Discover the story behind Australia's famous Bundaberg Rum through a self-guided or guided tour at its headquarters. Visitors can explore the museum and distillery, both of which offer an insight into the production process and history. Tours are available hourly, with tastings exclusively for adults above 18 years old. The cafe offers unique seating arrangements using barrels, making it a great spot to relax after touring. And of course, don't forget to snap a photo with the iconic giant bottle of rum!
Such a great place. The tour is full of information, history and so much detail of the distillary process. I don't drink Rum, but liked the environment and decoration. The cafe presents nice sitting arrangement using barrels!
Capturing photo with the giant bottle of Rum is a must!

A pleasant experience and great for either the full tour or simply a short stop and a quick drink. There's a beer garden area with a bar outside or a tasting experience inside next to the shop. Dogs are not allowed in the outside area unfortunately which is a shame. It did take some time to be served outside, despite no queues, but the flavoured rum was delicious and the staff were friendly.

Had a great time on the rum tour very informative, the museum was very interesting. Loved the blend your own rum tour, highly recommend to pay the extra money for this. No food available on site. Friendly staff, worth a visit.
C Yager — Google review
Did the tour of the distillery. The lovely Kaycee and the other experienced lady (sorry, I forgot her name. Must have been the rum) put on an awesome tour. Very knowledgeable of the history and production process. Real good, definitely recommend, especially if you’re a rum connoisseur.
Den Taylor — Google review
Oh this was a great tour! Guides were fantastic and made it funny yet informative. I wish the shop had more 'exclusive' items for sale (things you could only buy there). Book online for a 5% discount 💰Overall - Brilliant!
Ali Howard — Google review
Calling past Bundaberg and it's a must do visit like the Opera house or MCG.
Tour guide was Coops (I think). Very informative on the history, sourcing, making and future of the Polar Bear.
The tour takes you through various parts of the plant to see what's going on. No phones or cameras allowed (hence no inside photos) and are required, along with keys and other battery or loose items into secure lockers during the tour.
Taste testing at the end with 2 samples.
The staff throughout were very pleasant and mostly always smiling. Bar & shop area were very clean and nicely done.

I pre-purchased my tickets on line, great ideas as the day looked like it got quite busy!
Great experience Lou & Mac, walk & talk us through the whole process. I’m not a big rum drinker, however still found it’s all very fascinating.
From the tour we also had 2 ticket drink vouchers included to taste some of the rum out selfs, at the end of the tour.
Definitely recommend 👍🏼

The museum and guided tour was great! We had CJ and Lewis and they had the funniest rum jokes throughout the tour. Very informative and entertaining at the same time.
The museum tour you can do on your own time. There is an hourly guided tour where they take you inside and see where all the action happens. We were even able to have a taste of the molasses!
After the tour you get to have free taste- 1 liquer sample and 1 rum sample per person. The shop is so cute with all the Bundaberg distillery merchandise.
Maikko Fonacier — Google review
Honestly I didn't know Bundaberg rum is a big thing but I saw the distillery and decided to check it out. Bought the museum and a guide tour. In my opinion, get the guide tour, it is totally worth it.
You will have the chance to see the process of how they are making the rum. Due to strictly no electronics in the factory so we can't take any pics and videos during the tour but yeah it was amazing.
You will get 2 complimentary drinks with the guided tours.
Overall a great experience. Recommended

Very interesting place to visit. I came here to buy souvenirs for family and friends. It's really worthwhile to visit this remarkable iconic place in Bundaberg. Easy to navigate to get there as clearly visible sign posted. The products were clearly displayed to showcase and a brief description of each product on offer. There was a product tasting bar available for a low fee at the store. The staff were helpful , ready to assist, and good product knowledge. Definitely recommend this place. 💯💯💯

This place is not just the home of the Iconic Australian Rum & birthplace of the Bundy Bear in 1961.. The history here is intertwined with & part of Australian history, especially our military history, supporting our troops ever since the Boer War. If you enjoy history, give yourself plenty of time to read all about it, (or cheat like me & photograph all the information boards).
Would highly recommend doing the tour, we were very lucky to have Mack & Shae as our guides as they were both lovely. Very informative tour that was kept fun and light-hearted by our guides!

This is a must-do in the Bundaberg region. Coops was an amazing tour guide who was enthusiastic, funny, and entertaining. It's clear that people love what they do here! The tour includes the museum, a tour of the distillery and 2 tastings with mixers - so it's a fantastic value. Arrive early so you can visit the museum before your tour (you can't visit it after). We booked ahead but there were some people who were able to walk in.
Sarah Wahltinez — Google review
Great tour! Quiet enjoyable for kids and adults. Lots of space for caravans to park around the back. Get to your tour early so you can get a good walk through the museum! We arrived right on time and missed out on spending time slowly going through the museum which was disappointing.
Buy tickets online on their website for a discounted price.
Samantha Hortz — Google review
Great experience and totally worth the drive. You have to put this on your bucket list and enjoy the history of Bundaberg Rum.
Damo and Bobbi were fantastic hosts and guides. Make sure you partake in the tasting and the end and get some good rum and merch to remember your visit by.
Stu Hastings — Google review
Excellent museum and distillery tour. Chan and Mack were our guides full if fun and jokes to make this a great experience. The rum and liquor tasting was interesting definitely the salted caramel was the best. We were the last to buy tickets in our group, 6 others behind us missed out and needed to wait another hour. Tours are on the hour so arrive early . Loved the whole eco experience they have created and many awards.

The tour guide was very engaging. It was a fun tour and the museum itself really showed a lot of history..

Always a great place to visit. The tour of the distillery is interesting. The shop is my go to though for the goodies you can't get in your general bottle shop. Chocolate coffee liquor, Special small batch white rum. 😋🥃
Sara-Jane Watson — Google review
Great day out, I would suggest that you take the tour, very informative and the staff make it a fun experience. The museum part has plenty of information about all of the history of the site. Good value for money, tickets just under $30 per person, which includes 2 drinks of your choice. I'm not a rum drinker, but the bar staff know their products well. Just tell them what your poison is, and they'll get you the rum that fits the bill. I was blown away by the way they hit the spot. The shop is well stocked, and the whole site is amazing considering the small numbers of staff that run the whole operation. Just remember, don't drink too much if you're going to drive.
Tom Kotzamanis — Google review
Our boys (husbands) loved the Distillery. We got them a tour & blend your own experience. Highly recommend going here. I'm not a fan of rum, but didn't mind a couple of the tastings we had.
Kerryn Turrell — Google review
One of the best guided rum distillery experiences.
You get to see the actual brewing and distillation processes.
The guide was very engaging and the overall experience was great.
You get to try 2 rum options include d in your ticket.
For some extra money you can try your hand at blending your own rum.
Anastasia G — Google review
Highly recommend the museum and distillery experience tour.
The museum provided a great insight into the history of rum in Australia and the history and process of Bundaberg rum.
After the museum you go on a walking tour of the distillery. Due to the the risk of ignition, you are required to lock up your camera, phone, car keys (anything with a battery) in the provided lockers. We loved sampling and learning about the molasses well and how it is transported from the sugar mill across the road. Our guides Leesa and Sandy did a fantastic job explaining the fermentation, distillation process and Barrel House. The tour ends at the Bundaberg Rum Tasting Bar, where you get two samples. I'm not a run fan, but their exclusive royal liqueurs were delicious. I ended up purchasing all 5 flavours. Highly recommend the banana and toffee liqueur with cream on top, and salted caramel mixed with milk.
We initially wanted to buy tickets for the BLEND YOUR OWN RUM EXPERIENCE, but this needs to be booked in advance, so we will be back for this in the future!
Teresita Nastasi — Google review
Went to the distillery over Christmas break and decided for my birthday I would come back and do the rum making experience. Well worth the money, great experience to do. Bobby who was the host did an excellent job helping out with decisions on which rum combination would work and just an overall good time. Highly recommend you check out.

When in Bundaberg, this is a must do experience. It is a very modern and interesting interactive experience. Bobbi, our tour guide was brilliant, hilarious, and just a joy. You can tell she enjoys her job. $30 pp to visit, not sure about kids. Really interesting bit of history and great to try samples of the wonderful Rums and liquers at the end. We sure enjoyed them 😀
Sarah Haylor — Google review
I did the “Blend your own Rum” tour. It was incredible. Boby was our guide and she was really nice and funny. So much things to see and learn about the way our favourite Australian Rum is made.
100% recommended during your trip in Bundaberg.
Wetside Water Park is an oceanfront facility that features water slides, a splash pad, and a wave machine. It also has a casual eatery for visitors to enjoy. This aquatic center is perfect for families with kids who want to have fun in the summer season. Adults can also enjoy the park's amenities while sitting in lovely shaded areas.
The Hervey bay Westside water park is awesome. It is a free water park 3 small children's water slides, a bucket, several in ground water spouts and toddler smaller water spout. Right next to the beautiful Hervey bay beach. And.did I mention it's FREE! They have. A toilet, and changing area block with lockers. Several seats and tables are located throughout the park. There is a beautiful sculpture of a whale in the middle of the peak. A cafe next to the front of the water park. There is a bigger paid slide at the end of the park. There is a wooden balcony overlooking the water. The water park is semi covered in the toddler side area however other than that it's all open. Big trees are located near the front of the park and offers a bit of shade on sunny hot days. There is several parking areas. It is wheelchair accessible.

A great family friendly waterpark, great for the kids and the young at Heart. Great place to cool down. All is free except for the ninja warrior water part of the park. Definitely worth stopping at to have a splash in the water and cooling off. Fun in the sun ☀️

One of the most amazing free water parks in Queensland. Areas for big or little kids. My son loves Wetside and that's our favourite place to visit when we come up to Hervey bay. Now with the playground and skate park next to it we love it even more.

Great place for kids (young and young at heart), plenty of free off street parking around, with a delicious cafe next door and the gorgeous beach in front.
The renovations/maintenance have made it even better.
Plenty of shaded areas, change rooms/bathrooms, and friendly lifeguards around.
Love bringing my littles here

Our day at the water park was nothing short of fantastic! The cleanliness and organization were impressive, creating a safe and enjoyable environment for my kids. Staff members were friendly and attentive, adding to the positive experience. Five stars, without a doubt – extremely safe for very young age kids make it a perfect destination for fun, excitement, and lasting memories!

Awesome family value. You have an awesome free water park and the availability of great cafe's for a good lunch. Kids love it, there are water slides for a small price and a water kids ninja course. A great day out for the family. 👍😊
Chris Lord — Google review
Great facility, good experience for the kids. Water is a bit cold though and since this park is by the beach, it can get very windy. It's fun for a little while, but can get cold!
Paz Avalos — Google review
Fun experience for the whole family! Water Park is free. Pay for slides and ninja course. Food on site. Get in early to nab a table! A must do when visiting Hervey Bay.
This wide, picturesque boulevard that runs along the coast is adorned with various eateries, accommodations, and stores. The Esplanade boasts a multitude of dining establishments, lodging options, and retail outlets scattered throughout its expanse.
Urangan Pier, a historically significant pier previously used for cargo transfer, is now a popular spot for fishing and scenic views. Despite its considerable length, it makes for a pleasant morning stroll in good weather. Anglers can often be spotted casting their lines along the sides of the pier, while at the end you are treated to an expansive view of the horizon - particularly stunning during sunset.
A very long walk but quite nice for a morning stroll with nice weather. There are often people fishing along the sides of the pier, and at the end of the pier you get a nice wide open view of the horizon (probably would be quite nice during sunset!)
The pier does get quite windy as there is nothing to block the coastal winds, but it’s not too bad.
If you’re lucky, you’ll also see some wildlife - like little birds flying about or resting on the side of the pier, or fish in the ocean!
Jenny Qian — Google review
Nice long walk along the beach and coastline. Beautiful views across the water. There's some places to get some food (fish and chips) nearby. Lovely place to visit and relax

I went here yesterday morning at around 7am prior to my drive home to Brisbane.
Absolutely gorgeous, great spot to go for a refreshing walk. People are lovely, would love to come back here for sure!
Kimberley Holland — Google review
The perfect spot for an evening walk to admire the sunset, or set yourself up along the side to fish. Whatever the reason, anyone in the area needs to walk along this pier at least once. It is quite a walk to the end and back so just keep that in mind.
T Brown — Google review
What an amazingly long pier! The sand banks & sea stretch out either side, when the tide 8s low. Worth the walk. Many were fishing 🎣 🤗
Cheryl Camp — Google review
Sunset walk along the beach by the Pier was lovely. We watched the lights come on as the sun set at low tide over the bay. After 3pm dogs are permitted off leach on the stretch of beach between the Pier and the aquarium. On our return walk to the Pier we saw the migrating fruit bats flying overhead to their nightly feeding area. This flyover continued for over 20 minutes hinting at the large population of fruit bats in the area but other than their passover we didn't see any roosting nearby.
Their is a well patronized fish and chip shop at the Pier and a well keep public green space where markets are held. Lovely location for a walk.
Louise Tome — Google review
Such a lovely Pier. My partner and I walked all the way to the end and back and it's a decent walk. We took our time, stopped to take a few pics at the end and it just took us over 30 minutes to walk it. Sadly we did see some walkers struggle and saw only a couple of wooden seats closer to the end of the pier. To make it more accessable and compable to all walkers, I would really would love to see a bit more setting along the whole pier. Other than that the views are stunning along the whole pier.
Natasha Parker — Google review
Was a lovely little pier and nice to see so many fishing 🎣 if you look hard enough you can see the fishes! Very pleasant and free can’t ask for more 🤗

Urangan pier, such a beautiful place & so photogenic :) good walk up on it but this time we were under it :) walked from waterfront restaurant to the pier and back, lovely walk with hubby, kids & our dog :)
Roz M — Google review
This is the get together spot for Urangan. People walking their dogs, taking the kiddies to play in the shade and the older people cathing up with their friends. Late afternoon, people have a bite to eat with loved ones. Awesome place.
Martie Greeff — Google review
Very pretty place but couldn't actually walk along the pier as dogs are not allowed. Instead we went down to the beach next to the pier which was fantastic. Dogs allowed on lead all times and off leash at certain times. Could walk out pretty far as tide was low and while the pier was quite crowded, the beach was basically empty which allowed us to get some great shots of the pier from afar.
Michelle Hadaway — Google review
I love Hervey Bay. It's grown sooo much since I was there last. The Pier Caravan Park, in Urangan is a great place to stay
Kris Gallagher — Google review
Wow, what a Pier. My wife and I walked it today and it's a good walk. We are not slow walkers yet it took us over 30 minutes, out and back. It's wonderful walking out to the end, you almost feel like it would take you to Fraser Island. And the sunset from on the pier is spectacular. If you get a chance, definitely visit and walk its length.
Peter Neeson — Google review
Urangan Pier is indeed one of the most impressive piers in Queensland! Its beauty and scenic views are truly captivating. While I don't have personal opinions, I can certainly understand why many people find it to be among the best.
Its length, history, and the stunning vistas it offers make it a popular spot for both locals and tourists. Whether you're taking a leisurely stroll, fishing, or simply admiring the surrounding beauty, Urangan Pier is undoubtedly a must-visit destination in Queensland.

Urangan Pier, it's one of the longest in Australia. It stretches for almost one kilometre over the ocean in Hervey Bay.
Lots to do with the pier park and eateries in the vicinity. Popular for locals, anglers and tourists!

We measure that it was approximately 2 km return to the car.
The walk was so relaxing but bumpy, be wearing of flying rods and if your planning to just go for a walk or even fishing make sure that you wear a thick layer of sunscreen and a hat, in just the 20min walk talking to fisherman we were cooked
Kasey Wilson — Google review
The pier is amazing! Almost a km long! You can see turtles, dolphins, loads of fish varieties and even a dugong!
The pier is kept exceptionally clean and I was impressed with the containers for fishermen's waste.
Definitely worth a visit!

Lovely walk along the pier. Great to do around sunset time. It can be very windy and a bit chilly in the evenings

This is a charming place to go to and get the history behind it. It is 1.1 Km long which indicates good exercise and a fantastic view. The added bonus is spotting the fish in the sea and there was plenty of them
Hugh Mahon — Google review
Even though it was quite a windy day, I thought it was spectacular, and would have given it a 5 if I could have take my dog with me for the almost 1km walk out to the point.
A bit of a rocky entrance, but the kangaroo and emu are great. Easy to hand feed, especially the emu.
Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and fun to talk with.

Absolutely amazing place to visit. Very quiet here too (we went on Friday morning). Was nice to see all the animals very relaxed and enjoying themselves. They went at their own pace and didn't look stressed and weren't hassled by anyone, came up to you by themselves if they were curious whilst others sat in the shade. They have a reptiles section as well with some snakes and lizards! Highly recommend stopping here if you get the chance. Great value for money!
Thomas Hughes — Google review
Good place to take the family, friendly and well- looked after animals, many of whom are rescued and some vibrant personalities, especially among the large parrots, who were an absolute delight. Many exhibits closed and clearly in need of some TLC, hence four stars, but the volunteers do a great job maintaining the place with limited resources. Wish this place got funding instead of other places such as water parks, but I guess they're alright too.

I love zoos or wildlife parks that put their money back into the animals welfare. This place was run by volunteers. Looking after birds or other animals that simply could not survive in the wild. One legged and one winged Galah's. A beautiful old Wedge Tail Eagle, Winston. Only there because a human in a car hit him. So pls take time to drop in.

We just visited the sanctuary with the kids (11&13) we loved being able to approach and feed the kangaroos. Watch the Dingos, birds and check out the reptiles.

Really enjoyed our time here. We were able to spend a longer time with the animals & they were just so chill too! Highlights were feeding kangaroos & a snake experience.

I love zoos run by hard working volunteers . How can they not be worth 5 stars ? Looking after sick or injured animals , that otherwise would not survive. Worthy of my support every time. It's a little tired, it needs more funds . So get along and support it
See the wonderful one winged Eagle . There are better Zoos around but not with such heart .

We went here during the easter school holidays recently and the experience was lovely overall. From the welcome by reception, to all the amazing animals which you could tell were really looked after, all enclosures were clean, plenty of water and food for them and everyone enjoyed feeding and petting the roo's once they warmed up to us. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're In the area. Keep up the good work 😊

A popular tourist spot, this perched lake features pure water, white sand beaches & picnic space.
It’s one of my favorite places and if the weather is good u will see blue sky and super clean water with soft white sand beach。
Please don’t bring anything to eat here let’s keep it clean and beautiful.

Lake McKenzie is just an ideal place to swim. One of the few occasions in Australia when I've not been concerned about being eaten by the wildlife!! The lake is so poor in nutrients it's a great place to find sundews.

This lake is amazing. The water is so blue and nice. It just looks like a gem. I swam across the lake which was great. The white sandy beach is gorgeous.
H F — Google review
The most blue and crystal clear lake I’ve ever seen
Jasmine Zhu — Google review
Lake McKenzie makes it probably the most visited natural site on the island. It is a ‘perched’ lake, which means it contains only rainwater, no groundwater, is not fed by streams and does not flow to the ocean. The sand and organic matter at the base of the lake form an impervious layer, preventing rainwater from draining away.
The sand here is pure, white silica and is not only beautiful to look at but feels beautifully soft to walk on. The sand acts as a filter, giving the water its clarity and helping to make the water so pure it can support very little life. The blues and greens of the lake are endlessly fascinating and it’s well worth getting up early to look across it in the soft light of dawn.
I have been here many times and it has always been an incredible place to be, but this particular visit was different as its the very first time I've really seen the true colours after receiving my colour correction glasses (I'm a colour-blind)... what did this mean?
Hard to describe but it's like visiting for the first time again... Simply mind-blowing!

Walk along the river was great, even in the rain.
Road in was pretty dirty, but don't let that stop you.

Lots of history and very well maintained, toilets are better here than lake mackenzie, the walk down to the creek is beautiful the water is clear however no swimming allowed in this creek.

Other then the massive storm, it’s one of the best camp spots I have ever been to. Family had a ball, facility’s were clean and the campsites were distinctly separated.

Great spot, in depths of shade so solar suffered a bit. Not that clear where to put RV but generous space when found a site. Wildlife pretty forward despite lack of dingos so do lock up bins and food

At this place you should go for the walk along the Wanggoolba Creek. Thias creek is flow on very fine white sand. The thing is sometimes you do not see the water as it is invisible clear. We did not use the camping area which is also closed by.

Central Station Rainforest is a great walk you are mainly walking on a boardwalk where you see many aged trees which are huge! There is a beautiful creek that runs through the forest which is a great site to see. There is a lot of history hear and you can read about it on different plaques along the way.

This is the most disgusting campground. Filthy bathrooms, broken showers, smelt so bad you had to hold your hand over your nose to enter. I wouldn't use the toilets they are so terrible. Showers took the coins, no water came out, hardware hanging off the wall. It was like a scene out of Jurassic Park. The campground itself is unkempt. Dirty bins and dirty 'camp kitchen'.

I love this place in the Fraser Island. There are lovely plants especially the giant Staghorns
We had a great experience feeding the wild dolphins. We were lucky to have a Mum and baby come in too. $10 a fish to feed the dolphins. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and gave a very informative talk whilst waiting for the dolphins to arrive. It's a very well run procedure and all the volunteers work well to make this a unique experience. My only suggestion would be to try and repair the small ramp that goes to the beach so the elderly and disabled area little safer. The Cafe was well run & pancakes were delicious.

We had an amazing time here, staff and volunteers are just amazing and bubbly. Unfortunately we didn't eat here but the food looked good. We attended the dolphin feeding and even got up close to feed them, wow so much knowledge was given about these beautiful creatures. No pets aloud as its inside the establishment.

Awesome experience feeding dolphins here. There are limited spots and it costs $10 per person. Come early to make sure you get a spot. Also, there is heaps of parking nearby. Once you get a token, you’re definitely going to get the opportunity to feed the dolphins as they only provide enough tokens- so you don’t need to be scared or rushed! The staff are all very friendly and courteous; they educate you about the history of the place and the dolphins’ names and lives, then they also make sure you are comfortable and safe during the feeding!

Really appreciated the gentleman on the phone who told us to come before 7am. We got here at 6:30am, saw 2 dolphins & a group of amazing volunteers who run this place in order, especially at school holiday. Had a great time!

We had an amazing experience again at Barnacles with the family and feed the dolphins. The dolphins were late for the 7am time but absolutely worth the wait. They were beautiful and the staff friendly.

A lovely waterfront cafe with plenty of seating and a relaxing view over the estuary
The staff are friendly, service is fast and food & coffee, fresh n hot ☕️
There’s parking right out front and no steps to worry about
Highly recommended to everyone visiting Tim Can Bay, and early birds can enjoy participating in or watching the daily dolphin feeding, right at your doorstep ☀️

Great to watch and feed the dolphins. $10 to enter which includes a fish to feed the dolphins. We arrived at 6:30am and were second in line. Gates open at 7:00 feeding started around 8:00. The hosts give lots of info about the dolphins while you wait. Excellent

Grabbed a BLT while eating for the dolphin feeding. The food was pretty good and the coffee was passable. The dolphin feeding experience was excellent! A well run program 👌

Amazing experience to get up close with humpback dolphins. We fed them fish, chatted with the volunteers, then had breakfast at the cafe. This has become an annual visit for us.

I did the dolphin experience here. It was the highlight of my holiday. Very orderly and well run considering the number of people. Wonderful volunteers who are knowledgeable and friendly. Best $10 I've ever spent!

Feeding the dolphins was a great experience. All the volunteers were very informative and lovely to talk to. The cafe staff and food were nice. I do think there should be a much wider cement path for the safety of all the visitors to pass to and fro from the feeding area. And especially on a busy day (ours was apparently quiet) it definitely warrants another toilet.

We travelled on The Rattler yesterday. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and lunch at the Rusty Rails Cafe on our return. We travelled through some beautiful scenery and enjoyed the quirks of steam train travel. The destination at Amamoor would be perfect for a picnic lunch. Would recommend the trip.

Great experience for young and old. Locomotive and passenger carriages have been lovingly restored. Very helpful volunteers staffed the train. Interesting commentary during the trip. Orders for lunches taken before the train ride started. Well organised. One of our party had a fall, and the well-trained staff did everything possible to make her journey safe and comfortable.

We did the Spooky Train ride and the kids LOVED IT! Such a great atmosphere, the characters were AMAZING! They really brought the train to life with their personalities, their interactions with passengers. Food was delicious, really enjoyed the pasta and the kids love their lunch boxes they get to take home. Definitely going to do another train ride and have already booked it! See you all again. Thank you everyone who made the train ride an AWESOME experience for my kids and myself. Everyone made us feel very welcomed from the moment we arrived at the station to the moment we left. The crew are very friendly.

Well we loved it, what a great day the service was fantastic, the staff were very friendly and engaging. The train ride was excellent, very peaceful and relaxing. We did not order from the cafe, would have been good to know there was food available on the train to purchase, I didn't see this anywhere on the website, maybe I missed it?
We had a booking for 4 but my parents car broke down and couldn't make it, I received a credit on the day which I was very happy about, thank you.
I would highly recommend; it was such a lovely experience.

Beautiful train ride with views over valleys and rivers. Very interesting watching the locomotive turned on the pneumatically powered turntable at Amamoor.

Chose spontaneously to board this train when visiting friends in Gympie. The train station is beautiful with all amenities including a cafe that offers a great menu. Food looked fabulous and unfortunately we didn't have time to eat here.
Purchasing tickets and getting on board was easy and staff were very helpful.
Great to sit on a train with comfortable, padded seats, having windows down and hearing the whistle!
Stops at a few places for 'change of staff- and then arrive at Amamoor where the train gets turned around on the turnstiles for return journey home.
While waiting, there are toilets, few ladies hold a 'market' where you can purchase home made items, a local shop to purchase sandwiches/coffee etc etc.
Enjoyable ride and volunteer staff are friendly.
They do stick to a rigid time table, so don't be late.

Yesterday I did the Silver Bullet high tea experience with a friend. It was so special and an trip I'd highly recommend. The Mary Valley Rattler team are truly wonderful and so passionate about what they do. The food was amazing. Beautifully presented with a great selection of savoury and sweet. Bottomless coffee and tea with a sparkling and take away MVR glass makes it exceptional value.
The train travels through the Gympie countryside to the quaint little Dagun station. It's a lovingly restored station with book exchange and stands set-up for liqueur tastings (not available Friday, but it did make me want to come back). There are also beautiful timber picnic tables with seats for sale .
Spoiler Alert - the chocolate dipped strawberries on the way back from Dagun were AMAZING! In fact, the best I've ever eaten!
Thank you to everyone for such a special morning and the great work you do.

We had a lovely day on the Rattler last weekend. Riding the rails in an old style carriage with the windows open and the smell of the engine was a fun experience. Along the way we were given some interesting facts about the train and the area we were travelling through via the pa system and our attendant. At the end of the line there were little market stalls with locals selling their handmade wares, a wine and cheese tasting, and an older gentleman entertaining the crowd with his guitar. The menu was ok, not a great selection for the mains and they were both hot dishes. The desserts were nicely presented and tasty. Overall I probably would have been happier with sandwiches and scones with jam and cream. It's a good day out for families, train enthusiasts and those who just want to slow down and enjoy a trip through the countryside.

Great experience! We appreciated the trip on the beautifully and detailed restored steam train a lot! Those wooden cars with them old red comfy seat benches made all the difference. Hopping in the driver cabin of the locomotive, getting everything explained by the proud experienced driver was amazing!
Kudos to the team of volunteers and those thousands of hours they put in to have everything in good service today! Highly recommend!!

We travelled on the Mary Rattler on Sunday and chose the Gold Class experience. The trip was fantastic with the wind gently blowing though the train windows as we journeyed through the countryside. The sound of the train and smell of the coal was really cool.. We had a cheese and nibble platter and a glass of bubbles as part of the package. Our host Marilyn was fabulous, chatted to us and ensured we had a great time. Definately recommend.

For steam train enthusiasts, this was very enjoyable. We went on the top package, which was travel in the "club car" with an excellent mid morning snack & cold drinks. The attendant was very attentive & knowledgeable. At the end of the line, the train went onto the working turntable, which was a treat to see. Only negative for me was the scenery wasn't over exciting, but the train & the stations were well worth it. The package we had included lunch after.

We had a very enjoyable day on the Mary Valley Rattler, from Gympie to Amamoor the train takes a route along the Mary River and through local countryside. The staff from Engineer to Conductor are very engaging and informative about the history of this classic steam-powered train and the surrounding region. Highlight was the turntable at the Amamoor end of the trip and a chance to stand with the engineer at the firebox of the coal-driven steam locomotive.

A magnificent day on the Mary Valley Rattler.
The volunteers do an incredible job in maintaining and running this lovely old steam train.
The scenery from the train is stunning and at Amamoor and Dagun (Sunday only) they had good food, local entertainment and lovely country hospitality.
Such a lovely trip which we had booked before covid and finally got to enjoy.

Outstanding experience. We chose to celebrate some birthdays with a High Tea on the Silver Bullet from the Gympie Railway Station to Dagun. A two and a half hour return trip. As a group of four we enjoyed outstanding service, generous food choices, beautiful scenery and a knowledgeable commentary. Arriving early allowed us time for a coffee or pastry at the Rusty Rails Cafe, visit the gift shop and the museum. Unforgettable and a desire to return. Just do it!

1) steam train itself is cool! Also the station is very pretty
2) staffs are lovely!
3) it’s no scenery view about this route, you only look at peoples backyard
4) salami of the cheese platter is off, end up me and my husband had diarrhoea afterwards, it’s not fun
5) food was very average at the cafe, we thought the food we ordered with the train package would give us a on board dining experience but basically eat it after we finish the train ride, if we know the it’s the case, it’s no point to order the VIP package

The choice to book VIP was a good one. Very happy with the trip which included cheese platter and beverages. Lunch on return. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The whole atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. Amamoor was a lovely stop off with the engine rewind a highlight.

We used the Black Friday sale last yr for 2x half price regular tickets as Christmas gifts (because unfortunately the standard price is a bit outside of our budget at the moment) and had been wanting to do the Rattler for yrs. We used our passes recently on a Sunday and it was a fantastic day out! We booked fairly late so we were in the carriage with dogs but that was fine. Prior notice would be good though, not when we arrived but anyway! The trip was fantastic, the stops and activities were too, the service was friendly, we would suggest the team members doing the commentating obtain a little more speaking experience and confidence to make it easier for guests to listen to and follow but the information delivered was great. Would definitely return and bring some rellies of all ages who'd love it too. Oh, we didn't realise we could take food on board before we arrived, that's a nice bonus. Thanks for keeping this vintage and special train travel experience alive! 👏 Clint and Aimee 😊

We enjoyed a Sunday run on the Mary Valley Rattler in the VIP Club Car. What a fantastic day and wonderful historical experience. The Club Car was set-up beautifully with comfortable bucket chairs and a table, with a copy of the Gympie paper and a bottle of water each in a souvenir cooler. We were provided a drink of choice and a cheese platter on the journey. Stopped at Amamoor and watched the engine turn around then stopped at Dagun on the way back. Wonderful volunteers, music, games and stalls. On return to Gympie we enjoyed a two course lunch in the Rusty Rails Cafe and another drink of choice. We had a fabulous day and thought the VIP tickets were well worth the experience. So great to see how everyhing has been lovingly restored and a such a special piece of QLD history. Thank you!

Well, what a day! Fantastic experience, we loved every minute. All staffed by volunteers, we had the lovely Deb & Sherrie in our carriage, and they absolutely made the adventure even better!!! So much fun, and a good laugh! Great job girls!👍🏼
Be sure to check your days/dates, they don't run the steam engine every day.
Pack your own food, or buy from the cafe at either end of the journey. OR You can even order your lunch whilst on the train, and it will be waiting for you when you get back. We took this option, and the food was delicious! Packaged beautifully, we sat and ate it in the old station Cafe.
Heritage museum featuring artifacts related to the region's gold mining history & a cafe.
Was a very interesting visit. Lots of information for the various displays in the individual old buildings/houses. Lots of old artifacts with many donations by local families from the area. Got a personal tour of a new display in the works. Can pan for gold, which is a big part of the towns history. The Cafe was good for lunch, we had the special, pork rolls. Plenty of drinks to choose from, ice creams for the kids too. We spent about 2.5hrs looking around...there's a lot to look at for the history buffs. Well worth a visit.

A nice place to stop for a quick look around. There’s lots of vintage mining equipment, vehicles, and a gold panning area. Reasonable for an hour or two, but otherwise fairly limited. A small cafe on site, and a nice park nearby for a walk too.

A truely wonderful historical learning experience. A visit to this Museum shows the thousands of days/weeks of collating and organising the many, many detailed exhibits that community members have made to capture the historical formation of Gympie.
One could visit many times. Exhibits are housed in individual sheds of all types, houses of note, olde school buildings etc.
There are many pieces of heavy industry machinery, including gold mining and railway buildings and rail equipment.
There is a Gem Club with a sparkling display. Well kept lawns and gardens make a place of peace and serenity.
There is a cafe and facilities.
A affordable and modest entry fee helps funds the Centre.

This is a large museum with a wide range of items on display. Things were well laid out in order to give the viewer a good idea of usage. My partner and I are old enough to know what another of these were and even used a lot of them.
I marked you down as the 1 thing both of us were really keen to learn about, paning for gold had very little on it. The instructions were vague, and we really had no idea what we were doing or even what to look for. This is a practical skill and needs practical instruction. Something maybe that could be improved on.
Col Payn — Google review
Zero staff available, zero information provided and half the buildings were still closed due to 2022 floods. All the kids wanted to do was learn how to pan for gold but the two staff on were struggling to keep up with the 3 customers that wanted coffee and had no interest in museum customers. 100% self guided and there are a few things kids might be interested in but definitely not worth the $30 admission as you get absolutely nothing for it other than a walk around some old stuff.

What a seriously good collection of artifacts and information about the region. Well done Gympie for celebrating your achievements. Some great memories, which without this museum would be lost to us all. Of note was the wonderful story behind how the Australian Light Horse came to wear the emu feathers in their hats. Without a visit, wouldn't have known that. Keep up the good work and it is important that people keep donating to the collection to keep the towns rich history alive. The café is nice way to unwind before or after the museum. Was pleased we ordered the wedges and sandwich, both enjoyable and a decent portion size. Thanks ladies.

Really enjoyed the exposition covering a wide range of local history from the Gold Rush, Mining, Railway history, farming, schools, etc. Sad to see the museum seems to be heavily affected by the 2022 floods some exhibitions vanished (like the scouts or the model railway), some seem in dire need of upkeep (especially the ones on the lower section of the museum). Still, good job & good luck! 🤞

The cafe staff demonstrated questionable, poor food handling practices. The hygiene and food safety protocols should be checked by an inspector here some time.
Secondly, the woman serving wasn’t very friendly in her interactions with customers and the atmosphere felt unattractive and uncomfortable.

Beautiful North facing ocean beach just in the centre of the town.
Noosa National Park is a large and picturesque area that offers a variety of outdoor activities such as mountain summit walks, coastal trails, wildlife viewing, and swimming opportunities. It boasts magnificent views of the coast, including the chance to spot dolphins. The park can be reached via a beautiful boardwalk along the coastline from town. At the entrance, visitors can find free walking maps and information on koala sightings at the Noosa National Park Information Centre.
This place is more beautiful than they seem in photos. Trekking route is mostly covered by trees. You can stop and enjoy good views in many spots.
I am so sad that I could not see most of the park because I could not park my car. Hours wasted... I see from the reviews that this is the case almost for all weekends. So, if you visit here at the weekend you should arrive before 8am in the morning. Or park your car far, take a bus/uber.

Gorgeous national park and one of the most easily accessed walk ways into the park itself. Recommend coming here early in the morning for the sunrise and to avoid the crowds. Beware the other holiday makers that will crowd the car park up. The beaches are gorgeous, if a little flat, so they're perfect for families or individuals who aren't interested in pushing themselves too hard. No flag or lifesavers so it's best to play it safe

Noosa National Park on Queensland's Sunshine Coast is a coastal paradise that captivates visitors with its natural beauty. My friend and I use the coastal route and we are satisfied with our decision. This is the recommended route because most of the walkways are even and cost least energy to travel (except the Sunshine beach, Alexandria Bay and some paths have stairs) but still can enjoy picturesque beaches, scenic walking trails, and breathtaking ocean views. The coastal track offers panoramic vistas and chances to spot dolphins and whales (but really rare, I don't have a chance to see them but hear their sound from a distance near Dolphin Point). The park's interior trails showcase diverse flora, fauna, and iconic landmarks like Hell's Gates. Well-maintained facilities and knowledgeable staff enhance the experience. People can still choose to experience Tanglewood walk and Hill walk but remember to follow the instructions along the way, do not walk alone and bring enough water with you. Be mindful of crowds by visiting on weekdays or arriving early as well. Noosa National Park is an enchanting destination for nature enthusiasts and have a great trip!

Magnificent views with 5 excellent walks of varying lengths. Parking can be tricky as the car park fills fast and early (by 9am). There is also street parking for about 30 cars but it's 2 hours so you need to be mindful of that. Having said that most walks/trails can be easily completed under 2 hours.
The coastal walk to Hell's gate is brilliant as is Alexandria beach. There is also a very small trail right at the entrance of just over 1 klms but it's brilliant also. We did 4 out of the five walks in 2 days followed by an hour or two cooling off at Noosa Beach. The water was 26 Celsius...
There is also adequate toilet facilities at the entrance and all walks are well signed. Enjoy.

The Noosa National Park is absolutely gorgeous. The coastal walk offers such incredible views of the ocean and hidden coves along the shoreline. I definitely recommend doing the walk if you visit Noosa. It takes around 2 hours each way and does get at little rocky and unstable towards the Sunshine Beach end. But it is totally worth it.

Such a beautiful national park, the water is so clear and it's in turquoise colour. There're a lot of different walks to choose from but personally I think the coastal walk is the best. You can spot some whales during the migration season. There's also a fairy pool here, which is pretty cool, bring a swimwear if you'd like to do a dip! Definitely child friendly but dogs are not allowed here. Public restrooms are available. There's an information centre at the start of the walk. Parking can be hard to find if you come late.

The Noosa National Park walk/hike turned out to be a fantastic experience. With several trail options to choose from, I had the luxury of exploring the park in very pleasant weather. The symphony of bird songs accompanied me along the way, creating a soothing atmosphere.
To my delight, luck was on my side as I spotted a kangaroo during my walk. While I wasn't able to capture a photo, the memory remains vivid. If you're planning a visit to Noosa, the Noosa National Park walk/hike is a must-include item in your itinerary. It's an experience that showcases the park's natural beauty and wildlife, making it a perfect addition to your bucket list.

Had a lovely stroll through this national park. The car park gets quite busy. This was our third day attempting to visit the national park (due to parking difficulties). Lots of camper vans when we arrived at 6.30am however we were able to get a parking spot this time which was great. National park was very busy even this early in the morning. Lots of people running and walking, often had to move out of the way. Overall a nice morning out

What a beautiful national park. Multiple walking trails with amazing views. If you are looking for an active activity to do with the family, I would highly recommend a visit here. Lots of places to stop along the walk including secluded beaches, fairy rock pools and viewing docks. Making it to the peak at Hell's gate is well worth the trek. Be warned, it gets busy so if you can walk here instead of drive that is definitely the better option as finding a car park after 9am will be hard.

The walking trails are great but I wish we could of downloaded them prior to going so that we knew what we were really in for (appreciate this might exist already but didn’t fond it easily).
Anyway, this is certainly worth doing if you can appreciate a good view and some natural beauty. Pack enough water and maybe a snack!

Nice street, lots of uninteresting shops right by the beach. Would not recommend.

Hastings Street is at the heart of Noosa retail, restaurants, beach and Nat Park. There are a plehora of eateries and upmarket retail and it's easy to combine time on the beach with a stroll down Hastings Street before choosing a place for lunch or dinner.
It's often very busy, and while there's parking on the street, there are two good sized free public car parks adjacent Noosa Drive just near the corner of Hastings Street and Noosa Drive. Midday is busy and parking can be tricky but earlier morning or evening its very accessible.

Many nice and beautiful shops adorning the streets left and right. Plenty of parking areas. There's a number of eateries like restaurant and food court along the street. Plenty of seats too. Nice ambience and clean area. The shops sell stuff a bit on the high side probably because a lot of landed properties surrounding the area. Good vibes though.

One of my favourite places in Australia. Something special about this street.
It can be pricey, and it's also full of yuppies, but it's always kind of been like that.
Lots of nice boutique shops, as well as access to one of the nicest busy beaches in Australia. There are very nice boardwalks nearby too!

One way in, one way out. The traffic and parking here is disgusting. Very Gold Coast feeling. I cannot believe it has allowed to get so bad. Ruins the initial want and desire to visit.
The Eumundi Market, Australia's largest and finest art and craft market, has been running twice a week since 1979. Located in the charming historic town of Eumundi, it showcases locally made arts and crafts alongside a delectable variety of street food. With over 500 stalls nestled under towering heritage listed fig trees, this open-air gallery attracts more than 1.6 million visitors each year.
I love this market!!! You can find lots of pretty accessories here! Rings, necklaces, bracelets which there are all beautiful and amazing! You won’t got disappointed here. Open every Wednesday and Saturday.

Quite a fan of the markets there was a lot to see and a bit of everything for everyone. Expected more fresh produce which there wasn't much of unless I completely missed it.
I did have some of the softest cinnamon donuts I've ever had. Dont eat breakfast before hand I wished I hadn't as there was a good assortment to choose from.
Decent amount of parking although you had to pay I think it was $7 once all the on-street free parking was full.

Surely one of the biggest market, if you are unable to purchase anything here, even then you will be going back with a lots of good experience.
The atmosphere here is very vibrant due to live music and people asking, inquiring about the things displayed all around.
Home decor is one area where one wish to have everything for own home.
There is a huge range of products on display for everyone like Home Decor, Shell art, clothing, food, leather and wall art etc just to name a few.
Parking is quite near to the entrance and I feel they charge heavily.
Well, this is a must visit place to get the feel of local market and products. Time spent very well, although feeling tired but enjoyed the experience.

This is the BIGGEST market I’ve ever seen, if you can get through it all in a few hours - well done! 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼
I didn’t manage to see it all as it became a little repetitive after a while but well worth the visit.
Be prepared for the pile up of traffic on your way in, you will find a $9 car park very close to the entry / side of the market.
The live music gives it a real country / market vibe.
The atmosphere is very calm & relaxing.
If you like a slow stroll through the isles browsing through all the works of the unique artisans & their creations, you’ll love this market.
There is something for everyone.
Lots of food & drink stalls to stop at & savour the moment.
Big range of things to look at / purchase include
•jewellery
•wall art
•leather goods
•clothing
•candles
•hats
•soap
•shell art
Just to name a few 💵
I highly recommend you visit this market if not to purchase anything, just for the experience! 🎉

Absolutely amazing it was the biggest markets I have ever been to in Australia and I have been to 100' all over this country. Highly recommended with 100's of different stores to shop around if you can't find what your after there than you won't find it anywhere lol. And such a vast variety of food stores with food from all over the world for your hunger to be tamed.

Plenty free parking. Great food and plenty stalls to browse through. Fantastic range and awesome people a total must. We enjoyed the freshly squeezed orange juice, doesn't get fresher than this then the food, gosh come hungry as the choices are endless yet affordable. Bathrooms onsite also very clean. Pet owners bring your hairy friends, Moms and baby yip wide enough walking or strollers isles. I'm told the Eumundi markets is on Wednesday and Saturdays 830am to 2pm.

These are the biggest markets I've ever seen. We spent about 3 hours there but I'm not confident that we saw over 60%.
I recommend starting at the high side on the main road and then criss-crossing as you move downhill.
Lots of stalls of crafts, food, and everything you can imagine.
Parking can be an issue, but you just need to be patient as there are a lot of people coming and going.
Wheelchair friendly. Toilets available.

Really love the vibes!!! My first time in this market and love it! They sell various products and food 😍 the parking area is spacious and easy access. We parked in the grass area and paid for $9. A good choice to spend with your loved ones on the weekend 😍

Markets definitely worth visiting. Unfortunately two experiences left an unpleasant taste in mouth. The persons looking after the $7.00 parking need to work on their people skills plus more than some vendors were charging retail and above for products on sale.
This is not to say some great products and food were uncovered. Over all the markets are worth a trip.

It is a great market. The stalls sell a good variety of products. Food for lunch is delicious. Good music playing. The great thing is you can take your dog. Eumundi is still beautiful.

Absolutely sensational day out at this wonderful Market in picturesque surroundings. Plenty of parking, A voluminous & fantastic variety amount of stalls on offer in a great atmosphere. Plenty of food & drink stalls as well. Light entertainment throughout the market. & then there are more shops & a great pub in the town itself. Highly recommend a visit but be prepared for large crowds & a full day of walking 🙂👍🍻

We like coming here for breakfast. Great selection of market food. Parking is hard to find but great place to visit. Lots of beautiful handmade products, food market and artsy stuff. There is an awesome playground for kids to hang out. Toilet is located next to the playground. Make sure bring your own toilet paper because few times I've been there and toilet paper run out in the female toilets.

We love to visit Eumundi markets on the weekend. There is an amazing dim sim stall called “pop’s” that we frequent every time we go. We also love the vegan cupcakes that are available bi-weekly, although the name of the stall evades me. The overall vibe of the market is super chill, and while some things stay the same, there always seems to be new things popping up to keep it interesting.

The best market I've been to. Such a wide range of quality products. The best range of food that I've seen anywhere, was so hard to choose what to eat. Finally found my favourite drink, raw natural sugar cane juice I was in my element. The young man singing was super talented and made a welcoming relief to sit in the shade and listen to him perform. Looking forward to returning to this fabulous market.

Easter holidays, so a lovely autumn coolish day at markets , the parking was an issue but thankfully after waiting 15 minutes for turn off , car parking angel 😇 arrived . Markets had been open for a few hours we arrived at 10 and needed breakfast before browsing . We took our dog 🐕 who had a great time and plenty of dog bowls for furry friends. Breakfast of açai bowls , orange juice and crepes, we easily spent hours . Found most beautiful hand made bowl 🥣 and water Lilly’s . Not many photos of stalls which are 100’s as too immersed walking and looking . Suggestion to allow 3 hours min to browse , eat and chat to the many various people you will meet , locals , travellers, stall holders . After markets found local honey 🍯 at Eumundi . Thinking if a hot summer’s day definitely be early , markets close at 2 .

It has been many years since I visited these wonderful markets, and they keep getting better. An awesome range of vendors, catering to all different tastes and genres.
A must visit for locals and visitor's.
Parking - street is 2 hours on a Saturday.
Or you can pay to stay longer. $9 was the going rate, a bit pricey, so unless you plan to stay a long time, go for the free parking. Get there early, markets start around 7.30.

Great art & craft market. Quite big and can get busy at peak times, however there are plenty of places to sit under the shade of the large trees. Lots of snack & drink options. Allow a few hours to wander around. There is a large car park ($9) just before you arrive to the markets. Market is Open on Wednesday & Saturdays.

While this is a huge market and great experience, there are many similar stalls. It didn't worry us, but i was expecting more art.
There is a heck of a lot of jewellery and clothes.
The art that was there had good points of difference.
Lots of produce and food. Hat stalls seemed to feature, a few leather makers, organic potions and more.
There is a stone masion making some interesting features for gardens.

If you plan to visit Noosa, I recommend going on market open days. It's quite large with a variety of goods and food, offering plenty to see! I'm planning to go again whenever I get the chance.
There's nothing quite like a scenic drive through the Sunshine Coast hinterland, and our Sunday adventure led us to an absolute gem – Kenilworth Dairies cafe. The journey itself was a delight, winding our way up through the charming town of Maleny, cruising through Baloomba, and following the early twists and turns of the Mary River, we felt the week's stress melt away.
Upon arriving in the picturesque town of Kenilworth, we were greeted by the quaint and inviting atmosphere of the Kenilworth Dairies cafe and decided to have a look. With an appetite for something local and authentic, we decided on the Cheese Platter for two, and let me tell you – it was a decision well made!
The platter was a cheese lover's utopia, boasting an absolutely delicious selection of local cheeses that were the perfect match to the fresh, succulent fruit accompanying them. Each bite was a testament to the quality and care put into their locally made produce.
For anyone seeking the quintessential hinterland experience, or just a fabulous weekend drive with a tasty destination, I highly recommend making a stop at Kenilworth Dairies cafe. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you!
Bonus Tip for the Adventurous Foodies 🧀: After you've snagged your delectable cheese platter for two, take a scenic drive north of Kenilworth and head towards the serene Borumba Dam. It's the perfect picturesque area for a romantic picnic or a chill day out with your friends!

Busy bakery in Kenilworth. Yummy ice-creams & the coffee was good. Service friendly but a long wait for our ice-creams. They gave us a double scoop, perhaps due to the long wait. Lots of shaded seating. Great selection of cheese, yoghurt, honey, etc to bring home.

Stopped in for morning tea today. Have been a couple of times before. Always have the nicest cheese but today we also stopped for cuppa and scones. The scones were so soft and fluffy and tasted amazing. Would definitely be back. And as usual the cheese is delicious. A definite must when in the area. Have also become addicted to their salted caramel chocolate mousse. Lucky I don’t live close enough to visit too often. A really big recommendation to try the mousse.

Great place to visit with reasonable prices but be mindful that is a very busy and popular spot.
It was a very long wait to receive ice-cream in a cone. We were pleasantly surprised when we were given 2 scoops instead of the one scoop of ice-cream that we had ordered. It was great to see that they are pro-active in rewarding customers for waiting so long. Definitely returning with esky to stock up on milk, yoghurt and cheese.

The Kenilworth dairies chocolate mouse was one of my favourite desserts. It was lights and had aerated texture. In the last year the quality has been getting worse and worse to the point that now the chocolate mouse is gooey and the taste is awful. I have stomach aches every time I have your mouse now. Your packaging says that the mouse is light and fluffy. That’s false advertising!!
Theme park with displays about ginger, train & boat rides, a tropical garden walk & concessions.
What a fun morning out we had at the Ginger Factory. Entry is free to get you into the shops and cafe inside. You can buy tickets for various rides and tours.
We went for the ginger factory and tasting tour. Cost $56 for 2 adults and 2 children - I feel that it was well worth it! They talk you through their history, how they grow and process their ginger, and at the end, a tasting of a few different food made with various ginger products. Eye opening how versatile ginger can be!!
James, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable & has such a fun upbeat personality, which made our morning so much more fun.
Definitely try their various ginger ice creams sold at the food court - we tried the ginger beer sorbet (a hit with the kids), ginger macadamia & ginger cappuccino (my fav).
Loads of space and activities for families with younger children.
There is also a nursery for you to buy ginger plants - they have gorgeous flowers!! Very reasonably priced.

There is a beautiful rainbow umbrella walkways besides the restaurant for photography. The restaurant has a small but nice menu and the staff are very accommodating in all respects. To conclude there is a something for everyone no matter the age.

Have been here many times but this time my friends and I went on a package deal and toured the Ginger Factory proper, the Beehive tour, and then, after lunch we went on the train and into the boat.
The only thing I will say is that the Beehive lady doesn't need a microphone. But her love of bees shone through and if anyone can get us to but a hive it's this lady.
I had great trepidation about the boat thinking it was just for kids. But I had no idea that we'd be on a floating boat and going around the world made up of 250+ puppets made by locals. Sometimes these things look like they need some TLC but everything was in working order, freshly painted, and just so much fun.
We had lunch with a water dragon couple, went through the shops at the back and left at 4pm.
The only thing that spoilt it was the fact that during mandatory mask using there were 5 couples with 10-12 children between them who didn't wear masks and we were in the vulnerable age group. Wearing our masks is not going to keep us safe from your breath going into our eyes, the most absorbent part of the body.
The guide said he couldn't control it but we were told no mask no entry so why couldn't the Ginger Factory tell them to don or leave?
That was a wonderful 5hrs taken up along with 4hrs return trip drive. Plus goodies that we normally don't purchase.
Super day just before the weather bomb.
How lucky were we!!!

We had a family reunion late last year and decided to stop by to entertain the kids on our way back from Noosa, what a wonderful idea that turned out to be!!! It was our first time visiting the Ginger Factory - the kids had a ball and so did we. There's lots to do and lots to see. Loved the train ride and watching the kids take it all in. Overboard was the highlight of our visit as we got to do the boat rides and fit our families in 2 boats one after the other. Definitely coming back! We had a quiet ride home as the kids were zonked and slept all the way home 😴. Worth the visit and fairly priced for what is offered at the The Ginger Factory 🤩☺️

Wow! We took our elderly father for his weekly out-n-about and the Factory was amazing. I learned a lot from the factory tour, watched the young kids enjoying themselves, and the adults relaxed and unstressed. The gardens are well maintained and amazing. The faculties clean and hygienic. The food court was fabulous and for the first time in a long while, I have to remark how well kept it was. The tables were quickly reset and cleaned with staff removing empty plates and utensils unnoticed. The food selection was boutique, a bit on the pricier side, but we happily paid for the quality and efficiency. We absolutely loved the factory tour, our guide was informative and engaging, and the food tasting at the end was professional and well thought-out. The ginger tidbits were delicious and besides the cheaper factory sample pack we ended up buying lots more from the gift shop to try our hand at some ginger recipes later at home. We planned to stay for an hour, but Dad wanted to see everything! He adored the August art fair. Four hours later we left totally satisfied with our experience. Very worth the entry price. One suggestion for management is to have a look at the railway crossings which are difficult for small-wheeled mobility chairs to negotiate. A minor point that detracted little but a point to consider if you need wheelchair mobility. Highly recommend we will be back!

Th Ginger Factory is a lovely place to visit with the whole family. It has a soft play area with ball pit, for the little ones, babies to 5 years, and for the bigger kids there's a good playground with tunnels and slides and also a jumping castle. All pram and wheelchair friendly paths and free entry! There are beautiful art displays, great photo opportunities, exquisite gardens, and nature friendly with heaps of bearded dragons and birds. There is a tasting room, walks, little shops, a great eatery, a gelato bar, and of course, the very popular train that goes around the park.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time visiting the Ginger factory. What a hidden gem. The train ride was so much fun, the gruffalo walk was an entertaining experience and the kids loved the playground. The staff were lovely and polite considering some of the rude patrons I saw they had to deal with. The gardens are spectacular.

We had so much fun there. Highly recommended for people with children. You will enjoy it. We purchased the bundle tickets. So, we participated in every single paid activities there. We love everything except farm your.
Just a little bit about farm tour. To be honest, it’s nothing really. I don’t recommend you buy a ticket to see it. It’ s just a very small room with some old photos (you can’t social distancing) and you watch vdo about its history. Then look out for machinery from windows. Lastly, taste a little bit of some products.
I suggest the Ginger factory should open a gallery and dedicate some areas for educating people about your history and how to grow ginger and ginger flowers. People can walk around and spend sometimes learning about your factory. 😊

The Ginger Factory in Queensland is an absolute delight! From the moment we stepped foot on the premises, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that made our visit truly exceptional.
What sets the Ginger Factory apart is not just its fascinating ginger-themed attractions and activities but also the incredible food experience it offers. The on-site restaurant is a hidden culinary gem, serving up an array of delectable dishes and some are infused with ginger flavours that awaken the taste buds.
The commitment to using locally-sourced and fresh ingredients was evident in every dish, and it truly elevated our dining experience. The attentive staff made us feel like honoured guests.
The knowledge of ginger and its culinary possibilities added an educational element to our meal.
In addition to the food, the Ginger Factory's café offers an array of ginger-inspired treats, from ginger ice cream to ginger beer tastings that are simply irresistible. It's a paradise for ginger lovers and food enthusiasts alike.
Our heartfelt thanks to the dedicated and friendly staff who made our visit unforgettable. The Ginger Factory's emphasis on hospitality and the culinary journey it offers make it a five-star destination that we can't wait to visit again. Whether you're a ginger enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable dining experience in a beautiful setting, the Ginger Factory is a must-visit in Queensland!

What a fantastic experience. This was my second time visiting this place, and I love it.
My girls love the Gruffalo trail and the bees! The beekeeper was very good at explaining and showing everything about bees.
We did the boat like four times! We visited the factory and the train, of course! I am not a big fan of ginger, but I love to eat and test the different foods, snacks and drinks!
The food at the bar was excellent! There are many GLUTEN-FREE options to choose from, and they are delicious!

My 10-year-old daughter enjoyed it as much as we did. It was a little expensive for 2 x adults & 1 x child = $147.00 which allows you to go to the Factory & Processing Tour, Live Bee Show, Overboard Boat Ride, and a ride on the Ginger Train. We also got to do a free ginger and honey tasting. The people giving the live tour presentation were very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot about ginger and the number of different varieties of the plant and the processing of the product as well as how bees pollinate and make honey and what bees do in hives. We didn't have to wait too long between rides or shows as we got there late in the afternoon, but I would expect long wait times if you turned up early in the day. Like most places, the food and drinks available to purchase are expensive and I wouldn’t want to do it in the middle of a hot day, so we did it in the middle of a hot afternoon instead 🥵

Mooloolaba Beach is a trendy and vibrant seaside location featuring upscale resorts, chic shops, and open-air restaurants with cocktail bars. The beachfront esplanade presents an array of foodie temptations while the patrolled beach offers breathtaking blue waters and pristine white sand. My favourite beach anywhere in the world. Large horse-shoe shaped beach with beautiful sand. Two areas patrolled by lifesavers. One closest to town has nice waves, but is very busy during peak seasons. At the opposite end of the beach it's a lot calmer and family friendly. A great beach to walk along any time of the year. The local council has done a great job in recent years to improve the board walk and esplanade. Love it!

This is our second time back at Mooloolaba beach and we are so happy to be here. The beach itself is centrally located with the surf club, shops and food outlets a stones throw away. There are plenty of tables and grassy areas for a picnic. The lifeguards usually patrol here when you swim between the flags. It’s a close walk to accommodation such as the mantra and others. Parking is relatively easy with a few parking lots close by.

Beautiful beach. Yes there's a safe and patrolled swimming area. However, I tend to walk along the beach to where it's less populated. Lots of space to sit, read a book, watch the surfers, explore the multitude of rock pools that expose themselves at low tide, close my eyes and listen to the ocean. Or grab an ice-cream or take-aways from one of the many restaurants and sit on the beach. Or watch an amazing sunset, moonrise, whatever! Love this beach!

Love the vibe, but still prefer Sufer Paradise in Gold Coast. There were not many shells and the sand texture seems different from Surfers’s Gold Coast

Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World is a lush estate featuring scenic walkways adorned with exotic flora and waterfalls, as well as enclosures for birds and other animals. The bird tour is highly recommended with a 5 star rating, offering visitors the chance to interact with native birds, though those afraid of birds may want to pass. Random bird landings add to the experience, while guides help facilitate photo opportunities with select birds.
Absolutely an amazing and must do experience whilst on the sunshine coast. We went twice as the first day we went it was raining heavily and did not get to see most of the gardens and the birds were mostly sheltering from the rain. On our return trip it was amazing. The gardens and views were incredible and the birds definitely the highlight and best part. The keepers are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and take great care of all the birds. Was an awesome experience and I cannot wait to return!

Visit to the Maleny Botanical Garden.
It was a very interesting and great experience. We spent 5 hours including Picnic Lunch and a buggy ride through the absolutely magic kept gardens and forest - topped by a visit to a giant aviary and interaction with the birds. Everything what has to be known about them - was explained by Savannah - a charming young lady - she made sure everybody had the opportunity to have a Parrot 🦜 on a shoulder. Safety was priority one.
The views are spectacular - a photographers dream! They also have a gift shop to buy some souvenirs- handy for visitors from overseas - especially the toy birds.
One thing to mention is - some of the paths are very steep - and maybe hard for some visitors - so the buggy is definitely a "must" and is also fun. Don't worry about the expense - it's worth it!
Congratulations to the Managment for an absolutely perfect run Tourist venue. Thank you to all the staff, that helped with the booking and the explaining of how the buggy is operating - again safety explained. Highly recommended for an outing with children to learn about all the magnificent Parrots.
Thank you - we will be back with Overseas Visitors.

We had the most amazing experience here at the Bird world. The opportunity to be able to interact with the birds and the farm animals is so wonderful.
It's a great place for adults and kids alike.
The botanical gardens are beautifully landscaped with many walking paths and places to sit down and relax or even have a picnic. The many little ponds and lakes add to the beauty and serenity of the gardens. You can come equipped with your own picnic basket, or you could rent one once you arrive.
I would suggest visiting the gardens early in order to cover the entire extent of the gardens.
There is free parking on site.
A definitely must visit place if you are a nature and animal/ bird lover!!

This place offers amazing opportunity to interact with birds.
During your visit, you enter various rooms and learn the story of their inhabitants.
The birds seem happy, trusting, not stressed, and often very curious about new guests. They come to you on their own, sit on your shoulder or sing love serenades to you..
It was absolutely sweet experience.
I believe this place will remain close to my heart.
Thank you for what you do, it's a mission worth supporting!

This is a gem of a place. The bird aviary is a great experience. Our guide Lydia was very informative and everyone who wanted to, got a chance to hold a bird. The macaws were so impressive. Then we went to visit the very cute farm animals. Mother nature didn't gift us with great weather but the gardens still looked beautiful and our 6 year went back twice to the boat. When the weather cleared a bit we still saw the amazing view. I would also recommend visiting the toilets for a surprise in there. Can't believe I've been to Maleny so many times and never visited here. We will definitely be back.

The bird tour gets a 5 star and was well worth it. The gardens get a 3 as there is currently a lot if renovation work but that being said stands good for the improvements those work will bring in the future.
The bird tour will allow you the chance to interact with a variety of birds a lot of which are native. If your scared of birds probably not for you. The birds will land on people at random which is a part of the experience. The guide will assist you to have some great photo opportunities with selected birds.
Buggies are available for hire to get you around the gardens should you choose but it's not necessary.
Lots of picnic spots heaps of car parking, Cafe and toilets.

Wow, definitely a must visit when in Maleny/sunshine coast! My husband and I bought the package which included the general admission, bird sanctuary tour, 2 picnic boxes, and 1 hour buggy hire. The food was actually really good, and the bird tour was so fun and interactive, as we had plenty of birds land on our heads and arms! There were lots of beautiful picnic spots and garden areas around the whole place which you can view on foot or with the buggy (we did both), and there is a section with cute farm animals you can feed, pat and hold. Absolutely beautiful place, would definitely come back next time I'm in the area! 😃🦜🦚

Loved this place, in particular the birds. Jess took us through the aviary with all the beautiful parrots & macaws. Not shy at all & quite a few land on your shoulders/head or try & dislodge earrings or zippers or anything shiny. Such amazing birds. Loved it.

I visited on Friday. There was ample parking. The Cafe was good. I spent almost a day there and covered all the park attractions. The Aviary tour was the most memorable. The guide made sure each person gets chance to carry those beautiful birds on the head or hands or shoulder. I would suggest not to choose the blue feather and enjoy the birds getting cozy around you.
Farm animals are so cute. Don't forget to ask your kids to feed them. They will enjoy this.
The ponds, gazebo, waterfalls, boat, rose garden, and everything was so beautiful. There was no rush and you can relax with your kids.
My humble suggestion is to add few more food items. I will visit again.

We visited this afternoon (a Wednesday) and grabbed a quick lunch from the cafe before entering the gardens. Our baguettes were tasty and the view magnificent.
We headed off around the gardens, a really lovely little walk down finished roads and through grassy paths as well. Be prepared to walk up and down some steep hills! Golf carts are available for hire so that makes it more accessible.
Unfortunately some areas were closed and being worked on, and many areas were in need of weeding. The fairy garden is a little sad with the fairy behind a gate! I can see how maybe people might have been nicking off with small objects, a bit of a shame. It'd be cute to see the area planted out with succulents and mosses. I would have loved to see some little plaques with information about the plants around the garden too - lots of ideas for me for my garden but I had to take photos so I could remember to google later.
The highlight was the aviary tour, the guide was fantastic, knowledgeable and personable. The birds are truly spectacular and will come up to land on you and have a nibble on your clothing. My husband's collar must have been tasty, he's now got a few holes for me to mend!
The second best part was the petting zoo. Absolutely adorable and heart stealing. It was a lovely afternoon!

This place is a MUST for young and old alike. I live locally and had never been here until 2 days ago when my visitors requested to go there. I’d definitely been missing out as this place is awesome. We did the Avery tour which is well worth the investment to get up close and personal with the many feathered friends which are so well looked after and loved. The cafe is lovely with a good choice of menu items. I thoroughly recommend the foot long kransky and sauerkraut bun and the other menu items are good too with large serves of food for very reasonable prices.
The animal farm is clean and the animals are well looked after and cuddly…even the little miniature goats. The pig is not so cuddly but very affectionate to those who enter.
The staff are very knowledgeable about all things feathered and furred. The gardens are manicured perfectly and so so pretty. You may hire a golf buggy for around $45 for an hour to help you get around the botanical gardens or walk but there are a lot of hills and it’s quite a large area.
The cafe is open to guests even if you don’t wish to partake in an Avery tour.
I can’t encourage you all enough to go to this amazing place. We loved it.

We had an amazing time!! The tour of the Aviary was amazing! Biggest we have seen so the animals could happily fly around. The guide was super friendly and knowledgeable. Most of the birds have been rescued or obtained from previous owners. They’re well looked after. The animal farm was awesome also! I’ve never seen such clean pens. Best scones I’ve had from the cafe with a gorgeous view of the glass house mountains. Opted to walk around the gardens as we wanted the exercise - gorgeous flowers and wild birds flying in. Loved our time there, would highly recommend and would love to come back with relatives!

Was a great experience and the gardens are beautiful.
The bird tour can be a little long for small children and does get quite warm, take a water bottle.
If you have vouchers it’s recommended to redeem online before arriving. However you can also redeem vouchers on the day.

💯 recommend this place! The bird experience alone was worth it! We absolutely loved the wildlife and variety of birds 🐦 and information on them! You can hire a buggy to get around the gardens and the scenery is breathtaking. We will definitely be back and will tell all our friends to visit!! Thanks guys! From your South Australian fans!

Beautiful gardens with breathtaking scenery.
The bird sanctuary is good fun for the family if you like birds too. Very steep hills, if you have trouble climbing you can rent a buggy, but it costs a fair bit. Nice place for a family picnic too, or you can buy some food from their kitchen as well. They are planning to have farm animals at 2022 year end, we would definitely visit again.

Wonderful experience that I’m so happy to have done! Kindest staff ever that made it a truly unique place. We signed up for the last bird world tour so our group was smaller and more personal. The staff clearly care a tremendous amount about the birds. We got to hold so many birds and see their relationships with the tour guide. $40 for the bird world tour and botanical garden stroll is more than worth it. The man caring for the petting area, at the time, was also a sweetheart and knew so much about the animals personalities. Gift shop also had perfect gifts/souvenirs. I could not be more thankful for this experience!

Absolutely beautiful gardens which are meticulously maintained and being able to ride around in a golf buggy and get out to take your photos for memories and social media - priceless.
The farm animals were a real hoot and definitely worth taking your kids along for this entire experience.
The definitive highlight for me was the main aviary.
Wow.
It was such a cool experience to have all these beautiful birds land on my head and shoulders and the photo opportunities were out of this world.
This is a MUST DO activity regardless of ages and even if you don't love birds, you will after this experience.
I would happily go again and again.
Great prices, friendly staff, animals and beautiful gardens. What else could you ask for?

We've visited Maleny Botanic Gardens and Bird World twice and would highly recommend it for locals and tourists alike. The bird aviary is broken into four sections and you get to see a great collection of Australian and international birds and parrots. If you don't want the birds to land on you, there are feather dusters available to gently ward them off. But it is great fun when they do and quite special to get so close to these beautiful creatures. All told you spend about an hour in the aviaries. Then you have plenty of time to check out the gardens. There is also the new farm friends section where you can pat and feed (at a cost) miniature goats, sheep and micro donkeys in addition to plenty of chickens and a rooster. A great attraction for the children! We weren't overly impressed with the food when we first visited three years ago. However on our latest visit we ordered the picnic boxes packaged with our entry. They were fresh, delicious and great value! You can take the boxes to eat at one of the many tables found throughout the gardens. A great hinterland attraction!

Lovely day out with the family. Spectacular views, we paid for entry to the gardens, bird world & animal farm. Kids loved driving the golf buggy around & so much to look at. It is extra for the golf buggy but worth it. Definitely need half a day to explore & the guided tour through bird world was wonderful. You can get interactive time with all the birds, & lots of great photos.

We had an amazing day!! Everything was perfect. The staff was very friendly, the food was amazing and we had so much fun with the birds and the farming friends. By the way: as the birds love jewelry they offer paper tape to cover everything. So you don't need to take everything out.
We highly recommend this park and would love to come back.

I enjoyed the experience of the Maleny Botanic Garden! It was exciting to be guided through the different areas where the birds fly free in the closed (netted) areas. The birds could land on your person if they choose!! They were comfortable living in their space as a guide walked us through the different bird areas.
It's a beautiful place! The staff are friendly and helpful. I didn't explore the entire property on this visit but I have every intention of returning to do that!!

Such a wonderful way to spend a morning, evening or entire day. The staff are all lovely and friendly and do such a good job at ensuring the birds are respected and kept as safe as possible. Plenty of lovely spots for a picnic as well! Must do in Maleny

We love this place have been there twice. Fantastic gardens, make sure you see coco the parrot. Hand raised by a opera singer, incredible talker. The bird tour this time was too rushed. Would have liked more time in the enclosure cause we love birds. Last year it was better. I understand the limited time with the large birds, but with the smaller less intimidating birds you need more time. Still a must see, especially for kids. Fell in love with the baby goats 🥰

Nestled in the heart of Maleny, the Botanic Gardens is a slice of paradise you won't want to miss. The staff's warmth and hospitality make you feel like a valued guest from the moment you arrive. As you explore the lush grounds, you'll encounter a colorful array of exotic birds, their melodies adding to the enchantment of your visit. And let's not forget the cheeky farm animals – their antics are guaranteed to bring laughter and joy to visitors of all ages. But perhaps the most captivating aspect of the gardens is the breathtaking views that unfold around every corner. Whether you're gazing out over the rolling hills or marveling at the vibrant blooms, each vista is more stunning than the last. A trip to the Maleny Botanic Gardens is an unforgettable experience that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and inspired.

The word that pops into my head the minute we arrive at Maleny Botanic Gardens and Bird Sanctuary is WOW. I have visited here once before and it is even more spectacular than I remember. From the birds you can get a photo with at the entrance, to the sweeping views of the Glass House Mountains, this place will blow you away. There are buggies for hire if you don't want to walk around the paths, that can be a little steep in places. There are also many rotundas dotted around the gardens where you can sit and relax. Of course you can visit the farm friends enclosure and also take a walk through the bird aviaries with a guided tour. There are so many gorgeous birds to see. Also there is a kiosk and cafe. Definitely worth a visit. Make sure to allow a few hours.

The SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast Aquarium provides a fun and educational experience for children with its diverse displays and engaging programs. Although it may be pricier than other zoos and aquariums, the seal show is a cool highlight. However, it can get crowded in the seal show area despite requests for social distancing. Booking ahead makes entry easy and the friendly service adds to the overall positive experience.
Great day out for the kids booking time made it easy to get in and the service was very friendly. The seal show was great and the new penguin 🐧 area was interesting. All the displays are well thought out and there is heaps to appreciate if you take a closer look.

A most enjoyable morning (23 July 2022) spent wandering around the aquarium. Great to see such a wide variety of sea life in one easily accessible location. Only wished I'd brought along a better camera to take more worthy photos. Certainly recommend this for kids of all ages. Sea Lions rock, by the way!

We did the behind the scenes tours and also the photos with the seal. It was definitely worth the extra amount in my opinion.
The aquarium and exhibits brought out the inner child in me. All the different species of underwater creatures was fascinating and a bombardment of colours and lighting.
The staff were friendly and the food at the cafe was decent and reasonably priced.
I would definitely recommend a visit.

Such a great day out. Educational exhibits and genuinely such cool views through the tunnel. We bought tickets in advance and went early in the week - almost no crowd! My one suggestion to the aquarium - it would be great to get free wifi! I had no reception throughout most of the building so I couldn't scan all the QR codes for more info and see the pics.

Lots of sea life to look at. Good variety. The map they supplied in a graphical manner was a bit convoluted especially with the ramp leading to the lower penguin space and the ocean tunnel.
The seal presentation was respectful and fun. Cute penguins. Ocean tunnel was cool.

Beautifully designed and presented.
Well maintained, and looked after.
Ticket prices are a bit high, but totally worth having the sea life experience.
Great seal performance. Witnessed Sharks and amazing sea creatures.
Small cafe in the corner.
Bit hard to find parking on the weekends especially.
Although, huge parking areas are around. Overall, it was a good experience..

Amazing place to take the children. A little bit expensive compared to other aquariums and zoos which had more to look at. The seal show was cool, however expect to be crammed in like sardines. They request everyone to be 1.5m but we were almost sitting on the next persons lap at the seal show, a bit pointless having the set times as it was jam packed in there.

There are no wheelchair car parks. Staff suggested stopping in the loading zone, unloading and then parking. There were buses parked there though so stopped in the road. Also I shouldn't be leaving my client alone while I park the car. We enjoyed the seal show.

What a great way to fill in a few hours on the Sunshine Coast, especially on a hot or rainy day. It is advisable to buy tickets online and arrive early to avoid crowds. The staff are helpful and friendly. There are many tanks full of wonderful sealife, from starfish, seahorses, jellyfish and lobsters. There are penguins, seals and frogs. Of course the seal show is a highlight as well as the shark under water tunnel. So many giant stingrays and sharks as well as turtles and giant gropers.
Kids and adults will have a ball. There is a cafe and air-conditioned playground for the kids.
Such a great outing and definitely recommend visiting if you are at the Sunshine Coast.

Nice little attraction up the coast if you're holidaying for a few days. Always quite busy. We went on a weekday not on school holidays and was still a bit pokey to navigate with staff and other patrons. It's expensive for what it you get. Sea Life aquarium is a wonderful place to see marine life and even some freshwater fish and creatures. Plan on 2-3 hours. Though not outdoors or spread over several acres, the spaces are well utilized. Very child friendly but also very interesting for adults of all ages. It can get crowded by noon. Maybe try arriving around noon and staying for the afternoon after all the early birds head out for lunch. Lots of parking at the wharf area. But probably gets full during holidays.

Very busy on the weekends, so plan accordingly, was very difficult to find a car park.. for those with sensory issues, parents are not overly concerned about their kids wildly screaming and running around, and the tunnel can make you feel weird. All animals look well cared for, and the touch pool was a bit bare but still interactive and fun. Most staff engage with you, some more shy than others. The seal show was good. I would have loved it to be a bit longer. Seal photos are $30 per person. Overall, it was a great experience. I do appreciate the work Sealife does.
Take away: buy sustainable fish and always put your rubbish in the bin 😉

First time here. Full of colour, very organised, well structured, (additional payable options available inside depending what more you want to do). Very clean and easily to follow route and takes 2 plus hours ( if you attend the tunnel tour and watch seal world show, as well as some other activities included in base price).
A lot of the interactive stuff however just didn’t work on the day of visit which was a pity because they promised so much and I felt it lacked a bit of the big WOW factor in comparison to similar type venues.

This is a truly special place. We spent an afternoon/early evening here and loved the education centre and our walk was truly magical with the ancient vines and birdsong of so many birds. We stayed on later when things were quiet and saw many wallabies. The walk was flat and easy, our only disappointment was that one of the loops was closed for improvements so we weren't able to explore it all. Arrived mid-morning and car park almost full, but the park didn't feel crowded. Enjoyed the coolness of the reserve on a hot sticky day. Easy flat walk around the forest trail, well sign-posted and fine for pushchairs. Saw pademelons - cute marsupials smaller than wallabies. Spotted many leafy entries to giant earthworm burrows. Lovely birdsong in the forest. Child-friendly, hands-on science centre... gold coin donation. Staffed by volunteers
Cafe had a great selection of savoury and sweet dishes, all very well priced, with Glasshouse Mountains view.
Straightforward rooms with minifridges in a casual gastropub featuring a verandah.
Stopped in for some takeaway and the staff were friendly and super helpful!
We stuck our head out the back and were shocked to find a super cool outdoor area that felt more like something you'd see in the middle of Brisbane than a little country pub. Such a cool vibe.
I often struggle to find good vegetarian options at places like this but there was plenty of options!

I don’t normally like pub food but I ordered the salmon and it did not disappoint. The others in my family had steak, parmy, and beer battered Flathead, all which were substantial enough to feed teenage boys! Friendly staff, always smiling - 100% recommend

Last minute booking surprised at how nice this unit is. Dog friendly unit and close to park for a walk. Clean. Nice layout. Wifi and YouTube on TV. Owners also run the unique shop next door and worth a visit. Cant rate high enough this motel to say in.

Needed somewhere cheap to stay and found this little gem tucked away.
The service from the girls behind the bar was impeccable, even on a very busy Friday night. Well done!
The Food was delicious and served hot and fresh. I had a Chicken Schnitzel with Chips, Homemade Slaw and Diane Sauce. Would definitely recommend a meal here.
The Room was comfortable and adequate for a solo traveller like myself. There were two single beds and the one I slept in was comfortable and I slept like a log. The linen was clean and fresh.
My only issue with the room was the lack of air conditioning, however it wasn't a hot or particularly warm day (for me anyway) and the night was cool so the ceiling fan and the window slightly open was more than enough. Summer might be a different story. There were also a few cobwebs in the corners but I didn't see any freeloaders (Spiders).
The Shower in the men's toilets down the corridor was also cold however given there was only one shower cubicle, I'm wondering if a few people had used it before me and the hot water hadn't warmed up again.
Would definitely come here again.

Have been a couple times now, great prices the food is fantastic. Recommend the 400g rump! The butchers block parmie is also a good pick. Could do with some work on maybe training as they missed one of our meals on the docket, said it was on the way when it had blatantly been forgotten. Would recommend, much better then other pubs in the area!

What a great pub.
The food was fantastic and we got our meals fast. We had a family room with a bathroom. One of the best pub rooms we have stayed in. A big TV in each room and nice big balcony 👌
We will be back.

Have you ever walked into a pub and felt right at home.
Sit at a bar stool at the Exchange Hotel in Kilcoy and that's what you'll feel even if you have never been there.
You'll be included in the banter from the locals, know the name of the managers and eat one of the best cooked steaks ever!
The rooms was clean and comfy and the old photos in the hall told an amazing story and for one night I was part of it....Thank you

Had a nice counter meal. It came out quite quickly when though the place was full! However, the pulled pork burger was so smothered in BBQ sauce it was impossible to taste the meat. Also, the membership system wasn't working, so I was unable to get member pricing on my meal.

Kilcoy has arguably the best beef in the country. This is a classic and historic country pub with recently refurbished beautiful and comfortable rooms, friendly staff and a selection of steak and pub classics to suit any taste or budget. Greatly enjoyed our stay and loved the steaks. Thanks again

We stopped in for a meal on the way home and probably drive past 3 times a week.
Well not again the meals here are perfect and well above average.
Plenty of seating and cold drinks.
If you are out Kilcoy way and need a meal this is the place to go.

Stayed here with our teenager and 11 yr old. In town for Kilcoy Rodeo. The family room surpassed our expectations. Very large, comfortable, clean and a nice place to settle after a big day.
It is noisy so I recommend packing earplugs. But we slept well on a very busy night.

Good size menu with a lot of variety and specials. I ordered the American burger with chips, unfortunately the beef patty was a mass produced frozen one - I was expecting something made in-house or atleast not in a perfect circle.
I’m saying that, it was still a nice meal. The staff were all lovely and the dining room and bathrooms clean. Would love to visit again!

Went for the 1st time yesterday with friends. What a lovely old country pub. The staff were so friendly & welcoming, the service was incredible. Special shout out to Reg who greeted us at the door, was super helpful and friendly.

Stayed two nights to attend the Woodford Folk Festival. Hadn’t stayed at a pub since I was a kid so I had low expectations. Was impressed with the decor, cleanliness and price. Great nights sleep, huge TV, air con and tea/coffee facilities. Very little pub or road noise. Great location for the festival. Appreciated the late check out following NYE. Will stay again.
Australia Zoo, located north of Beerwah in Queensland, is a renowned tourist attraction and wildlife park founded by the late Steve Irwin. The zoo houses an extensive collection of animals from all over the world, including crocodiles showcased at the famous Crocoseum, dingo dogs and Tasmanian devils. Visitors can also enjoy exploring the Cambodian-style Tiger Temple and seeing a variety of critters such as hairy-nosed wombats.
Such an amazing place to visit, especially having always been a big fan of Steve Irwin. It's a beautiful zoo, so well maintained and a great variety of encounters to choose from. Entry is a bit pricey though, especially with a larger family and all children above 14 requires an adult ticket.
Belinda Fatai — Google review
The best zoo we have ever been to, their staff are accommodating and lovely. The zoo is stunning. Native flora fauna everywhere. A lot of attractions are interactive and you get a real hands on experience. Remember to pack sunscreen and wear comfortable shoes. Well worth the visit. We were there for over 6 hours and did almost 20,000 steps.

What a zoo!!
Not only is it huge but the quality and cleanliness of each exhibit was impressive.
The shows were wonderful and I highly recommend you go to them all.
It's a very big so, so if you have small children with you make sure to get a pull-trolley which also has storage and drink holders.
The food has improved substantially since my last visit.
A great family outing and must for all Australians and tourists.

Definitely recommend visiting the zoo at least once. It will need a full day pretty much to cover the entire zoo and view most of the shows - with the crocodile show being the highlight that can't be missed. The cafe is very average and just fills your stomach to get you going. Recommend bringing your own food. But a great enjoyable experience overall.

5yo and I had a great time at his school excursion. But it definitely requires two days to get around and see everything. Highly recommend visiting this zoo. And, if you know the Irwin family, it's an extra treat if you see them. First trip and planning our next one in a months time with all the family. I'd say it's worth purchasing annual tickets.

There are no words to describe this place. It was so much more than we expected. Amazing staff from when we entered until we left. The shows were so good and enjoyable. The facilities were all clean and extremely well maintained. The animals looked so good, and nothing was out of place. Well done !!

Every year, I visit and seeing the upgrades makes it worthwhile. Be ready to walk a lot because the zoo is huge and requires a lot of water. The heat and humidity can still be tense even when the weather is cloudy, so pace yourself and you will be fine.

Visiting Australia Zoo was one of the highlights of our trip. A good escape from busy Brisbane City.
The animals seem content and the premises well maintained. Easy access in and out-with ample parking. Main restaurant had typical fast food and restrooms were available just below.
Watched a show but think that it could do with some improvement-the human side. The animals performed 100%!

It was first our visit to Australian and we had such a great experience. Spent about 5 hours walking from one section to another. So big variety of different animals, fantastic show with the stories about them. Huge territory with lots of cafe, water drinking stations, toilets and souvenir shops. Zoo is kept so clean, neat and tidy. We missed a show with tigers and will come back to have a look at this one later.

When passion meets wildlife, you get such a great zoo.
Beautifully maintained, very spacious, the animals are well taken care of, even the shops are great.
$59 per adult isn't cheap, but feels fair for this place. You can easily spend 5 hours here.
And the show at the crocoseum is great, for the entire family.

This place never disappoints. Great friendly staff with lots to see. Be prepared to spend the whole day here. Tip: get your lunch early to avoid the queues especially if you intend seeing the crocodile show and want to get good seats. Fantastic water playground for kids to play in and free animal displays. Paid extra to see the wildlife hospital and was lucky to see several procedures taking place.

We were so impressed. Importantly, there were happy, healthy animals and reptiles. Happy staff, who love their work. The thought behind tributes to the country of origin, including Africa and Asia was well considered and a welcome experience. The care to alleviate stress for the animals, in the landscaping and running water was equally thought out. We went weekday, there would have been hundreds but it's also so well managed throughout, it still felt like a personal journey. Thank you Irwin's and staff 🙏 bravo

We had a wonderful day here, the zoo is well laid out, the map helps too, we just ticked off the animals as we went but managed to see everyone! Enclosures are a good size and clean. Highly recommend the $2 donation to go look inside the vet clinic too!! The cafe was good with a huge selection, and reasonable prices. Toilets were all clean. Overall great day!!

Our third or fourth visit over a period of 15 years and this place just gets better & better! The gardens are stunning, the animal enclosures seem to just blend in and the whole place is beautiful. Really impressed with how clean the entire place is, and all the staff were friendly & seemed very happy. If you are trying to keep costs down, pack yourself a byo picnic. There are drinking fountains about the place too, to top up your water bottle.
Such a huge variety of animals, all so well looked after! Really impressed! Try to set aside a whole day (but you could do it in half a day if you didn't linger at every enclosure).

A great family day! So many animals to see, interesting keeper talks, the Wildlife Warriors crocodile show is great, jumping pillow for the kids to have a break, lots of seats and shady spots for a sunny day, and more. Bring swimmers for the kids, and some frozen water bottles for a hot day. Highly recommended.

Very well presented zoo. Friendly staff, great family vibe; the toilets have great kid’s facilities, very well maintained, clean. Huge variety of animals that seem well looked after. $199 family of four cost. The restaurant was a little in on the expensive side and we were a little disappointed with the crocodile element of the main live show. We did have high expectations. There was an extended ice breaking crowd interaction element and lovely unexpected birds show, and appreciate working with live crocodiles wouldn’t be easy, but the shows ending was a little of a let down.. we were still sitting, wondering if in fact it had ended. It was like the guys suddenly just decided it was the end and the crocodile had had enough. The use of video and extra AV is a nice touch, especially as you get to relive Steve Irwin’s incredible passion for wildlife. Overall well worth it, just a little let down by the croc show, probably due to having had such high expectations

We really enjoyed our visit to the zoo. There was a bit of a wait for the shuttle over to the Africa zone, but it was pretty efficient. There is lots to see and do, plenty of talks and presentations from the animals handlers. My young son loved the laughing frog splash park!

Absolutely loved this place! It's HUGE and the animals all look so well looked after and happy. It really is a wonderful tribute to Steve's legacy and his family do him proud every day. It took us about 4 hours to walk all around so wear comfy shoes and clothes and don't forget your water bottle and screen!

The day was great from start to finish. The animals were great as I had hoped but it was better than that as the staff were truly invested in the well being of the animals. I was very surprised with the food for the humans as well. I am a bit of a problem being gluten and lactose intolerant but was able to get a great Caesar chicken salad my wife had a beef wrap both were a good size serving and for a very reasonable price. The footy ovals should check it out and learn how not to gouge the public.
To do it properly it will take you most of the day.

Truly a world class zoo. Plenty of natural space/ enclosures for the animals. Very professional and helpful staff. The main show is a must see. Very clean and tidy. There are times when you can stroke a koala for free, worth checking with staff...not one of the paid experience sessions.

Great well laid out zoo, you can tell how much the staff love the animals here and the animals all look well cared for and content. There are plenty of amenities and they have a great show in the auditorium.
The price is high compared to other big zoos I have visited.

Always a great experience. The added play area for kids seemed like a fun distraction from all the walking.
Getting in your daily 10,000 steps is an easy breeze.
Needs more water filling stations scattered throughout. The food available has a great selection, or if you don't want to wait in queues, pack a picnic.

Brilliant. Zoo worthy. Amazing grounds. Staff are A+ Enclosures are beautiful. Animals well-cared for. Can see the passion, love and conservation credentials in every single thing. A bit 'Crikey' and 1990s vibes with memorabilia but that is part of the charm. Very worthwhile and makes you extremely proud of Irwin family and what they keep aiming for and achieving.

Wonderful scenery all around the Zoo.
Many places to fill your water bottle plus loads of vending machines for drinks, no cash taken though.
Easy to walk through and find everything although more shaded areas would have been nice.
The crocodile show was the highlight of the day, got to see some amazing and well trained birds and Robert Irwin feed a massive croc!
Huge amount of animals from all across the world.
Gift shop is surprisingly well priced with t shirts being only $50 and hats $35.
Overall wonderful day out, definitely worth the ticket price.

HUGE!
This is certainly one of the best parks in Australia.
Everything is very well conserved, the animal's hair is treated better than that of many women out there (sorry girls).
Everything clean, and very organized.
The coffee is good, restaurant is great as well and staff is really friendly.
The only thing I missed was cold water to drink along the park. But you can grab ice from the coke machines in the restaurant.
Besides that, everything was simply perfect in the minimal details (almost like Disney).

My daughters and I really enjoyed our time at the zoo. We spent 4 hours walking around and taking in all the wonderful animals. Every enclosure had animals in it so we felt very lucky that that was the case. The show at the middle of the day was wonderful, however I would note that the music was too loud over the presenters voices. I did love that so much of what they talk about is based and still surrounded on Steve Irwin. It's lovely to see his legacy lives on.

Australia Zoo! What an amazing place. The Irwin family, and their staff have done such an amazing job with this zoo. I have never seen anything like it before in all my travels. The layout, the size of enclosures, the cleanliness, the friendliness and knowledge of the staff are unsurpassed. I thought it would be like any other zoo, but they have taken it to the next level.
Take note you other zoos. You are a long way behind!!
Thank you Irwin family for building this amazing place. It is a true monument for the original wildlife warrior!!

I HATE zoos in general as they are usually extremely sad places for wild animals to live BUT Australia Zoo has been on my bucket list for years because of the amazing work Steve Irwin and his wonderful family are doing to help animals on this planet. I've watched the TV shows and knew I had to visit. I was NOT disappointed! The enclosures are large and clean and made interesting for the wildlife that live there. The Zoo is well run, well designed and the animals are all happy and healthy. The zoo-keepers seem to genuinely love their jobs and the animals in their care; they were extremely informative at all the feeding sessions. We took a sneak peak at the animal hospital and we were in awe of the rescue work that is done there!
All in all, it's a MUST see! You won't regret it.

Oh, I miss Australia, we were just getting to know it a tiny bit. I want to go back! That being said, it is nice to be home! One place I really enjoyed was the Australia Zoo home of the Crocodile Hunter. When we pulled up, I admit I was a bit skeptical. A zoo, really? Then I saw the entry price and nearly fainted. An adult ticket is $70, $60 for senior (68 and up) or student. On the way, I was looking at their restaurants and was equally dismayed at their prices! After experiencing about half the place, seeing a few of their daily shows, and learning about their shared passion to preserve the natural beauty of native wildlife, I have a whole new attitude! I love the place! The admission may be a bit pricey for a zoo, but it's a small price to pay for entry into the world of the Irwin family and their commitment to preserving global wildlife! As for the food, we only sampled some of their carnival type food. It was very good and freshly prepared. Well worth the price. Their 'sit down' restaurant had offerings you might only find in the fanciest of places. While I originally thought $100 per person was a lot for a 'zoo' I realized that in any amusement park in the states you'd spend that much for a couple bottles of water, yesterday's burger, soggy fries, a soda, and an ice cream sundae. It is also encouraged to bring your own food and have a picnic lunch! Oh, and unlike the airport, they let you bring your own water and even have filling stations for free water refills. So, if you should ever find yourself near Brisbane on the Sunshine Coast of Australia, do make the trip up to "Steve's place"! You'll be glad you did!
PS plan to spend a couple of days if you want to really experience the place! They have two day passes for just a few more $.
Kings Beach is a seaside district in the Sunshine Coast Region of Queensland, Australia. It lies due east of Caloundra CBD and had 2,788 residents according to the 2016 census.
This sprawling living history museum is full of authentic pioneer buildings and artifacts, allowing visitors to step back in time and learn about the life of a frontier family. There are lots of hands-on activities to keep kids entertained, like train rides and vintage cars and trucks, as well as a rainforest garden.
Easy 30 minute walk from the station, up main road, turn left past the markets and it's just past the equestrian centre. Volunteer staff all very helpful and friendly, a lot to see which filled our time from 10.00 a m to 3.00 p.m. including a very well presented burger, salad and fries (made a welcome change they weren't heavily over salted as we've often found elsewhere) and after the decent walk round all the exhibits, it was nice to be offered a free shuttle bus ride back to the station. Very impressed with the day.

We visited during the annual halloween event held at Caboolture Historical Village this year. Halloween is always a magical time of year; giving adults and kids an excuse to dress up, have fun and indulge our sweet tooth just a little. It was our first time attending this event, and what an experience we had. The village gave a nice balance of fright while also being family friendly. Be prepared to hear many screams as you explore the night. The halloween decorations showcased were beautifully integrated with the historical buildings, and curated items can be enjoyed throughout the village. The mandatory jumpscare was on the table for the night. Volunteers included ghosts and ghouls in the hospital, witches that gave us a wonderfully 'horrifying' welcome as well as a caged prisoner. The details were well thought throughout the event. You could also find a chainsaw madman chasing people through the village. There were statues that came alive. We enjoyed the miniature train ride, which also included murderous gunmen firing away from the minature forest. This gave us a good jump. Next halloween, I would recommend adding Caboolture Historical Village on your list for a fun family fright night.

An atmospheric mix of old houses and businesses set up as they would have been and buildings housing vehicles and tools of yesteryear. Everything is really clean and in good condition. The fountain and planting are really lovely too. There are two cafes but both were closed when we got there at 1 pm on Sunday and the train wasn't going either, I think we were the only people there as we didn't see a soul for the three hours we were there, except the receptionist who was very nice. I suppose this just happens sometimes as it's staffed by volunteers so just remember to take some snacks and a drink in case. Definitely wear plenty of mosquito spray, I did and still got bitten 4 times. Big thanks to the volunteers, we learnt a lot and will remember it, it was a really good day out.

Zero acknowledgment of the original indigenous people of the area. No mention of their tribal names, languages, sacred places, artefacts or cultural perspectives on history of the area. Too much emphasis on the triumphant achievements of the European settlers (invaders). The place needs a complete overhaul and rethink

Interesting artefacts from Bribie Island history such as growth of tourism and arrival of holidaymakers via the popular steamboat ferry. There is an informative display about Bongaree who was Mathew Flinders travelling companion and the man who the town is named after. Feline lovers will appreciate the exhibit about Flinders seafaring cat Trim.

Although the place is beautiful, it's definitely not suitable for humans. The weather is as hot as a desert, and you could get a sunburn in just 5 minutes under the sun. People are constantly applying sunscreen and jumping into the water to cool off. Unfortunately, I think this is the reason why all the coral appears to be dead.

I didn't like it... I loved it!! Nice beach, good activities to do. I loved snorkeling , seeing so many beautiful fish and swimming with them, it was something incredible, and the sand dunes, a spectacular experience!!

My sister and I did a 5 day cruise from Sydney to Moreton Island in Feb 18. A perfect destination for a cruise. Lots for activities on the island for singles, couples and the entire family. A bucket list item for those who have never been. Very beautiful!

Wonderful holiday destination. Very water sports or relaxation orientated. We did a 5 day cruise from Sydney to Moreton Island and return. My sister and I did Quad biking, kayaking in clear kayaks. The fish were amazing to see around the shipwrecks. Finished off with parasailing over the magical blue waters of Moreton Island. Then we cooled off in the beautiful clear waters before relaxing at the island bar and heading back to our cruise ship. A must do! We will be back Moreton Island! You left your mark on us!

We stayed at the resort in July the rooms are nice and tidy and most have amazing views of the ocean .
the ferry ride is enjoyable and the captain points out all the local places on the foreshore which is pretty cool . also they arrange all of the baggage to be delivered to the rooms 👍
the dolphin feeding is pretty amazing and a good chance to get some pics .
all the staff on the island are really helpful and friendly we will be back in summer for sure !
The wifi is super slow but with a beach like that it doesn’t matter !!!

Beautiful island, you need a 4WD to explore unless you book a tour. Equipment hire is quite expensive but worth it to look at the wrecks and thousands of fish that inhabit the surrounding area. Worth a visit for sure!
Unique walkway honoring the namesake pop group with statues, photos & a musical light show.
Great free streetside museum that’s open to the public 24-7! Really cool, commemorating the Gibb brothers careers and rise to fame! At night they boast a light show and there is a continuous stream of their biographies and highlights in an outdoor big screen and of course their many hits! Then you can stroll down the boardwalk at Moreton Bay! Beautiful!

You have to see this wonderful memorial to the Bee Gees, it is truly a touching and lasting tribute to one of the all time great bands of the 70’s.
The legend of the Bee Gees will forever be staying alive!
So many quality photos and the big screen pumping out hit after hit, after hit!
10/10 for a public memorial

Very well put together display with many photos of the Bee Gees following their journey from School age kids to fully grown adults. Many pictures on display.

This is a walk way between shops, so totally free. It's set out so well. You can take a leisurely stroll whilst listening to Bee Gee's music which is played continuously. There is so many photos and information to look at and read along your stroll. The status are great and very life like. It is out doors so if raining you will need an umbrella.

Awesome tribute and mini museum to the Bee Gees. Inside not know that they were from Moreton Bay and the entire display was not only very informative but entertaining and organised very well. There is a free light show on every night along with a documentary interviewing the Bee Gees. Great trip down memory lane as my parents loved the Bee Gees and I listened to them as a kid.

We arrived at this place by chance, so we were surprised by everything we saw. lots of photos and lots of history. their music playing in the background makes it more special

A great tribute/museum. Really celebrates the group. The music of the group playing down the lane was a great touch. Unfortunately, the screen had been damaged. Hopefully the council will fix it soon.

Amazing street museum commemorating The Bee Gees musical career. Along with very informative displays and the bands music playing in the background, light shows are available at night! This place will definitely take you down memory lane :)

This was a wonderful find; learning that the Beegees began in Redcliff. Some wonderful icons of the Gibb Brothers and their story and images make for good reading.

This tribute is done in a very nice way. There is a video screen but as it outside and daytime it was difficult to watch. Its down a lane and free.

About 30minutes drive up northern coast from Brisbane. A must drop in when you visit Redcliffe for the 1st time. Photos are better taken during daytime for this lovely permanent expo.

Bee Gees Way is located in Redcliffe Parade, Redcliffe QLD 4020.
This unique place was put together in collaboration with Barry Gibbs, who is the living member of the Bee Gees.
This 70 metre walk, though Bee Gees Way takes into account the musical history of this fabulous family group of talented musicians, their truly wonderful range of music created over many years together.
You can relax & listen to the many songs & videos that are available 24 hours a day.
The wonderful facilities that have been created through Barry Gibbs & others are definitely worth visiting this magnificent area of the Redcliffe Peninsular.
You can sit down & just take in the nostalgic range of everything that the Bee Gees had to offer over the decades past.

A fantastic (and free!) side street museum dedicated to the Bee Gees and commemorating the Gibb brother's rise to fame. There's a wide range of information boards, photos, status and music playing, in addition to a television screen streaming their biographies and highlights of their careers. In the evening there's a light show and this attraction is great for all ages (our son loved it too!).

A successful street montage on the life and lives of the Bee Gees, the three Gibb brothers, and the family's ups and downs. This is a very honest presentation that benefits from have time to read the details. Very positive, can get uncomfortably busy and cramped. The tinny music is a bit too much. Good to see the display is lovingly maintained. Definitely not a fake.
Evening feeding encounters with wild bottlenose dolphins, usually around sunset at an island resort.
its our first time to visit Tangalooma. It has a beautiful beach and fanstic emerald ocean colour.
Also we did many activities (4WD ATV, and fantastic experience interacting with feeding wild Dolphins)
Thank you to all Tangalooma staff and especially the manager-Mr.Grant .He Provide enthusiastic and professional commentary. Passionate about helping customers and did us a big favour.
One of the best place to visit with family. Serene!

We have booked for the wild dophin feeding but was told to cancel due to some flood reasons. At the island the staff told us that only guest at the resort can book for the feeding. As we are not the guest but on a one day trip, we are disappointed that we are given the wrong reason. Nevertheless we watch from the stand on the feeding. At the same time there was filming.

Loved the place. Lots of activities, great facilities. Beautiful location. Close to Brisbane. Easy to get to and lots to do when your there. Preferred watching the dolphins from the pier, but my daughter lined up 3 nights in a row to feed them. Definitely worth checking out

Fed 2 dolphins. I think the order of the dolphins made it a bit better.
Of the bucket of fish, I grabbed the ONLY wrong fish haha
My first feed was to Echo. Echo was a little rough, scared me because I didn’t expect him to push forwards so much, sort of pushed me backwards a bit.
My second feed was to Comet. I was expecting the chance of roughness so when Comet went for the bite I moved back a little scared that he’d get my hand in his mouth. Although Comet was gentle so I did pull the fish away from him 😅 just glad he was still gentle afterwards and went for his bite slowly.

Rare opportunity to feed wild dolphins right in the ocean by hand. Draws a fairly large crowd but they handle it quite well, especially given that the number of dolphins is unknown each night until they come in for a feed.

Took a long time to actually get to feed them. Short time in the water but an enjoyable experience. Very capable staff working in trying times. Recommend it to everyone.

If you want a really honest review, read this one. This review is from a P&O customer who came to the island via a cruise. We spent approx 1.5 - 2 hours on this tour. They gave food at the beginning which was average and we didn’t even get a chance to eat much as we arrived ON TIME and others arrived earlier and ate everything. A little disorganised there. Then we sat down for a presentation. Highly educational but not in a boring way. It was a very good presentation. Then we went to the beach and waited for some while to feed the dolphins. All this time you get super enthusiastic and excited to feed the dolphins but unfortunately when you get called, you put your hand in the water, the dolphin eats the fish, and they tell you to get out of the water. Overall you spend about 2 minutes with the dolphins and mind you, you’re not allowed to touch them. The 2 minutes was still great and staff were extremely nice, however don’t get mislead by the way they advertise this tour. This is exactly what happens and it is very unique but at the same time extremely disappointing especially since it is the most expensive tour on the island.

Dolphin feeding was included in our Tangalooma package and it was obvious that many other had the same; after sunset loads of people lined up on the beach to feed a fish to the dolphins. To move all these people through quickly we had to line up in 5-6 queues after which we took turns entering the water. Our dolphin snatched the fish in a millisecond and we had to exit the water to allow the next person in. It was dark and we could only see a bit of the animal in the big lights that were directly toward the water. More of a factory-conveyor-belt than a nature experience unfortunately.

I definitely would do it again - the dolphin experience is something I won't forget and it's your chance to see a wild dolphin up close

Beautiful island. Crystal clear water, beach is never crowded even you find lots of amenities in the area (pool, restaurants etc.)
Guenther H — Google review
Great experience. A couple of tips: it takes quite a while to cycle through everyone, so plan on lining up early. We were told 6:15, but line was already 50 deep by 6:10. You can bring your own camera/phone into the water with you as long as its one-hand operation.

Did an Explorer bus trip from the Carnival Splendor today .
The resort is just stunning with a huge variety of activity options & is now on my bucket list..
HOWEVER our bus driver Mark gave absolutely NO narration, information or descriptions on the shipwrecks, history or lay of the land as apparently the microphone wasn't working?
Why the hell NOT❓❓
At $170 for a day tour, we learnt nothing, zero nothing which was very disappointing to all the first time visitors Australian & International visitors. The only reason we learnt anything on the return trip was because a passenger was sitting up in the front seat asking questions..
Brett, the other driver was thoroughly informative & friends on his bus advised us of his expert narration.
A total waste of money.
The lunch sandwiches were delicious!

Unfortunately the dolphin feeding experience was quite underwhelming.
From the photos / videos we’d seen we were expecting quite an intimate experience with 10-15mins in the water with the dolphins.
It was more like 200 people and very commercialised.
There was a HUGE line to queue up. They then slowly checked everyone off a list and made you stand in another queue. Rather than splitting the people who lined up first to the front of the 5 smaller queues (which seems fair) they filled 1 queue and then moved onto the next. It also seemed like the perfect opportunity to get the feeding started so people got to enjoy the experience.
We waited at least 30mins before they then started a talk. At this point everyone was fed up, children were running wild & we couldn’t even hear the microphone. Finally we got 1 fish each and about 1 min in the water with the dolphin. Before having to grab our bags and leg it to the boat.
SUCH an inefficient experience, which felt very rushed and impersonal. The resort could manage the whole feeding process so much better so it was a more relaxed and enjoyable experience.

4 dolphins came in during our feed time. They were very playful. Quickly took the fish from us. My 6 year old was mesmerised by them.
Located in one of Brisbane's beachside suburbs, Shorncliffe Pier is easily accessible via public transport. This historic wooden pier extends into the sea and is surrounded by well-preserved stilted houses and early Queenslander architecture. It serves as the starting point for the Lovers Walk coastal trail to Sandgate, making it an ideal destination for a leisurely afternoon. Further north along Brisbane's coastline, Shorncliffe Pier offers another picturesque waterfront spot.
Such a beautiful pier! Got up nice and early to walk with my dog and watch the sunrise. So calming and serene at that time of morning. There’s a cute little coffee cart and the coffee is actually delicious! Car park does get pretty full so you might have to find street parking. Lots of people fishing off the pier too, if that’s something you’re into. Definitely will be back.

Perfect place to unwind if you're into fishing or just want to feel the sea breeze and walk on the coast or around the park.
This place offers entertainment for all ages as it has a 350m long jetty (one of the longest in Australia) perfect for recreational walks or jogs and of course, fishing!
It also has a playground for the children and many spots ideal for picnic or barbeque.
If you're lucky enough (like I have when I went there) you might see guys hunting for sharks and releasing it back to the ocean after reeling it in. Truly a memorable experience.

We also need a Pier like a Shorncliffe Pier in South side of Brisbane. Logan and Gold Coast City council doesn't work well.
First time I have been in Shorncliffe Pier, I got in love with it. A great spot for fishing.
There are also undercover tables and seats available next to Pier for picnic. Toilets are also available on spot.

Very nice place to spend time with friends and family. We have visited the pier for many times for sunset and it is a great place for kids with a nice park for them to be entertained. Visiting here in the evening is very much recommended. Parking space is available, but street parking is not very far from the Pier.

People travel the world to enjoy these sorts of piers & we have it right here in Brisbane.
It’s a lovely walk and on the day we were there the water was crystal clear, which made it even more enjoyable.
There a number of fisher men and women on the jetty on the day although I am not sure to many of them were catching any significant fish.
There are tables under cover, seats and plenty of roam to take in the site of the wonderful bay and it’s shoreline.

We had a great time at Shorncliffe Pier and Park.
We wntbro check out the playground and we're no disappointed. A full tree house vibe with bridges in between, made fir aloy of cool imaginative play. Tucked away nicely under big trees and shade canopies, it was nicely shaded which made the play enjoyable as the day was hot.
Being able to walk out along the breakwater was fun. We spotted jellyfish in the water and small fish.
We ventured around part of the coast line and enjoyed the high tide waves splashing up on the pathway.
Lovely spot. Can't wait to come back again to enjoy the beach and walk the length of the Pier.

Only 30 minutes from home it's a great place to go for a little walk or just chill with a book in the sun! Love that there's a permanent coffee cart at the start of the pier now too. Best time to go us midweek when there's less people around- weekend now have become too crowded for my liking.

The Shorncliffe Pier is located at Park Parade,Shorncliffe QLD 4017.
This original pier was in poor condition at one stage it looked as though it would be demolished.
Fortunately, it went through a complete rebuild that was commenced in November 2014.
It then was officially opened again by the Lord Mayor of Brisbane, Councillor Graham Quirk, on the 25 of March, 2016.
I had the good fortune to spend some quality time today with my wife enjoying the surrounding areas along the foreshore & this magnificent pier, which is popular to anyone wishing to throw a fishing line into the water 🙂
The Shorncliffe Pier is very popular in taking in relaxing walks or just sitting down, taking in the beautiful views of the coastline & beyond.
There is parking available just a short distance from the Shorncliffe Pier.
Disabilities parking is provided & Motorised or wheelchair access is user-friendly as this particular place is located right on the seafront & is on ground level.
It's great for families to enjoy BBQS 😊, has adequate uncovered shelters with tables & seating.
There is plenty of green space to lay out a picnic blanket.
Modern public toilets are on-site, which are convenient for everyone, including people with disabilities.
There are user-friendly walking & bike riding tracks along the foreshore that take you to Sandgate, where there are plenty of options for a feed of fish & chips 😀
Vendors such as Mr Whippy & other assortments of vendors frequent this area, so you don't miss out on a cup of coffee 😉
The Shorncliffe Pier is a perfect place to see the start of the Brisbane to Gladstone yacht race, which is held on an annual basis 😀

We were out there last weekend. It was cloudy but at the same time humid. It was good to know the history of the place while walking through the bridge. We saw a group of people celebrating a birthday 🎂 , there was an ice cream van, and a mobile cafe but we haven't been able to buy since they already packed when we arrived. If you like to go fishing, they have an area where you can do that here. Overall, it's okay.
