This place is marvelous! They have an amazing array of vehicles to see and plenty of information about each one. Many of their cars are ‘matching number’ (original parts with the same VIN) and all are still running. They have some really neat cars here, like the split rearview Corvette or Buick Skylark. We drove an hour to see it and it was more than worth it!
Jess Hogg — Google review
They were closed but was able
To look in windows cool place!
Update: October 2021
They were open! Worth the fee to see these amazing cars in such perfect condition. Some souvenirs they shared along with information about some of the cars. The entire town is a must see!
Ca P — Google review
Incredible collection of classic cars...especially corvettes! Each time I visit there is more square footage of more and more amazing classic, historic, rare, and collectable cars. It's $12 admission but to enjoy the cars in a well lit, air conditioned, space it never disappoints me when I can visit. I highly recommend driving out through the country on 455 from the metroplex and enjoy some time here.
Sean Lynes — Google review
This was a nice museum. They had many of the early C1 and C2 Corvettes as well as ones going up into later years. There were secondary rooms with muscle cars and unique cars from history.
Lars-of-D — Google review
This is a fantastic stop in Nocona and one that will make you smile! Neat way to see the design of corvettes over the decades and I learned that they made a Corvette station wagon. Staff was extremely friendly. Definitely recommend a visit to this one-of-a-kind museum, military and veterans get in free!

1st class museum in the classic car capital of Texas, Nacona. Great variety of all kinds of rare and beautiful vintage and classic automobiles. 120 autos in total along with Americana Nostalgia pieces such as signs, gas pumps, a retro diner. 12 bucks to get in and worth it. Recommended stop for old car lovers.
samspace81 — Google review
A fantastic collection! All cars are restored or original survivors. Well displayed in a clean & cool environment. Car enthusiasts will love & non enthusiasts will enjoy!
Kyle's Car Farm — Google review
Wow, what a nice collection. The guy loves Chevrolets and especially Corvettes. A few Mustangs and Chrysler muscle cars. Can't give a 5 because outside of the Mustangs and Shelbys, a couple of T Birds and Lincoln's there didnt appear to be any other Fords. Very nice place, though. We spent an hour and a half.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit with friends while enjoying the beautiful scenery and lovely wine. Hummus was delicious. A visit with the ostrich was a bonus!
A. Bradley — Google review
I came here with my wife to celebrate our anniversary in early January, on a Thursday afternoon. It was not very crowded at all, only three groups were present during our visit. Once you arrive, you will notice a little cage to the left where they keep one of their ostriches. It was my first time seeing an ostrich and it was pretty cool that they allowed us to see it. The place has an old farmhouse look, which makes it very unique.
Our waiter was very kind and informative. She was very attentive to us and kept refilling our water and making sure we were comfortable.
I would say that this place is perfect for a little date on a sunny Saturday, as long as it is not too busy. I really liked the way this place looks inside and out.
After the waiter explained the wine choices to us, we went with the Black Ostrich flight. I thoroughly enjoyed those wines, they were all on the sweet side. My favorite was Poppy's Garden. It had a strawberry scent and, of course, a hint of it when you drink it. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys drinking sweet wines. We also tried the Herb butter and cheese pull-apart bread and the ultimate holiday meatballs. I must say that the pull-apart bread stole the show. The meatballs tasted great with the fig, but that pull-apart bread is something else. It looks like a regular piece of bread, but you would not believe how flavorful it is! It had a fair amount of cheese and was very savory, enough to make you want more. You need to try this when you come!
Overall, I was impressed with this business. If you were hesitant about visiting, I recommend that you go for it. You won't regret it!

Awesome time. Very relaxing, great service, superb wine, amazing view! Beautiful ostriches. Definitely stopping again for more wine when I visit Texas again. Enchanting place, a must see and taste!

we had a wonderful and relaxing time at this scenic vineyard. All staff were very friendly. We felt very welcoming . It's busy over the Labor day holiday weeked yet our server Laura did an amazing job. Wine was okay. Good surprise to find the Sweet Serendipity white which is actually not that sweet and very easy to drink !

“Class of 82” Girls weekend was a success! Absolutely loved our stay at the winery B&B! The scenic vineyards and cozy accommodations made it a perfect relaxing retreat. The hosts and staff were incredibly welcoming, and the wine tasting experience and food was extraordinary. Highly recommend for a memorable getaway! 👍

This winery is our favorite in Texas. We have been visiting to 12 years and the wines are amazing. The wines are award winning and the owners here are amazing. The “patio” eating area is fun especially when the weather is nice enough for the doors to be open. Frequently they have musicians in the space. I do love doing wine tastings at the wine bar in the main room.
Elizabeth A. Howard — Google review
This is a great place to take your wife!!! The drive to it is so scenic and the winery is on a hill so you can see for miles. We had a very friendly server that was very informative. I’ll be back soon!!! Plus you can get a great photo of an ostrich up close!!!
Tim West — Google review
Our favorite winery in North Texas. One of a kind views. Owner Julie Whitehead and her family are always so friendly and accommodating. The wines are wonderful and hard to beat taking photos with the beautiful Ostriches!
Cynthia Morgan — Google review
We visited recently using the Wine Trail "passport". I know this winery has great reviews, so assume our server was just having a bad day. The place is nice, and we enjoyed the wine, but her attitude just ruined the entire experience. We will not be back.
Donna Crane — Google review
We tasted all of their wines tonight. We liked some wines better than others due to our taste buds, but all of them were very good. I am a dry red wine or port fan and all of the Blue Ostrich wines that I tasted exceeded my expectations.
I even went off the rails a bit to try out some of their sweet wines, which that type of wine is usually not my favorite. Well, the Blue Ostrich team hit a home run because I am a super fan of their sweet wines.
We had dinner and multiple flights of Blue Ostrich's wines. All of which were excellent.
Bottom line, going to Blue Ostrich Winery is well worth the short trip from the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex. You will most definitely NOT be disappointed that you went!

Great atmosphere and products but the managment does a poor job of following up on issues. After calling multiple times to change our address for wine club deliveries they continued to deliver to our old address. I called the last time and I was told I would be contacted after they follow up their staff, they never reached back out. I asked if anything will be done to correct this issue, we were told it’s our fault. They would not refund any of our lost products to correct their mistakes. They were happy tell us we need to come visit soon, what a joke.
Grant Watkins — Google review
We loved the wine and the ostriches, and although Levi was not our server, he was a great host and ambassador of your winery. If it wasn't for him stopping by, we would have never learned the history of the winery. He is awesome!
Desiree Alegria — Google review
Loved this winery! The views were great and the wine even better. We went on Halloween weekend so it was fun seeing the staff all dressed up in costumes. They did a great job at handling the COVID situation too. The ostriches were cute but keep your fingers on the right side of the fence.

Ray Roberts Lake State Park Isle du Bois
State park
Nature & Parks
Wooded equestrian & hiking trails around a lake, plus a rustic lodge with an eatery & a marina.
This is one of the best state park I have seen. It is a perfect place for a day trip. You can play in the water and sand, it is very beautiful. The waves are not very big. People will come here
With family and friends and prepare their own food in the barbecue area. The north side of the lake was filled with
Kite surfing professionals. The wind in the north side was heavy, so it is the perfect spot for kite surfing

This was my first time camping. We reserved a primitive camping spot at the hawthorn circle close by the lake and has a firewood grill. We went for a swim in the lake in the evening. This place has a water tap nearby for bathing as well. We could also spot some deer walking through our camp site. Overall it was a very good experience.
raghuveer mandala — Google review
Beautiful state park, loved swimming in the lake. I haven't camped there yet but my brother and sister-in-law have and the camp sites are beautiful. The park staff are super friendly and helpful. Great place.
Pam Boyer — Google review
A very nice state park. The walking trails are paved, which is nice for the older ones and makes it easy for bikes and even wheel chairs. Our site was well maintained, and the rangers were friendly. The beach was awesome, and the water quality was the best I've seen in a Texas lake. Bring sand toys for the kids.
The only negative, which was out of the park's control, was an impatient camper at the dump station who seemed to have 150 years of camping experience.
Watch out for the ants for sure!!!
There is no park store, but Pilot Point is nearby and likely has anything you forgot. The Dam Store has great minnows.

My family has been here twice in the past month camping in the Hawthorne primitive sites. We love it! Sites are beautiful and both sites we stayed at were on the water. We love fishing and the sound of the water at night so it was perfect for us. Park employees are all so friendly as well and facilities are kept clean. Beautiful Texas State Park! ❤️

Beautiful State Park. It was our first time to visit. We actually just stopped in to explore and have a picnic lunch but after seeing how beautiful the swimming & beach area is, we will definitely be returning. We also stopped off at the Amphitheatre on our way out to watch a snake presentation put on by the Rangers. Ranger Lane, Ranger Mindy and Sharon (hopefully I got that right) all seemed so fun, energetic, and enthusiastic about educating the kids on snakes.
Kara D. — Google review
One of the best park to visit during summer. Kindly do online reservations it's not mandatory but most of the times it was fully reserved during weekends even we went twice and redirected to different place due to fully reserved on the online. Getting the place to sit near and around the swim place is also based on first come first server basis and mostly it's occupied. Be early to get your perfect spot. Have fun and Enjoy your day with family and friends👍

Wife and I spent 3 days here in our motorhome. Deer ridge spot 58. Absolutely beautiful. We were treated to fiery sunsets and a painting quality view of the lake. The dog and I walked several of the many hiking paths and watched the deer that are many and not afraid of the people or dogs. All around delightful experience.

Well day spend at #RayRpbertLakeStatePark. This is really well maintained park ample of space for kids to play and enjoy. Attaching map for more details. $7 per adults (13 years and above) there are several places to visit in between before visiting to the final spot, camping is allowed to the designated areas . We missed a sunset but I am damn sure sunset view would be better as this lake is located at south west. You can bring your bike for trail, do swimming at your own risk, skiing, boating and fishing.
This lovely space to visit for a day with group.

Deer here are like rats, there's SO MANY!!! We go camping here ALL THE TIME! It's so beautiful, the water is clear, the trails are amazing and lots of them are paved so wheelchair accessible which is very handy, and bikes are easy to ride here. It's beautiful, lots of critters and deer, it's definitely one of our favorite parks to go to. If your looking for a great family experience GO HERE!! Showers and bathrooms are extremely clean as well!!
Kaley Emerline — Google review
Beautiful beach! Dog friendly trails. Friendly staff. We didn’t have cash or card so we used self pay station for park fees.
Prajakta Masurkar — Google review
Get early to the tables because they fill up fast. Love the hiking trails but they get muddy fast. BEST lake to go boating but stick to the south side. The secret beach is nice too!
Dave Young — Google review
We spent a day at the lake walking and photographing wildlife. The sidewalk-like hiking trails were exactly what we needed, since my partner's back injuries limit his ability to do rough terrain these days.
Really enjoyed our visit. The Ranger at the front gate was friendly and informative. The beach was clean. The bathrooms were tidy and stocked.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the $7 per person cost. That would be prohibitive for a lot of folks, and will keep our visits limited. The State of Texas could do better on pricing.
Marie Snider (Just Rie) — Google review
My daughter, grandsons and I visited Ray Roberts Lake on Labor Day. The Park Ranger we worked with was very informative and friendly. We picked up our Texas State Parks Junior Ranger books and the Texas State Parks Passport Books. We are excited to start collecting our stamps for this passport!! We hiked two of the trails: the Lost Pines Trail and the Randy Bell Scenic Trail. The Lost Pines trail was very sandy, but good views of the lake! We really enjoyed the Randy Bell trail since it was paved the whole way, but there were not really good views of the lake! I would definitely recommend either trail and will return again sometime!

I have been here with my family four times in the past year. It’s a good place to bring your family or have a nice picnic. The bathrooms are horrible, looks like they never get cleaned. Play area is nice, keeps kids busy. Beach is beautiful. Lovely place to watch the sunset.
Sanam R. — Google review
An amazing state park with beautiful beaches. I was kayaking the whole time i was there but it’s a really nice park for hiking, kayaking or camping. Best thing is it’s only an hour away from DFW.
Chris Rome — Google review
We've been coming here for 20 yrs and I almost didn't post about it bc it's getting so busy now! So many people are moving to this area and it's getting so crazy busy that it's hard to book a campsite. But it's a beautiful park and well kept, with clean bathrooms, etc. The playground is brand new, after the last one was covered by water after 2015 flooding. My grandkids love the playground.
The only problem I see with the Park is the amount of deer present! There used to be a few here and there, but now they're overrunning the campgrounds! They come "begging" for food. Something really needs to be done to control the deer population, that's why I took one star off
Cheri H — Google review
Fantastic state park. Even though I stayed for one night due to being cheaper than staying at a hotel, I still had a fantastic time and definitely would like to visit again.
Jacy Percell — Google review
Best state park near DFW! Spacious campsites, some with lake views. Clean restrooms and well-maintained trails for hiking and biking. They even have a swimming beach for those hot Texas days. You can see plenty of deer also.

The Denton County Courthouse-on-the-Square Museum offers a self-guided tour of its displays on the first floor and the court room on the second floor. The museum is filled with interactive and informative exhibits, making it an enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages. It also serves as a working courthouse for the commissioner's court and features various displays, including a small museum. Additionally, it can be rented out for special events like weddings.
Had a great time with kids, they are stroller friendly, the staff was very helpful and inside were a couple of educational and fun exhibits. Lot of yummy restaurants close by.

Still a working courthouse for the commissioner's court, the county has made great use of its public space with a variety of displays including a small museum. I understand you can rent out the courthouse for weddings or similar events which would be a nice unique space for such an occasion.

Love hanging at the square, has been a place of music, laughter, families, and couples for over 50 years of my life. I include a photo of The Confederate Soldier, because if we erase our past or hide it away (in a museum) we are doomed to repeat our past.

Toyota Stadium is a sprawling 145-acre complex that serves as the home stadium for the professional soccer team, FC Dallas. The stadium boasts an impressive atmosphere for watching soccer matches, with DJs playing music before games and a laid-back vibe among fans. The parking is easily accessible and going through security is hassle-free. Clean bathrooms are available throughout the complex. On Military Appreciation Night, there were fireworks after the game that were well-received by attendees.
I sat on the first row in Section 130 and caught a first half hat trick. So close to the action it was amazing. Parking was close to the entry and going through security was fast. DJs playing music before the game were good. Bathrooms were clean. Laid back atmosphere with great fans. Was Military Appreciation Night and the Fireworks afterwards were really good. FC Dallas Player gave his jersey to fans next to me after the game which was cool for the fans and kids.

Excellent concert venue. I was a little nervous to bring my son to a Zack Brown concert but it was awesome. We had a great time. Seating and sound were great. Plenty of space to move around. Being open air was a plus! Parking in the lot was $40 but we got lucky and found a spot on the street.

Getting to the stadium and parking was easy. The stadium is very nice and the food is not bad. We had a drone show after the game that was pretty darn cool!

As a lover of football or soccer, however you want to refer to it, I was impressed with the atmosphere in the stadium! The club seats were great, especially considering the rain. Everyone working was helpful, and getting to see a bit of history in the museum was super cool. I definitely appreciate Toyota stadium more, hope to be back soon!

FC Dallas games are Very family friendly. There is Tons of parking and restaurants close by. There are plenty of indoor food options to get out of the heat and good seats aren’t too expensive especially compared to other Dallas sports. Season tickets are a great investment!
Trevor A — Google review
Great stadium. It's not a big stadium, so all seats have a great view of the field, no seat is too far. I prefer to have a more angled view of the game, so the higher seats are actually better for me, since the stadium is small. However, if you prefer to be very close to the players, the lower seats are the best option, as they are very close to the field. Food is not too expensive and from time to time they have $1 hot dogs and $3 beers. Great experience overall.

Watched FC Dallas vs Seattle Sounders. Ended with a drone and firework show. Accessible stadium and decent food options. We were in 113T and it was very very loud with the band below.traffic and out of stadium is not easy. Tickets are $25 per person and parking is $10 per car.

FC Dallas game was a ton of fun! Good concession options and clean stadium. Was a really good game and crowd was fun! What made this experience even better was a member of their sales team reached out to my husband to find out how our experience was with personable engagement and shared they would be able to help with discounts and offered a tour of the National Soccer Hall of Fame the next time we were able to go to a game. Thanks Parker, the follow up was awesome! Great experience!

We love coming to FC Dallas Games! Food is great. Fans are great! Great entertainment for the family. So many things for the kids to do and tickets are very reasonably priced!
We recommend everyone to go to at least go to one game!
Holly Cottles — Google review
Overall a nice stadium. Their supporters section was pretty weak, and fans a little quiet. On sunny days the majority of the stands are in the shade towards the end of the day. All the seats seem good. Always a few fans that are jerks to away fans without cause, but that's anywhere. Water is 6 each but again that's everywhere. Had fun even in a loss.

Enjoyed the Toyota Stadium experience as I watched SDSU defeat Montana in the FCS Championship game. Parking plentiful nearby and free. The stadium needs to mark each seating more clearly though. It was difficult to find the right seating section given the densely packed crowd.

I went to a pre-season game against DC United and enjoyed everything. The cold was a bit too much, but FC Dallas won so it was worth it. Parking was OK, service was pretty good as well, and security wasn't too bad either. Traffic could be improved in and out of the stadium, but nothing we couldn't handle.
The food could have been better (I got hotdogs, a pretzel, and chicken strips) since it seemed as if it had been sitting for a while)

Toyota Stadium is more than just a sports venue; it's an experience. The vibrant atmosphere, modern facilities, and community engagement make it a must-visit. The comfortable seating, great views, and fantastic food options ensure a memorable time. From the moment you arrive to the final whistle, it's an experience that's tough to beat. Whether you're a sports fan or not, Toyota Stadium has something for everyone.
Alain Mari Alonso — Google review
The Toyota Stadium is cozy, and wherever you go, there are great seats to watch a soccer game. The food is moderately priced compared to other MLS stadiums, but I wish they had more variety. The atmosphere is loud and fun, with plenty of action throughout the stadium. Improvements can definitely be made to the parking situation and traffic control. There were too many people darting out in the middle of lanes, and there were only a few police officers controlling traffic. Arriving at the game wasn't much of a hassle, but we paid the $30 parking fee, so there was definitely convenience there. We would have arrived late if we had gone to the cheaper parking area where there was a lot of traffic congestion. The stadium is also confusing in terms of how to get around. Some places were stores or bars, and others were only accessible to members. There were no clear signs indicating the pathways. The Hall of Fame is a nice touch, and I wish we could have explored it more. It's a nice add-on if you're a fan of American soccer. The theme night we attended was Star Wars night, and having a drone show after the game with fireworks was the cherry on top of a great experience. If they can fix their traffic issues, they'll easily be a top 5 soccer stadium.
AJ Lopez III — Google review
Nice facility, easy to navigate, overall clean and well maintained. It is open air, so bring a jacket on chilly nights. The band playing through the whole game was awesome! The unlimited food/ drinks was a decent selection. And the drone show at the end was cute.
Riders Field is the home of the RoughRiders, where visitors can enjoy a lively game atmosphere. The night of the Jung/Young Bobblehead give-away was eventful, with some frustration over people receiving multiple bobbleheads. Despite this, the staff were friendly and helpful, especially in getting stamps for the MiLB Passport Stamp books. Unfortunately, a power outage caused a two-hour delay and led to a lack of energy in the stadium as many fans left before the game even started.
Great family fun!! The staff is always nice and helpful! There are plenty of food options and we have never had a bad thing to say about any of them. Fun for all ages with affordable ticket packages! And there literally is not a bad seat in the house.

Great game experience. Kid friendly theme for holiday. Perfect family night out. 3rd base side gets shade before first base. Fireworks show was cherry on top.

What a disaster! People screaming. ADA Parking is a terrible. We got kicked out of the handicapped spot so the bus can park there. Employees don't know where else we can go and don't care. The ones we can see are blocked off.
Update:talked to a supervisor, Ryan. He let us park in a lot on the south side that they had blocked off. No other people with placards were accommodated.
Tried to buy event tickets online, but it's a nightmare too! Epic Fail

So much fun!!! I don’t know if this is the only place in the world that has this…. But there is a lazy River in the outfield!!! If you aren’t floating around to outfield… what are you even doing with your life?!?!? The park has a vintage feel and is so cute! Everyone needs to check this place out!

Great family friendly venue. Prices are very reasonable, parking is close, and the field is right there from your seat! You can't get this experience anywhere else for what you pay here. Summer nights are tolerable if you can get a 3rd base side seat.

Loved it. Very nice field. Riders got smoked but I still had a great time. If you love baseball you'll love this place.

Beautiful baseball field, close, covered parking garages. Plenty of gates for entry & exit.
Quality and quantity of good staff who are friendly and helpful. Good food and great baseball.

My daughter, two grandsons and I attended a RoughRiders game. We attended the night of the Jung/Young Bobblehead give-away. It was frustrating seeing people walking in and out to receive multiple bobbleheads. At one point a worker came up and tried to put a stop to it, but some people were walking around with bags full of boxes… We have the MiLB Passport Stamp books and the lady in the store was very friendly in helping us get our stamps and validating our stamps. Most all of the workers we interacted with were very friendly! I felt bad for the team since the game was delayed by a power outage for two hours and most of the fans left. There was no energy at the stadium.. I’m sure this is not the case for all games, just this one since it was 9 before the game even started. We will be back next season for another game!!

This was a very fun activity for 4 of our children,, my wife & I and our parents.
I have to say that I've never been interested in baseball even in the least.....but this was a very enjoyable night! I had my father in-law to walk me through the ins and outs of the game.
We lost. They played very well and the events were fun and made you laugh. The park was well kept, clean and the layout made it so there is no bad seating.
The lazy river was awesome....just go check it out..trust me.
We enjoyed kettle corn, peanuts, and a couple Shiners.
To finish off a memorable night we all walked on to the field and watch a very nice fireworks show.
It was better than the fireworks down in Ellis County at 4th of July!

The ballpark, the amenities, and the staff were great , but the concession stands left much to be desired. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a hot dog because they did not have any ready, even though the ballpark had been open for at least an hour. They also had issues with their POS system. Not sure if this is a regular occurrence but it made for a so-so experience.

The Frights and Lights event is very geared towards kids. I would not recommend it for adults. You not only have to pay to enter and park but have to pay for every event inside. Also, the stuff is dated and falling apart

Seriously! The best ball park I have ever been too. Full disclosure I am not a huge sports-ball person. This isn't the biggest or most prestigious ballpark I've been too but I liked it the most.
It's set up like something right off of Main st in Disneyland. True Americana for a truly American pastime ⚾🧢. The park feels quaint and intimate. Dr Pepper being the sponsor is definitely felt everywhere but they are a Texas company and Frisco is a Texas town.
The food was great ☺️👍. Not at all what I expected. We got nachos and quesadillas from the cantina, pretzels, cotton candy, dipping dots and Dr Pepper of course!
They had a lazy river! How cool is that! Going tubing while you enjoy a ballgame. Behind the food stands they had a tree lined path to stroll and enjoy with a bar at the end. There was an epically cool kids playground for free, 9 and under, and pay to play inflatables and other activities for bored kids that aren't going to make it a whole 9 innings.
We went for a scout night and my kids' troop was able to perform a flag 🇺🇸 ceremony before the game. They were so welcoming to the scouts and had fun little contests in between innings. We topped off the evening 🌆 with an incredible fireworks 🎆🎇 display.
This place was a fabulous 🤩 experience for our entire family and I won't pass on an opportunity to go again 😊❤️
Arbor Hills Nature Preserve is a large, 200-acre park located in the suburb of Plano. It features a variety of trails and play areas, as well as a public restroom facility. The park is great for city-dwellers looking to get out into nature without having to travel too far.
I've lived nearby for 5 years and had never gone before last week, and I was really missing out! It's so pretty! There are lots of unpaved trails through the wooded area and fields, but also a large paved loop you can walk along as well.

One of the best trails we’ve been in Texas. You will not get fed up, they have plenty of trails inside, and it’s marked. We took different trails inside woods, ( there is a paved trail outside too),. Please take a picture of trails map if you are coming here first time. Lots of shades and plenty of parking. Fall and Spring will be very good. Highly recommend this place 👍👍👍👍

a great place to enjoy the outdoors and experience the natural beauty of North Central Texas. There are a variety of trails to choose from, ranging from easy to challenging. The paved trails are perfect for walking, jogging, or biking, while the unpaved trails offer a more challenging hike. The off-road bike trail is a great place to test your skills and get some exercise.
It also has a number of other amenities, including a covered pavilion, a playground, and restrooms. The pavilion is a great place to have a picnic or host a special event. The playground is perfect for kids of all ages, and the restrooms are convenient for visitors.
It is recommended to visit for people of all ages and interests. It is a great place to get some exercise, enjoy the outdoors, and experience the natural beauty of North Central Texas.

Was visiting DFW for the eclipse, and we went here to stretch our legs before dinner. Beautiful park with nice facilities. Gorgeous bluebonnet wildflowers and nice hiking trails as well as accessible, paved walkways with great shade from the Texas sun. For the eclipse, this park was perfect - shade covers, water, restrooms, safe and excellent views. Parking is extremely limited. The overflow parking lot on Vista was much much less crowded on eclipse day than even the preceding Sunday surprisingly. Overall, great park. Would return on future visits to DFW

Really well-kept trail for families and friends to hang out. There are also off the beaten path trails for the adventurous! The good thing is: all trails go around so you will not get lost. And the open space plus many people walking around make you feel safe; unlike some other trails in Dallas where you feel like someone could jump you at any corner! The trail is also kept clean and free of trash. And in some parts, you get a nice view of the city!

Love arbor hills in the fall! We started going there during the pandemic with a friend and her kids. Now they ask me all the time, "Mom, can we go to the nature preserver?"🥰 We've visited in the spring and summer as well. Such a great place to go!
If you go with kids make sure to wear boots ( and throw a towel in your car) as they will inevitably get in the water!

This Park is awesome, you can reserve a covered table , or if is not being used eat there. They have a grill. I think they have 3 or 4 covered areas. They have a playground 🛝 for the little ones. A bike trail and a walking trail. The view is breathtaking. Lloyd of people out there. The sound of nature is something else, the creek is beautiful. Saw lots of people taking professional pictures. Lots of parking space, and most importantly they have restrooms. I totally loved it . Plus the park was very clean . Good job. I give it a thumbs up 👍

Great and amazing for walking if you love nature trails! They have both nature trails and paved trails. Me and my dog love to walk in the nature trails, and so much more to explore that we have to come back another day. We did not have many pics for the paved trail, but they look pretty and wide! Many people would ride their bicycles.
Beautiful place in the middle of the city and for some get lost in the wood moment ❤️
I visit during weekday late afternoon. Weekends often packed!
Definitely and highly recommend! Hope you enjoy this place just like my dog and I do!

What a beautiful place! The walking paths were well maintained. The off the concrete paths also were very well marked and seemed adventurous. This park had biking, walking and exercise areas. Along with special sitting places and so much more! The photographers were out in full force in just about every area you could see after awhile. Come early! VERY early, to avoid the crowds which will gather as the morning continues.

As far as trails go, it cannot get any easier. It is often visited, has a parking lot, plenty of signs and maps so you won't get lost. Some areas even have seating, a look out.
You can download the map on your phone as well of the website. The distance of trails are quite short and plenty of options to take detours.
The area right as you head in (beginning with the Indian creek trail) are all shaded and quite a few options to take, but as I mentioned these trails are short distances.
I would recommend venturing further into the area and taking the scenic routes as you can get through the entire place in about 1 and a half to 2 hours.
As far as trails in the DFW area, this one is easy for a day out with family, kids and pets. As always, wear sunscreen and proper shoes to avoid slipping and climbing if you choose to take the wooded paths.

Arbor Hills Nature Preserve has a few thousand acres under its belt, and provides a lot of nature goodies - wildflowers, nature trails, paved trails, a watchtower where you can view the whole preserve, and a big pavilion at the main entrance that boasts a lot of tables.
Oh, and the pavilion has outlets for you to charge your phone, too. Another cherry on top.
The fun is really when you begin hiking down the nature trails. There is a section of the park called "Riparian Forest." It consists of a lot of shaded trees and a running stream, which will make your body feel cool despite how hot Texas summers can be. You will also catch tiny, cute waterfalls there along the eastern edge of the preserve.
Arbor Hills Nature Preserve is a must-see place for a well maintained, clean, and vast hiking experience.

Beautiful park. We went here with our cub scouts for a hike. There is poison ivy, but that was good for our purposes cause we wanted the kids to be able to identify it.
It's really neat how they have it split into different zones like prairie and wetlands. It gives a great opportunity to teach about those things.
The kids had fun on the playground afterward. The pavilions made a fabulous meeting place. We really enjoyed it 😀.

Great spot for a morning walk, stayed for about 40 mins on the paved pathway. Lots of individuals out getting their morning exercise. I felt safe as a young single female. There's lots of flowers during this time (July). Loved getting to see some of North Texas nature. Lots more trails/paths to explore for next time!

Really nice nature park and it’s very huge. One has to visit quite a few time to cover all the trail. Parking area is large and washrooms are clean . Have a play area and picnic area. Well followed map located at every important point. Off-road and concrete both trails are available . This gonna be my frequent weekend long walk place.

Great spot to go for walks and jogs. I was looking for a place to trail run and this was the closest to home. Most of the park is paved but there's enough space along the sidewalks for anyone wearing trail runners.
A few strips of trail lead into the creek, with spots where you can go down to the water.
The park was filled with people going for a walk with their dogs and family. Doesn't feel as crowded when you're on the trails as it seems when you're in the parking lot.

A hidden gem in Plano! Great forest preserve with a variety of trails (paved, walking dirt paths, regular bike trails and dirt bike trails) with great wheelchair accessibility and dog-friendly! The trails are clean, and garbage receptacles are available along the trail (but widely spaced).
There is also a great open field where we saw many couples/friends/families take pictures. A large, wheelchair accessible playground is also available, with both regular bathrooms and family bathrooms. Fair warning: as of this post, the general bathrooms have toilet seats with seat covers missing, so if you are not able to squat/hover, use a family bathroom (those toilets have plastic seat attachments).
Parking can also be tricky during busy times, but the turnover of spaces is relatively regular/frequent. Highly recommend parking into your space backwards (rear first), as there are many unaware/carefree people and children walking behind the cars.
Otherwise, great trails with large trees, lots of shade, and fun surprises like small streams. Definitely a place to take the whole family!

Such a great park! You can get lost in the trail system out here & either stay on well-groomed trails or take the path less traveled on dirt paths. There’s also a great playground for the kids with slides & swings.

Arbor Hills Nature Reserve is truly lovely. I mostly go for long walks to exercise out the stress of the work day. The path is cement, and it mostly stays clean. It’s a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, located centrally, with plenty of parking. There’s an area for kids to play and pets seem to be welcome, as long as you clean up after both. lol. You never know who you’ll see or get a free smile, and it’s very harmonious and peaceful, with lots of natural rock, water features, and varieties of plants and trees.

This is small trail nature preserve in Plano area, good place to spent around 2 hours. We visited during winter time so wasn’t that colorful. I guess summer or fall would be a better choice. You may see some ice-cream trucks nearby other than pls plan alternate options for food. There is a small children’s play area/park near the parking place.
Edit
Revise during spring and it was awesome. Take small trails you could explore small creeks and wooden bridges 👍🏼

Beautiful park in the City of Plano, TX. It has lots of trees, trails, and a bike (or walk) path, which meanders around with gentle slope up and down. There are streams with bridges and culverts. It is truly a gem to visit. A lot of people walk, run, and bike in the natural surroundings. You can see families with children and pets. It is a popular park.
There is a play area for children and areas for birthday parties, game parties, or just plain get-togethers.
There is no entrance fee or parking fee. Since this is a very popular park, it does get a lot of visitors on weekends and holidays. It may be difficult to find parking unless you arrive early before noon or late in the afternoon.

I love visiting Downtown McKinney! The area is very walkable and has the feel of a small town square within a large city. Beautiful historic buildings, several excellent restaurants, antique stores, clothing boutiques, and other unique small businesses. Historic Downtown is built around the courthouse and hosts several festivals throughout the year. Music festivals in the summer, Oktoberfest, and Christmas celebrations to name a few. Southfork Ranch was the setting for the original Dallas TV series and now offers tours, more. The ranch is famous for its stunning surroundings and role in the show. If youre old enough to remember the show, you can visit Southfork Ranch to explore its sprawling mansion and relive your favourite scenes from the show.
The day at the ranch was so exciting! We started by meeting with Bette the event planner, and she guided us to the different areas which was very helpful. We learned a lot about the horses from Donna who was very informative. The horse ride was good and relaxing. The lunch was delicious and they had a variety of options. The tour of the Ewing mansion was great as well. Bette and Donna were very nice and friendly and they really made the tour of the ranch a wonderful experience.

Had a scheduled horse ride on a typical Saturday with my boyfriend. We showed up to the spot to meet and no one was to be found. We tried going into the shop and the doors were locked. Mind you this was a 2:30pm ride and the last ride starts at 4pm. So we decided to wait around and see if we could join with the 4pm group. We waited in the car for over and hour and no one ever showed up. We tried to call but there is no one to talk to when you call because it is all automated. My boyfriend tried multiple times to get in contact with them via email and phone and never got a response. He then tried to revoke the charge on his card that he paid with and Southfork claimed they gave us a tour, so the money was not refunded. We never spoke to anyone from the ranch or were able to get in contact with them. A very disappointing experience to say the least.

Seeing Southfork has been on my bucket list since the 80s when I watched the show in Germany with my parents. Watching Dallas was my first introduction to American culture. My experience clearly wasn't unique because our tour group consisted of people from all over the world, and only one American couple. I had expected we would be the only visitors but quite to the contrary, there were bus loads of tourists.
From the large parking lot, you fist enter a modern visitor center where souvenirs and tour tickets are sold. There is a small museum with pictures, video and props from the show. The gun used to shoot JR anyone? A white tram then takes you to the house, with some commentary along the way. The house is so small in real life. Both our tram driver and our tour guide were engaging and made the tour interesting by telling stories about filming, both about the stars and the actual owners. Turns out only outdoor scenes were actually filmed here in the summer. Pictures are allowed everywhere, you can even sit at the famous breakfast table and have your picture taken by the pool. After the tour you are free to roam the grounds and see Jock Ewings' car in a side building. On the way out, we took some pictures in front of 'gate 3" the famous Southfork gate seen in every episode that faces the main road. Even my husband, who has never seen the show, enjoyed the experience. Look Mom, I went to Southfork!

Although I did not go on the tour I will give the location a five star for nostalgia. The gift shop was you average gift shop with photos of the Dallas cast hanging in the walls. The staff was friendly and helpful. I could not do the tour because I had other plans but I will be back. It was nice seeing the house that the 70’s and 80’s America saw on TV. You probably would enjoy it more if you have seen the show like I have.

We initially went to the Southfork ranch to check out their “Trade Days”, which happens the weekend preceding the 4th Monday of every month. Parking is $5 cash
There were lots of different local vendors (e.g., handmade bags, soaps, candles, baked goods, and vintage kitchenware) as well as some vendors that sold items auctioned off of Amazon return pallets.
The trade days were alright, nothing exciting, or spectacular.
While we were at the Southfork ranch, we decided to tour the mansion to where the famous “Dallas” tv show was filed in the 70s-00s! Cannot believe that show lasted 14 + seasons! If you go to the trade days, you get $5 off of admissions to the mansion tour.
Since there were over 20 of us in the group, the tour guide gave a very detailed history in the sitting room (due to the group size) inside the mansion. Afterwards, you are free to roam the mansion. The TV show didn’t actually film inside this mansion, but it was nice to see the exterior of the house where the show was filmed!
The ranch is open to the public to rent for private events, as well as spend the night! You can even make an appointment with one of the tour guides so they can spoon feed you more facts during your stay pretending to be an Ewing!

I was a child when the series was on.
As an adult now I understand what it was all about.
This tour is unexpectedly great fun and I have to admit a lifetime experience for those who knew about the series and watched at least a couple of episodes.
You need at least half a day for the tour and for the museum to see everything but if you are a fan you can spend a whole day easily.
Many times Fehér are organized activities on the farm like horse riding or different kind of exhibitions.
If you hesitate go for it you won’t regret that is for sure.

I would not call this a hotel for everybody who used to watch the show Dallas it is a museum and you can stay overnight I guess if you would like to. This is very cool to see all this when I was growing up watching this TV series and now seeing it all in person. There is a lot to see here.

This tour has always been on my 'bucket list' because I watched the show as a kid. It didn't disappoint. The guide was great, adding lots of fun facts about the original owners, the production of the show, and the property itself. The house is really showing its age and needs some good TLC, which is unfortunate to see. That being said, I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who watched the show and wants a big hit of nostalgia.

Well if you're a Dallas fan and want to visit a bit of history you won't be all too disappointed. The house itself isn't what you will remember seeing from the show. The exterior and some of the rooms on the first floor are nice and kept somewhat nice. The back patio and the breakfast table are original and nearly 50 yrs old. Folks the show is long gone and just the opportunity to go in itself is worth the $16 tour fee.

We did the tour (no experiences added) and it was fine. The weather was PERFECT so we got very lucky. While this place is interesting and worth a visit if you are a healthy adult fan, the house tour guide was absolutely not accommodating or polite to an elderly lady with mobility issues or to a child who didn’t seem to be bothering anyone but her. Overall there were 10 people in our tour and 6 of them were dismissed by the tour guide… while the child was “politely” dismissed. The lady with mobility issues was really pointed out to the rest of our group as “not being able to get off the tram”. Young people and people with disabilities matter too. They paid the same price as everyone else. So. They pocketed the $98 in tour tickets for these people and did not provide an adequate experience in any way.
I will say the tractor/tram driver was extremely nice and pleasant and helped the elderly lady off the tram and they provided a golf cart when she was ready to go back. Two stars for this reason only. Otherwise negative stars.
This woman came to this tour for a reason. She did not deserve to be treated this way. She should have been included and not made to feel like she is “less” because she is disabled. This treatment is what keeps people sitting at home rather than experiencing life and seeing things that have meaning to them.
Do better.
The grounds were nice to walk. I just can’t get over the treatment of that woman. Even if I can possibly overlook the treatment of the child, who could have cared less if he got the tour or not

So so happy we decided to do this :-)

Absolutely most generous staff. My mom and I we're looking forward to the tour, when my son with autism started having a meltdown. We were afraid to go into the house, to disturb the other's. We were assured we could see everything, and were given a private tour. Beyond kindness, and understanding. Meant the world to this mother. House was beautiful too.

You can buy a ticket online or in the gift shop. While you wait for a tram that takes you to the mansion, you have time to visit a small museum.
At the mansion we met Gayle. She shared with us lots of interesting stories and fun facts. Thank you Gayle! You were amazing!

Attended Mother Day Brunch here. What a mismanaged event. Severely understaffed. Lines with 40+ people at omelette station. Noone seated us; we were left to fend for ourselves in finding a table that hadnt already been claimed. Not enough seating. No butter to be found, no salt/pepper to be found. Certainly not worth the $60 a head it cost. I'd put this on par with a $20 Golden Corral brunch. Servers only cleared plates, didn't serve water or any drinks.

I loved visiting the home of “Dallas” the tv show. Tour guides did an awesome job. We did the tour and then walked around the grounds. Nice little museum. Great experience for those who loved the show.

I toured Southfork Ranch in October 2023. You can pay a lot to go through a tour company or simply buy your own ticket in the gift shop, no reservations required. While you wait for a tram that takes you to the mansion, you have time to visit a small museum of interesting displays (pages of scripts from the show, the set prop "gun" that shot J.R., Lucie's wedding dress, etc). Every hour (10:15, 11:15, etc.) a tram leaves from the gift shop to take you to the mansion. Here we were met by Gayle, who gave an intro of the mansion and grounds, and shared lots of fun facts about the show. Then we were on our own to stroll the mansion and grounds. Gayle was terrific and even took photos of us in front of the mansion. If you were a fan of the show, you'll enjoy this tour.

My visit to South Fork Ranch in Dallas was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks in large part to our guide, Gayle . From the moment we arrived, Gayle enthusiasm and knowledge about the ranch and its history were palpable, making her the perfect ambassador for the iconic Dallas location.
Gayle passion for the subject matter was impressive , as she expertly guided us through the various sites on the ranch while sharing fascinating insights about the filming of the Dallas TV show. Her engaging storytelling brought the show’s legacy to life, making it feel as though we were stepping into the world of the Ewings ourselves.
What truly made our experience unforgettable was Gayle personalized attention to detail, especially considering it was my sister’s birthday. She took the time to make the day extra special for her, sharing additional anecdotes and behind-the-scenes tidbits that made the tour even more meaningful.
Overall, our time at South Fork Ranch exceeded all expectations, and Gayle played a pivotal role in making it a truly memorable occasion. Her warmth, expertise, and genuine care for her guests ensured that our visit was not just informative, but also a delightful and unforgettable experience. If you’re ever in Dallas and have the chance to visit South Fork Ranch, be sure to ask for Gayle – she’s the epitome of hospitality and professionalism.
Relaxed, contemporary multiscreen theater featuring showings of mainstream films.
I've been to this theater many times and always have a good experience. They have signs posted to make sure people don't get too noisy in the theater. It's always fairly clean. The screens and sound are really nice as well. Seating is really good as well too. Comfy recliners.

I really like this theatre’s setup. I have sat in the Marquee Suite area twice.
First visit: I wasn’t aware there was a separate stairway for the Marquee Suites area. The front entrance staff were preoccupied with themselves and sent us to the snack bar to have our tickets 🎟 checked. We unknowingly sat in the wrong level. This is minus 2 stars⭐️ for failing to tell us we should use the other entrance.
Second visit: In the second visit we burgers and fries to eat from our reclining seats. The food was actually quite reasonable priced and was tasty as well. My only complaint or suggestion is to get you popcorn early - not after eating you burgers cause you’ll miss some of the movie waiting for others to order their burgers.

Such a fun and unique experience for kids! The chairs are comfortable and have a wonderful seat heating option. The play area is clean and well maintained. My only complaint is the play area was completely dark during the movie and my kids were too scared to climb up to the top to watch the movie (scared of the dark) so they didn’t get to play until after the credits finished and the lights came back on.

Well I was having high hopes it’s over an hour drive for me and for that drive I was hoping for the same quality I had at the regal theater in Florida. Sadly it wasn’t and MX4D was lackluster. The seats were too close to each other that I kept bumping elbows with the person next to me and aren’t we still having covid issues? Nobody wore masks and auditoriums were packed. The picture quality was very good but the MX4D lacked the special effects that I got from the other theater like the snow effect I think they ran out of juice because you can hear it turning on but no bubbles or snow came out and only one time did I get hit with water. I think I saw fog or smoke but it was barely noticeable. The seats weren’t that strong and wasn’t synchronized with the film. It lagged at times. I’ll probably give it another chance when top gun is released.

Been wanting to experience the 4DX experience for a while. It did not disappoint! The experience was fun and enjoyable, however it can be pricey for some I admit, the experience of 4D is something to be experienced. I’m not sure on the prices on their regular movie theater showings. But overall kind crew is always appreciated, and the movie theater was clean and well organized. Overall great movie theater.

Saw two movies in the last 3 movies, and each time, all seats were primo.😘
I love the option of selecting which seats you want and selecting from the diverse theater experiences that are fitted to your liking.
We recently watched Equalizer3 in Dolby surround sound, and it was perfect relaxing in a recliner with soda and popcorn.
This is my choice when it comes to a movie away from home!
You should watch your next movie with family or friends here!

If you like prices similar to the American Airlines Center, then this is the place for you! $8 for a fountain drink. I didn't even care to look at the rest of the menu.
At least the seats are comfy, but that may also be due to my wallet being so much thinner.

Awkward experience at a theater. Have not had this kind of issue with other theaters. First time at a B&B, arrived early, asked the bartender how it works. We were informed to order everything at the bar and if you are seated upstairs they serve you the food inside the theater. Cool. My order never received the sweet potato fries bc it was never put in. My friends meal did not arrive until about 1/3 way into the movie and it was the wrong salad butbhe was fine with it. His order was also missing fries. Halfway into the movie, I took a restroom break and I simply informed the bartender that we were both missing our order of fries. Bartender told us he will check on that. My friends fries came out at the end of the movie when it was too late to enjoy them so it was sent back and i asked if we could just get refunded and he told us at the bar and we said okie dokie perfectly fine. The cook/server came back with coupons apologizing..i told him its okayyy. Last 3 mins of the move 3 of the staff came up and asked if i was the one upset about fries. I said i was never upset. The lady seemed very upset with this situation accusing us of receiving everything we ordered. They did give my friend his fries refund after claiming he received them twice but never did. 🙃 I also got an expired coupon and a 2nd non-expired coupon if anyone wants both I will give it to you as I do not plan to go back to a B&B theater. We will just have to watch the ending to the movie online I guess. 😅

Amazing experience all around. I was a bit hesitant at first because the tickets were a bit expensive, but I was absolutely blown away at this theater.
When my family and I first arrived, I ordered some popcorn and the worker behind the counter filled the bag, but then noticed fresh popcorn was popping so she went and got me a fresh bag. That was such a kind gesture and completely unexpected.
Once we went into the theater room, we noticed that there was a giant play area and some fun toys for my daughter who had an absolute blast playing before the movie started . I've never seen such a cool theater room designed for kids before! I think they call it "screen Play" and pairs perfectly with kid movies.
Once the movie started my wife and I noticed that the recliners were both extremely comfortable and even had heaters in them.
Overall, it was an amazing experience and definitely worth the price. I hope that one day they offer membership plans because I will definitely be back

Seats are comfortable. But when doing online ticket purchase, the descriptions are not clear and confusing. I clicked on "Ready to Recline" but when it is time to pay, I had to pay for "Marque seats". Being senior, we should get better discounts. Noticed that there are no discounts for seniors for Marque seats. We always choose "Ready to Recline" seats but somehow it took us to "Marque seats". Not happy about this.

Always a great experience here! It is nice to have a wonderful theater in our town. Really miss the button service in the MS and hope they can bring that back. You can order ahead of time and they still bring it to your seat but I really liked not having to get up and miss the movie I paid to see for drink refills.

I would not recommend going to this theater for the simple fact that if you lose a wallet or anything that cannot be traced back to the owner they will keep it and say that it was never found. I know this because someone who works there Trevor Ramsey found a little wallet/change purse that had $26 and some change in it with several items but no ID, SSC, or any cards of the such but decided to call several people that he knows claiming he found it and never reported it anyone. If I were his boss he would be fired immediately and not allowed to work there period.

The couple in front of us ordered popcorn. The cashier with the bowl cut gave him a large instead of a small. He called the guy back and DUMPED THE LARGE POPCORN BACK INTO THE MACHINE AFTER THE COUPLE ATE SOME.
absolutely disgusting. They kept on serving from the machine after I pointed out the machine had used popcorn.
Such a shame, because the theater is beautiful and the seats are top notch.

Update: I appreciate the response to my review below so I added a star.
Several weeks ago we bought tickets for our entire family online which we felt was fairly expensive for a large family but worth the experience. When we went they were not serving food yet they had menus out. The whole reason we went was for our family experience dine-in at at the movies. We were going to try again. I called and see if they were going to be serving dine in again and no one will pick up the phone.

We saw Indiana Jones in 4D here. The theater seemed okay except there was an entire row, row E, with broken seats they kept rattling the entire time during the movie which was highly distracting making a loud popping sound and rattling sound.
Also upon entering the theater the entire row we were on row D had not been cleaned, the previous movie was about 3 and a half hours before this one and yet it was touched. So much food, cups, trash and popcorn. Not a great first impression. We would be open to watching another great action movie there in 4D if they are more attentive to cleaning the theaters.
The 4D experience itself was really fun!!! Smells, sounds, lights, air, all great to make the movie more realistic. It was like a roller-coaster and movie.

Let me tell’s ya’ the whole story.
So I saw the B&B theaters panoramic screen in a instagram story, so I wanted to bought the movie tickets at Red Oak B&B theaters because for me was closer than this one, but by the time I noticed I have already paid for them and I said like: Oh well, let’s just go to the theaters at Wylie… Believe, was the best choice EVER! The place is so quiet and brings you peace of mind. Take a try!!

I was excited to watch The End of Evangelion here for its limited theatrical run in the US. Unfortunately, my experience was a negative one with the movie projection stopping twice towards the climax of the movie and it took ~10 minutes to fix it the first time and ~5 minutes to fix it the second time. The employee who had resumed the movie also could not start it where it had halted due to a glitch on their end at that point of the movie. They gave a free re-admit card for everyone in the theater but the only other showing for this movie is on a day and time that I work at due to its limited showings, so it doesn't really help the situation.

This theatre is a typical theatre. $6 small waters and $6 candies that are a $1 at the store. All theatres are overpriced and this one is no different. However, the last 4 times I've gone the popcorn has been old and stale. It was disappointing since that's normally the treat I love at a movie. I no longer order snacks when I go. I will still go see movies here because it's convenient and it's a theatre.

Not the best of theaters. Definitely not the cleanest. It didn't even have salt where you get butter and stuff for your popcorn. The bathrooms stunk to high heaven like they had a sewage leak and they were not very clean. The staff were nice and friendly but other than that I don't really see a point to go to this particular theater when there's all the nicer ones around, I know it's family owned but they need to step up their game a little bit

It has been a while since I've been to this theater. It seems like the quality of the popcorn has dropped, and the popcorn seasonings they use now are awful. The seats are still great. They might need a little upkeep to get rid of the squeaking.

The Museum of the George W. Bush Presidency contains 14,000 square feet of exhibits that detail the president's eight years in office. The collection also includes a replica Oval Office and a policy institute.
We truly enjoyed the educational and informational visit to this museum. The entry price is a little steep, but it’s part of City Pass so don’t sleep on that deal. We spent a little over two hours and didn’t read every single thing. There’s a nice tribute for 9/11 and details of the days, weeks and months to follow. There’s a replica of the Oval Office which was neat to see. I really enjoyed the segment where Laura talks about true home side of the White House - they really made it feel like home which I have never really given much thought to. All in all, a really nice exhibit.

The George W Bush Presidential Library and Museum is such a cool museum! There is a replica of the classic Oval Office, a room where you can make presidential decisions that George W. may have faced, and at the time of this review until Dec. 31st this year, there is a special exhibit called “Freedom Matters” that features a pocketbook version of the Magna Carta, Emancipation Proclamation, a 1831 print of the Declaration of Independence, and much more!

This was my first ever visit to a presidential library. The library provides a unique perspective on Bush's runup to the presidency, including the election drama. It also goes into detail on Bush's tenure in office. The museum includes a replica of the Oval Office and an actual reconstructed situation room from his tenure. I would recommend purchasing the City Pass ahead of time to enter at a discounted rate.

Although we are not big fans of the Bush presidency, we found this library and it’s staff particularly engaging. The library is very well staffed and there is always a guide about that can explain an exhibit or give you some insight into the background of a particular display. The recreated Oval Office was terrific as was the 9/11 exhibit. Overall a very worthwhile visit and one of the better presidential libraries we have visited. We give it four clams on the coveted Five Quahog Rating Scale.

If you've not been, you don't know what your missing. It was so much more than we expected and worth every penny! The oval office was my favorite part. It is an actual replica of the oval office in Washington D.C. We enjoyed getting our picture taken behind the desk and had a lot of fun with that. The displays of gifts received from different countries was very interesting. And a piece of the towers that fell on 9-11 is on display. So many things that reminded us of what it was like when the adults were in charge (not the recent orange clown.) had us missing the old days when our culture was united after 911. I had forgotten what a true dignified president GW Bush was for our country. It's best if you go on a weekday that is not busy, for easier parking and less crowds. Enjoy!

I really enjoy the presidential museums. In case you didn't know, this is on the SMU campus. The place is VERY well put together with marble and wood mixed with technology (that's a 20 foot fall screen wrapped around the atrium). I was a child when he was first elected and in high school when he left office. There was a lot here that I had vague memories of, but never studied because it was happening while I was growing up. The exhibits are extremely flattering to Texas culture and I think they did a tasteful job of laying out the challenges and pressures that he encountered as president and how/why he acted as he did. I feel much more respect and understanding now.
They also had a really interesting exhibit on the outside of his new venture - painting. I was not aware of this at all, and it was kind of fun to see him smiling and making art in the videos.

Such a wonderful museum and information center! This is a must visit location for everyone. Make sure to prepare yourself for a lot of reading when you get here though. There are also many shows/mini-shows that are played within this facility if you don’t want to read too much. There are many fun activities to do here too. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience in this wonderful place.

The reason for three stars is the price. $50 for myself and 12 year old. No AAA discounts. Easy to get to. Very clean and nicely laid out. When you have a tween in a museum you have maybe an hour tops. So that makes this $$$. Then the pics of you in the oval office are $33!! The goal here needs to be to get as many people in as possible to view this place. And that makes it unaffordable for most.

Place was clean the staff was friendly just a heads up there is a $10 parking charge
The only negative I would say was the person at the gift shop who is on his personal phone not paying attention to anything going on we had to wait 3 minutes for him to get off his phone to check us out

As far as presidential libraries go it's OK. The exact or replica of the oval office is great. They also have a piece from the World Trade Center towers. One of my favorite things to see at the presidential libraries are the gifts that are given while they're in office. It's worth seeing. They have a photographer in the oval office but make sure you get your own picture because they charge I believe it's $33 for a set of pictures so just get your own with your own camera.

The visit here was really cool. Got to read a lot about the former president and the different events that happened during his presidency.
Walking through the center gives a perspective of what he went through during the duration of his time in office. Some things you may be able to relate to as for some of the events, I know for myself, I was still in school when they happened.
The most touching tribute/ event is the World Trade Center attacks. Part of the south tower can be found here and it really brings back the memories of this horrific tragedy.

Excellent attraction that was one of the most polished museums I've been to. It was like a time capsule back to the 2000's. Literally the only things that I thought could be changed were two audio banks that weren't operating and that apparently French Guiana isn't a democracy. In fact, it is, it's an overseas department of France that does vote in French elections.

Fantastic Presidential Library. Great look into Ws life and presidency. Awesome Docents and staff. Great restaurant. New for this year is the actual Situation Room so definitely check that out, only open on weekends as I understand. Also the replica of the Oval Office is the only one you can actually walk around in. Highly recommended. A credit to George and Laura Bush’s legacy.

I was in Dallas for the Christmas holiday, and I decided to check out the George W. Bush Presidential Center on the SMU campus.
Prepare to go through an airport-style security check when entering the Center.
There was no line, and I do not see the need to buy advance tickets.
Tickets are $26, which I thought was a little steep - and parking is another $10.
As you enter the lobby, you can see all of the gifts from foreign dignitaries and the American people to President Bush and First Lady Laura Bush, including jewelry, swords and even fancy dog bowls.
The temporary exhibit is all about Freedom and includes an on loan copy of the Magna Carta as well as other key documents from global democracy.
The permanent exhibition goes through President Bush's early life, the election vs. Al Gore, and then his two terms including a large section on 9/11 (with warped steel beams from the WTC).
The most popular part of the exhibit is a replica of the Bush Oval Office, where you can actually have your picture taken at the White House Presidential desk.
The docents are very helpful with their added information, and there is a gift shop as you leave.

Really enjoyed visiting the Presidential Center on Presidents day. Went as a family with our 5 and 7 year old who really enjoyed sitting in “the Oval Office”, looking at the gifts given to the president, and learning about the Presidents family including the dogs. The best part was how friendly and knowledgeable ALL the guides were. Shout out to Red who really made the experience fun buy taking so much time to talk to our kids telling them a ton of interesting facts.

Very interesting place, filled with tons of history. With any presidential museum, it's important to take everything with a pinch of salt. It paints the president in a positive light, and might skip over their failures.
For example, I didn't see much about the lies of Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. Also, it's quite pricey compared to other museums in the area at $26. Plus $10 parking. A presidental picture is also $30-35.

Absolutely incredible. If you are anywhere in the DFW metro area, this is a must-see. The 9-11 portion of the library is moving, heavy, very emotional and a great reminder of the resolve and kindness we as a people possess. We are capable of facing great difficulty with bravery and providing compassionate support for one another. We must pause to reflect on and remember these moments and values we share and this library captures that beautifully. The historical events I remember from that time as I walked through the library, I realized I'd forgot the context in which they took place and the important decision-impacting details surrounding them. Plan several hours and especially be sure to participate in the "Decision Points" theater.
Large-scale state-of-the-art interactive & multimedia exhibits & educational programs for all ages.
This is a really lovely museum. My husband and I zoomed through in about two hours. If you have children with you (which would truly be perfect) you’ll want to plan on longer. You’re taken up to start the adventure on the fourth floor via escalator. There are elevators available if needed. It’s very easy to follow the flow of the layout so you don’t miss anything. Tons of hands-on activities along the way.

Fantastic museum! So much to see and do for kids and adults alike. We went on Labor Day weekend so it was much busier than it would normally be. Despite that, this museum is very spacious, and easy to get around unless even if you have a stroller like we did. There is a tendency to form a long line at the elevators, but we just carried the stroller down the stairs, it helps build muscle. Also, the map is easy to read (which can't be said for the Dallas Aquarium but that's in another review), and you can find everything with relative ease. If you are a veteran you get in free so that's awesome as well, and you get a discount for everyone in your party. Overall we had a great experience, and successfully wore out the kids.

What a wonderful experience at the Perot Museum! We really enjoyed our visit. The museum is very family and kid-friendly and a great place to bring the kiddos. They have many exhibits and activities that taylor to the kids with hands-on activities.
We stopped by on an early Sunday afternoon, and the museum was not terribly crowded, which gave us time to explore and really enjoy the exhibits.
The dinosaur exhibit and the Minerals Room were my favorite. It's not as large as some of the nature and science museums I have visited, but it is definitely worth a visit. It's a nice way to spend some time learning about nature, science, and history.
They offer plenty of parking, a food court so you can get drinks and items to eat, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and I recommend watching one of the short movies they offer. It is a stop I highly recommend!

The Perot Museum is a wonderful place for kids and adults to visit. The theme is nature and science so most of the exhibits centered around that theme. Make sure and get your timed tickets before going! We were late getting them and ended up with a 12:30 time slot. But it was amazing. Floor after floor of amazing interactive exhibits that you can easily take all day to see. It took us four hours and I felt like we were moving pretty quickly. My four kids (ages 3-10 years old) loved the dinosaurs and robotic areas the best, but really it was all fantastic! We will be back to explore even more.

SO MUCH FUN!!!! I thought it might be a little bit too much for my 2-year-old, but I was WRONG! It was great! The only problem was we didn't have enough time to see everything! I remember loving it when I was a kid, but I think it's only gotten better with time! There's a children's area downstairs that was so much fun, and then lots of interactive exhibits that were perfect for ALL ages. There was something for everyone, and we can't wait to go back to see more!

We spent a decent amount of time here exploring but it was difficult to navigate with all of the school groups that were there. It was very crowded and felt like we couldn’t truly experience and take all the exhibits in. However, I was super impressed with the minerals room. So many unique and breathtaking pieces that I haven’t seen at other museums. There was a lot of hands on stuff for my child to do and learn as well.

This museum was a really fun experience. My husband and I went there as a date because we both love science and nature. There was plenty of parking (though it is paid parking) which was right next the museum which almost never happens so this was nice. You can tell the museum tries to enthrall adults as well as children because it has teachings/facts that vary between quite simple to fairly complex. My husband and I's favorite section HAS to be the jewels. The many MANY precious, colorful, and (sometimes) GIGANTIC, jewels they had were absolutely breathtaking. I can provide photos but they did not do justice in the slightest. I would say definitely give your more than 2 hours there. We only had 2 hours and we had to zip through the cosmos section and a good bit of the fossils/birds section. This museum can keep one entertained for many hours. There was a food court, but we never went since we ate and didn't have the time. For my hubby and I, as 2 adults, it was $25 each which I say is a good price. I am just giving this place 4 stars because of its obvious, should I say, agenda? (I wish I could've given more like 4.5 though). It has a section showing "where man came from" of course with ape-like people. I guess that is how science is today, so I am not surprised and the section was small so it wasn't too preachy.

This is a fun museum! We visited on a Friday afternoon, and this is definitely a popular place for school groups. The kids seemed to be heading out around 2:00, so if you are looking for a calmer experience the later afternoon may be best!
The second, third, and fourth floors are full of interesting exhibits. The various levels have wonderful views of the Dallas city, and the museum is highly interactive. Parking is $10, and easily accessible. The cafe has some reasonably priced options if you are looking for a quick bite!

I wonder how many people drive by this Gem everyday and never go in. So this activity was part of the Dallas city pass. We had various option and thought we would just pop after all how much really is there to see. Well there is a lot. Don’t do what we did and just try and see it within a couple of hours that won’t work.
Let’s start from the entrance. If you use their parking it’s 10 dollars so use it because everything else in this area is more.
This place is built for you to stay all day. They have food and a ton of bathrooms so no need to leave until you’re done.
They have 5 different movies about different aspects of the museum so check them out. We only did one and I was sad because we underestimated this place. Mr. Perot may have seemed boring on tv when I was younger but I have a whole new appreciation for what he’s had built here.
From the fossils to the exhibits about energy and the stars it’s incredible. I’m not going to try and describe everything because I didn’t see everything so I can’t. I will let the picture speak for themselves. If your in the area and you have the city pass spend the day with your kids listening to them saying wow and how cool is that.

Great play area for kids on the lower level, each floor has its big hit, though floor 4 has a ton of fun activities! Took our little one and had a blast.
Only reason for 4 stars is because their additional Lego exhibit was an extra $8 and I find that to be a bit pricey for what you get.
Only reason it’d be worth it is if you have a little builder to sit and build in a somewhat dimly lot ballroom.
Wish they would make these included in the price.
Other note is that they’re pretty strict about mask wearing - apparently “science” is a marketing ploy ;).

Clean and modern museum. Stroller allowed. The children museum is included in it, which is good for younger kiddos. I’ll recommend to come early or weekday. It gets VERY crowded.
$10 Museum covered parking is great. ($5 for members). OR you can come early and find street meter parking.

This massive hands on museum is a perfect way to beat the heat! The indoor areas are filled with amazing and interactive exhibits. Our family loved exploring the facility. Just big enough to spend a full day here but each floor is well monitored enough to let the kids wander a bit. All of the staff members were kind, knowledgeable and welcoming into each room/activity/program. We had lunch here and we were so thankful for some really nice food options! We tried the pizza, burger, pretzels, and chicken. Covered parking ($5/$10 for non members) keeps the car cool when it's time to head home. If you have the chance to visit you should!

Wonderful exhibits, plenty of variety and tons of interactives for kids and adults alike.
Information on displays is somewhat outdated and occasionally slightly inaccurate, probably to facilitate better presentation. Also a little small, but it is limited by its location.
Overall a nice museum. Fantastic for inquisitive kids.

The nature and science museum was incredible. So many cool exhibits, plenty of hands-on activities for kids. We spent about 3 hours but could have easily spent more time. Everything was so cool!

Lots of great exhibits. Different interactive exhibits. I wouldn't suggest going on a weekend like I did today. Very crowded and hard to maneuver at times. I still enjoyed the different displays and info about each thing.

Wow, what a fun and interesting place! We took kids ages 5, 7, and 13 and they all found things they loved. There's a small play area downstairs for the toddlers, there's a robotics room, the gemstones were my personal favorite, but we also saw a Mars Rover replica with videos detailing its mission, and a dinosaur exhibit (was extra$) that was there for a short time. Don't miss out on the 3D short movies! We saw one about Blue Whales and I kid you not, it was the best 3D graphics I have EVER seen. They range from 20-40 minutes. Overall I was impressed and would recommend coming here!

This museum is fantastic! The dinosaur fossils alone are worth the time and money!! Along with that, the Tom Hunt Energy Hall and the Expanding Universe Hall are super interesting. The Texas Instruments and Sports Halls have great interactive exhibits for kids. Buy your tickets online, especially if you plan on going in the afternoon! We didn't and we had to wait 2 hours for our entry time but we spent that time watching 2 movies in the theater that were very moving and well done. I will certainly be returning!

An excellent place to delve into history, explore dinosaur artifacts, and engage with science experiments. You could easily spend more than 2 hours here. For optimal enjoyment of all the experiments, consider visiting on a less crowded weekday.

I went with a few friends on a Sunday and had a great time! There are so many floors of exhibits and interactive discovery games for all ages. There was so much stuff to see and do that we didn't even get to see it all. Well definitely be back sometime later in the year to see the rest.

Well curated, up-to-date natural history museum. What a treat! Dinosaurs are updated to the most current understanding. Other science topics covered on lower floors, including gemstones (a family favorite). Architecturally impressive precast concrete. Decent food options of you make a full day of it, too.

Wonderful place full of excitement and learning opportunities. Enough hands on stuff to keep the little kids entertained while the older kids read about what interests them. Seeing the real human brain was a highlight! The food is ridiculously expensive, I would not recommend buying anything other than a light snack. Bring your refillable water bottle!

There are so many amazing, beautiful, and interesting things there to see. It's such a great and fun way to learn new things. I and my hubby had so much fun lol. I can already imagine how much the kiddos will enjoy it. There are also fun activities the employees provide, today we made finger bird puppets! I highly recommend it, especially for families.

We absolutely adore this museum and make it a point to visit almost every year! What makes this place truly special is that it offers something intriguing and engaging for visitors of all ages. Whether you're young or young at heart, you're bound to discover something fascinating within its walls.
The Dallas World Aquarium is a privately-owned aquatic wonderland home to countless varieties of marine life from all over the world.
A great place to visit for any family. The entire zoo/aquarium is indoors so no worries about the weather outside. Parking is plentiful and around $10 unless you get the highly coveted meter parking spots.
I have 2 young boys and we went through the entire place in a little over 2 hours. There are a number of areas to sit and rest, including a cafe in the middle of the jungle exhibit! Lots of bathrooms and of course the gift shop at the end.
If you can go earlier in the morning, you will avoid the large groups and crowds. Navigating in the zoo/aquarium is pretty simple. You just follow the path and it will lead you through all the exhibits. A great morning or afternoon stop during a vacation or a special day with the family.

So much fun!! We spent almost three hours walking around and really enjoyed every minute of it! It was pretty packed, but we were still able to see everything we wanted to and everyone was polite and tried to share the views with others.
Coming from a smaller city with only a small zoo, this was amazing to see so many beautiful animals! The exhibits were clean, beautiful, the animals looked extremely well cared for and well fed!
Wonderful experience!!

Greta for kids AND adults…loved seeing people
On dates as well as kids enjoying all the animals. We got a coffee at the cafe where the staff was so sweet! We loved that there are more than just aquatic animals (although the turtles, sharks, penguins, fish and manatee are SO cool!) but also the birds in the aviary, flamingos, monkeys and even an ocelot AND the rainforest…so awesome! Definitely worth the money and time spent!

LINES... LINES... and more LINES!!
It was a nice aquarium but definitely not worth the price. Two adults (one military) and one kid (3 yrs) almost $82.00. Parking across the street was $10.35 for a 24hr spot. We came on a weekend and the line was long to get to the main entrance. We purchased out tickets online, thankfully. The staff tells you to start on the 3rd floor but maybe stay on the bottom and work your way up. The place is small... even though the name has the word "World" in it. There is a lot to see but when it's over crowded, you're standing in lines just trying to get through it all. There are not enough bathrooms to accommodate all the people who go during peak times,so be prepared to stand in another line. The gift shop is decent but with everyone in the room it gets crowded quickly and it's hot.
Overall, would not go back.

We drove in from Georgia for a concert and decided to stop in to the aquarium. I was skeptical at first due to location. However, the overall architecture was incredible. The collection of birds, fish, and reptiles blew us away and made us feel like we were in the jungles of the amazon. Phenomenal experience!! Extremely well maintained exhibits.

I didn’t have high expectations for a downtown city aquarium. But I’m really pleased to say that my expectations were wrong. The aquarium was excellent, so many birds, reptiles, mammals and fish to see all really well presented. Definitely an attraction to add to your to do list while is Dallas

Absolutely beautiful. It's like half zoo, half aquarium which was neat but it was super busy. The whole place is made up of these really narrow one way paths and while this design might work in theory to get people to go in a set path, in practice the result was every time someone stopped to look at something the whole line ground to a halt which resulted in a lot of waiting. If you aren't on a time crunch, it's very casual and beautifully designed but be prepared to do a lot of waiting in lines if it's busy and don't think you can easily go back and look at something.
Ali Burck — Google review
The facilities are beautiful and well laid out. The habitats are open and perfectly landscaped making the animals feel so much closer and uncaged. The pelicans were so close I could actually touch and rub one. I didn't. I'm not crazy. And they offer adult beverages. Hello! All of the staff are friendly and helpful. The reason for the 4 stars is because the facilities are a bit small and the shark tank was small and disappointing. And I had saved that for last. I would revisit.
NICHOLE JACKSON — Google review
A lot packed in a small looking building. Has multiple levels to walk through and see different animals. Is more zoo vs aquarium though but kinda combine the two together which is cool. Was very busy when we got here on a Saturday afternoon, the line to get in wrapped around the building but was steadily moving. Due to its business trying to walk through and see some animals were hard. So be mindful and try to go at none busy time.

It was cool. Got there super early with my daughter. Felt like we bought out the place. The animals are friendly and can tell are be token care of. The sharks had a sense of humor. They will try to sneak up on you as a joke. We enjoyed. Get there early! If not will be in a long line.

Loved exploring the aquarium! It was pretty, clean and wonderful to see the wildlife. 🐟 However, we were disappointed that there wasn’t any vegan choices on the menu, not very inclusive. 😢
It would be great to see some food choices here that are vegan and gluten free. They have some sort of vegetarian options but without any sort of protein. Especially after seeing so many animals and fish.
Fish are friends, not food! 🐟
Violet Ravotti — Google review
The aquarium wasn't technically all an aquarium. There were tiers to the experience. Floor 1 was birds, and we had the pleasure of a toucan type of bird flying with us and through our party. Floor 2 was more amphibious/land animals and some water dwellers. Floor 3 was the huge aquarium, small aquariums (some were deep sea creatures where you couldn't use flash), then the one feature our kids absolutely loved was the Shark tunnel. You walk through the middle of the shark enclosure and can kind of see the sharks swimming casually out, and then all of a sudden, they're next to you! There were 2 saw sharks that were ginormous and very cool to see. It was a fantastic time and worth the trip! The Penguins were a huge deal to but off to the side, and not many people visited them.
Erick Scott — Google review
This is an animal lovers wonderland! Their enclosures are big and beautiful and they have a plethora of different species to see. From the moment you enter you are greeted by big, beautiful birds and stunning foliage. From there, the walk through the aquarium is seamless and intuitive. You really get to see everything up close and if you come in the mornings when they open, you can even stroll leisurely and take your time. Warning: if you attend anytime after 11am on a weekend you will be close quarters with other visitors and will have to share views and shuffle through with the crowd. Either way, this is a wonderful place to spend a few hours in Dallas!

Such a great experience! We took our kids and had a blast. They love learning about different animals and seeing the ones we've studied in real life. This place has so many to see! The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, willing to answer questions and make your trip more enjoyable. The paths are stroller friendly and there are even nursing rooms if you need to find a comfortable place to feed your baby! Don't hesitate to come here with the whole family 😁

This place was amazing. We had such a great time. They had a drink station halfway through where we got frozen margaritas! I loved seeing all the different animals. It was so diverse with both fish and mammals. So great you should definitely bring the family. Set aside about two hours minimum.

I live in Wimberley, Texas and I drove to Dallas to visit with my daughter on her birthday. We decided to visit The Dallas World Aquarium. It was on a Tuesday afternoon. The parking was easy as there is a parking lot right next to the aquarium. There was no wait. We walked right in. We didn't get out ticket on line but it is possible to do so. The place is really beautiful and well maintained. There's even a bar with beer, coffee and pizza. I had coffee and it was surprising pretty good. My daughter had beer and pizza, which was pretty good as well. There were a lot of people there but it wasn't crazy busy and it was Spring break. There are three floor and plenty to see. I took lots of pictures and chatted with my daughter. I would probably go back again

They have a lot more than just aquatic animals, very cool. A bit pricy and was a little confusing to navigate all the levels and see everything.
Got in without a mask, just told them we were medically exempt and they seemed to honer it.
Definitely fun and pretty impressive to see all the different animals they have in the building

Usually packed but that’s pretty much expected because it’s the aquarium and everyone likes to bring their family, friends, & loved ones here. Honestly a really fun place. My favorite part was the penguins, and cheetah because they’re so cute! Nothing really exceptionally unique about this place but definitely a great place to go to if you like animals! Some places have AC but I would definitely recommend bringing yourself a little fan or using a pamphlet to fan yourself if you get hot!

Family fun. Some animal exhibits were not open, which is disappointing for the price you pay. Have improved on flow of traffic in order to see exhibits. Pre-paid parking is recommended-by very confined parking area. Should improve and limit the amount of people allowed into facility all at once-becomes very chaotic with big groups and baby strollers in narrow/small spaces.

Absolutely amazing! It was my dad’s first time being in an aquarium, and it definitely blew his socks off! We both loved it and saw some very cute creatures! In the gift shop, a older lady who worked there was telling us about the big manatee and how she was a rescue. She was very knowledgeable! The staff at the gift shops were kind. Definitely will come back!
The parking situation was kinda weird, we bought a pass while getting tickets. We aren’t from the area, so finding the place to park was a bit of a hassle. Signs would be nice!
I also love they partner with many different animal rescue groups to help bring endangered species back! I’d definitely support in any way I can! Loved it here!
I’d definitely buy tickets online wayyy in advance. Makes everything less of a headache!

Enjoyed our visit with my girlfriend for her birthday. Large venue and worth the trip. However, it is very difficult to navigate all areas inside and all the different levels. You could easily miss an area if you didn't take the time to make sure you found everything on the map/brochure. Need to come up with some way better to follow a designed pathway from start to finish.

Great place for kids with lots of interesting creatures. I don't recommend going on a weekend because they let more people in than they should and it is difficult to move around. They label some of the enclosures with what is inside but not all. I would prefer more labeling with educational information. Most of the time you have to identify what you are seeing from the 4-5 page booklet they give you and then have to google the species if you want facts about them.
Nate Fansler — Google review
Nice aquarium overall. A lot smaller than many regional aquariums I've visited. Surprisingly, it was about 50% an Aviary/ Terrarium (lot's of birds, monkeys, snakes, frogs, and other land-based animals). Nice variety.
Be sure to pick a less busy day to visit. We went near a holiday (also a Tuesday when most other museums are closed), and many sections had us waiting 15 minutes to walk a total of 30 feet with the crowd shoulder to shoulder). It doesn't seem that they limit how many people can enter. It would have been 10x as enjoyable if there were half as many people.
Phillip Baxter — Google review
Wonderful! It was part zoo, aquarium, and bird sanctuary. I have been to many aquariums, but this was unique in the way that it displayed the eco system at 4 different levels. Level 4 was at the top of the trees with birds and monkeys, mid level 2 and 3 with birds, frogs, snakes and an anteater, the bottom level with fish, manatee, octopus, and fish. It took us 2 hours to view and read everything. It was worth the visit.
Helena Riihiaho — Google review
Tight spaces, confusing layouts, poor signage, and too many people made this place a pain to navigate. With so many stairs everywhere, I can’t imagine bringing someone with a wheelchair. Some pathways were barely large enough for two people, so if one person stopped to look at something, it clogged up the entire passage.
The map given at the start was very confusing to use and didn’t give an accurate sense of how big or far apart places were. The few directional signs were poorly designed; I saw a sign with an arrow pointing right for penguins and turned right, not realizing it actually meant DOWN a set of stairs I couldn’t even see. I had difficulty finding our way back to anywhere or even leaving. Several turns even lead to dead ends with nothing. Trying to find how to go up/down a level was also troublesome.
It didn’t feel educational as there was no information about the displays unless you scanned a QR code, assuming the QR code was on the screen and it wasn’t rotating through other non-informative images and videos.
The upsides were, as other reviewers mention, the place is beautiful and packed with displays. Seemed to have something in every nook and cranny- you just won’t know what it is since there’s no signage. I imagine it would be more enjoyable exploring when you’re not jostling against elbows. A lot of it felt like it was outdoors despite being under a roof.
There were some very nice views of the fish and animals and a cool underwater tunnel.
F Robinson — Google review
They have lots of birds, animals, frogs. The lower level is where you will see some fish. We went on a Sunday mid-day, it was pretty crowded. Many of the exhibits are not labeled. That being said if you aren't particular about what animals you are seeing there is quite a lot of habitats/animals to view. We spent about 2.5 hours there. Plan to eat before or after, because the eating areas while we were there were packed.
The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza is a repository of information about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, which took place in its very building. The museum contains artifacts and exhibits that explore the life and death of JFK, as well as the various conspiracy theories surrounding his demise.
Historic museum! It tells a great story about the assassination of JFK! It really provides thorough explanations and narratives and sets up the actual location of the gunman. The surrounds are also nice to explore. I’d recommend arriving thirty mins before your appointed museum ticket time to check out the X spots and take photos. I recommend the earliest time for museum as it is nice and quiet! There are lots of tourists!
Parking is $12 for all day basically. Tickets are only purchased online so be sure to buy it online beforehand!

It’s a sad place I have to say, you’ll find a lot of information of the sad event by either watching some short movies/documentaries or by walking the museum and reading the information and seeing the picture. There are two floors, the upper floor mainly has the view of the Elm street and the surrounding and different places where you can watch movies about the incident. It’s mostly like a big hall compared to the main floor where you can observe some exponats. At the time of my visit, there were many people, we had to wait in line a little , however, it went by pretty quick. The ticket to enter was $18 for adult.

Comprehensive view of the events leading up and following the JFK assignation. The museum was very engaging and really did a good job of portraying the feelings of a city and country that had lost its President. Would strongly recommend a visit.

If you are a fan of history, you will like this museum. It is a great museum, but it’s also about of history. It’s kind of strange being in the building, knowing what took place in the location l, but that’s what makes it great. Looking out the windows of the sixth floor makes you feel like you are looking into the past. No matter what you think about what happened that day, it is a nice museum that is etched in America history.

This museum is well planned. The displays are professional looking. They focus mainly on the assassination. However, there are all of two panels on the conspiracy theories, which I think deserve more attention. There are literally thousands of documents citing evidence on this topic. That was an unfortunate choice. Staff were very friendly, and the gift shop has a nice assortment of products. Great experience! It's my third time to visit.

It was too crowded on. Weekday at 1pm. Hardly had space to stand and read the exhibits. I guess it was because of the SC2022 crowed.
The good - informative, good insights, exhibits and information, also it was an actual side gave another perspective.
The bad - writings were too long to stand and read, some people can't stand for hours just to read the material. It was a good idea to show some of the videos, those were good but the text was bit too much. Could be replaced with audio guides.
Parking - paid (I guess it was $10)
Ticket price - $18 for adults and we had a 5 years kid with us, they charged $14 (youth). I reminded them that he is 5 years and she re adjusted the price.

I visited the Sixth Floor Museum on a recent visit to Dallas and was very impressed. There’s a paid parking lot next door which was super convenient. The museum isn’t huge and there were a lot of people navigating it. Although busy, we were still able to see everything that we wanted to. The museum was laid out really well. Upon confirming my trip to Dallas I was most excited about visiting this museum and it definitely did not disappoint. Obviously the historical significance alone would be worth the visit but the educational aspect of the museum is spot on and really helps paint the full picture of the events that led up to the assassination, what transpired after, and who may have had a motive to kill JFK. I would plan on spending at least 90 minutes here to truly experience everything this awesome museum has to offer.

The Sixth Floor Museum located in Downtown Dallas is a very interesting museum that provides a lot of information of John F. Kennedy ranging from when he was born to the conspiracy theories after he died. There are a few places around that will show video of the assassination and the aftermath. I think it's very informative and a fun time for anyone who is interested in Dallas history or the Kennedy family. I do wish that the line for tickets and to be let in after buying tickets could be faster but I understand that they probably don't want it to be too crowded as certain areas were crowded.

Took my boyfriend here for his birthday the other day. We’ve talked about going for years now. We’re both from Dallas yet have never been. I’m so glad we finally went! It’s a self guided/paced tour which is absolutely perfect. It can take quite some time to read through everything and watch all the videos, but definitely worth it if you want the full effect. There was just so much to see and learn. Even if you think you know everything about Kennedys death, once you go here, you realize you really don’t. It’s amazing. It’s a part of history, and it’s amazing to be in an area where history, insanely sad history, took place. It definitely makes you feel lots of emotions. So glad they’ve made the building into a museum and I hope all who get the chance can tour it! It’s well worth it.

I really wasn't expecting this museum to be as crowded as it was. I could imagine the crowds during peak tourist season. They do a ticket by the hour type of system. We did not buy ahead but at 2:15 (on a Thursday) we were still able to slide into the 2pm entrance time. The queue looks long but they allow about 15 people into the elevator every 10 minutes or so the displays can be quite busy with people reading. You don't have to stay in line so if there is a bottleneck you can skip around. I honestly don't think I learned anything new since I've read several books about Kennedy. But it was good to see so many young people there probably learning the details for the first time. Also maybe foreigners. Worth the visit. It was expensive at $25 each. If you struggle to stand it walk for a while there are some benches in the display area but not many. Across the street is the Grassy Knoll you can go to.

Amazing place and very informative.
The entry fee is reasonable too at $25 for an adult.
The museum takes you through the build up to the event from JFK's election right through to the investigations afterwards in lots of detail, including the many conspiracy theories.
It takes around 2hrs to do the self guided tour so it's a reasonable amount of time and it was quite busy on a Saturday morning.
The shop is quite pricey too so be warned - and not everything has a price on it!

Amazing tour! Very detailed information that takes you from JFKs early life, through his presidency, and then the assassination. The tour was very organized as they take limited groups up to the 6th floor, and then you can wander through at your own pace.

This museum does a wonderful job of celebrating the life of JFK and his impact on America, while providing an honest account of the tragic events surrounding the assassination of President Kennedy. They also do not shy away from decades of conspiracy theories and encourage visitors to draw their own conclusions. There's plenty of genuine artifacts, detailed photos and drawings, and personal accounts from people who directly interacted with the President. The building has been meticulously maintained and is very clean. There is a gift shop for souvenirs. If you enjoy learning more about the history of our country, this is a highly recommended stop! Pro-tip: There's plenty of parking at $10 a car, and tickets can be purchased beforehand to speed the entry process.

This is a must see in Dallas. Right across from the Grassy Knoll. The exhibits were interesting and lots of historical context was provided for the JFK assassination.
It is a lot of reading but they do a good job mixing it up with videos, models and displays. I think it could get crowded on weekends and holidays so I’d be sure to buy tickets in advance.

We really enjoyed the museum! It did a great job of covering JFK’s visit to Texas as part of his reelection campaign, the day in Dallas, and the assassination. There was plenty of focus on Oswald but they also provided information on other theories related to the killing. This was a great way to connect to an important part of American history.
I gave 4 stars because of the staff. To a person, they were unfriendly and gave the impression that they were bothered by the visitors. Thankfully, the museum can be enjoyed with minimal contact with them.

What an amazing museum. Everything was done well, from the early part of Kennedy's presidency, to the lead-up to his assassination, to the hectic day itself, and the investigation and conspiracies after. The museum doesn't seem to take sides on what it thinks happened, but reports the facts as-is.
Taking a walk outside afterwards brings it all home, and the Sixth Floor website has a helpful (if sparse) online guide for when you walk around the assassination spot.
The only negative was that it was fairly pricey for a museum of its size, but I would have no problem paying it again.
The revamped observation deck at Reunion Tower offers guests a 360-degree view of the city from its top floor. The stylish space also includes interactive activities to acquaint visitors with Dallas, as well as cameras that let you zoom in on downtown streets.
Great tourist spot to see the city from the top! Admission is $18 per person. They do a photo-op and you can get your photos emailed to you for free at a kiosk in the tower! They have an inside viewing room that has interactive screens. The outside view is cool but very very windy! The elevator ride up is quick and fun to see the city as well! Would definitely recommend visiting! There’s also a small gift shop downstairs that’s reasonably priced!

This 560 ft observation tower of Dallas, a major landmark is definitely better than similar structures of other cities in terms of 360 degree panoramic views and interactive digital experience. I loved this one of the most important and iconic structures of Dallas skyline.
I anticipated the nice experience as soon as we rode through the glass elevator which takes 68 seconds to reach observation deck. I love the breathtaking views of interstate and flyovers with moving cars rolling on.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t experience the rotating floor and the restaurant due to renovations. I think, considering this they should give some kind of concession. We saw only the Geo-Deck floor, which is the main attraction anyway.
Hyatt Regency Dallas is connected to the Reunion Tower. You can pose with the fun props in front of Dallas skyline. This is walking distance from where the President John F Kennedy was assassinated.
The Reunion Tower is the “Reunion” between the old and new of Dallas downtown. I guess, it would be more beautiful at the sunset time with hazy pink sky as the Sun goes down.

Great experience. Definitely recommend going around sun set. The view looking downtown with the lights is beautiful. Most of the staff is friendly with great personalities. There was however one young lady working at the top of the tower who was extremely rude to guests that were from out of the country and the only reason Im giving 4 stars. Overall my family had a good time and was able to take some beautiful pictures.

I recently visited Reunion Tower and had an incredible experience. My advice to anyone planning a visit is to purchase tickets and make reservations in advance to avoid any hassle. Finding parking was easy, and once inside the lobby, simply take a right to head downstairs where you’ll check in.
On busy days, there might be a wait, but it’s worth it. The photo session with the Reunion Tower background wallpaper is a nice touch and it’s complimentary. Plus, if you want to take home some professional photos, they offer packages ranging from $8 to $60.
The elevator ride to the top is thrilling, and the views from the observation deck are absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dallas. And if you’re planning a special moment like a proposal, they have setups available for reservation.
Overall, Reunion Tower provides an unforgettable experience with stunning views and excellent service.

No better views anywhere in Dallas!
Go at sunset, and you won't regret it! We took our toddler with us. He loved it so much! Cold in the evening. Wear a light jacket. It's such an iconic landmark in the Dallas skyline. What a cool experience.

Went here for the perfect date night on a Saturday evening. Tickets were around $25/person.
Reunion Tower is connected to the Hyatt hotel, located near downtown. The tower offers a view of the beautiful Dallas skyline at 470 feet in the air (the best angles I’ve seen for all sides of Dallas). It’s best to go near the time of the sunset as the city begins to literally light up.
They do offer engagement and date packages (which I imagine would make a date even more special).
***I would definitely go back, but my only concern was about safety precautions when allowing people in the tower. Bags and people were not really checked.

Very cool tower to visit in Dallas especially if you’re into stunning sunset and view! We also had free photos taken and got them sent for free on the top of the tower. Such a highly recommended place to take your date to! It’s a little packed but still worth it.

I visited the tower during the day and I was able to get a great panoramic view of the city. They even have some information of what some of the buildings in the distance are. It costs about $20 per person and the elevator ride to the top takes about 1 minutes. I believe there are 24 floors . The tower has a restaurant / cafe on top which was not open at the time of my visit. You can also exit a side door and get outside to go around the tower. It is a great experience if you are visiting Dallas.

I was visiting from Los Angeles and wanted to see some sights. It was already late and this one popped up. It was a perfect choice for something to do at night (I don't know if I would have enjoyed it as much during the day) Very educational and the views were spectacular!
Put this one on your list to do when in #DALLAS 🫠

There are some good views on Dallas and surrounding up here.
It is worth visiting. We went at sunset 🌅 which provided better lighting to buildings. It can get cold outside as it is windy.

You will not regret purchasing tickets to view the city of Dallas from a 360 degree angle. Parking is a short trip down the street, $10 dollars. This trip is worth every penny. It does tend to get a bit crowded in the elevator and on the observation deck itself. You will get a picture taken (props optional) with customized frame options before the ascend up the tower. 10/10 recommend to anyone.

Parking is a little crazy but seeing Dallas from the top was cool. I wish we would have been able to see it at night as well, but we ran out of time! I recommend getting the pass where you can go during the day and then Cole back at night. On their website I also saw bundle deals with the zoo which I think is a good idea!

We visited the observation deck after eating at Crown Block so that we could walk around and get full views of the city and not be rushed. Years ago you could visit the observation deck for free and simply take the elevator up to the observation deck but now it’s two separate long elevator rides lol. We spent about $40 for two to go up. We were trying to go up quickly as we heard them discussing a party of 82 coming behind us! However, we had to stand in line for the obligatory souvenir photo, that we politely declined but the people in front of us did not, before we were allowed to go up. The observation deck is open and was very windy the evening we were. There’s an inside viewing area with limited seating and a gift shop. We enjoyed the views of the city even with limited visibility from the weather. It was crowded and we had a wait to go back down with an overcrowded elevator. However the crowds were. it that surprising. Overall, we had a good time.

Beautiful place to go to. The views were incredible. I got there during daylight, close to when the sun was setting and all the lights came on. Absolutely stunning at night time. It's a must see if you visit (or live in) Dallas.

A great place to admire the skyline of Dallas and the flat lands surrounding it!
The open deck located 143 meters (470 feet) above ground offers 360 degree view, but honestly only a small portion of the view is interesting and that is the one towards downtown. The rest (excluding two bridges) is a bit boring as there is nothing else to see other than the flat lands.
Dallas has a decent skyline and the view from the deck captures everything there is to see. I did enjoy the view after sunset much more than during the day (mainly because most of the skyscrapers were not aesthetically pleasing to me apart from Fountain Fountain Place).
I imagined a place like this would be busy with tourists, but it was not. Very few people visited during Thursday afternoon with the exception of sunset hours. It was busy but not crowded, manageable. There are free stationary binoculars to use.
The viewing platform has also an indoor seating with informative boards and interactive screens, a small gift shop and a restroom. Unfortunately the restaurant is not accessible without prior booking, so we could not even enjoy watching the sunset with a drink.
I enjoyed the elevator ride as it passed through a glass shaft offering a view to the intersection nearby. The price of 20 USD is very affordable for what this experience is.
There are plenty of shopping and eating options down at the tower lobby as it's part of the Hyatt Hotel complex. Reunion tower has its own dedicated parking lot with more than necessary spaces, so you won't have a problem parking.

Elevator ride makes your ears pop. But the Geo-deck is beautiful!! Especially at night with the Dallas skyline all lit up. The views are just great! My only complaint is the wait for the Elevator back down, they have no clear indication where the line starts or ends so alot of people were skipping. And they were doing some type of work outside and it smelled like sewer so that was less than attractive.

A must see! Best you come during sunset and when sun is completely gone. The whole experience 360 was breathtaking. The city illustrated at night with stunning colors of lights. You can lounge for hours and bring a date or go solo like me. Highly recommend it.

As far as any observation towers, buildings or decks go, this was one of the better experiences I've had. Ever.
Monday night at the end of September is perhaps the best time you can choose to come here, as there was literally no line going up or down the elevator, no crowds blocking your view on top, and perfect, clear weather to enjoy the lit-up town below you.
And unlike in New York, Chicago and basically everywhere else, you get free digital copies of photos they take of you downstairs. Next time, I'm going to try the restaurant on the top floor.

One of the best place to visit in Dallas, Downtown. The city view from the tower is really awesome 👍. The total floor is the 50th floor and the 171 mtr height tower. There are enough parking spaces and a parking fee of $10 which is for 2 hrs and it's reasonable. They have a small gift shop in the top viewing area and some games for play. They also take a picture of your group or single in the waiting area while waiting at the elevator and at the top floor there is a screen where you can scan your ticket and get all the photos into your email. Overall it is a remarkable place to visit.

Our half-day exploration of Dallas began with a bang at Reunion Tower, and what a fantastic choice it was! The 360-degree views from the top floor were breathtaking, offering a panoramic glimpse of the city skyline and beyond. But the true highlight was our encounter with Jayme, one of the tower's knowledgeable ambassadors.
Jayme's passion for Dallas was infectious, and his insights into the city's history and hidden gems made our visit even more enriching. He transformed our half-day tour into a personalized itinerary, pointing us towards must-see landmarks and lesser-known treasures we never would have discovered on our own.
If you're planning a trip to Dallas, don't miss Reunion Tower. And if you're lucky enough to meet Jayme, be sure to engage him in conversation and please send him many thanks from Tzvee Shahar – you're in for a treat!

This tower is like the Tower of the America's in San Antonio. It's certainly more spectacular at night because of the color changing lights on it and across Dallas, but day yime visit isn't a waste. It wasn't horribly crowded which was great. The gift shop is really small right now because it's upstairs due to the remodel, but you can find something unique. A giant pencil cost me $10 and a wooden monogrammed pen cost me $14. They take your picture before you enter the tower so be prepared. They offer hats and signs you can use if you'd like. There is a bag check but it isn't invasive. We didn't have to wait long to go up it was about 20-30 minutes.

It's a fantastic spot to enjoy a panoramic view of Dallas all at once. There's a dedicated parking lot for the Reunion Tower, conveniently located nearby. I visited on a late Sunday afternoon and found plenty of available spots. Parking cost me $10. I purchased a tower admission ticket from the official website, which included the opportunity to take photos before riding the elevator. Ticket prices vary depending on your admission time. I tried to print my photos (which cost around $9-10), but the quality was poor, so I wouldn't recommend it.

The view was good. I wouldn't say it was great because all that you see are some skyscrapers and flyovers. Its not as good as the view from some of the other tall buildings in the world I assume. There is nothing really to complain though, entry is $20 per person, took about a min for us to reach the observation deck, looked around, clicked some pics, sat for some time and came back.
Haris Ahmed Sarkar — Google review
Definitely buy tickets in advance and if you want to see the sunset, plan your scheduled time for 30 min or more before the actual sunset since a long line to get the elevator up. If it’s a clear day, you’ll love it! Thanks and enjoy!

Amazing views of Dallas. The best time to go is around evening perhaps 30min before sunset. Then stay until it is dark to see the perfect view of Dallas skyline all lighted up. It was simply awesome. The reflection of the sun on the tall buildings were amazing and then all of them lighting up in the night with different colors was magnificent.
My college buddy from Seattle had come over and he found Dallas view from Reunion Tower has been the best one he has seen around the country from different towers.

Beautiful observation tower in the heart of downtown Dallas. Tickets are a littke pricey for typically spending about 1 hour there. But great 360 degree views of Dallas from the observation deck. For those concerned for weather or less adventurous, you can enjoy the view from the indoor platform. Ticket price includes printed & digital photos of you with the Reunion Tower.
Lois Fong-Sakai — Google review
We had visited several observatories and this one was probably the least impressive. Bright, colorful lights inside the observation deck reflected on the glass, making it challenging to view the skyline at night. This significantly impacted our ability to enjoy the observatory. I don't understand why such lights are required inside an observation deck when the main objective is to view the city.
I think the experience would be a lot better during the daytime when there won’t be any internal lighting. The only thing we liked here was the display showcasing a documentary on JFK's assassination and the option to view the skyline from multiple live cameras. Unfortunately these couldn't compensate for the disappointing experience we had because of the excessive internal lighting that obstructed the view of the city at night.
The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is a 66-acre garden set on White Rock Lake with frequent concerts, special exhibits & classes. It is world-class and perfect for a relaxing day out.
This place is absolutely gorgeous! The plants, trees, and flowers are so beautiful and well kept. The statues are so pretty to look at and they make the garden seem more regal. My favorite things in the gardens had to be the waterfalls and water fountains. There’s also a great view of the lake and lots of great spots to picnic. I would definitely come back!

It took my new fiance and mother to this beautiful place by recommendations from my sister. We thoroughly enjoyed it, the weather was pretty good for that day and there was plenty of things to look at and enjoy. We wish there were more water fountains available is the only thing and maybe some misting fans. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the shade though and photo shoot opportunities. I give this place a four and a half Stars!!

If you like flowers, you’ll love the Arboretum. In Springtime the tulips and hyacinths are so gorgeous and plentiful. There are many other flowers at this time but those really catch your eye. In the Fall they have the biggest display of pumpkins I have ever seen. The grandchildren love running around and taking in all the beauty and exploring the property. Great place to visit, no matter the seasonal.

As someone visiting from out of town, this place was on my list to check out and did not disappoint! It was beautiful with a nice variety of themes and flowers. The pumpkin village was also really neat. I would recommend if anyone else is coming for Dallas and looking for something to do, to check it out. Going in the morning is better if the weather is hot as there is a fair amount of areas in the sun, but there are also a good amount of shady areas as well, which were nice. Overall, it took me around 1.5-2 hours to go through everything with the exception of the children's area.

My children and I visited the arboretum this afternoon to celebrate my son's birthday. The displays, fountains, gardens and views of White Rock lake are beautiful!!! Plenty of photo ops as well. It was extremely hot today, so I wore a hat to keep the sun off my face. I recommend you pack a snack/lunch and drinks, if you have little ones in order to save some money. It can get a bit pricey! I saw several families with their coolers and picnicking, there is plenty of space for that. I had a pecan chicken salad and a root beer float. The kids all had drinks. They really wanted smoothies, but they were all out. There are several locations to buy refreshments. They have several activities scheduled during the week and on the weekends. There is so much to see! I recommend you order your tickets online. We had a good time and plan to attend again during the holidays. ,👍👍

More cultivated than other arboretums I've visited. The plant labels are a little sparse in my personal opinion, but if you're not a plant fanatic it's a lovely place to stroll and get cute photos with the kids. Bear in mind there's going to be crowds if you go for an event like the pumpkin patch. Plenty of food options as well. LOTS of iconic spots for special event photos. That also means you'll need to plan your visit and come early if you want to get to the best spots without competing.

I’m visiting here for Christmas lights and it was very pretty. They decorated the whole arboretum as a shining place and each section has themes. 12 nights of Christmas is the main idea and they display with amazing musics! It’s quite hard to get the tickets. if you planned to see night lights, it’s better to reserve at least a week in advance.

Lovely place to visit. Food is average from the place at the front of the gardens, didn’t eat at the other place. The woman at the ticket window was very kind and informative. The seat cushions were moist, as if they were still drying off from getting hit by sprinklers, but that was okay. Plenty of places to sit everywhere, and decent shade. Saw multiple bunnies and robins and squirrels. Also there were lots of bees but that’s to be expected. An absolutely beautiful place to picnic. The koi pond was my favorite part, as it was nice and shady. I definitely would recommend coming when it’s cooler.

So many picturesque spots, and it was way bigger than I thought it was going to be which I loved. We got a lot of steps in too! The chicken salad sandwich at lunch was delicious and make sure you check out the tasting pavilion by white rock lake area. They make delicious recipes for you to try each week. I visited during summer, the heat was palpable, but the shaded areas and water stations provided a welcomed respite, enabling us to comfortably explore. While some garden patches felt the strain of summer, the dedication of the gardeners was evident in their relentless efforts to keep the environment alive and flourishing.
The staff were notably outstanding. Their friendly demeanor and readiness to assist significantly enhanced our visit. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time, and the picturesque grassy area by the lake left us yearning to return with a picnic basket in tow. I’m keen to witness the arboretum’s transformation across various seasons.
For those considering a visit during the summer months, I’d advise procuring tickets and parking ahead of time. And don’t forget to wear a hat and hydrate!

I've visited here several times over the years. I love coming for the Autumn at the Arboretum event. The fall foliage is beautiful! I love the pumpkin displays as well. We went to the Holiday at the Arboretum celebration. It was amazing the work they put into the 12 days of Christmas scenes. As you walk around the park, you'll come across each one. They look like carousels, and they were moving presentations of each step. The holiday village was fun for kids. The historical house was beautiful with all the Christmas trees and the 600 Nutcrackers. I'd love to go back and see it at night!

This was an amazing experience. It is 100% kid and family friendly. The atmosphere is as relaxing as it gets. We went on a very busy weekend and there's so much space for people to move around, it didn't feel busy. There's a wonderfully educational kids center with a two story treehouse and a boardwalk in the tops of the trees that was so fun. The discovery center teaches about the different souls in our states, plants that grow, animals that live here, and even our atmosphere. You will learn so much without even trying. And the tulips were blooming all over the place. Just beds and beds of beautiful, eye catching color! Do not miss this place! The entrance fee is so much lower than nearby attractions and, I think, a much better deal. Look to spend at least a couple hours here.

Family centered, amazing, and wanting to come back over and over again. It is one of the most beautiful Christmas light displays in North Texas 😍. It is also gorgeous in spring and fall. You will be blessed with flowers and the scents. When you walk around the arboretum, you are surprised at how wonderful the whole garden is. Not only are you seeing, but you are also hearing and smelling the mother nature. There are a total of 12 themes. It is a family Christmas event, so bring your camera 📷. From small toddlers to loving grandparents, everyone is happy to be here. Make sure to wear warm clothes, because it gets cold at night. Avoid weekend nights because it gets extremely busy. It is also cheaper during weekday nights. Parking #4 is located on the opposite side of the arboretum. With the security personnel around everywhere, you and your family should feel safe. The only downside is the unbearable traffic on 635.

3.9.24 I'm from CT, and this was my favorite thing to see and do in Dallas after visiting for a week. The entrance and parking lot is huge, but note, it does fill up. I went just as they opened so easy in and no lines. The grounds are immaculate, tidy, well maintained, and beautiful. If you're into photography, walking, enjoying nature, or the outdoors, you must stop here. Please note that you can buy tixs in advance. You can also bring in your own picnic, snacks, and waters, BUT there are places to buy food and drinks too on the premises. I went during Tulip season, hence my photos. You'll also find lots of benches, a koi pond, young children's area, wedding banquet area, fountains, "living" wall which has real plants growing... it's just all awesome.

Beautiful place to visit near the central part of Dallas. Although it’s not really an arboretum—it’s more of a well manicured garden—it’s a great escape from the city and right next to the peaceful White Rock Lake. They have seasonal themes/events, including the current “Dallas Blooms,” which is definitely worth seeing. If you live nearby, the annual membership pays for itself pretty quickly. They participate in the reciprocal admissions program, which means you can use your membership to get into hundreds of gardens across the US (including the one in Fort Worth—also worth a trip).
Also, be sure to get the soft pretzels when you visit! 🥨

My sister was in town visiting and wanted to go for a trail ride. She has been riding most of her life, and my daughter and mother are beginners. I have been on a horse a few times but am no rider. All of us had a great time. The ranch is full of wooded trails and gently rolling hills, the dogs keep you company all along the ride and there are horses grazing throughout. Our geldings were old but spry, our guide was easygoing and even let us trot for a spot. Highly recommend - best trail ride I have been on for fun.

Very disappointed with this excursion :/. My best friend and I came from out of state to visit Dallas for her birthday. One thing she really wanted to do was horseback riding. We found this place that promised and said “Enjoy a trail ride with an experienced trail guide, spotting wildflowers and grazing cows or scampering squirrels and wildlife. Rest alongside the historic Trinity River under the shade of ancient oaks” which was not the case when we arrived. Also my friend got on her horse, and the workers all called it “a lazy horse” and “a slow horse”. When we started the trail my friends horse walked slowly and was very behind in the ride. It was not an enjoyable experience. For me, I got a “normal” horse, however the trail ride itself was very stressful, sharp branches everywhere, mud and poop. My hat fell off at one point. My friend trailed way behind and we didn’t even wait for her. It was a stressful experience. My friend did not get what she wanted. So after the ride, she emailed the company, and the owner reached out. We talked to the owner the next day. She felt terrible and promised a refund. However my friend has not received a refund to this day. Very disappointed, we ended up riding in Austin the day after. And had a much better time.

The ride was nice even though the bridles were all made from rope which seemed cheap. The barn was a messs it had a broken door look like a horse kicked thru it, stuff piled in the corners and the floor had round metal peace’s sticking up an inch every 10 to 15 feet where old stalls had been removed. The bathroom was an outhouse and the gate for the road needs to be marked and open better. The staff are extremely nice and patient and the horses are friendly. We paid $80 a piece and there were nine of us. We expected a little more.

We did the trail riding which in itself was a great experience and the trail up and down was really beautiful. They even lent us cowboy hats to take pictures. My uncle and aunt didn’t do the horseback riding but they loved the Ranch experience. They also conduct some Summer Camps for kids. Went there for passport got there like an hour before they close and The security guards in front at the check entrance are very rude they say they’re close when they are not just because they have some people in their that doesn’t mean they close so I insisted to go in and they attended me and not even close to time they close. If you go with plenty of time and they say they are close they are not. They did that to me twice ☹️ the first time lost half day of work took my child out of school early for nothing . Made me
Mad after they try doing that the second time 😠

I called multiple numbers that were given to me so I could call and make a payment. Each time I was sent to a voicemail where I left a message asking for them to return my phone call, which they never did. This is very frustrating, because I have a due date for this payment and am paying by card

I had a great experience with Mary Ann she was very helpful and walked us throughout our passport process she took the time to explain and provided us with the information we needed. The other lady who works there has no costumer service and bad attitude and was no help at all.

I had a good experience at this location 5/2018. I was in & out in 10min. I downloaded & completed the paperwork at home and had photo taken in advance at Walgreens. All I really had to do was drop off paperwork, have it notarized on site, and pay. I couldn't believe it when my passport arrived in only about 10 days. Generally, government workers are not known for customer service but that being the case I thought the staff was cordial.

I chose to go to this location because the Dallas locations are always packed. I kept calling to see if they took passport pictures at this location (like they do in Dallas) but no one would answer the phone. I walk in and there are two ladies seated at the counter, and both just looked at me. I guess that is how they greet customers and let you know they are willing to help. I was disappointed to find out they didn't take pictures on site. Go to CVS to get the pictures . I return, and again the same greeting, just a stare. I guess I interrupted breakfast because they both were eating something that looked like a Poptart. I'm sorry I interrupted your breakfast, and I am even more sorry that I am making you do the job that you chose to work. If I ever need anything else, I will just wait in the Dallas offices. What ever happened to customer service?

I called this morning on the morning of 02/04/2019 and the phone was answered by district court staff of Ellis County, and i hate to speculate, but I'm sure I was hung up on. I began my question to the clerk's office and was followed by a tone. I proceeded to call back, then I was swiftly sent to voicemail repeatedly. These are legal matters that affect the lives of many and if the personnel of this district clerks office doesn't care enough about people's live, they should find another profession. I wish that i could upload the audio to show that I have to motive to fabricate such a claim. This is a court clerks office, not a call center. These people have no business presiding over important legal matters of other individuals lives if they are just to answer the inquiries of people within this county, just do your job. Trust me, I wouldn't call this court if i didn't have to. Awfully rude, they can be with lack of professionalism and integrity in what they do.
Shopping-mall chain featuring a variety of brand-name & designer outlet stores.
Great place to get affordable name brand clothes. I like going to buy my dress clothes there. Like Haggar and Van Hausen. There’s spot to choose from no matter your gender or you age, you’ll find something you like here at a great price.

Nice small outdoor outlet mall with some basic stores in Terrell right off of Interstate 20. Unfortunately some of the stores from years ago have closed. Still nice to go for a walk and do a little shopping 🛍.

This place is expensive. This used to be Tanger Mall, an outlet mall. They had reasonable prices. But now it is more expensive than anywhere else. Much better prices at other retailers online or at brick and mortar stores.

Went there to see what was there. Most stores close at 7p. So I was not able to go in many places. The Old Navy is large. Nike has a good selection. Crocs seems to always have a sale when I visit. And you can always find out what's going on in Terrell as they do promote the city rather well.

Something needs to be done at the Terrell Texas location. The mall manager is an absolute joke! He did away with the security guard. There are no cameras. I know of one store that has been hit 3 weeks in a row for over a thousand each time. None of the shops are properly maintained. Stores have to set out buckets when it rains. Yall need to quit listening to his lies about how "good" the budget is and check with the few stores that are actually still there. Before you have to close your doors permanently seeing how 2miles away there is another shopping center that is thriving.

My only complaint is they are stingy with their tortillas. When you order something that requires tortillas you should get enough to eat it. 3 tortillas with the queso flamado is not enough

Lovely state park, we enjoyed every minute of our visit.
Clean facilities and well the pics show better a bit of them.
Be careful if you take the red trail cause in the boundaries of the park you'll find agressive dogs.

I spent half a day here hiking the trails. The trails are flat and there are some nice loops. Wildflowers blooming were the highlight. Pretty. I don't fish but lots of folks out fishing. If I return I'd try renting a kayak, that looked fun. I wouldn't drive too far but it is a nice park for a visit.

Had an awesome weekend primitive camping! We had about a mile hike to our spot but it was a very nice walk. We were even able to drag our wagon! The Highlight was catching a large blue cat right from the bank of our site! Only downside wS they need to treat the fire ants covering the primitive spots. Hard to find a clear spot put up a tent when there are so many. Other than that awesome time!

Nice, on the smaller side, state park. The lake is beautiful. There were lots of people camped up next to it when I visited. There are some trails, which are pretty flat, so they are not strenuous to take. Spring has sprung pretty early this year, so there were a bunch of purple wild flowers out, which smelled incredible. It's worth a visit for sure, but it's a park where it's had to get solitude and no spectacular views to hike to. If you live nearby, it's great to visit.

Purtis Creek was a lovely and easy place to enjoy. The walking trails were well maintained and it felt very comfortable to be there. I did see a place to rent kayaks which is helpful. I only walked, but found the park to be delightful! Also as a quick aside I went during fall and there were tons of American beauty berry plants. It was so interesting

It's a pretty park and decent sized, but not in my top.
Pros: a lot of availability at last minute, the water is nice and cold, a lot of wildlife to see, playground near the swim area for the kids, very dog friendly
Cons: not much room for swimming, the swimming area is small since the creek gets deep very quickly so it's packed, definitely murky water, not many showers so expect a wait
We loved our camp spot. Right off the water and the camp hosts were nice. I feel like in a pinch it will do but not a must see.

This park is great, camped at site 22. Which was on the lake, beautiful view of the lake. Fishing dock and pier within walking distance. Clean bathrooms and showers, and lots of hiking trails. Very clean and nice day use area with playground, fishing pier and boat ramp. Also dog friendly, no stickers or goat heads.

This park may be small but it is big on relaxing and enjoying nature. The campsites are a little close together but we weren't too bothered by neighbors. We saw a beaver, armadillos, raccoons, deer and tons of dragon flies. Caught a couple of fish but nothing to write home about. The sites we had were very unlevel. Other than that, they were nice and spacious sites. Tables are not covered. There are not many trails and they are pretty easy without much elevation change. They do have a park store with some souvenirs. All of the park employees were super nice and informative. There are 2 fishing piers pretty close together. 1 is lighted and the other is not. There is a lighted cleaning station nearby. There is also a large day use area for swimming, picnics and launching vessels. This is a no wake lake which also adds to the peacefulness. The night sky was beautiful although there is some light pollution. We very much enjoyed our stay.

We have been visiting State Parks to see which we like better and I feel Purtis Creek is probably one of our top choices. Talk about well maintained areas. Grass is well cut and it looks so clean. Staff is super friendly too. The camp sites are just beautiful. The sites near the lake are wonderful even though there aren’t too many, but still great. The fishing docks are so spacious and just a great fishing spot. Beautiful scenery. Love the convenience of having the fish cleaning station near the fishing dock

Beautiful and clean! This place is one of the cleanest parks I've ever been to. Many places to hike, beautiful swimming areas, clean bathrooms, and helpful staff! Sooooo many raccoons! They will rob you, but they are cute! I was amazed at how many are in the park! We also watched a guy catch a 16-pound fish. Tons turtles, birds, and frogs. Kayak rental is available as well, $25 for 2 hours!

We brought a large group and got 2 screen shelters right next to each other. The screen shelters are LARGE and have electricity and a light inside of them. We had some people sleep inside the shelters and others set up tents on the same site. We loved our stay and being able to walk to the pier to fish all day and night. We took a nice easy hike from the historic cemetery to the playground and picnic area. All of the restrooms were super clean and welcoming. Our leashed dogs were welcome and they had a great time.

We absolutely love this park. It has one of the best paddling trails for kayaking. It also has some nice hiking/biking trails and several historical markers within the park. There are a couple of playgrounds for the kids. Some of the camping spots are a little tricky when navigating a large camper, but there are a few that can accommodate them.

This place was really clean and well kept. The grounds were beautiful and the hiking and bike trails were great too. Clean bathrooms and hot showers. We stayed in a cabin so we had electricity, grill, and fire pit. We will definitely be back. You may want to book reservations ahead of time as the weekends seems to be pretty booked. The one downside is cell service is pretty ify.

We have camped here several times now and are never disappointed. It's a tidy & well kept park. The screened in shelters are great & they even winterize them. The trails are not long, but they are maintained & clearly marked. They have a playground, swimming & picnic area, as well as canoe rentals. Definitely recommend this little gem.

The drive there was peaceful, avoiding the major hwy. Park is between 2 towns 5min away, no problem needing to get gas or food. Check in was a breeze and ranger at welcome station was very friendly and helpful, that really helps set off the stay, a smiling face. Grab a map and check out the trails. Firewood for sale on side of welcome center by card, a self serve station, very convenient. Stayed in a cabin, big enough to fit a queen air mattress with room to move around with pushing the table over a bit. 2 car parking space next to cabin. Water and outlet plug, bring an extension if needed for items. Park was clean and restrooms were very clean. The only only only downside, but I won't knock a Star rating for this, the cabins and most shelters are fairly close to the restroom. Although this is convenient, if the wind blows towards the shelters/cabins (away from the lake) you will catch a breeze of that septic system. One of the darned if you do, darned if you dont moments. you want to be close and not walk far for restroom, but don't want to smell it either. Fortunately, that night the wind blew towards lake so while sitting outside by the fire didn't smell any bad smells. Lake and rivers to fish! Cleaning station by fishing pier. Unfortunately the family stay was short so didn't take advantage of all the park has to offer. With a 4y.o was able to walk the river trail, just about a mile, doable walk for a kid and tired him out for the drive home. We will be going back!! FYI dogs not allowed in the cabins. Please be mindful of the rules.

This park has everything you want in a park!!! Camping, cabins, hiking (with shade), water for swimming or boating or fishing, a river to explore by kayak, sup or canoe, tons of wildlife, birds of all types, armadillos, raccoons, deer, etc. Bluebonnets in the spring, fall colors. On top of that there is the incredible history of the Fort and the cemetery. A fantastic place.

We had the best time at Fort Parker State Park. Rented a canoe for the day at time of check in and paddled up the Navasota River to the confederate grounds. Bike trails were easy and manageable with younger kids too. Layout of campsite, and shelters and cabins were great. Will be back for sure. I park staff and rangers were polite informative and pleasant to work with. Lots of canoes and kayaks for rent. Lake is shallow and if weather is good, it's easy paddling. Will be back for sure.

This is a fantastic park. Kind of a hidden gem to be honest. I went on July 4th, 2023, the most popular day for people to get outside and grill, and there were just a handful of people there (like 15 people max, staff not included). I went for some family kayaking with my parents, and we basically had the entire lake to ourselves. There was one boat, and two other people kayaking. The bathrooms are very very clean, AND have A/C (a blessing in Texas heat). It's a very quiet park, gorgeous views, very polite staff, and a lot of beautiful seating areas for the family. The water is amazing too. It was 95°F+ outside when I went, but the water was still very cool, and with it being a relatively shallow lake, it makes it a fantastic spot for kayaking at any skill level as well. The hiking trails are amazing too, and easy going for any skill level. The park is also all around clean wherever you go in the property. With the low traffic of people in this park, it's quite nice. Very nice, really. I enjoy meeting new people at times when you're out camping, if they're polite and considerate of other campers, but this quiet park makes it possible for a beautiful getaway type spot to have in your back pocket if you want to be outdoors with no disturbances. I highly recommend visiting this park, and I recommend taking a kayak/canoe (the park offers rentals) out into the water if you can to explore the lake, and to get a very natural view at the variety of birds available in this area.

This is a nice State Park. The restrooms and showers were very clean, but the shower heads waste a lot of water. The Park personnel were very friendly and the park was very clean. This was our second time to camp at this park. We only saw one white pelican this time, though. Perhaps, there will be more soon.

I only came to hike, specifically I went on the Baines Creek Trail. It was scenic, quiet, and clean. There were some nice view points along the way but overall it was a rather plain 2.5 one-way hike - even the “hills” weren’t exactly hilly. On the bright side, it made for a great trail running time on the way back. Beyond that, it’s a nice getaway - close to Dallas but not crowded like the other state parks.

We went on December 23-25. The park was almost empty because it was Christmas time. It rained the night we got there and next morning but we got out on the trails once the rain stopped. We stayed in one of two cabins. The cabins in this park have power, a light and heat/ac and a picnic table. No beds so bring your own. Nice view of the lake and a fire pit and second picnic table outside the cabin. By the bathroom there is a tree with possibly the biggest burl I have ever seen. We thought we would find more mushrooms after the rain but maybe we were too soon after the rain. Most the mushrooms we found were on logs and would have been there anyway. There are cardinals around the cabins including one who thought he found a rival in the neighbors jeep mirror and kept attacking it.

Pretty solid state park. Easy drive from Dallas.
We camped in the primitive section. Ok sites. Some back to public road that goes to houses and boat ramp. Not constant traffic, but occasional drive thrus that doesn't give you full peace and quiet.
Many of the primitive sites have some sort of slope. Manageable but worth noting.
Primitive sites only have vault toilet. You need to drive to bath house for showers and flush toilets.

A relaxing place to visit near town. Camping and kayaking in a not too crowded place.
1460-acre park alongside a 2400-acre lake, for fishing, camping, hiking & horseback riding.
This was one of our favorite trips and sits high on the list of favorite campgrounds. It didn't hurt that we nearly had the whole park to ourselves since we camped during the very brief winter storm this year. That aside, the campground was very clean and well maintained. There were plenty of trails some of them very scenic, some of them simply meandering through the woods. The lake was beautiful and quiet and very serene. There were only a few boats this time of year and as mentioned, nearly zero people present. So we had nearly all of the wildlife to ourselves which meant we got to see a lot more wildlife. We did see a couple of bald eagles from a distance, which was a nice treat. The bird watching area was particularly cool and there were literally thousands of ducks in the cove. When they would get startled it sounded like an ocean wave. I can't help but think it would have been a far different experience if the campground was full like we thought it was going to be. But I'm sure it would be pleasurable either way, just in different ways. We will definitely go back.

We had had plans of camping at this state park this summer. Unfortunately, with the news of a developer trying to take over, we were afraid that we would never get the opportunity to see this beautiful place. We decided to make the trek down this morning and it was absolutely beautiful. The campsite sites are gated off since there is no overnight camping but everything else is open. We did the bird loop trail and the scenic trail by the Eastern boat ramp. We also had a picnic at the day use area where the beach and everything was beautiful. I'm praying that this park remains for local residents and for all of those who enjoy the state parks beauty. It would be a darn shame to see this part go away and I've already reached out to our local representatives to try to fight for this park. Spoke with some of the employees that aren't even sure if they're going to have a job if this goes through. Praying that this park can stick around and we can get a true overnight camp in! I definitely recommend making it out here while it is still open.

Drove through and used the day-use area this weekend. Trust me when I say I KNOW this is not the most accurate time to get a reading of the park since it’s closing on Tuesday and people are rushing to use it while they can. That being said there was a lot of traffic when we went, and idk if that’s typical for the park year-round. I will say though that the bathrooms are tight spaces and the one I went to was quite messy. Again though, the messiness could be because a lot of people want to see the park before it closes. Another thing is that I’m not a big fan of the tent sites being intermixed with the RV sites. Lots of the sites are close together. I feel like you wouldn’t get much privacy camping here. However, it is unfortunate that it is closing down :(

This is a beautiful park! I saw deer, river otters, armadillos, possums and racoons, ducks too! It's spacious, clean and best of all, no road noise from nearby highways! Super staff. Major downer-swim area is getting taken over with some sort of lake weed. Sort of looks like seaweed. It's choking out the space and looks very nasty. The grassy bank area has lots of picnic tables and looked pretty nice but the water? Yucky. My camping spot in the Springfield loop was very nice and butted up against the lake but again, it's so overgrown with lake grass and the weedy stuff, you can't access it or really even see it, which is unfortunate. It would be perfect to have some lake access for kayaks and paddleboards right from the camping loops. The boat ramps seems pretty busy with big boat traffic. A lake side trail would be awesome too! I'd definitely come back though.

I've been here a few times over the past 11 years, and my kids and I still love it! From the petting zoo, to the zip line, to the playground, giant sand box, and huge games (checkers, chess, jinga, and connect 4) They even have a cute mini golf course. Prices are very reasonable, honestly cheaper than you would expect nowadays. Not only on entry but for food and drinks as well. Definitely a great place to take the kids for some outdoor fun.

We visited on a cold wet Saturday and still had a blast! My kids are 7 and 8 and a fantastic age to enjoy 7 Acre Wood. We warmed up with hot chocolate, fed the very sweet animals and played on the playground, zip line, mini golf and more for four hours. The staff were sweet and helpful and made us some decent lunch. $4.50 for a kids sandwich, chips, brownie and juice box. Thank you! Picnic tables are just outside the entrance if you prefer but you can't take your own food in. Parking is close and very convenient.
I would highly recommend 7 Acre Wood on a warm day (not much shade in the summer) and with kids around 10 and under. Goats can get lively so watch your little ones fingers! You'll get a fun day out that won't break the bank (pony rides are $5 inc tax, feed cones are around a dollar and feed bags $5 each). Your kids will be talking about the goats, sheep, Llama, donkeys, deer, highland cow, ponies and guinea fowl for weeks.

Just one favor to ask of the owners. Please trim the ponies hooves. Long over due for a farrier.

Very cute little farm, took my toddler one evening last week and it was completely empty. There were so many things to do here. Lots of playscapes for different age groups, cute concession stand, and of course the adorable animals! We had the whole place to ourselves. There are a bunch of flies, but that's to be expected at a farm. I'd suggest going when it's not too hot outside, Texas is heat is intense.

My oldest went on a fun pony ride, and my youngest had the time if his life playing in a sand pit full of obstacles and adventures. There is also a small mini golf course which is nice. And then fields to play any sport you'd want. Highly recommend this place if your looking for somewhere to spend a day with family.

Needs some updating. Like where are all of the scooters for the track? Or the tricles for that track? Could not find ping pong balls. Sand castle sets were spread out it seemed all over the park. The hand puppets need to be disinfected. But reasonably priced admission and concession. 🤷♂️🤷♂️

Affordable farm experience. We love petting zoo, something that expensive Dewberry farm doesn’t have. Lots of animals, lots of places in shade, ping pong, golf, train, pony rides, feeding animals we tried it all and enjoyed this Saturday.

Oh my gosh! Took my niece her for spring break. She loved it. For $15, she was able to do everything, feed the animals, ride the train, take a pony ride, putt putt golf, and play for hours. We had lunch there as well, plenty on the menu and the covered area to eat at was really nice. There are tons of photo opportunity areas as well. Definitely a place to go for the kids.
Camping, white bass fishing, hiking & swimming destination with horseback riding & a pool.
Stayed 1 night on 1/3/21 in camp site #59 with a C class camper. All hookups available and in good shape. Plenty of room with a beautiful view of the lake. A relatively short walk to bathroom facilities which were unheated but clean. I would definitely stay at this campground again.

We arrived on Friday around 215pm and was greeted by two very nice ladies at check in. This was our first time to any state park and were a little unsure of how all this worked. They walked us through it and got us checked in. I purchased the one year park pass to all the state parks and it got me a discount on my second nights stay.
The facility was very nice and we found the park to be well maintained. We easily found our RV spot and were pleased with the setup. Only thing I wish we could have done was trim a couple small branches that contacted out 5th wheel. The park was quiet even though there was a huge influx of other campers arriving to the park later that evening. Everyone was respectful and kept their sites in order. We will definitely be back in the future!
The park store was nice and just FYI if you have the state park pass you get a good discount on the stores items. A lot of people brought their kayaks and boats. We were just there to unwind some, which we did. Overall I give this a 5 star experience if you are looking for relaxation with access to a BIG lake. If you are looking for a ton of activities, then you may be a little disappointed unless you bring them yourself.

We stayed at the screen shelters. A little dirty with spider webs but was fine. They had water and electricity which was very convenient. The shelter also had a top bunk area accessible via a vertical wood ladder. Had wood table bench inside and outside of shelter. A barbecue fire pit was also available with free wood.

First time here and it was a real treat. I came with a group of women to camp and socialize. All of us felt so rejuvenated packing up. I love that the campsites are close together, the trails are easy and not so elevated, and the rangers are very friendly and knowledgeable. Will be back in May to try out kayaking and fishing.

Beautiful, well kept campground with lots of trails to hike.
Great fishing on the lake, rv sites well level and plenty of room between sites with fire ring at each site.
Plenty of firewood available for purchase at park
Beautiful sunsets on a beautiful day!
Definitely a must visit!

We stayed at a shelter. The view is so good. Lake view, the sun set. Although they have bug screens, they aren't well sealed. Bugs are still able to get in. You can still open your tent if you want bug free place. Depending on the location, some bathrooms look better than the the one near our shelter.

Lake looked nice. Good spot for fishing and boating and camping from the looks of it. Lots of rangers and volunteers keeping it clean. I went hiking and the trails are pretty basic and easy. Perfectly nice but I got eaten alive by mosquitoes. I don't think I've ever been swarmed like that. Make sure to bring and apply insect repellent.

Beautiful park. Very clean. I absolutely loved it there. The campsites are very spacious. I definitely recommend this place.
The fishing pier is nice sized and has lights on it for night fishing.
The activity areas were well maintained and a lot of fun.

A quiet and beautiful place to spend time with family and friends. There is a entrance fee, for adults and kids under 12 do not pay. You need to check in at the entrance and then continue the road where you are going to find spots for diving and swimming. They have kayak rentals, showers and even an event venue.

Fantastic camping location. Staff is top notch and very friendly. Camp sites were clean and well taken care of. I had 2 bathrooms within a 1 minute walk. It rained over 6 inches the 3 previous days but camp site was still very usable. Trails were a bit sloppy but expected with the amount of rain. Nicest park I've been to near Houston. Lots of activities for kids

This is a beautiful park, with nature's friends everywhere you look. The trails (that we experienced) were stroller friendly, and there was no shortage of picnic spaces. There were many interactive learning spots along the trails, also.
The activity center was very nicely laid out, and it had a wonderful view of the lake. The kids enjoyed the slide and swings after our light "hike".
When camping, we enjoyed the large campsites. Pin Oak section was complete with electric and water hookups for campsites. The shower house/bathrooms were very tidy and decently clean, and I really appreciated the stall layout for the two showers.
The store has a observation tower, and you can also find a Nature Center inside for the kids!

Very nice care of the park. Beautiful view and sites for RV trailers close to the marina. Currently some issues with the water system limits the capacity of visitors. Make sure you have a reservations no matter is a one day visitor.

Seren and most amazing place near Houston. Maintained carefully by government since years. If you live in Houston and still not enjoyed the nature here, you have lost something. No hustle and bustle like Galveston or Kemah.

Beautiful park with friendly staff. If you're planning to swim in the shallow area I'd recommend wearing water shoes because there are a lot of rocks. They kayak rental is done by phone. The code they send you doesn't work sometimes, but you can text the service provider and they usually reply within a couple minutes with a new code.

Arrived after dark and paid via an envelope. $14/tent site. They provided a nap but I could not find the tent sites. I ended up staying a a rig site. I didn’t use any electricity. Washrooms we’re typical State Park type but no heating. You’d never want to shower as it would be too cold. I found the night quiet and I felt safe.

We stayed in the Piney Shores area. The loop is nice and clean, sites are very clean and well maintained, this loop and the Yaupon Loop have full hookups. The water pressure is great. Used the bathroom by the cabins/boat ramp and it is nice and clean. Will definitely come back. The park store/nature center is great, well stocked and the rangers are very nice and helpful.

We've glamped at many state and national parks, and Lake Livingston is in our top three! The lake is serene, and they have many campsites overlooking it. The sites are spacious with concrete pads and full hookups. We were there in February, and we saw too many bird species to list here. The trails and roads are easy to navigate, and they have a large fishing pier (although no one was catching), observation deck, camp store, day use, and so much more. Also check out the nearby town of Livingston, especially the eclectic historic district. What's not to love?

Park is nice and quiet. We stayed in red oak area with full hookups. Site 42 at red oak. We were by the bathhouse so people would come from the woods to go to the bathhouse and walk on our site. The site has a lot of trees and would be great for summer shade camping. Concrete pad was level. Watch out for the ditches. It can be tight when trying to park. Trails are wide enough for bikes. Lots of picnic tables and day area, boat ramp, and fishing pier. The playground is small with swings and a slide. There is a small camp store. They have interactive with reptiles at camp store....be careful! Restrooms and showers are very clean and have hot water!
Saw a lot of birds, squirrels, and plenty of squirrel nests. This is one of our favorite state parks.
If you get a chance to go on a hike, please go. The Rangers are very knowledgeable. Thanknyou Ranger Eric

This is an excellent state park with numerous facilities to ensure an active and fun filled escape from your everyday routine. The park staff is friendly and helpful and the maintenance personnel are out early and often to keep everything in good shape and clean.
Hiking, fishing, horseback riding, archery, bike riding, boating, paddle boarding and enjoying nature and the fresh air are all readily available. There are a variety of campsites available for RV’s and separately for tent campers both near the lake and further away for more solitude.
The campsites are fairly large and well arranged for setting up a comfortable camp. Unfortunately, there is not sufficient foliage between the sites to provide a noise buffer. So you can easily hear the activities of your nearby neighbors if they happen to be a bit noisy.

Very unpleasant experience. I tried on jeans and wanted to wear them immediately. Treated me as a thief. I was not allowed to shop anymore and was forced to go to the cashier. One sale rep asked another one how many pairs of jeans I tried on. I understand this is some precious measure, but please try to do it in a different way and not in front of a customer.

Store needs training in customer service. I walked in, and the employee did not greet, did not notice I was inside the store, and was running his mouth with a customer. I could have easily taken stuff. I looked round and still did not notice I was in the store. I went to Burberry, and Versace wonderful service also felt welcomed. If they don't care to acknowledge the customer, then don't spend your $$$ at armani.

Armando went the extra mile for me. Even though his store didn’t have the black tux I needed in my size, he called a tailor to see if they could size the larger tux to my size. When that didn’t work, he found the tux I needed at the Allen, TX. store. He’s a customer service professional of the first order. Never had such a hard time spending a thousand dollars in my life. Refused to swap a pair of pants from a suit to make an correctly fitting ensemble. Instead found it a better idea to try to sell me on a jacket that did not fit correctly. Have bought suits from here in the past where the employees had no problem switching out the pants to the correct size. Would love to buy more suits from here in the future but the policy prevents me from doing so. Unreasonable policies, unhelpful employees and deceitful sales tactics made my most recent visit a 1 star experience.

Be careful about the products’ price of this location. I bought a watch for $242 and it was originally listed for $445. As soon as i got home I checked on google and found that the watch listed on many other websites including Amazon for only $140 and the seller is also Armani. There is no refund, no price match, only exchange but I don’t trust their products anymore
I feel so disappointed the way i am not trusting this brand any more. I called the store there is no email for corporate to communicate with. I can only talk to the store manager when she comes back to the store, which i am sure won’t offer me a full refund
But how come there is no customer service for a company like this !!!! No email neither phone number!!!!

After being rudely talked down on by a Calvin Klein employee for dressing unprofessional and not allowing us to try on the pieces assuming we had no money, We ran over to this lovely establishment. We were in a rush to find a suit for my interview so Alise, a super helpful and wonderful woman, helped us choose out an amazing woman’s two piece $1500+ suit that was for sale $279! WHAT A STEAL! Not only was she sweet and super helpful, She let me try on the clothes too! Unlike CK, she knew exactly what she was doing and never looked down and degraded us for how we dressed! So, not only did I leave with my first Armani suit! I also got the job!!! Thank you so much Alise for all your help and patience and hard work! And thank you Armani for such amazing pieces! 💕💕💕

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is an outdoor music venue surrounded by trees. It features live music, theater and dance shows. Halsey is bringing her Manic World Tour to the venue on June 16th., and presales start 1/16 at 10am.
I've always loved outdoor theaters and this one is one of my favorites. There is so much to enjoy. If you choose you can sit under the canopy area. I always prefer lawn seats. They prices have gone up but they had a major renovation so it's understandable. You can enjoy cocktails, beer, or wine before the concerts. It's a small but comfortable venue.
Vanessa Loera — Google review
I've been to the pavilion for a couple of concerts now. I really have enjoyed both experiences. You have the option of getting seats or sitting in the grass (less expensive). There really isn't a horrible seat in the house. Although the venue is open to the weather outside, they have large fans blowing to help keep you comfortable. I will go again.

Cynthia Woods Pavilion green lot has FREE parking and easy access to the pavilion. Maybe a 5 minute walk across one street. I saw several people bring lawn chairs and listen in the park outside of the venue. Inside the seating is either covered or lawn seating (no cover). There are concessions with various options including burgers, wings, bbq, chicken strips, nachos, pretzels etc. alcoholic drinks and virgin daiquiris as well. Fun place for an evening date. Whiskey Myers and Willie Nelson were there the night we went. There are several amazing bands on the schedule. I do recommend checking the day/morning of to get the best prices. Front row tickets were as low as $130. Check with will call or the box office for last minute deals. We usually book through ticket master and end up paying service fees, but I’m told it’s better to call.

I appreciate the fact that this pavilion had free parking and that they allowed you to bring your own food in a gallon freezer bag. Beverages were not allowed in the gallon bag though. I would recommend exploring the website before visiting because this venue offers a lot. It is really large and a really nice place for a concert. Keep in mind that this is an outdoor venue. You will be exposed to the elements when here, so dress accordingly.
After the concert let out, officers and stadium workers did an amazing job in directing us and getting us to the freeway as quick as possible. Overall, I had a great experience and really enjoyed my concert.

Truly it's beautiful here . They have lots of clean restroom they also have a lot of different venues. The Hill area is wonderful kind of looks like Miller outdoor theater. But on both sides they actually have a lot of views on both sides I don't know if it's the same. Yes yes it's beautiful.

Very nice venue for concerts. We had dinner first after parking for the concert and then rented lawn chairs. The lawn area is artificial grass which was very nice.

Went here for the first time since living my whole life in Texas and I was shocked at how cool it was. It's small and I mean that in a great way. It's an intimate venue and the renting of lawn chairs in the general field is the best idea ever. The whole lawn is graded so even if you sit behind people, you can still see everything. The food and drink options are amazing and I was totally satisfied. I saw dead and company here and I hope they have more shows here. My only suggestion is to bring a water proof blanket for the lawn. Bot that its always wet, but just in case its damp and u dont want to rent a lawn chair just have the blanket with you. Parking in the area us great and mostly free, too!!

This venue always puts on the best shows and their entire staff is always friendly and helpful no matter how busy they are. Security is well prepared and the medical teams they have there are on the spot. I witnessed some commotion in section 105 I think and staff, police, and medical responded quickly and appropriately. Once things settled down and I saw they were helping someone leave the seated section I noticed it was a friend of mine and his wife was in the wheelchair. I spoke to him later in the evening and they were home safe and doing better. Thanks to the quick actions of the staff things didn't go worse for my friend. Thank you all for all you do.

Important things to know: no purse or bags unless they are clear. Small wallet size purse 4×6 inches allowed, but will be searched. Metal detectors at entrance. This is an outdoor venue. Be prepared with sunscreen and cool clothes. Even under the covered area, the sun shines bright until the sun sets.

Since we live out in Richmond, Texas, I rarely come out this far to see a concert, especially during the hot summer days. Fall and winter are fine, but triple digit heat, no thanks, unless you have seats under the roof covering.

Tons of fun! The Ghost concert was AWESOME!! The only thing that sucked was they watered the lawn before the concert has started so if you had lawn tickets hope you brought a blanket or something to sit on so you don't get your clothes all wet. Which we did not, not knowing they had watered the lawn! So we had to stand the whole time, which sucked. Other than that, the concert itself was AMAZING!!!

What are the better concert venues in Houston area. The best I’ve ever been to, but definitely the number one place to go see a concert if from Houston or the surrounding area. better environment and Toyota center and easier to relax and enjoy the show. Tickets are also more flexible in price because of the option or the lawn price. They also host free shows every now and then.

Great venue! I highly suggest you grab paid parking when you buy tickets, will save some walking. Free parking was well lit and staffed however.
Like all of these types of venues, drinks are expensive.
Great seating options and if your budget puts you in the so called "cheap seats" the video boards are large and clear.
Semi-outdoor with a lot of seating under the cover and large fans moving air.
Bathrooms were accessible and clean.

Covered seating is better. The center seats are best because they are elevated and have waiters for food and drinks. They have cheap tickets on the lawn area. The public restrooms have many stalls. There is an air conditioned area when you first enter, but you can't take alcohol out of the area. You can buy food and drinks outside. Parking took forever and it always does because of the traffic flow. So get there early. Also be aware of purse size and types - bigger purses are not allowed.

Very good venue. Great security at the gate and only a five to minute wait to get in. You will not be allowed to bring your own lawn chairs. I love this place. We have premium season passes, so we go whenever we want to go. But the lines are so long for the water slides && the stairs- oh lord it's so many stairs. But it's worth the 30 second ride. The food is pretty high, but they let you bring water bottles in. Other than that , me and my brothers have a blast here every year. I recommend you should go get a season pass to this water park next summer. Oh and let's not forget, the waves in the wave pool is so big. I love it!!!!😹🪴

The park was a blast. The kids had a great time playing and going on the rides. The entertainment was well worth the money spent.
The only drawback was the food. The food left alot to be desired, huge lines, a 45 minute wait to order, the best part was the fries. The burger was burnt, the pizzas weren't done all the way, but after almost an hr waiting for food it isn't like we could send it back. For $120 bucks to feed 6 people, it could've been better. So that was disappointing.
But other than that, the park itself was great. The staff were friendly and polite, the lines weren't too bad, and the kids made some awesome memories. The restrooms were well maintained, the facilities in general were clean, and the lifeguards were very prompt and professional. We don't usually go to large water parks, but this was definitely a memorable experience, minus the whole food debacle. 4 stars

It's a good water park but crazy having to pay for parking and then a locker and then food on top of tickets. Especially in this economy. And we bought a float for my 1yo nephew and it was not allowed in any of the pools. That was a bummer.

Started going here in 1988 when all my friends got summer jobs here… it was great then. Brought my kids on season passes from 2005-2012…. It was great then. Came back today with my 23-year-old daughter…. It’s still great now. It’s a public pool, y’all. Come with realistic expectations about the crowds and cleanliness. Also, come with a cooler that you can leave in your car to exit, eat lunch, then go back in, or go to one of the many fast food places adjacent to the park. The concessions are very expensive. You can bring in one bottle of water — bring a big one! It’s hot. But it’s such a great value to have a perfect summer afternoon. I loved the addition of the metal detectives and x-ray machines. It’s safe like the airport, so you can just relax and enjoy your day.

Absolutely awesome! Great family get away that won't break the bank. The only issue I have is folks claiming seats and literally using them only to store thier belongings. My first ever visit to Hurricane Harbor and I was disappointed. Unfortunately, the weather didn't hold up too well. The water park opened at 10 a.m. and by 12:30 p.m. we were told to get out of the water as there was lightning nearby. An "act of God" can not be blamed on HH. We wanted a rain check voucher, but was told by HH staff that they would have to officially close the park for the remainder of the day. If they did close the park, we would have to return to customer service at closing time to receive our raincheck voucher.

Arrive early to secure a spot, there’s areas with chairs and tables you don’t have to pay for. Fun for all ages. We didn’t rent a locker we left our belongings for hours unattended with no issues. We brought bottles of water but food is not allow inside. Avoid buying food if you can, too expensive. You can leave the park (to eat )and return, you will get a stamp. The lines were pretty long but it was worth it, some of the slides have only one employee and maybe that's why the delay. Overall we had lots fun and planning to return and rent a cabana for a different experience.

Purchased a season pass because we live close. It includes parking. Everything is quite pricey right along with everything Six Flags. Got the souvenir bottle so we get free refills for the rest of the season. They have a kidde areas which is perfect for him. I was even able to slide down a couple larger slides with him on my lap. We enjoyed the lazy river and also the wave pool.
The National Museum of Funeral History is a museum that displays artifacts related to funerals, including items from famous people. It is unique because it is the only museum in the United States dedicated to this topic and it is also the largest educational center on funerary customs in the world.
I was not sure what I was getting myself into but I gotta say that this was much more then I expected. I was sorta expecting some low key or maybe goulash thing but it wasnt at all. It treated the subject with a very important overview that had me learn more then a few things.
It was pretty easy to find if a bit out there in Houston. The price was good and while maybe not a thing for very small kids. I can see this being a place for more mature kids.
I went during the week so it was not crowed at all so it gave me time to really look around at everything. If you want a museum unlike anything else anywhere then this is the place.

Even though I am not catholic or even Christian I found the history of the Popes funerals extremely interesting and I also really enjoyed the different burials and Funeral histories. Definitely recommend!

Place is large and tastefully done. Nothing macabre or creepy about it. It’s informative and interesting. Covers politicians, celebrities, regular everyday folks, the Pope, and Jesus. It’s clean and wasn’t busy when I attended. Nice to walk around and not have to wait to see exhibits. If you enjoy wandering cemeteries and reading headstones, this is for you! Gift shop to purchase items as you enter/exit.

I had no idea how extensive this collection was. It took over 2 hours to see everything! There are so many items and informative plaques. This museum has put an extensive effort into the collection and display of funerary knowledge. 10/10 will return

Absolutely amazing.
I can’t believe it took me so long to get here.
I’m thrilled so many schools do field trips here.
I would fallen in love with history at such a younger age.
Whether you go left or right —you’ll start with some big history either way. We went towards the dead presidents and made our way to the popes. In between are amazing vehicles.
There’s an entertainment section.
As well, as history of mourning and cremation.
I could’ve stayed there for hours.
I learned so much.
Beautiful displays and so tastefully done. Nothing was morbid or sick.
I feel I could go back once a month and see/learn something new. And with only a $10 entry fee—it’s absolutely feasible to do that.
The gift shop is the only time I’ve felt moved to buy something.
This place is truly a treasure for the Greater Houston community.

We had to visit this place. It’s such a great experience to come here. A ton of history and some of the best exhibits. A lot of presidential burial history and items. Most of the exhibits are very well done. This place is huge. Loved all of the different areas that are covered from all over the world. A must see if you ask me.

This visit has been on my wishlist for a few months! There is everything from Presidential funeral information, celebrity memorabilia, funeral coaches and cars to religious exhibits. Everything was neatly displayed and easy to read. Photos are allowed. Give yourself 2-3 hours for a leisurely stroll.

This museum is amazing! They have a beautiful collection of hearses throughout time and lots of interesting pieces of funerary history. The exhibits were well lit and easy to read and navigate. It has been one of my favorite museums I've ever visited.

My wife and I brought our son to this museum the last couple of years to a trunk-or-treat car show they host. We love it! 🎃

Loved it. Who would have thought a morbid subject could produce an interesting museum? The funeral carriages from the pre automobile era and the early hearses have amazing workmanship.

This museum is awesome, we had the best morning here. Rob, our volunteer tour guide was awesome and peppered our experience with interesting information and anecdotes. He says he is only there on Thursdays, so try to schedule a trip then! The theological context is interesting in the Catholic section of the museum, but it would be exciting to expand the collection to include non-Eurocentric or non-Christian approaches to death. Would also really benefit from more information on more alternative approaches to end of life processes. The work of Caitlin Doughty would be an example. We had a great time and would highly recommend you to anyone visiting Houston.

Awesome museum near Houston, one of the more unique and content-rich ones around here. Not a large place but has a lot of artifacts, weird facts and interesting history around the culture of funeral. Nicely organized and separated into various sections. I'd recommend spending about three hours here, I went for a bit less than two hours and definitely did not have enough time to browse through everything this place had to offer.

Great museum. There was a lot to read, so definitely allow a bit of time to visit. Lots of interesting things to look at as well as interactive displays. Gift shop was pretty awesome too. It was a great place to spend the day in Houston.

Excellent museum! We have enjoyed this museum numerous times. We go back about once a year and the temporary exhibits are always interesting. And the permanent exhihits continue to amaze me. We love the scavenger hunt but I would suggest walking through the museum slowly first then do the scavenger hunt. This is so you can observe and enjoy the exhibits first before getting into a scavenger and miss something. We like this museum because we get educated, in a gentle, informative way about the processes taking place after people die. There is nothing morbid or gross or scary about the exhibits. They are all well thought out and selected to communicate a specific process in the death & burial processes of ours and other cultures.

This place is a hidden gem! SO interesting! We loved it. I not sure children would find it of interest but my husband and I really enjoyed our time there!

This was such a fascinating and interesting museum! There's a few relics from different celebrities including a pair of shoes Robin Williams wore during RV and a funerary hand out from Dr. King's funeral. There's plenty to read and plenty to lear. Currently, they have an exhibit regarding the shroud of Turin and it was very informative. The git shop lady was an absolute peach!

I consider myself a taphophile, someone who likes cemeteries and funerals. When I found this museum while planning for free time during a work trip I was super excited. It was a cool museum but I felt like it could have been better.
A lot of the displays seemed random, not super tied to funerals.
That said, there was a section on famous people's funeral cards and programs. That was fun going through it although I'd have liked to flip through them (they were understandably behind glass). At the very least it would be cool to have digital copies I could scan a QR to access to flip through.
The display on the Shroud of Turin was also a highlight, super fascinating and provoking to the imagination. Also, Kane Quaye's fantasy coffins were fun.
Ultimately, I enjoyed the experience and would recommend it but I felt the ticket price was a little higher than it was worth.

Out of the spots we chose to see during vacation, this was the furthest drive and glad we did. We went on a Monday before lunch, with no wait.
Like other reviewers mentioned, it’s not macabre. We loved the information packed into this museum. It showcased US Presidents’ funerals, info on embalming, clothing worn, Papal funerals, options available for yourself and loved ones when deceased, and the different vehicles used as ambulances/hearses. Wish it had more about funeral customs around more parts of the world, besides the few countries it did.
Thank you for getting the Shroud of Turin exhibit. It’s beautifully done.
The interactive quizzes were fun. We earned our 10% off and got some cute gifts from the museum shop.

This was an amazing museum way bigger than I expected. They have lots of fascinating exhibits including the Vatican replica of the shroud of Turin, right of papal death, presidential deaths, history of embalming and it's Egyptian origins, many interesting herses throughout history that are in great condition (no one better to care for a vehicle than an undertaker as they are often garaged and cleaned regularly), as well as fascinating coffins including one made of glass and one that was made for three people. Definitely worth checking out. I even got a tour from a worker that is only there on Thursdays, but he made my experience so mu h more interesting giving me a lot of history I might have missed if I went through on my own.

Death is something I've never been afraid of, and I don't view it as macabre. Still, I didn't really know what to expect when we arrived at the National Funeral Museum.
It was tastefully and respectfully done. Yes, a few things were a little off-putting, like the old embalming machine and replica crematorium chamber, but mostly the museum paid tribute to many celebrities and historical figures as well as death traditions and customs. Some of it made me melancholy, but only briefly. Mostly it was interesting and I learned a lot. I would definitely recommend for history and museum buffs and folks who like to go off the beaten path for activities.

I have been here several times.
If you're looking for unique places, this is a must visit museum. It's not what you think. There is a lot of history here.
For a moving experience, visit three Journey of the Shroud to Houston.
I can guarantee that you will enjoy yourself.

Very interesting place.
We were in Houston for a day before a cruise out of Galveston. My friends were skeptical but agreed to come. We pulled into the parking lot in almost didn't go in. It is in a sketchy neighborhood with very secure fencing around the parking lot. There are signs in the parking lot saying They are not responsible for personal vehicles. However when I walked in there was a security guard who sits in front of cameras monitoring the parking lot. I do have to say the security guard did not have much of a personality however. The only other employee we found was the woman at the cash register, slow was an understatement.
I also was concerned about accessibility for a wheelchair. That was no problem either.
We ended up spending over 2 hours here. Grab a scavenger hunt when you walk in, makes it even more interesting looking for the answers.
Many different rooms for different interests. A room with celebrities, the Pope. Presidents. Interesting customized caskets.
I love their slogan any day above ground is a good one.

Amazing museum to visit with my family! Very educational and informative even to my non-morbid family. Thanks so much for the great couple of hours
Lake Houston Wilderness Park is a large and heavily forested park in north Harris County that's popular for hiking, kayaking, camping, and horses. The nature center has displays of habitats from forests to wetlands, as well as information about the park's wildlife.
Amazing park close to Houston with tons of outdoor adventure options available from hiking to camping, bike trails and even a creek that is open for swimming. They also have a nature center and picnic areas. We love to hike so we spend our time on the hiking trails. The trails are easy, but there are plenty of miles to get a good hike. It’s beautiful and peaceful and not overly crowded, especially on the longer trails. It’s $3 per person to enter but completely worth it as the park is very well maintained.

We went camping for Easter. We really liked the park. We got the campsite for 50 people and it was pretty big. Plenty of space and tables. Grill, fire pit, and a big sink. We were close to the playground and bathrooms. A lot of walking trails. The kids had so much fun . We are definitely going back

Took the kids for a day trip. This is a great place to hit some easy trails with bridges and boardwalks. Very well maintained with perfect picnic spots. The playground was great for after lunch and post hike. The Nature Center is a wonderful little spot for any kid. They have a room for all the different wildlife that can be found there. It was pretty interactive and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be making more day trips, especially with Spring weather around the corner. Kids under 15 are free and adults just $3. Also, can be a little muddy in some spots around Peach Creek. Only complaint is they didn't sell magnets lol it's our souvenir of choice.

Best nature trails in all Houston. Highly-rated and recommended.
Fun for every age. The cabins on the Lake are perfect for a getaway from the big city and totally feel somewhere completely different

Today was my first time coming here and I had a great experience. Outdoors and multiple things to do throughout the park. Started at the peach creek trail and rode all the way through twice. Sandy at some points so definitely ride with caution! The A frame camp sites are pretty cool too!

Good walking trails around the lake and river creek. There is white sand beach access along the creek and well maintained bbq area. There are several beautiful cabins by the lake. Each cabin has two queen beds and a pull out sofa that sleeps six total. I will consider rent the cabin in the future. It is catch and release only if you are interested in fishing.

A pretty nice park, but the signage is not very good. We did an interior hike that was very nice - didn't see a soul. But after hiking 5 miles you don't want to struggle how to find the main parking area. Trail exits were not clearly marked. Otherwise, it was a nice park. Once the Grand Parkway is completed it will be easier to get to.

We enjoyed a day out and went for a 4 mile bike ride with kids ages 4,5,7,11,11, and 14 the trails were perfect for everyone in the group. We ended at the park, had a picnic 🧺 lunch; then headed down to the stream so the kids could splash around before heading home. This is a nice spot to escape the city. If you go just know the visitors center is closed Monday and Tuesday but they do currently have some baby gators 🐊 the kids can go see.

This is one of our favorite parks!! The place is kept clean and the trails are amazing! The playground and nature center is one area the kids always ask to go to. The pebble beach area was mostly under water on our last trip, but that did not deter the kids from getting in the water knee deep!

I love the shelters!! I have small children so it’s nice to camp and not worry about cars driving by our site. We bring a wagon to get our things from the car to the campsite, it’s a little extra work but it’s worth it for the safety. The nature center is fun for the kids. They love the playground and the sandbox too.

Cabins were very comfortable and clean. The park is beautiful and close to Houston for a weekend getaway. I don't think you should have to pay to enter the park after you pay to stay in cabins. $3 per person per night. The address is completely incorrect on the website, and if you use your navigation, you will wind up lost. I would definitely go back.

Pretty cool vibes ! First time there n just walked an hour on a trail. Took some cool pics tho. Nice area w a creek that someone was having a kids birthday at (genius), lots of walking n trails, little lake and lakeside sites. It’s a huge park so I’m sure I only scratched the service but we def wanna go back n explore more

Camped this weekend. It was awesome! What a great hidden gem with so many amenities and trails that we plan on returning often. Great fellow campers...everyone was friendly and helpful to us as brand new campers. The park is super clean with the nicest and most well-attended restrooms and sites. Cannot say enough nice things about this park and its staff!

This is a very nice park administered by the City of Houston Parks Dept. and Montgomery County. The park is about 5000 acres and has 26 miles of hiking trails. You can tent camp or camp in an RV, not a lot of RV spots so book early but they do have full hookups which is nice. We were in #2 on the Red Oak loop which encircles Lake Dabney, a small man made lake. Each campsite has a fire ring and a picnic table. The staff we interacted with were really nice. There is a $3 daily admission fee but only for people 13-64, so kids and seniors can enter at no charge. Our RV site was $32 which was fair since it had full hookups as mentioned. There were nice restrooms nearby, albeit they were not heated so a bit cold on a frosty morning, there are also private shower rooms which we did not use.

I absolutely loved this park. For camping, for a day pass with the family, friends. Lots of barbecue areas and playground. Even a little creek to cool off. Also can bring your kayak and explore the lake.

The park is clean and pretty. I love the cute A - frames as they are the perfect size for 2 people. The staff is also very friendly.
I'm taking off stars because the website is terrible. It gives me a headache everytime I need to make a reservation or even worse find my reservation. I hope they revamp it soon.

We went for a Cub Scouts adventure walk. There is so much to see if you are patient and observant. Although the highway is extremely close now that they completed the 99 toll road, this feels like an escape from all the city noises.

The entrance fee at the par is $3 per person ages 13 - 64.
The park offers camp sights, cabins and occasional activities. The staff was friendly and helpful.
We went on a interesting 6 mile hike. Most trails at this park are “easy”. Along the trail you will see and hear many birds, see activity from Javelinas, Crayfish and see Bobcat tracks.
