Pullman National Historical Park
Historical landmark
Sights & Landmarks
The Pullman National Monument is a historic district in the Far South Side of Chicago, Illinois, that was declared a National Monument in 2015. The district is famous for its Romanesque architecture of its 1880 Clock Tower and Administration Building as well as the role it played in Chicagos labor and civil rights movements.
The new museum adds excellent historical detail to the Pullman National Monument. Whether about race, labor, or cool train stuff there's something for everyone. It's a strange pleasure seeing Park Rangers with their big hats in the city. Be careful with the front entrance there are landscaping ramps that I saw lots of people trip over.
Tomas Lopez-Betanzos — Google review
To my surprise, I happen to drive past this National Landmark as I’ve lived in this neighborhood, my whole childhood although I live in California now. I parked went in on Sunday. I met Ranger Grace and Tommie I’m Photo. He’s very knowledgeable they both were.
Very interesting history right in our community. Please go by and it’s free.
Don’t forget to get a passport stamp
Kymberly Traveler — Google review
There’s not a ton to see here as it is a rather small national park. The museum inside was really nice and the ranger-led tour was excellent! There is a free and easy parking lot onsite and the tour and small museum is also free. You can wander around the grounds and neighborhood but you really can’t spend more than 2 hours here. But overall, it’s a beautifully maintained space definitely worth stopping for!
Dan Reamer — Google review
Came on a tour with @ChicagoMahogany and @6figgadilla, our newest (and probably youngest) historian. Excellent tour (recommended) and the museum was nice and thorough. I enjoyed the displays talking about how the company not only offered positivity to the United States, but also just a bunch of effed up s**t. I was surprised the Pullman Porters exhibit was as big as it is (it's tiny).
ChicagoSeb — Google review
A fascinating story that's told really well. Great visitor center. Loved being able to walk right into the old neighborhoods of Pullman and see the history in the architecture.
Dustin Floyd — Google review
I had previously heard of a Company Town located somewhere in the US. But never knew of it's exact Name or Location. I wanted to visit Pullman National Historical Park to learn more of it's history and the physical grounds.
I am hoping as time moves forward. Additional other attractions like Train Cars built at Pullman or historical things are added to tell more of the story from the past.
I took the walking tour with a National Park Guide. It was fun to know that he lives in one of the restored Factory Homes owned by the Pullman Company from the 1890-1920 period.
Harvey Louie — Google review
This museum really tells the story about Pullman and how much of a loser he was. The building itself is actually super well built and lovely on the inside. You can walk around the grounds, but I don’t know why you would since most of the buildings were burned down or abandoned.
Henry Marks — Google review
I was so impressed with the space and the people. Pretty blown away actually. Everything is done so well and organize and all faces smiling and happy to greet you. The pride of the South Side is in full effect. All of the Park Rangers were friendly and nice. Cannot wait to visit again.
Rachel Gee — Google review
Incredible history being saved here with so many buildings in need of preservation. This place is a jewel in need of funding before time does more damage.
Craig Smith — Google review
This is a nice National Historical Park. I went here and was satisfied with my experience. This site commemorates the Pullman porters, who were black men in the 1800s that worked in Pullman railroads. This site is where the factory that built Pullman railroad cars as well as the planned town around it was. The town is still here, and part of the factory is preserved as the monument visitor center. The visitor center has some nice exhibits about the Pullman porters, Pullman rail cars, and the planned community that was built here. The visitor center is in a small park with some parking, and just across the street from the park is the neighborhood of Pullman that was built around the factory. It has several historic brick homes which are now private residences and an abandoned hotel that is undergoing redevelopment to reopen. This area was designated as a National Monument in 2016, so there is still some work being done on it. The visitor center is in the center of what used to be a rail works building. The north wing is empty and a part of the south wing was demolished, so only a crumbling portion of it is left. I gave this National Historical Park five stars because it has nice exhibits about the Pullman porters, factory, and town of Pullman. Since this is a new site, there’s just a visitor center and a couple of preserved buildings, but it’s still pretty nice. It’s also located right next to a commuter rail line that runs to downtown Chicago.

Free for all visitors, this National Historical Park is an enjoyable visit and an easy walk. This park has a nice and informative indoor section. You might also wish to consider the 1 hour outdoor, guided walking tour into the Pullman neighborhood. Wonderful 2-4 hour visit and very informative!!
Harold Miller — Google review
This is a quick stop to learn mostly about the labor strike and the birth of labor day. It only took about an hour to go through. We wish there had been more about trains here. I think they missed an opportunity to show the production line and the actual workings of the historic site they were preserving. This site was on the edge of tolerable woke for our taste. The facility was clean and well organized. It was approachable even for little kids with short movies they could watch. They had a toy corner for little kids to play while grown ups looked through the museum.
Marcy Kyser — Google review
We expect for this place to get bigger in the future. We also hope that they get a train car added to their museum as it just makes sense. The people who were working were very informative and seemed enthusiastic in what they were doing. Great for a quick and laid back museum trip. The area around is beautiful and would be great for kids to run around and get energy out. Free parking. Free entry. Giant gift shop where any purchases goes toward the National Park Service. They have a little bit of everything and good prices.
Amanda Rose — Google review
The exhibit in the visitor center walks you through the formation of the company and provides you with a detailed explanation of the workers strike that crumpled the company and the prestige that was associated with the Pullman name.
The government found the company had violated labor laws and classified it as a monopoly. A judgment was given to the Pullman company that directed them to sell all their land holding properties. This strike is also one of the many reasons why we have Labor Day as a federal holiday.
For most of us today, we recognize the name Pullman from the hardworking African American that worked as porters on the luxury train line.
The museum is outside of the downtown city limits of Chicago. So if you drive, there is plenty of free parking. Taking a rideshare service? Be prepared to pay a hefty price.
The Munch Travelogue — Google review
I finally made it to visit the Pullman National Historic Park. While I do not believe there will ever be a monument that truly speaks to the Pullman Porters contributions to our community and country. Having the chance to experience it as the Taste of Chicago visited the Pullman neighborhood. I felt the spirit and energy of their history. Therefore, if you find yourself in the Pullman area you should do yourself the favor of stopping by.
Joseph Butler — Google review
This place is amazing. The history and the stories of the people that helped shape this country is so enriching! Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Bring your walking shoes because this is a big area as you can explore the visitor center full of videos and artifacts, to the amazing houses and hotel built for the workers. Be sure to call ahead for tour times to see the restored houses and don't forget to stop at the delicious coffee shop in the managers house for a yummy refueling!!
Argus Brewery is a low-key establishment that produces a variety of beers and offers guided tours on weekends. Their taproom boasts pool tables and a relaxed atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy generous pours of the brewery's offerings, served by an engaging and passionate staff who are knowledgeable about their products. Located in the historic Pullman area, the brewery building has an interesting history worth exploring during the tour.
Great beer; chill atmosphere and a very interesting tour!
Carman PaShawn — Google review
They do a nice tour here. Very friendly. Ample time to sample some views. Historic Pullman area and the brewery building has some nice history.
Jeff Gottdownunder — Google review
Took the tour and it reminded me very much of when three Floyd's first started. Argus Brewery is great and will only get better as they perfect their craft. The tour lets you try all of their beers and the experimental brews not available to the public. They also use all of the processed yeast to make crust for some great pizza they serve you during the tour. The owner is down to earth and a pleasure to talk to. Would highly recommend to others.
Hector S Martinez — Google review
I’ve done several brewery tours and Argus is definitely my favorite one which is why I keep on going back. They always have something new for you to try and they’re always very generous with their beers, they’ll pour as many as you want. They also have the a great crew, they are all very engaging and passionate about their product, you can tell they love working there.
Jorge Matias — Google review
Come for the tour and you won't be disappointed. For a small price you'll get an interesting history of the building, a pleasantly informal yet informative tour of a working brewery, a substantial sampling of some impressive beers, and a souvenir pint glass. I strongly recommend a designated driver or use the convenient Metra line public transport.
Mark Tade — Google review
One of my favorite brewtours, second only to Lakefront in Wisconsin.. they do a great tour, it's like a little family, and my favorite part is they do it backwards, with the unlimited tasting room first and the tour at the end. I'm literally just leaving at the time of this review and a bit drunk, but that's the best part, I'm drunk and made a ton of friends and didn't spend a dime. And if that doesn't sell you then you're not the kind of people who should be here ;D
kaitcbraun — Google review
A friend and I were in town for the weekend and signed up for the Argus Brewery tour. So far above my expectations! You will not be disappointed. Interesting history, really friendly folks l, and absurdly ample supply of great beer!
Jordan S — Google review
I been to many beer tours and this place is different in a very good way. The beer selection is great and you can see that the employees have a passion for their company and product. Highly recommend that you try visiting Argus it is a great experience.

Bar
Comfy watering hole featuring a diverse array of craft & local brews, plus wines in a homey setting.
Drinks, food, and bartenders are always great here. Butter Upon Bacon has some of the best chicken around.
Emma Kennedy — Google review
Bartenders were very nice. Low key place to just chill and have a nice time. Pinball machines were fun too. Definitely would suggest this place if you want to have time with friends. You can hear yourself talk!
Lisa Teresi — Google review
First time I came here, I HATED IT. The bartender was slow and didn’t pay any attention to me or my group and it was just a drag. That was a few years ago. Ended up coming back to give it another shot and it’s literally my favorite bar. That same bartender works there and is perfectly attentive as well as expertly talented. The kitchen rocks, the pinball is a blast, I can’t say enough good things about it. So happy I gave it another go because my girlfriend and I find ourselves here weekly. Keep doing what you’re doing.
Brian Gunaka — Google review
Thanks for being so sweet to my baby over the weekend at the Saint Joseph Day event. I was hesitant to bring him, but he was welcomed with open arms (literally…the bartenders played with and held my baby throughout the night) and happy smiles! He enjoyed a trifecta of pizza, pinball and patio play time and I got to have a beer like old times without feeling judged. Thanks for the hospitality <3
Samantha Litviak — Google review
The service, food, and drinks are unparalleled. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing. One of our favorite places to escape for a few hours.
Katherine Dunneback — Google review
Wow! What an awesome bar. I love EVERYTHING about this place. Great beer selection, great pinball selection all in excellent condition, and a old school CD jukebox with great music selection. Free pinball on Sunday and tournaments twice a month? Hell yeah I’ll be there! Ashley the bartender was very welcoming and friendly. The owners clearly know what they’re doing and the atmosphere they’re created is perfect. Love the movie posters in the bathrooms. Next time we’ll come earlier to try out the food. Kinda bummed this place isn’t closer to my house but might be a good thing otherwise I’d be there every night. My only critique is the audio system/speakers didn’t sound that good which was unfortunate considering how much I loved the jukebox music but that might have something to do with jukebox more than the speaker system? Eagerly looking forward to visiting again and will keep eyes peeled for future events at the bar. 👍👍🍻

The fact that the head of krampus is on the wall next to a sign that says unattended children will be taxidermied and then a buffalo head on the other wall amongst all of the pinball games the great bartender the atmosphere and the odd bike wheel chandelier beer bottle thingamajigger awesome place awesome awesome awesome...

Kendal was absolutely 100% inviting for my first time here. Upon arrival he gave me a hug and welcomed me I complemented his scent He said yeah that’s Friday baby and slid me over a drink I said how do you know what I drink? He said, I just know. Happy Friday!!!
then we had some good eats over at bizarro and son, which is conveniently in the same place.. Chips and salsa were top-notch, followed by his personal take on the Cuban, which was absolutely dazzling so I ordered it twice. Currently waiting on my dessert. he even introduced me to the rest of the back of House crew. Steve was very nice and made me a bracelet out of glass right there on the spot. And then Jason who runs like lightning when an order hits the window to make sure it gets to the table in due time every time, he walked by he laughed at all my jokes and one time he even fixed my shirt collar and for that I thank him.
I’ll be back. Mark my words.

I love this place. If craft beer is your thing, it's worth making a trip here. The bar is located on a one way street in Blue Island that has other bars and restaurants in the area with a real chill vibe.
Met the owner (Dave) and he's super cool. He showed me their patio (which is cigar friendly - yay!) and their large selection of beer and whiskey. For food - they rotate between a couple of vendors, so depending on the day you could have Detroit style pizza (don't knock it until you've tried it) or tacos and other fare. Candidly I dug their thin crust pizza, but I don't think you could go wrong with anything. They do have a couple of TVs, but I spent my time on the patio. Also if you're a pinball fan - they offer a number of machines to choose from which is a nice touch. One more random point of information - they have a sour beer that tastes like Skittles. Give it a shot!
Big fan of Rock Island, and I'll be back for sure.
Justin Proctor — Google review
Great service! Bartenders were super fun, DJ was playing bangers, and just had a great overall atmosphere.
Next time, you'll catch me at the pinball machines until further notice.
Drink pictured is the watermelon habanero thingy, and bartenders pictured are absolute gems 💎
I'll definitely be back soon!
*update* been back a lot, still a fan. Now a regular for pinball on Sundays with Ashley, who is an absolute ✨️ G E M ✨️
Do yourself a favor and go to this place.

My friends and I used hang out here a several times a week; the cocktails were unmatched in the area and the atmosphere was unique. Unfortunately, that all went down hill when the bar wrongly let go of their local favorite bartender Mike.
This was our go to destination for a night-cap or trivia and we were always excited to introduce friends to this fun gem, but it's almost unrecognizable now. The quality of the cocktails has disappeared and the once fun and inviting atmosphere is gone.
I truly wish I could continue hanging out here, but my friends and I can't support a business that doesn't support it's employees. Very sad.

Drive-In movie nights are a blast there is room for up to 12 vehicles to watch your favorite cult classic type movies on the big screen.
The bar area is decorated with Holiday lights and is open for takeout of your favorite drinks to enjoy while watching the movies. There is a walk up window for delicious food that is prepared fresh daily buy the caterer Butter upon Bacon my girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the Chicken Gumbo and the Espresso Hot Coco cake !!
Mike the host was very friendly and accommodating with help parking and setting up the outdoor movies.
The Covid practices are much appreciated social distancing and sanitizing along with plenty of sanitizer available.
My girlfriend and I much needed this evening to deal with the winter blues and the Rock Island Public House definitely helped us with that.
If you are looking for a good evening get away definitely check this place out...!
Navy Pier is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Chicago with rides, restaurants, shops, and more. The pier juts into Lake Michigan and has an endless amount of attractions for all ages. It's a great place to spend a day with family.
Went to Chicago for the day to celebrate my birthday! It was a great time. I can't wait to go back there! So much to see and do. We went on the Skyline Lake Tour; this is reasonably priced per person...this was great and relaxing!
Adrienne Henley — Google review
Ferris wheel was very fun. There were other carnival ride options as well. Great food options too!. Great options for boat tours. We had kids and did a quick 40 min boat tour. Overall, navy pier seems to amaze me everything I go. Been going since I was a kid and was able to share this with my kids for the first time.
Matthew Alvarez — Google review
We arrived as storms were rolling in, so our visit was cut short. It was still a nice area full of dining, shopping, and entertainment. We enjoyed watching the boats along Lake Michigan and taking in stunning views of the city. Finding affordable parking was a challenge.
Bonnie Robinson — Google review
Very nice and chill pier to take a walk or chill around. And there's a very warm court with a lot of options of foods. The restroom is also very clean, the other side is for cars parking and drop-off so I would recommend to walk around. Just go straight and come back straight would be a nicer solution.
孫紹庭(Shao-Ting Sun) — Google review
Great place to enjoy and admire the skyline of Chicago. Navy Pier has many attractions, but the main one is the wheel which lets you observe the city from a high altitude and without any crowds. The stores inside are really good. There are plenty of restaurants of different kinds and different stores. Walking outside makes you feel why Chicago is called the Windy City.
Francisco Cappai — Google review
Gorgeous place! We didn't realize how big it is, and how many shops there are!
We came for the "Light up the Lake Event". It was awesome! Indoor so no worries about weather. The pier is free, but would definitely buy tickets in advance for the lights.
We rode the ferris wheel and it was so much fun! The view is gorgeous!
brittny92 — Google review
We rode some rides and went through the fun house. Tip: one of the mirrors is a door in the mirror maze. It took us forever to get out. Lol We wanted to take a boat cruise but we want to wait for some of the smoke from Canada to go away so we can see the beautiful skyline better. When my girls were small we went to the children's museum and that was really fun. Navy Pier is a must see when visiting Chicago.
Holly Koehler — Google review
Amazing place for amazing fotos, definitely a place that you must visit if you are in Chicago. Do not miss this great chance to take great photos. Also a place full of history. Just take a look to my photos!
I saw they also have really nice restaurants and good boat tours.

I went and visited the Navy Pier. The air was very windy and cold coming of the water. The history behind the pier is very interesting and they have historical markings everywhere to read. They have an indoor “mall” area with shops and eatery’s. At sunset the views looking back at the city skylines are pretty spectacular.
Michael Bass — Google review
Wonderful views of Chicago. I recommend going in the morning or afternoon when it is less crowded. This is a peak place to cut out of work for. You can just sit around and think about the world and how beautiful life is. This is one of the great gems of the city of Chicago. It is a tourist trap but one you don't mind getting trapped in. Look at all the sick pics of my friends.
Jeremiah Anthony — Google review
Beautiful in the day time and even more beautiful at night. We visited on the weekend and it’s a place for everyone to walk, hangout, eat, relax, ride the Ferris wheel and lots to do. It gets packed and busy but fun for sure. I recommend this place.. one of the must visit in Chicago places. Fire work show was awesome as well it was not a disappointment. Was worth staying there till 10pm.
Salim Khodari — Google review
Beautiful pier--day or night. I love how it's connected to inner-city paths and walkways. There's a good variety of restaurants, bars, and shops all along the pier as well as excursions. Great place for a stroll!
Melinda Bianchi — Google review
Navy Pier offers fun attractions for both kids and adults, making it a family-friendly destination. The area is clean, walkable, and home to numerous restaurants. While it can get crowded, booking tickets online in advance helps save time and ensures a smoother experience. The ferris wheel ride is a must-do experience, especially during sunset when the scenery becomes even more captivating.

This was a great time, we started as strangers and ended up as good friends. The ride even though a tourist thing to do was filled with locals. The tour guide we got was speaking very fast, and most of the facts we missed but the scenery and buildings were great. This was a great time. The skyline is something to see .. Enjoy !!!

Really cute place to go! Lots to eat nearby and some beautiful places to shop. I'd recommend the app park spot for parking, $20 ramps near by. They're are usually some ships in the harbor too which are beautiful to see and take a tour of. Always something to see!
Glen Morris — Google review
Fun spot but touristy. You get a good view of the city, especially on the Ferris wheel but it's pricey. There is often live music and always something to do. A good way to spend an afternoon with the family, I think you should go at least once but it's not really how you get to know the city. Definitely gets crowded at peak hours.
Marc Anon — Google review
Navy Pier is really quiet in winter and beautiful, unlike other busy places in Chicago. You can walk peacefully, enjoy great views of the lake and city, and ride the Ferris wheel in a calm atmosphere. The gardens are perfect for relaxing. It's a great spot to see Chicago's beauty without the rush. Definitely worth a visit for a relaxed day.

This place has a lot of various shopping vendors and food restaurants, perfect for families. I was intrigued to meet a Native American vendor who handmade art and jewelry. I bought several items from him and also grabbed some garrets popcorn on my visit. Also stopped by the cartoonist and got a portrait drawn. I had a great time and got to take awesome photos of the beautiful artwork and meet various vendors there who were so kind and welcoming. I will make another trip in the future because Chicago is an amazing city like no other.

Navy Pier was abuzz on a holiday weekend! The new Flyover Chicago is open, the Ferris Wheel in full on summer line mode and there were hundreds of kids everywhere. Great food court with lots of options to pick from! Well worth a walk to the end of the pier!

They also have an art gallery that showcases a wide range of rotating visual arts exhibits featuring local Chicago artists working in different mediums including cartoonists, printmakers, photographers and painters. In addition to this, the center hosts events aimed at supporting specific communities like their recent program for the LGBTQ community.

Had a great experience seeing my first show at The Beverly Center. Saw Little Shop of Horrors comedy / horror / musical and it was so funny and fun. Intimate and great theater. Balcony seats were still great. Production was superb and great quality performers and show. Came during Chicago Theatre Week and took advantage of a special promo for it. I would come back. Thank you Michelle the manager and Mary at box office for being so accommodating

I attended CMAC Delta Chapter's event Jokes for Coats. Great event supporting kids staying warm throughout the winter. Now as for the Beverly Center please turn on some lights it was super dark in the parking lot and walking in. The seats in the auditorium so uncomfortable so those 2 little things could make the place great

My Grand Princess saw her first live performance , Winnie The Pooh. She loved it! An all childrens' performance to introduce her to the arts. She was very engaged, and she wanted to get flowers like the actors were receiving. I had to explain that this was the opening night performance, so the kids were showered with flowers from parents and friends. I will return, and hopefully sign her up for classes as well.

I had the best day exploring the lakefront! I packed a little backpack with snacks & water. Let me say I Got ALL my steps in. 😂 Started at Soldier field and continued down to Lincoln Park Zoo. Plenty of bathrooms along the way. It was a beautiful lake view the entire time! Took in the sail boats, Canadian geese, Buckingham fountain, Navy Pier, beaches, beautiful city views and architecture, then the zoo life. It was a peaceful and relaxing day with gorgeous weather. Wish I would have packed a towel to sit on to enjoy the beach a little easier. They have done a great job along the Riverwalk downtown area it was very clean and nice.

The Buckingham Fountain is a large, three-level rococo fountain located in Grant Park in Chicago. The fountain features a light and water show that is enjoyed by visitors of all ages, and it also has an outstanding background for photography.
Visited in September, 2022. Buckingham Fountain is one of the most magnificent fountains I have ever experienced. It is very huge and beautiful. Visit Grant Park to see this fountain. This is a nice place to meditate or people watch. There is plenty of parking nearby. This is an excellent spot for taking pictures of the Chicago skyline and incorporating it into photos with the fountain.

I’m sure this is very pretty in the summertime, but since it’s off season, the fountain is off. The surrounding area is a huge wide open space, and it makes it very nice to see the skyscrapers and sky line. Even better for the lights at night.

Beautiful fountain in the middle of Grant Park Chicago. No entrance fee! Easy walk from Michigan Ave, We walked to the fountain from the Art institute within 10 minutes. You can also hop on a rental bike or there are many bikers that have carriage rides available for you along the waterfront and fountain areas you can hop on and get a ride if needed. It has a beautiful view of the lakefront on one side and the city buildings as a back drop on the other sides. The fountain is one of the largest fountains in the world donated by Kate Buckingham. The fountain has a beautiful night light show that has 820 lights that are meant to convey soft moonlight. It has three pumps pushing over 14,000 gallons of water per minute through 134 jets. It's a definite must do when in Chicago!

One of the largest fountains in the world (Built-in 1927 as a donation from the family), the feature boasts 133 jets that shoot water as high as 150 feet into the air during 20-minute choreographed displays (take place every hour between 8 AM and 11 PM). The last display of the evening starts at 10:35 PM. After dusk, the water show is accompanied by lights, a must-see if you are in the neighborhood in the evening.
The fountain is the central focal point of Grant Park, Chicago's expansive public space with many attractions and smaller parks like Millennium Park, comparable to Central Park.
Extra point for - the view from this place... one side, Chicago skyline, another side, the path to Michigan River.... so location wise- its top place.
and From Skydeck Chicago- you can understand how strategically this fountain is placed.

The Buckingham Fountain is beautiful! Being from Chicago I have seen this beautiful fountain many times and I totally recommend it! My favorite time to visit the fountain is at night when it’s turned on and it changes colors. I also enjoy walking around.

Absolutely Majestic Fountain , spent 1-2 hrs there looking at its beauty and how as night approaches, lights all lit up , it looks more stunning…. The Chicago Skyscrapers and beautiful skyline make it the most perfect backdrop….. loved it’s openness and huge gardens surrounding it ….and the beautiful Lake Michigan on the other side makes it’s even more beautiful

Beautiful free public place in heart of the city. Sunset view of lake and Chicago skyline lights after dark are just mesmerizing. Fountain puts up a small 20 minutes show every clock of an hr which is definitely fun thing to watch.

Pretty nice area, good views of the city skyline. The fountain was not on yet when we visited because of the low temperatures, the season was starting on May 11th so couldn’t see it on. The public restrooms in the area surprised us because they were pretty clean to be public.

“Love and Marriage, Love and Marriage, go together like a horse and carriage, this I tell ya brother, you can’t have one without the other…”
If you have ever watched the classic show Married with Children, then you have seen Buckingham Fountain. The iconic fountain in the opening credits is located in Chicago, IL and it is quite easily accessible via the park there.
Besides that, not much to say about it. It is a giant fountain in the middle of the park. I went during the day, so maybe they have some cool light shows at night? The area is nice and it was really cool to see an iconic landmark from a TV show in person. If you are in the area, you’ll be near Millennium Park, so check out Cloud Gate while you are in the area. (Edit: Buckingham Fountain is not in Millennium Park, like I previously thought. Whoops!)

Majestic fountain with the majestic Chicago skyline in its backdrop. The best part is it's totally free. This is one of the largest fountains in the world. Can easily spend an hour here taking a leisurely stroll and observing the fountain from all the directions. This should be the starting point of your visit to Chicago.

Buckingham Fountain in Chicago is an iconic landmark that truly captivates visitors with its grandeur and beauty. I recently had the pleasure of visiting this magnificent fountain, and it was an experience I will cherish for a long time.
As you approach the fountain, its sheer size and intricate design immediately command attention. The majestic centerpiece, surrounded by four beautiful sea-horse sculptures, stands as a testament to the city's rich history and dedication to creating stunning public spaces.
The fountain's water display is a sight to behold, especially during its hourly water shows. The cascading water jets, reaching heights of up to 150 feet, are set to the backdrop of the stunning Chicago skyline. The combination of water, light, and music during the evening displays creates a magical atmosphere that leaves visitors in awe.
The surrounding Grant Park provides a perfect setting for leisurely strolls and picnics, offering ample green spaces and beautiful gardens. The fountain serves as a focal point within the park, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists to gather and enjoy the vibrant energy of the city.
What impressed me the most was the attention to detail and the careful preservation of Buckingham Fountain's historical significance. The recent restoration efforts have ensured that this architectural masterpiece remains in pristine condition for generations to come. The dedication to maintaining the fountain's beauty and historical value is evident in every aspect of its upkeep.
During my visit, I noticed that the fountain attracts a diverse crowd, from families with children running gleefully through the water to couples taking romantic strolls by the fountain's edge. The sight of people from different walks of life coming together to appreciate this iconic landmark adds a sense of community and connectedness.
The Buckingham Fountain is not just a beautiful sight but also a symbol of the city's spirit and resilience. It has stood the test of time, enduring decades of changing seasons and weather, yet it continues to be a symbol of Chicago's vibrant culture and enduring charm.
If you're planning a trip to Chicago, Buckingham Fountain is an absolute must-visit destination. Whether you're interested in history, architecture, or simply looking for a peaceful spot to enjoy the city's beauty, this iconic landmark will leave a lasting impression on your heart and mind. Don't forget to catch the hourly water shows, as they are truly a spectacle that shouldn't be missed. Buckingham Fountain is undoubtedly one of the city's most treasured gems, and it will undoubtedly make your visit to Chicago a memorable one.

La verdad que sin más… debe de ser muy bonita cuando funciona pero no me pareció nada del otro mundo tampoco. Al menos las vistas desde allí no están mal pero vaya que para dar un paseo es ideal.

What can I say? Besides its beautiful, classic, & an icon for the City of Chicago ⛲️🌃 I've driven past here a hundred times on Lake Shore Drive, & have always marveled at the beauty of the fountain, but none of that prepared me for the upclose experience. The Buckingham Fountain ⛲️ is something you want to experience in your lifetime. I felt as if I was transported to a past time.. the sheer beauty of it in the daytime is only magnified 10x by the view of it at night. With the iconic Chicago skyline as its backdrop, this truly is a sight that NEEDS to be seen in person. It was absolutely breathtaking.✨️ It's located in Grant Park, which also has a beautiful rose garden🌹 and other photo worthy attractions. It's a must-see, in person, for both visitors and locals like myself. When you live so close to a big city, you tend to take the magnitude of it for granted. You really do have to stop, smell the roses 🌹, & appreciate what an absolute treasure you have 30 minutes away from home ⛲️🌃🤍

This iconic fountain is such a much visit while in Chicago. The location is prime, right in Grant Park and very close to the Millennium Park and west of the shores of the Lake Michigan.
The fountain itself is majestic, one of the largest fountains in the World. It has four sets of Seahorses representing each of the four states of Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana that border Lake Michigan. Just a 360 walk around the fountain can be entertaining as you can catch various angles of the fountain against the different backdrop of the city and the skyline and the Lake, just magnificent!
The water shoots up the fountains so high that on a windy day you could have a nice light shower standing even a good 50 feet away or farther from the edge, depending on the direction of the wind.
There are Some food carts around the fountain and nearby and there are facilities by it. You can spend a good hour if not longer at this location just admiring the fountain and the surroundings.

Buckingham Fountain, an iconic landmark nestled in Grant Park, is a mesmerizing testament to Chicago's grandeur and beauty. Standing as one of the largest fountains in the world, it exudes a timeless elegance and captivates visitors with its grandeur.
The fountain's exquisite design features intricately carved seahorses, mythical sea creatures, and cascading tiers that create a symphony of water and light. Its central jet shoots water up to 150 feet in the air, while the surrounding basins showcase graceful water patterns that dance in harmony with the surrounding landscape.
Buckingham Fountain serves as a focal point for gatherings and celebrations in the city. A TOP tourist attraction in the city.
I highly recommend going at night to see the light & music show plus all the little carts that are lit up with fun colors, driving around the fountain.
With the city lights in the background, over all it’s a great place to walk around or just sit and watch.
Lots of great sitting options. There also is several snack carts set up as well as food trucks.
Bathrooms available too.
As my 1st experience, it was wonderful.

Gateway to Chicago if you come here you must stop here first day long enough to see all the fountain shoot. They shoot even higher every so often. So stay long enough. Make sure you walk around inside to see every aspect of not just the fountain but the background. The skyline the harbor all the above and just enjoy your time

Apparently, it is the largest fountain in the USA. Every hour, the centre spout shoots water more than 30m (100ft) high. Quite worth a look.
The Art Institute of Chicago is a world-renowned art museum with over 3000 pieces spanning 5000 years of artistic innovation. The museum is located in Grant Park on the city's front lawn and features one of the largest school of architecture in the world.
Thia museum was enormous and I am pretty sure a week in this place still wouldn't be enough time. I wish I would have had more time to appreciate each piece but what I did see was amazing in every single way. The museum is beautiful, spacious, and clean. They have attendants in every room to help you find your way. I would absolutely recommend a visit here and be prepared to spend the way and wear comfortable footwear. They have 4 levels and multiple buildings and wings. I typically don't use elevators unless its a high rise but I did today. There are multiple entrances and exits as well.

Forever captivated by the beauty and history encapsulated in the Art Institute. Not a place to visit too often as the gallery is largely full of permanent installations, but there is always some sort of special exhibition/gallery taking place when they are open. Entire building is extremely clean with staff and maps scattered around in order to make your experience more enjoyable. Many famous works that one recognizes from pop culture or past studies are able to be seen here. One of the top art museums in the world and an undeniable staple in Chicago’s history. Do not miss out on viewing everything it has to offer.

What else is left to say about this incredible museum, which houses so much of the world's amazing art and history? Even people who aren't art buffs will find something to appreciate here (or at least something familiar!). My only gripe about my visit was the extremely long line for the coat check. The staff were working hard to move it along, but we still incurred about a thirty minute wait at drop-off and then again at pick-up during our March visit. Try to avoid checking anything if you can, so you can get in and enjoy the museum.

Amazing art museum that is 100% well worth the visit. It holds everything from ancient Egyptian artifacts and mummies to modern American paintings like American Gothic and Nighthawks. You can easily spend more than 3 hours here. I would highly recommend visiting.

Very good museum, almost good at everything! It's just one little thing I'd like to say is that it's too big and the instructions are not very significant ( I understand it's for the better look but I got lost and missed some beautiful moments for 3 times....). I hope they have a better touring guidance or audio guide so that I have some clues of sequels in each exhibition area.
Otherwise wow!!! It's like I've never seen so many beautiful stuff performed at once place in a good way, especially the Japanese area, they tried very hard to make the ambience feeling like the Japanese vibe, super impressive. I would say the way of exhibition is better than the Met in New York City.

It was very cool to visit The Art Institute Of Chicago. I had a great time visiting the different exhibits. It was very crowded when I went. But the overall experience was very warming. I saw some great art and the people were really nice.
George Bolden — Google review
It is so famous that I had expected the exhibit to be as informative and comprehensive as the British Museum or the Metropolitan. That might be too challenging. The display in each section is lack of clear plot/storyline, by which I mean the items are like various bread slices in a basket, correlated but not unable to compose a full piece. I understand this is an art museum, so the explanation notes mainly focus on art perspective. Still, for visitors who might come from different backgrounds, the museum could have done a better job of interpretation.

This is a stunning collection of artwork from so many famous painters and sculptors. The price is a bit high ($32/adult), but children 13 and under are free. The building felt like a maze at times and there were alarms constantly going off as people stood too close to artwork. Despite those minor inconveniences, this remains one of my favorite art museums!

My first time attending as an adult, I had a much bigger appreciation for the arts now versus as a kid. It was absolutely breathtaking, and we didn't get to see everything!! An absolutely amazing art museum and a must see of Chicago. I visited on a Monday morning which had significantly less crowds than the weekends. Entry was quick and easy and I saved on tickets by using the Citipass. Keep in mind tickets for non residents are more expensive. The entry way is beautiful and it's very easy to navigate around the museum due to the signage and provided maps. I especially like that there is a list of must sees on the back of the map for those who only have a short amount of time to visit like I did. My favorite areas were probably the Impressionists and Ancient Egyptian pieces. The layout is easy to navigate and separated in distinct periods that makes sense, nothing detracts from the pieces themselves, and it's overall an amazing experience. I can't wait to revisit with plenty of time to thoroughly explore all the exhibits.
As for accessibility: there were plenty of wide open spaces and wide open doors for wheelchairs/walkers/etc. to navigate through. There are handicap accessible ramps into the buildings as well as elevators to reach the different floors. There's wheelchair rentals near the coat check as well. https://www.artic.edu/visit/accessibility

Incredible experience! If you can, plan to spend hours exploring this beautiful place. The nice experience starts right as you arrive and check in your coat. They are very organized and efficient. Their food ordering process is very efficient, too. The grilled cheese with goat cheese, fig, and arugula is by far the best grilled cheese I have ever tasted. Their exhibits are very diverse and well presented, and there is something for every art preference.

Beautiful building filled with beautiful paintings. I especially enjoyed the Monet collection. I thought I would be taken by the lilies, but wheat piles just took me to another dimension, and i was sober, alright ;). I also liked Van Gogh and other impressionists. The collection of eastern ceramics and wall paintings was also impressive. We stopped by only for few hours, so we didn't see everything, but i definitely plan to come back ;).

This place is immense and worth every penny of the admission fee. See some highlights like American Gothic or that famous Seurat painting at the park you recognize from studying pointillism back in school. But don’t miss some hidden gems: creepy Goya etchings from 1800s Spain, the picture of Dorian Gray from the 1945 film, and a fascinating collection of miniature rooms that look ready for Stuart Little to move in. They also have a very wide range of Picasso styles collected under one roof and the impressionism section truly is a must-see!

My visit to the Chicago Art Institute was an unforgettable journey through art and history. The museum's layout is brilliantly designed, making it easy to navigate through the diverse exhibits without feeling overwhelmed or restricted. Each section flows seamlessly into the next, offering a sense of freedom and exploration, yet with a thoughtful arrangement that guides you naturally through the art.
The curation of the exhibits is exceptional. Each piece is placed with intention, creating a narrative that invites deep reflection and appreciation. The range of artwork, from classical to contemporary, is presented in a way that tells a story, capturing the essence of different eras and styles.
In addition to the exhibits, the Art Institute offers a coat check service and includes a delightful cafe on the upper level, where visitors can enjoy coffee and some light snacks while taking a break from the art.
I wholeheartedly recommend the Chicago Art Institute to anyone visiting the city. It's not just a museum; it's a journey through art that is both enlightening and inspiring. The thoughtful layout and curated exhibits make it accessible for all, from art aficionados to first-time visitors.

Great find.. I'm a Monet guy and found several pieces I have never seen before. The impressionist collection was great overall, with many works from the most famous artists.. quite an amazing collection. Well situated in the downtown, the only amusing things were the staff who couldn't point us to Edward Hopper's the Nighthawks.. I guess they mainly stand round trying to prevent eco terrorists from souping irreplaceable works of art 😄.

So grateful for their free days. I was able to take our senior residents (at a non profit memory care home) to visit twice! Both times staff was super helpful with holding doors, helping us find certain locations, and free wheelchairs at coat check. The crowds were not as great, but staff also came to the rescue when we were trying to go up a ramp and a hoard of students decided that was their route instead of just using the steps. What a great museum, I truly enjoyed my visit! I’m a big fan of Vincent Van Gogh art and I wanted to come here and it finally came true. This is a big museum, so definitely you need time to spend and enjoy it, for me it was only 2 hours and I did a little less than half of the museum, but I definitely started with post-Impressionism art, where Vincent Van Gogh’s paintings were and also Monet’s. I had a great experience and I hope to come back in the future to visit the other exhibitions, I couldn’t see. I bought my tickets in advance through their website, I highly recommend this because it gets packed and you don’t have to make a line to purchase the tickets.

For this particular occasion we went for the Pablo Picasso exhibit. We paid $5 as Illinois residents and it is worth mentioning that the museum is free during weekdays.
The building itself is admirable, very well taken care of inside and outside. All of the exhibits are being looked after as there are hundreds of art pieces on a daily basis.
Whether you’re are someone who is into sculpting, painting, architecture, mosaics, or any other form of art, the Art Institute of Chicago has something to offer.
Definitely looking forward for more exhibitions.

The Bean was in our sights as a "must see" on this trip to Chicago. It did not disappoint. We discovered how beautiful the Millennium and outskirts of the city was as we walked for hours in shear awe. While it was raining, the umbrella kept us semi dry. A must visit park while in the Chicago area. It’s a close walking distance from the iconic River walk and it’s right on the Michigan Avenue, just south of the river.
It’s a quiet park, considering the hustle and bustle of the downtown. The park is very well maintained and has a few entrances, controlled by security throughout. You can easily spend 2-4 hours in the park, depending on what you want to do here. There are also regular events held here at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, one of the premier outdoor Amphitheaters, so that will have to factor in. It’s free entrance to the park itself.
You will see ‘The Bean’ work of public art here. The sculpture, which is officially titled Cloud Gate, is one of the world’s largest permanent outdoor art installations, currently undergoing some construction work. Lake Michigan is just a few minutes away from this park and so is the Chicago River. If you took the hop on hop off bus tour, there is a stop at this park as well.

First visit to Chicago. It was a beautiful fall day and the weather was amazing. The natural foliage and the landscaping were breathtaking. It was so much to see and appreciate. Walking into this park centered within the city is perfection. A must see!

Lovely green Park with lots of community gathering places. The bean plaza is under renovation through March 2024. So can only see through the fence. There is a fantastic outdoor concert space. At the time of year we visited (November) the kinetic water feature between 2 large and changing digital faces had been switched off for the season. It must be great in the summer for kids to cool off and have fun.

Millennium Park is in a very accessible part of Chicago. I parked at the underground garage for only $13 for essentially the whole day, courtesy of SpotHero. The park has incredible views of the Chicago skyline. The surrounding area is super walkable to places like Navy Pier and museums.

Great for sitting and relaxing, great for people watching. Trees are beautiful during the holidays, and there’s a skating rink.
Chicago is a lot of walking. A park to sit and rest with built in entertainment and small cafe vendors was a welcomed find. Plus, the bean. (Currently under construction)

I came here from Washington & the bean was under construction. A local gentleman told me they started in the fall & haven’t done anything with it since. Maybe we just don’t see it 😌. Getting in & out is a hassle, I understand why if there was an event or something however to exit in such long way!

Millennium Park is an absolute gem in the heart of Chicago, offering a delightful escape from the bustling city life. My visit to Millennium Park was nothing short of exceptional, and I would wholeheartedly give it a glowing 5-star review.
From the moment I stepped foot into the park, I was captivated by its beauty and tranquility. The lush greenery, stunning architecture, and vibrant art installations create a perfect harmony that is truly mesmerizing. The iconic Cloud Gate sculpture, affectionately known as "The Bean," is a must-see attraction that never fails to awe visitors with its reflective surface and unique design.
The amenities at Millennium Park are top-notch, with clean restrooms, ample seating areas, and well-maintained walkways. The park is also wheelchair-accessible, making it inclusive for all visitors. The staff members I encountered were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to assist with any questions or needs.
One of the highlights of my visit was catching a live performance at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion. The acoustics were phenomenal, and the atmosphere was electric, creating a memorable experience that I will cherish for years to come.
In conclusion, Millennium Park is a true urban oasis that offers a perfect blend of art, nature, and culture. Whether you're a local resident or a tourist visiting Chicago, a visit to Millennium Park is an absolute must-do. I cannot recommend this park highly enough and believe it deserves every bit of its 5-star rating.

Even though it was closed off it was worth going. The ice-skating was fun. The whole area was very nice and a fun family activity. I will definitely go back! During Christmas time the area looks very pretty with all the lights. The price for the ice-skating is very good! For 1 hour and a half you only got to pay 16 dollars and they even have lockers to secure your stuff.
The ice-skating rink provides a delightful experience for both beginners and seasoned skaters. The well-maintained ice surface ensures smooth gliding, and the facility's vibrant atmosphere adds to the overall enjoyment. Skating sessions are reasonably priced, and the rental equipment is in good condition. The staff is friendly and attentive, offering assistance to those less confident on the ice. The rink's convenient location and ample parking make it accessible, creating a perfect outing for families or friends. While the snack bar offers standard fare, it could benefit from a broader menu. In summary, the ice-skating rink offers a fantastic blend of fun and accessibility, making it a go-to destination for a chilly yet enjoyable experience.
There is plenty of areas picture worthy and the area seemed pretty safe! Please go and enjoy

I am in love with this park. It’s gigantic, it takes a long walk to go through all of it. It has two ice-skating rings, cool art installations, the famous bean of Chicago, parks for kids, and a stage for concerts. Those are the few things we did see at the park, because we did not have enough time to walk through all of it. I had a blast with my family, I highly recommend visiting this famous park in Chicago, where you can even get a view of the lake.

Millennium Park in Chicago is a vibrant oasis offering a delightful blend of art, nature, and culture. The stunning architecture, lush greenery, and iconic Cloud Gate, affectionately known as "The Bean," make it a must-visit destination. While ongoing construction work may briefly obstruct views of The Bean, the overall experience is still enchanting, with the park's diverse attractions and lively atmosphere ensuring a memorable visit.

Exploring Millennium Park during the snowy season was nothing short of magical. The pristine white blanket transformed the park into a winter wonderland. The snow-laden branches framed Cloud Gate in a picturesque scene, offering a unique perspective of "The Bean." The bean is currently closed and under construction. Its visible from distance and outside the barricades.
The Jay Pritzker Pavilion stood gracefully, adorned with a dusting of snow, creating a serene ambiance. Walking through the snowy pathways, the gardens and sculptures took on a different charm, making my visit an enchanting experience that showcased the park's versatility in every season. The park also has a big open ice rink.
The parking is underground and on paid basis.

This is one of the coolest downtown parks in the US IMHO. Of course a lot of people gravitate to the Bean sculpture; While that's cool it's just a fraction. It's a nice open air park that's simply fun to stroll around with the Chicago downtown as a backdrop. There's something here for everyone. We love the numerous free concerts, fountains, and our kid just loves the playground which is amazing. The park itself is an adventure as there's a lot to see with its constant changing theme and architecture. We find it a great starting point to the many sites Chicago has to offer.
A sculpture of a bean located in Millennium Park in Chicago, Cloud Gate is an easily Instagrammable spot that can be photographed from close up or further back with the skyline of Chicago as the backdrop.
This is Chicago's icon.
When you visit Chicago, firstly you should come here to see this art. Each season, this place is crowded because not only tourists but also Chicago's public comes together here. Therefore, be careful against Corona Virus.
Once I saw this bean from away, I thought it is just metal. However, when I came closer, I noticed the geometric shape, curve, transparency, and reflectiveness. That affected me deeply. You can take a different type of your photo thanks to its reflectiveness.
I wish I have a chance to see this place in summer. Unfortunately, I am too away from there.

This is one of the most iconic places to visit while in Chicago! It is amazing how smooth and reflective it is being so enormous! We went on a Monday afternoon in March, but it was still very busy. We were still able to get a few great pictures! Parking is kinda complicated at first, but not too bad. It is all underground, and there are very few signs to tell you where to go (this seems like a very common thread for Chicago). The only signs once you park just say, “Pedestrian Exit”. It is a bit of a walk, so wear good shoes.

An iconic location for Chicago visit. It’s always packed with tourist. You just have to wait your turn to get your spot. Forewarning, just pick the day without rain and pictures will turn out great. I think selfie stick is a must for this location. The park is clean and well maintained by law enforcement. Parking is challenging for sure. Recommended public transportation.

Cloud Gate, I've been calling it 'The Bean' all week.
I would definitely recommend visiting this piece of art when you're in Chicago. My partner and I didn't expect much to be honest. My partner said its just a mirrored bean. But it's actually pretty cool and very large. It's great on a sunny day to see the sun's reflection along with the sky and buildings and makes for some awesome photos.
Head to the Bean you won't be disappointed!

A must visit tourist attraction place. Sit and walk around for 15 minutes, take pictures and selfies. The Bean is free to visit, so you don't need to "sprout" any ticket money . Designed by an Indian architect as per Google search. The structure is big, and you can pass under it as well. Shiny!

As of Thanksgiving 2023, it is still closed to the public due to maintenance. I was told that the people from Chicago weren't thrilled with "the bean" when it was first built, but it has become an icon. I love how you can see the reflection of the city on it. You can still get a good photo if you find a good spot. It is free to the public.

What a fun experience to take the kids to while I was working in Chicago. I always see the BEAN on movies and TV shows, but have never seen it in person! It was fun to take the kids to it and learn about the history of the BEAN!! This place is packed so try to sneak it and get a good picture. Plenty of people around to take a family photo.

The Bean is a pretty neat experience. A giant chrome coffee bean. Some days it is very crowded. The underside of the bean has some very interesting visual reflections. The absolute center has the only flat mirror portion. If you are in Chicago or plan to visit. I suggest checking it out. There is also some old buildings across the street. We liked looking at the buildings as much as the Bean.

An icon of Chicago not to be missed! You've seen it in movies and shows, and it looks just as spectacular and intriguing in person. I recommend being there before 8am to get almost unblocked (by people) views and photos. Every angle is different and unique in its own way, so take your time to take lots of postcard worthy pictures.

The park itself is a lovely oasis amidst the bustling city, offering a serence escape for locals and tourists alike. Cloud Gate, with its distinctive reflective surface, is a fascinating and iconic structure that draws visitors from around the world.
However, it's worth noting that due to its popularity, the park can get quite crowded, especially during peak tourist seasons. This may affect the overall experience, as maneuvering through the crowds can be a challenge. Additionally, visitors should be prepared for a security check before being allowed to enter the area surrounding Cloud Gate.
Despite the crowds, the beauty and uniqueness of Cloud Gate make it a must-visit attraction in Chicago. Its shimmering reflection of the city skyline and interactive nature make it an engaging and memorable experience for all who visit.

I visited in February on a solo birthday trip, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Cloud Gate. It’s how I expected, but honestly much cooler than I thought. Beautiful to watch the sun glint off the sculpture and the ice skating rink is lovely to people-watch. I went on a Saturday and arrived about 11am via the subway — it wasn’t unbearably busy or overcrowded but obviously expect other tourists to be there most of the time. I didn’t have any security check but did see them doing them later in the day. Plenty of restaurants nearby and the park itself is gorgeous. This truly is a can’t-miss!

One of the best architecture pieces in Chicago. As being over the best architecture city in the world this sculpture makes Chicago even more beautiful.
As I was studying in Chicago I visited this place many times and in all different seasons during different times of the day.
Every time it looks more beautiful and every time you visit this place you'd fall in love with this again.
One day I also decided in freezing winter to do small bike trip here and you might see that in one of the photos 😛. If you want to do that that is the only time you can see this place with very few people 😅.
I will surely recommend this place.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Cloud Gate, also known as "The Bean," in Chicago's Millennium Park. As I approached the sculpture, I was immediately struck by its size and reflective surface. The stainless steel surface of the sculpture seemed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding architecture and the sky above.
As I walked around the sculpture, I was amazed by the different perspectives it offered. From one angle, the sculpture appeared to be a giant, shiny mirror, reflecting the surrounding buildings and sky. From another angle, it seemed to be a giant, abstract sculpture, with curves and contours that seemed to defy gravity.
One of the most interesting aspects of the sculpture was the way it interacted with the people around it. Children were running around and playing, while adults were taking photos and admiring the sculpture. It was fascinating to watch the different ways that people were interacting with the sculpture and how it seemed to bring people together in a shared experience.
As I was leaving, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and inspiration. Cloud Gate was not just a sculpture, but a work of art that had the power to evoke emotion and connect people in a unique way. I left feeling grateful for the opportunity to experience such a beautiful and thought-provoking piece of art.

Located in the famous millennium park of Chicago near the downtown area, the cloud gate is one of the most iconic structures to visit. This enormous bean shaped structure is made of steel and extremely smooth and reflective. So reflective that you could see the reflection of your facial features on it. We visited this place way back when, and absolutely loved it. It's a must visit destination when visiting Chicago. And who can forget those stunning views of downtown Chicago.

The Bean (Officially "Cloud Gate") is a large outdoor public work of art, situated in the Millennium Park of downtown Chicago.
Though it's official name is the "Cloud Gate", it is popularly called "The Bean" due to its bean-like shape.
It's exterior is highly polished and smooth, and is like a huge elongated convex metal mirror.
It was built by Anish Kapoor, an India-born British sculptor who is famous for large outdoor art structures. It was unveiled in 2004, and very quickly became a very important tourist attraction in Chicago.
It is 66 feet long, 42 feet wide and 33 feet tall, and weighs 110 tonnes.
The exterior of the Bean is composed of 168 pieces of stainless steel plates which are seamlessly welded together.
The Bean's surfaces are actually metallic mirrors, and they reflect the surroundings clearly. It is really an awesome sight to view the reflections of the sky and clouds and the skyscrapers surrounding it.
People are allowed to touch it, and at all times a huge number of people gather around it to see and photograph their own images as reflected on its surface.
It has become the most well-known iconic art structure of Chicago.

I passed by a few times throughout the year. Winters and Summers are vibrant there. I couldn't tell you what the purpose of this mirrored bean is. And for some reason I never researched it. But its cool to go and look and make your own interpretation of it. Maybe, ask others what their thoughts on it is. There's other thought provoking public art installations to see nearby along water front. Visit during the night and day.

Well, "life ' happened to me. it was under construction for remodeling till Spring. well, you can't get everything. Nevertheless, I did catch a glimpse of it from some distance.
The Bean is a work of public art in the heart of Chicago. It was constructed in Millennium Park between 2004 and 2006 as part of a design competition, created by British-Indian artist Anish Kapoor.
The sculpture, which is officially titled Cloud Gate, is one of the world’s largest permanent outdoor art installations. The monumental work was unveiled in 2004 and quickly became one of Chicago’s most iconic sights.
The Bean’s reflective surface was inspired by liquid mercury. This shiny exterior reflects the people moving around the park, the lights of Michigan Avenue, and the surrounding skyline and green space — perfectly encapsulating the Millennium Park experience. The polished surface also invites visitors to touch the surface and observe their reflection, giving it an interactive quality.
One might wonder how it was built - well here you go- The exterior of The Bean is made entirely of stainless steel (weighs 110 Ton). It was created using computer technology to precisely cut 168 massive steel plates, which were then fitted together and welded shut for a completely seamless finish.
Fact: The Bean receives a power wash each day and a deep cleaning twice each year. During the deep clean, workers use nearly 40 gallons of detergent to bring the metallic surface back to its mirrored state.

They are doing construction h til spring of 2024. If you want a good photo, come after spring. They had it fenced off and the ground around it tore up.
I was able to get some photos through the fence, but there is protective padding on it too. I get needing to update things, but it was a bummer

Didn’t initially think I would enjoy this tourist attraction, but I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. It was really cool to see the reflection of the city skyline in the bean! The reflection was very clear and the concave shape of the bean made the image look like a panoramic photo. Really cool art concept.

Was upset "the bean" was gated off for some sort of construction. Guess I should have read reviews first, but was still nice to show our kids. Purposely stopped by there during the day to see our reflection in it and get a picture, but couldn't even get remotely close to do so. I am sure it is nice when construction is not going on. There is ice skating nearby that looked fun, but we didn't have time to do. As well as some restaurants and food carts/trucks. The amphitheatre is right there and I don't know the exact name for it, but the curvy, metallic bridge. It was frustrating when crossing the bridge at the other end is a park called Maggie Daley park we wanted to check out and we couldn't because there were security guards that randomly decided they were closing the bridge down and we had to go back across it to get back to our car or walk around a really long ways. So we had to turn back to Millennium park. It was only 4pm on a Friday I'm not sure why they closed the bridge. The bridge itself is cool to check out and make the walk to the middle for a good city skyline view. We spent probably about an hour and a half walking around. There is also the famous face water fountain/statue, but the water isn't on in the winter. It's January and they still have some Christmas trees and lights up which makes everything look pretty.
Jaymie Wilde — Google review
They were doing construction, so there was a fence up around it, but you could still see the bean. Attraction is free to see. There is a lot more in that general area so there’s plenty to do. Parking is like anywhere else in the city find a garageand walk to your destination. There are public bathrooms nearby.

Explored this spot in 2009. The sculpture was intriguing and somewhat unique, adding an entertaining vibe to the park. Its popularity drew tourists from all over, eager to capture selfies with it. I checked it out to understand the buzz and share my perspective. Taking photos of the structure is enjoyable, thanks to its mirror-metallic material that offers diverse angles through reflections. It can be challenging to capture a solo reflection with many others attempting the same. The design of the structure also holds a cool allure. If you find yourself bored in Chicago, it's worth a stop for some entertainment.

On a normal day "the bean" or "Cloud Gate" is so great. It is STILL under construction. It is set to become open late spring 2024. It is fenced off still and you can only catch a partial view. As of 4/6/2024 it remains gated and closed off. Still made the best of it and visited this unique sculpture. Seeing the city skyline reflected in the bean was a pretty wonderful sight! The bean's concave shape and strong reflection gave the picture the appearance of a panoramic photograph.

A really cool art instillation in Chicago’s Millennium Park. I was lucky to visit this tourist attraction last July before it was gated off and closed for construction.
When it opens to the public again, be sure to walk around and see your own reflection against the Chicago skyline. Also remember to check out the view from underneath the bean. You’ll be rewarded with a mesmerizing view of weirdly odd circles like you’re looking into another dimension!

They have water taxis and guided tours you can take, but it's just as fun if you decide to go on a walk with one of your friends and just take your time.
The color of the water is so gorgeous and unique due to the plankton and other marine life that make their home here. This is a must see place when you are in Chicago. Actually I will say you need to visit Chicago for this beautiful building! The intricate work all over the building is mind blowing! Beautiful architecture and art is in every corner of the building. First floor painting exhibit is beautiful too!!

Very cool historical landmark with couple of beautiful glass domes. It used to be the public library. And you can take a tour led by local volunteers to learn more about its history. There is not a whole lot to do or see, but I must say that it's still well worth the visit, even if you don't want to take the tour. So if you're in the area, do come here and take a look. I promise you won't regret it.

Their cultural center is free, so if you have time or need to duck out of the rain, it’s a fine place to stop. The building detail is spectacular. There isn’t much to see, but they do have two art galleries you can walk through. Elevators are available.

I love coming here for pictures.
Occasionally they will have expos happening in the different levels.
Definitely a must when you visit Chicago!

WHY VISIT CHICAGO CULTURAL CENTRE :
1) This building has the World's Largest Tiffany stained glass dome. There are two domes inside the building .Both are gorgeous 😍
2) The building is free to visit
3) Saturday 1.30 pm the centre gives a free tour of the building
4) The building is right across the street from Millennium park bean.
5) The building was originally a public library and also had a wing for union veterans. But now this majestic building is open to all Chicago cultural centre.

Stumbled upon this place while visiting! The building alone is beautiful and nice to walk through but they also have free art exhibits to walk through as well! Definitely recommend walking through if you’re around the area.

It was a public library.
There's free culture center building tour led by passionate volunteer or staff every Thursday & Friday 1:15 pm year round.
You could rent this place for events or wedding venue.
It's beautiful and has 100 years history, there's brochure near the entrance.

What a cool and unusual place! I came here with my group, not knowing much about it, but thinking it was a historical center focused on the birth and life of Chicago. Boy was I wrong! This place was more like a living art exhibit where you walk through and become part of the art.
Absolutely GORGEOUS architecture and exquisite interior details, showcasing both modern and experimental art, this place is so unique and interesting, I was flabbergasted that it is FREE. The staff were very friendly and chatty also, and most seemed very inspired by their surroundings.
There's no excuse not to visit if you've never been!

The building has 2 main entrances. You can get lost inside but the staff is everywhere to help you.
The Chicago fire exhibition was a powerful and intense experience. There is so much history and story in just those pictures.
There was also another exhibition (Colescott) that I truly enjoyed although I must say I never heard about the artist before. Full of life, vivid colours and a lot of history too that tell much of his life. Sharing some pics but they do not do justice

Free to enter, but priceless architectural sights to behold. Definitely worth a visit to explore the different parts of the Chicago Cultural Center. Interesting exhibits galore throughout the space not to be missed. Beautiful interior with lots of picture worthy angles. Highly recommend during your stay in Chicago.

A cool place to visit if you have time! The architecture is so pretty with lots of glass mosaics mended on the walls and stairs. The glass dome ceiling is gorgeous too! Not too much to do there but it is super pretty and a good stop to get out of the heat.

Amazing gem in the city. They have exhibits for art display, huge halls for hosting events, learning lab and dance studios. I randomly came upon this building and just wanted to check it out and I was captivated. Would highly recommend for first time visitors, nice and relaxing to step into this among a busy street such as Michigan Ave.

Beautiful place to stop by and have a nice peaceful adventure. The architecture of the Tiffany dome is enchanting and the art exhibits in the 1st floor were touching and beautiful. 10/10 experience and I highly recommend. It's free to go as well.

The Chicago Cultural Center is a captivating haven of culture. The architectural splendor is matched by its diverse exhibits, creating an enriching experience. The fact that admission is free only enhances its allure. A definite must-visit for cultural enthusiasts!

This used to be Chicago's library building but it was converted to an arts and cultural center in 1978. It is also the first free municipal cultural center in USA. It is also used by the Chicago mayer for the reception of world leaders and other high-ranked guests. It's free to enter and it's worth it.

The Chicago Cultural Center was such a treat! We just happened to walk in and get to experience an amazing live music performance! The architecture was breathtaking, the exhibits were captivating. A must-visit for anyone looking to be inspired and enriched! All of this for free!

Did you know there are 2 domes to check out? One is on the backend (towards Randolph street) on the second floor and another one the bigger one is on the 3rd floor from the Washington entrance. The shop on the 1st floor is a smorgasbord or fun, cute and artsy artifacts, do not miss!

The exquisite craftsmanship and artistry by Tiffany in the two stained-glass dome ceilings and sparkling colourful mosaic tiles is magnificent. This former library is an architectural masterpiece. It is also free to visit.
Chicago's primary commercial district is the Magnificent Mile, located in the Loop area. It is a bustling and vibrant part of the city that boasts more than 460 stores, including high-end luxury brands like Burberry, Louis Vuitton and Gucci. The district also features numerous restaurants serving cuisine from all over the world as well as some of Chicago's best hotels. Visitors can explore art galleries such as LIK Fine Art Chicago which showcases works by renowned photographer Peter Lik.
The John Hancock Observatory is located on the 94th floor of the John Hancock Center and offers panoramic views of Chicago and its surroundings. The observation deck features high-powered telescopes that allow visitors to view landmarks such as Willis Tower, Navy Pier, and more from 1,000 feet in the air. In addition to the beautiful sights below, 360 Chicago also provides informative audio commentary and educational displays about notable landmarks around the deck and on the elevator ride up.
What amazing view from all four sides of the building. The price is not cheap, especially if you add the tilt but it will be worth your money for sure. We went up about 45 min before the sunset. This was a perfect time. You can see the city and lake with daylight, watch a beautiful sunset over the city and then see the lights as it gets dark. The sunset reflecting off the lake was absolutely breathtaking. It was not crowded and could find window front views. The line to the elevator was long but moved quickly.
H Caballero — Google review
I think it is one of the best places that you can have elevated view of Chicago. I suggest to go there close to sunset, the view is awesome when it gets dark. It also has a tilt window, which you need to pay extra, but worth it. It also has a part as sky walk, where the don't have windows and you can feed the wind. I really enjoyed visiting this place.

Nice 360 degree views from all around the 95th floor. The restaurant and souvenir shops are good as well. As for the Tilt attraction, it is not up to the hype. It falls short of the expectations. Firstly, it is too short of an experience.. (might be a minute to two at most). Secondly, the actual Tilt is not that much.. It should be at least 60 - 90 degrees to have some adventure and thrill aspect in it. Given the high prices and expensive photos, it doesn't just cut it.

I really liked this place, not only does it have a breathtaking view of all of Chicago and Lake Michigan. But there is also a restaurant where you can have a romantic lunch with your girlfriend. So I recommend everyone to come here for a wonderful romantic lunch or dinner

Wonderful view from the top. The tilt experience worth a lot. We got a small problem with the reservation and Lucia, from the customer service, helped us to solve it, and in general all the staff is very helpful. Maybe the service of the bar can be improved, the cocktails are not good enough for the price of the ticket

Definitely recommend going half an hour before sunset. Tickets around that time sold out fast so I'd recommend buying in advance. The line wasn't so bad, it was a 5-10 minutes wait for me when I went on a Thursday evening. lt was so worth it! The sun setting down on the skylien is a magical moment. They have the bar ready if you want to watch the sunset and sip a drink or two.

Absolutely a must-see in Chicago! This tower is pretty amazing. The entrance is pretty cool with all sorts of amazing Chicago facts on the walls. I love how the criss-cross beams that make up the structure are visible on the inside as well. We went on kind of a cloudy day, but even still the view of the city was awesome. Excellent viewing opportunities on each 4 sides of the building. There's even a bar if you want to get something to drink! We did the Tilt which was so fun, and freaky at the same time. I honestly was not expecting to tilt out as far as we did but that made it even more fun! 100% recommend everyone does it. A weird little oddity that was both terrifying and cool at the same time was the amount of spiders that make their up up that high on the building. A lot of the widows are just covered in them, and it's so strange since they're so high up, but was kind of neat. There's a wonderful gift shop with mostly reasonably priced items for your Chicago merchandise needs.

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! For sure a must visit while you are visiting Chicago or a long time resident! The price was very reasonable for the experience you receive! The views were spectacular and a beautiful sight to see. Highly recommend visiting during the evening hours, near sunset and well after and you can just watch the city glow! Bar is well stocked with many drink choices and a variety of beer and liquor to choose from! Overall exceptional experience and well worth the wait!

Tickets are cheaper online than at the location.
If you are active military or veteran, you get 10% off at site. Thereby your online or site pricing would be same i.e $90 for two adults (Tilt and View) tickets inclusive of taxes.
The queue wasn’t that bad for the weekend compared to insane wait times at The Edge OR One World Observatory in NYC.
The views are fantastic and experiencing Tilt is worth extra $10.
City Pass doesn’t include Tilt.
Washrooms are easily accessible and clean.

What a great view. You have an amazing view of the lake and the city. With the morning sun shining it's just beautiful. The Tilt experience was very brief. Neat, but brief. We got the whole package that included a drink for the Cloud bar, a tilt experience and admission at an early time so it was a little cheaper. Definitely worth spending some time in.
Amanda Dabb (Taharial) — Google review
It was very nice! Too bad the rooftop bar was under construction, but there was still a "bar area". Definitely download the app to view the history of the different buildings! We went on a Sunday and it was very crowded (I don't like large crowds) BUT there is plenty of space/places to sit/places to take pictures so it didn't feel crowded. Definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience even for a resident!

Spent four days in Chicago from the UK and this was the first place we went. What an amazing modern building that definitely stands out in the Chicago skyline. We went up the building about mid morning. The price to go up and for tilt are pretty reasonable. There weren't any queues as it was a Thursday, so we went straight up. It's amazing how quick the lift is to the 94th floor.
The views are just spectacular! There are digital maps so you can zoom in and out and scroll around so you know what you're looking at.
Tilt was fun. It makes you a bit nervous as you start to tilt out and face down, but it's definitely worth it.
The staff are friendly, welcoming and happy go help.
Definitely worth having a drink at the Cloud Bar while you relax and take in the views.
I would definitely recommend visiting!

This is a neat thing to do, especially for first time Chicago visitors such as ourselves. I had high hopes for this, which is probably part of the reason I was a little disappointed. For $45 a person, it just didn’t live up to the hype. The view is beautiful and it is 360°, However the tilt thing wasn’t all that exciting, and only goes 30°, which means you’re barely tilted over the edge. I know for some people it is scary, but I think it needs to tilt over much more for people such as myself that want something more exciting. it also only lasts for about 20 or 30 seconds. I’m giving it 4 instead of 3 stars because of the beautiful view, clean environment, and plenty of space. All of the staff at the front desk on ground level and much of the staff for the elevators and in the observation deck are fairly inattentive and rude. In fact, the only staff member that I recall that smiled and was friendly and polite was the young girl that took our photo on the 1st floor.
Ares Olympius — Google review
We walked straight in after buying tickets online, but we shouldn't have bothered as there was no queue. The views at the top were amazing, and as it was really quiet, we got a window table to enjoy our drinks while enjoying the view. The building has great views over Lake Michigan and the city surroundings. I had a go on the 'Tilt', but it was a bit disappointing; it was over very quickly and it was definitely a not-very-scary experience. It was not worth the $10. However, the 360 Chicago generally was worth the entry price, and I would definitely recommend it.
Patricia Goldring — Google review
The 360 experience was quite great and expansive, even on a day with limited/no visibility. We saw clear views north of the Lincoln park, the Michigan lake and the navy pier, with cloudy views of the south side with buildings. There are tall chairs, where one can sip and watch the cars go by with views of the cement beach and the Lincoln park.
Would advise booking tickets at least 2 days in advance, to prevent paying surge prices. The best time to visit is either in the afternoon, where the John Hancock tower casts long shadows or in the night, where one can watch the tinkling lights of the city. Worth the visit. Looking at the bird's eye view of the Chicago skyline is an amazing experience.

I had a few minutes for lunch and my hotel was close so I decided to get my TILT on at the 360 CHICAGO Experience. This spot provides a very unique perspective of Chicago's skyline. You’re standing within it on the 94th floor of the John Hancock Building. Ascending 1,000 feet above the Magnificent Mile, there are panoramic views for days. And now, we TILT on Chicago's highest thrill ride, offering a unique encounter with Chicago’s skyline as the glass lookout tilts outward. That’s right, you are planking toward the south. Incredible! So glad I did this.

Such a cool place to go. If you are a tourist you definitely have to try it. And if you live in Chicago and you haven’t try this you definitely should.
My husband and I enjoyed the amazing and gorgeous views but also the attention was really nice. Plus you get to have a romantic dinner with great cocktails.

The views were absolutely amazing! I enjoyed the entire experience. I just wish there were better directions given for lines to form when your time slot comes up. The suspense leading up to the tilt was great and once the tilt was completed, I felt like I accomplished a huge fear! The Cloud Bar had great drinks, I just wish there was more seating by the windows when it is crowded
Crystal Sturgis — Google review
Really cool view of Chicago you can see most of the city from here. It is really cool. I totally recommend doing the tilt which is scary and fun. If you do go buy your tickets on their website because that way it will be cheaper
Kevin Mullett (Kev) — Google review
The views are absolutely stunning! There really wasn't any direction on where to go or what to do. We got there at our time and there was a massive line. We decided to get our drinks before waiting, which was smart because it was sooooo hot in there. We were able to finish our drinks before our turn, but we didn't end up doing the Tilt experience until after 9. We were scheduled for 8. The people in front of us were supposed to be after us. It didn't make any sense. It was super crowded and hard to get pictures, which sucked because that's the whole reason for going up there. We still managed to make the best of it, but just know if you schedule a time, it doesn't mean that's when you will actually be doing it.

Take the red line up to the Chicago stop and it is just a few blocks walk. Lots of stores along the way. Had a very good time and I recommend going. If you don't have a lot of time you can knock it out in an hour. Go early.

Had an absolute blast visiting this iconic spot in Chicago! Stumbled upon it after watching this insane video on askLAYLA and knew I had to see it for myself. The 360 views are out of this world – you literally get to see the entire city skyline from a bird's eye perspective. It's a must for anyone wanting to soak up the city vibes from above. Whether it's day or night, the views are stunning, but catching a sunset here is next-level amazing. They've also got a little cafe where you can grab a drink and just sit back to enjoy the scenery. Super chill. If you're planning to visit, try to go on a weekday to skip the bigger crowds. Trust me, it's a whole vibe and a great way to see Chicago in all its glory.

Fantastic views of the city and very informative walk to the elevators. I can't wait to bring my kids up when they come with me to visit.
They lose a star for the cheap material their automatic penny press uses. Not only were some off center but they were discolored (silver) by the time I brought them home(2 days later). They also had a sign selling collection books but the gift shop attendant said they don't sell those and didn't have any idea what I was talking about at first. So avoid that machine.

When sightseeing in Chicago, I think it's best to go to Willis Tower or Chicago 360 (John Hancock Building). It might be a good idea to take in the scenery of Chicago, the birthplace of skyscrapers, as a memory of your trip.
There were three main types of tickets on the day: just climbing the building, climbing the building ➕ TILT (tilting attraction), and climbing the building ➕ TILT ➕ SIP (getting a drink at the bar above).
As of March 2024, the cost of climbing the building➕TILT➕SIP (you can have a drink at the bar above) was $60 per person on Saturday, March 16th.
Even if you don't drink alcohol, they also have non-alcoholic menus and juices. The bar wasn't open at night so it didn't have a great atmosphere, but it was a good place to quench your thirst. TILT doesn't seem to be scary, but when I tried it, I was surprised to find that even though I'm not afraid of heights, I was unable to walk.

Pretty dope place. The elevator was exhilarating, colors were bold, interesting Information blasting the membrane and a quick picture to summon the memories. Kiddie corner to the “Tilt” ride sat A nice bar to relax those nerves that sat literally above the clouds “Cloud Bar” was the name to be exact! I Wasn’t able to ride my nerves were too bad. 😝But it was definitely a nice place to enjoy a drink with the purchase of a ticket. And the vibe was pretty pretty cloud 9🖤 It was also kid friendly may I add.

Back in 2009, I visited this spot and recently had the chance to share my thoughts. The panoramic view of Chicago from the 103rd level is truly remarkable. I skipped the thrill glass ride as it didn't seem too scary. Instead, I opted for a drink at the cloud bar—decent drinks and service, but the highlight is the stunning view. There's also a gift shop for those interested. Overall, a decent spot, especially for newcomers in town.

Located on the 103rd floor of the former Sears Tower, Skydeck Chicago provides visitors with breathtaking views of four states. The unique viewing platform The Ledge lies 4ft outside the building dimensions and offers brave visitors unrivaled views over the city. With museum-quality exhibits and a 60-second ride up to the 103rd floor, Skydeck Chicago is a must-see attraction in Chicago.
Amazing!! It was a great experience. We visited on a Monday afternoon so the wait wasn't long but they make the line interesting with photo opportunities and interesting local facts. We bought the tickets and within an hour we were finished and walking out the lobby doors with an incredible experience and photos. I highly recommend this experience if you have the time. We may have to come back to get the night time experience. Simply amazing!

Absolutely exhilarating though I backed onto the ledge and didn't look down! We went during golden hour though I think the lighting for pictures would've been best at dusk or night. The weather was perfect on Saturday so we could see for miles! The staff was really nice and directed us to the shortest line! I think it's great that there's a time limit for everyone and that you're able to get back into line if you want to take another look or get more pictures! We only waited about 15 minutes each time, and went up on the ledge twice. The gallery preceding the elevator to the 103rd floor was really informative and taught me a lot I didn't already know about Chicago or other tall buildings. The money is totally worth it! Get tickets ahead of time!!!

Everyone should experience Chicago from the top as well as from the river and the neighborhoods. We really enjoyed the exhibit leading to the lookout, too. Some in our group stepped out onto the glass ledge very reluctantly, but all enjoyed mastering the challenge. The views were breathtaking.

So, there I was in Chicago, with just a day left to explore. I had heard about the Skydeck at Willis Tower, but I hadn't really planned on visiting. I thought, why not give it a shot? It's one of those things tourists do, right? And wow, am I glad I went for it. The moment you step onto the Skydeck, it's like the whole city opens up in front of you. You're way up there, on the 103rd floor, and the view is just mind-blowing.
But here's the real showstopper – the glass box, also known as The Ledge. When you step out into it, there's this thrilling, almost surreal feeling. You're suspended in the air, with Chicago's streets and buildings far below. It's exhilarating and a little bit nerve-wracking, but in the best way possible. You're literally standing over the city, with nothing but glass under your feet!
I spent a good amount of time just soaking in the views. You can see for miles – the skyscrapers, Lake Michigan, and on a clear day, even beyond the city limits. It's not just a tourist attraction; it's an experience that gives you a whole new perspective on Chicago. It's a must-do for sure, especially if you want to feel the heartbeat of the city from an entirely unique vantage point.
Honestly, it was the perfect end to my Chicago trip. It’s one of those experiences that makes you appreciate the beauty and scale of a city. So, if you ever find yourself in Chicago with some time to spare, definitely check out the Skydeck. It's a memory you'll cherish long after you're back on solid ground.

When I went here, it wasn't too crowded, so I was able to take plenty of pics. The view is incredible and as you walk through there are plenty of interactive experiences that will go over chicago history. I found that really interesting as I love learning about the history of places I visit. I would definitely recommend going here if you're in the city. Try to go during the work week, it tends to be less crowded.

Had a blast and if you take your time in the history/ picture taking part you can easily spend an hour inside making it worth the price. The view is also beautiful allowing for views one every side of the building and making the price of $39 worth it. Definitely a fun experience to do while in Chicago!

Such a stunning experience. Although for standing in a deck and clicking some stunning photos is a task as they gave a short time so it’s recommended to go with just 2 people at a time so that you can get a decent picture in a short time. Although there are places where you can get a great view to capture yourself. Also sunset is perfect time as you can see both day and night views.

Super attraction! Fortunately it was not very busy. Got to the 103rd floor pretty quickly. Stepping onto the viewing "box" can be a challenge if you are leary of heights. Great views on a clear day. We had a smokey view from the Canadian fires. Highly recommend this place!

Very nice place to check out. The views are incredible! Better management is needed, though, on how much time people can spend taking pictures. The time clock doesn't work for all groups who are there to enjoy the place.

It is one of the very touristy things to do just to say that you've done it. We went in the morning and were able to get through it pretty quick as there weren't that many people there yet. The elevator ride was cool as it lists how tall the building is compared to the others in the world. The view from the top was pretty good as it was a clear day. For the Ledge part, you have 90 seconds to take your photo before being ushered out, so plan accordingly on how you want to take your photos. You can also purchase the pre-set photos that they take for you in the beginning and also at the ledge.

Very nice views, a bit crowded, so the time on the glass ledge is very limited. I liked that there were plenty of food options on the 1st floor and also enjoyed color factory while I waited for my time slot. The store is really well stocked and the prices weren't too bad.

A great experience. Leading up to the elevator ride up, you walk through an immersive experience through the history of Chicago. Once you're up, you have a great view of the city. There was a short line for the ledge. They have workers there to help guide and keep the line moving. They take a professional photo that you can purchase when you leave.

We were able to book tickets for Skydeck through the CityPass app (this was such a great decision). We arrived at the building and followed all the clearly marked signs to the elevator for the Skydeck. The employees were all friendly and helpful in directing us where to go. They give you about 2 minutes to take pictures on the ledge itself. The views from the windows are also great. We booked for about 9:30 in the morning and that seemed to be a good time.

The family came on a business trip with me to Chicago and we stay near the Skyjack Chicago where we could go out on the LEDGE in a glass box. The kids were excited and sacred at the same time to do this! We had a blast and the weather was phenomenal and when I mean that it was cold, but bearable!!! The line was long so make sure you purchase tickets in advance and get what is needed. They only allow you a couple pictures with your phone and then the professional picture! The gift shop was cool as well with plenty of souvenirs.

Great views of the city and beyond, weather permitting. They have fun informational displays to wander through before you go up, and lots of space up top. The glass ledge is a hit with nearly all visitors. Gave me a touch of vertigo. Staff was professional and polite.

I came here during the week at about 1pm on a Monday mid May and there really wasn’t too much of a wait. I purchased our tickets online as we entered the building. Honestly, I had not been to the tower in about 3 years, there was obviously major renovations to the basement where you board the elevator to the Skydeck. ( Which really improved aspects of visiting the Willis tower) There was such cool decor and interactive features you could take photos next to. I particularly enjoyed the walk towards the elevators. You get up there fairly fast, so remember to bring some chewing gum for your ears. But once you’re up there it is absolutely spectacular. My favorite part was veering over the side that faces the lake. It was so beautiful, honestly who knew there were so many different shades of blue out there in Lake Michigan. My kids loved the opposite side that faces the city view because that’s where you get to stand on the glass ledge and see the city below you. You get about 2 full minutes to stand in the glass box they stick you in. You can take your own photos and you also have the option to purchase a photo they snap of you once you’re in there. They sell pretty gifts there but they are very pricy so don’t forget your loot. Absolutely highly recommend stopping at this Major Chicago Gem.

Fun experience. Keep in mind that there may be some waiting times. We used our Chicago pass for entry. If you're with a big group I would recommend getting the express passes.
The route to the observation deck is actually quite fun as it provides some backdrops for photo ops and some educational information on Chicago buildings and culture.
They take green screen pictures shortly after entering the line and upstairs at the ledge they take two professional pictures that you can purchase. downstairs for $31. The friendly staff is also very helpful and happy to take pictures with your own phone. You have about 1 minute to take your own pictures while on the ledge.

Skydeck Chicago is an absolute highlight of any visit to the Windy City! This iconic attraction, located atop the Willis Tower, offers an unparalleled experience that combines breathtaking views, thrilling heights, and a dash of history.
The highlight is undoubtedly The Ledge—a series of glass boxes extending from the skyscraper, allowing visitors to stand suspended 1,353 feet above ground level. The adrenaline rush and panoramic views of the city are truly unforgettable. The knowledgeable staff adds to the experience, providing insights into Chicago's rich architectural history and pointing out notable landmarks.
The journey to the Skydeck is an adventure in itself, with a high-speed elevator whisking you to the top in a matter of seconds. Once there, the 360-degree views of the city skyline and Lake Michigan are simply awe-inspiring. The interactive exhibits on the history and construction of the Willis Tower engage visitors of all ages.
Timing your visit during sunset is highly recommended, as the city transitions from day to night, casting a warm glow over the skyline. The facility is well-maintained, and the crowd management ensures a comfortable experience.
Skydeck Chicago is a must-visit for tourists seeking an exhilarating and panoramic introduction to the city. From the moment you step onto the glass floor, you'll understand why this attraction deserves its five-star rating. An absolute Chicago gem!

It was my first time here. I'm glad I came to visit the & see the view. It's amazing day or night. I didn't like that they rushed us out of the deck for pictures, but it was nice. Apparently, they only give you 2 min to take pics, which is crazy for the price you pay, but either way, it was a great experience. 👌💯

Beautiful view and one of the tallest skyscraper in the US. Enjoyable experience as well with what they call « the ledge ». Highly advise to book this one through the City Pass as you will have access to the priority admission which allows you to skip a few queues.

It was a nice experience. They show you the history of Chicago and all the work the city made to survive.
The view is breathtaking. The Ledge is at the 103 floor. The whole experience lasts about 30 minutes regularly.
I did take my time to explore and read almost everything.

The Sky Deck is a really impressive way to view Chicago! I really enjoyed getting to have a few beers and hanging out 103 stories in the air. I haven't been since they installed "the ledge" but it looks cool. I am not sure that I would wait in line for it though. If you are visiting Chicago, you should absolutely go up to the Skydeck!

A must go places if you are new here.
Take pictures in the ledge, very unique experience. Because I was there alone, I asked the staff taking a lot of pictures for me, they were very patient which I am very grateful for.
Met a group of nice people from Alabama. They even said hi to my parents when we were FaceTime. ✨If you guys are seeing this, hi!

A great experience for my first day in Chicago. Skydeck takes you to the 103rd floor of the Willis Tower and take in the amazing view of the city. Before heading up, you go through a mini museum of what the city has to offer. There is an area to take pictures over the ledge of the building - you have 90 seconds to take photos and if you want to take more you can simply get back in line. A recommendable activity for whoever visits Chicago, especially if you plan on using the Chicago CityPass!
Christine Medina — Google review
If you're visiting The Ledge, buy your tickets for about the time you plan to be there. You don't have to show up exactly at this time, it just helps the exhibit control the chaos. There's an amazing museum after check-in leading to the elevators that take you up, so give yourself 30-45 minutes to enjoy all that as well. The elevator ride is ridiculously quick at under a minute. You can hang out on the Skydeck for as long as you like. Once at The Ledge, you can get back into the queue as many times as you like. They only give you about 90 seconds on The Ledge, a little more for larger groups, so have your poses planned in advance. I suggest visiting well before sunset, as photos can be washed out by the sun behind you. However, just after sunset and before dusk is beautiful. And when it's finally dark out, the city lights are wonderful viewing, but pictures can get lots of glare and reflection off the glass. Once back on the ground, they will sell you photos and digital copies for an expected premium, $35-50.
The Ledge exhibit costs about $35/person, so it can be expensive for larger groups/families, but overall it's a wonderful experience. Research your parking options ahead of time, or expect to pay about $50 on top of the exhibit fees.
On a personal note, the entire staff from building entry, up to the top, and back down on the ground were extremely helpful, friendly, and professional.

Best views of the city! Be sure to get the expedited ticket if you can or else there will be long wait times. The expedited entrance came with the 5-city pass which I also recommend if you’re in Chicago for the weekend!

Amazing place to be with family and friends . They have a lot of photobooths to get you clicked. There are 5 pockets of sky deck with glass floors , you can step up on one on your turn . One party gets 90 secs to enjoy their time

This is well worth every penny. Not only will you get fabulous photos on The Ledge, there’s some incredible history of the city that you get to see while you’re in line. Go at sunset!!! Check the website for times that are busy. We bought tickets on site and walked right in.

The Skydeck Chicago offers a breathtaking experience that is not to be missed. Located in the iconic Willis Tower, it provides unrivaled panoramic views of Chicago's skyline, Lake Michigan, and on clear days, far beyond the city limits. The glass viewing platform, The Ledge, allows visitors to step out into the air 1,353 feet above the ground, offering a thrilling perspective and unmatched photo opportunities. Additionally, the museum on the way to the Skydeck offers an engaging overview of Chicago's rich history and architectural marvels. This attraction provides a unique blend of adrenaline and education, making it a perfect destination for tourists and locals alike.

A big difference from last time I was there. They have information on the walk to the elevator, which was really cool. The elevator ride was faster then before and the sky walk oh wow it was amazing. The view at night was beautiful
Lincoln Park Zoo is a small, free zoo with lions, primates, reptiles, a children's area and an interactive farm exhibit. It is located in the heart of one of Chicago's most popular parks and is accessible to local families. The zoo offers attractions for kids including the marvelous Endangered Species Carousel and Lionel Train Adventure.
I took my son on his first trip to the zoo and he had a blast. Due t his age, he rode in a stroller. The entire place was very easy to navigate and my son was able to get good views of the animals. Given the time of year, there was a fair amount of grounds and exhibit maintenance happening. Although disappointed we couldn't see everything, it's great to see that the city is doing a great job to keep the facilities looking good.

The zoo is free and is in the nice Lincoln Park area. Great views nearby and it is at a relatively convenient location with respect to the main attractions downtown. It is a little over an hour of leisurely walk from the Millennium station. The zoo is not large so there are not many animals to been with. I was able to see some animals but a few were not available. I did not check out the farm, train, food options or the gift shop, so no comment on those.

Spectacular 🤩 it’s free; you can make donations to help keeping the zoo with free admissions…. Beautiful; there are many animals you can see nearby… My family loved it!! A must visit place to go while in town.

Beautiful zoo. Great views of the animals. While some of the animals seemed stressed, most seemed pretty active and happy! I really loved seeing the lions. Free zoo, so you can feel guilt free using Photo Booth and gift shop!

I was surprised to see that there is no entree fee for the zoo, it is completely free. Not very big zoo, but nice, well maintained. Have nice collections of animals. Close to downtown and well connected via bus. Which is really good news for people coming from outside.

Small zoo with it's own charm! I think it's one of the few zoos in the US that has free admission and they do accept donations from visitors. It's a nice place to just walk around and see animals although there were a few areas where I didn't see animals in them. There are also rides for kids and food available in the main court. It's not the biggest zoo you can be in but it's definitely worth the time to see what they have; and the best part about it is that it's free.

I’ve been here twice, and both times have been great. The zoo is free, and it has so many animals. The bathrooms are kept very clean and both times I’ve been, the animals have been out. The animals seem happy and well taken care of. You will need at least 4-6 hours to get through the whole zoo, as it’s massive.

Great zoo. One of the best. Smaller zoo so everything to see is close together. Plan on half a day and entry is free so you can't beat it. Kids had a great time and the animals were accessible and closer than at other zoos. I hadn't been here for 30 years and they've made a lot of great improvements while maintaining the historic charm.

This is a beautiful zoo! Well designed and lots of staff to help with questions. Many of the animals were not out and we assume it was due to the cold.
They also had a special event so we could not see the penguins. But we got to see lions, polar bear, monkeys and painted dogs
The best part is it is free!
Aaron Bright — Google review
I was shocked this is free entertainment. Our local zoo is a $25 per person which is fine to help out the animals but it is quite nice that this zoo is able to keep it free. Go NOW if you haven’t seen the baby lion. One of the cutest things I have seen!! It is a smaller zoo but had a perfect variety of animals. I really enjoyed visiting.

Beautiful urban zoo nestled in Lincoln Park, the animal exhibits are inviting and the foliage gives an added nature touch. This is a free admission zoo. The ponds are something to behold with a variety of birds, turtles and fish. Lions, gorillas and the red panda are just a few of the animals you will be able to see. For the little ones the farmland area is perfect. I do recommend visiting the nearby Lakefront trail and Alfred Caldwell Lily Pond if you have time.

Very nice free zoo! It was a ridiculously hot day, but we still had a blast. A few animals weren't out due to the heat, so we'd love to come back when it's cooler. Good size for younger kids.

Can't express how great this zoo is, and the fact that it is free is amazing. What a gem. Right in the middle of several amazing parks. The grounds are really set up well, the animal enclosures are fantastic, and it's a beautiful garden. If you are ever in the area it is completely worth the visit.

This is such a lovely zoo and it is free. It is a well-endowed zoo that is maintained well and has excellent exhibits as well as some thoughtfully designed spaces.
We went in November and lucked out with exceptional weather. Despite the sunny skies, the zoo was lively and busy, but not overly crowded. It has great spots to eat and sit for a spell after walking so much.
The extras like the carousel and ferris wheel etc. do have a cost but it isn't astronomical.
A word of caution, some things like the cafe and conservatory close at 4pm so not a spot to head to later in the day.
Don't forget to check out the ducks and swans. The reptile house was also a favorite of ours. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

First time going here and it was nice to see. Parking a car costs, but the zoo is free. I took the 22 bus from downtown,I saw the seals, flamingo, gorilla ,lions, zebra. Flowers are blooming, this Saturday was a perfect spring day. Lots of walking, around the pond. I sat and people watched while I had popcorn (sm 7$, lg was 9). There are lots of other food options including bringing your own and sitting in the grass. Gift shop was good, plush toys, t shirts, mugs. There is a kids farm, I saw the goat and cow here.

For being free, this zoo is amazing! I love the wide variety of animals, and how quiet this location is, especially being in the downtown area of Chicago.
We went in February, and while we weren’t able to see all of the animals, the ones that were out and about were so beautiful!

The zoo itself during the day is free. Been that way since like the 1860's. They close at like 1530 hours, 330pm for you civilians, and reopen again at like 1800 hours, 6pm, for the zoo at night 🌙. A festive holiday theme that us $15/person I believe? Either way well worth the price of admission!
Got to see lions 🦁 roaming around on heated rocks 🪨. Red Pandas 🐼, polar bears, and many other animals at night.
The lights are ALL over the park and beautiful. Most of the attractions are open and most of the animals, surprisingly, were out and about. All the stores and shops are open as well, so plenty to spend on in there. Not wildly over priced either which is nice.
If you haven't been I would recommend 👌.

Nice place to visit, just to go exploring. The lion exhibit was beautiful, as was the monkey exhibit. Unfortunately, several animals were not out because of the raining, cold weather. It is also a great location for fall photos! The environment was awesome with various colored leaves, both on and off the trees. This zoo is well worth the visit and admission is always free!

I love this park and try to make sure I get in a visit every time I'm in the area. The animals here are well taken care of, as are the grounds. It's a beautiful little place.
If you're just stopping by for a few hours before traveling, they have lockers that you can rent. They're big enough to hold a suitcase and are only a couple of dollars.
If you're visiting, especially with family and friends, definitely come check out this zoo.

I'm shocked at the wonderful construction of this zoo. It appears to be built for viewers. The shaded areas where wildlife would sleep through humid days are easily accessible to guests. I have never been this close up with wild animals and I'm so grateful this wonderful zoo is preserving wildlife and allowing people to enjoy them. I've been to many zoo but none have astounded me quite like this one. It has a wonderful ratio of cool, indoor areas to sunny outside. I saw workers consistently checking on the animals, clearing their habitats and reconstructing their spaces. The worker vehicles may overshadow some places but we were able to find the same animals in the inside exhibits. I was so amazed with how the animals in this zoo reacted in comparison to other zoos. They seemed free-er and happier. I met one lady in the indoor bird exhibit who answered my childrens' random questions. She was just admiring the birds and providing us with wonderful knowledge of a lifetime. The food there was also great and very decently priced. It cost similarly to fast food and rated better. The chili cheese dogs were dripping with beans, onions and peppers. Workers, animals, flowers, and experience were so wonderful. Thank you for giving us wonderful memories. We are officially drawn to chicago thanks to this zoo. Sincerely, country folk.
Suggestion: We originally went on a warm Sunday and sat in traffic for hours. We could find any parking, including the paid lots. We are from Indians so the traffic is very fresh for us. We went back Monday morning and had a perfect experience. Don't go on a weekend!! We paid 28 for parking at the conservatory. Bring water as the fountains don't operate right now.

Fun little outing with the kids to see the Christmas lights. We tried to go on the free night but Schedules didn't allow it. Wish they had more free nights, 5 star if they changed that. The lights were great and the kids enjoyed it. We spent about an hour walking through and were able to see everything. Drinks and treats were priced out of our budget but others were buying.
Wrigley Field, the second-oldest baseball stadium in the US after Fenway Park, exudes a nostalgic charm with its ivy-clad walls and manual scoreboard. Despite modern additions like a hotel and retail spaces, the historic venue maintains its old-time friendly atmosphere for Chicago Cubs fans. The stadium's renovations have focused on structural improvements and creating club levels and suites.
Just a wonderful ballpark. It's such a classic place to see a game. And everything is grade A+ maintained. Cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen and the friendliest staff all around. It's a warm and welcoming way to cheer the Cubs. Almost losing a star for stupid beer prices. Geez!

We took a tour of historic Wrigley Field while visiting Chicago. Our tour guide, Steve, was interesting, humorous, and friendly. He shared the history of the stadium in an engaging fashion that even non-baseball fans would enjoy. He really is a great story teller!
The tour lasted an hour and a half, and during that time we were able to sit in the bleachers, see the rooftop seats, have our picture taken in front of the iconic outfield ivy, sit in the press box, peek in the broadcast booths, go into the visitor's clubhouse, sit in the dugout, and more! It was well worth our time and money!
Touring Wrigley Field is an item that has long been on my bucket list. I finally got to do it and I was not disappointed. It was a great experience!

It was my second time attending a game at Wrigley. I went with my husband and our son. Nostalgic and one of the best ball parks to watch baseball at, in my opinion. It was a beautiful sunny/cool day when we attended a game last year. Parking was a little hard, but walking up to the stadium and attending a game was magical for any fan of baseball.

Probably one of if not my favorite ballpark of all time. If ballparks were defined as Michelin stars, this would be worth two. Though I will say Wrigley Field was 100x better when there was seating on top of the buildings facing the field. Haven’t been in years but I’d love to go back

I’ve never been into baseball, but the novelty of seeing a game in such an iconic stadium was fun. Kind of a boring game but the excitement of the crowd and sunshine made for a good experience. Give yourself LOTS of travel time for leaving the stadium cause it took forever to get out with traffic.

They don't call it "the friendly confines" for nothing! I went to my first cubs game, and it was nothing short of amazing! The stadium was super clean, I felt safe the entire time, and had incredible seats! If you sit in the upper deck on the third base side of the field during a 1:20 start time game, you will be shaded almost the entire time. Everyone here was so friendly, and the gift shops weren't overly crowded. I can't wait to come back! Go cubs!

One of the most beautiful stadiums I have ever been to, especially since the recent remodel.
We are huge Cubbies Fans so we visit Wrigley quite regularly. Always a great time when we go as long as we can find parking. We have used indoor lots close to the stadium and also rented parking spaces on Spot Hero. If you are going to visit this big city, plan ahead for parking.
Neighborhood around the stadium is also clean and safe. We have parked and walked to the stadium as well and did not ever feel unsafe walking. The train is also an option.
Rooftop seats are not my favorite, they are expensive and you never know what kind of view you will have, the view from some of these seats is blocked by the score board and jumbotron so take this into consideration when planning to watch a game here.
Beautiful and historic stadium in a beautiful city, we'll definitely be back!

It's been a very long time since I've visited. The park was amazing compared to the way I remembered it. The highlight of the visit was us arriving late and my wife asking a guy named Tom if he could show us to our section. I look over and she's talking to Tom Ricketts. (she didn't know who he was) Sure enough he stopped what he was doing and was happy to walk us all the way to the left field bleachers and told us to have a great time and gave my daughter a baseball.
I mean, how cool is that?!?!!
We did have a really great time even though the Cubbies lost.

This is, in my opinion. The best stadium in all of baseball. I still love the feeling of the sun and Baseball at the same time. The train is still the best way to get there. Especially if your coming from the Southside. This was my first game In 3 years. I did not even recognize the place any more. Hotels, big mall like buildings to do everything and of course a ton of bars. Roof top seating still exists but only two or three buildings. Beers are 12 bucks and hot dogs are 9. They have a new plastic bat that is a cup for beer its like 36 bucks. Holds about 3 beers. If your a regular who just goes to the game and slides out the 133, 233, 333 to like 125 or so, is closets to the back entrance right by the train.

My son and I were kind of bummed that the Cubs missed the playoffs this year. If they had made it, there was a good chance that we'd be able to visit Wrigley Field during our trip to the area.
As I was looking for potential playoff tickets that never materialized, we stumbled upon tickets for a 90-minute tour of the stadium. That turned out to be an unbelievable experience! Quite honestly, we had much more fun on this tour than we ever would have had going to a game. We got to see the bleachers, the press box, the dugout, the visitors' locker room, the ivy wall, and learned a ton of history behind this landmark stadium. If you've never been to Wrigley Field or want to learn more about its history, this tour is the way to experience it!

It’s a beautiful stadium. It definitely has all the looks and feels of an old stadium. Lots of bad seats, so be careful. Getting out of the stadium via the subway/El is rough. You’re better off to walk over to lakeshore and catch a bus. The options for food were pretty limited, and they ran out of things early. It’s not in my top 10 ballparks, unfortunately.

This is a wonderful Park. Reminds me of Forbes field in Pittsburgh from whenever I was young. It's amazing how their fans will not leave till the very end, even if they're losing but it's funny cause the Cubs swept the Pirates three games in a row before we went to the game where they played the Orioles. It was a close game. The only thing I would say is there's a lot of construction going on and the traffic, It is terrible, not in the town but the parkway we reserved A parking spot close by and they're all named after Toyotas. I have a Toyota Corolla 😆 I didn't park in that one, I ended up in the Camry parking lot. it is by the Amtrak station I think it's a great thing to do is to go to Wrigley Field and enjoy it, before you go see your daughter in Minnesota 😉

I hiked at Lake Katherine this weekend. It's a Mile around the lake its beginner friendly and they have plenty benches for anyone that needs to sit/rest or take in the view along the trail. I am plus hiker so if your plus and want to start hiking. This is a nice short trail to start out.
I really enjoyed the bodies of water in this hike. They had a lake, an active Channel and a small waterfall. The water fall on the hill made me feel like I went to a different state lol. I do recommend getting some snow cleats or spikes for your boots/shoes if you want to hike in winter when there is snow/ice on the ground. It was pretty icy but my friend made it without them on.
The trail does seem to have houses around, so part of the trail is not all nature.
Trail length: 1 mile
Parking: Yes
Dog friendly: Yes
Bathrooms: Yes, only saw signs that they are in nature center but was close due to an event. Did not see any porta potties. So if you come here go bathroom before coming.
Has designated picnic area: Yes
Strict or relaxed?: Seems strict. Signs show No Grilling, parties, Picnics, fishing, feeding ducks, biking, or going in the water around the lake area. Sign says you can picnic in the designated picnic area only by the parking area. (see image)

It’s so peaceful and beautiful here you can walk for miles around this water. The waterfall is small, but still beautiful. This is a great place for a picnic in the park with family or friends. Great place to walk and get your miles in. Great place to relax and watch the ducks/ swans. Plenty of benches to sit and relax and enjoy the views and the sounds of nature.

This spot along the Cal-Sag Trail is beautiful, relaxing, and educational.
The Lake Katherine Trail has many plants, trees, and benches that have been dedicated to residents of the area who have passed on. The plants and trees are labeled to help nature lovers identify what kind they are. A White Oak, Northern Catalpa, and Norway Spruce are just three of the trees that one will find while walking along the winding trail.
The winding trail follows Lake Katherine, which happens to be a manmade lake. A wide shallow waterfall feeds water to the artificial lake. Kayaking is permitted on the lake. If that is not your thing, you can sit on a lakeside bench and take in the relaxing sights and sounds of this beautiful suburban oasis.

I had a wonderful time. It was absolutely beautiful and very clean. It was nice going to a nature center that wasn't covered in garbage. A wonderful place to take photos and relax by the water. There's plenty of benches and even designated picnic tables.

Lake Katherine is amazing. My wife and I take our son for walks over there. You can walk around and view nature. They have a monarch butterfly exhibit that's open in the spring/summer that kids will absolutely love. You can go canoeing in the lake and watch the swans which would be a perfect date with that special someone if you're into that kind of things also with amazing views of wildlife, wild plants, a community garden hidden away in the back that people plant and grow veggies and plants for the local pantry. They have a small book library you can borrow from but please take one, give one if you can. Lake Katherine has a great experience and I'm sure anyone would love it..

First time playing here was for a company outing on course 1. The course was in excellent condition, tee boxes weren’t destroyed, and greens were nice. The clubhouse is beautiful and the staff was incredibly polite! Shot par and looking forward to playing again one day.

I love these courses. Unfortunately I have have only played Course 1 and 3, but if these two are in such good shape, I can only imagine how much better Ravines and Dubsdread are. Highly recommend trying these Courses. I also had the pleasure of meeting the Owner and Thanked Him for all the Hospitality of the Staff and Crew that made Our Golf outing a hit.

As a Chicago wedding photographer, Cog Hill Country Club has impressed me deeply. Surrounded by lush golf courses, the venue offers an elegant backdrop for weddings. The staff's attention to detail ensures a seamless experience for everyone involved. With versatile indoor and outdoor spaces, including scenic ceremony sites, Cog Hill provides ample opportunities for stunning photos. It's a top recommendation for couples seeking a picturesque and memorable wedding venue.

This review is based off multiple experiences at this Country Club. They have one of the best driving ranges I've seen, 5/5. The staff is mostly courteous and help you when needed, 4/5. My biggest issue is the golf here. For what you get, I'd say the price per round on the courses is too expensive. There are many better options in the area to get your money's worth, 3/5.

I had my wedding at Cog Hill and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Jenny, Robbie and all of the staff were incredibly helpful from the day we booked until the day of the wedding. We received so many compliments from out guests about the food, staff and space. If you want to have a beautiful wedding where everyone will have a good time then you have to book at Cog Hill.

Beautiful and difficult golf course. Very long, the rough was long and greens elevated. One of the hardest I have played

“A Name Becomes a Destination”
I decided to play Cog Hill #4, nicknamed “Dubsdread” (derived from dub, or a poor golfer, should beware) to see if it held up to its reputation. I’m a senior dubber myself but the white tees are 6382 and playable for my game. Overall this is a gorgeous course with plenty of landscape character (ravines, mature woods, elegant bunker complexes, lakes and breathtaking elevated views). It has purposely rough edges like famous links courses, with high grass eyebrows around fairway bunkers, unencumbered natural IL flora in between tee boxes and along fairways, almost like your rich, hirsute uncle forgot to shave his nose and ears. But #4 pulls it off. Despite the warning to dubbers, I found the fairways generous and the million bunkers mostly avoidable. Luke Donald said he doesn’t like the Rees Jones redesign that was done in 2008, including the deeper bunkers. I’m an average sand player and I got out of a 5’, 6’ and 8’ deep bunker on the first try so they’re not unfair. Michelson and Stricker complained about the course after the redesign and that may have contributed to the PGA pulling major tournaments from Cog Hill. But for an average golfer like me, the course is both stunningly beautiful and playable.
I like it’s history too. Course #1 opened on the 4th of July weekend in 1927. The course was carved out of the Des Plaines River Valley property that was shaped by the last Wisconsin glacier 75,000-11,000 years ago. You know, around when golf was invented. 😊 Big rolling hills had to be sculpted by horse-drawn blades back then. The Coghill brothers gave the course their name which stuck after a caddie named Joe Jemsek saved all his money and eventually bought it from the Coghills in 1951. And so the brother’s name became a golf destination. Over the years the Jemsek family (still managing the course today) turned #4 (opened in 1964) into a world class golf destination and home to many National Championships. Tiger Woods still holds the course record (62, 30 strokes less than my score 🙈). There are cool, giant air fans on several greens too left over from an era before the underground SubAir system was added (see pics). I have a little history myself with Dubsdread. In 2005 I was lucky enough to play in the Western Open ProAm and I got to use the same locker room as the pros. As I opened the door a distracted Jim Furyk literally ran into me. As if I’d known him a long time I said “oh, so sorry Jim!” He said “wasn’t your fault.” I said “Go win it all!” And he thanked me, and then he did. Jim Furyk, 2005 Western Open Champion, by way of my good luck bump-in. 🤣
My only criticisms stem from the current construction and redesign of hole #3 which disrupts the front 9. When you book online you’ll see the warning about construction and use of an “alternate hole.” No discount offered for this disruption and I think that is a little slim shady, especially after shelling out $149 to play.
And the greens are almost all elevated complexes completely surrounded by vast squirt-shaped bunkers. Very difficult to get up and down. Especially because the speed was moderate and difficult to get used too. A little more speed would drop more pure putts instead of leaving them just short. Many of the cart paths also need repair.
I highly recommend Cog Hill’s Dubsdread #4 and hope you get an opportunity to experience this beautiful golf destination. You should also try the “Ravines” course #2 for great beauty and a challenge at a much lower cost ($55 including cart). So don’t let the dread in the name scare you off of this great course!

Was visiting town from Scottsdale, Arizona. Heard great things about Coghill and wanted to play since they used to host the BMW championship. Course was amazing. Played a very long one up from the tips(3 handicap). Greens were sanded pretty slow at this time. I imagine the greens are much better most of the year. Fairways and tee boxes were in great condition. Only reason I didn’t leave it Five stars is because I lost my Bushnell golf speaker and nobody turned it up in the pro shop. Please make sure you take all of your items out of the golf court after you play here! Would still play again.

Very pleased with Sam O'Donnell (Cog Hill Master Club Fitter) expertise with fitting my daughter for her new clubs. Cog recently revamped their fitting room, and it looks great. We tried multiple brands (Mizuno, Titleist, and Callaway ), and ultimately ended-up with TaylorMade irons, and woods at a fair price.

Great local spot in Lemont. Friendly staff with a great menu and beer selection. Basically everything is good except the lobster roll is a little dry.

I used to love this place. The last few trips have been unpleasant but today was actually bad. Husband ordered chicken rice soup and it had the most foul flavor and looked so unappealing.I ordered lobster bisque which previous was always good. I was informed after our appetizer was eaten that my soup is still defrosting and would be at least 10 more minutes. I was fine waiting and it was served hot but absolutely not one piece of lobster. Our server was nice hence the extra star.

Ordered 3 item
Draft beer. Served on time
Tater Totchoa. Served cold
Was replaced with Wram without apology
Classic Burger
Served with Cheese only. Forgot Onions/lettus/tomates etc
Server and manger no apologies and gave excuse of Kitchen being busy.
Will never go again
Please note was charged for the beer(ok) and Tater, $20
I still gave $5 tip and walked out hungry and disappointed
Will not go again, horrible service and attitude of staff and manager

Previously, I gave them a decent review. Unfortunately, that's not the case this time. We were seated and waited over 20 minutes before my wife got up and asked if we could get some service. The waitress explained they had forgotten all about us and took our entire order. Another 15 minutes went by, and we didn't even get our drinks. We got up and walked out. My wife explained to the two girls up front why we were leaving, and it was like 2 deer in the headlights. They just didn't care and let us leave without saying anything. That must have been the low IQ shift because all three of those girls were severely incompetent.
Owner,
Calmly explaining why you are leaving and venting to someone are two completely different scenarios. It would also be in the best interest of your patrons to hire individuals with experience, so when these situations happen, they can be assessed and properly handled. Using the excuse, they're young, and it's their first job to sugarcoat poor performance is a perfect example of poor management.

Always a pleasant experience at 3 corners! I’ve been here several times but never got around to reviewing it. I eat gluten free (non-celiac) and there were enough options on the menu for me to choose from (they aren’t labeled, but I can tell by ingredients). They also have gluten free buns & corn tortillas for their tacos. This time I got the honey BBQ chicken salad and it was delicious! They actually chop their chicken and veggies which makes it much easier to eat. The chicken was great and I’ve had a hard time finding good chicken recently. The dressing was awesome.
The only complaint I’d have is that our waitress was not very personable. She didn’t let us know there were holiday drinks, we noticed after we ordered. It was a busy Saturday night so I can understand not being completely on top of it. We had to ask for water too which I thought was usually a standard thing. She didn’t come back to our table often, but that was okay for us. It might not be for others, though. I didn’t like that our table was right next to the door either (it was cold).
My overall experience over the years has been good. The ambiance is usually great, not too noisy. They also have a game room for gambling! I love sitting on their enclosed patio in the spring/summer. Nothing major to complain about 😊

Sever was attentive, food was reasonable in pricing for the setting, and the establishment appeared clean. The server was very sweet to see if they could make me a virgin Margarita and she brought out all the drinks and food quickly as well as was attentive with all of our drinks. I got their 3 Corners salad with Italian dressing and it was very enjoyable. We had cheese curds and the Artichoke dip for appetizers, though a little pricey, everyone loved them.
I'm rating it out of 5 topics:
The restaurant was clean ✔️
The employees were helpful and kind ✔️
The food came out reasonably quickly ✔️
I enjoyed the food ✔️
The price of food correlated to the taste ✔️

Food was very good. Mostly traditional bar (fried curds, nachos, fried pickles, burgers, etc.) and comfort (chicken, pot roast, etc), with some unique items too. But it's all good. Great beer selection too. Peanut butter stout and cinnamon probst were perfect for a holiday vibe. Chill atmosphere with plenty of TVs if a game is on. Definitely going back.

My husband and I were craving lobster rolls and this came up as highly recommended! You can place orders through their website but for some reason it doesn’t allow you to choose the time and automatically defaults to as soon as possible. I placed our order and called the restaurant to have it made it a little later and they gave us no issues. We ordered the Ahi tuna appetizer, the lobster roll, fries and mac & cheese. The Ahi tuna nachos were delicious and were definitely a great surprise! The lobster rolls were also delicious! The bread was perfect it was very flavorful and the fries were made perfectly! The biggest letdown was the mac & cheese. It was very underseasoned, and had basically no taste at all. Definitely needed more cheese. Overall I would definitely give this place another try and will be returning for more lobster rolls in the future!

**Review: Donald E. Stephens Convention Center - Home of "World of Wheels"**
Nestled in the heart of Illinois, the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center stands as a beacon of excellence in event hosting. Recently, I had the pleasure of attending the "World of Wheels" event, and I must say, it was an experience beyond compare.
From the moment I stepped foot inside, I was greeted with a sense of grandeur and excitement. The spacious layout of the convention center provided ample room for enthusiasts and exhibitors alike to explore the dazzling array of classic cars, hot rods, and custom vehicles on display.
The attention to detail in the organization of the event was truly commendable. Every aspect, from the meticulously curated exhibits to the engaging activities and entertainment, was thoughtfully planned to captivate attendees of all ages.
The staff deserves high praise for their professionalism and dedication. Their friendly demeanor and willingness to assist ensured a seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone in attendance.
One of the standout features of the convention center was its state-of-the-art facilities. The well-equipped exhibition halls, modern amenities, and convenient parking made navigating the event effortless, allowing visitors to focus on immersing themselves in the world of automotive excellence.
Overall, my time at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center during the "World of Wheels" event was nothing short of extraordinary. The space is plenty big.
Pick up for Uber and ride shares is easy enough.
They seriously need another Starbucks or coffee vendor in the building. When a show is going on the average (low end) wait time is about an hour.
They also need to bring in more food vendors. They have the typical concession snacks and liquor (which is nice) but for the hair show the POKE bowl people were the only healthy option catering to those with dietary restrictions and needs and the bowl was $17. With water $22 or $21 depending on the day (the same exact order 2 different days and the price changed by a dollar 🤦♀️
The event center should have charging stations and more places to sit.

If you're ever in town check out the RV show. Parking isn't bad it's around $15 you pay near the elevator. When using the parking garage walk towards the elevator once in push the SB (sky bridge) button this will keep you inside and you won't have to deal with traffic. This will also connect you with some of the hotels that are there which is cool. The pics were from the RV show during president weekend timeframe

Our first concert at The Rosemont Theatre was fantastic. It's a great place to see a show. The acoustics are phenomenal, way better than any big arena. We saw Brett Young, Morgan Evans, and Ashley Cooke. We had 3rd row from the stage seats and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Just get there early to park and obviously be prepared to spend some $$ on food and drinks. 2 mixed drinks and 2 hot dogs was $61!!! But that's Illinois for ya. Other than the price of food and drinks everything was expected.

One of the nicer theaters I've been to in Chicago. Only thing that sucks is how hard it is to get to via pubic transport (depending on where you live). But I suppose that's the give and take of it. The concert was amazing...that is what we caught of it. The venue is located where there is very little parking. By the time we got off the 294 ramp, we waited another 30 minutes just to be told the lot was full and we had to park at the mall and walk in the frigid cold. Ugh! Won't go back there anymore! We missed the first 40 minutes of the show. HOWEVER, Mannheim Steamroller was great!!! Front row seats.

Great concert experience right next to O'Hare airport.
It can seat about 4400 people.
If you sit in the corners then you don't have a good view.
But from the middle the view is good even from all the way in the back.
They have elevators that most people don't know about which will take you past all the crowds
The main negative is parking, all the spots close to the theater get full really early and you have to park farther away and pay $25 for parking and it takes like 30 minutes to get out of the parking lot.

First time to this venue, and it was amazing! I loved how the theatre is, even sitting on the balcony, I felt I was able to see the stage very clearly, about to see artists perform easily. Parking was no issue, and the staff was helpful. The venue looked rich.

Attended a Disney concert here with family and we had a great time! We got there early, so parking was a breeze, even if it was $25 to park. We got in right away and security was quick to check our bags, and the person scanning the tickets was helpful in letting us know where our section was. There was a bathroom right across the hall from where we were to be seated and that was very helpful. The person at the door helped us to find our seats, too.
While we very much enjoyed the concert, there was an issue with the aftermath. We wanted to wait for things to die down before leaving, and find a place to eat after, but we were rushed out of the theater! Not only that, but we were rushed out of the building as well! Why? For what reason? Do you all not see the insane chaos of getting out of the parking lot? Was there another event happening later that evening that you needed us all out for? It would take longer for the stage crew to break down the set for another show to happen that evening. Did you all force them to rush too and possibly break the set? We ended up going our separate ways since we couldn’t find a place to eat with what little time we were given to look around before being rushed out. That felt very rude after such a magical preference. Give people time to relax and wait for the rush to end. Some of us don’t like having to fight traffic to get out of a parking lot, mainly in an area like that.
Also, unless you are very hungry or thirsty, DO NOT BUY FOOD OR DRINKS FROM HERE!!! Very expensive!!! I’ve been to the convention center before and only got a water when it was necessary and I paid $5 for that. The price at the theater was $7 and some change. Nope! Not worth it!

Do not come to this venue for concerts unless you are in row 1. This is not a stadium seating venue. They advertise great sightlines regardless of seat location. This is not the case. If you have someone who doesn't stand in front of their seat and decides to stand in the middle of two seats your view will be blocked. You have no where else to move since it's a smaller venue. Promoter of the event nor, ticketmaster refuses to issue a partial refund. The venue won't even respond to my emails or calls either.
Update: they also failed to respond to my BBB follow up as well.

Absolutely beautiful place. The Derek and Hallie Hough dance show was outstanding and a great show as well. I would 100% see his show again, just not at this theater unless some majpr training was done on the security.
The only other item was that there were no non-alcoholic beverages that weren't pop. Those of us unable to drink for any reason from the design driver to medical conditions doesn't mean we don't want to enjoy a nice virgin slushy, too. There were also no straws for the drinks that weren't 4 inches tall. The bigger the straw, the faster people drink, the more they buy. Seems common marketing knowledge to me, but the only straw for a 16oz pop was a 4 inch coffee straw.
Now the hough show invited all guests to take videos and photos of the whole show and the dancers. It was an announcement made for all to hear, including the security staff.
Most of the security ladies i met were kind and helpful, but several were lacking in personality and basic principles.
That being said, several of The security staff needs to learn the concept of "backstage" if there are no signs posted and you are taking a video of a dancer in a public lobby,( where you paid a ticket to be, then there is no expectation of privacy. Nothing said it was a backstage lobby, and we were ushered there as the theater emptied. Never being told it was a backstage restricted area, especially since it was next to the public bathroom. )
Whether the dancer is with family or not. She is a performer. People paid money to see and take photos. Invited by the show to take video and photos of her no less.
So, for security to demand anyone to not take a video because it's her family is nonsense. If we had not simply backed down the way we did, that guard was more than ready to escalate a situation for no reason other than her ego...and then NOT to know what the concept of the 1st amendment and what no expectations of privacy in public actually means is disheartening. She was the topper to a terrible display of security from the beginning. So many of us were joking about it, but how many will actually call or write something, I don't know.
The security coming in did a horrible job wanding us for weapons.
My friend and I and the people sitting around us were commenting that we didn't feel confident or safe that there were no guns inside the theater with the way they were searching for people coming in.
The two guards at our door literally took the metal detection wand from our chest to our thighs so quickly, never asked us to lift our arms, never wanded our backside or ankles. All places a holster could be put. Our bags were not wanded. It was a pathetic attempt at giving a false sense of security. The people around us commented they were experiencing similar search styles. Not at all feeling the security was even trained security or maybe just Temps hired and given shirts.
I would bet if the Hough production company knew their dancers were in danger from the security's lack of training, I would think they would think twice about returning. No successful dancer or actor wants to know their safety, and the safety of their paying guests is taken so Flippidly. 🤷
The bathrooms were okay, but no attendant was there to help when the toliet paper was out or a door was locked but empty. One woman in the stage right bathroom actually laid on the ground to unlock an empty stall to help speed up the line for others. She didn't work there. she just didn't want anyone to miss the show either. Why wasn't there staff inside to help with anything that popped up during the 20-minute intermission?
The theater is beautiful but there is some major room for training improvements.
Raspberry ale was absolutely delish and not overwhelmingly fruity. Super cute venue and great customer service.

We walked in on a Saturday night at 9 pm. The place has a very nice atmosphere. We sat at two seats at the bar. The young bartenders never made eye contact or acknowledged us. It was not overly busy. The bartenders were engaging in a lengthy conversation about an experience that one had at a grocery store. After ten minutes of being ignored, we left. Hire high quality staff.

Great beer and atmosphere with plenty of outdoor seating along the I&M Canal in downtown Lemont. They don’t serve food but there’s options nearby to accommodate. They host personal events in a separate taproom. It’s a great time and fun, chill place to hang out. Highly recommend.

Never been, but I met someone who works here at a music festival, and never got her name. She was wonderful and the best neighbor our group could have asked for. If this place is anything like her, than this place is amazing. We will by at some point.

The beers are awsone here and the atmosphere is even better.
The staff is super friendly and helpful with your beer selection, they sure make you feel like home.
My favorite is the "Lexical Gap IPA" and the barrel aged "personal chain letter" It's scary smooth, but is so good is awesome. I also like the little second loft section with the second bar.
The patio area is also a wonderful place to hang out on a nice sunny day.

Wow, just Wow! Taproom was beautiful. Beer was awesome. The guy hosting trivia had everyone enjoying themselves… but the crown jewel of this place was the bartender, Randy. He was attentive, friendly, and SUPER knowledgeable… He asked our tastes, and recommended the PERFECT beer for each person in our party. If I could leave 10 stars, I would. This was my first experience here, and surely won’t be my last. EXCELLENT beer and EVEN BETTER service!!!!

Great beer. Have come here a few times over the years. Has always been a place to get just that, a good beer.
Today I got more than that. For some reason the current management has decided to begin making religious statements. Why make religious statements? I thought you just want to make good beer? They currently have a sacrilegious display in their brewery belittling and shaming the saints and Blessed Virgin Mary. If you are Catholic, or Eastern Orthodox seriously reconsider coming here until they stop blaspheming our Lord.

Great beer. Really cool building and set-up. The flights are a great deal. They have a great range of beers, from funky experimental fruit infused stuff, to basic please the everyman brews. The bartenders were extremely talkative, friendly, and knowledgeable. It was my first time here, but it definitely won't be the last.
A traditional Gopuram adorns this large complex built in 1977 with a gift shop & cafeteria.

The Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago
Nestled amidst the bustling cityscape of Greater Chicago, the Hindu Temple stands as a beacon of spiritual solace and cultural richness. Visiting this sacred sanctuary was a profound and enlightening experience, leaving an indelible mark on my soul.
Upon entering the temple grounds, I was immediately struck by the architectural grandeur and the serene ambiance that enveloped the premises. The intricate carvings adorning the exterior walls and the majestic spire reaching towards the heavens evoke a sense of awe and reverence.
Inside, the temple's interior is a testament to exquisite craftsmanship and devotion. The vibrant colors, ornate decorations, and the gentle scent of incense create an atmosphere of tranquility and devotion. Each corner of the temple tells a story of Hindu mythology and tradition, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of Hindu culture.
The heart of the temple is undoubtedly the main sanctum, where the divine deities reside. As I stood before the intricately adorned idols, I felt a profound sense of peace and connection. The rhythmic chants of prayers and the melodious strains of bhajans filled the air, transporting me to a realm of spiritual transcendence.
One of the highlights of my visit was participating in the temple's various rituals and ceremonies. Whether it was offering prayers, lighting lamps, or partaking in the sacred prasadam, each ritual deepened my understanding of Hindu customs and traditions, fostering a sense of unity and community among devotees.
Beyond its religious significance, the Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago serves as a cultural hub, hosting various events, festivals, and educational programs throughout the year. These initiatives not only celebrate the diversity of Hindu culture but also promote interfaith dialogue and understanding within the wider community.
In conclusion, my visit to the Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago was an enriching and spiritually uplifting experience. It is not just a place of worship but a sanctuary where one can find solace, inspiration, and a deeper connection to the divine. Whether you are a devout Hindu or simply seeking a moment of reflection, this sacred haven welcomes all with open arms.

This is by far one of the best temples🛕 I've been to. Perhaps because im from canada and we dont have these kinds of temple architecture here.
Inside was very clean, beautiful, and has a calming aurora around it. The architecture is AMAZING. The food was great, and the place of worship is just the place to be. The aarti was powerful in energy. I had a great time here. Definitely will visit again.

The architecture of this place is magnificent. A friend and I visited during one of their special ceremonies, there were lots of people gather outside, eating, praying, chatting and enjoying food. They were very friendly to my us and even shared some of their food. Very delicious!
The temples inside are also very interesting to look at. I was truly fascinated by the architecture of it. Great place to visit!
Important: if you are a tourist or visitor know that you have to wear pants or something that covers your legs. This applies to both men and women. However in case you forget, they have a few pieces of cloth that you can use to cover up. Also don’t forget to take your shoes off once inside.

Wonderful Hindu Temple with many deities. Excellent people who take time to talk to you.
Good book place to pick up great books to read on your own or to read to your children.
Blissful location and great opportunity to do some meditation inside or outside on the temple premises.

Nestled in serene surroundings, this beautiful temple offers a peaceful escape.
The entrance, adorned with flowers, leads you to a soothing fountain and the sweet scent of blooming flowers of all kinds.
Once inside, you will need to remove your shoes, this is out of respect.
You’ll find the deities in various alcoves. It’s very easy to find your way around with all the helpful indicators on the floor and walls.
Don’t forget to try their “Prasadam” meals – delicious offerings from the Gods. A shop offers idols, books, and more at a low cost. They host yoga, meditation, and events; check their website for details. The friendly atmosphere keeps drawing me back.

The Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art is a museum dedicated to displaying fine carvings made from jade, minerals, and gemstones. The museum also features educational exhibits on geology such as gemstones and fossils alongside workshops for children to learn about rock identification and jewelry making. In addition to viewing the collections, visitors can participate in hands-on activities. The online activities include virtual classes on jewelry making and rock identification classes.
We visited as part of a homeschool field trip and it was a wonderful learning experience and environment for the children of various ages to explore geology and exquisite art. Mostly viewing, but several interactive hands-on learning opportunities we available. Highly recommend visiting.

AMAZING museum. Wide variety of sculptures, carvings, mosaics, and art pieces. Some absolutely breathtaking pieces- I've included a few pictures but they don't do them justice. It's really something you must see with your own eyes!
But the art isn't all- there's a section on the science of minerals and the like, including (but not limited to) how crystals are cut and polished, different kinds of fossils, and replicas of famous gemstones.
And the gift shop has tons of real minerals and crystals, and many at an affordable price.
Overall, a must-see if you like gems, art, science, Chinese art history, or shiny trinkets!

Highly recommend checking out Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art. I found about this museum accidentally while checking out the reviews on other matter, and I was very glad I checked this place out! I took friends who was visiting from out of town; this museum was wonderful place to treat guests. Not a huge place and yet, had various selections of unique, intricate works of art to enjoy. Everything was nicely organized throughout the place, displayed balanced art works from different materials, themes, origins, etc. Interactive screens were provided for patrons to engage with learning via fun animated games; selections of short segments of videos (3 to 10 min.) showcasing how to cut stones/gems were very interesting and informative. Shopping at the museum shop was a fun way to end the visit, as the shop itself provided the delightful selections of unique gift items, art works, jewelry at a surprisingly good quality/prices. With courteous staff, only $10 admission, visit to Lizzadro Museum was such a delightful, wonderfully educational experience.

Small, affordable, amazing, and educational museum. A must-see if you're into rocks and gemstones. Lots of carved jade. Wall of cute dioramas with carved stone animals. If they expand the fossil and gemstone exhibits in the back, this place would be even more awesome! Give it about 2 hours to get through the museum. They have a gift shop, too. Some of the items in the shop could really be on display in the museum.

I have been visiting since I was a kid. I love this place even though it's small. The new location is awesome! The workers are awesome. Free parking.
No cafe available here. Handicap accessible. It's not a "whole day" type place. I think the longest we spend was 1 hour, but I promise this place is a treasure.
It's definitely worth a visit each year. They have free days, but please donate and shop on those days! If you love photography, bring your camera.
I now bring my daughter here after YEARS of visiting. She enjoys the gift shop more, I must say. The gift shop does have items for all price brackets.
May this place continue to grow and prosper.

A fantastic and unique museum with a ton of different pieces and information about lapidary arts. It isn't too big, so it won't take long to get through it, but it absolutely is worth checking out and looking at. They have a lot of good information about fossils and other rocks as well.
Historic public garden specializing in lilacs (200+ varieties) & tulips (50+), with a picnic area.
Holiday lights are wonderful! This park is great all year round, but best during the winter. It is free and easy to walk around. During busy times they do have food/hot coco. Also, it is right across from the train station so you can get there easily by rail.

I only got a chance to see the park during late winter hours when christmas lights lit up. It was very stunning and beautiful. I can't imagine how colorful it is going to be during summer days. Right across the street from the Lombard Metra station. Unfortunately, you can't bring your dog to the park.

I’ve discovered you can have too many lights! This is a great place to go, especially if you have kids, to see lots and lots of Christmas lights. The problem is there’s little to physically separate areas, so in many places you see so many lights it’s hard to see what’s right in front of you. Buts it’s free, there’s tons of parking, and I think it’s better than driving around looking at lights on houses.

We had our wedding ceremony here almost 20 years ago, so I may be biased. This park feels like a private garden with an aura of historical significance. I really like knowing the design of the park and its many botanical varieties date back to Reconstruction era Americana. Other than the signature lilacs, my other highlight would be the water feature and grove area.. perfect for an afternoon picnic.
Must visit during Lilac blooming season late April through early May. Also fun to take the family during the holiday season to see the gaudy Christmas light displays.

Went for the Lilac fest...it was beautiful! Lots of lilacs, greenery, benches and tables. I brought food and ate outside while enjoying the atmosphere. DEFINITELY will be back! Also they had public bathrooms...but caution...I was there around 2ish and almost out of toilet paper. Suggestion... if you plan to stay a long time, keep a roll in your car.

Not the parks fault, but dogs are NOT allowed! Unfortunately I figured this out halfway through the lights. 😬 My bad, but I was temporarily an outlaw.
Leave the pup at home & enjoy the lights! Plenty of free public parking in the lot on Park.

I tried to get to this park for several years right as the bloom meter said the lilacs were in full bloom and this year I made it. I signed up on the website to keep me informed of when they were going to be in bloom and I made it! The day was beautiful. My mother, my daughter and I spent time wandering around through all the paths, looking at all the beautiful flowers, taking very beautiful pictures and making lots of great memories. There were lots of families taking professional photos, couples spending time together and people just getting out and enjoying the park as we were which made the atmosphere of the park very inviting and peaceful. The smell of the lilacs and flowers were a great start to Spring. The park would be a beautiful place for a wedding, a small get-together, sitting and reading a book with a cup of tea or just getting some exercise. Overall, we loved the park and will return again hopefully next year.

Went to the Marcus Addison Cinema on a Tuesday and paid $6 per ticket being a magical rewards member. Members pay 20% less at concessions, additionally are eligible for deals such as a large drink and popcorn for around $11. The popcorn is in the second photo and comes with 1 free refill.
The popcorn for the day was good, wasn’t fresh, but still good. Drink station was clean. The seats were very comfortable and reclining, however, my seat particularly had the leather ripped up which was the only one in that theatre.
Concessions line went pretty quick for a 7pm viewing.
Overall great experience, few things that could be improved.

Still enforcing useless masks to enter. You are better off finding a theater that is pro choice and pro freedom. I will never bring my family to this place again. They do not deserve my money. The lady who's sole responsibility is to scan tickets was rude and just unpleasant.

When to see the rise of gru! I purchased my ticket on line. I waited at the ticket booth until I read on my on-line ticket that said no need to stop at the ticket booth go straight to the ticket takers. So I left the line and entered the lobby. Jenny (someone with a control complex) asked me if I had a ticket? I replied yes. She then told me to exit the lobby. Not to get beck in line. Then proceeded to let the people in line behind me go ahead of me. Even thanked the lady behind me for waiting. My pre-ordered drink and popcorn I again waited in line to be told to go to the other side to pick up my order where I waited again. The Restroom definitely needed attention. Also the automated drink machine did not work.

The atmosphere is very good, the staff was friendly and the seats recline with comfort. However, I went to a Tamil film here and it seems nobody was monitoring the individual theater. Once I let them know the sound was too much, they did promptly send someone to fix it. At the middle of the film, they are supposed to pause for Interval. However, they didn't seem to realize Tamil people need Interval break in the middle of the film.
This was a great 3 star experience for me seeing a Tamil film, but I think a few small tweaks on their end could make this a 5 star theater.

The theater is big and spacious and has several options for anyone who wants to eat or drink. They definitely need to do better with the upkeep of the facilities 2 of the 4 seats that I purchased were broken and did not recline. My biggest turn off was when I walked in with my family I was greeted by an individual who I thought was a employee of Marcus Cinemas that was handing me a gift card. At first I was thinking this is great until I heard that I would have to change my gas provider to receive it. I was annoyed in the fact I was out enjoying my time off and I was being solicited within the the theater. Honestly Marcus Cinemas you need to do better especially if you want customers to return. If I want to change my provider of my utility service then I would initiate it on my own. I definitely didn't appreciate that in sense Marcus Cinemas didn't respect time and money by allowing this to happen. People are going there to get away and relax from the normal daily grind. Not to be targeted by solicitors.

I’ve been going to this theater for the last 15 years. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I will no longer go to the theatre anymore. The upkeep of this place went completely downhill. As soon as I entered a theatre room there is a strong smell of mold that’s just unbearable, the seats are always sticky along with the floors, and the bathroom is absolutely . On top of that the staff are always so rude. There just young kids who don’t care about their jobs. I’m not asking for much. I tried giving this theatre few chances by going a few more time but it’s the same thing. It’s so sad. This was such a great theatre that’s near by and always been my first choice to go here with my friends and family

Theater requires tickets and concessions to be purchased in advance. Premises seems clean. Seats are cushioned and very comfortable. Drinks and the Icee machines are available for you to self dispense.
I didn't see anything wrong security wise as the parking lot was adequately lit up and no presence of any sketchy element was to be found. I went on a Thursday evening if that matters. In short a nice facility.

I would not come back to this theater if I had a choice. First, they sold me old, stale/hard pretzel bites. For $7.95, I expected something freshly made. The pretzel bites looked/tasted like they were made a week ago, they were completely inedible.
The popcorn did not taste fresh and had NO salt on it. And many of the seats in the theater were extremely worn with ripped leather. I would choose any other theater in the area over this one (or even drive further out of the way to a different theater). Probably my least favorite movie theater experience I have ever had.

I've been going to Marcus theaters in Addison for nearly a decade with my family. I've never had a horrible experience until today. Eric, the tall person at the front ruined our entire night. Myself and 3 of my party members entered the theater and after scanning our app we informed him the remaining 2 of our 5 party members were going to arrive late but would scan their app at the front when they arrive. Not only did Eric not allow our 3 party members to enter the theater until the last 2 of us arrived 5 minutes later, He scoffed, rolled his eyes, and shook his head at my elderly mother when she asked what was going on while he made her stand at the entrance. Extremely rude and unprofessional. I discussed his attitude later after the movie and he not only refused to apologize, but was very condescending as well. I can't believe the theater I cherished for years would allow someone to treat people like this. I've heard other complaints about this person but ignored them until now. Please address this Marcus theaters. Until then I will not return with my family.

My kids love this place especially the foam pit and if course they like dad to do flips into the pit

Enjoyed this place again today. It was quite busy because of the kids off school but everything was clean and equipment in good shape as usual.

Cool for kids from about 3 - 15. We did a birthday there which was very well organized.

I brought a group of teens from Village Baptist Church in Aurora. We came on a Friday night and had a GREAT time. The facility is clean and has many activities to participate in for the cost of admission. The staff was friendly and looked for ways to serve the clients. We stayed for two hours and could have stayed a lot longer as our kids were having a blast! Though this place was a bit farther for us it was well worth the drive.
ANYWAY'S PUB in Bloomingdale, IL is an upscale yet casual establishment with a trendy ambiance, featuring televised sports and a delightful seasonal patio. The attentive server Caleb provided outstanding assistance, ensuring that every request was promptly attended to. The spinach artichoke dip was consistently remarkable, reflecting the restaurant's commitment to quality. This place has gained loyal regulars like myself and my husband due to its consistently excellent service and delectable menu offerings.
Our server Caleb was absolutely awesome checking on us and getting us anything we wanted. The spinach artichoke dip was amazing as always. My husband and I are regulars and have never had bad service or had anything to eat that we didn't love. The atmosphere is chill and very relaxing. I highly recommend this restaurant. Natasha and Javier are also some of the best waitstaff!

Most of the time, the food is pretty good. They definitely go out of the way to make your birthday special. Friendly staff every time I go with friends. The mixed drinks are amazing, but I wish the coffee was hot. Room temperature coffee is not good.

I ordered take out. The food was absolutely amazing. Still hot, not gross and soggy. Full of flavor and beyond expectations.

Stopped by for the first time. Had the meatloaf sandwich with mashed potatoes and they both were delicious.
My daughter had the Mac n cheese and it was kind of bland but she's 6 so she still ate it.
Other than that the waiter was awesome and the price for 2 meals was very reasonable!
Will be going back.

I wish there were more stars to give! The night before a last minute decision to host a surprise party we were eating at Anyways and I took the chance of speaking to the manager about getting the food catered (less than 24 hours notice). I had really wanted to serve BBQ pork sliders (they only offer a full size sandwich on the regular menu), and Chris the manager mentioned they usually just offer catering trays of pastas. I suggested we just cut them in quarters, and instead of agreeing, he offered to go purchase slider buns (on his day off), spoke to the chef and arranged to make us exactly what I was hoping for. He also made the delicious Garbage Salad for us in a catering pan. The food got rave reviews because it was DELICIOUS! Also, there was a little mix up with someone else picking up the order, and they insisted on delivering it to us, instead of us coming back. I can not say enough about Chris, Nick and the Anyways team. Amazing food and a staff that goes WAY beyond expectations. Thank you so much for making our party a success! We are grateful for your amazing service!

Lunch date with the wife. Service, vibes, and food were all great! I had the meatloaf sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy but the Star were those Italian Beef egg rolls! May just get two plates next time. Perfection!!
Local craft beer options are as nice too!

I heard about this place thru a app I use so we figured to give them a try...
First off extensive menu , lots of choices from burgers to ribs to tacos to salads etc
Long ago I had a Bison burger , saw it on the menu. Figured I'd try one again
My son and I ordered the Anyway Bison burgers excellent topping choices and they were excellent when served except the meat , being a leaner meat we order medium unfortunately they were well done on both thinner patty then I hoped for . So keep that in mind if ordering this burger. Though could of been a one time mistake Im not sure...
My wife ordered nachos everything except tomatoes, menu as described smoothered in beans well they were barely there and located at the bottom, unfortunately served in a bowl very hard to eat this way.
Spoke to the manager as just tell him some constructive criticism to help out ( being a reviewer of restaurants i believe it's my duty to help these businesses to better themselves)
He agreed on both items of concern.
Not expecting anything in return but definitely pleasantly surprised to get a voucher to come back and try again .
Our bill was adjusted also definitely not needed .
We will be back , the menu is too big to pass up a second chance.
Thanks

Honestly the food was a little overpriced. Nothing too crazy but very much your typical bar food. Service was quick. Atmosphere was nice though the particular booth we were at was a little small…and I’m not a big guy. Anyway overall can’t complain. Just a little pricey for what it was.

Our server was awesome. The parking lot was full, but there was tons of parking in the walmart lot. Even though the parking lot was packed, there was plenty of seating. I was so I hungry forgot to take a picture of our meals. But got desert coved.

5 stars may be a little much but I was surprised with the place. I am not a bar food person. But, I'll tell you the good things about the place and you can make your own decision. Service was good and speedy. Dinning room was very roomy and quiet compared to a lot of places. I was able to substitute out the potato for other options!! The broccoli was very fresh, flavorful and cooked perfectly! The coleslaw was very good, a must. And, it seemed like the menu had a good verity. Price of $30-50 includes food, drink with dinner, tax and tip. THERE IS NO WAY THAT THE PEOPLE STATING $10-20 ARE CORRECT. Matter of fact the cheapest sandwiches and salads are $12-15 plus add ons, drink, tip and tax. You do the math! But, prices seemed fair.

Atmosphere: Everything was perfect from the moment we walked in the door. The host staff was friendly, the restaurant was bustling with happy friendly energy, there wasn’t a wait for a table in the (clean) dining room. The dim lights and tvs screamed Midwest sports pub.
Service: Javi was a fantastic server. Friendly and prompt. When we ordered the mousse cake we forgot to ask for coffee, so we asked for it when he brought the cake. (I know that can be difficult and a little annoying, but you couldn’t tell one bit) he got the coffee to the table before we even started on the cake.
Kids conveniences: We brought our 2 toddlers and the kids menu offers some great favorites like grilled cheese and chicken strips.
The high chair was clean and the booth we were sat at was perfect for corralling an active 2 year old who is too big for a highchair.
Food: we had a burger and the beer battered shrimp. Overall everything was delicious.
The shrimp was crispy, the cilantro/lime rice was good (my husband said he’d like more lime on it, but I liked it) we ordered the burger medium and it came probably a little closer to medium rare, but for us, that’s perfect. (Photo) we also had the French fries, Cole slaw, the wings (half bbq for the kids half buffalo), the mousse cake and the coffee. Everything was so good. We literally had no leftovers and did not need boxes.
We will absolutely be back to try some of the other things we saw on the menu.
Thank you for a great family dinner.

The food was delicious. We had a group of 12 people and was served fast. The burgers were tasty and the fries were salted to perfection. Some of the group has soup with their meals and said it was some of the best soup.

We somehow found ourselves in Bloomingdale and decided to take a chance on a well rated pub. And boy were we rewarded! Their ribs are phenomenal, the charbroiled burger is one of the best I've had in the region, and their service is top notch! Best of all, the prices were very reasonable (which is a rarity these days). Highly recommend!

Practically no wait at all to be seated. Our server Dana was very friendly and attentive with our table and got us refills without anyone asking. Pizza and calamari were both delicious, would definitely recommend, especially during lent as they even have a menu for anyone that can't eat meat because of lent.
