You can have a glimpse of many tropical birds. This has cafes and botanical centres dedicated to certain plants species

What a beautiful place to visit! The Botanic Gardens is free to enter and is conveniently located on the free tram route. We spent a good 2-3 hours there and only touched on the surface of what the gardens has to offer. Definitely a place that warrants multiple trips to really appreciate.
There’s a variety of areas to see including everything from a rose garden to a succulent garden to a conservatory with ferns and other tropical plants. The site is really well maintained and has ample areas to sit and just relax. There’s multiple paths throughout the place, so I’d recommend having a map to help you navigate (unfortunately, though there are signposts indicating different sites, they don’t have nearly enough maps posted throughout the gardens).
Overall, great place to visit! One of the best Botanical Gardens we’ve seen in Australia!

A sensational garden! Very well planned, lots of variety and we loved the little tracks through the trees! Well signed, lots of amusement and surprise and birds galore. We loved how many edible varieties there were too. Anyone visiting Adelaide with a few hours to kill will love this place. Also great for kids as there’s plenty of area to run about and also have a picnic. There was a special event on while we were there with big dinosaurs in the gardens and the kids seemed to be loving that!

The garden is so beautiful. The glass structure, something like cottage, all these structures looks amazing. They have created something like rain forest inside that glass building. It was a really good experience to walk around there. The small pond inside the glass building has a beautiful fish. I would definitely recommend to go and visit this place.

The picnic I spent here was very peaceful and fantastic. The weather was perfect under the sun and the sky was very beautiful. I was so happy that I lost track of time. I recommend this place if you want to spend a convenient time. You'll be able to spend a cup of coffee and some spare time. If I come back to Adelaide, I will definitely revisit it.

It was incredibly quiet when I was there too (mid-afternoon weekday) which meant it was very peaceful.
The gardens are so well maintained and fantastically green. They're a great place to walk through or spend an afternoon relaxing.

I spent over 3 hours here - absolutely stunning! Gorgeous for weddings or garden parities. Toilet facilities were decent. Restaurant on site and the wine spot was brilliant too. Wear comfy walking shoes, hat & sunscreen; don’t forget your water bottle

Small but charming gardens, they have so much to offer. For example, please make sure you visit Museums and exhibitions, particularly the economic botany house, you will learn a lot about how and what plants contributed to our human economy, see unique specimens.
There are several dedicated sections for different plants, conifers, giant waterlilies, Dahlia garden is lovely as well. Good option for a warm afternoon.

There are variety of plants in here and you can picnic or just walking around to see many different kinds of plants and taking photos. It's best to come here on sunny day, and if you come here near the end of winter the weather is still pretty chill so you'll not feel hot

Our visit to Adelaide Botanical Gardens was a delightful escape into nature's beauty. The meticulously landscaped gardens showcased a stunning variety of flora. The serene atmosphere provided a peaceful retreat, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll or a moment of contemplation. Really enjoyed the Adelaide Botanical gardens. They were well laid out and I especially enjoyed the breathing garden. Felt so calming. The cafe had some great choices for food and drinks. Being gluten sensitive can be a pain at times. Definitely recommend checking the gardens out.

These gardens were not the best we have been to. They were still very enjoyable and well laid out. This place is used for other venues like weddings and private events. The wildlife was also a nice treat. Especially the numerous turtles.

The Botanic Gardens in Adelaide are a true oasis.
Beautifully landscaped gardens with majestic avenues and breathtaking architecture in the heart of the city.
Many individual areas provide information about a wide variety of plants in Australia and from other countries.
The rose garden is particularly popular here with roses that have adapted to the hot climate of Australia.
Highly recommended!

Lots to see and do. Plenty of benches, toilets and areas to picnic or walk. Beautifully designed and looked after. My favourite part was the Lilly pond and exotic south America plants.

Love the gardens, it's my favourite place to get lost in and I've taken my camera to get some nice shots too. There's maps and stuff but unless you don't want to miss anything, I recommend just wondering for the experience. It's so cool that there's different buildings like greenhouses or museums inside that you can learn a lot too. Pictured are some of the beautiful things you can find here

Good place to spend your Sunday afternoon. There were different parts of the garden to see. I found the cactus/ succulents and the Amazonian lily section the best.
The Adelaide Central Market is a vibrant, bustling market offering a wide range of local products. It's one of the oldest indoor markets in the world and features fresh fruit, vegetables, baked goods, cheeses, and more. After browsing the stalls, check out some of the cafes in the area or head to one of Chinatown's many restaurants for a delicious meal.
Amazing place for fresh produce. Love how the coffee in the market and the variety of beans sold here. There are some seats for dinning and some wait may be required on Saturdays when it gets crowded. Do take note that the market is closed on Sunday and Monday.
Easy to get lost in the market if you don't know how to navigate. Try to look at the ceiling at both ends which tells you which avenue you are about to shop at.

Amazing place. It's clean, spacious, people are all warm and kind. There's different kind of stores that sells just about everything and you can find good snacks or gifts as souvenirs here too. There is a whole section of little restaurants and also another section of tables and chairs in the open for anyone to sit or dine. Highly recommended.

Cute little markets in the middle of Adelaide city. It is right beside the Chinatown area and has a wide variety of foods and other interesting or exciting items. They have food from different countries and is a bit more upmarket compared to regular market food. It is also divided into different “avenues” to keep it organised. The shops range from grocery and meat stores, to bakeries and desserts, to spice and soap or homeware stores. It was quite enjoyable walking through here, and the best part is that it opens at 7am (3 days a week, 9am for the other days) and closes quite late on Fridays, and generally at 5:30pm for most other days.
Probably one of the more enjoyable places to explore in Adelaide as there is generally something for everyone.
Jenny — Google review
Great range of fresh fruit and vegetables at great prices. Lots of variety in fish and cold meats as well. Can get busy Friday night and weekends as well. The car park does fill up quickly so it’s best to get in early. Great smells and heritage are at the markets too. If you get a chance to visit, I highly recommend going there for a visit.

A great place to visit while you’re in Adelaide. It has everything you need from veggies, fruits, to bakery items, cheese, coffee beans, wine, and many more. Well, you won’t find clothes here. But the market covers all your hunger needs. It’s two storey. The place has ample enough parking with a paid parking near by.
Just because it’s a street market don’t expect cheap products. The items are of great quality too. It’s a good place to go if you wish to spend your Friday night having a bit of a walk.

Excellent!!! If you are in Adelaide, you will have to visit the Market. Plenty of fresh produce, food and deli stores. Store owners are so friendly, passionate and helpful in recommending their products. It was so enjoyable that we went back again the next day.

Fresh vegetables, fruits and meats. Cakes, coffee and restaurants. I had the poffertjes (small fluffy pancakes) and it was really good. Cinnamon, lemon and cream on top and so yum.

It is different Victoria Market in Melbourne. It has much more variance in food like South America, Europe, Asia. Some of them are very nice. But I haven’t had a chance to try big table. I will give it a try next time.
I love the buZzy environment there. It is ALIVE

A very beautiful market in the heart of Adelaide. The market is spacious, well-organized, and offers a wide selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, seafood, and spices. There are also plenty of stands with coffee, pastries, and bread, as well as a few places where you can sit down for breakfast or lunch. In any case, it's worth a visit and a stroll. Additionally, there is a parking lot above the market, which is subject to a fee.

Adelaide Central Market is an absolute must-visit in the city! 🌆 The variety and abundance of desserts and fruits are nothing short of a food lover's dream.
Strolling through the market, I felt like a kid in a candy store—only better, because it's a dessert and fruit paradise! From decadent treats to the freshest fruits, the market caters to every sweet tooth and health-conscious shopper.
The vibrant atmosphere, the friendly vendors, and the sheer diversity of options make this market a standout destination. Whether you're a local or a visitor, Adelaide Central Market is the heart of culinary delights in Adelaide.
Definitely, don't miss out on the dessert offerings—they're a highlight that will satisfy any sweet craving. Five stars without a doubt!

I was hesitant on how I should score this place, it was either 3 or 4 stars and I did end up giving 4, the reason it was so hard to decide is because my mixed feelings about this place, as a local market it has a huge selection of different fruit and vegetables store almost like a farmer's market but it also combines a couple of nice eateries and wineries, to top that of it's always one of the busiest places in CBD which make parking and moving very disturbing on pick hours, I've been there a few times already as this is one of Adelaide iconic places and I can't deny that I've been there a few time and I'll probably be there many more times in the future, so all in all I would recommend going there for the experience just make sure to go when it's not super busy because then it's not as fun.

Let me jump straight into the highlights...
Get the custard tarts near the entrance. This is the best tasting tarts I ever had in my life. This is not an exaggeration. I hope it finds its way to Singapore and the world eventually.
Make sure you try the coffin bay oysters as well. It is not very fresh here as compared to the restaurant but... it certainly is much cheaper. Maybe you could ask and get them freshly shucked.
There is a wide selection of food, fruits and vegetable but the price are not very competitive.
It is a fun place to be at and certainly one of Adelaide's must go.

The experience of visiting here was very good. It sells foods from various countries and sells various fresh fruits and vegetables. Also, it was fun to see various cheeses and ham. If I lived nearby, I would have come often to shop. But I don't think it's bad for tourists to visit, either.

As the heart of Adelaide, it serves well, providing shopping and entertainment. Different sculptures add character, even if pigs and pigeons seem strange choices for the land of Koalas and Kookaburras. And if you're gonna meet somewhere, where better than the "Malls Balls"!

Great place to unwind and go on a shopping spree in the middle of Adelaide. Well connected by public transport. And you'll always find e-scooters nearby to ride on. Warning: the actual alley of Rundle mall is a no go zone for e-scooters and your e-scooter will power down if you try to drive through the open mall, may have to push through back to the street - which is not he best thing when you were zooming past crowd just a minute earlier.

The Art Gallery of South Australia is a major art institution in Adelaide, located on North Terrace. It has an extensive collection of paintings, sculptures, prints and other artworks from all over the world. The gallery is also home to regular exhibitions of contemporary and historical art. Start family day at the gallery is a great way to introduce children aged 3-12 to the joys (and challenges!) of art.
Loved coming to the art gallery, and my little explorer loved it as well, she was more interested then i expected. Art work was amazing, the current Dots display was something you really need to see.

A great place with great masterpieces. It’s free to access. They have guided tours happening at 3 different times during the day. It wasn’t crowded, but the place wasn’t deserted too. The art gallery has a cafeteria too. From art to ornaments to biological concepts to aboriginal art, this place displays a great collection even with origins from other countries. I would say it takes atleast about an hour to properly cover the place. It’s quite big. No parking since it’s in the heart of the city. You have to park somewhere else and get here.

A great public gallery, plenty of variety. There's weird, modern stuff for the trendy crowd. But also lots of quality, older work for those who appreciate aesthetics. The horse skins are a low point, Chiharu Shiota's 'Absence embodied' was a highlight. Overall, a couple of hours well spent.

It is always refreshing and intriguing to come here every couple of months when the new theme is coming up. The arts I saw today is pretty marvellous and strong. The blood-knitting-web seems “awfully splendid “, the horses statues are strong too. And really enjoy this season’s theme. As an art newbie, can’t say I have lots to say but they do make me thinking and enjoying.

You can go in for free and brought our tourist friends here and it was great and we all had a lovely experience. There was though a minor incident where one of my friend’s mom sat on a chair that was for display and it wasn’t meant to be sat on. Would be nice if there’s a bigger sign so that even the elderly can see it. If you have a backpack, you have to wear it in front. I always love the upside down tree installation that goes around. It is relaxing. It’s also nice there’s place to eat downstairs at the lower level. Worth a visit.

It’s free entry and has an excellent range of art from very old paintings to new, thru a web of red wool to a very strange (and grotesque) double horse. There is an incredible exhibit of clear glass balls that go black as you walk away from them. They sometimes have visiting exhibits. I saw a Picasso display of pencil drawings about 4 years ago. There is a child’s area where you can do drawings of your own.

This place is full of great art work. You can easily spend 3-4 hours without even noticing the time. It’s very beautiful and creative. Loved every minute of it!

Local galleries are must-visit every city we go. The highlight in Adelaide’s one is the collection that showing local rhythm. The overall setting and atmosphere making it a great experience.

The staff in the main entrance were helpful with navigating the guide map before entering the gallery.
Variety of art from Australia and other countries—art pieces, paintings, videos.
Plenty of spaces to move around which is important as some people might take some time appreciating and reading some displays and descriptions.
There is a cafe inside with food and drinks available which is located in front of the gallery shop.
The Adelaide Zoo is a world-renowned zoo and one of the city's most popular attractions. With over 500 animals, it is home to a range of species including lions, giraffes, meerkat, chimpanzees and so much more! The zoo has three levels of experiences to suit different needs and budgets and you will never be short on things to do when visiting.
This zoo was really awesome . We have seen many of zoos and comparatively this zoo has plenty of space for the animals and the number of trees and plants around really makes it feel like you are in a jungle/Forest.
We really enjoyed this zoo and the pandas and the Girraffes having a tall door to enter shade was our favourite 💛

Fabulous zoo suitable for the whole family!
Great collection of exhibits and animals. Navigation and access and all easy. There is a large children’s playground as well. Plenty of cleaver exhibits for nocturnal animals as well.
Strong recommend from me!

Beautiful Zoo and Animals. Had a lovely time with my family walking around.
Seen all the cute animals and had a good day.
Food is way overpriced we paid $42.30 for 3 hotdogs and 3 small chips. Eat before you go.

Great day out for the family.
If you have little ones, great the zoobaru for $15. Good fun.
You can probably see most animals in just over 2 hours.
If you go on Sunday, parking is free on plain tree drive.
Adam Brown — Google review
Every time we visit there is something different to see. The animals are well cared for and clearly do much goes on behind the scenes that the public likely aren’t aware of. I talked to a staff person whose job was to electronically document what the red pandas were doing every two minutes as they were newly introduced to each other.
An absolute South Australian icon and well known to be amongst one of the best zoos in the world. We’ve been to many and this is accurate. We have become life members due to the great place this is.

The zoo is a nice experience but not better than most others I have visited. Very good for children with a lot of Meet the Keeper educational shows through the day. We arrived at 945, most of the animals were hiding or asleep so I suggest to start in the afternoon. Took us 3 hours to see everything.
Stephanie Rose — Google review
Only a small space, but well laid out and so much happening. We even had the delight of seeing the Pandas, despite them not being on display. Friendly staff and great displays.
Only complaint: limited souvenirs.

On a recent visit to Adelaide I was privileged to visit Adelaide Zoo. It is absolutely charming, the gardens are divine and many of the enclosures are very innovative for example the aerial tunnels for the red pandas. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit can’t wait to go again

Phenomenal experience in Adelaide zoo that is bigger than it looks. Has every animals you can think of aside from aquatic animals (except for turtle 🐢 and penguins 🐧). There's roughly 2 cafes with food in here and plenty of bathroom while walking around. Aside from that, there's some shows or feeding session at specific hours that brings in crowds watching. Very spacious and pleasant visit so far.
Angsophea Eng — Google review
Very interesting and good variety of animals. Well presented animal enclosures. We enjoyed lunch in the zoo. The souvenirs were a bit lacking as I was looking for an adult size T-shirt 😞
Sanette Smith — Google review
A phenomenal adventure in every way. I recommend booking ahead if you want to go to any specific animal experiences, as there were only a few left when I went in the morning on a weekend, though I loved the tortoise and pygmy hippo experiences that I did go to, and so also could recommend just rocking up and seeing what "less popular" animals are still available for a more intimate experience (or even one-on-one experience as I had with the tortoises).
I spent an entire day here from almost opening time through to closing, and I still feel like I could have spent more time here because there are so many animals to see. Bring some good walking shoes, a bottle of water, and a fan if you're going in summer, though there is plenty of seating with some lovely views of the animals all around, and some air-conditioned areas such as where the insects are and pandas.
Lovely descriptive signage complete with an indication of how threatened each species is. If you'd like to see a particular animal, look up their most active hours ahead of time and plan your stroll past them then, or at feeding time (many more animals were active in the morning particularly on the hot summer day I went).
A beautiful zoo, definitely a must-visit if you are in Adelaide, especially as being the only zoo in Australia with giant pandas at time of writing.

Very clean and lovely scenery. Not as much to see as some other zoos I've been to, but still a great day. Especially If you have got little kiddies as everything is exciting 😊 The playground Is actually really good. Lots of tables and chairs and pricing was pretty standard for a public place.
Renee Kestell — Google review
Love the zoo, friendly, helpful staff. Nice layout with lots of cool plants. Animals look content in good size, clean enclosures. Like the conservation efforts and message of this zoo. As an added bonus, the bat colony just outside is quite simple unbelievable, I've never seen anything like it, amazing! Thanks Adelaide zoo 💖
Karen Kent — Google review
Very nice and fully equipped zoo. It is easily accessible for wheelchair. All the animals were happy and playful. Specially lions put on an excellent show by cuddling and playing with each other.
Rahila Iqbal — Google review
We liked our visit to the zoo! It was a beautiful day and we got ample time to spend time observing the animal mannerisms. The lioness was such a poser and Sumatran Tiger was not happy with something , Kangaroos and Wallabies were busy eating while the Dingo’s were busy playing! The orangutan walked the ramp and went out of sight!
Some said the zoo is small but I felt it was really well maintained and easy to cover in a couple of hours with the right dose of animals!

It's incredible how much joy Animals can bring to all walks of life, and having an ever expanding location like this is just incredible.
I haven't been here much in my adult years, so I was blown away by the developments
Amazing breadth of animals and a well structured area that promotes the celebration of wildlife
An absolute perfect day out for family - everyone should go

Wow! What an amazing zoo! I was so impressed. The variety of animals was amazing. There were the likes of tigers and pandas which seem to be so rare to find at zoos. We also saw the animals so up close which was incredible.
The environment was beautiful and green and there were barely any people there on a weekday. Winner!
There are also helpful and knowledgeable volunteers all around the zoo which was a nice touch.

We had a fantastic visit to the zoo, where we enjoyed seeing a wide variety of animals and admiring the beautiful plants. A helpful tip for future visitors: try to visit the pandas before lunchtime, as they tend to sleep in the afternoon, making them harder to spot later in the day.

It was a beautiful place , but few of the animals like the penguins , birds of prey , big red kangaroos were missing in the enclosure . Great spot for families. It would have been great if it had more cafes or eateries

Been a long time since I went to the zoo. Nicely updated facilities. Lion and lioness feeding time was the highlight! And of course the Pandas (I like that you do not have a separate fee to see the Pandas now) Also, enjoyed the walkthrough avaries. The pigmy hippo was a favourite, watching the hippo play with a ball in and out of the water.

Relatively small compared to other zoo's but very nice for what it is and entertaining if you have little ones, Ive been here twice now with my family and would say its a good day out if you pair a visit here with the botanic gardens or something happening in that very scenic north terrace area. My only negative is Id say the ticket prices are a bit too high but I guess you could always buy a membership

Good collection of wild life. Kids loved it. On site facilities for dining (cafeteria), seating and tables, toilets.Has a play area for kids as well. Space is creatively utilized to contain and display wild life.

I spent a few hours and saw everything more than once. Many more animals than I’ve shared on my review too. If you want to see giant pandas, get in quickly as it looks as though they will go back to China later in 2024 due to lack of funding. The zoo has a cafe and a couple of gift shops, isn’t too big and minimal enclosures are currently closed. Book animal encounters well ahead to avoid disappointment. Staff were friendly and informative. Wear comfy walking shoes, bring water, wear a hat & sunscreen!

Visited this place mainly for the pandas which was lovely! Lucky to see at least one of the 2 pandas active during the feeding session. We also went around to see the other attractions and other animals—some areas were crowded but this is expected as it is school holidays.
There are water fountains around the area which is good.
Shaded seating areas are available for quick rests in between.
Toilets were clean.

A very small zoo compared other Interstate zoos, however it was nice to be able to see the animals with ease. The whole place felt like new, it was nice to walk around. Only wish the parking was easier & cheaper.

We had an absolutely fantastic day with heaps to see. The giraffes were amazing and the meerkats and otters were just adorable.
The coffee at the cafe in the middle of the zoo was just delicious.
I think it’s brilliant how they have a big bird cage backing on to the toilets in the middle of the zoo but definitely feel sorry for the birds with the things they have to smell!
Of course the toilets could have some better up keep but over all it wasn’t the worst.

A wonderful zoo to visit. Lots of easily accessible paths and ramps for pushers and wheelchairs.
Some great demonstrations of exotic birds, sea lions and other animals throughout the day.

It was our first outing to the Zoo. Wide variety of animals to see and great outing overall. All facilities are very well maintained, water points throughout the Zoo as well for filling up your water bottle. The giant Panda was our favourite. Unfortunately there were no Koala's at the time of our visit. We will definitely be back.
End of the line tram stop for Glenelg area. It’s in the middle of a piazza style square, surrounded with eateries and sporting a water fountain seemingly designed to entertain children and parents alike.
Plenty of nights spots too, it seems, and the beach is literally a stones throw away.

The Adelaide Oval is a 53,500-capacity sports and big-name gig venue in the Riverbank Precinct of Adelaide, Australia. It has hosted cricket matches and other sports events since its founding in 1871 and has also been used for stadium tours and functions. The redevelopment of the stadium in the past few years has boosted seating capacity to 53,000 when they're all yelling.
Adelaide Oval is one of the most iconic cricket ground in Australia. Located in North Adelaide just across the river Torrens, it is considered as one of the most picturesque grounds in the world. It was established in 1871 and recently completed its 150 year anniversary and the home to cricket, football, rugby, shows, concerts and events. Was quite impressed with stadium tour which was very knowledgeable and highly recommend if you want to know more about the ground.

Footy games are a whole different vibe! So many great opportunities at Adelaide oval located in North Adelaide, right across from the River Torrens. Roofclimbs, catering, weddings, accommodation, concerts.
Would highly recommend to anyone for any type of experience. You won't be disappointed.

We were in the mtx club. This was a great way to enjoy the game. There is a restaurant up there with a fireplace and takeaway burgers, chips etc.
Multiple bars to order drinks from and plenty of table and chairs.
The stadium is stunning. I loved this experience.

This review is from a corporate invite to the Gage Rd Bunker for the Crows vs Port showdown.
A great evening of footy at the heart of the action. The Gage Rd Bunker is right behind the Crows cheer squad close to the goal. The view of the other end of the pitch was less than ideal but the home end couldn't have been better. The Bunker bar and food package, obviously featuring the Gage Rd product range, was good with a reasonable range and generous quantity of food. Being able to see into the Crows team room was an interesting insight especially as they won and we got to feel part of the celebration.

Did the tour, my advice, do the tour! Our guide, Chris, was so knowledgeable. So much history around the AO and he knew it all and boy can he walk fast. The old scoreboard is a historical standout in this age of technology. The Bradman museum, the change rooms, the story behind Victor Richardson...wow! So much to take in. Thanks AO and Chris.

We visited this nice stadium for the first time and of course, to witness a great battle between Adelaide Crows & Gold Coast Suns with a pleasant result Haha. We were truly amazed by the astonishing structure and design of the Oval as one of the most iconic footy stadiums in Australia. Did not even think that from the outside the Oval could be such a masterpiece. We would definitely be back there for another match.

If you want to experience best and top notch hospitality do visit this Hotel.
Housekeeping staff are really doing a great job as you won’t be able to find any dust on any of the furniture tops or side tables. The aroma of the room is so beautiful.
Front office staff: They are really best at providing all the information and the help you need for your stay. The special note thing which they do is really cute and good intangible experience.
Food is at their best as well.

One of the greatest cricket stadiums I've ever seen. Great venue for everyone, with all the facilities when needed. Maintaining really well, and beautiful architecture. Located in the city with easy access to transport facilities. Ample parking available close to the venue.
Eranga Tennakoon — Google review
Great stadium as seats on the lower level are pretty close to the ground. The only issue is that people who see the first 2 rows that you can't buy are fill up from people just wandering down. Security very laxed on that front. Around the stadium is great as plenty of benches to stand around to eat or drink. The rooftop walks look pretty good for the dare devil
John Cartwright — Google review
Fantastic stadium in Australia, this is home to the Adelaide Crows and Port Adelaide Power AFL teams, and also home to the Adelaide Strikers cricket big bash team, and to international cricket test matches, T20 and one day matches in Australia.
I went to the Crows v North Melbourne match and the crowd atmosphere was electric. The place to be is on the hill, but you won’t be able to see the other part of the ground fully. You need to be somewhere in the middle and on the second level to get a great view but it will cost you money.
The stadium has several food and drink stations so you won’t go hungry or thirsty during any footy or cricket match.
The stadium is a short walk from Adelaide central train station and it is a really nice walk along the riverbank.
Phil Tad — Google review
Magnificent structure. All stadiums are obviously designed to cater for large crowds but AO is efficient. Even with 50,000 in attendance the concourse feels spacious. Also lots of sanitary facilities for the ladies so no excessive queues. I do however wish stadiums had a kid friendly area for little ones to stay safe and roam, but maybe that’s too much to ask as viewing space is money!

This was my second visit to the Oval. This time, it was a great experience. The winter package deal included valet parking, complimentary drink and chocolates (very small box), and a 3 course meal at Bespoke. Good value. Room 628 was great, a bit more spacious than the last room I was in. The view was amazing. Staff happily and promptly provided requested softer pillows and a shower chair. A discounted breakfast was offered and enjoyed.

We attended a private function at this venue, The venue itself was impressive and the staff there were very attentive, we arrived early so tried out the wine bar upstairs with a massive selection of food and drinks, this was followed by a private walking of the grounds, a firework show and then a great dinner event with lots of activities to keep us all busy, the location is an easy walk to the city across the bridge and to the casino hotel which is also a great venue to stay at

Beautiful spot! Make sure you go to the kiosk next to the boat ramp to get a key first though (learnt that from experience 😂). The boardwalk needs repair and it looks like a part of the mangroves need some expert attention, but still well worth the trip
Bianca Paterson — Google review
Still unable to access full loop due to boardwalk needing repair but we still thought it was ok & scenic. I went with my 3yr old son and as the forest turned green, parts of the walk got a little slippery so hold little ones hands and get them to slow down. Some pretty spots hidden throughout and could see small fish swimming in the shallow waters which my son loved. Toilets available near main entrance.
Aerwyn — Google review
Very quiet and beautiful trail through the mangroves. Unfortunately they haven’t repaired the boardwalk, so The trail only goes to the lookout and return the same way. Before you arrive make sure to ring the tackle shop to see if they are open so you can collect the key from the shop. It can be closed as the tide goes over the boardwalk.

We had a good time at the trail. We needed to pick up the key and leave a deposit but all fairly easy. The first part was a bit burned/dead (?) but the remainder was very green. Good time.

Great short walk, less than an hour return. Single path to the end then returns. There are toilets at the entrance and a small place with info of the trail not far from it. The view from the end platform lookout is really nice. Very peaceful, birds everywhere. Not suitable for little kids as the boardwalk is narrow and doesn't have any fence or handrails.
Michelle Liew — Google review
Very quiet (we were the only ones there for an hour), unfortunately a large section was closed off, and a section of the mangrove had died off. However, it was a tranquil and flat walk that was interesting and beautiful.
Collect the access card key from Tackle and Tucker at the carpark opposite the access ramp, leave $20 deposit or ID for the key card.
This playground is known for its fun slides, bouncy boomerang, basketball court, and BBQ stations. It's a short drive away from the Adelaide CBD and can be enjoyed by kids of all ages.
Nice and big playground off the sea shore housing lots of fun games. There are numbers of swings, slides, half court basketball court, as well as bbq areas. Great place for some fun among the whole family.
Anish Maharjan — Google review
It is by far the best playground we’ve ever went to. It is not just only for kids but also for kids at heart. The kids would love it more because parents can join them in these massive slides. There are variety of slides, rides, and adventure activities. There are slides as high as the mountain, where adventurous kids would love. On the other part of the playground, another set of spiral slides for more thrilling and fun experience. Additionally, for small kids who are still scared to go in the slide, they can opt to play at the kiddie/submarine playground which the kids would love to. They can also play in the sand or in the swing if they want to.
Another plus point is that the park is by the beach, you can go to the pirate ship for a change of scenery or to just take pictures. Just be careful enough especially with little kids during high tide.
There are also a lot of picnic tables, as well as covered ones. Parking and toilet rooms are also adequate for the playground’s visitors. Just make sure to bring sunscreen, water, and food especially this summer. We didn’t see any restaurants or stores that is very near to the playground, so make sure to bring your own food. Also, the playground is not open 24/7, so always make sure to check the website’s update.
Lastly, have fun and create beautiful memories with your kids, family, or friends.

St Kilda Adventure playground is out of this world! It is a massive playground with so many play equipment that can cater to kids and kids at heart. It boasts of the tallest, castle slide which is truly a representation of the St. Kilda Adventure Playground. It has 2 kinds of flying fox a big and small one. Several swings, monkey Bar net equipment, see saw, several slides and a mobility swing. The playground has a huge grassy area and equipment is on soft sandy soil The park is filled with covered seating areas with BBQ facilities. It has a toilet area, water fountain and designated place where you can bring your pets. It also has a beautiful old 3 level wooden ship with wooden cannons looking over the water.which is part of the mangrove trail if you wish to follow the path. The playground has ample parking areas however if it gets full there is a large parking area next to the boat ramp which also is also 24hour campground. Overnight RV parking is $8 non concession and $6 for concession per night. There is a Bait Shop called Tackle and Tucker where you pay your fee, they also serve fish and chips, cold drinks and fishing items. They have a dump point with bore water faucet next to it. The parking lot is flat loose gravel bitumen, quiet and we'll lighted at night. There is a toilet block next to it that locks at night time as well as the boom gates to the jetty.

I can't remember how many times my family and friends have been here. This is one of the largest and most impressive playgrounds I have seen in Adelaide. Lovely children are spoiled for fun. Where do I start, this park has everything from epic slides, a castle, shipwreck, toddler playground and much much more.
If you're going for a picnic there aren't a lot of shady spots so be prepared. There were a few tables with shade but they were all reserved by 930am.
It's only 30 minutes from Adelaide CBD so definitely head out.

Wow, what a place. Well maintained and free for the entire family. We picked a good day with not too many people. My daughter absolutely loved it and made new friends. It is a shame that it's a bit out of the way, but I imagine that is why it's not been trashed with graffiti and vandalism.

Oh, where to start!!!!
I'm from interstate. Was recommended to try this place for our kids (9 & 4)
They had the time of their lives. There is no park in my state even remotely like this. I love the huge metal super slides, a lot of places don't have this kind of stuff any more, parents are so 'sue everyone' these days. And the flying fox. So fun. So many big slides, and swings, stuff to climb, jump and swing. The kids WILL SLEEP after this ... do yourself a favour 😄

Great place to take the kids out for the day. We even jumped on the Tram and headed to the Tram Museum, which the kids found interesting. The Tram family pass cost $28 for 2 adults and 2 children, entry into the museum was covered in the cost. I liked the fact that the kids could jump on the old Trams and ring the bells, which became a little noisy at one point... but worth it.

Firstly, no idea how anyone is rating this lower than 5 stars. This is an absolutely amazing park and playground. It has something for literally everyone.
It may be a little exposed, due to lack of shade cloth or tall trees, but it’s an amazing place for your children to experience.
Take your children here. Seriously.
Consider whatever you may… then just say yes. Do it. You won’t regret it.

Great park for kids specially, the sliding and climbing robe is beautiful. I often had seen beautiful sunset here too. But if you are coming at summer hot day you must put mosquitoes spray cause there are heaps of nasty mosquitoes in the hot day…

Martindale Hall is an impressive Georgian-style manor situated 3km south of Mintaro. Constructed in 1880 for Edmund Bowman Jnr, a young pastoralist who unfortunately lost the family fortune due to drought and plummeting wool prices, the hall boasts extensive grounds, period furniture, and an ornate stairway made of blackwood. It also houses a Mintaro-slate billiard table and a lavish smoking room that resembles a museum.
Magnificent building, beautiful rooms and furnished on a grand scale. Great you can walk around the whole place and see it as it was. A must visit attraction $18 P/Adult.

It has been beautifully maintained and restored with priceless treasures still on display. The grandeur is an oddity especially considering how isolate the estate would have been at its construction. We arrived at opening on a Sunday morning and had the place to explore for ourselves. Have been wanting to visit for ages and recommend that you do also!
David Maddison — Google review
This place ! Wow .. The volunteers who maintain the statuesque Martindale Hall are wonderful !
The quality of restoration, their dedication, their obvious hard work.. just wow I don't know how they keep it looking new .
And the ceilings... Devine ! To the person or people who maintain them and paint the ceiling roses, personally I say thank you for your time so I can enjoy them.
The love, care and passion for Martindale Hall is to be recognised and commended.
And friendly, it was a pleasure to be able to chat and learn so much about its history.
We went on a weekend just after New Year's Day it was quiet and peaceful, we had the hall to ourselves!! Which was a truly unique experience.. if you want to avoid crowds, go then !
Their is carparking a very short walk to the hall, toilets and steps too the main entrance.

Amazing place, need to visit.
Very interesting part of South Australian history. And where they filmed " Picnic at Hanging Rock " many years ago.
J E — Google review
Beautiful old house with incredible history and very well maintained. $18 entry but you are keeping history alive! Just outside of the historic town of Mintaro and well worth the visit.
Brenton B — Google review
A truly remarkable piece of history. Do your research before your visit and enjoy.
We spent at least a few hours here. Really enjoyed learning about the past.
I’d love some better access and some guided tour options with more access to other areas.
It’s great that it has been preserved.
Kayne (Kano La La) — Google review
$18 pp and $10 child entry is overpriced. No option for a family ticket. There was only one other car there on a Saturday in school holidays. I wonder why🤪 make it more affordable. So we just admired the building from the outside
Shannon Nowakowski — Google review
Really liked the walk around. $18 per person is way too steep in my opinion. Should be $10. Also lack of signage on what's what, not sure if they do guided tours but that would be great to add context.
Mo Tee — Google review
Before you go is worth it to watch the movie "picnic at the hanging rock" the movie is an Australian classic and it was filmed here. The place is beautiful very well maintained and with a great story behind. 18 dollars to enter , plenty of parking. Opens at 10am
Went expecting to get a coffee and have a quick walk A$18 C$10. Stayed over an hour for the puzzles, games and quiz throughout the garden and maze. Had a great time.
Kirsty Malpass — Google review
It's a great place for kids and there are a few things to do here, other than the maze. There are life size board games, including chess, Jenga and checkers. There are tables to eat at, plus some coffee and food options. Souvenirs are available. I just feel the admission price is quite steep, at $15 per adult (price correct as of Jan '22). I get that they have high overheads and maintenance, but the maze is not that difficult for an adult and can be completed in about 10-15 mins. Also, for the same price, you can visit Martindale Hall which is a 5 minute drive away and has much more to see. (If you do decide to visit Mintaro Maze and Martindale Hall, keep your receipts, as you get a $1 or $2 discount if you visit both places, but you need to ask for it)..
Craigee Mac — Google review
This was probably the best maze I've been to in Australia. A good sized maze that isn't trivial and lots of puzzles and games outside to do as well. 100% recommend this place for a visit.
Bevan Coleman — Google review
Completely overpriced for what is a small maze. $18 adult $10 per kid. $10 per person would be more than ample or at least include scones and jam with an adult ticket. I wanted to get scones too but after spending $56 to enter the maze, I couldn't justify it. Only worth going if they adjust the prices
Shannon Nowakowski — Google review
Absolutely worth the money.
Such a cool place for the family and lots to do other than the maze itself.
Mick M — Google review
I felt like a child once again in this place. If you love riddles and make-believe worlds, you will find this place so much fun!
Rahul Rao — Google review
For the entry fee I am not sure if really worth it. Kids enjoyed but not really enjoyed by our group.
Ernest Hamlin — Google review
This was so much fun and a little frustrating too. I nearly found all the things you are challenged to find on the property
Karen Prior — Google review
Make you get you get here before 4pm.
Looks like fun. Lovely gardens.
Kayne (Kano La La) — Google review
Be aware is not free, 18 dollars person person. The maze is not that big you can do it all in 15 minutes. It is really nice garden and very well taken care. It is a tourist spot so they can charge anything but once you done you will never go back.
Janaina Carvalho Lopes — Google review
An amazing place for "kids" of all ages from 1 to 101 yo. Just loved it. Thank you so much to the Morris family for creating such a place to visit on a fun day out.
Mark Fraser — Google review
We enjoyed a lot taking photos in the pretty garden and solving little quizzes & games. Nice touristic place !
Soy K — Google review
Exciting and fun, we ordered food and coffee first before the maze challenge, then spend more time playing their table games; it was really entertaining. We jumped in every table to try a variety of games, good to let your mind and boredom release even a while. Forget about the entrance fee, free your mind and have fun and let the challenge begin.
jean lazaro — Google review
This time, called in for coffee (delicious) Travellers at a nearby table recommended scones (warm, with homemade jam and real cream). Generously served. Not disappointed!
Thanks, Mintaro!
Bronwyn Lucas — Google review
Worth a visit for the whole family or the romantic couple date. There is plenty to keep everyone entertained.
Entry fee applicable at the cafe before entry to the grounds.
The maze & premises is smaller than anticipated so don’t fear, the little ones won’t get lost.
Cafe offers good coffee & adult refreshments, lucky dips ($8) for the kids, plenty of games outdoors aside the maze to keep the kids entertained.
We even spotted rabbits on the grounds which was a pleasant surprise for the little ones.
Keep your receipt of entry as if you will receive discount entry fee to Martindale Hall.
Great information delivered with a smile. The girls today were super friendly and helpful- top marks.
Genevieve Vandenberg — Google review
The staff are helpful and definitely knowledgeable to the history which is a bonus.
Paid the fee, deposit and receive the keys to unlock the town history sites.
Adults $30 school aged children free.
It definitely is worth it. Allow yourself 4 hours to complete all tour sites.
Janet’s Journey — Google review
Really disappointing. While staying in Clare, I drove to Burra to revisit the great heritage places I recall from a visit 40 years ago. (Maybe $100 round trip for car expenses?) Only to be told there is now a charge of $30 plus $50 key deposit to visit these places. I was told the charge is for maintenance. I declined but did go to the miners' dugouts I recalled. The place is littered with broken glass and plastic and other trash that looks like it's been there some time. So I wondered where the maintenance moneys are applied. Anyway, i think $30 to view heritage assets that were previously free is far too excessive. I guess that was a goodbye to Burra.
BictonB — Google review
Got some sound advice on how to tour the area.
I was born and raised just down the road in Saddleworth yet I didn't know about the brewery tunnels or the prison. Was very interesting to see.

Drove almost two hours to Burra today, Saturday, website said they’re open 7 days per week and open today. When we arrived, there was a note on the door saying closed till 2nd January. Could have mentioned this on your website.

Sevenhill Cellars.
Source: Sevenhill Cellar website's History.
"While the origins of Sevenhill Cellars date back to the mid-nineteenth century, its roots run much deeper and go all the way back to the 16th century when a young Spanish courtier called Inigo, eventually swapped a life of violence for one dedicated to helping others and co-founded the religious order we know today as the Jesuits.
He mistakenly thought the Latin translation of his name was Ignatius and hundreds of years later, the more well-known St Ignatius has stuck fast."
As you walk through the cellar you will be transported to Inigo's época.
Don't miss this visit and a great wine.

This is a non profit winery runner by professionals but owned by the Jesuits. It is just a short ride from the bike trail so definitely a must. Great wine! But most of all beautiful grounds. The church is close by too and has lots of history worth it to visit!

A unique chance to be immerse in a piece of history and a stunning natural surrounding. Bungaree Station is an incredible historical location and it's a great privilege to be able to stay here and explore the property. With a little one in tow it was great fun to feed the animals in the morning - Mark is very kind and knowledgeable - and to wonder through the station to discover its past and history. The Groom's quarters where we stayed was very comfortable for a family - although the furniture is a little bit dated - and it provided everything we needed. The property is just a short drive from Clare and perfect to explore the valley. I'll definitely be coming back!

Wonderfully rustic but still conveniently close to Clare. We stayed in the Swaggies’ Hut. Uncluttered but well-appointed, with a modern interior and bathroom (cleverly built into a water tank). Spotlessly clean. Vicky & Mark were wonderful hosts. Highly recommended.
This is one of the best museums we have visited. An extensive exhibition on the mining history starting in 1961. Being able to walk around the actual sites as well is a bonus. So much history being kept for the future is good to see. Even just to walk on the worn old floorboards. You can visit the old mine sights even if the museum isn't open. Get a map from the info centre.

Interesting museum with plenty of history on showcase, staff have a lot of knowledge of what's on display. The lighthose outside of the museum is the Tipara Lighthouse, which has been there since 1995. In 1887 the lighthouse was standing 15 kilometers off the shore of Moonta Bay and about 30 meters above sea level.

$6 admission. This museum is an absolute gem with so many items from the history of this industrial town and the shipping that went out of it. Half is mostly about the history of the town whereas the other half is about the nautical history and how it has affected the town with the shipping. The personnel were super helpful and they have so many pictures so if you think that you have any connection to anything in this town, chances are that it's here. My great grandfather sailed on a cargo ship from here in 1935, and yes, there are pictures of the ship in the Wallaroo harbour. I highly recommend this museum! Oh and they have a real giant squid! Super rare to see.

A great gaol to visit. Not only was it built way back but it only closed down in the 1970s. 3 big cell block wings and a smaller one out back. This gaol gives you a glimpse in life behind bars through a 100 odd years. Love the artifacts found on site along with period clothing. Well worth the look. Make sure you have more then an hour to spend here as it is worth it. Why not take the stairs up the tower to get a birds eye view of the whole jail.
And if you want to stay here why not arrange accommodation with the jail and spend a night or 2. Bring a jacket as it is quite cool inside.

Stayed a night there... nice clean place... $40pp for touring and staying in the cell. Stayed there with group of friends abd eaxh if us got our own cell to lick in ourselves..
There is full kitchen facility including bbq microwave and fridge.

Great bike shop and cafe. On our first day in Melrose we rented Trek Fuel EX 7s and the bikes were in pristine condition with suspension already adjusted for our weight and preferences. Bikes of this quality are seriously good value for the small rental fee. Workshop staff member even let me borrow a tool quickly to fix an issue I had on another bike.
Had breakfast at the cafe the next morning, outstanding coffee and great food options.

The best bike store in the Flinders Ranges in South Australia. Iron Thumbs got my tyre off and I was back in business on the Mawson Trail. Even has a cafe with loads of treats. Highly recommended bike store. The town is the oldest town in the Flinders Ranges and Outback. Well worth a visit.

OTES went above and beyond expectations, I came during off season, contacted them on the off chance they would rent me a bike. The store was being renovated and the owner on holidays in Tassie, but he was kind enough to have his lovely wife and owner of the cafe sort me out with a bike. It’s been a while since I’ve hit the tracks. But the bike was just right, they even provided me with a messy (cloth map). Such a chilled experience. The tracks on the other hand, epic fun. If you want some fun hit dodging bullets, it comes at you fast. What a great way to spend the day. Thank you OTES. Highly recommended

Excellent!
After the summit hike is already 3.40pm! This is the only place still providing proper meals (not only chips). Other places are closed between 2-5pm.
Super warm fireplace made my day 😃

Incredible service and not bike related.
We had bought some items in the cafe and asked about walks in the area. The friendly waitress sent us into the bike shop. The man there could not have been more helpful and gave us all the time we needed to understand the best use of our time the next day. Tips about the upcoming weather and terrain were perfect. We did the Dutchman Stern the next day and rate it as one of the best 1/2 walks we have done throughout Australia. Settled into camp in the afternoon and will come back for Alligator Gorge next time. Thankyou...

Food was good, coffee was good, and the staff at the bike shop are definitely worth having a chat to before heading out to the nearby trails.
A lookout point
Great 360° view of the whyalla city, the jetty and the beach and the iron factory
Very informative about the history of whyalla and iron ore and history of the industry
A good place to see the sunset
A place where Queen Elizabeth has arrived
Well maintained and clean

This lookout shows you the circular jetty in Whyalla. (The only one in the southern hemisphere) The town itself self as well as the beaches. It can get windy up there, so if you have long hair, either tie it back or hold it. You can sit at the chairs under the rotunda. There are 3.

Nice views of the shore and part of the residential areas of Whyalla. Also a good spot to learn about the history of the town. A photo inside the frame is a must, when visiting Whyalla!

One of the best lookouts I'd ever seen. The view from the top was superb. The view of the blue sea took my breath away. It's overlooking the whole town. Definitely a must-visit.

A place to visit, especially with history surrounding the town posted hete, a description of why they have a cannon mounted here and bunker, then the other stories told here on the plaques are part of the towns history. After that take the time to enjoy 360 degree views of ocean and town

This is a great Whyalla tourist attraction, the views of the steel works, beach and ranges is awesome. A must see viewing point if passing through or visiting Whyalla. Can get a bit blowy on really windy days, so rug up.

Awesome lookout for us brisbane tourists.
Really see the landscapes of whyalla, including the unique jetty, the clear waters, the dolphins, the war bunker, the steel refinery and the small town.
Went for a walk down to the jetty and it's quite peaceful, theirs random spots of information about the sealife and history of the town, whyalla and the jetty which is always fun to read about.
I recommend this spot for a visit if you're ever passing through.
If you have the chance to go on the tour of the ship Whyalla I recommend it. Tour guide was very informative. Loved the experience of walking through this ship and learning a piece of our history.

Decided to stop whilst on our road trip to Port Lincoln, the sign said open 10am till 4pm yet when we entered we were told we can only view the museum if we book in advance and it's a guided tour only at 11:30 or 13:30 daily.

I visited the museum as part of entrance to the former HMAS Whyalla ship tour. Very worthwhile to see the short video of the retrieval and rehoming of the ship on site.
The rest of the museum is interesting and informative if you like that type of thing. I do! There were multiple themed rooms. I added a pic of a typical display, however there was much more including model ships, 'artifacts', and other historical information and stories.

Highly recommend the tour of the former HMAS Whyalla - it’s a lot more interesting than I initially expected, I’ll be honest. Rod did an amazing job of educating us about this ships history, what it was like to live on it, and how it got to where it is today. His passion for his job and his town is evident and really rubbed off on us. Thanks Rod!

An interesting place. I didn't go aboard the ship as there's a lot of steps to get up there & I don't think I could have made it (as I have an injury). Heaps of information in therre & lovely, helpful staff.

Rod was a great guide for the ship tour, he was passionate about the ship and the connection it had with Whyalla. It was good to see how life was on board the WW2 vessel.
The tours run at 11:30 am and 01:30pm from the info centre and run for 45- 60 minutes, you may need to book ahead as there was only 10 spots available with people waiting.
You can visit the maritime museum afterwards with well maintained grounds.

Great museum and Mine sweeper ship. So good to go on the ship and see how it use to work and the people who used it.! Nice pathways and board walk.

The museum has a nice model railway but the HMAS WHYALLA is the drawcard. View the ship by tour only, 11:30 and 1:30pm. Tour is free with entry to the museum, well worth it.

This place is a must see in Whyalla. If you like museums you will like the way the information is displayed and interpreted. It is a very interactive museum. The kids during the school holidays is having a fun and a very informative activities of which they will have a prize after completing it, the other good thing about the kids activities besides it's educational that it is very well distributed along the museum halls so it keeps the children busy while parents can enjoy each hall.
I missed the ship tour though
Shahy Radwan — Google review
I have driven past on so many occasions, but never expected it to be so fantastic. The tour of the ship was unbelievable, my 9yo absolutely loved it. Ontop of this, I heartily recommend visiting and spending a few hours to see the history of a ship in the museum, well worth its weight in gold. There is also fun activities to keep children amused for quite some time, a theatre to see the grounding of the HMAS WHYALLA, (very informative and entertaining) , as well as model railways and many other artifacts. If you are visiting Whyalla, definitely put it in your plans, take the time to visit, you will not be disappointed.
Train journeys in restored timber cars pulled by steam engines through rocky mountain passes.
We saw this on TV whilst travelling in the area. Had to have a ride and booked our tickets a week and a half ahead. Glad we did the train was full on the day, so book in advance. The railway station is beautiful, has a small museum and a gift shop with rather a good selection of goods for you to buy. The staff are all very informative and friendly. The carriages are all very well maintained, the only thing that was a bit disappointing was the seating is along the carriage rather than across so you could have a window seat. Bit that was quickly forgotten when the steam engine made it's way to the station to couple up with the carriages. The journey from Quorn to Woolshed Flat was most enjoyable watching the scenery go by, there were some very close rock formations and a very narrow bridge. But it was interesting all the way. At woodshed Flat there was the opportunity to purchase hot pasties and sausage rolls, scones, jam and cream, plus tea and coffee. The return journey gave those at the front of the train the opportunity to be at the back and get those perfect train photos. All up a great way to spend a day. Don't forget to allow some time to explore Quorn and it's history.

Wonderful experience, so glad I did it. However travelling on it in winter is freezing! Make sure you rug up really well, even bring a blanket. There is no heating on the train and the windows are allowed to be open for people to take photos etc.

Fantastic day today (23/09/2023) on the Pichi Richi Railway! Very knowledgeable volunteers to point out areas of significance along the journey. Definitely recommend. The photos don’t do it justice. Lots of people following the train along it’s journey in their cars to wave and take photos. Plenty of room to sit down without being squashed in the cabins. Recommend booking a table at the cafe in Quorn because it gets very busy when the train pulls up. Buy tickets well in advance to avoid disappointment for the railway as it is popular.

Lovely heritage railway. Scenery along the way is stunning, especially at dusk. Check the timetable and book before leaving, especially off peak times when services can be rather scant. If you miss the train chase it with your car for some great trackside photos.

I was like a kid in a candy shop with this experience. Such a beautiful and well kept train. Being able to take my children on this was fantastic like my dad had done for me. What made it even better was when they brought my son up into the cab to see what it looked like and then explained everything. He's still talking about it. I hope we can keep this going for future generations. The volunteers on board provided a great commentary and were absolutely lovely. Try the scones as they were so good.

Our 6 hour tour with Astrid was a wonderful experience. Astrid has extensive knowledge of the geology, wildlife and history of the Ikara-Flinders Ranges and the surrounding regions. It was truly fascinating. A highlight for me was seeing the Yellow footed rock wallaby.

Loved it! Highly recommend the 4x4 tour of brachina and bunyeroo gorge, for us it was the highlight of our trip to the flinders ranges. Highly informative about the history of the region and we saw pretty much every animal (and bird) there was including baby emu chicks. The lamingtons hit the spot for morning tea as well. Full stop this tour is DEFINITELY worth it!!!

My wife and I went on a four day tour with Wallaby Tracks last week, and the entire experience was top notch! From the initial inquiries to booking and answering whatever questions we had (this was the first time I had taken such a tour) leading up to the tour, everything was seamless. Paul was our tour guide and far exceeded any expectations I had. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the entire region, took the time to show us everything and anything we came across in Flinders Ranges - seeing kangaroos, rock wallabys, emus, all sorts of birds, a 4x4 tour as well as a flight over Flinders Ranges. To further personalize the experience, he took the time to show us some more detailed family history from the region that they researched before we arrived (a relative lived here about 150 years ago). If you are looking for a personalized and easy trip into the Outback, Wallaby Tracks is the way to go!

We did a 4 hour tour of Wilpena Pound's ranges and gorges with Astrid of Wallaby Tracks Adventure Tours. We genuinely felt we were travelling with a friend in the air conditioned comfort of Astrid's Land Cruiser as she took us off the beaten track through the National Park showing us ancient geological features, wild life including kangaroos, rock wallabies, families of emus, wedge-tailed eagles, rainbow bee eaters and more plus glorious views from look-outs. Astrid's commentary reflected her deep knowledge of the Flinders Ranges. We were cool as cucumbers in car during the 34C summer heat and had the chance to stretch our legs at various rock formations and lookouts. This tour is highly recommended, don't give it a second thought before you book!!

I can highly recommend touring with this company. Our family of four adults visited the southern Flinders Ranges staying 2 nights at Ikara (Wilpena Pound).
1: We had accommodation at the Adelaide Riviera Hotel at an excellent rate
2: We left our car parked safely in their gated carpark while on tour.
3: We were picked up and dropped off at the hotel.
4: The vehicle we toured in was a Toyota Landcruiser (series 3). It felt very safe. It was a small tour for the four of us.
5: Our guide was sensational! Astrid has a warm and lovely manner, great knowledge and enthusiasm about the places we saw, and was very flexible about the itinerary. We had plenty of time to stop at the places we were interested in. We never felt rushed.
6: All our expenses were paid for in the price, all meals and snacks, accommodation, and fuel. We only had to pay for alcohol and souvenirs. No hidden extras.
We will book another holiday with Wallaby Tours again. Next time, the Northern Flinders Ranges! Can't wait.

An amazing once-in-a-lifetime experience! Astrid and Paul made us feel 'at home' from the outset. The unseasonal rain in Coober Pedy and the Flinders Ranges meant that we saw these areas in a unique way. The rain also meant that Astrid and Paul had their hands full navigating a safe passage on desert and mountain roads unaccustomed to wet weather! They arranged this effortlessly and keep us safe and on track regardless! All aspects of our trip (timing, accommodation, food, sightseeing) and all of our unique requests were met generously. Truly memorable. Thank you so much.

What a fantastic trip of a lifetime enjoyed by my friend and I. Paul took us on a 5 day / 4 night adventure from Adelaide, Coober Pedy, Lake Eyre and the Flinders Ranges. Paul is an excellent driver, knows heaps about the areas we explored and you felt completely safe and looked after. We saw amazing vistas and met some wonderful characters along the way. I think we experienced more on this trip than you might on others because Paul knew so much and because he knew all the locals. Would highly recommend this trip to others and would like to do more trips with Paul and Astrid.

Paul was very knowledgeable on all aspects of the Flinders.
Thanks so much.
Unique exhibits offering a journey through the history of the Outback, plus a gift & coffee shop.

Lots more to see than I had expected. Lots of it is recorded content that you can watch or bypass. Displays are a little dated but, essentially being a museum, it doesn't matter too much. Kids (9 & 15 were kept entertained for over an hour).

A fantastic display in their ‘time tunnel’. The centre itself is just full of incredibly helpful, kind and generous ladies. Just loved our entire trip here and happily stayed here for about 3.5 hours! Allow plenty of time, there was heaps of information and quite a few videos (I think 3 well over 15 minutes, one was 65 minutes) so allow plenty of time to go through. Also ask for the kids work sheet so they have something to follow as they go through, a great homeschool day! Well done Port Augusta 🙌

One of the best designed and laid out museums or information centres I have visited. Worth the entry fee, and, if needed, you can return again anytime within 12 months (ask at desk). It really takes a good few hours to get the full experience. Looks at the history of the region through indigenous and non-indigenous eyes.
And there is a cafe ....

Whilst the outback centre had quite good information, the price of $20 each adult is not worth it. Maybe $10 each a fairer price. As an information visitor centre some staff were more helpful than others compared to many I have visited in SA.

Definitely will take the kids again they all got something out of it, 12 year old, 3 year old and 8 month old.
Plan on going back with out the kids as well so we can take everything in with out the distraction kids bring. 😂

Great museum that shares equally pre-European Aboriginal Dreamings (Legends and Histories) in great detail and British explorations and expansion into the Continent's harsh Outback.

Lots of history. The video presentations are great. But a bit lengthy for me. And most of the videos look like were made in the 90’s? Not very clear. The outback cinema would be great with some more ventilation. I can see the effort in making this museum but it felt like a lengthy history class. I liked the aboriginal stories, it helped me to understand their connection to this land better.

Incredible view from a run-down looking little water tower🌆 A must visit location when you’re in Port Augusta and going at sunset time is perfect for those golden hour shots of the town☀️The stairs going up and down might look a little scary to people who are afraid of heights but they seemed perfectly sturdy and held the weight of all of us who went in a group of 8.

Beautiful garden and conservation areas. The landscaping lets you see all layers at once, the grasses, shrubs and trees. The main paths are set as intersecting concentric circles, connected by narrow winding paths.
There is lots of seating, some in shade some in sun.
The central area is well signed. The signs further out are set in a way that I could not get a photo of the plant with it's name.

These gardens have to be amongst the best in Australia. Well thought out exhibits (loved the garden ones) and different habitats to explore. The bird hides, although quiet, are obviously the result of a lot of hard work. Red kangaroos on the surrounding heath land and terrific birds in the garden make this a must visit.

Stopped by here for a quick “pit stop” on the way back from Coober Pedy to Adelaide. It was a beautiful place where our quick pit stop turned into a 2 hour break. The gardens were beautiful and it was great to see that they had sections on how to make low water gardens at home. The park also came along with a great cafe where they sold all native foods and bush Tucker. I recommend trying the native tasting plate and of course the selection of indigenous ice creams such as wattle seed and bush lime. I highly recommend a visit and supporting the gardens as they receive minimal government funding and do an amazing job.
