Very friendly staff. What a fantastic aesthetic this place has, totally steampunk.

Amazing historical place
Staff are friendly and so much helpful
It's 100 years old place and decommissioned power house
I saw a video from BC Hyrdro about this place being haunted after visiting. Lucky for me I didn't feel anything😂
Around 50 minutes to 1 hr from Vancouver. Worth the time for your weekend trip

Easy to reach. Parking lot available any time you arrive. Admission $8 adults $7 for age 55 up. Exhibition hall is a time machine to bring you back to 1920. A 1912 electrical car is most impressive. The staff is nice. Bring you own food There are tables with sun umbrella by the lake.

We stopped in to see what it was all about. Glad we did .. very interesting place and we learned a lot. We got the seniors rate of $7 each. We were there close to 2 hours . Its a self guided tour . Clean washrooms . Lots of interesting history . Lots of interactive displays for kids but we enjoyed them as well .
Dan Kennedy — Google review
I recently visited the Powerhouse at Stave Falls, and it was a captivating journey that blended history, technology, and natural beauty. From the moment I stepped inside, the Powerhouse transported me back in time with its incredible collection of photos and stories that vividly portrayed the bustling BC Hydro owned town that once thrived here. The nostalgia-inducing display of "first generation" household electric appliances was a delightful glimpse into the past.
One of the highlights of my visit with the family was the opportunity to witness a mesmerizing tesla coil demonstration. It was a moment of awe and wonder that both kids and adults could appreciate. The Powerhouse also offers a range of interactive exhibits that engage visitors, fostering a deeper understanding of power generation and its impact on our lives.
What sets the Powerhouse at Stave Falls apart is the unique opportunity it provides to step inside a hydroelectric dam generation plant. The sheer scale of the turbines and generators is awe-inspiring, giving visitors a glimpse into the immense power harnessed by this technology. Once the largest generators with the exception of Niagara Falls.
Taking some time to explore the nearby water bodies and picnic area is highly recommended. It's the perfect way to immerse yourself in the natural beauty that surrounds the Powerhouse. Additionally, don't miss the chance to support local farms along the way, where you can indulge in fresh eggs and vegetables. (Based on honor system, so have some cash)
I must commend the engaging and insightful staff at the Powerhouse. Their passion and knowledge added an extra layer of excitement to the experience. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a technology lover, or simply seeking a unique adventure, this destination is a must-visit. Prepare to be captivated by the power of electricity and the rich tapestry of stories that unfold within the walls of the Powerhouse.

This was a surprisingly really great museum. It was fun and interactive and the history has been really well preserved. There's a really terrible and hilarious video to watch. And there's lots of fun ghost stories that go with that place also.
Ed — Google review
Great local attraction, educational and historical. There is not a huge amount to see, but it could pass 1 to 2 hours with kids easily.
Nonsense Theatersociety — Google review
Great piece of local history. Impressive art deco architecture inside and out. Fascinating that technology could be so impressive over a hundred years ago.
Great for older kids and adults, but younger kids might get bored.
Duncan W — Google review
This museum has been in my list for years. I’m so glad we finally made it. Even the kids (10 & 11) really enjoyed their visit. There are many hands on “toys” to play with and they took full advantage of that. That staff were very helpful and eager to share their knowledge. They did a small presentation of the Tesla coil. We really enjoyed our visit!
Jen S — Google review
I thought it was only quick video at first, maybe a little gift shop tour. Nope! You see everything! Turbines, generators, over head crane, plus small experiments to see in detail how electricity is made by hydro dams.
Bonus all staff were happy and engaging, but gave distance to explore all the nooks and crannies.
For $8 - I'd recommend this to anyone.

Best day trip from the lower mainland. My kids (4 & 2) loved it, but my electrical engineer in laws from abroad loved it even more. Lots of great displays of electricity for kids and adults alike. Wendy gave us a display of tesla coils and acted as a guide for us as well!
The centre is fairly quiet but I needed my ear plugs for sensory issues. They are wheelchair accessible and you can use most of the displays with a wheelchair or other devices. There is an elevator to go from floor to floor if you're unable to use stairs.
I have no interest in electricity or anything related to this and I still had an awesome time.
I recommend that they get some lightning bug shirts and merch because they have some excellent opportunities to make me go broke.

Clayburn Village Store is a charming attraction in Abbotsford, situated at the base of Sumas Mountain. Established in 1905, it was the first company town in British Columbia and offered various amenities to its employees. The village boasts several museums and cultural sites nearby. Visitors often stop by for a break during road trips and are delighted by the store's offerings. The shop provides an array of delicious treats, including homemade sausage rolls and nostalgic candies.
If you want candy or other great unique finds, this is the place to go! They have so many rare old candies and unique treats from back when we were kids. So much to look at being a heritage building, will definitely be back for ice cream when the weather gets warm.

Boy do I miss the "Tea Shop" portion but, it remains an absolute treasure! You'd be hard pressed to find a more magical candy shop. Plus, you can still buy their freshly frozen soups, awesome scones and sausage rolls and they have a great import selection as well. All 4 of my grown children have the best memories here.

A cozy store with country charm and rare finds. Enjoy a blast from the past with gourmet food and candy.
Located in historic Clayburn Village, this store has been serving the community since 1912. You will find a wide selection of gourmet food and candy, from local jams and honey to imported teas and chocolates.

I love this place. Purchased a large block of cheese. Can't say it was cheap. But so good. The ladies are wonderful. And the service is great. Try the home made soup and baked goods. Take your time and look over the candy and products you used to enjoy as a kid. Overall a wonderful experience. You won't regret.

Best selection of candy from olden days( memories) I ever seen. The old store looks great, staff are very helpful, fresh baked goodies , get there early for those. Just cool to look around. And enjoy the candy shop experience.

Quaint old fashioned candy store and food items mainly from 🇬🇧 England. Variety of jams, relish, and teas. Quiche, Cornish pasties etc available for take out. Miss the dining area they used to have for lunches, and desserts
Val Phelps — Google review
The owners are very friendly. They sell lots of different types of candy, some that I haven't seen for years. They also sell Birchwood icecream and frozen yogurt. You can get scones and coffee here as well. A great place for a treat for people of all ages. 🙂

Always a pleasure! Great old world feeling, as though you are an adventurer stopping for tea, cakes and a chat with the faerie who will send you on your journey. Not wheelchair accessible. No public washrooms. Just two things to keep in mind. But this shop is an absolute must on any trip.

Stopped here as a leg stretch before our road trip and this place did not disappoint. Family road trip, all of us adults, and we spent almost an hour perusing the delicious treats, reminiscing about candies from day of yore. My brother devoured one of their homemade sausage rolls (which he said was so good) and we picked up a bag full of sweet goodies to keep us entertained for the next week. Everyone in the store was really nice, helpful – and the place was well organized, fully stocked and neat as a pin. Great way to start our family vacation!

Went for the authentic English treats. Amazing selection including sweet and savory treats. Go and have a look, ask for some guidance from the awesome English owners, load up on goodies and enjoy! Highly recommend!

Amazing store! Tons of retro candy, your childhood will flood back with fun memories of yesteryear's treats! And you can get ice cream in December. And then the England imports, teas, savory delights.

A small shop at the back of a residential house selling body care and facial care products made with essential oils. Good quality, wonderful scent, and reasonable price. The owner Sue is very nice and showed me how she organized her work. Decor is cozy and romantic. Highly recommend. This shop only opens Saturday in Abbortsford.

Fantastic place for frozen yogurt! Your choice of frozen fruit is mixed in with the yogurt and it is so tasty and refreshing. Strawberry, blackberry, blueberry, raspberry, peach, mango, and pineapple (potentially more, but these are the ones I remember). Highly recommend the strawberry or a blend of mango/pineapple.

Quaint old time European candy shoppe! Absolutely loaded with a wonka world of wonders! They also sell baked goods; premade frozen soups and lunch items to-go.
Don't forget the illy coffee; prestigious teas and icecream while you are there. A must visit.
Park featuring a lake, a walking path, playgrounds, a spray park, a floating boardwalk & more.
Nice little park, can get a bit crowded on sunny days. But great for a 25-45 min walk around the lake. Lots of ducks, a cute little art gallery, a few cool playgrounds, lots of dog spottings 😉
Deborah Tombs — Google review
The park is beautiful, well maintained and has a lot of nature. It is family and pet friendly. It has public bathrooms. It is a good place to practice many different sports including jogging and running. Also good for a picnic or to enjoy good time outside with family, pets and friends. The only thing preventing it to be 5 stars is that it does not have lights enough to enjoy it when it is dark.
Felipe Plets — Google review
Beautiful park with a 2.5 km looped walking trail around the lake. You can see Mt Baker in the distance and there are benches and picnic tables around the park where you can sit and enjoy the view. There are parking lots scattered in different parts of the park and a big playground for kids next to each lot. Very clean and close to residential neighbourhoods. This is a beautiful park to visit for families, friends, and lovers.

Awesome, Beautiful, full of Sounds from Nature, Kids and the Lake. Very soothing to the Soul. I have built memories of my mum and it's special to my ❤️ Tip : Parking
If you can't find parking , park at the back of the mall and cut across the trees , a minute walk to the park. Thank me later

Beautiful place, with paved walkway all the way around the lake, there are three different kids toy areas at every entrance. Lots of benches by the water to sit on the walk around, few boardwalks that go out onto the water. Lots of canada geese, ducks and turtles. It takes roughly 15 minutes to walk around, gorgeous lake & park. Also beautiful walk in the winter when the fog, and snow are out with the lake all frozen.💯
Russell Victor T — Google review
Nice 45 minute walk around the lake. Dogs permitted on leash only. Kids parks, seating, picnic tables (some covered) garbage cans and restrooms around walkway. Beautiful large trees, lots of ducks and geese. A small wharf with seating by a small parking lot. Signs up for trails. Two trails...1 is paved and the other is parallel closer to the lakes edge covered in bark mulch. Not safe to walk in the dark but safe during the day as other walkers of all ages are walking the trail. Lake is not for swimming but you can do some fishing. Large water feature in the middle of the lake. No place to grab food or drink along the trail.
Nice place to walk (preferably not alone)

It's beautiful here. I love our lake in the middle of town. All the ducks and geese, lily pads and fish. I enjoy the walk all the way around, and thank you, Abbotsford, for finally putting in a fountain. Now let's get some colored lights for at night 🌙

Fairly nice park with pretty views. Paths are paved. Lots of parks along the loop, with playgrounds, washrooms, benches, and parking. Also a place to fish aswell as a boat ramp. Expect to see lots of ducks, birds and squirrels.
Sadly a lot of homeless hanging out and camping in the area. Was approached multiple times while walking the loop which made me a bit uncomfortable as a young woman. Maybe not the best place to walk alone.

Great spot to go work a walk. Did a lap around the lake. Nice views

Beautiful walk around this lake. Painted turtles, cobra chickens, ducks, herons, and dogs. It's all here. Kids and adults alike are seen fishing. There are a few playgrounds, a pool, lots of picnic tables, and there are restrooms as well. Parking can be tricky at peak times.
Lynn Marois — Google review
This is a great place to hang out with friends and family on a nice sunny day. Me and my husband usually come here for an after dinner walk. We love how relaxed and serene the atmosphere here. Bicycles are allowed here, pets on a leash are allowed except by the playground area. Washrooms are available and picnic tables are all over the place as well as benches. It’s a good 30-45 minute walk if you do the full circle. I like the bridge area the most especially during sunset. Also, I have seen a few men fishing by the dock and I have asked them what fishes are usually caught and they said it’s mostly trouts here. So, if you like to fish you can try it here. A lot of geese all over the place so watch out for land mines! Lol! Parking may be a challenge during peak hours. This place is friendly to all ages, wheelchair and stroller accessible!
Patty Lawa — Google review
Beautiful park! My dog loves to go for walks around the lake.
Jasmin — Google review
It's a beautiful lake. No access to swimming there. There's lots of water lilies pads. Around the lake there are different walking trails. Also in 2 sections around the lake there's a kids play area and a kids water splash park. Nice area to do a picnic as well. There are washrooms.
Lots of parking spots available.
Mt. Baker Ski Area is an extensive winter sports destination that boasts a diverse selection of trails suitable for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. The resort offers various services such as rentals, lessons, and restaurants to cater to visitors' needs. For beginners seeking instruction, the ski area provides excellent facilities, including a beginner chair lift and bunny slopes ideal for practicing new skills at a comfortable pace.
Went to Mt Baker in March 2022, my first visit to the states since the pandemic. Compared to Canadian mountains it was pretty quiet, despite being a beautiful bluebird day.
To be honest, I’m not much of a skier - this was my only day of the season, but what a day it was. Beautiful terrain, rugged mountains, good facilities (pictured lodge is very well done), decent food, live music on weekends in the day.
My only complaints -
1. Gear rentals close either 30 minutes or an hour before last lift. That’s really annoying and dissuaded me from renting a helmet as I wanted to maximize time on slopes.
2. I’m a bit acrophobic, but fine with secure heights. I was really surprised to see quite a few lifts without safety bars. I don’t always put the bar down, but given the height on some of those chairs it made me pretty uncomfortable.
OJ H — Google review
This has been one of the best ski experiences I have had in the state of WA. The slopes were reasonably rated (green, blue, black), the slopes were groomed and all the staff was friendly and helpful. Treated myself to a private lesson which was well worth the money and came out feel like a much better skier.
Also the food was pretty reasonable and extremely tasty!

Last of the season skiing for the teenagers. Of course this place has MANY photos of it. But here are ours. Snow was only plentiful at the lodge/ ski lift. This was mid February . Crazy there was such little snow.
Lee thats Me — Google review
I did my beginner's lesson there. The instructor was great and the bunny slope was good. They don't have the magic carpet, which is a bummer. But a great place to learn. The beginner chair lift is great, the slope is perfect for the beginner to test their skills and improve.

Great place to visit. Lot of absolute scenic views. Kids love sledding here. Only thing missing here in summer is some food joints or any activities. Only things you can do here are view the beautiful scenery or sledding (self arranged). Heard its great for hiking and skiing (in winters), but I don’t do those so cannot comment on those.
Navneet Harika — Google review
Such a beautiful ski resort. Although I am not a good skier but I truly enjoy the view and the support from the employees here.
We came here on 1/13 but it was closed due to some technical issues so we went snowshoeing instead and it was stunning! Highly recommend!

Small ski resort close to the border. Great scenery, not much where to stay or eat. Mostly local people. When I went half was closed for what it seems lack of employees. Apparently they often have good snow conditions but when I went it was mostly icy

Came here early October for some Fall scenery and gorgeous Mt. Shuksan views-The Ski area, Picture Lake and Heather Meadows are wildly beautiful this time of year! Lots of trails for hiking and a very cool drive up to Artist's point for the best views of the area. It's a wonderful weekend day trip! There is nearby lodging on the by way up here and some campgrounds in the area (check ahead for closures) for longer trips. You will need to get a pass, or pay for day usage/pass at the Glacier rest area/ranger station machine near the map boards.
Jessie Falkenhagen — Google review
Such a nice view. A few people late afternoon on a weekend day. The restrooms are likely to be closed after 5pm, so be conscious of that. The roads to get up to the mountain are very accessible but be careful with the hills and curves.

Great place to spend time ! Went for a snowshoeing in the mid of January , weather was nice , got in the parking lot around 9 , was still couple of spots. You can reserve overnight parking in advance.
Restrooms next to parking could be better ,
Recommendation: use 🚾 that is in the building of sky center;)

Very good ski place I had a great time with skiing here with powder snow. People were friendly they had a hot pizza and hot cocoa before and after skiing. Just be reminded, you need to be on time because they close earlier than you think

The vibe here makes it my happy place. It's got more soul than anywhere I've skied in the PNW. The Heather Meadows Lodge reminds me of midweek days at Whistler's Glacier Lodge in the 90s if it was run by hippies from Nelson/Whitewater. Wholesome veggie foods and fresh-baked buns, craft everything, lodge cats (!) lounging wherever, some dude playing... rando music (?) on a steel drum, tons of fresh snow and sun sparkles blowing by. Baker makes me feel it's completely possible to quit work, drop out, live in my car in the parking lot, magically ski everyday and feel like the luckiest person on earth.

This is such a great destination on a summer day! The mountain views are stunning. The cafe offers healthy, delicious sandwiches (with gluten-free bread available!) and salads, and a wide array of beverages, including local craft beers. The restrooms are clean and spacious. They also have branded merchandise for sale, next to the cafe upstairs.

Steep and deep, we got lucky the weekend we visited. Incredibly steep terrain, plenty of cliffs. Way more approachable when a couple feet of soft fresh snow is the landing pad.
Whatcom Falls Park is a scenic city park located in the hills, featuring waterfalls, gardens, trails, a fishing pond, and a playground. It's an ideal place for families to visit and enjoy nature. The park has public washrooms and a small playground near the parking lot. Visitors can take short hikes along relaxing trails surrounded by trees. Although it may not be as expansive as some parks, its beauty makes it worthwhile to visit.
A lovely park with an ancient bridge and beautiful waterfalls. Short and light (there are stairs at some point so not suitable for a baby stroller). Near the parking lot there are public washrooms and small playground. Highly recommended.

06/24/23: I had some downtime walking, running, and climbing in this beautiful park. The parking is enormous, and there is no need for Discover Pass
The park itself is large, with clear arrows for directions and tons of things to discover. The most impressive thing that stuck to my mind is the gorgeous waterfall at the entrance. Lovely park with relaxing and calming nature inside it

A park with a waterfall. A short calm hike. A few parking lots. Whatcom waterfall There are not many views it’s more a walk under the trees. Few small lakes. Convenient short walk to the whatcom lake beach nearby if you want to go to the “real beach”. Some amenities. Quite convenient place for a short hike

Beautiful place for a more challenging walk/hike. Most of the trails were pretty narrow and a little muddy(we went in December). A few of them required a more adventurous disposition than I had that day and I didn't wear the best shoes. I have been told that the falls are much more full rapid flowing if you visit in the spring when the mountain snow melt flows down. I think it's fantastic any time of year. Visited December 2018

Small yet beautiful falls to visit. If you are expecting it to be a big place, it’s not. You just need to walk 2 mins to see the falls, however there are trails where you can do hike in between trees which feels relaxing and soothing.

Beautiful park. Amazing hiking trails. The falls are beautiful as well. Large parking area. Restrooms were clean and well stocked. Playground was a little small but decent. Hatchery was fun to look at and see. Definitely a lot to see and do for such a little park. Also seen lots of leashed dogs.

Amazing little park. Waterfalls and small creek are very charming. The pools made by the dams are picturesque. It was also cool to see the old train bridge, but there is a sign that says it will be removed soon. Go see it before it disappears.

It’s so great park to enjoy weekend! Bring your snack and lunch and swimwear and shoes for playing in the river and you can enjoy couple hours. Place is so green and beautiful too. From parking to bridge is only a minute and only 3-5min to pool and falls.

A very serene area where the falls are flowing.
Loved the peace and calm there.
Just after a very short hike up the falls you will find another small falls - we saw lot of young people playing, bathing and swimming there - looked fun but I think i read no swimming in falls somewhere in the park so not sure if this was allowed.
The small playground is nice for less then 4 years old kids.

Amazing walk!!! The falls is located just about 5 minutes away from the parking lot.
There are different swimming areas which we loved. Water is a bit cold but refreshing!
You can continue the walk through the park and reach the Bloedel Donavan Park, which I highly recommend!
This entire walk takes a total of 1.5 hours to complete. Easy!

This is not the closest parking area for viewing the falls. If you want to see the falls and not walk far, use directions for Whatcom Creek Park.
That being said it’s still a nice shady walk to the falls from here. The whole park is huge with lots of trails.
Lots of people swimming in the creek, I was surprised how inviting the water looked. Still we never figured out a way to get down there that didn’t freak me out because it’s a steep jump and a long fall if you are not careful.

I love the natural beauty of this park. The river runs through creating a series of pools. There is a wonderfully built stone bridge. My personal favorite is the old trestle bridge spanning the river.

A beautiful park with a really cool waterfall right next to the entrance! The waterfall is so picturesque😍
You can chill by the water, and it's super refreshing. Plus, there are hiking trails all around, so you can explore the area. It's a great place to just kick back, have a picnic, or snap some killer Instagram pics. Trust me, you gotta check it out if you're into nature and good vibes.

Such a cute park! The falls are beautiful! A park with the amenities of a small city park (playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts, bathrooms, off-leash dog areas, etc.) but with trails that feel like you’re out in the middle of the woods. I love walking here!

Absolutely stunning. Oasis within 5-10 minutes of Bellingham. Perfect place to FALL back and connect with nature. Plenty of trails, especially along the river! Minimal walk from parking lot to waterfalls if you don’t/ can’t walk far.

We often like to go for walks when we're out. We stumbled on this path and it was better than we expected. It's a great party with quite a large flowering falls. The falls aren't high but the water coming over was a lot. Just a beautiful serene place worth visiting!!

Beautiful park and easy trails! Terrible experience with a guy from parks and rec who slammed on the door and yelled at my girlfriend while she was using the public and unlocked restroom at the park. She had only been in the bathroom for less than two minutes. We think he assumed she was a houseless person but nothing excuses his rude behavior and yelling.

Love that the waterfalls and stone bridge is so close to the parking lot. Saw some deer on the way out. Honestly the closest I've been to deer in nature. Just a lovely park for a walk.
Lake Padden Park is a vast green space located near a lake, which offers several sporting facilities like courts and fields. It also provides access to boats, fishing spots, and hiking trails. The park has ample parking spaces but might get crowded in the summer season. There are dog bag stations available but could use some more. The entire area is well-maintained and litter-free with friendly people around.
We walked around the lake. It has a really nice wide path all the way around. I think it was around 3 miles. Plenty of parking, at least this time of year. I’m not sure how the parking situation is in the summer when it’s super busy.
The bathrooms were open. There are 2 dog bag stations. I think they could use a couple more.
The whole park is really clean. I didn’t see any litter at all which is nice.
Everyone we encountered were friendly and polite. It is a very pleasant place to walk your dog and enjoy the water.

Absolutely beautiful place to come for a walk. I always find parking easily. There's a basic loop as well as other trails. There's a dog park, picnic benches, bbq area, various docks, a few benches a long the way to stop and take in the view. I love coming here!!

My family of 4 really enjoyed our walk around Lake Padden, it took us about an hour. It’s a 2.6 mile loop around the lake. You can find more trail details on the AllTrails app under Lake Padden Singletrack. Well maintained trail with gorgeous views, there is several great fishing spots and benches to sit and rest all around the lake. Definitely recommend exploring Lake Padden Park when in the area.

We live in the area and walk around lake padden anytime of the year! Trails are well maintained, public facilities are in good shape and the off leash dog park is a great place to take our pup! It definitely gets pretty busy in the summer but is definitely one of our favorite places to go to be outdoors.

A walk around Lake Padden made for the perfect December PNW experience. The misty fog rolled in to cover half the lake and provided tranquil views from the trail. We enjoyed seeing various ducks and birds on the walk. Even after all of the rain we had recently, the trial had few puddles.

Lake Padden is so beautiful in the fall. Great hike around the lake that is pretty long but is able to be done with a stroller. Highly recommend making the trip out if you haven't been.

Very cool place. Beautiful day, nice people, funny ducks. Nice turn around for the boat launch and handicapped parking right there. Facilities were clean.

Very clean park.

You can do so many things at this park. Hike, paddle, swim, run, field sports, BBQ, chill on the beach. It's a terrific park. And people appreciate it because there is no litter and dog owners pick up after their pets. A gem of the area, and our favorite recreational site.

Beautiful lake, but very small! Easy access with multiple parking lots and entrances. There's a boat launch available too (not really a lake for motor boats IMO - better to go to Samish). Public restrooms available; walking path around the lake and through the park; a swimming area; picnic tables with BBQ's; and multiple garbage bins near the parking lot for easy cleanup before getting to the car. Dogs welcome on leashes. Worth trying out. IMPORTANT NOTE: There are aquatic invasives to be mindful of, particularly if using any water craft, or water toys (eg noodles, soakers, etc) - proper cleaning after using the lake is a must!

Great park for the whole family including dogs. The hike around the lake takes about 1 hour with our sniffing dog Maddie. There is also an off leash dog park and an off leash trail. A large barbecue area, grass to sit on and numerous hiking trails. All around a great place to spend the day ❤️

There are several places were the trail becomes elevated, but not overly challenging. The trail is wide and has 2 docks.

Very very busy during the summer!
Lovely place however I have been told not to swim here due to bacteria most of the year.
I highly suggest it for a good 45-60 min walk around the lake. A few good uphill inclines, nothing too difficult for a stroller. Lovely park full of runners, swimmers, kayakers, paddle boarders, dog walkers, bikers and children playing.
The view is lovely, and the birds are very relaxing to listen to. I walk here almost every day, and have never seen anyone smoking here which is wonderful. There's some good back paths if you really want to make a day of it, however, those are a lot less stroller friendly, and a lot more bikers that go through that part.

Great park! Good for hiking, jogging, and spending time with family friends and furbabies of all ages.
Lots of bench’s, picnic tables and permanent charcoal grille’s on the grounds available for public use on a first come first serve basis as well as several large swathes of grassy picnic area/ water access.
Short hike around the park 1-2 hours depending on skill set etc.

Love this park! 2.6 walking trail around the lake is perfect for an easy hike and for kids. Great for kayaking, and water play and tons of picnic tables and plenty of parking. A bit of wildlife makes it special.

One of our favorite parks in Bellingham. This park has something for everyone. A golf course, off leash dog park, softball/baseball fields, countless bbq/picnic tables, lake access, hiking trails, and tennis court to name a few! The park gets very busy on beautiful days but there are typically plenty of parking options. Check the postings as sometimes there can toxic algae that can make swimming/other water sports risky/dangerous.
Moran State Park is a vast nature reserve spanning over 5,000 acres of undulating forest terrain and five interconnected lakes. The park boasts scenic hiking trails, camping grounds, and an observation tower that provides panoramic views of the surrounding wilderness. Visitors can also enjoy the sights and sounds of a beautiful waterfall amidst the lush greenery of dense forests that are nourished by frequent rainwater.
Really cool area to camp, hike, bike and spend some time in the wilderness. I really enjoyed getting up to the top of Mount Constitution and biking back down. Definitely worth a visit!

Such beautiful trails for walking, running, riding. Most are heavily shaded, so well suited for summer.
We were delighted to see no trash on the 15 miles we walked. Walking among trees >100 years old puts your life issues in a bit of perspective.
Trails are well marked and of varying ability level. The various falls are close enough together to take them in on a single hike. None are tall; all have their charm.
The lakes are marvelously clear and inviting.
The view on top is panoramic. The location offers plenty of rocks and a few picnic benches for lunch or snacks.

Went to Orcas for the day with the wife and 9 yr old daughter and ended up in Moran State Park. Did the Cascade Lake Loop, absolutely gorgeous and perfect hike for the kiddo, just under 3 miles, not much elevation and beautiful views of the lake almost all the way around.
Kevin Starr — Google review
The jewel of Moran State Park is a trip up to Mount Constitution. The midpoint and the top give way to beautiful scenic views of the U.S. Cascade and Olympic Mountains, and the Canadian Cascade Mountains by looking to the NW. On clear days Mt. Baker and Mt. Rainer make an appearance. Looking down at the San Juan Islands in a stunning patchwork of green variegated by blue water that makes up the Straight of Juan de Fuca leading to Pacific Ocean. The park has hiking at every turn and Cascade Lake is a great place to lounge during all seasons. The surrounding camping area is close to the lake and offers a variety of camp sites for a fee.

We love going to this place to camp. The people there are wonderful the campgrounds are always clean.
Is the fishing at cascade lake was out of this world. But watch out for the otters and the eagles.
When you catch your fish they love to eat them before you can

Outstanding campground. Calm place with high and big trees. Enjoyable hike to waterfalls and around lake. Warm water in a lake, kids enjoyed several days of sweeming. Booking a bit tough and should be done upfront especially ferry reservation is tough and their site usually keeps failing with slow performance.

Beautiful little waterfall. So relaxing sitting in the shade and listening to the water come down the fall. The smells are terrific in the middle of dense Forrest that is constantly soaked with fresh rainwater.

This is a great park. Lots of camping spots available. Really good if you are tenting since they have water, washrooms and coin showers.
Most of the spots are near the lake, which is very a swimmable. Park is overall pretty quiet so nice if you want to get away.
The park rangers routinely drive through so I’d say it’s pretty safe as well. They will enforce the rules but are overall pretty nice about it if you’re nice with them.
Each campsite has a bench and a fire pit. You’re not allowed to burn branches from the forest, but you can purchase wood for an easy fire.

Excellent lake area on Orcas island for leisure and water activities including kayaking, paddle boarding and paddle boat for rent. Enjoy the tranquility and fun at same time. Watching bald eagle flying and diving for fishes sometimes. Recommended for family outing and vacation spot in this State Park anytime of the year.

Love this place. Have visited many times and camped several. A variety of hikes both in terms of difficulty and experience. By the latter I mean a short small valley trail, around the lake loop trails, and up the mountain through forest with vistas from thousands of feet up. And a little "castle" too. The last 3 night trip I got in two hikes. paddled my yak and swam in 2 different awesome little lakes. At night, a 10 min walk to the lake shore to view the moonlight on the lake. Winner.
Also, the dork in me loves the rare firewood vending machine. Great to help the effort of not transporting firewood between eco systems and just cool at the use of tech. Yes, I feed it my credit card and a bundle of wood comes rolling down the shoot.
Campsites are a little small and can be kind of close together though it varies across the 3 campgrounds. You have to ask yourself if you are there for remotness and privacy (no) or easy access / close probity to one of the lakes. 4 sure. bathrooms were clean and stocked.

I really liked State Park camping. My campsite was facing to the lake. Closer to lake shore beach. I did a lot of hiking in the morning then SUP board paddling in the afternoon. 10mins drive to small downtown. Restroom was clean.

One of my favorite parks to visit and camp in. Lots of recreation options, with multiple trails of various lengths, waterfalls, lakes, viewing tower on top of Mt. Constitution, and lots of campsites. For a kid-friendly hike, try the Cascade Falls trail or the Mountain Lake trail. Most campsites are spacious with decent privacy, plus lake views from many. My only complaint is the showers; as with nearly every Washington State Park, the money box says 50cents for 3 minutes, but it never actually lasts 3 minutes. The middle campground showers were timed at 2 minutes, 38 seconds. WA Parks needs to adjust their timers or change the wording to make it accurate.

Great place to relax, hike, rent a kayak, canoe or rowboat at Cascade Lake. Stunning view to the east from the top of Mount Constitution. Views here from Cascade Lake and South trail on Turtleback Mountain (not part of park).

Thick wooded area with small, tight campsites on the hillside (mid-camp). Quiet at night. Trail around Cascade Lake is nice. Don’t forget the east side trail is up above the roadway!
Buck Bay Shellfish Farm is a multi-generational tidal flat farm on Orcas Island, offering Manila and littleneck clams and Pacific oysters. The shellfish are purged of sand for three days before being served at outdoor picnic tables. The scenic spot provides views of Buck Bay, with a fish store and an outdoor picnic area for visitors to enjoy their freshly harvested seafood.
Great place to get seafood and sit outside. We came around noon and managed to beat a big rush that came after. The menu seems to vary from what is listed online but some items seem to be constant. There’s a nice view of the water. Food was excellent.

4.5 stars. We were staying on the island for 3 days as part of a road trip through WA, I had found this spot googling seafood and we are so glad we came here. It was charming and had views of a small bay, perfect on a sunny afternoon. The oysters were super fresh, the whole crab was sweet and meaty, the halibut fish and chips were awesome, perfectly crisp and succulent! We loved the atmosphere and the local brews. The only things we didn't care for were the crab cakes and the chowder, they were just ok, chowder was rather bland. But everything else was delicious and we would go back and try more items on the menu next time we're in the area. They don't take reservations so we were lucky to get a picnic table in the shade with seating.

Succulent seafood served outdoors on the bay. Love their oysters with mignonette. The halibut ‘n chips stand out. Fresh seafood to-go as well. I always need more oysters! Island vibes…

Highly recommend. I’m very picky w my oysters but these were great. Skip the salmon soup, Harry’s Beach House smoked salmon soup is much better. But the fish and chips, oysters, and environment is peaceful and relaxing. Very flaky fish! Worth the drive to the other end of the island!

Freshest oysters I have ever had, you can see where they get them from where you are eating. Also had an amazing local halibut fish and chips, just the right amount of breading and cooked perfectly. My wife had the steamed clams which were also delicious. Perfect spot for some fresh local seafood.

This place is constantly busy and it's obvious why. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. We ordered the crab cake, crab Mac and cheese and halibut tacos. All were super fresh and delicious, however the halibut tacos were a tad overcooked and dry.
We came on a perfect day, sunny and the views were amazing, highly recommend it, wish it was closer so I could come more often.

Best food experience on the island! Outdoor seating overlooking beautiful Buck Bay with delicious seafood. Best dishes are the steamed clams, oysters in the half shell, fish and chips, and a whole dungeness crab.
Check the hours before coming as they can fluctuate.

As photos will attest we ate way too much but hey it was early and places close EARLY in Orcas. Food was amazing. Lots of great wine and beers to choose. Beautiful views. Grab and go fish, shellfish and smoked items if you prefer to cook at home.
I’ll remember this place in my dreams. 😀
Peter Turner — Google review
Eating fresh seafood outside at a picnic table, under the shade a willow tree or awning with a view of the bay is pretty hard to beat. The steamer clams are outstanding, and the crab mac & cheese provides a generous amount of crab. The fried oysters are not typical in that their coating is a fairly hearty breading, and rather than tartar sauce or aioli, there is a spicy Cajun dip. There is a decent selection of beer, cider and select cocktails. The staff is friendly, the environment is casual, with coupes, families, and pets welcome. Parking is limited so if you go during off-peak hours, it's a great place to have a sunny outdoor meal on Orcas!

Great spot for a meal or snack. We stopped by after arriving on the ferry and waiting for our rental to be ready. The perfect welcome to Orcas snack!

Stopped here to have lunch with a friend since I love seafood. My friend had the clam chowder to start but it wasn't very chunky, but had a good flavor. She ordered the salad and it looked really good and was a popular choice among visitors. I had the fried oysters, and salmon mac n cheese with a raspberry rhubarb cider. I also got a Pina Colada cider to go. The seating is all outdoors, half is covered with a view. They have a store to buy fish, crackers, drinks, and some other items. I would recommend this place as a different spot just outside the Moran State Park. You could go get some grub and then go eat it at Mt Constitution with the gorgeous view.

Hidden gem found while looking for e-bike charging station (on premises). Outdoor seating either under tent or under the trees. Food was excellent and service was nice. A wonderful, surprise lunch spot. Fried oysters were amazing, halibut tacos were very nice, green salad with grilled halibut was refreshing, and salmon sliders perfect for our teen. Everything tasted fresh. Well worth the bike ride.

The clams today (my first time at this restaurant) were the best clam I’ve ever had, and the prawns was great too! We plan on going back tomorrow to try the crab. The atmosphere and vibes are very casual outdoor picnic ones, so bring layers! This restaurant is a true five out of five, I would highly recommend coming if you have any interest in eating seafood.
I would not recommend the mac and cheese, I could not taste the crab, just truffle and cheese - delicious but that dish is extremely overpriced in my opinion.
Spencer Naomi — Google review
Such a great time sucking down oysters and wine! You can't beat eating fresh shellfish outside in the elements. We kept eating our oysters even as a cold spring wind kicked in with a lovely white wine's sweet and dry flavor swirling around to balance out the briney oysters and delicious vinegary raspberry mignonette. The rest of the menu looked so good but we focused squarely on the oysters this time around.

We enjoyed a flavorful lunch at the farm. Decent selection of meal options with fresh seafood. Items for kids as well. Buy prepared food and enjoy it on the patio or under the trees. Take home some fresh seafood and other items or shuck your own their and enjoy! Staff is friendly and courteous, food comes pretty quick but note there may be a little wait during high season and busy times of the day. A must visit for seafood.
Forested area with 10 mi. of hiking & biking trails & valley views from 2 observation platforms.
What a beautiful place! Well groomed trails, a small parking lot (maybe 5 cars fit) but there is also more parking if you go up Little Mountain Park road before you reach the secondary parking lot closer to sea level. The trails were well marked, there were benches and little informational signs throughout, we will definitely be returning! Would not be ideal for strollers or wheelchairs.

Little Mountain is very easy to access with a parking lot close to the entrance with restrooms and easy access to different hiking and mountain bike trails. We love the trails, generally very easy but a few up hill challenging trails. We love to bring our dog and he does well on a leash, especially when running into other pups. Definitely a beautiful trail to go to. There is clear signage to get to the trail head. One entrance is to Little Mountain Park, where you can still continue through to the trail. If you go another half mile you will reach the little mountain park trailhead also called surfers way. Make sure to wear something warm because it could be raining too as it did for me. A discovery pass is required and you should be able to pay for one at the trail head. Otherwise, in mount Vernon you should be able to acquire a discovery pass.

Contemporary casino lodging with 125 rooms, several dining/bar options & live entertainment.
My husband and I have watched this casino grow from the time it is open to present day it’s one of the best casinos to go to in Washington. It’s are go to place for a birthday anniversary and just a quick vacation the hotel is wonderful. We stayed at the hotel for about the 6-7 time and last night was just as great as the 1 st stay. From front desk staff to room readiness and very clean and I NO CLEAN (retired executive housekeeping management) so we will be back! And dinner was good and had more fun at the slots didn’t win there but a quiet room and a very comfortable bed and pillows made up for it. Thank you for the best time in the middle of the week.

Nice casino. Went to a birthday party at the everything sports game room. It was fun especially for the kids. When the kids left we hit the machines. Nice variety, all denominations. Friendly and courteous staff. Bar was understaffed in my opinion. But all in all, we enjoyed ourselves and will definitely go back.

We just spent two free nights because of an offer we received. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The staff there is very helpful and friendly. I do like this casino, very much. Although the first few times there, I found it very easy to get lost, I like the parking, easy to find your vehicle even when you can't find your friends. The high roller room is really the hit, don't be scared, you can't win big if you don't bet big! They've got really cheap food, and it's actually good n' tasty, always some awesome monthly special. I will definitely keep going back because even when I don't win, I never leave feeling like a loser.

Very clean hotel, loved the room! Food was excellent and beer was fresh. Service was great and very friendly. There is a cool gas station that you get $1 off a gallon with players card, unfortunately didn't notice that until I was leaving. But most importantly the casino did not smell like cigarette smoke, no one was smoking. I'll definitely be back! Thank you for an awesome stay Angel of the Winds :).

Wonderful place to venture to up north after dropping my nephew off at Western. We were given free hotel stay as a casino rewards member which really made the trip nice even though we didn't utilize the full night. The casino is large and clean and non-smoking. The hotel room was really nice, they don't offer continental breakfast unfortunately. Overall I would recommend this casino even as a destination I am impressed with the facility and the treatment of the casino guests compared to other casinos in our state this one I would say is a gem.

We were there to attend a near by wedding so location was perfect. Although there isn’t a pool on site, the bowling alley was exceptional entertainment for our two young grandkids. Food was very good and breakfast was perfect every day. Gotta love consistency these days! Front desk was super friendly. Coffee bar and GIANT pastries were a nice bonus. Oh and the show heads in the bathrooms have to be the best in any hotel we’ve seen in awhile.

I've been going to the angel of the wind since they opened their doors. I'm very much contemplating never going back ever since they've changed their reward system. So many people complain of the service, including myself. The food has gone incredibly downhill. I can never get someone to help me when most of their machines need to be maintained. And to top it off, I can't have fun there anymore. From the horrible payouts that they have since they reopened after the pandemic To the many people i've talked to saying they are gaffing machines. What a shame I used to love this place.

We visited The Angel of the Winds Casino for our 12th wedding anniversary on January 12.
We were blown away by the entire staff by their kindness and awesome attitudes. We had never been over night for our anniversary, kids, jobs home life always coming first.
This awesome group of people not only made our night incredibly special, and surprising but OH SO MUCH FUN!
The amazing restaurant called Whiskey Prime inside the casino, was GLORIOUS, and our wait staff made sure to help us celebrate with some yummy desserts.
The ladies at the customer service desk were a hoot, and the waitresses (my lucky charms) made our game playing a continuous laugh!
We were blown away with the professionalism, fun and great people!

We had never been before. It was a pleasant surprise! The room we booked was super clean, updated and pleasing to stay in. We stay in lots of hotels including some famously nice ones both in the states and overseas and this one compared to some that were three times the cost! I am not a big gambler but we had a blast at the slots and the bowling alley! Food was delicious also. We got breakfast and was so surprised at the amount of food we got for the cost. We spent less than 50.00 for the two of us to eat and it was a full plate of food. It was great. We plan to go back!

Some of your staff is very friendly and helpful. The young man who helped me get the club card was knowledgeable and kind.
However, back at the keno area the 3 employees in this area were very unhelpful. They did not want to help in any way. When I finally said I did not understand and asked for them to show me, they did it grudgingly. I will probably not visit that area again.
Also, your club card is not easy to use. I should t have to struggle using it especially the first time. This will keep me from coming back as well.
The Asian Fusion restaurant was very good. Very good food and our waitress was very friendly.

Best casino experience ever. The staff were very friendly and I had a great time there. The slot games are current and I even saw a few that were new to me. In addition to the great games they also have a ton of reward members perks. The day I went there, the friend who brought me there was comped a stay on one of their hotel rooms. That is just one of the incredibly cool ways Angel of the Winds says thank y out to its loyal customer base. I intend to return again on the not so distant future and I cannot wait.

This casino is conveniently located for me personally— I can drive here in five minutes to pick up food. The restaurants inside are very reasonably priced. The parking lot is large and you can always find a space. You may need to park a ways from the entrance, but there are sidewalks all over and the walk isn’t bad. There are speakers playing music in parking lot— sometimes it’s decent; sometimes it’s not. Anyway, there are mostly slot machines inside and there are people using them at all hours of the day and night.

We were blown away at the genuine happiness and care that your front desk exhibited from the minute we stepped into the hotel. Janine truly went above and beyond! Just after checking in and barely getting settled in our room, we had a family emergency, and had to drive all the way back to a hospital Tacoma for a family emergency. She helped us with our tragic event swiftly with the utmost care and understanding. We will be taking a special weekend trip back to your hotel this winter just to enjoy your hospitality and patronize a wonderful establishment. Thank you all again!

Firstly the location is surrounded by an incredibly beautiful landscape of forested hills and yet close to the highway. You get to the casino and the building is beautiful and well designed in a comfortable yet almost classy way but still maintains that welcoming feeling to all people. I loved the size of the place and the staff is absolutely awesome and welcoming. They absolutely are the face of the Company and they do an excellent job of making you smile and feel like you are an old friend. Overall I love the place and the staff

I am blown away by the above and beyond service I received from Angel of the Winds. I go regularly to casinos but had not yet gone to Angel. I went and was playing slots. While I was there I went from one machine to another and somewhere between, lost an $80 ticket. I asked security and they looked into it for me. They looked at the cameras and saw a woman follow me, pick up the ticket(I dropped it) , then leave out one exit, take a cab around to a different entrance, go back in and cash in the ticket. They were apologetic but I realized that if someone else cashed it, that was it. It's gone. But guess what? Later that evening I received a phone call from Angel of the Winds. They told me they had my money!! The woman obviously came back and either they knew her or facial recognition got her! It took a lot of effort on their part to get that for me and call me, etc. I really appreciate that level of service. I will be back! Thanks Angel of the Winds!

First time visit. Service desk personnel were friendly and helpful getting us registered and off and playing. Casino is well lit and machines well placed. Tried the Asian restaurant food and service were excellent. Overall everything was fine. The only problem experienced was finding the casino off the freeway and then where to park. Did not know there was a parking garage and ended up parking by the hotel.

We were very pleased with our stay! Reservations, Front Desk Staff, and the Room were exceptional! The casino is equally exceptional with so many machines and choices - including many older fun games that other casinos have replaced with the less silly fun - higher cost Chinese machines. Lots of great food choices and the gaming staff and food service staff are as kind, fun, and attentive as the desk staff. Everything is clean, maintained, and guest oriented - very rare these days! Angel of the Winds is the getaway we have been looking for! We will be regulars!

Angel of the Winds Casino was a great experience not just for the adults but for the kids as well. There's a bowling alley where kids of all ages can play and have some fun. We had my son's birthday there and everyone had such an amazing time. The service was great. We had one issue but it was resolved quickly which was much appreciated since we were on a time limit. The bowling alley had food but there's also other places to eat as well. We ate at the Mexican restaurant after bowling, the food was delicious and the waiters were on top of everything. I recommend Angel of the Winds Casino to anyone that enjoys gambling, great food, helpful people, some quality time with the family or all the above!

I’ve only visited the resort three times but I’ve had a blast every time. The gaming areas are very clean and have an elegant feel to them. The atmosphere is very welcoming although it can get crowded and loud that’s expected in a casino/resort. The staff at the players club are so friendly and welcoming they are also extremely polite and I feel like that is rare in the service industry. My spouse absolutely loves the complementary non alcoholic drinks available to the public. I would definitely give this place a chance if you’re looking for something to do on date night.

We (5 ladies)went bowling with Senior Strikers and had a blast adventuring through the casino and learning the ropes. Haven’t laughed so much in ages. I was impressed with the live band playing for the dancing patrons next to the bowling. Plus the friendly service and advice from the staff was lovely. Food wasn’t as good as expected, but most of us walked out with added winnings from gambling. Loved the fresh air, that’s why we came. Coming back with more people from our condos.

Clean, nice layout, good machine variety, and having bowling as a non-gambling entertainment option is great. Though we did not stay at the hotel, I can at least say the lobby is nice and comfortable. Ate at Katie's Kitchen, and it was very good for the price (the reuben deal was hard to pass up and worth every penny). That being said, the winning factor here is easily the location. Geographically speaking, I think this is the best casino I personally have been to.

My first time ever stepping foot in the Angel of the Winds casino resort and i was treated so well. I was given a free nights stay for winning a jackpot on a slot machine and with the one gesture they came to hold value in my eyes as i’ve won tens of thousands from other local casinos and been given nothing, not even an escort to my vehicle upon leaving with my winnings. The casino was smoke free clean and attended by caring and thoughtful employees. the resort was spotless and rooms very large clean and with luxurious comforts that normally come at a price four times that of which they ask. i recommend stopping by should you find yourself in the area. grab a players card if you choose to play it’s worth the benefits. or if you’re just looking to stay at a five star resort for the price of a truck stop motel you wouldn’t be disappointed regardless of how you choose to spend your time there.

I've stayed here before and it's always clean and immaculate. Beautiful bathrooms and shower too! For some reason though, we were in a room that had very little sound protection and we heard *every* sound they made including a nasty cough someone had. I think the adjoining door had something to do with that. I really didn't enjoy the room for this reason but also didn't want a room switch request so late at night, but had that not happened (it didn't before) I would have a whole different story.
Casino, food and staff are amazing.

We spent the night for the first time because our granddaughter was participating in a bowling tournament. We were very impressed by the joy in all the employees who work there. It is not easy at times to find people who enjoy being at work which tells a lot about the establishment they are working for. The rooms were so clean! the tv was amazing. The beds were comfortable. The food places had great food at great prices. Drinks are free any time. The bowling alley was amazing. the food there was also great with great prices. The casino didn't feel crowded and it is all smoke free which is awesome. We will definitely be back soon.
Located in Tulalip, Washington, just six minutes north of Marysville, the Seattle Premium Outlets is a popular shopping destination in the Seattle metropolitan area. The outlet center offers a wide range of stores with discounted prices on well-known brands. Visitors can also find Gateway Shopping Center nearby, which features major retailers and easy access from the I-5 highway.
I absolutely LOVE outlet malls, as nearly everything has discounted prices. This one has a decent selection of name-brand stores, and a few premium ones in a figure-eight style loop.
There’s a food court and a Starbucks in the middle, and pretzel, and kettle corn stands scattered throughout.

A lot of people from BC to shop here and bring back to Canada to save on taxes and have more options. The is the strength of the US.
Many shops and pretty much what you need is here. Weekday afternoon, many shops is close for lunch for 30-60 minutes. Be aware of this so you don’t feel bad when the door is locked.

This is a great place to shop, especially during the holidays. It's best for clothing and shoes. It's also a great place for kids, plenty of food locations and spots to play. There is a parking lot and garage. Although it can be crowded on weekends, it always seems to have parking. Fun place to visit!

Great deals! Awesome shopping experience!
Edit- those who want to go via public transportation need to catch a bus from Bellevue transit center bay-4.
I recommend checking google for more details before planning. the bus takes around 2-3 hours depending on traffic. with a car, it's 35 - 45 minutes. However, I would suggest taking a cab.

Fun and inexpensive mall, has tons of discounted stores! And great brands as well . Parking lot is humongous but still gets very very packed and parking can be hard to find, especially on the weekends. Very clean atmosphere, tons of bathrooms, drinking fountains and water bottle refill stations. They also have some fun quarter machine rides for kiddos, as well as you can rent stroller car things. I wish they had more food options though, there's about 4-5 in the food court to choose from like Subway. I recommend getting off the 116th exit because the other exit gets extremely backed up. Beautiful holiday decorations.

Not anything special ...but common brands are all there..n prices as expected are lower than high street outlets...
Lots of discounts...
Eating facilities again of average grade...not many choices...
Rest rooms r good..
Ample parking facilities..
Far away from Seattle... wastes time from shopping..

This store owner said he is smart as a business owner and doesn’t care about the needs of clients. He refused to exchange any quarters back while our purchasing, and refused to help us toss the receipt as he will run his business at the ‘smartest’ way for his best interest.
We bought something over $8.XX and paid $10, and we barely asked for few quarters back. Then we got this attitude :)
Not a pleasant experience of visiting this place.

Even though there are plenty of parking spaces, they are full on weekends. I spent 0.5 hours walking around and finally found a parking spot! In this case, I would suggest parking your car on the 2nd floor of the parking building, which is near the Levis store.

It’s an excellent place to buy your needs with a discount between 15-20%. You have to check their offers as they may provide extra discounts at different days of the year. But we can’t compare it with Portland outlet as no tax there. Parking is spacious but you need to come early to ensure a slot. Foods , they have food court and other small shops and food is okay.

Journeys East, located within the Tulalip Resort and Casino in Marysville, is a vibrant restaurant offering a diverse menu of Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese cuisine. Guests can indulge in an array of delicacies from different Asian cultures while enjoying a selection of cocktails and wines. The exceptional service provided by the friendly staff adds to the overall dining experience.
First stay at Tulalip Casino. We had ordered sushi here as well, but the service and food with drinks was phenomenal. The chicken karaage on the appetizers menu section was to die for (ask for extra lemon to drizzle, truly makes a difference). We, husband and I, had just sat at the bar outside the main restaurant but still had an amazing experience. If you are at the casino hit this place up!

Been here many times but first time writing a review of this restaurant. Probably everyone knows this is a very popular place. The food is absolutely great. Would recommend the combo fried rice and Bo Luc lac… Sushi is also great too. There is no complaint except for the long line wait and a limited amount of staff working

What happened Journeys East?
Used to be my favorite Asian restaurant in the North end, with contemporary dessert options.
Steamed halibut. Should be renamed to "Microwave" fish. Seriously the halibut stuck to the plate, and it looked and tasted microwave, and just added the yet simple sauce but mediocre. Not worth $30 for this dish!
Green curry with chicken. Curry broth and chicken is spot on, but I didn't realize there would be so many cucumbers and less chicken.
Spicy wontons. Just wontons and chili oil. Probably the only redeeming dish.
Service was okay. Waitress was nice but lack a bit of attention, as we had to flag her down for additional orders.
Overall, if you're out trying to make your luck and crave Asian meal, stick to the lower cost typical items, you should be fine.
It used to have taste/quality of a good restaurant now more of cafeteria quality.

I have been dining at this restaurant since it opened. Before COVID I dined here at least once a week. Several of the servers are familiar with my order and have always provided excellent service. However, after negative experiences on my last two visits I don’t plan on coming back.
On my previous visit the expeditor, Loralei, was in a rush. She kept trying to bring dishes to our table that we did not order. When she finally did bring the dish we were waiting for she slammed it down on the table. Hard enough that I was afraid the momentum would take it off of the table.
We spoke to the manager, Shannon, she apologized and said she would speak to Loralei. She did admit to setting dishes down roughly. We were assured she would receive more training and that she was a good worker that was simply trying too hard to be quick. As our previous experiences had always been positive we felt the matter was resolved.
This evening was about a month after the first incident. I came in with my husband and a friend. We placed our food and drink order with the server and everything seemed fine.
Loralei was the expediter again. At Journey’s the food comes out as it is made. Consequently, someone always ends up waiting for their food. We are used to this system.
Loralei brought my dish. I said it was mine and she set it front of my friend. She corrected herself, but slammed the bowl of pho down. At that point I thought she may have had an issue with me because I had made a complaint about her. I tried to not think anything of it, but then a few other incidents made me think it was intentional.
My friend also ordered pho. I saw a bowl of soup in the window. I did not assume it was ours until I observed Loralei run other dishes that came out afterward. Our server then saw the soup in the window and brought it over. At this time we still had not received our appetizer and my husband was still waiting for fried rice. I let the server know there was an issue and he said he would look into it.
I observed three orders of fried rice go out before my husband received his. I know one of those tables was sat after ours. At this point I asked to speak to a manager.
Before we spoke to the manager Loralei brought my husband’s rice out. She said “Here is a serving spoon if you want to share”. As she said this she brazenly rolled her eyes.
When, Shannon, the manager came to the table (With an unknown man at her side. Did she find me threatening?) I explained that we had a negative experience with Loralei the last time we had dinner. As I was explaining this Loralei delivered our appetizer. I glanced in her direction and probably had an unpleasant expression on my face. Shannon said “Direct that towards me not her”. I can appreciate a manager that stands up for their staff, but not when a staff member is blatantly rude. I explained to Shannon that I cannot control my expressions when someone is being openly disrespectful. She said” Well, two wrongs don’t make a right”.
After that I felt the conversation was going nowhere. I asked for the Food and Beverage managers contact information and both their names.
Shannon said she was the manager of the restaurant. I again requested her managers information. She wrote the information on a card. According to LinkedIn she gave me the assistant managers name.
I lost my appetite and asked Shannon to take my plate and remove it from the bill. Which she did. It took sometime to pay our bill. She pulled our server aside and they both looked in our direction. I assume she felt the need to warn the server about us. We had no issues with our server, Ryan, he did a good job and did his best to help resolve an awkward situation. I will be reaching out to the Food and Beverage manager. I don’t plan on going back unless they hire a better expediter and a manager that can manage.

Best Mongolian beef in Snohomish county. Portions are hit or miss. Fried rice is amazing. Beef pho is okay and works in your need a pho phix. Definitely a wait on nights and weekends. Wish they opened up at 11am instead of noon. Located inside the casino. Great service. Limited menu since Covid.

This restaurant is good. If you’re looking for sushi, they are not serving it right now. I was dissatisfied with the karaage but only because I have high expectations.
The staff was friendly though so it made up for the food. I recommend the honey walnut shrimp or the chicken chow Mein.

The food was good, the portion is quite big. Service was good too, our server comes to us very often. It’s fusion restaurant, not that authentic Chinese/ Asian restaurant.
Most of our food taste good, only the fry odon was a bit under seasoned( or not like what I expected. ) It’s a bit dry to me.

Dining here tonight was good. Our waitress was on top of things. Food was very fast and fresh. I will be back. Wonton was okay. Rolls were delicious. Udon noodles were great. Honey walnut shrimp was fantastic. Can't wait to try some new dishes next time. Thought the portion on the shrimp could have been bigger as there were only 10 for $18 but by the time I was done I was full and happy.
The Boeing Future of Flight museum is dedicated to the history and future of aviation. Visitors can explore exhibits covering the history of aviation as well as tours of the commercial jet assembly plant. The museum also has a few fun things to do and see, making it a great place for all ages to learn and explore. The shop is excellent, and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. However, the factory tour is currently closed due to Covid-19.
Was very excited to hear that tours were back! Took a friend visiting from California on the 10:30 tour. Christopher was our great storyteller guide. I've done the tour in the past many years ago on weekends, so it was interesting to see it during the weekday. You can't bring any phones or cameras on the tour. They have free lockers to stow your purses, backpacks, phones, or food. I bought my ticket ahead online the day before we visited.

Despite the factory tour being closed, the backstage pass film is a good way to find out more about the history and operations at this site. It's no substitute for a real tour though! There was a Q&A session at the end which was a good opportunity to ask questions, although some of the answers given weren't very informative.
The museum and viewing deck are good, so this is a good way to spend a few hours just half an hour outside Seattle.

Went on a Monday afternoon and spent about an hour and half there. Thought it would have a lot more things to look at but there were no factory tours available and some of the exhibits were still under renovation. Staff at the drone pilot and AI stations were very friendly and pleasant. Those interactive stations were pretty cool. The price was cheap ($6).
Worth a visit if you are in the area and you have a couple hours but definitely not a destination like the Museum of Flight. The gift shop was my favourite part of my visit.

My expectation is to have Boeing factory tour which inspired me long time ago to see how to assemble the big plane. Unfortunately it’s closed due to Covid-19. Spent one hour in future of flight which is so interesting.

I was impressed with the variety, quality and engagement of their exhibits. My 9 and 11-year old girls had a blast. Mini robots that do tricks following lines drawn on paper, a drone flying cage, fly a flock of birds onscreen with body motions, eliminate space junk with a computer game, look at mini drones the size of a fly, make up to 6 ping pong balls float mid-air on tiny streams of air, design your own plane by picking features then flying it in a cockpit to see how well it flies (simple enough for 5-year old to enjoy). We probably missed 5 or more exhibits because we ran out of time! Very inexpensive for the hours of enjoyment. Highly recommended!

This is a good place for young and old, not a whole lot to see, we were there about an hour. But it was interesting. Drones (in a cage) and simple motorized cubes that you can draw a path for them to follow, great for kids. We enjoyed the visit, I know there are bigger museums but for a quick “something to do” that’s not too expensive… it was perfect. Just know to keep your expectations low on the quantity of airplanes. There were several coming soon exhibit so it’s looking to expand.

Wow! Beautiful modern clean gallery Museum. I also go lunch to be the first group of for the new factory tour! Peter was a fantastic tour guide and had all the information memorized to educate 27 of us in a theater presentation, then bus tour into the factory where these amazing Boeing planes are assembled!
Awesome gift shop to! And sky deck where you can see the planes landing as well.

Interesting tour but doesn’t get you on the ground floor and up close to the operations to better experience the equipment, parts, processes and aircraft. All observations are from the transport bus or observation decks high above the workplace. Glad I saw it but somewhat disappointed in the distant viewing. Entrance fee a bit pricey for the overall experience. Tour guide and other staff were great!

I was surprised at how informative and interesting this tour was (in that the factory tours are currently closed).
The building has many exhibits including hands-on (mostly for youth). There is a drone area that you can practice flying.
You also have access to a roof top, which provides excellent views of Paine Field and has a radio broadcasting the tower traffic.
The best part for us was the one hour presentation, which was hosted by staff . You could ask questions and interact about the history and the assembly process. It's not like the actual factory tour, but it's still very informative.

It was a good tour; could have been better. Although I understand that there are data privacy concerns and that’s why everything is viewable from a distance. I had a tour and it was very impressive. I booked it online 2 weeks before my visit. The tour is around 90 minutes. I entered the hangar area and visited the assembly line where I saw many planes in production, including two Air Force KC-31s being refueled. Our tour guide was very helpful and friendly. Backpacks, cameras, phones, food, and drinks were not permitted during the tour, but there were free lockers at the entrance. There were no restrooms during the tour, so it's important to hydrate and use the restroom beforehand. The is a sky deck and gallery next to the lobby, you can take pictures of the planes from distance on the deck.

The place is nice overall, the exhibition is nice and that's it, there aren't too many things on display.
The observation deck is impressive providing a breathtaking view of the airport and the mountain ranges surrounding the area.
The tour is fine and nothing more, we were disappointed by the tour and expected much more.
The tour is Including a view of the factory from two high points (observation balconies inside the factory overlooking the 2 parts of the factory) but there is no walking in the factory and there is no watching at what happens in the assembly process up close.
It does not provide the feeling one expects from a tour of the Boeing assembly factory.
I would like to point out that it is forbidden to take pictures during the tour.

Drove 12 hours just for the Boeing tour and it was totally worth it! We had a great time. Even just plane spotting across from the factory was enthralling. We saw an Antonov our first morning there along with all the amazing Boeing planes. I would also love to see a more in depth tour option. The store is fantastic! Lots of selection and the prices were great.

So you can’t take your phone on the tour so the pictures are just of the sky deck that you get access to with a tour ticket. The tour its self is okay, it’s more of a just a bus ride around the Boeing facility with a stop in the production facility. Once on there assembly line you get an elevator onto an observation deck and can look over the 777F assembly line. The tour is not particularly detailed but if you are interested in seeing jets it is a must.

Great insight into the workings of a plane assembly plant! Worth it! Although the price doesn’t justify the length of your and our inability to carry phones for selfies at least! From the viewing terrace you can take some good pictures!
The Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum, located in a restored hangar, features an impressive collection of military aircraft and weapons from the years 1935 to 1945. If you have the chance to visit this museum, I highly recommend it. took my family to the fly days and other events (Wine night and Tanktober-fest). I live down the road from this place and took it for granted, then the pandemic hit and closed it for 3 years. Then with new ownership, I thought this impressive collection was lost to the area. But it remains for the time being. Visit and appreciate the awesome collection. Hopefully they continue to do demonstrations whether it's the tanks or planes.

Great museum with some planes that are the last of their kind. Most of the planes and tanks are fully operational. I was told that in the past, and hopefully in the future, some of these planes and tanks are flown/driven in demonstrations on holidays, including firing the tanks (with blanks). There is an interactive educational section as well. The docents were friendly and helpful with a decent amount of knowledge.

Definitely a must visit place if you are looking for historical artifacts around WWII. Beautifully preserved and restored armored tanks and airplanes from the Wars. The best part though are the volunteers who work as guides here. All of them have some family involvement with the heritage and their level of knowledge is impressive.
Couple this trip with the Boeing - Flight of Future (right around the corner) and you have a fantastic field day lined up for family and friends.

This is the most wonderful place to be for a history nerd, everyone is so nice and willing to answer your questions about pretty much anything. To top it all off the fact that everything works is just amazing. I love going to see the P-47 and watch her flying. Thank you to this wonderful place for creating so many memories and keeping me facinated :D

What an amazing day. I was expecting a couple of hangers with a few restored war birds. Boy, was I wrong! They actually have more ground vehicles than aircraft now (mostly tanks), but this takes nothing from the aviation and historical information. The theater, and interactive history of war (touch screens, audio-visual presentations, etc) is amazingly well done, and the pictorial timelines meticulously laid out on the walls are visually stimulating and educational. I was surprised at some of the artifacts that were on display, but you should just see for yourself!
The highlights of my visit were the stories behind some of the aircraft and the associated people, as shared by Rick. His passion for the history of both the aircraft and the museum made for a very special day. I got to learn a lot about the back stories of the aircraft, as well as the people associated with them. I will definitely be making the trip back to be there for an upcoming flight day! Thanks again to Rick for the outstanding tour!!

The best collection of WW II warbirds that I've seen since Planes of Fame in Chino. Meticulously restored, airworthy historical planes. The ground combat vehicles were nice to see, but I came to see the planes. Only gripe is having to endure inappropriately loud visitors that pushed me aside & talked about things unrelated to the museum.

Wow what a great way to spend a few hours. It's a great mix of planes--a mind-blowing number of which still fly--and vehicles. The displays are well-described on plaques and banners. And there are several roving volunteers to answer questions. We had great conversations with David who knew his stuff and was the friendliest guy we met all week. Highly recommended. Be sure to look through the fence at the new green Boeings and the military ramp.

Amazing museum. The planes are well preserved and the majority in flight condition. There is one Junkers Stuka in restoration being exhibited. In the entrance, you can see an amazing B-25. In front of it, there is an English de Havilland Mosquito bomber. All aircraft are well preserved. The nice thing about this museum is that the voluntary guides are crazy about airplanes (like me). It totally worth spending the day visiting and talking with the guides.

Awesome museum well presented aircraft and armored vehicles, excellent and well informed docents, especially Dale 👍 would highly recommend . And visit James Bay distillery around the corner

It is a great museum if you like to see and learn about historical planes, tanks, and all kinds of combat equipment and machinery. Very well laid out displays with excellent information. The volunteer guides added extra information and fun facts. Even the interactive displays were fun and informative!

This place is amazing! So much to see and learn. My boyfriend and I visited a week or so ago and had a fantastic tour guide, Paul, who showed us around. We learned so much! We will definitely be returning.

Awesome place to visit to teach the family about military equipment. Great learning experience for anyone interested in mechanics and aviation. WWII is the main inventory. They do have some stuff predating WWII and other vehicles from Vietnam. Very good variety of armor and planes. They even have a working me262! It's worth the price of admission. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The gift shop has a lot of variety. They will hopefully start doing live demonstrations soon.
The Reptile Zoo is a well-kept and spacious facility that offers hands-on experiences with various reptiles such as lizards, snakes, and an albino alligator. Tortoises, turtles, iguanas, crocodiles, African bullfrogs, and tarantulas are among the creatures available for viewing. The staff is friendly and each reptile has personal details displayed. Visitors can also browse through the small gift shop upon entering.
I love this location and so does my son! We are big reptile fans and this place just keeps getting better and better over the years. They have a wondeful selection of reptiles. Staff always friendly and informative. Great location for all ages and close to home,.

Smaller than I imagined, but fit lots of different reptiles inside the exhibits. You can go through this in an hour maybe two if you take your time.
Most exhibits are harder to see through and needs updating, which I think is happening soon.
Still had a good exhibits and worth the price.

I highly recommend visiting this reptile zoo, but be sure to dress comfortably as it can get quite warm inside, which is perfect for the reptiles. I was thrilled to see the diverse range of reptiles, and it was an unforgettable experience to touch a snake for the first time and come face to face with a crocodile. These creatures are truly magnificent. While I wished the facility was better maintained and provided more spacious habitats for the animals, I understand the financial constraints involved. Overall, it's a worthwhile visit for any reptile enthusiast.

Neat and tidy, organized and spacious inside. Lots of snakes, tortoises, turtles, lizards and iguanas. A few crocodiles, African bull frog, tarantulas too! Most of the tortoises and a python were open for petting. Our 6 and 10 year olds were amazed. Good value for the entry fee. Worth spending two hours with those amazing creatures.

Went with my 4.5 year old and he absolutely loved it! We got to pet a few turtles which was nice. And so many different snakes. Which was kinda cool to learn about them, since I’m absolutely petrified of them but knew my son would love to go. All the way home, all he could talk about was the Reptile Zoo and how cool it was. Will definitely come back again.

DO NOT BELIEVE the lower star reviews. Bunch of vegan hippies who worship peta and post bad reviews for normal zoos. Anyways - I loved this place. The people are awesome and I saw no signs of neglect. Everything looked clean and there was definitely enough room for them considering they are rescues and unable to live in the wild. Take your kids! Not only is there tons of cool information to read as you ago, the gift shop has great prices and it’s a very fun experience

We spotted this place as we driving through Monroe WA.
We went back to check it out.
Admissions fee $10.96 and it is a Self Tour, but at 5pm they have a “feeding tour” which is included in the entrance fee.
Be prepared as it is a bit humid in temperature for the comfort of the reptiles and other creatures to be comfortable.
Lot’s of cool creatures to see.

Filled with reptiles and bugs from around the world, it is highly educational and allows people to be up close to nature's amazing diversity. Absolutely LOVE IT!

We had a fantastic time visiting the Reptile Zoo! The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and they took the time to answer all of our questions. The variety of animals was great, and all of the reptiles seemed healthy and happy. We especially enjoyed seeing the black tortoises, which were huge and majestic. Our children were also really engaged and excited to learn about all of the different reptiles.
The only downside to our visit was that we live out of state and won't be able to come back anytime soon. However, we would definitely recommend the Reptile Zoo to anyone who is interested in learning more about reptiles or who is looking for a fun and educational outing for the family.

My partner and I are from South Eastern BC and would often travel to Monroe for Formula Drift; every time we passed this business I would comment how I wanted to stop there. We had travelled to Seattle in early October 2023 for my birthday and were travelling the day of my birthday so we decided to stop in at the Reptile Zoo. Not sure how we managed to plan it this perfectly, but we got there right at feeding time on a Friday. We toured through with another group and watched majority of the reptiles get fed which was a super cool experience! The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and you can tell he was very passionate about his reptiles; he shared a story / a memory about each and every one of the reptiles there with us. As someone who has owned several snakes in the past, I can confirm that the reptiles did not appear to be uncomfortable or in distress, as some other reviews may suggest. This was definitely an amazing way to spend my birthday and we will absolutely be stopping in again the next time we are in the area!!

The Reptile Zoo was actually a lot bigger than I thought it would be. I brought my 2 year old and we were there for a whole hour. They can pet some of the tortoises, which is neat! Also, this is not a glorified pet shop – there are black mambas! It's super cool seeing the most dangerous snakes in the world.

My kid had fun. We saw exotic animals.
They all look3d so miserable and sad. They looked neglected. The building looked like it was borderline condemable. There was spider webs everywhere. Hazards galore. Plugs and metal and water combined. An unlocked snapping turtle cage. Rotting food in cages no water in hot cages crowded with little to no supervision. People tapping and banging on glass. Unsafe kids area with lights held by duck tape. Dirty very gross cages. Oil water. Blocked fire extinguishers. Rotting ceilings. Literally dripped water and debry onto me personally. It is so gross so sad and so dangerous. But your kids might love it. Never again. Never ever again. Should be shut down!!!!!

Pet an alligator and a snake. Super cool selection of reptiles (snakes, lizards, alligators, turtles, frogs, etc). Pretty good layout. Note, they keep it warm! (I assume cuz reptiles be cold blooded....)

We had an amazing time at the reptile zoo. My daughter was able to pet a snake and a crocodile. The experience was priceless and the admission is worth the price! Friendly staff! We would go back for sure!
Update: We have returned two years later with my nephew and MIL. They have added so much more and my daughter (her second visit, too) and nephew loved it!

Small but it's worth a visit. Lots of cool critters to check out.
We were so fortunate to be able to take the wine and cheese tasting class with Shelly Fitzgerald in her final version of it prior to the facility closing. Shelly was fantastic and so were the wines and cheeses. The other 3 couples in the class were also super nice which made the whole experience even better. The facility is wonderful and it's surprising that Gallo, who is purchasing Columbia is not also taking ownership of the building. If you can squeeze in a visit prior to closing, I highly recommend it. Thanks Shelly and good luck with you new adventures.

My husband came here earlier this year and absolutely loved it. The lady was very nice and knowledgeable. We ended up joining the wine club. My husband used his email and he got an email but after that we NEVER received anything. My husband called and left a voicemail and still never heard anything.
Our payment never went through. Months went by. We thought okay, I guess we will leave it alone and never go back. Another few months go by and I got a call saying something went wrong and the email address that we provided was entered wrong. But my husband did get the first one. They were nice and gave us free wine but by then we were like nope! Disappointed because it’s a cute winery but because of that they lost us as customers.

Nice place but you kinda get kicked out(pretty much) after finished wine testing. I asked a lady if we could stay seated little more after we paid for testing and also purchased a bottle of wine.. she said we can’t “Due to next appointment people” reason. and there was so many other tables. So if you don’t want to be rushed, drink it slow lol I guess. Or maybe we didn’t buy membership that’s why..? Anyway There’s so many other good wineries to go :) It was good enough to try once.

The world famous Columbia Winery is situated in the heart of local wine country in Woodinville, WA. Popular tourist site is also a nice special event venue for weddings, corporate functions, large catered private parties, etc. The food is excellent as one should expect. The staff is friendly, courteous, professional and all smiles. Of course, the wine is stellar and that's what draws people from near and far to smell and taste some of the best wine around. The entrance and overall grounds are less impressive than its wine, especially compared to the grand Chateau Ste. Michelle winery directly across the street. Also check out other wineries in the neighborhood like JM Cellars, Novelty Hill-Januik Winery and DeLille Cellars. Book several nights at the famous Willows Lodge where you'll also feast on Pacific Northwest style cuisine, enjoy luxury spa service and literally walk to all of the wineries. All in all, worthy of a visit to this Washington State staple. Book your special event now. Cheers 🍷

Many other reviews mention the fancy, beautiful atmosphere. These are spot on. I was not surprised to learn that this is a popular wedding venue. I was also not impressed with our visit. We stopped in early in the afternoon, and were told we needed to make a reservation (the place was NOT busy, but there are still restrictions due to COVID, so maybe that was it). We made a reservation for a tasting later that afternoon.
We arrived three minutes early for our reservation, and were told to wait by a window. Around three minutes later, we had a server come in and seat us. I can't imagine what the point of waiting three minutes was. Just like earlier, the place was NOT busy.
We arrived to our table to four matching selections for a tasting for the four of us. Each of us agreed that at least two of the selections were not something that we would have selected. I'd never been served a wine flight that I had no input on before.
Overall, we felt that Columbia seemed a little pretentious, especially as the wines we tried were not that great. There was at least one of each of ours that we didn't finish, and there was one in particular that was truly disappointing. There are other venues in the area (one VERY close) that we've enjoyed more.

Staff is very knowledgeable about the wines.if you don't know exactly what you want I recommend doing a tasting then grabbing a bottle.... Or two or three. The staff can tell you all about the types and what makes each one special! Try to have Dennis as your server!

Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery is a picturesque estate that produces wine and offers tours, tastings, summer concerts, and food pairings. Visitors can enjoy a quick tasting or relax in the sunken garden. Limited edition varieties are available exclusively at the winery, along with widely available options at great prices. Excellent customer service includes allowing customers to taste before buying. Reservations are recommended for all those in the area who want to experience this wonderful winery.
This is one of the nicest wineries site in WA state. They have some good wines but quite mainstream so usually i prefer wine tasting in smaller wineries around. However, they offer outside concerts in summer which are really enjoyable and fun to attend with family or friends. You can bring your picnic, buy wine at the winery and enjoy the concert that way.

For a birthday surprise I reserved the brunch box for a group of 5. Now when we think of brunch we think of a decently filling meal. Let me first say, overall, this place is beautiful and the service was great! Staff were friendly, quick to seat us, and follow up with any of our needs. The 4 mimosas did not disappoint us! Food wise, for the amount I paid I feel like they could offer more food. We all got one chicken/waffle, one sausage, shared yogurt and shared skillet hash browns. We ordered the rest of the food on the side as we were still hungry. The food tasted great. Literally everything had flavor. I wouldn’t do the brunch box again but I will be going back.

Came here on a holiday weekend and got lucky with a walk in tasting! The whole family did the 2 white and 2 red tasting paired with the flight bites, and everything was so great!
There were two bonus drinks, one at the start and one at the end, and the bartender helping us gave a great rundown of the wines and where they came from. It’s a perfect place to take parents around Woodinville. Definitely recommend!

Breathtaking views and a menu to match! The menu compliments the wines with its small but vast variety of perfect portions.
We had three varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon which were different in texture, color and taste.
We also had their Melbac and their white wine. We highly recommend this place.
Next time, we’re checking out the heated domes!

Just a great experience all around. You don't even have to be here that long. The tastings are quick. The sunken garden experience we did was very laid back. Parking is a little on the light side. The prices are great, as their varieties are widely available, but their are limited editions only available here as well. The customer service was excellent, as they will let you taste a few to find what you like before buying. I'd advise all in the area to visit. Make reservations!

🍽 Food is OK, I tried their cheese and meat platter, an artichokes dip which is fantastic
🍷 I did a wine flight it was pretty good, I wish they would also give you recommendations on what to order to try your flight with. Wine is delicious by itself but you can also bring out a lot flavor notes by mixing it with food.

Gotta love the Grande Dame of Washington wineries! ♥️ The breathtaking grounds never disappoint and the majestic Chateau is a gorgeous as ever. Summer Concerts here are simply the best. We’ve experienced many concerts here over the years, but this one was a little different. The security now is top notch. They’ve really got it down. We sailed right through and it hardly felt like we even stood in line despite the full crowd. The wine was delicious, of course, that goes without saying. Fun assortment of food vendors too. Was impressed to see new, private viewing cabanas and additional assigned seating, although I don’t think anything could make me give up my beach chairs and picnic basket! Always a good time at Ste Michelle. Susan Says…the show must go on!

An amazing experience! James Taylor concert was out of this world good! I think they need to figure out parking and crowd effectiveness though, seemed a bit cumbersome process but once inside love the venue. Give yourself at least 2 hours ahead of concert and go early!!! Beautiful spot! The winery is an incredible property, including a concert venue with an awesome summer line up. We had the feature flight, which was affordable ($30) and delicious. We got to try 2 of their whites and 2 of their reds, with an additional bonus pour at the end. Although we didn't make it in time for the tour, we were still able to explore the grounds and various spaces inside.

If you are looking to have winery experience in town without driving far, this is the best & most Beautiful property. They used to have a Free walk tour and wine tasting about 1/2 hour, but now not anymore. There are so many great things about it and you can easily spend 3 hours here: you can walk around inside the Chartaeu, wine display & selling areas; outside the entire property: the gazebo, the pond, the vineyard and concert areas. And the parking is free. The Ste. Michelle Brut Rosé wine is about $20, good to grab one and try. Highly recommended.

My jaw dropped when I walked into this place! Endless options and loved the gift shop entrance. We were greeted by the hostess and they asked what we were looking for in tastings. We wanted a variety so we were guided to the Enoteca upstairs. James was our winery host and really helped assist us in andwering our questions and making sure we knew about the different options and tastings. Wine Tasting Series, Part 4
Wineries…in the Pacific Northwest? That would have been news to me if it weren’t for our friends @jnmgoose, @daphae11, and @fred.mougayer. That group of HT Friends (who have coincidentally never been in a room all together…thus far 😉) all recommended that we make the time to visit Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery and are we glad that someone (🫵) finally listened (🤦♂️)!!!
While the “Wine Tasting Series” is a relatively new one, a clear favorite has emerged. I mean, what is there NOT to like here?
The wine selection is extensive (including bubbly options), there is a calendar of live musical performances, their Summer Concert Series features a shocking number of quality musicians, they offer private Chateau Igloos, and they offer a (limited, but) quality diverse menu of food options.
Although we didn’t have the opportunity during our visit, we’d love to experience their “Bubbly Beats Experience” in the future which features curated song playlists linked to specific wine pairings. 🤯
Oh, yeah. We are definitely hoping for a return visit. After all, we don’t always drink sparkling wine, but when we do, we prefer Chateau Ste. Michelle Rose. 😉
And that’s…Henry’s Take.

The Bloedel Reserve is a sprawling nature preserve that spans 150 acres and boasts forests, landscaped gardens, and a reflection pool. Its well-designed walkways provide ample opportunity to appreciate the horticulture and design of the park. The park is particularly stunning in rainy weather, as the various shades of green stand out vividly. Visitors can tour the Bloedel residence, which includes bathrooms and an impressive art collection. A gift shop at the gatehouse offers further opportunities for exploration.
The trails are beautifully done. Easy to walk paths through fields, forest, and around ponds. So many different plants that look different every time I go. Many benches that invite you to stop and enjoy the view. I highly recommend you go every season to see the wonderful changes in the gardens and paths.

Nice place to catch fall colors, not so much for flowers, though. When I came on a weekend, there was not many people. I had the place with my friends.
Had to buy tickets ahead of time. They do not sell at the door. $20 per person.
When you get there, you have to stop at this sign, and the staff comes out and ask for your name to check against their printed list. My name wasn't on it since I bought my tickets 30 minutes ahead of time, but I did have a confirmation email.
You can spend as little as an hour or as much as three hours here. There are many paths. This is a nice nature/garden walk. Most of it was relatively flat . No mosquitoes despite many ponds.
Overall, it is a fairly well marked and nicely maintained trails.
The only animals I saw were ducks.
I found restrooms in the visitor center (entrance) and at the mansion. The visitor center is a gift shop that sells postcards, chocolate, and small snacks.

Make sure to reserve your tickets. If you don’t they may act snooty and tell you to come back later after booking online. We were told it was sold out but then immediately booked tickets online. The property itself is gorgeous and well maintained. $22/person is a bit pricey for this experience but if you are visiting the island it’s a nice experience

Stunning public gardens that are definitely worth visiting. It was pretty much empty when we came on the weekend. It takes about 2 hours to slowly stroll through all the different gardens.
The property itself is also stunning and has a room dedicated to the history of the house.
I’ve seen several reviews suggesting picnicking on the lawns, but for what it’s worth the website says that’s not allowed.

The park and the trails are well maintained, but be aware that trails are not stroller friendly.
My favorite parts were the reflection pond and Japanese garden.
But I was left with a bad experience by turning us back at the gate for having my small dog in the car. We were asked to park the car outside the property and walk in. I understand the reason for not allowing any pets in the park, but not letting them be in the car in the parking lot felt heavy-handed (gave me colonial vibes).

The Bloedel Reserve is amazing! Its incomparable beauty will leave you with a lasting impression. From the natural, open entry to the Reflection Pool, and through the moss garden, you'll want to be immersed all day in these spaces. Take your time. Enjoy the serenity of its many water features and the tranquility of the Japanese garden. I love this place and highly recommend a visit if you're going to be on Bainbridge Island. I'm not necessarily a huge hiking outdoorsy person, by native PNW standards. Love a beach and a nice day in the sun but I would rather see some art than go to a park. Context to say, if you visit Bainbridge Island this is a MUST DO. Easy walk. Relatively flat 2 miles of just stunning sensory experience for the spring and summer. The most memorable parts were the wild flower grassland—the whole place smelled like honey, I wish they sold it! + the Japanese house and mansion.
Would return. Great way to spend 3 hours or so on a day trip then go have dinner or get on the water. Very memorable vs just going shopping or something. Worth your time.

Gorgeous reserve! Ticketing was a bit confusing since we didn't plan to go here but passed by and the sign said we needed tickets booked online. However data is a bit slow in the area and they are aware, so you can go into the toll booth/gate and ask for/get a plastic card with wifi password on it, park inside temporarily, buy tickets online, then return the card to the toll booth then explore the reserve!
I wish I took more photos but at the same time it was so beautiful there that we were completely immersed in the experience for the most part. Very beautiful park and views, extremely well maintained!

Bloedel Reserve is magical. Gorgeous views, secluded, peaceful, and full of lovely local history. An easy walk throughout but lots of variance in views and scenery. So many beautiful ponds, trees and flowers. We bought a year membership after our first visit because it is definitely a place we will visit multiple times in the year and get our money's work. I can't wait to come back again in the winter and then again in the spring. Definitely going to be bringing a picnic next time.

Gorgeous reserve. Exceptionally beautiful during autumn to see color changes of foliage. A bit of wildlife can be observed while walking the grounds. Buy tickets before hand. You must arrive writing a certain time frame or else you’ll have to wait until you window is nearer to enter the reserve. A fair amount of walking but easy to do and lots odd places to stop, rest, take in the scenery. Many different areas to enjoy within the reserve. The Bloedel home is open to view their living spaces inside. Helpful staff inside the house to answer questions. A gift shop is located at the entrance with unique jewelry, crafts, dishwater, books, blankets, and more. Restrooms also available at the entrance and inside the home. A wonderful way to spend a morning or afternoon.

This garden is beautiful in the fall. A nice walk to see a house like Pemberly with a variety of gardens but my favorite is the Japanese garden. There's an overlook of the Sound. Nice little shop with art, jewelry, gloves and umbrellas in case you forgot.
Be aware: they close at 4 but won't let anyone in after 2:30. So don't be late!!! We came late and had to beg based on the drive time to get there for mercy. They were kind enough to agree, but you could tell they didn't really want to and were just too polite to argue.
We were able to walk most of it in about 45 minutes, but if you do want to linger and see the whole thing it will probably take you about an hour and a half to do it justice.
I'd like to come back in spring to see the flowers bloom here too.

Such a beautiful walk. And my grandma was able to do the walk and she recovered from a broken hip so it’s not too difficult while still being beautiful.

We came on a Friday afternoon so it was very easy to get in, but reservations are recommended on the weekend. This is a beautiful place with lots of history, give yourself a couple of hours to walk through and learn about the Bloedel family and their dedication to nature preservation. The tour is self guided and there is minimal signage, which is intentional. Enjoy the grounds!

The Burke-Gilman Trail, a converted railway corridor that stretches over 20 miles through parklands and residential areas, is a versatile multi-use pathway. This pedestrian thoroughfare stands out among interurban routes in various states due to its superior quality. While Portland boasts longer trails, they do not match the excellence of the Burke-Gilman Trail.
Goes a lot of great places! Well-traveled and has some beautiful views.

Great trail gets me to where ever I go without car traffic. Just bicycles 🚲 and people. Clean too lots of trees

A picturesque trail perfect for both biking and running. It's entirely paved and impeccably maintained.
Noise Maker — Google review
The segment from Kenmore to Matthews beach is good for walking, running, or biking, as it's flat with minimal crossing streets. The views could be better (it's mostly people's backyards on this segment, to be honest), but it's still a good place for a long walk/ride/run. The trail supports about 3-4 people across, and traffic gets a little high on weekends, so if you go, be sure and mind your trail manners:
Bikers - The speed limit is 15 mph and you have to yield to pedestrians. It is not uncommon to get buzzed by packs of road cyclists going way over 15.
Runners - Stay to the right, even if the unofficial dirt path you want to run in is on the other side of the trail. I often see people running 2 wide on the left side just so 1 of them can be on the dirt and it creates lots of problems.
Walkers - You have ultimate ROW, but please don't abuse it. If you want to stop and chat, move to the side so others can pass.
Dog Walkers - Keep your pets close to you and on the right side of the trail if possible. I see near-collisions with dogs almost every time I go out. And please don't hang poop bags on fences.
Brad Berger — Google review
Not a bad walk. Would be better if you had better views of the water and less traffic noise in parts but overall is an ok walk. May be better to cycle than walk to get to other parts of the trail faster.

This is the most popular trail in the Bothell/Seattle area. It connects Woodinville to Seattle and is famous among cyclists.
There are many scenic views that run along Lake Washington.
Alex Budchanin — Google review
It’s beautiful with all its fall covered leaves. Wide enough path so nobody is near each other.
Alex Maloney — Google review
This “trail” , pedestrian byway is the best interurban route I’ve seen in any state. Portland, Oregon also has some that have longer duration but that are far lower quality. As a basic commuter on foot, or runner or even a person an a cane. If you are looking for a cozy urban woodland feel or a way to avoid traffic as a cyclist, it’s unbeatable in all ways. IT HAS NO LIGHTING after dark so beware to time your trips appropriately or bring the right gear. Bicycle times for trip are almost completely inaccurate. So plan added time for those commutes.

Family fun park & pick-your-own farm, closed in winter, with rides, entertainment & a petting zoo.
Haven't been coming here for over 10 years because the kiddos are grown. Recently came back here with my youngest niece. Pretty most of the stuff is the same. There are a few adjustments but this place is always fun as usual. The pumpkin field wasn't big or had a lot of options but the apple cannon is extremely fun. $10 for a bucket of Apple and blasting time exploring them.
Great spot for family to hang out. Little crickets absolutely will love a place like this!
My niece enjoyed a day at Remlinger Farms a lot!!
Kimberly Pham — Google review
So much fun! I had no idea just how much there would be for kiddos to do! Lines were not awful. Plenty for everyone to enjoy. Went with 4 year old niece. She had a blast on the rides, seeing animals, the apple cannon (adult favorite) and the field search for the pumpkin!
Taking off a star because despite all the hearty, healthy food in the store, the food out in the amusement park was all junk fast food (except the corn on the cob). Had a boiled hot dog for $4. I will say the mini donuts were STELLAR and totally worth it.

Remlinger Farms are the best getaway for a family weekend. It has ample activities both for kids as well as adults to get excited about. For kids under 4 years the lazy river and the bungee jump was the winner. There is a crazy big slide that can be enjoyed by all ages and rushes the adrenaline. The cafe is extremely big and has some awesome food options , do not miss the fresh farm strawberry icecream and a ping ride for kids

Remlinger Farms is a family tradition and we have been coming here for the last 7 years. We have watched this farm grow and each year they continue to add more fun for everyone. Enjoy a hot cup of cider, walking around the fun park to see the farm animals, take a train ride or go on a ride with the kids, they have it all! Don’t forget to stop by there market and pick up a fresh farm pie 🥧 and a plate of home cooked burgers & fries. Ever been apple 🍎 cannon shooting? Well they got that too and it’s way to much fun! They even have a full arcade most recently added. Oh my goodness, I can’t wait to come back here, best part is, you can enjoy this fun filled farm all year round.🥰 Highly recommended! Check out my pics and video.

What an amazing place!! Definitely recommend taking the family! My 3 year old had a blast, this being her first experience with rides. Tons to do! And a pumpkin is included in your entry(from the u-pick farm)! Will definitely be back next year
Cassi Sanchez — Google review
They have a huge pumpkin patch on the right side of the entry road and and fun-park with lots of rides on the left side. The fun-park entry costed around $25 per person and was good for a day. It was worth it. The train ride and car ride were real fun. Also have burger joint and lots of other eating options. You could save some money if you carry your own food. Enough benches to sit and eat your own food.

I have been to Remlinger several times! Great atmosphere, live music, large assortment of drinks and food! Very casual. The owner Gary is such a great, down to earth family man.

We visited Remlinger Farms In October. There are many rides both kids and adults enjoy. Expect long wait times for every ride on a sunny weekend. Some rides like train have almost 1 hour of wait time.
In October, pumpkin farm is open to public and you can pick pumpkins fresh from the farm. Unique experience with rides and farm in single place. Farm is well decorated for the Halloween with pumpkins all around and lots of Photo Booths for kids. Entrance is on the pricey end with $35 per person.
Chetan Motamarri — Google review
Visited the park on the first day of the Fall festival. Most rides are for little kids including the roller coaster. The stream train is closed due to parts unavailable during Corvid 19. The admission is slightly higher than summer time but each ticket entitles one free pumpkin. The market has great selection of farm products such as honey, jams, bread and cake mixes. Great for family visit.

Fantastic place for a family to spend the day. Lots of amusements of all shapes and sizes. Our 19month old loved it, especially the bouncy castles. Food was lovely too, and something for the adults in the brewery as well. Flight if beers taster, 7 dollars, little tasters of 4 beers great to sample the tastes, and all lovely.

Remlinger Farm is surrounded by beautiful countryside, so the drive there is really enjoyable. There's plenty of free parking - there was a Ford car show in one of the lots the day I went.
And outside by the front entrance is a good photo opportunity - a giant porch swing. I didn't go to their kids amusement park but there was no shortage of people entering this popular family attraction.. In the main building is a country type store with unique products like apple and pear butters, different bbq sauces, and pickles with a kick. There's fresh and frozen local produce so maybe bring a cooler bag. They also sell an assortment of beans, rice, soup mixes, jams, oats, plus different types and colors of popping corn. I noticed the homemade pies in freezers, some were sugar free, gluten free, or vegan. There is a brewery inside this store, crafting an assortment of beers. And also available is a unique selection of local wines and a big variety of cheeses to select from. There is also a restaurant if you feel like ordering lunch and eating at their outdoor seating area in the open air. What I liked was the swirled soft serve ice cream and the different assortment of flavors to choose from. And the model trains running on tracks suspended high on the walls. Bathrooms are reasonably clean and located near the restaurant area. It's a fun family place to go with a little something for just about everybody. 0xd97d569226e218ff

Keep yourself hydrated if it’s a hot day and carry shades and cap if possible.

This is a really fun place for the whole family. Young kids will have a blast at the fun park. They also have a cute petting zoo and farm animals. Strawberry picking is also great when it’s open. Restaurant is over priced and so is the gift store. But overall it can be a really funny all day outing specially when we have those rare sunny days.

First time visit was amazing, the play was fantastic, there are sections for children + adults and sections just for kids. Wait times were a bit long for some rides, but others were totally free (spinning teacups was awesome).
The train around the park was a nice feature, and I recommend hitting that first before going anywhere. After you visit the amusement park, area, I would also recommend getting some U-Pick Pumpkins (when in season) and buy some nice fun toys for kids.
Super family friendly and we will certainly be back very often!

This was our first visit but pretty sure it won't be the last! Really enjoyed the rides and entertainment. Very refreshing to see teens/young adults running the rides and they were all very sweet and helpful to my disabled family. And the Carmel apple ice cream slushie is a must!

Fun time so much to do. Be prepared to stand in line for the rides though. Patience is a vital factor (especially if you have toddlers).
Food was fairly priced and the Pumpkin Margarita was different and good 👍 a must try for Pumpkin sake.

AB-SO-LUT-LY AMAZING!!! Parking was easy, and entry was easy. Once we walked in, it was all about the fun. Lines went fast.
Rides were such a fun time. Lines for those went fast.
Everything was included in the $35 wrist band EXCEPT pony rides, apple cannons & zipline.
*Apple cannons were $10 a bucket of apples
* Zipline $7 a person
And I can't remember pony rides.
We did not eat there. The food looked amazing. Prices about the norm for a restraint. Portions looked good. There is no outside food or drinks inside the patch, BUT have a lot of tables outside, so all 25 of us had a picnic lunch.
We did have their apple cider slushies and sooo good. Same with the apple cider donuts. They just melt in your mouth.
We were there open to close and did everything. So worth the drive (3 hours for us).
This place was a blast. A MUST for our family again.

The Bainbridge Island Museum of Art is a privately owned museum that offers rotating exhibits with a special focus on works by local artists. The museum features two floors of exhibition space, a cafe at the back, and a gift shop on the ground floor with lovely gift options for visitors. One exhibit showcased the internment experience of Japanese residents during WWII and was well received. Another exhibit featured the Heroes collection by Cory Bennett Anderson that covered the entire first floor.
A free private museum that only asks for donations on entry. There is a cafe at the rear and two floors of exhibition space. When I went they had an exhibition on Japanese residents experience being interned during WWII which was very well done. There is also a shop on the ground floor with some nice gift options. Definitely worth a visit to the museum.

I LOVE coming here. It's free admission, but they take donations via cash or card. They always have different local artists displaying their work, and all of their work has been phenomenal. The work they display is emotionally impacting and even though it's a small museum, the work they display is intriguing enough to where I've spent a good amount of time reading about their work. The people that work at the museum have a lot of knowledge about the artists as well, which is great since they helped provide insight on the artists' work.

EXCELLENT ATTRACTION TUCKED AWAY ON AN ISLAND
I was only going to take the ferry from Seattle and back again, but thought I'd not waste the trip and spend the time between ferries wandering around Bainbridge Island. My first stop, after walking up from the ferry, was this place. It's perfectly located to catch your attention, then having free/donation entry meant that frugal me had to pop in and have a look.
I'm glad I did. It's an eclectic mix in a beautiful building and the gift shop is worth a browse.

What a magical place! I am visiting Seattle from NYC on a budget, and this was one of my favorite activities. As a free/donation-based museum, I was pleasantly surprised by the vast, wonderful, and diverse collection of local artists. There are lots of beautiful and thought-provoking pieces of different mediums that take you on a range of thought + sensory journeys as you wander through. I particularly loved the art commenting on the effect we’ve had on nature and our connection with it. The book-making room was also very cool and unique, I spent so much time in there trying to read each intricate little piece! The museum is very well kept with nice bathrooms and great staff. There is also a lovely rooftop garden to soak up the sun. I am looking forward to coming back on my next trip to the PNW!

Bainbridge Island Museum of Art (BIMA) has fabulous exhibits that are free to the public. They also have an auditorium that you can book for events. Our bicycle advocacy nonprofit, Squeaky Wheels, recently hosted an author event w/ Seattle Bike Blogger, Tom Fucoloro and his new book Biking Uphill In The Rain. Cole, our BIMA rep, had everything ready and took care of everything we needed. The event ran seamlessly.

This is a super fun free activity to do. We went on a lightly rainy day admittedly during off season and I still enjoyed the gorgeous scenery. They had so many paths, ample signs, and clearly traversable paths as well. I can’t wait to visit in the warmer weather to see all the plants during full bloom.

Park is beautiful as it is bountiful, colorful as colorful gets (season permitting), and honestly you can't beat the price: FREE (± optional donation). Come once and again to meditate and marvel at what the garden has to offer with trails and features aplenty. If spring is in the air, be sure to bring your allergy meds.
Pick up a free map or scan for one to follow online. Kids can enjoy the activity sheet that includes a scavenger hunt. Adults can join too: "Find a flower, stem, or branch with the same number of petals or leaves as your age"...ok, maybe too difficult! Dogs aren't allowed although there is a nearby park (Wilburton Hill) where you can take your pooch. All the less to worry about what you might step in anyway.
The layout of the garden kind of reminds me of a statue of a Grecian goddess—like which you might see pouring water into a stream. To wit, starting from the Trillium gift shop, stroll along the top of the goddess' head (Rock Garden, Urban Meadow), onto the forehead (Perennial Border), face (Tateuchi Loop), bodice (Lost Meadow Trail, Ravine Bridge), neck (Native Discovery Garden), nape (Yao Garden), and curly coiffure (Shorts House, fuchsias, rhodies, waterfall).
Towards year-end, come back to see their spectacular Garden D'Lites nighttime extravaganza for a nominal fee. For about a month the garden is lit up at night with a gadzillion (give or take) Christmas lights, all meticulously constructed months in advance and designed to dazzle you away and tide you over to your next visit to this one of the city's best shared secrets.

This is a beautiful free garden. We could have stayed twice as long as we did. I think we were there a little over and hour and we only saw half. The suspension bridge was really fun and had some amazing views. The plants were not in bloom but that did not take away from the beauty. You could really see the moss on the trees and just how alive the forest is. They had their garden lights up for the holidays so those were throught but unlit. They weren't distracting or anything, they made us wish we had time to see them at night. Parking was free as well. We went on a Sunday morning and didn't pass many people on the trial. It was beautiful, I highly recommend 👌

Plenty of volunteers on hand, often offering to take a picture of you and your family if they see you doing a selfie.
Just a really nice walk seeing all of the lights. Parking on their lot at the time had a small charge of $5, but it was unfortunately full so we parked down the hill for free, but the hill is a steep one and a bit daunting if you're not an active person.
But well worth the trip!

Nice stroll at the gardens. As its winter, flowers have not bloomed yet, but there is nice foliage around. Having maps along the way (and also distances as to how long each trail) would be nice. Can't be free entrance and free parking!
The USS Turner Joy, a naval destroyer that served in the Pacific and is now a museum open to the public, offers a self-guided tour for visitors to explore. The tour allows ample time for individuals to discover the vessel's intricate engineering and learn about its historical significance. The museum showcases the sacrifices made by military forces in defending freedom while highlighting the sobering reality of life on board.
I was fortunate to get a compelling verbal brief of the Turner Joy's role in history. It was an interesting tour and well worth your time. I enjoyed learning about shipboard life and seeing how crowded conditions were.

This museum is pretty cool! So wonderful to explore the ship and get to see what it looks like. I love the fact it is right next to the Water taxi dock. The gift shop is cute. Looks at hats and t-shirt options. The entry fee seems pretty reasonable. Note, any charge via cc there will be a fee. Is better to be paying with cash. They do offer a discount for seniors and youth. The ship is 418 feet and she retired in November of 1982. I think is worth the money to tour this one.

Tickets for adults - $18. It was truly a new experience for me to step inside a ship that had been through the Vietnam War and been to Russia as well. The rustic smell inside can be uncomfortable but the history was amazing to learn about. The bunk beds were small and I still cannot believe the max occupancy of this ship is 275!
Highly recommend for explorers out there!

The self-guided tour gives you plenty of time to explore the open areas on your own time, which is good because there is enough to learn and see to spend hours and hours here! We enjoyed the history, intricate engineering, and sobering reality of the comforts our forces leave behind to defend freedom. Highly recommend!

We had a great experience here. There was very few people there, which made it comfortable moving about tight quarters without getting into peoples' space. The volunteers were so kind and encouraged us to ask questions. There were bottles of hand sanitizer scattered throughout. There were also bathrooms onboard, which was great. The air is dry and musky, so if you're prone to nosebleeds, bring tissues, and bring a jacket as it is cooler below deck. Great experience!

Self guided tours or with volunteer guides. The placards explain the different equipment, so for people unfamiliar with the
machinery can understand
the uses.
As a retired Navy man of 25 years, mostly on destroyers (tin cans), memories came flooding back.
Be aware that with traversing the ship, steep ladders are throughout. For those of us who may have mobility issues, would find it difficult to get around the ship.
You can make the ship's horn blast, by pulling the rope on the bridge (wheel house).
Official announcements
are made over the ship's speaker system (1-MC).
The announcements are the same as when the ship was active! It was amazing to me to hear, "Sweepers, sweepers man your brooms, give the ship a clean sweep down fore & aft...".
The gift shop is very well stocked, with reasonable prices. A wide range of items and prices, so that no matter the budget you'll walk away with a souvenir
from the Turner Joy (DD-951).
I was aboard the USS Black (DD-666), after the attack on the USS Maddox & USS Turner Joy, the Black was their relief in the Tonkin Gulf.

I love to search on my own on this ship. It was an incredible and adventurous journey on this self-guided tour throughout the ship. You should call to check the opening hours since the hours in Google Map are not correct. I will come back some days. From Seattle with love
Danny Tram — Google review
Great experience. Little difficult for young kids and elderly with the ladders going to each level of the ship. It’s an amazing attraction and the staff are very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

This is so cool! It's a self-guided tour of a good-sized naval ship. You get to learn about how the ship operated, how the crew survived, and some of the ships history in combat. Definitely worth taking the time of day to do this tour!
Collin Semb — Google review
If you're a Naval history buff this is probably fascinating. But as a civilian without a particular interest, I found it disappointing. Though there is information posted throughout the ship about things like semaphore and machinery, they're pretty dry. Something like a through line describing the daily life of a crewman or an officer would be a lot more fun for the average visitor. Also, in order to reach most ship levels it's necessary to go up very steep stair/ladders, and there are no alternatives, so it's definitely not accessible for those with mobility issues. For the price ($18 per ticket for adults) it's not well curated or in great shape, unfortunately.
Thorn Michaels — Google review
What a cool experience! This destroyer has some neat history tied to the US involvement in the Vietnam War, and it's well worth a visit!
You get a self-guided tour of nearly the whole ship with signs explaining much of what you are seeing and experiencing. Do know this is not a quick stop, and to get the most out of the visit, you will need to be able to climb up and down narrow ladders and stairs. On the day we visited, we were a former crew member volunteering in the galley, answering questions, and talking about his experience on the ship - Doug was great!
The POW section with its stories was an appreciated addition, and I found it fascinating.
It can get pretty spendy for the whole family but one thing is that your tickets are good for the whole day. So we did half of the ship and then left and got lunch and then came back and finished. That was a great way to do it, and it kept the kids from being overdone.
Highly recommend, especially if you are interested in US History, the US Navy, and/or the Vietnam War.
Micah Stickler — Google review
Great place if you want to learn about the battleship and don't mind small spaces but the space on the ship is often very small so some might feel trapped. Also it's a must that you wear comfortable clothes to move around in, since the ship has 5 floors but the stairs are very steep and narrow. But overall a great experience!
Olesya Samarkina — Google review
Fascinating self guided walking tour of this ship. It's amazing that people lived and worked in these cramped spaces for months at a time. The tour is physically intense for people who aren't in the best shape and for small kids. So many stairs...
I recommend taking this tour to anyone interested in somewhat recent US military history.
Debra Lentz — Google review
Love it! You can really explore, and they made improvements to help the experience. The exhibit on the prisoners' experience in Vietnam is very interesting. There is parking nearby. We parked in the multi-story lot. There is also a small shack on the dock with snacks if you are hungry.
Richard Diamond — Google review
TL;DR If you're a history nerd or a naval nerd, check it out.
This is a self guided tour of the Naval Destroyer class ship, USS Turner Joy. The tour can go as long or as short as you want, but I took about 1.5 - 2 hours to get through the whole thing, and I took my time. The ship itself has an incredible amount of history that is laid out well within each station. It is not friendly to anyone with mobility issues if you plan to explore anything beyond the main deck level. Additionally, there are no water fountains, and only one bathroom onboard, so go before you embark. Internally, there are a lot of unique things in this ship, like how it was both the first and last ship to engage enemies in Vietnam, and lots more that you'll learn as you wander the internal labyrinth packed with information. The USS Turner Joy is a great way to spend a morning or afternoon.

The Kubota Garden is a magnificent 20-acre Japanese-style garden that originated in 1927. Its creator, Fujitaro Kubota, was a self-taught expert in landscaping who skillfully combined traditional Japanese techniques with native plants from the Pacific Northwest. Situated in South Seattle's Rainier Beach neighborhood, this stunning park features hills, valleys, streams, waterfalls, ponds, and rocky formations.
Beautiful gardens with many paths. We went in April and the flowers were blooming. We even got to see a turtle sunning itself! The park was moderately busy with people of all ages enjoying the sights. I really liked the arrangements of rocks around the various waterways. A few spots were a little crowded with people taking pictures, but that's not too uncommon in places like this. I recommend it for a family walk, a romantic stroll, or a peaceful visit alone.

This place was a random impulse spot I decided to check out with my family.. It turned out to be such an amazing garden to walk through! The trees and flowers were all so pretty! Best part was that it cost us nothing!! I'd certainly recommend to anyone looking for a scenic and casual stroll

What a gorgeous day to enjoy this Seattle treasure. My friend and I wandered with no agenda. Lovely discoveries were around every corner. Maps at the entrance if you want one. The park is bigger than you think, so it's a good idea to grab one if you're on a time budget.

This place is beyond beautiful! Full of flowers, trees, ponds, bridges, fish, and even a turtle. It was so relaxing and not overcrowded! There is no cost to visit and parking was easy. My child still hasn't stopped asking to go again a week later. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

a fabulous garden - really feels like a hidden gem. a peaceful retreat from the loudness of life, there are plenty of little nooks you can find to take a seat and just observe. free to visit, free to park! several picnic tables available as well as various benches hidden throughout for a quiet place to rest. I thought I wouldn't be able to find a restroom beyond the porta potties near the entrance, but I was relieved to see a fully functioning public restroom located closer to the exit.

Great for a midday stroll, but with some mild parking challenges. It's a fancy little Japanese foliage garden with a good selection of plant species.
The garden is on a big slope and there are lots of layers in the foliage. The tall trees surround you with 360 degrees of quiet nature.
I would have appreciated some plaques or pamphlets to learn about the different plants and sculptures, and their cultural significance.

So many trails, so many "rooms", so many passages... so many different experiences possible. I think you could come here a dozen times and have a unique experience each time. Amazing that it's free. Not the greatest Japanese garden but very nice. I'd plan to spend 30 minutes to an hour here. Donations accepted.

This is a pretty Japanese-ish garden nestled in a quiet neighborhood. I visited in Jan on a moody day.
The little ponds with the Koi fish, small waterfalls and winding trails are a nice getaway for a few! I expect that the gardens look better in Spring, Summer and Fall! 😊 It is not a traditional Japanese Garden, but incorporates many of the features.
The entrance is free. Most people we came across wore a mask. The parking is limited. And there are many signs saying car break-ins are a regular thing. So, don’t leave valuables in the car!!

It is a pretty neighborhood Japanese garden. It is free entrance. It is well kept and clean. They build restrooms and picnic table areas. There are many spots through out gardens. It is good size for a walk.

Beautiful and surprisingly large garden with winding trails and some steep parts. A huge variety of plants and it was peaceful when I was there. There are quite a lot of signs warning you to take valuables out of your car but I didn't see any break ins or have an issue while I was there.

A beautiful park that is larger than it seems. Multiple ponds, bridges, waterfalls/trickles, a wide variety of plants & trees, as well as a small forested area to explore. Many things to see no matter the season. Free to visit, but there is a donation box that I would recommend adding to if you're able.

While I admittedly wasn't getting the Japanese feel this garden is supposed to have, it's still a very beautiful garden that you should stop at if you have the time. There are pamphlets up front to guide you through everything there is to see. If you stop to see everything, this could take up to an hour depending on how to get to the various scenic spots. Overall, it's worth a stop if it's convenient, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to see it.

Kubota Gardens in summer is a symphony of greens. From verdant light filtering though tall maple leaves, to the dizzying array of both carefully manicured and riotous evergreen specimens, this garden in summer offers peace as well as delight. Lean into your curious nature and let whimsy choose your path through these acres. Then come back in fall for fiery colors, and spring for hundreds of blooms. Each season here is guaranteed to offer new delights.

Beautiful and expansive free Park but a word of caution. The place is very large and the maps they provide you with are not very detailed. We finally had to ask somebody else how to get to the exit there aren't many trail markers. A great place to spend a few hours don't expect to get through there in any less time than that.

This was a great place to walk around and enjoy nature. The garden is beautiful and open to the public for free. There was a small parking lot (but there were open spots). I did note that there was broken glass so I suspect it’s best to leave valuables out of sight. There are public restrooms but they are currently closed for renovations. The fall colors are still vibrant. It was very peaceful and picturesque. There are no play structures but many fun places to walk and plenty to see if you are mindful.

Amazingly pretty park. Well trimmed and had a large variety of native greens and also Japanese maple.

Another beautiful botanical garden in Seattle. Easy walking trails and lots of unique plants here. Parking is free, but take your valuables with you, make sure your doors are locked, or at least make sure things in your car are out of sight. Dogs are allowed on leash and keep them on the trail per the garden’s policy. Bathrooms are available on premises. They even offer public group tours (reserve in advance online).

This is an overlooked gem in Rainier View . A small but jewel-like park with a scrupulously maintained Japanese garden covering approximately 15 acres. While it looks small the artfully arranged paths allow one to walk through a series of small and large scenes and vignettes.
We visited on a sunny-ish day in the dead of winter yet because of the preponderance of evergreen plants there is no penalty for the season.
Parking is easy but the lot is not large though the few visitors made this a non issue.
This is a great place to visit, wander, sit and just enjoy a superb little park.

I'd love to have an afternoon walk if I have to choose one enjoying all the trees plants and zen mode , the garden is well maintained and lots of flowers and colors in all different seasons, you name it. One of the prettiest parks I have been too & there are so many meandering walking paths - it's perfect for a long walk and having some quality conversations!! What I also loved that it's one of the few Japanese gardens that stays open till 8pm!! Perfect to chill after a long work day. This is also perfect for some photo-ops in any season - the tall pine trees, moonbridges, koi ponds and overall landscape make it seem picturesque & remote - whether it's spring, rain or show! Definitely recommend checking it out, next time you are looking to find some zen!

In terms of Japanese gardens, it's not that special. In terms of having it in your neighborhood, it's fantastic to have. Many come here to walk their dogs or have walking exercises. The 2 bridges, the bronze bell with the Garuda etchings are special.

These include multiple boat launches, a scenic walking trail, well-maintained tennis courts, and various picnic areas where families can relax and have fun. Additionally, the park boasts a swimming beach that beckons visitors to cool off on warm days.
This is a beautiful park with a lot of amenities! The boat ramps are well-maintained and flow smoothly. There are two restaurants, Ivar's, and Kidd Valley burgers and both are very good. On the south end of the park there are plenty of pavilions to have group gatherings, and a bathroom building centrally located. There are lots of different playground structures for people to play on. You can get a really nice view of the lake from most of the park, and it's great anytime of day until closing.

Great place for people, not so for dogs. Signs posted no dogs allowed in mostly all walkways etc. It was my first time so I had my companion with me and saw a few other. There are nicely manicured gardens and grassed areas along the water. Truly a beautiful place. One can circle out onto the docks. Then go to Kidd Valley for burgers or Ivars for Seafood. Parking was dotted with Handicapped 🅿️ and restrooms were open by the restaurants. Nice big barbecue pits and picnic tables to eat. Also there’s a boat launch here too, (read signs for restrictions)

The only issue is the lack of available parking spots on a nice day. Besides that, this place has it all- swimming, boating, BBQ'ing, grass, sand, ducks, lifeguards (when summer is official!), a dock to jump off and to walk along, lots of space. We will be coming back

I came here to get some work done before driving home and found a spot to sit at a table next to the Ivars outdoor section by the marina. The sun started to set and after I finished working, I walked around checking out the rest of the park and getting some great sunset photos. I was going to plunge but there was sign saying there is bacteria in the water and not to swim. Total Bummer!

Amazing park and next to the water. Simply amazing. It has a play structure suitable for kids of all ages. I even saw some teens playing around and another 1 year old like my boy. It can get a little windy because it’s next to such a big lake so bring an extra something warm just in case. The park is very far away from the parking lot so it has a high car safe distance for me. The water is visible from the park but I felt is like wasn’t too close either. It has a nice apartment building opposite the lake. Can’t wait to explore it some more. It is also close to a seafood restaurant and it has a great trail.

In 2017, I was burning up the road heading out of country. I'd been from Oklahoma to Florida. Then Florida to Texas, and on to Arizona after that. From Arizona it was on to California, and so on up to Washington. Many times during that ride, Jimi had come up on my iPod. When I stopped in Oregon, and was looking over Seattle for sites to see, I saw that his memorial was in the area. I rode out of Vancouver, OR at 3 or 4 am, and all I played on the way up were his albums. I got to his Memorial a little after the sun rose and spent a some time there paying respects. He was gone too soon, but his voice and words will live on long after I'm gone. Rest in peace.

My work takes me near the Greenwood Memorial Park cemetery a couple of times a week, right around the break of dawn. The sky in the east turns slightly pink, sprinklers turn on, and the mist makes the memorial appear hovering off the ground. I light up one, and play one of Jimi's songs. It is a nice way to spend one's break.

UPDATE:
My first time going to this park in months and discovered someone set the playground on fire. Absolutely disgusting.
Beautiful park, but the homeless make it hard to enjoy. It is so unfortunate... for the people who live in the area and people visiting the park. From people being harassed, to having to watch individuals bring everything they own and scatter it everywhere... to the homeless migrating to sit under the large pavilion to get out of the rain. It is quite unsettling. I wouldn't recommend going into the park after dark and if you do... make sure you're able to protect yourself or you have something to do it for you. If you have children, be aware of your surroundings at all times. I've seen irate homeless people yelling, talking to themselves, and one woman even dropped her pants to do a little dance. The police do absolutely nothing. Its sick.

Pros: it is a clean park right in the middle of the city. There are big beautiful trees and benches to sit. If you have a small child there are play areas
Cons: it's a small park and it's boring. By small, I mean there isn't much to do besides sitting on a bench. There are no trails and there is only paid parking for the location
Abhijith Jayakumar — Google review
They try to keep it nice and safe, but it is in an area with lots of crime, drugs, unauthorized campers...
It does have a very nice playground for the kids, a splash pond in summer, a farmer's market year round, lots of events, a gazebo, benches, and art. I don't think the clock tower works anymore, but it is pretty.

Beautiful park, located in downtown Vancouver. Whenever I bring my son here, he has a good time. There always seems to be something going on. I wish that the playground had more equipment, due to the massive amount of children that come to play there. Maybe some more swings sets would be a good idea. All in all, it is a pretty impressive park. I would definitely recommend this park to my family and friends.

Attended the 2023, 4 Days of Aloha. Loved the music, dancers, vendors, and food. But the food lines were very long (30 min plus) in 90-degree weather directly in the sun. And it was also hard to find a place to eat due to the crowds. I'd suggest for next year, overhead tents in the food court area for the lines, and have more picnic benches where people can eat.

This 5-acre park is the oldest public square in the state of Washington, and is located right in the heart of downtown Vancouver. You can pretty much walk anywhere downtown from here. The Vancouver waterfront is just a short walk away (just cross the street) along with Fort Vancouver, Pearson Air Field and Museum, the Discovery Loop, the Vancouver Land Bridge, restaurants and shopping galore; the entertainment is endless.
I found the most interesting part about this park to be the clock tower, but you will also find the Slocum House, a beautiful gazebo, picnic shelter/stage, a Victorian rose garden (I will come back in Spring to see this in bloom, because I know it will be just stunning), a well maintained playground, seasonal water features, and a walking path around the park which includes several pieces of art among mature trees here as well, as you will see from my photos/videos. It is lined with benches, so you can sit and people watch, which is always fun to do when downtown in any big city.
Also, many different events are held here, such as the Farmers Market (mid-March through October) and a variety of summer festivals.
I definitely recommend checking this park out. With so much to do, seeing it is smack dab in the middle of everything, you can't go wrong.

The park is good and large, but I could only find paid parking and the bathroom was not that well maintained. There is also very little shade in the playground so the little one didn't really get to enjoy it because it was a very hot day and the ground itself was extremely hot.

The park itself is great but unfortunately there were a handful of homeless people all around the entire park. We walked around the entire park and multiple homeless people made an effort to talk to my children which is uneasy feeling. There were plenty of kids and parents playing and being happy which I was able to enjoy!

Renovated park was great, pretty crowded since this has been the first warm and sunny day in months, but kids loved it.

Beautiful park. Serene but also bustling with people all around. There are people sitting, visiting with each other and kids playing. Visitors staying at the Hilton across the street enjoying the park as well. Plenty of shade if you want to feel the breeze and sun if you wanna feel the rays. On weekends in the summer, you can attend the farmers market, purchase all sorts of goodies and then enjoy lunch at the park.

The farmers market is here along with a playground for the children. There is a very nice rose garden, benches to sit and public restrooms. I really like the downtown Vancouver vibe and this is a great place to catch it...

The new playground is a great success! The kids were all over it like ants on an anthill today! It was amazing to watch! I didn’t see any tears, everyone was having a great time! Pictures to come!

My daughter loves this park. There are a ton of things for her to climb on and play with, and there are plenty of places for tired parents to sit lol. I would give it 5 stars, but it would have been nice if they had added an awning over the slide and added other elements to provide shade. The slide, swings, merry-go-round, and turf can get extremely hot.

Nice new park. My 8 years old son loves the fake grass turf. Much cleaner. Giant seesaw, slides, swings, really cool giant zylophone sounds awesome. A large farmers market right next it. Fresh veggies, fruit, farm fresh eggs. Food stands with gyros, snowcones, and others hot food. Lots of dogs all well behaved and controlled. Nice Oct. day.

The new play ground (Spring 2023) is a sight to see. Beautiful, modern and accessible by young, old, able bodied and handicapped. A great improvement from the old playground. Nice job Vancouver!
Old trading post with cultural exhibits of 19th-century life, including a blacksmith & weapon demos.
Great depiction of the history of the people, the fort, and Vancouver. **Must watch the amazing movie in the visitors center first, for a full understanding of the history.

It is a large and informative place. They have a beautiful garden area. The kitchen, blacksmith shop, and carpenter shop have people interacting with guests and actually performing the tasks they would have done when the fort was running. Would recommend visiting, be careful on the guard tower steps though.

This place is just really cool and makes for a great photography location. Also conveniently close to the waterfront, downtown, the interstate, Portland, and Washington highway 14.

A great NPS unit if you’re into local history (and history in general). The visitor center and gift shop are open, as are the grounds. Most of the buildings, including the air museum are closed. We were able to tour the “big house” and even got a quick custom tour by the employee who was fabulous. Also, Ryan C. was one of the best park employees I’ve ever talked to. His passion for knowledge and education was unmatched. Our group really appreciated talking with him.

Very nice visitor center, small but very infomative with a nice little gift shop. I came in looking for the cancellation stamp to add to my passport book. Very easy to find, can be located to the right as you enter at the main desk. They have about 8 different stamps, only one not pictured is the Junior Ranger stamp.

Super informative and amazing. An old fort that pays attention to the idea of history. Found unexpected items like the bathroom tiles in the visitor center and lots of nature and roaming. We are already planning a trip for the summer. The kitchen was open and the blacksmith answered all the eager questions. The ranger was amazing. He encouraged us to explore and ask questions.

Fort Vancouver is an amazing place for so many reasons. Acres to walk, jog, bike, play Pokémon with the family. There's even event coordinators for Pokémon community days who give out prizes. Beautiful sunsets and a great place to bring your pets. Fort Vancouver is a historical site that provides and inside look at the life and time of the soldiers that were once stationed there. Just outside the fort door's there is a flower and vegetable garden tended by fort employees. If you haven't been to Fort Vancouver you're missing out.

Great stop with those with kids. Lots of room to run and enjoy the outdoors. The front is great for parents and kids to learn history of the 1800 fur trade. Staff was great and knowledgeable. Air museum was closed saddly. Wife loved the garden so if wanting to see this, plan on time of year accordingly.

Got to mark this off of our places to visit. The garden was so awesome! Wish mine was that big! The grounds and buildings, so well preserved. The volunteers were so knowledgeable! What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon!

Went here once as a kid, and now I've finally been able to see it and remember it! Wonderful place to explore and learn about, or even to just have a picnic out on the feild. I highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

Nice little stop to see the book store and a quick history tour. The touch screen display showing the changes of the area over time was really interesting. The once massive forest is no longer there.
All the staff was helpful and friendly. Plus, nice bathrooms!!
