The Kas Plateau is a stunning natural wonder that truly takes your breath away. The scenery is simply magnificent, with a kaleidoscope of colors and textures that change with the seasons. It's a must-visit spot for anyone who loves nature and wants to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The drive up to the plateau is also very scenic, with winding roads that offer stunning views of the surrounding valleys. Highly recommended!

Best experience of my life!! The weather conditions couldn't have been better! Excellent management... there was no garbage anywhere, perfect place for a day out for nature lovers. They serve only black tea and lemon tea which is really good. They have put nets for protection of the plants so that people can't enter and ruin the place.. they rent out cycles for 50/- INR per hour to explore the place. A must visit place in Sept and Oct as the flowering plants are all seasonal plants..

It is a beautiful place but you need to visit here during perfect time of the season. We didn't get to see purple flowers as we expected, but found many unique flowers, so our overall experience was good. Weather was also nice and breezy as we started quite early morning.

Visited this place on 19th october, was not lucky enough to see flowers in it's full glory due to rains in first week of October but still the place was worth it's visit for the amazing ride from Satara with beautiful valley views on both sides of the road and just walking here at kaas pathar will make you feel good.
It cannot be compared with Valley of flowers, Uttarakhand but has its own charm
There are four gates, entire flower Plateau is barricaded except for gate 1 & 3 which are open and interconnected. Route through gate 4 is longest with a small lake called kumudini and view point for Kas lake. You can hire bicycle at gate 4 for 50 per hour
Considering the changing pattern of monsoon September would be best time provided there is dry spell for atleast 3days
Online booking is must for booking, cost 100 per person. Booking starts from late August till mid October, you can still visit for free after booking is closed but won't get to see any flowers except for vast grass lands.

This is one of the hidden gems of Maharashtra . Very few people visit this regularly . This place by its marathi nomenclature is popularly known as Kaas Pathar (Plateau) . It has lush green outfield with a variety of Mountain flowers which I believe you will find only here . Parking Facility is available . They have separate bus facility which takes you to the plateau from the parking point and also drops you back as well . The best place to visit this place is around Sept every year . You have to do pre bookings from thier website and the process is very simple . Don't miss out on this gem.

Kaas Plateau is famous for the variety of flowers and people throng to watch them . Unfortunately, there were not many flowers around , but we were welcomed by many scenic views all around .
Drove to the Kass lake in the same plateau . It was a stupendous location with greenery all around surrounded by the serene lake . Tried to capture some snaps of the stunning views . Drove back bidding adios to the startling mother nature .

Avoid weekend, too much traffic, parking issue, too much walking.. Restrictions too much in area... Fencing.....
Slight disappointment..... Flowers not in full blooms..... Still 15 days of October is better to wait for good natural full blooms flowers view.....

Welcome to Kaas plateau.
This is one of the world heritage site managed by the local wildlife department. For to visit you need to book your slot in advance online /offline can also be possible at the entrance. For online, they give all informations about the bookings, costs, place and directions. It was Rs.120 per Adult this year. Please be noted, For to experience this amazing nature of beauty of flowers can be seen in limited period during every year.
The flowers bloom from Early/mid Sept to mid October every year. It varies from year to year based on the rains. they have 3 slots are from 7 to 11 am , 11 am to 3pm and 3pm to 6pm with limited number of slots upto 1000 per slot. But on holidays it seems they open even more numbers than 1000 mentioned. It always better to take printout and keep the hard copy with you as they used to stamp at gates and for easy inspection. You have to park vehicle at base close to the kaas paththar and you have to take bus tour around 5 to 10 minutes to reach the plateau. The shuttle service available up and down at free of cost. Please note, If it is raining day, then there is no point visiting because eventhough it is open
and umbrella is there, but it would not serve purpose
Coming to this beauty, this year the season was not at the peak die to heavy rains here and there made mostly yellow flowers are bloomed and other flowers are in bud stages. But still it's a beauty to visiy and experience the large classic deccan trap plateau top of the mountain ranges with the beautiful on Kaas Lake. The plateau place host once a year to a pleothara of wild flowers of various colours that are very
pleasing to the eye. I recomend going first into the first gate and later so and on...
Due to the crowd and distance, only able to see Gate 1, 2 and 3 and totally missed to visit Gate 4.
Please note there is no good eateries around there, so have to get in Satara also the toilet facilities are not upto the mark, the organisers have to look into that mobile toilets and the cleanliness.
It's a opportunity to visit this plateau and experience atleast once in your lifetime..

Thoseghar Waterfall is a picturesque and secluded destination, offering stunning vistas of cascading waterfalls and rolling hills. The tranquil setting provides ample opportunities for picnicking and enjoying the soothing breezes that surround the area. Visitors are encouraged to keep the environment clean and avoid littering plastic bottles. The best season to visit is during monsoon when two waterfalls, Big and Small, showcase their awesomeness.
Truly amazing! Beautiful scenaries of waterfall and hills. Soothing breezes of wind and water are treat to feel. Good space for parking four wheelers. A must visit.
Try not to throw plastic bottles around. Keep it clean.

Amazing place to be. If you are looking for a small trail amid nature with good scenic views on the way, then this is the perfect place to visit.
Well we went here in the month of June. I did not find many people here. Though the guard there told me it’s very safe to walk on the trail and you could see the beautiful falls after a 15 to 20 minute walk.
I would recommend to go in groups here to enjoy the trail. We too enjoyed the trail and it was very easy to reach the falls as the place is well built and beautifully maintained. I even saw cctv cameras installed on the trail for safety. A perfect place to explore beautiful scenic valley and the waterfalls.
We Paid Rs. 50 for the entry. They even had toilets inside. Also, there were benches around to sit and enjoy the place.
For more such travel recommendations login to my website. You will get detailed blog posts about travel destinations. Search for travelclever on Google for my website and YouTube channel.
So if you want to take a walk amid nature in a quite place, then this place is good to visit. Although there were very few people visiting the place, we felt a bit of alone there. It is a remote but nice place.

Barcading/nets install to not go go in unsafe zone. Not much rush (at least on Saturday when we visited). Good time to go when we had lot of rain (to get giant view of falls).

Breathtaking Natural Beauty at Thoseghar Waterfall
Visiting Thoseghar Waterfall is an experience to remember! The waterfall is in full glory during the monsoon with its waters plunging from a height with a mesmerizing force. The surrounding greenery adds to the serene beauty, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers and photographers alike. There are in fact couple of waterfalls smaller and bigger.
The government has made substantial efforts to ensure the safety and convenience of tourists with well-maintained viewing platforms and clear signages. There are small eateries nearby offering local snacks, which adds to the charm of a day out here.
Accessibility isn't an issue as the place is well-connected by road; however, to view the waterfall requires a bit of a walk down the steps, which can be challenging for some but is definitely worth the effort.

* No food stalls inside, to create litter.
* Road from KAAS to Thoseghar and to Satara are beautiful.
* One can go to the back-side of waterfall through the caves, awesome experience (check the pics).
Cons-
* Can get pretty crowded in the weekends.
Note-
* One can spend 1-2 hours here.

Excellent place to visit. There are a series of waterfalls, some of them 15 to 20 metres and one of approx 200 metres in height. People come from all over Maharashtra to visit the area, especially during the rainy or monsoon season, July to November. Heavy rain falls during that season and because of this the falls have more water and are more spectacular. The immediate area is calm and quiet, with a clean lake and dark woods in a hilly area.entry fees 50/- rs per person.

In the state of Maharashtra, there is a small taluka called Sangameshwar in Ratnagiri district. Marleshwar is a famous place of Shiva at a distance of 16 km from Devrukh village in the same taluk. This Shivsthan is in a cave on a mountain. There are two Shivpindis in this cave, one of which is known as Mallikarjuna and the other is known as Marleshwar. It is said that these two are brothers and Mallikarjuna is the elder brother. The cave is inhabited by snakes and snakes. But they do not harm anyone.
Parvati was not here when this place was created. And so it is the practice of this temple that Shiva and Parvati get married here every Makar Sankranti. 'Marleshwar' is the groom and Sakharpa village ‘Girijadevi' is considered as the bride and marriage is arranged. From Sakharpya, 'Girijaidevi' goes in a palanquin from Maral village to Marleshwar. This wedding ceremony is performed in Lingayat style. These Shiva Pindi are Swayambhu. Yatra is held at this place on two days, the day before Makar Sankranti and Sankranti.
For this ceremony, people from the surrounding areas walk to see Mareshwar. After going to Marleshwar, first take a bath under the waterfall and then visit Marleshwar. Located in a small cave away from the village, this place is surrounded by beautiful scenery and green forest. There are high mountains on all three sides. One of the attractions of this place is the waterfall that flows here. Falling from a height of about 200 feet, this waterfall is known as 'Dhareshwar'.
It is said that this waterfall receives a total of twelve smaller waterfalls. From the bank of Sahyadri, this waterfall starts flowing as Bavandi. Bathing under this waterfall in the month of Magh is considered very sacred.

You will have a really good experience and you can see the structure of the temple which is made by carving thousands of stones in very detailed way to make sculptures of the gods. You will also get to know the history and art of the ancient people here in this place. A great place to visit.

The temple is beautiful and exudes a peaceful and calm atmosphere. It's centrally located and radiates positive vibes.
However parking can be an issue.
Street parking is available nearby and there is a municipal parking lot, but it can be somewhat hard to find.
The municipal parking charges 30 rs for cars. Toilet facilities are also available. It's about a 15-minute walk from the parking lot to the temple.
Be cautious of locals who may try to charge 50rs for parking closer to the temple, as the municipal parking is a more cost-effective and trustable option.

The temple is amazing. Excellent structure and archeology. Mind becomes peaceful and relaxed. Please put your donation at proper donation counter and help the temple to sustain better. This is a unique piece of Indian history, art and most importantly spirituality. Must visit early in the morning for Darshan.

Shri Ambabai Temple or Mahalakshmi Temple in Kohlapur is one of the ancient Shakthipeethams in India. This sixth century Chalukya temple is an architectural wonder. It appears that a major earthquake in the 8th century which damaged most of the original structure and has been reconstructed over the centuries.
The temple complex has four main entrances. The complex includes five huge spires. The main idol is Goddess Mahalakshmi. Next to the main idol is Goddess Mahakali and Goddess MahaSaraswathi thus representing the three Goddesses of Hinduism.
It is so devine to have a Darshan of Shri Ambabai and what a positive experience and energy!

Ambabai Temple is Unique piece of History- Art -Culture mixture of India we can called it's Pillar of Sanatan 🇮🇳 Irrespective of own religion any one can enter in premises of Mandir. It has a great Spiritual Vibes🙏The stone carvings carries ancient energies of beautiful mythological stories.
Best hours to get darshana of mahalakshmi/abmmbabai in early morning or night hours because it's always crowded especially on weekends or public holidays.
The traditional shops around the temple premises are so beautiful and affordable too. You can shop Puja saman ooti plate and traditional food items, ornaments etc around the mandapa market.
The parking is bit problem difficult to find and the roads are very narrow so better avoid coming by your car 🚘 or park in your staying hotel and walk or take auto for temple.

Shree Kopeshwar Mandir
Hindu temple
Sights & Landmarks
Sacred & Religious Sites
Hindu temple with elephant pillars, intricate stone carvings & a dome with a circular opening.
Kopeshwar Temple near Kolhapur in Maharashtra is a masterpiece of Chalukyan temple architecture. It is yet to get the fame like Chola temples of Thanjavur or Chandela temples of Khajuraho. Maybe because it is a single temple in this region with a much smaller Jain temple in the vicinity. Maybe its time has just come now.
History of Kopeshwar Temple at Khidrapur
There are different views on when this temple was exactly built. Sources point to it being first built in 7th CE, probably built by Badami Chalukyas. Other sources place it in 9th CE during the times of Kalyani Chalukyas. While yet other sources put it to 12th CE built by Shilahar Kings, who were earlier the vessels of Chalukyan kings.
My sense is that it is probably a 9th CE temple later enhanced by Shilahars. You do see a lot of incomplete elements in the temple. For example, the incomplete north and south Mukh mandapas, incomplete carvings on pillars with markings for carving. As they say, incomplete structures give you insights into the making of temples. The Shikhar of the temple is also out of sync with the rest of the structure. Temples anyway are on perpetual construction mode.
The temple thankfully has 12 inscriptions, 11 of which are in old Kannada script while one is in Devnagari. However, none of these inscriptions tell us about who built it and when. One of them dating to 1204 by Yadava Kings of Deogiri do mention the renovation of the temple, implying that the temple existed well before 12th CE.

What a beauty leveraging ancient architecture and designs that are just beyond our imagination. Truely a unique monument which needs to be addressed and admired by everyone. This temple of God Shiva (Kopeshwar) is situated at such a location which is surrounded by river Krishna on three of its side. Entering into this temple makes you realize the fact that how the people at that time had built it. Construction was started in 7th century and later in 12th century Silahara King completed the work with due respect. Best part of temple is the Swargmandap which is at the start, really amazing sculpture and construction done. Only one thing as a tourist you feel bad is that Government has no attention over this beautiful monument

This ancient Shiva mandir located near Maharashtra Karnataka border is an absolute wonder.
I remember visiting it many years back and being completely awe struck by the beauty of it. I was fortunate to visit it again very recently. Since then the road to Khidrapur is a bit better and some shops, parking space has come near the temple.
The temple walls are adorned with beautiful stone carvings, not only within the temple but on the outer walls too. But the biggest attractions is definitely Swarga Mandap. Don't miss seeing it around evening time.
Pro tip: lie fown on your back at the center and look up the swarga mandap. It looks even more beautiful.

Shri Kopeswar (Furious) Mahadev Temple, sited on Krishna river banks, at Koopam village, Khidrapur, in Kolhapur district (Maharashtra) - is a border town of Maharashtra & Karnataka. The historic temple with fascinating myths & legends, was built during 12 century by Shilahara Kings of Chalukya dynasty.
The magnificent architectural marvel of intrinsic stone carvings on the Temple Walls & Pillars are Splendid. The location of the temple has influenced the architectural work with a mix culture of Chalukya, Hoysala & Hemadpanti architectural & artistic marvel.
Inside the temple - the magnificent Swargamandap has a vestibule with an open sky view top. Picturesque.
This is probably the only temple where Lord Vishnu is sited next to Lord Shiva, in form of another Shivling. Also, strangely Nandi is absent here inside the temple premises.
The temple has lost its marvel architectural glory due to past invasions & depletion, erosion in time. Government has not preserved or renovated this wonderful Heritage site. The architectural magnificence would be Lost soon if No initiative is taken for maintenance or restoration by the Government or ASI or UNESCO.
The Visit to the Temple is highly recommended.

This temple is declared as a National Protected Monument in Maharashtra. The temple is a masterpiece of architecture and the beautiful sculptures on this temple are very beautifully carved. There are huge elephants on the gajthara (गजथर) and on the backs of these elephants there are sculptures of different gods and goddesses. Inside the Temple we can see, there are 8 deities of 8 directions, collectively called Digpals occupying their respective directions and in addition, there are 4 images of Vishnu, Kartik, the Sun, and Shiva.

It was one of the most beautiful historical moments I have seen. The temple built with Hemadpant structural style, it faced Aurangzeb's invasion and his attempted destruction. Aurangzeb has distructed trunks of the elephants and defaced human statues. The temple also faced destructive effects of river floods but has survived. the remIning statues and tje architectural beauty is still amazing.
This is the only temple where Gods Shankar and Vishnu are together, and the God Shankar is facing south.
This is the only temple where Lord Nandi is not present with God Shankar.
The temple has some carvings identifying the rich history of Indian culture.
No tickets are required, but I recommend taking a guide to understand the history and the carvings or statues at the monument.

A Hidden 12th century temple, built on the banks of River Krishna, Kopeshwar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva,
Story behind this temple is, when lord Shiva was furious when sati Parvati jumped into Daksha’s sacrifice. Lord Vishnu then brought Shiva to the temple to calm him down. Hence the temple got the name as ‘Kopeshwar’.
The construction of temple started in 7th century AD and the work remained incomplete under various dynasties.
M agnificent piece of intricate Chalukyan architecture. Built with basalt stone, the entire temple is divided into four parts Swarga Mandap, Sabha Mandapa, Antarala, and Garbhagriha / Sanctum Sanctorum. The Swarg Mandap of the temple is unique and stunning. The mandap is supported by 48 beautifully carved pillars and has a large circular stone disc with an open roof.
Apart from the temple, there are no other facilities provided for the tourists. Guest rooms, tour guides, hotels and other information are not available at the venue and so there is not much of a response to this historical site.

It was on my bucket list for long and finally had the chance to visit this historic temple with a beautiful open to sky architecture of the navarang.
This intrinsic architectural marvel has 12 pillars with carvings of deities with an open space in the middle. I am sure, it will be so beautiful to see this place during full moon day.
The inner sanctum is also an awesome structure with many beautifully carved structures. Lord Shiva resides here in the name of Kopeshwar.

One of the best architecture I have visited. You will need a minimum 2hrs to explore carvings. Each carving has lots to tell about ancient times and spirituality.
When you enter the temple there is a swarg mandal from where sun rays pass into the temple forming a globe structure according to the shift of sun.
Although, outside it was very sunny and warm, the temple was a really calm place to be.
A must visit place.
Outside the temple parking space was available although it was weekend time. And sugarcane juice was a great drink to beat the heat.

Gokak Water Falls

Going to Belgaum is incomplete without visiting it's less travelled beautiful places and a place in our bucket lists was Gokak falls,
It is a 2.5 hour drive from belgavi city. Driving through the village roads and through lush green fields of rice and sugarcane was an very good rural experience,on reaching there we were happy to see the Falls from a hill,in the summer months the flow of water is less. One of the exciting thing about visiting the waterfall is not just seeing it but walking through the river by a walking cable Bridge,I can say the bridge is quite sturdy and strong. The bridge was closed and wasn't open because of pandemic BUT i hope the belgavi government opens the brige for visitors post pandemic. We managed to walk through the bridge later we went down the rocks to cross the cool streams of water and feel the scenic beauty of the fall.
It was one of a kind Experience after all!

Gokak Falls is 6 km away from Gokak town and gets its name from the Goki trees found in abundance in these areas. It resembles the Niagara Falls due to its features like the fall, shape etc. Here, River Ghataprabha takes a leap of 52 metres over the sand-stone cliff amidst a picturesque gorge of the rugged valley, making a beautiful sight. This place has the credit of generating electricity for the first time in the country in about 1887. A prime attraction of the Gokak Falls is the hanging 200-m-long bridge that lies 14 m above the bedrock. Tourists can also visit monuments on both sides of the rocky gorge which include temples of Goddess Durga, Lord Shanmukha and Lord Mahalingeshwara built in the traditional Chalukyan style of architecture.
Reasons to visit Gokak Falls:
Hanging Bridge: Built across the river, 200 meters long, gives an elevated view of the falls.
Lord Mahalingeshwara Temple, built-in Chalukya style architecture.
Kemple Park botanical gardens
Yogi Kolla hiking: A popular trekking destination 3 kms from the falls.
Mallaprabha Boating: Boating options in Markandeya river, 8 kms from the Falls

It's a good place for one day visit. Has lot of history attached to it.
Even during the month of January it had sufficient water.
Authority should take some action to maintain cleanliness.

Gokak Waterfall, situated in the Indian state of Karnataka, is a breathtaking natural wonder that captivates visitors with its raw beauty and serene surroundings. This majestic waterfall is formed by the Ghataprabha River as it cascades down a rugged gorge, creating a mesmerizing spectacle that has earned it the nickname "Mini Niagara of India."
The Gokak Waterfall is an emblem of the unspoiled charm of nature. Its sheer drop of about 170 feet into the chasm below creates a thunderous roar that resonates through the lush greenery. During the monsoon season, when the river is in full flow, the waterfall is at its most impressive, with a colossal volume of water crashing down.
The surrounding landscape adds to the allure of Gokak Falls. The verdant hills and the dense forested areas create a serene atmosphere, making it a popular spot for nature enthusiasts and photographers. The viewing platform near the falls offers an excellent vantage point to witness this natural marvel up close.
Apart from its natural beauty, Gokak also holds historical significance. The town of Gokak itself is known for its textile industry and historical landmarks like the Gokak Mills. The old suspension bridge, known as the Gokak Bridge, adds a touch of nostalgia to the scenery.
Gokak Waterfall is not just a feast for the eyes but also a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. It's a place where one can connect with nature's grandeur and find solace in the soothing sound of rushing water. Whether you're a nature lover, an adventurer, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, Gokak Waterfall is a must-visit destination that leaves a lasting impression on all who behold its splendor.

It's one of the best and beautiful waterfalls in Karnataka ( Gokak ). It's a very clean and has a view point too to get a best scenery of Gokak Falls. It is the first water falls in India to start generating Hydro Electricity. Such a beautiful and peaceful place. It's a most recommended place for visitors, travellers, etc! ❤

Beautiful place. Best time to visit july end or any time in rainy season.
From belgaum 2 routes are there, via Hidkal and via Ankalgi. Go with Hidkal only if u want to visit Hidkal dam else go with Ankalgi route for better road condition and less distance.
Rare tip : Entry to the view point have temples and one old mill also. Apart from this just opposite side of this across the river there is another view point which is not that maintained but the view of the fall is great from there. Get locals help to reach there.

Located on the Camp Road in Belgaum in Karnataka, Military Mahadev Temple is one of the prime attractions in the city that has been built and maintained by the Indian Army. Founded in 1955 by Lieutenant General S.M. Shrinagesh, General Officer, and Commander-in-Chief Southern Command, the temple is situated in the heart of a lush green park. In addition to that, there is also a play area for the kids.
The foundation stone of Military Mahadev Temple was laid on January 18, 1954. The temple was opened to public on January 24, 1955 by Lieutenant General S.M. Shrinagesh, General Officer and Commander-in-Chief Southern Command.
Military Mahadev Temple has undergone several renovations and modifications through the years and the dome has been completely changed. There is a religious ritual practised every Monday called Samuhik Panchamrit, also called as the collective offering of the Panchamrit. This Panchamrit is made of four important elements - honey, yogurt, ghee, and sugar. The most important festival celebrated here is Mahashivratri. It has undergone renovations with a new dome built in the original style and carvings similar to those in other South Indian temples.
The temple remarkably clean and well-maintained. It is so called because of its long-standing use for worship by army personnel and of course, it was later thrown open to the public.

Best place to go for a relaxed walk, quality time with family, kids love it. This was the must go destination for me as a child. Loved watching deer, rabbits, peacocks, emu. The temple was a must visit place. Going to the Krishna fountain to spot tortoises was the next best activity. It was very hard to get a chance to sit on the swings. I always preferred the slide.

One of the best temple in belgaon. This one is too spacious and they have many seating arrangements also in the premise. There’s a ground on which they have developed some miniatures of forts won by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Children’s park is also there on another side of temple.
Photography is not allowed in main temple. This temple has two nandi statues in-front of the shivling rather than one which we usually see.
This is really close to the belgaon railway station so you can actually walk upto this place.

1. It's feels like being on a new world where everything is so green and clean. Definitely the air feels fresher.
2. They charge 500 per person and provide a tour guide, a welcome drink, warm welcome, and unlimited lunch.
3. Our tour guide was the sweetest person, he was really funny and very informative. Our whole exploring journey was even more fun because of him.
4. They showed us many herbs and spices.
5. They sell those herbs at a very reasonable price at their own shop.

I visited this plantation with my parents and it was such a highlight of our Goa trip! My parents love nature (as do I) and they have a big interest in growing their own plants. This was perfect for them to know more about how spices are grown, what each plant looks, feels, and smells like, and some other niche information. Our guide Dinanath was brilliant, our group was very enthusiastic about plants and sometimes got distracted, but he was super patient and great at answering our questions! Thank you to him for being so nice.
We left with some spices of our own, I got some fresh coffee (they grow their own!!) and honestly so happy we went. The thali at the end was good too (we had veg options), it's good knowing they used the spices that they grow to make the food as well as serving in the leaf plates.
Super peaceful and cool place, definitely recommend to make it a part of your Goa experience.

If you enjoy nature, a visit to the Tropical Spice Plantation (500 rupees) will be the highlight of your trip!
Located in Keri Village, six kilometers from Ponda, Tropical Spice Plantation is one of the most beautiful and least polluted areas in Goa. For nature lovers, especially birding enthusiasts, the plantation is home to over 75 species of resident and migratory birds.
Upon arrival, visitors are showered with flowers and provided some lemongrass tea to drink while you wait until the next 30 minute guided tour starts. On the tour, you'll learn about the plantation and what it is all about. The guided walk through the spice ‘forest’ will bring you to the world of spices and their medicinal values.
Everyone knows about spices such as black pepper, cardamom, nutmeg, vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, chillies, coriander and more. But here, visitors get to see these spices in their plant form. Did you know that there is one particular spice plant that produces a spice that has the aroma and taste of five spices? That’s the All Spice plant for you!
During the tour, you will see coconut trees that are more than hundred years old, tropical trees like cashew, betel nut, palm trees, star fruit, jackfruit, bananas, papayas, pineapple, a great variety of citrus fruits and more.
After the incredibly informative guided tour, you are then led to an open-air restaurant and served the best of Goan cuisine!

Overall it's one of the best places to experience and explore when in goa.

Avoid this place. 550 rupees for the HORRIBLE food they give. Looks like the Tours-and-Travel groups have a commission deal and also it's far away from where you usually stay so it helps them make you think that you have a full day of activity. Look at the pics and decide for yourself. Biryani looks like Poha. The reviews seem to be paid ones. Because this is not even close to 1* in quality and hygiene.

Note: don’t touch the stray cats there or approach them, they can bite you and you will need to get vaccinated for rabies.
Other than that (which was my fault), the place is quaint and really beautiful. Got to learn a lot about spices. Even during peak day time it’s pleasant due to shade from the trees. The food is good as well. For the cost, it’s a steal and you can buy fresh spices afterwards.

Dudhsagar Falls, situated at the Goa-Karnataka border, is a 3-streamed waterfall that derives its name from its milky waters. Lives up to its hype. We explored the bottom section of the falls. The hike via rail tracks to the falls is now closed, thanks to the hooligan behaviour of people. It can now be only accessible via train

Haven on the earth, amazing natural beauty, you should never miss a chance to visit this place. I assure you will be filled with joy and adventure after reaching this place.
The safari ride will thrill you by it's adventure.
Good job the forest team to maintain the place clean and respectful.
Please don't remove your life jacket if you're entering in to falls as I could be dangerous because of its depth.

It’s a journey to get here and you should count at least 4 hours for this trip (excluding the journey from the hotel to the park entrance which in our case took 2 hours in each direction from our hotel in north Goa)
Overall we left the hotel at 7am and returned at 4pm
Getting the mandatory Jeep to go in the track to reach the waterfall is a very disorganized process (it takes roughly 30 minutes and cost 700rs + 40rs for life jacket) / we heard that you can skip this part by booking online.
Once in the Jeep, count 30-45 minutes to get through the checkpoint (100rs for government) and reach the Jeep parking.
Then around 10 minutes walk (difficult for kids and old people) to cross very natural places before reaching the waterfalls.
You can swim in the waterfalls, it’s clean and safe.
Not recommended for solo women travelers.

The trek is a bit hectic (around 14 kms one way) but it’s totally worth it. The view is breathtaking. If you like watching water falling over rocks, it’s definitely a place to check out.

Gifted place. You cannot ride to the falls, stop the car at the jeep taxi stand and book the jeep online. Link will be provided at the place. Rs. 25 per person for registration, kids above age 5 to be considered as adults. This registration copy to be shown at the counter to get a jeep driver. One jeep will carry only 7 passengers. You need to pay 500 per head for jeep safari, additional 300 including the life jacket (mandatory) and forest entrance fees.
Ride to the falls is awesome. You will get almost an hour time at the falls. Have to be careful while walking over the slippery rocks 🪨. Mobiles must kept inside a plastic cover or carry it very carefully. Wear the life jacket and you can swim in the water. Water will be very cold and it’s an awesome experience there. Carry swim suits or spare dress to enjoy the bath.

Dudhsagar Waterfall is a breathtaking natural wonder that left me in awe during my recent visit. The sheer size and power of the waterfall are simply mesmerizing. The cascading water looks like a frothy river of milk, hence the name "Dudhsagar," which means "Sea of Milk" in Hindi.
The lush green surroundings and the dense forest add to the charm of this place, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts and photographers. The journey to reach the waterfall, whether by train or trekking, is an adventure in itself, with stunning views of the Goan countryside.
The only downside to this popular tourist destination is the crowd. It can get quite crowded, especially during the peak season, which takes away from the tranquility of the place. However, if you can time your visit during the off-peak hours, you'll have a more peaceful experience.
Overall, Dudhsagar Waterfall is a must-visit for anyone exploring the natural beauty of Goa. It's a sight to behold and a great escape from the bustling beaches and nightlife of the region.

A wonderful natural beauty.
This is a very unique scenario where you can see waterfalls, hilly rivers, deep forest and railway tracks in between deep forest. You can take a Jeep ride from Kulem to visit this waterfall. The water is very clear and the atmosphere is very peaceful and pleasant in nature. You can take a deep breath and chill in here. Fresh air and fresh water.
You can visit from November to February for the best experience. Water is around 20 meters deep at the falling point. A life jacket is must to visit this waterfall.

When we went here few years, we had only option to get the train, if we miss then need to walk to main station to catch the trains. Lot had improved now after many visitors are reaching here. We can bath at downside of the fall with trekking. No shops where there before but now we have it. Lot improved now. Great experience.

Very hyped falls, with less stream and water. Approaching road inside forest is bumpy, not a tar road takes around 45 minutes to reach followed by 10 to 15 min walk. 640 per head- 500 ticket, 100 to forest entry, 40 life jacket or 3500 for a vehicle. Railway track is there. Water is deep and cold. Overall ok.

Stunning view!!
One of the best places to visit in South Goa. We came here in the off season. Had a small hike to make it to here. But it was all worth it. The waterfall is is a huge one and shipped like heart. You can also see it from the train but we decided to get down in Kulem station to do a small hike. The hike it self was amazing.

Breath taking view when you arrive there. I would absolutely recommend a visit if you are in India and Goa. Make sure you arrive early as there is a limit to how many Jeeps can go there in a day. Swimming in the water is a must after a hot trek but get ready for crowded and quite tight rocky shore. Water is deep.
Also be careful with any food as monkey are there to steal it then they litter around with food wrappings juice boxes etc. They can get quite aggressive.
Najir Shaikh — Google review
Make sure to visit this place in the early morning . Morning is the best time to reach there with view as well as to avoid long queues, otherwise you will end up waiting in queue while sitting in your vehicle. Don't carry any food inside the waterfall otherwise you'll have to share it with monkeys. In Jeep Safari I had an experience where a monkey suddenly came up for food and was sitting with me inside the Jeep.
For a ticket you need to do an online booking and then to book for Jeep from there with life jacket charge. There is also a separate jungle entry fee, so it is better to keep your card handy for the payment.

One must visit this waterfall if you are visiting Goa. The milky white water flows with gush which is a treat to eyes. it is wise to visit this waterfall in Goa, after the monsoon, between October to February.
If you want to swim in the Dudhsagar River at the base of the falls, do it only with a life jacket. Bathing in the monsoon is not recommended when the water flows with great force. There are no cloakrooms / lockers to store luggage near the falls.
Note: Be aware of monkeys and dont feed them.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Doodh Sagar in Goa, and let me tell you, it's a sight to behold! The view from there is absolutely stunning, especially after it rains and everything is lush and green. Unfortunately, they're not allowing visitors to go up to the top at the moment, but don't let that deter you – you can still take in the beauty from ground level. I'd suggest planning your visit for after rainy days to get the full experience. However, if you're thinking of going during hot weather, it might not be as enjoyable. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit, especially if you're a nature lover!

Do not miss this falls, The jeep ride is adventure. Book the ticket online, it will show a slot in online ticket, doesn't matter its a kind of confirmation. You can get ticket earlier. Go as early as possible to the ticket counter, The queues are big on season time. Took around 2hrs for us to get ticket from counter. Carry cash and water. No shop near falls. Keep the life jacket safe. It is required to get into falls.

Dudhsagar Waterfall is a paradise, offering a wide range of its beauty for all the nature enthusiasts and photographers.
The jeep ride takes off beat riding of approximately 4 hours including to and fro. Then, one has to trek for at least 15 minutes depending on the weather conditions. Lifeguard Jackets are provided and it's a No plastic Zone. 🚫One has to give the exact count of Plastic bottles carried with them at the entrance itself.
It's just heaven for good swimmers and also a small changing room is present there.
Undoubtedly this place promises an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages!

Great place to visit with family. You can swim in the waterfall. Please book the jeep safari in advance to avoid waiting time. Jeep safari costs ~ INR 900 to INR 1000 per person. You can spend 90 min in the premise beyond which you will have to pay extra charges.

The water is pretty cold and does feel great while swimming. There are tadpoles to medium sized fishers and they do bite (little).
Many people will come onto roads and stop you to park your vehicle near their place (for 100rs) and ask you to get the token saying they already have few passengers (need 7 for a safari) plz don't take any forehand, near the token counter itself ull get parking as well as the safari drivers.

The Syntheri Rocks is a park area that showcases a river with small rapids and rock formations that have been shaped and hollowed out over time. Visitors are required to pay an entry fee of 50/- per person and must navigate narrow roads for some off-roading before reaching the destination. The area offers ample parking space for both cars and bikes, but visitors should be prepared to walk down several flights of steps to access the rocks.
It is an amazing place to visit with friends and family. You can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Also, you get to click beautiful pictures and videos with different backgrounds. There's a small shop at the top where you get eatables and drinks. Ample parking space, and to enjoy the most of it, it's suggested to visit early.

Hidden deep within the lush forests of Dandeli, Syntheri Rocks is a natural wonder that is sure to amaze and enchant visitors of all ages. This towering rock formation, carved by the relentless forces of nature over millennia, offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
As I made my way down the winding path towards the rocks, the anticipation grew. The air was filled with the sounds of the forest, and the sunlight filtered through the canopy of trees, creating a dappled effect on the ground.
Upon reaching the base of the rocks, I was awestruck by their sheer size and grandeur. The sheer vertical rock face towered above me, its smooth surface reflecting the sunlight in a mesmerizing way. I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder as I stood before this natural masterpiece.
As I climbed the steps leading up to the viewing platform, I was rewarded with even more stunning views. The lush greenery of the forest stretched as far as the eye could see, dotted with glimpses of the Kali River winding its way through the valley. The air was fresh and invigorating, and I could feel the stress of everyday life melting away.
At the top of the viewing platform, I took a moment to soak in the panoramic views. The scenery was simply breathtaking. The rolling hills, the winding river, and the vast expanse of the forest all came together to create a scene of unparalleled beauty.

Entry fee 50/- per person. Before reaching the destination you have to do little off-roading with narrow roads. Good parking space available for car's and bike's. You need to walk down a lot of steps to reach to the rocks. One local shop you will find on the way, also washroom facility is there, however cleanliness is not maintained. After reaching the destination you will be amazed to see the beauty of the nature. Best place for photography. Make sure you don't go beyond the safe zone area, guards are present for people's safety. This place is something worth going and enjoying your time.

This is one of the best place to visit if you're travelling to Goa via Dandeli. You need to go inside tiger kali reserve to view this place hence timing restriction applies for visiting this place. This place offers spectacular view and take some good shots. Earlier people are allowed to watch near the stream but due to unforeseen incident now they've closed that route and you can enjoy the view from a distance. This place provides details about the rocks ,sediments and their uses. There is only one small shop available to buy snacks and water. The entry charges applicable for this place. You have to test your fitness while returning to the parking point as the steps are inclined and difficult to catch breath but you are provided with benches to sit and catch your breath. Good for visiting this place once.

Beautiful place to visit if you are a nature enthusiastic.
Beautiful and scenic, right in middle of dense forest.
Old rocks make you realise how old earth could be.
There is no proper tarmac road leading to the rocks, it's just a way formed by vehicles going through.
No swimming/bathing advisable given the nature of the rocks, highly dangerous, if done.
Climb down to the fall is easy, not the other way, as it is quite high.

It's a nice place but i would suggest to visit this place only when the flow of the river is more but one thing i noticed is there is a board in which it is clearly written to not to go very close to the river and they have restricted the bank also with ropes for people to know that they should not go beyond that point but Indians if start following rules it will be a insult to India only right. People crosses those boundaries and go in the river just for the sake of clicking photos and risking lifes. Don't do it guys. It's a nice place don't ruin it's beauty. People littering near river really breaked my heart.

Exploring Karnataka....at Dandeli...... The famous monolithic granite.....Syntheri Rock.....
At a distance of 31 km from Dandeli and 16 km from Ulavi, Syntheri Rock is monolithic granite structure with a height of 300 feet, which is located in the dense forests of Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary. It is one of the top Dandeli tourist places to visit.
Syntheri Rock is a huge, massive limestone rock formed due to volcanic eruptions some million years ago. It is named after an English lady called Ms. Cinthera who is believed to have discovered this place in 20th century. River Kaneri passes along the side of this rock. Owing to the flow of the river from the vicinity, erosion has resulted in the rocks getting hollowed. The corners of this rock cave are inhabited by numerous pigeons and honeybees.
Entry to the venue is controlled by forest department. The site can be reached either by jeep or by walk through the dense forest from the entrance. At the entrance visitors need to pay nominal entry fee and vehicles can go up to the parking area from where visitors need to climb down to reach the base.
There is a 15-20 minute walk from the vehicle parking to the rock. A flight of 200 odd steps downwards lead you to the base. The steps are very steep and various types of rocks found in the forest are displayed along the steps.

A must visit place if you're in Dandeli.
You can park your car in Syntheri Rocks Hebbagilu.
From there you can either choose to walk from the entrance for around 10-15 mins or take your vehicle. There's an entry fee.
Second part of the journey you'll have to go by walk where you might have to walk around 200 steps which is quite slippery during Rainy season, so be careful and hold onto guard rails.
Once you climb down the steps you can view the rock formation and water gushing.

Great place for walkers and jogger’s . We could only make 1/4th round of the entire lake . According to the security of the lake the entire periphery of the lake is about 6.5 kms . The lake closes at 07:00 pm . If you are planning to cover the entire round then have ample time before you take the full circle.
The lake is just next to Hotel naveen . The pavement have been well laid . There are lights out along the track so that the move may be smooth . There is a sun set view point at the enterance at a heightened location . There is an eatery/restaurant at the entrance where you can grab snack before you set out for walking . Entrance fee is 10/- and parking fee is also 10/- . If you are in Hubballi and not sure where to go in the evening then this is a good place to explore .

I am a resident of Jaipur and have been visiting lake for long walks ever since childhood. I have seen people from all walks of life come to lake for morning and evening walks. I like to walk the talk here with friends and family. The environment of the lake is very conducive for deep introspection. Watching the sunrise or sunset gives me an exhilarating experience and makes me feel one with God and Nature. Of late you can see the water shimmering like silver if you go around 5:30 or 6:00 pm and makes the whole area look so calm and serene and beautiful. At the other end of the lake there is now a Buddha Park with a very beautiful calm and serene statue of Lord Buddha in sitting pose. At the entrance you will find the lake club, restaurant, lots of vendors selling eatables, and a big play zone for kids where you can enjoy with kids. Also, there are ducks in the lake which you can feed or go for a boat ride. There are plenty of things to do here. It has become an activity centre for people. All in all an enjoyable experience.

Take a break from busy city schedule and head towards this place for a day out with some amazing activities to refresh for mind and some amazing food to tickle your pallet.
In my recent visit to this place I was stunned by the fact how neatly they have organised and fine details towards interest of audience.
Spread over more than 35 acres of land you may get tired but the entertainment will not stop. I am sure you'll love the food and hospitality this place offers.
Very important factor of this place is their work force who are very courteous towards the visitors and are so friendly giving you a homely vibe which you wish the day should never end.
You'll get to see the roots of village life filled the great hospitality, genuine care and atmost attension which you strive for in a typical city routine.
* Food is awesome
* Washrooms well maintained
* Ample of parking space
* Loads of activities
* Pricing is just fine
* Well organised setup
* Lots of staff to guide you
If I could give one feedback that would be not to use animals for the sake of activities and entertainment. Bullock cart and camel rides are used by villagers since they don't have alternatives, using them here would not be fair in my opinion.

Games for kids, variety of rides, artificial rain, magic show, pottery making and many more activities.
Overall a good place to spend a day with your close ones.

I would like to call this "Nature retreat camp".
A private farm very well maintained with descent options for refreshment which includes authentic, classic style or you may call it ethnic style recreational activities.
For 650 rs you'll be served best in the class North Karnataka food (lunch), dosa for breakfast, and some snacks in the evening. All these are unlimited.
Horse riding, horse chariot, boating, circus, puppet show etc are some of the activities to name.
If you want to go for 1 day outing especially for the people looking for orthodox style retreats then this is the place.

It's a great place for entertainment!

The experience was quite nice. It's a good getaway for those living in South Karnataka, but those in North Karnataka might feel this to be a very mediocre thing. The overall ambience, atmosphere and rural setting was amazing, but the food was very forgettable. During Summers, eating should be a pleasant affair, but it turned out to be tiring. Also, the rain dance arena could have been a little more closer and better with areas dedicated for kids, women and men separately. The music for the rain dance was also not very kid-friendly. Music played at such loud volume could cause some serious damage to little kids who just want to enjoy a little dance in the rain-like atmosphere. Rest, there's a lot of scope to improve the environment.

Agadi Thota was a novel experience for us. The place served tasty North Karnatakan food and had various activities to keep you engaged throughout the day. My daughter loved interacting with the animals and seeing things like goli soda, barbecued sweet potato, bullock carts, hand-juiced sugarcane, napping chairs, etc. which one doesn't see much of, nowadays. Would advise anyone to reach as early as possible to enjoy maximum.

Shri Marikamba Temple in Sirsi is an ancient Hindu temple renowned for its stunning Kaavi murals. Erected in 1688, it reveres the goddess Durga and draws an enormous crowd of devotees during its biennial fair held in March. The fair is one of Karnataka's most significant events. The temple is open from 6 am to 9 pm daily, with Tuesdays and Fridays being ideal times to visit.
Easily, the most synonymous of the landmarks with the town of Sirsi.
The huge temple looks very pleasing to the eyes with those red murals, of Konkani architecture, adorning on the white background of the walls.
The current day building was built in the late 17th century. The temple courtyard can hold hundreds of pilgrims at given point in time.
The town of Sirsi is one of the cultural and heritage centres of Karnataka and this temple is the centre stone of the town.

Shree Marikamba Devi is a very powerful Goddess of Sirsi🙏🏻
You can experience the powerful positive vibes here.
The architecture and paintings of the temple is unique and graceful.
As per the people,In ancient days bull was offered to Devi at the time of Sirsi Fair as per the ancient customs. Once Devi was not ready to come to her place of fair called 'Gadduge' , Bhagavan Shreedhar Swamiji came into this place , the devotees prayed to calm down Devi , So Swamiji Sprayed the Teertha and Devi beacame calm and she came to her Gadduge' easily after that process.

An awe-inspiring gem of history and spirituality, the Marikamba Temple in Sirsi, built in 1688, exudes an irresistible aura of devotion and culture. The captivating idol of Devi Marikamba, resembling her presence in the very room, leaves one speechless. While cameras remain stilled by the sanctity within, the temple's grandeur and intricate wall art create an experience beyond words. As I wandered through its ancient corridors, I couldn't help but feel the weight of time and tradition. The temple's significance stretches far beyond its breathtaking architecture; it was here that the buffalo sacrifices ceased thanks to Mahatma Gandhi's intervention, marking a turning point in our culture. The biannual Jatra, attended by countless devotees, underscores its importance as a spiritual epicenter. The contrast of the modern exterior against the timeless interior adds to its mystique, a subtle reminder of the passage of time. To experience this haven of divinity, secure your puja tickets in advance, for the temple buzzes with life within. And as you exit, don't forget to embrace the tradition of not looking back after praying in the smaller adjoining temple. A visit to Sirsi remains incomplete without paying homage to this sacred sanctuary that encapsulates centuries of reverence and transformation.

Sirsi Marikamba Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Marikamba Devi ( Durga Devi ), located in Sirsi, Karnataka, It is also known as Marigudi, It was built in 1688, Sirsi Shri Marikamba Devi is "elder sister" of all Marikamba Devi's in Karnataka. The temple's façade, a 19th-century addition, is painted blue. After one enters through the façade, there is courtyard in the middle, which has cloisters surrounding it. The cloisters are filled with images of deities from the Hindu epics. The changes made inside the temple have hidden any evidence of older structures. The sanctum sanctorum has the central image of a fierce form of the goddess Durga, multi-armed (eight shoulders[6]), riding a tiger and killing a demon. It is believed[by whom?] that the 7-foot-tall (2.1 m) image was retrieved from a pond on the road to Hangal. The temple has very special paintings of murals in Kaavi art, an art form which was popular in the coastal Konkan region of Karnataka. In this art form, now extinct, the top plastered layer of the mural was first dyed with a red pigment, which when removed revealed a lower white layer of plaster over which the murals were created. The main priest at the temple belongs to the carpenter, or Vishvakarma, caste.[6][8] Mahatma Gandhi visited Sirsi in 1934 but he refused to visit the temple, as animal sacrifice was a prevalent ancient practice at the temple; the sacrifice was in the form of offering of he-buffalo as a sacrifice to appease the goddess.[6] A he-buffalo was specially bred for offering as a sacrifice to the deity during the biennial Rathayatra. Following the protest by Gandhi, there was a social movement in the town to abolish animal sacrifice, this movement was spearheaded by Keshwain, chief trustee of the temple, in association with Vitthal Rao Hodike, a teacher and dedicated Gandhian of the town. objectives of this movement were fulfilled.[The Sirsi Marikamba jaatre (chariot procession) of the deity is held every alternate year in the month of March and taken through the town. It is attended by a very large number of devotees. It is also most famous and biggest fair (jaatre) of the South India. Devotees from all around the state participate in this enormous event indulging themselves in the procession. Amusements for children, circuses, variety of shops, dramas and plays and many such things are set up for the people. It depicts the story of the goddess killing mahishasura.

I visited banavasi for this very temple alone. Was fascinated by the history of banavasi, and this temple is a key component of that history. As old temples go, this temple is relatively small. The main road leading towards the temple is huge and makes it easy to visualise the surroundings when it was built in the 9th century. The inside of the temple has retained that 1000 year feel and grand you. The Shiva Linga is unique, and the stone slab on which the idol is placed caught my fascination... Is extremely modern-artly. The other idols are quite old worldly as well. Very beautiful carvings on all the walls. It is an absolute must do for temple and old world structure lovers. Go visit it.

Shimoga Zoo & Safari is a wildlife sanctuary that offers visitors the chance to see lions, tigers, and other large felines, as well as rare birds and primates. The park has undergone significant renovations and added several new animal species. One of the main attractions is the black panther in the zoo section. Although there are fewer tigers and lions than before, they appear to be healthier.
We had a wonderful experience in Safari,
We were able to find Lion male and female, tiger male and female, 3 types of deer and byson. We went to Safari by bus, it was about 30 mins. We were so lucky to see a lion so near.
Well maintained safari place with proper safety.
They charged 200 ₹for adults and 80 ₹for children.
Though we went only for safari, Zoo entry fees are a must.
Recommended to take food from home or Have it outside before planning. No good hotels available to have nearby. Inside food options are available but we didn't taste it.

Lion safari is a good place to show kids about animals and birds. From the last time I have seen this place it has improved a lot, infrastructure wise. There is separate fee for zoo and safari. It’s better if we take both the tickets. Food court is there, some basic foods are available but it’s not at all maintained well. Kids will love this place for sure.
One thing is I feel sad by seeing animals behind the cage

Shivamogga Zoo and Safari is an incredible wildlife experience. The highlight is the opportunity to see lions and tigers up close, sometimes just two hands away, if luck is on your side. The unique aspect here is the caged safari for visitors while these majestic creatures roam freely in their designated areas.
For an enhanced experience, I recommend opting for the car safari over the bus. It provides a more intimate connection with the wildlife. To make the most of your visit, plan to go early in the morning when the animals are most active. Shivamogga Zoo and Safari is a thrilling adventure for animal lovers and an excellent family outing.

We went to Safari only in bus( 150₹ adult and 75₹ kid). We need to pay zoo fee (50₹ for adult and 20₹ to kid) even though you don't want to visit Zoo. Safari had only Lion, Tiger and Different kids of Deer. However we saw good amount Tiger and Lion. Safari was max 20 minutes.Bus quality is good . You have Jeep Safari too (2000₹), but it's not worth given the Safari is so less animal. Can go ones. As we had to pay the Zoo before entering, we did had a glance of the Zoo. However the walking lane not recommended for elderly people in few areas.

Nice and clean environment around a zoo area but least Amount of animals are there and there are many of them not to be seen then in the place don't know why?
But it is always a better place to have fun with family and friends, there is a parking spot to park your any type of vehicle and as a best drinking water facility and a good and cleaned rest room available.
But the entry ticket for an adult is 80 rupees and for children (4<14) are 40 rupees it's a fair price for all day enjoyment. Yes! Extra money for camera.
To go on safari we need to pay 200 rupees per person a little higher but fair.

If taking individual tickets which is cheaper there will be waiting time until the bus is full.

Large historical fort on the base of rocky hills with many doors & carvings at the main entrance.
An excellent place and a historic heritage spot. The area of fort is large, hilly and beautiful. The view from the top most point is breath taking. steps are not easy to take. Remember to carry an umbrella or a hat with you while visiting this monument…Overall it was an amazing experience🤩🌅

Good experience visiting the place
During summer, recommended to visit in the early hours
At the entrance, you can hire a good guide who will explain the history -- highly recommended.
You will have to pay entry fee of rs20 per person. This has been made online by scanning a QR code and then filling the form.
There are guards who will assist you in this.
Cafeteria is available inside for snacks and cooling off the heat with cold water or juice or butter milk 🥛
Do note: flying drone is restricted here.
They will not allow you to carry it inside.

Good place to visit with family or friends. Easily accessible. Fee only 25 for Indian citizens.
Fort spread on several hills. Scene from hills is beautiful. Usually it takes 3 to 4 hrs to complete visit.
Fort opens from 6AM to 6PM.
Best times are early morning.

Amazing place. Can spend a whole day here if you are interested in exploring each and every bit of the cave.
Most places have a brief information board next to it. Having a guide is subjective. He will tell you a few more points and significances which isn't there at the display board. Climbing to the top of the rock is not a very easy task, can go at your own risk. View from top is amazing!
Entry ticket ₹25 can be purchased at entry gates.
Place is clean and we'll maintained.

Lots of history with this place! People will chase you to get a guide to show places.. 😀
Entry - 20 per head
Photography lovers will love this place. Adding some pics below.
It's marvelous to see how they build the walls with such big rocks, which are aligned beautifully. It has some 7 big doors kinda entry.
I guess, the place looks more beautiful in a cloudy day than a rainy one.. we can spend 2-3 hours here and definitely a good walking exercise 😀
It gets crowded after 10-11 AM. Suggest to enter in the morning..
parking is free on the roadside..
There are some local vendors if need any snacks or drinks. Mayura would be the only option if need a proper meals..
Overall great experience.

Must visit place to know about history, given 5 star as everyone should visit this place once.
More people if visit then popularity increases and government will spend more money to maintain it well.
Big place to walk around so you need 2 to 3 hours to complete it. Local guide will be helpful. It has beautiful history and you need to virtually dream it when you would be visiting every point how our history would have been.
Enjoy the beautiful photos and videos.

Chitradurga Fort is an architectural marvel that encapsulates centuries of history. The intricate design, featuring seven concentric walls and integrated natural rock formations, reflects the strategic brilliance of its builders. The massive boulders not only contribute to its defense but also lend a unique aesthetic. A must-visit for history enthusiasts and those seeking to marvel at ingenious fortress architecture. Loved the early climb up the fort! Opens at 6am and best time to go up is early morning. Vast fort, numerous temples and walkways. If ASI can have audio guides at disposal- would be fantastic. Can make a day visit! Definitely a must visit. It is a archaeological Marvel, we cannot imagine how our ancestors have built this fortress without the access of now-a-day's modern advanced equipment. The walls are huge and powerful. There are couple of temples dedicated to different gods and goddesses. From the top of the hill we could see the part Chitradurga district.

Beautiful fort maintained normally but efforts should be taken to make it far better. The way to fort is so narrow to reach and parking is small. Weekdays are mostly free while comparing to weekends it’s almost little crowded. You can opt for guide with multilingual skills and may charge you around 200-1000 it’s not a fixed one as the trust has not taken any actions. It takes approximately 1-4hours to explore the entire fort, it’s vastly spread with more details. Best for students to explore and experience the old civilisation. There are proper dustbins placed in all places where we can keep the fort near and clean. Also fresh refrigerated water dispenser in most places and toilet facilities for both genders. A must visit place for people who wants to explore new places and learn history of India.

1. Must visit place if visiting to chitradurga.
2. You need to buy ticket online at entrance. Carry u'r government Id or remember the ID number. It's needed while purchasing ticket online. Ticket cost = Rs. 20.
3. Wear good gripped shoes & comfortable cloth because it may take 1 day to cover the allowed places in Fort.
4. Don't go on the top of hill if you're not confident.
5. Carry snacks & water & please don't litter & save the Fort.
6. The Fort is well maintained but only thing is people do littering and it affects the overall heritage. Dustbins are provided at every step please use that.
7. There is a great story for every temple, cave, etc. inside the Fort. It's written there. Please read it at it's important to know the history as well.
8. There are few toilets inside. There are water filters installed at several places. But the water is not good. So please carry your own water bottles.

Don't follow crowd if you want to see every bit of it.
Maps have been given in every corner it is a great help if you want to see all of it. Carry water as much as possible. Even though there is one shop inside better to carry water.

Located about 2-3 hours drive from Bengaluru this temple is a beautiful place to visit .
This temple is dedicated to Lord Veerabhadra and temple architecture style is of Vijayanagara era temples. This temple has many sculptures and fresco's . Main attraction in this temple is the hanging pillar and Shiv Linga on a serpent.
Few cars can be parked near entrance of this temple and parking charge are RS 50 per car. During afternoon it will be difficult to walk in this temple as it gets very hot . Found only a hotel and restaurant of Andhra Pradesh government where families can go for food and stay. It may be difficult to reach this temple using public transport so it will be better to take a taxi to reach this temple. Non Hindus are allowed inside this temple.

I'll never travel to Bengaluru without this trip planner again
The Lepakshi Nandi temple features a striking granite sculpture of Nandi, the sacred bull of Lord Shiva. It's located two hours from Bangalore and is best visited during the day due to safety concerns at night. The road leading to the temple is well-maintained and free of potholes. Visitors can explore the open park-like setting beyond 6pm but should refrain from climbing on the statue.
Simply awesome...one of the largest monolithic , single stone Nandi in india....this is about 400m from the Lepakshi veerabhadra temple ...it supposedly looks straight at the 7 hooded serpent in the temple who guards the shiv ling...a must visit place just for the magnanimity of the architecture

This is a good place to visit, especially for those from Bangalore since it is hardly 2 hour journey (including traffic/rainy weather). Best way to plan is for a morning to afternoon visit and return before it gets dark. The route is not safe during nights especially when we want to drive a car at high speeds. The roads are well maintained though and we saw almost no potholes along the lepakshi road from the big arc. This bull statue is open beyond 6pm as it is an open place. It feels more like a park and many people were trying to climb it.

The temple is very beautiful. The temple is around 500 years old and is a pure ancient architectural beauty. The place is just 2 hours drive away from Bangalore. We can very well make a one day plan to this place and return by afternoon if we start by morning 8. There is a garuda statue at the entrance. But were not allowed nearby for reasons unknown even after paying them to see the place. The parking and restrooms are pricey. 10 Rs. Just to enter the toilet irrespective of what you do inside. There is enough parking space. Would have been better if the management improve the temple instead of being money minded.

Legend has it that the statue was constructed during the Vijayanagara Empire's reign in the 16th century. Apart from its religious significance, the Lepakshi Nandi serves as a testament to the architectural brilliance of that era.

This is well worth a trip. The temple itself is beautiful and well cared for, but there are also plenty of souvenir stalls outside. Don’t miss the biggest Nandi (bull) on the way in and the new bird perched on the hilltop. One of the biggest nadi statute and this one is quite different one, as we can see face is slightly upwards due to a sense of Maga Shiva linga in front of it.
This is located right next to main road which is goes towards lepakshi town/village and around 300-400 away from the main temple.
Basic amenities are present inside premises like drinking water , restrooms and small green garden and amole seating benches.

At a distance of 500 m from Lepakshi Bus Stand and 500 m from Sri Veerabhadra Temple (Lepakshi Temple), Lepakshi Nandi (Bull) is one of the main attractions in Lepakshi and a well-known landmark for the tourism of Lepakshi. It was built during Vijayanagara period when the main Veerabhadra Temple was built.
The Lepakshi Nandi is made out of single granite. The monolithic Nandi sculpture is said to be the second largest monolithic structure in India after Gomateshwara in Shravanabelagola. It is 20 feet in height and 30 feet in length. The Nandi statue is decorated with a necklace, muvvalahara, a bell chain with small horns.
It is noticeable that the head of the bull is held aloft at a higher angle than usual. In addition, the expression of submission, which is typical of Nandi before Shiva, is not seen in the statue here.
This big granite bull is situated on the main road beside AP Tourism Haritha resort. It has been positioned such that it faces the 18 ft Nagalinga in Veerabhadra Temple Complex.

This old temple is inside a village and a divine representation of Indian culture, religious values and mythological history. A beautiful place to spend a couple of hrs. The stone carved structures and pillars are admirable. The only point of resentment is the paintings on ceilings are being worn out by time which should be preserved and restored. The govt should maintain the temple and cleanliness. It's not that we get to see such valuable pieces of our history often.

Plan recommendation: I would recommend to visit Jatayu Theme Park first then Nandi and then Temple. Temple takes around 2-3 hours based on your interest in architecture and history.
We visited temple first around 8 AM, Breakfast at 10:30 AM, Nandi around 11 AM, Jatayu Theme Park around 11:30 AM. But then it became very hot for Theme Park as it's open area.
Specifications: Monolithic Nandi means carved out of 1 stone. Big structure with intricate carvings.
A huge granite Nandi (bull), 20 feet (6.1 m) in height and 30 feet (9.1 m) in length.

In the enchanting town of Lepakshi, where every stone whispers tales of history and devotion, stands the awe-inspiring Monolithic Nandi Statue—a colossal masterpiece that beckons visitors into the heart of artistic brilliance and spiritual grandeur.
Situated a mere 200 meters away from the temple, this gigantic statue of Nandi, affectionately known as Basavanna, commands attention with its regal presence. The seated bull, adorned with a resplendent necklace and a garland of bells, gazes with unwavering devotion towards the Nagalingeshwara sculpture inside the temple, creating a sacred connection between the divine entities.
What sets this statue apart is its sheer scale—standing tall at a height of 15 feet and stretching an impressive 27 feet in length, it proudly claims its status as the largest monolithic stone Nandi statue in the country. As sunlight dances upon its exquisitely carved form, the Nandi exudes a timeless charm, inviting visitors to witness the perfect harmony of nature's canvas and human craftsmanship.
The meticulous attention to detail is evident in every inch of this majestic structure. The perfectly-proportioned body, the intricately carved ornaments, and the smooth contours tell a story of skilled artisans who breathed life into stone. As tourists stand in awe before this colossal creature, it becomes more than just a sculpture; it becomes a living testament to the artistic prowess and devotion that define Lepakshi's cultural heritage.
Photographers and art enthusiasts alike find solace in capturing the essence of this monolithic marvel. The interplay of light and shadow on the Nandi's finely crafted features creates a visual symphony, offering a moment frozen in time that transcends the boundaries of history and art.
Visiting the Monolithic Nandi Statue in Lepakshi is not just a sightseeing experience; it is a pilgrimage into the heart of artistic brilliance and spiritual reverence. It serves as a reminder that in the hands of skilled craftsmen, stone can transform into a living, breathing masterpiece that resonates with the soul of a culture. As you stand in the shadow of this monumental creation, you can't help but feel the echo of centuries past—a timeless connection between art, devotion, and the eternal spirit of Basavanna.

Soaring mountain peak known for its temples, sacred sculptures & sweeping views.
Moderate to difficult trek. You might feel exhausted during the trek. But you will experience its worthiness when you reach the peak. Morning 6 to 10 is the best time to trek and see some foggy views. (Visited in july)
Trek time: 1:15 hr
Best time to visit: 6AM to 10AM
Please don’t throw plastic. Use dustbins.

It's a Religious place more than trekking.
Trekking length and difficulty is good but crowded.
Avoid going there in January for trekking because of crowd.
View is great from the top.
There are 4-5 temple in trek.
Very high Religious significance of that place arround locals.

One of the best Trekking spot for mid-level trekkers. Never forget to take a stick with you to keep away monkeys.
Final peak trek is a bit difficult because of steep and very narrow steps. If you have any back bag or food item then, beware of moneks they ll come anytime to pickup.
There are shops to have snacks and buy drinking water.
Binny gan — Google review
Suitable trekking spot for beginners, one can easily get to the peak around 60 minutes. Be careful about the monkeys around, it’ll always try to snatch your backpack looking for food. If possible, try not to carry any backpacks, as it is food stalls are available at various check points through the ascend.

Nice hill, with intermediate stops in between. The uphill time is 3 hours and the downhill time is 1.5 hours approx. There are enough refreshment shops available till the mid-hill, and one shop at the top. But the trekking is strenuous during summer, unless started very early in the morning. There are good village type hotels at the entrance.

Overall: Fantastic and very much exciting trek.
Difficulty:Between High to Very High. Not recommend for kids, senior citizens and people with knee problems. Wear trek pants or half pant(recommend for trek) so that your knees are well supported.
A proper trek shoe is must along with other accessories such as sun glasses and hat. You can’t manage an umbrella there as you have to climb by holding the railings. Be careful of monkeys and they are the most smartest creature you will find there. They put hand inside your pocket and take out the mobile, wallet, etc. Even they open the backpack zips to check.
Each one would need 2 to 3 ltrs of water. Not to worry as you have plenty local shops up to the top who supplies all needed item to hydrate your self.It is advisable to carry one bottle of water always. If you are starting early, you wouldn’t find many shops open, so have back up plan.
Start time-I recommend you start climbing early by 6-7AM. You should be back by 11AM. Wear you shoes while you start entering the temple as the steps starts from there and you have to take a diversion after climbing 100 steps. It is allowed up to go to the point and take left from there. Else again you have to come down to take the shoes.
Pulak Das — Google review
Awesome trekking place near bangalore, the climb across different levels of the hill is exciting and the surrounding scenery is breath taking. The trail is straightforward and well marked with proper steps. The last stretch climb is a little steep but rails are in place and its not too difficult.
Parking near the temple can be a hassle as the day progresses but there is ample parking space nearby where you can park and walk back. Vendors with food stall are available along the trek route as the day progresses but not if you start very early in the morning, but atleast on the way back you will have something to drink or munch on. At the very top, monkeys are a menace, dont leave anything out or in their eyesight or it will disappear. I saw 2 folks lose their bags as the monkeys carried them away.
Overall its a good and enjoyable trek that can be enjoyed by all age groups. Would suggest to avoid during summers as it can get really hot, ideal time would be after monsoons when the landscape is lush green.

I was lucky to be submerged in fog even at 12 PM. Such a lovely place. There's a stretch where the stairs are too steep and be careful around the monkeys if you've any eatables or bag.
P.S. Please don't litter, use dustbins

This was my first trekking experience ,the first half of the track was easy but the second half was bit challenging for me.
If you are nature lover and also love to do something challenging then this place is for you .
I would advise please don't carry any food items or bags with you because there are lots of monkeys who can snatch your food or throw away your bags.

Fantastic place to visit and spend some good time. Trekking is not that hard. Try to reach the place as early as possible to experience awesome views on top of the hill. And please maintain cleanliness. 🙏🏾 I saw there is so much garbage thrown here & there which literally killed beauty of this place.
Note: Beware of monkey’s. :)

Complete the trek challenging yourself. Do not litter. Trek level is moderate.
Start as early as possible to avoid burning sun.
Park vehicles in reserved parking to avoid blocking roads or getting damaged to your vehicles.
Ample parking space is available and it leads to temple entrance.

Excellent trek just outside Bangalore. Awesome view during monsoons...though it was very breezy ..but thoroughly enjoyed the solo trek...thankfully it didn't rain that time.
Monkeys were in abundance and few of the supporting rails are broken so be aware of monkeys snatching any items resembling food...n be careful esp after mid point as slope gets steeper.
SK (The Seeker) — Google review
Moderate Trek, Good grip shoes are a must.
Carry a selfie stick or a regular stick to save yourself from monkeys.
They always try to snatch your bags.
If you are lucky you can have annaprasadam at temple.

Best place for one day trekking from Bangalore... It will take upto 2 - 2½ hrs to claim the mountain... 1 hr for comeback
Only when you have 20% to go to the top of the hill will you feel a little strained
You can enjoy it if you are going with frds...
Warning :
1. water bottle is mandatory.. else there you can buy a little huge amount
2. Be careful from monkeys... Don't show there that you are a pet lover... Some of them lost their mobile phone or bag backs... Don't keep anything in your shirt pocket

Heres my complete experience today on a saturday hope it helps to guide. It was a wonderful trek worth it the top view, took around 2 hours to climb and much faster while descending back down 1hr 45 around. Try to start the trek accordingly so you finish it and are back down by 5pm before dark and atleast enjoy good 20mins on the peak. The trek is quite simple easy, could see many grandmas reaching the very top you just need to have the zealth to reach the top and om namashivaya, you'll reach there. Only one part will slow you down the steep ascend with small steps just watch out not to slip. Good thing there are rails for support through out the trek making it better and safer. On the note monkeys here are clever but not mad attackers they're fearless and will try to snatch covers away from you even climb on you to inspect your bags for food so yeah don't be scared and never be dumb to hit them try to tackle. Stick with a group or best carry a water bottle and ditch the bags you'll find snack shops throughout the trek (prices are slightly higher). The top of the very mountain has a superb view, 2 temples and two stambas one big nandi. Some have a belief if you through a coin and it lands right on top of the stamba your wish may come TRUE check out the video. There is a spot on peak behind temple that is much more peaceful most people miss it out check out the pic and video. Spend quality time on top enjoy and be back before dark I just laid down on the top. I find the trek is worth the top view and the journey to the peak itself.
Decide and becareful cautious on whether or not to trek on rainy days dunno hows its on rainy days safe or not to trek. It's not challenging like savanadurga you can make it but always look into your current situation you may win a battle if not be back strong to win it again. It's easy trek only bro don't worry. Check them pics and videos out. If your planning to visit just go it's nice.

A great place for 1 day hike. Has stairs all the way. Includes continuous climbing but has railings which help. The last stretch is quite testing and not for the fainthearted. Best would be to leave early and start climbing before 9am so that you can spend ample time at the top and return back before the sun gets too hot.

Temple is very huge, peaceful, pleasant and full of grand ancient architecture. 3 entrances are there, half day trip from Bangalore. Small food stalls are available outside but go with family or friends take your lunch and eat it outside under huge trees like picnic. The water pond outside and well inside need strict maintenance. Just positive vibes. Park vehicle outside the main gate only. Worthy visit in Karnataka. Many monkeys are roaming inside temple premises, be careful. I wish there is some guidance to understand about the sculptures on walls and pillars.

One of the must visit ancient and famous Shiva temples near Bangalore. This is 1000+ year old temple. Sculptures are so unique, the entire temple is carved or built on stones. It’s a marvel to watch, divine by the presence of Lord Shiva.

This is an underrated place, which is good and peaceful in its own way. The area is big enough with multiple temple and historical figures. Must visit place on the way to Adi Yogi temple. It’s a very peaceful place to hangout as well and take beautiful pictures. The architecture is beautiful, especially with the engravings and detailings. Please carry some cash for giving puja in the various temples. The toilet is not great, they have the new ones installed but not in use. Also, you get to see and feed monkeys

The temple is a cultural treasure for India 🇮🇳 home to mind blowing architecture and heritage that still stands the test of time. Despite the lack of responsible attention from the government the temple is in great shape and home to amazing aspects of Hindu heritage. It is a must visit experience and the intricacies of stone carvings can be mesmerising. If you plan a visit ensure to spend atleast 2-3 hours so that you can absorb the details. The place has ample parking and is family friendly. I have fond memories of visiting the place 10 years ago. Some of the places need immediate attention and renovation. If you visit, kindly keep the place clean and avoid littering the place.

Bhoganandeshwara Temple
Nandigrama, nestled at the foothills of Nandi on the outskirts of Bengaluru houses a majestic 9th-century temple dedicated to Lord Shiva called as the Boganandeshwara Devasthana. The sprawling complex boasts intricately carved pillared mantapas inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the grandeur of Dravidian architecture. This temple is a testament to the artistic finesse believed to be built during Rastrakuta dynasty rule. Among its treasures a serene stepwell known as Pushkarni/Kakyani offers a tranquil retreat, while a dedicated area for weddings adds a touch of privacy and sacredness to matrimonial celebrations. Exploring the temple grounds is akin to embarking on a journey through time, where each stone whispers tales of devotion and craftsmanship from centuries past.
Full day Itinerary from Bengaluru - Starting the day with a scenic drive to breathtaking Nandi Hills, visit Yoganandeshwara temple on the Hill top and Bhoganandeshwara temple at the foothills. Head to a nearby Vineyard and visit a flower orchard. Finally end your day with a delicious meal at a local restaurant from the surrounding area.
Other places to include in this visit can be Rangasthala temple, Muddenahalli (birth place of Sir.M. Vishweshvariah) museum, Isha - Sadhguru Sannidhi.
We had the pleasure of hosting a colleague from our office who was visiting from Germany. Her reaction to the heritage site was absolutely priceless – she was utterly captivated by its charm and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of her visit.

Place is nicely maintained and very hygienic. Lawn and little lake outside the temple is very beautiful. The Shiva statue near the lake is nice too. The temple is not crowded when I visited during the weekend and you can easily spend 1hr here. Must visit and you can plan this temple as well along with Aadiyogi.
Taking photos is not allowed inside the temple. Paid shoe stand is available. Plenty of parking available around the temple for both 2 & 4 wheelers.

Amazing place to visit. You can see three dynasties of architecture. There is so much to see, including signs of how it became a place to stay. It’s a good sized complex with more than one dancing area, although some of the floor stones had been removed from the older part. Do look up to see the frescoes dating from the 16th century, and don’t miss the 16th century parade cart outside, carved to look like the temple itself. This place is well worth a trip.

Good to visit once. Probably a must visit for wine lovers as people get to taste at the end of the vinery tour. The actual vineyard is a kilometer far and one can visit that if interested. Though we did not taste wine there but we enjoyed tasty lunch and got to know the process of wine making. Heard that Feb and March months are the best time to visit as that's when harvesting happens. Kids are also allowed to take the tour. Suggest to go over cab if planning to taste wine. Road connectivity is good.

Reserved the place on Wednesday for Sunday.
There are many false information and zero courtesy from staff.
1. Weekend prices on their webpage was different to what's offered and that's was very high. Secondly reservation had no value and the staff attending said they called and informed about the price change which they never did.
2. Option was to go with higher price wine tour against what we booked. That was expensive.
3. Food prices in the menu are quite diff to what's offered.
4. With all these, zero discounts offered and we were 8 adults and 4 kids. They made us wait fir 10 mins as they would check on discounts and returned empty hand
5. With standard set food menu and the tour , cost came to about 3000 per head × 8 adults.
Beware if you are visiting as the cost is quite high for 20 min tour and food.

Overall the food was excellent and the tour as well. No complaints apart from cost variations and staff attitude.

Great place for an one day outing around the city. We booked an Uber to the place and enlisting ourselves in the wine tour for the day there, the tour guide took us through the barrel room and cellos, and ended the tour with a wine tasting session. While the guide seemed to be not very enthusiastic while giving the tour (which made us enjoy the tour a lesser than we should have), the tastings session was informative and fun. The vineyards have a set menu for veg and non veg that contains the main course which is mostly steak and dessert to order along the wine which you can buy there on discount. The vibe is relaxing and overall a fun experience. One of the better vineyards in the city I would say.
