The Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk is a scenic path that takes you past beautiful beaches, cliffs and parks. It's a great way to spend an afternoon if you're looking for something different from the beachfronts.
One of best iconic coastal walks to do in Sydney whether you're a tourist or local..The starting point is in Bondi Beach near the Iceberg Dining Room and Bar.
It's one of my happy place to go to , just to relax and chill after a busy week at work. It's a relatively easy walk to do and do not require much fitness. However there are some sections with a slight incline and steps. This walk allows you to take a swim at a few beaches on the way, with toilet facilities at all beaches. Will take about 2 to 3 hours depending on your stops, but we did it in 1.5 hours.
Highly recommended

Highly, highly recommend this walk as it was the highlight of our trip to Sydney. On a beautiful day (72F), we took our time wondering the long trail and stopping at the various beaches of different sizes along the way. I'm not sure how long it would be if you just walked it straight, but we started at Coogee and ended at Bondi probably 2 and change hours later because we stopped to take pictures so many times.

Spectacular views at every corner along the 2 hours walk from Coogee to Bondi. I went two times during my recent stay in Sydney, once in the morning and once during sunset hours, both truly amazing.
Apart from the beautiful nature, it’s great to see how locals spend their free time here, surfing / fishing/ chilling on the beaches/ bbq / dog walking / family bonding … make me jealous : )
No doubt to say that Sydney is one of the best places to live in the world!

We started the coastal walk from Bondi at 7.30am. Fantastic views on this coastal walk. We went with three other families and kids. Kids enjoyed the walk. My 4 year old can't walk on up hill path so I had to carry him on my back. We had a coffee break in between at Bronte Beach. We finished at Coogee around 11am for Lunch. Overall it was a fantastic walk and I would love to come back.
Sathish N — Google review
Some really stunning views while walking on this trail. It seems long on paper but time really flies when you’re walking and taking in the view.
I would recommend starting the trail from coogee in the morning and reaching Bondi just in time for lunch there.
Ryan Adrian — Google review
Everytime we get guests come and stay with us, I always recommend they do this walk before leaving Sydney. It's a must. Lovely views, beautiful little bays and beaches along the way. Make sure you have a pair of good walking shoes as there are lots of steps up and down.
Helen Di Domenico — Google review
One of the things to do whilst in Sydney. The walk takes approximately 90 minutes to 2 hours, including photography and toilet stops (located at beaches along the way). It's a very scenic trail and not too difficult for young and old, although there are some steep steps along the way. You may get slightly wet from sea spray on blustery days.
Zeph — Google review
We went on a Sunday, started mid morning in Coogee and got to Bondi around noon. It was an easy enough trail and breathtaking! Parts of the trail are uneven and there are a lot of stairs. A few places were a tad narrow and passing people was a bit of a challenge. Overall it is a must do! The trails are fairly well marked and easy to follow the directions.
Bertina Donahue — Google review
Amazing! Highly recommend doing this if you’re able l. Beautiful views and scenery. It was not packed when we went, which was at the beginning of August. You get to see a lot, take in a nice walk, and meet great people. We received a recommendation from a local to go to Iceberg’s restaurant at the Bondi Beach end of the walk and we were SO glad we did it!

After numerous recommendations, my friends and I decided to embark on this coastal walk. It's a well-maintained and secure trail, suitable for all ages. The path is family-friendly and offers several water spots for a quick refill. The scenic views along the way are breathtaking, and we concluded our journey with a refreshing dip in the ocean at Coogee. The area also boasts fantastic restaurants where we enjoyed a delicious meal. We're already planning to do this walk again, and it's a definite must-experience!

We took the train and bus from Sydney to Coogee and enjoyed the walk from there to Bondi - absolutely beautiful route with lots of great beaches and views! We had our baby with us in a hiking carrier which was perfect - you can’t do the walk with a stroller. If you are in Sydney we would definitely recommend taking this walk!
Mette Wrang Andersen — Google review
Scenic walk and loads of places to stop in-between. We walked with our 8 year old and she enjoyed the dips in water too. Has steep steps to cover in the walk.
Priya — Google review
Incredible walk in the summer with ups and down. Walk goes through a cemetery that is in a very special place! Highly recommend the walk but does require you to be in good shape. Being by the coast also offers a really nice breeze so it doesn’t get too hot.
Chris V — Google review
Lovely way to explore the coast! We started at South Coogee and it took us about 3+ hours at a leisurely pace. We saw lotsa surfers catching the waves, day trippers and swimmers and bathers in the pools. There are soft serve and coffee trucks at the larger bays/beaches but plenty of drinking water and bathrooms all along the walk.
Shuwen Koh — Google review
Done this walk a handful of time and it’s stunning every time. Lots of places to stop along the way and enjoy the view and take breaks, even take dips along the smaller beaches.
I recommend starting early or in the evening to catch the sunset. It can get a bit busy on weekends along the path, but you meet some nice people and furry friends.
I appreciate how many toilets are available and changing spots if you’re changing into bathers. Also, water refill stations that are handy.
I did the walk in Birkenstocks and made it fine. If you’re jogging or going non-stop I would recommend some good shoes as there are some bits with gravel and hills.

THIS IS A MUST!! I only had 1.5 days of freedom during a work trip to Sydney from the states and so many locals recommended this walk and I can see why. Please prioritize this on your trip to Sydney. You don't need to be super active but it's about 3.5-4 miles and does have stairs. Great way to get steps in before a long flight and see some of the most breathtaking views.
Shannon Lamb — Google review
Breathtaking views. I normally walk in the daytime and the views are amazing as always.
Today, I went out in the evening and I could see the stars clearly and even the beautiful sunset rays. It was a great experience to walk in the evening but had to use the flashlight sometimes just to avoid any trips or falls as some of the areas do not provide light. I prefer doing the walk in the daytime but evening experience was kind of a good thing as well. Enjoy the spectacular views on the way, everyone!

Amazing coastal walk with great views. Paved path but just note that some parts are uphill. Need comfortable walking shoes
Sansho A — Google review
We took a bus to Bondi Beach Iceberg Club and began our walk to Coogee at 8am. It was a sunny day and sun was already hot. Wear lots of sunscreen and a hat. The view was spectacular just as others have said. This is a moderate hike so if the walker is in a decent fitness level, it should be fine. There are many steps up and down throughout the trail. Bring water bottles and there will be water stations to refill as well as lots of benches to sit, rest and enjoy the view. Highly recommend it.
Check out my review of Coogee Bay! Wow wow wow

A cliff top coastal walk, the Bondi to Coogee walk extends for six km in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. The walk features stunning views, beaches, parks, cliffs, bays and rock pools. The beaches and parks offer a place to rest, swim or a chance to eat at one of the cafes, hotels, restaurants or takeaways. Most beaches offer picnic shelters, play areas, kiosks, toilets and change-rooms, Tamarama, Bronte, Coogee and Maroubra have free electric barbecues. The Bondi to Coogee coastal walk is a medium grade urban walk but there are some steep gradient paths and several staircases along the track. There are rest stops with great views and seating along the coast. It takes about two hours to complete the Bondi to Coogee Beach section of the walk and another hour and a half if you choose to continue to Maroubra. Although an urban walk the Bondi to Coogee walk is open to the elements, please make sure you wear comfy shoes, bring a hat, sunglasses, sun screen, water and in colder weather wear appropriate clothing.

The Bondi Coastal Walk was truly awesome! Walking from Bondi to Coogee was one of the best activities I did in Sydney. It's amazing how people in Sydney can hit the beach in just 30 minutes from CBD!
Starting early in the morning was smart. With the sun behind us, walking was easier, and we didn't have to squint. The views were stunning, and it was super fun. I'll definitely come back!
After the walk we actually took the uber back to Bondi since we have cafes that we wanna visit.
Amanda — Google review
A great walk with great sites to see. Use google maps because the path the take changes and is not always well marked. The part of the path near Coogee is less crowded. The part of the path near Bondi is more crowded. There are a few shops with free toilets along the path. There are free stations to fill up your water bottles along the way.
Aaron — Google review
Highly recommend. Easy walk for all ages and covers a broad variety of the coastal landscape. Goes through some of the popular eastern suburbs beaches.
Bernard Shen — Google review
Nice walk. Won't take too long - 2 hours with decent pace. Plenty of interesting view points along the way and toilets at multiple stops. Ended at Coogee beach, which has many nice bars and restaurants. You can then easily take the bus back to the train station.

Fabulous walk, not too difficult for a healthy adult.. the views are spectacular and there are plenty of rest spots along the way. We caught bus from city to Coogee (20mins) & walked to Bondi well worth it..
Bondi has much charm and great coffee shops !

Nice walk! I have my 7 and 12 year kids also was with me. Plenty of places to fill water and toilets on the way. We started around 7am and finished by 9am.
The Powerhouse Museum, established in 1879, showcases cutting-edge displays on futurology, transportation, and ecology. Located in Ultimo, Sydney, this 21st-century museum emphasizes human innovation through technology and ideas. It actively engages with contemporary technologies and industries like science and sustainable technologies.
Highly recommended. A must to do in Sydney. You need 3-4 hours to explore all sections. The Industrial Revolution and Space sections are far beyond words. Specific section for children and all people interested in science to do some scientific funny experiments.A unique museum full of history and adventure. The Powerhouse Museum is the major branch of the Museum of Applied Arts & Sciences in Sydney. Located in Harris St with easy access via public transport. No admission fee with nice staff.

Really fun and interactive exhibits. Staff are super helpful and lovely. The Gucci exhibit was a great exhibit which provided an insight into various campaigns from the past- very interesting if you enjoy fashion. They have exhibits which help kids learn concepts and allow play. There are adequate amenities and cafes as well as a gift store. A very worthwhile visit especially since there is no admission fee.
Alfred Tao — Google review
There are some great sections, and then there are some not so much. Kids may enjoy the exhibits on space and old trams, trains. Entry is free, and there are school tours often here. Guidance on exhibits can be better, and a map with the recommended path can help. A nice experience for may be 2 hours. Interactive sections on science, space, and old steam engines will keep kids happy.
Prateek Shukla — Google review
We visited the Powerhouse Museum (Darling) on January 2, 2024. Because Sydney is a very walkable city, we walked there after we finished visiting another museum. This one in Darling is near Chinatown / Paddy Haymarket. The cost was free which made it even better! The museum was amazing. I loved the various exhibits with a focus on steam engines. It was fascinating how the use of steam powered so many things from a printing press, to a fire engine. They also had various instruments on exhibit as well. We met a wonderful employee that provided in-depth information. If you love technology from the past, you must visit! I also encourage anyone with children to visit too. They had a cool exhibit for the kids.

It has a lot to keep you amused especially if you are into engineering, science or art. Also good place for kids and food lovers. I am personally into engineering and enjoyed seeing how airplane and train engines work, my friends were into arts and culture and they had a good time too.
Reza Khademlou — Google review
Admission is free right now. They have a video introducing things in the museum and that was nice. The mini car section and steam engine sections were pretty cool.

Interesting stuff to see. Recommend to take kids to this place, they'll have fun and learn about how the technology evolved in the last century. There is a lego room which can keep kids entertained for sometime and take a break, also the experimental items are engaging and amusing. Could be a good plan for a weekend.

We visited the Power house Museum last January , we just walked from one museum to another. No entrance fee .
Highly recommended when visiting Sydney. It has memorable artifacts from Australian railroads space travel and many more. Lots of interesting displays.
Louie Temp — Google review
The powerhouse museum is worth visiting for the museum itself more than what it is showing. The way the exhibitions are presented is wonderful. The lighting, the separations, the sounds... everything has been very well thought of. However, after leaving the museum its hard to feel like you have learnt something valuable. Maybe I was hoping for a deeper meaning but I got to see a lot of beautiful things.
Nicolas Dahan — Google review
Kids will love it. So much for kids to learn and see and for free. Quite during weekdays. Can spend 2-3 hours here easily. Must visit while in Sydney if you have kids. Also a nice playground not far outside from the museum.
Mark S — Google review
Love love love this museum!! My kids had a blast experience here, they didn't want to leave!! So many things to see and try! Many cool science experiment displays, so much better than in Wollongong one. Even for us adults, it was a fun experience! The best part: it's free!!

Was here for the Gucci Garden Archetypes exhibition, and definitely appreciated all the hard work being put into the event. Very well thought through, very Instagrammable, and most importantly it was free. Too bad we didn't have time to roam around the many other parts of this large museum, but chanced upon some other interesting looking spaces for sure.

Sunday museum stroll was excellent!
Cant believe i have never been to Powerhouse for the last 5 years in Sydney!
Love the interactive experiences and as I used to be major in Physics in high school this is like a trip down to the memory lane 😅😆 the museum has a huge range of exhibitions we cant finish them all before the museum closed.
Might come back some other days

Went to the 1001 Remarkable Objects exhibition. What a fantastic free event.
Saw some very cool things, old, not so old and random items. Really enjoyed it.
Got to see some old planes and space travel things as well!

Stumbled across this museum on a walk. I had great fun exploring it. There are tonnes of interesting exhibits, including trains, fashion, furniture, planes, science, space, and music.
It is a great place to bring children.
Entry is free.
The museum is fully disability accessible. There are accessible toilets. There are wheelchairs for hire, but these are limited, so it is best to call in advance.
Jenny Clate — Google review
It's amazing display of a museum.
So many things to see from its different eras of products.
There are four levels of buildings to see. Don't worry, they provide escalators and lifts!
Toilets and shop including cafe (try their orange cake!)
To visit this museum by bus 501 from Central or just walk from Chinatown (paddy's market).
Note : come now before they will renovate it on next February.
Free of charge.

This was a really great day visiting Powerhouse Museum. It has a wonderful range of artifacts ranging from Movie Memorabilia, Space Travel Memorabilia and Australian Railroads Memorabilia to so much more. I found it so interesting and couldn’t recommend enough.

Visited the Powerhouse Museum for the first time on Sunday. Definitely worth a visit. There is plenty to look at and such a range of displays to suit a wide variety of interests. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. There is a gift shop and cafe there also.

A must see before they close for a 3year renovation as of Feb 2024! An AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL experience with something for EVERYONE! Electricity, steam power, space, fashion, history and PRIDE! Clean, beautifully presented exhibitions, fully accessible, lots of quiet low light areas too if your from a Nuro-Spicey family. We were lucky enough to see the volunteer steam engine master come in and start up all the steam powered equipment. He even stopped to chat to us after as we were following him around quietly in awe of how he went about starting each machine. A fine art these days! Absolutely a must see if you are in Sydney and entry was free at the time we went too.
Meg Joynateous — Google review
It’s a free activity so you can only gain by coming here.
Plenty to see for everyone from fashion and LGBT to the original train and trams.
The 1001 items exhibit in the heart of the building was my personal favourite. Lots of connected rooms with different colours and themes based on the random trinkets on display
‘Twas a rainy day when we went so this was great to hide in for a few hours.
Hayden — Google review
Just a few minutes walk from light rail station. The staff at the entrance was nice and reminded you to get the map from the table.
The locomotives displayed on level 3 (Exit/Entrance ) are very eye-catching. Let's know the history of transportation in NSW.
The Space section is also interesting, especially the feeling of zero gravity and driving a rocket.
The experiment section is good for kids to experience science.
There is also a large area for displaying historical relics and contemporary art where more staff stand by. They can answer your questions about the exhibits. It does not display the exhibits chronologically.
I'm not sure about the theme of this museum. It also displays drag queen and fashion.
Sze Mei NG — Google review
Very nice museum to visit with amazing collections. I was getting there to see the famous PBY Catalina aircraft, but I was delighted by the other collections, and especially, as an engineer, by the scientific discovery of electricity, magnetism, gravity etc… Nice
-> Please note that the Museum has recently (Feb24) moved to Paramatta.
White Rabbit Gallery is an expansive art space in the heart of Sydney, Australia, showcasing a remarkable collection of contemporary Chinese artwork. This sizeable gallery also features a charming teahouse on its ground floor, where visitors can indulge in delicious snacks while appreciating the exhibits. Situated conveniently near Central Station, this private gallery was once a Rolls-Royce showroom and now houses artworks from the renowned White Rabbit Collection.
It's a place where you can realize how many great artists there are in China.
An art museum that entertains the eyes and ears with unique works every season.
It's not as big as I thought, but it's a variety of art exhibitions in each section that are organized in a variety of ways.
Personally, I really like and cherish this place.

A museum with a lot to discover. You will find paintings, videos, objects and other kind of arts that are all Chinese. The entrance is free and there is a small shop and a cafe too. If you like art and Chinese culture it is a must to visit I will definitely recommend this museum. On the last floor the video about sculpting a man in clay was really good. A great visit 😊

Always a great gallery that offers amazing exhibits to check out. Love the exhibitions as they always have a variety of artworks to feel inspired from. I especially like the interactive ones. It is very family friendly and has a lift to take you to each floor if you don’t feel like walking.
Free entry and no time limit. Would highly recommend in Sydney. Enjoy!

Great art gallery specialising in Chinese art! Exhibits change every quarter or so and there’s always something interesting to see and learn.
The scones and dumplings are a nice treat in the tea house / cafe :)

My favourite gallery in all of Sydney. I absolutely adore the Asian art culture that this gallery sheds light on. It gives a voice to existing and emerging Asian artists to speak openly and freely about matters they feel need greater awareness. I also love how they change the exhibit every so often to showcase different artist works. I go every single time there is a new one and love it every time.

This gallery has one of the largest (the largest?) collections of Chinese contemporary art in the southern hemisphere. The building is a repurposed industrial warehouse and is the perfect redesign for a gallery with high ceilings and large exhibition spaces. There is a lift going to 3 of the 4 floors. On the ground floor is the reception and shop. Also a dumpling restaurant which has a wonderful selection of food and teas. The exhibition changes several times a year and there are guided tours. All of this is totally free!! The current exhibition is astonishing. A must for art lovers and dumpling lovers.

Really cool gallery. I was pleasantly surprised, as I went there not having done any read up or knowing anything about the gallery.
I am not art fanatic, but the pieces in this gallery were beautiful. Really something people should see.
Highly recommend checking it out - there’s also a cafe at the entrance, which looked cool also.
David N — Google review
I have visited this gallery several times as I live nearby.
The art displayed is very good sculpture , paintings , photographs , and at one viewing, a replica house on display.
However I have complaints too. I actually asked if I could submit some work for the gallery and was given an email to apply to. By the way I am Western and might not meet the criteria, but my children are half Chinese! Also the subject matter was In Asia and I had displayed at many galleries in Phnom Penh. The art also had some politics to it as in preserving architecture. I would have been happy with 'Sorry the work is not up to standard or we are booked until 2080 ,or you are not an Asian artist in Asia.' But I was ignored. I felt this is rude as after all this is an art gallery and there may be many potential artists out there like me.
My other complaint is about the staff. And I have just read a review by someone with the same complaint ( I thought I may have been oversensitive) There are staff in the gallery dressed up in the kind of uniform of ethnic hill tribes in the mountains of China, Laos , Thailand , and Vietnam. There are a lot of them. When I viewed the house I noticed the outside of the house was made of hessian sacking. And I touched it with my finger.( It was probably from Bunnings and pretty hardy). Immediately I was told off and embarrassed as it was crowded and I was made to feel like a naughty school boy.
Today I went upstairs to the top floor and was looking at a display (not touching) and was told to more or less get out. I actually do not know what I was doing wrong. I turned on my heels and just walked straight out of the White Rabbit gallery. Again made to feel embarrassed.
I am not going to carve my name on the cute railway seat on floor 2. I am not going to glue myself to a painting in protest. This art is good but it is not priceless. THis is not overcrowded Paris or Venice. I am sure all the customers are very well behaved. Better behaved than the hill tribe guards I am sure.

One of my favourite place in Sydney! Make sure to pay a visit if you are around and have some time to spare. The tearoom is beautiful and we love spending time at the souvenir shop.

A wonderful and thought provoking gallery that continually provides a platform for conversation about social issues. The exhibits change periodically and the current exhibit in September has a lot of young Asian artists. The staff are really helpful, there are adequate toilets on every level and lifts as well as stairs for easy access. There is a small cafe as well which has an interesting ceiling art. Free to enter which is also great

The White Rabbit Gallery in the Chippendale district of central Sydney is a small museum that specializes in exhibiting works of artists of Chinese and Taiwanese origins. Art might not need to be categorized by nationality, but this specialization offers a different perspective of modern art that is created by so-called Western artists.
Georges Younes — Google review
A small gallery with 3 floors. Interesting exhibitions and there is a teahouse on the ground floor.
Free entry. There is lift access to each floor and the toilets are well maintained.

Nestled in the heart of Sydney, the White Rabbit Gallery is a cultural gem that promises an immersive journey into contemporary Chinese art. As an avid enthusiast of art and culinary delights, I recently had the pleasure of visiting this remarkable establishment, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations.
From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted by a sense of tranquility and sophistication. The minimalist yet inviting interior design provided the perfect backdrop for the stunning artworks adorning the walls. What's even better? The gallery offers free entry, making it accessible to all, which is a testament to their commitment to fostering a love for art in the community.
One of the highlights of my visit was the opportunity to indulge in some of the finest Chinese tea at the gallery's restaurant. Served with grace and precision, each sip transported me to the serene tea houses of China, evoking a sense of cultural appreciation and mindfulness. The staff's knowledge and passion for tea were evident, adding an extra layer of depth to the experience.
But the culinary journey didn't stop there. The restaurant also boasts a delectable selection of dumplings that left my taste buds dancing with joy. From traditional classics to innovative twists, every dumpling was a work of art in itself, showcasing the culinary mastery of the chefs. Pairing these delightful morsels with the exquisite teas elevated the dining experience to new heights, creating a symphony of flavors that lingered long after the last bite.
What truly sets White Rabbit Gallery apart is its dedication to showcasing cutting-edge contemporary Chinese art. The carefully curated exhibitions offer a thought-provoking glimpse into the rich tapestry of Chinese culture, exploring themes ranging from tradition to modernity with nuance and depth. Each artwork tells a story, sparking conversations and inviting introspection, making it a must-visit destination for art enthusiasts and novices alike.
Moreover, the gallery's commitment to fostering dialogue and understanding between cultures is commendable. Through its diverse program of events, workshops, and lectures, White Rabbit Gallery serves as a catalyst for cross-cultural exchange, bridging the gap between East and West in a world that is becoming increasingly interconnected.
In conclusion, my experience at White Rabbit Gallery was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was enveloped in a world of beauty, culture, and culinary delights. Whether you're a seasoned art connoisseur or simply looking for an enriching cultural experience, I wholeheartedly recommend paying a visit to this hidden gem in the heart of Sydney. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

White Rabbit Gallery is a very accessible collection of contemporary Chinese art. The exhibition changes so it may not be the same for your visit. The accompanying audio explanations for various artworks were great. BYO headphones.
The space is good for those who want low sensory. Each level is dark and sound is well absorbed by the carpet. There is a lift to each level and the gallery is medium in size.
Admission is free.

The location of the art gallery is easy to find. There are street carparks but also nearby parking if you don't mind the walk. The gallery itself is relatively small which makes going around it easy to go explore. Their staff are very welcoming and accommodating. They have a cafe but there are also restaurants around the area. I'd say the flow of how the artworks were organised were carefully thought of too. It was a good experience 👍🏻

From the outside the service and atmosphere was very homely and welcoming, you just feel really comfortable. As if you were having dinner at a mates house.
The food was to a great standard and good value for money. We ordered the Octopus and Goat cheese souffle to start (pictured) and the steak and duck confit for main. Everything was top class.
Drink wise, It's both licensed and BYO. Wine list is reasonably priced and BYO is $5 a bottle which is a small price to ensure you have your favourite bottle of plonk on hand. They'll bring you a snazzy side table ice bucket for white and sparkling which we thought was a lovely touch.
Will be back again for sure 😊

I love the feel of this restaurant . you're always made to feel very welcome. It's lovely to have a restaurant on King St that consistently serves quality dishes in a slightly French style bistro atmosphere.
Linda's has a wonderful menu that caters to all tastes. Extremely good value for the quality of food you receive. If you haven't already dined here, definitely give it a try. You'll be happy you did.

Went for a work function not expecting a lot and was blown away by the food. Superbly cooked, superb flavours. I'm a huge foodie so this was a really pleasant surprise. The beef cheek was mind blowing!

We are so happy we have found Linda's On King Street! We have been to this restaurant for years and we stop going since Covid19 when the restaurant moved further to King Street South we didn't know we thought Linda close the business. Fortunately, we found Linda again and we enjoyed our dinner like we always do. The restaurant looks very nice the service is good and the foods are very nice and tasty. 👍😊🍷

Had a great dinner (in good company) here the other night. It was so good I forgot to take my customary photos. The welcome was warm, it's a simple but tastefully decorated room. The food was well presented and tasted fabulous. The fish pie is certainly worth the visit. The entree of smoked trout pate had set me up nicely.
There's a small but excellent wine list and they also do wines by the glass. The price was agreeable, to say the least.

As a South Newtown local since 1995 I've been a big fan of Linda's on King and am thrilled they are now near Alice St so an even shorter walk to a great dining experience and an excellent vodka martini.

Koala Park Sanctuary in West Pennant Hills, Sydney is a privately owned 10-acre park that houses various Australian animals such as koalas, kangaroos, wombats, reptiles, dingos, and native birds. It was established by Noel Burnet in the 1930s to protect koalas from being used for fur trading. The sanctuary boasts of a lush rainforest environment with Eucalyptus groves for the animals to thrive in.
Lovely little wildlife park with the opportunity to get up close with some of the animals. The day we went it was overcast with intermittent heavy showers, so was quiet, but still had a great time. The keepers were great and really spent time explaining things during the talks/meet the animals exhibits. They even used our phones to take photos of the whole family group. The kids loved feeding the kangaroos and goats and getting to meet koalas up close. The Cafe/restaurant served up some great food quickly and reasonably priced.
A thoroughly enjoyable day out.

We went to this animal sanctuary, and where extremely surprised with the quality of the place. We were able to pet young kangaroos and see a pretty large variety of other animals mostly endemic to Australia. I would recommend to anyone looking to get up close in person to the animals and certainly to anyone with young children who are wanting to see a kangaroo up close and personal.

Such a forgotten treasure in Sydney.
Go during school time and enjoy a relaxing walk through this beautiful jungle of gorgeous creatures and extraordinary wildlife. Head down around 10am and there are shows every half hour from dingo's to koalas. Stop for lunch and then head to the farmyard and reptile show before feeding some goats and heading home. Amy is a wonderful knowledgeable presenter who is so patient with the endless questions from kids. Got bitten by some bugs so wear appropriate clothing but otherwise a great time.

Koala park is a nice park with a variety of animals that one could expect to spend around 2 hours end to end. The park is setup on a relatively smaller real estate that limited the number of animals one could accommodate. Nonetheless, contrary to other comments we did find the place quite amusing and loved by the kids as they got to interact and feed some of the animals. A family onetime pass costs $86 only so you get what you pay for. I think this place cannot be compared to a Tarongo or Sydney zoo but for its size it still offers a enjoyable time for family with young kids. Staff were very friendly and always had a smile on their face which we found pretty welcoming.

I was so impressed with this place! Last time we were there was before COVID, and they have updated the place. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and interact with my kids, they had a ball. It’s easy access with a pram, clean toilet facilities, plenty of hand washing spots and out in the open.
We didn’t check out the cafe.
There’s a cute playground for groups. The kangaroos are approachable and friendly for feeding. And the goats are keen! We fed them through the fence to avoid them jumping on us with excitement, and the kids were very happy with that.
Thank you to the team, we will be back!

New favourite place to go- koala park. Honestly this place is incredible for toddlers so interactive and not too big so you can be there about 3 hours and see and do so much. They can feed kangaroos, goats, sheep. She held a Guinea pig and pat a lizard. You can go in the koala enclosure for inclusive of ticket price and take a photo with a koala. Pat dingos as they go for a walk around the park with their handler. Honestly best place I’ve taken my toddler in Sydney. And she’s been to both zoos, aquarium and wildlife world. The staff are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and kind. You can tell they really love the animals they are caring for. The park is stunning and really well maintained. I would say just put your child in gumboots if you go on a rainy day so they can jump in puddles and go in to see the goats in their enclosure. You won’t regret the up close and personal experience you get here.
Also please bear in mind when reading people’s reviews that this is an opinion peace. I’m coming at this from a great day out for a family who like interacting with animals which isn’t something you get places like Taronga. We also have 2 young children and this was perfect for us. If you don’t want animals to touch you and prefer the more caged observer experience then a zoo is probably more your vibe.

I only make reviews when I'm really pleased with something, that's no exception for this sanctuary!
The female keeper doing a koala talk this morning was excellent! She was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, making me feel inspired to want to know more about the animals. I had a great time, all the workers were friendly and I could tell they were all passionate about the park.

Nice little sanctuary park but does needs an uplift in some of their facilities. We went on a Sunday morning and it was not busy at all. The zoo keeper we encountered was really friendly and knowledgeable. Visit the koala presentation and you can have a free photo with the koalas. Other zoos would charge for this so it was a nice treat.

It’s a family owned small zoo but it has everything u need to see. Went with my mom and we really enjoyed our visit, spent a nice morning there. Sadly they don’t allow touching the koalas anymore but you can still have a close encounter and take pictures with them for FREE. Also, we bought a AU3 bag of grass to feed the kangaroos, there were quite a number of them, very friendly and cute, you can pet them. Took a lot of good pictures. People said there were not many animals in this zoo but the point is you get a close encounter and interact with these lovely animals which I enjoyed a lot.

We had a great little day excursion to Koala Park. It’s a small older sanctuary, with lots of Australian animals and birds. Koala show and dingo walk was interesting. You can pat a dingo! One of the koalas had a Joey which was really special. You can feed the kangaroos and goats. The goats are crazy. Overall a fun experience, great for kids.
Jem Graham — Google review
This is very expensive for the amount of animals that you get to see. It cost me the same amount to get into Sydney Zoo and there’s way more to see at Sydney Zoo. Same story with Taronga Zoo. While it was lovely to see the animals, I just didn’t think I was getting value for money. I would actually encourage people to go to one of the above mentioned Zoo’s or even Symbio before going here. I will say the amenities are good here ie toilets and parking. It’s also wheelchair accessible.

I have visited here twice and I enjoy visiting the animals especially the Kangaroos and birds, You have a great selection of creatures.
However I was disappointed when I entered the gift shop and saw Hats made from Kangaroo Leather, Don't understand why a Wildlife Conservation park is selling Unethical products made from Australia's own Native Fauna and therefore contributing to the largest Kill of land-based Wildlife in the world.
I otherwise had a lovely time and would be happy to visit again and recommend to fellow animal-lovers once this place phases out Kangaroo products.

The sanctuary is a simple and old fashioned family program.
You can have your tickets online or at the place (by the time I went, the online option was not working with apple pay). At the counter you will be able to buy some food to feed the animal for an extra $3 (one sack of food will be more than enough for a family to enjoy the experience, believe me).
The staff are friendly and the place is simple. Right next to the entry, there is a cafe with a simple and delicious food.
There are not too many animals, but for the $35 entry ticket, it is more than fair. Adding to that, you will be able to feed and pet some animal, like the kangaroos. During the day, there are some moments where you will be able to get closer to the Koalas and also absorb really interesting information about them, provided by the well trained staff (and you will not need to spend more money to that).
I think that, tough it is a simple structure the place offers, it is really a enjoyable experience for a fair price. Highly recommend!

Hadn't visited the Koala Park for at least 40+ years. It's a great wildlife sanctuary surrounded by suburbia, but you wouldn't know it. The wildlife exhibits were interesting and relatively well maintained - staff and volunteer staff look after this place. Areas under maintenance and upgrading but didn't detract from the experience. Great for families, kids and international visitors alike.

I visited on a rainy March afternoon when a lot of animals were sleeping, and still had a fun time. This is a good place for families and small kids, with animals that can be petted (e.g. I held a blue tongued skink). The cafe is well priced. The staff are friendly and helpful. I spent around 2.5 hours on my visit.

It's a Koala park, and yet only 4 to 5 Koalas are there to see. Tickets are $32.00 per Adult. Used to have more kangaroos thay we can go and feed. But now they have less than 8. Not too sure it's worth. Staff are friendly.

WHAT AN UNEXPECTED PLACE 5/5
Coming to Ebenezer Church, I had very low expectations. Why? Because what else can you do in a church right? But my oh my, I was proven wrong by this place.
The roads: Hidden in the depths of Windsor, the roads leading to Ebenezer Church are something taken out of a Microsoft Wallpaper. The place are so simple and tranquil, yet they produce so much beauty. It is similar to a woman without any makeup but is very beautiful.
The Ebenezer Church: Despite the old age of the church, it is well maintained and very presentable. As Australia’s oldest standing church (founded in 1809), traces of time can be seen on the structure,as well as the surroundings of Ebenezer Church. It is such a nice change of pace from the modern buildings in the city.
The Surrounding Areas: the church also has a cemetery inside. However, contrary to common stereotypes of cemeteries being CREEPY and SCARY, the graves actually in Ebenezer church are tranquil yet beautiful. Yes, my description is weird but I was surprised by this place. Moreover, it is beside the beautiful Hawkesbury River that makes it more peaceful and prettier.
Overall, I highly recommend this place as a visit because there are tons of activities that can be done in the area. One of the most surprising visits I ever had.

Definitely an important place to visit if you'd like to be in touch with Australia's history. Lovely little souvenir shop, school master's house, Devonshire tea, and countless beautiful old graves to admire, as well as a view of the Hawkesbury river.

This tiny little church is Australia's oldest church. There is a graveyard and a small house where volunteers have displayed some items about its history. Everything is open and free to enter. You can buy some tea and scones which is basically straight from a regular kitchen in the house. It's a real home style experience rather than a shop. The church and house are very small so you can see everything very quickly however I would recommend sitting for a while as it really is a peaceful area to simply sit outside and enjoy.

The oldest standing Church in Australia is a lovely place to visit. Missed the tea a scones but will return again. Friendly volunteers and is the reason why the Church is still in pristine condition.

Beautiful church full of history, but be careful if you have brought a plot there as certain persons will sell them from under your nose . We took legal action and won against them. Don't be intimidated!!!!!!
Excuse me do not call me a liar, I have the letters from our solicitors and Ebenezer churches solicitor to prove we fought the church for our stolen plot and the letter to apologise to our family and have given us another plot. I'm willing to share this information and names if you want me to, but do not call me a liar!! If you think your right then put your name to your response and I'll show you the evidence. What do you think???

The oldest Church in Australia, built in 1809, on the banks of River Hawksbury, at the NSW town of Ebenezer.
The town was named after Eben-Ezer in the Bible, 1 Samuel 7:12, wherein Samuel set up a stone between Mizpah and Shen and gave the name to Ebenezer.
Living history museum with a blacksmith shop, antique machinery display & tours by costumed guides.
The Australiana Pioneer Village is a fun, family day out. The Kids love getting to see old machinery, have a ride of a Penny-farthing, go on the steam train ride and run about in the wide open spaces. Pack a picnic lunch, and go and explore how things were back in the 1800s

Being in the museum is like stepping back in time. Great way to learn about Australian history. They have scheduled activities (may change on short notice depending on how many volunteers they have). Wish we stayed longer because I wanted to see inside of the public school house but it was around 2pm to 3pm. Definitely worth a visit again.

Best place for children and family. The Australian Pioneer Village has a beautiful design with authentic shops and other buildings that have been moved here from their original sites around the historic Hawkesbury district. Best monuments, must visit places.

Great place for learning and having fun. Now people know Australia has a long human history started by Aboriginals and Torres Strait Island people. Migrants and travellers can have a lot of chances to learn their culture and history, including their current ongoing frustrations. However, I believe that learning about first migrants / convicts' lives is also an important part of learning this country (other than gaols). Therefore, I don't think this is a place only for children as they mainly advertise, but for adults as well. In fact, I believe that adults find this place has a lot of fun more than kids! I highly recommend this place for all ages and all races.
* I sincerely appreciate all volunteers and locals.

Nice, calm, quiet and that authentic vintage village feel. Quite impressive to walk through all the houses/shops, especially the surgeon's house may give you some creepy vibes! Besides the miniature train, there's even a second train you can ride!! Also, you can hop on the wagon for a ride around town. Quite a relaxing trip, ideal to plan together with the Windsor markets.

The place is run by volunteers and offers a range of things for kids to see and learn about. They have whip demonstrations at 1.30pm, animal feedings and open up the public school for the kids to sit in at 2.30pm. There's a little stage with a piano for the kids to run around on. Animal paddocks you can walk around to. There's also a little veggie patch my 5 year old and 2 year old loved walking through it.
There's a cafe that offers a small menu. The food is good my husband said it's the best beef burger he's had this year. The prices are quite reasonable. 2 train rides and a tractor ride for extra cost which were fun for the kids too, again all run by volunteers. It's a fun day out overall. I think if I did come a second time I would bring a picnic blanket even though they have plenty of picnic tables I'd prefer to pick a spot in the shade.

We also appreciated the fact that the village is a non-profit organization. Overall, we had a wonderful time at The Australiana Pioneer Village. Everything is very well priced.
Definitely an easy relaxed Sunday outing for anyone wanting something to do.
Feeding the cute sheep was a plus!
The Cronulla Beach Walk is a great place to relax, swim and walk. Along the beautiful coastline, you'll find stunning beaches, rockpools, parks and playgrounds. On Monday to Friday before 10am and after 4pm, dogs are only allowed off-lead at Greenhills Beach.

My husband and I booked a beginners guided tour with them and had an amazing experience we'll never forget. It was our first time ever trying kayaking and neither of us can swim that well. We had been thinking of taking it up for the longest of time but had been too afraid. Through their training and guidance, they made it feel so easy and so enjoyable that we have now become confident enough to go kayaking by ourselves. Thank you so much for helping us get over our fears and to actually enjoy the experience. Amazing team, amazing place, and everything was just perfect ❤️

The kayaks we booked were available as requested with no issues. The sign-in process was very easy & they had areas for us to store our stuff while we kayaked. The staff who helped us gave us tips on where we could safely kayak, went to the trouble of taking photos for us and was also very friendly & nice.
When we were heading too far out, one of the staff came out to help us. He was nice but also very funny when pointing out we were sitting backwards (we confused ourselves when we banked the kayak on the sand bay & got back in the water 😂) but they cared for our safety. Reasonably priced too. $50 for 2 hours.
My partner who has never kayaked before enjoyed it so much that he wants to go back & he is not an outdoorsy person! 10 outta 10 (or 5 out of 5 in this case)

Featherdale Sydney wildlife park has a lot of different and unique animals. Upon entering it is possible to purchase some food for the animals and throughout the park it is possible to feed wallabies and kangaroos. I would recommend arriving at the park at opening time as this is when the animals are most active and eager for food. On the website it is possible to book wildlife encounters which is definitely recommended if you want a private and hands on experience with the different animals. The staff are friendly and informative. Throughout the day they also have feedings where staff will talk about the different animals whilst feeding them. It is a great wildlife park to visit.

It is not a huge park which works well for me and the kids. The layout is nice and easy to get around and you can be sure that you will not miss anything as you walk around.
I brought my 18 month old son for the first time and he was over the moon. The animals are great with smaller children and were very gentle when feeding out of my sons feeding cup.

The best part was our close encounter with the kangaroos and koalas! You will be able to feed the kangaroos and touch them as long as you want. Except for the koalas, you need to pay extra fee to touch them... but you will be able to see them up close too.

A compact zoo experience. Easy to get around. Great value for families. Close encounters with different animals. Loved the koalas! Well worth the visit!

My recent visit to Featherdale Wildlife Zoo was an absolute delight, exceeding all expectations and earning a well-deserved five-star rating. This wildlife sanctuary provided a truly immersive and unforgettable experience.
Feather dale Wildlife Zoo boasts an impressive range of Australian animals, giving visitors a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the country's most fascinating creatures. From kangaroos and koalas to crocodiles and Tasmanian devils, the diversity of wildlife at Featherdale is truly remarkable.
The enclosures at Featherdale were thoughtfully designed, allowing the animals to thrive in naturalistic environments. It was heartwarming to witness the excellent care provided to each animal, and it was evident that their welfare was of utmost importance.
The highlight of my visit was the opportunity to encounter and interact with some of the animals firsthand. Feeding the kangaroos was an incredible experience. The chance to have a close encounter with native reptiles left me with unforgettable memories.
Featherdale Wildlife Zoo also prioritizes visitor comfort and enjoyment. The layout of the zoo was well-planned, with clear signage and ample seating areas. Clean facilities and well-maintained paths added to the overall positive experience.

I really like this place! Great variety of birds and Australian animals. Perfect for overseas visitors wanting to experience Australian animals. Avoid weekends and school holidays of you can they get busy. Today I went at 11am on a Wednesday and there wasn't many people there at all.
Staff are friendly and welcoming.

This is the place to go to in order to see, interact with, and experience animals endemic to Australia.
The park has open areas where kangaroos and wallabies are able to roam around, and you can feed them and run their fur or forehead. Entrance fees are reasonably priced, and they have animal food available for purchase at the entrance. It is amazing to see the animals up close and personal and to have them eat out of your hands. It is easy to navigate around the park and they have these little stamps you can use after seeing an animal to mark your ticket/passport.
Toilets were clean and the entire park itself is well-maintained.
Food can be brought inside the park, but they also have a cafe that can be found near the exit of the park.

A nice little wildlife park with a lot of Australian animals like Kangaroos, Wallabies, Wombats, Dingos etc. They have many birds, some snakes and reptiles also few farm animals such as cows and goats. The park itself is not too big so it's really easy to navigate around and have a good time without sweating. There are facilities such as toilets, hand washing station and a Cafe. You can enjoy this on your way to Blue Mountain.
Darshana Perera — Google review
For one, you can collect stamps here! For two, that's a serious lot of birds! Among them many are rarely seen in any other zoo in Sydney. I wish the website could say more about it. Definitely give it a go if you are a bird lover. Apart from birds, there were many koalas, reptiles, our familiar Australian mammals, and farm animals, too. The park is not huge, but the space is efficiently used, so you still need to walk a fair bit to see all the animals. Lastly, the cafe serves great burgers and chips. Overall a fantastic experience!

I’ve visited this place a few times now and have an annual membership and I always love visiting. The pelican feeding at 11am is always a treat to watch. My favourite animals to make sure I see each visit is one of their galahs who says “scratch scratch” and “whatchyou doing” while it bobs it’s head up and down and a gentle giant hen who always escapes the barnyard sea and free ranges all day long. There are two black cockatoos that always fly to their aviary fence to come say hi and demand scratches on their feet and head. Featherdale’s extensive range of native birds is absolutely incredible. I’m fortunate to live nearby and visit often as I can. It never gets boring. The staff that work there are always friendly and happy to answer your questions. The cafe also does the best hot chips (aka fries)

Busy but good.. you used to be able to take photos with the koalas as part of the entrance, now they charge extra and won't allow you to take a slightly different photo without charging double.. so a tad disappointing that they just keep milking as much money as possible.
Love the Aussie wildlife, they look well fed and healthy.
The birds look a bit sad to be stuck in the cages but also healthy and well.
The staff were friendly and helpful

Great variety of Australian animals and opportunities to interact! Overall, nice place with extremely helpful staff. Bit difficult to get to if you don’t have a car and there are limited parking spaces.
reese espirit — Google review
Not the best experience and very expensive ($40). There's not a lot to see, and what there is to see is behind layers of wired cages. Any photos you see that people took, it's almost certainly when their camera is positioned between the holes in the wire cages. Most of the animals are very far from view, and the only ones you can interact with are goats. There was one wombat and one kangaroo that was accessible, and people were so starving for entertainment, that everyone was gathered around it trying to feed it and touch it. I came here 14 years ago, and it was so fun. They had so many kangaroos walking around that you could walk right up to and feed, a huge tortoise eating carrots, dingo pups... everything seemed so accessible. But now it's seems like everything is super protected and very limited. A bird sleeping in a tree about 6 metres away from you and up high - yawn. My advice is... go nuts on wombats and kangaroos and flood the place with them. Let's face it, that's really what we want to see... they are entirely an Australian thing and fun to interact with.

This was by far my best experience while in Australia. It is one of the places about one hour drive from Sydney that you can feed and get close to a Koala. It is about 150 dollars to spend about 20 minutes in an enclosure. You need to make reservations in advance. The park itself was amazing too. You got to see lots of other cool animals and pet Kangaroos. It was small intimate place that was not crowded and just perfect. It was a must and I highly recommend a visit.

I visited Featherdale Park with my one-year-old son and we had a wonderful time. The park is home to koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, and penguins. We got to hand-feed some of the animals and even pat a koala. The staff were friendly and informative, and the park was clean and well-maintained. It was a great way to experience the wildlife. I highly recommend Featherdale Park for anyone looking for a fun and educational day out with the family.

Amazing place with various endemic species in AU or NZ. Not much visitors in weekdays, and the staffs are friendly as well.
A bit far away from CBD but still easy to get here as a first-time visitor.
Recommend to buy tickets at kkday in advance, the prices are better!

Loved coming here. The kangaroos and wallabies aren’t caged so you can pet and feed them up close. There’s a bunch of koalas around the park for you to encounter and many birds and owls are around too. There’s much more to see as well. A cafe is present and facilities are located around the park for ease. It’s best to visit around 11am when most of the animals start to come out. Fantastic experience!
George K. — Google review
I thought this place was fantastic, much better than the Sydney Zoo, for example. You can get close up to many of the animals, feed them from your hand, etc. And it wasn't overly crowded. There are plenty of trees to provide shade on warm/hot days. I loved walking around the different areas and easily seeing the wildlife that was there. I highly, highly recommend this place for seeing Australian (and other) wildlife, many that are there because they were injured and brought there.
Larry Willis — Google review
Great for kids and adult. They have alot of birds, different species so perfect for bird lovers. I suppose that's obvious from the name Highlight was learning about the Koalas. They are the cutest awkwardly interesting laziest animal. You can get really close to the kangaroos and feed them. The Kangaroo feed is very affordable. Give yourself minimum 2hours to enjoy.
Adeshola Gbademosi — Google review
You can touch and take lots of photos with these beautiful creatures.
Buy a cup of popcorn at the counter for $4. Maybe 2. You can feed it to the kangaroos, which is very cool.
One tip: most people get stuck at the first few cages, go to the back of the farm, there are many kangaroos roaming around, feed them and take as many photos as you want. Most of the time, it is less crowded because everyone is at the front busy taking photos of the caged animals.
Pasindu Ranasinghe — Google review
Definitely a visit, if you want to see Kangaroo, Koala, Wombat, Pelicans, Emu at once.
For those prefer to have a koala picture, here is the right place and strongly suggest you join some group tour to have lower price ticket plus koala photography. You can decide on spot whether you pay extra to have digital copy.
Zookeepers are very friendly, kangaroos every where stepping up and down around you.
Raging Waters Sydney is a waterpark that offers a variety of rides, slides and attractions for all ages. The park is large and includes a lazy river with tubes, beach area and surfing area.
Great park for all the family. Food outlets offered the standard stuff IE hit dogs etc etc, but at reasonable prices.
Facilities all very clean with loads of staff making sure all was well. The day we went it was not that busy so ride waiting was short. Water rides for all the family.
I would recommend the park for any family for a great day out.
PS we had a group that had kids from 4 to 6 and they had a fantastic time .
Keith Allen — Google review
First time at Raging Waters an easy 40 min drive from the southern suburbs. We chose to go on the Easter long weekend which meant shorter wait times, excellent parking (which you pay for) and a great day! It felt like more slides than Jamberoo. The different towers were easy to locate and it was a short walking distance between each tower and each ride providing a good thrill! Great seating available at each tower to watch and wait for other family and friends and awesome grassed areas to chill at lunch. Staff were all friendly and helpful. With the 2 person rides you had to carry the tube up the stairs which was tricky but manageable. Some of the rides could do with some maintenance with leaks and rusted bracketing holding the pipe work which didn't help the nerves when walking up the stairs but all in all we all had a fantastic time and we'll probably return with a bigger group next time but wouldn't be keen to go in its peak season!

I’ve been to many water parks around the world and this one is beautiful. There are a lot of fun attractions and a decent size kids area. The wave pool is massive and the staff was very friendly!
If you’re have an odd number of people in your group or coming solo, be warned there are not a lot of slides where you can ride alone.

Excellent place for cycling and see the dam. During daylight savings it will close by 6.30 pm and non day light saving they close by 4.30 pm. Please plan accordingly. Very quite place not too much crowd when I visited. No noice very peaceful and also you feel bit cold compared to other place.

My first visit to this place and I think we picked a good day to do it. Smaller crowds due to an overcast day which kept the wait times down. Some of the rides need more staff as this will surely bring the wait times down on all rides. Food was the usual expensive fast fare but the cost for the unlimited slushys were my kids favourite. As we brought a season pass we will be back, so we will see how busy this place can get

Ride n slides were awesome.
Suitable for all ages.
Lockers are a little expensive.
Food outlets only accept credit card.
Staff are friendly.
Food was average at best. Bring your own food if possible.
Parking was included with the Platinum season pass.
Update: The park seems to be overun with young eshays now. Hopefully the park takes this seriously and puts on extra security to discourage anti-social behaviour.

Awesome place for kids and family, highly recommended.
A friend have a yearly pass for the whole family of 4 people so we just came along. It would be great if opening after school hours during week days so that kids can come here for little fun before doing their homework and dinner or just go for a swim but under the safety, staffing and costs to open.
My niece so much enjoy it, she had a fun time here coz in New Zealand (Auckland) doesn’t it. Great living in Oz land 🥰

It's reasonably priced for a theme park, the place is well-staffed and maintained for most of the part. There are lots of shades and areas for rest. Popular rides can have a long wait and the lack of proper shower facilities keeps it from being a five-star.

It’s staff members like Maddie at Luigi’s pizza who can turn a negative experience into a positive through recognition of fault and correcting it with kindness. I am very grateful for the accommodation she made to help make my feelings about a particular situation a little brighter. THANK YOU 😊

Fun day out for family of 4, especially for teens as plenty of large ride options. Great smaller versions for younger kids too. Tickets were $55 each (purchase online), then add family size locker $20 and parking $12 (no free parking options). We went on a cooler day (22°) in April school holidays and no waiting lines at all which was fantastic. Plenty of people wearing wetsuits, would do same next time. Note almost all rides need a minimum of 2 people. All rides have a mat or inflatable tube. Wave pool great. Approx 5 slides closed, but didn't make a difference to the day. Recommend you BYO food and water. Limited healthy onsite options. Easily filled a whole day from 10-4pm. Very friendly and helpful satff. Recommend a visit.

Big water theme park ... arrive early as the queues for some of the bigger rides can be long ... use your $25 NSW Dine & Discover pass towards the entry price here! Take your own food (non-fast food) as well! The big wave pool is fun for kids!

Fun time with the whole family especially with young kids. Splash and ride the water slides, catch waves and swim in pools. Plenty of car space. Two complaints I have is the long wait for the big rides and food prices but still a great theme park to visit.

Our family had an adventurous day at Raging Waters Sydney, filled with excitement and fun on the rides. The variety of attractions provided thrills for everyone. However, the crowded conditions were a bit challenging, limiting us to six rides in eight hours. Despite the crowds, the enjoyment we experienced on the rides made the trip worthwhile. Planning for a less busy day in the future might enhance the overall experience. Overall, a memorable day of family fun

Purchased season passes for summer and autumn school holiday. Went on a Saturday of school holiday for the first time at 10:30am. Got in within an hour. We brought our own food since I know their food is expensive. Showers have preset temperature. I'm fine with everything else. Our kids (7 and 9yo) love the place. We stayed there for nearly 7 hours.
Mye — Google review
The experience I had with my family was very disappointing to say the least. We paid $80 each to get in only to see each ride has a 1 hour waiting time minimum not too mention the 50 minute waiting time for food. The only way to enjoy your day is to spend an EXTRA $110 to get the fast pass, which still has a 25 minute waiting time. This is all due to the staff and their unorganised way of working and managing the lines, and can be easily fixed.

Great place to visit. Book a cabana if you go. It includes a fridge, tv including a safe for valuables. The food from the restaurant took about 1.5 hours. Order early or carry your own meals.

We had a wonderful experience at raging waters with our four-year-old. The facilities were really clean, and the staff were very attentive on every single ride. There was a lot of different activities for kids of all ages, and the pricing was very affordable. The raging waters. Junior area was amazing. The only thing we would like to have seen is the staff at the ice cream parlour wearing gloves, and adding the spoon in manually, instead of having to put our hands Into a communal spoon basket for hygiene reasons. Apart from that, the lockers were very affordable at $12 for the standard size, and we truly appreciated the post Covid cashless payment system at all outlets.

A poor man's version of Wet and Wild or Jamberoo on a rich man's salary.
After paying Adult price for my 9 year old son because he's over 110cm we had the privilege of paying for parking also, because heaven forbid you get to park for free; this is Sydney.
After parking up in the derelict smack head car park complete with used nappies, litter and god knows what else, we entered the park at 10:00 on an overcast and quiet January morning.
Another $20 for a locker and we hit the rides. Four slides in and my son and I hit the lacklustre wave pool where we bobbed up and down in 1m of water for 2 minutes before getting out to figure what next?
We had a Cheeseburger combo each which made us feel nauseous as we watched a cleaner scoop up someone elses partially digested combo meal and decided to call it a day by 12:30.
If you can't get to a beach, try a swimming pool or the Penrith Beach. The slides are all pretty much the same. If you can afford to go here, you can afford better. Save your money.
Matthew Lees — Google review
I worked at raging waters last season in food and beverage so I can assure right now the best time to go is away from the January school holiday due to the immense amount of people who want to cool down in summer, I'd recommend going further towards narch or April if you aren't willing to buy fast track which again from a personal point of view is very expensive. Food is also really expensive in general and even with discounts sure it's cheaper but it's still not the cheapest. But with no other alternatives and when fresh the food is very good in the park. Rides in the summer time have unfathomably long lines which is again why I'd choose to go later in the season but the slides are fun to go down. I'd definitely recommend going there but I'd try to go at a time with maybe a little drizzle and further from summer.

We were looking for a day trip to a farm for my little girl age 2.5. Calmsley Hill City Farm is perfect size to walk around and great collection of animals. We bought annual passes and have been going every few weeks, worth the money! Must experience: tractor ride, koala padding, feeding lambs and goats, caw milking and saying hello to one of the cockatoos who says hello back! We normally bought our own lunch and snack and buy ice creams or ice blocks from the cafe in the farm. I find the staff in cafe nice and polite but the menu is limited. There are plenty sittings and shades. Play ground and BBQ facilities as well. Saw few birthday parties held there. Highly recommended!

Really nice day out with the family. The farm is very well looked after and the animals look so happy. The entry price is fair as the money goes back into the animals and the price for the train tickets and animal feed is all reasonable. Plenty of parking too! Lots of animals to feed and be hands on with, also some shows/talks throughout the day.
The cafe has nice food and snacks, plenty of seating areas and a kids playground. The farm isn’t huge so it’s not exhausting to walk around to all the areas. Really lovely place, couldn’t fault it at all.

I am impressed. This is such a great little adventure for the kids and parents alike AND pram friendly!. Kids under 10 would very much enjoy the hands on with all the animals. Touching, patting, feeding they love it! The food at the cafe is very reasonably priced burger with chips and drink $14.50, compared to other places charging over $20. I loved that my 2yr old could run around the whole place and I didn't have to worry about her getting out or going into something she shouldn't. The kids equipment In the middle is also a great spot for them to run around and parents can relax and watch from them every angle! I will be back!

A cozy farm with a decent amount of farm animals. Sadly some of them were caged in a small place not much for them to roam around. They also have attractions for the children to engage with the animals. My daughter loves the tractor ride especially! The staffs are friendly, the place is well maintained and clean. So happy to find out this place and only 30 mins from my place. The only downside is the ticket price can be a little pricey for a small farm compared to a zoo ticket price.

This location is renowned for its popularity among tourists and paragliding enthusiasts. It offers a breathtaking 180-degree panoramic view of the sea and hills. I highly recommend exploring the nearby attractions, including the Hindu temple, to fully experience the cultural and scenic richness of the area.

Loved it. The exhilarating feeling of standing so far above and observing the preciseness and exquisite grandeur of God's artist eye. Becareful of the edge slippery but dares you to walk cautiously to the edge and take a selfie overlook the majestic coastline

The view here is amazing, as you can see the Sea Cliff Bridge from this vantage point. It can get quite windy. There's ample parking available, and there's even a mini bar located beneath the viewing platform.

Beautiful colours of the sea and cliff! We saw a big ship docked in the middle of the sea. And right below is the town of Stanwell and Stanwell park where people look like tiny dots 😀
Wait to spot a train passing by in the hills!

The Grand Pacific Drive is a picturesque coastal route spanning 140-km, featuring breathtaking views of the ocean and cliffs. It takes in natural landmarks, rainforests, beaches, and other scenic spots. The drive passes through the Royal National Park towards Stanwell Tops and includes stops at various parks and beaches along the way. One of its highlights is the Sea Cliff Bridge which provides an incredible experience of driving over water while enjoying stunning views.
Awesome ocean and cliff view.. can see the beautiful Grand pacific drive from here.. even more amazing is the scenic drive.. with many stops in between like the beaches and parks and just scenic spots..
P.S. - gets really windy out here with the ocean winds so better carry jackets along.
You just can't miss seeing this beautiful side of earth even if you live anywhere in Australia or just a tourist..Have an awesome time!! Cheers 😉🌄👍

Travelled just to do the sea cliff bridge, wasn't disappointed. Would of been better if it wasn't raining and overcast. The look out at bald Hill was a great spot to look over where you had been. Very busy even in the weather.
Zoo featuring a variety of animals along with a splash park & adventure playground.
Visited today (Saturday) Very humid and sticky! But it was perfect because it didn’t rain on us, thank goodness.
The staffs are friendly, the service was quick. They scanned by barcode & provide me with the animal food.
I have loads of fun, seeing different animals, especially the Australian native animals. My 2-year-old nephew loved it as well.
The water splash park was also fun, it was too hot I went to play with nephew in the water!
It was only 30 minutes from the shire.

Little place to spend the day with family, but not worth the trip all the way from Sydney. My little one had a great day though and enjoyed the playground!
Once we visited Symbio lots of areas were under construction. Staff were great with the kids and very informative.
Feeding lamas, kangaroos, goats, ships...were the best part of the trip.

One of my best experiences is due to the add-on of Koala 🐨 Encounter. My family enjoyed the experience all around, from taking photos with the Koalas and playing at the playground. It wasn't crowded or too large that we felt exhausted. We were able to spend a few hours with the kids.

Park was a top-notch. The animals look well-cared for and the place is spotless. Got to get up close with some Aussie wildlife, which was ace. The koala encounter is a must-do. Reception staff can use some improvements in attitude. Cafe had cockroaches running around. Great spot for a family day or just to chill with nature. Def recommend!

we bought our tickets on line, which was a good thing, given the weather. we would have been able to wait for a whole year from date of purchase, I am glad we went when we did.
although it was a wet day we all loved it. My grandson really enjoyed feeding and getting close to the animals. I think his first birthday was well spent at Symbio
Sonja Oudhoff — Google review
Google has Symbio tagged as a zoo but I'd say it's more like a small sanctuary with a lot of local species and a few from farther away. The highlights are obviously seeing the koalas and feeding the kangaroos. Getting up close with kangaroos is definitely not an experience you get at a typical zoo. I was also quite impressed with the late afternoon koala program which was not really a show but more of a conversation with the keeper as she tended to the animals. I learned a ton about koalas that I probably wouldn't have at a typical zoo. There's a playground and splash park for the kiddos, though this can be a fun time even if you don't have kids.

Came with a 2 and a half year old, was a fantastic half day. No rush and small crowd, exhibits were small enough for her to see without having to be carried, enough for an easy day of fun with the animals. Purchased feed for the open areas to feed the animals.
Food options were a little expensive, but a number of different options, facilities were clean, staff were really friendly and helpful.

Such a lovely time. Very spacious for the animals and heaps to do. Was a bit chilly for the splash park but the playground was fantastic a d a nice little break between animals. Highly recommend and look forward to a other visit when back out near Sydney

We came here on a Monday with a six month, old son, and we had just the most easy, relaxed and fun filled day. Highly recommend coming on a sunny day to enjoy everything this Park has to offer. We particularly liked the petting zoo with the farm animals as well as the kangaroos, the play park as well with all the equipment available was also super enjoyable. This is a very family friendly place and will be coming here for many years. I’m sure.

Symbio is such an awesome zoo! I went here on a Friday and it was so good with koalas, penguins, turtles, snakes, crocodiles, dingos and so much more. I bought my tickets online and there's really no wait for entry they just scan the QR code on your phone, give you any items like animal food and then you're in.
One of my favourite parts was getting to actually hand feed and pet the animals including Kangaroos, Wallabies, Goats, Emus and Chickens. The Kangaroos and Wallabies are in an open grass area meaning you can freely approach them.
This is all included in admission and only requires buying the food bag (2 for $5). Very reasonably priced overall and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Nice for half day trip. Kids will love feeding and petting the animals (kangaroos, goats, sheep, emus) and close animal encounters (paid). The place has its own kids playground and lots of resting places and benches and toilets. Even saw some birthday celebrations going on, which was lovely to see with lots of kids.
A little bit of walking is involved so be prepared.

Lovely wildlife park with a great range of Aussie animals! Loads of space and well looked after grounds. It surprisingly never feels overly busy or stressful and it’s easy to get out when you have all had enough - unlike the bigger zoos! Take a packed lunch, the cafe is small and very limited (but they are building a new one which is cool!). Splash park is amazing in the summer! Oh and there is a fabulous kids playground too! Everything you need for a fab family day out!

Great experience at Symbio. Staff were friendly and the animal enclosures were large and well maintained. I especially appreciated the cleanliness of the farmyard area. The goats had grass and their indoor space to use. Everything smelt clean.
The playground is a huge bonus too! It definitely topped our day.

What a fantastic experience for the Koala encounter. You are up close and personal with the soft cuddly Koalas. Fed them eucalyptus leaves and Jamba even bellowed for us! Wonderful experience. Also fed the kangaroos up close and personal watching those big middle toes of course and following instructions explicitly :)

A fantastic day out for all the family. Beautiful facilities. Lovely collection of animals (the baby koala was a highlight). Really informative talks (we loved the reptile show!) Staff who know a huge amount about what they're speaking on — and have a passion for the animals and an ability to communicate well with kids. And an amazing play park for the younger members of our party to run off energy. All in all a brilliant day out — I'd give it six stars if I could!

Fantastic! This place is always a favourite with my friends and me. Symbio has a great range of animals to see. You are encouraged to be hands on with the animals which is a big plus as you can get up close. The park is not too big which makes it easy to get around. There’s the reptile demonstration the koala demonstration which is always popular.

What a beautiful wildlife park. The animals appeared well taken care of and happy. It was a bonus for us to see so many animals awake and moving, many more than we've seen at other wildlife parks. The animal cages were so clean, the penguin exhibit had the cleanest glass I've ever seen. Feeding the animals was fun, but note there is no hand soap provided in the hand washing stations.
The staff were friendly and informative, the food was expensive but chicken burger was delicious.
The water park was great fun for the kids at the end of our trip.

Took my three year old boy there midweek school holidays. It was very busy, but we had a great time walking around the park twice, enjoying the water park and playground. The best part was patting gentle-natured goats and kangaroos. Food was delicious too, had a beef burger meal. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Lovely Wildlife Park! Loved feeding the kangaroos, emus, and goats. Definitely purchase some food as you enter the park. The park is laid out very well and did not feel crowded. All the enclosures are very well maintained, and all animals seem to have plenty of space. I am usually quite apprehensive about visiting zoos as they can be a bit sad - this is not one of them. Highly recommend!

Visited Symbio zoo today for the koala experience mostly and we were so impressed, the keeper Liz was absolutely fantastic, so knowledgeable, so kind to the koalas and to us, took lots of pictures for us too! Was an amazing experience which she helped to make even better. The rest of the zoo was great too, food was good, we had loaded chips (bbq pulled pork) and a choc muffin. Great way to spend the day and a wonderful encounter we will never forget with the koalas. Thanks again Liz, you are awesome!

The Wollongong Head lighthouse, also known as Flagstaff Point Lighthouse, was built with reinforced concrete in 1936 and still remains operational. The area surrounding the lighthouse is well-maintained and offers stunning views of the coast. Cove Beach, located nearby, is a family-friendly destination while North Wollongong Beach attracts both families and surfers due to its vastness.
A fabulous look out place in Wollongong, the place is brilliantly maintained, parking can be a bit challenging during weekends though. The lighthouse is very close to Cove beach which is super kid friendly and North Wollongong beach is ideal for family and surfers, the vastness and expanse of the beach will surely be a treat.

The Flagstaff Point Lighthouse in Wollongong is an absolute gem of a landmark that is not to be missed. Perched atop a rocky outcrop overlooking the stunning Wollongong coastline, this lighthouse is a true masterpiece of engineering and design.
As you make your way up the winding path to the lighthouse, you'll be struck by the beauty and tranquility of the surrounding landscape. The crystal-clear waters of the Pacific Ocean stretch out before you, while the sound of waves crashing against the rocks below creates a soothing and calming atmosphere.
Once you reach the top, the views are simply breathtaking. The panoramic vistas of the ocean, the city, and the surrounding hills and cliffs are simply stunning. You'll feel like you're on top of the world, taking in the natural beauty of Wollongong from a bird's-eye view.
The lighthouse itself is a marvel of engineering and design. Built in the late 1800s, it is a testament to the skill and craftsmanship of the engineers and workers who built it. The lighthouse's bright white exterior and red roof stand out against the blue sky and sea, making it a striking and unforgettable sight.
Whether you're a history buff, a nature lover, or simply looking for a peaceful and serene place to relax and unwind, the Flagstaff Point Lighthouse is an absolute must-visit. It's a true gem of Wollongong that will leave you feeling inspired and rejuvenated.

Wollongong, Australia boasts a unique coastal feature: two lighthouses. The Breakwater lighthouse, though inactive since 1974, stands 40 feet tall with a tapered wrought iron tower and lantern. Contrastingly, the Flagstaff Hill lighthouse remains active and is characterized by its all-white structure. Nestled on Wollongong Harbour's Flagstaff Hill, the location holds historical significance as a point Captain James Cook passed in 1770. The serene atmosphere and tourist-friendly appeal make it a must-visit spot. The juxtaposition of the two lighthouses and the rich historical narrative add to the charm of this peaceful destination.

Flagstaff Point Lighthouse is a popular tourist destination, offering stunning views of the Brisbane River, Moreton Bay, and the surrounding city skyline. The lighthouse is also home to a small museum, which tells the story of the lighthouse and its keepers.
The lighthouse is open to the public on weekends and public holidays. Visitors can climb to the top of the tower for panoramic views of the city and surrounding area. The museum is also open on weekends and public holidays.

This area of Wollongong was the site of military barracks in 1829 to 1834 with 300 convicts constructing the first harbour at Wollongong, which was housed in a stockade on the headland...

The lighthouse and the views from the hill are pretty cool, except for the fact that you can see many factories next to the beach. If you are at the lighthouse, you can take a quick walk down a rocky staircase, the larger beach on that side of the hill is where you want to be.

Helpful team to answer questions on making offerings and rituals.
We took fruit that we washed and made offerings, we were told we can either leave or take to eat for blessings. We decided to eat as snacks while enjoying a walk through the gardens.
You can also purchase small gift sets of offerings to take home. Personally we loved the bracelets and the water in the sets, there was also some rice grains we will cook and eat.

Great place to be, it's what you expected. The food are really good, if you're vegan or vegetarian, the choices will make you go crazy!! Highly recommended. Having said that, it's 4 stars instead of 5 because the quality of the services at restaurants are not great. They can't even tell what ingredients in the food. If you tell them your kids have allergies in certain food (for example peanut), their response was simply "it's best you don't have ANY of their food". This actually happened last week. One of the stall staff during the lunar new year event even just says, "if you're having Asian food, you should expect peanut in it!", which I also strongly disagreed. Anyway, hopefully there'll be improvement in the future.

This is an amazing place that I had wanted to visit for so long and I was so excited to be finally able to go. It was definitely worth the wait and the long drive. The layout was just beautiful and the atmosphere was so peaceful and serene. I firmly believe that as many people as possible should make the effort to visit and I am sure you wouldn’t regret it. 10/10.

Serene and well maintained temple in Wollongong. Plenty of parking lots available. Long stairs near the parking lot leads to the pagoda tower, there's a huge Gratitude bell at the back of the tower that one can be knock for luck. The main shrine has cafe at ground floor. There's university infront of the main shrine just a short walk across a bridge. There's also another cafe on the ground floor of the university.

Every time we come to visit it just makes you feel relaxed. The calligraphy drawing was fun and kids can get involved too.
Remember. This is a place of worship and alot of the temple and sculptures are sacred so have respect when walking around.
The little sayings from their master are great. Theyre hung up all around. And reading them just clicks with you sometimes
It's a beautiful place to visit. And there is alot to learn of you're willing to ask.

The largest Buddhist temple in Sydney. Found in the beautiful suburb of Wollongong, you'll find yourself in a place that promotes stillness and silence.
It's quite a large property you can roam freely on mindfulness. Visit the large pagoda where you can take calligraphy classes or make an offering to the Buddha. Walk up the grounds to the mindfulness bell and ring a sound for peace ✌🏾 nearby the Shakyamuni statue that sits above. Done at the Dew Drop Inn, eating light and refreshing vegetarian food full of love and flavors. All in all, be in the present moment and enjoy the surroundings, nature, and the presence of those you are with. Light and Aloha 🙏🏽🤙🏽

It’s totally different of Korean Buddhist temples. The ambience was like huge palaces. It takes a couple of hours to have a look. It’s really good to chill out and go for a walk.

Good easy trip from Sydney of about one hour drive. Recommend drive through stanwell park for amazing views and beach stops. Temple is great asian experience which makes you feel out of place in Australia. Food and surroundings are good as well.

A must see... The whole place is so serene and the people are lovely. Word of warning if you wish to enter the temples, no thigh high skits or shorts that don't cover the knees. Also must wear closed toe shoes. Photos are not permitted inside the temple but the surrounding grounds are great for some beautiful pictures ...I bought a tea cup and some literature paraphernalia and my friend bought a partial tea set.. the latter can be cheap or expensive depending what you like but they have some beautiful pieces and teach you the art of tea ceremonies. I think they accept volunteers...maybe I'll see you there one day ...make a donation to support help support these lovely people

Such a beautiful place with spiritual vibes. You can easily spend 2-3 hours here on the way to Wollongong. Their vegan cafeteria has amazing food. Recommend dumplings and lotus tea.

I have visited this Buddhist temple several times, with my most recent visit being yesterday ⛩️
I attended their cultural festival held on various days in December. It was a delightful experience!
The festival featured especially vegetarian food options 🍜, captivating performances—mostly traditional Chinese dance—and an opportunity to explore different parts of the precinct. This included the Chinese gardens, the gratitude bell, the calligraphy hall, and the pagoda, among others.
The temple is impeccably maintained, making it a joy to visit whether alone, with family, or with friends.

Parking was alright. Not too packed on a Sunday but it was also raining. Food hall was super packed during 2-3pm when we arrived. Food was average. I enjoyed touring the gift shop. Bracelets were starting at $10

Beautiful place, so peaceful and vibrant. The peaceful temple is surrounded by beautiful gardens and stunning grounds.
Collection of historic locomotives, plus passenger & freight cars, with steam train rides.
Took the family on little steam train ride and then visited the museum. It was a lovely day out. Would love to go on another longer steam train ride. The train was gorgeous, the guys had lots of knowledge and were very friendly and funny. What a great day out. You could easily spend 3-4 hours all up. It was great to show my kids the Red Rattler 😁

I'm a regular down here. Such a magnificent place to visit. The great train hall has a very large amount of locos & cars. The indoor display is very good.
The local food & drink options are plentiful. The museum's cafe serves a selection of hot and cold food, and the nearby cafes & eateries are well worth a look
If visiting when an event is running (eg Thomas Day Out), it can get very busy. Otherwise, the crowds are minimal, making for a relaxing outing.

A Wonderful collection of trains, new and old to look at and appreciate. My group is here for the “Day Out with Thomas”. We got to go on the Steam Train ride which I have done before and always enjoyed. It cost $35 which I think is reasonable. There’s good toilet facilities. The only thing is a member of our group couldn’t go on train ride because he was in a wheelchair which was a pity. Overall it was great visit and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend, especially for the children.

Good for the entire family. My son (5) loved it. There is a little train ride for free on the grounds, train play equipment and picnic area. Wear appropriate shoes as there is a lot of walking. Interesting to learn about the trains. There is a small Cafe on site but also food to buy across the road.

What a wonderful place to go for train lovers or children on the autism spectrum who love trains. This particular week was the Thomas and friends show. It's a beautiful place located in a lovely town and set out over a large area with a lot of train carriages to walk through and see the changes over the years. Plenty of parking, lots of bathroom facilities and nice Cafe. A lovely train ride on an old steam train and very friendly, helpful staff. A very enjoyable experience.

Had a great Easter Sunday with a steam train trip from central tithe NSW Rail Museum Aston Thirlmere. After the 1.5 hour trip through southwest Sydney we arrived at the museum and had a leisurely stroll through the extensive collection of historical steam trains and related rolling stock. Everything form the first engine over the harbour bridge to the carriage used by the Queen on her first visit to Australia. Good cafe and shop plus plenty for the kids to do. Also close to nearby cafes and the local pub.

Never knew this place existed. A definite must if you love trains. History is amazing to see how far we've evolved from the simple steam engines to the monster diesel power engines! Loved the tour and the small running train is always fun for the kids. 🚂🚂😁👍👍

The museum is very well layed out and has a great display of rail history. Original prison, postal, mortuary and luxury train carriages can be viewed. Also enjoyed the ride on the steam train! Very nice day out with the family, staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about trains.

Went for the 'Day out with Thomas' experience at the train museum. Absolutely loved it. So well organised. Lots of activities included in your tickets - mini train tides, rides on toby, jumping castles, painting and play areas. My son loves Thomas and he had the best day. Lots of clean toilets and baby change facilities too. The food options could be slightly better, but no significant concerns. Next time maybe I'll pack something from home 😊 100% recommended if your little ones love trains.

What an incredible little adventure at the NSW Rail Museum! The train collection is absolutely mind-blowing, and the history that surrounds it all is just fascinating. It's a perfect outing with your loved ones.
And guess what? The entry fee is just 15 bucks, but let me tell you, every single cent is money well spent. It's like stepping back in time, a real blast from the past. Such an eye-opening experience, and it really makes you appreciate how far technology has come since the last century.🚂🕰️👨👩👧👦

A must visit if you love trains! It’s a well maintained museum with lots of trains and vintage artefacts on display, but I recommend spending more time in the workshop area because you can go inside a few carriages and take photos of the interiors :)
I really enjoyed the 45-min steam train ride (included in the ticket). We visited the museum during non-school holidays and the staff was kind enough to give us our own seating area because the carriage is not full.
They have a cafe inside the museum if you want to have snacks and coffee. I recommend their hot pies, they’re quite tasty.

The museum is great for toddlers and kids who will find it fascinating and exciting to explore different eras.

I have to say we were very pleasantly surprised. The organisation was the best we've come across in NSW. There were many helpful, friendly and fun staff working. Everything was a breeze. So many great activities put on for kids including several bouncy castles & play areas. Plus all the facilities you could need.
Our 2 year old loved every minute of it, including exploring all the beautiful old trains in the museum.
We really loved how so many people in the town had put balloons out along the train journey for the kids.
The steam train ride (on Donald) was a highlight!
Can very highly recommend, we'll definitely be back!!
I actually had to cancel my booking because of a personal matter and no longer needed the Cabin. The staff were so helpful, they replied to my email very quickly and they gave me a full refund.

Would Recommend
Just stayed for 3 nights over the busy Summer December period and it was very enjoyable compared to reading previous reviews from visitors.
Slept like a seaside baby with no issue of noise coming from the looped road. Our cabin was right at the road point for the rock pool and I couldn’t hear cars driving past with the window closed.
There was an air conditioner unit in the main area and a fan in each of the bedrooms and one in the main area, all items working together kept us cool.
The self serve/clean style of the cabin on checkout was easy enough to follow. They supplied us plenty of fresh bedding , towels, bath room supplies and toilet paper. The kitchen also came stocked with cleaning items and products.
Downside
The door was a bit heavy and tricky to close, but reception said they had a locksmith coming to fix.
Upside
They have a very nice BBQ attached to the deck which is modern and easy to operate.
All in all would recommend, and definitely will be booking again come next summer.
Picture - view from our cabin.

For years, coming down to Kiama.
I always said.... I'm going to stay in 1 of them cabins one day... Well I'm here.... I really do love the location it's great, our cabin is spacious. But there are a couple of things that really stood that I didn't like.
1. The fly screens in the rooms only half covered the windows, which meant we couldn't have the windows open
2. The amount they charge, I really didn't mind paying, but the least they could do is supply guests with something better then 1 ply toilet paper
Last but not least,
Now I understand that these are clean it yourself cabins.
But someone that works here really should be going through the cabins at least once a week to dust. The photos I posted are the blinds in my room. And windows with cobwebs
Even though these are only minor details,
These are the things I noticed straight away
BUT..... Other than that, I really enjoyed my stay. I would come back again

Stay here for 3 night . Great location and great cabins. Clean, all the amenities you need great set up . Only down fall
Is the road that runs i front of the cabins Rw used as a drag race at night by the most noisy cars and bikes . So nearly impossible to get a good nights sleep. As the park owned by council they could fix it with speed hump or something to reduce the noise . Other than that a great place to
Stay , and we'll set up to be able to cook etc .

Loved the location. Most (but not all) cabins have great views. Can walk up to diggies for a morning coffee or afternoon cocktail, the ocean pool is also close. The walk into town isn't too bad, although we mostly drove. The wi fi here is terrible. They promote netflix but the internet is so poor it doesn't work. Don't rely on the internet for anything! We bought our own toilet paper, the supplied toilet paper is terrible. The cabins have most things you need, eg a variety of plate sizes, bowls, glasses etc. No dishwasher. The spa bath and shower were separate which I was grateful for. The washing machine and dryer were in the bathroom. Toilet was separate. We stayed 8 nights and while we know there isn't daily service I would have thought after maybe 4 or 5 nights new linen, towels especially, would have been offered. We found the living area really needed a lamp. Enjoyed the deck and own BBQ. Found the cabins to be quiet. Overall, id stay again.

My husband and I stayed here recently. The cabins are in a great location and equipped with everything you need and the grounds were lovely, and well maintained. We had a beautiful water front view. Whilst the cabin we were given was reasonably clean, I was disappointed with the following:
* There were about 1/2 dozen floor tiles broken/cracked and very grubby on the verandah and just inside the front door as you enter the cabin.
* Unfortunately the lock on the screen door couldn’t be locked.
* The lounge has seen better days too. It was quite uncomfortable and very dirty and smelly.
These above issue are so easily rectified, which would have made our stay more enjoyable.

We had a wonderful stay here. Our cabin was huge and well-laid out. The use of space was very well thought out and perfectly-appointed; anything and everything you could need was there for you. We had an incredibly comfortable and relaxing stay here. The staff were lovely - friendly, upbeat and helpful :) Would highly recommend staying here while in Kiama. We would stay again and for longer, too!

Great location, clean and well maintained. Easy access to gorgeous walks and views, the blowhole,
the Main Street just 10 mins easy walk and also the station. Amazing rock pool across the road. A tad disappointed with the motel like room we got appointed.
This was a tiny motel like cabin but priced the same as the larger accomodation which was a bit unfair. Receptionist cold and unsupportive.
Lighting made the property look cheap and not warm and inviting
No soft lighting ! All white tube lights
This popular blowhole along the coastline at Kiama Harbour can spray water up to 25m in the air.
This place is a common tourist attraction in south coast due to its historical background.
The local council in Kiama is doing a great job to maintain the beauty and cleanliness of the environment in this area.
I visited this place many times bringing relatives and friends from overseas.
The blowhole is a unique type of natural phenomenon that only the gravitical science can explain.
Its beautiful to watch during high tide.
If you are new to Sydney, don’t miss to visit Kiama lighthouse.

What a lovely spot. The blow hole is here too. You can see all up and down the coast from here. There are toilets, really good visitor centre with souvenirs and a cafe. I was here in off peak so wasn’t busy but imagine it would be in the holiday season.

A beautiful scenic spot with a fabulous lighthouse and the added bonus of a famous blow hole!
The views from Kiama lighthouse are truly breathtaking, and they get even better if you're lucky enough to be there for sunset. You'll also see whales depending on the time of year (though you'll need binoculars).
There is loads of green space to sit on, as well as countless rock areas to crawl around and explore, and numerous benches to sit.
The blowhole is fun, but not that much of an attraction unless you're lucky enough to be there on a day where the sea is rough and active enough to get it off big and often. All of the areas around the blowhole are fenced off for safety reasons.
There is loads of parking available for free, which is a huge plus.
Duncan McArdle — Google review
I visited here on a weekday during the school holidays. It's a tourist spot. Parking is always full, but the wait time isn't that long to get a spot. There is plenty of green space too if you want to enjoy a picnic with spectacular views. There are toilets and a couple of places to grab something to eat. All within walking distance. The blowhole was shy the time I went, but from the previous times, it always puts on a show. Go on the rocks at your own risk.

A must see. Kiama is well worth the trip from Sydney. Very windy at the headland but the walkway to the blowhole and around the lighthouse is very well maintained. We didn't originally intend to stop here. It was on our travel planner as a "if you have time, try and see this sight". However, I am so glad we went 8 minutes out of way from the highway, and would highly recommend stopping here. The views were incredible and, unlike many lookouts, there were several points and heaps of space from which to enjoy the view. Even though it was super busy when we went there, at no point did it feel crowded. The blowhole itself was also fantastically entertaining, and honestly really consistent! If you're really wanting to get that picture-perfect photo or slowmo video, you really only have to wait every 7-10 swells for a big one to come along.
While we didn't partake in these, there were heaps of walking tracks and picnic spots if you have time for a longer stop. And the main street we drove down to get to the lookout was bustling with parks and cafes and shops.
There was also a cafe at the top of the hill right near the lighthouse, and the public toilets there were some of the most clean and well-kept I've ever seen. Perfect if you need a moment on a long journey.
Highly recommended, and would absolutely tell friends and go back myself.

A fantastic place to go particularly on hot summer's day with lots and fun water slides! There's lots of fun for everyone with rides everyone can enjoy. Lots of water everywhere and it seems new rides are coming! The reason why it's four stars is because the staff need to be more aware about accidents because people were pushed off too early on the big ride resulting in accident. So make sure that when you push off you push off when the light is green and double check with the staff member because they are very nice otherwise. Hopefully they'll get this fixed and it'll be perfect!

A water theme park that attracts pretty much all age groups. You have a variety of attractions from scary to easy going ones.
The place is open rain or shine but some activities close during rain. The earlier the better to get it as the activities get busier as the day progresses.
It's recommended to get tickets online where you get a discount. You also get faster entry than needing to queue up for purchasing it onsite.
There are food stalls, toilets and showers inside. Certain types of foods finish up early so maybe a good idea to order earlier.

Been waiting to try this place long time. Absolutely awesome place especially for water lovers. They got big high thrill rides and more mild kid friendly ones. We got there 2 hours after gate open at 10 on a public holiday and still managed to try all the big rides and some of them twice with an hour left to spare. Highly recommend toboggan and perfect storm. Toboggan is not too hard but track is long and extremely scenic, they take you up with a cable car which can be an experience itself. Perfect storm is scary and fun and lasts quite a bit. If you are into high thrill ride perhaps try stinger (velocity fall), the queue can get very long and waiting area is high up. Can get really cold on a windy day. But the wait is worth it. Staff are really strict on contraband control so make sure you check with the park staff to find out what you can bring on a ride and what you cannot. Usually they are happy to store them at the start for you and you run back to collect them. I recommend getting a locker for the day to put your things away and just go enjoy with nothing but yourself. Burger Barn sells some pretty good crunchy chips but the sad chicken popper reminds me of school canteen garbage.

One of the best experiences of my life. I went there with my friends and loved every moment and rides. The scariest for me was Spider Funnel but so worth it. The adrenaline rush you get is insane. I held off from going here because I always thought my kids were too young. Who would've thought the park was unbelievably set up for a 7 and 9 year old. Park was fuller than expected even though it was cloudy and forecasted rain. Ended up with some sun during the day and only raining when it was almost closing time which was great. We got there just before 12 and there was no queue at the entrance. Have your online tickets ready( would recommend its $10 less than at the gate) and they have someone scanning them at the gates
Even with how full the park was most rides were only about 5-10 minutes wait tops with the exception of the stinger as there's only 2 people per round and perfect storm and funnel web which seemed like the 2 most popular options. These are some of the more hard-core classified rides. Overall very fun day.

Great rides and friendly staff. There was plenty of space when we went. No lineup for the first few hours. Only reason not 5 starts is the cost. It's very high. But there is extra activities like mini golf which we lived

Good water park and plenty of activities to do.
Not many shaded areas compared to the amount of people who come here, but at least you can bring your own sun shades and tents and park it somewhere close to the water activities.
Tickets cheaper to buy online.

Awesome day with the kids. We went on a day forecast for rain which was great as minimal lining up…and it didn’t even rain much. Only downside was that the toboggan was closed. Staff were super friendly and helpful, lots of good food options and toilets and change rooms were very clean.

Great day at Jamberoo. Going late in the season, out of school holidays was worth the wait. Short lines, plenty of seating, a spot for our bags inside the huts, everything went smoothly.

Had such a great time taking the family! I hadn’t been since I was a kid about 30 years ago and I was really impressed with the evolution to a water park. I think it’s worthy of being on the Gold Coast. We went on Easter Sunday which as awesome with the chocolates they were giving out and the lines for the rides were really short.
From the lookout we walked up to the start of Hoddles Track. It can get very misty up there as the nor easter blowing up the mountain condenses into cloud. Thankfully we had a sunny day.
The Track is very steep to begin with and the western end is a very steep climb up but it levels out in the middle. Beautiful forest environment awaits the eager walker for about 6kms return. Take food and drink. Very good new toilet facilities.

Beautiful place to go visit if you’re in the Illawarra. Even though it was a cloudy day on my visit, the views were still wonderful. There are 3 different lookouts, all fairly easy to get to, about 3 minute walk to each. I love all the countryside and scenery.

The most striking aspect of Clover Hill is its panoramic views. On one side, the majestic mountains stand tall, their peaks often kissed by clouds, offering a sense of grandiosity and awe. On the other, the serene sea extends to the horizon, its rhythmic waves providing a calming soundtrack to the area’s natural beauty. The contrast between the imposing mountains and the peaceful sea creates a harmonious balance that is rare and enchanting.
Equally charming is the sight of cows grazing leisurely on the lush green fields of Clover Hill. The pastoral scenes are a reminder of the simple, unhurried pace of life here, far removed from the bustle of urban settings. The cows add a touch of bucolic bliss to the landscape, making it a perfect retreat for those seeking to reconnect with nature.

Amazing views of the valley, surrounding mountains and the sea in the background. Winding way up with cattle farms along the way. Just a 1.5 hour drive from Sydney, its a must see on the way to the Southern Highlands.

Great view from the “A” track of the beaches , farms & bush land .
The top of the mountain is 600m above sea level and it was good .
The “B” loop is a letdown due to trees blocking the view .
Overall a great spot to visit and the drive is an adventure too . Some awesome properties and paddocks along the way to enjoy .

Beautiful lookout, parking is close by and the views are spectacular.
Came here with a group on motorcycles and was able rescue a young lady who'd gone through the parking barrier and was teetering on sliding down into the bush off a cliff. Luckily we were able to push the car back uphill and everyone left happy. We tried to put the barrier back but could only do so much.
Long story short, be careful in the parking area as the soft ground means you will push through barrier if going the wrong way.
Otherwise a very lovely lookout with some nice nature surrounds.

Can view Kiama and surroundings. Excellent view from top. Front wheel drive with lower cc vehicle take time to move up. Better to use low gear in case of lower cc vehicle. There are absence of public toilets. Number of visitors usually less than what you see in Kiama down to it. A very calm and quiet place.

I’ve been here a few times, and I’m always speechless at the view. The drive up is beautiful itself, with so much greenery and farmlands. Don’t forget to stop on the road up to say hi to the horses and cows!
The small walkway to the lookout from the parking lot is safe for people of all ages and mobility in my opinion, and the lookout itself is splendid. Definitely worth the trip.

Located at the top of Seddleback mountain. The view of Jamberoo valley is mind blowing from this lookout especially on a sunny day. A short walk from the carpark. The views to Illawarra escarpment and the Illawarra brush are stunning . The drive to the lookout is so beautiful.
Rizwan F — Google review
The drive up to the lookout was really easy and enjoyable. There is lots of parking and a short path to the lookout platform.
The view was stunning, we could see right up to Lake Illawarra, to the horizon on the east. The highway seemed to disappear and all you could see was beautiful rolling hills and farm land.
It's free, peaceful and beautiful.
No toilets, no picnic area.

Amazing views, was hardly anyone around and able to soak up experience. Short walk from the carpark to see all views. I enjoyed the drive up to the lookout also.
You may drive by it on the way to the pie shop but take a moment. Park nearby and embrace its mythical like nature as you tread on holy ground.
Though you can't go inside it anymore and experience the traumatic life of a potato, it still has a magnetism to it.

In the quaint town of Robertson, nestled in the lush green hills of Australia, stands a monumental and mysterious structure known as the Big Potato. This colossal potato, unlike any other, has a story that transcends time and defies the imagination.
Millions of years ago, during the late Mesozoic Era, the land that is now Robertson was a thriving habitat for dinosaurs. These gigantic creatures roamed the earth, and among them was a species that had a peculiar dietary preference for enormous, nutrient-rich tubers that grew in abundance in this prehistoric paradise.
As the eons passed, the dinosaurs became extinct, but one of these massive tubers managed to survive. It was no ordinary potato; it was imbued with an uncanny resilience and an ability to withstand the test of time. This tuber, through a miraculous twist of nature, slowly petrified, turning into a stone-like relic, preserving its potato form for ages to come.
Centuries flew by, and the land evolved, but the petrified potato remained hidden, buried deep beneath the surface. It was not until the early 20th century, during an unprecedented excavation in Robertson, that this prehistoric relic was unearthed. The discovery baffled scientists and locals alike. How could a potato of such an immense size exist, and what were its origins?
The Big Potato, as it came to be known, quickly became a symbol of Robertson, attracting curious visitors from all over the world. It stands today as a unique testament to the town's deep-rooted connection to a time when dinosaurs walked the earth, and as a reminder of the mysteries that our planet still holds.
Thus, the Big Potato of Robertson is not just an oversized vegetable statue; it is a relic from an era long gone, a silent witness to the age of dinosaurs, and a cherished icon that connects the present to the mysteries of the ancient past.

Hopefully the good people of Robertson have a sense of humour because the Big Poo-tato is the funniest ’big’ thing ever and will be the ‘butt’ of many jokes for years to come.
Worth stopping for a laugh and a photo if you’re in the area, but wouldn’t make a special trip.
That said, it is situated in a great little town in a beautiful part of the NSW Southern Highlands surrounded by stunning rural properties and magnificent scenery.

Sturt Gallery is always an absolute joy and this time was no exception. Whether you wanted to splash out and buy one of the simply beautiful timber pieces by the graduating class or just wanted a gorgeous card...it's all there.
The range is extraordinary and they always seem to be adding to it. I got some superbly coloured Christmas decorations using indigenous bird images - what a conflation of symbols but it works brilliantly.

Lovely gallery with interesting objects and helpful, friendly staff. Current exhibition has some exquisite ceramics and other handicrafts, beautifully displayed with information about the artisans. Many of the items on display were already sold. We picked up a nice necklace from the jewelry collection. Looks like a good place for local folks to enjoy their artistic pursuits and engage with artists.
There is also a modern cafe and gardens with easy parking. Well worth a visit.

I arrived at the gallery specifically to view their archive at 12:30, as per advice via the email invite, that it would be open at 10:00am. Upon finding it closed , I was informed rather abruptly by a blond female , who appeared to be in charge that it wouldn’t be open for another hour or more and that “I should wait around”. The lack of an apology for incorrect advice was made worse by patting me on the shoulder in a most patronising manner. I commented on their disorganisation and left.
I returned several hours later to view “the archive”. This turned out to be one very small room, with perhaps 50 items in it. I questioned the small size, given the craft school has operated for 70 years and was told the bulk of it was elsewhere, yet this was trumpeted in the email invite as quote “ a rare opportunity to experience Sturt’s permanent collection“. Misleading and not good enough.
I have done several courses at Sturt in the last 2 years which were frankly far too expensive for what they offered and were rather disorganised. Other people I have spoken to, who have also done courses there recently, unanimously echo these points.
Sturt has a long and distinguished history, with many fine crafts people having contributed to it , the way it is being run currently does not do it justice. The school is currently being “paused” for a review, this appears to be well overdue.

Weak expensive coffee served by rude, sour staff. Food is overpriced. The art and crafts to buy are very beautiful but extremely marked up. It has been the same awful customer service for the last five years, maybe management needs to change. As the cafe is attached to Frensham and no other coffee shops competing nearby, I think they feel they can get away with offering the nastiest service, coffee and food. Nice gardens to sit in, bring your $$ if you want to buy anything.

My partner and I booked a tasting here on a Sunday on the recommendation of friends. We did the premium wine tasting ($25 pp) with cheese board. Easily the best tasting experience in the Southern Highlands for us this weekend. Robbie hosted our wine tasting and he was very knowledgeable and friendly. We really enjoyed the Rose, Sunday Afternoon, Shiraz Cabernet and Barrel Select. The white Fortified was also excellent. We bought a case of wine and would definitely return. Worth the visit!!!

Absolutely gorgeous property. Amazing views and super friendly staff. We didn’t have a booking for tasting but they were so accommodating. I was served by Ted and an Irish guy ( sorry can’t remember the name) both very friendly and professional and very knowledgeable. I tried all the wines and absolutely delicious! The viognier wine really stood up for me especially because I always prefer reds. Truly aromatic and lovely body wines!

We booked a tasting here on whim and we're so glad we did. The property is gorgeous with stunning views and plenty of parking is available on site. The staff were friendly, helpful and incredibly knowledgeable. We also had a cheese platter which whilst simple was very tasty and paired well with the wine. The wine was stunning, so smooth and flavoursome. We've done tastings at wineries all over Australia and whilst we've purchased bottles here and there, we've rarely felt compelled to actually join any kind of club. We did here though, we are now looking forward to another 6 bottles every three months. Highly recommended.

Nice views, it was late when we got there and only one man doing tasting , so he was flustered with 3 couples, but yet still nice. He was knowable about the wines. 10$ each for tasting and that doesn't or even particial come off bottles purchased. (Which I find bad business, as we go to many wineries, and if you make purchases, it comes off.. I understand why they do it and don't complain when charged...but even $5 off a bottle good!)
It is dog friendly!!! Big YES!!
Only the rose is from the grapes grown on site...bloody delicious though!

This was a last-minute decision that became a beautiful wine and sunset experience. The location is stunning with views of the Shoalhaven River. Timing it for the sunset ensures stunning scenery pics. The wine is very good, I loved the Rosé we had a tasting experience with cheese platters, which we really enjoyed. Hidden adventure here for older kids!
Turned up after reading the reviews expecting a nice time but less excitement with teens.
However there are two "walks" that are much more adventurous than a paved path as you climb up through rock crevices, into caves, up and down ladders and it was great! Although not animal related it is a great extra to this entry. Definitely come wearing good shoes. Everyone loved it. Not suitable for small kids so perhaps why this hadn't been mentioned in other reviews.
The zookeeper chats were all fun and we all enjoyed getting to touch various animals.

As a big naval aviation fan I was really looking forward to coming here and it did not disappoint! There was tons to see lots of memorabilia from ww1-now and everything in-between! Aswell as a plethora of aircraft especially helicopters, I really enjoyed seeing the sea fury and venom but unfortunately the main aircraft I came to see (A4 Skyhawk) is currently moved elsewhere. The reception staff are friendly and let you do your own thing and look around and the gift shop has plenty of awesome things! The museum has changed quite a lot since our last visit (back in the 1990s). Have always been impressed with aircraft and more so by naval aviators, so it is always good to read their stories and look at the aircraft that they flew.
Our visit was on a warm Saturday morning, earlier in February 2023. Entry is free, however you can make a donation on entry.
Easy to walk around on the ground level, although I didn't see a lift to the upper level for those who are less mobile... there may be one there, but I didn't notice it.
Recommended.
It's open again, lovely quiet spot with parking, tables, plenty of grass and multiple BBQs. Places to fish available.
The top of the dam wall has great information on the dam, environmental flows and fish lift. Great piece of water engineering.

A terrible road full of potholes to get there but a nice spot for a paddle up the Shoalhaven river. It's possible to stay overnight in small campsites without amenities. The gorge is beautiful.

Lovely spot with a picturesque drive to get there. Was very tranquil. Toilet block regularly cleaned well.

What a lovely place to come for a picnic and a viewing of the dam. Was very interesting reading about the fish and their migration along the river.

First time kayaking at Tallowa dam, a few hours kayaking up the gorge to monarch camp-site, nice early morning mist
