The Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park commemorates the life and work of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., one of the most influential civil rights leaders in American history. The site includes a church where King preached, a fire station where he rallied support for civil rights, and other locations where he worked to empower black Americans. The visitor center offers exhibits on the history of the Civil Rights movement and tours of key historical sites.
We took our two children here during our Atlanta vacation, so they could learn more about this part of history. I think they've done a wonderful job with the upkeep with MLK Jr's birth home and ensuring the whole block stays within historic standards. His final resting place was beautiful, with the reflection pool and his wife by his side. The museum was informative and I loved that they included a hands-on section for children to learn about hardships of other children and those from the past have had to endure. I think every child should have the privilege to visit the Martin Luther King Jr Memorial.

I had the honor of visiting the Martin Luther King Historical Park in Atlanta Georgia in January about a week before King's birthday. I would say the indoor exhibits and displays were well presented and laid out and representative of his life. The outdoor exhibits were moving as well. Admission is free. The highlights were the film, tour we signed up for to visit the house he was literally born in, seeing the neighborhood he grew up in and the awesome guide we had. I believe the church tour was temporarily closed. King is one of the very few people that I am in awe of and truly admire.

Great place to visit. We have had a hard history and I think the most emotional part for me was watching a young boy reading what we had done to people who looked like him. We have come a long way but we are not there yet!
William Spitzer — Google review
Quiet and less crowded historical park that is just a walking distance from the busy downtown. This is a free museum and site, managed by NPS. Inside the Visitor's Center is an exhibit entitled "Courage To Lead" follows the parallel paths of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and the Civil Rights Movement. You can also visit the final resting place of Dr. King, Jr., which in itself is a beautiful memorial.
Eric Salas — Google review
This spot is definitely worth the visit if you are in Atlanta! There are a few blocks worth of sites, including the birth home of MLK Jr, the tomb of him and his wife, the Ebenezer Baptist Church, and the Visitor Center. Although we went during regular hours, the birth home was not open; I think you may have to schedule a tour but it wasn’t clear. The Visitor Center is the best place to start, and includes an exhibit about Martin Luther King Jr’s life and his role in the American civil right movement. The tomb is across the street and is a beautiful, solemn site surrounded by a fountain and displays about the principles of non-violence that King preached.
There is a large parking lot on the north side of the site.

Reverend Martin Luther King Jr memorial park and historic center. His birth home, church and resting place in Atlanta region of Georgia. This place takes you on a journey back in the history and give you an educational experience which is so beautiful and at the same time painful.
A true Leader, fighter and follower of Mahatma Gandhi 🙏🏼
‘We will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream’
PS: Entry is free and free parking available.
Might need booking for his birth home tour though.

An absolutely amazing experience. Every child learns about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr and his famous “I Have a Dream” speech, but visiting the national park provides you with an up close and personal view into his life.

This is a very inspiring and emotional place. I was in tears twice. First while watching the movie. Second, looking at the carrier that carried the MLK dead body from Memphis to Atlanta.
We have come so far in the journey, but so much has changed since. Every visitor to Atlanta or Georgia must have the opportunity to visit the place. Google maps takes you to the wrong place, and it may feel out of normal memorials, but it's there nearby, parking is free and not very crowded.
For my little daughter it was good learning and for us a family too.
Laxminarayan Kulkarni (Lax Kulkarni) — Google review
Absolutely loved this experience. I hadn't been since the exhibit was complete but am so happy to have the experience. Wonderful job Atlanta!! It would be nice if the home tours started a little earlier but this exhibit is a must see. I'd say do this over the Civil Rights Museum. At least this paints a positive picture of the happenings of the times. If we are going to tell the story...tell it right or tell it right. Those that have gone to both will understand what I mean. Thank you to this center for being beautiful. Thumbs up👍🏽!

Great experience and very informative.
My favorite part of the trip was visiting the church and the ranger giving the story of Martin Luther King Jr.
The trip was a very positive experience however one thing I would note is that the area is not safe. So if you bring your kids just keep an eye on them and be aware.

Truly an amazing historic neighborhood that you must see if traveling to Atlanta!!! One of the greatest gems in that area!!!
One of the stops if you take the Atlanta Downtown Streetcar 🚊The cost of the streetcar day pass is $3.00. Not bad!!
Brian Lawson — Google review
The museum is very informative and well maintained. There is a guided tour to the Birth Home of Martin Luther King, Jr.
Everything is completely free of charge and the location is very convenient (approximately 15 minute walk from Five Points station).
Highly recommend visiting the museum if you ever come to Atlanta.
Lawan Wijayasooriya — Google review
Extraordinary, wonderful. A story that impacts. Some newspaper articles that evidence facts. Some words from Dr King that fill you with inspiration. A national park that you must visit and maintain.
George Ortiz — Google review
I was surprised at the size of the MLK Jr Historic Park. The architectural design of the Visitor's Center is beautiful both inside and out. The inclusion of the neighborhood homes and fire house made this amazing journey so much more interesting. The videos, photos and audio-visual all worked together to make this an unforgettable experience.

I had a great time visiting and exploring this historic site. It was not crowded at all. Not too sure if it is wheelchair accessible. I was climbing a lot of stairs. Not many railing available. Just a heads up for those whom have a mobile disability. Highly recommended for all ages.
Stephanie Sanchez — Google review
This historical museum is a must visit! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this museum as a MUST SEE!! Coming here and walking through each of the exhibits is eye opening. To hear the recording of the people from that time area speak about their experiences is educational. To see all of the items in this museum is amazing. Seeing the items from Rosa Park and Mahna Gandhi is amazing as well. You can spend hours here. There was some preservation being done to the waterfall, so one side of the museum was not accessible. Ebenezer Baptist Church was open to the public on a schedule. Parking is free a cross the street. Entry into the church and museum is free. I’m thankful to have visited this museum.
Marian Grant — Google review
Tremendously insightful visit with a much deeper emotional impact than I could’ve imagined. Honored to have had glimpses into the life of MLK for my own personal education, to some extent, of his inspirations and dreams.
Michael Benissan — Google review
Went on a weekend and it was an amazing experience. Getting to see what fire trucks were like back in the days, as well as the structure of buildings. Loved each of MLK’s important quotes being written on the wall as you walk down the waterway. I don’t remember buying tickets in advance, but it’s always good to be proactive. I gained a lot of insight and knowledge from this visit, more than some of the books told us to be honest.
Primetime Johnson — Google review
Very moving tribute and historical telling of the extraordinary life and impact of Dr. King in his very short life. The cascading waterfall fountain and Rosa Parks and Ghandi exhibits are also highly recommended.
As great as it is I think think given the global impact of this historic figure it would be great if the US could expand this entire property (increase funding) so it is a more accurate reflection of Dr. King's contributions. There are impressive memorial sites to honor Dr. King across the US and in a few major European cities (e.g. Paris) but I think we could do better as a country and elevate this site.
MAF — Google review
This is a small park honoring MLK. It has his tomb along with his wife next to his set on a cascading fountain. Across his tomb is the eternal flame. There is also a small museum. The park is very serene and peaceful, a must see when in Atlanta.

So glad we stopped in to visit this site. It's a somber and informative place to learn more about the greatest civil rights leader in history and pay your respects. If you haven't visited and are interested in this topic, it's a must. Thanks to the staff for keeping it beautiful and operating well.
David A. — Google review
This place is fabulous! So interesting and uplifting! Everyone, and I mean everyone on the planet should come and visit! Make sure you go to the church and walk down to the MLK house!
David Whitehouse — Google review
A very well designed public space and museum with a lot to see. We planned this as a quick stop, but ended up spending our whole morning here. We came early on a weekday morning so it was not at all crowded. I found the exhibit of the civil rights march in the attached photo particularly impactful. Very immersive with lots of careful thought put in to the whole experience of the visitor as you walk from the back to the front of the deck. I couldn’t find the name of the artists or designer but I’d love to see more of their work.
Adam Thomas — Google review
Everyone should go here and take your kids here. To forget history is to relive it. Absolutely makes you realize the importance of Martin Luther King Jr and his courage, faith and perseverance. Left me speechless. If you think you have courage, this will make you think again.
Mike Vandermus — Google review
So thankful we stopped here for a few hours while in Atlanta. It was well worth the time. I learned a lot about Dr. King and the Ebenezer Baptist Church. We didn't get to see his birthplace because it is being renovated, but still a lovely and educational afternoon.

Taking my students to this beautiful, FREE, historic area in Atlanta is always so rewarding. So much to learn in the compact visitor's center and memorial sites.
Located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, Centennial Olympic Park is an oasis of green space and interactive attractions perfect for a summer day out. The fountain, the Fountain of Rings, can be synchronized to music and light displays and is great for children to enjoy. Nearby attractions include the Georgia Aquarium, the World of Coca-Cola, and the Childrens Museum of Atlanta.
This is a nice peaceful park even though there's plenty of people there. The view around you is amazing and gives the park so much energy. The park is in walking distance to the world of coke, aquarium, college football hall of fame and so much more. The view at night when the lights come on is great! You just feel Atlanta in this park. Great place for a picnic and to come throw the football with your kids. I'll definitely be going back to write some poetry, read, and even just to chill in a peaceful place. It's dog friendly for all dog owners. Depending on where you park you may have to walk a little to get in the park. Most parking areas are $20 and up to park with no time limit but no overnight parking.

It's a lovely place full of history, each step you dive is a pass into past Olympics games. The place is very green surrounded of between buildings, gardens, and concrete. It's a perfect balance.
Efrain Castañeda — Google review
I haven’t visited Centennial Olympic Park in some years and since the hotel we were staying at was within walking distance, we decided to go for a stroll. It was beautifully decorated for the holidays, very family and dog-friendly. There were some “characters” around but it’s Atlanta.
Millie Brown — Google review
Nice and clean park. There's not much there to do, except walk. It is a historic site with plenty of restaurants and tourist attractions in the area. There is a water area for the kids to play in, so bring a towel and a change of clothes if you plan to partake. You will have to pay to park on the street but it's inexpensive. It's better to go in the evening, when it's hot as hot. They have scooters for rental as well when you download the app.
Marie Toma — Google review
This park is a worth visit if you are on a trip to Georgia aquarium or the Coke factory. It lies just beside them within walking distance. Parking is a bit difficult since it is in downtown and no street parking is available most of the times. The entry is free of cost for the park. There are plenty of paid parking places around the park from $10-$20.
Sai C — Google review
This is such a relaxing fun environment in the middle of downtown Atlanta! When the weather is beautiful you can spend hours playing in the open. The Olympic rings are a great photo op! When we went the water springs were not functional. But those are great entertainment for children! Lots of great restaurants within walking distance of the Centennial Olympic Park.
Bugs Subu — Google review
The Centennial Park is free and it's location is in the heart of Downtown, Atlanta! There are great places nearby, so you will not be bored. It's a huge park where you can hang out with friends & family. We went to Atlanta at December so the weather is really nice! I like the coldness while walking! The park is also a good place to exercise. A lot of people are doing it in the area.
We also enjoyed the view, the establishments nearby and the buildings!!! This is free so I recommend you stopping by if you plan to visit Atlanta, GA!

A beautiful experience for tourists and locals alike. I dislike that the park is shut down for events most weekends. But it is a joy to walk during the week. It is a great event space to enjoy the skyline. I enjoyed one of the best concerts ever with Outkast once upon My Weekend in Atlanta.

This is one of the free places to visit for free in Atlanta. Centennial Park is in the heart of Downtown Atlanta, very close to the Mercedes stadium that hosted the Atlanta 1996 Olympics. It is a vast park for walking around and relaxing with fresh air...
It's an excellent place to enjoy the view, take pictures, and have an amazing time reminiscent of the memories of Atlanta '96.
I recommend you stop by if you plan visiting Atlanta, GA!

Had a chance to visit Atlanta in Sept. The weather is abt the same in Singapore, good public transport connectivity between airport and downtown. The place reminds me of Sydney with high rise buildings and a good mix of American/Asia/Japan/Spanish food. Not much sight-seeing but a good place for family as they have nice parks and beautiful houses.

Not a whole lot to do here. A lot of open space. It was safe walking around at night and taking pictures. Park was clean. Locals were friendly. Free admission.
Nicholas P — Google review
Beautiful spring day, early in the morning, was a lovely time to visit. Had the place to myself. Can be enjoyed as a big open space lined by pavillions, water features and a playground. Or if you have the time, walk through the "quilt" areas, each dedicated to a different aspect of the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. I was fascinated by the amount of thought and detail that was put into the planning of this space. Loved all the water features, including the splash park that you can walk through. Fun stop!

The park has many monuments to commemorate the Olympics. There are a lot of statues too. The tiles have the names of the Olympics participants to honor them. Very nice park in downtown Atlanta. Great place to go for walks, and you get to admire the beautiful skyline of Atlanta from within the park. Very beautiful and clean park and lots of water fountains, too, so you don't have to worry about getting dehydrated while you're out there in the heat. Everything is just walking distance too from within the park since you're in downtown.

I visited Centennial Olympic Park during the Christmas holiday. It's a very walkable park with a nice balance of open-air and wooded spaces. I recommend visiting the entire park if you can as it's something that can be completed in an hour or so. There are plenty of nearby attractions such as the Georgia Aquarium and the Coca Cola Museum.

Centennial Olympic Park commemorates hosting of the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. Serving as both a commemorative site and a hub for community engagement, the park offers a green space connecting the bustling city on all sides. There are numerous statues and fountains scattered throughout the park.
The park started a trend for a remarkable wave of economic revitalization in downtown Atlanta, spawning numerous restaurants, hotels, and retail establishments in its vicinity.

A great place to chill, read, or enjoy the company of others doing the same. Lots to do and see here, and the environment is clean and well maintained. The park centralizes access to the Georgia Aquarium, College Football Hall of Fame, Center for Civil and Human Rights, and the World of Coca-Cola. A great SkyView ferris wheel provides breathtaking views of the city. Do nothing or everything in this amazing city center.

Nice space in a busy city. Visit the park and just walk, sit or bring the kids to play.
It’s been a minute since the 1996 Olympics and this area was abuzz with international voices and the spirit of the world coming together for the best in athletic competition. That is of course when someone tried to darken the event but alas the human spirit and the City of Atlanta showed perseverance. Visiting the park conjures up history for me and the victory of a metropolis that continues on, adapting and showing resilience. Enough of history. Visit this park and enjoy the fountain and maybe take in the nearby attractions.

Excellent park for walking! Lots of space! Great photo opportunities! Loved the water fountain and Olympic rings! Many different types of restaurants nearby. We enjoyed the ferris wheel. There is a large map right next to the ferris wheel with all food and attraction options located across the entrance to Olympic Centennial Park.

Beautiful park with plenty to see. I really enjoyed the origin of sport statue, and the tribute to sport as well.
The Olympic rings are a showstopper, and there are plenty spaces to wander, relax, and take in the Atlanta sunshine. Relatively safe, and closes down after sunset.

Beautiful park in the middle of downtown, grounds were spotless and had a big splash pad for kids, perfect for a quick visit in the summer. Tried to use it for a shortcut to the GWCC real early, found out the gates close at night but thankfully it wasn't a huge walk to get around it 😂
World of Coca-Cola is a museum which is dedicated to the history and culture of Coca Cola. It features hundreds of artifacts, some of which illustrate the success and popularity of the drink in different parts of the world for 132 years. The museum contains exhibits about different aspects of Coca Cola's history from its invention to its current branding strategies. There is also a working reproduction of the bottling line that produces Coke bottles all over the world.
A memorable experience like no other! We were guided each step of the way by friendly, knowledgeable staff members. You get a better understanding of the history of Coca Cola, which is presented in an entertaining way! Definitely worth your time and money.
Jenette Arreola — Google review
It was a fun experience. The guides were really cheerful and the tour included a wonderful 3D video and another heart touching video.
There was a scent room where we could smell the scents of sweets, spices and fruits. Many coca cola artifacts were displayed very aesthetically throughout the place.
The best was the unlimited tasting of different coca cola products. I think there were around 100 flavours around the world but unfortunately it was too much for me to taste on the same day.
The experience was totally worth the money and I highly recommend you to visit World of Coca Cola at least once.
Lawan Wijayasooriya — Google review
The World of Coca-Cola provides an intriguing, albeit somewhat overly-glossy, look at one of the world's most recognized brands. Nestled in downtown Atlanta, the museum traces the history of Coca-Cola, from its origins to its global ubiquity, making for an interesting, if somewhat commercial, experience.
The museum's standout feature is undoubtedly the Taste It! Beverage Lounge, where you can sample an array of Coca-Cola products from around the globe free of charge. The experience of tasting a diverse range of flavors, familiar and foreign, adds a tangible, interactive element to the visit.
That being said, the museum sometimes feels more like an extended advertisement than an unbiased exploration of the brand's history. It offers a wealth of artifacts and information, but the overall narrative seems overly sanitized, with little critique or in-depth exploration of some of the brand's controversial aspects.
All in all, the World of Coca-Cola provides an entertaining day out, especially for those with a sweet tooth for the iconic beverage. Just be prepared for a largely sugar-coated depiction of this global brand's history and impact.
Abraham Kirkwood — Google review
Great place to visit for Coca Cola fans. The museum provides a great history about the company. All the old equipments and advertisements displayed really takes you back in time. We loved the experience of seeing the coke being bottled. The best part is the coke drinks from around the world. You will taste the best and the worst drinks possible. My 8 year old really enjoyed the experience and she never had a sip of coke prior to this.
Anand — Google review
An incredible place for any Coca-Cola or soda fan. The invention, the expansion, the globalization all of it is covered exceptionally in this place. The vending machines, popular coke merchandise, sports and pop culture collaborations, there’s a lot to admire.
Then there’s the secret vault, where century old Coca-Cola’s secret formula is securely kept.
There’s the tasting bar, where you get to try 40 different popular flavors from around the world. To top it all, it’s the Gift shop, which is accessible without entering the museum. It a has all sorts of unique and magical coco-cola merchandise. Clothes, magnets, stationary, sports items, home goods, there’s so much to explore.
Nehal Ahmed — Google review
Very much a place to embrace your love of Coca-Cola. A lot of vintage advertising elements. The tasting room at the end of the exhibits offers many flavors of Coca-Cola products from around the world. It was very busy when we went, and the many children with lots of sugar and some caffeine in their systems was a bit much for me, personally. Parking w as already full by 11am, and I had to search for other options. I was able to find one, but it was a little frustrating having to search for available parking.
When attending, be sure and purchase your tickets online, and you can enter at your entry time with just the QR Codes they send you as digital tickets.
Susan Herrera — Google review
It's kinda of a neat place. If you are a Coke fanatic, a must. I already knew much of the history of Coke, so revelations there. Neat to see all the ads and the old machines. It's not cheap and for a family, it's a little steep in my opinion... The tasting area was fun! All Of the flavors of the world!! That was cool!
David Whitehouse — Google review
Had an Amazing experience here. From the very beginning we were guided , provided with lots of background details about the origin and its worldwide influence. The scent discovery and tasting part was a real hit. You can discover a large variety of Coca Cola flavors there. Didn’t have an idea prior to this trip that these flavors of coca cola do exist. Enjoyed every moment inside the museum. You can get a lot of souvenir options. They keep some awesome collection of lip smackers.
Gargee Chowdhury — Google review
Fun experience. Right next to the Georgia Aquarium. A very fun walking tour. It was like a museum walking tour or the history of Coca Cola. Plenty of cool stuff to see. Vintage ad signs, vending machines, signs, and so much more. Take your time and read the walls in each exhibit, the history is really interesting. The scent room was interesting. The tasting room was fun. Trying all the different Coca Cola products from around the world was very cool. They even had Mezzo Mix, which I used to drink all the time when I lived in Germany. The gift shop was amazing, so many cool things to buy. Highly recommend if you have 2+ hours to kill in downtown Atlanta.

This was so much fun. I wasn't sure how interested I'd be in a soda museum but I was pleasantly surprised. The exhibits are engaging, the initial tour guide was really entertaining, and the whole experience was positive as a whole.
I will say that they claim to be ADA accessible and friendly for disabilities but they had no functioning wheelchair ramps or elevators - what I saw was out of service or blocked off. I'm handicapped, so navigating the museum was very difficult but worth it.

Title: Disappointing Experience at World of Coca-Cola
Rating: ★★☆☆☆
I recently visited the World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta, Georgia, hoping for an immersive and educational experience. However, my visit fell short of expectations due to several significant issues.
Firstly, the 3D movie experience was a major letdown. Unfortunately, the 3D effects were not functioning properly during my visit, which significantly impacted the overall experience. The lack of visual depth detracted from the intended immersion, making it difficult to fully engage with the content.
Furthermore, the first movie in the exhibit was also not working. This added to the disappointment, as it prevented me from fully understanding the historical context and significance of Coca-Cola. It would have been beneficial to have this foundational knowledge before delving deeper into the exhibit.
Another drawback of my visit was the overwhelming crowds and lack of organization. The venue was extremely crowded, which made it challenging to navigate through the various exhibits and enjoy them at my own pace. Additionally, the lack of clear signage and directions made it even more difficult to find specific attractions or move efficiently within the facility.
Considering the issues I encountered, I must say that the World of Coca-Cola did not live up to its reputation, and I found it hard to justify the price of admission. While it is undeniable that Coca-Cola has a significant impact on popular culture and history, the overall experience at the attraction fell short of my expectations. If you decide to visit, I would recommend checking the status of the 3D movie and other exhibits in advance, as well as considering the potential crowd size during your visit.

This visit was spur of the moment while visiting Atlanta. A full fun experience with the family. The video you watch before entering the exhibit, was very heartfelt. Great experience at the smelling stations and at the “Guess the smell” game. By far the best part was the tasting stations. You are able to sample sodas from all over the world, and from different countries, which was very fun experience. My favorite was the Philippines soda.
I would recommend visiting, great for all ages young and seniors.

Excellent place to spend a few hours and enjoy exploring the exhibits
We paid a little extra to have a tour guide, not an excessive cost and certainly added to the experience. Didn't have to queue up to see "The Bear" or the Vault or the cinema presentation. Got lots of additional educational information and were able to ask questions. Have free soft drinks at the start too

We enjoyed the various exhibitions and shows here on a Saturday afternoon. It was busy but not overwhelming. The history and memorabilia were really cool. The tasting at the end was neat, but my shoes are still sticky from the floor in that room 🙃 probably not much they can do about it with all those soda fountains! It probably took us about 1.5 to 2 hours to go through it. We enjoyed our visit and would recommend it, particularly if you're going to the aquarium, as it's right next door.

I couldn’t possibly visit Atlanta without checking out the World of Coca-Cola. The staff was friendly and generally cheerful which made for a great first impression. It was quite busy during my visit so I couldn’t experience all the spaces. I would recommend to allow sufficient time and to pack your patience to make the most of all the wonderful attractions. I particularly enjoyed the 3D theater and the opportunity to taste the mind blowing variety of beverages made by the company.

World of coke was a unique experience with the tasting portion of the museum. Heads up on the beverage lab: it says you can create your own beverage and drink it, but that’s not true. It lets you design a beverage on a screen and then tells you what coke product is similar to it; it’s definitely not what it is advertised to be. Other than that, the museum was great and the Georgia aquarium is in the same courtyard. You can buy a combined ticket to go to the museum, aquarium, and zoo and some other place. Expect traffic to be heavy and arrive at least two hours before the museum closes due to it being very crowded. The staff was fun and you can take a photo with the Coke polar bear and buy it for $25. Fun place!

Good place to visit. Lot to know about coca cola but a little pricey. Couple of shows about product. Tasting room is what got me excited about. Every international flavor of its brand can be tasted here which is great. Lot of good stories on how it started and expanded.

Easy entry, but we pre purchased tickets. Got there early..parking was a breeze and close to elevator. Took our time navigating both floors, watching the shows and exhibits. Employees were helpful and courteous. Gift shop overpriced but had some decent sale items. Tasting the different flavored cokes from other countries was my favorite!

It's good to see some of the interesting facts about the history of their products. Try to go afternoon/evening so there won't be much crowd and probably you could enjoy the Taste it! , a place where we can taste all of their products.
As it's so close to the Aquarium and parking is common, it's better to plan together.

Tickets are cheaper by a few bucks online versus buying them at the kiosk!
This is a very cool 1 & done experience. You will have a good time and some of the employees are very interactive and outgoing!
We did go during summertime so it was very busy (as expected). But it was just too many people throughout. Especially in the tasting room area.
Recommend if you’ve never been!

So this was a fun little stop during a work trip to Atlanta. I went by myself and walked from my hotel, and was able to attend a show within 10 minutes of buying my ticket. I spent about an hour to an hour and a half here. I enjoyed each section of the museum, as it held much more than I was expecting. I went on a Tuesday afternoon and there were probably 20 other people in my "group." It wasn't crowded at all and I had time to spend at each section.
Of course the highlight of this is the tasting portion. It's very fun to try different sodas from around the world. The gift store is also huge, there's a lot of souvenirs to choose from. I enjoyed spending some of my free time here. The ticket was $21 and I found it to be worth it.

One time visit is good. It’s a must visit place if you’re visiting Atlanta. I recommend buying tickets in advance online to beat the rush (although those tickets are non-refundable) so if you can’t make it past 5pm, don’t buy tickets online. I couldn’t get refund when i got stuck in a crash slowdown. Overall nice place to hangout with family.

Pretty cool spot to see the history of Coca-Cola. You can save $1 per ticket if you purchase them ahead of time. Definitely go earlier because it will fill up pretty quickly. We were able to find street parking, but it wasn't too close. There are paid parking garages as well. When you show up they give you a little introduction and tell you that it is a self guided tour. I wouldn't say it is a self guided tour as it is more of a pick the next mini tour or activety you want to wait in line for. I definitely recommend visiting if you have never been before. The best part of the tour was the tasting room, which once you enter you can't turn back so make sure you hit all the other tours first. The gift shop was surprisingly affordable too!

We had a good time. We went in May, during the week. There were a lot of kids... there might have been a few field trips? It was cool to see the history and all of the memorabilia. Love the international aspect. Be prepared to leave with a sugar high... the tasting room is fun and where you end your tour

Definitely we had a blast. We love Coke products so coming to this place was very entertaining. I love the mix of information, history, and interactions. You have 3d movie, but also a guided explanation about the recipe, you get to use your taste and your nose too, the scents section was very interesting to experience. Definitely my favorite part was to be able to taste flavors from around the world. Some were nice, some were pretty bad, others were quite unique. It was also great to mix my own version and then be able to taste it. My only 2 negative aspects were, on one hand, that during the vault section the guide was speaking but at the same time there were recordings on the background, so it was hard to understand because both sounds would interfere. The other aspect is the fact that I was expecting to be able to try the old-school way to serve coca cola, a place like the should have it, and I wouldn't have minded to pay extra just for that. Regardless, the price was cheap given all you can do, experience and learn, so I highly recommend this place.

We had an overall okay experience at the World of Coke. There are a lot of cool pieces of the company’s history, which is cool to see. I wasn’t a fan of how long it takes to actually enter the exhibit area. You have to go through a ~10 minute tour to look at all these older pieces. You’re then taken into a theater to watch a 6-minute film about Coke and happiness. Upon entering the museum, we were under the impression it would be self-guided, but the vault exhibit had a tour along with it too. The tasting section was pretty awesome, with five fountain stations containing ~8 flavors each.

A great way to learn the history of Coca-Cola. We had a 10am reservation. The area that is basically the hub for the exhibits is quite underwhelming. The theming and decor for the different exhibits were nice. I felt like we were rushed through the vault. Tasting the different drinks from around the world was fun. The staff was amazing! They were fun and energetic. This is definitely a must-see if you are in the area. A lot of memorabilia.

We enjoyed a fun time exploring all the different exhibits! The kids loved the tasting room and making their own designs. The smell lab was interesting. The staff were amazing and friendly. Bought as part of the City Pass

Wonderful experience. I enjoyed it quite a bit. A must for everyone visiting Atlanta.
Coke was born here and it has a rich history intertwined with the city.
I had to buy tickets online, it seems like there was no option to buy it on the spot. Otherwise for 20$ it was worth it.
There is a small introduction tour about Coca-Cola history before you are left to your own devices to explore the building.
As an option you can visit different sections that are dedicated for specific areas of Coca-Cola development or history.
I particularly liked the tasting area where you can try any drink imaginable from Coca-Cola brand or related brands.
After that you can explore the merchandise section and get something for yourself or add a gift
I was visiting early morning during a weekday so there was almost no line, but later that day it became a lot busier, so beware.

My family and I had a fantastic time on the visit, which we had planned in advance by purchasing tickets. They've done a great job maintaining the historical data and relevant information. The best thing, though, has to be the variety of drinks available worldwide. We tried a lot, but there were too many to sample. The store that sold goodies was also really beautiful; we bought a lot of stuff for my two-year-old kid. Overall, if you're ever in Atlanta, I'd advise you to try to visit this location.

Amazing place to visit. This is my second time coming to visit World Coca-Cola. I would suggest purchasing tickets online it just speeds the process up. 10am actually is a great time to go. By the time we came out of the gift shop to leave, the line was so long to get in.

This is a great place to take the kids. We all really enjoyed all the memorabilia. It took me way back. The kids had so much fun tasting beverages from around the world and making their own. It was actually still very affordable too!

The World of Coca-Cola is definitely one of those places that you have to visit once. It was smaller than I expected unfortunately, and there is not very much to do on the inside. Upon entering, you have to watch a very short film about Coca-Cola, and then you are allowed inside. Once inside, you can go inside the Coca-Cola vault and learn some of it's history. They also have an interactive scent room and best of all, the Coca-Cola tasting room. In the tasting room you can try different kinds of soft drinks from certain countries. You can tour the World of Coke at your own pace or book a guided tour experience. Overall, I recommend this place if you're in town and need an activity to do to pass some time. The employees are very nice and helpful, so that's a definite plus. Tip: although not necessary, book your tickets in advance for faster entry!
The Fox Theatre is located in Midtown Atlanta and has been used for performances of Broadway shows, concerts, and other events. It features ornate interiors with a Moorish theme, 3,600-pipe organ, and capacity of nearly 5,000 people.
I had my wedding at Fox Theatre and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I worked with Steve and Ashley who were my saving grace during my stressful planning. They made my planning a lot less stressful with their expertise and ensured that the operation ran smoothly with a large show happening at the same time as my wedding.
My guests were treated like VIP superstars from the police stopping traffic, to them walking the red carpet in their black tie attire. I feel like the team went above and beyond to make sure that my wedding day was special. I was happy to take photos in the theatre as well. I would recommend Fox Theatre as an event space to anyone and their staff.

We always really enjoyed coming to the Fox Theater. This time we came for the Broadway in Atlanta show Ain’t Too Proud; the Life and Times of the Temptations. The show was fantastic. The seats are a bit cramped and are not the most comfortable, but the shows the theater puts on make it worth it. The staff at the facility are always really nice and ever helpful whenever we come here. The facility looks good, and is kept clean.

We came to town to see the paw patrol tour so you can already assume that I had a child with me. Seats were great, theater was a bit chilly but we knew to plan for that! Restrooms were clean and plenty of staff to help with ALLLLLL the children! Loved this experience and will be back

I attended the Kurtis Blow Hip Hop Nutcracker with my group of girlfriends. The Fox Theater is an absolutely beautiful venue. We sat in the balcony, and we had a terrific view of the stage. A great time was had by all!

Great venue! Went to see Jo Koi the comedian and his show was awesome. They had several concession/bars available to beat long lines. The decor was absolutely beautiful. They do have elevator access for the handicapped and this facility was sparkling clean. This theater has a rich history and you can feel it in every room. They have a wide variety of performances here. From plays, comedians and concerts. You are sure to enjoy yourself.

This was my first time here, to see Blue Man Group. I took my 4 year old son. This venue is incredible. I absolutely love the aesthetic and the show was incredible! Every part of the venue was perfection and the staff was everywhere to help and clean up and soooooo friendly. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had, and my son loved it too! Can’t wait to return for more shows.

Visited the Fox theatre for a tour of the establishment! It was a great experience learning about how the theatre was built, the struggles it had to withstand over the past 94 yrs and how it has evolved to the mesmerizing place it is today. If you are in Atlanta, this is a must visit! Allen - our tour guide did a wonderful job of making the tour feel extra special. Hoping to catch a show here sometime :)

I have always wanted to visit the Fox Theater and am so glad to have finally made it there! The entire approach and entrance are absolutely beautiful. I felt like there was so much that needed to be seen before we enjoyed the show that brought us there. It really takes you back in time to imagine all the greats that performed in the theater. The theater which looked like the skies surrounding Alladin's Castle. Aside from the beauty of it all, the ushers were all very helpful and kind, and seemed glad to be there. If you ever get the opportunity to visit and take a look around - do it! You will not be disappointed.

They were well-organized for this event. You had to show your ID, and Vax card, then go through the medal detectors, then show your ticket. It went surprisingly fast. The vintage look of the theater is amazing. And the seats were very comfortable. I had 2nd row seating.

I went to the Fox Theatre to see Frozen. The show was amazing! I had I great time. The music was great and the view was pretty good. I sat in Row G seat 104. The theatre was clean and they had booster seats for young children. You can order drinks(alcoholic and non-alcoholic), snacks, and popcorn. I purchased a 20 oz bottle of Sprite for $5. Parking is $50 at the theatre but I found parking for $20 not too far from the theatre.

It is always a pleasure to watch a musical at The Fox. The building is absolutely beautiful. I've been coming here for years, and I still notice small details that I haven't noticed previously. The shows are incredible! Customer service is always excellent. Everyone that we interacted with either over the phone or in person (box office, parking, security, will call, ushers, etc.) is always very friendly and helpful.

Lovely theatre, very charming! I saw Hairspray here recently and was amazed at the sheer talent of the dancers/singers. There is not a bad seat in the house. No real food served so popcorn was our dinner (it's tasty) and I recommend the sparkling Moscato highly. Note snacks and drinks are cards only no cash accepted. Unless you are very wealthy avoid the $50 parking right next to theatre. There is much cheaper available if you do not mind a short walk. The immediate area seemed safe to us.

They call it the Fabulous Fox for a reason! After seeing many performances here, we decided to kick off the Halloween season with a ghost tour here. The walking tour was jammed packed with history and tales of reported ghostly sighting as we were led through the nooks and crannies of this gorgeous theater. MVP goes to the ghost of Roosevelt (10/7/23.)
One word of caution, avoid the Espresso Martini...it's terribly frightful.

The Fox Theatre feels like a part of my story, from seeing Wide Spread Panic, 10'000 Maniacs, Squeeze, Adam Ant, REM, Meat Loaf, John Cougar, INXS, Blues Traveler, Pearl Jam, Tommy Shaw and Styx and most recently the Broadway show Shrek it just feels like home. Architecturally, its like stepping into a sheik's palace and I love the balcony, where you can sit under the stars as they glisten above you.

An absolutely AMAZING venue! It’s absolutely stunning.
Every seat offers an excellent view and comfortable seats, leg room and space between people (I’m short and not too wide).
Bathrooms on each of the 3 levels.
2 levels of snacks/drinks.
Exit on each level directly to the street.
Plenty of street parking even when football games are happening at the stadium nearby for as little as $8 a 5 minute walk away. Other lots are $40-100.

Parking was not difficult. Used the red lot. Arrival was not a hassle. Walked easily to the front of the venue. Made our way through concessions and to our seats via an organized flow. The venue itself was very nice, and we enjoyed Hamilton!
D M — Google review
Saw Hamilton here this review. Have been here at least half a dozen times over 10 years. It is honestly hard to find a bad seat in the entire establishment. The scenery and decoration inside the theater as well as the concession area is top shelf and absolutely beautiful.
Do you go down to the bathroom area after you enter to find concession stands that are empty with no lines!
Parking is always terrible here so be prepared to pay $10-$30 for a spot depending on how close. Highly recommended for in town and out of town. The show was amazing would definitely come back.
Shawn Toole — Google review
Must go to place. The theater is amazing. Hamilton is playing here and what can I say. Amazing performance great seating. Now I recommend sitting in the middle area. Picture is from my seat which again sit in the middle when booking. I will not add anymore photos to ruin the experience. Planning the next show to see. Handicap seating is really available but the ushers and the staff of the theater are there to help. It is downtown area of Atlanta so cost on everything is much higher.

We love Myra!! We were welcomed by Marcellus as soon as we arrived, he’s super friendly and welcoming and made us feel we were no strangers. We signed up online for the 10 AM architecture tour and it was the best tour I’ve ever attended. We had a very luxury small tour group of 6, my husband and I, and another lovely family of 4. We are blessed with Myra as our tour guide, and her love for the Fox Theatre passed to us thru her enthusiastic introduction. Our tour supposed to end around 1 hour, but we could never get enough stories from Myra and she literally knows everything about the Fox Theatre. I love her “Ghost Tour” stories and didn’t get to share mine with her (I think that’s too personal and just waste everyone’s time). But I would like to add it here if she’d see it someday - I experienced once that my digital device was abruptly shut off when I was feeling something went wrong and called somebody for help. So when she talked about everything was shut off for no reason, I couldn’t relate more and believed every word she said about her experience.
We love you Myra. You made us home even we were just here for the tour. I’m so glad I insisted to bring my husband here with me, I missed my chance to visit the Fox Theatre due to the pandemic in 2021, but here we are. Hopefully we’ll be able to visit again in the future and watch a show here next time. God bless beautiful people like Myra and Marcellus. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

First time at the Fox! Took the wife to see The Nutcracker and the performance was amazing! The dancers were great, the story was pretty easy to follow considering it was ballet, and the sets were absolutely beautiful. The inside of the theater is amazing and one of a kind experience. It's $50 parking at the door but it makes it easy to get out so I do recommend it even though you feel a little jipped initially 😂. Lives up to its reputation!

Wonderful experience during a comedy show. Very nice staff and it was easy to navigate through, even on a really busy night. They serve drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic) and popcorn. I didn’t see other foods but I also didn’t wait in line. The building was clean and they have a smoking area. The surround sound and TV screens were working well and we heard/saw the comedian very clearly. We prepaid parking and it was pretty simple to get to and from our parking space at the venue.
The Georgia Aquarium is one of the world's largest aquariums and is perfect for both adults and children. It offers an educational experience while also allowing visitors to see fascinating marine life. The attraction often hosts special events such as Sips Under the Sea which sells out quickly.
We took a 2 day trip here. You could see everything in 1 day without any issue, but we took our time and wanted to see things more than once. There are extra experiences to do, but they do cost extra. The extra experiences are definitely worth doing if you have the extra money, but you won't feel like you miss out on anything if you don't. There is a cafeteria there, it's a little pricey and the food is alright. Every exhibit there is absolutely amazing. Everything looks natural and not like a standard fish tank. Even during busy times, there is plenty of room to see everything. Some of the bigger displays have places to sit and relax while you watch the animals. The shows they have are a lot of fun and definitely worth seeing too. The staff there were all very knowledgeable and open to whatever questions we had. We spent a lot of extra time watching the sharks and the whale shark exhibits.

Beautiful place to visit. I liked the tunnel where people walk and you can see all the fish, sharks, whales and other creatures swimming next to and above you, it’s amazing!!! But if you really want to enjoy the visit to this aquarium, you must buy tickets to see the different shows they offer. Without seeing the shows, the visit won’t be worthy. They always take a picture of you right before the entrance so be ready with a nice outfit so you will look good on the photo that will become one of your best memories!!! Highly recommended!!

It was very well worth the visit! Huge! Lots to see. If you like reading the information as you tour the area, it'll take some time. We spent 5 hours here and saw all the exhibits and shows that are included in the ticket price. We also had lunch in their cafeteria style dining area, Cafe Aquaria, and did some shopping in one of the gift stores. They have hand sanitizing stations, clean bathrooms, all accessible areas, plenty of photo opportunities, and extra activities you can experience for an additional fee. You will do a lot of walking and standing, so wear comfortable shoes! It's easy to purchase tickets online. June 2023

Excellent aquarium! We went on a Sunday afternoon in the summer so it was quite crowded, but manageable! We just took our time and were able to see all the exhibits! If you want to see the shows, you have to make a (free) reservation once you get there. We opted to skip the shows to give us more time at the exhibits. Each section is very well done and you get to see so many beautiful creatures up close! Favorites were the shark exhibit, the whale shark, manta rays, sea turtle, penguins, beluga whales, otters and dolphins! My kids absolutely loved it! Food is overpriced and nothing special but we went in between lunch and dinner so we could get by with just a few snacks. Also, there is a small nursing pod for breastfeeding up on the second floor by the food that was very convenient! As with many attractions like this, you exit through the gift shop so be prepared! Overall it was an expensive day (buy tickets in advance to save$5) but worth it for the experience for our family!

I had a wonderful time visiting this aquarium. It is a well-designed and well-maintained facility with a wide variety of marine life to see. The exhibits are well-organized and easy to navigate, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
One of the things I appreciated most about this aquarium is that it is easy to get around. There is a clear central hub from which all of the exhibits radiate, making it easy to find your way back to the beginning if you get lost. The aquarium is also wheelchair accessible, which is a great plus.
I also enjoyed the two main shows, the seal show and the dolphin show. Both shows were well-produced and informative, and the animals seemed to be well-cared for. I appreciated that there was also the option to make a free reservation for the shows, as this helped to ensure that everyone had a chance to see them.
In addition to the exhibits and shows, the aquarium also offers behind-the-scenes experiences and educational programs. I did not have the opportunity to participate in any of these, but I was impressed by the variety of options available.
Overall, I highly recommend this aquarium to anyone interested in marine life. It is a great place to learn about and appreciate the diversity of the underwater world.

The Georgia Aquarium is a breathtaking aquatic wonderland that left me in awe during my recent visit. From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the sheer diversity and beauty of marine life on display.
The highlight of the aquarium has to be the massive Ocean Voyager exhibit, featuring the awe-inspiring whale sharks, manta rays, and a mesmerizing array of colorful fish. The enormous viewing window allows you to feel like you're underwater with these gentle giants, making it an unforgettable experience.
Aside from the Ocean Voyager, there are numerous other exhibits showcasing a wide range of aquatic species, from playful sea otters to graceful beluga whales. The interactive touch pools were a hit with visitors of all ages, offering a hands-on learning experience.
What impressed me most was the aquarium's commitment to conservation and education. They provide informative presentations and exhibits that highlight the importance of protecting our oceans and the creatures that inhabit them.
The only downside I encountered was the crowds, especially during weekends and holidays, which can make it challenging to move around and fully appreciate the exhibits. I recommend visiting during off-peak hours if possible to have a more relaxed experience.

This aquarium is absolutely incredible! It is so well planned out & we didn’t feel overwhelmed once. I love that everything let back to the center of the aquarium so you never got lost. The food was expensive but surprisingly the best we’ve had in Atlanta so far. The dolphin show was a great length & had some really cool spins/jumps with the trainers. Gift shop had awesome but pretty expensive stuff. We love that they had a scuba mermaid, something for our daughter too. So many cool interactive things with the animals for our kids to enjoy. Highly recommend!!

It’s expensive!! From admission to food inside. Free on your birthday dasssit!! Overall it’s a great time. This was our second time going and we always have a great time. We love the dolphin shows the aquarium is huge, exciting and beautifully built. It was accessible for my physically disabled mother. They have wheelchairs for free just give them your license. I appreciate that accommodation. Although the food is expensive it is a full eatery with tasty options. We will definitely go back. I don’t know if we would buy a yearly family membership, we may not go that often for it to be worth it. I can see why others would if they would go more than two times in a year.

Will be coming back! I'm so impressed with the size of this aquarium, it was very easy to walk through, all sections set up easy to navigate. The dolphin show was great. The whale sharks were so impressive. I saw some people doing the shark dive, it looked like so much fun. Plenty of seating in the different exhibits, we sat and watched the fish and the sharks for quite a while. The gift shop had a lot of items to pick from.

Such an amazing experience! I took my four year old and my eight year old and they had so much fun! It is educational and breathtaking! We saw the dolphin show as well as the sea lion show. The museum experience was great. It was crowded but the entering the aquarium didn’t take long. The place is large and divided in sections which you can visit based on your preference. Their dolphin show was great. If you want to sit in the splash section you need to plan ahead. You can easily spend half a day here. I would recommend this for families with kids who enjoy seeing sea life. The jelly fish were beautiful and the sharks were amazing.

I love the Aquarium! I have visited several times and enjoyed each time. It’s amazing and educational. It is great for kids or even a fun date. If visiting on a holiday be there early. The dolphin show is awesome but fills up quickly. Get your tickets as soon as you get in. The handicap chairs are first come first serve. It’s in a great area and there is tons of places to eat around the aquarium.

We had a great day at the aquarium. It was very clean, decorated for the holidays, and there was a lot to see. The dolphin show was amazing. The sea lion show could have been better. There is only a virtual map but it’s easy to flow from one location to another. Our stroller was a jogging stroller but it fit within their box so it was allowed inside. Check your stroller against their guidelines. You have to reserve a time for the shows, but I was able to sign up for a different time later in order to move our slot up. We got there before 9 and left around 11:30. Very clean tanks and lots of viewing areas. We went on a Saturday and it started to get very crowded as the day went on. Recommended to get there at open. The plaza outside had a nice holiday set up from the Coca-Cola brand.

The best aquarium we have been to in the United States! Not your typical aquarium at all. Big fish and sharks and rays. Lots to see and shows that are included. Get there about 30 minutes early for shows to get a good seat. Dolphin show is better than the seal on for sure, but both are included, just make a reservation.

Definitely the best aquarium that I've ever experienced. You can easily spend a whole day in here and come back multiple times. The dolphin show was incredible. I love the beluga whales presentation. There's so many cool animals and things to see in here. The gift shop is really great. There are also multiple places to take pictures. The food and the food court was okay. I would recommend ordering ahead because the lines get crazy. Would definitely recommend and return here.

We had an absolutely amazing time when we visited last month, if this is on your itinerary at least budget 4 hours to fully enjoy all the exhibits, activities, and shows the aquarium has to offer. Definitely highly recommend coming as close as you can to opening so you can enjoy the mostly empty aquarium. The staff are all so informative and love to chat. When we come back we are looking forward to a behind the scenes tour.

It's a great aquarium but some exhibits were empty and I didn't get to experience the 'extras' 3D and dolphin shows specifically. They do have cool pop-in holes where you can take pictures and it looks like your in there with the animals. The location is great! It's across the street from Olympic Park and walking distance to several other must see attractions. There is food available inside and they take a pic of you entering and you can buy it if you'd like. Great for the kids and couples!!!

What an amazing experience. I came from Florida to go to this aquarium. They have beautiful exhibits and the animals who look happy and are swimming without a worry. I recommend eating before or bringing food because the food is very average especially for the $. The main attraction is the whale shark and I could sit and watch that exhibit for an hour. I highly recommend signing up for the shows they have going on (dolphin and sea lion). 100% worth it. We spent about 5-6 hours in the aquarium. They take a picture at the entrance which they put a backdrop on it and a live background. If you’re hesitant on going, there’s so much to see. I will definitely be back when I’m in Georgia.

First time visiting. Had a wonderful time. From the check-in to leaving the staff made, my family and I feel very welcomed. They were professional and helpful. I enjoyed learning more about fish. The only downfall was that I didn't see turtles, we couldn't take pictures behind the whale jaw, and the dolphin show was short. Great place for the entire family!

Enjoying going to the aquarium. It's nice and clean. The crowd was pretty intense. Please be patient and don't rush. I promise you will get into the show that you made reservations for. It felt as if I was going to be trampled going into the dolphin show. Other than that it was spectacular. The outside grounds were very clean as well. Just slow down and enjoy the Aquarium!!!!!

Superb experience, spent nearly 4hrs here, we thought we would go for maybe a couple of hours but time went so quick. Just fascinating to sees many different species through the many huge viewing tanks. Sealion and Dolphin show were great too. Didn't use the canteen but food was available here if you need a break and a sit down. Gift shop have good variety of gifts, difficult not to leave with at least one cuddly toy

Always wonderful! Worth every penny! Best aquarium I have ever seen in the US. Go and take the kids and plan to stay for 3-4 hours at least. Definitely buy tickets a day or two in advance or even several more if it’s a holiday weekend. It’s timed entry. Can be busy and hard to get in if you wait to last minute on a weekend.

This aquarium was a great experience. I came here on a Tuesday morning . It was not crowded at all . I do recommend buying tickets in advance . I got a discount through my job . If you are active or retired military personnel you are eligible for a discount as well. The aquarium is broken up into different sections . It took around 2-3 hours to cover the whole aquarium. They are shows as well other interaction things to do here .The staff were very knowledgeable which I loved and the facility is kept is great condition. I truly had a great time .

Best aquarium I've ever been to, it's a must visit location! I highly recommend! I will definitely be visiting again. There is no way to describe how truly incredible it is to be face to face with whale sharks and belugas. They also have a Tiger shark! Amazing experience!

This is an experience you absolutely need to have! There is so much to see, you will spend hours here. Very organized and easy to navigate though the aquarium and the different types of sea life. Had the opportunity to watch a Sea Lion show and a Dolphin show all in one day! Concession was well organized and easy to navigate even in large crowds. Would highly suggest getting there early to experience great views of aqua life as the aquarium definitely picks up spectators as the day goes on.

My recent visit to the Georgia Aquarium left much to be desired, warranting a three-star rating. While the facility boasts an impressive array of marine life, including some rare species, the overall experience was dampened by several factors.
First and foremost, the check-in process was marred by the rude and unwelcoming behavior of the staff. Instead of offering a warm greeting, some check-in personnel were observed screaming at guests, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere right from the start. Such behavior is entirely unacceptable and detracts significantly from the overall visitor experience.
Furthermore, despite the aquarium's reputation, the actual exhibits felt rather average. While there were certainly some highlights, including a variety of marine life and educational displays, there simply weren't enough fish to captivate visitors for an extended period. This lack of diversity and quantity in the exhibits left something to be desired, especially considering the high expectations associated with a renowned aquarium like Georgia's.
However, the one shining aspect of my visit was the dolphin show. The spectacular performance by these intelligent creatures managed to salvage an otherwise lackluster experience. The show provided an engaging and entertaining display of their agility and intelligence, leaving a lasting impression on visitors.
In summary, while the Georgia Aquarium offers glimpses of the wonders of the underwater world, its potential is undermined by the discourteous behavior of some staff members and the underwhelming variety of marine life on display. Visitors may find it worthwhile to explore other aquariums in the area for a more fulfilling experience, though the dolphin show remains a highlight not to be missed.

This was our first time visiting and I am so glad we made the trip. This aquarium has the best layout. We visited on Easter Sunday and it was very busy, but there is so much to see and several viewing areas for the same exhibit. I wish we would've had more time to spend there, but I guess that means I'll have to go back. I highly recommend the dolphin show.

Great experiences! Sign up for shows at arrival. We started first thing and that was too busy with all the field trips. Ended up coming back later in the afternoon, which was much better. The shows were informative and fun. We could have watched the tanks all the day. We bought the tickets in advance as part of the city pass.

This was by far the best aquarium I’ve ever been to! We had a blast. Well worth the price!
We spent 5 hours completing the Aquarium and watching the shows that were included.
The theater is actually the animals preforming not a tv screen. Highly recommend especially if you have kids! They will be busy for hours.

This place is absolutely freaking 👏 amazing! It's 1000% worth the visit...here's my advise.. If you can avoid the weekends do so it's insanely busy and harder to enjoy everything and take it all in...another thing I wished would have been better communicated is that in their parking garage they give you a ticket but they don't tell you nor is there any signage or any indicators that you must PREPAY parking ...again would have been helpful! Would like to have more time next time so we could have taken in some of the extras they offer!

This is one of the best aquariums in the world. The exhibits are exceptional and you can tell the animals are well cared for. Parking is usually pretty easy, unless it's a really busy day (or time of year). I personally would try to go earlier in the week during work hours to limit the number of people there. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about each of the exhibits. The whale sharks are impressive!
Christian P — Google review
Very crowded on a Friday afternoon. Make sure you book your show reservation the morning of your visit. (Purchase tickets in advance online. Even if your arrival time is later, the shows will be full if you don't.)
The food in the cafe is not good. Almost inedible. My chicken sandwich had black/grey gelatinous gristle in it. The cheese pizza was burnt. Fries were soggy. On the plus side, there was a gal wiping tables and sweeping the floor-that was appreciated.
Bathrooms were clean and not packed.
The tanks seemed pretty small for whale sharks (two!) and upon further reading, they were not rescued. They were captured from the wild. 🥺
🐬🚨 BEWARE: The splash zone (front 10 rows) of the dolphin show truly mean YOU WILL GET SOAKED. Not just splashed. It was hard to enjoy the rest of the show because we were so shocked.
No security. I had a backpack and when I asked if they wanted to check it, they told me, "no, inside." When I went inside they scanned my ticket codes but no one checked my bag.
Overall, it is a neat place. With a 4 & 8 year old I appreciated the brief informational blurbs at each exhibit-it felt doable without being overwhelming.
Had we packed a lunch, dry clothes, and less of a crowd, it would have been a better experience. For the extreme cost, we would not likely visit again.

It's been quite a while, but none the less it did not disappoint. We were able to tour all the exhibits, watch the dolphin and sea lion show in 2 hours. Of course you can take as much time as you like. There's also a restaurant for lunch.

It features prominent exhibitions spanning 30 acres of lush gardens with unique and awe-inspiring flora and fauna. Nearby Piedmont Park provides easy access for residents and visitors to enjoy the botanical gardens stunning scenery and tranquil environment.
Actually a pleasantly nice botanical garden. The sculptures of origami were starting to go up for the official display in summer 2022 and they looked fun. During the week when I went, the grounds were well kept and taken care of. It wasn't too crowded. There was lots of construction going on, but it was hidden pretty well and the parts that were open were maintained nicely. The flowering plants were on full display while the bushes were neatly trimmed.
The Cafe had standard sandwiches and burgers which were tasty. Good cheese board and appetizers.

The husband and I went tonight and it was absolutely amazing, we loved everything about it! Even tho the temperature was low and they didn't allow my outside coffee into the garden, we still had a fabulous time! There are clean bathrooms throughout the entire garden, plenty of place to sit and simply enjoy the scenery, tonight there was a strings band playing live beautiful music, there were lights everywhere once it got dark enough, even the other guess were so very sweet to us!! We will definitely be back whenever we come back to the area for work! The water at the goddess wasn't on which was unfortunate but it was still extremely beautiful! We recommend this beautiful garden for anyone wanting a stroll through nature, date night for any couple, an outing for the kids! There was a bride and groom there tonight taking pictures because it is that beautiful!! Enjoy!

Easy walking! Very friendly staff! Restaurant was kinda slow in serving, but the food was excellent! I bought a membership because it's cheaper if you are going to return a few more times throughout the year! Can't wait to return!

We really enjoyed our time here. You could easily spend an entire day here with your family. We spent half a day and saw everything. It's well organized and easy to navigate. There was not a long wait, we bought tickets when we arrived. The only delay was that people didnt know what they wanted for tickets...i guess? Buy tickets in advance to avoid that. There are food and drink options on site. The restaurant prefers a reservation.

I went there twice in the fall of 2023. Once for the Fall pumpkin show and then for the members only Christmas lights. I never tire of going to this place! Botanicals are beautiful anytime of year. Christmas light display was exceptional. Love the bars that were installed around the gardens for hot chocolate or libations! Music is piped in around the gardens and makes it very special. Truly an Enchanted Evening and a perfect place to start off the holidays!

An outstanding outdoor and indoor environment. A few hours can be spent walking all of the trails and taking in all of the scenery and plants that are thoughtfully organized both outdoors and indoors. A lot of time and attention has gone into creating this wonderful space. Timed ticket entry helps keep the experience calm, not rushed, and not crowded. There are not a huge number of extra parking spaces, so plan some time to find a space and walk to the entrance. There are many bathrooms throughout the grounds. Overall a wonderful experience.

We went to the garden to see a new art installation by artists we met at our B&B. We were so impressed with this garden. Tickets for two adults run $50, but you can get a membership for $105. The membership gets you access to 345 other gardens across the country in addition to discounts in the gift shop, restaurant, and a few other perks. Definitely worth it!
We walked through for 90 minutes and didn't see everything thoroughly. We could definitely stay much longer if we sit, relax, meditate, etc.
I appreciate their investment in art. This display, Origami in the Garden, will be there for 6 months (starting May 2022). The artists are from Santa Fe and are a fabulous couple.
I will always stop by the garden now when traveling to Atlanta. It is inside of Piedmont Park in midtown and the surrounding area is great and very walkable.

We came on a Saturday (yesterday) and arrived as they were opening. The atmosphere from the grand lobby to the garden grounds is very impressive. I enjoyed the walk between gardens and exhibits. This time of year the air is crisp but perfect for the walk through. I especially loved the Orchid Daze exhibition. The flowers and leaves are SO exquisite. I was left speechless and took a moment to sit on one of the many benches to just take it all in. I highly recommend for any nature lovers. I would definitely go again especially closer to spring when more flowers are in bloom.

Very beautiful park but we couldn’t really follow the map. It didn’t seem to match up with the posted signs around the garden. So we ended up circling the same areas a few times and didn’t realize we almost missed an entire other section. Glad we found it! It would have been nice to see better descriptions and maybe some audios too. I’d definitely go back! And bring a water bottle if you visit during the summer. It’s hot!

We had so much fun looking at all of the exhibits. We even got to sit in on a cooking demo and got a free sample which was delicious. Everyone that works here is just so nice. This is my 2nd visit and I'm sure there will be more in the future. Make sure you wear sunscreen and bring some water because it gets HOT in the summer ☀️

This place was hands down one of the most beautiful gardens I've ever been to! Plenty to see and learn about here. They don't have as many plant name posts by the plants as other gardens I have been to but it is not my first rodeo. I used Google lens to identify the ones that didn't have tags. The Earth Goddess living statue was absolutely beautiful - even without blooms!!! I highly recommend buying your tickets online and coming in earlier than noon to get a nice stroll in before the heavy crowds come in.

We went for the holiday lights at night. It was cool and different but not breathtaking. There are good photo ops, but lots of people will be in your shots. I prefer the old drive through the cool neighborhood with Christmas lights myself. It is okay, but after seeing Singapore's botanical garden and its lights at night, it's going to take more to wow me.

Absolutely beautiful. We just went March 13th and while not everything was flowering and displays such as Mother Earth didn’t have their flowers in…it was still absolutely beautiful. It’s a nice place to walk with plenty of places to stop and rest. Loved all the restrooms and water stations along the routes. Our little one loved the children’s area. I am sure it is even better in May/June. Highly recommend.

This was an amazing lights display. There were lots of people, but it was great being able to just walk through at your leisure and enjoy the displays without having to worry about cars or holding people back.
The best area, in our opinion, was the music and light sync up were the strands of lights were individual synced to the music. Each light was individually synced up. It was amazing.
For those that missed it this year or if you made it and decide to go back next year something I would recommend, if you’re able, is avoid the on site parking. Look for a parking deck nearby and park there then walk to the gardens. We walked past the line of cars waiting to get in. So much easier.

Fantastic place to go with family. Beautiful flowers, art and nature. Serene and peaceful location to spend an entire day. The Long leaf restaurant in the Botanical Gardens is a fine place to relax and have a decent meal. Small outdoor outlets through out to have snacks or a packaged lunch, chilled drinks, or king of pops popsicles and other options. Edible garden has a variety of veggies and the grower arrangements are educational to gardening enthusiasts. Loved spending time here.

We came to this place as part of our first visit to Atlanta and I have to say this may be my favorite place out of everywhere we visited. We were left speechless by the perfection of la landscapes and the beauty they have accomplished with all the areas of this garden. It truly felt like we were in a magical forest straight out of a fantasy novel. I absolutely adored the attention to detail in every corner and the cohesion there was between the different parta of the area. I highly recommend checking this place out and will surely be coming back any time I’m in town!

Breathtaking is the best way to describe this botanical garden. There is so much to explore and they even offer free, guided tours. Some of the people in my group participated in the tour, guided by Barb, and it was fantastic! Barb was amazing at what she does and has a true passion for carnivorous plants!
I could spend all day here; it is truly worth the price for tickets if you take your time and really appreciate each exhibit for what it is.
There is so much to see and enjoy!! I will be coming back for sure.

What an amazing place! I took a road trip to see the garden for the first time. I bought tickets for the daytime as well as for the holiday light show. I arrived around 2:00 and left at 5:00, than returned at 8:00. One thing to keep in mind is that there will be a wait for the light show. I waited in traffic for about 30 minutes and once I get there I waited about another 30 minutes in line. Even with the wait, it was well worth the trip. The light show is fantastic especially the canopy walk. This was also my favorite during the day.

Amazing experience for a quick day trip to Atlanta. Stopped by in the afternoon and was treated to a delightful stroll through the gardens. And the time they had the special orchard exhibit which was very fascinating to see. In general, there's not a single place in the entire complex that's not worth seeing, and I think within an hour or two. The entire place is definitely explorable.

The Flower Show is minimal, not quite a large exhibit. However, It’s a beautiful facility even when the trees and landscape are without the lavish flowers. I can’t wait until May when all the floral attractions are in full bloom, such as the Alice in Wonderful floral exhibits and the lady with hair made of flowers. The indoor garden was similar to being in a forest and you can feel the humidity and mist, it was almost the same sensation as being in a forest. The paths were clean and definitely provided a natural and botanical experience. There are lights at night that will light the paths. I think it is a beautiful place to propose or have a romantic date, especially in the event on a path with the hanging twinkle lights. With all this being said, it would be more exciting when the flowers and colors of the various gardens are in full bloom.

Mesmerizing. Always evolving.
My family are big fans of botanical gardens. We're always stopping to see them wherever we travel. The botanical gardens here are complex, well designed and always evolving. We go here several times a year and the holiday lights have become a family tradition.
First, the holiday lights have a number of extraordinary features. The exhibit shifts every year and this year is no exception. For the last couple of years, there is more of an orderly trail through the exhibit, instead of just wandering around. This year, they have closed the section by the fireplace, but don't worry, the Christmas praying mantis is over by the base of the catwalk.
People gather on the catwalk to stand among the musical streamer lights, which are mesmerizing. It's worth the price of entry just to stand out there for a while. There are lots of other great pieces, like the musical orbs on the Great lawn and the model train section.
It's usually crowded, I'd recommend going at dusk when it's a little warmer and the crowds are a little smaller. Even with a reserved time, it was a bit of a line to get in and the walkways were less free to navigate. There were no last minute tickets to get in, so look to get your tickets online in advance.

SO MUCH FUN! I went with a friend last weekend and had such a good time. Seeing Christmas lights is one of my favorite traditions, and this display did not disappoint. You could purchase drinks like hot chocolate or spirits upon entering. There were many opportunities for photos, extremely thought out displays, and a variety of different themed lights (insects, trains trees etc.). One of my favorite sections was the music timed lights in the trees. We spent about an hour and a half walking the grounds and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Would 10/10 go back!

A must visit for any visitors to Atlanta! The garden is worth the price of admission, and has some of the finest collections of plants for any botanical garden. Its layout encourages lazy walkabouts, and meandering explorations.

We wish we were closer to this gem.

We love Avalon, you can’t really go wrong here. Kids love playing here on a nice summers day and they have many different events throughout the year. Good options of stores and restaurants. Only downer is some people in the stores - can be racist and look down on ‘brown’ people, until they hear me speak and realise I’m British. Then it all changes, which is so wrong.

Great place to come and enjoy the shops and hangout with friends and family.
BUT think again if you want to come in the evening on the weekends.
Unless you enjoy getting your ear drums blown out your head from the trunks and cars these young kids pop in the parking deck and out in the main center.
It’s not funny. It’s dangerous, obnoxious and annoying.
I called the security here because one of these guys thought it was going to be funny to speed in the parking deck next to the pottery barn and purposefully sped up when they saw me speed walking to the car.
What did security do? Absolutely NOTHING. All the gentleman said was they’re aware of the issue but there’s nothing they can do.
Hopefully they don’t get hit with a lawsuit cause they can’t do “anything” when someone actually gets hurt.

Along with shopping, the mall also offers a wide variety of dining options, including a play area for kids and ice skating in the winter, bars, grill restaurants, and even a Regal movie theater with 12 screens. The mall is beautifully designed with modern architecture and plenty of natural light. The atmosphere is lively, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Overall, I had a beautiful experience visiting the Alvon shopping mall and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun day out with a great variety of options for shopping, dining, and entertainment

The Ameris Bank Amphitheatre is an outdoor venue that can seat up to 12,000 people with a pavilion and lawn seating. It hosts famous acts and events. The lawn section provides ample space for visitors to bring their own chairs (excluding tall chairs) to sit on the hill in the center with a fantastic view of the show. Ordering food and drinks from Ticketmaster app is easy, without waiting in lines. Excellent sound quality and beautiful lighting make it a great concert experience.
I've been to a lot of concerts in the greater Atlanta area. But this is my first time at this venue. Parking was a little confusing at first. Mainly because I wasn't paying attention to the signs they had in several places directing you to various parking locations. My parking pass was included with the purchase of my ticket. I don't think I've ever had better general parking than I did here. It literally took me less than 10 minutes to walk from car to entrance of venue. The layout inside was easy to navigate. And the sound stage was awesome. I will be going back 100%. Ameris Bank Amphitheater only got 5 stars because more wasn't an option.

Sat in the lawn section and had plenty of room to choose from. We brought our own chairs (make sure they are not tall chairs) and sat on the hill dead center with a great view of the show. You can order all your food and drinks from the ticket master app and pick up without waiting in lines!
Sound was great and lights gave a great night show.

Great venue - lots of pluses and a few minuses.
Went to The Chicks concert last night and had a great time. We were in the pit (row BBB) which are the best seats I’ve ever had. The sound was great and the venue is well laid out. Traffic getting in was heavy but at least moving. I think the prices for concessions weren’t crazy which was nice as well.
On the negative side - getting out of parking lot was a dumpster fire. It’s like all the people directing traffic called it an early night and pandemonium ensued. Our row sat for nearly 30 minutes and never moved. Although we were in the covered section, once the concert started it got super hot very quickly because of how close the seats are pack and virtually no airflow.

This concert was our first time there. We will definitely go back! The staff is very courteous and helpful. Sitting on the outside of section 101 had good pointers. Great for catching the breeze! Not so great for the distraction on the outside walkway, and everyone seated in the same row going in and out.
Overall, it was still a great concert!

Great concert, very good venue. Confusing on the parking but once you get in, it all grand!
Like all Amphitheaters it's outdoors. Covered for the most part but it can cool down quickly at night so bring a layer to put on if needed!

While the name has changed over time the venue remains outstanding. Every seat offers not only a great view but some amazing acoustics as well. A seat on the lawn is also a great option to take in some live music. Plenty of food and drink options round out an amazing experience.

We had the best time at the Jelly Roll concert. Ameris kept us in the loop on all details about our visit. We know what items were and were not allowed. We had our mobile tickets saved, ready to go. All staff there were very friendly & helpful. We parked in Lot B deck. Very close to the amphitheater. The sound, lights, everything was perfect! We had the best time. The way it’s set up, even the folks on the lawn have a great view of the stage since it’s a lifted area. Seats aren’t real comfortable, but you’re standing a lot anyway. There is a little more room to walk the isles than most places we’ve visited. If you have to get up to leave your seat, you’re not having to making everyone stand up. That’s nice. Great experience! I couldn’t believe how fast we flew thru the line to get in. It was really long, but moved very fast. Great procedures they have along with security & staff. Excellent venue!

This was an extremely cool venue for the Arctic Monkeys to play at! The way that the hill is built into the amphitheater is amazing and the surrounding vendors and area is also great. Beautiful location and amazing show!

Easily my favorite venue in the metro Atlanta area. The snacks are reasonably priced, the staff is friendly, and the breeze coming down the hill is lovely. We sat in the ADA section and had an excellent view.

We have seen SO many great bands here! Love this venue as we don't have to go downtown. The venue does a great job getting people in and out quickly. Exiting the parking lots can take some time but that's to be expected with the mass exodus that happens at the same time.

A bit hectic, but manageable. Parking can be challenging if your attention is not fully devoted. The facility was clean, well staffed and overall a good time. Covered seating was a treat with spacious aisles staggered rows and leg room for days considering what they used to be lol. Will definitely be seeing another show at Ameris Bank Amphitheater in the future and recommend anyone interested to give them a try.

On August 1st, we went to see Jinjer, Breaking Benjamin, and Disturbed. We had an amazing time! One word of advice, with VIP tickets, if they say fast pass is at a certain time, don't arrive earlier. If you do, you will have to stand and wait until the fast pass time to enter. We didn't know, so where we had to stand in line was hot and directly in the sun. Once we entered, our experience was top-notch. The food was delicious, and the mixed drinks were sublime. They also have a soda souvenir cup that you get free refills for. When it came time for the performances, all three artists were amazing. We didn't sit down the entire show. There was so much energy and hype from the bands, that it truly was an unforgettable experience. We will definitely attend another show here.

Saw Jelly Roll in concert. It was the best concert I have ever attended. Make sure you look at the restrictions on the website you go!! They wouldn't let our chairs in because they said there too tall. We rented the last four chairs at $4.00 apiece. Will definitely go again though, with the right size chairs lol!

We enjoyed this venue. Parking was $25 even though we had purchased over $300 in tickets that should have come with parking passes. They purposely do not forward the passes on a resale
Audio was lousy and muffled for some remarkably clear vocalists. You are going to this location for the show part. If you want to hear some vocals, try the tabernacle, fox or Roxy.

One of the best places by far I have ever been to watch a concert!! The staff is amazing and courteous and the place is wonderfully kept up. I can’t say enough about how impressed I have been for the last 5 concerts here!! Highly recommend seeing shows here! Have more booked in the upcoming months. Other venues should take lessons from Ameris and take some notes on how you run your facility!! AAA+++++.. Keep up the great work!!

I’ve been here a few times in the past couple years. I’ve always had a good time. I saw Breaking Benjamin before and it was amazing! But tonight was great! Every song I listened to in high school they played. I got to see bands I’ve listened to for almost 20 years including Breaking Benjamin. It was AMAZING! I did NOT want to move. This was the best feeling ever and I’m so glad I came tonight!

Great venue, EXTREMELY cramped seating. Sound mix is consistently good. Venue is kept clean and has good staff. Parking in lot A is closer than some places I've been even without paying for it. The seating is TERRIBLE. I'm an average size guy, maybe even on the small side, and I was pressed against the guy next to me, even when we were standing. God forbid the person next to you is larger or drunk or both. If leave at that point because it would ruin the event. At it is I avoid it unless it's the only place to see the band in the next couple of years.

A 963-acre park known for Indian Seats rock formation, with hiking trails & a visitor center.
This trail stands out as one of the most accessible options. With multiple trailheads, you can experience a fresh perspective each time you explore it. It's also suitable for trail running. What I appreciate is the flexibility to create your own unique route, adjusting the grade, type, and distance according to your preferences. You have the freedom to customize your experience whether you opt for a 2, 4, 6, or 9-mile trail. I particularly enjoy the 4-mile Indian Seat side loop and the 6-mile combination of the west side 2-miler and the 4-mile Indian Seat. It has been my preferred trail for years.

Beautiful place for a moderate hike to the Indian Seats on top. Lot of parking there with a visitor center. There are two other parking areas about a mile away, be careful about your parking place and the direction while coming back to your parking. Great views all around the top. There is plenty to keep kids busy like the huge treehouse, the turtles, and things in the visitor center. There are long and short trails, and are well maintained, with wonderful views. There are restrooms, some of them are not open on Sundays.

Just beautiful. Thick lush greenery, great walking trails that aren't too difficult to walk, bathrooms were clean and maintained and the awesome view as the payoff for your effort. Definitely off the beaten path for those who love closer to the city but worth it if you are looking for an awesome nature expereince.

This is an excellent nature park to visit. It has some great outdoor architecture with the picnic tables, followed by the deck and the gazebo facing the the creek.
Their is a activity/guest center right up front. There's a creative FAIR TALE trail with beautiful little homes create most likely by younger kids (please forgive me if it was done by the staff)...
Very relaxing, and if you just need some YOU time, this is the perfect place....

If you're up for a moderate hike with some seriously gorgeous views, this is your spot. They've got different trails to the top – whether you're in the mood for a quick jaunt or a bit more of an adventure. The trails are wonderful, making it a great spot for a hike. Especially if you're just starting out or looking for a shorter weekend adventure. My wife and I tackled the Indian seats and mountain side trails, and we absolutely enjoyed the experience. We're definitely planning a return trip – consider this hike highly recommended!

Beautiful and fun park for all ages! Two colored pavilions with a lot of picnic tables, there are working whales out here by The pavilions, there are tons of trash cans for your convenience. The bathrooms are open and they are very clean. Playground is open. The only downfall is there's no swings for smaller children. Lots of parking, great walking trails. NO dogs allowed.
And yes the water fountains behind the bathrooms do work!!
I recommend this trail, it only takes about 20 minutes to hike up. The view is spectacular on the top of the mountain. It kind of give me the mini version of Stone Mountain feels. No dogs allowed.

I was told that there was a trail close to my house I was kinda shocked, and took some time out of the next weekend to check it out.
I'm certainly glad that I did! It was pretty, and lightly strenuous hike for a Saturday morning. I took a friend and we didn't do the full trail, because she had something to do after, but I'm definitely interested in going back and finishing the whole thing.
For those with kids, the Fairy Trail is neat because people have made a bunch of little "fairy homes" that they placed alongside the trail. It's funny and provides a bit of whimsy to the hike.
All in all, I would definitely suggest heading over on a Saturday or Sunday day trip.

Beautiful place to go hiking and to take fresh air, and watch a beautiful sunset. Easy access to the trails ,I really like that they have a lots of signs to guide you up to the top , bathrooms are very clean . I took the 30 min hiking trail round trip and I enjoyed so much the abundance of nature. I really recommend you to come to this place and explore.

It is a great place to go on some hiking trails and be at peace and get some excercise. They are moderate to slighlty strenuous to hike with the hills if you are not used to hiking. Trails are well kept. If you plan on hiking make sure to have a good pair of hiking boots to wear. Its is not dangerous but the ankle support is a good idea. It is one of the more refreshing hiking trails I have done lately. There is not a view like other mountains but if you are looking to get away and be in a peaceful place for a bit, this is the place. I strongly recommend giving the hiking trails a go.
Wills Park Recreation Center in North Fulton County offers a variety of recreational activities for all ages, including walking paths, baseball fields, disc golf, tennis courts, and open spaces for relaxation. Visitors can also enjoy an equestrian arena and dog park. With its numerous amenities and diverse options for outdoor fun, Wills Park is truly a special place worth experiencing.
A great park full of memories and families. There’s something for everyone here, tennis, basketball, baseball, disk golf, workout equipment, dog parks, a coffee shop in the rec hall, foosball, horseback riding… it goes on and on. My personal favorite is the wooden castle playground, as a kid the place seems huge and safe, there’s so much to explore. It’s worth checking out if you’re just passing by, it’s quite a sight.

The park was neat and tidy. There weren't many people, and there were swimming pools and equestrian riding courses. One lap is about 1.7 miles away. There is a lot of consideration for walking with pets and children. There are many parking lots, so you can use them conveniently. It is minor negative that the stream is small and there is no pond. If you live in Alpharetta, you must visit there once.

Wills Park is simply wonderful so so many reasons. From walking paths, to baseball fields, to disc golf, to tennis courts and so much more, Wills Park is a most wonderful amenity here in North Fulton County. It even boasts open spaces to relax, throw a frisbee, kick or throw a ball or to just relax with a novel or non-fiction offering. In terms of recreation, Wills Park is truly a special place. For those who are lucky enough to live in close proximity to Wills, I'd venture to guess that it would be a favorite park.
If you are in the area, remember not to miss this special place. And for those who might venture a car trip to experience it, I would recommend that they do.

We've been coming to this pool every summer for the last four years. My daughter absolutely loves swimming and jumping off the diving boards! The addition of the huge water slide is great. The concession stand is good, just a little pricey, and they are always out of the ice cream my daughter wants. I would have given 5 stars, but this year I have noticed that the lifeguards employed here are not very pleasant. The previous years, they have always been friendly and helpful, and 2 years ago, there was even one lifeguard that stayed late and waited with us inside when my car broke down and we were waiting on my husband to come get us. But so far this year, they have all been rude, and seem to be on some sort of power trip.

Love this park. Trail is amazing, park is clean and the playground is fun for kids of all ages. Park has lots of seats if you want a nice cozy place to sit and read a good book. Cute doggies walking around and there’s fenced areas for doggies of all sizes to play which is great because it cuts down on dog poo being all over the park. Alpharetta community center is there as well, there’s a number of things for people in the community to get into there. Overall, I give this place a 10/10 😁

Every time I've come to this park theres swarms of leaf blowers and landscapers with loud lawnmowers. Its the most unpeaceful park in existence. Guys with lawnmowers and gator vehicles driving past you on the walking trail and leaf blowers blowing dirt and debree clouds all over the place for what? who cares if there are leaves on the ground? Its not worth the noise and nuisance.

Historical wooded state park offering hiking, picnicking & boating, plus fishing.
A very well-staffed park. Excellent signage to direct you on where to go. We only took the Red Trail to see the Mill Ruins on a quick visit, but I do recommend that one for beginner hikers! The path is nicely packed and wide for comfort without much of a grade. I was a little disappointed in all the fencing around the ruins keeping you from getting a closer look, but I totally understand the purpose of it being there. The water was lovely and calming also. I would recommend this spot for a nice, relaxing afternoon in nature.

Close to the city and never disappoints. The State Park is well maintained, with recent updates to the property. A nice place to enjoy solo or as a group. The trails are moderate, well marked, and hosts beautiful scenery regardless of the trail your on. Good walking/hiking shoes highly recommended. Don’t forget water and snacks! You could stay out there for hours enjoying the outdoors. The day use areas and lake are also cool places to enjoy.
Check weather conditions before starting if it rained recently to make sure no portion of the trails are under water. Definitely recommended and we shall return!

Absolutely gorgeous park, a great escape from Metro Atlanta. Leashed dog friendly. The mill ruins are cool and easy to get to for people of varying abilities, yound and old. They have many trails which are very well marked with lots of blazes. One big thing to note is that after the ruins, the red trail does become more difficult. If you are unsteady, around lots of rocks and tree roots I would take the white trail from the ruins back toward the interpretive center, but If you are up to the challenge the remainder of the red trail is worth the reward.

This park is so great. Mill ruin is pretty. The creek is so beautiful with so many rocks on its surface, you can hop on some of those. There is visitor center with a small museum displaying history of that place. You can see alot of taxidermy animals typically found in the area. Gift shop sells souvenirs like rocks, books, decoration, even plush animals. We got a beautiful bald eagle plush back pack and took a bunch of nice pictures with it.

One of the most loved, and traveled to state parks in Georgia no doubt. The place is absolutely beautiful. You need to come early or you will not have a decent parking spot. I would highly recommend before 9 AM.
The visitor center is huge. The bathrooms are clean and spacious, and it looks like it has undergone a recent renovation.
Do you want to take the red trail down to the river and see the ruins. Past the ruins the trail is very rough and not for children. The white trail is all woods and has a giant circle about 5 miles. We did see some snakes and other animals totally worth it. One of our favorite parks in Georgia .

Great park that’s only a short drive from the city. The grounds are clean and signage is pretty good. Park staff is pleasant and helpful. I went up to rent a kayak for a couple hours and was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to do the rental. Boats are in decent shape and there’s a small ramp for getting in and out of the water. No beach area, but there’s a nice shaded section with picnic tables and room for blankets or your own seating. If you’re looking for this area, go away from the main visitor center and follow the signs for the bait shop. This may be my new go-to spot to get out of the city!

What a nice place, many hiking trails and beautiful views of the river or the lake. Not too many people, dog friendly and plenty of parking. Had a great winter hike with my family. Too bad the red trail was closed for maintenance so we could not get up close to the mill ruins. But we had a very fun hike over the bridge, up some hilly terrain, past a large cave, and back to the large creek with nice views of the mill.
The Six Flags White Water water park is spread across 40 acres and offers a wide range of attractions for young kids, including slides and a fantasy tree house. Although the park can get crowded at times with long wait times for rides, visitors can purchase a platinum fast pass to reduce their wait time. Some of the rides may be closed due to maintenance issues but those that are open provide ample entertainment.
We went to the World of illumination. It was absolutely fantastic. The lights were so beautiful and went so well to the music that they played. We did not wait too long when we were going through the line to enter and we literally went two days before they were ending the light show. We also got the four pack 3-D glasses Which some of the kids enjoyed but some of them didn’t like them they just wanted to watch them without the 3-D glasses. Definitely doing this again next year.

Went on opening day May 8.2021...and I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED....50 percent of the rides are closed...it looks like corona virus hit the park....food suck....had an overall better experience at sixflags. Same rides as when i was a teenager...smh...
Update got season passes this year 2022 thinking it would be better. As soon as you walk In park 4 rides closed and that's just walking in some been closed for seasons. Then I came to park today 5/8 and park was closing at 5pm when it clearly states it would closed at 7pm on site. Operational manager need to do a better overall job. This will be my last year coming here and purchasing a season pass. Disappointed!

Just be careful because peons get abbey when you ride 4 times while they have been in line an hour but hey you got to pay to play 😁😉 we enjoyed the tornado the most and the python plunge!! I will warn you hours have changed they close at 6 during week which I want told when I bought flash pass at 3 so that upset me but this park is awesome with great employees not rude at all!! A few rides are closed and the lazy river because they don't have enough employees 🙄 😒 come on kiddos go to work!!

I took the kids today and they had a blast. Our 1st time. Plenty to do for young kids! We went on a Wednesday, it wasn't extremely packed but the lines were really long. We just decided to buy the platinum fast pass. So we were able to get on all the slides with a 5 or 10 minute wait. Fast pass definitely worth it for the few slides that were open. One of the slides conveyor belt did break while we were in line so we didn't get a chance to ride it. They did have a lot of slides closed but the slides we did get on were sooo fun. With the fast pass we were able to get on a second time. Overall we enjoyed ourselves. Hopefully next time we come they have all the slides open.

5 stars for value, I mean seriously where else can you have fun for $60/person for whole season.
4 stars for the number of attractions available during our visits, many of them are not available due to insufficient life guards they said.
3 stars for maintenance, pools aren't too clean. Leaves and debris. Some deferred maintenance can be seen like cracked pavement, dull and chipped paints and more. Far from say water parks in Florida which are well maintained.
We had a great time though.

It’s worth the price. Lots to do for all ages. Renting a cabana was 100% worth every penny!!! It was great to have a guaranteed place to come back to to relax, cool off, and know that our valuables were safe. We kept the 2 sides zipped and opened the front and back- with the ceiling fan on, it gave nice air flow and kept us cool. The cabana has a table and 4 chairs in the shade, plus 2 lounge chairs in the sun, but they can me moved where you need them while in the cabana.
The wave pool and kiddie area pool have a lot of chlorine (for obvious reasons) and it irritated my face- a quick rinse with plain water from the bathroom sink really helped. A little disappointed that only a few of the slides were open. (Maybe that was because it was so late in the season?) still had fun, though and stayed the entire time they were open! There is something for everyone of all ages. They have a splash pad type area for they very young, and a bigger splash area with a 2’ deep pool for toddlers/preschoolers/ and an area behind that that looked like it would attract elementary school aged kids, and some more exciting slides for older kids and adults. They had some solo slides, and family rides. We would go again!

We had season passes. We didn't use them more than a few times. Probably half the rides and 2/3 of the restaurants were closed the last time we went, so I don't think we will go again.
Kirsten Thompson — Google review
I wish we could leave a little different review for each item. Half of the attractions were down and I'm sure it's a mixture of maintenance and staffing issues.
Slides going into the children's play pools were closed for maintenance by the looks of it. All the pumps running just to try and keep them clean. The lazy river was closed forcing everyone into the wave pool. Limited staff I'm sure to keep the expenses down and increase profit. The rides that were open were well staffed and went pretty smoothly, one slide that people enjoyed would allow people unable to swim to ride it.
Please if you go to a water park and plan to ride the rides at a bare minimum know how to swim.
Everyone has a good time. Park needs some work but I'm sure in this day in time this could not be built and turn a profit.
Chairs are used by people to stow belongings rather than sit in them. Family's of 10 would take 10 chairs for nothing more than drying their towels.
First time ever going and I'm sure we will be back in the hopes more rides are open and repaired.

Great park to visit and spend some time with the kids or a date... Definitely splurge for the fast pass if it's in your budget... With few rides wait times can be long...
The music is good and they keep it clean at the park

We have been visiting World of Illumination lightshows from past few years and its always a fun place to visit with family and friends.
My daughter loves the music synced lights and their music selections.
I highly recommend buying tickets online in advance as this year, we saw them kicking people out since they didn't have tickets and all slots were sold out. Sometimes you'll find tickets in local Costco for a bit cheaper.
Also, I'd recommend you visit this early in Nov, Dec or after Christmas. avoid last few days before Christmas if you don't wann wait in lines for hours.

We had so much fun here!! They have a great selection of slides and attractions, you could easily spend the whole day there. The water was super clean and not too heavy on chemicals. Parking was great as well, and walking in and exiting the parking lot was a breeze.
The one thing that was disappointing is the lack of cleanliness. It looks like the lockers have literally never, ever been cleaned. I didn't feel comfortable touching them at all. You can also expect the food to be expensive. If that matters, definitely bring your own as well as a refillable water bottle.
Overall it's worth the trip and worth coming back!
Allimarie Wallace — Google review
Could give it 4 stars but few rides were closed and feel like area needs more cleanliness.
Went on Saturday and queue was 40-50 minutes for most of the good slides such as TORNADO, DIVE BOMBER, DRAGON TAIL.
You can get chips, pizza, beer, fries inside but no doubt price is on a higher side which is definitely a big drawback.
Overall the full area plus restrooms/changing rooms should be more clean :(. Request to management to take care on this.
Very different rides with easy, medium and difficult levels.
Some are very easy and some really beats your heart high such as DIVE BOMBER, DRAGON TAIL.
Got general ticket online on 50% discount with 34$ each on which tax and processing fee got added so total was more.
Also parking is extra $25.
We got one season pass too which was $50 plus processing fee and tax.
Lockers are there which is again on a higher price and it is $22 each locker.

Avoid this water park its a waste of money. Most of the rides are closed, especially the lazy river and all the rides that flow into it, it hasn't been open for over 3 years and their website says nothing about it. That's totally misleading! I understand they probably don't have enough life guards but they have like 6 employees working the parking lot just standing there. I would have all of them trained and make parking free until things were normal. Most parents that come to white water go for the relaxation of the lazy river.
The Millz — Google review
We went on a Sunday and the lines were not long early in the morning which saved us money instead of buying the fast pass. However the long lines started towards the late afternoon. Everything was super fun. The last river was closed which was a bummer. I didn’t like some of those rides required you to take your own water tube up the stairs. I would hope the upgrade all the rides to a mechanical conveyer belt to bring those tubes up to the top.

Park layout is terrible. Especially if you have little kids. We missed some attractions bc they were so spaced out. Bathrooms are not clean. The changing room isn't near the lockers!!! BEES BEES BEES Everywhere! 5 trashcans close to where people are sitting, and the BEES were all over the expensive food and drinks (with no lid or straw). Lazy River is surrounded by trees, so quite a bit of leaves and debris. I went on a weekday, so it wasn't too crowded, but I've heard it can get crazy. Couldn't go past 5 ft in wave pool! Very expensive if you pay at the gate
Marietta Square is a charming city park, bordered by restaurants and shops, featuring a replica of the Liberty Bell, benches and a fountain. Visitors can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere with live music, browsing through numerous vendors' stores or simply relaxing on one of the benches. The surrounding murals add to the park's aesthetic appeal. Free 2-hour parking is available nearby for convenience.
This visit was a pleasant surprise. We visited thinking just a quaint little town with lots of shops, etc., but there was a full blown Festival happening! So much to do and see, so many little shops and vendors, live music, eating, browsing, buying, watching or just hanging out. We were traveling from Ohio and had toddlers to teens + our pooch and there was something for everyone. Great job little town of Marietta Square ❤🐕

There's always something going on at The Marietta Square! Many festivals and evening concerts are scheduled throughout the year, along with farmer's markets. Check out The Strand (theater) & their schedule as well, and so many cool places to shop and eat. Was super worried about the mature tree removal around the perimeter (roots pushing up sidewalks) but it already is looking great again!

I visited for a food festival. So very disappointed. Vendors tripled prices for just tasting items. Food wasn't good. Would not go to a food festival held here. Parking limited. Marietta police and fire dept. Were available to assust with situations. Very professional. I have visited just to sit in the gazebo or listen to live music. I have eaten at many of the restaurants there and was never disappointed. I’ve gone there on a date night and even was a spectator of several weddings at the gazebo. Enjoyed very much.i have never been disappointed with any of the restaurants that I've dined at. Many small restaurants and you can eat outside and enjoy. It's very quaint. Would recommend for a date night or just to go chill.

So many things to do at the city center of my hometown! The Strand Theater is still right there on the corner! There is a playground for the kids to enjoy, and there are public restrooms (real ones, not port-a-potty!) There are restaurants and bars all around the square. Social events are held frequently here. I was most recently here on behalf of Team Trivia filling in to run the weekly Trivia Game at Red Hare - The Still on the Square. Great bunch of folks there to enjoy a fun game of Trivia!

The summer concert series and arts festivals are really enjoyable. There are plenty of restaurants and shops in the area to enjoy when there aren’t large gatherings on the square. Traffic can be really hectic on event days and I recommend early arrival or ride share services.

I always have such a great time when visiting Marietta square. So many restaurants and bars that are in walking distance of each other. The square itself is a great place to grab a bench and people watch or read. I visited for Chalktober fest, breakfast, and a book club meeting this week and every time was a different experience. There is a bookstore, magic shop, art studios, boutique shops and places to eat all around the square.

Tomorrow's morning will be the annual MS walk. They have a 1 mile trail and 3 mile trail. Dogs are welcomed, and the city police take care of blocking the path for everyone to enjoy the walk at your own pace. They have stands along the path with water also. It I great event for a great cause....

Located in the center of downtown Marietta, Marietta Square is a really fun and cute place that is centered with a pretty water fountain and a nice little park called "Glover Park." The vibes are great, and it's a great spot to bring kids or sit down and enjoy yourself!
There are a bunch of really cool shops directly next to the square. Some places I visited:
Rocket Fizz - super cool candy store with some exotic candy that I haven't tried before!
Tsunami - Latin American & Asian fusion cuisine, very yummy!
There was also some dragon store that I can't quite remember the name of, but the people working there were really kind and had a great sense of humor. Overall, very very cool place!

Went to the Taste of Marietta. It was a wonderful day, with all kinds of food to pick from. One of my favorite places to eat is Taqueria! They have the Best variety of Tacos.
Preserved site of an 1864 Civil War battle, with a visitor's center featuring a film & artifacts.
I purposely went to the park late in the afternoon, so I expected parking to be a pain, which it was. I really love visiting national park units though (40+ and counting), so it wasn't the worst thing in the world. I was there to hike anyway, but I used my America the Beautiful pass to cover the parking fee.
From the overflow parking lot, I bee-lined to the Visitor Center to get a map and my stamp. After that, I immediately started the 1-mile hike up the main trail to the summit. The trail started to ascend almost immediately and it's very rocky, so pace yourself if you need to. There aren't a huge number of benches along the trail, but the trails are extremely well marked.
Overall, this park is honestly one of the best maintained units I've ever seen, but I have to assume it's because of the number of locals who visit. Seeing it in spring is probably the best part because of all the beautiful flowering trees.
Shameless plug: I visit all kinds of parks and share them on my IG @domsdillydallies if you're interested!

There is a short connecting trail that follows alongside a creek at the base of the Dead Angle field on Cheatham Hill where the Illinois Monument is located. Along that trail are two of the most magnificent trees in the 2965 acre park. They’re both about the same size though one has it’s massive moss covered roots exposed.

Visitor center is really nice. Has a short film about the battle I found pretty touching. They have a first rate museum with a lot of items that are significant to the battle and Sherman’s campaign to capture Atlanta. There did not seem to be a lot in the way of interpretation on most of the trails other than a few plaques, but the visiting the “Dead Angle” and knowing what happened there is a really sobering experience.

They seem quite apologetic and even celebratory of confederate war nostalgia, under the guise of "history". This is evidenced by their various monuments and historical markers that attempt to subtley depict the losing pro-slavery racist condederates as heroes whose deeds are somehow worthy of respect or rememberance. Utter gaslighting nonsense. A better monument would be to the countless slaves that were forced to undergo neverending unpaid labor under horrible conditions for their entire lives, to the sole benefit of the ruthless, unenlightened brutal confederates.

The gardens were a delight to see. This time of year, the daffodils are the main exhibit and they are beautiful! You are surrounded by a sea of gold and white. At the gate, maps are available for you to take one. The walking paths have many signs and arrows to guide you through the park so it is easy to maneuver. There are restrooms and a cafe at the welcome center. This a scenic and peaceful place to visit. I will definitely go back to view more exhibitions in the future.

Large, expansive gardens! Lots of gorgeous daffodils, tulips, bridges and ponds throughout. Be prepared to do lots of walking up hills to see the flowers and we also walked a good distance from the parking lot. We visited on a very busy Saturday during peak daffodil season, but the gardens are large enough that we never felt cramped or crowded. The entrance price was a bit steep, but we enjoyed ourselves! If we lived closer, we would've definitely bought an annual pass to save money. Overall, recommended!

My friend and I decided to spend a day at Gibbs Garden, and it did not disappoint! Our favorite part were the wildflowers and loving on the two cats that live on the grounds. The on site cafe was reasonably priced, and as a person that eats a vegan diet, I was afraid they wouldn’t have any options for myself .. but I was able to get the grain bowl without the cheese. Wow. Exceeded all expectations. I like this better than Atlanta Botanical Gardens because Gibbs blends into hilly terrain with natural tree cover so it feels like it was always there. It is HUGE! Be prepared to walk up inclines and plan on being here for 4 hours so you have time to rest between walking, it's good exercise. Although it only opened in 2012 to the public the plantings are so natural you think it was all here forever. The cafe food is good but it is takeout and you sit in the shady picnic grove. We waited 23 minutes in line on a busy Saturday at 1:30 pm in late March to get food so get there earlier if you need to eat faster. The parking lots also fill up so early arrival means less walking to the entrance.

The gardens are beautiful. Plenty of nature to see around. The daffodils were in full bloom and there were beautiful tulips to see as well.
It takes a good 3-4 hours to cover the garden at leisure and be sure to wear comfy shoes. The directions within the garden to explore was detailed.
Plenty of benches to sit upon and relax.
Couple of things which I believe should be improved
- Lack of water station / dispenser. There is one at the reception / main gate and none thereafter. They should have couple of them within the gardens. They could definitely have one at Manor house which is like a highlight and a mid-way point.
- Long walks: while this is a given, there could be a provision of a buggy for older people.

Pretty place but their maps are confusing as is the entrance process. Their ticket booth is inside the welcome center which is after the person who scans your entrance ticket??? Also the ticket scanners weren’t very nice that day. People didn’t know where to go and I think that overwhelmed the workers. Crowd control would be beneficial here. Everyone else was nice though. It would be good to have one map instead of two side by side ones. It seems some of the garden areas overlap but the different maps are not oriented the same way so it’s hard to keep up with what direction you should go so you’re not backtracking. Also, a list of what is blooming that day would be good as well. We walked the daffodil fields for no reason as they were all gone. We could’ve skipped that area and had time to visit others. Be prepared for a LOT of walking and for hills. Although it’s mentioned on their site, trails really are not stroller or handicap friendly. It would be nice to see some concrete paths for individuals needing mobility assistance. Dirt paths don’t mix well with wheels. Overall, it was a decent trip and I might visit again but improvements are needed.

We have gone there for concerts and it has been wonderful experiences. Have taken walks on one of the trails going toward Canton. We did the bike trail recently and didn't feel too safe. One due to some shady looking characters and some lady with her family had a pit bill she couldn't control, which was leaping at people viciously. Had to take bike off trail and back on to keep from being attacked. Maybe bring animal mace or something next time. We love dogs and sometimes bring our own and never have had this problem. The trails however are beautiful and peaceful. So nice to have this near by to us.

This is my happy place!! I’ve been here countless times and it’s always clean, safe, well-maintained, and has a great vibe.
There are so many great local events hosted here like 5Ks, food and music festivals, egg hunts, model plane competitions, dance classes, etc. Any of the events makes for a great time.
As far as exercise goes, the trails are in phenomenal paved condition. The trails are nearly flat and span several miles. They’re great for running and biking. There is a connector trail through the woods that leads to heritage park. And on the river walk portion of Etowah river park there is a hidden loop through the woods.
The park is very kid and dog-friendly. I always feel safe bringing my toddler to play here. There’s a great playground on the Etowah river park side and a brand new playground on the heritage park side.
In my opinion this is the best park in the northern Atlanta area. We are so fortunate to have it right here in Canton!

A great park to visit with kids. It is but isolated and very close to nature. There are lot of activities for kids to have fun. There are basketball court, soccer ground and play areas for younger ones. There are few trails to enjoy scenic walks along with the river flowing close by. One drawback I see is that this park has just one pavilion and that too at the entrance. Apart from that it is a good park to visit

I hope wing and rock festival happens every year. This is a great location. Lots of fun for the family and it's kid and dog friendly. This was my second year. Next year I'll be a lil more prepared.
For the sun. Holy moly it was hot. Bring chairs and an umbrella.

Great place to walk. The Six mile loop is a nice, easy walk. The Scouts walked a marathon for a merit badge last Saturday, and it was the perfect place to do so.

We visited this park recently for the Wings and Rock festival. The festival turned out nice and the park was great. The restrooms on the other hand were absolutely disgusting! The womens restroom had three stalls. The first one was missing the toilet completely and was the only stall that actually had toilet paper left in it. The other two stalls were out of toilet paper and were extremely dirty. There were old feminine products overflowing the stall trash cans into the floor, dirty water was all in the floors. It was just very unclean everywhere you looked. The whole restroom reeked of an overwhelming sewage waste. And to top it all off of course all of the soap dispensers were empty as well! I was shocked and very disappointed at the lack of cleanliness at their facilities.

Had a blast at the recent festival. Plenty for the kids, plenty food choices and the entrainment on stage was fabulous. Huge event, can't wait till next year's.

The kids I babysit absolutely love this place. The playgrounds are big and have lots of different things to do.
We had my mom's bday party at this park as well so that we didn't have to worry much about being around sickness like in a restaurant setting. She loved the fresh air and the icecream man coming by was a big bonus! The concerts and events are a blast too!

Great place to run, walk, fly a drone, fly a kite, walk a dog, walk your cat, release your gold fish into the river, drop/ pick up kyacks, take your grandma to sit on a bench and listen to stories about grandpa's war stories.
Good,
OK bye

Big park for walking, jogging etc.
I don't understand why there isn't any food facilities, the park is beautiful and it would be nice if it had a place for lunch or coffee 😞.
Onlly one facility for bathrooms at the entrance of the park, it needs another bathroom facility on the west side of the park. Otherwise it's a nice park with benches and long pathways to walk or jog.
Red Top Mountain State Park is a stunning destination located in Cartersville, known for its picturesque 12,000-acre Lake Allatoona. The park offers a wide range of outdoor activities including fishing, water skiing, and swimming. Visitors can relax on the sandy beach surrounded by trees or explore the historic grounds with artifacts and educational exhibits. Hiking enthusiasts will enjoy the 1.3-mile loop trail that provides historical insights into the area's past.
Great park for beginner hikers or children. There's a small paved loop that would be good for wheelchair users or strollers, but the actual hiking is a little bumpier. Still a very easy hike even for a toddler.
Beautiful views from the rocks at the lake. Take a picnic and enjoy the view! Lots of easy parking. $5 entry or free with GA state parks pass.

Went to Red Top Mountain State Park with my friends on a Friday. The price of admission was only $5 per vehicle, with plenty of parking and a nice, clean welcome center, bathrooms and store. We hiked on some of the well-kept hiking trails and paths (which have a number of benches well-spaced in case you need to sit). Afterwards, we enjoyed some time on the lake, which had plenty of picnic tables and swings. All in all, for how close it is to Atlanta, it was a pretty good park to visit.

This park is like a fairytale place! Swimming at the warm lake surrounded by all the park’s greenery/forestry is fabulous! So serene and breathtaking! Very kids friendly place (has kids story walk along the trail), has very many hiking options & fantastic lake for swimming and picnics tables along the lake’s shore in the forest, where you can eat, eat & enjoy beautiful views. We’ve been only at one area of the park and can’t wait to come back to see other parts of it and to swim in it again! People can do boating there as well (as we saw many open lake areas where the boats were allowed, safely separated from areas where people can swim). Very relaxing and stunning nature scenery! We are absolutely in love with this mesmerizing place. 🥰❤️

It’s a beautiful park. There are many places to fish, jet skiing, go boating, and there is a man made beach. It is more peaceful and cleaner than Allatoona Lake. The park has an African American history. There are photos which can be seen in their event house or on a history board at the playground. The park visitors were of various cultures. It was nice to see a melting pot of people enjoy this beautiful park!

I have camped here twice and it is a very nice park. The campground has lots of trees and spacious, quiet sites. We stayed at site 16 with a travel trailer and it was a little tricky. I would say this site is not appropriate for a RV larger than 17 feet at the most. The usable space was narrow and would be difficult to level for a larger vehicle. The campground is currently undergoing renovations to the bathrooms, yurts, and some sites but this should be in late March 2022. The campground has easy access to the lake and trails. We hiked the Iron Hill trail, which was nicely maintained and had beautiful lake views. Staff and camp hosts were friendly. Check-in and accessing the campground was easy.

Wow! Such a Beautiful place can't wait to go back. So peaceful soamy benches to sit on and just take it all in on the trail behind the welcome center. Great play ground for kids too. Clean bathrooms and picnic tables for lunch or dinner. The grounds are beautiful. There is boat rentals and a beach. The pavilions they have for rent at the beach are beautiful! If you need to just get outside this is a great place to go.

My kids and I stayed in a yurt this past week over the 4th. We enjoyed our stay.We have stayed in yurts all across the GA state parks that have them, and these had some of the best views, right on the lake. We could just pop down for a quick swim. However, all the other yurts had full size bunk beds, with a couch futon. These yurts had a twin sized bunk bed, then a couch that could be pulled out. Problem was, there was a MASSIVE table that took up half of the yurt. We had no choice but to rearrange to pull the bed out. Even still, this massive table was in the way the whole time. With a yurt, you have to have a cooler for your stuff, but ice at the trading post cost me almost $5 for a small bag! That’s crazy! We had to drive into town each day to get ice cause I wasn’t paying that. This park got insanely busy up til the 4th. Cars were parked along the street. There was no way to get to the beach without walking a long ways. Luckily there are multiple places to just hop in the lake. The beach is small and cute, right in a cove. It was very pretty, but just couldn’t hold that large of a crowd. All of the rangers and workers were all incredibly nice and one even told us about some fireworks happening right in the park. So my kids and I were able to get a great view without going into town. We walked a few trails and the lakeside one leading to the Vaughan cabin was so nice and peaceful. The one leading out to the tiny peninsula for fishing was absolutely covered in trash though…I don’t think that one was state park property though.

There are so many activities to do in this park. A lot of hikes and many water activities. Trails are well maintained. We did the Iron Hill trail. It was a moderate difficulty trail. If you're coming here, be sure to bring stuff for both hiking and water activities.

Such a fun and beautiful place to hang for the day with family and friends. Great place to go on Mother’s Day as well. Went with friends and their baby for Mother’s Day. Brought some SUP’s with us. Others had kayaks and blow up swimming pools. Picnic tables and benches are there as well. Bring a hammock - loads of trees to hang them on. Highly recommend. We got the annual state pass with one night camping - they had a sale and it was $55 instead of $85 till end of May. Annual pass is $50 normally so was the worth the extra $5 and the pass is good until end of May 2024. Most of my photos and pics have people in them and I respect their privacy - go out there and have fun!!

This park is such a treat! You can access the Sweetgum Trail, Homestead Loop Trail, and White trail from the visitor center. It’s about a 5 mile trip with some elevation, but the path is clear and visible the entire hike. Park entrance fee is $5. There are so many spots to lounge, wade, and swim in the water, and you don’t need a boat to access them. Beautiful view points with benches of Lake Allatoona along the Homestead Loop trail, if you’re not looking to get in the water. So much to see and so much to do that everyone can enjoy!!!

We camped here multiple times but this time they renovated a lot nicer. Bathroom was new & so clean. We went for a trial @ Iron hill. It was so beautiful & scenic. Only I have one complain is parking for our site #27. It was little too small for two car parking. It’s only fit one car. Other than that we love & enjoyed camping there. We highly recommend red top mountain.

I just love this place. So pretty, great way to get outside at all times of the year! In the summer it is shaded so doesn’t get too hot. It changes all the time, the water is lower in the winter but still so stunning.

Great spots with lots of room. We were in site 88 and FULL hook ups. A couple things is the family bathroom drainage needs to be fixed. My daughter and I were walking in water after our showers and the yurts are a bit far from a nearby bathroom for the price.

It’s been a couple years since I’ve camped here, in fact, before the construction occurred. Love all the pathways they’ve put in from sites to the bathrooms. And speaking of bathrooms…what a nice upgrade to all the ones beyond the premium sites. A lot of work has been done and I was really excited to see it. Of course there’s tons of walking trails and of course your chance of seeing deer is pretty high.
We actually stayed at the lovely site 5, which also has sewer (sites 2-12). Just note that sites 8-12 have a lot more sun now due to the sewer installation.
The park desperately needs to update pictures of all the sites so you can accurately see the site you are paying for and not be disappointed when arriving.

Very beautiful scenery. There are both mountains and lakes. You can take a trail, kayak or rent a boat. You can escape the heat in the summer and see the red leaves in the autumn. Like it very much.

This is the third time I’ve visited this state park and this visit was my favorite / mostly as I studied the trails more and picked the trail most suited to what I desired - which was seeing the fall colors! The park ranger recommended the Iron Hill trail around the lake for best fall colors, and it did not disappoint. It’s a gravel parking lot. Very well marked trail with 90% of the hike in view of the lake. The visitor center is nice with clean restrooms. In the past, I’ve taken more of the wooded trails like Sugargum and didn’t prefer those as much. It is dog friendly but they ask to keep dogs on 6’ leash! It does say they close the gates at dark - I haven’t tested this but best be sure to leave before your car gets locked in!!

Nice park close and a short drive from many areas in metro Atlanta. We did the lakeside trail and found it easy for all age groups. There are many picnic tables and a children's play area behind the visitor center. It would be a great spot for a summer picnic.

Absolutely beautiful and a great staff. The lots are amazing with a large variation to pick from. Roads are narrow, and the park is not well established for large units. Some pull through spots with full service connections that served us well. Do not navigate an RV in the dark due to hazzards.

We camped here for the first weekend in November. The campground was very well kept and the campsite was clean & tidy when we arrived. Prior to arrival I was contacted and provided my gate access code since we were arriving after the standard check-in time. We stayed in the first loop, which is apparently newer? They are all pull through sites with full hook ups (30a/50a/110a, water, sewer, tv cable). There's a lot of space between the sites & they're graded well. There is a dump station at beginning of the camping area for the other sites that do not have sewer hookups. The hiking/biking trails were very nice and accessible. We'll definitely be back.
Ken Hall — Google review
Once you got through the Atlanta traffic you'd swear that you would never go there again until you got to the park and then you'd say - wow this is great. Maybe I will come here again. A lot of nice trails and the cmpgrd was well kept. Some sites seemed a little cramped maybe. The visitor center was nice and well stocked.
Beautiful views and delicious selection of wines. We visited the other day and it could not be a more perfect location to get away and relax. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We already have plans to come back with friends.

Lovely place with gorgeous views to the mountains. If you are lucky you can get a table with a view but otherwise it’s just an ok experience. The wines are good but not exceptional. Turns out that the grapes for the wines in the flights are imported so not local which was a bit disappointing. The goats and dogs are cute.

Our friends took us here with a very promising review of the winery, and it absolutely did not disappoint. We came in the winter so it was chillier to be outside, but we had a lovely time at the main building, and on the deck when it warmed up. The wine tasting options were great. The flats were cute. There’s a cute gift shop too.

I can’t even begin to say enough good things about this place. If you’re in the area you have to go. The views are breathtaking, they have adorable goats and Great Pyrenees, the wine is delicious, they are very dog and kid friendly, and so much more. The goats were the real selling point to me as a crazy animal person. If you have a few hours, pack a picnic and enjoy the property with friends and family!

You’re able to bring in outside food. As a gluten free gal, I will certainly bring in some snackies next time. They do offer some items for snacks.
Bought a bottle to go and some glasses. Will make an excellent housewarming gift for a friend.
Please do not steal their glasses!! They are adorable and only $8, buy one and support a local business!

Additional "Estate Tasting" flights at a higher price point of either 3 different Bordeaux or 3 different Can vintages. We had a flight of Whites, a flight of Reds, and a flight of Bordeaux. Live music as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Highly recommended.

Such a hidden treasure this winery is small with wonderful views and the best staff ever. Do we took my daughter and her best friend for a wine tasting for their 21st birthdays. Kristen was our guide and made it so fun while teaching us how to “taste” the wine. I actually do not like wine but they have a blueberry wine that is delicious!!! I actually bought 2 bottles…and drank them. We were able to bring a charcuterie board and set it up at our table to snack on. They also have lots of yummy snacks that you can purchase. Wine popsicles were so refreshing. We took our party outside to one of the tables. The view was absolutely amazing!!! We got to see the goats too!! Planning our next trip out with some friends. This is definitely a winery you want to visit if you haven’t. They have lots of events I’ve noticed too.

I have been to Fainting Goat Vineyards before and have always enjoyed the wine, the view, the staff and, of course, the goats. I recently retired and had to be near Jasper so I checked to see if they were open. You never know in December. Some wineries are only open on weekends during this slow time. I was happy to see they were.
I discovered I was not the only one that had stopped to enjoy their wine. There were two other groups there. I ordered a glass of their Peach Georgia Getaway wine and sat on the porch. Though I was in the sun it was still a little chilly so I moved inside next to their fireplace. I could still enjoy the views but from a warmer position. I ended up taking a bottle with me. As always I enjoyed the wine the views and the staff. Autumn was friendly and helpful. If you have never been to Fainting Goat (and maybe the name has got your attention) you need to stop by and enjoy a glass of wine.

So I only tried one wine, it was a cab blend. I thought it was okay, not exactly what I was hoping for but it was fine and the staff was so nice and the vineyard so beautiful that the perfect wine wasn't needed. I would like to go back and try other options. My mom had the blackberry slush and she said it was delicious.

Such a darling place! We were on the hunt for raw milk, but they unfortunately were all sold out when we got there so we got some butter, ice cream and other snacks instead. Surprised to find it virtually empty, but Sue explained that this being the week after a major "cooking holiday" was normal. Totally makes sense!
Goats, cows, ducks, sheep, rabbits, and an old Ford pickup are nice photo opportunities...
The store has a great array of Bar-B-Q books and sauces available to compliment the meats they sell. There are also, honey, raw milk (for pets), glass jar canned items, and other items.
Meat is frozen to -10°F which will allow you some time to get it home even if you forgot a cooler! (Sadly, we were not going straight home, so couldn't buy anything to take... but happily it's a great excuse to go back!)

We went here in July 2023.
It is a little out of the way, but that’s fine because you get to enjoy some of the countryside on the way there.
The farm has a store. They sell fun things like hot sauces, olives, and chips. Of course they have milk, cheeses, including goat cheese, and butter. They even offer raw cow milk, advertised as for pets. We bought some goat milk soap and a candle.
We didn’t get any of their beef products such as steak, liver, and bones, because we didn’t have a container to keep them cool, so make sure you bring something like that.
There are also animals that you can pet. When we went there were calves and goats.
There are probably 10, maybe 15 parking spaces. That was fine when we went since we had 3 vehicles, and there were a couple other families there at the same time. It is wheelchair accessible, with a ramp at the front.
We really enjoyed this place and would love to come back with a cooler to be able to take some more of their products.

For the reviewers that say the steaks are tough or the staff is rude you must not have gone to the correct place. The meat is awesome but some folks don't know how to cook so their food comes out like beef jerky and that's a personal problem. The staff is generally 1 person and they are always able to help or answer my questions. A lot of local products. The meet is from the family farm. Meat is priced a bit high for me but that's just my opinion. Great selection.

I'm not sure how hidden this place is but for my History and Art lovers this place is worth a visit. Most of the artistic depictions, interpretations and recreations of historical events are marvelous. Sculptures, paintings and etchings using mix media are crafted in immense detail; when standing afar can appear photographic. An added plus is the American Presidents exhibit were you can see their photos and learn some unique facts about them. Admission is reasonably priced and can be purchased online. Ample parking located across the street. Bistro and Museum Shop located within the facility. Tours are available. Wonderful museum! The entry fee is reasonable at $13 per adult, and there is plenty of free parking. The outdoor sculpture tour is free and takes place in the morning, we missed it unfortunately. There is a funky little kids area on the lowest level with books and things to climb on - we walked through it and thought it was a nice touch. On the main level and upper floor there are numerous galleries. The presidential section with letters was particularly unique to us. We thoroughly enjoyed the blend of Western art and history lessons. There are paintings, sculptures of varying mediums, photographs, clothing, baskets, two coaches, among other art related materials. There is an elevator available as well as stairs. We loved our visit and definitely recommend it!

A wonderful afternoon listening to a country (?) songwriter session with some love music and back story. I had no idea who any of them were but the crowd seemed thrilled and it was an enjoyable experience even for someone who doesn't listen to country music.
Afterwards our group toured the museum itself and were pleasantly surprised. Expectations were exceedingly low because of the geographic location of the museum and it purported speciality of Murican Southwest art. But they were greatly exceeded and this museum could have been located in New Mexico just as easily. Great place to stop.
The main level had pretty standard traditional SW paintings. It was alright. Some good works. Saw a few crazy horse faces.
The downstairs wasn't well marked but it was showcasing a local school(s) exhibit and some of the pieces were wonderful. The formal cats (picture attached) being a highlight of the entire museum. Whoever you are kid, keep up the good work.
The upstairs was really the highlight. Much more modern and various styles of art. The sculptures were old school to crazy. Especially enjoyed the totem with chickens on their heads. The large map of first nations throughout North America was an excellent piece and I hadn't seen it put so well before. The scale and detail made it much easier to recognize the natural and political boundaries of the tribes. It's unfortunate that it is tucked away in the corner behind some clothes pieces as in my opinion it lays the foundation for the entire area in terms of what to expect. Much more expressioned art upstairs and a few more crazy horse faces.
There was a very strange room with Murican presidents painted in a group portrait that was... creepy. I got the jist of what was being went for but it was just weird and not very true to photograph for many of the faces. Apparently it's a working space according to the sign and is incomplete. So perhaps the non-representitve features will be fixed at a later date.
Overall, very excellent experience and hope to be back. There's a supercharger less than 20mins away at the Target too.

Located in Cartersville, Georgia, Tellus Science Museum is a top attraction offering an array of interactive and educational experiences for visitors of all ages. The museum boasts over 120,000 square feet of space dedicated to hands-on science exhibits, including geology displays, fossils, and mineral galleries. Visitors can explore the Weinman Mineral Gallery featuring an extensive collection of minerals, gems, and rocks as well as the Fossil Gallery showcasing a variety of dinosaur fossils.
This is one of my favorite museums. Maybe because I’m a huge Dino fan! They not only have the Dino’s but a big aerospace section. Star Wars fan? They have The Science of Star Wars on May 4th.
Expect to spend 4 hrs or more here! So much to look at and do! Very kid friendly. They have cool interactive things for ages 5 and up to play with and explore.
Clean! Well maintained.
Affordable.
Adults $17
Children $13
Seniors $15

They do sensory friendly weekends. Great for autistic kiddos.
They do special exhibits so you’ll need to check their website for the dates.

This is a great place to bring the family!! If you have kids, there are a ton of things for them to enjoy. If you don't have any and are a kid at heart yourself, then there's tons for YOU to enjoy!! From dinosaurs to old vehicles to minerals to stars! This was a very nice date today.

Excellent experience. Wonderful mix of science, minerals, rocks , vintage cars, motorcycles, and dinosaurs. There are a lot of interactive things for the kids and big kids. Nice café, very clean restrooms and grounds. Planetarium is a must-see experience!

It's definitely worth a visit!! We had a great time, and my 6 year old son loved the interactive area. He could have stayed in there most of the day. The exhibits were large, roomy, and so full of information I know we missed something. The outside walk with the planets was super cool and so were the older large vehicles. The food was poor quality but I didn't expect much. Good snack options. A large parking lot and staff was all over. Recommend a visit!

Our 4 year old loved it! She had a blast panning for gemstones and digging for dinosaur bones. The kids area kept her occupied for well over an hour. Definitely worth visiting!

This museum is beautiful! There is something here for everyone. The kids' interactive areas are updated every so often, so it doesn't get old. We love the fossil digging and gem mining. We learned about dinosaurs, how bicycles work, earthquakes, and much more ! We packed a lunch and ate under a large covered area with picnic tables and restrooms before we went in. I definitely recommend taking advantage of this area as well.

I cannot recommend this place further. We drove 2 hours to get there and it was worth it. Some of the staff was rude, but I know customer service isn't easy. I really enjoyed the gift shop. I bought several geodes. Great parking, convenient bathrooms, cute cafe, plenty of grassland to explore.

Went during the week, picked up our tickets without having to wait. It's amazing seeing the "real" deal as well as replica. Often you can't imagine how big things actually are till you stand right next to them.

Wow! What an experience. This spacious museum showcases gems, fossils, and an interactive children's area. Not only can you see and touch gems and fossils, but you can mine your own gems and dig for a fossil! I had a blast here, even with kids running all over the place. It offers so much information and a great gift shop at the entrance. They also offer dining with great prices!

One of the best Museums I have come across! A single day is not enough, luckily got the membership pass. Plus the membership is part of ASTC, which gives entry to several other museums! How cool is that! The hands on activities- gem panning, fossil dig - super awesome! Kids couldn’t get enough of it. The pendulum at the entrance - we spent 10-15 mins at the pendulum watching it in action and visited again - equating the hours passed to the fallen blocks - fun thing to do. All exhibits were amazing, especially the mineral and amber one. The movie dome is really good too. Half a day wasn’t enough, still left lot to cover, will be going back again in spring or summer !

We loved this museum! I wish we lived closer. We could have spent hours on each exhibit. Everyone commented on panning for fossils so we had to check it out. You get to find and keep one fossil each. What a treasure. I was found of the minerals and gems as well. So many beautiful things to learn and admire about earth. And the family zone with physical and hands on activities were perfect for my elementary aged child. Honestly, there was so much to see and many thing to touch, it is appropriate for all ages. If we get a chance to come again we will also check out a film too. I highly recommend visiting and spending a whole day here.

The museum is almost a 5! It needs a bit more pizazz. I am an avid museum goer and I enjoyed it. I do have an annual pass!
I think for young young kids there is a bit more in the play area - I didn’t explore that area. I think it could offer a bit more for teens and up.
I think it would also be cool if they embraced the area a bit more and had some full time exhibits about farm science.
The stones exhibit is amazing! Had so much fun! D
There is a small restaurant and it is pretty much like every museum restaurant.
The gift shop is fun and has items for kids and adults.
The outside area is fun to walk around and offers additional exhibits that are fun. There are also outdoor areas for picnics!
100% worth a visit!

A big science museum not that far from Atlanta. Great place to take kids to. Spend about 3-4 hours easily. Many things to do with knowledgeable and fun staff around. They are known for their planetarium. Kids wouldn’t leave the gem exhibit. They have so much fun there.

I can't say enough good things about this venue! I planned and coordinated a wedding at Science Tellus Museum on Sept 30, 2023 for 130 people. The combination of the outside ceremony and an indoor reception near the large dinosaur was unique and exciting. Meagan Black was my contact and she did an amazing job! She was very responsive with excellent communication and executed the floorplan with different variations. Meagan was hands on, day of and offered her services when needed. This a fantastic venue and a memorable location for any event. And the guests really enjoyed the different exhibits! I also love that there is ample parking. If you need a wonderful venue, I suggest you consider Science Tellus Museum!

Incredible science museum that is suitable for all ages. Today we took our 3 year old grandson, who loves dinosaurs, to visit Tellus Science Museum. We were a little hesitant as he is young, and we were not sure if he would find most of the exhibits interesting. He was beside himself, he enjoyed every moment of our 3 hour visit especially the dinosaurs, the fossil and gem finds, the big trucks and the backyard area. If you have children, grandchildren or if you have any interest in science yourself, Tellus will not disappoint.

Highly recommend! Had to go for a science fair for kids and it was amazing. I mean I was blown away. I love the fossils and atmosphere. They have a lot of things that you can explore. I would probably suggest bringing food and eating it outside because the cafeteria didn't have much to offer and a little pricey. I'll definitely go again!!!
JEWEL LUMPKIN — Google review
I am very impressed with this museum. A majority of the exhibits in this museum are very kid friendly! They can touch real fossils, pan for gems, dig for bones and they even let you take what they find home for keeps. My kids had so much fun here, and there was so much for them to see.
The gift shop has something for all ages, especially gifts and keepsakes for kids that are under a dollar!
I recommend you check with your bank or employer and check if they participate with free museum days, save yourself an adult price ticket. Regardless, the price of admission is reasonable, considering how much this museum has to offer.
Even the outside of the museum has a reduced scale model of our solar system that you can walk and see how far each planet is from the sun. Tellus did not disappoint 😎 @tellusmuseum

I took my son who was off of school. He had a great time learning about dinosaurs, geology, rocks, and physics. His bedroom at home is all space, so he loved all the astronaut and space stuff. We took in a Planetarium show on the Eclipse. It was so much fun and a great museum.

Kids had a blast! Pigs, chickens, ducks running around, puppies, baby goats, horses and donkeys. Run by Donations only, people were so welcoming, gave kids apple slices, Zucchini, carrots etc to feed animals. We spent roughly an hour here, kids would have stayed all day. 7$ per person Donation includes food for you to feed animals. Very nice day.

Call to check schedule . We almost drove out on a weekday that they are closed on. Anyway, we arrived and immediately was happy to see many friendly animals welcoming us! A few ducks and a donkey:) Went into the barn and was really excited to see the variety of animals! The owner was busy cutting food so we could all feed the animals She was super friendly and was working hard to keep everyone happy. We made our way to all the animals inside and out and fell in love with all them. She had a dog with a noticeable disability but you would never know it because he was so happy and in a loving place ! I have the utmost respect for all they do here for these animals . It was amazing if you love ( as we do) animals you MUST go.

What an awesome place that offers a unique experience. We visited Build an Ark while staying at the Coosawattee River Resort during our annual family vacation. My daughter enjoyed feeding all the different animals. She was able to feed more animals here than she has ever been able to at any petting zoo type of place.
It’s truly a great thing what this place is doing for the animals in their care. The staff is very friendly and it’s obvious they’re passionate about the work they’re doing. I definitely recommend visiting!

For our suburban family, this was a very unique opportunity to get up and close with many farm animals. We were visiting the lake and mountains for our annual vacation and came across this place in things to do in nearby towns. Well worth the drive for us. We made a donation and were given a good sized bucket of food to feed to the animals. Some were freely roaming the farm.I especially loved the piggy. Everyone made a great memory that afternoon. Please read the history and building of the Ark if you visit.

Sprawling park with camping & hiking trails, plus an old fort, lake with a beach & horseback riding.
We visited Fort Mountain State Park recently and we had a wonderful time. Since we have visited all 56 Tennessee State Parks we thought we would visit Georgia State Parks. We are glad we went here. We enjoyed seeing the 4 story look out tower. It was a hike to it but not to hard. There is a lot of history here and several plaques are placed so we could read them. From the tower we hiked to the over look. Wow. This has amazing views here. We also drove around the park and we saw a nice lake and campground. There is another trail that goes to a waterfall which is nice. Overall great experience. Can't wait to go back.

We enjoyed an afternoon at Fort Mountain State Park by just taking a few short walks in the forest looking at the view and see wild flowers. There is a nice welcome center with clean restrooms. Plenty of camping spots for tents and they have cabin rentals. It is open year round.

Really nice State Park. The trails are well maintained but they are not for someone that has leg or hip issues. The trail at the lake is the only flat trail in the park and is a really nice easy walk. These pictures are from the start of the Gahuti trail and a shot of the trail itself. Picture doesn't do it justice on how quickly it descends down the mountain. This is supposedly a mountain bike trail. Good luck with that.

Lots of hiking trail options with markers, signs, and information boards along the way. Great lookout areas and spots to see amazing wild flowers. There is a stone wall and fire watchtower on the trail me and my babe choose to hike. They have several spots to have a nice picnic or even a quick snack and water break. There are camping sites and I believe possible cabins here as well. Being honest other then knowing they are there, I've got no other information about camping or cabins. I definitely recommend this place for hiking and views though.

We went on a quiet Friday afternoon and the trails were nicely sparse. Cool springs overlook is a paved less than 5 minute stroll to a beautiful overlook looking at the east side of the Chattahoochee national Forest. We hopped back in our vehicle and made a short quick drive up further and went up to the West overlook where the Stone Tower trail also is. The trails are yellow blazer and after you walk about 15 minutes you will come to a Y. Taking the left to the West overlook. It's beautiful. Altogether it's a easy/moderate 25 minutes to the West overlook, but I would not want to be on the trail when it's wet as it's somewhat rocky and rooty There's an impressive series of stairs and deck cantilevered over the lookout. Overall very nice trails.

What a nice place to bring the kids to swim and have some fun. Bring a lunch and some drinks. You can just chill out on the beach or do some boating very relaxing! They have bathrooms and a snack bar. They are remodeling a building there. I'm not sure what it was, but it's big. Enjoy

We had a good time exploring just a small part of this park. We hiked to an overlook, the tower, and the stone wall. Our trail wasn't too long, moderately challenging, and well marked. The park is pretty well maintained. There were other hikes near a lake it looks like as well as much longer hikes, bike, and horse trails. Wish we had time for more.
Paul and Lillian Bruns — Google review
What a peaceful and beautiful place!! This whole campground is nice as a while but compared to other state campgrounds this one doesn't get much attention. The roads throughout are in need of some repairs!
Only one washer and dryer for the whole place, if you're staying lakeside you have to go to the other campground. The yellow papers hanging have been there for 3-4 days and still all the old campers are hanging there. There are electric panel covers hanging with 1 hinge and going to get rain in them. Not one sighting of any of the hosts.
The older couple that cleans the bathrooms do a fantastic job and the bathhouses are super clean.
The Putt Putt ( which needs some attention), paddle boat rental and concession at the lake is only open from Thursday -Sunday which is a bummer.
The staff in the front office are very polite and helpful.
One huge negative is the lack of wifi or cell service of any kind, which some campers may prefer.
The playground for the kids is very nice with plenty of swings and slides, the rock wall is a nice touch!
We will definitely come back.

I would like to start off by saying that we love Fort Mountain. We both grew up in the north Georgia mountains and every time we go home we generally will stay at one of the cabins. This time when we went the cabins had been renovated and they were awesome, however we did not get there until 4:30 PM and the office closes at 5:00 PM. We got checked in and went to the cabin, we stayed in cabin 3. The place looked great. However it soon turned into something else. We had booked the cabin for 3 nights, as we were bring our food and items into the cabin, I noticed these blue pellets on the floor in the kitchen in front of the fridge and the cabinets. Then when I looked in the trash I saw that it had not been emptied out and there was roach trap boxes in there, plus other trash. We determined that the pellets was rat poison. When we were getting ready for bed I turned on the water to brush my teeth and it was brown, not like a little iron brown either. This reminded me of the water in south Georgia in the Okefenoke Swamp! We used our bottled water to brush our teeth. The next morning we went to the visitor center to check out as we were not going to stay in a place that had rat poison scattered in the kitchen floor, roach traps and brown water. The last time we stayed in he cabins everything was fine. The park manager tried to tell us that the water had iron in it. We have iron in our water too, but not swamp water. We won't be staying there again.

Fort Mountain State Park is a beautiful park and may have been the nicest campsite we have had in a state park. The site was nicely laid out and very level. The comfort station was clean and the camp hosts were great. The staff at the Visitor Center were cordial and very helpful. The trails were great even when challenging for some of my more tired joints. We loved sitting by our fire and hiking the trails. I can't way enough about this amazing park.
Bill Bowers — Google review
Very beautiful, peaceful and family friendly environment. No good signal just several spots in the campground and overlook right outside the park. Big rig that is over 40’ will need more experience to locate as the roads between sites are narrow and up and down, we stayed at site #66 that is not very easy in but very easy out. Over all we very much enjoyed our 5 day staying here.

Fort Mountain is our ‘go to’ camping spot. We have frequented the park many times over the last few years and have enjoyed all seasons of camping there. The bath houses are clean and well maintained, the campsites are mostly shaded and private. We love the lake loop and beach. The cabins are amazing for families with grandparents who don’t like to camp. We also love seeing the bears!

This park had amazing views. Loved the plaques of information. While Hiking up. Great time spent with my family. Being a slow time of year there was no ranger at the entrance. There were parking passes and a drop box to pay using the honor system. Both at the gate and restrooms.

Love this place and highly recommend for anyone visiting Ellijay, GA. Winding road up is winding in some places offering great photo ops, especially in the fall, peak being late October into November. Park with lake is very picturesque. Can rent paddle boats to go around lake. Can rent cabins or bring RV camper to camp grounds, children's playground, picnic area, and pet friendly.

It is a big park and the sites are so well placed that you dont feel crowded at all. Of course that is easy for me to say because it was sort of cole and wet so there were not many campers around. The hiking was good. We did 3 trails, one of which was the waterfall trail and another up to the tower.

We visited for the annual candlelight tour which commemorates Chief Vann opening up his new house to the nearby Moravian missionaries in celebration of Christmas. It was last night and tonight for this year but I would recommend visiting at any time to learn a little more about Cherokee history prior to the removal. New Echota is about 17 miles south on GA-225 and also very interesting and historical.

I will start out this review by saying it was one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had in my life. The gentleman was older in his 50s or 60s and knew every single answer to the ridiculous questions I asked. It was a very small group just four of us, but last in about 45 minutes
The entire grounds are very well-maintained and there’s an enormous amount of information everywhere. About how life was. Inside the visitor center. The bathrooms are some of the best I have ever used in a state park. Plenty of stuff to buy and so much stuff to learn here. I was absolutely blown away by the amount of information.

We always enjoy visiting the Vann House. This time, they were in the process of decorating for their Christmas candlelit open house. Because of this, no one was able to give of the normal tour. However, we enjoyed seeing the decorations that had been put up, and the workers were able to answer our questions. It should be beautiful by candlelight.

If you like touring historical homes this is perfect. Fantastic restoration/preservation, period accuracy in decoration, and a wonderful staff to guide you thru it all. I can’t recall her name, it started with a C or K, but our tour guide really made this for me. She was enthusiastic and inviting, painting a picture of the lives of the Vann family. Would definitely go again!

Beautiful and rich with Cherokee history the Chief Vann house and grounds is a must stop for anyone interested in the Cherokee Indians. Also learning just how big the Cherokee nation was and how sad because of the Trail of tears round up. Most of the highway taken to the Vann house is the original route of the Trail of tears.
This This for outdoor adventure rafting staff: Daniel Christopher, not Daniel tardy, is the greatest guide yall have! It was amazing! He was born to do that job! Great skills. Rafted on 7-10-23 with my family. We have done rafting before in Colorado and have always enjoyed it, but this was the best time ever. The river is great because of constant action, and our guide Jon was phenomenal. We took the more adventurous line on a number of the rapids and then would go back and surf some of them. He was constant energy. We got to the last two rapids and he asked if we wanted to take the road less traveled, noting that you could get tossed from the raft. We chose that and all five of us went for a swim. It was awesome. Highly recommend. If you can get Jon, you will have the best time.

Highly recommend for rustic camping, whitewater rafting, and tubing trips.
It’s a quiet place to camp which I love. Sits right on the lower Ocoee and has great tubing trips for people with young children or who want a relaxing day. They also offer Middle and Full river trips if whitewater rafting is your style. They have trips running every day the river is on for tubing and whitewater rafting.
They have a large campground great for camping off grid, tents, or car camping. Lots of hot showers, and ample restroom facilities. Nice store for tshirts, memorabilia, and snacks.
If you prefer a cabin, they have plenty of those, and specialize in large groups.
Family friendly environment. Outfitter was taken under new ownership a little over a year ago (female owned 💕) by a prior employee. The improvements to the facilities and equipment in a year are commendable and I highly encourage visiting this outfitter.

Highly recommend this outfitter! I'm sure that all of the guides are great, but our guide Brett is amazing! He really knows his stuff! Highly recommend asking for Brett when you go ... you'll be doing some fun tricks in the rapids that you may not necessarily get to do with other guides. You'll get to practice "surfing" on the downstream of some rapids, "bull ride", spins, etc. Brett is very personable and hilarious..... he really works hard to see that his guests have fun. Brett and this outfitter are very safe ... thorough safety briefings and instructions, and safe equipment in excellent condition.

I camped at OAR for 7 nights over a two week period. Their accommodations are fantastic. A quick walk to the bathroom & showers make camping a joy. They have several cabins, but I was camping. I was impressed with their Guide's knowledge and rafting skills. As a first time White water rafter, I was at ease with their captains at the helm. I did more than one trip. OAR has access to a great location just below the dam, for tubing. On my relaxing day, I tubed down with a group. I saw several groups, churches, schools and familys tubeing while I was there, everyone having a blast. I also used my paddleboard to launch at that same spot to go down river. It was fun , not too rough, and beautiful. This will always be my first stop as I leave Florida for fun

We were able to float down the river in a raft instead of a tube, and they provided dry vests to help keep us warm and dry. Tyler was super positive the entire time and even helped keep my daughter entertained with her videography skills. Tyler has a lot of knowledge and experience on the river and I would highly recommend him for as a guide for any whitewater rafting or float down the river.

Memorable day on the Ocoee River with OAR. We had a great time and got to experience some giant rapids. Our guide knew the river well and kept us safe, while also picking the right lines in the water to catch some intense rapids. My favorite rafting trip so far.

We had a wonderful time tubing! I'm horrible names, but I believe one of the kids said our guide's name was Sarah. Anyhow, she was awesome! She had a great sense of humor and they all did a great job of making sure we avoided obstacles along the river. This was only our second time tubing, and we had a few children(ages 10-15) with our group this time, but we were able to relax more knowing that the guides were there to keep everyone safe.

My wife and I went on the 5 mile trip with my brother and sister and spouses. We had an absolute blast...we will be back! The guides were all fun and informative. We had Sam as our guide, he was great. We all felt safe with him guiding us. Next time we're probably going to do the 10 mile paddle, thank you OAR and staff for a great day on the river!

We had a fantastic tubing adventure with Sarah yesterday. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and patient as she helped our little group down the calm river journey. My senior citizen mother had hurt her wrist earlier and couldn’t paddle well, and Sarah was great with bumping her to keep her on track. From ages 10 to 68, all three generations loved this tubing excursion!

My friend raved about the experience, and I had high expectations going in. The front desk treated me like a lifelong friend, and I felt super excited about the rest of the day. We loaded on the bus and the guides squeezed in for the 30 minute ride. Instead of relaxing, they entertained, engaged, and made us feel important. To me, this was going the extra mile that sets them apart because small details matter. The river was raging, gnarly was the word we heard often, and our guide, CAVEMAN, beemed with experience and a desire to make sure we were having a blast. He didn't disappoint! There wasn't a moment I didn't enjoy and that included being thrown out on "Slice and Dice." I left feeling I have friends for life and a new returning trip for my family.

We had a fantastic time this past weekend with Dawson on the half day Oconee river rafting trip! It was most of our group’s first time whitewater rafting, and Dawson made sure that we were safe but also had an amazing time! Everyone at Cherokee Rafting was very friendly, and we’ll definitely be back.

Despite the delay of traffic observing the Ocoee River, the adrenalin of the Family was with mixed feelings for this year's family adventure. However it was FABULOUS!!!! Ages 21-82. Our wonderful guides were Aaron & Katie. Both of them are extremely talented and knowledgeable about the River and surrounding area.
In addition the entire staff of Cherokee Rafting are amazing. The facilities were clean and the showers are Warm. What we thought would be the Last annual family Rafting adventure now has all of us considering the possibility of having Aaron & Katie taking the family on the Full Ocoee River Adventure. The Oldest that stated "Last Rafting Adventure " beforehand is now changing his decision on The Last adventure. Words can not express how much attention to details the staff takes to insure your family safety and of course MEMORIES of your amazing adventure on the Ocoee River. Cherokee Rafting and staff again THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE AND ADVENTURE.

Had a great time on the full river trip with guide Kat. There didn't seem to be much difference in reviews between rafting companies so chose this outfitter partially because of the 8:00am start time. We were done, clothes changed and leaving by 2:00pm, making it possible to get back to Memphis after finishing the trip. Be prepared to spend another $15-20/person for tip and about $55/boat ($10-$15/person) for photos. Photos are taken from the right river bank, so put the photogenic members of your crew on the right side of the boat and then have fun!

I took a crew of 6 friends for a full day rafting event. We had a wonderful time, and had enough time left in our day to get home for out of town at a reasonable hour. Our guide, Nick, made it easy to work with him, and gave us a fantastic experience. I highly recommend using Cherokee Rafting for your next rafting trip on the Ocoee!

Guide Hendley was absolutely amazing. Owner Laura and her husband upgraded our experience and made it a very special day.
Never rafted before and he was an excellent teacher. Patient but still put us through some 4 ranking spots. Can’t say enough- if you’ve never done it - go. If you have - go again.

We once again loved our trip to the Ocoee River. The experience is amazing because of Cherokee Rafting and their dedication to folks having fun while prioritizing safety. The guides are well trained and do a fantastic job. We enjoy bringing our Church Youth Group every summer. You will not be disappointed with these guys!

The trip: the day consisted of a training video, bus ride to launch, rafting and a bus ride back to Cherokee rafting.
The experience: Our guides made this experience a family memory we’ll never forget.
-Katie: Hands down the most knowledgeable guide I’ve ever met. Safety was her first priority. She knew every single inch of the river like the back of her hand. She provided fun facts during the trip as well as a plethora of local knowledge. Thank you Mrs. Katie!
-Laura: The gorgeous gal with the guns…Laura rode in our boat and helped my special needs son stay on task. She helped him stay on cadence with his paddling, ensured he was properly situated in the raft and demonstrated more patience and kindness than we could have hoped possible. Thank you Mrs. Laura!
-Fawn: total badass. Fawn was the guide for the boat in front of us and I watched her work her tail off keeping her crew off the rocks and safely down the river. You’re an all star Mrs. Fawn!
Thank you Cherokee Rafting for helping make a lasting family memory.

LOVE this experience! I first did rafting with Cherokee 7 years ago & just did it again this past week! They have swim shoes, merch, sunglasses, all available for purchase before or after your trip as well, which we took advantage of!
We had Madeline as our guide and she was fantastic as well! Will definitely use Cherokee again next time we're in the area!

What an awesome and exciting experience! From the minute you pull in you just feel a very cool vibe come over you. The campsites are spaced out enough to have you a little privacy but still close enough where you can get to know your neighbors. The rafting was phenomenal, in my group we had some very experienced rafters and some that it was their first time on a raft.Trey was our guide and he did a great job making sure we knew the smart way to do things and made sure everyone was comfortable with any extra excitement that the water had in store for us. Everyone had a enjoyable and super fun trip, with everyone saying that we would be back to do bigger and more intense rapids next time. 10 outta 10 I recommend this to anyone in the area. We came from South East Georgia, practically Florida, and we will definitely be back with more friends! Oh and make sure ypu check out The Bus for awesome food, drinks and live music!!

Our trip to Adventures Unlimited was wonderful. We did not come to experience the adventure of whitewater rafting. Instead, we came to enjoy the accommodations and the beauty of nature. We booked online and upon our arrival I wish we had booked a camping spot as well. It’s a great location, spread out and quiet despite being close to the road.
There’s a bar and grill on the property, sand volleyball court, and the bathrooms are equipped with restrooms and separate showers.
Our guide was Connor, he was a good guide and made the experience fun and memorable. The only complaint I have if any is that we had a boat with some teenagers who were more focused on talking and screaming at every splash of water. I’m used to the guide placing the more experienced paddlers up front and back.
All in all it was a good trip and would recommend them.

By far the best experience over all. My wife and I took our 14 year old white eater rafting for their first times. Our guide was Pink. He is a whole mood. Taught our daughter how to guide the raft. Such a great spirit. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. The energy was amazing and the water was beautiful. Great people, great vibes, 10/10. We WILL be back because this staff is TOP NOTCH. Not to mention the bus driver..He drove so amazing I felt MORE comfortable driving the mountains in my own vehicle after riding with him. It was awesome. Just do it. You will not regret it. BIG thanks to all of you. ❤️

I visited for an Ocoee rafting trip and camping. I must have lucked out and gotten the best guide, because Sarah was amazing! The lines she took us down were perfect, and when we wanted to surf features, she knew how to get us onto the wave and spin around into front, side, and back surfs. She was a lot of fun, and kept us all safe too. I highly recommend her.
I tent camped after the rafting trip. I was a little concerned before I got there about the idea of an on site restaurant/bar, but it wasn't an issue. The property is large enough that even with a live band playing, it wasn't loud near the campsites. Plus, it's nice to have food options without having to drive anywhere. I hear from fellow campers that the grilled cheese was a wonderful snack before hitting the water.

Jimmy was incredible! The best guide we have ever had. This was our friends first rafting experience and she was happy screaming the whole way down. He made it so fun not only for her but also the rest of us. He made it an experience instead of just a trip. I know he helps with other aspects of the business but please keep him guiding.

I rented a campsite and pitched my tent. Great location. Plenty of spots for a tent and trees to hang your Eno. Jules the manager is awesome - I forgot my pillow and she loaned me an extra they had. Good food and drinks at the Bus so you don’t have to drive anywhere if you don’t want. The bath house was simple but very clean and is all you need. Now they do have live music some Saturday nights I think, but they stopped at midnight when I was there. I enjoyed it but if you want a little more quiet late night on a Saturday then maybe not the spot for you. But wasn’t loud at the campsite area as band is on the other side of the building. A great place overall and more than I expected, and I’d recommend it to anyone needing a spot to camp. Plus hit em up and let them take you rafting down the Ocoee while staying with them and save driving to other outfitters!

This is the best white water rafting tour around!! We have now gone a few times and every time has been an incredible adventure story lol. Shelley is the best guide ever hands down! But all of the guides there are amazing an experienced. You feel excited and safe and having fun all at the same time. They start out by giving you an intro class and teach you how to do the paddles etc. Then you board the bus and ride down to the entrance at the river. The lunch they serve is pretty good too and they even offer a veggie option. There is also a really fun part before lunch where you swim and float down the river. The water gets colder as the season ends, we went the second time on last day of the season. But what an incredible ride. The first time we conquered the Godzilla rapid was unreal and the second time too. If you stay on the raft or if you flip you will be well prepared and it will be an adventure of a lifetime. We cannot wait to go back next year! They also take pictures the entire time so you have the option to buy one or all of them at the end. Team Kenny!

Me and my group thoroughly enjoyed our time. We went after 3pm which seems is the best time of day for the rapids. Our guide was Dean and he was spectacular. He's a lead guide and knows all the great rapids and key spots in the river. He also know many tricks with the raft that made the experience that much better. He also had great conversation and kept the first timers calm yet brought them out their shells. I highly recommend and ask for Dean!
