Very nice museum offering artifacts with personal stories in an authentic WWII building with original murals painted by soldiers. Enjoyed it very much. It was free.
Darla Wells — Google review
The museum staff consisted of one person and he was very informative and knowledgeable.
Josh Weickum — Google review
Great museum. I was traveling from Buffalo to Aurora when I saw the sign on I-25, so I detoured off to see the museum.
Mark Paolino — Google review
I may be mistaken, but from what I understood from the curator, all the pieces displayed are donations from families whose loved ones served in the military, all natives of Wyoming. The museum is well put together and displayed in chronological order.
The curator was very knowledgeable in regards to facts and history of the locale.
If you're into military history, it's definitely worth it to visit.

A great place lots of information and the staff was very friendly and helpful

Took my daughter to a little family event there. It was fun and also a good learning experience.
Lake Alcova, boat rental staff and tiki bar was all amazing. Been coming here for years and never disappoints. Make the trip, have a cocktail, or 3 and take it all in!
Deon Berube — Google review
We rented a luxury pontoon boat and had an amazing day. We were able to water tube on the water and the boat went fast enough to be fun and slow enough to tow kids. Spacious for the 12 of us! The canyon was absolutely gorgeous to drive through. A unique and amazing experience while in Casper, WY that we will remember forever. It was a nice break from all the hiking we did in the national parks that trip!
Daniella Gatlin — Google review
Alcova Resort's boat rentals are the best in Wyoming! Made our Casper trip unforgettable. A must-try!
Aron Schmidt — Google review
Gorgeous place to paddle board or kayak. The water was cool and clean. The canyon views were absolutely breathtaking. It's should be a 'must stop' for anyone that travels through Wyoming.
Carla Fernandez — Google review
Absolutely outstanding. Everyone is super friendly and professional. Totally loved our entire day. George at the boat house is wonderful. We will try to get back soon.

Love this place and the amazing people that reside here. Looking forward to a new building, more memories and bigger ice cream scoops!

Rented a Jet ski on Monday afternoon. Everything was perfect. They got me on the water immediately and everything was perfect with the Jet Ski. Returning it was quick and easy with no hold ups.
I’ve rented jet skis & boats from various places around the country and it seems like there is always a lot of time spent getting you on the water and going. These guys were super quick and nice. Definitely would recommend renting from the Alcova Marina without a doubt.
The crew at the Alcova Marina has done an outstanding job making the best possible Lake experience they can.
Good job Alcova Lakeside Marina & Crew!

Great camping spot. Worked on my sun burn .watching take down the place that caught on fire. Enjoyed happy hour at the bar. Down the road, from our spot. Fun boat ride through the canyon. However bathrooms need better cleaning,

Family owned, personal guidance, clear and easy to read info and excellent displays about settling and developing the American west in the pioneering days. And they have displays of about every wild anamal to ever live and roam the same American west!

You cannot get a better glimpse of the lifestyle and knowledge of the trapping trade than through this museum and the old fashioned hobbies and passions of the volunteers who run it.

The Wind River Heritage Center is a must-see when you're in Riverton, Wyoming! It offers a fantastic exhibition showcasing the significant animals that have inhabited the area over the past century and continue to do so today. You'll find captivating information about the city's history and traditions, as well as insights into the life of Jake, the last mountain man. The center also features a Waxcaninet exhibit, depicting stories and individuals from pioneer times. The collection includes paintings, old books, and intriguing facts that enrich the experience. My visit there was thoroughly enjoyable! Also the lady working there was an awesome help and showed us around the animal expositions. Very sweet and nice atmosphere!

Great exhibits. Lovely examples of locally relevant history.
David Maulik — Google review
Fun place, stuffed animals, wax figures of historical significance, animal trap and arrowhead collections, plus a lot more! Great explanations and write up on all the exhibits
Susan Spradlin — Google review
Wonderful museum, a lot of interesting animals and a wax museum area. Plus farm implements.
Tim Page — Google review
Great place to see an outstanding collection of wild animals. The wax museum of the mountain men was awesome.
Sue Broderick — Google review
This is an awesome museum for area wildlife, it's up close and personal. Super extensive collection of wild animals from Wyoming. Bonus! Place also has a wax museum of early American settlers, a must see. $5 admission but so worth it , I got a personal guided tour of the entire museum. Staff are wonderful. GO!
David P — Google review
It doesn't seem like much from the outside, but it was amazing! Jacob did a good job of telling us about the animals and I was surprised to learn quite a few things. Then Harold gave us a tour of the rest. He was awesome! We asked tons of questions and he always had insightful answers. He knew what he was talking about and gave us lots to think about. We are excited to go back in the future. I can't stress enough to get the guided tour and soak in everything Harold tells you. I wish I could remember it all.
Hyrum Booth — Google review
Hi Iva. So wonderful you and your family are preserving the Center. What a wonderful and historical exhibit. My in-laws lived in Riverton about 20 or so years ago and I visited the center and met Jake. Just caught his doc on Prime and took me back to those days visiting there. Be well. Paul
P Cruse — Google review
A wonderful museum! We loved it and really enjoyed the wax museum of Wyoming history.
Heather Cook — Google review
The Wind River Heritage center is a wonderful historical place to bring the family and see and learn about some of the history around our area.
They have many animal mounts and traps to see from a true mountain man, Mr. Jake correll.
They have a wax figure museum and the staff tells a wonder tale of past times that almost takes you back and puts you right in the middle of it all.
Two thumbs up for the Wind River Heritage Center. A must stop place on your visit to Wonderful Wyoming.
Stopped in and for just 5 dollars got to see some amazing artifacts from the old west, a great collection of local and historic mining artifacts, arapaho native dress and artifacts, and as a graphic designer, I particularly enjoyed the large collection of old packaging, pills, tonics, and old branding. Also has an exhibition on the history of uranium mining in the area which was enlightening. A real gem with very sweet attendants.

Excellent exhibits that were informative and engaging.
William Overturf — Google review
Pretty cool museum, I used to love just stopping and seeing the new displays. We always went as kids and as I became a mother I would take my kids, nieces, nephews or kids I watched. We would donate money every time we could. However they started charging $5 for kids and adults, while most places charge more and this may seem reasonable they took out most of the museum displays. You cant even see half of the artifacts you could prior down stairs. The museum is small and if you have more than one kid this is not the place to kill time or explore. You are better off going on a nature walk and chatting to a local. There should be a deal for a larger crowd or family deals. As mentioned before it is SMALL and does not have much to show. Probably won’t be stopping by again.
Holly post — Google review
Cute little museum with history on the Riverton area. Not a big Museum, but a plus with a few kids activities.
Tim Page — Google review
Very interesting, much improved from past years. Great place to learn about how the Wind River Basin has come about.
Mike Zirbel — Google review
Great local museum with comprehensive display of uranium mine history and operation. 3 cheers!
Casual rooms with flat-screen TVs & minifridges, plus a fitness center & 2 restaurants.
We both had the time of our life! Something that I will never forget! Thank you Ryan Scholle!
We both needed that awesome time together as a reminder of how much we love each other.
That Easter Sunday weekend spending it at this hotel was one of the best times of my life
Love Goddess — Google review
I checked in an the room is spotless! The hotel smells great! The front desk girls were sweethearts! This am when I took that picture this morning, the clerk helped me get a better road report, the snow storm I drive thru days before hit last night here.
Rohan Sunrunner — Google review
The gentleman who checked us in to our hotel was courteous, helpful and professional. 3/18/24 around 10:30am. The room was very clean and wonderful. The staff at the casino and the bar and grill were also nice. Monday through Wednesday a lot of things are closed, close early, or even though items are on the menu, it doesn't mean they have them. This should be made more clear up front; but my opinion only. The experience of having a place to stay with easy parking for our 18 wheeler (we are truck drivers) and the man at check in made it a great experience.
K Case — Google review
Everything was a inconvenience.
I have a big dog. They put us on the 3rd floor. When you book through hotels.com you still have to pay at the desk.
I tried to cash in a slot voucher and you have to get a card with a lot more info then they need. So I didn’t get to use them.
As per other complaints the machines don’t pay at all.
Front desk was rude when I had to redo my cards when they knew I was here for two nites. Tv doesn’t work very well so you have to watch things on your phone. I’ll never stay again. Food good room nice
Kev Hep — Google review
HUGE rooms. Attentive service. Fantastic value for money! Keep it local and steer clear of the big brands while in town. Support this great venue!
JJ Ayur — Google review
Very nice hotel and casino. Lots of food options and open late. Most of the staff are abrasive and could use some training for how to be hospitable towards guests. We will stay again in the future.
Abigail Posey — Google review
This casino is an absolutely awesome place to spend a day or two. Great food. fantastic selection of slots, and one of the very BEST host I have encountered in my 60 years. (ASK FOR CARLINO LOPEZ) Very nice guy, super professional, The hosts in Vegas could learn a thing or two from Carlino. He will make sure your experience is Top Notch.
As far as the Gaming. Yesterday, on a day trip I won 24 hand pays totalling over $53,000.00 dollars and last Wednesday I went home with $20,000.00 in winnings on 16+ hand pays. This is gaming at its best. I have watched Cowboy Slots on Utube and his videos show both Shoshone rose and Wind River. I think he works for Rose so he's a little bias but you can see the Wind River Casino on a couple of his videos. My opinion is there's NO comparison. Wind River outdoss Rose by leaps and bounds.
Remember to ask for Carlino and he will take care of you.
The food in the restaurants is TOP Notch and as I live in Wyoming I have only had a need to stay in the hotel a couple times. On those occasions I was very satisfied. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. They do have pet allowed rooms as well, so if your traveling with a lil family member he or she will have a place to stay as well. Here's a couple recommendations on slots for you. Mighty cash. It is a medium volitility multi denominational game that can have very good pays and frequent bonus features.
Pinball. One of the most popular slots ever made. This is the older machine with a pinball pay on one single line pinball icon. Bets up to $20 denom. and low volatility so more frequent feature hits.
Dragon link high risk high reward
fun game. When it's hot it pays cold, well you know, No Smoking so it's a comfortable environment for ALL. If your a smoker there's locations close to the entrance.
Friendly staff just a great little casino.
If your anywhere near Riverton you should stop in and check the Wind out.
Have fun
Alan b Rivera — Google review
Casino and facilities are nice however only 4-5 keno/poker machines in the whole place. 99.9% of machines are slots, which I don't care for. A few table games and roulette. My negative opinion is fully based on lack of anything other than slots...
Kelly King — Google review
The staff was so kind, the room was lovely, and everything was simple to navigate. Even the free soaps were adorable! The food services like the Buffalo Restaurant and the Cee Noku Cafe were delicious—I got breakfast at the cafe for a great price (2 eggs, corned beef hash, hash browns, plus a Maple Long John - all so good). We were also happy to see they still take Covid seriously, so masks are required. Again, can’t stress enough how sweet everyone working there was. One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had!
Isabella Jetten — Google review
Rooms were nice and clean friendly staff. Sports book restaurants was awesome!! Friendly waitress, Mittzy. Was awesome

If travelling in a motorhome the parking lot is a good place for an overnight stay. It is free and quiet. They also have electricity for $25 pn
Hans B — Google review
I did not stay at the hotel but ate at the red willow. The food was good but very slow. Service was nothing special and not bad. If it was just food alone, I would return, but the whole experience does nothing to make me want to return
Ryan Preston — Google review
Sadly this casino and hotel seems pretty under staffed with a lot of machines that are in need of maintenance and almost all player kiosks out of order. Was really hoping for a better experience on my trip back to Wyoming
Bryan Cross — Google review
Poor customer service for front desk lady corrine very rude she told me the was complaint abt my dad's dog being in my room witch ain't pet in witch he wasn't n said 200 fee omg 2nd time same lady did this to us .my dad was upset so we left went home to no heat 🔥 in are home furnace is out dad was in121 n we in 119 wayne Arthur Sr my father was good til she came on shift !

I visited here about a year ago for a few nights. I had a great time. I went back a few days ago and had even a better time. They have a lot of brand new machines including 20 or 30 that I just played in Vegas. The food in their restaurant is more than affordable and very delicious. Have fun.
Angela Bradford — Google review
We pulled our RV into the lot hoping for a quick nights sleep and nothing more. What we discovered when walking into the casino/hotel was a staff who were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The food, both dinner and breakfast were very tasty. The best out of all our stops during our 3 week road trip. There is a small museum showcasing some Arapaho artwork that is a must see. We’d like to thank all the staff for their hospitality.
Serena Abrams — Google review
The hotel is very nice. Room was clean spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly. Restaurant was very generous with portions. Consider sharing a meal at the sports bar at least. My only criticism is about Googles booking page, UT says there is a free breakfast and there is not.
James Colwell — Google review
Front desk tried to hustle me. Told me he just booked his last room. As I was booking online he said a room came available and would match the price online if I booked at the desk for the same price.....slots are extremely tight. Decent room for a long trip through Yellowstone on the way to South Dakota. Use it for a rest shower and possibly some food, DONT gamble here
I had the stinger, a hot honey w/ prosciutto pizza, prosciutto was as Smokey as my grandmas kitchen growing up. (This is a good thing… now)
As for the “Rock Chuck Dip” my mans is a lover of hot sandwiches and says, “This is a good one”.
Fried ravioli, excellent.
Great atmosphere, drinks poured generously 👍🏼

The Lander Bar is an awesome place. We hung out here on a Saturday night and jammed out to some live music paired with amazing beer, then came back Monday for lunch and had an equally wonderful experience. One of the coolest bars / grills I've been to.
Daniel Loudenback — Google review
Excellent indoor and outdoor seating, great menu selection and delicious food. Super friendly staff too!
Todd Snyder — Google review
That guy Ryan (I think that's his name?) with the crazy spiky hair does a fine job!! Always very attentive with casual and friendly energy. Your bar is fortunate to have him pouring up drinks!!
Michael Ruehl — Google review
Lander Bar is always a treat to visit. The food is absolutely wonderful, far beyond what you would expect at a restaurant in a small town in Wyoming. The Figgin Love It Pizza is particularly good as are the burgers. Drinks are also reasonably priced and generously portioned. If you are in or around Lander, do yourself a favor and stop in!
Stephen Jones — Google review
Foods great, beers great, people are great. Worth a stop if you’re passing through and need some delicious food and a cold beer.
Adam Dutko — Google review
Man with mohawk was so rude to me, the people in my group, and other women around us. Single handedly ruined our trip to the bar. So condescending. So sad as the bar seemed great otherwise!
Mia Dimmette — Google review
Nice place and atmosphere, burgers were enjoyable. Ice cream place next door is also worth attending to.
jamie neale — Google review
Walked in around 5, place was quiet and only a few patrons. Got our food pretty quick, and my Burger was delicious and the pizza was good too. We got a 20$ credit on this Gannett card for a mistake on the pizza..Thanks dude
Lemuel Black — Google review
If there's an entitled little millennial with a Mohawk behind the bar just leave. He's about 5' tall and can barely see over the bar, only thing I can think is he's the owners troubled nephew. Not only is he a horrible bartender, obnoxious, and rude but actively tried to bait people into confrontations.
Ross Thornton — Google review
Good atmosphere with good food. The patio was dog friendly and had water bowls which my dog and myself greatly appreciated. Seems like a decent bar, the shake a day was up to $500 when I was there, I won a free drink.
Shea Lewis — Google review
Good variety of burgers with some creative options. Burgers didn’t quite live up to the NYT hype but were good, just not great as they were well past medium. Bar was neat and walk up service was good. Bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. Worth a stop!
Chris Beasley — Google review
Amazing food great place to eat outside in spring summer and some part of fall and sitting inside good to little noise? Grill places shout down closes late evenings bar popping pool tables to play on listen to music juke box and other area can talk not to loud for talking to someone or group.
Had a really great time here! Came here with family we were visiting in Lander. The owner was incredibly nice and you can tell she’s very passionate about what she does. The room/puzzle itself was challenging and lots of fun. Definitely recommend!
Trevor E. — Google review
We had an absolutely amazing time here. The owners are friendly, the puzzles were challenging but not impossible, and we thrillingly smelled victory close at hand, only for it to slip abruptly from our grasp when our time ran out. I highly recommend this establishment for an hour of unbeatable mental stimulation, teamwork, and fun! This was my first escape room experience, and I'm already addicted.
Brigid Grund — Google review
Had a bunch of fun (went with all-adult group). Just did the spellbound version, but loved the immersive themes! Puzzles were pretty good and well thought-out/prepared (perhaps one minor exception that got us stuck was where to start with one of the codes). But I was pleased that the difficulty could be adapted to the group's ability. It was all around well done. We made some good memories. Would recommend.
Ben Walker — Google review
I've been to both rooms and they are of equal challenge. Very exhilarating and fun. Bring your competitive friends and you'll have a blast. I say they should allow you to pay for extra minutes if you dont beat the time:)
Lea Hutt — Google review
What a pleasant surprise to find this unique gem while creating memories at a family reunion here in Lander. Adding to it all, what a wonderful way to celebrate the daughter's 17th Bd. Our 1st experience was a memorable one!
Scott Arens — Google review
Went here with a group of friends, the puzzles were challenging but very fun! We weren't able to finish because we got caught on the last puzzle.
Nate Pfeiler — Google review
We had a great time with a really fun puzzle! We are coming back tomorrow to do the other room!
Chris Vokal — Google review
We had a great time! We love spending our couples date night here!
Wow! I'm not one for museums, my fiancé loves them. This was so cool. Only $6 and there is so much to see! Everything is nicely kept and I loved the way they had it all arranged. Two floors and a pioneer town out back. The town was the coolest. We spent a good two hours here and can't wait to come back and see the tribal dance.
Katie A — Google review
Super friendly staff that truly enjoys where they are to say the least. So much information around that you could literally take hours in there looking at different things and reading. Went on a slow day and had the whole place to ourselves. Snow was on the ground and everything was locked but they offered to open up anything that we'd want to take a look in which was above and beyond and makes me want to stop by anytime I come thru this way going forward~
Tyler James — Google review
It was fascinating to see the history of Lander WY and the surrounding areas. I loved the Native American artifacts. I enjoyed seeing old pictures of the 1800's.
There is so much to look at.
Would definitely love to go again!
Sam Young — Google review
This is a great little museum. Packed with many local items. A great deal to see inside. Outside were log cabins. Homes that are furnished with interesting items. This was our second visit to the museum.
Jim Downing — Google review
Very well done museum. Nice mix of artifact displays and stories about local figures and events. Really enjoyed the vignettes on the personalities and characters that shaped Lander.
Dan Karalus — Google review
Very cool museum to hit when you are in Riverton wyoming. Lots of history and a small fee to enter. I enjoyed it. Infact it was my 2nd time visiting
laurie wyatt — Google review
Didn't really go into the museum but walked around the premise of property. There was a class reunion being held that day. Interesting outdoor exhibits.

Fascinating!! We loved seeing this and were amazed at the large extent of history presented here. It was well worth the time!
Marie Whittaker — Google review
THIS MUSEUM IS OPEN ON SATURDAY even though google and the website say it isn’t. Definitely worth visiting. Extensive collection very well thematically laid out with good lighting and easily read informative boards. Very interesting history of the area.
They are always having fun family events like apple fest, Halloween events and native dancers. They do a great job!
brian lejambre — Google review
What a wonderful museum. The pioneer and the heritage museum are now one. For about five bucks I spent 3 hours inside and outside. People are wonderful. Exhibits are fun and well displayed. Parked my RV and Toad okay. Nice bathrooms. A block up from the Safeway. Found out Sacagawea's grave was 16 mi away from the docent so after the museum I drove up there. Lewis and Clark are my heroes so that was also a thrill.
Gary Kowal — Google review
What a treat!
By chance we discovered this really worth seeing museum in Lander. With a lot of love and dedication, authentic buildings out of this area have been brought together, preserved and are presented in a just wonderful garden landscape. Our passionate guide Barb (a volunteer) was the cherry on the cake on this sunny autumn afternoon. It´s a must see for all ages.
Rüdiger Gefeke — Google review
A must see! Our kids (ages from 4-18) loved every minute of it and learned a lot. Well worth the time to stop and check out the inside of every building. Kids loved seeing the old schoolhouse. Can be safely done with masks as most of it is outside walking short distances from little building to building. Don’t miss the walk to the teepees across the stream and bridges. Beautiful place to visit.
Jaimie Dake — Google review
It was cool visiting the place my great-great-grandmother taught and seeing how life was back in the 1900s.
Tyler Wilson — Google review
We always enjoy going to the Native American dance demonstration. I like meeting new people there. Last year we met a family from Italy. Tonight we met a couple from Hungary.
Brian Linton — Google review
It was awesome to see the dancers and the amount of people who attended. Had a good time, will definitely tell others about it for next week

By far the nicest and cleanest museum I've ever been to.the staff were the best I have ever had the opportunity to visit with.lander is a great little city I would love to be able to spend more time.
Bill Stone — Google review
The volunteer was very friendly and helpful
One could tell she was very proud of the museum. Well laid out little community of the areas past. Each building is full of the memobilia related to that building.
A gem of a find! Free....but donations greatly appreciated!
Outdoor space with a river & canyon along with foothills, forests & wide range of plants & animals.
Another amazing place that is a must see. The river actually goes underground going through fissures and cracks coming out a quarter mile down. Wow!
Annette V — Google review
This place is absolutely terrific and a unique gem to visit. The visitor’s center had a nice display of the various animals and fish in the region and it was a pleasant learning opportunity for the kids.
The really exciting part was the overview of the trout. They were massive! Without exaggeration, some of the trout would be about 15-20 lbs and are bigger than many salmon. Make sure you bring some quarters to use in the fish food dispenser if you want to feed the fish.
We would happily go back and enjoy this state park.
Jon Gibbs — Google review
Staying nearby for a month. So we visited today to see what we could do here. Did one little hike. It was stunning. The views are amazing. We are from the east coast so this is a little different for us. I'm a waterfall girl through and through so I can't wait to do that hike. We also went to the visitor center and saw the sinks. Amazing. So many pretty wildflowers here and all the sage. A dream. We can break this up into a few days. Lots to do.
Katie A — Google review
An amazing little national park. Great fishing up above the switchbacks at the lakes. The park is absolutely gorgeous but it's quite small. The sinks and the rise are absolutely beautiful. Fun interpretive center at the sinks. Looks like some amazing hikinh around the area although I wasn't able to get my boots on the ground. Definitely a great place to spend an afternoon.
Bri G — Google review
We loved Sinks. We went to the visitors center and walked to the sink hole. We went to the rise. We went to the lake and paddled boarded. We took the dirt road and drove through the backside of the park and came out at Atlantic City.
Upper Shelf — Google review
This is a beautiful place to be! We were traveling through the area, and we are so glad we stopped. We did the nature trail and then fed the fish. Kids loved it!
Lara D — Google review
Water was up, so it was beautiful. Very short but pretty walk behind Visitors Center. The road "ends" at the trailhead to the big falls. Road was closed right past the entrance. If you aren't used to altitude it is kind of a difficult hike -but worth it! Take lots of water! We want to go again and take a lunch!
Susan Spradlin — Google review
Awesome state park in a beautiful natural area. We were only there for less than an hour because the weather was turning cold, with thunder and impending rain. However, we still got to see easily with a two minute hike, the water rushing into the mountain. We will go back when we have more time.
Yubamark marks — Google review
Very cool . trout pond is awesome.the disappearing river is amazing .then ride up the switch backs to the lakes.then if you can keep going where the road is unpaved there is more to see
Bryan Hilburn — Google review
An amazing value and excellent place for young and old. We camped 4 nights and had plenty of fun, hiking, checking out the fish, etc. The restrooms are clean, the grounds well kept, and the ranger station was in great shape as well. Over all well worth the effort to see and experience.
J M W — Google review
What a beautiful place to visit. Lots of hiking trails and your choice of four lakes to spend the day kayaking or fishing. June is a great time to visit when all the wild flowers are in bloom and the river is flowing high from the snow melt.
Jeanne Smith — Google review
I loved this area and the state park. Though the visitors center closed Labor Day there were good descriptive boards on the sink and the rise odmf the river. I had a nice campsite.
Laid-back casino hotel with a restaurant, an indoor pool & a business center, plus free Wi-Fi.
Nice big room. We had a nice view from our window. Pool and hot tub, outdoor seating area with fire pit, friendly staff, bright casino room.
Elizabeth VanSmith — Google review
I don't like hotels, but I found myself needing one. This was a very nice one. Friendly staff. Decent price. I wasn't standing in water after my shower. Bed and pillows etc were comfortable. Even had a room with a nice view of the mountains and my bike. Appears to be pretty new construction or just well maintained.
moldyarnold — Google review
Everything is great there! The machines are nice to us when we come! The only downfall is that "most" workers there are rude! No customer skills and the seniors that play bingo don't like new comers. They act like it's they're casino!
Kendra Leu — Google review
Front desk staff was very helpful and polite. Room was very spacious and inviting. Only reason this did not get a 5 star was there was food from the previous guest left in our fridge. Rates very reasonable and seems like a great place for families to stay. Casino offers fun for adults while children will enjoy the indoor pool.
Brandi Meyers — Google review
Nice rooms. Would've been nice to know they don't clean rooms during stay overs not a big deal. But at least swap out towels and ask if garbage needs taken. The front desk made it seem like it was a big deal to do that. We finally got some towels the third night about midnight which was awsome waking up to. But hey we got them right 😂. Started construction for two mornings at 8 am sharp was pleasant sound. Only giving four stars because the rooms were nice.

So here's the real deal... Had to stay one night, first time. Room was great, very clean, contemporary. A+
Everything else is rough. Service including front desk, security (which were everywhere) and restaurant employees are rude as hell.
Service: I sat in their restaurant for 45 minutes then eventually ended up at my truck in the parking lot eating granola and a blueberry yogurt from my cooler. Which was fine, beautiful morning and birds were chirping. Should have just started there. Maybe it's a cultural thing, if you have all day to sit there, might be fine. Maybe I need to slow down and relax, hard to say.
Again room was nice, don't expect anything else after that. And that is the skinny!

Just 8 miles outside of Lander this was a beatific and quiet spot away from town and halfway from anywhere. The casino is nice. There was no smoking but plenty of machines. Unfortunately, there are no table games. Even two tables would be a welcome way to bring a few more gamblers in. The rooms were very nice and quiet and the pool and firepit were a lot of fun for the kids.

My husband and I stayed for one night on our way to Yellowstone. The room was clean and comfortable and honestly nicer than most Holiday Inn/other chain hotels. They were doing a promo where we each got $10 in free casino play money which was nice. Large selection of slot games. The new bar area is really nice, and there are games included there so you can still use the casino while enjoying a drink. We ended up chatting with the bartender for over an hour, he was super nice and friendly. Front desk staff and players club staff were nice and helpful. Overall, a great and comfortable experience.
EDIT: With the $10 free credit, I ended up winning about $75 bucks. So people that review that you don't win anything have just never been to a casino I guess.

Super clean hotel and casino. The front desk was super nice and the rooms were spotless. My only complaint is we reserved a king size bed but when we checked in they didn't have any so we got a queen size. Not sure why they did not hold our reservation?

Seem to do better here than the bigger casino in Riverton. Although they only have 5 video poker machines, the pay tables are decent at $1 level, the highest coin allowed. Surprisingly, this casino has nearly been empty every time I've visited.
On my last visit the café wasn't very good. On the previous few visits, the cafe was good, with reasonable/good pricing. Like the other casinos in Wyoming, there is no smoking or alcohol allowed on the premises.
I will visit again. It seems to be worthwhile to drive from Riverton at least.

The hotel lists a swimming pool - they forget to mention that it is closed Monday & Tuesday for cleaning...... TWO DAYS to clean a swimming pool ?! It isn't that big !!!
So, no room service, no alcohol in casino, $50 deposit (in case your room needs cleaning when you leave - honestly, that is exactly what I was told), Only beer that is available anywhere in the whole facility is Bud and Bud light, and it must be drunk in the cafe type restaurant, snack-bar is two vending machines and good luck if you want a cup of coffee, I couldn't find a single place to get coffee...
And the casino? Only slot machines - no tables !

We were disappointed that the air conditioning must had been set at 66 degrees and after traveling on motorcycles all day we needed to have cooler environment. Also the website said the restaurant would be open until 8pm. We arrived at 7:40pm only to be told the restaurant was closed and yet they were still serving in the restaurant. I understand that it to be a “catch 22” situation, however, when there isn’t anyplace around for five miles I believe a little more courtesy should be extended to guest staying in the hotel.
Other than those two issues the room and establishment was clean and well kept.

Coming out of the Grand Tetons, these two road tired tourists needed a place to spend the night, and we stumbled upon this hotel/casino.
It had everything we needed, a place to get something to eat, a bed to rest in, a bathroom to get refreshed, and peace and quiet.
No complaints from us on our stay there!

Beautiful scenery outside west hotel windows. Nice, clean rooms and friendly front desk check in ladies.
The new bar is cool and Corey is an all-star! Doggface and Corey were the weekend highlights for sure. Corey was very friendly and did great managing everyone and abiding by drink limit rules. He makes a nice cocktail and the bar prices are lower than maybe anywhere.....ever..... Wish you could drink on the casino floor, but maybe thats something to consider in the future.

Pretty disappointed. Blankets were scratchy and uncomfortable. No extra blankets either. Wish the casino had table games and better food. The body wash In the shower was empty.

We opted to stay here because it was $50 cheaper than the Holiday Inn in Lander and also accepts pets. That might have been a costly mistake if we wanted to do anything after 8pm. The restaurant and gift shops close by 8, and the snack bar and bar area are under renovation and also closed (I cannot confirm if any alcohol is available here - but I couldn’t find it). The pool and hot tub are also closed on Mon/Tues for maintenance (although no one is doing anything there so this seems fishy to me).
At the end of the day I wish I had been less cheap about the hotel as we are miles from town with literally nothing to do or consume after 8pm. I’m so glad we got dinner in Lander before coming out here. If you want to play slots, or if you want a cheaper room to hang out in and you don’t want to use any of the amenities during the week then this is the hotel for you! I’m not hopeful for getting breakfast in the morning at the restaurant…
At least we have a pretty view out of the window!
Edit: more pros/cons to consider. The a/c unit does not go lower than 66 degrees and barely continues any air flow during the evening so if you sleep hot you’ll be on top of the covers tossing and turning all night. The shower pressure and spaciousness and shampoo/conditioner/body wash is really nice. The gift shop is cute with the sweetest person operating and you’ll owe $20 for bringing your pet and need to put down a $50 deposit (hoping to get it returned quickly).
Interesting items. Would like to spend more time in there.

Much of the merchandise isn’t locally made, but the museum area in the back was wonderful and there were some keychains and a few other items made by local indigenous artists in the same room as the museum. The selection of books was good. I ended up purchasing a stuffed Sasquatch, which I had not seen before anywhere else.
There were also some really nice metal Marine and Army items.

Was looking for some moderately priced, artisan crafted souvenir earrings. Was disappointed. While I am willing to pay exceptional prices for exceptional work what I saw in the moderate price range was, in my opinion, not exceptional. I collect bangles but the ones I was shown were of lesser quality to what I've seen at Renfests. There were some very expensive pieces of jewelry which looked to be of good quality in some specialty cases but I wanted something more moderately priced.
However, it has lots of other stuff so it was a pleasant way to window shop for a half hour or so and things appeared to be authentic native made so not a cultural rip off. Staff was attentive without being pushy.

This store is an absolute must-see if you are anywhere in the area, there is nothing else like it around. Full of truly beautiful and unique one of a kind pieces made by local Arapaho artisans, everything from beaded jewelry, turquoise and silver, flutes, woven baskets rugs, the most beautiful wool jacket I've ever seen, local rocks (jade!) Unique furniture, and a full selection of men, women's, and children's clothes.
There are informative books and with a full museum-quality display of tribal artifacts in the back room.
There are no photos allowed in the store, but i HIGHLY encourage everyone to give this store and the people of the Wind River Reservation your money directly.

Very cool place. The gift shop was ok but the museum was outstanding! Nice folks in the place, we spent some money and killed an hour.
Michael Hiles — Google review
This is not a native owned company and they look to be taking advantage of operating on native land within the wind river reservation taking advantage of native workers and exploiting some native made products. Please spend your money where it will actually benefit native lives. This company is operated by the hines family and management was egregiously demeaning to the native staff while we were there. Not only this but 90% of the products were cheap and not authentic to say the least. I hope they do not profit further.
As a historian, I felt drawn to come here and pay my respects. Once I arrived, everything in the cemetery was set up with such delicacy and purpose that I felt like I shouldn't disturb another culture's burial sites to feed my own ego. A beautiful and profound experience that I was able to enjoy from a distance.

I felt honored to pay respect to this woman, who undoubtabtly endured much. Some of the crosses and graves were beautiful. It was sad to see a disproportionate amount of baby graves and short lives. This is the most beautiful cemetery I've ever been to. You will see a difference between the standard English composition of cemeteries. Everything parallel and military style. You won't get that here. Here you will see color, and beauty around the area. This cemetery proves that people truthfully do remember those who are buried here. It's worth the drive to visit.

Bitterroot Ranch Dude Ranch Vacations
Ranch
Sights & Landmarks
Rustic-chic cabins, some with wood stoves, in a wilderness retreat with varied horseback riding.
Seven days, twenty plus hours of walk trot riding for me and walk, trot, canter for my experienced wife. She got the opportunity on two days to relocate some adventurous cows who were grazing, where they should not have been. We climbed from 7,500 ft to about 9,000 or higher elevations with incredible 360 high peak views. Private, separated cabins. Great breakfast, lunch, and dinners with wine and delicious chef prepared desserts. Family owned and hands-on operated since 1971. Incredible riding vacation. We will return

I did the pack trip in Fall '22. It was an amazing first trip to WY. You get to wake up to the sound of horses galloping past your tent. Scenery and food was amazing. But prepare for the cold at night- we had snow! Definitley not "glamping" or a leisure holiday but if you want a true wilderness adventure experience this is for you. They also cater to beginners but the terrain was very steep at times. I would only recommend for intermediate horseback riders and above.

Wyoming is beautiful & Bitterroot as home & headquarters to Equitours is legendary but that is about the extent of Bitterroot Ranches’ appeal.
I had an opportunity to visit Bitterroot last summer during the pandemic so it was quiet with only a handful of guests. During my stay, I found the owners, the Fox Family of Bitterroot rude, unacommodating, inflexible and inhospitable. First conversation upon my arrival with the owner Bayard, he inquired where I was from to which I replied ‘New York’ and he responded with ‘worst city in US, I could never live there’ infront of a dozen guests.
The rooms were cold, mattresses uncomfortable, cabins spaced 10-15 min walk from the main ranch, you are truly in the wilderness (which at times felt unsafe with no locks on the doors). As a life long urbanite, I did not have experience starting a fire (this being my first ranch vacation) so I requested that a fire be started for me in my room which was freezing at night. Mel (Bayard Fox’s wife) shut down my request, gave me an incredulous look as if she could t believe that I didn’t know how to start a fire and said she could give me a ‘demonstration’ on how to start a fire in the main living room but they can’t do it for me in my room.
The riding is extremely restrictive & regimented with sporadic canters which makes for a nose to tail trail riding experience (albeit one with gorgeous scenery) The food is subpar, buffet style. Mostly orientated towards heavy meat eaters, without many options for vegetarians or vegans.
The saving grace were the wranglers who seemed to possess immense knowledge of the geo political history of the area/landscape & made for interesting conversations out on trails.
Unfortunately, Bitterroot leverages it’s reputation via Equitours without any real inclination to serve its guests.

Bitterroot Ranch is a life experience. It's so much more than just a horseback riding vacation. The Fox family shares their gorgeous Ranch, family and history of the Wind River area with all who come here. The food is delicious, the cabins are cute and cozy and the animals are a joy to watch. I am already starting to save money so I can go back!

I vacationed here in June 2022, and had a nice time in general. The horses were lovely and the scenery stunning. The food was pretty good overall. The cabin we stayed in had swarms of flies (living and dead) that found their way inside through the windows daily. The dead ones covered the bottom of the bathtub every day and you had to clean them all out before stepping into the shower, which was gross. The cabin I stayed in was in need of repair and the mattresses were extremely uncomfortable. After riding all day, it would have been nice to have a semi-comfortable mattress. I wonder how old they are? For the money I paid, the lodging accommodations were truly disappointing.

Bitterroot Ranch is an absolute must for anyone who loves horses and the great outdoors! Located next to the Shoshone National Forest the ranch provides a truly authentic experience. The Fox family was extremely welcoming, the ranch accomodates any riding skill and even provides riding lessons to give you the option to improve and move to a more advanced group. The horses are well taken care of and trained providing for a safe ride at any level. The surrounding nature is absolutely stunning. The ranch is a wonderful place to connect with people with similar interests and my week there was over too soon! Could not recommend the experience more!

Great choice of staff but the manager Mel is extremely disrespectful to some of the staff. She has made several uncalled for remarks to staff, creating an unfavorable work environment and then when the worker quit, Mel said “I’m sorry your that kind of person”. What kind of manager says that. Absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable. I personally know the worker and they do nothing less than their best, which believe me, is above and beyond most people I know. Then when the worker put in her two weeks, as to be respectful and give a proper heads up and allowing Mel time to find a replacement, Mel decided to kick her off the ranch a week and a half early and then complain about it. Nothing warrants this behavior from someone who calls themselves a professional business owner. It’s an absolute disgrace and a wonder that the worker was able to stay as long as she did. The Food is pretty good I hear.

This was a FANTASTIC vacation at a truly AUTHENTIC ranch. The entire operation was top-notch and professional. The horses (and other animals) were so well taken care of. We rode through majestic lands (ranch is flanked by an Indian reservation and a state park) and the wranglers were very knowledgeable about the horses, the lands, and surrounding land conservation.
The staff could not have tailored our rides better! My daughters rode a multitude of terrific ponies and I got to ride some really comfortable Arabians. One of the highlights was working with the cattle on horseback!
The cabins were clean and comfortable, close to the river for amazing sound.
Three amazing farm-to-table meals a day created by their own chef!
Plenty of area hiking and fly fishing opportunities.
This is a really special place! Wonderful back stories on the jewelry, artifacts and art sold here. Treasures you will keep for a lifetime. Lovely gifts as well. Don't miss it if you are anywhere near Dubois/Jackson Hole.

A fun store if you enjoy native american jewelry, pottery, or art work and rugs. Staff is fun and knowledgable, making you feel at home yet entertained. Worth stopping for!
Great gas prices despite the oil executives price gouging us! Super friendly staff, awesome trinkets and crafty local snacks. Also, very good ice cream. Of course the Jackalopes are fun too! An experience worth having 👍

Meh. I thought the Jackalope was an actual creature and came in wanting to learn more about it (thought this was similar to the Big Horn Sheep Center a short distance away). Probably should have Googled it first lol. There is some fun merchandise with some fun humor. The giant dolls might be fun for small kids. They do let you climb on the displays. I would not be upset if I missed this on my next trip here.

So.... A long long loooong time ago when I was driving around the country looking at mountains and stuff I drove through this little town. One of my family members yelled out, "LETS GO TO THAT PLACE!" I turned around and yelled back," HECK YEAH LETS DO IT!!" So me, aunt Milly, sister Sara, brother Him, little nephew Burt and little niece Burtette all went in. We left Grandpa Poopy Pants in the car, he doesn't like going anywhere.... None of us know why he comes on vacation with us.
Anyways we were just needing to stop to pee and maybe get a drink and maybe a whatnot or two. Turns out that this place has a bit of everything. I bought a magnet that is still on my refrigerator today. Says something about this whole town is high... Elevation 6900 ft. We spent quite a while in the store looking around. Forcing the niece and nephew to sit on the oversized Jackalope. It's really fun but it's far to big to be a real Jackalope ...(I know a real Jackalope named Samuel L Jefferson, he's from Illinois. You wouldnt think Jackalopes are in Illinois but Samuel told me that Illinois is an awful state and no one thinks to look for them there.)
I don't remember too much else about the store, other than they have a large selection of a lot of different stuff. And the guy working the money box was a nice man if memory serves. One thing I do remember, were the beautiful mountain views in and out of this town.
If you are still reading this review, that's cool and so are you. But if you find yourself at this place, tell them Gutter sent ya. They don't know me and it won't get you notin but a strange look. And that's something you can hold dear to your soul for the rest of your life!
Ps. I love you
Was a sad movie that made me cry... So much... Like over and over. I hate that movie.... But this store, I like.

This place is so much fun, the lady running the show made it so worth the stop! She is friendly, personable, knowledgeable and a wonderful woman to just chat with. I only wish I had gotten her name and contact info. My college friend and I were on an adventure and made sure we stopped at Country Store on our way back through to home. We were going to buy a pie! Yes PIE! Unfortunately, they didn't have any this day, lol. Next time! We bought great fudge and utilized their very nice, clean facilities. A room of T-Shirts is a must stop to see, and remember, there may be a Big Foot around any corner! ~Best stop in all of Wyoming!

Pumped gas one pump 1. It took over 20 minutes to fill my 12 gallon tank. There is no pay at the pump option. The inside of the store is very crowded and claustrophobia inducing, the narrow doorway and isle to the cashier makes it difficult to navigate in and out of the store if there are any other patrons in the store. But the thing that makes this a one star review is the fact that the pumps DO NOT SHUT OFF when your tank is full. Gas overflowed my tank and ran down the side of my vehicle. It wasn’t until I heard the splashing on the ground that I realized the pump was just going to keep going. Such an extreme safety hazard and a waste of money and time. I’ll never return to this gas station.

Was going to stop and visit here like we've done at the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation but just to get in the door for the three of us was over $15. Might have been worth it but the building is small so didn't think there could be that much to see. Moved on down the road to other exhibits.

Beautiful display and great staff – definitely a must see.
This is located right off the south side of the main road through Dubois (26) and in front of Dubois Park. There is a fair size parking lot. The building and exhibit are free and are very nice. You enter and exit through the gift shop. They are COVID compliant with shields and face masks. As you enter you are greeted by a person who explains about the exhibit and offers information on a driving tour through a wildlife management area about 4 miles east of town. There is a 10 minute video that runs on a loop and displays that show the various sheep and habitats. It is very nicely done and the staff was excellent. I leaned a lot and recommend this for anyone interested in bighorn sheep.

While driving back from the Wind River Reservation to Jackson, my wife and I decided to make a stop here. I'm not really sure what we were expecting, but it was definitely worth a stop. Between learning more about the life of bighorn sheep, their history and role in the area, and getting to touch their fur and skulls, we both learned a lot. The displays are very well put together and maintained, and the information is very clear but still packed with information. By far, this was one cool collection. The cabins and relics from the past really bring the pioneer days to life. I enjoyed reading the personal letters and journal entries the museum had on display. I had no idea about the history of area in WWII. My favorite part was learning about the trees that grew around rams skulls that were placed in trees. I was told that the museum has two of the three known tree sections that came from the area. Very cool.

Wide spot in the road. Good parking. Short trail to memorial. Nice views. No facilities
I love this spot right off the highway. Almost every time I drive this mountain pass, I stop here for a quick relaxing stop. Also its a good spot for a quick bathroom break.

Discovered this lake by accident 30 years ago because my son needed a potty stop. It was prettier before the pine beetles destroyed the lodge poles, but it is still one of my favorite places to visit (after the snow melts)

Heart Six Ranch is a rustic dude ranch located in the Eagle Valley of Colorado. The ranch offers guests dining, outdoor activities, and a free airport shuttle. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, and the meals were excellent. The room was rustic yet modern, clean and comfortable, with an awesome shower. This place is great for resting, dining, and relaxing in the Eagle Valley.
Low Key Spot. Helpful staff from start to finish. We did dogsledding with Justin and he/the pups were awesome. Very personable and approachable. Great food cooked up by Madison in the grille. Owner (Frank) was a bit stand-offish but don’t let that sway you from coming. The staff runs this place incredibly well.

We stayed in Packsaddle #1 for one night. It had an amazing view of the Tetons. The beds were very comfortable. Bathroom had heated tiles and a beautiful stone shower. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and welcoming. We were able to learn about the dog sled dogs and get to know the workers of the ranch more. It’s not fancy or high end, it met our needs and we will be back. Great “mom and pop” type losing and ranch.

I would say this is a one star place to stay with a five star view. I will start with the restaurant. The food was decent , but it was way overpriced. It didn't take us long to get our meals. The gal that took our order kept saying "what else" after each of us ordered. She was very rude. The room was a disaster. Neither the A/C nor the heater worked. Only one light in the room and it was a lamp. The beds had a sheet and a blanket, and that was all. We froze all night. The floor was dirty and you would flush the toilet only to have it slowly come back up. The hot water was non-existent. There was no table and only one chair in the room. The couch sunk down in the middle. If this is the only place to stay, sleep in your car.

We walked into our room and it was about 90 degrees. Lowered the thermostat and opened the door and window so it could cool down. Next, into the bathroom and there was no shower curtain. I went to the desk and asked, she apologized and would take care of it. I offered to install the shower curtain to help out. After dog sledding [our host was Taylor] experience - which was nice and informative but we didn't expect to turn circles in a field, we headed back for hot cocoa. An employee who wasn't very friendly and seemed put out, served us luke-warm drinks. So we decided to have dinner elsewhere. The next morning we planned to shower, check out and try to catch a sunrise at the Grand Tetons. The shower knob was broken so my wife, daughter and I were unable to shower. I called the ranch multiple times, finally spoke with Thomas who said my request for a billing adjustment would be sent to "corporate". After four additional calls to Thomas [none of which were ever returned] I quit. So, I can honestly say our stay was most underwhelming and, not only would I not visit again but anyone who asks I would say it's a one-star place at best.

Very peaceful and beautiful ranch. They have a restaurant and guest lodge. The views were amazing and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We were there during their slower season, Yellowstone was not open yet. They had winter activities we did not take advantage of, but we would love to return in the future and spend more time there.

My family and I stayed in Jackson, WY for the Labor Day weekend and wanted to surprise the kids with something out-of-our-norm Jackson visits. I am a travel agent and came across the Heart Six Ranch on one of my vendor sites. The price was lower than the other outfitters in the area but the reviews were just as good! The ranch did not disappoint. We got there and checked in at an adorable and authentic cowboy cafe. The bathrooms were clean and the restaurant area was full of character. As we waited for the prior group to finish their ride, we were greeted by an cowboy named Kevin. He was very friendly and authentic. His character was great on the trail and we learned a lot about the area and some of its history. He was very kind to our group and made sure we felt safe and comfortable. The youngest in the group was my 8 year old daughter and she felt comfortable and excited the entire 2 hours. They ladies and gentlemen that matched our group with horses were very kind and knowledgeable. The horses were behaved and didn’t make us feel unsafe. All my daughters loved the horses they were paired with and we all enjoyed our ride. As an agent, I will be recommending this outfit to my clients and to my agent network. Highly recommend to anyone that wants to enjoy a scenic and safe ride in the beautiful mountains around Jackson!

The room that we were in was NOT clean. Cabin 2. They say no pets allowed. Yet, the carpet and bed had some fur. On the floor, it had some cookies crumbs, dust, and bugs. Under the bed were some medication/pills. It smelled horrible worst than a ranch. The restroom seemed it was not clean for weeks. We told the front and was like they didn't care. Think twice before going because there's no hotel nearby to go to. We didn't had another choice but to stay. Please don't go alone. The good thing I came with my family. The room next door was connected to our bedroom. Yes it was closed and locked the door. The door was like a regular one that you have in your bedrooms/wooden door. Yet, we were able to hear everything from the other room. There's no privacy. You can't warm up anything. We had our little portable electric mainly used to warm up water for our soups. They told us we cannot use anything because it can start a fire. For a cup 8oz of boiling water, they charged $5 even if you provide them the cup with water. There's no TV. About the TV it didn't bother us. Mainly, it is neither SAVE nor CLEAN.

This place should definitely have 5 five-star🌟
Just starting on the location, it's the perfect place to stay and visit 2 of the most beautiful nations parks. They have a great variety of options, of you want to stay at the Tipis and get like a fancier camping experience you can definitely do it in a safe space. We booked a room since we like to get to a nice bed, and this was over expectations. The decoration was so beautiful, everything was so clean! really nice and gives an extra touch to the ranch experience. From the #1 room , the morning was the most amazing part of the stay. Get to see the open space, and the horses right in front were amazing . We also experienced dinner the night we got there, nothing fancy, but the burgers were really tasty. Great service as well! everyone was really friendly. The next day we got breakfast and we were good to go. I see it could seem a little overpriced, but let's face it, we are in the middle of nowhere, and food in the villages was even more expensive and very limited in options.
I think this menu is great! and I'll highly recommend this place and hopefully one day have the opportunity to come back again 😊

We only did the snowmobiling. But what a great experience, Denver was our guide. He was a wealth of knowledge about the area, the trail and mountain. They had a shuttle service that picked us up and returned us to our hotel. Another plus for us was they supplied all gear!!!!! Denver was great to stop for photos. We made reservations thru a third party so we had to add insurance before we rode. However you are issued great gear and 2021 rides. Your ride will take you the top of the continental divide. It’s a big open meadow where you can go full throttle and the full experience of the snowmobile.

I am bikepacking the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route and this was a great place to stop. The meals were excellent and the portions generous. The employees have all been polite and helpful.
The room was rustic yet modern. Everything was clean and comfortable and featured an awesome shower. Great few of the valley. I highly recommend this place for dining, resting, and relaxing.

Well when we walked in to our room it was so cute. The restaurant staff was very nice and helpful. Food was delicious
However once we really looked at our room, it was dirty. The floor had not been swept, there was dirt all over the wall where the light switches are, the bathroom floor is filthy and last but not least about the room……the shower curtain was disgusting. Online it says there is community coffee. Nope
And they wanted to charge us $5 per cup of coffee at the restaurant. No refrigerator in the room. No ice maker.
This place has so much potential, just not there yet.

This place is rustic and awesome. The staff and everyone we ran into were super nice. You have to eat at the café there. The supper was good and breakfast was great! Our room had 2 beds, a desk and couch; enough for 4 adults. It was clean and quiet. The lodge we were assigned was by the "roundup" and it had a dinning room and common area attached. The view of the Tetons was amazing from the commons room. The view from the parking area was even better.

Please do not book this place for lodging on your trip! The activities are fine and a pretty scenery, but this place is by far the worst place I have ever seen lodging wise. They are so gross, our room was not cleaned at all. There were rodent droppings everywhere including on the bed, trash all over the room, dust on everything, outlets didn’t work, blinds didn’t work… this place has never been clean properly and the manager was very disrespectful and they absolutely refuse to refund us. I understand having a cancellation policy but we did our part. We showed up on time, checked in, and we get stuck in the most unsanitary room. They wouldn’t even give us new linens. Just save your money, you’re welcome.

The tree house cabin was amazing for the 8 of us...My husband and I, our daughter and our 5 grandchildren. Amazing views, loved the horses, all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They showed us where to easily bring our two young grandsons to fish on the property! Food was good and not priced any differently than similar foods in the park or in Jackson. We had a problem with the toilet not flushing very well the evening we checked in, the next day while we were out they put in a new toilet! This is an amazing place and I can't understand the negative reviews.

This is a very nice place to stay. The only drawbacks are that the cabin we stayed in had 3 more rooms in it. The walls are very thin. We could hear everything that our neighbors said. At least they quieted done around 10. It is a very basic room, which was fine for us. We didn't spend a lot of time in it. The bed was very comfortable.

My now fiancé booked a private snowmobile tour for a surprise engagement. Despite the extreme winter weather that morning, Heart Six Ranch truly delivered to help pull it off. They took us to a remote trail with beautiful views of the trees and snow, and even allowed a personal photographer in disguise of a photographer for their website to join and capture this special moment. Thomas was an incredible guide and took us out to Brooks Lake Lodge for lunch to celebrate. After our time with Thomas, I felt like I had known him forever and consider him a dear friend. Thomas, you are amazing and I hope we cross paths again someday!
Heart Six Ranch, THANK YOU for such a beautiful, memorable experience!! I will never forget this day!!!

Staying at Heart 6 Ranch was a terrible experience. The room was filthy with mouse droppings in the dresser. The bathroom was dirty and the hot water didn’t work in the shower. A drunk man entered our room with a key! Stayed one night and asked for a refund for the other 6 nights which was refused. The man at the registration desk was rude and aggressive. When I asked to see the manager, I was greeted with rudeness and aggression again while he was wearing a holstered gun. I left. I then contacted my credit card company to dispute the $1400 charges. My stay was September 27 and on January 6 I was notified that my $1400 was back in my pocket! Thank you Visa! I would never recommend a stay at Heart 6 ranch.

There were so many different options but most had age restrictions for kids etc, we chose Heart 6 and had a great time, staff was incredibly friendly and sweet with our 3 year old. They gave us a blanket so we wouldn’t be too cold, introduced us to the dogs and let us play and pet them all after our sled ride. Complimentary hot chocolate was provided as well after to warm up in the dining area. We will be going back soon <3

The view from this place was outstanding and definitely something I will never forget. While visiting the area my wife wanted to go horseback riding for the first time. So I booked a 2hr ride and we set out on our adventure. Arrived to check in and was directed to the stables once we did some paperwork. The horses where being watered and tended to prior to the ride. They matched each rider with a specific horse they thought was the appropriate size. I rode "General" which was a very large horse I assume because I am not a small guy. Anyway, we had a great time. The horse were very tame and knew the trail very well. We crossed the river twice, which I thought was very cool. My family owned a horse when I was younger but I had never got to ride through a river. Overall it was a pleasurable experience and the weather was GREAT (9-19-23).
Nestled in a remote area near Yellowstone, Buffalo Valley Cafe is a charming restaurant and bar that pleasantly surprises visitors. Despite initial doubts about the prices, the friendly staff and skilled chef quickly won over diners with delicious food. While some experienced slight delays in service, the overall experience left patrons eager to return for more. The small establishment may benefit from additional help or management, but its simple yet great food and amazing staff make it a hidden gem worth discovering.
No idea how this place only has 3.5 stars…. food was simple and great staff was amazing !!! View was amazing.

Visited in September of 2022. We went there for the huckleberry milk shake (very small portion for the money), but decided to get lunch. The food was decent, but the service was way below average, especially since they include a 20% gratuity on the bill and only mention it in very fine print at the bottom of the menu. We will not be going back.
Zebulon Oehlman — Google review
Better food at close by locations. But what makes me give this place 1 star is that the menu item descriptions do not match the actual menu item… leading one to believe what they are ordering is something else. For example the Buffalo Sirloin and Eggs with lettuce tomato and bacon is in fact a ground bison with bacon, no lettuce, no tomato. I have very little respect for misrepresentation of something as simple as a menu description. The server did give us a free water bottle. Which pushed my review to a 3 star due to friendly service. And although the menu item was misrepresented, the food wasn’t bad… kind of a shame could have gone much higher.

The employees were great especially the guy behind the bar. He was basically running the entire restaurant and had very little help. The staff and food are great, the restaurant just needs additional help or a manager. We ordered 2 burgers and they were great. It is a small restaurant and we did not modify our meals and got everything efficiently and it came out perfect.

NOT WORTH IT!!!!
The view is great. You seat yourself.
One guy working the bar, taking orders, and delivering food. He did his best. But 2 of our meals were wrong. People were cleaning their own tables. He was too busy to make milkshakes. It was just painful to watch.
The kitchen didn't do much better. How do you mess up a well done burger? The ceasar dressing was THICK and may have been spoiled. Just a huge disappointment. 3 adult meals and 1 kids meal with 2 cans of beer was $120. And let's not forget a mandatory tip.

We went there for dinner, and we ordered a burger and a New York steak. They charged me $78 and 20% gratuity, but I got no service, no water, and many flies around my table/whole restaurant. Everythingis not worth it and disgusting...

We were searching for a good food place in this remote area after crossing Yellowstone, and this popped out. At first we didn't think it would be good (and also the price was a bit high from the menu), but the chef was good and the cashier was very friendly as well. The food tasted really good. Serving time was a bit high, and my order got delayed somehow. But would definitely try again!

Drove out of my way because a friend told me he'd had a great burger here and didn't read the reviews (silly me!)... Well the buffalo burger was very good! But the service was lousy, on top of the fact that you have to pay up front ("we can't keep track of open tabs") and the mandatory 20% gratuity. I about tipped an additional 20% when I noticed it was already added because the total seemed high. Guess the gal knew she didn't have to actually work for that tip... I was the only one in there and she couldn't bring some silverware with her as she passed it when she brought my plate ("silverware and condiments are at the bar") and never came back to check on me to see if everything was ok. Made me feel like a total inconvenience in her day. Lucky me though, they didn't charge me for the tap water! Would not recommend and don't plan to return. I really give it 1 for service but 5 to the chef.
Sue Long Smith — Google review
Very possibly the worst food I’ve ever had. The bread was burned, the hamburger was raw, the french fries were soaked in grease and undercooked, the sodas were low on syrup, they were flies all around the table, they were out of the first several things that I tried to order off the menu, and the help was questionably friendly and efficient at best. You have to pay and leave a tip before your meal is delivered. Unfortunate because if we’d paid after, we wouldn’t have paid for the meals or left a tip. Do yourself a favor and get food literally anywhere else. I would have given 0 stars if it had been a choice.

We stopped tonight on our way back to our resort. Best food decision we've made here yet. The food was prepared extremely well and super fast. We ordered three burgers with fries and were eating in 10 minutes. And they were pretty busy!
There was only one server tonight and he was taking orders, bussing tables, running food, and making milkshakes. If you go, definitely get a Huckleberry shake, they're amazing!
Prices were actually more reasonable than most other places nearby. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

The Swift Creek Outfitters Teton Horseback Adventures offers a breathtaking horseback riding experience in the beautiful wilderness of Grand Teton National Park. Riders of all levels are able to enjoy this unique experience with their own guide, ensuring a safe and fun ride for everyone.
We originally set out do to one of their 2 hour rides, but rain had made the slopes too muddy so we did the 1 hour instead. While we were upset at first, we were glad they made the decision for the our safety and the horses. Our group of 6 was able to have our own guide through the beautiful wilderness. The horses all looked well cared for and were great to ride. I don't remember our guide's name, but he was very friendly and willingly answered all of our questions. I recommend Swift Creek for a great time!

This place is terrific! Our wrangler, Shayla, couldn’t have been any better. Nor could her co wrangler, Mo!
My girls all had the best time of our journey yet.
Shayla even let my granddaughter wear her hat for a final picture after the outstanding ride!
We are not experienced horse people, but they made us feel comfortable and safe on our ride. We did the 2 hour ride across the creek, through the forest and up the mountain to get a fabulous view of the Grand Tetons!
Highly recommend!

We were visiting the Grand Tetons from Richmond Virginia. After reading all the great reviews about this place, we decided to go for it on Friday 9/15 and take the 2 hour trail ride, and I'm SOOOO glad we did! It turned out to be the LAST DAY of trail riding for the season...we were so lucky to catch them before the closed. If you want a serious mountain trail ride with stream crossings, a variety of terrain, from steep to easy and gorgeous views, this is the ride for you. They have something like 180 horses, so you're almost guaranteed a "private ride" which is exactly what we got. All the staff is very friendly, the horses are well cared for and well mannered. Hondo the trail dog kept everybody together :) Bill our guide was awesome and if you just listen to him...you'll learn a lot about the spirit of horses and a different way to look at life in general. It's easily the best trail ride I've ever experienced...worth every penny if not more.

Such a cool experience! I’ve been horseback riding in a few different states & this was my fave! We did the 2 hour ride & it was pretty cool. We went through fields, up & down hills & rocks, went through the woods & then went through a river twice! It was awesome! Our horses end up trotting a lot which is cool so your not just walking the whole time. Always wish I can gallop, but nope. Our guide Beth was super sweet & I can’t wait to go back!

If you’re looking for a top notch trail ride while visiting the Tetons, you’ve now found it! My husband and I loved our ride through the river and up a mountain culminating in a spectacular view of the Tetons! Our guide, Levi, wasn’t just personable, but he was exceptionally knowledgeable and was a great conversationalist as well. He took us out on a private ride which enhanced our ability to converse and learn from his breadth of experience. This was, without a doubt, the best trail ride experience we’ve ever had!

We are extremely happy we found the wonderful folks at Swift Creek Outfitters. Our rental spot was in Cody so we had plenty of time to get there with no reservation necessary. Our ride started within 15 minutes of our arrival and we had Levi for our wrangler/guide. Their horses are amazing. We learned lots about the area from him and Chelsie, and I'd sure like to try an elk hunt in the fall with them.

We were a party of 3 on a Saturday morning. They were quick to greet us and get us out on the horses. Our two guides, Bradley and Matt were fantastic! They were knowledgable about the horses and area and very engaging. My two young adult kids said this was the best riding experience they have ever had! The water crossing was exciting, the views at the top of "Big Daddy" were breathtaking and the dog Rita who accompanied us from base camp was the unofficial leader of the pack! Highly recommended! This outfitter is a bit off the beaten path, but definitely worth the detour to get there!

OMG the best horse back riding experience we had anywhere !! Totally worth the drive. We took the Little Pulpit ride which doesn't required any experience. My boyfriend and I went on the 2.5 hour “grand daddy” tour over Labor Day weekend. He was worried about getting there early, since they don’t take reservations, but it was not a problem. The Outfitters have a lot of horses that are saddled and ready to go when you get there. This ride was beautiful, but also not for the faint of heart. My boyfriend and I both have some experience riding (we’re not expert by any means), but there were some areas of the trail that were quite steep going up and down. We went deep into the woods and came out on a high ridge just below the top of the mountain with stunning views all around us. Our guide, Bill, was superb and provided little tips on how to guide the horses through the terrain, as well as interesting conversation. He was also very knowledgeable about the area, and pointed out various other features that we saw. Overall, this was one of the highlights of our trip and if we’re ever in the area again, we plan to schedule another ride with them!

I had an amazing time on the 2 hour Big Grand View horseback trail ride with Swift Creek Outfitters in the Bridger Teton National forest! Bill was an excellent guide telling us facts about the Tetons, the forest and the creatures that roam within. I rode Dixie, a fantastic mare for a beginner like me. We rode up some steep inclines at a good clip, knocked my glasses right off my head! (Thanks Bill for retrieving them for me😀). Bill taught us how to manage the steps and steep descents, we even had to do a little bush wracking to get around a fallen tree on the path. I felt safe the entire time and had an adventure of a lifetime! 100% recommend Swift Creek Outfitters!!!

This was a fun ride. I wouldn't recommend the 3 hour unless you really have the experience only because you will really feel it when you're done. The trail was neat with varied terrain that made it fun to ride on. The guides were knowledgeable and skilled. We had a great time!

We went on the two hour beginner ride package. Approximately $85+ per person. It was our first time horseback riding, so definitely no experts here. I was lucky to get Miss Valentine who was very good. Whenever I just say “Let’s Go Girl”, she will automatically follow the horse in front. But some of my friend’s horses were very naughty and uncontrollable, so the experience was not as fun for them.
PSA there will be a lot of mosquitoes. Got bites that itched for days.

We arrived with nine gals with various levels of experience looking to do a 2hr trail ride at 10am on a Friday morning. The staff was so friendly, helpful, and accommodating - I knew nothing about the company prior to coming out to Wyoming, and they lived up to their great reviews. We were on horses and on our way within 30 minutes of arrival (which is great for a large group) and our guide was both helpful and explanatory. Can’t say enough good things. The views were gorgeous and this was by far a trip highlight for everyone!
Triangle X Ranch is a renowned outfitter that offers scenic float trips on the Snake River in Grand Teton National Park. The outfitters expertise allows for a safe and comfortable trip down the 10 most stunning river miles in the park, providing a unique vantage point from which to see the Tetons and other wildlife up close.
The views were beautiful and the weather was fantastic. The rafting company made the experience turnkey from managing getting on the river and off without a hitch. Safety was 1st class and our guide was fantastic telling us stories about the river and surrounding area. Highly recommend this company for a float trip. We really enjoyed our Scenic River Cruise with Triangle X Ranch! Scheduled the 5 pm tour so we could catch some beautiful sunset views of the Tetons. Our raft had 6 people total and made for lively conversation! Dan, our guide, exercised the utmost in skills and safety all while telling interesting stories about Grand Teton National Park’s history, wildlife, and other various activities to experience while visiting. He even spotted a moose, beaver, and river otter for us! We absolutely recommend this relaxing cruise down the beautiful Snake River.

S and I booked this trip as part of our one week in Yellowstone and surrounding area. Our float guide and driver were both personable and knowledgeable! We had 10 people on the tour, all were pleasant. Scenery was stunning, as everyone's pics verify. We saw 4 bald eagles in the two hours ... one of them taking a splash bath in the river. And then amazingly, two moose(s?) drinking from the river within 100 yards of our pull-out. Great time, heartily recommend.

The scheduling and signing of waivers were all on line and easy. Instructions were clear about where to meet the crew. There were about 32 people that went, but the rafts were not packed (about 8 people per raft). Everything was on time and organized. We even got help putting on the life vests which are provided. I felt totally safe the entire float. It was so beautiful and was the highlight of our Montana/Wyoming trip. This is well worth the money!

A perfect way to start or end the day along the Snake River! We took the last float of the day and it was the absolute highlight of our trip. The company from start to finish was first class, focusing first on safety and then on their incredible expertise of the river and area. The Float and the float guide (Jack) were a great experience, but pass on the dinner it's not worth the money. The float is very relaxing our guide did an excellent job guiding the tour on a windy day and still spotting lots of wildlife. We did the evening dinner float and the food was not good at all, the chicken breast was burned to a literal black crisp and was inedible, the other offerings were steak, salad, green beans, some diced fried potatoes, and a cookie--none of it standout and certainly not worth the extra money charged for dinner. Take the float, don't invest in the dinner and save the money to tip the guide.

What a wonderful trip! Worth every penny. Mike was our guide and he did a fabulous job . We saw so many animals. We saw a moose in the water, a bald Eagle, lots of pronghorns, about 5 busy beavers, common mergansers, and many more lovely creatures. The water was perfect and the 5:00 trip was the best time to go. We had such a great time our son and daughter-in-law booked a trip for this evening.

He spotted many wildlife for us. The dinner was the best meal we had during our visit. The steak was cooked perfectly!! I highly recommend this experience!!

What a spectacular float trip we had with Triangle X ranch. Jack was a wonderful guide giving us details about the River, the Tetons and the wildlife! We saw a bill moose with very big “paddles” as Jack called the antlers 😀! We also saw osprey fishing the river with 2 different bald eagles watching from the trees. I think I took 200 pictures of the Tetons. Thank you for a wonderful adventure!!

Wonderful experience! Great views of the Tetons from the Snake. Our guide was very knowledgeable of the area and pointed out several eagles and moose that were lounging on the riverbank. Our guide maneuvered the raft very well and was very cognizant of safety issues. Would highly recommend!

This trip was amazing! It was an alternative way to see the Tetons. There were no crowds. It was so peaceful and we had front row seats to some of the most beautiful scenery on the earth. Our guide, Jack, was great. He maneuvered the river perfectly and gave us interesting facts along the way. We were blessed to have a moose in the river directly in front of us. It was so awesome to be so close to him and watch him get to shore and get out of the river. The whole trip was an experience I will never forget. I highly recommend this trip! It is so worth it!

My wife and I had a wonderful couple of hours on our scenic raft trip with Turner down the Snake River. We met in Moose for a brief drive upriver to the launch site, and after a short safety briefing and getting into lifejackets, we climbed aboard with our 11 other riders and guide. My first question was quickly answered. We didn't get wet at all. It was a peaceful, leisurely, lovely float for the next 10 miles. Our guide Turner did an outstanding job keeping us in the flow of the water while describing our surroundings. He could spin the raft with ease, allowing for personal pictures with the Teton peaks in the background. He answered every question asked and spotted bald eagles for us to see. Definitely a couple of the best hours spent on our month long vacation. We had such a great time, we had to later stop at the IX Ranch to pick up some swag. Well done to everyone at Triangle X! Well worth our time and expense!

We had an amazing time on our float trip. Our guide was awesome in navigating a bit of bad weather we had with wind and rain. Even though the weather wasn't perfect, it made for an amazing trip down the river seeing 2 moose, 3 bald eagles and lots of other wildlife. Our guide answered all of our questions and had a ton of knowledge of the park, animals and the Tetons. We would highly recommend Triangle X Ranch for your float trip!
The trip was changed from the early morning to the afternoon. The company contacted us by email and phone to make sure we received the changes. Great communication on short notice! Very pleased with the experience.

Our guide Jim was great in answering all our questions, sharing his stories, spotting wildlife and his knowledge of the area. So glad we added this tour at the last minute. So worth it.

We had the most amazing time! We met new people and our guide Nick, was awesome. He was friendly and the eye of an Eagle. Which he spotted 2. Also a moose and her calf laying at the water’s edge. A beaver and his amazing wood working skills. Pictures that will last a lifetime. Thank you so much for a experience our family will be taking about for a lifetime. Bill

Located in the northwestern corner of Yellowstone National Park, Signal Mountain Summit Road provides scenic views of Jackson Hole, Jackson Lake, and the towering Teton Range. The 4.3-mile route is steep at times, making it a challenge to drive up to the peak; however, the incredible views make it well worth the effort.
Great views overlooking Jackson hole area. Worth the drive!! We did an audio tour and drove to the top and back down. Not sure it's a walking trail we only saw the sign and paved area to drive to top.

Great view from higher up. You can't see the full Teton range from the top, but you might be able to with a short hike from the next stop down.

Beautiful easy drive to the top. The bonus was seeing a mama bear and her 3 cubs. She walked near our truck and went up into the woods. Then around the corner we saw a fox with a critter in its mouth. Well worth the drive to the top.

ABSOLUTELY stunning. Beautiful drive. Follow the signage that says "NO TRAILERS". Definitely some hair pin turns and tight squeeze places to pass each other but totally worth it.

A must visit. From the main road it's about 15 minutes up to the summit, I think highest point that one can drive in the park. We saw it close to sunset and views are spectacular from there. There a few paths with different viewpoints.. Check out some of my photos.

You must go here. Grand Teton is perhaps the most photogenic National Park. This viewpoint allows you to see an almost 360 degree view of the surrounding area, with a couple of viewpoints to see the Tetons from elevation. The Snake River and Bridger-Teton National Forest are below you as well. A short drive to the top presents a great place for a picnic or a few minutes of awe.

Has restroom facilities. Nice views. Beautiful wildflowers. Busy with tourists. A bit hazy. Needed low gears for steep road.

Worth the drive up! Beautiful viewpoint. We didn't do any hiking up here, just stopped to take pics.

There’s a winding narrow five mile drive up to two view points. The first is quite small and crowded, it’s best to continue on to the top, where there is more parking. A short walk up a paved path to the overlook rewards you with stunning views of the valley below. I thought the view was neat but I wouldn’t do the drive again. Too many people driving too fast and veering into the middle on turns. I was driving a little Honda and I was constantly being pushed to the very edge of the road. Also it clearly says no large vehicles or RVs and we had a rental motorhome almost run us off into the bushes. But, like I said, the view at the top is stunning.

This was one of the best views we had! If you have the time, do it! There are 2 pullout areas. The first is near the cell tower. There is another one further up the road. Views are slightly different from each perspective.

We went there by mistake. We thought this is the Jackson Point Overlook. However, the view is great. When we were there, it was raining very hard. There is a VZ signal tower there, I was surprised to have strong signal. The view of the Jackson Lake is blocked by trees. You should go for the Jackson Point Overlook.

This is a well maintained road to the summit with beautiful scenery. We rode our e-bikes up and back down this road. Very easy and vehicles are courteous. There are 2 different places to stop to see the views, which are incredible. The first stop has trails to see the views. They are easy and short. The second stop is paved and a short walk to the top. Highly recommend this drive. Very pretty!

Definitely worth the drive to the summit of Signal Mountain when driving through Grand Teton. I'd reccommend stopping at both turn out points, and spending a few minutes at each admiring the views. It's not a far walk to the look out points from the road, and the views are well worth the detour!
