South Australian Museum is a popular place for children and adults to explore in air-conditioned comfort. There are extensive displays of fossils, mammals, Ancient Egyptian artifacts, Aboriginal culture, and more. Some of the most popular exhibits include taxidermy from former Adelaide Zoo exhibits as well as an exhibit on giant squid.
Visited on the 27 April after visiting the migration museum. There are lots to see and learn on the natural history of Australia. Covering topics on the aboriginals, land and marine animals, geology and geography. It was fantastic that there were several sections on aboriginals which covered the Kaurna.
Love how a small part of the museum extends into the cafe. Spend at least 3 hours here for a quick walk through, but I reckon a few days would be good. Remember to visit the visitor information counter for a map and ask how to navigate the place.

I visited Photographer of the Year exhibition and also the large mammals collection. This exhibition is one of the highlights of my year. There are new things to see every year. I make a donation when purchasing my tickets.
I also enjoy visiting the shop and its excellent selection of books, educational toys and beautiful handmade items. The restaurant is also worth a visit, with an enjoyable vegan selection. The staff are pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. I always enjoy visiting South Australian Museum in Adelaide.

The South Australian Museum was a fantastic experience. I definitely recommend visiting if you're in Adelaide. The museum is located in the city center and offers free entry (with some additional charges for certain exhibitions). It's a great place to learn about Aboriginal culture, as well as the geological history of Australia and its flora and fauna. The museum is beautifully curated and incredibly informative and engaging.

Loved the SA Museum, is beautiful place where you will find different cultures and a variety of fossils and information about South Australia and it history. The museum offers free entrance to all the rooms, it is composed for three floors, in which you can observe aboriginal history, paintings, pictures, boomerangs and different tools they apply to hunt animals and fishing.
Also, you will find minerals, rocks and a bit of geological history from South Australlia. The museum has a big mineral collection with beautiful samples and interesting different minerals. They have a huge amonite and dinosaurs fossils, dinosaurs skeletons and different animals.
In the ground floor you will find a. Coffee shop and the museum store to buy some souvenirs.

Definitely a must see museum. And it’s free for the usual exhibits. There’s usually. Special one that would need a tickets. The free one already would take at least 2 hours so this could be a half a day and it’s enjoyable for the whole family.
Couple of levels of different types of exhibits. A cafe and museum shop at the end for the one to wants a coffee and a souvenir.

Great museum, can do it in about 2 hours. Lots of great stuff to learn I particularly enjoyed the mammals and the Douglas Mawson exhibit.

The museum is free, no need to buy tickets. Beautiful collection of natural history. The polynesian exposition is really cool! Recommend checking out!

Brilliant. It was 40° outside and I was melting. Popped into the museum for a spot of culture and some air conditioning. Really good, so glad we went it. There was a display in the foyer and I got to see a Frogmouth Owl. 😁
Lots of information about the Aboriginal people, which was incredibly interesting. You need to allow quite a bit of time to see it all. Definitely visiting again when I'm back in Adelaide.
Mike Love — Google review
Loved the SA museum, lots to see and discover, good for kids and adults. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Adelaide city. It was founded in 1856 and has a collection of over 4 million objects and specimens. Located in the cultural precinct next to Art Gallery of SA.

An amazing museum with so much to see and to learn, especially for those into history and science. One whole day is not enough for this museum. The discovery centre is amazing for kids which opens on weekends and Wednesdays and Fridays (10:30am-2:30pm). Well worth a visit to see a working bee hive. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Here is Great and huge so Educational! The displaying design is comfortable and beautuful. The most important part is free admission. Super strongly recommend to everyone!

Such an interesting museum with a good variety of displays over four levels. The taxidermy displays are especially well presented and clearly labelled. Children and school going students can see the displays up close for educational purposes.
Entry is free to the various displays, but there are special exhibitions held occasionally which are chargeable. Walking here from Rundle Mall is barely 5 minutes at normal pace.

My son loves coming to the museum and seeing all the cool exhibits. His favourite is the full sized giant squid that goes from ground level up to the third floor. This was a special Lego exhibit that was on during our last visit
Michael Heinrich — Google review
Awesome. I visited Sydney museum in February and was completely disappointed, BUT the difference between the two is astounding, Adelaides museum is chock a block full of very interesting exhibits, from opelised fossils and an excellent range of contemporary animals to my favourite, the Egyptian period. It was a great experience and loved every minute.

so much fun! if you’re someone who wants to see Everything you can easily spend 4 hours here :) and if you like to speed through then it’s still worth it as it’s Free! we went on a wednesday afternoon and it was super quiet and lovely

It’s a good place to spend time with your family and friends. It had free access and paid access areas. We visited both. It’s vast and make sure you have plenty of time. We also tried a treasure hunt game on I pad. It was quite difficult, may be good for big team (4members). You will learn so much about animals, past, space and stones. ❤️❤️❤️

I recently visited a museum in Adelaide, and it was an amazing experience! The museum has four levels of fascinating exhibits, which made the exploration and discovery process very exciting. The best part is that it's completely free for everyone! The exhibits range from ancient Egyptian artifacts to beautiful natural displays and ancient civilization exhibits, making the experience both educational and entertaining. If you're in town, I highly recommend checking it out.
Areej — Google review
A great place to check out if you're from SA, or if you have a friend from out of town visiting! Free entry, and can spend as much time as you want or pop in and out of the areas you're most interested in quite quickly. The stairwell with the giant squid needs some TLC/updating, but overall a great free activity in Adelaide and a decent size given we're a smaller main city.
Yasmine Lintvelt — Google review
This place is awesome there is 4 floors of things to look at it goes on and on for a free Museum it's amazing the content they have well worth a visit on a rainy day (I know its Adelaide ha ha).

Great, quirky museum. I particularly enjoyed the focus on Aboriginal culture, Antarctica section and small Egyptian room. Definitely worth spending a couple of hours here!
Kat Lee — Google review
Free entry (I saw some "experience" on Booking who tried to sell tickets for this museum).
Great place to discover the aboriginal culture (even if Australian society has a weird way to respect it), earth history, australian fauna, flora and geology. The old gallery is still open, now presenting artifacts from the islands and oceanic territories.
If you like history (natural or human), this is a must-see in Adelaide.
Nathan Kottelanne — Google review
We’ve been to this museum a few times and never fails to entertain. The fact that it is free for everyone is just too tempting. The collection from ancient Egypt, natural earth beauty, ancient civilisation is educational. A place for youngsters to see, touch and be mesmerised by earth’s wonders. The museum is perfectly laid out. The best part of the museum was the giant squid which few times of visit still gives me the hibby jibbies. It’s everyone’s a must list of places to visit in Adelaide. A place to learn how everything we do in this planet has a cause and effect.

This was a great place to visit! Very generous that it costs nothing to visit. Very informative and interesting exhibits.
The Adelaide Zoo is a world-renowned zoo and one of the city's most popular attractions. With over 500 animals, it is home to a range of species including lions, giraffes, meerkat, chimpanzees and so much more! The zoo has three levels of experiences to suit different needs and budgets and you will never be short on things to do when visiting.
This zoo was really awesome . We have seen many of zoos and comparatively this zoo has plenty of space for the animals and the number of trees and plants around really makes it feel like you are in a jungle/Forest.
We really enjoyed this zoo and the pandas and the Girraffes having a tall door to enter shade was our favourite 💛

Fabulous zoo suitable for the whole family!
Great collection of exhibits and animals. Navigation and access and all easy. There is a large children’s playground as well. Plenty of cleaver exhibits for nocturnal animals as well.
Strong recommend from me!

Beautiful Zoo and Animals. Had a lovely time with my family walking around.
Seen all the cute animals and had a good day.
Food is way overpriced we paid $42.30 for 3 hotdogs and 3 small chips. Eat before you go.
Amanda Grealy — Google review
Great day out for the family.
If you have little ones, great the zoobaru for $15. Good fun.
You can probably see most animals in just over 2 hours.
If you go on Sunday, parking is free on plain tree drive.
Adam Brown — Google review
Every time we visit there is something different to see. The animals are well cared for and clearly do much goes on behind the scenes that the public likely aren’t aware of. I talked to a staff person whose job was to electronically document what the red pandas were doing every two minutes as they were newly introduced to each other.
An absolute South Australian icon and well known to be amongst one of the best zoos in the world. We’ve been to many and this is accurate. We have become life members due to the great place this is.
Jagmali — Google review
The zoo is a nice experience but not better than most others I have visited. Very good for children with a lot of Meet the Keeper educational shows through the day. We arrived at 945, most of the animals were hiding or asleep so I suggest to start in the afternoon. Took us 3 hours to see everything.
Stephanie Rose — Google review
Only a small space, but well laid out and so much happening. We even had the delight of seeing the Pandas, despite them not being on display. Friendly staff and great displays.
Only complaint: limited souvenirs.

On a recent visit to Adelaide I was privileged to visit Adelaide Zoo. It is absolutely charming, the gardens are divine and many of the enclosures are very innovative for example the aerial tunnels for the red pandas. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit can’t wait to go again
Jenny P — Google review
Phenomenal experience in Adelaide zoo that is bigger than it looks. Has every animals you can think of aside from aquatic animals (except for turtle 🐢 and penguins 🐧). There's roughly 2 cafes with food in here and plenty of bathroom while walking around. Aside from that, there's some shows or feeding session at specific hours that brings in crowds watching. Very spacious and pleasant visit so far.
Angsophea Eng — Google review
Very interesting and good variety of animals. Well presented animal enclosures. We enjoyed lunch in the zoo. The souvenirs were a bit lacking as I was looking for an adult size T-shirt 😞
Sanette Smith — Google review
A phenomenal adventure in every way. I recommend booking ahead if you want to go to any specific animal experiences, as there were only a few left when I went in the morning on a weekend, though I loved the tortoise and pygmy hippo experiences that I did go to, and so also could recommend just rocking up and seeing what "less popular" animals are still available for a more intimate experience (or even one-on-one experience as I had with the tortoises).
I spent an entire day here from almost opening time through to closing, and I still feel like I could have spent more time here because there are so many animals to see. Bring some good walking shoes, a bottle of water, and a fan if you're going in summer, though there is plenty of seating with some lovely views of the animals all around, and some air-conditioned areas such as where the insects are and pandas.
Lovely descriptive signage complete with an indication of how threatened each species is. If you'd like to see a particular animal, look up their most active hours ahead of time and plan your stroll past them then, or at feeding time (many more animals were active in the morning particularly on the hot summer day I went).
A beautiful zoo, definitely a must-visit if you are in Adelaide, especially as being the only zoo in Australia with giant pandas at time of writing.
Carly Sheil — Google review
Very clean and lovely scenery. Not as much to see as some other zoos I've been to, but still a great day. Especially If you have got little kiddies as everything is exciting 😊 The playground Is actually really good. Lots of tables and chairs and pricing was pretty standard for a public place.
Renee Kestell — Google review
Love the zoo, friendly, helpful staff. Nice layout with lots of cool plants. Animals look content in good size, clean enclosures. Like the conservation efforts and message of this zoo. As an added bonus, the bat colony just outside is quite simple unbelievable, I've never seen anything like it, amazing! Thanks Adelaide zoo 💖
Karen Kent — Google review
Very nice and fully equipped zoo. It is easily accessible for wheelchair. All the animals were happy and playful. Specially lions put on an excellent show by cuddling and playing with each other.
Rahila Iqbal — Google review
We liked our visit to the zoo! It was a beautiful day and we got ample time to spend time observing the animal mannerisms. The lioness was such a poser and Sumatran Tiger was not happy with something , Kangaroos and Wallabies were busy eating while the Dingo’s were busy playing! The orangutan walked the ramp and went out of sight!
Some said the zoo is small but I felt it was really well maintained and easy to cover in a couple of hours with the right dose of animals!

A great family outing at one of Adelaide's most iconic locations
It's incredible how much joy Animals can bring to all walks of life, and having an ever expanding location like this is just incredible.
I haven't been here much in my adult years, so I was blown away by the developments
Amazing breadth of animals and a well structured area that promotes the celebration of wildlife
An absolute perfect day out for family - everyone should go

Wow! What an amazing zoo! I was so impressed. The variety of animals was amazing. There were the likes of tigers and pandas which seem to be so rare to find at zoos. We also saw the animals so up close which was incredible.
The environment was beautiful and green and there were barely any people there on a weekday. Winner!
There are also helpful and knowledgeable volunteers all around the zoo which was a nice touch.
Emily Moulds — Google review
We had a fantastic visit to the zoo, where we enjoyed seeing a wide variety of animals and admiring the beautiful plants. A helpful tip for future visitors: try to visit the pandas before lunchtime, as they tend to sleep in the afternoon, making them harder to spot later in the day.
S. A. — Google review
It was a beautiful place , but few of the animals like the penguins , birds of prey , big red kangaroos were missing in the enclosure . Great spot for families. It would have been great if it had more cafes or eateries
Yadhu Shankar — Google review
Been a long time since I went to the zoo. Nicely updated facilities. Lion and lioness feeding time was the highlight! And of course the Pandas (I like that you do not have a separate fee to see the Pandas now) Also, enjoyed the walkthrough avaries. The pigmy hippo was a favourite, watching the hippo play with a ball in and out of the water.
Raquel Yeomans — Google review
Relatively small compared to other zoo's but very nice for what it is and entertaining if you have little ones, Ive been here twice now with my family and would say its a good day out if you pair a visit here with the botanic gardens or something happening in that very scenic north terrace area. My only negative is Id say the ticket prices are a bit too high but I guess you could always buy a membership

Good collection of wild life. Kids loved it. On site facilities for dining (cafeteria), seating and tables, toilets.Has a play area for kids as well. Space is creatively utilized to contain and display wild life.

I spent a few hours and saw everything more than once. Many more animals than I’ve shared on my review too. If you want to see giant pandas, get in quickly as it looks as though they will go back to China later in 2024 due to lack of funding. The zoo has a cafe and a couple of gift shops, isn’t too big and minimal enclosures are currently closed. Book animal encounters well ahead to avoid disappointment. Staff were friendly and informative. Wear comfy walking shoes, bring water, wear a hat & sunscreen!
Ree Babe — Google review
Visited this place mainly for the pandas which was lovely! Lucky to see at least one of the 2 pandas active during the feeding session. We also went around to see the other attractions and other animals—some areas were crowded but this is expected as it is school holidays.
There are water fountains around the area which is good.
Shaded seating areas are available for quick rests in between.
Toilets were clean.

A very small zoo compared other Interstate zoos, however it was nice to be able to see the animals with ease. The whole place felt like new, it was nice to walk around. Only wish the parking was easier & cheaper.

We had an absolutely fantastic day with heaps to see. The giraffes were amazing and the meerkats and otters were just adorable.
The coffee at the cafe in the middle of the zoo was just delicious.
I think it’s brilliant how they have a big bird cage backing on to the toilets in the middle of the zoo but definitely feel sorry for the birds with the things they have to smell!
Of course the toilets could have some better up keep but over all it wasn’t the worst.
Paige Harvey — Google review
A wonderful zoo to visit. Lots of easily accessible paths and ramps for pushers and wheelchairs.
Some great demonstrations of exotic birds, sea lions and other animals throughout the day.
Helen Loveday — Google review
It was our first outing to the Zoo. Wide variety of animals to see and great outing overall. All facilities are very well maintained, water points throughout the Zoo as well for filling up your water bottle. The giant Panda was our favourite. Unfortunately there were no Koala's at the time of our visit. We will definitely be back.
The Art Gallery of South Australia is a major art institution in Adelaide, located on North Terrace. It has an extensive collection of paintings, sculptures, prints and other artworks from all over the world. The gallery is also home to regular exhibitions of contemporary and historical art. Start family day at the gallery is a great way to introduce children aged 3-12 to the joys (and challenges!) of art.
Loved coming to the art gallery, and my little explorer loved it as well, she was more interested then i expected. Art work was amazing, the current Dots display was something you really need to see.
rosanna T — Google review
A great place with great masterpieces. It’s free to access. They have guided tours happening at 3 different times during the day. It wasn’t crowded, but the place wasn’t deserted too. The art gallery has a cafeteria too. From art to ornaments to biological concepts to aboriginal art, this place displays a great collection even with origins from other countries. I would say it takes atleast about an hour to properly cover the place. It’s quite big. No parking since it’s in the heart of the city. You have to park somewhere else and get here.
Asara Senaratne — Google review
I feel like I will never get bored of coming here. Sure it’s not as big as other cities, but the building in itself is art! Such a stunning place, and a wonderful collection and variety of art. I’ve been here many times and will continue to visit every now and then :)

Since 1900 Art Gallery of South Australia has housed some of the best paintings 🖼️ photographs and other curios. They have so many different exhibitions from time to time. I really enjoy their first Fridays. On first Fridays they offer curated programme of live music, talks and tours. It’s free. Can grab something to eat from the cafe and a coffee or a glass of wine 🍷 some events are ticketed events. Better buy the tickets 🎫 to those ticketed events prior to arriving at the venue.

A great public gallery, plenty of variety. There's weird, modern stuff for the trendy crowd. But also lots of quality, older work for those who appreciate aesthetics. The horse skins are a low point, Chiharu Shiota's 'Absence embodied' was a highlight. Overall, a couple of hours well spent.
Adam Hellyer — Google review
It is always refreshing and intriguing to come here every couple of months when the new theme is coming up. The arts I saw today is pretty marvellous and strong. The blood-knitting-web seems “awfully splendid “, the horses statues are strong too. And really enjoy this season’s theme. As an art newbie, can’t say I have lots to say but they do make me thinking and enjoying.

The most outstanding collection of Australian impressionist artwork and surprisingly incredible level of European and Japanese art also present. Totally defied my expectations. Staff up front were eager and helpful, and a polite guard explained the story behind one of my fathers favourite paintings.

You can go in for free and brought our tourist friends here and it was great and we all had a lovely experience. There was though a minor incident where one of my friend’s mom sat on a chair that was for display and it wasn’t meant to be sat on. Would be nice if there’s a bigger sign so that even the elderly can see it. If you have a backpack, you have to wear it in front. I always love the upside down tree installation that goes around. It is relaxing. It’s also nice there’s place to eat downstairs at the lower level. Worth a visit.

Service: Definitely worth going when you visit or live in Adelaide. I’ve been here twice. The second time was to see the Frida Kahlo exhibition. It was amazing.
Price: Most of the art exhibitions are free and only their special collections that you need to pay.
Transportation: You can use the free transport which is the tram stop at Art Gallery/Museum or use the 99C or 98C free bus city loop and stop at G1 north side.

I didn't expect much but this gallery was quite impressive. The featured art was stunning with a variety of styles including impressionist, dada, chinese, renaissance, religious and contemporary. Noteworthy pieces included the provoking horse corpse and a white room filled with red yarn. Loved it and recommended to all my friends!

The Frida and Diego exhibition was so beautifully put together, and it was incredible seeing her art up close! The recreations of her clothing was a nice touch. It’s free entry and has an excellent range of art from very old paintings to new, thru a web of red wool to a very strange (and grotesque) double horse. There is an incredible exhibit of clear glass balls that go black as you walk away from them. They sometimes have visiting exhibits. I saw a Picasso display of pencil drawings about 4 years ago. There is a child’s area where you can do drawings of your own.

Variety of art from Australia and other countries—art pieces, paintings, videos.
Plenty of spaces to move around which is important as some people might take some time appreciating and reading some displays and descriptions.
There is a cafe inside with food and drinks available which is located in front of the gallery shop.
Adelaide Botanic Gardens is a wonderful and vast 125 acre garden with rare plants, Statuary, greenhouses & cafes. There is plenty to do for children in the Garden with many exciting activities like meandering pathways, wildlife spotting and historic buildings to explore.
Fantastic experience .
Close to nature and one can witness the greatest flora of all times . So beautifully maintained and neat and clean.
You can have a glimpse of many tropical birds. This has cafes and botanical centres dedicated to certain plants species

What a beautiful place to visit! The Botanic Gardens is free to enter and is conveniently located on the free tram route. We spent a good 2-3 hours there and only touched on the surface of what the gardens has to offer. Definitely a place that warrants multiple trips to really appreciate.
There’s a variety of areas to see including everything from a rose garden to a succulent garden to a conservatory with ferns and other tropical plants. The site is really well maintained and has ample areas to sit and just relax. There’s multiple paths throughout the place, so I’d recommend having a map to help you navigate (unfortunately, though there are signposts indicating different sites, they don’t have nearly enough maps posted throughout the gardens).
Overall, great place to visit! One of the best Botanical Gardens we’ve seen in Australia!

A sensational garden! Very well planned, lots of variety and we loved the little tracks through the trees! Well signed, lots of amusement and surprise and birds galore. We loved how many edible varieties there were too. Anyone visiting Adelaide with a few hours to kill will love this place. Also great for kids as there’s plenty of area to run about and also have a picnic. There was a special event on while we were there with big dinosaurs in the gardens and the kids seemed to be loving that!

The garden is so beautiful. The glass structure, something like cottage, all these structures looks amazing. They have created something like rain forest inside that glass building. It was a really good experience to walk around there. The small pond inside the glass building has a beautiful fish. I would definitely recommend to go and visit this place.

Small but charming gardens, they have so much to offer. For example, please make sure you visit Museums and exhibitions, particularly the economic botany house, you will learn a lot about how and what plants contributed to our human economy, see unique specimens.
There are several dedicated sections for different plants, conifers, giant waterlilies, Dahlia garden is lovely as well. Good option for a warm afternoon.

The Botanic Gardens in Adelaide are a true oasis.
Beautifully landscaped gardens with majestic avenues and breathtaking architecture in the heart of the city.

Love the gardens, it's my favourite place to get lost in and I've taken my camera to get some nice shots too. There's maps and stuff but unless you don't want to miss anything, I recommend just wondering for the experience. It's so cool that there's different buildings like greenhouses or museums inside that you can learn a lot too. Pictured are some of the beautiful things you can find here

Great way to kill a few hours. We paid to go into the rainforest and photography exhibition which was Amazing. There's so many cool little secret gardens and pathways. You could get lost for hours. It would be a beautiful place for a wedding. So happy we went

Good place to spend your Sunday afternoon. There were different parts of the garden to see. I found the cactus/ succulents and the Amazonian lily section the best.
The National Wine Centre is a tourist attraction in Adelaide that showcases Australian wine. It includes tasting rooms, winemaking displays, and information about different wine varieties.
Loved the food. Top quality, fresh and tasty. We had the lunch menu and portion sizes were medium sized. Would definitely come back. Make sure you do the tasting room..120 wines to taste and staff are friendly and well informed.

Interesting and very well arranged, especially the wine tasting bar. However, I would appreciate rather bigger and more detailed museum-style exhibition than two rooms that are currently there.

What can I say! Venue excellent. Views fantastic. Food divine, and of course wine spectacular. I have been there 5 or 6 times for functions and am never disappointed. Great place for a work or personal function, or for just a quiet drink for 2 if you want a different venue and to explore the wine story of SA.
Staff very attentive. If you haven't been there you are definitely missing out. Following your visit to the wine centre you can stroll through the Botanic Gardens. Who could ask for more??

Expected nice huge amount of information about Australian wines, winemakers, procedures, bit of wine museum and interactive experience. It was like 10 min and all was over :-/
The place doesn't worth to go to for tourists.
Only for wine tasting and functions. Undeground cellar closed.
Have a look on the pics and save your time :-)

Another fantastic place in Adelaide to visit. We did the ‘eat me’ degustation menu which was superb. Teamed with some of the most amazing wines. Our sommelier Maria was fantastic, she loves her job and it showed. We thoroughly enjoyed the 3.5 hour long lunch and service. Make sure you’re hungry because the food doesn’t stop 😊.

My fiance and I enjoyed the 'feed me' experience. We chose the shared option and feasted on a variety of scrumptious foods that were perfectly matched to delicious South Australian wines. The staff were attentive and our sommelier very knowledgeable. Definitely recommend for those who enjoy good food and wine!

Popped into the cafe for chat and s coffee with an old (young at heart) friend. We were impressed by not only the food but the architecture of the building, and the selection of places to sit, inside and out.
Looking forward to a return visit, to sample wine, and see what else is on offer

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the National Wine Centre on 7/10/23 and I honestly am in complete awe as to how perfect everything was!
Absolutely everything was better than how we imagined it from start to finish.
The set up was so beautiful, not a thing out of place and our vision was met spot on.
The food was delicious, every single guest was blown away with how amazing it was.
The staff were impeccable! They are super professional, accommodating and just overall lovely people!
The wedding coordinator Megan is incredible! She guided us through our wedding planning from start to finish and we knew she would not let a thing go wrong. She really did take the stress out of all the wedding planning!
From the moment of arrival to the moment of departure we could not fault a thing!
Thank you Megan, and the staff of the National Wine Centre for having us for our special day! You guys went above and beyond and we couldn’t be more thankful!
Thank you for making our day perfect 😍

Very basic facilities and not really worth visiting even for a hard core Wine fan like myself. The cafe and restaurant has wines by the glass of 50 varieties but I found it very expensive.

The self guided wine tasting is hidden gem of an experience in Adelaide, there is a huge selection and the self service system works really well. We really enjoyed the food as well and the service was lovely, personally I’d recommend skipping the tour and going straight to this.

The national wine center was a bit disappointing. You need to booked an appointment for visit . At first, staff offered us a complimentary wine. Staff were friendly. all the rest of the tour was awful and unprofessional.this place is not a tour attraction. So,Not a great choice if you’re looking for having a good fun time.

I attended a wedding at the National Wine Centre on Saturday 16th of March 2024.
Let's start by staying the venue is absolutely gorgeous, the food was extremely delicious and well the service was just perfect. All the waiters were very attentive and eager to help everyone. A massive thanks to Lucas who went above and beyond to keep our table well hydrated.
Thanks to the entire team you guys were amazing!
Highly recommend this venue for future events.

We were lucky enough to have our ceremony and reception at the wine centre in March 2023. Our ceremony was located on the lower lawns - just beautiful!! and our reception was in The Gallery upstairs.
Our wedding coordinator Megan was incredible! Megan came onto our wedding quite late but despite this she put us at ease from the moment we met her. On the day Megan did it all – beautifully organised our reception area, calmed me before I walked down the aisle, liaised with all the vendors. She even helped me wash a stain off the front of my dress! Megan is excellent at her job and we were incredibly lucky to have apart of our day.
The National Wine Centre Staff on the night also went above and beyond, constantly checking in with us to make sure we were having a good night and to ask if we needed anything. The food was just incredible and the drinks package was excellent.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful location that can offer the ability to do the ceremony and reception with an awesome central location easy for our interstate guests :)

Fun fun fun! Loved the chatter at the whispering wall. We had a great time. Blew our minds the clarity of our voices at opposite ends of the wall. Due to the shape sound travels to a point on each side like a walkie talkie. Unbelievable.

I went during winter but on a sunny and bright day. You can even have a picnic on the grassy area around this place. It has a lot of shade. The farms nearby have horses which make the visit to this location more beautiful. It wasn’t crowded. There’s ample enough parking lots. As the name says, you can talk from one corner of the wall and let someone hear you from the other corner. The architecture is marvellous. You truly hear the other person so clear and loud enough.
Asara Senaratne — Google review
This is an example of an engineering marvel.
Built well before modern technology and yet built to such perfection that one person can stand on one side of the dam and whisper quietly while being heard loud and clear far across at the other side.
Great science theme of sound waves.
Scott Prebble — Google review
There was a very magnificent wall there.
I became curious after seeing many people visiting that place.
It was very interesting to hear people's voices at the other end of the wall.
Perhaps some scientific principle was at work.

Pretty Amazing place. You Can read up on some of the Dams History & you can actually walk across The Dam itself. Great views & Trying out the Whispering Wall was Cool, seeing how & why it does it.
There's Lawn area, Standing Picnic Tables, Benches, Trash Cans, Clean Safe Public Toilets.
On School Holidays, There was also an Ice-Cream truck there.

A good place to go with your family and trying out the whispering through the wall. As the sound is so damn amazing and surprisingly well it can be hear from a distance. I guess the physics that we studied about does exist and you can do try out this while you be visiting this place for sure.

The whispering wall was unbelievable , infact it was so clear I thought it must be a trick and looked for a.speaker and microphone. It was real and amazingly clear. A must see the views are also excellent. This is a must do if you are in the area.

It is ok. Have public bathroom which is good. Have a ok view. I like the dam and the water.
Tahereh Talebi — Google review
The thin arch of the dam retaining wall, curved against the pressure of the water, was an innovation considered radical, and attracted the Reservoir international attention. It was featured in the Scientific American and caused the American Engineers News to remark that its "boldness of design deserves to rank with the most famous dams in the world". The dam is notable for its parabola effect, where a voice can be heard clearly from one side to the other – over 140 metres (460 ft), end to end. This unusual acoustic phenomenon is a popular tourist attraction, and has earned the dam the title "Whispering Wall".

A fun place to whisper ! You really can hear it at the other end of the dam as clearly as if the other person is next to you. But we noticed it works just as well all along on the dam itself.

What a great place. The wall and dam is spectacular, grounds clean and grassy. The listening experience defies belief. The sound is so clear you would think the person speaking from across the other side was only next to you.
Patrick J — Google review
Visited The Whispering wall on recommendation by my friends whilst staying in Gawler for a month. Lovely scenic drive up. Loads of parking available. The place was empty only me initially which I was hoping with being on my own that someone would be there so I could witness the whispering effect with someone and as luck would have it 3 guys turned up. So one walked to the other side of the bridge and made his way to the whispering site and the remaining 3 of us waited in anticipation to see if it was true and yes we could hear him plain as day when he spoke and we had a short conversation which made us all giggle. The views surrounding the wall are beautiful. There's a small park and picnic area with bins to get rid of any rubbish you might have to keep the place looking clean and tidy. I've posted a video to demonstrate the whispering effect.

Worth it if you're in the area. The actual whispering was amazing & would be great for kids. New, clean toilets & a children's scramble playground. If you are quiet, you can see the turtles sunbathing. Lots of bird wildlife.

It's called the Whispering Wall for a reason people ... Seriously some people have no idea or can't read. It's was a lovely place once the loud and obnoxious people vacated. Beautiful bird life and most unexpected to see turtles. Gorgeous views, definitely worth a visit. I recommend taking hills drive to get there and back, much better than all traffic in suburbia.
Mish — Google review
If you are in the area then maybe I would say stop. But honestly it’s a dam which forms part of the regions water supply protection which happens to be constructed in a way the carries sound. I guess it’s a bit novel but not something you’d travel significant distances to see. Public toilets clean and available on site

I had a great time on my wine tour in the Barossa. Kies was the first place and I have to admit the others did not meet up to the high standards at Kies. I have five stars ⭐️ because they really deserve it.
The time was taken to explain the drinks and to share the history on how they were made. It’s a special place and I highly recommend them to anyone visiting. We all left with bottles of wine and very happy with the Christmas gifts we started buying from the goodies on the side.

What an amazing experience at Kies Family Wines for their Tasting Australia event. The venue was perfect, the food was amazing and the service impeccable. We were lucky enough to sample some wine which is yet to be released, which was stunning, as well as delicious wine pairings with the food provided. It was also interesting to hear about the workings of the winery on our tour of the vineyard before lunch. The Kies Family is always very generous with their wine and their experiences in general, and this was no exception. We look forward to future Tasting Australia events at this wonderful winery.

Had my best wine tasting experience here! Andrew was very patient and friendly, making us feel very welcomed. I think we tried more than 10 different wines and walked out tipsy from just one winery. Andrew told us stories about the winery, the Barossa Valley region and each of the wine we tasted in great detail, which made the tasting experience really specials. What an amazing experience with Kellermeister that made our trip to Barossa Valley an amazing one!
Firstly, we had a taste test of more than 10 different type of wine, and two more premium ones should we join their membership (at no time we their pushy or salesy at all)
Our guide Andrew was such a patient guy that brought us first time wine drinker on an educational journey. He was patient and gave us time to ask questions and sample the different wines. Also it was free tasting. How good was that! I signed up for 4 bottles on a quarterly basis thereafter and their wines were of good quality as well!
Secondly, they had an amazing seating area with beautiful vast green neighboring views. There were families enjoying the space and greens playing games, chatting, taking pictures etc. There was music and also live music. The staff were friendly and it seems like a small friendly home business.
Last but not least, the meat platter we ordered was delicious, generous and of superb value. We added on an extra cheese and asked for crackers which they gave it to us at no extra charge. The wine servicing we ordered after was generous.
I will not hesitate to refer or bring anyone back there. Thank u for the amazing experience

The Mount Lofty Botanic Garden is a 97-acre garden with a lake and extensive walking trails. It has a diverse range of flora, including native Australian plants like rhododendrons and magnolias, as well as exotic plants from cool climates. There are also sculptures and artwork throughout the gardens, making it an interesting destination for all ages.
Absolutely stunning!! Such a beautiful place to visit in the Adelaide hills. Parking is a flat rate of $4.
Multiple toilet facilities available.
No cafeteria or kiosk, take your own food & drinks with you.
So many walking paths, some quite steep.
Large Range of trees, flowers, shrubs.
My favourite part is the fern gully.
Multiple bench rest stops located throughout the gardens. It’s lovely how there is a big pond that you can walk around with a bridge crossing alongside it. Very well maintained. Gardens gates close at 4pm on weekdays and 5pm on weekends and public holidays.
We also saw a variety of bird 🦅 life.
The autumn colours could still be seen (April)
Excellent place to hike or wander with family or friends. There were groups of people enjoying picnics, plenty of space for that!

Beautiful & well maintained gardens. Stunning array of native and exotic plants.
I was not expecting to pay for parking. It was only $4 for the day and the machine only takes cards. At the time of this review the bottom toilets are being renovated and there are portable toilets instead. The toilets in the upper carpark are regular toilets.
Many of the trails are very steep and hilly. I would suggest proper walking shoes and carrying water. There are thankfully benches placed all around if you do need a breather or just want to take it in. I would not tackle some of the walks with young children, or anyone who has mobility issues. There are map boards at the entrance. I would suggest taking a photo of this before you head off. I did not feel there were enough signs at different forks in the trails so I ended up at a few dead ends. I did have to follow along on Google maps at some points to not end up lost.
Overall I still had fun. Definitely allow yourself a number of hours to enjoy the park

A beautiful serene place which really come live in Autumn / Fall. The riot of colours is delightful and good weather is just the cherry on top. We celebrate autumn every year by visiting this place , this year we hosted a picnic lunch for 25 people.
It was an immersive experience for everyone and we got some stunning pictures.
The only downside is the parking lots are not enough to cater for the weekend rush and hence lead to congestion and long hike. They need to work on additional parking spaces.

Gorgeous gardens. Lots of shady area to set up picnic. Coffee bus was an awesome addition also. We enjoyed walking around in the breeze and viewing all the scenery. Only annoying thing the road was closed for an ‘event’ which was no where to be seen and we had to lug all our picnic furniture up a steep hill to get into the park. They said the car park was full but when we got to the top there were plenty of free parks. We weren’t happy but didn’t let it ruin our day.

Beautiful landscape. Enjoy the calm breeze with family and friends. Open for public from 10am till 4pm (On Sunday). The rest of the days I'm not sure. I paid $1.30 for 1 hour parking. I think.... plenty of uphill walk, good for exercising or just slow and steady walk.

Such a beautiful place to enjoy a picnic, the change in seasons, good walking tracks, amazing trees and plants, great energy and fresh air. Wear good shoes as some tracks are wet, bumpy, sandy and not paved. It's a nice long walk with uphills and different sections for different plants. Coffee trucks are around on weekends.

Mount Lofty Botanic Garden is an absolute treasure in the heart of South Australia. If you're a nature lover or simply seeking a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle, this garden is a must-visit.
The moment you step foot inside, you're greeted by a stunning array of native and exotic plants meticulously organized in beautiful landscapes. The well-maintained trails and pathways make it easy to explore the garden, and each turn reveals a new surprise of colors and scents.
The views from the top of the garden are breathtaking, especially when you visit during spring when the flowers are in full bloom. It's a photographer's dream, and every snapshot captures the natural beauty of this place.
The educational displays and signage are informative, providing insights into the unique flora of the region. It's not only a visual feast but also a learning experience for all ages.
Whether you're an avid gardener, a hiking enthusiast, or simply someone who appreciates the tranquility of nature, Mount Lofty Botanic Garden offers a serene and rejuvenating experience. I could spend hours here, and I plan to return many times in the future. Highly recommended!
Don't miss the chance to visit this botanical haven—it's a true gem of South Australia.

Amazing colours in Autumn! However, I reckon it would be a great place to visit any time of the year. There are a variety of walks - easy to medium. The lower carpark is the best option for the Autumn colours, otherwise you will be walking up hill to return to the upper carpark.
It does get very busy during school holidays and weekends, so I recommend an early start or visiting outside of these periods.
The maximum you need to pay for parking is $4, which is peanuts compared to the price of a cup of coffee these days.

Very nice park. Many options for picnic locations from wide open planes, to smaller clearings for more privacy. The lower car park is better for those that are looking to reach wider picnic areas while the upper car park is for the more private areas. As for sightseeing, there are many beautiful flowers and trees for you to witness. There also some local fauna: bandicoot, swans, ducks, etc.

Impeccably maintained garden which sprawls through the hills of the Mount Lofty ranges. The variety of plant species and themed 'gullies' were outstanding. You can take a short walk or a long hike but be warned as it is very easy to get lost as there are too many paths and not enough signs!

Beautiful gardens even on a grey day (like when we visited).
We walked around the entire gardens and this took about 1 hour. I would recommend taking a photo of the map, or printing one out prior to your visit as we found it a little tricky to work out which way to go.
Parking was free when we visited, as work was being done to the toilets (toilets were not open). Usually parking is paid.
Beautiful spot for a picnic on a sunny day.
The colours in Autumn are amazing (we visited at the end of March and wished we were a few weeks later to see the Autumn colours on show).

Whether you're taking a leisurely stroll or enjoying the serene surroundings, this garden offers a tranquil escape from the busyness of everyday life. I highly recommend visiting Mount Lofty Botanical Garden if you want to relax and immerse yourself in nature.

The time to visit is coming into Autum the vibrant colours are a must see site, some of the walking trails are steep so the elderly/disabled may want to check with information centre before starting certain trails. But it's a great family experience or even just yo experience nature.

Best places to spend time with family and kids as well. This is one of the best places to visit in Adelaide and the best time to visit during autumn season. Different colours of leaves made the place look like paradise and the scenic views were spectacular. We can get coffee over there but only cash is acceptable.

Great place to visit even on a cold and rainy day! Beautiful gardens, quiet, peaceful and great flora as well as fauna. Even from the car park we were able to spot some kangaroos. Some great walking trails and grassy areas perfect for picnics. The public toilets are very clean when compared to those at waterfall gully. Paid parking.

Mount Lofty botanic garden is a must-visit for anyone travelling or visiting Adelaide. Adelaide hills are full of wonders and spectacular scenery, but some spots, including this botanic garden, will amaze you at any time of the year with its colour full flora.
If you are visiting during weekend, there may be not enough parking space.

Lovely park! Easy parking with toilets. Stunning views. An abundance of flowers, bushes and trees. If one starts at the upper carpark all trails lead downhill. They are steep! Getting back to your vehicle will take considerably longer time, then it took leaving it. Still well worth the treck.

Being late April, there were few flowers in bloom, but the magnificent autumn foliage and it's contrast against a clear blue sky more than made up for it.
Miles of walking tracks, maps and seats provided on the way. As the sprinklers were on whilst we were there and with all the fallen leaves on the paths, it was a but treacherous to go down the steeper path sections, but nature is like that..

It's a pretty and peaceful garden to explore. Very spacious with large variety of plants. Nice spot for weddings or picnics. Saw a number of kangaroos roaming about. Admission is free. I would recommend parking in the lower carpark as the upper one is quite steep to get to and is a long way from the main sights.

Mt Lofty Botanical Gardens are beautiful with picturesque views. April is perfect for all the autumn colours. It was very busy during school holidays but the paths were quiet. To follow a particular loop was a little confusing, but it's a fantastic way to spend a day and lots of picnic areas.

Mount Lofty Botanic Garden is an absolute stunner with gorgeous views that took our breath away! 🌳 However, a heads up to fellow visitors — be ready for a serious workout, especially if you park at the top. The terrain is unexpectedly hilly, making it quite a challenge.
We learned this the hard way, but here's a pro tip: consider parking in the lower areas to catch a beautiful view of the lake. It not only saves you from an uphill trek but also provides a lovely perspective of the surroundings.
The exercise is no joke, and if you're not feeling up to it or aren't prepared for a hilly adventure, take it easy. The beauty of the garden is still accessible from various points, so you can tailor your visit based on your fitness level.
Overall, Mount Lofty Botanic Garden is a must-visit for nature enthusiasts, but just be ready to break a sweat if you park at the top!

Absolutely beautifull. We visited in April, on a Sunday. It was very busy but well worth it. The parking at the Upper parking entrance was completely full and the road approaching this entrance is very narrow. Steep decline to the duck pond from here and a tough short hike to get back- brilliant views, peaceful sureoundings and some good excersise.

We parked at the upper car park and walked down. A must visit place.

Not many prettier places I've been. The most relaxing place to draw and write, but also to hike if you're in the mood for something more strenuous. A great place to visit any time, with anyone. I've spent hours and hours here for an amazing day out
Gorge Wildlife Park is an Australian wildlife park located in the beautiful Blue Mountains. The park hosts a variety of animals such as koalas, wombats, dingoes, kangaroos and wallabies. There are also many rare albino species to be seen.
Such a beautiful wild life park. The animals are clearly loved and cared for and the staff are happy to talk about the animals and share their knowledge.
There is a petting zoo as well, where you can pat goats, baby ostriches, chickens, bunnies and anything else that may be in there at the time.
There is koala holding for a really cheap price and it's so rewarding! There's also free koala patting.

One of my favourite wildlife parks in SA. Been a few times before but we recently went back with our 7 month old bub and they've added new animals which was great. It's not a waste of time to come here since they have lots of wildlife to show, but especially love the camels.
Rej S. — Google review
Great Wildlife park off the main touristy track. Easy access from the main road with parking available on the street leading up to the park. The staff were very friendly. Arrive early if you want to get pictures holding a Koala as the spots fill up quickly. Fairly steep incline in some areas which involve a bit of climbing/descending. A great selection of animals given the smaller size of the park. Very well maintained and excellent value for money given the price of other similar sized wildlife parks. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Perfect setting. Excellent areas for animals, birds etc. Staff very helpful and informative. Kids would love it because you can go up & touch many animals, kangaroos, bird life, wallaby's & so much more. It's a must to visit 👍😉

Lovely wildlife park with an interesting array of native and exotic animals. Is definitely a fun day out and I recommend giving it at least half a day to get around and see it all. The only downside is I wish they had a lot more signs/ info for the animals, especially the birds.

Had visited twice since I came to Adelaide and what a wonderful experience ! Got to hold cutest Koala and I forgot all my worries ! Great place to have some vacay time with your kids or family ! Definitely a place for animal lovers !
You can call and book tickets for animal petting and holding sessions before you arrive as you might find them all sold early. Sharing some photos too ! I just love this place !!!

Love this place. The compound is not huge compared to many wildlife parks. Happy that the place is not crazy crowded with tourists. The park is nice and cosy with open spaces for many free roaming animals like the kangaroos, wallabies, peacock and a variety of birds. Highly recommended.

Great wildlife park in the nice rural area. There is a good variety of native animals and birds to watch here. The fun part would be feeding kangaroos, wallabies & camels which could be touched as well. Great coffee and pastries could be taken from the cafe inside the park. Highly recommended if you've got half a day to explore amazing creatures.

Awesome place with a fairly wide range of cute and interesting critters, some lovely spots for a picnic and tasty light snacks from the shop if you don't feel like packing your own food.
If you're interested in holding a koala I would recommend visiting earlier in the day as it is very popular and tickets for holding the koala get sold out pretty quickly.
Looking forward to the next visit.

A great experience overall. The park is close to the city and is a nice drive through the hills. The park itself has a good range of animals in decent habitats. The wall through open areas with kangaroos and wallabies are great as is the chance to pat or hold a koala.
Signage and a 'best path' through the park are lacking a bit. The signage was the most inconvenient, always interested to know more about the animals!

The wildlife park is such a good experience. Completely worth the 30 minute trip that it takes to get there from the city. There is a wide range of animals, both native and foreign species. The park also has lots of spots to sit and take in the wildlife at your own pace.
There is a cafe on the way in and the food is really well priced and very good. We had a hot chips and a hot dog which were both very good.
We also took our son in the pram and all the tracks were fine to use it on. He enjoyed seeing all the animals and I would say the park is for all ages.

The Gorge Conservation Park is an incredible destination! The diversity of animals offer a fantastic opportunity for us to connect with nature. Having drinking water and hand washing facilities conveniently placed throughout the park reflects a thoughtful approach to for comfort and hygiene.
An amazing cafe with reasonable prices is always a bonus and also to relax and enjoy some good food. The availability of picnic spaces and a great outdoor BBQ area adds to the allure of the park, offering us multiple options to enjoy our time outdoors.
Reasonable ticket prices make it accessible and overall, it is a wonderful place to spend time, whether it's for a day out with family, a peaceful picnic, or simply to immerse oneself in nature's beauty.

If you want a reasonably priced day out , then head to this place.
Cost $90 for 2 Adults and 4 kids aged over 3, we took our own lunch/snacks and drinks and spent a good 3.5hrs. Lots of picnic spots, and places to sit along the way for tired legs to take a break or shady spots for a mum to BF.
Toilets were clean, enclosures look beautifully kept.
Only down side is the koala holds sell out quick, so book ahead, but the bonus is you can still have a photo and pat for free.
Can't wait to come back, we saw a mum & son doing a meerkat experience, which is something we would love to do next time.

No place in Adelaide offers such an experience! It was my first time standing so up close to a Koala & even holding her in my hands. It was such a great feeling… While they have more to offer in terms of animals you can meet & feed. Had the opportunity to feed wallabies, kangaroos and even camel. Rest it’s a huge park with many reptiles, birds and other predator species to see. Also the baby penguins & the otter have my heart.

One of the best place I’ve ever been. Animals are very well taken care of and are very well relaxed!
We didn’t book the hug the koala in advance so we missed out. However there is a photo opportunity with the koala for the public so it’s not too bad.

Best Zoo in Adelaide!!
Holding Koala 🐨 for just $10. (11:30am & 2:30pm)
The main part I adore this zoo is that traffic flow is effectively well management. It’s kind of wild but also safe at the same time with different animals. (I thought I were in Jurassic Park for one second!)
Reasonable price with heaps of fun 🤩
The Big Rocking Horse is a popular tourist attraction in Gumeracha, located just outside of the city. The Horse was built in 1981 and is 18 metres tall, making it one of the tallest wooden structures in the world. The Horse is also famous for its large rocking horse, which is said to be able to move at a speed of up to 12 kilometers per hour.
What a wonderful few hours spent at the Big Rocking Horse. Nominal fees to climb up the World's Biggest Rocking Horse and to enter the petting zoo. Beautiful fauna and flora small little walk with the kiddos.
We also had lunch at the cafe and enjoyed it. Kids finished mostly everything.
The Toy Factory has really nice wooden stuff and naturally made items. Superb to pick birthday party favour or just something quirky for your home.

Plenty of parking, a playground, cafe, toyshop, petting zoo and picnic area. Could use some barbeques and a few extra tables and chairs in their grass area but all in all a good place for a wholesome family outing. Don't let the goats take your bag of feed.

After 5 years and a covid, the number of animals here seemly are not too many as before. But all animals in animal park are too cute and the smell is ok, not bad as i thought. It is only $4 for entrance fee and $2 for animal food. This is a good place to visit, relax and watch cute animals.

A great little gem to visit. Nice scenic drive. Cute wooden toys for sale. Nice sized animal enclosure to feed some goats, llamas, ducks, peacocks, an emu (who didn't want to take any food lol) and some wallabies to name a few. Give yourself about 1.5 - 2hrs here.
Also has a Cafe if you don't bring your own picnic. Heaps of parking, even for buses.
To climb the wooden horse, be ready to climb ladders. We mistakenly thought it was stairs all the way. It's not.

We were here on Sunday (23/07/2023). This is a place where kids and adults both can have a good time. The Big Rocking Horse claims to be the world's biggest of the sort! You can pay $2.00 to climb to the top of the Big Rocking Horse and get a certificate!! There is a small wild life park with a $4.00 entrance fee! Animal food bags you can buy for $2.00 each. There are a small range of animals but still good enough for a quick visit and to take photos with the animals and feed them. Snowy the Goat can be cheeky! There are Peacocks, Ducks, Wallabies, Kangaroos, Australian Alpacas, Goats and Emu. Not to forget the talking parrot! When we went to the park it started to rain so we had to go to the warm and welcoming cafe! Great service! Chips and gravy were so yummy on a cold and rainy day and the coffees/ chai latte were so good. Perfect temperature! When the rain stopped they let us go back to the park using the same ticket! All the staff at the souvenir shop, park and the cafe were so helpful and friendly! Souvenir shop got lot of interesting hand crafted toys and board games and a variety of souvenirs. A must visit place on the way to Barossa!

A lovely cafe to sit for a meal or beverage, or you can even go in to admire the wildlife animals , fun to feed them for only $2 a bag of food which is plenty for the furry friends to enjoy you. They even have a great toy shop you can grab yourself a little momentum or purchase a hand made wooden toy 🧸

An amazing place for the whole family to have fun, especially for the kids on weekends. The big rocking horse is quite scary for some adults because of its height but interesting for kids.
There is a toy factory and souvenir area with lots of pretty items. I have bought some magnetic and finger puppets as they're so cute.
The relatively airy cafe and bakery even sell ice cream and fairy floss. A simple zoo with gentle and friendly animals helps the kids get closer to nature. There is a small playground for children as well, with tables and chairs for everyone to rest in or a small picnic.
The parking lot is quite spacious and airy. The toilet is not so bright but clean enough.
Thanks!

It was a bit outdated , yet we had a lot of fun here.
$2 entry each to climb right to the top of the rocking horse , not advised for kids under 4 as the climb is up and down ladders. My 5 year old managed but was scary to watch from under her. However you also receive a certificate to say you climbed it. ( Great value for money.)
Also $ 2 entry each into the petting zoo and $2 for a bag of food to feed the animals .
Kangaroos , Goats , Llamas, Sheep and Peacocks !
We did this on a $10 budget for myself and one child.
Great value for money and some amazing pictures.
There is an on-site Cafe also the Toy factory which you go into to get to the animals.

The family-run farm shop, Beerenberg Farm, sells homemade jams and chutneys as well as strawberry picking in the autumn and winter. The farm is located in the Adelaide Hills and is a great place for kids to pick strawberries.
What a massive upgrade this place had. Love the modernised interior. Everything looks so posh now. They even expanded the ice cream section to include more flavours. Strawberry ice cream was so creamy and still the best. They even do shakes. But it was quite diluted. Strawberry farm for picking is just next door and they have very juicy and sweet strawberries.. Or you can just buy them right off the shelves.

If you like strawberry picking and jams, this is the best place to go. We have been coming here but this time is to get the jam for our families and friends who were just visiting Adelaide. They made a great revamped of the place as they added cafe for customers to enjoy the food and strawberries, made it bigger for the shop too. We loved the different jams like blueberry, strawberry, raspberry, blue honey, apricot and orange marmalade. Very delicious for a reasonable price. Worth it for giving gifts too!

Beerenberg is just beautiful. They have thought of everything in their renovations. The variety of products is extensive. The young lady who served our breakfast and then later provided us with tastings was friendly, knowledgeable and obliging. Breakfast was lovely although I wasn't a fan of the shortcrust pastry on the pie. My husband's rosti looked so good too. Can wait to come back with family.

This is a beautifully designed, and well appointed destination.
I'm so glad that we have something this worthy of a visit, not far from the city of Adelaide! I was wowed, thoroughly impressed by the renovations, since I was here last, while the cafe was under construction.
We spent an idyllic half a day here.
We started off with breakfast, then had our coffees, and desserts. Their house made ice creams and waffles, were a hit with the kids, and the plating really impressed me.
The kids had a lovely time picking strawberries. If intending to pick strawberries, definitely try to visit before the weather gets too warm.
After having our fill with the strawberries we picked by hand, we had lunch in the cafe.
The pies we tried, are touted to be made from the sauces, available for sale in store. They were bursting with flavour, A must try.
The staff were very polite, and helpful. They really made me feel at home.
I am sure SA is proud, to have such a quality establishment, that will be a pleasure for both tourists and locals.
Especially those with kids, who are looking for a lovely, fuss free, activity to entertain the little ones, for the school holidays.
I'm looking forward to come back again for the food, if not for the sweet freshly picked strawberries! 🍓
Well done, to the staff at Beerenberg!

It's part of the history how Adelaide started. 129 days' of sea voyage with 199 seasick German, led by a captain who needed to ask around on how to get there. Pleased to see the Paech family's success. The choc-coated strawberry is my top choice, truly delicious

Plenty of parking and a very well organised and beautiful experience.
We loved the scone with the botanical jams (we bought back the strawberry and rose) and the beef pie with beerenberg sauce was delicious. The teas are loose leaf and worked a treat with the scone.
You can buy the 30g mini jam jars for 90cents each... what a steal. I packed them into my socks for carry on purposes.
Would highly recommend visiting.

This is a tricky one. This is a place that you want to give a good review to as it has a lot of hype and it’s a cool place to visit.
The shop was good and it’s good to see all of the products that you can get. We bought some jams that you don’t see in the shops. So that’s positive.
However, the food and the dining experience let it down. The menu options are limited, there were no real dietary options and the food just didn’t taste as good as it sounds on paper.
It is also so busy, so expect a wait for a table.
On a positive, the staff were friendly and good to deal with. We will probably give this place a second try to see if this was just a bad day.

🍓🌿 Delightful Family Outing🌿🍓
If you're seeking a memorable outing that combines wholesome fun with delicious rewards, look no further than the Beerenberg strawberry farm. Nestled amidst picturesque Hahndorf German village, this farm offers an enchanting experience for families and friends alike. The $5 entry fee is a steal for the joy it brings. 🍓 Abundant, Juicy Strawberries!!! The star of the show, of course, are the strawberries themselves. Shiny, plump, and bursting with flavor, these strawberries are a testament to nature's bounty. At $11.99 per kilo, they're not just affordable but also an excellent value for their quality.
👩🌾 The best part? You get to be a part of the harvest! Pick your own strawberries straight from the bushes, with the freedom to indulge in a few along the way. It's an interactive experience that fosters a deeper connection with the food we eat.
After working up an appetite, head over to the on-site café for a delightful treat. Indulge in creamy, refreshing ice cream that perfectly complements the sweetness of the strawberries. It's the cherry on top of an already perfect outing.
👧👦 can have Kid-Friendly Fun here! our visit to the strawberry farm was an experience to cherish. It's more than just picking strawberries; it's about creating lasting memories with loved ones, savoring the simple joys of life, and appreciating the wonders of nature. We'll definitely be back for more berry bliss!

Beerenberg Farm is one of the oldest family owned jam , condiment and sauce in Australia.
Inside there’s a huge shop and cafe , they also offer a strawberry picking.
Please note that Strawberry picking is only available between November to April , start from 9 am to 4.15 pm.
This farm just one stop away by bus from Hahndorf Village ( German Village). We took a bus from city and it took around 1 hour to reach here.
Worth a visit when you’re around.

What an amazing place with variety of strawberry options. You may have a chocolate ice cream or dip your strawberry in sweet chocolate. Take their jam to your home if you like sweets in the morning. Even their chips taste different.
Thanks 😊

Had a really great time picking strawberries and they were really thick and sweet and great quality. Such a great activity to do with your partner or friend or family. Inside the building they have plenty of great little places inside selling fabulous produce. They have a lovely Cafe and lots of seating areas.

At first we didnt know this place, we stopped by just because we saw so many people picking something. So we stopped by and it was strawberry.
4 of us decided to go in and pick our own strawberry and it was the most sweet strawberry i ever eat. OMG it was really sweet like sweeeeett.
We end up bought 3kg strawberry for $12 per kg. 1 kg finished the same day, the other 1kg was not that sweet after over night. Dunno why. But we will come back again here, they have really nice and helpful staff.

Had an amazing time with my daughter and father strawberry picking last week. $5 entry fee for adults and children under 5 are free than $11.95kg. We went just before Valentine's Day and they had some many amazing red delicious strawberries 🍓
Definitely family friendly activity to do while they are open!!!
The Hahndorf Farm Barn is a great place to learn about farm animals in a fun and interactive way. You can ride horses, goats, and pigs, feed the animals, and learn about their life on the farm. The barn also has a wildlife park where you can see many different types of animals.
Great place for a few hours of fun. Kids loved this place! There’s a small shop at the front for ice cream too! There’s plenty animals kids would love. There are animal shows, please check before you go to time it right. Pony ride was the top attraction for my kids :). Tractor ride was quite fun for the parents too!

Will be nice to go here for dates, bring children, with family etc. So relaxing to see the farm.
The staffs also friendly and helpful. I wish they sell the fresh milk and eggs!

When my older children were small we went here quite a lot of times. We realised last week that my youngest had never been, so we planned a day out.
My older two, now 12 and 14 came as well.
My daughter fell in love with your chestnut mare and fed her all her food and day and talked to her❤
She was disappointed she was too old for a pony ride, i pointed out she was also far too big for the poor pony🤣
We all went on the tractor ride. My boys were slightly terrified of the cows🤣 but the rest of us thought they were adorable and so friendly.
It was a lovely surprise when the young lad driving the tractor stopped so we could see the cows. He also embarked on a lot of information about the cows as well as answering all the questions we had. He was delightful, friendly and knowledgeable.
We also thoroughly enjoyed the milking presentation and my daughter was brave enough to have a go. The boys stayed firmly in their seats😁.
Personally i loved seeing all your gorgeous roosters and wish i was able to keep all my boys instead of having to regime them all💔
All of your animals were a delight and friendly. Each of my children found an animal to love and my dad and i had a fabulous day.
A number of years ago you had a bit of a comedy routine for the milking presentation - I'm very very pleased you have moved on from that. The girls who presented it in a serious manner did an amazing job and were also lovely and knowledgeable.
I think we will be back again.
Thank you.

Wonderful place to visit, especially for children.
Some of the facilities could use upgrades.
My granddaughters were upset because they wanted a pony ride which is only on weekends, public and school holidays. At the time we went many children were still on school holidays.
Interaction with the animals is great.

We stayed at their Airbnb and what an experience. Seeing the sunset overlooking the mountains and beautiful scenery. The farm was another experience. It was so good to connect with animals and the view was also amazing. Close to Hahndorf village and town.

This a great place to go for little kids because the farm is not too big but still have enough animals and activities to keep children busy. They have babies animals to hold such as chicks and activities such as pony riding. Expect to play extra for some activities. Plenty of carpark. Friendly staff.

It is a great barn to visit especially for kids. We visited the place on a weekend that will be Saturday.
The area was really spacious however there will be fewer animals to see.
I had a mixed experience as i liked the experience of seeing the animals up close to be with them and also to feed them.
However, the charge per person was a bit high i felt as for me but it can be only for the betterment of the barn i suppose.
Also there aren’t much animals or birds to see here but an easing experience was to be shared.

If you want to see and feed some animals (goats, chickens etc), pet baby animals (lambs, calves etc) and maybe experience milking a cow, then I'm sure you'll love it. The overall atmosphere is that of a romanticised version of a farm and child friendly. They even have lizard enclosures, kangaroos and deer (sadly the latter two were hanging out in the shade when I was there, so I didn't want to disturb them). Overall the animals were friendlier than I was expecting

If you’re in South Australia, be sure to head out to the German influenced town of Hahndorf. Whilst in Hahndorf, we recommend visiting the Farm Barn with the family. It is a children’s farmyard and wildlife park but also a great place to play in the park and have a picnic.
Whilst in the park, you can hold, touch and feed most of the animals. In the first space are baby animals such as chicks, and lambs and you can go in their pens and hold them.
In the outdoor spaces, there’s animals to feed and oat such as cows, goats, deer, alpacas, ponies and more.
You can look in reptile cases and also see plenty of birds.
They also run a pretty corny led milking show and guests can have a go of milking the cow.
In addition, there’s plenty more for the kids to do such as ride a tractor, mini electric diggers in the sand pit (all at extra cost) and play in the park.
There’s lots to do and see, so you’ll probably find yourselves there are while so take food and settle in the bbq and picnic areas. It even caters to groups and birthday parties.
Staff were friendly and helpful. We did find it a bit pricy, especially when you pay extra for all the activities too. But it’s perfect for a fun day out for the kiddies.

Such a good day out! We spent the whole morning here petting and feeding the baby animals. My 3 year old was in love. The milking and the kids rides and playground were also a big hit.

Great for young and young at heart. Staff are awesome and engaging. Our family had a brilliant time interacting "hands on" with the farm animals. The added bonus being some wildlife as well with a couple of kangaroos and ostriches. We all loved seeing Daisy being milked and got to have a go. Been before and will go again! Awesome 👌

Spent 2hrs here visiting everything and doing 2 electric rides (far from a day out as they say) but a little overpriced.
If travelling over an hour, make sure you have made other plans for the day nearby.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at the Farm Barn house. We were a family group of 10 people, spanning 3 generations - 4 adults and 6 children. The property is well-appointed and catered to all our needs. The children had a fabulous time. They accompanied the staff each morning, to feed the lambs & calves, experienced milking a cow and held the chickens, ducklings and rabbits.
The extensive private garden provided the perfect place for the kids to run around. Thank you to Michael Farmer and the staff for looking after us.

A good place to have hand on experience with farm animals. You can buy animal food from the reception shop, go to different barns, pat the animals and fed them, and take some pictures. You can also go on tractor ride with the group and pat some cows. Lots of animals, including some snakes too. It just at the bus stops, which make more convenient for non drivers ❤️❤️ . They have a big space which you can hire for a small gathering and bring your own food or you can buy from the main Hahndorf street eateries.

Today was my daughter and my 23mth old grandson's first visit. It was my 7yr old granddaughter's 2nd visit. The experience was 'packed' with wonderful animal interactions. The staff are 10/10. Friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and humorous. The animals are healthy and child friendly.
I have enjoyed the Farm Varn experience over the last 10 years and am delighted to see it go from strength to strength.
Wishing all involved in the work required to maintain and provide such an excellent Family friendly Venue, every success in the future.
It provides a positive experience for children of all ages as well as the accompanying adults.
It enables it's visitors to engage with a Farm environment to whatever level each individual is comfortable with.

An excellent place to take children. It has many creatures great and small and they are mostly friendly and gentle with little kids.
The smaller ones inside the barn are great for little children and their older siblings. You can hold some of them not not feed them. That's only for the ones outside.
You'll need more than one bag of food to feed those animals, most of whom know the drill.
Unfortunately there were no horse rides this visit because we went during the week. But we still had fun. There are electric toy excavators and a small playground too.
Well worth the visit.
Prancing Pony Brewery has quickly become a prominent fixture in the local beer scene despite being only 10 years old. The brewery and restaurant, located just off the beaten path, offer visitors a chance to witness the magic behind their acclaimed fire-brewed ales. Recently relocated to a larger shed at 42 Mount Barker Rd, Totness, Prancing Pony continues to draw attention with its exceptional brews.
Popped in for a beer and some snacks. Cool industrial warehouse style brewery, with a few quirky design choices. Really tasty beer and yummy snacks. Introduced Dad to frickles for the first time!! Chicken was delicious too.
Rachael Angley — Google review
Our first visit to Prancing Pony Brewery promised an atmosphere of relaxation and culinary delights. Eager to sample their offerings, we ordered a variety of dishes, including meatball pasta, chicken tacos, and wings to share.
Unfortunately, the meatball pasta left much to be desired. Its taste was off, reminiscent of being reheated in a microwave, with dry meatballs and overcooked, mushy pasta. The chicken tacos fared slightly better but failed to leave a lasting impression.
The shared chicken wings were deemed average, lacking the wow factor we had hoped for. However, amidst the culinary letdowns, the saving grace of the evening was the Dizzy Donkey cider, a refreshing delight that stood out amidst the mediocrity.
As we washed down our meal with a less-than-pleasant cocktail, we couldn't help but regret our menu choices. The aroma of the pizzas being served to nearby tables only intensified our disappointment, as they appeared to be a more promising option.
In conclusion, while Prancing Pony Brewery offers a relaxed atmosphere and some standout beverages like the Dizzy Donkey cider, the food fell short of expectations. With regrets over our menu selections, we can't help but wonder if opting for the pizzas would have provided a more satisfying dining experience.

Prancing Pony is a beautiful brewery with a soul. They have a range from light and easy drinking to hippy and intense, and variations to satisfy almost every beer lovers palette. The service was friendly and while I didn't order any of the wood fired pizzas they looked very yummy!
Also some cows live right next door.

Went for a look see. Heard plenty about the place but never been before. Plenty of beer on tap. I'm a non drinker but my daughter tried out a few glasses. She enjoyed what was on offer. I tried it all as a sip but did nothing for me. It's nothing flash but I'm sure it would be a hoot and a holler on the night. They have quiz night on Wednesday and other things on given nights. It would be worth exploring. We did not eat there, early afternoon , but saw a few with take away and watched the end of the football between magpies and lions. Close game.

This is my new favorite local beer brand expertly brewed near Hahndorf. Friendly staff will help you through a nice selection of German style beers. I love the Helles beer and the Weisse bier is pretty good too. A special edition minikeg makes a great social addition to a festive gathering.

Brilliant food, even better beer, fairly priced, get a bunch of mates, order the wings, and enjoy quiz night on a Wednesday.
The apple cider is very good, made with 100% apple juice. The piper is also very nice.
I got to meet the owners a lovely couple who have made a great place for the local community to hang out.

We are tourists from Singapore, and our AirBnb host recommended Prancing Pony as being kid friendly and with good food.
We loved our afternoon 'tea' here. We had pumpkin soup, fries, and fried chicken fingers, all of which were excellent. The pumpkin soup in particular was outstanding - the pumpkin taste shone through, accentuated with a hint of herbs (parsley?), perfect for a cold and rainy winter's day
I loved the Piper West Coast ale as well - wonderfully hoppy with a delightful long bitter finish.
My kids couldn't stop devouring the fries and chicken fingers, both of which were tender inside and remarkably crispy outside.
Finally, service was prompt, professional, efficient, and always cheerful. Even the staff clearing our wiped-out plates did it with a smile. We regret we never got to know their names (feedback - give them some name tags?)
5 stars for sure, and we will recommend it to friends who pass through the area.

Came in today to celebrate 10 years of Prancing Pony. Was a great atmosphere, local radio outside ( games for the children ) Brilliant singer inside ( did not get his name ) Food was very tasty & plentiful. I had the wings for 1 & side of chips, had to bring some home was more than enough. Great beer as always also brought 4 tins home. Hope to be back in the New Year. Usually manage 1/2 a year but definitely more often, got to try the Pizza too

If you're out for some awesome beers and bites, this is definitely the place to be. Superb ambiance with friendly staff for sure. Many varieties of beer are brewed fresh on site. The best one would be the Indian red ale which has an outstanding flavor profile. Other types of beers like Zeppelin, Hopwork Orange and the Piper stand out closely as really good beers are best enjoyed ice cold. Suitable during the sweltering Australian summer. Chicken wings.. hmmm it really is out of this World. Do choose the honey soy or the spicy Buffalo wings. Finger licking good and the best compliment to the beer. There are many more food items on the menu worth trying as well. Pricing is quite reasonable for an awesome experience. Will definitely visit this place again in the near future.

It’s a wonderful place with a great vibe. Music, good food and crisp cold beer. A wide variety of their own brews. Staff were very friendly and recommended some brews to us.
Very good wine makers.
Enjoyed the casual work since their early days establishing vineyards and chasing Grape Harvesters with some long nights but all necessary to ensure quality wine.
Shiraz will always be my favourite drop.

Absolutely beautiful setting. We had booked an early Father's Day lunch last Saturday. We arrived to see a beautiful table prepared outside as requested. The grandchildren were welcomed by all staff. Everything was so clean and superbly presented. The seafood plate and pizzas were really good. The Dulcie sparkling and red blend Tamblyn complimented our food. Eva and her staff did an outstanding job. We will definitely return. One of our group joined the Wine Club while we were there ... he was so impressed with the quality of their wines
... particularly the reds. 5 stars all round. We really felt welcome and our day was made quite special by all at Bremertons.
Tip ... if you book in advance they will do all they can to be ready to welcome you.

Not dog friendly for those who wish to bring their dog. You can't have your dog at the seated table area outside, only on the lawn, and no barking!!. We weren't alowed to sit on the lawn in the shade with our dog because we were told that we had a table booked, so we had to sit at the table otherwise "walk ins" might think the table is vacant and they are too busy for that. We were also told that the lawn was reserved for another group (the staff yelled at us loudly in front of other customers to MOVE off the lawn because the other group were going to be there soon, no one showed up) This was the plan I overheard the staff saying behind the bar. Even though there was plenty of room, and the kids were happy playing in the shade, we had to move to our seats in the sun without our dog. Not very accommodating.
When standing at the bar to order, I could hear the staff talking loudly about me in an unkind way making me feel awful for even suggesting that we have a nice lunch on the lawn with 6 kids and 3 dogs.
Other customers watched in awe of the situation, and came up to ask if we were actually ok so that says a lot about the treatment from the staff.
We frequent the Langhorne Creek Wine region at least every two months and its not the first time we have been unsatisfied at Bremerton. The other wineries have 5/5 for staff service.

We enjoyed a superb afternoon of wine, gin & food here at Bremerton today. The cellar door area is just lovely, quite a large area all up, with indoor, covered outdoor & lawn options. The staff were all friendly, happy knowledgeable and prompt to serve us. We had the Mediterranean platter, Pâté and a pizza all were so fresh & tasty. They also did a gluten free pizza base with some garlic, oil & salt which was awesome. The Gin flights hit the spot with the ladies and we enjoyed the several wines we tasted (recommend the Sauv Blanc). Would like to have tried more wines but I was designated driver today!, will gladly return.

Probably one of the best known wineries in Langhorne Creek. Their range is incredible, and bespoke wines are amazing. A beautiful outdoor area, which is dog friendly, although we could only do tastings at the bar, so the dog owners remained outside and enjoyed a glass of Sauv in the afternoon sun. Open-range zoo featuring animals like cheetahs, lions, giraffes & rhinos, with hands-on experiences.
This place has always been amazing and it's gotten even better with the new visitors centre. The food is amazing, the tour guides are fantastic and its just an amazing experience seeing the animals not in small tiny cages like you do at your typical zoos. They are looked after so well.

Better to visit in the warmer weather, it's very exposed so getting out and walking in the permitted areas can be chilly if it's windy. Trips are conducted by bus because clearly, as an open range zoo you could end up being lunch for the lions or other carnivores. I was a bit disappointed because the bus was full and with everyone jockeying to get pictures, if the animals were on the opposite of the bus to where one was sitting it because difficult.

Amazing experience from start to end. We did the cheetah experience which also included park entrance. The experience was great, getting up close and personal and learning a lot about how these animals are looked after and the conservation efforts for them.
The park after that was just as good, with easy to navigate facilities and paths and informative guides on the busses and at the animal talks! Excellent all round.

Amazing experience. It's a must go place in Australia🇦🇺. The volunteers were very informative. Safari experience was amazing you can see all the exotic animals in the habitat real close. It's like Jurassic park feel when gates open and close.Only negative thing is wait between the buses.
Overall very nice 👍👏😊.

Pretty awesome to see the animals they have there.
I think if you took comfortable shoes and spent the whole day walking to see the animals instead of the bus, you might see the animals more clearly. On the bus they have it's hard to see over people's heads who are in the row over.
On the bus they have a man explaining things about the animals which I found interesting.
The three men who work on the bus were really nice. They even helped with putting my grandson's pram under the bus and taking bk out multiple times.
I enjoyed seeing the monkeys. They have such a big enclosure. It was actually snack time when we went to see them.
You can take your own food and drink as there are picnic tables to sit at if you don't want to buy food there.

This place brought me back to nature with an outstanding trail and wildlife environment. Actually we have 2 options : walking or sitting on the bus. I went on the public holiday so have to be in line for such a long time to wait for the bus in each station because if you choose the trail, there are 3 animals you cannot see. Absolutely will come back next time to enjoy a whole trail and revisit my animal friends.

Truly a once in a lifetime experience. Which is exactly what you expect from the largest safari park outside of Africa! There are so many different animals, each with a unique story that your tour guide will run you through as you drive through the park. The guides are knowledgeable and you can tell that they truly care about and have gotten to know the animals. We also saw emu's and an echidna walking around the park! This would be an excellent experience for any animal lover.

Great experience. The volunteers were very informative and enthusiastic. Only negative would be the wait between the buses (it was full from few stops so replacement buses had to be sent to pick up the passengers that were left to wait for the buses). Oh and the walking trails not friendly for prams, or any little ones that have only just started walking as it is uneven.

The cafe was fresh and clean with a great variety to order from and the gift shop was excellent in variety and price. I can't wait for the new white Africa exhibition. We will definitely be back....

We LOVE the Monarto Safari Park ♥️ Thank you to the staff for all your hard work and efforts in maintaining the park and keeping the animals healthy and happy.
It's a fantastic place for long weekend walks - a unique opportunity to recharge your batteries while enjoying the scenic views and connecting with fauna!
I recommend walking and only take the bus when you need to. If you are not rushing, then consider you'll need 3-4 hours if walking and not making long stops.
There are two cafes but note they close at around 3pm on weekends.

What an amazing day! I HIGHY RECOMMEND doing the animal experiences. We did the rhino, giraffe and 360 lion. Unfortunately the lions didn't come up to the cage but Monarto zoo re booked us and gave us free zoo access. Seeing the animals in large open spaces was fantastic such a great life for them. I'm 1000% going back and do the giraffe experience again! It is worth spending the extra money! Tour of behind public access was good and informative! Can't wait for the 3 elephants to have their new happier lives at Monarto soon and very much looking forward to staying at the still being built Monarto hotel!
A must see for young or old!

Excellent experience for young and old alike. Knowledgeable, friendly staff are there to assist. Great seeing a diverse range of animals roaming large expanses. Great to see the positive effect they are having on international breeding programs. Brilliant all round. Even the cafe was great.

Best to go on a day temperature wise, early to mid 20s.
Staff friendly, bus ride gets awesome views of the animals that you can't see from the platforms. Tour guide very knowledgeable.
Only critique is the first place to view was approx 20-30min walk. Should be closer so everyone is not waiting for a bus straight away.

Monarto Safari Park is a must-visit! The open spaces give the animals plenty of room to roam, creating a truly immersive experience. The variety of wildlife is impressive, and the guided tours offer fascinating insights. It's a fantastic day out for families and animal lovers alike!

Loved the experience especially for my son. The safari bus runs every 10 mins, however when we went, there was no waiting for the bus.
Ample parking and cafes inside the park. Can easily spend an entire day inside the park. Will definitely visit again. Highly recommended

An amazing experience especially if you have kids.
The tour guides are wonderful and explain the animals really well. The bus makes it perfect to get around as its 12km of walking. You can still get off the bus at certain points and back on if needed.

Overall, we enjoyed our experience at Monarto Zoo. The experience is like going on a safari.
We decided to walk to the outpost and catch a bus from there. The person serving at the outpost was extra slow, and it took over 30 minutes to serve us our hot chips.
Additionally, we recommend extra bus services as the buses were full and we couldn't get onto one. We had to line up at one of the bus stops for over 30 minutes before getting on a bus.
Peter A — Google review
This park is relatively new with alot of potential.
You have a choice to either walk the trails of abt 12kms in total, bus it around or use the stops to your advantage. Courtesy buses run every 10mins from certain areas.
I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit i decided to trade in my daily pass for an annual pass.
Now i can go back and capture the animals at my leisure.
Worth the visit and the price.

Had an awesome day at Monarto beautiful animals the volunteers all very friendly and full of interesting knowledge of the animals and their habitats the bus drivers are all friendly had a nice lunch even with the emu’s company lol. I will return when the elephants enclosure is up and running and they’re building a hotel overlooking the zoo which should be fantastic for tourism in SA. The giraffe feeding and the carnivore display from the zoo keepers were sensational !!

Absolutely amazing experience. The park is well maintained, and great to see animals in a bit more natural habitat. Keepers are knowledgeable and volunteers very passionate. A lot of play areas for the kids, as well as clean bathrooms readily available. Well worth a visit!
What a great cruise we had today, from the moment we boarded to disembarking it will be a memorable day. The staff were all happy and did an amazing job serving many guests, the meals were of a good size many choices, a 2 course lunch is included in the tour price, thanks yo the captain for his great commentary along the Murray River,

It was such a lovely experience and a fantastic way to spend 3 hours. The staff are so lovely and helpful.
Really cool getting to see the paddle boat run from the window in the women’s toot.
Even though my fish looked a bit sad it was still actually very yummy which took me by surprise because I wasn’t sure with how it looked but it was perfect and tasted delicious.
I was a little disappointed that the chives were dried and not fresh because that would have been visually pleasing and it would have added to the flavour more.
But overall a great experience!

Did the value Tuesday cruise and thoroughly enjoyed it.
It's a nice cruise up and down the Murray with an informative but not incessant commentary.
The lunch exceeded our expectations in quality, flavour and quantity - all efficiently served hot and fresh.
My coeliac/gluten free wife had so many options and raved about her gluten free battered fish - the batter was so light and crispy.
Recommended for a relaxed 3 hours on the mighty Murray.

Our group had a fabulous time on a sunny Sunday afternoon on board the CaptainProud Paddle boat.
All the staff were friendly and welcoming. We sailed on time and had an enjoyable and relaxed afternoon, taking in the spectacular views.
Our lunch was freshly cooked on board, and the grilled fish, home made apple crumble, and fruit salad were all delicious.
We were lucky to be entertained by two talented musicians on our trip. A bonus for sure!
Good value for money and a comfortable way to cruise down the Murray River.

Would recommend, it was a lovely up and down stream paddle boat for 2 course lunch. The meals were awesome, plus bar at your own cost so relaxing. In good hands with Captain Steven. He had a great sense of humour and was very informative of the history of the Murray river and Murray bridge. Had such a good but relaxing time.

The Mrs and me had a great leisurely lunch cruise. The boat and facilities were great and the food and drinks even better. Maybe add some craft beers to the menu eh? The views along the mighty Murray as you cruise by at a slow pace are great to take in, and the informative commentary described a number of interesting facts along the way. Definitely recommend it for a feed and a nice relaxing day out.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Had a great time just walking around have a good look at it all. Well worth the money

If you like old stuff and seeing how people of the past lived you'll enjoy this place. If you're into creative photography you'll like this place. If you're a family looking for entertainment go someplace else to be honest. Costs you $28/adult to go in for a look. I can see that it would have been fantastic at some point but sadly it would seem resources and labour don't permit proper maintenance and the place is deteriorating. A lot of history will soon be lost. It'll be an awesome clearing sale though! Go see it while it survives. Its elderly owner is doing what he can.
Paul Pavlinovich — Google review
It wasn’t too busy or crowded when we stopped by so we didn’t have to wait to enter, although there was a school bus touring and only several others so it wasn’t overly crowded so we got space and time to thoroughly explore the village.
Give yourself at least 2 hours to get through the whole village and soak in all the information.
If you’re a bad hay-fever sufferer ensure to take your antihistamines beforehand.
We didn’t book in advance and paid $60 entry fee for a family (4) that included coffee and cake with an adult entrance. We did a self tour, no time limey, however if you’re wanted a guided tour, book in advance.
Bring your own backpack with drinks & snacks recommended if you have younger kids for the duration of time to explore the grounds.

What a place, please, everyone, you have to support this place as it will close down if we don't. So many interesting things to see, I didn't put half my photos on as I had to leave something as a surprise when you go there. If you have a tiny waistline, you can hire the outfits for $5.00 that they used to were in that era. There is tea and coffee and biscuits for sale and reasonable priced souvenirs for sale.
If you like my ratings, please follow me.

This place is one of a kind in SA, curating all sorts of history and allowing close up inspection / interaction with artefacts.
Unfortunately, it is in a state of decline, with countless rotten wood features, broken glass, termite damage, trip hazards, and spiders nests. Visit while you can, I'd expect it to be bulldozed within 20 years as restoration would cost a huge amount.
It was about 60% run-down exhibits and 40% junk.
A bit costly at $60/family for what you get.

My toddler and I loved it here and spent a good 3 hrs soaking it all in. My son was particularly interested in the old vehicles. We stopped in the old hall for a snack break too. I'm keen to go back next time I'm up that way.

For my wife & I this was our second visit to this Pioneer Village. It has grown in size since then & still a great display of how life was in the 1800 & 1900’s. In my opinion it’s a bit expensive for what’s there & disappointing it hasn’t been upgraded to accomodate wheelchair access & in fact anyone with bad knees etc will struggle to view a number of the buildings on display, with some paths presenting challengers. If they had Light & Sound displays similar to Swan Hill Pioneer Settlement & Ballarats Sovereign Hill to really bring the place to life would improve it immensely.
I still really enjoy this place & recommend it but it does need a few changers to make it sensational.

Another one of them places we have driven past for years, and decided we might have a look,
We were not left disappointed, place is busting at the seams with old time memorabilia, if you like spending hours walking through places looking at they history of the area, old cars, trucks, etc, this place is a must.
Churches, barns, houses, dentist, doctors, bakery, mechanics, fire station, police station, cemetery,
Trains are just a few out of 100+ shops/houses etc from yesteryear
Well worth the stop, alow 2-4 hours,

Absolutely love this place! I used to go as a child and now I bring my own children here. They loved the old buildings, history and had fun exploring.
The people who run the place have been there since day 1!!!!
Unique and one of a kind!!!
The donations of buildings and items shows amazing community unity and they are always updating some of them with a fresh bit of paint etc.

While driving towards Adelaide saw in passing expected it to be old vehicle collection. On our return once again saw it pass by but decided to turn back and it was the right decision.
It's amazing recreation of an old town by brining in different old structures from various parts of the country. The recreation was not only structures but also the interiors to create realtime experience of those years. The collection was not limited to structures but the crockery, artifacts, furniture, appliances, vehicles, teams, train coaches and so on including a cemetery. Noel, caretaker and creator of the town was very enthusiastic, he provided information, and history and what one should not miss while walking around.
Overall an unforgettable experience and time we'll spent. Thanks to Noel & Peter.

Amazing Pioneer Town with streets and buildings furnished appropriately to the era. Period music plays as you wander round which adds to the atmosphere. Buildings and contents sourced from all over Australia and brought together to create this experience by the owner Peter Squires who graciously and proudly gave us a short tour as the attraction was about to close when we arrived. Well worth a visit and could easily spend couple of hours exploring.

Take the time to stop and call in, there's such an amazing collection of Australian history there. We spent 5 hours strolling around, don't forget to bring your lunch! I loved the old dance hall and the hotel, the buildings are original and have been moved to the village for your enjoyment. The railway signals and fire engine collection are incredible, not to mention the wooden speedboat collection, the facinating engines, an old Glenelg tram and the iconic Balfours pie cart!!

Such a good collection of antiques slowly going to ruin :( . It's a good place but has so much more potential to be something terrific it would be great to see someone or something step in and fund it's revival . Could easily be as good as a sovereign hill the basics are all there .

A great day out at Old Tailem Town today. So much history & can't begin to imagine how many years it has taken the owners to build/create and collect so many pieces from the past for everyone to enjoy. Just went today and little bit dry out. Its a nice scenary and worth to stop for a while. Its difficult to take a picture to refect the pink color of the lake but you can enjoy from your eyes. A good stop along the way to Adelaide!
KYTwins — Google review
The lake wasn't pink due to lack of water. However, it was nice to appreciate nature.
Irene Tan — Google review
Well, it wasn’t pink. Guess we were too late into the summer when we visited. A month earlier would’ve seen some water, which I guess gives the lake its bright pink colour. The water had evaporated when we visited on Jan 20th.
We walked about 200 meters from the road onto the dry lake bed to try to get a good picture, but the soil was pretty damp, so our shoes got really messy. 🙂
There’s very little side-of-the-road parking. Probably for 4-5 cars only. Be careful while getting back on the road since cars are going really fast there and you’ll need to pick up speed really quickly to keep the flow of traffic going.
The drive’s pleasant if the weather’s good.
Rahul Rao — Google review
It's a lake with a pink hue. Pretty far back from the road atm and very thick and sticky mud underfoot this time of year, so probably not worth stopping until it's a bit warmer and the blooms are in full force.
Safely pull off the road on either side, signs saying no vehicles are saying "don't drive past this point" (Don't drive into the mud) not 'don't stop here' lol

Pink Lake (historically known as Lake Lochiel) is a small, circular, salty pink lake on the Western Highway just north of Dimboola in Australia. Granville Stapylton, part of the explorer Thomas Mitchell's 1836 expedition into western Victoria, reconnoitered Pink Lake on 20 July 1836.
Location in Victoria
Location Dimboola, Victoria Coordinates 36°25′05″S 141°57′40″E
Type Salt lake Basin
countries Australia
Max. length 2 km (1 mi)
Max. width 2 km (1 mi)
Surface area 45 ha (111 acres)
Surface elevation 250 m (820 ft)
The lake received its name from its distinctive pink colour. The brightness of the hue varies according to the level of rainfall. Until recently it was assumed that red algae created the pink hue; however, recent research reported by Australian Geographic describes the colour as result of a pigment produced by the Salinibacter ruber bacteria. A rest-stop overlooks the lake's basin.
Salt has been harvested from the lake since the 1860s and on average 20 tonnes a year are harvested by the Mount Zero Olive company working in conjunction with the Barengi Gadjin Land Council. Commercial harvesting stopped in the 1970s but was resumed after negotiations between the Victorian State government, the Barengi Gadjin Land Council and the Mount Zero Olive Company in 2009.

Great place to see some natural wonders in our own South Australian outback. Unfortunately it was dry when we'd visited in early January but still the lake bed was pink enough to enjoy
Ish Ahmed — Google review
Passing by on April 25th,
despite its pink signboard, I would still consider it a fake and not as pink as expected
袁明玥 — Google review
Easy to stop and look at the lake as you're driving into the Coorong. The water level seems pretty low at the moment, but still has a good pink colour. It's hard to take a photo of the pink lake because it's so flat, it's much better in person than the photos. Walking on the salt is fun, just be prepared to get your feet wet. I was fine in hiking boots.
Sad to see that people have left toilet paper, wipes and tissues scattered along the carpark. They take years to disintegrate and really spoil the environment.
Hannah B — Google review
Passing by the Pink Lake, the water appears somewhat pink under the evening sunlight. It's likely even more stunning on a sunny summer day. There isn't a large parking area here, so it's a good idea to slow down and prepare for parking in advance.

Beautiful Natural phenomenon - note : the lake appears true pink if it's clear skies and if the water is but more than your ankle height.
On the day we visited it was passing clouds and water level was quite low - even then look the photos for the beauty it beholds !
Guys, don't forget to collect some salt while you are there - it's the best :)

Coonalpyn Silo Mural
Visited on 20/6/2019
After leaving Victor Harbor, we arrive at the site of the silos. We park across the road where the Coolnalpyn Uniting Church is, although there is a large dedicated parking area on the same side of the road as the silo.
These 30-metre silos belong to Viterra, and are fully operational. There are 10 silos, arranged in two rows.
They are painted in white, and used as the canvas for the large murals. The aim for the mural project is about "rural renewal through the arts"
The gigantic paintings depict five Coonalpyn Primary School children in various poses.
This is the first time I come across silo art. In my future adventure, I shall make an effort to visit other silo art sites.
Sin Fong Chan — Google review
Very, very impressive silo art and overall an accommodating rest stop. Collectors like me and most other visitors enjoy taking photos as well as just admiring them, so could the people who plan everything, try to not to have 101 bits and pieces in the way so we can get a clean shot? A rubbish bin, a wifi sign, a P sign, 2 "no entry" signs, a "no standing" sign, a pedestrian crossing sign and a "Proud supporter" sign !!!! I know its Street Art and all, but this is an indicator that people just don't think.

Fantastic accommodation for families. Lovely hosts and facilities. Highly recommended staying here which had all the amenities. Highlight was having the wide open space for the children to safely roam and explore the animals. I don't know why we hadn't considered farm stays earlier. We used this as our getaway and to break up the Adelaide-Melbourne route.

Beautiful place for game lovers. This place carries 80 years history of pinballs. Each game will cost you only $2. On the way to Adelaide. Stop over for 15 minutes. Take a break and play and continue your driving again 😀

Excellent collection of machines, and could have spent HOURS inside.
If you don’t plan on playing, make a donation (there’s a little box on the window to the left as you enter). A lot of time, love and care has gone into this place.
Quick notes -
1. It is cash only. They have a machine to swap notes into tokens but no ATM. Closest is about 1.5km in town.
2. The motel might be able to help but they don’t open until 2pm

A fantastic place to visit. The only Pinball Museum in Australia and it is great. The machines start at around 1932 onwards to recent models and are frequently changed over. Buy tokens and play that is the best bit - nearly every machine can be played. There is also an amazing collection of autographed pinball artwork and historical memorabilia. A truly well laid out display housed in part of the Oasis Motel, Nhill. We met one of the owners/collectors who is so friendly, interesting and knowledgeable. These guys really know their stuff. It was clean and well maintained. A great destination for a variety of generations. Either drop in on your way from Adelaide to Melbourne or do an overnight stay or two. Well worth the visit. A great laugh with the family. Highly recommend if there is an interest in these arcade games.

My partner and I are in Nhill for a couple of nights on the way to Adelaide. The pinball museum was a big reason we decided to stay here. And we were not disappointed.
On arrival we were given a personal tour and the machines were explained. Some of the machines were not able to be played but that’s fair enough considering they are over 70 years old.
Those that we could play (which was a huge majority) were so much fun. We actually spent a few hours here.
Who knew pinball could be a health hazard? We played so much I think I have RSI and I twisted my knee, I got so excited!
Seriously this was a fun day out. I highly recommend it.

Stopped on our way from Melbourne to Adelaide. The whole family convoy stopped on my request and all had a great ~30 min break. Owner was really nice and had a chat. Genuinely passionate about pinball. There’s a cash machine to change notes to tokens, and some pinball swag in their shop. It’s attached to a motel (museum located in the original caretakers house?), so you can use it as your overnight stopover as well. I originally heard about the museum at their PAX stall. See you again in October at this years PAX

Worth stopping at if driving through Nhill. Lots of cool machines, souvenirs and information. I suck at pinball but still had plenty of fun. I like that the entrance to the museum itself has a couple of giant flippers.

This place is a must stop for a sweet taste of Nostalgia as well as a whole heap of fun. We stopped in here enroute to Adelaide. Allow at least an hour if you really want to explore the games and have a play. I think we stopped there for nearly 2 hours. An amazing collection of new old and everything in between. We even stopped on the way back and smashed out a few more games. Had a great chat to the owner and learnt lots too. It's well worth the visit.

Lots of fun! Brings back great memories and it is cool to share the experience with the next generation. Neat and clean. There is a toilet and a change machine for swapping notes and coins in to tokens of you don't have $1 and $2 coins. Unfortunately there were no facilities to buy tokens with card.
The pinball museum opens at 11am but if you stay overnight in the Oasis Motel they are happy to open it up earlier for you.
Well worth a visit or two!

It's a wonderful place. I didn't think there would be a place like this in nhill. It's a lot of pinball machines. Both old and new The cost to play is 1-2 dollars per game. Go with friends, very fun, will go back again.

This place is great. Pinballs from 1900s. Arcade games. Friendly staff who are happy to give you a tour. They have the latest pinballs as well. We always try to stop over when travelling from SA to VIC or vice versa. Kids love playing the arcade games and the hand football.

Great way to waste a day. We only stayed a little while but could have stayed so much longer. You can play the machines as you like or get a day ticket for $20 (I think) and play the machines at your leisure all day! Definitely the way to go.
Rock formation rising 140m above the plains & offering hiking, bouldering & free climbing.
Stunning. Really great to take in on the drive past and enticed a closer visit to the summit as well. Worth a stop to admire the natural beauty.

Beautiful area for walking relaxing and photography road up is good but narrow not difficult at all just beware of cars coming the other way some tend to think there invincible.
And that speed limits are for others not them.
Campgrounds looked full but didnt stay so cant comment.
Rock climbers were out in force and enjoyed watching them scale the cliffs but not for me 🤣🤣
Highly recommended just take care .

We almost left Natimuk with out going to Mt Arapiles and thank goodness our Air BnB host told us to go! The rock faces are amazing - if you are a climber, it is a must. Otherwise simply taking in the view of the ever so FLAT country surrounds was beautiful.

Climbed here a few times in 2010 when I lived in Australia doing part of my PhD between University of Melbourne and University of California, Santa Barbara. Arapiles is where I did my first Australian trad climbs. Spicy sendfesting here - check it out if you like mother nature, climbing, hiking, and being outdoors in the rugged Aussie landscape.

Lovely sepia tones set the stage of rural regions of Victoria and the rugged life it holds for the people who work and live it.

Sometimes simplicity is good - while the detail of this artwork was amazing the colours used that resembled the country around here made it even more impressive.

The Original Silo Art piece which is easily accessed and viewed. A small parking area across the road is the best spot to pull in with parking for caravans and cars and several shady picnic shelters and tables available also.

These GrainCorp silos were built in 1939 and are now decommissioned.
Artist Guido van Helten’s, finished his artwork in 2016, depicting four female and male farmers of the Wimmera Mallee region.
The Brim Grain Silo's were the first to be painted, and its success inspired the establishment of the Silo Art Trail.

Was a great day going to see the art work.....we made it to 3 of them and wished we did the rest but will do on the next trip up....well worth a visit though.

Great silo art! Brim maybe a little out of your way, but with a little forethought it's easy to work into your trip plan.

The father of all silo arts in Australia! This mighty silo art started the chain reaction of silo arts across Australia. It was painted by the Brisbane Street artist Guido van Helten in 2015. This is now one of the 6 silo arts in the 200km silo arts trail from Melbourne. I am so proud of our great artists, bringing out the souls of the very village they represent - the many many remote little towns and communities that adds so much depth, history and meaning to what the huge Australia continent is all about! Little little places where big crops grow, providing food to Australia and beyond! I just love getting out there, giving them whatever support aiming for a self sustaining Australia!
An 8-acre landscaped garden dating back to the late 1800's with rose gardens, picnic & play areas.
Staying next door and had a leisurely walk when the rain stopped. Lovely garden. Look well maintained! Double thumbs up to the care taker👍👍😃
Very clean, neat and tidy👍👍. Free entry to the garden. Some of the plants starting showing changing colour, when they fully changed, it would be more beautiful!
Perfect place for family picnic. Toilets provided. I think there are 3 entrances to the park. Plenty of parkings. Unfortunately no dogs allowed tho.
Highly recommend this when you come to the area.

Horsham Botanical Gardens
An excellent example of what a Botanic Gardens should be. Beautiful and educational. There hasn’t been much water so the park is struggling but considering it’s in great shape. The gardens is not only educational In the way of plants but also of the people of the Horsham district both past and present. The park is completely wheel chair accessible with something to see in every season and has plenty of different kinds of seating. Adjacent to the gardens is a good playground with BBQs I imagine that the gardens are popular for weddings and parties, anything really. The lawns are so perfect with large and small trees

A must see place in Horsham. For that matter you can't go past this beautiful botanical garden without noticing it (if driving towards Anzac centenary bridge, Weir park, etc.) A well manicured, well maintained botanical garden with variety of Flowers, shrubs, plants, trees etc makes for an enjoyable walkabout. There's also a children's playground and barbeque area with toilet facilities etc towards the rear side of this botanical garden. Overall, it's a Good place to spend some time in Horsham.

If your a local or popping into Horsham it’s a great place to spot there’s coffee and hot chips around the corner and it’s a very inviting and beautiful place to be at but the only down side is no dogs but other than that it’s great for kids, playgrounds and chairs and it’s a amazing and beautiful place to be!

It has tolets and electric barbeques.
Nice open spaces to relax on and seats for resting.
The kids play area is fantastic.
Equipment for young toddlers through to young adults.
Far from roads, space to kick a ball, shaded play equipment, barbecues and toilets right next door.

Very well tended gardens. A delightful spot for a stroll on a hot day, or a picnic with family and friends. Often used for children's birthday parties.
Great place to come on a drive and sit down and relax and have a bit to eat or just look at the great artwork painted onto the silos.

The drive to get here is through farming areas with narrow roads. Slow down for any traffic. Look out for motorcycles. Many wind turbines to look at around this area. The painted silo's are very well done. Disused rail line behind silo's. Great for taking pics.

Worth the small detour off the 'main' road, the colours are vibrant, the art is breathtaking.

Our favourite of 3 silos visited. The drive through the towns is well worth it for architecture of buildings and what would have been bustling little towns in times gone by. Unfortunately not much happening nowadays which is sad. It needs more visitors!!

My favourite silo art! I’ve seen some other ones but when I saw the Graincorp Sheep Hills Silo Art, I was overwhelmed with the scale of the silo and the colours were breathtaking. This artwork is great for photos too 📸 it was worth driving all the way from Melbourne!

Truly one of a kind artwork, the elders and the two children, the generations of people who own the land. A landmark to celebrate the land, the stars, the beauty and the beliefs. The artwork is respectful about the past, hopeful about the future and will transcend the generations to come. The color selection is awesome. What's even more wonderful, is the day expressions on the faces.

The colours were stunning, the story behind the art amazing, this silo also has a visitor’s book, which we signed.
Plenty of parking space available and also the opportunity to stretch your legs between your silo stops.

Great experience. Cameron gave us the full instructions, and you could tell he has had years of experience. He managed to turn a few beginners into congident riders in just two hours. Horses were great, tailored for the different levels in the group. Does not matter what your level is, if you want to ride, this is the place for you!

During our trip around Australia for the last 6 months I've been keeping a keen eye out for a trail riding experience that would engage my husband despite his disinterest in horsemanship and this place jumped out at me. Cameron is an amazing trainer and taught the group on how to control his beautiful horses as well as how to trot (3 ways) and canter (2 ways). We always felt safe but there was an element of freedom that my husband really took to and he was soon out trotting and out cantering me. I asked him if he liked horses now and got a resounding "they're alright". I also asked if he'd be happy to go riding again in the next 6 months and he said yes! It's taken me nearly 10 years to get him on a horse so I'm absolutely stoked. Thank you so much Cameron for a beautiful ride and for your knowledge and help.

If you are planning on visiting the Grampians, I would highly recommend Cameron and Sandra’s Grampians Horse Riding Centre, just a wonderful experience.
Cameron and Sandra were an absolute pleasure to deal with. I advised them I can’t call as my partner is right next to me, so we just messaged on FB, and they went above and beyond and found us a suitable spot. I surprised my partner as she loves horses and she loved it so much, it honestly made her day.
Cameron genuinely knows what he is doing and the horses are well looked after, I might be a bit biased, but Alfie was the best horse.
The views and terrain were amazing, definitely recommend this for anyone visiting the Grampians.

Where to start... beautiful scenery, beautiful well educated horses and an awesome experience. Our guide Cameron catered to our every need and made it fun for everyone as we had experienced and beginner riders in our group. If you're after good quality horsemanship, up for learning something new and having an absolute ball... book 10 times over. Because I would go back in a heart beat.

Don’t miss this one…
Cameron & son Angus were knowledgeable, friendly and approachable hosts. Imparting horsemanship also giving much needed confidence to our young ladies (12yo) one, being a complete novice and the other an intermediate pony club rider.
Both riders were able to enjoy this ride at their respective levels and come away with smiles for days.
An intimate group of 5 riders only plus Cameron & Angus allowed the girls to go independently without us parents nagging.
Purchase their ‘first for horses’ book complied and written by Cameron as it has a wealth of knowledge for everyone.
Highly recommend, we will return when in the area.

Fantastic! Cameron will teach you everything you need to know to be confident horse riding. We enjoyed the complementary overnight camping in the beautiful remote location the night before the ride. Highly recommend!

This is more than just your average trail riding centre. If you enjoy well educated quality horses then this is for you. Safety is always a priority but balanced with fun engaging exercises. Cameron respects his horses and expects you to do the same. He has a wealth of equine knowledge to offer if you're willing to be educated and is not afraid to keep you in check or alternatively allow you to ride ahead if capable. The scenery is magic and you will come away refreshed and more confident in your skills.
We had a group of four riders from absolute beginner to rusty old keen 'wanna be' and all thoroughly beamed after our ride!
Can't wait to have the privilege to ride with you again Cameron. Good luck with those non equine ventures and hope you have recovered from those renovation induced injuries;).

Trail leader Cameron has an enormous wealth of knowledge to pass forward through the connection between human and horse. He has a genuine interest in teaching you how to effectively connect with you horse in order to improve your riding experience thus inevitably improve your life experience. He expresses himself beautifully and the teachings he gives you is worth far more than what you'll pay. The horses are cared for to a triple gold star standard which shines through on your ride with them. They are alert, independent thinking animals and show a zest for life that is unmatched at other trail riding facilities. I rode Sailer just recently and he was so kind and patient with me, allowing me to lead him and in turn leading me where I failed to understand, effectively teaching me on the go, what a gracious animal. He was not the most affectionate horse, politely asserting his unwillingness for cuddles before and after the ride while still affording me a chance to show him I have what it takes to lead him through the grampians bush. I hope he was half as impressed with me as I was with him. It's safe to assume I have love and gratitude that this facility operates and hope to see it's continued operation for decades to come.

Lovely art.
Read the literature available in the small shelter directly across from this silo and you will learn about other attractions this small town has to offer.
There is an art trail on the perpendicular street to this silo, which we walked along as well. That street also houses the local IGA and clean public toilets.
Patrick Silveira — Google review
Closer to Horsham and Murtao, it's the smallest of all the silo arts, but a more special one in retrospective. It's easier to draw on a blank canvas. But blending into the background color, coming up with such a realistic piece of art, is not an easy task. The faces in the painting are so relatable. It's well informed along the route and easier to find. It's a small town but a beautiful one.
I would suggest, starting from your trip from this one.
