The outlet center offers a wide range of stores with discounted prices on well-known brands. Visitors can also find Gateway Shopping Center nearby, which features major retailers and easy access from the I-5 highway.
I absolutely LOVE outlet malls, as nearly everything has discounted prices. This one has a decent selection of name-brand stores, and a few premium ones in a figure-eight style loop.
There’s a food court and a Starbucks in the middle, and pretzel, and kettle corn stands scattered throughout.

A lot of people from BC to shop here and bring back to Canada to save on taxes and have more options. The is the strength of the US.
Many shops and pretty much what you need is here. Weekday afternoon, many shops is close for lunch for 30-60 minutes. Be aware of this so you don’t feel bad when the door is locked.
Richard Wu — Google review
This is a great place to shop, especially during the holidays. It's best for clothing and shoes. It's also a great place for kids, plenty of food locations and spots to play. There is a parking lot and garage. Although it can be crowded on weekends, it always seems to have parking. Fun place to visit!
William Case — Google review
Great deals! Awesome shopping experience!
Edit- those who want to go via public transportation need to catch a bus from Bellevue transit center bay-4.
I recommend checking google for more details before planning. the bus takes around 2-3 hours depending on traffic. with a car, it's 35 - 45 minutes. However, I would suggest taking a cab.
Suzayn — Google review
Fun and inexpensive mall, has tons of discounted stores! And great brands as well . Parking lot is humongous but still gets very very packed and parking can be hard to find, especially on the weekends. Very clean atmosphere, tons of bathrooms, drinking fountains and water bottle refill stations. They also have some fun quarter machine rides for kiddos, as well as you can rent stroller car things. I wish they had more food options though, there's about 4-5 in the food court to choose from like Subway. I recommend getting off the 116th exit because the other exit gets extremely backed up. Beautiful holiday decorations.
Danielle — Google review
Not anything special ...but common brands are all there..n prices as expected are lower than high street outlets...
Lots of discounts...
Eating facilities again of average grade...not many choices...
Rest rooms r good..
Ample parking facilities..
Far away from Seattle... wastes time from shopping..
Mehedi Chowdhury — Google review
This store owner said he is smart as a business owner and doesn’t care about the needs of clients. He refused to exchange any quarters back while our purchasing, and refused to help us toss the receipt as he will run his business at the ‘smartest’ way for his best interest.
We bought something over $8.XX and paid $10, and we barely asked for few quarters back. Then we got this attitude :)
Not a pleasant experience of visiting this place.

Lots of branded showrooms. You name the brand and you will find it here. Lots of offers and planning to visit for Thanksgiving season.
Prasanna Chandrasekaran — Google review
VERY EXPENSIVE!! The only places with reasonable prices with deals was Eddie Bauer, gap, and Francesca.. maybe Nautica too.. other stores are just out of the charts!!
Terrific Tulip — Google review
The outlet is large and has many brands.
Even though there are plenty of parking spaces, they are full on weekends. I spent 0.5 hours walking around and finally found a parking spot! In this case, I would suggest parking your car on the 2nd floor of the parking building, which is near the Levis store.
Amy W — Google review
It’s an excellent place to buy your needs with a discount between 15-20%. You have to check their offers as they may provide extra discounts at different days of the year. But we can’t compare it with Portland outlet as no tax there. Parking is spacious but you need to come early to ensure a slot. Foods , they have food court and other small shops and food is okay.

Seattle Premium Outlets is my favorite place to shop in Tulalip. As a well known member of Tulalip Casino. I have come here on many occasions with my family and Daughters to shop here. This is one of the best places for that in the State of Washington. I have bought at stores like Nike, True Religion & Zumiez. Every store in Seattle Premium Outlets is worth Visiting. I highly recommend this place for all Families. Thank you for the Memories and and Bless the Tulalip Reservation!

06/24/23: the Outlet was great, with a variety of mediums and large branches. I believe the price is always 15-30% discount for clothes, shoes and other items. The parking is ample and the space is enormous. I love coming here to checkout on discount items and enjoy the outlet’s vibe. Also, the food court was good as well
Danny Tram — Google review
All great brands are here. Plenty of parking and food stalls/restaurants. Fun place to visit but weekends can be very crowded.
Deepak Kumar — Google review
There were less people in the morning, but there are many people and hard to find parking in the afternoon. Pro tip: come early. Not many options in food court, but food is good. Some of the shops do have great discount, like Crocs, Kiplin, etc
ZihSiang Syu — Google review
Best to get there early (9-10am). Parking is easily accessible then. If you wait you'll miss out on finding something easy. Good to get your steps in. Seems to be a destination point for those who are coming from out of country. You'll see tour busses bring them in. Some deals to be had there.

Lots of brand shops like Coach, Burbbery, MK, Marc Jacobs, Guess and much more. Also dog friendly.

Nice place for shopping. A little cheaper than in the regular stores. Popular brands are available. We purchased T shirts, goggles Perfumes etc.
The Boeing Future of Flight museum is dedicated to the history and future of aviation. Visitors can explore exhibits covering the history of aviation as well as tours of the commercial jet assembly plant. The museum also has a few fun things to do and see, making it a great place for all ages to learn and explore. The shop is excellent, and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. However, the factory tour is currently closed due to Covid-19.
Was very excited to hear that tours were back! Took a friend visiting from California on the 10:30 tour. Christopher was our great storyteller guide. I've done the tour in the past many years ago on weekends, so it was interesting to see it during the weekday. You can't bring any phones or cameras on the tour. They have free lockers to stow your purses, backpacks, phones, or food. I bought my ticket ahead online the day before we visited.
Terri Nix — Google review
Small but entertaining for a quicker outing. A few fun things to do and see, great place to learn and explore for all ages. Great shop and really excellent, knowledgeable and helpful staff. The robot exhibit was really fun and flying bird simulator was great. I loved flying a drone.
Kristina Spencer — Google review
Despite the factory tour being closed, the backstage pass film is a good way to find out more about the history and operations at this site. It's no substitute for a real tour though! There was a Q&A session at the end which was a good opportunity to ask questions, although some of the answers given weren't very informative.
The museum and viewing deck are good, so this is a good way to spend a few hours just half an hour outside Seattle.
Rohan Muralee — Google review
Went on a Monday afternoon and spent about an hour and half there. Thought it would have a lot more things to look at but there were no factory tours available and some of the exhibits were still under renovation. Staff at the drone pilot and AI stations were very friendly and pleasant. Those interactive stations were pretty cool. The price was cheap ($6).
Worth a visit if you are in the area and you have a couple hours but definitely not a destination like the Museum of Flight. The gift shop was my favourite part of my visit.
Yong Min — Google review
My expectation is to have Boeing factory tour which inspired me long time ago to see how to assemble the big plane. Unfortunately it’s closed due to Covid-19. Spent one hour in future of flight which is so interesting.
Hong Wang — Google review
I was impressed with the variety, quality and engagement of their exhibits. My 9 and 11-year old girls had a blast. Mini robots that do tricks following lines drawn on paper, a drone flying cage, fly a flock of birds onscreen with body motions, eliminate space junk with a computer game, look at mini drones the size of a fly, make up to 6 ping pong balls float mid-air on tiny streams of air, design your own plane by picking features then flying it in a cockpit to see how well it flies (simple enough for 5-year old to enjoy). We probably missed 5 or more exhibits because we ran out of time! Very inexpensive for the hours of enjoyment. Highly recommended!
SeattleDan R — Google review
This is a good place for young and old, not a whole lot to see, we were there about an hour. But it was interesting. Drones (in a cage) and simple motorized cubes that you can draw a path for them to follow, great for kids. We enjoyed the visit, I know there are bigger museums but for a quick “something to do” that’s not too expensive… it was perfect. Just know to keep your expectations low on the quantity of airplanes. There were several coming soon exhibit so it’s looking to expand.
Kelly Downing — Google review
I love this place!
Good news after pandemic they re open tour! It is 45 minutes and you can observe how they make parts of aircraft.
The exhibition is not that big, I wish they make more interactive knowledge share.
Overall, I had a good experience.
Aigerim Madakimova — Google review
Wow! Beautiful modern clean gallery Museum. I also go lunch to be the first group of for the new factory tour! Peter was a fantastic tour guide and had all the information memorized to educate 27 of us in a theater presentation, then bus tour into the factory where these amazing Boeing planes are assembled!
Awesome gift shop to! And sky deck where you can see the planes landing as well.
John Otto K — Google review
Interesting tour but doesn’t get you on the ground floor and up close to the operations to better experience the equipment, parts, processes and aircraft. All observations are from the transport bus or observation decks high above the workplace. Glad I saw it but somewhat disappointed in the distant viewing. Entrance fee a bit pricey for the overall experience. Tour guide and other staff were great!
Bill — Google review
I was surprised at how informative and interesting this tour was (in that the factory tours are currently closed).
The building has many exhibits including hands-on (mostly for youth). There is a drone area that you can practice flying.
You also have access to a roof top, which provides excellent views of Paine Field and has a radio broadcasting the tower traffic.
The best part for us was the one hour presentation, which was hosted by staff . You could ask questions and interact about the history and the assembly process. It's not like the actual factory tour, but it's still very informative.
Wayne O — Google review
Great for kids and adults alike! If you love planes, you will love this experience. I went during the pandemic, so missed the factory tour. Can't wait to go back!
Ishan Sharma — Google review
It was a good tour; could have been better. Although I understand that there are data privacy concerns and that’s why everything is viewable from a distance. I was hoping for more walk around experience rather than just sitting in a bus or watching from a balcony. Still a great place to take your children and let them enjoy the sheer size of the facility.
Anish John — Google review
Was lucky enough to get tickets for this tour that I’d wanted to do for ages!
If you’re a AV geek this place is a must & even if you’re not it’s still very interesting.
Our guide was great & very informative & the whole tour is very well put together & the whole scale of this place is massive.
Book in advance as you can’t just rock up & the whole tour takes about 1 hour 30 minutes I’d say & then you get to walk around the awesome merchandise shop & exhibits & if you purchase the access the viewing gallery too, we got lucky as there was a Dreamlifter there & we saw it departing too
Spencer Moss — Google review
I had a tour and it was very impressive. I booked it online 2 weeks before my visit. The tour is around 90 minutes. I entered the hangar area and visited the assembly line where I saw many planes in production, including two Air Force KC-31s being refueled. Our tour guide was very helpful and friendly. Backpacks, cameras, phones, food, and drinks were not permitted during the tour, but there were free lockers at the entrance. There were no restrooms during the tour, so it's important to hydrate and use the restroom beforehand. The is a sky deck and gallery next to the lobby, you can take pictures of the planes from distance on the deck.
Sheldon J Plankton — Google review
The place is nice overall, the exhibition is nice and that's it, there aren't too many things on display.
The observation deck is impressive providing a breathtaking view of the airport and the mountain ranges surrounding the area.
The tour is fine and nothing more, we were disappointed by the tour and expected much more.
The tour is Including a view of the factory from two high points (observation balconies inside the factory overlooking the 2 parts of the factory) but there is no walking in the factory and there is no watching at what happens in the assembly process up close.
It does not provide the feeling one expects from a tour of the Boeing assembly factory.
I would like to point out that it is forbidden to take pictures during the tour.
Ravid Fathi — Google review
Drove 12 hours just for the Boeing tour and it was totally worth it! We had a great time. Even just plane spotting across from the factory was enthralling. We saw an Antonov our first morning there along with all the amazing Boeing planes. I would also love to see a more in depth tour option. The store is fantastic! Lots of selection and the prices were great.
Amy M — Google review
So you can’t take your phone on the tour so the pictures are just of the sky deck that you get access to with a tour ticket. The tour its self is okay, it’s more of a just a bus ride around the Boeing facility with a stop in the production facility. Once on there assembly line you get an elevator onto an observation deck and can look over the 777F assembly line. The tour is not particularly detailed but if you are interested in seeing jets it is a must.
Phillip Jackson — Google review
Great insight into the workings of a plane assembly plant! Worth it! Although the price doesn’t justify the length of your and our inability to carry phones for selfies at least! From the viewing terrace you can take some good pictures!
Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery is a picturesque estate that produces wine and offers tours, tastings, summer concerts, and food pairings. Visitors can enjoy a quick tasting or relax in the sunken garden. Limited edition varieties are available exclusively at the winery, along with widely available options at great prices. Excellent customer service includes allowing customers to taste before buying. Reservations are recommended for all those in the area who want to experience this wonderful winery.
This is one of the nicest wineries site in WA state. They have some good wines but quite mainstream so usually i prefer wine tasting in smaller wineries around. However, they offer outside concerts in summer which are really enjoyable and fun to attend with family or friends. You can bring your picnic, buy wine at the winery and enjoy the concert that way.

For a birthday surprise I reserved the brunch box for a group of 5. Now when we think of brunch we think of a decently filling meal. Let me first say, overall, this place is beautiful and the service was great! Staff were friendly, quick to seat us, and follow up with any of our needs. The 4 mimosas did not disappoint us! Food wise, for the amount I paid I feel like they could offer more food. We all got one chicken/waffle, one sausage, shared yogurt and shared skillet hash browns. We ordered the rest of the food on the side as we were still hungry. The food tasted great. Literally everything had flavor. I wouldn’t do the brunch box again but I will be going back.

Came here on a holiday weekend and got lucky with a walk in tasting! The whole family did the 2 white and 2 red tasting paired with the flight bites, and everything was so great!
There were two bonus drinks, one at the start and one at the end, and the bartender helping us gave a great rundown of the wines and where they came from. It’s a perfect place to take parents around Woodinville. Definitely recommend!
Kimberly Clemens — Google review
Breathtaking views and a menu to match! The menu compliments the wines with its small but vast variety of perfect portions.
We had three varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon which were different in texture, color and taste.
We also had their Melbac and their white wine. We highly recommend this place.
Next time, we’re checking out the heated domes!
Food:
Spinach Artichoke dip w/hot pita
Duck & fig flatbread
Parmesan fried (huge bowl)

Just a great experience all around. You don't even have to be here that long. The tastings are quick. The sunken garden experience we did was very laid back. Parking is a little on the light side. The prices are great, as their varieties are widely available, but their are limited editions only available here as well. The customer service was excellent, as they will let you taste a few to find what you like before buying. I'd advise all in the area to visit. Make reservations!

Defenetly worth a visit! The place is beautiful and impressive, great way to spend an afternoon sipping on wine.
🍽 Food is OK, I tried their cheese and meat platter, an artichokes dip which is fantastic
🍷 I did a wine flight it was pretty good, I wish they would also give you recommendations on what to order to try your flight with. Wine is delicious by itself but you can also bring out a lot flavor notes by mixing it with food.
👤 Service is great, everyone is really nice.
🛎 make a reservation because it does get crowded
🚻 they have bathrooms
🅿️ they offer free parking inside chateau Ste Michelle

Gotta love the Grande Dame of Washington wineries! ♥️ The breathtaking grounds never disappoint and the majestic Chateau is a gorgeous as ever. Summer Concerts here are simply the best. We’ve experienced many concerts here over the years, but this one was a little different. The security now is top notch. They’ve really got it down. We sailed right through and it hardly felt like we even stood in line despite the full crowd. The wine was delicious, of course, that goes without saying. Fun assortment of food vendors too. Was impressed to see new, private viewing cabanas and additional assigned seating, although I don’t think anything could make me give up my beach chairs and picnic basket! Always a good time at Ste Michelle. Susan Says…the show must go on!

We had a fantastic dinner on Valentine's night at the winery. Nicole Metcalf gave us a table right next to the fireplace. Jake was our server and did a great job. Executive Chef Michael Jordon and his staff put out a fantastic dinner.
Look forward to doing this again

Had an amazing Build Your Own Charcuterie Board session with Laura Lee and Aaron at Chateau Ste. Michelle. Such an amazing and warm team, all very knowledgeable about wine, pairings and charcuterie boards! 10/10 would recommend for anyone looking for a memorable experience in Woodinville.

An amazing experience! James Taylor concert was out of this world good! I think they need to figure out parking and crowd effectiveness though, seemed a bit cumbersome process but once inside love the venue. Give yourself at least 2 hours ahead of concert and go early!!! Plenty of food and wine while you wait in the beautiful venue. Also members get discounts 🥳

Beautiful spot! The winery is an incredible property, including a concert venue with an awesome summer line up. We had the feature flight, which was affordable ($30) and delicious. We got to try 2 of their whites and 2 of their reds, with an additional bonus pour at the end. Although we didn't make it in time for the tour, we were still able to explore the grounds and various spaces inside.

If you are looking to have winery experience in town without driving far, this is the best & most Beautiful property. They used to have a Free walk tour and wine tasting about 1/2 hour, but now not anymore. There are so many great things about it and you can easily spend 3 hours here: you can walk around inside the Chartaeu, wine display & selling areas; outside the entire property: the gazebo, the pond, the vineyard and concert areas. And the parking is free. The Ste. Michelle Brut Rosé wine is about $20, good to grab one and try. Highly recommended.

Very nice venue and not very busy on this dreary Tuesday afternoon. Offers a different tasting each month, with small bites that match the wines.

My jaw dropped when I walked into this place! Endless options and loved the gift shop entrance. We were greeted by the hostess and they asked what we were looking for in tastings. We wanted a variety so we were guided to the Enoteca upstairs. James was our winery host and really helped assist us in andwering our questions and making sure we knew about the different options and tastings. I REALLY enjoyed 14 Hands options from dessert to dinner pairings. My husband fell in love with Erath the pinor. This stop is a must see!

Wine Tasting Series, Part 4
Wineries…in the Pacific Northwest? That would have been news to me if it weren’t for our friends @jnmgoose, @daphae11, and @fred.mougayer. That group of HT Friends (who have coincidentally never been in a room all together…thus far 😉) all recommended that we make the time to visit Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery and are we glad that someone (🫵) finally listened (🤦♂️)!!!
While the “Wine Tasting Series” is a relatively new one, a clear favorite has emerged. I mean, what is there NOT to like here?
The wine selection is extensive (including bubbly options), there is a calendar of live musical performances, their Summer Concert Series features a shocking number of quality musicians, they offer private Chateau Igloos, and they offer a (limited, but) quality diverse menu of food options.
Although we didn’t have the opportunity during our visit, we’d love to experience their “Bubbly Beats Experience” in the future which features curated song playlists linked to specific wine pairings. 🤯
Oh, yeah. We are definitely hoping for a return visit. After all, we don’t always drink sparkling wine, but when we do, we prefer Chateau Ste. Michelle Rose. 😉
And that’s…Henry’s Take.

Had a lovely time there. The tasting was awesome. The grounds are amazing and we had an amazing person to show us and tell us things. Thank you Michelle from customer guest services for telling us about the peacocks that were there and giving us a tasting.
Snoqualmie Falls is a well-known and scenic waterfall, standing at 270 feet tall and surrounded by a 2-acre park. Visitors can enjoy the breathtaking view from an observation deck or venture down to the lower viewing platform. The site is easily accessible by car, located just 40 minutes away from Seattle, with free parking available on the other side of the road or paid parking closer to the site.
Beautiful, picturesque waterfall, next to a hotel. Certainly worth visiting. Make sure that the weather is clear before coming.

Nice falls. Had a great trek on a trail, it is a little steep but worth the trek. The views from top and foot of the falls are great. Great spot for some quite time or just to have a beer river side. Sometimes too many people could make it disturbing but generally it is a peaceful place.

Stunning views! Visiting from out of state and just happened to stumble upon this amazing waterfall. You can view the falls from a lookout above or you can follow the trail and see the falls from below. Ample parking in the later evening. The hike down to the lower viewing was pretty steep. Paid parking right in front but free parking across the street.
Marc P — Google review
The place is beautiful, the trails are expansive, and there is a place to buy gifts and food. If you are going to walk the trails, please be mindful that what goes down must come up. Save your energy for your trip back up, or you will end up very tired. There are a lot of steep parts to the trails, so those parts are not for inexperienced walkers. Please obtain a map or something if this is a concern.

40 minutes by car from Seattle. You can park for free on the other side of the road or park right next to the site for a fee. Today was a beautiful day to see this! Absolutely breathtaking. Some of the stairs are closed off from the upper lot but just walk down a different path and you'll catch the 1/2 mile trail sign. Coming back up might be difficult for some, if you started from the upper lot. I'd recommend parking at the lower lot and walk along the trail/bridge (4th picture) to get to the falls.

Absolutely stunning waterfall. Must see if you are around Seattle. There is a small 1/2 mile trail which is also great if you want to go down the riverside and view the waterfall from a distance.

We visited the falls on our vacation to Seattle. We came on a Friday afternoon at around 2 pm. Had a good amount of foot traffic but not terribly busy. Enjoyed the falls as it is a popular tour destination. Interesting to see its history. Worth seeing if you are in the area. Nice little park area to sit or enjoy a small picnic covered by trees. Nice plants around the area too. They have a gift shop full of souvenirs and books and such. Also a coffee/snack shop with ice cream. We were there for about 1-1.5 hrs. Google maps will take you to a restricted access road. Follow the local signs when you are there.

Nicenplace to walk with your family. Not super strenuous, but you'll breathe harder. Bonus is that there are two parking lot above falls and one parking lot below the falls. Foe the ones above, the lot on the same side of the falls is paid hut the one across the street is free and accesses the falls through a bridge above the road.

Beautiful waterfall that is easy to access. There's a upper and lower observation areas. There is a free parking lot across the street with a pedestrian bridge. Highly recommend to come visit if you are in the Seattle area. Only 30 min drive from downtown Seattle.

Not only is the drive up to Snoqualmie Falls incredibly refreshing to look at, you feel the difference in the air quality of the mountains immediately. This waterfall is absolutely breathtaking!!! The preservation of nature after years of using the waters power for electricity is 👌👌👌
The trail down to the lower falls is easy enough the whole family can most likely handle it ( steady incline on the way back up) . If you have the time to stay or dine at Salish Lodge you can’t go wrong there either.

Lot of parking available and fast moving traffic and the actual falls is about 3 mins away from the parking lot. Great couple views. Trail to downward of falls, is apparently steep and little risky unless you’re a pro hiker.

Beautiful scenery! Simply breathtaking. The view is amazingly calming. For a Saturday parking was bad at all. We paid $8.30 for 2 hours. The only thing is that it’s scan to pay. The waterfall is easily seen from the top and couple other watch points. We hiked down and found a beautiful place where we sat on the rocks and let the kids play in the water . Totally worth the trip!

This is a beautiful fall with hiking trail to go down to the bottom part of the fall. Paid parking is limited on the side of entrance. I will recommend go opposite side and it’s free. You can play water once you reach bottom part of fall.

Such a beautiful waterfall! There is no hike required. There is a parking lot where you can park and pay $5 but it’s limited on space. Theirs some stairs and a few stainless paths to take to the waterfall.

I’m from the east coast. Yes we have Niagara Falls, but the west coast is just so much better. This was one of the most unique and interesting places I have been. I was in Seattle for work but snuck in a few trips here and there to check things out. This was so worth the drive out there. The trees in the area are huge, nothing like what have on the east coast. The falls a big, the sound and mist are very beautiful. If you are anywhere near Seattle make the trip here to see them. The walk from the parking area is very easy. Walking to the bottom of the falls is not. One must be in decent shape to make it down and back up again. Take your time, stop and enjoy the sights, and soak up a little nature.

Snoqualmie Falls is easily accessible, just a 5-minute walk from the parking lot. It’s a free visit and a perfect stop if you’re in Seattle, just half an hour’s drive away.

It was pleasant experience walking down the hill to see dam and riverside. Roads are adequately maintained . In the middle wash room is available. Periodic patrolling was observed by staff. It was good track with dogs and family. View of waterfall was beautiful. Good spot for photographer !

Very accessible waterfalls. Lot of free and paid parking available although sometimes there can be a rush. There is a hike you can do to the lower part of the falls.

As the summer’s warmth gently fades, nature prepares for its grand finale, the breathtaking spectacle known as fall. From the majestic mountains to the serene valleys, the landscape undergoes a magnificent transformation, painting the world with a palette of vibrant hues.

Breathing taking experience during my first visit to this place. Upper and lower falls are so beautiful during all seasons. Parking is free just across the foot bridge. I saw crowd during my multiple visits to falls. It's amazing to know the history of this place. Kudos to the folks who worked hard to build the power plant to get power to Seattle area in those days.

Gorgeous! Didn't have time to look around too much but plenty to see. There were some idiots flying a drone even though there are clearly signs that say no drones. But a Must see if you're in the area!!

Snoqualmie Falls, both by day and night, stands as a beautiful, majestic, magnificent, and mesmerizing 270ft waterfall. Surrounded by lush greenery, it presents a serene yet powerful spectacle. I've visited this waterfall multiple times, enjoying views from both the top and the bottom deck.

In terms of waterfalls it's not that big, but the surrounding nature is very beautiful. There is a paved walkway to admire the waterfall but there is also a moderate to kind of severe hike to the bottom of the falls that is not paved. Just some dirt and rocks and it can get pretty steep at some points.
I wouldnt call it steep to where it's dangerous but it is steep enough to where the average person might have difficulties walking down and return back uphill.
Someone in my group in her 50s did it in flip flops and I saw multiple children so it though, so it is possible.
The hike is totally worth it to see all the trees and wonderful sights along the way.

The Kubota Garden is a magnificent 20-acre Japanese-style garden that originated in 1927. Its creator, Fujitaro Kubota, was a self-taught expert in landscaping who skillfully combined traditional Japanese techniques with native plants from the Pacific Northwest. Situated in South Seattle's Rainier Beach neighborhood, this stunning park features hills, valleys, streams, waterfalls, ponds, and rocky formations.
Beautiful gardens with many paths. We went in April and the flowers were blooming. We even got to see a turtle sunning itself! The park was moderately busy with people of all ages enjoying the sights. I really liked the arrangements of rocks around the various waterways. A few spots were a little crowded with people taking pictures, but that's not too uncommon in places like this. I recommend it for a family walk, a romantic stroll, or a peaceful visit alone.

This place was a random impulse spot I decided to check out with my family.. It turned out to be such an amazing garden to walk through! The trees and flowers were all so pretty! Best part was that it cost us nothing!! I'd certainly recommend to anyone looking for a scenic and casual stroll

What a gorgeous day to enjoy this Seattle treasure. My friend and I wandered with no agenda. Lovely discoveries were around every corner. Maps at the entrance if you want one. The park is bigger than you think, so it's a good idea to grab one if you're on a time budget.

This place is beyond beautiful! Full of flowers, trees, ponds, bridges, fish, and even a turtle. It was so relaxing and not overcrowded! There is no cost to visit and parking was easy. My child still hasn't stopped asking to go again a week later. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

a fabulous garden - really feels like a hidden gem. a peaceful retreat from the loudness of life, there are plenty of little nooks you can find to take a seat and just observe. free to visit, free to park! several picnic tables available as well as various benches hidden throughout for a quiet place to rest. I thought I wouldn't be able to find a restroom beyond the porta potties near the entrance, but I was relieved to see a fully functioning public restroom located closer to the exit.

Great for a midday stroll, but with some mild parking challenges. It's a fancy little Japanese foliage garden with a good selection of plant species.
The garden is on a big slope and there are lots of layers in the foliage. The tall trees surround you with 360 degrees of quiet nature.
I would have appreciated some plaques or pamphlets to learn about the different plants and sculptures, and their cultural significance.

So many trails, so many "rooms", so many passages... so many different experiences possible. I think you could come here a dozen times and have a unique experience each time. Amazing that it's free. Not the greatest Japanese garden but very nice. I'd plan to spend 30 minutes to an hour here. Donations accepted.

This is a pretty Japanese-ish garden nestled in a quiet neighborhood. I visited in Jan on a moody day.
The little ponds with the Koi fish, small waterfalls and winding trails are a nice getaway for a few! I expect that the gardens look better in Spring, Summer and Fall! 😊 It is not a traditional Japanese Garden, but incorporates many of the features.
The entrance is free. Most people we came across wore a mask. The parking is limited. And there are many signs saying car break-ins are a regular thing. So, don’t leave valuables in the car!!

It is a pretty neighborhood Japanese garden. It is free entrance. It is well kept and clean. They build restrooms and picnic table areas. There are many spots through out gardens. It is good size for a walk.

Beautiful and surprisingly large garden with winding trails and some steep parts. A huge variety of plants and it was peaceful when I was there. There are quite a lot of signs warning you to take valuables out of your car but I didn't see any break ins or have an issue while I was there.

A beautiful park that is larger than it seems. Multiple ponds, bridges, waterfalls/trickles, a wide variety of plants & trees, as well as a small forested area to explore. Many things to see no matter the season. Free to visit, but there is a donation box that I would recommend adding to if you're able.

If you want to de-stress, have some relaxing time or just want to have some great time with yourself, this garden is a great place to do these things. I appreciate the signs along the roads so that people cannot get lost. Again, it has beautiful scenery and falls

While I admittedly wasn't getting the Japanese feel this garden is supposed to have, it's still a very beautiful garden that you should stop at if you have the time. There are pamphlets up front to guide you through everything there is to see. If you stop to see everything, this could take up to an hour depending on how to get to the various scenic spots. Overall, it's worth a stop if it's convenient, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to see it.

Kubota Gardens in summer is a symphony of greens. From verdant light filtering though tall maple leaves, to the dizzying array of both carefully manicured and riotous evergreen specimens, this garden in summer offers peace as well as delight. Lean into your curious nature and let whimsy choose your path through these acres. Then come back in fall for fiery colors, and spring for hundreds of blooms. Each season here is guaranteed to offer new delights.

Beautiful and expansive free Park but a word of caution. The place is very large and the maps they provide you with are not very detailed. We finally had to ask somebody else how to get to the exit there aren't many trail markers. A great place to spend a few hours don't expect to get through there in any less time than that.

This was a great place to walk around and enjoy nature. The garden is beautiful and open to the public for free. There was a small parking lot (but there were open spots). I did note that there was broken glass so I suspect it’s best to leave valuables out of sight. There are public restrooms but they are currently closed for renovations. The fall colors are still vibrant. It was very peaceful and picturesque. There are no play structures but many fun places to walk and plenty to see if you are mindful.

Amazingly pretty park. Well trimmed and had a large variety of native greens and also Japanese maple.

Another beautiful botanical garden in Seattle. Easy walking trails and lots of unique plants here. Parking is free, but take your valuables with you, make sure your doors are locked, or at least make sure things in your car are out of sight. Dogs are allowed on leash and keep them on the trail per the garden’s policy. Bathrooms are available on premises. They even offer public group tours (reserve in advance online).

This is an overlooked gem in Rainier View . A small but jewel-like park with a scrupulously maintained Japanese garden covering approximately 15 acres. While it looks small the artfully arranged paths allow one to walk through a series of small and large scenes and vignettes.
We visited on a sunny-ish day in the dead of winter yet because of the preponderance of evergreen plants there is no penalty for the season.
Parking is easy but the lot is not large though the few visitors made this a non issue.
This is a great place to visit, wander, sit and just enjoy a superb little park.

One of the prettiest parks I have been too & there are so many meandering walking paths - it's perfect for a long walk and having some quality conversations!! What I also loved that it's one of the few Japanese gardens that stays open till 8pm!! Perfect to chill after a long work day. This is also perfect for some photo-ops in any season - the tall pine trees, moonbridges, koi ponds and overall landscape make it seem picturesque & remote - whether it's spring, rain or show! Definitely recommend checking it out, next time you are looking to find some zen!

In terms of Japanese gardens, it's not that special. In terms of having it in your neighborhood, it's fantastic to have. Many come here to walk their dogs or have walking exercises. The 2 bridges, the bronze bell with the Garuda etchings are special.

Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge is a protected estuary sprawling over 762 acres, located just outside Lacey/Olympia. The refuge offers numerous trails and an education center, along with opportunities for bird and whale watching. With more than 200 different bird species thriving in the marshes and grasslands, visitors can also spot various reptiles, mammals, and amphibians.
Very nice place to go for a relaxing walk. The whole loop around was 4.5 miles. The trail is all basically flat with minimal elevation change. There is the section from the wooded area to the observation deck where you are on a gravel road. The rest is all a wooden walkway. There are a lot of bald eagles, I seen about 5-7 yesterday and what I'm assuming where juvenile eagles. Then today I seen seals. Tons of ducks, swallow ect. It's a popular area for bird watching and photography. There is a $3 parking fee, or if you have an American the beautiful pass that works too according to their website. I recommend getting the America the beautiful pass if you frequent any national areas.. I'd your a vet or active you get one for free. Just show your ID to the ranger. Good place for all ages!!

This place is a must-see for nature and wildlife lovers if you're in the area! It's very accessible as there are miles of gravel walking paths and boardwalks that take you right over the water. I arrived early on a Saturday and it was packed so be ready to search for parking if you arrive later in the day. People come and go though so it's not too bad. The day parking fee is $3 so be sure to bring some cash. The visitors center is very nice and informational. We saw a bald eagle, harbor seals, hooded mergansers, and a wide variety of waterfowl I've yet to identify. No worries if you don't have binoculars- they have some located throughout the refuge for you to view the wildlife. Highly recommend!!

Took the family here on a beautiful Sunday. It was an hour drive and totally worth it. My kid had a great time exploring the visitor center and there's a little park for younger ones. I walked the boardwalk and took photos of all the wildlife it had to offer in early summer. I saw Bald Eagles, lots of Heron and Tern, Cormorant, and plenty of smaller birds. I even saw a deer in the nearby field! Limited parking, and there is legitimately a chance that if you can't find parking you can't go in. Great fun in a beautiful area.

Spent a lovely three hours here. What an amazing and beautiful place to explore. We appreciated all of the signs along the way teaching about many of the animals at the refuge. This was definitely worth the $3.00 parking fee! We borrowed binoculars at the visitor center. The staff members were all so friendly and welcoming.

Beautiful treasure just outside Lacey/Olympia! We walked the boardwalks, enjoyed the birds chirping, and kept our eyes out for the various plants working on blooms. I’ll be back later in the spring to see the results—
Overall, very family friendly and likely good for those whose physical conditions may prevent hiking on trails. It’s still gorgeous and a way to enjoy the outdoors.
There is a fee to park if you don’t have an interagency pass (like the national parks annual pass). This is federal land, so a state pass won’t do.

The place is super green. It was dried when we got there. It's a wheelchair accessible with little graval. There's public restroom. Once you get to the brackish water, you will experience a nasty scent. There is a fee, It's $3 per person. The only 2 animals that got our attention were a small little green frog and the lonely seal. Parking was free.

Great place for taking a peaceful walk and bird-watching. Cost is very affordable (3 dollars per car). You can also use a national park pass. There are public restrooms and a drinking fountain. A gift shop is open seasonally.
There are some trails near to the visitor center that follow deeper water and are mostly shaded. Near the barns, about a 10 minute walk from the parking lot, are picnic tables and outhouses. You can continue from there along the gravel path to the boardwalk that goes out into the tidal flats. Water levels will vary by the tide. I always see at least a few birds when I come, no matter the time of day!

Always a lovely place to be. Tons of wildlife, we see something new with every visit. Deer, frogs, seals, and an endless amount of seabirds.
The staff in the visitors Center are lovely as well. They will lend you binoculars for your walk if you leave your ID with them - highly recommend! They also have a nice gift shop with local art and more.
To walk the entire trail and boardwalk takes about 1-2 hours depending on your pace.

Beautiful place for a nice long walk! Definitely won't be bored with the views! I would suggest bundling up good if you plan to go around the colder months as I was pretty cold. The squirrels are really nice, and one even touched my finger near the big double barns. Saw so many birds it was awesome. Saw this heron pictured, bald eagles, tons of ducks and other birds that I could not identify.

Our party of six arrived mid-morning on Friday, June 23. Parking was not a problem.
We were a bit warm as we walked the boardwalk in the bright sunlight. The boardwalk is well maintained and wide enough to easily pass by other visitors.
The tide was out during our visit, revealing thousands of little crabs in mud. We saw various birds along our walk and got to watch a group of 6 eagles soar above us.

I've been going to Nisqually for several years, starting back in 2011 when I first moved to WA and then again in 2020 when we came back. There's a decent amount of parking, less on the weekend, and the entrance fee is only $3 (free if you have a military ID or America the Beautiful pass). Small visitor's center with information about the refuge and a gift shop. Well maintained bathrooms. There's a boardwalk loop that goes through the woods around the marshes where you can see birds, deer, bugs, etc in addition to all kinds of plants. A much larger boardwalk goes out over the water where you can see eagles, crabs, seals, whatever. On a clear day, Rainier is visible in one direction and the Olympic Range to the other. Doing both boardwalks comes out to about 4 miles, all flat. Great place for kids, no dogs allowed. It poured on us during our recent visit but we still enjoyed it!

It was New Year’s Day, so it was pretty packed with people. A majority were bird watchers with cameras and binoculars. Others were families with children. A nice long nature walk. Definitely support the reserve gift shop! 🎁 Prepare for hiking! Bring a water, bandaid, and snack(please take your trash with you, don't litter.) Great place to walk with your kiddos. ⚠️ The wooden boardwalk gets VERY slippery when wet, so if you cannot balance or take your time, go on a dryer day.

Great place for a walk and for families with kids to see nature. So many different types of animals, eagles and other various types of birds, frogs, small snakes, etc... Depending on the time and day you go, parking can be difficult, so you might have to find a spot on the side of the road or in grassy areas of the parking lot. If you have kids, recommend to stop at the visitor center and get a pamphlet that engages kids to find various things and animals that can be found along the trail. The staff and volunteers are very kind, friendly, and helpful.

Such a spectacular place! So easy to walk on the trails and boardwalks. It's flat and long. Easy to get a stride going.

Lovely way to spend a day. So many duck and other bird species (saw owls, eagles and heron). Take care on the boardwalk, can be very slippery in spots during the rainy months. Walk is about 5 miles or so RT and parking can fill up on a decent day. FYI, waterfowl hunting is allowed certain months of the year incase the echoing of gunshots bothers you. Spectacular national park! I came during the winter so couldn’t observe the rich diversity of species here but still very interesting to see different types of birds and enjoy the wetlands. The bridge has a lots of signs about the animals here and also marked the land that was from a man who went bankrupt in 1910s and sold the land to US Wildlife.
Highly recommend this park to everyone!

I don’t know if words do this place justice. Just breathtaking. I visited sunrise, paradise, ohanapecosh, and carbon river. My favorite campsite was at ohanapecosh. My favorite trail was pinnacle peak. My favorite pie at paradise lodge was the triple berry. I could write a book about this place!
Some helpful tips: I charged my phone and rechargeable batteries at paradise lodge. There are NO showers within the park so plan accordingly. Visit reflection lake either at sunrise or sunset. If you are going to paradise get there early! Pack in, pack out, and stay on trail.

Can’t miss this if you’re from Washington or visiting! This park exceeded my expectations. Nature at its best! Majestic views! Truly Awesome waterfalls, and very accessible.
The park is extremely well managed and maintained. The hikes are manageable, the roads are well kept.
In summer it gets crowded especially on weekends, so plan to visit during the week if you can. Bring water on the hikes! It gets warmer than you think.
Some helpful tips:
The line at the entrance gets long, like 1hr and a half to two hours! Brutal. Again, especially during the weekend. Plan to arrive before 7am to avoid being stuck in traffic.
Reflection point won’t reflect unless there’s no wind. Usually there’s less wind at sunset or sunrise.
Make sure you reserve a camping spot, those first come first served are gone as soon as they open.
You don’t need to camp inside to enjoy the park. If you want to go last minute, there’s several camping spots right outside the entrance, with decent amenities and you can still spend the whole day at the park!
PS. It’s true what you hear, the berry pie is absolutely amazing!

I don't even know what there is to say that hasn't already been said. Plenty of sights. Trails. Souvenir shops. Lodging. Food along the way. Peace. Clean hikes. We loved every minute of our time here. Just 30 for your car to get in. That ticket is good for a whole week and you can leave and re enter if you're staying outside of the park. We didn't get to go to the summit because of the snow and weather but maybe next time. It was so cool.

The nature is very beautiful, even though I really wanted to see wild flower fields but it didn't specify anywhere which trail to take, where to go to see it. It was extremely crowded, hard to find parking, just two bathrooms at the visitor center, and huge long lanes to wait, could have built more knowing how many people out here. The food is extremely expensive and a very poor choice. Would visit again more prepared next time, maybe will like it more then.

Beautiful mountains, some areas of the park had no fence or something between the road and the cliff, and for someone who is afraid of the heights it was scary so I turned around first chance I had. We went to Mount Rainier through the Paradise/Longmire entrance on November 8, 2023. We got an unexpected three feet of snow the day before our hike. Luckily, it was a clear day and some people from the national guard were also hiking up. They paved a way for us to go up. The views were breathtaking! The snow surprise made the whole experience even better. Will definitely be back to experience the other seasons!

The place is mesmerizing!! Was it worth it? Yes!
The route was a bit scary as there was no fence between the road and the cliff but just go for it and you will be there. We left pretty late so thought of turning back on the way as it seemed far and never ending and assumed it would be too late by the time we reach, but no, there were plenty of people up and they stay up for longer so you are not alone. We left at 3pm and still managed to complete the trip. You have access to so many mountains, parks and you can go for trekking but mind you, we did not find any place to eat so carry your own food and water. Beautiful view with lots of parking space, air is clean and crisp and you will feel at the top of the world, so go for it!

Pictures can’t capture its beauty enough, highly recommend to actually go there! Many view points can be accessed with short hike.

I LOVE this mountain. Absolutely stunning and incredible. Careful about the water in the bathrooms up towards the top of the mountain as is gets so cold it’s dangerous to touch. I hadn’t thought about how cold the water was going to be after I lathered on a bunch of soap and caused really bad nerve pain in my finger for a few days. I have no hard feelings it was my own lesson to learn but for anyone reading this that isn’t aware then here’s your heads up.

Walking paths & driving tours to view moose, American bison & bighorn sheep, plus birds of prey.
This place was a lot of fun. We were on the Sunday, 10:00 am driving tour. The only thing we did not see was the moose. The walking area is great too, many animals to see. They have a kids play area that is pretty nice too. The staff were very knowledgeable about the animals.

Loved it! It was my son 3rd birthday the day we were there! It was mid week and we were there shortly after the park opened. Everything was amazing and we had a blast! The children's playground was pretty magical with a little creek running through and plenty of places to climb! We did the drive tour as well and got to see even more animals! We will definitely be going there much more often now!

Our family had a great time on our Mother's Day visit! We did the drive through adventure and got to see several animals along the way. The tour guide was really informative and made the drive really enjoyable. The park was fun too. It was a really hot day, but there was plenty of shade to keep us cool. Lots of animals out and about, our kids really likes the bear exhibits the best. Only bummer of the day was the Kid Zone didn't have the water feature on, which would have been nice on the hot day. Otherwise, an overall fun day and we look forward to visiting again in the near future.

Great for family and especially KIDS. I had a blast as a solo traveler. I went to attend the "wild drive" driving tour. This tour was great. Saw all 7 wild animals they had to display. This tour is great if you have an amazing zoom in camera because some animals are really far. One thing i wish is we could've stop our car to take good steady pictures. On the tour you always moving around 5 mph. Tour guides are very knowledgeable and throw a few jokes in. Ill def come back again.

Great way to spend the day. Make sure you plan to go earlier in the day because you're ticket will include both a driving tour (about an hour) and walking around the park for your entire car (around 8 people i believe). The trek around had one steep incline but had greatly placed benches all around the park. Not sure this place would be that fun for younger kids as many of the animals are harder to spot, but my 11 year old enjoyed it.

We went April 9th with our 2 boys 3 and 6. we did the 10 am wild tour. The girl that did our drive was amazing. She knew so much info. She talks the whole drive about how it started and about all the animals. I loved her. Then we went inside and did the whole tour inside. 10/10 for sure and will go back. I recommend if you go to go early spring or late fall when it cools down so you see more animals. Its a better cost to pay the $90 that gets up to 8 people in for the tour and the entire park.

Very relaxed visit as there were no crowds. We saw a few animals on the driving tour but not real close. Walking through the shady paths was nice on this 80 degree day but apparently animals are more visible on cooler days. The 6 year old in our group didn't have any trouble walking through the park and enjoyed Child Trek, a kids play area, complete with a small stream to walk in, barefoot of course. Benches available for watching adults in sun and shade.

We did the Wildlife Trek and the zoo/park area on our visit with my mom, my 6 year old, my husband, and myself. Each of us absolutely LOVED it! Somehow we went on a day where almost every single animal was out and active (first rainy day in awhile, if that helps)! The animals were so cool and the trek was absolutely worth it! - Things to Know: •For the trek, buy tickets in advance and show up a tad bit early! Plan your drive accordingly with traffic and possibly road work (which we ran into). •Parking is free for the zoo/park area. •Bring comfy shoes if you do the zoo part as it's quite a walk (but absolutely gorgeous). •If you do the trek, tune into the radio station they tell you to. Lots of info and lots of directions for keeping you and the animals safe. •Look ALL around on the trek! We saw animals everywhere, not just the main focus ones being talked about at the time. •Give yourself time! If you do the trek and the zoo, give yourself time for it all. •Be prepared to see some cool animals! A lot of the animals were "up close" than I've seen at other zoos. •Go into the buildings that are there/open (wolf viewing, kids area, etc.). •Plan out bathrooms (they're all over, but also spaced out). •Be careful where you stop under the Bald Eagle area (bird poop and all that). •There is a bear viewing platform that is amazing! •The cafe is small but good! •The kids park area is pretty big, but super fun!

The ride along (car train tour) is So worth the price, and it INCLUDES getting to go into the zoo itself! This place FOCUSES on conservation, and better relationships with the land we live in and the animals we share this land with! Please please please consider coming here! It's so cool and informative!!!
(I ended up with So So So many videos and pictures of all kinds of creatures, but I think what is super important is to show all the plaques and signs in the zoo, they're educational about the plants, the woods we live in and the different habitats and education on the animals they have there!)
Our lead for our driving tour, I cannot remember his name right now, but he was SO SO GOOD! 🙏🏽🧡
He said he used to visit this zoo/park when he was a child and now he works there, educating on the animals and the land, and he said it felt like he's gone full circle. And I Love that. Thank you so much for sharing you knowledge, we WILL be coming back again!

Did the driving tour, and it was enjoyable. Saw almost everything but 1 species of animal. The moose were "babies" but still gigantic. Hard to take photos as you can't stop. Pricey for just 2 people in the car. You can have up to 6 but it's the same price regardless.
Afterwards, went inside and walked around. Most of the animals were out.
The 2 black bears got into a little scuffle when the little one was drinking the water, walking back to the other side. The big one then chased the little one off after.

Love being able to see local nature. The kids area is awesome now. So much to climb on and slide down. The kids had a blast and all but 1 animal was open out in plain sight. Such beautiful creatures!

We are season pass holders for NWT and have been for two years. We definitely get our money's worth. We go 2-3 times a month. It's a nice change of pace for walks. The play area is a highlight too! I recommend allotting time for the kids to play there! All of the animals are so well taken care of. They do enrichment and extraordinary enclosure maintenance for the animals.
The tram still isn't open which is a major bummer, but they will give you a free ticket for when the tram is open if you ask about it. The new electric tram is scheduled to open Spring 2023. ☺️
Esprit Dunn — Google review
This truly is a great experience but I was very disappointed that we could not take the bus ride around the park to see the Bison and Elk, etc. That's the main and best part in my opinion and it's currently halted until some electric bus thing is installed.
They should have some way to still do this until the electric bus is installed.
Outside of that, it was a nice trip. Most of the animals were out. The cats were still sleeping though. We went from 10am to 1pm. Kids really enjoyed the play area and the food is no badly priced.
Allofus Ra — Google review
This is a great experience and in a beautiful setting in the shadow of Mt. Rainer. I hadn't been here in several years (10+) and I was happy to see it was just as good. Like any drive through wildlife park where the animals are free to roam, what you see is hit or miss because the critters are free to do as they want. We did manage to see a lot of elk, some deer, a few bison, and a couple sheep (the last two weren't even spotted by the guide).
The walking exhibits are also good to see and while still in a very natural setting, are more visible than those in the driving area. It's a great experience for kids and adults alike. It's about a 3.5 hour drive for us, so we likely won't be back for another 10 years or so, but still highly recommend it (it's worth the trip at least once).
Kevin — Google review
We paid $90 for the driving tour. It was a little underwhelming, but cool to see the animals right there. I got to take some nice pictures of the animals during the ride. Having the radio tuned to the host was really good, she gave a lot of good information during the trip, but maybe next time she should get more sleep. I have never heard a presenter yawn so much before...anyway, I found out that $90 also gave us entry into the zoo. This was a nice surprise and made it worth the $90-to do both things. The zoo part has the animals I looked forward to seeing as well. Just remember, the animals like to take naps as well! Sucks to see the wolf sound asleep but he/she needs his rest. I wish the areas the animals are kept in were bigger, but I guess that is the best that can be done.
The staff is very friendly and I am glad we stumbled on this place while out driving. Not sure if I will go back, but it doesn't hurt to see this place at least once. The staff I interacted with seem to really care about their jobs and sharing their animal knowledge with us.

First time I've been back in about 15 years. Honestly, I don't love seeing caged animals, but the animals at NWT are either being rescued, restored, or protected, which makes it much easier to enjoy paying to view them. The only animal we didn't get to actually see was the Wolverine. We will definitely be going back. We walked through the animal park area and then did the Wild Drive. Great place for families!
Reba VanBrunt — Google review
It is beautiful! The sights themselves are amazing and even better with the animals! The tram is wonderful. You get to ride around and look at elk, moose, bison, and more! Then you get off the 5 you get to see the bear, wolves, cougar, bobcat, lynx, and so much more it's an amazing experience and an amazing place to visit!
Cierra Russell — Google review
The zoo was amazing. Do note that it is a small zoo, so if you go, keep that in mind. But the exhibits give you a great view of the animals and the staff are amazing.
I did the drive-thru tour where you drive your own car. It was $110 for my car, which at first I thought was a little expensive. But then I learned that includes allowing ALL people in your car to enter the walking part as well.
I was very happy and felt it was worth it for the family to enjoy the day at the zoo!

Purchased the combo household membership so we can visit this zoo plus the point defiance zoo unlimited for a year! They do offer 10% military discount but you must buy in person. Credit and cash only, no tap to pay.
Took the jeep tour and it was amazing. Lots of information and saw so many close encounters.
Would highly recommend!

This was a great experience. 6 out of 7 species on the drive and a cool walk around the habitats to see predators and small animals. The lead car/tour guide was very cheery and kept the caravan involved. Will go gain.

I love coming here. It's smaller than Point Defiance, but still has a good amount of animals. There are a lot of beautiful trees, flowers, and other plants. The walkways are mostly shaded, so it doesn't get too hot or risk sun burns. There's a great play area for kids when they're done looking at the animals. We only had the fries and ice cream, both were good.
Johnston Ridge Observatory is a visitor center located near the summit of Mount St. Helens, which offers interpretive displays, ranger talks and a gift shop. It is named after scientist David Johnston who was killed by the mountain's lateral blast. The observatory provides stunning vistas of the crater with smoke rising from it, showcasing the unique nature of this mountain.
Amazing views of the crater!
On a clear day you can see the smoke rising and the growing nature of this unique mountain.
There are many trails and walkways in summer.
In winter its a long hard hike and careful planning as its around 14 miles round trip.
The road is gated just after the Coldwater lake, hence the walk will be long and will need snowgear in winter.
Either way in all seasons its amazing!
Neo Xplores — Google review
The Johnston Ridge Observatory is absolutely amazing with the most stunning views. We went with a tour company called Jeff’s Eco Tours and it was such a fun day.

Fantastic view of the mountain. In late April the drive up to the observatory was completely clear, but a few of the viewpoints and all the trails were covered in feet of snow.

This is an amazing observatory. It explains what happened during the 1980 volcano and talks about volcanic activity since then. It has this wonderful 3d model of the mountain that shows you exactly what happened that morning. Plus more exhibits including stories of survivors. And the view is exquisite! We are hikers and have hiked around the mountain, but non hikers can really enjoy the view of the mountain. Everyone should visit this site!

We showed up on a clear winter day, enjoyed the exhibits, and joined in on an interpretive ranger program about the history of Mount St. Helens. The program was absolutely captivating, led by one of the most passionate educators I’ve had the pleasure of listening to. Everyone in the group was so enthralled that we didn’t even notice it had started snowing very hard until the ranger pointed it out at the end, saying “you all were so interested in the story, I didn’t want to distract you from it!”. I wish I had thanked that ranger more thoroughly for a lovely experience.

Enjoyed this view to Mt Saint Helen. Drove up the mountain mid-day on a October brisk Fall day (50°F-56°), do not go up if fog heavy or clouds are low you will not be able to see it. But, make sure winter clothing is on deck (coat, gloves & jacket). At this location it's a scene you must see. If you have trouble breathing or walking uphill be prepared is 4000+ ft above elevation.
Yolanda Simmons — Google review
Worth the drive to reach this observatory, which is named for a scientist who saved numerous people with his early warnings to evacuate but died himself in the 1980 eruption. We visited when there were clouds around the top of the summit, which made the views more eerie. Informative exhibits, take the hike on the trails. Parts of the landscape has yet to recover.

Got there Sunday, just as they were closing (6pm), but had enough time to get some souvenirs. The prices were fair, and they had a nice selection. The views were spectacular! We got some beautiful photos. The roads are well maintained, with some great pulloffs. Keep in mind that they're dark, steep and windy, so don't stay up there too late. This was a "bucket list" item that SHOULD HAVE BEEN on my list - do yourself a favor and put it on yours!

Beautiful spot to get a good look at Mt Saint Helen's, good for all ages an abilities. Once you park you'll have to walk up a hill to the center, but it's all paved ect an wheelchair accessible. There's a little loop that is paved, but has some rough spots. We hiked up to Coldwater peak, was cloudy so couldn't see a lot but was beautiful. Got to hangout with a couple goats while we had lunch

Wonderful. The view you have with My St Helens, there's no words. I was speechless. No pictures or TV can really do justice. If you have the park pass? Then you can go in the building for free. Although that was Labor Day day so check into it. You won't be sorry. All the forest you'll see has come back after she blew. Beautiful.

Amazing beauty. The drive is quite pleasant with many view stops along the way. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Be aware the Ranger talks (usually on the hour) are canceled if the weather is cloudy in the morning, regardless of if it clears up later in the day.

Just wow! We are local Washingtonians, but this up close view of the inside of the volcano never gets old. The drive up is always worth it. Local hint: Get there at 10:00 am when it opens and you’ll have very little traffic and the visitor center will be less crowded, then, on the way back down, about 8 miles, you will see signs for Coldwater Lake. It was a lake created by a landslide with the eruption. It’s gorgeous, has an interpretive trail, and if you cross the shallow creek that is at the picnic area’s parking lot (just at the start of the trail), you can have a large sandy beach to yourself. Bring a picnic (pack everything out). Great day trip from Portland or Seattle.

Me and my husband recently traveled here and it was amazing. Mt. St. Helen's is in bird's-eye view. There is a gift shop on sight if you wanted to purchase some goodies from your visit here. There is plenty of parking and a coffee stand if you wanted a good cup of coffee and a light refreshment. The walk up is really nice and paved. There are also hiking trails available. I would highly recommend going here.
Gateway to the volcano with exhibits like a working seismograph, plus a wetlands hiking path.
Very beautiful place! Very people friendly wildlife.
Trails were spacious & clearly marked.
Sturdy boardwalk over the water was beautiful! Informational boards along the way.
Versatile impact trail if taken at your own pace.

Great visitor's center! Very informative, but interesting, too. Several hands-on things for kids and teens. Our whole family enjoyed out stop and really learned a lot.
You'll find restrooms and hiking trails, but the actual observation deck is a good drive away. Check in to make sure it's open and what the weather is like so that you don't make the drive for nothing
The visitor's center and observatory are pretty rural so plan on getting gas and food in Castle Rock proper.

Glad I stopped! Was headed to seaquest state park but unfortunately they are closed this year. The grounds keeper was super kind and informative while I stopped and asked her about the parks near by. A cute little nature walk about a mile was available to walk. It was a quick stop and super pretty views

The hall wasn't open, but the ranger was available as was a kiosk gift shop. The real draw was the marsh walk, with amazing views of Mt St Helens.

This is a very informative place, where you learn much of the history of the water bodies in the area. The lake, rivers and wetlands have all been drastically changed over eruptions from Helens. There is a single, day use parking lot right as you exit the highway, for Discovery Pass users who simply want to enjoy the wetland trail and not visit the visitors center. There are two larger lots, further in for those looking to partake of the center as well. We were lucky enough to enjoy the wetland trail for about forty minutes, before two busloads of visitors arrived...shortly after 1pm. There are multiple, beautiful spots to pause and take in the bounty and breadth of wetland flora and fauna. I learned about a plant that eats water dwelling beetles through traps in it's root system. On a clear day, you can enjoy distant views of Mt St Helens from the wetland boardwalk.
Dogs who are respectful and on leash are welcome. Our little ten pound putz enjoyed herself.
There are volunteers randomly walking around who will ask if you have any questions. The guy we ran into was knowledgable, quiet spoken and friendly.
The visitors center has bathrooms but none are accessible for only the trail. I highly recommend people check out this natural beauty.

I've loved this place since I was a child. Moved here in 2000. Simple and serene little nature trail just along the Visitor Center that I enjoy walking. Rangers are very inviting. Neat and informative exhibit for those desiring to learn more about Mt. St. Helens. I'd recommend everyone coming here at least once.

A very nice and well kept visitor center. Great key chain selection. You have to pay an extra $5 to see the exhibits and documentary. Its outside the park technically. Very well maintained.

This is a PERFECT outing for littles. The boardwalk loop is about a mile long, completely flat and very accessible (only struggled with one or two little bumps in the wheelchair). Nice educational signage throughout. Parking was abundant when we went, bathrooms were very clean, and there were plenty of places for them to stop for a rest or a snack. The views of the wetlands and foothills were stunning. Keep an eye out for fun bird species! Admission was only $5 and the interpretive center was fabulous. I highly recommend catching the short film if you can. Rangers were super friendly, enthusiastic, and informative. This place really sparked my oldest's interest and now we can't wait to venture closer to the mountain!

The exhibits weren't open yet but there were rangers available on staff in the gift shop, which was still open. This signs on the road leading to the park may have been misleading to some indicating it was closed. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful with all of our questions. This was a very nice facility and the gift shop was incredible with its selection. I would definitely recommend stopping in if you are visiting the park in the future.

Really educational and not that expensive to get in. I really liked the movie that goes over what happened in detail. Beautiful walk around the back. I find it strange that it's nowhere near the actual mountain, it's like an hour's drive away but I'm European and used to everything being close together. Gift shop prices were insane though.

Nice place to stop on the way up the mountain. The exhibits are nice but nothing special. There is an overlook above the building that overlooks the valley. They have telescopes and we could see some wildlife. When we visited they had a volunteer up at the overlook pointing out wildlife and points of interest. There are benches outside and a little gift shop. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Educational and fun. Easy drive from Portland, great way to introduce kiddos to volcanoes.
Mini movie about the eruption is neat and teaches everyone something.
Cool model displays and oodles of learning in the museum. Great gift shop with any kind of mementos you could need.
Plenty of parking and shaded parking too, there’s even an area to walk your dog. Paths are very accessible though there is a small incline to access the loop through the marsh, you could definitely roll it or navigate with cane.
Tables and spots for picnics and if you don’t pack anything, the snack bar is reasonably priced and has caffeine.
Well worth the drive.

Very informative. There is a great view of Mt. St. Helens, but --- only after mid-day. Otherwise, it is backlite and the mountain top fades into the bright skyline. The grounds and buildings are wheelchair accessible. There are two levels, about 5 steps, but there is a ramp also.

Beautiful Visitors Center at Mt. Saint Helens. It provides lots of information before you set out to discover Mt. Saint Helens. The Park Rangers are friendly and knowledgeable. We just had a short stay here for our 8 year anniversary, but my husband and i had a lot of fun staying at one of the treehouses, mini-golfing, going to the aerial park, enjoying the gorgeous scenery, and eating all the good food. The room was very clean and cozy, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were all so very kind, warm, and welcoming. The staff was amazing. From the front desk, the gift shop and restaurant to the amazing guides on the zip line tour. Kelly and Lori were awesome. Overpriced, but pretty much the norm for these kinds of experiences. The guides (Chris and Bella) were great, super friendly and helpful. They did a great job keeping both the younger kids and the adults entertained and happy (and had Venmo tipping options at the end). Multnomah Falls is a picturesque spot that attracts visitors with its striking cascade of over 600 ft tall. The Multnomah Falls Lodge, which was saved from the fire, is now open again through the Interstate 84 parking lot and serves as the best way to visit this beautiful location. The waterfall features an old bridge that adds to its uniqueness and romance, surrounded by nice hiking trails that offer between half an hour to a couple of hours of outdoor activities.
Wow! I have driven by many times but this was my first trip all the way to the top. Beautiful views and a strenuous hike up 11 switch backs.

Tourist Trap. Yes I had a good time. The trail has beautiful views at certain spots. The bottom has the best view of the waterfall, hiking to the top is great but nothing spectacular. This is definitely a must visit place. There is parking across the highway and adjacent to the falls. Parking could be hard to get on a busy day. We went on the new years day and it was packed. There was no parking slots available and I had to park my car a mile away and walk all the way to the falls. But that was definitely worth it. You can hike all the way up and the trail is well maintained. There is a gift shop and small cafe.

Came at around sunset on a Sunday. Was not too crowded and the falls were beautiful. There's a small hike up to the bridge and the bridge itself and onwards is pretty slick and icy, but you shouldn't need to go further than that for views.

Such a beautiful waterfall the Multnomah Falls has. The view is totally worth it if you make out the drive to here. Just be aware that if they get too busy then they won't let you in which we saw happen. My friend dropped us off in the front and went to park his car but afterwards they stopped letting people from the parking lot in because there were too many people. You'll enjoy the view of the waterfall from the bottom or at the bridge. The hike to the bridge is not too bad but the hike to the top of the waterfall to oversee the top edge from the waterfall can be difficult. My wife and I was able to do it but we saw some older couple give up or was very tired by the time they got to the top. The viewing deck from the top is not that big so if they are busy, you'll just have to wait. If you're into hiking or exploring then the hike to the top is worth it. If you're not into hiking then you might like the view from the top because it's nothing too exciting.

You need to reserve a spot online (at a minimum, the day before unless you want a later in the day slot), it’s only $2 per group. Recommend either going to one of the first morning slots or sometime after noon due to the sun. Once it’s overtop, it makes for a glare. It’s definitely busy here. It’s 1 mile zigzag to the top of the falls, to the bridge it’s like .2 miles.
You can see it from the Highway as well.

Always love stopping here. Didn't go up the trail this time or get food.
The associates working in the gift shop were funny and nice.
Train went by while we were there.
The guy's restroom had no water available to wash hands.

One of the longest waterfall in Portland. Short walk from the parking to the base of the fall. Only 5 min hike from base to the bridge - must visit. Plenty of parking sports, gift shop, food and clean restroom at the starting point. I would at least plan for an hour to visit this place to enjoy the beauty! Kids and pet friendly. Drones are not allowed! Last hike from bridge to the top of the fall is only 1 mile but moderate complexity so make sure your knees are prepared for it going up and coming back down. It gets a bit muddy so have waterproof hiking shoes with you if you plan to enjoy the best view from the top of the waterfall. Enjoy!

This is a definite stop for anyone who wants a beautiful pic of an iconic waterfall. Parking is easy and a short flat walk to the gift shop. It's a bit uphill from the shop to the first view point. For most this is all you'll need to get your fill. If you are in good shape, you can take the path up to the bridge, which is your second view point. You'll get a great view of the Columbia River. The last bite point is at the top of the falls. This hike is not for the faint of heart! The sign reads 1 mile but it's all uphill, no breaks. 11+ switch backs that get progressivly longer until you get to the top. I almost turned around but glad I didn't! It's a fantastic view once you get there!

Lovely falls in Pacific Northwest. A pretty easy hike to the top as well.
They have good restrooms , snack bar and a gift shop.
Highly recommend this if you are in Oregon

Beautiful, unique waterfalls with this old bridge, very romantic. You can go here to spend time between half an hour and a couple of hours, nice hiking trails around. Cloudy in the morning but around 9.30 it cleared up. It was great. Went there on a Friday and did not recognize any of the things said about parking, too many tourist etc. also fun gift shop with reasonably priced hats. Was good for us Californians driving up for the weekend 😂

Beautiful falls! Took the Columbia Gorge Express from the Gateway station, HIGHLY recommend doing that for anyone else! Amazing trails, too, and the ice cream was great!

Lovely nature playground! Great views! Bathrooms. Parking. Sign up online for “tickets” $2 to park and enter. No vegan options (only junk food). Clean. Definitely hike to the top of the falls, it’s a steep 1 mile hike with switchbacks and it’s lovely. People of all ages were engaging in the hike but it looked tough on some people.

This is probably the most popular waterfall in the Columbia River Gorge, and for good reason. It's absolutely stunning but can get very crowded at times. Either come early or late in the evening to avoid the crowds of people.

I had always wanted to stop and see the falls every time I had driven by it before and was finally able to stop and see the falls. There were quite a get people there when we stopped late Friday afternoon. The falls are very beautiful and the viewing areas are positioned for the best views of the falls possible.

absolutely beautiful. parking is easy and abundant. you can walk up to a beautiful view of the falls and there’s a walk you can do to get up to the bridge. there is a a gift shop, food and bathrooms located here.
also for the twilight fans - this waterfall was in the background of the vampire baseball scene.

Insanely beautiful! Plenty of parking during the week. Fairly long walk to the falls but very easy and scenic the whole way. Huge gift shop and there is a restaurant and snack shop on site as well. Dogs are allowed but not indoors.

I’ve been to many waterfalls and this is definitely a must see! It’s very unique and stunning. The parking lot right in front of the waterfall is usually always full and you may have to wait for a car to leave. Though there’s another parking lot off of the highway and it has a path directly to the fall. The gift shop is very cool and FULL of things. Definitely recommend going in there.

Beautiful! Possibly the most beautiful waterfall in the US!
Easily accessible for all ages and abilities! If you want you can just drive by it, you can see it from the parking lot. Just a short hike to the bridge and 1 mile to the top of the falls!
Cute gift shop as well!

Stunning waterfall, the water is putting on a big show, streaming from the top of the mountain, going down the river, making people admire the natural landscape. Oregon did a good job making this place safe and welcoming.

What a beautiful waterfall! Just a 30 minute drive from Portland city and you are at Multnomah waterfalls. 5 minutes walk from parking lot to the falls and if you wish to hike up you can go up to the top. There are many parking lots available and their is a Visitor centre with a small cafe, gift shop and a restaurant.

Beautiful location to stop and see the nature. The hike to the bridge is very easy, but can be very crowded. Make sure to get a ticket in advance online to get quick access! They will not let you leave the parking lot to go under the highway tunnel and get to the falls without a ticket, and we did not have phone service in the parking lot and would have had to leave if we did not do it in advance. Easy to fill out online.
Evan Engel — Google review
Visited during the late morning hours in early February, not overly crowded at that time. There is an accessable parking area and ramp for people who may need those types of accommodations. The viewpoint from the bottom of the falls is fairly easy to access, a quick walk from the parking lot, and there also trails to the bridge and other areas around the falls. On site were clean restrooms, a gift shop, a place to receive information from a Park Ranger, as well as a restaurant. This place is absolutely beautiful, 100% recommend visiting, even if it's raining/foggy/cold- the views are worth getting out for.

Stunning and breathtaking. Best thing is that this place is hardly 30 mins from downtown Portland. Scenic drive with views all around, ample parking and a very short trek to the bridge. Even the top of the fall is accessible post a 1 mile trek. It’s one of the most beautiful waterfalls I have ever seen. User friendly trails. Picturesque.
The cafe and the gift shop is cool too with the falls as its backdrop. A must visit place for all.
The International Rose Test Garden is a public garden in Southwest Portland, Oregon, United States. It is 4.5 acres (1.8ha) and has award-winning rose varieties, as well as Shakespeare Garden adjacent with flora mentioned in the Bards most famous works and roses named after characters from his plays. The garden is open daily from dawn to dusk during the summer months.
We when here a few years ago and I absolutely loved it! It's such a beautiful place to walk around and take pictures with the many different types of roses! The fact that it's free is a bonus in my book.

An awesome place to visit! You get to see so many varieties of roses and colors ! It’s very gorgeous and feels so good. Best of all there is no entry free to visit this place. You just need to get parking or can opt for pay by your parking. Do visit this place in jun end types for full bloom. You can easily spend two hours.. there is also a open area where you could plan a picnic with kids n enjoy leisurely the beautiful garden! You can’t get enough pics of the roses !

The garden was an absolute delight. Even though the majority of the roses weren't in bloom yet the grounds are beautiful. You also get a lovely view of the city and mountains. The park is very hilly but has good ramp access. Although the park was very serene, unfortunately, my car was broken into. There didn't seem to be any security or cameras in the parking lot so do not bring any valuables to the park.

Parking is a little hard to fine, but I can guarantee you that this place is worth your patience to drive around for a parking spot.

The rose garden is so beautiful and if you come on the perfect day then it just makes it more amazing. My wife and I came here today and the weather was great. The sun wasn't out yet, it was in the mid 60s and the air was fresh. We uber here so we didn't have to look for parking. The roses here are all amazing and you'll have a beautiful background no matter where you take your pictures. They also have a little Gazebo if you want to sit under there and take photos. The gift store here also have some nice products. My wife got 2 of their purses because she like the roses design. There a bathroom near the gift shop and they also give free tour at 1pm. You cannot go wrong by visiting this place because it's also near the Japanese Garden and amphitheater.

Such a beautiful place with so much to see. Find any colored rose here even tie-dye roses. Easy to access and get around with many places to sit and relax or to take a small break. Very very recommended. Close to the zoo, the children's museum, Japanese garden and a few other places you can spend an entire weekend in and near the area parks.

If you appreciate roses and beautiful gardens with pleasant pathways, and stonework in general, you’ll love the International Rose Test Garden at Washington Park.
This lush, tranquil and large garden setting is a perfect place to get your mind off the mundane day to day whilst taking a stroll or reading a book. I would recommend the summer months til October for the optimal experience as the roses are obviously not blooming in winter through early Spring (not sure why some reviewers were so surprised at this). Parking right now in October is best especially if you’re going on a week day, if you want to have a good experience here and avoid crowds definitely go on like a Monday.
Finally I’d recommend taking your time to fully enjoy the blooms, beautiful greenery and lovely setting, it’s a garden so strolling is best not a place to grab a few choice shots and then be off…

My family had a nice time visiting the rose garden and we will have to revisit again to be able to explore it in it’s entirety. You could easily spend a couple of hours here. They have different sections the roses are organized in. There is the Shakespeare Garden and an amphitheater. It was free to look around, we only had to pay for parking which was around a few dollars. Everything was very well kept, nice and neat.

06/11/23: what a gorgeous And fabulous rose garden!! It has different varieties of roses and they smell SO GOOD! aha, I would say it is an enormous garden connecting to different spaces (picnic areas, Japanese garden, Washington Park) and there is a fine for removing roses!!
There is no ticket and tons of paid parking lots in front of the garden. It does worth a visit and I would love to make several more visits to this beautiful garden

We loved the International Rose Test Garden! It is so beautiful and they smell amazing!! Parking was only $3.50 for two hours, and it was right by the gardens. They have tennis courts, a botanical garden, and an ametheater. People were having picnics, doing yoga, and playing soccer throughout the gardens. It is a relaxing and awesome place to go see.

This is one of the best rose gardens I’ve ever been to. There are so many varieties of roses to choose from, and I love how many colors there are. If you visit Washington Park, make sure to stop by. Lovely lovely lively! Many variety of roses to see and smell. The roses are in full bloom during this time of the year. They were beautiful and scentuous. We went on a weekend so I think there were more people visiting than on a weekday, but can't say for sure as I never been here during the weekday. Parking can be hard to find so you may need to park farther away, but the walk is not bad. There's a free tour, but they're only for a specific time of day. You can also do a self-guided tour. There are restrooms and even a souvenir shop.

The time and care and love put into raising these gorgeous roses is made evident by the luscious lawns and vibrant petals that cover these grounds. It’s well worth a visit, even though parking can be tight on days with good weather.

Beautiful place and garden. Roses were still blooming as of Oct 22. The parking is $2 per hour. I found it easily. It's an amazing place with great views of the buildings as well. The Japanese garden is also closest. A lot of trails around and you can see a bunch of people running, walking and strolling their dogs. Definitely check it out if you can.

Came here to spend a Saturday afternoon while visiting Portland. Very impressive varieties in all shapes, sizes, and colors. You can easily spend 1-2 hours just walking around the many varieties. They allow you to walk along the rows, trusting you won't touch the roses or bees pollinating the flowers. Basically, leave no trace behind.
There's different sections from the test garden, gold medal garden, Shakespeare Garden, climbing roses, miniature roses, landscape roses, shrub roses, grandiflora roses, floribunda roses, etc... Even if not a rose or flower expert, you can easily appreciate and learn about the many different varieties of roses. Definitely worth the free cost to walk around the roses.

So wonderful! I love the rose snow ones in the summer, but year round the whole place is gorgeous. I wish there were more sheltered spaces so people could come and enjoy the view in the winter months, but it's a cute spot! The Portland Japanese Garden is a tranquil, peaceful space with features like a waterfall and teahouse that offer stunning views of the cityscape. The garden is composed of five different styles of gardens spread over 5.5 acres and offers visitors a chance to learn more about Japanese culture through displays and activities.
You should definitely check out this Japanese Garden if you're in the area because it is totally worth it. You have to pay an admission fee to enter but it's not a lot and you're supporting the garden. You have to take a small hike to go to the main entrance but it is well worth it. They have a little cafe here but there isn't a lot of options so just be aware. The view that you get of the waterfall, design and being with nature is wonderful. You can spend a good 30 minutes just walking around and enjoying your view. There are also workers around the garden as well if you need help or someone to take your picture. We really like the main little waterfall that they have here. Parking is not free I think so just be aware that you might have to pay for that as well. They have a little gift shop where my wife got an earring from. Just follow the pathway and you won't get lost.

The garden was beautiful! It was a little smaller than I expected, but it had nicely paved paths, nice spring blooms and a peaceful vibe. The queue for the Japanese cafe inside is super long, so make sure to reserve your spot first thing when you get in. Would be even more beautiful if the cherry blossoms weren't at the end of their bloom.

Definitely worth a visit! It was super peaceful and so beautiful. They have tours there but it seemed like most just walked through on their own. It’s not huge so you can get through it somewhat quick so take your time. The paths are uneven but there was a sign saying they did that on purpose so you would be forced to take your time. It’s all very intentional which is super cool. All the sounds of nature are really pretty and it’s well groomed. Bought our tickets ahead of time so we got in pretty quick at our allotted time. There is parking up top and I think it’s a couple bucks an hour but we just walked our way in. I’m sure the parking fills up quick though. There’s a nice little cafe and gift shop and information center at the top before you walk into the garden as well. The gift shop was cool and it seemed like the cafe had some authentic options.

At first I thought the price for entry was a bit on the pricey side, but I think it was well worth it. The garden was very peaceful and relaxing. Went in the morning when it was still cool and crisp out. The sounds of the flowing streams and the few small waterfalls while staring at the zen garden make all the difference. 10/10

The Portland Japanese Gardens extraordinarily beautiful. I happened to go when it was a perfect day and I enjoyed every aspect of it. I read some complaints about the hike up, but to that help to segment the garden to its own world. The gift shops were really awesome. There were a pretty large variety of items to purchase. On top of that there was a showcase of art right next to it. The garden itself has multiple sections to walk through. Each segment had its own unique identity. Truly my only complaint about the garden is one it’s entrance fee and two it’s size. I felt that for how small it was the fee was not up to par. If it was bigger I’d honestly be completely okay with how much I spent. Though I wouldn’t let that deter any new newcomers because it’s still an amazing experience.

Walk into a place of tranquility and rediscovery. This is oasis hidden among the city. A leisurely walk through the garden will put your state of mind of calmness and escaping the day to day. The views are beautiful. The bonsai trees are a very welcoming addition. Go from place to place and see what a bit of meditation can bring around. Take in the air in its purest form. This is definitely a place that I'll come back to visit again. Gift shop, restrooms, and a fairly decent sized restaurant. There are plenty of customer service attendants walking around if you do have questions regarding the area. Go by and see. Look into your own personal life and see what happens.

Beautiful, of course. Can't take in outside food or drinks. There is ramps in places, but a lot of stairs and uneven ground. Lots of benches to stop rest or take it all in. Think fall would be the best time to come and enjoy the mapels showing off and a nice chill in the air

Our early October visit to the Portland Japanese Gardens provided us a monochromatic view of the beauty of the gardens. Having read some of the Google Maps Reviews, we saw how other visitors have contributed photos of beautiful gardens full of color. We missed that season by months, but that didn’t take away from our visit. We were fascinated by the textures, the variety of steps, the water. Even though the clouds were low and it began to lightly rain, it didn’t distract from our visit.
We did take advantage of the free shuttle to the top of the hill and enjoyed our stroll down.
There are no restrooms by the entrance; they are at the top of the hill.
Would love to return and visit during the other seasons.

This is an oasis in Portland. The grounds are meticulously kept, and the buildings are beautiful recreations of historic Japanese structures. There are tours offered, a gift shop, and a modern tea house on site. However, it was an hour and a half wait on the Sunday we visited, so we had to skip it. It is a hike to get from the shuttle drop off area or parking to the top of the hill where this resides but there is also a free shuttle back and forth from the top fi you need it. Limited options for refreshments: On Sunday afternoon we went, I was informed they had sold out of water, but there were a few water fountains available. The bathrooms are nice, and the garden areas are varied. Your experience may be affected by others who don't understand keeping their voices subdued in tranquil and relaxing settings. There are plenty of small seating areas to enjoy some snatched privacy or the views. On a clear day like we had you can also catch an amazing view of Mount Baker in the distance towering over the city.

This place is beautiful! Very relaxing and amazing place to take pictures. My girls really enjoyed the fish and site seeing. They have a Cafe restaurant, a gift shop, a learning center and bathrooms. The walk is not crazy long but it took is about 1 1/2 hours to go through it all. Most of it is up hill , with some leveled areas. If you have never been it's definitely a place to try out.
Parking was tight lots of people on a Sunday. You have to pay for parking and then line up to pay the entrance fee. Children 5 and younger are free.

What a great start to our weekend Portland trip. The grounds are beautiful and so well maintained. It took us about 1.5 hours to wander the grounds. The only feedback I would give is that when I researched the garden before going it did not mention that there is a bit of a hike to even get to the garden. I navigated it fine but I could see this being an obstacle for others.

This is definitely one of my favorite places in Portland and one of my favorite garden spaces in the country. What a gem of a space. Definitely sign up for a tour as it is time well spent getting the background and history of the space and learning about all of the thoughtfulness and intentionality that went into this beautiful space. It was great to catch a tea ceremony demonstration and to have tea in the tea house at the end. This is one place in Portland I will plan to visit on every trip.

It is best to arrive early to avoid the crowds and truly soak in the serenity. This was my first time, and even at 11am on a summer Wednesday, there were lots of people on the paths. There's a lot to enjoy from the bonsai, trees, bushes, bamboo, coi fish, stone pathways, streams, and gift shops. It was inspiring to consider some of these designs for my own garden.

Probably THE Most popular tourist place in Portland city. Claimed to be the biggest Japanese garden in north America. True to the fame, the garden is really well designed and staffed. Beautiful view throughout the year. Often you can find surprise local Japanese capture presentations at the site for free. Also right next to the Japanese garden is the beautiful rose garden. so lot of things to do there. At the top of the hill, some time it could get chilly. Bring a thick jacket if needed.

The Portland Japanese Garden is a serene oasis that offers a tranquil and beautiful escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. As you wander through the paths, you’re greeted with meticulously maintained landscapes that showcase the art of Japanese gardening. The attention to detail in every aspect of the garden is remarkable. It’s a place where you can truly appreciate the changing seasons, each bringing its own unique beauty. The garden also offers lovely views of the city, adding to its charm.
The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, contributing to an overall welcoming atmosphere. It’s a perfect spot for contemplation, photography, or simply a peaceful walk. A visit to the Portland Japanese Garden is a must for anyone looking to experience a slice of tranquility and beauty.

If you're out in Portland visiting, I highly recommend coming here! It was raining when I went, but I was still able to see everything the garden had to offer. The views are absolutely breathtaking, and there's enough to keep you occupied at least for half of the day. It wasn't too crowded either and very peaceful to walk around the garden. There's a decent sized parking lot, but you do have to pay. Also, you do have to walk uphill and climb a few stairs to get to the actual garden as a fair warning. But I had a great experience and would come back again!

If you’re coming here you probably have an interest in Japanese gardens or wanted a pretty place to be in nature whether by yourself or with friends and family, well I have to say it was indeed beautiful.
I’d say if you were to really speed run the sites you can walk through the whole park in 30 minutes to an hour but considering we should be mindful of the details that go into this beautiful garden I’d say if you’re an adult you can properly take in the sites and surroundings in 1.5-2 hours. So many small details and signs of beauty you would miss if you hurry through.
It was a great way to spend the day, it was gorgeous and I really did feel at peace here while trying to be mindful of the work the staff put into maintaining this beautiful garden. On a clear day there’s a wonderful view of Mt. Hood? And you could spend much longer than 1.5-2 hours there if you chose to do so. You can walk up from the entrance to the main gardens or there is a bus and or parking that can get you up to the main attractions (I think). There’s also an area in the gardens where they hold exhibits, the current miniature exhibit (as of 02/24) was great and interesting and I’d recommend checking it out as well.
There were no real negatives but I’ll list out what I wish I knew, as of now (02/24) the koi aren’t out in their usual numbers as they are doing something to keep them healthy until spring time comes in. And the traditional tea house is not what’s generally open to the public but a place where you can take photos of and walk by. I’m sure you can reserve a tea ceremony somehow, but I was excited to drink tea in a traditional tea house and didn’t realize the tea house/cafe on site was more modern (yet good and welcoming but not what I was hoping to do while here).
Overall it’s gorgeous, a good time and when in Portland I’d recommend checking it out for sure, even in the winter (02/24) it was gorgeous and I can’t wait to experience this place during the different seasons!

We went 3/24 - the cherry blossoms were gorgeous and in full bloom, along with the camellias and magnolias. It was a wonderful stroll but definitely not very accessible, lots of stone pathways and rocky slopes. I would also suggest putting your name in for the cafe when you first get there - you can then enjoy the garden and have tea after as there is usually a long wait it seems.

I've been to the Portland Japanese Garden twice, once with a buddy of mine and then again with my partner. It's such a tranquil environment to spend some time in a controlled and well-organized mixture of culture nature. The garden itself isn't huge and you can explore a lot of it in a couple of hours, but I would recommend taking your time in viewing the scenery and experiencing the places with all senses possible.
If you're able to go on a weekday, it's especially well worth your money, as there are less people and you can enjoy the calmness of the environment. My partner and I went here on Valentine's Day and had an amazing first part of our day. It can get distracting and hectic here on the weekends with more people and a lot of kids involved, which I feel can be detracting from the place, though they do a good job attempting to combat that problem by setting a limit on how many people can enter at a certain time.
The garden is different during all four seasons, and now my partner and I want to experience all of them together. There are a lot of reasons to go back besides that, though. It's a nice way to spend some time and decompress while still being outside and feeling productive. They have a cute little café and gift shop. Employees are kind and knowledgeable, and they look happy to work at this place.

Our visit to the Portland Japanese Garden was really nice. Walking through the garden felt like stepping into a peaceful place, far away from the usual hustle and bustle. The paths, the well-kept plants, and the calm atmosphere made our time there very enjoyable. The Umami Cafe offered We especially liked the small ponds and the view. It's clear a lot of care goes into keeping the garden beautiful. Adding to the experience, the Umami Cafe offered great-tasting tea and pastries that are definitely worth trying. We had a great time and definitely recommend a visit.

Wrapping 2023 in a peaceful and tranquil place. As soon as you walk in the garden you feel relaxed and your mind quiets down. Everything looks so green and fresh in the rain, I’m sure that spring time is gorgeous with all the flowers, I will have to go back to check it out then. There is a little cute shop when you get to the top of the gardens and also a miniature sculptures exhibit. On a nice clear day you can see mount Hood. There is enough parking space but you have to pay for parking, and of course a restroom on premises.
The Oregon Zoo is a large zoo with many different animal exhibits. It is focused on promoting conservation and has many endangered animal species.
Went on the first of January and they still had some snow from the week before but all the pathways were very well cleaned and salted. Couldn’t see some of the animals because of the cold I guess (it was a 27° kind of day). Some staff giving out some good information here and there like in the polar bear place. Cute Christmas lights all around and enough coffee and food shops. Some fun places for kids all ages to play around too. Totally wheelchair and stroller accessible.

07/08/23: the ticket is $24 per non-membership adult, and I thought it was a little bit expensive for a zoo ticket. However, the zoo experience did not disappoint me, and I enjoyed every minute of there
There are tons of animal shows which are at 11:15 am and 1 pm. We visited on Saturday morning, and it got crowded quickly with parents and children.
The Oregon Zoo is completely beating the Seattle Zoo in many factors: animal diversity, sceneries, and food trucks. I would love to be back soon

fun zoo the pathway is a little confusing sometimes and did cause us to backtrack to see the penguins. By far the coolest seal enclosure I've seen. the elephants seem well taken care of with lots of space compared to other zoo's. we went on a very hot day so some of the animals were away which I cant blame them one bit. overall good zoo experience. we have a 2 year old that almost never got out of her stroller cause she was tired and the zoo is very stroller accessible.

It's worth the membership.
I have a toddler and anytime we need an activity this is an easy go-to. The animals are well treated, the staff is decently friendly and, more importantly to me, trustworthy.
Twice I've lost items that were sent straight to the lost and found by the time i exited the park.
Plan ahead! See any of these viewings and you won't be disappointed:
Penguin feeding, Bird show, Elephant bath
You can also pet goats in the mornings, if you're into that sort of thing.
My toddler loves the train ride! It's super short and you won't see animals, but we always enjoy a little choochoo ride.
Find the harbor seals and the otters! They are my personal favorites.
I'm adding some holiday zoo lights photos as well.

This is definitely one of the most unique zoos I have every been to. It was beautiful with huge enclosures for all of their animals. I was especially impressed that you can see the animals pretty much anywhere they were in their enclosure. There are several ways to view each enclosure so you can be sure that you will get to see almost every animal they have. When we arrived at the zoo the bear cubs were high up in a tree and you could see them from the front gate. That was pretty awesome! My favorite enclosure was for the polar bears. They were playing in the water and were the most active I have ever seen polar bears in a zoo. There appears to be a lot of enrichment for the animals at this zoo and they appear to be pretty content. While we were there I would say we saw 95% of the animals they have which is pretty good in my experience. Usually there are animals put away or in areas that you cannot see. The way the zoo is laid out is really nice as well. We were there on a Tuesday morning in April and the zoo was fairly empty. It was really easy to get around and spend as much time as we wanted at each animal enclosure. I would definitely recommend going to this zoo if you are near Portland.

With a membership it’s a steal! Me and my kid and their friend were free. Only 21 for my boyfriend. Today was extra special because my daughter got to see her favorite animal -the cheetah up and close. We also saw an elephant playing with toys and numerous other animals! This zoo is a beautiful place set with numerous walking paths through wooded areas. A little water fall along the path and plenty of areas where kids can play. Good eats and you may also pack your own food. Just a word of caution…it’s very stinky in the area of the penguins and bats, so plug your nose! My kid wanted to leave immediately and I was hoping she would stay to watch the penguins more. Enjoyed the carousel and watching the train. You can easily spend all day here! Also, FYI the bathrooms near the elephants have more stalls than the front. If you need to go, that’s where you go!

This zoo was nice...I could see all the animals. When u get there....u need to get a parking ticket. Price is determined on how many hours u are gonna stay. Then I noticed that I needed to buy my ticket online so did that by the entrance...very fast...done. I enjoyed the zoo even though it was raining this day.

Wife and I had a great time at the Oregon zoo. It was amazing to see the Polar bears. The zoo keeper calling them so that the public could see. They have a great structure in the zoo. Nice food (must try the elephant ears), great washrooms, lots of places ti site and take some rest. You can see the animals are well cared for. The gift shop is also a great stop, with lots of sustainable gifts. Staff is very polite and helpful.

A bit pricey at $24 per person, but overall a great experience. We visited on a Sunday and even with timed-ticket entry the zoo was crowded. There were multiple animal "shows" like scheduled feedings that were fun to watch. Very well planned walking path through the zoo, so visitors can view an animal enclosure from all sides and multiple angles.

Our family loves visiting this zoo. Besides normal visits, throughout the year, the zoo hosts fun events, like zoo lights, zoo nights, Halloween, etc. Our son loves looking at the variety of animals, especially the ones he has particular interest. The zoo also has a train he loved riding on, which does cost for each family member to ride on. If you plan on visiting more than twice I'd recommend getting an annual pass. Also, keep in mind you'll need to reserve a time slot before arriving. A great place to enjoy any time of the year!

This zoo is a really fun place to take your child. I've also taken dates here in the past and that was also fun. There are so many exhibits to see and interact with. Plenty of statues, and photo opportunities. The only problem I had was how expensive the food and drinks were. If I could give you one piece of advice it would be to bring all of your own food and drinks. You are allowed to bring your own so take advantage of it and do it. The zoo is already expensive unless you are low income and can show you receive food stamps or TANF. The elephant exhibit is amazing and I suggest seeing it.

Best medium sized zoo I've been to. The winding paths and elevation gains and losses create an adventure walk. Everything seems very well designed, organized, and enjoyable. The one way design makes navigating the crowds easier. Lots of food options about half way through is great. Elephant ears were a hit and we enjoyed the lunch we packed under a 4 bench picnic table with an umbrella. It was a workout making our way back up to the entrance. If we had more time, we would have enjoyed the train ride. Plan to go back if in town again in future.

Beautiful zoo! We went in late summer-early fall when the zoo was full of gorgeous flowers and plants between the exhibits which made for an amazing nature walk. The animals seemed well taken care of and happy. Fairly easy parking available with a lot of restrooms throughout the zoo and even free water filling stations which were nice on a hot day. They also have places you can buy lunch, dinner, etc; however, it is pretty expensive. For a water be prepared to pay $4+ and I believe a pb & j was pushing $7-10. You can bring your own picnic stuff though so come prepared. We didn’t make it into their store to shop as the day went by too quickly and we ran out of time. Check-in was simple with a quick scan of our mobile tickets. The online ticket situation was a bit confusing as they didn’t make it clear with the timed entry if that meant you only had a certain amount of time to be inside the zoo or they just wanted an idea how many people where inside. We were never told we had to leave in a set amount of time which was nice as the zoo takes several hours to make it through. The paths were clearly marked, they also have a zoo map available online and we also rode the zoo train that was fairly priced and our younger child really enjoyed it. Note there are not many animals you can see other than than elephants if they are where you can see them. It was a great family outing and we plan to go back again in a few years.

We did the Zoo Lights event! It was very well organized, free over flow parking with free bus ride to the front gates. There were some concession up with things like kettle corn, and elephant ears. The train ride is fun and you get so see even more lights. They do an amazing job getting so many lighted displays up. My 5 year old daughter really loved train and the trees that were wrapped in lights. The bug house was open for warming up and for viewing bugs. Most animals were not viewable, but elephants are awake at night and we were able to go to the indoor viewing area. 3 elephants were in their playing and eating! The keep was setting out hay bales to reach for and eat. It was wonderful.
It was sold out… but felt a bit crowded for my liking. Our group worn fun Christmas lights and it made it easier to keep track of each other with so many other people around.

Went to the Oregon Zoo with family. Age range from 65 to 1 ½, with stroller.
Nice February Sunday afternoon. Everyone had a good time. A lot of the activities / informative shows were not in operation. Some animals were not visible, hibernating or just hiding. We still had an enjoyable time
I definitely recommend.

first of all this zoo is amazing! not only do the animals looks happy, it’s a gorgeous place to walk through, but what we really noticed the most was the staff! The staff were so vibrant and happy to share their love for the animals they care for. Every staff from the gate entry to the custodial worker were happily talking about the baby bears that were out that day! We had a great time and can’t wait to bring our family here!

Amazing experience! So many animals to see. Easy walking with all paths paved. Purchasing tickets online is easy. 3 hours was barely enough time to scratch the surface of what this Zoo has to offer. Early morning is best to avoid crowds. Will be back!

I felt this zoo is underrated and should be more famous. The setting is beautifully done and each animal is given a lot of space to move around unlike the typical zoos. Probably this was the reason, every animal in here was actively moving around rather than lethargically lying in a corner. This makes it a fun experience for adults and kids alike. There were also some unusual exhibits like - Vultures feeding on a whole deer carcass which you can view at your own discretion, a beaver who has an underwater home inside a tunnel, weaver birds busy weaving pretty nests, playful otters, a mountain goat and much more. It's divided into ecosystems like African savanna, Polar passage, Primate forest, Great Northwest etc. There are other interactive experiences at different times and also a zoo train for five bucks. We went two hours before closing and had to rush through everything to complete on time. Ample amount of paid parking available.

You can be Around 10am or 11am is perfect and you could see Wild animals shows. And They feed to animals that around noon or 1pm. You can see them how to eat and enjoy the meals. Restrooms are clean mostly. Cafe and restaurant are pretty ok and little bit pricey. Parking lots are big but sometimes overcrowded. Summer time Friday and Saturday are busiest days. Sunday is little bit less people. But still busy. Animals mostly are happy and napping all the time. They seemed to clean up cages a lots. Kids have a great time. Best family time in Portland Oregon.

Wonderful place for an easy and sweet date! We have a membership and popping over for a quick visit is so relaxing. Consider visiting on a hot day. Our last trip was over 90 degrees and the zoo was pretty empty. They set up misting stations and have cool drinks and plenty of shade. We were able to enjoy the trip without overheating!

Wow what an amazing zoo! The amount of trees and shade is wonderful on a hot day, the animals had a lot of room to roam and looked very healthy, and all the facilities were well kept.
We came on a Friday morning when they opened. We bought our tickets via mobile phone maybe 15 minutes before we entered prior to getting into our car to drive there. There was still a decent amount of availability. Entering was easy with the QR code we received.
We saw some otters, bears, went on a merry-go-round, and had a blast!

We really do have a nice Zoo. The animals were all out and lively. The Red Panda was so adorable, I didn't get pictures, though. The Lions are just so majestic, I dropped everything and took pics of them.
However, the so-so food is really over priced, and they close way too early. They wouldn't let us go into the gift shop 30 minutes before closing. We were ready to overspend in there, but they were more concerned with closing the doors on time. That's fine. We will just bring our own food next time, and go earlier I guess.

The Zoo is a everlasting source of joy, offering year-round fun for all ages. With kids in tow, our visits are never hurried, and that's part of the charm—we always discover something new every time we visit.
Having cherished memories of this zoo since my own childhood, I've witnessed remarkable changes. The upgrades and new exhibits have transformed it into a captivating space. And let's talk about the Zoo Lights—it's a must-see! While there may not be many animals on display during this event, the breathtaking lights make up for it.
The Zoo Lights experience is pure magic. The dazzling display creates a spectacular atmosphere, and the best part is, you can go at your own pace. It's a mesmerizing journey that adds an extra layer of enchantment to this already fantastic place.
In summary, the Zoo offers not just a fun time but also a touch of magic, especially during Zoo Lights. The upgrades and thoughtful additions have truly elevated the experience. Highly recommend for families and anyone seeking a delightful escape!

I love this zoo. It is constantly improving. I've been going to the Oregon Zoo for 30+ years. It was fun to spend the day reminiscing about the way it used to look. Where the entrance used to be. What animals and events I'd been to over the many years. I love the knowledge of the volunteers and the friendliness of the staff. The animal enrichment keeps the animals rewarded and engaged and is so fun to watch. Membership is worth the price.

First off, I really liked the loop design where you follow a one-way path all the way through. The exhibits are organized into biomes, and the Pacific Northwest part was my favorite due to the shade and tree coverage above the walkways. Good and semi-reasonable priced cafes at the entrance and exit. Also plenty of restrooms and water fountains throughout.

The Oregon Zoo is absolutely amazing. I especially appreciate their elephant habitat. It is absolutely huge compared to any other zoo. They do a great job at providing their elephants with space. There is an enormous indoor space for when it rains. There is an elephant size pool, deep enough that the elephants can actually swim. The enclosure wraps around a significant portion of the zoo. Elephants can range quite a distance. Zoos are always a bitter sweet experience. Seeing such a large variety of majestic wild animals in one place is a great educational opportunity. On the flip side seeing the animals confined to enclosures instead of ranging freely in nature is always a bit sad. The Oregon Zoo does a great job of balancing the quality of life for their animals against the ability of the public to view and experience the animals.
Daniel Green — Google review
I was impressed. One of the most beautiful zoos I've been to and the high quality of animal care was apparent. We saw some playing tigers and bear cubs, a young orangutan, and something I'd never seen up close before - sea otters! The interpretation was also good at noting conservation efforts for the species and how guests can take action themselves.
A few critical notes. The zoo key felt like being robbed since the machines were hard to locate and rarely worked. We also were turned off by the large cutouts of cartoon animals stationed around the zoo. I think they were going for a fun whimsical take on wildlife, and sure, art is subjective, but our group found them to be rather undignified and running counter to the zoo's apparent goal of encouraging respect for animals. The other upsells like the carousel and train were also pretty underwhelming.
All in all a good visit and worth taking a look. Just please be respectful and kind when observing the animals!

Loved loved loved!! Absolutely amazing how the zoo felt like it was part of the natural landscape. Amazingly curated of animals with educational information to learn more about the individual animals and its species. The way the zoo flows just makes sense and keeps the flow of people moving.
(*only thing I would say is don’t go in a colder day because some of the animals were not out to see)

The Zoo lights during Christmas holidays are very nice, they did a great job decorating the beautiful lights in different animal shapes, and the big Christmas tree at the entrance is very cool. We enjoyed walking around in the park and seeing all kinds of animals lights. Definitely a good place to go at night with family and friends to have some holiday fun.
Prepared for big lines for the train rides.
Wish they have opened more areas, it feels smaller than before.

Love the Oregon Zoo! One of the best zoos I've had the pleasure of visiting. Just went last weekend and got to see the polar bear, red panda, and a baby rhino! Fantastic activity on a nice sunny day.
Note: parking can be a headache when the Zoo is busy (usually on sunny days), so I recommend either getting there early or being prepared to park farther away and take the free shuttle in!

Had a wonderful time touring the zoo with the family. Got to see almost all of it in an afternoon. Even stopped for an elephant ear treat. We loved the exhibits. It’s nice to have stops along the way to walk in for air conditioning.
Would love for their to be more dietary options, especially for Gluten Free people. My husband ended up not eating anything because he didn’t want a salad. Lactose free ice cream options too would be awesome! We love the zoo and will continue to be members!

Pleasant stroll through a ni E well maintained zoo. The animals seemed well taken care of and they had a little of all the main zoo animals. The elephant portion is huge and I guess they're known for their elephant program. Swing by on a weekday, not as big if a crowd.
The Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum boasts a collection of historic aircraft, including the world's largest. Visitors can also enjoy a water park and 3D theater. The museum is staffed by friendly volunteers who provide an entertaining experience. While the admission price may seem high at $20 per adult, it is understandable as the funds go towards restoration efforts. Overall, it is a great place to explore aviation history and learn about incredible airplanes and space technology.
Okay. First, this place is awesome. A lot of history and interesting information, as well as many famous and incredible airplanes and such. The space side was even better. The volunteers were very nice, and we were well entertained. My only gripe is the price. And while I understand the importance of them making money to fund the restoration and everything, $20 an adult seemed high. $15 seems better, but I'm splitting hairs. No regrets, and my wife and kid enjoyed it!

We're lucky to have the air and space museum so close to us. Each time we visit, we always find something that we missed before. With plenty of great planes on display, the Spruce Goose, and the space museum next door, you could spend a day here easily. Staff is friendly, helpful and informative. There are snacks and a gift shop and a free water jug if you get thirsty. The facility is layer out nicely and a self tour is easily achieved.

This is a very interesting place to visit and it is appealing to all ages. There are airplanes hanging from the ceiling and a few small amusement park type rides for the kids to enjoy. They had a pretty good crowd on this Saturday afternoon. There is a small restaurant inside and also a large playground outside for the kids as well. This is a clean, well organized and very informative facility. All things to do with flight are on display here and you will not be disappointed.

I haven't been here since before COVID, and I realized they have lost some of their aircraft (along with all of their armored vehicles), but it is still a great experience.
The museum is well maintained with tons of information and the aircraft are just amazing. There is obviously the Me262, which is incredibly rare and an incredible feat of engineering, but I was surprised to see other weirder aircraft there as well. For instance, I had never heard of, let alone seen, a Mojave. I was also excited to see that they have a Mohawk, another very interesting (and rare) aircraft.

What a wonderful experience! Staff/volunteers were very friendly and informative. So much information along with visual stimuli. Took several hours to visit both buildings and see planes outside. Of course, the Spruce Goose was the star attraction!

A fun place to explore for kids and adults alike. The biggest (literally) attraction in the Aviation side is the 'Spruce Goose', of course, and it is certainly a sight to behold. It is an incredible feat of engineering and the sheer size is astounding. But there are plenty of other cool aircraft to check out. Stop by the gift shop for some souvenirs!
The Space side is very well put together with easy-to-read history and rare artifacts from space missions. The tallest attraction there is the Titan II rocket which sits in a 3 story silo and reaches up towards the roof. The SR-71 is also really cool to see in person.
Hit it at the right times and you can sit and visit with veterans and experts in the various exhibits and learn history directly from those who experienced it.
Overall we had a great visit and look forward to going back when we are in the area again. 🚀✈️

You should try the simulator during your visit .

For someone who is not really interested in airplanes, this was a really good airplane museum. We got to see how a part of the Aviator was filmed, were able to go into airplanes and see the history of flight. Unfortunately we weren't able to go into the planes outside since the workers said the door wasn't opening and closing correctly on those planes. The kids really liked the outside airplane themed playground. It is accessible outside without admission.

Very cool museum. From someone that is not from the area, it is in a non-conventional location … about an hour south of Portland if you happen to be flying into Portland International.
My tour guide (optional) was great. Very knowledgeable and fun. This tour was just under an hour.
First Come First Served extra cockpit tours of the Spruce Goose are a must. Sit in the same seat Howard Hughes sat in 75 years ago.
I highly recommend the entire day as there is so much to see … I only had 4 hours and regret it. Will have to come back!!

It’s incredible to get this close or inside of one of these beautiful planes. So much information you could spend a day here.
Any staff we interacted with were incredibly nice and helpful.
Come out. Learn. Enjoy. And make sure to look up, down, and behind you. There’s so much stuff packed in here. The spruce goose, the blackbird sr 71, and so much more.

We've been here a bunch of times with our kids. Our last trip was with our Scouts BSA troop. The museum is really generous to scouts! We were able to camp on the museum grounds, and the staff was really excited, and really engaged with our Scouts! My son was really happy that one of the guides let them behind several of the barriers to get up cost and personal with several of the planes.
The museum is really excellent, and has a ton of interesting and historically significant artifacts, including the Spruce Goose, which is really impressive in person. The museum is divided into two main collections - air and space though the space museum has a bunch of planes and helicopters - including an SR-71!
They move things around and swap stuff in and out so that it's a different experience every time, though there seems to be a core set of planes that are always there -including the Spruce Goose obviously.
The theater plays mostly educational films related to flight or space in some way. They were playing a 3D movie about birds and a movie about Saturn's rings when we went.
The staff mentioned that the museum is under new management, who has plans to expand, including adding a restoration facility, a couple of hotels and some general improvements to the facilities. I believe they also mentioned a possible expansion of the water park. I don't know how concrete those plans are, but it would be cool to see the water park expanded - as is, it feels a little small and doesn't keep our kids interested for more than an hour or so - though having all of the water sides start out inside a 747 is pretty novel.
Overall, I highly recommend the museum. If you have kids in a scouting organization, like Cub Scouts or Scouts BSA, that goes double!

All I can say is WOW! I was absolutely floored from literally miles away when I saw the Evergreen 747 perched on top of a multi-story building, and it only got better from there! The variety in the collection is impressive, the architecture is stunning, and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

A must see Air museum for any aviation enthusiast and a great place to visit for just about anyone. The kids will absolutely love it as there are all kinds of aircrafts and a section dedicated to space craft and travel – the space museum. A big added attraction for kids (or perhaps the main attraction, depending on the ages and interests) would be the Wings and Waves water park. Would recommend spending at least a couple of hours in each exhibit hall – the air and the space museums. Of course one might end up spending more time at the air museum exhibit hall where the main attraction Hughes H-4 Hercules ‘Spruce Goose’ is displayed. There is a special tour of the Spruce Goose provided and you should factor in some time for that as well, should you decide to take it. It wasn’t crowded at all when we visited and you can spend enough time at each aircraft display, get to know more about them and their amazing history, take pictures.
You could take a break between the two exhibit halls as you can come back into the museum, the tickets are valid for multiple entries. This way you don’t overwhelm yourself in one straight stretch and get the most out of the trip. There is plenty of parking spaces available but it’s a good idea to get there early, especially if you are planning to spend the whole day visiting the museums and water park.

This museum is fantastic! There are a lot of aircraft and space exhibits that all have videos or placards explaining their significance. The space museum has more interactive areas for children than the aircraft portion, but both are filled with interesting things to see and learn. The Spruce Goose is awe aspiring, and seeing it in person is way more impressive than online. If you take it slow and read the placards and watch the videos, this easily makes for a few hours of fun for the family!

This is a great regional museum; the Spruce Goose is something everyone should see at least once!! I love the collection of airplanes and helicopters, but the Space exhibit has always been Luigi to the Airplane's Mario. Such a bummer they lost the bid for that Space Shuttle years ago. It's still good though, don't get me wrong!! The vibe is just a little different, with all the replicas. I'm surprised they've never added a Conference Center and hotel to the overall campus.

Outstanding collection of aircraft including famous one-of-a-kind Spruce Goose (Hughes H4 Hercules) and relatively rare SR-71 Blackbird with a more complete collection of its associated camera and sensor modules out for display than I’ve seen before. Exhibited aircraft are well-spaced and well-lit for easy photography in a beautiful indoor museum facility (not just a hangar). The docents were extremely knowledgeable and spent time educating and answering questions. A private tour of the Spruce Goose flight deck is available- well worth the extra charge.

The Woodburn outlet mall is a mecca for shopping. There are hundreds of stores to choose from. There are enormous parking lots, but it is a very popular place so often it is very competitive to try to find a spot. There are many dining and refreshment options that are moderately priced. The retail stores range from small odd ones to very large well-known brand names. Much of the mall is covered so even on a rainy Pacific Northwest day, it is possible to walk around and stay dry. Overall this is a tremendous shopping experience and it is conveniently located between Salem and Portland.

Nice outlet with a wide variety of stores that all have worthwhile discounts. Has a lot of outdoor walking space. No Wi-Fi from the actual outlet but most stores have their own Wi-Fi. Also has some small food stores. Plenty of parking available. I would suggest to visit it if you’re in Oregon to take advantage of no sales tax in the state.

Here for 4th July mainly for shopping and hopefully some bargains but also to escape from the searing heat. Definitely good buys to be had but you need to shop about. North Face was especially good. Despite the parking lot being almost full at the front it never really seemed that busy in the mall. There are however limited options for food here and what there is really is a rip off.

Almost every name brand store you could imagine here; it's a super fun place to have a great shopping experience. Although a lot of the stores are definitely overpriced. Have fun trying to find a parking spot!! Definitely, the best time to go would be during the weekdays

Good place to walk, shop or eat.
There is a wide variety of shopping outlets, some with not a wide list of items to shop from.
Really enjoy the clean, open outdoor setting. COVID guidelines are kept well.
It can get pretty crowded and parking competitive.

A must visit place. Really worth coming, we came here by Amtrak bus from Portland Union station which took about 50 minutes, ticket costs $8. Bus stopped on the opposite side of the highway and took a 10-minute walk to the outlet.

Everything here you need, name brands galore. Bathrooms stinks need attention badly. Nike was packed so was UGG good deals going on. Kids play house was cute but closed.

This place is a must-visit and totally worth the trip! Easy and convenient! Lots of great brands have a shop.
Parking was available while our visit.

My friends took me there from Seattle.
Got some products from Adidas and Nike.
But not from The North Face as they run out of some size.

07/08/23: I came back to purchase some items and everything was still great. The Adidas store got redesigned with new looks and offers 40% off store wide. The directory at the front is super helpful for visitors like me to quickly search the brands. I enjoyed my visit
06/10/23: this outlet is way better than the ones in Washington. It has a larger parking lot with selections of brands ranging from small, medium to large. There are tons of great deals on different items and especially there are no TAXES. I enjoyed shopping around and will come back in the future

Amazing outlet mall ! Lots of stores to choose from like Nike, The north face, Coach, Sunglass Hut, Columbia, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Eddie Bauer, Banana Republic, so on, etc. plenty of places to eat and drink. Lots of parking and the prices were great we got 60% off off of our north face TNF stuff which is totally worth it!! #stoked!!!

This is a really great outlet mall. There is a large variety of shops to choose from and it looked like new ones were coming soon, specifically Lululemon.
The parking can be a nightmare as it’s almost always full. But I love that there are so many people with dogs walking the grounds.
Marcee Hampton — Google review
Best thing is no tax but hard to find any deals and it’s not like it was in the past. Not many food options and didn’t find anything interesting. Similar to Seattle premium but tax there and few other additions here like north face and new balance. Usually I end up find things at the normal stores with styles and sizes that don’t work out.
The Willamette Valley is a charming and picturesque region that boasts over 500 vineyards renowned for their Pinot Noir, as well as a farm-to-fork ethos. The valley offers an array of farmers markets from June to October, with purveyors coming from across central and eastern Oregon to showcase their produce.
Spend a weekend here it was amazing. It was a little cold on the coasts at the end of October but enjoyed our time.

Went to visit this beautiful vineyard while staying in Portland for a long weekend. It was an hour drive away and we had a great time. Our private tour with Allison was awesome - she was very knowledgeable about the vineyard practices and the wines even though she had only been on week 6 or so of working there! They had some wines we really loved - the Tualatin Estate Pinot noir was delightful - and others that were just okay (we were not huge fans of the whole cluster Pinot noir). They include a cheese plate with the tour which my husband enjoyed and they put together a vegan plate for me.
Overall we had a wonderful time and we really enjoyed Allison’s energy as well as the history she taught us about and the pours that kept flowing 😊

None of the photos uploaded are of the Willamette valley. This is not what it looks like none of these are accurate. Translated it means valley of sickness.
Nice place just not always nice people. You do not want to live anywhere that does not get sunlight at some point. Make sure you choose the right spot if you're going to live here.
If you have your own resources and you're good at staying to yourself this is The place for you.
Now if you want to live in a more populated area that's a whole different story.
Eugene and some surrounding areas are not too bad. Just stay away from Medford or Portland.
Be ready for any kind of weather at any point. Have a good day.

Silver Falls State Park is Oregon's largest state park and offers a variety of outdoor activities including camping, swimming, picnicking, cycling, and horseback riding. The main attraction is the Trail of Ten Falls Loop which is an easy 8-mile loop that leads visitors through a basalt canyon filled with thick forests teeming with ferns, mosses and wildflowers. This serene park features ten waterfalls along the dog-friendly trail, as well as campsites and cabins for overnight stays.
Amazing, probably the most popular park n hiking trails in the states. Its tons of hiking trails with different lengths from easy to hard. Well maintain n managed. You could see lots of falls n great view.
You need state lark permit which could be bought online for a year or from kiosk in parking lots for $5 a day.
Even weekdays they are good amount of people all around the park

The best 9 miles I ever hiked. Covered all the trails. Bring good hiking shoes because it is quiet muddy, the trail is not at all difficult to do.
I love the north water fall and the south water fall.
The map is so confusing, it never tells you where you are. Better to download the hiking map to help you in forest because there is no service in that area. Park in the main parking lot.
Nidhi Jha — Google review
Absolutely loved this hike. I've always wanted to go behind a waterfall. I think the lower south falls was my favorite, you're behind the fall and pretty close to the water too.
Ten waterfalls all in 1 hike! But give yourself a lot of time, I only managed to see 8/10 waterfalls. I think it took me about 3 hours I forget how long exactly.
And definitely go early, when I got back to the car around 12:30 there were a lot of cars waiting with no parking spaces available.
I went at the end of May and the waterfalls were still a wonderful sight to see, but I wonder if I went earlier in the year the water flow would be higher? Some of them didn't seem that big but I'm not sure if that's just how they normally are.
All in all, a great hike, not too hard in difficulty, but long in length, I love that it's a loop trail so you don't have to turn back around at the end.
Park is kept very clean, I think $5 fee to park there.
Ritelriaa Snoh — Google review
The trail from the South entrance was absolutely beautiful. The first two waterfalls are a must-see. Make sure to take water with you if you plan to hike the entire loop, or even half of it. Be careful for loose rock and wet slippery places. There are some steps, and the trail gets fairly steep in spots, both up and down.

I cannot describe what a wonderful experience I had here. My boyfriend and I were on a road trip to the coast and this was our first stop. We did the 10 Waterfalls hike and I was amazed during every second of it. The fact that we were able to walk behind so many of them just made me feel like I could really experience it. And all the moss everywhere was a dream. The trail is good with only 1 steep downhill and then steps to get back up or visa versa depending on how you hike it. The bathrooms were clean and even warm. They had many different kinds of buildings to explore, we didn't but you can easily spend a whole day there. 10/10 recommend to anyone who loves waterfalls.

Such a cool place for a family hike! Was recommended by a friend and definitely don't regret a single second we spent here. Highly recommend going on the hike that at least takes you through the 7 falls if you are up for a 5+ mile hike. Not too strenuous either.
Christian Hagler — Google review
On a Friday morning we decided to drive an hour from Portland and go for a “little” hike. We are non-hikers so the 2.8 mile loop was plenty of a hike for us. Easy, beautiful hike down to see the lower south falls but the switchbacks coming back up to the parking lot were brutal. We had to take several breaks. It felt good to complete the hike and we definitely would do it again though!
Kari Leslie — Google review
I planned to stop here just to see one waterfall and a short hike... 6 hours later, I didn't want to leave. It's truly stunning y'all. For those with mobility issues, it will be a challenge to get down to the waterfalls. The paths are fairly steep but well maintained. I've never been behind a waterfall and that was the coolest. They have an awesome shop and lodge too. Even cabins for rent! Can't wait to go back.

Beautiful hiking area. Trails are moderate, wide and well kept. 10 waterfalls of various sizes and length to see and experience. A few you can walk behind the water which is fun. Lots of picnic areas so bring a lunch. 3 different parking lots. The south lot is the largest.
Andee Allen — Google review
Very well maintained and easy to hike park. The waterfalls are breathtaking. It turned out to be a rainy and cold day, so we were limited on time but I would love to come back and do the full hike to see all ten waterfalls!

Wonderful! Less crowded than similar areas. We did the beginning of Canyon Trail from South Fall and then switched to Maple Ridge Trail. Great short hike with two big waterfalls. Will definitely bring more time when I visit again.
Jessi VB — Google review
What an awesome day! Checked out all 10 waterfalls and the hike was not too bad and took about 4 hrs. Make sure to wear proper shoes or bring an extra pair of socks if you wear running/cross training shoes. Gets pretty wet on the trail especially when you go behind some of the waterfalls. It was dope!
Virgilio Villasenor — Google review
This place is a hikers dream. 10 falls in a 9 mile loop is simply heaven. I visited on 07-04-22. The terrain was shaded, cool, wet and extremely fun to hike. There was a slight elevation at some parts and some stairs throughout. There were a few bridges along the trail as well. Definitely wear water shoes for the hike and keep a spare pair in the car for later. Try wearing quick dry clothes.
Start by paying $5 parking fee at the kiosks.
Take snacks and water.
Take a hiking stick mostly for safety.
Be considerate of others while taking pics. Don't hog the trail and let other pass by safely.
Know your comfort level if you decide to get under the falls or in the water at all. Safety can't get to you fast enough once you are around double falls.
Keep your phone charged to capture the beautiful moments.
Take your time and enjoy to the fullest.

A wonderful place! There’s a lot of trails for everyone to enjoy, beautiful sights, plentiful and well-maintained bathrooms, picnic tables, and water for swimming. Was here for a family reunion and it lived up to everything we hoped. We reserved a pavilion and it had all the room we needed to prepare lunch and such. There were a lot of people on the trails, but it wasn’t overwhelmingly crowded.

Didn't know what to expect. First time here. As busy as it gets for a Sunday, there was still parking available. With cool temperatures during the late afternoon, the lush nature and breathtaking waterfalls set the mood for the hike. The sound and streams of the waterfalls made it a very pleasant experience. The cafe and nature store in the park is a great visit. Felt the burn on the inclines, although challenging, it was manageable. There's bike trails and some paved paths. Great viewpoints and pathways. Will definitely return for the full loop.

I love this park as much as I love the Columbia River Gorge. You can see 10 waterfalls and some you can walk behind. Some are easy to spot from the parking areas but most waterfalls require a hike. There are stairs on the trail from South Falls to Lower South Falls so beware of that too!

This was such a fun experience. Such a peaceful and beautiful place to visit. Plenty to do and see. You can walk as much as you want or relax. Hiking here is like a dream! You get to see such beautiful waterfalls and the trails are good for cardio and just taking in nature as you go. We got lucky to see snow and ice covered vegetation! Wear good hiking shoes when going in the winter ice can be hidden really well on some of the trails and cause you to slip.

We love this forest park. Very well maintain trails, easy to hike and easy to navigate. Beautiful waterfalls. Coming here in the fall is a must in order to see the fall foliage. Lots of good foraging spots if you’re into foraging. Come after a good rain and your guaranteed to find lots of mushrooms. (Bring a field guide!) Lots of parking in the parking lot. You will have to pay for a Oregon park permit or a day pass. (EV charging available). There’s also a nice bike only trail for you bikers. You’ll drive through a little farming town with fresh eggs for sell everywhere!

This place is magnificent! The south falls are a short walk from the parking and are easy to access at the viewing point. You can walk on a short trail behind the falls, but this is quite steep.
Enchanted Forest is a well-established amusement park that offers a variety of classic rides and storybook-inspired attractions for children. The park caters primarily to younger visitors since some areas are small and require crawling. However, the pizza served at the park may not meet everyone's expectations, as it has a school-like flavor. The limited options for snacks and drinks were also noted by some visitors. Nonetheless, Enchanted Forest features several enjoyable areas such as the haunted house.
I have lived in Eugene for 24 years and had never been to Enchanted Forest until today. My husband and I took my son for the first time, he is 2.5 and he absolutely LOVED it! The storybook houses, the slides, the beautiful Oregon backdrop, the rides and the staff were all wonderful! It is kinda spending, but in my opinion, worth every penny! I highly, highly recommend for any kiddo 2+! We will most definitely be back very soon!

We had so much fun with our 6 year old. This place is worth every dime you spend and every mile you drive. It will take all day to enjoy your visit if you want to e place every attraction and ride every ride. There are lots of hills to walk up and down so take your cane if you need one. It's totally wheelchair accessible. There are gifts for everyone and food. It's not overpriced at all in my opinion. You can tell the owner put his heart and soul into Enchanted Forest. Thank you sir!!

Cute little place!
On our drive back to California we decided to stop w/our 2 year old.
It’s a walking fairy-tale tour at first, with a western town and some rides and activities.
2y/o loved the story/fairy tale tour and ran all around!
Cute little place for a fun quick stop.
It appears you can take food in. So it would be a cute half day to take a picnic/food and get the kids out!
Wish we lived closer but it was fun!
$22 is the adult ticket price and was a bit steep considering it’s just a walking thing but it was still fun.

This is easily my favorite theme park. The shady trees make even the hottest days bearable, the attractions are quirky and cute, and it’s fun for both kids and adults alike.
S X — Google review
There are a lot of hands-on play for little ones. There are no all-day passes, so expect to pay $3.00 -$5.00 per ride, per person. However, you can bring your own food and food prices at the park are reasonable, So it balances out.
I came here when I was 5 and now my grandson comes here. It's cool to take pictures of him in front of the same attractions that I did as a child. For me, it brings up a sense of nostalgia and I enjoy coming because I remember my father and I playing on the witch slide, the old lady in the shoe slide, and other attractions that are still present. Now, I get to make new memories with my grandchild. I do wish they had a annual pass so that I could come more often.
Another positive is thst this park is family-owned and you are supporting a local business. They seem to make sure that things are reasonably priced. It's well worth it if you have little kids.
There's a Western Village, an Old English Village, castles, and plenty of photo opportunities. There are a few rides and attractions that would be fun for teenagers, but they may get bored quickly. Teenagers may not have such a great time, save for the unique pictures they could take in front of a variety of locations. So, if your teenager is big into selfies and picture taking, a few basic rides, and a haunted house they may enjoy it for a little while.
Me, personality, I love coming here with my grandkids.

It has gotten kinda expensive. Some parts are run down but it’s got a fun nostalgic vibe. Needs more drinking fountains. I only saw one. Kinda chilly since it’s in the forest so wear a jacket.

Overall it’s a great place to take kids mostly since half of the places to see are too small for adults to crawl and do all the times of moving haha . The pizza was school pizza flavor in the sense of would be delicious but it wasn’t up there . Wish they had more options like teas and pretzels . Half of the stores were closed when we went . Did enjoy the theme and areas like the haunted house . Tickets are up there in price so save money before hand because for two adults and a kid your already up to like $70 . That doesn’t include rides you want to get on . Enjoy it though since it’s rare to have places open now a days.

Always a great place to take the family. The parking lot was full but they had an overflow lot down the stairs street with a shuttle bus that would drop you off right in front. There is an entrance fee, once your inside, you will have to purchase tickets to go on rides. Very nostalgic for those who grew up going there. Feels good to support a local family run amusement park.

Beautiful location, on a hill in the woods. So it’s protected from the heat!!!
The windy ways with angle make it hard for toddlers to walk around. My and my friends little took a dive on the pavement. Our toddlers were 2,5, our oldest 5 years. They’ve had the perfect age for most rides. It was disappointing you had to pay for every single ride also when you HAD to get in the ride with your little one even tho they would’ve been perfectly fine without you. So entry+snacks+ rides ends up in a pretty spendy day. So definitely nothing we will be doing every year and especially not more than once since it really cuts into a budget. But nevertheless it’s a beautiful park with lots of love to the detail. Coming from Germany visiting amusement parks was a thing k grew up with. But you pay admission and the parks are filled with rides you can get in all day long as many times as you want. So this was a disappointment. We will definitely do our amusement park visit in Germany next year and are excited! If you ever get close to Oldenburg there’s k e right at the ocean!!!! Amazing vied and a day full of fun!!!!

I went to mock what I expected to be poorly-made,yet kitschy Disney knock-offs in someone's backyard, only to be stunned by a delightful theme park that truly punches above its weight.
The place is compact, allowing you to experience all of it — live shows and rides included — in just a day. And that's not a downside. Shake off the Disney and big amusement park trauma, and revel in a day filled with quirky attractions, from Pirate sing-a-longs to genuinely thrilling log flume rides. During my visit, the lines moved swiftly, especially in the early hours.
The food is astonishingly affordable for theme park fare. In fact, it's a steal even by regular fast-food standards. While it may not be gourmet, it delivers exactly what you'd hope for, with a few pleasant surprises thrown in, like a barbecue joint and an ice cream shop offering dole whip.
In addition to admission, you so have to pay extra for thrill rides (Haunted house, alpine coaster, log flume water ride, and an interactive dragon shooting ride), it is worth it.
Yes, there are some odd (ugly), offbeat, and occasionally malfunctioning sculptures and animatronics. But there's such inherent charm and whimsy in it all that it's easy to overlook. I walked in a snarky skeptic, only to walk out proudly donning a souvenir t-shirt and wearing an incredulous smile.
Highly recommended.
A perfect score of 10/10 enchantments.

The biggest thing I would suggest is wait until your kiddos are old enough to walk the park. Bring backpacks with whatever food/drink you want for the day. Do not bring your stroller, or your wagon. You won't be able to get around inside of hardly any of the attractions. You'd be able to walk the normal paths but you'll be stuck to the main trails and unable to go inside the attractions. I own a Wonderfold wagon and we went to take it into the first castle and we couldn't even make it inside. If you have a small baby, I suggest wearing them. :)
There are no more ride bracelets so rides cost $3 -$5 per person per ride.
I have two toddlers I took with me and was hopeful we could ride the MTN ride but no one was able to give me an answer as to if they both could ride with me. I was told id have to purchase tickets, wait in line and ask the operator. HOWEVER tickets are refundable.
My kids loved the slides! They wore themselves out running up and down the slides ❤️

Prices have gone up drastically... almost pricing out low income familiesto be able to visit :( also they have gotten rid of all there water fountains and there is no more pwnny machine. Plus lots of kids it is imporant to stay hydrated.

Had a wonderful time for my son’s birthday! We bought our tickets in advance and were compensated with 5 ride tickets per entry since two rides were out of commission. Every worker was so kind and accommodating I was there with young kids and disabled elderly everyone made us feel so welcome and were so helpful they used a go cart to transport a disabled family member around. The park is amazing for young kids especially that 5 to 10 range. I came in hopeful because it was my kids first amusement park and they blew me away everyone I was with loved it.

I love this place and would fight to keep it open as long as possible. Robert Tofty worked hard and it's hand crafted with love . With that being said, you also can't charge guests $10 admission and $5 per ride. Going as a child when it was $2 per ride or a ride wristband was the best part. Won't be going again this year or in the future because it's ridiculous to run you $20 for 4 rides that last under 5 minute's per ride . They are pricing out low income families being in Turner that's not sustainable.

I was really surprised by this under reported gem of a theme park. My 5 year old had a blast. There is some fun and spooky decor (not necessarily intentionally spooky) very retro storybook land but my kids still enjoyed it. There were plenty of open concession stands, prices were affordable for food and rides. Tons of parking. Lots of uphill walking but not a problem for us. Staff were on top of making sure the park wasn’t dirty almost constantly sweeping and taking out the trash.

Awesome amusement park for a young family. Very fun and young kids themed amusement park. Our 4 and 6 year old boys had an absolute blast.
Admission works on a paid admission and then tickets per ride. Each ticket is $1, but any leftover tickets can be returned when you're done for the day for a refund.
Rides range from 3 to 5 tickets each.
Very affordable drinks, snacks, and food. Incredibly clean for such a well visited location.
Super friendly staff.
Here are some highlights of some of the rides;
The Haunted House creeped our little guys out a bit in a good, fun way, lol. Wasn't some lame carnival style one. This was lengthy with some imagination put into it.
The Bobsled was a very fun rollercoaster for the whole family.
The Challenge of Mondor was a fun monster shooting ride that the kids wanted to do twice.
Panning for treasure was only 1 ticket each, and participants get to take home a bag of "treasure".
Highly recommend for a younger family!
The Owen Rose Garden is a lovely park featuring stunning floral displays, picnic areas, biking and pedestrian paths, and a performance space. This serene garden also boasts the oldest cherry tree in Oregon, which dates back to the mid-1800s when it was planted by Eugene Skinner. Visitors can enjoy free access to this rose garden and take in the beautiful flowers throughout June as well as other times of year.
June was a great time of year to go there. Roses were still blooming.
There is a bathroom close by and the rose garden is free to the public.
Also it is home to the oldest cherry tree in Oregon, Owen Cherry Tree.
It is believed this tree was planted in the mid 1800’s by Eugene Skinner, founder of the City of Eugene in 1853. The tree is within the boundaries of Skinner’s 1846 land claim.

Simply beautifully kept grounds, great accessible walkways, and even though we snagged the last parking spot available it did not feel crowded in the garden as walkways were wide and people kept their distance. I did notice some sketchily parked vans/vehicles, which I assume people were living in, sprinkled about the parking lot, which made the experience feel tarnished as the homeless population in this area can be a bit aggressive and dangerous. But overall it was an amazing place to visit and I would recommend! Just make sure to lock your vehicle and keep your kids close!

This was a beautiful stop, we where nicely surprised with how many people where visiting so early in the morning.
On the side of caution just make sure your car is locked as homeless sleeping under bench and another allowing dog to run around with no leash .

Amazing care and cleanliness of this park.
June is one of the best months to visit; almost all the garden is fully blooming and all the flowers are opened and vibrant.
Great for photography sessions.
There are benches located around the park, as well as restrooms.
No fee to enter or park.
Many picnic areas for group reunions, proposals, wedding pics, etc.
The neighborhood around is ok, some of the streets are not the best; but the park itself is beautiful, clean, great condition and safe.
We didn’t find any homeless people, but the area before getting there showed that there were some.

One of the best rose gardens I've ever been to. The roses are fragrant and beautiful and the layout is awesome. Nice casual walk through the gardens without a lot of people...great for pictures. And to top it off.... it's free! If you're looking for a place to go....this is a place to put on your list to check out!

Oh, Owen Rose Garden, you bloomed your way into my heart and made me feel like a botanical connoisseur! Now, let's dive into this bloomin' awesome review.
First off, let me just say that even though not all the roses were in season, it didn't dampen my spirits one bit. This garden was a sight to behold! It was like stepping into a fragrant wonderland where colors and scents danced together in perfect harmony. I found myself surrounded by nature's artwork, and oh boy, it was a feast for the eyes and nose!
Now, here's where the comedic plot twist comes in. Picture this: I'm strolling through this serene garden, feeling all zen and at peace with the world when suddenly, out of nowhere, a heated bike argument breaks out! Yep, you heard it right. Apparently, those folks on their two-wheeled contraptions couldn't agree on whose turn it was to ring the bell. Talk about a thorny situation in a rose garden!
But fear not, dear readers, for even amidst the bike-fueled drama, Owens Rose Garden remained a tranquil haven. The beauty of the flowers and the gentle rustling of leaves managed to calm my soul, despite the occasional bike-induced chaos. It was like Mother Nature herself was reminding me to stop and smell the roses, while also giving me a good laugh.
So, if you're in need of some floral therapy and a sprinkle of unexpected amusement, Owens Rose Garden is the place to be. Just remember to keep an eye out for those drama-seeking bicyclists. Five stars? Absolutely! Owens Rose Garden, you've shown me that even in the midst of floral tranquility, life can throw in a dash of comedy. Keep blooming and keep the bike battles entertaining!
Wildlife Safari is a 600-acre park that boasts an impressive collection of animals from around the globe. Visitors can embark on a 4.5-mile drive-thru loop to see these creatures up close and in their natural habitats, including deer and emus giving birth. Beyond the drive-thru, guests can also explore the barn and get even closer to some of the animals.
Awesome place to go with family and friends!
Lots of animals to see and even feed a few!
After the nice relaxing drive around you can even park and see more animals!
Staff was very friendly! Some of the staff even stayed next to the animals and said a few facts and were always making sure you enjoyed it!
Definitely recommend going to this place!

The Wildlife Safari is located in Winston, Oregon. You can pay to go through the drive through to see bears, bison, elephants, giraffes, and many other animals, but if you plan to go through the drive through a couple more times it is best to buy a membership for $120 annually. You can go through the drive through as many times as you would like the entire year. You can add a person onto the membership, so you could also just go in on a membership with a family member or a friend. You can walk through and look at many other animals for free, with donations kindly accepted. There is a small playground for children, a cafeteria/ restaurant, many different species of animals to look at as well as a petting zoo area.

Great little set up. Lots of great things to see. My advice is don't let the guy behind you rush you through. Tell him/her to go around and race to the finish on their own time. You only get the one trip through and it's not by the car but the passengers inside so take your time and really enjoy the presentation. I love the fact that they are doing this the right way and not like some nasty places that try to make money off the poor animals.

Tons of family fun. Lots of animals to see, plenty of activities in the village. Playground, petting zoo, camel rides, train rides, Photo Booth. snacks, gift shop. Everything extra cost extra. Place is affordable for the most part and about average. Lots of more intimate options for interacting with animals for a cost. Arrived at 2pm and many animals were napping already. You could see them; just laying down. Earlier arrival time would be best we assumed. Village layout is a little confusing and viewing window glass had major glare. We will be back.

We spent today here. It had been many years since we'd been there, so some things have changed, such as some of the predatory animals not roaming free as in yrs past. But, I do understand why they probably had to change that. Still, we enjoyed it so much. The weather was perfect, and this place is so well maintained. Definitely do the walk through as well, if you have time. The landscaping is very pretty, too. Both adults and children really love feeding the birds, in the aviary.

Drove through with family, it was a lot of fun. You must stay in your vehicle at all times. We bought some food in cups to feed the animals through our windows. We had enough time pause in our car and take pictures along the way. There's souvenirs available at the end, highly recommend as a family stop!

Loved it so much and only wish we'd got there earlier in the day to experience more of the safari village! The drive through was huge, so many animals roaming free - it was really quite spectacular to see such great care for all creatures. The bears were my favourite, also loved the feeding area where we had fun giving snacks to the deer and emus (one of them stole our cup and got chased around by his mate, we were laughing for ages). We ended our tour with a sticker for the van and a little peek at the cheetah. I'd definitely recommend this safari for all ages, stay for the whole day and enjoy it!

I love this place. Went with my granddaughters. They had a blast. They loved feeding the animals. The ostriches and deer came straight up to my car. The bears are my favorite. They seemed so relaxed laying in the shade. The leopards and cheetahs were nice to see. We saw them eating their dinner. The walk in part of the park was very nice. We walked around and saw several animals there. We loved the babies. I would highly recommend this place. It is a great place to stop while on vacation or if you just want to have a special day.

A great place for people young and old. The kids we're super excited each time we spotted a new animal on the drive through, and the adults felt a child like anticipation. The walk through village offered an educational experience with different animals to see and interact with and the chance to see some creatures very up close and personal.

Drove down from Portland for a day adventure with my 3 children. This place does not disappoint! So much fun, much better than the Oregon Zoo. Animals had more than enough room to roam freely and all seemed happy. My kids loved feeding the deer and the emu's! Well cared for and kept together. We'll definitely be back!

This experience was amazing!!! We saw so many animals up close and happy in their environment. Bonus was seeing a 15 minute old deer and watching an emu give birth. Our entire party was incredibly happy with this experience and still talking about it days later. Enjoyed walking around the barn and seeing other animals after the drive through. Highly recommend.

This was quite amazing to do. We were pressed for time, but with your admission you can go around a couple of times on the drive. Plus the walk through area is included. That is where you can do the camel ride and train. It was nice they honored both a Veteran discount and triple A discount. Will definitely go back again 😀

I have been visiting Wildlife Safari for the past 35+ years (about every 4-5 years we make a trip down). It's a wonderful experience, and a treat to see so many animals- some up close! Some things have changed over the years. For example, the lions used to roam free to the point they had to open a gate to let each car in and out. Now they're contained behind fences. I'm guessing it's an insurance requirement (which says more for society than anything). It's still a great place to visit.
The day we were there this time was pretty hot. The rhinos were hiding in the shade near the top of the hill, but other than that, pretty much all of the other critters were out and about. We didn't do the train or camel ride this time, but have in the past (and enjoyed both).
All in all, Wildlife Safari is absolutely worth a trip- granted it's no Loro Parque, but is educational, charming, and enjoyable in it's own way. Yes, we will absolutely be back in a couple years.

Great way to watch animals which can roam freely than being in cages. They have all variety of animals, mainly, well fed and healthy. Groupon made it cheaper with discounted tickets.

Beautiful sunny day that wasn't too cold so we could enjoy the animals with the windows down. Went in the afternoon of a weekday, so very light traffic & the animals were all out & playful. This preserve is spectacular & massive with so many animals from all over the world. Today's favorite was the young grizzly bear playing & running. Also, two Emos fighting over the feed cup LOL. Make sure to bring at least $5 cash so you can feed some of the animals. This place is a must see & I'll be going back at least once a year!

Very fun. Could only be reasonably improved with clearer signage. Staff is friendly. Park is clean. It is not charge per car but per person which is a bit ridiculous. I do recommend going.

Wow wow wow, This was such a great experience. We last minute got tickets for this safari on our way up to Portland and it was 100% worth it. There was a slight drilling so it was am interesting experience. Many of the animals were out cuddled up with each other. We spent around 2 hours here. Not many cars on the trail. Be careful feeding the emus... food go everywhere haha. This is a must stop !

3 of us booked a full day rafting trip with Morrisons Rogue Wilderness. They offered the options to use the inflatable kayaks (duckies) or riding a raft with others. We had a great time. Our guide, Mika (I hope that’s how he writes his name-sorry 🤭) and all the other guides are super fun guys to be on a trip with. They will walk or raft :) that extra mile for you and your family, friends so you have an outstanding experience on the river. They know the river very well and you feel totally comfortable and safe with them -even with younger kids. Especially if you are a first timer we highly recommend them so you have a great experience with professionals! We had so much fun! Thank you for it!

We are 100% doing this trip again soon… Guides were all (5) amazing, lodges were warm and inviting and the food was fantastic. Tip of the hat to Morrison Lodge staff and Chef Matt, this young man is an excellent chef. You’ll understand why I’ve called him out after your first experience. Our river guide Andrew Serda… Best I’ve had on any of the many (Oregon, Alaska, Calif.) river trips I’ve had over the past 40 years. Never felt more safe and on the fish, like we did w/ Andrew.
See you again in 2024 !

What an amazing adventure! We were guided by Martin, Dustin O, Justin, and Kevin, and they were all amazing guides. The entire trip was so well planned & SO MUCH FUN! The food was fantastic and the camps were fabulous. Our family was on Dustin’s raft and he provided a wealth of information on the Rogue River, and the Rogue Valley. They were all phenomenal guides and made sure there was laughter the entire trip! We can’t wait for our next adventure with Morrison!

This was my first whitewater rafting experience! I tagged along with some friends on a 3 day, 2 night rafting trip and was not disappointed. The food was fantastic, and they took care of everything for us. This is the way to relax! Our guide was Greg, and he was very experienced, friendly, and helpful. Going through Blossom Bar was probably the most intense part for me, but Greg navigated us through it with ease. All the other guides were amazing as well: Rip, Mackenzie, Marcus (who did an amazing job on the meat!), Christian, and Nick. I highly recommend booking a trip and hope to return in the not so distant future! Thank you Morrison's for a fantastic adventure and experience!

We recently did a half day trip on the Rogue. The outfit served a nice lunch before departure at their scenic lodge. The guides were very seasoned and knowledgeable about every nook in the river. This was one of the more mellow rafting trips I took, but was a great intro for my daughter. We had a very relaxing afternoon in a very beautiful stretch of the river.

I highly praise the 6 man crew for their professional manner, endless patience and dedication to safety of our group of 21 during the 4 day river trip. The meals offered were delicious, with an abundance of choices. The last night we stayed at Paradise Bar lodge. Their staff and accommodations were excellent. The food was great. A beautiful location with resident wildlife. Our crew leader was Martin who I give a 5 plus star rating. The experience was exceptional, one I will remember forever. I highly recommend this company if a river trip is on your bucket list.

Our rafting trip with Morrisons Rogue Wilderness Adventures was nothing short of extraordinary! From the start, the team at Morrisons left no stone unturned to ensure that our adventure was impeccably planned and executed. Whether you're an experienced rafter or a first-timer, they cater to every need.
Our guide Ryan was the perfect blend of knowledgeable, attentive, humorous, and cautious. He lead 2 other rafts at the same time. His love for and knowledge of the Rogue River made the trip all the more fun.
The rapids were perfectly suited for beginners, and the option to solo kayak added an exciting touch of challenge for those seeking it. I definitely made use of it and highly recommend it. Our children, aged 6 and 9, had the time of their lives! Watching their faces light up with joy and excitement was truly priceless.
We saw Ospreys soaring above us and turtles on the shores. We jumped into the river for swim breaks multiple times. The provided lunch was not only delicious, but also thoughtfully prepared, adding to our memorable day. The chocolate chip cookies were.. yeah amazing.
The full day of rafting was filled with moments of thrill, laughter, fun, and filled with awesome surrounding natural beauty.
Our experience with Morrisons Rogue Wilderness Adventures was outstanding and one we will cherish forever. If you are looking for a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and natural beauty, look no further than a rafting trip down the scenic Rogue River with this excellent crew. It's an adventure you'll remember for a lifetime.

My husband and I just finished a raft supported hiking trip of the wild and scenic part of the Rogue river. It exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail and the care and comfort of the guests was perfect. I was worried about hiking such a long stretch and the ability to get in the rafts and hit the water multiple times a day made it so much more enjoyable for me. Our trip leader Sorin and her guides Marcus and Maynard were so welcoming and friendly we felt like family. I highly recommend this company - their care and customer service we’re second to none.

This was my first time river rafting. It was soo much fun! The lunch to start us off was awesome! Great quality food and it felt like home. Our guide Rip was awesome! He made us feel safe and he was soo much fun! He talked and interacted with us and made the trip extra fun! Having the inflatable kayak available to us made it even more fun! I loved it soo much! This experience made me want to book another one with bigger rapids! There was one downfall to the trip. There was a lead guide, named Don or something like that. He was soo rude! Our group fell behind and once we caught up to him he reprimanded our guide in front of everyone! Asking him if he knew how to row and everything ! Saying our guide made it unsafe for everyone. Which is totally not true. This lead guide made his raft and ours feel soo uncomfortable. That was soo unprofessional. He kept making comments to our guide and under his breath that were just so uncalled for and not professional. I would love to book another raft with you all but am hesitant because if that guide is there I won’t book it. I still gave a 5 star because everything except for that lead guide, was amazing ! Thank you!

Excellent productions with fine actors. This town has three comfortable theatres used for a variety of dramas, musicals and some Shakespeare productions during a long March to November season. Loved the 'Preface' ($10) which is a 30-minute talk given by an actor and theatre scholar as an intro to each play's author, storyline and production history. Very informative and helpful if you're going to shows with school age children.

Do not miss this experience. Outdoor theaters are a special treat. Evening performances are exquisite. OSF does everything with flair and style. The talent is stellar. Wine, beer, popcorn and cookies are sold and allowed in open air theaters.
Melody Murphy — Google review
Really cool venue and performance (we saw Twelfth Night). Very unique experience to watch such performances in an outdoor venue. The plays are very modern takes on the classics which make it a little more approachable for those less familiar. I had little knowledge of the story, Twelfth Night, so highly recommend doing a little homework pre-show otherwise you might find yourself lost trying to follow the story (particularly given the heavy early modern English).
The theater is very nice with variety of concessions and easily accessible restrooms.

Recently, as a member, I had to exchange tickets for one of the 10 shows we purchased from May 3rd to May 1st. We were able to get the exact same seats that we had purchased for May 3rd - A1 and A2. The person helping me had no problem exchanging them, but since we bought them at pre-sale prices, he was going to have to charge me the difference, which was $62.50. I was very surprised and disappointed that they would do that.

Love the theater the show was great! Being that we are from another state and the first time visiting! It would have been nice to have been made aware of mandatory mask and proof of covid vaccinations to enter and open out door theater. Yeah sounds weird and doesn't make sense. But for us to have been made aware when we purchased our tickets and the multiple reminder emails of the upcoming show and asking for donations. Somewhere would have been nice to make that made aware.

Had a very enjoyable evening watching “All’s well that ends well.” They do a great job of presenting a modern interpretation of the play while staying true to the original language. These are not stuffy stiff performances.
One thing we didn’t realize at first is that the theater is open air. So be sure to bring a jacket to stay warm.
Tyler Waite — Google review
I have attended OSF since 1969. The plays in the past were always fantastic, this year sadly the dramatic interpretation of the plays left me short with only discontent. It has been a treat to enjoy Shakespeare in full traditional costumes but that seems to have been only a remembrance from yesteryear. Although I had heard from volunteers, there are hundreds of costumes saved in storage that would be great to see again to enhance the plays.
This year I saw Romeo and Juliet making a current political statement. Perhaps, homelessness should be dealt with in its own play with a creative resolution that would actually address the problems that have developed into homelessness. This was so distracting to a marvelous love story with traditional lines that it was flat.
The next disappointment was The Three Musketeers. The background of the play was interesting about the author Alexandre Dumas but could have been left as an introduction then the play would retain its original script. The foul language really did not add anything to the play and certainly not good for young theatre goers. I did not see disclaimer concerning the language when I ordered my tickets.
I suspect many of us are traditionalist who enjoy our current cultural or political issues in their own plays perhaps not mutilating Shakespeare or the other authors we come to enjoy.
I fear after all these years as OSF reaches toward 100 years of existence faithful patrons may not be rushing back as some of us over half a century. The theatre has been part of my entire life and I would hope Ashland and OSF will find its way back to great entertaining theatre again, for its survival.

January 2023 OSF announced major changes in all things. Due to Covid, the economy, etc....OSF will be taking drastic majors and 2018 season ended with 26 shows - cancelled - or move indoors- huge layoffs and $2-3 Million in losses...Like thousands, we use migrate to Ashland every year for a theater fix.
It is The Best! So Great - and so sad- due to Covid 19 - all plays and musicals are cancelled...Big financial hit to the company. We shall return.

We came from Chico CA and were aware there was some smoke in the area from fires. We came to see The Three Musketeers. We had awesome seats. The smoke was pretty low and we were told by email that we would be informed by email by 5:00 pm if the show would go on. They said the show would go on, we arrived, they opened seating, started playing music and then a man came out to announce that the show was canceled. We could understand to some degree of course but...why did they seat us?
Then, we heard some people saying that they were seating people in Romeo and Juliet which was in doors. When we got to that theater, the doors were closed and it was full. Some people were fortunate enough to get in but we were not. We only heard about it from people walking past that were "in the know" from the right person directing them over to that show. We weren't that lucky. We ended up wandering around town that was mostly closed for a bit and walked back to our hotel. Very disappointing. Empty stage, too bad the show looked promising 😐

Worst "Macbeth" of my life...actors had no mic's, very difficult to hear. Macbeth's best speech was too soft. Some good visual effects. My CA family said they had bad experience last year with Shakespeare, wouldn't return.

Beautiful theatre.
Parking needs to be nearer to it for disabled patrons.
Sound system made me wonder if actors needed amplification but no the director just liked it LOUD. Lots of lunging and missing very few screams of pain as looser dies.
Costumes looked home made. Witches could only be identified because they appeared together.
I learned that the spoils of greed are not satisfying.

It is a beautiful place with a lot of trails to walk on. They have maps posted around the park in different places that display the trails and where each one leads to. Plenty of really cool things to see along the trails. Plus, depending on the time of year that you are there, you're very likely to see different types of wildlife as well. They also have a nice playground for kiddo's to get some energy out and have some fun as well. All in all it is a nice place to visit. It can just get a little crowded on the weekends so if you are able to, I suggest going during the week to avoid the crowds.

Lithia Park has gotten more beautiful over the last 30 years. There's a kids play structure, the Japanese gardens, very challenging stairs going straight up on the hillside for hikers and joggers with the chutzpah to climb, and benches and picnic tables to rest, craft, or eat. Today there was a cello player on the path, a couple artists, some deer, and nice breeze. Be aware there is an E-coli warning for the creek, as of August 2023. But don't let it stop you from enjoying the walking paths. Restrooms are open. No dogs, no bikes, no smoking.

Saw 6 deer before I even parked. Could've given 5 stars off of that. I only walked around half the park, but all, including the Japanese garden, was lovely. I spent quite some time sitting in front of the zen rock garden. The rest of the walk was clean, not too busy, and floral.

The caves are composed of intricate marble formations, which create huge underground caverns that can be explored through guided tours. The tour lasts about an hour and a half, during which visitors can witness unique calcite formations and learn from knowledgeable guides. It's important to bring warm clothing during the tour as the temperature inside the cave is around 44 degrees Fahrenheit.
Loved It! Climbing down into the caves was awesome! Like only seen in the movies. Even if the park is closed and the main cave is closed, there are still other open caves to explore and a beyond piece full beautiful hike. Please bring a change of cloths and shoes if going in the caves as a rare fungus from in the caves can harm the natural habitat. Aside from that, have a great time!

My son's and I loved our tour through the caves. Don't forget to make a reservation. Our guide was very knowledgeable and fun. The caverns are glorious and such a site to see. It's a wonderful educational experience for most all ages. Make sure to read all the info and know before you go. And if you have the energy, hike to the top of the mountain after the cave tour to get an amazing view!

It was a nice cave to visit and very easy. The roads are being repaired. You need to arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled ticket time. Drop off your party way past the parking lot at the visitors center. Google may route to the gate entrance, it's 6 miles past this to the parking lot
It's pitifully small compared to caves back east. Mostly a local attraction.
They have a nice trail continuing in a loop up the mountain with some small canes after you are done with the tour.

Great place to visit and go hiking. There is lots to see, plenty of wildlife if you are quiet and fantastic views.

The tour was informative. The rock formations in the caves were awesome. I would like to take the candle cave tour sometime. I would also like to stay at the Chateau after they reopen it and hike some of the trails around the caves. After you finish the tour, take the longer trail back to the Visitor Center. The views are spectacular.

I was on a retro tour of my youth and revisited the site after a couple decades. I was pleased to see the place was largely the same as when I was a kid. The lodge where my family and I stayed was closed, but the pool in the back that used to house a breakfast cafe was still accessable, though the ghosts of breakfasts past were all that remained of my memory of the place. Tour was informative, path was user friendly for the most part and even in clostrophbic conditions I still felt fairly uncaged. Wouldn't recommend sandals tho... definitely bring a hoodie

It was an amazing tour. Inside the cave it was about 44 degrees, so be sure to bring a jacket. The tour was about 1 hour and 30 mins and it was truly worth it. The guide we have was very knowledgeable about the caves and went into detail about the formations. There are some low areas (45 inches at the lowest) and some pretty steep stairs. It is very amazing though, I would definitely recommend it.

So if you have experience with other caves, you might not be impressed but otherwise this was a good experience. Heck the road up was half the fun. The cave is illuminated and the 1 mile trip is pretty well laid out and even the 523 stairs weren't too bad though some can be slippery. At 90 minutes, I still would have liked it to be a bit longer to get more pictures. Our guide, Tyler did a fine job telling us the story and history of the cave.

I loved the Oregon caves! It was a magical experience!
I visited on a Saturday in July. My companion and I hadn’t reserved a tour. We ended up calling the Illinois Valley Visitor Center - they gave us a heads up about available tours and timings. So, we drove to the Illinois Valley Visitor center (which is on the way to the main Oregon Caves visitor center from where the tours start) to make reservations for the discovery tour. You can purchase the tour tickets here and then proceed to the caves.
Since self-guided tours are not permitted(and for good reason), do plan for and get reservations in advance if you can!
The route from the Illinois Valley visitor center to the caves is only 15-20 miles - but takes an hour due to the uphill winding road.
The caves themselves were awesome!! The stalagmites, stalactites, columns, draperies, bacon ribbons, etc. were so beautiful! The tour itself was super informative too! A shout out to the rangers here - they were awesome and shared very interesting geological information throughout the tour. My favorite parts of the tour were the ghost room, lost paradise and the part where the ranger turned off the lights to give a feel of how dark it truly is down there!! 😅
While we didn’t have time to explore other trails in here, the whole Siskiyou forest around looked gorgeous!!

A very interesting hike with a decent amount of history behind the caves. My tour guide was very knowledgeable and considerate while leading the group through the caves.
I will admit I was a little disappointed by how constructed (flat platforms, grated walkways, and spotlight lighting throughout) the cave was; having explored other less frequented caves before I enjoy the natural/rugged atmosphere of caves but I understand the reason for the construction to make it more accessible as a national park, just not as much my cup of tea.
Regardless a really unique and interesting experience, at ~$20 per person, that is very easily accessible by anyone regardless of age. (Light stooping required for taller individuals, and ~500 stairs total over the whole 1 mile tour.) Plenty of flushing bathrooms at both the lower parking lot (1M 1F) and at the visitor center (1M 1F).

This was an incredible experience! Well worth the drive up to the cave site. It was unique, fascinating, and a little bit spooky (but there are lights throughout the whole system, so if you don't want it to be dark the guide can adjust). Our guide was so friendly and told cool facts and stories about the caves, let us stop and appreciate the weird and wonderful finds along the way, and let us see things with various lighting. The distance wasn't an issue, as we stopped many times along the route. There's even a side exit if needed. We also left the cave and headed up to the view point on the way back to the visitors center and it was such a gorgeous view.

It’s a long windy road to get here. I’m in a 22’ skoolie and it was a bit white knuckle, but worth it. The campground south of here is amazing (NP not hookups but quiet and beautiful), but know there is not shade (that lasts for more than an hour) in this parking lot for furry friends, and it gets HOT. Tour is around 2 hours, I’ve done a lot of cave tours, and loved it. Be sure to get tickets because they do sells out quickly (in the summer).

Had a kinda unnecessarily long but very cool tour through the caves on the discovery tour. It took longer because there were people in our group who were purposefully move as slow as possible through the cave. Really neat formations throughout.
Eleni Clare — Google review
1/2 hour from highway— the tour took over an hour inside a chilly cave— only 13 people per tour, no clothing from other Cave can be worn due to spreadable diseases
The Visitor Center explains conditions inside the Cave…. Must be able to crouch down and Waddle Walk short distances
In wet slippery conditions
Over 500 steep steps up and down
Inside the cave. Not recommended for young children or anyone with claustrophobia — bring a jacket!

What an interesting adventure to the Oregon caves. I would recommend the cave tour which was $10 for an adult and $6 for a child. You'll learn a lot. If you get a small group consider yourself lucky! It's 44 degrees inside the cave. Pants are beneficial but you can buy them in the gift store near the museum if you forget yours. Kids sweat pants are $30! I went with shorts and a hoody.... I survived! The drive up the mountain goes all the way to the end of the road so you can't get lost. Just go straight. You can buy a tour ticket right in the office/ museum but you might have to wait a bit incase the tours are already full. Small hikes are available, there's a swinging bench near a little pond it's a nice spot to snack and relax. There's a small interactive museum for kids, coloring station. You can get your junior ranger badge if you pass the test as well. Have a great adventure and watch your head! 500 steps and a 16% vertical grade incline at the end so hiking boots are beneficial if you want to be more prepared.
Beach dotted with striking rock formations, bird-watching sites, trails & a campground with yurts.
This is my favorite OR coast campground. I love all the basalt rocks on the shore here. There are 4 beaches, separated by rocky outcroppings. At low tide you can walk around the rocks separating the northernmost beach and it’s neighbor.
The beaches are all different; my favorite is the small Rocky Beach which is the 3rd one counting from north to south. This beach has some sand and a lot of short basalt rocks with sea stars and sea anemones and several enormous basalt rocks just beyond the shore in the water.m
On Beach 2 you can walk around a huge rock at low tide if you don’t mind wading just a bit. On the back side you are between two enormous rocks. There are many sea stars, limpets, barnacles, and sea anemones clinging to the base of those rocks.
Beach 1 is very small unless you wade across the creek which isn’t more than several inches deep, but of course the water is cold.
From the campground there is a trail through the woods to the access for beaches 1 and 2. They also have parking there. Another trail from the campground takes you to beach 3, the Rocky one. And down the entrance road a bit is a trail to beach 4, the southern most one. That beach is very wide and extends well beyond the park. Beaches 1-3 are only accessible from the park. We visit in February, usually, and none of the beaches are crowded, but there are always more than one family there.

Nice well maintained park. The staff were pleasant, the guests were pleasant, the maps they provide were helpful to show us all the trails that are around there. The beach is beautiful with nice big waves. Everyone seems to know it's a good one. There are rarely spots available at this park. We did a random impromptu visit because we happened to notice they had a spot available! I would definitely recommend a visit. It is good to note that it is also a day use park not just a campground. So if they don't have sites available you can still use the day use area.

Best Campground location in Brookings! Ocean View from Yurt we stayed at. Large picnic table and fire pit at each Yurt site. Clean restrooms and showers. Playground for kids with lots of fun equipment to play on. Excellent hiking trails for view above the beach or down path straight to parking lot at Harris Beach. Firewood available for sale at camp host. Very pet friendly!

frequently visited spot for sunsets. Plenty available free parking. Just wish there was another restroom facility closer to where we had parked. Also the trail was a bit steep down to the water. Pretty beach. Dog friendly- we weren’t the only one with our puppy. We came to see the tide pools but had no luck at this time.

Calming waves and seagulls flying around make this a wonderful spot for an early morning walk. Public restrooms are available and the park is open 8am to 8pm. If you're nearby stop and see this beautiful slice of nature.

One of the best campgrounds I’ve been to. FREE showers ! Nice clean campsite that are not close together. Beautiful beach nearby , quiet hours & it is respected. Yurt for rent as well , RV hook ups , beach has disable access as well as showers are disable friendly . Highly recommend.

We make an annual trek here every winter to camp, as we enjoy the beach any time of year and it is less busy then. The showers are hot and the campground is well kept. We have a small RV and love the ocean view sites very much.

What an awesome place to camp! We stayed for 4 nights and it was wonderful. Campsites clean, well maintained. Bathrooms always clean, showers worked great. Convenient places to dump trash. The path to the bathroom is well lit for nighttime trips. The weather here was mild in July because you are right by the beach. The beach access is great, easy parking. A+++ would recommend!

This is one of the best beaches in Oregon, my grandfather would bring us here every year to teach us about the sea life in the tide pools. It's always clean, never crowded and full of incredible creatures to observe. You won't regret visiting 💗

Beautiful campground, 🚲 allowed. Caution with large trailures backing in to your spot can be tricky. Single Showers, bathrooms for 3 threwout. Full hookup or limited depending on cost, tent sites or trailures in same loops. Good for the price. Wildlife does visit so put trash away don't leave food out. We had a small skunk one night, thankfully our dog slept threw(dogs allowed on leash) or we may have been sprayed. Beautiful greenery and flowers, saw stellar Jay's , Robin's, crows, hummingbirds in July-August.
Short walk downhill to the beach, path needs fixed wear good 👞. Beautiful beach, often shells, stones, drift wood, crabs, sea grass, sometimes starfish visible on rocks to the left. No fires on beach allowed.

Harris Beach has been my favorite beach along the Oregon coast. I have been going there every year since I was 13. I took some of my husband's ashes and left them there. That was our favorite place to go also. We were married for 40 years and went over at least once every year. He asked that I leave part of him there, so I did. It is so beautiful and peaceful there.

The beach was absolutely beautiful. Cool and overcast, perfect beach day. Amenities: overlook, picnic area, bathrooms, outdoor shower & outdoor foot shower and most importantly for us, a handicap ramp for our son. Highly recommend!

I normally tent camp. But I was down for several days for work and needed something a bit more and didn’t want to pay for a hotel. In comes the only available Yurt at Harris Beach State Park.
Nice campground. I have been before. Always as a tenter. But got my hybrid tent/hotel experience this time with a Yurt. New floors. Well maintained. Friendly staff.
Campground and bathrooms and showers were very clean. Really close to Brookings. Great beach access. There is a playground nearby for kids and plenty of hiking near by as well.
Only complaint is the firewood they sell sucks. It is super wet. So. Bring at least one bundle of dry wood if you buy from here. Mix the dry with on site wood to get fire going.

Excellent state park facility with friendly staff, quiet campers, amazing views, and good privacy. The shrubs between sites make the closeness of the camps feel quite secluded. The beach walking is a 10/10! We really enjoyed sun setting over the scenic coast. The water pressure in the showers is incredible too.

Love this beach! Easy to find, right off the highway, plenty of parking. A little steep incline to get down to the beach but otherwise a very nice beach with beautiful views! The bathroom area even had a little foot washing station to wash the sand off your feet which I thought was really cool.

Definitely one of my favorite state parks in all of Oregon. The campground is pristine and the short walk to the beach provides some of the most spectacular views on the southern coast!
Dense groves of massive, old-growth redwoods, 20 miles of trails & a campground with cabins.
If you want to be humbled, this is where you go. Incredibly amazing drive through a forest of redwoods! If you drive thru here and feel nothing... then you're dead inside. This is one of those places that make you feel like you just feel into a journey to the center of the earth scene. Gorgeous!

I'm fifty and this was my first trip to see the redwoods. I hugged these trees, literally. And spent my time there in awe. Such giants.
The park and facilities were clean and well kept. The trails and campgrounds were very nice, though I felt like a dinosaur might appear on the path of that primeval forest at any moment.
The park's proximity to both the coast and lovely Smith River makes it even better, Highly recommend!

27 years later and I’m finally visiting the redwoods. It brought goosebumps to see how large these redwood giants are. The beauty here does not compare to anything I’ve seen in my life. The best part about it was how me and my boyfriend were the only ones on a trail and we did not see a soul. It allowed us to enjoy our time here more since it was not busy.

This National Park is absolutely mind-blowing! I was lucky enough to explore this incredible place with my granddaughter, and let me tell you, she was completely blown away by the sheer size of the redwoods. We had an absolute blast hiking through the picturesque trails, and the best part was meeting so many fascinating people from all corners of the globe. It was such a rejuvenating experience – while everyone else was roasting in the scorching sun, we were basking in the cool shade of the towering trees. The intoxicating scent of the redwoods permeating the air was truly something special. And let me tell you about the water – it was so crystal clear that it created an illusion of shallowness, allowing us to see every individual rock at the bottom. Unbelievable!

How anyone can rate this place less than 5 is beyond me.
It’s like being in a forested cathedral, just unbelievable.
Highly recommend the Fern Canyon hike. Definitely head up to redwood park and see the Grove of the Titans.

This park is home to some amazing trees! Walking among these ancient giants makes you feel small and temporary. The dense forest is a joy to walk through, exploring not only the large and small trees, but also creeks that wind through the forest and create their own beauty as well. The well maintained trails allow you to explore without too much effort and is an easy walk from the parking for families and children. Prepare to be awed by the majesty of the Jedediah Smith Redwoods Park - it’s unforgettable!

What a majestic area! Absolutely beautiful! The trees are unbelievable and there are trails everywhere! We walked out into the woods and some of the ferns were as tall as we were. We did see a variety of different mushrooms of different colors that were very interesting. Nice long hikes and the beautiful ocean is right there for lots of shelling and long walks as well. Can’t say enough about the beauty of the redwoods.

Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park offers driving, walking, hiking, kayaking, & camping opportunities to enjoy the beauty of old growth redwoods and the Smith River. We enjoyed the River Beach and Nature Trails right from the campground. We drove on Howland Hill Rd to hike Stout Grove, Grove of the Titans and Boy Scout Tree Trail. Beautiful.

Redwoods are big, tall, beautiful and distinct. Jedediah Smith Redwoods park is a part of Redwoods National Park ecosystem and needles to say it is absolutely Free to visit unlike many other National Parks. You don’t even have to make reservations! Parking is somewhat limited, especially at the Boy Scout Tree Trail, I would say about 10 cars are able to find spots. We did not have a map of trails and still were able to hike. You will meet other people on trails and if any questions just ask:) Same Boy Scout Tree Trail confused us, when we entered it was written 2.8 miles distance but be aware it’s a distance to the tree so double it for the entire hike (5.6 miles a trail). That trail in particular is somewhat difficult, steps up and down and wet dirt, especially if you hiking after it was raining and no pavement. Other trails much shorter there are some not even a 1 mile hikes. Restrooms are at every trail so no need to panic:) Closest place to grab some snacks probably Crescent city (approx 10-12 miles away).

The Grove of Titans trail was the perfect length and experience for our group. We took our time and took lots of photos, so took a good hour or more from the trailhead to the "Heart of the Forest", but it could be done in about 20 mins. If you're going here however, you shouldn't rush! It's amazing! I'll let the pics speak for themselves.

We only got to do 2 of the several trails, Simpson Reed trail and Grove of Titans. We also did the driving trail. Just those 3 took us over 3 hours to do and we were kind of rushing. It was cold, damp and slippery so be prepared properly to watch the weather and wear the right shoes. Elderly or disabled will probably have a hard time on the Grove of Titans as the path up is steep. The trees are incredible. I wish people would respect nature and not carve in them, dead or alive. It would be amazing to come back and spend and entire day. We saw no animals just some snails and slugs. Oh, driving into the Grove of Titans is very snug one way road so drive carefully.

An absolutely wonderful place to visit with the family! My visit was with a group of adults but I wish I had my littles ones with me that day. The Redwoods are breathtaking and with such a short hike, they would have loved to explore all the nooks and crannies of the place. There’s access to a waterway to enjoy. Small creeks and larger river access is there. Everyone around us seemed to be just as happy to explore the grounds. It’s a gem to visit!

I took so many photos, we were there almost all day. We went on the trails and drove the 6 miles on Howland Hill Road, you’ll be on a glorious back road through lovely Redwoods. The trees are huge. This can be a bit rough but not with potholes or anything (I have been on allot worse. You don’t want to take a vehicle over 21 feet. There is trees very close together. The road is only made to drive one vehicle so you must move over when another vehicle approaches. Bring a lunch, hiking shoes and have a great time. No dogs allowed on all trails they do allow on some: so be prepared.

Absolutely one of our favorite spots to stop! No day fee at a few pullout spots along the road. The campground area has one but worth it for the swimming area! I'll never get over how massive these trees are and can only imagine the root systems. This spot had a 1 mile loop on flat and easy ground.

This place is so amazing. We stayed at the campground and it was a very awe-inspiring place. The rangers were all very knowledgeable and helpful, one even told us about where to see the Salmon Spawning (the bridge on Walker Road) and that was probably one of the coolest things we saw on our trip!
The Trees of Mystery is a picturesque destination that showcases chainsaw tree sculptures, an aerial tramway, and a 35-foot Paul Bunyan statue. Visitors can explore interpretive trails through the Giant Redwoods and discover unusual tree formations along the Trail of Mysterious Trees. The area is also home to different types of redwood trees, providing visitors with a beautiful experience as they wander through the scenic trail.
Such a fun place! It's been there since 1931 and in talking to my mom, both my grandparents and great grandparents had been there. Lots of neat history here, and the trees are amazing! I would have paid the entrance fee just for the suspended walkways alone. Takes about 2-3 hours to see everything at a slower pace and taking photos, so you don't need to plan to spend the whole day here. There are lots of free trailheads to add to your adventure, but we really felt this one was worth paying for.

Awesome place to visit! I believe it's like $20 for entrance. Love the views & all the crazy trees! 🌳 Went with friends & family, had a blast walking around & taking the gondola to the top. Trail down vs going back on gondola is a 6 a best between 1-10 for difficulty. If you're completely out of shape, not recommend trail back down from gondola. Great sights from heights to looking up. Crazy nature! Reminds me of the mystery spot but much bigger for a place! I would recommend visiting. The weather up north is so much fresh & colder compared to being from the bay. Had an exciting time.

What an amazing experience in the redwoods. Loved the sky trail, if you are looking for some adventure and experience how truly giant and majestic redwoods are then definitely do this sky trail. Even the gondola ride was perfect. The view on the ridge on the top is breathless. Overall really worth the ticket for all the experience.

A wonderful experience. I had read an article b about this place, and it completely lived up to the expectations.
We really enjoyed the sky tram, which gives you great views of the forest below.
The sky walk in the canopy of the trees is definitely an experience. If you are at all motion sick, this may not be the best idea or be prepared for the swaying when you and others walk. The spiral staircase is also not for the faint of heart on the walk. Both of those are inclusive of the price and can be experienced more than once.
I thoroughly enjoyed the tall tale section, and it was wonderful to be able to listen to the story on the podium and see all the wonderful wood carvings.
The gift shop is fairly encompassing and has lots to offer, including one of my favorites getting a pressed penny. The pressed penny here is $1.
I also enjoyed the Native American Museum that is inside of the gift shop. It was organized by regional sections.

This is a great experience for families. Good price for a beautiful walk in the woods & gondola ride to a magnificent view. Kids can learn a lot about these majestic trees that are hundreds of years old & impervious to pests. The trail down from the gondola is a very steep walk, so not recommended for families or anyone that is not in shape to hold themselves back on steep, slippery downhills but it is very beautiful & quiet.

Very fun trail. The canopy trail was the best part. We ended up leaving before we could get to the Sky Trail because the line was too long, so we walked back.

Trees of Mystery was a lot of fun but my wife may have other things to say.
We enjoyed the many displays they had there. The canopy tour was definitely nerve wrecking, my wife was tripping out! Similarly the gondola ride to the top was a real experience. I cannot recommend this attraction highly enough. I’m not one to stop at these types of road side attraction but this one was worth it’s salt. 5/5

Great time! Spent about 2 hours here as our group got here early and there was no wait for the gondola and we weren’t crowded while doing the canopy bridges and walkways. The trees, history and care of the property are amazing. Highly recommend and with a ticket price of just $25 it seemed too inexpensive.

If you are in the area, you got to check this place out. This place is just really gorgeous. Huge parking lot, really clean bathroom. I saw only one bathroom in the woods which is only when you take the sky trail to the top ...but that too was not working so make sure visit before you go. I had the most amazing time, I can just sit there, close my eyes and listen to the trees for hours. Unfortunately the time and rain did not let me but I made the most of my time. Talking about the trees, these trees are not called giants for no reason. Iam just amazed walking surrounded by these beautiful piece of art. And right in the middle the rope bridges are definitely the cherry on top. It's so beautiful that anything anyone says won't do justice because you got to see it yourself. Tickets $20 which includes the sky trail. Have fun.

My daughter and I are traveling around OR and found a flyer for TOM at the airport. We visited and were not disappointed. Being from Texas, I always love seeing the redwoods when I am on the west coast. We waited about 30 minutes to ride the gondola but we’re warned the wait was an hour long when we were buying tickets. It was worth the wait. We chose to walk down from the top despite numerous signs warning it was a tough hike. At 50 years old, but active, I made it without too much of an issue. My 13 yo daughter was tired at the bottom but not too bad. Some sections were very steep though. Love the trees, the skyway, and the gondola ride. Would highly recommend a visit to everyone in the area.

Sixty five years young and I had never visited the redwood forest.
Well I finally have done it.
And what better place to do it than at the "Trees of Mystery"!
We stumbled upon it and decided to. Heck it out.
Lots of cool stuff to get your picture with out front.
Walk up and pay and get a wrist band which gives you access to everything inside, and there is a LOT inside. Trails to wander through the trees.
Overhead rope bridges so you actually are up in the trees themselves instead of just down by the bases. Lots of interesting signage telling you lots of history.
A gondola ride to the top of the mountain for a spectacular view.
You can either walk down the one mile trail or ride the gondola back down.
We chose the walk.
There is a very nice museum and gift shop at the end of the trail.
Excellent place to visit.

Amazing. Expensive but the various activities make it worth it to see such cool trees. Fun activities. Such amazing and varied trees. Sky rope walk was incredible to be so high up and truly see how big the trees are. Sky Tram was really fun too. What a great addition. 15 and 17 year old boys enjoyed it as well.

This was a surprise that my bestie planned for my birthday. When we arrived it was raining and kinda cool out but it really set the mood for the whole day. This place is magical, the trees the canopy walk, the rain and the scenery was amazing! This was by far my favorite activity!! I loved this and the gondola topped the cake. I definitely recommend this place.

I had alot of fun at this place! Specially for only $25 The trees are amazing, the canopy trail was great and the gondola ride was so cool you could see the ocean from the top. There were so many wood sculptures and they were very detailed 👍.

Pretty cool place, I should’ve looked into it more because I thought it would be a hiking experience; there was an option to hike about 1-2 miles back down at the top of the gondola instead of riding it back down and the suspension bridges were fun. I felt it was geared more towards kids/families but it was still worth checking out. It was chilly and raining when we went so it wasn’t busy.

Great place to visit. Mild hike with hanging bridge with those tall trees. Then a Gondola to the top. The gondola was fun but not much view up there since the trees are covering. One thing that amazed me was the Brotherhood Tree. Such a sight to see and cant believe how large they could get. Compared to us, they live tall and thousands if years
The gift shop is also nice with lots of souvenirs

This place was so fun! My boyfriend and I went and weren’t sure what to expect, as the place seems like it might be a bit of a tourist trap. However there is actually a lot to see on the trail, and do. The gondola was pretty cool and there is a walk way/bridge that goes between a few of the trees as many have posted photos about. They also have several variations of the redwoods, a few different cathedral trees and others worth seeing. The Native art museum is definitely worth seeing even if you don’t buy tickets for the trail. They have a huge gift shop as well. For 25$ a ticket I felt like we got our money’s worth.

Another bucket list checked off! What an amazing adventure for me and the kids to experience. I would recommend this to everyone who is in the area. It's beautiful and so cool.

Super fun place. Worth the admission and time wandering if you are in it for the tree!
Off season - able to go up and down the gondola without lines multiple times. The tree bridge are we went on 3x. Kids loved it. Gift shop and Native American museum was a fun walk through. Didn't take the skytrail based on others (wet, advanced, 1hr long). Really neat place overall and got to see the giant Paul and Blue!

Amazing experience. The mystery begins with majesty of old trees through the suspension bridges. Then there’s a short gondola ride to the view point. If the whether is nice you should be able to see the ocean from up there.
There are some stair up and down the bridges. But it’s an easy and short hike.
We loved the museum and really enjoyed the amazing art of Native Americans and purchased some handmade pieces from the museum.

Went when it wasn’t busy on a rainy Saturday morning when they first opened. $25 for a ticket. On nice days I’d probably buy in advance. Definitely a tourist attraction. Clean trails/facility. Lots of parking. Bathrooms on the outside BEFOREEEE you do the trails and canopy. There is another bathroom by the gondola. Pick up a map on your way in since the trails cross. You could be walking for hours depending on your pace. We saw everything in 2 hours. There’s Beautiful trees and woodworking. I’d go do do trails more up north by the giants if you really want to be immersed by the trees. There is a gift shop you have get some snacks at after and buy gifts. Across the street is a motel and cafe.
Redwood National and State Parks is a vast forested area filled with towering redwood trees, campgrounds, and hiking trails. It is the southernmost part of a collection of state and federally administered lands under the Redwood National & State Parks umbrella. The park offers several options for hiking, including Lady Bird Johnson Grove with its kid-friendly 1-mile loop trail or Tall Trees Grove for secluded serenity.
Came to look at the trees to find a wedding/photo venue. The park ranger at the info center was knowledgeable and pleasant. Everything was nice.
As far as the park goes, this is an amazing national park and I am happy to know my tax dollars here are for such a great use.
Trees are massive and it is crazy to stand next to them. Trails are well maintained.

I was so overdue for a visit to walk amongst the giants, right along the ocean! Soaking up prehistoric beauty along old Hwy 101, Prairie Creek area, for the day. It's magical, moving, and a perfect reset for the soul.

Absolutely stunning and definitively worth visiting..! Don't overlook the short but very beautiful Ah-Pah Interpretative Trail.. you won't find better views in an otherwise very compact 0.4 miles round trip trail! Only downside for that trail - not a lot of parking at the trailhead.

We took a couple of trails in Jedediah Smith and Prairie Creek during our family trip. Seeing the Redwoods was on my bucket list. It was magical. If you enjoy nature and hiking I highly recommend it. There is no place on earth like it.

An absolutely stunning place to visit and walk amongst the largest trees anywhere in the world. The Tall Trees Grove Trail is well worth your time and I would highly recommend getting the permit and taking the hike. You can’t fully realize the true size of these trees until you see them in person and realize just how impressive they truly are.

Nice quiet place trees are fantastic some of the side roads are rough but worth going up. Elk prairie lives up to its name since wild elk are constantly present in the area. Great views from the coastal trail.

Being among these ancient trees truly feels amazing. It's almost like going back in time to when these redwoods covered most of America at one point. Every stop you take, whether on the side of a road or within the state parks, is breathtaking. No photo will capture or do full justice to the serenity and magnitude of the Redwoods.

This place is confusing, the nps and state split is overlapping. Great driftwood and crashing surf pull offs. Obviously much more to see and hike, but not straight forward for a tourist driving through on the 101

Redwood National and State Parks will always be one of my favorite places on the planet. Pay to park, camp, or get a yearly pass and hike the easy, well maintained trails. In the spring and summer be wary of poison oak off of the trails, but if you stick the to the trails and leave leaves of three alone you shouldn't get it. This is a great location for camping with family and friends and day trips, but my favorite use of these magnificent parks is meeting my clients here for photoshoots that look like they came from a storybook!

Absolutely breathtaking!!! No picture or video could ever do this place justice. While driving through this place you will see that they are indeed massive. It’s not until you get out and do some trails that you realize the trees get so much bigger deeper in the forest. It’s dead quiet which really makes it peaceful. I really did love it here and can’t wait to come back and see more trails. It is damp inside the forest so be ready for that. It really makes you think about how small you are in this world. Its also makes you realize how terrible humans have been to cut down such enormous trees for money. So do yourself a favor and take a hike through this ancient forest and fall in love with it!

Figuring out the Redwoods was confusing. I didn't understand that it was four separate parks, all next to each, other until I got there and started exploring in person. Once you get the lay of the land, however, it is a pretty straightforward experience. Tons of beautiful trails to explore and even some off-road options for your four-wheel drive vehicle as well as some beach trails. I definitely recommend making the drive up and I wish I would have done it sooner.

Beautiful and magnificent trees. Views are breathtaking. Drury scenic parkway is nice and easy drive up and down with a lot of trail heads within easy walk. Saw hollow trees,”The Big Tree” and twisted tree.

Finally got this off my bucket list. I was mesmerized by this place. The trees and forest in all of its glory... You can look up all the pictures but to see them in person is a completely different feeling and site. You have to see them. The roads are crazy beautiful sights as well. The sun peaking through the canopy... .an of man. What a beautiful place!

Nestled within the USA, the Redwood Forest beckons with its great charm. As I wandered through the woods, the towering redwoods stood tall, casting a serene atmosphere. Their grandness is somewhat humbling, a reminder of nature's quiet strength.
Walking along the well-marked trails, the forest's peaceful ambiance gave me goosebumps. The filtered sunlight created a gentle play of light and shadows, enhancing the sense of calm. The air was crisp and carried the earthy scent of the forest floor.
During my visit, the forest felt like a secluded haven. Away from the urban bustle, it's a place to unwind and relax. The sounds of birds and rustling leaves provided a soothing backdrop, creating a harmonious escape.
While the Redwood Forest may not be the most flamboyant attraction, its understated beauty is its true charm. It's a place to pause, reflect, and reconnect with nature. If you're seeking a quiet retreat amidst these towering giants, this forest offers a serene haven to experience the tranquility of the great out doors.

It's a beautiful park and perfect for hikers. That's pretty much the whole park, hiking trails. No entry fee. Worth the stop if you're in the area. Unless you are a serious hiker, probably not worth a multi day drive to get there. I'm disabled so I only did 3 short hikes. It was beautiful, but my husband had to hike alone after the first 3.

Amazing and dramatic, this is an astounding series of trails, groves, and drives that are well worth your time
Make sure to bring the right clothes and boots if you visit during the rainy season because you will get very wet

Wow. What a truly underrated National Park! So beautiful! Lots of areas to do small, interesting little hikes if you have kids or are otherwise unable to hike several miles. The sequoias are truly a sight to see. The mountains are being too, and driving down into Fresno is a beautiful transition from deep forest to sprawling plains. Can’t wait to come back for a weekend and hike more of it!

It was so pretty here! There is plenty of parking for RVs and cars. Sadly one of the scenic drives was closed due to a landslide. The trails were not bad at all for being rainy on the day we went. We did trillium falls and Karl’s trail and they both were amazing. Definitely recommend this national park!

These National Parks are very popular and unique because of their tallest trees on Earth. Different types of trees are found throughout the parks including the oldest ones. Big trunks and huge lengths will make you mesmerizing. Redwood as home to the tallest trees on Earth. But the Parks also protect vast prairies, oak woodlands, wild rivers, and 40 miles of rugged coastline.

It is a great National Park. It’s completely different from South and North California. I went there in November , the week of Thanksgiving. It’s free to get inside the Park. There are countless views and different feelings driving from south to north. The people at visit centers are very kind, patient, enthusiastic to answer questions!

This place makes you feel like you are in Jurassic park. These trees are absolutely humongous and make me feel so tiny in comparison. There are so many great areas to take pictures and videos as well as many trails/hikes along the road. I love how green and fertile everything is around the Red Woods.
