Had a blast for fright fest this Saturday. Paid for tickets on the app and got a discount. Paid extra for the haunted houses but did not get to see them because the lines were too long. Surprisingly the lines moved semi fast. We stayed from 2-10pm. Spent $160 something for two adults. There were haunted houses, a concert, several shows and monsters walking around taking pictures with families.
They went all out with the decor and costumes. I wish both funnel cake stands were open because the lines can get crazy but October is a great time to go. The weather was perfect. I usually go during the summer so I’ll most definitely be back. I go every couple of years. My mom was pregnant with me working for Six Flags so I’m excited to see them progress with new rides and renovations.

Overall very enjoyable experience, ride lineup is stellar with highlights such as Twisted Cyclone and Goliath. The park is on the more scenic side for a Six Flags and for the most part was very well kept. As per any park, try avoiding holidays and weekends if you want lower crowds, but even some days in later summer are pretty empty. Would love to see a launch coaster in the future of this park but overall have a great time on my visits here!

What a great Theme Park! I was visiting my family in Atlanta and we decided to spend some fun time here. I lived in Orlando, so I am a regular at the local parks here, so I have my standards (LOL). I was very impressed with the park's layout and all the amenities it has to offer. The ticket prices are very reasonable as long as you buy them online. The price for parking is extremely expensive. More than Universal or WDW in FL. So I highly recommend car pooling or having someone drop you off. There are private parking lots in the vicinity that will charge you less, but get ready for a long walk if you do that. The rides were great, plenty of entertainment for both adults and children and there are plenty of places to grab a bite or two. The Metropolis area was great. I'm a DC / Marvel fan so that was my favorite part of the park. We were there for about 7 hours and still had about 1/2 the park to enjoy. I will definitely return as early as they open to enjoy all the park has to offer. Oh....before I forget. There is also a Water Park in there, so you might need two days to enjoy the full experience.

This was my first time at the Six Flags Park...
I had a good time, though I could not enjoy none of the regular rides cause I'm pregnant... Not even the kids rides I could ride!😱😅... (I was only able to ride the train😅) Not sure if it's cause people before me have break'n safety rules or such... But I would like to recommend for y'all to create something, pregnant women can at least ride without worries about hurting their unborn child or for the other conditions that were shown on the board... Though I must give a shout out... "Thank you for those safety boards as well!!!" Cause they sure did give heads up on who can run a risk if going on the ride/s... I for sure, did not want to run any risks! My child's safety is way more important then any ride! So, thank you!
To anyone who sees this... My husband had fun on all the rides he was able to get on and the day was hot but worth it.
Enjoy and have fun!🥰

Be ready to get your steps in because it's a lot of walking. This large amusement park has everything here. We went on the first day of Fright Fest and they have plenty of scary creatures raoming around. It's best if you purchase a season pass to get discounts on food and merchandise. I haven't been here in years but several of the rides have closed but all of the fun major ones are open. I was glad the lines were not long, so the wait time for the rides were under five minutes. It is still pricey. We spent close to $100 on food for three people. They have plenty of games to play and take your money...lol It was several security people walking around so that made me feel safe. Overall we had a good time and the staff was great and helpful.

We had a great time! Six flags was so much fun and lines were not too long. We stayed for the day and got to ride almost everything we wanted. The Staff were helpful and friendly. We went for Halloween fest!

I haven’t been in about 18 years, but I took my kids for the first time. They had a blast. Everyone was friendly, facilities were clean. Not too crowded. I spent way too much money on souvenirs and concessions but I knew that going in. Lots of great memories- we’ll be back!

This is my 2nd favorite Six Flags park. They have a wide variety of rides and coasters. The food was pretty good at both places we ate. Overall operations were running well. There were quite a few rides closed for the day. We went yesterday, Sunday May 5th and the longest we stood in line was 10 minutes so it was a great day to go.
Will Gausman — Google review
Great fun! Recommended for roller coaster lovers! Just wished all the rides were open - one of the wooden roller coasters was not in operation today. We were fortunate to come on a day with hardly any queues. Maybe because it is Mother's Day.

Great place for a family. Such a nice variety of thrill and family rides. Being from Charlotte, with Carowinds, this park has something that is very important... TREES!!! The shade was amazing. I loved the mix of water rides (flume, monster mansion, rafting) with unique coasters (dive coaster, hybrid, etc). Wish we lived a bit closer. We got there when it opened and closed it down!
John Abrahamson — Google review
Huge amusement park with rides for all ages! Tons of shade and benches all around. Lots of security walking around and keeping the place safe.
We bought a discounted season pass over memorial day weekend, and the kids and I have been 5 times in the last 2 weeks this summer. It has been amazing!
Great water park too!
Get the season drink cup, unlimited refills all day and all season long.

Visiting Georgia with kids (or without them) this is a must. Enjoying is guaranteed with lot of different roller coasters, you will find your preferred one for sure (mine is Superman Ultimate Flight, but Dare Devil and Batman are also in my first position's list). The pass with all day dinner is a valuable option if you plan to spend the whole day.
Jesus Jimenez — Google review
Very big amusement park. A lot of thrill rides and kids rides are available. We got an annual pass which is really a good deal. Kids enjoyed the monster mansion!
Since its a Halloween time, we enjoyed the Fright Fest event. Totally we had a thrilling experience.
Vasantharajan Thangaraj — Google review
This place is so damn expensive and most of the rides were shut down ( which didn't effect me too much since I'm too tall for most of the rides). And no one enforces the no cutting in line rule. That said, my kids had fun but 4 hours of fun wasn't worth 500 bucks
Gregory Vance (David) — Google review
Like every Six Flags I've ever been to several of the best rides weren't open because of undisclosed reasons. Several rides also shut down intermittently through the day.
Online food ordering is spotty and only at a few locations for some reason. The app in general is pretty lacking, with poorly readable maps, bad GPS fixes and lots of missing or not working other features, like wait times.
There are a lot of really good rides at this six flags. Goliath is fantastic if for no other reason than its size. The way it is out all on its own is really cool as well, making it seem like the drops are higher and more dramatic.
The Riddler and Batman were both fun rides when they were working, and we enjoyed going on each twice. Unfortunately, numerous rides were closed while we were there, so we missed out on a lot.
We have a membership, so parking was free, but otherwise its $25. If you get drinks without the refill cups be aware half the time there are no lids or straws, so you're just carrying around a large open drink.
Rob Sterner — Google review
Much better than expected!
Purchased a Summer Pass for the family on our road-trip and visited in late June. Very reasonable prices. With the Summer Pass, we can now hit up the park again on the return leg of our trip.
To our surprise the lines were not too long at all - some even walk-on.
The park is nicely spread out on some hilly terrain (so be prepared for some slopes to navigate as you walk) that the crowds were never gathering in one section.
Park was clean and the employees were nice.
I personally liked that some ride attendant gave time limits for you to stash your stuff (if needed) and be in your seat. It made to lines much more efficient.
Many places that you can purchase drinks also kindly gave out cups of ice water at no charge, to help keep you hydrated.
Kevin Malko — Google review
Loved it! All the employees were so kind and helpful anytime I had a question. The lines were not over crowded.. we had so much fun. Im from Dallas Texas and I miss the six flags back home in Arlington . But this six flags definitely gave me some memories of my childhood.. we're planning on going back again soon.. this time with more family and friends ❤️

Attended with family of 6. Got there around 1pm on Saturday (7/29). Overall OK experience. Entering the park was pretty quick. Would recommend buying your tickets in advanace. Things I expected - long lines and the heat - so no negative for those. It is the middle of summer. What I didn't expect was for four of the refill stations we went to for drinks to be out of ice. Filling up on hot drinks in the heat was a negative for me. Also, four of the rides we waited in line for, we ended up leaving due to maintenance issues with the rides. One line we waited for over almost an hour only to have to leave the line. Next time definitely will come with VIP passes and also during a not so crowded time of the year. I did search for turkey legs and could not find any😒. Park for the most park was clean, which is a big plus. Overall, I would come back.

Took the family for the Fright Fest Shenanigans and Pink out Celebration for my Mom! We all wore pink and had an absolute blast. Everyone from staff who recognized the #BeatThePink colors we all wore, were very celebratory towards our visit. Although, some of the food was not good for the prices, we made it an awesome visit. Lots of walking but well worth it.
April Williams — Google review
Overall a good time. Kids had fun. This park is very much a thrill ride kind of place, and didn't feel like it was much in between.
I highly suggest getting there 30 minutes before the park opens, as it sometimes opens early, and this means getting a few rides in while the park is nearly empty.
If you live local, the season passes are a great value and can provide additional benefits. But, while my kids may enjoy that option I was bored within a few hours.
I honestly wish they ran more trams from the parking lot, as the hike to and from the parking lot leaves an easy to deliver bookended experience after a long day of hiking around the park.

Our family has been to the one in St Louis a few times. We decided to try another one. Wow! Not to be rude to our St Louis one but Georgia kicked it's butt! The staff was super friendly, tons of rides and things to do, every ride had a place to set bags instead of having to use a locker. The entire place was clean and just so much fun!
Fein Cirillo — Google review
Great experience on March 30th. Park wasn’t too crowded and we were able to breeze through lines. 4 stars because a few rides were closed and the food options are limited and very expensive. Rides were fast and fun though!!
Corey Marcel — Google review
My experience was not pleasant. purchase tickets in advance, food, photos and fast pass. The only thing I enjoyed was the fast pass and the Christmas activity.
They never redeemed the food for the entire day, just the one meals, I have never received the photos and I ask repeatedly to the person at the gate entrance. I wrote to them and only received an apology.
If you go buy the passes and the fast pass that saves you a lot of time because the park is very large for the time they have it open. Not worth it. Is a waste of time and money.
Sue H. Sanabria — Google review
We have been coming to this park for over 40 years. This is our first time coming during the Christmas holidays. There was more security than in the summertime. There were fewer rides open, but the crowds were smaller, and the lines were pretty short. Our family really enjoyed all the beautiful Christmas lights.
Nanny Jam — Google review
Our first time going in the winter. We went on black Friday. We were so happy we went then, it was not busy at all.
At first I was upset because half the park was closed but after a little time we just loved it.
One of the BEST things were the park decorations for Christmas. We wanted to go see the lights at Stone mountain but the price was crazy and we already had seasons passes to six flags. The Christmas were AMAZING, beautiful, delightful, so well done. Great job to the team there that design and decorated.
My kids had a blast which is the most important thing. And I ended up walking much less and spending time in lines due to the lower crowd. We ended up riding Goliath 22 times that day.
What a blast and a new family tradition!

My son and and our cousin had a great time. Both are teenagers so they really enjoyed a superhero theme. I really enjoyed the park.
But I think the food could have been a little better. Is there a defense, They did give you great big portions.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Six flags had become my home away from home. Yes there was an incident opening day but security is now better. Do not be afraid to come and bring family. Can't wait for new coaster.
Clement Clayton — Google review
Great experience on Easter Sunday! Very short lines. Not at all crowded. Or daughter went crazy for her first upside down roller coaster! The azaleas were all in bloom and it was very pretty. Bonus that you can take MARTA to Six Flags (Hamilton E. Holmes to Cobb Linc 30 bus)!
Cashelle Rose — Google review
Best time go get there and have no wait its at 11 am. Start with Gothan city and then everything else. Food is mediocre and pricey, take your own snacks. I do recommend buying the drink cup. Download the app and buy tickets in advance. Please wear deodorant.
The Six Flags White Water water park is spread across 40 acres and offers a wide range of attractions for young kids, including slides and a fantasy tree house. Although the park can get crowded at times with long wait times for rides, visitors can purchase a platinum fast pass to reduce their wait time. Some of the rides may be closed due to maintenance issues but those that are open provide ample entertainment.
We went to the World of illumination. It was absolutely fantastic. The lights were so beautiful and went so well to the music that they played. We did not wait too long when we were going through the line to enter and we literally went two days before they were ending the light show. We also got the four pack 3-D glasses Which some of the kids enjoyed but some of them didn’t like them they just wanted to watch them without the 3-D glasses. Definitely doing this again next year.
Aretha Langley — Google review
Went on opening day May 8.2021...and I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED....50 percent of the rides are closed...it looks like corona virus hit the park....food suck....had an overall better experience at sixflags. Same rides as when i was a teenager...smh...
Update got season passes this year 2022 thinking it would be better. As soon as you walk In park 4 rides closed and that's just walking in some been closed for seasons. Then I came to park today 5/8 and park was closing at 5pm when it clearly states it would closed at 7pm on site. Operational manager need to do a better overall job. This will be my last year coming here and purchasing a season pass. Disappointed!

We absolutely love this place!!! I recommend buying the flash pass!! The 1st day without flash pass we only ride 6 rides the next day with flash pass we ride a 100 times!! Just be careful because peons get abbey when you ride 4 times while they have been in line an hour but hey you got to pay to play 😁😉 we enjoyed the tornado the most and the python plunge!! I will warn you hours have changed they close at 6 during week which I want told when I bought flash pass at 3 so that upset me but this park is awesome with great employees not rude at all!! A few rides are closed and the lazy river because they don't have enough employees 🙄 😒 come on kiddos go to work!!
Justin Lasiter — Google review
I took the kids today and they had a blast. Our 1st time. Plenty to do for young kids! We went on a Wednesday, it wasn't extremely packed but the lines were really long. We just decided to buy the platinum fast pass. So we were able to get on all the slides with a 5 or 10 minute wait. Fast pass definitely worth it for the few slides that were open. One of the slides conveyor belt did break while we were in line so we didn't get a chance to ride it. They did have a lot of slides closed but the slides we did get on were sooo fun. With the fast pass we were able to get on a second time. Overall we enjoyed ourselves. Hopefully next time we come they have all the slides open.
Courtney J — Google review
5 stars for value, I mean seriously where else can you have fun for $60/person for whole season.
4 stars for the number of attractions available during our visits, many of them are not available due to insufficient life guards they said.
3 stars for maintenance, pools aren't too clean. Leaves and debris. Some deferred maintenance can be seen like cracked pavement, dull and chipped paints and more. Far from say water parks in Florida which are well maintained.
We had a great time though.
Rays Ofsun — Google review
It’s worth the price. Lots to do for all ages. Renting a cabana was 100% worth every penny!!! It was great to have a guaranteed place to come back to to relax, cool off, and know that our valuables were safe. We kept the 2 sides zipped and opened the front and back- with the ceiling fan on, it gave nice air flow and kept us cool. The cabana has a table and 4 chairs in the shade, plus 2 lounge chairs in the sun, but they can me moved where you need them while in the cabana.
The wave pool and kiddie area pool have a lot of chlorine (for obvious reasons) and it irritated my face- a quick rinse with plain water from the bathroom sink really helped. A little disappointed that only a few of the slides were open. (Maybe that was because it was so late in the season?) still had fun, though and stayed the entire time they were open! There is something for everyone of all ages. They have a splash pad type area for they very young, and a bigger splash area with a 2’ deep pool for toddlers/preschoolers/ and an area behind that that looked like it would attract elementary school aged kids, and some more exciting slides for older kids and adults. They had some solo slides, and family rides. We would go again!
Amy Herdliska — Google review
We had season passes. We didn't use them more than a few times. Probably half the rides and 2/3 of the restaurants were closed the last time we went, so I don't think we will go again.
Kirsten Thompson — Google review
I wish we could leave a little different review for each item. Half of the attractions were down and I'm sure it's a mixture of maintenance and staffing issues.
Slides going into the children's play pools were closed for maintenance by the looks of it. All the pumps running just to try and keep them clean. The lazy river was closed forcing everyone into the wave pool. Limited staff I'm sure to keep the expenses down and increase profit. The rides that were open were well staffed and went pretty smoothly, one slide that people enjoyed would allow people unable to swim to ride it.
Please if you go to a water park and plan to ride the rides at a bare minimum know how to swim.
Everyone has a good time. Park needs some work but I'm sure in this day in time this could not be built and turn a profit.
Chairs are used by people to stow belongings rather than sit in them. Family's of 10 would take 10 chairs for nothing more than drying their towels.
First time ever going and I'm sure we will be back in the hopes more rides are open and repaired.
David G — Google review
Great park to visit and spend some time with the kids or a date... Definitely splurge for the fast pass if it's in your budget... With few rides wait times can be long...
The music is good and they keep it clean at the park
Christopher Blalock — Google review
We have been visiting World of Illumination lightshows from past few years and its always a fun place to visit with family and friends.
My daughter loves the music synced lights and their music selections.
I highly recommend buying tickets online in advance as this year, we saw them kicking people out since they didn't have tickets and all slots were sold out. Sometimes you'll find tickets in local Costco for a bit cheaper.
Also, I'd recommend you visit this early in Nov, Dec or after Christmas. avoid last few days before Christmas if you don't wann wait in lines for hours.
Vinay Patel — Google review
We had so much fun here!! They have a great selection of slides and attractions, you could easily spend the whole day there. The water was super clean and not too heavy on chemicals. Parking was great as well, and walking in and exiting the parking lot was a breeze.
The one thing that was disappointing is the lack of cleanliness. It looks like the lockers have literally never, ever been cleaned. I didn't feel comfortable touching them at all. You can also expect the food to be expensive. If that matters, definitely bring your own as well as a refillable water bottle.
Overall it's worth the trip and worth coming back!
Allimarie Wallace — Google review
Could give it 4 stars but few rides were closed and feel like area needs more cleanliness.
Went on Saturday and queue was 40-50 minutes for most of the good slides such as TORNADO, DIVE BOMBER, DRAGON TAIL.
You can get chips, pizza, beer, fries inside but no doubt price is on a higher side which is definitely a big drawback.
Overall the full area plus restrooms/changing rooms should be more clean :(. Request to management to take care on this.
Very different rides with easy, medium and difficult levels.
Some are very easy and some really beats your heart high such as DIVE BOMBER, DRAGON TAIL.
Got general ticket online on 50% discount with 34$ each on which tax and processing fee got added so total was more.
Also parking is extra $25.
We got one season pass too which was $50 plus processing fee and tax.
Lockers are there which is again on a higher price and it is $22 each locker.
Arpita ABhatia — Google review
Avoid this water park its a waste of money. Most of the rides are closed, especially the lazy river and all the rides that flow into it, it hasn't been open for over 3 years and their website says nothing about it. That's totally misleading! I understand they probably don't have enough life guards but they have like 6 employees working the parking lot just standing there. I would have all of them trained and make parking free until things were normal. Most parents that come to white water go for the relaxation of the lazy river.
The Millz — Google review
We went on a Sunday and the lines were not long early in the morning which saved us money instead of buying the fast pass. However the long lines started towards the late afternoon. Everything was super fun. The last river was closed which was a bummer. I didn’t like some of those rides required you to take your own water tube up the stairs. I would hope the upgrade all the rides to a mechanical conveyer belt to bring those tubes up to the top.
Brand White — Google review
Park layout is terrible. Especially if you have little kids. We missed some attractions bc they were so spaced out. Bathrooms are not clean. The changing room isn't near the lockers!!! BEES BEES BEES Everywhere! 5 trashcans close to where people are sitting, and the BEES were all over the expensive food and drinks (with no lid or straw). Lazy River is surrounded by trees, so quite a bit of leaves and debris. I went on a weekday, so it wasn't too crowded, but I've heard it can get crazy. Couldn't go past 5 ft in wave pool! Very expensive if you pay at the gate
Marietta Square is a charming city park, bordered by restaurants and shops, featuring a replica of the Liberty Bell, benches and a fountain. Visitors can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere with live music, browsing through numerous vendors' stores or simply relaxing on one of the benches. The surrounding murals add to the park's aesthetic appeal. Free 2-hour parking is available nearby for convenience.
This visit was a pleasant surprise. We visited thinking just a quaint little town with lots of shops, etc., but there was a full blown Festival happening! So much to do and see, so many little shops and vendors, live music, eating, browsing, buying, watching or just hanging out. We were traveling from Ohio and had toddlers to teens + our pooch and there was something for everyone. Great job little town of Marietta Square ❤🐕

There's always something going on at The Marietta Square! Many festivals and evening concerts are scheduled throughout the year, along with farmer's markets. Check out The Strand (theater) & their schedule as well, and so many cool places to shop and eat. Was super worried about the mature tree removal around the perimeter (roots pushing up sidewalks) but it already is looking great again!

Numerous interesting stores, restos and Mirco breweries in the area too.
Well worth the visit.

I visited for a food festival. So very disappointed. Vendors tripled prices for just tasting items. Food wasn't good. Would not go to a food festival held here. Parking limited. Marietta police and fire dept. Were available to assust with situations. Very professional. I have visited just to sit in the gazebo or listen to live music. I have eaten at many of the restaurants there and was never disappointed. I’ve gone there on a date night and even was a spectator of several weddings at the gazebo. Enjoyed very much.i have never been disappointed with any of the restaurants that I've dined at. Many small restaurants and you can eat outside and enjoy. It's very quaint. Would recommend for a date night or just to go chill.

So many things to do at the city center of my hometown! The Strand Theater is still right there on the corner! There is a playground for the kids to enjoy, and there are public restrooms (real ones, not port-a-potty!) There are restaurants and bars all around the square. Social events are held frequently here. I was most recently here on behalf of Team Trivia filling in to run the weekly Trivia Game at Red Hare - The Still on the Square. Great bunch of folks there to enjoy a fun game of Trivia!

The summer concert series and arts festivals are really enjoyable. There are plenty of restaurants and shops in the area to enjoy when there aren’t large gatherings on the square. Traffic can be really hectic on event days and I recommend early arrival or ride share services.

Many dog friendly outdoor patio places to eat and drink. Eclectic vibe centered around a historic train station. A nice walk path along the tracks.

I always have such a great time when visiting Marietta square. So many restaurants and bars that are in walking distance of each other. The square itself is a great place to grab a bench and people watch or read. I visited for Chalktober fest, breakfast, and a book club meeting this week and every time was a different experience. There is a bookstore, magic shop, art studios, boutique shops and places to eat all around the square.

Tomorrow's morning will be the annual MS walk. They have a 1 mile trail and 3 mile trail. Dogs are welcomed, and the city police take care of blocking the path for everyone to enjoy the walk at your own pace. They have stands along the path with water also. It I great event for a great cause....

Located in the center of downtown Marietta, Marietta Square is a really fun and cute place that is centered with a pretty water fountain and a nice little park called "Glover Park." The vibes are great, and it's a great spot to bring kids or sit down and enjoy yourself!
There are a bunch of really cool shops directly next to the square. Some places I visited:
Rocket Fizz - super cool candy store with some exotic candy that I haven't tried before!
Tsunami - Latin American & Asian fusion cuisine, very yummy!
There was also some dragon store that I can't quite remember the name of, but the people working there were really kind and had a great sense of humor. Overall, very very cool place!

Loved the art festival they had over Labor Day weekend at Marietta Square. The quality of the artisans were better than I expected. There was very good quality and creative art throughout from many of the vendors.

We visited on Saturday during Chalktoberfest. Do wish parking could be a little easier around the square, but it is to be expected during events. Really enjoyed the music and the art. Not sure why this year they didn't have as many food vendors out. But overall it was really nice day out.

Went to the Taste of Marietta. It was a wonderful day, with all kinds of food to pick from. One of my favorite places to eat is Taqueria! They have the Best variety of Tacos.
Historical wooded state park offering hiking, picnicking & boating, plus fishing.
A very well-staffed park. Excellent signage to direct you on where to go. We only took the Red Trail to see the Mill Ruins on a quick visit, but I do recommend that one for beginner hikers! The path is nicely packed and wide for comfort without much of a grade. I was a little disappointed in all the fencing around the ruins keeping you from getting a closer look, but I totally understand the purpose of it being there. The water was lovely and calming also. I would recommend this spot for a nice, relaxing afternoon in nature.

Close to the city and never disappoints. The State Park is well maintained, with recent updates to the property. A nice place to enjoy solo or as a group. The trails are moderate, well marked, and hosts beautiful scenery regardless of the trail your on. Good walking/hiking shoes highly recommended. Don’t forget water and snacks! You could stay out there for hours enjoying the outdoors. The day use areas and lake are also cool places to enjoy.
Check weather conditions before starting if it rained recently to make sure no portion of the trails are under water. Definitely recommended and we shall return!

Absolutely gorgeous park, a great escape from Metro Atlanta. Leashed dog friendly. The mill ruins are cool and easy to get to for people of varying abilities, yound and old. They have many trails which are very well marked with lots of blazes. One big thing to note is that after the ruins, the red trail does become more difficult. If you are unsteady, around lots of rocks and tree roots I would take the white trail from the ruins back toward the interpretive center, but If you are up to the challenge the remainder of the red trail is worth the reward.

Beautiful state park! Lots of parking space. Many trails to walk or run on! Beautiful scenery. Perfect for family hikes. Dog friendly. Parking only cost $5.

This park is so great. Mill ruin is pretty. The creek is so beautiful with so many rocks on its surface, you can hop on some of those. There is visitor center with a small museum displaying history of that place. You can see alot of taxidermy animals typically found in the area. Gift shop sells souvenirs like rocks, books, decoration, even plush animals. We got a beautiful bald eagle plush back pack and took a bunch of nice pictures with it.

One of the most loved, and traveled to state parks in Georgia no doubt. The place is absolutely beautiful. You need to come early or you will not have a decent parking spot. I would highly recommend before 9 AM.
The visitor center is huge. The bathrooms are clean and spacious, and it looks like it has undergone a recent renovation.
Do you want to take the red trail down to the river and see the ruins. Past the ruins the trail is very rough and not for children. The white trail is all woods and has a giant circle about 5 miles. We did see some snakes and other animals totally worth it. One of our favorite parks in Georgia .

Great park that’s only a short drive from the city. The grounds are clean and signage is pretty good. Park staff is pleasant and helpful. I went up to rent a kayak for a couple hours and was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to do the rental. Boats are in decent shape and there’s a small ramp for getting in and out of the water. No beach area, but there’s a nice shaded section with picnic tables and room for blankets or your own seating. If you’re looking for this area, go away from the main visitor center and follow the signs for the bait shop. This may be my new go-to spot to get out of the city!

It's always nice to come here and I like how they have been updating it. I came last weekend and I was surprised as to what they have added like the swing by the water, sitting there was very relaxing & the view was very beautiful. The water was really nice, the clearest i've ever seen it. It's always very clean here too!

Stayed in tent spot 5. Uphill climb with all the gear. Many trips with wagon full. But so worth it. Beautiful lake view. Warm bathhouse. Temps got pretty cold overnight in November but had campfire going all week. Lots of hiking trails, variety of difficulty. Great experience.

Nice place to visit very peaceful. There's areas to barbecue or have a picnic. Surrounded by beautiful lake trees and beautiful ducks floating in the water. Place to fish and also put small paddle boats, had a lovely experience. There also a charge it enter someone at the booth to collect the fee or you can put the fee in the box. Have a blessed day everyone 🙌

Always have a great time at this park. So many different trail options and different routes to take. Plenty of places to throw up a hammock and relax. When the water is lower lots of great spots to walk around the rocks in the middle of the creek. Trails are well marked.

This state park is beautiful, and the trails are great. I love the white trail loop (going counterclockwise), and I also love the red trail loop, but it’s currently closed due to erosion. Overall, this is a great morning/day trip if you live close by. Our hike took around two hours, and we did a little over 5.5 miles. 10/10 recommend!

Great place for some mushroom spotting! We walked the Yellow Trail for 2 hours. Lots of water to see. Nice hills. Beautiful lush scenery. The Visitor’s Center is a cool learning space for any age! It has a nice mix of nature and history of the area. Parking looked dicey when we left, so get there early.

Sweetwater Park is a phenomenal place to walk/hike. There are tons of different trails which mixes it up nicely when you have a season pass and go frequently! It’s beautiful along the water…only complaint is that the fisherman litter up the banks with the trash they leave behind. Ruins the beauty!

What a nice place, many hiking trails and beautiful views of the river or the lake. Not too many people, dog friendly and plenty of parking. There are plenty of picnic tables, located all over the park and around the lake. Some trails are under repairs but rangers advised us to take the red trail to the yellow and it was very nice. We were able to enjoy the river, bridge and see the ruins on the other side of the river. Beautiful.....

Sweetwater is a beautiful park, especially after they reopened the trails near the old mill. We finally broke down and bought an annual pass so we could take our puppy out more. It can be crowded on nice days, but it's worth the drive.

Had a great winter hike with my family. Too bad the red trail was closed for maintenance so we could not get up close to the mill ruins. But we had a very fun hike over the bridge, up some hilly terrain, past a large cave, and back to the large creek with nice views of the mill.
Preserved site of an 1864 Civil War battle, with a visitor's center featuring a film & artifacts.
I purposely went to the park late in the afternoon, so I expected parking to be a pain, which it was. I really love visiting national park units though (40+ and counting), so it wasn't the worst thing in the world. I was there to hike anyway, but I used my America the Beautiful pass to cover the parking fee.
From the overflow parking lot, I bee-lined to the Visitor Center to get a map and my stamp. After that, I immediately started the 1-mile hike up the main trail to the summit. The trail started to ascend almost immediately and it's very rocky, so pace yourself if you need to. There aren't a huge number of benches along the trail, but the trails are extremely well marked.
Overall, this park is honestly one of the best maintained units I've ever seen, but I have to assume it's because of the number of locals who visit. Seeing it in spring is probably the best part because of all the beautiful flowering trees.
Shameless plug: I visit all kinds of parks and share them on my IG @domsdillydallies if you're interested!

There is a short connecting trail that follows alongside a creek at the base of the Dead Angle field on Cheatham Hill where the Illinois Monument is located. Along that trail are two of the most magnificent trees in the 2965 acre park. They’re both about the same size though one has it’s massive moss covered roots exposed.

Visitor center is really nice. Has a short film about the battle I found pretty touching. They have a first rate museum with a lot of items that are significant to the battle and Sherman’s campaign to capture Atlanta. There did not seem to be a lot in the way of interpretation on most of the trails other than a few plaques, but the visiting the “Dead Angle” and knowing what happened there is a really sobering experience.

Historical places are always a great place to find inspiration and reflection. There were some interesting lessons here along the self guided trails. Lots of walking and running, and families spending time together, while engaging in discussions about nature and history.
We will co.e and spend more time here on our next trip to Atlanta.

They seem quite apologetic and even celebratory of confederate war nostalgia, under the guise of "history". This is evidenced by their various monuments and historical markers that attempt to subtley depict the losing pro-slavery racist condederates as heroes whose deeds are somehow worthy of respect or rememberance. Utter gaslighting nonsense. A better monument would be to the countless slaves that were forced to undergo neverending unpaid labor under horrible conditions for their entire lives, to the sole benefit of the ruthless, unenlightened brutal confederates.

We only had about an hour to spend here but enjoyed the museum. I really like the battle field log with the cannon balls embedded in them, very cool. Didn't have enough time to hike too far, but the trails looked very nice from what we saw.

A great piece of Georgia History and a fun and relaxing place to visit. I recommend contacting them ahead of time and seeing if you can arrange a tour for yourself or your group. Having an expert with you to share the history and guide you to any particular place on the property or to highlight a particular area of interest for you or your party makes the visit more enjoyable.

We stopped to do both the house and gardens tours. We were only able to tour the house because of the time, but it was great. Tony was a wonderful tour guide and we enjoyed all the information about the grounds and family. We were able to get a rain check to come back and tour the gardens.

One of the top attractions in LaGrange GA. Tons of history here and the house is a time capsule from the early 1900s except for a couple of rooms that are stuck in the 1980s. Beautiful throughout the year but especially beautiful at Christmas. The only downside is while they allow photography outside, it isn’t allowed inside. The gardens are also top notch and week worth a slow walk through. Lots of info in the visitors center as well.

Interesting place. We enjoyed the gardens as well as the architecture. They offer a 50-minute movie you can watch to get better acquainted with the estate's past, but we were pressed for time and just took the tram up to the gardens. They're having some boxwood blight trouble, so one area was closed off. I wish them well in their efforts to get a handle on it. Still, it was a pleasant stroll with many interesting and beautiful sights.

Can't believe we only learned about this jewel when we were planning a recent trip to Callaway Gardens. Without a doubt, one of the most amazing & beautiful experiences we've ever had. The staff clearly loves their work. From the Visitor Center to the Tour Guide to the Gardeners, we were overwhelmed by their kindness and knowledge of the property. The film which is shown prior to the tour of the home is full of history & emotion. The house is incredible, but the gardens are beautiful beyond words. The only advice I can offer is to make every effort to visit this piece of heaven if you're in the area.

I live in SC and had never even heard of this nearby estate until we searched online for outdoor activities last weekend. Nestled cozily in shady, rolling hills and woodlands, this historical, majestic estate and gardens are perfect for a weekend getaway or event venue. It's shady with many paved roads and well-maintained paths for people with mobility issues. Our tour guide, Rose, was friendly and knowledgeable about the mansion and family. We had the whole tour and house to ourselves on a Saturday in spring! Unbelievable! Best part: the entire house is open for tours, unlike a few main rooms on other historical home tours. We spent four hours strolling through the gardens, but it can be seen in a few hours if you are in a rush. Highly recommend!

We were lucky enough to find this gem by accident on Thu, Mar 2, 2023. We were on a business trip for Heartland CPR and had a day to explore, originally we were in Senoia and drove an hour to visit this beautiful estate. It was such a wonderful experience, filled with history and love for such a magnificent historical site. When we walked up to the location we were a bit confused because there was a lot of commotion, with U-Hauls and other things going on, that we thought it might be closed. Fortunately, a wonderful man named Chris came and help us navigate the situation, they were in the midst of filming a Hallmark movie! That was so fun to see! Thank you, Hope for driving us around in the golf cart and getting us where we needed to be. Sue Ellen was our tour guide through the home, wow, I can't say enough about her. She was extremely kind, very knowledgeable, answered every question we had, you can tell she has passion for what she does and shows her love for the history of this iconic estate! Thank you again, we highly recommend you visit Hills and Dales Estate!

A few ducks and a donkey:) Went into the barn and was really excited to see the variety of animals! The owner was busy cutting food so we could all feed the animals She was super friendly and was working hard to keep everyone happy. We made our way to all the animals inside and out and fell in love with all them. She had a dog with a noticeable disability but you would never know it because he was so happy and in a loving place ! I have the utmost respect for all they do here for these animals . This 2,910-acre riverside park offers boating & fishing, 6 miles of trails & many campsites.
Visited here to check out our campsite before we drive all the way back with the camper. Most all of the sites are sufficient for a wide variety of campers. Nice bathrooms in the campground. 3 toilets. 2 showers with doors, not curtains. Very nice office with gift shop. Very helpful staff. Only one campground is for the larger units. One campground is for tents and smaller campers such as pop ups.. There are 2 shelters to reserve. There were plenty of tables for probably 25 to 30 people. Oh and there are 3 cabins! We were told that 7 more will be built.

Great trails. The first one we went to was closed. Fortunately, there was another trial about 3 miles away.
We walked the River Side Trail. Was pretty early and cool. Only walked 2 in and 2 back. Very few people on the trail, about 3 small groups. Although mostly all wooded, did not feel suffocating or closed in on.
Trail marked very well. Only one place we're we unsure which way to go.

Chattahoochee Bend State Park is one of the newer parks in Georgia and it is very well taken care of very well by the workers and volunteers. My wife and I spent a Monday through Thursday there in campground #1 at site 102. This is a pull through site. We were greeted by Mindy, the host for this campground, and we instantly felt welcomed and at home. The sites are very well maintained and the grounds are very clean. The hiking trails are well marked and ubiquitous. The bathhouses are clean and well stocked. The playground was well maintained and several kids were there enjoying themselves on the updated equipment. One of the great things about this park is its dog-friendliness. They will allow you to set up dog fencing outside your RV to give your dogs outside time as well. This campground is centrally located to many historical small towns and adventurous day trips. We went to FDRs Little White House and Warm Springs as a day trip. The city of Newman is also close by and has many historical sites and gorgeous houses to look at.

We used a weekend to go to the platform camping site next to the river. The Chattahoochee river was beautiful to see from our tent, and the facilities were well-maintained. There were several other groups camping over the weekend. No one was terribly noisy except for one group of partiers on the far end that did stop playing the music at 9 PM. The bathroom facilities are fantastic and would like to come in. The staff are keeping such a clean establishment.
It was my kids first time camping outside, and while it was freezing cold, everybody had a blast. Special note, you cannot fish in the river at all!

Long time no Hike!!! We hiked this trail on 12/23/2023! As pups, this trail was phenomenal! It was a little hilly, but not too crazy. The ground wasn't too rocky. There were quite a few roots that Mom and Dad tripped over, but as pups we didn't care about this! There was one spot we had to cross a little creek which we didn't mind, but Mom didn't love this and is something to think about if it's rained a lot when you and your pups visit! We saw deer and birds! We 10/10 recommend this trail for all your pups out there!

Not very interesting kayak trip. The river had quite a bit of trash in it, which we tried to clean as we were floating. The northern part of the Chattahoochee is much more interesting. Didn't see any wildlife. Only came for kayaking. Didn't hike at all. The visitors center was very nice though and the rangers were helpful.

We stayed in cabin #2 over the weekend. Cabin was very well maintained. The screened porch had table and chairs for outdoor dining. We ate every meal outdoors. Enjoyed seeing and listening to the different birds during each meal.
Lots of hiking opportunities. The River Trail runs along the Chattahoochee River with some good views. Look for the turtles swimming in the river or basking in the sun on branches in the river. The observation tower is ok.
The Turkey Creek Trail needs some maintenance--several big branches down that you either had to crawl under or walk around.
We definitely enjoyed our stay in this quiet and beautiful park.

We spent a day walking the trails by the river and had a nice picnic lunch in the park. Trails were well marked and a relatively level walk. That in itself made for a pleasant day trip.
Before we left we cruised through the RV campsites and they looked roomy and the area was well maintained. The hookups didn’t have sewer but there is a dump station.

Chattahoochee Bend is one of our favorite sneak away parks. I almost don't want to tell you because I don't want it to be full! The park is on the Chattahoochee (obviously) and has a boat ramp but we have not kayaked there yet. Picnic areas by the river, hiking trails, and playgrounds.
The park is like 5900 acres or something insane like that. They have a huge variety of camping available, rv, tent, back country hike in, walk in tents (not far from the road), Adirondack, and platform group camping. It's quiet, and DARK! It takes 30 mins just to get to check in once you enter 'the park's and we love it. The camp store is awesome and has plenty of necessities in case you forget something.
If you need to make a store run, it's not a quick trip, which we also love. It's really out in the woods, T-Mobile cell service is barely available. If you count on your phone to watch TV or use the Internet, be sure to download some movies before you get there. I did see some campers with the satellite tv, so it appears that may work also.
The site was clean and raked and the hosts were very informative and helpful.
Sorry we did not get any photos this trip, but we have several from previous visits. I'll send if I can find them

We stayed in one of the cabins here at Chattahoochee Bend. We loved our cabin so much. It was so nice, two awesome porches, one screened in, super comfy beds, an area outside for a fire, grilling and eating out there as well as a full dining table on the screened-in porch. Within walking distance was a playground for the kids. Everyone was very nice and helpful. We got to see so much wildlife. Several turtles crossing the road. We actually walked into one of the public bathrooms to find a massive turtle just chilling in there. There were 2 other playgrounds but they were very weird. My kids struggled playing on them and we couldn't even figure out how to use a couple of the things (pics included). My only real complaint is that I wish there had been more river access. My kids and I were hoping to have a place to kind of splash around and cool off, but the only river access was the boat put-in and you weren't supposed to swim there.

Our yearly anniversary spot, site 103 this year. Great little park, long drive in not many spots but great if you can get in.
Located in Cartersville, Georgia, Tellus Science Museum is a top attraction offering an array of interactive and educational experiences for visitors of all ages. The museum boasts over 120,000 square feet of space dedicated to hands-on science exhibits, including geology displays, fossils, and mineral galleries. Visitors can explore the Weinman Mineral Gallery featuring an extensive collection of minerals, gems, and rocks as well as the Fossil Gallery showcasing a variety of dinosaur fossils.
This is one of my favorite museums. Maybe because I’m a huge Dino fan! They not only have the Dino’s but a big aerospace section. Star Wars fan? They have The Science of Star Wars on May 4th.
Expect to spend 4 hrs or more here! So much to look at and do! Very kid friendly. They have cool interactive things for ages 5 and up to play with and explore.
Clean! Well maintained.
Affordable.
Adults $17
Children $13
Seniors $15
Members can go free.

They do sensory friendly weekends. Great for autistic kiddos.
They do special exhibits so you’ll need to check their website for the dates.

This is a great place to bring the family!! If you have kids, there are a ton of things for them to enjoy. If you don't have any and are a kid at heart yourself, then there's tons for YOU to enjoy!! From dinosaurs to old vehicles to minerals to stars! This was a very nice date today.

Excellent experience. Wonderful mix of science, minerals, rocks , vintage cars, motorcycles, and dinosaurs. There are a lot of interactive things for the kids and big kids. Nice café, very clean restrooms and grounds. Planetarium is a must-see experience!

It's definitely worth a visit!! We had a great time, and my 6 year old son loved the interactive area. He could have stayed in there most of the day. The exhibits were large, roomy, and so full of information I know we missed something. The outside walk with the planets was super cool and so were the older large vehicles. The food was poor quality but I didn't expect much. Good snack options. A large parking lot and staff was all over. Recommend a visit!

Our 4 year old loved it! She had a blast panning for gemstones and digging for dinosaur bones. The kids area kept her occupied for well over an hour. Definitely worth visiting!

This museum is beautiful! There is something here for everyone. The kids' interactive areas are updated every so often, so it doesn't get old. We love the fossil digging and gem mining. We learned about dinosaurs, how bicycles work, earthquakes, and much more ! We packed a lunch and ate under a large covered area with picnic tables and restrooms before we went in. I definitely recommend taking advantage of this area as well.

I cannot recommend this place further. We drove 2 hours to get there and it was worth it. Some of the staff was rude, but I know customer service isn't easy. I really enjoyed the gift shop. I bought several geodes. Great parking, convenient bathrooms, cute cafe, plenty of grassland to explore.

Went during the week, picked up our tickets without having to wait. It's amazing seeing the "real" deal as well as replica. Often you can't imagine how big things actually are till you stand right next to them.

Wow! What an experience. This spacious museum showcases gems, fossils, and an interactive children's area. Not only can you see and touch gems and fossils, but you can mine your own gems and dig for a fossil! I had a blast here, even with kids running all over the place. It offers so much information and a great gift shop at the entrance. They also offer dining with great prices!

One of the best Museums I have come across! A single day is not enough, luckily got the membership pass. Plus the membership is part of ASTC, which gives entry to several other museums! How cool is that! The hands on activities- gem panning, fossil dig - super awesome! Kids couldn’t get enough of it. The pendulum at the entrance - we spent 10-15 mins at the pendulum watching it in action and visited again - equating the hours passed to the fallen blocks - fun thing to do. All exhibits were amazing, especially the mineral and amber one. The movie dome is really good too. Half a day wasn’t enough, still left lot to cover, will be going back again in spring or summer !

We loved this museum! I wish we lived closer. We could have spent hours on each exhibit. Everyone commented on panning for fossils so we had to check it out. You get to find and keep one fossil each. What a treasure. I was found of the minerals and gems as well. So many beautiful things to learn and admire about earth. And the family zone with physical and hands on activities were perfect for my elementary aged child. Honestly, there was so much to see and many thing to touch, it is appropriate for all ages. If we get a chance to come again we will also check out a film too. I highly recommend visiting and spending a whole day here.

The museum is almost a 5! It needs a bit more pizazz. I am an avid museum goer and I enjoyed it. I do have an annual pass!
I think for young young kids there is a bit more in the play area - I didn’t explore that area. I think it could offer a bit more for teens and up.
I think it would also be cool if they embraced the area a bit more and had some full time exhibits about farm science.
The stones exhibit is amazing! Had so much fun! D
There is a small restaurant and it is pretty much like every museum restaurant.
The gift shop is fun and has items for kids and adults.
The outside area is fun to walk around and offers additional exhibits that are fun. There are also outdoor areas for picnics!
100% worth a visit!

A big science museum not that far from Atlanta. Great place to take kids to. Spend about 3-4 hours easily. Many things to do with knowledgeable and fun staff around. They are known for their planetarium. Kids wouldn’t leave the gem exhibit. They have so much fun there.

I can't say enough good things about this venue! I planned and coordinated a wedding at Science Tellus Museum on Sept 30, 2023 for 130 people. The combination of the outside ceremony and an indoor reception near the large dinosaur was unique and exciting. Meagan Black was my contact and she did an amazing job! She was very responsive with excellent communication and executed the floorplan with different variations. Meagan was hands on, day of and offered her services when needed. This a fantastic venue and a memorable location for any event. And the guests really enjoyed the different exhibits! I also love that there is ample parking. If you need a wonderful venue, I suggest you consider Science Tellus Museum!

Incredible science museum that is suitable for all ages. Today we took our 3 year old grandson, who loves dinosaurs, to visit Tellus Science Museum. We were a little hesitant as he is young, and we were not sure if he would find most of the exhibits interesting. He was beside himself, he enjoyed every moment of our 3 hour visit especially the dinosaurs, the fossil and gem finds, the big trucks and the backyard area. If you have children, grandchildren or if you have any interest in science yourself, Tellus will not disappoint.

Highly recommend! Had to go for a science fair for kids and it was amazing. I mean I was blown away. I love the fossils and atmosphere. They have a lot of things that you can explore. I would probably suggest bringing food and eating it outside because the cafeteria didn't have much to offer and a little pricey. I'll definitely go again!!!
JEWEL LUMPKIN — Google review
I am very impressed with this museum. A majority of the exhibits in this museum are very kid friendly! They can touch real fossils, pan for gems, dig for bones and they even let you take what they find home for keeps. My kids had so much fun here, and there was so much for them to see.
The gift shop has something for all ages, especially gifts and keepsakes for kids that are under a dollar!
I recommend you check with your bank or employer and check if they participate with free museum days, save yourself an adult price ticket. Regardless, the price of admission is reasonable, considering how much this museum has to offer.
Even the outside of the museum has a reduced scale model of our solar system that you can walk and see how far each planet is from the sun. Tellus did not disappoint 😎 @tellusmuseum

I took my son who was off of school. He had a great time learning about dinosaurs, geology, rocks, and physics. His bedroom at home is all space, so he loved all the astronaut and space stuff. We took in a Planetarium show on the Eclipse. It was so much fun and a great museum.

The Booth Western Art Museum is a large museum dedicated to the art and culture of the American West. It stands out as the only museum in the southeastern United States focused on this region. With an impressive 11,000 square meters of space, it boasts the largest permanent collection of Western American art in the country and is Georgia's second-largest museum.

By the way, I had this delicious tuna sandwich at the bistro. It’s a hidden gem in Cartersville. Cost $13 for adult admission and parking is free. I did not visit the souvenir shop ( will visit on my visit).

I'm not sure how hidden this place is but for my History and Art lovers this place is worth a visit. Most of the artistic depictions, interpretations and recreations of historical events are marvelous. Sculptures, paintings and etchings using mix media are crafted in immense detail; when standing afar can appear photographic. An added plus is the American Presidents exhibit were you can see their photos and learn some unique facts about them. Admission is reasonably priced and can be purchased online. Ample parking located across the street. Bistro and Museum Shop located within the facility. Tours are available. Staff are very helpful, personable and located through the facility to aid patrons and make sure exhibits remain in pristine condition. Building is ADA accessible. Elevator is centrally located on premise.

Wonderful museum! The entry fee is reasonable at $13 per adult, and there is plenty of free parking. The outdoor sculpture tour is free and takes place in the morning, we missed it unfortunately. There is a funky little kids area on the lowest level with books and things to climb on - we walked through it and thought it was a nice touch. On the main level and upper floor there are numerous galleries. The presidential section with letters was particularly unique to us. We thoroughly enjoyed the blend of Western art and history lessons. There are paintings, sculptures of varying mediums, photographs, clothing, baskets, two coaches, among other art related materials. There is an elevator available as well as stairs. We loved our visit and definitely recommend it!

A wonderful afternoon listening to a country (?) songwriter session with some love music and back story. I had no idea who any of them were but the crowd seemed thrilled and it was an enjoyable experience even for someone who doesn't listen to country music.
Afterwards our group toured the museum itself and were pleasantly surprised. Expectations were exceedingly low because of the geographic location of the museum and it purported speciality of Murican Southwest art. But they were greatly exceeded and this museum could have been located in New Mexico just as easily. Great place to stop.
The main level had pretty standard traditional SW paintings. It was alright. Some good works. Saw a few crazy horse faces.
The downstairs wasn't well marked but it was showcasing a local school(s) exhibit and some of the pieces were wonderful. The formal cats (picture attached) being a highlight of the entire museum. Whoever you are kid, keep up the good work.
The upstairs was really the highlight. Much more modern and various styles of art. The sculptures were old school to crazy. Especially enjoyed the totem with chickens on their heads. The large map of first nations throughout North America was an excellent piece and I hadn't seen it put so well before. The scale and detail made it much easier to recognize the natural and political boundaries of the tribes. It's unfortunate that it is tucked away in the corner behind some clothes pieces as in my opinion it lays the foundation for the entire area in terms of what to expect. Much more expressioned art upstairs and a few more crazy horse faces.
There was a very strange room with Murican presidents painted in a group portrait that was... creepy. I got the jist of what was being went for but it was just weird and not very true to photograph for many of the faces. Apparently it's a working space according to the sign and is incomplete. So perhaps the non-representitve features will be fixed at a later date.
Overall, very excellent experience and hope to be back. There's a supercharger less than 20mins away at the Target too.

Phenomenal museum experience in a gem box. Between the vast collection of Western art, the presidents room, and the free tours, one could honestly spend an entire day at Booth. Berry is stunningly beautiful. Main campus has the feel of a Southern university, with it’s beautiful traditional architecture and brick buildings and columns. There is SO much green space. The balance of green space to people was the perfect proportion for our family and felt just right, after visiting larger schools like Clemson and UGA. There are SO many ways to get outdoors and be renewed and refreshed by the beauty of nature. The mountain campus is really cool too, as is the older section of campus used primarily as housing, faculty offices, and some parts of the nursing and education programs. They have good dining hall options, great recreational facilities and options, and technology/learning spaces. They offer a wide range of majors, and their agricultural program (including animal sciences) is really good. We did a tour for prospective students and could not have enjoyed it more. Our tour guide was a current Berry student (an ambassador), and he did a super job of showing us the campus and helping us see what life at Berry was like. The students and staff are so down-to-earth and unassuming. We felt welcome and like we belonged. The staff were so helpful and kind. Now, our eldest child is enrolled and thrilled to become a Berry student.

I'm in the seventh grade here at Berry and I love it here. This is a lab school for the college with a WIP outdoor classroom that also serves as a vegetable garden and apple orchard. Mrs. Neidrach's Kindergarten class has weekly, alphabet-themed field trips. The middle school classes combine with one another for a massive project quinquennially and the third-fifth grades do the same.

Since this marker is over the Krannert building.m, my review is for that. I spent a lot of time here, eating, working, and hanging out in the game room. I made sure that place was spotless back in the day. I went back not too long ago, and they have completely renovated it. Looks good, but different. I’m sure it is just as special for all the current students as it was for me.

Equestrian camp has 20 water and electric sites. We put our horses on a tie line between trees. Trails are mostly single track wooded trails. I rode the yellow, orange and part of the blue trail following the lake shore. These had a lot of hills and parts were very narrow along a hillside. In spots a little close for comfort. We found a spring waterfall for lunch break.

We had a 2wk stay here in the fall. Although none of the attractions here were open (ice cream shop, ziplines, putt putt), there are activities that the park naturalist puts on for all age groups. We enjoyed a free pontoon ride, scavenger hunt, bird watching, trivia night, and nature walk. The park is also home to bass fishing tournaments. Our site, D90, was spacious and had beautiful views of Lake Martin. There's an inlet that runs alongside the site that had decent size bass and ducks. Site 89 is super close. Thankfully, it stayed empty the entirety of our stay. There are trails to walk, a marina with a store full of all your camping/swimming/fishing needs, and laundry facilities. There are 2 dump stations that have 3 dumps each, although I can't imagine 3 rigs dumping at the same time. The distance between the 3 is short. There is one dumpster near the exit of the campground. During our stay, we noticed that group B fills up quickly. The premium spots in C were nearly full the whole time (they're more like rv resort sites). D was less favorable, although we did prefer it. Sites on the water look pretty, but they had no yard space and sloped down. E looked to be nice, and most sites overlooked the lake. Each section had its own bathroom/showerhouse.

Absolutely love love this place. Very clean and the staff are wonderful. The campsites are beautiful especially for RVs. I did tent camping and had a beautiful place right near the marina. I did not know they were going to have a bass fishing tournament the next morning so I had a person blaring on the PA at 4 AM and then 5:30 AM to launch 72 boats one at a time all revving their engines until about 6 AM so there’s that. And that’s an a whole different story but I’m still not gonna give him the stars because the place was so beautiful. If you want to either tent camp or RV camp, this is definitely a place for you.

An absolutely amazing atmosphere. The scenery is amazing. The campground needs alot of help. Definitely in disrepair. Only one restroom in the whole campground had hot water and we checked all of them. Lots of Alabama State Park vehicles driving around and that is about all they did. We did report the lack of hot water and nothing was done about it. We would go back because we loved the view and the hiking trails around.

Beautiful, spacious, and well-maintained this park offers something for most everyone. There are horses, an archery range, kayaks, boat ramps, glamping, you name it. The bath houses were clean and well stocked when we visited. There were 3 attendants available for incoming guests which vastly reduced the wait time when we checked in. My only complaint was the annoyance of the barking dogs. They seemed to be everywhere. Thankfully, the must be kept on a leash.

This is a beautiful park, with sites located along the lake. Our stay was in early December, so we had most of our loop to ourselves. Some of the sites may be a bit unlevel. The trees overhead are trimmed, so there’s no overhang. The park is close to shopping, Walmart, etc. The staff was very accommodating, and there are showers and bathrooms located throughout the park. We met a couple who operate Timberline Glamping Company in the park. They gave us a tour of the tents they rent out that are outfitted with linens, beds, air conditioning and heat. Putt putt golf, ziplines, boat, rental, archery, and other amenities were closed for winter, but it appears that during the season this is a very busy park. The laundry by the marina was clean, washer/dryers are $1.50 per load. The roads are great for bike riding, and there are hiking trails throughout. This park is a great place to camp no matter what the season.

One of our favorite places to camp. Some of the campsites are on the smaller side, so if you’re wanting room for activities for the kids- pick a waterfront site. They have more room! Wind Creek is well-maintained, clean, and spacious with lots of activities for the kids.
Ashley McCarley — Google review
Visited Wind Creek in fall of 2016. the staff was very helpful and friendly. Brought my boat and fished for several days. Boat ramp is exceptional.
There is a fish cleaning station not far from the cabin we stayed in. It's a long dock you can also fish off of.
We stayed at one of their 2-bedroom cabins that was at the waterfront. Very comfortable. Had a dock at the cabin for docking the boat up. The only small complaint would be no stove for cooking. But we managed with a crook pot, the outside grill and eating out a few times.
Alexander City is only 6 miles away. Plenty of good restaurants and stores.
Overall, we had a great time.
FYI - Take a trip from the park to Horseshoe Bend National Military Park. It's 30 minutes away. Free entry and worth the drive. I also did a review on that park. Check it out.
Vast collection of historic displays, with 7 exhibit halls, a conservatory, trails & gardens.
Great experience! I honestly expected there to be more people there, but I really enjoyed that there was only 2 other families there. Great exhibits. My son really enjoyed seeing the safari animals and the dinosaur exhibits. We definitely had a blast and plan to return with the rest of the family.

This was an amazing trip down memory lane. My girls absolutely loved coming here. The children's nature area was closed until 2023, so that was the only thing dissappointing about our trip here. I suspect they're updating it. It was clean and well organized. The garden was beautiful to stop and look around after touring the museum. I would definitely recommend coming here for a visit.

We really enjoyed our visit here and were impressed with how many displays were available. It was far more extensive than we thought it would be. When needed, staff was very helpful.

today was my first visit to the museum, which i didn’t even know existed until my husband mentioned it the other day. it’s absolutely wonderful and worth a trip. you can go alone, as a couple, or bring your children. there’s something for everyone here. we spent about 3 hours between this building and the berman building. i’m a huge history buff and even i learned a lot today! it’s well worth it and very very inexpensive.

Stopped in on my way home as it's only 7 minutes off of I-20, and the entry fee was less than lunch. It was a great way to stretch our legs and spend an hour. I haven't seen such a collection in any of the other museums we have taken our kids to. We only went to the Nat History Museum, but we now plan to go back and visit the other two exhibitions. The staff was warm, informed, and very helpful with questions. All the interactive activities worked, which is rare nowadays. And they HAvE DINOSAURS!!

Really enjoyed this place. Took the whole family ranging in age from 13-50. Even the teenagers enjoyed the experience. I was a little diassapointed that it didn't include much local history...I thought for sure there would be something from the Freedom Rider's.. there wasn't. Infact I didn't see much black history there at all which I found odd for being in Anniston. But overall we absolutely loved our visit.

Wonderful experience. They changed the displays since the last time I was there @ 15 yrs ago. They 2 areas about to open. Right now mummies are on display in the Egyptian room.
Had family in from out of state and all the kids loved the different areas of exploration.
Ages 17yrs down to 4yrs.

Wow! This place was amazing. I can't believe I've never been until this week! On Tuesdays, they have an educational class for kids at 10:30, and my boys loved it. The grounds are beautiful! We will definitely be back soon!!

Lovely place! For a small town like Anniston, the Museum is of very high quality, very informative with awesome display pieces!

A clean museum with nice staff. The museum has a medium amount of exhibits, but things are explained well. The science experiment hall was small. The garden area seems beautiful if visited in spring. The Berman Museum has a lot of interesting information about different wars. It's definitely useful for someone who likes to learn war history.

This place was more than I expected it to be. We had such a great time. They had a great selection to look at. Many birds! Reptiles, animals from several countries, rocks, dinosaurs and more. Don’t skip out on the Berman Museum next door.

I loved sharing the experience of the Anniston Museum with my grandkids. I remember going when I was in 3rd grade, on a field trip, and they were first putting the giant elephant up. I have been many times, many years, after that, with my own students on field trips, and I got to share my story. I've taken my grandkids over the years, but it never gets old. We all enjoyed it.
Sonya Milam Rollins — Google review
This place is honestly wicked cool! My wife and I took our two year old to do something as a family. I didn’t expect all the giant animals as well as a cave! So worth the $8 per a person. Definitely coming back in the future when the little one can enjoy it a bit more!
Forested nature preserve around Little River which runs along the top of Lookout Mountain.
What a pleasant surprise this was! We weren't sure what we were going to find on that winding road along Bear Creek with all its roadside overlooks, but my goodness were we in for a treat! Pictures just don't do it justice. I wish we'd had time to make it all the way around. We missed the most beautiful part (the falls!) If you're in the area, spend a day checking out all of the overlooks and the falls. It's truly worth it. We're planning to visit again during the fall when all the leaves are bursting with color. (Our visit was in mid-December.) I haven't been able to get this area out of my mind since we returned. Stunningly beautiful and definitely worth the visit!

This park is a must see! The views from the canyon are amazingly beautiful. I visited yesterday while traveling and will definitely go back when I have more time. Make sure to drive the entire canyon which is approximately 12 miles and stop off at every view point. Eberhart Point was my favorite!

A wonderful place to spend some time in the foothills of the Appalachian foothills. The park has a great walkway down to see Little River Falls. You can even go the back path through the woods and go for a swim!
Morgan Davis — Google review
This is a beautiful place with several cool things to see and do. There are several scenic overlooks that stretch roughly 8 miles by car. There is a awesome swimming hole called the hippie hole that gets over 20 feet deep in places. There are several areas to jump off rocks into the water. The hiking trails at little river are overall short and pretty easy for a regular hiker. Be aware that the hike down to the swimming hole has 133 stone steps. It can be difficult for some people. There is also a swimming area that is much easier to access closer to the main bridge in the parking lot. The visitors center is beautiful to see. They show a video about little river canyon and there is a gift shop. I've hiked at many places this is one of the best overall.
Jeremy Brown — Google review
Little river, canyon, national preserve was well worth the visit! They got a great viewing area to see the waterfalls with good safety railings. You can take a trail to the right of this to go swim in the river above the falls, but be careful because there’s no lifeguard on duty and to go over the falls would most likely be fatal. The trail to the left is about a mile and a half round trip and it goes to the lower section of the canyon below the falls. It’s quite a hike and ends with about 136 stone steps down to the bottom of the river canyon.
Brad Peak — Google review
Stunning! The views during the entire hike were incredible. Rope assisted hike/scrambling and the climbing is world class.

Pleasant surprise! Nice gem in AL. Little River Trail very nice. It’s rocky and a nice river at the end to jump in. The scenic rim route also very nice. A couple of volunteer rangers on site too.

Spectacular views. Good birding opportunities. Especially beautiful in fall. The falls can be very impressive especially after a big rain.

What a gorgeous and underrated National Park unit. It's not a "National Park", but the canyon is just as spectacular. We were able to find a shady spot in one of the overlooks and had our picnic.
Jenn LaVine — Google review
This is a very beautiful waterfall with different swimming holes to choose from. The most popular swimming hole is called “hippie hole” and is about a mile down from the big waterfall. Lots of adrenaline junkies go here to jump off of the cliffs. Lots of fun to be had here. Just be extremely careful if you go. Also avoid bringing alcohol, the game warden will write you a hefty citation if he catches you drinking around here. Be sure to take lots of pictures and help keep this area clean!!

Decent park, not a lot of hiking trails. Have been twice, this time the falls were dried up, but still nice.
Little River Canyon Parkway had pretty overlooks and plenty of pull offs for trailheads. Unfortunately, most of the pull offs and picnic areas were overgrown and not maintained much at all.

4322 Little River Trail #100, Fort Payne, AL 35967, USA
Mountaintop 3,502-acre state park with waterfalls, a nature center, pool & 25 mi. of trails.
A beautiful place. Many trails and waterfalls to look at. The store is a bit sparse so bring what you need. Come with a full tank of gas because the gas station is far. Also some of the trails are extremely easy and short and some are more challenging so most people can visit and take advantage of the beauty.
Kristey — Google review
The park is beautiful, clean, well-maintained. The staff and rangers are polite and helpful. The country store needs to address the mildew/musty smell as it clings to one's person when one visits for long. Not pleasant. The area is amazing though with trails, views, waterfalls. The pull through spots with full hook ups are fantastic. We are 38 foot with a toad and there was plenty of room for us. We will be going back.

Stayed at the campground, we loved our visit. The campground was great with spacious sites, bathhouse was clean and well maintained. The park had lots of wonderful trails and beautiful waterfalls. A positive or negative depending on you is cell service very limited. I already booked labor day weekend to camp again.

Awesome well-developed park. DeSoto Falls were closed. Fun hike to area below the falls. Stayed in Chalet 23. They are far apart and offer privacy. Many interesting hiking trails to explore.

Great weekend at Desoto State Park. The campsites were amazing! Large, private and level. We walked around the entire campground and didn’t see one bad site. The pet owners needed some lessons in picking up after their animals, that was surprising for such a nice park. Camp Hosts were absolutely lovely. There weren’t any dedicated paved bike trails, all of the roads through the park were “highways” so not a relaxed bike ride but nice roads with great views
There were many opportunities for hiking. All trails were moderate to rugged due to all of the rocks (mountains s?) and tree roots but not to terribly different. The facilities were all clean and neat. WiFi was questionable only one bar on cellular.
I was very disappointed in the offerings at the gift shop. Was looking forward to a nice t-shirt but after checking 3 times and told that they had the stock but hadn’t put any out because they hadn’t been marked for sale we gave up. We would have really liked to have a souvenir shirt but I guess it was t meant to be.
Desoto Falls was absolutely beautiful and all the other “minor” falls were a hike away and worth every step to get to them!

We grew up going here. The cabins are wonderful. Not fancy, but very comfortable. The scenery is great! It’s really lovely in the fall when the leaves are changing, but spring is wonderful as well. Blooms, green everywhere and lots of spring migrating birds. The lodge/hotel is okay, but the cabins are really great.
Joe Watts — Google review
Stayed in one of the chalets, and it actually exceeded my expectations. So nice and quiet and clean. The hikes were short, and the waterfalls are very rain dependent. Indian Falls is the only one that has decent water normally. Their map needs to be updated a bit, as they are not to scale, but they are informative. The staff at the lodge is amazing! In my opinion, the Yellow Trail was the prettiest, as it runs along the West Fork of the Little River.
Charly Becoming — Google review
This is truly a beautiful place. You can kayak, hike, rent cabins to stay in, or just drive up and go see the beautiful waterfalls. They also have a really good restaurant up there called the Mountain Inn. If you ever go through Fort Payne, you need to stop and see this.

Beautiful park! We enjoyed our stay in cabin 7. Despite being adjacent to the lodge, it was very private in the backyard. Lodge Falls is right by the cabin. So peaceful, relaxing on the back porch & listening to the waterfall! ❤
Also loved that there's a trail behind the cabin, which takes you down to Little River. Trails are well-maintained & well-marked. Such a wonderful, peaceful getaway--highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful. I could stop there but I won’t. Large, well spaced camp sites with BBQ grill, (rock) fire pits, and cable TV. Bath houses are modern, SUPER clean, but still rustic enough to feel like camp. Too many trails, falls and fantastic vistas to count. Activities for all ages from adventure to playgrounds to leisurely walks. Cabins, Lodge, Swimming Pool. Wildlife abounds. Waking up on a misty mountain morning with deer grazing next to your campsite is magical. A beautiful fox. Very friendly skunks too! This Alabama State Park truly has it all. The surrounding area (Little River Canyon National Preserve) is breathtaking. Drive along the Little River Canyon Rim Parkway. Stop as many or as few times as you are able. It can be enjoyed entirely from your car, or you can stop and explore. NOTE - Many of the attractions (DeSoto Falls and other geographical features) require moderate to difficult hikes. Do a little research before you head out to make sure you are prepared and have what you need. You can spend a full week here easily. Book early. The online reservation system is convenient, but causes parks to book fast and early for most weekends and especially holidays. Don’t miss DeSoto State Park. Absolutely Beautiful. I’ll stop with that.

Excellent state park. The campground has large, well spaced sites with full hookups. There are back in and pull through sites, all with a fire ring and picnic table. There is a dump station and a super clean bath house. The camp store is for checking in, information and souvenirs only. The park also has a lodge with a restaurant and individual cabins. There are miles of excellent hiking and mountain biking trails. Many of the trails have waterfalls on them. I highly recommend this park and will definitely return.

Very nice place. Was there on sat feb 3rd at 10am ...
Restrooms were locked and its miles to nearest store. This State park had a way for you to pay to park. Just no access to use onsite restrooms. Also park attendant should cut the ugly tree stubs just inside the fence. Ruins most pictures of the falls.

Very nice state park. Plenty of activities available such as camping, hiking, picnicking and more. There are both RV and primitive camp sites. We stayed in the RV section the sites are nice with picnic tables and full hookups. Some of the sites are asphalt and others are gravel.

My husband and I chose to come here to celebrate our 41st Anniversary. We absolutely loved it. The room was great. We enjoyed the restaurant a few times. And there's also a wonderful ice cream shop, not far from the park.. We went to the pool. We went kayaking for the first time ever, we loved it. We walked almost all the trails and saw the beautiful waterfalls. We ziplined for the first time ever. It was amazing, fun and we both said we could do it again. He's 63 and I'm 59. We were able to see many deer in the area and a few squirrels. We both said that we would definitely love to come back again.

Thanksgiving at Desoto State Park. A family tradition!
We have had our family thanksgiving twice at Desoto State Park. Both times… EXCELLENT! This time it was dinner. And even after what I know had to be a hard day, our servers were AWESOME! Super friendly, and in a great mood. Food was great! Turkey was moist and ham was great too. We will continue to make this a family tradition. Oh, and a park ranger took our family group photo. What else could you ask for?

We really enjoyed our visit here and the campground was great. The hiking options were amazing. We came for the waterfalls and fall foliage, had I thought about it waterfalls are a little less impressive because of the drought this year, but we still very much enjoyed the foliage, wildlife and the hiking experience.
Popular destination in the NASCAR circuit featuring major series & top drivers.
We went to, This is Talladega super speedway to do the Andretti ride experience. My son rode the high banks at 180 mph in a race car! We also experienced the museum at the track and it was well worth seeing! The people there were very friendly and accommodating. The weather was great and overall it was a wonderful racing experience, and piece of history. As Ricky Bobby said in the movie, Talladega Nights, I wanna go fast, and If you ain't first, you're last!

I have been to Talladega three years in a row and let me tell you right now that it will never disappoint. Truck Series racing is always feisty and ends with a crazy finish. Cup Series also has had some great races too. And now that the 2024 schedule has come out, the Xfinity Series will be back here as well. Overall great place, great staff and food. The food was great. Highly recommend. My only wish is that there would be an awning over the grandstands. That October sun can get a little warm if you don't put a lot of sunscreen on. But we will be back here next year and will always have fun time.
This is more than a race...
This is Talladega.

Talladega is a special place. Nothing quite like the spectacle of 43 cars drafting together around a 5 lane wide 2.66 mile high speed racetrack. Pure Americana. The action on the track is incredible, but the people watching in the stands and around the facility is just as entertaining. It’s a great place to have a great time. My personal favorite track on the NASCAR circuit.

Great historical race venue. Property is well staffed with both paid and volunteer staff, all of whom are exceptionally pleasant and friendly. Traffic in and out is well managed. I've set in traffic gridlock longer after MLB games which had a quarter of this track's capacity. Was a season ticket holder for 18 years at another track, so I know a bit about this. Fantastic weekend...

So this is Talladega. Fast and Great side by side racing. Except the fan experience is not the greatest. Lots of walking and steps. Limited courtesy ride options and with 1 or 2 elevators for the entire track it's not easy to get around. Old dirty causeways and bathrooms. It's just not a nice track. I keep waiting for updates to their facilities thinking the next time I go back they'll have done something to make it nicer. Nope.
Chris Mathis — Google review
Great experience because the big one always comes at some point. The track is huge and sometimes you can not see the cars and if your not near a screen it can be a little difficult. Bathrooms were fine. Food and drinks were good. Staff helpful. They offer tours which is a great way to get up close to the whole track. Nearby is the tracks own museum which is worth checking out. Camping available, concerts, rodeo and racing.

What a great experience, our track tour guide don did a fantastic job of explaining and answering all our questions. It's amazing just how steep the corners are, very fun, highly recommend. Also highly recommend the museum, it's three buildings full of nascar cars and memorabilia.

Wonderful tour of the facilities. I’ve watched a lot of Dega races on tv, played it in nascar video games and seen Talladega Nights so it was cool to come visit the track! Tour guide was awesome. It lasted 45 mins. They also have a museum you can visit too.

What an amazing track !! We did the pit row experience and that was kinda cool. I think just getting on the lawn and the track was cool! Seats were in Birmingham tower section F. Those were great and also had a bathroom up there that was a lot less crowded. Exit was kinda smooth as well.

Went to the Rodeo last night, had a lot of fun! Neither of the two races have started yet, so I'll probably update this review then. Otherwise, every year I've come, it was an awesome race.
EDIT: Race was awesome, as it usually is. There were less crashes than usual, but it was still fun to watch. I always recommend coming because seeing the race in person is always better than watching it on TV. Except for the grandstands; they're pretty cramped.

Always a fantastic and beautiful place to go! Especially around Christmas time! There are food vendors, a train ride tour that tells you the story behind the falls, a great gift shop, hundreds of beautiful lights, historical homes to look at, and even a small zoo! Great little preserve! Beautiful trees and canyon walls! Lots of caves to find! My sister actually got married in the chapel there, it has been a place I visit regularly throughout the year over the last couple decades! They’ve got it all nice and easy to get down to the falls floor.
Navigating through the old growth trees is visibly easier than it was just ten years ago!
Great place for any type of people! Family’s, kids, friends, groups, etc. they have a fully functioning campground as well as primitive camping around the area!
Cell service can be hit or miss especially if you stay near the falls floor and around the canyon walls.

We had the best time! I think the only thing that could’ve been done better was the falls needed to be lit at night. We could see some kind of lighting, maybe, but we couldn’t see the falls at all. Otherwise we really had an amazing time and everything was so beautiful and organized and none of the lines took too long! We loved it! We walked through, rode the train, saw Santa and ate a lot of delicious junk! Definitely worth the price and 100% recommend. We have already decided to make it an annual trip!

One of the best places you can drive up from Atlanta area, for a single day outdoor event. It's unique compared to other parks. You take a small train where they drop off for a 30min trek or you can park you car on the other side of the Park to enter for free. Either ways you will have fun doing a little trekking and walk over the rocky trail to pass under the falls which was great experience. Then you go down to the water area where kids just love it.

I go here all the time to hike and swim, rock climb, and just chill when I have nothing to do on my off days. You can swim at the base of the waterfall and there are little swimming holes beyond that area that you can find. They also do an amazing Christmas lights show with a train that goes around the park every year if you have kids. And also an animal zoo but I normally stick to the rocks and water. 🤙🏻

You can take a train ride through the falls or walk through it. It has old cabins and an old school from back in the old days. Can't say enough about how nice, clean and attractive this place is. I think it just may be the best park I've visited. Great place for kids. Train ride and lots of room for adventures. The waterfall is about the best I've visited. And I've been to many in Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, West Virginia, about all of the south. Well done Gadsdon Alabama! Christmas At The Falls is always beautiful and the kids love it. It has become a family tradition for us to go every year. My only complaint is the wait time to get on the train. Have never rented a cabin here, but have attended events and partook in the facilities for camping. Outdoor pool, if you're lucky to be there at the right time, wild deer come through for treats children give them. Restroom with laundry area. Beautiful place for hiking, biking, or just a stroll. Jacks restaurant and Dollar General right across the street, as well as meat market for outdoor grilling, or if want a nice little sit down meal, Kati Thai Cuisine and Blackstone Pizza. Internet, camper lots with power. Pavilions are available for picnic or possibly family reunions, is small chapel on site. Theres's mini golf and petting zoo may be going again. The falls are beautiful and great for kids to feed ducks. Good place for weddings. It really is a great place.

Christmas at the Falls is always beautiful, and I’m sorry to give only 2 stars for the rating, but the reason is because of the bathrooms. The bathrooms outside of the gift shop (the main bathrooms) were locked and closed, 40 minutes before the park’s closing time! In my opinion, this is unacceptable. Otherwise we had a great time.
Activity-packed park offering cave tours & a light show plus wall climbing & games.
I think we were there at an unpopular time, because we seemed to have the whole place practically to ourselves - and it was AWESOME! None of us had ever been there before, and we enjoyed every bit of it. The staff was delightful, and it was obvious that they all loved working there. The caverns were beautiful, but what really made it fun was the tour guides. They were funny and informative, and the history of the place is really cool. And then there were all the activities! So much fun. You know it's a good day when the kids are too tired to walk back to the car.
A few pro-tips - don't do the foam pit until last, because you'll get totally soaked. Wear sturdy walking shoes in the cavern. Bring some extra cash for the gift shop, because it's awesome! Wear glasses or goggles in the cannon shooting gallery! Plan to do EVERYTHING!

Great visit here today. We really enjoyed the cavern tour. Great new lazer show during the tour. The group was a little big in our opinion but the guide did well managing it. I think a smaller group would have made for a much better time. But it is a great time if your in the area.

I would give more than 5 stars if I could!
100% totally worth the hour and a half drive from the Montgomery area and the all inclusive tickets. So much information inside the cave. I want to talk all about what we learned but don’t want to ruin any surprises for anyone if they go. A huge 12 story tall cavern the size of a football field. A light show inside the cavern at the end. A beautifully curated gift shop. Lots of fun attractions. Food bar and a coffee bar, fudge and other confections. Very nice grounds/landscaping. Wonderful staff and tour guides. Perfect weather today.

we drove up today from the Columbus Ga Area.. about 2 hrs.
let me say, I'm giving only 3 stars, but it may not be reflective of the location. I'll get to it.
so.. overall, the Caverns park was clean, friendly and family friendly. it's attached to a campground I can't really comment on. it did look fairly nice from a distance. it's only getting three stars because it seemed most all the activities were targeting younger kids. ages 5/6 to maybe 12/13. not terribly exciting activities for slightly older kids. the prices for each activity, seemed a bit high, but I'm not sure how to lower them much and still make $$. a fine line there. We really did enjoy the cavern tour itself. it was a cool experience, and educational with some of the history associated with it.
End thoughts.. if you are passing through the area, if you have young kids, or maybe grandkids, it might be worth the visit. if you have older kids, it's not really worth the stop, and not really worth driving more than an hour for. Again, not a bad place, but not worth the cost + traveling to, just for the cavern park. maybe if you're camping?

We came on July 4th. Great day trip. Cameron’s we’re cool to see and hear the history. Asa was a wonderful guide and juggler!! The laser show was a bit underwhelming, music and sound were good though. Lots of activities for the kids. Some of them need some attention, but overall recommend for a days visit.

The experience was great! It is a little pricey for what you get, but it’s a great experience especially for a family with children! I paid about $175 for four people. The business does try to get people’s business by being very helpful and being polite. The park has a relaxing atmosphere! We went during the week, and there were a good number of people that day. My kids got to experience all the attractions that were published on their website. The attractions are mainly geared for younger people though. If you’re an adult, I wouldn’t invest in the all-inclusive ticket if I were you. The cave trek and laser show should be just fine. The place isn’t pristine perfect, but it’s not as bad as other reviews have made it out to be.

Our family had such a great time here. I was worried our teenagers (19 & 15 yrs old) would be too old for the activities, but that is definitely not the case. It was a lot of fun for everyone! The maze was both hard and hilarious, the air cannons kept us laughing, and the basketball challenge was a pleasant surprise. More to do, but the cavern itself and the tour by Evan was AMAZING. The history of the cavern was so interesting. We loved the experience of being in total darkness, and the waterfall was breathtaking. I really cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you to the entire staff!

Coming from someone who's only ever visited one other cave (Ruby falls) I have to say that the main cavern is a sight to behold it felt like I was in some rock cathedral. The tour guide gave us ample time to enjoy the space, I did not feel like we were rushed at all. The history behind DeSoto caverns is somewhat interesting, but overall you're really there for the view. I would highly recommend anyone who likes caves/caverns, to definitely give this one a go.

Family 4 went today! It was a cold day so not everything was opened. We did everything we could. Cute little place for the family to enjoy. With that being said, I think it is a bit overpriced with everything not opened. Maybe consider a "winter" deal. My 5 and 3 year enjoyed it. We love finding caves and LOVED the laser show after the tour. It was majestic! We will be back and hope to camp out next time.

Overall, we enjoyed our experience. Most everyone was nice and very helpful. The train was inoperable while there, but there were many other activities for the Littles. The tour was great! Our guide made it rather enjoyable. Although, it was a little more on the pricey end. Approximately $50 per person.

My family stopped by and had an amazing time. We had a worker named Ervin or Erwin I believe. He took us in the cave, showed us the many activities (archery, train, water balloons etc.) The customer service was so friendly.
Andrea Montgomery — Google review
The caverns themselves were amazing and our tour guide, Anna, was great, everything else was "eh" at best. First, the tour is WAY overpriced. The grounds themselves are in complete disrepair and are falling apart. The gift shop floor is hazardous, the faucets in the bathrooms were falling off, none of the doors had latches that worked and there are no employees. No signs for directions, no information, nothing. You walk in and just wonder around until you figure things out. $130 for 2 adults and 2 kids is RIDICULOUS if you can't keep the facilities maintained. Also, I personally feel they have completely desecrated the cave. They have made so many "adjustments" and "alterations" you can't tell what is genuine and what is not. The colored lights make it hard to tell what the natural color of the formations are. There are wires running through so many formations and we are asked not to touch the formations, yet, they have destroyed many of them. The light show at the end, although impressive, has nothing to do with the cave itself and is a cheap ploy to bring in more tourism. Overall, I was not impressed with the Majestic Caverns overall and was disappointed that instead of focusing on the history and preserving the caves they have turned them into a money scheme.

This place is pretty cool. From WI and saw this place on Google. Decided to go day off the Iron Bowl, so it was dead. We were told from locals that it gets cold down in the caverns, but rest assured it's a comfortable 60 degrees. It's a guided tour, you can't touch anything- but plenty of photo opportunities and learning. Highly recommend if you haven't been. Waited less than 5 mins to start. Don't forget to tip your guide (Atticus you rocked!)!

The cavern is amazing. Having extra minutes to take more photos would have been nice but we spent 2 days exploring.
Some of the activities need renovations but they were still quite enjoyable.
I was really hoping to get a Majestic Cavern mug (loved the DeSoto clay mugs they use to have before the name change) but maybe one day!!!
We spent 3 days at the campground. Picnic table was rotted and falling apart but that's why we bring own own plastic table ... weather and nature happens. I definitely recommend coming to camp and spend a few days to fully enjoy the park.

We bought the all inclusive tickets online, literally the night before.
They have cave walks every hour, it's about a 45 minute walk through
If you have fidgety kids, I don't recommend the actual cave, but the activities up top are super fun!
All the employees were incredibly hands on, and very supportive of my special needs child.

Overall great birthday experience for my 12 year old daughter & our family as a whole. But the tour is way too long. We didn't get to experience whatever "light show" there was supposed to be. All of the attractions were not available & there should be some type of alarm for the train rides. We were so into the park and enjoying being outside on a nice day so really couldn't pay attention to the time. The gift shop items are a bit pricey and she said the bday fudge was not appetizing. I spent $24 for a bracelet. But I did it for my baby girl.

Camp ground is definitely run down and the bathrooms are disgusting! All 3 bathrooms the toilets would clog and Wobble real bad one of the toilets was leaning really bad about to tip over. Bathrooms do not get cleaned regularly! I stayed for 4 night and didn’t even see a single maintenance worker. Left a message to park staff to call me they never called me back. Toilets leaked sewer water at the base when flushed!! Customer service is terrible! I had called to confirm that they would be opening on Friday once we showed up this guy told us they had closed it was only 11am. After complaining they said they would do just one tour for our group. Very unreliable communication from park hosts. I would definitely not camp here again! Only reason they got 2 starts was because the cave tour was pretty good. Laser show was great tour is not very long and is a little expensive for the duration! I was very disappointed with all the amenities and the camp ground! It’s a real shame because this place is well advertised and seems great online but is very misleading!

I have been going to the Peach Park since the 80s and it never disappoints! They have the BEST Peach ice cream! My 14 year old and I split a small cup and it was a huge portion (too much for us to finish) which is a massive plus in my book! Took the kids this past Saturday and we bought some amazing produce and they had a blast on the playground and walking trail. The staff is wonderful as well! Thank y'all for providing such great memories from my childhood and now my children's, you guys rock!

Never realized Peach Park is actually a park. Both for kids and an RV park. They have swings and everything. Anyway, we had the fried pecan pie with vanilla ice cream and butter pecan ice cream. Really good. They also serve sandwiches and other types of food. Lots of goodies and apparel for sale as well.

5 out of 5 for what it is. It's a small park just off I-65. There's a large shop with all sorts of stuff to buy, including obviously fresh peaches. There is a restaurant and they have homemade ice cream that's pretty good - including of course peach ice cream. There is indoor and outdoor seating, an outdoor area below the deck with a goldfish pond and a fire pit, more seating - just a relaxing space. There is a RV camping area up there hill behind which I assume is attached to the business. Also up the hill from the building is a playground area with covered seating and tables. It's pretty simple - seesaws, swings, a small slide, and a barn with stairs inside with second floor access to large tube slides to the outside. It's a pleasant little escape that small kids will enjoy.

Oh my goodness seriously!! This was a welcome rest stop after a long drive from the beach! Everything from the fresh strawberries as you walk in the door so fragrant! Fresh peaches ,watermelon, veggies to homemade ice cream 👏🏼delicious and barbecue. It was so wonderful to sit outside in the rocking chairs and enjoy the nature park watch family’s play together. Excellent place to let the kiddos burn off that spent up energy from long rides. Gives mom a chance to get a little shopping fix 😂 love little shops like this! I’ll add more pictures of the park this morning on out walk before we head out for Missouri.. I may need to wait for the express shop across the street to open I’ve spied out some yard art I think I need 😍

Pitstop? Passing through? Peach fix? This is your stop! Plenty of “fresh” items to choose from. Pies, produce, and homemade peach ice cream to name a few. Great place to stretch your legs and get something out of the ordinary. Friendly staff as well. Gas stations and fast food joints nearby too in case you have one of those in your company. Keep up the peachy keen work!

Great food and a place to stretch while travelling. Farmers market area in front of the store, small shopping area, and plenty of seating. We had lunch here and it was delicious! Seen the billboards for the place on way to Florida so made sure to stop by on way back. And I was not disappointed!! We had to park in the overflow parking lots they had 2. It was very busy. I was super excited. The smell hits you on way in. It smelled soo good. They also had fried pies, all sorts of fruits. We got some tomatoes, watermelon, candles , turkey sandwich, also some ham sandwiches which isn’t pictured. It was filling & very good. They also had an ice cream shop that was filled up with all sorts of varieties & a small restaurant inside of building for hot food. They have a small souvenir shop but it was too pricey for me. We loved this place & plan on going back sometime soon and just make it a day trip .

What an adorable place to visit! Definitely worth checking out at least once. I believe that it’s intended to be a giant play area to bring your children for some food and fun- but it’s a nice hangout spot for adults too. Playground, gift shop, BBQ, various desserts- they’ve got this worn out horse statue that is very popular with the kiddos. Their trash bins have giant animal heads on them which are a little creepy but also kinda cute, I’ll let you decide which. Live music on the weekends. A large patio/deck for folks to eat on that is dog friendly and has some seating available where you can get a little shade. There’s numerous chairs and benches around the wooded area too if you want a more secluded spot. And some indoor seating as well if you like your air conditioning. They have different specials daily that they post on social media and also display on their white board there. Favorite thing I ordered was the queso waffle fries. My husband has a sweet tooth so really enjoyed their sweet tea but sadly didn’t save any room during lunch for dessert. Guess we’ll have to go back!

We have family in Florida and have always tried to stop by the Peach Park at least once every year for over a decade. It has changed so much in appearance and is an amazing place to kick back relax while letting the kiddos play. The things that haven't changed: the food and desserts. OMG the peach cobbler! If your not sure if you should stop by; just do it! You won't regret it!

This is a beautiful state park!! We were here for a summit and it was pretty chilly outside so we didn't explore any of the trails. From what we did explore via the warm vehicle & experienced of the Lodge and the accommodations, I would highly recommend! The restaurant/bar isn't fully operational during the off season but a beautiful 20 minute drive takes you into town and to City Harbor for dining and brewery options.

One of the most beautiful state parks in Alabama for sure. We wish we discovered it years ago, but, better late then never. This was my first time to stay at this park at their lodge. They offer a discounted rate for state employees if there is availability but I was able to take advantage of the discount. The Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum is home to an astonishing array of motorbikes, dating back over a century of production. The museum also features a 16-turn road course, which is used by Grand-Am Racing Series and AMA Superbike.
Still absolutely in awe of the place. As a motorcycle enthusiast, there was so much to see. Everything was placed well so pictures weren't crowded or difficult to take. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the museum clean and nice. I would have liked to spent several days there as there is just so much to see. This is a Motorcycle lovers paradise. They also have vintage cars and race cars. There is an entire area donated to Lotus. The building is designed so beautifully and the motorcycles and vehicles are very well kept.
You would probably need to spend 4-5 hours to view Museum thoroughly. They also have a nice gift shop.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is also a track at location. This day a private club was using it.
I paid $33 total online for 2 tickets. If you would like 10% military discount you have to wait to pay on site. There is no military discount at store.

Une visite à faire absolument ! Quelle collection immense!

A visit to absolutely do! What a huge collection! Lots and lots of motorcycles, from the very first to the very recent, some crazy, some original, some classics... We'll be amazed. 5 floors of motorcycles, cars and bicycles! And even motorcycle carousels!
We just can't access the basement which is reserved for vehicle renovation but as there is a large well in the middle, we can see the cars being repaired.
And what's more, the icing on the cake, we have access via footbridge to the test circuit! A pretty layout with flowers, waterfalls, funny or giant animal sculptures. And a bridge to clearly see the cars racing.
An exceptional visit! And practically alone!

Superb museum! Never a huge fan of motorcycles before I walked in, but one just can't help becoming one after walking out. The collection is unreal, going back to late 1800s, from all over the world to boot. Plus you can see a race, if they have one when you visit, which makes the place that much more memorable.

If you have even the slightest interest in motorcycles, then the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum is nothing short of a pilgrimage you must make. I've visited this awe-inspiring museum four times, and even that doesn't feel sufficient to fully appreciate the grandeur of its collection.
With over 1,600 vintage and modern motorcycles and racing cars on display, this place is truly the Guggenheim of motorcycles. The collection spans from 1904 to the present and includes bikes from 16 different countries, representing over 140 different marques. More than 900 motorcycles are on display at any given time, so you can imagine the scale of this monumental endeavor.
This museum isn't just a showcase; it's a love letter to the world of motorcycling. With bikes hailing from as far away as Australia, New Zealand, and Sweden, the diversity and depth of the collection are unparalleled. It's no wonder that this Birmingham, Alabama gem is considered the largest motorcycle museum in the world.

This place is amazing. If you are a motorcycle enthusiast, doubly so. They have a huge, beautiful collection of motorcycles. Ranging from the late 1800's, to current production bikes, and everything in between. They also have plenty of cars, with a large display focused on Lotus vehicles, as well as a few other interesting items like outboard motors. The grounds outside by the race track are beautifully landscaped, and there is a trail you can walk with various pieces of artwork throughout a wooded setting. This is the best vehicle museum I have ever been to. Now I just need to get down there when there is a race on their track to complete the experience.

Brice, a new employee of 3 months couldn’t rant more about how much he loved working there, and how great the owner was. He even mentioned the owner knows all the employees by name! He mentioned he’s looking to save his money working there to buy a bike on display! Loved his passion and excitement!
Brice overheard how much my husband, 12 and 2 year old wanted to see the Shelby 1000, he looked at his watch and told us, I’ve got 5 minutes, follow me! He gave us a private tour and my family was through the moon about it!
We had an amazing time, would highly recommend! Thanks Brice for an unforgettable experience!

What an amazing experience!
Words can’t come close in describing the historical value of this museum.
You and your family will not be disappointed in attendance of this establishment. We are lucky to have to have it here in Birmingham Alabama.

Fabulous facility! The facility was very clean and modern. Outstanding collection of motorcycles from all decades and countries. Cars were mainly racing. Motorcycles were primarily clean and restored to factory appearance. Displays very professional.

Even if you’re not a motorcycle/automotive enthusiast, you will be impressed with this collection and how everything is visually presented. Hats off to whoever did the internal structural design and the layout of each vehicle. The staff was super nice, We had a great time including a fantastic tour with Michael. Will definitely be back again.

Great place to kill time and really enjoy the history of the motor vehicle. Loved learning new things especially about the original Harley Davidson office that was burned down by accident! Even had a mini theater to inform everyone about the history of the first motor race and how we got to racing as it is today.

Home to a petting zoo, golfing & beaches, this vast park has camping, hiking trails & fishing.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this park. From the amazing, helpful and accommodating staff to the landscape and activities. We tried to explore as much as possible in our 3 day, 2 night stay and it simply wasn't enough time! Fantastic hiking trails, equine facilities, kayak/paddleboards, camping, the wildlife center. The road construction before you reach the park was an annoyance, but after straightening out our directions it was smooth sailing! We will be back!

This state park and campground are so wooded and very pretty! Sites are somewhat spacious depending on the site you get and where it's located in the campground. They all have a picnic tables and firepit ring. They have a store with limited items, Firewood( $7.50 a bundle) and ice ($4.00? ) to purchase. Bathroom/ shower facilities are in need of serious updating but doable. ( this is the only reason I didn't give this campground 5 stars ). Tons of walking and biking trails right from the campground, nice and cheap laundry 4 of each machines, small beach and fishing
dock to use with such pretty scenery there. My husband is happy he's catching fishing while here! Park staff are super friendly and helpful too. You have to come check this campground and state park out, you won't be disappointed!

Amazing state park in Alabama. A beautiful spot write off of the highway. A lot of trail and activities to be had. We went fishing and had a great time. This is a great place for the family, an outing with a partner, or a space to clear your head. It cost 5 bucks to get in and if your over sixty it cost 2 bucks. Very heavily recommend checking the park out if you love the outdoors.

A beautiful place. You can go right up to the peaville waterfall. I loved my experience. I am planning to come back and camp closer to the summertime. It's $5 a person, and maps are $1. But that was well worth the v experience I had.

Beautiful state park with a multitude of activities. I tent (primitive) camped this week at Oak Mountain. My site (A-60) had a treacherous uneven climb but it was do-able for a fairly able bodied person. I wouldn’t recommend if you are disabled or have knee problems.
The campsite itself was beautiful, fairly secluded and heavily wooded. It overlooks some RV sites but there was enough tree coverage to allow for seclusion.
The bathhouses are an easy walk but they are awful! I heard they are being renovated this year so I look forward to visiting again.
When I visited, I hiked a few trails, visited the bird sanctuary, went swimming at the lake and enjoyed peace accompanied by mild May weather. I can’t wait to visit again!

one of the best places to hike, bike, kayak, fish, camp, grill out, or really anything you'd want to do outdoors besides hunt ( they do have an archery range though). heck l, there's even a beach. I've been going here for 20 or so years and counting and It's just a great way to get outside. if you haven't hiked to kings chair it's a must do (see photos)

If you love to go hiking, this is an awesome state park to visit. Although there were some sections of the trail that were steeper to climb, the reward of viewing Peavine Falls was worth it. We also hiked to the King's Chair Outlook which had a beautiful view of the green forest, mountains (in the distance), and a lake below. There were some beautiful views from the mountain ridge and large rock formations(along the Blue Trail). We also enjoyed hiking to Maggie's Glen - a pretty little area with a small bridge over a flowing stream. Another beautiful hike is The Treetop Nature Trail that follows a meandering stream surrounded by greenery. The beginning of this trail has a boardwalk section where rehabilitated birds of prey are contained in outdoor enclosures. The trails are well marked and there are several connecting trails. We packed a lunch, snacks, and plenty of water to enjoy the natural beauty of this park.

Beautiful park, great location near local shops. Many amenities were closed. Bird rescue exhibit was neat. Playground is nice.

Some nice hikes and pretty views. Also, quite a lot of variety of activities it seems like.
However, for someone like myself only really interested in hiking and camping, there are better places. There are lots of people and many of the hiking trails are shared with mountain bikes which makes them smooth and boring and annoyingly hazardous trying to watch out for fast-moving bikers.
For me, I'd much rather go to Bankhead or Guntersville than Oak Mountain. Both have better hiking, better views, better waterfalls, and significantly less people.

This is an incredible park to visit! It’s HUGE and includes horseback riding, a golf course, playground, kayak & paddle boat rental, swimming area, and more! There were very nice bathroom facilities at all parking areas. Gorgeous views. Drive through road and tons of hiking trails with bridges. Wish we had more than a few hours, I think you could spend several days exploring and still not see it all!
Stickers, magnets, T-shirt’s and stuffed animals at the park office, but very small selections.

Epic! Very friendly people at the gate. Super clean showers and bathrooms. Grills, and campsites kept up! The lake is really cool. Here for the annual Bump and Grind mountain bike race. Nice mountain bike trails. Can't wait to come back next year!

This looks lace is amazing. If you like hiking and being in nature than you have to go see these waterfalls. Not going to lie climbing down to the water fall can be dangerous but if you are in good shape you will have no problem getting down to them. If you are not in good shape, be warned it is no easy task!

A glorious place to hike. The park is dog friendly, and kid friendly. There was plenty of parking, and the restrooms were very clean. Stay the path and you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views like these.

The kings chair trail makes for a moderate hike. Distance is about 7.89 km with a detour @ the Overlook. It took us almost 3 hours. A swim at the lake And a picnic was the best way to conclude a successful day with family.
Good walking/ hiking shoes highly recommend.
The best way to get to the kings chair is to Start Blue trail at North Trailhead take to Kings Chair out and back continue on Blue trail to Red Blue connector. Then Red trail back to trailhead.

Don't miss the opportunity to swim or paddle in the pristine lakes; it's a great way to cool off during the summer months.

Great park on the outskirts of Birmingham. In one day I was able to do a little kayaking, hiking, and mountain biking on well maintained trails. Would definitely consider returning.

We visited the park twice in October/2023. First time we hiked the Rattlesnake Ridge and we actually almost stepped in a rattlesnake in the trail. Second time, We did the Lake trail by bike and it was a great experience. That was a few Fall colors. It must be prettier by November.
The park is very well maintained, bathrooms were clean, there are showers and grills around. Great place to spend the day with family and kids too.

Beautiful State Park plenty of trails we had some nice rain the night before so the falls was rolling. Very nice overlook of the cities seen quite a bit of trash on the trails though which is just sad I wish people would quit throwing trash down.

You do have to pay a $5 fee to get in though. It is a really big park. There's walking trails (I didn't go through the whole area; I mostly stuck to the trails) and there's a big lake. There's an area with cabins as well. It's got some pretty good trails.

This is a beautiful, natural area just south of Birmingham. I was here in the winter and it was a very rainy day. I was still able to stroll around a little bit checking out the Nature Center with protected animals .
I can imagine in the summertime, the park is packed with people hiking, biking and swimming.
Take some time to go enjoy it.

Well maintained and clean. Attendees posted at front and back entrances and routinely patrolled to make sure everything is okay. Camp spots are marked with a post with the #s on them and are color coded to show different conveniences. Campground B doesn't look as well planned as the other sites. Some spots need a well experienced driver to back a camper into. Also could use a big grassy area to play catch, football, or maybe baseball without fear of hitting a car or camper
Harmony Park Safari is a 30-acre wildlife preserve in Huntsville, Alabama, that is home to a variety of free-roaming exotic and endangered animals. The park is family-friendly and open from March to November (including holidays).
Wonderful place. Our great granddaughter is two. We thought she would be afraid. She loved the animals. She didn't want to leave.
This is a day trip worth taking.
Elaine Childers — Google review
Pretty cool place to visit. The animals are used to cars feeding them, so they will swarm your car and if your windows are down they will be all up in your car. Was hoping for more variety of animals, it's mostly deer and emu. There are some variants of cattle, a few miniature horses and a bunch of pigs. There is a giraffe, which is cool, but he stayed pretty close to his pen.
The animals with horns/antlers did a great job of minding their closeness to the car. They got super close, but didn't have any issues with them scratching the paint (I was super worried about that.)

This place is amazing, I took my fourteen your old daughter, and we had a blast it was so much fun so many friendly interactive animals, I would definitely go back again highly recommend it for anybody of all ages to check this place out you will not regret it I can guarantee you that. Literally some of the best fun I’ve had in so long.

Animals were very sweet and all came to meet us in the car. There was plenty of food to go around and a bunch of the deers just followed our car along which was fun. We had a great time.
Jean-Claude Martin — Google review
A bit smaller than expected, and with fewer animal types than we'd hoped. Still a nice time - lots of laughter, squeals of delight, and excitement. We didn't even have any kids with us on this trip yet still had fun. Definitely worth the price, even with slightly expensive animal feed. I mean, how often do you get to interact with llamas / alpacas, exotic deer big & small, cows and bulls with enormously long horns (red, long haired highland cattle & Ankole - Watusi breed)...And many others!?!
Billy Ross — Google review
We enjoyed feeding the animals. I was disappointed that there was no giraffe or highlander cow and they have closed all the walking attractions. No reptile attraction or tortoises. You can not get put og ypur car for any pictures anywhere. When I asked questions about it to see if it was permanent, the woman seemed annoyed. We did enjoy the cows, emus and llamas. Just wished we new giraffe was gone and some attractions closed.

Took my kids and it was smaller then expected but so worth it, we went around twice to enjoy all the animals and feeding them. Some do get aggressive when you stop feeding but it was a wonderful experience and my kids absolutely loved it.
Shetiga Northcutt — Google review
Absolutely an experience! Had allot of feelings about this place but I can say it was really fun. I won't be going back because of the long horns scratching my car I buffed out what I could but it's not worth getting more. Also the long horns were very aggressive and the horns got a little too close for comfort once coming in the car window about half a foot from my passengers chest. Would love to do it again but the scratches from the long horns is not worth it. All that being said I'm glad I went because it was truly a real up close experience with exotic animals!

I took my daughters and their friend here for the first time and we had an awesome time. I definitely recommend checking it out. We fed the animals and even got to pet a few. With Covid, we weren’t allowed to get out of the car and explore but we still had a great time. The staff was super nice and explained everything when we arrived. I will be visiting again very soon.

Amazing!!! It was so much fun! I think a little more emphasis should be placed on what the rules are instead of just being handed a piece of paper. We bought the bucket of food and had a great time! Only thing we would do differently is RENT one of their vehicles! The animals will jump on your car, slobber etc. Renting a car would have been less of a hassle. Also the camel is pretty aggressive so watch out for that.
Charlsey Dyer — Google review
We visited the 4/5/21. We’ve always made this a priority stop when traveling because our family always has such a great time and the barrel of laughs that come when the animals put their head in your vehicle. It truly is priceless.
However this trip was different. The young lady at the window when entering was rude. EXTREMELY disrespectful and downright rude. If she doesn’t like her job she should find a new one. We were totally bummed about not being able to get out and explore at the end and the animals looked terrible. A lot of them were under weight, missing large patches of hair and some even seemed to weak to even get up and come to our van. We’ve had many years of fun coming here, but afraid this year will have been our last.
The Point Mallard Park is a sprawling city park with a golf course, an ice rink, and other outdoor activities. It also has a waterpark with an Olympic-sized pool, a new lazy river, speed slides, squirt factory, duck pond and slide. There are also flume tubes and sand beaches nearby.
This was the 1st time I went to the Hot Air Balloon Jubilee Festival!
It was absolutely amazing.
The balloons were spectacular..
There were thousands of people there, and everyone was enjoying the festivities..
Families brought their children, parents, and pet's..
Everyone was laughing, singing, dancing!
There were all different kinds of food vendors, vendors selling souvenirs..
It was amazing watching the balloons air up, and some were riding people. Some were flying up and around..
There was no one trying to take the fun out of the day!
It was honestly the best time I'd had in a long time!
There was no violence of any kind, thank goodness.
These days and times, the way people want to go around shooting in crowds and killing innocent people it almost makes you scared to go anywhere anymore!
I'm so thankful and happy the whole Memorial weekend was awesome!
We only went on Saturday but it was absolutely wonderful, we spent just about all day and enjoyed every moment of it...
It was my boyfriend and I with our precious puppy, and we all loved it ❤️
I'm already looking forward to next year!!
God bless and thanks for such a wonderful day 🙏

My family loves to come here during the summer...It has something for all age groups. Im not a fan of their restroom/changing areas but what do you expect at a waterpark where everyone is wet and sweaty. Other than the restrooms I would say its pretty clean. I love the option of renting a cabana by the lazy river, it came in handy with the younger kids wanting a spot out of the sun to take a break and it was only $20.00 to rent for the entire day. Dont waist your money renting floats because we were told (by the lady at the rental station) there were abandoned floats all over the park so if you see some just setting around that nobody has been using just help yourself.

Visited for Memorial Day weekend and the annual Jubilee show. Unfortunately not too many balloons went up when we were there. Traffic was a pain but not the nightmare one would think it would be. Many vendors though the food there was subpar, car show was a lot of fun as well. Overall, I recommend to get there very early and bring your own food or eat before going.

Seemed like a lot of money for a mediocre water park. Can't wear goggles in anything and the locker rentals were a joke. We paid $8 for a locker that had the lock broken off and someone else's things in it. We were told they couldn't do a refund! The lifeguards definitely seemed whistle happy and eager to yell at people. After waiting for 45 minutes due to lightning, we ended up leaving.

Bike trail was excellent meandering around the water and the golf course. Relatively flat with a lot of good views. Crushed gravel for the most part of the ride I took with a couple of nine-year-old boys on their bikes— and we did about 45 minutes worth. (just over 20 minutes in one direction before turning back to where we had parked at a pavilion area)

The water park section had a lot more than I expected. Wave pool, tube slides, lazy river, and splash pads and kiddie areas. This is a great deal for weekdays, $10 for adults. Prices for food and drinks isn’t bad at all. We will definitely be bringing the kids more this summer.

This is the second year we've taken our family to Joe Wheeler for the weekend. Last year we stayed at the lodge, but this year the kids (adults) stayed in the lodge and we rented a cottage so that we could have a gathering place. The cottage and location is beautiful. The only problem is that the beds are not comfortable at all. Check in was easy, all of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a great weekend!

This review is for the picnic and swimming area.
First we had to pay to get in, which would've been fine but then come to find out it looks nothing like the photos. There was trash everywhere and even though pets aren't supposed to be allowed on the beach there were mounds of dog poop everywhere. You couldn't even swim because of how gross everything was. I do not recommend swimming or having a get together here.

Campground and bike trails! I'm only reviewing the Campground and the bike trails because we haven't stayed at the lodge. The campground is very nice with a lot of spots having beautiful views of the water. Check the spot map because some spots have shade trees and some have no shade. Full hookups and everything seems to be maintained well. We love to ride the bike trails. Trails are pretty well maintained and are fairly easy enough for most riders. You will see deer if you come here. We see them every time and they are beautiful! It's overall just a beautiful park.

This state park is very relaxing to come to. My family and I love coming here. The rooms are spacious & clean, the beds are comfortable. The staff is welcoming and friendly. They have a great pool. I've been coming here since I was a child. I love the docks that you can walk to as well as the swing set. You can get beautiful pictures of sunsets here. Also great place to see birds. There are so many that build nests at the lodge. It is so cute to see them!
The lodge has a great restaurant. I love the Wheeler burger. Their Easter buffet is amazing and had such a huge selection of items. The gift shop in the restaurant is also fun. I found some cute crystals. Definitely worth checking this location out and spending the night. I love it here! Very peaceful!
They also offer cabin rentals on the lake. The new cabins look beautiful right on the lake. I remember staying at the older cabins when I was younger. There is a fun little old fashion play ground that is great to see still around.

Tours of Wright's only Alabama building, a 1939 middle-income Usonian home with later expansions.
We visited another property owned by the City of Florence and they recommended Rosenbaum to us so we made our way there and we enjoyed the tour. The check in and gift shop is across the street, then one of the staff gives you an overview of this design and architect and some details of how the home came into existance. You walk across to the building and the tour guide gives you details about each area of the home and details of the designer. There are several people in the group but the guide was very informative and patient with all questions. Our guide knew Mrs. Rosenbaum personally and offered several interesting details about the family. Frank Lloyd Wright designed homes in several states and other countries, a neat tidbit of Florence history!

A must, whether you are an architecture aficionado or not. This place does NOT disappoint, and was well-worth my 2 hr drive + $10 admission fee. Our docent Ms. Rikert (sp?) was supreme. Entrance well-marked, ample parking. Those with mobility disability may be limited: short stair steps (rails absent) inside the tiered house. Truly a piece of American. Alabama is lucky to have and hold this.

It was everything I dreamed it would be. I actually teared up when I went inside. I was immediately in love. We couldn't have ask for a better guide either. She was very informative and entertaining. I wish I could hug the mayor that secured the house for an Alabama and American treasure and had it meticulously and properly restored. I want to go back . Wish I could sit and read a book in the library 😊 A must see if you love architecture and have not experienced a Frank Lloyd Wright house. Not recommended for kids and not wheelchair friendly. Tight spaces and corners. The house feels very large though.

As someone who works in Architecture, it’s always great to get to visit the work of someone like Frank Lloyd Wright. When I was passing through Florence and I heard that he had a home there, I just had to make the detoured. The home screams of his style and design. The play is so well done and the local talent is awesome! Helen Keller was an amazing lady and it’s nice seeing her home, learning more of her history.

Beautiful historic house of Helen Keller's Birthplace and family home. Furnishings are about 85% original.
Reservations are not required, but will need about an hour to hear the guided tour and walk the 10 acres to see and read everything. Be sure to walk around to rear of house where the annual reenactment is held. A replica of the house and well where Helen Keller learned how to say water.
The tour guides are very knowledgeable, and photos are permissible.

Ivy Green is a wonderful historic site. Great personal tour of the home is provided by the knowledgeable tour guides in about a 15 minute informative presentation. You can then tour the remaining 10 acres on your own. Allow about 1 hour plus for the visit. The amazing part is the outdoor 2 hour amphitheater play on site ‘The Miracle Worker’! Outstanding cast and unbelievable performance. The play is presented only during certain days so check the calendar.
If you are a pet person you will love this place. We were staying at Joe Wheeler state park and drove over, a little over an hour drive and so worth it. Big, fancy head markers or simple sticks with the dog’s collar on it, dogs from as far away as Michigan are buried there. And each grave has a small bouquet of flowers…the simplest grave with just a rock marker had the same bouquet as the expensive marble headstones. So sweet! Go there!!

I shed tears within moments of walking through the memorials to these beloved pets. Dug through my car for all change I had to continue the tradition of leaving tokens of respect via coins, and even the 901 painted rock I kept in my car. A loving a moving place full of warm and tender vibes, very fitting for a place devoted to the loyal friendship between dogs and mankind.

What a great tribute to some of man's best friends. Set way out in the hills this quiet memorial to full purebred coon dogs displays the love the owners had for their friends.
This roadside attraction has an outbuilding on a concrete base as well as benches to sit on to take in the peacefulness. Each grave has a marker and some colorful plastic flowers that spread out over the grounds making it a beautiful sight.
There is a guestbook to sign and most days it seems that a few visits are made.

Anyone with a love for dogs will find this place interesting. But don't expect you can bury "FiFi" the poodle here. This is hollowed ground for Coon Dogs only. I love bringing out-of-state visitors here. They never fail to really enjoy the trip to this special spot and are impressed with the creativity and beauty of the various head stones. And it doesn't cost a dime!
There is no staff or host here. It is very isolated. No facilities except an old time "out house" which may or may not have paper but will certainly have a stink.

Such an eerie place at night, but still neat to see something so unique. It's a pretty good drive from the highway...about 4-5 miles. It's located in a very beautiful area of Alabama, too. Surrounded by hills, trees, and wildlife. I was disappointed one of the statues had been vandalized, but it's still a sight worth seeing.

Interesting Place. The day we visited a family was having a picnic here. That's real love for a coon dog. They said that several of their champion dogs were buried there. One of the kids pointed out their grave sites. We spent maybe 20min taking pictures and admiring peoples love for their dogs.

Very peaceful. Definately worth the drive to see the respect and love shown to these great dogs. Would love to see the Labor Day celebration!

Way off the beaten path. Worth visiting if you have ever enjoyed or shared the love of a good dog!
Shiloh National Military Park is an outdoor historical attraction showcasing Civil War battlefields and offering self-guided driving tours. The park is well-maintained and provides visitors with a deep sense of the past, including sights such as Corinth National Cemetery and Corinth Contraband Camp. Additionally, nearby attractions include Johnsonville State Historic Park and Tina Turner Museum @ Flagg Grove School in Brownsville.
Laid out like Gettysburg with canons in place, historical markers/monuments throughout the park of what happened where; the film in the Auditorium of the Welcome Center is worth seeing! And DON'T FORGET to visit the sweet couple in the Bookstore/gift shop across the road!... I'd love to go back with More time!

Shiloh National Military Park is great! I love it every time I go, this time I got to bring my grandson. The park rangers are very helpful and knowledgeable. Check in at the visitor center when you first arrive. You're provided with a map of the park, listing all the important places. You drive through the park at your own pace. There are plenty of places to stop and take pictures & learn about the area.

This is hallowed round. What a breathtaking experience remembering such brave souls that died here. This history reminds us of what we should never embark upon again. I was honored to visit this place and look forward to passing this history on. I hope others that visit here experience this same memory as well.

Omg this is one of the most beautiful and profound areas around the area. I just moved to Memphis from California a couple months ago and this is what I imagined Tennessee to look like. Seriously gorgeous. Services are awesome, people nice, and gorgeous scenery. Worth a trip for sure!

The self-guided tour in the NPS app is great to listen to along with reading the more than 20 tour stop signs. It can be done without even leaving your vehicle.
But for those ready for a small stop, the self-guided tour and point you to where walk and see the sites yourself.

Shiloh is one of the best maintained National Military Parks in the country. It is hard to believe what happened here April 6 & 7, 1862. I try to visit every year.

Beautiful and fascinating look at American Civil War history.
A couple of the exhibits and monuments need maintenance or paint, but overall a beautiful and sobering experience. Plan on watching the film at the visitor center and set aside time for the driving tour. Download the National Park Service app for a guided tour.

We visited today. My suggestion is to watch the movie at the visitor center before taking the driving tour. It is very informative, and when you drive to see the places on the driving tour, you have an understanding of what happened where. The park is beautiful, well maintained, and everyone is very helpful. Plan several hours at a minimum.

We are so glad we took the time to stop to visit Shiloh National Military Park. The area of so much sadness is so well presented, paying respect to all fallen soldiers with beautiful monuments and well displayed historical artifacts. Very informative and very humbling.

The museum is closed for renovations but you can see an absolutely spectacular movie telling the story of the Battle of Shiloh. The grounds are open and fantastic!

Loved driving through and listening to the stories. It was raining and cold but we could stay in the car and still enjoy it. Went to the bookstore and found a couple of books. We didn't have time to watch the movie, but we will plan on it next time.

Almost twenty years in the making of taking a return trip to Shiloh. Really the only memory I have as a kid at Shiloh is of a cannon and trees. I finally had the chance and day off to go back down and go on a hike that was offered by the park. I went on Wood's Brigade Hike on Saturday, March 25th, with Ranger Timothy Arnold as the tour guide. The hike was estimated to last 8 miles and and take 6 and-a-half hours, we were finished roughly a little over 7 miles and took us about 4 and-a-half hours. I will say not bad, considering this was my first hike, I wanted to see if I could handle the distance, time and terrain. I have plans to go back when they have more hikes for the anniversary of the battle. Ranger Arnold was excellent and he knew the battle and land extremely well. I had been worried that the hike would be canceled due to the severe storms we had the night before, but to my and other's delight, the hike was still on. I know the pictures I took were not the best, but I wanted to be more in the moment than behind the phone. Shiloh is a really interesting place to be and visit.

We spent half a day here and have to go back. So much history, great rangers, and lots of info concerning the battles fought here. You simply learn more when you experience it, over reading about it in a book. The park is pristine and signage allows you to self tour.
