Such a cute little general store with so many different things to offer including moccasins! The fishing and hunting store was fully loaded with bait & tackle and anything else you can imagine (including beef jerky and pepperettes). I think the only thing they could do to improve is maybe add a chip stand! I'm sure they'd make a killing. Staff was friendly, stores were clean, highly recommend stopping!

Fantastic general store. Something for everyone and prices are reasonable. Also a bait and tackle shop where you pay for gas. Roadway is a bit busy and parking lot isn’t gigantic but still enough room for rv and trailers. It’s definitely worth the stop to shop.
John Pye — Google review
Absolutely great store selling local artifacts and cottage memorabilia, The adjacent store is a fishing and bait store, My son and son-in-law where drooling when they saw this. There are restrooms here, and staff are great.

Extremely friendly service in a beautiful location, including full-service gas station, bait shop, and public restrooms. Browse the gift shop for a wide range of items: jewelry, clothing, toys, collectibles, and more.

Wow one of the best little bait shops. For its size you will not find any better. Great staff great choices in all lures and rods.
4.2Amazing park. 3 beaches (one with a volleyball net) to choose from. Dog beach. Off leash area. Most of the sites we saw had a great distance between them, meaning great privacy. Paddling, biking and hiking will keep you busy for your stay. Washrooms and comfort stations are well... comfortable. We will definitely be back in the future. We would recommend this site.
Note: the reason why 4.2 was given is because Restoule lake is shared with cottages. They can get noisey at times and the sound will Travel across the lake.

We did car camping at this provincial park. We also hiked a lot of their trails - including the Fire Tower Trail which is a moderate hike and with a great view! The park is clean with a lot of comfort stations / vault toilets also kept very clean. The trails are well marked and easy to find. There are a couple of easy paddle in campsites as well which means there are a variety of activities for all skill levels. The one downside of this park as well as many others is that the campsites are not the most private and are close together, meaning that if you have loud neighbours (like we did) it can damper your experience. Overall it was a good time….would probably go back to check out the paddle in sites but that’s it.
Orsolya — Google review
My wife and I our 4 night stay here, found the fire tower trail a nice half day activity. The lookout over Stormy lake was the highlight (there is no lookout at the fire tower). We rented a canoe and paddled around Stormy Lake - found a secluded beach for a stop and a back country campsite for lunch. We enjoyed our visit. The kettle Point campground is well serviced and the comfort stations were clean. Park staff were helpful.
brian mclellan — Google review
Walked to the fire tower as a nice mid winter hike. Winter has been mild so the snow wasn't too deep but was mucky along the way. Great view from the lookout and a nice spot to have a snack at the tower before heading back down. Great hiking trail!
Julie Dudgeon — Google review
What can I say, Restoule is a beautiful place. The views from the dock to the cliff side overlooking Stormy. The park amenities are well kept and clean. Our campsite was excellent. Some sites are a little wet and/or swampy. The roads are easy to navigate however some turns are alittle tight if you have a trailer longer than 30 feet. Overall great experience a definite must visit park.
miniman235312 — Google review
We got a group site, you need 15 people minimum to book this site. It was huge, secluded and so much fun. We had a mini beach to be shared between two group sites.
The park was nice, the beach was very nice and sandy. Also water was quite shallow as well, so warmed up fast.
Bathrooms were not so clean. It was always wet, muddy and extremely smelly. I wish people would wipe after themselves. My biggest complaint about this provincial park.
Also mosquitoes. They ate us up. They were mutant mosquitoes - so large and hairy.
Mariam Sutarwala — Google review
It's one of my all-time favourite campgrounds. Restoule is a beautiful park with incredible lakes, trails, and camping. Beautiful vistas while canoing their many waterways and clear waters for swimming! The washroom and shower facilities were clean and well maintained. The park wood was terrible as it was wet and did nothing but sizzle.
Nice dock for launching canoes and kayaks.
Shelly Gauthier — Google review
Great park! Lots of hiking, great trails with various degrees of difficulty. Amazing views from the Tower trail but could be difficult for beginners. Sites were small but spread apart from neighbors and the dog beach was great for my lab!
Devon Morton — Google review
Went camping here last last summer. The camp site was great, the comfort stations were very clean. I spent my entire time chilling by the beach and enjoying star-watching, but my friends did fun things like kayaking and fishing too. Great place to go with friends and family :)
Prima Melissa D'souza — Google review
Spent only one night here at Kettle Point site 467. Was shaded with beautiful trees mostly sandy and levelled grounds. Each site comes with 2 picnic tables, fire pit, and privacy was great. Comfort station had showers which were very clean and the water was hot. I found this provincial park with very clean laundry facilities. Bathrooms were cleaned daily. The star gazing was amazing from the lake at night. People were friendly and park was fairly quiet. Dog beach was great, we enjoyed the water and made a few friends. Paddle boarding on the lake was great, not much boat traffic and the water was warm and clean. Overall was a magical getaway, and highly recommend bringing your loved one here for a romantic experience. Definitely coming next year for sure. Next time going to spend more nights there.
Amit Khatiwala — Google review
We had a great time! The powered sites are a bit less private than the non powered sites but a great park nonetheless. We spent 4 nights here in 2 sites and we especially loved our second site with it's own private beach. If it's available get a waterfront site, it's worth it. Lots of hiking, mountain biking and canoe/kayak trails and routes.
Jason Laferriere — Google review
One of the most incredible camping areas to visit. Has multiple lakes and scenery to enjoy

Spent a few nights here camping, site 37. Was shaded with afternoon sunshine, mostly sandy and level. Two picnic tables, fire pit, and privacy was great. Comfort station had showers which were very clean and the water was hot. Laundry facilities available. Bathrooms were cleaned daily. Was able to hear the loons from the lake at night and the star gazing was amazing. People were friendly and park was fairly quiet. Dog beach was great, my girl enjoyed the water and made a few friends. Paddle boarding on the lake was great, not much boat traffic and the water was warm and clean. Overall was a magical getaway, and highly recommend bringing your loved one here for a romantic experience.

So far so good!! Since I was little I have seen the signs on Hwy 522 pointing to Restoule PP and have always wanted to go. Well here I am! Our site is great, but complete shade. The beach is wonderful, and we are about to go hiking! More pictures and thoughts to come.
Donya Stubbs — Google review
Perfect place to distress but not recommended for the weekend as it is much busier and noisy. It is not what I would expect from people who come to visit this spectacular place. Around 9pm, 5 cars arrived to the camp near us, all parked in 2 camping sites. The cars were left running for at least an hour with their headlight pointing right on us while we were enjoying our camp fire. People were talking loud, totally disturbing the peace and quietness of this lovely place. No respect for anyone around them. World has changed around us. There should be fines for those who disrespect provincial parks. How else are we going to change peoples' bad habits. Not to mention all the emission polutions from cars being left to run. Shame on you people!

Best farm in the region for berries and pumpkins! Very family friendly always a positive experience! Kids always enjoy the tractor drawn wagon ride to the picking fields
Derrick Blair — Google review
Beautiful Ontario strawberries - so sweet. Fun self picking in the fields accompanied by some music. Got a strawberry pie to enjoy as well. Overall, a great way to spend the day.
Whitney Pyper — Google review
Weekends in the Pumpkin Patch is always a fun, well organized event. I've been coming here since my son was six and he's 13 now and we always have an amazing time. It has all the things you would expect from a farm in October, corn maze, tractor ride, pumpkins galore. And also has a lot of extras like a haunted house, pumpkin cannon, live entertainment, bonfires, free cookies and hot chocolate. Admission is priced fairly. The bakery smells heavenly with all the delicious goods!
Jenny Nicole — Google review
Cute farm.......lots and lots of pumpkins (wide assortment of colours and sizes). Veggies and bakery products inside. They still have late harvest strawberries. They also have everything you need to do an Autumn porch......straw bales, cornstalks, etc.

It was a profound for me I never had an experience to see the cultivation of several fruits so here I got a chance, hope to have a revisit in upcoming seasons too. Must visit place...
FELIX SAJI — Google review
My husband and I took our teenage daughter for the afternoon, and we had such a great time. We went through the corn maze, did the haunted barn, went on a wagon ride to roast Marshmallows, and had hotdogs and apple cider. Then, we shot pumpkins out of a cannon. We had such a good time that we are planning to make the trip yearly.
Shanon Parker — Google review
Best farm, hands-down. We live in the GTA and prefer to travel for less crowds and the superior fruits/veggies Leisure Farms has to offer. Make sure to visit every summer/fall.
Kayla Smith — Google review
The smell when you walk into this place from the baked goods is so good. I had to take a moment just to enjoy it.
Todd Lepage — Google review
Always a great place to go!! Plenty of parking for our large Rv. FREE coffee and lots of fun for the kids. Pumpkins galore. Roast your own marshmallows and hotdogs which is a treat for us and the teenagers even had fun...which frankly they are hard to please.
Anne Hayduk — Google review
Hands down, the best, sweetest, juiciest strawberries I have ever had. All their produce are delicious - the corn and green beans were so good. I was glad to have visited this place during my trip. I heard their pies and pastries were also yummy however I have only had their butter tarts and those were delightful too! I am from Alberta and I still daydream about the strawberries. :)

The French River, a Canadian Heritage River in northeastern Georgian Bay, forms a crucial western link in the historic waterway that connects Ottawa River to Lake Huron. Pine-covered hills and pink granite bluffs surround thundering rapids, scenic channels, and blue lakes. The area offers excellent fishing opportunities, hiking trails for outdoor enthusiasts, peaceful camping spots with an atmosphere steeped in history.
Gorgeous Riverside Community!

The speed limit needs to be lowered ! You can easily go in the ditch at this speed!
Denise Duquette — Google review
I have paddled the western end of the French River for multiple times now. I keep returning because of the spectacular scenery...shattered rocks, scoured granite rock faces, awesome channels and islands to paddle around and explore, fishing, and always a sense of the history seeping into me. This first Canadian Heritage river designation where First Nation's traveller's, voyageurs, explorers, missionaries all came before. A jewel in Canada's park system.

A great place to stop for a meal, some fudge, and to look at all the lovely little knick-knacks. Wonderful staff who truly make the stop that much more special. A nice grassy spot to let your four legged friend stretch their legs as well. We always stop here on our way up north and back again.

We have been going through the French River trading post for several decades now and love the atmosphere, the friendly staff and the merchandise here. The hungry bear restaurant attached to the property is an added bonus.
love the scenic beauty of French River and this place is nestled, right close to some of the most beautiful views in Ontario

The cutest gift shop on the 69 highway to Sudbury! You can get a lot of cute Canadian style home decor, clothing and art. Everything there is very high quality! The fudge is the best that I have had! If you see the wild blueberry fudge GET IT! You will not regret it!!!

Great area to stop at between Sudbury and Parry Sound. If you haven't been this way in a few years you need to know that access to it is via the service road. You can't turn off Hwy 69 directly to the parking lot. Still have the high quality moccasins in the store, and fudge!

First time there, something different for everyone
The hungry bear restaurant is good
Good was good prices are fair and the staff friendly
Dragonlord 5000 — Google review
I thought with the new divided it would be difficult to get to but it was easy. When going north when you see the trading post take the first exit you see on right and in two left turns you will be there.
Great service and quality food. Just as clean and comfortable as its been since 1956.. The gift shop will take you back in time. Don't miss out on this fantastic experience.
Rick Vaillancourt — Google review
A required stop on every drive up north, although it's a bit of a hike now to access. The washrooms are sometimes sprint to, but the snack at the restaurant is a bit more relaxed. Find all your needed fudge and other assorted goods at the trading post.

One of our favourite stops along the highway. Great place to buy your moccasins. Their fudge is delicious. Bathrooms are kept clean. The restaurant has delicious food, including vegetarian options (which is hard to find). They even had a little musical show for the kids.

Have heard about this place many times, but never had the chance to visit until today. Cute little store with awesome Indigenous art and clothing; books; jams, syrups, coffee/tea, etc; and other non-Indigenous other items. Not as much handcrafted trinkets as I had hoped (wanted a unique Christmas ornament (or something that could be used as such)), but not a game changer. Delicious fudge too.🙌🏼❤

Such a huge store!!! So many options for gifts and delicious homemade fudge. Highly recommend checking out this store if you are in the area.

Had a great stop yesterday with my 16 month old ! The service is fantastic in the restaurant and the trading post store. And the food was delicious. My 16 month old was over the moon for the hungry bear and Chocolate moose characters. We stop every time!!!
It is a must stop !!!
The Northern Ontario Railroad Museum & Heritage Centre is a museum situated in an early 1900s Victorian house, dedicated to preserving the region's railroad history. Along with the rail yard and old fire station, it offers visitors an enjoyable experience. The friendly and helpful staff make every visit worthwhile. Guests can look forward to annual events during Halloween and Christmas to see their splendid light display.
Amazing museum! The cottage is quaint and full of fabulous antiques. The rail artifacts, engines and box cars are in great shape and displayed in a beautiful outdoor setting. Allowing visitors to tour inside the boxcars and cottages you can feel a sense of the railroads’ historical legacy to northern Ontario and area. We received a personal tour from Frances and Eileen who are also very involved and active in the continued restoration and historical design set up of the box cars, cottages, gardens and museum overall. Joanne was our personal guide through the fire hall museum that housed an incredibly extraordinary model train exhibit. The “old” jail cell was quite interesting and a little spooky as well. This is a great place with lots to see and do for both children and adults. The staff are charming and their knowledge of the railroad and its story is entertaining and amazing. A definite place to visit if you are in the Sudbury vicinity.

Loved visiting and taking my special needs client there. I loved going inside the cabooses. My favorite was the train model set up in the basement. Owen gave us a guides tour. He did incredible!!!! Answered our questions and kept us engaged throughout the tour. My client was scared to come down the engine using the stairs and I spend a good 10-15 minutes verbally encouraging and talking him to get back down. Owen was very patient and helped me with making my client feel relaxed and calm to get down. Thanks a lot!! I will definitely be coming back. Well worth the money.
Jasmine Brar — Google review
Cool place. Inside the small museum there is lots of artefacts from the railroad building era and outside they have real locomotives and train cars. You can even go inside some of them. Removed one star because of the location. It was quite the detour to get there.
Pascal B?dard — Google review
Listen. I like the Rails, sometimes I even ride 'em. But this place has it all! My bud Bennett and I got the royal treatment, with our host Owen T giving us endless tidbits and #neatfacts. This guy says he wants to be an accountant, and if he handles the numbers like he handles the FACTS lemme tell you! You are in good hands.
There is another fellow named Owen, and he sold me one of those wicked train whistles. That is all I have to say about him. TBD.
A gem! (and they let you see the mini train world in the Heritage Centre, a delight for young and old!)

The house and grounds are beautiful and well taken care of. Pets are allowed outside and there is a play area for the kids.
The large model train layout is in the old fire hall a block or so away, and is well worth a look.

Fun for kids, some cool old trains you can go inside, model train at the fire station was cool. Kids love going in the trains and fire trucks. Good little stop if your in the area. There is a nice water near by for a second stop and hike

Great spot for an afternoon visit. I'd suspect it should take about 2 hours to normally go through the trains, house and historic police / fire station. Some train cars and locomotives you can go I side of which was neat. Kids loved the play structure.

Very fun visit today! The house was PACKED with interesting and intriguing items, photos and information. Exploring the various trains was a thrill.

A northern gem, the Railroad Museum is fun for families and interesting for all ages. The gardens are gorgeous, the playground is fun, and the trains are set up nicely with historic dioramas, plus a fun engine for kids to explore hands-on. Mine loved ringing the bells outside and watching the miniature train. There is a good picnic area and a dining room inside with desserts for sale. The museum exhibits in the house were well done, we didn't take the guided tour but still enjoyed reading about the equipment and area history. The fire station is great too, make sure to ask the attendant for a tour.

My 4 year old son and I spent 3 hours here today. Between the rail yard, the house, and the old fire station, we had a great time! I've lived near Capreol my entire 33 years of existence and this was my first time going. We'll definitely be back! Thanks for the great time. The staff was wonderful!
Lake Laurentian Conservation Area is a vast expanse of natural beauty that includes lakes, ponds, scenic overlooks, and a nature trail. It offers winter sports and bird-watching opportunities without requiring tickets or parking fees. The lake is breathtakingly beautiful with amazing views that attract visitors to engage in activities such as hiking, fishing and canoeing.
To visit here, you don't need to buy tickets. Parking is also free, but to be parked on one side of the road or at the lake. The lake is beautiful and the views are amazing. We visited over the weekend and there was no rush. However people were roaming around, going on hikes, fishing, canoeing. It should be visited if you're in Sudbury.

This is the best conservation park with beautiful views at falls season, with red adn yellow leaves, and mirror-like lake. So beautiful to take pictures.
The trails are also not difficult. It was easy with beautiful and quiet place, not crowded. No admission fee. But the parking lot is quite limited. I will recommend to come here. We went there with friends and we would like to come again next time.

Sudbury is so blessed to have so many kilometres of beautiful trails and fantastic lake views so close within its boundaries. The trails vary in length and challenges. Great way to spend the day from 1.2 km to 10km hikes. There are areas where you can launch your own canoe and paddle on lakes that rarely any souls are on it.

Great hiking trails. Some of them were not the best maintained and were muddy and bushy so I'd wear a proper pants and shoes for those trails. Some claimed they saw bears so I'd also suggest carrying a bear spray just in case.

Bell Park is a serene lakeside park that honors a prominent lumber baron. It boasts of an amphitheatre and two gazebos, not to mention a lengthy boardwalk trail that meanders around the lake. This park is perfect for families with children who can frolic down the hill or rest on benches while enjoying the gorgeous view. Even in winter, Bell Park exudes beauty with its snow-covered landscape, attracting pet owners for dog walks and sightseers alike.
Bell park is beautiful. It has a long boardwalk trail that goes around the lake. Kids loved it
they kept rolling down the hill. There is a gazebo near the lake. Benches through out if you need to sit and rest or just sit and enjoy the view. We went in December so lots of snow and ice. It looked gorgeous. Saw people walking their dogs. Washrooms are available, not sure if they were open. Bell park parking was closed but there is plenty of parking across the road. You can easily park and walk across to enter the park. Drop by if you are visiting Sudbury area.

Kids loved walking the board walk and seeing ducks and geese. It's a nice place because you can swim at different places off the boardwalk for more privacy or for people who have social anxiety. There is a change room and bathrooms. A nice park as well.

Bell park is a great place to spend an afternoon with family . There are public washrooms, a drinking fountain and a concession stand open during regular business hours. There's a park for littles, a little workout area, gazebos, benches everywhere and even a new inflatable water park. There is 1 supervised beach and a few unsupervised ones. The boardwalk is always lovely, and there a few different paths you can take on your walk as you enjoy your view of the lake and all the animals around, including squirrels and ducks. I definitely recommend coming here at least once if you're in Sudbury.

Nice place to go for a walk, the walking paths connect to surrounding trails… we can find a way around the entire Ramsey Lake. Nice place where most of the public events happening in summer in every weekend. We went for this year Snowday in February as well in winter season. People and pets love it there… even most of the red squirrels are approaching us without much caution. In summer we could see so many having swims and other water activities where as in winter people are ice skating on the Ramsey Lake ice… it’s really nice place even to sit and calm down for a moment…

Best park in the city for hiking, picnic, afternoon strolls, swim. Also many events occur from the spring to fall seasons. Beautiful place to view full moon.

The park has a beautiful boardwalk and a Waterpark. Great place to sit at one of the many benches and relax and take in the sunshine. The amphitheater looks pretty cool, I haven't heard a band there yet,but plan to in the near future. Even a little sandy beach to grab a quick dip in the water!

I've not been to Bell Park in a long time. Used to go all the time when I was young growing up in Sudbury. It was sad to see needles down by the shore off the walking path.
Science North is a renowned science museum located in Northern Ontario, which offers a multitude of programs and exhibits suitable for visitors of all ages. It features attractions such as a planetarium, IMAX theatre, butterfly gallery and various workshops that cater to the curious minds of children and adults alike. The current showcase explores the scientific principles behind some Guinness World Records, an exciting spectacle that promises to captivate its guests.
Great place to visit with the kids. 4 levels with interactive exhibits and workshops on each. If you want to do the rock polishing activity on the 2nd floor or try the gyroscope on the 4th floor, add your name to the sign up board as early as you can as they book up quickly. Loved that you could order your food from Elements on your phone, pick up when notified, and take it to the large eating area with the screen and ample seating to watch films while you eat. Staff were incredible friendly and helpful. Lots to see and do. Loved it!

This is a really fun and interactive science experience! There are lots of different themes to explore- wildlife and nature (insects included), fossils, mining, outer space, the human body, etc. I went with my boyfriend and his family and we had a lovely time. I would definitely argue that this is more for the appeal of younger children as many of the activities are very easy and designed for kids. However, there is still lots to look at and learn. Overall, I think it's worth checking out!

Fantastic afternoon. If you are looking for 2-3 hours of fun from children of all ages with an awesome IMAX. Extremely clean and very friendly staff. So many attractions and interactive activities and science experiments.

My wife and I had an overall wonderful experience. The day we went was field trip day, and there was some additional noise and chaos from the children there but it didn't ruin our experience at all. The exhibits were interesting. Can't wait until the next time we return to the area and explore more of Science North.

First time visiting Science North. Adults is $25 to get in.Children 3-14 is $21 .There is a price for seniors but not sure we went into the Dinosaur exhibit. That was pretty good .Went into the Science part and was surprised at how well things were set up as there were ot of interative stations. It was very interesting and we had a great time .We also had lunch it was good food as well.

Wonderful experience! Took our grandchildren (ages 4 and 2) for a visit during March break. So many exhibits and soo much learning. Well staffed and well laid out. Definitely something for all ages. The kids loved viewing all the "animals" and really enjoyed the theatre Science experiment. The xrays were a big hit!

Really fun family kid centric place! We had a great time, you could spend the WHOLE day on the 4th floor, so much activities and immersive experiences. All the staff are helpful and kind!

Lineup to get in is usually lengthy so buy tickets online before you go.
Great day trip for the family. If you like to STEM, this is the place for you. Lots of exhibits, hands on learning activities and science shows.
Staff are always friendly and enthusiastic about teaching science.
Only complaint is paid parking by the hour.

Dynamic Earth is an interactive museum that offers a range of earth science exhibits and activities. One of its main attractions is a large outdoor sculpture made entirely of nickel. Visitors can also take an underground tour, which includes going down a mine shaft and experiencing the use of dynamite. The museum has various hands-on activities and exhibits on two levels, including gold panning where visitors can collect small flecks to take home as souvenirs.
Underground tour was fun for the kids. They loved going down the mine shaft and experiencing the "dynamite". Different hands-activities and exhibits to explore throughout the two levels, including panning for gold - we found small flecks which we got to bring home on a souvenir card. Had a small eating area and would recommend bringing your own food if you want anything other than pepperoni pizza, chicken noodle soup, or chili for lunch. Kids loved the outdoor playground and spent a good while there. Staff was very friendly and helpful and were more than happy to answer any questions. Great experience!

Dynamic Earth has a lot of really cool and fun things that you can do! You can do an underground tour of a mine, you can pan for gold, you can take a video tour of the nickel smelting process, and they have movies throughout the day. When I was there, I did the underground tour. It isn't as deep as a regular mine for safety reasons but it is still pretty deep (70 feet). It was a fun experience, although it was really wet and humid, seeing it's underground. I highly recommend the tour though! You go through three centuries of mining history and get the tools and machinery used for mining during those three centuries. However I do warn people who are sensitive to flashing lights that they probably should be careful when doing the underground tour.

Awesome experience! This place is a must visit for all the geology enthusiasts and science lovers. Best place to bring your curious young kids. Keep a full day for this as there is so much to explore. Under ground tour is mind blowing.

Super fun! Halloween pumpkins were amazing and all the staff were so nice! We tried dried crickets for free as well! Very cool and great for kids as well. There was a very engaging story teller at the campfire reading to the kids with the best voices and everyone I saw was smiling so big. A fantastic experience

Fantastic experience to explore life in a real underground mine. The guide was quite knowledgeable and provided a decent insight about the evolution of underground mining. Apart from the tour, there is a discovery room with a lapidary to shape a raw piece of rock, the giant coin for taking photos and a restaurant.
Kapil Sukhija — Google review
No visit to the area is complete without visiting this historic site. The scenery is beautiful and the attraction is awesome to behold. The information provided about the region and the history is must-learn content and I highly recommend that anyone visiting northern Ontario stop by for a quick look or an extended stay

That was a very pleasant surprise ! Great underground tour, good and knowledgeable guide. Not a tourist trap for sure. Not too expensive and you will learn a lot. Highly recommended. There is some confusion on their website, the mine tout is located where the Big Nickel is. Enjoy!

Did not go into the museum; just wanted to see the giant coin. Was a very quick visit, but a neat thing to see for sure. Nice little maybe 2 minute walk up if you need to stretch your legs. My goal is to find all the giant coins hidden throughout Canada!

Omg was awesome the mine tour was great took just over an hour the tour guide Olivia was awesome 70 feet down had various stages of mining from 1800s to present great time

Underground tour is the highlight of Dynamic Earth. The museum part of the building is rather lacklustre but the staff are petty animated and try their best to get kids excited and interested in geology.
Cafeteria is an absolute rip off. $7 hot dog, $6 tiny cup of mac n’ cheese, $4 drinks.

Onaping Falls was a municipality located in Ontario, Canada that was established in 1973 and ceased to exist in 2000. The town was situated within the Sudbury region and drew its name from the cascading waterfalls found on the Onaping River.
We just got home from a nice four day visit to Windy Lake Provincial Park and we enjoyed the place immensely. Our site was huge, very private and there was lots of space between us and our neighbours.
The off-leash dog area is one of the best we've seen with a huge beach and grassy area to get Fido chasing a ball or stick.
As always, Ontario Parks staff were amazing and very friendly. If you're looking for a quieter park this just may be it.

Overall we had a nice stay. The tent sites are very spacious and 2 picnic tables were on the site, which was nice. The bath house could use an update and I was surprised to see a metal slide on the playground, but the tent spots were great! There is a train that runs fairly regularly and could be heard very clearly. Picture is of site 18.

My wife and I just came back from a Winter camping trip spending 2 nights in a Yurt at Windy lake Provincial Park. The Yurts are located within a few minutes walk from the parking lot where you can bring your camping gear using a sleight. Aside from dealing with 2 to 3 trains at night, it was a great experience sleeping inside the Yurt and hiking the trails around the park. The Yurts are located close to heated bathrooms which is always nice in cold weather. Staffs at the park were awesome and very pleasant. The only draw back is that the Yurt we were in is starting to show its age and would be due for a MAJOR upgrade. Overall great experience, thanks again to the staff.
Denis Drainville — Google review
Always stunning, always windy, this park has been a favorite for years, the walk in sites especially. As one who likes comfort and ease of set up, the inconvenience of carrying in the stuff, an extra 30 steps, at most, is easily overshadowed by stunning g views, curious (small) wildlife and a literal lakeside campsite.stunning pictures are easy with no nearby man-made light. And as a city folk, hearing the train come through a couple times a night adds a bit of the sounds of home
R A S — Google review
The entrance to Windy Lake provincial park was open as the rental cabin is available year around. Was only able to see 2 cabins as other routes were covered with snow and was kind of blocked.
It will be a amazing to rent a cabin there as it is so close to the Windy Lake.

Beautiful parks and camp sites are huge.
Trains coming across the tracks can be loud at times even in the middle of the night.
The beach is wonderful with a new playground. The only bad thing I can say is the bathrooms and showers could use an update. But other than that I will definitely recommend it and hopefully we will be back.
Also there are close places you can visit A.Y Jackson lookout is not that far and they have a beautiful waterfall
Melissa Pearse — Google review
This is one of the best Ontario provincial parks I've been to. It's not busy even in summer season and the lake is very clean and the temperature is just right for children and seniors swimming.
One thing they can improve is probably the shower booth (hoping there's more) and the park store doesn't sell ice (you will have to go outside and buy from a close spot in <5mins driving) and some food for bbq, but it deserves my 4.5 stars. I'll try again with my kids.
Brendan S. Kim — Google review
The group site is nice and spacious for many family units with rv's, the beach is long and so perfect for handling large crowds and not feeling like it is a large crowd. The amenities are fantastic- cleaned daily (yes there are bugs - but it's camping). This is the first provincial park site we had our own garbage (animal proofed). Also emptied daily.

Large private sites, quiet park with beautiful lake and beach options. Train noise daily but I wasn't bothered. A few hiking trails great views. No canoe rentals 😪 many sites looked occupied by seasonal campers.
Overall as a older couple with two dogs we enjoyed the peace and quiet. We will be back!
Kerry Hayward (Adventuring the Road) — Google review
Very spacious sites, good privacy and distance from neighbouring sites. Clean, doesn’t feel dusty like other sites. Washrooms are clean. There is a train nearby that is very loud sometimes in the middle of the night, but you’ll get used to it lol Would still return!

A great camping spot. The lake right there, great spots, open space plus shelter. The area we were in had a sheltered picnic area with lots of tables which came in handy for meal times. The toilets were constantly being cleaned and not once did they run out of toilet paper or soap for hand washing. They're long drop toilets so don't smell great but the facilities were great. Take bug spray for sun down, the mosquitoes are deadly.

What a great little park. We stayed on site 71. It was huge and private. I would have given it 5 star but the ground is made of clay and when it rained hard we had a lake. The staff was really great and brought a pump to pump us out. We've never seen a bigger dog beach anywhere else. Just a short drive down the road, there's a beautiful waterfall made from a meteor. We will be coming back. Ps we encountered a wolf coming out of the woods while picking wild blueberries.
Fairbank Provincial Park is a 105-hectare nature reserve that features a sandy beach for swimming, waterfront camping sites, and a picnic shelter. The campground is occupied by friendly long-term campers who are always willing to assist fellow campers. Although the park is reasonably clean, the washrooms require better maintenance. There are fewer activities available than other campsites visited before. However, there is an excellent beach near the electrical sites suitable for watching sunrises (bring bug spray!).
Went there for the long August weekend. The place is clean and washrooms are well cleaned. But you can't get cell signals on most of the areas in the campsite.
alahoy567 — Google review
Nice and friendly staff. The comfort station was clean and the park was relatively quiet. The beach area has crystal clear water and there is a boat launch. The Wa-Shai-Ga-Mog hiking trail is a short and easy loop with great views of the lake. The only downside to this park, and for some it may be a bonus, but it is a little way off the beaten trail and the road back to it is in rather poor condition.
Craig McLeod — Google review
I stayed in the park for 4 nights. Nice park, some campsites are lake facing which are gorgeous.
The only problem is washrooms and showers. They are not well maintained.
Beach is very nice. People are friendly.Park wardens are very helpful.

Love Fairbanks! Such a gorgeous place full of trees and ferns and lots of small wildlife. The water is so clear and clean and you get a perfect view of the sunset. Park is nicely maintained and staff is very helpful and friendly. Great to relax here for a weekend!
Edit: So many negative reviews about the road to get there and no cell phone service. Yes, the road is a little rough, you're in the bush far from any city, drive slow. No, there's no cell service. You're camping! There's always staff available if there's an emergency.

Great place .clean washroom and bathroom. At this time of period in August didn't get lots of mosquitos still needed to put bug spray because after rain they will come . It was little cold too.

This park has tremendous potential, I hope Ontario Parks realizes they have neglected this hidden gem. The good: Clear and clean water, beach, day use area, playgrounds area, and campsites. The bad: One small outdated and run down 'comfort station'. Pot holes within the park (at least the road leading up to the park were filled up for the most part). Only one hiking trail.

Fairbank Provincial Park is located in a secluded maple tree forest slightly over 45mins West of Sudbury. 🐶 Completely dog friendly park including the beaches (1 off leash dog beach, rest you'll have to leash your dog). The only con (and I mean the only con) is there isn't much privacy due to lack of vegetation between majority of the sites. Still very beautiful, great sized sites, lots of water front sites, crystal clear water, friendly staff and group camping sites. We will definitely come back.
Eff DeeCare — Google review
This is a nice little campground just outside of Sudbury and about 20 minutes north off the hwy.
Sites seem to be fairly private with a good mix of RV and renting sites.
Some are right on the water with access, others are a walk to the beach.
There is an onsite hike with a great lookout and some history of the area. Interestingly you can find cell phone coverage while on the hike as it is super limited from within the park and campsites.
Washrooms are plentiful and clean but the one comfort station can be a bit of a ways away depending on where you are.
I stayed two night on the way out and came back for one night on the way back showing up without a reservation.
Will return.
Note: this review from a solo traveller, one tent and might reflect the observations.

Clean, well treed and beautiful lake frontage sites. Sites are well spaced. A long way in off the highway. In all, a very good provincial park finds the balance between remaining somewhat wilderness and accommodating campers' needs. Staff are friendly. I would rate it 5 stars except for the idiot on a jet ski, who, on a peaceful day, chooses to go in endless circles right off shore.

I stayed at the campground for two days. Most campers appeared to be there long term, and were very friendly and helpful! The park itself was fairly clean, however, the washrooms weren’t well maintained.
For activities, there were a little less to partake in then other campgrounds I’ve been to, but the big beach near the electrical sites was perfect for watching the sunrise (make sure to wear big spray!) and The trail on site was short but nice, just make sure to wear shoes! It has a nice incline and it’s full of rocks.

Went to rent canoes from here for Killarney Provincial Park. Came here for the key and the vests, paddles, etc. The canoes are right at the main beach of George Lake.
The store is full of camping gear and essential groceries. We loved the picnic tables and flowers outside. You may pick from their herbs outside with plastic bags provided. It was very neat.
The lady explained to us how the rental works and was really helpful. Rentals are per calendar day, and we dropped off our gear and key after hours. A man was still there and helped us buy some ice even when the store was already closed. I was truly grateful.
Overall, the rental went smoothly, and they went above and beyond for us, so they deserve 5 stars.

Popped into Killarney Outfitters because we saw the ice cream sign. They had 8 different flavors of ice cream and 3 options to enjoy your ice cream (waffle cone, regular cone, or cup). We tried the chocolate and french vanilla in a waffle cone and cotton candy and vanilla in a cup. The chocolate ice cream by far was our favorite. It was authentic and delicious! The staff is also super nice.

Rented canoes here through Killarney Provincial Park - the canoes were stored in the provincial park premises, but we just had to drive here to get the keys to unlock the canoe, get paddles, and bail kit. The canoes are good quality and everything went smoothly. The store contains a large variety of camping gear. Note that a lot of it is quite expensive compared to other retailers, but it is good for convenience I suppose. Make sure to try the ice cream as well, it was pretty good!

I was in town while on a Viking Cruise and happened upon the Light House Trail next to the giant paddle at the resort. You can just about drive to the light house but if you are up for a physical hike I HIGHLY suggest using the trail. It is a challenge. There are elevation changes, rock climbing, and challenging root systems, but the hike offers Forrest hiking as well as coastal views, and unusual rock formations. I really enjoyed it!
Brett Skipper — Google review
Gorgeous little lighthouse with an adventurous trail along the coastline. I would not follow the trail markers as they led us absolutely nowhere - we just followed the shoreline instead and had a great time. The shoreline trail/hike is probably not a good idea if you have any sort of leg/knee/foot problems as climbing is sometimes necessary - but if you’re good on that department, you’ll have fun and get some amazing views.

There is perhaps no better place to feel and experience the true spirit of Manitoulin Island; if time is on your side, it is well worth a short detour and stop (approx. 20 min.). In addition to offering one of the most beautiful and easily accessible scenic lookout on Manitoulin, which greatly serves as a sobering reminder of one’s presence on an island, the Ten Mile Point Trading Post boasts Manitoulin’s largest and most diversified collection of traditional native crafts and aboriginal art. Step inside the gift shop and art gallery, and you will experience and feel a highly unique, almost palpable, sensation and rare presence that is, the spirit of Manitoulin Island.

If you love nature and would like to see it from close proximity, their tours are great. I took the Benjamin Island cruise on a beautiful Sunday morning. Everything was good, no complains. You can sit on upper level (without shed) and there is indoor and outdoor seating on the lower level. Lunch was served in generous portions and was great. On our way back they served dessert squares and some chips. Coffee was available in the morning. They have a very nice ramp to get off when you reach the island. Great experience by wonderful crew. Enjoyed multiple excursions aboard the Grand Heron and always enjoyed the scenic views, live entertainment and great staff! This is one of the most unique ways to enjoy the beauty of Manitoulin Island and the North shore.

Captain Chris and the North Channel crew are always very professional and take very good care of everyone.
North Channel Cruise Line is absolutely the best way to get out to see one of the best boating areas in the world while being treated like a VIP.
This is a must do activity on Manitoulin and Northern Ontario. Well worth it!

We arranged a North Channel tour to celebrate with family and friends. The crew was kind and professional and great to deal with. We had a number of seniors with mobility issues (wheelchair, walker, etc.) aboard and this wasn't a problem. The food we had for dinner was great too!

It is not the first or last time that I will book a tour with the North Channel Cruise Line! Always a relaxing, good time to be had. I have went for random rides on Canada Day, I went on the Killarney Voyage and most recently did the views, brews and pizza cruise. My next MUST is the Fjord where we can hike to the top and view the turquoise water of Topaz Lake:)! The Pizza was delicious, drinks cold and service was and always is amazing. It’s my absolute fave thing to do in Little Current. I recommend it to everyone passing through. Super easy to book online and if you have any questions, Bria is super efficient at corresponding via email/phone etc... You are kept in the loop of what to expect and do upon arrival. There is also ALWAYS a safety briefing at the beginning in which most of your concerns and questions will be answered! (He’s quite funny as well). Book now, you will NOT regret it:)
Nicely maintained, this place will give you a Caribbean vibe. A ferry will take you there, and bring back. Very good for camping etc and very pet friendly. I took my 5 month old puppy here, he had the time of his life.
There are 2 flowerpots on the island, dress for the hike if you want to see the flowerpot.

The Flowerpot Island Lighthouse is a fascinating and historic attraction that is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area. The lighthouse itself is a beautiful and well-preserved example of Canadian maritime history, and its location on top of Flowerpot Island provides visitors with stunning views of the surrounding waters and landscape.
The lighthouse's construction in 1897 was a response to the increasing shipping traffic in the Georgian Bay and the need to guide ships safely through the area's rocky waters. The tower's design, which is made of brick and stone, is both practical and aesthetically pleasing, and its original Fresnel lens is a testament to the ingenuity and innovation of the lighthouse's designers.
One of the best things about visiting the Flowerpot Island Lighthouse is the guided tour, which provides visitors with a wealth of information about the lighthouse's history and operation. The tour includes a climb to the top of the tower, where visitors can see the lighthouse's original Fresnel lens up close and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
In addition to its historical significance, the Flowerpot Island Lighthouse is also a popular destination for hikers and nature enthusiasts. The island's hiking trails offer a range of scenic and picturesque views, and the island's unique flowerpot rock formations are a must-see attraction.
Overall, the Flowerpot Island Lighthouse is a fascinating and unique attraction that combines history, architecture, and natural beauty into a single destination. Whether you're a history buff, a nature lover, or just looking for a beautiful place to visit, the Flowerpot Island Lighthouse is definitely worth adding to your itinerary.

I trekked up there and it's like being in the presence of history. The lighthouse has been standing strong since 1897, a beacon for passing ships. It's a charming sight - white and wooden, tall and dignified. The best part? The view from near the lighthouse. Looking out over the island and the stunning blue-green waters of Georgian Bay is nothing short of a visual feast. You feel the tranquil vibe of the place, resonating with the echoes of its past. It's a sight to behold, especially when the hues of the sunset dance across the sky. Even though you can't go inside, it's still worth the visit. It's truly delivers a nice view of the Lake Huron!

Very great landscape, you can feel the natural power from the flowerpots and the caves. The water is so clear and perfect temperature to stay in the water at summer time. The tail is actually very suitable for young kids burn energy, not easy but very fun. 2.5 hours between the cruise is the minimum…..

Beautiful and peaceful place. It's almost 1 hr trail there as well. But we couldn't see the caves as it was under construction. There are 2 flowerpot kind of thing, one is small than other. The island also has snakes and lot of squirrel.

The Heritage Lighthouse is at the tip of the Island and there is a trail leading up to it. Some of the hikers we met said they saw snakes and that we should stay on the trail.
I did see a harmless garter snake cross my path.
The museum was closed but there were benches by the beach and you could just gaze into infinity into the clear waters and watch the cruise ships arriving on the island.
Reminder, Tobermory is busy during the summer months so try to go off-peak season (June) and during the week.

A very beautiful and historic part of flowerpot island. Such a pleasure to visit this place and learn some of the history of the lighthouse. It's a must visit if your heading to flowerpot island. Once you get off the boat it's a short walk to get to the lightkeeper's cottage. Then another shorter walk to get to the lighthouse. It's all beautiful. :) Enjoy your trip to flowerpot island.
Flowerpot Island is a part of Fathom Five National Marine Park and can be accessed only by boat. It is located off the coast of Tobermory, about 4 hours away from Toronto by car. The island boasts unique scenery featuring towering rock formations called sea stacks that resemble flowerpots. Visitors can camp on the island and explore its hiking trails, which lead to the flowerpots and a historic lightstation.

It’s a great place to visit and we had a really good hike. We enjoyed our time there. We spent some time in the water which is really cold and could be in the water for more time 😀😀. ⛴ ferry ride was really great. The crowd was less at 2:05 pm ride to the island. You could enjoy the ferry ride also.
First ferry taken to the wrecked boat location and we can see the from the ferry bottom glass.

It is a beautiful island with lots of trails to hike and to go to the Flower Pot structure and the Big Tub light house. The water here is little cold but incredibly clear, it is nicely maintained. The water is crystal clear and blueish green. It’s not that cold.

SIMPLE PROS AND CONS
Is it worth driving up EXCLUSIVELY for this? No. Is it worth checking out if you are coming anyways? Absolutely
Pros:
- The boat that takes you to the island takes you in a tour of a sunken ship (see videos and photos)
- The ride to the Island is super fun. Fast and bumping. The ship is made like a dolphin head so it partially dives when it crashes into the water
- The boat has glass floors so you can see into the water as you ride
- The island is gorgeous. Lots of hiking trails and spots to swim.
- Can swim! Bring change of clothes!
CONS
- No good place to fish off the Island
- Bit crowded of a boat
- Bit of a hassle to get to the boat launch as you need to park your car in a lot then catch a shuttle bus to get to the boat launch spot (luckily these buses come every 15 mins)

Beautiful place, We drove from Ottawa to Tobermory it took 7hrs for us and the we had ferry to flowerpot island early morning we had bookings well in advance.
Crystal clear waters and you can get a dip in but water was literally ice cold in month of June.
We went during Covid times so everything was shut. But they have activities like sucba diving and various other water sports.
Lake Huron is beautiful.
Picnic spots, you can enjoy your food, take water and all the essentials with you as they don't have any eateries at the island.

One must visit, where you see the wrecked ship and beautiful scenery.
Book in advance, if you want save go ahead book early morning departure, highly recommended if you wanna get good photos with less people in the background. The entire island takes an hour to loop around. The ticket booth is 2 minutes away from the parking lot, so you don’t really have to arrive an hour early, just don’t be late!
Spotted small snakes and giant spiders, a natural habitat for sightseeing.
Must bring your insect repellent in summer, probably around hundreds of mosquitoes with your arrival❗️❗️❗️and perhaps your bikinis/swimsuits for a dip! Warm water in July.

To reach there, you need to book a cruise in advance. Cruise companies have few parking lots where you can park your car. Total tour is of 4 hour and if you want to enjoy island then you need to book pick and drop both. Water is so clean there. You can enjoy with your friends and view was just mesmerizing. There are washrooms available but no place for food. So it’s better carry something with you to eat and drink.

Flowerpot Island is a natural wonder that left me in awe during my recent visit. Nestled in Georgian Bay, Ontario, this island is a true gem of the Bruce Peninsula. Here’s my review:
1. Scenic Beauty: Flowerpot Island is renowned for its stunning natural rock formations known as flowerpots, which are the result of thousands of years of erosion. These towering structures are a sight to behold, especially when seen against the backdrop of crystal-clear turquoise waters. The island’s rugged shoreline and lush forests also add to its scenic charm.
2. Hiking Trails: Exploring Flowerpot Island is a treat for hikers. The island offers well-maintained trails that take you through diverse landscapes, from dense forests to rocky cliffs overlooking the bay. The Caves and Overhanging Point trails provide breathtaking vistas, and the journey to the flowerpots themselves is an adventure.
3. Unique Wildlife: Keep an eye out for the island’s diverse wildlife. I was fortunate to spot nesting birds, including gulls and cormorants, along with various species of plants and wildflowers. It’s a haven for nature enthusiasts and photographers.
4. Marine Adventures: Visitors can arrive via boat tours from Tobermory, which add an extra layer of excitement to the trip. The boat ride offers opportunities for snorkeling, shipwreck exploration, and even glimpses of underwater caves and clear water.
5. Facilities: Flowerpot Island is well-equipped with visitor facilities, including picnic areas, restrooms, and interpretive signage. It’s accessible to both casual tourists and those looking for a more immersive natural experience.
6. Conservation Efforts: It’s worth noting that Flowerpot Island is a protected natural area, and conservation efforts are in place to preserve its unique ecosystem. Visitors are encouraged to respect the environment and follow Leave No Trace principles.
Overall, Flowerpot Island is a hidden gem in Ontario’s natural landscape. Its striking beauty, abundant wildlife, and opportunities for adventure make it a must-visit destination for anyone looking to connect with nature and experience the splendor of the Bruce Peninsula.

What a unique place! You have to book a boat to get to the island, so plan ahead. There’s glass bottom boats or fast boats. Weekends book up fast. Weather can also change plans quickly. Once you’re on the island you get to roam around and explore. The rocky beaches are really cool, the flower pots are just so unique. Really cool photo opportunities. I hiked around the island with the time I had, pretty quickly, and snapped lot of photos before relaxing for a little bit and catching the return boat that brought us back to Tobermory. Dress appropriately, the boat ride can be chilly and wear proper footwear for the hiking trails. If you bring your bathing suit, you can go for a dip while you’re on the island too.

A really beautiful place to visit with family for a nice relaxing day or for an adventurous hike trip in the wild.
You can choose different hiking routes based on your comfort level and explore the island.
Plan your cruise timings well based on the hikes you wish to cover. We had 5 hours between our arrival on the island and departure and were able to cover all the hikes. But didn't really relax at any point.
The Marl Bed route is slightly different from other hiking routes and lead to a beautiful part of the island.
Other hikes lead to the Flowerpot structures and the light house.
The end of the lighthouse hike is disappointing but the hiking trail is worth while.

Really gorgeous place to visit! The glass boat tour was super cool and it was nice to see the shipwrecks. Bring a jacket for the boat! The hike was nice (we went to the right which was the easier hike) and it was so pretty and fine for our dog. Wear proper shoes - the ground is rocky and sometimes slippery. Great experience!

Chutes Provincial Park, located in Massey between Sudbury and Sault Ste Marie, is a popular tourist spot due to its stunning waterfall. The Seven Sister Rapids leading up to the waterfall also add to the park's allure. Visitors can easily access a railed viewing platform that offers picturesque views of both the rapids and waterfall. The constant roar from the rapids creates a peaceful ambiance, drowning out any other sounds from nearby activities like swimming or camping.
Beautiful spot. We parked across from the park entrance and walked in. There is a trail map and we just walked in towards site 92/93 and there’s a set of stairs and walked down by there and back towards the trillium trail for a change of scenery. Worth the view in the winter. Trails were fairly packed down/high trafficked but we didn’t see anyone while we were there.

Beautiful experience! Will be back for sure. Amazing trails, beautiful beach, great sites.
Firewood was cut really small (we made sure we grabbed bags tagged firewood but they were not much bigger than kindling) and as we cook over the fire we went through several more bags than anticipated. Since you're not supposed to bring in your own wood this was a costly inconvenience. Otherwise a great stay.

This is one of my all-time favorite provincial parks, and it's not too far from home for me and my little guy! We enjoyed the trials and all the shoots off the trails, The amazing amount of waterfalls here makes it such a magical little spot! The staff and warden's of the park were great and so friendly! It's Deffinately a place to travel too if you haven't been yet! It is very kid friendly and has a very calm atmosphere, sn sleeping with the sound of the waterfalls is something you won't soon forget. There is Poirier's store not far for all your last-minute needs, and it wasn't overly priced, and to refill your ice as needed!

Absolutely loved staying at Chutes PP. We had no idea what it would be like here when we booked it but we found the sites to be very nice, the bathrooms are clean and the showers are nice and hot. The best part is the hiking trail though. You must hike the trail if you’re staying at the park or else it would be a shame. Beautiful views of the waterfalls here. The beach area is rocky but very nice to swim. Such a unique spot. We stayed at site 47

It's a small little park right on the edge of town. It's easy to find and they are so well set up even for late arrival. Staff are so kind and helpful. All the sites look great but we had a barrier free site and it was huge and flat (as it should be).
Can't wait to come back to camp for more than one night!

This Provincial Park is a bit of a hidden gem, depending on the type of 'camper' you like to be.
This is a family-friendly, relatively quiet location with some incredible river front on the mostly shallow Spanish River. The fine sand makes walking in and around the water pleasant for folks of all ages. And, with the various bends, you can get the feeling of privacy despite the number of people down by the water.
The sites are clean and semi-private. If there was a downside, it would have to be the noise of the traffic on the TransCanada highway...however, I found this to be a soothing white noise for sleeping.
For short-stays and hiking, this location is a definite must!
Staff were friendly and accommodating.

We used this park as a 1-nighter on our way back from New York to Minnesota. It was 1/2 way for us. The facilities was great. Lots of open sites on a Thursday. The bathrooms were clean and hot showers were awesome (as were all Provincial parks we stayed at). It’s just 1 mile out of town so it was convenient for gas and food. The best part was the beautiful waterfall and beach just minutes of walking away. I would definitely stay again.
Mirwais Qader — Google review
This park is fantastic for kids, big or small. The water is warm, not to deep and always clean because the water is moving all the time. Sites are big and private in most cases. Sites 128,129,130 all have big slopes as shown in pictures and can bring water drainage on to site if it rains. There is no playground in the park but one just outside the exit to the park. Dog beach is on opposite side of main beach so can split up if you have a dog and can still enjoy time together. Restrooms were very clean, A+ to workers on keeping them extremely tidy.

Chutes is a fantastic get away park that is perfect for those looking for a quiet but convenient camping experience. Despite being only a 3-5 minute drive from town, the park itself is clean, quiet and majestic with a walking trail that features gorgeous views of the falls, once youre in the park youd have no idea youre not miles away from civilization.
Lots of large, well maintained site locations, a dedicated area for dogs, a nice outdoor covered seating area for bigger events and a decent beach setup round out its offerings.
One of its best features being so close to town is if you happen to forget to pack something, it's a short trip to town to grab some essentials (though the shopping in Massey is limited, you can get some last minute things).
If swimming near the falls isn't your thing, there is also a local beach a few minutes from town as well.
If you're heading to the park I very much recommend walking the trail and taking in the sights of the falls (it is called Chutes for a reason after all) just be aware there is some uphill hiking but its not overly challenging if you stick to the initial loop and offers an extended loop for the more ambitious hikers.

Plus points: very close to the Highway, if your destination is far and want to take a break, this is an ideal park to spend a night or two and get refreshed by enjoying trails and sceneries. Pictures taken 28 August 2023.
Fathom Five National Marine Park is an outstanding nature park in Ontario that boasts a lake filled with shipwrecks, unique rock formations, and glass-bottom boat tours. This national park offers something for everyone, from history buffs and scuba divers to plant enthusiasts and wildlife observers. Alongside the beauty of ancient rock formations and 22 shipwrecks, visitors can immerse themselves in the stunning orchid species found on site.
Jan 2022 - great place for a relatively short hike, the entire loop should take less than 2h (depending on time spent at viewing points). There was no entry fee into the park, and no issue with parking. The viewing tower is closed off to anyone at the park unfortunately at this time of year. The Little Dunks Bay Lookout and Burnt Point Loop Lookout are truly amazing!

Be sure to spend here at least a weekend, so you could explore the National parks, Islands and shipwrecks.
Make sure to book your tours and park entries ahead of time, it’s very busy here during the high season.
There are a few ship tours- that’s a great way to see the beauty from water.
It also great that when you book a ship tour they give you a complimentary parking. it’s very handful since parking in Tobermory is difficult.
Make also sure to plan more time for the road, since highway 6 is busy and currently under the construction.
Enjoy!

This is an underrated park, I stumbled into it while planning a couple days in Tobermory. Definitely super slow and very easy to get to. The hiking trails are moderate bring sturdy shoes. The lookouts near the water are very nice and you can see some islands into the distance. The water is nice and cool if you want to go for a dip or let your pup go for a swim. An Overall Pleasant Park To Visit
My family and I stopped by this park at the north-end of Bruce Peninsula during our 6-day Southwestern Ontario road trip in mid-Aug 2021. With only 3 hours to spare we chose to visit the Visitor Centre's Lookout tower, Burnt-Point Trail and the various little coves facing crystal-clear turquoise waters of Georgian Bay (Lake Huron). What can we say; it was a wonderful experience despite restrictive COVID-19 and busy Sunday afternoon. Trails were hard to navigate but well-labelled. Next time we will try and visit the marine trail (the famous shipwrecks), and little islands. Well recommended!

This isn't just one area, the Fathom Five are the parks in the area.
Dolomite, 420 million years old, rises through the sparkling waters of Lake Huron to form Fathom Five National Marine Park.
This is a freshwater ecosystem of ancient rock formations, cliff-edge forests, fascinating dive sites on 22 shipwrecks, and orchid species both plentiful and rare.
Visit for a day or backcountry camp on starry-skied Flowerpot Island—Fathom Five is equal parts mystery and recreation, ecology and culture—and a welcoming escape to nature.
Lots to see and do in the parks near Tobermory.

Took cruise / ferry to get there. You can stand and walk around ferry, no restrictions there. Island was crowded when we visited in July. Bug spray is must in summer. The best way to go back n forth to Manitoulin Islands from mainland Ontario. Magnificent sights through out the route and a very cool ferry with a huge parking lot for around 150 cars. There is a nice floating restaurant on the cruise and some really good seating spots on the rear side of the boat. The reservations are almost a must as if gets totally full on almost all weekends. Total of 3 trips per day from both sides are planned well to cater to all your plans and definitely worth the experience. Definitely recommend this route instead of going all the way up North through the road bridge in Little Currents. Not too much of time difference but a lot more convenient and relaxing journey worth every penny.

If you live in or visit Ontario, you should definitely experience the ferry to Manitoulin Island from Tobermory. The ferry itself is great to explore from all levels (driving on and off was a cool process). The food services/ museum is closed due to Covid-19. Smooth sailing- right from getting in line, boarding, and the voyage itself. Covid protocols in place. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Can only take water on board - no coffee! Restaurant is not currently open. Departure was right on time and this is an easy way to get to manitoulin island. Ordered tickets on line and we arrived on time (7:45) to the ferry dock. Spent quite a while in line and then were told at the last ticket booth that we were late (after spending 30+ minutes in line ups) and that our tickets were valid only an hour before departure and he hoped we could still get on board! (Thanks, buddy!) We did get on the boat and when I looked at our reservation, no where did I see that the tickets expire before sailing time!

This ferry service between South Baymouth and Tobermory is highly recommended. However, it's important to make a reservation well in advance, even if you plan to board on foot, by bicycle, or with a car, especially during busy times. The trip lasts around two hours and offers lovely sightseeing opportunities. It's an awesome experience, especially if you haven't been on a larger ferry for vehicles and passengers before. You'll enjoy breathtaking views of the islands in Georgian Bay.
The ferry operates on schedule, and the ship is well-maintained and kept clean. The floors and bathrooms are tidy and hygienic. Onboard, there's a cafeteria and a bar serving mainly local Canadian beers, priced at $6 each. Payment can be made in cash or by card. While the beverage options are limited, the service is fast and reliable. The ferry can accommodate vehicles of all sizes and shapes, including RVs and tractor trailers.
There's an upper deck with plenty of benches and chairs, allowing you to relax and soak in the beautiful views as you pass by numerous small islands. The cruise is known for its punctuality, so it's recommended to arrive at least half an hour before your scheduled boarding time to ensure a smooth experience.

What a cool way to go from Tobermory to Manitoulin Island! I did book ahead so that I could get the time slot and day I was planning around. It was pretty easy. Once I got on site, everybody seems to park in lines. Once it opens, then you can drive into the loading area. Very easy to load up to the ferry. There are multiple floors, some allow pets some do not… I didn’t know that at first. There is a floor where you can get food and drinks as well. It was such a fun little trip across the pond, really enjoyed the views! Couldn’t believe how far away we got from land before seeing Manitoulin. Highly recommend the trip at least one!

The ferry it self was the only way to go back and forth to Manitoulin Islands in about 1hr45mins each way.
Arrive an hour before departure if you have reservations. Otherwise you will be waiting in the standby line with the others with no guarantee that you will get onto the ferry. There is parking for plenty of cars but in the summer there are plenty of visitors. The on-boarding and off boarding was efficient. The cost per person was $60.
There were two outdoor decks with plenty of seating available. It could get windy up there though.
The cafeteria featured an extensive preprepared meals from Mac&cheese , burgers, pizza, sandwiches, soup & fish and chips. The food was responsibly priced but tasted average. The cafeteria closes at 7:45. There was plenty of seating available. There are two bars on deck as well.
The journey itself was smooth, the staff was welcoming.

I LOVE the Chi Cheemaun. I have been aboard a total of 12 times now (pre and post pandemic) as I frequently travel North! She is big, she is beautiful and she is allows us to see so much!
Why am I giving three stars? Allow me to explain…
The staff upon arrival and docking are always kind and efficient. The boat, seating areas and bathrooms are clean. The hallways are wide and the stair cases are safely secured. Remember to bring your coat with you as it can get chilly on deck! I really enjoy the seating options outside as you can take a nap, or enjoy all the views around you as you travel along the lake, ESPECIALLY at sunset time - this is my favourite time to take the ferry. The boat glides smoothly and I have never experienced any issues around these topics. The staff taking care of the boat, who are seen around, are super nice!
Sadly, the food and cafeteria staff are slacking and I feel good food is such a big part of experiences. For example, I heard a random man refer to the food as “jail food” when receiving him and his wives meal and while I’m unsure what that means, it cannot be good.
The food is bland and almost as if there is no thought put into the meals. They put it on your plate as if you are without tastebuds or a care of what you’re eating. I’m sure it is great for children but for adults joining a lunch, dinner or sunset cruise, it is disappointing. If you take the evening ferry, the cafe closes at 8:30 and you are on the ferry until near 10:00pm. Those serving food (no matter the time of day) appear unmotivated or unhappy with their role which again, I can understand but really want to enjoy my time too. For two people and a vehicle it is around $90.00 and if you’re travelling far distances, that meal onboard may be your main meal while taking the time to rest along your travels. I’d assume only the best fish and chips while crossing the lake that offers some of the yummiest but sadly, I’d give the fish and chips 3/10. I finally had a close friend take the ferry to save her some time and to relax when passing through and the first message I received, was about the fish and chips being terrible! Made me sad for sure! Also, if you bring your pup, you cannot enter the cafeteria, just so you can plan accordingly.
Fingers crossed for better food and better options in the future! This does not take away from all the amazing parts, I’ll just be bringing my own snacks next time!
Thanks!

The best way to get to Manitoulin Island from Tobermory. You'll see beautiful sights during the trip. The ferry is big. There's a nice restaurant on the ferry, and some great seats at the back. It's a convenient and relaxing journey that's worth the money.

This is a must-do in Tobermory! Affordable and family friendly, for all ages and abilities. Amazing view during our return at night. Sail during fair weather for the best experience. We enjoyed watching the docking and unloading of vehicles - an engineering marvel. There is a cafeteria on-board with lots of food options at a reasonable price. The gift shop has typical souvenirs at varied prices. Washrooms were spacious and clean. Staff members were great, very polite and friendly. I had no concerns over safety. We walked on and did not have a vehicle.
Brandon Maracle — Google review
The staff was polite and the ship was not as crowded as I'd thought being this was my first time aboard. The trip was rather short approximately arriving over an 1h & 30mins. I had total fun and enjoyed every moment of it. Many of sights to be seen and captured including other ships passing, islands and beautiful sky condition (depending on your day of travel). There's also plenty of seats indoors and outdoors to sit and relax. Definitely would recommend planning this trip if you're wanting to save time and money heading up north.
Active 14-m. whitewashed wooden lighthouse constructed in 1885, not open for interior visits.
Love this lighthouse! The stroll on the rocky shores is so rewarding... The rocks offer a microcosm of landscapes: the colors, the shapes... And the water is so clear! We were there in December, so the Georgian Bay was a bit ruffled by the winds. Bonus on an already beautiful experience

Absolutely beautiful spot...
Parking can be a little slim during peak season, but off season the view and tranquility is amazing

Great place to go for a short hike/visit - there isn't too many places to walk, and have to take caution while here during the winter as it's difficult to tell which parts are frozen over or part of the bay. The views are great, definitely need a sunny day!
Mat Bienczyk — Google review
There are limited paid parking. If you get there early in the morning, you have a good chance on getting a spot.
The lighthouse and the water view is beautiful. Be aware, it can get heavily windy there. It's rocky walking around the lighthouse so, in caution - walk carefully!
It was nice getting fresh air in this area and take in the moment of being in another environment.

Good quiet place to view sunrise. It about 2 kms of walk from Bruce anchor cruise ticket counter. It not crowded and I found none in the morning when I went. But crossed few morning walkers while I went. Parking is $5 per hour and maximum for 3 hours.

Big Tub Lighthouse is an active lighthouse located near Tobermory in Bruce Peninsula, Ontario, Canada. The lighthouse was originally lit in 1885 and is still used up to this day. This lighthouse represents local history and how important they are for our water transportation.
This makes a beautiful travel attraction. Worth visiting.

We wanted to go to the big tub light house to relax but there are limited parking spaces and we had no chance to park. They need bigger parking lot. We gave up to walk around and see from the ferry boat the following day. If you go there early in the morning, probably you can find the spot to park.

Historical place. Must visit. Beautiful rocks and an amazing view to cherish. Road side parking. Great place to take pictures for insta.
Shahnavaz Vora — Google review
Well, not much to say besides that it is an overhyped place, gets crowded pretty fast and the lighthouse looks very ordinary. Not much to see besides water and boats go by.
Watch where you walk on those rocks.
Sunrise must be beautiful for pictures as for sunset nothing hits the lighthouse as it is on the wrong side of the bay.
Go later in the evening as there are less people and more places to park.
LuMi Naire — Google review
Best place to see amazing sunrise. Parking tickets are available on the spot. Areas around the lighthouse well maintained. Should be there on time to see the view. We were lucky to witness the bright orange sun on our visit.

Very beautiful. Parking is expensive. I paid $15 for 3 hours and I only spent 1 hours here. However it's different if you are planning to go kayaking or swimming then it might be worth it although still very expensive for parking. Parking is also very limited.

Peaceful place, I have been off season and it was not that many people there. Prepare to pay parking for max 3 hours. During the weekends the parking is usually full, people kayaking, paddleboarnig or have picnic here, nice view and relaxing place for short walk.
I walked there from DT and it is 5km ish and it took me one way 30 min/2.5 km. I also paddleboard around and it is great if it is not windy, water is very cold, but refreshing.

It is a very traditional place that you can see a lot of history in it and I really enjoyed it from the vivid water and a lot of rocks there it was new for me because Canada is usually flat and you don’t see any mountain rock in it

Good place to chill in Tobermory, not many parking spots but didn’t have to wait long even on busy day as there’s not much to do here, just a min walk to water and lighthouse, nothing else to see but spent good time here. Good place for fishing, picnic or kids as there’s shallow water. Parking was $5 an hour.
This was our first time ever going on a horse ride, family of four! Doug was amazing who gave us instruction on how to steer, stop and ride ahead. Doug was also accompanied by Andrew, who is a pro in handling horses at this young age. Andrew was a pleasure to be around !!
We had lovely bunch of horses, Dancer, Floyd, Benjamin and Nooby. 'Nooby' was my horse and was very obedient. I was very nervous and in two- minds for the first few minutes of the ride. But Nooby was the best, comforting and knew exactly how to obey my cues without me saying a word!!
He's my favorite buddy😍
Dancer, is the best for young riders. She walks and follows at a good pace. My daughter had a great ride. Floyd and Benjamin were awesome too and were best for adults, especially for males 😆
The 1 hour trail walk was very pleasant and serene!! We had the best weather and the best team on our side!!
Definitely, we'd would recommend this place to everyone and a MUST VISIT place 👍 👍

Loved my stay here last Sunday night! Bonnie & Doug were absolutely welcoming and lovely hosts. Loved our little cozy cabin, and the outdoor kitchen, showers, and toilets were clean and perfect for us. Really enjoyed the campfire with Doug entertaining us! Also enjoyed interacting with the chickens and sheep. Everything was very clean and organized. This isn’t a 5 star resort so don’t expect those kinds of amenities here. It’s a very rustic place intended for people who appreciate nature and being in a very rural area. The wifi was spotty but that’s expected for a remote area like this. A really great place for families and kids. Highly recommend and would love to stay here again if I ever venture that way again! Thanks again Bonnie & Doug!🙏

Our kids loved it here especially petting the bunnies. Nice petting farm. Also our 7 yo had a pony ride and older kid had horse back riding for 1 hr and both enjoyed the experience.
The staff were also very friendly and nice and we enjoyed their company. We also had the burgers, and chicken and the food was tasty.
Last year we visited this farm but this year we thought they were closed, however they explained that they are not associated with the other other place with accommodations and they are open 7 days a week 9-5pm. I think now they are trying to list their business so it shows up separately form the Kicking Mule Accommodations.
Our kids can’t wait to come back to this nice farm. We ended up coming back 3 times and on our last day Doug set up the wagon ride for the whole family and toured the entire property which was very fun and exciting. We really liked that this farm and the people had the place had authentic feel.
Would definitely recommend this place.

The cabins and teepees are very cute. The outdoor kitchen had everything you would need to cook a meal. However I found the campground way too crowded. There was barely any room between buildings. It definitely takes away from the wilderness experience.
Despite the cold, this was an amazing experience, just to walk around and take in the sound of the water. We were here during Easter weekend, so there wasn't any foot or vehicular traffic.
The lighthouse is small and cute, and the playground side of the marina seems to be a great place for family time when the weather is pleasant.

Very accessible off a new, raised wooden boardwalk within the Marina. Great place for lunch with ample shade and one picnic table. Rocks are easily climbable. Wear sturdy footwear as the wet rocks are slippery. Washrooms are at the nearby tourism building. There’s another raised lookout with a Canadian flag and small park with playground equipment adjacent to the lighthouse.

These range markers were used to help ships approach the South Baymouth harbour and find their way in.
Unfortunately, the back range marker light now sits on private property (sigh).... which means it is not accessible and can be demolished at any time if the owner decides to get rid of it.
Why wouldn't the township keep BOTH of the range markers accessible?

The Bridal Veil Falls in Manitoulin Island's Kagawong River is a popular waterfall that cascades into a swimming hole amidst lush foliage. The falls are named after their picturesque appearance and the tranquil ambiance they offer. Located in a rural area, nearby attractions include a local chocolate shop and scenic views of Mudge Bay.
This place is always a must visit for us, when we are on the island, no matter what season it is. Better to have a 4x4, when you pull into the parking lot, in the winter. I love that the stairs can be still taken, to the foot of the falls at your own risk. You also better know how much you can handle.

What an amazing place to spend some time. Clean, plenty of parking, change rooms/restrooms. The water is wonderful but it's still an incredible experience for those who don't wish to get wet. Clear trails and solid stairwells make this a great place to explore.

Beautiful and astonishing! Looks like a smaller version of Niagara Falls. I used to pick wrong timing to visit various falls in Hamilton especially in the summer, they get drier if no rain nourishment. Now I think spring would be the perfect timing since all the snows in mountain and deep forest have started melting, not to mention it gets generous spring rains as well. There is stairs leading to the bottom and connecting with a trail. Walk with care in early spring as the surface could be icy and slippery. Limited parking spots available.

The Bridal Veil Falls is so gorgeous and has a unique and peaceful atmosphere. We took the hiking trail on the right bank of the river. It was moderately difficult and got a bit more challenging at some points. But it’s doable and worth every single moment.

Beautiful small waterfall. There aren't many stairs to climb down, so it's easy for even little ones. The water is shallow and safe for young visitors without parents or guardians to worry about.
Best part about this waterfall maybe is that you can go up close and even behind the veil without getting much wet.

A must visit while on the island! Soak yourself in the shallow water and sink in the veil-like falls.
An easy hiking trail starts right at the falls which can be enjoyed before/after the shower.
Small parking space by the falls, which gets really busy during weekends, but you can park a bit ahead and walk.

Alright if you are planning a day trip here from Toronto, remember that after the 1:45 hr ferry ride, it is 45 mins ride to the falls. Once you arrive, the parking lot might be full. Many people opted to park their cars in corners. The stairs down to the fall is directly from the parking lot.
The fall is visible from the parking lot. There are trails and Creeks.
There are 4 bathroom stalls, with no sink or running water. The Toilet paper was finished as well. The bathrooms were dirty and also being used as change rooms.
There isn’t enough flat ground to bring chairs. etc or much sitting area. The water isn’t too deep, you can walk through the falls to the back, the rocks are slippery. It was fairly busy when we arrived and it only got busier as the day went.
Tips:
Wear water shoes. The rocks hurt the feet
Bring waterproof phone bags.
Bring a bathing suit. Even if you think you won’t get into the water once you arrive it’s very tempting to not.

Travelled out of our way to visit this spot, but were barred from entry because of my service animal. Don’t support businesses that discriminate against disabled people.
In response to the business reply:
Thank you for your response, and for sharing your perspective on the situation. Id like to take this opportunity provide some information regarding the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). Under the AODA, it is a requirement for businesses to accommodate individuals with disabilities, including those who rely on service animals, to ensure equal access to goods and services.
Service animals are not considered 'pets,' and disabled individuals have the right to be accompanied by their service animals in most public places, including businesses, in accordance with AODA guidelines. Further, when a customer informs you that they require the use of a service animal replying with “it doesn’t matter” and telling the individual to carry their service animal in their arms because of your pet dogs inside of business being not socialized/ trained , is not accessible, or a welcoming environment.
To create a more inclusive and accessible environment for all visitors, I recommend familiarizing your staff with the AODA regulations regarding service animals. Ensuring compliance with these regulations will help you welcome a diverse range of customers, including those with disabilities who rely on service animals for assistance.
I appreciate your willingness to learn and adapt to better meet the needs of all your customers.

Very friendly staff. Some beautiful works of art and I truly appreciate the quality of work. However, don't go if you expect to find many options in the $100-300 range. Even the new artists demand a premium.
Treat it like a museum of local artist's work instead of a gallery for a potential piece. Kids found some nice costume jewelry for $10 - $30. Otherwise we walked away as my wife and I wouldn't pay the asking price for the artwork (and we make a good living). If your pockets are deep you may find a really nice piece from an established artist to bring home (some for $3000+).

So we've been here a couple times when visiting the island. The location is awesome, right across from Providence bay beach. Easy to walk to. If you want to go to the best part of the beach and be closer to the fish and chip place in town, then you can easily drive in, it's like a 3 minute drive. The beach is excellent. Sandy, cool water and you can walk out pretty far before it gets deep. There is even a pretty neat spot where the Mindemoya river empties into the lake through the beach and the mouth of the river changes shape everyday. It's cool.
The grounds of the park are like any other camp ground. Sites aren't secluded, you will have to set your site up to provide yourself with privacy if that's what you desire. The grounds are clean and when I arrived my site had been raked and fire ring appeared emptied.
When we visited people were quiet. There are many seasonal campers there.
The bathrooms here are dated but really they get the job done. You can have a hot shower, use the facilities and get cleaned up. It looked like a few were closed when we were here last and they had porta-potties outside of them.
They have firewood available at a reasonable price.
The staff all seem friendly. I will say there was one lady in the office, younger one, she seems to be a no nonsense person so don't go to her with any frivolous complaints because she won't have it. Some french Canadians were in the office when I was leaving and they were trying to explain a problem they were having but their English wasn't 100% and she seemed to be getting annoyed by them.
One recommendation I would have is to update the website. It's pretty useless. I don't even think you can view a map of the park on it. Maybe I am used to being able to book things online instantly, so when you have to call and give your credit card over the phone to secure your site and not even know where the campsite is or what it looks like, it's kind of antiquated. I'm sure it's a huge cost that might not be worth investing in. Just an old way of doing things.
Providence bay is in a good location on the island because you can do small day trips to every corner of the island so this location is a good base camp to stay at.
Would I recommend this campground? Yes. Would I stay here again? Yes.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. I have been camping here since I was a child, through my young adulthood and since becoming a parent. I cannot think of a more beautiful well cared for place to spend our family time off. I have continued to come to the park through the change to ownership and management. I have to say their personal dedication, personal vision, integrity, and sense of community has only contributed to incredibly positive experiences and memories our family has had the privilege of having . The new owners Nadia and Raymond have been so friendly, enthusiastic and professional that we can always rest assured that our family will be well cared for during our family vacations. The managers Beth and Kyle are incredibly pleasant, accommodating and always deal with people fairly, and with everyone's best interest.
I look forward to being here all year long because I know they put their heart, soul and sweat equity into making this place magical for us and everyone in the park. I cannot recommend this place more highly. If anyone has something bad to say about this place it's likely because they are entitled, egotistical, self centred people because I have travelled extensively around the world and I can assure you there is no better place filled with more genuine people than here. Definitely worth the trip one thousand times over!!!!

Best place on earth.
Must seen.
Clear water like tears.
Clean rock and sand beach.
So pure and untouched.
And camp side was great, clean and organized.
Me and my wife had an amazing camping.
Most important no mosquitoes on island.

Overall, one of the better privately owned campsites I've been to. I had booked for a few nights but had to leave after just one due to personal issues, the worker was very kind and understanding.
Pros:
- The washrooms are actually washrooms. Not just holes in the ground. And they are clean.
- The showers are free
- wood is decently priced
- campsites are surrounded by trees, making it easy to hand things such as Tarps.
- campsite comes with firepit, and picnic table
- family friendly campground, didn't notice any late night noises or parties.
- staff are very friendly
- right near the beach and lake.
*Possible* cons
- the firepit didn't have a grill
- campsites were pretty close together

Great RV and camping park! We enjoyed 3 days of camping. We loved how close we were to the beach and loved that we could go for morning and evening walks. Bathrooms were okay. 25 min drive from ferry terminal. Nice staff. Surprisingly there were barely any mosquitos. All in all a pleasant camping experience.

This is a family and pet friendly campground. The lots are large, tree lined and there are NO MOSQUITOS! 🏕 The nights are calm as people respect the quiet time rule. The beach is spectacular! It is literally right across the street, sandy and shallow for children. Mindemoya is 15 minutes from the park where you can get necessities; Little Current is about 45 minutes away. The washroom/showering areas need significant improvement. You will enjoy your time here. 🙂

Nice sites and for the most part pretty private. Easy bike ride or walk into town. Centrally located for day trips. Enjoyed the easy access to the beach. Washrooms need some work but definitely would stay again.

Just across the street from the beach, location is everything here. The nearest food is the beachfront concession to the west around a fifteen minute walk, other restaurants are a longer walk. The restrooms and showers are cramped and dated (one set was out of service). Their online presence is very limited. The campsites were pretty nice, flat with trees,, but bring your adapter for the AC hookup.

The location is spectacular and the property itself is lovely. The park is very well maintained, quiet and safe. The sites are clean and spacious, and we’ve always enjoyed our previous camping trips here. This year, however, the overall atmosphere of the park has definitely changed from the last time we were here, and we will look at other options for next year.
We requested to be near another couple who had arrived ahead of us, and they flat-out refused to place us on a site near them even though plenty of vacant sites were available throughout the time we were there. Their reasoning for this, we were told was; we were already assigned a site back when we booked, they do not disclose what that site number is, and they do not change them once they’re assigned. This would be somewhat understandable if they were at capacity, but there were many vacant sites, and they were quite unfriendly with their explanation.
There are agressive signs on the washrooms stating that children under 14 are not permitted in the washrooms unless accompanied by an adult, and that you are on video surveillance (??) and will be charged if you are in violation of this. I can see this applying to children under 6, but 14 is ridiculous! This didn't apply to us, but if you are camping with your teenagers, be aware of this.

Truly love this campground , the spots are private and spacious. The management go over and beyond their required duties. Friendly staff. Facilities and main grounds are kept clean. Close to the water and access to a nice boardwalk leading to the main beach and town.

Amazing place to stay! The people running it are great! Highly recommend. The beach is beautiful we spent most of our trip at the trailer park then walked out to the beach. We brought our dogs to the dog beach feet away from campsite.

Since we arrived in Canada 4 years ago, my family and I have always come camping at this place and, we had had good service, until the last time in June of this year where we were served by a fat and very rude woman, she started to She yelled at me and gave me a small place even though I reserved a big place for more people, she was very rude and because of her we will never return to this place nor would I recommend it.
