🕊️ The fabled Sea of Galilee is where Christians believe Jesus walked on water, calmed the storm, and made Peter and Andrew into “fishers of men.” It's where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. And it's where Jesus fed the masses with a few loaves and fish and gave his Sermon on the Mount.

The Sea of Galilee (Hebrew: יָם כִּנֶּרֶת, Judeo-Aramaic: יַמּא דטבריא, גִּנֵּיסַר, Arabic: بحيرة طبريا), also called Lake Tiberias, Kinneret or Kinnereth,[3] is a freshwater lake in Israel. It is the lowest freshwater lake on Earth and the second-lowest lake in the world (after the Dead Sea, a saltwater lake),[4] at levels between 215 metres (705 ft) and 209 metres (686 ft) below sea level.[5] It is approximately 53 km (33 mi) in circumference, about 21 km (13 mi) long, and 13 km (8.1 mi) wide. Its area is 166.7 km2 (64.4 sq mi) at its fullest, and its maximum depth is approximately 43 metres (141 ft).[6] The lake is fed partly by underground springs but its main source is the Jordan River, which flows through it from north to south and exits the lake at the Degania Dam.

We're a group of pilgrims from the Philippines🇵🇭.
We're happy to have experienced sailing on a wooden boat across the Sea of Galilee. A good and unforgettable experience for all of us. The skipper even taught us some dance steps while sailing. After the boat ride, all of us were given a certificate that we had survived the trip. It's one for the books. It's a good thing the weather cooperated with us, so sailing was a breeze.

The Umayyad Mosque in Damascus is a significant cultural and historical site. It features an impressive prayer hall, intricate ancient mosaics, and a shrine dedicated to John the Baptist. The mosque is also known for being a royal burial site. Visitors can appreciate its architectural beauty and religious significance. Great history and beautiful design. One of the most popular and important mosques in syria and the arab word.

This place can be over crowded and safety measures for corona are not taking place well.

This is such a different, beautiful mosque with a long history - a mix of Persian and Ottoman detailing, so quite different from the blue ceramic tiling you see in other mosques. The courtyard and minaret are breathtaking. The inside is very spacious as well and can accommodate lots of visitors and prayers. Females are given brown cloaks to wear.

Tiberias is a city situated on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee in Israel. The Old City contains significant Jewish and Christian pilgrimage sites, such as Abulafia Synagogue and Tomb of Maimonides. Along the waterfront, visitors can find a marina, fish market, and Yigal Allon Promenade lined with restaurants. Hamat Tiberias National Park is located south of the city and boasts mineral hot springs dating back to ancient times.
It's almost certain that Jesus taught in the 1st century synagogue that's been excavated here. The new chapel on site is wonderful, with an atrium dedicated to women, beautiful mosaics, and a great painting in the lower room of the woman receiving healing by touching Jesus' cloak.

It’s always a grace to come to these places and this one is especially precious as there has been so much invested into the archeological sight as well as into the new buildings. The church is especially stunning and build and created in stunning art and excellence. It is absolutely worth it going there and seeing and experiencing it first hand!

The # 1 most inspiring place in the Holy Land to me. This is the synagogue that Mary Magdalene met Jesus of Nazareth (most likely, almost for certain). It was covered with mud from about 100 A.D. to 2009 A.D. Jesus taught here. Jesus walked on these tiles. If you search for “magdalen synagogue discovered” you can read all about it.

Awesome place to stay at. The rooms are spacious with excellent bathrooms. View sight on premises are so nice. Very relaxing quiet place. Peaceful. Buffet is always fresh. Has its own archeological site. Very chill cool spot. It’s a pilgrimage housing but they are very respectful and will not infringe on anyone’s beliefs or practices. Highly recommend it.

The Church of Annunciation is a modernist, Franciscan-run Roman Catholic basilica built in 1969 on the site where many believe the Annunciation took place. It dominates the Old City skyline with its lantern-topped cupola and stands on what many Christians believe to be Mary's home. Visitors can walk inside for free and attend mass by checking schedules within the facilities, making it an ideal destination for those interested in Jesus, Mary, and Joseph history.
Beautiful, amazing, spiritual and peaceful place! As a Catholic being able to visit the place where The annunciation happened to the Virgin Mary was a simply wonderful and religious experience. The church is beautiful, on the exterior you can see images of the Virgin Mary for all different countries, worth to enjoy each one of them.

One of the most famous and touristic place in Nazareth.
An entrance is free but be careful and wear clothes that cover your shoulders and knees at least.
You can find a gallery with frescoes from different countries. Also basilica is open for visiting.
Unfortunately the Museum on the territory was closed.
Good for visit.

In my opinion, one of the most impressive and amazing churches in the world. The visit to the Church of the Annunciation is powerful and interesting, the structure is amazing. The church was established at the site where, according to one tradition, the Annunciation took place. The church has a variety of works of art in different styles from all over the world.

One can light up an electric candle 🕯in this church - I really liked this idea as I believe that it is more friendly to the environment.
Another thing that I liked is an alley with the paintings and mosaics to the church from all over the world 🌎 One can find donations from the South America, India, and my homeland Ukraine 🇺🇦 It feels really good to find things related to your country when you are that far from it, especially when your country is under attack from the terrorist russian state.
If you plan your visit in advance, I also recommend to bring coins and cash for the donations to support the church.

Beautiful place in the center of Nazareth, open untill 5pm and free to visit. Inside you can see very colorful windows and many latin inscriptions. The thing i liked more was the collection of Maria portrait from all over the world. I strongly recommend to visit it and maybe take some pictures at night, because with all the lights on it's amazing.

Basilica of the Annunciation Nazareth, also known as The Catholic Church of the Annunciation, is the most impressive and spectacular site in the city and is considered to be one of the most holy churches for Christianity.
Basilica of the Annunciation an outstanding building in the center of town, is built where it’s believed the house the Virgin Mary was.
On the lower level is the most holy place – Mary’s cave, the cave in which, according to the Catholic-Christian tradition, Mary was visited by Archangel Gabriel and told her she is destined to carry Jesus in her womb.

What a beautiful place to get connected with some of the Jesus, Mary, and Joseph history. This place is a must for every person reaching for a great historical destination in Nazaret. What an adoring site. To have that preserve reminds us how grateful we should be to see history which changed the of Billions. Love the mosaic from different parts of the world.
Robert Sedillo — Google review
The city around it seems a bit chaotic and dirty, but don't let that discourage you from visiting the basilica itself.
The basilica is rather modern, built in the 60s, with beautiful mosaics and paintings of the Virgin Mary decorating the church's walls. It's a stunning sight to behold, and I was impressed by the attention to detail in the artwork.
But the most interesting thing about the basilica is on the lower floor. Here, there is a preserved cave where Angel Gabriel supposedly told Mary she was going to be pregnant with Jesus. It's one of the few places that keeps the original ruins of the first century, and that's well worth a visit.
Samuel Leça — Google review
There was a mix from different Cristian churches, orthodox, catholic etc and some of them was really strange. The way it was built is also strange. Although the building from outside is not ugly. I hope this is not the best church in Nazareth but our guide show to us only this.

The church was built at where angel Gabriel announced to Virgin Mary that she would be pregnant and give birth to baby Jesus. And the town of Nazareth is where Jesus grew up. Beautiful church. 30% of Nazareth population is Christian.

Al-Bishara St 12, Nazareth, Israel
I'll never travel to Pamukkale without this trip planner again
The Centre International Marie de Nazareth is a diverse cultural complex located near the Basilica of the Annunciation that focuses on fostering relationships and dialogue among Christians and other religions. This Roman Catholic-run venue offers an archaeological site, gardens with Biblical flora, and a cafe with stunning 360-degree views of Nazareth. Visitors can explore in situ ruins dating back to the First Temple period in the basement while enjoying panoramic vistas from the rooftop garden.
Go here! Visiting the center will add to your experience of Nazareth. The best part: the very friendly and smart receptionist guy who will tell you about the ruins and architecture of ancient Nazareth. The 4 videos about the story of Mary and Jesus are interesting if you don't yet know the story. Otherwise you will not learn anything new. The view from the roof terrace is very nice. A good quiet spot to enjoy the sun for a few moments. Entrance fee is donation based.

This is a wonderful, wonderful place to visit in Nazareth. A short walk from the Roman Catholic basilica of the Annuciation of Mary it has wonderful people and a beautiful movie experience that takes you through the life of Jesus and Mary in Nazareth. This center also sits on top of ruins of what a typical house may have looked like back in Jesus' day. You will not regret stopping in to say hi and learning even more about Jesus and Mary.

Very interesting and worthwhile place to visit in Spring or Fall. Here's some background:
When the State of Israel was declared in 1948 the Hula valley was a swamp plagued by malaria.
In 1951 an extensive engineering project drained the swamp in order to enable agriculture. The swamp became a flourishing region with settlements, orchards, fish ponds and other crops.
In 1995 1,000 dunams of land in the Hula valley was reflooded.
The valley is located on the Syrian-African rift and today is visited by 500 million birds of 390 species in spring and fall. You can see the birds there, as they migrate from Europe to Africa and back, 15,000 of the 35,000 cranes spend the winter in the Hula park. This has made the area an internationally acclaimed area for bird watchers.
The nature reserve is named after the Hebrew word for the sea bulrush found here, Agamon Hahula. This is the nothernmost point in the world where they're located.
In addition to the birds there are interesting plants and animals. I saw a Coypu (Natria)- semi acquatic rodent.
Some endangered species have been reintroduced.
Entrance to the Hula Agamon is free. There is a 10km paved trail that goes around the area.
Bicycles and golf carts are available for hire, and there are also guided tours.
I knew that the main migration season was over when I dragged myself out of bed on a gray and dreary day to drive up North to the Agamon Hahula.
Upon arrival it transpired that the next guided tour would be in 3 hours time and we didn't want to wait. We opted to hike the trail and I am pleased that we did because we would have missed some of the things we saw like the Ibis and Coypu. We heard a lot of birds and saw some, particularly cranes and Hoepoe birds. I am sure there are many more in migration season. We found an abundance of fruit like mulberries and figs. As we reached our car after the hike it started to rain!

The Old City
Sights & Landmarks
Points of Interest & Landmarks
The vibrant Old City is a maze of narrow, pedestrian-only lanes filled with old synagogues, and ancient houses whose blue doors and windows indicate the locals' Kabbalistic beliefs. Galleries and workshops line the streets of the Artists' Quarter, alongside wine cellars and kosher restaurants. Close by, the Khan of the White Donkey cultural center hosts yoga classes and weekly concerts in a restored 1300s building.
The Hermon Stream Nature Reserve, a historic site in Israel, boasts the largest waterfall in the country and is surrounded by lush vegetation. It offers an extensive network of hiking trails with carefully planned rest areas and picturesque spots for photography. The reserve contains a temple dedicated to Pan, the Greek god of nature dating back to Roman times. Its popularity lies not only in its beauty but also in its unique features such as gushing springs and shaded streams.
It's such a great spot to visit. Tucked away in a tiny valley is a huge rushing river with falls! The trail along the river from the falls is a must-see as well.make sure you continue past the falls and follow the river downstream for some amazing sights.
Charles Pietracupa — Google review

Absolutely stunning walk - nature at its best. I walked the red path (shortest and easiest, because I had an elderly companion with poor knees), but there are a number of paths to take, ranging from "easy" (note: easy for young Israelis, not those with mobility issues - there is still quite a bit of hiking, albeit with steps) to much more difficult.
I'm looking forward to going back.
Scott Rick — Google review
Awesome hike down to the cascade followed by the waterfall. Gets cooler and more shade as you go down. Would recommend not doing this at peak sun. Trail is easy for anyone and takes about 45 mins at a slow pace

You must see it if you are in Israel. This is a place central to the teachings of the New Testament. The Bible and Jesus'words will come alive when you get there.
Carla Lowe — Google review
We went through the short way, and we visited the cave of the old greek God's'Pan'. and then we walked inside the palace, which had six storage rooms.
In between, there was a bakery.
After that, we used the car to see the waterfall and kept walking along the waterfall for almost 40 minutes, and it included approximately 400 stars. It is not that easy for people with physical disabilities and for parents with babies.
Lastly, you are not allowed to bring pets or to start a fire.
Ruba Egbaria — Google review
Beautiful parks setting. Places to picnic. Unique location of a cave shrine to the Greek god Pan.
It's fascinating that Jesus chose this place to tell his disciples who He was, that he would build His church on "this rock", meaning Himself as Jesus, and the gates of hell would not prevail against it. As such, the pagan people beloved at that time that this location was an entrance to hades because of the seemingly bottomless pool of water in Pan's cave.
Sherri Yoder — Google review
Water springs that feed the Jordan River here made this the important ancient city of Caesarea Philippi, the place where Jesus journeyed with his disciples on his way to Mt Hermon, the place of transfiguration, that cemented in the memory of Peter and John and James, the divine nature of Jesus Christ.

The beauty of the north in all its glory, amazing scenery, fresh cool water, a dazzling waterfall, very well preserved, rich historical background, and many more things to enjoy...

But it needs some explanation.
This reserve is actually 2 sites (same ticket and entrance fee): the Stream and Waterfall, and the Archeological site a few minutes drive from there.
This one is the one with the Archeological findings and the path in the woods.
It is interesting as well as beautiful because it includes this 45 minute walk along the stream and shows some other surprises
The 2nd site is the Waterfall site.
It has a wooden path which goes along the stream and which is quite comparable to the Austrian Liechtensteinklamm at Alpendorf (near Salzburg) or Canyon Vintgar in Slovenia, just shorter, around 20 minutes.
But absolutely impressive in winter of course during the rainy season.
However in Summer it still is beautiful...and refreshing.
On your way to the stream you'll find beautiful flowers and also...but just look at the pictures.
Bottom line, a Must.

love the place! I would recommend coming sometime in early spring because then all the flowers bloom and its just really beautiful! There are several places to take pictures and breaks, and the way the hike is built is immaculate. In conclusion, 5/5 would totally go again!
Archaeological site of ancient city, first occupied in neolithic era, with restored Bronze Age gate.
Great family nature hike. You can choose between the short route (45 minutes) or the long trail (110 minutes).

There is a short and a long route. Routes are circular. Both run along the shade. Perfect for a hot day.
Bring plenty of water, a hat and comfortable shoes.
In addition to the water, there is also an ancient part of the city that has been preserved and a lookout view.
There is a souvenir shop at the entrance to the park.

Loved this spot! It is so full of amazing natural beauty and easy to navigate. The trails could be a little rough when the water is up, but so amazing to explore and discover the history here.

Amazing place that has such a rich history. Gives good insight to how Old Testament cities were built. The fact that there is a 4,000 year old structure still there that Abraham would have visited is amazing alone. A must see for anyone on a pilgrimage trip.

Excellent place for hot days.
There are many walk paths at the reserve.
Park of the way is good for strollers and little kids.
There is a shallow pool for the kids.

Another great place that proves that the Scripture is true. The temple and the altar are mentioned in the book of Kings in the Bible. Read 2Kings 10 and 2 Chronicles 13 before you go.
Carla Lowe — Google review
This is more than just a nature reserve. Yes, it has a walk through a park area with beautiful scenery and a flowing stream, but it is much more than that! This site contains several important archeological finds. It has walls and remains of a city and settlement that date to more than 1,000 BC in the nation of Israel. They have uncovered the temple built by King Jeroboam after the kingdom was divided. Walls, tombs, houses, places of worship and much more have been discovered, giving more validity to the accurate history recorded in the Old Testament. And you can walk through those ancient streets! They also have uncovered a gate to a city which dates around 2,000 BC to the time of the Canaanites who lived there before Israel. This is an incredible walk through time and history in a beautiful setting! Well worth a visit!

This is an "A" site in Israel. It's mentioned in the Hebrew Bible and is the northernmost city of the old kingdom of Israel.
Here, you'll be amazed to find the recently discovered (and restored) gate at Dan.
This was were Israel's Golden Calfs was erected by Jeroboam and was worshipped by the people.

This is an incredible nature park that follows one of the tributaries to the Jordan river. Lots of history here as the tribe of Dan moved north against the law and there are remnants of a temple and an ancient gate. Beautiful walking trails through nature along a fast flowing river
Beit ed-Dine, also known as Btaddine, is a charming small town and the administrative capital of the Chouf District in Lebanon. Situated 45 kilometers southeast of Beirut, it is separated from the town of Deir el-Qamar by a steep valley. Visitors can explore nearby attractions such as Deir el Kamar and Beiteddine towns, the Barouk cedar reserve, and other southern towns like Saida.
The Jeita Grotto is a remarkable natural attraction in Lebanon, featuring two limestone caves with stunning stalactites and illuminated for optimal viewing. Visitors can enjoy a cable car ride, mini train ride, and boat ride through the lower grotto as part of their admission fee. The site also boasts gift shops and a restaurant. The cost to visit is 18,150 Lebanese pounds or roughly USD12/NZD16.50.
Of course this place is one of the top sightseeing destinations in Lebanon. The place is so great. It is not allowed to take the mobile inside the place to avoid photos as the flash light affects the cave badly. The place is so unique Sob7an Allah and for me, it looked like a coral reef. But unfortunately, there was no option at that time for taking the boat trip inside it, aka (lower grotto). There is a train that takes you from the external gate to the cave’s gate.
Mohga Tawfik — Google review
An amazing destination and activity to do with friends and family. There are several things to do but sadly the cable car is out if work right now due to the situation. Still you can enjoy a walk in the upper cave and a quick boat ride in the lower one which are both great experiences. Truly the prettiest cave in Lebanon so far.
Mike Aoun — Google review
Amazing and unforgettable experience ! There are two access points, one is a walk through the grotto and the other is a short electric-motored boat tour in the grotto. It is definitely worth it to see both! There is a little train car that takes you to each point and brings you back. The staff were very helpful and even very happy to give a history talk of the grotto. The only unfortunate is that you cannot take your mobile for photos but I understand that the flash can cause effects and there are safety reasons behind this. True wonder of the world !
Anthony — Google review
Amazing experience. Truly one of the wonders of the world! The staff is nice enough to allow for photos since new phones don’t use flash!
This place restores my love for the earth and its magical beauty!
We were fortunate enough to do the upper and lower grotto.

During my first visit to Jeita Grotto in Lebanon, I was captivated by its unique natural beauty. Upon entering the cave, I was transported into a magical world of intricate rock formations. The ceiling adorned with geological landscapes created a truly one-of-a-kind atmosphere.
Navigating through narrow tunnels and reaching spacious chambers, I witnessed shimmering rock formations in their natural hues. The tranquility inside the cave, accompanied by the gentle sounds of water, turned the visit into a soothing and enchanting experience.
I marveled at the internal lakes reflecting the beauty of the surrounding rocks. The diverse topography added an exploratory aspect, allowing me to wander through different angles and discover the beauty of various rock shapes.
In summary, Jeita Grotto was a charming and delightful experience, blending natural beauty with the mystery that surrounds it, making it one of Lebanon's unique and stunning destinations.
mohammed zuhair fadhil — Google review
Beautiful caves, but slightly spoilt by the number of tourist that refused to follow the no photos, and wear mask instructions. Why do people have to be so self entitled?
Also the cable car to get up the the Upper Grotto is out of service (looks permanent), and the lower grotto is closed (likewise).
They did however have an old '4D' ride in the car park for sale...
And the car park attendant was absolutely lovely, told us that because we are Australians we can just pay how ever much we feel is reasonable.
We paid USD $2....

It’s 10 km long, passing under 6 villages, one of the longest stalactites in the world measuring 8.2 m is located in the upper grotto.

Jeita Grotto is a truly spectacular sight. The two cave systems are incredibly beautiful, with stunning stalactites and stalagmites. The tour is well-organized and informative, and the guides are friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Jeita Grotto to anyone visiting Lebanon.

Stunning place but very cheap the entrance fees is 135.000 LBP which is 1.5$. The entrance fees should be minimum 15$ for such an amazing place. People are enjoying the beauty of Lebanon without paying anything. We visited the upper grotto and the second one by boat. We had so much fun and we went with the train, which my daughter loved it. Recommended place for family
melissa araigy — Google review
I have been there 2 times. The caves are really impressive and beautiful located on a mountain. Especially the second cave offers a boat experience. I give 3 stars because of the rude staff, and because of the price of 9 dollars which in my opinion are too much for what it offers, as it's really touristic and crowded. They don't organise small groups, as a result there are so many people in the cave at the same time, which could be also dangerous for the caves' habitat. You also have to leave your phone or camera outside the caves in lockers.
Fenia Pliatsika — Google review
At the upper grotto we had visit on foot with an exciting adventure over a distance of some 700 m from the cave’s total length of 2200 m, spectacular beauty of the extraordinary amazing limestone formations.
At the lower grotto, we had a short dreamy boat trip over a distance of some 400 m inside the cave. In some places the cave is so low that we had to duck our heads in the boat.
I would highly recommend this place

Jeita Grotto is a nice location, upper grotto is actually very beautiful and scary at the same time😂😂. Unfortunately u was not able to enter lower grotto cause of the water overflowing but I’m sure it’s more beautiful than upper grotto

This was one of the coolest places I’ve been to. The caves were magnificent, stalactites and stalagmites on full display, and the boat ride through the grotto was amazing. Be warned phones not allowed inside the grotto (but we managed to sneak a few photos!). You have to come here for a visit definitely!!
Akinbo Akin-Olugbade — Google review
It was a beautiful experience. Just that we were not allowed to take pictures inside the caves. But it was a discovery. Inside the upper cave is the 3rd longest stalactite in the world

Superb attraction of one of the most awesome limestone caves in the world. While Jeita Grotto is made up of two interconnected limestone caves spanning nine kilometres, not all portions of the Grotto are opened. Walking through the Grotto would require about an hour thereabout, the cool temperature inside made the walk not particularly strenuous.

It is a great blend of modern worship and older hymns, as well as in depth preaching and teaching every Sunday. Very special event every 22nd of the month. This really is the crowning jewel of any visit to Lebanon. A must visit. May saint Charbel bless you all.

Beirut Souks is a popular shopping mall with specialty shops and eateries, as well as a cinema, arcade, and children's museum. It lies in the heart of the city and offers tourists a variety of souvenirs to buy. The souk is particularly interesting for its luxury brands, but visitors should also check out the Souk al Ahad for unique items.
One of our best souks in Lebanon. Too bad all the places are closed, however, for the holidays, they are making nice events with a cute decoration (have been the same ever since I remember). Another thing was that I went to check the decoration, however, their light was turned off.

Nice events during the holidays with decorations all over the souks. Large varieties of shops.

Beautifully designed and buildings and shops are contemporary modern architecture. Unfortunately, it’s underused and majority of the shops and outlets are not let. Those which are let are designers outlets, watches, clothes, and other expensive goods. There’s nothing much for ordinary citizens apart from Starbucks and Cinema City!

Really clean place. Shopping is targeted towards the wealthier people but its still a nice place for a stroll or go the movies. Unfortunately, multiple protests in the past have left this area a bit deserted which is why I had to give it 4 instead of 5 stars

It's a unique place which offers visitors delight and enchantment all the time. Beautiful and sophisticated shops, cafes and restaurants. Modern and old refurbished buildings in harmony by the soul.
Helena Barone — Google review
This area is a bit sad as it has all been beautifully restored but the shops are all high end expensive places. The souks should be for everyone, not just the rich. Also, lots of the cafes and restaurants near the clock tower seem to have closed leaving the area a bit lifeless. The constant presence of military personnel in some parts can be a bit intimidating too. The religious buildings and archaeological ruins are interesting.

Once devastated by the Beirut explosion the Beirut souks are coming back to life with street markets and the stores opening up again. They have a gym and some branded stores that are opening up again and hopefully they will be back to normal in the near future. The do have a signature spinneys in the souks that has a lot of imported items.
This rooftop spot in Beirut is my go-to for a chill-out. With an incredible view of the sea, the sunset, and the skyline, it's truly a treat. The place is surrounded by nature and the service is good. Don't miss out on their cocktails, appetizers, and burgers - they're a must-try!

My new favorite place for drinks! Another venue by the famous elefteriades, but shockingly with very affordable prices in the middle of downtown Beirut. The outdoor venue is located on the rooftop of the marina yacht club, and overlooks the Zaytouna bay, the mediterranean, and the mountains to the North. The terrace is very large and includes seating areas with couches as well as grass lawns with beanbag chairs. NB. Did not try the food, rating is only for drinks, service and atmosphere.
Sylvio Hleiss — Google review
Definitely gets a 6 stars in terms of location and view. I also loved the concept which is a public park with food stations. Yes these guys have created a park on top of the building and you can sit wherever you want and order food and drinks. They even have comfortable bean bags to lay down on the grass while you enjoy your food. The place is huge! The bar is also beautiful with the lighting and the bottles. What I loved the most is the music which is not loud like a roof top restaurant or lounge. They play beautiful Latin music softlynsonyou can actually have a decent conversation. The choice of food is somewhat limited but the place gets a five stars anyhow. As for the view, judge by yourself from the pictures

It was surely an amazing piece of nature but the waterfall ways were filled with mass of concrete and dozens of restaurants and vendors are now sorounding the water. Some restaurants placed their tables right into the water so you can cool yourself both drinking and having your feet in icy water. The overall concept is kinda vulgar, the trash around isnt being collected properly so you dont want to walk away from the main routes. The decoration of some places is quite absurd... combining everything... Anyway it was a nice walk and we cooled ourselves after superhot Antakya.

Amazing place, the food and Nargila is not that good there, you can have a table in the cold water, near the water falls and enjoy the nature, there is also a small market were you can buy some good gifts , the place there is full of cars especially in the weekends you give your car to someone to park it for you and then continue walking to the cafes. The Church of St Pierre is a significant historical site located in Antakya, Turkey. Carved into the side of Mt. Staurin and dating back to 1100 CE, it is one of the world's first cave churches and holds great importance in Christianity. It is believed that St. Pierre held the first religious meeting here to spread Christianity, making it a center of Catholicism and a pilgrimage site for Christians. The church also houses a museum and offers stunning views of the city.
Very old and historical church. Located on the hill so you have to walk to the top. The access if very easy. Actually, the inside is just a cave. I think the attractiveness is the rich-history behind this building.
Muhammad Luthfi — Google review
Entrance fee currently the equivalent in TL of €8 but free if you have a museum card.
To be honest there's not a lot to see. Ten minutes max, which is disappointing given the significant impact of the Antiochean church in early church history.

This place, although is small, should be visited for the historical value that it has. As the first church in the world, and another historical site in a city that dates back to the first civilised city-states of the world. It is better to have the museum card as it gives access to all museums and historical sites of Turkey for 1 year.
W Rose Gac — Google review
The church is a small hall in the mountain. You need to know a bit of history and significance of the place to enjoy the atmosphere, have a look at the city view and tolerate the groups of religious tourists ( not to mention a rather expensive entry fee)
Take your time to go around the church (opposite direction of the main entrance). You shall find an amazing number of tunnels dug in the mountains and the figure carved into the mountain. Unfortunately, the path is not marked and cleaned, but it is definitely part of the amazing history where people had to prepare escape ways to flee religious persecution.

The Hatay Archeology Museum is a must-visit attraction, showcasing a remarkable collection of local artifacts from ancient times. The museum boasts an extensive display of Roman and Byzantine mosaics, depicting nature and human life across different periods. Visitors are captivated by the conceptualized rooms and sections, setting it apart from other Turkish museums.

The Stone Bridge was constructed around 200 A.D. and spans the Seyhan River. It remained open to traffic until 2007 and is still standing today. The bridge exhibits a simplistic yet stunning design, in contrast to modern bridges. On the opposite side of the bridge lies the old town and Ataturk museum, which are worth exploring. There are also several charming cafes and ice cream shops nearby, as well as street vendors selling various items like prayer beads and underwear.
Lovely little cafes and ice cream places about. Couple of buskers added to the atmosphere.Lots of trees so could enjoy the morning sitting in the shade with a cup of tea!

This bridge is a historical object. It's just for walking now, also there’s nice views especially in the dark time.

The bridge still stands after all these years, it’s simple but beautifully constructed, unlike those ugly bridges today. On the opposite site of the bridge, take sometime to walk the old town and the Ataturk museum.

It’s a lovely classic bridge. Make sure to walk under it in the park to get the perfect photo.

A beautiful, well-preserved bridge. You can stroll to the other end and back, just as people have done for many hundreds of years. A view of the huge mosque to the north makes for a nice view. There's not too much to do at the bridge, so I'd recommend next heading towards that mosque through the riverside park on the west bank there, as the nice part of town is in that direction. Though beware of aggressive beggars and peddlers at the mosque.

The Sabanci Merkez Mosque in Adana is a grand structure that was opened in 1998. It boasts an Ottoman-style interior and is covered entirely in luxurious marble and gold leaf. With six minarets and a towering central dome that reaches 54 meters high, it can house up to 28,500 worshippers. This impressive mosque, built by philanthropist Sakip Sabanci, is the largest between Istanbul and Saudi Arabia.
This is one of the greatest and beautiful mosque what I had ever seen! It's the second largest mosque in Turkey. There’re amazing views all around and exciting views inside.

If you are coming to the Mosque after seeing Taş köprü there is shortcut, an underground passage to the mosque but the passage stinks with urine and filth. You can make a bigger loop and pass through a traffic lights which are a bit far. But if you go through the underground passage the smell is terrible. Looks like an abandoned place. If you can bear the smell you can pass through it fast and reach the beautiful mosque that is worth visiting. I think municipal authorities should pay attention to this.

Tarsus Waterfall, located in Mersin, Turkey, is a popular tourist spot known for its stunning natural beauty. The waterfall was formed when the Berdan Stream changed its course in the 5th century, creating an impressive cascade that attracts visitors with its enthusiastic appearance, especially in spring. Surrounded by dense forests and lush vegetation, the waterfall offers public viewing platforms and restaurant options where visitors can enjoy a bite amidst the fragrant jasmines and tranquil waters.
Tarsus is a great place to visit, and the waterfall's are great, but could do with a tidy up!
MarZar — Google review
We visited here as part of our trip to Tarsus and really enjoyed it. Access is through a restaurant, although we did not stop to eat. Entrance is completely free as is the large car park.
The waterfall is wide and beautiful, but the part we liked the most was the friendly atmosphere from the locals.
There are picnic tables set up around the viewing site and they were packed with local people coming here to have a picnic breakfast, and were also singing and dancing, in fact they invited us to share their breakfast and dance with them.
There is a duck pond outside with a waterfall which also connects to the main falls. We'll worth going and bring a picnic!

The Varda Viaduct is an impressive architectural marvel characterized by its soaring structure and dramatic arches. It gained popularity after its appearance in the James Bond movie "Skyfall". Though worth a visit, drivers should be aware that there is only one passage through the tunnel, which is a one-way road. Visitors are advised to come early in the morning when it's less busy as photo taking spots can be dangerous.

Safety warning. You need to drive carefully to this place, the road is narrow, after driving for an hour in a narrow road you will be reaching a cafe where you can rest and enjoy the view of the bridge. Only sandwiches and drinks, no kebap lol. We left the area and had our nice grilled sucuk at ( Tekir Zirve Restaurant), located on the top of the mountain where the view is also amazing.

Only worth visiting if you are driving close by. I didn't really see the draw here. Nice bridge, but way too many other things to see if your time is limited like mine was on vacation. Not easy to get to either. Seems most people go here just because it was in a James Bond movie. Skip it!

This a beautiful shopping center with lots of cafes and an amusement park. The yachts and shops give the impression of luxury, but the prices are affordable. I like the vibe of the place. Unfortunately, there was garbage (plastics) floating in the water, and I can't understand why people ignore the garbage problem. Pretty cool natural attraction! Really crazy to see such big waterfalls gushing out from the sides of cliffs. My kids loved being able to walk the little paths on the other side of the river. Nice to have a small cafe to but ice cream, snacks or hot drinks.
Unfortunately the largest waterfalls don't really have good access. You see them as you drive in, but there is no parking near them, so you have to walk back to view them from the road. Also the roads get a little windy going back in there, so if you get car sick, be prepared!

The Mevlana Museum in Konya is a pilgrimage center for Muslims and non-Muslims alike, and features the tomb of Celaleddin Rumi, who gave the world the whirling dervishes. The building's fluted dome of turquoise tiles is one of Turkey's most distinctive sights.
This museum was absolutely breathtaking!! Everything from the many small exhibits showing artifacts of what people wore, used and made to the actual architecture of the inside and outside of the museum itself was delightful to the eyes! The Mevlana Museum is a great place to stop if you’re in the area. If you practise Islam then it is probably a must; especially for those who study Sufism as this museum houses the orders founder. Much of the building is a kind of mausoleum dedicated to him. There is also a lot of information about Sufism and how it’s practiced. One of the key staples of Sufism was developing excellent calligraphy skills and they hand copied a lot of books. You can see many originals here.

A fascinating place for those interested in Islamic culture. The museum features exhibits in Sufi cells, many cultural artifacts, and, obviously, the tomb of Rumi. This attraction is free and was very crowded when we visited. No special clothing is required, but most people wore respectful garb.

The museum is excellent, but it would significantly benefit from providing guided tours for a more enriching experience. Currently, there are insufficient explanations, signs, and introductions, making it difficult for foreign tourists like myself to fully understand many exhibits. Offering guided tours could greatly enhance visitors' comprehension and enjoyment of the museum.

750 years, an amazing spiritual man graced our world. The presence of Mevlana Celaleddin is still available to those with an open heart.
But... it would be nicer if a strict silence was enforced, no mobiles or chatting.
Anyway, I will continue to visit Mevlana at least once per year, more often if I can.
I usually buy some souvenirs from the museum shop, the somewhat higher prices are worthwhile for the quality of product and knowledgeable information of the staff plus a support to maintain Mevlana's resting place.

The Konya Tropical Butterfly Garden is a stunning attraction that showcases exotic plants and butterflies. The building itself is designed to resemble a butterfly and offers interactive children's programs as well as an insect museum. Visitors can admire the diverse range of butterflies that come in various shapes, sizes, and colors. However, it's important to note that the environment inside the garden is very humid due to its tropical climate, which may be uncomfortable for some visitors.
We really loved this incredible garden and recommend it to any family or colourful butterfly lovers or any traveller who has enough of chilly weather (28 c° inside).
The creatures seem to be treated very well regarding food and environment. Humans and insects feel good together and guards guarantee the good treatment of these protected wildlife treasures.
Congratulations !

This place is just amazing! The government invested a lot in this project. So many butterflies in the garden from all of the world. The building constructed in the shape of the butterfly too. Personnel was very nice and cooperative. Parking lot is big enough and free of charge. It was very humid inside, so I advise to wear a t-shirt or something light, to be able to remove warm clothes when entered into the building. A little cafe at the end of the tour is very good idea, the prices for coffee and other drinks were fine. You can buy souvenirs and various gifts too. Thus, I recommend to visit this garden, it will be more nice to come with kids of course. There is also a small cinema with funny cartoons about insect’s life. Should be interesting for kids as well. 👍

This place is a gem! At first I was reluctant to go only because in my head I was like “what’s so cool about a butterfly sancutary”, but boy was I wrong.
This place is a habitat that’s perfect for butterflies to thrive and flourish. The environment that they’re raised it humid and warm, but not excessive to the point where it’s not tolerable.
The butterflies themselves are absolutely majestic. They come in all different shapes, sizes, and colors. They import the cacoons from many different continents and raise them there. There are plenty of fruits, and greens for them to enjoy. The scenery itself is just beautiful.
If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend this place as not only is it cheap, but it’s well worth the time. You’ll have a wonderful photo shoot session in there.

Inside the sanctuary [butterfly museum] you will find that the environment is controlled. So the temperature stays at 26 degree cel. all the time. Its a wonderful place but don't hurt those beautiful living beings. There's a section for kids to learn about nature. Nature education is very essential for the future generation. Other things you will find out whenever you'll visit there.

One of the points in Konya you should absolutely see. The building was created as a butterflies house so the degree is around 28 but the humidity is high and a little boring and causes sweetness. Complaints: The tour is so short(25 min) and I have doubts that it is worth the charge(60 tl)((I guest helping butterflies keeping alive should be expensive). Another is that I saw generally some kinds of butterflies. Where are the other types?Nevertheless, you should see charming butterflies.

It is one of the best tourist attractions in Konya. You can watch different species of butterfly 🦋 at different stages.
Big glass and steel dome type structure is built to create tropical climate and suitable environment for butterfly.
Butterfly breeding is also done here. We can watch different stages of butterfly life. There is one section where dead butterflies are preserved to be showcased.
If you have time in Konya and you are not from a area of tropical climate you must visit this place.

Visited the garden with my wife. It was very entertaining, and we enjoyed our visit. The Garden was easy to access, on two levels. Data for butterflies was easy to read, in both Turkish and English. My only comment is the parking; as we mistakenly parked next to the nearby park. After walking around the Butterfly Garden, for about 200 meters, we discovered another car park, with easier access and taxi rank.

Went here with my family and it was such a fun experience for both the elderly and the kids. When going into the building, the temperature and humidity are quite high due to the living conditions of the butterflies, so be aware of that. When going inside pictures in front of a green screen can be taken which you can buy later with different backgrounds (4 pieces = 100₺). The environment and butterflies were beautiful and definitely an once in a lifetime experience
