Sights & Landmarks
Columbia State Historic Park is a well-preserved gold mining town from the 1850s, offering visitors a glimpse into California's history. The park features costumed reenactors, tours, stagecoach rides, and gold panning activities. It is known for its well-maintained facilities including parking, bathrooms, and hiking trails with beautiful trees to admire. Visitors can also explore the nearby Stanislaus River for scenic hikes.
This was my first time coming to this historic park with my two year old and fiance. It was very cute! We did the gold panning, wanted photo and did the carriage ride. There are also beautiful photo opportunities to take of your kids. If you eat here I highly recommend St. Charles saloon kids are also welcomed

This is one of those special state parks that you might really appreciate. They’ve laid out the facility very well with great parking, very good bathrooms, hiking trails and family walk around the park trails. There’s also some beautiful trees to admire. I’ve spent a lot of time with the coastal redwoods and the Sierra version is similar but not the same. Still, big trees and up close. You can also drive down to the Stanislaus river and do hiking down there which is really beautiful. If you’re in the area I highly recommend this state park.

I took this trip with my son's school as a chaperone. It was the best! My family & I are huge fans of history. This is definitely a trip worth taking. We did get a private tour by the state park rangers because of the school. I'm not sure if this is offered on the spot to the public, I do believe it has to be prearranged. It is a town that's almost untouched by time. It was founded in the late 1800's during the gold rush in California. It is up in the mountains & it can get a bit chill. We went during late February & there was no snow, just a bit cold. Many didn't mind the cold. It is a self guided tour. It has a main street that has actual working & selling stores. There is a blacksmith whom still works in the town & sells one of a kind items. Up the town there's a 2 story school from that time era. It is the oldest 2 story school still standing to this day. We got the pleasure to interact with a lady whom pretended to have school with the kids & actually had them act like students back in 1800's. Our boys were separated from the girls. And the lady actually taught them all. I thought that was pretty cool! They have signs to indicate the path to the old school. There are restaurants, candy store, ice scream parlor, coffee, & gift shops. There's also a free 1800's bowling experience that anyone can play with while there. My group of kids were playing bowling for a long while. You set up your own pins as they are made of wood. They do have a candle making store. Areas of artifacts from the time period that are in display. Overall great to visit!

Love Columbia. Always have. The best time to visit Landmark 123, is on a weekday. There are less people/crowds to deal with. The first time I visited this Landmark, was in 2005. I was ten years old. In 2017, my family and I started visiting the park again. Reliving the memories over again. I recommend visiting Columbia whenever you have the chance. It's definitely worth it.

This park is absolutely awesome! They have lots of information when is the best time to visit on their website and I recommend reading it before planning a trip there. My kids and I had an amazing time moving back in time during one of their events. Really cool place to visit! Education, nature, good food (great restaurants there especially Mandy’s Cafe!!!!).
Ewa Qc — Google review
It was a perfectly crisp autumn day. It wasn't too crowded and all the staff we met throughout were quite friendly and fun.
The stagecoach ride was very enjoyable. This was the first time we had done it, but not our first time to the state park. A little difficult for adults with slight mobility issues to climb up into, but manageable. They have someone there to help you.

The Columbia State Historic Park is a must see destination if you are visiting California’s gold country. It is really well done preserving a walkable gold mining town from this important part of California’s history. Plan to spend at least three hours to tour all the indoor and outside displays. The historic collections and hands-on recreations bring the 49er Days to life in a fun way to learn about this history. This is one of the jewels of the California State Park system. It is kid friendly with the museum settings and the knowledge you will pickup here will enrich your experience discovering this region.

It's like stepping back in time into the Old West. A wonderful place to visit and expect to spend at least a couple of hours there. More if you decide to pan for gold or take the stagecoach ride. There's even a free guided walking tour. This is a must if you're in the area. Even if you're not, I highly recommend going to Columbia.
Duane — Google review
We absolutely love it for kids and kids at heart. Columbia deserves an all day leisurely experience. It was once to be the capital of CA, preserved as it was, saloons serve great food for families, sarsaparilla and real root beer. Enjoy stage coach rides, gold panning, bowling as in the olden days. View the dentist office, oriental medicine shop and literally dozens of "museum" exhibits. Educational and tons of fun for all.
Teri Gault — Google review
Another great spot we just happened to discover while in the area thanks to come local recommendations from wineries here.
This is a great little getaway to this area here where one can come explore an old town from gold rush times with some stuff being exactly the way it was in those days. The town has done ana amazing job of preserving its beauty and maintaining these things. Honestly you feel transported back in time and that is beautiful!
We also went to grab a nice ice ram in one of the restaurants and happened to notice that the owner has a functioning piano from the 18th century there.
This also somehow gave me perspective on the scale of things - everything was so close knit and near by .. the town center/grocerry store is literally walking distance from the jail.. and restaurants near by, to locksmiths stop. It’s quite an experience coming here and we loved to explore this as a family very much

Columbia State Historic Park is a great place to learn about the history of the California Gold Rush. We loved wandering through the historic buildings and streets but would have really enjoyed a guided walking tour so we could learn even more. The shops and restaurants were excellent too. Be sure to stop and say hi to the chickens, and go in the candy shop to grab a treat before you leave.
Nancy Hann — Google review
What a beautiful old town! I've been here only twice. Both visits have been wonderful. I love looking at various types of old things. I love how well most buildings and things are kept in good shape. The creepiest part was the jail cell. I will definitely be coming back.

This place is one of those places that make you feel your back in time. Love it. It's a great family experience. It has dining, bars, small museums and other things to offer for all ages. It's always enjoyable to go in the stores, they offer a glimpse of toys from other times and curiosities you don't find in many places. They have a stagecoach pulled by horses and it's a nice thing to do. If you check their website you will find different events thru the year that you can do
alone or as a family.
There is the Town of Sonora nearby which also has a lot to offer also the Moaning caverns are nearby, which are another adventure in itself. I have been here several times with different people and always love it.

Historic Columbia State Park is such an amazing place. Its closed off streets are lined with historical wooden and brick built buildings. There are upgraded businesses and those that appear untouched all hidden within the historical exterior. If you want a relaxing stroll, come early in the morning just before 9AM and watch the shops slowly peel back their iron doors. It’s busier during the day and of course more interactive if that’s what you prefer. If you’d like a journey back in time and even a place to stay...it’s a must see location! These photos were taking early AM.

Great place to visit and stroll around. So much to see. Friendly environment.

A Step Back in Time at Columbia State Historic Park
Visiting Columbia State Historic Park is like taking a delightful step back in time. From the moment you enter, you are transported to the Gold Rush era, with beautifully preserved buildings and streets that echo the 1850s. The park staff, dressed in period attire, are not only knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly and engaging. They are more than happy to share the rich history of this mining town.
One of the highlights of the park is the opportunity to pan for gold. It’s a fun and educational experience for both kids and adults. The shops are charming and offer a variety of unique, quality items, from handcrafted goods to old-fashioned candies. The Fallon House Theatre is a must-visit; the performances there are top-notch and add to the immersive experience of the park.
The park is immaculately clean and well-maintained, with plenty of shaded areas to relax and enjoy a picnic. It's evident that a lot of care and love goes into preserving this historic site for future generations to enjoy.
Whether you are a history buff or just looking for a unique and enjoyable day out with the family, Columbia State Historic Park is a gem that should not be missed when you are in California.
Beautiful flowers growing in baskets and containers leading to the entrance. Happened upon the chef on the grounds who shared tons of interesting information. Went inside for a wine tasting with a large variety of options. A very nice afternoon.

We visited on 3/21/24, had lunch on the deck and enjoyed the spectacular flowers.
Lunch was a bit pricey and unremarkable, but we weren't there for the food. :-)

Great place to explore . Museums, gardens, pathways. I always enjoy coming here and seeing the displays and revisiting the gardens.
Don’t have to come here just for wine tasting..

Best vineyard near Murphys, CA! Has beautiful landscaping, places to enjoy wine and light meals, great wine tasting experience for a low price, has evening concerts- just check their website- it has small gift store and cool museum with an actual huge gold nugget at their museum! So worth the trip! Murphy town is a great place to walk around, taste wines 🍷 and shop! The Moaning Caverns is not far and offers zip lining and cave tour!

A family’s labor of love is reflected in the magnificence of the property and the kindness of the folks working there to provide memorable and meaningful experiences. The wine tasting is a wonderful way to socialize with friends & family. I was quite fond of the the Sommelier whose knowledge and quick wit banter both delighted and educated me. Well worth the experience!

We took a road trip here on a nice sunny spring day.
We miss our "annual venture" to "Daffodil Hill" which closed within the last two years because of all the vehicle traffic it created.
On a suggestion from one of my wife's friend's who loves flowers, suggested a visit to this place.
This place was amazing in all of it's variety of "spring" flowers and manicured grounds.
They also have an amazing museum which tells about the history and some amazing petrified stone wood dating back millions of years ago.
The restaurant menu offers a variety of sandwiches which were reasonably priced and the staff friendly.
Our trip for this particular adventure was to see and enjoy the many flowers grown here and we were not disappointed. Overall we had a great time.

We had a private tour by patti and an elevated tasting with Buck. It was one of the most unique experiences we’ve ever had and felt incredibly lucky share the day with these two! The reserve wine fit our tastes perfectly and we left with more than a case of wine. We are definitely planning on going again!!

What an absolutely magic and blessed property. The wine is amazing. The grounds are beyond description. So peaceful and enjoyable. Their flowers in the half wine barrels are just gorgeous! They had Cabernet infused chocolate sauce and a chardonnay infused caramel sauce. Both are completely sinful, yet heavenly.
Mark Young — Google review
Amazing winery and history museum. It's easy to forget how much history california has. Don't forget to visit the 45 lb gold nugget but theres a ton of fossils as well that were in great shape. The winery itself has a ton of events. Food. Chilled ready to drink wines. They hold concerts and holiday events I had no idea so much was going on in one spot. The wine tasting was great we had thorough explanations of everything and the wines were all really good. Had no idea the obsession fruit wines were part of the same winery. Really great place to hang out and relax.

I am a wedding planner and we had the privilege of planning a 100 person destination wedding for my clients at Ironstone Vineyards. The experience working with them and their staff was wonderful!
The beauty of this venue is overwhelming and the options for a wedding are endless! We had 3 separate locations on wedding day (Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception) and an outdoor rehearsal dinner the night prior for all wedding guests. The venue was understanding and went out of their way to assist and accomodate our needs.
If you're contemplating whether Ironstone is a great place for your wedding, consider it confirmed - this place is AMAZING and we can't wait to be back this year with our clients!!

It's a beautiful place! The museum is cool, but I didn't care for the red wines here. Although my friends enjoyed the white wines.

Did a tasting today and absolutely loved it. The server was very friendly and knowledgeable. Then did the hour and a half tour the guide was very good he had a vast knowledge of the place and it’s history. This place is so huge and seems like it is never ending would highly recommend this place.

Great location...some terrific wine. Jeff was alot of fun! Looks like an amazing music venue in the summer.
Tours of a cave discovered by a 19th-century gold prospector, with mineral shapes formed by frost.
The cavern experience was really good. the tour guide explained the history and the formations very nicely and patiently. It was my first cave experience and a very good one too. It was a 45 min tour with about 1600 steps up and down. Pretty narrow and steep at some places. Tall persons and ppl carrying babies/toddlers have to be very careful.
Sarfraz Masthan — Google review
The caverns were amazing! Very tight spaces in some areas, steep steps, and a lot of stairs back up but well worth it if those things don't bother you! The calcite formations we're beautiful and the guides are very informative. Stopped at the gift shop area and got some bags of dirt and minerals to sift through. You get quite a bit of crystals and neat rocks per bag! Very fun experience!

This place isn't open every day of the week, so plan accordingly.
My wife and kids had a great time on the tour, and our tour guide was pretty funny and very knowledgeable. As if the caverns weren't enough of a reason to visit, there was a lot of family-friendly humor. Pictures don't do it justice. I highly recommend paying this place a visit.

This was mine and my husband's first time going in a cave. We arrived for the first tour of the day, which was on Thursday, December 2, 2021. We had a wonderful time and our guide was amazing and she was very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this cave tour. 😉👍

My first place at the Mercer Caverns, amazing place to go. it's not as long of a slope. You only go down like 160 feet, but its a really nice beginning place to go and see how much you can handle being on a Cavern. Beautiful place to see the beautiful formation that have occurred during this period of time.
Victor Pedraza — Google review
This was great. My tour guide, Lisa, was knowledgeable and cheerful, and the cave formations are varied and interesting. I did not need the jacket I brought. The stairs are steep and require holding firmly onto the rails, but there are lots of landings and stops and it's not a very hard ascent back up.
Anne Leonard — Google review
Very knowledgeable staff. They definitely know their history and facts of the cave. They take their time to make sure you get the information about the caves and never make.you feel rushed. Definitely was a great experience!
I have taken this tour 4 times now as I love bringing different friends and/or family to experience this natural wonder. I have had a different tour guide each time and I am amazed at how each tour guide not inky stays true to the origins of the cave but also share personal experiences along the way. It makes me see things a little differently each time I go...love that!!

Took my son while visiting gold miner sites. Tours leave on the hour. Leave all your stuff in the car. Marshall lead the tour. Interesting and not very strenuous. Steps can get steep. Good thing to be short!

This is a really fun experience. The tour takes 45-minutes and descends 15 stories underground. Seeing the limestone formations are worth the trip. Interesting geology lesson. You will be glad you stopped by to see it.

Awesome cave tour. The place is open Thursday to Monday and open at 9. The first tour is at 9:30 and fills up fast. Our group was only 8. Our tour guide was great! 55 minute walking tour. Easy to do, a little steep at times but it's slow moving so no problem. Fun time. We loved it.

Great staff, very friendly and helpful. We didn't buy the tickets in advance so we waited 45 minutes but they have a really awesome gift shop!!! Highly recommended!!!!

Had a great time here learning about its history. We enjoyed our tour guide and the 55 degree weather. My kids also loved mining for rocks afterwards.

An awesome cave tour. Tight spaces in some areas, steep steps, and a lot of stairs back up. The calcite formations we're beautiful. Nice little gift shop, had a lot of cool things there. The tour guide explained the history and the formations. It was a 45 min tour with about 1600 steps up and down.

Absolutely fascinating and beautiful experience! Entering the cavern felt like visiting another planet with crystalline walls and surreal shapes. It is amazing to think this wonder of nature exists underground and not everyone will get the opportunity to see something like it. Our guide Wren was knowledgeable and hilarious, sharing the natural and human history of the cavern along with dad jokes. The stairs are manageable as you get to go a about a "story" at a time with flat breaks in between to admire, take photos, learn about the history, and such. Safe travels!
Alta Moraine — Google review
The cave itself is really interesting. Good pacing in the tour even though it's quite a ways down a 160 feet, the the gift shop is friendly and easy to navigate. The outside area has lots of shaded areas when you're waiting for the tour to start or just finishing the tour Also some nice benches in the shade for eating picnic
Mark Davila — Google review
This was not our first visit to Mercer. My wife had last come in the late 1980's, and I in the early2000's. When my wife last visited the cave was trashily lit with colored lights. The colored lights have been removed so the cave appears much more natural. Our tour guide was great. The only pictures I took with my phone were of some great cave bacon. The gift shop was nice. The bathrooms were neat and clean. We visited the day before the new year so it was very busy, but the cave crew was prepared.

This is a must see if you are visiting Murphy’s! The caverns are so fun and it’s a great place to visit when it’s really hot out! The tour guides are very knowledgeable and more than willing to tell you fun facts along the way. There’s a lot of stairs so, you may wanna consider that if you are with small children or people who have difficulty walking. The lighting inside the cave was done very well. It showcases a lot of the stalactites in different minerals. I highly suggest stopping by.

We had a great time! All formations are beautiful, stairs are sturdy, and our guide had a great sense of humor

My 10 year old son and I went and had a great. It was a hot day but so cool in the Cavern. I feel like you need to stretch before going into the cave. We went down 16 stories and up 16 stories. My 38 year old thighs were burning! Lots of history and cool to see. I think its cool for a bit older kids that can manage the trek. Must see.
Beautiful. Staff really helpful. Easy. They help with parking, showing you, instructions, bringing you back etc. Highly recommend this trip, however I just have to say that you'll need 3-4 adults rowing otherwise it'll take you 6.5 hrs what it took me and my wife to complete the trip. The more capable adults that help you row, the faster you finish. Most people that started with 3+ more adults finished in 4-5 hrs. The only thing I could say is that prepare to be here all day long and lastly If your water for a swim in the water know that the water is cold 55-60 F.

We had a great time rafting down the Stanislaus. We went with another family and are planning to do again. After the experience their shuttle took us back to the cars and we headed over to the Knights Ferry Creamy. We highly recommend Sunshine Rafting.

I came here with my girlfriends family they were welcoming the boats were well taken care of they explain what you should do and what you should not do when you’re rafting. They gave your life jackets and paddles it was easy to get in the boat. It’s like a five hour down the river ride there are some spots where you can stop and chill and get off the boat. The river was clean there was no trash. Once we got to the end they helped us pull the boat out of the river and there was an area where we would have to leave our vez our paddles and they had a bus there for us so it could take us back to our vehicle. We will definitely be going there again. I would recommend this to families with young kids because it’s not that crazy of a river i’m gonna say 80% of the time it’s super chill in that 20% you might go just a bit faster than chill even then it’s not that fast. Bring your kids it’s fun!!

This year was our second time rafting with families and friends. Friendly staff and well organized especially for us with a group of 48. Looking for fun and great summer escapade? Sunshine Rafting at Knights Ferry is a place to be. Safety is their primary concern. They have lifeguards stationed along the route to remind you of what's ahead!
Nannette Suico — Google review
Our 55+ community booked three rafts on a Saturday, and we all had a great time! I think we were the oldest group on the river that day, but you wouldn't know it from the way we played!.
I would only advise to get there early, as the parking lot fills up fast. The put-in process was organized, there was a short safety and navigation talk (stay to the right on the rapids, follow the left forks in the river) given by staff. There were staff posted on the river also. Taking out was handled by the staff also, we just had to put our life jackets in a bag.
I highly recommend Sunshine Rafting.

My family have been rafting on the Stanislaus River for years now. We try to make it a yearly trip and it never disappoints! Every one has a great time and we’re talking about it for months. I haven't actually used these guys but I can say that they're 100 percent professional and we're lucky to have them on the river with us. I'm a local and go my own route but they position safety teams along the route and when my daughter was ahead of me and out of sight when she wiped out, one of their crew was there to toss her a line and help her with getting back to us and did an amazing job keeping her safe and calm, and for that I'm eternally grateful.

RJA staff was well organized and prepared for our amazing summer fun. We had 21 persons for 3 boats. One of our boats flipped and turned on this trip. All seven threw into the water. The staff Joey was right there waiting on his kayak. He picked up my 8-year old son and a couple who pulled aside. Four held onto the boat, could not stop it, and floated down river for a few block distance. A few people who saw us and out upside down boat helped us and pulled us ashore. I called RJA and connected with John and explained our situation. Five minutes later he called and said Joey got my son and my friends and would send them and 4 paddles with staff to us. This year the river water was high and the water moved fast under. our third year doing this. RJA staff was right there to assist as we needed! Outstanding organization and preparation! Bravo!! Thanks. What a summer fun! Definitely return next summer!

This is the best rafting company. The equipment is all in great condition and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. If you are at all nervous about rafting or just want to have a worry free trip, I highly recommend their guides. They are experienced and know the river well. This place does NOT give good customer service. I use their services three times, and I thought maybe it was just that person or maybe it is a bad day for them or whatever... but every time I went the service was bad and it only got worst. the driver is a jerk he speeds and has no consideration or courtesy when speaking to people, he even threaten to leave the group at the river because someone made him upset, he took a very long time to come back. but I wasn't just the bus driver it was also the women at the booth and the guys picking up the rafts at the end. will NEVER go back. Good Luck to the ones that do.

River Journey is absolutely the BEST choice for summer fun on the Stanislaus River! My family and I have rented rafts and kayaks from RJ before and have always had an amazing experience, from the very professional and warm customer service, to the high quality rafts and equipment. I really love that they have a photographer along the Russian Rapids to capture your loved ones crazy faces as you barrel down the rapids!! Nothing but good memories are made on their river rafting adventures.

Absolutely atrocious. It took us 5 hours in the flat current. No movement. I swear this was the worst money every spent. I would never do it again. I only did half the trip and it was the most MISERABLE experience. DON’T COME TO THIS PLACE. DON’T BELIEVE THIS FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.

We LOVE rafting with River Journey! They provide all the equipment we need including a life jacket, oar, nice raft, and even a dry box, not to mention a shuttle to bring us back to our car. They put the boat in the water and take the boat out of the water when we got to the destination. They even offered to throw our garbage away when we were getting out of the raft. Oh and, they took our picture so going to through the rapids!
Black Chasm is a privately run location; however, it has some of the most beautiful natural formations you’ll normally find in national park.
Tours are offered by experienced guides and conducted rain or shine. The caverns are extremely breathtaking and open.
Please note that some of the paths and stairs are very steep and tight.

I really liked the trip to the cave, we found it on the recommendation through Yelp. Entrance for an adult costs $19, for a child of 9 years old $11, every hour a new group of people starts on an excursion. the cave itself is quite small, literally two spans down. But the views are amazing, especially the turquoise water at the very bottom of the underground lake! There is a souvenir shop. Even below, when you leave, there is an amazing place with huge stones, just a small park, which was formed from the discharge of water. I recommend visiting!

What a cool tour! The tour was 50 minutes for $20.00 per person. Bring your hiking boots the stairs are steep but doable.. They have a cute gift shop as well. There are picnic tables so bring lunch 🤠

Holy heck, this place was amazing! Absolutely one of the best places where you can go 80 feet underground into vast underground caverns full of stalactites, stalagmites and helictites (which occur in only 5% of caves), but you don't need any experience in spelunking to do so. Our fantastic Cave Naturalist, Don, had a wealth of knowledge, which he shared with us in a really fun and entertaining way.

They have tours year round. A very nice gift shop. I enjoyed the 45 min tour immensely. Before leaving, park on the side and walk down a secret path to a maze of rocks. It's amazing and there are small caves and pathways. You won't regret it.

Thank you for your humor, and explanation, of all rock formations as different creatures and everyday objects! We hope on your next tour guide you will add a Pinocchio woman to your tour;)

Very unique and unforgettable experience. I promise you won't regret it. Lots of natural formations in the cave itself to see (and smell). One of only 3 in the US to have stick calcite.
Pro tips:
- bring a jacket
Temperatures in the cave drop so if you're easily cold, take heed. They also offer a military discount.

We came for a 6th grade field trip and all the kids (and parents) thoroughly enjoyed the vertical cave.
One parent was eagerly chanting "you can do this! Just keep going! You got this!" ... Which turned out to be them trying to overcome their own apprehension.
It's very (very) vertical (but the walkways are clearly reinforced iron.. so definitely seems safe)

This cavern is a place to visit if you are around. It is not huge but looks amazing. Tours with small groups every hour. Decent parking, clean toilet. Senior ticket is $16. Full ticket price is slightly higher. The cavern is accessible with kids. Note: all seasons air temperature inside cavern is 57-58F. Highly recommend.

We were given a tour by Elle, she was so funny and so knowledgeable! The cave was really breathtaking. So many ancient formations! I definitely wish we got to go down to see the lakes as well, but the glimpse we got into the crystal clear waters was pretty great as well!

We went here as a field trip with my daughter's school. The staff were all very knowledgeable and friendly (especially considering the gaggle of kids we had in tow). My daughter is a big rock collector and loved the sluicing for rocks. The tour of the caverns was amazing. It is a fairly steep descent, which had my daughter a little concerned (she is not a fan of heights), but the stairs and decks that have been built are all very sturdy and safe. Our tour guide was awesome, pointing out cool formations and explaining the history of the caverns, and the differences in how each formation came to be. Even though we visited on a 90+ degree day, the caverns are rather chilly, so you may consider brining along a sweatshirt.

We came here on July 4th weekend (7/1) looking to do something outdoors. We’ve been here once before, about 8 years ago or so. The place looks mostly the same. Getting here is a bit tricky, just make sure you’re using GPS. The tour itself was about 50 minutes or so. It starts in the back on the balcony where we get the intro on the do’s and don’ts. The entrance into the cavern is fairly narrow. The climb down on stairs is fairly sleep and can be challenging for people with limited mobility. The path takes you about 100 feet underground. There’s a bridge area that overlooks the lake straight down about 80 feet or so where you can see the blue color of the reservoir. Pretty cool. For folks with fear of heights, it may be a little unnerving. The chamber in the back is really neat. You’ll get to see all the stalagmites and stalactites, all of which are formed over thousands of years. Do not touch or break anything or there’ll be a $10K fine including possible jail time we’re all warned. The temperature inside the mine is a cool 57 degrees or so. Our tour guide (Ben) was great. He’s a local guide in his 20’s or so, was able to tell us all the history of the mine. I’d give him a 5/5. Our overall experience was great. The price to do the tour is reasonable. I’d give it a 4/5. Overall experience is a 5/5. If you’re looking for something different to do, consider making a trip here. You won’t be disappointed.

Great place to visit. Had a great time and guided tour. Good times with family. Tour a little short but it was fun to see everything inside. Kids love it. You also can shop in the store and there were many things that you can purchase.

Don was our tour guide, and we had such an awesome experience! We went later in the afternoon and were the only ones on the tour, which is apparently quite rare (they said the morning was filled with school children). He had so many facts and funny stories that made the tour that much better! It's a really beautiful little cave. I'm disabled and didn't have too hard a time going through it, although the steps can be very narrow and steep in some spots.

The cave is gorgeous, especially the lake at the bottom. The tour itself was awesome. Addie gave a vibrant and engaging presentation, and is super kind and funny! Our group of 7 came early morning for one of the first tours and there was no issues with parking or navigation, everything clearly marked. Be mindful you cannot bring any food, water, or bags into the cave to protect it's ecosystems. So leave those items in the car. $20 per person for adults over 13 yrs. Tour was 50 min long with plenty of time for pictures and questions. If you have claustrophobia or acrophobia you might want to be cautious. Thank you, Addie!

We had a wonderful time out here. We went with kids aged 2 & 7. Wear good shoes. Our guide name was I think Chris, he took us through the cave and explained everything well. He answered our questions and the cave is beautiful. A must visit. Chris also got the lights turned off in the end of our session with our permission so that we could observe the section of the cave in dark and admire its beauty. He showed us with his UV light certain things that were not visible otherwise. Would love to go back again when our kids grow up so that they get the experience.

Great experience! We arrived on Memorial Day weekend, all the morning’s tours were booked. We waited two hours for our turn. It’s a small cave under 100 feet from the ground. Narrow stairs to the underground cave reminds me the Greek myth Orpheus who travel to the underworld to bring back his wife. We traveled from Tahoe to the Black chasm and then back to the Bay Area. Long drive, but I think it worthy the unique experience. Please don’t bring little kids who need adults holding. Very narrow stairs down. Our tour guide Ben is great.

I highly recommend coming here parking is at lower level and upper level by the giftshop, Bobbi was our tour guide. She did an amazing job at showing us everything including all the little details such as the cute dachshund trying to eat the bacon on the wall! Thank you for making a memorable experience for us and everyone to come! The giftshop has very beautiful stones and lots of things to choose from, unfortunately I forgot to grab myself a geode before heading out but that means I just gotta go back and do it again! They have panning outside and you can buy bags to pan! Great place for everyone! Oh and don't forget DO NOT WEAR SANDALS PLEASE you may lose them and it is very very difficult to get back. They will only do maintenance if absolutely needed due to the fragile stalagmites and stalactites. You don't want to miss this gem don't forget to check out the dragons lair that was my favorite. Also be mindful for the tall people watch your head!

This theaters is always my go to. Not only is it always clean. They have the best movie snacks and drinks for their prices and never once had I got a chair where the buttons didn't work. I love coming here and I highly recommend it! It's a bit of a drive but so worth it!

Great theater, amazing seats. Best and most comfortable seats I've ever experienced in a theater. But the prices for snacks are insane. $30 for LG popcorn and 2 drinks. Definitely not family friendly unless you're ready to spend over $100 easily after tickets. The selection isn't even great. Very basic

The staff were all very kind, friendly, and helpful. Minus one star for the arcade. We had to get out money back from management a couple times. Their pretzels have improved significantly. They're delicious

My husband and I go here quite often, tonight we seen Transformers : Rise of the Beast. Got a combo #4 which is nachos and a large drink, pretzel bites, and a bag of peanut butter M&M $28...I think the price is fair for a theater. Seats are very comfortable. It's always clean.
Service is always exceptional. One time we went to see a movie and couldn't because of an emergency at the theater so they passed out movie vouchers for everyone that was there but not able to see their movie.

Beyond impressed with this theatre! Their service and professionalism is beyond the 5/5 stars. Our film was glitching and cutting out. After 10 minutes of trying to watch with the issues, my partner went to tell a worker about it. He stated they were very promising and that they'd send a tech immediately to resolve it. Within less than 15 minutes it was fixed. The recliner seats were both clean and comfortable. One of the best theatres I've ever been to. Highly recommend!

( Not a bad show, took my 18yr old Grandson & his friend.
Theater seating area was super clean, RECLINER seats were comfy & AWESOME❣️ 😁I want one all to myself at home❣️
Big recliners w cup holder & sm. swivel tray!
Sorry, I didn't use bathrooms or buy snacks.
Last month, my son-in-law & grandson brought me popcorn after the show...It tasted like generic popcorn & the butter wasn't the same😔. It has been a few yrs since I went to Galaxy, but their popcorn used to be really fluffy & real butter taste, now it's not fluffy more kernel & the butter tastes flat, (Imitation? & they are selling 5gal bags for $30+/-😳)

We found this theater was nice and clean. Popcorn was fresh, and cokes were good. Seating was above average in the world of recliners. Red leather with cup holders and a tray that rotates over your lap. The bathroom was clean in both the men's and women's.
The only things that were off was the tight parking lot and 28 bucks for 2 large drinks and a popcorn. Albeit they were very big.

Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort is a laid-back lodging option that offers casual rooms and suites, along with an outdoor pool, two hot tubs, and 24-hour gaming. Guests have enjoyed the beautifully decorated resort during the holidays, likening it to a Vegas experience. The staff is friendly and accommodating, while the rooms are clean and spacious. The casino provides both smoking and non-smoking areas, as well as complimentary soda and coffee for guests.

Ok. I hate to say this but... I have a love/hate relationship with this place. I love the fact that I have a place to go anytime I want to go somewhere. There are great things happening here. From poker tournaments to concerts to small gatherings of people for an evening of friends music and food to wandering amongst the multitude of machinery that casinos are known for. The place is well lit which is unusual in a casino yet it is very welcoming. The servers are very nice and will bring you a choice of beverages freshly prepared and free. No alcohol is served on the gaming floor which is nice, I think. There is a lounge upstairs called the Lone Wolf which is a nice addition to the place. I like the clean well lit inviting feeling I get walking into the place. I feel welcome, where I have been to a few casinos where it feels like that are watching you to make sure you ain't a dirty rat or whatever the Goodfellas would call someone they thought was there to clean them out.
The hate part comes from.. yup , you guessed it... Losing. I hate losing my money. But to be fair, it isn't from the machines not paying off, because they do. I just can't walk away from having so much fun. But if you look at it from an entertainment approach. A night out at a movie $40 with dinner $100 add gas in and we are now over $200. I can take my friend and go to the Jackson Rancheria with the same $200 and have a great meal at Margaret's Cafe or one of the many other eateries offered there and still have over $160 to go try my luck on the floor.
So take your time while you are there and have a blast. Who knows, you may be the next big winner. And don't call the gambler's hotline and tell them your problem is you aren't winning. They'll hang up on you

We stopped in here to eat on our way home from an out of state trip. The restaurant was comfortable and clean, located inside the casino. Our waitress was nice and was concerned when my husband was not feeling well. Our food came without a long wait and was quite enjoyable. We did not gamble or get a room.

Just went for the day with my mom. The gaming was good to me not so much my mom this time but the machines were ok as far as the payouts go. I did see people who were definitely winning. We had a bite to eat in the Cafe and the food was tasty I wouldn't mind trying some of the other restaurants in the casino and looking forward to going back soon only about an hour drive from Sacramento

The rooms are great but I feel they would be better with fridges and microwaves. Service is great and very friendly. The most I've ever won was $1,000. A friend just last week won $7,000. No joke. The location is easy to get to with no traffic. Love their swimming pool and hot tubs too!

These people who post negative reviews because they 'lost' are pathetic. It's gambling so get over yourself. I been to most Indian casinos in Bay Area and others locally and love this place. My wife and I went here over the Holidays and it was decorated beautifully. We felt like we were in Vegas. We stayed only about 3hrs and we both won playing slots. I normally play single deck by but decided to play slots next to wife and we did well. We didn't win huge jackpots but left with more than we came with.
Heading there in Feb and looking forward to it.
The premises are great and you won't be disappointed.

Booked a room online two days in advance. Fairly simple and straight forward. $199 for a deluxe king room. About mid level for the hotel from what I understand. Staff was very friendly and easy to talk to. If you want bell service, that is not available anymore but you can get a cart that can haul your stuff. Rooms were clean and big. My only "gripe" really, and I know this is kinda silly, but the TV in the deluxe king was rather small for how far away the bed is. The picture next to the TV was way bigger than the TV and actually what size the TV should've been. I know this is a little picky but for $200 a night, seemed a little expensive for what you got. Especially if you just cane to stay at the casino. Overall very nice but not sure the $200 a night was worth it again.

I'm actually sitting here right now listening to a bunch of noise from the neighbors screaming yelling i called downstairs and they said they can't do anything until after 10:00pm quiet time even though these drunks have been yelling for a couple hours. They have more rights than other guests. I asked for a new room and my money back. I will post once tomorrow comes. I will never stay here again NEVER!!!!!!

To be honest, the slot machines at Jackson Casino are quite exciting and offer ample opportunities to win. We've had positive experiences with them. However, the hotel rooms could use some modernization to create a more sophisticated atmosphere. Upon entering, it feels like a step back in time to the '90s. They should consider remodeling or upgrading the furniture and fixture to add a touch of style. Besides that, it's generally a good experience.

The RV park is super clean and safe. Security goes around constantly and so do the shuttles to take you to the casino; whether it's to gamble or have a nice meal. The place is well ran that's for sure!

Brought my father here so we could get out of the house and have fun. Neither of us won more than 20 dollars on any bonus. We spent 500 each. Mid to mid high betting on slots. Drove too far for those types of bonuses.

One of the sorriest casinos I have ever been to. If I could give it zero stars I would. How can you be at a casino and no one is winning anything? How can you spend $80 on a machine to hit the bonus only to win 18 cents? I went there 3 years ago with the same results. This place is now on my never to visit casino again. The worst experience EVER at a casino. 😡

Drove an hour for entertainment, play slots. They have some really nice machines and a wide variety. Did not walk away with winnings but had a good time, and was worth the $250 I gave to the hungry machines.

It's been twenty years that this place has been on my bucket list. Upon arriving for dinner we were able to dine in peace. I did get my membership card and enjoyed my free spins. You must spend twenty dollars first and then go to the kiosk to get a chance to get free spins. In all it's very clean, lingering cigarette smoke and a very nice ambience. I will be back. We loved the place as a family.

Never have I been so disrespected in a casino. Everything from the dream catchers club to the ladies giving out drinks. I’m constantly ignored by everyone when seeking out service or have any questions. The players club constantly changes there answers when asked questions about the promos and comps. I have upgraded my card a tier and my promos were lowered. They speak to me as if I were a lower life form. There’s lots of drug addicts walking around always asking for money. I’ve had money stolen from my slot machine only to be told there’s nothing that can be done. Horrible experience and horrible customer service.

The fact that I never win anything there is not the reason for my negative review although it doesn't help. I've had a bad experience with their customer service before after losing a decent amount of money there. Instead of the casino offering anything at all they basically told me I had to leave since I had lost all my money and had no more to gamble. And even after a lengthy email to management about the awful customer service and how terribly rude they were to a customer who spent alot of money there I never even received a response whatsoever. They have no concern at all about their customers satisfaction. I only go to Black Oak and Chicken Ranch now.

Stayed here a few times while looking to buy a house in the area. You can't get special discounts but all rooms are the same price no matter when, as far as I remember being told. We stayed in King size bed rooms which were very nice and spacious. In very good shape. Casino is nice. No alcohol in the casino or smaller restaurants, only upstairs restaurant. Smoking and nonsmoking areas in casino. Free soda and coffee in casino, I think they told me. Nice restaurant in the casino (kind of like a Marie Callendar's), snack bar, small food court-like area. Players club where you can earn points and enter contests based on how much you spend.

Rarely do I like the majority of wines on a tasting menu, but these were fantastic! We took my mom there on her birthday. Great info from the winemaker and the small bite pairings were perfect. Excellent wines with an emphasize on the European style of tasting. They mainly have reds and they are delicious. The tasting room is small so I would not suggest it for large groups. I purchased some swimwear and shorts. I enjoyed the store very much! They had a good selection of camping gear and other outdoor gear. They have clean restrooms upstairs and downstairs. It is a great place for a homeschool field trip for the family! So many lessons can be made from all the cool animal displays, and they also have a beautiful waterfall and fish tank on the inside as well.
Another cool feature is the mock shooting range they have accessible on the 2nd floor. Would definitely recommend as a nice day trip. 👌

If you haven’t been to a Bass Pro Shop, then trust me, you are missing out! I don’t consider myself a sportsman in the least, but entering this massive two story building made me almost want to be so I could go back and visit it! To say I was impressed is an understatement, and I’m pretty certain no matter what your need, you’d find it here somewhere. It is chock full of retail items, outdoor items, boats, atv’s, clothing, gifts, food, and on and on! I even think you could bring your kids here and just the atmosphere would excite them enough to make them think you’d paid for the experience. Massive taxidermy pieces are placed inside this store in record number, and it is quite a treat to see all of the wildlife up close and personal throughout the store. If there is anything you need, or even anything you didn’t know you need, you will definitely find that and more at Bass Pro Shops located in Manteca, California, right off the freeway in an easy off, easy on location.

I’ve gone to this theatre since it opened and have had nothing but good experiences. Today was my first time going since Covid, and I was shocked. The employees were not friendly and seemed like they did not want to be there at all. The place was disgusting I wouldn’t be surprised if there were rats running around. They were out of 90% of the candy and soda options. There was trash and popcorn everywhere on the floor, trashes were overflowing, and the floor was sticky from spilt soda all throughout the theatre and front area. Very disappointed. I understand most places are understaffed but there is no excuse for this with the amount of employees working.

This theater is okay but there are better options in the surrounding towns. The chairs are extremely uncomfortable and close together but the arm rest folds up at least. They do have self serve drinks and you can add your own butter to your popcorn which is nice. The movie theater sound system is old and can use an upgrade.

Good online system. Fast to scan tickets from phone code texted to me. No more them 5 min wait. Clean theater and seats. The floor is dirty and trash is full yes, but that are guests mistakes. Clean up agter yourself, people. The employees work hard, but they can't be everywhere at once. The amc theater was great overall and watching encanto in theaters was amazing experience.

Good location to pop in for a movie. Easy to purchase tickets online and stop in to have them scanned on my phone. Many theaters at this location and easy parking make it a good place to see a flick.

So I haven't been going to Manteca AMC theatres for a long time. So oldest and I watch a movie from last night. I'm was going to buy some nachos and there's a huge line for non-members. The staff was probably 4 at least and they're taking way too long. I'm was waiting in line more than 30 minutes because the staff was focus on the membership customer. They should step it up so they can make their customers happy.

Overall it's a nice theater with pretty good- friendly service. The workers there seem to be very friendly & have no problem assisting if you ask them for help. The only thing I would say as a downfall is that sometimes the window workers are a little slow and taking your money and processing your transaction for the tickets. Aside from that minor complaint.. my experience at 'AMC Manteca 16' has been pleasant w no issues. I would definitely recommend it to family, friends or even strangers! 😊👍📽️🎬🎫. I hope you enjoy the next movie you see there. Good luck ~

This is my first time here. We got tickets for Kung Fu Panda 4. It was very busy. The line was long for the food concessions. There are way more food selections than the regal theaters. The drinks are also self-serve. I am enjoying my time here.

Love our local movie theater! The staff are friendly, the popcorn is good, the restrooms and theaters are clean and I appreciate their movie selection. They’ll have indie selections at times when others in the area don’t.

Went to go see the Barbie movie with the husband and daughters on 6/23. We all used the bathrooms before, during, and after the movie (3 times total) and they were never cleaned and very disgusting! I have contacted corporate with no response 😕.

If you are watching a premier opener.
My advice is to get there 30 mins earlier.
The lines are super long. AMC theater should get more cashiers during premier opener movies.
The food was good, but way overpriced.
Overall atmosphere was good.

It's a beautiful theater touching if it will let me a video of The Crazies storm showers.
I would give five stars if they had the Ghostbusters collectible pins promised w/purchase for our showing. Pretty disappointed about that. ❤ GB Frozen Empire

They need to update to leather reclining chairs. They would be more easily to keep clean then cloth or whatever it is they have. It's cool that they have even more of a variety of things now as well, but the prices are crazy, but it's to be expected right🤷♀️ . On the flip side, it sucks that there are so many people who don't know how to respect the theatre because it doesn't belong to them. They want to be dirty and careless and destroy it. How hard is it for you to throw away your own garbage and be respectful. So I would give it 5 stars if it were nicer and more comfortable.

first time here and definitely my last, I came with my dad and 2 younger sisters on march 12, around 7:50 . When we walked in to buy tickets the worker was so impatient, and kind of rude. My dad ask for 2 kids tickets and 2 adults. And she immediately responded well 12 or over for adult. And said “so 4 adults”? Mean while I have a 11 year old sister she is just tall. And a 16 year old sister, we didn’t know what was considered a kid, or adult ( the age for it ). But she was not very friendly what so ever. She was a manager which is surprising to me, because that was not a manager too me. When we got into the theater the seats were disgusting and stained and basically carpet velvet like seats which is fine if they were clean, smelled horrible. I never do reviews mean at least. But the worker Leah, and these chairs are not it.
avery folsom — Google review
The seats are very outdated and are stained and smell old and like pee they aren’t reclinable and aren’t very comfortable. They need to be changed to leather so they are able to be cleaned better if they even are cleaned now. They need to be replaced and able to recline so people don’t feel like they have to put their feet on other peoples chairs. Also at the front the manager Leah wasn’t very nice and was being disrespectful for no reason but anyways the main part of this was how dirty the seats are they are disgusting and super outdated please change them or this might be my last time coming here they really need to be cleaned or replaced they smell like pee and smoke which people don’t want to sit on and you know these seats haven’t been cleaned in a long time because they smell like that and look disgusting.

Red Hawk Casino, a 24-hour gambling establishment, offers an extensive array of slot and table games. In addition to the gaming options, Red Hawk also provides childcare services, retail shops and five restaurants. While the pandemic has forced the permanent closure of their buffet, guests can still enjoy dining at their new food court. The casino's Asian restaurant Pearl serves delectable dishes such as Sweet and Sour Pork, Pork Fried Rice and Kung Pao Chicken in large portions.
Very large casino with multiple floors and accommodations. Explored the buffet and arcade areas. There is a Kids Quest kids care drop off/ Arcade combo and a bowling/car racing area on another floor as well.
Advice: If you eat at buffet I recommend going 30ish minutes before dinner so you can try the lunch and dinner options!
Buffet is $35 for adults and $15 for kids. Children 5 and under are free!

UPDATE- Never go casino when u don’t feel lucky! But this here is still MY FAVORITE CASINO! I came here 29 October for $25000 and free play drawings. I didn’t win However I could have. I had a Fabulous time winning and losing to slot machines I also hit progressive minor twice I think - I was happy and enjoyed my entire time. I did the buffet it was so k even with lobster. The restaurant staff are Way Awesome! They are always very positive kind and polite great smiles Thank u for a wonderful staff. I did need assistance on the floor and the machine was fixed in no time.
3 Stars for allowing parents to walk their children on the main casino floor filled with dangerous cigarette smoke as they lead them to the Apex Center.
I hope my review is good enough. I think I’ll be going back this weekend. God bless!

We took our kids to Apex for carts and games. The facility is amazing, but they don’t keep it clean. Many of the tables had old food and dishes that were never cleared during our 2 hour visit. Lastly, bartender had only the most basic cocktail knowledge.

I visited Red Hawk on an assignment to photograph the giant rock water features at Red Hawk's main entrance. I was treated to dinner at Pearl, the Casino's amazing Asian restaurant. I ordered Sweet and Sour Pork, Pork Fried Rice and Kung Pao Chicken. Servings were large. The food was delicious.

Fun casino, and the bus routes to get here are a huge plus too. Not a fan of the higher limit table games and the rules however. Craps should not be $10, that's why the table is so empty. Craps are also dice to cards here which is expected for California. They also feature too many 6 to 5 blackjack tables. Food options are also very limited later at night and only the coffee shop is open late.
Buffet runs around $30-40 depending on day. Buffet used to be good but definitely went downhill a bit. Food is definitely off, like too salty. The pork belly was very tough and same with the oysters. The Asian food is decent. There is no more gelato or ice cream bar in place of a soft serve machine.

Red hawk is awesome they treat their guests very well. Stellar customer service, I felt like a millionaire the way I was treated by the staff and will continue to visit this casino. There are many opportunities to win big money but there are pitfalls as well. They have a free soda and coffee machine for all guests and players. The beds are super cozy and there is a free breakfast as well. It’s worth a stop if your passing through

We absolutely loved our stop here on our way to South Lake Tahoe! So many things for the kids to do: bowling, arcade, the amazing indoor go kart track that is so legit! We also grabbed lunch at the Cafe which was fine for a quick bite and not fast food on the road. If you have kids and are on your way to or from South Lake, consider popping in, they will have a blast (there is also babysitting service for kids up to 12 if you want to have a dinner alone!)

Loved the Koko Buffet (seafood on Fridays and Saturdays). Tons of selections. Friendly service. Only takeaway is that they usually don't take "walk-ins" but what was kind of dumb was we asked if we can make a reservation, and the hostess said yes. The next available is in 10 minutes. So realistically, it was a walk-in.
Poke Bar is amazing. Freshly made shrimp scampi is available upon request. They have a salami, cheese bar. Desserts bar. Mexican food. Steak and pizza. Definitely must try!!

It is nice here but pretty far for me. I do come once in a while. This casino does pay off. I had a great time. Customer service is great they are prompt and nice staff are also great. I enjoyed my time here. Went to the buffet, it was good food was good I would go back soon.
Maria Diaz — Google review
The casino is cool, except that you have to go to the bar to get drinks or demand service. The hotel is extravagant. The bar at the Apex is ok, but you have to demand service, especially if they are busy. Basically, their customer service sucks, and if they are really busy, it sucks even more. Now, look, I am not saying that the servers are bad, they do their best. I just wish their best was better. The servers are nice and do what they are trained to do. This is the management's fault. While I was waiting for service, at the Apex bar, I had two managers stare at me, and one finally asked me if I had been helped. Instead of helping me, she instructed a busy waitress to help me, and it took another staff member to ask her to get to us, and it took her another five minutes. They need to change out their managers and better train their staff. They need to be more customer friendly.

Casino is in Folsom county i visited here first time..
Casino has mostly slot machines, Roulette has 1 machine can play 6 players..
But it was good that someone can start bet from 25¢ ..
Machines are quite old compared to SKY RIVER CASINO (ELK GROVE) built new..
On tables it was minimum 10 or 15$ for all games..
Soft drinks were not served on table, it was self service
Kids section was on 6th floor , brainy kids can win tickets to get gifts..
My kids won 2000 tickets and got some gifts..
Overall it was okay experience

My family and I had reservations on 12/18/23 at 1:00pm. We were seated promptly and noticed how clean the restaurant was. The food was of good quality and served at a proper temperature, pretty much what you would expect at a Casino buffet. The gentleman who was tasked with keeping the tables free of used dishes was amazing, hardworking and polite. I took the opportunity to thank the on duty Manager who also amazing and welcoming. My overall dining experience was above average but mostly due to the hospitality and I will return.

Redhawk buffet is spectacular! I visited the Casino floor and lost a few bucks. It was my fault, I don’t believe in gambling in the first place. I didn’t spend the night in the rooms but I can tell you the hotel lobby was gorgeous. I’m only writing this review in regard to the buffet. I’ve been there twice and both times were pretty
good. Also, my 17-year-old visited the Apex. I believe he likes it 😄🙏

This Casino really has done great things over the years in regards to improvements! The tables and slots here are like any other casino, but the buffet and bars and other restaurants are excellent! The staff is friendly and willing to assist in anything you may need. The food is fantastic, and the price isn't that bad. All in all, this casino is a good place to go if you're looking for somewhere to go kill some time and spend some money.

The buffet declined in food selection and taste after covid. It is still better compared to other casino buffets. Price is $57 pr person. Players card can give a discount. Casino slots are tight and need better ventilation (smoke congestion), the drink fountain is great!

After some slot machines, I went to lunch in Koto buffet today 3/10 for seeing some good review for their sushi (big sushi fan myself). However I was so disappointed when seeing empty tray at the counter . Not to mentioned it is not appealing as I saw in the photos of the 5 star review 3 weeks ago. Hope management will retrain whoever in the sushi counter during lunch time today.

Pretty good casino, but honestly the buffet and the indoor cart race is why I come here. The buffet is amazing and if you go on Friday or Saturday they have crabs and lobster on the menu. It's moderately priced and you can get a tiny discount if you're a rewards member with them. The buffet offer a wide array of foods but I would honestly recommend the snow crabs. They even offered a seasoned snow crab legs which is the best in my opinion. Also the indoor racing is fun when you have competitive family or friends :) last but not least I like how they have open soda and coffee machines throughout the casino so you don't have to go to a bar or ask a receptionist to grab a soft drink. And I don't know if it's me but for some reason I never win anything at this casino as compared to others. Overall a fun place to go!

Since the opening of Red Hawk Casino, our family has often come to the buffet to eat. We came to the buffet again today at noon. The sushi produced today is very amazing. Not only has the variety increased, but the presentation is also very exquisite. The fancy sushi presentation is also impressive. Rosette plate decoration made of cucumber. It turned out that there was a new female chef, who was very professional. Looking forward to eating Japanese sushi at Red Hawk Buffet on the weekend.
Excellent wines and beautiful outdoor tasting areas. We arrived on an unexpectedly hot day (84) but stayed cool under their patio cover. Loved their bubbly and light wine flight. Open daily and very dog friendly! We will return;)

We had a wonderful visit and wine tasting at Klinker Brick Winery in early April of 2022! Their winery is in the agricultural area of Lodi: grapes, walnuts and more. Our hosts were gracious and helpful. The three of us chose to taste the three flights they offered that day. Mostly reds with a couple of sparkling, and roses. We found their wines to be enjoyably dryer than our usual selections. It provided us a palate pleasing contrast. We spent the night at the vineyard via harvest hosts. It was a beautiful sunset in the arms of the grape vines.

The tasting room is so pretty here, especially decorated for Christmas. I've tasted here before on a weekend and was blown away that there were four flights to choose from. This time there were two. The wine is reasonably priced and tastings are waived with a bottle purchase (2 bottles purchased to waive the reserve tasting). This time I headed in about an hour before closing and felt rushed by the staff despite there being several other people still tasting in the room. The patio area is beautiful and I may try again in summer.

The staff is super nice. The tasting room was great! I enjoyed the Zins but I’m not sure we would come back and visit. Although we spoke to people that really love all of the wines here, we felt it wasn’t our favorite. I think it’s a matter of taste, but worth a try as I know they work hard to produce!

Nice winery tasting venue, beautiful patio so you can taste outside or inside. You get to pick a flight ranging from $10, $15, or $20 for 6 tastes. Good idea is to share different flights. The wines range from light dry Albarino to full bodied reds. We like the Old Ghost Zinfandel, Farrah Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon the best. Prices for the wines are very reasonable.
The only drawback is very little attention from the staff if you like to ask questions about the grapes and the specific wines but there are answers on the website which we accessed during the tasting. The offer deli style bites also reasonably priced.

I have to thank the Stockton Arena for allowing the annual StocktonCon to take place in its venue. It is a great local convention and my family and friends always have a great time when we attend! The stadium is alright and decent. Nothing really special to be honest, but it’s a good place to watch Stockton Kings games. There aren’t really many venues inside the stadium plus the food here is much cheaper, which is good. The stadium is much smaller when I got through and doesn’t seem to be crowded here. Not much hype here, but it’s okay.

Great place for a concert, whether it's for one artist or several. Wide enough space for walking throughout the arena. Clean. Parking is clean and not hard on a car's tires or suspension.
Unfortunately, there is little to no security to ensure any valuables left inside a car is safe. So better to put items that can't be taken into the arena, in the trunk.
It's a little off the beaten path, not in the safest neighborhood, and a little hard to get out of once the event is over, but it's manageable.
Having multiple vendor booths for a artists merchandise, is easy and does not overlap with attendees standing in concession lines. A plus!
Concession only accepts credit cards, no cash.
The arena, itself is great for concerts, even the seats on the sides have a good viewing of the stage, and sitting in these seats won't even cause neck problems.
Security is pretty decent, nice, friendly. A few of the guards on the night I went, were a little rude, and invasive. Like they didn't know to keep their mouth shut or their voice down to a whisper, instead it was like they were at a boxing match cheering a boxer on, it was really disruptive.
And the people who worked the Concession Stand, they were really nice, friendly, patient and helpful.

No spoilers but there is a freaky trunk on the basement with a macabre story… Don't judge the museum by the outside, there is no parking lot, its surrounded by a park where many ppl go, but when I stepped in, it felt like a complete different World. A contrast of local history and old tractors with beautiful paintings and sculptures from late 1800. Downstairs the rooms you look in through a window are so incredibly well put together and your mind travels back in time for a bit. As well as amazing Native American art…Highly recommend a visit, park on the streets and walk through the park to the front door. Its great, Im telling you.

I joined a senior group as a caregiver on my little adventure. If you enjoy art and displays of local vintage artifacts this museum holds some information you might find interesting enough to check out. From agriculture, to Stocktons harbor along with a Native American exhibit. They even have a gift shop toward the end if your looking for a souvenir or memory to take home with you.
Elevators for the disabled and sturdy stairs for others willing to take that extra step. Restrooms inside as well as out in the park surrounding the area. Pop up shops sometimes selling snacks and refreshments. A small but fascinating place to unwind letting your mind explore the creativity and love of passionate people.

The art museum is just about the right size. The history museum is a little small. However, you can get into both for the same very low price, and they complement each other. I have been three times, and I have enjoyed the traveling exhibits each time.
Unfortunately we were not able to go due to higher than normal winds. I have to commend Sky Drifters though. They could have forced it, and it probably wouldn’t have been a great experience, but they did not. Will try again if I am back in the area.

What an amazing experience!!
I booked a flight for me and my beautiful wife who always loves doing things more on the “extreme” side and has never had a fear of heights. Since my wife has had this on her list of things she’s always wanted to do, I figured I would step out of my comfort zone and surprise her with a flight she probably thought she’d never be taking with me. I’ve got to say, for someone who has had an extreme fear of heights, I would do it all over - again and again!
The Sky Drifters crew went above and beyond to make our time with them was one of the most safe, memorable, exciting, and comfortable experiences.
The minute we arrived, we were cheerfully greeted by Erin (Tim - the Pilot’s wife), she took the time to explain the entire process with us and volunteered to act as our personal photographer the entire trip!
Tim is an awesome pilot, who’s very knowledgeable, professional yet funny, and will treat you like family from the minute you arrive. From beginning-to-end he made every effort to ensure that we would get the most out of our time with them.
I couldn’t have been happier with the entire experience! We will definitely be going back and flying with them in the future. Hats off to the ground crew, who were fast, professional, and efficient. Overall, you can’t go wrong with choosing Sky Drifters! Don’t let your fear of heights get in the way of you missing out on such an amazingly unique experience!

First time in a hot air balloon! My best friend and I had a great time and can't say enough on how professional Pilot Tim and Erin are. I highly recommend taking a ride with Pilot Tim, and Erin of Sky Drifters!

Definitely recommend!! The team was great! The pilot was very knowledgeable and experienced and clearly enjoys flying the balloon. His wife was a great photographer and took such fun pictures of us all! I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and it was a hit!
At the end they served champagne. We don’t drink alcohol, but they even had sparkling cider for us. Great place to go for a fun and “different” sort of experience.

I didn't have an experience with this company because the trip was canceled before I could experience anything. I will say though, it's not something you can plan for, at least not with this vendor because even if YOU think the weather is cooperative, the Ballon pilot can say otherwise and then your left high and dry! But you only pay if you fly so you won't lose money, just the experience. I planned it as a birthday surprise, so that was ruined. I called the vendor and the person text me back said "I can't control the wind...!" SO it didn't happen and apparently there were 6 other people that day that didn't get to go. Maybe I'll try again but for sure it won't be a surprise situation cause it's heart breaking when a plan like this doesn't come together.

We had a wonderful time on a SkyDrifters hot air balloon ride on a beautiful Wednesday morning. My friend and I were joined by a man from Sonora and a couple from Stockton. Pilot, Tim, and his wife, Erin, were also in the basket. Erin took pictures and downloaded them to us and we took lots of photos ourselves as well. We landed in a “new” construction neighborhood just north of Grant Line Road, slightly within Mather Air Field air space (???). Pilot, Tim, had to communicate with them on the radio. It was clear that he is a safe and experienced pilot and I would recommend his company to others who are looking for this sort of experience.

Our group thoroughly enjoyed our flight with Tim and his crew! From the discussions on safety, to the in-flight views, to the gentle landing, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Sky Drifters Hot Air Ballooning!

What an AMAZING experience!!! I was so nervous about being in a hot air balloon and I can not say more how great it was! Tim and his wife were the perfect people to fly with. Both were so knowledgeable, Tim was answering questions we didn’t even think to ask or wonder about and his wife was FABULOUS and took every kind of picture possible. She was so sweet!
I never once felt unsafe. From beginning to end, the team was a total well oiled machine. It was very clear that Tim knew what he was doing and was so passionate about it!
We ended the flight in a gorgeous field, with a little history, some amazing stories and the Balloonists Prayer. We were so sad to have the experience end, Tim and his wife were incredible, personable and we felt like we’d known them for years. Thank you SO much Sky Drifters!! I’d spend every weekend this way if I could, GO GO GO!

We will never forget this experience, and cherish the wonderful care, time, and picture given us by everyone, especially the hostess, Erin! I recommend you ride with this company!!

Stunning, beautiful, and the pilot is fun to be around. I called them very last minute with a request for the next day and they made it happen. I proposed to my girlfriend. The pilot helped plan and facilitate making sure she had no idea. Romantic views, wonderful experience. Being a pilot of a fixed wing aircraft... I could tell that this pilot not only was extremely knowledgeable, but was passionate about what he does. Thank you for the amazing experience!
Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! This was a beautiful discovery 😍 of fine wines. Home grown here in Lodi. Friendly atmosphere, with charming gathering places, in various corners of their courtyard. There was even a Vineyard that you could walk through to educate oneself on. Well layed out, be sure to add it to your bucket list of things to do whenever you're in this neck of California. Follow me and catch up on all my sites and places to just sto into. Check out "Beautiful Places in Hawaii"...enjoy! Ciao for now.

A wonderful selection of local wines are available for tasting in a large space. Service from staff was excellent. There appears to be a hotel near the tasting area and a nice coffee bar next to it.
Douglass Brown — Google review
The staff there were friendly. After the wine tasting, we bought 2 bottles of wine, that were very well packed for us. When I just arrived home and opened the package, I found the expensive wine club exclusive Heavy Hitter Petite Sirah was not sealed. I talked to the manager the next day and he explained some wineries simply send in their wines to the visitor center with the bottles not sealed. This exposes a safety concern to us, because the content of the bottle could be easily changed. It was said there were some environmental concerns with the foil sealing. If so, there should be some sort of replacement like wax sealing. Wine sold with the bottles not even sealed in any way is not acceptable.

Thank you Brooke, we were so glad to have this fantastic experience tasting a little bit of Lodi during my work trip! This is such a brilliant concept to have in town. I appreciated it so much! Lodi does not disappoint with their wines and we will be back in the area for sure, cheers!

Visited for the pick up party which was well attended this year. Good food catered by Wine and Roses restaurant/hotel next door and a good selection of wine tastings from N2, Michael Klouda etc. We enjoy the wine club here because we get 4 reds from different member wineries each quarter. Recommend visiting and tasting.
Bruce Hall — Google review
The older woman with dark hair and glasses working at the wine tasting counter was very rude to us. We were trying to figure out our shuttle pick up location. When we returned to the visitor center from the hotel staff who sent us back to her for clarification she turned to customers she was waiting on and said “Oh, they’re back” in a very snotty way even though our communication towards her had been very friendly and upbeat. She told us she couldn’t help us and we should wait outside (in the cold) even though the visitor center was empty. Then, a man in a blue vest jacket came out from the back area and said our shuttle would pick us up in front of the center and we could wait inside where it was warm. The older lady changed her demeanor at that point and echoed what he said. So rude and poor representation of the Lodi wine community. This experience was a birthday celebration and our first time visiting Lodi to spend money. Poor behavior from one human being to another. Thanks for that. Here’s a tip: treat people with dignity and respect! Stop making baseless judgements on the way people look or dress because they don’t match your IDEAL client.
Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary is a charming animal sanctuary that offers an educational experience. The facility houses a diverse range of animals, including monkeys and tigers, providing them with shelter and care. Peacocks and turkeys roam freely, while deer and farm animals have ample space to move about in the open area. Visitors can observe many bird species as they explore the grounds. Macaques are among the most endearing creatures here, forming close bonds with one another.
In a world post Tiger King, the fact that this is an animal sanctuary and not just a zoo made me feel better about spending money here. It was a great collection of animals, I loved the bobcats, and the albino peacock, and the fact that they have bee hives. They also have a big play park for the kiddos. My only regret was not catching the adorable train they have, or checking out the Johnny Cash Trail that runs along behind the zoo. All in all it was a great way to spend an afternoon.

Only $7 p/p to get in. A good starter local zoo for young children. Zoo is behind the library. Upon exit, there is a playground for the children to play at. Along with a hike trail with a beautiful bridge.

Lovely place! you can really see how much all of these rescued animals are cared for! There are peacocks and turkeys that roam freely, and a very large open area for deer and farm animals. I went on a cold day so there wasn't a ton of activity, but still super fun to see so many birds!! I really loved the macaques, they were very clearly best friends and never left each others side! The cougars were running around their ramps, it was a bit intimidating to see such a huge animal running so fast above me. I cant wait to come back on a warmer day to see how all the animals behaviors change! It takes maybe an hour and a half to walk around the whole place.

My wife and I took our daughters and in-laws here after Thanksgiving as a way to get out of the house. This place was such a pleasant escape for the day! The staff was welcoming, getting here and parking was simple, and the price was more than worth it. All of the animals were out and about in their respective enclosures, and our daughters had a blast looking for them and learning their names. Tons of fun photo opportunities and fun facts. We will absolutely be coming back for the Christmas light events!
Update: we came back for the Holiday Lights event, and it was amazing! A bit crowded, but really well done and a lot of fun to enjoy with the family!

Docents/volunteers are so friendly and helpful with answers to questions.
My highlight was to see a peacock in full plume very close, one for my bucket list.
Great walking paths.

Very small zoo. It only costs $7 to get in. You can walk the whole thing and see all the animals in under an hour.
There’s wild peacocks everywhere which was really cool. The enclosures are grossly small for a lot of the animals though, that was sad to see.
Samantha Holdaway — Google review
This is a great little zoo. There were monkeys, bears, large safari cats, birds, and much, much more. Plus, outside the zoo is a small train that drives around parts of the zoo for a really small cost, I think $3.

Amazing. I have been going here for 30 years and it has expanded a bit. They even have tables for a picnic and an exit right out to the park. Highly recommend.
Joshua Vaughn — Google review
This place was super cute and definitely did not expect it to be as big as it was. Only downside is it can definitely get crowded, the walkways are very small and most people have strollers with their children so it’s hard to squeeze by each other. But way more animals than we had expected, quite the experience especially for little kids and nice to have nearby. There is also a little park outside with play structures and the train was a nice little addition as well. We definitely had some fun here.
Alise Lankin — Google review
We love this little zoo/ sanctuary. They have both bears and mountain lions, plus farm animals, eagles, wolf hybrids, wild cats, and more. They have a lot of educational materials, and teach about wildlife conservation, which is great. The enclosures allow for close-up viewing. We like to go in the fall/ winter/ early spring, when it's not so hot, and the days/ hours are limited- be sure to check if they are open before you go! Also, the train, gift shop, and cafe were all closed when we visited last Sunday, which was disappointing.

Came here for the first time today, my daughter loved it! She's 2.5 years, some reviews say it's very small but we found it to be perfect for her! She loved it, she enjoyed seeing all the animals, and walking around. The park outside is also great, she really enjoyed that after seeing all the animals; we highly recommend checking this place out if you have small children.

We love this little zoo! The tickets are a great price. All the animals are pretty cool to see.
And it's not crowded.

I have been coming here since I was a kid. I absolutely love this place! I am so thankful that these animals have a place to go if they can't be in their own habitat due to injury or being housed illegally an they can't be released to the wild.
Side note if it is a super hot day, the animals will be "hiding" they are trying their best to stay cool. Totally don't blame them. So it's best to plan a hot day trip first thing in the morning if you wish to see the most animals.
There is the little snack shack right outside the park with proceeds going to help the park/animals. An you can go to the playground or kids train (costs extra) when it's running.
During the holidays they do a beautiful festival of lights in the park! They decorate & you can come in at night, it's so pretty & fun to do with the whole family. Definitely recommend coming here, love helping support the work they do.

This place is great for some fast convenient food add to catch up on the latest movie. Although it’s not brand new anymore and has a little bit of a worm out feel it’s still really nice

The place is falling apart and food is not that good. Very disappointing.
This used to be a place for fine dining and comfortable seats. Now it is sitting in a trashed old dodge with worn through seats.
The theater responded that management would redouble cleaning efforts. The response is missing my point entirety. Staff at the theater are doing everything they can. The leather seats are literally falling apart with holes exposing the underlying foam through cracked material. This makes the seats uncomfortable. I did not consider the impossible task of sanitizing shredded leather. Management's response leaves me wondering how they avoid heath code violations.

It was amazing. The seats reclines. It was a bit cold. Everyone was friendly. I had the coconut shrimp and onion rings, a tad overcooked. But it tasted good. I can't wait to go back.

I like the idea of eating here more than the actual experience. The nachos had so much cheese that the bottom chips were soggy before they even got to us. My fries were soft. The chicken strips were good. The biggest disappointment was the brownie sundae. Usually brownie sundaes have a warm brownie. The brownies in this dessert were cold and rock hard. Very difficult to break off a piece to eat.

Had the worst experience tonight at this theater. We were one of the first people in the theater. The one waiter taking orders took everyone else’s orders around us but ours. Blatantly passing us and taking the order of the people next to us without acknowledging us. As more people came into the theater their orders were taken before ours. It wasn’t until we used the call button were we attended to. My boyfriend and I considered leaving and asking for our money back. I was very excited about the movie so we decided to stay. Additionally, our main courses were delivered before our appetizers. The way we were ignored seemed very purposeful and disrespectful honestly. Most likely will not attend again.

This place was really cool. Went there for the first time to see Top Gun. Such an amazing movie. The staff here was so friendly, they were moving out of the way of guests to accommodate them, they were all smiling and happy to help with all of our questions. The service at our seats was good as well. Our food was brought out within 10 minutes. We got the pretzel bites which were amazing and I got a salad. Even better is they accommodated myself as a vegetarian and removed the meat from the salad. I wish the frozen margarita was cheaper so I could have tried it but other than that it was an amazing experience. They were clean and cleaned up after us when we were done. Can’t wait to go back!

Have always loved Studio Movie Grill. It was our go to prior to the pandemic. Went several months ago and was very disappointed. Similar to the previous review; the place has not been kept up. It’s in need of serious repair. You have a great place there but the conditions have made me not want to return! Sad!

Pretty comfortable theaters but the chairs are worn down. Fortunately they are aware of this and are already scheduling upgrades. The food was pretty good. My wife thought the meat pizza tasted too much like Pizza Hut, but it had a ton of meat. The chicken nachos were great as were the chicken tenders. The prices on their food are cheaper than you'd expect at a movie theater. The popcorn quality has been a little hit and miss. Two of the four times we've got popcorn it was cold & stale.

Big screens, good sound systems, drinks are pretty good, food is not too bad but a little overpriced. I'm a regular there. Buy tickets early or else you'll be stuck in the front row.

Very comfortable seats. A great date night experience. I like being able to purchase seats online and choose where you want to sit. Food is better than you would expect for this environment. Not like in a good restaurant but good. Service was great as well.

I've been coming here since they opened some years ago. The prices for the movies aren't bad, the bar has great prices for drinks, along with some delightful specials. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The service during the movie was quick, and didn't interfere with the movie in the slightest. The food was good and worth the price, at least for what we got. We will absolutely continue to come here many more times in the future!

Always a nice time at this place. Tuesdays are great for the family due to the reduced ticket prices. TJ is always in a great mood and super nice when serving. Food comes out when ready and usually not all at the same time like a regular restaurant which makes sense because food is always better when served timely. Full bar here too so you can order any drink you would like. They have a solid 2 person menu also. Hard to go wrong with smg.

I wish they would do more to clean this place. Just about every seat, cup holder, and surface were dirty in this place. Don't turn your phone flashlight on. Also the floor is sticky in the bathroom. Super appetizing to eat food here.
Kyle Szombathy — Google review
I love this theater. This is one of those places that you come to, and don’t mind spending the extra money to watch a movie and eat good food. That have a full bar & restaurant with seating outside of the actual theaters, so even if you wanted to have a drink & grab something to eat, you could. You can also have your food and drinks delivered to your seat inside the theater, while you watch a movie. The staff is friendly, and efficient, and please understand that they have to move around in & out of the theater in order to do their jobs. Which sometimes means walking between you & the screen. Overall, I love the whole concept of the movie grill, and will continue to go as often as I’m in the area.
Omar Jackson — Google review
What a fun novelty to be served food in a movie theater! Be aware... if you order liquor, it will come out thirty minutes after your food order. I need liquid to eat food so my food got cold while I waited for my drink, and we ended up having to go elsewhere to eat after the movie. I did advise an employee who came to take my food away that I hadn't received a drink yet so I hadn't been able to eat. She just walked away and nothing happened as a result of telling her that.
It just would be nice for food and beverage to show up together. This has been my experience both times I have eaten here so it seems to be consistently how they operate. Otherwise, a nice experience but if the food/drink isn't what you're into its the same as any other theater.
Dale & Melissa & Kids — Google review
Prices are pretty standard for movie theater fare. Food itself is mediocre at best though. I'm not sure the nachos, shrimp, or onion rings were drained at all as they were all dripping with oil. So much so that it was piling on the bottom of my tray when served. The nacho chips were equally transparent with oil. I can't imagine any of the other items are much better. The theaters are cleaned well and comfortable. They kept the volume up pretty loud in our movie, which was kind of annoying. All in all, if you want a dinner and movie experience, you can get it here but you might be better served grabbing dinner elsewhere ahead of your movie.

Not too sure why the negative reviews because my mother in law and I went today and had a blast and our food was surprisingly good! We got the 2 for $32 and shared the pretzel bites (they were pretty good! Cheese dip was a little watery), chicken tenders with fries (they were delicious with the honey mustard) and a pepperoni pizza (also delicious and cheesy!). The food is more like movie theater food but it was all like I said surprisingly good! The recliners were super comfy, sound was nice and loud, and if you haven’t seen ordinary angels you should because it was an incredible movie! Our server was super nice and the service was quick but it was also 11:30 AM. 10/10 great day date with my MIL.

Nice place. Ordered hatch pasta. 1st serving noodles were not cooked all the way and the chicken was super super dry. Asked to be replaced, but was the exact same. Had the free popcorn coupons and got charged for them. Manager did fix and refunded for the popcorn. Just an inconvience.

There was a young man who was struggling with his allergies and continued to keep wiping his nose. Poor guy I don't know if he had some allergy medicine. A crew leader/ supervisor said he needed to wash his hands. I was worried he might be serving food today. I wish they did a better job cleaning the tables. Mine had food stuck to it. I had to move a few seats down to something cleaner. Other than that I enjoy coming here.

Always an excellent experience at SMG! Good food, great service nice venue. The seats are a little outdated compared to other theaters as they are not electric and only have one reclining setting, but still not uncomfortable. Definitely not a deal breaker.
Amusement chain featuring mini golf courses & arcades, some branches with water slides & laser tag.
The mini golf is such a blast and definitely a great activity to do with your family! The setting is so perfect and all the mini buildings are so absolutely adorable! Each hole ranges from super easy to somewhat tricky for the most part making it on going fun for everyone to enjoy! After golf we went in and played in the arcade which was ok. The games seem a little run down and more often then not they seem to just stop working or need maintenance of some kind. There is a lot to do for the whole family to enjoy nonetheless and prices seem about average! Parking is easy, and bathrooms are clean. Hours are great and they are open from 10am-10pm. Employees are kind and very helpful if need be! It’s the perfect place to bring your family or friends to enjoy an morning, afternoon, or evening out of the house!

Went mini golfing, price for 18 rounds was about 15$. But when you walk in it's super overwhelming. Didn't know where to go and after getting our clubs and ball no help on where to start or how to play. But figured it out after a few minutes. Food was horrible. Pizza was completely way over priced for what you get it was like microwave pizza for 25 bucks. And the chili dog was cold and had a weird taste to the chili so no one ate that. Overall might come back for mini golf now that we know where to go and play but stay away from the food.

I attended a cousin's birthday party and this is the most fun I've had since I was child myself.
Arcade is huge, pizza and drinks are good, parking is ample, and the place is very clean and entertaining. The package included go-karts, lazer tag, round of mini golf, and a card good for 5 plays.
The only cons are that there is no elevator to get upstairs, and there are no bathrooms upstairs either; also the party hostess forgot to hand out the birthday boy's presents after the cake was cut.
Easy to overlook as the atmosphere and company were fun and exciting. I highly recommend this for parties and events.

This summer was our first time visiting the water park and it was a blast. The first time we went on a weeknight for Night Sliding and it wasn’t crowded at all and we had a great time exploring the park and having water fun. The second time we went was on a Saturday for Night Sliding, and we knew that was obviously going to be a high volume time to go. Everything was really crowded, life vests were just thrown around and you kind of had to hunt for them if you needed one for the kids. Tubes for the lazy river were something you had to really work for, lots of people just ended up walking through the river which caused lots of awkward moments bumping into people, or feet in your face etc. we all still made the best of it and had a good time, but we would definitely go back on a weekday. Prices are meh, and customer service is not the best by any means. I chatted with 3 different people on their website and was given three different answers for the same question, so when I called I was hopeful it would be cleared up and I was just given a new answer as well. We would love it if this place offered Military Discounts, or Military Family Nights because it would be a great turnout. Their website isn’t the best either and its hard to get information or navigate through with such little detail about tickets etc.

We love this place! There is so much to do here, not just the water park. You could easily spend a full day and come early and do miniature golf, video games, then water park for a day or night session and go-kart somewhere in between. Laser tag too. The food isn't terrible, prices are okay. The service we get when we rent the cabanas is excellent. You get your own cabana staff to take off your needs. We make this almost 2-hour drive at least several times a year. This location and park are far better than any others in the local area. They keep it very clean very well staffed and and update rides. I feel safe here with my family. It may not look like it from the outside but in this one location there is quite a bit to do. I highly recommend it!

I've driven by this place a few times, not today I was able to stop. Put in a round of miniature golf with my daughter.
Balls fly all over the place, lol. A lot of the obstacles and challenges seen to come with a Plus 1. One hole had a ramp, but if you don't hit it hard enough it falls into a like running water, and the ball goes down into the fountain. It wasn't by design, but that was the consequence. The person hitting in the group saw that and hit it pretty hard, it cleared the moat or whatever, but hit the cement and went flying.
That's crazy, but it was one of the better mini golf joints I've been to.
Great time

We had a children’s birthday party recently and we did one of their party packages which were reasonably priced for what they entail. Everything was well coordinated, the “party specialist” was amazing with the kids and everything was ready for us. They even got to decorate their own cupcakes! You can customize the party decorations too. The arcade was so clean and so were the golf courses. We are looking forward to spending more time here and trying the other activities too! Shout out to Emery for their incredible work and their sunny disposition. They connected with the kids so well. Will be coming back for another party in the future!

We visited in July 2023.
There was plenty of parking, and everything was clean and ready for the day. The check-in staff was friendly and helpful. We arrived early to get better parking and immediate access to the Waterpark. It was a hot, busy day, but their staff was on top of everything. The food was fresh, and the drinks were cold. The arcade was big and the coolest area to hang out on a hot day. I would suggest arriving early if you have a group of people. Place your items and reserve a spot or table, which is really the only thing that is limited in supply of there. If they added some shade netting in common rest areas, that would be a huge improvement.

Roseville Golfland sunsplash is one of the most best places, it’s insane how much activities you can do in a small town just like Disney world or universal. Also the passes are super cheap and you can get to the water park for free if you had a pass, it’s 17 dollars a month for free attractions like mini golf, fastcar raceway, laser tag, and of course, the waterpark, you also get free points for arcade! You must visit this place is you live in Roseville or a town near Roseville and theme parks that are far away.

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of wines, but this place changed my opinion. I stopped by Hannah Nicole to pick-up a few bottles for my staff as Christmas gifts. The hostess at HN was super friendly. We has a nice conversation which led me to taste a few of their wines. I was very impressed and enjoyed each one. For the very first time, I joined a wine club. The California State Capitol Museum is a long-standing museum that documents the history of California in exhibits, artifacts, and more. The grounds of the Capitol are considered to be one of the most beautiful state capitol grounds in the country.
Clean and beautiful. I didn't go inside as I thought I've been to the one in WA DC, so let's save time for something else. However, I was awestruck by the lush green and delightfully fragrant orange trees laden with ripe fruits. They line the pathways and stand tall against the tall palms and buildings in the background. They smell lovely. The rose garden is also breathtaking, there are many varieties. Some people were there to take wedding pictures and Instagram videos, because it's so warm, beautiful and pleasant here. There are hummingbirds hovering above the salvia bushes also. Love this lovely place!

Bad impression at first: the museum is closed. All of it. The rooms, the tours, the store - shut down. This is my third capital building and the least inviting. Every door was closed. If it wasn't for the open session and beautiful architecture, I would have been sorely disappointed. I was able to sit upstairs and listen in on the session which was a treat. I felt a measure of restored faith in humanity. They questioned finance on expenditures and voiced their concerns regarding project deadlines. All without trying to win a vote or hidden agenda. I'm not even a resident in this state, but to hear these politicians speaking up on behalf of the citizens was a breath of fresh air. If you have an hour, take the time and listen in.
Side note: they have wall display cases for each county. Some are elaborate, some a simple and some are a disaster. It's the capital building - do better.

Title: A Historic Gem in Sacramento
The California State Capitol in Sacramento is an absolute must-visit for anyone passing through or residing in the area. As a history enthusiast, I found this landmark to be a treasure trove of political and architectural significance.
The majestic architecture of the Capitol building itself is enough to capture your attention from afar. Upon entering, you're greeted with beautifully maintained grounds and gardens, providing a serene atmosphere amidst the bustling city.
Inside, the rich history of California unfolds through informative exhibits and guided tours. From the legislative chambers to the governor's office, every corner echoes with the stories of past decisions that shaped the state's destiny.
The highlight of my visit was witnessing democracy in action as I observed a legislative session. It's a humbling experience to see the intricate workings of our government firsthand.
Whether you're a history buff, a political aficionado, or simply seeking a tranquil escape in the heart of Sacramento, the California State Capitol delivers an unforgettable experience. Don't miss the chance to immerse yourself in the legacy of this iconic institution.

Great place to enjoy the parades. Went there for the first time and it was a nice experience. They are some beautiful status and great pieces of art to see. 👏

It's a state capital, full of history, its free. My children love to run around here, my older children and myself got an opportunity to watch the State Assembly in session, that was pretty amazing to see how it all worked. It's beautiful inside and out. Last we went they are doing construction so we only saw about half of the capital. It's worth a visit.

Video should make you giggle but I was serious. I had a great tour of the capital. Security was a breeze. There are some reconstruction happening so beware if that. It was wonderful to see the old offices but I was most impressed with the chambers. I didn’t get to see any actual legislative personnel but I got inspired. You can find paintings of all the known governors of California. Never been a black one, apparently. You’ll love the architecture and strong feel to the building. It’s like a bunker. There’s security and guides all over so you won’t get totally lost. The cafe was closed when I visited. I did get to visit the store. I decided to grab a tie.

It’s beautiful and majestic, well maintained. Visiting this place could help us to have a better understanding about the United States history and how the government employment work back then. It’s renovating different sections of the building so very limited areas we can see. I’m glad we went there.

I'm going to start writing more positive reviews. I'm tired of writing negative reviews about as much as everyone is tired of reading them.
But the state capital was a nice Lil trip. Enjoyed myself very much. It was good changing up the Sean. I liked it very much.

I really liked that there is a transparency and openness when you come to a Capitol. First, check what are the operating hours. I took a tour at about 12pm. The guide was a very friendly and emotional person. He told amazing facts about California and capitol itself. Just keep in mind many parking lots in downtown are not free.

The number one tourist place in Sacramento, CA, is the State Capitol. As the state capital, it is full of rich history. The entrance is free, and both the interior and exterior are exceptionally beautiful. It is definitely worth a visit, as you can have great historical experiences here. They offer free tours, but it's advisable to check their website for specific days and times. If you're in Sacramento, don't miss the opportunity to visit this wonderful building. The pictures on the walls depict the history of senators. The building is maintained perfectly, and the architecture is commendable!

Beautiful building of a Californian government and museum under one roof. The whole building is A/Ced and you can get some refreshments from the bistro on the ground floor. If you like to find out more about California, put your name down on the list for a guided tour (free of charge). We really enjoyed our time over here and I can recommend it to anybody.

We were visiting Sacramento and decided to check out the California State Capitol. It was built in a Neoclassical style by prominent architect Reuben S. Clark in 1874. At one corner there is a Capital Mall and on another side, there is Capitol Park. The Capitol Museum is on the grounds of the Capitol. It is free to enter on weekdays.
We couldn't enter the museum because it was a weekend, so we roamed around the park. Remember to check out the website before visiting about closures and reservations.
The Crocker Art Museum is a world-renowned museum with a wide range of exhibits, including paintings, sculptures, and drawings from around the world. It's also home to one of the best collections of California art in the country. The first floor of the building has been designated as an education center with classrooms, library space, and exhibition area perfect for student and community exhibitions.
COVID precautions require purchasing timed tickets. Sold at 15 minute entry intervals, I purchased mine right before I left my house. Beautiful expansion building is attached to the original Crocker mansion. Exhibits were well laid out and easy to navigate. Loved the bright open areas and the eclectic mix of Mexican, African and Asian art. Spent 3 hours here and easily could have made it a full day to take it all in. Gift shop is small but reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit!

This museum is GORGEOUS. The fashion, the paintings, the ceramics, the art pieces... All absolutely amazing. The museum is very neat, open and quiet. There's staff nearby in every section. Bathrooms are pristine. The atmosphere is peaceful and inviting. Overall, a great experience! Side note: I'd recommend you set aside 2 hours to see the whole place.

Beautiful location to explore. Combines modern with Victorian, so easy to get lost in the art. It's a place I could stay for hours, lighting was never too harsh but never so dark that I couldn't see the art. Great collections with beautiful sections. Easily will go more than once.

Was so surprised at how great this not-so-little museum is! We expected to be in and out in less than 2 hours, but spent 3 and still didn’t see everything.
I particularly enjoyed the explanations accompanying each work — by far the best I’ve seen (and I’m a pretty frequent museum-goer), and I found that taking the time to read the blurbs really enhanced my understanding of the work. From explanations about the artists’ lives and influences, historical and political implications, and discussions of the materials used, these write-ups also included tips of what to look for — some of which I otherwise would have missed.
This is a great way to spend an afternoon — whether you’re a visitor to Sacramento, or a resident who just hasn’t visited the Crocker yet!

A lot of fine art and a three hour walk within the building and I feel like we still didn’t get to look at everything. There’s so much to see so many beautiful paintings, historical artifacts, and sculptures. It’s a nice place for a family get together to go really see some history, there was a story about a Native American woman whose son was taken from her and placed in a Catholic church school It really caught my attention.

As museums go, I would rate Crocker among the top. The Candy Store Gallery is a must see and during our trip, we spent 4+ hours in the gallery and 60% of that was in the Candy Store Gallery.
The docents reach out to engage and are so knowledgeable - the stories captivate and get you to appreciate what is in front of you.
A must stop for any museum lover visiting Sacramento.

Visited for free as part of the Bank of America Museums on Us Program. An absolutely beautiful massive collection of art. It can be a bit confusing to navigate all the different rooms spread across multiple levels but you almost want to get lost in the variety. So many different styles, artists, mediums. My favorite are the glass art pieces. Extremely beautiful. Plentiful parking when we visited as well and inexpensive street parking nearby.

I've lived in Sacramento my whole life and somehow had never been to the Crocker Art Museum. I have walked and driven past it numerous times and have always wondered if it was worth a visit and I finally know that the answer is a resounding YES! This is a wonderful place to visit solo, with friends and family, with kids, etc. There's something for everyone to see.
The docent led tours are a must for newbies and there is even a special tour for kids that is offered on the 1st and 3rd sunday of every month. My 6 and 7 year old children loved it and stayed engaged throughout the approximately 1 hour long tour through the 2nd and 3rd floors of the museum. The docent was very knowledgeable about the exhibits and the local history and made it fun for kids and adults.
There is a large courtyard area for kids to eat and run around outside and an indoor tots area with playhouses and other montessori inspired toys. There's a small cafe inside but food and drinks must be enjoyed on the 1st floor only.
Overall this is a great place to visit to see art and learn about local history for a reasonable price.

Great collection of early 19th to 20th century californian paintings esp of landscapes giving us a good idea of how these places looked like in that era. The building itself has a fascinating history too. Huge collection of pottery and native baskets too.
Great museum of arts. Highly recommended.

I live in Sacramento for about 12 years and this is the first time I've ever gone to the museum! I can't believe this is my first time, just now going! My wife and I are getting ready to celebrate our 9-year anniversary on the 31st. We planned a day out together to just go around Sacramento and enjoy some of the attractions and activities right here at home for the day. This was one of them. For me, I absolutely love the original museum because I enjoy historic buildings. The stairwell and the tile work, everything about it was just really amazing to me. I absolutely loved it. When we went over to the newer building where there was actually more art to be seen, that was enjoyable as well. Some of the pieces were very are inspiring. There are three that really stood out. The giant mural of the old man, the father, was really amazing. Also the AI exhibit turned out to be one of the most fun components of the museum. Stating a phrase, thought or an idea and that it coming up with a drawing that represents that was fun to see. Very interesting indeed. There is even a time that my wife was trying to push the button and I wasn't ready yet and so we kind of had a little bicker with her trying to get me to go and I wasn't ready, so I bickered back and it actually captured a little bit of our Tiff and drew a picture of a man and wife arm wrestling - lol. I thought that was actually pretty amazing. We ended up printing that one out and keeping it. Smiling the whole time. In total we spent 3 hours there. If a person doesn't engage in the AI portion and, goes through everything quickly without stopping to really take it in from time to time--I'm sure they can get through it in an hour and a half to 2 hours or so. But we took our time. I appreciate that they also recognize veterans and gave me a discount on the admission as a result. That's always a nice touch. Parking was nice and easy and the day was beautiful. As a matter of fact when we were done we just went for a little scooter ride around the area:-)
Also, the views from the upper levels of the new building are really incredible. Everything was just really well done. I didn't know if I would like it that much but I've never been and so we went. My wife went once way back in high school, she found that she enjoyed it too. She's an artist, she paints acrylic on canvas. I write music sing and dance. That's my art form. It was nice to see such a diverse collection of painted art as well as crafts. I definitely say get there late morning or early afternoon. The timing of that seems to work well. We went to a late breakfast prior, and then drove straight there. We got there around 10:50am or so, then by the time we were done at 1:50pm, we were ready for a light lunch.
Sacramento was filled with things to do right here at home. Oftentimes for anniversary celebrations, I book something out of town or some sort of a mini trip. This year we decided we wanted to stay close to home. We filled our day with breakfast, crocker Art museum, walking around downtown, riding scooters downtown, little clothes shopping, a movie, a fun hip place for dinner and dessert and then home. It was a lovely day. I think about it often. It was really just nice to be out with my wife like this. We have five kids, this felt good. Kind of like just dating again just being young and fun. I look forward to many more memories with her like this :-)
The California State Railroad Museum is a must-see museum in Old Sacramento that features 21 restored locomotives on display. The museum also has exhibits on railroad history, railroad workers, and the diversity of people who work on railroads. The round trip train ride takes visitors along the photogenic Sacramento River and is pulled by either a steam or diesel locomotive.
Museum was absolutely awesome if you have any interest in history, locomotives or transportation. Absolute love scale model trains, transformational (although mostly automobiles) but still found this museum to be a perfect fit. Also caught a docent led tour which explained some of the important pieces. A particular highlight is they have a railroad stake made with pure gold in the display case. Also got to step inside of one of the steam powered trains another docent explained the controls and history. One more docent led exhibit was the mail sorting train cart and it was awesome to see how mail got efficiently transported throughout the country.

Went here 10/22 with my family. Everyone really enjoyed seeing the trains. We went early on a Saturday morning and had a great time. The docents really make the exhibits come alive as they tell the stories of the era. They have a bunch of exhibits telling the stories of the immigrant workers. There are train rides during the day and various events. Upstairs they have a number of hands on exhibits as well as play area for toddlers with train themes. They also have an extensive collection of model trains which was almost as interesting as the real trains. They are remodeling part of the museum when we visited but it didn’t get in our way.

It was the most beautiful concert I have ever been to in person with live instruments. The candles definitely set the mood although they weren’t real candles. It was definitely better to have fake ones that last at all night with no heat in the room since it was already hot in Sacramento, the musicians were phenomenal. The music performed was very exceptional and delightful. I had the best time ever definitely worth the 2 Hour Drive

What a wonderful place to be! My son, daughter and husband LOVE trains so this is always as easy stop when we are in Sacramento! I would definitely give 3-4 hrs to explore and have fun! If you can stay for longer there is plenty to see and do in and around the museum. On top of seeing full size train engines there is a lot of history, displays and trains you can actually get inside and walk around. One even moves said your currently out on the rails. Don’t miss the upstairs! A cute little play area for younger kids, an interactive miniature train village and some STEM play as well. You can also arrange to go on ride as they have a train that goes a couple times a day. It goes down a couple miles then comes right back. I highly recommend stopping by! The gift shop is alot a favorite of ours!

This is a great and well-maintained museum of railroad history in Sacramento, California. We visited on a weekday morning, and there was no rush. Different tickets are available for adults and children. This museum appeals to people of all ages. On Level 1, there is an extensive display of locomotives and carriages from the transcontinental railroad era, providing a fascinating glimpse into railway history. The top floor (Level 3) houses an amazing collection of toy trains, with several of them operational. Additionally, there is a designated train play area for kids. The docents are welcoming and knowledgeable, offering a wealth of stories and information.
While excursion train rides are available, it's important to note that these are separate from the museum entrance. Be sure to check out the gift shop, which offers a wide range of collections including toy trains, keychains, books, coins, caps, cups, and more. I highly recommend visiting this museum; it's a worthwhile experience for everyone.

This is a fantastic train museum exhibit wise. Many train museums have a lot of rolling stock including a lot outdoors where as the amount of rolling stock here is more limited but the restoration quality on most of the cars and locomotives is excellent. The layout and displays are in depth and cover the important rail history of California in particular but also generally. In addition to the ground floor displays including a handful of cars you can go through there is an extensive display of model railroads on the third floor. A small children's play area and a 5 car train on tracks on that same level as well. For the price a really great value and place you can spend a few hours with young and old a like.

Everyone should take a railroad ride, it doesn't cost much. The trip is short but fun, especially when the train changes tracks on the turntable. Such a great day! We got there when it opened, best because way less people. The kids had so much fun with them whole place. Loved the chalk, loved the toy trains, loved the dining car. My ten year old son loved asking all the questions and the attendants were so helpful and sweet. Great place to take kids. There is something amazing about kids just wanting to learn about the mechanics without having to prompt them. Trains are awesome! I've been before so today I just followed so the kids around and let them explore. Magical day!

I really like this museum and it's a big deal if you like railroad history. I first came here five years ago and have returned. The museum is a great Wealth of information about Railroads, the history and very interesting artifacts. Ground floor has covered many historical events and trains while top floors has great toy trains collection etc and some fun play areas. We especially liked the experience of walking through those train compartments that have the effects to mimic the reality. There were employees dressed as the train staff in the exhibits. They were very patient and answered many questions from children. This visit should be included in field trips if school children. The gift shop is cute but the books were a bit expensive. There’s no food in the museum. The paid parking garage in front of the museum was very good.

This museum is one of the finest in the country. There are certainly larger railroad museums. But this one displays it's artifacts in a stunning and accessible way. They are objective and humane about the terrible experience of the Chinese immigrants who built the railroad across the Sierras.
I highly recommend this museum for rail fans and California history buffs alike.

This place is an absolute gem! Don't let the unassuming entrance nor the vaguely disinterested ticket sales clerks fool you, this museum is absolutely amazing! Anyone would enjoy this place, regardless of their affinity for trains! I was truly impressed with every single exhibit. But, my favorite was the train we were able to walk through that had the sound, look, and feel of a train in actual motion. This place is astounding!

This is not only possibly the best railway museum in the world but also one of the best I've been to (maybe because I love old trains :). All possible trains, historical moments related to railways, especially in America, are represented. Everything is very nicely made and extremely interesting. It requires a lot of time to go around slowly, without rushing.

Lots of locomotives and cars, some of which you can enter, along with static exhibits devoted to the history of railroads and railroad people. It looked as though the kids in attendance were enjoying themselves, but there definitely are exhibits that older attendees will appreciate more.
The Museum not only celebrates trains as amazing machines, but also reminds us of the importance of railroads in our history and culture.
It is a member of ROAM, which means that you may be able to obtain free admission if you are a member of a museum that also is part of the ROAM network.

First time I go to a railroad museum, but he exceeded all my expectations. If you like learning about stuff or like trains, this is definitely a must stop to do. They have great history from the first train that existed in the United States now to the electric ones. You also learn how the Cole miners used to transport the Cole back in the day.

WOW! So much to see - definitely give yourself at least 2 hours (3+ if you want to read everything). Well worth the $12/adult we spent - I would have paid twice as much if not more. Incredible artistry and museum flow. One of the best museums I've ever seen. There are a few different floors (there is an elevator), one of which is all about toy trains. Gift shop had some really cool stuff as well. Afterward, give yourself plenty of time to explore the area - there's so much to do!

Loved this place. Everything is indoors now (last time I went was a few decades ago). The museum is very clean, and it has multiple restrooms inside the show room. There are multiple floors, and there are wheelchair lifts and elevators, but walking through the train cars is a tight squeeze. They have a free scavenger hunt for a little prize. There is a small gift shop with lots of train memorabilia. Parking is paid street or garage, and it's only a short (underground) walk from DoCo.

Went on a rainy week day so not crowded at all! Always so exciting to see old trains, they look classy and elegant. I particularly enjoyed the ones that's open for entering, not something you can do everyday unless you have a ticket, really gives you a brand new immersive lesson than just signs or videos alone. Although most of the mannequins other than the Chinese section were white dudes and I got spooked by a staff who sat in the car waiting to explain to guests. So beware of white dudes here, they could be real. They also offer the Polar Express train ride around Christmas time which we missed this time. If you're interested get the tickets as soon as you can!

This museum is amazing and very interesting and informative about both the good and the terrible in our history of the railroad tracks built across our country and the trains made that changed how people and goods could travel. The museum is very honest about everything that happened to the workers of all cultures, and gives credit to those who were unrecognized, dismissed, and who didn't survive in that era of such hard labor. I feel proud of all the women and those from other countries that showed their strength and grit and worked just as hard as the men leading them, and continued that work when American men went to war. You can listen to the stories and get on the trains in the museum and witness the beautiful and the tough that happened. Docents are throughout who add to the good and the bad stories. I highly recommend this museum. There are also kids' play areas and many small but elaborate train sets for kids and grownups to enjoy viewing, and some to purchase in the gift shop. I highly recommend spending hours at the museum, plus it's located in a great part of old downtown Sacramento with boardwalks, restaurants, music, and shops for taffy, candy, drinks, and much more.

Old Sacramento is a historic area situated along the riverfront, featuring buildings that date back to the Gold Rush era, as well as cobblestone streets and horse-drawn carriages. The region hosts several museums such as the Sacramento History Museum and state Railroad Museum, which provides train rides for tourists. This district also offers souvenir shops where you can buy T-shirts or antiques. Moreover, there are various upscale restaurants and bars that attract college students.
A nice farmers market. There is a variety of fresh produce, breads/baked goods, plants, handmade items, and more. It is very popular so it can be quite crowded and parking can get a bit messy nearby. However, it's next to Central Park which has lots of green spaces and playgrounds for kids so you can get some yummy treats and enjoy them picnic style nearby.

There are cold fruit drinks available for purchase at a few "stands". I enjoyed the atmosphere! Had a fun time. Will return in the future. Of note...not all of the vendors take debit or credit card so make sure to bring some cash with you!

This is one of the best markets We've ever visited and we live in CA. Talk about different vendors from fruits, yummy food, organic drinks, delicious pastries, different freshly made cheeses, honey and wine! This was a really great treat as we got to savor different fruits and some great yummy foods.

Amazing farmers market with everything you can imagine.

The market was amazing. The produce selection was pretty broad with lots of vegetables and fruit. Many different types of good food to choose from if you're trying to just catch breakfast or lunch. Masks weren't required but there was a mix of people wearing and not wearing them.

Authentic All American farmers market. Amazing produce, all organic. Made me proud of our farmers. So much love and commitment towards health, quality, and sustainability!

Excellent selection of farmers and fresh, in season fruits and veggies. There were also food trucks, cheese, breads, pastries, wineries, and craft vendors.

A very family friendly farmers market, serving lots of food options, fruit and vegetable stands, and local crafts. There’s a park, bathrooms, playground, and parking all around.

The Central park authorities use the park to the fullest so that not an inch of land would be wasted. I would not call it a park anymore because it is more commercialized than any other parks i had seen before. Anyone can see that Farmer's Markets are now just about everywhere. They are on the parking lots of schools, colleges, parks, hospitals and many shopping centers. It seems we have a war against the chain supermarkets. As a result, Supermarkets' prices are now getting higher because they do not sell as much as they used to. Not everyone is buying from Farmer's Market. Majority are going to the supermarkets and have to pay now MORE. Farmer's market orginizers found a nice loophole to make nice profits renting these parking lots that are actually subsidized by local residents in forms of taxes. Don't park officials have to ask every local resident if they want the land they pay for to be used by someone to make money? We have enough stores with plenty of foods including organic foods. Why do we need even more, unless one side is determined to bankrupt another. Also, I believe it hurts financially all restaurants as well who need customers to survive and who pay a very high rent for the location near the park. Therefore, it is not fair. Why not to use the Central park land to build at least one affordable student dormitory. Wouldn't it be nicer?
Nice place for photos hoots. Best place for kids interested in knowing about plants..

Cool place to take a stroll with the family. Brought wife, baby, cousin, and grandma along on a nice day while some plants were in bloom. Having an app like PictureThis isnt a bad idea if you want to identify and catalog different types of plants. Not too many people here on a nice Saturday evening. Local and nearby shopping and restaurants arent bad and the local college students are mostly respectful of the area and passerbys. Will be back

Love this place! No wonder it's on the top10 among US public botanical gardens. Shady trees, different plants and flowers. Lots of parking too, I parked along Old Davis Rd.and Hilgard Lane, lots of parking spaces (paid $9). Will definitely come back.

You will meet the greatest and happiest staff here. Everyone is super excited about their programs, events and sales. Definitely stop by anytime between 8am-5pm.
Big, research-centric public school founded in 1905 & known for its science & engineering programs.
I highly recommend this teaching veterinary hospital. They were able to help my Little fur baby when my regular vet could not. The staff and students are very willing to answer all questions to make sure that you are comfortable with the care your pet needs.

Good college, there’s a big campus and the dorms nearby are in good condition. My fav things about coming here are the library and clubs they have to offer. 📚🚙🚴♀️☕️

Scrubs Cafe near UC - Davis Veterinary Community Clinic serves high quality, fast-type food, giant salad bar and full service Peets Coffee. Easy access, parking, indoor & patio seating, spacious and clean. ADA compliant. Pleasant, polite and helpful mask-wearing staff. Limited yet good post pandemic menu. We had well prepared Harris Ranch beef hamburgers.

Exterior campus is nice, environment is wooded, quiet. Classrooms are quite dated for a supposed "high tech", progressive school, at least the areas we got a chance to see...

Honestly feels like most of the things related to school are a money grab. The teachers are just as good as anywhere else. I wish i had looked at other student's thoughts before choosing here compared to somewhere else... i just saw "number 1" and was like hey lets go there. They seem good if they have such a high rating.
Pros: has nature, a lot of clubs, possibility of joining a teachers research group as an intern
Cons: semester work load in 10 weeks, exams almost every week, way too expensive, campus food costs more than it tastes like it should, weird dining hours, very hard to navigate by car as bikes and pedestrians don't stop, most clubs you have to pay for if you even have time for them

Campus is wonderful, filled with natural scenery and beloved by students for many opportunities such as clubs and sports. However, the roads are terrible and some buildings seem outdated.

The University of California, Davis (UC Davis, UCD, or Davis) is a public research university and land-grant university located near Davis, California.[9] It is one of the ten campuses of the University of California system, and has the third-largest enrollment in the system after UCLA and UC Berkeley.[7] The institution was first founded as an agricultural branch of the system in 1905, and became the seventh campus of the University of California in 1959.The university is classified as an R1 university, meaning that it engages in a very high level of research activity.[10] The UC Davis faculty includes 23 members of the National Academy of Sciences, 30 members of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, 17 members of the American Law Institute, 14 members of the Institute of Medicine, and 14 members of the National Academy of Engineering.[11] Among other honors, university faculty, alumni, and researchers have won two Nobel Prizes, a Presidential Medal of Freedom, three Pulitzer Prizes, three MacArthur Fellowships, and a National Medal of Science.[11][12][13][14]
Founded as a primarily agricultural campus, the university has expanded over the past century to include graduate and professional programs in medicine (which includes the UC Davis Medical Center), law, veterinary medicine, education, nursing, and business management, in addition to 90 research programs offered by UC Davis Graduate Studies. The UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine is the largest veterinary school in the United States and has been ranked first in the world for five consecutive years (2015–19).[15] UC Davis also offers certificates and courses, including online classes, for adults and non-traditional learners through its Division of Continuing and Professional Education.
The UC Davis Aggies athletic teams compete in NCAA Division I, primarily as members of the Big West Conference with additional sports in the Big Sky Conference (football only) and the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. In its first year of full Division I status, 11 UC Davis teams qualified for NCAA post-season competitions.

Did you know at UC Davis they do animal studies where they shoot ketamine into them and give them vodka and then when they’re good and messed up they burn them so according to animal medical science, this doesn’t fall underneath animal cruelty.

Stunning campus. The staff is very friendly. The weekend is a lot quieter but still plenty to do. A walk along the arboretum is a must.

Returning for a bike ride around campus after a 40+ year absence since graduation here. Glad to see many of the old original buildings have been preserved, while upgrading around them.
