The tower is situated perfectly for 360-degree, floor-to-ceiling views encompassing Melbourne CBD, sports precinct, Docklands and everything in between. There are also various activities and fascinating facts to keep the entire family entertained.
Best place to get a birds eye view of the city of Melbourne. The sunset from the top is breathtaking. The best time to visit is in the afternoon just before the sunset and the sun is not too bright, the city looks spectacular. The night view also very nice. Tickets are a bit pricey but worth the experience. Highly recommended

This is a great place to see a whole Melbourne city.
We especially enjoyed a virtual visual section on level 1. If you have kids, you should go there. They should love it! 😍

This is a fantastic place to visit if you want a bird’s eye view of the city of Melbourne.
Went with school students on an excursion in 2012, it used to be called Eureka Skydeck.
It costs nearly $30.00 for an adult but there are children and concession prices available.
The school students were very impressed by the building and architecture and found the views breathtaking.
I also enjoyed the views from all different angles. I took several photos but could only find one that I had saved on my devices, so maybe another time on a clear day I will go and take more stunning aerial photos of Melbourne.
On a clear day, it is worthwhile to go for a visit, you will be impressed.
You can also enjoy dining at Eureka 89 if you have time, bear in mind this is a 5 course menu so the price may be a bit steep, but worth it.
The place is accessible by transport.
I went there again recently and really enjoyed the sunset taking many photos and some videos.

Amazing place to visit with friends or family. This is the highest observation deck in the northern hemisphere which is around 300 metres high. You can go up to 88th floor by high speed lift. Sunset experience is just great if you visit in the evening. “Edge” facility is also available here for daring visitors who want to stand in the glass cube 300 meters high from the ground level as this glass cube comes out of the Sky-deck.

Beautiful views of Melbourne, we bought the tickets online for $28 which is cheaper than buying at the spot. We got the basic visit only but they have different plans that include virtual reality, drinks, the edge (which is a piece of the building that moves in and out and let's you look down through a see through floor with a whole sensory experience. Found the views were well worth it, the place was not full so you could calmly have great views and have a nice time.

This is the ideal place to begin a visit to Melbourne. There are 360 degree views of the entire city (as you would expect). The really cool bit is that there are mounted telescopes focused on individual buildings and locations of note with labels. So you can easily get a feel for where places are and whether you’d like to visit or not. The elevators are some of the fastest I’ve been on and it doesn’t feel like you’re hardly moving! You’re whisked to the top and back down in what feels like just a few seconds. There’s a small cafe with snacks at the top and a photo op spot that makes it look like you’re standing up top outside. You exit through the gift shop which offers the standard souvenirs but also a cooler full of ice cream and ice cold bottles of water. Very helpful when it’s hot. Staff are very friendly and helpful. A very fun experience.

The views are incredible.
If you want more of the experience, try the Edge while you're there. I did and it was pretty awesome! But never the less....The views are so beautiful. Love love love

If you enjoy good views, I’d definitely recommend spending the money on this. You get great views over the city of Melbourne. The best time to go up is around sunset, so make sure you stay to see the switch from day to night. I didn’t buy any of the extra tickets you can get (Virtual Reality Experience or pictures and co.) and to be honest, I don’t think I missed out on anything. The Deck itself even has a little outside area, where you can breathe some fresh air from the 88. level. There is also a bar up there, but as you’d expect, it is quite expensive. So if the weather is good, I’d definitely recommend going up.
Frederike — Google review
Love the ambience, worth the money. You can spend some peaceful time as it's not much crowded on weekdays. Can enjoy a small snack and drink from the cafe which is quite reasonably priced.
We spent around 2 hours here. People usually spend no more than 1 hour.

The 88-story Sky Tower is very spectacular and must be experienced once. Although it is very high, the elevator is very fast and can be reached in about 30 seconds. The service staff guided us very kindly. You can overlook the magnificent cityscape of Melbourne. I highly recommend it to everyone.

There is a fantastic view from top, sunny day may cause reflections from the glass to have a good view. So next time I would prefer a cloudy day.
One must have an experience of the moving out deck, great experience of the extended deck is the scary view, sound effects and lighting, they give us 3 photos from the deck. But the charge is extra, not included in skydeck price
Sbnd — Google review
Not a complaint but You can find cheaper tickets online for some reason.
This is one of the must-go list in Melbourne. From up on the Skydeck, you can clearly see all the landmarks in Melbourne. You simply cannot miss this during your trip. The picture will not lie. One advice though, visit during the near sunset hour would be perfect. You can have a pine in the bar until the sunset, would definitely loved the picture and memories!

Well managed, ultra clean and obviously great views. Bought tix online, $10 to return in 36hrs is great offer. All we spoke to were great people working, thank you!

Breathtaking 360 degree view's for miles. The edge experience is probably not worth the extra unless you really are scared of heights I wouldn't bother. We had a fire alarm activate while we were up the which everyone ignored until the staff casually rounded us up and directed us down the stairs. We didn't have to walk all 80+ floors to the ground however, at about 59 we could leave the concrete stairwell and take the lift. The fire alarm was due to some toast burning apparently. A refund was offered.

Unforgettable experience.. You get to see all Melbourne.. Breathe taking seen and a very friendly staff which makes it a better experience.. A very recommended thing to do is the EDGE I really like it.. A very different experience that you can't experience elsewhere.. Go with your friends, family... A highly recommended place for kids and students groups.

Personally I think its a bit overpriced at $30 per person for just a view. It is a nice view and the drinks at the bar are pricey yet delicious. The binoculars are surprisingly powerful and can see quite far distances, which was good fun.
Priscilla Jacob — Google review
The view up top is simply amazing and breathtaking both during the day and at night. It is not something that you can see unless you ride a helicopter. However, the charm of this place only lasts for a few moments. You will easily get bored of the place and there is not much activity to do after. Good thing, the National Gallery of Victoria is nearby so you can move there as your next destination.
Overall, this place is nice for a first time visit. After your first time, you will not be enamored by this place as the first time you saw it. Also, prepare money for this place is not free.

An absolute must experience. Book your ticket ahead (1) cheaper & (2) faster admittance.
The elevator is fast and you hardly know it is moving, but you are there in the blink of an eye.
Wonderful view 🚾

Exhilarating experience! The layout is such that you have 360 degree panoramic views. There are fixed binoculars around the place that point to famous landmarks.
Before you go up there are little information boards :)
My favourite was the outdoor area, you could really feel the force of the wind.
We also did the edge experience, which was cool but very loud. If you get in there with a bunch of kids, prepare to go def. They also play really loud sounds over the speakers (slightly louder than the cinema).
Awesome views! Recommend to go sunset or during a storm :)

Popular tourist attraction. Can be busy towards sunset.
Certainly worth doing, if only to give you a good spective of Melbourne's layout.
The glass floor attraction is a bit overrated IMO.

Visited there on Friday evening. View was awesome from top, and building management was good and helpful.
But to be honest, for every single thing you have to pay extra money. And even just to go on top we have paid 30$ per person which was too much money for this experience.
In my opinion, it's not the value of money experience.

Great way to see Melbourne, however be mindful that weather here can change by the time you make it up the elevator. Sadly the lighting and window tint makes it really hard to get good photos, expect to see your hands and phone reflected.
The Edge experience, skip it, it's over a 30 min wait to be there 5 minutes, it's not well maintained and the glass is stained.
It's a good starter to see Melbourne, just skip all the add ons. Book online to get a cheaper price, there is no need to schedule.
The Shrine of Remembrance commemorates all Australians who have served in wars, as well as those who have lost their lives. The complex has a viewing platform at the top where you can enjoy views of the cityscape. There is also a museum detailing Australias role in the World Wars, which is free to enter.
I've been to the park area and "seen" the Shrine many times living in Melbourne for over 40 years, though this was the first time visiting it properly.
The gallery/museum area has a large range of information and displays from all eras of conflict and peacekeeping with Australians, and there's a central crypt and also access to the balcony with another perspective of the area and surrounds.
The trees around the park each have dedication plaques to the numerous battalions, and a special place for a tree grown from the seed of the Gallipoli Lone Pine.
For those of us lucky enough to be oblivious to war or even conflict, this is definitely a respectful and informative memorial to those that have served and sacrificed everything for our freedom.

Any tourist visiting Melbourne, whether international or domestic, will have a memorable experience. A beautiful view over this part of Melbourne is available from the roof of the Shrine, which is free to enter.

Majestic, magnificent, The Shrine of Remembrance is not just a building; it's a profound symbol of reverence, an embodiment of history, and a testament to the indomitable human spirit. As a visitor, I was left awestruck by the sheer magnitude of emotions and respect that this monumental structure evokes.
From the moment I stepped onto the beautifully landscaped grounds, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of solemnity and reflection. The surrounding gardens, meticulously maintained, provide a peaceful setting to contemplate the sacrifices made by countless men and women who served their country. The view of the Melbourne city skyline from the forecourt is breathtaking and serves as a poignant reminder of the contrast between the peaceful present and the turbulent past.
The Shrine itself is a masterpiece of architecture. Its classical design, inspired by ancient Greek and Egyptian styles, exudes grandeur and timelessness. The bronze doors, adorned with poignant quotes and emblems, set the tone for what lies inside. The interior is equally impressive, with its stunning marble floors, towering columns, and the iconic Eternal Flame that never falters, symbolizing eternal remembrance for the fallen.
What makes the Shrine truly exceptional is its educational aspect. The Galleries of Remembrance are a treasure trove of knowledge, meticulously curated to provide a comprehensive understanding of Australia's military history. Interactive exhibits, artifacts, and multimedia displays bring the stories of veterans and their sacrifices to life. It's a place where one can truly connect with the past and gain a deeper appreciation for the freedoms we enjoy today.
The staff at the Shrine are dedicated and knowledgeable, always ready to assist visitors and answer questions. Their passion for preserving the memory of those who served is evident, and they play a crucial role in making the experience meaningful.
I highly recommend taking one of the guided tours offered here. The guides are well-versed in history and offer profound insights into the significance of this place. Hearing personal stories of bravery and sacrifice from the guides added a deeply human touch to my visit.
Visiting the Shrine of Remembrance is not just a tourist activity; it's a moral obligation, a chance to pay homage to the heroes who gave their all for our freedom. Whether you're a history buff or simply looking for a place of reflection, this monument will leave an indelible mark on your soul. It's a place where gratitude, respect, and reverence converge, reminding us of the importance of never forgetting the sacrifices made for our Australia.
In conclusion, the Shrine of Remembrance is a solemn and awe-inspiring tribute to the brave souls who served their country. It stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of remembrance and gratitude. If you have the opportunity, do visit this hallowed ground; it's an experience that will leave you forever changed.
Also, the Now Or Never show was simply astounding!

Beautiful monument dedicated to remembering Australian fallen heroes in war. Night view was impressive due to quietness and no crowds. The constant fire is also solemn. There is a visitor centre to learn more. Great location that is easibly accessible by public transportation next to city centre.

Yes, this is a must see if you are visiting Melbourne, or perhaps you live in Melbourne and not had the chance to visit. A truly iconic place to remember war heroes and also one of the top places for photographers.
Take great photos, videos, panoramas. Walk right up the steps to take great scenery pictures of the CBD.
This place is simple to reach, if you are within tram access, take the tram down St. Kilda road and stop at the Shrine of Remembrance tram stop. I would heartily recommend a visit to this wonderful place.

Always love to visit the Shrine when I'm in the city. Such a beautiful spot to take ok the vista. Well worth attending one of the talks inside and watching the sun pass over the dial. Awesome feat of architecture and a great place to take it all in. The view from the top is well worth it.

This is a sobering building documenting Victoria's participation in the numerous conflicts around the world, and serves as a reminder of the horrors of war. A place deserving of respect and built to reflect this, it was quite an unforgettable experience as you venture through the galleries, gradually making your way up to the balcony.
If you're a history buff, this is a must visit place, though it may not be entirely suitable for children. There's also a balcony at the top offering a scenic view of the city and the gardens nearby. Entrance to the place is free, but visitors are free to make a donation as they deem suitable.

This place is really cool. I enjoyed the rich history of the museum and the great view from the top. Most of all, it’s free!
I would encourage visitors to enter and look around. Australia’s involvement in the past wars is detailed extensively by the museum. They honor them in this shrine for their contributions. (The crypt area gave me the shivers.)

Here’s a timeline to help you plan a dawn service visit next year.
Arrived for the dawn service around 5am and there was already so many people there. Roads were closed. There were two big screens playing from before we arrived providing everyone at the top a view regardless of their vantage point but there seemed so many more people down the sides of the hill too which may have been limited viewing. The Welcome to Country was at 5:30 but the main service was 6. All over by 6:30. They opened the Shrine shortly after and ushered thousands of people through so quickly. We waited to last and was still through by 7:20. We then explored the extensive museum, crypt and surrounds. The museum is next level with knowledgeable passionate people sharing information dotted around the place. It had only very dim lighting and felt like a maze. You would spend hours in here if you wanted to read through and experience everything but we left before 9 for the parade. Note a RAAF plane flyover was at 11 and I also heard they were opening the balcony at 1pm.

Actually, I enjoyed the place more than I had expected. During my studies in Architecture, I worked on a project that involved designing a memorial museum. The main objective of the project was to create a space that would seamlessly connect the past, present, and the hope for the future, which is exactly what I found inside.
On another note, the entire area is huge, green and pretty. The rooftop area offers a splendid view of the downtown and occasionally you can catch a glimpse of an airplane flying by!

It was a serene experience relieving the history of Victorians. Visited on a Sunday morning. The place was quite empty and we also witnessed a military ceremony to pay homage to the fallen in war.
About how to reach: Tram services are available right in front of the place and Botanical Garden is just a walk away.

The Shrine of Remembrance is a truly awe-inspiring place. It is a war memorial that commemorates the sacrifices of all Australians who have served in wars and conflicts. The Shrine is located on a hilltop overlooking Melbourne, and it offers stunning views of the city.
The Shrine is a beautiful building, made of white marble and granite. It is adorned with sculptures, mosaics, and stained glass windows. The interior of the Shrine is equally impressive, with a large Hall of Remembrance, a Sanctuary, and a crypt.
The Hall of Remembrance is the heart of the Shrine. It is a vast space with a high ceiling and stained glass windows that depict scenes from Australian history. The Sanctuary is a smaller space that is used for quiet reflection and prayer. The crypt is home to the Eternal Flame, which burns in memory of all Australians who have died in wars and conflicts.
The Shrine of Remembrance is a place of great significance for Australians. It is a place to remember those who have served their country, and to honor their sacrifices. It is also a place to learn about Australian history and to reflect on the importance of peace.

I have been to the shrine itself a couple of times as I like to walk around the area but I’ve never been inside.
It was such an amazing and interesting experience to learn about the history of war of Australia. Exploring the shrine is free and there’s audio and video checkpoints that will tell you about the history starting in the 19th century until today. There are quite a few stairs going up to the top of building but you’ll be rewarded with a nice view of Melbourne.
The staff was very friendly and super helpful!

Awesome place (in the true sense of the word) which we couldn't do justice to when we visited. I could easily spend a day in there reading how the Australians selflessly pitched in to help the UK and other allies right at the start of two world wars rather than hanging back as others did. Very moving accounts of sacrifice and heroism and fascinating historical context. I hope you realise how much you were/are appreciated.

Melbourne Zoo is a family-friendly attraction located in the city centre of Melbourne, Australia. The zoo has animals from all around the world and remains one of the city's most popular attractions. It is also one of the world's first carbon-neutral zoos.
Best zoo I've ever been to and I've been to zoos from all across Europe and the wider world. I went on valentine's Day with my partner.
This zoo has a massive variety of animals and the enclosures are large and well maintained. We were in the zoo for 4.5 hours and only saw half the animals - luckily we purchased memberships and will be visiting again next week to see the rest.
The keepers are friendly and knowledgeable and always happy to answer questions. For us, the butterfly house was the highlight and was truly breathtaking.
Cannot recommend highly enough, especially if you really care about the welfare of animals and love being able to see a large variety.

We can reach the zoo just by tram, not so far from city center.
Just enjoy the whole are by walk, we can see so many animals.

Fantastic day at the zoo. Place has really improved from when i was a kid.
Young fella loved it.
Heaps of shady areas to put down a rug and have a picnic.
Food and drink is also available. We ordered the hamper for 2, must be done at lease 3 days prior to your visit to the zoo. Heaps of places to get an ice cream as well.

Such a beautiful place.
Good to take the kids... the animals all seem happy and healthy.
Their enclosures are well kept and I love the diversity (reptiles, sea life, land animals).
There is so much to see and do here.
You can become a member, which gives you access to other zoos as well, which is really handy or you can get general admission which isn't expensive.

Our family always have a great time at the zoo but more so from the atmosphere being in proximity to lots of different animals than the location itself here. We usually spend 4-5 hours on a Saturday at any given visit. There are always many animals not in sight, mostly sleeping or very far away so it can be disappointing if kids have been excited to see them. I'm not sure how much it can be helped though as you also don't want to disrupt how the animals naturally behave.
The food options need improvement. Various outlets around the zoo which is great but small servings vs high prices. We prefer to pack our own food for this reason but it can be tiresome lugging food around all day for a whole family.
Positives are the great open spaces for kids to run around, the carousel area is especially fun and recently we were able to enjoy our lunch break in one of the domes which was something different and exciting. The themed events that are run usually in Summer are also a fun experience for the family.

Strikes a very good balance between conservation and entertainment.
The zoo is within walking distance of the CBD, and it's an enjoyable walk through the suburbs. It's also well served via the tram network. Very friendly staff and well laid out with a tremendous amount to see. It's a great day out for old and young, with plenty of toilets and places to eat and drink. I visited out of season and on a weekday (Monday, July), so it was busy, but far from crowded).
Modern zoos have a difficult tightrope to balance between entertainment and conservation and Melbourne's Zoo does this well. It's great to see animals being well cared for and mostly happy in their confinement, including a couple of baby elephants. The large aviaries are excellent to walk through, yet no so spacious that you end up having to play hunt-the-animal in the enclosures. No zoo will ever be perfect, but this one must be high up on the list of good ones, and ones doing their best to make a difference in terms of education and values in conservation.
The butterfly house is a must visit - tranquil, fragile beauty abounds.

Great experience, kids loved it. Everything comes off a main street so it's easy to navigate. Mornings are better so the cats are slightly more active. There is a clever orangutan who sits with a blanket on him. Cafes are decent.

Fantastic zoo! Went here on a Tuesday and there was a fair bit of a crowd, but there was no wait to enter at all. Bought tickets on-site, staff were friendly and welcoming. Large variety of animals that look well cared for. Only issue was that some animals were moved to different enclosures, so we could not see them. However, we had to amazing opportunity to see the wombat while it was awake, so that made up for everything. Food at the cafes were filling and tasted great, would recommend for families and animal enthusiasts to come here 👍

This zoo is great. There's so many animals you probably won't see them all in one day. Most areas have a covered section so a bit of rain shouldn't stop you. I would encourage you to bring your own food though as the cafes are quite inconsistent in their operating hours plus they're mostly not located around places where you have animal views. Check out the free keeper talk times on their website before your visit for added value. Parents room are decent. Locker storage available - need credit card, between $5-$10 for the first 4 hours depending on size. Wheelchairs can be booked for free, need 48 hours notice. Parking is $2 for 5 hours, so it works out cheaper than public transport for most.

Melbourne Zoo offers a captivating experience for visitors of all ages. From majestic elephants to playful meerkats, the diverse range of animals creates a thrilling atmosphere. The zoo's commitment to conservation and education is evident through informative exhibits and engaging keeper talks. Visitors can wander through lush habitats, immersing themselves in the natural world while learning about global conservation efforts. The zoo's efforts in animal welfare and sustainability are commendable, making it not just a place for entertainment but also a hub for learning and conservation awareness. Overall, Melbourne Zoo provides a memorable and enriching experience for animal lovers and families alike.

Lots of restrooms and shady eating areas.

The whole day was fantastic, we had so much fun. Ventured into the park with 7 year old and 4 year old. We hadn’t seen all the animals and exhibits before the 4 year old was exhausted but it was so worth it.
Would go again for sure anyway.
Staff were fantastic
Parking being locked in for 5hours kind of sucked but that’s the councils fault.

It's always a fun day out.
Staff are happy to chat to the children about the animals.
It's clean and animals are in great sized enclosures.

At first, I thought AU$46 (adult) was a little bit pricy, but it was so worth it. I had a great time here to watch various animals and was very glad to see their good living environment compared to other zoos. They had 'Koala talk' at 11AM, and I was happy to be there.

Visited Melbourne Zoo from 11 am to 4 pm. Affordable parking at $2 for 5 hours. Explored the park twice, taking about 2.5 hours each round—perfect for a 10k step day! Loved baboons, elephants, and seals, though lions were napping. Friendly staff readily available for assistance. Ample parking, but bring your own food for dietary needs due to a small cafe with limited options during off-peak hours. Despite that, it's a fantastic tourist attraction. Solo visit, but planning to return with family. Thank you, Melbourne Zoo, for a delightful day! Highly recommended for a memorable outing with a good mix of wildlife and friendly atmosphere.

Visited Melbourne Zoo with my family today and had an incredible experience! The fact that entrance fees for kids are waived on weekends is a fantastic perk. The diverse range of animals and well-maintained exhibits made it both educational and enjoyable for everyone. The staff's passion for conservation shines through, and the interactive activities added an extra layer of fun. A perfect family outing surrounded by the beauty of wildlife. Highly recommend!

Our recent visit to Melbourne Zoo was an unforgettable experience. The zoo is exceptionally well-organized, making it easy to navigate through the diverse exhibits. From the playful meerkats to the majestic giant tortoises, the variety of animals is impressive. The aviaries are a paradise for bird lovers, showcasing a colorful array of species, while the butterfly house is a serene escape, fluttering with beauty.
The big cats, including lions and tigers, exude a regal presence, and the gorillas remind us of our connection to nature. Australian natives like kangaroos are always a delight, and the elephants never fail to amaze their gentle giants. The reptile section offers a glimpse into a different world, and the sea world section is a dive into the aquatic wonders.
A special mention must go to the Dino World section – it’s a roaring success, providing an immersive dinosaur experience that’s both educational and entertaining. It’s a hit with the kids and adults alike!
I highly recommend arriving at opening time and booking tickets in advance to make the most of your visit. With ample parking and reasonable prices, Melbourne Zoo offers great value. It’s a fantastic outing for families, truly a treasure trove for children’s curiosity and fun.
I hope this review captures the essence of your visit! 🦁🦋🦕

On Thursday April 4th my friend Corinne & I visited the zoo. We were there for a good 4 1/2 hours. The day was splendid, so many families and children as well as tourists & just people enjoying themselves. The staff are all so informative & friendly, they all do a tremendous job looking after the animals as well as the general upkeep of the zoo. I have an annual pass & look forward to coming back during the year to explore more & experience the zoo in different seasons. We took public transport as parking can sometimes be a nightmare from what I’ve been told unless you come early to get a parking spot. We are also interested in staying overnight for one of their overnight events. I highly recommend people visit. 🐯 🐵 🐸🐧 🦋

My sister and I attended Roar and Snore with Cathy and Ariel Thursday night , it honestly was the most magical experience ever .
They were so engaging and extremely knowledgeable with all the beautiful animals.
We had a night walk and we saw the lions up and about. Then the next morning we went into the elephant enclosure and placed treats in there from them to find.
We met the keepers and they were a wealth of knowledge it was just so special.
Thank you so much Cathy and Ariel you ladies are honestly the best ,

Having visited zoo in Europe, I am not particularly impressed. For the price of ticket paid, we finished the zoo tour in 3 hours. But I liked snow leopard and seal attraction. Very very few birds and aquatic life, very few rain forest animals, etc. I would not visit again unless there is a big upgrade!
The Melbourne Cricket Ground, often referred to simply as the 'G', is one of the world's great sporting venues and home of Australian football and the National Sports Museum. It also serves as a music venue and more. The ground holds 100,000 people and hosts cricket in summer and AFL (Australian rules football) footy in winter.
A magnificent cricket ground! Great atmosphere and facilities. Can easily be accessible by Tram, Train or Car. Lots of parking available during games. Security and tickets validation seamless and efficient. The toilets were clean. Food is available on site. A must visit in Melbourne, specially if you are a Cricket fan.

Tour really worth doing, and the tour guide ( volunteer) Travis, was both knowledgeable and enjoyable. We booked on line and there was a cricket match being played when we attended. Because of the match, we couldn't go to the players room but did everything else. I don't like cricket, but I thoroughly enjoyed the history of the ground. All of the guides and staff were fabulous and a credit to MCG

Came here to watch the Manchester United Tour games. Very fun experience and huge stadium, not a fan of how far you are from the pitch and that Level 1 seating is quite flat which means anyone standing up will block the view of those behind. Would recommend booking on Level 2.
Easily accessible via public transport, best to take the Metro after games as the tram come infrequently and it’s always packed.

Great stadium for watching AFL football. Only disappointment is the extreme wait when purchasing a beverage or food (up to 25 minutes wait for a drink). Serving crowds in a timely manner should get easier after a century of events hosting over 100,000 people.

The official tour of the MCG was really interesting with lots of facts and anecdotes included by the friendly and knowledgeable guide. I was last at the ground in 1996 and it has now been completely transformed, yet still retains its sense of history and tradition. Definitely worth a visit for any cricket and/or Australian rules football fans; plus the walking options from the city centre include strolling through beautiful parks or along the Yarra riverbank.

I’m American and have only seen two cricket games and yet I still loved the tour. Peter, our guide, did a great job.
The tour lasted 75-mins. It moves quickly so you see everything. There is time to take pictures and our guide took some for everyone as well in certain spots if you wanted them for your group .
You need to be comfortable walking quite a bit and walking quickly. Our group was a reasonable size.
There are lifts and I’m sure they offer special tours for those less ambulatory.

Amazing stadium, but you already know that. View from any seat in the house is amazing and unobstructed. Great food options on site with all the stadium favourites. To avoid fighting for a park take the option to park more central in the city and enjoy the walk down the river and over the bridge that leads you right up to the stadium. If you have not been then book some tickets it is an experience of a lifetime!

The MCG and its accompanying museum certainly have a great rich history about them. There's much to see and do, and without being bias, I have to admit I had a good time, despite being a musician by nature and not the sporting type.
It's a great place to bring kids and even seasoned sports fans will learn something about the processes and preparations that take place prior to each game. Believe it or not, mowing the lawn isn't the only job needed.😂

Attending a footy match at the MCG was an absolutely unforgettable experience! The atmosphere of the stadium is truly electric, making every moment of the game feel thrilling and intense. I highly recommend getting a seat close to the ground to truly feel the excitement and energy of the match. There is ample parking available both around and inside the MCG, which made getting there a breeze.
Inside the stadium, there are several food options ranging from snacks to full meals, as well as drinks and coffee to keep you refreshed throughout the game. The match typically lasts around 3 hours, so be sure to grab something warm and a jacket if needed. Additionally, there are convenient toilets located inside the MCG for your convenience. What a historic tour I had, headed straight from the airport and was able to keep my luggage in the locker space they had. Absolutely no issues.
Ian was our guide and he was the most exciting person I have ever seen. He had so much energy, excitement, enthusiasm, and passion about cricket and all the historical events he shared with us was something special and most of us didn’t know.

I have been a big Taylor fan for many years; however, I was actively considering not attending the Eras tour in fear of getting in and out of the event with 96,000 people plus everyone on the outside listening in.
However, I was equally shocked and impressed by:

✅How well organised it was.
✅How friendly the staff were.
✅How well the facilities handed the capacity.

The MCG is the home ground for my football team and I am so glad it is because it’s the perfect setting for a good game of football. With accessibility to all levels, beautiful views of the field, and multiple places to eat it’s one of my favourite sporting locations.
If you head along on a day where sport isn’t being played you can see the sports museum which has a vast history of Australian and international sports on display. Perfect for families and friends alike for a day trip and ideal for any sports fan on a visit to the G. Staff are friendly and helpful, facilities are well maintained and cared for, and the atmosphere on the biggest sporting days is electric. Give the MCG a visit on your next trip into Richmond.

There are many areas to rest and with shade, so even on a hot day one could take a break to get out of the sun. There’s a water area and kids would love this especially on a hot day. Great outdoor place for even winter
We went here in a rainy winter day but it was still very enjoyable. The facilities are great and there’s a cafe as well. The garden is huge with very great architectures, some of which were inviting for kids. We had a great walk (half a day) around and caught some animals (wallabies, bandicoots) alongside with birds chirping. Great urban escape for even winter!
There were many parking spots but there was also road works on the way to the entrance. Luckily, there were signs pointing to the garden. 😊

Botanic Gardens are always a safe bet for a great day out walking, resting, or even just a few hours out and about.
The scenery is beautiful, and some of the plants and garden beds are just gorgeous specimens, and there is always a good photo to be taken.
The eatery situated at the back of the park is being renovated at the current time, but don't worry, there is one as you enter the venue.
As it heats up, you do need to keep in mind, there can be snakes about, and there were a few signs up on sightings, but if you stay on the path, you should be fine.

What a great day we had! We live 15 min drive from here and this was the first time we took a day to visit the gardens. We decided to take the bus tour and Sue was an amazing guide and so afterwards we walked all the way h[we had visited while on the bus, we took over 200 pictures and videos altogether. I’m so in love with the amazing flora we have in this amazing country and the landscape is wonderfully done. After we went through all the gardens I walked along the water flowing feature which was lovely and then we decided to give the trails a go we did! 2 hours walking through Amazon bush and sightseeing the water lakes.
Our day started at about midday and ended at 5:08 when the gardens were closed to the public. 12 kilometres walk and 20K steps, next time will be more! As our day was pretty hot.
We saw a few wallabies in our trail walk and lots of dragonflies and lively butterflies as well, we also loved seeing bees having a feast at the bushes.
A must see and visit fully!
Bought lovely insect repellent from the gift shop which smells like a natural perfume.

Where to start about this stunning garden!!!
I had never been before but wanted to visit a garden that wasn’t in inner Melbourne. And boy this did not disappoint!! From parking, the information centre, the cafe, the shop, the actual gardens themselves, just WOW! Oh and the fact that this is FREE is beyond amazing! I would be more than happy to pay up to $20/$30 to spend a morning or afternoon here. There is so much to see here and so many gorgeous places to sit and take everything in. The amount of work that goes into landscaping and designing something like this is mind blowing. Everything is so thoughtfully done. This is definitely worth going to visit through the seasons, just to see the differences.
And absolutely must see!

The Puffing Billy Railway is a preserved steam railway that travels through the scenic Dandenong Ranges. The train features first-class dining carriages, and offers tourists a unique experience of travel through the rainforest.
One of the landmarks of Melbourne and a must visit if you have a few extra days in hand. It's an all time favourite of kids and every single one of them enjoys it thoroughly. From fresh air to open window carriages, extremely friendly staff to the scenic route - everything makes it a truly memorable experience! Have been here twice now and have enjoyed it every single time.
Tickets usually sell out over weekend so book ahead of time online and take the return ticket from Belgrave to Lakeside and spend at least 3-4 hrs at Lakeside exploring the tracks, food, boating (if open) , food and definitely the model train house - one of the most unique experiences! Highly recommend doing that!
You wouldn't regret the experience!

Enjoyable experience. This is a must go if you are at Victoria. The view is nice from the train but it is the experience of being in a steam train that defeats all scenery you can see. The smell of steam and the sound of the whistle. Makes you think that you’ve travelled back in time but you still have your cameras to capture moments.
My first time on a steam train and I’ve enjoyed myself. It’s even more amazing that they’ve got passionate volunteers as well.

Food was delicious with variety of options at Lakeside train station.
Always bring a jacket, picnic snacks and Sunglasses are essential for the sun and to protect your eyes from tiny coal particles that occasionally are in the air from the steam.

get seats early though, as it gets very packed in despite having an assigned carriage and on the way back, my partner had to stand.

We had such a great time on the Puffing Billy!!! It is well maintained and it's good for both families and couples/friends! Truly an amazing experience. Went Puffing Billy for the first time Unique experience, totally worth it. We boarded from Belgrave and went up to Lakeside View. Very friendly driver and staff ❤️
Highly recommend for all !!!!

The train coordinators were super accommodating with our little baby. She loved going on the train (made her fall seep). The scenery was gorgeous! The lakeside stop is a must the Cafe there is really good and has paddle boats if it's your thing. A nice experience!

A great experience suitable for all ages. Visitor centre at lakeside is modern and clean, with a very efficient restaurant that serves delicious scones. There’s also a small museum that displays the 3A Locomotive. Parking can be tricky as there aren’t a lot of car parks near the Puffing Billy train station. Volunteers and staff were super friendly and heaps of beautiful scenery along the way. Definitely worth hanging your legs out for the ride.

One of my favorite spot here in Australia when I visited. This train is very cool and you can hang your feet outside. We bought the tickets online and get the actual ticket at the window of booking office when we arrived. Be there early so you can avoid the waiting in the line.

Great experience! From booking to going onboard. The part which needs to highlight is the legs hanging out of train and having a swing when the train is moving . All children enjoyed including my dad who is 80 plus. Lastly is the scenery including a part crossing the old wooden bridge . Lastly , at lakeside a visit to the museum.

Besides a mix up with a ticket we bought separate (apparently you can chose that you're going with others and then be put on the same carriage, which we didn't do) but with some help from the friendly conductors on the train we were able to work around this. The day was great, kids and us adults all had an amazing day. Do rug up, we went last weekend so it was very fresh. We went to lakeside where there is a restaurant with average food.. Next time we will plan better and take a picnic to eat at the lake. I do think a little more time between the trains would be nice but we had enough time to eat and go for a short stroll before boarding to return back to Belgrave.

Book the tickets like a week ago ‼️‼️
Tickets are usually sold out and we were just so lucky to get tickets at last minute. It was such a nice experience, it was 1 hr ride to reach to the lake. Beautiful journey, friendly people waving us on the way. The staffs were so nice. It did give me Hogwarts vibe 😉. To my surprise, the train runs along the residential area, there are houses and roads in between.
Would recommend if you are in Melbourne.

Amazing train riding experience that u hang the legs out and enjoy the ride. Love those moments that you wave to the pedestrians / drivers, bystanders and vice versa. Nice picnic area in the Lakeside station.
It is a MUST do experience when you come to Victoria

Belgrave to Lakeside ride - Great place to visit. Kids friendly. Cafes at the start and end of journey. Few walking trails when you reach Lakeside, but won’t have time to finish because the return journey interval is in 90mins. Reach there early as parking spots near the train station are a bit hard to find. Scenic ride. Helpful and passionate staff. Highly recommend.

The staffs were amazing! Their passionate smile and waving really warm my heart in this rainy, cold winter day. The magical ambience of the misty forest also makes the journey wonderful. I would say this is one of the must-visit place when coming to Melbourne.

We had lovely experience today on the Puffing Billy steam railway train. Thank you to Arthur, who just by luck after we entered Metro Hobbies, 257 Burke St, Melbourne. A lovely young guy, we were talking, too, helped us out with ordering tickets online in advance, so we were not going to be disappointed at the opening gates Puffing Billy. Not getting a ticket. He showed us exactly how to order our tickets. He told us he volunteers for Puffing Billy. He also told us his mum worked at Puffing Billy. And coincidence she served us out of the 3 lines that were open we got her counter. When i first got to the counter i said you must have worked here many years, as she had a lot of Puffing Billy Bages on that's when she told us she had been working for them a long time. She told us her screen showed her sons name was down as serving us get the tickers at Metro Hobbies, and she told us, that, that was her son. Ohh wow. Yes, he was really lovely. You have a lovely son. She was happy 😊 she thanked us for coming and to have a wonderful day. Thank you Marge it was lovely to meet your son, Arthur, and you. Keep up the great work. Puffing Billy, they are both acredit to you. Spoke that they loved your place. Please reward them both for great customer service. We will always remember this day and the two of them for making our day, one to remember 🚂 your staff were very nice to talk to. We were very early, which was good. We got to take pics of an earlier train leaving the station. We also met some new friends too a couple with 2 children on the way there, and Eddie and Tiffany on the way back 🙂

Had an amazing experience at Puffing Billy train today. Amazing scenic train ride and very friendly staff members. Definitely worth buying tickets in advance as this is a tourist hot spot and can get busy very quickly. Also recommend to go on the earliest train possible so your cart isn't over crowded. Also recommend you to sit on the left side /terminal facing side of the carriage in order to enjoy the views. We were lucky to get a good spot as some other passengers got the boring views by sitting on the left side of the carriage. Overall excellent experience.

Amazing outing for all the ages with a steaming experience through the beautiful ranges & the nature. Would certainly recommend the train ride from Belgrave to Lakeside where you are allowed to sit on the window sill and enjoy the picturesque journey. At Lakeside, you can take a nice stroll among the trees, shelters are available for resting and paddle boats for hire by the lake though subject to weather conditions. Lots of moments to capture by the colourful trees and on the wooden bridge by the Lakeside.

Very cool vintage railway that was restored by a school to teach students about tourism.
Great open air ride. Stops along the way, one has a very large restaurant with great food. This stop also has a park with a pond with ducks and a couple swans.
We highly recommend the trip.

Puffing Billy is a family favourite. A beautiful old steam train that whistles its way through the hills. Beautiful scenery, gorgeous bridge and friendly locals waving as you pass by. Children 5 and up are able to dangle their legs out the windows. This is an activity everyone of all ages will enjoy. However, there are a few changes that have occurred over the last few years to be aware of!
1. You must book online it’s so busy now that booking well in advance is necessary.
2. Children 16 and above are considered adults
3. The best place to park is at the nearby train station but signage to puffing Billy from there and back is very poor! Use Google.
4. You are advised to arrive an hour early. This is due to the queues.
5. You will be assigned a carriage. 4 bums per seat.
6. Lakeside is a brilliant place to stop. There are cafes, bathrooms, a swimming pool, playground, paddle boats and fantastic picnic spots. As kids we would come for the day and return later in the afternoon. Sadly this is no longer an option. You barely have time for the bathroom once you get off the train and line up for lunch you are required to reboard the train and head back to Belgrave. The new rule allowing 1.5hour is no where near enough time to spend anytime at lakeside with a family. I was so disappointed that there was not an option to select a later return time. I felt rushed and frustrated. We then sat at Menzies Creek for nearly 30 minutes due to a late train and as a result were rushed off the train in Belgrave.
I think this is a wonderful service and a great family activity but timetables need to be upheld despite late arrivals and later departure options need to be allowed to enable families to enjoy a day out together.

Puffing Billy Railway is an absolute ripper of a place to visit! It's a historic steam train that chugs its way through the stunning Dandenong Ranges in Victoria, Australia. The train ride is a real treat, taking you on a scenic journey through lush forests, over bridges, and even through some charming little towns. It's like stepping back in time!
The best part is, you can hop on and off at different stations along the way, so you can explore the surrounding areas and take in the beautiful scenery. The train itself is a beauty, with its old-fashioned carriages and that iconic puffing sound. It's a real hit with both kids and adults!
If you're a fan of trains or just want to experience something unique, Puffing Billy Railway is a must-visit. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is top-notch, and it's a great way to spend a day with family or friends. So grab your ticket, hop on board, and get ready for a jolly good time on Puffing Billy! 🚂😄

So much fun! Awesome experience. I would recommend it to anyone. It's best to get your tickets ahead of time. Look online and pick out a date because they are sold out pretty quickly. I recommend wearing shoes. Bring a light jacket, depending on the weather. Try and get there early so you can get a good parking and seat inside the train cart.

Finally got to go on the reopened Puffing Billy Railway, after many attempts at getting tickets! You do need to book months in advance to avoid disappointment (minimum three months). The tickets are limited number and you absolutely, totally, CANNOT get it on the day.
Booking/purchasing in advance is a must.
I went with a friend and we went on the longer journey, up to Gembrook, which is a five-hour return (2.5 one way), great for day trip.
You can stick you feet out for part of the train ride, at the halfway mark (at Lakeside stop), you need to be completely within the carriage (or they take the permit away from the operators, which is wholly run by volunteers).
Take food and drink with you, and maybe a picnic rug, if you're doing the five hour day trip, there is a small park at Gembrook you can have your lunch at, or visit the other restaurants on offer in the town.
The most unfortunate thing during my visit was we were delayed for two hours at Lakeside, where the Visitor Centre is located, and we were not really informed why the delay. We didn't get back to Belgrave until close to 1800.
The views from the train speaks for themselves. I do recommend this trip to anyone, well worth it.

My family loved the experience! We chose the Belgrave-Lakeside return trip. The weather was perfect so we got the most out of the experience. I loved that we were able to ride with our legs out the side of the train! It was so much fun, even for the adults. We had lunch at the cafe at Lakeside which was decent. They had a lovely exhibition too. Highly recommend!

It was a fun experience to ride on a steam train! Highly recommended to buy your ticket online in advance because seats are limited.
The journey starts from Belgrave station to Lakeside station and at Lakeside station, you’ll be given 1 hour to explore around the lake and have your lunch before the train departs back to Belgrave station.
We brought our picnic food since there were many tables available around the lake. But there’s also a lakeside cafe available in the visitor centre.
To enhance your experience, try to get seats on the right side when heading to Lakeside station or left side when returning to Belgrave station as the view is more eye catching on these sides.

The ride to the lake was an amazing experience. I bought my ticket 2 months before my visit through GetYourGuide but unfortunately the ride was canceled. Then I booked my ticket directly from this official website and was lucky enough to get 5 tickets just before a week ☺️. My in-laws enjoyed the ride. People on the roads were waiting for the train to pass and they were waving us 😀 . Such a wonderful day it was . If you are visiting Melbourne, you must really need to go for this .
Dandenong Ranges, located in the Yarra Valley, is a picturesque mountain range offering a mix of natural beauty and cultural experiences. Green paradise. Not many people.
Quiet tracks, waterfalls, full of nature’s abundance -Lya birds, Echidnas, Wallaby’s, Yabbies, Christmas Beetles, many species of butterflies and dragonflies - all spotted over two hikes. Healesville Sanctuary is a renowned Australian wildlife refuge that provides both indoor and outdoor playgrounds, as well as cafes and shops. This iconic Victorian destination allows visitors to experience Australian animals such as dingoes, emus, wombats, koalas, kangaroos, platypuses and more in their natural habitat. Guests can enjoy feeding parrots and watching the Spirits of the Sky bird show while learning interesting facts about these fascinating creatures from knowledgeable zookeepers.
I have visited this sanctuary multiple times and loved it every time. It has a good variety of animals with a nice setup to show them in their habitats. If you’re there in time for shows, shows are both informative and interesting. Staff are very friendly and helpful. It’s great to know that this place helps animals and puts them back to the wild. Another great thing about this place is that it’s open on public holidays, even on Good Friday and Christmas day. Also kids can visit the place for free on weekends.

Absolutely worth the drive from Melbourne! Even the drive itself is really lovely... But the Sanctuary is just great! You really feel like you're in the middle of the bush with the animals joining you. The animals are in nice large enclosures and seem to have good space, the trees tower overhead and the local river is just an extra nice feature. One of the definite highlights is the Spirits of the Sky bird show... Awesome information and skills from the keepers, with incredible natural behaviour on show from the birds... Who definitely own the decisions to participate or not. Kids and adults alike area just mesmerised. Thanks for another amazing visit Healesville Sanctuary! 😍

We went there with a tour, but if you live nearby you can buy a membership and visit often. We tend to buy memberships to the local museum and zoo in our area and when we have visitors it's nice to take them there.
This zoo gives you a chance to see the animals that are local to Australia, like the kangaroo, the koala etc. they have lots of play areas for younger kids.
,a few picnic areas and at different hours they have one of the caretakers come out and talk about a certain species of animal found there. If there are specific topics you are interested in, I would suggest to look at their website and know what time they have their talks and where, to plan for that.
The best part for us was at the end they have a bird show at 3pm where the trainers come out to show your a few if the species they take care of and your studio see how well the birds they have are trained. It's pretty impressive.
The downside is that it was a bit hot day and most animals are napping in the shade with their face hidden.
Perhaps it's better to buy tickets yourself instead of paying a tour company to take you. You will have more time to do as you please. The main issue you will have is how to get there.. but if you are local.. you probably won't have that issue ;)

Fantastic zoo to take your children to it has all the native animals and you can get a close encounter with some of them. Be careful to go on a hot day. It is pretty dry and can get pretty hot as you walk around. The place takes at least 3 to 4 hours to see if you want to visit every exhibit. The staff is friendly and there is a lot to see and do.
There are also baby change rooms located throughout the park so you can take your infants and babies with ease

We had a wonderful time at Healesville Sanctuary. The kids all enjoyed walking around looking at the animals.
The walking track was easy to navigate. The map and signage easy to follow.
Only one of the keeper talks occurred. Which was a shame as we walked to quite a few animals enclosure at the specified times.
The Bird Flight display was so good we went back for a second viewing later in the day.
All the nocturnal houses were wonderful and of course the animals were not affected by the weather. The platypus performed for us like he was putting in a private show.
A great family out. Would highly recommend.

This is an absolutely fantastic place to see Australian native animals! The sanctuary does not capture animals for the purpose of being in the zoo and all animals are rescue animals, once pets, or have various stories as to why they can not be released back into the wild.
You can tell all the keepers care deeply for the animals and the animals are all well looked after.
Clean, well maintained and a pleasure to walk around. Also was not crowded on the weekday that we visited.

This is very nice and educational. Don't worry about food and drinks; they have them there. Just prepare your legs for the long walk as you tour the area. The bird show is the best. Amazing little place to visit.
You don't need to pay extra for any of the events if you just want to pay entry and roam, we got to watch after they changed the food in the koala enclosure. Even though it was so hot they had fresh food so they ended up being very active.
The kangaroos normally come right up to you to say hi but in hot days they lay in the shade and sleep.
It's definitely a good place to visit whether you are with family, a partner or by yourself. Plenty to see and do.

I had a brilliant experience. Visited after about a decade. At places it felt like a zoo but overall could see the animals in their natural habitat. They are well looked after. Had conversations with the keepers and volunteers which displayed their genuine love for the animals in their care. The staff is friendly and accessible. The flight deck bird show was informative and exciting. Cafes and washrooms are well located. Not posting many photos as they are readily available on the net.

We can easily spend a day here. Most of the animals were on display and we could see many of them up close. The bird show was entertaining. There were also 1 or 2 children’s play areas and kids loved playing with the sand. There was a toilet near the kids’ play area which was convenient. The directions were very clear, placed throughout the place and hence, helpful to get around the sanctuary. Thanks.

What a great place for getting to know the Australian fauna.
Beautifully laid out sanctuary with plenty of space for the animals. For Europeans it’s a place of wonders as we’re not used to the extraordinary and unique fauna of Australia.
I always longed to finally see a Tasmanian Devil or an Echidna. There I had them all. The work they’re doing here is beautiful and important, so supporting the sanctuary is vital.
We could even witness an operation on a wedge-tail eagle who suffered from trauma. Where in this world are such things remotely possible? Just wonderful.
Loved every minute and would go there again any time we’re back in Australia.

We loved our visit to Healesville sanctuary! An easy drive from Melbourne; the sanctuary is a little outside of the township. We arrived to find loads of parking and quickly made our way to the entrance. Tickets prices are reasonable if you plan to spend the entire day visiting.
We spent a full and exciting day in this beautiful, peaceful setting observing animals in the natural environment. We were thrilled that some of the keepers spent quality time talking passionately about the animals and birds that were in their care.
Unfortunately we didn’t bring lunch with us and relied on the on-site cafe. The food is ok and a little over priced but we will definitely come back with our own picnic basket as there are many gorgeous spots to stop for lunch!
We also stayed for the Spirits of the Sky show. The show is located in flight arena with plenty of room for large sittings. The birds are incredibly well trained and are rewarded for their efforts!
A wonderful way to see Australian native flora and fauna. Great day out for all ages and it’s wheelchair friendly too!

Very nice zoo. Yes, they do animal rescue and breeding but they are a zoo. Animals were well cared for. Excellent staff, plenty of parking. A tad too much money for admission. Gift shop and refreshments are cashless. So if you have no card you are unwelcome. I tried to spend money, you know actual Austalian currency, in the gift shop but was rebuffed. Seems like a poor decision to lose 100-200 dollars because you won't accept money. 8$ for a magnet seems steep. Lovely place, will not return and do not recommend for those who still use money.
Steavenson Falls is a well-known tourist attraction in Victoria that boasts an 84-meter drop and offers camping grounds, trails, and viewing platforms. Visitors can enjoy an easy 700-meter walk to the waterfall, which is floodlit between dusk and midnight for nighttime viewing. The area also has additional walking tracks, including an 800-meter hike to the top of the falls. However, parking can be a problem at times with warning signs in place.
So amazing.
The falls are an easy walk from the parking lot. The falls are powerful and there is plenty of water. Certainly worth visiting.
There is also some great hiking in this area, if you have extra time.

Nice spot. Very popular.
700m easy grade walk to waterfall. Nice viewing platforms.
Then 800m hike to the top of the falls.
(I didn't go)
Parking was a problem, but there was a warning sign well in advance reporting the problem. So you can turn back and go later, or wait in a queue.
Other walking tracks in area. You can even hike back to town.
No pets allowed on the walk.

Stevenson Falls such a great, peaceful, majestic, beautiful place. Whether it's a romantic day out with that special person, a fun family day or a great nature walk. Stevenson Falls is a place you can't miss. Victoria has so many wonderful places to see and little hidden gems. This is definitely one of those gems that needs to be on everyone's bucket list. With amenities and facilities, those comforts people need are available and after a shot walk from the car park to the Falls. It is sure to be a place you'll never forget. A definite must see.

The falls are always pretty and worth a look. There is a walk of about 700 metres along a fairly flat gravel path.
Watch out for snakes on a warm day.
It's a shame the track to the upper falls lookout and Keppels lookout was closed due to tree clearing works.

First trip to Steavenson Falls and it is probably the best access and for viewing Falls in Victoria, I wish all the councils can provide similar wide, clean and flat walking path, and very strategic located and will built viewing platforms - not 1, but 3, near to each others but with different perspectives.
There are many other tracks around too for those enjoying forest walks or wish to walk to the top of the Falls. The Falls is in fact a 3 levels falls.

It’s one the good waterfalls we’ve seen in Victoria. You can walk onto the stone below the waterfall at base. There are 2 viewpoints at base for clicking good pics. If you are up for a small hike, you can go to the top of the waterfall too. Definitely worth visiting.

Great scenery and very easily accessible waterfall.
The path there was very well kept and nicely lit when it gets dark thanks to the in-house turbine supplying the electricity.
The trek up to the top of the falls can be a bit sketchy specially if it just rained in the area. The mud and the rocks will be tricky to navigate through during these times but rest assured, the view up the top is quite nice

Steavenson Falls is perfect for folks who like both short and long journeys. You can take a quick 800m path to see the falls or opt for a longer, about 1-hour hike to reach the top. No entry fee, and there's plenty of parking. I visited on a day when the parking ticket machine was closed, so no charges. The falls are beautiful, and you can choose how much adventure you want – whether a short stroll or a longer hike – making it a great spot for everyone.

Beautiful waterfall located in Marysville Victoria. Strollers can be taken up to the view point which is an advantage if you are traveling with a baby. Just about a 15 minute walk from the car park. If you are going to the top of the waterfall, the walk will take around 1-1.5 hrs but I’m sure the view will be amazing. Unfortunately we couldn’t make it with the kids.
There are some ticket machines in the car park which are not working so it is free of charge for now.

Seriously beautiful falls just outside of Marysville. It's about 90 minutes from suburban Melbourne. There are toilets and car park (bring coins for meters). The walk to the falls from the car park is quite easy. The walk to the top of the falls is far more challenging. The elderly will need to take it in stages. Young kids will ask 4,000 times "are we there yet??". If you get to the top of the falls you are rewarded with a viewing platform that allows you great views of the valley. On a hot day it's wonderful to cool off your feet in the crystal clear water. There are several other hiking trails for those with too much energy. There are very few sizable falls close to Melbourne - this is one of them and well worth the trip.

This might not be the biggest waterfall, but you can get close to the waterfall to enjoy the sight and sound of the rushing water. The water volume is high and the environment is tranquil. It's winter during my visit so it can be quite chilly in the evening. It's worth visiting and I recommend it. ;)

Amazing place with a beautiful waterfall!
10-15 minutes walk to the top of the falls and if you wish there is another track that takes you even further to see a. Beautiful view of the mountains and the town below.
About 30 minutes in addition to the first trail.

What an amazing place ! This place is surrounded by kid friendly parks, creeks, lakes and eateries. The falls in itself was mind blowing. It is a short walk to the falls. For a better view of the falls, there are 2 kinds of treks - one that is easily doable by kids(4-7 years) for 45 mins and the other for more seasoned trekkers which is a longer half day trek. We loved coming here in July 2023.

Beautiful waterfall around Melbourne, Victoria.
🌈I went to Black Spur Drive and added an extra 30 minutes to drive to enjoy one of Victoria’s stunning waterfalls.🤩
📍STEAVENSON FALLS,Marysville, Victoria,
They have free parking, some time you might need to wait 5-10, if parking is full.
Need to walk 5-10 min with beautiful nature walk. 😍

One of my favourite waterfalls in Melbourne! You can see the falls from bottom or from the top.
Highly recommend to spend 15-30mins walking to the top of falls.
There is a Free parking area (the ticket machine is closed) but the parking slots are limited.

If you're looking for a waterfall with a decent fall, this will be a really good one to visit, it's got the height and the water rush. We were however visiting on a rainy day so that clearly impacts water density, though signs do indicate that they get falls throughout the year. You're not allowed to go into the water as it's the town water supply, and you can't really find spots to sit on right next to flowing water with views of the fall if you're thinking of a picnic. We visited in the day but there's a turbine that powers up flood lights at night (till 11pm) so that would be quite interesting if you were staying nearby. The walk is not difficult for the average person (flat), but there's railings all the way from the carpark which may come in handy for some. Path is also rubbled so it wasn't muddy even with the rain. Public toilets available.

Nice place/waterfall to visit, worth a short and easy walk from a free carpark. View from the top of the waterfall might not be worth it if you are with kids or in a hurry. There is also a hiking path around, near the top of the waterfall, however, again it might not be worth to take if you are not into longer hiking and with kids. The hiking path is not difficult though.

A water fall is close to the town centre, easy to access, short walks from parking. a good place to visit. We could even visit in night time, there're lights along the pathway, good experience (light off from 11pm)

Loved the waterfalls and the nature view is amazing.
You will definitely fall in love with the beauty of nature while hiking.
I would definitely recommend the hike around the Stevenson falls (Circuit) which is around 10kms.

serene and green location with 700-meter trek. Parking is convenient, but be prepared for basic restroom conditions. Remember to pack your own food, as there are no shops or stalls nearby.
Drive from Melbourne is scenic with hilly terrain leads to an "okay" destination.
Enjoy your peaceful adventure

A gorgeous and peaceful spot, only a five minute drive from town. Many of the tourists there are quite pleasant and respectful, at least in my own experience. I did the hike up to the top of the falls and loved it, despite being rather out of shape and having to push myself to do it. I didn't have the heart to try Keppel Lookout, maybe next time hahaha.

Lived in Melbourne for 20 or so years and had my first visit it Steavenson Falls. It's a beautiful spot just outside of Marysville and really easy to get around and the falls not far from the carpark. For those more energetic, there is also a much longer hike but that will be another day for us. Keep an eye out for the local wildlife, there's plenty to see, just check out my photos.
Toilets, seating at the falls and other places and plenty of informative signs all make the visit a great experience.

We drove four and a half hours to go see these falls today, it was very pretty at the bottom of falls and the walk up the track to the top was amazing, views from up there will not disappoint well worth a trip
Absolutely beautiful, relaxing, serene walking trail, easy grade, and the walking trail is all the way along the Ovens river. The sounds of the flowing river is soothing and pleasant. If you look around, you can spot some pretty and interesting plants, flowers and even little fuzzy crawlies. Loved this trail.

Absolutely wonderful walk along the beautiful Ovens River. Easy defined pathway, great for all ages, kids and dogs too. Some seating along the way. Able to just walk half way by crossing river at first bridge if you don't want to walk 4.9km loop.

Picturesque, easy walk. Family friendly (with our 3 kids under 9 years old). The first part of the walk is pram friendly, then it goes across the swing bridge and becomes gravel and uphill which was tricky with the pram. Overall a really pleasant walk, which we did twice while staying in Bright. And we rode our bikes here too!

I would like to recommend a great place that I personally love. This spot is perfect for anyone who enjoys hiking and spending time in nature. The 5 km walking trail winds through the beautiful mountains and alongside picturesque bodies of water, making for a stunning outdoor adventure.
What's more, this location is also a fantastic destination for families with children, as there are plenty of fun and engaging activities to enjoy together. Whether you're picnicking by the water, playing games, or exploring the natural surroundings, there's always something exciting to do here.

Very pleasant walk. If you want to go all the way to the swimming hole, be prepared for some wading towards the end. Hiking sticks would be useful as some rocks are unsteady.

I went for nice long walk with the dog. It was peaceful and quiet without having that creepy feeling when walking on your own.
The paths on the return loop was a bit overgrown, but that really added to the adventure.
So fresh and green and the smell when you walk through the patch of wild mint is amazing.

Formal gardens containing a wealth of native & exotic plantlife & a small-scale railway.

This is the second time I have visited the Botanic garden with my godson a soldier at Kapooka, the first being in June 2022 and this visit in May 2023. It is a very well laid out garden. I was particularly interested in the display of local flora. This time we concentrated on the fauna. It was interesting to see dingos close up. The deciduous trees looked splendid in their bright autumn colours.

The playgrounds are great and kids love playing on them they have BBQ plates next to them they work most the time so great place for family's. And it has a fitness track great for jogging with chin up and dip bars. And the scenery is beautiful and well maintained. A must visit place if passing by Wagga Wagga as a traveller or just as a local. The garden is flawlessly beautiful with lots of flowers and little attractions. It has access to public toilets and ample parking space on flexible pavement strip built closer to the road. There is a train ride journey one can enjoy imitating the real railways (popular among kids) that works once or twice a month on the weekend only. The toy train is run by the volunteers of Wagga Wagga society of model engineers(WWSME). The toy train is called Willians hill miniature railway.

Having grown up in Wagga and having spent many happy times in these gardens it was a pleasure to visit again today. It is the perfect place for a picnic. However, the Garden Cafe serves excellent "All day breakfast" and lunch - reasonably priced. Lovely playground for little ones. A free, mostly Australian animals and birds, Zoo and a great adventure playground. Chinese garden, succulent garden, rose garden and a model railway. The perfect place for a day out with the family.

I had a wonderful visit to the Wagga Wagga Botanic Gardens in the heart of the city. The garden's beauty and tranquility were truly impressive. I was captivated by the diverse collection of plants, well-maintained pathways, and the serene lake. It's a perfect place to unwind, connect with nature, and enjoy a leisurely stroll. The staff was friendly, and the educational aspects added to the experience. Highly recommended for nature enthusiasts and those seeking a peaceful escape within the city.

Wonderful public parklands with several separate children's playgrounds, zoo and avery, cafe, pump track, and miniature train. The train runs the first and third Sunday of the month and costs $4 per person. You must wear enclosed shoes. I've seen people take the dogs on the train too. The cafe has great gelato. The zoo has dingos and other Australian animals. The Avery has a free flight area with a fish pond. Lots of fun for the entire family.
An old flour mill that has renovated to a high standard and would be fantastic for engagement or wedding venue. Great watching how they make the yummy chocolate and licorice. Staff also very friendly and helpful. We didn't get to eat there but would really like to next time we visit there.

The grounds are beautiful to look at, and sit in. The staff very friendly. The food in the restaurant part was very disappointing, couldn't order from the menu, only could order pizzas today, and they weren't very nice, we couldn't eat them, we tried, but felt sick after.
The gift shop upstairs had a nice range of local and non local wares.
The chocolate factory, u could see them making it through the windows, and you could make yr own chocolate too for a price, then you could go to the chocolate and licorice shop and buy some goodies to take home.
Outside they had a big shed that was full of vintage automobiles, for a gold coin entrance.

Took the opportunity to have lunch here while in the area. Great to see they were dog friendly in the outdoor eating area.
The menu has changed since last here with some interesting new additions.

Lunch we tried the the Vegemite croquettes, an acquired taste I think, not for us.
Steak sandwich and the squid tacos were delicious.

If you are passing through Junee make sure you stop at the chocolate factory here for some delicious chocolates which will not disappoint you. I know I enjoyed the chocolate coated nuts 😁. Visited over the Easter weekend and it was quite busy. We didn’t do the tour, or eat at the restaurant, but food looked and smelt great. Got a coffee and dessert from the cafe which were both fantastic. Also loved the liquorice store and wish I stocked up on the raspberry bullets! YUM!
Would love to come back and try the food. Very nice atmosphere. Be mindful of the vehicle you drive in, as it’s loose gravel. Also found this cute friendly dog wondering around outside 🥰

I really loved this place. It was our destination for our weekend trip to Junee and I travelled with my wife, kids and parents-in-law. We visited Saturday and while there were no scheduled tours, we asked and the lovely staff organised on for us and a few other families. The lady giving the tour, Katrina, was excellent and taught us a lot about how the products were made. We had fun too with the vertical bowling too and my son was delighted to win a prize. Lovely gift shops and cafes very reasonably priced. The coffee and hot chocolates were the best we had in town, we were back Sunday morning for another round! Definitely worth a visit.

Tours are run daily at 10:30am and 1:30pm so unfortunately we missed the tour however we were able to walk around and have a look through the windows at some of the production. Upstairs is a gift shop with a range of different items not related to the licorice and chocolate factory. For $5 you can make your very own big chocolate freckle in the freckle hut. There are several places to sit and enjoy some food. The hot chocolate’s are delicious.

Unfortunately no chocolate was being made the day we visited but despite that the building was beautiful to look around. The gift shop was pretty but honestly had very little amount of items related to the chocolate shop, to me it seemed very sporadic. The licorice shop smelt amazing, and the staff were lovely. Beautiful gardens as well. There is very little storage and unfortunately the building seemed more like a storage place, than a building where chocolate is made, as well as a cafe etc. There were cardboard boxes everywhere, plastic crates and a random ratty old computer chair. All in all it was a beautiful building to visit & the licorice is delicious.

Depicting a famous 1850s bush ballad, this monument shows a dog guarding his owner's tuckerbox.
A great place to stop and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. There are tables to sit and eat or just sit and relax for a bit after taking a break from long drive. The souvenir store is great, with many awesome products, from fridge magnets, crafts to boutique alcoholic beverages. There is also a Cafe there to enjoy a coffee too. A nice place to stop either direction during daytime. Little cafe serves nice coffee and fresh sandwiches, the kitchen is closed as well as selling local produce and trinkets. Friendly service from owner, support local small businesses as still struggling after covid.
Grass to lay down on and relax, or table and benches scattered about.

Such a lovely historical spot to visit. I noticed the old statue to the side, and the new monument has a water fountain around it. Wanted to recreate a photo I took there of a child but couldn't as the old monument no longer has the dog on it and it's been moved onto a larger monument and is surrounded by water.
Beautiful backdrop and location.

I saw The Dog on the Tuckerbox in the 1980's sometime when driving from Adelaide to Sydney. I think it was in a bit more of a bush setting then. However Australia has changed a lot since then and progress we have. I loved it then and I think it is what we need now, so l believe it has been done well . It is such an Australian icon, and a must see for visitors passing through.

It's an icon because of our Australian history. Some history is presented at the site. There's a dog on the Tucker box statue to take photos of and one for your own dog should you be so inclined. Nice between grass. Some toilets. A bit of dirt to park on which can be unpleasant if the wind gets up. A souvenir shop. Fork and did in in the area. If you've never been it's worth a stop but I would not go to too much trouble. Certainly better than it was 20 years ago.

The iconic Dog on the Tucker Box. My second visit, the first being 25 years ago. It's still the same. I love the merry history surrounding it and the numerous poems and songs it is included in. It sits at Five Mile Creek, 5 miles (north) from Gundagai.
There is a mock tuckerbox you can sit your dog on to take a photo.
Lots of parking and easy pull out back onto the highway. There is a turn zone in the middle of the highway, so pull in and out possible in either direction (we had caravan in tow :-)

Dog on a Tucker Box Gundagai area is an interesting place with a couple of historical Homestead ruins and a couple of old horse draw wagons also so here!
As you turn off the Hume highway near the petrol station, the small road heading to the Tuckerbox, there's road works being done at the moment being (February 2024)...
Unfortunately for us the souvenir / gift store was closed and also I will add there is some tables seating area if you need a rest from driving...
This part below is a copy from the sign in front of the dog statue of most part:
Dog on the Tuckerbox memorial is supposedly based on an
incident that occurred to a teamster named Bill the Bullock on the road to Gundagai in the 1850s. While leading his bullocks team and wagon across a creek five or nine miles from Gundagai,
Bill's wagon became hopelessly bogged in the creek, trying to drag the wagon out of the bog one of his bullocks and then broke the wagon's yoke.
Thereupon, Bill gave up the job and went to have his lunch...
But here, to top off his run of bad luck, he found his dog sitting - or worse - on his tuckerbox...The other bullockies thought the incident a great joke, and one of them supposeally wrote a poem
about it.

You can pull off and get back on highway with no trouble, and the area is big and plenty of room to unwind. There is food, and the little store has different nik naks to buy. Also an antique shop for a look around, not sure if connected to the store with the food. The second photo taken from ladies, so had to take photo, interesting info, gave me laugh. The national parliament building of Australia, also known as Parliament House or Capital Hill, was constructed in 1988 and is located on a vast hilltop. It has great symbolic value and its architecture represents the historical and legislative progression of Australian democracy. Inside the building, visitors can witness politicians debating in chambers. Parliament House serves as the meeting place for the parliament of Australia and is where the legislative branch of the government operates from. The attraction is open to public with ample car parking spaces available for visitors.
Parliament House, also referred to as Capital Hill or simply Parliament, is a must to see in Canberra. Its open to public with plenty of car parks. It is the meeting place of the Parliament of Australia, and the seat of the legislative branch of the Australian Government. Highly recommended.

A great attraction to visit when in Canberra. The architecture is amazing and great to read the history of the building.
There are several areas that you can do when you visit which are mainly the Senate, House of Representatives, the roof, parliament cafe, store and walk the hallways. There is a map upon entry which indicates all of the aforementioned attractions. You can take some excellent photos of Canberra including Old Parliament House and War Memorial from the roof of Parliament House.
You can reach there by drive, walk or catch a bus to Parliament House and there is underground parking.
There is separate parking for vehicles with higher heights.
Access to Parliament House is via the main entry at the front of the building. Once you pass through security, you’ll find yourself inside the house.

If you want to have a guided tour inside you can book a tour online before going. Recommend to book it in advance as tours are small groups only and can get booked pretty fast. Our guide was quite friendly and provided some nice facts about the building and how it was designed and constructed.

An incredible tour and highly recommended, even for those who aren't particularly interesting in politics! Booking several weeks ahead for the tour is recommended, with the tour guides providing lots of unique facts and information that you would otherwise miss, with each tour being about 45 minutes long.
After the tour, you're free to walk throughout the tourist areas within the Parliament House, with lots of paintings and information boards available. There's a small cafe inside too, and parking nearby, assuming there's no COVID-19 protestors in the vicinity.

Very interesting place to visit. There is a fantastic view from the top. I went on the highly recommended “Best of Parliament House” tour and the tour was amazing. The only thing that was disappointing was that although there were two working elevators to the rooftop, the staff only opened one of them, resulting in not only a fiendishly long queue, but also a very crammed space within the elevator itself. I strongly suggest for you to arrive earlier to avoid long queues for security at the front door.

We were planning on just a quick visit to this site, but we ended up spending a lot more time here because there was so much to see and do. The history and architecture of this building is fascinating, and it’s worth checking out the different areas including the rooftop. We went on the free Heart of the House tour with Matt which was great (though slightly shorter than we had hoped). We also ended up doing a tour with Nemo, who we found to be very knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic. Both tour guides were great and we couldn’t have asked for better! Also, special thanks to the staff member who appeared to be in charge at the front desk (I think her name was Helene). She was quick to address our concerns and really made us feel welcome.
Docking one star due to a horrible experience we had with the security guard outside the senate chambers. Instead of just informing us that the site was partially closed, he started yelling at us in an extremely rude and unprofessional manner while talking on this phone.
Overall, definitely worth the visit. Highly recommended for both tourists and locals!

We did the “best of Parliament House tour” this was such an immersive and informative experience, our tour guide Mike made all the difference, he took the time to explain things clearly and thoroughly, not rushing.
Absolutely recommend this tour, informative and pleasant.

A great tour. Great history. Great government except they still have a monarchy in the twenty first century. Great items that see. Nice try see everything so open and relaxed unlike the U.S. Also nice to see everything so clean unlike the U.S. Nice to see everything so safe and everyone so nice unlike the U.S.

Parliament House in Canberra stands as an architectural marvel and a symbol of democratic governance. Its impressive design seamlessly integrates with the landscape, offering breathtaking views of the city. The guided tours provide fascinating insights into Australia's political history, making it an educational and enriching experience. The iconic flag mast and the memorable Great Hall add to the grandeur, making Parliament House a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists.

An Interesting Building! Politics, what more can I say? Lots!! The building is lovely, the portraits - Paintings were nice, but the best part of the Tour was Peter of "Transtar Coaches"! Peter is a very knowledgeable man and was very patient with everyone's questions - but also excellent at providing all the Information needed on what goes on in Parliament. Take the Tour, you will enjoy it!

Bigger and better than expected 🤩
It was just amazing 👌
Loved the free tour guide by Jack who took us through the House Of Representatives into the private viewing of the public gallery, and explained how it worked meaning the how the colour concept derived from the House of Lords and incorporated the Aussie gum leave colours.
He also explained everything about the Clocks, Speakers, flags, soundproof areas and much more ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The grand ball room was amazing and it even had a Christmas tree in the foyer.

Our visit to Parliament House was really enjoyable. The security staff were not only professional but also very friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere right from the start. It's worth mentioning that entry is free.
We appreciated the thorough yet efficient security checks before entering. It made us feel secure without causing any hassle. Inside, there's a cafe and a shop, adding a convenient touch to the overall experience.
The whole setup is well-organized, making it a great place to spend some time. Whether you're interested in the political aspect or just want to explore, Parliament House offers a welcoming environment. Five stars for a smooth and pleasant visit!

It's surprising and wonderful when visitors can visit the current workplace of the parliament. The project is designed harmoniously and solemnly with simple, intimate but no less elegant details. On the roof is a majestic and admirable flagpole structure

Visiting the Parliament House, which represents an Australia, was a very rewarding and wonderful experience.
It was easy to park because I visited by car, and I felt like I was entering a government building after going through security at the entrance.
The seating arrangement of the upper and lower houses was the same, but the seating arrangement of the ruling and opposition parties, the color of the chairs that distinguish the upper and lower houses, and the seat arrangement for government ministers in front of the lower house meeting room were impressive.
Portraits of former prime ministers were beautifully displayed on the second floor.
It was also impressive to watch the Chamber from the public gallery, and I recommend visiting it.
At the exit, there is a shop that sells souvenirs.

The Australian Parliament in Canberra offers a captivating experience for tourists. The architecture is striking, and the guided tours provide insightful glimpses into the country's political history. The efficiency of parliamentary sessions and the professionalism displayed by officials enhance the visit. I'd rate it 4.5 stars for its enriching experience.
Questacon - National Science and Technology Centre in Canberra is a children's museum with interactive exhibits and puppet shows focused on science and technology. It offers approximately 200 hands-on exhibits spread across seven galleries, including earthquake simulators and a huge model of the moon. The facility is popular for its entertaining approach to learning that deviates from traditional classroom teaching. Visitors are encouraged to catch one of the regular science shows at the site's theatre, with updated times available online.
Absolutely amazing. The people working here have the best jobs in the continent. Ideal for middle and high school kids but equally good for all ages. You need to spend One whole day here if you are a science enthusiast. Love it. Coming back here once the kids have grown up a little.

Awesome interactive fun for the kids. Parking is good and you can do the whole thing in under 3 hours. We got in early just before the school excursions started and it went pretty smoothly. There’s a sensory play area for 0-6 years which my daughter loved. Great day out!!

Exceptional science museum lots of fun for the family. We love taking our young children to Questacon and this year we purchased an annual pass from the University of Wollongong Science Space which gave us unlimited entries to reciprocal museums in Australia. We visited Questacon on Good Friday and Easter Monday and thoroughly enjoyed the Spectacular Science Shows held at the Japan Centre theatre. We watched the Dinosaur show, Energy show and the Fire show. All the presenters were excellent! Entertaining, funny and very informative! We had Alice (Dinosaur) and David (Fire) - sorry forgot the lady’s name for the energy show but she was great too. We also attended the Butterfly Adventure session too and it was a lot of fun! We thoroughly enjoyed all the exhibitions, lots of hands on fun and learning for the kids of all ages. Thank you Questacon! I hope you continue to get the funding and resources to provide high quality educational exhibits for all ages.

It's been decades since I have been here so I decided to bring my own kids here to enjoy what I enjoyed as a child. It's changed a lot - spacious, well run, and quite a lot of things to do. Very hands on with sanitisers at every activity. Pity the free fall exhibit was closed due to Covid - would have been fun for everyone!

A Wholesome Family Adventure at Questacon
Having recently visited Questacon in Canberra with my young toddler, I am filled with nothing but praises for this interactive science center. The variety of exhibits catered not only to the curious minds of the adults but were also enthralling for the little ones. A particular favorite was the water play area which provided an engaging and fun learning experience for my toddler. The hands-on approach of the exhibits kept him entertained and intrigued throughout our visit.
The convenience of having a restaurant inside the premises was a big plus. It allowed us to take a break, refuel and get back to exploring without having to leave the center. The food offered was of good quality with a variety of options to cater to different tastes.
Moreover, the availability of plenty of restrooms and change areas made our visit smooth, especially with a toddler in tow. It’s evident that Questacon has thoughtfully considered the needs of families, making it a comfortable and enjoyable outing for both kids and adults alike.
In a nutshell, our visit to Questacon was a delightful blend of learning and fun. The well-maintained facilities, educational exhibits, and thoughtful amenities like restrooms and a change area, made our outing stress-free and enjoyable. I highly recommend Questacon for families with young children; it’s a place where curiosity is ignited and learning is made joyful.

What a place. Something for everyone here, a fascinating place jammed to the hilt with interactive and informative exhibits. We spent 3 hrs at Questacon and could have spent longer.
They handily have thought of everything, free of charge lockers available for those pesky bags, a fountain to fill your drink bottles.
The staff were next to none they were so friendly and engaging and ready to share all the info.
Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable.

Lovely place to hang out with family..
There are 7 areas to explore.. The famous one is the Excited Area.. It is like a little playground for kids and grown up as well. There is a slide called free fall where you hang yourself on the bar before you slide down..It is quite daunting experience. 😁
There are few shows as well. It is free show. The theme of the show depend on the day you came. When we went there, we watched dinosaur show. There are two more show at 1.30 and 2.30 with different topic, but unfortunately we couldn't make it.
If you hungry, there are place to eat on the first level.
If you want to explore without bring your bag, you can save it in the locker provide it. Just talked to the staff member in ticket area about the locker, they will give you the coin to insert there. Once you are done, you can give it back to them..
You can spend time more than 3 hours if you are not in hurry.
Overall I like it there. Wish to stay longer.

The Questacon is a great day out for kids. Lots of galleries of various interactive displays for them to engage in. It could be a whole day event for kids.
The food in the Atomic Cafe is reasonable as well.
We visited on a day during the ACT school term so it wasn’t crowded with school aged kids. There were a number of other interstate visitors so it should be expected that it would be crowded during the ACT school holidays.
Overall, a great day out for kids!

one of the most fun things you can do in Canberra. great for kids and family. but I also enjoyed it as an adult.
if you want to go there, have to book ticket on their website a week or 3 days before, because most of the day the ticket will be sold out if you go there straight away, especially weekends.

Fantastic day of family fun! Our 8 year old adored it, and we did too. Heaps of interactive exhibits and a daily pass includes in/out privileges, so you can easily pop out for lunch.
We spent the entire day here, and my only complaint is a lack of bubblers, so bring a water bottle, I suppose!

Having been to a few museums now, it was great to take my 3yo to one specifically designed for them to touch and play with the exhibits. I think it would be more aimed towards someone 5+ but it was still great for my child, and we will definitely be back before he is 5.
The lighting inside is a bit dim, with the individual stations of an exhibit well lit, and overall it is very noisy, so if you or your child are easily overstimulated, it may not be the best place to bring them.

Truly the best of the best. We went to so many science museum in NSW and Questacon is the best. We spent 5 hours there and try everything out. It contains so many interesting things that the kids loved them so much. The tickets were really worth!

Every young Australian parent knows of Questacon. Those school trips to Canberra were simply made to come here.
I hadn't visited in over 5 years but I was eager to bring my family along again. We have a family pass that's used for the National Maritime Museum in Sydney so we get enter here with that also. Getting in was easy with the membership queue line.
The entry forecourt is filled with some activists that are just the start of your busy few hours here. You make your way up the big rano and will be greeted with hands-on activities to do before starting to make your way into the various areas of the museum. You can't rush through, take your time and let the children explore all the hands-on exhibits.
While the staple exhibits ars still here they also have what seems a few interactions that must change every so often. A few of the things I recall were not around anymore but change is good.
I was happy with the amount of hand sanitiser available (I know we are not in the pandemic) considering how very hands-on everything is.
The giant free-fall slide is an institutional thing you must do. It is pretty much the only ride in Canberra.
We had a great fun time chilling out under the moon in the end before exploring the gift shop.
If you come to Canberra you have to visit this place. Parking is free on weekends. Monday-Friday you do pay for parking.

This is an amazing place, suitable for all ages. Everything is hands-on with clear expectations of what is happening. The Galleries are split into different areas - earth, humans v AI etc. It was great fun. We went on a weekday during term time so there were a few schools there too but they were well behaved and we went were they weren't.

Can’t fault Questacon, it really is an amazing fun and interactive experience for kids and adults alike. We took our 3 and 6 year old and they both loved it. We went a couple of times over the Easter long weekend and saw the Dinosaur, Fire and Energy shows. The presenters were all amazing but shout out to Alice who did the Dinosaur show. Her show was exceptionally entertaining and her show had no explosions so hats off to her for doing such an engaging show without the aid of fires and explosions.
The cafe had some great lunch packs for kids too and the coffee was good so check that out while you’re there too!

We took our 2 kids aged 9 and 8 years during the school holidays. It was approx $70 for a family of four. During the ticket scanning the staff were very friendly and informed us of shows and times that where included in the ticket price.
We had an amazing time. Everything is hands on and interactive with each gallery focusing on different areas.
We could easily break off and head to the timed shows which were thoroughly entertaining (one focused on Fire, the other was colours.

Went here with family friends last year and the kids had loads of fun.. there are plenty of activities that you can play hands on. There are also programs for grownups too.
One of the programs is free-fall, where you drop from around 5 meters above onto a curved track( forgot what exactly the activity is called). But I have to say, it is very challenging/scary and entertaining too.
Definitely need to bring kids there at least once.

Questacon in Canberra is a stellar science and technology centre. Its interactive exhibits across various scientific fields effectively engage visitors of all ages, making science accessible and exciting. The educational programs, aligned with Australia's National Curriculum, are a valuable resource for schools. Questacon's outreach efforts, extending to remote areas, are commendable. While it excels in interactive learning, the centre could benefit from more in-depth content in some areas. Overall, its contribution to inspiring future scientists and its impact on the community is substantial and noteworthy. It's a great place to spend time with family here.

The National Gallery of Australia is a modern architectural marvel featuring an extensive collection of Australian and international art, including a substantial aboriginal exhibit. The purpose-built gallery, located in the parliamentary precinct, showcases works from renowned artists throughout history. Notable pieces include Monet's Waterlilies, Sidney Nolan's Ned Kelly paintings, Salvador Dali's Lobster Telephone, Andy Warhol's Elvis print and Francis Bacon's triptych.
Been back a few times over the years and it’s always a great experience. Free entry to beautiful artworks and lots of it! Can spend all day in the free section and sculpture garden.
Didn’t visit a paid exhibition this time but recommend booking tickets for those online as we arrived upon open (10am) and Jeffrey Smart was booked out until 12:30pm.

We visited National Gallery of Australia and really enjoyed our visit. We were asked to lock our bags in the free lockers before being allowed entry. There are two floors of great art, ranging from nineteenth century till present. The star of the gallery is the Monet. It took us a couple of hours to browse the free galleries. A great place to view works of art. There is also a bookshop and cafe here.

It's surprisingly good with a great variety of art across time. Jackson Pollock, Sidney Nolan, and a few crazy weird pieces. The building itself is a marvel. I highly recommend doing the 1hr tour to get your bearings. Derek was engaging and enthusiastic. The gift ship was the usual rip-off. And why they charge for parking on a weekend is beyond me. Just greediness. Park at Bowen Park and walk around the lake. Also, security freaked out about my water bottle and gave me a paper bag to put it in?!
Overall, I'm happy I checked it out. 2-3hrs needed.

This holidays we attended a free kids art workshop which was wonderful.
I loved coming here when I had a baby - wide open space meant walking with a pram was easy. Toilets were very pleasant and there is a parents room.
I love that many of the exhibitions regularly change.

Went to the Jeffery Smart exhibition at the NGA and it was absolutely glorious. Not too long that you got bored but not to short that you were wanting more.
It was nice to see the artist’s personal progression reflected through the stylistic choices of their work. It was also nice to see many of the same themes appear throughout the exhibition.
We were fortunate enough to speak to one of the volunteers who spoke through the exhibition with us, giving us a new perspective, moreover the motives of the artist.
Really enjoyed this exhibition and the NGA

The NGA hosted our wedding ceremony in April. We used the sculpture gardens near the Angel of the North and spilling over towards the Knot. I was so impressed with the service, from the moment of our first enquiry, through all my difficult bride questions, to the day of. We had staff on hand to pack up/down, serve drinks, provide support throughout the entire event, keep us on track and make sure everyone was happy and well looked after. The gallery itself looks FANTASTIC in our pictures, and that alone would have impressed me even without the fantastic service. I could not fault anything, and highly recommend them to any couple looking for a unique and beautiful venue for their wedding.

The Australian War Memorial in Canberra is a stunning example of art-deco architecture and serves as a visual representation of the nation's gratitude for military sacrifice. This shrine was built to commemorate the 'war to end all wars', even though World War II had already broken out by the time it opened in 1941. The attached museum is exceptionally well-designed and covers Australia's military history comprehensively.
A fantastic Museum and war memorial. Would highly recommend attending if you are visiting Canberra. It is free to the public but you do need to go onto the website a book a time due to covid restrictions.

Honouring the fallen men & women! Incredible place to be. Lots of history and knowledge of the past at this place. One side is the memorial while other is the Army museum which is worth seeing. Would recommend you book two sessions so you can see everything and soak in all. Love being there!

Massive place! Easy to get lost, really need a couple of days in here to see it all. We had a guided tour and our tour guide was a wonderful guy and very knowledgeable and friendly, was more than happy to take me back to the shrine of the unknown soldier and the hall of remembrance as I was late arriving and missed the start of the tour. There were a lot of building works going on when we visited unfortunately so the lift for my partner was out of service as she was in a wheelchair while we were visiting, they did have a mechanical stair crawler for wheelchairs but was very slow.
Would love to come back and spend more time next time

The War Memorial is a great way to remember the fallen and learn about the wars Australia was in. WWI, WWII, Vietnam war, Korean war and many more are included. There are countless artifacts and bits of information which tell visitors about Australia's part in the wars mentioned above. Unfortunately when I visited it was under renovation, although when it is done I will come again and see all the War Memorial has to offer.

A wonderful place to visit. Draws out the raw emotions from everyone, be them very high to very low.
Give yourself plenty of time to visit it all, so much history and personal stories to read and experience. Then, to cap off the day, appreciate the calling of the Last Post.
A truly memorable visit with many more to come once the construction and refurbishments are complete.
Stunning display of Australian war memorabilia and homage to the living and lost veterans of war. Freedom isn't free for any country and this memorial takes you straight to that fact.
It's a free tour but you have to schedule a time online. They also have free guided tours.

A must for those into WW1 and WW2. Lots of historical items are displayed, and you can relate to what you have read in the books. You have a choice to follow the guided tour or go on your own. If you're more into taking photos, better go on your own. Do get the ticket in advance via online (ticket is free), which allow you to choose the time to visit the war memorial.

Undergoing huge upgrade, but still able to put on a really moving and informative exhibition. An excellent learning experience. Love how they tell the story as it is and allowed my emotions to draw from the facts. I brought guests from Melbourne and South Africa and they were very moved and impressed, especially the Last Post. We did ask the memorials to Anzac Parade too, well worth it.

Visiting the Australian War Memorial was a truly touching experience. I highly recommend everyone to stop by. The free entry is a bonus, and there's so much to see. Make sure to allow plenty of time; it's worth every moment. A poignant tribute and a must-visit. Five stars without a doubt.
Chris White — Google review
One of the most stunning and striking places in all of Australia, the feeling are overwhelmingly sad but great to see the tribute and remembering those that sacrifice their lives for us from the ANZACS to the allies, nurses and anyone that fought in the war for Australia and New Zealand. The information and displays are incredible and intensely detailed, well preserved war artefacts and items belonging to all sides of the conflict and representing all the different divisions of war, the designs and layout is so well illustrated and easy to navigate for any ages and physical abilities. Plenty of helpful and friendly staff to assist you, group tours are free, the iconic poppy on the plaques for the fallen are must do and something from yourself to contribute and be apart of the memorial. I’ve already said a lot about this place, it’s a must visit at least once in your life time either you’re an Aussie/Kiwi or visiting the area, it’s FREE ENTRY and the views from the memorial are breathtaking looking onto Anzac Parade and Australian Parliament House (new and old), you can easily walk there and bus there, parking is available onsite and enjoy a relaxing coffee at their cafe with a whole lot of interesting information surrounding it. This place is literally for anyone absolutely no excuses not to visit doesn’t matter if you’re 8 or 88 years old!

Make sure you book free tickets in advance. Tickets are good for a 2 hour visit but you can get sequential tickets in a day if you’re going to be longer. The front desk also offered to extend for me when I said I was going to sign up for a free tour. Tour was excellent.
Bill Foppe — Google review
Although heart-wrenching, it being full of history, overall the place is very scenic and calm. The staff are very helpful and accommodating, even the ones in the cafe. Hopefully construction finishes soon so people can enjoy the place more.

Staff was so welcoming, all were well informed. Suggestions would be to have a few more seats around for people with mild disabilities as it is a huge area to cover. Our tour guide Scott was very well informed and very well spoken for people with hearing difficulties. Hands down one of the best places to visit in Canberra.
Allison Probert — Google review
Great as usual but currently being enlarged so a lot of construction work going on. The guide said that at present only about 5% of their collection is on display so they desperately needed more space. Should be well worth the wait.
Large ram statue standing as monument to the local wool industry, with an adjacent souvenir shop.
The biggest Christmas Baubles I have ever seen! Awesome monument to call by when heading through Goulburn. Amazing wee city for old school architecture too.

The big Merino is in the corner of Hume and, Sowerby St, Goulburn NSW. Nicknamed "Rambo" by locals, the Big Merino contains a gift shop on the ground floor and a wool display on the second floor which it was closed at the time I visited the Rambo, not sure about the reason. The Big Merino, built in 1985. Standing 15.2 meters high, 18 meters long and weighing 97 tones at the time of construction. The complex was opened on September 20 1985. Normally it is not busy but the date I visited it was long weekend and school holidays which made it extremely busy.
Lots of restaurants and cafe nearby to dine in.
I loved the gift shop in the ground floor. The gift shop was full of good quality made in Australia specifically made in Goulburn items. I liked the wild Australian animals made with wool section.

Definitely worth a visit.
An Australian treasure located at the southern end of Goulburn.
There is a big merino gift shop attached to him and from inside the gift shop you can access stairs which take you up inside the sculpture, which is actually hollow. At the top you can look out of his eyes over the town. On the way up, each level is full of the wool industries history.
Great gift shop with lovely staff.
Free parking.
Wheelchair accessible parking and entry
No toilet but you will find yourself right next to the servo which has toilets.

I have to admit that the Marino Possum is the best wool type wear I've ever had, no over heating like sheep's wool.
Thank you New Zealand possum for your fur. I will cherish my hat and gloves.

I got to climb the big Merino to the top and see through the eyes. The most famous landmark in Goulburn but I must say there’s much more and much better in Goulburn than the Merino.

It's huge. A fun little pit stop. The Little Shop is nice, just around the corner too.

The entrance up to the sheep is via the gift shop
The view from inside the sheep is a bit disappointing as you just see a Coles fuel station and a roundabout
Better to take a photo from outside with the sheep instead

You can see The biggest statue of a Sheep 🐑. Very nice place with facilities of gas/ petroleum, foods n restaurants.

It's BIG! Not quite as famous as its other big things brethren, but definitely more useful items in the gift shop. Beware of the high traffic as a result of the petrol station, Subway and Trapper's across the road

You haven't been to Goulburn unless you have taken a photo of the big merino. There used to be a restaurant inside but now it's a gift shop as there are petrol stations and other fast food stores around.

Lots of sheep information in the Merino, enter through wool shop and up the stairs lots of stairs to look out his eyes. Staff in shop were friendly, shop had a lot of merino wool products.

Good spot to stop on way or from Canberra and Sydney. Fuel nearby. Good free wool museum in the body of the merino, head to the top for views out the eyes. Lots of good things to buy for yourself or as gifts in the shop.

We visited this landmark which is located at a rest stop where there are petrol stations and cafes. It is a very tall Merino sheep statue indeed and great for a photo momento.

Man, this is one big concrete sheep. I think it's concrete; I confess I didn't go up and eyeball it or touch it. If it is concrete, it is actually a pretty darn impressive sculpture, not merely for it's size but also it's visage. It's... a merino. The gift shop underneath it's behind is stocked with woollen items galore. I am a hankie guy and needed hankies and they had none (I know, I know, you don't get woollen hankies, Paul, and I know this, I was just... hoping because they do sell cloth items). Friendly lady serving me while another shopper admired handbags.

Exactly what it was meant to be.... a big merino, in all areas.
Good photo opportunity, stopped in too early and souvenirs shop was not open... maybe next time

Famous for the big Marino and home of fine wool. For a beautiful panorama of Goulburn, head to the tower lookout at the Rocky Hill War Memorial and Museum.
A highly recommended stop point if travelling from South to North or North to South. Great township with great food, views, friendly people and a place to make or remember fondest memories.

My partner and I really struck the jackpot, what a beautiful day, no winds, blue skies, calm seas and a happy crowd. Dolphins would be the bonus. The vessel was roomy and had great seating and viewing areas and was very comfortable as we started our search for Dolphins. The cruising was great very relaxing, after about an hour we found a pod of dolphins and again we were blessed. A large pod had mustered up a huge school of fish and as the fish boiled the water surface dolphins took their turns at getting their fill. We stayed and watched for a while and then started heading for Huskisson harbour, our vessel was quickly escorted by several dolphins for ages, a pleasure to watch. Even our puppies were able to join us for the outing. Good value for money, the other cruises also look fun.

We did the 2 hour bay passage tour, smaller crowd but so much more to see and learn about around the whole bay. We went in afternoon and even with a a bit of swell, the smaller boat was able to venture into the smaller beaches and hidden bays all the way around to the Navy base. Dean and Jack were relaxed, professional and informative. We saw a huge pod of dolphins without having to compete for space around the boat aswell. Not sure its for smaller kids as they might get bored easily not appreciating the landscape and being on the confined surroundings for 2 hours. Glad we chose to do this cruise instead of the huge crowded dolphin one. Take a bottle of water to quench your thirst and the undercover is brilliant to still feel the sea spray on your face.

Great adventure and such adrenaline rush. Wonderful and friendly crew. The captain was great and all other staffs. You enter with your booking details and it’s pram friendly as well since we had an infant with us. Some food options too but food will be the last thing in your mind while on sea. Great facilities if you feel sick and ample number of life jackets. Sadly for us, the sea was very rough that day and we couldn’t find any whales. The captain couldn’t risk to go further into the sea. Great experience with no result but will definitely go back with the team❤️

Went for the whale watching with my 5 yr old. Saw about 10 different whales, got a bonus couple of seals on the way back. Remember your beanie and sunglasses! It gets very cold once you're out of the bay! Great commentary from the skipper for the day too!

AMAZING !!!!!!!
From start to Finish just superb
Was a very windy day but staff were very reassuring and cared for us
Winter time and we seen 8 whales
2 close enough for pictures but honestly you need to watch with your eyes not through your camera lenses.
Ride back was fab!!!
Assured us we were safe so we stayed in top deck and was magical….
Sea spray, riding with the waves, literally so much fun

Oh my goodness! Excellent experience in everyway on our whale watching cruise.
We saw 4 whales, dolphins & a random seal. We were a family of 5. With kids 10 y.o; 3 y.o and 4 months. It was a very large boat with places to sit inside in the shade and two levels to sit on up top. Bring a hat for all! Also Recommended taking a baby carrier for little ones; so your hands are free to help you move around the boat.
The staff are absolutely amazing. Kristy is a legend and so was our skipper of the day. All lovely people. Can even enjoy a beer on the boat.

High quality dolphin watch cruise and drift netting experience 🐬. This cruise offered breathtaking views of the Jervis Bay coastline and we were lucky enough to have many dolphins join us during the cruise. The drift netting was fun and something I'd strongly recommend to complete your Jervis Bay Wild experience 🙂

Enjoyed our afternoon out on the water.
Friendly and cheerful tour guide/captain who shared some tidbits about both whales and dolphins and managed to find a couple of each for us to appreciate out in the open water.
Took us back in along the shore line and pointed out afew of the local beaches and shared some local knowledge as well in regards to the area.
My only regret was not being quick enough to capture the wildlife in film.
Thank you for the experience 😊

It was an amazing experience, hands down one of the best things I've done. Our viewing was severely restricted due to an ongoing naval exercise in the area, however the effort and passion of the captain & crews were amazing and in the end we did manage to see some Whales.
The captain even exceeded the tour timing just so that we could see the whales longer, since the whales only came out nearing the end while we were heading back. We were all really appreciative of his gesture.
On top of that, the captain's commentary is really funny and he has a great sense of humour. We were enjoying the boat ride thanks to him even though the first part was wet and gloomy due to the weather and not being able to see any whales.

Booked a Whale cruise (knowing that it was the end of the season and we might not see any). The Skipper Greg and his team were great. It was a lovely cruise around Point Perpendicular with amazing cliffs and caves. We just had a great time and would recommend.

The tour was perfectly paced, giving us ample time to soak in the stunning scenery without feeling rushed. Speaking of the captain, his infectious humor kept the entire boat entertained throughout the journey. His jokes were a delightful mix of clever observations and classic dad jokes. Kids were absolutely thrilled with out unexpected encounter with a pod of dolphins. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Jervis Bay!

Excellent whale watch cruise. Also saw dolphins up close. Largish boat, super clean and well set out. Great for viewing. Lovely crew did everything possible to make it a good day.
One important thing - this boat is ACCESSIBLE.

We went to the passage tour as it is not a whale season ATM. This tour is a smaller group than dolphins and whale watching tour but it was nice and not crowded. The captain and crew were friendly and professional. We get so close to see cliffface and beautiful beaches. Gave us a pretty good Idea which beach we should go to visit on the next day.

Exceptional service, great crew and captain, highly recommend.
You will be warned that sightings are not guaranteed, but still worth the risk to cruise the bay and learn about the surroundings.
Thanks again crew, our family had a great time 😎

Chill weekend place. Better go with family time watch dolphins and boom netting. Boom netting is just for 10/15min, and rest we watch Dolphins and enjoy dolphins cruiser

Hidden adventure here for older kids!
Turned up after reading the reviews expecting a nice time but less excitement with teens.
However there are two "walks" that are much more adventurous than a paved path as you climb up through rock crevices, into caves, up and down ladders and it was great! Although not animal related it is a great extra to this entry. Definitely come wearing good shoes. Everyone loved it. Not suitable for small kids so perhaps why this hadn't been mentioned in other reviews.
The zookeeper chats were all fun and we all enjoyed getting to touch various animals.
Really worth a visit.

Came here with all my Niece's & nephew's during the school Holidays. Loved the Reptile show & Lion show they had. You can purchase animal feed to feed the animals they have here. Loved interacting with the animals & not bad pricing as well. I think I paid $30 something for entry & didn't regret it at all.

Amazing!! My son and I loved it. The instructors Ella and Joe were great and so friendly and helpful. They made my son, who was a bit wary of heights (9 years old) feel so at ease and completed stages of the course I don't think he would have if they weren't there. Check in was so easy as well as we had booked online. We will definitely be going again.

Lovely family zoo. Make the effort to attend one of the animal shows so you get an opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the animals.....touch, hold and even have personal photos with the animals for $10 each animal or $30 for photos with 4 different animals. We had family photos with a baby alligator, koala, python snake and a small possum.

We were so lucky to find this place. No one around us knew this place and I wasn’t so sure about it. It was amazing!
Not too big and not too small for my kids, the age btw 5 and 10yo. The entry fee was reasonable plus we were able to use discovery vouchers. Some of parts were under construction but still a lot to see. It will be even more fun for tree top adventurers.

I loved that unlike other zoos this one is not over crowded, a vast number of animals and a beautiful location next to the lake.
The place itself needs a bit of pampering, but the animals seem very happy and well looked after.
All the staff was friendly and the reptile show was educative and fun.

What a great Zoo. Such beautiful surroundings for the many animals. Wonderful koala, snake and lizard encounter. But make sure you take plenty of $1 coins to feed the tiny monkeys a nut. The zoo is situated in a very beautiful and natural setting. The adventure park next door looks fantastic. We had a great time here.

Great zoo with friendly and informative staff, easy to get around and lots of interesting animals. Particularly loved the lions, the monkeys (And the option to feed them a nut through the little dispenser) and watching them crack it open, as well as the petting zoo (baby bunnies) and the meerkats.
We were fortunate enough to see the keepers feeding, cleaning and interacting with the animals. All the animals appeared to be relaxed, clean and well cared for with big open spaces. The kids had an amazing time.

Great cricket museum, wonderful tribute to D Bradman. Loved the "Greats" portraits, however was very disappointed with the way they were displayed. I'm a cricket fan and love the history of cricket. This museum was amazing. It exceeded my expectations. Next time I will spend 3 hours here and read everything that was accompanying the displays. It was an epic feeling to look at the actual bat Bradman used to make his first century against England. They had a ton of memorabilia from important cricket events. It was just so enjoyable.
The staff members were lovely. They are cricket fans as well and you can enjoy a nice chat with them.

This popular blowhole along the coastline at Kiama Harbour can spray water up to 25m in the air.
This place is a common tourist attraction in south coast due to its historical background.
The local council in Kiama is doing a great job to maintain the beauty and cleanliness of the environment in this area.
I visited this place many times bringing relatives and friends from overseas.
The blowhole is a unique type of natural phenomenon that only the gravitical science can explain.
Its beautiful to watch during high tide.
If you are new to Sydney, don’t miss to visit Kiama lighthouse.

What a lovely spot. The blow hole is here too. You can see all up and down the coast from here. There are toilets, really good visitor centre with souvenirs and a cafe. I was here in off peak so wasn’t busy but imagine it would be in the holiday season.

A beautiful scenic spot with a fabulous lighthouse and the added bonus of a famous blow hole!
The views from Kiama lighthouse are truly breathtaking, and they get even better if you're lucky enough to be there for sunset. You'll also see whales depending on the time of year (though you'll need binoculars).
There is loads of green space to sit on, as well as countless rock areas to crawl around and explore, and numerous benches to sit.
The blowhole is fun, but not that much of an attraction unless you're lucky enough to be there on a day where the sea is rough and active enough to get it off big and often. All of the areas around the blowhole are fenced off for safety reasons.
There is loads of parking available for free, which is a huge plus.

I visited here on a weekday during the school holidays. It's a tourist spot. Parking is always full, but the wait time isn't that long to get a spot. There is plenty of green space too if you want to enjoy a picnic with spectacular views. There are toilets and a couple of places to grab something to eat. All within walking distance. The blowhole was shy the time I went, but from the previous times, it always puts on a show. Go on the rocks at your own risk.

A must see. Kiama is well worth the trip from Sydney. Very windy at the headland but the walkway to the blowhole and around the lighthouse is very well maintained. The lighthouse is quite small and closed. If you are an avid lighthouse chaser it is worth a visit.
There are facilities and a kiosk close by and some parking.
As part of a visit to the town and blow hole it is a. Nice addition.

Such a beauty, the surrounding area was. With the backdrop of the deep blue green ocean, the lighthouse stands like a royal sentinel, draped in white, guarding the ocean and its majestic expanse of sky

It was a little bit disappointing that I visited during a drizzling day and couldn't see the beautiful view of Kiama Lighthouse area properly.
Centered around the lighthouse, the waves on both sides of the beach and the beautiful trees were spectacular.
Moreover, the waves coming from the blowhole were beyond imagination.
Parking is easy and there is a restroom at entrance.

We didn't originally intend to stop here. It was on our travel planner as a "if you have time, try and see this sight". However, I am so glad we went 8 minutes out of way from the highway, and would highly recommend stopping here. The views were incredible and, unlike many lookouts, there were several points and heaps of space from which to enjoy the view. Even though it was super busy when we went there, at no point did it feel crowded. The blowhole itself was also fantastically entertaining, and honestly really consistent! If you're really wanting to get that picture-perfect photo or slowmo video, you really only have to wait every 7-10 swells for a big one to come along.
While we didn't partake in these, there were heaps of walking tracks and picnic spots if you have time for a longer stop. And the main street we drove down to get to the lookout was bustling with parks and cafes and shops.
There was also a cafe at the top of the hill right near the lighthouse, and the public toilets there were some of the most clean and well-kept I've ever seen. Perfect if you need a moment on a long journey.
Highly recommended, and would absolutely tell friends and go back myself.

There is also a gallery and coffee shop across the walkway over the expressway with some nice areas to have a break.
Large landscaped grounds and pond.

A truely peaceful and relaxing place to visit. Beautiful architecture and manicured gardens with numerous sculptures to gaze upon.
The whole experience was very serene and calming.
It was a great place to explore and I left feeling a sense of inner peace.
There is also a gift shop and food area which I recommend too.
I really wish I had visited sooner.

The temple is maintained spotless. Had various areas on the temple to visit and the whole tour takes about 1 - 1.5 hours. You can also go to the top of the hill and ring the bell! As a Buddhist myself, I found it very calming and just like the temples back home.

Beautiful Temple!
Helpful team to answer questions on making offerings and rituals.
We took fruit that we washed and made offerings, we were told we can either leave or take to eat for blessings. We decided to eat as snacks while enjoying a walk through the gardens.
You can also purchase small gift sets of offerings to take home. Personally we loved the bracelets and the water in the sets, there was also some rice grains we will cook and eat.
Must visit this beautiful Temple, allow time as it can get busy on weekends.

This Buddhist temple complex in Berkeley is a serene and culturally rich place to visit. It has beautiful Chinese-inspired architecture with a palace, a museum, and prayer halls. The Japanese-style gardens are a lovely addition, and there's also the Nan Tien Institute of Higher Education on the premises.
If you're looking for a bite to eat, there's a Chinese cafe that serves traditional food. Don't miss trying their avocado drink; it's a unique treat.
This complex offers a peaceful and clean environment, making it a perfect spot for relaxation and contemplation. Just remember to dress appropriately as it's a religious place. It's a great destination for a meaningful and peaceful visit. 🌳☸️🏯

Great place to be, it's what you expected. The food are really good, if you're vegan or vegetarian, the choices will make you go crazy!! Highly recommended. Having said that, it's 4 stars instead of 5 because the quality of the services at restaurants are not great. They can't even tell what ingredients in the food. If you tell them your kids have allergies in certain food (for example peanut), their response was simply "it's best you don't have ANY of their food". This actually happened last week. One of the stall staff during the lunar new year event even just says, "if you're having Asian food, you should expect peanut in it!", which I also strongly disagreed. Anyway, hopefully there'll be improvement in the future.

Serene and well maintained temple in Wollongong. Plenty of parking lots available. Long stairs near the parking lot leads to the pagoda tower, there's a huge Gratitude bell at the back of the tower that one can be knock for luck. The main shrine has cafe at ground floor. There's university infront of the main shrine just a short walk across a bridge. There's also another cafe on the ground floor of the university.

Every time we come to visit it just makes you feel relaxed. The calligraphy drawing was fun and kids can get involved too.
Remember. This is a place of worship and alot of the temple and sculptures are sacred so have respect when walking around.
The little sayings from their master are great. Theyre hung up all around. And reading them just clicks with you sometimes
It's a beautiful place to visit. And there is alot to learn of you're willing to ask.

The largest Buddhist temple in Sydney. Found in the beautiful suburb of Wollongong, you'll find yourself in a place that promotes stillness and silence.
It's quite a large property you can roam freely on mindfulness. Visit the large pagoda where you can take calligraphy classes or make an offering to the Buddha. Walk up the grounds to the mindfulness bell and ring a sound for peace ✌🏾 nearby the Shakyamuni statue that sits above. Done at the Dew Drop Inn, eating light and refreshing vegetarian food full of love and flavors. All in all, be in the present moment and enjoy the surroundings, nature, and the presence of those you are with. Light and Aloha 🙏🏽🤙🏽

A must see... The whole place is so serene and the people are lovely. Word of warning if you wish to enter the temples, no thigh high skits or shorts that don't cover the knees. Also must wear closed toe shoes. Photos are not permitted inside the temple but the surrounding grounds are great for some beautiful pictures ...I bought a tea cup and some literature paraphernalia and my friend bought a partial tea set.. the latter can be cheap or expensive depending what you like but they have some beautiful pieces and teach you the art of tea ceremonies. I think they accept volunteers...maybe I'll see you there one day ...make a donation to support help support these lovely people

I have visited this Buddhist temple several times, with my most recent visit being yesterday ⛩️
I attended their cultural festival held on various days in December. It was a delightful experience!
The festival featured especially vegetarian food options 🍜, captivating performances—mostly traditional Chinese dance—and an opportunity to explore different parts of the precinct. This included the Chinese gardens, the gratitude bell, the calligraphy hall, and the pagoda, among others.
The temple is impeccably maintained, making it a joy to visit whether alone, with family, or with friends.

Echo Point Lookout, also known as Three Sisters, is a popular tourist attraction in the Blue Mountains. Despite being crowded, the view of the Three Sisters and Jamison Valley is breathtaking and definitely worth seeing. Recently upgraded and expanded, the lookout now offers more space for visitors to enjoy the panoramic scenery without having to wait long. If you plan on taking one of the suggested walks in this area, you may find that the crowds thin out by the time you return to Echo Point.
One of the most amazing views in Australia. Really well set out, lots of parking, local shops, clean public toilets, friendly atmosphere. There is a park and picnic tables and lots of families around. The area is very spacious and you get to see a clear view of some of Australian geological history. Really worth the trip. About 1hr 15mins from Sydney with new roads all the way. Do it

One of the quintessential Blue Mountains tourist attractions. With a few decent bush walking tracks dotted around this, it makes for a great day trip up from Sydney if you are into nature and bush walking. There a few cool eateries on the high street which is a 20 min walk away, however, there are a few options closer by. The train ride up from Sydney City takes about 2 hours and is quite a relaxed and picturesque ride in. Parking is also available near the spot although it does fill up pretty quick during the holidays. Scenic world is also near by.

An amazing place to visit in Blue mountains range.
There is a stunning view of the three sisters rocks from here.
Washrooms are available which are clean and comfortable.
There is a shop to buy souvenirs and some items like bee honey, information leaflets etc.
The souvenirs are bit expensive here. If you are a visitor, better buy them from Haymarket.

I recently visited Echo Point Lookout in the Blue Mountains, and I was absolutely captivated by the breathtaking scenery. The view of the Three Sisters is nothing short of spectacular, with the rock formations standing tall against the lush backdrop of the Blue Mountains. The sight is truly awe-inspiring.
One of the most remarkable aspects of Echo Point Lookout is the sense of calm it exudes. Standing there, gazing out at the vast expanse of nature, I felt a profound sense of tranquility wash over me. It's a place where you can escape the hustle and bustle of city life and immerse yourself in the serenity of the mountains.
The fresh mountain air at Echo Point is invigorating. It's a welcome respite from urban pollution, and you can't help but take deep, rejuvenating breaths as you take in the surroundings. Whether you're just enjoying the view, taking a leisurely stroll along the paths, or simply sitting and meditating, the air quality here is a reminder of the rejuvenating power of nature.
In summary, Echo Point Lookout in the Blue Mountains is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking amazing natural scenery, a calming atmosphere, and the opportunity to breathe in the freshest of mountain air. It's a place where you can connect with the beauty of the Australian wilderness and find a sense of peace that lingers long after you've left.

Great views! We arrived just in time before it started to get quite busy (around 10:45).
Easy access to a few different viewing platforms. The stairs to the three sisters were very narrow and busy, so we gave that a miss. Parking for an hour and a half was $12.60 (meters are card payment)
There were toilets and an information centre at the lookout too.

It is about a 20-30 minute walk from Katoomba station. Considering the time it takes to wait for the bus, I thought it would be faster to walk, so I went to Echo Point and Scenic World instead of taking the bus.
Echo Point was very beautiful and spectacular. It was the most amazing view I have ever seen and it was a great experience. I saw three rocks called the Three Sisters and there was a small rock next to them and I wondered if they were with their children.
There were a lot of people, but the view was clear and we were able to take pictures quickly. Very neat experience. Very nice.

After eventually getting parking it was great. The views awesome, although plenty of people there, so was very busy.
Be prepared to either park a fair way away from the site or try and snag a park closer. Maybe because it was New Years day it was busier than most days, but maybe it's like this all the time.
Parking is paid between 0800 - 1700 Mon to Sun, if you can find a spot. After 1700 then no charge.

I recently visited Echo Point in the Blue Mountains, and it was a mix of awe and frustration. The beauty of the Three Sisters rock formation was absolutely mesmerizing. The towering cliffs and stunning vistas left me in awe of nature's grandeur. 😍🏞️
However, the strong winds at Echo Point added a thrilling element to the visit. It was a crazy windy place, which made me appreciate the power and force of nature. It certainly added an adventurous twist to the experience! 💨🌬️
On the downside, parking at Echo Point proved to be quite challenging. The limited parking spaces and high demand made finding a spot a frustrating task. 😕 Moreover, I encountered angry neighbors who were quick to scream at anyone who parked poorly. This encounter with an angry Aussie left a negative impression and made it my least favorite visit to the area. 😔
Overall, Echo Point offers breathtaking views of the Three Sisters and showcases the awe-inspiring beauty of the Blue Mountains. The crazy windy conditions add a thrilling aspect, but the difficult parking situation and encounters with angry neighbors dampened my experience. Despite the challenges, the natural beauty remains a sight to behold, and it's worth a visit to witness the magnificence of the Three Sisters firsthand.

The sheer scale of the mountain range never fails to amaze. Consider visiting at sunset if you wish to have the Three Sisters illuminated (they will be in the shadows at sunrise). The lookout is well lit at night. The lookout itself has been recently renovated with improved accessibility ramps and more seating. There are a few vantage points to soak in the view, aside from the main lookout everyone will immediately flock to. Take the stairs/ramps down to explore other vantage points.
There is no entrance fee for this lookout or the walking trails that go from here. The only public toilets I saw were the portable toilets, but there must be others in the visitor info centre and foodcourt nearby.

Gorgeous views as usual. Be sure to check the weather before you go because as you can see I went once when it was cold and misty and you could barely see anything. Parking is VERY expensive if you park in the closest carpark so if you don't mind walking a little park further away. There's also not much to eat or drink around so having a bite at Leura is probably a better option.

Prince Henry Cliff Walk, Katoomba NSW 2780, Australia
The Three Sisters walk is a clifftop platform that provides views of three weathered sandstone peaks, which have cultural significance in Aboriginal folklore. This short trail begins at Echo Point Lookout and offers an epic experience. Along the way, visitors can admire metallic sculptures of local fauna such as a lyrebird, skink, and platypus. The descent down the Giant Stairway may be daunting but reaching Honeymoon Bridge to stand beside this legendary landmark makes it all worthwhile.
What a beautiful trail. The walkway is beautiful when the weather is nice, absolutely splendid views. There's enough paid parking. Clean public toilets and a small cafe.

The Three Sisters Walk in Katoomba, New South Wales, is an incredible experience that should not be missed by anyone visiting the Blue Mountains. The walk offers breathtaking views of the Three Sisters rock formations and the surrounding valleys, making it a popular destination for both locals and tourists.
The walk is well sign-posted and is suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels. It begins at the Echo Point lookout, where visitors can take in the stunning views of the Three Sisters and the Jamison Valley. The walk is approximately 1.5 km long and takes about an hour to complete, depending on how often you stop to take photos and enjoy the scenery. There are several lookout points along the way, providing an opportunity to rest and take in the panoramic views of the Blue Mountains.
The Three Sisters Walk is a great way to experience the natural beauty of the Blue Mountains and is suitable for families, couples, and solo travellers. Great place to visit the mountains for a short day trip. Plenty of paid parking near the location and unpaid one is at a little walking distance near the residential areas. Few food outlets nearby, but because of the tourist spot, it's obviously a little more expensive than the normal locations. If you want to save money, bring your own food or eat before reaching this destination. Avoid the school holidays period or the weekends if you prefer fewer people around the area.

It was a nice lookout. I'm from Arizona in the USA and vistas like this are a dime a dozen so I wasn't terribly impressed. The Three Sisters are a moderately interesting rock formation. Oh the view from top is amazing we have decided to walk all the way down and was amazing every stop we did you can spot different view and lots of wild animals like parrots 🦜 etc they have a cable car but you can’t buy one way ticket so when we walked down we had to walk back all the way or you have to pay both way ticket.
Also make sure you got planty of water and some snacks as while you start walking there won’t be nothing on the way. The water fountain is on the end of the walk.

Beautiful walk, about 3 hours of treckking from the three sisters lookout to Leura, a small and cute village where you can have lunch or dinner in a pub. The walk was amazing, the first 30minutes are plenty of stairs that, if you start it in the three sisters lookout, are in the way down. After that, you can walk through a nice forest with tall trees and you can feel you are in the bush, in the jungle. After finding some cascades and waterfalls you will need to go upstairs to go to the Leura village, with a first stop at the picnic area. Before that, you have the opportunity of having a swim or, at least, refresh your feet in one of the waterfalls. We ended the day in Alexandra pub, in the village of Leura, which has a train station to go back to Sydney and it is just 2hours away from the city. It was not busy at all during the walk even it was on Friday the 29th of March and it is public holiday, just a few people doing that trip. The train was so bust, though, with a lot of people with big backpacks to spend a few days. The scenic world is not worth it, too expensive for what it is.

The Three Sisters Walk offers a captivating journey through nature's beauty. The scenic trail unveils stunning landscapes, with each sister rock formation standing as a testament to time. The hike provides a perfect balance of challenge and serenity, making it an ideal experience for both seasoned hikers and casual adventurers. The panoramic views at the summit reward the effort, creating a memorable outing that lingers in the mind long after the trail is left behind.

Breathtaking view, the iconic blue shade over the ultra wide mountains was a joy to look at.

Amazing views of the whole blue mountain range including of course the 3 sisters, which just keeps getting better if you hike down to the bottom. Make sure you consider your hiking ability as the stairs are very steep - and after enjoying the hike down you'll have to hike back up again - lol. Make sure to take lots of water and some power bars. Your phone most likely wont work if you hike to the bottom. Highly recommended and will definitely return with friends when traveling in the Sydney region.

Venturing through the Blue Mountains on the Three Sisters walk was a breathtaking experience! The stunning views and lush surroundings made every step a true delight. Standing before the iconic rock formations was awe-inspiring, showcasing the beauty of nature at its finest. The well-maintained trail offered a perfect balance of challenge and serenity, with each lookout more mesmerizing than the last. A must-do for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. Our trip to the Blue Mountains and the Three Sisters walk left us in awe of the natural wonders that Australia has to offer. I think people of all fitness levels could do the walk, there are some parts of it with some steep stair descend, which would be hard on people with arthritic knees.

Very good view, but there are 1000s of people here all pushing to get a pic. There are other viewpoints which are great with NO bus/coach access which give you a better experience.

Just a fantastic short walk. Once you get below the 3 sisters not many tourists. We walked around to the scenic world train and gondola. The only disappointing thing is that the gondola ride up you cannot pay for a 1 way so they wanted $60 per person for the ride. Next time we will bring water and walk up. Raging Waters Sydney is a waterpark that offers a variety of rides, slides and attractions for all ages. The park is large and includes a lazy river with tubes, beach area and surfing area.
Great park for all the family. Food outlets offered the standard stuff IE hit dogs etc etc, but at reasonable prices.
Facilities all very clean with loads of staff making sure all was well. The day we went it was not that busy so ride waiting was short. Water rides for all the family.
I would recommend the park for any family for a great day out.
PS we had a group that had kids from 4 to 6 and they had a fantastic time .
Keith Allen — Google review
First time at Raging Waters an easy 40 min drive from the southern suburbs. We chose to go on the Easter long weekend which meant shorter wait times, excellent parking (which you pay for) and a great day! It felt like more slides than Jamberoo. The different towers were easy to locate and it was a short walking distance between each tower and each ride providing a good thrill! Great seating available at each tower to watch and wait for other family and friends and awesome grassed areas to chill at lunch. Staff were all friendly and helpful. With the 2 person rides you had to carry the tube up the stairs which was tricky but manageable. Some of the rides could do with some maintenance with leaks and rusted bracketing holding the pipe work which didn't help the nerves when walking up the stairs but all in all we all had a fantastic time and we'll probably return with a bigger group next time but wouldn't be keen to go in its peak season!

I’ve been to many water parks around the world and this one is beautiful. There are a lot of fun attractions and a decent size kids area. The wave pool is massive and the staff was very friendly!
If you’re have an odd number of people in your group or coming solo, be warned there are not a lot of slides where you can ride alone.

Excellent place for cycling and see the dam. During daylight savings it will close by 6.30 pm and non day light saving they close by 4.30 pm. Please plan accordingly. Very quite place not too much crowd when I visited. No noice very peaceful and also you feel bit cold compared to other place.

My first visit to this place and I think we picked a good day to do it. Smaller crowds due to an overcast day which kept the wait times down. Some of the rides need more staff as this will surely bring the wait times down on all rides. Food was the usual expensive fast fare but the cost for the unlimited slushys were my kids favourite. As we brought a season pass we will be back, so we will see how busy this place can get

Ride n slides were awesome.
Suitable for all ages.
Lockers are a little expensive.
Food outlets only accept credit card.
Staff are friendly.
Food was average at best. Bring your own food if possible.
Parking was included with the Platinum season pass.
Update: The park seems to be overun with young eshays now. Hopefully the park takes this seriously and puts on extra security to discourage anti-social behaviour.

Awesome place for kids and family, highly recommended.
A friend have a yearly pass for the whole family of 4 people so we just came along. It would be great if opening after school hours during week days so that kids can come here for little fun before doing their homework and dinner or just go for a swim but under the safety, staffing and costs to open.
My niece so much enjoy it, she had a fun time here coz in New Zealand (Auckland) doesn’t it. Great living in Oz land 🥰

It's reasonably priced for a theme park, the place is well-staffed and maintained for most of the part. There are lots of shades and areas for rest. Popular rides can have a long wait and the lack of proper shower facilities keeps it from being a five-star.

Fun day out for family of 4, especially for teens as plenty of large ride options. Great smaller versions for younger kids too. Tickets were $55 each (purchase online), then add family size locker $20 and parking $12 (no free parking options). We went on a cooler day (22°) in April school holidays and no waiting lines at all which was fantastic. Plenty of people wearing wetsuits, would do same next time. Note almost all rides need a minimum of 2 people. All rides have a mat or inflatable tube. Wave pool great. Approx 5 slides closed, but didn't make a difference to the day. Recommend you BYO food and water. Limited healthy onsite options. Easily filled a whole day from 10-4pm. Very friendly and helpful satff. Recommend a visit.

Big water theme park ... arrive early as the queues for some of the bigger rides can be long ... use your $25 NSW Dine & Discover pass towards the entry price here! Take your own food (non-fast food) as well! The big wave pool is fun for kids!

Fun time with the whole family especially with young kids. Splash and ride the water slides, catch waves and swim in pools. Plenty of car space. Two complaints I have is the long wait for the big rides and food prices but still a great theme park to visit.

Our family had an adventurous day at Raging Waters Sydney, filled with excitement and fun on the rides. The variety of attractions provided thrills for everyone. However, the crowded conditions were a bit challenging, limiting us to six rides in eight hours. Despite the crowds, the enjoyment we experienced on the rides made the trip worthwhile. Planning for a less busy day in the future might enhance the overall experience. Overall, a memorable day of family fun

Purchased season passes for summer and autumn school holiday. Went on a Saturday of school holiday for the first time at 10:30am. Got in within an hour. We brought our own food since I know their food is expensive. Showers have preset temperature. I'm fine with everything else. Our kids (7 and 9yo) love the place. We stayed there for nearly 7 hours.

The experience I had with my family was very disappointing to say the least. We paid $80 each to get in only to see each ride has a 1 hour waiting time minimum not too mention the 50 minute waiting time for food. The only way to enjoy your day is to spend an EXTRA $110 to get the fast pass, which still has a 25 minute waiting time. This is all due to the staff and their unorganised way of working and managing the lines, and can be easily fixed.

Great place to visit. Book a cabana if you go. It includes a fridge, tv including a safe for valuables. The food from the restaurant took about 1.5 hours. Order early or carry your own meals.

We had a wonderful experience at raging waters with our four-year-old. The facilities were really clean, and the staff were very attentive on every single ride. There was a lot of different activities for kids of all ages, and the pricing was very affordable. The raging waters. Junior area was amazing. The only thing we would like to have seen is the staff at the ice cream parlour wearing gloves, and adding the spoon in manually, instead of having to put our hands Into a communal spoon basket for hygiene reasons. Apart from that, the lockers were very affordable at $12 for the standard size, and we truly appreciated the post Covid cashless payment system at all outlets.

A poor man's version of Wet and Wild or Jamberoo on a rich man's salary.
After paying Adult price for my 9 year old son because he's over 110cm we had the privilege of paying for parking also, because heaven forbid you get to park for free; this is Sydney.
After parking up in the derelict smack head car park complete with used nappies, litter and god knows what else, we entered the park at 10:00 on an overcast and quiet January morning.
Another $20 for a locker and we hit the rides. Four slides in and my son and I hit the lacklustre wave pool where we bobbed up and down in 1m of water for 2 minutes before getting out to figure what next?
We had a Cheeseburger combo each which made us feel nauseous as we watched a cleaner scoop up someone elses partially digested combo meal and decided to call it a day by 12:30.
If you can't get to a beach, try a swimming pool or the Penrith Beach. The slides are all pretty much the same. If you can afford to go here, you can afford better. Save your money.
Matthew Lees — Google review
I worked at raging waters last season in food and beverage so I can assure right now the best time to go is away from the January school holiday due to the immense amount of people who want to cool down in summer, I'd recommend going further towards narch or April if you aren't willing to buy fast track which again from a personal point of view is very expensive. Food is also really expensive in general and even with discounts sure it's cheaper but it's still not the cheapest. But with no other alternatives and when fresh the food is very good in the park. Rides in the summer time have unfathomably long lines which is again why I'd choose to go later in the season but the slides are fun to go down. I'd definitely recommend going there but I'd try to go at a time with maybe a little drizzle and further from summer.
Featherdale Wildlife Park is known for its koalas, as well as other Australian native wildlife. The park is located in inner Western Sydney and takes 45 minutes to reach from Sydney.
Very nice place to go for a walk and enjoy the nature with the animals. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I also enjoyed the different varieties of animals at this location. Featherdale Sydney wildlife park has a lot of different and unique animals. Upon entering it is possible to purchase some food for the animals and throughout the park it is possible to feed wallabies and kangaroos. I would recommend arriving at the park at opening time as this is when the animals are most active and eager for food. On the website it is possible to book wildlife encounters which is definitely recommended if you want a private and hands on experience with the different animals. The staff are friendly and informative. Throughout the day they also have feedings where staff will talk about the different animals whilst feeding them. It is a great wildlife park to visit.

This is one of my FAVOURITE places in Sydney. I am so lucky to live locally. The animals are well cared for and the opportunities to get involved with some of the animals is amazing.
It is not a huge park which works well for me and the kids. The layout is nice and easy to get around and you can be sure that you will not miss anything as you walk around.
I brought my 18 month old son for the first time and he was over the moon. The animals are great with smaller children and were very gentle when feeding out of my sons feeding cup.
I highly recommend visiting Featherdale if you ever get the chance to do so.

We had fun going here. It's not a huge wildlife sanctuary compare to others, which is good for those who don't want to get tired walking.
The best part was our close encounter with the kangaroos and koalas! You will be able to feed the kangaroos and touch them as long as you want. Except for the koalas, you need to pay extra fee to touch them... but you will be able to see them up close too.

My recent visit to Featherdale Wildlife Zoo was an absolute delight, exceeding all expectations and earning a well-deserved five-star rating. This wildlife sanctuary provided a truly immersive and unforgettable experience.
Feather dale Wildlife Zoo boasts an impressive range of Australian animals, giving visitors a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the country's most fascinating creatures. From kangaroos and koalas to crocodiles and Tasmanian devils, the diversity of wildlife at Featherdale is truly remarkable.
The enclosures at Featherdale were thoughtfully designed, allowing the animals to thrive in naturalistic environments. It was heartwarming to witness the excellent care provided to each animal, and it was evident that their welfare was of utmost importance.
The highlight of my visit was the opportunity to encounter and interact with some of the animals firsthand. Feeding the kangaroos was an incredible experience. The chance to have a close encounter with native reptiles left me with unforgettable memories.
Featherdale Wildlife Zoo also prioritizes visitor comfort and enjoyment. The layout of the zoo was well-planned, with clear signage and ample seating areas. Clean facilities and well-maintained paths added to the overall positive experience.

This is the place to go to in order to see, interact with, and experience animals endemic to Australia.
The park has open areas where kangaroos and wallabies are able to roam around, and you can feed them and run their fur or forehead. Entrance fees are reasonably priced, and they have animal food available for purchase at the entrance. It is amazing to see the animals up close and personal and to have them eat out of your hands. It is easy to navigate around the park and they have these little stamps you can use after seeing an animal to mark your ticket/passport.
Toilets were clean and the entire park itself is well-maintained.
Food can be brought inside the park, but they also have a cafe that can be found near the exit of the park.

A nice little wildlife park with a lot of Australian animals like Kangaroos, Wallabies, Wombats, Dingos etc. They have many birds, some snakes and reptiles also few farm animals such as cows and goats. The park itself is not too big so it's really easy to navigate around and have a good time without sweating. There are facilities such as toilets, hand washing station and a Cafe. You can enjoy this on your way to Blue Mountain.

For one, you can collect stamps here! For two, that's a serious lot of birds! Among them many are rarely seen in any other zoo in Sydney. I wish the website could say more about it. Definitely give it a go if you are a bird lover. Apart from birds, there were many koalas, reptiles, our familiar Australian mammals, and farm animals, too. The park is not huge, but the space is efficiently used, so you still need to walk a fair bit to see all the animals. Lastly, the cafe serves great burgers and chips. Overall a fantastic experience!

I’ve visited this place a few times now and have an annual membership and I always love visiting. The pelican feeding at 11am is always a treat to watch. My favourite animals to make sure I see each visit is one of their galahs who says “scratch scratch” and “whatchyou doing” while it bobs it’s head up and down and a gentle giant hen who always escapes the barnyard sea and free ranges all day long. There are two black cockatoos that always fly to their aviary fence to come say hi and demand scratches on their feet and head. Featherdale’s extensive range of native birds is absolutely incredible. I’m fortunate to live nearby and visit often as I can. It never gets boring. The staff that work there are always friendly and happy to answer your questions. The cafe also does the best hot chips (aka fries)

Busy but good.. you used to be able to take photos with the koalas as part of the entrance, now they charge extra and won't allow you to take a slightly different photo without charging double.. so a tad disappointing that they just keep milking as much money as possible.

The birds look a bit sad to be stuck in the cages but also healthy and well.

Not the best experience and very expensive ($40). There's not a lot to see, and what there is to see is behind layers of wired cages. Any photos you see that people took, it's almost certainly when their camera is positioned between the holes in the wire cages. Most of the animals are very far from view, and the only ones you can interact with are goats. There was one wombat and one kangaroo that was accessible, and people were so starving for entertainment, that everyone was gathered around it trying to feed it and touch it. I came here 14 years ago, and it was so fun. They had so many kangaroos walking around that you could walk right up to and feed, a huge tortoise eating carrots, dingo pups... everything seemed so accessible. But now it's seems like everything is super protected and very limited. A bird sleeping in a tree about 6 metres away from you and up high - yawn. My advice is... go nuts on wombats and kangaroos and flood the place with them. Let's face it, that's really what we want to see... they are entirely an Australian thing and fun to interact with.

This was by far my best experience while in Australia. It is one of the places about one hour drive from Sydney that you can feed and get close to a Koala. It is about 150 dollars to spend about 20 minutes in an enclosure. You need to make reservations in advance. The park itself was amazing too. You got to see lots of other cool animals and pet Kangaroos. It was small intimate place that was not crowded and just perfect. It was a must and I highly recommend a visit.

There’s a bunch of koalas around the park for you to encounter and many birds and owls are around too. There’s much more to see as well. A cafe is present and facilities are located around the park for ease. It’s best to visit around 11am when most of the animals start to come out. Fantastic experience!

I thought this place was fantastic, much better than the Sydney Zoo, for example. You can get close up to many of the animals, feed them from your hand, etc. And it wasn't overly crowded. There are plenty of trees to provide shade on warm/hot days. I loved walking around the different areas and easily seeing the wildlife that was there. I highly, highly recommend this place for seeing Australian (and other) wildlife, many that are there because they were injured and brought there.

Great for kids and adult. They have alot of birds, different species so perfect for bird lovers. I suppose that's obvious from the name Highlight was learning about the Koalas. They are the cutest awkwardly interesting laziest animal. You can get really close to the kangaroos and feed them. The Kangaroo feed is very affordable. Give yourself minimum 2hours to enjoy.
Adeshola Gbademosi — Google review
You can touch and take lots of photos with these beautiful creatures.
Buy a cup of popcorn at the counter for $4. Maybe 2. You can feed it to the kangaroos, which is very cool.
One tip: most people get stuck at the first few cages, go to the back of the farm, there are many kangaroos roaming around, feed them and take as many photos as you want. Most of the time, it is less crowded because everyone is at the front busy taking photos of the caged animals.

Definitely a visit, if you want to see Kangaroo, Koala, Wombat, Pelicans, Emu at once.
For those prefer to have a koala picture, here is the right place and strongly suggest you join some group tour to have lower price ticket plus koala photography. You can decide on spot whether you pay extra to have digital copy.
Zookeepers are very friendly, kangaroos every where stepping up and down around you.
