Best stops along Nazareth to Antalya drive
The top stops along the way from Nazareth to Antalya (with short detours) are Apollon Temple, Kleopatra Beach, and Arch of Hadrian. Other popular stops include Sea of Galilee, Alanya Castle, and Aspendos Theater.
The Arch of Hadrian is a well-preserved, triple-bayed Roman arch built in 129 CE to honor Emperor Hadrian. It serves as the southern gateway to the Jerash archaeological site and is one of many monuments attributed to Hadrian in the Mediterranean. The site includes highlights such as a giant hippodrome, Southern Theatre, and Forum with 100 stone columns. Vendors sell postcards near the arch and there is also a nearby tour guide station.
Incredible entrance to and incredible site. This is just the beginning and it gets bigger and better as you go along. Great way to enter into an amazing historical site that keeps going on and on. Great spot for pictures. I highly recommend it.

Come super early to avoid the crowds. It was interesting but too many beggars, sorry I mean people selling low quality stuff and people asking for tips after telling you to take a panoramic picture. They’re not even from Jordan, it’s a whole bunch of Syrian and Palestinian refugees that are there ruining everyone’s experience.
Mossah Aljalal — Google review
One of many monuments attributed to Hadrian in the Mediterranean. This one is well preserved. It also serves as the southern gateway to the Jerash archeological site. Many vendors will attempt to sell you sets of postcards near the arch - the postcards seem like they are 40 years old. Also, there is a tour guide station nearby. We enjoyed the site without a guide.

The entire complex is great!! Coming in the arch of Adrien is nice but has nothing exceptional but the succession of monuments, the surface of the entire site really gives a sense of how great of a builder our ancestors were! The site has little shade, you can buy water on site so you don’t need to take too much water but the deeper you get on the site, the more expansive the water gets (up to 1.5 Jordan dollars for a small bottle). This is nonetheless worth it as you’ll see great ancient cities buildings you didn’t expect to find in Jordan! Plan for 3/4 hours on site as you go from one discovery to another. The kids had a lot of fun going through the ruins as in Jordan they benefit from a lot of freedom in what they can experiment!!!!

Make sure you have some good shoes on, you will be doing a lot of walking. A hat is much needed!
Bring two big water bottles on frozen and another that isn’t. You can stop by on those quick coffee marts on the way to this place, it’s much cheaper!

Not the arch from Greece but it’s still cool and party of the same epoch.
Tons of people visit here. It is literally overwhelming at all if it. It might be good to just visit this arch and one other place and focus on those.
We took a bus so I can speak on parking
Try and bring a guide to learn all you can.
Bronson Kurtz — Google review
Can see this using the Jordan pass. You walk through the entrance and get a little bit of hassle from people trying to sell you souvenirs etc but you can run the gauntlet and get past them easily enough. The arch is pretty big and spectacular to look at. You can see if from the road outside but to see it up close and walk under it is an experience.

An absolutely gorgeous step into history. It was hot but doable. The area is much larger than meets the eye and you can feel the Roman history in the area. There are so many pictures that should be taken here. This was one of my favorite stops in Jordan. The only con is the number of people trying to sell you things mostly towards the front.

A grand and beautiful structure which is now about half of its original height. The Arch of Hadrian was constructed in honor of Hadrian's visit to Jerash. Hadrian was the Roman Emperor in the second century AD. The arch originally stood at 22m and is now 11m after millennia of erosion

An important archaeologist site which is open for visitors. The gate is a Greco-Roman arch "2nd-century Hadrian’s Arch" considers as a great entrance to a great ancient city built here. Highly recommended when you visit this part of Levant countries Jordan. It is located north of the capital Amman. The ancient city contains the Oval Forum and Cardo Maximus, Colonnaded Street, and the North theater.
Ajloun Castle is a 12th-century fortress built by one of Saladin's generals atop Mt Auf. Wow 🤩!!!!! This is a HUGE and AMAZING castle with so much history. I couldn’t believe the condition that it was in. Spectacular. It was very well built for sure. Love the architecture. You can explore all over the castle and for only 3JD. What an experience. Cool to see how they lived. One interesting thing is how they collected and purified their drinking water.

A very nice castle with many things to explore on various levels. Take some time to appreciate the castle and its beautiful views over the Jordan Valley, rolling hills, and olive groves. If you come late afternoon the sunset view is great for some amazing photos. Staff is also very friendly. I did not plan to stay long, but ended up staying for about 2 hours, taking in the fresh breeze and the stunning views. Also, visit the museum.
Bring water, as I was not able to buy bottled water inside the castle.

I had the pleasure of visiting Ajloun Castle in 2014 and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The castle's rich history and stunning architecture make it a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts and travelers alike.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by the majestic presence of the castle, perched atop a hill, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The well-preserved structure and its intricate details were truly awe-inspiring.
Exploring the castle's interior was like stepping back in time. The knowledgeable guides provided fascinating insights into the castle's history, sharing captivating stories and anecdotes that brought the site to life. The well-maintained exhibits and artifacts further enriched the experience, showcasing the castle's significance in the region's history.
One of the highlights was climbing to the top of the castle's towers, where I was rewarded with mesmerizing vistas of the Jordanian landscape. The views were simply breathtaking, and I couldn't resist taking numerous photographs to capture the beauty of the moment.
The castle grounds were well-maintained, with plenty of informative signage and resting areas. The staff members were friendly, accommodating, and more than willing to answer any questions I had.
Overall, my visit to Ajloun Castle was nothing short of extraordinary. Its historical significance, impressive architecture, and stunning surroundings make it a true gem in Jordan's cultural heritage. I highly recommend this site to anyone seeking an immersive and enchanting journey back in time.

The place is beautiful, and have a rich history. However, some people are disgusting, whether they are throwing trash or smoking inside the castle. Standing 1250 meters above sea level is Ajloun Castle. Ajloun Castle is a 12th Century fortress that was built under the rule of the sultan and military leader Saladin. The Castle is set on top of Mount ‘Auf and provides visitors with astonishing views of the Jordan Valley and surrounding desert. Over the years the castle has undergone many rebuilds and although much of the original features no longer exist, there are many chambers, carvings, and towers to keep both adults and children interested.

Ajloun Castle can be seen on the Mount Ajlon hilltop. As soon as we see it for the first time, we want to be there as soon as possible. Fortunately, we can get there quickly by car. Its stormy history left a serious mark on the castle. You can't get enough of the unique landscape of the Jordan Valley.

Beautiful and precious monument of history, largely well preserved on hilltop with great view to neighbouring countries. There are signs everywhere to explain historical context. Also there shops within the castle where you can buy some souvenirs.
Enough parking spaces. Entry fee is fair.

National park encompassing the substantial & well-preserved ruins of an ancient Roman city.
Spectacular place to visit. Spent a good afternoon exploring in the heat and the shade. It was exciting to see the excavation. I visited the bathhouse and public latrines area. The main street was exciting as well. I didn't climb the hill and focused my time in the town.

We visited two weeks ago. We had national park pass, so it was free. Mostly the place includes remains of the ancient ruins. Amazing architecture. Wondered how they designed the bathroom with hot steam underneath the floor. The structures were similar to caesarea national park. Don't miss the entire view from hill top. Lots of remains of ancient ruins like the colosseum, public sanitary, the theater, the city etc, etc. The architecture is amazing and what’s left of the buildings tell an amazing story about its greatness. Extremely good Roman archeological site….for its shape and all well preserved ruins (many mosaics, good theater,….) it is absolutely at the level of Rome forums

Stunning remains of over 20 layers of civilization. Most notable are the recent Roman ruins. One can picture chariots heading up and down the main street.
The 7000 seat theater is mostly standing and the original public bathrooms are nearby, what a gas!
There is an entrance plaza, a large bathhouse, streets, shops, a bridge, a ritual compound and more.
An earthquake in 749 shook the Roman temple and the huge columns fell. They still lay there and it's hard to imagine that this is all real and not replicas.
Amazing experience.
Sherri Yoder — Google review
We attended the evening sound and light tour which includes a ten minute sound and light and an hour guide led tour of many of the sites. The park is well lit in most parts.
The sound and light was ok, projected onto the walls of the theatre sometimes the graphics were not the most clear.
The tour is a bit intensive and at some point we left to just enjoy the spectacle without the guide.
There were many children in attendance but I think their attention wanted as the tour progressed
Small children might be frightened by loud music and sounds during the light show.

Tiberias is a city situated on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee in Israel. The Old City contains significant Jewish and Christian pilgrimage sites, such as Abulafia Synagogue and Tomb of Maimonides. Along the waterfront, visitors can find a marina, fish market, and Yigal Allon Promenade lined with restaurants. Hamat Tiberias National Park is located south of the city and boasts mineral hot springs dating back to ancient times.
The vibrant Old City is a maze of narrow, pedestrian-only lanes filled with old synagogues, and ancient houses whose blue doors and windows indicate the locals' Kabbalistic beliefs. Galleries and workshops line the streets of the Artists' Quarter, alongside wine cellars and kosher restaurants. Close by, the Khan of the White Donkey cultural center hosts yoga classes and weekly concerts in a restored 1300s building.
The Hermon Stream Nature Reserve, a historic site in Israel, boasts the largest waterfall in the country and is surrounded by lush vegetation. It offers an extensive network of hiking trails with carefully planned rest areas and picturesque spots for photography. The reserve contains a temple dedicated to Pan, the Greek god of nature dating back to Roman times. Its popularity lies not only in its beauty but also in its unique features such as gushing springs and shaded streams.
It's such a great spot to visit. Tucked away in a tiny valley is a huge rushing river with falls! The trail along the river from the falls is a must-see as well.make sure you continue past the falls and follow the river downstream for some amazing sights.

Absolutely stunning walk - nature at its best. I walked the red path (shortest and easiest, because I had an elderly companion with poor knees), but there are a number of paths to take, ranging from "easy" (note: easy for young Israelis, not those with mobility issues - there is still quite a bit of hiking, albeit with steps) to much more difficult.
I'm looking forward to going back.

We went through the short way, and we visited the cave of the old greek God's'Pan'. and then we walked inside the palace, which had six storage rooms.
In between, there was a bakery.
After that, we used the car to see the waterfall and kept walking along the waterfall for almost 40 minutes, and it included approximately 400 stars. It is not that easy for people with physical disabilities and for parents with babies.
Lastly, you are not allowed to bring pets or to start a fire.

Beautiful parks setting. Places to picnic. Unique location of a cave shrine to the Greek god Pan.
It's fascinating that Jesus chose this place to tell his disciples who He was, that he would build His church on "this rock", meaning Himself as Jesus, and the gates of hell would not prevail against it. As such, the pagan people beloved at that time that this location was an entrance to hades because of the seemingly bottomless pool of water in Pan's cave.

Water springs that feed the Jordan River here made this the important ancient city of Caesarea Philippi, the place where Jesus journeyed with his disciples on his way to Mt Hermon, the place of transfiguration, that cemented in the memory of Peter and John and James, the divine nature of Jesus Christ.

Absolutely stunning!
The beauty of the north in all its glory, amazing scenery, fresh cool water, a dazzling waterfall, very well preserved, rich historical background, and many more things to enjoy...
This is a trail you owe yourself to visit at least once, suitable for the whole family.
The choices of trails vary from half an hour, up to 3 hours total.
Very highly recommend!

Definitely one of the Top 3 spots in the North.
I could say, no need for words, just take a look at the pictures.
But it needs some explanation.
This reserve is actually 2 sites (same ticket and entrance fee): the Stream and Waterfall, and the Archeological site a few minutes drive from there.
This one is the one with the Archeological findings and the path in the woods.
It is interesting as well as beautiful because it includes this 45 minute walk along the stream and shows some other surprises
The 2nd site is the Waterfall site.
It has a wooden path which goes along the stream and which is quite comparable to the Austrian Liechtensteinklamm at Alpendorf (near Salzburg) or Canyon Vintgar in Slovenia, just shorter, around 20 minutes.
But absolutely impressive in winter of course during the rainy season.
However in Summer it still is beautiful...and refreshing.
On your way to the stream you'll find beautiful flowers and also...but just look at the pictures.
Bottom line, a Must.
Dan Maarek — Google review
love the place! I would recommend coming sometime in early spring because then all the flowers bloom and its just really beautiful! There are several places to take pictures and breaks, and the way the hike is built is immaculate. In conclusion, 5/5 would totally go again!
The Temple of Bacchus in Baalbek, Lebanon is a well-preserved and beautifully decorated Roman temple dedicated to the god of wine. It features Corinthian columns, an entablature and a curved stone exterior ceiling adorned with vivid scenes depicting various figures including Mars, Victory, Diana, Tyche, Vulcan, Bacchus and Ceres. The temple is often regarded as one of the most stunning architectural masterpieces in the Roman world alongside its neighboring temple of Jupiter.
Breathtaking place. Must visit . Surprising how an old civilisation can build such as huge and fantastic temple full of art.

The temple itself is 100/10
However there are some issues with the guides and the marketing strategy there. They try to embarrass the person to buy stuff from there or to give the guides money for services that he/she didn't ask for.

What an amazing place! We came and had no tour guide, but found one on site. He was amazing, see our pictures. You will not regret coming here. Note the ball back is an extremely dangerous place. However, we made it through OK. We did not go to the souvenir shops which seems sketchy. These are rebuilt! Like a puzzle!

Amazing Roman relic in the Baalbek Temple Complex. It is one of the most well preserved Roman ruins in the world, and one of the grandest. Walking in the Temple of Bacchus makes you feel tiny. I recommend seeing all three temples at Baalbek: the Temple of Jupiter, Bacchus and the Temple of Venus.

Stunning, well worth the trip from Beirut. Beautiful old temple in great condition. Some of the columns have collapsed, taking parts of the roof with it. These parts can be seen on the ground, and give a glimpse of the fine carving and details in the ceilings and edge work.

Absolutely a must go! Nowhere on earth you will see almost no people on site of a Roman ruins and you can touch everything!
On the way you will be 20 min away from Damaskus and maybe see a tank!
People there including the soldiers are so nice and obviously terrorists are selling souvenirs!
Chateau Ksara is the oldest and most renowned winery in Lebanon, located in Zahle. Visitors can partake in a free guided tour of the 2 km underground cave full of barrels, which takes approximately 30 minutes. The staff are friendly and provide detailed explanations about the institution. Guests can also indulge in wine tastings of their dry white wines while enjoying dining at Arabi along Berdawni River.
An exceptional tour and well worth five dollars for tasting, tour, history! Professional, kind, highly experienced staff. Beautiful premises and caves and grapes on site, and built in the late 1800s and the Jesuit priests ended up selling it to Lebanese, for Lebanese families because they were too productive and needed to focus more on their mission of religion and serving God. Note, we had the second from the lowest tour, as noted in my pictures with the price, and you will see how much it cost. It was an exceptional tour. We received about a half dozen tastings of wine which was perfect.

We can take part in their free guide tour inside with no appoints.
It takes roughly 30 minutes with walking inside winery.
The underground cave with a lot of Barrels is full length 2 km.
With walking, a guide staff explain this institution in detail. Staffs is very kindly.
They make white wines. That's taste is almost dry.

This is a winery located in Zahle. Lovely scenery very good information from our guide.
Ksara winery has its natural underground labyrinth that keeps the moist and temperature ideal for preserving and maturing the wine.
It is a nice place to visit and taste the best wines they have.

A great wine experience, the caves were astonishing and the story behind the winery captivates you during the tour. Tour guides are so sweet and can speak English, Arabic or French if you needed. I enjoyed Wine tasting especially the ones I’ve never tried before. And the information I knew about wine were really beneficial.

The place and Caves were amazing, definitely a must place to visit when visiting Beirut. We really loved the wines we tried here, they are very unique, lots of spices from the region. Only thing we didn’t enjoy was that Tour Guide and staff who serves the wine does not have enough information and she was like in a hurry during the tour. Other than that everything was great

We had an extended wine tasting tour that brought us delightful surprises. The tour covered the external grounds, the grapes, and the impressive caves. Our guide, Maya, was not only kind and passionate about Ksara but also highly professional. She offered comprehensive explanations about the winery, its history, and the process of producing arak and wine.
The wine tasting experience itself was exceptional. All wines were delicious and our personal favorites were the Chardonnay and the Ksara 2013. Undoubtedly, this visit stands out as one of the most beautiful experiences we've had. We highly recommend visiting Ksara for a wine tasting tour and indulging in a glass of wine in their charming and picturesque garden.

The winery visit was totally worth the ride to reach there.
The tour we booked was very informative and it was only for our group (group of 4).
The tour guide has good information about what he was talking about.
The tour in the caves was enchanting, any winery tour without the cave tours is really not worth it.
Don’t miss the chance to look at the pictures and learn about the history of the place and the old equipment used and put on display.
Highly recommended.

Incredible experience.
You can have the normal experience or the Premium experience.
I would highly suggest to try the Premium experience!! (15$ per person instead of 6$ per person (for Lebanese people))
You will not only get to visit the wine cave, but you will be able to visit where they work on the Arak, go around the whole Chateau on a Golf Cart, and visit part of the factory, and then get a premium tasting experience with their premium bottles!!
Very worth it.
My favorite two wines are Moscatel (wine for when you’re eating desserts) and Merwah (white wine)
The tour guide was very nice and explained everything in detail and perfectly!

An interesting place where we booked the tour one day in August. The place is clean, neat with helpful and polite staffs. Unfortunately, there was no mention or visit to the wine making process or to the Winery. The visit just involved how they store wine in barrels in the cave and thereafter wine tasting on the first floor!
Not even visit to the vineyard outside.
Very disappointing indeed.
One would expect a visit should include wine making process and visit to the vineyard at least!

The service is ok. But the tour is too expensive for what it is, I expected a lot more.
The wine is good but we already knew that because we drink it often.
The restaurant is over rated, the food is mediocre and too expensive. The wine in the restaurant is double the price of the wine in their shop... so buy the wine in the shop and go drink it with your meal it'll be a smart move.

It was surely an amazing piece of nature but the waterfall ways were filled with mass of concrete and dozens of restaurants and vendors are now sorounding the water. Some restaurants placed their tables right into the water so you can cool yourself both drinking and having your feet in icy water. The overall concept is kinda vulgar, the trash around isnt being collected properly so you dont want to walk away from the main routes. The decoration of some places is quite absurd... combining everything... Anyway it was a nice walk and we cooled ourselves after superhot Antakya.

Amazing place, the food and Nargila is not that good there, you can have a table in the cold water, near the water falls and enjoy the nature, there is also a small market were you can buy some good gifts , the place there is full of cars especially in the weekends you give your car to someone to park it for you and then continue walking to the cafes. Most of the cafes there serve wine and raki. The prices is fair.

The Church of St Pierre is a significant historical site located in Antakya, Turkey. Carved into the side of Mt. Staurin and dating back to 1100 CE, it is one of the world's first cave churches and holds great importance in Christianity. It is believed that St. Pierre held the first religious meeting here to spread Christianity, making it a center of Catholicism and a pilgrimage site for Christians. The church also houses a museum and offers stunning views of the city.
Very old and historical church. Located on the hill so you have to walk to the top. The access if very easy. Actually, the inside is just a cave. I think the attractiveness is the rich-history behind this building.
Muhammad Luthfi — Google review
Entrance fee currently the equivalent in TL of €8 but free if you have a museum card.
To be honest there's not a lot to see. Ten minutes max, which is disappointing given the significant impact of the Antiochean church in early church history.
Gregory Kane — Google review
It's closed for renovation works. After the earthquake those works stopped also. I hope the damages are not significant. This is a picture with damages from outside of the museum.

This place, although is small, should be visited for the historical value that it has. As the first church in the world, and another historical site in a city that dates back to the first civilised city-states of the world. It is better to have the museum card as it gives access to all museums and historical sites of Turkey for 1 year.
W Rose Gac — Google review
The church is a small hall in the mountain. You need to know a bit of history and significance of the place to enjoy the atmosphere, have a look at the city view and tolerate the groups of religious tourists ( not to mention a rather expensive entry fee)
Take your time to go around the church (opposite direction of the main entrance). You shall find an amazing number of tunnels dug in the mountains and the figure carved into the mountain. Unfortunately, the path is not marked and cleaned, but it is definitely part of the amazing history where people had to prepare escape ways to flee religious persecution.

Nice place to visit, returning back to the Apostles time and feel the history. The entry fees is high compared with other museums.

Interesting story, the first church were build in a cave, worth to visit. The entrance fee is a bit high so if you have museum card will be better.

The church is open and unharmed (unlike the city center). But there is a tent camp right in front of the church.
There is not much to see. The visit is worthwhile if you seek a spiritual connection with this unassuming place of great historic importance.
The Hatay Archeology Museum is a must-visit attraction, showcasing a remarkable collection of local artifacts from ancient times. The museum boasts an extensive display of Roman and Byzantine mosaics, depicting nature and human life across different periods. Its colossal size befits the historical significance of Hatay, making it a unique destination for history enthusiasts. Visitors are captivated by the conceptualized rooms and sections, setting it apart from other Turkish museums.
One of the great museums you can ever visit, huge and divers collection. Can't be missed if you in Antakya visting it is a must. However, it needs minimum two hours so make sure you have enough time when you go there.

Really really impressive. I was there for 1.5 hour. It was not enough time. This place is huge. If I didn't have to run to a meeting I would have spent probably closer to 3 hours. The Stone Bridge was constructed around 200 A.D. and spans the Seyhan River. It remained open to traffic until 2007 and is still standing today. The bridge exhibits a simplistic yet stunning design, in contrast to modern bridges. On the opposite side of the bridge lies the old town and Ataturk museum, which are worth exploring. There are also several charming cafes and ice cream shops nearby, as well as street vendors selling various items like prayer beads and underwear.

A beautiful, well-preserved bridge. You can stroll to the other end and back, just as people have done for many hundreds of years. A view of the huge mosque to the north makes for a nice view. There's not too much to do at the bridge, so I'd recommend next heading towards that mosque through the riverside park on the west bank there, as the nice part of town is in that direction. Though beware of aggressive beggars and peddlers at the mosque.

Tarsus Waterfall, located in Mersin, Turkey, is a popular tourist spot known for its stunning natural beauty. The waterfall was formed when the Berdan Stream changed its course in the 5th century, creating an impressive cascade that attracts visitors with its enthusiastic appearance, especially in spring. Surrounded by dense forests and lush vegetation, the waterfall offers public viewing platforms and restaurant options where visitors can enjoy a bite amidst the fragrant jasmines and tranquil waters.

We visited here as part of our trip to Tarsus and really enjoyed it. Access is through a restaurant, although we did not stop to eat. Entrance is completely free as is the large car park.
The waterfall is wide and beautiful, but the part we liked the most was the friendly atmosphere from the locals.
There are picnic tables set up around the viewing site and they were packed with local people coming here to have a picnic breakfast, and were also singing and dancing, in fact they invited us to share their breakfast and dance with them.
There is a duck pond outside with a waterfall which also connects to the main falls. We'll worth going and bring a picnic!

Not to forget the beautiful view especially during sunset, with the fancy yachts and boats parked in the marina.

The atmosphere is nice. The staff were very attentive. Good thing is it iwas closed or else we won't enjoy the place. The salad was good and it was fresh. Love the cake it was very moist.
I also like the view.
Overall I recommend this place.

Perfect park for everyone to spend their weekend or leisure time, either alone, with friends or family. You can walk along the coastal area and enjoy the cold breeze sea air. There's also a mini amusement park, benches and swings.

Excellent service. We love coming for breakfast here. Tasty food, attentive stuff and a beautiful location by the water. There is an administrator here that speaks fluent English and is super friendly and professional. You could recognize him by a moustache.
PS: if you like strong, dark roasted coffee, you need to try it here.
PPS: our bill here was always correct, unlike other places.

Nice marina with plenty of nice shops and restaurants. Staff at the entrance barrier are very kind and helpful. Nice walk along the promenade into Mersin. Would defo recommend this place during the day or evening fir a meal and walk around the shops and look at the boats.

This a beautiful shopping center with lots of cafes and an amusement park. The yachts and shops give the impression of luxury, but the prices are affordable. I like the vibe of the place. Unfortunately, there was garbage (plastics) floating in the water, and I can't understand why people ignore the garbage problem. I'm not happy with the littering problem here in Mersin, but I won't just complain. I will do my part to clean up this beautiful town and educate others about keeping the environment beautiful.

The Varda Viaduct is an impressive architectural marvel characterized by its soaring structure and dramatic arches. It gained popularity after its appearance in the James Bond movie "Skyfall". Though worth a visit, drivers should be aware that there is only one passage through the tunnel, which is a one-way road. Visitors are advised to come early in the morning when it's less busy as photo taking spots can be dangerous.
German made bridge from 1912, Nice view
Gokhan Baysal — Google review
Safety warning. You need to drive carefully to this place, the road is narrow, after driving for an hour in a narrow road you will be reaching a cafe where you can rest and enjoy the view of the bridge. Only sandwiches and drinks, no kebap lol. We left the area and had our nice grilled sucuk at ( Tekir Zirve Restaurant), located on the top of the mountain where the view is also amazing.
RUMAISA KOUSA — Google review
Only worth visiting if you are driving close by. I didn't really see the draw here. Nice bridge, but way too many other things to see if your time is limited like mine was on vacation. Not easy to get to either. Seems most people go here just because it was in a James Bond movie. Skip it!

Worth a visit, great piece of architecture. Warning for the drivers - if you intend to continue through the road, keep in mind that there is only one passage through the tunnel and it is a one way (better visit when it's not busy).

If you've never been, visit the bridge on season (warm weather). Normaly there are amanities, wc, places to eat smt near by but out season everything was closed, take a train from Adana to Hacikiri and walk 5 min to see the bridge

Great view, perfect nature... The road from Adana-Karaisalı is much better compared to the road from Tarsus even though Tarsus road offers a better view of the bridge.

what a magnificent piece of work! this 100-meter-high vidaduct is a combined effort of german engineering and turkish muscle force, constructed more than 100 years ago. the road to the bridge is dangerous and for the most part consists of single lane but it's definitely worth to change the route to see this bridge.

Very special place to visit.. It's about 1hour 15mn from Adana or Mersin. This German bridge is known for being James Bond bridge in his Skyfall movie.

Varda Viaduct is an impressive artifact of German engineering. It was built between 1907-1912 during the Ottoman period. It is a steel superstructure covered with stone blocks. It is very impressive and made worldwide famous with the Bond movie Skyfall.
It's an hour drive from Adana and deserves every effort spent to visit it.
While there, one must try the sweets of the car salesman. He cooks at the premise, the sweets are always fresh and very cheap ( three pieces/$)

Subterranean cavern with stalagmites, stalactites & a reflective lake, accessed by boat or on foot.
Breathtaking views scenery both outside and inside must see. Entry fee as of today was 19TL definitely with it. I recommend once inside cave go all the way down first then slowly come back up enjoying cave views as straight up can be tiring. Great lake view at bottom.
Ayse Oz — Google review
These caves are a must visit if you are anywhere near. They are massive and truly one off earth natural wonders. There are so many large stalactites and stalactites and columns and there is lighting there to show them off. It's a long way down but there is a clear water lake at the very bottom. There is a man made metal stairs to the very bottom and it's 320 steps back up to the cave entrance. It's very warm in the caves. Big free car park, tarmac road to get there. There is a coffee restaurant and toilets and the ticket price is about 24 lira.
Richard Attoe — Google review
An amazing view opens up before your eyes - green trees, blue waters and high rocks. The colors are stunning, the height - impressive.
Going into the cave you feel a sudden heat wave, the lights are dim and the oxygen is low. There are quite many stairs, but it's worth it once you see the astonishing beauty of the cave structures. There is a crystal-like shining layer over the rocks.
At the bottom you see a crystal clear lake witb rocks reflecting from its calm waters.
It's the most beautiful cave I've ever see! ❤️🇹🇷🗻
Svetoslava Nacheva — Google review
This is the most beautiful cave I have seen so far. The entrance is located on the wall overlooking the sea and you have to go down the stairs in order to reach it. Once inside, the number and size of stalactites will take your breath away. You just have to go deeper and deeper, across open areas and small path until you reach the amazing lake that lies at the bottom of it. If you are driving around Southern Turkey, don't miss the opportunity to visit this cave! The entrance fee was less than 2€.
Alexandru Ioan — Google review
This cave is amazingly beautiful and the management has done a very good job of making it accessible. The entire length of the attraction, from the top of the hill to the bottom of the cave is paved with metal walkways with rails and great traction. Myself and many of the other guests were fat and out of shape but it is still easy to get to the bottom and back to the top again if you take a slow pace. It is very hot and very humid inside the cave so you will get very very sweaty. I recommend bringing a second shirt you can change into before leaving.

A longer drive from Mersin than Heaven & Hell caves but so much better! If you go early you can enjoy the cave all to yourself (or almost). Definitely worth the trip!

Super cool seaside cave 🌊🦇🤩
This cave is pretty remarkable because it's a stones throw away from the Mediterranean Sea but as you go down it's winding corridors you actually stumble onto a small underground freshwater lake that's crystal clear turquoise blue 💙🔵💙
I honestly don't think I have seen a cave quite like this one as far as sheer size of the chambers of the cave as well as the actual size of the structures inside of the cave goes 🤯
Going down the rusty staircase of death which brings you from the cliffside down by the ocean into the mouth of the cave You get some pretty great views of the coastline and a phenomenal little sunset viewpoint 👌👌👌
I really enjoyed climbing around this big bad girl and the giant lagoon in the bottom of this cavern was the icing on the cake 💝🌠😍

Beautiful limestone formations though with lots of stairs - 568 steps going in and then you start back. That does not count the ramp leading to the stairs. The fee was very reasonable. The blue pool at the bottom is beautiful and clear!

The Seljuk-era castle atop Alanya's rocky peninsula is a popular tourist destination with steep streets circling its massive walls. The walls and towers are still visible from the city below, and the castle is awaiting Unesco World Heritage listing. There are 83 towers and 140 towers in the walls, as well as 1,200 original cisterns.
For ease of getting to the castle it is best to take the cable car to near the top. Remember however that when you are off the cable car you are.not near to the main part of the castle and there are still lots of steps to climb higher. There are shops and cafes so in the heat plenty of cool off stops. There are also souvenir shops including market stalls selling cotton and lace goods, like tablecloths. Plenty of information around the castle to explain what is what. Great views from the top of Alanya.

Awesome views from around the castle. It was closed by the time I got there but it had a sign that entrance fee is 65 TL. The view of the city is incredible. Even if you didn’t get to go inside it’s worth coming by and enjoying the scenery.

Some corners could be cleaner, the grass cut in order to make the access easier for the tourists. The view is breathtaking and the cable car not expensive.

Good castle, in the castle itself information are only in Turkish so I didn't understand maybe make also in English? Also we payed extra entrance for that. The old Bazar is like all the other commercial stores nothing special I thought at least some Turkish tea will be served. All in all a great location to visit. Gondola are good it's 200 Lira for up and down unless you have an international student id card I didn't understand

Well-kept castle, with a beautiful view of the sea and Alanya. There are walkways through the castle, making it easy to walk and enjoy the scenery. That being said, this closed off part of the castle is not much different from the open free-entrance parts of the castle, making me miss a bit "more" with regard to the entrance fee, but still worth a visit.

Gorgeous views of Alanya, they bay and port. Definitely worth the visit. Do it on your own terms - most organised excursions allow you only 1 hr to explore and it is far from enough. 2-3 minimum so that you can properly enjoy the experience.

A must see if you visit the city.
We’ve been with the funicular.
We spent the whole day over there.
We’ve dobe a lot of things to do over there.
We visited some traditional houses, a mosque, the bazaar, we had some juices inside a tavern.
We really enjoyed spending the day over there.

Great views, good experience for people who like history. But much of it is blocked off. There's very limited access to the trail. However, there's a nice restaurant at the top, we didn't have any food, but used their restrooms. Everything was very clean, staff seemed very friendly and accommodating.
I would recommend going up via cable car and walking back down via pathway that they had made. So only but one way ticket for the cable car. Views from the cable cars were amazing too. It's a 6-minute ride each way. There are also few benches where you can take a break and take in the views. Please like my input as I do make a lot of effort to give as much information as possible to help you decide if you're planning on visiting this place. 👍

We took the tram up to the castle and walked around in the morning. The view from the tram was beautiful as you can see cleopatra's beach and the beautiful clear Mediterranean Sea. The walk up is nice the stairs are easy and the view amazing. lots of souvenir shops, restaurants, a mosque as well. There is a cost to visit the inner castle of 30TL the castle sits at the top at and is 250 meters above sea level. There are bathrooms located up there as well. Worth the visit, i recommend taking the tram for the view, the cost was 60 TL return trip
The castle is open every day from 09:00 to 19:30 in the spring and summer, and from 08:30 to 17:00 in the autumn and winter.

Great place for a trip. Very extensive old ruins on top of a hill in Alanya. Standing by the cable car, it seems that it is quite far and high. In fact, the ascent takes about 35 minutes and is not demanding. You can easily go for a walk. At the top there are many walking paths, several restaurants, observation decks, etc... Must see place!

You have a pretty nice view from up there.
In the castle, you can find little shops, a museum, lots of very friendly cats and impressive architecture.
But be aware, in summer the tropical heat on this mountain hits different, so be prepared.

Amazing place to wonder around. There is a flower smell in the air, seaview points, beautiful ancient ruins.
It is pity that the historical information is written mostly in Turkish, not in English.
It is a place not for one time, because of so many paths to walk and objects to explore.
Elena Kropaneva — Google review
It is nice to see great views. The people that live up there and also in the shops are really nice, not because they want to sell you stuff. It is even cheaper to buy from the stores at the castle. The castle itself is nice to see, not the most special thing to do, but a good addition to your holiday. Be prepared you will walk a lot in the sun.

To see it all you would at least a full day. It’s a fine mixture of culture, nature and jaw-dropping views and great food and drinks. It’s a lovely stroll up the mountain taking winding pedestrian roads or just straight up the mountain.

Beautiful views, we went up in the cable car, £7,50 per person if you like exploring old sites. It's definitely worth it. It's quiet a treck up to the castle
When you get off the cable car.. So not for those who would struggle with lots of steps and slopes.
But you can alternatively get a taxi up.
The sunset views are amazing.

Kleopatra Beach is a wide, calm beach with stunning views of the castle and mountains. There are plenty of sun loungers and beach clubs, making it perfect for a day out.
We had an incredible boat tour today that allowed us to explore Alanya's beautiful coastline. 🇹🇷 We left around 10:00 o'clock from Alanya's harbor, and were taken to the sea caves located around the Alanya castle called pirates, lovers, phosphorous, and devils. We also passed by near Cleopatra's beach. The boat made a few stops, where we could swim in the open water. It was my first time to actually swim in open water without a life jacket. I've come far along 🥰 Anyway, this 35€ boat tour for three people also covered our lunch. We were served grilled chicken, sallad, and spaghetti bologneze, which was followed by a freakin' awesome soap dancing party up stairs. We were back to our hotel around 3:30 pm.

Water is supposed to be really clear but it's not. A bit murky/cloudy.
Plenty of seating either for a few quid or free via your hotel. A little bit cramped perhaps but it's a popular beach so it's to be expected.
Considering it's apparently cleaned daily I found the beach quite dirty, both in the early morning and night. The main culprit is tons of cigarette butts. There are plenty of ashtrays available but people are so lazy and dirty they ash them in the sand which is sad to see.
Sand is coarse and not fine. Water gets deep quite quickly but is generally warm at all times in late September.
Toilets, showers, bars and restaurants across all of the beachfront for refreshments and comfort which was nice to have.
Overall I would say it's just an average beach, but that's due to my exposure to some pristine beaches in asia. If you only ever holiday in the Mediterranean then maybe this would be rated higher for you.

It's a beautiful beach with amazing views and very clean. It is not sandy but has fine pebbles which is fun to play in and not as annoying as sand! There are slippery rocks at the entrance to the sea and it is quite deep, with powerful waves so our children could not swim there but loved playing in the surf. We would definitely return here if we holiday in Alanya again.

And enjoyable sunrises and small events and gatherings on this beach. A place to see hanggliders in the sky, landing on the beach. Out in the water, crosses pirateships as incoming visitors close by. They are staying to let persons bath in the water, close to the beach. Thete is also statues of Cleopatra as monuments. A place to remember as a place to give away as tip to a friend, about where you can spend a well worth vacation.

Very beautiful beach, with many facilities like beach beds, cabanas, bars etc. It’s not sand beach more like tiny rocks. The view is incredibly beautiful there and the water is blue and clear. The only disadvantage is the fact that it’s quickly very deep so you need some kind of equipment if you want to relax in water instead of swimming non stop

The beach, atmosphere and surroundings are so beautiful. In photos beach does not look super nice, just regular. I was not very keen to go there but when I went I was so surprised how beautiful this part of Alanya is. A lot of palms, plants, flowers. Beach and sea are so clean. I loved the type of sand there. In reality looks 100x times better and more beautiful than pictures. Pictures do not portray reality at all.
A vibrant hotel, A Good Life Family Resort Water Planet offers unpretentious lodgings with access to a water park and nightclub. Additionally, there are multiple dining options and bars available on the premises. Despite some negative feedback suggesting subpar maintenance of the water park's slides, after visiting myself I found them acceptable though in need of repainting. The water park's overall upkeep, including gardening and restroom facilities, were better than expected.
Perfect in general.
Very good rooms, delicious food, 5 pools - all good, aquapark is the big plus.
What is not good (as my opinion - did not make any problems): just 1 good barmen in lobby, all bars makes different same cocktails; very small lobby (in evenings had no seats); service is not bad and not good (comsi-comsa).

A good hotel with a lovely territory, beautiful sights. Food and service are ok too, maybe those who seek sofisticate meals wouldn’t find them here, but for me food was fine. Very positively surprised, I feared the worse with an all-inclusive place. Location is the best in the area with a large pine tree park. You can have a quiet spot, a lively one if you want. Excellent service and very decent food. No beach as such, but it is better to have a whole hill as a playground. Other hotels just have a sand beach and nothing else.
Recommended for both families and couples.

The overall location and aesthetic of the hotel are amazing, except for the constant noise made by the crickets in the trees. It's located on top of a hill, so you can see the Mediterranean and the coastline for miles on end. The food was great, except for the lack of pork, but that is well compensated for with the local dishes and specialties. The staff was always very polite, except for some student workers who were often short and quite impolite. One thing you should consider, as someone who primarily speaks English, is that they don't – and I mean not at all. For example, there is a sign at the beach with the rules on it, and the English instructions did not have a single sentence without a grammatical error. The pools are hot, not refreshing at all; they're almost hotter than outside the pool. I understand it might be difficult to keep them cool, but come on, this is too much. So yeah, A Good Life Utopia Family is a great vacation place for you and the kids.

It's a good hotel, but not perfect, there is variety of food, but the taste is not the best, the waiters and personal staff is really helpful
But the hotel is very boring after pools are shut, no night life or music like other nearby places, only kids show at 9 o'clock, and then go to bed, never go to the spa they care about money only they let kids inside and even into the massage floor they kept playing and screaming so it lost it's aim already, when we complained to the manager he kept joking about it in a silly way

The hotel was quite good, also the rooms, the pools and the sorrowndings were nice. But the food was not so tasty and there were flies everywhere in the restaurant (which is not hygienic at all, considering that the food is served at the buffet). The receptionists were quite welcoming and helpful, but barely could understand any English and very often was very difficult to communicate (and some workers, I must say, were a little bit too clingy, people who go there want mainly to relax and not be annoyed). The activities and the shows were nice but the live music was terrible (some singers didn’t even know the words of the songs 😅 and the songs were repetitive). The drinks were good and there was a lot of choice. At the end of the day considering the price the hotel was nice, but I don’t think I would come again since there were many things that I really didn’t like much (in particular the food and the flies near it).

After reading of some negative comments I want to try this waterpark by myself. Ok .. some slides are not 100 percent new and can use a new paint job but generally OK. Also the general condition of the water park like gardening and toilets are not so bad as I read in some comments. The big surprise was the all inclusive buffet good quality of salads and for kids a dream of unlimited chicken nuggets and hamburgers. What could you expect more for this low entrance fee ?

We had an good stay. The food is awesome. Pools are clean and numerous. There’s a cool and fun pool for kiddos, wave pool, water park. The staff is great, really doing a fantastic job making sure you enjoy your stay to the fullest. Exceptional location with beautiful scenic views, loads of green in contrast to other hotels. Aquapark with slides is located on the side keeps unnecessary noises away from the main pool area. The hotel has activities for all age groups, kids , teenagers and adults, everyone will find something enjoyable to do. And if you need a proper relaxation the adult only access infinity pool on the roof is just the place to be. Huge thanks to the amazing staff, they made our holidays just the way you would hope for them to be.

Manavgat offers a variety of activities and tours for travelers to enjoy. One popular option is the Manavgat River Cruise, which takes visitors on a wooden boat trip to view the scenic waterfall. This area is perfect for picnics, swimming, and fishing, and it's also an opportunity to spot local wildlife such as pelicans, egrets, and kingfishers.
I can’t express the beauty of this place in words, but I hope my photos can.

The Side Archaeological Museum, situated in a historic building, showcases relics and artwork from nearby excavations. It is considered a must-visit location in Manavgat for those interested in Roman and Seljuk Turk civilizations as well as Macedonia of Alexander the Great to Byzantium empire. Visitors can purchase a combined ticket with the Side Antique Theater for 80 Turkish lira to experience everything this archaeological museum has to offer.
The marvelous ancient city Side and its marvelous museum . City of Apollo and his temple ! Museum contains many priceless objects! You travel in time while visiting ! Everybody should visit The museum who comes to Side!

Very small museum so should cost max 20 lira and no 40 but I really enjoyed it and would recommend a visit.

A must place to visit in Side, Manavgat. If you are planning to visit both Side antique theater and side museum you can get a combined ticket for 80 Turkish lira. You will find yourself in a time machine. From past to present, Romans to Seljuk Turks, Macedonia of Alexander the Great to Byzantium empire you will be able to find pretty much anything related to these old civilizations that has passed through this soils.

Well curated museum with many wonderful pieces of Roman and Byzantine history. Well worth the price of entry and highly recommended if you're visiting Side.

Great day out, fantastic location on beach front and it's so knowable to see for yourself the past of Turkey has to offer and very good on entry price . Toilets available on site and little cafe for ice cream and a drink. Please give it a try as this helps fund the museum to keep us educated of our past it's well worth the visit.....

Side Archaeological Museum was quite informative and introduced you to the Antique City. Some of the exhibits are really fascinating

A lot of artefacts from the Hellenistic and the Roman periods. Tickets for the amphitheatre and the museum can be bought at the entrance to the amphitheatre. Payment cards accepted. Due to renovation, the entrance to the museum was from the seafront (as in mid May 2023), clear street directions are in place. No waiting in line was necessary when visited in the morning of a weekday. More people in the harbour around lunchtime.

This is a really cool museum with a collection of various relics discovered around Side. One noteworthy thing you will find here are the ancient Luwian scripts which have yet to be fully deciphered. The museum itself is quite beautiful and the exhibits are inside a set of restored old bath houses. If you are in Side this is a must.
Herman Singh — Google review
Well worth a visit. Not only the museum, the whole of Antique Side is built on Roman ruins .A number of the shops and outdoor areas have glass floors so you can see the ruins .

Small but very rich Museum! Never miss visiting it while visiting Side. The statues and pieces there complement the ones in Antalya Museum, so you must visit that one too, to get a full understanding of the history of the city.
If you have the museum card, you can enter for free, otherwise you will pay 18 TL.
Asaad Al- Moudarres — Google review
Museum quite literally built into ancient Roman ruins 🤯🤯🤯
This museum is phenomenal with all of its sculptures, sarcophaguses, and paintings. What's even more impressive is this museum is housed inside of actual ruins! For me this is very unique and I've never seen anything quite like this before. Absolutely adore this idea though! This is recycling done right 🤜💥🤛
A few of the statues in here are more than world-class. You could say these are my favorite not just in Turkey buuuut in any museum I've ever seen anywhere else in the world 💓🗽💓
There are a few museum cats hanging out in the courtyard looking for some kitty love... One cat was on the prowl trying to snag a bird off one of the ancient statues outside. Not something you get to see everyday haha It was an admiral attempt by the kitten buuut a feeble one as the bird was toying with the cat letting him get close and then flying over to the next statue and the next and the next 🐦😼😜😂
Huge thumbs up to this museum 👍

A very good display of ancient artefacts well presented. Augments all the ancient sites close to the amphitheatre nearby. Price includes admission to amphitheatre.
The Apollon Temple is a picturesque waterfront location featuring ancient temple ruins with iconic columns and stone structures. The Roman architecture is stunning, making it a must-visit destination for fans of ancient architecture in the region or elsewhere. The town of Side offers visitors the chance to explore its lovely shops, restaurants, and harbor. This pedestrian-friendly town also features a large free car park 10 minutes away on foot. The Roman ruins are worth visiting both during the day and at night when they're illuminated.
These Roman ruins are great to visit during the day and at night as they are illuminated in the night. Its a lovely town with nice shops, restaurants and a harbour, so nice to walk around. It's great that it is basically a pedestrian town with a large free car park 10 mins walk away.

There are grander sights in the world, but the atmosphere during sunset makes it worthwhile.
The view from the sea is something to behold imagining how ancient mariners would have viewed the old city.
It’s well worth the visit. Don’t bother during the heat of the day. There are better archaeological wonders nearby and many untouched a small drive away, but I’d encourage you to venture to it.

So beautiful! Amazing views, amazing architecture, amazing history. Lots of photo opportunities, lovely views of the sea wonderful eatery options. Kid friendly and best to enjoy this on foot..it is so worth the little walk as you can truly take it all in.

Beautiful historical site with stunning views. It would have been lovely to have some information about the site available for tourists. I would definitely recommend finding out about the temple first. I was disappointed to see that there were tourists climbing on the ruins and this was apparently ok!
There was a nice little rock pool area to explore between the temple and the sea.

Beautiful Roman architecture. Must see if you are a fan of ancient architecture in this region or in total. Side is amazing place, one of my favourite visited so far. After walk and all sight seeing you can chill in nearby cafe or take a boat trip which at the moment some are offered as 2.99€ per person.

Impressive and humbling site. One of the best things I have ever seen. The whole Side town is full of ancient Roman ruins, but the temple is right at the edge of the land and offers amazing views.
I suggest visiting the site very early in the morning before the crowd gets in. I took a walk around the town at 6am, and there was barely anyone around.

stunning ruins and really pretty little shopping plaza. but be prepared for constant offers to buy roles and gucci extra "for very good price"
David Crawford — Google review
Honestly its not much of a temple except a couple of pillars left standing after tidal waves and quakes have levelled most of the erstwhile temple. The pillars themselves are half recreated not original. The place creates one hell of a view near sunset to look upon the history and legacy this place once held. But its a long walk inside and I would not recommend it except during good weather and if you have a lot of time. The rest of the place has a couple of decent beaches for boating and swimming and a long line of shops. Seems like a tourist trap to me.

Beautiful antique city, in Side/Manavgat, very close to a small boat marina and Side downtown city. Nice small shops and restaurants around. Most impressive near evening/night.

The whole harbour town is littered with monuments, original features, house, amphitheatre etc. You just walk around to see them. Modern buildings are innkeeping, and many street areas are glass covered to reveal the original features below. Really nice touch. Easily spend half a day wandering round here.

Beautiful! Just stand here peacefully and try to imagine what it was like hundreds of years ago when the ancient Greeks were here, feel and hear those people. Your imagination is unlimited, if you allow it to be

Great piece of ancient architecture framed against the blue Side sky. Only improvement I could suggest is more historical information available at the site to enable aporeciation of its significance.
Pete Flynn — Google review
When we have entered the ruins and the temple we had vibes from Rome. We loved Rome, so we loved the Apollon Temple too. We went there at 16:00 because we wanted to see it in daylight, and we have waited until the sunset and also the night to see the city lights in the evening. There is a small "train" that can take you straight to Side for 1€ but it's better to walk it there. The walk will take 10 minutes at most. If you are visiting cities near Side definitely have to check out the Apollon Temple!

It free so if you are in Side its worth a look, site quite small and is currently under restoration.

The Aspendos Theater is an exceptionally well-preserved Roman amphitheater, which is still utilized today for open-air performances and movie screenings. It was constructed by a local architect and stands out as one of the most immaculate examples of ancient architecture. The theater is enormous, leaving visitors awestruck with its grandeur. Although there are many other Roman theaters around, none compare to the perfection that this one exudes.
This is another great Roman amphitheatre and in amazing condition, well worth the 60 lira entrance fee. Plenty of free parking. I love that this Roman history is being restored and looked after.
Richard Attoe — Google review
Well preserved Roman theatre. Ample free parking spaces. Tickets without hearing guide aids - 100 TRY and with hearing aids around 600 TRY.
Note- there is a small trail to hike (difficulty easy) if you are interested in checking out remains of things like old stadium. Do carry water, comfortable walking shoes , sunscreen and a walking stick (if you’d prefer/ need one). If you are only interested in visiting roman theatre, you wouldn’t need to walk on hiking trail; its located right at the entry point.
WC available inside (after you purchase ticket) and there are small stalls with water and soft drink supplies and a photographer stall (dude dressed as a roman warrior-check his clicks you might-find it interesting).
Master J — Google review
With an entrance fee of 200TL (summer of 2023) you do not “just” get access to this Aspendos Theater; the whole garden and the old town around it also comes with the ticket.
The Aspendos Theater is a nice place to see. Some parts have been restored, but literally the most of it is in it’s original condition. There isn’t a lot to see if you just like to visit old buildings. But if you would take the time to look at the small details, you’ll enjoy and see a lot more. Such as written texts on 2000 year old stones, small boulders around which gives you the imagination of how it has been used before. Amazing!
Unfortunately the Aspendos Theater is also being used for (local) concerts, you can see the changed the authorities have made to the archeologic building. However, beside this, it’s a great place to imagine the times people onced lived at.
It is recommended to take your time and come early. That’s because there is basically no place with shadow to get out of the hot sun! Enjoy and look around the area as well, it’s an easy 3 hour of your day spend!

we came here at sunset and it was amazing. There are a lot of buildings that are well preserved. you can wander, look and imagine how people lived here in ancient times. I would budget a couple of hours for a walk around this ancient city, because the place is truly magical. the amphitheater was preserved just perfectly, we couldn’t get inside because it was already closed, but we looked at it from above. We liked this ancient city much more than the one in the city of Side.

Definitely must see if you are in area. We drove from Antalya as part of bigger tour we took in area and we decided to see Aspendos too. Theatre is massive and can impress if you can be impressed by ancient architecture. I can only imagine any spectacle going on there.
For me it wasn’t breathtaking but neither Colosseum in Rome was so probably I’m just not a fan of architecture but that’s my own opinion.

One of the most preserved roman empire theatres in turkey.
It really takes you back in time.
Is quite amazing that in middle of no where civilizations were staying and living their lives. Marvelous and gigantic.
It's recommended to have museum card if you are visiting Turkey. I used it on multiple places.

Amazing historic location to visit. I reccomend getting a tour scheduled ahead of time, they will drive you from Alanya. The steps and seats are so impressive, we spent a lot of time before the show exploring the theater. We saw the Fires of Anatolia, which were impressive!
Thomas Adams — Google review
I visited this place even without events, and it was quite good. However, the opera creates an entirely different impression! Excellent acoustics, a starry sky above. There was 'Aida,' a wonderful orchestra and vocals, ballet (you know a couple of countries where there is ballet =). There is water you can buy, but no alcohol, and parking can be a problem. It's not just an event, it's not quite a tourist event. It's a real Opera and Ballet festival! I recommend sitting in the center(vertical) due to the acoustic features. If you just want to look around without an event, climb up the hill behind the amphitheater; there you'll find beautiful views and impressive ruins. In conclusion, I recommend visiting
Dmitry Droidovich — Google review
Very well preserved and great views! I highly recommend bringing extra water as you can walk in the area to see other ruins, but it can be a lot in the heat/summer time.
Gertrud — Google review
An incredible place to visit. One of the best kept amphitheatre in the world which is still used for special occasions. The aqueducts and the way water was distributed around the ancient city is also awesome. The echo quality in the amphitheatre is superb. It gets very busy from May to September. It is best to visit in March when anemones and daisies are full bloom.
Fehmi Hanoglu — Google review
Only a 20 minute drive from Side so no reason to mis all this beauty.
After paying 60tl you find yourself smack in the middle of the best conserved theater in Turkey.
How they build this...I'll never understand but it is breathtaking.
The area around is nice but doesn't live up to the actual theater, but is included so give it a go.
Have fun visiting history!
Steve Moreels — Google review
Truly amazing theater! The biggest and the most well preserved/reconstructed that we saw in our trip.
Recommend planning your visit in advance to see if you can catch one of the performances that takes place in this theater. It's huge and has great acoustics.
Aizhamal Nurmamat kyzy — Google review
I have been to the Colosseum in Italy, Rome and I have to say, this has just as much wow factor.
Entry cost = 250 Lira (for tourists/non Turkish citizen) which also entitles you to see other things in the city of Aspendos like the basilica..
Obviously much smaller but you enter the theatre with a big 😮 on your face. Just like you do in Rome. It is very well preserved and you can stay here for a while just observing & walking around.
5/5 if you are in the area, it is a must see in person! Sensational
Kenan Altiparmak — Google review
This is a big site to visit with a magnificent theater that still is used to hold performances. It is great if you check the schedule before you go. If you are lucky you will be able to watch a concert in the theater. Allow couple hours for wondering around.
M Wagner — Google review
Theatre is in better condition but rest of the city's ruins are not being taken care. Some information boards were too old that nothing could be read on them. The path to go up to the city is very dangerous with sharp and small stones on which you have to walk with extreme care else you might fall and get severe injuries because its continues inclination. I felt that management can improve the facilities. The stairs of theater are also very slippery so it would be good if you wear anti slip shoes while visiting.
Misbah Sulman — Google review
Very well preserved theatre that it still actively used - we saw preparations for the concert. Definitely makes an impression! Few tourists so you can visit it in calm. Entrance included in the Museum Pass Turkey.
Monika H — Google review
The theatre was so well preserved, almost too well preserved! Very impressive sight which you can thoroughly explore as everything is open to you. The steps are steep so take care when descending. After the theatre there is a path to the side of the theatre which takes you to the city ruins above, also well worth visiting though they are proper ruins which have had no restoration. I went in Spring so the area was covered in Spring flowers. Take water and sun cream as there is no shade to speak of.
Near by there are ruins of an aquaduct so if you have a car they are worth seeing. You'll need to back track and turn off to the right, don't recall the name but it is minutes away and as you're in the area...
Mark Blaszczyk — Google review
Standing in the stands of the well-preserved amphitheater, you can imagine how people experienced it a long time ago. Simply a great experience. The ruins of the large city on the hill give a good insight into life back then. You can get as close to the ruins as you like and get a very vivid impression of the ancient times.
yudji kaiser — Google review
In general it was ok. The problem was we went to Side the previous day so we ended up comparing the two. The theatre was impressive but the access to the other ruins was treacherous. No maintenance on the path up the hill. Filled with large boulders and pebbles. Very poor sign posting. Parking was plentiful.
Sourav Bhattacharya — Google review
A fantastic experience going back in time.
You can walk around the theatre and get some beautiful views.
Ravi — Google review
The theatre itself is very impressive, it’s been restored in some parts. The rest of the site is less well preserved or cared for it seems. There is also a lack of information at each of the ruins. The path around the other ruins is uneven and hard for older people to walk around.
Charlotte Heffer — Google review
you won't get the crowds like Ephesus but definitely worth seeing if you are a history fan. the amphitheater here is well preserved and its massive, besides the theater the rest of the ruins of Aspendos are spread out, so be prepared for a walk/hike.
since this isn't as big of a tourist site you will not get paved pathways, and not as many signs with historical information and all.
if you are in Antalya I would recommend checking it out

The Land of Legends Kingdom Hotel is a vibrant and relaxed resort with quirky and colorful rooms and suites. It offers a variety of restaurants and a water park, making it an ideal destination for families. The hotel provides numerous attractions for children, ensuring that they have an enjoyable experience. Guests can enjoy the breakfast and dinner buffets which offer a wide range of options. Additionally, the hotel is connected to a shopping avenue and theme parks, providing convenience for guests.
An amazing venue that caters primarily to kids. The staff were always helpful and always with a smile. We were there in December, the weather was in the late teens during the day though colder at night. The hotel was decked out for Christmas and most of the entertainment was themed accordingly
I cant emphase enough how lovely the staff were. The kids loved it here and we would likely be back.

Good place to spend 1 day, don't regret. Have not a lot of adrenaline attractions (dry and water). I saw a lot of attractions for children, I think they would love it.
A bit disappointed that I should pay for lockers!!! I was going to park with 2 hours with big packet (since they are far from me, it was necessary to take all the necessary things, As park has water attractions, I took swim suit and towel). Do they expect all of their customers to be nearby guests and most come light? I think most people come with big bags. I carried a big backpack everywhere. What I am trying to say is ticket wasn't so cheap and as they have water attractions that require to have extra staff (swim suits, towels), they could be more client oriented and provide lockets included (as it is in the most water attractions places which I visited). The good part that they have places where to drop your bag near each ride.

First day we arrived I thought wow better than Disney. 4th day in and I must say everyone here works if you tip them even room service if you see her in the morning and you tip her she does a very good job if you don’t she keeps the room unmade and messy as if she got it done in 5 minutes. Staff claim they are the management even though they’re not. They make up stories to make more money for example you book a car for x amount 2 min before you go they say oh no it’s not available there is only and option of this which is double the amount. I know that there are places in the world who have this but didn’t expect it here knowing how much we’ve spent I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here I would suggest to stay somewhere else and come spend the day here. Hopefully you’ll find better service there.

As for the queue, yes sometime they are pretty big. But anyway you can definitely find attractions without big queue or bye a VIP pass. Or maybe you should come here in the weekdays.
The only thing is - you cannot bring your water or food in here. And local cafes have only fast food, pastry and all of those are not that cheap :(

It’s a nice place for visit it’s also free to enter and car park was free too.
Unfortunately, I could not be there in the evening due to having other commitments to see the event lighting show. You can also take the small boat ride for free if you decide to spend at least 1000TL or over worth of shopping at any shop. It’s about £50. Make sure you make one receipt that shows your expenditure of 1000TL or over to qualify for a boat ride. Multiple receipts may not be accepted ?

Our experience was far from enjoyable. The hotel staff appeared to have little understanding of English, causing communication difficulties. Moreover, the loud live music shows outside made it impossible to sleep before 11pm. To make matters worse, noise from adjacent rooms could be easily heard. The spa was particularly hazardous as the floors lacked any form of slip protection, resulting in numerous slips. The only redeeming aspect was the quality of the breakfast food. However, overall, the hotel felt disorganized and chaotic, failing to meet the standards of a high-end establishment. Given these issues, the price was unjustified and the experience fell short of expectations.

The kids had a great time but I think this place is over pricey. Food is expensive and you have to be careful. We had a fantastic experience at the hotel. It was beautiful, grand, and immaculate. The staff were all very amiable and friendly, especially the guy at the gym! I enjoyed using the gym, sauna, and steam room facilities while staying there. The food choices at the restaurant were excellent, with different menu options every day. The facilities are great. Many things to do including shopping and rides. The food was very good too.
Unfortunately, most of the theme park staff were so rude and impatient. There is a lady called Gülşen who was working on "the great Wall of China" ride, she was unbelievably rude, we didn't understand Turkish and she was shouting at us because we didn't get that we needed to put all our belongings on the shelf before we get onto the ride. When she was supposed to push the safety belt down, she pushed it too hard angrily and then really hurt me and my mother who is a 62 year old. This is when I asked her about her name and she said it in a very angry manner. I don't understand why would staff who are working a theme park would bring such attitude with them to work and treat people who are on a holiday with this manner!

Hotel is stunning, theme park great and water parks are amazing.
The hotel is let down on a few things though.
1. Too little staff for the service needed. Waiting 30-40 mins for drinks in the main restaurant and also the legends bar and outside of this.
2. Food very repetitive and often cold in the main restaurant.
3. Really expensive to buy drinks outwith the all inclusive e.g a bottle of corona is £12.50
4. We were there the first 10 days in April and the entertainment was non existent, sometimes just the same singer with a guitar each night and very little space to sit.
This may be different when the full season kicks off but if you are looking for a place with plenty to do during the day and don’t mind the lack of service and variety of the food then definitely go to this hotel

I loved it aswell as my family, it’s a very nice hotel and would come back again. We’ve made some lifetime friends and had so much fun. Big thanks to Ali who works at the spa, if we had more time we would’ve went because of his great marketing and kindness. We had breakfast included and it was very nice but not a lot of options and some food are cold so you have to let them make it again, I wish that the breakfast was atleast until 11:30 or 12 for the people who have a hard time waking up.

room cleaning is very good and breakfast is delicious but we need to extend the time of the breakfast starting at 9 to 12. theme park was good. although the reception was bad because no one was answering while i was on the phone waiting.
thank you.

What a great place to stay.
A fantastic hotel that is designed to be child friendly. The water park is amazing, the park rides are superb fun, enjoyable and thrilling. My kids did the coaster 26 times in one day!
I'll write a full review with tips and tricks later as there is a lot to cover!

We had a brilliant week and loved all the attractions and facilities. It was the perfect family holiday with enough to keep the kids amused and busy for the whole week we spent there and there were so many lovely little touches that were just a delight.
The quality of the food was slightly lower than what you might expect from a five star hotel and there were a number of attractions that were closed or not working as expected during our stay but overall this did not detract from a fantastic kid orientated experience and we would recommend it to others.

Everything was perfect!! We were here for 1 Week with two children (6 and 2 years old) and it was amazing for us as a family. Everybody was so nice to us and our children, the food was great and the room service was very very good! The rooms are so nice and clean like the hole hotel and the hole area! Even at the pools and all over the park we felt very comfortable and nice treated! Not to forget the shows during the day and specially in the evening!!
Thank you very much to each person at the the land of legends!!

The hotel is kids heaven, my children loved it from the first minute we entered this place.
PROS:
- Family oriented hotel, everything is prepared for kids.
- Whole day activities, you need to check their weekly activities schedule
- Breakfast and dinner buffets are really good and it has different varieties.
- Connected to shopping avenue and theme parks.
- High secured place.
- Fill the hotel bracelet with money and that's it, no need to carry your wallet.
- Friendly staff
CONS:
- When you use the bracelet make sure they have deduct the same amount. The problem there is no receipt or mobile application you can track your transactions.
- The video games in the B floor needs maintenance, a bit old.

With its theme park and marvelous shopping area outside, this hotel is really the combination of many things and there are lot of activities. Food varieties were so many and above all everything was delicious. Staff were very kind and helpful. Kids enjoyed so much thanks to the hotel's gaming area, overall Disney-like decoration and performances for children.

So much to do. A hotel with children truly at the forefront. Food excellent. Very clean. Spacious room.
If I was to be extremely critical, things that need improvement our:
Somewhere to eat lunch at the water park as part of the AI, rather than keep walking back to the hotel. More places to get drinks as part of AI at the water park. I feel we spent a lot of our holiday walking. Water park water absolutely freezing. We only got to go to Rixos from 1.30 to 4.30. Wasn't nearly enough time. Snacky food to be available outside of meal times.

We stayed here with two young kids. They thoroughly enjoyed their stay at the hotel.
They loved indoor games, icecreams, candies, kids shows (Bubble show, Henna tattoos and kids disco).
Access to lands of legend theme park was an added benefit.
We enjoyed all the rides they had to offer.
There was no iron/iron board in the room but they offer laundry/ironing service.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to bring their kids to an all inclusive hotel for great environment and good food.
Thanks,
Abrar

We had a really great time at land of legends. The facilities are 5* from the room, to the services provided by staff and the food buffet.
We would like to thank all the staff during our stay for making us feel comfortable and relaxed and also make a special mention of Mustafa Oghuz ( guy with the bald head 😅) .
From when we arrived he made sure everything was put into place for my son as he has extreme allergies. He informed the head chef and gave us a allergy card so every time we went to the dining hall they were aware of his needs and prompt to provide food.
Overall its a great hotel for families. So many activities to keep them entertained.

I think the hotel is over priced and overhyped. It's good, but I wasn't blown away. It's an experience, but a very expensive one that I don't think is worth it.
The best part was the proximity to the theme park. Would probably be better to stay somewhere cheaper and just visit the land of legends for the day/evening since it's free entry expect you also want to visit the theme park.
The outside is stunning on approach. Its very grand. The hotel is clean and it has touches kids love like having a 'free' candy bar/Station in the reception area, lots of play areas and rides.
The rooms are designed to be theme like and attractive for kids. You also get items in the min bar for 'free'. The room we stayed in had a great view and overlooked the shopping area and parts of the theme park.
The restaurant has to be the best thing for me about this hotel. They had great food and variety. Well cooked and well presented. Loved that they had children sized table settings and it was designed with kids in mind. In the morning they had some characters like Marsha to greet the children.
The bars were just there nothing special. The drinks looked good but were nothing to write home about. 😁
The kids club was seriously underwhelming. It was just a space on a corridor/lobby/open space for kids to play in with some toys. They did have staff on hand who were friendly with the kids, but there wasn't a lot on offer. Colouring mostly throughout the day with few other activities thrown in. My daughter enjoyed the face painting. They also had a mini disco in the evenings.
Another great thing was being able to use the sister hotel which was a million miles better and more luxurious. They take you there by bus and bring you back. That hotel is amazing....I highly recommend going. The kids club, the food (they had an amazing restaurant and street food place). Make sure you ask about it at reception.

Positive
Polite and Friendly staff, nice and clean rooms, delicious food, especially the dessert. Snacks available until 12 midnight. Free Upgrade and late checkout. Many kids activities inside the hotel. Easy access to the park. Live music at night was amazing. also when i tripped and twisted my ankle they provided a wheelchair and a staff was assisting me to go anywhere. They even provided food in the room for free. I really appreciated that.
Negative
Need to make better communication between guest relation ant park admin. We couldn't know if the show is on or cancelled until we reached there and found it cancelled. Another show was told at 4:30 when we reached at 4:15 they told It is finished.
No indoor pool for kids. The only 1 available is very deep. indoor pool was very slippery and my child fell and hit her elbow and i was about to fall also. There was a blue rubber carpet in the center but not covering all areas once come near the pool.....!!!. I felt like a better action should be taken in such cases. I suggest that Buggy service be provided even by extracharge to visit the park.
Money exchange was not available in the hotel. It was walking distance from the hotel. Near the pharmacy.
Iron was not provided in the room

We are very satisfied staying in the hotel.
Many thanks for kid’s animation, for closing hotel area in the evening, very nice music. Thanks for the sweet presents.
Great service and tasty foods.
Things to improve - very cold small swimming pool. Would be nice to have 29-30 degrees.

The hotel was great. The biggest highlight was the location and food. The buffet was delicious. However, the hotel does not provide an iron in the room after requesting they refused to provide us after being angry they agreed to give us an iron for 20 mins only! We have stayed in many 5 star hotels all of them provide irons in the room or upon request. The restaurant should put labels on all the food at least with name better with ingredients people may be allergic to certain ingredients.

We booked this holiday last minute and with the uncertainty of the weather at this time of year thought an all inclusive with a waterpark and theme park would be a good option for our 3 children to keep them occupied. This hotel was also the most expensive of the Rixos’ but with the added bonus of the parks we thought it was worthwhile.
Firstly the hotel itself does not have its own pool. This may not seem that much of a big deal with a waterpark on site but be warned…there’s very little all inclusive once in the park. There’s only one bar in the water park where full all inclusive drinks are available and none in the theme park and no food included at all. As a hotel guest you’d assume you’d have some privilege but no! The park is extremely big and to go back to the buffet restaurant (the only all inclusive food available) everyday with a family was just not practical. The price for food in the parks was also expensive with no discount for the hotel guest.
The hotel had limited seating options further reduced due to rules on where you can drink alcohol. Yet smoking was permitted in both outdoor areas. There was no entertainment team or program as you’d expect with a 5* hotel with just one boat show which was the same every night. One positive is the kids arcade was completely free but it was all open plan along the main corridor of the hotel which was noisy and could be heard from our room on the second floor.
prior to arriving our friends were already at the hotel and checked if irons are provided and they were told no, we also checked on arrival and were advised it was a laundry service only. We brought our own along which we have done previously and never had any issues. It’s quite long winded so I’ll spare you the full tale but we were accused of using a prohibited item in the room and causing damage. We were never told irons were prohibited and whilst at the hotel we saw them left outside other rooms for guests to use, when we provided a photo of this after them claiming they categorically do not provide them they had no response.
The damage they were accusing us of could not be proven by them but they decided to lock us out of our room at 11:30pm with 3 young children till we paid a £200 damage fee or they would call the police. We repeatedly asked for proof and they pulled out some printed black and white photographs of our room and belongings which were taken whilst we were out. They told us various people had been and inspected the ‘damage’ and all agreed we’d done it. This I feel is a huge invasion of privacy, if they wanted to do this we should have been present. The whole experience was very upsetting for us all and with 3 young children and all our belongings in the room we felt we had no choice but to pay. We are fortunate we did have some funds to pay this but are very much aware some families would not. Especially when the ‘all inclusive’ you expect does not match up and you are spending beyond your holiday budget already.
They also like to bribe guests who leave negative reviews whilst still at the hotel. Our friend left one at the start of his holiday disappointed with the hotel and all inclusive facilities. He also received a WhatsApp and phone calls from reception who identified his review from his email address. He was bribed with circus tickets. When he still hadn’t deleted the review the next day they offered more tickets and to help him remove it! Sadly he did but his opinion of the hotel was unchanged.
Many people we spoke to at this hotel had the same feeling of disappointment and confusion. In contrast we visited the Rixos premium via the shuttle busses provided. The difference is apparent the minute you walk in. Staff are friendlier, the all inclusive is as you’d expect, buffet, a la carte, snack bar, coffee shop and Starbucks all included.
If you are considering the this hotel DON’T!!! Book the Rixos premium with the theme park and water park passes included and just make day trips on the busses provided at the hotel. Book this one and you’ll be sorely disappointed.

The Köprülü Canyon National Park is a stunning destination with beautiful natural scenery, including a wooded canyon and an ancient stone bridge. Visitors can enjoy outdoor activities such as trout fishing and whitewater rafting. The view from the bridge is breathtaking, but caution should be taken when climbing down to the rocks below. On the way back from the park, visitors have reported being offered delicious tea by friendly locals for just a few lira.
Beautiful, beautiful and beautiful again. I am not sure what more I should say. Place is great and long drive is worth it. You can also go for rafting. Man offered us 70€ which he dropped later to 40€ for a whole (2 people) we didn’t took it as it was cold morning and I am not big fan of getting near water but if you are interested why not. Check bridge as view is amazing also you can go down using stairs. Be careful if you decide just go down on rock as it’s easy to slip. If you drive back there is few lovely people who will offer you amazing tea for few lira.

Wonderful place. You can see it without taking a trip, but with a rented car. You can drive through the very narrow Roman bridge. Don’t be afraid, do it! It is easy :-) After you drive through the bridge there is a parking place where you can leave your car and see the canyon. There are also people offering rafting or jeep safari. Much cheaper than in a hotel.

Worth to visit. We took a look while going to our campsite. For the cars it’s a difficult passage very narrow and cars coming from the other way. So you need to be cautious but there are always tour agencies making it easier.

Must visit this while in Antalya or Manavgat

the place is magnificent where you can see the canyon and the high mountains around. it’s very beautiful and narrow but just any medium size car can pass over the bridge. you feel you are in the middle of nature with the clear waterfall water and green mountains.there are not any restrooms as you are in the middle of nature but there are lots of restaurants and cafes in the area.

We came here by our rented car and we did not fully understand why there were so many people stopping us and trying to give us a lift by their jeep cars. After going to Altinkaya Amphitheater we understood why they were there.. The road was narrow and full of serpentines with newer ending zigzags. If you are not an experienced driver please bear this in mind..
We love the mountain views and the extra excitement on the road!

We stayed at Rio Adventure (formerly Mavi Rafting) and had the time of our life. Our lodge was facing the ancient Köpürcay River so morning time was magical! The river produces fog and we got to see the turquoise water right in front of our balcony! There are many spots with views that are more beautiful than any word can describe :)

This place is absolutely stunning, the water is so clear the view is wonderful and is definitely a place to see if you are visiting turkey. We planned an activity day here where we did ziplining buggy riding and water rafting. I do recommend beforehand buying waterproof shoes (crocs are okay but no trainers or flipflops) as these are necessities and the place was selling them for £10. We found shoes beforehand in Antalya and bought them for £6. You also need gloves which were expensive and you’re likely to find this cheaper elsewhere. The ziplining was super fun and the people were very kind. During the rafting, it was around 3 hours and we did get a break where you could buy food and drinks. Although our guide did not speak fluent English, we still had a lot of fun and communicated with him well enough. One important tip is to bring a change of clothes. We did not think this through and did not bring any spare clothes and we were absolutely drenched afterwards. They served lunch as part of the activities and this was chicken skewers rice salad and bread and tasted nice. I hugely recommend this place and the activities and it was so much fun definitely a highlight of my trip.

A place that is very much worth visiting, it has fun water activities and at the same time it gives you a tour to get to know the area, the possibility of walking inside the canyon is difficult, I highly recommend it
