Family-friendly ski & snowboard area also offering Nordic terrain, a mountain coaster & tubing.
Very friendly staff. My kids took snowboarding and skiing lessons, they liked the coaches polite and extremely responsible (especially Keith and Ian). A little issue with the order of the line for the lift. Kids just don't have manners keep on cutting the line. But very enjoyable.
Sam Yeung — Google review
Really enjoy snowboarding here!!! The mountain itself is large enough to have a variety of trails, but small enough (and affordable enough) to feel like an old school mountain resort - which it is!!
There is a nice lodge at the top that offers draft beer, along with some food and an awesome view of Lake Winnipesaukee and Mount Washington!!
Gunstock also has a great deal; for $50, you can get a night lift ticket AND rentals!! That is an incredible deal
Keith Constant — Google review
I visited in June, the mountain coaster alone is worth the visit! The ride lasts about 5 minutes total (including the ride uphill) if you go as fast as it allows. You can slow down with the brakes if you want to enjoy the views. Which are beautiful by the way! There is also an outdoor church that meets at the summit on Sunday mornings. That was really cool, although they aren't always at Gunstock Mountain, they visit different locations.
Alex — Google review
Gunstock offers incredible views of Lake Winnipesaukee, and even Mount Washington. Terrain is generally well maintained, and the mountain offers a decent selection of trails. Terrain parks were also very good. My only suggestion would be lift upgrades.
Joe P — Google review
I would give this place five stars if my experience this weekend were a little different. It actually hurts to post only three stars right now! The mountain itself is awesome and the staff is very friendly. There are plenty of runs open and since they limit lift and tubing tickets, wait times for lifts are super reasonable. My only complaint is relative to my experience with the advance purchase tickets for snow tubing.
I pre-purchased tickets to speed the check-in and it most certainly did not! The ladies at the tubing check-in shack couldn't figure out why the barcodes from my confirmation email weren't working and after 20+ minutes of frustration on their end, irritated people behind me (since we hogged one of two counters), and a whole lot of patience on my end, I finally asked if anyone else could come help. The lady assisting us said no, not at the shack, and sent me to the main building to check in my group. The guy inside the building was super friendly and able to find the six tickets immediately by scanning the same barcodes in the email I showed to the ladies! I think they were scanning the wrong code at the top, but whatever. Long story short, 35 minutes were wasted on a process that was supposed to expedite things. That's A LOT of time paid for and unrealized when ticket brackets are only two hour time frames. Don't get me wrong, we had a A TON of fun and I would definitely go back, but not gonna lie, kinda upset that the paid time was not made up to our group for something that was not our fault.

Today was Belknap County Day. Got to choose the Mountains Coaster or Scenic Aerial Ride for free. (Normally $20pp)I live here and this was my first time. Love, love, loved the aerial ride. Lots of trails and a playground for the kids. Food and drink available too. Pets welcomed.

Gunstock provided a spectacular venue for our daughter's fall wedding. The views for pictures at the top of the mountain were breath taking and the chair lift ride up with the wedding party was a blast! The ceremony at the pond with the fall foliage was also beautiful. You'll find Gretchen, the event coordinator to be responsive, professional and invaluable. All the staff were friendly and very accommodating. The lodge offers plenty of room for a large wedding with warm lighting and a grand fire place. The food was absolutely delicious from rehearsal dinner to cocktail hour to the reception dinner and the bar staff accommodated stocking the bar with beverages of our choice. Family and friends who traveled from CT. stayed at local Airbnb's and the Gunstock camp ground which offered close and affordable options. So grateful the kids chose Gunstock for their wedding celebration. It was truly the experience I hoped it would be for my daughter and her new husband.

This is a great year-round resort to visit! We just did the Belknap County Resident Day and got to ride the chair lift and the mountain coaster for free! The chair lift ride was very relaxing and there were great views from the top. The mountain coaster was a blast! They also have a zip line, ropes courses, and playgrounds for children ages 2 to 12. Do check online though for age and height requirements for some of the adventures. There's even a swimming hole (but no lifeguard). You do need to have closed toe shoes (sneakers are recommended) for all the adventures except for the chair lift. The resort also has quite a large campground on site. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

Gun stock has always been one of my favorite mountains. Very user friendly with many different types of terrait's easy to get to from just about anywhere. Ticket prices are through the roof everywhere, but gunstalk seems to be. A bit lower than a definite work very hard to make snow and get people on the slopes
Jason Paquette — Google review
We had a great tubing experience at Gunstock! We bought tickets in February 2021 and memories keep coming back. It can be super busy, so the line can take some time. Otherwise, the ride down the hill is really fun and enjoyable. There are several other opportunities like skiing and snowboarding. Probably my favorite place for winter sports!
Nathan Santos — Google review
Conditions were okay, the staff were super friendly and helpful. The resort is very organized and easy to navigate. Had a solid two days but the ice on some of the trails definitely made it a challenge. For a two hour drive up from Mass it was a great choice. Airbnb in the area was inexpensive since it's not Loon
Kevin — Google review
This is one of my absolute favorite mountains, second only to Sugarbush. The views are amazing, the trails are beautiful, the glades are challenging yet doable. The ski patrol is efficient and friendly, im sorry that I needed their services because it meant the end of my weekend, but it was an amazing mountain yet again
Kellie Buker — Google review
Gunstock did not disappoint. Beautiful resort. . Went to the Bronco OffRoad Rodeo the scenery was breathtaking.. very clean would go again
Barbara Perkins — Google review
Staff was great- friendly, knowledgeable, helpful. Adventure park was well staffed. Campground staff addressed issues promptly and completely. Campground is very large, but there are NO pull-throughs for very large RVs. Outdoor pool, dog friendly with a dog park. Nature walks. Playground. Nice small brook running all through the campground. Campers have access to walk/bike in adventure park and get discounted ticket prices.

I came to Gunstock with some friends to ride the chair lift to the top of the mountain. It was an awesome fall activity to do and the views from top to bottom were amazing. Definitely recommend!

This has been one of my favorite mountains since I started snowboarding almost 34 to 36 years ago and always a great spot the workers have always been there to help whether it's on the mountain or in the store or even a cafeteria I'm hoping after I heal after back surgery I'll be able to snowboard again and gun stock will be the first ticket prices are insane everywhere but on the stock always maintains high-quality of everything and definitely worth the money

First time skiing since 2008. It was awesome. Loved ever minute of it. I bought a season pass for during the week. Looking forward to going again.
Robert Pace — Google review
We love this mountain. They have great trails for all skiers. I luv the warm family feel. The restaurant in the lodge is great and trina is the best server. Miles in the ski shop was super helpful with everything. My boys are super excited about the new waffle cabin too.
Mindy Frankel Meier — Google review
I have some skateboarding experience so decided to try snowboarding. I scheduled a lesson to learn more and got partnered up with 18-year old Derrin and learned a lot! A lot of trial and error but he was patient and great demonstrating where I was messing up and how to correct my balance and posture on the snowboard.
Javier Rivera — Google review
Nice ski resort. There is a wide range of runs, some of which are fairly long. The only negative is that there is not a lot of space for eating on a busy day.
Atlantic Ocean swim area with day-rate & metered parking, bathhouses, an RV park & event facilities.
This is a good beach for locals or vacationers as it's usually well kept. There's an assortment of shoppes open in the summer and enough activities to spend the day here. The beach is beautiful in winter, the sunrises are just as stunning in February as they are in July. Worth a visit if you're in the area, but there are definitely better areas 20-30 minutes away in Maine.
If you happen to be visiting between May-August the center of sea creatures in worth a visit. Located on the beach, it's a small building with a one-way walking loop inside. There are touch tanks and more information than most can digest in a single visit. The staff are very passionate about their studies as most are undergrads working for the summer.
The beach shoppes are what you'd find at pretty much every other recognized beach / pier area. Toys and summer clothes are available for a higher cost.
If you're 21+ Bernie's Beach Bar is a great place to spend a (probably drunken) evening and night. They have a live showing venue on the second floor with a few mini bars, then a connecting deck with a full bar. We came July 2022 to see Lil Jon and some local artists perform. Not a good place to bring a 'pack of smokes' though, they do a decent search at the door and got mine from the inner seam of my wallet. Oops!
Jade Young — Google review
Very nice beach...great wave action and on particularly good days is popular with surfers! Almost like two beaches actually-- sandy and great for swimming to the south, and rocky and made for exploring to the north. Sidenote: very, very popular for walking dogs...I like dogs as much as the next person though like happens so many place they get a bad rep b/c of inconsiderate owners who don't pick-up after them.
Dan H. — Google review
Visiting this park in the off season is a very pleasant experience. There are no parking fees. Dogs are welcome on the enormous sandy beach. Two of the three restrooms are open. The size of the playground is so large, and the equipment is so colorful, that if I were a child, I'd consider it an amusement park .
Jim Giddings — Google review
A great beach in the summer!
Activities, concerts, great seafood, bustling boardwalk!
I particularly enjoy the off season.... The horses are able to walk along the ocean
You can also walk your dog on the beach.
The tides are also higher this time of year.
Love being able to spend time at Hampton Beach...any time of the year!

We don't need to go to Florida!
Everything is in here, beach is nice, water is warm, food is unique!
Family and friends are welcomed to visit this amazing place.
I would love to comeback during this summer and enjoy the beach vibes!

Hampton Beach State Park is a fantastic coastal destination. The beach itself is expansive and clean, with soft sands and picturesque views of the ocean. The park offers ample amenities, including clean restrooms and outdoor showers to rinse off the saltwater. The well-maintained boardwalk is lined with shops, eateries, and entertainment options, creating a lively atmosphere. Lifeguards provide an added sense of safety, making it a family-friendly spot. Whether you're into sunbathing, swimming, or simply strolling along the shore, Hampton Beach State Park offers a wonderful beach experience for visitors of all ages.

Massachusetts Senior Skip night was handled very well by the Hampton Beach and surrounding area police departments. We grew up coming to Hampton Beach from Maine, and the kids involved were vile and disrespectful. Thank you Hampton, please stay safe. We will continue to help support your town and townspeople. Massachusetts, I am sure you taught your children better, and I am sad these are the times we are living in. I do realize the kids have been locked up with Covid for more than 2 years and have a lot of steam to blow off.

Beautiful beach in the New England area, in New Hampshire. Never expected to see such nice sands and water in the North but the place is amazing. These pics were taken on the 4th of July so expect a lot of people during bank holidays, other than those, it should be super nice.
Mario C. Torres — Google review
Scenic beach in the New England area. The cities of Concord and Manchester are nearby. This is a perfect summer destination to add to a New England itinerary, especially headed north to Maine. My itinerary started in Boston and ended in Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Maine. The Atlantic waters are cold even in the summer. The sunrise is something to behold. On the weekends and holidays, try to get here early for parking opportunities. If headed upstate New Hampshire the white mountains are a must see especially in the fall with the changing leaves.
Richard Grant — Google review
Hampton Beach is a classic New England seaside gem. The long stretch of sandy shoreline and the vibrant boardwalk offer something for everyone.
The beach itself is clean and well-maintained, perfect for sunbathing, swimming, or taking a leisurely stroll along the water's edge. The views of the Atlantic Ocean are simply breathtaking, especially during sunrise or sunset.
The lively boardwalk is packed with restaurants, shops, and amusements, providing endless entertainment options. Whether you're craving seafood, ice cream, or souvenir shopping, you'll find it all here.
Hampton Beach has a fantastic, family-friendly atmosphere, making it a wonderful destination for a day trip or a longer beach vacation. The combination of natural beauty and fun activities makes it a must-visit spot on the New England coast

The area was very clean, nice view of the ocean. Everyone that was walking by us was very friendly. One lady even offered to take a picture for us
Katy Pruitt — Google review
Great beach in New Hampshire. But avoid going during winters. All beach facing restaurants are closed.
VEERAJ RAJPUT — Google review
I love coming out here every year and seeing the sand sculpting contest, the art work in them is insane! There is also some really good food and cute little shops to check out also! A little pricey but that's to be expected with the beach right there and everything else. Love also going to the deep sea fishing trip right up the road from here also! Absolutely amazing experience!
Jessica Tapp — Google review
This beach is so beautiful and love to visit. We had a family gathering and we all found the staff was very rude to each of us entering, shouldn’t have staff members working with people if they can’t be happy and welcoming. We are all guests and should be welcomed with kindness. We are NH residents and very disappointed in our states choice of staff.
Jennifer Sullivan (JenStar) — Google review
Love coming here. We came during the end of hurricane Lee because we're nuts lol Most of the stores and restaurants were closed but we kind of expected that. My husband and I ate at the Sea Ketch. Delicious! and we got to watch the beautiful scenery 😁
Crane Beach is a scenic conservation site situated on the southeast coast, boasting pink sand, dunes, and a pine forest. It derives its name from the crane bird. Visitors can engage in various activities such as kayaking tours and hiking on nearby islands while enjoying picturesque views of the Atlantic Ocean and Essex bay. The beach is considered one of the most beautiful in the state with well-maintained dune trails providing breathtaking scenery for nature enthusiasts to explore.
Certainly one of the most beautiful beaches in the state…would highly recommend checking out the gorgeous dune trails which provide breathtaking views of the Atlantic as well as Essex bay

Beautiful beach to hang out with friends and family. Yes it does have a nice bathroom/change to clean up afterwards
Danny Quynh Lam Ong — Google review
It is one of the best beaches in New England. I have come here a few times with my family already, and we always have a great time. The water was a bit chilly today, but the views are picturesque, and the sand is perfect for making sandcastles.
Arik Burakovsky — Google review
I grew up on cranes. Best beach ever! Has improved a lot since I was young. School District "Cranes Day" celebration every year was a blast, unforgettable. Had our Jr. Prom at the castle, and partied for the night in the dunes. Parking was free to residents and partied many weekends in the parking lot. The sand is great. Walking the waters edge all around to alcoholics cove and back to the castle area. I am blessed to grow up there. However, change happens, and freedoms diminish with excessive population. It's not the same comfort zone. However, if you grew up here, and you keep in touch with good friends, it's always enjoyable revisiting Ipswich. I now live in the White Mountains with 5.2 acres and love my privacy, but I always return to visit special friends and relatives.
Rebecca Thatcher-lord — Google review
We had lots of fun with the CraneOutdoors kayak tour from the Crane beach. We were on the water for about 2.5 hours and then hiked on one of the islands. The sunset tour was truly beautiful. A big shoutout to Stan, Ric and Ken, our tour guides. They are so knowledgeable and fun to kayak with. I’d come back for other activities.
Wenting — Google review
First time the other day. Heat wave all week and the water was about 62 (tolerable but not for too long).
$40 for parking is quite expensive. I think $20 would be fair and maybe $30 for non-MA residents.
Beach was mainly clean. It was about 96 out and got a blister on my toe from the hot sand. Gentle waves, so great to relax in. Very clean bathrooms, and a shower/foot wash area.
Has a food bar/truck but I brought my own food. Saw a fish in the water the length of my arm. Found a sea snail the size of my fist. Many seagulls (one pooped in front of me in the water). Horrible green headed horse flies. Had one in the morning when I got there (wouldn’t let me be), and came across a few more walking down the shoreline.
If the parking wasn’t so expensive (and was a little closer to home), I’d come here again.
Got there around 8 when the place just opened up (on a Friday), and no car line. I think the lot fills up by 11 or noon.
Sharleen Britt — Google review
Crane beach is one of the largest coastal conservation areas in the area and is certainly a jewel of the entire north east. There is an extensive trail system throughout the peninsula, beach dunes and pine forests that are well worth exploring. Do stay on the trails however, as the vegetation regeneration is extremely sensitive to foot traffic.
Cyrus Foote — Google review
A peaceful and lovely place to spend the day on the beach relaxing, sun bathing and doing other beach stuff.

Beautiful and serene as I would describe it. Loved the sparkles in the waves. The best time to visit this place is when its not too humid and has sunny weather. Get your beach mats and take a nap!!

Crane Beach is a great area to visit in Ipswich! My family played some chess up by the castle before walking down to the beach. We went in early June in the late afternoon, so we were the only people on the beach.
William Higgins — Google review
The Crane Beach estate stretches for ~5mi of soft sand beach length with some short trails through the inland sand dunes. Walking through these is a pleasurable experience. There is an entry fee of ~$40 without a membership so be prepared to pay at the parking entrance.
Sparsh Bansal — Google review
The beach is absolutely beautiful! I am from out of state and did not realize that it would be closed and you can't go to watch the sunrise, so that was a bummer. But we went back later in the day and paid $10 to visit. It was absolutely worth the $10. I absolutely love that they keep the dunes safe for wildlife. So many shells to collect as well.
Heather Rae — Google review
Very clean beach and several dune trails. We went on a short dune trail to go birdwatching. Some nice waves, but not too big. Beach makes an effort to conserve grasses and areas for birds to nest. Changing rooms and rest rooms available. Discounted parking rate if you got after 4 PM.
Samantha deManbey — Google review
Super expensive parking but if you can come with friends it is so so worth it! Tip- they drop the tickets every Thursday which is nice that it doesn’t sell out in may for the summer! This beach is super clean and super beautiful, the water was not filled with seaweed and was just delightful to be in (of course it was cold). There's also tide pools on one end and you can see two currents clashing together it's pretty cool. Definitely recommend this place! Also their bathrooms are so nice - like spa nice considering it’s a beach - though be warned it’s not sewage like with a flush, basically just a pit.
Highly recommended! Tony & his crew were awesome! It did take us 3 tries for a flight due to weather, but the third time was the charm! It was totally worth the wait! Tony was very accommodating giving us priority once he had a cancellation since our previous flights didn’t happen due to weather. At the end of the flight, you get a flight certificate and a champagne toast in hot air balloon cups! There are t-shirts and pins available for purchase as well. The only down side to the whole experience was that there were no bathrooms at the meeting place that you go to at the beginning and end of your flight. Regardless of that, five star experience!!
Caitlin McLoughlin — Google review
My husband and I had a great experience on our balloon flight! Tony is obviously very experienced and careful. We had a beautiful day, and could see for a hundred miles or more in all directions! We had a soft landing in a grassy back yard which the residents were happy to see us! Lots of fun and laughs, and I got to take video of a marriage proposal! It's a very unique type of flying experience and I would recommend HIgh 5 as they are safe and fun.
Christy Buchanan — Google review
Amazing experience and crew! Tony the pilot was a great air guide showing us all the notable sights and sharing fun facts about the art of hot air ballooning. Interactive experience as we got to help with the set up and take down of the balloon (optional of course but why wouldn't you) and shared a mimosa toast at the end per hot air ballooning tradition. Highly recommend!
Phi Truong — Google review
Had the crazy idea to ride on a hot air balloon... Well the experience was amazing, we witnessed a beautiful sunrise and the beauty of NH. Tony is an excellent pilot and a resourceful historian. We learned all to be known about our surroundings and the history that has made New Hampshire what they are today. We had a great time and was able to celebrate later with some mimosas. I would recommend anyone to ride with Tony as you will not regret it. Another check on my bucket list for another great experience.

Had a great day floating with High 5 in Salem, NH. The basket was walk-in which made loading and unloading very easy. The support team was a key element to our success as they were at our landing spot ready to help during the landing. Tony is a capable and professional pilot who made us feel safe and in competent hand the whole trip. With the teamwork exhibited at High 5, we came to see why their safety record is so good.
Thanks for a great day!

Excellent! This was our first hot air balloon trip and Tony and the crew from High 5 Ballooning made it a great trip. Tony is a friendly and engaging host which adds to the overall experience. We will definitely be coming back!
I would highly recommend High 5 t anyone looking for a hot air balloon experience in NH. Thank you again.
The Currier Museum of Art boasts an extensive collection of both European and American art, ranging from the works of Monet to O'Keeffe. The museum also features a wide selection of decorative pieces in its expansive space. Visitors can expect to see a variety of modern and contemporary art alongside American crafts, including several paintings from the Hudson Valley school. Notable highlights include pieces by Picasso and Van Gogh, making it a highly recommended destination for art enthusiasts.
Relaxing. Quiet. Enjoyable. Interesting. Thesaurus. Words. Oops 😬!
A mixture of modern and what would be considered classic art from mainly Europe 🌍 and the US, including sculptures and furniture available for close up viewing. A few of the pieces, such as the Van Gogh, have a rope in front with a motion detector, but you can get up close to study the pieces. There are benches and a few chairs to sit and observe the 🎨 paintings.
I had a brief tour with one guide and learned of the history of the museum.
I learned of a free admission Saturday that happens each month from the Hippo 🦛 Press newspaper 📰.
There is a small Andy Warhol exhibit which is mostly videos he took of people looking into the camera for several minutes. Celebrities such as Bob Dylan and Lou Reed are shown. This exhibit had been at the museum 🖼️ for about 10 years.
There is a restaurant/cafe available. Elevator for the disabled. Gift shop as well.
If you enjoy art 🎨, check it out!

We didn't actually tour the museum exhibits, though our tickets allowed us entry. We were there to go on a tour of the two Frank Lloyd Wright designed homes which the museum owns. The tour was amazing. I have visited many house museums, and can state that our docents, Jim and Mike, were a great team. Very entertaining and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour to folks who may be interested.

An amazing museum, though compact, has a lot of variety. You'll find some nice European art, as well as American art, including several paintings from the Hudson Valley school. There's some nice modern and contemporary art, as well. The American crafts are nice, as well.

We spent some time experiencing the museum's collections and had lunch at the Café (delicious!) before our main purpose of being there, which was touring the 2 Frank Lloyd Wright designed homes the museum owns. The home tours were fantastic, with very knowledgeable and personable docents.
We would like to go back and spend more time at the museum itself.
We highly recommend the museum, the cafe' and the home tours.

Went here in high school and had to come back when I visited my home state. Beautiful art and exhibits. I was asked to keep my backpack at my side, very politely, not like you'd wear a backpack. But the option of putting my backpack away or in a locker was largely stressed. Even after I mentioned I needed my bag because I carried necessary emergency meds in it. Then was constantly followed and watched by the same 3 people. Even the initial person who told me to keep it at my side and was pressing about putting my bag away said "the Lourve let's people use backpacks like that but not us haha" other than that great art work and informational pieces with them. Still would recommend but I guess maybe bring a purse and not backpack if you have to carry emergency meds like me?

I thought this was a Currier and Ives museum... it is a nice collection of art, has a fairly steep $20 admission... I saw several great pieces of art, but no Currier and Ives pieces. They do manage 2 Frank Lloyd Wright homes, but tours aren't offered that frequently but you can drive by and appreciate the exteriors.

This is a beautiful gem of an art museum. Well worth the trip if you are an art-fan in Manchester, or New England in general. I saw several pieces I could identify as being famous.
The entrance fee is reasonable, and I would recommend the Currier for a day trip. It is on the smaller side. A complete walkthrough of the museum took approximately 2 hours. Museum curators are working hard to be appealing to many different audiences.

I always love going to The Currier.
Very accessible galleries with beautiful light and atmosphere.
Love to grab a bite in the beautiful courtyard as well. And peruse the gift shop with their lovely stock. A good place to buy gifts that are unique and will be appreciated.

Cool mostly modern museum. Late night Thursday and w free concert maybe free for all after 3pm (?). The atrium is gorgeous and music is tasteful. Some big names like Joan Mitchell abstracts (featured in Masterworks platform). Parking on their lot is free.
They also own 2 frank Lloyd wright homes nearby. The spring/summer tours are often sold out in advance on weekends. I haven't been able to get mine!
Located in Salem, Massachusetts, the Turner-Ingersoll Mansion was built by sea captain John Turner in 1668 and inspired Nathaniel Hawthorne's 1851 novel, The House of the Seven Gables. The house is a well-preserved example of early seventeenth century New England architecture and features seven gabled roofs and classical facade.
Very nice tour of the house that inspired Hawthorne's book. The docent was knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was a bit expensive but the care they took keeping and restoring the facility was evident. Good for families and adults.

A must see stop if you're visiting historic Salem and want some great history of the colonial days. Absolutely beautifully restored homes from the famous novel and historic Salem. The tour is a must if you want to view the interior of the homes, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and had answers for every question we could think of. I really thought it was cool that we got to go up the hidden staircase was super neat and unexpected. Well worth the money for the tour (it's the only way you can view the interior of the homes anyways).

We did the walking tour in the garden. The paid tour has times and we would've waited an hour and a half, so opted for the outside.Approx $15 a person for this part. Beautiful gardens. Very peaceful place and the view of the water was incredible.

Our guide was outstanding, she showed us The House of Seven Gables and explained its history so well. Getting to see the original structure (atic) the secret staircase, the reasons for the rooms and ceiling heights as well as the grounds was quite an experience. The Hawthorne house was also quite impressive with how they moved it to the property to save it from being turned into a parking lot. Honestly well worth your time if you're in Salem.

Definitely a must go in Salem! Originally, I wasn't going to take the tour but because I don't read times places open, I found myself with some free time. I was not disappointed! I highly recommend the guided tour of the House of Seven Gables. There's a self-audio tour of the grounds, but as a fast reader, I opted to read versus waiting for the voiceover to finish.
This place is so cool and there's lots to see. The staff is informative and patiently answers all questions. Definitely recommended!

A fantastic building and some classic historical early settlers architecture. The entire house and gardens has been made into a museum exploring the history and people that lived there. There is a great link to the literary classic the house represents and there is also a great self guided audio tour that you can access through your mobile phone while exploring the gardens.

This was well laid out. The location had several historical buildings in the property, including the House of the Seven Gables and Nathaniel Hawthorne's birth home. You pay for a guided tour of the Seven Gables and then can go on self-guided tours of the others (one was not open when I was there) and the grounds. The tour guide was very informative. The grounds are beautiful. There is also a gift shop with several interesting things in it.

I love touring historical homes, and this one was fabulous. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and was very patient with those of us who really wanted to soak it in, especially with pictures. Everything about this historical home (and the grounds) was beautiful. This, along with The Daniel's House, made the trip to Salem worth it. Big Zero for the rest of Salem, which is just a big tourist trap, mainly for those interested in the occult.
I took a ton of pictures, but I've only attached a few. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here!!!

It's one of the historical houses of old times. It's over advertised, as most of the places in the US. Unfortunately, very little remains from the original home as it was restored and modified according to the novel. If you just walk by yourself, it won't be really interesting. Tickets will be more expensive with the guide, but it's really worth it. We had an amazing guide. It's like you are watching a fairytale. He is a very talented one. Tour takes around 30 min. As he said, the price of every ticket goes to support the newly arrived immigrants in Salem. Still recommended to see!

Simply breathtaking! House was amazing and the tour was informative, captivating, and entertaining. Tour guide did an amazing job presenting the info I really can't say enough to praise the experience. Also had an 8 year old who thoroughly enjoyed the place, including the scavenger hunt! Well done and stunning house and grounds!

Amazing tour of a historic building in Salem, MA. We didn't buy tickets ahead of time, so when we walked in and paid, we were given a time to return to the building for the tour. The tour is very affordable and is open year-round. We visited in September 2022 and had an excellent experience. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and painted a very realistic picture of the history of the building in regards to the local area. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

My three friends and I thoroughly enjoyed coming here. Great history and plenty of photos to take. The gift shop was super cute. And the views of the garden/property and water views were beautiful when we were there on 10/09/2022. I'm so glad we had this on our list of places to visit on our 3 day trip. We came all the way from Pennsylvania and had been planning this trip for 2 year's and had to wait because of Covid. We're all hoping to come again next year as well. Thank you to everyone working here. Everyone was so friendly and nice.
I sure hope someone was okay, as we were leaving there was an ambulance, fire rescue and police there.

If you are a fan of history and Nathaniel Hawthorne, you will love this stop. The tour is a bit pricey, but if you are a fan of his work, you will enjoy every bit of this stop. Stroll the property, learn about the hidden stairwells and other surprises, and how the house grew to the House of the Seven Gables. We also learned how the house became a Settlement House. Again, if you love history or Nathaniel Hawthorne, this is worth it. If not, you may want to pass. I loved it!

Interesting facts and tidbits about this historic house and it's colorful past. Built in 1668 on Salem Harbor and surviving many owners and several architectural modifications, this National Historic Landmark is truly magnificent. I simply love the architecture of precolonial and colonial America, and if you do as well, it is truly a must-see.

This is an American classic! A settlement of historical importance of what would become the United States of America, before consolidation of such. The grounds were very nicely kept and several exhibits were there to visit while waiting for the "guided tour". The woman who guided us through the exhibit was extremely well versed in early (pre "USA") America. Probably not enjoyable for the very young, or the very mobility impaired! We were there on an early April weekday, the very busy summer crowds will surely require Patience and things to entertain the youngsters.

Awesome piece of history. Took the guided tour so we can see the house and the grounds. Loved the architecture, and if those walls could talk I'm sure it would be interesting. Went with my wife and 2 kids (13&15) and we talked about it for hours. A must see.

Interesting museum. You can choose to either tour the gardens only or the gardens plus the inside of the houses for different price points.
I visited during October in a weekday and had no issue getting tickets at the ticket booth. That being said, October is a crazy month in Salem and it’s recommended to buy tickets in advance if this is an attraction that really interests you

This was an amazing tour! My 11 and 12 year olds loved it too. There’s so much history and really cool things to see in this museum. Our tour guide, Louise, was great! Knowledgeable and nice-she led us through the house and kept the tour moving at a perfect pace. I never got bored and I never felt rushed. There is some really neat information! Everyone is friendly and nice and their gift shop is just perfect. Walking through Nathaniel Hawthorne’s house was pretty awesome too. Being an English teacher made this experience even better! I could see everything, in person, that I taught. If you need a tour, take this one!!! There are some surprises too!

Would definitely go back. This place is well preserved, and the tour was excellent, although we got a little lost between spot 1 and 2. We did the grounds tour and visited the Hawthorne House. It's beautiful and pristine. The views were amazing, and my children enjoyed the games in the counting house. The gardens are beautiful, and early evening is a great time to visit.

I visited Salem for Halloween. This was my first stop. The tour is approximately 45 minutes long and contains lots of history. The tour relays all aspects of the family and house's history. Our tour guide did a good job discussing some of the more sensitive/controversial portions.
You are lead through the house, which includes the original wings and the expansions. The tour includes low ceilings, stairs, and narrow stairwells. If you have issues with tight spaces there are a couple of rooms you may have to skip. The outside grounds and view of the harbor is beautiful. The tour was a good starting point for my evening in Salem.
The Salem Witch Museum is a popular destination for tourists who want to learn more about the infamous witch trials that took place in the town in 1692. The museum has large and lighted exhibits that illustrate the story of the trials, as well as modern witchcraft practices, after the events.
Well they were definitely sold out of tour but the outside of this house is so unique! From another tour I was on the house has changed over the years, including paint color, location, and the stained glass details. Still, really neat!

My family and I expected maybe a little more for such a famous museum but it was still a good experience and history. The presentation is different and definitely not boring (if you have good imagination that is).
Bought the tickets online only, it took about 3 to 5 minutes right at the entrance line.
Lost in the East Coast — Google review
From the seamless online ticketing process to the well-structured tour, everything was well organized and hassle-free.
The museum's setup is unique and interactive. Upon arrival, everyone gathers in the first room, where you're seated and immersed in a captivating 360-degree show about the history of Salem. The visuals and narration transport you back in time, allowing you to experience the events firsthand. It's a remarkable 10-minute journey that sets the stage for the rest of the tour.
After the show, the group is divided in half, with one group proceeding to the second part of the tour while the other explores the gift shop. I found this division to be a great way to manage the flow of visitors, ensuring everyone has a comfortable experience. The second part of the tour delves deeper into the Salem witch trials, providing additional insights and historical context. It was fascinating to learn about the individuals involved and the impact these events had on the community.
What impressed me most was how efficiently the entire experience was conducted. Despite covering a significant amount of information, the tour was completed in less than an hour, making it perfect for those with limited time. This concise format allows you to absorb the key aspects of Salem's history without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.
Regarding the gift shop, I found it to be decent, but I would recommend checking out the Witch City Mall for a wider selection of souvenirs and mementos. However, the museum's gift shop does offer a good range of items related to the Salem witch trials, ensuring you can take a piece of history home with you.

Buy tickets in advance to ensure you get to experience the show. In the first room, make sure you sit in the MIDDLE. If you can’t sit in the middle, the right side of the room would be the next best option. You have to rotate in your seat to see each diorama(wax figure displays). You go into two different rooms to listen to a recorded explanation of the origin of the witch trials. Half of the group moves to the second room and the other half has to wait 10-15 minutes in the gift shop. The gift shop is priced like most gift shops. Paid $32 for a t-shirt.
Adam Eaton — Google review
It was a cool visit, though I don't think I'd go again. I wouldn't say it's worth $17.50 a person. If you do go, sit on the stools as it's much easier to turn for the 360 show. Not a bad experience but definitely not a traditional museum or a very long visit, maybe 45 minutes total.
Katie K — Google review
A great top to cool off on a hot day and learn a little something. There are two rooms you go into. The first is a big open room that is dark and with seating to watch the presentation. Around the room and elevated are different scenes from the history of the witch trials. The second room talks about the history of witches.
graham forde — Google review
I know that everyone wants to visit the witch museum when visiting Salem, but honestly I don't think it is an experience worth paying for. The manikins look like they were made in 1692 and never updated. The audio sounds like something from a 60's B rated sci Fi flick and the story is something you could just get from a YouTube video for free. Just go sit in the common and watch any video online about a witch story from the time. Not to mention that the presentation is made so if you are sitting on one of the walls you won't be able to see the part that is highlighted during the story right above where you are seated. If you are seated in the center you can view the story that is highlighted on turns on a 360 rotation one at a time if you turn around as the room doesn't.
After the first room they take you in turns (meaning in 2 groups) to a smaller room to hear another audio tour. At least the sound on this one is a bit better. Again lots of outdated decorations and a wall full with things to read (the timeline of the story) but no time to read them as you are brought into the room to hear the audio tour and then told to move along to see other outdated decorations in the room.
Then at the end you are lead into the gift shop to buy stuff. So basically you pay to enter a store.
Having done it once, I would tell friends visiting me, that this is definitely not worth paying for. Maybe if it was free and you wanted to sit for a while, but you can't go in when you want to, so my recommendation is, skip it.

The Salem Witch Museum is a beautiful building. The actual tour is just OK compared to everything else offered in Salem Massachusetts. My teens enjoyed it, but were quickly done and ready to go on to the next thing. When sitting, be prepared to have to do a 360 turn. The round stools look easier than the benches were. When we visited tickets were only able to be purchased online with specific entry times.

The building was very cool and the staff was friendly. The museum wasn't what I expected or hoped for but I'm still glad I went. I wish there would have been more things to look at. The gift shop was nice.

Nice place to visit and learn what happened in during the Salem Witch trials. It's listed as an hour but really is closer to a 35 minute tour with voice overs and mannequins to explain what happened. It can feel rushed for the price a family will play and that was the only reason for the 4 vs 5 star rating.
Jon Testa — Google review
The museum is a tourist spot and is outdated. I feel the museum definitely needs to change something to keep customers returning. I'm surprised they don't offer any additional services such as walking tour or live action play. The gift shop has many awesome gifts. I don't regret going to the museum, but it's still the same thing from 15 years ago. I will not go back next year unless if they offer something different.

The building is neat. The idea is very fun! There isn't much to do!!!! The museum consists of 2 areas to view with audio information. Then, you go into the gift shop. I would love to have a little more to see.

I really enjoyed the presentation and tour at the Salem Witch Museum. I bought my ticket on line and was able to go right in. There was a small group of about 15 people. We were brought into a room with several attractions. There was plenty of room for us to sit and see everything. After, they bring you into another room and go over the history of witches. You are then let out in the gift shop. Perfect opportunity to purchase books, mugs, and shirts.

You definitely get an overview of what happened with some neat scenes in the main theater. Your tour starts in the main theater (you can sit anywhere and it's fine). Second, is another presentation in a smaller room from a guide which you can tour after the talk. Then you can browse the gift shop. They have a good selection in the gift shop. The museum is worth the visit. Very glad we went.

Was not worth the price we paid to get in. For my self husband and daughter it was $50. You were escorted into a large room that is dark, and there’s a story that plays that lights up each section of the story.
The mannequins you can tell they were old. If you aren’t sitting in the middle you won’t be able to see all of the light up sections. We were sitting on the side wall and ended up not being able to see the sections behind us.
My 7 year old daughter didn’t really care for it. After the first tour we were escorted into the gift shop while the tour that went in front of us is in the second part of the tour. So we had to wait into the gift shop until the other group left the one room. My daughter said the best part of the tour was the gift shop that she was able to get a spell book from.
It is not stroller accessible. You have to climb up 7 small steps. We had to carry the baby stroller up those steps, down another set of steps and back up another set. And not handicap accessible that I could see. I guess for not being there ever it’s a cool thing to do, but I won’t be a repeat customer. It’s something you do once and call it good.

Whether you’ve never been to Salem or have some knowledge of witch trial history, this should be your first stop. Susan the Manager was our guide during the off season of late April in our group of only 10 (4 of us). Yes, it is a tad campy and a tad dated, which is why I loved it. Great starter and “base” information for pre-or teens. I love that it is primarily a seated presentation, great for those disabled or those with mobility issues who can’t do a standing/walking tour. 5 stars! Keep in mind this isn’t CGI , nor should it be. Classic New England history presentation at its best!
The Peabody Essex Museum is one of the most famous and respected museums in the world, home to a vast collection of art from all around the world. The museum has rotating exhibits that span traditional and contemporary art, making it a must-see for anyone visiting Salem.
The exhibits were amazing to look at. So many different things to learn and see. Different exhibits on different floors was great. Was stopping at the museum on my way through town. We loved our afternoon at Peabody Essex Museum! We reserved tickets from our local library, and picked them up at the front desk. Very easy process. We ditched the map and just followed the twists and turns to see what was around the next corner. The Chinese House was stunning. A must visit! Definitely made our trip. We also loved the Native American wing and the Garden Atrium. Would definitely come back for a new exhibit!

This museum is awesome! You can easily spend an entire day here. The bats exhibit cleared up a lot of well known myths and shine a better light on these cute little critters. You’ll certainly gain a new appreciation for them.
The Yin Yu Tang exhibit is absolutely gorgeous. So much history and detail within those walls. It’s so amazing they were able to ship the whole house from China and still maintain its structural integrity.
There’s so much to see and enjoy!

Beautiful museum with a wide range of art and periods. The special exhibits are always interesting and unique, but there's also the on going exhibits displaying some classical pieces of art.
There's a story behind every piece of art and PEM makes a good job telling that story with the information plaques adjacent to each piece.
It is also in the heart of Salem so you can make a day trip out of it by visiting the museum and then exploring Salem.

What a beautiful museum. I was particularly fascinated by the Native American exhibits. What a beautiful variety of pieces throughout history to today that gives you a better understanding of the history of America that we weren’t told in schools. Highly recommended- if you like museums, I’d plan for 4-5 hours. They say two, but we didn’t get through half of it in two hours. The arrangement is a little confusing, but I think it’s likely because the museum has just been added onto for years. That said, the staff were helpful!

Great experience. The museum has a great variety in their collection. The kids enjoyed the fashion as well as the animal and nature rooms. Definitely go when you have time to wander as this can easily take 3-4 hours. We had lunch in their food court and the variety and quality were surprisingly good. Its hard sometimes when you have a couple of picky kids but we all found something good today.

Really lovely space- thoughtfully curated collections with something for everyone. The ground-floor collections are framed around themes instead of cultures, which creates an inclusive and nuanced voice one doesn't frequently see. The installation pieces were stunning experiences.
Upper floor collections retain a more culturally-focused framing indicative of a colonial gaze, but there is a clear attempt to modernize.
The staff was attentive and knowledgeable.
Well worth the visit- in a city full of attractions, this stands out as a polished gem.

Loved PEM! It's just the right size for a partial day excursion. The exhibits are eclectic and inclusive. The affordability is nearly unmatched for this area. 16 years and under are free. Adults $20. The total for myself and my 3 young teens...$20. The parking garage is just across the road and my parking fee was $2.50. I'm used to my parking fee in Boston being $24 for 3 hours, so this felt like a steal. I'll be recommending this to area families!

I'm so happy to see that the PEM has diversified their offerings. The cure t exhibits are stunning. My favorite element was music through 3 gallery installations. It's a one time in a lifetime experience. I feel since the museum is in the heart of Salem. There should be more exhibitions on the witch trials. I loved that there were rooms with beautiful art. The museum is beautifully built and the gift shop was great. The food at the location was great, too. I was just disappointed that the exhibition for salem Witch trials was so dull. They only had like 3 rooms connected. They should have added color to match the theme of the trials to know and feel what it was like for the victims.

I'm a Salem resident and I am on a mission to tour all the local attractions, museums and places of relevance.
About this one:
The Peabody Essex museum is the oldest continuously running museum in the United States!
With its permanent collection and temporary exhibits, it offers an eclectic variety of artifacts and art/design pieces. Its temporary exhibits in particular tend to often focus on matters of social equality and on environmental issues. It spreads through three floors and, even though it's not gigantic, it is a pretty big museum.
PEM's jewel is definitely the Yin Yu Tang, a complete Chinese house originally built in the 1600s in southeastern China, moved to the museum and reconstructed as it was when the family last inhabited it in 1982. You can walk the courtyard and corridors, enter its furnished rooms, learn through the recorded audio guides. It is actually pretty amazing.
It requires a timed reservation that I recommend to get online in advance.
My favorite rooms are the Maritime Art one, the American Art exhibit ("Being and belonging in America") and the fashion and design display in the new wing.
PEM is free for Salem residents and a constant source of new exhibits, workshops and events.
If you are visiting Salem, PEM is a wonderful Museum to tour. Please keep in mind that the scope of its exhibitions goes way beyond Salem itself, as it shows artists from all around the world. If you are looking for something local, you should check out "Salem Stories" on the second floor, and a few art pieces and artifacts connected to the Salem Witch trials and to Salem architecture inside the American Art display that I mentioned above. They also sometimes offer temporary exhibits about Salem history, especially during tourist season.
PROs
This is an amazing museum, very modern in the way things are presented to the public - in a way that is engaging and thought-provoking.
CONs
No real cons to mention!
Just, if you visit the Yin Yu Tang house during winter, be aware that it is COLD inside the house!
Also, again a reminder that PEM is strongly connected to the local community but it is not a museum about Salem.

The Peabody Essex Museum is a wonderful place to explore art and culture. Three floors to explore which you can access by stairs or elevator. Some exhibits have solo walking tour you can do at your own pace. They also have a little cafeteria and two gift shops. We brought our grandson and although there were a few things he found exciting I wouldn’t recommend for younger children.

Mine Falls Park is a vast, natural oasis situated along the riverfront. The park features an abundance of forest trails, outdoor activities, and sports fields. Visitors can enjoy fishing along the river and observe various wildlife such as birds and fish. There are porta potties and trash cans available at the entrance for convenience. In addition to the recreational opportunities, there is also a municipal park with a recreation field located within Mine Falls Park.
Mine Falls Park in Nashua is a picturesque natural gem that offers a wide range of outdoor activities. With its extensive network of trails along the Nashua River, it's a great place for hiking, biking, and even cross-country skiing in the winter. The park features beautiful scenery, including waterfalls and wildlife. The picnic areas make it an ideal spot for family outings, and the park's history as a former industrial site adds an interesting layer to its character. Overall, Mine Falls Park provides a peaceful escape from the urban surroundings and is a wonderful place to connect with nature.

This is excellent. Lots of trails for the curious explorer and very gently sloped main paths that feel just secluded enough. This park could do with more trash bins and restrooms, though. Anything to keep bags of pet waste off the trails would also be a massive improvement.

Enjoyed the park, lots of walking trails and looks like a good place to fish for carp and bass. Area seems slightly sketchy which is the only reason for my four stars. However, there are lots of people who go here so it’s probably pretty safe with all the people around.

Beautiful park with well laid out trails so you don't easily get lost. There's a convenient and pretty clean bathroom by the field. I was disappointed when I returned to my rental car to see that I received a parking ticket. I am from Florida and just wanted to enjoy the beauty of New Hampshire and the changing colors and this is the welcome I receive. I am not familiar with the area and not aware of parking restrictions and didn't see any signs with restrictions at this park. I have traveled to many, many other states and enjoyed their nature trails without being penalized with a parking ticket. I looked around and saw that no one else was ticketed. This put a bad taste in my mouth and made me feel unwelcome because I had out of state plates. I will never go to another New Hampshire park again for fear of receiving more violations. The fine is $200 and there are no warning signs.

Mine Falls is my favorite park in Nashua. Every time I go I see something I’ve never noticed before. Especially when different seasons come. It has plenty of parking and the ground is perfect for running.

Great place for hiking. There are few trails, and you can choose what distance you want to walk. Walking next to the river is beautiful. We did an easy walk with a baby and a stroller. It was amazing.

I’m absolutely amazed at the amount of work Nashua city has put into this place! Paved trails make it super accessible for a stroller with a child. Quite a fun spot to get close to nature for a small family!

One of the better parks around. The paved paths are well kept, and the dirt ones get a little narrow and hilly at some points. A lot of squirrels, birds, and cool mushrooms.

Mine falls is s from the main drag and you would think you were in the middle of New Hampshire. National River meets the Merrimack. Canoeing is optional in the canals and Nashua River... Also from mine falls to the downtown damn canoeing is available.
New to the area and balls is a must Doom must-see. Guaranteed to be hooked at first sight.

I loooveee going to mine falls! It’s absolutely my favorite place to go to exercise/and or walk. I love seeing all the animals. The trails are beautiful. There is all different trails that you can go on. If it’s your first time going there they actually have a QR code to scan where you can look at the entire map of the park so you don’t get lost. It’s an amazing place especially if you want to just listen to music and take in all the scenery it’s very relaxing to me and peaceful. I can always go there and just clear my mind of stress etc.

The park was lovely! The trails were well kept and everyone there was respectful. There was so much wildlife! A great place to birdwatch. You can even see fish in the water. I had a great time, I'll definitely be back next time I'm up that way.
The Freedom Trail in Boston is a 2.5-mile path that showcases important landmarks and historic sites, including meetinghouses, churches, burial grounds and museums. It's a comprehensive tour of the city's past that can take up most of your day to complete. Due to the extensive walking required throughout the trail, it's recommended as a standalone activity for visitors who want to fully immerse themselves in Boston's history and heritage.

Faneuil Hall Marketplace is a popular shopping mall in Boston with many stores and restaurants. It was built in 1742 by wealthy businessman Peter Faneuil, and has been a part of American history since its inception. The hall is famous for being the site of important speeches and gatherings during the early days of the American Revolution.
Amazing food vendors. Awesome stores. Great foods. Wasn't too crowded but it was still crowded on a Friday afternoon. The entire market was surprisingly clean. But the bathrooms were not, especially in the men's bathroom. It is a public area so no surprise. Each vendor has their own unique type of foods as well. The clam chowder is excellent from any of the vendors. Didn't have a bad experience with any of the clam chowder. The lobster rolls were great but expect to pay $30+ for lobster rolls. The seafood here is expensive. Expect to spend easily over $50 for food. Overall, a cool place to check out but don't forget to budget in the parking lot fee if you're on a budget.

I went in here as a quick stop since we were just there for a day through a cruise, but I highly enjoyed myself and was wonderfully surprised at how educational it was. I didn't realize Boston was such a big part of our American history in more ways than one. It's truly inspirational; the spirit of revolution lingers in the air. The marketplace has an old structure, but it's pretty modern. I liked that I didn't really see a lot of big franchises or big brand names. Highly recommend this as a stop while in town.

A great shopping center to buy gifts or have a typical Boston meal.
In the surroundings of the Quincy market we have many stores that sell shirts, coats and other types of gifts in the city.
Inside, in addition to handicraft and local gift shops, we have several options for food, from natural juices and the famous lobster sandwich to pizzas and ice cream.
Whenever we go to Boston, the Quincy market is an almost mandatory stop on our itinerary.
Be prepared to spend good hours between shops and restaurants.
Or even just observe the architecture or artistic presentations in the surrounding streets.

This is a really cool place in Boston. They have so many food options. It’s like a food market. And the building is really nice. Only thing they don’t have enough seating options. The day we went it was very crowded we didn’t find any chair. Difficult to find parking near by. You have to park far and walk. But worth going there.

My favorite place to go in Boston. We went late after returning from a trip to Spectacle Island so most of the food options were closed. Ice cream of course still available! Still always fun to walk around a bit and enjoy the scene. Definitely was a very good singer / guitar player performing which was nice. Best to go earlier in the day to enjoy all the many food options inside Quincy Market.

What a great place to visit! It was busy and bustling with lots of booths offering different crafts and wares. Got some high quality Boston memorabilia here to bring back home with me. Better than all the cheap touristy stuff you could find elsewhere. Plus there's lots of history to look at after you shop!
Heather Rose Morris — Google review
Maybe it's because I was tired after a long day of travel or I didn't quite know what to expect. For some reason, I assumed to have all of this shopping within different layers of the hall. Instead, inside the actual historical site is a lot of souvenir shops and then there's two rows; one on either side of the hall with all the shops. I'm going to go back when I have more energy to people and I'm sure I'll have a better time.

Was not exactly what I was expecting. While the history being Faneuil Hall is interesting, most of the marketplace is across the courtyard in the Quincy Maket.
They have a display that encircles the middle of the hall describing what slavery was like in Boston during the Colonial period and stories of former slaves. I found that every educational.
There are a few shops that line the outsides of the hall.
Still worth the visit though.

Faneuil Hall Marketplace is a huge market in Boston. Unfortunately, The Great Hall was closed in Faneuil Hall so I didn't get to check it out. Since 1742, this marketplace was a meeting place for business. Quincy Market is also located there and the first food hall in the U.S.!
There are cobblestone throughout outside and so many people out and about. When we went on a Saturday, there were street performers singing and playing instruments. We were enjoying the sights, sounds, and smells. There's so much history! Across the street, there is the Boston Harbor. The Freedom Trail also goes through here. Overall, a spot you cannot miss when you're in Boston.

I love the activities that are going on from people showcasing their talents to locals, having fun in a sense of activities maybe it is that include visitors. It's a very warm welcoming vibe that it gives off and it's one of my favorite places to visit while I'm in downtown Boston. In fact I can say that area in general is my favorite place to just be alone and think of with company. My favorite next to Wharfs Landing or Boston Inner Harbor.

It's definitely a "festival marketplace."
During the urban renewal of Boston, led by mall developer James Rouse, Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market is a tale of urban revitalization through globalized capitalism. It is certainly more for tourists than locals.
It is a beautiful set of buildings and has a lot of history, but most of the tenants of Quincy Market are the same chains you'll see in other nationalized festival marketplaces like Saint Augustine or Chattanooga. Still, go and view it, it's pretty and lively.

Faneuil Hall Marketplace in Boston proved to be a winter wonderland during my recent visit, despite the icy and snowy conditions that enveloped the city. The historic charm of the marketplace, coupled with the festive atmosphere, created a magical experience.
Navigating through the cobblestone streets and historic buildings adorned with twinkling lights, I discovered a bustling hub of activity. The market's diverse array of shops and eateries offered a warm respite from the chilly weather outside. From sipping hot cocoa to indulging in local treats, the marketplace became a delightful refuge from the winter elements.
The Quincy Market building, with its iconic architecture, provided shelter from the snowfall while offering an eclectic mix of shops and food stalls. Even in the midst of wintry conditions, street performers and lively crowds added an energetic vibe to the scene.
Faneuil Hall Marketplace's ability to transform into a festive haven, even in icy weather, showcases its timeless appeal. It's not just a shopping destination; it's an immersive experience that weaves together history, culture, and the resilience of Bostonians in the face of winter's embrace.
The public garden is a park located in the city of Boston that features a lagoon, fountains, and other sights. It is popular with children who have read Robert McCloskey's much-loved book, Make Way for Ducklings, as the Public Garden where it took place and the statues honoring Mrs. Mallard and her brood are located.
The most gorgeous park in Boston! I always explore different spots and I love how they keep it so well manicured and updated each season! Absolute must any time of year if you’re a tourist visiting the city or a local looking for a chill spot to read or just... be.

The Boston Public Garden is a large park surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers. The sceneries are visual treat by themselves. This gorgeous park has something to offer for everyone. You can just sit on benches and enjoy its tranquility, listen to live music being played by up and coming artists, set up a place for mediation or stroll around and admire the stunning flowers and the exceptional landscaping. I was fortunate I got to see the colorful foliage. There are statues of historic US figures, a large pond called the lagoon, and a historic bridge that stretches over the lagoon with a scenic views of the water and the island in its center. An iconic feature in the park is the bronze Mama duck with her eight ducklings heading to the lagoon. Truly, it is one of the most captivating park I have ever seen thus far.

Boston Public Garden
The landscaped, 24-acre Boston Public Garden, established in 1837, was the first public botanical garden in the U.S. The Public Garden contains lovely manicured paths, the famous “Make Way for Ducklings” statues, a 4-acre pond with swans and a variety of other birds, and several memorable statues throughout. You can enjoy a leisurely ride aboard the Swan Boats, pedal-powered gondolas which have been in operation during the summer months since 1877.

Really has been cleaned up the past couple years. There used to be a bunch of druggies hanging out inside acting a fool, but now it’s returned to that old beauty. Absolutely my favorite place in downtown Boston to enjoy a nice day. Fabulous environment for the kids to enjoy the scenery as well. It’s always nice to see other people also having a great time whether it’s sitting out for a picnic, playing frisbee, taking pictures or just sitting and people watching. Anytime I am in downtown Boston, this place is a must. I very highly recommend you take event a moment to pass through it, you will not be disappointed.
Fenway Park is home to the Boston Red Sox and occasionally features big-name concerts. It's an historic, small-capacity ballpark with a kid-friendly Wallys Clubhouse that can be visited during between innings of a Red Sox game.
Walked up and booked the guided tour ($21) that started ten minutes later. Despite a slow start (it’s amazing how many adults need the bathroom), it was an enjoyable tour and a good chance to get inside the ballpark in the off season. It’s definitely made me want to see a game here, despite not being a fan.

My first visit here to this Beautiful Old Park. I was not disappointed, George an usher and our tour guide earlier shared some the the historical information of this stadium. We stopped by on Thanksgiving just to see the park whilst on our short stay. Even though we knew there was no games on, or bars open it was still a great trip to be able to walk around and see all of the great moments outside of the park as well as being able to take some great pictures. So much history and one of the few stadiums left with all its history there. It was one of my best choices I made going to it. It's about an hour 35 to 40 bucks. Great ballpark to visit with many services. Private tours are very conducive to children infusing interaction with historical education. Show up early because they are prompt, leaving the time they say. Rich in History and relatively rather clean for a ball park. Their service coordinators to set up the tours are extremely helpful and go above and beyond. Be prepared to walk a mile or so from the parking garage or take a cycle taxi for a speedier arrival.

Who doesn’t like Fenway Park. It’s one of the best venues for a concert, smaller than Gillette and much more intimate. Family friendly Fenway! Easy to access by the Kenmore T stop on the green line. Would not recommend parking near the stadium on game day. Fenway franks are a must try. Picked this tour with our Go City pass. We love seeing different ball parks and the history here is something you could spend multiple days taking about. Our tour guide was thorough and did a great job for a large and diverse crowd. My only suggestion is they cap tour groups to 25 people as any more ends up costing time.
Would love if they took you to the dugout and other inside areas like many other ballparks. It would be so awesome to see the whole facility!

The atmosphere and vibe here is lively and so much fun! I can see why it’s an iconic place to come to when visiting Boston. I’ve been here twice now and can definitely say it was worth paying the tickets for.
Food: They had stadium food such as hot dogs, fries, cotton candy, etc available. They also have a short selection of beer available to purchase.
Atmosphere: I’ve been lucky to sit in good seating both times I’ve been here and it was an awesome experience. The fans are fun to be around and it can get rowdy in here as well. It’s a very nostalgic place and I can see why people enjoy coming here. One thing to note is that the stadium and field itself are rather quite small. I was surprised to how small it feels in the stadium.
Price: The food and beer is pricey but it is normal for stadium food.
Parking: Parking is limited and I would suggest taking the T to get here.

Fenway Park Tour - it was really fun to tour the park and learn the history. I was a little disappointed we did not get to go in the locker room or inside the green monster. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and kind of funny!
Tips: go in the spring or summer. We went in February and it was a little too cold and the field was covered by a tarp and there was no grass. The tour meets in the pro shop across the street. We were the first ones there so we walked around the store a while. By the time the tour started there were so many people (about 50) that we had to split into 2 groups and we ended up at the end of the line so we were in the second group. So we had to stand outside for 10 or 15 minutes so the first group could get started. They will check your bags - backpacks are not allowed.

After going through different sitting areas including the oldest wooden seats in a MLB ballpark you get to go through the press box. They end the tour with a trip through a museum with lots of game used memorabilia. Outside of the ballpark there are statues and World Series signs to see. Finish the tour with the Fenway Park store filled with souvenirs.

Outstanding ball park. I've been to many new and some of the old parks that are torn down and Fenway is absolutely historic. It's like no other park. I can't wait to see Wrigley.

The park tour was a great experience, especially for being only $25 each! Despite it being quite cold and windy in February, the tour guide was friendly, welcoming, and just privded a great time overall. Unfortunately, the tour during the winter results in seeing a field under construction as they re-sod the field before every season, but that is to be expected. The tour gives you a nice overview of the history of the stadium and the Red Sox as a team while keeping a bit of humor to the story. If you're in town, this is a great use of time and money. The only weird thing we noticed is that they take a picture of your group for you, print it out, and then try to sell it to you, and if you choose not to take it, they just throw it out, which seems quite wasteful. Maybe we misunderstood, but both my wife and I were under the impression that the photos were available for purchase, not for free. Regardless, we had a great time and I highly recommend the tour!

Loved the tour.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and included the whole group from the start asking were people were from and what team they supported.
You start from underneath where they would sell food then you enter the stadium and you go all the way up the top and also into the press area. It was a great tour even if I am not a baseball fan but I really appreciated the history behind the place. It's a must if visiting g Biston. Account fir couple of hours minimum.
The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston is a world-renowned art museum with an extensive collection from ancient Egyptian to contemporary American. Kids will enjoy the clever touches, such as special family labels and games to help them explore the collection.
Huge art museum with an array of styles. Came here during the first weekend of the month, as they participate in Bank of America’s Museums on Us, so we got free entry as a result of being cardholders. There is public transportation line with the museum as a stop, but it also was a nice walk to get here from our hotel. Masks were recommended but not required. There is a cafe inside if you need food.
You can easily spend an entire day here looking through all the exhibits. We spent an afternoon until the museum closed at 5, and I wish we were able to spend more time. No flash photography. There were water bottle refilling stations by restrooms. Coat check is available. You’re in for a good time here.

I love this museum. Every time I go, it feels like a new experience. The only issue is that it can be a little hard to navigate. I definitely suggest bringing the map along. The cafe near the gift store makes excellent coffee too.

Exploring the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) in Boston was a truly enriching experience that exceeded my expectations. The museum's extensive collection spans centuries and continents, offering a diverse array of artistic treasures. What drew me in, in particular, was the captivating world of the Asian exhibits.
Wandering through the halls dedicated to Asian art felt like embarking on a cultural journey. The carefully curated pieces showcased the beauty, history, and intricate craftsmanship of Asian cultures. From stunning traditional paintings to awe-inspiring sculptures, the collection truly captured the essence of the rich artistic traditions of Asia.
The MFA's commitment to providing a comprehensive narrative shone through in the way each exhibit was thoughtfully arranged. The detailed descriptions and historical context provided a deeper understanding of the pieces, turning each visit into a fascinating exploration.
The museum's ambiance enhanced the overall experience, with well-lit and spacious galleries that allowed for contemplation and appreciation. The staff's passion and knowledge were evident, contributing to a welcoming and educational atmosphere.
Visiting the MFA is not just a trip to a museum; it's a cultural immersion that transports you across time and space. Whether you're an art enthusiast or someone seeking to broaden your cultural horizons, the MFA in Boston, especially its Asian exhibits, is a must-visit destination that promises a truly memorable and enriching experience.

The MFA was surprisingly amazing! I knew it was a good art museum, yet I had no idea we had such an incredible bounty of art history and culture in Boston! The cafe and amenities were great and high-quality, and the displays were simply awe-inspiring. The Egyptian section is very thoughtful, and the European paintings almost made me cry with the effort and skill. The gift shop is also quite nice!! Haha!

They sell tickets at the front door but allocate time to lineup. If you are visiting on weekends, do it before noon. After noon line gets larger and larger.
You’ll need a full day if you’d like to see everything. However, it can be exhausting. There are some areas where you can sit if you need to rest.
Great experience, lots of exhibitions from Egypt, Americas, Asian… spectacular!
You also need to lineup to enter the cafeteria. Food is bit overpriced, but ambiance and service worth the extra bucks.
Parking in the back is plenty, so, no worries there.
Parking Max rate is $30.

The MFA is a must go. I’m assuming if you are looking at reviews you probably know this and you are really looking for information about parking and logistics. I got you.
PARKING: there are MFA garages and parking lots that are on Museum Rd. Additionally there is street parking but it’s limited and you must pay unless it’s Sunday. All museum parking accommodations are expensive but offer quick accessibility to the museum. You can also park on Forsyth Way. I recommend going early in the morning if you want an easy street parking spot. Again, Sunday is free. Lastly the museum website has information about parking. All in all it’s not bad so don’t let that deter your visit.
2. TICKETS: I would recommend getting advanced tickets if you are seeing a special exhibit, additionally an advanced ticket is just an easier experience overall. Again, if you are seeing something special that costs more then plan in advance to get a ticket with a specific time.
3. IF YOU HAVE KIDS: the museum is kid friendly and I was surprised that they did not ask us to check backpacks or our stroller. There were many families with their young kids and the strollers did not seem to be a problem. Made our lives easier so I am assuming that the museum is pretty accessible for wheelchairs too.
4. Check out my photos to get a sense of the space. Loved our trip here and I will be back! Highly recommend.

Went with my college-aged artist daughter and thoroughly enjoyed the time spent. It's great Tha MFA has a program for students get in free by presenting their student ID and email. We spent most of our short time with the Impressionists but they also had an impressive musical instrument exhibit. You could spend days here though our short visit was also worth the effort.

Amazing collection of modern art and history. You definitely need multiple visit to go around and appreciate all of it.
Art from ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, Africa and the Americas… art from the Flemish and Dutch, Islamic art, contemporary art, and more. So much to see and be in awe of.

An amazing experience. The Egyptian hall has the most Egyptian artifacts outside of Cairo. The Greek and Roman halls were also extensive. The coins hall was also excellent. Definitely recommend coming early to have time to examine the museum with time.

If it had not one work of art within its walls, this museum is a beautiful work of art in and of itself. The experience was similar to that of being at the Smithsonian without the crowds and the field trips. I could spend a week here. There is a great restaurant in house and 2 gift shops. Would recommend the app for a self guided tour and if you're visiting Boston, buy a city pass that includes the admission to this and other worthy attractions. There is a separate cost for special/traveling exhibitions.

Large collection of fine art, very well curated, displayed, and maintained. You can buy tickets at the door, but you can also buy it online if you want to skip the queues. Expect the whole or half day if you want to savor the whole section.

Beautiful museum with different sections dedicated to American, European, Asian, and Egyptian arts among others with nice lay out. In the central yard there is a restaurant with excellent food and service.
I visited on Sunday. There was short waiting time online to get a ticket. Adult regular ticket cost $27.

There was so much too look at, they have a great collection of all kinds of different art from all over the world dating back thousands of years as well as more modern collections too. I wish I had more time to explore. I really enjoyed the ancient Egypt collections. Will definitely be back.

This is an absolutely fantastic museum to visit! It really is huge (even a day's not really enough) and is filled with little rooms, corridors, and nooks of artwork. Broadly split into American, European, and Ancient Art (and most other things too- I'd recommend the musical instrument room!), there are maps everywhere as well showing roughly where you are as well as an app too to give you a bit more depth on the artwork. I think everyone has their favourite section- I really like the recreated rooms from lost mansions in the New England area- and they have good examples from major artists such as Monet, Degas, and Copley.
They do great exhibitions- the current one is on Sargent and costume and was fantastic! So interesting to see the clothing worn in such famous portraits! There are also a lot of his paintings from private collections too that you may not have seen so worth going to if you're a fan!
Not surprisingly, it does get busy but I think it absorbs the numbers well and you can always find a quiet spot away from the crowds. The downstairs Garden Cafeteria is a good spot to get lunch and there's also the atrium restaurant too (this one does get busy, usually a queue!). There's multiple shops dotted around too with an exhibit one, a small one by the entrance and then a larger Main Shop. If you're into books- the main shop is great for them and they're very diverse, not just art!

As I approached the museum, the grand neoclassical façade promised a world of treasures inside, and it did not disappoint. The museum is well-organized, with clear signage directing visitors to various exhibits—making the exploration both effortless and engaging.
Inside the museum, I was struck by the thoughtful presentation of art from across eras and continents. Notable was a bronze statue, possibly from the 15th-century, its verdigris patina lending an air of timelessness. The sculpture seemed to gaze at passersby, offering a silent narrative of history’s depth.
Equally impressive was a dramatic painting depicting what appeared to be a historic scene of chaos and grandeur, its dark, swirling sky looming over classical architecture. The painter’s mastery of light and shadow brought the scene to life, engulfing me in the depicted moment of turmoil and majesty.

The MFA is a great museum that has a varied selection of pieces and works. If you like Egyptian art, they have mummies. You like Roman statues, your in luck, they have some too. You like the impressionists? They have masterpieces from Degas, Monet, Van Gogh and Picasso? Absolutely a must! It's a nice size that can be visited in a day. Staff was helpful too. We visit every time we go to Boston.
This historic bridge in a national park marks the spot of the first Revolutionary War battle.
A great walking path and tons of history to be seen. Amazing and I wish I could visit here more often. The scenery is great and the little places and historical sites you find along the way are very interesting. They offer things like historical battle recreations and working musket demonstrations too. The little pieces of trivia along the trail are also very interesting.

Lots of great history of our country. Probably one of the best "videos" at any National Park. Very nicely done, tells the local story of the Old North Bridge, Paul Revere's ride, and the battle that started it all. A great side trip is the cabin near the bridge, where you can learn about Ellen Garrison. She doesn't give up her seat LONG before Rosa Parks.

Manageable paths are compromised of sand and small stones. I imagine if it rains hard enough the paths can be quite muddy and washed away. However, we walked this trial in a drizzly Dec 2021 afternoon.

This was such a lovely, beautiful, and historic place. There were a number of historic buildings and sights along the very long trail. The trail was open to the public, and was free to enter, and the trails were very well kept. There were a few descriptions and signs for a few of the buildings, explaining their history, too, which was great to see

She found this place and we wanted to get out so figured we’d check it out. It was actually really cool! It was like you got to experience what they experienced way back when, within reason. Walking down the same roads, in the heat, but them not knowing if they would make it or be ambushed. The plaques were very descriptive and helpful. Lots of history in a pretty small area. Definitely glad we went. PET OWNERS PICK UP YOUR POO BAGS! We saw like 3 or 4 around the park which is absolutely unacceptable. We took our dogs but would be a shame if they every ban dogs due to lazy people. There was also a restroom facility and water about halfway of the area we toured so that was helpful. Everything was very well maintained and such. You can go in the one house if it’s open that day and talk to a staff person about stuff.

Very good place for educating you for American Revolution. This park is huge. There are two visitors center on east and west side each. The east side visitors center has a very far away parking lot so you will need to walk some distance after you park your car. The west side visitors center is convenient with easy parking lot access.

I was in this area at the end of winter. One of the main trails we walked on was such a beautiful place, including passing on a straight route full of trees, walk around a big magnificent pond full of ducks. It’s possible to fish there.
The region was so big to finish walking around in a day. Therefore, I can say it’s a good place to visit multiple times.

This park has many historical sites and is mostly built around events that happened between Lexington and Concord. The road also doubles as a very nice walking or running path. This park doesn't require entrance fees like many other parks. There is a visitor's center that has lots of good information and some guided tours along with many history markers and houses. However, the week we were there the visitor center was closing at noon instead of 5:00 like is posted online. I don't know how to tell people to check closing time because they just put up a temporary physical sign at the entry. It might be possible to call them.
We had a wonderful tour/walk with a friendly park ranger who told us about a nearby skirmish site, what we know and what we wish we knew.

If you are a Revolutionary War buff, you will love this place for the historical sites. The North Bridge was my favorite spot. We listened to a costumed ranger talk about the minute men. They do this twice a day at Hartwell tavern. They also did a musket firing demo. You could visit this park and just hit the highlights without spending a lot of time, or slow down and look at every site.

Such an amazing experience to stand where the revolutionary war started. Parking is close by to the top of the hill closest to the museum and gift shop. As you step out you are over looking the field that shows the north bridge in the background. If you follow the path down the hill and around the field it will bring you to the bridge. Such a great place, rich with history beneath your feet.

This is a great area surrounded by nature and full of history. The Battle Trail is a nice walk or bike. I rode my bike and there was some good little downhill in the northwest direction. I did round trip and it was around 7 miles.
The old buildings remind you of what was and how we got here. The battlefields hold so much memory. Imagine a redcoat or blue coat hiding behind a tree with musket in hand, as you walk through. Stop by all the signs and get the facts.
Enjoy your visit and bikers remember that walkers are on trail.
Historic replica 1775 bridge & site where the first shots of the American Revolution were fired.
Very nice bridge to walk to, a short walk from multiple nearby parking lots. Easy to get to thanks to well maintained large trail walkways. Careful in winter and check the NPS website or look for signs stating if the trails are open.

The Old North Bridge in Concord is an absolute gem that beautifully encapsulates both the rich history and the serene beauty of the area. Stepping onto this iconic bridge feels like stepping back in time, into a moment that forever changed the course of history.
The bridge itself is a charming architectural wonder, standing as a testament to the past. As I walked across it, I couldn't help but imagine the courageous Minutemen who once stood before the imposing redcoats, ready to defend their homeland. The courage and determination of those who fought here on April 19th, 1775, reverberate through the very air, reminding us of the sacrifices made for the sake of freedom and independence.
The peaceful river flowing beneath the bridge seems to hold the echoes of that historic day, flowing gently as a symbol of the tranquility that came after the storm of battle. The juxtaposition of the serene waters and the memory of past strife is a poignant reminder of the enduring spirit of the American people.
Surrounded by magnificent gardens, the Old North Bridge area is a blend of natural beauty and historical significance. The gardens themselves are a sight to behold, with vibrant colors and fragrant blooms that invite contemplation and reflection. To stroll through these gardens while contemplating the events that unfolded here is a truly immersive experience.
What strikes me most is the sense of beauty and freedom that pervades the area. Standing in this place, knowing the bravery and sacrifice that unfolded here, is a humbling experience. It's a reminder of the power of unity and the determination to stand up for what's right, even in the face of adversity.
The Old North Bridge in Concord isn't just a landmark; it's a living testament to the ideals that have shaped our nation. The sense of history, the tranquility of the river, and the stunning gardens all come together to create an unforgettable atmosphere that leaves a profound impact on anyone who visits. If you're seeking a place that combines history, beauty, and a deep sense of patriotism, the Old North Bridge is an absolute must-visit.
With gratitude for the past and hope for the future,

I'm joking of course, but the location is very impressive and historically significant to the American Revolution. This battle was the first American victory in the American Revolution. There are plenty of plaques and marks in the location that only add to the historical aura of this bridge.

AMAZING! Our favorite spot to relax and to buy wine. We also go every year for apple picking, best place to do it. Try the Estate Riesling and the Maidens Blush. Have tried the sweeter wines so far and my favorite is the After Dinner Peach. Really enjoyed the port wine Azule and the Marion desert wine.

What a busy little place! Kid and dog friendly. There is apple picking when in season. Over 10 different kinds of apples to choose from. The grounds have so many picnic tables, umbrella tables and a huge coveted patio upstairs and down to sit under. The store has a great selection of wines, beet, and distilled liquors all made on the premises. We went on a Saturday and it was very busy, stand in lines busy, but you moved fairly fast. You can purchase a Nashoba winery etched glass for $4.00 along with your bottle of wine you can drink, outside. They check ids then put a paper bracelet on your wrist. There are cheeses and crackers for sales. Multiple food options outside to choose from. A great place to sit back and talk and enjoy a nice bottle of wine and food with.

Flights for tasting at outside table are $12 for maybe an ounce per wine. Not even equating to half glass of wine for the whole flight. Way overpriced for what we got. Food was expensive for the portion we got. Not my favorite place. Maybe the tasting tour is different but we ordered from outside because we had children with us.
We received a plastic cup and 5 tubes of wine that barely filled the bottom of the cup. I would expect a flight to at least provide quarter cup sampling to truly taste flavors. The cost for bottle was more valuable- I do have to say that I enjoyed the bottle of blush that I got but was disappointed in the flight sampling

Usually, I don't write a review, but I got very upset with this winery today.
I made a reservation a month in advance for my birthday.
I had 12 people invited, and unfortunately, I'm not allowed to bring a birthday cake.
I HAVE to buy their birthday cake if I want to celebrate it.
They rather lose money and make 12 new customers than have me bring my cake.
Thank you very much for avoiding me to go to your winery.
I'm glad I already found another place to go (last minute).

Website says in big bold letters that reservations are not required for sitting outside and ordering food/drinks. All of the tables had reserved signs when we got there. Luckily there was one table open. Food took 45 minutes to receive. Was supposed to get a text when the food was ready and when it wasn’t I asked a worker about it and she said she would check on it but never did. I had to walk up to the food counter multiple times before finally I just stood there and then suddenly my food was ready. All we ordered were three street tacos and the pretzels. Unfortunately the food was not worth the wait. We did not enjoy the wine either. We will not be back.

Nashoba Valley Vineyard in Bolton, MA offers a quintessential New England experience that is perfect for a day out with friends and family. Their summer concert series is a must-attend, offering an inviting atmosphere with its well-spaced picnic tables. The serene pond and tastefully designed tasting rooms add to the overall ambiance, making the experience even more delightful.
One of the highlights is the patio that overlooks the sprawling vineyard— a perfect backdrop for sipping a glass of wine. The venue is both kid and dog-friendly, which means the whole family can revel in an afternoon outing here.
Ordering is a breeze thanks to their user-friendly online app, and the efficient runners will bring your wine right to your table. On occasion, you'll also find food trucks, allowing for some great food and wine pairing opportunities.
While the wine may not rival what you'll find in Napa Valley, it's pretty solid for a New England vineyard. Giving it four stars, I'd say that what it may lack in wine sophistication, it more than makes up for in ambiance and friendliness. It's definitely a place worth visiting multiple times throughout the summer.

Gorgeous venue with tons of picnic tables with umbrellas and shaded patio space. Monday afternoon was quiet but I imagine it gets quite busy with the multiple outdoor bars and food service stations. The beer menu was good and the pretzels were fine! (Spinach artichoke dip was meh).) Great place for kids and the whole family. The stay package includes the entry to the water parks from the opening hours on the check-in day to closing hours on checkout day which. So practically you get to enjoy two full days. They have amazing summer camp-in activities running throughout the day till night 10pm. My kid enjoyed the interactive story time, games, crafts and the best one was the dance party. The water park quite fun for both kids and grownups as well. So many different things to keep you busy. Our favorite was the wave pool and river canyon. Great options for food as well.

I can’t even lie after reading the bad reviews I was scared to come here, but I have no regrets at all bringing my daughter here for her second birthday. She enjoyed herself so much. We got the wolf den suite and it was very clean and spacious for my family. The water park was perfect, my daughter enjoyed all the kiddie slides, water and wave pool! We also enjoyed the yoga time, story time, met the bear, arts and crafts, and dance time which was all free! All the staff was friendly and helpful. We also got the paw pass for my daughter which was absolutely perfect, she gets a free build a bear, the small ropes course is free for children under 48 inches, she was able to get free ice cream, free candy, 5$ game card and free goggles!
The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because the food was VERY expensive, no refills unless you buy the reusable cup. Also, I wanted an extra night which was requested online when I made the reservation and it was suppose to be $250, but when I came to check in they wanted $500 which was not nice at all. They should’ve accommodated me. But now I know to book exactly what I want when I catch the sales.

Great place for the kids to burn energy. Water parks are a blast and they even have some great adult slides. Water areas look clean. Be careful on holidays though. Jam packed!!! Took us an hour just to register but again, it was a holiday. If the pool area is shoulder to shoulder, they have private tables you could rent for a hundred bucks a day. We did that and it was worth it. The game rooms and indoor play park are fun and loud areas for kids to play. Food and beer courts are in the perfect location for adults to rest their feet and minds. It's definitely a costly night but you do get a lot in return for your kids and even for yourself. The drive up is quiet and scenic. I always love New England.

recently had the pleasure of staying at Wolf's Lodge in New England with my family, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Here's why I highly recommend it:
1. Military Discount: The fact that they offer a military discount is not only commendable but greatly appreciated. It shows their support for our service members.
2. Family-Friendly Mini Suites: We stayed in one of their mini suites, and it was perfect for our family. The separate rooms allowed for privacy, and the accommodations were comfortable and well-maintained.
3.Breakfast Buffet: The breakfast buffet was a great value. It fueled us up for a day of adventures in the park.
4. Arts and Kids Crafts: The arts and kids crafts activities kept our 4½-year-old granddaughter entertained and engaged. It's wonderful to see a place that caters to all age groups.
5. Thrilling Activities: Wolf's Lodge offers a wide range of activities, from a climbing wall to a rope park and mini golf. There's something for everyone to enjoy.
6. Free Parking: The convenience of free parking is a huge plus. It's one less thing to worry about during your stay.
7. Friendly and Helpful Staff: The staff members were not only friendly but also incredibly helpful. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was enjoyable.
8. Short and Fast Lines: We appreciated that the lines for rides were short and fast-moving, making the most of our time in the park.
9. Two-Day Park Admission: Another perk is the two-day park admission included with an overnight stay. It allowed us to fully explore the park and enjoy all it has to offer.
10. Convenient Location: Wolf's Lodge is situated near numerous restaurants, making it easy to find a variety of dining options.
In conclusion, our stay at Wolf's Lodge in New England was worth every penny. It's the perfect destination for families looking for a fun, comfortable, and memorable getaway. We can't wait to return for another adventure-filled visit

We took a day trip to the water park with 18mo and 6yo. The kids had loads of fun and enjoyed every minute of the ~6 hours stay. The attractions were spacious enough to avoid any major queues and overall felt very safe. The only 'but' are the amenities. The park is clearly designed for hotel guests and not for day visitors - cold showers, little space in changing rooms, not really baby friendly, etc. Even though bit annoying, it is understandable and we will plan the next visit better.

Myself and wife bought 3 rooms for my son’s bday and his closest friends and their parents to stay. We had an overall good time! The downfall is the pricing of food/drinks… $5 for a candy bar(imagine that) A candy bar cost more than a gallon of fuel! Second issue is we’re sitting at the pool (with the basketball hoops) and a worker comes up and asks us to move from the table as it’s “premium seating” you have to pay extra to sit at a table with chairs!! Are you joking me!?!? We paid for 3 rooms $900 and spent close to $1500 on different items and we have to pay extra to sit at a table with chairs!!!?? Mind you we sat at the same table the night before and nobody once said anything to us… this place makes plenty of money yet you have to pay for a table…
Another thing is the way some of the lifeguards speak to the kids. My son and his friends told me that a few of them were nasty toward them…
I will say the swim area is really fun and spacious and the same with the arcade.

We took our 4 kids for one night and it was total fun.
Called the park and got a good deal 2 weeks to the d-day.(If do Online reservations, you miss out on park deals)
Checked in @3:10pm to our room en hit the park.
Every one's experience is different but for our case it was worth every $$$ spent on our kids.
Great place, good staff and time well spent.
It's important to read reviews but most importantly go by yourself and get your own judgment. I almost gave up after reading other reviews.

I took 4 kids here last weekend ages 16,15,15&4 and we had a great experience! The older crew enjoyed the water slides and adventure park
My little one loved the nightly dance party , kiddie pool areas & bowling! I thought the hotel staff were great and the room was too ! The breakfast buffet has a plenty of choices with good food
My only complaint is how freezing it is between the two pool areas ! Bring a bathrobe !!! You’ll want it when walking in that area !

This is an excellent hotel for families!! The food was amazing for a buffet (variety of choices for both the kiddos and the parents)
The rooms were a bit older but very well kept. I always wipe down the room and washrooms and Could easily see that they do their jobs well.
The water park was wonderful, at a perfect temperature; we can easily forget the cold outside. The pools have lifeguards that do endless patrols and are diligent, keeping their eyes continuously scanning their assigned areas are impressive! Bravo to the whole staff!! They are attentive and take care of any concerns.
I could go on and on, but you have to see it for yourself.
Oh, I forgot the semi virtual adventures … seeing young ones running up and down the corridors waving their wands fighting a dragon can only put a smile on your face (for a moment wanting to be a kid yourself) magical , hidden treasures are activated when their wands are waved throughout the whole hotel.
Nice to see young people helping the younger ones figure out how to play the game :)
Was there in September 2022 and will be back May 2023. 6 adults and 2 kids shows us the this hotel is not only for kids but the adults as well. Nice that there are no dirty looks when children cry or make a fuss.. have to experience for yourself.

Abby J is the best ever, she was so helpful and nice. I love the location the size of the place. Not too big or small. They split the water park into 2 sides it's so easy to keep an eye on your child while your relaxing. The room was clean and nice size for my group of 6. Definitely will be revisiting!

We did overall enjoy ourselves. However the price we paid for the room was not worth it. Renovation are definitely needed. The elevators are small and rugs need to be replaced. The service at the breakfast buffet by our waitress was superb. The food served at the water park is overpriced and I would recommend the food service people need some training. I want thank and commend the lifeguards for keeping our children safe. It made me feel very safe to see they were very attentive and I would like to return.

Had a amazing time with my two kids and wife . We will definitely be back . I felt like I was home , very comfortable. We stayed for 4 days . The Massachusetts location. The ice cream guy was awesome I wish I could remember his name he was very cool a true gentleman. Also the build a bear gentleman was great . They have everything you need right there and if you want to eat or shop away from the resort there are a lot of places pretty close . We really had a great time I was very happy .

I Love great Wolf. It is a great place with excellent service across the entire hotel.
My only complain was the room temperature as it was a bit warm and I personally like to sleep in a cold room.
Also, there were kids knocking on my door and being very loud around midnight. Nothing to do with the hotel, however next time I will ask to not be close to an elevator.
Other than that, my son had a blast. We love the water park and all the activities at the Main Lobby. Highly recommended for people with kids!

We just visited for our first time. We all had a great time. Shout out to the staff, everyone we encountered was kind and helpful. We stayed in the deluxe queen suit. It was clean, roomy enough to fit a family of 5, wagon, and stroller. We didn’t spend much time in the room so it worked for us. So many fun things to at the lodge, we can’t wait to return!

Great place to take the kids over night. Extremely expensive once inside.
Over night is more than enough. We ordered pizza from the inside and it was not bad.
The bar is stupid expensive. 14.00 for a cup of pick your own candy? A little much but we did have a good time the place was clean and theblife guards are outstanding and we felt the kids were safe.
Don't hesitate to go.

Kids had a blast at this indoor water park , perfect for something to do in the middle of winter. Room was nice, had everything we needed. Soap, plenty towels, microwave, mini fridge, etc. Water park was great overall, maybe the water or room temp was a tad cold, since kids were getting cold frequently and kept drying off. It was nice to exchange wet towels for dry each time. It’s loud in there for sure and smells of chlorine.
Best part was that the staff was not on our backs about masks at all. It was great to feel like we’re back living normal free life like we should.

Pros:
Room was clean.
Beds were pretty comfortable.
Water slides were lots of fun for the kids.
Cons:
Food was astronomically priced. Our meal for 4 cost $130 before the tip! (3 out of 4 people ordered cheeseburgers, which were $19 each!! Would not have eaten there if we had known, but no prices were listed. I bought the $200 food add-on and the bulk of it was gone after 1 meal!
There were set times that you could eat, but we weren't made aware of that previously so we were constantly having to wait around until the meal started (if you leave the area the seats are all taken when you get back).
It took a while to check in.
Anytime we wanted to do anything it felt like everything took forever. Waiting in lines, waiting to be able to eat, waiting extended times for an elevator, just lots of waiting. Maybe it wouldn't have bothered me nearly as much if we had stayed longer, but when you're only staying for 1 day and you spend half that day waiting for every little thing it seems like a waste of money overall. I wouldn't go for just 1 day again.

This is a indoor water park which attracts lots of visitors. Kid friendly. Additionally, it offers Gaming arcade, magic quest, kids story time, ice cream, pizza and so many other things including a dinner buffet at wood fired grill restaurant. The rooms were very 👍 good, clean and spacious with everything in it. Loved it.
Dunkin’ Donuts inside and the buffet breakfast options - you are all set to start your fun
Value for money $191.00 for one day stay at standard queen deluxe room as part of summer deal for two adults and 2 kids allows water park access for day you arrive and the day you check out. Good deal in the end that you shouldn’t miss. Kids had blast as it was the 🎂 birthday party for kids as well.

The kids had so much fun! There was something for everyone to do.. parents can play with their kids and enjoy their time too. It was a great time for all.
The service here was excellent 👌 the staff was very friendly and helpful, which is great for a super stimulating place like this because sometimes the parents need that extra helpful service.

My family and I had a great stay! We were very skeptical after reading some reviews but we were so glad we chose to stay at Great Wolf Lodge.. Our son is 7 and our daughter is 11 months- They both had a blast. Every single staff member we came in contact with was amazing! They all had smiles on their faces and were genuinely happy to help. It was busy for a Monday but it wasn’t unbearable.. Our room was clean, food was good, lines weren’t long. It exceeded our expectations-we will be back!

Everyone outside the actual water park was great! Most life guards we ran into were pretty miserable. I know it was a long weekend, but don't take it out on the kids. The lodge and the lodge bar were fantastic. Food solid, service great considering the madness.
Dunks needs a better, more communicative expo person. The man on Saturday am was NOT helpful at all.
Towel ppl and service staff at buckets were great as well.
One last thing. We were allowed an early check-in, but the room was not checked. As we were walking out to go to the park, a supervisor came to check the room. Few items from the lst guests were in the room on the rug.

We came to the Great Wolf Lodge for the first time with anticipated excitement but to our dismay, we were disappointed. Firstly, finding convenient parking wasn't even a reality. We had to park a good distance away from the entrance to the park. Then upon check in, we had a long line to wait in just to get our wrist bands. We bought the Adventure Pass to get a taste of what the Great Wolf Lodge offered and overall, we did enjoy ourselves. But the facility seemed to be understaffed. For example, the VR Adventure was staffed by one person who, not only had to set up participants to play and also work the register but then also run over to handle the mini golf section. Having only one employee working multiple stations, really kept us waiting excessively longer than necessary. The same thing could be said about the towel station outside the water park. There was a long line just to either pick up towels or to return them. It's just seemed like an easy solution to place one more employee to expedite this service. The Great Wolf Lodge is obviously a successful venture but for our money, we wouldn't be motivated to return anytime soon.

Very decent place to bring the kids. Fun slides. I ordered a cabana for day two of our stay and overall it was worth the money. Our first server never showed up and I had to wait and line twice in order to get it rectified. However the food and beverage manager was extremely professional and well mannered. Was able to calm me All the way down and provided me a new server within minutes. My new server Iraam was absolutely incredible and made the rest of our stay a happy one. I will be returning and plan on recommending this place as well

Overall rating is definitely 5 star.
I’ve been reading other reviews and people need to have realistic expectations. Yes it’s a family place and yes it’s loud and yes kids are running crazy all hopped up on sugar and excitement and yes it is crowded so expect to wait for some things. Don’t go if you are looking for rest and relaxation.
My kids had a great time. The staff was super friendly and some genuinely seemed to love their job. Our room was clean and we had everything we needed.
My one piece of advice is be careful with your pool towels. You have to scan your room key to pick them up and if you don’t scan to return you have to pay for them. This wasn’t clearly communicated to us and the kids just placed the towels in the dirty bin. I was charged $60 for towels we did not keep.
I would still recommend for families with younger kids. Just pack your patience!!

I came here not really knowing what to expect, but I was surprised. They have a mini golf, arcade, climbing course, bowling, water parks, hot tubs, water slides, the list just goes on. The thing you do here is stay a few nights, in a hotel room. The hotel rooms are very clean and are in good condition. The water slides are very thrilling, but are still very safe. My favorite water slide is the otter run, where you cross your arms and go down on your back. The hot tub is also one of my favorites because there is this one part where you go outside in the hot tub. I personally think it is best to go here during the winter. This is a great place to take your family, and your kids.

This was our first time at Great Wolf, and we will definitely be back! We stayed for one night (Mon/Tues) and found it to be busy, but not crowded. (I don't think I would come on a weekend or school vacation week!) My almost 4yo toddler loved all the small slides and wave pool. Towels and life vests all included, no need to bring those from home. As people have said here, the rooms (particularly the showers and carpeting) could use some updating, which is why i gave it 4 stars. But everything was clean and we constantly observed staff cleaning throughout the resort. Service was great - all the staff and food service workers we encountered were very polite and friendly. Lifeguards were diligent and watched swimmers carefully. People have commented that this place is a "money pit," but it doesn't have to be. We nixed the "pup pass" and our young kiddo fully enjoyed all the free activities and water park alone. When you stay over, you get to use water park both days. (See pic for activities) Tip: the wolf ears are complimentary when you stay over and you can bring your own glow sticks or light up wands from home for the dance parties! Perhaps older kids will feel more inclined to play the arcade games and other games you have to pay additional money for. We brought a small cooler with drinks, snacks and fruit and ate buffet meals in the dining room as opposed to the louder, quick service options - food was decent. We will definitely be back, maybe just do day passes since we only live an hour away.

We had a decent stay. That being said many things didn't work from systems, to arcade games, many things were out of order from elevators to parts of the magic game to one of the water slides. The staff we encountered work quite nice however there were not enough of them and the week at many of the activities was very long including an hour to rock climb. While they were about five places for children to rock climb only one child can climb at a time due to staffing. It was a magical place for our children however it was a little disappointing that they just couldn't do a little more to make the overall experience sweet. None of the issues were large but they were disappointed at a little frustrating. including placing to go orders online to find out we still had two-way quite a while because they were not prepared for the volume that they had. The day was Good Friday so they should have had a good sense of just how many people were be staying at their resort. We will probably try it again but will hope for a better experience overall.

Pretty good experience overall. Just an hour drive and easy to get to right off the highway. The inside water park has a lot of options and plenty of staff/lifeguards. Pretty mean of them to have you walk right through the arcade to get there! Clean, spacious rooms with everything you need. It wasn’t very clear to me where to get Dunks from the app, nor was it clear when the buffet was open but a quick call down to front desk helped. I can see my family coming back next year. Would recommend to any family.

A great place for families with lots of fun activities and an excellent indoor water park. Rooms are spacious and well appointed and the resort has more to do than can be experienced in a weekend. Food was good though not outstanding, as it was your standard American fare and no one had any complaints. The resort is a bit out there with other restaurants a reasonable but not quick drive away. This is a great place to visit for short stays and gets very busy on the weekends.
Home of the NFL’s New England Patriots, this jumbo stadium with coastal accents also hosts concerts.
Great Place, Staff was very Helpful especially for a person on crutches the view from the top level is Great as you can see from the pics. Prices for food/drinks pricie but just like most other stadiums. Great Experience for my 1st time, Definitely planning on going to see the Patriots Hall of Fame & also Patriots Place 👍

I delivered a load of office chairs to the Stadium. I was amazed by all of the work that was being done. Pouring concrete, building new rooms, and restaurants. Truly amazing. People were so friendly even though I was wearing my Bills hat and my truck had a Bills fan license plate. It was a great experience for me.

Got to experience a snow game at Gillette, truly an incredible experience. Have been to three games now and really enjoy the stadium, but crazy as it sounds seeing it in the snow made it so much better.
Gillette is a unique NFL stadium as it’s located pretty far from a true urban area. You can really see this sitting in the nosebleeds, just forest in all directions. This means it can be challenging getting out of the area after the game if you drive. There is a train for $10 that goes here specifically for games and concerts from both Providence and Boston, this is personally my favorite way to get to and from Gillette.
Another cool aspect is the lighthouse, you can apparently pay to go up and see the field from that vantage. Additionally, Patriot Place Mall provides a lot of dining and shopping options for before and after the game. Definitely grateful to have had some memorable experiences at this iconic stadium!

Wicked nice stadium. Beautiful restaurants and "town" outside of the actual stadium with a large variety of shops.
The price for food and beer was absurdly expensive at Gillette. Clean facilities.
Went for Monster Jam, loved every second of it. This stadium is MASSIVE and has ample parking (price varies depending on the event being hosted)

Have been to a few Patriots games the last few years. Some recent parking changes have made getting into Patriots games somewhat easier. General parking (across Rte 1) is now free! This makes getting into the stadium much quicker. They also now have delayed exit lots where they PAY YOU to park there (but you're not allowed to leave until 90 minutes AFTER the game ends). I would actually do this next time - a $75 Visa gift card is worth it to me.
The stadium itself is very good. No obstructed seats, and the suites are pretty roomy. Food in the suites is somewhat average but hey, you're in a suite being served food and drinks with a private bathroom, so who's to complain about average food. Entry through the stadium gates is simple - just scan your e-ticket and you're through. There is always ample stadium personnel available to help you and they are always VERY friendly. The lighthouse just opened and for $5, you can go up and get a great view of the field and surrounding areas.
Patriot Place is filled with various restaurants and shops (plenty to do especially if you're waiting to leave from those delayed exit parking lots).

Gillette is a great place to see Taylor Swift because Taylor Swift is epic and her production is fantastic. To that extent, my experiences there have been great. But the parking and road management leaving is absolutely stupid, and really badly designed. I'm pretty sure it is a safety hazard to funnel thousands of people exiting the main entrance up a stairwell (to the shopping area) to cross a road packed in like sardines. Thankfully no one fell, but the stairs in a crowd like that is just not safe and I'm pretty sure that has got to be some kind of code violation. It took 45 minutes just to walk across the street. Leaving the parking and getting onto the road was okay once we reached the car, but again they shut down any turns on the road for at least five miles if not more and it's bumper to bumper the whole time because no one can exit that road. It's the stupidest set-up imaginable. But, for the rare occasions Taylor performs there, I'll deal with it. There is literally no one else on earth I would endure the Gillette exit hellscape for. Obviously they should put in pedestrian bridges or tunnels to cross over/under the road to the satellite parking across the street. It's truly the stupidest stadium design I have ever seen.

Nice venue for a concert, though the sound was actually kind of s*%t--not sure if this was because of where our seats were. We were in section 129 and sound was very fuzzy. Bummer. Very easy to get into and out of. I expected it to be worse getting out. We did notice that people who paid $50 and $60 for parking in the private lots (gas stations, etc. along Rte. 1) had a longer walk to the stadium and back to their cars and still had to deal with traffic on the way out, possibly even more than those of us coming out of general parking. Save your money and use general parking.

Game was good seats are good, however if you have knee or hip problems and you want an elevator good luck, elevators are locked and you have to walk a 1/4 of the stadium to get to an elevator in the club section.

Went to a concert at this stadium. Although it was raining on the day we went the stadium was very nice. Lots of places to buy drinks, treats, and concert memorabilia. Easy to get in and out with lots of staff and state troopers to guide us along. You have to walk to and from the parking areas but it wasn't too far to go. At the end of the concert, the state troopers closed off part of the double highway. There were 5 lanes all going one way, so leaving was not as difficult as I thought it would be. I'd definitely like to go back someday.

The last two times I came to the Patriots game I had really great seats! but too bad they lost both times! but other than that it's always so fun to tailgate before the game, if you don't tailgate then you can walk around the outside shops. There's so many different things for you to do with your children if you have children & or go on a date night.

Able to go to Gillette for the first time. Stadium is beautiful and all the staff was incredible. Well run machine. Only negative for us was the no cash/ visa only. Billy Joel & Stevie Nicks we’re amazing!! The whole show was awesome and they played all of the hits. Though, there was a huge problem with Gillette that should be spread to everyone if they buy tickets up in the 300’s. The view of the stage is nearly blurry and the screens don’t even help. Whole show it rained and everybody’s view was getting blocked as people kept walking up and down the aisle stairs. The pictures may look not that far away but it really was. Another complaint is that we tried to find our parking spot and an hour later we found it. Multiple security workers told us to go all different ways and one of them told us to go walk on the side of the road. The last complaint is that they didn’t even use the brand new big screens they just added in. Everyone was complaining. Felt like a wet dog after the show too. Bought food inside the venue and it was surprisingly cheap. $15 for a burger and French fry meal. Definitely a good venue to attend as long as it’s not raining and you gotta have good seats. Will be returning for Metallica next year, I hope I will be pleased….

We love going to Gillette stadium for Revs games. I am not a stadium expert by any measure, but the concrete looks really great, the seats all seem to fold nicely, and most importantly there is a really nice area in the middle for sporting and dancing. I think Taylor Swift loved it there briefly last summer, so if you are into dancing and singing then you may love it there too.

The greatest place I have been in a long time I am from Houston and a huge Patriots fan and seeing this stadium for the first time in my life up close and personal. It was amazing to me and it's different especially with stores around as if a big mall before entering the stadium.
The Worcester Art Museum is a magnificent institution that showcases an extensive assortment of artwork spanning from ancient to modern times. The collection boasts European masterpieces, sculptures, and relics arranged in a well-organized fashion, along with special exhibitions. Additionally, the museum features a Gothic house and the Higgins collection of medieval arms and armor. Visitors can also enjoy the National Portrait Gallery's collection while friendly staff and docents assist them throughout their visit.
This is a fantastic art museum with a wide array of well organized paintings, sculptures, relics, and special exhibits. We went specifically for the Higgins collection of medieval arms and armor. I also enjoyed the collection from the National Portrait Gallery. Staff and docents were friendly, and the scavenger hunt for my 9yo son was fun. With the holidays, they also had decorated trees, a guest train layout, and various activities from ice carving to hands-on armor tryouts. The proximity to parks and historical sites makes WAM and Worcester overall a great day trip.

Such a cool museum! They have a variety of different kids of art (painting, sculpture, pottery, carvings, etc) from several different cultures and time periods including a reconstructed cathedral room. There are a smattering of touchable or even wearable recreations of period pieces for the younger kids to explore.

A gorgeous art museum found in the second largest city in Massachusetts. While most tourists may gravitate to the museums in Boston, this one should not be overlooked. Their permanent collection consists of art and items from around the globe and include the Higgins Armory Collection after that museum closed several years ago. The rotating galleries always feature a new, fascinating collection. I'm fortunate enough to have seen the Jewels of the Nile exhibit and was blown away by the presentation. Truly a must visit for art lovers!

This is always a fun local visit for me and my family. I am currently a New England Museum Association (NEMA) member and can visit for free plus one guest. I probably visit every other year when I want to see the latest new exhibit. My one complaint is that the Egyptian art was replaced by medieval art when the WAM received the collections of Higgins Armory.

A wonderful gem so close to home! Special points for being fully handicap accessible, even in a snow covered winter month like January in New England. We were drawn to visit by the museum because of the Rembrandt exhibit of beautiful (yet tiny) etchings. Spent about four hours exploring and know there was much more that we were forced to save for another visit. Easy to get to, plenty of accessible parking, great wheelchair ramps, friendly, polite, and helpful staff — a great outing with my dad. Highly recommend WAM. And while you’re in town, some other beautiful old church buildings and other architecture if you’re into that sort of thing. The Roman and Greek sculpture is always my favorite, but many individual galleries of painters, sculptures, medieval armor and weapons, beautiful mosaics, and more. I’ll post a few photos, but didn’t take very many.

Loved the art, the music and the area dining. it was a lovely afternoon!

Big museum with lots of different exhibits on display. We liked the armor, and the ancient materials from BCE. Many paintings, carvings, and collections. The Antioch Mosaic is huge, beautiful and amazing. The Chapter house is a reconstructed castle room - dissembled and reconstructed piece by piece inside the museum!
The exhibits change frequently so things can be different each time you go.

Eclectically displayed collection. Some rare, unexpected, and off-the-beaten-path works of art. If you're here for the armor (like me) be forewarned that it is randomly and nonsensically distributed throughout this large museum. The lighting is a crime; I could not see many paintings because of the glare. I found an engaging and knowledgeable docent who greatly enhanced my visit. Would definitely come again!

Absolutely delightful! Finally visited with my 2 boys. Sadly we arrived after school and the museum closes at 4pm so we couldn't see the upper floors.
The staff is so friendly and very helpful. We had a great brief history of medieval weapons and armour which my boys enjoyed very much.
They have a diversity of art work, from paintings to sculptures and jewelry.
We will definitely be visiting again

Fairly large art museum located in Worcester about an hour from Boston. General admission is not free but parking is free. Food options are extremely limited. We came to see the temporary Rembrandt etchings exhibit which was excellent. The permanent exhibits are extensive and we didn’t try to see everything but we enjoyed the impressionist paintings particularly. There are activities specifically for kids. Lots of stairs but grandma can take the elevator.

We visited on 1st sunday of july which means we got a free entry. Loved how a heavy rainy day turned fruitful by visiting this absolutely beautiful museum. Loved all the arts and artworks here. Parking is free and might be a tiny bit difficult to park if you go 1st sunday of a month.

A well designed art museum having a wide variety of paintings, sculpture and most surprisingly a whole mosaic from Ancient Turkey. Unfortunately several rooms are closed and the elevator is not working. Parking free and spacious. The museum officers are kind and friendly. There some educational activities for children on weekends. You can reserve your tickets cheaper by using your local library network.
The RISD Museum is a major art museum housed in 5 buildings on the campus of Brown University and Rhode Island School of Design. The museum has collections from many different artists, including pieces by famous French Impressionists, ancient Egyptian sculptures, American paintings from the 18th century to contemporary works, and much more. The museum is very large and has many galleries with priceless paintings.
Unbelievably large collection of interesting and unique art. I get bored quickly in art museums but this sprawling collection had so many diverse collections; every room was a new medium to explore! Lots of impressive pieces to recognize juxtaposed with unknowns to discover. I loved it!

I really liked the museum! It was bigger and better than I expected! Good collections! Loved the signs with artists' names and texts, placed next to paintings - they did a great job! It was interesting to read and learn!
I loved the room with European icons and religious sculptures. Many objects were 1000 years old. I loved seeing them!
European art of XVIII and XIX centuries was very nice! The collection of American art was great! Interesting room with textiles.
Highly recommend to visit! Loved the cafeteria in the museum, too! 👍

I loved this museum. Designed to inspire RISD students in their studies? It's compact and covers 6 floors. Spent most of the day here with a friend. It was so satisfying - inspiring, intriguing, stimulating and thought provoking. Modern and Contemporary; New Media; Prints, Drawings and Photographs; European; Ancient Greek and Roman; Ancient Egyptian; Costume and Textiles; Asian; American; Decorative Arts and Design. Here are some photos of my favorites. Entry is $20. Free on Sundays.

It was an amazing museum! I didn't expect there to be so many different floors full of treasures. We spent about 3 hours and I felt like we rushed. We went on a Sunday when it was free and there were lots of people, but it wasn't crazy. The woman at the front was extremely helpful and gave us tips on how to view everything.
Definitely a must see when in the area!
I added some of my favorite pictures ❤

Visiting the RISD Museum was a remarkable and free art experience. I spent a captivating 4 to 5 hours exploring the exhibits and can't wait to return. It was incredibly enjoyable to discover a wide range of art, both from professional artists and students. The informative descriptions added a depth of cultural insight to my visit. I was pleasantly surprised to find free entry, possibly because it was a Sunday, and I didn't need to inquire further. If you have a passion for art, this museum is an absolute must-visit.

Excellent smaller art museum. Permanent collections are wonderful - Roman, Greek, Egyptian and European artwork as well as lovely furniture collections. Have seen many thought provoking, interesting exhibits here over the years with a wide variety of media and messages. My favorite place to visit in Providence. The shop is a gem too - located across the street from Main St entrance.

Much larger and more interesting place than just looking from the outside. The museum connects like four buildings in various walkways, ramps, stairs, and bridges. We ended up spending like two hours here and could have easily spent the entire day.

A great spot. Certain days are free, I believe it was Thursday night and Sunday all day. There’s a small waiting area when you enter. Large, different everywhere. A nice museum with a lot of variety to it.
It is kind of like a confusing maze though so it’s best if you have a lot of time to spend here. Hard to park in this area. They have little free cubby lockers and places to put your belongings and jackets.

Fantastic museum in the heart of downtown providence! Free on Sundays, take your time winding through 3+ floors with many rooms. Everything from modern art to a sarcophagus, textiles, and everything in between. Take a break at the coffee shop (accessible from inside the museum as well) and then power on through the museum.

I was surprised by the size of the museum, does not look as large form outside. Collection is very Electric so you will find something you like for sure.
Free on Sunday and 20USD other days. Street parking.

I was pleasantly surprised, and enjoyed visiting the museum. I wondered all the floors.
I will to return in warmer weather to enjoy some of the outdoor sitting areas.
Free on Sundays is a wonderful thing.

A beautiful art museum. It is not only paintings or pictures, also ceramic art and furniture pieces and more. Some modern pieces from the current and past students can also be seen. I highlighted some German art, but there is something from lots of countries.
There is a sitting room where you can read some of the art books while there. What is also great is that it is free on Sundays and some evenings. Please check the website.
There is a cafe at the museum that is open to the public. There are lockers for your backpacks since they aren't allowed in, but not many. On the other hand there are lots of restrooms.

The Roger Williams Park Zoo is one of the oldest zoos in the country, and it has a number of modern design features that make it a great option for kids. You can meet a variety of animals here, including snow leopards, giraffes, elephants, and zebras.
I like this zoo so much. They have so many animals. The size is good for a family. The Roger Williams Park also huge, includes museum and a lake that you can play swan boat. Will definitely go back when weather is better. Highly recommend to go early like 9am then you can easy to find a parking spot.

A very fun, clean. and welcoming zoo all around. I have come here a few times and experienced a normal zoo day, as well as the October pumpkin carved event, and the Asian Lantern Spectacular. The lantern event was stunning. It’s fun being in the park at night, but the light displays were incredible to see. The size and scale of them all - and a few even moved! If you get the chance, highly recommend.

We have a membership because my son is obsessed with this zoo! It’s always very clean, and the staff are always super nice. My son is autistic, and if you have a person in your life on the spectrum, I highly recommend. My tip would be to go during the week, and get there right as they open. The park can get really busy with lots of families, so it can be very overwhelming to those who have sensitivities and sensory problems. My son adores the zebras, the elephants, and the giraffes! All the animals are very well taken care of, and have roomy enclosures. The staff do a lot of work in conservation, and ensuring that endangered species are protected well.

One of the best zoos I have visited. I've never been able to see or be near a cheetah! I must have been lucky to see that all the animals were out today. There was a fun dinosaur exhibit for the kiddos the week I went. I didn't expect the zoo to be so big! I ended up staying for 2-3 hours and enjoyed every minute! You can tell the animals were very well taken care of ❤️ There is also a cute little petting farm here.

Our recent visit to the zoo was nothing short of magical. All thanks to DJ Hill, our incredibly knowledgeable and engaging tour guide, who made the experience truly unforgettable.
DJ Hill's passion for the animals was evident, as he told us about special and personal connections he had to some animals in the park.
The highlight of our day was an unexpected surprise - the sloths! We were thrilled to see these amazing creatures up close. This was an added bonus we didn't expect, but it made our tour even more memorable!
But the most magical moment of the day was undoubtedly the engagement proposal. DJ did an incredible job at incorporated the proposal into our animal encounter. My girlfriend was surprised and overjoyed!
The zoo, the Zuuber tour, and DJ Hill played an integral part in making this day one of the happiest days of our lives. We can't recommend this experience enough!

It's been a while since I've been back home, and they've done a great job enhancing the zoo. I wish I had the time on this trip to visit the lanterns at night. I love the new rainforest exhibit they added with the sloth!

What a fantastic zoo. We were very happy to see the large enclosures the animals had. The zoo is very large and very easy to make your way through the entire zoo. There are many benches along the way if you get tired to take a rest. They time event the tickets so the crowds were not overwhelming. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. There is a good variety of animals. This was the nicest zoo I have ever visited. If you get tired of looking at animals they have a very fun zipline you can do for an added cost inside the zoo. There are carriages to rent for children and wheelchairs for those who need one. Parking was easy and ample. Very affordable prices would definitely recommend this for children and adults.

This is a good zoo but not many animals can be found. You can cover entire zoo in maybe 2-3 hours. What i like about this place is how well it is maintained. Parking might be a struggle if you chose to come mid afternoon. Plan coming before 10 am and you might get a spot closest to the zoo. Overall a good experience for my toddler

I visited for the first time for the jack-o-lantern spectacular and WOW that was amazing! So many, literally thousands, of carved pumpkins and so many neat and interesting designs to be seen. I didn't find parking to to be much of an issue, even on a busy Sunday night. We bought tickets in advance and showed the barcode on our phone for entry with no line. I highly recommend this!

I haven't been to the zoo in a while and the experience on Monday was wonderful. It had a lot of updates made including my favorite, the rain forest building. It was great even though I couldn't find the sloth, lol. The mythical creature area was well worth the extra cost as well. 😍

Get the membership! It pays for itself after 2 times and allows for discounts for special events. My son and I can casually walk around for a couple hours and just take it all in. The exhibits are well kept and the animals are very clearly taken care of. Each time we go we try and spend a little time learning a little something extra about one of the animals by utilizing the qr codes posted around the exhibits. Restrooms are all over the zoo so you aren't searching for one when you need one. My only big complaint is about the food which leaves something to be desired, but knowing that I just pack a lunch.

An incredible zoo and a fun time for the whole family. Vending machines are way over priced, though so bring a water and save your extra money for the gift shop or a quick lunch.
On the positive, it is absolutely one of the best zoos I've been to and I very much recommend it for everyone.

This zoo was equally wonderful and disappointing depending on the exhibit. Some of the animal had great enclosures while others seemed to be in too small a space with very little greenery. The donkey, the zebras, watusi and the wildebeasts are sad. It was nice to see some animals I haven’t seen before. This was not the best zoo but for sure pretty decent. It was clean and the employees were very pleasant.

My self, my daughter, and five of my grandchildren attended the Christmas light spectacular and it did not disappoint. So many beautiful light displays to take on, Christmas carolers and hot coco made for a wonderful evening. A Lil Providence Treasure!
Located in one of my favorite parks on the East Coast, RWPZ is a family-friendly experience for all ages - both a zoo and nice walk around the wetlands. Our favorite part was the Faces of the Rainforest building, where some animals have an open enclosure and are allowed to roam the building! It was surreal to explore the rainforest (and yes, it's very humid conditions) with sloths, birds and golden tamarins moving about. Watch out for the bird poop though!
You could get pretty close to some of the animals, especially those in their indoor enclosures. It allows you to view animal adaptations and behaviors more vividly (especially in the Rainforest)! The animals were fairly active earlier in the day (and probably would be again at the end of the day)- as typical with most zoos.
The zoo was easy to navigate, had food and restroom facilities open even during reduced winter capacity, and most animals were viewable to the public (some moved to indoor enclosures instead of their typical outdoor ones). There's some construction to build new buildings, renovate exhibits or move new animals into exhibitions (like the serval, penguins, and red pandas), so that's something to keep in mind.
Education: since there is no public educational programming in the winter, I don't feel like the zoo taught me much. There was some information about each animal (what you normally see displayed in zoos but I will say the fun facts and sometimes mentioned conservation efforts) but little to no information about their natural habitats or conservation efforts themselves. The Rainforest exhibit is on the newer end and is educational, so I'm hoping it's just a matter of upgrades.
Cost: $10.50 (admission was discounted 50% in the winter; admission is typically $21 for adults)
AZA Reciprocity: typically honored with a 50% discount; was not in effect during our visit because of the winter discount
Accessibility: while the walking paths were clear from the snow and clearly marked, most exhibits didn't have automatic doors
Wait Times: only ticket booth was open so there was a short wait (less than ten minutes) to purchase tickets or show them an online ticket for entry; there is a pretty $5 processing fee for online tickets so we decided to purchase tickets online
Travel: about a 1.5hr drive from Boston or accessible by bus (arrives directly to the front gates)
Parking: free parking is available on-site and pretty plentiful; overflow lots are located nearby in the park
Restrooms: the best thing was the plentiful restrooms at every corner! the hasbro background area for families with children even had a changing area, separate from the neighboring restroom
Collectibles: collectible penny machines are $1 and presently didn't have RWPZ enamel pins
Recycling Program: recycle your e-waste by the ticket/entrance booths for free
Food Pantry: open to those who need it. that's a grab and go style food pantry by the entrance for visitors to leave non perishable items in or take items they need
Other Notes: minimal reptiles at this zoo

I visited the Roger Williams Park Zoo, taking advantage of the first beautiful day of the year. Despite it being a busy day, the zoo never felt overcrowded, allowing us to enjoy our visit at a relaxed pace. It had been several years since my last visit, and I was impressed to see clean grounds and has a thoughtful layout. The selection of wildlife was diverse and engaging, making our trip truly memorable. Highly recommend for a pleasant day out!

Went for the Jack O Lantern Spectacular, bought tickets ahead of time so it wouldn't be too much of a hassle getting in.
Well, I can tell you going through the ticket booth is the least of your worries - finding parking was the most draining part about the visit.
There were no signs pointing where to go specifically for the event.
The roads and the signs within the zoo weren't lit either so it felt like every man for himself trying to find parking.
Once you do find parking, you're hoping you can come across other people so you get an idea of where to go.
Also if you go too late, a lot of concession stands are closed so if you get there past 7, make sure you're dressed warmly and have eaten something already because the lines at the places still open will take forever.
The actual tour was nice, they definitely go a long way to set the atmosphere. The Lanterns were so cool but everyone also wants a picture so expect to inevitably bump into people. They had different themes throughout the tour and it was amazing seeing how intricate they could get.
Sensory warning -
*If you get overstimulated by a lot of sound, I highly recommend sound reducing headphones* and expect to encounter kids with flashing light toys of some sort.
Overall it wasn't bad but there's a lot that could be improved in terms of organization and making it easier to plan for the throngs of people, especially on the weekend.
Get there at least half an hour before your scheduled time slot so you have a chance to find parking closer to the event entrance.

Great walkable zoo with nice exhibits. Cheetahs were most active late in the day at closing (feeding?) time. The walk-in building with the tropical birds and monkeys was very cool as the monkeys, birds, and sloths were all free within the building and 'jungle' as you walked through it.

Love visiting for the Jack-o-lantern spectacular for the past few years. Plenty of incredible works of art to admire. Go on a weekday so it's not too crowded. Parking is free and decent if the crowd is light. Stroll at your own pace and take in all the sights. Definitely fun for all.
Old Sturbridge Village is a living history museum located in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. It offers a re-creation of an 1830s settlement with costumed staff, rides, and activities for family entertainment. The village meticulously recreates rural New England life from the 1830s, complete with historic buildings, working farms, and costumed interpreters.
This is a remarkable destination. So many interesting things to do and see. I highly recommend getting the membership, even if you only go for one day you get a discount at the shops. you can see a lot in a few hours or spend the day enjoying all the attractions. If it's raining just bring an umbrella, there are plenty of indoor attractions.

This place was wonderful and very educational. It really is like it's own little village. There are some small hiking trails where you can see some awesome views. Watching the staff with the oxen was awesome and informative. I want to go back in warmer weather for the boat ride. The only thing I wish was that there was more "characters" dressed up. I am thinking maybe because it was cooler or because of COVID. The "characters" who were there were fascinating and knowledgeable. We spent a few hours here and it was lovely.

Great place to stop and learn about New England life in the early 1800s. There are many buildings of the period, furnished as they would have been. The have knowledgeable people in period dress there happy to educate and demonstrate many of the roles and daily tasks of a blacksmith, Cooper, cabinet maker, potter, and banker. They also did some baking and braiding straw for hats as well as read some letters of what it was like for women and the issues of that period.

Had a fantastic time at Old Sturbridge Village! It was absolutely beautiful all decorated for the season. Dress warmly for the Christmas Lights celebrations! It's cold but it makes it all the whole better when you slip into a house and look at all of the items and listen to the historians talk about what they really love.
Will visit again!

I have been here in all four seasons and am always impressed with the museum. People are dressed in period clothes, willing to teach a bit about early American History as folks wander from room to room, building to building. They do a great job. Nice shop, great pub, they host special events year round. Good for all ages, really nice way to spend a day.

We went in March and were able see how people who lived in the 1830's were able to collect and boil down maple sap to make molasses. All the houses were open and though the people who worked there wore masks they were not required of visitors. The village was a true village with blacksmith, saw mill, school etc. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable with the wagon ride being interesting and full of history as well. There were outhouses for visitors to see but 21 century plumbing for visitors to use. There were changing tables in the restrooms. The walking was easy and stroller friendly. The roads were sandy/gravel. A good pair of hiking shoes would be fine here. The chickens roam freely here. The cafeteria had sandwiches but there were no posted limits on outside food, the menu changes with the season so check their website before you go. Overall the experience was educational and laid back. We will be going back in warmer weather.

One of those places that you can go to over and over again. The amount of skill people had to have back then is amazing. Watching the blacksmith, the Cooper and the housewife making do with the ovens of the time. It's is an amazing step back into history. The actors seem very realistic to the period. The animals all look very well cared for. A wonderful time even in the rain.

Excellent! My 7 year old son and I had an amazing time. Great for all ages. Hands on for kids...and kids and heart. The costumed reactors are everywhere and give really interesting information. The grounds are beautiful, and the town is actually pretty big. It's like stepping back in time. In fact, I told my son we were going to be taking a time machine back in time to 1835. He was very into it, and wants to return for Halloween and Christmas.

The Christmas by candlelight was so peaceful. The mulled cider was an awesome treat to keep warm in the cold. The cookies are to die for and probably the best cup of hot cocoa I’ve ever had. Reading the “make a wish” area under the bridge makes you really take a look at life
**I thought the lighting ceremony would have been a little more organized, we all waited about 10 minutes past the lighting time, the light came on and that was it. No cheers, no leading up to the lighting. Just on and done with.

I went to the Christmas by Candlelight event on Sunday. Advice to heed is dress warm and you will do fine. My husband loved the 2 big bonfires they had going and I loved the carol singing at the church and the horse ride. Kind of like a trolley ride but with 2 big big big horses pulling them. And of course all the lights. Very pretty and puts you right in the festive mood. This was my first time doing this event and I will go back again next year if they are still doing this. Job well done.

Honestly a great place to go for all ages. Plenty to see and do. My favorite part are the various games they have scattered throughout the village. Free to play. You can go into every building. And they usually have someone in every building to chat with you about it. It really immerses you in the experience. I wish they sold more old timey clothes. Food is good. Plenty of it. Places to eat and bathrooms on site. It's a large place so expect lots of walking. But there are plenty of places to sit. Lots of animals as well.

Phenomenal experience. This was my family’s first time at this fun Halloween event at Sturbridge Village and we loved it! From the historical village, living exhibits, fun and willing to play along staff, we had a great time. Our 3rd grader especially enjoyed the ghost stores by the fire. The gentleman that entertained the audience with the spooky but not too scary stories was an excellent storyteller. We enjoyed the popcorn and cookies at the concession stand and the many different shows to attend throughout the evening.

This is a great place for children and adults alike. We went on the tail end of Maple Days, and it's getting a bit too late in the season to see the full mapling process. February would likely be a better time to visit.
It's a very immersive experience. The guides are dressed in period clothes to explain the structures/buildings, and what it's for; and there are even live demonstrations. I like that the guides are not "in character" because it allows for much more natural conversation/interaction, and an actual engaging learning experience.

2-18-24 - We brought our kids here 25 years ago. Was working nearby and decided to revisit. I love this place. Hiking around in February. Snow on the ground. No crowds. Ample time to chat with the reenactors. Lots of space and inspiration to imagine life in 1838 New England -- before screens, electricity, and AI. Before world wars and school shootings and SUVs. Kids shrieking with joy when they see farm animals, fascinated by the shoemaker and candle making. A lovely experience.

A big, bright and fun museum - definitely child-oriented, but also fun if you had a definitely place in your heart for these books as a kid.

It is in a small, plain white, unassuming building. There are two small galleries - one was closed today- plus a library, auditorium, gift shop, and art studio for kids to paint. Tours are self-guided.
The gallery we went in had drawings hung at child level for the 4-8yo age range. There was a cute sofa with lots of books to read.
In the corridor there was a big butterfly mural (good for pics), a butterfly shelf with two seats inside for kids to "hide" in, an interactive felt board with colourful felt to move around (good for 1-5yo age range), and a cut-out head hungry caterpillar to pose for photos (3+ age range for height for that).
We didn't make it into the library because it was hopping! Full of kids and parents and I'm not sure if it was for checking out books like a literal library or just reading them there.
The gift shop had a variety of items in varying price ranges.
The art studio had watercolor pencils and paint, drawing pencils that kids are invited to use (good for 2+). It also had a very small section with building blocks (good for 1-3yo).
They offered story times and other kid events throughout the day.
The bathrooms were clean. One Accessible stall, one child size toilet (which had an auto flush on it), and one non-auto flush toilet, plus several other toilets.
We checked out a free admission pass from our local library. You can also get in free if you have EBT, WIC, or ConnectorCare health insurance.
I would say this is best for the 4 or 5 age range and up. My 2yo wasn't overly impressed, but it wasn't crowded and definitely had a kid-friendly vibe!
Down the street from Atkins Farm Market, so do yourself a favour and stop in for amazing donuts, ice cream, other baked foods, fresh local produce, sandwiches, deli meat, etc.

We went on Friday and it wasn't very busy. They had yoga story time outside and it was a blast. Highly recommend this place for children 8 and under or kids of all ages.

This place is a gem. If you are looking for somewhere to take pictures of your children this place is colorful and has an amazing outdoors in the warm weather. My child loved the arts and crafts area and the library...the staff is amazing with children and it is obvious from their great interaction with my son who can be tough at times...Issac passed out in the car after!

Great place when my kids where small. Visiting a couple weekends from Connecticut up here and it was great. My kids always enjoyed themselves. We love Eric Carle

While the Museum is beautifully curated and a great tribute to Eric Carl, I was so disappointed by the fact that one of the book/movies shown (Julian is a Mermaid) in the Auditorium was not appropriate for my kids ages 4 & 5 and for many kids that were at the museum at the time. As I respect everyone to become who they want to be at their own pace, I’m totally against grooming and influencing kids at such young ages to question their identity, that should come naturally and not by the pressures of today’s society or Children Museums such as this one.
The Museum is very informative for adults and older kids that are interested in this kind of art, had a great craft room but for little children I would say ages 0-7 there is not many hands on activities to keep them engaged.

A wonderful museum for all ages. Small ish, so a great little afternoon trip. There is a little art workspace with provided materials for you to make something if you're feeling inspired, again welcome to all ages.
Gift shop has an AMAZING selection of illustrated books.

This is a great museum celebrating the work of Eric Carle and other children's book illustrators. The exhibits change every 6 months or so, and the art studio always has a fun activity. Our family loves visiting!

An outstanding tribute to Eric Carle. The bookstore and library have an excellent array of moving/meaningful kids' books. The artistic displays, throughout the museum and in the bookstore, are incredible. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

If you have kids, take them here. We had no kids with us and had an amazing time. A great way to spend an afternoon. Very interactive for all, I can home with a flip flap book........so fun!

This is a small museum. There are exhibits in 2 rooms and also story time with a harpsichord musician who reads in braille, a gift shop a theatre that plays an animated story, a lobby with Eric Carle book characters to place your face in for a photo. I thought the library was the highlight.

We love all of Eric Carle’s books, so we made it a point to stop during a recent trip. This is incredibly well done, and a nice tribute to Eric’s works.
I recommend starting off to the left of the reception to learn about the man behind the books. That really helped frame the rest of the visit for us.
I can see with younger kids, you could spend hours here. There is a artwork studio where kids can create their own pieces. There are grounds outside for a picnic.
We went just to tour on our own, and we were done in a little less than an hour.
I’m glad we stopped and visited.

Loved all the artworks using collage and tissue paper, something I hadn't appreciated before. The art that goes into children's books is absolutely beautiful. Aside from their collection, I also recommend this museum due to them incorporating interactivity for children: from opportunities to read a picture book, to drawing your favorite pet, and finally wrapping up the visit in the art studio!
Also glad to see that the museum is enforcing masks.

As a picture book author/illustrator this place was equivalent to visiting the MET museum for picture books! The space itself is welcoming and open. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's worth visiting more than once because there are many opportunities for kids and adults alike to explore the fascinating work of Eric Carle and similar collage artists who are paid homage in two dedicated exhibition spaces. The book store houses a wonderful selection of picture books and gifts to delight any age. Will visit again soon!
The Springfield Armory National Historic Site is a must-visit location for history enthusiasts and those interested in military weaponry. On the campus of Springfield Technical Community College, this free museum boasts an impressive collection of guns and other arms from the Revolutionary War era. Visitors can enjoy a short film providing an overview of the armory's historical significance, as well as intimate demonstrations and talks by park rangers.
Both the elderly male and the young blond female rangers were proactively very friendly & inviting as soon as we set foot inside. This is quite rare and refreshing when staff genuinely enjoy what they do. The younger ranger gave a demo of the antique muskets/rifles and how they changed through the years - super awesome fun, fact-filled demo! The video footage was started for us as soon as we entered the premises. (We were a group of 7 people.) What a great historical account of the history of the armory and the rifles whether or not you're a gun enthusiast or not. You will not need more than 2 hrs in this place as it is not huge, but the knowledgeable and friendly staff is what makes this historic site 5 stars! The guns on display are well organized with push button videos at some stations. The short clips themselves are to the point and helpful. Small gift shop area - wish they were made in USA products, shirts were not that good quality. Overall fantastic place to visit. Thank you to both the rangers!

I love National Park Sites, as each has something unique to showcase! The armory has great displays about why it was created, the role it played in providing arms for the US military for many wars, and the way it changed over time (both with industrialization and the expanding role of private companies as weapons providers).
One section of the exhibits focuses on the process and machines used to build guns, the other section on the actual guns. And there are TONS of guns on display from across the history of the armory (and guns from many other countries and manufacturers).

It was a great experience! So much history about Springfield, MA and the Armory. I grew up here and didn't even know some of the history such as streets being named due to their proximity to the Armory such as Magazine St, Armory St, etc., State St used to be named Toddy Rd due to the amount of bars and taverns frequented by the people who worked at the Armory! It was a great day. The volunteers were so helpful and knowledgeable. Great experience.

A Must-Visit for History Buffs and Weapon Enthusiasts
The Springfield Armory National Historic Site is an absolute gem for anyone interested in American history and military artifacts. From the moment you step onto the grounds, you're transported back in time to the height of the Industrial Revolution, when Springfield was a major center for firearms manufacturing.
The highlight of the museum is undoubtedly the collection of weapons. It's truly awe-inspiring to see such a vast array of firearms from different eras, from muskets used in the Revolutionary War to cutting-edge modern weapons. The exhibits are well-curated and informative, providing fascinating insights into the evolution of weaponry and its impact on history.
But the Springfield Armory is more than just guns. The historic buildings themselves are worth a visit, with their grand architecture and impressive displays of machinery used in the manufacturing process. There are also exhibits on the role of the armory in American society and culture, which I found particularly interesting.
I especially enjoyed the interactive exhibits, which allowed me to get a hands-on experience with some of the weapons. I even learned how to load a musket! The staff was also incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and they were happy to answer any questions I had.
Overall, I highly recommend the Springfield Armory National Historic Site to anyone looking for a unique and educational experience. It's a great place to learn about American history, see some amazing weapons, and explore a fascinating piece of industrial heritage.
Here are some additional tips for your visit:
Allow plenty of time to explore the museum, as there's a lot to see and do.
Wear comfortable shoes, as there's a lot of walking involved.

Ranger Steele made our experience so special and provided us with answers to all of our questions giving us a really immersive and exciting experience. The museum is small but wonderfully curated and is jam packed with meaningful information and displays. Be sure to see the entire campus and not just the museum. Can’t wait to go back and learn more.

As a firearms enthusiast and amateur historian I cannot recommend a stop at Springfield Armory more! The displays of one of a kind, and specialty weaponry are quite impressive. So much history, and excellent examples of the engineering and machining prowess that helped arm the U.S. Military for many decades. Almost more impressive than the firearms was the absolutely amazing park service staff that I spoke with at length about a variety of interesting topics. It’s great to see folks working here take pride in what they do.

A must see for any history buff, weapon aficionados, or just anyone in general!
The museum is located on the Springfield Technical Community College campus and is free to visitors.
They have a short film that provides a great overview of the armory and its importance in US history.
It wasn't very busy when we visited so it was nice to have the whole place to ourselves as well as small intimate demonstrations and talks provided by the park rangers. The place wasn't very big - 1 floor only but still lots to see.
Definitely a fun way to spend the afternoon.

This is a must see location for anyone with an interest in small arms, history, military affairs or manufacturing. It was a bit difficult to find using car GPS, as the stated address doesn't coincide with the entrance. You MUST enter from Federal Street near State Street. Depending on your level of interest, you should plan to spend 30 minutes to two hours.

My visit to The Springfield Armory National Historical Site was amazing. The staff members on site were extremely helpful even going so far as to provide me with a helpful list of New England history sights worth visiting.
The collection on display provides an unparalleled look at the history of United States small arms from The American Revolution through to the when the Armory ceased operation in 1968.
Of particular interest there are a few weapons on display which have suffered from freak accidents, including a gun which has been struck by lightning.
This sight is a must see if you are in the Springfield area, budget between one to two hours if you want to read everything and look at all the firearms.

A unique location filled with plenty of historic artifacts around U.S. military firearms, manufacturing, and events. The guides were super friendly and certainly know their history. If you're an active servicemember of veteran, you can also come here to obtain your free U.S. National Park lifetime pass. I was not able to attend but they also have historical reenactments which I thought might be interesting.
Forested aerial park featuring zip lines, bridges & climbing challenges for all levels, age 7 & up.
Great park for tree adventures, climbing ladders and ropes and going down zip lines. Well established and organized, well designed, built and maintained. Fun for both kids and adults, several options for the right level of challenge.
We visited on a summer Sunday, it was not too crowded so the lines were not long. The staff was professional, kind and friendly, more personable than in other places (they even take pictures of guests' pets and post them on a board, that's really nice).
It's in the middle of the woods, so the restrooms are portable and there's no running water. They provide drinking water in small cups, but you may wanna bring water bottles also to wash your hands. They provide lockers (bring a lock) and they have trash and recycling bins.
The ticket is for 3 hours, which is just enough time to do several courses (it takes fitness and stamina to keep going for longer). I wish they also sold tickets for one hour or a single course, to allow parents to share the experience without pushing themselves too much if they're not comfortable.
Very good experience overall :-)

Absolutely amazing experience (second time at the park). Staff is very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. They worked very well with an 8 year old that struggled on one of the courses and assisted her off the course in a very professional and caring manner. They even acknowledged her hard work and determination by letting her grab an ice cream which was very courteous. Definitely will go again. The UCONN Dairy Bar is an excellent post course activity as well

So I just wa t to say it was my first time with my daughter and my niece and nephew and we loved the glow in the dark zip lining!! The music was fantastic and the workers were extremely helpful!! I want to give a specific shout out to an employee named Jordan. He was very helpful and has the upper body strength of a god! We were extremely grateful after getting stuck on one of the obstacles he came and carried us back one at a time and it’s not easy at all! He was patient and very nice to us all the way and while my 9 year old was scared out of her mind crying he made sure to make her feel as comfortable as possible and I appreciated that so much! So would I recommend? Absolutely yes 10/10

We've been to the Adventure Park at Storrs three times and each time has been a blast! The courses are thrilling and accessible for all skill levels. Each increasing difficulty level forces you to challenge yourself to get outside of your comfort zone. You will be amazed at what you are capable of. The staff here is great! On this last visit my son and I challenged ourselves on a harder course and found that one element simply required longer legs than my son had to get across. When we called out "STAFF!!" Jason came to our aid super quick. He gave us the option to lower my son down or pull him across a nearby cable to a subsequent element. We opted to have him pulled across. Jason warned us that the next one was tricky and stayed with us until we got across it to make sure we didn't need more assistance. He was very kind and answered all of my son's questions about the course showing his passion and dedication. We love this place and will definitely be visiting again.

This place was a blast! So much more than just ziplining. Instructions seemed tough at first but my 7 year old was a pro handling the equipment after completing the first course. And the courses are challenging, not just a walk in the park. These courses were a blast and will test the limits of everyone in your group, and probably will most likely show your breaking point!

Spent the day with our summer camp. The kids were middles school ages and they had an absolute blast. The adults had a great time as well! The Adventure Park staff was excellent. They were attentive and alert to everything going on on the course. It was well organized, informative and safety first. Can't post kid photos due to age of the students but we have many smiling climbers.

What a great experience! I'm afraid of heights, but wanted to do this with my husband. The staff were all friendly and supportive. Best date day ever! Neither of us had any experience and I was initially worried because I have terrible arm strength. We were able to easily do the 3 green courses. Then we were feeling daring and tried the harder of the two blues (Witch Hazel). It definitely is what I needed to push myself physically and mentally. There were moments I wanted to give up, but persevered until the end! My husband, of course made it look easy. It's the day after and we're both feeling some sore muscles. Can't wait to go back again.

The more we go, the more confident we become! My son had his "summer" birthday party here yesterday and we just love the park and the courses. The whole experience was fabulous and fun. We all want to give Luis a super shout out, he was the star of the day and for our climbing party! Climbing courses are all about finding your edge and your limits and for our crew of kids, this was a full day of that. Luis was kind, encouraging, and super supportive when a couple of our kids hit their limits. He climbed right up there and offered words of encouragement and emotional support - he was even there to guide our kids across an element when they became physically stuck, more than once. We felt totally safe with Luis and could see he was a master of the elements and totally awesome with kids. We can't thank him enough, we so appreciate his kindness and his expertise and feel really grateful that he was working the same day as our visit. We can't wait to come back!
Vast resort featuring 2 casinos & an 18-hole golf course, plus 2 spas & multiple dining options.
We loved it. The kids had a great time at the little daycare area they had. I didn't even want to leave them in daycare, I wanted to go back there and play with them since it looked so cool! Staff said it was strictly kids only, so we paid for an hour just so they could go check it out. Shops are expensive as far as food and drinks, but that's to be expected. The little candy store was nice and had some hard to find old fashion candies. Arcade was reasonably priced considering how much arcades cost. We spent $75 between the 2 kids and they got to play a lot of games. I even convinced my husband to gamble a little bit. We'd love to go back and stay in the Mohegan sun hotel next time.

This is my favorite place on the East Coast to gamble. I live in New Jersey and I do not like going to Atlantic City. The only thing I can say about the drive even though it’s supposed to be 2 1/2 hours route 95 is horrible so it does take close to three to
3 1/2 hours. I would rather drive the extra time to go to Mohegan Sun than go to Atlantic City. the casino and the rooms are spotless from valet to luggage guys are great they’re fun the front desk people are so knowledgeable helpful. Great restaurants believe it or not. Our favorite place to go now is Frank Pepe‘s pizza? It’s terrific, we go to the Mexican restaurant sit at the bar and have our cocktails. The bar staff is terrific. Todd English is Tuscany is great we’ve been there several times and of course we always finish the night with our ice cream at Ben & Jerry’s. It has turned into a non-smoking casino for now, which is fine. If we spend a couple of days there, we will take a drive into Mystic to go to. The little store is the town Mystic Seaport even great restaurants there it’s 20 minutes away. It’s worth the trip. We never have a bad time at Mohegan Sun, and when we go up to that part of Connecticut.

I came here with my family. I love it here. It is a very very large hotel. It is kid friendly, they have an arcade and a baby sitting area if you’d like to drop your kid off. There are many many food options such as fast food and fine dining. The rooms were up to par and cleaned nicely. It was a great experience and the Casino was very large and a variety of machines. The hotel comes with two beautiful pools. The nightly rates are good, you just need to find one that accommodates you the most. There are always events here and they’re cheap. I’d recommend coming here with your family!

This place is ridiculously large. Visited friends getting married here - the large suite made preparation for that easy.
Key card is required in order to even work the elevator, so its secure.
Parking garages easy to navigate into other areas of the casino, but valet parking is free even for guests at Sky Tower, should you desire to use it.
Prices were higher than I was willing to pay, even for the most basic rooms, so I stayed elsewhere, but all the employees I interacted with were very kind.

My husband and I came here from Philly to see a Tool concert in the arena. It was beautiful and super convenient. The hotel rooms were spacious and beautifully furnished. Beautiful view of the river from our windows. It was a short distance to the arena from our room and where the stores and restaurants are. We had fun at the casino, too, but I was really impressed with the architecture, art sculptures, waterfall, mosaic glass lights, mohageny arches, and sculptures. The Italian restaurant looked like an old world Catholic church, which added a classy, elegant, and creepy vibe. I loved everything about this place, and I can't wait to go back!

I've visited on weekend evenings for a concert and to celebrate a friend's birthday. Both times were a memorable and positive experience. The parking is free, although more exterior signage would have been helpful for parking. As far as the interior, this place has an absolutely thoughtful and breathtaking interior design. I could go on and on about how beautiful and clean it is here. Mohegan Sun is large, but both smaller and more adult-oriented than it's competitor, Foxwoods. I cannot speak to the casino and hotel rooms at this time but the food selection is great and there are a lot of late night options.

Drove to the Mohegan Sun on May 15, 2022 & November 21, 2022 mornings to hangout with friends to gamble. It was about a 3 hour drive. When arrived there was lots of parking space. The parking is free. The staff are very friendly and helpful with any questions, directions. The restrooms, casino, restaurants, shops, floors all very clean. There’s many machines, table games and sports betting. Lots of shopping stores and restaurants. The food at the restaurants are delicious and well prepared which makes you want more. I’ve not had the opportunity to go to the night entertainment for shows, club nights etc…. Will be looking forward to do so for future visits. Did not stay overnight will book a few nights for the future. Thank you Mohegan Sun for an excellent experience.

It's a great casino for those that go for the machines. There are an adequate number of table games and sports betting. Fanduel has a great space. Michael Jordan's restaurant and his sports bar are standout places to eat. Be prepared to spend $100 or more at the restaurant but the food is well prepared.
Good shopping and food choices. Getting from the parking lot to the hotel lobby isn't too bad. If you can catch a show while you're there, it'll make the experience that much better.
Of course, there's more opportunity for night entertainment if you go on a Friday or Saturday with shows, club nights and live bands in the various restaurants and spaces. Sunday through Thursday are slower but if you simply need a change of scenery or a moment to get away, it's worth it.
The indoor pool, hot tub and fitness room are well done. The spa is definitely worth a try. There aren't many choices for breakfast. The staff was very polite and helpful. Overall, 4.5.

Can't wait for the Kentucky Derby I've been having so much fun down there the past couple weeks the VIP lounge private tables and now we're going to be upstairs for the Kentucky Derby with a view of everyone can't wait. Love you Mohegan Sun

We stayed at the Sky tower and it was amazing! The whole lobby and place smelt like soap it was so clean. Very comfortable beds, waking up was difficult. The lobby is located right near some of the best restaurants and nothing is really too far. We had a gorgeous view of the water, I recommend being higher up if possible. A great way to spend my birthday weekend. Thank you!

This place truly had everything. A mini city with even the smallest details accounted for. What a great time. Everything there was of the best kind of quality food, attractions, dancing, the gambling was fierce the partying was never over. My wife and I went there for a day trip, not to gamble but just to see the place. The casino was as eye blindingly bright as you'd expect, and gambling was available everywhere as you can imagine. However, when considered as a mall, it was very attractive with some great architectural details that were over the top, but interesting.

Tough place to go and relax. Twenty minutes needs to lapse between drinks and they're exact about 20 minutes. So many rules to go with a group where we just want to have fun and have a great memory.

A great state park you must visit, sitting high above the Connecticut River this truly amazing stone castle is beautiful. when we recently stopped in for the first time (lifelong CT. resident), I couldn't believe what I missed all those years. great spot for pictures with the river and blue sky a background. on our visit characters were outside strolling on the porch engaging all those who came to visit their home. Me and my family have visited Gillette Castle and the park numerous times over our 8 yrs residing in Connecticut.
This castle has some Tiffany light fixtures and and wonderful stairs throughout. Some cool secret passages that Gillette had built inside to spy on his company, sneak away whenever he wanted, and hear what was being said without anyone knowing he was there.
During Christmas the foyer is and throughout the first floor full of Christmas tree and so many wonderful decorations. The property is kept in good condition and there is such good history here. It is a place to visit and you will be so glad you did.
Also during the holidays outside the castle at the cider house there is a fit pit lit for the evening and fresh made cider is made and handed out. Such a beautiful and wonderful experience.

I absolutely loved this place. It is a stunning destination to visit when you’re in Connecticut. There’s a beautiful overlook at the back of the castle that provides a scenic view.
If you’re looking for a spot to enjoy the fall foliage, this should definitely be on your list. The castle is open on weekends, but you’ll need a ticket for entry. Tickets tend to sell out quickly, so I highly recommend purchasing them in advance before your visit.

The tickets to get inside the castle were sold out on Saturday, which was a bummer. But nevertheless, it was still a great experience to view the castle from the outside. There seems to be much more than the castle as well, as trails and views of the water are available too. The structure of the castle itself is quite amazing and you can capture some awesome shots. The gift shop s very small, so you may not be able to find something that fits your fancy.
The Cider House was a great lil addition. The hot cider was delicious and the people were so knowledgeable about the castle grounds and things to do. I'd highly recommend you visit at any time of the year. But seeing it in the fall seems right as the ambiance and vibes match really well. I will definitely come back to visit the inside of the castle.

This was an excellent afternoon adventure! It helped that we had a perfect weather day with a nice breeze. But the train trip was just lovely with some very pretty views.. And then the boat trip was just wonderful. Nice and relaxing with good music and good stuff to look at.
We were a party of 5 with 2 teenagers visiting from out of state. The 2 teenagers acted too cool for this the entire time but they did actually enjoy it. They liked the snack bar on the boat the best. But us adults really enjoyed the weather and the scenery and the ride. I enjoyed hearing the history of both the train and the river.

Booking an Essex Steam Train & Riverboat tour is an easy add-on for a day exploring this area. It's really satisfying, while still leaving you time in your day to do other things. You don't need to be there ridiculously early, but plan accordingly. I actually went to the wrong starting location first and almost missed it because of that. If you don't see the large admissions building, you're in the wrong place. The train is fun, but goes through a lot of forest, so there isn't much to look at. The boat portion offers more satisfying views. Bring warm clothes so you can enjoy the open deck views. On my tour, we saw bald eagles, cormorants, an osprey nest and nice views of Gillette Castle splashed in autumn colors. Admission was very reasonable for this type of venue and books up fast when there's something special like holiday focused tours coming up.

I purchased 2 tickets for the dinner train to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and it was definitely one of the best birthday gifts I’ve ever thought of. This is a leisurely, luxury train ride that travels along the coast of the river. It was so nice, peaceful, and romantic that I think I’ll start coming back every year.
The food was just ok (Can’t expect much. It’s a train, not a 5 star restaurant). They served bread with butter, a small vegetable platter, a salad, an entree, a choice of two desserts and then coffee/tea service at the end. The dessert with tea were my personal favorite. Alcoholic drinks are also available but you have to pay separately, of course. They accept card for the drinks if you don’t have cash and you can tip on the card as well.
The scenery was lovely. The ride starts early enough that it’s still bright out and you get to see a clear view of the boats and the swamp. About halfway through, after the sun has set over the water, you start to head back and you can see everything at night as well. Unfortunately for us, we didn’t get a table next to the river so our view was obstructed by the group next to us but it was still nice.
Overall, it was a great time and I’d recommend it to anyone and everyone.

It was a nice ride. What made it more enjoyable was Peter who was our conductor. His smile was contagious and his desire to share his knowledge of steam engines was admirable. The day we went it was really hot, and it's not an air conditioned ride. But, overall a very memorable experience.

Beautiful place. They sold out quickly so buy your tickets when you decide to go. There was a wedding going on so my husband and I took a lot of pictures of the trains that were not in use. The ride is not rushed and this includes the boat.

What a great way to escape the fast paced world and go back in time.
Easy access from I95, plenty of parking on property and they stay on schedule so plan accordingly.
Their web site details the options for various experiences.
Some trips catering to families and others to adults.
My favorite is their Dinner Train.
There is a well stocked gift shop, clean bathrooms and a fairly tiny snack shop.
If you want to have a meal before or after your trip I’d suggest giving the Surfridge Brewing Co next door.
We opted for the very comfortable First Class Car where they will serve you signature cocktails, beer or wine. Well worth the upgrade with all window views from your verity comfortable swivel plush seat.

The kids had a blast! Walking up to the train was great all in itself. The steam/smoke coming out made for a great show. My son was amazed. The main house was warm and cozy. You can purchase coffee, snacks, wine, and beer. You can't bring alcohol on the train, but if you purchase/rent the D car, they serve drinks.

The Essex Steam Train and Riverboat offered a delightful experience. The scenic journey aboard the steam train combined with the riverboat cruise was both picturesque and relaxing. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, providing interesting insights throughout the trip. The historical charm of the steam train added a unique touch, and the riverboat cruise offered serene views. Overall, a well-organized and enjoyable excursion suitable for all ages. A lot of parking and beautiful worthy photos to take in the area

What a fun day trip, great for train and riverboat enthusiasts, as well as history buffs & nature lovers (we enjoyed bald eagles, nesting osprey, egret, and blue heron sightings) narrated with local historical information. You can do just the train, just the boat or the combo as we did. They have special events as well, circus under the stars on the Becky Thatcher riverboat, and dinner events on either the train or the riverboat… well worth it🇺🇸

Had a fun time on the old Steam Train and River Boat Ride. We went on a rainy day and enjoyed the trip anyway. On rainy days, the picture taking isn't so great but we enjoyed a relaxing day nonetheless. The train ride takes you to the Connecticut River where you'll climb on board the river boat for a fun ride up there river and back. We saw the Gillette Castle and several bald eagles. You'll board the train again and head back to the station. Great trip back to yesteryear.

Embarking on the Essex Clipper Dinner Train, we were welcomed into much more than a mere dining experience; it was a dive into the opulent embrace of the Golden Twenties. Despite the relentless downpour outside, which under typical conditions might have de-railed our spirits, the evening advanced splendidly on track, buoyed by an ambiance that echoed a Great Gatsby-esque dinner party. The warm welcome from the staff, who were not only friendly but also rich in knowledge, set the tone for the enchanting evening ahead. Right from the start, we were whisked back in time, with the meticulously restored Pullman car serving as a splendid venue for a memorable evening. Complemented by the vibrant tunes of swing and foxtrot, which captured the exuberance of the Roaring Twenties, and an exquisite selection of drinks, the stage was impeccably set for a culinary spectacle. The four-course meal that ensued was nothing short of spectacular, justifying every cent spent. The delicious fare and the carefully curated atmosphere ensured that our spirits remained high, completely unaffected by the gloom outside. This Dinner Train stands as a tribute to an era when glamour knew no bounds, proving that some experiences are indeed too captivating to be "stationary."

If you have not had this experience you are not living. An unbelievable glimpse back in time. Food-5 stars, service- 100 stars if that were an option. As you enter you will be awestruck, white linen table cloths with apps and your salad plated. The train car made me feel like I should have worn a 3 piece suit with a derby from the 1920’s. The only downside was the conductor constantly interrupting conversations and dinner with useless information. FYI he cut his grass twice a week this year. Unneeded which took away from the experience. But still 5 stars, we are booking again tonight and I would highly implore you to do the same. Hands down one of the coolest experiences I have had. Bravo to the staff, your level of service left nothing to be expected. Restaurants worldwide should be trained by you. Thanks for a great night out celebrating my mother in law’s 70th. I night I shall never forget.
