Beautiful tidy town with great activities and amenities, and lookout spots.
A walking delight, and a magnet for surfers. Very family oriented and very safe.
Mark Wayne HAWKINS (Newtrix) — Google review
Nice lookout with beautiful views, but nothing too special about it. There are a few parking spots, one picnic table and a bin available. There is a short walk from the parking area to more views.
Ali Akbari — Google review
One of the highlights of my trip.. A short easy walk down to the view from the carpark..
Jing Yi Chan — Google review
Short walk from the water tower car park to a fantastic view of the headland. Not many car parks available and walking track has not been maintained so not suited for wheelchairs or canes. You can walk the whole way into town but it does get quite steep so bring hiking shoes.
Long drop off the edge of headland with no barrier - so not suited for young children who may run off.
Christian King — Google review
Beautiful view and great location, not much room for parking if you're in a large truck or towing a caravan that has a view but a little further back down the road is plenty of space.
The water tank is pained nicely too
Balake — Google review
Nice views. Worth a visit. Easy walk.
David Klaverstyn — Google review
Ok lookout but the view is somewhat obstructed and you'll need to walk a few mins down the track
AJ Cullen — Google review
The view from the lookout is spectacular, well worth visiting. There is a water tank at the lookout which has been partially adorned with artwork, but it has been poorly done and has been largely grafetti'd over, making it look awful.
Peter Neeson — Google review
They were doing maintenance and some areas got fenced off when we went there on 25 Dec 2021. Didn’t have toilets. But the view is pretty nice. Would recommend finishing these maintenance matters and adding a few amenities such as public toilets and shaded sitting areas. You actually have the space for these things.
Tony Zhu — Google review
We stayed in an airbnb here with view of the front and back beach. I wish I live here !
Asam Pedas — Google review
Walked through the various grass tracks. Stunning. No guard rails and huge drop offs, so not suitable for little kids. Fairly flat walk though and fantastic views
Tom H — Google review
Very pretty views and nice to be able to walk all the way out to the end of the head. There are toilets in the car park and lots of grass or benches to sit on. Fun to watch all the surfers.
Great coastline and super close to town. The beach is nice and also the river leading into the ocean.
There is also a surf life saving club there too with a cafe.
Emily Keye — Google review
Breathtaking! Go, take a seat and just marvel at it!!! Then go swim in the river and the beach breaks are amazing!!! Great for families too -I am making this a place to revisit for sure. Locals are very friendly and also possibility of SUP hiring and good choice for cafes after walk/swim.
Quaint, octagonal 1891 beacon with a winding staircase & overnight stays at the keeper's cottage.
A short steep walk up the hill from the car park but the sublime views at the top more than made up for it. Would love to go again and suss out the local hiking trails
Roxi Jay — Google review
Amazing views all around. Was lucky enough to see a handful of whales from the top at the lighthouse as well. Definitely worth the trip, though watch the road on the drive in, there are some large/deep potholes.
Matthew Smith — Google review
The views were amazing. Plenty of parking and easy ~500m walk but steep incline. I was disappointed there wasn't a set of information signs to tell the history/stories, and the venue was closed, on a sat morning. It's an operating light house with incredible ocean views. This is in a National Park and dogs are strictly prohibited even in cars.
Curtis Raams — Google review
Awesome scenic views and loads of wind in the face!!
Kids loved the running around ..
A steep hill to hike but views and peace up there, definitely worth it!!
Buks Roses — Google review
Best views I've seem from a light house. There was no one else there when we arrived for sunset. The thing that I loved most was the kangaroos feeding along the paths to the lighthouse. Even my 3yr old said "that is a beautiful building".
Soane Tupou — Google review
Great views and well worth a visit. Easy to access via car, was lucky enough to see the whales migrating north. Quite a lot of photo opportunities.
Matthew Coughlan (Matty) — Google review
The walk to the top is certainty a hard slog but well worth the effort. Lovely views and the blue and white colours give you a feeling of being on a Greek Island
Iwander — Google review
My third visit this year. The views are always stunning and the drive there through the rainforest is stunning also. The short but very steep walk from the car park up to the lighthouse needs to be taken slowly with frequent breaks to study the view.
Geri Haydon — Google review
Nice view from the top of the hill. Very steep hill. Very hard I would say to get a wheelchair up or if you are not very physical
David Shead — Google review
We were here five years ago and saw a few whales. This time again, we were not disappointed. A mother whale and her calf were playing. Spectacular to watch in the already stunning scenery. Three room six persons accodmoation is available as well. A bit of a steep climb but the rain on the side lends help to even elderly people.
Rajendran Ramachandran — Google review
Beautiful lighthouse, very steep walk up but well worth it, some stunning views and also has lovely picnic area nearby as well as a couple of hikes in this area. Beware of snakes as we saw some during our stop, this was in mid October
Lieske Vrachnos — Google review
Great views up and down the coast. Walk from car park to lighthouse is a little steep but well worth it for the views
Dez P — Google review
We came here at sunset and the views to the south are absolutely beautiful. I’d love to come here for a sunrise one morning.
Nick Searson — Google review
Lovely spot and fabulous views, even accommodation next door if you want a relexing break away. Kangaroos roaming with their Joey's, it's fab.
Jacqueline F — Google review
Beautiful views can be had from the steep walk up to the lighthouse, as I did. But even if you aren't up to that last walk up, you can enjoy views in both directions from the seats near the car park.
Bill Richardson — Google review
If you’re not from around these ways like us. You’re going to want to see and enjoy this.
Boasting spectacular scenic views of cascading hills and mountain tops, rolling ocean waves and picturesque blue skies. You are bound to enjoy the encounter from many points of views.
Bring a packed lunch with you and position your picnic blanket if you want and soak up the amazing million dollar gift this destination has to offer. Smokey Cape Lighthouse is a well kept heritage listed and active light house for those out at sea. A beautiful and tranquil space to explore and enjoy for all.
An amazing dive Center. The boys at south west rocks dive Center are amazing! They have awesome attitude, very knowledgeable and absolutely friendly!
The dive sites around fish rock are stunning - visibility tends to be quite good and there is always wobbies, grey nurses, tons of cray fish & lobsters and very very high chances to see turtles!
Fish in the thousands swimming around the gutters, cave, rock itself and everywhere around!
Petko Petkov — Google review
Honestly one of the best dive experience I've had! The SWR team were all extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. They genuinely wanted all of us to have a good time. Pete did a long briefing to explain every detail of what we'll be doing and what to expect. The dive masters Matt and Albert were hilarious and shared some hectic dive stories while we were on the boat. I went as a group of 6 with my regular diving mates and we'd all highly recommend going with these guys and getting a cheeky merch from the dive shop! Stayed with them for 2 nights in the dive shop accom and some of us did 2 days of diving while some did 1.
Felisa Zen — Google review
Literally diving into a different universe swimming with grey nurse sharks, rays and plenty of fish and on top of all that the cave dive. The crew is fantastic and caters for everyone above and under water. My favourite dive spot.
Anika P — Google review
First time and definitely not the last 🌊❤️🤩
We did 2 days of boat dives on the Orca with Kev, Lily and Matt.
Very professional and safe to dive with 💪🏽
We did the aquarium, the cave and fish&chips 😍🤩🥳
If you are AOWD and nitrox certified, this is a must stop!!!

Réka Spallino — Google review
The best dive centre I’ve dived with in Australia so far. The crew are so friendly yet professional. Our guide Joe was the best, navigating the current to help us make the most of some of the best dives I’ve ever done. I rarely write reviews but here, I’d recommend them to anyone so definitely go for a dive with these guys. Thanks for all the hammerheads, grey nurses, and the glassiest day out!
Valerie Cornet — Google review
Had a great dive, felt very safe despite tricky conditions over the Bar. Dive Masters were safe in assessing conditions and always pointed out interesting things, assessed whether the newbies (me and another infrequent diver) were capable to dive the cave. Overall great experience and we were in good hands. Also boat was very clean and just had a great time all around despite less than ideal viz.
I left my fins accidentally and they got posted back safely too.
Thank you so much and highly recommended.
Sophia Lee — Google review
Thoroughly impressive experience, from welcoming, equipment preparing, routine nitrox, briefing and knowledge of the area. Was at first nervous with the first cave dive but the instructors were flexible with multiple options and no pressure at all. Did the deep dive and chimney after all, absolutely magical 🤩 great dive site for diversity - turtles, leopard sharks, octopus - just miss out on the nurse sharks so will definitely be back!
Dom K — Google review
This dive shop is run by the best people. They really put an effort into every little detail of the dive. Always providing nitrox for your comfort and peace of mind regardless of your training. Hot water shower between dives, snacks, coffees and soup. Had an amazing time. They also go out of their way to make sure your dives are what you want them to be.
Thank you Peter, Matt, Lily and the team. Will definitely be back
Kris Chan — Google review
Easily the best dive I’ve done in Australia. So much life from the grey nurse sharks and wobegongs to turtles and rays. Whale song so loud it vibrated your chest. Matt was a great guide and made sure everyone got the most from their dives even with different experience levels in the group. The cave was such a unique experience. Will definitely be back.
jay christopher — Google review
My recent dive with South West Rocks Diving Center was nothing short of amazing. The professional and super friendly dive instructors made safety their top priority, providing thorough briefings and ensuring top-notch equipment. The dives were stunning; the dive site is the best I've ever experienced. You dive with a small group, and the boat ride of around half an hour is enjoyable as well. I highly recommend this diving center for a safe, enjoyable, and unforgettable dive adventure. I will definitely come back there!
Karoline Batko — Google review
Loved every minute of it!
10/10 staff and dives.
Thank you Peter & Kevin, what a great team of professionals you have on board!
Heaps of GNS, eels, octopus, rays and fishies galore!
Thank you to our dive guide Mike, Brendan, Skipper Steve and Jai for making the trip 👍
Such a pleasure to deal with and for making our dives memorable. Be back soon! Cannot wait! 🤙

GREAT GREAT GREAT. I came here in November 2021 to do the cave dive and see some Grey Nurse sharks. This is in my top 3 best dives ever. We saw A LOT of sharks, but also a lot of other marine life. We felt safe, the briefing was pertinent and clear and we were a small group of divers with many divemasters. The view of the ''aquarium'' coming out of the cave is just outstanding with all the fishes and the sharks. I recommend +++++. They give a lot of snacks in between dives, which is very appreciated.
Marilyne Beaumier — Google review
Absolutely brilliant dive: do not skip the fish rock cave dive experience. The grey nurse sharks at the cave entrance - so chill, just cruising between the schools of fish - as you come out of thr dark are just great. The dive centre and crew are super friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and the whole trip went so smoothly (just as we remembered it from 2017 when we did this the first time).
Naomi Dempsey — Google review
Great diving!
Did 4 dives over the weekend and can recommend. Fish rock cave is beautiful and due to the confidence you have in the guides and crew, was at ease the whole time in the cave. The finisher with grey nurse sharks, wobbes and fish schools is the cherry. Diving around fish rock was also speccy with some beautiful schools, massive grouper, plenty of rays, eels etc.
The dive crew are extremely professional and have it all under control. Accommodation is clean and tidy. Appreciate having an opportunity to dive with this team. I recommend.

5/98 Gregory St, South West Rocks NSW 2431, Australia
Remains of a 19th-century prison featuring a museum & memorial located on a scenic peninsula.
Trial Bay Gaol is a excellent place to see a little of Australia's history. It was such a great time exploring the grounds. There was a small entry fee of $10 but this was defiantly worth it. Spend around 2 hours just walking around looking at all the different cells and sights.
Chris O'Connor — Google review
Excellent little slice of Australian History.
Kids loved reading about the prisoners, and what the different buildings were used for. There is a very small entry fee, but it's worth the spend. The location is stunning now... but must have seemed like the end of the earth in the 1800's.
Grounds were full of Grey Kangaroos, and we even glimpsed a tree snake sunning on the wall near the guards tower!
Aaron Carpenter — Google review
The gaol is missing many of the original fittings as they were sold after it stopped being used. There is lots of info including a 10 minute video at the start.
It’s quite interesting but lacks many of the props that more established museums have.
It’s worth a look but not much there to captivate the attention of children.
There is currently a sculpture exhibition in the gaol and you also have an opportunity to get up close and personal with kangaroos who live there.
Jill Le Feuvre — Google review
This is a stunning peice of history with a very interesting story. If you don't want to pay for the tour, you can read and see most of the important and interesting facts from outside.
Mick Micallef — Google review
Gorgeous place to visit. Allow 1 - 1.5 hours for a visit. The introductory video is 10 minutes and the grounds are a reasonable size. The toilets are clean and this is very informative.
This was infinatiely better than other penal colonies and gaols I have visited (looking at you port Arthur), however Castel st Angelo in rome is probably the best gaol.
I would definitely revisit.
Karl Chong — Google review
If you like history then this is the place for you.
As you walk around you will be captivated by what it would feel like to be a prisoner back in the day.
Don’t forget to have a look in the little museum just as you go through the entry on your right.
And take the short walk up the hill to where you will find the graves and an amazing view of the goal.
Anne Wheaton — Google review
Trial Bay Gaol was full of interesting sights. There was so much to explore, and you can easily spend a good two hours here. There's a small entry fee ($10), but it's definitely worth the price.
Sharnee R. — Google review
Wow, what an incredible piece of history! So well preserved. Great stories and information to help imagine the people kept at the gaol. A highlight of our trip to South West Rocks.
Rachel Grant — Google review
I took my 5year old son to explore Trial Bay Goal, and we had such a wonderful time, and we learnt so much about the history. The video was a little long for him to watch, but you can walk around and learn throughout. We finished with going to the bay for a play in the sand, beautiful water and surroundings.
Rochelle Birch — Google review
Amazing place to enjoy. Very well maintained with facilities and wonderful crowds. The place gets busy with visitors. The surrounding area are also busy with campers. Very close to the beach. Lots of parking spaces, there's also cafe nearby.
Ant0n G — Google review
Nothing quite like learning about historic events and the world well before our time.
Had no idea the English treated the Germans so poorly but I guess that’s the way the world was back then.
There’s a small fee everyone must pay if you want to wander through Trial Bay Gaol and absorb the impressions of the people left behind in this place. Visitors can read through stories of prisoners and why they ended up in here and the daily sufferings of abuse victims had to endure for months and years as a consequence for their petty crimes which wasn’t petty back then. After all we are referring to 1885 where life was a lot harder and small crimes sometimes punishable by death.
On a more positive note. Visitors get to see another part of Trial Bay Gaol. As you walk around to the rear from the entrance and climb a set of stairs. You’ll get to enjoy picturesque ocean scenery and wonder wildly and differently from what you’ve just learnt about life way back then.
It’s obvious the workers of Trial Bay Gaol had it good. So glad to live in times where jails like this … merely exist. Society as a whole had become more open to kindness rather than cruelty and violence. But who knows what the world will become in 50 - 100 years from now. Places like this sure do make you wonder.
T Agassiz — Google review
This is an excellent site for people who are looking for a taste of Australian history. Whilst being an aesthetically pleasing place to visit it holds a lot of information a out the prison itself - from when it was first created and used for and who even tried to escape.
Right next to it is a fantastic beach and a park with rocks you can stand upon and watch the ocean and waves. Haves a fantastic mini-museum and a great gift shop! On top of all this you get a fantastic view from the lookout.
Would highly recommend!
Will — Google review
Interesting place - with remarkably no creepy vibes. A beautiful location, with interesting signage and a spectacular campsite below that is worth staying at. The jail was used intermittently as a reform/public works prison for good behaviour prisoners, to an internment camp for well-to-do German / other “enemies of the state” during WW1. Also site of indigenous significance (although not as much mentioned on that). And a failed breakwater project which sits as a reminder of failed public works projects from days of yore.
Alice Kimberley — Google review
What a wonderful venue to showcase sculptural artworks! A good variety of mixed media and a lot of metal sculptures were on display at 'Sculpture in the Gaol' in September 2023. Would've liked to have seen more clay sculptures. No trouble finding a parking spot and we were treated by the sight of a pod of whales just as we arrived.
Temmina Kuijpers — Google review
Have been here several times over the years and still find something interesting on every visit.
The intro video (continuously running in the room in the right-hand corner after entering the entry gates) gives a great description of the gaol that puts everything into perspective as you walk around.
Signage around the site is pretty informative if you have time to read it. Don't forget to have a look at the museum on the way out (through the left hand door as you exit the gates). It's over 2 levels which may not be accessible to everyone as there is a narrow staircase.
Jason Connolly — Google review
A must see place of you are nearby! Wonderful jail with a lot of history. Highly recommend the Twilight Tour (book ahead online). It's 1.5 hour with a very knowledgeable guide. Really explains the full story behind the place. Lots of signs with photos bring the history to life.
Claire Dwyer — Google review
We did the twilight trial bay jail tour, the knowledge was good and the lady who did the tour had a good personality. The tour went for 90minutes which was good. The history of the jail was different to what I thought. View is lovely
Louise Rose — Google review
Great family experience. There is a 10min intro video with the history. You can enter the cells and lock them etc, they make a great iron clashing sound. There are story boards everywhere as you go, I especially liked the bath house. Parking is direct out the front. Cost was $40 2A1C.
Curtis Raams — Google review
A historical site that Id recommend to visit if in the area. Cool preserved areas with great stories behind them. The watchtower at the back of the site is a great vantage point for a photo.

A scenic walk by the water, where you'll pass the time looking at the breakwall art. Some well done, some kindergarten level, all with a story! Really cool. Lit up at night, as well. Can't wait to come back with paints n bring out my Banksy!!

If you come to Nambucca Heads, you have to visit the V Wall. Heaps of parking.
So beautiful. Lovely flat & wide walkway.
Adventures with C.K. — Google review
Beautiful and long walk along the water with thousands of colourful, well painted rocks lining the shore. Saw the biggest and closest pod of dolphins I've ever seen in my life towards the end, playing in the waves. Must do if anywhere in the area
Ben Cannon — Google review
Beautiful Scenic walk on Break wall. Access to Estuary and River mouth. Clean, good amenities ,with toilets close, picnic tables and perfect for little ones supervised swimming on Estuary side.
Geoff Arrowsmith — Google review
The V Wall is truly a gem in Nambucca Heads! The paintings on the rocks create a unique and vibrant atmosphere. The ample parking space ensures convenience, and the nice walking path is perfect for a leisurely stroll with stunning views. If you're fortunate, you might even catch a glimpse of dolphins.
Elizabeth Rufo (Liz Rufo) — Google review
Hidden little gem on the coast with gorgeous walks. The beach is quiet with cafes and a pub close by. There are bathrooms and picnic facilities close by as well.
Shenny Penny — Google review
Wonderful artwork and memorials for loved ones and families to make their mark on this long rock wall. Good for a walk and storytelling
Erin Le souef — Google review
I loved travelling to Nambucca such a picturesque town with plenty of gorgeous views and places to see. I loved the V wall, with its unique and versatile art.
Will certainly be back.
FlameLily K — Google review
The V Wall is a great place to visit, bring the family, go swimming, have a picnic, go fishing, or just have a leisurely walk checking out the rock graffiti otherwise known as rock art. You may also see fish from the wall or even Dolphins on a good day.
If you want to see some drone footage of the area check out my youtube at @NewmanMediaCollective.
There are several places where people can swim from the protected shallow start of the V Wall to the other side which is even better for young children as it does not get the currents. Currently there is sand halfway down the wall serving as an extra beach which some are taking advantage of. At the end of the wall to the left is Wellington Beach which is also popular.
There are toilet facilities at the beginning of the wall and a couple of places you can purchase food drinks or icecreams to keep everyone happy. There are also a couple of sculptures and picnic tables available.
Normally you will be able to find a parking spot but in the peak holiday periods it may be a bit more difficult. I've never failed to get one though.
The V Wall from point to point is around 900m. 600m for the main side and a further 300m on the less used side. It is a flat cemented path which is suitable for prams, bikes, wheelchairs or other mobility devices. Suitable for all ages.
The rock graffiti consists mostly of people/families making their mark. It also seems to have a growing number of remembrance plaques. The best ones are the more artistic efforts. It is constantly changing as new people add to it so you can come every year and see different artwork alongside some older ones.
Definitely worth the time to visit.

Love Nambucca Heads compassion shown by its residents. Secret dinning place at the end of the wall. Beautiful chef food was a surprise.

Graffiti or art the choice is in the eye of beholder. It's a very noice walk, flat with great views of the beach, sea and river. The painted rocks are interesting, some are definitely inspired the rest well leave that up to you. We'll worth taking an hour or so to enjoy something different.
Gavin — Google review
lovely place to visit plenty of parking lots of painted rocks to look at,

We were so amazed by this boardwalk and it surrounding. Adjacent to the Reflections holiday park, a lot of families with kids and dogs were around playing with water, kayaking, swimming, fishing, sunbathing or jet skiing or boating. The walk itself is a brilliant idea to allow people the opportunity to appreciate breathtaking view without making it as easy for people to damage the wetlands and lagoon and mangrove areas. Didn’t count the steps but my guess is the walk is only a few hundred meters. But so definitely worth your time.
Tony Zhu — Google review
Great footbridge goes all the way to the headland, caravan park is on the river where the footbridge starts and has ocean and river views. Lovely town with a pub, a club or 2, a supermarket and plenty of other amenities. Great for fishing and boating. Great for families and couples and has lots of interesting towns and beach spots within a 20 minute drive. This is our next holiday destination for our 40 foot motorhome/bus.

Awesome place for whole day trip. Boardwalk is really amazing. Take some bread with you while going for walk to feed fishes. Park is really nice , couple of shades, kids playground, shower facilities are there. Toilets are well maintained. Parking 🅿️ is good , if you don’t find parking on those spots, you can park on street two three minutes walk.
Fahriar Ahmed — Google review
Perfect swimming beach for younger kids. There’s a little jetty they can jump off with a short swim to a pontoon.
The boardwalk is a beautiful kilometre walk with the inlet on the left and mangroves on the right ending at a stunning unspoilt beach
Vernon Song — Google review
Beautiful. Walked out to the end saw stingrays Roos pelicans and a python of some description in the trees next to the boardwalk. You can get on to the beach at the end of the boardwalk. It was nice and quiet when I was there. We liked it so much we went back to see the sunrise. Recommended:)

A beautiful and clean beach near the Urunga bus station. There are many nice views along the boardwalk. But a little bit windy☺️
Y Zhou — Google review
It’s a scenic walk, kids and pet friendly. Best time to visit is at sunrise or sunset. There is plenty of parking available. Recommend to spend 1-2 hours. It’s quite a relaxing place
Asima Majeed — Google review
A great idea. Seats asking the way for those who are frail. When the sun is out it can be very hot as there is no shade. Takes you from the car park to the oceans asking the river. An interesting side walk about half way out. The board walk has subsided on one side making for an interesting walk
Bryan McGlade — Google review
Hamish my dog and I had a superb experience we strolled along the boardwalk to the end where we encountered the beach. The views of the South Pacific Ocean are magnificent and not a soul in sight. Skinny dipping was called for, perfect waves, perfect temperature, only the sound of the waves lapping the beach.
Sam Rennie — Google review
Urunga Broadwalk is an excellent walkway to visit. One side of the two KM walkway is seashore and the other side is a Mangrove forest. The walkway is on the wet land between the two divine beauties 🥰
The walkway ends to the beach which is also very pleasant to see.

Beautiful Sunrise and Sunset views. The beach is so nice, with very blue water. Worth the walk, no steps and few bends.

Pretty amazing good Location (15 min Board walk) if you are doing a Road trip Brisbane to Sydney, Relaxing , Sea and mountain view , Something Dramatic
Must visit , Enjoy the view in evening specially.
sarath bhavan — Google review
Lovely 2km (return) boardwalk that goes through the mangroves to the beach. When it’s low tide you can also walk down to the creek area. Just beware that there’s a lot of people on this walk, so it gets quite tight at times.
Dogs should be on leash but many people don’t do it, which is a shame because there’s a lot of endangered shorebirds here 😞
Jessie W — Google review
We enjoyed to walk along the board walk which is between the estuary and the mangroves out to the ocean. It is an easy walk, quite a distance but good with rest areas along g the way. There are also information boats which make good reading.
Helen Thomson — Google review
This was a beautiful boardwalk, about 1km in length, so 2km all up crossing over the south arm of the Bellinger River, through some beautiful coastal heath and mangroves, all the way to the beach at the end. Stroller and wheelchair accessible. There are steps down if you like and at low tide you can walk out onto the dry river bed.
Lieske Vrachnos — Google review
Highly recommend this flat 2km 30min walk (includes return). The boardwalk can be a bit tight at times but it is certainly worth it. At the end of the boardwalk you can enter the off leash dog beach if you like.

This tourist attraction in the Coffs Harbour region is dedicated to swimming with dolphins and seals, as well as watching whale and sea lion shows. It is a popular destination for visitors from all over Australia.
Amazing place. They do amazing work saving animals. Many different experiences available within general entry fee as well as extra paid ones. Very informative presentations. Animals are amazing, especially dolphins which you get the chance to touch. I hope this place is kept open. Itt is our second visit.

Fantastic conservation education attraction. The garden area and small exhibits would be great is extended as it was extremely crowded. Would suggest having the private dolphin and seal encounters in another pool as a lot of children were upset seeing others have these and facilities need updating like fans and fresh drinking fountain. The penguin area seemed very small for the number of penguins and hot for them. But the shows were great to see and well presented.

Interesting place to visit.
Not a large amount of animals on display. To get the most out of you day pass you need to go to all the shows. Otherwise not too much to see. The shows are very informative.

What an amazing little Sanctuary!
Wonderful animals, and information, the talks were very informative and interactive.
Even though it was almost cyclone weather the kids aged 13-7 had an absolute ball. I don’t know how we’ll go back to the Seal show at Taronga Zoo after the amazing seal show and even more incredible Dolphin Show. Hands to the keepers and staff for persevering in the torrential rain.
Food was yummy and well priced and the gift shop was special, we snagged some original masterpieces by the seals.

One of the best experiences! there are not many animals but without a doubt it is the opportunity to interact with seals, dolphins and feed fishes and turtles. If you pay for the dolphin encounter in low season you can have a very good discount, this experience is incredible. Just love it ! 😍🐬🐬🐬

We have been visiting this amazing place for years now and everything about the place, staff, marine life encounters, viewings, location is all very worthy of a 5 star review!
I'm not sure who is more excited to go here each time we do, my wife and I or the kids! We always have an incredible time and are very grateful for the opportunity your establishment offers us.
For anyone who hasn't gone here yet, you won't regret it! It is amazing 👏

Really fun place. Went in through the general admission tickets and really enjoyed the dolphin / sealion shows …total value for money

Took my daughter here and had a lovely day. The highlight being the dolphin show which was worth waiting around for. Plenty of other tanks and pools to keep the kids interested. There was a seal getting around the park aswell which kept things entertaining and fun. Cool little park with friendly staff.

Great learning about sea life rescue and conservation.
At first, I thought it was a bit pricey for a small park that is only open for 4 hours. But that thought goes away when you walk around and see the animals, learn their story, and interact with some of the rescued ones in the turtle hospital.
It will only take you an hour or less to look around. There will be some scheduled talks between the 4 hours the park is open. But, be sure not to miss the Dolphin and Seal show. Not only that you get informed on how they are rescued and treated, but you also get a chance to experience interacting with the seal and dolphins.
The price you pay is more than worth it.

I was so impressed with the spark today . The people are beautiful and the animals are a very happy family . It was such an experience and an impressive Day out . We all had a great Day from 5 year old to 50 year old . We spent 11am to almost 2pm .
I have been to Maui Ocean Centre it was lovely but this was better (Finding Dory) .
The work they do in the Animal rehabilitation area was impressive. But the team they’re working are welcoming warm and and love the animals dearly. The park isn’t new but clean and fresh and plenty of room for big groups . I will be going back and encouraging our visitors to go and enjoy the day . The show and animals were Magic . Thankyou

Came across the Dolphin Marine Conservation Park on our way to Port Macquarie and happy to say it was worth the stop. We enjoyed everything they had to offer and learned a lot of the park and the animal's they have. Really enjoyed the dolphin show and the seal encounter. Would definitely recommend stopping here if you pass by.

Amazing and lovely place to visit. Park is very clean, staff are friendly and very informative. Had a great afternoon and my daughter had an unforgettable time swimming with a dolphin.

Better than SeaWorld, everything you would want to see is right here, kid friendly, affordable, clean & the meals are delicious.
My two little girls 4 & 2 years old were utterly delighted to see all the animals & tickled pink they got to give the dolphins an ice block & feed the stingray.
Thanks to all the friendly staff for their knowledge. We loved it that much we will be back next month.

This place is still just as amazing as when I was a kid! Was insanely happy I took my daughter there this year! The current owner loves the site and everything it stands for in conservation and rescue.
I can highly recommend the sealion and dolphin experience!!

We had the most enjoyable day. Got to feed a ray, and a small shark.
Seen penguins being fed, the dolphins and sea lion performing, small turtles, and large turtles in the turtle hospital.
The staff are very knowledgeable on the needs of the animals, and we came away with so much information.
Please support the work being carried out for these creatures by donations

I came from Melbourne to participate in 2 weeks placement as part of my Certificate 3 in Wildlife and Exhibited Animal Care course in March this year. Working with marine mammals has been a dream job of mine since I was 10 and my experience at the sanctuary has ignited that dream even further. The knowledge and experience that every individual staff member has is absolutely incredible and any question I asked was answered with such passion and detail. My goal for the fortnight was to immerse myself into the job as much as I could and the team of staff ensured that I dabbled in all areas of the job covering a range of animal species, which resulted in creating life long memories and hands on skills.
The love and care that these trainers show for their animals is like none other and you can see how beautiful the trust and relationships are between trainer and animal, a feeling I wish to experience in this field one day. The knowledge I came home with has expanded my skills and work ethic in this industry and I am looking forwards to the day when I can go back and visit the sanctuary again!
Thank you to all the staff who made this trip the most eye opening opportunity of my life, the beginning of experiencing my dream career path!
The Clog Barn is a tourist attraction and caravan park in at least 300 acres of bushland, just outside of Coffs Harbour on the New South Wales central coast. The Dutch theme is continued with miniature windmills and railways out back, as well as demonstrations of clogging using traditional Dutch methods. It's open all year round, and if you're lucky you can watch a free demonstration of clogging.
Not only is this place an incredible miniature village, clog shop, tourist park and such, it is also just q beautiful place to do and have lunch.
The menu is Dutch themed, but the cafe itself and the lovely creek beside it make for an idyllic lunch spot. Would be hard to find a better lunch location.
I saw a Kookaburra and at least two water dragons. Amazing.
Ben — Google review
Well I have to say I expected a bigger premises. However it was great. Unfortunately we missed the demonstration of clog making , but the owner was very friendly . A little small , but that's the key when you see the model village outside . It's wonderful . There is even a little train that runs when you cross a white line. The detail in the models is incredible. Running water too and each model has a little inscription, detailing what it is or was. Worth the visit for that alone. Oh and do please make donation to help upkeep.

We had a lovely little stop over for a quick feed and to move our restless legs. Was lovely having a stroll through the back of the clog barn to see the detailed little homes. Good fun and was lovely to appreciate the hard work put in to the miniature model homes.

Visited this place on our stay at Coffs Harbour. We didn’t stay at the caravan park but did visit the out of world clog souvenir shop. The shop looked amazing with loads and loads of souvenir mainly clogs. They had wooden and soft wool clogs of different sizes, Colors and designs.
The Dutch model miniature village at the back of souvenir shop is a must place to visit in Coffs Harbour. The garden is well maintained and taken good care of. This attraction is free to visit.
Plenty of parking onsite with coffee house next to clog barn. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch and late afternoon tea here.

Stopped here for a lunch driving break in April 2024 and really enjoyed. Great little gift shop, feels like you are in Europe with all the cool tourist items including of course clogs. Each day clogs are made live too. The Clog Barn also has a cafe and miniature village, both fantastic too!
Kaptain Kerr — Google review
You visit here to snap a photo wearing the comically large clogs out the front, but that's about all. Maybe small children find the miniature village entertaining for about 10 minutes? The cafe food is adequate, the gift shop full of Chinese made souvenirs

We drove 3 hours to visit your gorgeous miniature village after seeing it advertised on the telly here on the Gold Coast during my days off and we were so glad we did! We loved the village with the gardens so beautifully maintained and the souvenir shop - a great outing and the staff were friendly and welcoming- unfortunately we couldn’t stay for a meal but when we popped our heads in the cafe, the food others were enjoying looked and smelled divine!
Easy access and plenty of parking Free entry to the quaint village!
Thank you for your warm welcome on our visit- I even bought 2 of my little Dutch Dolls along for a photo opportunity!! 😊😊😊 they loved it too!

I actually visit the cafe next door when travelling past as they do the best gluten free pancakes. Easy assess directly off the highway right in Coffs. They don’t have a phone unfortunately so you can’t order ahead but worth the stop. Coffee could have been better on the day. The Clog Barn is interesting with plenty of stock.

A must visit when in the area! We visited as on off chance as two backpackers on the road but ended up chatting to the owner for half an hour and got to watch a clog making demonstration and even received the clog he made! Village is free entry with a donation box at the end! Go and support this local family business to keep awesome places like this open

Well worth seeing this attraction. Especially the miniture Netherlands out the back. It's is beautiful and worthy of the donation they ask for. Then at 10am or 2pm they have a clog demonstration on how they were made and the grandkids loved it. They also loved the Dutch pancakes while we enjoyed coffee and a bite to eat as well. If you need a Dutch ornament this is the place to get it from. Enjoy 😊
Ivy Pahlke — Google review
We only stopped here to see the Dutch village, and wished we had stayed at the caravan park instead of the place we had stayed. The exquisite, free miniature village, the full size shop and coffee shop as well as the lush surroundings, birdlife and articles/food on offer, were all worth an extended visit, so we also enjoyed coffee and apple-pie on the deck overlooking the pond, before continuing our journey. Next time we are in the area we will make a point of staying at the caravan park as well.

We just passed by and had lunch at the cafe next door. And we found out they have a clog demonstration at 2pm on that day, so we stayed and waited to watch the demonstration.
It is pretty informative and gave us a brief idea how a clog is made.
Lots of interesting Holland products there to shop.
Also they have a miniature display at the back of the shop, remember to donate some money to support them!
Love this small local interesting business.

The clog barn is a great place to visit. You can see clogs being made, there are plenty of clogs to buy including clog slippers. Lots of Dutch souvenirs and out back is a miniature Dutch town to walk around. Great place.

We visited the Clog Barn in April and saw the tiny Dutch Village and a Clog Making demonstration. It was very interesting. Due to recent rain, the miniature railway wasn't running.
I can highly recommend the food at Big Oma's Coffeehouse! We went back 2 days in a row. Lovely location.

Nice little place to visit. The miniature buildings/ displayed out the back is really good. And being a lizard fan, the fact that they don’t seem to get upset about their water dragons visiting and sun baking and the models, is very cool…
Martin Brown — Google review
Miniature village was bigger than I thought (considering it's free admission). There are shrubs that kind of act as barrier so my toddler couldn't see all unless carried. She loved the working train set. There was no clog demo when we went. We had a massive pancake that was delicious and fluffy although I envy the waffles and pancakes stack other tables had ordered. Oh well next time

We recently stayed at The Clog Barn on our way home from the Sunshine Coast. Our cabin was really nice, had been recently renovated and represented really good value. We had dinner at the Greenhouse Tavern which is only a 3 min walk away, the food was nice and they had $5.50 schooners, winning. Loved the miniature Dutch village and railway and the clog shaped pool. They also have a cool gift shop where we bought a few things. Being car people, really liked the fact we could park the car right next to our cabin. Will definitely stay again. Cheers

Nice places to have a light lunch. Food fresh and tasty. Quick service and friendly. The miniature village is well worth a visit with descriptions on the buildings making it more informative and interesting. The shop has everything Dutch, with something for the novelty collectors. Enjoyed the visit.

This is a cool little place in Coffs- nice food and cafe but long wait times for food if they are busy.
Great pancakes. Great bacon and egg roll.
Highlight is the miniature village out the back that is free to look at. Very cool for kids!

Was worth a visit to this place. We only caught the very end of the demonstration but it was cool to see the freshly carved clog! The owner was very friendly and it certainly made the visit more enjoyable. The miniature village was cool to see. Not a huge amount to do there but certainly worth a visit! Thanks for having us!

The Cafe next door was full of goodies not usually found in Australia.
There is also a "tiny town" tucked away out the back of the clog barn. A must see!

FABULOUS , huge range of goods & pricesof, obiviously dutch products. There is a wonderful surprise dutch village model garden out the back , not to massive to get around, really enchanting with a small model train going around in 1 area.
Staff terrific, pity we hadn't time for the cafe.
Well worth a look see. 👍

We've always meant to stop off and see this attraction and finally got around to it today. Fascinating Dutch themed store featuring clogs and associated items you'd expect to find. We loved the little model town you can wander around at the rear of the store. Next door is a cafe, not the greatest coffee I've ever had, but the carrot cake is definitely worth trying, and the service is really lovely.

Awesome place to stop.on your way through Coffs Harbour. The miniature Dutch village is pretty cool with some delicious food options in the Cafe next-door. Make sure you time you visit around 10:00 or 2:00 so you can watch the clog making demonstration as it is surprisingly educational and a lot of fun. Definitely don't drive past this place, it's right on the main road through Coffs 😄

Such a hidden gem!! I've visited a few times (not staying overnight, just visiting) and absolutely love this place. Dutch souvenirs galore, the miniature replicas of famous Dutch buildings is SO well done (happy that they have the Martinitoren!!) and the fella that's been at the checkout each time is so friendly and always up for a chat. In the cafe they have a nice menu but they also have Dutch groceries!! We stock up on curry sauce and Pickwick tea each time we drive through Coffs. A little slice of Holland, love it!!

I had to comment on the rooms, but we didn't stay in the rooms, but on a camp-site. However, the amineties were spotless. Big kudos to the cleaners.
Restaurant was delicious and the little creek behind the restaurant had lots of live in it for entertainment. Shops at walking distance, beach and creeks minutes drive away with easy parking. We would stay again.

The Big Banana Fun Park is a quirky roadside attraction in Coffs Harbour, Australia that features amusement park rides, water parks, mini golf courses and laser tag. It's easily the most well-known tourist destination in the area and is known by both locals and international visitors alike.
Great place for family with little kids. It hasn’t change much since our last visit in 2018. Easy to walk around and if you are able to buy the unlimited pass, you will be able to try everything. The 4D theatre was amazing. The big slice was empty, it’s a shame because it was fun. The owners should consider an automatic escalator. My kids couldn’t go up to the top and carry their own mat. The mat is super heavy, I have two carry three mats all the way to the top and I was able to do it two times. I’m a fit person, but it was too much.

Very good fun park for both kids and adults.
You can easily spend the whole day there.
Toboggan is very popular. I would recommend getting there first in the morning. The queue is slow 🐌, so if the lane is long, you may spend a lot of time waiting. The ride itself is 5 minutes. We arrived right after opening, and 10-15 people queue took 20 minutes approximately.
Ice skating - amazing and not so busy. The ice is good. There is plenty of supports to use if you are not strong on ice.
The water slides are very popular as well. We went there last - before closing. 2 hours were more than enough. However, kids may want to stay for longer. Only 4 bags slides were operational.
All facilities were in good order and well maintained. There was plenty of parking, but during Easter, it was not enough.
Good food choices in the cafe.
The only thing to be aware of - they do not have drinking fountains, so we had to ask stuff to refill our drinking bottles.
Also, the park is basically a set of halls. You walk between them through the carpark. There is not so many walking paths. You share the road with the cars. So, be careful when you drive - there are plenty of people with kids on the road.

My visit to the Big Banana Fun Park in Coffs Harbour was nothing short of fantastic, earning it a well-deserved 5/5 rating. The standout feature for me was the incredible cafe, which surpassed expectations with its diverse menu and excellent choices. From savory delights to sweet treats, the menu catered to a wide range of tastes, ensuring there was something delightful for every palate.
A particular highlight was the banana-flavored ice cream – an absolute must-try for anyone visiting. The rich and authentic banana flavor made it a refreshing and delicious treat, perfectly aligning with the park's iconic theme. The quality of the food exceeded my expectations, and the variety showcased the culinary expertise of the cafe.
What sets this experience apart is the cafe's pet-friendly environment. Being able to enjoy a delightful meal with my furry companion by my side added an extra layer of joy to the visit. The Big Banana Fun Park's commitment to being pet-friendly reflects a thoughtful and inclusive approach, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.
Beyond the culinary delights, the entire fun park offers an array of exciting activities and attractions. The well-maintained facilities and friendly staff contribute to a positive overall experience. Whether you're seeking adventure or a relaxing day out, the Big Banana Fun Park delivers on all fronts.
In summary, the Big Banana Fun Park is a gem in Coffs Harbour, offering a perfect blend of delicious dining options, exciting attractions, and a pet-friendly atmosphere. My visit was thoroughly enjoyable, and I highly recommend this park to anyone looking for a memorable and fun-filled day in the heart of Coffs Harbour.

Good Lord there is so much to do we didn't realise. There are rides, arcade, ice skating, a cafe where u must buy a $15 banana split (yeah it's worth it, and ur hips will thank u if u share it) an opal shop, in store made rock candy that u can watch while they make... Then grab a $8 bag to remember them by & yes they have sugar free. Putt putt, giant slide. This is a whole family day out. It was approx $65 per person but that covers all 9 areas of rides & play areas.

Good place to visit if you are in Coffs Harbour. Nice little park for both adult and kids, but I think mainly kids. Even if you are not interested in those, you may have a fine time just having a nice snack and drink hearing the joyful laughs at the place. Overall, a good family place to come to. Highly recommend visiting.

I would think it's a fun place for families with kids. We 2 adults spent about 1.5 hours there for these 2 visits. If you are travelling in families with children, preferably maybe 6 onwards to 12, you can consider visiting this theme park.

This classic Coffs Harbour attraction has evolved since the time I was a kid and stopped here for dad to have a break on the trip north! Now the Big Banana Fun Park offers a range of attractions for the whole family. We opted for a three attraction pass that gave us almost 7 hours of entertainment! We chose ice skating, 4D cinema and the water park / laser tag (our family split up for the last activity). Each attraction took around an hour and a half and even though the park was packed it was well organised amongst the session times to ensure minimal wait times. Great value for the entertainment received and don't forget the gift shop and cafe (we took a walk down memory lane with a choc coated banana that certainly didn't disappoint 🍌!! Make sure you make the time to pop in either on the way or for a whole day of fun!!

Bought unlimited passes for my niece and nephew for Christmas and had a wonder day on Dec 28! Started with the Toboggans and Laser Tag, then we went ice skating and saw a 4-D movie. Lunch was easy to order from our table and service was way faster than I was expecting!!! It was a packed venue and we had fresh hot food in less than 10 minutes! Loved our banana smoothies! After lunch, went on a tour (very short but informative) while the kids played Mini Golf. Next we went to The Racer and had fun sliding. We finished our day doing the last Water Park slot from 3:30-5pm. Loved the 4 slides that were open, can’t wait to try the two new ones opening soon. I just wish there was sufficient air conditioning in the Laser Tag maze as it was super hot. Also The Racer didn’t seem to have any air conditioning and it was also super hot as well. Can’t wait to go back and see what else they add on and improve. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend to get there around 8:30 for the 9 am opening to get a good park!

The Big Banana in Coffs Harbour is an absolute must-visit destination! It’s not just a fun park; it’s a family-friendly haven for all ages. What makes it even better is the variety of price options to suit every budget, ensuring that everyone can join in on the fun.
I highly recommend purchasing the unlimited access pass for an unforgettable experience. With this pass, you can fully immerse yourself in all the attractions, and trust me, there’s something for everyone. The XD Theatre is a real highlight, offering mind-blowing 4D rides that had us on the edge of our seats. We couldn’t resist trying all of them!
For those who love a chilly adventure, the ice-skating rink is a fantastic addition. It’s open to skaters of all levels, making it a perfect family activity. And if you’re looking for an adrenaline rush, don’t miss the toboggan ride – it’s an absolute blast!
But that’s not all; the Big Banana offers even more entertainment with mini golf and laser tagging, adding a competitive edge to your visit. And for those who enjoy water activities, the water park is a fantastic option to cool off and have a splashing good time.
When you visit the Big Banana in Coffs Harbour, you’re in for more than just thrilling attractions; there’s also a wide array of food options available at the cafe to satisfy your appetite. The food quality is undeniably good, with a menu that caters to various tastes. However, it’s worth noting that the prices in the cafe are on the higher side.
Fortunately, the coffee served at the park is not only of high quality but also correctly priced, making it a refreshing and affordable choice to keep you energized throughout your day of adventure.
Before you leave, make sure to explore the well-stocked souvenir shop on the premises. While the prices here may range from moderate to high, you’ll find a diverse selection of mementos to remember your Big Banana experience.
So, while the food prices at the cafe may be a bit steep, the overall experience at the Big Banana remains a fantastic one. With excellent coffee, thrilling attractions, and a souvenir shop for keepsakes, it’s still an unforgettable destination for family fun in Coffs Harbour.

The Forest Sky Pier is a lookout point extending from Sealy Lookout, providing sweeping views of the mountains and coast. It's one of the best vantage points to take in Coffs Harbour and it's also free to visit.
I had an awesome visit to Sealy Lookout. It has quickly become one of my favorites places. It is worth the drive. Has an amazing little Cafe. The views are surrounding rainforest enough to lift ones spirits and set one up for an awesome day or night. Whichever the case may be.
I would like to add there is no camping and the gates are locked at 5 pm

Great views along the coast, as well as a birds-eye view of the tree ferns, toilets were clean. Depending on the season there’s a high chance of picking up some local bananas from one of the road side stalls up the range. Overall a good place for a pit stop if you’re road-tripping.

Took us 3 attempts before we got to the pier without it being head and shoulders in the clouds, but the view was worth the repeat visits. The area is well cared for and the small cafe and covered seating areas make it a good picnic spot. The car park is not large, but adequate as most people only stay long enough to take a selfie. There is a short forest walk out the back of the car park. Well worth the visit, but checkout the weather before heading up. There are a couple of drop toilets.

Stunning drive up. Suitable for caravans up the steep mountain. Be mindful of the road is narrow. Once at the top, it's absolutely beautiful. Went on an overcast, wet and rainy day, so will plan to come back. The view would be amazing on a clear day. A small indigenous run cafe near the pier, was closed when we arrived.

Amazing views worth a stop off if you are coming through and stopping at the big banana. The bridge is a little wobbly and not for those scared of heights as you are as high as the tree tops here!!! Also there's a tree top climbing challenge here for those who are physically fit. Also cafe up top too.

You can see far away if the sky is clear!

Great and quite pretty pier to get beautiful views. It's a rather short stop just to enjoy the panorama. Definitely worth to stop if you're passing that place on your way.

Forest sky pier is only few minutes away from Big banana. The road to big banana is bit narrow and have to climb the hill. On the way we saw lots of banana plantations.
The sky pier is free to enter. The best place to see the Coffs Harbour. This attraction has shade and seating arrangements for picnic and is equipped with toilets too.

Amazing little lookout with veiws for miles across all of Coffs, just 6 klms off the main highway up a winding road. Plenty of seating both under cover and outside for a picnic and an awesome little Cafe with an assortment of snacks and delicious coffee 😋 Definitely worth the detour on your way out of Coffs Harbour

Love this place and it’s few walking tracks, had another lovely walk down to the lookout with the large Sandy Area at the bottom. Even on a cloudy day we could see lots of beauty.
Love all the old trees, great place to take the kids and be out in nature.

Nice lookout of the city, heaps of parking. Don’t worry if the pictures make it look like a long walk, about 30secs or a minute with a photoshop.

Well worth the detour, beautiful drive up the mountain where you can buy avocados and bananas when in season from the local farmers
Beautiful, sweeping views of Coffs Harbour and beyond
Beautiful green park with a creek & fountain & a play ground. With lots of trees & grass & shade & tables & ducks.
My favourite place to chill on a picnic rug in Grafton.

Well worth the visit.

Love see park! Best place to go with family and friends. There’s a cute playground for the kids, a barbecue area to sit and have lunch. a nice river/pond where all the ducks go to swim. The ducks are super friendly and will waddle over in hopes that someone will give them bread. plenty of benches to sit and listen to the rushing water or watch the fountain that comes up out of the water. There is also a geocaching area there… still haven’t found it myself but still a great amount of fun trying. There’s also a little bridge you can walk across and peer over the water. I personally love the lizards that come to sunbathe but don’t worry they are more scared of us than we are of them so they will scatter off if you ever go near them. Overall a great place.

Visited See Park end of October 2019 when jacaranda trees are blooming. A great family picnic location. Nice walk around the park. On a beautiful sunny day, you might even get to see 4 legged friends aka goanna lizards sunbaking. You can find some great photo spots within the park and nearby roads.
I love visiting Grafton between mid October to early November as the town turns people with beautiful blossoming jacaranda everywhere.

A very nice park with some potential to be better. The playground was burnt down a long time ago and rebuilt from the ground up to be much better! A great place for the kids, for the adults to hang out and for anyone to relax near the water.

What a beautiful and quant little park! Well designed and it even has a nice little playground for the kids. It's a wonderful place to take some photos of the Jacaranda trees with the kids!
Great place for brunch. While the place was busy, staff were efficient and friendly. Loved the coffee and the Eggs Benedict was very tasty. All round great experience for weary travellers going from Melb to BNE.

Have been here twice. Brilliant coffee and amazing bacon and egg rolls.
This time around tried a chai latte and the eggs Benedict. Poached eggs were done perfectly, salmon was light and fresh and sauce was out of this world!
Reasonably priced and service was fantastic.
Even got to taste their batch drip brew that they have experimented with.
Will definitely return.

Great local place. We stopped here for a breakfast on our way to Brisbane and were surprised by the quality of the food and service. The coffee was also great with a perfect proportion of coffee and milk to our taste, and the meals were also tasty and fresh. Better than all was the great service from the waiting staff who were very polite and friendly.

"Of all the random places you can stop along the highway, I'm glad we stopped here". We were very impressed by the food quality, each bite left us wanting more, but the meals did not leave us wanting! Tasty and reasonably healthy options. The service was wonderful, and the waitress was able to give great recommendations. The bathrooms were clean and cared for, and had a change table for changing bub. We loved the vibe, and found the glass room (roasting room/tasting room maybe?) very interesting to look at. The coffee is worth noting as it's house roasted- very very enjoyable. Watch out ONA!

Looking for a cafe that roasts its own beans, look no further than Botero in Maclean. The town is a stunning location on the banks of the Clarence river which is Australia’s most Scottish town. The Botero Cafe serves up the most delicious coffee and food, and much you can have indoors or outdoors. Although inside, you can see the roasting process through huge glass windows as well.

I'll never travel to the Gold Coast without this trip planner again
When I was in Ballina, I spent a lot of time lost, because they don't seem to have enough street signs..so the day before I left I thought, I would go to the information centre and get a map of the town, it was a little bit to late, I know. The lady that served me was very nice and what a lovely building.. thanks so much....👋👋

The best visitors centre i have ever been attended, in my extensive travels. The staff are extremely courteous and friendly, nothing is a trouble. The presentation ,quality and variety of product is extremely well showcased and reasonably priced . In my opinion , the Ballina Visitor centre should train Visitor Centres how Visitors Centres should be presented and run, including customer service. I have never been to Ballina previously, however it is my new favourite destination, due to attending the visitors centre. I was more than impressed with the comprehensive information visitors guide . Congratulations to all involved. NB I will be back.

Built in 1989, this beloved, 9m-high prawn sculpture is a popular spot for roadside selfies.

So evidently Australia has a fascination with "Big Things". I am told they are placed sporadically all over the country. So, being American and one that loves to get involved with the culture, I was excited to see the "big prawn" that I had heard so much about. It is inside the Bunnings car park so it's not where you would expect to find it but it was cool nonetheless. If you are interested in this type of thing then I say, "you have to see it!"
Pam Kidd — Google review
How can you go past one of Australia’s “BIG” things?
Just a big prawn. Take your photos. Free parking. In and out in 5 minutes.
Only rated 4 stars as other BIG things often have a gift shop or snack shop nearby.
Adam Zed — Google review
Now I've seen it
The Big Prawn ... looks so out of place , where this Ballina tourist attraction , still stands
From what I've learnt from a local ... the Big Prawn use to have a Tourist Information building on sight
Now only the Big Prawn stands & the adjacent land is a Bunnings Hardware store
Australian Traveler — Google review
High expectations that delivered!
Important to note this isn’t a real prawn it’s actually a novelty oversized attraction.
When visiting park in to auto barn car park to avoid the hustle and bustle of Bunnings.
Visit on a weekend and grab a Bunno snag with the visit.
Would travel out of my way to see again with the kids
View : 1/10

It's something you need to tick off your list I'd your near Ballina. You can see it from a mile away and was built in 1989. I've seen this over the years since a kid and still brings a smile to your face. A good one to show the kids!!!
Troy Simons — Google review
The Bunnings car park entry makes this easy to find parking, but super difficult to access and get a decent photo if you're stopping to do the tourist thing. People absolutely fly into the carpark, and do not look for people crossing to get to the attraction and there is no pedestrian crossing to get to it from the carpark.
Melissa Sparks — Google review
Loved seeing the big prawn as a kid & happy to see it is still alive at the bunnings entrance. It has a good colour & looks healthy & delicious.

No adventure to Northern NSW is complete without a family photo at the giant prawn. Also the site of a geocache.
Gavin Rudling — Google review
Much bigger than expected. You see it along the main road as you go over a crest, and it just keeps getting bigger as you approach. There was a vacant block that you can drive into to get underneath it for great photos, avoiding the Bunnings carpark mayhem on the other side of the fence.
Quote from my kid “it’s a giant croissant with an head and arms”!
Vin Ch — Google review
I love that we still have BIG things in Australia! Thanks Bunnings for restoring it.
Jillian Newton — Google review
Don't know what else to expect it's a prawn, and it's BIG. Plenty of parking because of the Bunnings.

The Big Prawn used to be part of the service centre many years ago, now it's just a monument at the entrance to Bunnings.
Still nice to see, but nothing overly special.
Still look good.

Certainly the best of the big sculptures making your way up the Eaat Coast - shame its out the front of a Bunnings
Daniel Rogers — Google review
The name basically says it all. If you like looking at big prawns then this is the place for you! I saw another big prawn in Exmouth WA, but this one is way bigger. My only criticism is the site location being just the corner of a Bunnings carpark. A prawn of this magnitude deserves a loftier site.
Henry Elias — Google review

Fun place for the kids to play in Heritage Park beside the Visitor Information Centre, fully fenced with quite a few bbq areas Only Bad point is No toilets close to play area . Scenic stop overlooking Minyon Falls & the rainforest, also offering walking paths & picnic areas.
It’s a really nice place to have a swim or just take a few photos. Not really disability friendly but you feel like you deserve a swim after the rocks and boulders. There are two entries, one with more parking but gravel road and one with less parking but fully paved and has access to bathrooms and seating areas.

It is a beautiful fall but you should adjust the expectations if going just for the lookout. I enjoyed the drive (through Nightcap Range Rd) a lot more than this end point :)
Most of the picnic area was closed and the best way to enjoy it was to go for the button if fall track which needs several hours and properly planning a full day.
Ali Akbari — Google review
Hard to find there are no signs to help guide you. Take a map and hopefully you can also find it on your gps. Roads as you get closer get narrow and a very short section was rough dirt. Nice picnic area with good drop toilets. Short sealed path to the lookout is wheel chair accessible. Waterfall loop track closed because of land slip. The drive up is nice from the coast so take your time.

Amazing waterfall! Visited just after heavy rains/during some light rains, so water flow was spectacular! I went on a walk to the base fall from the Grasslands picnic area. Was a bit tricky at the bottom to find the path through the rocks to get to the base, and due to the rain the rocks were incredibly slippery so didn’t go super close but still had a wonderful experience! Beware of the leeches by the rocks however haha!
Ingrid SH — Google review
The facilities here are amazing, looks brand new with lots of places to have a picnic and brand new toilets. The only problem is the view of the falls isn’t that great. You are much better going to the grass area 1.6km away for the best view.

Tables n chairs, carpark n Short walk to viewing deck. No water so no falls. 100m drop or so . Be good when falls in motion.
Michael Brent — Google review
The waterfall is breathtaking, boasting an impressive drop of almost 100 meters. However, the current viewing point fails to capture its true beauty. Positioned at the top of the falls, the viewing area allows one to appreciate its height, but lacks a frontal perspective to truly admire its splendor. It's suggested that the authorities consider adding a viewing location in front of the falls to showcase its beauty adequately. Despite this, the falls remain mesmerizing. There's a challenging 5-hour return trail leading to the base of the falls, which we unfortunately couldn't undertake due to time constraints. It would have been wonderful to experience it firsthand.
Anuj H — Google review
Great little hike. Can get very slippery on the way to the water if been recently raining. Don't recommend wearing thongs like we did...

A very pleasant trip up the mountain to the car park. Lots of parking in the two or three car parks. Several large picnic tables under cover. The toilet amenities are new and very clean. Short walk to and from the falls. Great short day trip or add the walks to fill in a complete day

Cool place. Easy access for wheelchairs for the first kms. You’ll be able to see the waterfall. Careful with the leeches, one bit me 😢

Beautiful spot to launch from to enter the many bush walking trails on offer. Excellent clean facilities, including picnic tables, toilets, BBQ space, and interpretive and informative signage. Not to mention the fantastic wheel chair friendly conctrete path that winds throughout the area, including the lookout over Minyon Falls. The lookout itself it spacious, clean, and well maintained by the parks team.
Adam May — Google review
The pictures don't this waterfall justice as the viewing platform is quite high (rightly so, for everyone's safety) and blocks the camera from taking good photos.
There are parts at the top of the fall where you can walk in the water... another part where you drive your car through the waterfall's top.
You can hike to the base of the waterfall but it's 5-6km and quite steep
Yahya Zuhair — Google review
Beautiful waterfall near Byron Bay / Brunswick Heads. The walking trail from the top of the falls down to the base takes around an hour and a half to complete. Coming back up may take a little longer.

Such a great spot to look at the falls and take in the view of the area. Nice drive through the national park to get to the lookout, and once you're there it's a short walk to the lookout which is right at the top of the falls, very close to the edge. Very strong and stable platform for the lookout though so don't stress!

The Lookout captivates with breathtaking views of cascading water, blending the soothing sound of rushing falls with stunning landscapes. The Farm Byron Bay is a picturesque 32-hectare green oasis located just outside of Byron. It is a working farm, plant nursery and sustainable market garden that features tours, an onsite restaurant and bakery. The community of growers and producers who share this space with the Three Blue Ducks restaurant, produce store, ice-creamery and florist are dedicated to traditional and sustainable practices both as an ethos and educational mission.
Great food, Great service, nice people. It's a very lovely place to go with family or friends. The atmosphere is lovely and you can see different animals and little organic shops. Perfect for brunch. You will not be disappointed.
The only downside for me was I have waited a long time to see the highlander cows. Every time I have gone I have not been able to see any 😭 Wish they were more available to see. However, from my understanding it's a working farm and you may have to book a farm tour to see them.

Nice, rustic experience. Just be aware the Cafe and restaurant areas are separate operations so if you think you can enjoy a coffee in the restaurant area you can't. Coffee is only on front deck and inside main serving area. It's a good family venue with additional areas for kids to run around. Highly recommended.

Awesome vibe, tasty food and fun for everyone. We had some great coffees and delicious (although a bit pricey) bakery treats, followed by a walk through the beautiful farm to finish. The gift shop / cafe has a bunch of cool things you can purchase. Would definitely recommend a visit, although note it will be super busy!

Lovely place to visit. Enjoy a short walk around & see all the animals, have some fresh macadamian nuts under the trees.
Enjoy meal at the three ducks cafe or get takeaway & enjoy it under the trees.
Mistake, many people did: wearing white shoes, this is after all a farm, so prepare to get mud on your shoes.
Will definitely go back.

Great idea and nice atmosphere for a cafe/restaurant. Good quality to price was much less than my expectation but overall experience would compensate for that.
Consider booking in advance. Could be very crowded at times. Heads up for the holiday surcharge. Definitely enjoy the walk and explore around, otherwise, it might not be worth it as a quick bite option!

Bakery goods and coffee are 100% on point! Also awesome that they let us use our own travel mugs. Love that it’s close to the free way - makes a convenient break when travelling between states and the kids had a lovely time in the park. Only draw back is that it’s busy and crowded, the price of being brilliant… actually speaking of price it was more expensive than a servo break but damn the food was good.

Hmmm Not an easy place to review. I stopped here twice on my way to and back from Port Macquarie. It’s conveniently located close to the Pacific Highway and only 1 hr and 40 minutes (150 km) from Brisbane.
Several options for shopping or food and drink are on offer. Worms and seedlings for example. Yet another is focussed on dairy. There’s a bread and pastry counter and also a coffee stop. Tons of beer and wine from the tap to enjoy in the garden or table service in the restaurant.
It’s just not pushing any of my buttons. None of the wines or beers tickle my fancy, neither does the menu. The herb gardens don’t come close to my old ones when I lived on property. And the colonial metaphor is an acquired taste. Tin plates and so on. I’m not sure if that matches the price tag. It all borders to a commercial touristy formula with the prime aim to make money. And then the birds feasting on the scraps left behind on the garden tables…..
That being said, many may simply love this experience. It certainly is great to have a place to restore (restaur-ant) along the Pacific Highway.

Love visiting. Lots of animals that we were lucky to feed with the workers, a lot of fresh produce and a great restaurant. We walked along the farm, cracked open macadamia nuts and there was lots of space for kids to run and play. There's also a florist, small playground and gelato stand. Love our visits!

An absolute must visit if you are in Byron Bay. We had a lovely lunch and walk around the farm. All the produce is organic. Every dish was superb and the produce shop had a wide selection of pastries, pantry staples and fancy fresh meats and cheeses.

A great way to start the day! They open early & there is a lovely bakery that does excellent food and amazing coffee. My toddler loved the pigs, sheep and playground. Note: there are some electric fences around the place, so taking a pram for the faster tiny humans would be recommended. Very close to Byron Bay Beach, which we did after our visit to The Farm.

Great place, beautiful surroundings and such delicious food. You can walk around the property and pick macadamias in the nut orchard. Nice place to spend a Sunday!

Beautiful place for families to go for a day out , learn about where your food comes from. Until you see the cute piggies and chickens , almost makes you go vegan haha but amazing place, and really nice restaurant

A beautiful working farm, dog friendly and a great experience for all ages. There's a playground for kids, restaurant, produce store, gelato bar, Cafe, and picnic areas scattered around the farm. We ate fresh macadamia nuts that had fallen off the trees and managed to get the hard shell open. Farms animals in different locations, pigs, cows, sheep, horses and hens. Even lots of ibis birds perched on the french. The restaurant is supplied with the vegetables and produce growing.

An excellent place to stop for breakfast before visiting Byron Bay. But be early, it might be very crowded. They have super food and the gift shop is fantastic too. We highly recommend this place.

The Farm offers a great day out for the entire family. There's plenty to do and see even for little people. Our lunch was generous and delicious as were our afternoon pastries.

Love this place! Good restaurant, very friendly staff, lots of things to do for you to explore. I think I can spend more than half day here. We came at the macadamia season, the whole area can smell the macadamia and they are all on the ground!
It is a different experience to see all the cute animals running around!
Will visit again!!

Such a lovely place. We came here for a birthday lunch. Delicious food from the garden, live band, lovely service. The space is big and there's a variety of seating. Love the details of the place.
Finished with an afterlunch walk on the property.

It is a massive establishment with both dine-in and takeout options. We did both during our stay at Byron. The place has an excellent vibe for every age. Plenty of space for kids to run around, and also large and open enough with lots of outdoor tables that the oldies can talk and hear each other. Coffee, Portuguese Tarts and Bloody Mary’s were the hot takes from our group!
Byron Bay is a well-known coastal town located in the southeastern region of New South Wales, Australia. It is a popular destination among tourists due to its pristine beaches and world-class surfing and scuba diving sites. The Cape Byron State Conservation Park, situated on a headland with a lighthouse, provides spectacular views for whale watching during the months of June to November.
Most popular city on this route
12 minutes off the main route, 76% of way to the Gold Coast
The Cape Byron Lighthouse Cafe is a great spot to enjoy stunning views of the bay and dolphins and whales below. The cafe also has a menu of croissants, toasties, cakes and drinks. It's busiest on the weekends, but midweek is quieter so it's better to visit if possible.
Cape Byron Lighthouse Cafe .. is a good recovery spot .. after exploring the Cape Byron Lighthouse & the beautiful Cape Byron State Conservation Area

Pathetic staff. I simply asked for some 50 ml of hot water from the coffee machine to make baby food. They denied it like I asked for free food. I was even happy to pay for it for any extra charge. Very arrogant staff and lowest level of customer experience. You should not work at a cafe that runs due to the tourists if you have so much arrogance. The cafe wasn't busy at all, I was the only customer at the counter and the staff were busy playing in their phones. Denying a customer at a restaurant is nothing but a downfall of any business. I wish them a good luck with this attitude.

Absolutely beautiful! The food was delicious and the coffee was AMAZING. seriously the best coffee in Byron bay and such a reasonable price. The manager Sian and her sister are absolutely beautiful and so kind. Love that they are a family ran business and locals! Their sister cafe is also The Pass Cafe which I can not wait to try. 1000/10 the best cafe!

Good coffee. Delicious carrot cake. Views are average... there are much better views from the lighthouse and the track down to the lookouts, and further down to the rocks and beach.

Best coffee and food! The staff were beautiful and such good quality! A small takeaway only cafe that is perfect to stop at while on your journey at the lighthouse
My Partner and I got a bacon and egg roll which was such a good price for what was in it and also the smoked salmon which was divine! 100% would recommend this cafe every day

It’s a beautiful café with lovely staff.
You can have everything takeaway and enjoy the best coffee with an amazing view. Sometimes you have the chance to spot whales or dolphins.

The person making coffee today was very rude and impatient. After buying a one-liter bottle of water, I approached to ask for four cups for our group to use with the water. However, she didn't take the time to understand my request and abruptly directed me to go to the front counter in a rude manner. Later, when I went to pay for two $1 cups, the cashier had small cups that were free, but for some reason, the barista removed them and gave me coffee
cups instead. My question is, if we're buying water and other items, why sell me cups when there was an option for free cups? I feel like this wasn't handled in good faith.

The views from this lighthouse are definitely worth the 8 dollars we paid for parking. You get a full 360° of amazing scenery and there is a lovely little hill walk too. The coffee shop is delightful too! They do fresh gelato ice cream which is exactly what you need to cool down after the walk.

The redeeming feature of this cafe is the spectacular views! The coffee, latte and scone were mediocre. The staff were friendly and the service was prompt.
The car park attendant was quite rude and officious. It would be good for the frontline person to be friendly and welcoming.

We did the Cape Byron Lighthouse hike from the main beach all the way around. Very well paved and easy to access. Stunning views. Also, you are able to drive to the lighthouse and then park. Parking is tight so just be aware you’ll have to be patient if there isn’t a spot.

Popped in for a quick snack and beverage when viewing the lighthouse. Surprisingly…. Wasn’t expensive, had great food and the view is just sensational!
Strong recommend from me!!!
The Cape Byron Walking Track is a popular hiking route with picturesque ocean vistas, wildlife sightings, and picnic areas. The trail takes visitors on a moderate walk that even young children can enjoy, starting from the Clarkes Beach parking lot and heading left towards Palm Beach and Wategos Beach. From there, hikers ascend the headland to take in breathtaking panoramic views from east to west before reaching the lighthouse.
Absolutely fabulous walk, cannot more heartedly recommend! Please walk from the start all the way around to the lighthouse, such a beautiful landscape.
Extra benefit is you walk past the most eastern point in Australia.
Strong recommend from me!
Michael McRoberts — Google review
Very nice view and walk to the most easterly point of the Australian mainland. Two stars less because of the overpriced parking fees around. If you park at the top you will be charged 10 AUD per vehicle.
Debby S — Google review
Amazing views, medium walk but even our youngest made the walk. Fully recommend parking at the bottom near Clarkes Beach head left and around Palm Beach into Wategos Beach then up the headland to amazing panoramic views East to West before heading to the lighthouse. Walk back through the conservation area for another unique view, shade and steps back down to the car park again.
Andrew Cockburn — Google review
We parked at the bottom end of this track and went uphill to the Most Easterly Point Lookout, from there we saw whales and dolphins. We then continued up to the lighthouse for a view of Byron Bay and more ocean views. After a short visit to the gift shop, we headed back down as our 1 hour parking expired.
Brian L — Google review
Very nice walk, uphill but not too difficult. Many spots for lookouts and photos. We spotted sea turtles, a group of dolphins and whales. Small museum in the lighthouse but apparently tours only in morning time. Parking is 6$ an hour on the beach. You need 2 hours.

Great walking track from the lookout to the light house along the edge. The views are spectacular. During the season, easily spot many whales as you walk along.

We parked at wategos on Marine parade.. Was $5 an hour with max of 4 hours but if you do 4hours only $15. Walked from there along Beach walkway and continued on to the Cape Byron Walking track up to the light house. We walked from here up and looked over the other side (you can do a loop) but we came back the same way so we could do little wategos track out to cape byron lookout on the way back. Once we got back went for swim at wategos and chilled til our parking time run out..
If this was helpful give me a thumbs up 👍

A nice beach walk to the rocks at the end of the Cape - but it does require a little rock climbing if within an hour or so of high tide.
Museum with a range of art exhibitions plus the art of Margaret Olley & a recreation of her studio.
Well worth the visit, especially for the lovingly reconstruction of Margaret Olley's home/studio. The art installations are well presented and interesting. The cafe/restaurant was very good. Highly recommend.

I am not a Margaret Olley fan, however, I seem to find myself at her exhibitions and loving them. May have to just give in and own it.
This gallery has treated the artist's work and life with such deep respect, you can't help but be awestruck. The recreation of the artist's living space results in endless time spent finding details and items that clearly meant the world to her. It is an intimate view into the solace and safety of a well loved home.
The rest of the gallery is small, well curated and a joy to walk around. There is a variety of art forms and each are well displayed and lit.
The restaurant serves beautiful coffee and pastries. We didn't eat a meal, however, they looked and smelled wonderful.
The team members are friendly, engaging and knowledgeable.
I highly recommend it.

Tweed Regional Gallery is always fabulous, so many great exhibitions are on. The relocated home of Margaret Olley is an ultimate gift of inspiration for everyone to enjoy, a great spot to relax on a rainy day. But also great for artists on a clear day... you can view Mt. Warning, too.

This is an oasis. A well planned and laid out gallery with a wonderful vista over the Tweed and surrounding countryside. The cafe is great and our food and coffee well worth a decision to drive there and eat first and then visit the gallery. In such a small gallery it’s great to see such a good range of art, local or otherwise. The shop is small and well stocked with cards, ceramics, jewellery and books.
All the staff were professional and very helpful.
A great visit. Thank you.

A most wonderful place to experience the historical past of Margaret Ollie. A Regional Art Gallery built with great passion and expertise. On land where Doug Anthony grew up and watched the River and the Mountains. A mystical place with a majestic present that for tens of millennia has been home to Australia's First Nations Peoples.
The Gallery has an exquisitely good restaurant and facilities.
Certainly a bucket list item of places to explore and hold in your memory.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Tweed Regional Gallery and Margaret Olley Art Centre. The primary reason for our visit was to see Margaret Olley's artworks and her recreated rooms, and they did not disappoint. But this modern gallery is so much more. I would recommend a guided tour first, and then take the time to investigate on your own. There is a lovely restaurant in the building with beautiful views across the countryside.

Great collection of Australian artists, most notably Margaret Olley and her still life paintings. The recreation of her home was well done too. Luckily there is also a Claude Monet painting there too! Lovely cafe to sit and take in the scenery whilst indulging in local fare. Great day out!

I've been wanting to visit 'Margaret Olley's' home, which has been transported to the gallery, for quite a while. I had no idea that this wonderful woman was a hoarder and because of this her life was filled with many gems from flowers and statues to ewers and vases. Of course many of these things that she couldn't bare to part will be remembered forever as they became part of arrangements in her still life paintings.

This gallery has a beautiful scenic outlook, perfectly positioned to take advantage of landscape, Tweed River and Mt Warning. There are seasonal exhibitions, but best of all, it is the Margaret Olley artwork and recreation of Margaret's 'art studios' - her home. The restaurant cafe takes in the view and offers good food and great service. Try the Lemon Myrtle cheesecake - yum.

Modest in size, but very high quality exhibitions. Margaret Olley work bequeathed to the gallery is exceptional. Located in the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area, Springbrook National Park has a waterfall and magical underground glow worm cave which lights up at night. The park is also home to a colony of frogs and koalas. Short trails offer visitors views of the natural bridge, waterfall, and cave.
An absolute must visit if you are on the Gold Coast. A relatively easy walk on a sealed path. There are amenities which a couple of picnic tables. Adequate car parking with access on a sealed road.
Take your time on the walk and you may see some of the local wildlife.
The falls a beautiful from above and below and also from within the cave. The cave is home to glow worms but we didn't see any although there were quite a few bats.

From the parking lot we entered the trail and made our way down to the waterfall. In the cave you will find some bats and there are eels in the basen you can see then swimming around! It is a short hike and will only take you 30 mins to get there and back.

The combination of accessibility, natural beauty, and unique features like the glow worms makes this a highly recommended destination for all.

Nice but short. The area was well kept and provided some premium public facilities. The walk was nice, but very short. I went super early in the morning to dodge the crowd. Natural Bridge was a little bit under whelming, however I could imagine it would be quite impressive in the wet season. Definitely a few good photo opportunities for budding photographers

The best place I've visited in the recent times. I've been there in the afternoon and it was the best time to visit and I loved the greenery there as it rained the previous day and it looked more greener. The trek till the last was amazing and the walk through the woods was so so good and it is a lovely thing for nature lovers and walkers. There was a small waterfall flowing through it with a small cave. The path was beautifully constructed without causing any damage to the nature.
There was even a cafe food truck at the entrance and the coffee there was amazing.

Absolutely stunning during the day lots of water flowing sounded great. Wish we were allowed to swim hahah but if you come during the night you get to see the awesome glow worms. PLEASE DONT LET YOUR KIDS HAVE TORCHES BECAUSE THEY WILL SHINE LIGHT ON THEM. It's harmful and ruins the experience for everyone else.

Absolutely gorgeous place! Not that long of a walk but plenty to see. You get to see the view of the waterfall from both top and bottom. And even go inside the cave. At night time there are glow worms and bats. Didn’t get a chance to see them but is on the list next time we visit. Has plenty of parking spots and there’s even toilets before you start your walk. Signage said that there are often snakes and bush turkeys. we enjoyed the experience, however heaps of tourists that spent a lot of time in the road taking photos so you will have to be patient or go super early when there’s fewer people.

This is a great little walk through some beautiful rainforest and creek scenery. Natural bridge itself is a very photogenic volcanic feature created by the flowing stream that has shaped the area. Enchanting Experience at Natural Bridge - Home to Glow-Worms and Beyond
I recently visited Natural Bridge, and the experience surpassed all expectations. The lush rainforest setting creates a magical atmosphere, and the highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the glow-worms. Witnessing these bioluminescent creatures illuminating the cave walls was a mesmerizing and otherworldly encounter.
The delicate ecosystem, adding depth to the overall experience. The knowledgeable guides shared fascinating facts about the flora and fauna, making the journey not only visually stunning but also intellectually enriching.
The attention to conservation efforts is commendable. The responsible management ensures minimal impact on the environment, allowing visitors to appreciate the beauty of Nature while preserving it for future generations.
Aside from the glow-worms, the Natural Bridge offered a variety of walking trails, each unveiling unique facets of the rainforest. The well-maintained paths and informative signage make exploring the area both enjoyable and educational.
The facilities, including clean restrooms and well-placed seating areas, contributed to a comfortable visit. The site's commitment to accessibility is noteworthy, making it inclusive for all visitors.
In conclusion, Natural Bridge is a gem nestled in the heart of nature. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a photographer, or someone seeking a serene escape, this destination offers a perfect blend of beauty and biodiversity. It's an experience that lingers in memory, leaving you with a profound appreciation for the wonders of the natural world. Highly recommended!

There's not any picnic spots at the Falls itself. We didn't see any tables.
But it's a beautiful easy enough walk for able bodied people.
I saw lots of younger kids on this walk. It was quite busy.
We saw bats. And Pademelons.
The moss was very cool.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! This was a very easy, short walk. Took approx 15 mins to get to it from the parking lot. It smells like heaven (as do all our national parks) and the falls just look like a piece of magic taken out of a fairytale.

This waterfall near the Gold Coast is one of the best in the area. You can venture into a cave beneath the falls and even walk behind the cascading water. Being close to the water, you'll feel its powerful force. Additionally, the hike to the falls isn't too challenging, making the experience truly remarkable.

So good easy hike around the circuit and the views were excellent loads to see along the way. There was miniature mushrooms, fungi , caves views and awesome water falling. We even saw a python drinking water wow.
Purling Brook Falls is a nature reserve located in the Springbrook National Park, about 50 minutes drive from Surfers Paradise. It is one of the few locations on this list where you will need your own car to reach it. The park features beautiful falls, eucalypt forest, suspension bridge, lookouts and superb Purligbrook Falls. There are several tracks through the park including a popular hiking track that visits Purling Brook Falls.
Had great weather to explore this amazing Waterfall. The stairs can be a challenge if you are not ready for them but completely worth the effort.
Looking up at the Purling Brook Falls from the bottom is just breath-taking, there was even people swimming in the bottom of the falls. We did not take our swimmers.
Take comfy shoes and plenty of water and enjoy the views.

Highly recommend this hike. As someone who grew up locally, Purling Brook falls is honestly one of the harder hikes to do in terms of reaching the waterfall base, but it's worth the trip.
The trail meanders through stunning nature, allowing you to take in the diverse native subtropical flora and maybe even a sighting of a few birds, blue tongue lizards or land mullets!
You get gorgeous views over the range and there's periodic watering holes filled with fresh, cool mountain water to keep you feeling comfortable on your trek.
I'd highly recommend this hike for anyone looking at experiencing quintessential Gold Coast Hinterland natural beauty.

This was one of the best tracks that we have done so far. It’s about 4km return and takes around 2hours to get to the circuit. But totally worth it for the spectacular view down there.

Mixed bag, really.
We walked to waterfall, coming back other way.
Total distance ~ 9.5 km
Dislikes:
Some work going on nearby, noise of saws and putrid exhaust fumes present on trail.
You may feel unsafe in quite few spots - narrow trail, no barriers from sharp falling terrain. I definitely don't advise taking young kids with you.
Some stone steps rather difficult to negotiate, no hand rails, steep.
Tripping hazards all the way, plenty of palm seeds in places, making it easy to sleep, too.
And... public toilet near carpark in really bad shape, putrid smell around it so bad, we actually moved our car away 🥴

Glorious views, beautiful natural spot - we don't regret driving there from Brisbane, quite an experience.
People in nearby cafe really friendly, great coffee.
Overall - not for kids or seniors, we are in late 60s and our old joints took a beating 🤪 but we are glad we could see it.

We stumbled across this spectacular location today, after visiting the Natural Arch. I've seen some falls, and vista's in my time, but this place beats them all. If the view of the falls isn't enough, the valley's expance across ancient forest is mind blowing... we didn't walk the 2 hr loop track, only cheating to glimpse the falls, but have vowed to return one day to complete the trip.

This place was amazing.. we got there about 10.15am and we were still able to get a park easily and everything is well signed and you can get a beautiful view of the Falls from the top almost immediately and then it was an easy hike down to the bottom and we spent quite awhile there.. it was magic. Then another pretty easy hike back up the other side (45 minutes total walking time) there is a sign at the beginning that tells you to walk clockwise otherwise you will have like 400+ stairs to walk up on the way out 😳 but honestly can't think of anything bad... they had toilets and heaps of picnic tables/ BBQs and grassy spots to sit or play. We had a fantastic day 😀

The most magnetic waterfall I have seen so far. There are trees on the path which I would estimate to be 40+ meters tall and hundreds of years old.
Two main tracks, a 2 hour and a 6 hour loop. Very well maintained, signed and almost fully paved by rocks.
There are toilets at the trail heads and some picnic seats and spots. Plenty of parking if you're early.

Even though we came on a rainy day this was so worth the 2 hour drive. We stayed for hours, touring the beautiful and tidy scenery. So coming back when I can.

Purling Brook Falls in Springbrook National Park is a breathtaking natural wonder that is definitely worth a visit. The waterfall stands at a height of 109 meters, and the view of it is simply impressive. The journey to the waterfall is also stunning: hiking trails lead through lush tropical forests, allowing you to enjoy magnificent views. It's a great place for those who love outdoor activities and want to experience the majestic nature of Australia.

Such an awesome walk! After living in WA for a while, it was great to see such tall trees and so many different plants! The falls were spectacular with quite a bit of water going over them!

Epic spot, the walk down to the base of the falls is moderate and has some great stop off points. Wildlife in abundance. Best in clockwise direction in my opinion. Go early for less touristy crowds

We come here often, seeing it's only 45 minutes' drive from home. Scenery and rainforest are always spectacular, even though it started raining quite heavily. I wonder why it rained ...? ... But of course! -- 'Rain'forest... ;-).

Be prepared for a long walk. Approximately 1 hour down and 1 hour getting back up. Wear your sneakers and take a bottle of water. The waterfall is so beautiful and worth the time and energy you spend. Enjoy!

Known for its world-class waves and Superbank, Snapper Rocks is a must-see on the Gold Coast. A unique rock pool with scenic views overlooking the beach makes it a perfect place to relax and soak up the sun.
Really nice area to visit (even if it was a stormy day) was difficult to get parking to go into this area though, had to walk some distance.
Driving around the area was a little confusing also as it’s on the border of NSW and QLD, and daylight savings was in effect and our clock kept changing.
Would recommend coming here on a nice sunny day.

Nestled amidst nature's embrace, the picturesque landscape unfolds like a painting brought to life. Majestic mountains rise proudly, their peaks touching the heavens, while tranquil valleys spread out below, adorned with lush carpets of greenery. The air carries a hint of freshness, infused with the delicate fragrance of wildflowers that paint the meadows in a kaleidoscope of colors.
Sunlight filters through the foliage of towering trees, casting dappled shadows on the forest floor. The symphony of nature plays softly in the background, with the gentle rustling of leaves and the melodious songs of birds filling the air. Crystal-clear rivers meander through the land, their waters glistening under the radiant sunlight, inviting travelers to lose themselves in their serene beauty.
As the day progresses, the sky transforms into a mesmerizing canvas, ablaze with hues of orange, pink, and gold. The sun descends gracefully, casting a golden glow upon the landscape. The horizon becomes a tapestry of colors, merging seamlessly with the tranquil waters of lakes and seas, as if the earth and the sky have become one.
In the distance, fields of swaying golden wheat dance in the wind, their rhythmic movements echoing the harmony of the surroundings. Rolling hills stretch as far as the eye can see, inviting adventurers to explore their undulating paths and discover hidden treasures within.
As twilight descends, a blanket of stars adorns the velvet sky, twinkling like diamonds. The moon casts its silvery glow upon the land, illuminating hidden corners and casting an air of mystery over the scenery. Nature's nocturnal symphony takes center stage, as owls hoot in the distance and fireflies paint the darkness with their ethereal glow.
In this breathtaking panorama, time seems to slow down, allowing one to appreciate the beauty and grandeur of the world. It is a place where the soul finds solace, where worries are forgotten, and where the magnificence of nature reminds us of the wonders that exist beyond the confines of our daily lives.

So nice, even just for a walk.
Looking back towards Surfers and Burleigh heads.
A huge sand build up here now, you can walk along the beach where I once used to surf.
I visited while the surf was a bit small but there was still a few grommets out, they were shredding! What else would you expect from this epic surf break.
I'de hate to surf here now with a good swell running . I'll Leave that for the hungry ones.
There's a cool surf club ,"where you would rather be" and a heap of shops and cafes etc to visit for food etc, between Rainbow and Kirra.

😎 The Video below - Snapper Rocks - Surfing Nirvana 🏖️🏄♂️💯
⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
Let's start with the obvious, Snapper Rocks is a surfers Nirvana. The point break, forming the head of the famous Superbank, produces long, consistent waves that roll in like clockwork for all surfers.
But Snapper Rocks isn't just for surfers:
> Sunbathe at the Rainbow Bay patrolled beach
> Explore the Oceanway walking trail that extends around to the exquisite Froggies Beach & onto to Point Danger
> Food, drinks and family friendly prices @ the Rainbow Bay Surf Club - excellent views overlooking the beach
> Plenty of spots to throw down the picnic blanket and indulge in your own BYO goodies
Parking can be hard to find especially during peak time or the surf is on. You can find street parking along Marine Parade and around the surf club.
Snapper Rocks is another one of my favourite southern Gold Coast beaches and is ideal for a family day in the sun.

A wildlife park near the Gold Coast in Queensland, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is home to native Australian animals such as mammals, reptiles, birdlife and amphibians. There are regular shows and encounters as well as opportunities to feed the animals.
Fantastic place to visit and see the animals. The staff were friendly and very insightful. I love the set up of the park, especially with the train. The train makes it easy for anyone to move around the park and not miss any of the sights & sounds. I would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area, you will not regret it!

This place is incredible! Visiting from the States, of course the animals are nothing like I've ever seen before. That alone is amazing in and of itself. However, the layout and landscape were truly spectacular. Nothing like you would get from a zoo or aquarium at home. I felt my inner child come out and be thrilled at all the animals in a very natural habitat. The staff was terrific and knowledgeable. I loved how spread out and open all the habitats are. The kangaroos were available to feed and pet (not the joeys!) and watch as though I was in their natural environment. The real treat were the koalas. So many babies!!! I couldn't believe how long I could stand and watch the mamas and babies together. The refreshments are reasonably priced and delish. I was delighted and my experience exceeded all expectations.

Amazing value for money! There is so much to see with educational boards throughout the sanctuary. For a dollar coin donation you can feed the lorikeets at 8am, this was by far my favourite experience! Within the day pass you also get access to feedings, shows and talks. I could easily spend all day there! You can roam at your own pace too. I highly recommend booking a day pass if you are ever in the Gold Coast, you won't want to miss out on this amazing experience, trust me!! I will definetly return, it was so much fun.

I love Currumbin -it's even better than all the other animal sanctuaries and zoos in QLD. I think that the simplified list of shows throughout the day needs to be more easily accessible on the website but it is so much fun to visit, even if you only make one or two shows. If you CAN only make one, be sure it's the 10:45am or 2:15pm wild skies free flight show on the opposite side of the sanctuary to the entry -easily the best free flight show around. Accessibility for mobility impaired persons and people with prams is far better than anywhere else too. This is a really special experience.

Started off 2023 with a bang. This place is awesome....better than a certain well known Australian zoo. I say this for a few reasons - the cost is reasonable (and comparable), the range of animals is great, everything is well spaced out but not too far for walking, plenty of shows through the day, wandering wildlife (with volunteer staff) which you can occasionally interact with, it's super clean, not over crowded and the cost for food and drink is also reasonable. The quality of the meals was great too.
We spent a full day meandering around and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Please keep in mind when reading this, this is a wildlife park, not a zoo so, no elephants and tigers type animals, mostly native and rescued international animals.
Staff were friendly and knowledgeable too.
This place is definately family friendly.
Thank you for an awesome day!

Visiting this sanctuary is a must! So many fun things to observe and experience for people of all ages. The koalas, kangaroos, reptiles, birds and many more. Beautiful daily shows and my favorite was the Wildskies bird show. The colorful Lorikeets feeding is a refreshing and lively experience. The dinosaurs trail is a fun and interactive way to learn about dinosaurs. There is also the activity of Zip lining which is suitable for older children and adults. Highly recommended. My one and only recommendation for the management is to keep the restaurants open until the sanctuary closes, as it's difficult to catch up with the shows and have a good meal after them.

Amazing experience in a gorgeous animal paradise. The koala breakfast was the crown jewel, and I highly recommend it. We got to pet koalas multiple times, take great photos and learn a lot about them, the food was delicious, and you also get early park access so you can go see other animals before anyone else enters the park. The echidna encounter was a fluke and I would not recommend it. Friend the kangaroos and petting them was a treat that will last us a lifetime. The red panda was the most beautiful creature I’ve seen. And the lemurs were hilarious, tanning around in the most intriguing poses. The one bad/terrible thing that must to be changed is the diesel train. Not only does it pollute the environment for us humans and the animals they’re trying to rescue, but it just smells terrible and made us sick. And one thing that should be improved are the bathrooms.
Esteban — Google review
I haven’t been here in like 15 years, and as much as it’s improved, it’s also just the way it was..and that’s perfect!!
Plenty of amenities available in all sections of the sanctuary.
The little trains are awesome and get you around nice and quick. They take strollers, so not to worry.
All of the exhibits were fantastic. Stroll through an aviary; catch up with the lemurs, red panda, tassie devils, wombats, among many other species.
You can have your photo taken with a koala, which is an amazing experience.
Unfortunately the kangaroo field is largely closed due to, what looks like, an AMAZING upgrade that should open in the near future. You can still meet many kangaroos, and feed them for just $2.
The water play area is a great addition. It is probably suited towards kids 1-4 years old.
We look forward to coming in the future.

This place is great! I totally recommend visiting here on your own or as a family. Me and my family came here quite a few times when we lived in Australia and it is such a lovely welcoming place. The staff are brilliant and so kind and talkative which really adds to the whole experience. My favourite part is the bird feeding where you can feed the wild birds and they are so tame considering they are wild because of all the love they receive here and food of course 😂. The kangaroo encounter is also lovely as they are very calm and comfortable around people and have a nice large environment to live in. This whole zoo is beautiful and so worth visiting :)

Despite having visited the Gold Coast on many occasions, I had never visited the Sanctuary and, despite the rather steep entry price, I was really very impressed. In fact, I think it was worth the money spent. The enclosures looked well thought out for the different animals, the notices are well worded and informative, and the different sections provided plenty of interest for all ages. I went with my daughter and her two children aged 5 and 3. If you feel so inclined you can even try the ziplines (height dependant). The area is huge, but there is a train if you get too tired (or hot!), although the kids can cool off in the water park, so bring togs! There's also a playground.

We did some research on the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary while planning a trip to the Gold Coast and it was well worth the visit.
We booked in to do the grazing with the koalas (afternoon tea) which got us up close to them and we were able to each have a holding a koala.
Every one of the zoo keepers where full and f knowledge and very happy to answer any questions you had about the animals.
This is one of those “must do while on the Gold Coast” things and we really enjoyed everything about the day.
We went in a Friday and there was a market with food vans with plenty of different types of food so that was where we had dinner before heading home.

Steep entry fee compared to other parks that are just as beautiful and have just as many features. Perhaps, I feel this way partly because the train wasn't available, but even a functioning train shouldn't cause the ticket to be nearing double the cost of other high quality parks.

We had a family get together here. It was lovely!! Lots of fun for all ages. The train ride was cool. The bird show was really good. Queues weren't too bad. Food at the cafeteria was nice. Lots of life all around.

Was really impressed with the modern nature of the facilities and upkeep of the premises. It's a lush hideaway with cool walking tracks thanks to the stunning vegetation. A lot of effort has gone into designing the enclosures. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. Far better than some of the other zoos around SEQ.
The highlight was certainly the cultural dance show!

I visited on a weekday outside of the school holidays. It was $65.60 charged to my card to get in, plus $10 for the car park. The park is fairly spaced out, but the free train makes it easy to get around. The free flight bird show is good. I didn't bother with any other shows. I saw at least one animal in most enclosures. I missed a few enclosures as I had already done a walk that morning and was getting tired.
I bought some Kaarage fried chicken pieces and a coke for $15. The chicken was dry. Probably would have been okay if it was served with some kind of sauce.
I saw a large play area for kids.
There is a high rope course for additional money. It looked really cool. Unfortunately, I'm too fat to try it. It was very high in some places, and looked quite long.

Wow what a superb wildlife park!! Can't recommend it enough. Beautifully designed, educational, healthy animals and passionate staff. Get there early for the parakeet feeding (8am onwards).
I visited with my family and partners parents who visited from the Netherlands and it was great for them that as soon as you walk in there are so many koalas to see, you can pat kangaroos and emus, walk with the wallabies etc.
I'll do a separate review for the tree-top challenge but all I'll say here is it is SO worth the $40 ticket upgrade.
Plenty of add-on experiences too but book these in advance.
Only downsides were there is currently only one place to order food, and the train around the park stops early.
Enjoy visiting!!

I came here a few days ago, unfortunately the train was under maintenance, but that was the main thing I found about this attraction and habitats - they are very good at maintenance! The staff here obviously take great pride in keeping the animals comfortable and ensuring the best for their patrons.
Speaking of animals, they were all healthy and happy, and I actually enjoyed this park the most out of all the parks I've been to - the natural habitats and positioning made it possible to see the animals even if they were sleeping, something not found even somewhere like Taronga Zoo.
The gift stores were cute, and the staff were nice! Had a great time and it was definitely worth the visit.

Great day out with the kids (and adults). Not a tonne of animals to see but enough for a good few hours of fun and entertainment.
Good cafes within the park for refreshments as well. The train ride is fun and obviously the koalas are super cute!
