Casley Mount Hutton Winery is a must-visit establishment with a friendly and knowledgeable owner, Grant, who ensures guests feel welcomed. The wine selection is excellent, offering a wide variety that caters to all preferences. The cellar door provides a charming ambiance, complete with wine barrels and processing tanks. From there, one can enjoy breathtaking views of the vineyards while indulging in wine tasting.
Lovely spot. The cellar door is lovely and the owners are very friendly and welcoming. Great reds and whites over several vintages to select from which is a little different from what you get at some other wineries into the region where you can only select from one or two vintages.

An amazing winery and overall experience. My partner and I visited Casley Mount Hutton Winery on a recent wine tour and these guys were by far the best! Their vertical wine tasting, of the same type of wine, but from different years was a fantastic learning curve for a wine tasting novice.
Not only did they have an incredible selection of wines for tasting, their ‘behind the cellar door’ experience with a quick tour of their laboratory allowed customers to get a much better understanding of how their wine is made. A special mention must be given to the wonderful host who let my partner and I label a bottle of Shiraz each. We have committed to leaving these for 10/20 years, allowing us to remember the amazing experience we had at Casley Mount Hutton Winery.

This was our first stop on our wine tour and without a doubt the highlight of our day. All of the wines were very delicious, however the Chenin Blanc was a surprising winner, as my partner and I are mainly red drinkers. While we were there Grant was in the process of bottling some wines and it was fabulous to see some of the work that goes into the process.

Can't recommend these guys enough! Their hospitality was wholesome and you can tell they're passionate about their wine. Speaking of wine, we bought 6 bottles!!! Will definitely be back

Grant the winemaker is so lovely! He gave us a little tour of their lab & was so informative. The wines were beautiful. Definitely worth a visit!! It's great to know we have wines of this calibre close to home.
Jessica Blondeau — Google review
It is a must-see winery! Friendly and knowledgeable owner Grant let us feel very welcome. The wine is excellent and the variety is so big that everyone will find something for themselves. Lovely cellar door with wine barrels and processing tanks inside, overlooking vineyards together with wine testing and great host make our experience very enjoyable. For me Casley Mount Hutton was the best winery I've visited so far in Stanthorpe, strongly recommend to add to your bucket list while you are there.

Hidden Gem. Amazing wines - a new favaourite for me.
We visited this winery as part of a tour of a number of wineries and Sonya was a great host. Not only was the tasting experience very informative, Sonya took us on a journey and shared a lot of the story of the winery.
The wines were amazing and we left with more than we intended.
Mark Flynn — Google review
Our fav winery we visited. The owners/ winemakers were wonderful people who went out of their way to make it a great experience. The best part was the behind the scenes tour of how wine is actually made. So fascinating.
Shanna Close — Google review
A unbelievable opportunity to sit with the winemakers themselves and hear the story of each wine and the journey it took to get it into your glass. Grant and Sonia have so much passion for their wine and you can taste it. Fantastic!

One of the best tourist information centres we have ever been to!!! Glenn was friendly and knowledgeable on Stanthorpe and the surrounding region and gave us some great locations to check out. Other centres simply gave us a map or brochure. Glenn is a great asset to the centre and we would highly recommend popping in.

If you're looking for friendly, local knowledge and advice on what to see and do around Stanthorpe and the surroundingarea, you'd be hard pressed to find nicer, more helpful service anywhere.
And... if you're travelling with your fur baby, don't worry, they're very welcome and may be treated like royalty too.

Beautiful place tonait down with the kids have a picnic and be able to see the wildlife swim around and be them selfs. Town looked clean and people looked well manned and respectful towards outsiders. Definitely would use this place for a wedding reception or just a day out with the family. Such a beautiful spot

We camped here over the Easter break. The owners are very friendly and helpful and the grounds were well maintained. There is a toilet and shower block within a minute or so walk of the farthest camping site. Only missing a communal camp kitchen, however at the price point it is and considering how much room we had available to us, it was well worth not having that amenity. There wasn't a small designated space and we felt far enough away from other campers.
Troy Parker — Google review
What a lovely surprise this gorgeous farm is! So many wonderful things in the gift shop at sensible prices ❤️ the lovely Terri showed me beautiful Autumn leaves and allowed me to collect them. Will definitely visit again ☺️

Interesting Lavender Farm. Didn't have any fresh scones on our visit but did make an excellent coffee. Lots of Lavender products to purchase. GPS can get lost out here, but we made it & continued on to Queen Mary Falls from Stanthorpe. Definitely worth a visit & chat to the locals.
Graeme Handley — Google review
We were greeted by a lovely elderly lady at the door. That was lovely. The gift shop was cute. I loved their Aprons and bought Lavender earl grey tea. It is so nice to sip at night and relax. Thankyou for this brew. Will visit again 😊
Mandy — Google review
When we arrived our first impression was not good. It looks run down, and not like the pamphlet given to us at the information centre at Stanthorpe. When we entered the lady there was very nice and that is why we gave 2 stars. The gift shop has items you can get from anywhere and not alot of information about how the farm runs, the products they make etc. Not what we were expecting and not worth the trip out there. The place has alot of potential just needs some TLC.
Aidan Sorensen — Google review
I stayed as a camper. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The rest rooms have been recently renovated and were lovely. I could not fault the service.
There is amazing birdlife to watch and cattle in neighbouring paddocks. The Lavender was pretty, but not quite in full bloom yet. The shop had all sorts of practical lavender-inspired items for personal use and gifts. I think it's worth a browse. They operate in Queensland time because so many people visit when visiting Stanthorpe.
You can enjoy a coffee or tea, and sample their lavender scones , or cool off with lavender ice cream.
Sharon Jones — Google review
A lovely cafe and gift shop tucked away in the countryside. The scones were delicious. Prices were very reasonable for a family run business. Had a homely feel with a cat and dog roaming around and the owner is always up for a chat!
Chew Jill — Google review
Great camp ground, flat and grassy. Quite and accomodating host. The firewood overnight for bonfire was provided by the host. No need to worry to bring your fire wood. Delicious fresh scone baked from their cafe. Highly recommended!
Darlalyn Coster — Google review
This is one of the best location around this part of the country. Open lovely camping site. Host is willing to go extra mile to see you are comfortable. I didnt had the time to check and experience the little cafe and curio shop. Clean amenities beautiful landscape.
Rahula Perera — Google review
This is a lovely little shop, the owner was very sweet and kind. She was a very lovely lady and was very comfortable to talk to and had all the information on the lavander products and how it is made. The prices are reasonable for a home business and I am happy with our purchases. Would recommend if going past.
Darkfuzzy bubble — Google review
This was a very special trip for my friend and me. She loves love loves lavender and after this trip, I do too. The greeting was very welcoming and this charming family-run business makes it even more special right down to the farm dogs. Tim came out to let us know all about the varieties of lavender and what they grow and cut us both a bunch to take home. Still have it hanging in my office and it smells beautiful! I will be back again.

Absolutely great fun and not just for the kiddies. Our group of 9 adults had a ball completing the maze and the riddles and became very competitive (as you do). Unfortunately, we ran out of time for the putt putt golf but would definitely visit again when we are back.
Vanessa D — Google review
A lot of fun running around to find the clues in the maze. Well run place. The colourful paintwork and silly signs give it a lift.
The bag inspection on entry to check we aren’t bringing food in (or glass) is a bit over the top. Leaves a bad taste when kid-focused places insist on you buying their food that might not suit your family, especially when you’re already paying $62 entry (2 kids and 2 adults)
Louise W — Google review
Sensational experience. Local
Gem. Small but cute. Do it on a cool day or morning not on a hot steamy summers day. 😉
Roku — Google review
Kids (8 and 7) loved the mazes and mini golf. The riddle solving adds an extra bit of excitement to the large maze; and the smaller mazes are a great warm up. Highly recommend for families. Super clean and well kept. Lovely owners.
Amanda van Keimpema — Google review
Our family really enjoyed the Granite Belt Maze. The owners were very friendly. There is in fact three mazes to go in. The main large maze was really well set out. What we enjoyed the most was the riddles we had to solve. This was done by finding the dead ends and deciphering a code. We really enjoyed this twist on maze walking. The other two mazes were smaller with special short cuts only our daughter could get through, which she really loved. Also a nine hole mini golf course was included in the entrance fee. All in all we had a great experience.
Geordie Lavers-McBain — Google review
The kids had fun but there’s things that just leave a bad taste and make us not want to return. 1. They don’t let anyone in unless you pay full price… I am pregnant and unwell and wanted to sit and wait for my sister/husband and the kids but was told no, had to pay, so I sat in the car park and then went for a drive.
I noticed other parents in the car park too which is ridiculous. Also, the bag search to make sure you don’t bring food and drink is ridiculous… it’s a tiny ‘amusement’ park so clearly just after more money. Even inside they only had 1 sausage roll and 1 pie.
Easy solutions.. give wristbands to people that pay and have a seating area inside.
Ditch the bag checks!
Also for a family of 4 it will set you back nearly $70 which is also ridiculous for a tiny maze and basic mini golf.
Klc — Google review
What a little gem! A must do with kids if you visit the Granite Belt. Three fun mazes, mini golf and lovely gardens. The funny signs show the owners have a great sense of humour. Picnic tables available and snacks and mains can be purchased in the kiosk.
Davinia Munn — Google review
Enjoyed this with the kids. The big maze isn't that hard to navigate, but they've made it more interesting by getting you to solve one of many riddles using letters found at the dead ends. Kids loved that so much we each did 2 riddles. Putt putt was challenging enough for kids and adults. Enjoyed the funny signs and photo spots like a guillotine and stocks.
Andrew Cowin — Google review
Was lots of fun with the kids (18, 16, 13). Had a crack at the maze for about 1 hour, collecting all the clues to riddles, plus we found the exit! Few fun photo props plus a smaller maze and playground for younger children. Entry includes a game of putt putt golf which was a lot of fun. Small canteen available for food and drinks. Only allowed to take in water, all other food and drinks must be purchased from their Cafe. We ate before entering as no real gluten free option other than hot chips.
Clean amenities and friendly staff. Allow 2 -3 hours to enjoy all the facilities.
Narelle Upton — Google review
Great place, beautiful gardens and good fun! The staff were very friendly and great to chat too on a quiet day.
Kyia Bourne — Google review
Fun little stop for a maze and min golf. Maze is helped by doing the riddle and solving the puzzle. My friends (adult females) had a good laugh getting lost.
We did both the maze and the mini golf in about 1.5-2 hours for a group of 5.
Mini golf is very mini, but still a laugh and something a bit different than the usual in the area.
Chanelle Wheeler-Jones — Google review
Great wooden maze with puzzles to solve that will keep the whole family entertained; there is also 2 more smaller mazes for kids and mini golf ; thoroughly enjoyable!
Rodd Foster — Google review
Great maze for all the family. Set on 3 acres. With 3 mazes. 2 smaller ones for children and a larger one for the whole family. The large one comes with a riddle. You need to navigate the maze to solve the riddle. Lots of fun. There is also a mini golf course. There is a lovely garden area where you can have lunch or snacks bought from the on-site Cafe. There are a variety of birds there including Apostle Birds and Satin Bower Bird. Your hosts, Craig and Sandra are friendly and welcoming. Well worth a visit.
Janelle Kamnerdkan — Google review
Great for people of all ages as there is lots to see and do there. The only negatives were that on such a warm day there was nowhere to have a little rest in the big maze (I did mention this to the staff at the end) and not dog friendly, so someone missed out. Otherwise great place to visit.

Awesome dog show, and a great team of people working here. I got my dog off Matt nearly 6 years ago now and he's been an amazing addition to the family. If you are thinking about becoming a German Shepherd home I can't recommend a Trip to Lawdogs enough.

An informative, interesting 1 hour insight into the training and workings of this dog training facility. The narrative is clear and suitable for adults and children alike. Enjoyed it because it was something different. These are working dogs in training and not trick dogs so it doesn't always go as planned, which adds to the experience.
peter spooner — Google review
Went for the truffle discovery, was great to learn about truffles in Australia and watch their trained sniffer dogs in action. Grabbed some truffle oil and honey on the way out and can't wait to try!
Harriet Kendrick — Google review
Very educational and worth a visit. Great to see the makings of a working dog.
Gail Lockyer — Google review
What a wonderful experience. The dog show is worth it and one gets an idea of how patient one needs to be if doing specialist dog training. Also did a very short tour of the truffle nursery and bought some truffle oil. Using the latter in cooking (very small quantities) and it adds amazing taste and complexity to a dish. There is also local honey one can purchase.
Definitely pop in if you're in the area. Check the website for opening days as they are not open that often. When we went they were only open on Wednesday and Saturday from 11am. Also check when they do the Alpaca feeding.
Karen R — Google review
What a great show. We absolutely loved it and the kids get to be involved too which is great. You can tell they all love each and every dog so much. Well done. Oh and the truffle oil is yum too.
Suttons Juice Factory and Cidery, located just 10 minutes north of Stanthorpe in the town of Southern Downs, is a popular destination for tourists seeking authentic apple pies. The family-owned establishment offers a variety of freshly-baked pies and other goodies, all made with generous servings of flavorful apples. Visitors can also enjoy the cozy atmosphere with indoor seating by the fireplace or outdoor seating in the grassy backyard.
Any visit to Stanthorpe is incomplete without a visit to Sutton's. We have sometimes made the journey to the area just to visit Sutton's and stock up on their amazing apple juices. I also love the amazing hospitality here as well. Everyone is always so friendly, helpful and attentive all the time.
My favourite thing to do is to get scones and a slice of the apple pie and enjoy it in the back garden. The garden is really nice for children to run around and explore.
Malka — Google review
A down to earth cafe and factory on everything apple. The cafe is a simple corner of the shop selling all kinds of apple made products. The apple cider is crisp and the apple juice is most fresh! Highly recommended for a quick stop and a delicious bite.

They serve the freshest and most delicious apple pie ever. Lovely outdoor seating area next to a variety of trees. Worth revisiting during the right season to walk through the orchard.

We also had the apple iced tea, and it was extremely delicious as well.
I really loved the trees out the back with the signage to show where the drinks etc came from.

I was really looking forward to Sutton's. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. Just lower your expectations a bit and you'll be fine. The seving of apple pie is massive, so consider going halves with someone. The pie itself is disappointing. The side ice cream, amazing. The backyard dining is cute among different fruit trees. The pricing is inconsistent and expensive.
Belinda Walker — Google review
We shared a large bottle of ginger flavoured apple juice with plastic cups provided free.
We then shared three different apple slices with delicious ice cream and dollops of cream.
Best breakfast in a long time!
Apple juice on sale way cheaper than other outlets so could not resist buying more.

Suttons is such a lovely little spot for a morning or afternoon tea- it’s such a cute little place with lots of trees and seating. The apple pie was incredible, and the apple cider ice cream paired so well with it! And the staff were very helpful in telling us about all the products!

Amazing gluten free chicken & veg pie! Don’t think I’ve eaten a pie in 10 years after I became gluten intolerant… what a moment ;) Ask for salt & pepper as they’re not on the tables.
Looking forward to the GF Apple slice I’ll take for the drive!
It’s beautiful to sit in the back garden with all the fruit trees & chooks up the end. Really peaceful break in the long drive.

Highly recommended place to sample local produce. The apple pie has to be tasted to be believed. Best we have ever had.
Don Cunningham — Google review
On return to Stanthorpe, Sutton’s is always a must-do. The home-baked apple pie and other goodies are just so flavourful and loaded with apples that it’s impossible to say no. Their servings are generous and it certainly helps when you get the apple cider ice cream to help it go down. There’s quite a bit in store to check out, as well as the occasional taste test. Ginger-apple juice is really great 👍🏻.
There’s a fireplace indoors in the shed/cafe and there’s outdoor seating in the grassy back yard.
Jason Miller — Google review
The Famous Sutton's Apple Pie is not good at all. Very disappointed after travelling a long way to buy my birthday cake. Taste and texture was not nice, cost was exorbitant $65 for a family size pie.
We watch a doco on the farm and was impressed and thought we'll support the Aussie farm when next heading that way.
Big disappointment, sorry I have to be honest.

A favourite place for meals and those desserts!! I can recommend everything and keep going back because it makes delicious food and beverages served by friendly staff with lots of good stuff to share and take home too. Get a bottle or a case of apple juice or other items from their plentiful pantry and gift area. This really is a must for a visit when travelling through or taking friends around the Stanthorpe area.
Colette Quelhurst — Google review
Highly recommend stopping in here, Would be great if they extended their pet friendly section to put the back also, not just the small front "dog parking" section they have. They have some amazing produce, would recommend you try some of their liqueurs. There are multiple food options but make sure you save room for the apple pie! Even the ice cream they serve with the fresh house made apple pie is amazing. Wish they sold it in tubs!!!

Beautiful location, wonderful park and place to camp. Camp kitchen and bathroom facilities were great, and available when needed, never really had to wait even though we stayed over the busiest weekend, Easter.
Birds everywhere to feed, lush green surrounds, and the waterfall was a short walk, easy for the kids.
Great to have firewood delivered and coffee at the Cafe in the morning. A great place to camp if you want to experience camping or caravan, without it being crazy difficult. Just nice to get away and get the kids off, of electronics and running around.
The owners are fantastic, they helped us out of a real bind with another place, finding room for us to camp, when they were full. We're forever grateful for their kindness.
Couldn't recommend more highly.

I will definitely be going there again! It is such a beautiful place that you keep going back Trust me it awesome place you won't regret it.

We stayed 4 nights here and really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the place. A great place to rest, get away from the world. Take a couple of books and the falls around provide exercise, fresh air, peace and the great scenery. If you are taking the kids there pack games for indoor and outdoor , so much space to play. Camp host Allan was very helpful, always busy keeping it a great place to stay. Loved our getaway.

Spent a night in a cabin with my son and grandson - a boy's only getaway. The cabin was great for us with enough space and well equipped. The amenities block and camp kitchen are well equipped and very clean. The park-like grounds are scenic and very suited to children's play. Bird feeding of rosellas and king parroys is another attraction for kids. And the impressive falls are only a short walk away. The management and staff are very friendly. I was very impressed that when a fortnight earlier I had to cancel my booking on the morning we were due to arrive because of illness I was not charged anything. We will certainly be back!!

We had a family get together Australia Day weekend, (2 campsites) we’d been twice before and loved everything about the caravan park with native birds galore, possums and wallabies. This time, communication was minimal in making the booking, only 3 rosellas in campsite all weekend to feed, no possums and a couple of wallabies hanging around. Campsite were excavated the morning before we arrived which was good until the rain Saturday night/Sunday morning, what a bog hole to pack up in. Sorry, disappointed, won’t be back again, unfortunately.

We only stopped at the Cafe so can't comment on the rooms or the Caravan Park.
I must admit to having the best hamburger ever. It had everything a burger should have on it including beetroot & grated carrot. I added bacon but honestly it didn't need it. Better half had a homemade spicy nachos which he devoured. Sorry can't add a photo as we ate it all before thinking of other people.
The bird life and gardens create the perfect mountain atmosphere.
Staff were welcoming and friendly. Fast service even though it was busy.

This Green Lush Quiet Nature park is One of the Very Best going.
Superb location, Excellent Caring staff and Great overnight rates. Unpowered camping sites on lush green lawns. Powered Caravan sites with all amenities available, as well as more luxury self contained cabins of differing inclusions.
Very Helpful and genuinely interested Managers and staff. Situated opposite the Queen Mary Falls and National Park with Native Colourful Parrots in abundance and the ability to feed them also at your own sites. Wildlife of all types abound. Peaceful, Tall trees and fresh mountain air. It truly does not come any better.

Awesome experience staying at Queen Mary Falls caravan park. Friendly helpful owners, clean amenities and such a pretty peaceful spot to stay. The cafe had souvineers, bird seed for feeding birds, fire wood for sale, and great meals. We took our two caravans and were catered for as asked. The showers were hot at the end of the day. Wildlife were awesome to see. We were so relaxed , we booked another night. Thanks Alan and family, we will be back. Karen Neil David and Teresa.

Have never actually been to the circuit track, but have been to Warwick Dragway right next door many, many times. Always an awesome time with awesome people. The way drag racing should be run!

Great race track, from leaners right upto professional drivers with Practice days, to large race events. Staff are professional and willing to help in any way possible. Spectators can feel free to roam around the track and pits and take it all in and can even enter the infield of the track for a different viewing prospective of racing, so pack a Esky and make it a family day out. Would love to see a new large amenities block up on the hill and some more grandstands around the track.

Was close by and dropped in to find a team deep in practise with a couple of new cars. Hope to get back on a race day.

Awesome track! Great for beginners through to professional drivers. Very forgiving with a lot of run off if you go off. Staff are great and friendly. If you've never been out for a track day I can highly recommend it. Always drive within your limits. The AMG Social Club for South East Queensland had a great track day on Monday 3 August.

First time at Morgan park, The track is awesome fun, the venue has great amenities, the canteen had good food. The Track managers Johno and Kayla were both incredibly friendly and helpful!

The tracks and the race events are good however the allocated areas for spectators are not quite good there isn't that much in the terms of seating and the lights are sort of blinding spectators but other than that it is perfect
Johnathan Mccartney — Google review
Family friendly racing event, with free spectator admission. Parked the caravan beside the line up area and saw lots of old modified cars, with owners that loved a chat about their cars. Clean toilet and shower facilities, and a good variety of foods available for sale. A really good long weekend for auto enthusiasts.

Jonno and Kayla and all the volunteers at Morgan Park do a terrific job of coordinating all the motorsports events. The amenities are clean, the new cafe layout looks great, and of course the racetrack is always kept well-maintained. The staff are very helpful, not to mention the positive atmosphere on the track. We always look forward to coming out here for our Sprints. Morgan Park is like a second home for motorsports. Well done guys, keep up the good work.

Not every kid from the city gets to ride the steam train. You need to book the tickets online in advance and wear closed shoes. We took the opportunity to take the steam train ride while visiting Warwick. A big shout to the volunteers, especially during the Easter holiday period. There is a mini-museum and shop for gifts.
The volunteers are highly knowledgeable, and they give you a brief history of the steam train. There is a small shop on the train for food and drinks. The kids were given a chance to sit near the engine room and pull the horn.

do yourself a favour and take this trip , it was a wonderful experience , the volunteer staff do a great job and are very informative, friendly and chatty along the way, lunch at the brewery at Stanthorpe was scrumptuous and no one left hungry it was an abundent meal with dessert included in the rail trip price ( which i might add is very reaonable overall considering the cost to maintain the locomotive) the train winds through some delightful hills and small towns , and the stop at Stanthorpe with the platform volunteers providing yummy little cakes , tea and coffee for a small price, well worth it . defintely will be recommending to family and friends

I don’t know how to thank you enough after coming to our rescue when our 7 room 3night accommodation at a Motel in Warwick cancelled our booking with out our knowledge the night before we were to arrive.
You were so professional friendly and accommodating on our request to get 7 rooms for the 3 night. I honestly don’t know what we would have done without your help.
Thanks to you we soon had an amazing weekend at the Jumpers and Jazz.
I would’ve highly recommend staying at this unique and beautiful hotel ,great location, very clean, food was delicious and apart from the staff being friendly and efficient they went way beyond amazing to cater for us. Huge thank you

I very recently stayed of 6 nights and would happily stay again. I was on my own but met up with friends who also stayed in different rooms. This grand old building doesn't pretend to be either 4 or 5 star but I would say my experience was 4 star. I didn't particularly like the gaming feel of the bar but enjoyed a few drinks there anyway. The roast meal I had one night was quite good and excellent value. I found the staff very friendly and helpful. They "joke" a bit about ghosts and the noisy floorboards in the hall as people go to the communal toilets etc in the middle of the night probably add to that myth. Absolutely great location right next to the helpful Tourist Information Centre and directly opposite a significant shopping centre which contains two major supermarkets , a liquor shop and much more. Ample parking out the back but it is not secure. I was on a motorbike - had no issues in the that regard. Room was relatively freshly painted, some blemishes in the halls. Lovely pressed tin ceiling. There were tea and coffee making facilities plus a fridge and toaster in the communal guest kitchen. Great value and I'd stay again

We dined at the restaurant. My 2 year old was being an absolute nightmare. We were early so it was quiet (phew!). The staff were so lovely providing colouring in items for her and being understanding even though it would have been so annoying for them! Luckily she settled before the restaurant filled up. Typical Mum, I ordered the pasta carbonara as to keep one hand free, and it had no business being as good as it was! Truly comparable to my experience in Italy. You made my night! Thank you!

Great piece of Australian Southern Downs History.
Walk inside and there’s an instant silence and chill in the rooms compared to the warmth of the hallway! At one point we heard the piano softly sound from the other room! There’s a fee to explore but it’s worth it to help keep the homestead in condition. Great to visit on the way back from Warwick.

It is a beautiful old building, with absolutely gorgeous views across the plains towards Cunningham's Gap. Unfortunately the building is in a state of much needed repair. The walls and ceiling are full of huge cracks and holes. It actually felt unsafe walking around inside ☹ I'm glad we decided to visit but probably won't go again.

Amazing looking property, loved reading about the history but the main reason for the stop was a small bite to eat on the way through. Wife and I both grabbed a sandwich, would have to be one the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. I went for the club sandwich which was huge and the house made pickles on it are divine. Would recommend people stop here and try the club sandwich!!! They do have many other options but I would definitely order the same thing again. And a great view to top it off. Oh, and the wife says the coffee here is great too.

We drove over from Toowoomba to experience the cafe here at the Glengallan Homestead - we'd heard nothing but raving reviews.
We weren't disappointed. There are panoramic views from the large windows, with clean neat tables and chairs.
The menu choices are not extensive but what is on offer is absolutely delicious.
Highly recommend this cafe for morning tea and lunches.

First I nearly went past this treasure, not because of the signage but because I was time poor. I decided to go and the decision provided to be a great one. The staff were absolutely amazing, friendly, efficient and they allowed me to bring my dog in (on leash). The staff let me know they hat cats around so watch the dog. The food was absolutely beautiful, the amenities were clean and the treasure trove of information there was fantastic! The location is beautiful with great arrangements for people who love outdoor activities... You can play lots of sport around the venue and hire (or byo) kayaks... There is also a great boat ramp to use for boats or jet skies. Close by is Dam Moogerah and a trecking trail which is approx. 3km each way (the view at the top is totally worth it)
venis Patel — Google review
Great setup with the BBQ area however it is set on the side of a steep hill so ensure you bring your muscles lol
The FAQs say that you are allowed to bring your dogs as long as they are on a leash, yet the owner's dogs were not and were walking around the campground during the whole night barking at anything.
Noise restrictions were not policed with other campers being very noisy up past midnight or from 5am in the morning...
Having said that the place has huge potential!

The lake was over full which made it a beautiful green scenery and plenty of water. The lake has a high number of jet skis and ski boats so unless you have your own boat fishing is hard. Also made tough for the kids to kayak. Camp moogerah is fantastic facilities and staff the only down sides are it's very small camp grounds and 90% of it is hill. SEQ also has restrictions on how close you could set up to the water and with the dam overfull the markers where still 30m from the water line. Camp fires had yo be contained in a pit or drum which stands off the ground which personally I'm not a fan of. There is plenty of bush walks around with stunning views and it's only 10-15min drive to nearest establishment. Would go back eventually.

Our family hosted our 2023 Sepelini Fonoti Family Reunion at Camp Moogerah. The drive was beautiful (make sure ur map takes you through ipswich freeway- otherwise its gonna give you a merry go round to gold coast than back to ipswich lol) funny much we were the last to leave and first to arrive haha,
We stayed for 2nights and it was totes an experience as in there was Praise nd worship, there were tears, there was stories n laughters, shared pain, singing outbursts, mostly understanding the importance of AIGA (family).
Due to QLD weather being super hot in November, it really felt like we were in samoa, walking up and down those hills, huffing n puffing to the toilets or back to th kitchen.
They had a commercial kitchen we only fished for knifes haha (we made do). The Staff were amazing the two besties THANK YOU for allowing us to enjoy, relax nd be loud 🤣

Went out for a weekend of camping decided on a powered site to keep the kids tablet and our phones powered. The sites were standard size but it was impossible to bet the tent pegs in the ground where we were just kept hitting rocks..they have kayaks to hire and a private boat ramp.. but it was a pretty expensive weekend as costs were quite high.. they also have fire pits to hire if you want a fire.. the Saturday night got quite rowdy with a lot of noise but most campers were respectful of the 10pm curfew

This camp site is stunning and has so much potential but unfortunately we were left very disappointed.
The website gives the impression that you can enjoy the experience with your dogs however they are not allowed anywhere near the water and with the intense heat over this past weekend we were left with no choice but to try and cool our dog down who was not coping at all. The care taker came down and screamed at everyone who had their dog sitting with them near the water and was very rude and unprofessional in her manner. She also yelled at my children for not walking the dogs away fast enough which is unacceptable in my eyes.
The cabins were unclean and had rat poo on the floor, the amenities were very unclean and there is only one toilet block for a huge area. There were no rubbish bins at all throughout the grounds and the camp kitchen was disgusting! The fridge smelt like something had died in there.
We will not be returning and would not recommend this to anyone which is a shame because it has so much potential.

This quaint little zoo is a surprising little place, that is worth a visit, if you go prepared for what it is.
What it is, is a small zoo with a strong ecological focus and a good range of animals. What it isn't is Australia Zoo.
We went on a weekday, during school term time and pretty much had the place to ourselves. It's not a huge zoo and at first glance has a somewhat "Tiger King" look to it. But that sentence is unfair and does it a disservice. You can easily stroll around in one and a half hours. In doing so you will get to see big cats, Giraffes, zebras, reptiles and plenty of primates. Entry to the zoo is inexpensive, they offer day passes as well as annual. Parking is free.
There are several free talks/animal feedings throughout the day from knowledgeable staff. I would advise arriving in the morning to take full advantage of these as the bulk of them take place between 9 and midday.
There are also several "close-encounter" experiences, where you can get up close and personal with the animals. These include Lions, Giraffes, Zebras, Meerkats and Marmosets (amongst others) and come at varying extra costs. This will add considerably to your cost for the day out, but is well worth it, because it truly does involve what it says. We chose the marmoset experience and I can say without doubt it was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. The little primates bouncing around and finding homes on shoulders, heads and even inside jumpers.
The facilities are fairly rudimentary, but clean and perfectly fine. There is a small cafe selling pies, sausage rolls and sandwiches, but it may be worth bringing your own lunch. There is a large picnic area in which to enjoy eating it. Finally the gift shop has a decent range of soft toys and other toys/souvenirs to buy as a reminder of a good day out.
Overall, we had a really great time when we visited. If you go, armed with the knowledge this is a smaller size zoo, you will be guaranteed a surprising and rewarding day out... This will be particularly enhanced if you are willing to pay a little extra for the personal experiences.
Harry Gasper — Google review
I was surprised at how compact it was but a great selection of animals. Cages were a bit smaller than I would have liked but a lot of the animals are part of breeding programs for endangered species so understandable. Lots of different feeding times and experiences. They have no funding so rely on donations and have land to expand to. Definitely worth a visit
Kim Douglass — Google review
Such an amazing Zoo with a great vibe. Nice drive from Brisbane and a great spot to spend your day or half. Recommend reaching around 9:30am, grab your coffee and get ready for the guided tours. A great opportunity to see the animals up close (as not crowded) as they are fed and kids have so much fun watching them eat. Lion, tigers, cheetah, Giraffe, Hippo, Meerkats etc. looked happy and engaging.
The tour finishes around noon so right time to grab lunch (and another coffee) and enjoy some sun in the nice picnic area while kids can watch the snake as the zoo keepers bring them out.
A fun day at Darling Downs Zoo.

I have been to every zoo in Australia and this zoo is a little rough to look at, it is amazing. The animals look healthy and happy, the talks were amazing and we went back for seconds. What an amazing day focus on animals not all the commercial rubbish other zoos have.

Amazing place! The staff are amazing! I have been tonthe Australia zoo and honestly this place is so much better. The price is affordable & the experience it's self is so much better. A zoo keeper walks around all the way from 10am so it's like a guided tour. It is a bit of a walk so good shoes and wayer bottles are a must. You could easily get a pram or wheel chair around.
There are cold drinks and snacks at the kiosk.
christine walker — Google review
This place is in need of some TLC but it is a great place to visit and has so much potential to be amazing.
The admission fees and experience fees are low. This park isn't about making a profit and charging customers a fortune - it is about giving people the opportunity to experience a wide range of animals. I would love to see a multi-million dollar lotto winner invest some funds into this park, it is well deserved and it could enhance customer comfort (pathways) and boost promotion and marketing. However, seeing the diversity of animals here outweighs the rocky path in my opinion.
It was great to feed the Emus and Zebras and other animals. There are so many beautiful bird species that I have never seen before. Tell your friends to put this place on their bucket list and get out there and visit. It is a great experience.

Arrived at Darling Downs Zoo and had a really great time visiting all the different animals. I had a meerkat and a lion experience. Both experiences I highly recommend. I got to feed the lionesses as the lion was sleeping and not having it. The zoo keepers and handlers were all friendly, down to earth and knowledgeable. The lion keeper also let me feed the tigers as well.

I love this zoo. So many animals who all look really well cared for. Talking to some of the staff they seem so genuin and loving of their work. My partner has better photos of the bigger animals like the tigers and lions and zebra. So many animals to see. Less commercial which I also love. I don't have kids and still enjoy it but of course a great place for kids too. Some improvements coming as well so in about 6 months time it should be even better.
P M — Google review
This Zoo was so different to any other. It lacks all the show elements that some of the popular Zoos have. The enclosures, the whole appearance was very natural and basic... but I absolutely loved it here. They have thought about such simple and easy ways to interact with animals, feeding the Zebras was genius, I found it so entertaining and lovely to watch. All the animals were very lively, the whole Zoo was so quiet, no loud music, making the atmosphere so much nicer than other Zoos.
They have a really good selection of animals, I fed almost all of the animals that you were allowed to which really made the long trip there so worth it. The range of types of monkeys were brilliant I couldn't believe the size of some of them.
We had such a lovely day out, it was hot and there were lots of flies and bugs around, so maybe some bug spray would be useful.
I really do hope this Zoo expands and more money is pumped into it because it has so much more potential.
I'd definitely recommend this zoo, especially as there just weren't as many people, you feel like you get your own space and time feeding the animals.
Ellé — Google review
We arrived around 10:45am. It was a shame to find many of the animals were already sleeping or resting in shady spots that made it difficult to see or feed. The glass viewing windows had a lot of glare from the sun also making it hard to see or take photos. I think it would be best to get there early or later in the afternoon. My grand daughter loved the array of birds and monkeys.
Cheree Davis — Google review
Had a great visit to the zoo. We arrived just as the various animal talks were starting which was great - it made our visit a whole lot more enjoyable. The enthusiasm and friendliness of the staff was exceptional. Although it was small we found all the animals looking very happy and well cared for. There was a small cafe which had some cheap and tasty lunch options and drinks.
We would highly recommend a visit!

The zoo is an underrated gem 💎 You can walk about and get so up close and personal to the friendlier animals. You can feed certain animals, the zoo does special shows as well, and alot of effort is put in to keeping it pretty and clean. We highly recommend visiting; support from visitors is the backbone of their operation as they aren't government funded. Keep the zoo alive 💛
N. McNamara — Google review
I have been several times and I'm impressed to see this zoo expanding. With no government funding, Darling Downs Zoo relies on public attendance and donations to expand and upgrade as required. Their animals are part of breeding programs and appear quite content. It's amazing to get up close with so many different animals - we've fed zebras, llamas, emus and kangaroos, and have been able to learn more and even touch juvenile snakes and alligators.
This is a little gem for our region, and they're doing a great job with conservation and education.

This place is the best zoo in South East Queensland especially for the money. The guided tour is amazing the variety of animals is awesome they even let you hold a baby alligator for free if you there early enough. Staff was amazing Marlee the guide was super knowledgeable and answered all my questions. 10/10 you have to visit you can pack your own lunch to.

a mixture of Australian and African animals,
well worth the drive, very reasonable prices.
toilets, gift shop, hot food and drinks, and dinning area all at the entrance.
But be warned, the flys are annoying, you may want to spray yourself down with some sort of bug spray,or bring a hand held fan.
but apart from that very enjoyable, kids will love all the animals.
Delia Hlaing — Google review
It was a hot day, so the animals were all seeking shade. Unfortunately we also were seeking shade . 2 drinks set us back $10.40 and entry for 2 was $90. I love to promote local business, but cost is getting out of control. $100 each if you want a close up experience with the meercats. Maybe if the prices were reduced, they would get more visitors, but in this day and age, where you need to watch the pennies, you won't get many return visitors.
So our day was a little disappointing, as alot of animals could not be located or just a leg or body part could be seen.

This is a small zoo that provides some of the most wonderous encounters with spectacular animals my partner and I have ever experienced. Whilst a general visit with information sessions at particular enclosures is great; if you can afford what seem very reasonable prices, I would highly recommend the giraffe and lion encounters. These are very well structured and you do not feel as though the animals are put upon or working for you...they are marvellous. Feeding a giraffe or lion is something you will never forget. The staff are so obviously committed to the care of the animals. The zoo is also part of breeding programmes for endangered species; and for those beyond that stage of life, they are guaranteed a comfortable retirement. If you're headed off west of Brisbane, make sure you stop by.

Surprisingly big with a lot to see. As someone who has been to Australia zoo multiple times. Darling Downs zoo surprised me. It's small but there are so many animals to see and it means that the kids don't get tired out too quickly. Was a great experience.

We took four adults, two toddlers, and two kids. There was something for everyone. You will need a hat, water and sunscreen. We also applied bug spray as its mosquito season.
Definitely should have got an annual pass as the kids are keen to go back already.
Definitely take a stroller or your kids' beach wagon with you if you have little ones. It's a large zoo, and you don't want to miss the exhibits at the top of the hill. It's very much worth the hike!
Bring a wheelchair if need be. The pathways around are gravel and dirt but very easy to navigate. Lots of seats for older visitors to take a break as you explore also.

We had a terrific day here. The staff obviously love the animals and have good knowledge which they are happy to share. Recommend planning your visit around the talks which are informative. We did some additional encounters which were really fantastic.

What a great little gem of a place this is. Well worth the entrance fee. They deserve support. Lots of varied animals and easy to take it all in.
I have been to every trail riding place within day trip distance of Brisbane/Gold Coast and Fordsdale is by far the best!!!
I have come back many times because Sue is always such an attentive and kind host, making sure I'm comfortable and having a good time.
Very welcoming to children and the kids love Tip the pup, Zeus the pony and the baby goats. Even got to bottle feed baby goats and see a newborn foal!
The views are amazing and it's just magical hanging around the horses running free in such a beautiful, wild place.
The horses are happy, healthy and bright-eyed. There are forward going horses and beginner horses, and once Sue got to know my riding level she let me go super fast! :) I've never had such freedom and thrill at any other riding place in Australia.
100% would recommend!

Our family loved our weekend here. We felt really looked after by Sue, who went over and above in her hospitality, including making sure we were super comfortable in our tents and well fed. We were off grid but did not feel lacking in any way- we are so glad we chose here to unplug. The horses were incredibly calm, well looked after and peaceful, and we also loved the goats. What a lovely time for us and especially the kids ❤️

Just returned from a two night trip to Fordsdale Farmstay and can’t recommend enough! The experience was great, and really good value. Sue’s horses are in fab condition, the trails are beautiful and the accommodation exceeded my expectations! Will definitely be back. Thanks Sue!

I stayed for a 2 day horse riding package at Sue's - and had the most amazing time. Sue was a wonderful host (alongside her support team including Pete and Tip the dog!) with great communication before I arrived. I stayed in winter. The weather was beautiful (if a little chilly at night), the tents are very cosy though with everything you need, a roaring camp fire, fabulous food cooked by Sue (no idea how she rustled up such amazing meals so effortlessly) - all set in the most glorious scenery. This is very much 'off the beaten track' and off-grid, but that only added to the experience. I can ride and was looking for a riding holiday that wasn't simply a 'caravan' trail with horses who had lost all spirit... Sue's horses are top-notch. They are all extremely well cared-for, the fittest horses I have ridden in a long time and with a variety of characters. As Sue knows each horse so intimately she chose the perfect horses to ride for my ability, and I was able to experience several rides across a variety of terrain in the surrounding area. Sue is great company and very knowledgable about the area, wildlife - and of course the horses. All-in-all I would have no hesitation in recommending this riding holiday to anyone wanting to properly experience rural Australia on horseback. I'd love to go back one day.

Go and stay here and enjoy the genuine experience of farm stay with the best host you could ever want. Sue will go above and beyond to ensure you are truly looked after like a family . She doesn’t treat you like a guest but her own family
The warmth , the genuine warmth and love was all there .
I couldn’t have asked for a better break with my wife, 2 kids and little puppy
The horses are stunning , huge and well trained . The camping wads awesome , the food was homely and always plenty .
I didn’t know how warm and loving Sue was . Next time I’ll take a bottle of red wine for Sue . You all need to do the same . Perfect holiday for your kids and family

We had a hens weekend horse riding adventure with Sue. Could not recommend it more, we all had a fantastic time and Sue was very accommodating. Formal Japanese-style university garden with a mountain-style stream, bridge & azalea-covered hill.
A peaceful, well-kept and beautiful park. Lots of birdlife around the lake and plenty of bridges for photo opportunities. The gardeners have done an amazing job and it's a great place for a quiet stroll, even bringing your dog (on leash) too. There's several entrances and a few paths you can take, albeit it's mostly in a circular direction around the park. A wonderful place for a quiet picnic (making sure to take any rubbish with you!) and would highly recommend!

Beautiful spot for a stroll or to sip on a takeaway coffee and read a book.
Lots of lovely grassed areas and seating available for a picnic or to just chill & enjoy the sounds of the birds.
There are some turtles in the water too. Remember not to feed any of the animals though.

This Japanese Garden is a beautiful place to stroll. The central lake has very impressive wooden bridges with water birds swimming in the lake. The time when we visited the place only a few trees have blossomed but still they lent a beautiful ambience to this place. Over all a very satisfying experience.

Even though construction work was happening for the new tea house, the gardens still look fantastic. The water is lower to allow the construction machines safer access to the site.
Towards the end of the day they knock off so the garden is peaceful until dusk.
The running water features are very peaceful.

The gardens are beautiful. Unfortunately we came in winter and not much was flowering. But having been here before, its just beautiful. Everyone has done a beautiful job keeping the grounds tidy and clean.

It's looking a little tired but perhaps that's part of an autumn visit. A sign said the pond was polluted and to keep away. Didn't see a turtle but lots of ducks, Ibis (of course) and other birds. The pebble garden was uncared for. Crafted sections of the garden are tidy, and the bamboo stands impressive. A peaceful walk on the gravelled paths was relaxing, and the water installations were calming.

Beautiful experience. Bird sounds truly memorable and the gardens were so authentic. Highly recommended for a very cultural and peaceful visit.

The gardens need some work to present a more authentic Japanese garden feel. However it was still a nice experience and there are some nice elements in the gardens. The ponds though need to be filtered and cleaned and the Ibis nest site is a real detractor.

An absolute hidden gem in the suburbs of Toowoomba. Nestled between the UniSQ campus and suburbia, there is ample parking streetside. Entering the gardens seems to cut you off from the hustle bustle, and very quickly you’ll feel yourself calming. The gardens are a lovely representation of Japanese culture, and all components of the garden are well arranged. The walking tracks will take you leisurely around the grounds, and the central pond and many shaded areas give ample spots to stop, rest, reflect, even meditate. The bamboo creaks and knocks in light breeze, and the various water birds seem very content. A definite must-do if in or passing through Toowoomba. Take a break from modern life, grab a book or a picnic, and enjoy. And don’t forget to look for the little hidden gems around the garden.

This location is incredibly beautiful, however, there are concerns regarding pollution in the water within the tank and the inflow. It's important to address these environmental issues to maintain the natural beauty of the area.

We always love our trip to the Japanese Garden. It is a great place to take the dogs for a walk and enjoy the relaxing feel of the gardens, water features, and wildlife. The gardens are very well maintained, the amenities are very clean and tidy with a new toilet block recently built, lots of birds, including the majestic Ibis, who have their own little island in the middle of the lake. If you can, come in Spring as the Japanese Cherry Blossums will be blooming which is a beautiful sight.

Great atmosphere at the cafe/restaurant. You can dine inside or outside and today we chose to sit beside the window and look out into nature. The food was awesome. With quite generous servings of Beer Battered Barramundi and a scrumptious tartare sauce satisfied my belly. Whilst Hubby munched on the Seniors portion of Apple smoked pork belly fully meet his hunger needs. One star off just because the Lemon Lime and Bitters was little bit on the sweet side. I should have said something to the waiter. Speaking about staff, their personality is worth coming to this place to see. Very polite, Very friendly and nothing was too hard for them to do. Plus as an added bonus there may be an artist amongst them, I should have asked. The paintings are of all the local wildlife is in the Scenic Rim of Toowoomba, if I dare say bloody fantastic indeed.. We will be returning to purchase some of them.

I have been there quite a few times; however, the last time was ten years ago. Being here today for lunch with my wife was simply awesome. Attentive and fast service, very friendly staff, no stress or panic; lovely setting; food was great, so was the ice coffee. Yes, nice views, lovely setting... and best of all a 'senior' menu (smaller portion and reduced price). Well worth a visit, considering the surounding park areas, waterfall (currently repaired; hence, no access from Oct to Dec 2023). Next time it won't be ten years to come back. :)

Service: staff not trained how to serve by not reaching across customers
Food: so disappointing as we had enjoyed lunch there the last time about a year ago
Told on phone there were several vegan options but only one on menu ( a salad which did not match description on menu - where was the pomegranate molasses dressing ( when we,asked about the lack of dressing, given a small bowl of balsamic!!!)
Salad consisted of rocket with a tiny serve of chickpeas and a bit of puree with lots of red onion on top (note: no mention of this in menu description)
Hot chocolate tasted like warm water with a bit of chocolate powder mixed in.

It’s rare that you find a cafe with such spectacular views having good food to match. The Picnic Point Cafe reached beyond any of my expectations with fantastic good-sized portions at affordable prices.
I visited on July 18, 2022 with two other adults and a toddler. The staff were incredibly accomodating, and being a Monday it wasn’t too busy.
The food is the best I have had on my Qld holiday so far, and I’ve eaten at some pretty fancy places. The seafood laksa was the best my friend had ever had with the perfect balance of textures, and not too heavy. It’s made with real coconut milk, not the cheap stuff.
The pulled duck dish with Asian slaw was one of the tastiest things I’ve ever had. It was all of my favourite foods on one plate. I couldn’t fault it. If you like duck, this is for you.
The third adult had the pork belly, but it was not to our taste. It was rubbery and sliced thinly, rather than the crispy pork belly sheet. However, the salad it came with was exceptional and made up for it.
The drinks and desserts were great, and I have to note that the almond/orange cake was probably the best I’ve had. It was the perfect balance of crunchy caramelised edges with soft cake inside.
Overall this place is a must visit if in town, especially for those with dietary requirements such as dairy allergies.

I received some distressing news yesterday and decided I would feel better if I had something to eat and drink and a good view at Picnic Point. They sat me at a table 11 where my view was the wall and the window frame. I tried to find another table and couldn’t. Gave up waiting for someone to serve me after waiting five minutes, got up and left. Emailed asking the manager to contact me. He hadn't contacted me by noon the next day. It is great restaurant and cafe. I went there yesterday when Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers on. The place is beautifully presented with great views of the city.
I do that lots of places now charge for surcharges when cards is in use to pay. The male staff who served me at the counter is wonderful taking orders for my afternoon tea. As I pay for the bill I mentioned that I wish it would be great if staffs tells the customer that surcharges will apply. Even before the male staff would response to my comment(or not to comment and do the jobs), one of female staff abruptly came to the counter and pointed finger on the monitor of casher saying surcharge application notice is on it. I am very disappointed how she say it in such rude manner with tone of voice.
It just ruined my day. Great customer service. Well done to that staff. Thanks 😆

It's not very big, about a 15 minute walk around.
No aircon in the room, just big industrial fans that blow hot air.

What a beautiful theatre.. I never expected a smaller town to have a better theatre than the bigger cities. It's big enough to get the good shows, yet small enough that every seat in the house is good for viewing the shows. I'm really looking forward to seeing more shows here.

I did the tour with a volunteer named Margaret. She was friendly, understanding and has a passion for the Empire Theatre. It was a fascinating and comprehensive tour with clear explanations and numerous stories of this magnificent building's history. It is a stunning place to see. Highly recommend the tour and the morning tea which includes famous biscuits cooked by the Friends of the Empire group.

Absolutely beautifully restored old building with amazing acoustics and atmosphere. We have been to multiple performances and productions and have had a great time every time. A truly world class venue staffed by polite and professional people who know how to stage a memorable performance every time.

Went there for my Daughters Uni graduation. I was so impressed with the auditorium and the building itself.
Beautiful old heritage style and comfy seats. Would like to try the on premises restaurant and bar.
I have signed up to the newsletter and hope to go back for a concert or a live play. Plenty of parking in the vicinity as well.

Stunning classic theater with fantastic staff and management. We're traveling a show through here and they are very accommodating and provide excellent care, facilities and catering.

Great place for events. Friendly staff. Although they don't have much drinks or snacks to offer. May I also suggest not to choose BB seating. They are too close to the stage and quite narrow space specially when you needed to go get a drink or something. A, would be much preferable for me. But to each their own I suppose.

First time in 2 years we have been to a live music event and it was fantastic! Great theatre, quite intimate but not too close, and with great acoustics.

Building is so beautiful, clean and well maintained. Reasonably priced drinks. Volunteers to usher guests to their seats, they were lovely to interact with. Perfect date night option.
Seats are very small and arm rests don't go up as an FYI. Also have to scoot past other patrons to get to seats. Not a heap of breathing room but lovely anyway.
Witnessed inclusive Access for people in wheelchairs. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Bathrooms clean and maintained.

Update: Another fantastic night of laughs at this Grand old Theatre.
The exposed old brickwork walls and Skylights are amazing
Finally after nearly a year of waiting due to a multitude of delay we got to see Kitty Flanagan. She didn't disappoint. The theatre itself was fantastic. Friendly helpful staff. Seats were comfortable for the length of the show. The theatre gives a great feeling and atmosphere of grandeur of a bygone era.

Laurel Bank Park is a picturesque park with well-maintained gardens that feature beautiful topiaries, seasonal flowers, vegetables and roses. The park provides ample parking off Hill Street and offers shade from its mature trees. A playground area is located near the parking lot that includes covered picnic tables ideal for hosting events. Additionally, scattered statues throughout the garden add to its charm while hedges highlight the attention given to landscaping in this local beauty spot.
Easy parking off Hill Street.
We are here in summer and although some of the garden beds are covered (I assume to be prepared for next spring) the rest of the park is lovely.
There are mature trees offering ample shade along the edges of the park.
A playground is not far from the parking area which has a set of covered picnic tables, perfect for a party.
Saw some seats set up which would make for a lovely wedding scene.
Loved the topiaries and the scattered statues throughout.
Also I love hedges and this park clearly does too. :)

Amazing place to visit during the flower festival, grab a Devonshire tea, and soak in all the colours. Laurel Bank Park has more flower beds and sculpted bushes than the Botanic Gardens. They also carry a different variety of plants like tulips. Scones (with Jam and cream) or lamination and a tea or coffee is only $8 and a nice way to relax. Butterflies, birds and bees are also nice to see. There is a large Thomas the Tank style train made out of hedging, along with many animal shapes; perfect for photos and kids to see. Lots of space for kids to run around or for people to take a picnic blanket / enjoy the soft grass. There is also a tall platform to look down at the pansy display. Unfortunately we missed the parade, but there was enough parking in the side streets. We had a really lovely afternoon.

Beautiful park to walk through with the kids. Playground has always been quite busy with older kids so my toddlers haven’t had much of a play, we run around on the grass, smell flowers and pose with all the animal statues instead.

Laurel Bank Park is a beautiful parkland close to Toowoomba's city centre, featuring spectacular manicured gardens, a collection of exotic trees, a playground, picnic area, and croquet greens. Beautiful year-round, but known for its sublime spring displays and avenues of cherry blossoms, it is most magnificent during Carnival of Flowers each September. The park came into being in 1932 when Darling Downs Building Society Managing Director, Mr Samuel George Stephens, donated the land to the people of Toowoomba, with the City Council official custodian. Prior to gifting the land, Mr Stephens improved it with shrubs and flowers, and was known to many as 'the man of flowers'.

This is a small public park in the centre of Toowoomba set in flower filled gardens that is a pivotal place for community events and family activities. There are picnic tables throughout the park as well as a permanent large marquee BBQ area, community events building, sports oval, water conservation ponds, interactive art displays and children's adventure playground with climbing castles, tunnels, walls & activity centre. Annual special events are held at the park including flower displays in the Spring Carnival. There are public amenities, water drinking fountains & on site free parking. The park is easily accessible by bus or a short walk from Grand Central Shopping Centre. A lovely place for your team meeting or lunch break all year round.

Spellbound by beauty ...no wonder 'Better Homes and Gardens' featured these gardens recently on their program.

Lovely place to see during Carnival of Flowers! The gardeners out do themselves with the amount of tulips here! The topiary shapes are so cute too. There's also a train and some teddy bears!
Only downside is the parking. Very difficult to find a park here during Carnival, but there is a Secure Park and Pay that is only a short walk up to the park. Also a coffee shop across the road (Urban Grinders).

Beautiful topiary garden amongst an array of others including vegetables and roses. It rained whilst we were there but that didn't detract from the beautiful setting.

Awesome park with great playground for all ages of children. Toilets are close to the playground and the covered picnic tables with BBQ and water fountain. Large open area nearby even has metal cricket stumps for the family game of cricket after lunch. Lot of shady trees and flowers with an incredible floral display in September for the Carnival of Flowers #COF

A peaceful and engaging place to visit at any time of the year but especially wonderful during The Carnival of Flowers. The mass plantings of cineraria, alyssum, petunias, foxgloves, tulips, and clivea (and much more) combined with hedges, topiary, garden features, and trees provides one of the best garden displays you’ll ever see. A great place to sit or picnic with friends. Fantastic!

A beautiful park especially in September during the Carnival of Flowers. There are plenty of spots for a picnic blanket or grab a picnic table. Options for full sun/part shade/full shade. BBQs, restrooms, playground and plenty of gardens to explore. Full accessibility on paths and a great sensory garden too. Dog-friendly too.

Really spectacular floral displays and other interesting features. I've been once during the festival of flowers so I can't say what it would look outside of this time but I imagine it still looks great as there's plenty of attractive trees, plants and features. It would probably be a great picnic spot.

Our favourite park in Toowoomba. Always beautiful but especially during September. We were married in the Scented Garden here in 1981 ... beautiful then, even more beautiful now.

Beautiful gardens with lots of different flowers to see. The best time to go is September with the carnival of flowers on. Plenty of parking space during the week day
Lots of green areas to have a picnic on the grass. Bbq areas and toilets are close by. There is a playground close by to. Good place for the whole family. Wheelchair friendly as well. Highly recommend going to have a look. 🙂🙂

Really beautiful park with nice winding paths around the vast variety of plants. At flower festival time, the flowers are outstanding and well kept. Food stalls, entertainment with live music and information desk. Plenty of toilets and drinking fountains. Toowoomba should be proud of this park.
Queens Park is a vast and pristine park with many play areas for children, including interactive sections such as pipes to talk in and a hamster wheel. The park also boasts an impressive Botanical Garden that undergoes replanting during Autumn. Additionally, there are beautiful Bunya trees scattered throughout the park where visitors can relax on picnic tables and chairs.
Well maintained, huge park area with a few different playgrounds. They are quite new & have great play equipment. Many toilet blocks throughout the park (could be cleaner). Includes Botanic Gardens.

A large and very well maintained park, equipped with several playgrounds and points of interest. Great for a leisurely stroll and particularly pretty during certain seasons (Spring). Dogs are allowed on leash in the park, although there is an off leash on one side (unfenced). Plenty of pathways to choose from in addition to information boards providing some history of the park and plantations. A few playgrounds, monuments and toilet facilities throughout the park too.
Kerbray — Google review
Undoubtedly this a spectacularly colourful floral park in spring and summer but unavoidably dull in later autumn into winter due to the emptied flower beds. Still, it's peaceful and presents a comfortable environment with big grassy areas and trees, as in Victorian practice, bought in from all over the world. Nicely maintained, there are a number of interesting monuments on display. Most exhibits are labelled, including the introduced trees.

Spectacular as always during September! Fantastic display of simply gorgeous flowers. Lovely listening to music in the park, whilst having a gentle stroll through the park. Wonderful to visit alone, but even better experience if you bring a friend or your dog! The park is dog and bicycle friendly 😊

Acres of well maintained parkland, which includes The Botanical Gardens. All the flower beds are bare in the Autumn months. This is because they replace and replant ready for the Springtime.
Good area for scooters and skateboards and push bikes, with even wide pathways.
A separate area of the park has a large children's playground.
There are interactive sections eg pipes to talk in and play,a hamster wheel flying fox, swings and slides.
Beautiful Bunya Trees, with picnic tables and chairs.

What a beautiful and well kept park. Except for the very stinky skip bin located in one area that had a terrible smell!! But regardless such a beautiful family park but it's user friendly for everyone. Next time we are in town we will be packing a picnic and heading to Queens Park for the morning or afternoon.

During a recent getaway from the "Big Smoke ", my wife & I had the pleasure of spending some quality time in the State Heritage-listed Queens Park & Botanical Gardens located at 43 -73 Lindsay St, Toowoomba QLD 4350.
Known as the Garden City, Toowoomba definitely stamps itself as just that with plenty of open green space in & around the local area's.
We spent a very relaxing time walking through the vast open spaces of the parklands & then onto the magnificent Botanical Gardens. There were plenty of assortments of flowers 💐& plant's for the Summer season.
The council gardening staff are to be commended for the diligent work that they carry out. I just couldn't get over just how clean & tidy the whole place was.
The general public have plenty of access amenities such as public toilets, drinking water fountains & open grassed areas for families to enjoy picnics or just running around with their children.
There is a large Playground located near the Botanical Gardens which definitely caters for energetic children.
There are off leash & leashed areas for for any size dogs 🐕
Queens Park is a hive of activity during the Carnival of Flowers held during the month of September.
Definitely worth ticking this off on your bucket list 👌

Beautiful park at the centre of Toowoomba which is amazing anytime of year. Rare large trees amount to a very unique collection if one takes time to read the plaques on the trees. The park emerges with other parks during September in the city each year to be park of the carnival of flowers event which is great for those who love perennials.

Beautiful park with many of the floral displays from the recent festival still there in the Botanical Garden section.
I love their dog off leash area as it has gardens to explore. No fences but only a dead end quiet street nearby. A couple of watering stations for humans & dogs. & Several seats scattered around some in sun, some in shade.

One of the must-visit places in Toowoomba if you're going as a visitor. We went there during the flower festival so there were lots of flowers and a few food trucks around. One side of the park had markets as well which was very nice and interesting to walk through. There is parking around the park and lots of benches/space to sit down and relax. Beautiful gardens during the flower festival. We stopped near the arch and had lunch courtesy of the historical society. Disappointed not to see anything regarding the Night Garden as seen online, a ferris wheel was operating and a carnival alley at the opposite end of the park outside the botanic gardens.

Cobb+Co Museum is a well-designed historical landmark that showcases the national collection of horse-drawn vehicles as well as local history. Visitors of all ages can enjoy and learn from the exhibits, and there are special events throughout the year. The museum also includes a Kids Science Museum for interactive learning. An impressive cafe and gift shop are available on-site. Additionally, the museum features exhibits that give visitors a glimpse into life in earlier times through carriage displays.
We were sceptical about the museum but were pleasantly pleased by the exhibits. Has a Kids Science Museum that they interact and enjoyed. Great cafe and shop inside.
The carriage exhibits give a memoir into the good olden days..

Visited a few times and love this place. Weekend was quieter than expected, whilst school holidays were busy. Plenty to keep the kids occupied, restaurant food excellent and staff all lovely. Great to see additional activities running for school holidays. As someone from the UK, I’d love to see more information about aboriginal history and culture as a permanent feature as currently there is only one small room. Definitely worth a visit!

This museum is a must see for anyone with even an inkling of historical questions on Australia's early years. All of the wagons, buggies and Sulkies lovingly restored, many in house. A true glimpse into our past. To hear the stories of our past, and personally longing for a return to those simpler days, makes me happy that we can still visit the past. The in house work shops are no joke either! We spoke to a wheelwright who was working on a " 1800's farm ute" to use his words. Rebuilt from little more than a pile of scrap steel and rotten timber, it is truly a sight to behold. Hats of to the staff, it is an amazing place to visit. Highly recommend going to have a look 😊😊.

We attended with our grandchildren and we all had a great time. We attended a science display and learnt about chemical and physical reactions in a fun way. Got to play in the science display and had fun creating a vortex in water, watched electrical sparks travel up between 2 copper pipes and much more. We also watched blacksmiths at work and there is much more to see. Going back to check out the other displays. Also had lunch there and the coffee was good too. Great place to take the children in school holidays!

Nice forest park with a lot of ferns and old trees. Can experience bio diversity than other forests near Toowoomba and Gatton reagoen. Semi tropical tracks with some relatively interesting destinations.
One of the tracks end at lime Rock faces and all the way down to a creek.
No lookouts unfortunately. You're digging in for the majority of the walk. Great track if you'd like to give a track running ago.
If driving from Toowoomba take the Highfields way to go there unless you own a 4WD. The Brisbane highway way leads to 50% of the way on dirt roads.
Search for "Blackbean Day Use Area" as your destination.

Beautiful rainforest and walks just wish there were abit more direction and better mapping our 1.9k walk ended in a 6k walk which was fine for us but not if someone isn’t as fit as us or starts later in the day. Very confusing map highly suggest more signage or even just arrows would be wonderful so we get a sense that we’re going in the right direction.
