If you're looking for a tranquil beach to relax on, then Playa Majahua is the place for you. With its golden sand and crystal-clear waters, this beach is perfect for swimming and snorkeling. In addition to its gorgeous surroundings, the eatery here serves up some delicious seafood dishes and cocktails. Overall, it's an excellent spot to spend a day relaxing with family or friends.

The place is nice to bring your family since is a bay and the waves are not too strong , average prices for the area as 2022 a dish on the restaurant's are between 100 - 300 pesos average and have the option to byob except of course glass and You can buy snacks off the beach bring your shade or rent it

Beautiful beach for swimming and snorkeling. Restaurant service and beach salespeople have terrible service, but it's ok if you just want to enjoy the beach and some family time
Rudy W. — Google review
The beach is amazing. As long as you ignore the sellers constantly trying to sell you something. Some sell food, some sell massages, others sell snacks. The water is great and clear. Just be careful, we did see a few puffer fish on the far end so it could be dangerous for kids.
Bomba Blogs — Google review
Ideal for families with young children. It can get crowded. There was a lot of trash in the water. They need to fix that.
Abril Cabrera — Google review
The beach is perfect for kids and safe for beginner swimmers. Perfect for water activities nice clear water, barely any waves.
I brought my own chair and umbrella but couldn’t find anywhere to sit, the whole beach is taken by restaurants own umbrellas and chairs so we ended up paying $150 pesos for their chairs no bad and probably next time I won’t bring my own. I didn’t order food but is plenty options and vendors.
Was very busy on Friday , we had a great time
Chris & Lucy — Google review
I was told it was quiet but the day we went it was super busy. But that did not detract from the calm waves and docile nature of the water.
Even only ankle deep the fish swim right up to you, when you swim closer to the rocks there are more types of fish.
Locally speaking there are dozens of stores on the way there and 3 cantina's right there on the beach.
Parking was 50mxn for the entire day.

Caletilla Beach is a popular destination in Acapulco, known for its two small beaches that come together to form a cove on the southern part of the Peninsula de Playas. In the 1950s, it was a favorite spot for celebrities and millionaires. Visitors can take a glass-bottom boat ride from Caletilla beach to reach the island where they can explore and see various tropical jungle animals at a small zoo.

Located near aquarium with plenty of restaurant's to choose from. Amongst the better places for food quality and portion. But not all resturants are equal. I had good luck with one called, "El Pop" superb food. The beaches could be cleaner thus my reduction to three stars.
Ulises Tejeda — Google review
It's a cheaper alternative beach, if your low on cash or don't want to spend a lot, this is for you. There is a lot of people constantly trying to sell you things, the food is ok.for the price, and a bit crowded.

The Capilla de la Paz is an open-air sanctuary perched atop a cliff overlooking Acapulco Bay. The imposing pyramid-style building features a large cross towering over the landscape and offers sweeping views of the water. Visitors are free to enter and explore the chapel, which is open daily.
The views are amazing. No picture gives the chapel any justice. While we were there the chapel was preparing for a wedding. Oir guide said the chapel is very popular for weddings and events.

This chapel is breathtakingly beautiful. There isn't anything too complex about the architecture. It's simple yet stunning. The English translation is "Chapel of Peace" and it truly gives you a sense on peace as you sit inside the chapel. There isn't a particular religion associated with the chapel, everyone is welcome. The scenery around the church is beautiful, the palm trees, the view of the Bay and the property is well maintained as well.
There is no entrance fee to visit, however you can give a donation to one of the staff working at the facility.
I would definitely recommend a visit to this Chapel on your trip to Acapulco, Mexico.

The Acapulco Historical Museum, located in the pentagonal Fort San Diego built by the Spanish Empire in the 17th century, showcases 13 exhibition halls that comprehensively cover the city's history. The museum offers interesting displays in both Spanish and English on Acapulco's past as a vital port for trade with the Philippines, including information on galleons, cargo, and piracy.
A great place in Acapulco! Few people know it’s the most historical place in this area.
This historic museum has a beautiful art

The Mercado Central in Acapulco is a large and sprawling market with many vendors selling everything from fruits and vegetables to meats and seafood. It can be hard to navigate, but it's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.
I love taking trips to the Mercado. I always find what I need. It's very winding and best to go with someone who had been several times to help you navigate.

It’s got pretty much any fruits, vegetables, meats and fish that you could eat. It is kind of smelly and dirty but what the hay, it’s in Acapulco, I will not complain about that!! The prices are reasonable and it’s fun if you’re not too persnickety about hygiene. You’re going to wash your produce anyway right? Right? 😁
Owen Gilmore — Google review
Anything and everything you can find here in the mercado central. Some areas are dirty and other areas are smelly (fish)! Don't wear any jewelry there and keep track of your wallet at all times ( better safe than sorry). Very colorful and cheap clothes, sandals and fruits and vegetables of the season can be found here. Enjoy 😎

The main market in Acapulco is spectacular. It is a bit labyrinth and hard to see all the huge number of vendors, selling basically everything. Get there bright and early for the best selections...

Got lost here searching for food and a few of the vendors only sent me to a small area where they only sell quesadillas, later I found a big area where they had everything!
boo for the cop and the 2 vendors!!!!

Want to know Acapulco in a different way? Try back-bagging and stop at this market to have any meal during the day. Perfect for multiple souvenir shopping, prices are by far lower than on the "costera" and other nicer hotel areas. This zone, yet, is perfect for local travelers and young people searching for fun at the best rates without the flash of the great hotels there.

The market "Mercado Artesanías La Diana" is a great place to find souvenirs, crafts, and clothing. However, be prepared for very attentive sales people who will try to get you to buy from them. It can be a bit crowded in the small aisles, but overall it's an enjoyable visit.
If you are in Acapulco go shopping here first and look for my friend chaparrito Gaby, he sells nice hats, t-shirts and stuff.
Giancarlo Morresi — Google review
Great selection of items, too bad the sales people are way too pushy to enjoy the market. We even had some of the stands become real angry and rude with us when we wouldn’t buy anything from them. I really wish I could have enjoyed a stroll through market without the pressure. We did find one stand in the middle with a really sweet older couple running it, their names were Yolanda and Navi. They were the nicest in the whole market. Too bad you have to survive the rest of the market to visit their shop.
Paul Clowers — Google review
You can find all the souvenirs here. Pens, mugs, lamps, shirts, clothing, bottle openers, wall decorations, art, jewelry etc. There is A LOT of competitive sellers that are constantly trying to get you to buy from them, which of course is understandable. It's their living. But overall great place to visit for gifts, just be prepared for all INCREDIBLY ATTENTIVE sales folk. Some speak English.

As I was leaving, the guard at the door asked me if I could show him my bag? I told him: "excuse me"???? I honestly felt offended and told him so. To which he replied that "it's routine." Is it NOT possible that one as a tourist comes to do their bit to continue with the reactivation of the port and they come out with it??? I was close to asking to speak to the manager and asking them to cancel my purchase but my mother told me to calm down and I agreed to let the guard take a look at my bag but I still felt offended.
It is the first and last time that I visit that store. I prefer to avoid another bad moment and I'll stay with Liverpool WITHOUT A DOUBT!!! That's what I get for going to that crappy store!

Gracias BanCoppel por sus servicios, fueron muchos años de colaboración mutua en nuestros asuntos financieros. Nos vamos a extrañar.....!!!

The Playa Pie de la Cuesta is a renowned street situated on the northwest of Acapulco, which is adorned with a stretch of open-air seafood eateries and bars. Moreover, this beachfront street also offers modest accommodation to visitors. The location boasts a lagoon where tourists can rent boats during the day to spend their time on the water. In addition, it is an ideal spot for watching breathtaking sunsets in the evenings.
(Translated by Google) If you like to watch the sunset you should visit this place, the beach is open sea but you can still access it with caution. It is a very quiet beach, with few people, excellent for taking photos and relaxing. There is also accommodation and the restaurants have delicious and fresh food; in addition to excellent service.

This Museum does an excellent job in helping you understand the birth of the region. It uses a chronological format to display information. Starting in the Mesoamerican time frame through the colonial and then the independence days of Mexico. It has some original artifacts of the early days of the region. The day that I went the admission was free so don't miss this opportunity to go see the heritage of the region.

Here the same things are idolized as in Mexico City and the Mexican influence was very great here. People are still ignorant about all that but the museum is good to learn about

From there on out the Museum looks well maintained, clean, it has rooms with a lot of information whether in display cases, infographics, videos, audio, there are other interactive installations and I found a workshop to paint your own tiger, fortunately it was not just for children and I was able to make my own. I hope they maintain this activity or expand the offer as it makes the visit more enjoyable.
