First time back for quite awhile. Had flake chips and potato cakes, all cooked to perfection. Order ready when I arrived to pick it up. Delicious 😋😋😋😋😋

Falsely advertised prices and very rude people. Small pizza advertised online and in store for $13.50. When ordered we were charged $14. When questioned were told there were more prices on the board than pizzas (irrelevant) and that his system said $14 so that was the price. Only when photo taken of menu board did dark haired woman storm over and demand to know price difference and slam 50 cents on counter. Pizza itself was mediocre at best. How many people have they ripped off this way?
As to reply: not sure how we were apparently rude we were just asking the question, had this been explained to us at the time we may have been more understanding but the reply we got along with the attitude was unbelievable.

I have always left good reviews in the past for Big Lizzie, regardless of mistakes and there has been several throughout the years.
However this time it is absolutely unacceptable.
My parter has been up all night vomiting as she is allergic to onion.
The number 17 is not even meant to have ONION so we shouldn't even have to ask for NO ONION on it.
We will never order here again.
The pizzas and service have really gone downhill in the past few years.

Food is quite tasteless for the price. But if you're desperate, they deliver locally

Hi
Tonight we had fish n chips from Big Lizzie Red Cliffs .
I just wanted to let you know whilst we are appreciative of the hard work that you put in, (I know as I used to work in a fish n chip shop in Melbourne) I do have to say that we were disappointed, especially the fried food.
It was overcooked, very fatty and the potato cakes were very paper thin, almost to the extent of just eating batter.
It was not enjoyable.
I also understand that it is a fast food shop, but I believe the cooking skills leaves alot to be desired.
I am in no way trying to cause any problems, but I do believe in better service in this way.
We did spend almost $60 for 2 people and we think it could have been a whole lot better.
With that said we did enjoy the souvlaki and the hamburger.
Thankyou
I would like to add a photo but there is no provision for one.

First visit, first impression,,,,totally clean and a fabulous selection of pizzas combined with the fish and chips and hamburger options. Will become a regular customer.
The Big Lizzie from the menu was great

Ordered a medium and large delivered cost 63.50 $ not happy pizza sloppy no little chair so half pizza stuck to lid said 45 minutes delivery time 1hour 15 later it arrived there very over priced I'm local but I think I'll drive to Mildura get a better deal better pizza and cost half what I paid would not recommend

Great service, wonderful food, prompt delivery. Five stars all around.

Absolutely love this place, order there once a week. Chips are always soft and fluffy on the inside while crispy on the outside, the pizzas they make are top notch, and their schnitzel burgers are the best thing I ever had.
Lauchlan Scase — Google review
I’m gluten free so battered fish is off the menu for me. The very last houghful girl behind the counter offered me a grilled fish and just prior to serving it up realises grilled fish is floured. She alerted me and offered to cook again without flour which I really appreciated. 10 points for thinking if he customer.

First and last time order. In a party of 6 people, different orders, delivered. The only good thing I can say it was delivered on time. When you sit opposite a friend and she picks up a potato cake and the oil, oozes down her fingers you are in shock. My first bight of my normal hamburger, omg, pink inside the burger only browned on the outside, bun not toasted, limp lettuce. I was so embarrassed, the only good burger was a steak burger. No second chances with me. So two plain hamburgers and 1/3 share of delivery came to $31.75 thereabouts. Hopefully when they take over Pans at Gol Gol where I live, they live up to the high standard Pans have performed. BTW, as a daughter who helped her parents in their Ipswich QLD fish/chip shop, it would appear to me the oil was not hot enough.
Kay Sturgeon — Google review
Not the best, potato cakes dripping in oil, BBQ meat pizza was over loaded with cheese. Time to find another place.
Highly recommend Mallee Tours.
Rick is a top bloke, and knows his tsuff.. took us to some amazing places and we saw some amazing wildlife.

Loving the silo art trail. Wonderful art work of a local! Great info about the artist and how immersed himself in the history of the town and the people.

A fantastic work of art. Patchie is A great place to stay for a few days too. Great pub and pay $15.00 for a night at the pub for a powered site and water at the Caravan Park. So peaceful!

One of the best on the silo at trail. The description of the subject matter is very good and very apt. If you are on 'The Trail' then I think it is a worth while visit despite the kms travelled to get here.

This was where I started the trail. The post office opens at 10am on the Saturday. Grab a coffee, the blond shop keeper was so polite and made a killer cup of coffee. There's snake and all sorts of snacks. The colour full toilets across the road was amazingly clean. Be aware, Google does take you around the back for this silo.

Really fascinating place for camping, bushwalking and bird watching. Mallee eucalypts, river red gums, black box, dry lakes & creeks. Main camp ground is spacious, good facilities. Very few people there when we visited on the Anzac Day long weekend. We had beautiful blue skies in the day, clear sky at night with brilliant view of stars.

Lovely Mallee Park. Stayed at Wonga Campground. Very nice covered bbq area with lots of seating. Excellent composting toilets and fireplaces provided. Excellent marked walking trails. Great for stargazing at night.

Plenty of sand, then after the sand there's deeper sand. Well signposted and camping facilities at Western Beach are nice.
Wayne Humphrys — Google review
We enjoyed a short hike through the Wyperfeld National Park. Very nice and quiet area and nature, but I think the best time is spring when everything is in blossom.
Stephan Klatt — Google review
A great quiet spot to camp, could of just been quiet when we were there. Drop toilets only and your able to have a fire in the designated fire pits, don't bother bringing or buying any wood as there is so much dead branches lying around you will have a fire for days, maybe just a small axe to make your life easier.
The only issue with this place is was actually quiet axe sive for 2 people to camp and the same price if we went to a caravan park with flushing toilets and showers, I understand the funds go towards maintaining the park however I was a little shocked in the cost.
Good location to set up camp for a few days to explore the area as there is so much walking and 4wd if this is your interest. All the wildlife aswell, we saw kangaroos, emu, snakes, hawks, and so many of local birds. Great spot and we will be back

The detail in the artwork is surprising, it isn't until you study them you see things like facial wrinkles, chest hair, lettering on a shirt button and other things.

R Harrison — Google review
So there's two, and the entrance is a tad confusing. Don't take the one right next to the train track, or the one next to the house next to the tracks. Take the one after opposite the park. I had a good sit and enjoyed my pie from the pub.
Chandi Dinayadura — Google review
Local couple Geoff and Merrilyn Horman are depicted in this work by Melbourne artist Rone. Unfortunately the work is faded and poor Merrilyn isn't at all visible. Meals and accommodation available at the Minapre Hotel which also boasts a milk bar and coffee shop. Nearby is the Stockman's Hut Gallery which charges $5 admission and this includes complimentary tea or coffee. The gallery and grounds make up for the disappointment of the silo art.
Peter Lindsay — Google review
A bit difficult to make out as the colours are similar to the silo and depending on how much sunlight there is. Still worth going to and seeing it.
Absolutely lovely spot to camp for as long as you think you need. Very popular especially at peak times.

The GrainCorp Silos at Rosebery artwork was completed in late 2017, and is part of the 200 kilometre silo art trail. The Melbourne based artist who painted them is called Kaff-eine, wanted to show the hardships of living the land.

The silo art trail is a bonus to the journey. Not as much of a story about the area as other silos . Still interesting

Had a wonderful private tour of this historic homestead. Our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable and did not hide his passion for the property. We thoroughly enjoyed wondering through the many rooms and hearing about the lives of the families that once lived in. It is still in the process of being renovated, but that did not take anything away from the experience.

Great silo art! Brim maybe a little out of your way, but with a little forethought it's easy to work into your trip plan.
Andrew Osborne — Google review
The father of all silo arts in Australia! This mighty silo art started the chain reaction of silo arts across Australia. It was painted by the Brisbane Street artist Guido van Helten in 2015. This is now one of the 6 silo arts in the 200km silo arts trail from Melbourne. I am so proud of our great artists, bringing out the souls of the very village they represent - the many many remote little towns and communities that adds so much depth, history and meaning to what the huge Australia continent is all about! Little little places where big crops grow, providing food to Australia and beyond! I just love getting out there, giving them whatever support aiming for a self sustaining Australia!
Awesome setup! Friendly and very knowledgeable staff! Prices are more than reasonable! Allow yourself a good couple of hours to appreciate the exhibits! You can even lock up your children in the local jail from 1870 🤣

Truly one of a kind artwork, the elders and the two children, the generations of people who own the land. A landmark to celebrate the land, the stars, the beauty and the beliefs. Bushwalking, birdwatching & 4x4 vehicle tours of an arid landscape known for seasonal wildflowers.
A beautiful place to visit with plenty of wild flowers in spring. There are some trails of Emus and Kangaroos on several lovely short walks

Camped at horseshoe bend, great paid campsite on the river. You must book online. Lovely swim in the river, flushing toilets and fireworks. No other amenities. Lots of kookaburras... And they are not afraid to steal your food from your plate. They were flying under our awning to steal food .. Even tried to grab the lamb out of the camp oven, still in the flames! (We did not feed them at all)
leave nothing but footprints!
4WD ing some very soft sandy tracks through the park was a bit of fun. (If anyone finds the top 1/3rd of a sand flag... It's ours) lots of kangaroos speed around the waterfront holes, emus and other Birdlife.

I dont have a fully equipped 4wd any more. My AWD Tuscon got me to several places around the desert. With a stay at Dimboola Camping in excellent conditions and a great stay at Lake Ratzcastle. Both dog friendly. Just a note. Have plenty of water and your own wood for lake Ratzcastle.

Spent 2 days here and never saw another car, i guess with it's big brother not far away this little desert might get overlooked. Well worth the adventure. Didn't need to air down the sand was sticky due to the time of year. Easy enough to avoid the large mud holes in the road so a modest 4wd will get you there.

The campsites at horseshoe bend are great. Even has a flushing toilet. Paid sites. Not too busy outside of school holidays.
Most roads have deep sand and are 4X4 only. Plenty of kangaroos and wallabies around
I do not think my description could do.justice to this absolutely amazing monument to the history of grain, grain storage and transport in Murtoa, situated on the Wimmera Highway, Victoria.
We were visiting the area and admiring the beautiful art work on some of the grain silos. Several people had suggested we visit The Stick Shed.
We are SO pleased we did. We arrived just as visiting time was finishing but the lovely person selling admission tickets in the information building said we could go in.
From the moment we walked in we felt the impact of this mammoth construction.
As I suggested at the beginning of my post, I really can not do justice to this construction, it's history, the size and raw beauty.
Please Google it, read about it but more importantly, I suggest you go. We're still talking about it several days later and everyone we know who has been all feel the same. It is on the 'Must See' List for everyone visiting this part of Victoria. I'm certain you will be pleased you visited The Stick Shed, Murtoa.

What an INCREDIBLE place! Photos can’t portray how massive this shed is. For comparison for any English cathedral buffs - the Stick Shed is 100m longer than St Albans cathedral in England, one of the longest cathedrals in the UK. Inside it’s an awe-inspiring sight, and imagining the construction of the building is impressive. Highly recommend a visit if you’re nearby.

Wonderful history… we had no idea!!
Very well presented and preserved.
Well worth a visit. Robin..in the office was very informative and tells you the history, then there’s a video inside and you should not miss that either. Very impressed with the Murtoa Stick Shed. Thank you 😁

Lovely to see a bit of Australian history in person. The amazing historical tour and talk was very informative, video availableto watchin the gift shop. For the $10 entry fee was well worth a look around. Kids loved it.

Definitely a place you need to go and see if you're in the region. Very hard to describe the scale of the interior but it is certainly Cathedral like once you get there, well worth the visit. Loved the current art installation as well very well done. Staff were excellent as well.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Stick Shed . The sheer size of the build from the outside is jaw dropping but the interior is just beautiful with is raw cathedral like qualities .

The Murtoa Stick Shed was amazing. The staff were really friendly and the souvenirs were well priced. From the outside- I was expecting to be underwhelmed, but once a step foot inside the stick shed I was just blown away by the sheer scale of the building. Well worth a stop.

A fantastic destination. This facility was built to house grain in the 1940s, and the size of it will blow you away. Find out why it was built. Very interesting.

Soo much history and so many little details to look at. Very impressive structure especially considering how long ago it s built. Well worth the $10 to wonder around. Best to take your time and actually look around at everything. This place is huge.
Large-scale mural of 2 figures painted on a pair of grain silos by artist Julia Volchkova.
Stayed a few days here. Lovely quiet spot by the river. Powered site and water $10.00 per night. Visited the Heritage listed Stick Shed in Murtoa. Lovely few days.

Lovely art.
Read the literature available in the small shelter directly across from this silo and you will learn about other attractions this small town has to offer.
There is an art trail on the perpendicular street to this silo, which we walked along as well. That street also houses the local IGA and clean public toilets.
Patrick Silveira — Google review
Closer to Horsham and Murtao, it's the smallest of all the silo arts, but a more special one in retrospective. It's easier to draw on a blank canvas. But blending into the background color, coming up with such a realistic piece of art, is not an easy task. The faces in the painting are so relatable. It's well informed along the route and easier to find. It's a small town but a beautiful one.
I would suggest, starting from your trip from this one.

Great Art Work, recommend 2 days to do the trail if coming up from Melbourne. I would have liked more signage, as not knowing the area at all, some had signs, some did not and were a bit of a challenge to find

Really nice, on a made road so easy access for motorcycles. Not hidden it is in the main street. Easy to park your bike or car in front of to get that shot or take a selfie. Not busy so you will have time to get your photo. Plenty of room for cars, bikes and or buses.

Not quite the same impact as others on the silo art trail, but none the less impressive. The overall detail to scale is amazing. Worth visiting if in the area.
Such a stunning spot to explore. Very accessible by car and a short walk to the top. Views in every direction and loads of wild life to see over the duration of the day and night. Very highly recommended.

Absolutely magnificent to see but the second I ventured outside my car I was swarmed by flies, I tried to walk around the rock but gave up given the persistence of the damned pests - could not get a moments peace. Still the surroundings are frankly stunning.

Climbed here a few times in 2010 when I lived in Australia doing part of my PhD between University of Melbourne and University of California, Santa Barbara. An 8-acre landscaped garden dating back to the late 1800's with rose gardens, picnic & play areas.
Staying next door and had a leisurely walk when the rain stopped. Lovely garden. Look well maintained! Double thumbs up to the care taker👍👍😃
Very clean, neat and tidy👍👍. Free entry to the garden. Some of the plants starting showing changing colour, when they fully changed, it would be more beautiful!
Perfect place for family picnic. Toilets provided. I think there are 3 entrances to the park. Plenty of parkings. Unfortunately no dogs allowed tho.
Highly recommend this when you come to the area.

Horsham Botanical Gardens
An excellent example of what a Botanic Gardens should be. Beautiful and educational. There hasn’t been much water so the park is struggling but considering it’s in great shape. The gardens is not only educational In the way of plants but also of the people of the Horsham district both past and present. The park is completely wheel chair accessible with something to see in every season and has plenty of different kinds of seating. Adjacent to the gardens is a good playground with BBQs I imagine that the gardens are popular for weddings and parties, anything really. The lawns are so perfect with large and small trees

A must see place in Horsham. For that matter you can't go past this beautiful botanical garden without noticing it (if driving towards Anzac centenary bridge, Weir park, etc.) A well manicured, well maintained botanical garden with variety of Flowers, shrubs, plants, trees etc makes for an enjoyable walkabout. There's also a children's playground and barbeque area with toilet facilities etc towards the rear side of this botanical garden. Overall, it's a Good place to spend some time in Horsham.

If your a local or popping into Horsham it’s a great place to spot there’s coffee and hot chips around the corner and it’s a very inviting and beautiful place to be at but the only down side is no dogs but other than that it’s great for kids, playgrounds and chairs and it’s a amazing and beautiful place to be!

It has tolets and electric barbeques.
Nice open spaces to relax on and seats for resting.
The kids play area is fantastic.
Equipment for young toddlers through to young adults.
Far from roads, space to kick a ball, shaded play equipment, barbecues and toilets right next door.

Very well tended gardens. A delightful spot for a stroll on a hot day, or a picnic with family and friends. Often used for children's birthday parties.
Weir park in Horsham is an excellent place to spend some time in. There's a playground for the kids, bbq facilities with water taps, sitting facilities with benches, toilets etc. Look out for plenty of small green Parrots on the grassy areas under the trees. And because this park is situated on the banks of the Wimmera river, it offers plenty of good fishing spots too (although there were hardly any catches, but many anglers were trying their luck anyway (including us) over the weekend!) And if that's not enough, there's a good walking/Cycling trail which goes to the opposite side of the river as well. There's also an angling club nearby. So, no chance of -- "Getting Bored" around here whether you are a Kiddie, Youngie, or an Oldie. And if you do or say so... well then, you may feel weird in Weir park!😅

Great covered playground with BBQ facilities and toilets. Love the little boat the kids can play in. Great climbing rope and some smaller equipment for smaller kids. Horsham is one of my favourite Victorian country towns. If you're there, you must come to the Weir Park. Lots to do, walks by the river, picnic or BBQ, playgrounds for the kids, you can walk the dog, ride your bike, or jsut take a snooze on the grass. There are toilets, park benches and picnic tables. Plenty of parking, and only a short distance from central Horsham. You can even jump in the river for a swim!

very basic park with clean toilets and some children activity setup.
could be a good option for someone with a boat or wish to do fishing
One more big things, checked off the list. The artwork is made with concrete and care has been taken by the artist to create the perfect texture of the skin and hair. Especially the ear hair, done with the rods are very interesting. There's a souvenir shop next to it, worth the visit as it is on the way to your silo art Trail.

Have driven past so many times on various road trips, decided to stop off this time... it states '& tea rooms', and I would have loved for it to be more of a cute tea room vibe with scones etc, but it's more canteen food, which I can't rate as didn't eat here.
The goat made my stop here fun tho... the friendliest, softest goat ever... all he wanted was snacks and massages, wish I could have taken him home ❤️
Def recommend if you love a little petting zoo... or have little kids that do!

It’s something big to stop at to take a photo at with the family, but that’s about it.
Bought 3 ice blocks $15. My daughter didn’t eat hers she said it tasted like it was really old. The shop under the koala is pretty bare with a heap of junk to buy, reasonably priced though, but all pretty average quality. Still bought something to support them, but could be so much better if the stock was good or they uncluttered.
I’ll still visit again, but it’s not a destination, it’s a place to take a photo, stretch legs, and keep going.

I am somewhat obsessed with the "Big Things of Australia" and will go out of the way to see them.
The Giant Koala is one of my favourites. From the huge concrete structure to the tips of the freaky branches poking out of the ears - the Giant Koala does not disappoint
Kaz Barlow — Google review
Worlds largest fake. The koala isnt even real. You know what is real though? A boy needing a father figure in his life to guide him towards the right path and help him become the great man he should be. Teaching him to ride a bike, how to talk to girls, even raise his own koala. Instead all he taught him was how to walk out door and never look back

A great stop either on your way to Horsham or just past as its not far. A nice little Cafe to get either hot food or freshly made sandwiches and don't forget to grab a cold drink or a cuppa. The toilets are very clean.

Nice place for a quick stopover. We ended up arriving around 3pm hoping to have late lunch but kitchen was closed, quite understandable though. Apart from all the Koala items, there is a talking cockatoo out back 🙂

Run down and dirty looking, the lady running the place has no idea re: customer service, very grumpy and rude. We stopped on way to Melbourne in the afternoon, she wouldn't let kids go into the outside area very rudely snapping at them, she had a puppy running around inside that she put in a crate and pretty much yelled at the kids not to go near it, on the way back to S.A. we stopped again, this time mid day, this woman was just as rude and grumpy still telling kids they couldn't go in outside area and again making a fuss about puppy, kids were nowhere near it ! We left without purchasing anything , choosing to drive to next area for lunch. Not impressed and will drive by next visit to Vic

The thing that dreams are made of, a 14m high guardian Angel. The saint of Dadwells bridge surveys their surroundings in a godly manner, an honour to withhold. To be In the presence of such greatness is a once in a lifetime experience and one I am truly grateful to of had.

Welcome to the Giant Koala, where time stands still and the aroma tells tales of the past. It's like walking into a scene from a retro Australian postcard, hosted by a charming, oversized marsupial.
The first thing you'll notice (apart from the towering koala, of course) is the unique fragrance, reminiscent of an old library mixed with a dash of eucalyptus. It's quaint, but a little air freshener wouldn't hurt.
Now, let's talk facilities. The toilets are a 'pay-to-pee' affair, exclusive to paying customers. It adds an amusing, if somewhat inconvenient, twist to your visit.
The gift shop seems to hold onto relics rather than souvenirs, and the air is tinged with the scent of nostalgia. The café, with its eclectic choice of spaghetti on toast, matches the theme – it's like dining in a time warp.
Here's the kicker: they ask for donations, presumably for upkeep, but one can't help but wonder where these funds go. The place looks like it hasn't seen a facelift since it first opened its doors.
A little suggestion for the owners: this iconic landmark, a quirky piece of Australian heritage, could truly benefit from some of those donations or even a little help from local authorities. A small investment could transform this scented time capsule into a refreshed, vibrant attraction. Let's give the Giant Koala the revamp it deserves!

First time we have been to the Giant Koala. Was a nice spot to explore, the birds were nice to look at. The souvenirs were well priced, and the boys loved the cookies from the Cafe! Massive Koala and a good photo opportunity infront of another big thing down under. Plenty of carpark space and room to move around for photos.
Little shop was closed on both occassions coming past but reading reviews, doesn't seem like we missed much of an experience with the gift shop or associated business which is a little sad given the recent fires in the area we would've loved to chip in.

We had a great time with Steve and the bikes. The experience was really enjoyable and Steve was a very good host. He made sure all of us were comfortable and safe througout the session.
Recommended for anyone who wants to have an adventure in the wilderness on a Quad Bike..
And many thanks to Steve again... :)
Libalf Libalf — Google review
I usually don't leave bad reviews, but this was one of the worst and most upsetting experiences I have ever had whilst on holidays! The quad biking itself was fun but all was ruined for me by the owner/instructor Steve's downright nasty attitude.
As a first time quad biker, I felt berated (strong word but warranted) every time I made a mistake. Every time I didn't brake hard enough, one time stopping over the designated stopping line and one time bumping (not smashing) into the person in front of me, and the two times when the bike got stuck in the mud, I felt nothing but intense frustration from him, instead of supportiveness, and was chastised, every time.
Steve's behaviour may have been appropriate for reckless behaviour, but it was completely unwarranted for someone genuinely paying attention and doing every manoeuvre to the best of their ability, and even doing very well during the practices. We were just tourists and first time quad bikers wanting to have a fun time.
All in all, his impatience, abrasiveness and bad-temper completely ruined what would have been a fun experience. Instead, it was one of the worst and frankly most upsetting experiences I have had in recent years. If you are considering joining them, I would recommend either catching him on a good day, or making no mistakes during your session.

Great experience. Cameron gave us the full instructions, and you could tell he has had years of experience. He managed to turn a few beginners into congident riders in just two hours. Horses were great, tailored for the different levels in the group. Does not matter what your level is, if you want to ride, this is the place for you!

During our trip around Australia for the last 6 months I've been keeping a keen eye out for a trail riding experience that would engage my husband despite his disinterest in horsemanship and this place jumped out at me. Cameron is an amazing trainer and taught the group on how to control his beautiful horses as well as how to trot (3 ways) and canter (2 ways). We always felt safe but there was an element of freedom that my husband really took to and he was soon out trotting and out cantering me. I asked him if he liked horses now and got a resounding "they're alright". I also asked if he'd be happy to go riding again in the next 6 months and he said yes! It's taken me nearly 10 years to get him on a horse so I'm absolutely stoked. Thank you so much Cameron for a beautiful ride and for your knowledge and help.

If you are planning on visiting the Grampians, I would highly recommend Cameron and Sandra’s Grampians Horse Riding Centre, just a wonderful experience.
Cameron and Sandra were an absolute pleasure to deal with. I advised them I can’t call as my partner is right next to me, so we just messaged on FB, and they went above and beyond and found us a suitable spot. I surprised my partner as she loves horses and she loved it so much, it honestly made her day.
Cameron genuinely knows what he is doing and the horses are well looked after, I might be a bit biased, but Alfie was the best horse.
The views and terrain were amazing, definitely recommend this for anyone visiting the Grampians.

Where to start... beautiful scenery, beautiful well educated horses and an awesome experience. Our guide Cameron catered to our every need and made it fun for everyone as we had experienced and beginner riders in our group. If you're after good quality horsemanship, up for learning something new and having an absolute ball... book 10 times over. Because I would go back in a heart beat.

Don’t miss this one…
Cameron & son Angus were knowledgeable, friendly and approachable hosts. Imparting horsemanship also giving much needed confidence to our young ladies (12yo) one, being a complete novice and the other an intermediate pony club rider.
Both riders were able to enjoy this ride at their respective levels and come away with smiles for days.
An intimate group of 5 riders only plus Cameron & Angus allowed the girls to go independently without us parents nagging.
Purchase their ‘first for horses’ book complied and written by Cameron as it has a wealth of knowledge for everyone.
Highly recommend, we will return when in the area.

Fantastic! Cameron will teach you everything you need to know to be confident horse riding. We enjoyed the complementary overnight camping in the beautiful remote location the night before the ride. Highly recommend!

This is more than just your average trail riding centre. If you enjoy well educated quality horses then this is for you. Safety is always a priority but balanced with fun engaging exercises. Cameron respects his horses and expects you to do the same. He has a wealth of equine knowledge to offer if you're willing to be educated and is not afraid to keep you in check or alternatively allow you to ride ahead if capable. The scenery is magic and you will come away refreshed and more confident in your skills.
We had a group of four riders from absolute beginner to rusty old keen 'wanna be' and all thoroughly beamed after our ride!
Can't wait to have the privilege to ride with you again Cameron. Good luck with those non equine ventures and hope you have recovered from those renovation induced injuries;).
Linda Blackwell — Google review
Trail leader Cameron has an enormous wealth of knowledge to pass forward through the connection between human and horse. He has a genuine interest in teaching you how to effectively connect with you horse in order to improve your riding experience thus inevitably improve your life experience. He expresses himself beautifully and the teachings he gives you is worth far more than what you'll pay. The horses are cared for to a triple gold star standard which shines through on your ride with them. They are alert, independent thinking animals and show a zest for life that is unmatched at other trail riding facilities. I rode Sailer just recently and he was so kind and patient with me, allowing me to lead him and in turn leading me where I failed to understand, effectively teaching me on the go, what a gracious animal. He was not the most affectionate horse, politely asserting his unwillingness for cuddles before and after the ride while still affording me a chance to show him I have what it takes to lead him through the grampians bush. I hope he was half as impressed with me as I was with him. It's safe to assume I have love and gratitude that this facility operates and hope to see it's continued operation for decades to come.

Great spot for sunrise/sunset depending on time of year (sun sets on other side of the mountains). Wheelchair accessible paths straight to the viewpoints. Be wary of massive potholes on the road up to the lookout, starting immediately off Mt Difficult Rd, some are big enough to sink a wheel, and kangaroos jumping into the road at dusk. Metal barriers now in place.
Quite isolated in that there's no other sightseeing spots on this road, so good only as a photo op.

Two lookouts in one area, short walk from the car parking. Good for prams and wheel chairs as flat and cemented walking paths. Beautiful scenery overlooking Grampians on another angle. Few car parking and could be busy during school holidays. Drop toilet only.

Out of many look outs in this area, this is the one you shouldn't miss. Breath taking view. Very close to the car park. Families with small kids can visit without any hassle.

Fantastic high lookout in The Grampians National Park where you can see Hall's Gap & the surrounding country. Once at the carpark the two viewing platforms are easy to access & the views are stunning. Good place for photography.

On a clear day, you get a fantastic perspective of Halls Gap township. We were there Australia Day weekend so it was absolutely rammed. Recommend visiting early or in non holiday season:

Great view for the sunrise, literally a 1 minute walk to the lookout from the carpark that faces the lookout. There are 2 lookout spots next to each other too for slightly different angles
Katia Lam — Google review
Let me tell you, the hype about Boroka Lookout is real. I wasn't expecting much, you know, just another scenic stop. But wow, was I wrong! The walk from the carpark was a breeze, even with my dodgy knee. It's a short, paved path that winds through some beautiful stringybark trees.
And then you reach the lookout platform, and BAM! The whole valley unfolds before you. It's like a postcard come to life. I could see Halls Gap nestled down below, Lake Bellfield sparkling in the distance, and the mountain ranges stretching out forever. There's something incredibly calming about seeing such a vast landscape.
I spent ages just soaking it all in. Snapped a few photos, of course, but they just don't do it justice. This is definitely a place you have to experience for yourself. If you're ever in the Grampians and looking for an easy stop with a magnificent view, Boroka Lookout is a must-do.
Thanh Hảo Lê — Google review
This is one of the best lookouts in the Grampians, with views along the valley to Halls Gap, Lake Bellfield and Mt William. Unlike other vantage points in this national park it doesn't require any physical effort to get to - just an easy 20 minute 15km drive from Halls Gap via Mt Victory Road then Mt Difficult Road.
Rodney Avery — Google review
Just few minutes drive via Mt Difficult rd. Lookout very close to parking. Toilets available. Ample parking spots, pram and wheelchair friendly. Well fenced off lookout view points. Scenic drive to the lookout. Have a look around and see if you can spot few rarely seen birds. If you start from Halls gap it takes roughly 20 mins (few waterfalls on the way back as well. Visual treat guaranteed. Highly recommend for family with small kids and elderly members.

Really stunning and breathtaking views. We actually think that the Boroka Lookout was much nicer than the balconies as there are more things to look at. It’s a short walk from the car park and toilet is available nearby. Would recommend.

Magical sunrise.
I imagine the photos from the professional camera would be rather more spectacular than my phone snaps...
Raelene K — Google review
Very accessible as the lookout is right next to the large carpark, with toilets on site.
Stunning views of Halls Gap and the lakes! Do not try to take a caravan up there whatever you do - there are warnings about this but we saw a van trying to get up anyway. The road is absolutely not wide enough for that, with many potholes and twisty bits. Fine for a car though!

Stunning view of Halls Gap from the top. Lookout is just next to the carpark and is definitely suitable for young kids
Venus Baths, located just off Mount Victory Road in the Grampians, is a natural wonder featuring crystal-clear rock pools and small rapids fed by Stony Creek. The area's freshwater lake and rock pools with slides make it an ideal spot for cooling off during hot summer days or after a long hike on the surrounding trails. Surrounded by majestic hill ranges, Venus Baths offers a unique destination suitable for families, honeymooners, and backpackers.
Fantastic crag sprinkled with a sweet range of V0-V5 climbs and probably one with easiest approach. Be prepared however, to potentially encounter tour groups that may treat you like monkeys in a zoo and prod you to demonstrate ‘bouldering’ for their amusement. A bit of an amusingly bizarre experience but otherwise just delightful!

Lovely set of pools nested in the valley between two hillsides. I could imagine travellers stopping here over the eons. The cold water would be very tempting during hot weather. The walk was relatively easy but I would not call it an easy walk - it would be fine for the average adult or child, but I wouldn't try taking a stroller here. The track gets quite steep after this point in the trail.

From botanical gardens it’s about a 1 km easy walk inside. It is a beautiful walk till the end, peaceful and reaches the water flow surrounded by big rocks!! Was nice to just walk and sit there to see the water flowing…
Smriti Jhunjhunwala — Google review
There are 2 walking tracks to this beautiful attraction. The easier track is through the botanic garden. The 2 tracks lie either side of the creek. Amazing rock formations high above your head and the beautiful Baths themselves. Only 2 kms return walk. Walk starts behind the caravan park. Venus baths is situated at the base of elephants hide, a big rock escarpment that looks like elephants skin. From here you can also continue onto the wonderland loop which is a strenuous hike up to the Pinnacle lookout or just onto splitters falls. It’s my fave place walk in the Grampians

Venus Bath Halls Gap provides a pleasant walk Experience. The hidden gems along the path, coupled with picturesque stream views, enhance the experience. The moderate walk takes around 20-25 minutes, unveiling not only the charm of the area but also offering entry to the Halls Gap Botanical Garden—an added bonus for nature enthusiasts.

A short, relatively easy walk from the Halls Gap caravan park.
It's a peaceful, relaxing place when there are just a few people.
(Which can happen but today we had a dozen boisterous teenagers hogging the pools)
On the way back, don't cross the bridge but continue along the path on the left and you'll pass spectacular rock formations and end up back at the Botanical Gardens which are worth a visit!
Anton Varga — Google review
Venus Baths is a beautiful rock pool area that is located at the bottom of the side of one of the mountains in the Grampians, with million year old formations that are perfectly formed to plunge into or cool your feet.
It’s an easy walk for all ages along the well designed access track. Make sure you inform kids how slippery the rocks are; there is always someone who ends up slipping and sliding. No facilities here, take out what you take in or save the picnic for Halls Gap. Access is through the rear gate in the Botanical Gardens or slightly longer via the path at the back of the caravan park.

This is a beautiful series of rock pools on Stoney Creek, a short easy walk upstream from Halls Gap, in Victoria's Grampians. There are tracks on both sides of the creek, so you can walk up one and return on the other, if so desired. The track on the north bank of the creek passes through the botanic gardens en route, which are also worth checking out. Both tracks pass through lovely bushland as they follow the creek, as shown in my last few photos.

Beautiful walk trail in the heart of Halls gap. This is an easy walk for all fitness levels. The scenery is amazing and if your lucky you get to see the local wildlife in their natural habitat.

Discover the enchanting Venus Baths, a hidden gem nestled in the Grampians. Whether you're on a holiday or a day trip, this serene spot within Hall Gaps, along the Grampian road, promises a delightful experience. Surrounded by excellent dining options, it's an ideal location for quality time with family and friends. The walk to Venus Baths is gentle and easily accessible, making it suitable for all. Exercise caution during wet seasons when the path might become slippery. While exploring, don't miss nearby attractions like Chautauqua Park and Wonderland Loop Walk, although these may be better suited for more adventurous hikers than those with kids. At Venus Baths, families can enjoy a dip in the water, but it's wise to assess conditions and water flow before indulging in too much adventure.
K D — Google review
We parked at the Botanic Gardens and walked through them to the start of the Venus Baths walk. An easy loop walk along a clear, wide gravel path up to the rock pools. Just before the pools there is a bridge, but no signage. The pools and naturally carved slides can be quite slippery. There was a large school group enjoying the pools the day we went! There are interesting rock formations along the way. We also spotted a couple of wallabies. The path back was much narrower and appeared less used. It exited at the caravan park where again there were no signs, but after some scouting around we found a bridge on the left leading back to the Botanic Gardens. This walk could definitely be improved with a couple of extra signs. There are no public facilities (toilets, water) in this area.

Nice location and walk, however I'd say it's the least impressive of the Grampians sight seeing option.
Low-key hotel offering rooms & cottages, some with whirlpool baths, plus a heated indoor pool.
We stayed with family for 2 nights at room 7. Excellent service from the owner Mathew, very cozzy room and well presented and clean. Nice charming personality. He looked after me and my family very well. We enjoyed our food at Black Panther which was just 10 second from my room. Highly recommended.will come back next time.

The whole complex seemed to be run down. The grounds were untidy with long grass everywhere and grass growing out of the gutters. The rooms we had were very run down with old furnishings and furniture and original bathroom and kitchen. It would be great if we could at least say the bed was comfortable but it was the hardest bed we had on our whole two week trip away. As a positive it is centrally located and so an easy walk into town etc.
Margaret Hutchings — Google review
The room size was good, the location is amazing, this place has so much potential but is run down and disappointing. Every time we turned on our kitchen tap it made a sound like a ship coming into harbour. Have covered over the indoor spa, advertised indoor heated pool (the reason we booked here) only to discover they were only heating it to 22 degrees - way too cold (stop being cheap and turn up the temp). They advertised reception being open 8-8 but numerous times they weren’t there, the pool was meant to be open to 8 but the lights weren’t on. The rooms weren’t that clean. Everything is outdated and looks neglected. The service was way too relaxed, not attentive although the people were kind. Time to invest in the business and renovate!

This was a cheap hotel. So for the price it was excellent. Location is A+. Being in the centre of town was super convenient. Views were spectacular when you step outside the door and the sight of kangaroos grazing outside our window in the morning a real treat. The room was very dated and needed a good spring clean (walls, carpets, drapes cobwebs etc) however, the bathroom, kitchen and spa were very clean. Spa worked a treat after hiking all morning. Comfortable bed, but sheets were so crisp, they were actually noisy.

Location: excellent, right behind the shopping strip and cafes
Surrounds: Nice. Kangaroos all over the place and they don’t mind leaving their droppings anywhere and everywhere. Kids love them though.
Rooms: roomy but in need of sprucing up and very ancient. TV wouldn’t work, reportedly the signal fault the management says.
Other establishments seemed to be ok.
If I came back here to visit I doubt I would choose this motel
PETER BURQUEST — Google review
Fairly good accommodation, rooms are old fashioned which isn't a massive issue. The location is a 10/10 with a minute walk from the door of your room to the main street of Halls Gap. There are offered discounts for a restaurant nearby which is good as well. The indoor pool is fairly busy and small but is nicely heated to suit the cooler temperatures.
Shaun Reed — Google review
Accommodation is very basic, out dated and dirty. Our toilet leaked and we had no hot water in the shower. Thankfully we had a spa bath, which had hot water so we were still able to wash. Management offered for us to move to a smaller, more budget room but refused to refund the difference in price.
The only positive thing about this place is the location, right in the heart of the main street and restaurants.
Kate Sincock — Google review
This is a review of my opinion of the room I stayed in (Room 9), as other rooms might might have a different experience
Check in was ok, no problems and staff member was nice. Also warned that wifi might not be stable.
Room was clean and has that old australian motel small to it. Which was nice in its own way.
Couldn't connect to internet at all, tired multiple times with multiple devices.
Bathroom showered leaked, so had to put towels on the floor.
There's a sign that mentions no room cleaning service and please clean up after yourself. Which was easy enough.
Great location, right behind and walking distance (2 minute walk) from the main shop areas in Halls Gap

This place is situated right in the heart of Halls Gap, and the scenery is truly captivating, with mountains enveloping the area. Our group had the pleasure of celebrating a birthday party here, and the manager graciously provided us with the event room at no extra cost. Furthermore, I needed some extra rest due to illness, and the manager kindly extended our check-out time to accommodate. The price is pretty reasonable.

Great location, big rooms, Free parking. Kanguroos everywhere which was magical. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was delicious at a good price. It could have been a bit cleaner (spider webs and spiders everywhere) but I would visit again.

Reasonably priced accommodation. Central location, really close to Halls Gap village and a short drive to the various National Park carparks. The room was warm, comfortable, and clean. You are required to clean and dry your room's dishes before departing which would've been easier if a tea towel had been provided.
Callan Bird — Google review
Very poor service, check in was at 2.00pm we arrived and our room was not even cleaned the bedding was not changed from previous people and bathroom still had wet towels, the rooms are old and haven’t been up-kept.
I complained and had my room cleaned but the manager was very rude !!! You have to wash and put away your own dishes and you can’t sleep on the doona as that requires washing and you will be charged an extra $20.
The grounds are disgusting no maintenance has been done.
The only great thing is the indoor pool which I must add had to much chlorine so our eyes stung all night ! Definitely won’t be returning!!!!!

Older style, but large rooms, comfortable bedding etc, clean & tidy rooms, centrally located right in midst of shops etc. Paths & driveways are all gravel & were pretty muddy & puddles which you had to walk through from car to room. Always kangaroos around, reasonably priced.

Our stay was very comfortable, with plenty of space, good heating, including electric blankets on the bed (required when we stayed) and a well stocked kitchenette with large fridge. Although the accommodation is old, it is very well maintained and extremely clean.
Location was fantastic, with centre of town and all that it offers, only a 2 minute walk away (if that). Very, very quiet as property is filled with magnificent trees (and the birds that frequent or live in them), lawns and garden, with a couple of bbq and seating areas. Units are well spread out, in separate blocks surrounding all this. Not least is the fantastic view through the trees of the Grampians. Pinnacle Holiday Lodge is definitely a place to return to for us.
Jane Bolding — Google review
This accommodation was in a great location with only a very short walk straight through an alleyway from the lodge to the Main Street shops and restaurants.
As much as room was very spacious and well appointed that was as good as it gets. It was relatively clean but the kitchen left a lot to be desired. The drawers and cupboards were filthy and sticky in places. There was not dish cloth for cleaning the dishes and wiping down surfaces. Considering this room could accommodate at least four people there was no where near enough crockery and cutlery to serve more than two. The hairdryer in the bathroom whilst it worked, was almost in two pieces leaving it a very dangerous electrical appliance. The bed was very dated, hard and uncomfortable, as also were the pillows.
Julie Watkins — Google review
We spent two nights at the Pinnacle Holiday Lodge and enjoyed our stay. The rooms were large and comfortable, and it was fun watching the wallabies hop through the grounds. We enjoyed the location and it’s easy access to the Grampians and nearby restaurants/shops in Halls Gap

Arrived late on motorcycle trip. Expected rooms normally ready by 2 pm, but at 3.30 not ready.
Staff laughed it off. 2 rooms still not ready at 4 pm. Staff giggling as though nothing was out of place.
Then the room. Very run down, cracked and damaged air conditioner, very untidy, flouro in bathroom flickering.
Booked an executive room, sent to what looked like a back packers double roomed dormitory.
Grass all dead, unlike the appearance 12 months previous.
Pitiful, such a pity for a great location and a Business which was so good last trip.

The location is great.
We stayed there about 3 years ago and it wasn't too bad, this time you could see how much it's being neglected, the freezer was not usable as it was one big blo k of ice, hasn't been defrosted In years.
The bbq is not usable either, it was filthy.
The windows had thick cobwebs.
Yes it's a cheap place to stay but it's no excuse to leave it so dirty.

I only stayed one night, in late October. Primary advantage is central location, just behind the main shopping strip in Hall’s Gap. Our room had seen better days, carpet was quite worn and the walls needed a bit of a wash with sugar soap, seemed to be a bit darkened from soot from the gas log fire (the ceiling & walls around the fire were quite dark). The log fire itself ignited easily the first time we used it, couldn’t start it a second time. The hot tub spa & split cycle heater worked well though. The coffee table was propped up against a chair as one of its legs had fallen off. I only paid $162 for the night, whilst my expectations weren’t high for that price the room really needed a renovation to bring it up to a modestly reasonable standard.
Philip Johnston — Google review
Brilliant location.
Please get the carpets and furniture in each room professionally steam cleaned, they are filthy.
The indoor “heated” swimming pool is not heated. The playground is old and too dangerous for small kids to play on. The WIFI didn’t work in our room and we needed to walk outside closer to the middle of the “lodge” to get reception.
This lodge definitely requires some money being spend on updating the rooms, pool, wifi strength and play equipment.

The original building which has been here for years is closed sign says it’s going to be renovated. The information centre has little information available which I was very disappointed. There is a gift shop but was a bit expensive. Was hoping to get a good map with clearly showed all the wonderland and surrounds walks. There doesn’t seem to be one available anywhere in Halls Gap. inside there is also a cafe which was closed, possibly effected by covid lack of staff. It has a lovely outside eating area. So when that is open as I assume it will be at some point or maybe only in peak times it would be a lovely lunch spot. There is a couple of walking tracks but not much to get exited about. Lots of parking.

I remember when this was being built and although it still looks good, some of the displays are getting tired, although the information is still good.
Located just outside of Halls Gap you can walk or ride along well made paths.
Inside is a small cafe where you can dine on fresh food and refreshments.
Outside are some excellent interpretation boards that give a history of the area and the life prior to white settlement.
The retail shop is extensive with lots of interesting items.
There is plenty of parking under the shaded gums. The place is wheelchair friendly and in fact you can motor on your wheelchair from town to the centre.
Very kid friendly with lots for the little ones to do.
I would say you could spend at s minimum and hour here. There are tours available as well.
Enjoy.

Staff seemed completely disinterested in even beginning to assist with explaining the layout of the place when you walk in. From what I could gather from wandering around, it is supposed to be an educational centre, but all the different buildings were closed and the grounds were all overgrown and dilapidated looking. I was hoping to learn some information about the indigenous people of the surrounding area, but there wasn't really anything informative there. Pretty disappointing for something like this in such a high traffic location like Halls Gap.

The artwork and items for sale are all authentic Indigenous, which is really important for integrity and for the artists creating such beautiful items. Lots of choices for fabulous gifts here!

The Brambuk the National Park & Cultural Centre is an excellent information facility located in Halls Gap to visit. It is in quick walking distance from the town centre along a well designated path. Staff are knowledgable and friendly, offering good advice on the features of the region. Maps for the various parts of the park and walking trails are available for purchase. Within the centre, the outline of indigenous history in the area is respectful and informative. The designated walks within the park and fairly easy and many forms of wonderful flora and fauna are to be seen. Brumbuk is well worth a visit if in Halls Gap!

There’s a little walking trail here but nothing special. Better off going to Halls Gap Botanical Gardens if you’re looking for a nice easy stroll. I was in and out of the centre for 2 mins. Didn’t receive much help, recommendations or enthusiasm from the staff about where we can go for a nice walk. They have maps here but it is not free.
Silverband Falls is a charming and picturesque waterfall located in Grampians National Park. The easy 1.4-km return track through beautiful bushland leads visitors to the foot of this small perennial waterfall, making it accessible for all ages. During the summer, visitors can enjoy a pleasant walk to the waterfall and get close to it, although conditions may vary during wet seasons. The sound of winds gushing through the trees adds to the serene atmosphere.
Silverband Waterfalls offers a delightful and scenic walk. During our visit, the water flow was moderate, allowing for a serene atmosphere complemented by the soothing sounds of birds and streams. The moderately challenging pathway, occasionally crossing small waterways, adds a touch of adventure without being strenuous. A short walk from the car park unveils the beauty of this waterfall, making it a pleasant excursion lasting around 15-30 minutes.

Visited during start of summer. Small waterfall tucked in nicely in the woods. Enjoyed the trail towards the waterfall. You can actually go very near to the waterfall. But I assume, things will be different during wet seasons. Loved the sound of the winds gushing the trees.
If you are coming from Bellfield side, you have to drive past the waterfalls to reach the car park. Can be tricky, if you don’t realise because, of network connectivity issue. Better have offline maps beforehand.
No toilets, ample parking spots. Trail is kids and seniors friendly. But prams might find it tricky. Include in your list if you have spare time.

Very good walking track to the base of these amazing falls. Suitable for nearly all capabilities. The falls disappear into the ground which is fascinating. Along the walk there are some ferns which love the damp moist gully. The tiny robins and thorn bills flittering among the low foliage is so lovely to see. Can get busy at peak times

Very easy walk for all levels of ability, relatively flat terrain. Interesting lack of running water in the rocky creek/river bed. The falls come into view and I guess depending on the rainfall will be how impressive the falls are on the day. Beautiful gully, easy walk, but if you're expecting Mc Kenzies Falls, your going to be disappointed. Still worth the photo opportunity

This is one of the few waterfalls that still has some water cascading during the summer months.
