Great museum that brings what it was like to live through WWII to life for both the servicemen and women as well as those supporting the war effort. Family friendly, it is a great place to bring the kids where they can run around and explore without stressing about ‘what they are touching.’ Excellent gift shop, and making the whole thing work, they have an excellent staff of docents and team checking you in at the front. Definitely worth a visit.
Travis Wilkins — Google review
This is a true hidden gem!! What an amazing museum! Kept my 3 teenagers thoroughly engaged and interested which is no special feat! What made it even more special are the docents who have a wealth of knowledge and stories to tell from their own experiences. Such a great collection of stuff that showcases what life in America was like during WWII times. If you’re in the are, this is a museum you shouldn’t miss!
Joyce Bunten — Google review
Such a cool place for those interested in WW2. Even for those with less interest in the actual conflict, this museum contains lots of information on how life was during that time period outside of battle. It’s a well maintained building with a vast and diverse collection. You could spend an entire day here.
Daniel Kemp — Google review
Love this place. I gave it 4 stars because I do wish it had at least a few hands on things for the kids to do. But other then that we all enjoyed it. Staff was pleasant and knowledgeable. Building was well maintained and clean inside and out.
K M — Google review
Wonderful educational place to visit!staff were friendly as well. Lots of neat stuff to see - not just war memorabilia but what home life was like during the war effort. Very educational.
Samantha Duquette — Google review
Tremendous learning opportunities at this museum. Take a walk through time starting in 1939 and progressing through 1945. There are plenty of exhibits and lots of reading. We brought the grandchildren through and they enjoyed it. However, my wife and I will return to absorb more reading. We are "seniors" so many of the household scenes struck nostalgic chords.
Paul Klenk — Google review
The snoopy experience was amazing, the while the museum was phenomenal, very well displayed, and a lot of very cool overlooked historical stories and items. I highly recommend taking your time to read everything. Some of the real life story's about local heroes who went over seas brought me to tears. What an amazing and moving experience!
Kiralyne Vadasz — Google review
An excellent museum full of history. They do a great job showing life at home in addition to the soldiers’ experience abroad. Plan on 2 hours to get the most out of your visit.
Chris O’Donnell — Google review
I'm interested in history especially with having relatives who lived through and fought in WW2. Learning that there was an Anne Frank exhibit that is ending shortly, I had to visit! I learned about the Anne Frank exhibit while reading a free Lake's region free 📰 newspaper.
The main building 🏫 is in great shape. There are gardens and WW2 machines outside the building. A memorial with benches and flags is also outside. There are two levels to the building. An elevator 🛗 is available.
There is so much to see 🙈 and read. Not only is there war memorabilia, but, there is memorabilia from the time of WW2 showing life in the US. The internment of Japanese Americans has its own section and the history is posted inside and outside the building.
Tanks, motorcycles 🏍️, 🎵 Get your motor running, head out on the highway.. 🎵, oops 😬, sorry!, jeeps and even an airplane are on display. They are going to be removed briefly because they are having a "Festival of Christmas 🎄 Trees" at the beginning of November.
My first encounter with a mannequin caught me off guard. I thought it was a real person when I turned the corner and saw one.
Interactive displays are part of the exhibits. You can listen 👂 too and even see old broadcasts of news, music 🎶 and radio. Old Disney and Warner Bros cartoons were shown. Seeing Donald Duck saying "Heil Hitler" was creepy!
So much history was on display and so much to read, I was there longer than I expected. I learned so much! There was a man at the vehicle display who was very knowledgeable about the vehicles. I believe some of the employees might be volunteers.
The Anne Frank exhibit was moving and informative. A woman brought her kids and I think that was what made the exhibit more interesting. The kids reaction to learning about the Holocaust and the experience of what Anne Frank and her family went through made the tour more emotional.
Gift shop available. There is even a chapel.
I could go on and on! If you are interested in history, I recommend a visit!
This was my first visit to Wolfboro and I really liked visiting! Very scenic with the Fall foliage.
Stephen Priest — Google review
Wow! I was so very impressed! My mother-in-law and I decided to spend a rainy day visiting the museum. The exhibits exceeded our expectations. I was also completely blown away by the staff. They were truly wonderful. I had a great conversation with Bill. He provided excellent book suggestions. Connie was also lovely. She was very kind and knowledgeable. The staff made the visit even more enjoyable.
Luciana Rodrigues — Google review
Visited on a Sunday. The staff is very friendly. The gift shop has a lot of fun retro things.
Overall the museum was not what I expected. Instead of being exclusively world war II memorabilia it captures the mood and atmosphere of the United States during the world war II years. So instead of just a bunch of guns and tanks another weapons it is comprised of antiques from the time. They took the time to recreate scenes, like a soda shop, and filled those areas with relics from the time. For anyone interested in world war II or the history of that time period in American life this is an excellent place to visit.
Our whole group loved our dinner cruise. It was such a nice ride.
My recommendations for improvement: It was nice to have live music, but I don't think the set list had any music written after 1980. It would be more entertaining to offer music that younger groups could recognize.
The website offered too few details about the experience. I would have liked to know that the dinner was buffet style, started serving at the time of boarding, and that they had vegetarian options upon request.
Kathy B — Google review
The staff was super friendly, the buffet items were allergy free, and each level had ample seating to enjoy different views throughout the ride. I normally get extremely motion sick on boats, but between the dramamine and slow and steady pace, I had no symptoms. A fun date night for those who want to try something different than dinner and a movie.
Marlene Brown — Google review
Holiday weekend with gorgeous weather! Couldn't have asked for better. Breakfast/food was great with all the usual expectations Plus some more lunch options. Such as pasta, couscous, short ribs that were all very good. The cruise is very informative and relaxing. With a bar available on board. I will certainly be back!
Heather Mac — Google review
What a delight and such stunning views! The captain told is his love story and how he met his beautiful wife, on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee during a camp, 42 years ago, how precious!
He was very informative and a mind of information, having worked on the boat for over 40 years.
We were given free home made muffins and apples, coffee and hot chocolate on the journey of 2 hours!!!
Highly recommend this trip to anyone.
Definitely be back for dinner cruise.

I finally got to enjoy the sunset cruise and it was everything I had hoped for. My wife surprised me with the opportunity to enjoy the iconic vessel and I could not have been happier. Great food, service was wonderful and their atmosphere was fantastic. Go enjoy a cruise and food along one of the best places on earth. Living on lake time!

Awesome experience 👏 😎 🙌
Very organized. Informative trip. Boat has a lot of areas to relax and take in the beautiful sites!!! Friendly staff. Nice way to see the natural beauty of Lake Winnipesaukee

Took the dinner cruise on a Monday night in July. It was lovely. The boat was large, quiet and smooth sailing. The food was good: shrimp cocktail, baked fish, and BBQ pork. Plus had a full bar. It wasn't crowded, so we walked around after dinner. Ended up at the bow just as the sun was setting. It was awesome!!! I would highly recommend.
Ed W — Google review
Great way to spend 3 hours (although the last hour on the return trip felt like it dragged and we were seeing the same things in reverse. Something to note if you have young kids or bored teenagers!)
The brunch was pretty meat/carb heavy but delicious and even though the crew was short staffed they did an amazing job of getting everyone through the food line quickly and with smiles on their faces.
The views of the lake are beautiful especially on a clear day and the narration was just enough to learn some things about the area without being bombarded with information. There was also enough seating for everyone.
Jessica Frisco — Google review
The 2 1/2 hour cruise was very nice. The crew members were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed looking around at all The different buildings on land and the big House on the little island. The breakfast foods that you could purchase were very filling and really good.
Darryl Griffith — Google review
Beautiful ship. You can walk all over, up and down the decks. 2 hours and 45 mins cruise between Weirs Beach and Wolfeboro. You appreciate the beauty of Lake Winnepesaukee.
Deep Blue2 — Google review
My husband and I had a great time here. Absolutely incredible views, totally worth it. One of the best cruises I've ever taken. Also the food on the cruise was really good, usually on cruises like that food isn't very good. I loved it.
Svitlana Kostyk — Google review
The lake is beautiful. the boat is clean, spacious, and there are plenty of food choices on board. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They say it is narrated, but I would consider it sparsely narrated. You get to see some nice homes and mountains. I guess I would rather pay less for a shorter trip. Two and a half hours felt just a little too long. I would suggest the brunch or dinner cruise that would have more entertainment.
Melissa Knight — Google review
We had a wonderful time and the scenic views were breathtaking. The food was delicious especially the waffle. We were a family of four and will it be a family tradition to do this cruise again
Elizabeth Bucha — Google review
I went on the Sunset cruise and it's actually a pretty good price for everything you experience! Me and my husband went for an early anniversary. there was a buffet with a variety of delicious food, the employees on the boat were fantastic and friendly, there was delicious dessert which unfortunately I couldn't get pictures of, and the bar has a large variety of drinks ranging from beer-cocktails-soft drinks. We got "The Witches" cocktail and omg was it so full of flavor and the alcohol was mixed perfectly so it wasn't too strong with rum. The online tickets were simple and I paid $10 extra for me and my husband to have reserved seats on the outside deck because I wanted awesome seats so it came out to be $190 for both of us which is pretty good. I'll definitely be coming back again!! Thank you so much for the amazing night!
Sierra Carbaugh — Google review
This was the second time I visited here.. The first time was before pandemic and the railroad tour passed this. We took this mini cruise round trip tour from Weirs Beach to Wolfeboro. Each trip took 2 hours. It was very beautiful and the cruise was smooth. A good choice for kids and adults. The only thing you have to keep in mind: No outside food and beverage allowed and it's strictly applied. Better have something before boarding, or you might have to purchase on-board. This is really a good way to enjoy your visit on Lake Winnipesaukee if if you do not own a boat!!
Peng Hsu — Google review
This was cool. It was great seeing The Winn like that. And the food was absolutely delicious! The only issue I had was there's no smoking section, can't even vape on the ship. Not cool when you're stuck on there for 3 hours. Oh and there was only 1 bathroom for each gender and the woman's was absolutely ridiculous. Super tiny, to the point where once you're in the stall there is literally like 3 inches between the toilet and the door. I mean, really? I wouldn't do it again for that reason alone.
Funspot is a renowned destination for family fun, holding the title of the world's largest arcade. With over 600 games, including classic arcade favorites and kiddie rides, there's something for everyone. Additionally, visitors can enjoy indoor/outdoor mini-golf, cash bingo, and a bowling center with 20 lanes. This iconic spot offers an opportunity to relive childhood memories while creating new ones in a vibrant and entertaining atmosphere.
We had a blast. I loved the nostalgia, my kids had so much fun playing the games, and the food was good. Great customer service, too. It's a long drive for us, but we'll definitely go again!
Traci Charney — Google review
This arcade is absolutely incredible. Very affordable and you’re guaranteed to have an amazing time! Worth the trip without a doubt. So much to do and upstairs feels very nostalgic and retro. There’s 80s music playing as well. Which really helped to set the scene.
Austin Sullivan — Google review
We went when it was insanely busy...like busier than even the locals have seen. With that said, it was such an impressive collection of arcade games and other things to do. We ordered a large cheese pizza on the 1st floor and it was very good and my daughter had a blast going on the bumper cars and doing the claw games!
Elizabeth Funk — Google review
It is big!!
I have been in the area 2 years and avoided going thinking there would not be to much my 2 year old and 4 year old would like, but I was wrong.
There are so many cute rides and activities for kids to do. With just $20 kids had fun for hours and got to try everything they wanted.
Clara Gamboa de Levin — Google review
Amazing and euphoric place to say the least. I went in with low expectations, thinking I'll get ripped off, but enjoy seeing "The World's Largest Arcade Collection"...Yet I was completely blown away, and left smiling like a gleeful 11 year old. The modern games that provide ticket rewards payout well, and there's nothing like holding a heavy stack of tickets. If those don't do it for you, the upstairs collection of classic 80s games is an absolute dream. The other reviews really weren't exaggerating about how extensive it is. Even if 1 out of 15 machines is out of order and you lose a token....come on!!! The token conversion rate is so generous, it's not even worth chasing down a reimbursement, the other 14 out of 15 machines will make your day. The bowling alley ain't too shabby either
Arthur Hayden — Google review
Not really too sure where to begin with this review. Let's just say this. What an absolute awesome place to spend some time. Kids and adults alike, will have more than enough to keep them busy. The biggest arcade in the country in only the beginning. There is an endless amount. A vast sea if you would.. of classic video games and pinball machines. All in fantastic shape and great working order. You'll be hard pressed to think of a game that they do not have. They also have alot of newer games with the new technology, but the real gems are the old school games. In addition, there are tons and tons of little displays everywhere. Chronicles or video games. Stories. Pictures. History. Lots of little areas like this set up museum style if you would. Very very cool. There are also a couple places to grab some food. We checked out the tavern which was pretty good. Decent pub style food and great drinks. Very impressive beer list, the flight of 4 choices on tap was great. I had 9 to pick from I believe. Was really good. There is also a bowling alley here, areas for toddlers to explore and play, and a mini golf setup. That looked a little crammed. But everywhere else and everything else is spread out pretty well. The complex is mazzive. Even offering a cash bingo hall across the parkinglot. I'd also like to add in that the atmosphere is awesome. Especially up in the retro arcade. And the games are priced very fairly. With a token equaling a quater. All the older games I played were one token which was great. Pin ball machines were 2. And the newer and bigger games were 4. You can get 125 tokens for 20 dollars and make them last all day easily.
Peter P — Google review
I love Funspot, it feels like a special place that has everything an arcade could have. I especially like the old games and the American Classic Arcade Museum (ACAM). I last went on a Tuesday where it was very quiet but if you come on the weekends in the summer it gets very busy, so I would try and go in any of the off-peak times if you can.
The value you get is much better than the mainstream arcades like Dave and Busters (not to mention better games here too). It's 50 tokens for 10 dollars, which is 20 cents per token. You get a better value if you spend 20 dollars and get 110 tokens, which equals to about 18 cents per token.
10 dollars worth of tokens lasted me about two hours. Granted different games use different amounts of tokens. The games in ACAM take one token per play, as does skee-ball, classic pinball games take two tokens, new pinball games take three, and new non-pinball games take mostly between two and three tokens. I played mostly ACAM games so my tokens probably lasted longer than most, which I recommend as it's the best value and you get to play the most unique games in the arcade.
There were a few machines that didn't work when I put my token in and I had to get a worker to come fix it. The workers are very helpful but it is a shame that often times games will appear to be working but then not do anything when you put your token in, especially if the coin reject doesn't work. I know these are old games but it would be nice if there was a way to fix this problem.
There are enough games here to have you keep coming back for days and still not play anywhere near all of them. You might be surprised that they do not have some of the more mainstream arcade games, such as the basketball hoops game, which I am curious as to why they do not have. I've also heard that they have in recent years gotten rid of some of their old games in favor of freeing up space for their party room, which is understandable but unfortunate if they got rid of some of their old games, which I wish they had more of.
Their pizza and fries are very good too. I wish they had some lighter options like a salad but the food that they do have is very good.
I'm going to have to come back again as I want to play their indoor mini golf. I also knew they used to have Money Trunks but I saw that they have since gotten rid of it unfortunately.
Funspot is an amazing place that I highly recommend going to, it's great for people who are into games but also I think people who aren't typically into arcade games will have a blast too. Check out the photos I attached for some of their more unique things going on. I think you'll like it!
Jack Ross — Google review
We visited on a Tuesday in August. It was very busy, so it was very loud and hot. We still had a good time playing skee-ball, pinball, and old arcade games. They also had indoor mini-golf that we didn't get around to.
G R — Google review
Such a cool place to bring your family! Very nostalgic playing all the old arcade games and pinball machines. Highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area. I like that they've made some of it more like a museum.
Luke Carlson — Google review
This Place is Epic for anyone that loves Classic Games. This place is actual a Video Game Museum. I love that they still use tickets, kids love the feeling of gripping 5k of tickets.
Chris Kolacz — Google review
Funspot is so awesome and unique! Great place to take the family with lots to do with very reasonable pricing! I cashed in $20 and spent 4 hours playing the arcade games of my childhood and from video game history. Has hundreds of arcade cabinets and so many pinball tables. There's candlepin and 10 pin bowling there, a small pub for the adults, concessions, an indoor mini golf course and a bingo hall. Something for everyone with plenty of other activities to do in the surrounding towns
Ethan Iwanicki — Google review
We went just for the American Classic Arcade Museum, the world record holder for the largest arcade in the world, at least in 2016 - fantastic. Reasonable prices and an amazing variety. It would have been nice to have seen some machines newer than ‘87, and still old, but the ones they had were good nostalgia and were even very playable!
Gavin Ayling — Google review
Lots of fun here with my kids! Even had a birthday party for my kids upstairs. Good staff, decent food and lots & lots of games
Dave Jean — Google review
Funspot is such a fun place to be! You can play many games and it isn't always so crowded. Me and my family always head over for some fun! The people working there are nice. They have a lot of old games on the third floor that my dad used to play. Sometimes I had up and use some coins.
They also have a bowling place that seems nice. I don't go bowling there but it's still clean and nice.
The pizza is so GOOD. We eat their pizza everytime we go there. The other food are good too, but we get the pizza the most.
Madelyn Tiernan — Google review
Blast from the past 🩵 adults can play, kids have fun… they have good ol’ tickets versus game cards! Recommend on a weekday with less people
Eden Riley — Google review
It's like stepping back into a time machine! The classic arcade museum section has an amazing collection of games from the 70s and up! Myself and a group of guys spent two days trying to play as many of them as we could. The whole facility is very family friendly and has a ton to do! Play pinballs, arcade games, bowling, air hockey and more!
Troy Gibbs — Google review
It's a huge arcade building! 3 floor of fun!
It also has a very cheap bowling zone with several lines. It has also a golfito court.
It has a museum of old arcades with machines that still work and you can play on it. I could play Mario Bross, the first edition ❤️
It's a lot cheaper than in Boston. With 20$, you'll receive 110 coins! and some machines and games only uses one coin (the oldest ones do ❤️) We spent hours with the kids there and still had a lot of coins because we bought 20$ to each one of them (3). So we, the adults, also played a lot using kids' coins.
It was a lot of fun!

Plenty of things to do. Bowling, indoor mini-golf, and of course video games from all decades. Surprisingly inexpensive as well.

Amazing collection of all types of arcade games. There are thousands of games here. Most of them seem to be working although the older ones seem to be well work and often. It functioning properly. There is something for everyone. Everything is spread out over 3 different floors so explore. There are ticket games as well to earn prizes including ski ball! I didn’t see any staff and the place is well worn.
19th-century Shaker community with period buildings, tours, demonstrations & a gift shop.
A wonderful place to take in an unique and fascinating part of our country's freedom of religion and way of life. Different tours capture various aspects of the Shaker lifestyle. We chose the outside tour of the buildings and grounds. Although self guided entry to the grounds are free tours start at $20. But you are helping keep this part of history available to future generations.
Pete Zielinski — Google review
If you enjoy history, you will enjoy this tour. It’s like stepping back in time. Our guide Joanne did a fantastic job describing what life was like for the Shakers. I would highly recommend
Steven Mahoney — Google review
It was nice. The museum was nice upstairs. Shaker made furniture. The village was as it was where they used it. The nobody lives there anymore. There are guided tours available to learn about the Shakers and walk the site. It was a nice detour from driving straight through to our next destination. It was worth it.
Bob Morris — Google review
We didn't check times beforehand, so we missed the last tour of the day, but the staff was really helpful, and materials were great for self-guided walking tour. Grounds are gorgeous! The gardens can't be missed! Easy to see why these folks chose this spot. Will definitely return.
K C — Google review
This is a really beautiful spot! They have all sorts of lovely items in the gift shop, and the buildings are so exquisitely designed. See if you can catch a tour if possible, so that you can see all of the interiors. I would love to go back and learn even more about the Shakers. There is just so much beauty and history there.
Kevin Medansky — Google review
Oh boy was this different from reasonable expectations! This is NOT a nationally owned property with knowledgeable National Park Rangers providing tours! That's surprising since it's touted as a historic property, first of all. Our tour guide was slow to speak, and kept interjecting for his own entertainment pointless information, while we all stood outside in the sun being bitten by insects, to start with. It took nearly an hour to even have the opportunity to enter one of the buildings, and I should mention that he made a point of asking if anyone in the group was especially knowledgeable about Shakers and Shaker communities and then admitted he asked this because of the possibility of inconsistency of facts or information. What?! I cannot be sure of this was another of his ridiculous way of entertaining himself, or whether I should take everything he said with a grain of salt then.
There are trustees who take care of this property and this might be a "for profit" business. Regardless it's not an informative and insightful day-out for those looking to learn something and get a little insight into another way of life.
However, I CAN recommend taking the Robert Frost house tour since those tours are given by knowledgeable National Park Rangers, as well as taking the Mt Kearsarge Indian Museum tour.
By giving this review I'm simply trying to help those looking for something interesting to do, to avoid wasting their time and money. The gift shop was nice, but best of luck for those willing to take a chance on visiting this place and taking a tour.

We visited in winter so everything was shut down, but the grounds are still open to walk around. They don’t really shovel the paths so snow boots are recommended. The village itself is beautiful and serene, especially when you are the only ones there. We will definitely be back in the summer to visit the museum and gift shop.
Per Sveen — Google review
Our tour guide Bill was funny and very knowledgeable. I learned so much about the Shakers. He was pleasing to listen to and didn't just talk at us. He was interactive and a great teacher. It is a beautiful village, and I hope to visit again someday to hike the property and take one of their other tours when the weather is warmer. They had free hot chocolate in the gift shop, which was perfect on such a cold day, and after the tour, he gave us little soaps.
Linda A — Google review
At the museum entrance and gift shop you can buy tickets for a guided tour of the site. The folks there said the tour takes 1.5 to 2 hours. It’s the only way to see inside the buildings (you need to have a guide with you). Unfortunately, we didn’t have that much time. We got a map of the grounds and wandered around (free of charge, donations welcome) with the little bit of time we had. We’ll be back in the future for the actual tour.
Ed Van Cise — Google review
You can walk the grounds and picnic there for free or you can take one of the guided tours available. We just walked around at our own pace. It was was old and quaint. It was like stepping back in time as we observed the old buildings and their purposes. It was cool to see some of the items they used to print with and cook with. We also saw some of their kitchen and laundry appliances. The gardens were very impressive as well.

Highly interesting historical place to visit really enjoyed the time we spent there. Must see if in the area. Free to walk around and they do have guided tours

This place is a must visit if you're into architecture and/or cultural history. The Shakers were a fascinating people and I look forward to reading more about them. It's free to roam around outside and be sure to pop in the admissions center to watch their free 9 minute video which is a very well done overview of the Shakers. My next visit I hope to do the 1pm tour which let's you look at the interiors of the buildings.

This place is wonderful! The grounds are beautiful, and we had a nice, sunny day to enjoy them. You can meander around the grounds and look in some of the buildings. There is also a guided tour. Our tour guide, Gail, was very informative and well versed on the Shaker people, their way of life and on the buildings. This tour is well worth going through. We learned so much!
Atlantic Ocean swim area with day-rate & metered parking, bathhouses, an RV park & event facilities.
This is a good beach for locals or vacationers as it's usually well kept. There's an assortment of shoppes open in the summer and enough activities to spend the day here. The beach is beautiful in winter, the sunrises are just as stunning in February as they are in July. Worth a visit if you're in the area, but there are definitely better areas 20-30 minutes away in Maine.
If you happen to be visiting between May-August the center of sea creatures in worth a visit. Located on the beach, it's a small building with a one-way walking loop inside. There are touch tanks and more information than most can digest in a single visit. The staff are very passionate about their studies as most are undergrads working for the summer.
The beach shoppes are what you'd find at pretty much every other recognized beach / pier area. Toys and summer clothes are available for a higher cost.
If you're 21+ Bernie's Beach Bar is a great place to spend a (probably drunken) evening and night. They have a live showing venue on the second floor with a few mini bars, then a connecting deck with a full bar. We came July 2022 to see Lil Jon and some local artists perform. Not a good place to bring a 'pack of smokes' though, they do a decent search at the door and got mine from the inner seam of my wallet. Oops!

Very nice beach...great wave action and on particularly good days is popular with surfers! Almost like two beaches actually-- sandy and great for swimming to the south, and rocky and made for exploring to the north. Sidenote: very, very popular for walking dogs...I like dogs as much as the next person though like happens so many place they get a bad rep b/c of inconsiderate owners who don't pick-up after them.

Visiting this park in the off season is a very pleasant experience. There are no parking fees. Dogs are welcome on the enormous sandy beach. Two of the three restrooms are open. The size of the playground is so large, and the equipment is so colorful, that if I were a child, I'd consider it an amusement park .

A great beach in the summer!
Activities, concerts, great seafood, bustling boardwalk!
I particularly enjoy the off season.... The horses are able to walk along the ocean
You can also walk your dog on the beach.
The tides are also higher this time of year.
Love being able to spend time at Hampton Beach...any time of the year!

Hampton Beach State Park is a fantastic coastal destination. The beach itself is expansive and clean, with soft sands and picturesque views of the ocean. The park offers ample amenities, including clean restrooms and outdoor showers to rinse off the saltwater. The well-maintained boardwalk is lined with shops, eateries, and entertainment options, creating a lively atmosphere. Lifeguards provide an added sense of safety, making it a family-friendly spot. Whether you're into sunbathing, swimming, or simply strolling along the shore, Hampton Beach State Park offers a wonderful beach experience for visitors of all ages.

Massachusetts Senior Skip night was handled very well by the Hampton Beach and surrounding area police departments. We grew up coming to Hampton Beach from Maine, and the kids involved were vile and disrespectful. Thank you Hampton, please stay safe. We will continue to help support your town and townspeople. Massachusetts, I am sure you taught your children better, and I am sad these are the times we are living in. I do realize the kids have been locked up with Covid for more than 2 years and have a lot of steam to blow off.

Beautiful beach in the New England area, in New Hampshire. Never expected to see such nice sands and water in the North but the place is amazing. These pics were taken on the 4th of July so expect a lot of people during bank holidays, other than those, it should be super nice.

Scenic beach in the New England area. The cities of Concord and Manchester are nearby. This is a perfect summer destination to add to a New England itinerary, especially headed north to Maine. My itinerary started in Boston and ended in Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Maine. The Atlantic waters are cold even in the summer. The sunrise is something to behold. On the weekends and holidays, try to get here early for parking opportunities. If headed upstate New Hampshire the white mountains are a must see especially in the fall with the changing leaves.

Hampton Beach is a classic New England seaside gem. The long stretch of sandy shoreline and the vibrant boardwalk offer something for everyone.
The beach itself is clean and well-maintained, perfect for sunbathing, swimming, or taking a leisurely stroll along the water's edge. The views of the Atlantic Ocean are simply breathtaking, especially during sunrise or sunset.
The lively boardwalk is packed with restaurants, shops, and amusements, providing endless entertainment options. Whether you're craving seafood, ice cream, or souvenir shopping, you'll find it all here.
Hampton Beach has a fantastic, family-friendly atmosphere, making it a wonderful destination for a day trip or a longer beach vacation. The combination of natural beauty and fun activities makes it a must-visit spot on the New England coast

I love coming out here every year and seeing the sand sculpting contest, the art work in them is insane! There is also some really good food and cute little shops to check out also! A little pricey but that's to be expected with the beach right there and everything else. Love also going to the deep sea fishing trip right up the road from here also! Absolutely amazing experience!

This beach is so beautiful and love to visit. We had a family gathering and we all found the staff was very rude to each of us entering, shouldn’t have staff members working with people if they can’t be happy and welcoming. We are all guests and should be welcomed with kindness. We are NH residents and very disappointed in our states choice of staff.

Love coming here. We came during the end of hurricane Lee because we're nuts lol Most of the stores and restaurants were closed but we kind of expected that. My husband and I ate at the Sea Ketch. Delicious! and we got to watch the beautiful scenery 😁
Crane Beach is a scenic conservation site situated on the southeast coast, boasting pink sand, dunes, and a pine forest. It derives its name from the crane bird. Visitors can engage in various activities such as kayaking tours and hiking on nearby islands while enjoying picturesque views of the Atlantic Ocean and Essex bay. The beach is considered one of the most beautiful in the state with well-maintained dune trails providing breathtaking scenery for nature enthusiasts to explore.
Certainly one of the most beautiful beaches in the state…would highly recommend checking out the gorgeous dune trails which provide breathtaking views of the Atlantic as well as Essex bay

It is one of the best beaches in New England. I have come here a few times with my family already, and we always have a great time. The water was a bit chilly today, but the views are picturesque, and the sand is perfect for making sandcastles.

I grew up on cranes. Best beach ever! Has improved a lot since I was young. School District "Cranes Day" celebration every year was a blast, unforgettable. Had our Jr. Prom at the castle, and partied for the night in the dunes. Parking was free to residents and partied many weekends in the parking lot. The sand is great. Walking the waters edge all around to alcoholics cove and back to the castle area. I am blessed to grow up there. However, change happens, and freedoms diminish with excessive population. It's not the same comfort zone. However, if you grew up here, and you keep in touch with good friends, it's always enjoyable revisiting Ipswich. I now live in the White Mountains with 5.2 acres and love my privacy, but I always return to visit special friends and relatives.

We had lots of fun with the CraneOutdoors kayak tour from the Crane beach. We were on the water for about 2.5 hours and then hiked on one of the islands. The sunset tour was truly beautiful. A big shoutout to Stan, Ric and Ken, our tour guides. They are so knowledgeable and fun to kayak with. I’d come back for other activities.

First time the other day. Heat wave all week and the water was about 62 (tolerable but not for too long).
$40 for parking is quite expensive. I think $20 would be fair and maybe $30 for non-MA residents.
Beach was mainly clean. It was about 96 out and got a blister on my toe from the hot sand. Gentle waves, so great to relax in. Very clean bathrooms, and a shower/foot wash area.
Has a food bar/truck but I brought my own food. Saw a fish in the water the length of my arm. Found a sea snail the size of my fist. Many seagulls (one pooped in front of me in the water). Horrible green headed horse flies. Had one in the morning when I got there (wouldn’t let me be), and came across a few more walking down the shoreline.
If the parking wasn’t so expensive (and was a little closer to home), I’d come here again.
Got there around 8 when the place just opened up (on a Friday), and no car line. I think the lot fills up by 11 or noon.

Crane beach is one of the largest coastal conservation areas in the area and is certainly a jewel of the entire north east. There is an extensive trail system throughout the peninsula, beach dunes and pine forests that are well worth exploring. Do stay on the trails however, as the vegetation regeneration is extremely sensitive to foot traffic.

The Crane Beach estate stretches for ~5mi of soft sand beach length with some short trails through the inland sand dunes. Walking through these is a pleasurable experience. There is an entry fee of ~$40 without a membership so be prepared to pay at the parking entrance.

The beach is absolutely beautiful! I am from out of state and did not realize that it would be closed and you can't go to watch the sunrise, so that was a bummer. But we went back later in the day and paid $10 to visit. It was absolutely worth the $10. I absolutely love that they keep the dunes safe for wildlife. So many shells to collect as well.

Very clean beach and several dune trails. We went on a short dune trail to go birdwatching. Some nice waves, but not too big. Beach makes an effort to conserve grasses and areas for birds to nest. Changing rooms and rest rooms available. Discounted parking rate if you got after 4 PM.

Super expensive parking but if you can come with friends it is so so worth it! Tip- they drop the tickets every Thursday which is nice that it doesn’t sell out in may for the summer! This beach is super clean and super beautiful, the water was not filled with seaweed and was just delightful to be in (of course it was cold). There's also tide pools on one end and you can see two currents clashing together it's pretty cool. Definitely recommend this place! Also their bathrooms are so nice - like spa nice considering it’s a beach - though be warned it’s not sewage like with a flush, basically just a pit.
The Currier Museum of Art boasts an extensive collection of both European and American art, ranging from the works of Monet to O'Keeffe. The museum also features a wide selection of decorative pieces in its expansive space. Visitors can expect to see a variety of modern and contemporary art alongside American crafts, including several paintings from the Hudson Valley school. Notable highlights include pieces by Picasso and Van Gogh, making it a highly recommended destination for art enthusiasts.
Relaxing. Quiet. Enjoyable. Interesting. Thesaurus. Words. Oops 😬!
A mixture of modern and what would be considered classic art from mainly Europe 🌍 and the US, including sculptures and furniture available for close up viewing. A few of the pieces, such as the Van Gogh, have a rope in front with a motion detector, but you can get up close to study the pieces. There are benches and a few chairs to sit and observe the 🎨 paintings.
I had a brief tour with one guide and learned of the history of the museum.
I learned of a free admission Saturday that happens each month from the Hippo 🦛 Press newspaper 📰.
There is a small Andy Warhol exhibit which is mostly videos he took of people looking into the camera for several minutes. Celebrities such as Bob Dylan and Lou Reed are shown. This exhibit had been at the museum 🖼️ for about 10 years.
There is a restaurant/cafe available. Elevator for the disabled. Gift shop as well.
If you enjoy art 🎨, check it out!

We didn't actually tour the museum exhibits, though our tickets allowed us entry. We were there to go on a tour of the two Frank Lloyd Wright designed homes which the museum owns. I highly recommend this tour to folks who may be interested.

We spent some time experiencing the museum's collections and had lunch at the Café (delicious!) before our main purpose of being there, which was touring the 2 Frank Lloyd Wright designed homes the museum owns. The home tours were fantastic, with very knowledgeable and personable docents.

Went here in high school and had to come back when I visited my home state. Beautiful art and exhibits. I was asked to keep my backpack at my side, very politely, not like you'd wear a backpack. But the option of putting my backpack away or in a locker was largely stressed. Even after I mentioned I needed my bag because I carried necessary emergency meds in it. Then was constantly followed and watched by the same 3 people. Even the initial person who told me to keep it at my side and was pressing about putting my bag away said "the Lourve let's people use backpacks like that but not us haha" other than that great art work and informational pieces with them. Still would recommend but I guess maybe bring a purse and not backpack if you have to carry emergency meds like me?

I thought this was a Currier and Ives museum... it is a nice collection of art, has a fairly steep $20 admission... I saw several great pieces of art, but no Currier and Ives pieces. They do manage 2 Frank Lloyd Wright homes, but tours aren't offered that frequently but you can drive by and appreciate the exteriors.

This is a beautiful gem of an art museum. Well worth the trip if you are an art-fan in Manchester, or New England in general. I saw several pieces I could identify as being famous.
The entrance fee is reasonable, and I would recommend the Currier for a day trip. It is on the smaller side. A complete walkthrough of the museum took approximately 2 hours. Museum curators are working hard to be appealing to many different audiences.

Expansive, kid-friendly theme park featuring roller coasters, water rides, carnival games & shows.
Well put together park. The rides are fun. From the point of view of an extreme coaster enthusiast, these guys have done a great job considering the height restrictions imposed onto the park for rides. Yankee Cannonball is comfortable and fun. UNTAMED is short, but action packed. The park has an excellent, above and beyond; selection of rides for the little ones. My daughter was 4 and had an absolute blast.

My first visit to Canobie was during Screeemfest! Parking is easy & free - if you arrive slightly early you'll be parked pretty close to the entrance. During the first hour of opening, the lines for rides weren't too bad. Towards the end of the night, you had to wait in lines that were at least 30 minutes long. Some lines for rides like The Yankee Cannonball were 45 minutes plus. Even though we didn't get to do as many rides as we were hoping, we had an awesome time & there was so much to see. At dusk, the views over the lake are incredible. We were blessed with an incredible sunset. Lots of spooky decor around the park - we really enjoyed walking around taking it all in. The lines for the haunted houses were crazy so we chose to skip it. I was surprised by the food & drink prices. They are reasonable compared to most parks. A cocktail with a souvenir beaker was under $20 ($15 if I remember correctly), turkey leg was $13, & huge loaded baked potatoes were $9. We were all very satisfied with the food - it was filling & delicious. We had a great time at Canobie & can't wait to return!

A very nice family amusement park that has rides for everyone in the family. To small kiddie rides for the children, to family friendly rides and all the way up to thrill rides, this place has a nice mix. It also has a small water park included with admission in the summer (although gets very packed on hot days) and water rides, plus some shows/other entertainments. Their Halloween event is always a blast with haunted houses too.

The owner of my workplace was generous to treat us to a picnic and day at Canobie! We had a great time.
I have been coming here since I was young. It’s very clean, and not too big. They have a water park, but that was way too crowded for us, sadly. That’s ok though, because we were able to cool off on the flume ride and the Boston Tea Party. They have plenty of benches to sit down and of course the people watching is always entertaining. I’m not good with rides, but my husband had a good time! My son is autistic, and we weren’t sure how well he would do. He tried the skateboard ride, but it was a little too intense for him. There are a lot of options for calmer activities. The food choices were pretty much standard to any amusement park. I was very happy to find a place for alcohol. There aren’t a ton of options, but they have beer located outside the Boston Tea Party ride in a cool looking old style pub, and inside the water park. They also offer AC inside some of the arcades, which was definitely needed as it was very hot that day. I had a great day, and slept like a rock that night!

One of my favorite dates to date. Downside were the long lines. We did ScreamFest and purchased the express passes. $25 to knock out 5 haunted houses in an hr. Worth it considering the lines were so long others were likely waiting the hour to 30 min each. We went on 3 rides had dinner walked around watched the freak show for a bit and then went through the haunted houses. Definitely cannot wait to take the kids. One of the coolest things though, these parks have a fast lane for disabled individuals. Make sure you check with customer service!! If you have someone who physically or mentally cannot wait in lines but enjoy the rides they can get in pretty quickly. Just make sure the attendant sees you. ❤️❤️

This place is great for kids. The lines are usually very long for the adult rides so if you go you should make a day of it to get the most in (if that's your thing). The other attractions are fun and plenty.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Canobie Lake Park Theme Park with my family, and it was an experience we'll cherish for a long time. The park catered to all ages, from toddlers to teens, and even adults, ensuring that everyone had a fantastic time.
The variety of rides was impressive, with something for everyone. The little ones were thrilled with the toddler-friendly attractions, while the older kids and adults enjoyed the more adrenaline-pumping rides.
One of the highlights of our visit was the flexibility to bring our own food and water, especially for the kids. This is a thoughtful provision that not many places offer. However, if you happen to forget, there's no need to worry. The park offers a wide array of dining options, ranging from vegetarian to non-vegetarian dishes. And for those who fancy a drink, they even serve beer to lift your spirits!
I highly recommend planning your visit on Fridays or Saturdays. The park hosts a spectacular fireworks display and dance party after closing hours, adding an extra layer of fun to your visit. You can check the schedule on their website to plan your day accordingly.
In conclusion, our visit to Canobie Lake Park Theme Park was one of our best family outings. It's a place that truly offers something for everyone, making it a perfect destination for family fun. We can't wait to go back!

One thing both my wife and I noticed, the lifeguards were extremely attentive, very active and moving around, constantly scanning the pool. They had a lot of staff, and all we encountered were friendly and helpful. The value for the price of admission was incredible. The park and the bathrooms were very clean and well kept. Canobie Lake Park in Salem, New Hampshire holds a special place in my heart. Having visited as a child, I'm delighted to see that it has maintained its charm and beauty throughout the years. The park's impeccable upkeep is evident in the well-kept flowers that grace its walkways, creating a delightful atmosphere.
Now, as an adult living out of state, I cherish the opportunity to bring my children, aged 8 and 10, to Canobie Lake Park, allowing them to create their own cherished memories. The park's waterpark is a huge hit during the summer months, providing a perfect escape from the heat.
However, with the availability of season passes, I've noticed that the park can become quite crowded at times. The long lines near the entrance during exit times, especially for simple treats like apples, popcorn, and cotton candy, can be a bit frustrating. I personally experienced a wait of over 30 minutes. Despite this minor inconvenience, the overall experience and the joy it brings to my family are well worth it. Canobie Lake Park remains a treasured destination for both nostalgia and creating new memories with loved ones.

I have gone to canobie lake park since I was a kid, so over 15 years at this point. I have never done before Screamfest and my friend didn’t warn me you can only buy tickets online. So I arrived and noticed the ticket booths were closed and asked is there anyway to buy tickets in person and they said it’s online only. I do put 50% of the responsibility on my friend for not telling me this. But then 50% responsibility is on Canobie for two reasons. The first reason being this is a location with plenty of booth stations and you could easily have one open to address those who don’t buy online. The BIGGER reason though is this. THEY HAVE NO CELL SERVICE OR PUBLIC WIFI THERE. It is pretty crummy trying to break through the cell service to contact friends and to see if anyone has strong enough cell service to buy a ticket for me. If you are going to have mandatory online passes and you are very aware of your lack of cell service. You should invest in a couple of quality WiFi routers at the front gate so people can hop on it and purchase tickets OR if you don’t want to open a booth, invest in a digital station where you can go to a machine and purchase one.
Now for the second part of this experience I’ll be getting more into the screamfest experience. This experience comes with the caveat that I know staffing can be short some night and all that understandable stuff. I get that. However, nothing really felt that spooky. The walkers around the park had lack luster energy as well as in the haunts. The only one I felt had more energized haunters were the works in the location near Untamed. The other two felt pathetic. And not due to lack of ambience or visuals. The ambience and visuals were great. But the haunt near the tea party ride and near the mine ride were a bummer when it came to being actually scared. Because you can have the coolest visuals you want but when there are a lack of people or the people minimally engage it just ruins the experience. For instance when we went through the haunt by the tea party, I think we managed to walk through 6+ rooms before running into another worker. Then, the workers just hide in corners and barely move. Or just stare at you by a wall. Where is the getting up in your face? Where is the following a person for short periods of time? Making repetitive noises through yelling or banging objects? Again, some workers did do that, but for the 2 I was disappointed in, they really didn’t do a lot.
For the last part of the experience I will talk about the express pass. So, first of all you pay $50 to get in. Then, because we dealt with 40mins of trying to get me into to the place we were running short on time and they close at 11p, AND they obviously have long lines. Now we are thinking we will do the express pass. They have signs for it around the park but the signs don’t actually lead you to the direction of getting them because we tried 2 spots in the park and the people said no. Then we went to the front to guest services and they said go to the gift shop next store. We thought we would pay $25 cause it said that online. No, if you buy it at the shop it’s $30 and online it’s $25 if you match it with your ticket and add it on. Well, obviously with no cell service we couldn’t do that so we had to pay the $30. It was worth it in the sense that you get to the front quick. But again with my review of the actual haunts themselves, it doesn’t feel worth it to spend $80 for the lack luster experience.
All of this to say, I love Canobie lake park as an amusement park and for anyone trying to go there for rides whether it’s spooky season or not, it is a great time. Clean park, clean bathrooms. A lot of food options. I hope they put up more roller coasters cause one can only handle so many spinny ride options, which there are a lot there. And they took down the cork screw which was a roller coaster. But yah as an amusement park, I still love it as an adult. As a spooky place, definitely bummed.

This park is impeccably clean! I mean, spotless. Not even a stray bottle cap on the ground. The bathrooms are spotless. The cleanest amusement park I have ever been too. The lines to rides are long, but move fast. The staff, primarily teenagers/college students, are the sweetest most helpful people! With their energy, you can tell they love their job! I can't wait to go back in October!
Located in Salem, Massachusetts, the Turner-Ingersoll Mansion was built by sea captain John Turner in 1668 and inspired Nathaniel Hawthorne's 1851 novel, The House of the Seven Gables. The house is a well-preserved example of early seventeenth century New England architecture and features seven gabled roofs and classical facade.
Very nice tour of the house that inspired Hawthorne's book. The docent was knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was a bit expensive but the care they took keeping and restoring the facility was evident. Good for families and adults.

A must see stop if you're visiting historic Salem and want some great history of the colonial days. Absolutely beautifully restored homes from the famous novel and historic Salem. The tour is a must if you want to view the interior of the homes, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and had answers for every question we could think of. I really thought it was cool that we got to go up the hidden staircase was super neat and unexpected. Well worth the money for the tour (it's the only way you can view the interior of the homes anyways).

Our guide was outstanding, she showed us The House of Seven Gables and explained its history so well. Getting to see the original structure (atic) the secret staircase, the reasons for the rooms and ceiling heights as well as the grounds was quite an experience. The Hawthorne house was also quite impressive with how they moved it to the property to save it from being turned into a parking lot. Honestly well worth your time if you're in Salem.

Definitely a must go in Salem! Originally, I wasn't going to take the tour but because I don't read times places open, I found myself with some free time. I was not disappointed! I highly recommend the guided tour of the House of Seven Gables. There's a self-audio tour of the grounds, but as a fast reader, I opted to read versus waiting for the voiceover to finish.
This place is so cool and there's lots to see. The staff is informative and patiently answers all questions. Definitely recommended!

A fantastic building and some classic historical early settlers architecture. The entire house and gardens has been made into a museum exploring the history and people that lived there. There is a great link to the literary classic the house represents and there is also a great self guided audio tour that you can access through your mobile phone while exploring the gardens.

This was well laid out. The location had several historical buildings in the property, including the House of the Seven Gables and Nathaniel Hawthorne's birth home. You pay for a guided tour of the Seven Gables and then can go on self-guided tours of the others (one was not open when I was there) and the grounds. The tour guide was very informative. The grounds are beautiful. There is also a gift shop with several interesting things in it.

I love touring historical homes, and this one was fabulous. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and was very patient with those of us who really wanted to soak it in, especially with pictures. Everything about this historical home (and the grounds) was beautiful. This, along with The Daniel's House, made the trip to Salem worth it. Big Zero for the rest of Salem, which is just a big tourist trap, mainly for those interested in the occult.
I took a ton of pictures, but I've only attached a few. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here!!!

It's one of the historical houses of old times. It's over advertised, as most of the places in the US. Unfortunately, very little remains from the original home as it was restored and modified according to the novel. If you just walk by yourself, it won't be really interesting. Tickets will be more expensive with the guide, but it's really worth it. We had an amazing guide. It's like you are watching a fairytale. He is a very talented one. Tour takes around 30 min. As he said, the price of every ticket goes to support the newly arrived immigrants in Salem. Still recommended to see!

Simply breathtaking! House was amazing and the tour was informative, captivating, and entertaining. Tour guide did an amazing job presenting the info I really can't say enough to praise the experience. Also had an 8 year old who thoroughly enjoyed the place, including the scavenger hunt! Well done and stunning house and grounds!

Amazing tour of a historic building in Salem, MA. We didn't buy tickets ahead of time, so when we walked in and paid, we were given a time to return to the building for the tour. The tour is very affordable and is open year-round. We visited in September 2022 and had an excellent experience. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and painted a very realistic picture of the history of the building in regards to the local area. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

We had a great time visiting. A few places were closed understandably given the time of year. Our guide Rebecca was wonderful sharing tidbits from the ye house's history throughout.

My three friends and I thoroughly enjoyed coming here. Great history and plenty of photos to take. The gift shop was super cute. And the views of the garden/property and water views were beautiful when we were there on 10/09/2022. I'm so glad we had this on our list of places to visit on our 3 day trip. We came all the way from Pennsylvania and had been planning this trip for 2 year's and had to wait because of Covid. We're all hoping to come again next year as well. Thank you to everyone working here. Everyone was so friendly and nice.
I sure hope someone was okay, as we were leaving there was an ambulance, fire rescue and police there.

If you are a fan of history and Nathaniel Hawthorne, you will love this stop. The tour is a bit pricey, but if you are a fan of his work, you will enjoy every bit of this stop. Stroll the property, learn about the hidden stairwells and other surprises, and how the house grew to the House of the Seven Gables. We also learned how the house became a Settlement House. Again, if you love history or Nathaniel Hawthorne, this is worth it. If not, you may want to pass. I loved it!

I really enjoyed this tour! We paid extra to go inside and it was very informative. Lots of great information. Warning, there is a very tight stairway your tour may pass through, but they may take you an alternate route if you ask.

Interesting facts and tidbits about this historic house and it's colorful past. Built in 1668 on Salem Harbor and surviving many owners and several architectural modifications, this National Historic Landmark is truly magnificent. I simply love the architecture of precolonial and colonial America, and if you do as well, it is truly a must-see.

This is an American classic! A settlement of historical importance of what would become the United States of America, before consolidation of such. The grounds were very nicely kept and several exhibits were there to visit while waiting for the "guided tour". The woman who guided us through the exhibit was extremely well versed in early (pre "USA") America. Probably not enjoyable for the very young, or the very mobility impaired! We were there on an early April weekday, the very busy summer crowds will surely require Patience and things to entertain the youngsters.

Awesome piece of history. Took the guided tour so we can see the house and the grounds. Loved the architecture, and if those walls could talk I'm sure it would be interesting. Went with my wife and 2 kids (13&15) and we talked about it for hours. A must see.

Great historical visit. Lots of interesting details on the guided tour. Salem is very cute and it was nice to be there outside of the Halloween madness.

Interesting museum. You can choose to either tour the gardens only or the gardens plus the inside of the houses for different price points.
I visited during October in a weekday and had no issue getting tickets at the ticket booth. That being said, October is a crazy month in Salem and it’s recommended to buy tickets in advance if this is an attraction that really interests you

This was an amazing tour! My 11 and 12 year olds loved it too. There’s so much history and really cool things to see in this museum. Our tour guide, Louise, was great! Knowledgeable and nice-she led us through the house and kept the tour moving at a perfect pace. I never got bored and I never felt rushed. There is some really neat information! Everyone is friendly and nice and their gift shop is just perfect. Walking through Nathaniel Hawthorne’s house was pretty awesome too. Being an English teacher made this experience even better! I could see everything, in person, that I taught. If you need a tour, take this one!!! There are some surprises too!

Would definitely go back. This place is well preserved, and the tour was excellent, although we got a little lost between spot 1 and 2. We did the grounds tour and visited the Hawthorne House. It's beautiful and pristine. The views were amazing, and my children enjoyed the games in the counting house. The gardens are beautiful, and early evening is a great time to visit.

I visited Salem for Halloween. This was my first stop. The tour is approximately 45 minutes long and contains lots of history. The tour relays all aspects of the family and house's history. Our tour guide did a good job discussing some of the more sensitive/controversial portions.
You are lead through the house, which includes the original wings and the expansions. The tour includes low ceilings, stairs, and narrow stairwells. If you have issues with tight spaces there are a couple of rooms you may have to skip. The outside grounds and view of the harbor is beautiful. The tour was a good starting point for my evening in Salem.
The Salem Witch Museum is a popular destination for tourists who want to learn more about the infamous witch trials that took place in the town in 1692. The museum has large and lighted exhibits that illustrate the story of the trials, as well as modern witchcraft practices, after the events.
Well they were definitely sold out of tour but the outside of this house is so unique! From another tour I was on the house has changed over the years, including paint color, location, and the stained glass details. Still, really neat!

My family and I expected maybe a little more for such a famous museum but it was still a good experience and history. The presentation is different and definitely not boring (if you have good imagination that is).
Bought the tickets online only, it took about 3 to 5 minutes right at the entrance line.
Lost in the East Coast — Google review
From the seamless online ticketing process to the well-structured tour, everything was well organized and hassle-free.
The museum's setup is unique and interactive. Upon arrival, everyone gathers in the first room, where you're seated and immersed in a captivating 360-degree show about the history of Salem. The visuals and narration transport you back in time, allowing you to experience the events firsthand. It's a remarkable 10-minute journey that sets the stage for the rest of the tour.
After the show, the group is divided in half, with one group proceeding to the second part of the tour while the other explores the gift shop. I found this division to be a great way to manage the flow of visitors, ensuring everyone has a comfortable experience. The second part of the tour delves deeper into the Salem witch trials, providing additional insights and historical context. It was fascinating to learn about the individuals involved and the impact these events had on the community.
What impressed me most was how efficiently the entire experience was conducted. Despite covering a significant amount of information, the tour was completed in less than an hour, making it perfect for those with limited time. This concise format allows you to absorb the key aspects of Salem's history without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.
Regarding the gift shop, I found it to be decent, but I would recommend checking out the Witch City Mall for a wider selection of souvenirs and mementos. However, the museum's gift shop does offer a good range of items related to the Salem witch trials, ensuring you can take a piece of history home with you.

Buy tickets in advance to ensure you get to experience the show. In the first room, make sure you sit in the MIDDLE. If you can’t sit in the middle, the right side of the room would be the next best option. You have to rotate in your seat to see each diorama(wax figure displays). You go into two different rooms to listen to a recorded explanation of the origin of the witch trials. Half of the group moves to the second room and the other half has to wait 10-15 minutes in the gift shop. The gift shop is priced like most gift shops. Paid $32 for a t-shirt.
Adam Eaton — Google review
It was a cool visit, though I don't think I'd go again. I wouldn't say it's worth $17.50 a person. If you do go, sit on the stools as it's much easier to turn for the 360 show. Not a bad experience but definitely not a traditional museum or a very long visit, maybe 45 minutes total.
Katie K — Google review
A great top to cool off on a hot day and learn a little something. There are two rooms you go into. The first is a big open room that is dark and with seating to watch the presentation. Around the room and elevated are different scenes from the history of the witch trials. The second room talks about the history of witches.
graham forde — Google review
I know that everyone wants to visit the witch museum when visiting Salem, but honestly I don't think it is an experience worth paying for. The manikins look like they were made in 1692 and never updated. The audio sounds like something from a 60's B rated sci Fi flick and the story is something you could just get from a YouTube video for free. Just go sit in the common and watch any video online about a witch story from the time. Not to mention that the presentation is made so if you are sitting on one of the walls you won't be able to see the part that is highlighted during the story right above where you are seated. If you are seated in the center you can view the story that is highlighted on turns on a 360 rotation one at a time if you turn around as the room doesn't.
After the first room they take you in turns (meaning in 2 groups) to a smaller room to hear another audio tour. At least the sound on this one is a bit better. Again lots of outdated decorations and a wall full with things to read (the timeline of the story) but no time to read them as you are brought into the room to hear the audio tour and then told to move along to see other outdated decorations in the room.
Then at the end you are lead into the gift shop to buy stuff. So basically you pay to enter a store.
Having done it once, I would tell friends visiting me, that this is definitely not worth paying for. Maybe if it was free and you wanted to sit for a while, but you can't go in when you want to, so my recommendation is, skip it.

The Salem Witch Museum is a beautiful building. The actual tour is just OK compared to everything else offered in Salem Massachusetts. My teens enjoyed it, but were quickly done and ready to go on to the next thing. When sitting, be prepared to have to do a 360 turn. The round stools look easier than the benches were. When we visited tickets were only able to be purchased online with specific entry times.

The building was very cool and the staff was friendly. The museum wasn't what I expected or hoped for but I'm still glad I went. I wish there would have been more things to look at. The gift shop was nice.
Maddie Mayfield — Google review
Nice place to visit and learn what happened in during the Salem Witch trials. It's listed as an hour but really is closer to a 35 minute tour with voice overs and mannequins to explain what happened. It can feel rushed for the price a family will play and that was the only reason for the 4 vs 5 star rating.
Jon Testa — Google review
The museum is a tourist spot and is outdated. I feel the museum definitely needs to change something to keep customers returning. I'm surprised they don't offer any additional services such as walking tour or live action play. The gift shop has many awesome gifts. I don't regret going to the museum, but it's still the same thing from 15 years ago. I will not go back next year unless if they offer something different.

The building is neat. The idea is very fun! There isn't much to do!!!! The museum consists of 2 areas to view with audio information. Then, you go into the gift shop. I would love to have a little more to see.

I really enjoyed the presentation and tour at the Salem Witch Museum. I bought my ticket on line and was able to go right in. There was a small group of about 15 people. We were brought into a room with several attractions. There was plenty of room for us to sit and see everything. After, they bring you into another room and go over the history of witches. You are then let out in the gift shop. Perfect opportunity to purchase books, mugs, and shirts.

You definitely get an overview of what happened with some neat scenes in the main theater. Your tour starts in the main theater (you can sit anywhere and it's fine). Second, is another presentation in a smaller room from a guide which you can tour after the talk. Then you can browse the gift shop. They have a good selection in the gift shop. The museum is worth the visit. Very glad we went.

Was not worth the price we paid to get in. For my self husband and daughter it was $50. You were escorted into a large room that is dark, and there’s a story that plays that lights up each section of the story.
The mannequins you can tell they were old. If you aren’t sitting in the middle you won’t be able to see all of the light up sections. We were sitting on the side wall and ended up not being able to see the sections behind us.
My 7 year old daughter didn’t really care for it. After the first tour we were escorted into the gift shop while the tour that went in front of us is in the second part of the tour. So we had to wait into the gift shop until the other group left the one room. My daughter said the best part of the tour was the gift shop that she was able to get a spell book from.
It is not stroller accessible. You have to climb up 7 small steps. We had to carry the baby stroller up those steps, down another set of steps and back up another set. And not handicap accessible that I could see. I guess for not being there ever it’s a cool thing to do, but I won’t be a repeat customer. It’s something you do once and call it good.

Whether you’ve never been to Salem or have some knowledge of witch trial history, this should be your first stop. Susan the Manager was our guide during the off season of late April in our group of only 10 (4 of us). Yes, it is a tad campy and a tad dated, which is why I loved it. Great starter and “base” information for pre-or teens. I love that it is primarily a seated presentation, great for those disabled or those with mobility issues who can’t do a standing/walking tour. 5 stars! Keep in mind this isn’t CGI , nor should it be. Classic New England history presentation at its best!
The Peabody Essex Museum is one of the most famous and respected museums in the world, home to a vast collection of art from all around the world. The museum has rotating exhibits that span traditional and contemporary art, making it a must-see for anyone visiting Salem.
The exhibits were amazing to look at. So many different things to learn and see. Different exhibits on different floors was great. Was stopping at the museum on my way through town. Employees were super helpful. The man working in the gift shop was super awesome in picking out gifts for family and friends. The Salem exhibit was interesting to learn about what happened many many years ago.

We loved our afternoon at Peabody Essex Museum! We reserved tickets from our local library, and picked them up at the front desk. Very easy process. We ditched the map and just followed the twists and turns to see what was around the next corner. The Chinese House was stunning. A must visit! Definitely made our trip. We also loved the Native American wing and the Garden Atrium. Would definitely come back for a new exhibit!

This museum is awesome! You can easily spend an entire day here. The bats exhibit cleared up a lot of well known myths and shine a better light on these cute little critters. You’ll certainly gain a new appreciation for them.
The Yin Yu Tang exhibit is absolutely gorgeous. So much history and detail within those walls. It’s so amazing they were able to ship the whole house from China and still maintain its structural integrity.
There’s so much to see and enjoy!

Beautiful museum with a wide range of art and periods. The special exhibits are always interesting and unique, but there's also the on going exhibits displaying some classical pieces of art.
There's a story behind every piece of art and PEM makes a good job telling that story with the information plaques adjacent to each piece.
It is also in the heart of Salem so you can make a day trip out of it by visiting the museum and then exploring Salem.

What a beautiful museum. I was particularly fascinated by the Native American exhibits. What a beautiful variety of pieces throughout history to today that gives you a better understanding of the history of America that we weren’t told in schools. Highly recommended- if you like museums, I’d plan for 4-5 hours. They say two, but we didn’t get through half of it in two hours. The arrangement is a little confusing, but I think it’s likely because the museum has just been added onto for years. That said, the staff were helpful!

Great experience. The museum has a great variety in their collection. The kids enjoyed the fashion as well as the animal and nature rooms. Definitely go when you have time to wander as this can easily take 3-4 hours. We had lunch in their food court and the variety and quality were surprisingly good. Its hard sometimes when you have a couple of picky kids but we all found something good today.

Really lovely space- thoughtfully curated collections with something for everyone. The ground-floor collections are framed around themes instead of cultures, which creates an inclusive and nuanced voice one doesn't frequently see. The installation pieces were stunning experiences.
Upper floor collections retain a more culturally-focused framing indicative of a colonial gaze, but there is a clear attempt to modernize.
The staff was attentive and knowledgeable.
Well worth the visit- in a city full of attractions, this stands out as a polished gem.

Loved PEM! It's just the right size for a partial day excursion. The exhibits are eclectic and inclusive. The affordability is nearly unmatched for this area. 16 years and under are free. Adults $20. The total for myself and my 3 young teens...$20. The parking garage is just across the road and my parking fee was $2.50. I'm used to my parking fee in Boston being $24 for 3 hours, so this felt like a steal. I'll be recommending this to area families!

I'm so happy to see that the PEM has diversified their offerings. The cure t exhibits are stunning. My favorite element was music through 3 gallery installations. It's a one time in a lifetime experience. I feel since the museum is in the heart of Salem. There should be more exhibitions on the witch trials. I loved that there were rooms with beautiful art. The museum is beautifully built and the gift shop was great. The food at the location was great, too. I was just disappointed that the exhibition for salem Witch trials was so dull. They only had like 3 rooms connected. They should have added color to match the theme of the trials to know and feel what it was like for the victims.

I'm a Salem resident and I am on a mission to tour all the local attractions, museums and places of relevance.
About this one:
The Peabody Essex museum is the oldest continuously running museum in the United States!
With its permanent collection and temporary exhibits, it offers an eclectic variety of artifacts and art/design pieces. Its temporary exhibits in particular tend to often focus on matters of social equality and on environmental issues. It spreads through three floors and, even though it's not gigantic, it is a pretty big museum.
PEM's jewel is definitely the Yin Yu Tang, a complete Chinese house originally built in the 1600s in southeastern China, moved to the museum and reconstructed as it was when the family last inhabited it in 1982. You can walk the courtyard and corridors, enter its furnished rooms, learn through the recorded audio guides. It is actually pretty amazing.
It requires a timed reservation that I recommend to get online in advance.
My favorite rooms are the Maritime Art one, the American Art exhibit ("Being and belonging in America") and the fashion and design display in the new wing.
PEM is free for Salem residents and a constant source of new exhibits, workshops and events.
If you are visiting Salem, PEM is a wonderful Museum to tour. Please keep in mind that the scope of its exhibitions goes way beyond Salem itself, as it shows artists from all around the world. If you are looking for something local, you should check out "Salem Stories" on the second floor, and a few art pieces and artifacts connected to the Salem Witch trials and to Salem architecture inside the American Art display that I mentioned above. They also sometimes offer temporary exhibits about Salem history, especially during tourist season.
PROs
This is an amazing museum, very modern in the way things are presented to the public - in a way that is engaging and thought-provoking.
CONs
No real cons to mention!
Just, if you visit the Yin Yu Tang house during winter, be aware that it is COLD inside the house!
Also, again a reminder that PEM is strongly connected to the local community but it is not a museum about Salem.

The Peabody Essex Museum is a wonderful place to explore art and culture. Three floors to explore which you can access by stairs or elevator. The picnic areas make it an ideal spot for family outings, and the park's history as a former industrial site adds an interesting layer to its character. This is excellent. Lots of trails for the curious explorer and very gently sloped main paths that feel just secluded enough. This park could do with more trash bins and restrooms, though. Anything to keep bags of pet waste off the trails would also be a massive improvement.

Beautiful park with well laid out trails so you don't easily get lost. There's a convenient and pretty clean bathroom by the field. I was disappointed when I returned to my rental car to see that I received a parking ticket. I am from Florida and just wanted to enjoy the beauty of New Hampshire and the changing colors and this is the welcome I receive. I am not familiar with the area and not aware of parking restrictions and didn't see any signs with restrictions at this park. I have traveled to many, many other states and enjoyed their nature trails without being penalized with a parking ticket. I looked around and saw that no one else was ticketed. This put a bad taste in my mouth and made me feel unwelcome because I had out of state plates. I will never go to another New Hampshire park again for fear of receiving more violations. The fine is $200 and there are no warning signs.

It was built in 1742 by wealthy businessman Peter Faneuil, and has been a part of American history since its inception. The hall is famous for being the site of important speeches and gatherings during the early days of the American Revolution.
Amazing food vendors. Awesome stores. Great foods. Wasn't too crowded but it was still crowded on a Friday afternoon. The entire market was surprisingly clean. But the bathrooms were not, especially in the men's bathroom. It is a public area so no surprise. Each vendor has their own unique type of foods as well. The clam chowder is excellent from any of the vendors. Didn't have a bad experience with any of the clam chowder. The lobster rolls were great but expect to pay $30+ for lobster rolls. The seafood here is expensive. Expect to spend easily over $50 for food. Overall, a cool place to check out but don't forget to budget in the parking lot fee if you're on a budget.

I went in here as a quick stop since we were just there for a day through a cruise, but I highly enjoyed myself and was wonderfully surprised at how educational it was. I didn't realize Boston was such a big part of our American history in more ways than one. It's truly inspirational; the spirit of revolution lingers in the air. The marketplace has an old structure, but it's pretty modern. I liked that I didn't really see a lot of big franchises or big brand names. Highly recommend this as a stop while in town.

A great shopping center to buy gifts or have a typical Boston meal.
In the surroundings of the Quincy market we have many stores that sell shirts, coats and other types of gifts in the city.
Inside, in addition to handicraft and local gift shops, we have several options for food, from natural juices and the famous lobster sandwich to pizzas and ice cream.
Whenever we go to Boston, the Quincy market is an almost mandatory stop on our itinerary.
Be prepared to spend good hours between shops and restaurants.
Or even just observe the architecture or artistic presentations in the surrounding streets.

This is a really cool place in Boston. They have so many food options. It’s like a food market. And the building is really nice. Only thing they don’t have enough seating options. The day we went it was very crowded we didn’t find any chair. Difficult to find parking near by. You have to park far and walk. But worth going there.

My favorite place to go in Boston. We went late after returning from a trip to Spectacle Island so most of the food options were closed. Ice cream of course still available! Still always fun to walk around a bit and enjoy the scene. Definitely was a very good singer / guitar player performing which was nice. Best to go earlier in the day to enjoy all the many food options inside Quincy Market.

What a great place to visit! It was busy and bustling with lots of booths offering different crafts and wares. Got some high quality Boston memorabilia here to bring back home with me. Better than all the cheap touristy stuff you could find elsewhere. Plus there's lots of history to look at after you shop!

Maybe it's because I was tired after a long day of travel or I didn't quite know what to expect. For some reason, I assumed to have all of this shopping within different layers of the hall. Instead, inside the actual historical site is a lot of souvenir shops and then there's two rows; one on either side of the hall with all the shops. I'm going to go back when I have more energy to people and I'm sure I'll have a better time.

Was not exactly what I was expecting. While the history being Faneuil Hall is interesting, most of the marketplace is across the courtyard in the Quincy Maket.
They have a display that encircles the middle of the hall describing what slavery was like in Boston during the Colonial period and stories of former slaves. I found that every educational.
There are a few shops that line the outsides of the hall.
Still worth the visit though.

Faneuil Hall Marketplace is a huge market in Boston. Unfortunately, The Great Hall was closed in Faneuil Hall so I didn't get to check it out. Since 1742, this marketplace was a meeting place for business. Quincy Market is also located there and the first food hall in the U.S.!
There are cobblestone throughout outside and so many people out and about. When we went on a Saturday, there were street performers singing and playing instruments. We were enjoying the sights, sounds, and smells. There's so much history! Across the street, there is the Boston Harbor. The Freedom Trail also goes through here. Overall, a spot you cannot miss when you're in Boston.

A good place for meeting up with friends? Or maybe that special someone and has a bit of everything that offers a vibrant atmosphere as well as the romantic one. I love the activities that are going on from people showcasing their talents to locals, having fun in a sense of activities maybe it is that include visitors. It's a very warm welcoming vibe that it gives off and it's one of my favorite places to visit while I'm in downtown Boston. In fact I can say that area in general is my favorite place to just be alone and think of with company. My favorite next to Wharfs Landing or Boston Inner Harbor.

It's definitely a "festival marketplace."
During the urban renewal of Boston, led by mall developer James Rouse, Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market is a tale of urban revitalization through globalized capitalism. It is certainly more for tourists than locals.
It is a beautiful set of buildings and has a lot of history, but most of the tenants of Quincy Market are the same chains you'll see in other nationalized festival marketplaces like Saint Augustine or Chattanooga. Still, go and view it, it's pretty and lively.

Faneuil Hall Marketplace in Boston proved to be a winter wonderland during my recent visit, despite the icy and snowy conditions that enveloped the city. The historic charm of the marketplace, coupled with the festive atmosphere, created a magical experience.
Navigating through the cobblestone streets and historic buildings adorned with twinkling lights, I discovered a bustling hub of activity. The market's diverse array of shops and eateries offered a warm respite from the chilly weather outside. From sipping hot cocoa to indulging in local treats, the marketplace became a delightful refuge from the winter elements.
The Quincy Market building, with its iconic architecture, provided shelter from the snowfall while offering an eclectic mix of shops and food stalls. Even in the midst of wintry conditions, street performers and lively crowds added an energetic vibe to the scene.
Faneuil Hall Marketplace's ability to transform into a festive haven, even in icy weather, showcases its timeless appeal. It's not just a shopping destination; it's an immersive experience that weaves together history, culture, and the resilience of Bostonians in the face of winter's embrace.
The public garden is a park located in the city of Boston that features a lagoon, fountains, and other sights. It is popular with children who have read Robert McCloskey's much-loved book, Make Way for Ducklings, as the Public Garden where it took place and the statues honoring Mrs. Mallard and her brood are located.
The most gorgeous park in Boston! I always explore different spots and I love how they keep it so well manicured and updated each season! Absolute must any time of year if you’re a tourist visiting the city or a local looking for a chill spot to read or just... be.

The Boston Public Garden is a large park surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers. The sceneries are visual treat by themselves. This gorgeous park has something to offer for everyone. You can just sit on benches and enjoy its tranquility, listen to live music being played by up and coming artists, set up a place for mediation or stroll around and admire the stunning flowers and the exceptional landscaping. I was fortunate I got to see the colorful foliage. There are statues of historic US figures, a large pond called the lagoon, and a historic bridge that stretches over the lagoon with a scenic views of the water and the island in its center. An iconic feature in the park is the bronze Mama duck with her eight ducklings heading to the lagoon. Truly, it is one of the most captivating park I have ever seen thus far.

Boston Public Garden
The landscaped, 24-acre Boston Public Garden, established in 1837, was the first public botanical garden in the U.S. The Public Garden contains lovely manicured paths, the famous “Make Way for Ducklings” statues, a 4-acre pond with swans and a variety of other birds, and several memorable statues throughout. You can enjoy a leisurely ride aboard the Swan Boats, pedal-powered gondolas which have been in operation during the summer months since 1877.

Really has been cleaned up the past couple years. There used to be a bunch of druggies hanging out inside acting a fool, but now it’s returned to that old beauty. Absolutely my favorite place in downtown Boston to enjoy a nice day. Fabulous environment for the kids to enjoy the scenery as well. It’s always nice to see other people also having a great time whether it’s sitting out for a picnic, playing frisbee, taking pictures or just sitting and people watching. Anytime I am in downtown Boston, this place is a must. I very highly recommend you take event a moment to pass through it, you will not be disappointed.
This historic bridge in a national park marks the spot of the first Revolutionary War battle.
A great walking path and tons of history to be seen. Amazing and I wish I could visit here more often. The scenery is great and the little places and historical sites you find along the way are very interesting. They offer things like historical battle recreations and working musket demonstrations too. The little pieces of trivia along the trail are also very interesting.

Lots of great history of our country. Probably one of the best "videos" at any National Park. Very nicely done, tells the local story of the Old North Bridge, Paul Revere's ride, and the battle that started it all. A great side trip is the cabin near the bridge, where you can learn about Ellen Garrison. She doesn't give up her seat LONG before Rosa Parks.

This was such a lovely, beautiful, and historic place. There were a number of historic buildings and sights along the very long trail. She found this place and we wanted to get out so figured we’d check it out. It was actually really cool! It was like you got to experience what they experienced way back when, within reason. Walking down the same roads, in the heat, but them not knowing if they would make it or be ambushed. The plaques were very descriptive and helpful. Lots of history in a pretty small area. Definitely glad we went. PET OWNERS PICK UP YOUR POO BAGS! We saw like 3 or 4 around the park which is absolutely unacceptable. We took our dogs but would be a shame if they every ban dogs due to lazy people. There was also a restroom facility and water about halfway of the area we toured so that was helpful. Everything was very well maintained and such. You can go in the one house if it’s open that day and talk to a staff person about stuff.

This park has many historical sites and is mostly built around events that happened between Lexington and Concord. The road also doubles as a very nice walking or running path. This park doesn't require entrance fees like many other parks. There is a visitor's center that has lots of good information and some guided tours along with many history markers and houses. However, the week we were there the visitor center was closing at noon instead of 5:00 like is posted online. I don't know how to tell people to check closing time because they just put up a temporary physical sign at the entry. It might be possible to call them.
We had a wonderful tour/walk with a friendly park ranger who told us about a nearby skirmish site, what we know and what we wish we knew.

If you are a Revolutionary War buff, you will love this place for the historical sites. The North Bridge was my favorite spot. We listened to a costumed ranger talk about the minute men. They do this twice a day at Hartwell tavern. They also did a musket firing demo. You could visit this park and just hit the highlights without spending a lot of time, or slow down and look at every site.

Such an amazing experience to stand where the revolutionary war started. Parking is close by to the top of the hill closest to the museum and gift shop. As you step out you are over looking the field that shows the north bridge in the background. If you follow the path down the hill and around the field it will bring you to the bridge. Such a great place, rich with history beneath your feet.

This is a great area surrounded by nature and full of history. The Battle Trail is a nice walk or bike. I rode my bike and there was some good little downhill in the northwest direction. I did round trip and it was around 7 miles.
The old buildings remind you of what was and how we got here. The battlefields hold so much memory. Imagine a redcoat or blue coat hiding behind a tree with musket in hand, as you walk through. Stop by all the signs and get the facts.
Enjoy your visit and bikers remember that walkers are on trail.

The Old North Bridge in Concord is an absolute gem that beautifully encapsulates both the rich history and the serene beauty of the area. Stepping onto this iconic bridge feels like stepping back in time, into a moment that forever changed the course of history.
The bridge itself is a charming architectural wonder, standing as a testament to the past. As I walked across it, I couldn't help but imagine the courageous Minutemen who once stood before the imposing redcoats, ready to defend their homeland. The courage and determination of those who fought here on April 19th, 1775, reverberate through the very air, reminding us of the sacrifices made for the sake of freedom and independence.
The peaceful river flowing beneath the bridge seems to hold the echoes of that historic day, flowing gently as a symbol of the tranquility that came after the storm of battle. The juxtaposition of the serene waters and the memory of past strife is a poignant reminder of the enduring spirit of the American people.
Surrounded by magnificent gardens, the Old North Bridge area is a blend of natural beauty and historical significance. The gardens themselves are a sight to behold, with vibrant colors and fragrant blooms that invite contemplation and reflection. To stroll through these gardens while contemplating the events that unfolded here is a truly immersive experience.
What strikes me most is the sense of beauty and freedom that pervades the area. Standing in this place, knowing the bravery and sacrifice that unfolded here, is a humbling experience. It's a reminder of the power of unity and the determination to stand up for what's right, even in the face of adversity.
The Old North Bridge in Concord isn't just a landmark; it's a living testament to the ideals that have shaped our nation. The sense of history, the tranquility of the river, and the stunning gardens all come together to create an unforgettable atmosphere that leaves a profound impact on anyone who visits. If you're seeking a place that combines history, beauty, and a deep sense of patriotism, the Old North Bridge is an absolute must-visit.
With gratitude for the past and hope for the future,

I'm joking of course, but the location is very impressive and historically significant to the American Revolution. This battle was the first American victory in the American Revolution. There are plenty of plaques and marks in the location that only add to the historical aura of this bridge.
Wether you're a Fallout 4 fan, history buff, or tourist, this bridge is a great visit!
Fenway Park is home to the Boston Red Sox and occasionally features big-name concerts. It's an historic, small-capacity ballpark with a kid-friendly Wallys Clubhouse that can be visited during between innings of a Red Sox game.
Walked up and booked the guided tour ($21) that started ten minutes later. Despite a slow start (it’s amazing how many adults need the bathroom), it was an enjoyable tour and a good chance to get inside the ballpark in the off season. It’s definitely made me want to see a game here, despite not being a fan.

Great ballpark to visit with many services. Private tours are very conducive to children infusing interaction with historical education. Show up early because they are prompt, leaving the time they say. Rich in History and relatively rather clean for a ball park. Their service coordinators to set up the tours are extremely helpful and go above and beyond. Be prepared to walk a mile or so from the parking garage or take a cycle taxi for a speedier arrival.

Close enough by for just a 10 minute walk after the game, the game views in the stands were absolutely amazing, the crowd was fun-loving and passionate, the sunset that night was absolutely spellbinding, and the atmosphere was electric! What a homage to baseball and to just celebrating how life can be so beautiful and fun. ✌️👍🙂❤️🙂

Family friendly Fenway! Easy to access by the Kenmore T stop on the green line. Would not recommend parking near the stadium on game day. Fenway franks are a must try. Plenty to see if you’re in need of a stretch during the game. Bathrooms are clean and well kept (wish they would switch to auto faucets instead of push faucets, though). Great place for a family outing!

Picked this tour with our Go City pass. We love seeing different ball parks and the history here is something you could spend multiple days taking about. Our tour guide was thorough and did a great job for a large and diverse crowd. My only suggestion is they cap tour groups to 25 people as any more ends up costing time.
Would love if they took you to the dugout and other inside areas like many other ballparks. It would be so awesome to see the whole facility!

First time sitting in the green monster seats was an experience. The view is spectacular. I was afforded a cool breeze on a not so cool day sitting in those seats. Easy access to food and restrooms was a plus. I would suggest anyone to try these seats as it's a fabulous view not only of the game but of the city itself.

Took a tour of the ballpark to get a little history, movie trivia, and a look around. The tour covers a lot! You get to see a lot as well. The only thing is nowhere does it say where to meet up. So if you're on the tour, look for Gate D to go across the street inside the gift shop. Tour starts their. Look for the men in red jackets. Hope this helps.

The atmosphere and vibe here is lively and so much fun! I can see why it’s an iconic place to come to when visiting Boston. I’ve been here twice now and can definitely say it was worth paying the tickets for.
Food: They had stadium food such as hot dogs, fries, cotton candy, etc available. They also have a short selection of beer available to purchase.
Atmosphere: I’ve been lucky to sit in good seating both times I’ve been here and it was an awesome experience. The fans are fun to be around and it can get rowdy in here as well. It’s a very nostalgic place and I can see why people enjoy coming here. One thing to note is that the stadium and field itself are rather quite small. I was surprised to how small it feels in the stadium.
Price: The food and beer is pricey but it is normal for stadium food.
Parking: Parking is limited and I would suggest taking the T to get here.

This was a truly amazing experience. My friends and I got tickets for standing area up top. It was the best choice for us because there where a lot of us and we wanted to be able to talk and mingle. There's a bar up there that never really got super busy so it was easy to grab drinks. If you're coming to watch the game with a bunch of friends, this is definitely the best option.

Born in New York, I’m not a Red Sox fan. As a baseball fan, I think this stadium is great. Lots of history made here. We took the stadium tour before the game; in depth and very informative. Most seats have a good view. Typical baseball food and concessions.

Really cool place, even though I'm a Yankees fan I had a great time touring the park. and I got to see the history of the park. Really loved the museum, where they have a lot of signed memorabilia. Overall a great place to visit, not just for a baseball fan

Fenway Park Tour - it was really fun to tour the park and learn the history. I was a little disappointed we did not get to go in the locker room or inside the green monster. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and kind of funny!
Tips: go in the spring or summer. We went in February and it was a little too cold and the field was covered by a tarp and there was no grass. The tour meets in the pro shop across the street. We were the first ones there so we walked around the store a while. By the time the tour started there were so many people (about 50) that we had to split into 2 groups and we ended up at the end of the line so we were in the second group. So we had to stand outside for 10 or 15 minutes so the first group could get started. They will check your bags - backpacks are not allowed.

I was in Boston for the weekend so I caught the game. The atmosphere was incredible, very family friendly with lots of crowd engagement. The event is more than just a baseball game, it's an massive event and day out.
Accessing the stadium was fairly easy and it's easy to move around when you're inside.
An historic venue, definitely worth visiting if in town.

Just did the Fenway tour last week & it was wonderful! The tour guides were knowledgeable & took the time to make the experience enjoyable for everyone in the group! We got to see baseball history & experience the beauty of Fenway! Reasonably priced & well worth the trip! This is a must see! Can’t wait to travel up & see a game from the Green Monster!

Pretty good. I'm not a fan of baseball, but the wife is. Got a history tour of the stadium and that was slightly interesting. Having access to non-normal ares was pretty cool. I just wish we could've gone to an actual game after so I could have tried some of the food

The Fenway Park tour was better than we could have expected. We had a wonderful tour guide that explained everything well and despite us having a large group it was easy to hear her. The tour takes you through the history of the ballpark and gives you a lot of opportunities for photos. After going through different sitting areas including the oldest wooden seats in a MLB ballpark you get to go through the press box. They end the tour with a trip through a museum with lots of game used memorabilia. Outside of the ballpark there are statues and World Series signs to see. Finish the tour with the Fenway Park store filled with souvenirs.

Outstanding ball park. I've been to many new and some of the old parks that are torn down and Fenway is absolutely historic. It's like no other park. I can't wait to see Wrigley.

The park tour was a great experience, especially for being only $25 each! Despite it being quite cold and windy in February, the tour guide was friendly, welcoming, and just privded a great time overall. Unfortunately, the tour during the winter results in seeing a field under construction as they re-sod the field before every season, but that is to be expected. The tour gives you a nice overview of the history of the stadium and the Red Sox as a team while keeping a bit of humor to the story. If you're in town, this is a great use of time and money. The only weird thing we noticed is that they take a picture of your group for you, print it out, and then try to sell it to you, and if you choose not to take it, they just throw it out, which seems quite wasteful. Maybe we misunderstood, but both my wife and I were under the impression that the photos were available for purchase, not for free. Regardless, we had a great time and I highly recommend the tour!

Loved the tour.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and included the whole group from the start asking were people were from and what team they supported.
You start from underneath where they would sell food then you enter the stadium and you go all the way up the top and also into the press area. It was a great tour even if I am not a baseball fan but I really appreciated the history behind the place. It's a must if visiting g Biston. Account fir couple of hours minimum.
The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston is a world-renowned art museum with an extensive collection from ancient Egyptian to contemporary American. Kids will enjoy the clever touches, such as special family labels and games to help them explore the collection.
Huge art museum with an array of styles. Came here during the first weekend of the month, as they participate in Bank of America’s Museums on Us, so we got free entry as a result of being cardholders. There is public transportation line with the museum as a stop, but it also was a nice walk to get here from our hotel. Masks were recommended but not required. There is a cafe inside if you need food.
You can easily spend an entire day here looking through all the exhibits. We spent an afternoon until the museum closed at 5, and I wish we were able to spend more time. No flash photography. There were water bottle refilling stations by restrooms. Coat check is available. You’re in for a good time here.

I love this museum. Every time I go, it feels like a new experience. The only issue is that it can be a little hard to navigate. I definitely suggest bringing the map along. The cafe near the gift store makes excellent coffee too.

Exploring the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) in Boston was a truly enriching experience that exceeded my expectations. The museum's extensive collection spans centuries and continents, offering a diverse array of artistic treasures. What drew me in, in particular, was the captivating world of the Asian exhibits.
Wandering through the halls dedicated to Asian art felt like embarking on a cultural journey. The carefully curated pieces showcased the beauty, history, and intricate craftsmanship of Asian cultures. From stunning traditional paintings to awe-inspiring sculptures, the collection truly captured the essence of the rich artistic traditions of Asia.
The MFA's commitment to providing a comprehensive narrative shone through in the way each exhibit was thoughtfully arranged. The detailed descriptions and historical context provided a deeper understanding of the pieces, turning each visit into a fascinating exploration.
The museum's ambiance enhanced the overall experience, with well-lit and spacious galleries that allowed for contemplation and appreciation. The staff's passion and knowledge were evident, contributing to a welcoming and educational atmosphere.
Visiting the MFA is not just a trip to a museum; it's a cultural immersion that transports you across time and space. Whether you're an art enthusiast or someone seeking to broaden your cultural horizons, the MFA in Boston, especially its Asian exhibits, is a must-visit destination that promises a truly memorable and enriching experience.

The MFA was surprisingly amazing! I knew it was a good art museum, yet I had no idea we had such an incredible bounty of art history and culture in Boston! The cafe and amenities were great and high-quality, and the displays were simply awe-inspiring. The Egyptian section is very thoughtful, and the European paintings almost made me cry with the effort and skill. The gift shop is also quite nice!! Haha!

They sell tickets at the front door but allocate time to lineup. If you are visiting on weekends, do it before noon. After noon line gets larger and larger.
You’ll need a full day if you’d like to see everything. However, it can be exhausting. There are some areas where you can sit if you need to rest.
Great experience, lots of exhibitions from Egypt, Americas, Asian… spectacular!
You also need to lineup to enter the cafeteria. Food is bit overpriced, but ambiance and service worth the extra bucks.
Parking in the back is plenty, so, no worries there.
Parking Max rate is $30.

The MFA is a must go. I’m assuming if you are looking at reviews you probably know this and you are really looking for information about parking and logistics. I got you.
PARKING: there are MFA garages and parking lots that are on Museum Rd. Additionally there is street parking but it’s limited and you must pay unless it’s Sunday. All museum parking accommodations are expensive but offer quick accessibility to the museum. You can also park on Forsyth Way. I recommend going early in the morning if you want an easy street parking spot. Again, Sunday is free. Lastly the museum website has information about parking. All in all it’s not bad so don’t let that deter your visit.
2. TICKETS: I would recommend getting advanced tickets if you are seeing a special exhibit, additionally an advanced ticket is just an easier experience overall. Again, if you are seeing something special that costs more then plan in advance to get a ticket with a specific time.
3. IF YOU HAVE KIDS: the museum is kid friendly and I was surprised that they did not ask us to check backpacks or our stroller. There were many families with their young kids and the strollers did not seem to be a problem. Made our lives easier so I am assuming that the museum is pretty accessible for wheelchairs too.
4. Check out my photos to get a sense of the space. Loved our trip here and I will be back! Highly recommend.

Went with my college-aged artist daughter and thoroughly enjoyed the time spent. It's great Tha MFA has a program for students get in free by presenting their student ID and email. We spent most of our short time with the Impressionists but they also had an impressive musical instrument exhibit. You could spend days here though our short visit was also worth the effort.

Amazing collection of modern art and history. You definitely need multiple visit to go around and appreciate all of it.
Art from ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, Africa and the Americas… art from the Flemish and Dutch, Islamic art, contemporary art, and more. So much to see and be in awe of.

An amazing experience. The Egyptian hall has the most Egyptian artifacts outside of Cairo. The Greek and Roman halls were also extensive. The coins hall was also excellent. Definitely recommend coming early to have time to examine the museum with time.

If it had not one work of art within its walls, this museum is a beautiful work of art in and of itself. The experience was similar to that of being at the Smithsonian without the crowds and the field trips. I could spend a week here. There is a great restaurant in house and 2 gift shops. Would recommend the app for a self guided tour and if you're visiting Boston, buy a city pass that includes the admission to this and other worthy attractions. There is a separate cost for special/traveling exhibitions.

Large collection of fine art, very well curated, displayed, and maintained. You can buy tickets at the door, but you can also buy it online if you want to skip the queues. Expect the whole or half day if you want to savor the whole section.

Beautiful museum with different sections dedicated to American, European, Asian, and Egyptian arts among others with nice lay out. In the central yard there is a restaurant with excellent food and service.
I visited on Sunday. There was short waiting time online to get a ticket. Adult regular ticket cost $27.

There was so much too look at, they have a great collection of all kinds of different art from all over the world dating back thousands of years as well as more modern collections too. I wish I had more time to explore. I really enjoyed the ancient Egypt collections. Will definitely be back.

This is an absolutely fantastic museum to visit! It really is huge (even a day's not really enough) and is filled with little rooms, corridors, and nooks of artwork. Broadly split into American, European, and Ancient Art (and most other things too- I'd recommend the musical instrument room!), there are maps everywhere as well showing roughly where you are as well as an app too to give you a bit more depth on the artwork. I think everyone has their favourite section- I really like the recreated rooms from lost mansions in the New England area- and they have good examples from major artists such as Monet, Degas, and Copley.
They do great exhibitions- the current one is on Sargent and costume and was fantastic! So interesting to see the clothing worn in such famous portraits! There are also a lot of his paintings from private collections too that you may not have seen so worth going to if you're a fan!
Not surprisingly, it does get busy but I think it absorbs the numbers well and you can always find a quiet spot away from the crowds. The downstairs Garden Cafeteria is a good spot to get lunch and there's also the atrium restaurant too (this one does get busy, usually a queue!). There's multiple shops dotted around too with an exhibit one, a small one by the entrance and then a larger Main Shop. If you're into books- the main shop is great for them and they're very diverse, not just art!

As I approached the museum, the grand neoclassical façade promised a world of treasures inside, and it did not disappoint. The museum is well-organized, with clear signage directing visitors to various exhibits—making the exploration both effortless and engaging.
Inside the museum, I was struck by the thoughtful presentation of art from across eras and continents. Notable was a bronze statue, possibly from the 15th-century, its verdigris patina lending an air of timelessness. The sculpture seemed to gaze at passersby, offering a silent narrative of history’s depth.
Equally impressive was a dramatic painting depicting what appeared to be a historic scene of chaos and grandeur, its dark, swirling sky looming over classical architecture. The painter’s mastery of light and shadow brought the scene to life, engulfing me in the depicted moment of turmoil and majesty.

The MFA is a great museum that has a varied selection of pieces and works. If you like Egyptian art, they have mummies. You like Roman statues, your in luck, they have some too. You like the impressionists? They have masterpieces from Degas, Monet, Van Gogh and Picasso? Absolutely a must! It's a nice size that can be visited in a day. Staff was helpful too. We visit every time we go to Boston.
All-suite resort with some themed rooms, plus a huge indoor water park, kid's spa & bowling alley.
Great place for kids and the whole family. The stay package includes the entry to the water parks from the opening hours on the check-in day to closing hours on checkout day which. So practically you get to enjoy two full days. They have amazing summer camp-in activities running throughout the day till night 10pm. My kid enjoyed the interactive story time, games, crafts and the best one was the dance party. The water park quite fun for both kids and grownups as well. So many different things to keep you busy. Our favorite was the wave pool and river canyon. Great options for food as well.
Overall service was very good.

I can’t even lie after reading the bad reviews I was scared to come here, but I have no regrets at all bringing my daughter here for her second birthday. She enjoyed herself so much. We got the wolf den suite and it was very clean and spacious for my family. The water park was perfect, my daughter enjoyed all the kiddie slides, water and wave pool! We also enjoyed the yoga time, story time, met the bear, arts and crafts, and dance time which was all free! All the staff was friendly and helpful. We also got the paw pass for my daughter which was absolutely perfect, she gets a free build a bear, the small ropes course is free for children under 48 inches, she was able to get free ice cream, free candy, 5$ game card and free goggles!
The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because the food was VERY expensive, no refills unless you buy the reusable cup. Also, I wanted an extra night which was requested online when I made the reservation and it was suppose to be $250, but when I came to check in they wanted $500 which was not nice at all. They should’ve accommodated me. But now I know to book exactly what I want when I catch the sales.

Great place for the kids to burn energy. Water parks are a blast and they even have some great adult slides. Water areas look clean. Be careful on holidays though. Jam packed!!! Took us an hour just to register but again, it was a holiday. If the pool area is shoulder to shoulder, they have private tables you could rent for a hundred bucks a day. We did that and it was worth it. The game rooms and indoor play park are fun and loud areas for kids to play. Food and beer courts are in the perfect location for adults to rest their feet and minds. It's definitely a costly night but you do get a lot in return for your kids and even for yourself. The drive up is quiet and scenic. I always love New England.

recently had the pleasure of staying at Wolf's Lodge in New England with my family, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Here's why I highly recommend it:
1. Military Discount: The fact that they offer a military discount is not only commendable but greatly appreciated. It shows their support for our service members.
2. Family-Friendly Mini Suites: We stayed in one of their mini suites, and it was perfect for our family. The separate rooms allowed for privacy, and the accommodations were comfortable and well-maintained.
3.Breakfast Buffet: The breakfast buffet was a great value. It fueled us up for a day of adventures in the park.
4. Arts and Kids Crafts: The arts and kids crafts activities kept our 4½-year-old granddaughter entertained and engaged. It's wonderful to see a place that caters to all age groups.
5. Thrilling Activities: Wolf's Lodge offers a wide range of activities, from a climbing wall to a rope park and mini golf. There's something for everyone to enjoy.
6. Free Parking: The convenience of free parking is a huge plus. It's one less thing to worry about during your stay.
7. Friendly and Helpful Staff: The staff members were not only friendly but also incredibly helpful. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was enjoyable.
8. Short and Fast Lines: We appreciated that the lines for rides were short and fast-moving, making the most of our time in the park.
9. Two-Day Park Admission: Another perk is the two-day park admission included with an overnight stay. It allowed us to fully explore the park and enjoy all it has to offer.
10. Convenient Location: Wolf's Lodge is situated near numerous restaurants, making it easy to find a variety of dining options.
In conclusion, our stay at Wolf's Lodge in New England was worth every penny. It's the perfect destination for families looking for a fun, comfortable, and memorable getaway. We can't wait to return for another adventure-filled visit

We took a day trip to the water park with 18mo and 6yo. The kids had loads of fun and enjoyed every minute of the ~6 hours stay. The attractions were spacious enough to avoid any major queues and overall felt very safe. The only 'but' are the amenities. The park is clearly designed for hotel guests and not for day visitors - cold showers, little space in changing rooms, not really baby friendly, etc. Even though bit annoying, it is understandable and we will plan the next visit better.

Myself and wife bought 3 rooms for my son’s bday and his closest friends and their parents to stay. We had an overall good time! The downfall is the pricing of food/drinks… $5 for a candy bar(imagine that) A candy bar cost more than a gallon of fuel! Second issue is we’re sitting at the pool (with the basketball hoops) and a worker comes up and asks us to move from the table as it’s “premium seating” you have to pay extra to sit at a table with chairs!! Are you joking me!?!? We paid for 3 rooms $900 and spent close to $1500 on different items and we have to pay extra to sit at a table with chairs!!!?? Mind you we sat at the same table the night before and nobody once said anything to us… this place makes plenty of money yet you have to pay for a table…
Another thing is the way some of the lifeguards speak to the kids. My son and his friends told me that a few of them were nasty toward them…
I will say the swim area is really fun and spacious and the same with the arcade.

Every one's experience is different but for our case it was worth every $$$ spent on our kids.

I took 4 kids here last weekend ages 16,15,15&4 and we had a great experience! The older crew enjoyed the water slides and adventure park
My little one loved the nightly dance party , kiddie pool areas & bowling! I thought the hotel staff were great and the room was too ! The breakfast buffet has a plenty of choices with good food
My only complaint is how freezing it is between the two pool areas ! Bring a bathrobe !!! You’ll want it when walking in that area !

This is an excellent hotel for families!! The food was amazing for a buffet (variety of choices for both the kiddos and the parents)
The rooms were a bit older but very well kept. I always wipe down the room and washrooms and Could easily see that they do their jobs well.
The water park was wonderful, at a perfect temperature; we can easily forget the cold outside. The pools have lifeguards that do endless patrols and are diligent, keeping their eyes continuously scanning their assigned areas are impressive! Bravo to the whole staff!! They are attentive and take care of any concerns.
I could go on and on, but you have to see it for yourself.
Oh, I forgot the semi virtual adventures … seeing young ones running up and down the corridors waving their wands fighting a dragon can only put a smile on your face (for a moment wanting to be a kid yourself) magical , hidden treasures are activated when their wands are waved throughout the whole hotel.
Nice to see young people helping the younger ones figure out how to play the game :)
Was there in September 2022 and will be back May 2023. 6 adults and 2 kids shows us the this hotel is not only for kids but the adults as well. Nice that there are no dirty looks when children cry or make a fuss.. have to experience for yourself.

We did overall enjoy ourselves. However the price we paid for the room was not worth it. Renovation are definitely needed. The elevators are small and rugs need to be replaced. The service at the breakfast buffet by our waitress was superb. The food served at the water park is overpriced and I would recommend the food service people need some training. I want thank and commend the lifeguards for keeping our children safe. It made me feel very safe to see they were very attentive and I would like to return.

I Love great Wolf. It is a great place with excellent service across the entire hotel.
My only complain was the room temperature as it was a bit warm and I personally like to sleep in a cold room.
Also, there were kids knocking on my door and being very loud around midnight. Nothing to do with the hotel, however next time I will ask to not be close to an elevator.
Other than that, my son had a blast. We love the water park and all the activities at the Main Lobby. Highly recommended for people with kids!

Kids had a blast at this indoor water park , perfect for something to do in the middle of winter. Room was nice, had everything we needed. Soap, plenty towels, microwave, mini fridge, etc. Water park was great overall, maybe the water or room temp was a tad cold, since kids were getting cold frequently and kept drying off. It was nice to exchange wet towels for dry each time. It’s loud in there for sure and smells of chlorine.
Best part was that the staff was not on our backs about masks at all. It was great to feel like we’re back living normal free life like we should.

Pros:
Room was clean.
Beds were pretty comfortable.
Water slides were lots of fun for the kids.
Cons:
Food was astronomically priced. Our meal for 4 cost $130 before the tip! (3 out of 4 people ordered cheeseburgers, which were $19 each!! Would not have eaten there if we had known, but no prices were listed. I bought the $200 food add-on and the bulk of it was gone after 1 meal!
There were set times that you could eat, but we weren't made aware of that previously so we were constantly having to wait around until the meal started (if you leave the area the seats are all taken when you get back).
It took a while to check in.
Anytime we wanted to do anything it felt like everything took forever. Waiting in lines, waiting to be able to eat, waiting extended times for an elevator, just lots of waiting. Maybe it wouldn't have bothered me nearly as much if we had stayed longer, but when you're only staying for 1 day and you spend half that day waiting for every little thing it seems like a waste of money overall. I wouldn't go for just 1 day again.

My family and I had a great stay! We were very skeptical after reading some reviews but we were so glad we chose to stay at Great Wolf Lodge.. Our son is 7 and our daughter is 11 months- They both had a blast. Every single staff member we came in contact with was amazing! They all had smiles on their faces and were genuinely happy to help. Everyone outside the actual water park was great! Most life guards we ran into were pretty miserable. I know it was a long weekend, but don't take it out on the kids. The lodge and the lodge bar were fantastic. Food solid, service great considering the madness.
Dunks needs a better, more communicative expo person. The man on Saturday am was NOT helpful at all.
Towel ppl and service staff at buckets were great as well.
One last thing. We were allowed an early check-in, but the room was not checked. As we were walking out to go to the park, a supervisor came to check the room. Few items from the lst guests were in the room on the rug.

We came to the Great Wolf Lodge for the first time with anticipated excitement but to our dismay, we were disappointed. Firstly, finding convenient parking wasn't even a reality. We had to park a good distance away from the entrance to the park. Then upon check in, we had a long line to wait in just to get our wrist bands. We bought the Adventure Pass to get a taste of what the Great Wolf Lodge offered and overall, we did enjoy ourselves. But the facility seemed to be understaffed. For example, the VR Adventure was staffed by one person who, not only had to set up participants to play and also work the register but then also run over to handle the mini golf section. Having only one employee working multiple stations, really kept us waiting excessively longer than necessary. The same thing could be said about the towel station outside the water park. There was a long line just to either pick up towels or to return them. It's just seemed like an easy solution to place one more employee to expedite this service. The Great Wolf Lodge is obviously a successful venture but for our money, we wouldn't be motivated to return anytime soon.

Very decent place to bring the kids. Fun slides. I ordered a cabana for day two of our stay and overall it was worth the money. Our first server never showed up and I had to wait and line twice in order to get it rectified. However the food and beverage manager was extremely professional and well mannered. Was able to calm me All the way down and provided me a new server within minutes. My new server Iraam was absolutely incredible and made the rest of our stay a happy one. I will be returning and plan on recommending this place as well

Overall rating is definitely 5 star.
I’ve been reading other reviews and people need to have realistic expectations. Yes it’s a family place and yes it’s loud and yes kids are running crazy all hopped up on sugar and excitement and yes it is crowded so expect to wait for some things. Don’t go if you are looking for rest and relaxation.
My kids had a great time. The staff was super friendly and some genuinely seemed to love their job. Our room was clean and we had everything we needed.
My one piece of advice is be careful with your pool towels. You have to scan your room key to pick them up and if you don’t scan to return you have to pay for them. This wasn’t clearly communicated to us and the kids just placed the towels in the dirty bin. I was charged $60 for towels we did not keep.
I would still recommend for families with younger kids. Just pack your patience!!

I came here not really knowing what to expect, but I was surprised. They have a mini golf, arcade, climbing course, bowling, water parks, hot tubs, water slides, the list just goes on. The thing you do here is stay a few nights, in a hotel room. The hotel rooms are very clean and are in good condition. The water slides are very thrilling, but are still very safe. My favorite water slide is the otter run, where you cross your arms and go down on your back. The hot tub is also one of my favorites because there is this one part where you go outside in the hot tub. I personally think it is best to go here during the winter. This is a great place to take your family, and your kids.

This was our first time at Great Wolf, and we will definitely be back! We stayed for one night (Mon/Tues) and found it to be busy, but not crowded. (I don't think I would come on a weekend or school vacation week!) My almost 4yo toddler loved all the small slides and wave pool. Towels and life vests all included, no need to bring those from home. As people have said here, the rooms (particularly the showers and carpeting) could use some updating, which is why i gave it 4 stars. But everything was clean and we constantly observed staff cleaning throughout the resort. Service was great - all the staff and food service workers we encountered were very polite and friendly. Lifeguards were diligent and watched swimmers carefully. People have commented that this place is a "money pit," but it doesn't have to be. We nixed the "pup pass" and our young kiddo fully enjoyed all the free activities and water park alone. When you stay over, you get to use water park both days. (See pic for activities) Tip: the wolf ears are complimentary when you stay over and you can bring your own glow sticks or light up wands from home for the dance parties! Perhaps older kids will feel more inclined to play the arcade games and other games you have to pay additional money for. We brought a small cooler with drinks, snacks and fruit and ate buffet meals in the dining room as opposed to the louder, quick service options - food was decent. We will definitely be back, maybe just do day passes since we only live an hour away.

We had a decent stay. That being said many things didn't work from systems, to arcade games, many things were out of order from elevators to parts of the magic game to one of the water slides. The staff we encountered work quite nice however there were not enough of them and the week at many of the activities was very long including an hour to rock climb. While they were about five places for children to rock climb only one child can climb at a time due to staffing. It was a magical place for our children however it was a little disappointing that they just couldn't do a little more to make the overall experience sweet. None of the issues were large but they were disappointed at a little frustrating. including placing to go orders online to find out we still had two-way quite a while because they were not prepared for the volume that they had. The day was Good Friday so they should have had a good sense of just how many people were be staying at their resort. We will probably try it again but will hope for a better experience overall.

Pretty good experience overall. Just an hour drive and easy to get to right off the highway. The inside water park has a lot of options and plenty of staff/lifeguards. Pretty mean of them to have you walk right through the arcade to get there! Clean, spacious rooms with everything you need. It wasn’t very clear to me where to get Dunks from the app, nor was it clear when the buffet was open but a quick call down to front desk helped. I can see my family coming back next year. Would recommend to any family.

A great place for families with lots of fun activities and an excellent indoor water park. Rooms are spacious and well appointed and the resort has more to do than can be experienced in a weekend. Food was good though not outstanding, as it was your standard American fare and no one had any complaints. The resort is a bit out there with other restaurants a reasonable but not quick drive away. This is a great place to visit for short stays and gets very busy on the weekends.

AMAZING! Our favorite spot to relax and to buy wine. We also go every year for apple picking, best place to do it. Try the Estate Riesling and the Maidens Blush. I always have headaches with wines but NOT with theirs, they are absolutely amazing, the also have good beers and whisky, definitely do the tour, its really good and you can try different wines and you keep your glass. Everything about this place is awesome.

Girls day wine tasting with small plates served. We loved it! It felt so rustic, big, open, homey, and welcoming. Plenty of choices of wine and the small plates were a perfect compliment. Our server, Katherine, was terrific! When I left I grabbed a bottle of wine, jar of spicy chili bacon jam, and olive salad. All delicious. Can't wait to come back.

Love this place, great atmosphere and nice people! Can get a little busy on days with nice weather(go figure) So be prepared to make a reservation ahead of time if you choose to go on one of those days, otherwise you could find it difficult to find a seat, especially later on in the day.
Have tried the sweeter wines so far and my favorite is the After Dinner Peach. Really enjoyed the port wine Azule and the Marion desert wine.
Can't wait to try the rest.

We spent a lovely afternoon yesterday and the new set up is fantastic! It was busy but not chaotic and the service was outstanding. I had the roasted veggie wrap and it was delicious! We were able to shop without being mobbed and my wine rack is now very happy! We will be back!!

What a busy little place! Kid and dog friendly. There is apple picking when in season. Over 10 different kinds of apples to choose from. The grounds have so many picnic tables, umbrella tables and a huge coveted patio upstairs and down to sit under. The store has a great selection of wines, beet, and distilled liquors all made on the premises. We went on a Saturday and it was very busy, stand in lines busy, but you moved fairly fast. You can purchase a Nashoba winery etched glass for $4.00 along with your bottle of wine you can drink, outside. They check ids then put a paper bracelet on your wrist. There are cheeses and crackers for sales. Multiple food options outside to choose from. A great place to sit back and talk and enjoy a nice bottle of wine and food with.

Perfect New England afternoon spent here with a friend after we visited Fruitlands park last. Idyllic setting outdoors. Musician playing was really good. Plenty of free parking, outdoor or covered patio tables and wheelchair accessible. Dog friendly. Gluten friendly. Amazing wine! Fresh and delicious apps. BBQ food truck as well. Lovely staff. All around perfection. Can’t wait to bring my mom here. The Apple Cranberry wine was the best!!

Flights for tasting at outside table are $12 for maybe an ounce per wine. Not even equating to half glass of wine for the whole flight. Way overpriced for what we got. Food was expensive for the portion we got. Not my favorite place. Maybe the tasting tour is different but we ordered from outside because we had children with us.
We received a plastic cup and 5 tubes of wine that barely filled the bottom of the cup. I would expect a flight to at least provide quarter cup sampling to truly taste flavors. The cost for bottle was more valuable- I do have to say that I enjoyed the bottle of blush that I got but was disappointed in the flight sampling

Beautiful day beautiful location. We didn’t have reservations so we showed up, bought our wine outside to make our own wine tasting, bought some nibbles and sat on the bench. Perfect! Dog friendly as well. Lovely winery.

Usually, I don't write a review, but I got very upset with this winery today.
I made a reservation a month in advance for my birthday.
I had 12 people invited, and unfortunately, I'm not allowed to bring a birthday cake.
I HAVE to buy their birthday cake if I want to celebrate it.
They rather lose money and make 12 new customers than have me bring my cake.
Thank you very much for avoiding me to go to your winery.
I'm glad I already found another place to go (last minute).

Website says in big bold letters that reservations are not required for sitting outside and ordering food/drinks. All of the tables had reserved signs when we got there. Luckily there was one table open. Food took 45 minutes to receive. Was supposed to get a text when the food was ready and when it wasn’t I asked a worker about it and she said she would check on it but never did. I had to walk up to the food counter multiple times before finally I just stood there and then suddenly my food was ready. All we ordered were three street tacos and the pretzels. Unfortunately the food was not worth the wait. We did not enjoy the wine either. We will not be back.

Nashoba Valley Vineyard in Bolton, MA offers a quintessential New England experience that is perfect for a day out with friends and family. Their summer concert series is a must-attend, offering an inviting atmosphere with its well-spaced picnic tables. The serene pond and tastefully designed tasting rooms add to the overall ambiance, making the experience even more delightful.
One of the highlights is the patio that overlooks the sprawling vineyard— a perfect backdrop for sipping a glass of wine. The venue is both kid and dog-friendly, which means the whole family can revel in an afternoon outing here.
Ordering is a breeze thanks to their user-friendly online app, and the efficient runners will bring your wine right to your table. On occasion, you'll also find food trucks, allowing for some great food and wine pairing opportunities.
While the wine may not rival what you'll find in Napa Valley, it's pretty solid for a New England vineyard. Giving it four stars, I'd say that what it may lack in wine sophistication, it more than makes up for in ambiance and friendliness. It's definitely a place worth visiting multiple times throughout the summer.

Gorgeous venue with tons of picnic tables with umbrellas and shaded patio space. Monday afternoon was quiet but I imagine it gets quite busy with the multiple outdoor bars and food service stations. The beer menu was good and the pretzels were fine! (Spinach artichoke dip was meh).) The wine sampler was mostly a little sweet for my taste but overall this was a lovely experience sitting at their gorgeous location for a snack and drink! They even have an apple orchard.

Great setting for groups or families of all ages. Plenty of parking spaces and outdoor seating area, with nice view thou. The staffs explained everything we need to know clearly. The food menu has offered good varieties. We used our phone to order and pay by scanning the QR provided on each table. Drinks brought to our table and I picked up the food after a “ready” text message received. Overall was a good experience, especially the weather was really nice that day.

We did a wine tasting with McKinley (who I'm told only works on Sundays). It was so delightful and fun. He's clearly very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and impressively and effortlessly handled multiple parties at once and never at the expense of one party over another.
I've been to this location many times for both the store and orchard but this was the first time I went for the indoor and guided and wine tasting. Glad I finally did!

Had a great time! Parking and navigating the facilities was easy, long and varied selection of wines (beer, cider and spirits too), delicious food, very reasonably priced, beautiful buildings (I’m sure the grounds look great in not-winter!) and, most importantly, absolutely fantastic staff. Will definitely be coming back!

Such a beautiful place to enjoy the winery outside. They do have a tour of the winery or a indoor tour of your choosing on the variety of housemade wines and more.
Outside in the pavilion you can sit under the umbrella benches, order food or drinks and enjoy the scenery.
Home of the NFL’s New England Patriots, this jumbo stadium with coastal accents also hosts concerts.
Great Place, Staff was very Helpful especially for a person on crutches the view from the top level is Great as you can see from the pics. Prices for food/drinks pricie but just like most other stadiums. Great Experience for my 1st time, Definitely planning on going to see the Patriots Hall of Fame & also Patriots Place 👍

I delivered a load of office chairs to the Stadium. I was amazed by all of the work that was being done. Pouring concrete, building new rooms, and restaurants. Truly amazing. People were so friendly even though I was wearing my Bills hat and my truck had a Bills fan license plate. It was a great experience for me.

Got to experience a snow game at Gillette, truly an incredible experience. Have been to three games now and really enjoy the stadium, but crazy as it sounds seeing it in the snow made it so much better.
Gillette is a unique NFL stadium as it’s located pretty far from a true urban area. You can really see this sitting in the nosebleeds, just forest in all directions. This means it can be challenging getting out of the area after the game if you drive. There is a train for $10 that goes here specifically for games and concerts from both Providence and Boston, this is personally my favorite way to get to and from Gillette.
Another cool aspect is the lighthouse, you can apparently pay to go up and see the field from that vantage. Additionally, Patriot Place Mall provides a lot of dining and shopping options for before and after the game. Definitely grateful to have had some memorable experiences at this iconic stadium!

Wicked nice stadium. Beautiful restaurants and "town" outside of the actual stadium with a large variety of shops.
The price for food and beer was absurdly expensive at Gillette. Clean facilities.
Went for Monster Jam, loved every second of it. This stadium is MASSIVE and has ample parking (price varies depending on the event being hosted)

Have been to a few Patriots games the last few years. Some recent parking changes have made getting into Patriots games somewhat easier. General parking (across Rte 1) is now free! This makes getting into the stadium much quicker. They also now have delayed exit lots where they PAY YOU to park there (but you're not allowed to leave until 90 minutes AFTER the game ends). I would actually do this next time - a $75 Visa gift card is worth it to me.
The stadium itself is very good. No obstructed seats, and the suites are pretty roomy. Food in the suites is somewhat average but hey, you're in a suite being served food and drinks with a private bathroom, so who's to complain about average food. Entry through the stadium gates is simple - just scan your e-ticket and you're through. There is always ample stadium personnel available to help you and they are always VERY friendly. The lighthouse just opened and for $5, you can go up and get a great view of the field and surrounding areas.
Patriot Place is filled with various restaurants and shops (plenty to do especially if you're waiting to leave from those delayed exit parking lots).

Real nice stadium great views all around. No issues getting down near field for pregame warm-ups. Traffic to and from stadium not the best because you're on route 1 with limited access to get to the highway. Felt safe. All around good experience.

Excelente place to come with your family. Depend of the game, tickets are a little expensive, but the experience specialty with kids. I highly recommended. Great and very easy access to parking lot. Gillette is a great place to see Taylor Swift because Taylor Swift is epic and her production is fantastic. To that extent, my experiences there have been great. But the parking and road management leaving is absolutely stupid, and really badly designed. I'm pretty sure it is a safety hazard to funnel thousands of people exiting the main entrance up a stairwell (to the shopping area) to cross a road packed in like sardines. Thankfully no one fell, but the stairs in a crowd like that is just not safe and I'm pretty sure that has got to be some kind of code violation. It took 45 minutes just to walk across the street. Leaving the parking and getting onto the road was okay once we reached the car, but again they shut down any turns on the road for at least five miles if not more and it's bumper to bumper the whole time because no one can exit that road. It's the stupidest set-up imaginable. But, for the rare occasions Taylor performs there, I'll deal with it. There is literally no one else on earth I would endure the Gillette exit hellscape for. Obviously they should put in pedestrian bridges or tunnels to cross over/under the road to the satellite parking across the street. It's truly the stupidest stadium design I have ever seen.

Nice venue for a concert, though the sound was actually kind of s*%t--not sure if this was because of where our seats were. We were in section 129 and sound was very fuzzy. Bummer. Very easy to get into and out of. I expected it to be worse getting out. We did notice that people who paid $50 and $60 for parking in the private lots (gas stations, etc. along Rte. 1) had a longer walk to the stadium and back to their cars and still had to deal with traffic on the way out, possibly even more than those of us coming out of general parking. Save your money and use general parking.

Game was good seats are good, however if you have knee or hip problems and you want an elevator good luck, elevators are locked and you have to walk a 1/4 of the stadium to get to an elevator in the club section.

Went to a concert at this stadium. Although it was raining on the day we went the stadium was very nice. Lots of places to buy drinks, treats, and concert memorabilia. Easy to get in and out with lots of staff and state troopers to guide us along. You have to walk to and from the parking areas but it wasn't too far to go. At the end of the concert, the state troopers closed off part of the double highway. There were 5 lanes all going one way, so leaving was not as difficult as I thought it would be. I'd definitely like to go back someday.

The last two times I came to the Patriots game I had really great seats! but too bad they lost both times! but other than that it's always so fun to tailgate before the game, if you don't tailgate then you can walk around the outside shops. There's so many different things for you to do with your children if you have children & or go on a date night.

Able to go to Gillette for the first time. Stadium is beautiful and all the staff was incredible. Well run machine. Only negative for us was the no cash/ visa only. It's understandable with sponsorship ties. Seating, food, and everything was great. People who sat around us were super. Not one bad thing for the day.

Billy Joel & Stevie Nicks we’re amazing!! The whole show was awesome and they played all of the hits. Though, there was a huge problem with Gillette that should be spread to everyone if they buy tickets up in the 300’s. The view of the stage is nearly blurry and the screens don’t even help. Whole show it rained and everybody’s view was getting blocked as people kept walking up and down the aisle stairs. The pictures may look not that far away but it really was. Another complaint is that we tried to find our parking spot and an hour later we found it. Multiple security workers told us to go all different ways and one of them told us to go walk on the side of the road. The last complaint is that they didn’t even use the brand new big screens they just added in. Everyone was complaining. Felt like a wet dog after the show too. Bought food inside the venue and it was surprisingly cheap. $15 for a burger and French fry meal. Definitely a good venue to attend as long as it’s not raining and you gotta have good seats. Will be returning for Metallica next year, I hope I will be pleased….

We love going to Gillette stadium for Revs games. I am not a stadium expert by any measure, but the concrete looks really great, the seats all seem to fold nicely, and most importantly there is a really nice area in the middle for sporting and dancing. I think Taylor Swift loved it there briefly last summer, so if you are into dancing and singing then you may love it there too.

The greatest place I have been in a long time I am from Houston and a huge Patriots fan and seeing this stadium for the first time in my life up close and personal. It was amazing to me and it's different especially with stores around as if a big mall before entering the stadium.
This was my first time visiting Kringle Candle and it was a great indoor holiday festive experience. A sweets shop, teas, candles, ornaments, make your own perfume area, a place to see Santa and much more. Plenty of parking.

Kringle Candle has the best candles with a variety of scents. They are always creating new scents that keep us candle lovers happy. The Kringle Candle offers soy wax in a beautiful jar & their Country Candle in colorful paraffin wax. The candles are always delivered & packaged well with no breakage. I have numerous candles from this company that I could open my own store, but it's still exciting to try a new scent that they create. The owner has done YouTube videos & is friendly as he explains these wonderful candles. I hope one day I can visit their store. We were heading north on Interstate 91 and missed the exit to Yankee Candle, so we decided to check out Kringle Candle which Is a bit further north. I was totally impressed with the store. They went all out on decorating for the Christmas season. It’s definitely something that everyone should check out this time of year. The quality of their candles and the variety of scents is comparable to Yankee. The prices were actually better here than Yankee Candle but still ridiculous for a jar of scented wax. In my opinion, Kringle was the better store between the two candle giants here in Massachusetts because of their store wide Christmas feel. Yankee had just a small section decorated for Christmas. It doesn’t seem the same as it used to in the past.

5 stars for Kevin! He works in the oil/vinegar section and is wonderful and helpful! He created a few oil/vinegar blends (including creamsicle!) For us to try and they were amazing! Left with several oils/vinegars and some new recipes to try! Candle options seemed a bit lacking from years past, but that may have been due to the store wide sale!
Ariana Miller — Google review
As someone who used to make and sell candles I can not possibly say enough about the high quality of Kringle. Most companies sadly don’t invest in insuring their candles burn correctly or evenly (yeah I’m talking about you, Yankee candle 🤨). These burn 100% perfectly right to the edges of the jar without deep pooling of wax and they smell beyond amazing! I will never buy any other brand again.

Kringle Candles are simply the best…best in fragrances, quality and aesthetics. The price point may feel a bit high, but know that you’re getting top-dollar quality in return. My most recent order was the first one I’ve made in awhile, and I was immediately reminded of what caused me to fall in love with them from the beginning. I’m completely under their spell, and convinced that you’ll be, too.

The Worcester Art Museum is a magnificent institution that showcases an extensive assortment of artwork spanning from ancient to modern times. The collection boasts European masterpieces, sculptures, and relics arranged in a well-organized fashion, along with special exhibitions. Additionally, the museum features a Gothic house and the Higgins collection of medieval arms and armor. Visitors can also enjoy the National Portrait Gallery's collection while friendly staff and docents assist them throughout their visit.
This is a fantastic art museum with a wide array of well organized paintings, sculptures, relics, and special exhibits. We went specifically for the Higgins collection of medieval arms and armor. I also enjoyed the collection from the National Portrait Gallery. Staff and docents were friendly, and the scavenger hunt for my 9yo son was fun. With the holidays, they also had decorated trees, a guest train layout, and various activities from ice carving to hands-on armor tryouts. The proximity to parks and historical sites makes WAM and Worcester overall a great day trip.

Such a cool museum! They have a variety of different kids of art (painting, sculpture, pottery, carvings, etc) from several different cultures and time periods including a reconstructed cathedral room. A gorgeous art museum found in the second largest city in Massachusetts. While most tourists may gravitate to the museums in Boston, this one should not be overlooked. Their permanent collection consists of art and items from around the globe and include the Higgins Armory Collection after that museum closed several years ago. The rotating galleries always feature a new, fascinating collection. I'm fortunate enough to have seen the Jewels of the Nile exhibit and was blown away by the presentation. Truly a must visit for art lovers!

This is always a fun local visit for me and my family. I am currently a New England Museum Association (NEMA) member and can visit for free plus one guest. I probably visit every other year when I want to see the latest new exhibit. My one complaint is that the Egyptian art was replaced by medieval art when the WAM received the collections of Higgins Armory.

Children (under 17) ticket price is free.
Adults ticket price is 14 dollars.
There are discounts for people in WPI.

Seriously cool place. Loved that they added things to make the museum more accessible/interesting to children without seeming pandering or watering down the content. This place is a visual feast for all ages. Loved that some exhibits included information or video on how the object was relocated and put up for display. Gift shop is nifty too.

A wonderful gem so close to home! Special points for being fully handicap accessible, even in a snow covered winter month like January in New England. We were drawn to visit by the museum because of the Rembrandt exhibit of beautiful (yet tiny) etchings. Spent about four hours exploring and know there was much more that we were forced to save for another visit. Easy to get to, plenty of accessible parking, great wheelchair ramps, friendly, polite, and helpful staff — a great outing with my dad. Highly recommend WAM. And while you’re in town, some other beautiful old church buildings and other architecture if you’re into that sort of thing. The Roman and Greek sculpture is always my favorite, but many individual galleries of painters, sculptures, medieval armor and weapons, beautiful mosaics, and more. I’ll post a few photos, but didn’t take very many.

Loved the art, the music and the area dining. it was a lovely afternoon!

Big museum with lots of different exhibits on display. We liked the armor, and the ancient materials from BCE. Many paintings, carvings, and collections. The Antioch Mosaic is huge, beautiful and amazing. The Chapter house is a reconstructed castle room - dissembled and reconstructed piece by piece inside the museum!
The exhibits change frequently so things can be different each time you go.

Eclectically displayed collection. Some rare, unexpected, and off-the-beaten-path works of art. If you're here for the armor (like me) be forewarned that it is randomly and nonsensically distributed throughout this large museum. The lighting is a crime; I could not see many paintings because of the glare. I found an engaging and knowledgeable docent who greatly enhanced my visit. Would definitely come again!

Absolutely delightful! Finally visited with my 2 boys. Sadly we arrived after school and the museum closes at 4pm so we couldn't see the upper floors.
The staff is so friendly and very helpful. We had a great brief history of medieval weapons and armour which my boys enjoyed very much.
They have a diversity of art work, from paintings to sculptures and jewelry.
We will definitely be visiting again

Fairly large art museum located in Worcester about an hour from Boston. General admission is not free but parking is free. Food options are extremely limited. We came to see the temporary Rembrandt etchings exhibit which was excellent. The permanent exhibits are extensive and we didn’t try to see everything but we enjoyed the impressionist paintings particularly. There are activities specifically for kids. Lots of stairs but grandma can take the elevator.

We visited on 1st sunday of july which means we got a free entry. Loved how a heavy rainy day turned fruitful by visiting this absolutely beautiful museum. Loved all the arts and artworks here. Parking is free and might be a tiny bit difficult to park if you go 1st sunday of a month.

A well designed art museum having a wide variety of paintings, sculpture and most surprisingly a whole mosaic from Ancient Turkey. Unfortunately several rooms are closed and the elevator is not working. Parking free and spacious. The museum officers are kind and friendly. There some educational activities for children on weekends. You can reserve your tickets cheaper by using your local library network.
The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts is a lavish venue that showcases local productions and traveling Broadway shows in a Renaissance-style setting. It boasts of artistic excellence, with talented professionals performing both theatre and plays. The staff is friendly, and parking is convenient. The theatre requires proof of vaccination and masks to ensure public health during the ongoing pandemic.
If you haven't been and taken advantage of this beautiful theatre you're missing a great opportunity. The artistry of both theatre and plays with such wonderful artists is something you're missing out on and is a shame to miss.

We saw the musical Jagged Little Pill here the other night (GREAT show!) from last minute seats high in the balcony.
Unfortunately there’s an obtrusive railing running the width of the section that made seeing the stage incredibly challenging.
Then a couple arrived late to sit in the previously empty seats in front of us and we realized that the angle of the seating here is also an issue, because though they were not tall (and we’re not short) we could see next to nothing. We wound up moving to the very top row with empty seats below us and it was preferable to sitting several rows lower in our purchased seats.
So kind of a bummer, but it’s a beautiful theatre, refreshments are well priced, and the staff was charming. Trying to dine in the area before (on a Saturday) was very difficult as most places were closed and what was open required reservations, which we didn’t have. (TIP: Avoid the sub place, Ziggy Bombs, whatever you do!) Parking in the indoor lot across the street had an event price of $20, which was expensive but to be expected.
A wonderful night overall but we’d never choose those seats again.

Nice theater in the heart of Worcester. I've seen multiple shows, from A Christmas Carol to Beetlejuice and I've always enjoyed myself. The seats are comfortable and the ushers are very helpful. The stage and sound is top notch. My only complaint and it may not bother everyone is when they open the main doors but not theater doors it forces the crowd to be bottlenecked in the stairwell.

The Nutcracker performance was festive and fun. The theater was beautiful and the staff was friendly. Parking was easy. I was grateful that proof of vaccine and masks are required. The family of six behind us was coughing, sniffling and sneezing throughout the performance and only partially kept their masks on. It’s still a pandemic. If you’re sick, stay home.

Amazing historical esthetics and architecture. Gorgeous and breath taking inside. My son thought we were in a castle! The seats and facility was clean and the ushers and staff were overly caring and understanding when the venue was too loud for my 3 year old. They even put a TV streaming the show on for us and carried over a bench for us to sit and watch the show from the lobby. The concession stand was very reasonably priced and though I don't endulge, I saw multiple kinds of alcoholic drinks in other parents hands. In all it was an incredibly unforgettable experience. I recommend you try it out

The show was great. My seats in orchestra left row. Z were horrible no room compared to the rest of the seats and rows so one comfortable it ruined the night I’m a tall, big guy with a bad hip. I always get aisle seats to make it more comfortable for me that didn’t help tonight no where did it say anything about this row being different from the rest of the rows and I probably paid the same price as people in front of me that had so much more room

The LAST thing you'd EVER expect in Worcester: BUT, the Hanover is a STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL full-fledged Broadway-quality level Theater 🎭. It rivals the Trinity Repertory Theater in Providence, R.I. (which is affiliated with Brown's Graduate Theater Program).; & the Emerson Majestic Theater in Boston; which is owned by Emerson College.
SO, when I applied to Clark University, I was THRILLED to find out (as a Theater/Film student), that I could actually take courses/audition for and perform at the Hanover Conservatory. Even though I went elsewhere for my undergraduate college years (further West in MA in Amherst), I still was impressed by Clark and The Hanover's affiliation. I've seen some of the shows presented by the Hanover, it's world-class quality Theater.
Ben Schaeffer — Google review
The Hanover Theatre website online ticket sales system is glitchy. Your credit card may get charged but sales receipts and tickets never issued. The box office staff will indicate no knowledge of how the payment systems work if you call for help, and they are rude and unhelpful. Should you manage to obtain tickets and attend a show, you'll find that the volunteer ushers also are rude and unhelpful. The last time I attended, the ushers shut and blocked the doors to seating five minutes before the scheduled Intermission ended, forcing me and several other theatre-goers to miss most of the second half of the show. No explanation, apology, or refund was offered. I will not be returning to this theatre.

Been going here since they opened in 2008. And ive performed here a few times too! It's a great theater tucked right in the middle of downtown worcester! Lots of traveling shows come through! Their parking garage is right across the street and lots of restaurants in the area to enjoy before the show!!! I recommend making reservations at a nearby resteraunt, parking at the parking garage, and walking over to enjoy some good eats at your place of choice before the show!
This time we saw Beetlejuice! Highly highly recommend the show and this venue!

What a great visit we had while attending a performance of “A Christmas Carol”. I was so impressed with all manner of the production, from the sets and scenery, the music, lighting to the acting. I am looking forward to viewing more productions at The Hanover Theater very much and can highly recommend doing so.

Don't let the outside construction ward you off from coming inside to see a show. The line moved seamlessly. Well staffed. Bathrooms were clearly marked and very clean. I sat in gold circle orchestra. The seats were comfortable and there was plenty of leg room. The sound system was great. Lighting was amazing. I liked that there were no stairs, it was sloped and carpeted. The drink prices were reasonable. Bottled water was 3.00. Easy in and out of the theater. I will attend again now that I know how amazing this page is.

Paid $180, saw no show. Be aware they do not cancel or refund shows even during a blizzard. Supporting the arts becomes a risk-reward proposition. I like to support theater, but I usually like to see a performance with that support.

We went for the Christmas lights what a fantastic time we had. It was worth the carload ticket price. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to go next year. What a beautiful display of lights. You actually drive through the zoo and look at all the lights.

One of the best zoos in mass, honestly just great for family’s & lots to see around the pretty decent sized zoo. Camels rides are fun for the kids, hand feeding the animals like the goats as well as the baby goats. The zoo also has food & drinks that you can purchase & as well as a restaurant. The make your own slushy machine was great. Overall fantastic zoo that should be a go to in the summers with family & friends.

Awesome Zoo! Spacious with loads of activities and things to do. The animals seem very well cared for and the staff is super friendly. I would recommend their restaurant instead of the little food islands they have there. The food is on the $$$ side, but VERY tasty. We had the bang bang shrimp and my 4 year old devoured it. We also went around the park in “animal ride ons” and while those do need an adult with the child, the weight limit is 450 lbs, so, makes it enjoyable for lots of sizes. All in all, amazing experience and we will be coming back.

In a very cute town where I love looking at the houses and scenery before getting to the zoo. This place is definitely the best zoo in New England as they have more variety of animals to see than the others. They even have a few rides. I wouldn’t recommend the train as there was nothing to see and not worth the price. The others were cute and fun. Love the fact that they have many snacks and food options and the fact that you can bring your own drinks and food there as well!
Valerie Viengngeune — Google review
We absolutely love this zoo. The exhibits are awesome, as well as the different things to do. The train ride is so fun, and the kids love the camel ride. The petting zoo part is adorable. And the deer forest where you can walk along the deer is so unique and cute. The ONLY semi downside is how steep the hills can be so if you have a stroller it could be a bit more challenging but there's ways around the steepness also. Oh, and the restaurant is super yummy.

Love the feel of this zoo! It’s not too big but not too small. We’ve gone several time and always had a great time! The bird show is a must see. And make sure you bring quarters to feed the deer in the forest.

Best zoo experience! The walk around the park moves at a nice pace and even for a discount weekend day the crowds were not bad and the lines to see exhibits were nonexistent. The animals are all in nice enclosures but they’re all easy to see and take pictures of from the path. The two interactive animal enclosures were a lot of fun and highly recommended. Great overall experience!

What a great zoo! This is one of the best zoos I have ever been to and hands down the best I’ve been to in Massachusetts. Definitely better than Franklin Park Zoo.
It’s big, surrounded by nature and interwoven with it; the animals have spacious enclosures and seem very well taken care of. Everything is clean and well-maintained. There is a lot of knowledgeable staff interspersed throughout and very happy to tell you about the animals. The bird training area was also great - we got to see the staff training some of the birds and they gave us lots of very detailed explanations about all the birds.
Overall I really got the sense that they care about the animals and about educating visitors rather than some zoos where you just stroll through, gawk at the animals and leave none the wiser.

Southwick Zoo’s transformation into a Winter Wonderland is a spectacle that truly captures the magic and wonder of the season. This extraordinary light and sound show is not just visually stunning but also an immersive experience that delights visitors of all ages.
Our visit, with our daughter and cousins, was nothing short of enchanting. The children were absolutely captivated by the dazzling displays and the interactive elements of the event. Meeting the Grinch in a beautifully recreated Whoville was a highlight, bringing a beloved holiday story to life. Adding to the charm was the wandering magician, whose tricks and performances added an element of wonder and excitement.
The live musical performance by Disney’s Frozen characters, Princess Anna and Elsa, was a dream come true for the little ones. The performance was not only entertaining but also beautifully executed, making it a memorable part of our visit.
The Winter Wonderland experience at Southwick Zoo has all the makings of a cherished family tradition. Its ability to create such a festive and joyous atmosphere is commendable. Furthermore, the zoo’s commitment to maintenance and operation is evident, which makes us eager to return for a visit in the summer months as well.
Southwick Zoo’s Winter Wonderland is a fantastic seasonal destination that offers a unique and delightful experience for families. It’s a perfect way to indulge in the holiday spirit and create lasting memories. We’re already looking forward to making this a recurring family outing.

Southwick Zoo has plenty of animals for the whole family to learn and enjoy as you walk to several trails throughout the zoo. There's plenty of toddler rides and concession stands to provide a variety of yummy treats for the entire family. Lastly, don't forget to drive through for The Illuminations during Christmas time. It doesn't disappoint. And there's even a traveling circus with tent and performing dogs and acrobatics.

This place is absolutely fantastic. I’ve visited a few times and took some amazing pictures of the wildlife that is there. It is clear that the staff really do care for the animals and provide clean and big enclosures for their animals to exhibit their natural behaviors. Of course, no zoo will ever be able to replicate the wild entirely but they are doing their best and it clearly shows. There’s plenty of activities for kids to do and plenty of fun for adults as well. There are food stops around the zoo to grab a quick snack as well as gift shops and I especially like the skyfari ride that lets you see the whole zoo from a Birdseye view. I would definitely recommend visiting this place.

Really nice zoo with lots of activities for kids. The paths are stroller friendly and it’s a large space so you don’t really feel over crowded. The cafe has good wraps, but it’s super expensive. The petting zoo and open deer park are a lot of fun.

Best Zoo I have visited in New England!! We arrived later in the afternoon and ran out of time but it was a wonderful preview of what we can look forward to on our next visit. It is clean, an enormous variety of animals and lots of places to get snacks or meals. Also a really nice restaurant on site independent of the smaller, quicker places to eat. You can tell the animals are taken care of and looked after. Lastly, a SKY-RIDE which goes over the entire zoo, a TRAIN RIDE you can take which is really relaxing with great scenery, and then a PETTING ZOO (goats 🐐 were adorable and a bit on the smaller size which makes them perfect for younger children - I will say they can be just a little bit aggressive especially when you are getting ready to feed them the pellets, so try to prepare the younger/more gentle children).
**The one disappointing factor... Zoo closed at 4pm and we arrived just before 3pm. We assumed there would be a discounted admission fee since there was an hour left. But we were charged full price. $85.00 for 2 adults/1 child!! We won't assume again but that is the one suggestion I would make. Most parks offer that type of fee reduction.

A beautiful zoo to visit! It was our first time here. Lots to see kangaroos, rhinos, beautiful birds and the deer Forest. We spent 4 hours here! it was well worth it my girls loved it. They fed the goats and pet them too. My wife enjoyed looking at the giraffe.

Wonderful zoo. There is a huge amount to see. The deer forest was wonderful and it was so fun to be close to the animals. The place is quite hilly though and you need to walk a lot to see everything. The employees usually hang around the enclosures and will answer questions or provide facts about the animals which I thought was great.

One of my favorite places. Animals are all very well taken care of as I know the owner and her family. They've paved alot of the paths so its much easier to push a wheelchair or stroller. And they've added to their exhibits so it's even bigger now! Staff is always super nice and informative. Gallifords restaurant is a great addition too!

A delightful zoo that is well worth the trip! I've never experienced a zoo that features a walk-through deer forest, it's a massive enclosed area with hundreds of deer, and for 50 cents, you can get a handful of dried corn to give to the deer, who will follow you around and interact with you for it. This alone is worth the entry, but there's a lot more, Bengal Tigers, Snow Leopards, Tapirs, Capybara, and Hyenas! I highly recommend this zoo - even on off weather days.
Chris Purple — Google review
I like how shaded the zoo is. Was hot out but with the shade it made it comfortable to walk and enjoy the zoo. PLENTY of monkeys. Wish they had elephants. Love the playground and the carousel for the kiddos. Few different options for food. Prices as you would expect $$. They had a few places to buy souvenirs along the way. Again pricey, as expected. The deer forest was neat to walk through. Didn’t go on the lift above the park. (I got there kinda late) but it looks neat. All in all will definitely go back

One of the best zoos I’ve visited in a very very long time. The zoo is very well kept and clean. Plenty of room for the animals and the habitat also looks comfortable. Can't get enough of this place. We have been visiting this place every year for almost a decade now. Very peaceful, clean, everything is kept natural, great staff and so many activities available for all ages groups. Just pick a date and walk in. Tickets are available online and at the window. Great food options. Great shows lined up throughout the day. Awesome renovated playground. Worlds best deer 🦌 park. I don't think you will find it anywhere else. This time the kids tried the Maze and Zip lining and had the best time . The Gallifords restaurant has awesome gourmet pizza and mashed potatoes for a veggie soul like me. The petting zoo and a bird sanctuary was fun.
Slot machines, classic table games & upscale restaurants draw crowds to this lively gambling center.
Won pretty big this time around. I have a specific strategy when playing slots. For example I make sure the volume is all the way up. Max bet on quarter machines always also by pressing the different spin buttons. The most I won was a little over 9000. Good luck. Many people say that twin river is good for getting your money so always go to try and enjoy yourself. Good VIBES and create a strategy that seems to work in your favor. You can't win if you don't play but if you play to have fun and never spend more than you can afford to lose you still walk out a winner in a way

Some good parts and some not so good parts. The 5 star for service was the only wow factor and it may sound weird to rate security. They helped me park my truck, gave me the v.i.p ride to hotel and was pleasant the entire weekend. They weren't authoritarian or overbearing at all and were helpful.
The rooms are great and clean, but there is no fridge in rooms so food and drinks I brought all got warm.
The casino is clean and feels new but the place is huge and I got lost many times. I asked several people about restaurants and all they did was point out the fast food court and oriental food court. I chose the oriental place and ordering was confusing, getting my order was confusing and what they gave me looked like slop.
I did find another restaurant as we left but it was confusing to get there and quite a walk from the hotel.
The show I saw was great but for those in the back probably didn't get a great view. The venue staff was very friendly and helpful as well as the check in and check out desk.
I would love to come back but next time I need to research where things are at.

Well if you're going their to gamble that's the place locally in Rhode Island however definitely take your car on this trip. Ripta doesn't really show up as much as I feel they should so prepare to wait give or take a half hour or so if your lucky so I'd also download the "transit" app for live bus arrivals and departures. Now as far as the rooms go , not to bad, clean and comfy. But I didn't go to sleep!! Blackjack tables is where it's at for me, but if that's not your fancy they've got poker and slots and really any other gambling you may want to indulge in. Hopefully all goes well on the tables and you can afford to buy yourself a nice meal at one of the restaurants available. Enjoy!

First time there! Great location, casino and hotel! Very friendly and attentive staff! Walked with you when asking where something was in the casino and made you feel welcomed, unlike other casinos that just blurt out location and let you try to find where you are going to! This casino has greatly improved over the years and it has even added a hotel. The hotel I cannot comment on because I have never stayed there, but it is a good size hotel for the casino and its location. The casino is still being remodeled, but they have a very good variety of gaming machines and plenty of table games. There is also a good variety of restaurants inside plus a pub, an event center and more. The entire upstairs level is nonsmoking which is great for guys like me who don’t want to inhale other peoples exhales. Plus they have free cellphone lockers where you can leave your phone charging and disinfecting while you play (They’re password locked).
They have allot of good shows and concerts here too. Some are free and some are paid admission. The parking lot is huge…so you WILL find parking somewhere.

We went for the casino It's got a small non smoking area. Most of the restaurants are in the smoking area so you have to go through smoke to go eat anything. Which is gross. We did play some slot machines. The place is under construction a bit so you end up walking by that. That can't be helped. It's not a bad casino. It's just very basic and more accommodating to smokers than non smokers.

It has been the fourth time I go there. Every time trying for one thousand dollars. Never won. Weird. Not even a penny.
It is more than bad luck : it is almost like a none generous casino, just a bad experience one.
In the other hand, food there is awesome, especially the subway.
Overall it is a very bad casino for serious gamblers. Like me, those who come to play and really gamble. Not these poor souls who play for twenty bucks and are happy if they win another ten, jumping hilariously. They are small spirits.
But to the real gamblers, I tell them this casino steals. It is not for us. The one in Connecticut is by far far better.

Enjoyed my 2 night stay. Almost didn’t. I had booked my two night stay last week when visiting. The person who booked my room apparently made it for the next day and not the next weekend and wrote me down as a no call no show. Which I was unaware of until I showed up and there was nothing booked under my name or rewards card. The person at the desk ended up finding me a room for the two nights. I didn’t get the king room I originally booked because it was all they had. I had to take what I can get because I live an hour and a half away. Room was nice. Not much of a view. The casino is clean and well kept. Under construction so it’s a bit congested in some places. The food I tried was yummy. Overall I’ll definitely be back.

This rating is strictly for the Hotel. The casino, which used to be a great entertainment place, is mo longer. The hotel is fine, though. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The bed was uber comfortable. The staff was great. And the value was good. I'd recommend the hotel as a place to stay. Don't bother with the casino for shows or dinner or if you're looking for tables under a $25 minimum per hand. Or if you want to have a few drinks while you're there. It'll take you over 30 minutes to get a drink at any bar. Over an hour at the lighthouse bar where they limit you to 1 drink per person at a time. We won't be back.

This place is the worst casino. If you’re Asian or minority, do not come to this place if you have pride. The dealers and their supervisors are most the racist people I have ever encountered. We’re coming from an educated family in Mass and just tried to have fun for holiday. However, it was ended very bad when a racist white dealer named Joanne, female with short hair and her supervisor at the blackjack table were yelling at us like we were subhuman. Don’t even think about file a complaint, there is no one here will help you. Their managers just told us “whatever” when we expressed our concerns. I’m not sure if they ever got their racial bias training done or simply they just never care. We would never step into this casino again but I just want to warn people of the injustice and not to ever come here to support this anti-minority business. We never write any posts to hurt any business as we want to support American businesses but we can’t let this slip. This is not how a proud American business should be ran.

We like going to the casinos in different states if we're nearby just for the experience and atmosphere.
I'm not a gambler and don't like losing money so I never wager more than $10-$20 for the entire visit total.
They had a lot of games. I typically like playing the video poker slots because at least there's some skills or thought involved although everything is random. I did not like the video poker slots here. They didn't have my normal game I play and some of the machines (*obviously the one I played) was broke.
I had to wait forever it seemed about 10 minutes for someone to come fix the machine so I could get my ticket. The buttons wasn't working on two or three slot games I played.
They do have a bar music lounge on the floor however we got there late on a week night so no one was there.
We didn't stay long, maybe 30 minutes if that and left. I don't think big casinos really let too many people walk out with money.
However the experience of enjoying a casino in Rhode Island will still be a time to remember.

They don't serve long-island iced teas here because of 3 shot per drink maximum. STUPID.

Recently.under new management by Bally's, you can tell! Everything here is now SO world class. The casino is laid out like a real casino, the table games are fantastic btw. I enjoy the dice tables myself from time to time. The dealers are all Vegas savvy and friendly. The decor is elegant. The food court is pretty damn good and the restaurants are even better! Also, actual Chinese/Asian food now no longer just American style. Bish improvement if you ask me. The event center is fairly large and spot on. You may want to catch some world class boxing or MMA there. Cigar room too. The main casino floor often has national acts performing for free and the concert hall has AWESOME bands. Love this place, don't spend all your money on the slots, there are so many other fun things to do here!

Very Smokey . Outdated , slots super tight . Table games decent including dealers. Food so so . Crowed could be ghetto specifically on weekends. Watch your belongings. Btw gambling contributes nothing to society. Wish to all addicts kick this destructive habit

Total aggregation in booking a concert package on line. The website wasn’t working, tho I didn’t know this at the time. Didn’t appear to go thru so I called Bally’s, far more times than should have been necessary, to book on line. Only to find out upon arrival that I now had 3 reservations! The hotel front desk team was great and fixed the issue and permitted early check in for the inconvenience. But, the concert tickets included were the worst seats. I could not not say something about this and got upgraded, so all good there. However, the absolute worst aspect of this casino visit was the smoking! Horrible! Smokers everywhere you turn and the filth at the machines from it. We even sought out the most ventilated areas, but still left reeking of smoke and burning lungs. For that reason alone, we won’t be returning until they get with the times and create a more healthy environment for their guests and staff. Other casinos are smoke free and doing very well.

One of the few casinos around I know of that still allows smoking inside throughout the building. For some, it might be a downside, while for others, it's perfect. There are many slot machines and a decent amount of table games, but they always seem to be really crowded any time during the night. One thing I was pleased with was the service at the bars, and it's nice to actually not feel overpriced for a watered-down drink.

When Twin River casino for the first time. We didn't stay at the hotel or dine there. It's a full casino and the appearance is nice. I would not go back for one reason. I am a non smoker when I came but a smoker when I left. OMG the cigarette smoke in the casino is very strong. Everybody is smoking and I smelled like an dirty ashtray including my cloths with in a half hour. It is a health hazard just to be there. They do nothing to change the air in the main room. We went there to see the band that was playing but had to leave with in and hour because of the thick smoke. Yes they have a non smoking area but it's a room with just gaming no entertainment and the food court was closed in the area. They punish the non smokers by not having the same options as the smokers do. It seems to me they should flip and segregate the smokers and have the casino mostly non smoking. Many less people smoke today. It seems they would have more business by being non smoking. I guess I will not be going there again.
Birthplace & home of the famous poet & recluse, now offering exhibits, guided tours & a bookshop.
Wonderful tour experience! The Emily Dickinson Museum was the best museum tour experience I have ever had. The museum has organized tour groups where the tour guide walked the group through The Homestead showing us each room and how it affected Emily's life. The tour experience included not only the story of Emily's life, but also how and why Emily wrote poetry the way that she did. The tour was a very fulfilling experience, and the tour guide made it very special.
Patrick Threatt — Google review
We had an incredible time touring the Homestead and grounds. Our guide, Pete, asked what our interests were and tailored his tour to us. We loved learning about the architecture, family, and viewing props from the show. He was very knowledgeable about the provenance of items and the creation of the museum.
We were also fortunate to attend a free panel that day which was part of the Tell It Slant poetry festival and featured the costume designer and actors who played Lavinia and Austin in the Apple show Dickinson.
The museum is a wonderful steward of their historic homes and beautifully marry the history of the family with modern interests.

This may be my favorite author house/museum to visit. Certainly, I have not found a better one. Most importantly, the genuine love that each person brings to the Emily Dickinson Museum is manifest in every aspect of the museum's public-facing presentation.
To the museum's great credit, the individual personalities (and, vitally, the reasons those individuals love Dickinson) that each individual brings to the table seem to be honored and encouraged. To wit: I have enjoyed the tour of the House and the Evergreens several times, and each time highlighted very different aspects of the poet's life and work. The first time, our guide seemed to focus most on ways of reading Dickinson (believe me, it's a fascinating subject). The second, our guide was most focused on the lives (like loaded guns) that the Dickinsons lived. The third, our guide brought up Thomas Wentworth Higginson enough to make me change my thinking on him (my opinion has become decidedly more favorable as a direct result of this tour). I'm sure that the next time I go, I'll take away more once again.
Beyond this, the museum does an excellent job of crafting outstanding programming. I would recommend the annual walk from the Dickinson house to the poet's grave, which occurs in mid May of the year (in keeping with Dickinson's passing). It's truly a deeply affecting memorial.
If you love Dickinson, you just want to learn some more about this major figure, or you're anywhere in between, visit the Emily Dickinson Museum. You'll be glad you did.

We had a great trip here and my daughter loved learning about Emily Dickinson from a child’s point of view. I think her childhood visit deeply impacted her worldview even as an adult. We are looking forward to returning! We love how complex and intelligent Dickinson is. Bonus for college students- the museum tour really helped with papers and impressing English professors!
Kerri Casey — Google review
Anna gave us a beautiful tour, generously sharing her knowledge about Dickinson’s life and work and the mindset she revealed in her poems and letters. She’s clearly studied Dickinson deeply. This tour was a Mother’s Day gift for my mom, and she was thrilled, as were my sisters and I. We are already planning another trip to tour the Evergreens. Whether you’re a scholar or have a more casual interest in Dickinson (like me), I highly recommend a visit.

I visited my friends in Boston last month & we drove out to Amherst to check out the Emily Dickinson Museum! We loved it!! ♥️ We had a guided tour with Anna, who was super knowledgeable and patient with questions from our small group. I enjoyed learning about the poet and there was even a room set up for the guided tours to discuss some of her works via the boards with the sliders (didn't get a pic of them). 📝 We walked through the house and I think my two favorite rooms are the foyer and the salon/living room with the portrait replica of Dickinson and her siblings. 👨👩👧 There is a little souvenir shop of course where you can purchase things like booklets of Dickinson's poems, shirts, stationery, umbrellas, etc. I'm glad we came to visit this museum, it was an educational, laid-back experience. We also saw the giant tree outside the house that has been there since Dickinson's time! 🌳 This is a must-see destination for literary fans.

Beautiful place, very peaceful and loved the recorded guided tour around the property. The staff is very well informed and made the visit quite pleasant. It's such a powerful experience to walk around the house and be in the very room this prodigy lived.

This was my second time here and first since the renovations. Our tour guide was Pete and he was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The museum features so many items - some used from the TV series, movie and some from the actual time period. The scenery was beautiful. If you are in the area- make this a priority.

We got the guided tour and it was amazing. The house is beautiful and the tour guide quoted a lot of Emily's poetry. It's not really a handicapped accessible as there are two floors, but if you can climb stairs I highly recommend this place.

This museum is amazing! My girlfriend and I have wanted to come for about 2 years now and I’m so glad we finally did!
Our tour guide was Emma and she was great! She was able to answer any questions we had. Parking was easy and there are signs that tell you exactly where to go to start your tour. The gift shop was full of great stuff too.
We walked about 10-15 minutes to the cemetery where Emily is buried which was an added on bonus! I can’t wait to come back!!

Amazing place. Had a fantastic time seeing the period-perfect, well-restored, and wonderfully maintained home of an iconic American. The staff were awesome, particularly our guide, Thackeray. Will definitely return!

A very nice experience visiting the home where the famous poet lived. The visit includes a personal tour, and our guide certainly cared a great deal about Emily Dickinson. He recited a lot of her poetry from memory and the visit lasted nearly two hours. The main house in particular is quite nice, as are the gardens.
Old Sturbridge Village is a living history museum located in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. It offers a re-creation of an 1830s settlement with costumed staff, rides, and activities for family entertainment. The village meticulously recreates rural New England life from the 1830s, complete with historic buildings, working farms, and costumed interpreters.
This is a remarkable destination. So many interesting things to do and see. I highly recommend getting the membership, even if you only go for one day you get a discount at the shops. you can see a lot in a few hours or spend the day enjoying all the attractions. If it's raining just bring an umbrella, there are plenty of indoor attractions.

This place was wonderful and very educational. It really is like it's own little village. There are some small hiking trails where you can see some awesome views. Watching the staff with the oxen was awesome and informative. I want to go back in warmer weather for the boat ride. The only thing I wish was that there was more "characters" dressed up. I am thinking maybe because it was cooler or because of COVID. The "characters" who were there were fascinating and knowledgeable. We spent a few hours here and it was lovely.

Great place to stop and learn about New England life in the early 1800s. There are many buildings of the period, furnished as they would have been. The have knowledgeable people in period dress there happy to educate and demonstrate many of the roles and daily tasks of a blacksmith, Cooper, cabinet maker, potter, and banker. They also did some baking and braiding straw for hats as well as read some letters of what it was like for women and the issues of that period.

Had a fantastic time at Old Sturbridge Village! It was absolutely beautiful all decorated for the season. Dress warmly for the Christmas Lights celebrations! It's cold but it makes it all the whole better when you slip into a house and look at all of the items and listen to the historians talk about what they really love.
Will visit again!

I have been here in all four seasons and am always impressed with the museum. People are dressed in period clothes, willing to teach a bit about early American History as folks wander from room to room, building to building. They do a great job. Nice shop, great pub, they host special events year round. Good for all ages, really nice way to spend a day.

We went in March and were able see how people who lived in the 1830's were able to collect and boil down maple sap to make molasses. All the houses were open and though the people who worked there wore masks they were not required of visitors. The village was a true village with blacksmith, saw mill, school etc. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable with the wagon ride being interesting and full of history as well. There were outhouses for visitors to see but 21 century plumbing for visitors to use. There were changing tables in the restrooms. The walking was easy and stroller friendly. The roads were sandy/gravel. A good pair of hiking shoes would be fine here. The chickens roam freely here. The cafeteria had sandwiches but there were no posted limits on outside food, the menu changes with the season so check their website before you go. Overall the experience was educational and laid back. We will be going back in warmer weather.

This is a beautiful historic place to visit. It transformed you into a time of simplicity and elegance in craftsmanship and liveliness. The kiddos will enjoy every minute of the walk and scenery. They even have at tavern for eats and games. You'll even catch a glimpse or two of the townsfolk strolling about the grounds. And interact with them as well. Perfect place for the whole family.

One of those places that you can go to over and over again. The amount of skill people had to have back then is amazing. Watching the blacksmith, the Cooper and the housewife making do with the ovens of the time. It's is an amazing step back into history. The actors seem very realistic to the period. The animals all look very well cared for. A wonderful time even in the rain.

My wife and I decided to check OSV out on a beautiful Sunday. I myself am not the biggest fan of museums and historical sites, however this place is amazing. All of the buildings are curated perfectly and the workers are very interactive and eagerly want to share information. There is something for everyone to enjoy. My wife and I could have sat in the blacksmith shop all day. Veterans and active duty have free admission.

Excellent! My 7 year old son and I had an amazing time. Great for all ages. Hands on for kids...and kids and heart. The costumed reactors are everywhere and give really interesting information. The grounds are beautiful, and the town is actually pretty big. It's like stepping back in time. In fact, I told my son we were going to be taking a time machine back in time to 1835. He was very into it, and wants to return for Halloween and Christmas.

The Christmas by candlelight was so peaceful. The mulled cider was an awesome treat to keep warm in the cold. The cookies are to die for and probably the best cup of hot cocoa I’ve ever had. Reading the “make a wish” area under the bridge makes you really take a look at life
**I thought the lighting ceremony would have been a little more organized, we all waited about 10 minutes past the lighting time, the light came on and that was it. No cheers, no leading up to the lighting. Just on and done with.

One definitely can spend a day here, even with quite a few exhibits closed (02/23/22) at the moment for seasons and/or reasons! Also, asking questions of the people who work there is still a great way to learn. Mind the occasional horse poo; you'll be just fine. ✌️

I went to the Christmas by Candlelight event on Sunday. Advice to heed is dress warm and you will do fine. My husband loved the 2 big bonfires they had going and I loved the carol singing at the church and the horse ride. Kind of like a trolley ride but with 2 big big big horses pulling them. And of course all the lights. Very pretty and puts you right in the festive mood. This was my first time doing this event and I will go back again next year if they are still doing this. Job well done.

Honestly a great place to go for all ages. Plenty to see and do. My favorite part are the various games they have scattered throughout the village. Free to play. You can go into every building. And they usually have someone in every building to chat with you about it. It really immerses you in the experience. I wish they sold more old timey clothes. Food is good. Plenty of it. Places to eat and bathrooms on site. It's a large place so expect lots of walking. But there are plenty of places to sit. Lots of animals as well.

Phenomenal experience. This was my family’s first time at this fun Halloween event at Sturbridge Village and we loved it! From the historical village, living exhibits, fun and willing to play along staff, we had a great time. Our 3rd grader especially enjoyed the ghost stores by the fire. The gentleman that entertained the audience with the spooky but not too scary stories was an excellent storyteller. We enjoyed the popcorn and cookies at the concession stand and the many different shows to attend throughout the evening.

We attended Sturbridge Village on one of their Homeschool Days and it was wonderful. The workshops were affordable and practical, my girls especially loved the sewing & cooking. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The grounds were well-kept and really immerse you in the experience. We were lucky enough to see the newborn lambs, which were absolutely adorable. Great place overall, we plan to visit again soon!

This is a great place for children and adults alike. We went on the tail end of Maple Days, and it's getting a bit too late in the season to see the full mapling process. February would likely be a better time to visit.
It's a very immersive experience. The guides are dressed in period clothes to explain the structures/buildings, and what it's for; and there are even live demonstrations. I like that the guides are not "in character" because it allows for much more natural conversation/interaction, and an actual engaging learning experience.

2-18-24 - We brought our kids here 25 years ago. Was working nearby and decided to revisit. I love this place. Hiking around in February. Snow on the ground. No crowds. Ample time to chat with the reenactors. Lots of space and inspiration to imagine life in 1838 New England -- before screens, electricity, and AI. Before world wars and school shootings and SUVs. Kids shrieking with joy when they see farm animals, fascinated by the shoemaker and candle making. A lovely experience.

Great place to visit, arrived around 11 a.m was there for about 4 hours. No long queues, so we were able to walk around leisurely.
Lots of great places to take photo's. On entering you receive a timetable of various activities taking place throughout the day.. Like basket/chair weaving, blacksmith, silversmiths and carpentry demonstrations.! etc
All attractions give historic information regarding to the buildings.

Loved it, a trip through history there’s so much more potential for this village, not advertised properly like have more items customized with village names and the chance to sell the products made at the village as well, like a notebook made as a print house and such. All in all I love the experience. Staff on board are very knowledgeable and very kind and answer all kind of questions. Very patient was children.

We came for Homeschool Days, had a fantastic time. Joan led a water color class. She kept us entertained with fun facts about the village and did a great job showing the students how to see patterns and how to draw simple botanical examples. Blacksmiths, Tinmaker, Towne House poetry and tour, newborn lambs, and well presented history rounded out our amazing day!

Forested aerial park featuring zip lines, bridges & climbing challenges for all levels, age 7 & up.
Great park for tree adventures, climbing ladders and ropes and going down zip lines. Well established and organized, well designed, built and maintained. Fun for both kids and adults, several options for the right level of challenge.
We visited on a summer Sunday, it was not too crowded so the lines were not long. The staff was professional, kind and friendly, more personable than in other places (they even take pictures of guests' pets and post them on a board, that's really nice).
It's in the middle of the woods, so the restrooms are portable and there's no running water. They provide drinking water in small cups, but you may wanna bring water bottles also to wash your hands. They provide lockers (bring a lock) and they have trash and recycling bins.
The ticket is for 3 hours, which is just enough time to do several courses (it takes fitness and stamina to keep going for longer). I wish they also sold tickets for one hour or a single course, to allow parents to share the experience without pushing themselves too much if they're not comfortable.
Very good experience overall :-)

Absolutely amazing experience (second time at the park). Staff is very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. They worked very well with an 8 year old that struggled on one of the courses and assisted her off the course in a very professional and caring manner. They even acknowledged her hard work and determination by letting her grab an ice cream which was very courteous. Definitely will go again. The UCONN Dairy Bar is an excellent post course activity as well

So I just wa t to say it was my first time with my daughter and my niece and nephew and we loved the glow in the dark zip lining!! The music was fantastic and the workers were extremely helpful!! I want to give a specific shout out to an employee named Jordan. He was very helpful and has the upper body strength of a god! We were extremely grateful after getting stuck on one of the obstacles he came and carried us back one at a time and it’s not easy at all! He was patient and very nice to us all the way and while my 9 year old was scared out of her mind crying he made sure to make her feel as comfortable as possible and I appreciated that so much! So would I recommend? Absolutely yes 10/10

We've been to the Adventure Park at Storrs three times and each time has been a blast! The courses are thrilling and accessible for all skill levels. Each increasing difficulty level forces you to challenge yourself to get outside of your comfort zone. You will be amazed at what you are capable of. The staff here is great! On this last visit my son and I challenged ourselves on a harder course and found that one element simply required longer legs than my son had to get across. When we called out "STAFF!!" Jason came to our aid super quick. He gave us the option to lower my son down or pull him across a nearby cable to a subsequent element. We opted to have him pulled across. Jason warned us that the next one was tricky and stayed with us until we got across it to make sure we didn't need more assistance. He was very kind and answered all of my son's questions about the course showing his passion and dedication. We love this place and will definitely be visiting again.

This place was a blast! So much more than just ziplining. Instructions seemed tough at first but my 7 year old was a pro handling the equipment after completing the first course. And the courses are challenging, not just a walk in the park. These courses were a blast and will test the limits of everyone in your group, and probably will most likely show your breaking point!

What a great experience! I'm afraid of heights, but wanted to do this with my husband. The staff were all friendly and supportive. Best date day ever! Neither of us had any experience and I was initially worried because I have terrible arm strength. We were able to easily do the 3 green courses. Then we were feeling daring and tried the harder of the two blues (Witch Hazel). It definitely is what I needed to push myself physically and mentally. There were moments I wanted to give up, but persevered until the end! My husband, of course made it look easy. It's the day after and we're both feeling some sore muscles. Can't wait to go back again.

The more we go, the more confident we become! My son had his "summer" birthday party here yesterday and we just love the park and the courses. The whole experience was fabulous and fun. We all want to give Luis a super shout out, he was the star of the day and for our climbing party! Climbing courses are all about finding your edge and your limits and for our crew of kids, this was a full day of that. Luis was kind, encouraging, and super supportive when a couple of our kids hit their limits. He climbed right up there and offered words of encouragement and emotional support - he was even there to guide our kids across an element when they became physically stuck, more than once. We felt totally safe with Luis and could see he was a master of the elements and totally awesome with kids. We can't thank him enough, we so appreciate his kindness and his expertise and feel really grateful that he was working the same day as our visit. We can't wait to come back!
