(Translated by Google) We made a special trip to the village of Veshenskaya to visit the Sholokhov Museum. This is the house in which the writer and his wife lived until his death; in the courtyard of the house on the banks of the Don there is the grave of Sholokhov and his wife. The house itself is large, bright, but not all rooms are open to visitors. A tour with a guide costs 350 rubles (house, summer kitchen, garage and garden). The only thing I didn’t like was that the guide spoke rather dryly, without interesting details. In this village it is worth visiting the embankment, where the sculpture of Aksinya and Gregory from “Quiet Don” is located, the museum of Cossack life and the house-museum in which the writer lived when he came to Veshenskaya, until he settled here completely.

A beautiful park in the style of Russian fairy tales with fortresses and sculptures of fairy-tale heroes. There is a takeaway, two restaurants and a terrarium. We were there in January. It was cold and slippery. Definetly warm time it's better to visit there.

This is the best park I've ever seen. I'm not kidding. I've seen a lot in Europe and America. It's literary located in the middle of nowhere, but everything is made with such love to every single detail that you start to believe in what you see. We were not expecting anything and were just passing M4 highway from Moscow to Rostov-on-Don. But decided to have a small stop to see what's in there. And stayed for 3 hours just wandering around that beautiful place. If you ever find yourself passing M4 highway, just make a stop there. You'll be amazed.

Ascension Cathedral (Вознесенский собор) is a Russian Orthodox church in Novocherkassk, Rostov Oblast, Russia. It used to be one of the largest churches of the Russian Empire and the main church of the Don Host Province. The five-domed building, which stands 75 meters tall, is a notable example of the Russian Neo-Byzantine architecture. It was erected between 1891 and 1904 on the site of an earlier church. The first church on the site was built to Luigi Rusca's designs.
This cathedral is the most magnificent place I have ever seen. I've been to many places and I would say that this place is worth to visit. At leas once in your life time. You can feel those times, you can touch the Cossacks history.

H2O is a spacious indoor water park that offers a range of pools, slides, and sauna baths with unique themes. It is an ideal destination for families looking to spend at least five hours of pure enjoyment. The aquapark is divided into three sections, each offering its own attractions. The first section includes various types of water activities such as slides, a kids' water playground, and jacuzzis.
Wonderful place for spending here at least 5 hours for full joy. Aquapark is subdivided into three parts. Common part with all kinds of water attracts (slides..., kids water playground, jacuzzi), second part is about thermo - water of different temperatures, different saunas, waterfalls and wonderful tunnel of water circulation. Third part is on the roof on open air. Wonderfull views of city there, big swimming pools and different kinds of sauna (worldwide) as well as cafe is here. Price might be different due to the time you are ready to spend there and the day as well (weekends are costly). All the times I have been there I was fully happy and left H2O fully satisfied.

The Kamennaya Lestnitsa, a famous historical staircase, is an iconic monument with great historical significance. This renowned architectural marvel has stood the test of time and witnessed numerous significant events throughout history. Constructed using durable materials, this ancient stairway displays exceptional craftsmanship and intricate design details. As a well-preserved landmark, it symbolizes the rich cultural heritage of its era and serves as a testament to the advanced engineering techniques employed during its construction.
The Depaldo Stone Steps was constructed in 1823 by the project of the Italian architect Francesco Boffo with the money of Taganrog's Greek merchant Gerasim Depaldo at the crossroads of Greek Street (near Tchaikovsky House in Taganrog) and Depaldo Street (now Turgenevskaya Street) in Taganrog. The stairway begins up on the hill in downtown and goes down ending near Azov seashore (Pushkin Embankment).
In Imperial Russia it was the famous stairs in South Russia, similar to the Potemkin Stairs in Odessa.
In World War II, the Old Stone Steps were heavily damaged, but stayed one of the major tourist attractions of Taganrog. In the 1970s it was reconstructed, but not finished. The new major reconstruction was made in 2005. During the latest reconstruction all the old stone steps were replaced by new stones.

Crazy place with lot's of stuff to do. We'll planned and organized. Nice place to spend a weekend with your friends. The games are awesome here and it has a bar and restaurant inside, so if you check in in the morning you can play till evening. The best thing is it has a relaxing place where you can relax yourself after getting exhausted by the water games. It also has a VR experience show and 7D movie show. So conclusively, the place is quiet exciting but the water is a bit harsh which affected me.

Not bad alternative for a winter attraction.
Not many slides, yet enough to entertain yourself for the half of the day.
Kitchen is below average, but good enough to keep you going.
Rooms are clean.
During the day it might get really hot around hotel and in some places you can catch a very strange smell.
Service is good.

Pretty good!
Firstly, the water is cold.
The park needs more rides, and better cafes inside. The instructors on rides strictly should ask if you know swimming or not, so that people don't drown in that royal flush ride they have.

There are rumors that a monument to Stalin once stood on the site of this monument, and only then its head was changed to the head of Shevchenko, although this is a lie and the monument to Shevchenko has been standing since 1959. Nearby, under the temple, there are also interesting places where you can sit without being disturbed by others.

(Translated by Google) The first bust of Taras Shevchenko on Monastyrsky Island appeared back in 1925 on the alley of monuments, and if we talk specifically about this monument, then it was opened on November 5, 1959. This happened simultaneously with the renaming of the historical Potemkin Garden into the “Park named after Comrade Shevchenko”. There were three monuments in total. The total height of the monument with the pedestal is 20 meters, and its weight is 55 tons. In the summer of 2011, complete restoration of the monument began and in March 2014, for the poet’s birthday, the monument was completely restored, although there were typos in the inscriptions (which were later corrected after an online scandal). If I'm not mistaken, here Taras Shevchenko is 29 years old - that's exactly how old he was when he visited Ekaterinoslav.

The Menorah Hotel is a warm and elegant establishment located in a synagogue. It boasts a 24-hour bar, kosher restaurant, and gym facilities. The staff is friendly, well-trained, and pays attention to details that ensure guests have a pleasant stay. The location is excellent with great architecture adding to the appeal of this hotel. Lazar Globa Park, situated along Dmytro Jawornyzkyj Avenue, is the oldest park in the city of Dnipros. This family-friendly nature park boasts a large lake and offers various forms of entertainment such as a children's ring railway and go-kart center. Visitors can also enjoy a ride on the Ferris wheel for an ultimate view of the city and Dnieper River.
So my friend and I bored out of our minds decided to go out today. We did'nt know any fun places, or where to go so we settled on coffee at the pretty Zeffrino place just opposite the park. After that, we decided to take a stroll in the park and it turned out to be the funnest thing we had done in ages.
Theres a lot of family friendly activities and individual activities for all age groups. We saw ping pong tables, automatic mini toy cars, game shooting ranges, we tried the ferris wheel. There is also virtual reality show rooms, a reptile zoo(has non reptiles too though). To cap it, we walked further down and found a go-carting arena. There are numerous playgrounds with swings, slides and see-saws. There is an obstacle course or two. A mini train.I saw people riding on bikes so maybe you can rent them here, I also saw a pony and a horse. People riding plastic boat thingys on the lake. Average price for a ride everywhere is 50 UAH.
We would definitely be going back to hop on more rides.
Oh! Lots of snacks and there's cotton candy and the corn stuff (the usual ), coffee.
There's a labyrinth type thing too but we couldn't figure it out
P.s the rides are really old. The ferris wheel wasn't as fast as we'd like, also saw a roller coaster that wasnt in use.
You will definitely find something to do. If not, walk around and watch others. Also, take cool pictures.

The oldest park in the city is next to Dmytro Jawornyzkyj Avenue, and is a place of relaxation and fun for Dnipro’s residents.
Complementing the lawns and long, leafy walkways, there’s another small amusement park here.
The showpiece is the Ferris wheel, granting a complete view of the city and the Dnieper.
When it’s warm you can hire a pedalo for the park’s pond and the striking concrete “Summer Theatre” lays on entertainment for kids.
Also see if you can find the Little Prince Fountain, inspired by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s character and installed in 2002

Very large park with beautiful tall trees. Lots of stuff here for kids to do, even a half scale size real train that is run by kids, but you need a ticket so go the realistic train station and get your ticket! Park also has a lot of food options etc., so everyone can be happy and in the center is a small lake with ducks and small boats to rent. If you are here with family this is a good place to go.

You can fed them, but cant buy correct food for ducks near this pound. In the center of pound, there is an old USSR theatre, but its closed because of time and no doing any repairing actions with it. Just money stealing as usually.😭

The park could use a little brush, repair roads, theater and the pond with ducks. Other than that is a nice park for a walk, good for kids with its mini - train that circles around the whole park and stuff like that
The Dnipro Hydroelectric Power Plant, situated between Dnipro and Zaporizhia in Ukraine, was constructed to make the River Dnieper navigable. The dam is an impressive 800 metres long and stands at a height of 61 metres. It boasts a capacity of 1,569 megawatts, making it a significant source of hydroelectric power.
A great fixture of СССР. Every season it provides different views of the Дніпро. Good place for taking landscape pictures.

Between Dnipro and Zaporizhia there used to be over 100 kilometres of impassable rapids on the River Dnieper, which is one of the reasons this region was so hard for empires to control.
Plans to make the river navigable were announced in the 1890s, and it would be another three decades before the city’s famous hydroelectric dam was completed.
A few years after its initial unveiling in 1932, the whole structure had to be rebuilt almost from scratch after it was wrecked in the Second World War.
The dam is 800 metres long, with a height of 61 metres, and has a capacity of 1,569 megawatts.
You could cross it via the footbridge, but it’s a trip to make at quiet times as the traffic can be a bit much

Climbers of all skill levels can enjoy its rocks while accessible roads cater to wheelchair users and cars.
Hortytsya is a historical island, visited not only by the tourists, but by many locals, specially during the weekend as it is a great place where one can visit museums, walk in the park, bike and run in the huge forest covering the island. There are rocks on the island for climbers of all levels, from the beginners to the professionals. The largest River Island on the Dnieper and a vital historical site, Khortysia was named one of the Seven Wonders of Ukraine in 2007. The island’s value rests in its historical associations with the unruly Zaporizhian Cossacks.
They established a “sich” (a wooden fortress settlement) here in the 16th century, and maybe the most compelling piece of trivia is that they are believed to have composed their mocking reply to the Ottoman Sultan Mehmed IV on the island.
This moment is engrained in Ukrainian folklore and recorded in a famous painting by the 19th-century painter Ilya Repin.
There’s a museum on Khortytsia, which we’ll visit next, while the whole island is a national reserve, featuring 50-metre granite cliffs, large swathes of steppe and oak and spruce forest.

A big zoo with very lovely animals. They seem to be well taken care of. But some cages are too small... Especially for those species that need a lot of space for running, flying etc. 😔 And it smells so badly around here! The zoo should be cleaned more thoroughly. Besides, the buildings look quite old and rustic and really need to be renovated. I hope that the funding will be increased soon and they will be able to improve this place.

Pleasant experience for my boys. They enjoyed seeing all the animals. I know this is one of the better zoos in Ukraine... natural habitats, etc., and we chose a nice day to visit -- not hot! There is plenty of shade from trees throughout the park. However, you just can't compare to U.S. zoos. The smell is pretty bad and I think more could be done about that. Overall, though, it is a great activity idea in Mykolaiv.

A couple of blocks down from Lyahina Street is a public park for youngsters, laid out in the 1980s on the site of the city’s former marketplace.
Most of the amusements in the park are inspired by fairytales, like the carousel with a mermaid from Alexander Pushkin’s poem.
The park pays homage to Mykolaiv’s shipbuilding history, building a replica of its first sailboat the Buyan, which kids can pretend to sail.
There’s also a ferris wheel, fairytale castle, racing track and a genuine steam locomotive that has been made safe for little ones to play on.

Old school children amusement park (it's from soviet Era). Clean and alot if fun for kids. Entry is free but some attractions have a small cost.
Large, seasonal aquatic park with pools & slides for all ages, plus a cafe & lounge areas.
Surprisingly nice water park. Lots of sunbeds, lots of fun waterslides for adults and kids, several cafes and bars. The territory is clean and well-kept. The only major drawback are locker halls where lockers would secure your things only from a small kid, and there are no changing room. Which would be OK if access to female and male halves of the space were restricted, which is not, so female visitors go past male lockers all the time, enjoying a view. You can change in a restroom or shower though.

The Odesa Dolphinarium Nemo is a great place to visit if you're looking for entertainment and an opportunity to interact with dolphins. The show programs are top-notch, and the dolphins are very gentle and playful. However, the Oceanarium section of the facility can be quite sad and depressing, as the animals are living in small and confined spaces.
Stunning performance. Incredibly well done. The trainers are acrobatic and the dolphins are just so smart! And man they can jump so ridiculously high! Like 3 body lengths high.

If you love dolphins, don't miss out on this incredible experience.

It's pretty small with 1 small room for aquatic animals and another room for lizards, butterflies and insects. It was worth the 100 I think. Staff was friendly and it was something different to do in ukraine. Just keep in mind it's only 2 small rooms. For 100 they can let you hold some of the lizards or snake and have your picture taken with them which was pretty fun.

Animal cruelty in a "5" star hotel. Horrible. Things like that should be prohibited. Why is nobody doing anything against that? The bustling Odesa Commercial Sea Port offers views of cargo ships, towering cranes, and passenger ferries. The port owes its success to its warm-water characteristics that prevent freezing during winter, which was vital in the 19th-century. The seafront has witnessed significant events such as the Crimean War and mass departure of Jews due to pogroms in the late 1800s.

The city owes its 19th-century success to the fact that it’s warm-water port, so doesn’t freeze in winter, a vital characteristic in that period.
Over the last 200 years the seafront has seen some dramatic moments in the Crimean War and the mass departure of Jews during a succession of pogroms at the end of the 19th century.
