Edith was such an amazing tour guide! The tour was informational, fun, and interesting. Overall a well rounded tour given by a well spoken guide! Definitely recommend doing this tour to learn something new about architecture and the history of Charlevoix… and to simply have a nice time!
Bryon Shea — Google review
Highly recommend! Owner Edith Pair was a fabulous guide, having grown up in Charlevoix....so much knowledge about the Young houses and the area in general!
Julie Gossage — Google review
We really enjoyed ourselves. The guide was very informative. Learned a lot about Charlevoix. The houses were cool to look at. Would recommend this for anyone visiting Charlevoix. It only takes 50 minutes.
Margaret Scott — Google review
Amazing tour and experience with Gayle! She had a great sense of humor and grew up in Charlevoix. This showed in her stories and information throughout the tour. We purchased our tickets online, and I'm glad we did as all the time slots were sold out for Saturday.
Jessica Pamperin — Google review
The tour was part of our Mother's Day festivities. Mom and I both had a great time. Edith was wonderful in her knowledge and enthusiasm. She doesn't only tell you about the houses but also about Charlevoix history as well. Would love to do this tour again during the summer when the gardens are in full bloom. Highly recommend!

Informative tour of architecture design of Earl Young. Short tour around Boulder Village, providing history of area. Personally I feel $25 was a bit pricey but still glad I took it. Not too much to do other than shopping in off season in town.
Janet B — Google review
It's very pricey for what you actually get out of this tour. You drive around for 45 minutes in a fancy golf cart and pull to the side a few times to look at the houses. Besides the colors of the bricks or mortar used, there was no other information about the houses given like their age or who/why they were built. The tour guide would occasionally hold up a binder with some pictures in it, but sitting in the last row, it's kind of hard to see a small picture like that. The guy talked more about the library and his coaching days than any of the houses. The part that really upset us was all of the homes in one area that had signs up saying "no tours please". The guide kind of laughed and said we just won't pull over and stop. Yes, these people bought very special and unique homes, but if they are asking for tours to not go by, it gives an icky feeling going through there on a tour. There's no parking directly at the pick up/drop off location. There is a lot next door, but it was completely packed full, and we ended up having to park 4 blocks away. Afterward, they give everyone a coupon code to purchase the virtual tour cheaper so you can see the inside of the houses. I feel like for the amount we pay, if there is a group of 2 tickets or more, they should just give you access to the virtual tour. Our group of 5 spent over $130 for this tour, and you're still trying to nickle and dime us just to show some pictures of the insides of these homes. Not to mention the venmo codes on every seat and on the guides' necks. It's distasteful. Overall, it was a fine tour, but for the lack of actual information, we could have driven around and just looked at these homes ourselves.

Took a tour today with Edith and it was SO fun and informative. We were debating whether to just drive around ourselves or go on a guided tour, and I’m so glad that we decided to take a tour with Mushroom House Tours! We wouldn’t have learned any of the fascinating history without Edith. She was so knowledgeable, personable, and there wasn’t a boring moment on the journey. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Charlevoix! 10/10, can’t wait to go back again in the future!

This was amazing very thorough tour where we saw many unique houses. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and assisted us with detailed information about history of mushroom houses, his builder and apprentice. We have made several stops to do pictures. I would definitely recommend this tour. 👍

At the Mushroom House Tour site, I strolled the gift shop a bit (bought a tshirt ☺️) and then it was time to hop into the open air GEM car for our 50 minute tour of 25 homes created and built by Earl Young. Mr. Young's non-traditional creative intent was for his homes to blend naturally with the lay of the land, using prolific stonework, undulating lines, and focus attention to the smallest detail. The stones all came from farmer's fields in Michigan! I'll let my photos speak for themselves but this is a treasure to witness.

This was such a cool and unique tour! I was very impressed and surprised by Edith’s knowledge and way to keep every member engaged (even if they were sitting facing to the rear!). It is a tour one could take more than once and still not capture all the detail!! Well done Edith, Well Done!! I will join you again should the opportunity ever present itself!!

We LOVED the tour! Edith, our tour guide is the best! She has so much knowledge and has so much extra information, there is not one boring minute! The gem cars are comfy and convenient and Edith even provides a blanket for you, if you forgot to bring one for cold days. This tour is a MUST!
Odawa Casino is a modern destination that provides calm accommodations, as well as a pool and convenient transportation to the casino area. The resort's rooms have a restrained aesthetic to ensure guests can relax in comfort. Additionally, the hotel offers shuttle service at no cost for easy access to the casino grounds.
We stayed overnight in their RV parking area. No hookups, but it was a nice paved area. I believe you can request shuttle service to the casino, but I walked.
It's not a real large casino, but it was nice. There is a smoking room, but you can smell the smoke when you're close to it in the main non-smoking area.
The beer was nice and cold, and not too bad of a price ($3 for a domestic bottle).
They had some table games. I believe they were all either $10 or $25 minimums.
The slots were good to me, so I can't say anything negative about them. But I don't go in there thinking that I'm going to win a lot. After all, it's gambling.
The servers were great. They were friendly and quick. No waiting 20 minutes to get your drink.
I would definitely come back.

Everything was great! The staff at both the hotel and casino were extremely friendly and kind. The casino was clean and sanitized. The breakfast buffet at the hotel is wonderful! One person seemed to be running it all and they did a phenomenal job!! Thank you, Odawa!! We'll be back soon!

My wife Sandy and I spent three days at your beautiful Casino. It was clean and spaced out quite well.
While Sandy played slots, I pretty much played the table games. The dealers that I came in contact with that stood out were Vic, Thomas, Vickie and a Gentleman with a braided pony tail at the Craps table. Each and every one of these staff members were kind, courteous and at times hilarious! These folks are great assets to your Casino!
Thanks to all for providing a great time, we look forward to our next visit soon!

Casino is a mixed bag
THE GOOD
->The casino is very clean and I love how lowkey it is… despite everything the vibe is good
->Decent video poker pay tables
->Sometimes they have $5 3-2 BJ but it’s only one table and it’s usually full so ymmv
->The dealers are super friendly
->The Cherry Pepsi from the soda machines tastes better than Cherry Pepsi from anywhere else
->I’ve heard the hotel is lovely
THE BAD
->They close at 12 on weekdays which I didn’t know when I walked in at 11.
->Hospitality is almost non existent… I wanted to sign up for a players card and couldn’t find anyone to help. I eventually asked at the pay window and they told me the players club was closed for the night and that there was nothing they could do for me… the kicker is the guy said I wasn’t missing much since I was only planning to play video poker and BJ. When I was leaving a guy in a suit “came down from upstairs” and said he could help me… to his credit he was friendly and helpful but it’s clear signing up new players wasn’t normally part of his job.
->The slot machine I played was a bloodbath… since the $5 free play can’t be used on table games and the place was closing in 1/2 an hour I put $40 into a slot and figured I would play on that until close and walk away with whatever I had…. I was betting the minimum and my $45 didn’t last 15 minutes. It wasn’t a slow bleed where you get some nice little wins on the way to losing either, it was like throwing money into a burning pit. But hey the grift worked because they got me to play slots which I almost never do.
->The sportsbook is a self serve kiosk a lot of the time because no one is working the desk. This wouldn’t be a big deal but the kiosk doesn’t dispense cash so if you have a winning ticket you have to re-bet or cash out onto a ticket that is supposed to be redeemed at the desk. If the desk is closed you have to walk over to the pay window where sometimes they can cash it and other times they tell you it can only be redeemed at the book in person. More than once I’ve left with a winning ticket instead of cash because of this, which is frustrating. Also you can’t use your players card with the book so you don’t get credit for betting on sports.
->The comps seem stingy… look i’m grateful for everything but holy cow I’ve been playing VP and BJ here 2-3 nights a week for a few months now and haven’t gotten anything so much as a mailer. Meanwhile I still get food and freeplay offers from other Michigan Casinos that I only go to once or twice a year. I’ve also never been offered drinks here which usually happens at other casinos. I don’t drink so this isn’t a big deal to me but others will want to know.

Went to the room 94 restaurant and we were not impressed.
Lacking several drinks listed on the menu. We asked for two different beers and they brought the same to both without consulting different choices. They did correct the issue after we brought it to their attention, we were just shocked they did it. The food is basic.
They seem to focus on smoked brisket…. They should learn how to cook it as well. It was tough, we had to use a knife to cut it…sad.
I like this casino o won’t give up on them, just marking this visit as a negative experience.

We had a good time for three hours here! My husband took me in a pre-Christmas trip on Nov. 30, 2021. They opened right on time! (We went early in the day.)
we didn’t win much but we didn’t spend much. We had fun trying. ☺️
The staff was incredible. The kind lady at the players club window, helped us get our cards, told us about various attractions,in the casino & out. She answered any, and all of our many questions.
We had drinks at the bar, (the bartender was friendly) & since it was a Tuesday, there wasn’t too many other people. We wore our masks & had fun trying to win back our twenties!
Good Variety of slot machines.
I would have liked to have gone when there was entertainment and also to have tried the in house restaurant.
Every single employee (floor person, bartender, players club personnel) we came into contact with, treated us with respect and answered any questions we might have about machines, or slot play, or dining, or other betting areas; being the novices we were.

We had a great experience. Only a couple things I wish that were different. One the hotel is not right next to the casino (would definitely be more convenient if it was) 2nd there needs to be some updating. Beds are hard and the room just felt average.
Amanda Lomason — Google review
We stayed the night in our R.V. and they had plenty of parking. They have a parking garage or open parking your choice. The casino is very nice and clean. There are lots of great games to choose from.

It's was our first time at this Casino.
We really liked the way the smoking are was cl I see off. We had a super time. We were able to play the slips for over 2 hours, I left with my original $50. Plus. We will go back.

Dinner was not the greatest had garlic bread with beef tips, beef tips were good bread was very hard, the hamburger my husband ordered was saturated with grease served with rotten tomatoes, we were seated with two small tables together instead of a comfortable dinning table, were told they were all taken but not one person occupied any of those empty spots while we had dinner,,, not one person sat at any of those empty tables!!!!! The casino is nice The restaurant needs attention especially the greeter and the waitress. They are there to serve Us, not for us to be made to feel so very uncomfortable. Food options need to be rethought.
Renee Hoeft — Google review
Cleanest casino in Northern Michigan, slots are loose compared to other casinos, this is far better than turtle creek. Meals are quality, affordable and great staff.
Vic Ouellette — Google review
We stayed at the casino hotel. Our heater in the room was noisy and going on and off all night, also blowing cold air. The tub was plugged, stood in water while taking a shower. We have gone to the casino multiple times and don't do anything. Also, because I don't use my card all the time, I wasn't able to receive a birthday slot play. We use my husbands. The slots are getting to expensive to bet max anymore. We're retired, and we don't bet $5, $8, $10. As we've experienced in the past, betting max on a machine, you win more frequently. Sad, your pricing people out of being able to go gamble.
Franklin John — Google review
Not much traffic. Spent 3 days here and seen less than 50 people at anytime. ( I was there a minimum of 4 hours each time.)The slots are super tight, no poker during the week, and the blackjack table doesn't open until 4pm. the payout kiosks are all out of order. I will drive to other casinos before I come back here.
Dan — Google review
I enjoy a casino experience where you can play and have fun. I like to think of it like an adult arcade but Haven't had much fun at this one. It's like the games don't even give you enough to let you keep playing for a little bit.
Ashley and the funny Fam — Google review
The games were fun, but did not win a dime (which I expected). I had never been to the casino before, so for a first timer the atmosphere was pretty good. Free soda and such. Alcoholic Drinks are expensive and so is the food court. Probably won't be going again, but I was fun for a first time experience.

It was easy to get here, but ticket area to cash our tickets were hard to find. Had to ask guard to get help with machines. Workers were hard to find for help.

I understand there are lucky days and not so lucky days, but even when I hit bonuses they paid next to nothing. It's now clear to me why the place was empty on a Saturday night and why they aren't open 24 hours.

I was part of a batcholor party that played here. It was a busy Saturday night but we had a good time and managed to find a few seats at the tables. I did alright with slots while by friends did well at blackjack.

My mother and I decided to take a spontaneous trip out to this Casino since we've never been before. Upon our arrival, we loved the overall look of the outside of the Casino. Very inviting and beautiful design. Once we entered the Casino, we noticed the Security post was empty. No employee greeted us upon entering what so ever. We headed over to get our players card since we had a coupon for $5 free play. The woman who was at the window was extremely rude and cold to us. I believe her name was Anita. She acted as if we were an inconvenience to her right away and was short with us the whole time. We both were completely put off by her attitude. Having people at the *welcome desk* that don't even want to be there, sucks the fun out of the experience. At least fake that you enjoy your job. We walked around for a short while and played a couple games and left. Very underwhelming experience overall.
Aleasha Miller — Google review
The five minutes it took us to lose all our money was fun. Machines are tight with absolutely no return. We’re not looking to win a jackpot but it would be nice to sit and play for a while since we bothered to get up and out for the night.

What a fun little casino! Played a little, won a little, got to have a nice romantic dinner with my husband with my winnings! Great little nugget rewards of $5.00 on your players card with X amount of points earned! Super fun!

Worst hotel experience ever. Gentleman at front desk was quite put out that he had to take time to check us in, had to continually ask for info on shuttle, where elevators were etc. No one else in line waiting to check in at the desk, three people behind the counter so they were not busy. Wrote the hotel, no response. Casino was so so, some older machines not working but no signs showing they were out of order. 40 years of traveling and never received the disrespect this hotel staff provided. Never again.

Went here, immediately got racially profiled. Always went here the last three years, got accused of smoking, so I took my money and left. Absolutely disgraceful. Imagine being told you have something you DONT and being threatened that it’s a felony. Yeah good luck. I definitely won’t be giving you my money in the future. What a joke

Didn’t stay at the hotel. However, we took two elderly aunts of ours there for some pre-holiday fun in the casino. It was perfect! We were there on Friday before Christmas. The casino was clean and smoke free. The machines all looked as though they were cleaned and sanitized. Our Aunts had a blast, as did we. Btw…. After 2 hours of fun for 6 of us, we headed to Sage for dinner.

Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark
Water park
Water & Amusement Parks
Massive water park inside a resort featuring slides, a lazy river & children's pool.
Everyone was friendly and helpful. Midweek wasn't the least crowded and the price wasn't extravagant either. Great section for smaller kids, with fountains and shallow pools to splash in. Lots for the big kids too. Four bigger slides, the surfing wave and a nice arcade.
Amy Stevens — Google review
We arrived at 1105 and had a short wait to get inside. The park was perfect for our 2.5 year old. The lines for the slides were minimal. The food was what you’d expect from a water park. The life guards were polite and plentiful. The restrooms were clean and the towels were always available. The chlorine wasn’t overwhelming like other parks we’ve been to. The only “issues” were the other patrons inattentiveness and the occasional rudeness. We would definitely come back.
Kevin G — Google review
Went to Avalanche Bay for our youngest son's birthday, and even though the main dropout slide was still down, we still had a good time. The place was clean, and the guards were attentive but not overbearing. My wife got in free b/c it was Mother's Day, so that was nice. Would recommend it since there really aren't too many indoor parks available in N. MI just plan on arriving early to get a decent parking spot! Well done, Boyne!
Dave M — Google review
Amazing indoor water slides. There are a bunch of great slides for the brave and all very different. The spaces for the younger kids isn't as great but good enough.
They must be short on staffing now. One guy was hustling his butt off to send people down all of the slides at the top of stairs. The food counter had just one person taking orders or handing them out and was slammed so that was very slow. Food that was ready sat there waiting to be handed out for over 10-15 mins.
A little cold on the food side of the building. Better on the other end by the hot tubs.
Great water park really just marred by short staffing.
Marcus Bergstrom — Google review
Strictly talking about the Waterpark, nothing really stands out in terms of slides and such. Having the surf wave is a huge boon and really fun. It's an average indoor Waterpark. What separates Avalanche Bay from other places I've been is the life guards. Not only were they attentive, but they were professional and friendly. They were everywhere and I felt confident in letting my kids go about without my supervision, and that my kids would be safe. They were helpful and helped all my kids learn to surf and such. The lifeguards are what make this place great.

Really fun place for the family! There are a lot of fun rides, the play structure for the kids is amazing (2 entry points, ready to watch the kiddos).
Food prices are a little rough, however the loaded waffle fries are awesome and the drinks were very good.
Highly recommend, probably the best waterpark we've been to in Michigan!

Where do I start! If you're like me and research everything and the tickets are still in your cart, CHECK OUT NOW! Lol it's worth every penny! We went from noon till 8pm and we had fun the entire time! We didn't even make it to the arcade! I lost my glasses in the lazy River and when I tell you the staff went diving! They put on a 3 hour search and found them for me! I was so grateful I can not begin to tell yall! Ther was a bottomless bucket of towels! Never a wait for rest rooms. The Bar,,,,Rides,,,and snack shacks were busy. But when I tell you the staff had the lines going! We waited no more than 10min for anything! I will be back a few times this year! Jacuzzi, kiddie pools, we found seating right away. Do not listen to the negative reviews. This water park is exactly what it should be! WET...BUSY...SPLASHY FUN AND WORTH EVERY DOLLAR🤸🏾♀️

Clean wonderful place! If your child is 48-52” note that their 48” sign at the bottom and measuring post at the top for the tube slides is off by quite a few inches and they won’t be allowed to ride. Two other fun slides they can enjoy and my littlest enjoyed the toddler area.

Disappointed!!! We heard this was a largest water park in Mi. The lighting is dim, the air hurt our eyes from chlorine! Even before we got into the cold water! They aloud high school age boys to throw balls at each other in the little kiddos pool! Hit our 1 year old in the head with a ball! Not as much to do compared to other indoor water parks!!! Anyone can walk right in there, they don’t check to see if you have a tickets!!! Bathrooms/locker rooms not clean! Will not go back!

Nice room. It wasn't cleaned well when we arrived. Water park bracelet on the floor and the dishes were spotty. The kitchen table had grime and crumbs on it. Outrageous prices at stores and eateries. I know it's a resort, but dang.
Jason — Google review
Loved this place, it was so fun!
Only reason i didn't give 5 stars is bc they really need to make the kiddie pool a little more inclusive to learning walkers.. and not only have 1 big slide with 3 mini water fountains.
And bc this place needs WAY MORE seating. Considering how busy this place was (bc they're only open 3 days a week) and how pricey the tickets are there should be guaranteed seating for at least 2 ppl per party of 5.
Karla G — Google review
For the high cost and the great quality of the rest of Boyne Mountain resort, I’m shocked that this has good reviews. The waterpark does not look as nice as the pictures. It is gross, outdated, and so so cramped. Everything is on top of each other with very little walking space. There is not a single inch of this place to relax - one hot tub is full of kids, a chaotic short lazy river, and the only sitting places are a couple chairs scattered.
If you are staying here and need to entertain your kids and $50/person doesn’t mean much to you then sure. I would never drive out of my way for this waterpark, there are so many better ones like Kalahari.
Andria W — Google review
It’s alright for a small indoor park in tiny town USA. If we’re going to say that the best water parks are 5 stars it’d be hard to give this one more than 3. It’s just very small and compact. You can run through everything they have in about an hour. So you end up paying resort prices to do the same 6 things all day or float in a circle on the miniature lazy river that mostly runs under the slides. It’s clean well presented. The attractions they do have are fun. Most of the life guards are young kids that look like they partied hard the night before / on the way to work & I wouldn’t fully trust their attention to detail if I brought little ones here.

Everything was great except for when I was on the Rip Zone a bunch of kids were laughing at me. Life guards need to stop them instead of also laughing. Oh well I'm pretty sure everyone is just jealous of how rad I looked shredding it up so whatever. Also slushies at the snack shack are super yummy.

Avalanche Bay offered so much fun for my 12, 13, 16, and 18 year old. Many slides and activities to do. Several water slides, a pool with basketball hoops and a bunch of activities, a surfing thing, lazy river, a couple hot tubs, a huge activity tower with lots to do, and a little kid area. Lifeguards. All the safety things.
Positives: It really is a great place to go for kids of all ages. Its well kept and clean. My kids had a fantastic time and kept them very busy.
Negatives: I feel it's pricey. If you've ever been to Cedar Point or Great America...during the "on" season its similarly priced with not nearly as much to do. But...if you go during a day thats 20 to 30 dollars=worth it.
GET THERE EARLY. Lots if seating but definitely not enough to accommodate everyone there. Same for the lockers in the locker room. They were all taken when we got there with no alternatives. So...no seats, no lockers. The locker rooms were quite a mess because of this.
THE FOOD: Although there are several restaurants in the resort, they do have a little Cafe eatery in the water park. By 2:30 they had run out of most of their menu (no pizza, garlic, bread, or chicken tenders). They still had hot dogs and cheese curds. The prices are horrendous $6.50 for a hot dog. The pizza price was decent but not available. We were able to go to a nearby pizzeria and order pizzas to go. However...we went during the peak ski season so the wait at any other place was awful.
All in all the things that sucked were adult worries and my kids had no idea. They had a great time and it was worth it.
Just...get there EARLY.

Just a day trip with the kids.
Our first time there, and it was excellent!
However, I just wish they had a family changeroom. I'm a single father with 2 young daughters. Instead, we had to wait for a family washroom to change in. It is what it is... we made it work.

Not a whole lot for adults, the waterpark passes themselves are expensive for the amount of other things you have to pay for while there. Realistically, the passes should be like 30 dollars considering that's about all it's worth. Friendly staff. Locker rooms were sopping wet and crowded, should at least squeegee the floors every once in awhile. Especially with all of the kids running around. Waits weren't too long for slides, only 2 slides running but overall, decent experience. The room was almost 240 dollars. The couch squeaked all night long. Room felt very dated.
Rockelle Romano — Google review
It was okay. We got the 30% off deal for a day pass before spring break, but I would have been highly disappointed if we'd paid full price (~$260 for 4 people). Definitely needs some updates as you can see paint peeling off in several places. It was mostly clean when we first got there at opening time, however no one keeps up on anything that we saw, I had a clump of someone else's hair stuck on my ankle at one point. Lots of hair and food pieces on the floors. Highly suggest water shoes because of this. Locker rooms were filthy, disgusting, and you can't use your own lock, you have to pay for a locker.
It's nice that they have two medium sized water slides for younger kids, that don't empty into a pool at the end. The large water slides were fun, they just didn't have the one running that we looked forward to using (the toilet bowl one).
There's a good sized area for smaller kids to play safely in.
The water is too cold and the chlorine was harsher on our eyes than most places we've been.
A lifeguard whistled and yelled at my husband for having our 5 year old on his shoulders in the basketball pool (he was the only thing between her and all the teenagers throwing basketballs).
There's not really a pool adults can enjoy, only one with lots of basketball hoops where kids are playing. Which leaves the lazy river being the only place adults who can't use waterslides can enjoy.
It says it's the biggest indoor water park in Michigan, however I don't see how it's any bigger than Great Wolf or Soaring Eagle they all look the same. Definitely not worth the full price, if you get a discount it's worth the kids being able to do something different in the winter.
We won't be back anytime soon.
Erin E. — Google review
My family only visited the water park, Avalanche Bay, we did not stay in the hotel. The water park was okay. The stairs going up to the slides were painted gray and black, and it made it a little weird to walk up... they should maybe have a brighter color on the edge of the step for safety purposes. It didn't seem like there was enough chlorine in the pools. There was an odd background smell across the whole water park that smelled like a lack of chlorine and almost like a mechanical oil issue? The area for the kids, the big fort, was good overall. Again, there are a few safety issues with one area that is a wooden bridge that was SUPER slippery that they had rubber rugs on, but they really should come up with a more permanent solution...the rugs didn't cover the entire bridge and were slid down themselves a little even. There were also a few different step areas in the fort that were a little raised that if you're not careful and picking up your feet enough will trip you, or potentially hurt the bottom of your foot. The locker rooms as a visiting day guest were ok. I was really only SUPER concerned about the shower areas. I went in to shower off before leaving as I was a day guest, and there were little moths on my legs and body in the shower that were living in the shower, and the walls of the showers could use a good deep clean. We did enjoy the racing slides, the lazy river, and the big slides. We most likely will be back, but we may utilize the bathroom of the hotel lobby as that was quite a bit cleaner to the eye, and there were no moths in that restroom.

Cost way too much money to go in here. Website did not say much more than it needs to be saying way over cost that it should be in this park. I wouldn’t come back here again way too expensive for a little to do. not to mention, the food was way too expensive understand it cost a lot to run apart but the food was not the greatest and it was way too expensive
Shepler's Mackinac Island Ferry is a renowned and dependable transportation service in Mackinaw City, Michigan, offering visitors a convenient and delightful way to access Mackinac Island. With over 70 years of experience, Shepler's is the preferred choice for travelers in the area. Captain William Shepler established the company in 1945 with a vision of providing faster and more efficient ferry services.
Me, my boyfriend, and his dad had a quick and amazing trip from Mackinaw City to Mackinac Island and back yesterday September 18th 🙂 we took the 2:00pm ferry and explored the island for about 3 hours, took the ferry back to Mackinaw City at 5:00 to head back home!! We are from the Gaylord/Vanderbilt areas so it was a quick little adventure to get out of the house for a few hours!! Overall it was a great trip!! Totally worth it!! Will definitely do it again next Summer!! Thank you Shepler's!!

Cool experience that I would recommend to anyone. My family and I took the morning ferry that goes under the Mackinac Bridge and it was totally worth it. Great service beyond as well, they sent a shuttle for pick up and drop off and the staff was very friendly and informative. Highly recommend their service to the island.

Safe and smooth ride to the island! I’d definitely recommend. Pricing not bad, employees very knowledgeable and friendly, and the ride is informative and fun. Would recommend Shepler’s as opposed to other companies. They have 2 different parking locations with a $20 difference. One has a shuttle that will take you right to and from the ferry from the parking lot if you don’t pay $40 to park right at the dock. It’s quite convenient and very inexpensive per day.

Great ferry service to Mackinac Island. Bathrooms at both mainland and island boarding areas were clean. Lockers were readily available on the island side if you wanted to store anything after the crossing (like a jacket!). The 'Mighty Mac' ferry trip was sort of an accident on our part but had I known what the difference was before hand I would have planned to try to go on one of those crossings. The run under the Mackinac bridge over into lake Michigan then back over to the island was a cool view of the bridge that I had never had the opportunity to see before and definitely worth it in my view!

Staff were super nice ! Love the shuttle ride between lots. Line was long and we were still able to get seats st the top of the boat. This is definitely our go to ferry to the island!

I didn't ride any other Ferrys so I can't tell you if Shepler's is the best or not. But they were great at communicating luggage, times and prices. They made the trip painless. The ride was comfortable and quick and well worth it.
Great staff. Great communication. On time.

Top notch from beginning to end. Nice new boats, super fast and super smooth. The Captain was so good docking the boat: the docking process was flawless - we touched like a feather against the dock. Every employee was so professional. This ran with Disney Theme Park efficiency. We did the free day-parking away from the dock and took the shuttle to the boat liading queue - no issues.

Smooth and easy ride. Ferries were on time both directions. We had ample space for the whole family. Riding up top was a beautiful way to see the bridge just after sunset and was the perfect way to end a day on the island.
Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
Parking was also smooth and easy with their overflow day lots and shuttle service.

This was such an incredible experience! Make sure to bring a warm jacket or sweater for the ride because it does get very windy and cold when in motion! If you go a certain morning times they include a free tour under the Mackinac Bridge!!

Very fun experience. Had a very short wait both to and from the island but Sheplers did a great job and the staff was very friendly. Offer a free shuttle to and from your hotel in Mackinac City to the docks. Our ferry to the island was during the mighty mac time slot so it took you under the bridge. Great views!

Great ferry to take to Mackinac Island if you’re traveling with pets. They offer a short “detour “ to the Mackinac Bridge on the way to the Island. Highly recommended!

Great ferry service to the island! We were disappointed that we weren’t able to do the ‘Mighty Mac’ tour under the bridge or even see the bridge on our trip to the island due to thick fog, but we enjoyed the short journey anyways. Top deck was fun, but we were happy for the enclosed main floor on the way back

A Ferry Service that was a great experience! The upper deck gives a great view of Lake Huron and the Mackinac Bridge, going to Mackinac Island in just a few minutes. Their Lighthouse cruise, Eastern side was also enjoyable with a narrator on board. Bring a good coat cause the wind can be chilly on the trip if you are on the upper deck. Their porters take good care of your luggage and you can claim them easily on your arrival or they can bring to your hotel with a tip of course…
Maria C Gonzales — Google review
Easy parking. Quick shuttle service to the ferry. Clean bathrooms. Easy on and off the ferry.
The boat made a quick trip under the Mackinac Bridge and then headed out toward the island.
The return trip was equally as pleasant and enjoyable.

Very awesome ferry. We luckily got on the newest. Not sure if it was the fastest, but the biggest fastest boat I've ever transited on. I've spent some time at "30 plus" knots back in the Navy, but almost 40 knots on a these ferry boats was something else. We lucked out and got seats on the top deck. Beautiful sunny calm day to scoot across the water.

If I could rate them 10 stars I would! They do allow well behaved dogs on the ferry, which is amazing! We took our dogs on a trip to Mackinac Island and they loved riding on the ferry! We have done the trip that goes under the bridge as well as the one that goes jus to the island. The crew is always very kind to us! Can't wait for our next ride!
Fort Mackinac, established in 1780, is a historical landmark that offers exhibits and tours. The vintage architecture and unique shops along the main street provide visitors with a glimpse of the past. The island has a rich history dating back over 400 years, from Native Americans to French settlers who used it as a resort and trading center. Jacques Marquette's statue stands near Fort Mackinac, which was built by the British in 1780 and is one of Michigan's oldest structures.
Even if you're not too into the history, the sights from up top are amazing. If you are into history, there are exhibits all over the fort. They also do a couple cannon firings each day, with ample warning for your ears, and several reenactments. I've never had a bad time here, or really a meh time at all.
Michael Schmidt — Google review
Half the fun of coming to the fort was seeing all of town from on top of the hill! The views are great from the walls of the fort. The fort and demonstrations are great, as well as the restaurant within the fort, however, there were some areas that were blocked off and some of the exhibitions seemed rather skimpy, and didn't have as much as they could have (take the barracks, for example). It kept us busy for a little over an hour (with reading most of the signs and not watching the small educational videos that played in some of the rooms).
Jacob Brower — Google review
Fort Mackinac is a cant-miss place when visiting the island. The historic fort is well-maintained with a very informative museum chronicling the island’s history and the forts role in the War of 1812. The fort also has some of the best views on the island, looking down on the town and harbor and across to the Mackinaw Bridge. Many of the buildings are open and contain exhibits showing how life was like for soldiers stationed there 200 years ago. Definitely one of the highlights of our time here!
Kevin Horst — Google review
This vital part of the legacy of Mackinac Island began during the Revolutionary War, and it has been well preserved for our education and enjoyment. We spent a little over two hours touring as much as we could and still ran out of time to see all of it. We also stopped for lunch at the Fort's dining area, The Tea Room, hosted by The Grand Hotel. We enjoyed a delicious lunch and, of course, some afternoon tea. (Kinda almost felt a little British there for a moment, but me Irish and Welsh kicked me back to reality.) The Fort is a must see, and do take the time to read about everything as you tour to get the most out of your adventure.

The Fort is cool, but the whole Island itself is an amazing little place. Feels like a flashback to the past and the no car rule makes it amazing for biking of course. So definitely bring or rent a bike once you land. Fun little shops and buildings to explore so definitely get there early in the day if you aren't spending the night!
TheLeakingGenius — Google review
Family spent a good part of the day here while on Mackinac Island. Lots of very interesting historical information and equipment etc on display and some in action too! The 'staff' if that's the right term for them are super friendly and engaging especially with kids! They'll explain the uniforms they wear, what a day would have been like for the people stationed at the fort and demonstrate their equipment as well! The cannon firing is definitely worth seeing especially if you've never witnessed a muzzloading cannon loaded and fired. These are salute shots same as would have been the standard when the fort was actively manned and interestingly were the only type of shots fired since the cannons of the fort itself were never actually fired in anger. The fun things you learn from the 'soldiers' at the fort!
It was a great time, the kids had a blast running around, seeing all the displays and living history etc.

You won't experience anything like it anywhere else. It's more than just an island. It has a certain type of atmosphere that will leave you longing for the days when everyone wasn't walking around nose deep in their phones and taking selfies every couple minutes. I highly recommend going off on your own and exploring the least taken paths. Stay away from all the huge groups of people as much as possible. You'll have a much more enjoyable experience.
D. Saunders — Google review
Enjoyable for all history buffs. You will see a demonstration firing off a cannon as well as a period rifle. I suggest taking a horse drawn carriage up to the fort (they are reasonably priced), and you will see other sights on the way such as the grand hotel which has the biggest veranda. Don't forget to get the best fudge while on the island.
Benjamin Korhorn — Google review
Definitely a place to check out on your journey through Mackinac Island. Be willing to hike up a steep hill. Full of history, historic structures, and informational displays (exhibits; some are interactive) and surrounded by beauty. Demonstration of the canon firing was cool to watch. The tickets were $15.50 a person.

Incredible fort! The restoration efforts to keep this historic site alive are amazing. Some incredible views of the island and Lake Huron greet you at the top of the ramp to the entrance. Fun activities for the kids and much to learn here. For what you’re able to see/learn about, it’s well worth the price. If you’re sightseeing all around the Straits, I highly recommend a Mackinac Family Heritage Pass to be cost-effective.

It is definitely a climb to get up there, but it's so worth it. What a great place with lots of history. We enjoyed wandering around and learning about the for. They have some great events during the day, like shooting the cannon. There is a store for souvenirs and a Tea Room is available. The views from the for are amazing. They also offered a military discount, which was wonderful.
Donna Smith — Google review
The history is incredible and the staff was friendly. Took off stars because it is not stroller friendly. We had prepaid tickets and there was no "express line" to bypass the wait.
We ended up climbing the hill to the left of the entrance to avoid the front entrance stairs which helped us get the stroller into the fort, but once we were in there, most buildings had stairs so you couldn't take it in.
If you have mobility issues or young kids, this is not a good place to visit. It's a good place for history buffs or families with older kids.
Selena Beers — Google review
The history of this fort is pretty cool! Be sure to do the half hour tour when you get there. Firing and cannon demonstrations every 60-90 minutes. Tea room on site has salads and sandwiches. We didn’t eat there, but it’s an option. Lots of stairs to get into the buildings and around the fort. It takes about 1 1/2-2 hours to go through. Really cool piece of American history.

The fort was very interesting with great exhibits. We ate lunch at the Tea Room. Reasonable pricing! A chicken wrap was $13 with chips. The view was worth every penny. Would not recommend for handicap as there were many steps and the hill is very long and steep. For the able bodied this is a must when visiting Mackinac Island!
Arch Rock, a natural limestone arch located in an island state park, is a breathtaking scenic spot accessible by trails. It is situated just past the one-mile marker and considered to be the most impressive of all Mackinac Island's features. Visitors can climb up 200+ steps to see the arch, which offers stunning views of the lake. While there might be lines, they move quickly to access these viewing spots.
Photos never do it justice. Gorgeous view, cool rock formation. Many ways to get there bike the outer loop and walk the stairs up, bike the middle of the island up, walk or catch a carriage ride. We stop every time we visit the island.
Amber Yanovich — Google review
We visited Arch Rock twice during our visit to Mackinac Island. The first time we visited was during the Horse Carriage Tour of the Island. You only have about 6 minutes to get of the carriage and snap a few pictures. The view was very beautiful and there was a kayak group in the water below. The second time we visited was the following day on a bike ride around the island. This time we could see the arch from the beach looking up. There are also stairs that you can climb to the scenic area at the top.

We rolled in at 6:45 am, and it was like stepping into a scene of perfect calm. Not a soul around, just the soothing sounds of nature. Watching the sunrise was a real treat, like catching a secret show just for us. Its hardly a 10 minute walk on the steps, but the view is something you don't stumble upon every day. We went down to the beach also which is right below the arch rock.

Wow, this is a breathtaking view! Words and pictures can’t describe it. Plan to wait in line but the line moves quickly to get to these viewing spots. The trail from the road around island was closed, so we had to navigate through the streets; easy to find but uphill most of the way! You can also take the wagon ride here if you are not into biking or walking.

Arch Rock is a breathtaking natural wonder on Mackinac Island. This stunning limestone arch stands as a testament to the power of erosion and time. The view from the observation point is nothing short of spectacular, with Lake Huron stretching out endlessly. The short hike to reach Arch Rock is relatively easy and well worth the effort. It’s a must-visit spot for anyone exploring Mackinac Island, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and geological wonder. Don’t forget your camera – this is a place you’ll want to capture and remember.

Must visit spot in Mackinac Island. We parked our bikes at the bottom of the stairs and climbed 200 odd steps to reach the arch. The views are breathtaking. The water is turquoise in color and reminds you of the Emerald Coasts of Florida. Easily, one of the highlights of the park.

Beautiful spot to observe a natural formation. Two ways to get there: 1) walk about 10 minutes (or faster bike ride) past Mission Point Resort to the staircase (207 steps). This is the quickest to the top. There is a natural spring at the base of the staircase. 2) Bike Arch Rock Road from the center of town and skip the stairs.

Short bike ride from the downtown area. It took about 20 min one way to hike up if you prefer the steps. There are about ~200 steps and can be doable by most. If you have time at least it is doable up and down with some 19 min time spend on that too (considering you have rented the bike ). Top of the rock view is amazing to watch the lake for top. Restrooms are at the top and I don’t find any vending machines or fountain. Steps are well maintained. There is an another way you can reach the top by road way from inland and we haven’t tried. Plenty of spaces at the top to park the bike as well as some spaces available to park your bike at the bottom of that hill as well. Worth the hike and we had a party of 4 year old kids and baby too.

Nice stop if you like to enjoy beautiful vistas and get in some cardio. There are over 200 stairs to climb to reach the viewpoint, but there are benches interspersed along the route if you need to take a breather. We climbed the stairs with an 11 year old, and it felt perfectly safe. The views along the climb are wooded, so you may peek the lake as you ascent, but there are no real vistas until you reach the top.
At the top, there is a crowd in the summertime, and you can wait for your perfect photos of the Arch with the beautiful blues of the waters below. Don't forget to take in the view from the lake level by riding/walking just past the arch stairs entrance.
There are bathrooms at the top and also other places on the island loop, which was great. You never felt uncomfortable from not being able to find a restroom.

This is probably the coolest spot on this island. Only a 207 step walk up to the top, great panoramic views from the little ledge.

There's two ways to get here, on the coastal road and take the 207 steps up. Or bike/hike/horse carriage ride up the inland road to the top. Both are incredibly easy to find/navigate.
The stairs are well maintained and even, our 2yr old was able to do most of the climb unassisted. There's a bathroom at the top as well but I did not see a water fountain (though I didn't look closely).
Plenty of parking spaces for your bikes. Plenty of space for multiple people at the top.
Selena Beers — Google review
It is well worth the trek to the top. We chose to hike from town thru the woods /trail system than climb the 200+ stairs. The view at the top was breathtaking.

It's an arch made of rock.
There's steps from the outside trail you can walk up. I think it was a little over two hundred steps.
Or there's a road that goes right to the top. Your choice I guess. But the steps have great scenic views and are more fun

The Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre is a popular attraction in Sault Ste. Marie that offers visitors the chance to experience the fascinating history of bushplanes and aerial firefighting equipment. The museum showcases displays of historic planes, allowing flight enthusiasts of all ages to crawl into aircrafts, explore cockpits, and climb into cargo holds. In addition to its impressive exhibits, the museum also offers a flight simulator for an immersive experience.
Great museum, lots to see for both adults and kids. Unique and fun, nice gift shop too. Probably one of the better activities in town.

Nice little museum with old heritage De Havilland aircrafts like Otter, Beaver and other small airplanes. Water Bomber was the most exciting plane out of all. Kids had a lot of fun checking out the airplanes. You could hop onto some of the planes and check out the cockpit cabin so that was really exciting for kids. There was also a short 3D movie on the water bomber which kids really liked. There were simulator games for kids to fly the planes on screen. Overall it was a great experience!CL

I've been here twice, and loved it both times. They have a lovely collection of both common and rare planes that helped shape Canada. There is a very informative section on Forest Firefighting. The section is complemented by a number of aircraft used in those rolls. Early airlines also feature heavily at the museum. Both with artifacts and a number of aircraft. Another good section is early radios in Canada. They have a large number of scale models. The models are a little dated but well maintained and represent a large range of aircraft. The Museum also shares the space with an Entomology group called Entomica Insectarium. It's only a couple of dollars more but it is worth it to see some rare and unique critters. These critters included insects, frogs, tortoises/turtles, salt water and fresh water fish, lizards, and birds. Also located here is a trading area for fossils, insects feathers and the like. You bring stuff you've found and trade it with stuff in the museum collection. I highly recommend it if you are visiting Sault Ste Marie.

But it's cool cause now we have to go back and check that out . The staff are very helpful and polite the gift shop is amazing .

I first noticed this museum while on the Soo Locks boat tour. So the next day I drove across the bridge into Canada to visit 🤠
Unusual setup here, there's more big aircraft brilliantly situated in this hanger then I've seen in any other museum. Excellent use of a small space with big airplanes✈️. And by big, how about a Fokker Tri-Motor, on floats!😱 It's a monster.😳.
There's a separate section in the back all about 🔥firefighting in Canada. This is especially relevant recently😷🫣. Visitors can walk up stairs to a recreated fire tower. There's a movie theater, with rocker🪑seats featuring a Documentary🎥 about firefighting in Canada. The 20 minute movie is very well done.🎟️ I can vouch for this having been in the movie business for 50 years😎.
This airplane museum is a hodgepodge of many things. It has rocks and minerals and shells and even another museum inside with insects. This is a very interesting and hands-on environment for children. There's a lot to learn.👨🏫
And back to the bush planes...
There are aircraft of several types in here, some on floats, some not. Some about different parts of history. Some unrelated to bushfly. Some you can actually go into 🤩 But watch your head.
As I said it is a hodgepodge of different things😬. Very unique nonetheless and definitely enjoyable to walk around and explore 👀 And there's plenty for children to do sort of like an exploratorium with hands-on☝🏻 challenges.
Cute little gift shop at the end.
Lively casino resort offering low-key quarters, plus restaurants, live entertainment & a spa.
I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for a conference. My room was wonderful! Clean, comfortable and pretty high tech! Just push the button by your bed to open curtains and turn on lights in the morning! The conference room was kept at the correct temperature (for me), the sound was good and they kept our refreshments stocked all day long. Lunch provided was simple, but very tasty and filling. LOVE that there is no smoking throughout the entire facility now! I would stay again!

Everything is updated and very clean! Both in the water park and the hotel. Definitely the cleanest water park we've been to in years. I didn't have to walk around going "yuck!" Stepping on grime and getting dirt stuck to my feet. They take care of this place. Very enjoyable, we'll definitely be back! Staff is attentive and helpful as well; we called to ask for more towels around 9am and someone brought them promptly.

I attended a concert at their outdoor venue. Everything about it was awesome. They had shuttles pick you up from clearly marked parking lots, and take you right to the gate. They have a great system at the gate, and people didn't have to stand in long lines. Bathrooms, yes clean outhouse ones, were plentiful. They had drink runners with coolers all over the lawn area so drinks were plentiful, and less expensive than what I'm used to paying in Ohio. Lighting and sound were on point. I had a wonderful night, and enjoyed the show from the lawn.

Had a great time staying at this casino for the weekend with friends. The casino is large and they have plenty of dealers to fill up the tables. The accommodations throughout the hotel are very nice as well. The convenience store has all the essentials with very affordable pricing and the Ruth's Chris Steakhouse inside of the resort is a must try. Worth checking out for a nice night or weekend!

The rooms are absolutely fabulous, I'd rate 10 stars if I could. Everything in the facilities is very clean and fresh smelling. The Ascend is a good sports bar to eat and have a few drinks; we enjoyed visiting with our bartender Vicki. Will definitely return and stay a couple days again in a few months!

Excellent rooms and facilities. All the rooms have been recently updated and have modern features such as powered blinds and shades. My wife and I had a chance to visit the spa for a massage which was nice and updated as well. There's a variety of restaurant options varying in price, the new Ruth's Chris steakhouse is excellent. Casino is very nice as well, clean, and offers a good variety of games. We will be back!

I didn't rate the hotel because I went to Soaring Eagle to play the slots with no plan to spend the night. Although, at the time, I lived only 40min West of Hollywood Casino in Toledo, the drive to Soaring Eagle was well worth it.
Yes, I could have went to the much closer casino, but that one has really went downhill over the time it's been open. I won't go into detail, but I will say.... Soaring Eagle is MUCH nicer, in more ways than one.
Upon entry... great first impression. I was greeted by a very friendly gentleman and a security guard. They were both very welcoming and I enjoyed our brief chat.
I am a former housekeeping supervisor and I was quite impressed by not only the decor, but the cleanliness of the place. And the bathrooms ! ! ! They smelled as if they were new. So fresh, clean and shiny 😉
Any employees I spoke with were very friendly and helpful.
I'm a veteran and I struggle with an anxiety disorder so going places where there are a lot of people isn't always easy for me.
But, I never once felt anxious or uncomfortable during the 5hrs or so that I was there. And that says a lot.
I truly had a great time and I intend to visit more, at some point I plan to book a room and stay the night.
Although I didn't come out ahead on the slots, the evening I enjoyed was well worth it.

Very nice place to get a away for a weekend or a couple of days. Depending on which floor you want to stay on, it can be pretty pricey. All in all we had a very nice time. The pool is very nice, they have a small work out room with 2 treadmills a couple ellipticals and some hand weights. All the rooms are easily to find. The staff were friendly and nice also.

So beautiful and luxurious! The casino was a lot of fun of course. Wish the front desk girl the morning we checked out would of been a little nicer but it was still a great time! Guest pay a lot of money to stay there and Cassidy at the FD should remember that when she wants to have a rude tone with a guest! Other than that, what a awesome place! So gorgeous!

It's a casino can't expect to win all the time. Been awhile since I had been here thought I would give it a try again. The machines are tight payouts are small, wife and I didn't see anyone hit for over 100 dollars. Gun lake casino much better people winning all the time. If you want your money to last longer maybe even hit a big one gun lake is better. Atmosphere there is better you hear people winning all the time.

Beautiful room and my first time there. Only reason giving 4 stars is that I'm a light sleeper and I could hear the neighbors bathroom, all the doors in the hall and people talking in the hall. Love all the cool techy stuff and the bathroom design. The event rooms were very nice.

I spent four days at a conference in this wonderful facility. Every single thing about this venue was perfect. We were all very impressed with every single staff member we interacted with, who were accommodating, kind, and helpful. The rooms were beyond our expectations, and the restaurants here were surprisingly affordable, except for the steakhouse! (National Chain)
We will likely return to this venue on an annual basis for our Michigan conference. Just wish the colors had been more vibrant in the area, but that has nothing to do with the hotel.
Great job Soaring Eagle!!

ten times a year The hotel casino is great. The host are always very helpful in available. Any type of service you receive here is very professional. We stayed in the water park hotel for the first time. I have a small child who is on the spectrum. And they have a complete program set up for children with autism, including a sensory room and ratings for all activities as far as sight ,touch and smell. This place is really awesome

My husband and I were given tickets to see Lewis Black. It's been a couple years since I've been to the casino and it's gorgeous. So many new improvements. The event center was comfortable with seating and spacing. Cost of drinks weren't bad at all. It was clean and very nice. Lewis Black was hilarious. Very enjoyable time.

A nice gambling facility that is smoke-free inside! It makes it nice for non-smokers to come and enjoy the hotel, concerts, gambling, food and other events, and they have a rockin New Year's party too! The childcare area is wonderful and there is a kid arcade area too. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is delicious in all of their restaurants! Not to mention that their water park is just down the road if you're in the mood for some water fun.

This is a high end resort. Our room had automatic lighting and curtains at the the touch of a button at the headboards and front door. Comfortable beds and quiet rooms made for a great night’s sleep. Food choices were wide ranging and the wait time was nonexistent. Shower could have had higher pressure but overall I would recommend it to anyone visiting the casino.

Very nice facilities and staff are very courteous and helpful. Complimentary valet was much appreciated, as we arrived to the hotel during one of the concerts when everything was packed. Beautiful artwork all around the hotel, casino, lobby, and walkways. The live music event we attended outside seemed well-staffed. I enjoyed the indoor saltwater pool and hot tub; didn't try the outdoor hot tub but it's in a peaceful courtyard setting. The resort seems like a family friendly environment, had pretty quiet vibes during our stay.

Very friendly staff. Room was beautiful. The mobile check in and key were so convenient. Slot machines were fun and a huge selection. Table games were amazing. Food was affordable and delicious. Many food outlets in facility. I recommend getting a players card. The points can be used anywhere in casino and not only do you get points on card but you earn comps as you play. Between points and comps I didn't have to pay a dime for my food. Love this casino and I plan on making another trip soon

We had an amazing time for my baby girls 18th birthday! We were able to check in early, we enjoyed food from 3 different places. The convenience store was great. The majority of the staff was incredible. The bartenders left much to be desired, I've never seen such misery from people that work for tips.
Our suite was the best part! Absolutely gorgeous, clean and comfortable.

We aren't gamblers but wanted to get away from winter and have some fun where everything is under one roof. We splurged on the drive, food and gamble package and tried to slot machines, Though we had no clue how to use them or how we won anything, we both got to experience all the lights and sounds of minor wins. The food and beverages were reasonably priced. The food court was great for lunch but only complaint is not finding a clean table in the whole place. We saw Jeff Foxworthy in the evening and had a great time. Will return in the future.
Milfordmom T — Google review
It feels like they mostly have slot machines. The card tables were all full and the craps tables were all closed? It was a Saturday night when we visited too.
The food court had a great selection, however it was FILTHY. The trash was all overflowing and none of the tables were cleaned off. We visited around dinner time and then again around 12am and nothing had been cleaned. Trashes were even more overflowed and every table was covered in crumbs and grossness.
The casino floor was constantly being cleaned and trash was being taken care of, but the food court sat neglected all night. Definitely prefer some of the other casinos in Michigan to this one.

We only went to the casino not the resort to see a comedy show at the theater. We really enjoyed the theater size for the event. However the show started at 8 and that's when they closed the bar, which wasn't awful but made the lines 3x longer and had people walking around with 3-5 drinks at a time. If I'm not mistaken isn't there a 2 drink law for bars? As far as the casino goes, my first impression walking in was less than what I would have expected. There were at least 6 machines down just walking to the theater within eyesight.

Was there for my husband 65th birthday. I didn't win anything, but he did, so I was very happy about that. We stayed for 3days/2nights and the cost was not expensive. The next day, after giving housekeeping our rm# I asked them just for new clean wash, hand and shower towels, and a few more soaps. They said fine. We NEVER got them the whole time we were there. Other than that, the stay was just okay, nothing extra.

We went here for weekend fun, to check out the casino, ample parking space , drive all the way inside the multi storied parking , we got a spot right beside the elevator to the casino , so it was super convenient.
We tried slot machines , there was good collection, the entertainment hall had a long queue of people , guess there was some show.
There is complementary stall for soda and coffee at the middle of the casino floor, so quench your thirst while playing 😜🥤☕️
The food court also pretty nice , will try next time.
A big thumbs up for this casino at Mr. Pleasant!!! 👍👍

This review is based on my experience at an outdoor concert, during which a few openers I can't recall the name of, Willie Nelson, and Jelly Roll played. We sat up on the hill with a large group. I wasn't sure I would have a good time, and that worry turned out to be unwarranted. We had a great view, more than enough room, and we all had a blast. 10/10, would definitely recommend coming to one of the outdoor shows 😁👌🏼

Not much color for a garden
There is some great architecture with the bridges and canopy walks, but very little color and flowers for a garden. The canopy walk is very neat to explore with abstract art involved. You can walk over the glass corner or sprawl out over the nets. Be prepared to walk, this place is large and very spread out, so many sections to explore. Try to go on a weekday to beat the crowds.
Disappointed that there are not more flowers. There are plenty of tulips, but those will not last all season, so be prepared for no flowers if you don't go in Spring.

This was first time visiting, and I will definitely go again. I loved seeing all the butterflies fluttering around in the butterfly greenhouse. There were many butterflies I've never seen in person before. It's nice to go in different seasons of the year. You get to see different things. There were some Lenten rose flowers in bloom, which only bloom around now, which were nice to discover. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The staff in the butterfly house were ready with any visitor questions.

This was a great 1 mile walk through nice lights, but not many. Highlight was the reindeer.
Wheel chairs on the path does not work. We had my mom in a chair and going over the grass as well as mulch and dirt was difficult needed 3 of us to manage the task. Great for family and not overwhelming for kids.

The Garden of Glass exhibit featuring Craig Smith of Lansing, Michigan was fantastic. The beautiful fall foliage and exquisite art work made the visit memorable.
The exhibit drew a wide range of enthusiasts from family's with small children to wedding parties.
Plan on spending 2 to 3 hours exploring all of the exhibits. There are many places to sit for a while to soak in all of the beauty. The exhibit ends soon, so get outside while the weather is pleasant.

Probably the most well known destination in Midland county and for a very good reason. Visit any time of the year, but especially in the Spring or Summer, and explore this gem. The sprawling grounds are manicured and maintained to a very high degree and there are points of interest everywhere. It's simply beautiful to walk through and , even though I've visited this place repeatedly, I always find something to ponder and gaze at that I somehow didn't see before. If you're a tree "enthusiast" ( like me) this is a destination not to be missed. Add to that a children - friendly play area, a large tropical indoor garden, a huge rose garden, water settings with pathway bridges, sculptures and endless perennial plants. And don't forget the adjacent Whiting Forest with its elevated pathway and another kid friendly play area. ( You can get on the elevated pathway from Dow Gardens. Just head for the Rose Garden area)
Want more? Take a tour of the Dow mansion next door or the adjacent home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, which was also built for the Dow family.
Prices are very reasonable for all these attractions.

One of the most peaceful places to visit within the state. The gardens are well-maintained and has plenty of nature trails and sights of see. I visited here in the summer years ago and just recently in the spring. There were many spring trees and flower blooms. I can’t wait to visit again next year!

It's amazing not only because of its size but on how well it has been keeping up, almost every inch is so well maintained, layers of matching height brilliant color landscape, weed-free everywhere -- I know how impossible it would be compared with my own tiny yards. Took me over 4 hours just to have a quick glimpse. For sure, the canopy walk was the highlight, it more like a huge backyard playset but at a huge grand scale.

This garden is just stunning. A beautiful place to do a photo shoot for sure. They have an area for kids to play and a food area. You can picnic as well, just bring a blanket. They have a tree hut with ropes that the kids just love. Lots of fun. You can expect to spend at least 3 hours here easily.

This place is crazy beautiful in the fall! I now need to go back in the spring to see the flowers, but definitely a must do during Michigan leaves peak season. The canopy walk was a bit challenging as I am afraid of height, but I still manages to do it with a few tears and a lot of support from my family. I was worth it.

Potter Park Zoo houses 500 animals from four different continents, including endangered species. The zoo's on-site eatery and snack bar provide food options for visitors. The zoo provides an intimate experience with the animals and offers them the choice to be seen by the public or to take some alone time. The establishment takes excellent care of all its animals, as they have sweet stories about how they were brought in, some being rehabilitated while others are endangered.
It's a beautiful zoo to see animals with little add-ons. A "quiet area", play and pretend for young children.
There are a lot of signs with information about the individual animals (which is a cool way to get your child to read instead of you reading it to them😉)
The staff is very kind and helpful, the zoo has a park in front of it that is nicely set with trees so that you won't have to sit in the burning sun.
The prices are pretty reasonable considering they are used to manage the zoo and everything it entails.
Currently the Zoo is undergoing construction to make the walk ways better, so while we did not get to see all of the animals on our visit we did receive tickets for free entry for our next visit. (Which is pretty awesome and kind)

The biggest animals are the Rhino and Camels. The pony rides were closed when we went. I loved watching the silver eyed wolf pacing about. The Rhino was quite active but all the big cats were being lazy at mid-day.
I recommend mosquito spray! Not as many kid play areas as other zoos in the state, our kids commented on this as we left.
Overall it's a fun way to spend an hour or 2 in the morning to see more activity. A nice excuse to get some exercise!

Winter rates are low and the crowds are less, so I definitely recommend going during off season if you want a more intimate experience. The animals mostly walked right up to where we were observing from which was really amazing! I’ve loved visiting this zoo since I was a very young child, but I’ve realized more recently that some of the enclosures seem…. Small. Don’t get me wrong, most seem to be a nice size, but it’s difficult to process a tiger or lion living in the space they’re given when they naturally roam much bigger areas. Otherwise I think the animals seemed well cared for and I saw many employees working hard to take care of them!

We LOVE Potter Park Zoo! I went there as a kid for field trips and now bring my kids there. It is plenty big to see a wide variety of animals but small enough that my 3 year old will walk it with no complaints. They have both endangered species as well as local animals such as elk and Bald Eagles.

We had an AMAZING experience. My daughter is in kindergarten, and this was her first field trip. There were 3 other schools there at the same time, but I never once felt crowded or waited in any lines. They have food in the park, a gift shop that's affordable, a tornado machine ($3), and a photo booth ($7 for 4 slips). There was plenty of parking and a huge park attached to the zoo for the kids to burn off more steam. Plenty of shaded benched areas for eating and relaxation. There are plenty of benches throughout the park. The animals are beautiful, though their enclosures are small. I'm sure they're happy and taken care of. $15 adult entry, $5 parking. As for a wristband, if you plan on going out and coming back in.

Super relaxing zoo. All the animals are amazing. The lion had a lot to say as did the bald eagle and most birds. And we were joined by 2 peacocks. Was very enjoyable. Would be back if I lived here. But when I come back to MI I’ll swing by when it’s a bit warmer. Also the cows and goats were having some words lol. Was funny and a good time.

The best zoo I have ever been to ! I have never been to a zoo where you could get so up-close to the animals. You could also tell that all the animals here were well taken care of and shown lots of love. The animals here all had sweet little stories of how/why they were brought in. Some were there to be rehabilitated, and others were there because they're endangered. It was so amazing how the animals were given the option of being out in the open to be seen by everyone & then to also be able to have their alone time. My favorite highlights were the bats & the owls!! I will definitely come back for the butterflies though, because it was closed when I went.

I visited in March - Good: price was low and there were only about a dozen people there. Not as good: a third of the animals were off exhibit. Yet is an great zoo for a city of Lansing's size. I explored the whole thing and it took 2 hours. Animals range from big (rhinos, camels, lion, tiger, cows) to small (snakes, lemurs, penguins). They have a petting area, pony rides, a nature play area, and camel rides. Nearly all is shaded, so in the summer should be good. Nearly all the animals are outside; there are 2 small building for monkeys and reptiles.

Nice zoo, clean, and easy to walk around.
There are currently no wolves; it seems they were transferred to another zoo to keep a sibling company after they lost their companion. Nice zoo keeper talks and fun reptile house. There is a decent playground outside of the park and plenty of bathrooms with changing tables.

I went for one of the 21+ evening Zoo Nights and it was great! Definitely eat beforehand because there isn't a ton of food available but there were lots of drink options and a really fun scavenger hunt information sheet to fill out and get more drink tickets. It made it an adventure and I really enjoyed it, probably more than I have previous years. There was also a baby lemur which was adorable.

As a kid I grew up loving this place and I still do, it's a treat to get to know all the animals and their names, and the employees are the kindest people and take phenomenal care of the animals. They also go all out on decorations for the different seasons, Halloween had so many big spiders and cobwebs and getting closer to the holidays it's lit up with a bunch of beautiful x-mas trees. Potter Park Zoo is a great local attraction and an easy way too spend quality time with the family. Like many things these days the zoo can get expensive quick. Eat before you get there. My personal favorite attraction are the big cats. Not sure how accurate my assessment is but every time I go when it is a bit chilly the tiger is always enjoying laps around the enclosure. You are a couple feet from him when he passes. It always hits home for me how majestic, life can be when I see him. The zoo could do better with PR letting customers know when there is construction that closes a major piece of the zoo. But besides that if your In The area it’s worth the trip.

Went to an event this month in the evening and it was so much fun. We got to really experience boo at the zoo. The animals were so social we've never had a chance to be that close to the big cats and we've been here so many times. It was really cool! These were taken with like the worst camera too so excuse the quality 😒 anyhow again, as always, it was fun, the staff are always so helpful too at these events and I know we're there after hours so I don't even know if they get paid but everyone is always so kind. I've got a really bad back so people can often see I'm struggling to walk and the zoo staff have been helpful more than once regarding my back. I only wish the scooters cost less or there were a way to get like a waiver I don't know just an idea.

Really nice zoo with a lot of beautiful old architecture that you normally don't see at a zoo. Lots of happy animals and really nice exhibits. It's definitely a smaller zoo as far as zoos go, but bigger than the Saginaw Zoo we normally visit. It's also got lots of room to expand and fill out.

You also can take your pet for a great stroll, take very great pictures of a waterfall and the covered bridge.
The only store I would not recommend is the Frankenmuth store, high priced and really touristy.
Be sure to check out the store Sticky things, this place has honey, syrup, butter, oils and all kinds of yummy tea's. You can sample all their products and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about where their merchandise is made and for health benefits they carry so much and the staff is, well I cannot say enough, they also offer to but online, a definite must stop.

Great little place to stop and shop while you're in Frankenmuth. Lots of options to pop in and look around. There's an arcade to keep the kids occupied for a while and you're steps away from some good restaurant choices on the main drag. It's a pet friendly area as well. They gave a spot near the middle to let them do their business too.

If you think of it as resort pricing then many of the stores are priced right. It's a lot of very cool shops that are creatively laid out. Every shop I walked into was polite. They wanted to make sales but we're not pushy. Either you found something or you didn't if you knew what you were looking fir they would happily assist.
There are goldfish in the water feature. Doing pretty well for March.

They have alot of cool things to look at and shop. My favorite was this place you can try hot sauce and BBQ sauces in weird flavors.
Water is $2 in there so maybe bring your own. They have an arcade, book store, blacksmith experience, pet stores, candy, and fudge shops. It was definitely worth going highly recommend.

Frankenmuth River Place is a great place to spend a relaxing day with friends and family. There are plenty of food options on site or very close by. The shops are varied and interesting to browse. I loved the honey and tea shop, the samples were amazing. And definitely make a stop at the beignet shop. Delicious!

Very taste place. Samples of honey, oils, vinegar and maple syrup. Tea was only available to smell in jars. The smell and taste should resemble each other. Per the owner. We purchased a sampler box with a honey and a couple different teas. Can't wait to try the tea. One of many places to experice in this quaint little town.

This place is so charming, and feels like a mini town all on its own. It is beautifully landscaped, with photo opportunities everywhere. From 5-9 everyday, there is a free shuttle bus that runs continously from Bavarian Inn Hotel, to River Place Shops, to the Bavarian Inn Restaurant.
The shopping is great and this is also where you'd catch a ride on the ferry padded boat.
I live this place !

This is a beautiful Bavarian style shopping area with various specialty shops. Most of the stores that sell candy, chocolate, hot sauce or other food products offer some free samples. You can find a place to get an ice cream cone or coffee and enjoy walking around the area that is beautifully landscaped with shrubs, flowers, and water fountains.

This is my second time here, there’s always something about this little nice town that keeps me from coming back to it. Maybe it reminds me of every time I’ve been to Europe. Out first time back was couple years ago and it was summer but this time around we went during fall season and it’s a beautiful experience to see the colours of the leaf blends in with the vibrant colour of the shops around the area.
This place has a bunch of store for you to walk around and get indulge with different kind of experiences. It is a dog friendly mall and you’re more than welcome to walk around and take pictures around it. There’s quite a bit of parking space here and perfect place to park as well if you’re planning to visit this little town.
Overall, if your in Michigan and near Detroit area, I would definitely recommend visiting this area and explore. This little Germany town won’t disappoint you and you’ll be glad that you visited this!

We went to see the ice sculptures and the snow sculptures. Very busy place, have not seen any put traffic like that since I visited the Las Vegas Strip. There must have been 4 or 5,000 people in that town checking that Festival out when we were there. We got to see the river Ice Break while we were waiting to get out of town. That was something never saw that before in my life. Be prepared to walk a long ways as to find a parking place there is very difficult you'll be driving around a little bit to find one but you will. First time I ever been there it's pretty cool.

It was a pleasant, sunny, wintery day at the shops. It's not too cold to shop outside from store to store. The village was nice and clean. Close to restrooms. Village shops were clean and interesting, had a great time in the bookstore. What a selection! also visited the blacksmith. Enjoyed the ladies clothing shop as well as picking up some treats for my dog. They were getting ready for an ice carving show and festival...hope it turned out good.

As I mentioned in the review with the Bavarian Inn, the shops are endless!! The people of the city are kind and welcoming. It is an amazing experience. The entire city has a certain charm and feel about it. Absolutely adored the theatrics!! It’s all within walking distance. They also have carriage rides. And as I have mentioned before in other reviews, the have live entertainment every evening!! I want to definitely suggest that you look into Frankenmuth Michigan as a future vacation/holiday!! You most certainly will be glad you did!!

It is a MUST to stop by and explore the nearby/surrounding areas and shops. It was my family’s first time really exploring this area and there’s so many wonderful bakeries, souvenir/gift stores, and truly just a fun place to walk in! Love it & the Christmas air!!!
Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad is a charming 1800s-style lakeside village that boasts of 34 historic buildings and a fully operational train. The place is an ideal destination for families, especially during Christmas lighting and train rides. The train ride takes around 35 minutes round trip, offering breathtaking views of the light display on both sides.
A lovely place to visit for enjoying holiday spirit. The train ride was fun as we got to see several light displays along the ride, old time holiday songs playing and a very cozy coach! Masks are required on the train. The walk in the village is fun for older kids but with toddlers a little difficult… but they can enjoy the carousel, popcorn, hot cocoa and lighted pathways.

We loved it. We went on a day that was sponsored so there were more activities going on in addition to normal business. Everything ran smoothly & it was tons of fun. We'll definitely be returning for another train ride ❤️

A wonderful place to visit, especially at Halloween or Christmas! My family visits Crossroads Village every year for the holidays. The ghosts and goodies event lets you trick or treat your way around the many buildings and it's fun to see all the decorations. My kids love the train rides. The tickets for Halloween and Christmas trains sell out fast so definitely purchase those in advance. Otherwise tickets are easy enough to buy at the gate. During Christmas the lights are brilliant to see while strolling around the village. We love the cinnamon almonds and the popcorn at Christmas. The carousel is also fun and it goes really fast so my kids love to ride it. The Ferris wheel is another great option if the weather is nice.

This is a very fun place to visit if you enjoy Christmas themed activities and/or Christmas lights.
This is not an expensive activity. You can tour the crossroads village at no charge, and the 45ish minute train ride is just over $20.00 per ticket. I loved the train ride - the cars are old fashioned and cozy, the light displays were well.done and included a few live actors, and the conductor was really nice.
There is a Christmas play that is shown regularly inside the theatre house. There is a buffet style restaurant - I had already eaten but it looked nice. There were other snacks for sale elsewhere in the village - popcorn and almonds and coffee etc. Plenty of bathrooms, lots of cool authentic old buildings to check out - there's even a tractor towed trailer that towed people around the village or you can walk it. I loved the lights, really well done.

Attended “Day out with Thomas” yesterday and had an awesome time! First time visiting Crossroads Village and was impressed with all the different sites to see, along with fun rides for the kids. Our 2 year old loved the train ride with Thomas. We were very impressed with all the Thomas activities set up throughout the village for kids to do. A great experience and we will likely come back each year for this event!
Would recommend as a fun day event for others to experience!

Enjoyed an afternoon here with my 2-year-old! The train ride was relaxing and fun, along with having a walk around the grounds. Beyond excellent customer service all around, especially from Tanner (train staff) and Mr. Tim who were so personable and kind. I'd recommend bringing your own snacks and drinks as options are extremely limited at the café (hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese, chips). The broom-making young lady was exceptionally talented and so knowledgeable. We look forward to going again for the (very fast!!!) merry-go-round.

My husband and I went here for Halloween and now Christmas as well. This place is really amazing. I don't think I appreciated it enough when I was younger. On Halloween, they encourage everyone to trick or treat, even adults, which I thought was so cool. Halloween is my absolute favorite. The lights and displays on both Halloween and Christmas were phenomenal. It is worth every penny and I very much enjoyed myself.

Good place to take kids for Xmas lighting & train ride. Train ride is around 35 mins to & fro where you can see lights display on both sides. Village itself is small place to find how people lived 100 years ago with open houses, school, blacksmith shop etc. A carousel is fun for everyone. Overall it’s fun place to hang around for 3-4 hours. It’s in the middle of nowhere as everything is brought here from somewhere else.

I would give this place 5 stars 100% because it really was a great experience. My only issue during my whole visit was that one of the workers during the magic show was dressed up as a native American which heavily offended me and my family. Our culture is NOT a costume. Besides this mishap here are some of the highlight moments we experienced today. Trick or treating was a blast. All the workers passing out the candy were enthusiastic and patient. The train ride was an absolute joy. We sat in the back and the tour guid was so sweet and kind and the view was spectacular. The rides were really cool. The fact that buying the toys out front meant contributing to keeping the rides up made us buy extra and in general the prices were really fair. And the entire town was very clean. This is something I would recommend for any family or couple or anyone in general.

This was an amazing experience. We did the train ride and then had dinner. The train is train is pulled by a steam engine and there were Christmas displays on both sides of the track. The meal we had was very good and the village takes you back in time and was beautifully decorated. Lots of fun things for children. We would definitely go there again. Totally loved it.

It's amazing this place is still operating and maintained as well as it is! The rides are $1.50 to ride. The Ferris wheel is from 1910 and in spite of its tired squeaks, at 10mph, it feels surprisingly fast and fun. The carousel is also from 1910, operational and beautiful. There are no more animals since the pandemic, but plenty of restrooms, a candy store where for $2.00 kids can stuff a small brown bag to the brim. Staff said one boy managed to stuff over 60 pieces strategically for his $2.00 candy bag! Impressive. You can get a burger, hot dog and ice cream or walk through some of the historic shops and get a little history from theme dressed staff. The train ride is 40min., a separate fee I can't recall, but a family must. Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Railroad are open all summer, for Halloween and Christmas.

I've been coming here since I was a kid in the 70s - since my grandfather grew up nearby. I brought my kids here for the Christmas train when they were small and now it's even better as an adult with no kids in tow. Speaking of kids, if you're hoping for a more quiet evening try to avoid Friday or Satruday. We also enjoy the sweet little buffet for dinner! Great fun and so educational.

Went for Halloween 🎃 trick and treats! I have been here several other times but like it better during the holidays. The village was all decked out with spooky decorations. The opera house had a magician 🎩 show. A maze made from stacked straw bails was in the center of the village. There's a carousel and ferris wheel 🎡 ($1.50 each to ride). 20 stops for treats ending with cider and donuts. The train ride is about 40 minutes long filled with lights and decorations. Highly recommend 💚💯💯🎃🎩🎡🚂

Love this place. We have gone here almost every year since the kids were little. The train ride is super fun and telhr village trick or treating is great. We love the somewhat old sketchy rides. The carousel is the fastest I have ever seen and the Ferris wheel is nuts. Definitely worth the drive and visit.

The Big House, the historic 110,000-seat football stadium at the University of Michigan, hosted a free Spring scrimmage event that was enjoyable and recommendable. The game was entertaining, and some penalties and calls by referees made it even more amusing. Children were allowed to meet players, get autographs and step onto the field. The stadium is an impressive piece of real estate with a rich history that can be appreciated even by non-Michigan fans. Highly recommended for all visitors!
Nothing short of amazing! What an amazing piece of real estate...all the history. Our tour guide was great. He's been at it for the last 40 years. Highly recommend, even if you're not a Michigan fan. Having said that: Go Blue 〽️🏈💪

I love this place! Beautiful to see the games sell out and looking around seeing over 100,000+ people? It’s really cool! I do wish there could be some form of cushion for the seats, but that’s really it. The food tastes and is fresh for every game. Really I have nothing bad to say even walking to the stadium it’s really cool seeing the other wolverines walking and basically taking over the road lol.

A football game at the big house is an experience like no other. The atmosphere is unmatched. This is the largest stadium in North America and the third largest stadium in the entire world, so expect packed games because they almost always have sell outs. Crowds of over 100k are common place here.

Well it was our first game at the big house. It wasn't as bad as we were told. There are washrooms everywhere...
The seating is very uncomfortable. I suppose it would be if you were 5 foot tall. I'm 6'2".. I had no where to put my knees but into the back of the guy in front of me. Though I suppose it was ok as the guy behind me had his knees firmly pressed into my spine. The stadium holds 109000 though I'm betting if they changed that to 70000 you would have had more comfort. The atmosphere was amazing. Other then feeling like a sardine the whole time... it was a once in a lifetime experience.

Best stadium of any sport at any level. This stadium was meant for football. Awesome environment and the efficiency with which it handles 115,000 fans (parking, traffic, people movement, food, bathrooms, concessions, support staff, safety) is superior to any stadium - pro or college - by a long shot. The atmosphere and facilities are first rate. The fans are great. The football spirit is great. Not a bad seat in the stadium. The only criticism is that it's too crowded - well no duh, how else do you fit 115,000 fans? As a Chicagoan who travels to many different sport venues, U of M stadium is so much better than any pro-sport venue, its not even close.

This is my first time being in the big house and I have to say the people who work the lines they're the people who work in the stores they're all in a great mood everyone was in a super nice welcoming mood and I was stupid excited. Of course it was the opening day so what's not to be excited about that but just nice to be in a place where there's so many workers that were nice.

This place is awesome. Definitely would be better if they sold alcohol but i understand. O e of the greatest college football stadiums in the country. The fans around me were all good, not too crazy. Just saw the maize and blues 2022 spring scrimmage with the kids. It was a free event and I can't say how much I would recommend it. Not only the game was entertaining as always but it was additionally entertaining to hear some of the penalties and calls by the refs against the opposing sides in funny ways. The kids got to go down onto the field and meet the players and have signatures! Definitely a highlight of their spring break!

Largest stadium in the US, didn’t disappoint. Looking to watch a game with 110,000+ of your closest friends? Look no further! You’re packed in a little tight and forget leaving for food, drink or the bathroom if you’re not in an end seat, but there is no other experience like this. It was amazing, will definitely go back. Bucket list item checked off. Go Blue!

I love Michigan football. Watching the games is great. But the food is not good, huge lines for men’s bathrooms and I think there are 3 drinking fountains for 110,000 people. U of M has the means to do better.

Great place to see a game, "The Game"! The Big House holds a lot of fans and the energy is out of sight! There are plenty of food choices and the bathrooms downstairs are huge! If you don't mind a little walk, you can get out of town fairly easily. Awesome experience!

Holy Moly, this stadium is large. My bucket list was fulfilled by purchasing, flying to Michigan, and watching the Wolverines host the Buckeyes and seeing who remains undefeated between two unbeaten and powerhouse teams. I have to say, I was overwhelmed with the crowd capacity, the energetic vibe despite very cold temperatures, and the overall collegiate Big Ten Football experience. I don’t know which is better, a very hyped college game or a dynamic NFL match-up game. I highly encourage true collegiate football fanatics to come experience the vibe here at the Big House when your team comes to play here, it’s unlike any other college stadium and football atmosphere.

We had so much fun at this game! They really make these games a full experience, it was really nice - once in a lifetime type of feel. We came to a college tour and I initially got scammed on tickets (my fault). During the tour I met some other parents/alumni and they blessed us with tickets they couldn't use. If you wanna come I highly recommend planning way in advance but it was such an amazing time. Getting in was easy and fast despite so many people (100K!). You can't bring bags in, but if you forget (like me) they also have a fast and easy bag check. I was impressed how they accommodated so many people. Even for bathrooms and concessions we never waited more than 1 minute in a line. Also it's extremely accessible for those in wheelchairs. 10/10 highly recommend, if you have an opportunity to go you won't regret it!

An absolute powerhouse of an experience! The sheer magnitude of this iconic stadium is awe-inspiring. I had the incredible fortune to witness many games here, and it was nothing short of electrifying. The atmosphere was charged with excitement and passion from the devoted fans. And to top it off, witnessing 'The Game' victory here was an experience I'll cherish forever (3 times in a row!). The energy was crazy, the cheers echoing through the stadium were spine-tingling, and the shared love for maize and blue among fellow supporters was awesome. The stadium's layout ensured an excellent view from wherever I was seated, and the facilities were top-notch. This stadium embodies the spirit of college football and leaves an indelible mark on anyone lucky enough to be a part of the action. A must-visit for any sports enthusiast or Michigan fan! Go Blue

Great experience! This was my first visit to The Big House and it did not disappoint. They displayed the new light show and it definitely got the crowd hype!
It's a nightmare trying to get through the crowd so "quick" trips to the bathroom or concessions can be daunting.
Worth noting - Invest in a seat cushion. I'll be getting one with a back rest because it can become uncomfortable sitting on the bleachers after a while.

My daughter graduated from Michigan as a triple major and then got her Masters in Management from Ross. She also played in the famous Michigan Marching Band. When she graduated she was offered jobs on Wall Street, as a book editor, as an advertising executive and at Google. U of M is right in the middle of downtown Ann Arbor and so it is extremely pleasant to walk around on campus. The academic buildings are extremely nice as well, inside and out. It is a very large school so the student generally remains fairly anonymous (but if they make an effort, they can stand out) so they remain distant from the professors. The University also has tons of extracurricular activities of all kinds -- which is awesome, but does make it difficult to find time to study. Overall, it's a great place to be and offers so many opportunities, it can be an amazing incubator for professional success.

Update: the professor I had been in touch with, professor Lohmann, seems to be as unprofessional as the rest of the faculty I had the misfortune of dealing with. We had a fine zoom meeting where we discussed the program I was interested in and he’s the one that had me reach out to someone of Jennifer Alexander’s job title for further assistance as well. Lohmann was supposed to get back to me the following week and I have not heard back since. Take your money, yearning for education, and search for good mentorship somewhere else. You will not find anything of value at this institution.
Awful staff, such as Rose Cory and Jennifer Alexander. I’ve tried to go about seeking help with admissions and the only help I’ve received is from an actual professor. Rose Cory works in admissions and completely blew off our zoom meeting, later contacting saying another meeting went late but couldn’t even have the courtesy to send me a message prior to our meeting letting me know she wouldn’t be there. Jennifer Alexander is just pathetic and doesn’t do the job she’s listed to do on the schools website. I doubt I will continue to give this institution any more thought for enrollment. Absolute trash faculty.

BEAUTIFUL campus. I love every second here! So many amazing activities and extra curricular activities to get involved in over 2000! The professors are fantastic here too you can EASILY tell everyone has well over 10+ years of upper level experience. The students here… INSANELY nice as an introvert I can walk up to anyone and they’re super friendly and helpful. Biggest alumni group. HUGE school spirit even on the streets people all rep UofM. It’s a whole new loving world here. Night life is everywhere with good to high end restaurants. The roads are all proper especially for Michigan weather. Alumni donates heavily to this school. The city works with UofM to help them expand.. it’s like the whole area is family it’s incredible!
I legitimately can’t say a single negative and I am a commuter except I just wish I could drive less haha. So many parking structures lol it’s only a few minute walk. The M bus is accurate too.
Put it like this… if you get accepted to The University of Michigan.. after doing research and or visiting campus you will be going to The University of Michigan.

This is a gem of a park with tons of wild life and great places to walk your dog and hang out and BBQ. I would say, though, that once it gets closer to sunset, please make sure to wear bug spray and you are near water. Sunsets themselves are gorgeous! I highly recommend checking this park out. Excellent nature retreat in Metro Detroit. Also, you need a Metro Parks pass to get in or pay the daily admission fee. I recommend getting the pass!!

The red trail was so awesome! There is so much wildlife to see.
Many birds ate birdseed right from my hand, which was an awesome experience. The restroom was nice too. It's a building, not a Porta potty.
I highly recommend this place.
And, in some spots, the mosquitoes & flies were a bit annoying, but other than that, they weren't that bad.

Love this park! Tons of stuff from disc golf to horse riding and amazing bike paths abound. Beaches are packed in the summer, but you can find some hidden spots if you look. Fishing for anglers, paddle boats for the couples, nature center for activities and learning. One of the biggest disc golf events of the year is held at the toboggan hills. Great place to see eagles, cranes, deer, turtles, etc. $10/day and I think $55 for the year. Well worth it. Gotta check out Holdens on Milford rd for amazing food, beer pop and water, disc golf discs, fishing gear, and snacks galore.

This is my number one favorite Metropark.
During summer there are lots of fun activities for kids and adults.
You can also visit the farm area.
There are many spots for picnic, some by the water and some not.
The beach is also really nice in summer time and it gets crowded during weekends.
Fall is a whole different story here, you would see many many different colors.
If you’re planning to take good fall pictures I do recommend to go here.

It is very beautiful park to see fall color. The park is very well maintained. The sign is marked clearly. I like the most is feeding birds. Definitely a five stars.

I live on the bike trail, right next to island lake state park and Kenaington Metro. I go there most every day, twice today. And have for 10 years now. Yes, you can say I love it here
The birds, the water the bike path. The everything. is nice.

Kensington Metropark is a beautiful park located in Milford, Michigan. It is home to a variety of activities and amenities, making it a great place to spend a day with family and friends.
We enjoyed the nature trails so many birds, chipmunks, squirrels and rabbits. Some birds came very close to us and we enjoyed seeing them so close up. The boardwalk near the nature center is a good place to spot fish and we saw a huge prehistoric looking turtle. This was a nice place to visit.
William Julien — Google review
It can be a busy place on the weekend, but it’s a huge park with lots to do. Bird watching is fabulous and they eat right out of your hand (so do the chipmunks!) be prepared to drive around to the separate areas (farm, nature center, playground/beach area, splash and blast water park).
Laura Wood — Google review
I enjoy visiting Kensington Metropark as much as possible no matter the season. Feeding the many wild birds from the palm of my hand is the highlight of my visit. Many different birds may be encountered, as well as deer, turtles, and chipmunks. The Farm is always a joy to visit and pet the goats. If you get a chance right now, you may go down the sledding hills, cross country skiing and hike the paths. A place I recommend visiting anytime of the year.

Great park. Some reviews knock on the fireworks event, but when I went a few years ago it went fine. The disc golf courses are nice and challenging, and do require an extra fee most of the time. Good for hiking and biking. Nice for fall colors as well.

Great place for taking wildlife photos! Some of the bird species you’ll see are sandhill cranes, geese, red-winged blackbirds, wild turkey, herons, and swans. Check with your local library regarding free daily passes. This park has something for everyone: a farm, beaches, kayaking, bird watching, places to bbq, bike trails, and more!

Kensington Metropark is an absolute gem for nature lovers! The park's vast 4,481 acres offer a wide range of recreational activities and breathtaking scenery. Whether you're into hiking, biking, picnicking, swimming, or fishing, there's something for everyone here. The well-maintained trails and serene lakes create the perfect setting for a relaxing day outdoors.
I was particularly impressed with the variety of wildlife and birdwatching opportunities the park has to offer. It's a paradise for bird enthusiasts, and I spotted numerous species during my visit. The Nature Center is also worth a visit, providing informative exhibits and educational programs.
If you're bringing the family, the Splash 'n' Blast water park is a fantastic spot for kids to cool off during hot summer days. Additionally, the farm center is a hit with children, allowing them to interact with farm animals and learn about agriculture.
The only minor drawback I encountered was the occasional crowds, especially on weekends and holidays, but it's understandable given the park's popularity. Overall, Kensington Metropark is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a day of outdoor adventure and natural beauty.

I have been going to Kensington Park since high school. Now I take the grandchildren. The Park is always evolving and improving for the enjoyment of it's patrons. There is a beautiful, peaceful lake for boating, fishing and swimming, with very nice beaches. They have a children's splash park at one of the beaches and an amazing play scape with a padded ground below it at another. Lots of pavilions and picnic areas/tables throughout the park. Plenty of trails for hiking, jogging and biking. My favorites are the petting farm and nature center. Kensington is a great place to unwind, relax and connect yourself to nature.

Beautiful metropark to run, walk, bike, fish, kayak and more. An 8.5 mile paved path with add-on trails circles Kent Lake along with multiple fishing docks at the west boat launch parking area. Deer, sand cranes, turkeys, ospreys and eagles can also be spotted here. Great place to get outdoors all year long.

Spent three hours here and even though it was cold and drizzly, my kids and I didn't want to leave. Fed so many different types of birds right out of our hands. I recommend bringing your own unsalted peanuts/sunflower seeds or birdseed.

Love the trails to bike and hike. Don't forget your helmet. Lakes and scenery are amazing, as are the leaves right now in October.
Fun on the lake and BBQ in the warm months. And the animal farm is awesome for kids and adults.

Bucket list made! Hand-feeding birds and chipmunks, and seeing sandhill cranes up close was this bird nerd's dream trip! I made the 500 mile drive from Iowa and can't wait to visit again. This park is beautiful and well maintained.

Kensington is always a great stop for our son as well as the adults. We enjoy the Farm center seeing the goats playing, wild turkeys in the background. Constant wildlife to enjoy and many areas to check out, even the Nature center and it'd surrounding area always has multiple trails, viewing areas, wild animals almost at your fingertips.

Lots to do! I enjoy the nature walking trails, the hilly 8 mile bicycle loop, renting kayaks, and going to the beach.
I highly recommend doing the ferry boat tour of the lake, located next to the kayak rental. You will likely see bald eagles on this tour - I did. I also like the nature center.
A great place for a beach day or a picnic.
$10 entry. Lots of parking and restrooms in the park.

Mall with outlet stores for popular brands, plus an aquarium, a Legoland center & restaurants.
It was Great!! Kids loved the carousel (5 x's) lol. We went to sea life aquariums & rain forest cafe, and alot of the stores that we don't have in Saginaw anymore. Absolutely worth the trip!!

Truly a massive outlet mall with a large variety of shops for all sorts of needs. It was really spacious and felt like you can walk around for a long time. The shops all had really good deals going on and worth visiting especially if you’re coming from outside Michigan for a shopping spree.

Great mall, good variety of stores. Many food vendors and nice restaurants. Has lego land, aquarium, peppy pig and rain forest Cafe. You need to reserve those before going.
Susan Eaton — Google review
A huge mall with various choices, may take the whole day to walk around and take a thorough look at every shop, but if you know what you want to buy, it’ll just take half a day. I came here first time on a weekday, so the parking lot was rather empty. The shops were easy to navigate; you just go straight from any entrance and there would be the number of “district” for your reference. The food court has some decent options but I wish there were more. The bowling/arcade game space is a fun stop for families. Other than that, there were not many differences in terms of deals or varieties of items (you can find the same in any TJMaxx, Marshalls, Macy’s, etc.)

One of the best Malls in metro Detroit. People travel from out of town to shop here. Great Lakes Crossing is well maintained and a great destination especially in the winter months when you are looking for a place to get away from the snow. Too busy, not enough cashiers at stores. Lineups inside were sometimes 20+ minutes. A lot of selection but you really have to search for good deals. Not that many outlet stores, just brand name retail.

The shopping was good, we got great deals, but they don't have any control of traffic. It's Black Friday; they were supposed to know they would be busy and traffic would occur. We are waiting about 3 hours to get out of the parking area. (Edit) A car caught fire, and we are still stuck for 5 hours! (Edit) Seven hours total, I'm sorry, but no more Black Friday in this place.

American malls are dead... EXCEPT THIS ONE! I couldn't believe how PACKED this mall was! But they definitely are doing it right. They have improved upon the in person shopping by adding in plenty of experiences. The Rainforest Cafe is stimulating. The aquarium and lego world are engaging. All of this plus a bustling food court offer families a full day of entertainment! Well done!

It’s a beautiful mall! Very big and “Michigan Largest Outlet Center” is a quite living up to its name. It is our first time visiting this mall.
Lots of big brand store and other store that are located in this mall. Surprisingly, there is an aquarium located within the mall as well bowling alley if you want to take a break. There’s is a lot of different activities inside. Aesthetically the mall has different theme as you move on different zone.
I live layout of the mall as well, it allows you to go in one direction and very fluid. This means you can visit all the store without going back and forth. There’s a lot of parking space, it didn’t take us that long to find one. Unless it was already late by the we got there. Speaking of time, you’re going to need almost half of your day if you want to visit store and find a good deal. Make sure you give yourself that amount time.
I will be back to this mall whenever we visit Michigan again!

Nice, clean mall that reminds me of Vaughan Mills in Toronto. It has a nice play area in the food court for little children that can give them a break. I'm not sure if we were really tired but it seems like the bathrooms were very far apart. Good selection of stores, otherwise.

The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation is a sprawling space dedicated to showcasing American life and ideas. The living history exhibition hall boasts 18 intelligent touch screens and a gigantic assortment of exercises and games, while the historical centre exists in a few sections. The first includes the Museum of American Innovation, which showcases relics from the transport industry that Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat for. The museum is worth the visit for any youngster looking to learn about American history and famous figures from across the spectrum.
All of the staff was amazing! Each one spoke to you every time, acknowledged you when you entered, said bye when you left, always asked if you needed any assistance or had any questions. So so helpful and I'm so very appreciative, they were all wonderful! My son and I can't wait to go again! So many gift shops lol. Need at least 2+ hours to see it all, but it's worth it. So much history, some areas are like stepping back in time, it's so cool.

Absolutely incredible and exquisite exhibits. Everything is laid out so well you can easily travel from one section to the next, with a smooth transition in-between.
The cases are spaciously laid out as to not be overwhelming. This creates a good flowing atmosphere that keeps you moving and staring at the next item.
There's a nice cafeteria that you can eat at, but hold on to your tickets. You'll need them to get back into the museum.
The attendants are wonderful. The place is neat, tidy, and just fun. Definitely take your kids here, your wife, everyone will have something to look at here!

My family loved this walk through history. So much more than cars! We spent hours here and could have spent so much more. A must see if you ever make it to the Detroit area. Went on a Wednesday. It wasn’t overly crowded and we were able to enjoy it without feeling hampered by too many people.

This is a great place to visit! There is so much to do and see one day is certainly not enough.
If you are in the area I would certainly recommend stopping by. If you want to see it all without any rush I would recommend at least 1.5 days (assuming you take one full day). Make sure to look into the membership if visiting more than one day!
The museum is mostly wheelchair accessible and they also rent wheelchairs if needed.

The Henry Ford museum is definitely my favourite museum in Detroit. It displays a lot of history from the very beginning of motoring up to the present time. My favourite displays would be the United States presidents cars. Followed closely by the 1941 Allegheny Locomotive one of the largest steam powered Locomotives ever built. Very interesting to see also Henry Ford's kitchen bench engine, that's how it all started. There is so much to see in this museum not just cars. You can spend a whole day here enjoying yourself. I highly recommend a visit to this museum.

I’ll definitely recommend to visit this museum in Detroit. It’s so huge and you can find here a lot of different things. History of United States. Progress of different directions such as railways, cars, planes, different manual productions. They also recommend factory tour and if you get museum and factory you’ll get discount. We didn’t have enough time and went through museum only. We got tickets in the spot and were not actually even planning to go there and it was Friday so I believe you can have tickets at the door any time. Enjoy and bring your kids there are a lot of interactive elements.

It's not just about Ford history itself but about the broader history of the world.

I also took a short 30 minute free tour and it was great.

This was perhaps the best place that I've visited in a long time!! It was like a kid let loose in a candy shop. The place is absolutely gorgeous. The history behind every piece in that museum is insane, the lady at the front greeting once we entered the actual part of the museum was really really good. She gave a brief on what to expect and where. This place will take a full day to tour if you want to look and read everything. Maybe two. I would definitely visit this place again. Definitely recommended for every single age.

Incredible the history of Ford! It's a huge museum with lots to see. We didn't see everything as I think it would take a few days.
The old locomotives were a highlight for me, as well as the cars. The presidential cars was very cool to see.
I'm not a huge fan of racing but I have to admit it was very interesting yo learn about racers as athletes and seeing some powerful racing cars over the years.
Another highlight was the mathematics, airplanes, and furnishings. The doll houses were incredibly beautiful and detailed.
The Walt Disney costumes were also very cool to see up close. If you love fabric and costumes, I highly recommend to see the exhibit. It is only for a short while though.
The food was good, some variety of sandwiches, snack food and entree meal. The ladies who work there were wonderful, very funny, and very helpful. I really enjoyed the experience and hope to go back to see what I missed!

You can easily spend the whole day here if you’re into museums. There are two nice cafes inside so you can take a break if you want. The exhibits are well maintained, but the entry fee was expensive compared to other places similar to this museum.

I shared a couple pictures of my highlights of this trip. It's a pretty nice place to visit. They are lacking some restaurants or places to get some real food. I visited here about 50 years ago when I was a kid and we went to a nice Italian restaurant and had spaghetti dinner. That appears to be missing in the museum now. Their displays are awesome with a lot of history of our area and Past Times. I recommend it!

This was a really awesome place to spend the day with the family. We loved looking around at all the cars, planes, and machinery this place has on display. So much to see and do while being here; especially when you get to the race cars. We all had so much fun; kids and adults alike.
I recommend buying your tickets online in advance. It was quite easy to do and saved us time once we arrived at the museum.
We will need to come back to see the rest of the things we didn't get to spend as much time with.

Kids had fun! We ran into a volunteer who was on break but very cheerful and conversational. It was cool to see the museum sections.... we were there for about 3 hours and only saw 2/3s of the exhibits (at kid speed). You could spend multiple days here. We got a tip to bring lunch, so didn't eat at any of the places there. Kids favorite things were the pit stop crew hands on activity, going inside the locomotive, and seeing the barnstormer planes. Adults found the JFK limo more significant than the littles.

So much to see in the museum. It will take you half a day to read through everything and walk through all the exhibit. Even a quick walk through needs about 3 hours.
You learn so much on automotive, manufacturing, American history and culture, aerospace and Glass !

An excellent museum with interesting exhibits for everyone. Far from "just a car museum," it has exhibits focused on aviation, the industrial revolution, the civil rights movement, trains, and lots more.
My only regret is that we only scheduled one day to visit the museum and the Greenfield Village, whereas two days would have been the minimum in retrospect.

Beautiful time had by all. Incredible collection allowing a walk through history. The staff had interesting information and stories to share about the period and life of those during that time. We have a membership. I would suggest a day for Henry Ford Museum and a day for Greenfield Village if you're not from this area. After that, you can choose if you need additional visits.

This is certainly the go-to museum in Detroit. It showcases American innovations and progress over the century, not just car-focused. You could spend at least 2 hours in the museum alone. There’s a rotating exhibit space that brings new things in to keep it fresh for returning visitors.
There’s plenty to see and do, with sections on agriculture, furniture and housing, car racing, automobile production, aviation, locomotives, and more.
The village portion of the grounds can add about 5 hours to your visit so come prepared!

There was also a really cute miniature car set displayed, and a place where you could play a car simulator! It was a very pleasant experience :> Next time I visit MI, I will visit the factory too!○☆•°

Spectacular! You need a full day to enjoy and bring your jacket after Oct 31st!! The train usually closes at the end of October, but the Model T drive around the village is worth the money. They also have a bus, that's a great way to hear about the village. They have a horse-drawn carriage as well!!
The factory tour is fantastic, with limited photography options, but it is well worth it.
The museum is vast, and if you live here, that year pass is the way to go! Visitors take advantage of the different passes according to ride availability. You almost can't get through the museum and village unless you plan for the whole day!! A must-see for sure!

You could literally spend days here. It’s so unique and one of a kind. I came here every weekend as a kid in the 80s and it’s fascinating to see what is still here and what has changed.
Even if you could care less about cars or trains or planes this place positions them in a way that integrates them into the progression of life in America and the impact that cars (good and bad) and the social and historical context surrounding that impact.
I took my teenagers and thought they would be begging to leave but I had to drag them out at closing time.
Just go.

This was the first time my 4 year old son was at the Ford Museum. He loves anything trains and they have the biggest ones in the world. Not my words but my sons. We also went because there was a Paw Patrol exhibit that he is very into at the moment. He had a great time exploring the activities within the area. I would say he enjoyed the time, but some of the stuff he was too young to know why it was there or the history about it.

Did not expect an all round museum here! I thought it was a Ford cars showcase but here is a full innovative museum containing not just fancy cars but the history and evolution of automobile! The presidential cars is surely a highlight here, but there are more to explore! Price is 30 dollars per adult and 9 for parking. Today we were there looking at it as a possible wedding venue, and I have to say the staff is absolutely top notch. Easy to work with, prompt with excellent follow up! The materials on there own were a little confusing but when they laid them out it was very easy to understand/ budget. The wife and I had an great time during our time in the museum. A very massive museum. It would take someone at least three days if you stopped to read every placqured that would be there on every piece of equipment. Really enjoyed the history era about everyday life and the items that was used from the 1900' to 2020. The era took me back to my days of being a kid and re-visiting that era of 1980. Again its a very informative museum.

February 2024 - came here with family and friends. We had a good time with the paw patrol exhibit. A lot to see here and listen to. They have some new things since we have last visited. Race car game and they updated that area with some other things to do. Kids loved the automobile section. They added a plume market and a restaurant inside. You can buy wine from what I heard from two mom's. They have a nice gift shop and a lot of neat things to see.
The museum Greenfield Village is located in Detroit and was founded by Henry Ford. The attractions include buildings from America's history that have been relocated to the open-air museum. The land that the museum occupies is also used for forests, rivers, and pasture for horses and sheep.
Great place to spend the day. Cannot see it all in one day. One downside I would say, the trades area was not as big as I remember. Several smaller villages I know of, the have more trades. If there are multiple people entering or you know your going more than once get a membership.

If you like pioneer villages, well let me tell you, this is the Disney World of pioneer villages! It's so big, we couldn't do it all, will have to return someday. We rode the model t and carousel and train and they were so fun. Almost all the houses were staffed with knowledgeable people to explain stuff and answer questions. We had a frozen custard and it was scrumptious. Loved the crafting demonstrations. All the employees are dressed in period clothing and are so nice. Just a fantastic place. Hope to return someday.

This was a nice piece of the Henry Ford Museum/Theme Park, it is a great place to bring your kids and enjoy a day outside. Teach your kids some great American history, eat ice cream and take them for a ride in a model T. Everyone was so nice and seems like a lot of the staff have a piece of history tied to this place. I would definitely recommend a visit here while in Detroit.

The coolest museum I’ve ever been to. I love the living history and the array of buildings they have to offer. I wish more artists were at work in the crafts district. But for $40 per person I wish it didn’t cost extra to ride the train. Worth the price? Yes. But wow it’s expensive. Make sure you schedule a full day for this park!
Also it’s hard to find the ticket booth. When you enter the park, go to the building on the left. They should have a sign

Really nice place to spend a day walking around during nice weather. Lots of historical buildings that are reassembled onsite brick by brick. This includes Henry Ford's childhood house, the Wright brothers' workshop, Edgar Alan Poe's house and much more. Also got to ride around in an original working well-maintained Model-T cars with a chauffeur driving around the park, which is almost 100 years old.
Really cool place to check out! The only problem may be finding parking. I'd plan on coming earlier during the day to make sure you get a spot closer to the entrance.

We have visited the village twice now and it is still amazing. Where else can you go and see the home where the Webster American Dictionary was finished, the bike shop where the first airplane was designed and built, and the laboratory where the light bulb was perfected. So much history and American culture in one unique village. Loved it. You can see a full review and video on our blog site. Search for Our Haunted Travels.

We splurged this year for the Christmas meal at the Eagle Tavern. I highly recommend it. It was a delicious seasonal meal with great entertainment. I'm so glad that we purchased our tickets in October. Holiday Noah's was even better than ever. We were able to to enjoy the Village all night due to the mild weather. Of course a trip is not complete without roasted chestnuts and a cup of cocoa.

Attended the Christmas event they offered. We stopped by the Mini Donut Truck inside the park. After consuming the mini donuts, I got the worst food poisoning I’ve probably had in my life. I’m assuming the donuts might have been undercooked, as they had a huge line and most likely wanted to get orders out quick. The village had a few Christmas attractions, but it felt like it wasn’t as eventful as the Halloween one per se. Overall, I would give them another chance to see the village but maybe avoid the mini donuts this time.

It was fun. I think it's a bit pricey and there wasn't much reenactment. It was good information and a good history lesson. Kids enjoyed it while being good exercise. Glass blowing was awesome.

Absolutely loved it. Total package is a little pricey and food price is pretty ridiculous but we loved it. So much history in one place. Ford purchased and relocated historic homes to those 80 acre lot. Beautiful location with Model T for hire that will give you rides around the town as well as a carousel and a steam train.

Love learning about history and it is an awesome place to learn and see what life was like back then. Henry Ford didn't want us to forget our history. My boys loved it too will definitely go back.

This place is a definite must see! I can not recommend it enough for all those history buffs out there. Most of the buildings are staffed with actors who are very knowledgeable about the history of the village and are eager to share their knowledge with you. Don’t forget to buy tickets for rides on a model t, the train, and the carrousel. Be prepared for a lot of walking. Bring strollers and wagons for the littles.

Interesting open-air history museum founded by Henry Ford with houses of famous Americans that were moved to this location. OK, that feels a little off that you take someones history and make it your own. However I really enjoyed this museum and it was really well preserved and museums inside the museums. It is really difficult to have a museum (open-air) with many houses that were actually build there.

We went for the Halloween Event and had a great time, despite a bit of "witchy weather". The kids in the family had a total blast, and the staff were fantastic. Helpful, great with kids, patient, kind. All around super enjoyable.

Greenfield Village was an amazing experience we went to Greenfield Village but also to the Henry Ford Museum I took my daughter with me who's very much into learning about history and we enjoyed ourselves. All of the exhibits in the museum where really interesting and just seeing the evolution of cars and even the art pieces it was just really a great experience. Even the area that was dealing with black history was super informative I had never seen the actual bus that Rosa Parks was arrested from (and they had that actual bus) great experience for my kids. The Greenfield Village area with people dressed in the clothes that they wore back in during those times was really cool to see the cars that they drove in we rode on the train that was powered by coal... that was a really cool experience. Seeing how certain things were made like the Pottery area or area where they made the pottery and the guide told us about how it was made and what they used to actually decorate the pottery after it's been fired and glazed. Really cool and really good information. We got to see them actually blow glass they showed the actual method in which they used to create glass sculptures and things like that. It was really hot but it was really cool to watch... great experience overall! Definitely want to come back and take nieces and nephews and my other kids with me the next time that I go.

Super cool place with lots to see and do. They're going for a period correct feel and they did a pretty good job.
My only regret is only scheduling one day on our RV trip to visit Greenfield and the Henry Ford Museum. We could have easily spent a day (or more) on each one and not been bored for a second.

Can't recommend this place enough. World class museum. Outdoor activities at Greenfield Village are educational and enjoyable. It's great to visit during an off time because it's not as busy, but, Saturdays in the summer have much more interaction at the park - historical baseball games, farmers working, musicians playing, etc. I'd recommend checking the calendar of events for more! Kids play area is great.
The Detroit Zoo is an animal sanctuary that features a miniature railroad and exhibits a variety of global wildlife, including a polar bear exhibit. Visitors can take a full perimeter loop to see the various attractions, such as the ruined Detroit Children's Zoo and the restored aquarium with its paddle-nosed gar collection. The Dossin Great Lakes Museum offers insight into the region's maritime history with exhibits featuring artifacts like hydroplanes and anchors from sunken ships.
My family and I love coming to the Detroit Zoo. The yearly pass is a great value! It's a great way to get the kids outdoors, walking around and learning about the wildlife out there in the world. Many great food options are available here form snacks, to burgers, to Buddy's pizza. If you have a free day and are wondering what to do with it in the metro Detroit area, I highly suggest a zoo visit!

Was a really good experience. The lights were great had a good variety. The only complaint I would have would be they had VIP areas I guess they were called, with heaters and drinking areas, that had nobody in them. But we could not use them not even to go walk underneath a patio heater to warm up for a few minutes was kind of ignorant being that it was like 20° outside and there was nobody in these spaces except for the people GUARDING them. I HOPE IT PAID OFF FOR THEM BEING AS IT LOOKED LIKE NOBODY HAD PURCHASED VIP TICKETS. There was other people mumbling about it but all in all it was a good trip to see the lights.

Great family destination! Great for all ages! There are tons of awesome exhibits. We were excited to see the polar bears but unfortunately the entire exhibit was empty. There are tons of food options (also vegetarian options) they allow coolers too! The staff was very kind & helpful answering questions. There are multiple gift shops & tons of fun things like face paintings & silly drawings for kids.

Wow, I have been to a few zoos in my lifetime but this place tops my list.
Very walkable routes, easily accessible for all. Train ride helped with tired feet. Animal living quarters were phenomenally maintained and had beautiful scenery to look at, which the design allows patrons to get really up close to these majestic animals. Grounds were super clean and maintained. Staff were all helpful and pleasant. I really enjoyed the staff at the animal areas giving us great information about them. I totally recommend and would return.

We went on a very nice Spring day. What a nice place to walk around. There are lots of animals to see, some indoors due to the cooler weather. The free-range peacocks were a hit with our family. But the highlight was our time in the penguin complex! Just amazing to see them up close in an environment made to be like their natural habitat. Washrooms are conveniently located all around. Staff were so nice and able to answer questions. A great experience!

We went to see the wild lights for the first time. It was snowing but so much fun. Our kiddos loved it. (4&2) We were able to see a few animals that braved the snow as a bonus. The lights were amazing and our kids loved the stepping tunes the best. We enjoyed getting popcorn to takes home but due to the weather we did eat or drink there but were excited to see hot chocolate stands and other warm foods.

Love the Detroit Zoo....Always a nice time 😊. The Dinosaurs were up, which my son and I love!, and the penguin enclosure was nice and clean...the water was so clear. It was good to see the animals are being well taken care of. The Zoo itself was also clean and well maintained. We also took the train ride, which was nice, and saw a 4D movie which was awesome. I had never been to a 4 D movie...... definitely a fun experience 😃. Overall, no complaints about this visit. We had a nice time.

Lovely day today! Zoo was clean, beautifully manicured, bathrooms were clean.
Brought my father in his wheelchair and the pathways and exhibits were easy to navigate.
The 4D movies were excellent and had delightful surprises in the seats - see it for yourself!
All personnel were courteous and helpful.
A delightful surprise in the middle of the city! We were partial to the butterfly exhibit!

What a great experience! Plenty of places to sit and rest with lots of shade to cool off, misters and water refill stations located throughout the zoo. Lots to see and most of the animals were pretty active. The food was all delicious and reasonably priced. The bathrooms were pretty well kept. We never felt over crowded or like our personal space was invaded as there were wide walk ways and plenty of room to move about. We spent about 5 hours at the zoo and it was time well spent!

We went to see the holiday lights at night in December. The paid the basic entrance fee none of the all you can eat or add on tickets. It was beautiful and very fun. Very creative light displays, especially the under the sea section.

We bought the daytime zoo visit and night light bundle, which was well worth the price. We entered the zoo around 3 pm and saw many animals including penguins, camels, otters, tigers, chimpanzees/gorillas. We didn’t finish visiting all of the animals because of time limit. We should have been there at 2 pm, which would allow us to visit the whole zoo before closure. So please plan well and have at least 2 hours for a full zoo tour. The night lights show was also amazing and interactive. We made wishes at the giant wish tree, which was a great memory.

Reasonably priced zoo with lots to see and do in a generally busy area. We went there recently for my birthday and we had a pretty good time! Haven't been there since I was a kid, so it was nice seeing the new penguin exhibit.
The enclosures here are spaced out and quite beautifully done. All the animals look happy and healthy. My favorite enclosure was the kangaroo one— it was super cool being able to go inside their habitat and walk alongside them.
Despite being the off season, almost all the exhibits were open, including a few restaurants. We spent a good three and a half hours there, taking our time to walk around. There's a lot of scenic walking trails, too.
Overall, definitely the nicest zoo here in Michigan! It's really well managed, and everyone that works here is very friendly.

Okay, so if you read negative reviews about this zoo, they were wrong. This park is nicely spaced out and features an open-air viewing of most exhibits. The food is on par with what you'd expect from a popular attraction. It is not the best burger you'll ever eat. It's not the worst either. The price is comparable to other parks. I have been too and cheaper, in my opinion. We spent the entire day at the zoo enjoying the various exhibits and attractions.

Go into the buildings! Look around! There's a lot of hideaways and interiors that people just kept walking by. The backside of the rhino exhibit was entirely empty and it was right beside them! Look at my pic! Zoo is very well built up and they take great care of the paths. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, willing to share without hesitation. Food staffing were great too! I'm very impressed.

Kids have fun, but the zoo seemed like it had a lot of exhibits that were closed or under construction, and there was a lack of open vendors when the zoo was aware that the large groups of schools coming that day, it was a warm day when it got xloser to noon & so the kids wanted frozen drinks but they ran out of $10 cups so they could sell them in regular cups for the same price. All in all I prepaid the ticket & parking but there are no signs to tell you where you park but the attendant asks if you bought parking. You really need 3 hours to visit the zoo nicely. Hopefully, they have all the exhibits open when & if we return again.

Got pictures with a polar bear so already 5 stars just because of that. Sharon was super helpful at the penguin exhibit. She told us many interesting facts and pointed out what each penguin was. The butterfly and bird sanctuary were nice because it felt like it was not winter. The fresh air from the plants was nice.

What an absolutely amazing place for long walks and sightseeing. All the variety and nature wonders and exotic animals to see. Except for the beaver 🦫. I have never seen the beaver. It’s supposed to be there, but never been seen. One time i saw a couple of visitors passing by and one way saying to another: “I don’t think there is a beaver in there. They just have a sign 🪧 but no beaver in there” 😂 Hopefully one day I’ll get to see that shy one in there. Zoo is well taken care of , very clean , spacious, animals are well treated and look healthy and nicely taken care of. It’s not an easy work. But staff is doing a really great job. This is a historic place and I’m happy to be a member and enjoy it as often as possible. Highly recommend to get a membership as it’s totally worth it! And hopefully I’ll get to see that beaver one day 😊

Detroit Zoo is a world class zoo with conservation at its core. It’s open all year round, though in certain weather, some exhibits will be closed with animals viewable from indoor enclosures. Additionally, warm weather activities like the carousel, face painting, etc., as well as some of the eateries close during the winter.
Table28, the zoo’s main restaurant is open year round and the prices compare to an average diner. There’s also a cafe to get coffee, espresso and tea drinks. Fun fact: Table28 was named for the opening year, 1928.
There are tons of picnic areas and places to rest. You will likely see at least one of the many peacocks roaming free around zoo grounds. There is also a playground for younger kids.
Will plan add more photos after our next visit. Don’t be like me and make sure your phone is sufficiently charged before you go. ☺️

Christmas wild lights was spectacular! Was here 5 years ago, so glad we came back, there is now a theme to the lights and I really enjoyed the ocean/sea creatures theme! Was so much fun to visit with family over the Christmas holidays. Parking was easy ($8), staff were present to guide you to a spot. It was very festive, the kids loved all the lights. There was a small interactive corner with the wishing tree, see saw, lit up train and bear for the children to hang out. Lots of little rest stops selling hot drinks and snacks to warm up in if you got too cold. There was a nice carousel in the middle so the children loved that! Overall we had a lot of fun and spent about 1.5-2hrs here!

It was only a 35 min drive from my place in Canada, so there was convenience. Parking was great and organized. Pay when you get tickets. I don’t know if we missed some, but it only took about an hour to walk through and we stopped and Waited for hot chocolate at one of the stores. The areas were clean and the ground was even and easy to walk through. The difference between our local lights and this, their displays were huge and had so many fun animals. So many children were there just loving the atmosphere.
It’s rather expensive in my opinion. Parking and 2 tickets cost $81 Canadian, our local lights are free, and has local vendors selling their products and food trucks and it seems to cover a similar amount of ground, the displays are just a bit smaller at home

Cool Zoo, just make sure you go in season. Early spring, many renovations are going on and animals don’t seem to be as active. Make sure you eat first, because as expected, food is $$$$. If you get a chance to go for the Christmas lights, those are amazing.

The Detroit Institute of Arts is an art museum located in Detroit, Michigan. It was founded in 1885 and has since grown to house over 100 galleries with a range of American and international art on display from ancient to modern eras. The Beaux-Arts building was designed by Paul Cret and quickly became the temple of art, adding two wings in the 1960s and 1970s.
The Detroit Institute of Arts was an absolutely amazing experience! The exhibits, architecture, and artwork are top notch and this is one of my favorite museums I have ever visited! We spent all day here and I feel like we still didn't even scratch the surface. If I could change anything I would have planned to come right at opening so we could experience this for the entirety of opening! You will be amazed at the beauty of this museum, I highly recommend it!

This place is beautiful! The staff is so wonderful and friendly and helpful. You can buy tickets once you get there but if you buy them in advance, it goes faster. Elevators and stairs, bathrooms on every floor. 3 floors total. Price of tickets aren't bad either. Went to the Van Gogh exhibit, but will definitely be back to see the rest.

Good museum with a variety of collections. A variety of collections from across the world. Some areas are better represented than others in terms of history of the art from the region.
Some interactive bits across the galleries for young patrons. A few more interactive moments would be nice, and would provide more talking points for groups who visit the galleries.
Asia, Africa, and Hellenistic collections are good introductions to the arts. The gallery on Egypt showcases select pieces, and makes for a great introduction to the culture. Native American section represents art pieces from the south, central and north America. Residents of Wayne county have free entry on select days at the museum.

such a great place! The tour guides are phenomenal. The art is beautiful, the facility is beautiful, and there is so much enriching education to be had, including history! I enjoyed reading about the history here. The displays are well thought out, and there are even ways for the kids to get involved, including a "seek and find" in certain rooms.
I took a public tour and it was really engaging and a wonderful way to learn about the museum, the artists, the art, and the story behind it all.

There is just so much to see. I could spend days just staring at the artwork. Mind you I am partial to art. We went and they had a car exhibit and they were so unique. Also seeing a real life van Gogh painting was really cool. I'd definitely go again. They also had art from Mexico, middle east, native Americans, Japan and Korea. I love international art so it was fun to look at everything. Also seeing a real life mummy was really cool but creepy to think there's a skeleton in there.

Fantastic art museum with friendly staff members! Upon entering, I was met by an enthusiastic staff member who explained the layout of the museum to me, and then struck by the majestic Great Hall. But the highlight lied beyond the great hall - seeing Diego Rivera's Detroit Industry Murals in person was such an awe-inspiring experience! There were staff members stationed in the area, one of whom had a great chat with me surrounding my questions about the murals.
The Rivera murals was not the only reason that made the visit worthwhile - I found that the museum has quite a comprehensive art collection, not just of Western art movements from medieval to modern times, but also of non-Western art. The African and Islamic galleries were pretty good-sized, although the Egyptian gallery was a bit disappointing. It would have also been nice if the museum put more thought into the re-creations of the cultures' architecture; the current re-creations seemed half-baked with artifacts combined with modern materials.
Depite that, the interior architecture of the museum was quite varied and worth seeing for an architecture enthusiast. I liked the modern designs of the stairs and Prentis Court as well as the historic-comtemporary charms of Kresge Court (which very well reflects the identity of the city!).
In all, I only had 2.5 hours to spend at the museum and that was only enough for an in-depth visit to about half of the galleries. A jewel and a must-visit in the city!

One of the absolute most unique and interesting collections I have ever seen. Not many public art facilities match up to DIA. It can get crowded but the staff is willing to lend knowledge even if you aren't on your. The lady that explained the Diego Rivera mural was the highlight of the day.

I am a huge museum visitor, and this collection is by far one of the best I’ve seen in the US. Not only that, but the courtyards are stunning. I only spent about five hours here and saw maybe 1/3? I recommend visiting it over two days. Enjoy lunch or drinks in the cafe- the flatbread and summer drinks were amazing.
All in all, this is one of my top places to visit recently. I highly recommend.

The museum has an amazing and diverse collection. My particular favorites were the Native American, Impressionists, and Modern exhibits. And the gift shop is a collection all by itself! Amazing! I even enjoyed the curry chicken salad at their Cafe.

One of the highlights for sure is to see the Diego Rivera mural. This mural is enormous in size and absolutely mesmerizing. This will be my second visit here and I really enjoyed both of my visits. During this last visit I had the opportunity to see a wonderful photography exhibit by James Barnor, this series followed his work from his early days of filming in black and white to his later years of using color. I enjoyed the photos so much I bought his book. I love this museum and will continue to visit it each time I pass through Michigan. Detroit is a fabulous city with much more to offer than expected and this museum is the same. Parking is easy, staff are friendly and helpful, there is a cafeteria and a indoor cafe that feels like you are in an outdoor courtyard. There is a great gift shop, beautiful building, clean bathrooms and many exhibits of all types. Whatever type of art you are interested in they have something that will satisfy! Support the arts and this community and pay a visit here and just down the street check out the modern art museum as well.

A tremendous collection of art pieces from all over the world, covering centuries of different cultures. Very impressive and certainly a “good deal” for the cost of entry.
I would knock off 0.5 stars if it were possible, simply because the layout of the rooms becomes very confusing and you may end up missing some exhibits because you almost get lost on the floors.
Wish the flow was just a bit better organized…

I spent a great deal of my childhood at this museum and was very excited to bring my family. The Diego Rivera is a must but there are a great many musts, and it is very kid-friendly. They had a cozy coffee cafe in the courtyard and a lunchroom. It is still an amazing collection, impossible to see everything in a single visit, and I am looking forward to returning on our next visit to Michigan.
Our visit was on the weekday. We found street parking that was good for 2 hours only. Download the app; you can renew only exactly when the 2 hours is up. Backpacks are not allowed. The front desk directed us to the FREE and secure lockers.
The only downside was we had 3 interactions with security; two for being warned that we were too close to an exhibit (?) and the 3rd for leaving out of an exit door behind other patrons only to be told it wasn't an exit. A sign off to the side said "Emergency Exit". Very poorly placed. Oddly enough, I've heard this same complaint from other patrons both friends/family and on Internet reviews.

An impressive place. I heard a rumor, years ago, that the city was thinking of selling off the art in an attempt to raise cash to avoid bankruptcy. I'm very glad that didn't happen.
This is a really nice museum! Three floors with exhibits from Native Americans, S. Korea, Africa, South & S.E. Asia, Egypt plus the more expected European (Italian, British & Dutch when I was there (3/21)) works. Marble busts, huge canvases, metalwork, ceramics, masks, beadwork and more.
And if you live in the three counties (Macomb, Wayne & Oakland) you get in for free. The parking is $7 across the street.
We (my teenage son & I) meandered thru in just over two hours, saw all three floors, but didn't linger anywhere. Kind of a "drive by" viewing experience.
Guided tours and school groups were also there on the 1st day of spring.

This is truly a world-class museum. In my particular area of interest, Medieval through Baroque art, the collection is equal to the best. The Dutch and American paintings have few peers. This is an encyclopedic collection, and there are excellent Native American and Asian sections, although the Egyptian and Classical collections are not a strong point. I spent three blissful days here and didn't see everything; I'll definitely be back!

A hidden gem in Detroit. It is a wonderful museum that is well worth a visit! The building itself is beautiful, and it has some truly special and iconic art pieces by artists such as Picasso and Van Gogh.
The Comerica Park is a baseball stadium located in Detroit, Michigan. It was built in 2000 and is the home of the Detroit Tigers. The stadium features a 50-foot Ferris wheel and diverse food court.
I am a huge fan of the Detroit Tigers and baseball in general. Each time I come to Comerica Park I leave with everlasting memories. The prices of food and drinks is a little high but coming to a game is the best experience ever. Come out to a game and support your Tigers!

Absolutely wonderful stadium!! We came here for the first time this past weekend to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert and it was absolutely wonderful! VERY clean, very good security, comfortable seating, very easy to find sections for seating too. Super friendly staff at all the food stands and nice fresh tasty food. By far one of the best stadiums I've been to! The concert was well put together and went wonderfully. The security check before entering was smooth and very fast and friendly. Even very easy to find parking areas all over by the stadium as well! All in all a really great experience. Highly recommend attending a concert or ball game here!

This is a beautiful park and a great baseball experience. The layout is great, beautiful Tigers at the home plate, and not a bad seat in the hose. We got to enjoy Beach night and Friday night fireworks which was a great 15 min show.
+Visual effects of video board were amazing!
-Audio in the stadium could be better. We could hear all of the mids/highs, but could not hear any of the bass. Need to get some better subs in the upper decks!

Great atmosphere at this park (was my. Buddies favourite of the 3 we visited this trip). Parking was cheap and easy... Leaving not so much. Food and vendor options were cool - and you could see Ford Field which was neat. Nice view from where we were sitting. Overall great time.

What a great stadium! My family and I were up from Indiana and attended our first Tigers game. Let's see where do I begin. This stadium does have a bag/purse policy. So if you plan on attending a ball game, make sure your purse is a wristlet 4 x 6. We had no issues bringing my granddaughter stroller in. It was actually a breeze going through security. The decor of Tigers 🐅 displayed in and around the ballpark was great. This ballpark is very kid friendly. My granddaughter enjoyed riding on the carousel. The 💺 were comfortable compared to some other stadiums.

Very nice park, been to over half the current MLB parks and lord knows how many of the old parks. This is a nice park. Friendly staff, not a bad seat. I got a great seat for $28. Beer, hot dogs, and Major League Baseball...what else can you ask for in America?

I have no complaints. I do, however, have a confession 🤦♀️. I'm not a huge baseball fan. 😬 This was my first major league baseball game. We were invited by friends so we weren't going to turn the opportunity down. I felt like the stadium was very nice, clean and a lot of food and drink options. Obviously not without draining your pockets, but that is expected at any sports venue.

The stadium is great. I will say if you are going for handicap friendly seating, try to stick to the terrace level. They are about $56 a person but put you in better seats that are more accessible.

Comerica Park is so far the best baseball field I have been to. They have so many great food options including the classics like hot dogs and sausages, along with fair food like corn dogs and elephant ears, and others like tacos, nachos, pizza, ice cream, and more. There were a lot of people there but I never felt crowded. The seats have a lot of space around them. It was a very fun and comfortable experience. Got to stay for Friday night fireworks and there was such a fun and exciting vibe as they were getting ready for a decently long show!

Whether you're a die-hard baseball fan or simply seeking a fantastic outing, Comerica Park offers an unforgettable and enjoyable time at the ballpark.

Decent ballpark. The tiger and baseball statues outside of the stadium and the merry-go-round inside the food area are pretty cool features. It’s always fun to go there and catch a few games.

My daughter and I went to the Tigers vs. St. Louis Cardinals games on May 1, 2024. We had a great time. It was her first professional baseball game.
We walked around and saw the carousel and different statues that were there.
If you buy food and drink, be prepared to spend about $100 on 2 people... plus souvenirs. I forgot my hat and had to buy a new one while I was inside. The hat was about $30. The cheapest food item I saw was $6. And that was for a bottle of water.
Overall, we had an amazing time watching them play!!!

We were in town for a concert at the Masonic Temple and my husband surprised us with Tigers tickets, what a nice surprise, we had a blast even though it was a chilly/damp/windy 39° and cloudy. The fans were dedicated and enthusiastic.

Not impressed with the Kiosk system. People INSIDE were Great- people At Ticket windows, rude as can be, AS IF they're Doing You a favor getting paid to sell or accept tickets. Poor setting for concert- concrete baseball bleachers. Prices are Disgusting- 8.95 for a Hot Dog on rollers. 8$ for a 16oz water. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING AREA. Not enough restrooms, vendors, nada. We went. We enjoyed the show- from damn near the furthest row away from the stage. No Regular beer, All Craft or Light. We agreed, we don't care to go back. It was an experience we'd never had, and, neither care to go a second time. Not even for a ball game.

It's a nice ballpark and although it seats over 41000 feels like a small ball park. The park is athletically pleasing and has great team details on the facade. It's a great ballpark to visit if you are a fan of the team or just enjoy baseball in general.

Comerica Park in Detroit, Michigan offers an unforgettable experience for baseball fans. From the moment I stepped foot inside, I was immersed in the excitement and energy of America's favorite pastime.
The stadium itself is impressive, boasting modern amenities and a vibrant atmosphere. The seating was comfortable, providing excellent views of the field from every angle. The cleanliness and well-maintained facilities added to the overall positive experience.
Comerica Park's location in downtown Detroit is convenient, surrounded by a lively atmosphere and ample parking options. Exploring the area before or after the game added to the overall enjoyment of the outing.

Absolutely amazing MLB venue, home of the Detroit Tigers. Went to the game on Miguel Cabrera Day...jersey give away, Tiger's hat/ sunglasses swag games give aways inside the park. Great fan experience for food, drinks, and rest areas. Plus Ga great selection of team products at the D Shop.

Fantastic views of the city can take your eyes off the game at times. One of the best baseball venues in the country.
Even with multiple events close by and on a weekend night plenty of parking was available with a short walk.
Detroit has never been better so take in a game and spend time in the city to eat snd shop.

Great ballpark. Really loved that I could walk around the ballpark on path between lower sections and watch game while I walked to concession areas. Not as many TVs around like other parks, but was definitely a great experience sitting behind visiting bullpen.

This was my first visit to Comerica park and it was a really nice stadium. I did not explore a lot of the concessions or anything, but from what I saw there were many food and drink options.
The seating was nice as it wasn't as steep as some stadiums are in terms of the layout. Nice skyline views when looking to the outfield.

Had a great time. Food is the best out of all the sports arenas around there. The Mexican place in the food court is amazing! You can't go wrong everything good. Great service. Remember you can't take a big bag or purse with you. If you do you have to leave in car or check it in. Service employees at the shops were all so nice. Great atmosphere would definitely go again. The musicians outside of park were phenomenal!

What a fun stadium to enjoy a game at. I've never attended a concert here, but baseball is a blast.
Tons of entrances make it easy to get in. Lots of food and drink options, just be ready for stadium prices. Stores to get merch and a lot of tributes to see walking around.
Tons of things for the kids and the whole family including photo opportunities and rides.

Great ballpark! All the seats are decent, even in the upper levels. Concessions prices are high, but where aren’t they high? Good choices for food, though, and they do carry Pepsi products if you’re wondering. Our seats were in 314 for these photos.

Had a great family night out! The Tigers didn't win, but it was a fun game anyway! Even if you aren't that into baseball, it is a great place to go for the food, activities for the children and great atmosphere! They do have a purse/backpack and diaper bag rule now, so be aware of that. You can't bring in purses or bags over a certain size, but they do offer complimentary bag check! I gave them my bag, and they took my name and phone number and gave me a ticket to bring back to retrieve my bag after the game. You can go pick it up at any time, of course, and you have up to 30 minutes to go get it once the game is over. It was a very efficient and smooth process! In all, it was a great evening and game. The food is always great and there is always something for everyone, just make sure you bring enough money. It's by no means super expensive, but not super cheap either. You do get what you pay for by way of quantity and quality, so that is a plus! In all, I can't wait to go back!

This used to be my favorite place to go. But this time before it's great, it's actually uncool. We booked our tickets online, we got in, - but were not able to go to our seats. Understandable, - it was raining and the game was delayed. Everyone needed to be undercover (because of lightning and heavy rain).
Once you're inside the venue you can't re-enter. Very much of a downside if you have kids. Often you forget something in the car (girlfriends or kids phone), or you need to medicate.
Also smokers have to survive without smoking for several hours. (The smoking section has been permanently closed ) They will not accommodate the customer, won't create a smoking section or even let people re-enter after they like to smoke outside.
We spent for 2 of us close to 1k for for just this day, including tickets, parking, food, drinks and updated fan attire - we like to support,
The drinks are expensive....... You can buy for sure a 12pack for the price of one beer here, - a water bottle is half the price, impressively similar is a cocktail .....
After all, we'll not be back unless we get invited - but even then I'll warn my friends about the smoking

Went to see the Cardinals play in Detroit at Comerica Park, located in downtown Detroit. Solid park. I love a ballpark downtown. It’s a modern stadium with two iconic features… the tiger statues and the outfield fountain.
Loved all the marketing using the D. I sat in the lower bowl with club access. The club was fantastic and offered elevated food for a ballpark like salads and wrap. Oh and probably my favorite thing was the Baseball Ferris Wheel.
Glad I went. Cards lost. :o(

Lines to get in were long, with limited metal detectors. I do appreciate they had a few at least. The food options were minimal and everything we had was awful. Nice jersey giveaway upon entrance. Tigers lost. Fans were cool. Stadium seems small compared to some others.

Comerica Park was a pretty nice ball park. Originally from St. Louis and Busch Stadium is nowhere near as nice as this. So much room to walk around a lot of food choices. There could be a few more bathrooms but all in all a really great place to visit.
The Blue Water Bridge is a stunning architectural marvel that connects Sarnia to the United States, offering breathtaking views of the sky-blue water and beautiful waterfront. This border community provides easy access to major markets in both Canada and the U.S., making it an ideal destination for travelers. The bridge itself may not be as visually striking as others, but its functionality and efficiency make it a popular choice for crossing between the two countries.
I always love making my way to the bridge. Not only is it amazing to have a border crossing so close to home for the purpose of travel. It's also beautiful just to see all year round.

Entry point from Canada to the US State of Michigan. Great view from the bridge. Very long wait for the people in cars. One single lane dedicated to cars. Towards the US end it sub divides into approximately seven lanes for border clearance. Post this , it all depends upon your luck how much of traffic you may face. Going either ways, it’s exactly the same story.
At the same time the Officials manning the respective posts are extremely cordial while performing their checks.

The water in August is not as blue as the one in June and July. Near the shore it was light green instead of crytal blue. The snake along shore in the park now is much bigger and longer. You have to except the bad traffic on some days and the great engineering of the massive bridge that crosses the St. Clair river. A beautiful area to watch the ship go down stream or enter the mouth of Lake Huron. French fries are available as well as a playground for the lil monkeys. Bring a light jacket for those cool evening visits. Also fish feeding is available at the Blue Water Fish Hatchery (not sure if that's the appropriate name).

One of the main bridges between Canada and the US.
We take this crossing a lot as we go to Toronto often.
The bridge itself is nice, not particularly pretty like the Ambassador bridge or Mackinaw bridge but it's very functional and moves fast.
The border patrol agents are all over. Some have been very polite and others are clearly on a power trip and looking for trouble but that seems to be the general vibe from all US government agents.
The fee is $3 for a car and is more than fair.
Crossing here is fast and most of the time an uneventful trip.

Point Pelee National Park is a small but scenic area located at the southernmost tip of Canadian mainland that features numerous beaches and opportunities for observing birds and butterflies. The park's location on a migratory bird path makes it an ideal spot to view various species of winged creatures, including Monarch butterflies. Visitors can stroll along boardwalks in the marshes, climb lookout towers for breathtaking views, or relax on sandy beaches.
Went for the 2022 birding festival. It was amazing. Park is really well kept. There are active conservation projects ongoing within the park, which is nice to see. All the staff were amazing. It's about 9$ per person to gain access for the day. 2 shops. They sell small snacks (chips candy etc) and cold drinks, so you need to pack a lunch for yourself. Nice clean bathrooms. Our guided tours for the birding festival were AMAZING. The tour guides were so so friendly and knowledgeable. Would 100% book those again.

The Southern-most point on the Canadian mainland is worthy of a full day trip. The marsh boardwalk is amazing and best enjoyed when the sun is not overhead. Park is huge. There were webs of caterpillars scattered throughout the park ,blanketing the trees. It was very strange to see the density and quantity in the park. Very beautiful greenery. Arrived at the visitor center, very fun viewings and exhibits. Free shuttle to the main attraction of the Ontario 'tip'. It was a short walk to the point where you take a pic and move on as tourists are in a constant rotation.
I loved the park, the extensive shoreline and beach scenery but I absolutely hated one major thing: the flies, the swarming insects that bombard you like they are protecting the park from human intruders. It was so bad ,no amount of repellent prevented their never ending attacks. Had to cut the trip short around that area. Still worth the trip. There are other park spaces to explore..one area in the marshes was very nice.Lots of birds and you can rent a canoe in groups or solo. Won't return but I am glad I experienced the park.

We were really lucky to get the best weather in August 2023 as Canada got the majority of rain during the summer months!
We drove right up to the visitor center and took the mini train to "The Tip." The train ride is not only cute but super scenic 😍
It's around a 10 - 15-minute walk (depending on your speed) right to the end, and yes, it's truly nature's wonder seeing blue waters on both sides as you walk the stretch of sand. The west waters are more aggressive, while the east side is calm. So if you stop on the beaches marked along the way, choose the one on the east side.
Once back at the visitor center, we were able to catch the snake show at the auditorium. They have a cute little gift shop in there and a small discovery center for kids to explore around. The washrooms are clean and well maintained. A must visit for all!!

There are hikes (I don’t think they’re very challenging), picnic areas, swimming beaches, and lots of other activities to do. I loved going to the tip area, and the scenery was just incredible. I also love the range of sceneries you can get at this park, to Sandy beaches and rough waves to just kilometres of marsh (highly recommend the marsh boardwalk, by the way). Magical Lake side park location and one of the most beautiful yet most underrated parks in Ontario!
It's a large park with many small destinations for you to look for, varying from camp sites to beaches to nature reserves. And the nature reserves (wetlands) area is a must-go! It features a long floating bridge/track to walk into the wetlands and enjoy what it has to offer. Because it's a nature reserve, you can see birds, swans, insects (not the ones that bug you). There's also an observation deck to check on the whole area, amazing!
The other famous attraction from the park the the point of course, which is where the park get its name from. So I heard it has a nickname "Ontario's Maldive". I'd say it definitely live up to it (aside from the fact that you cannot get into the water because of generous tides). Taking the park's own tram takes you to the southern most pit of Ontario, which is already a pleasant experience. You'll get the best view to Lake Erie and the shiny sand, all of which give you the vibe of Maldive and tropical scene.
Highly recommended!

We visit Point Pelee once a year and it never disappoints. We go during the week in September and its never too busy. We can always find a spot on either side of the peninsula on the beach to chill with our dogs. The trails are always well groomed and all the facilities are clean. Dogs are welcome (on leash) and the cost for the day is excellent, $7.50 per adult, much better than most conservation areas and tons more to explore. Youth under 17 years of age are Free!
The boardwalk Marsh walk is also very nice and an easy walk for those that may struggle on the trails.

Took a trip to Point Pelee for the day and spent about 6-7 hours here just walking around and enjoying the fresh air, also reading all the historical signs and donated benches from families who have been enjoying the park for generations. It was absolutely beautiful, we did take a moment to dip our feet in the water but of course NOT BY THE POINT!! We found out that it’s actually really dangerous to go anywhere in the water towards the point because of the rapid currents and you can definitely see them from land. I definitely want to come back but with bikes this time! (If it’s not the middle of the summer season bring a long sleeve or jacket, it tends to get really cold and breezy)

Great weekend getaway!! Loved visiting the Tip, southernmost point of Canada. Beautiful sights to behold on Lake Erie. Gravel beaches with ample space for picnic and swimming. Took a five into the history of the park by visiting the Delaurier homestead.

A great place. Really cool. The southern most point of Canada. It was gorgeous. The staff were friendly. Washrooms were clean. Cute little gift shop. Great museum like space. The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is because the awesome observation tower at the tip was closed.

Have always loved coming here since I was a kid. Makes a great day trip from Windsor to check out the boardwalk, the trails and the point. Always make sure I get out there every year one way or another.

This is a park suitable for visiting at any time of the year. Those who like romance can come in late autumn, but there are also moving beautiful scenery in the snowy winter. The town is quiet and peaceful, with a harmonious atmosphere, delicious food, beautiful scenery and friendly locals. It is THE place to escape from the city and take a break.

Pinery Provincial Park, situated on the pristine shores of Lake Huron and located just outside Grand Bend in Ontario, is a vast coastal park area spanning 21 square kilometers. The park offers a plethora of outdoor activities year-round, including hiking and biking trails, groomed ski trails, camping options ranging from car camping to group camping in cabins or yurts.
The beach view is great! I won't recommend it for hiking tho. It's very flat. But a great place for camping! We went in mid-April and it was still cold. It snowed one night. You want to get prepared with a thick sleeping bag for -15/-20 degree temperature to keep warm.

Beautiful beach!
One of the best beaches in Ontario.
Breathtaking colors, clean shallow beach, safe to swim for kids as well.
There are pebbles along the shoreline, few steps into into the water, sensitive feet may require water shoes.
Cool camping sites.
Washrooms and changing rooms may need some improvement.
Weekends are quite busy with 10-20 minutes waiting time at the entry gate.
Overall beautiful, good experience!

I love this park! Lots of nice trails and the beach is beautiful. There is a dog beach as well. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Lots of activities to do as well. You can rent canoes and kayaks as well as bikes to go trail riding.
You have to pay for day use or book your campsite online. I advise doing this early so you can be sure to get a good spot.
Lots of bathrooms and they even have showers at some of them too. Be sure to get a park map so you can find where all the amenities are throughout the park.
Amazing views, a beautiful place to spend the day.

Went there for camping for 2 nights this summer. Some campgrounds are so small. And the washrooms near by the camping area doesn't flush very well and smells around the faucet. The electrical washrooms, however are good.
The beach is so good to have fun. Loved the waves. Definitely will visit it again

Piney Park was a beautiful place to visit. The beach was lovely, the water was clean and crisp. The park is well-maintained, considering how big it is. This isn’t a complaint for the staff or even the facilities. The only reason I gave it four instead of five stars is because the park is huge. It’s just not the vibe that our family likes, and we weren’t expecting it. There is a lot to do within the park, with a store and a separate rental space. But you have to drive everywhere, or accept that bike rides will be longer than at most provincial parks. That means with two kids under four, you are having to use the bike trailer to go everywhere instead of having them bike themselves. Same goes for putting the kayak’s in, since you can walk if from your site. Cars also really drive way too fast in the park, and the speed limit didn’t seem to be enforced. The nearby Grand Bend was really a great place to visit off-site, and if we went back we’d spend a full day there. As my kids get older, I’m absolutely sure that this four star will turn into a five star. But I just want parents to know what to expect! It’s kind of like visiting Algonquin, but without the highway.

Beautiful park. Great for first time campers and family’s with small children! They have kayak, canoe, and bike rentals, a well-stocked park store with groceries, a small restaurant for something quick to eat, and a cute ice-cream shop. They also have activities and programs for kids (check their calendar) and amazing trails.
The beach is amazing but there are a lot of rocks on the shore so water shoes are very helpful. The dunes beach (accessed only if you’re camping there) is beautiful but the parking gets full QUICK and is a great spot for the sunset. The day/use beaches P1-9 are great but the further you go, the harder the trek is to the beach from the parking. The easiest accessible lot (non-dog beach) is P3&P4.
The bathrooms and showers are cleaned between 2pm and 3pm everyday, and the park staff are very friendly!

We always wanted to go to this park and finally could do it on a very chilly weekend 🥶. We went for day use only and had our parking pass booked online. The map given to us at the entrance was very helpful and showed us a very detailed view of the park. We headed to the P2 parking lot at the beach and started our walk on the very very beautiful and sandy beach . It was cold, windy and very chilly on a sunny day but the walk was so worth it with the calming sound of the waves of lake Huron and almost the entire beach available to us, there were hardly 8-10 people that we could see as far as our eyes could. There are many viewpoints on the map, but honestly all the views are the same 😁. If you are parked at the P4 parking lot ,then you can watch the lake from your car. There are park stores, a visitor center and a cafeteria in the park but they are open only during the summer(post May). So, during the off season please pack a picnic and enjoy a fun day walking, swimming, running and on the beach. We waited until sunset and watched one of the most beautiful sunsets that we have in Ontario. Please note that there are no lifeguards on the beach.

We went for an camping 2 days back. Place was good and mainly properly maintained.
All the restrooms were clean and the best thing is they don't have vault toilets everything is a proper ones and which is good.
We enjoyed a lot. Good place for big family and friends.

The park staff are nice and friendly! The campground/park is well maintained and very clean! Some areas of the park (trails, campgrounds, etc…) are closed for the season but there’s still a few trails that are open. The day use area is open until 10pm which holds nice big picnic shelters, picnic tables, pit toilets and several beach areas including a pet beach. Since I visited during the off season, the campground was very quiet with only a few campers around. I stayed at the Riverside campground (not that much privacy since the campsites are so close to each other) and noticed they also have yurts (not the tent kind, more like a tiny cabin).
Date of visit: November 2022

This is one of my favourite places to be. The park is so clean and well maintained. The endless stretch of beach and Sand dunes make the beach look so beautiful..
We go here often to camp but is also a great place for an day picnic. Lots of day use areas and water is absolutely amazing. Not too deep for a very long distance..

Beautiful park. Well kept, and the bathrooms and showers were also clean. The dog beaches are great. Would love to see some improvements in the trailer dump sites. There are only 2 dump sites for the whole park and only 1 RV can dump at a time, causing big line ups. We had to wait 1 hr to dump before leaving the park. Additional dump sites, or multiple dump spots on each dump site would greatly minimize any line ups, and allow guests to leave in a timely manner. All in all, a great place for camping. I will be visiting again in the future.

Amazing sunsets, lots of good walking trails. Campground is huge with around 1000 sites. Decent washrooms. Has Shaw's ice cream, bike rentals and canoe/kayak rentals. Many guided walks throughout the park. Only downside is so much poison ivy, you really have to be very careful.

Pinery provincial park is a fantastic place for either a day use or camping. We have visited a couple times and every-time there is some good happening there. There is not much of winters activities in the area so we were surprised with all the options at Pinery. They have snowshoeing, Cross Country skiing, Tobogganing etc.. if you go at the right time the line ups are jot to bad, but this place can get sometimes really busy and have long lineups. Closer to other options like Grand Bend makes its an ideal spot. Will be visiting again.

Fairly large and very well travelled Provincial park. The beaches are very nice and you always get a beautiful sunset. Dog friendly beaches on both ends of the park. Campsites are fairly private and most are decent quality. As with all provincial parks, the online reservation system gives you a good idea what to expect from each site. Each campsite is a little different, but all are close to the beach. Visit many times a year! Even has skiing during the winter season.

Wonderful Park. Great beach, excellent store, great sites, great staff. I have stayed at 7 different parks this summer and this would be my favourite. As always, check the site thoroughly when booking on line. While most are large and well treed they tend to. Be shallow and sometimes poor privacy. Also, be prepared for a long run to electrical. My site was about 25 m but description said only 15. That is a huge difference.

A beautiful combination of beachfront and wooded areas to make this park fun and exciting. Some parks can get boring after visiting once or twice but this park has so much to offer and a wide variety of natural amenities! The park also offers canoe and bike rentals to help you make your way around the park. Definitely worth checking out!

Our camping went really well. The park is well organized, washrooms and showers were clean and convenient.
And the beach was amazing. Getting to the beach via sand dunes was pretty cool as well.
We have also rented a canoe for our family to enjoy the canal.
We are planning to come back to Pinery next year.

This isn't a hotel, it's a campsite. I went with a group of 12, and we had a blast. The site was large, well laid out, and in good repair. The bathrooms were clean and in good repair. The beach is within walking distance and was great. Accessible only to guests of the park, it wasn't overcrowded. There are no lifeguards, so keep that in mind if you've got little ones or aren't the strongest swimmer. The winds can really kick up the waves, and the undertow was quite strong.

Traveled with family, including a toddler. Highly recommend booking Dunes campground, as it's closest to the beach. Facilities were in good shape. There's a store available if you need supplies and a restaurant for a meal. The park is larger than it looks on a map. Bringing your bike certainly helps get around, there are lots of trails available. Will definitely return.

This is my favourite place to come to enjoy nature. I have been hiking and biking on the trails many times and it’s always so enjoyable and peaceful to hear the birds singing and enjoying the wildlife you can come across. It’s also a beautiful place to come to do photography as there are many gorgeous views. The beach here is lovely and the large river is great for canoeing and kayaking

Came to the Park for the beach. I reserved online in advance for the day use. The beach is a mix of pebbles and sand. The water is clear and I didn't see much algae. To access the beach, once you parked, there is a path over the dunes from the parking to the beach. There is a hand and foot washing station near the parking as well as washrooms and picnic benches under a shelter.
There are more washrooms near the beach as well. The beach was not crowded. Advisable to wear water shoes makes it easier to walk on the pebbles. The water was calm during the day but the waves got heavier towards the evening.
It's fun driving in the park the road is paved and surrounded with trees.
There is a store in the park. Rental for bike and canoe.

The park itself is great, the staff is great as well. Washrooms are clean. The only issue is the gate system. Unlike every other PP, you have to wait in line everytime you leave the park even if you already have your permit. Some days if you pop out to get supplies you can wait an hour or more just to get back in. They need to open an additional lane for permit holders.

We went there on a weekend of late fall for a day trip. Barely anyone else was there on the beach. There are total 9 beaches. But only #9 was open to park our car. The park people were nice and very friendly. This park is great for cycling. Paved roads are long enough to ride a bicycle and enjoy the spectacular view of nature. We enjoyed a great view of sunset from the canoo launch platform near the shop. It was one of the greatest memories to remember in coming days. There are many trails to explore. We will definitely give it another visit.

Beautiful large expanse of sandy beach. Lake Huron water is bracing . Be mindful of the strong undertow. Sensitive eco systems throughout the park so visitors are encouraged to stick to the trails. Loads of hiking opportunities !
Upon arrival you are given a map which outlines the various points of entry. Each point of entry has a separate parking area with comfort station. The comfort station consists of a small sink, counter, mirror and soap. This is all open concept and directly outside of the outhouse. We changed in our car.
The entire beach and surrounding areas were very clean. Well maintained park.
Gorgeous natural setting ! Kick back and listen to the waves rolling in on the beach. Reconnect with your happy place.
Budweiser Gardens was an excellent host for an excellent evening with James Taylor and Jackson Browne. Arena concerts have come a long way. The sound was of high quality. Our seats were comfortable and the leg room was ample. Sight lines were not an issue in the least. The concourse was pretty much jammed but "traffic" flow was steady. All this to say, I'll happily return to Budweiser Gardens for other events.

We went to AEW Collision at Budweiser Gardens. It was my first time at the arena. Very easy parking, as long as you're early. Great seats in Section 109 Row G Seats 12 & 13. Nice and elevated to be able to see the whole show. Easy entrance. It's a plus that this arena still accepts cash. Moderate prices for food and drink, very affordable. We will be back. Looking for other shows and attractions coming to London

Budweiser Gardens is a great place to watch an OHL Game. The Knights are usually pretty good team to you'll be in for an entertaining game. The team also has a large following so the place is filled and has a good atmosphere. Going in is pretty easy.. the staff is efficient with covid protocols so the line moves quickly. inside the staff is also fantastic and helpful. Food and beverage is pretty pricey as you would expect in a busy place, other OHL team arenas don't have the same following so they can't overcharge on food but this place can .. they have a neat Jack Daniels bar that is unique and has some cool offerings. The game experience is good with fun entertainment between periods. My biggest complaint with watching the game is that the PA system is terrible and you cannot hear the announcer most of the time as its muffled. But the biggest issue I had is that the popcorn is completely inedible, so if you are reading this... don't but the large popcorn as you will throw your money away. it is so salty that you cannot enjoy it. i'm sure they have received complaints about it but chose to serve it still. Other than that.. its a good experience watching the game. Beyond that.. the streets near the arena are totally sketchy, so don't plan on walking alone.

Excellent venue!! Had a great family time here! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The ticket 🎟️ prices were slightly high but we had a great time and it was definitely 💯 worthy it!
We sat in the 🔝 of the seats and still felt like we had a great view!
We had popcorn 🍿 and drinks 🥤 that were reasonably priced for a concert venue!
Exiting was seamless we just joined the crowd and it moved efficiently.
Everyone in the crowd was in a great mood and people were being extremely kind to each other 😊
The reason for the 4 stars is Parking!! 🅿️
Parking can be an issue. We are not local so it was sort of confusing but we ended up parking on the street because it was after 6 pm when we got there… so i believe it was free 😳. But I could be wrong just check the signs!
*** No re-entry aloud so make sure you have everything you need when you head in!!

Clean facility, great view from any seat. Electric atmosphere for the team. So many food choices for events. Seats are also comfortable. Excellent leg room. Sitting at the very top and was very comfy. Easy to exit. However, if you park across the road and pay for all day parking ($22.50 for game days) still received a $100 ticket that was confusing.

Nice venue, fairly updated. Drove from NB for the concert, wasn’t disappointed. Pretty well organized and the staff outside were helpful with any questions. Only thing is that the screen was blocked from our section so it was hard to see at some points.

Although it was nicely managed, the area's lack of space gave the impression that it was overcrowded. Parking the vehicles became very challenging due to the fact that half of the outgoing roadways were under construction. When everyone emerged simultaneously from the graduation ceremony, they were jammed like hell. With this kind of set up, I wonder how they plan to host indoor matches

Love coming to concerts here (live out of town). Far easier to access than Toronto. And there are so many great places to eat in downtown London. BUT the cost to park in downtown London has become worse than Toronto ($29!!!)! Just absurd With as much clout as Budweiser Gardens enjoys, they need to address this! Because now it makes this a less desirable venue. First Ontario in Hamilton has plenty of much more reasonable parking spots nearby.

Nice arena in many ways. Location is excellent; ushers were friendly. Feels small and easily navigable. I was last here in 2019 for the Junos telecast and have very happy memories of that event. However, security was way out of line at this 2023 event. About 2/3 of the way through the show, the band told the audience that we could stand. I don't know if the guard in question didn't hear that or thought it meant we could stand at our seats only and not approach the stage (I was in front row) but he was angry and inappropriate with several fans, yelling and putting his hands on people to try to get them to sit. Eventually another guard came running at him and pushed him the length of the stage, to get him away from the fans. It was uncomfortable and disruptive and I hope this guard was disciplined and all security personnel updated on appropriate actions, so that there is consistency in enforcing rules. I do not live in London but travel around Canada for various events. I would honestly hesitate before returning to Budweiser Gardens.

Contemporary venue at the Stratford Festival with an intimate seating area around a thrust stage.
Gorgeous new theatre! The setting is stunning, on the river. The stage is intimate; not a bad seat. The food and beverage bar is spacious, also saw that pre-ordered refreshments were set up as soon as intermission began. I'll remember that for my next play. So happy that the Stratford Festival is back!

Gorgeous theatre. Set in a beautiful locale at the side of the river with swans, herons, and rowing teams on it. The theatre is all gleaming glass and bronze-coloured metalwork and is stunning. There is a large paid parking area and on-street parking available. Inside there is loads of space for the cafe, gift shop, and many seating areas (standing tables, seated tables, and soft settee areas), and includes an outdoor patio accessible from the cafe area. The bathrooms are large, accessible, and very clean and well-stocked with paper and free sanitary items. The theatre area is staffed by very helpful, friendly, and well-informed personnel. The theatre is such that there really is no such thing as a bad seat. There is a stage that projects out into the room which is surrounded on three sides by banked seating. The stairs are steep and have handrails on both sides, but, for those needing help with using stairs, the staff are quick to offer either a helping hand or access to an elevator that goes to the stage floor level.

The theatre has ample parking and is well located in town with a nice lobby, good range of snacks/drinks and lots of seating for pre-show and intermission, but we felt that it fell short in two areas. The theatre seats were very uncomfortable...firm bottom and back to the seats, very flat and a bit short on the seat back. As a 6'2" guy, my back was aching by the end of the show. The other was acoustics. I have been going to Stratford for years and found the actor's speech very muffled. They were seasoned actors so I doubt it was a projection issue, but other theatres by design tend to acoustically amplify the speech...everything just sounded dull and muffled to our whole group...made it that much harder to follow the story/plot.

Inside the building on a bright sunny day is enchanting. The lobby is large and U shaped giving the audience space. The cafe and dining area on the river side of the building could be from a fairy castle the transition from outside to inside feels so fluid. Stairs come in at the top - if you have trouble stepping down you will want the back row. The stage is in the same shape as the old building - thrust. Seats are much larger, velvet and firm. Bathrooms have a large number of stalls. There are bars on both sides of the lobby but the river side is also setup as a cafe.

It was my first time at the New Tom Patterson Theatre in Stratford. Saw the play Wedding Band. Fabulous, fabulous performance. I sure hope have an opportunity to see another play there again soon. The way the seating in house has been configured, you can see everything clear and without obstruction from the person in front of you. Cleverly designed! The thing that was different in this theatre was you could take your drinks in with you. Not sure if I like that as the potential of being spilled on could happen. But maybe not??

Oh...my...goodness--what an extraordinary metamorphosis! The new theatre retains the intimacy of old, so valued by those of us addicted to Shakespearan performances. Yet the new facility is expansive, connected to the physical location along the river, and world class in its physical beauty. The sound is extraordinary, the experience reclusive. Hariri could not have done better in a single detail...an extraordinary architectural execution to a difficult transitional objective. Perfect! Bravo! Thank you!

Dec. 2019, saw Sleeping Beauty with our 6 year old grandchildren. Huge cast, great costumes and a lot of fun. A Panto so they could boo the bad guy, etc. A bit thin on plot but tons of songs and dancing. They loved it.
2017: We took our 4 year old triplet grandchildren to see The Little Mermaid on Wednesday. wow. Fabulous costumes..a cast of about 30 ... great music...The kids asked if they could see it again. (no, but it confirms they loved the performance)
Not a huge theatre in St. Jacobs so there are no bad seats.
If this were in Toronto, tickets would cost $125 to 200. Drayton Entertainment is so much more affordable. They don't have many events for children but the performances for adults are usually worth four stars, in our opinion. Always good value in any event.

This cozy theatre is the perfect size. The parking lot is large and surrounds the building. The lobby can accommodate most of the guests and features a bar for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
The seats are only a few stairs down from the lobby. Volunteers help you locate your seats, which are comfortable and wider than most. There isn't a bad seat in the house, and the sound system is perfect. The tickets are always reasonably priced and a good value for the quality of the performances.

I love coming here because the seats are very comfortable and no matter where you are, it's a great view. The staff are always extremely friendly and they even have a drink and snack bar. I will be coming back here often.

The auditorium was perfectly sized for the performances. The feeling is intimate and there is not a bad seat in the house. There is local beers and wines available and they are permitted into the auditorium during performances. (*At least they were during the Panto which we watched.*)
There is plenty of free parking and the location is easily accessible by highway.

My family and I attended this show yesterday evening and we were not disappointed! The first 5 minutes into the scene and we are already in stitches. Every single member of the cast was absolutely phenomenal! I can honestly say this is an excellent family outting I would highly recommend!
Ps. I’m in my thirties and probably laughed as much, if not more than my children did!! 🤣🙌🏻

Drayton Entertainment Youth performance of Footloose was amazing. The talent from our community is truly astounding! A big shout out to everyone that makes it a reality for these youth to have such a great opportunity!!!

Third year attending. For a small town theatre the Peter Pan pantomime kept the Grandchildren entertained. Some of the same actors, similar "adult humor" gender/political etc. One noticeable difference is how during the performance they marketed ice cream available during intermission. My personal preference is that they would reconsider this sales pitch! Will likely go again next year.
Hiking, fishing, picnics, swimming & boating on a shoreline expanse with camping, cabins & a lodge.
Very nice and a great beach with sand. Restroom near beach and nice paved parking lot. Close to a Summer resort by 1 mile. Lots to do and cabin lodges. Also many wineries in area and 18 covered bridges.

This is a fantastic park. The sites are ok spaced, so there is some privacy. We were in a shady area therefore we had minimal AC usage. There is a paved trail from the campground all the way to Geneva on the Lake. We were able to bike and walk this path easily. The beach area is only 1 easy mile from the campground. We saw a truly awesome sunset at the beach and were able to walk back to the campground before it got dark.
We did not swim, but lots of other people were in the water. There is a sign posted about bacteria in the water and could be dangerous to some people.
The bathrooms we visited were clean and always had paper. We did not use the showers as we had hookups so used our own. There is a store here at the checkout gate with the usual camp basics and snacks. The beach is the main attraction here, so there were no other amenities. If you visit be sure to check out the Whip-n-Dip in town. They have phenomenal ice cream treats.

Nice small park, very nice beaches, good bathrooms. Was great spot to watch eclipse!

Drove up for the day to walk the beach and drive around. Very nice and decent size beach area. The campground is nice and quaint. Wouldn't advise camping if rain is in the forecast due to standing water. Just a few full hook ups.
I like the way the marina is set up and there is an adequate amount of docks.

This was the 2nd time we visited but was unable to stay very long. I wish we could have taken an extra day to enjoy the park. The beach was very nice and the water was so clear. I would have loved to take a dip. Next time we visit, I will make sure to take a day to enjoy the beach.

A very large state park located along Lake Erie. Geneva State Park has something for everyone!
Located within the state park is a large beach, campground, cabins, archery range, marina, large picnic area, hiking trails, bike path, and even a resort!
The resort takes up most of the lakefront, but there are plenty of benches and tables along the shore where you can sit and enjoy the sunset. The area around the resort is open to the public.
Located next to the state park is Geneva on the Lake. You can easily walk or bike to the town to grab a meal or some drinks while visiting the park.

We stayed at the Lodge. Attended a 2 day conference. Rooms were beautiful. Everyone was friendly. Only complaint was speaker system in large banquet room was awful, kept crackling and those in the back could not hear and/or understand what was being said. They really need to fix, felt bad for presenters!

Very impromptu stop. The place is beautiful! The beach was clean and well kept. Park type area above beach with picnic table and other seating. Nice little walking path in wooded setting right along beach. Good size parking lot.

Awesome place to walk or bike paved clean trails with lake views along the way. We got snacks at the giant eagle in town and had a great walk/bike ride. This I believe was 4 mile trail with some little hills, great scenery, restrooms and parking half way through.

Very nice state park located along Lake Erie. It has a beach and hiking trails with some benches to watch the beautiful sunset by the lake. Can spend some quiet and quality time with family.

Situated on the shores of Lake Erie, Geneva State Park is located just West of Geneva on the Lake. The park encompasses over 1.5 miles of Lake Erie shoreline and has its own beach. The park has a large campground, camp store and offers nice level semi private sites. There is a paved walking and bike trail connecting the campgrounds to the beach, lodge and cabins. We really enjoyed our stay at Geneva State Park.

We loved looking for sea glass on Breakwater Beach! Will be back in the summer when we can enjoy even more that Geneva State Park has to offer.

So beautiful here. Nice and clean. Will definitely go back. Make sure to reserve 6months ahead to get a spot.
In sept 2020 we spent about 5 nights in the wilderness suite. It was a wonderful experience and had the best time relaxing with nature. Many of the activities/breakfast was close due to COVID but the area is beautiful so spent a lot of time chilling by the fire and hiking. Our suite was truely one of a kind... the outdoor shower was amazing and so fun to take showers outside. We went on a half day kayak tour and saw some wildlife. Would def go back.

Excellent experience, the employees make this place. Always going above and beyond for you, I was more than thrilled.
Nice yurts with modern amenities, wonderful water pressure on the showers. So many things on site, a local brewery a restaurant, zip lines and an observatory. There's an excellent winery within a five minute walk. Nice walking trails and if you mountain bike you should definitely stay here.
Ultimately I cannot say enough good things about the staff though easily the best part.
We will be back.

Love this place!! The location is perfect, to explore the surrounding villages, towns, wineries and parks.
Read the recommendations, and brought warm clothes and extra blankets, even though they provide a heating blanket under the sheets (it was the last weekend in October). The beds are very comfortable.
The staff are Incredible and very accommodating!! They replaced the wet wood with dry ones almost immediately. We loved hanging out by the fire. The fire pit was why we booked here instead of a hotel.
Loved the convenience of being able to dine at the patio restaurant on site. The food was very DELISH!!
We will definitely be back!! Thank you for a great weekend getaway!!

Amazing romantic getaway.
We booked Wine and Romance Package under the stars along with zip line tour. The package included one night stay at King Wilderness Suite, Wine tasting tour at The Burning Kiln and dinner at Normandale Century Inn and observatory star gazing.
Wilderness suite was awesome. Bed was comfortable with electric blanket. It had Private flush toilet and outdoor shower. Soap, shampoo were included. However water was so cold we could not get hot water in our tent.
Night campfire was lovely. Due to cloudy weather the star gazing was cancelled.
Zip-lining was great and guides were helpful and knowledgable.
Wine tasting was wonderful.
Loved the dinner at Normandale Century Inn
Overall it was good experience. Everything was well organized. Just felt that it was expensive.

A wonderful time, we booked our stay later in the year (mid October) and the tree colours were just amazing. It did get pretty chilly at night, but the room was equipped with a space heater that kept it nice a warm. We booked a bike tour and a mushroom foraging class and the instructors were easy to talk to, very educated in their field, and I walked away learning more than I thought I would. I will definitely be booking more classes and adventures in the future.

We had our Wedding reception dinner at Long Point Eco resort and it was GREAT! Maybe it is not your first thought that it would be a venue for such an event, but let me tell you it was perfect and so enjoyable !
We got several compliments on our venue choice for being unique and cute!! We also stayed there in an elite pod which was so fun and easy. We had some guests coming from Washington State stay at the eco resort as well and talked about how cool of a place it was and enjoyable. So if you also have an event with people traveling from out of town this is a bonus that long point eco reserve offers accomodations and activities for them to enjoy if they want to!
I loved the Forest Pavilon, they opened up the sides and it was a great blend of indoor outdoor space with a wonderful breeze on the perfect day.
The food was also delicious and we got several compliments on it. They also provided a delicious and beautifully plated vegetarian dinner option for the guests that requested it.
Everyone we worked with was a pleasure, so accomodating, responsive, helpful and kind. There was no nickel and diming us for little things that other venues will do since weddings come with a cost premium. They let us bring our own seltzers and cake and even provided plates and utencils for our deserts we brought for no extra charge or stress!!

The location to the Burning Kiln, the staff, and the grounds were all incredible. We stayed in a king Safari tent and it was great for the price. The shower is very rustic but nice to have attached to the tent. What surprised me most is how close the fire pits are to one another. I would consider coming back if attending another concert across the road at Burning Kiln.
I imagine this place would be incredible in the fall!

I can definitely say this is one of the best adventures we did. From the accommodation, the food and the activities they have-you will always want to go back. We celebrated our anniversary here and we couldn’t have been happier. Hubby even said we should’ve booked more nights so we can explore more of what they offer. We booked one of the elite pods and it is soooo amazing. It’s like living in a modern hobbit house-a small house with complete amenities, yes it has a complete bathroom so you don’t have have to use the outside showers😅.
The food was amazing, it’s just a little too salty for us. They are also under staffed so there’s a little bit of a wait but we didn’t mind it because we were enjoying the wine and the beer they brought out for us to taste.
We were supposed to do the observatory experience but it was canceled due to the lightning. We were okay with it though because we were enjoying a camp fire infront of our pod while looking at the stars.
There are several hiking/biking trails in the area as well and it ranges from easy to difficult. We opted for the moderate trails and we enjoyed it so much, well except for the snakes we saw on the way but they already warned everyone about these creatures.
We also did the axe throwing and we had a blast. Our guide is really helpful in explaining the how to’s of the activity.
Overall, it was one of our best glamping experiences. We will definitely be back and will bring the kids next time.

Stayed here for a work retreat in August and was impressed with the experience overall. Pods were a unique accommodation (though a bit hot when you first arrive - no windows were open) and the clusters allowed our group to hang out and use the bonfire. The showers were clean and I didn't get a chance to use the hot water as there was a power outage at the time no water heater), but everything seemed to work just fine.
Meeting space was adequate and accessed via 2 flights of stairs, and meals/snacks were done quite well both for the meeting and for dining in the restaurant. The food was particularly delicious, generously sized and fresh, which surprised me and my team in a good way.
Our team also did ziplining and the observatory tour - both were fun, but the observatory tour was particularly special and Tab (Tabitha?) as our host was terrific - she's a great storyteller and kept us captivated! The fancy telescope and seeing some cool objects through it was also quite special - not something you can do every day normally.
Trails were also fun to explore and definitely helps to have a trail map from the front desk. I only wish there was water accessible for a swim onsite, but the beach is a 10 minute drive away.
To bring: Flashlight and soap/shampoo, bug spray.
My main feedback is that the check-in process was a bit uncoordinated and I worry too casual since names/details were not checked or confirmed. I also didn't have hot water in my pod, but otherwise no complaints,. Would visit again!

Had an absolute blast dropping by to do some axe throwing. (Hi staff if you're reading this we were the group in the loud Hawaiian patterned shirts). Everyone is super friendly!

A to Z (Allison and Zack) were fantastic guides for the zip lining. And I’m not saying that just because they refuse to unclip me from the line till I finish this.
Really though, they were hilarious. Super safe, knowledgeable and a constant stream of jokes and stories.
Its a great way to spend a few hours and A2Z make sure you have fun.

Beautiful location! Greeted by friendly and helpful staff right away. Our suite was lovely, perfect for someone (like me) who appreciates and enjoys nature but desperately loves sleeping in a bed.
Our suite had its own little deck with table and chairs with a nice private fire pit for the evening. Firewood was provided which is excellent for a not so outdoorsy person such as myself.
The view from the restaurant was gorgeous, so peaceful and relaxing. Staff were helpful, polite and friendly, adding to the entire experience. Many activities available on site, from walking paths to zip lining and an observatory.
I will 1000% be headed back, it was a perfect little getaway that I wish I had booked for more then 1 night !
Highly recommend checking this place out

Queen pod. The bed was super cozy, not far from washroom. Very clean. Everthing you need. Make sure u have a little wagon easier to bring your things, no vehicule access. The female staff supervisor I believe was so kind, helpful and always smiling even when we had to call for a second key after locking ourselves out of the pod at night. Thanks again!

I experienced Long point for my first time this past weekend and I must say I was well beyond surprised at how incredible this place is. The amenities were well maintained, the beds were comfy, and pods were very clean. With spectacular views of the marsh, beautiful hiking trails, and fun activities, I would 100% recommend visiting at least once. I would say that there is need for improvement with the restaurants menu as I was a little disappointed with the quality of food for the price. I would love to see a more crafted seasonal menu or at least a more revamped menu. I felt it was quite lacking. Overall though the service was impeccable and the view was breathtaking. I would love to see them other movies after dark in their main field. I think a fun free double feature would be great for family’s, especially as they offer popcorn as a snack already. I think they would really do well with show casing a family friendly movie and than a more adult friendly movie like you see at drive-in’s. I would also love to see more games throughout the property that could potentially get campers more involved with one another. Something a long the lines of a summer camp style as I felt like I was at adult summer camp and I just think it would be a great way for people to interact and make new memories and friendships. Overall though my stay here was absolutely great. The staff were friendly and helpful, and supplying the firewood for free is a great feature. I will gladly be back again :)

My sister and I recently stayed at LPEA and had such a great experience! The activities were fun and everything was made even better by the great staff - they were fabulous. We started with axe-throwing which was a whole lot of fun. Our guide was Nate and he gave great tips to help. The next day we did the kayaking tour with Leanne and Mike who were outstanding. In the evening we did the observatory with Tab who was so knowledgeable, seeing Saturn was a huge bonus. We did Zip Lining with Allison and Jayden who were hugely entertaining. This place is a gem with amazing experiences, great food, spectacular scenery and a beautiful atmosphere. Once more a shout out to the awesome staff members. Thanks to everyone there for the lasting memories!

My family and I did the zip line tour with Allison and Josh as our guides at Long Point Eco-Adventures. We were looking forward to it, but wow, did they ever manage to exceed our expectations! They were fun, entertaining and very personable. If that wasn't enough, they were fantastic with our two girls and really made them comfortable for the entire experience. It was our first time to this location, but we will be back- thanks again Allison and Josh!

What a great ziplining experience. Not only was it extremely safe and fun but the guides made it SO MUCH MORE enjoyable! They remembered all of our names, were joking around with us, constantly made sure everyone was having a good time and feeling safe/included, plus they gave us tons of information on the wildlife and area!
Would definitely recommend this tour. Thank you Zack & Mike!
