!

Wonderful! Would highly recommend! Pauline and Kent and their granddaughters were fantastic at helping and accommodating our large group! Each one had a wonderful time. They were knowledgeable and kind and so helpful for those who didn’t know how to ride! The horses were wonderful as well and I can’t say enough good about them!

My husband and I went in their 3 hour morning trail ride and it was wonderful. They are very experienced and patient with novice riders. It was a beautiful ride and wasn’t just simple trail- we went over downed trees and up and down steep slopes. A lot of fun and well worth the price.

Amazing, knowledgeable, and warm staff, wonderful trails with fantastic views. I would highly recommend a ride with this ranch they far exceeded my expectations. Did two rides this week and already planning another, I drove 16 hours for this trip should give some sense of the quality time I shared at this ranch.

During our stay in the Teton Valley we took our two kids(12 and 10) horseback riding here. We've been on a few other horseback rides in the area but Teton Mountain Ranch was far and away the best experience we've had. The family that owns the outfit is very personable - they were great guides and made the experience enjoyable. The trail and views were awesome. We can't recommend this place enough!!!

Wonderful experience with this sweet family! We have been on many trail rides and this was one of the best we have been on. The horses looked healthy and happy. I rode Sage who handled the trails like a boss. The owners and their grand daughters were very knowledgeable, good conversationalists and organized. We will be back to this ranch!

We had a beautiful 2 hour ride today. Everyone was so nice and helpful. We took our 7 year old and he did great on the horse thanks to the ranch owner and other experienced patient riders/ranch family members who guided us. Beautiful views and was an exciting ride. Highly recommend from start to finish.

This was our first time visiting the Teton Valley and the first time being on horses. We had an amazing time! This is a family run operation and they were wonderful. They treated their horses well and gave helpful tips when any of the horses misbehaved. :) Their love for the area was evident and we enjoyed learning more about it. The ride was beautiful and fun. I would highly recommend taking a horse ride with them! We will be back!

The Bagley family was very personable, professional and knowledgeable. We had a fantastic time on the 2 hour ride. Our horses were well trained and well behaved. The area was absolutely beautiful. We rode through valley's, streams and mountainous terrain and enjoyed the splendor of nature. I would absolutely recommend this ride to anyone. Thanks so much to the Bagley's for an amazing ride.

Once in a lifetime experience! They took wonderful care of our group of 11 girls and truly created an incredible experience. HIGHLY recommend!!
Laid-back, all-inclusive fishing resort set on a river offering fly-fishing trips & a fly shop.
We enjoyed a fabulous meal at one of Teton Valley Lodges private events. The staff was extremely friendly and the chef treated us to a phenomenal 3 course dinner. If you get the chance to participate in one of these events I would highly recommend it!

I had the fishing trip of my life last week. My guide, Harrison, was very helpful and new exactly where to find the fish. I caught seven brown trout between 17-20 inches, plus a lot of smaller fish. I can hardly express my excitement.

Great stay with modern room design, large tv and fantastic and friendly host Brenda! Be it skiing at Grand Targhee, hiking around the Tetons or fly-fishing Teton Creek, this is a great place to stay!

The guys fly by my house every night and I would not recommend anyone do busines with these people. They don’t care if you got kids playing in the yard. They drive so fast by our place every night.

We booked a full day guided trip for our honeymoon, and it was amazing! Our guide, David, was such a hard worker and one of the most personable guides I've ever worked with. He had us on fish all day when the weather was not ideal, and made sure my wife and I had a great time. We hope to be back!

Second year coming to TVL and had an amazing time once again. Every aspect of the experience is amazing. Great fishing, great food, great guides, and great accommodation.

Did a day trip on the South Fork of the Snake River. Our guide, Jacob, rowed his face off through high wind and hard, hard rain to get us into fish.
And, boy oh boy, did he ever get us into fish! He rowed us into sneaky spots other guides blasted right by or just barely covered at all. And then he would row us back upstream to hit he same holes over and over until the fish stopped hitting. Some on streamers. Some on dry dropper.
We did this all day boating about 40 fish. I lost count, honestly. More than a few worthy of a photo.
I can't say you'll catch that many. But it won't be for lack of effort from your guide. If all the guides at Teton Valley Lodge work this hard, you are in damn good hands.

Outstanding in every respect. Great accommodations, gourmet dining, the best guides we've ever fished with and a staff that anticipates your needs. Seems spendy but really a good value for the total high level experience. We're average fly fishers and we landed more fish than with any guide service on the Henry's Fork or Madison. Most of the guests we visited with have been coming back here for many years. Our first stay here and we understand why.
That is the Tetons in the background, the views are breathtaking.

The owners of the lodge and guide company are amazing people. Everyone from the owners to the staff are positive, hard working, and just overall make sure that you have a wonderful experience. I did not stay at the lodge but we used the guided fishing outfit for a group of 20. The food we had at the lodge was very good. What a great a great trip! Highly recommend A+++
Thank you, Marcus

Wonderful staff. Amazing food, great views, knowledgeable and friendly guides. You don't need to know how to fly fish. You will catch many beautiful trout of varying types as well as other fun native species. My wife had never fly fished in her life and really enjoyed herself over three nights and two days at the lodge. The cabins are large and comfortable. Water pressure was great haha. There are cute puppies running around. The staff takes care to get to know you. Our first guide helped me improve my dry fly presentation and I was amazed as trout rose to sip my fly on top water. I won't spoil the other wonderful surprises in store. Our second guide taught us casting techniques for a heavier rig on a larger river to target the fatties. My wife out fished me again catching native cutthroats, cutbows, rainbows and browns. We saw moose and baldies and enjoyed over-stuffed lunch boxes on the river at scenic locations. The guides went above and beyond to make the experience the best ever. I would 100% recommend this place to new and experienced anglers.
