I loved the decorations inside the place. The workers there were nice and friendly. And the Premium Large Format was perfect for Godzilla: Minus One!!! 🦖😃👍

Best theater i have been to in a long time. The family that owns this place loves and cares about movies. They really push for people to be quiet and stay off their phones which i really appreciate. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Great vibe all around. They even have tons of great memorabilia. If you are a potter fan you will love this place. I am so glad there are theaters like this where it really is about the joy of movies. I will be back as often as possible.
Trill Collins — Google review
A labor of love - the owner really captures the old school movie theatre. The theatre is clean and small. 3 screens all lovingly taken care of. The theaters are themed - we enjoyed the Jurassic Park one. The theme permeates the pre-screen graphics. A must stop for lovers of the cinema.
Ken Schmidt — Google review
Amazing theater. Always great seats. Family owned and operated. Huge Premier Theater with Theater Seating (as in play house theater.). Sound is great. Screen sharpness is phenomenal. The small theaters are amazing for a more personal experience. The 3D movies are always focus and clean. These folks care about your viewing so if you are a movie buff or just want a nice night out I will always advise this cinema.

I've moved to the area in the last few years, and I'm used to going to giant, nationwide cinema chains. I was skeptical at first with this smaller theater, but it was one of the better movie experiences I've had in a long time.
Once the lights went down, the screen size didn't really matter, as I still had that theater experience.
You can tell the family who owns and runs the cinema live what they do, from their friendly smiles and absolutely fantastic decorations and movie props.
The snacks were great. Prices reasonable. And the folks working out front were awesome. Can't really ask for more!
There were a few stairways to get into the building, I'm not sure if there are any handicap accessible entrances yet. Seems to be in an older building, so much guess is no.
Synthetics F — Google review
I could not recommend this theatre highly enough. The staff is incredibly welcoming and passionate about movies. Just walking into the building you get that sense- it’s very clean, well maintained, and decked out in awesome movie paraphernalia and props. My partner and I had a wonderful experience and are looking forward to the next time we are in town.
Laura Baugh — Google review
Great small family owned theater, much better than the big chain theaters. The theaters are small but rarely crowded. The pricing was fair. The employees were friendly. The sound system was a little on the loud side, but at least it was setup correctly... too many chain theaters don't have their sound system setup correctly. I highly recommend this theater.

This is a theater where the owner really cares. My father and I are from Cincinnati and we decided to see Oppenheimer as we came up a day early to our vacation destination at Lake Spofford. The owner gave us a tour and chatted with us for a solid 15-20 minutes as we walked in right when the doors opened. We will definitely try to stop in again next year. Side note for Chad, if you see this review, I'd love to watch that funny rules video you guys show before the movies. That should be on YouTube!

My family and I had such a wonderful time in this smaller family owned cinemas. It was wonderfully decorated and super clean. The screens were well maintained and sounds was great! We will definitely be back.

Small theater with great ambiance. Decorations and setup of the entire theater is great. Friendly staff and an incredible deal to see blockbuster movies with friends and family!

This is a jem. The theater and bathrooms are immaculate and their prices are still family friendly. Truly the best part of Springfield is this theater. The owners and staff are amazingly kind and the best movie themed displays, anywhere! You will not be disappointed!

As always, immaculate. Not a bad seat in any theater. I love this place.

What a great little cinema!
The owner is behind the counter selling tickets, his son gave us a tour of the theater and all the memorabilia and we saw many movie original items!
They have Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Back to the Future, Harry Potter, baby Yoda items and more.
Nice snack bar, spotless floors, comfortable seating (not recliner style but very nice) and clean bathrooms.
The screen was large, and the sound was excellent. We saw the newest James Bond and it was great.
When we are in the area we would certainly love to visit again. Well run family establishment.
Marla Darius — Google review
The best movie theatre / cinema place around. You will enjoy the warm welcome, comfortable seats. and super clean theatre. We appreciate matinee showings during the week. It’s our favorite theatre for current movies.
Karen Beecher-Williams — Google review
Smashing old world cinema, clean and quirky with friendly and helpful staff, comfortable seating, good sound system and very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.
I would give this service 6 stars if I could!!! Every time we come into town we go on a Sunapee cruise and it's amazing! If you are debating it, doooo it! So fun for all ages.
Tickets- they can be bought right online. We always go for the scenic lake tour.
Seats- They start boarding about 15-20 minutes before they leave. Get there early!!!!! You can get the seat of your choice that way. There is seating on the ground level (mostly tables) or if you go up top there are a lot of chairs all around.
What to wear- sunscreen!! You do sit directly in the sun if you sit up top. You may want to bring a light jacket because it can be breezy, but I was fine without one. Be careful of any hats you wear since it is breezy!
The ride- the captain is so great about giving facts about the lake and houses on the lake. It is the perfect amount of talking. They also play light "yacht rock" music in the background. They don't go too fast and it is SUCH an enjoyable ride. There is a bathroom on board and you can purchase drinks (a full bar) and snacks. The crew was very nice and helpful when we had questions. They made sure the ride was exactly 90 minutes and even took us into a cool cove they don't normally go into when it was looking like we were going to arrive back early.
I have never done the dinner cruise. It's the same ride but for $23 more it's a buffet style dinner from the Appleseed restaurant. The only con of that is there is no outdoor seating on that boat.
Meredith Campbell — Google review
I was part of a group of 8 that went on the dinner cruise. It was a very pleasant experience beginning at phone reservations right through the cruise. The boarding process was smooth and we were impressed that the captain himself checked people in and helped get everyone to their reserved tables. The staff was ready to take drink orders right away and the bartenders kept up with the orders - not a small feat when about 100 people order within 10 to 15 minutes! We thought the food served at the buffet dinner was delicious. The staff notified each table when it was their turn to go to the buffet which also kept things running smoothly. There was plenty of space for anyone who wanted to go outside on the upper decks. The lake itself is beautiful with many beautiful homes on the shore. It was difficult to hear the captain’s narration which is understandable during a dinner cruise. The price of the ticket includes a two hour ride along with dinner. We felt it was a great value and a super fun activity for a girls away weekend trip.
Charlene Schwartz — Google review
Such a fun thing to do with family and friends this summer! The crew is so friendly and the food is delicious. We had the best time and will definitely ride again and again.
Emily Sylvester — Google review
Our cruise was a 2:00pm afternoon departure. We got prime seats on the top deck in front of the captain. This was a guided tour so the captain told us little tidbits about things as we passed them. He was awesome and you could tell he loved Lake Sunapee. When he wasn't cajoling us with facts, the speakers played an abundance of awesome music. Drinks and snacks were available at very good prices and there was a bathroom on board. All in all, a very delightful hour and a half tour around a beautiful lake.
Kathy M — Google review
We held a Rehearsal Dinner aboard the MV Sunapee. What an event! Karen, Tim, and Captain Al took great care of us and made sure our cruise was amazing. We did the Captain's Charter with an open bar. The cost, including the bar prices, was completely reasonable. The MV Sunapee held 30 of us very comfortably. The stuffed chicken breast was juicy and tender and everyone raved about the prime rib. They went above and beyond to accommodate a food allergy. A dinner cruise was a unique venue for a rehearsal dinner and we had many guests tell us how great it was. We highly recommend Sunapee Cruises for any dinner charter event. Thank you Karen, Tim, and Captain Al!
Judi West — Google review
Great local experience. From the young deck hand with a constant smile, to the friendly Captain, to the simplicity of the boarding process. This was a very personalized experience. The locals seem to welcome the tour on the lake, many clang a bell at the vessel expecting the bell clang in return. Nicely stocked bar and light snacks are available on board or bring a picnic lunch, they're fine with that too. Very warm and welcoming adventure. 90 minute cruise with some very interesting local area facts. Two lighthouses were a bonus!
Lisa B — Google review
The sunset dinner cruise was a delight. The staff is friendly, professional, and helpful. The buffet offered lots of options. The food was pretty good. The lake tour was beautiful. The narration was difficult to hear.
Bethany Paquin — Google review
Very nice guided cruise around the lake. Pointed out some history and features throughout. Nice way to relax and enjoy great views around Lake Sunapee
Mike B — Google review
Booked a dinner cruise for my birthday.. everything was wonderful! The food, the crew and captain.. my only complaint was a large party who were very much enjoying themselves behind our table so the narration couldn't be heard.. but that's okay because we ended up spending some time outside taking in the foliage and scenery!

Cornish-Windsor Covered Bridge
Bridge
Sights & Landmarks
Recreation
Historic 1800s wooden bridge connecting Vermont & New Hampshire, flanked by colored foliage in fall.
The Cornish-Windsor Bridge is an iconic marvel connecting Vermont and New Hampshire. Built in 1866, it's the longest wooden covered bridge in the United States, offering a captivating blend of history and stunning river views. Crossing over the Connecticut River, this bridge is a testament to craftsmanship and durability. Its lattice truss design and deep red color make it a photogenic spot, especially during the fall foliage season. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a photography buff, or simply seeking a scenic drive, the Cornish-Windsor Bridge is a must-visit, encapsulating the charm of New England.
Vic Deadly — Google review
This bridge offers great photo opportunities. Mt Ascutney in the background, the railroad bridge to the south, and of course, the beautiful Connecticut River all around.
The day we visited, we had a pair of bald eagles cruising the water. This is still a functioning thoroughfare, so walking across the bridge requires a modicum of caution.
And, of course, don’t ride your horse across, unless you are prepared to pay the fine!
DL Hirst — Google review
Beautiful bridge and very long. Saw this on my way to Saint Gaudens NHP in NH. Loved the sign on the bridge indicating cost for horse and buggy to cross. Plenty of room to stop and shoot pics.
Terri Moore — Google review
We parked our car in Windsor and we walked to the bridge. It's not made for pedestrians, and we couldn't get to the other side to get a better picture of the whole bridge as there were always cars passing by and it can be dangerous.
We weren't sure if there was a way to park our car in the other side so that we could take better photos, that's why we chose to come on foot.
André Marques — Google review
These covered bridges are worth the visit. This one you can drive through. It was great seeing it and driving through. What a trip indeed! Nice photos with the water and all.
Bob Morris — Google review
Great to see it and walking through it, can still smell the horses, it's one of the few bridges that can be seen from interstate 91
S W — Google review
Travellers, the Cornish Windsor bridge in both New Hampshire as well as Vermont is a New England gem. The bridge is very interesting and unique. It is made entirely of wood and is still and has been continually in use. It is a large covered bridge and spans the Connecticut river which is the boarder between the two states. The sites and sounds are utterly charming. Check it out. We recommend.
TLDR - The bridge is worth the ride
Lisa DeWitt — Google review
Fun to visit the longest covered bridge! Parking available, but not designed for tourists. Have to walk along a short stretch of the busy road to get close for pictures. Too narrow and dark to walk into the bridge safely.
C Adams — Google review
We stumbled upon the Cornish-Windsor Covered Bridge this week. We were heading from NH to VT. You can stop and park on the NH side, hence the posted pictures. According to the on site sign, this is the longest wooden bridge in the United States and the longest two-span covered bridge in the world. I wonder why I never heard of this before! This bridge crosses over the Connecticut River from New Hampshire to Vermont. Even if you're not into covered bridges, this one is something special to see!
Dr. Carole Gadomski — Google review
Beautiful condition. The water, sky, weather, and bridge made for a exceptional photo. Hopefully I’ll find the time to do a painting of this beautiful bridge. Well worth the the ride there.
Verne Thayer — Google review
Longest historic covered bridge in the United States. There is a recent bridge in Ohio over the Ashtabula River, which is 613 feet long, with pedestrian walkways on both sides. Dedicated in 2008.
VermontGuide — Google review
We crossed the bridge twice and used the pullout on the NH to take photos. It is an impressive monument to history and worth seeing!
The nation's largest collection of historical machines & tools, housed in a former armory.
I am OBSESSED with the American Precision Museum. I've wanted to go for over a year and finally made it. The collection of machinery blew me away, and the museum contextualizes the history of manufacturing in New England beautifully. Their staff is kind, passionate, and knowledgeable. My personal favorite part was seeing the Bridgeport Milling Machine, Serial #1. Worth the trip :)
Tiernan Murrell — Google review
Excellent exhibits, working equipment, wonderful staff to demonstrate and explain.
Illustrates how past innovation built the future.
Highly recommended! Though small in area, it is chock full of interesting displays. We spent 3 hours here.
G Hammer — Google review
This museum is wonderful!
It's in a former armory and factory, located on a river for what was once direct hydro power. This is a great place to bring engineers, makers, and gadget nerds.
The museum traces the history of precision manufacturing from the first interchangeable parts on into the modern era of additive manufacturing and computer-numerical control. The history of ingenuity and the capacity it produced won wars and propelled us into the industrial age.
Knowledgeable staff patiently explained features and functions that weren't quite clear to us guests from looking. They have by far the nerdiest selection of books I've ever seen in a museum gift shop.
They also have an amazing collection of working miniatures, and—somehow—Bridgeport mill serial number one, from 1938.
Dvorty girl — Google review
Good variety of old precision machines and tools. Well displayed. Many unique and of special historical significance.
Not a huge collection but well worth the visit.
Brian VanDiepenbos — Google review
I’ve been wanting to visit the Precision Museum for quite some time. I was just waiting to find someone nerdy enough to join me. An old friend, and railroad buff, proved just the right cohort.
This place is awesome. They are doing some remodeling right now, so I dropped one star. I suspect, on my next visit, I can add the fifth star. And yes, there will be another visit!
Do not pass up on the 10? 12? minute movie to start. Professionally done, and really sets up the rest of the tour. The docent yesterday, named Joe, was fabulous. He put up w our questions no problem. He knows the place very well.
The garden along the river is beautiful. There was a lady reading a book there. Said she never has been inside. Just a great reading spot.
It’s small, of course, but big enough. Spend an hour and you can see everything. Spend another hour, and you can read most of the exhibits. Well worth your time!
DL Hirst — Google review
Barbara and Paul were both so helpful and friendly. We actually spent 2 hours there. If you are interested in the workings of machines old and new this is a great place for you and youthful inventors.
Linda Cormier — Google review
The miniature machines will blow you away!
Even moreso when you find out that they were made by a 14yr old German lad 😳
The collection is diverse, and we learned that there are two more floors full of machines! (NOT accessible) 😭
My favorite was the reproducing lathe for gun stocks.
It's amazing what they could produce back then.
Gene Golden — Google review
The lady there was really nice. The museum was interactive and informative. I could have spent hours playing with the machines.
Falicha Ellis — Google review
Constantly working to improve the experience for visitors and growing their outreach in education and awareness, this is a cool place for people of all ages. You can learn about some of the innovations that took place over the last 175 years, with an eye to the future and inspiring the next generation.

I absolutely loved this museum! I learned alot about machinery and also had a nice time talking to the nice gentleman that would answer any question. He was really pretty cool! I highly recommend going.
april evans — Google review
Awesome displays of early machining tools. Some models but REAL BELT POWERED tools make up majority of exhibits. Current and former machinists serve as guides. If you are in the area don’t miss this gem.
W Lowell — Google review
Staff were knowledgeable and engaging. As an engineering student, I felt right at home and enjoyed learning about the history of the machines I use in school. We were able to see both old and new machines, some of them even running!
Brooke Moss — Google review
Cute small musuem but with lots of info and some hands on demos. Also has some 3d printing demo and info too! There's a family discount. And plenty to see.
Christine Butler — Google review
If you're into industrial revolution and machinery, this is a very cool museum. Very knowledgeable employees, also very friendly. They provide a self guided audio tour. The displays were very cool! I think it's a must do! I was so into the history and how far we've come, I forgot to take pictures. Sorry...
Resort with ample skiing terrain & modern amenities, plus an adventure zone with a mountain coaster.
Loved it! Went there in the first half of March. Well maintained trails (of course when weather permits). Many trails are wide and what I liked the most, have hills (so you always go up and down). Because of the way those trails (green included) designed, you need to work with your legs all the time. Those trails are really good for curving. Friendly staff, good and not very expensive food.

I recently had the chance to visit Okemo Mountain Resort in Ludlow, Vermont, and I have to say, it's an absolutely fantastic ski destination.
The resort has a wide variety of runs for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities, from gentle beginner slopes to challenging expert trails. The snow conditions were also excellent - the mountain received plenty of natural snowfall and the grooming was top-notch.
One of the things that really stood out to me about Okemo was the attention to detail. The resort goes above and beyond to make sure that their guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the amenities - including a range of dining options and a cozy fireplace lounge - were all top-notch.
Overall, I highly recommend Okemo Mountain Resort to anyone looking for a fantastic ski vacation. Whether you're a beginner or an expert, you'll find plenty of great runs to enjoy at this beautiful resort.
Youtubeless Dylan — Google review
Very nice resort. We did it with an epic pass discount so it was even better. Very convenient and easy. Also, it spoils everyone so you will never do skiing any other way. Pool and hot tub on premises to dip in after skiing. Other amenities available also, like massage place, but that has to be paid for seperately. I recommend this. Do it once and you'll understand.
Wojciech Paciorek — Google review
Make no mistake, this resort is not the west coast but considering that it’s on the east side of the country, they do a great job creating an experience that is certainly similar to resorts in Colorado and Utah
YR — Google review
Went skiing her for two days. I have to say, I was very impressed with their lift system and slopes. There are enough trails for all skill levels, and certainly enough space to explore. We really liked the express lifts, since they had so many options once at the top. We may be coming back since we enjoyed ourselves so much.
Stephen Dule — Google review
What a fantastic mountain.
I was able to ski over Easter weekend at Okemo and had a fantastic experience.
The parking ticketing, rental,
and lift staff were efficient, kind, and helpful with friendly and cheerful spirits.
It was obvious they were happy to be there.
The resort was clean, well kept, and organized.
The views were amazing from all over the mountain, and the air was cold, crisp, and clean.
The slopes were in great condition, and the lines were short.
The greens and blues were correctly denoted, with a few blacks maybe being blues..., but the trails were great.
I look forward to heading back next season for a week long getaway.
Dean Jones — Google review
This was our first trip to Okemo. We took lessons last weekend and our instructors (Chip and Richard) were both wonderful! The lessons really catered to skill level. The trails were well maintained and the food was fine.
It was extremely busy the weekend we went and we had to park in one of the lower lots. We would have preferred not having to shuttle but the shuttles ran frequently/were pretty convenient
Katie Deats — Google review
Very nice mountain with well-groomed trails. They use a multi-lift system to get you around, which makes the runs a little shorter. Would recommend studying the map before going.
If you plan on bringing your own food, would suggest packing a small bag to bring on the slopes. Parking lots are pretty far from the base. Multiple options to eat at lodges. Typical resort pricing ($$)
Chris Toomey — Google review
Nice big ski resort with plenty of trails for all skill levels. Loved the bubble ski lift, it keeps me comfy during the ride to the top. Staff were friendly and helpful. An amazing choice for skiing on the East Coast!
Kiet TT — Google review
Great mountain for skiers who are just graduating from greens, and there’s some hidden stuff off the top for the hardcore bunch. Good beginner (and advanced) glades, too. Easy drive from BDL airport. Restaurants are expensive and pretty low quality — I had one of the worst Bloody Marys of my life, including aboard airplanes, at the Solitude lodge. Pack a lunch and drink off-hill — the Loft is a legendary apres ski joint, though it gets jammed to the gills by 4 pm. In-town, Game Bird does great fried chicken and will keep your kids entertained for a couple hours.
Alex Wayne — Google review
Found this last minute after our other hotel fell through. Came up for the Spartan Vermont weekend at Killington and this was a short 15-20m ride over there. Room was spacious and loved the loft option. Comfortable beds and sofa pullout with plenty of room for 3 guys. Definitely coming back with the family to explore their adventure park behind the resort!
Matt F — Google review
Nice resort with a lot of trails, but can get very crowded during the holidays, lift lines could get long at times if you were with groups of people. If you go to the opposite side of the mountain it is more open, also there is no night skiing so it closes around 4. Found and drink wasn’t outrageous for a ski resort.
Steviejr — Google review
Can I just tell you that I absolutely love the ski instructor my 10 year old daughter had. I think his name was Nicky. He was very laid back, not push and had so much patience with her. He talked nice with her. She actually got one on one time the whole time. She actually likes ski now too. She wouldn't do the lift and he wasn't pushy about it. I was happy she got someone nice bc she is a very stubborn girl.
Angel Collins — Google review
My group and I had a fantastic time here... of course we were here when it was super warm yet the Okemo Team did a great job of grooming the runs in preparation for the warm weather each day! BEAUTIFUL Resort! Would recommend this hill to anyone looking to ride on the East Coast! Great runs for all levels of experience!

Scott was fantastic. Very kind and encouraging. We enjoyed working with him and on my first time skiing ever, I was able to ski a regular slope! He is aware that people have different styles for what work for them and encourages you to find your individual comfort in skiing, both mentally and physically. Highly recommend Rick was an training to run his own lessons and he was awesome too.

Normally a great resort on the Epic pass, however this time the last lift closing early forced us to finish skiing in the South Quad Village. This is a condo real estate development still under construction. There was no operating chair, no staff, nothing.
We called the main help desk, and they gave us a number to call for a shuttle driver, who we discovered was in Florida upon calling. There are no Ubers in the area.
We were forced to walk an hour and forty minutes back to our hotel at the other side of the resort. This walk was in full gear, snow boots, while carrying our skis.

We did not stay at the resort but we spent 2 days on the slopes and had an amazing time! The views were just astounding!

Kicked off 23/24 season at Okemo and it has been a great start! Great top-to-bottom run options given it’s still early season, friendly staff, and goos service! Shot out to ski patrol Ryan, he is awesome!! Highly recommended this place for all skiers and snowboarders :)
Max Chen — Google review
Went to get my Epic pass at the ticket window because I was told after a call with guest services that I had to have my pass verified at the resort because it is a college pass. First of all very poor on communication with that from epic as there is nothing on the website that states that when you buy a college pass. While I was at the ticket window I told the lady and she was nice about it and pulled up my account, then behind her another lady comes up and tells me I have to have a printed list with my credits and classes on it meanwhile I have my college ID and my class schedule for the semester.the lady was down right rude and said she’d let it slide just this once. I understand showing proof but the people at the resorts take it to an extreme to prove that you are in college. They are money hungry and don’t want anyone who is not in college to buy it leaving it to be difficult for the people who are truthful and actually in college.
Claire Doychak — Google review
Took a mid-week day trip and found all the trails to be well groomed with a good amount of snow. Lines were not overly busy, and I was able to get in my fair share of runs!
There’s a shuttle that will take you from parking at the base to the lifts. There’s not a lot of direction around the shuttle systems, but I was able to find my way back fairly easily by asking the staff.
Recommend Okemo for a great day of boarding!

Wonder first experience skiing! The rental place is like a well oiled machine. It was quick and friendly service. We had lessons and the instructors were very knowledgeable and helpful. My daughter was able to go from Red to about the end of yellow. She was also skiing in the terrain area. We stayed at Jackson Gore condos and the amenities were excellent with gym, hot tubs, in and outdoor pools and more. The cafeteria was crowded during lunch (hard to find a seat) and the food was ok. I would suggest to go early, beat the crowds, eat and early lunch and while everyone is eating lunch you can ski. At the waffle cabin we had delicious warm cider and a chocolate and plain waffles. They were warm and made fresh. We had a wonderful weekend. Will definitely come back.
Bernadette Bennett — Google review
Didn't stay at the resort but had a good time riding the slopes. The mountain is very beginner friendly with progression terrain park and at least 3 carpets with wide bunny hills. The Jackson side is better for beginners and has a nice fire pit after a day on the slopes. They didn't check for tickets at the carpet. There's no shuttle parking on the Jackson side. The main mountain side had shuttles but it was very slow when everyone was trying to leave at the same time after the lifts closed. The slopes on the main mountain side were more fun to ride, on one trail you go directly through an underpass. Rental was friendly and fast. Unfortunately, the slopes were very icy on our visit and there wasn't any high speed lift. Every lift took a while to reach the top. I definitely appreciate the slow down when the chair reaches the top for people to get off.

Great mountain with lots of varied terrain. Something for everyone. Lifties do a great job of keeping things moving. New chairlifts make for fast and comfortable rides up

The Winter place is the place to be! We stayed at the new construction last year and did not like that we had to get to the lift so that we could ski. We tried the lodge that allowed us to ski right away, and it was a blast! The lodge itself is not new, but is nicely kept and had everything that we needed. Plenty of blankets, a fireplace, a view!, space and a spacious dining room, laundry washer and dryer, beautiful bathrooms, although they could have washed the shower curtain liner, in the one bathroom. The place was overall clean. The toaster was a joke--small, old and useless! Please upgrade immediately! Get a more efficient 4 slice toaster--think of families or couples who want to eat together. There were no kitchen towels, which was a bit disappointing, we used paper towels- we are trying to save a tree, but you see where this is going!?
The pool was lovely a bit much on the chlorine --eyes burned up on entry. The hot tubs (2) were wonderful, but you have to bring your own towels. The entire experience was excellent. It even snowed in the early morning then warmed up, how awesome is that!

Great place for a family ski week. Lessons were helpful, runs are a blast. Very family friendly. Looking forward to our next visit! (Tip: bring groceries with you if you want to eat in your suite).
Modest inn set in a ski resort with dining, mini-golf & ice skating, as well as pools & a sauna.
Had a great stay here over the weekend! The resort is super clean with a good amount of amenities. We stayed in a queen bed and sofa suite with the full kitchen. The kitchen had a stove, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, plates, knives, etc. It saved us a good amount of money on eating out. The room was clean and awe had a beautiful view of the mountain and pool. We enjoyed the jacuzzi tub in the room, the hot tubs outside and outdoor pool, as well as the indoor pool and indoor hot tub. The stay did not include breakfast but the breakfast we did eat was good with good portions. The hotel has a a fun mountain coaster that was closed for our stay and lift as well. The parking was really convenient and it was close to the elevator that led to our room. The only thing I did not like was going to the outdoor pool and indoor pool. Both pools were a little hard to get to. The outdoor pool can only be reached by the South Elevator and indoor pool requires you to walk outside to a different building to access it. I can imagine in the Winter running to the pool house! Overall the stay was pretty good and we are planning on returning. Highly recommended!!

Room was clean and beds were fine. Not much furniture, basically bare bones rooms. No breakfast service. Dinner available in restaurant but limited menu and very pricey. No microwave or small fridge in regular rooms. Pretty plain decor, materials used were basic for trim and furniture. Room a bit beat up as far as wood trim and old furniture. Two outdoor hot tubs but one not working. Convenient to slopes as it is ski in and ski out. No coffee in lobby for guests. Not too impressed with this hotel.

My mother and I went to Jackson Gore this past weekend to attend a family gathering, and we were utterly disappointed with how this place was ran, presentation, and services provided.
We arrived and were placed in an area that was from the Shining, and the room itself was from a Motel 6. Paying 200 dollars a night for something like that is not acceptable in my opinion.
After going back and forth with the front desk people we were able to get an upgrade... but it gets worse. We get into our new room and there is stains on the floor. Looks like dried blood or even some sort of pink beverage. We were too tired/mentally exhausted to complain. Our trip was ruined, and will never be returning here again.

We absolutely love this resort! Awesome accomodations. Gorgeous views. Nice pools (there's an indoor and a heated outdoor) and whirlpools. Everything is clean. Comfortable beds. The gym is decent. The staff is amazing as well.

Reviewing Tavern:
5 star in the context of Jackson Gore options for sure. Beer was ultra cold. Expect everything to be expensive. The food was surprisingly good, however. French onion soup came piping hot and was so rich. Maple buffalo wings had just the right mix of sweet and heat. Signature burger with that bacon chutney was to die for. Well executed me and great service by our waiter. Honorable mention is a giant fried chicken sandwich that I didn't try but friends loved.

Great place for beginner skiing. Other parts of the mountain are much more challenging. You need your vaccination card to get anywhere indoors, but not if you are planning only on staying outside. Overall, a nice place for a good day on the slopes!!
Not a very snowboard friendly mountain, a lot of plateaus and congestion causes you to need to remove your bindings and basically crawl to where you want to go.

PARENTS BEWARE! NO CRIBS AVAILABLE
We booked a full week in early December with two toddlers and went with the expectation that there wouldn’t be much, if any, snow but that some of the slopes would be open for occasional skiing - we were correct. But we ultimately chose to stay at Jackson Gore Inn because, despite there not being snow and the slopes being partially open, the resort had SO MUCH going on - mini golf, waffle cabin, mountain coaster, ice skating, a restaurant on site and a pool. We were incredibly disappointed that of that list of amenities only the pool was open.
We asked if we could leave and were told that wasn't how they did business. So, we decided to stay and asked for a crib for our 1 year old. We were told that not a single hotel in the state of Vermont has baby cribs due to COVID. Okay, but as a resort that welcomes guests from far and wide you shouldn’t assume that people know that. Unacceptable. Again, TELL US WHEN WE MAKE THE RESERVATION! Instead, we had to drive over an hour to BUY a crib for the remainder of our stay. To which the staff told us, “Yeah, that’s what you’re going to have to do”.
We did enjoy the pool and the arcade...

We didn't stay here however, we came for the outdoor adventure park. The place was beautiful and the employees were very nice. We, also, used the indoor pool and that was very clean and well kept.

While we selected this hotel for the proximity to the ski lift, we were severely disappointed with everything else.
Upon arriving at the hotel, there was a mix up with the room. The hotel staff apologized and explained that this happens often and we would be compensated accordingly for this issue. While traveling with my father, we needed two separate beds. However, the hotel was sold out and there was only one "queen" bed available. The staff attempted to find another available room, however, they were not able to. In an attempt to mitigate this issue their only solution was to provide us with an air mattress. Not a pull-out couch, not a roll away, not a portable twin bed, not a cot. An air mattress. I didn't realize that I paid an arm and a leg to sleep on an air mattress. As a business in the hospitality industry, it is unacceptable for them to not have a better option for paying guests.
When we finally arrived in the only room that was available, the room was dirty. There was dust everywhere, as if it hadn't been cleaned. Furthermore, the queen bed was actually a full-sized bed. Then when the safe finally brought the air mattress and a mini fridge to the room, it was missing parts, and they weren't willing to even try to help. I had to ask for their help. It further demonstrated a lack of professionalism and communication with the staff.
The next morning, I went to the front desk to ask about switching rooms and ended up by chance speaking with the manager, Carly. Carly informed us that we would be able to switch our room and the staff would transfer our bags while we were skiing. After a day of skiing and getting a new room key, we discovered that our bags were not transferred for us. In fact, we had to transfer our bags. Upon returning the trolly back to the front desk, I saw Carly and informed her of my disappointment with the customer service.
The next day while we were checking out (with a new staff member), the manager said quietly that she needed to adjust our bill. However, it has now been weeks and I have yet to see an adjusted bill or credit to my credit card.
This hotel staff at Jackson Gore Inn is full of promises that they don't follow through with. In the past, we stayed in Switzerland during ski season a similar rate as we paid here and the customer service was night and day. In Switzerland, they were quickly able to separate a king bed into two separate twin beds, they transported our bags to our room without issue, provided additional transportation, maintained a clean environment.

Okemo / Jackson Gore has been a part of my life and now is a big part of my childrens lives. We're very lucky to be able to afford a luxury activity like skiing and with that in mind I can't help but notice many changes since Vail has purchased the resort. Most recently I was there on a weekday and less than half of the mountain lifts and trails were open. Despite an apparent lack of staff on the mountain there was a very persistent parking lot attendant who was really concerned about a group of elderly ladies with a handicap placard and how they parked too close to the drop off done. The same attendant thought I was pulling a fast one for parking too close to the ice house. It was fun to watch a power trip and misused resources at the same time. Kids had a blast, which is all that really matters, but I hope Vail starts investing in quality employees instead of trying to cut labor costs some more.

Photos of us by the fire pit across from the door to the bar! Fast bar! The are super quiet then insanely busy. Then super quiet..the bar professionals are always ready whether it’s hot chocolate to go or a French 75 and lunch. We loved the service and the warmth and happy feels at the bar. Skiing has this affect ! I guess. Joyful moments of adventure followed by bar relaxation!

It's really really clean, has very thoughtful room design, has great toiletries, amazing views from windows. No toxic fumes in the swimming pool. In suite jacuzzi and kitchenette is ultimate comfort. The lobby is beautiful and onsite restaurant is great! Overall I'd rate the amenities over Omni Mount Washington for a relaxing stay. The best thing is the snow tubing for no skiers and on site daycare. The staff was exceptionally kind and nice!

We had a 2 bedroom with a loft. Space was great- super clean and had what we needed. TVs desperately need to be upgraded- no way to do Netflix etc. Also might be helpful if they had quiet hours. People are loud in the hallways and it can get annoying. Parking garage is awesome but it fills up.

It's important to be cautious of the reservation terms. Despite booking a room 48 hours in advance, I was informed that canceling required a 30-day notice. When I expressed that this was impossible, the response was simply "I understand," which left me puzzled.

We stayed here for thanksgiving weekend for early season ski. It’s our first time here and found out the Jackson Gore ski area will open in early Dec. the clock tower base is an easy drive or you can ask shuttle service. The hotel area is new and pleasant. The staffs are all very friendly, attentive and nice. They made effort to make our stay convenient and comfortable. While the restaurant is not open for breakfast, there are complimentary continental breakfast for the guests. The Wi-Fi didn’t work. It was okay for us. We borrowed DVD and had old fashioned family time. There were small numbers of trails are open for ski. I was a bit worried about some bad Epic pass reviews, but found the ski staff were equally friendly and the services were good. My only complaint is the trails opened were a bit narrow and many people stopped on the trails. Maybe in the peak season it can get better. Overall liked the vibe and service!

The only thing good about this “resort” is how close it is to the mountain. Front desk workers were bored and uninterested in providing any sort of customer service. The decor looks like it was purchased in 2004 from an estate sale. Rooms smelled bad. Hallways smelled bad. Bar had more kids in it than adults. What makes this place a resort besides resort prices? An outdoor hot tub? I wasn’t sure what water was more luke warm, the indoor pool or the hot tub. The only reason you would come here has to be nostalgia because it’s just a huge waste of money.

We stayed here this weekend. The staff and room were fantastic. They even upgraded our room without asking. Our room was clean and well set up. We are not skiers but would love to come back in the summer for all the activities you offer and a great place.

The location is obviously fantastic, being on the mountain, but the rooms are not sound proofed, all the furniture is old and cheap, and the gym doesn’t open until 7:30. The gym not opening until 7:30 is totally absurd and unreasonable. This is not a 3-star hotel.
Historic Shaker community site with buildings such as the Great Stone Dwelling & gardens to tour.
I stopped here on a whim with my family as we were traveling. Not knowing what to expect, we were honestly blown away by this experience. The Shaker's are a fascinating group to learn about and their craftsmanship is top notch. The tour lasted 1.5 hours and the guide was genuinely knowledgeable and passionate.
This museum is also a Blue Star Museum which means military families are free for entry.

We honestly knew little about Shakerism previously. The visit to the Enfield Shaker Museum was a spontaneous decision as we were just driving around a small portion of New Hampshire and Vermont. Although we did not have any idea what to expect, we found the Enfield Shaker complex to be a highly interesting and informative historical site. The original Great Stone Dwelling houses the museum's store and was the focal point of our private tour. Our guide was quite knowledgeable but much was left to an introductory video and many sets of old photos posted along the tour route. Unfortunately, the impressive Mary Keane Chapel was not accessible due to a wedding. Unless you have an interest in this Protestant Christian sect which practiced celibacy, pacifism and equality of the sexes and races or just want to expand your worldly knowledge, the Enfield Shaker Museum is probably not a destination attraction.

Absolutely beautiful. The location and the building and breathtaking and inspiring. I’m so happy to have seen it and felt it. Loved the unfettered access to the history within the buildings and around the grounds. The only drawbacks are the slow Wifi, at least in our room, the uncomfortable (but not so difficult to sleep on) beds, and the lack of blinds on the windows. Would recommend the visit. And despite the discomforts, I would too recommend staying the night in such a historic and remarkable building.

Discovered this via Airbnb. Value was great, location convenient, room was exceptionally clean, amenities easily available for guests to take (towels, toiletries, extra bedding), complimentary coffee/tea, ample free parking, multiple USB ports, great water pressure. Only downside, quite noisy since it’s an old building. Windows were loud and rooms could use room darkening curtains. Would visit again.

If you visit… Inquire about Mrs. Torres… She’s a great volunteer…

Darling and well done festival of Shaker life this last Saturday. The kids enjoyed all the old-timey activities and I really enjoyed the fiber arts tent especially! I really learned a lot from the friendly and knowledgeable volunteers. There was mask making, weaving, vine crown making, candle making, broom making, apple cider making, wagon rides, dinkeys & goats to pet, a sheepdog seminar, too. I'm not even listing it all! Amazing work by the volunteers truly.

We learned a lot on the tour of the main building. The guide was very knowledgeable and could answer any questions we put to her. She was clearly very experienced. We toured the main building with her and then were let loose to explore the rest of the grounds ourselves. It would have been nice if the open buildings were marked on the map. We did meet up with a gentleman who was constructing brooms as the Shakers had, it was very educational.
Both my husband and I enjoyed the tour. The only place we did not spend enough time in was the gift shop, but we live close enough that we will be back for that.

The Quechee Gorge is a scenic forested canyon located less than a mile east of Quechee Village. It stretches about 3000ft along a stream and drops down 163ft, offering visitors the opportunity to view it from a bridge or through well-marked footpaths that lead down into the gorge. The hiking trails are undemanding and should take no longer than an hour to complete.
This is an amazing sight to behold any time of the year. But if you go during the leaf peeping season you will find it difficult to maintain personal space. With that said it's still worth going to see. Parking is abundant but you will have to walk to get a good view. If you take the trail to the lower end of the gorge, it will consume about an hour of time and it's all up hill on the way back. So people with bad knees or problems walking long distance should probably experience the gorge from the bridge. The upper end can be driven to and a short walk to the dam. There are some bathrooms but things these days are weird and I can't understand why a bathroom would be closed but they are. Paved and gravel parking with plenty of handicapped access.
Lee Kosiewski — Google review
A beautiful sight when you see it from the bridge but it gets better once you see from beneath! There is a trail leading to bottom of the gorge through the woods (a 10-15 min walk) and the views from there was amazing.
We went there during the summer but believe it would have been even better during fall with the foliage.
There is a visitor center too and the hike to the gorge from the road was lovely too.

Beautiful views from the gorge. Back in 2017 they didn't have the green protection railing and that made the experience even more wonderful. There is a trail which we didn't take but apparently it's even more beautiful from the top of the gorge.

Nice trail. A lot of shade and beauty to seat for a while and enjoy the sound and smell of nature. The melody of the water running down and the essence of the pine trees is a great experience. It is a short walk but a lite challenging on the way back up if you are out of shape. Still, very much worthy!

There is a spot on the bridge to look out and take pictures. However, I'd highly recommend doing the walking paths if you get the chance. They aren't too bad of hike and provide some beautiful views of the dam and gorge.

Quechee Gorge is high. The fences have gotten higher and more view obtrusive than I remember from years gone by. My Grandfather used to bring my mom, Aunts and Uncles down to the water so they could enjoy the summer with a cool dip. He used to like to fish too. When You come here, there is parking down a way from the bridge, but be careful, just because there is a speed limit doesn't mean the locals follow it. Don't drop Your phone taking pictures, even if You climb down to get it dosen't mean it will be there due to the water, and the fall will probably bust it - just don't drop Your phone or camera in the gorge!

Excellent natural wonder in Quechee, Vermont. If you park at the visitor center- walk back out to the highway and get a view from the bridge. There’s no sidewalk on the visitor center side so be careful.
Next, head down into the gorge, there’s a short trail through the woods from the visitors center, and then it’s downhill for 15-20 minutes until you reach the end where you can walk out into the gorge and look back towards the bridge. The view on the way down is mostly obscured behind the fence and dense tree growth otherwise.
On the other side of the road from the visitor center, there’s another trail following the river back to the dam. Good views of the dam but, again most of the river is obscured and behind a fence.

There's a bridge form where you can take beautiful pictures of the gorge. Even though there's a green fence that stands rather out (but it's there for protection and to avoid people from jumping off the bridge, I suppose), you can still take nice photos through the holes and there are cutouts made for that. Also, the gift shop nearby has also some nice items and it's not expensive.

Small little hike down to the gorge. May be difficult for some to get to the water and the hike back is all uphill. The water is super refreshing but some maneuvering across rocks is required. Make sure to already have your swimming gear on if you plan to get in the water because there is no place to change.

Ok so the hiking trails are actually really nice. There are supposedly 20 miles of trails. I did the junior ranger trail (short hike). I was able to go into the visitors center with a mask, but not the mansion. You *can* sit on the porch and soak in the nice views. Be aware that the farm across the street is technically not part of the park and there is an entrance fee.

We visited the historical mansion associated with the park. It was absolutely worth it! Kelly was our guide, and she was honestly the best tour guide I've had. She had so many stories about the home that were fascinating and you could tell how passionate she was about the conservation of home and surrounding areas. She really had us thinking by the end of the tour! She also gave us a heads up about the fern garden located in the back of the property. Well worth the small hike. It was beautiful and felt like you were in Jurassic Park.

Went for a hike up the mountain road up to the summer pasture. Plenty of traffic on a weekday afternoon but it was still very peaceful and everyone we encountered was friendly and respectful. Fabulous! Did a 3 mile walk up & around the pond & back appreciating the beautiful grounds. We also toured the mansion. We were cautioned not to ask too many questions as the tour couldn't cover everything, but still, it started out on the porch with a 20 minute lecture on conservation. We would have preferred 5 minutes of that & 55 minutes with more info on the 3 families who lived there & the home's progressive improvements

We found the farm a bit boring, to be honest. Not a lot of animals (we imagined a lot more sheep, goats and horses, for example). Half of the sunflowers also seemed to be rotten?

They are eager to answer any questions you may have.

Absolutely worth the visit. If you appreciate history and animals you have to check it out. For those that whined about there not being enough animals, this is not a petting zoo. It is a working farm, each animal has a purpose. You can get up close to the cows when they bring them in from pasture to milk them. Also, to the person whining about sunflowers being rotten... this is nature... you must live in a box. Not every flower will be perfect, especially at the end of the season. Regardless, the property is still beautiful and well maintained. It is certainly worth the walk across the street as well.

This farm is always a lot of fun to come to, I've been here twice. There's a lot to do here -- you can easily spend several hours. The highlight for me is always the animals, the museum, and the historical farm manager's house. For the time period they were living in, and even now, the house is incredibly luxurious. They had hot and cold running water and a flushing toilet. No farm manager in VT has that at the time, and these amenities were mostly for the ultra rich, like the Newport Mansions.
The animals are all incredibly well taken care of and always look healthy. They're also absolutely beautiful. I am particularly fond of the draft horses and the Jersey cows. They're not from New Jersey, but rather the Isle of Jersey. Their milk is very rich in milk fat and is excellent for creating butter. If you're able to go for their butter churning demonstration, do go! You get to try some of the butter and the buttermilk (if you so choose) at the end. Both products were delicious.
In the museum there is a rotating exhibit. Once it was quilts, currently (September 2023) it is female farmers in Vermont. The photos are taken by a gay Puerto Rican, which I thought was a nice extra dose of representation.
In the non-rotational area, you get to walk through farming history and how it developed for everything from planting corn to cutting ice. There's also a cute little scavenger hunt for stuffed cows hidden in the exhibits and a short movie on how ice was cut in Maine in the 1940s. Near the entrance there is also a film but I haven't seen that yet.
Lastly, they have a food truck and an ice cream stand near the renovated ice house.
I highly recommend checking out this farm!

Great place to spend the afternoon. Awesome watching them heard in the cows in for food then watch them being milked. Great experience. Great grounds. Had their maple cream sundae with maple sugar sprinkles. Delicious.
Rural farm producing cheese varieties & maple syrups, with walks to view the tree-tapping process.
The Best place to Go to for Fresh Cheese & Maple Syrup. Everyone is so friendly. You are able to sample the cheese & the syrup. A place that makes you feel at home. We try to make it a goal to go every year, especially during Fall time. The scenery is Beautiful & even more beautiful when the leaves are changing colors. The animals look well taken care of & are also friendly. Self tour is available.

Such a lovely place. We loved the trail they have. It’s very informational and you see so many beautiful maple trees and even a small white chapel. The tasting room was great. Loved reading and learning about the process of sugar making. Also, everything is dog friendly aside from the tasting room. :) our dogs enjoyed it. Lots of great views as well since you’re surrounded by nature.

This was such a wonderful farm! Family owned and operated, we started at the farmhouse where the family gave us samples of several cheeses they make on site - pepperJack being our favorite - as well as the maple syrups and maple butter. Delicious! After shopping for items for a choose board we had planned for dinner, we went to the syrup barn and watched a video detailing the farm history and syrup making processes. We also went on a short loop hike up into the forest to see the maple trees as well as the farms church. A must-see for your visit to Woodstock!

Family owned and operated. A definite DO when your in Vermont!!! Can't wait to re-visit. They have a sampling room with delightful treats. Literally the best maple butter I've ever tasted! Highly recommend!

Cute cheese and maple factory! They have free cheese and maple tastings and the shop is brilliant, so many things to get! The aged cheddar was to die for and the actual grounds were really cool to walk around. There were some cows and goats too which were cute

We enjoyed our tour of the farm. There were only two goats to see at the time we went but the atmosphere itself was great. We tried different cheese and bought maple syrup that we loved!! Might go back there when we run out of our syrup🥳. Also the staff is extremely sweet. Don't take strollers with you, as the grounds are pretty uneven.

Highly recommend; educational for children. We were able to see how trees are tapped and drained for maple syrup; cheese sampling with different varieties which were all delicious. Cheeses and syrups available for sale.

Incredibly friendly staff, really get the family vibe.
Maple syrup and cheese tastings were great. Brought plenty home to the UK!
Few little informative walks, well worth doing.
A bit of a trek up some mountain roads but all adds to the fun .
Couldn't recommend highly enough

Had a really nice time here. From Canada, so felt right at home. Maple syrup and cheese tastings, a very small trail, and a nice shop where you can buy all of their goods! Probably not an all day activity, but it made for a lovely morning!!!

If you like great Vermont cheeses, sourced maple syrup, and pictures of free roaming cows then this is the place for you. Friendly staff and apparently very crowded when you pass through the main shop due to the zealous desire of everyone to buy their great products made on the site. Don't let the crowd statement deter you. Glad we went to Sugarbush. Very memorable tour and visit. Pet friendly as well. Self tour of the maple lines was cool and Definitely do not mess with the lines. My pic was pretend and not for ideas on how to get "free samples."

Family run farm making and selling make syrup and various cheeses. Immediately upon entering you are given the opportunity to taste a few cheeses and different maple syrups. All items are available in the surface gift shop along with numerous other food and gift items. You can also take a walk along the maple trees and read about the process for making the syrup from the tapping of the trees to the final product. Everyone friendly and the syrup and the cheese were delicious. A bit of trek to get to but worth it!

Beautiful old farm far removed from busy roads. The views from the cow pasture are so pretty. You can start a self-guided tour as soon as you park. The walking path takes you through the trees showing you how the tubing is run to make their maple syrup. After that, head on into the tasting kitchen of the main house. There, you'll be given a small talk about the cheese process and then you'll get some samples of both their cheese and the maple syrup. Our favorite was the extra, extra sharp! You can take another self-guided tour through their cheese process and that includes a 10 minute video. There's a nice store off of the tasting room where you can buy all sorts of food items, tshirts and sweatshirts, and other gift items. Make sure you buy the cheese, syrup AND the maple butter. 🍁

This place was amazing and worth the trip out of the way.
The staff were so friendly and gave us a great rundown of the cheeses and syrups. The animals they have there seemed to be happy and well taken care of. . . And the goats also enjoyed some butt scratches, haha.
They have a trail to see the syrup being collected, but there was too much snow for me to go when I went there. I'll be back again for sure.

Very interesting place!!! The staff was great in sampling of cheese and syrup. They also explained the history and operations of the farm. We bought cheese and maple syrup. The drive in was a little long but well worth the drive. It’s a very busy place so be prepared
David Cochran — Google review
This place is amazing. Everyone who works here is eager to show you around, answer your questions, and give you various samples of cheeses and maple syrups to sample.
You truly are made to feel welcomed. Even the lady running the gift shop made it a point to tell each customer the best way to transport their cheese home based on if they were driving (how far) or flying (must pack your syrup in with your luggage).
You get to watch as the cheese is being packaged and readied for sale or shipping. And, the farm itself is a self guided tour with lots of interperative signs.
There is plenty of parking available, but I would not recommend driving a large camper of any kind in here. The roads are narrow, and the hills are steep. You have been warned.
But, for those traveling in something other than a large camper, Google Maps will get you here with no trouble. But, once you are within 3 or 4 miles of this place, you will start seeing signs to guide you on in.

100% WORTH THE DRIVE AND VISIT.
Let me say it again
ITS WORTH IT GO.
their marketing is so expertise, they definitely got me to buy something from their free samples and im not mad about it. the free samples are DIVINE - the cheese, oh my goodness out of this world. You get to try 4 different cheeses that are all amazing.
2 different maple syrups that had my jaw on the floor with how good it is - I’ve had FAKE syrup for way to long and my eyes are opened. I bought a WHOLE jug and it’s worth the money. And lastly, their delicious maple butter is amazing.
Loved seeing the cute animals, learning about the process of making maple syrup, and reading the history of the the farm. You can stay as long or as little as you like, but definitely go! Buy their maple syrup!!!

I always wondered how do they took the maple syrup from the trees… and now I know!!! It was a fantastic experience, very educational!! We had to try all the cheese and the syrup they do, we also bought a lot of things ahaha! Please check this farm out! Is a must do!

Lovely family owned and run cheese and Maple syrup farm. It's such a homey and cozy feel. Plus, they're supporting loads of family owned businesses in the area as well. Definitely give them a visit!
Well-known flour brick-&-mortar outpost featuring a bakery & a cafe, plus an adjacent retail store.
What an amazing place! The food from the Cafe was awesome, and the store has tine of options for baking ingredients and supplies. I took a baking class with them as well. Everything was so well organized and clear, it was very easy to participate even knowing very little about baking! They even did all the dishes for us! It was a great time, I will definetly go back!! I would gladly take another class with them. It is well worth the cost! Although it is more fun to take the classes in pairs or groups of four. Even numbers are better.

This place was amazing. Even if you’re not a baker, it was so interesting to see the chefs baking, the class in progress, the vastness of the store, and especially to eat at the café. We bought a couple of croissants and beverages at the café, and they were outstanding. But my favorite was a package of raspberry crumble bars that tempted me while standing in line to order my café food. I took those with me and had them in the morning with coffee. I was so sad when a couple of days later they ran out.

Delicious gluten free cookies albeit $15 for 6 cookies.
Wonderful bakery with amazing treats and food. These might be the most delicious baked goods on earth. Gluten free almond cloud cookies have lemon zest, a slightly crunchy outside and light heavenly almond paste inside .. absolutely phenomenal and gluten free! Their homemade marshmallows are delicious and also gluten free.
There is a wide assortment of high quality baking supplies and or course King Arthur ingredients and box kits ... Including gluten free brownie mix and cornbread mix amongst other mixes ...
Nice bathrooms .. but every stall was out of toilet paper so 1-star off service. The lines were insanely long.
Really beautiful atmosphere, excellent place to stop on a trip or to meet friends.

I had no idea how much I would be overwhelmed with excitement when we visited, but this was an amazing place! The cafe is adorable with delicious offerings, the shop is amazing with all the variety King Arthur has to offer- every baking thing Ive ever thought of thats for sure! And I am already looking forward to going back and taking a class. On warmer days theres an outdoor pizza oven and open space for kids to run around in addition to the indoor cafe- looking forward to a repeat visit

Visited on a Saturday around noon. Place was busy but not packed with busses of tourists as can happen. Just a heads up if you are unsure of what to expect. This is not an IKEA sized facility or a Disneyesque baking experience. It is a modest sized store with all of the KA brand merch plus a cafe. There is also a kitchen baking bread you can view from a window. Place is exceptionally well maintained , clean and they have systems and procedures to be able to handle large volumes of people efficiently.

If you enjoy baking, you like high quality ingredients and you're a little bit daring or creative you will love this place. Lots of baking ingredients, utensils and baked goods are abound; You can even take some classes. Before you go, you may want to pay down your credit card down, transfer money from savings, take out a loan or work some over time because baking does not come cheap. Live it up, you only live once!

Kitchen supply store, bakery, and school in one large building. We came late afternoon on a Sunday after the bakery was closed. There was a large class in session practicing the making of macaroons. We spent our time in the large kitchen store which features everything you would ever need to bake. The baker in your family will love this place.

For a baking lover, this place is a must! King Arthur flour is in grocery stores across the US and I had no idea it was from Vermont! This location offers an awesome cafe with freshly made bread and pastries; I picked up a chocolate chip cookie, a pack of sea salt brownies, hamburger buns, a biscuit, and a slice of carrot cake. They also have a huge store for all of your baking needs, including all kinds of flour mixes (gluten free and keto as well) for scones, muffins, brownies etc and other products you won’t find in your everyday store.
Christina Kung — Google review
Unfortunately this place was a huge let down. Being avid bakers we expected the pastries to be fresh and warm, they are neither. Food was airport quality at best. The staff clearly hears this feedback often because they were professional and in agreement with our complaints. Really disappointed.

Visiting the baking company was a cool experience! An incredibly inviting and unique building and space. It was fun to explore the store (that has everything you could possibly need for baking) and eat a nice lunch. I was a little surprised by the high cookie prices in a bakery, but I guess, things are extra expensive in Vermont!

A baker's dream. The classes are so expensive but even without a class, the trip is worth it. There's a million things you would have never thought of in the store, a great selection of bread and packaged pastries to buy, and the cafe has some of the wildest bread designs you've ever seen. They recommended (free) roasted garlic mayo with our sandwich and it was heavenly.
Su Park — Google review
This is my happy place. I've been to two baking classes here and have loved both. The classrooms are bright and airy, the instructors are thorough and engaging, and the results are delicious.
Pro tip: order ahead at the cafe before you arrive. Plan for about 40–45 minutes to wait in line otherwise. If you place the order when you get there, peruse the store while it's being prepped, then pick it up and grab a seat!
The store has all sorts of hard-to-find ingredients and tools for the home baker. I'd love to go in there with an unlimited budget and tons of storage room at home.
Highly recommend.

I always use King Arthur flour when I bake cookies, so stopping here was a must when we decided to visit VT.
We popped in for a quick cup of coffee and to pick up some souvenirs, and now I'm wishing we had skipped breakfast prior to our visit. Everything looked delicious and the aromas wafting through the air were incredible. The gift shop is absolutely FULL of anything you could think of for the baker in your life.
If we ever move to the area, I'm hoping we land close to King Arthur. I'd love to take some of their baking classes.

We got two amazing sandwiches for lunch—roast beef on 5-seeded focaccia and marinated artichoke hearts, roasted peppers, and feta on a baguette. The desserts looked so delicious. I was inspired by the store, but everything is so expensive. The quality is exceptional, though. I wish I had disposable income. I would have bought one of everything.

Fresh baked goodies and prepackaged baking mixes. A must visit! Shown is the pistachio sea salt chocolate chip cookie, almond cloud cookie, sea salt brownie and roast beef on focaccia bread. Also picked up a gluten free scone mix for the holidays! Everything was fresh, chewy and delicious!

We walked in from the cafe entrance and right away it felt like a magical place. We drove 4 hours to get there but it was well worth it. They had everything you could ever need for a kitchen. Even a vast array of appliances plus whatever you would need for baking anything you desire. They had an extensive collection of pans for everyone in your family from tiny bread loaf pans to giant pie pans. We missed getting there in time for the cafe but we did bring some of the bread that they created. It is a store you can spend a good couple hours in if you had the time. My hubby loved the store so much he ended up taking home 4 bag fulls of and $300 worth of yummy stuff to make at home.
The Killington Grand Resort Hotel is a laid-back retreat featuring a health club, pool, and spa. The hotel offers a free shuttle to Killington Road for easy access to local attractions. While the on-site restaurant, Prestons, has stylish decor and an eclectic menu, it falls short in terms of food quality and service. However, the resort's convenient location at the heart of Killington makes it an ideal choice for visitors looking to enjoy the area's offerings.
Great Resort / Hotel. Awesome heated pool and hot tubs and spa area with gym, sauna and steam room. Easy access to skiing with a quick walk across the pedestrian bridge to the Snowshed base area. Our only complaint was that the Murphy bed in our studio suite was not very comfortable. Otherwise great experience and we came at the perfect time - lots of snow but not terribly cold and almost the entire mountain / trails were open. Well groomed. The skiing was excellent.

Stayed in a two bedroom suite that was supposed to sleep 8 with "two queen size beds" in one of the rooms. The room itself was smaller than two queen beds and it had twin mattresses. It's a good thing there weren't 8 of us trying to stay here. As far as the rest of the hotel the amenities are fine. Nothing special. The food offerings are adequate. For the money I spent I would have expected things to be absolutely top notch and I can't say that this place delivers on the promise. But I got a clean room and it was quiet when I needed to sleep.

Ski in and out (kind of - you have to walk over the bridge). Definitely the place to stay when in Killington. The proximity to Snowshed and to the lifts make it very convenient. We stayed at a studio with a Murphy bed. The only complaint I have is the smell in the room. A combination of disinfectant and humidity. Having said that it is still the place to stay. You can enter the hot swimming pool right from the spa. Then you can jump in one of the two hot tubs next to the swimming pool. Sitting in the hot tub and watching the mountains behind a curtain of steam is what you need after a taxing day of hardcore skiing. Oh if you forget your bathing suit, not to worry. The spa has some for you to buy. The staff is friendly and very helpful.
Nilufer Usta — Google review
The room was a large and clean, for the price it was a good deal. That being said the real selling point to me was the heated pool and the distance to the chairlift. It was a 200 yard walk to the chairlift, you cannot get any closer to the mountain, it was amazing. The ski gear storage room was awesome too. They also have a shuttle service that takes you into town for dinner and whatnot. I did not have to use my car for four days, it was great.

There are no frills; you are paying for the location and the convenience of not having to do the parking lot rodeo in the morning.
The mountain side hot tub and pool were nice after a long day on the hill. The restaurant downstairs was nice, but costly.
The staff were pleasant and welcoming.

5 star pricing at a 3 star resort. Booked a 3 bedroom suite. Paid over $650 a night. AC did not work after calling for days. Heater stuck on they could not shut off. Room was 84 degrees. Restaurant has one waiter and hostess refuses to help and take orders. A quick meal will be a minimum of 1.5 hours. Restaurant closes at 9 for “some people”. Front desk has one person even though the hotel was full. The most common thing I heard was “that’s not my job”. Hotel needs to invest in infrastructure and employees with trained in the hospitality industry.

I don’t have too high expectations even from high end hotels, all I expect is to not have to worry about my belongings while leaving the hotel room! Unfortunately, the house keeping department made me feel the exact opposite after my babies stuff went missing from our suitcase. The house keeping supervisor was not only rude but wanted me to keep quiet and ask for a compensation, which I don’t care about. The rest of the staff (front desk, spa/pool team) was amazing but one bad experience ruins everything!
Akriti Jain — Google review
Let me share the positives, awesome hot tub and heated pool, great location. But TWO very important NEGATIVES, a multilevel suite has 23 steps down to the bedrooms, not the normal 13. And the steps are steep! If you have grandma and grandpa with you, or even if you’re older skiers, that is not something you want to do at the end of the day. No where in my 2 bedroom reservation did it say I had a multilevel condo. Clinton was willing to change our rooms and offered a partial refund. We chose two studios, each with a Murphy bed. Another couple traveling with us paid $1500 for their studio with Murphy bed. We each paid $1800 for the same accommodations. The refund was not sufficient! How can the hotel justify such a difference in charges for the same type of room? For many years we have enjoyed a week of skiing at Killington. WE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO THE KILLINGTON GRAND.

This is a great hotel located on the mountain. And in the off season it has so much to offer. Mountain biking down the hill, zip lines, roller coaster, heated outdoor pool and much more. Plus they have a very nice restaurant there ... Preston's. The steak was crazy great ... burger was good, pork was great, the mango Habanero wings are not that flavorful but Burrata appetizer was great. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

My family and I have been here three times now. We only stumbled upon this because we had a nightmare air bnb situation where we showed up and it was cancelled without us knowing so we walked over to grand lodge and the rest is is history. Clinton, the gentleman at the front desk was the best hotel staff member we have ever encountered. We had a 3 month old baby and had never traveled and he made sure to get us an affordable room and made us feel like we were part of his family. We have come back and he has has helped us every time (Karen is great as well and super nice!). I would recommend the grand lodge to anyone, the rooms are clean and roomy, the amenities are convenient and the things to do are endless. Love this place!

The location is beautiful. Our stay would have been much more enjoyable if it wasn't for the Spartan race so word to the wise, check the events before booking. The Spartan race participants were absolutely obnoxious, stomping around at 4 am, running up and down hallways at 10pm, having conversations loudly in the hallways at 7am, slamming doors. Basically the majority of them acted like they were the only ones that existed. They took over the pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna and that was just gross to think about as many of them clearly skipped a shower first. We avoided using the amenities because of this, sad when you pay so much and can't enjoy it. The staff was just as miserable and hoping that is not their norm and it was only due to these Spartan participants. The gentleman outside of the gym was the most miserable of all. Not a great look the price people pay to stay here. The rooms are okay, the beds are really stiff and springy if that makes sense. Room was clean though so that's a plus. We didn't bother trying the restaurant, but heard a few people saying it was good. Overall, we would definitely come again but would check events first to save our sanity.

Super overpriced for the quality of rooms and service. Crappy heating/cooling systems that are old and loud. Very thin walls, you can hear it all from rooms next to and above. Overall furnishings are very worn. If it wasn't so close to the lifts, nobody would stay there for the price. Unfortunately not worth the money, even with the convenience.

Room smelled, an unpleasant odor. Fully functional kitchen is a plus and can't beat the location. Ski right out the door and jump on a lift. Quite pricey, and no breakfast included. Outdoor pool is super nice and fun for kids after a day on the slopes

The hotel itself was quite nice as were members of the staff. However, the walls sound like they are paper thin and you can hear everybody in the rooms nearby. Also, this must have been one of the most uncomfortable beds I've slept on in any hotel. For such an upscale establishment, one would think the accommodations would be of a bit higher quality. All in all, a middle of the road experience for me.
Nic Phillips — Google review
Great place to stay for skiing. The hotel has a ski check in/out and its a 5 minute walk to a lift. Also have a hot tub, sauna, steamroom for recovery after a day of skiing. The customer service is awesome by the front desk. We had a room with a queen bed for 2 me and my son and we asked for a cot or a sofa bed and they moved us to a different room with a fold out chair bed at the same rate. I was also able to add on an extra day of skiing after a rain out on day 1. The staff was also helpful in other ways (coffee, bandaids).
My second time staying here and I would highly recommend it.
Very pretty views. Great easy hike if you are with small children. Lots of birds even in the winter. It is very well marked so you will find the waterfall very easily. Different trails to choose from. I will definitely come back.

Beautiful short trail over marshland with a slight incline up to falls, about half a mile each way.
Falls are beautiful and the plant life and surroundings change and have a lot to offer with each season.
* TIP: While family and dog friendly, the trail had a lot of ice on it. It was difficult for some to balance and walk on at points. I would highly suggest making sure to have your rugged boots on when icy and/or adding attachable ice cleat / snow grips.

Extremely short walk. Limited parking but street parking is an option. Beautiful photo options for foliage. Walkway has a significant amount of decking for the walk and leads to a waterfall that attracts lots of amateur photography. Recommend if you have limited time and want a quick photo opportunity.

An easy walk to the base of the falls. We hiked a little up the side of the falls and it was well worth the small amount of effort there were two more distinct falls and a big rock on the edge of the falls we could sit on without getting wet.

This idyllic spot is nestled in the Green mountain forest. The boardwalk through the marshland makes the falls accessible for people of all ages; can even bring a stroller. Its a very short walk but it's packed with birdsong and wildflowers. The casacading falls are gorgeous, even when there has been minimal rainfall. A section of the Appalachian trail also goes through this area. The only thing missing is a place to sit down and have a bite to eat, because you'll want to spend more time:)

You can easily walk right up to the falls. Park in the gravel parking area at the road, walk along a boardwalk most of the way, and then a gravel walkway to a viewing platform. There were other hiking trails around, but we didn't walk them. There is a sign at the road with more information on the trails.

Historic marble processing facility with exhibits on the art & history of the stone, open in summer.
I was so surprised how big the museum was. We spent an hour looking at the history and sculptures... just amazing. We were a group of 34 that we pre arranged our visit and Vikki the Director and her team were wonderfully accommodating. The gift shop was great, I bought the cutest marble earrings and bracelet. The movie theater was really nice.. Hall of Presidents was amazing as well. Highly recommend.
Tip.. very chilly inside- bring layers!!

This place was a neat little stop to hear and see a bit of history. Good for the older crowd for sure. Favorite parts were the Tomb of the Unknown Solider display and the hall of presidents, although it's missing several.
I would recommend they speed the video up a little bit, it takes to long to cycle through pictures and almost puts you to sleep.

Stone is mother nature's buitafull work, and they have plenty of examples. Took in the establishment a few decades ago when it was still cutting stone and you could watch from a birdsnest vew. Now it is mainly a Museum and gift shop.
Must see, check captions on the photos. In fact the entire town proper looks like it is all made of marble.
Proctor is a nice quiet place, up the hill is another Church. And across town used to be an art school, maybe it's still there, IDK. Next to the Museum is a current Stone Cutter, Mr. Johnson can usually do anything you want or need. If he could not provide the product needed, he'll know who can.
Mr. P. Says take in the area and you could be amazed on what's left.

Was on a bit of a unplanned road trip through some areas of New England and I’m really glad I stopped here for my souvenir and gift shopping. I don’t remember her name but the lady at the store was extremely pleasant and even offered to tell me about some of the items and products in the area itself. I really appreciated the time she took to make sure that I felt knowledgeable and she was not in anyway urging me to buy anything I wasn’t interested in. Would absolutely recommend here for anyone traveling to Vermont, you won’t regret it.

We had the absolute BEST time touring the museum and learning about the maple industry from its introduction by Natives through modern day. The gift shoppe was FANTASTIC - I spent way too much money but the items were unique, tasty and something I can't get at home. I hope we will come back for a visit at a later date, it was so welcoming and so informative :)

Inexpensive trip to syrup museum was educational and fun! Had boards/ buttons to press to teach about all the exhibits. Gift shop was reasonable for the type of merchandise being sold. Even got to taste test three types of local syrup! 100% recommend!

A fun way to kill some time and learn about the history of maple syrup production! A self-guided tour featuring actual historical equipment, diagrams, and audio/video recordings. At the end, you get a free syrup sampling. Plenty of great maple products in the gift shop, and the staff is very friendly.

Great museum with tons of cool items. Would suggest either more fans or an a/c unit. Lots to read and see and takes awhile to get through it all. Fantastic gift shop as well

Had a great time browsing the shop and sampling maple. I did not sleep the night before (coming from Virginia) and my toddler son and I were driving and found this shop exactly when it opened for the day. The museum was very educational and decorative. Laura was so friendly to us. She got my son a water after he tried the syrup and even helped clean when he expectantly dropped some on the floor. Wish I could have been in better spirits and not exhausted

Nice small shop with a museum and a short video how farmer collected and made maple syrup. And there are many kinds of maple syrup products can be bought. It was an enjoyable place to visit.
Spacious general store with items ranging from clothing & outdoor gear to home goods & furnishings.
Wonderful resource, amazing assortment, huge store that spans several buildings. Delicious donuts too! Well worth your time.

I had the most pleasant experience shopping here. I’d disregard any negative review below and see for yourself what wonderful staff and quality products they sell. I came at the end of August to purchase some fall boots and slippers and have been incredibly happy with my purchase. This beats shopping on Amazon. It’s always nice to know there are friendly and knowledgeable staff there to help and make life a little bit easier. Looking forward to coming in soon to find my new winter jacket!

Awesome place. Tons of gear, super friendly people. The gentleman in the shoe department who helped me knew the fit characteristics of each shoe and helped me pick out two pairs for different uses. He was very friendly and had a sense of humor, which is a plus in my book. I wish we didn't live four hours away!

Farmway has everything that you need. They have food, clothing, footwear, tack and animal supplies. They have everything you could ever want for camping, hunting, fishing or anything else that you can think of to do outside. The staff is knowledgeable and extremely friendly, they are always a bit busy, but somehow they make you feel like you are the only customer in the store. Overall great place to shop. The only reason I'm giving them five stars is that there is not an option to give them ten.

I have been shopping here for many many years and always look forward to looking around. I have bought all my work boots and sneakers at farm way. I have a pair of winter work boots I have had for over 30 years. All name brands are represented here. All the sales staff are knowledgeable with the product. Recommend stopping in when your in Bradford.

Great company. I bought a North Face vest from their website. Brand new, as advertised, and quick shipping. Unfortunately, the zipper gets stuck at the bottom. They didn't have another one in stock, so they quickly sent me a return label for the vest. I would definitely purchase from them again. Wonderful customer service.

I had never been to the store before. I was really impressed. I was told about a special type of shoe they had with a fold out ice cleat on the heel. They had about 15 different styles and several colors to choose from. I bought a pair for my wife and a couple pair of Darn Tough socks. Huge assortment available. Huge store!!! Best assortment of clothing, boots, sporting apparel I have seen anywhere.. Truly impressed with the variety and quality personnel.I can't wait to go back earlier in the day!

Found this awesome store that carried Northface products and happened to have the jacket I was looking for at a very competitive, lower price than I have paid for this jacket in the past. It was delivered so fast that it was at my door before I got the notification that it shipped. Very happy with my purchase and have bookmarked the store in my phone for future purchases.
Beautiful waterfall that can be seen right at the trail head. The 1 1/2 mile trail is easy in spots and more difficult in others. Slippery when wet. There is some elevation. The trail is definitely worth doing.

Gorgeous 😍
Easy and accurate GPS/Google Maps directions and big enough parking lot with 0 walk needed to see the falls. If you want to explore and better enjoy nature and this marvelous place, there are easy trails when you go through the bridge and I advise you to go both sides (left to be closer to the falls and right to go to a lower viewpoin, also magnificent!).
There's also a toilet there, though with no flush and no place to wash your hands (we had wipes with us and it's better to bring some).
Highly recommended!

Tucked away off route 125 in Vermont just west of Hancock are the Texas Falls. Cascading out of the Green Mountains, the Hancock branch cuts its way forming a narrow gorge with many waterfalls. A beautiful place to stop on a warm summer day in Vermont.
James Knick (Jay) — Google review
Worth the detour off Route 100 to check it out.
We went on a rainy Sunday afternoon in September and there were about a dozen others roaming around as well. We didn't do any hiking (this time); just explored around the falls and we all enjoyed it.
There IS a bathroom across the road/ near the parking, but it was rather gross at the time (always?). The parking seemed sufficient for the amount of visitors that day.
Audrey Jeremy Thompson — Google review
fantastic viewing areas. bridge that goes over the gorge makes the view of the falls accessible to just about everyone. parking is plentiful and the picnic areas are a little further up the road with a shelter and cooking areas

Texas Falls is a picturesque spot, especially enchanting after a fresh snowfall, making it an ideal destination for a short hike.
Tyler Benjamin — Google review
I absolutely love it here, every time I go. The falls are gorgeous, the stream is wide, the glacial water dug-outs on the huge boulders are incredible to see, and the hiking trails are nice and easy. Longest trail is only about a mile and fairly flat, so wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a challenging hike. Also worth noting the hikes take you away from the water. It's lovely, though! Would definitely recommend. The viewing spots are great for pictures. Be prepared for a crowd on a hot day.
Willa C.E. — Google review
Beautiful, short and easy hike with wonderful views of small feeder brooks that lead into the main falls. Well kept trail with bridges over mucky parts and the blazes on the trees are clearly marked. Many pull offs along the road past the main trail for lunches and a few options for primitive camping that are right along the water. The falls are spectacular and powerful to stand beside.
Spruce Peak — Google review
A special spot in the Green Mountains. Well maintained overlook and viewing platforms. Easily accessible from both Rt. 7 and Rt. 100. Crystal clear waters, steady flow, not too many crowds. I'm curious as to why it's called Texas Falls, if anyone knows the story please tell! Regardless, i recommend this cascading waterfall to all passing through...and even those that aren't, well worth the trip. Some of the viewing platforms are handicap accessible. A quaint romantic spot or a nice place to picnic with the whole family. A Vermont gem!

Peaceful, picnic area with message board filled with information about creating the Wayside and Frost's visits to Vermont.
Best part is visiting the farm stead down the dirt road just east of the Wayside. Gorgeous pasture with mountain views. The road looks like a road for power lines but leads up to the farmhouse. ( Building closed to public but land is beautifuly maintained. )

It's a perfectly nice place but there's nothing here except a highway pull off and a State historical marker. No toilet, no trash and no picnic table even. A better bet might be the new Robert Frost interpretive trail just .2 miles to the west on VT 125.

I placed an order for my 21 year olds headstone on 12.27.22. I was advised in August of 2023 that it would be delivered and installed in October of 2023. It was not!! I tried calling & emailing Terri multiple times with no response. I finally had to contact my attorney. At that point he still never responded to me. He did, however, respond to my cemetery. On December 19, 2023, it was confirmed I definitely wasn't getting his headstone for Christmas or New Year's. On that date I stated I wanted to cancel and sever ties with this whole ordeal. On that date I was assured they could have it installed before his birthday. His birthday was yesterday 2/6/24 and still no headstone.
I would not recommend this company at all. They lack compassion, empathy and follow through!!!

Wow wow wow. Breathtaking and peaceful, definitely worth a stop at this place! We just enjoyed walking through here, would also say it’s a good idea to Google or look up the history of the place while you walk to learn about the people and why it’s significant.

Hard to give 5 stars for a cemetery. This one is unique though. A number the monuments are art. Whether one of a kind forms and parting messages or sculptures, one over 100 years old, yet still exquisite craftsmanship. If you're interested in history, art, or one of a kind testimonials of those who have passed into eternity, you need to visit.
Kevin J Shomper — Google review
What a hoot! I've never made a pit-stop at a cemetery before but this one is unique. Apparently in a town of stone carvers with their own granite quarry, there is some pretty neat artwork in here! I heard about this one on the Atlas Obscura podcast if you want to learn more.

Rachel H. — Google review
A really unique destination for anyone interested in local history and a little bit of world history as well.
The Hope cemetery features one of the few memorials to the 1918 pandemic (an event that has gained more currency in 2020). The memorial was unveiled in 1918, a few months before the pandemic hit Barre proper, resulting in hundreds of deaths.
Locally, all the headstones are made of granite--a requirement since 1945--and many were carved by Italian craftsman recruited to work at the local Barre granite quarry, who were able to create their own elaborate headstone.
Look for the Thomas headstone across from the memorial. Four children in this family died in the November 3-4 1927 flood, the most deadly in Vermont's history. Over 1,200 bridges were destroyed and 84 people died. To get an idea of how severe the floods were, see the high water mark in front of the state house in Montpelier (photo attached).

Our favorite maple farm in Vermont. All of the people were super friendly and learning about the maple syrup making process was great. They still do everything old school unlike other farms, which I find much more interesting. Their maple tasted the best for all of the levels of syrup. The creemee was amazing and we thought it was the best tasting of all the ones we tried. We got to meet the horse and goats who were very cute and sweet. It isn't the most famous maple farm, but it is the best.

Great find. They tell you all about sugaring and then you can watch a short video (maybe 10-15 minutes) in the room where they actually do the sugaring with the equipment! As it is summer time and not the right season we didn't actually get to see how they do it. After the video there is a tasting which was delicious and fun. If you like the taste if maple, definitely go for the maple creamee(soft serve ice cream). There are other fun things to buy - great shop to browse. Beautiful maple tree right outside
Stopped by and Glen gave us a fantastic tour. He was very knowledgeable and walked us through the entire process. He' a true expert when it comes to maple syrup. If you do one sugarhouse tour in VT, this is it. I wish they did tastings of their syrup, but I still highly recommend.

Not sure if they've confused the word tour with the word lecture, but that's what we got. You walk into a small room with the giant sap/syrup maker in the middle, with some artifacts strewn about the walls to a lady on a stool who awkwardly greets you and talks about everything it seems but the syrup making process unless we asked. There's no tour of the farm, trees, process, or the machine running to see how it's made. Regardless, I did ENJOY talking with her and we appreciated the obvious hard work that goes into all they do, its just don't call it a tour when it's not. At. All. We enjoyed the goodies for sale at the shop and loved buying several products to support them. A bus tour came in and we were promptly exited out to make room for them.

Ben & Jerry's is a famous ice cream chain originating from Vermont, recognized for its innovative and creatively named flavors. The founders, Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, took over a defunct gas station in Burlington in 1978 and began experimenting with unconventional flavors that completely transformed the way ice creams are made.
Tours closed due to Covid. We went late one evening (around 6pm) and the graveyard was closed (maybe due to the recent snow? Idk). The only thing left to do was buy and eat ice cream! The service was fantastic, they answered all my many questions about the different flavors. Then we ate our treats in the car as it was too cold and snowy to eat in the outdoor patio. Would love to return once it’s fully open again!

This was high on our list of to-dos in Vermont, but to be honest, I only think it's worth it if you're doing other stuff nearby (like visiting the town of Stowe or the Cold Hollow cider mill).
The shop is cute and has a lot of ice cream options, but you can still get that in downtown Burlington.
You'd come to the museum to learn more about ice cream and how it's made, but the factory tour is very very short, and you see machinery, but not really much of the process itself.
We also watched a 10min video about B&Js history, which is interesting, but I'd rather watch that on my own (without making the long trip there).
There is an additional thing to see here, which is an ice cream cemetery. 🪦 The idea is interesting and funny, they have a sign for some of their popular ice cream flavors that got discontinued.
All in all, if you're a big fan of B&J's, I'd say it's worth going to see. If you're just curious about ice cream making, I don't think it's worth going. We still got some cute and funny photos and tried some ice cream, so not a wasted trip.

It was an amazing place to visit the main store. Definitely a fun trip, especially on a hot summer day. I mean you might have to wait a bit on the line to get some ice cream but it’s totally worth it! The flavor options are just so mind blowing. The hardest part is choosing which flavor to get. It’s a fun trip if you have kids, they were especially enjoyed the playground area. The flavor graveyard was especially hilarious and shows you some lost flavors. It will definitely give you a chuckle.

Great experience! The factory tour was very informative though I wished the production part would always be included on the tour, but you’ll know ahead of time if you purchase tickets in advance.
We had a sample of 2 different ice cream flavors. The flavor lab is where the 30 minute tour ends with a taste of broccoli ice cream…just kidding! It was Marshmallow Sky for us!! There’s a gift shop where all fanatics can get their goodies. Don’t forget to visit the Flavor Graveyard and the playground for the kiddies. Enjoy!!

Visiting the Ben & Jerry's Factory in Vermont was an experience that went beyond my sweetest fantasies. The tour itself was a delightful journey through the heart of one of the most iconic ice cream brands in the world. Seeing the ice cream-making process up close was fascinating, offering a unique glimpse into the craft and care that goes into every scoop.
What made the tour even more special was the exclusive flavor available to those who embark on the factory adventure. The Maple Walnut, a flavor I had the pleasure of tasting, was simply out of this world. Its rich, creamy texture combined with the sweet, nutty flavors of maple and walnut captured the essence of Vermont in every bite.
Throughout the tour, the generosity with samples was incredibly impressive. It's not every day that you get to indulge in such a variety of Ben & Jerry's flavors, each more delicious than the last. This abundance of samples allowed for a true exploration of their flavor repertoire, making the experience as enjoyable as it was memorable.
Beyond the ice cream, the tour was infused with fun and education, making it a perfect outing for families, couples, or anyone looking to dive into the world of ice cream. The enthusiasm and knowledge of the guides added a personal touch that brought the factory to life.
In conclusion, the Ben & Jerry's Factory Tour is a must-do for anyone visiting Vermont. It's not just about the ice cream (which is fantastic); it's about celebrating a brand that has brought so much joy to so many people. Whether you're a long-time fan or new to the wonders of Ben & Jerry's, this tour is an unforgettable journey into the sweet, indulgent world of ice cream.

I was really excited to visit this factory and we even got lucky and scored an experimental tour of the facility on the day of our visit. The tour was very informative and we had ice cream samples as we went from one room to another. It goes without saying their ice cream was fantastic. I have many fond childhood memories associated with Ben and Jerry’s and it was great to finally see this place. The founders of the company do a lot of good for the world. It’s also funny to see the flavor graveyard. I would definitely recommend to check it out if you’re in Vermont!

We went on the factory tour to get a chance to see how the ice cream is made. It was a cheap tour for about a half hour long trip though history. It was pretty fun, ending with a secret flavor. Lots of ice cream available at the shop. It was really cool to check out the flavor graveyard and behind the scenes. Staff were super friendly, be ready for a ton of ice cream and cow puns!

The tour was great but make sure you book online in advance. It opens up 2 weeks before. The tour guide was informative and funny. You get some free samples and can ask questions etc. It isn't a long tour but just enough to keep small kids interested. There's also plenty of other places to visit while you're there like the flavour graveyard, a small kids play area, gift shop and scoop shop to get more ice cream 🍦 There are also pots of other places for photo opportunities. Really good value for a fun few hours out with the family.

Visiting Ben & Jerry's headquarters was a dream come true! The moment I stepped in, the sweet aroma of freshly churned ice cream filled the air, creating an instant feeling of happiness. The staff was incredibly friendly, sharing their passion for ice cream and making our tour not just informative but genuinely fun. Seeing the behind-the-scenes process of how they create their iconic flavors was fascinating and left me in awe of their creativity. And of course, the best part was the tasting session - a paradise of flavors that left my taste buds dancing. The experience was not just delicious but also heartwarming, knowing the company's commitment to sustainability and social causes. A must-visit for any ice cream lover!

The Ben & Jerry’s factory tour in Waterbury, Vermont offers a delightful experience for ice cream enthusiasts. Like me.
The highlight of the tour is undoubtedly the flavor tasting. Visitors get to sample a variety of euphoric ice cream flavors, including some that haven’t been released yet. It’s a treat for the taste buds!
The overall atmosphere at the factory is fantastic. Whether you’re exploring the Flavor Graveyard, enjoying the views of the Worcester Mountain range, or simply soaking in the ice cream vibes, it’s a fun and uplifting environment.
Production I
While the production process isn’t explicitly detailed during the tour (for safety reasons), visitors can still observe the factory floor from an observation gallery. Witnessing the magic behind the scenes adds to the experience.
Locally Owned and Operated: Ben & Jerry’s remains true to its roots. The locally owned and operated Waterbury ice cream shop allows you to enjoy your favorite flavors just as Ben and Jerry intended back in 1978.
Overall, if you’re a fan of ice cream and want to immerse yourself in the Ben & Jerry’s world, this tour is a must-do when visiting Vermont! 🍦🌟

This is mostly a review on a new flavor that Ben and Jerry’s released. So recently Ben and Jerry’s discontinued my favorite flavor “Chocolate Peanut Buttery Swirl” and I was absolutely devastated!!! I ate that one for years!! However, their new flavor Chocolate Peanut Butter Split is a PERFECT combination of Chocolate, Peanut butter and banana. This is my new favorite flavor and I know this came out as an Exclusive flavor it won’t be available for long so I’ve been stocking up, but all I have to say is it’s AMAZING and Ben and Jerry’s need to seriously consider making this a permanent flavor. I never thought I’d get over the discontinuation of Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl until THIS flavor came out!!! Ben and Jerry you’ve outdone yourself. PLEASE KEEP CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER SPLIT PERMANENTLY!! Please and thank you ❤️
About the Factory: my family has a timeshare in Vermont and every summer since I was a kid we visit the Ben and Jerry’s factory in Waterbury and we have always enjoyed the tours with the best samples of new flavors they come out with. Due to COVID and I believe recent construction their tours haven’t been running for a while so I wasn’t able to take it when I was there the past couple summers, but visiting the Ben and Jerry’s factory has always been a big part of my childhood and my family and I always make sure we stop by every year for a treat together. We even had the great opportunity to meet Jerry one time at the factory during one of our visits! Will always be a big Ben and Jerry’s fan 🍦❤️

Went on a day mid-week where there were way less people. And in November. So it was much less packed than usual and it was still somewhat busy.
Ice cream is excellent. We took the tour. Tour includes taste testing twice, including a scoop of ice cream at the end. You get to see the factory and the ice cream being made. They have an ice cream graveyard which is funny and interesting to see.

Fun place to bring family to see how ice cream is made and get to taste some very tasty ice cream. Strawberry cheesecake ice cream is my favorite. Plenty of parking and plenty of free EV charging stations also. As the attendant in entrance where is EV charging and make use of it. To buy ice cream there is a 30-40 minute long queue on busy days. If you have tour finish it and stand in line.

I loved the tour it was great! The movie clip was cool and inspiring. I loved seeing the factory and we had marshmallow sky samples I think that's my new favorite flavor 😋 I went to see the flavor graveyard it was fun reading the tombs. I went to the scoop shop afterward and got a small ice cream on a waffle cone. I picked a new flavor called, lights! caramel! action! I also took a pint of the blueberry sorbet to go. It was a fun experience and I'm glad I went and checked it out.

Awesome half hour tour. Great explanation of the history of Ben and Jerry’s. I wish more companies would have the same great philosophies if running a business like these guys do. Great experience. After the tour you get to sample one of their ice creams. Delicious. They need to figure out a better system to purchase ice cream. Standing in line for an hour in the cold is a bit chilly.

Yo dawg! I heard you like ice cream. So I bring you to Ben & Jerry’s factory, so you can eat ice cream on a cone while smelling ice cream on the ice cream factory tour to learn about ice cream and think about ice cream then get a free sample of their exclusive ice cream.
On a more serious note. This place is popular (for a good reason) so reserving the factory tour online is highly recommended. However, even if the online tickets are all sold out, try your luck at the kiosk in person and you may still get in.

I had a blast visiting Ben & Jerry's Factory in Vermont! I love the cool and creative design of this factory! The tour from start to finish took about a half hour. I was so impressed watching their video documenting the origination and evolution of Ben and Jerry's! Super impressive worldwide achievement! It was neat to see the packaging process, too! After seeing the factory, we were given a sample flavor of the day. It was definitely a great way to end the tour! I really enjoyed this mini adventure on our road trip to Stowe!

I have always loved Ben and Jerry's ice cream and getting a chance to visit their factory and eat the fresh ice cream was such a dream!
It was totally worth taking the tour (priced at just $6).. we visited on a weekend but were able to purchase tickets on the spot. As part of the tour, you get to see a video of how Ben and Jerry's originated, see their factory and learn how the ice cream gets prepared and finally get to sample a flavour that they are working on. Our guide was funny and answered all our questions!
We also purchased our favourite flavours of ice cream once we were done with the tour. They have a unique maple flavoured ice cream that is not available anywhere else! The flavour graveyard was hilarious and fun to visit. They have many other photo stops that are fun for kids and adults alike.

We had a BLAST at the Ben and Jerry's factory experience! You start off with a short film about the history of the company, then get to see the factory in action. Unfortunately, there was emergency maintenance undergoing while we were on our tour, so we didn't get to see much. After the factory tour, you visit the Scoop Shop and try an unmarketed flavor! We tried Marshmallow Sky, which will be in stores later this year. So exciting! Make sure you take a trip to the Flavor Graveyard. We found this entertaining and there are some flavors I wish they'd bring back. Ben and Jerry's is a must when visiting Vermont!

I had an amazing time at the Ben and Jerry's factory! The staff was incredibly accommodating, the tour was awesome, and the tour guide was both amiable and very educational. Even though they're not super pet friendly, they do allow dogs outside the buildings and everywhere except the factory area. They greet you at the door, and the factory tours are inexpensive. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to learn more about how ice cream is made. Don't forget to have fun and get some ice cream!

It was such a fun experience we really enjoyed the visit! I only wished we had more time inside the factory it felt a bit rushed. We bought our tickets online and everything went smoothly. The flavour graveyard is definitely a must if you drive by, it's free! Even without the factory visit there are plenty of things to do on site.
Amanda Ly — Google review
Ben & Jerry muscled their way into the ice cream business and seemingly did that with a sense of fun and humor. You may not like their politics but you have to admit they make/promote good products and they did it smiling. The factory visit is a must. It’s a light tour given by quick witted employees well versed in cow jokes. Yes cow jokes… the kind of lame stuff dear old dad might say.
Moo-ving on … The factory had been closed for the winter when we were there and they had a skeleton crew checking the machines , cleaning the machines, going over inventory, that kind of thing. No pics are allowed inside because, well I honestly don’t know why but they made out like “making ice cream in Vermont was akin to NORAD telecommunications”. I mean really, come on people it’s ice cream in Vermont not the Colonel’s Secret Chicken Recipe in Kentucky.
But these employees have a great sense of humor. Just out side the factory is a graveyard for ice cream flavors that are no longer being sold. It’s quite clever, and worth the walk. The reason an ice cream might stop being made was interesting - sometimes public interest just wasn’t there and sometimes a particular ingredient might become too costly to mass produce - so it gets the graveyard even if it’s still popular. I really admire some of the clever things this company does and I equally admire how they grabbed the ice cream market and made it their own.
Ben and Jerry are no longer involved in ice cream, they run an affiliated foundation which of many things has promoted defunding the police and facing “sins of the past”. I think a better goal would be to fund “anti obesity” projects in the US, given that their products have certainly played a role in “an ever growing America”.

Located in Waterbury, Vermont, Cold Hollow Cider Mill is a popular spot for tourists and locals to buy delicious baked goods and cider. The property also includes a market where people can purchase syrups and other Vermont items.
OMG! This place is a gem. If finally know the difference between apple juice vs apple cider. They have a free tasting area in the back so you can actually taste real apple cider. It's way better than normal apple juice. They also make cider donuts that are delicious and it's not covered with sugar. The store has so many gift items that are very local to VT. Super friendly staff also.

Iconic Vermont stop that the whole family will enjoy! We stopped in after driving by many times and were impressed with the diverse goods available to buy, from food to kitchen gadgets and more! The store layout is efficient and our wait in line for the cider donuts was not that long. Neat facts about the state and also local history on thr property.

This trip is well worth it. The cider and donuts are unparalleled, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. In addition, they have a tasting room where you can sample their cider fresh from the tap, and during the summer, there are outdoor games to enjoy. There are plenty of things for the whole family to explore and enjoy

Spent the day hitting all the best spots in town because we were supposed to get a ton of rain, and it ended up being such a nice day. It was about an hour away from our AirBNB to get into Stowe and I fully believe that if we drove exclusively to enjoy the $3 donut ice cream sandwich that I picked this spot for that it would've been worth the drive just for that.
Cold Hollow Cider Mill was a very unique general store feel, it had souvenirs and junk you'd expect to run I to on vaca trip, but it also had a honey section with a live and see through beehive to watch which was super cool, and of course the apple cider donuts and soft serve ice creams at the counter.
Delicious and fun with a lot of interesting junk.

The ambiance, warmth and hospitality of this place makes you feel as if you have stepped into a scene in a Hallmark movie. All their specialty treats are delicious!!! The Apple Cider tastes as if you have placed a straw directly into a sweet apple, The cider doughnuts are moist and delicious. Perfect for brunch or a fulfilling snack. The Maple ice cream has the perfect blend of Maple and cream flavors.
The Cider Mill is also a great place to purchase those one-of-a-kind souvenirs for your Family and Friends. I truly enjoyed my experience.

I was excited to kick off the fall season by visiting Cold Hollow Cider Mill on my road trip to Stowe Vermont! The cider mill was very quaint. I enjoyed shopping in their general store, finding lots of unique odds and ends. The cider making process was also interesting and fun to experience. I was slightly disappointed in their customer service. One of the reasons we stopped in was for their legendary donuts we had heard so much about. Unfortunately, even though we were willing to wait for a hot batch to be made, they insisted they could only sell what was immediately available. The cold donuts left us disappointed and uninspired. I threw half of mine away.

Really adorable business with a lot of northeastern charm. Lots of neat things to explore in their market that sells everything from from canned goodies to t shirts. I hope to try out the restaurant on site the next time I'm up that way.

This is a fun place to stop, be prepared for crowds and have patience. The donuts are delicious, ours were hot and fresh! Their cider is filtered and more like apple wine IMO (compared to DownEast Ciders) but still worth doing the tasting flight. Lots of local jams, jellies, and other snacks for sale as well.

This place was so cute!!
They have two sections that you can go to.
The first section was like a store. They had all types of goodies that were made with apple cider or that you can use for cooking. They made fresh apple cider donuts in house that were so good. Then in the back you can see them making fresh apple cider. I didn’t really know what to expect When people made apple cider but it made so much sense once I’ve seen it. I was so fascinated. They also had tastings of this cider which was SO GOOD.
The next section was a little café. They sell food and drinks. They also had a bar which you can get hard apple cider tastings. I don’t drink apple cider that is spite, but my cousin did. I have a taste, and what I can say is that the cider was strong! It had great flavor, though.
All of the employees were really kind to us when we were in the shops.
This is definitely a must stop when you were in Vermont. The Cidermill is on the same road as the Cabot Creamery store and the Ben & Jerry’s store.

It was many years ago that I visited this place on a class trip. Hadn't been back for 30+ years. My girlfriend and I have been back here three times in the past 2 years. It's a must-visit when we're back in Vermont seeing family. Buy some fresh-made donuts and munch while you shop. Go to the tasting tank and sample what cider is supposed to taste like. If you're lucky you'll get to see the press in action at the viewing room. See y'all again in December 😉

To be honest, it was probably a fault on our part to not have researched a little more but I was expecting a visit to Cold Hollow Cider Mill to be a little more experiential. It’s 100% self guided and it’s up to you what you do. There’s dining options and drinking options as well as shopping. Because we weren’t really sure what to expect we mainly walked around. We did check out the bar area where we ordered a flight of their alcoholic ciders and sat in their cozy lounge but there wasn’t much of an experience given by staff. What I do wish we’d done was buy more maple syrup because the little vial we bought was so delicious we drank it in one sitting! Overall, I’d return but with a better idea of an objective.

Cold Hollow is one of our favorite places to visit in Vermont! It’s usually busy (especially in the fall) but 100% a do-not-miss! They have every Vermonty / Cidery / Mapley thing you might need or want and free cider samples in the back where you can learn all about how apple cider is made! They have good Creemees (maple flavored soft-serve) and amazing Apple Cider Slushies made fresh by some of the nicest people! Don’t skip the Apple Core Luncheonette across the parking lot!

Loved the Cold Hollow Cider Mill. Everything Vermont all in one place. We were able to find so many things we never knew we wanted. They also have a bakery where you can get the best cider donuts with a cup of maples flavored hot chocolate which was perfect for the cold weather we were experiencing. If you are in the area, definitely stop in and take a quick browse, I guarantee you will get something.

Stowe Recreation Path is a verdant 5.3-mile pathway and park that is famous for its opportunities to hike, bike, and enjoy picnics or swimming. The lush greenway provides visitors with a range of outdoor activities in a beautiful natural setting. This extensive recreation path offers ample space for strolling or cycling while enjoying the scenic views of the surrounding environment.
Stowe is a well-known ski resort in the Northeast with more than 100 trails and two mountains. The resort has a spa, heated pool and fitness centre, making it a great place to relax after skiing or snowboarding.
I can only speak to the ski lift and the “village” across the street as I didn’t stay at the resort. The lift takes you up to the top and it’s gorgeous view in the summer! Breathtaking! And going across the street was so fun as well, open to everyone the little town with vendors and seating was great. Would recommend

I went skiing at the Stone Mountain Resort, and it was a great experience. I was in the ski school, and the teachers were very helpful. The slopes and the runs are very well-kept and beautiful. I would suggest going earlier in the day when it's not as crowded. The only issue I had was that some people were smoking, and the parking lot that is not a mile away said it charges $5 per hour, but they charged us $45; we were only there for three hours, so we tried to report that, but they would not listen to us. But besides that, our experience is good.
Elisha Pick — Google review
We visited this place during weekdays so the crowd was not too much. This means we could get the lift tickets, rentals and hit the slopes fairly quickly.
The lifts were also fairly empty so getting to the top was never a problem.
This was my first attempt at skiing so I decided to go with their 2 hour lessons. This was very beneficial as the instructors gave up the solid foundation on moving and turning. The next day, I was hitting the green slope with ease.
Prices of lift tickets are on the higher side but makes sense considering the number of lifts they offer. A long ride in the gondola is definitely recommended. The restaurant at the top of the mountain is usually busy and requires reservation.
All in all, a great experience and a highly recommended destination fir skiing.

Stowe is beyond awesome! Between the powdery slopes, cool gondola experience, access to many ski rental shops and the mountain road restaurants and breweries! One of the best ski resort towns I’ve ever been to. The staff is awesome and welcoming. The slopes are nice and wide so you don’t feel like you’re running into people. They have a separated beginner mountain from the intermediates/diamonds so you don’t have to worry about beginners skiing/snowboarding into you! Super neat lodges/resorts to stay at just 5 mins away from the mountain! Not to mention you can easily just ski out right to your car. Super easy to access the mountain!

This is the most fantastic skiing resort I’ve been to. The views are incredible and it’s such a long run. I went down the easier slopes and those were scary for me. We paid a half day trip there during the fall foliage season. The view was breathtaking.
The gondolas took you to the summit for a panorama view; where, you can see far away but the trees up there are mostly evergreen. So fall foliage is not as spectacular as down below.
Buying gondola ride tickets in advance will save you about 20 minutes of lining up.

Ok. I have lived in Austria for 23 years. So I have to compare.
Skiing. In Austria they groom every run every day. Except bump trails of course. So the on piste skiing is way way better. I guess Vail is saving money. But for $200+ a day it’s nuts.
A season pass that covers 25 ski areas all within an hour costs about $700. No blackout dates.
Next is food. The huts all over the mountains are all independent. So they charge the going rates of a normal restaurant. Not $9,00 for fries and $13,50 for a beer. About $4,00 each.
Oh. And I never waited 20 minutes in a lift line to get on a 20 year old quad.
Customers are getting take. Advantage of at Stowe.
But of course they pay a lot so say it’s great to justify it

Early season. Stowe has the most terrain open in the entire U.S. Went with my wife on a Monday morning and had Spruce Peak almost entirely to ourselves. The conditions were wet and heavy, not favorable for novices, but we had a blast. Skied again Tuesday morning and it was perfect for us, packed corduroy. The grooming crew at Stowe is insane. With an epic pass, this is so worth the money.

The ride is good. But the glasses has so many scratchs. Difficult to see outside clearly.
On the hill, the clouds feel so close. Environment changes very quickly.
And there are no restroom nere the ride. You have to go resort area with another ride. And the waiting period is long. Not enough washroom for only ride users.
Mt. Mansfield is the tallest peak in Vermont and one of the highest in New England. It's a popular tourist destination with plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy, including hiking, skiing, and viewing stunning views from its summit.
Hiked this mountain a week ago. Started on the Long Trail South and got to the top that way. If you are looking for an easy way...this is NOT the trail for you. Basically it's all up. Just when you think it can't go up anymore it does. The last leg of it was a lot of rock/cliff climbing. But there are some beautiful streams and waterfalls on the way up. When we got to the top, we decided not to take the same way down...however we took the "Cliff Trail" down. I figured since it went to gondola, it couldn't be that hard. Lol. I was wrong. However there are bars to grab on when you go over the rocks and cliffs. Just be careful of slippery rocks. We saw a man with his German Shepard and the dog was NOT going to go down that way. Poor thing was whimpering. The guys girlfriend left him and the dog there and went down herself. 😂🤣 Anyway once we got down the cliff Trail, we just walked down the service road, which was actually harder than you'd think, because smaller rocks were under your feet. Still there were many beautiful views along the way up and down. Was a challenging hike for sure. Glad I can say I hiked it from the bottom of the mountain up, vs using auto road to get towards the top.
Missy B. — Google review
Prepare for a long day of hiking uphill if you want to make it to the summit, if you want to save your energy I suggest hiking early so you can take the gondola ride back down, otherwise, it’s a very tiring (but doable) loop.
Beautiful views, brief areas where you actually have to do a bit of rock climbing, and very windy at the top. Loved this hike up mount Mansfield.

Beautiful view but rated theee because of the road. Drove all the way to the top parking (last one through the cloud). Costed 47usd for 2 adults and a child. Very dangerous driving route because the road was too narrow for two-way.
had mini heart attacks everytime a car came from the other side.

Visited from Toronto for this hike, and absolutely worth it! We took the halfway house route up, and the sunset ridge route down. This total took us 5 hours, precisely. The sunset ridge had nicer views, and was slightly easier than the halfway house (neither were easy though!!).
This hike was fairly technical. You have to maintain a level of concentration to ensure careful footing on the rocks. Also, it was pretty inclined the entire time. It was not a walk in the park, that’s for sure.

Excellent hike for a day with friends.
We did go through the toughest climb.
It’s not for everyone… very steep.
It was almost like climbing.
Some older couple were even stuck in the middle (and you don’t want to go down this side!)
Ask to make sure you take the easy route up if you are not experienced.
It was a very nice 8km up and down.
The views from the top are superb.
You have to get there early if you want parking. We were there around 8am and it was already full.
There is also a hiking fee that you need to pay for near the parking lot.
We found a lucky spot to park our Sprinter.
I gave it 4 stars because it’s a bit busy.
But well worth it otherwise.

This is a great day hike. Not too long to get to the top, it took me about 4 hours. You can see Lake Champlain and Burlington from the peak on a clear day. It gets very windy above the treeline. Bring a light jacket even if you go in the summer.

Beautiful trail. I highly recommend taking the toll road. Very windy on top, bring your windbreaker and maybe a light fleece even for warm sunny days. It gets pretty cold. We went in late August and were comfortable in multiple light layers. Don't be that guy wearing just a t-shirt. You can see Lake Champlain, and also the ski lift that is operating at Stowe. If you're trying to pick between taking the ski lift to the top vs toll road I would suggest toll road. The ski lift awkwardly puts you in the middle of the trail so you'd have to double back if you want to hike the full thing. Fairly easy trail if you're just doing the top, we saw plenty of families. There are rocks to scramble over, but no dangerous drop offs or anything like that.

Worth the hike. Is not too hard. If you are not in good shape just walk slow
