Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area Siuslaw National Forest
Discover the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, an ideal destination for off-roading and hiking enthusiasts. This stunning location boasts 40 miles of wind-shaped sand dunes and offers campgrounds for visitors to enjoy. Take time to explore this beautiful area before embarking on a scenic drive up the coast on Highway 101. For those seeking adventure, there's a challenging 4.
For a first time visitor, it is actually quite hard to find the dunes. We happened across the visitor center in Reedsport, after driving many miles South from Florence. The center was closed, but lo and behold an angel appeared from within and gave us suggestions and directions to two locations that were awesome. One to the South of Windy Bay and the other on the John Dellenback dunes trail. They offered different perspectives but we're both amazing in their own right.

There are so many activities that are offered here. One of my favorites is mushroom picking. You can pick up different types of permits to pick mushrooms or greens throughout the area. They offer maps and help you with locations as to where you might have the best luck to find what you are looking for. The staff is very knowledgeable of the area.

Great hike, great walk don't forget your water

South Jetty - This was a fantastic area for me and my family in our Jeep to discover! Wide enough areas with many levels of dunes. I saw a lot of safe riding and it it was pretty empty for a summer Sunday.
I recommend bringing a map if it's your first time out cuz there's a lot of fingers to the dunes here. There were even areas to do some mudding! Be aware of the tide tables if you venture over the last dune onto the beach. Don't forget to air down and bring/mount your flag!

The Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area extends for 40 miles along the Oregon Coast. They run from Florence to Coos Bay. Bordering the Pacific Ocean, you can drive a dune buggy or quad bike on the beach as well as the sand dunes. We had a blast riding up and down the dunes before heading to the beach to cool down. Woo hoo! A great day if you're looking for an adventure 😀

Beautiful place to spend some time. The large loop trail 4.5 miles is quite strenuous since most of it is through soft sand. Near the sign in station a 1 mile gentle grade firm trail goes down to dune level. It has lovely picknic tables with amazing views.
Michelle Gervol — Google review
It’s the Pacific Ocean, and as always the view was spectacular. It smelled so good out on the Dunes
Thomas Van Leeuwen — Google review
Dune buggy heaven. Take a ride to the top and come charging down. Kids love it. These are huge.
William Verigan — Google review
Always fun to ride.
Just wish when it's busy that most people would realize it's better to ride to the right of the main road from bull run to spin reel and again on the road to the right of the main oe on the way back. There could be less head on collisions if people could ride this way more often. Lots of area to ride!

What an amazing place. Dunes right on the coast. Loads of things to do and see. I'll be back for sure
Black Bear Hiker — Google review
This great expanse of dunes and beach is a prestine wilderness. At least when we went in early autumn. Cold and windy. The scenery of these massive dunes (climbing some 60 feet) with the beach and sea below is a spectacle.
Eduardo Mace — Google review
Such a beautiful area and something to do for everyone! Rent side by sides at Ridin Dirty Atv Rentals and explore the dunes, walk the beach, go crabbing and fishing, or hang out at the Blue Box and listen to some great music!
Angela Warner — Google review
We visited two sections of the sand dunes from Florence OR, make sure you pick up a map upon entering. Great place to get some steps in and view these massive sand dunes. You can rent vehicles from an outside company to ride thru the dunes if desired. I just enjoyed the nature trails and flowers along the way! Bathrooms and steps are in good condition. Great parking, they do check your car for a paid pass. Dont be cheap and end up paying a fine. Its a park, do the right thing..

Ya gotta like sand and a lot of it. Not a ocean beach scene but great dunes sweeping down to fresh water lakes. A unique region of the Oregon Coast to be sure.
What an incredible place to see elk, birds, and other wildlife. Unfortunately there weren’t any elk when my husband and I stopped, but we still enjoyed our time seeing all the birds. This would be a great place to stop if you need a break to stretch your legs or have a picnic. There were two areas with toilets - the pit toilets we used were very clean.
emily p — Google review
Beautiful roadside viewing with a consistent herd of elk. There are several pull off locations. The primary parking lot has a gazebo with informative displays all about the herd in the various seasons. There are bathrooms which we didn’t check out and lots of benches to sit on. It wasn’t crowded the day we went, but it’s the off season for tourism in the area. Bring binoculars in case they’re all laying in the tall grass.
Laurel Hoffman — Google review
Great place to watch the elk. Nice and chill. You can sit in your car or on a bench.
Rose Kress — Google review
We drove 2 and 1/2 hours to go see it. Nothing showed up where the viewing area was , but down the road there were many elk there but you couldn't stop because of busy road, no where to pull over.
Rebeccah Lockwood — Google review
Excellent place to stop and stretch on a road trip! The two restrooms are usually clean, but sometimes can run low on supplies, so bring TP and sanitizer or soap just in case.
The elk are really neat to see, bring a pair of binoculars, just in case they're farther away than you expect!
Maggie Colletti — Google review
Watching the elk herd meander around the area was inspiring. As they came closer to the fence line it was obvious that many were pregnant so will definitely be heading back to visit after calving to see all the calves. If you've never seen an Elk up close, this is the place you'll want to experience.

Lady Elks were in several places but the bucks must be out hiding. Good information kiosk, restrooms, good place for birding, plentybof room too. Check out a geocache site as well. Dean Creek runs clear across from the beautiful Umpqua River!

Just stopped by to use the restroom. It was very dark and couldn't see a thing. When I went by about 2 hours earlier though, saw about 50 to 60 elk, many up near the road. Been here a total of three times and have seen elk two of those three times.
very cool place. I've been here a few times bur this time we were driving by in the dark and I had to use the restroom so we stopped there and I used the restroom which was very clean and everything worked they had soap and my boyfriend used the other bathroom and there was no light I'm sure they were going to fix it cuz somebody takes very good care of the bathrooms and it's really cool to sit and watch the elk in the daytime
Angela Torrez — Google review
Bathrooms available, maybe not the best maintained. We were there 2 times over 3 days and there was no toilet paper. But there are very often elk to see, lots of seating and it's very clean. Honestly, the best bet if you wanna see elks. There were several young elks that were romping around.
Nsomniacs Dream — Google review
My husband and I absolutely love stopping or driving by the viewing area. The elk are beautiful and get really close to the road at times. There are many birds to see as well.
Jeri Watson — Google review
Saw about 80 ish elk around 9:30 AM- It was amazing.
Courtney Keys — Google review
The bathroom was in bad shape. The button to flush the urinal was broken and the other door was locked.
I gave some stars because on my visit the Elk were up at the fence for viewing.

Cool spot easy access right off the free way I would say Handicap accessible, Paved walkways easy to get close to the rails. Great way to see nature.
Jessie M. Honeyman Memorial State Park is a sought-after destination owing to its picturesque hiking trails amidst stunning sand dunes, well-stocked freshwater lakes with boat ramps and 167 campsites. One can revel in nature's beauty and still have access to modern amenities like hot water, clean restrooms and accommodations.
We loved our stay! Most camp sites have quite a bit of privacy with large trees and bushes in between. We stayed near the playground and welcome center. Our site was clean, quiet and very dark at night. The welcome center had firewood, ice, fire starter, maps, and cool information about the natural wildlife. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. There are many trails to ride long distances on bikes and even more for hiking. Many campers had 4wheelers and dune bikes to ride the many open sand dunes. There are two lakes nearby that are somewhat easy to access with a bit of walking or riding but well worth it. One lake is against the dunes which makes for shallow/lukewarm water play even in October.
We saw birds, rabbits, chipmunks, and had an unfortunate few hours of dealing with termite swarms around our campsite.
This campground and park is beautiful and peaceful!

Otherwordly! Such a fun place to explore the dunes. Easy to get to, easy to navigate. Good signage, clean restrooms. You can buy a parking pass from an automated kiosk.
Angie Marie — Google review
This is a beauty. Lots of lakes and sand dunes and trails and cool camp sites and people. And just S. of Florence, a bustling small city, makes Honeyman the best.
On the negative side, bees can be really bothersome this time of year. If allergic, take appropriate steps to minimize risk. And as always, have fun! That's why you're there. Huge day use/ picnic area. Campers kids have awesome playground.
Peter Dilger — Google review
Places to camp or picnic for the day. $5/day parking fee. Bathrooms are always clean. You can rent little kayaks, they usually have an assortment of life jackets by the little swimming area. My dad used to come here when he was a teenager, so he would bring my mom and I when I was a kid. Now, I'm bringing my little family!

Trees of Mystery is a roadside attraction located in Klamath, California, on U.S. Route 101, not far from the California/Oregon border. It is a popular tourist destination, known for its giant redwood trees, Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox statues, and its variety of attractions.
Here are some interesting facts about Trees of Mystery:
The park was founded in 1946 by John Detweiler, who was inspired by the beauty of the redwoods.
The park's name comes from the many unusual tree formations found on the property, including the Cathedral Tree, the Brotherhood Tree, the Candelabra Tree, and the Elephant Tree.
The park's Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox statues are the largest in the world. They are 50 feet tall and 30 feet wide, respectively.
Trees of Mystery offers a variety of attractions, including hiking trails, a museum, a gift shop, and a variety of shows and exhibits.
The park is open year-round, but the best time to visit is during the spring or fall, when the weather is mild.
Redwood trees are the tallest and oldest living organisms on Earth. They can grow up to 300 feet tall and live for over 2,000 years. Redwood trees are found only along the Pacific Coast of North America, from southern Oregon to northern California.
Redwood trees are important for the environment. They provide habitat for many different species of plants and animals, and they help to clean the air and water. Redwood trees are also a popular tourist destination, and they help to support the local economy.
If you are looking for a unique and unforgettable experience, I recommend visiting Trees of Mystery. It is a great place to learn about redwood trees and to enjoy the beauty of the Pacific Coast.
Here are some additional tips for planning your visit to Trees of Mystery:
The park is open from 9am to 5pm, 7 days a week.
There is a $20 admission fee for adults, $15 for seniors, and $10 for children ages 6-12. Children under 5 are free.
The park offers a variety of hiking trails, ranging from easy to challenging.
The museum at Trees of Mystery has exhibits on the history of the redwoods, the local Native American tribes, and the park's attractions.
The park also has a gift shop, a restaurant, and a variety of shows and exhibits.
I hope you enjoy your visit to Trees of Mystery!

Stayed here in June with extended family over 4 campsites and rented the picnic ramada. We all came at different times over the weekend and the staff at the park was so helpful and patient with us! We rented a full hook up site (#15) for our 29 ft Class C with tow vehicle. Sites in this park tend to be very close to each other but some are more private than others due to the amount of vegetation. #15 and #47 were exactly back to back with just a log in between. Thankfully we had great neighbors. We also rented tent site #16 which had #49 and #51 right behind it. We also rented the yurt #17 which was pretty awesome. It was the most private site. It is dog-friendly. And we rented tent site #56 –there was a lot of brush between it and the yurt. All sites have a pavement pad, a dirt tent area, a picnic table and a fire pit.
You can easily walk (3 minutes) from the registration check in to the dunes parking lot which is day use. The overnight camping permit includes day use fees at the dunes, Clearwox Lake and Whoahink Lake. Both lakes are gorgeous. Whoahink is known for being a great diving lake. There’s a diving course with things to see and the water is very clear. Weather for early June was perfect and not many mosquitoes. Starlink had a good signal even though there were lots of trees. Since this park is so huge, there are lots of different areas. The area is the back is near the OHV trail so there tended to be more trailers back there and it was much more open.
The OHV trail at Honeyman is closed through the summer and so are some of the beaches to walking and dogs. There is a cool map that shows which areas are open to what activities. We were able to find beach access for the dogs to run off-leash that was separate from the OHV area.

Great place to visit just for the day, or if you're able to find a campsite tons to do at the park. Just outside of town of Florence. Nice to go camping and then go grab dinner in town if you don't feel like cooking that night. Very close to the beach. It will very quickly become your favorite place to schedule for the seasonal getaway.

This is a pretty good Oregon State Park. Great spot if you’re an ATV or off-roader, or sand scooter person…. Or whatever they call those LOUD sand dune buggies now a-days.
No Beach Access.
Nice clean newly remodeled restrooms with free showers.
No security and no personal at the gate. Anyone can come in and steal your stuff. We didn’t have any problems, but apparently it’s somewhat common as there are warnings posted.
Nice welcome center with maps, information and friendly humans.

Riding the dunes!
We ride the dunes typically twice a month. Over the last few years we have stayed at Honeyman a few times. Nice campground with easy dune access.
Can easily navigate a 40 ft toy hauler through the campground- no low branches or anything like that.
We stayed in H loop!

From all I'm hearing and experiencing this State Park is in high demand much of the season..but as luck would have it, it's open all year round. There's plenty of time to get a taste of nature accompanied with all your modern conveniences like hot water, showers, restrooms, toilet paper and squeaky clean sites and accommodations... there's trails to lakes, dune's, and if the mood strikes you're 5 minutes from the town of Florence. Florence is a nice, clean town, quiet, and has everything ( except Starbucks) for whatever needs you have. Minutes away from your local grocery & gas station... movie theater or personalized family owned diner...you won't be disappointed.
The Siuslaw River Bridge is a historic drawbridge with ornate architecture located in Florence, Oregon. It was built in 1936 as part of the WPA project during the Great Depression. The bascule bridge spans over the Siuslaw river and offers picturesque views of the sand dunes. Its Egyptian-style spires and gothic-looking arches make it one of the most visually stunning bridges on the Oregon coast.
Love scenic Florence, Oregon! The bridge is beautiful, the sand dunes, river... all beautiful! A small, clean strolling town with interesting shops, galleries and great food! (Try some Oregon beers on tap while you're there).

Waterfalls
Sweet Creek Falls was one of my favorite experiences in all of Oregon! The beautiful collection of waterfalls is relatively easy to hike but has so much beauty contained in all the nuances up the river! We only found this spot thanks to having too much time between locations. We shot a lot of waterfalls on this trip but the final waterfall on this journey was the most lovely we found the entire time. If you're a waterfall chaser this is the spot to experience!

My favorite place. Best Month to go is January, after heavy rains. Trail was not as bad as I expected after last week's wind storm. One of the bridges was slightly damaged, not too bad. Gorgeous all the way up. For safety, always use a walking stick, watch your step. Everybody no matter how old you are can trip and land in the creek!

Sea Lion Caves is a privately owned wildlife preserve and bird sanctuary that offers tours. This attraction features sea lions that can be observed in their natural habitat while enjoying the beauty of the area. Visitors will also find informational signs, exhibits, and an awe-inspiring cave to explore. The sounds and smells of the sea lions provide a unique experience for those who visit this attraction. Although there may be crowds during peak season, off-season visits offer a more relaxed atmosphere to enjoy this tourist destination.
Very cool experience. I loved the Sea Lion Caves as much as I loved the history and construction of the elevator. There was nobody else there when I went so that played a big role in my overall enjoyment. In the summer I bet it's a mad house. Lots of Sea Lions because it's the winter months. 💙
Captain Cake — Google review
The sea lions are really cool. Definitely worth checking out.
The facilities are all really well maintained, and the signs are interesting to read.
It does smell, though, which is to be expected from a bunch of any animals, but still good to keep in mind. If you have a hard time with smells it might be hard to enjoy.
The pathways are also decently steep ramps, which can tire you out quickly. If you don't feel like taking a steep walk or might struggle with it, it's an important thing to understand.
Heavenly (Bebs Gufflufle) — Google review
Sadly the place was closed when I was going by but if you walk along the roadway you can see the sea lions. I will definitely try to arrive before they close next time I’m in the area. Looks very cool!

The sea lions weren't in the day we were there, but it isn't a zoo. It's a natural habitat. The cave is very cool! It's super interesting, beautiful with incredible views. We saw lots of sea lions just off of shore. Just outside of the cave.
Wonderful gift shop that didn't feel "touristy". This place isn't a tourist trap, it's a wonderful, natural, protected treasure.
Go check it out! If they know the sea lions aren't in, they will tell you before you purchase tickets. But I tell you, even without the sea lions, you will love it!
Shawna Taylor — Google review
This was a fun thing to do on a Saturday afternoon! Lots of good info about sea lions and lots of fun watching them hang out in the cave. It's definitely a tourist trap thing, but I appreciated being able to see the sea lions in their natural habitat doing sea lion things. If I didn't have my kids with me I would have stayed longer and tried to see if I could spot any whales, but alas my kids got antsy.

The sea lions are really cool and definitely worth checking out. The facilities are all really well maintained however It does smell, though, which is to be expected from a bunch of animals in one place. It also had an amazing view of the ocean and the lighthouse.

Great views. Unique experience, the caves are so cool and interesting. They are very well maintained. There weren’t any sea lions inside the cave due to great weather outside but we did see all of them from the view point.
Talia Winner — Google review
Pretty cool place to see a large number of sea lions! An elevator will take you down the cave (~3/4 mins). The views are amazing once you enter the cave, smells pretty strong once you enter but then you get used to it for rest of your visit. Good spot to visit on US-1.
Neha Khisty — Google review
I almost didn’t do this because I thought it would be a tourist trap, but I actually had a ton of fun and found it gorgeous, with some nice informational signs and little exhibits. The cave itself is awe inspiring, and the smell and cacophony of the sea lions is weirdly enjoyable.
If it was really crowded I might not have liked it as much, but in the off season it was very chill.
Worth the price of admission for sure (which was my concern when I saw it was 16 dollars).
Jack Piephoff — Google review
It’s a cool place to see sea lions hanging out in cave. Though we could able to see only 2-3 sea lions inside cave but tons of them outside in a hangout place on the shore. I was told that more sea lions will be seen in the cave during winter seasons.
Sathish Jayapal — Google review
A must-visit, truly a standout during our road trip. Just brace yourself for the lively symphony of seals in the cave – and yes, a bit of a distinct aroma too ;-) It's fascinating to observe the sea lions gathering in clusters as they gracefully navigate the waters. On that particular day, we were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a few whales in the ocean as well. The only enhancement suggestion would be to create a pedestrian island as you cross the highway from the parking lot.
Michael Gronovius — Google review
It's a beautiful cave, but if you are going to see sea lions check before you make the drive. They are not in the cave year-round. It's an expensive trip to see an empty cave.
That being said, it is privately owned and it costs money to maintain it.
If you have grown up around the ocean and/or you live a few hours away, I'd wait until the sea lions are in the cave.
If you are not from or near a coastal regions and the ocean is a new or a rare experience it's definitely worth it, sea lions or not. There's also a look-out spot where you get a clear shot of the light house. It's definitely an experience worth investing in if it new to you.
If you go when the sea lions are not in the cave, drive to Newport after. Across from Ripley Believe it or not there is a pier where you can see, hear, and smell them close up. They're smelly, but worth it there's also, an ice cream/coffee shop where you can sit and watch the sea lions.
Kris B — Google review
We went in the off season so little to no wait to get in. Sea lions already left for the season but we were able to go down to the caves and look around. Greats views from many spots within the walk to the caves and within the cave itself. Restrooms are available on site. There is a nice gift shop that sales homemade fudge. There is plenty of parking available in front of the shop and additional parking across the street. You can easily spend 2 to 3 hours here.
Cassy Marx — Google review
The girl at the front desk did a good job giving us a heads-up that we may not see sea lions because it’s feeding season. They took $2 off each of our ticket prices and offered a rain check for one year to come back. While we appreciated this, $2 off ended up feeling like not enough off once we went down there. There just wasn’t much to the attraction overall. (We felt half off would’ve been more appropriate.) The rain check is cool, but we’re out of town (as I would imagine many visitors are) so we won’t be able to use it unfortunately. The gift shop was cute though!

Sea Lion Caves is quite a Accomplishment. The elevator shaft cut out of solid rock is 215 feet down. There were lots of sea lions in cave when there.

Honestly I wasn’t sure what to expect when we stopped to check it out. We took the elevator down to the caves and the sea lions really are quite amazing. There were over 100 sea lions there when we visited. Most were on the rocks, but a few were playing in the waves. My skeptical wife enjoyed it too!

It was an average experience, not quite what I expected. However, the lady who sold me the tickets was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. The panoramic shots were great.

Except that you want to see the sea lion. This is great looking place you can come and walk around and see beautiful ocean and listen the wave and stuff. I came to the wrong season tho so no sea lion that day.
The Heceta Head Lighthouse is a functioning 19th-century lighthouse on the coast, which has been transformed into a scenic bed and breakfast with six rooms. Visitors can take a short hike to the top for breathtaking views of the surroundings, which are very well-kept. Although some guests may find the bathrooms in outdoor spaces unpleasant, it is still worth visiting this popular tourist attraction.
Wow! Just beautiful! It's just a shirt hike to see this amazing piece of American History still working.
Got to your the ground floor as the upper floor is not built for large and continuous crowds. Still worth the visit, the view and fresh air!!!

This place is beautiful! The walking trail alone is full of history! The lighthouse at the end of the trail opens to a gorgeous view of the ocean, and going inside is an experience itself. The park rangers there were very knowledgeable and you could tell they weren't there to collect a check. You can't go up the stairs, but it's still such a cool experience. You should definitely stop by if you're in the area or looking for vacation spots.
CreativeGirl247 — Google review
Really worth the stop. A secluded beach surrounded by forest and a 19th century lighthouse overlooking the water. There is a path (about 1/2 mile) to get to both the gift shop and lighthouse itself, which may make it difficult for older folks and handicapped individuals as the path is uphill, however you can see the lighthouse and take some worthwhile photos at the base parking area. There is also a five dollar fee which I think is worth the time! Definitely a beautiful location!

Fascinating stop on a stretch of coastal highway in northwestern Oregon. This lighthouse is operational and has historical significance in the settlement of the western United States. The views on a clear day are magnificent and breathtaking. The hike to the lighthouse from the parking area/beach is navigable on foot but suggested for the rested not the weary.
Lynn Franklin — Google review
We visit the lighthouse all the time! Fairly easy walk up the trail from beach parking lot to lighthouse with Guesthouse and Souvenir shop midway to rest or explore. View from lighthouse grounds is phenomenal. Tours inside the lighthouse (when available) offer rich, informative history of the building and lifestyle of the keepers. And of course, the beach below offers wonderful low tide pools and caves to explore. Always a great adventure!

Beautiful!!! Short hike to the top. Excellent views. Very well manicured. A must see!!!
FYI the bathrooms are disgusting but that wouldn’t stop me from coming back. Most outdoor spaces like this are. If you aren’t comfortable using the restroom in a stinky, filthy bathroom you may want to plan accordingly

Fantastic experience.
Highly recommend. And if you get lucky you'll get the nice lady that gave the tour of the old lighthouse keepers quarters. What an amazing history lesson! Lighthouse is large and great quality. I'm glad it was open on the bottom floor to see up. Be prepared for any kind of chilly wind or fog at any time. We were not prepared and had to improvise at the gift shop. Has portable restroom stalls at the top and full bathroom buildings at the bottom. Sometimes the main parking lot gets full.
Worth the trip and time!

Loved this place. You have to hike a decent way to get to it, but well worth the effort. Beautiful views and the people that work there are very informative. The lighthouse is beautiful. A word of advice, if you by the Shirt and hat combination, $17.00, make sure you choose a shirt size 3 or 4 sizes bigger than you need, it shrunk so much I can't wear it but at least I have a new hat!!! 😉

This is a great place to go visit. If you like history in good views, that's on great little beach, find The Plan. The water go look at the caves on Maryland edges. You from tight polls at low tide. Nice little heights up to caretaker home and lighthouse. Great for taking pictures, we keep coming back. You can't go wrong

Very cool historic lighthouse on the Oregon coast. A 0.5 mile walk from the parking lot just off 101. $5 to park and access. You can’t go up to the top of the lighthouse, but the walk and the location offer some great views.

What a great little hike. The caretaker house is very intriguing. I want to stay there some time.
The lighthouse is beautiful. The lens is really amazing. Make sure you check it out.

Drove up the coast from Florence on a Tuesday afternoon. Parked on the beach and hiked up the 1/2 mile trail to the B&B Light Keepers House and the on to the Lighthouse.
Beautiful kinda foggy day. Both places were closed but the view was fantastic!

Heceta Head lighthouse is beautiful and very much worth the stop. There is a $5 free which is paid through a credit card only kiosk. (Master card and Visa) You're given a ticket which must be displayed on your vehicle's dash.
You then begin the very easy hike to the lighthouse with several information stands along the way. The lighthouse itself is very enchanting. We went on a cloudy day that allowed us to see the functioning light. They do not allow you to go up to the light; however, you can go inside. The employees are very knowledgeable and friendly. They told us about the lighthouse in such a way the kiddos listened happily.
There is a gift shop with plenty of wonderful souvenirs to choose from as well as a beach that is absolutely beautiful.
We highly recommend stopping by the lighthouse on your journey along the Oregon coast.

This is a very nice stop along the 101. Along with the lighthouse there is a very nice beach area below a large bridge. Very picturesque and beautiful. There is a $5 day use parking fee. It's a 15 minute hike to the lighthouse. Although the park is open until 9 who knows when the lighthouse itself closes. The gift shop closes at 6 but the light house closed before that since we had arrived before then. The beach is a busy place but most people have cleared out by late afternoon. There is also a creek that drains in to the ocean at this place. There are a handful of picnic benches around the parking lots of you want to picnic.

We spent one night here and it was absolutely perfect! The staff was so welcoming when we arrive. The wine and cheese the first night was so nice. The 7 course chef made breakfast was delicious and all fresh and the veggies and herbs are grown on site. The best part was the sound of the waves all night long. I totally recommend this place! I will definitely return.

Walked the trail up to the lighthouse with my partner and a couple friends. I was enchanted by the place and definitely would recommend. We got really lucky that the timing worked out for parking. The lot is small and the demand seemed pretty high. When we left, there was a huge line. It seems getting there before 11 AM helped us but even then we pulled into the last available spot. Parking was $5.
The views were gorgeous with the trail itself rather easy to walk. It was a rewarding experience. They have a nice little gift shop as well.

Very nice park and trail leading up to the light house! The grounds are very well kept and there is a gift shop half way up to the light house! Unfortunately we didn’t see the ghost that supposedly haunts the house 👻👻

Fairly long hike up hill but worth it. Friendly and knowledgeable volunteers. You can't go up in the tower but you can visit inside the base. Stunning views at ground level. You do have to pay $5 to park by using a kiosk. Gift shop was great and they also have snacks and drinks for purchase as well.

After years of admiring this lighthouse from afar, we finally took the walk out to see it and the views from the path. Very cool history and great rock formations below.

Great place to stop and stretch your legs on the way up and down the coast. It's about a half a mile hike up to the lighthouse from the parking lot with a stop at the gift shop about halfway up the trail .

Be sure to make it to the lighthouse before 3 pm as the doors to the lighthouse itself closes. It's a half mile walk from the parking lot to the lighthouse. Please know it's uneven ground. Trek lightly. Beautiful views. Bathrooms are always a long wait, if you have to go, go before you visit.

Great little beach under a cool bridge next to a river and below the lighthouse. Go for the waves, birds and sealions. Stay for the views and the great walk through the woods up to the light house.

From the parking lot to the lighthouse, go up along the Trail and there is another trail from the lighthouse to the top of the edinous. It was so good to go for a walk with my dog, and there was a beach right in front of the parking lot, so it was good to play ball. Fee area of $5.00 for parking. A good place to take a break on a winding drive. If you're in a hurry, you can finish the tour in 30 minutes and look around here and there in about an hour. The bridge from the beach was also very good to take pictures. It's a place worth more than $5.00 parking. fee ( annual pass $30.00 two year $50.00 for all of state park of Oregon )

A five dollar parking fee gets you a beautiful beach, and a great walk to see the lighthouse and Bed & Breakfast. Gorgeous views for pictures. Don't miss this stop if you're traveling near Florence. There could be a shortage of parking. I would recommend going early or later in the day.

Cool site
You can park (<15min) and view
Or
Can park and take ~0.5mi trail down to it, pay 5$ at the fee station
Would imagine it is more active with high tide

Just a 1/2 mile walk down. It’s not a super easy walk but not horrible either. Not just for tge young and fit. I’m a chubby 56 year old woman, and it just took me longer, both up and down. Wear good grippy shoes because the ground is uneven once you are on the rocks and off the stairs. They warn you not to get too close, do you don’t get swept in. There are tide pools but they seemed too close to the water which seemed too unpredictable for my comfort.

Great place to stop along the 101. UNFORTUNATELY, we went at a pretty bad time. Seen recommendations to go at various times, but we went at low-ish tide, and there were not that many cool rushes of water. Our recommendation would be to go at incoming high tide. Probably an hour or two before tide is at its highest.

This was a huge highlight of my trip. I absolutely loved the Devil’s Churn located on the Pacific Ocean. It was fascinating and I loved watching it. Even though it looked dangerous if you accidentally fell in. I talked to a local woman while I was there, she told me it was calm the day I was there. She said that sometimes the water would splash all the way up to the highest point of observation.
Located in Yachats, Oregon, The Drift Inn Hotel and Restaurant offers a laid-back atmosphere with comfortable rooms, some featuring ocean views or shared bathrooms. The on-site bar and restaurant provide a casual dining experience for guests of all ages, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. With its family-friendly environment and live music events, it's a popular choice among visitors exploring the central Oregon coast. Nearby attractions include the Alsea River and Alsea Bay in Waldport for fishing enthusiasts.
Oh my goodness, hands down the best place to eat on the Coast. The menu is huge and so extremely diverse. We ordered so much food and shared it. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. We even had kids with us who are not fans of seafood and they were very pleased with what they ordered. A must...absolutely a must if you are visiting. The town itself is awesome too. So many gems around from coffee shops to dining to shopping!!! I will definitely make a trip here to eat anytime I visit the Coast!!!!

Very cozy, relaxing, quite elegant dining ambience, with live music! Good service.
The crab cakes were very tasty. Mushroom and sausage pizza was a bit thick in cheese for our flavor. Cesar salad was prepared right. I liked their homemade lemonade.
Live music from a gentleman playing guitar in a well set stage added relaxing vibe to the dining experience.
Without reservation, we had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated. But the hotel’s gift shop right at the entrance hallway could help make your wait time go by fast.

We ate at the restaurant after a lengthy wait. However, after the wait, we truly enjoyed ourselves. The heated patio was an awesome place to sit! Loved the design. Our server was delightful and on point. He cheered everyone up around him. Everyone in the section was talking about his energy. "Right on!" Food was delicious!

I really liked my Caribbean cache, so many different varieties of seafood in it! I had to take a bug box to go and had another 2 meals.
The mom’s potpie was delicious, tasted like cottage food in an old town. Home feeling flavor.
Would like to come back and try other things too!

We ate here twice this week. The first time had a limited menu due to a kitchen issue but had fish and chips which were great, and a shrimp cocktail but the shrimp were a tad flabby. Went back later in the week and shared crab cakes and calamari both of which were great but calamari, best I’ve ever had! Simple but interesting salad. Look forward to a return visit. Prices and portions were good!

It was great! We went to the restaurant (I recommend getting there early. The wait times can get long during the school holidays.) Great food, dishes for every pallette with gluten free and vegan options. Great service. The wait staff made my kids, my boyfriend, and I feel welcome and once seated we never had to wait long before being checked on. The Decor was awesome, too. Great little coastal place to eat and vibe. 10/10

We LOVED our meal here! Fantastic vibe: we loved the decor, the eccentric history of the place, and then a talented blues musician playing live music in the corner. This restaurant offers a surprisingly high number of gluten free options, including the crab cakes - you only get two, but they are meaty and delish! My partner had a halibut burger, happy to note the generous slab of halibut (no skimping on the seafood, we love that). Also steamed clams, oyster shooters, and then chocolate mousse for dinner. Servers were friendly, prompt, and really helpful in our menu decisions. 10/10 would recommend!

We ate at the Drift and it was absolutely fantastic! They have a beautiful, outdoor space that is dog friendly. But the highlight is the gluten free food. We had the gluten free fish and chips and gluten free crab cakes. Everything is fresh, excellent quality and homemade. Even the amazing sauces are made in house. They also have perfect cocktails. The prices are good, the food is delicious and the service was lovely. This is a must stop on the Oregon Coast.

The food was delicious, however the service was not up to standard. For a 20% gratuity automatically in the check, you’d expect better service, however, unfortunately it’ll be 3 business days before you get a waitress to come over to your table. It was, with no exaggeration, 20 minutes to get water, 40 minutes to get our food, and 25 minutes to get our check AFTER we requested it, not including wait time to get the waitress to come and ask if we want the check.
Food and decor was good though!

The cutest little restaurant, such a beautiful property. Lots of decor and interesting things to look at. Very busy place. Food was good, price was steep but most places like this are. The sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked and crispy. Burger was massive, with fresh avocado and lettuce. My only complaint is how long it took. We had reservations so we were seated quickly, but it took a long time for anyone to come and take our orders, and a long time for our food. Waitress only asked about drinks once and we all could have used some more water or refills. Mandatory 20% tip.

This was our first time here and it was busy! But our wait was less than 10 minutes then we were seated outside in the garden area. 80° day on the 6th of October! They boast quite an interesting, organic, menu. Our meal was excellent in taste, quality and plated up attractively. In my opinion our food was a 10. The atmosphere a 10. Our waiter I rate a 3 as they took our order, brought our meal but never saw them again . I had to personally go find our waiter to pay our bill as we waited quite some time for it. The crowd had dispersed by then. But the Huge Issue I am against is the Drift Inn has now put into place a Standard 20% Gratuity on All bills automatically. Many restaurants have adopted this practice now-( not all ) and I don't agree/believe or support it ! We willingly are exceptional tippers unless the food/service is horrible. I worked in food service for years so I totally understand tipping but do not force this on me. Which is exactly why I will not return here unless they stop the Automatic Gratuity practice.

My husband and I stopped here for breakfast on our way to the Redwoods. The place is quaint, the food mediocre but the service needed work. Not horrible, just needed work. Three times my husband was asked (twice by the same server) if he wanted more coffee. I asked for a little more syrup for my waffle, never seen her again 😆.
Then to top off the morning we elected to reduce the tip but was charged a $7.00 tip anyway. Geesh

Words cannot describe how amazing this place is. We came here after a recommendation from a local. We had a very short wait to be seated on a busy Saturday night. We immediately loved the atmosphere and especially the live music. Our server, Jordan, was THE BEST! Genuinely friendly and attentive and when there was a small hiccup with availability on a menu item he immediately made it right. The service was also incredibly efficient given how busy they were. The food was out of this world. Crab ravioli was on point and my steak was perfectly cooked. The desserts were phenomenal as well! We had such a fantastic experience at dinner that we came back for breakfast. They again knocked it out of the park with the service (I forgot our servers name ) and food! The Driftwood crepes are a must!

The eating at the Drift Inn was outstanding! I usually don't rate this high but the whole out-to-dinner experience at the Drift Inn was awesome. Really can't say enough. Lewis was our waiter and he was superb. He suggested great drinks for wife and I based on a couple of our criteria. He really kept close tabs on us without being intrusive. Very good sense of humor too. The other staff members were on it! Constantly serving and clearing tables. The atmosphere and ambience was rustic with background soft music from guitarist. But I can't say enough about the food....the taste, freshness, quality, and even the portions. It was all very tasty, especially for the price. Very reasonable. We'll absolutely return during our next trip. Highly rated!

Stopped by for a very late (1:30-2pm) lunch on New Years Day. Staff was very friendly, wait was only 10min (looks like we missed a big rush). Food was delicious and I loved the atmosphere.
If you’re familiar with McMenamins (most are in the Portland area), this has a similar feel with the quirky local art and revival of older/historical buildings, but the food and service are great at Drift Inn! Can’t wait to come back and stay in the lodgings and see the live music
Felt very welcoming and staff was very kind

We were lucky to be seated in the outdoor (heated) garden, at the cafe-height seats, around and over the Koi pond. So peaceful! The live music was relaxing, and just right for the chill vibe. We had the salmon special (walnut crusted) and crab ravioli. Unbelievably good... I will drive over from Eugene just to have this ravioli again! The staff was welcoming and well trained. We appreciated that the tip was included in the total, guaranteeing that all the staff will be better paid for their fine service. We'll be back soon! [Please excuse the messy bowl with the ravioli... we ate quite a bit before I remembered to take a photo. ] Oh... the bread and side salads were amazing as well. No complaints here! 👌

Ordered 2 open face breakfast sandwiches (sausage and vegetarian). Sandwiches were good: good size, nice flavor of eggs, sausage, and cheese (more than one egg maybe?). Replaced the meat with extra cheese without an extra cost. Potatoes were nicely cooked (crispy outside, soft inside), good portion. Biscuits had grill marks that were over toasted / burnt which I found unpleasant. One of the sandwiches came wrapped in paper which stuck to the cheese. The other sandwich did not come wrapped in paper. We got 1 pepper and 4 salt packets. There was an automatic 20% tip added to the to go order, which I found strange (I worked in a restaurant as a waitress). They said it was for the kitchen and asked for an additional tip for the waitress (interesting since I found her to be a bit unfriendly). The waitress at the bar seemed put upon that no one was available to take our to go order. She asked another staff person if the to go person was there to take our order and the woman responded no. The to go order seemed to be an inconvenience for her.

Wow. This place is absolutely fantastic for food. My mother and I went here for lunch and I ended up getting a dish called The Artist, and they got Mom's Pot Pie. Both dishes were divine. Ended up going here again the next night for dinner with my mom, my sister and her husband and got the butternut ravioli and again, it was delicious. Service was amazing and on top of everything and super friendly. 11/10 will recommend to friends and come here again.

On a spur of the moment trip to Yachats, we landed here for a late lunch early dinner. There was a bit of a wait, but I am so glad we stayed!!
Seafood galore, tacos, burgers, and even vegetarian and vegan options. There is something for everyone here!
The restaurant is beautiful, cozy and eclectic, and not very noisy for as open and large as it is. There's also outdoor patio seating which looked nice.
The staff were all kind, fun to talk to, accommodating, and generally just appeared to enjoy working there even though they were really busy.
Our order/experience:
My grandmother, who said she wasn't hungry yet, ordered steamed clams off of the appetizer menu for something small. She was surprised to get a giant bowl filled with clams that were so good, she was suddenly hungry and ate every last bite.
My husband had the pork belly tacos and the meat was perfectly cooked - tender, smokey, and all around mouth watering. There was a slight issue with his order initially, but the staff was awesome and everything was fixed quickly.
I ordered the Lucy Blue Burger: blue cheese, bacon jam(!!), and apple slices on a burger and I'm a sucker for bacon and blue cheese. When I ordered, the waitress asked if I wanted it with beef, chicken, halibut, steak, or a vegetarian option. I hadn't read that far on the menu so was surprised by the options. I'm not normally thrilled about grilled chicken on a sandwich or burger but (seeing my surprise) the waitress said she likes it with the chicken, so I went for it. I have no regrets. The chicken was tender and moist and lent well to the bacon jam and blue cheese. SO GOOD!!

The food was good, but the service was NOT. They automatically add 20% to everything, including takeout - which would be fine, except the waitress acted like she was getting a good tip either way! She was terrible. She didn't come back after taking our order - no refills, not to see how the food was, to see if we needed anything, and not even to see if we wanted dessert! We sat for a long time after being done eating, waiting to order dessert. We spoke to her as she walked past a couple of times and she ignored us!
She took so long to return to our table that I just said forget it or we will never get out of here! I overheard her telling the table next to us that one time someone complained about the 20% automatic tip. In a very sarcastic voice she said "oh no! Someone didn't get a refill on their coffee! Gasp!"
This is the problem with an automatic tip. I am a good tipper, and don't mind having it added - with the option to alter it if needed. She didn't even let us see the bill! Just told me the total and told me that includes the 20% service charge.
I don't think I would return and didn't recommend the restaurant. The service FAR overshadowed the quality of the food.

I didn’t need a big dinner so I ordered the crab cakes and jalapeño poppers. The cakes were child and the bacon was not hardly cooked on the poppers. I sent them both back as it was very disappointing.
Cakes came back tepid… parts of the bacon was cooked. I was so dissatisfied that I didn’t finish either.
$50 later….. I left unsatisfied.
I didn’t even purchase my swag because I was offended to spend that much money on virtually nothing.
Our waitress was nice, but didn’t offer any discount or other options for me.
EDIT: A 20% gratuity was automatically added to my bill. No choice!
I was so put off I forgot to take a photo of my food, so I included the receipt.
And, the seafood chowder my friend ordered was also tepid and not up to par.
Also, I ordered a double Jameson neat but clearly was served a single. 😩

Food was good enough, veggies were a bit under done for my liking. But still good.
Scored by coming during the Celtic(?) festival where they had extended hours and live music!

We came here on a very busy holiday weekend, and had a 45 minute wait for a table. Thankfully there were some open bar seats!
I had the chicken romesco pasta and it was better than any Italian restaurants I've been to in the past year. We also tried a potato pizza which was surprisingly good. The Sticky Stigma was a refreshing take on a tiki drink.
Despite the large crowds the service was still fast and friendly and the food and drinks were great! Looking forward to stopping here again on my next trip along the coast.

I guess sometimes there is a wait to get in, but we were lucky. We came at 7:30 pm, no wait. Sat in their beautiful patio. It is so cozy and warm. Wooden tables, greenery, palm fans, heaters, and live music in the back ground. The owners are gluten-free, so they have a delicious blend of their own homemade breads, dressing, and tartar sauce. The best I have ever had. Their fish and chicken batter is the bomb!. We sharded the Crabs cakes, which were so very yummy. And the Hailbit fish and chips. Definitely enough for 2 to share. Comes with a little green salad. The fish was devoured! So good. They make their own desserts, so many to choose from. We went with the Rum Chocolate Moose, so velvety smooth and rich. What a wonderful birthday to me! We actually came back for lunch the next, on our way back to Washington.
King Estate Winery is a charming organic vineyard that offers carefully sourced American cuisine in a relaxed and well-polished bistro. It is known to be one of the favorite wineries in the United States, popular for its exquisite wines that have been appreciated by many for over ten years. The vineyard boasts picturesque views and great service, making it perfect for intimate dinners or groups alike.
Took my mom there to celebrate her 65th birthday, my 44th birthday, & my 22nd year anniversary with my company. Had an amazing time there back in mid September around harvest time. We caught a couple to do a tour with & were invited to join them after our flight tasting. We enjoyed that as well as the blueberry cheesecake which was by far the very best cheesecake that we had which led my mother to purchasing another to go. It was that good! Hope to be able to return sometime in the future. But want to give a very special thank you to Jodi & Lily for one of the most unforgettable experiences we'll always remember. I wish more of your products made it to San Antonio, Texas.

They get one star because the grounds are beautiful and a beautiful location. I made reservations for a Father’s Day brunch, a day later I received a text message, not a phone call, telling me the kitchen is going through a re-organization, and the menu is greatly reduced. I called the reservation line to get a better understanding of the problem. I was told in not so many words that the kitchen staff had quit unexpectedly, and they don’t have the staff to fulfill the menu. I decided to keep the reservation since they still had salads and a charcuterie board available.
I scheduled the earliest reservation available and noticed the restaurant filling up during our time there. Before we were halfway done with our meal, our waitress came to our table and told us that other reservations were scheduled in our table and we had to leave in 20 minutes. That was the most disrespectful and absurd thing our waitress could have said to us. I seriously contemplated not leaving her a tip at all. My parents were appalled on Father’s Day, and so was I. Then she came to our table with the check and a box and was very adamant about getting us out the door as soon as possible. I didn’t even get to finish my wine. How disrespectful. I can very easily come to King Estates to enjoy the grounds and the view and not spend a single dime at that place ever again. The wines are not even that good. They are over priced and don’t have a full selection. No Chardonnays or ports whatsoever. Only dry bitter wines that reflect their dry bitter service.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the King Estate Winery for brunch, and I must say it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. Nestled atop a hill, the winery offers stunning panoramic views that are truly a sight to behold on clear days.
The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the delectable food. The salad was delightful with its inclusion of unusual edible flowers, adding a touch of elegance and visual appeal. The fried potatoes served alongside had a crispy outer layer that gave way to moist insides.
The dining environment and tasting room exudes an air of sophistication, with its elegant hardwood and possibly rock floor. The provision of well-stocked hygiene products in the bathroom was a thoughtful touch. The free electric car chargers were a welcome surprise, making it very convenient for those, like us, who drive electric vehicles.
In conclusion, my experience at King Estate Winery was unforgettable. From the breathtaking views to the delicious food, and the impeccable cleanliness throughout the establishment, it was evident that this winery goes above and beyond to provide an exceptional experience for its guests.

She was not only attentive but extremely knowledgeable about the wine, history, and especially the biodynamic practices. We will definitely be coming back and telling our friends about our experience too.

This may be the most beautiful winery we ever visited. The wine selection was great. Very knowledgeable staff (from wine tasting to dinner experience). The food was exceptional. We visited a Micheline star restaurant just few days before and was not even close to King. The duck for two dish was superb. Very classy winery. We will be back.

King Estate Winery is my favorite in the United States. My husband and I have been fans of King Estate wine for more than ten years so when we had the chance to go for brunch and wine tasting, we were so excited to go. Boy, the vineyard, food, and wines were amazing! Go early Wednesday - Sunday, if possible, so that you can be there when there aren't so many people. However, check their website for opening times before you go. I'll be back next year!

This is best experience I’ve had at a restaurant and/or winery. I go out quite often and I was dazzled by the quality of the food and attentiveness of the staff. Audie was so sweet and friendly, her recommendations and pairings were top notch. I will be back and I will be recommending King Estate to all of my clients. Ask for Audie!!

The Pinot noir is unmistakably delicious and never fails to please. The restaurant is more of a cheeseboard, past years demonstrated an excellent 5 star menu, sadly no more. At our visit the 55.00 charcuterie board included Parmesan (!), Brie and a lovely smoked cheese. They ran out of small delicious apricot and herb bread if the day. I wonder what’s happened here with food? It is a beautiful drive and the gardens are lovely

Outstanding hospitality and experience here. Erin with the farming, Mel with the vineyard, Nick with the production, Eric in the tasting were so generous with their time and knowledge showing us around. Truly made the experience! Shout out to Nick for a truly great time showing us around the facilities too! Right after harvest too, can’t thank him enough for taking the time.

The online reservation process was straightforward so we ventured out to enjoy a wine tasting experience for the first time, in a long time. The wines were good, the snacks were delicious and the views were outstanding. We did not order a meal in the restaurant but we will be back. Definitely a place to check out!!
Go check it out! 5 stars! If you like Cottage Grove it's definitely worth the visit!! Such a cool place, and shares a space with the Gold Mining Museum for double fun! Just wish it was open more often.

Great fair, one of the largest fairs I've been too. Lots of music and homemade art and food. Bring plenty of cash, because stuff can get expensive and almost no one takes card or mobile payments.

Fantastic Fair. If you volunteer you can camp there and see the lights paid attendees never see. The trees are alive with light sculptures.

My wife and I have not been for over 30 years, so it was time! This is the quintessential Willamette Valley experience. Dress up. Feel a good 70’s peace vibe. Accept and enjoy one another. Get healthy food. Take a sauna. Browse guild level arts and crafts. It’s a medieval village meets a much safer and cleaner Woodstock. Multiple stages from Jazz to burlesque. It’s big. If you drive, you’ll pay $15 to park. Then you’ll walk a looooong way to get through COVID stations. We did will call tickets, but the wait wasn’t bad. $40 a ticket and don’t expect cheapo items to purchase. Quality items. Most take VISA via Square.
We’ll organized and friendly staff.
Great for people watching, music, food and an overall Peace viibe.

Went to this event on Friday. Plenty of parking but a 10 minute walk to the entry gate. Lots of parking attendants and greeters at the gate. Site is filled with trees which is lovely and shade could be found, but not much seating except on the ground. Food was available & reasonably priced for a fair or event. No water available for purchase, but there were water fountains to fill water bottles. Toilet facilities were available, but were pit toilets and the smell was overpowering. It was easy to find the toilets because the smell reached out a good 20 feet from the stalls. There were plenty of sanitation workers to keep the stalls clear of paper & other debris. The rules posted at the entry gate stated "no alcohol, no marijuana," but there were pot clouds throughout the site. There were well-marked recycling stations throughout the venue, which was very helpful and the site was kept as litter-free as possible. Venue rules state that "genitals must be covered" but basically seemed to mean from the waist down, and "covers" might be an over exaggeration in many cases. Music was good and lots to see.
Melanie Marrow — Google review
Everyone raves about this… but IMO, it’s overpriced because all there really is to do is shop and not as many food options as I thought. Super kid friendly… but zero alcohol. Just double the price of what I’d typically pay for the same type of experience elsewhere.
The Eugene Saturday market is a weekly event held in a park where over 200 local artisans showcase their unique wares. There are food vendors and live music to enjoy as well. The market opens at 9:00 AM and closes at 6:00 PM only on Saturdays, hence its name. Visitors can stroll around the market to see different artists' works, including handmade plates and necklaces.
The Eugene Saturday market just added a pavilion which is nice even when it rains. In spring time the market has a great section of plant starts from local farms. We picked up tomatoes and peppers.
If you like hot sauce check out Fox Farms they have mild to wild sauces with a wide variety of flavors and it’s made locally.
Ryan Ebert — Google review
It is nice, they have lots of food and options to choose from and lots of things to buy like plates necklaces and much more. The reason I didn't give it a 5 star was because there is almost no water places, there is one but that a one has been there for years, so I don't drink out of it. The people set up at 9:00 AM and close at 6:00PM only on Saturdays thought. That's why its called Saturday Market.

Construction is happening! All the roads around the blocks here at Saturday Market are blocked off, have been, and it sucks! I think the roads are be repaved. 8th avenue was pretty bad, I guess. Also, the deck in front of the courthouse has been completely blocked from anyone attempting to get out of the heat and do their beloved Saturday Market socializing ritual. Also, horrible! 😞 I miss seeing my friends and enjoying the drum circle without getting pushed by sales tables or run over by shoppers!! 😭 Also, it seems that sales tables are allowed to use park benches for their wares and/or storage/personal use, literally NO WHERE TO SIT BUT DOG GRASS. Finally, NO DOGS ALLOWED! This is a recent development and in speaking to a local resident, very unpopular, confusing, and upsetting. I wondered if it was for safety due to the construction, but as far as the resident that I spoke to, this is a permanent decision that's made a significant group of people very frustrated. Expensive.

Love seeing all the local artists congregated in such a close vaccinity. The few years I e frequented the the Saturday market even for as different reasons as it has been. Has never been disappointing. There is literally something to interest everyone and anyone. An absolute must do if in Eugene/ Springfield on a Saturday.

Creswell Bakery at Eugene Saturday Market has the best selection of tasty fresh-baked goodies. Bread, Cookies, and Muffins are all affordable and delicious. My favorite treat is the Oregon Hazelnut Bar which tastes out of this world. I appreciate the frequent Buyer Bread Club Card because when you buy six loaves, the seventh one is free. Indoor shopping is wonderful especially when it is cold. Plenty of parking. Credit cards are accepted.

The Owen Rose Garden is a lovely park featuring stunning floral displays, picnic areas, biking and pedestrian paths, and a performance space. This serene garden also boasts the oldest cherry tree in Oregon, which dates back to the mid-1800s when it was planted by Eugene Skinner. Visitors can enjoy free access to this rose garden and take in the beautiful flowers throughout June as well as other times of year.
June was a great time of year to go there. Roses were still blooming.
There is a bathroom close by and the rose garden is free to the public.
Also it is home to the oldest cherry tree in Oregon, Owen Cherry Tree.
It is believed this tree was planted in the mid 1800’s by Eugene Skinner, founder of the City of Eugene in 1853. The tree is within the boundaries of Skinner’s 1846 land claim.

Owen Botanical Garden is a jewel nestled in Eugene. The Owen Heritage Cherry Tree is spectacular when it is in full bloom. The variety of Roses is phenomenal, and you will be impressed by the sheer beauty of this special spot. The aromatherapy benefits while you walk the paths are a bonus. The Owen Rose garden was lovely what a treat. Uncle Jessie and Aunt Krissy took us in a walk through there today and it was very pleasant. There were so many different colors and varieties of roses it was unreal! Simply beautifully kept grounds, great accessible walkways, and even though we snagged the last parking spot available it did not feel crowded in the garden as walkways were wide and people kept their distance. I did notice some sketchily parked vans/vehicles, which I assume people were living in, sprinkled about the parking lot, which made the experience feel tarnished as the homeless population in this area can be a bit aggressive and dangerous. But overall it was an amazing place to visit and I would recommend! Just make sure to lock your vehicle and keep your kids close!

This was a beautiful stop, we where nicely surprised with how many people where visiting so early in the morning.
On the side of caution just make sure your car is locked as homeless sleeping under bench and another allowing dog to run around with no leash .

Amazing care and cleanliness of this park.
June is one of the best months to visit; almost all the garden is fully blooming and all the flowers are opened and vibrant.
Great for photography sessions.
There are benches located around the park, as well as restrooms.
No fee to enter or park.
Many picnic areas for group reunions, proposals, wedding pics, etc.
The neighborhood around is ok, some of the streets are not the best; but the park itself is beautiful, clean, great condition and safe.
We didn’t find any homeless people, but the area before getting there showed that there were some.

One of the best rose gardens I've ever been to. The roses are fragrant and beautiful and the layout is awesome. Nice casual walk through the gardens without a lot of people...great for pictures. Oh, Owen Rose Garden, you bloomed your way into my heart and made me feel like a botanical connoisseur! Now, let's dive into this bloomin' awesome review.
First off, let me just say that even though not all the roses were in season, it didn't dampen my spirits one bit. This garden was a sight to behold! It was like stepping into a fragrant wonderland where colors and scents danced together in perfect harmony. I found myself surrounded by nature's artwork, and oh boy, it was a feast for the eyes and nose!
Now, here's where the comedic plot twist comes in. Picture this: I'm strolling through this serene garden, feeling all zen and at peace with the world when suddenly, out of nowhere, a heated bike argument breaks out! Yep, you heard it right. Apparently, those folks on their two-wheeled contraptions couldn't agree on whose turn it was to ring the bell. Talk about a thorny situation in a rose garden!
But fear not, dear readers, for even amidst the bike-fueled drama, Owens Rose Garden remained a tranquil haven. The beauty of the flowers and the gentle rustling of leaves managed to calm my soul, despite the occasional bike-induced chaos. It was like Mother Nature herself was reminding me to stop and smell the roses, while also giving me a good laugh.
So, if you're in need of some floral therapy and a sprinkle of unexpected amusement, Owens Rose Garden is the place to be. Just remember to keep an eye out for those drama-seeking bicyclists. Five stars? Absolutely! Owens Rose Garden, you've shown me that even in the midst of floral tranquility, life can throw in a dash of comedy. Keep blooming and keep the bike battles entertaining!
Hayward Field is a historic sports stadium that houses the annual Prefontaine Classic and serves as the home venue of the Oregon Ducks. Recently renovated, it boasts an impressive makeover from its old design with all seats offering great views of the events below. However, visitors should be aware of potential hazards such as steep stairs and lack of coverage for some seats leading to warm temperatures during certain times of day.
The "historic" Hayward Field is gone. The new version is Amazing! Easy access, seats are comfortable. You can be right there at track level with runners a few feet away.

New Hayward is a new makeover from the old venue. If you're a fan coming to watch. Pay attention to the time of day, the overhang doesn't cover all the seats and it gets quite warm. Also the stairs are quite steep, careful on your way up and down. It's easy to miss your step if you're not paying attention. All the seats have great views of all the action below.

Great while your seat is in the shade, but if you're in the sun, even on a cooler day, you can suffer a severe sunburn, even with a hat and 50 SPF sunscreen. I would be very careful with children as I saw several sunburned babies.
We were there for the world championship track and field, and that event was amazing.

Oregon Track and Field Preview Meet tonight. First the Women's 10,000 and the Men's. The rest of the events are tomorrow. My first time in the Bizarro Too Much Money Flowing Into Oregon Sports World. Weird Arena. Do what. My biggest complaint is the dumbing down of the fans by the exclusionary seating, viewing, entrance/exit, the nonstop announcer talking at track and field fans like we wandered in from some fraternal order of a corn hole championship drink off. Nonstop music. How idiotic and bored do you think we are. Stop distracting us with the constant barrage of noise. Doubtful I will be back. I ran on this track as an 8 year old. Quarter Mile Cinder track. Yes, change is inevitable. I have been to countless meets here with various configurations of track surface and stadium's add ons. Always enjoyed myself. The Track as presented here is the antithesis of the jumbotron film celebrating Eugene Community supporting running and track. Wire your $&#@ and get it straight. The people who volunteer here are top notch. Aces High. I thank you.

Krystal Drummond — Google review
The heart of track and field beats in Eugene. The stadium has undergone a major renovation and while it's easy to miss the historic Hayward Field, the magic of this place is here to stay.
The fans in this stadium deeply understand the sport and their energy elevates every event from the longest distance race to the javelin. The athletes love it and consistently comment on the incredible crowds. It's the reason why so many legendary performances have happened here.
Sit in sections X12-X19 for great views of the first curve and the high jump. Sit in sections X01-X10 to cheer on the back straight, watch the field implements go sailing, or marvel at the pole vault. In sections 129-136 you'll have a front row seats to runners kicking in the last 200 meters. This also seems to be the spot where the most excited fans and athletes/coaches sit. Sections X20-X28 span the home straight so it's the best spot to sit for the triple jump, the long jump, the high hurdles, and the finish line. Beware that the sections on the northeast side from the over hang will be in the direct sun until late in the evening and aren't for the faint of heart on a hot day. Even still, in this one of a kind stadium is built just for athletics there isn't a bad seat in the house.

The University of Oregon is a public research school established in 1876, renowned for its impressive sports and education programs. The campus boasts attractive landscaping and immaculate buildings, including restrooms that are regularly sanitized to comply with COVID-19 regulations. Approximately 95% of the students appear to be modest and grounded based on first impressions. The area surrounding the university is secure and hygienic for deliveries during weekdays but bustling with life on weekends when classes are in session.
Beautiful landscaping around very clean buildings inside and out. Even the restrooms. Definitely covid-19 compliant. 95% of the kids I run across there are pretty down to earth and humble or at least seem to be by first impression. I do a lot of deliveries in that area and it's safe and clean but on the weekends during the semesters is not so much quiet but definitely alive. Helps this middle age guy I feel young.

William L. Finley National Wildlife Refuge is a wetland habitat that offers hiking and animal-watching opportunities. During the winter, interior areas are closed to allow Canada geese to thrive. The roads around the refuge may be dusty but they are well-maintained and there are places for visitors to pull over.
I'm really glad I discovered this place the other weekend with my family. It has so much to explore and enjoy, and the wildlife opportunities are amazing. There are a lot of wintering birds that frequent here at this time, and I've been grabbing my camera and heading out there almost every morning for a week. Eagles, herons, egrets, and of course ducks and geese are common. Love it.

Great series of trails through varied habitats. A great place to see birds year round
Damon Tighe — Google review
Absolutely stunning views and so much wildlife. I especially enjoyed seeing the egrets and wooly bears.
I would definitely classify the paths as more of nature walks instead of hikes, and therefore very easy to navigate with little to no hills.
***If you're visiting the reserve in autumn, be sure to take extra caution and watch your step for uneven ground on the trails that might be covered by leaves.

Nice drive around the loop and there are places to pull over. Road are a bit dusty as they are mostly gravel but well maintained. Lots of birds and a few mammals. Visitor center is currently closed but usually has bathrooms, nice talks and tiny gift shop. Trees around the building often have woodpeckers and phoebes in fall. We saw (April) quail, bluebirds, herons, egrets, Canada geese, osprey, green-wing teal, shovelers, pintails, mallards, ring necked ducks, coots and a nutria. Lots of trails and a couple areas for picnicking. Also saw pelicans in fall.

This place is so cool! I came here to "watch" the eclipse; I caught a glimpse for about 2 seconds! Darn weather. But afterwards, I stayed in the refuge to check it out. I walked the Campell Marsh/Hoffman loop and enjoyed it! The boardwalks are in really good condition. I also visited the little store they've got and it was so cute! The whole area around it was recently renovated and is a great hub (with flush toilets!). Lastly, I did the Woodpecker Loop hike and was glad I did: short, simple, but quite the looker! I look forward to visiting here a lot more in the future.

It's a great place for long walk, flower, wildlife and bird watch! The trails are very well maintained. Clean bathroom and a small store in the visitor center area.
Oregon State University is a research-oriented public educational institution that was established in 1868. The university has garnered fame for its prominent programs in engineering and science, which are widely recognized by the community. In recent times, the campus has grown exponentially with significant new constructions and refurbishments that have transformed it into a modern institution of higher learning. Despite its growth, the campus still boasts of its old-world charm and walkable pathways, making it easy to navigate with ample parking spaces available.
Awesome campus! Old world charm , walkable and even easy parking. Well integrated into the city. Common area buildings were immaculate and well maintained. Everyone we met was relaxed and enjoyed being there.

The standard for college are so low. Overpriced over rated. They don’t even give you the decency of having free Parking. There are some amazing teachers but they are hard to find here. The majority don’t teach, have their ta’s do the majority of the work, and never answer emails. If the teacher is bad the majority of the class fails and you wasted time and 2000 dollars. This university is failing me and so many others. It seems the only thing they focus on is trying to include minorities, which is great and everything but they lack actually teaching.

Loudest place in Oregon. Constant construction. Helicopters flying over. Planes all the time. Library is a mess and full of sleeping kids playing candy crush. Stuff isn't on the shelf like it's suppose too. I should of gone to UO.

Unfortunately, the student account services admin staff are extremely rude and not helpful. Both times I’ve called to ask a question, the lady who answers acts very irritated. Not friendly at all. We are used to the more courteous approach the private schools offer, I guess. Customer Service is not OSU’s strong suit.

This campus has grown a lot since I attended here just 20 years ago. Some major new buildings and renovations, I would have thought would require much more time to complete than the two decades since I once studied, strolled, and declared a new major every term it seemed trying to find what was right for me. I like this campus, and it can be ominously quiet at night.

The museum is a fantastic place to learn local history for the Mid-Willamette Valley. The volunteers are knowledgeable, dedicated, and kind. The artifacts are fascinating. Take a walk past the Halsey Bank or study a map of the indigenous Calapooia prehistoric mounds. You can even watch Stand By Me in the little theater!

This is a fabulous, jam-packed museum with a very helpful and informative staff. For years, we saw the sign for this museum from the I5 and never had time to stop in. Today, we had the time and stopped in. We’re glad we did and we’ll likely be back. Did you know Stand By Me was filmed here? They’re developing an exhibit that showcases this. Can’t wait to see it!

Wonderful ladies who work here- they are very knowledgeable about the history of Linn County and the museum is so fun! I love the interactive exhibits like loading an Oregon trail wagon or dressing up like the people from the time! I also really liked their caboose exhibit. I think having the boxcars included in the layout of the museum is clever and unique, and the sweatshirt I got was both affordable and super comfortable!

This museum packs a huge punch into a relatively small space. Located in the railroad depot building dating back to the late 19th century, a large portion of the museum is in train cars - including the theater.
Dress up in authentic pioneer clothing and take a picture with the actual covered wagon the Drinkard family used to cross the frontier in 1865 - one of only 3 known actual Oregon Trail wagons still in existence.
They also have extensive artifacts from the pioneer days - blacksmithing equipment, and replica General store, doctors office, bank, and more. You'll even see hair art! 🫨 You have to see it to believe it!
The volunteers are very kind and knowledgeable. Admission is free - they accept donations (and I highly suggest supporting them!) but they will not ask you to donate.

Excellent attraction! Very clean, well designed and a beautiful carousel. Good food for kids as well! Burgers are good. Each carousel is hand crafted which is incredible. Our tour guide Ray helped us out and took us into the basement and showed us very antique carousel animals. We even got to see carvers in action! Here’s a tip; if you want to see people carving, Don’t go on Sundays! They don’t work on Sundays. They’re all volunteers!

My family had a wonderful time at the Carousel 🎠 The staff was friendly and courteous. The carousel was beautiful inside and out. We got 10 free ride bracelets with our party room rental. The kids loved riding all the different beautiful carousel animals and creatures. They have a little cafe with decent food and prices. They have a cute little gift shop with lots of fun stuff. They also have a guided tour downstairs of how they make the carousel animals. It was pretty cool to see how they are made. We had a wonderful experience. We will definitely be going back.

We had a lot of fun visiting the historic carousel in Albany. Rides were $2 and we were able to buy tokens in the gift shop. They did have a card minimum of $5, so we bought 3 rides for our daughter, who loved every ride. Bring cash if you don’t want multiple rides, but it’s so much fun picking out a different animal each time. The conductor was friendly and informative. There was plenty of free parking available as well. We spent about 45 minutes here before going to lunch in town.

I believe the price is the same or better than the Salem Riverfront one, but I don't remember for certain. It was $2/ride and the last ride of the day is free for everyone! Woo-hoo!
I didn't double check, but it looks like it had at least 4 sit down booths including one with a wheelchair restraint!
The prices for snacks was reasonable-ish considering how badly these places will usually set you back and there were two party rooms and plenty of seating without being grossly overcrowded like the one in Salem.
I definitely like it better than Salem's!
And don't forget to check these things out in the basement!

Brought my family to the Carousel in Albany and was totally pleased! Well stocked retail store with a lot of history of the Albany Carousel. Very clean lobby and restrooms, friendly staff with amazing customer service. Perfect place to host birthday parties and or any type of group get together. They also offer full tours of the museum. (highly recommend) Ride tokens are 2$ each and offers a cafe near the carousel. Thank you for a great experience!!

Not only is the carousel itself gorgeous, but the staff of volunteers truly bring its story and history to life! Visitors can take a guided tour of their museum which showcases a breathtaking collection of antique Dentzel carousel animals, and a few from other famous makers as well as visit the carving area to see the critters still being carved and finally upstairs to visit the painting area. I loved every minute of it! The gift shop is lovely, well laid out with quite a few unique carousel themed items including those specially made for the carousel itself. And the carousel - it is absolute art! So many different critters to ride, a working catch the ring machine, and an old school band machine for the music. If you love carousels this is a must do!

Tokens are $2 per person per ride. Was a great opportunity to get out of the sun, grab a little bit of a/c and enjoy some amazing fun. The staff were somewhat grumpy the moment something didn't go the way they said. However, safety being paramount, we still had a blast!

This place was so cool! My daughter and I had a blast riding the carousel and seeing the museum. It has a cute little gift shop and a few food items to eat at tables surrounding the carousel. The line to get on was long, but it moved quickly. You can purchase tokens in advance in the gift shop for next time too! Makes great gifts if you live in the area.

What a neat experience! Community volunteers carve the whimsical carousel figures with such intricacy. Everyone was so kind, going out of their way to show us all the fun details. The museum was interesting, but even better was hearing the passion of the various docents and volunteers. Our 9-month-old was even fascinated, especially by the Wurlitzer band machine and getting to ride the carousel. Fun for the whole family!

Lovely little museum, gift shop and operational carousel. The ice cream was wonderful and quite good. The “museum” portion of it was downstairs by elevator and led by a docent. It was very small (the “museum part” of the museum), but as a museum goer who has also worked for museums in Los Angeles, I can’t complain too much about the lackluster talk and exhibit because it was by donation and essentially free for those who did not donate. The draw is the carousel itself. It’s less of a museum and more of a carousel with historic/work-in-progress pieces on display. But still a lovely little attraction and worth a visit if you’re in town. The carousel 🎠 itself is very impressive.

What a delightful experience! I remember years ago when the artists came together with an idea and ran with it, creating this amazing addition to the community we know today. I was lucky enough to witness the wood being chiseled and the paint bringing the creations to life when I was very young. Now several years later being able to experience the finish product.. very impressive. Good job to everyone who made this dream come to fruition. 🎠

On August 18, 2023 at 1:59pm my family got kicked out of The Albany Historic Carousel and Museum by a very rude and condescending woman named Peggy. She told us that they have a "one bark policy" here and told us we had to leave immediately. She was extremely demeaning and very condescending when she told us to leave with our Hearing Service Dog Mocha. We didn't argue, my fiance, whose PTSD was triggered by her rude abruptness just said, "okay" and we left. As we were waiting for our friends to show up outside in the hot sun (they live in Lebanon, Oregon and were driving to meet up with us), an elderly man who was going into the place said that it was okay for us to go inside with our Hearing Service Dog Mocha. Embarrassed, I politely told him that we couldn't go inside because my fiance's Hearing Service Dog Mocha barked one time and we were told we had to leave the premises because of their "one bark policy". He just said, "Yes, we have a one bark policy here." I have never heard of anything so asinine and ridiculous in my whole life. First of all, if they are going to have a stupid rule such as the "one bark policy", don't you think that they should at least warn you, but NO! Nothing!! No warning at all. There were absolutely no postings on the doors nor the windows. Where were the warnings for us of this "one bark policy"? We were never approached at point in time by anyone informing us of this secret "one bark policy". It would have been nice to be warned of this so-called "one bark policy" by any of the workers there or by some sort of notice stuck onto the doors or windows so we would know the potential of us getting thrown out of there if our dog barked once. Our Hearing Service Dog Mocha was not making a scene, she was not disturbing anyone, nor did she bark with anyone else around us at the time of the "crime". There's cameras mounted there as proof that no one was around us at the time of the "crime", so she did not frighten anyone near us. Our Service Dog Mocha did a single bark and just for that we were approached by Peggy and the one bark got us booted out. Mocha didn't bark incessantly or at anyone. She wasn't menacing nor was she threatening any other guests. Sometimes she barks to alert her handler of things, it is part of her job. Other times, she just barks because she is a dog. She has been a part of our family for a year and a half and is a great Hearing Service Dog. As I said, we were meeting friends there and we were standing outside in the hot sun with our Service Dog and they asked us why we weren't inside. Feeling embarrassed, we told them we got told we had to leave the premises because our dog barked one time when no one was around us. They were shocked to say the least. So, now, in my oh so humble opinion, I will never recommend this place to any of my friends to visit EVER! Most of my friends are Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing and have Hearing Service Dogs that provide a service, and if their dog happens to bark one time like ours did, they made the trip there for NOTHING!! I would not recommend this place ever to anyone who may have a Service Dog of any sort because if they bark one time, you're out! It is such a shame because it truly was a beautiful place to visit, the wonderful carousel was beautifully decorated. The place and many of the other workers were friendly and accommodating, a worker even told us that we could bring Mocha on the carousel. The woman in the gift shop was so sweet and kind as my daughter made her souvenir coin, her first one, she even checked it to see if it printed right because if it didn't she would give her one that was. The guy in the wheelchair who was cleaning a table was friendly and we chatted a bit. The others were very nice, but I am forever tainted by the awful treatment and I'd have to say that this experience leaves a horrendous bad taste in my mouth. Other than that, I would recommend this place only to people who don't have Service Animals because one little peep from your dog and I'm pretty sure that Peggy will come storm-trooping in and out you go!!

I'm visiting from Illinois and have heard a lot about this carousel from my family. So while driving from Seattle to Roseburg I decided to stop and check it out.... I'm so glad I did!!
The history behind this place is amazing, and the details on everyone of the carousel animals blows my mind. Each one is hand carved and hand painted. They have information on them in the museum and there is also another room where you can see people painting the new animals.
It's inexpensive to ride, and the entire place is run by volunteers.
I highly recommend stopping and checking it out.
One bad thing is parking around here is horrible, so take your time circling the streets to find a spot and be patient.

This is the second time we visited the Historic Carousel & Museum and once again, we had the most marvelous time! We live in Portland (OR) and made a special trip to Albany just to visit the museum again. The last time we went (about 3-4 years ago) we got to see many animals on the carousel and got to see many still being carved. This time, the carousel was even more full of gorgeous animals! Best was we got to see the ones we saw being carved years ago, installed and working on the carousel. That was a special experience in its own!
This carousel and museum are truly the most beautiful examples of suburb craftsmanship! The animals on the carousel are absolutely exquisite! Each animal is incredibly intricate and unique! The animals, and its particular theme, is done is the most beautiful way. They are such a work of art! Each is absolutely stunning!
In addition, riding the carousel was so much fun!! I’m a young 41 (😉) and i was with my 72 yr old mother. We so enjoyed riding round and round with the music playing and everyone smiling and having a wonderful time.. it felt like being an innocent child again.. just enjoying a fun ride and feeling happy and appreciative to get to have such an unique experience.
Lastly, the staff here are SO kind! We fully enjoyed the tour and getting to see more animals being carved. The tour was very informative and made the experience even more special. Our tour guide was so friendly too! It was fascinating to learn about carousels and the history. Also the people carving were so kind! They took the time to chat with us and show us what they were doing. What wonderful people! We also REALLY appreciated the kind woman taking the tokens for the carousel. We brought our small 11lbs dog with us and not only is the carousel building pet friendly to well behaved pets but the woman taking tokens even allowed us to bring our pup on the carousel so my mother and I could ride together. Even our dog loved sitting in a gondola seat and riding round and round! The sweetest thing was that my mother got the brass ring in the ring game.. when one gets the brass ring, they get a certificate for a free ride. They usually take back the certificate when you exchange for your free ride. But, the woman heard it was my mother’s birthday and she let us keep the certificate as a memento. It may seem small to some but, it was such a kind thing for her to do and, now my mother has a special keepsake to treasure 🥰 it was the cherry on top of an incredibly lovely day!
Thanks to the Historic Carousel & Museum, and all of the lovely people there, my mother had the most wonderful birthday! It was so memorable and special! We are so grateful and appreciative! We fully look forward to visiting again soon!
I HIGHLY recommend you make a trip to Albany, OR to experience this for yourself! You will definitely not be disappointed and will walk away having a memorable time to treasure forever!
HUGE thank you to everyone who made our visit so incredibly special 💜

One of our favorite stops on I-5. Came up from Grants Pass for another break from life.
First discovered this about 13 years ago before the carousel was assembled. They were still carving the animals. Went on the private tour and heard more history. Some of the animals take almost 10 years to complete. They have a ring game that you collect rings as you circle. Find the gold ring and free ride. Always a great experience.

Easy access to the creek and 3 spectacular waterfall views. There is a lower, mid, and upper lot - each with a small picnic area and kid friendly trail access to one of the nearby falls. All of the trails link up so I'd suggest parking at the lower lot and hiking up towards Majestic Falls so your return hike will be entirely downhill. This seems like a great spot to picnic and cool off in the summer when the water is not charged from spring rains and calms down a bit. Beautiful wildflowers and native wildlife all along the trail as well. The drive out this way from Eugene is peaceful and serene.

Beautiful place, short hike from the parking lot to the upper water fall, stairs are a little steep but not too bad, my kids were able to make it with no problem!
There’s a trail that takes you through all the waterfalls /views in this area, starting from the lower parking lot (the one with bathrooms) all the way up, very worth it!
Parking was not an issue, maybe because is the beginning of the year (February) lots of open spots!
I will definitely come back to this place!

It's a steep hike, if you start at the large waterfall it's all uphill. We parked at the top by Majestic Falls, walked down to take photos, then drove to the Royal Terrace Falls- not knowing the trail was connected. But that was an easier and short hike.

Lived in Oregon 25 years and just stumbled on this precious gem of a hike. Love the elevated pathways, and the canopy of the trees. This would be a great hike in the heat of the summer as most is in the shade. It’s a little steep at times for those with limited mobility but very doable if you are fairly active. If you live in Lane or Linn county, this is a must! Free Parking and bathroom at lower parking lot (where Google maps takes you)

It's an awesome walk through the woods. Feels like you're in Ferngully! Paths are well defined and easy to walk on. There are some wicked stairs... wooden if you go one way, stone when you go the other way. So it's not for everyone... but it's worth the walk. You can take a quick walk or spend a couple hours in there, and as long as you stay on the pathways, there's no worry about getting lost. Waterfalls are a little thin in the summertime... because... it's summertime...(duh) but beautiful none the less.
There is a bathroom at the 1st parking lot only, and picnic benches at both lots and throughout the pathways. Oh... and the picture of the clovers... if you see those, try eating one! They taste like sour apples!!

I got married at Eola Hills Wine Cellars and I am shocked by the lack of professionalism. We spent well over $5000 for the venue and wine and I never once met Emily, the event coordinator. Emily was disorganized and never seemed to remember that I existed. I reached out to her each time I needed to make a payment on the venue consistent with the contract. She also did not even bother to show up to tell vendors where they were supposed to go on the property. I wasn’t expecting her to coordinate anything day of but her failure to show up resulted in numerous disputes between her staff and the bartender we hired for the event. Additionally, the taco truck we hired called me because they couldn’t get a hold of her, despite her asking me for all their contact info to reach out to the vendors, and they had no idea where to set up. Emily made numerous promises that she never followed through on. One of the other employees, Carly, also offered to press my wedding bouquet and frame it and instead she essentially took $250 from me and pressed a few flowers from the centerpiece. I have no idea what she actually did with the bouquet. When I asked her about it she blocked my number. The only two people that were decent to work with were Ciera and Meri. They however seem to be the exception in the quality of employees that work at this venue. They were the only ones that were kind and actually wanted to do their job. They did everything they could to make up for Emily’s lack of professionalism. I do not recommend this venue in any capacity.

Wow! So pleased to see your wine here in South Carolina proudly displayed! My house was 5 miles from this winery! I was a club member for a year! Coast to coast baby!

A close friend had her wedding at this venue. The event coordinator, Emily, did not even attend the actual wedding service. Guests were left scrambling to fill in the role that Emily completely neglected. No apology was given, and it was only through the grace of god that the wedding wasn’t a complete disaster. Would not recommend this venue to anyone for any reason.

Cute little winery with excellent wines at good prices! Even snuck off with one of their membership fliers because I need these in my life regularly!
Special shout out to Mary who took excellent care of us and is the only other person I know that gets migraines from apples! (Now you have written proof!)

We showed up at 5:25 on a Saturday to wine taste after driving all over trying to find it. We waited in line to put in an order for a taste. When the lady finally finished with her customer before us it was 5:31 and informed us we could no longer taste as it was illegal to serve us after 5:30 due to closing at 6pm. So because we waited patiently for her to take her sweet time with the client we were sent home. We will not be coming back and informing all our friends what a waist of time that was. Customer service was not good. So sad as my husband and I are both business owners.

Easy to get to, right off the highway. Very spacious, good for parties.
Willamette Valley Vineyards is one of the top wineries in the area, alongside other popular ones like Eyrie Vineyards and Domaine Drouhin. While some wineries offer tours, most have tasting rooms for visitors to enjoy. Visitors praise the amazing staff, great wine, and beautiful property at Willamette Valley Vineyards. The $40 per person wine tasting and tour reservations are often fully booked, but the customer service team goes out of their way to accommodate special occasions.
We've been longtime club members for years but never done a cellar tour. I brought my dearest sister from England with me for my first time, she has never been to a wine tasting. We were both impressed by our guide Brian, he was the most perfect person for our group. He had the ultimate patience with our kids and their endless questions, was cheerful and energetic enough to keep up with us. Thank you for such a perfect day.

Absolutely spectacular! An amazing experience. Since we stayed in their on-site suite, we enjoyed several days and evenings at the property. The restaurant serves outstanding food, the wines are great and the staff is first class. The Blending Experience is a must for any wine enthusiast. Plus unforgettable views. Thanks to Veronica for the truly special Blending Experience and Sandy, Jessica and Leslie in the tasting room and a special Thank You to Sara and Carol for the wonderful hospitality. Can't wait to return.

This place is beautiful! All the vineyard and also the restaurant and their suites. The food is delicious, and the ingredients are very fresh especially the mushrooms! The olive sampler was delicious but we did not like that they brought them after we already started with the main meal, and not as an appetizer. The truffle fries had excellent flavor. The pizzas are only available from Thursday to Sunday. The flight of wine tasting was good, it is the best option in order to taste more wines. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.

The place was huge and more like a restaurant than a tasting room at a winery! I’m definitely interested in coming back for pizza and wine. I wouldn’t suggest going for just a “wine tasting”. Make a reservation, otherwise you could be waiting for a while. Our tasting wasn’t super enjoyable because we had 5 different people helping us, most of which didn’t seemed thrilled to be doing so. I will say Sammy was GREAT, we wished she would have helped us the whole time. Interesting experience, not what was expected.

Father-in-law paid us in as a part-owner of this very beautiful and well laid-out vineyard complex. The tasting flights were expertly selected, and there are many ways to enjoy the scenery as you enjoy some very local wines. It was rainy and windy when we went, but the views were beautiful, the ambience was excellent, and the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Proud to be a part-owner-by-marriage of this establishment. Some construction was going on with some large tanks at the North end of the grounds, so we're looking forward to seeing the growth!

We got engaged at Willamette Valley Vineyards!!! The staff was so wonderful. We had a tasting and pizza before he popped the question out on the patio. It was so beautiful! My love picked the perfect place to propose.
PS: The chicken bacon pizza is so delicious. We enjoyed all the wine, too! Go get you some!

Great spot to catch a brunch even on a rainy Oregon day!
All is well, gets all the stars.. 5 are only for the perfect spots where all is perfect.
Bathroom cleanliness could be better, salt shaker could be more in tune (clogged), and other small details.
It’s more of 4+ stars… and almost there.
Don’t get me wrong, not trying to be too peaky, just honest to those reading reviews.
Minor details that truly show one’s quality and finesse, hardest to achieve to receive those proper 5 stars

What a spectacular view to accompany some truly exceptional wine. The two flight choices were both fantastic and we were allowed to sub out one type for another. We also enjoyed a beautifully arranged charcuterie platter that was as tasty as it appeared. Both indoor and outdoor spaces were modern and well-designed and the staff was friendly and very helpful.

Another visit in April 2024. I have visited here many times and this was the best visit because we’ve got a great guide, Quinn this time. He was very knowledgeable, attentive
and super nice. A guide makes a huge difference when you taking winery tour. (This was a combination of tour and tasting, which is a great idea) I can truly recommend him for your next winery tour at this place.
I have nothing but good things to say about this place because I am one of the owners of there shares. Hahaha. Seriously, this is one of the nicest winery in Oregon. It is grand. Serves a full menu of food. Wines are fantastic. I highly recommend this winery if you are visiting willamette valley.

Honestly, one of the best overall winery experiences I’ve had in Oregon thus far. Great wine, amazing views, delicious food, tons of outdoor seating overlooking the vines and lots of indoor seating as well. I used my Oregon wine pass to receive two free flights (otherwise $15/$20 each), and we ordered the burger and a salmon dinner (for under $50 total!). My only suggestion for improvement would be a better setup for the wine room that would allow for quicker service. At some points we were waiting for what felt like 10-15 minutes simply to get our next tasting. Otherwise, a perfect experience! I will 110% be back, with many friends/visitors in tow!

My wife and I visited this vineyard Sunday 8/27/23 while in Willamette Valley and our guide, Max, made this the most memorable of the vineyards that we got to see.
From great views to immersive stories and pathways through the production facility, Max led an in-depth and very fun experience for us. We recommend that everyone looking to tour the Willamette area try to make time for this vineyard specifically.

Beautiful building with spectacular views. We went for a tasting and lunch and couldn’t have been happier with our experience. Priscila was our server and she had great knowledge of the wines and was very personable while offering excellent service. I had the burger, which was fantastic, and my wife had a salad with steak. We were on a time crunch so we didn’t have the opportunity to try their house made ice creams but our experience was so good we know we’ll be back soon to enjoy the ice cream and some more stellar wines.

I go here for the view and atmosphere. Usually, I don't purchase anything, but the staff are always welcoming and don't mind. The times I have ordered food, it arrives briskly and without delay. The cheese plates are beautiful and professional. They also have a variety of drinks, not just wine. You can get coffee, which includes refills, as well as seltzer water. I would highly recommend, with the mindset that this is a charming vineyard.

Kat has now been our wine hostess twice and she is AMAZING! Very kind, knowledgeable about the wine, and goes above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Her recommendations for food were top notch, she made our experience feel special and individualized. The wine and food were delicious! We had the seasonal flights, the poblano dip and chips, the radacchio chicken salad was phenomenal and the beef stew was great too! The view was incredible as the sun set! We went at 4:30 pm so we got the honor to see the sun set.

My girlfriend and I came here to celebrate our 8 year anniversary and it was an amazing experience that I highly recommend. Amazing staff, great wine and gorgeous property.
Their $40 per person wine tasting and tour reservations were full and I called their customer service day of going in effort to be fit in for our special occasion and they notified on-site staff to do what they could. Concierge staff promptly seated us in their beautiful lobby as we showed up and went to get a tour ambassador right away.
Brian P. gave us our tour and tasting and I seriously have to stress how amazing he is! As a young couple who know very little about wines he made the experience so fun, interesting and entertaining. The cheese board we got with the tour was delicious and the wine was so great we left with 4 bottles!

Enchanted Forest is a well-established amusement park that offers a variety of classic rides and storybook-inspired attractions for children. The park caters primarily to younger visitors since some areas are small and require crawling. However, the pizza served at the park may not meet everyone's expectations, as it has a school-like flavor. The limited options for snacks and drinks were also noted by some visitors. Nonetheless, Enchanted Forest features several enjoyable areas such as the haunted house.
I have lived in Eugene for 24 years and had never been to Enchanted Forest until today. My husband and I took my son for the first time, he is 2.5 and he absolutely LOVED it! The storybook houses, the slides, the beautiful Oregon backdrop, the rides and the staff were all wonderful! It is kinda spending, but in my opinion, worth every penny! I highly, highly recommend for any kiddo 2+! We will most definitely be back very soon!

We had so much fun with our 6 year old. This place is worth every dime you spend and every mile you drive. It will take all day to enjoy your visit if you want to e place every attraction and ride every ride. There are lots of hills to walk up and down so take your cane if you need one. It's totally wheelchair accessible. There are gifts for everyone and food. It's not overpriced at all in my opinion. You can tell the owner put his heart and soul into Enchanted Forest. Thank you sir!!

Cute little place!
On our drive back to California we decided to stop w/our 2 year old.
It’s a walking fairy-tale tour at first, with a western town and some rides and activities.
2y/o loved the story/fairy tale tour and ran all around!
Cute little place for a fun quick stop.
It appears you can take food in. So it would be a cute half day to take a picnic/food and get the kids out!
Wish we lived closer but it was fun!
$22 is the adult ticket price and was a bit steep considering it’s just a walking thing but it was still fun.

This is easily my favorite theme park. The shady trees make even the hottest days bearable, the attractions are quirky and cute, and it’s fun for both kids and adults alike.
S X — Google review
There are a lot of hands-on play for little ones. There are no all-day passes, so expect to pay $3.00 -$5.00 per ride, per person. However, you can bring your own food and food prices at the park are reasonable, So it balances out.
I came here when I was 5 and now my grandson comes here. It's cool to take pictures of him in front of the same attractions that I did as a child. For me, it brings up a sense of nostalgia and I enjoy coming because I remember my father and I playing on the witch slide, the old lady in the shoe slide, and other attractions that are still present. Now, I get to make new memories with my grandchild. I do wish they had a annual pass so that I could come more often.
Another positive is thst this park is family-owned and you are supporting a local business. They seem to make sure that things are reasonably priced. It's well worth it if you have little kids.
There's a Western Village, an Old English Village, castles, and plenty of photo opportunities. There are a few rides and attractions that would be fun for teenagers, but they may get bored quickly. Teenagers may not have such a great time, save for the unique pictures they could take in front of a variety of locations. So, if your teenager is big into selfies and picture taking, a few basic rides, and a haunted house they may enjoy it for a little while.
Me, personality, I love coming here with my grandkids.

It has gotten kinda expensive. Some parts are run down but it’s got a fun nostalgic vibe. Needs more drinking fountains. I only saw one. Kinda chilly since it’s in the forest so wear a jacket.

Overall it’s a great place to take kids mostly since half of the places to see are too small for adults to crawl and do all the times of moving haha . The pizza was school pizza flavor in the sense of would be delicious but it wasn’t up there . Wish they had more options like teas and pretzels . Half of the stores were closed when we went . Did enjoy the theme and areas like the haunted house . Tickets are up there in price so save money before hand because for two adults and a kid your already up to like $70 . That doesn’t include rides you want to get on . Enjoy it though since it’s rare to have places open now a days.

Always a great place to take the family. The parking lot was full but they had an overflow lot down the stairs street with a shuttle bus that would drop you off right in front. There is an entrance fee, once your inside, you will have to purchase tickets to go on rides. Very nostalgic for those who grew up going there. Feels good to support a local family run amusement park.

Absolutely love this place. This is an adventure and must see for any age. It is family owned and has a great history. Walk through the park and see cement sculptures of Alice and the wonderland, snow white, Hansel and gretle, etc. Some are animated, some have neon waters. It really is cute.

My boyfriend and I came here to check it out it gave me memories to some of my favorite old stories. I really liked how everything was set up and it was very popular. Bring walking shoes and there is food in the park. Dress light and careful with your heads taller adults. A lot of parking but can get packed during summers.

Beautiful location, on a hill in the woods. So it’s protected from the heat!!!
The windy ways with angle make it hard for toddlers to walk around. My and my friends little took a dive on the pavement. Our toddlers were 2,5, our oldest 5 years. They’ve had the perfect age for most rides. It was disappointing you had to pay for every single ride also when you HAD to get in the ride with your little one even tho they would’ve been perfectly fine without you. So entry+snacks+ rides ends up in a pretty spendy day. So definitely nothing we will be doing every year and especially not more than once since it really cuts into a budget. But nevertheless it’s a beautiful park with lots of love to the detail. Coming from Germany visiting amusement parks was a thing k grew up with. But you pay admission and the parks are filled with rides you can get in all day long as many times as you want. So this was a disappointment. We will definitely do our amusement park visit in Germany next year and are excited! If you ever get close to Oldenburg there’s k e right at the ocean!!!! Amazing vied and a day full of fun!!!!

I have came here since I was a child. Love this place. Looks like it's been updated with new paint, some new signage, more food places and everything was working. One of the best trips to here yet! So much fun! Even as adults I had as much fun as I did when I was a child! 💯 Worth the price to go play all day! Lots of fairy tales, rides and slides.

I went to mock what I expected to be poorly-made,yet kitschy Disney knock-offs in someone's backyard, only to be stunned by a delightful theme park that truly punches above its weight.
The place is compact, allowing you to experience all of it — live shows and rides included — in just a day. And that's not a downside. Shake off the Disney and big amusement park trauma, and revel in a day filled with quirky attractions, from Pirate sing-a-longs to genuinely thrilling log flume rides. During my visit, the lines moved swiftly, especially in the early hours.
The food is astonishingly affordable for theme park fare. In fact, it's a steal even by regular fast-food standards. While it may not be gourmet, it delivers exactly what you'd hope for, with a few pleasant surprises thrown in, like a barbecue joint and an ice cream shop offering dole whip.
In addition to admission, you so have to pay extra for thrill rides (Haunted house, alpine coaster, log flume water ride, and an interactive dragon shooting ride), it is worth it.
Yes, there are some odd (ugly), offbeat, and occasionally malfunctioning sculptures and animatronics. But there's such inherent charm and whimsy in it all that it's easy to overlook. I walked in a snarky skeptic, only to walk out proudly donning a souvenir t-shirt and wearing an incredulous smile.
Highly recommended.
A perfect score of 10/10 enchantments.

The biggest thing I would suggest is wait until your kiddos are old enough to walk the park. Bring backpacks with whatever food/drink you want for the day. Do not bring your stroller, or your wagon. You won't be able to get around inside of hardly any of the attractions. You'd be able to walk the normal paths but you'll be stuck to the main trails and unable to go inside the attractions. I own a Wonderfold wagon and we went to take it into the first castle and we couldn't even make it inside. If you have a small baby, I suggest wearing them. :)
There are no more ride bracelets so rides cost $3 -$5 per person per ride.
I have two toddlers I took with me and was hopeful we could ride the MTN ride but no one was able to give me an answer as to if they both could ride with me. I was told id have to purchase tickets, wait in line and ask the operator. HOWEVER tickets are refundable.
My kids loved the slides! They wore themselves out running up and down the slides ❤️

Prices have gone up drastically... almost pricing out low income familiesto be able to visit :( also they have gotten rid of all there water fountains and there is no more pwnny machine. Other than that, this place gives me sooo much childhood nostalgia I will always love it. I really think water fountians for people coming with waterbottles is a must!!! Plus lots of kids it is imporant to stay hydrated.

Had a wonderful time for my son’s birthday! We bought our tickets in advance and were compensated with 5 ride tickets per entry since two rides were out of commission. We usually pack lunches but decided to go rather last minute so ended up buying on site but we were pleasantly surprised at the reasonable prices!! We will be back again.

Every worker was so kind and accommodating I was there with young kids and disabled elderly everyone made us feel so welcome and were so helpful they used a go cart to transport a disabled family member around. The park is amazing for young kids especially that 5 to 10 range. I came in hopeful because it was my kids first amusement park and they blew me away everyone I was with loved it.

I love this place and would fight to keep it open as long as possible. Robert Tofty worked hard and it's hand crafted with love . With that being said, you also can't charge guests $10 admission and $5 per ride. Going as a child when it was $2 per ride or a ride wristband was the best part. Won't be going again this year or in the future because it's ridiculous to run you $20 for 4 rides that last under 5 minute's per ride . They are pricing out low income families being in Turner that's not sustainable.

I was really surprised by this under reported gem of a theme park. My 5 year old had a blast. There is some fun and spooky decor (not necessarily intentionally spooky) very retro storybook land but my kids still enjoyed it. There were plenty of open concession stands, prices were affordable for food and rides. Tons of parking. Lots of uphill walking but not a problem for us. Staff were on top of making sure the park wasn’t dirty almost constantly sweeping and taking out the trash.

Awesome amusement park for a young family. Very fun and young kids themed amusement park. Our 4 and 6 year old boys had an absolute blast.
Admission works on a paid admission and then tickets per ride. Each ticket is $1, but any leftover tickets can be returned when you're done for the day for a refund.
Rides range from 3 to 5 tickets each.
Very affordable drinks, snacks, and food. Incredibly clean for such a well visited location.
Super friendly staff.
Here are some highlights of some of the rides;
The Haunted House creeped our little guys out a bit in a good, fun way, lol. Wasn't some lame carnival style one. This was lengthy with some imagination put into it.
The Bobsled was a very fun rollercoaster for the whole family.
The Challenge of Mondor was a fun monster shooting ride that the kids wanted to do twice.
Panning for treasure was only 1 ticket each, and participants get to take home a bag of "treasure".
Highly recommend for a younger family!
Salem's Riverfront Carousel is a non-profit organization that features an indoor carousel with over 40 hand-carved horses. The attraction opened in 2001 and relies on volunteers to run smoothly, providing an affordable opportunity for kids to have fun riding the ponies. The staff is known for being kind and passionate about creating a welcoming environment for visitors. In addition to the carousel, there is a cute shop and fresh popcorn vendor available on site.
How can you not like this place? The staff are kind, the kids love it, and they run on volunteers, so you feel like they really love this place and want to just see kids having fun. Buy the big punch card and it's like a buck a ride, and that's so well priced that anyone can afford it- which is their whole goal. We love bringing our kid to the park, then letting her ride the ponies before coming home. Thanks to all the folks who put love and detail into the carving, the staffing, the cleaning- you guys are amazing!

We loved being able to visit the Salem Carousel downtown! 🎠 It's super convenient for families and accessible for those with disabilities. It's right beside the waterfront park so make a day out of it! The gift shop is attached to the carousel and you can buy your tokens to ride here. The price is perfect! The kiddos love dropping their tokens in the box before they ride. The carousel is super cute, clean, and fun! All the animals are so creative and bright. My little one had a hard time choosing her favorite for each ride. If you have a toddler or younger kiddo you can ride beside for free.
Masks required here and there is hand sanitizer available. The staff does a great job of keeping things here clean and they have a good routine to sanitize between each ride. Great place to visit if you're traveling with kids or anyone who's young at heart. Highly recommend. I love to support this place! ❤

The experience at the Carousel itself was wonderful! My son and I had so much fun. However, the shop manager was rude to me, I don't want to say it was "discrimination" as I was dressed "relaxed/sloppy".... But that's what it felt like from treatment, tone and verbal communication. I still purchased the toy for my son but I will not be returning to buy anything other than carousel tickets. It's a shame. I probably would have purchased more things if the customer service was different 🤷🏼♀️. The carousel operator, food stand and the rest of the environment was amazing.

Silver Falls State Park is Oregon's largest state park and offers a variety of outdoor activities including camping, swimming, picnicking, cycling, and horseback riding. The main attraction is the Trail of Ten Falls Loop which is an easy 8-mile loop that leads visitors through a basalt canyon filled with thick forests teeming with ferns, mosses and wildflowers. This serene park features ten waterfalls along the dog-friendly trail, as well as campsites and cabins for overnight stays.
Amazing, probably the most popular park n hiking trails in the states. Its tons of hiking trails with different lengths from easy to hard. Well maintain n managed. You could see lots of falls n great view.
You need state lark permit which could be bought online for a year or from kiosk in parking lots for $5 a day.
Even weekdays they are good amount of people all around the park

The best 9 miles I ever hiked. Covered all the trails. Bring good hiking shoes because it is quiet muddy, the trail is not at all difficult to do.
I love the north water fall and the south water fall.
The map is so confusing, it never tells you where you are. Better to download the hiking map to help you in forest because there is no service in that area. Park in the main parking lot.
Nidhi Jha — Google review
Absolutely loved this hike. I've always wanted to go behind a waterfall. I think the lower south falls was my favorite, you're behind the fall and pretty close to the water too.
Ten waterfalls all in 1 hike! But give yourself a lot of time, I only managed to see 8/10 waterfalls. I think it took me about 3 hours I forget how long exactly.
And definitely go early, when I got back to the car around 12:30 there were a lot of cars waiting with no parking spaces available.
I went at the end of May and the waterfalls were still a wonderful sight to see, but I wonder if I went earlier in the year the water flow would be higher? Some of them didn't seem that big but I'm not sure if that's just how they normally are.
All in all, a great hike, not too hard in difficulty, but long in length, I love that it's a loop trail so you don't have to turn back around at the end.
Park is kept very clean, I think $5 fee to park there.

The trail from the South entrance was absolutely beautiful. The first two waterfalls are a must-see. Make sure to take water with you if you plan to hike the entire loop, or even half of it. Be careful for loose rock and wet slippery places. There are some steps, and the trail gets fairly steep in spots, both up and down.

I cannot describe what a wonderful experience I had here. My boyfriend and I were on a road trip to the coast and this was our first stop. We did the 10 Waterfalls hike and I was amazed during every second of it. The fact that we were able to walk behind so many of them just made me feel like I could really experience it. And all the moss everywhere was a dream. The trail is good with only 1 steep downhill and then steps to get back up or visa versa depending on how you hike it. The bathrooms were clean and even warm. They had many different kinds of buildings to explore, we didn't but you can easily spend a whole day there. 10/10 recommend to anyone who loves waterfalls.

Such a cool place for a family hike! Was recommended by a friend and definitely don't regret a single second we spent here. Highly recommend going on the hike that at least takes you through the 7 falls if you are up for a 5+ mile hike. Not too strenuous either.

On a Friday morning we decided to drive an hour from Portland and go for a “little” hike. We are non-hikers so the 2.8 mile loop was plenty of a hike for us. Easy, beautiful hike down to see the lower south falls but the switchbacks coming back up to the parking lot were brutal. We had to take several breaks. It felt good to complete the hike and we definitely would do it again though!

I planned to stop here just to see one waterfall and a short hike... 6 hours later, I didn't want to leave. It's truly stunning y'all. For those with mobility issues, it will be a challenge to get down to the waterfalls. The paths are fairly steep but well maintained. I've never been behind a waterfall and that was the coolest. They have an awesome shop and lodge too. Even cabins for rent! Can't wait to go back.

Beautiful hiking area. Trails are moderate, wide and well kept. 10 waterfalls of various sizes and length to see and experience. A few you can walk behind the water which is fun. Lots of picnic areas so bring a lunch. 3 different parking lots. The south lot is the largest.

Very well maintained and easy to hike park. The waterfalls are breathtaking. It turned out to be a rainy and cold day, so we were limited on time but I would love to come back and do the full hike to see all ten waterfalls!

Wonderful! Less crowded than similar areas. We did the beginning of Canyon Trail from South Fall and then switched to Maple Ridge Trail. Great short hike with two big waterfalls. Will definitely bring more time when I visit again.

What an awesome day! Checked out all 10 waterfalls and the hike was not too bad and took about 4 hrs. Make sure to wear proper shoes or bring an extra pair of socks if you wear running/cross training shoes. Gets pretty wet on the trail especially when you go behind some of the waterfalls. It was dope!

This place is a hikers dream. 10 falls in a 9 mile loop is simply heaven. I visited on 07-04-22. The terrain was shaded, cool, wet and extremely fun to hike. There was a slight elevation at some parts and some stairs throughout. There were a few bridges along the trail as well. Definitely wear water shoes for the hike and keep a spare pair in the car for later. Try wearing quick dry clothes.
Start by paying $5 parking fee at the kiosks.
Take snacks and water.
Take a hiking stick mostly for safety.
Be considerate of others while taking pics. Don't hog the trail and let other pass by safely.
Know your comfort level if you decide to get under the falls or in the water at all. Safety can't get to you fast enough once you are around double falls.
Keep your phone charged to capture the beautiful moments.
Take your time and enjoy to the fullest.

A wonderful place! There’s a lot of trails for everyone to enjoy, beautiful sights, plentiful and well-maintained bathrooms, picnic tables, and water for swimming. Was here for a family reunion and it lived up to everything we hoped. We reserved a pavilion and it had all the room we needed to prepare lunch and such. There were a lot of people on the trails, but it wasn’t overwhelmingly crowded.

Didn't know what to expect. First time here. As busy as it gets for a Sunday, there was still parking available. With cool temperatures during the late afternoon, the lush nature and breathtaking waterfalls set the mood for the hike. The sound and streams of the waterfalls made it a very pleasant experience. The cafe and nature store in the park is a great visit. Felt the burn on the inclines, although challenging, it was manageable. There's bike trails and some paved paths. Great viewpoints and pathways. Will definitely return for the full loop.

I love this park as much as I love the Columbia River Gorge. You can see 10 waterfalls and some you can walk behind. Some are easy to spot from the parking areas but most waterfalls require a hike. There are stairs on the trail from South Falls to Lower South Falls so beware of that too!

Great place to see waterfalls, and take guests from out of town. Easy parking and there are clean bathrooms and a Cafe and gift shop. Not all trails are dog friendly but they have maps to show you which ones are. Awesome place to breathe in fresh air and explore

This was such a fun experience. Such a peaceful and beautiful place to visit. Plenty to do and see. You can walk as much as you want or relax. You may want to watch out for the smelly 4-legged variety! The waterfall is beautiful. Lots of history to look at. Great for a short walk or spend the whole day here.

We had such an amazing time hiking and enjoying the beautiful nature and especially their waterfalls! I can’t wait to visit them again in a few months! We started our hike around 9am and made it back after 4pm. It was a beautiful day and well worth the 6 hour drive.
If you enjoy hiking, and the outdoors, this is for you.

Love the trail of 10 falls in spring. Waterfalls are roaring and the whole trail is lush green and not steep. Highly recommend!

Hiking here is like a dream! You get to see such beautiful waterfalls and the trails are good for cardio and just taking in nature as you go. We got lucky to see snow and ice covered vegetation! Wear good hiking shoes when going in the winter ice can be hidden really well on some of the trails and cause you to slip.

We love this forest park. Very well maintain trails, easy to hike and easy to navigate. Beautiful waterfalls. Coming here in the fall is a must in order to see the fall foliage. Lots of good foraging spots if you’re into foraging. Come after a good rain and your guaranteed to find lots of mushrooms. (Bring a field guide!) Lots of parking in the parking lot. You will have to pay for a Oregon park permit or a day pass. (EV charging available). There’s also a nice bike only trail for you bikers. You’ll drive through a little farming town with fresh eggs for sell everywhere!

This place is magnificent! The south falls are a short walk from the parking and are easy to access at the viewing point. You can walk on a short trail behind the falls, but this is quite steep.
Guided tours of one of Frank Lloyd Wright's Usonian houses, which can also be rented for events.
It's definitely worth seeing. A more inexpensive version of Frank Lloyd Wright's work. Usonian house. It still fits the land the way all of his houses were meant too.
Justine Miraldi — Google review
JUST MAKE SURE TO RESERVE BEFOREHAND!!
Stunning house!
Well kept.
The tour was very informative and prompt. Our tour guide was Kathryn and she was very passionate and knowledgeable about the house.
Worth the $20 we paid.
We almost didn’t make a reservation and that probably would have ruined the whole experience as you are not allowed to go into the house without a ticket and tickets are limited!!!
10/10 would recommend to family and friends.

I didn't get the opportunity to take the tour but the grounds are lovely and accessible.

The Gordon House is the only Frank Lloyd Wright designed building in Oregon. A Mid Century modern gem of the Willamette valley.
Originally commissioned by middle-class farmers Ed & Evelyn Gordon, the 3 bed, 3 bath Usonian home was completed in 1964 and was originally located in Wilsonville, OR (it was deconstructed and moved to Silverton in 2000). Usonian is a term Wright used to describe a philosophy of living in harmony with the land, every design element is intentionally made to make you feel one with nature. For many Usonian houses, FLW included a wood cutout window pattern unique to each design in perforated boards known as fretwork. The cedar plywood fretwork, floor to ceiling windows and retro kitchen were some of my favorite details of this charming home. The house is on the Historic register and operates as a museum where you pay $20pp for a 45-minute guideed tour. When I visited, our docent was knowledgeable and very personable.

Definitely take the tour! Only FLW home in OR.
Get the scoop on the history, design, building and moving! You can actually sit on the couch - 15° - you'll understand the reference when you tour 😉
Our guide, Judith, was knowledgeable, friendly, and generous with attention and time.

been to several FLW buildings and i’d have to say this was one of my favorite tours. the word that kept coming to mind for me was “intentional” and i know FLW was a control freak, unconventional, and in a lot of ways impractical, but this house felt practical, beautiful, and more than anything - intentional.
the tour guide was knowledgeable and the space itself was really beautiful.
i wish there was a little more care given to the grounds and signage throughout, but would highly recommend regardless.
worth the drive from portland!! so see it.

An amazing example of FLW Usonian architecture style with knowledge guides, great history, and a story of the Gordon family. Whether you are an architecture buff or just a passing interest, come take a look!

I did not get to take the tour. The house looks amazing from the outside. Peeking into the windows, the house looks amazing inside. It's amazing to think that these house designs we're considered economical. Today they seem so forward & modern.

If you are a fan of Frank Lloyd Wright this tour is wonderful. The Gordon House is restored well, and you get a full tour and history of the home. It had to be moved 20 miles to it's current location to avoid demolition, and it is so good to see it survive. The tour must be booked in advance, so plan ahead. But it's only $20, so worth the cost.

If you are interested in architecture, history, or both this would be a fun stop for you. Personally, I discovered this unique gem when taking photo's for a wedding. It is an intimate house, full of light, and fascinating design. There is a path to walk around the house should you wish to view it from all angles and very friendly staff will give you a tour (at least that's what I encountered). As a venue I would explain this is for smaller groups and spring/summer events. If you were to book it for the winter your group would have to be quite intimate because it's cold to open all the doors.

Beautiful, relocated Frank Lloyd Wright designed home. Wonderful 1 hr long tour with short video. Book tour online as tour groups are of a very limited size to be certain of gaining access to tour! Highly recommend!!!!
Cozy rooms with fireplaces in a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed hotel set in a botanical garden.
The visit was enjoyable. The gardens are beautiful. The restrooms were clean and stocked. The well maintained paths made it easy to enjoy each garden. (Folks with mobility challenges may have issues in some areas of the garden.) However, a tram is available during the busy season. Our grandson enjoyed the kids garden. It was nice to see that a garden was specifically designed for dogs. We will definitely be back!

I’m someone who’s typically not super interested in nature, but the Oregon garden was absolutely incredible!! The place is gorgeous and has so much variety of nature, while still feeling authentic and not forced. Great place to be alone in your thoughts.

Beautiful garden experience. This facility can be walked on foot or experienced via tram for mobility limited folks or do both as the tram ride guides you through the gardens and narrates some of the history and unique features of the gardens you might miss other wise. We did both with the tram ride first and went back and strolled the gardens to take more time seeing the features. Definitely worth the drive to Silverton, Oregon. Also of note take your time driving through town lots of well maintained Victorian style homes.

This place is like a Shangri-La, a hidden utopia. Every turn takes you to a new garden. See if you can find the blue snake hunting for tree frogs in the pond in my first picture. The other four pictures were from last summer. That tells you how much we love this place.
Plus they got the best fireworks show on July the 4th eve.

The Gardens have come such a long way from its early days. I finally bought a membership to support its continued growth and expansion. The grounds are relaxing and beautiful, and I love that dogs are welcome. There is a small nursery onsite that sells great plants at minimal cost, and a lovely gift shop to browse. I'm a little concerned about the reed canary grass that has taken over the wetlands. Eliminating it will be costly and time-consuming but eventually ecologically necessary. Regardless, the Gardens are a great place to take visiting friends and family or to spend a day on your own. Highly recommended.

We visited the Oregon Garden at the beginning of September for a special homeschool day event. The gardens were beautiful! There were many different flowers, plants, and water features to see. It was a lovely walk. The kids had a lot of fun - there were frogs and caterpillars to find, a big pirate ship to play on, a dinosaur fossil sand pit to dig in, an underground tunnel to crawl through, some cute chickens to see... And more :) the staff were all friendly and very kind as well! We spent over 4 hours there. Lots of spaces to have a picnic with your family and friends.

I'm a school bus driver by trade but a gardener at heart. I drove the honor students up last Tuesday and couldn't resist going in. Just stepping foot inside the gates and my soul opened up and I was in heaven. Its early spring still so not everything is in full bloom but thats perfectly okay. Everything I saw was beyond words. If your into earth and sun and moon or just into beautiful flowers this place is where its at. I left feeling centered and grounded and loved. I can't recommend this place enough. I bought an annual membership because I found my new sanctuary.

Lovely well maintained garden and the colors of the flowers make the garden more beautiful. Butterflies hover around the flowers. Saw lots of bees too. One can take the tram too if one does not want to walk around the garden. I was really mesmerized after seeing so many types of beautiful trees and flowers. It is a must visit.

This is a beautiful place that we didn't really know about until a month ago. The size of the gardens rivals anything in a big city, and is extremely well laid out. The garden art and sculptures were lovely. The only thing I was disappointed in was the secret garden. It was not well maintained and almost felt "forgotten". There is a large tram that will take you everywhere if you can't or don't want to walk. We will definitely come back with our Mom, and try to see it at Christmas too.

Such an awesome place, even in the early spring things are blooming and the kids had a blast.

I love this garden. Half hour tram ride will show highlights of the garden. Tram is $4 per person. Free for kids. Reciprocal memberships are available starting at $50.00, meaning there are more than 300 gardens and arboretums in the country that accept your membership as a "paid in full" entry. The garden is separate from the resort and cannot be accessed from the hotel. The Visitor Center shop has wonderful plants, gifts, and souvenirs and closes at 4 pm. Paying guests may remain inside the park and exit through an outdoor gate after that time.

120 acres of peace and serenity!
I made the mistake and came here for the first time yesterday! Now, I am going to purchase the season pass and come once a month! I am going to take the tram every time and find my favorite, of the 25 unique gardens, then walk my 10,000 steps. It is the perfect place to get exercise because they have 5 miles of pathways!
I am so glad I found Marion County! Just driving to the garden, you feel the fertility and fruitfulness of the soil. I just wish every plot had a sign to label what was growing!
This will be a perfect field trip for my students too!
