Great local information and maps of where to find attractions supplied. Friendly staff member and great information. Public toilets next door. Situated in a lovely spot just up from the stream that goes through town. Very pretty and good to stretch the legs after a long drive 🙂

Awesome people in there so friendly helpful and knowledgeable
Went above and beyond to find what we needed for our type and length of stay
Well done to the 2 that were on the fella and the lady
Thank u so much for a very welcoming insight to the town and surrounds

One of the best tourist information centres we have ever been to!!! Glenn was friendly and knowledgeable on Stanthorpe and the surrounding region and gave us some great locations to check out. Other centres simply gave us a map or brochure. Glenn is a great asset to the centre and we would highly recommend popping in.

A beautiful and peaceful place to sit and read my book with a coffee. Always a friendly wave and hello. My favourite spot.

If you're looking for friendly, local knowledge and advice on what to see and do around Stanthorpe and the surroundingarea, you'd be hard pressed to find nicer, more helpful service anywhere.
And... if you're travelling with your fur baby, don't worry, they're very welcome and may be treated like royalty too.

Beautiful place tonait down with the kids have a picnic and be able to see the wildlife swim around and be them selfs. Town looked clean and people looked well manned and respectful towards outsiders. Definitely would use this place for a wedding reception or just a day out with the family. Such a beautiful spot

Glen was Very helpful and knowledgeable about fossicking and gold hunting around the whole area, great parking, beautiful gardens and opportunities to feed wood ducks.

The volunteer was a huge help in giving us idea of things to do in Stanthorpe. With maps and brochures it helped make our visit as good as it was. Located right next to the park with the giant thermometer.

Really nice, no complaints. You can fish the lake! Nice area for the family and kids to run around. Snacks, drinks and clean facilities. Friendly volounteers. My little one didnt want to leave, restful stop and not bad coffee.

Very glad to have stopped here and popped in for some local information.....two very awesome gents were very helpful, informative and kind, thank you and look forward to touring around while here. Already very much enjoyed some delicious apple pie and great coffee too.
Suttons Juice Factory and Cidery, located just 10 minutes north of Stanthorpe in the town of Southern Downs, is a popular destination for tourists seeking authentic apple pies. The family-owned establishment offers a variety of freshly-baked pies and other goodies, all made with generous servings of flavorful apples. Visitors can also enjoy the cozy atmosphere with indoor seating by the fireplace or outdoor seating in the grassy backyard.
Any visit to Stanthorpe is incomplete without a visit to Sutton's. We have sometimes made the journey to the area just to visit Sutton's and stock up on their amazing apple juices. I also love the amazing hospitality here as well. Everyone is always so friendly, helpful and attentive all the time.
My favourite thing to do is to get scones and a slice of the apple pie and enjoy it in the back garden. The garden is really nice for children to run around and explore.
Malka — Google review
A down to earth cafe and factory on everything apple. The cafe is a simple corner of the shop selling all kinds of apple made products. The apple cider is crisp and the apple juice is most fresh! Highly recommended for a quick stop and a delicious bite.

They serve the freshest and most delicious apple pie ever. Lovely outdoor seating area next to a variety of trees. Worth revisiting during the right season to walk through the orchard.

Absolutely Divine!!!
We also had the apple iced tea, and it was extremely delicious as well.
I really loved the trees out the back with the signage to show where the drinks etc came from.

I was really looking forward to Sutton's. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. Just lower your expectations a bit and you'll be fine. The seving of apple pie is massive, so consider going halves with someone. The pie itself is disappointing. The side ice cream, amazing. The backyard dining is cute among different fruit trees. The pricing is inconsistent and expensive.
Belinda Walker — Google review
We shared a large bottle of ginger flavoured apple juice with plastic cups provided free.
We then shared three different apple slices with delicious ice cream and dollops of cream.
Best breakfast in a long time!
Apple juice on sale way cheaper than other outlets so could not resist buying more.

Suttons is such a lovely little spot for a morning or afternoon tea- it’s such a cute little place with lots of trees and seating. The apple pie was incredible, and the apple cider ice cream paired so well with it! And the staff were very helpful in telling us about all the products!
Amber Engstrom — Google review
Amazing gluten free chicken & veg pie! Don’t think I’ve eaten a pie in 10 years after I became gluten intolerant… what a moment ;) Ask for salt & pepper as they’re not on the tables.
Looking forward to the GF Apple slice I’ll take for the drive!
It’s beautiful to sit in the back garden with all the fruit trees & chooks up the end. Really peaceful break in the long drive.

Highly recommended place to sample local produce. The apple pie has to be tasted to be believed. Best we have ever had.
Don Cunningham — Google review
On return to Stanthorpe, Sutton’s is always a must-do. The home-baked apple pie and other goodies are just so flavourful and loaded with apples that it’s impossible to say no. Their servings are generous and it certainly helps when you get the apple cider ice cream to help it go down. There’s quite a bit in store to check out, as well as the occasional taste test. Ginger-apple juice is really great 👍🏻.
There’s a fireplace indoors in the shed/cafe and there’s outdoor seating in the grassy back yard.

The Famous Sutton's Apple Pie is not good at all. Very disappointed after travelling a long way to buy my birthday cake. Taste and texture was not nice, cost was exorbitant $65 for a family size pie.
We watch a doco on the farm and was impressed and thought we'll support the Aussie farm when next heading that way.
Big disappointment, sorry I have to be honest.
Jo Heard — Google review
Nice little cafe next to a farm. Incredible apple juices and the apple pie was amazing. Out back there are a bunch of different fruit trees

A favourite place for meals and those desserts!! I can recommend everything and keep going back because it makes delicious food and beverages served by friendly staff with lots of good stuff to share and take home too. Get a bottle or a case of apple juice or other items from their plentiful pantry and gift area. This really is a must for a visit when travelling through or taking friends around the Stanthorpe area.
Colette Quelhurst — Google review
Highly recommend stopping in here, Would be great if they extended their pet friendly section to put the back also, not just the small front "dog parking" section they have. They have some amazing produce, would recommend you try some of their liqueurs. There are multiple food options but make sure you save room for the apple pie! Even the ice cream they serve with the fresh house made apple pie is amazing. Wish they sold it in tubs!!!
Chris Hardstaff — Google review
A must - do when visiting Stanthorpe. See the workings of the factory and enjoy a coffee and a slice of the famous apple pie.
Lissa McCallum — Google review
The very best Apple pie I have ever had, fresh whipped cream would have been the only thing I would have changed *heavy cream. Not a fan of cream in a can. The ice cream that accompanied was so delicious, well worth the stop.

Absolutely great fun and not just for the kiddies. Our group of 9 adults had a ball completing the maze and the riddles and became very competitive (as you do). Unfortunately, we ran out of time for the putt putt golf but would definitely visit again when we are back.
Vanessa D — Google review
A lot of fun running around to find the clues in the maze. Well run place. The colourful paintwork and silly signs give it a lift.
The bag inspection on entry to check we aren’t bringing food in (or glass) is a bit over the top. Leaves a bad taste when kid-focused places insist on you buying their food that might not suit your family, especially when you’re already paying $62 entry (2 kids and 2 adults)
Louise W — Google review
Sensational experience. Local
Gem. Small but cute. Do it on a cool day or morning not on a hot steamy summers day. 😉
Roku — Google review
Kids (8 and 7) loved the mazes and mini golf. The riddle solving adds an extra bit of excitement to the large maze; and the smaller mazes are a great warm up. Highly recommend for families. Super clean and well kept. Lovely owners.
Amanda van Keimpema — Google review
Our family really enjoyed the Granite Belt Maze. The owners were very friendly. There is in fact three mazes to go in. The main large maze was really well set out. What we enjoyed the most was the riddles we had to solve. This was done by finding the dead ends and deciphering a code. We really enjoyed this twist on maze walking. The other two mazes were smaller with special short cuts only our daughter could get through, which she really loved. Also a nine hole mini golf course was included in the entrance fee. All in all we had a great experience.
Geordie Lavers-McBain — Google review
The kids had fun but there’s things that just leave a bad taste and make us not want to return. 1. They don’t let anyone in unless you pay full price… I am pregnant and unwell and wanted to sit and wait for my sister/husband and the kids but was told no, had to pay, so I sat in the car park and then went for a drive.
I noticed other parents in the car park too which is ridiculous. Also, the bag search to make sure you don’t bring food and drink is ridiculous… it’s a tiny ‘amusement’ park so clearly just after more money. Even inside they only had 1 sausage roll and 1 pie.
Easy solutions.. give wristbands to people that pay and have a seating area inside.
Ditch the bag checks!
Also for a family of 4 it will set you back nearly $70 which is also ridiculous for a tiny maze and basic mini golf.
Klc — Google review
What a little gem! A must do with kids if you visit the Granite Belt. Three fun mazes, mini golf and lovely gardens. The funny signs show the owners have a great sense of humour. Picnic tables available and snacks and mains can be purchased in the kiosk.
Davinia Munn — Google review
Enjoyed this with the kids. The big maze isn't that hard to navigate, but they've made it more interesting by getting you to solve one of many riddles using letters found at the dead ends. Kids loved that so much we each did 2 riddles. Putt putt was challenging enough for kids and adults. Enjoyed the funny signs and photo spots like a guillotine and stocks.
Andrew Cowin — Google review
Was lots of fun with the kids (18, 16, 13). Had a crack at the maze for about 1 hour, collecting all the clues to riddles, plus we found the exit! Few fun photo props plus a smaller maze and playground for younger children. Entry includes a game of putt putt golf which was a lot of fun. Small canteen available for food and drinks. Only allowed to take in water, all other food and drinks must be purchased from their Cafe. We ate before entering as no real gluten free option other than hot chips.
Clean amenities and friendly staff. Allow 2 -3 hours to enjoy all the facilities.
Narelle Upton — Google review
Great place, beautiful gardens and good fun! The staff were very friendly and great to chat too on a quiet day.
Kyia Bourne — Google review
Fun little stop for a maze and min golf. Maze is helped by doing the riddle and solving the puzzle. My friends (adult females) had a good laugh getting lost.
We did both the maze and the mini golf in about 1.5-2 hours for a group of 5.
Mini golf is very mini, but still a laugh and something a bit different than the usual in the area.
Chanelle Wheeler-Jones — Google review
Great wooden maze with puzzles to solve that will keep the whole family entertained; there is also 2 more smaller mazes for kids and mini golf ; thoroughly enjoyable!
Rodd Foster — Google review
Great maze for all the family. Set on 3 acres. With 3 mazes. 2 smaller ones for children and a larger one for the whole family. The large one comes with a riddle. You need to navigate the maze to solve the riddle. Lots of fun. There is also a mini golf course. There is a lovely garden area where you can have lunch or snacks bought from the on-site Cafe. There are a variety of birds there including Apostle Birds and Satin Bower Bird. Your hosts, Craig and Sandra are friendly and welcoming. Well worth a visit.
Janelle Kamnerdkan — Google review
Great for people of all ages as there is lots to see and do there. The only negatives were that on such a warm day there was nowhere to have a little rest in the big maze (I did mention this to the staff at the end) and not dog friendly, so someone missed out. Otherwise great place to visit.

364 Old Warwick Rd, Glen Niven QLD 4377, Australia
Great piece of Australian Southern Downs History.
Walk inside and there’s an instant silence and chill in the rooms compared to the warmth of the hallway! At one point we heard the piano softly sound from the other room! There’s a fee to explore but it’s worth it to help keep the homestead in condition. Great to visit on the way back from Warwick.
Chris Goodall — Google review
It is a beautiful old building, with absolutely gorgeous views across the plains towards Cunningham's Gap. Unfortunately the building is in a state of much needed repair. The walls and ceiling are full of huge cracks and holes. It actually felt unsafe walking around inside ☹ I'm glad we decided to visit but probably won't go again.
Sharon Steward — Google review
Amazing looking property, loved reading about the history but the main reason for the stop was a small bite to eat on the way through. Wife and I both grabbed a sandwich, would have to be one the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. I went for the club sandwich which was huge and the house made pickles on it are divine. Would recommend people stop here and try the club sandwich!!! They do have many other options but I would definitely order the same thing again. And a great view to top it off. Oh, and the wife says the coffee here is great too.

As a child, I always wondered about the big, derelict house standing alone in the countryside. What a pleasure it was to return as an adult and experience the amazing restoration work which has brought this grand old lady back to life. Well worth a visit to learn about the history of this place and the people who lived there.

Had an amazingly good experience at Glengallan.
This place has a very interesting story.
So much history to learn about and to see.
Excellent conservation and restoration of the old homestead with knowledgeable staff willing to explain in more depth.
Also, the High Tea brunch is absolutely yummy.

Absolutely loved it! The historic homestead is fascinating. The staff are just awesome. The food was a bit so-so, just don't expect much. But the location and the whole picture made up for it. Highly recommend.

Delicious filo and salad for lunch followed by a wander through the old stone house. It’s fabulous to read the boom to bust history of the 1800’s. There is a little history of the previous indigenous peoples but pity we don’t know more. Definitely worth visiting.
Geri Haydon — Google review
This is a beautiful original homestead that has been partially restored by volunteers. There is a lot of history both in and around the homestead as well as in the lovely coffee shop. We enjoyed a yummy high tea celebrating a birthday. Highly recommend.

This review is of the cafe.
We drove over from Toowoomba to experience the cafe here at the Glengallan Homestead - we'd heard nothing but raving reviews.
We weren't disappointed. There are panoramic views from the large windows, with clean neat tables and chairs.
The menu choices are not extensive but what is on offer is absolutely delicious.
Highly recommend this cafe for morning tea and lunches.

First I nearly went past this treasure, not because of the signage but because I was time poor. I decided to go and the decision provided to be a great one. The staff were absolutely amazing, friendly, efficient and they allowed me to bring my dog in (on leash). The staff let me know they hat cats around so watch the dog. The food was absolutely beautiful, the amenities were clean and the treasure trove of information there was fantastic! If you are considering visiting, don't hesitate, it's worth the visit and the prices were great, food was belly topping!

We loved our visit to Glengallan Homestead. Very interesting reading about the local history of days gone by and journeying back in time wandering through the homestead with it’s beautifully restored rooms. The cafe was a air conditioned and the service friendly and attentive. Highly recommend a day out to coincide with morning or afternoon tea to try the homemade scones.

Glengallan Station, 18515 New England Hwy, Glengallan QLD 4370, Australia
Hiking trails through granite boulder clusters & eucalyptus forest, with summit views of Queensland.
A must do if you are in the area. We drove from Casino and it was definitely worth the couple of hours drive. The view is magnificent and the granite formations are stunning. Photo opportunities around every corner. If you are fit - and game - going up the rock face and coming down via the back track (Bungoona Walk) was a great way to do the summit for the diversity of scenery and formations.

It's a splendid walk from the parking area to the top of Bald Rock. The parks staff have done a great job tidying up after the bushfires. Nature is taking its course and vegetation is greening up everything. We did the long track to the top not the short, steep climb. Lots of wildflowers out.
Martin Witchard — Google review
What an awe-inspiring little hike; I totally loved this! You can be bold and brave and head straight up the rock face or you can take the gentle route to the Summit via the Bungoona track. Either way the views are simply stunning. About 3km in total. Truly, it's nature at her best. Easily accessible via the New England Highway and ample parking with toilets and picnic facilities.
annette keogh — Google review
Limited number of camp sites makes it nice and quiet. Tons of shade. Walking trails very close and the actual climb is achievable by people with even below average mobility and fitness. Picnic tables on every site and several water taps.
Andrew Rumayar — Google review
An amazing view, a good work out climbing to the top via the face. It is up there with amazement thats for sure. Very big like Uluru.
Mary-Ellen Peters — Google review
An incredible sight, well worth the visit. The drive alone is fun (Mount Lindesay Road is epic across its entire considerable length) but even if it wasn't, this is a must see destination and walk up to the summit.

The hike is so worth it, and the memories I have of this place take me back to much simpler days. I hope in the future they don't remove access to hikes for the public as I would go bezerk. Thanks for all the awesome memories ya big granite rock.
Grand Duke Elliott — Google review
Up there with the best views in Australia, we had the entire mountain to ourselves on a weekday afternoon and watched the sun set from the summit. 45° incline to get to the top, but no more than 3km return from car to summit. Very worth the steep walk.
Reis M — Google review
Love this rock. It's huge! Fun to climb and explore. Surrounded by attractive bushland dotted with granite boulders and views to distant mountains. Quiet camping area and lots of tracks to walk or ride bikes. Lots of wildlife. Good access to rock for all levels of fitness. Take care on road to avoid hitting wallabies and roos as they're everywhere.
Donna Duffy — Google review
Bald Rock is amazing for the fact it starts about 300m from the carpark. The slab to walk up while steep is extremely grippy, though I would not recommend doing this in the wet.
This is achievable for people of most fitness levels, I've seen many families with small kids go up, but you just have to take your time, even if it's take 10 steps and have a break.
I would not recommend this to unfit elderly, or those with poor moment as it is sightly uneven terrain.
Once you've climbed the slab it's maybe 1km of walking a relatively flat path to the Cairn making your final destination.
I love this one is so quick and easy, great to take you non-hiking friends.
Hal Lee — Google review
Amazing spot, short hike with huge payoff views, we drove all the way from the Gold Coast, and it was a spectacular end destination. A beautiful national park, big trees and plenty of wild life.
The hikes themselves are short and steep but because the landscape is so flat around the park you can see for miles all around.

Beautiful location, wonderful park and place to camp. Camp kitchen and bathroom facilities were great, and available when needed, never really had to wait even though we stayed over the busiest weekend, Easter.
Birds everywhere to feed, lush green surrounds, and the waterfall was a short walk, easy for the kids.
Great to have firewood delivered and coffee at the Cafe in the morning. A great place to camp if you want to experience camping or caravan, without it being crazy difficult. Just nice to get away and get the kids off, of electronics and running around.
The owners are fantastic, they helped us out of a real bind with another place, finding room for us to camp, when they were full. We're forever grateful for their kindness.
Couldn't recommend more highly.

The owners and staff were so friendly and made us feel like family. I highly recommend this place to everyone, from experienced campers to beginners. We had an amazing time.
I will definitely be going there again! It is such a beautiful place that you keep going back Trust me it awesome place you won't regret it.

We stayed 4 nights here and really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the place. A great place to rest, get away from the world. Take a couple of books and the falls around provide exercise, fresh air, peace and the great scenery. If you are taking the kids there pack games for indoor and outdoor , so much space to play. Camp host Allan was very helpful, always busy keeping it a great place to stay. Loved our getaway.

Spent a night in a cabin with my son and grandson - a boy's only getaway. The cabin was great for us with enough space and well equipped. The amenities block and camp kitchen are well equipped and very clean. The park-like grounds are scenic and very suited to children's play. Bird feeding of rosellas and king parroys is another attraction for kids. And the impressive falls are only a short walk away. The management and staff are very friendly. I was very impressed that when a fortnight earlier I had to cancel my booking on the morning we were due to arrive because of illness I was not charged anything. We will certainly be back!!

We had a family get together Australia Day weekend, (2 campsites) we’d been twice before and loved everything about the caravan park with native birds galore, possums and wallabies. This time, communication was minimal in making the booking, only 3 rosellas in campsite all weekend to feed, no possums and a couple of wallabies hanging around. Campsite were excavated the morning before we arrived which was good until the rain Saturday night/Sunday morning, what a bog hole to pack up in. Sorry, disappointed, won’t be back again, unfortunately.

We only stopped at the Cafe so can't comment on the rooms or the Caravan Park.
I must admit to having the best hamburger ever. It had everything a burger should have on it including beetroot & grated carrot. I added bacon but honestly it didn't need it. Better half had a homemade spicy nachos which he devoured. Sorry can't add a photo as we ate it all before thinking of other people.
The bird life and gardens create the perfect mountain atmosphere.
Staff were welcoming and friendly. Fast service even though it was busy.

My husband and I got married at Kooroomba a few weeks ago, and we had the most perfect day imaginable.
Not only is the venue absolutely stunning (we had so many compliments from guests on how beautiful it was), but the food, wine and service was incredible.
Tammy was our coordinator, and she was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She took the time to get to know us and ran through everything with us in detail at our planning meeting and was so amazing on the day! Tammy answered any questions we had in the lead up to the wedding promptly and professionally. It was also a huge help that she set up all of the table decorations for us which I supplied.
We can’t get over how beautiful Kooroomba is in our photos! Thank you for the most perfect wedding day we could ask for.

Again, food and venue are very nice, price is not the highest but not the cheapest. Service: staff really needs better training, as they don't even know what the menu is, and definitely have no attention to details. We need to ask for the same thing 3 times before getting it.
The sparkling wine is delicious, but if you get a bottle to take away is $28 and if you ask for the same bottle at lunch, it's $45.
You can also have a tasting wine at the bar, for only $10. It's worthy!
So guys, improve the service and you will be a 5*!!

We had the opportunity to dine at the restaurant and it was fantastic. The food was presented so well and the quality of the product and the taste was top notch. I would go back to enjoy this any day of the week! Book in advance!
Great vibe and restaurant!

A beautiful fine dining experience. Lavender ice cream was yum! Note that as of this review the actual menu prices have gone up an extra 10% or so but not reflected on their website. Reservations are a must as seating is limited and usually booked out.

Nice for a wine tasting / lunch but the food was fancy but not well done fancy, wines are amazing, the venue is great for a very secluded wedding even though it is 2 hours ish from the gold coast each way. The view of the border ranges is 8.5/10 scenic

My partner and I spent all afternoon here, we were watching the storm roll in over the hills with a great bottle of their Cab Sauv. The lavender farm itself is so beautiful and we were fortunate enough to see it on full bloom. Highly recommend enjoying a beautifully cooked meal here, the chef really knows what he is doing and the experimental flavours are simply divine. We will be back, time and time again!

Lovely welcoming staff. Walk through the building and the tranquil view awaits you. Pull up and table and order a drink or coffee from the bar. The BEST freshly baked, lavender infused scones I've ever tasted served with generous helping of strawberry jam and lavender infused REAL CREAM ! Absolutely delicious. Worth the one hour drive from home on their own.
The lavender while still flowering was past its peak ( August is best), the vines were just beginning to bud but the view is always there. A lovely spot. We'll be back.

One of the best vineyards we’ve visited in Australia. Great views from the dining areas. There is a superb pavilion for the couples looking for a venue.
We did the wine tasting and ended up with a bottle of Chardonnay to consume while watching the scenery overlooking the vineyard.
Do look to spend a few hours here. Lots of photo opportunities for the budding and experienced social media posters.

We had the most lovely country outing yesterday and enjoyed a suburb lunch at Kooroomba. The food was fantastic and the venue was stunning. It was an absolute delight to watch the misty rain clouds slowly encircling the mountains and kangaroos lazily moving through the vineyard. From every seat at our table the view was incredible. I have already been recommending Kooroomba to my friends.

This is the second time that we have been to Kooroomba and it didn't disappoint. Once again the food was delicious and the staff were fantastic. We were lucky enough to have the perfect day with the weather and enjoyed strolling around the property. Loved the extra large swing, I could sit there all day and enjoy the views. Even said hello to the chickens😊 We will be back for our next visit soon

A beautiful place for a special lunch.
Amazing views! Great food & service. A must have is the freshly made sourdough bread. Delicious!
We enjoyed our scallops entree. Husband had the venison & I had quail with potato & cauliflower sides. All tasty. The potatoes were a little dry.
It’s been quite a few years since we dined here & if anything the food has improved.
We could sit & look at the views all day!

We got married here start of May and it was fantastic. From organising to the actual day was so well planned. Hats off to Tammy who was absolutely awesome.
The venue has 360° perfect views and the chapel is beautiful and a perfect place for a ceremony.
Reception at the restaurant worked really well...only thing was the size of the main meal was on the smaller side. Not what we've had there before. But apart from that it's definitely the best place to get married. It's also worth a day trip out there.

We got married at Kooroomba Lavender Farm and we could not recommend it enough to anyone! The venue is breathtaking, the food is amazing and the staff were incredible. Big shout out to Heidi who coordinated everything for our wedding. She was so organised and ensured everything on the day ran smoothly. I didn’t have to stress about anything! I’m so glad we choose this venue for our special day

Recently visited for the first time to celebrate two birthdays in the family. The ambience was laidback and classy, service was impeccable, menu will have you salivating, and the lavender scent in the air whilst wandering through the fields was inspiring! Highly recommend as a day trip out of the city.

My two friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Kooroomba. Our waiter was attentive, professional and warm, and the food was absolutely delicious and excellent value for money. We also received a complementary wine tasting (all of the white wines were beautiful). We will definitely be coming back. Thank you Kooroomba staff.

We got married here in November and cannot rave about it enough. Heidi and all the team were absolutely amazing and made the whole day and lead up stress free. From having the vendors to the decorations all coordinated by the Kooroomba team to the most delicious food, everything was just perfect. We had multiple international and interstate guests who couldn't get over how beautiful the location was, and just how versatile the venue was with having access to the dining room, courtyard and dancefloor.
Could honestly not be happier with how it turned out. 10/10

After a 2 hour drive to come here, we arrived at 2:36pm to find out the kitchen was closed. After not being treated well by one member of staff, thankfully the manager made us feel comfortable by offering something that was readily available. Due to beautiful scenery and effort from manager they managed to redeem themselves. We’d love to come back within kitchen time to eat properly here next time.

Such a well maintained park, amazing walking tracks and an absolutely breathtaking view. I was amazed how much wildlife there was when camping at Sheepstation Creek, Pademelons were playing around the camp grounds until dawn, and the birds were very curious and would come sit in the tree close to us. AMAZING!!!

This is such a beautiful drive up to the rainforest. We did the Bringle Creek walk and Red Cedar Loop walk, which were both short and easy walks to do with the young kids. They had a lot of fun on the natural vine swings and looking at all the big trees. Bring your swimmers and have a dip in the beautiful water.

Wonderful national park for day trips and overnight camping (online booking), with both family friendly and challenging walks through the rainforests, as well as spectacular lookout views. $8 park fee payable (exact change required). Brindle Creek loop is a good short 1km family friendly walk across wooden foot bridges; the kids love climbing over tree roots and mossy stones. Blackbutt Lookout is easily accessible, within steps from parking. Pinnacle Lookout (300m walk) is also breathtaking, but not for the faint hearted. There are sheer cliff drops and not fully fenced along the whole track, so you must keep an eye on younger children. Two good camping spots available and can be booked online.

What a wonderful weekend. Staff are amazing. The park surrounds beautiful, clean, and relaxing. The other campers were friendly, and noise after 10pm is non-existent. Love the park. Took my children there 25 years ago, and we will be going again with the grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Only an hour from Nerang. Great spot, great hosts, has toilets (no showers), a creek to swim in, playground, cheap firewood, oval for kicking the ball, loads of different type of sites to choose the best spot for you!

Darlington Park was a great place to get away from it all. Caretakers obviously work hard to maintain the ammenities and grounds. Coffee van sat & sun mornings is a great idea. Plenty of open space so your not crammed in. Just a pity about the single lane road section heading out after Kerry as it had some sharp looking edges, but that’s a matter for the council. Some sections have been upgraded so it is improving.

I bought one Panama Berry and two Mandarin trees from Daleys, my trees are happily growing as seen in the pictures. Daleys packaged the trees carefully and they were well protected when I received the healthy plants. Can't wait till they start to grow fruits. Outstanding and friendly customer service from Daleys. They keep you informed about your order. Looking forward to buying more trees from them.

Interesting for a short visit. The range of plants is extensive and if it's not out on show you can probably order it. I was a little disappointed with the retail stock having expected to see healthier / robust plants for sale. Their online store is comprehensive and I've always been pleased with the quality when I've bought through it. The nursery stock, not so much.

I love going to Daley’s Fruit Tree Nursery. The staff are very helpful and friendly and they have such a fantastic selection of fruit trees, Australian bush tucker and rainforest plants. I always go home inspired to garden with a beautiful variety of plants.
Their plant stock is of really good quality and they seem to thrive.
Would highly recommend visiting them in store, you never know what treasure you might discover!

I have used Daley's for serveral years and found their stock, service and care to be exceptional. I recently bought a cinammon tree from them after wanting one for some time!
They have an incredible range of plants, many of which are difficult to source elsewhere. There are great growing tips, videos and comments from people who have previously bought and grown the listed plants, on their website. Plants arrive well packaged and I've never had a bad delivery or damaged plant (but I know they offer to replace within 3 weeks if there are damages en route). Faultless service.

I have been buying my fruit trees from Daleys for 30 years now. Today I bought some more ‘orphaned’ plants from the nursery and the experience was as good as the first. I like the vast range of tropical fruit trees and always find a surprise or uncommon tree to take home from the discount aisles.

WOW! My first time ordering plants online and it was a fantastic experience with Daleys. Perfectly packaged and safely delivered in a very short time. My henna plant is thriving and I am not even a plant expert. Been wanting one for so long as the chemical hair dyes were causing lots of hair loss for me. Looking forward to getting more of these once they are in stock again

Always have a great experience with Daley's Nursery. Easy to order, the plants arrive in good condition & I haven't had one fail yet on being transferred into the garden.
But my thumbs up is for the cardboard pot. The plant arrived in beautifully moist soil & the pot can go into my compost. I hope other nurseries take up this eco-friendly innovative idea.

I have recently tried ordering from Daleys for the first time and have been really impressed. The plants have strong and healthy and really well packed. The blueberries have taken off and gone from strength to strength. I was expecting the pitomba's to be very slow growing plants but they have had several new flushes of growth. No they haven't grown a lot in height but they arrived strong and I couldn't have hoped for a better start.
Days are not a traditional nursery. I have emailed them and their response was fast and very helpful. A great range of plants that are often harder to find or cultivars which are difficult to obtain.

An outstanding environmentally aware business. Very healthy plants arrive promptly and in sturdy cardboard pots with detailed instructions. I have been buying from Daley’s for over a decade and they never disappoint. Highly recommended range of native fruit bearing trees.

Plants arrived safe and sound. Very well packed so healthy and undamaged - all exactly as expected. I would highly recommend for those hard to get fruit trees for us isolated people in Perth! I forgot to take pictures before planting out most of them but should show the health as its the same day they arrived. Look for the yellow tags (note some are dormant so not too many leaves). Thanks Daley's!

Over a three year period we’ve established a small food forest with hugely diverse plant exclusively from Daley’s nursery. Almost everything has grown successfully and we’ve already had small but tasty crops from some of the more precocious fruiting varieties within the first year! The stock is vigorous and healthy and the friendly service and advice is always spot on. Check out Daley’s YouTube videos which are peppered with good propagation and maintenance advice over many species.

We spent a lovely day at Gummies. We booked a groupon 1/2 day horse riding tour and boomerang throwing and whip cracking. The horses were healthy and in good condition. 5 kids aged 6,7,8,9&10 and 2 adults, Gummies catered to us perfectly. Our kids had a great experience with home made damper for morning tea. Good value for money, especially for a different experience for school holidays. We spent a whole 1 hour riding, including trotting which made my kids day. It was at a slow and gentle pace which suits our kids ages and experience. The staff were chatty and welcoming.

This is a wonderful experience to introduce to young people. Horse rising, cow milking, boomerang throwing, whip cracking and feeding the goats.
The horses were chosen according to the person. My daughter had a placid perfectly paced horse. She was scared at the beginning ( 6 yrsold) but the guides made her feel very comfortable. It was just a genuinely nice ride.
Animals were well fed. I would have given 5 stars but I really thought that the manager whilst there could have possibly made a bit more of an effort to make things a bit more tidier. I wasn’t expecting a palace as I know it’s a farm however maybe just a little better managed with the cleaning side of things.the overall appearance.

Located in the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area, Springbrook National Park has a waterfall and magical underground glow worm cave which lights up at night. The park is also home to a colony of frogs and koalas. Short trails offer visitors views of the natural bridge, waterfall, and cave.
An absolute must visit if you are on the Gold Coast. A relatively easy walk on a sealed path. There are amenities which a couple of picnic tables. Adequate car parking with access on a sealed road.
Take your time on the walk and you may see some of the local wildlife.
The falls a beautiful from above and below and also from within the cave. The cave is home to glow worms but we didn't see any although there were quite a few bats.

From the parking lot we entered the trail and made our way down to the waterfall. In the cave you will find some bats and there are eels in the basen you can see then swimming around! It is a short hike and will only take you 30 mins to get there and back.

Nice but short. The area was well kept and provided some premium public facilities. The walk was nice, but very short. I went super early in the morning to dodge the crowd. The best place I've visited in the recent times. I've been there in the afternoon and it was the best time to visit and I loved the greenery there as it rained the previous day and it looked more greener. The trek till the last was amazing and the walk through the woods was so so good and it is a lovely thing for nature lovers and walkers. There was a small waterfall flowing through it with a small cave. The path was beautifully constructed without causing any damage to the nature.
There was even a cafe food truck at the entrance and the coffee there was amazing.

Absolutely stunning during the day lots of water flowing sounded great. Wish we were allowed to swim hahah but if you come during the night you get to see the awesome glow worms. PLEASE DONT LET YOUR KIDS HAVE TORCHES BECAUSE THEY WILL SHINE LIGHT ON THEM. It's harmful and ruins the experience for everyone else.

Absolutely gorgeous place! Not that long of a walk but plenty to see. You get to see the view of the waterfall from both top and bottom. And even go inside the cave. At night time there are glow worms and bats. Didn’t get a chance to see them but is on the list next time we visit. Has plenty of parking spots and there’s even toilets before you start your walk. Signage said that there are often snakes and bush turkeys. we enjoyed the experience, however heaps of tourists that spent a lot of time in the road taking photos so you will have to be patient or go super early when there’s fewer people.

This is a great little walk through some beautiful rainforest and creek scenery. Natural bridge itself is a very photogenic volcanic feature created by the flowing stream that has shaped the area. Try and get here as early as possible, this is a very popular place and can feel crowded. Toilet facilities available.

Enchanting Experience at Natural Bridge - Home to Glow-Worms and Beyond
I recently visited Natural Bridge, and the experience surpassed all expectations. The lush rainforest setting creates a magical atmosphere, and the highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the glow-worms. Witnessing these bioluminescent creatures illuminating the cave walls was a mesmerizing and otherworldly encounter.
The delicate ecosystem, adding depth to the overall experience. The knowledgeable guides shared fascinating facts about the flora and fauna, making the journey not only visually stunning but also intellectually enriching.
The attention to conservation efforts is commendable. The responsible management ensures minimal impact on the environment, allowing visitors to appreciate the beauty of Nature while preserving it for future generations.
Aside from the glow-worms, the Natural Bridge offered a variety of walking trails, each unveiling unique facets of the rainforest. The well-maintained paths and informative signage make exploring the area both enjoyable and educational.
The facilities, including clean restrooms and well-placed seating areas, contributed to a comfortable visit. The site's commitment to accessibility is noteworthy, making it inclusive for all visitors.
In conclusion, Natural Bridge is a gem nestled in the heart of nature. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a photographer, or someone seeking a serene escape, this destination offers a perfect blend of beauty and biodiversity. It's an experience that lingers in memory, leaving you with a profound appreciation for the wonders of the natural world. Highly recommended!

There's not any picnic spots at the Falls itself. We didn't see any tables.
But it's a beautiful easy enough walk for able bodied people.
I saw lots of younger kids on this walk. It was quite busy.
We saw bats. And Pademelons.
The moss was very cool.

This waterfall near the Gold Coast is one of the best in the area. You can venture into a cave beneath the falls and even walk behind the cascading water. Being close to the water, you'll feel its powerful force. Additionally, the hike to the falls isn't too challenging, making the experience truly remarkable.

So good easy hike around the circuit and the views were excellent loads to see along the way. There was miniature mushrooms, fungi , caves views and awesome water falling. We even saw a python drinking water wow.
Purling Brook Falls is a nature reserve located in the Springbrook National Park, about 50 minutes drive from Surfers Paradise. It is one of the few locations on this list where you will need your own car to reach it. The park features beautiful falls, eucalypt forest, suspension bridge, lookouts and superb Purligbrook Falls. There are several tracks through the park including a popular hiking track that visits Purling Brook Falls.
Had great weather to explore this amazing Waterfall. The stairs can be a challenge if you are not ready for them but completely worth the effort.
Looking up at the Purling Brook Falls from the bottom is just breath-taking, there was even people swimming in the bottom of the falls. We did not take our swimmers.
Take comfy shoes and plenty of water and enjoy the views.

Highly recommend this hike. As someone who grew up locally, Purling Brook falls is honestly one of the harder hikes to do in terms of reaching the waterfall base, but it's worth the trip.
The trail meanders through stunning nature, allowing you to take in the diverse native subtropical flora and maybe even a sighting of a few birds, blue tongue lizards or land mullets!
You get gorgeous views over the range and there's periodic watering holes filled with fresh, cool mountain water to keep you feeling comfortable on your trek.
I'd highly recommend this hike for anyone looking at experiencing quintessential Gold Coast Hinterland natural beauty.

It's a relatively easy hike with stairs. We wouldn't consider ourselves cardio heavy people and found it easy. Saw lots of children around 5 years old doing it. If you have mobility issues maybe not for you. Trail can be muddy. The waterfall was beautiful and refreshing on a hot day. Bring bug spray

Beautiful hike. I recommend bringing a swim suit to swim at the bottom! Be sure to do the hike clockwise. Took my mom and I 2 hours. Isn’t super strenuous, pretty moderate. Definitely recommend this hike. Waterfall is like none other this close to the gc!

Have now hiked this a number of times and never disappoints. Is only an hour and 45 from Brisbane and if you get here after the rain the falls are usually epic. An easy hike overall and if you do counter-clockwise you get a good stair workout at the end ;)

It is little piece of heaven on Earth. Amazing 1 hour and 15 minutes circuit of hiking. Offers great views. Ample car park on the top from where you start hike and had 2 view points, one of each side of waterfall. A must visit.

Absolutely amazing experience! Even when it was raining, we stayed in, played games and had a fire inside. If you’re looking for the perfect weekend away to unwind and disconnect this is the place! The markets were beautiful and a stunning little girl who was only 10 was singing! The fudge shop is to die for! The coffee at all places up there is incredible. We stayed in a little Yurt, and it was an unforgettable experience

Nice easy hike through a beautiful forest. Great view from the look out. Bush Turkeys are around the park. We saw a large one and half meter python at the look out, very cool. Plenty of parking and not very busy, which was nice. Worth a visit.

A beginner friendly track with beautiful waterfalls (we followed the 6km track). Parking can be a challenge during the holidays, so please plan ahead and arrive early. It had rained the day before, so we were lucky to capture the rainbow at the base of the falls. Stunning!
Sally Le — Google review
This was one of the best tracks that we have done so far. It’s about 4km return and takes around 2hours to get to the circuit. But totally worth it for the spectacular view down there.
It’s about 6km return if you need to visit the Warringa pool circuit.
Prepare yourself for a muddy, slippery track if it rains. Plenty of parking available. ✌️

Mixed bag, really.
We walked to waterfall, coming back other way.
Total distance ~ 9.5 km
Dislikes:
Some work going on nearby, noise of saws and putrid exhaust fumes present on trail.
You may feel unsafe in quite few spots - narrow trail, no barriers from sharp falling terrain. I definitely don't advise taking young kids with you.
Some stone steps rather difficult to negotiate, no hand rails, steep.
Tripping hazards all the way, plenty of palm seeds in places, making it easy to sleep, too.
And... public toilet near carpark in really bad shape, putrid smell around it so bad, we actually moved our car away 🥴
Likes:
Glorious views, beautiful natural spot - we don't regret driving there from Brisbane, quite an experience.
People in nearby cafe really friendly, great coffee.
Overall - not for kids or seniors, we are in late 60s and our old joints took a beating 🤪 but we are glad we could see it.

We stumbled across this spectacular location today, after visiting the Natural Arch. I've seen some falls, and vista's in my time, but this place beats them all. If the view of the falls isn't enough, the valley's expance across ancient forest is mind blowing... we didn't walk the 2 hr loop track, only cheating to glimpse the falls, but have vowed to return one day to complete the trip.
Andrew Karl — Google review
This place was amazing.. we got there about 10.15am and we were still able to get a park easily and everything is well signed and you can get a beautiful view of the Falls from the top almost immediately and then it was an easy hike down to the bottom and we spent quite awhile there.. it was magic. Then another pretty easy hike back up the other side (45 minutes total walking time) there is a sign at the beginning that tells you to walk clockwise otherwise you will have like 400+ stairs to walk up on the way out 😳 but honestly can't think of anything bad... they had toilets and heaps of picnic tables/ BBQs and grassy spots to sit or play. We had a fantastic day 😀

The most magnetic waterfall I have seen so far. There are trees on the path which I would estimate to be 40+ meters tall and hundreds of years old.
Two main tracks, a 2 hour and a 6 hour loop. Very well maintained, signed and almost fully paved by rocks.
There are toilets at the trail heads and some picnic seats and spots. Plenty of parking if you're early.

Even though we came on a rainy day this was so worth the 2 hour drive. We stayed for hours, touring the beautiful and tidy scenery. So coming back when I can.

Purling Brook Falls in Springbrook National Park is a breathtaking natural wonder that is definitely worth a visit. The waterfall stands at a height of 109 meters, and the view of it is simply impressive. The journey to the waterfall is also stunning: hiking trails lead through lush tropical forests, allowing you to enjoy magnificent views. It's a great place for those who love outdoor activities and want to experience the majestic nature of Australia.

Such an awesome walk! After living in WA for a while, it was great to see such tall trees and so many different plants! The falls were spectacular with quite a bit of water going over them!

Epic spot, the walk down to the base of the falls is moderate and has some great stop off points. Wildlife in abundance. Best in clockwise direction in my opinion. Go early for less touristy crowds

We come here often, seeing it's only 45 minutes' drive from home. Scenery and rainforest are always spectacular, even though it started raining quite heavily. I wonder why it rained ...? ... But of course! -- 'Rain'forest... ;-).

The Springbrook National Park is a lush, unspoilt wilderness that is bursting with natural wonders like Purling Brook Falls. The park also boasts walking trails, campsites and a nature bridge.
Love it! My favorite National Park close to Brisbane/Gold Coast QLD. It's great to walk through this fresh rainforest, it has nice landscapes and waterfalls. Perfect for a walk on a Sunday morning. Bring water, a hat and a fruit or snack. You can swim if you're brave. 😄

Twin falls was gorgeous! I went on the shorter route. Quite a nice walk to go on during cool weather. The walk was quite narrow and isn’t fully paved. Be sure to bring good shoes for walking. Plenty of nice lookouts along the path back. Along the way we saw a snake cross the hiking path. So be careful where you step! The toilets just at the entrance of the trail were pretty clean too :).

The Springbrook National Park is a must to do in Gold Coast, QLD. Its a protected national park full of spectacular waterfalls, lush rainforest, ancient trees, and impressive views. Bring water, boots, and hat. You need to spend a day at least to explore the beauty of the park. Highly recommended.
Mohammad Kalantari — Google review
We’ve been here many times we can’t even count ‘em. The beauty never fails to amaze us each time and makes us wants to come back over and over again.
We tried coming after a week of non stop rain and the falls is just beautiful. The trail is a bit scary after the rain as it’s slippery and muddy, make sure you gear up. We were caught by the rain in the middle but it was a great experience surrounded by nature.
Lorae Gonzales — Google review
So blessed to have this wonderful national park so close to the Gold Coast.
The Twin Falls and Purling Brook hikes have fantastic waterfalls and are great for people looking for a 4-8km hike. Lots of kids do these hikes too.
For anyone looking for something longer, the Warrie Circuit is around 16km and has 7 or 8 waterfalls along the way.
On the other side of the national park, in the Numinbah valley, Natural Bridge is a great place to visit during the day or at night to see the glow worms.
In the town of Springbrook there are a few cafes and some great accommodation. I can highly recommend it for a day trip from Brisbane or the Gold Coast or a nice weekend away. One thing I can highly recommend is the Springbrook observatory to see the amazing stars.
There are also lots of amazing lookouts around the town to visit.
One thing that can be improved is the parking at the Canyon lookout, so if you are going on a sunny weekend, be aware that it will fill up very quickly.
Overall I think it’s a fantastic national park and we’ll worth a visit.

I loved it, it is a really special place to see. But I think they need more clear info about the way people should go and the possibilities to see the waterfalls closer. This should be marked for the drivers so they can tourn. Now they have only names of the locations which means nothing to a person who doesn't know the area.

Take the walking trail. Stop to see the natural beauty of this place. The flora & fauna is something you don’t get to see elsewhere. Walk down small streams to reach the picture perfect falls. ⛰️ If you choose the Warrior route, it spans 14 km and may take 3 to 6 hours. This trail is distinct as it begins at the mountain's peak, descends, and concludes with an ascent. The route is notably humid, offering opportunities to encounter spectacular animals; patience and observation are key. Enjoy breathtaking passages featuring waterfalls, navigating under massive rocks and trees. Alternatively, there's a family-friendly route for an easier experience.
Best parking spot is, Google map:

So good, I love this area of Australia, reminiscent of blue mountains (West of Sydney) in many ways, waterfalls, amazing bush walks, awesome cafes and a gorgeous Sunday drive. Go to the natural bridge, do the twin waterfalls also up there, and make sure to see the “best of all lookout - Springbrook national park” (that’s what it’s called in google maps, and on the sign!!)
Andrew Ball — Google review
One of the most spectacular waterfalls in SE Queensland. Located in Springbrook National Park, this area is part of the Gondwana Rainforests, an Australian World Heritage subtropical rainforest.
A sealed walking track leads you through the forest, across Cave Creek and into an arched cave with viewing platforms to take in the sight of the waterfall.
The cave is also home to thousands of nocturnal glow worms which are more visible at night.
Well worth a visit!

This place was absolutely amazing!! I could not have asked for more. I stayed at the Springbok Lodge which was out of this wolrd, real 5* quality accommodation and food. Felt very welcomed and the guide Mlu took us through the park where we saw tons of animals from lion, elephants, cheetah, different bucks and beautiful water falls and rivers

This is a very big national park which you can't finish with just a day tour. You will need at least 2 or 3 days to explore all the places in the national park.
The detail of the places I will give a review at the specific place in Google map.
If you want to go for camping there is a settlement area which you need to get a permit through the website or by phonecall
If you want to see the lookout point there are some lookout points which are best of all lookout, canyon lookout, purling brooks fall lookout, and etc.
If you are into hiking there will be a long train at the canyon lookout which will be 14KM long which will take you about 6hours++
If you want a short want you can probably walk to the twin falls, it is worth it.
Overall I have a very pleasant experience there. Definitely worth a visit and plan a stay there

Very nice national park, up in the mountains so quite cool. Visited the Twin Falls area of the park on a Saturday and was very busy. The walk to Twin falls is relatively short and popular with families. We walked part of the Warrie Circuit which had a few waterfalls, need a full day to walk the whole length (14 km).

Sometimes I come here just for a bit of entertainment seeing all the junkies and hooligans mucking about other than that the square has definitely improved since the flood by changing the bathrooms which were pretty lame into something I can look at without vomiting. Definitely the classiest shopping area in Lismore, on par with some larger metro / city shopping centres. Definitely a cut above the other smaller centres around Lismore and Goonellabah. Plenty of undercover parking and a good range of outlets. Recommended.

Its ok, just another shopping center standard Kmart, BigW, woolies...the usual suspects. For the size of Lismore this center needs an upgrade or renovation. Some of the "clientele" need to use deodorant or take a regular shower 🤢🤮 B.O. central, seriously people.

Museum with a range of art exhibitions plus the art of Margaret Olley & a recreation of her studio.
Well worth the visit, especially for the lovingly reconstruction of Margaret Olley's home/studio. The art installations are well presented and interesting. The cafe/restaurant was very good. Highly recommend.

I am not a Margaret Olley fan, however, I seem to find myself at her exhibitions and loving them. May have to just give in and own it.
This gallery has treated the artist's work and life with such deep respect, you can't help but be awestruck. The recreation of the artist's living space results in endless time spent finding details and items that clearly meant the world to her. It is an intimate view into the solace and safety of a well loved home.
The rest of the gallery is small, well curated and a joy to walk around. There is a variety of art forms and each are well displayed and lit.
The restaurant serves beautiful coffee and pastries. We didn't eat a meal, however, they looked and smelled wonderful.
The team members are friendly, engaging and knowledgeable.
I highly recommend it.

Tweed Regional Gallery is always fabulous, so many great exhibitions are on. The relocated home of Margaret Olley is an ultimate gift of inspiration for everyone to enjoy, a great spot to relax on a rainy day. But also great for artists on a clear day... you can view Mt. Warning, too.

This is an oasis. A well planned and laid out gallery with a wonderful vista over the Tweed and surrounding countryside. The cafe is great and our food and coffee well worth a decision to drive there and eat first and then visit the gallery. In such a small gallery it’s great to see such a good range of art, local or otherwise. The shop is small and well stocked with cards, ceramics, jewellery and books.
All the staff were professional and very helpful.
A great visit. Thank you.

A most wonderful place to experience the historical past of Margaret Ollie. A Regional Art Gallery built with great passion and expertise. On land where Doug Anthony grew up and watched the River and the Mountains. A mystical place with a majestic present that for tens of millennia has been home to Australia's First Nations Peoples.
The Gallery has an exquisitely good restaurant and facilities.
Certainly a bucket list item of places to explore and hold in your memory.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Tweed Regional Gallery and Margaret Olley Art Centre. The primary reason for our visit was to see Margaret Olley's artworks and her recreated rooms, and they did not disappoint. But this modern gallery is so much more. I would recommend a guided tour first, and then take the time to investigate on your own. There is a lovely restaurant in the building with beautiful views across the countryside.

I've been wanting to visit 'Margaret Olley's' home, which has been transported to the gallery, for quite a while. I had no idea that this wonderful woman was a hoarder and because of this her life was filled with many gems from flowers and statues to ewers and vases. Of course many of these things that she couldn't bare to part will be remembered forever as they became part of arrangements in her still life paintings.

This gallery has a beautiful scenic outlook, perfectly positioned to take advantage of landscape, Tweed River and Mt Warning. There are seasonal exhibitions, but best of all, it is the Margaret Olley artwork and recreation of Margaret's 'art studios' - her home. The restaurant cafe takes in the view and offers good food and great service. Try the Lemon Myrtle cheesecake - yum.

Scenic stop overlooking Minyon Falls & the rainforest, also offering walking paths & picnic areas.
It’s a really nice place to have a swim or just take a few photos. Not really disability friendly but you feel like you deserve a swim after the rocks and boulders. There are two entries, one with more parking but gravel road and one with less parking but fully paved and has access to bathrooms and seating areas.

It is a beautiful fall but you should adjust the expectations if going just for the lookout. I enjoyed the drive (through Nightcap Range Rd) a lot more than this end point :)
Most of the picnic area was closed and the best way to enjoy it was to go for the button if fall track which needs several hours and properly planning a full day.

Hard to find there are no signs to help guide you. Take a map and hopefully you can also find it on your gps. Roads as you get closer get narrow and a very short section was rough dirt. Nice picnic area with good drop toilets. Short sealed path to the lookout is wheel chair accessible. Waterfall loop track closed because of land slip. The drive up is nice from the coast so take your time.

Amazing waterfall! Visited just after heavy rains/during some light rains, so water flow was spectacular! I went on a walk to the base fall from the Grasslands picnic area. Was a bit tricky at the bottom to find the path through the rocks to get to the base, and due to the rain the rocks were incredibly slippery so didn’t go super close but still had a wonderful experience! Beware of the leeches by the rocks however haha!

The facilities here are amazing, looks brand new with lots of places to have a picnic and brand new toilets. The only problem is the view of the falls isn’t that great. You are much better going to the grass area 1.6km away for the best view.

Tables n chairs, carpark n Short walk to viewing deck. No water so no falls. 100m drop or so . Be good when falls in motion.
Michael Brent — Google review
The waterfall is breathtaking, boasting an impressive drop of almost 100 meters. However, the current viewing point fails to capture its true beauty. Positioned at the top of the falls, the viewing area allows one to appreciate its height, but lacks a frontal perspective to truly admire its splendor. It's suggested that the authorities consider adding a viewing location in front of the falls to showcase its beauty adequately. Despite this, the falls remain mesmerizing. There's a challenging 5-hour return trail leading to the base of the falls, which we unfortunately couldn't undertake due to time constraints. It would have been wonderful to experience it firsthand.

Not to mention the fantastic wheel chair friendly conctrete path that winds throughout the area, including the lookout over Minyon Falls. The lookout itself it spacious, clean, and well maintained by the parks team.

The pictures don't this waterfall justice as the viewing platform is quite high (rightly so, for everyone's safety) and blocks the camera from taking good photos.
There are parts at the top of the fall where you can walk in the water... another part where you drive your car through the waterfall's top.
You can hike to the base of the waterfall but it's 5-6km and quite steep

To get the best view of the falls, you’ll need to complete the 3h loop walk to the base of the falls.

Attraction featuring massive geodes surrounded by subtropical gardens, plus a cafe & shop.
Stunning place! It feels magical in all aspects as soon as you start walking through the gardens!
If you want to connect with yourself or with nature there is no better place!
You will be in awe with all the features and crystals of all sizes!
The twin amethyst geodes are so majestic and you will be magnetized by the magnificent enchanted cave! A real magical place to make memories for a life time!

My advice…. Ignore the price and just enjoy the garden for what it is, stunning!
Gardens are a short, circa 25 minute drive out of Byron Bay. There is easy parking access and the roads there are winding but not too bad.
The gardens are simply stunning. You could soak up a number of hours just walking around and taking in all the little details. Just gorgeous.
The elephant in the room is the price… Family of four plus a retired grandparent was around $160. Not the end of the world, just really not cheap. I would still recommend going, but the price would probably stop me going back a second time…
That said, still a strong recommend from me!!!

Visited Crystal Castle last week and enjoyed the experience.
Above all, this property is a huge testament to the King Family's passion, vision, determination and sheer hard work. The transformation from once-bare acreage block to today's marvel is awe-inspiring. Kudos to all involved, you should be incredibly proud.
That being said, I did not rate our experience as 5 stars, for several reasons:
Value for money - although we spent a couple of hours roaming the grounds sightseeing, the entry cost is substantial, especially when considering that many parks, botanical gardens, etc., are free of charge. I do appreciate that this is a private business and thus needs cash flow to stay afloat.
School groups - again, as a business open to the public, I understand that school groups are included. For us, however, what should have been a serene, tranquil experience, was not the case. There was a large number of primary school children on site, who ran amok the entire time, yelling and screaming without pause. Having a play ground facility is an unusual and possibly unwise choice, as it quite literally ruined the ambience one would expect in such an environment. As a parent, I understand that kids will be kids; I'm just not sure Crystal Castle is necessarily an ideal school excursion destination.
Overall, we enjoyed our time on the property and were impressed by the amazing crystals and statues throughout. I will also add that the grounds were well maintained and very tidy. The staff were lovely and, as an added blessing, the weather was perfect. There is also a cafe offering food and drinks, as well as several gift shops offering a variety of items. I would recommend that people visit and experience the wonders for themselves.

Stunning place, we love the atmosphere of the gardens.
This time left the kids at home and did both the guided meditation and relaxation with the crystal bowls, both free daily inside the dome. The food is so fresh and tasty, best salads. Fresh watermelon and mint juice is a favourite. Lots of new crystals about ✨️🪻🫶

The gardens are absolutely stunning and meticulously cared for. They boast charming statues and massive crystals, a rare sight. It’s incredibly peaceful and serene, with a wonderful café to enjoy. However, being all outdoors, it can get quite hot, especially by the time of departure. The sound bowl session was a highlight, though it’s worth noting that the experience is best suited for ages 10 and up, as there isn’t much specifically for younger children to do.

Choose carefully when to go, can be very busy.
Crystals are lovely but the entry price is a bit steep, At least in my personal opinion.
Unless you are really into the "spirituality" and healing of these crystals then the price can be justified.
Either way it's worth going just for the massive crystals.
The road to get there is tight and a tad slippery in wet weather, worth taking your time and not trying to do the speed limit.
Would go here again but not during "Peak" hours

I have mixed emotions regarding our visit.
On the one hand the gardens were amazing, and as other have said this is evidenced by the photos. The vibe was chilled and the activities at each section were interesting and tranquil.
On the other hand it also felt like you were paying 50 entry fee per person to go to a giant gift shop with nice views.
It is certainly worth one visit, I doubt they get many repeat visitors as if they did the price wouldn't be so high. Probably should drop the price to $15 or $20 as that would take the sting out of it.
It is family friendly but wouldn't really cater for wheel chairs or small prams. All the paths are gravel for the most part. Plenty of car parking though.

The grounds are simply superb. I’ve never seen such beauty in my life!
The gardens are incredibly well maintained. The sound bath in the dome carried out by Javi was stunning.
The staff are great, particularly Shannon-Jade 🙏🏼

Beautifully landscaped garden set out with walking paths between treasures. The plants are amazing, and we just seemed to be there at the right time when many of them were flowering. The crystals are incredible, and the peaceful setting is so rejuvenating. There's a shop, a cafe and plenty to see. Well maintained, I highly recommend a visit.

I’ve been wanting to visit the crystal castle for years and it was worth the wait. We went on a Tuesday morning so there wasn’t very many people, but I can see it getting very busy on the weekends. It was so peaceful walking through the gardens and the crystals were nothing like I’ve ever seen before. At 12pm & 3pm they have sound baths and it was an amazing experience. Definitely a must do for fellow spiritual crystal enthusiasts. I can’t wait to return!
Malena Moorman — Google review
For the price ($49 per adult), plus the price of the food and coffee at the cafe (and limited options), it didn’t seem worth the spend.
There were some beautiful crystals, the size of some quite impressive, however, they seemed dirty and uncared for.
The grounds are quite small, so you can see all attractions within an hour.
They ran sound bath sessions twice a day, which seemed too little for the price you pay for entry, as you may quite easily miss the sessions depending on the time you arrive.
I think a reasonable price for entry would be $29.

Never knew I place like this could exist out of my dreams. The place is packed with giant crystals and has so much to offer. Even the toilets's sinks are made of crystals. From the rain forest walk to the bamboo forest, the reflexology walk to the meditation dome. Everything is stunning!! Everything! The shops have the most beautiful jewelry (and crystals) I have ever seen. There is so much to see. They recommend 1 hour visit but I ended up spending 4 hours in there. And it was totally worth it. Totally recommend the 20 minutes meditation and the Aura photos! The overall experience is mind-blowing.

Wonderfully calming gardens with exquisite crystals. The singing bowl was probably the most relaxing experience I have had for many years. The restaurant is really lovely. Cannot fault the grounds. Truly beautiful. It is a little pricey at $49 but I would definitely recommend.

It was an otherworldly experience, stepping out into the beautiful gardens, wondering through pebbled paths, stacking stones near bubbling water and listening to the creeking of the bamboo. If you're headed to Byron, this is a must see! Even the drive up was beautiful!

Transcending place.
Grounds well managed, loved for & maintained with a special purpose for its guests.
Reflexology walk & the Thank You Tree are faves.
The crystals are everywhere and so beautifully designed in their placements in the gardens.
Cafe with great variety.
Sound bath is good & even better to have some caring attendees take some time from their day to take you into giving it a go.
Such a special place.
Annual membership does not go to waste.

I was very sceptical about this place as the entry fee seemed a bit pricey... but I really enjoyed it. The whole place has been carefully crafted to look so beautiful, the views, birds and crystals are lovely.
Lots to see and it is a lovely walk around. It was very interesting reading about the different crystals and where they came from. I was very surprised by the brochure we got for free with the map in, it also has information in about the whole place and the crystals it was a lovely extra touch. We also got given $10 off the gift shop so naturally we had a splurge, a bit pricey but the crystals are lovely! There is a play area for children, a cafe and toilets that were actually clean and nice, the sinks were a nice touch! We spent about two hours here, definitely worth the cost.

Amazing experience, wow. I've never seen crystals that big. As soon as you walk in, the atmosphere is amazing and incredibly peaceful. Wonderful music and the most beautiful walks through lush vegetation. People who have trouble meditating should just find a location and begin. It's likely that you will end up meditating for longer periods of time without any interruptions because the atmosphere is peaceful. When you gaze at crystals, pose for a photo or touch crystals that has been placed, healing magic occurs automatically. We left this place feeling incredibly happy.

Good views and nice walks. Just be careful of leaches in rainy season. You may get leach bites in rainforest walk but it's not that harmful and may require bandage tape . It is nice place to spend a day. There are lots of spots where you can click photos with beautiful backgrounds.

Excellent couple of hours tour.
You will have a fantastic time rather your are interested in crystal and spirituality or not.

Absolutely beautiful gardens, very well maintained. Lovely statues and huge crystals which I have never seen anywhere else. Very tranquil and calming. Great cafe! It is all outdoors so was very hot by the time I left. The sound bowl session was really great. Best suited to 10+ not a lot for younger children to do

It's a fairly solid drive off of the highway, though the entire way is paved. It was pleasant enough, and I enjoyed the visit, but honestly, it's impossible to justify the $49 pp entry fee. $98 for two people to walk around and then spend more money on extremely overpriced food/drinks, and then some kind of gift or token,of some kind (again, over priced), is pretty wild. The reality is yes, I can afford it, but darn, I suspect that with the way the cost of living is going, there won't be too many that can especially when you would generally be driving from a main city in QLD or NSW to get there.

Nice little kitchen area.
Clean bathroom & Shower.
Pretty safe and friendly everyone was quite and respectful when the night came. Near a small cafe for breakfast. Petrol station around the corner and 2 minutes to the surf. Can also walk across the road for a swim.
Great place and can't wait to comeback.⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great place to stay with the family. We have been coming here for about 10 years. The beach and creek are just across the road if you want to go for a swim or fish. The Headlands is just a short walk away with magnificent views where you can occasionally see dolphins and whales.

Great facilities, clean and very well maintained. I loved that we had a site that overlooked the jetty/landing area in Cudgera creek, where we could leave the kayak or boat tired up overnight and easily see it from our van. Some great fishing in the creek behind the park as well as across the road in the surf.

We’ve made Hastings Point Tweed Holiday park and annual occurrence now but more specifically on this occasion we had Warren & Maureen as reliving park managers and they made our stay just that extra bit special. Our kids loved Maureen and she just went that extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. If you’re looking for reliving park managers in the future, these guys go above and beyond. We wanted to follow them around 😆
The Safari tents have been renovated and they’re awesome with a new aircon fitted. Amenities are well kept & clean. Right on the beach. Right near a playground. Directly across from the lookout. Can’t be faulted. See you again next year.
Tiana Rouse — Google review
Such a shame the glamping tent was facing the toilet block instead of the water. It makes no sense why you would do this? Especially given the direction of the ocean breezes and the rain. It soaks all the undercover outdoor seating area and there is no room inside for 4 people to sit down and eat a meal. It would have been so much nicer if it was facing the water and we could have enjoyed time outside whilst there.

We enjoyed are staying at Hastings Point the park is good size with plenty of wildlife. We were there to see plovers sitting on eggs for 28 days rain hail or sunshine and even lucky enough to see them hatch. The park is clean & facilities spotless. Debbie & Terry park managers are so friendly & welcoming and by the time we left I could call them our friends.
Overall Hasting Point is a beautiful location for walks and swimming & a lovely relaxing stay. 👍👍

Best spot on the Tweed Coast! Perfect location for camping. Caravanning. Fishing swimming walking. We go approx twice a year. Most other campers seem to have been coming to this park for years. It says a lot to have such a loyal group choosing to return annually. Not a thing bad to day about this place. Really well managed.

Tweed Holiday Park Hasting Point is a great caravan park. It’s in a great location with a awesome general store next to it and the beach is just across the road. It’s only 5 minutes to both Cabarita and Pottsville which makes it easy to explore around Northern NSW. The only down side was that the amenities block had its light turned off at 6am in the morning, which did mean a few showers in the dark until the sun came up enough to provide enough light into the block.

Amazing staff and truly the experience of a lifetime! Everyone from the driver Richard, to the front desk staff, to Kevin who i jumped with made this so fun and helped calm any pre-jump nerves. Because my first jump got cancelled because if high winds, I appreciated that Richard contacted me the following day to let me know we were good to go, because I only had two days in Byron Bay (I was visiting from Canada). I also became friends with the others in my group there for the jump. Overall incredible experience. Thank you to all the amazing staff who helped me tick another big dream off the bucket list! XO

As this was my first time skydiving I was quite scared and apprehensive. However, W my instructor was great. He was very professional, pleasant and friendly. I absolutely loved every minute of my jump. The views and scenery were breathtaking.
The only negative was the waiting time. I had booked for a 9:30am jump, but didn't board the plane until 11:30am. However, I was informed of possible delays the day prior.
Overall, it was a enjoyable experience and would definitely recommend it.

I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of my first skydiving experience with Skydive Byron Bay. It far exceeded my expectations.
It was such a thrill to feel the pressure of the atmosphere as I plummeted towards the earth at 200km/hr for 1minute until the parachut opened and slowed us down to a peaceful glide above one of Australia's most beautiful coastlines.
Big shout out to my awesome tandem master Adriano. He was funny, charming and such a professional who made me feel comfortable and confident that I would be safely returned to earth, after he shared with me a wildly incredible experience. I had a blast! 😝💥

This is my old account name, real name is Diego Suarez but today Jeff knew me as Michael. Man I could have been frank, Jeff but I sure felt like Tom Cruise! Anyway I didn’t have the heart to tell Jeff because his energy was on point.
My cousin transferred the ticket into my name as he just had a baby boy. I wasn’t initially intending on jumping out of a plane. I can say everyone should jump at least once in their life.
The energy when you walk in is welcoming and everyone is in such a happy high energy vibe!!! The service was great and SBB facilities were second to none. I watched all the crew checking everything and also just have a good time.
I forgot my jacket and they had gear ready to go. I was fortunate to jump with Jeff, who was a epic instructor. Fun, calm and cool! He checked the gear and the fit couldn’t have been a smoother ride.
The video and photos are epic! Such quality and so many! Epic day, one I will never forget. I can’t recommend this enough to anyone, my advice. Don’t think, just do!

The Farm Byron Bay is a picturesque 32-hectare green oasis located just outside of Byron. It is a working farm, plant nursery and sustainable market garden that features tours, an onsite restaurant and bakery. The community of growers and producers who share this space with the Three Blue Ducks restaurant, produce store, ice-creamery and florist are dedicated to traditional and sustainable practices both as an ethos and educational mission.
Great food, Great service, nice people. It's a very lovely place to go with family or friends. The atmosphere is lovely and you can see different animals and little organic shops. Perfect for brunch. You will not be disappointed.
The only downside for me was I have waited a long time to see the highlander cows. Every time I have gone I have not been able to see any 😭 Wish they were more available to see. However, from my understanding it's a working farm and you may have to book a farm tour to see them.

Nice, rustic experience. Just be aware the Cafe and restaurant areas are separate operations so if you think you can enjoy a coffee in the restaurant area you can't. Coffee is only on front deck and inside main serving area. It's a good family venue with additional areas for kids to run around. Highly recommended.

Lovely place to visit. Enjoy a short walk around & see all the animals, have some fresh macadamian nuts under the trees.
Enjoy meal at the three ducks cafe or get takeaway & enjoy it under the trees.
Mistake, many people did: wearing white shoes, this is after all a farm, so prepare to get mud on your shoes.
Will definitely go back.

Great idea and nice atmosphere for a cafe/restaurant. Good quality to price was much less than my expectation but overall experience would compensate for that.

Bakery goods and coffee are 100% on point! Also awesome that they let us use our own travel mugs. Love that it’s close to the free way - makes a convenient break when travelling between states and the kids had a lovely time in the park. Only draw back is that it’s busy and crowded, the price of being brilliant… actually speaking of price it was more expensive than a servo break but damn the food was good.

Hmmm Not an easy place to review. I stopped here twice on my way to and back from Port Macquarie. It’s conveniently located close to the Pacific Highway and only 1 hr and 40 minutes (150 km) from Brisbane.
Several options for shopping or food and drink are on offer. Worms and seedlings for example. Yet another is focussed on dairy. There’s a bread and pastry counter and also a coffee stop. Tons of beer and wine from the tap to enjoy in the garden or table service in the restaurant.
It’s just not pushing any of my buttons. None of the wines or beers tickle my fancy, neither does the menu. The herb gardens don’t come close to my old ones when I lived on property. And the colonial metaphor is an acquired taste. Tin plates and so on. I’m not sure if that matches the price tag. It all borders to a commercial touristy formula with the prime aim to make money. And then the birds feasting on the scraps left behind on the garden tables…..
That being said, many may simply love this experience. It certainly is great to have a place to restore (restaur-ant) along the Pacific Highway.

Ballina your everything and more! Visiting the big prawn was a great conversation starter for my little kids! What a town so much to do and see we will be back!

So evidently Australia has a fascination with "Big Things". I am told they are placed sporadically all over the country. So, being American and one that loves to get involved with the culture, I was excited to see the "big prawn" that I had heard so much about. It is inside the Bunnings car park so it's not where you would expect to find it but it was cool nonetheless. If you are interested in this type of thing then I say, "you have to see it!"

How can you go past one of Australia’s “BIG” things?
Just a big prawn. Take your photos. Free parking. In and out in 5 minutes.
Only rated 4 stars as other BIG things often have a gift shop or snack shop nearby.

Now I've seen it
The Big Prawn ... looks so out of place , where this Ballina tourist attraction , still stands
From what I've learnt from a local ... the Big Prawn use to have a Tourist Information building on sight
Now only the Big Prawn stands & the adjacent land is a Bunnings Hardware store

High expectations that delivered!
Important to note this isn’t a real prawn it’s actually a novelty oversized attraction.
When visiting park in to auto barn car park to avoid the hustle and bustle of Bunnings.
Visit on a weekend and grab a Bunno snag with the visit.
Would travel out of my way to see again with the kids
View : 1/10
Value : 10/10

A big prawn in a Bunnings car park. Life doesn’t get more Australian than this.

It's something you need to tick off your list I'd your near Ballina. You can see it from a mile away and was built in 1989. I've seen this over the years since a kid and still brings a smile to your face. A good one to show the kids!!!

The Bunnings car park entry makes this easy to find parking, but super difficult to access and get a decent photo if you're stopping to do the tourist thing. People absolutely fly into the carpark, and do not look for people crossing to get to the attraction and there is no pedestrian crossing to get to it from the carpark.
Melissa Sparks — Google review
Loved seeing the big prawn as a kid & happy to see it is still alive at the bunnings entrance. It has a good colour & looks healthy & delicious.

No adventure to Northern NSW is complete without a family photo at the giant prawn. Also the site of a geocache.
Gavin Rudling — Google review
Much bigger than expected. You see it along the main road as you go over a crest, and it just keeps getting bigger as you approach. There was a vacant block that you can drive into to get underneath it for great photos, avoiding the Bunnings carpark mayhem on the other side of the fence.
Quote from my kid “it’s a giant croissant with an head and arms”!

I love that we still have BIG things in Australia! Thanks Bunnings for restoring it.
Jillian Newton — Google review
Don't know what else to expect it's a prawn, and it's BIG. Plenty of parking because of the Bunnings.
Brad Jones — Google review
The Big Prawn used to be part of the service centre many years ago, now it's just a monument at the entrance to Bunnings.
Still nice to see, but nothing overly special.
Still look good.
George Fedorowicz — Google review
Certainly the best of the big sculptures making your way up the Eaat Coast - shame its out the front of a Bunnings
Daniel Rogers — Google review
The name basically says it all. If you like looking at big prawns then this is the place for you! I saw another big prawn in Exmouth WA, but this one is way bigger. My only criticism is the site location being just the corner of a Bunnings carpark. A prawn of this magnitude deserves a loftier site.

Loved stopping off to see the big prawn, I love these random bits of art at random
Places (the prawn is by a Bunnings), the world needs more of these whacky sculptures!

Top ranking big thing. Defo one of the better ones we’ve seen I. Australia. Lots of good detail. And actually properly big. I know it’s naff but this was a good one. Parking in bunnings opposite

Next to Bunnings store carpark, visited this place during daytime.
The Ballina Naval and Maritime Museum, situated in Regatta Avenue behind the Visitor Information Centre, is renowned for its main exhibit - Las Balsas, a 12-meter long balsa wood raft that completed a remarkable 178-day journey across the Pacific from Ecuador to Ballina.
Interesting & informative Maritime Museum .. with local , Australian & limited world Maritime ( mostly battle ships ) exhibitions
The large collection of Battle Ship models are impressive

The outside is very deceiving as to what’s inside. So much to look at, not just Australian. My husband who is xNavy was pleasantly surprised at the amount of pieces on display. Even finding a painting of his Grandfather’s ship! The entry is $5 adults $2 kids open most days, but due to lack of volunteers may not be open depending on staff. Well worth the stop

So much to see in the Naval Museum
Located in the centre of town behind the Library.
The museum houses so many models of ships.
It has pieces of old ships
For those who are interested in the navy activities during the WWII this museum will provide you with a wealth of info
Highly recommended

A whole lot of models, particularly out the back. Also a giant Pacific-going raft. Sound bad? Heck no! They're intriguing, well put together, and has a Skyhawk on an aircraft carrier.
The curators were knowledgeable and interested as well, which is always good to see.
My only problem was my stomach decided to play up halfway through my walkthrough, which meant I had to rush through the rest and beat a hasty retreat.

Beautiful museum pretty interesting to know that people sailed from Ecuador to Australia on rafts and they also apparently had 300 model boats (I'm not actually sure because I didn't count them) but I took about 257 photos of things in the museum. You can learn to tie knots and they also have a steering wheel with a fog horn ( the fog horn is very very loud and it will most probably annoy you) at the reception they sell little boats that floats and drives on water personally I liked the secret money boxes and one says keep out with a skull with cross bones and they're made of wood. You need to pull out one piece out of the box and then slide it open.

You won’t find any real ships here but you will find 100s of beautifully built models and stacks of info about everything from local ship building back in the 1800s to war ships. Only $5 for adults. Plenty of parking ( might not be so much when the near by swimming pool is busy) and tourists information centre next door.

Great museum plenty to see and read ,really enjoyed the displays hope to get back there for a longer look around.
When I was in Ballina, I spent a lot of time lost, because they don't seem to have enough street signs..so the day before I left I thought, I would go to the information centre and get a map of the town, it was a little bit to late, I know. The lady that served me was very nice and what a lovely building.. thanks so much....👋👋

The best visitors centre i have ever been attended, in my extensive travels. The staff are extremely courteous and friendly, nothing is a trouble. The presentation ,quality and variety of product is extremely well showcased and reasonably priced . In my opinion , the Ballina Visitor centre should train Visitor Centres how Visitors Centres should be presented and run, including customer service. I have never been to Ballina previously, however it is my new favourite destination, due to attending the visitors centre. I was more than impressed with the comprehensive information visitors guide . Congratulations to all involved. NB I will be back.

Belongil Beach is a secluded beach on the northwest coast of Byron Bay, located between Main Beach and Clarkes Beach. It's a well-maintained beach with lifeguards on select dates in summer, as well as a clothing optional area at the north end.
We went to the dog friendly section, set up a canopy for shade high recommend and had our two little dogs with us. They loved it, very social beach for dogs and they enjoyed engaging with many others dogs. The water was warm (March) and the rolling waves were great for body surfing. The sand feels like silk. There's no toilets or shops where we were, so I suggest bring snacks, lunch and drinks with you.

A scenic extended beach area
Parts of the beach is also a unleashed dog exercise area
When I visited this northern Byron Bay beach , the beach was damaged from recent storms .. so there was a lot of flotsam washed up
Along Belongil Beach .. there are a few different pathways down to the Beach
The entrance to Belongil Beach , has a low level lookout .. which still has scenic views overlooking this section on this beach

Diverted to Byron on our way to Brisbane in search of Chris Hemsworth and Matt Damon. As a Sydney boy it's exactly what I imagined it would be. After stopping at the beach for some photos (cos we're tourists so it's a must) we continued on our road trip. Sadly with no encounter of Thor or Jason Bourne. Perhaps next time.

BELONGIL BEACH - MUST SEE
Belongil Beach is a picturesque beach located to the north of the town of Byron Bay in New South Wales, Australia. It offers a more tranquil and secluded atmosphere compared to the bustling beaches closer to the town center. Here's some information about Belongil Beach:
Location: Belongil Beach is situated approximately 3 kilometers (1.9 miles) north of Byron Bay's central business district. It is accessible via Bayshore Drive, which runs parallel to the beach, or by walking along the shoreline from the town center.
Natural Beauty: Belongil Beach is known for its natural beauty, with pristine sands, rolling dunes, and stunning coastal scenery. The beach is backed by lush vegetation, including coastal scrub and low-lying vegetation, creating a sense of tranquility and seclusion.
Secluded Atmosphere: Belongil Beach offers a more relaxed and less crowded experience compared to the busier beaches closer to Byron Bay's town center. It's a great spot to escape the crowds and enjoy a peaceful beach outing.
Activities: Belongil Beach provides a range of activities for visitors to enjoy. These include swimming, sunbathing, beachcombing, and picnicking. The beach's uncrowded nature makes it ideal for long walks, jogging, or simply unwinding and soaking up the sun.
Dog-Friendly: Belongil Beach is one of the dog-friendly beaches in the Byron Bay area. It allows dogs off-leash in designated areas, providing an opportunity for dog owners to enjoy the beach with their furry companions.
Surfing and Fishing: Belongil Beach offers surfable waves, particularly at the northern end near Belongil Creek. The beach is suitable for beginners and intermediate surfers. Additionally, fishing enthusiasts can try their luck from the shore or in the nearby Belongil Creek.
Amenities: While Belongil Beach is a more secluded area, it does offer some amenities for visitors. These include parking spaces along Bayshore Drive, public toilets, and access points to the beach. However, it's advisable to bring your own supplies, such as food, water, and sun protection, as there are no nearby shops or facilities.
It's important to note that Belongil Beach may have different conditions depending on the time of year, tides, and weather. It's recommended to check local surf and safety conditions before engaging in any water activities.
Belongil Beach provides a serene and less crowded beach experience, allowing visitors to enjoy the natural beauty of the area and relax in a tranquil setting. Whether you're looking for a peaceful day at the beach, a stroll along the shoreline, or a spot to take your furry friend for a walk, Belongil Beach offers a serene and scenic escape from the busier parts of Byron Bay.

Pristine Beauty at Belongil Beach, Byron Bay
Visited Belongil Beach in Byron Bay last September, making it a standout during my second trip to Australia. An expansive and stunning beach where you can take your dog off leash. The water is beautiful and very clear for the most part and the tide goes out quite far which really opens the beach up. Several parking areas and lots of beach to walk along. There's also some shaded areas on the bank which are great, although mostly limited shade on this beach. Definitely one of the better beaches in Byron Bay where you can take your dog.

What’s a stunning view of the ocean and sunset. Loved this beach and the fact that the caravan park was next to it where we were staying was a bonus.
The kids had a great time so did I, as I finally managed to take some amazing shots and tips lapse videos on the beach.
Next time I will book out one of the cabins. It’s a dog friendly beach lots of people were just sitting there and enjoying the sunset and a smoke ;)

Wow busy town and beach. It is definatly a place you need to come to early in the morning to secure parking for the day.
Stunning views. For the swimmers that like to be more relaxed there is a public pool near the beach. Easy enough to take a break in one of the local businesses near buy to grab a bite to eat. Lovely laid back town with the surfy vibe.
