What an experience! We went last November and we hiked for three hours going up and also going down. I am a beginner when it comes to hiking and I would say that this place is suitable for beginners! Just make sure to be covered adequately and make sure to have water-resistant trekking shoes during the winter as the snow gets to be thick. Along the way you will be seeing some falls and lots of great panoramic views so make sure to charge your phone! There were times when you can choose to have a 'shortcut' but these routes tend to be more difficult and could be a better way for those who are skilled hikers. You can also bring your ski gear as we've seen people skiing down the slopes. The people we met along the way were really nice and friendly! Upon reaching the top, my mind was blown. It was really beautiful and the hike was definitely worth it. Make sure to bring snacks (we had celebratory hotdogs upon reaching the peak) and enough water for the whole hike. A must visit and I would really recommend this to everyone!

MUST VISIT if you’re traveling to the Dolomites. Pay the toll (€25). The drive to the top offers stunning views. There’s plenty of parking with easy access to beautiful trail that are wide and well maintained. Bring plenty of water, wear good shoes, and you’ll be fine. Spend the day hiking between huts.

Honestly, I think this is far better than Seceda. Easy hikes with tons of great routes. Constantly surrounded by phenomenal views. A must see. Definitely check which route you want to do ahead of time and know what you’re going to do for parking.
If you’re using this for gps to get there, always find the address for where you’re parking instead and use that.
Katie Bevacqua — Google review
Wow, what a place. Even though we had a lot of clouds and rain. When it cleared up it was truly magical! The loop hike is doable for everyone. I would recommend this as it is so beautiful.
Jorn Langeveld — Google review
Awesome views. Long but not so hard hike for a round trip.
I'd recommend climbing 5 to 10 minutes up, to avoid the crowds a bit.
It was really crowded, but the valley is large, so it was not that annoying anymore after reaching the first ledge.
Dennis S — Google review
Amazing place for hiking and taking pictures.
Easy to get to by car, entrance fee 30 euro.
Ekaterina Koryakova — Google review
This has been the most beautiful hike of my holiday in Italy. Weather check is a must before planning your hike as it was rainy and foggy in the morning and within 30 mins it was sunny. There are different parking spaces which charge around €30 and whether it is vacant or not is already displayed. You have to plan an early morning hike as it gets crowded as time passes, yet again advisable to take an anti-clockwise hike so that you can see the tri cime peaks first and then a beautiful valley. There is a refreshment hut when you exactly reach the midway, you can sip coffee/beer to chill but it is advisable to carry your own food as the restaurant only takes up your time. The loo at the restaurant is not at all clean so the hygienist are advised to use the pay and use WC. It’s a beautiful hike and can be completed within 3 hours. Amazing views and great cardio… loved it :)

We travelled with the shuttlebus, perfect choice because its very busy and no easy drive with the car, beautiful hiking and breath taking views…no easy walk, specially rolling slippery stones…and cold wind even when its sunny day and good weather, so take good clothes with you

Really nice resort with good ski slopes, well organized lifts, and stunning views everywhere you look at. One can definitely enjoy and spend a few days without feeling any sort of borrringnes around. Will come back for sure.

Our first visit to the Dolomites and this hike gave us an incredible introduction. We went counter clockwise from 101 to 105. The hike started out so foggy but cleared for an absolute wonderful day. This was our all time favorite hike!!!!

If you want to go up by car you have to be early, we arrived at 10.30 and could only go by bus from Misurina. Which was fine, the road up was still very nice. The view of the drei zinnen was amazing and the walk was nice and easy. Though in my opinion way to busy. Tourist busses go up and down and you'll notice it during the walk. We were constantly overtraking people who walked slowely and stopped in the middle of paths etc. Other than that, great experience.

Tre Cime is a great hike. We arrived early at the car park (around 8am in early July) and there was around 300 spaces left. It cost €30 but it was well worth it. The hike to Tre Cime has a great path and has huts along the way for a drink or some food. At the top of the saddle you get great views. The walk to this point took us around 45 minutes and the views were spectacular. We didn’t do the full loop as we went to Cadini viewpoint in the morning which is 100% worth doing when at Tre Cime.

MUST VISIT if you’re traveling to the Dolomites. To access this you have to pay the toll (€30).
The road up the mountain is long and windy and offer some breathtaking views! We arrived in the afternoon at about 2:30pm and there was still plenty of parking.
The trail is absolutely stunning, one side of the mountain is warm and green, the other cold, snowy and scarce, it’s such an amazing contrast!
The walk took us about 3 hours and it was 10km, and it was a bit challenging at times so make sure you wear good shoes and bring lots of water and you’ll be fine.
Beautiful!!

This is a must see and a must do if you are here at Dolomites. Long hike but absolutely worth it. Please make sure you are fit, if not it’s going to be tough. You will also be treated with beautiful views all around. No regrets doing this hike.
Bernie Chin — Google review
2-3 hour hike one way but worth it for that view! They also had snowmobile tours to take you to the top if you didn’t want to take the hike.
Elizabeth Scobercea — Google review
Fantastic area with beautiful views, highly recommend going here. We went this morning (10th October) and arrived at the carpark around 0730. Hardly any other people were there, lots of available parking at this time. We aimed to do the 10km loop but added on a few side paths so ended up walking about 14km in 4.5 hours. We never saw more than a couple of people at a time until we saw a big group at around 1100. When we left around 1230 the traffic was backed up all the way to the restaurant so definitely go early.
A couple of negative points - there was lots of used toilet paper on and around the track which was pretty gross. It may just be a cultural difference but everywhere else I have hiked people take all their rubbish home with them so this was confronting. The peacefulness was ruined a few times by people flying drones too, when they weren't there the space was silent and immense but when they were it was like being followed by an obnoxious mosquito. Would be great to ban them from this area. Still, deserves 5 stars because the views are truly incredible.

Beautiful views, however ruined by massive tourism (and yes, I was unfortunately part of it) and very poor organization.
I arrived at 8h and there was a sign that the park at the top was full. Thus I parked at the start of the trail (cost for one day 14€). When I arrived there was already some confusion but there was still place to park. After this the experience just got worse.
Only one machine to pay the park. There is also a bus that takes people to the top, the tickets cost 10€ per person. There was only one machine and the queue to buy tickets started to form quite fast. In addition there are already plenty of people waiting at the bus stop. I naively assumed this was a frequent bus, but after buying the ticket and waiting for the first bus, I realized how bad it is. The bus only comes every 30 minutes. It comes already with people from previous stops, and there were too many people at the parking bus stop.
I decided to sell the tickets and hike the trail to the hut, since I was not planning to wait for hours.
This was very poorly organized and definitely a tourist trap.
The hike took me around 1h40, which was faster than waiting for the bus.
The hike is crowded but there are areas a lot more quiet. As I said the views are nice, but not worth the stress and waiting. There are a lot other summits, with equally nice views.
The place is unfortunately ruined by mass tourism. I regret I contributed to it.

One of the best hikes I’ve ever been on. It’s very busy but it’s absolutely worth it and the views are amazing. It took us about 4 hours in total including lots of breaks to enjoy the views. There are some pretty steep bits but overall it’s not too difficult. Some of the paths in the shade were covered in ice so be careful and dress appropriately.
There are serval refugios along the way for food and drink. There are also toilets but they cost 50c.
We say something saying walking clockwise is best but everyone walked anti-clockwise so we just went with them. I honestly think it’s better to just go in the same direction as most people otherwise you’ll just be constantly trying to pass people coming the other way and it’s a bit narrow in points.
Henry Bowesman — Google review
The place is amazing. Although it was a cloudy day, we really enjoyed the hiking around the cliffs.
There are several hiking trails, with different dificulty.
As it was mentioned here, the parking costs 30 Eur.
Pragser Wildsee is a beautiful UNESCO world heritage site, with towering mountains and a deep blue color. It's also become quite a popular Instagram spot in the past few years. The most beautiful thing about this lake is that you can find many climbing opportunities nearby, making it an ideal destination for adventurers.
We visited in extra season, not crowded but a lot of hiking tracks closed. Lovely to walk by the lake

One of the most beautiful places I have ever bene! For sure It Is worth the visit. Important to Remember to book the parking before going, mainly in the weekends. The walking around the lake is easy also to go worth family, but with several stairs in the way.

Beautiful lake with stunning views and green water. Parking is a little costly. Not much to eat at the restaurant after 3 pm. Going around the lake takes roughly 2 hours. Worth visiting once.
Vikram Kothari — Google review
Perfectly beautiful lake, but the conditions for renting the boat is ridiculous. Why I need to pay also for magnet and postcard, when they have a proper souvenir shop with better selection just behind the corner..
stradivarius — Google review
Absolutely breathtaking. Would love to stay at the hotel next time I come. I recommend this place to anyone seeking holiday in the Dolomites.
Erik Covert — Google review
No words to express the beauty of this lake. It’s a jewel of Dolomites. Unlike other lakes in the Dolomites, this lake is easily accessible. Therefore, it can get very busy during the summer months. The hike around the lake is a must thing to do. The trail around the lake is easy and well maintained.
There is a very big car park but it’s expensive. There are a few places well before the lake where you can park but it’s a long walk to the lake.
If you are into landscape photography then sunrise would be a better option as there will be fewer people in the early morning.
Boat trips and photography on the boat deck are expensive too.
A highly recommended place!

Amazing place! Even in winter still worth a visit. The bistro on the lake is a treat. A quick tip, go to the toilet beforehand, otherwise be ready to pay for it. :P
Adriano Augusto Matheus — Google review
This is a wonderful place. Good parking. Unfortunately, still too many idiots that leave their litter. As dog owner, I don‘t understand those who bag up and then disregard the bag😡. Still the path around the lake is beautiful. Water level was a little low.
Craig McMain — Google review
Very stunning lake. I would highly recommend bringing crampons if you are wanting to walk around the lake as it is super icey and slippery at this time of the year (November). The car park is €35 for the entire day. No reception at the lake. There is also restaurant.
Anne-Marie Young — Google review
The most beautiful lake I have ever seen! It was in my bucket list for a long time ago! Loved every angle of this stunning scenery!
Angeliki Skandali — Google review
The moment I arrived in this place, I instantly fell in love because of the beauty that it holds. The scenery is just breathtaking and truly spectacular. Going to this place during the winter is truly magical and it looks like it straight up came from the movie Narnia. Me and my friends took some time taking pictures on this place and also had some fun playing with the snow. Make sure to wear comfortable trekking shoes that are water-resistant to fully enjoy this area! I also remember a wedding photoshoot was ongoing in the area and I am sure that the photos will really be amazing. Please visit this as soon as possible, a must!

This beautiful lake is overwhelmed by tourists during the day. However, there is plenty of space for everyone. Come early in the morning to avoid the crowd.

Beautiful place to go for a walk round a lake. Buy entry tickets online before you go, or go to the info area where there is a QR code you can scan and buy ticket.
Sandra Azzopardi — Google review
Amazing hike along the lake with beautiful viewing points and places to chill by the lake. The shore is rocky and so is the bottom of the lake which makes it have this wonderful green color. Do bring something to sit on as the rocks don’t make it comfortable. The hike takes around 2,5 hours and it can be done with regular shoes too. Quite popular so it will not be a quiet walk.
Oana Andrei — Google review
Gorgeous lake with mountain and a turquoise blue water. We took a walk around the lake and it took us around 1.5 hours stopping to take photos. We also had the pleasure to stay at the hotel on the lake and parking was redeemed with the stay. You can also rent a boat to take a ride on the lake for 30 minutes.
Connie Chen — Google review
Beautiful lake, very popular! Already early in the morning is full of photographers. Very easy to arrive! There is a hotel, souvernie shop and like a bar cafeteria right before the lake!
The views are just amazing, you can hike around, which I recommend doing :)
The boat station opens from 10 am, although I saw a couple who got married, they could I imagine rent the place earlier for a photo session!
The place is worth no matter what!

Stunning turquoise lake that is sheltered by multiple Dolomite mountains. There is an hour walk around the lake, which is beautiful. The landscape of the peaks is stunning, including various rock formations, moss and treeline. Worth doing and parking was cheap after 4pm

This place is stunning. I recommend you to come late in the evening, it’s not that crowded. There are 2 parking lots, one of which is more closer to the lake. The bus stop is also very close. If you have time please do the hike around the lake, it will offer some breathtaking views.

Karersee is a small but stunning alpine lake in the Dolomites. The view from all angles is beautiful and there are many panoramic trails to explore. Although it is not permitted to go into the lake, you can take a nice stroll around its perimeter. This picturesque spot was covered with snow during our visit, giving it an extra wintery charm!
The lake has great view and you can go around it In a circular route. Was A little bit too crowded

Tranquil crystal clear turquoise water with the reflection of the surrounding Dolomite mountain ranges sums up the Beuty of this place. This lake is very close to Bolzano. Parking is nearby and the lake is small. On a clear day in summer water is turquoise as you see in my pics.
Note: if you are driving here, keep in mind, the road has speed cameras at every corner so be extra careful. I will definitely suggest to come early before 7 am to enjoy the serenity and the tranquility of this place.

A very famous spot that you can easily Google the history. It's simply stunning from all angles and you have to stop here if you are in the general area. Large car park which isn't too expensive and several cafés are available adjoining the car park.
A tunnel takes you under the main road and directly to the lake where your mind will explode when you see the views. It's almost unreal and you can't capture it in your brain sufficiently:)

What a lovely place.went here for Christmas market on the way to Bolzano. The views were breathtaking. Completely covered in snow and the lake was frozen. There were little Christmas market along the lake serving hot wine and food. There was a big paid parking as well next to the lake. Overall a must visit if you are travelling through this place or if you are around.

I was there in March. The lake was frozen but the scenary was stunning! If you come in winter be careful as at some points it is very icy. There is a parking but except for this you can find only a clothes shop. It would be better if you could have a coffee or a snack.

Amazing Mountains but does not feel like Italy at all! The first language is German, specially in winter! I visited in September to hike and in Jan to ski. I have learned Italian, useless! Some of the lift operators do not even respond if you day Buongiorno! I went for the experience of Italy, yet none! big mistake in that sense. In the hotel, first language is German and 2nd, less informative in shorter and less information, Italian. It is that bad that at the bus stop, an Italian family was asking if anybody speaks Italian and I said I do, a little! Italian people who I had encounter w in Summer, winter and during meals were very polite, considerate, respectful of others during hike, ski, or at breakfast/dinner. The same sadly cannot be said about german speaking attitude. Some of us suffered some loud people speaking German, loud across tables even during formal candlelight dinner. They will not lower their volume and you cannot hear the music and enjoy a peaceful dinner! The hotel treats Germans better, they r special 😊 I will not choose to stay at Ortisei hotels again unless Italian culture and language is respected and preferred.

Monte Baldo, a captivating alpine attraction, offers a range of activities for nature enthusiasts. With its extensive network of hiking trails, visitors can explore the picturesque landscape while enjoying panoramic views. A cable car ride to the summit provides an exhilarating experience and allows for breathtaking vistas of the surrounding area. Breathtaking views of lake Garda. You can make a trip around the surrounding peaks or just sip your drink while watching the scenery.

Be prepared for a loong wait an hour at peak times that is for the first stage
Then there is a second stage to the summit…. again you may have to wait for 15 20 minutes here Also you pay €10 for a buggy and a €2 supplement on each persons ticket !!’ Best times to go are after 3pm
You may also have to queue to come back down but not so long a waiting time
The restaurant at the summit is very slow 30 minutes for basic sandwich and rude dismissive staff My advice is take your own food drinks with you

An incredible morning spent on top of the world, well, Lake Garda, at least!
We left quite early, enabling us to be at Cable Car to take us up there with no queueing and plenty of time to enjoy the trails on Monte Baldo. The 27 euros each was money well spent. After a spot of hiking, an ice cold beer and a cappuccino was well received at the bar. On leaving around noon we noted the crowds queueing to go up was very high. I'd suggest getting there early to avoid the crowds.
All in all, a fantastic experience, and look forward to repeating it again next year.

One of the most beautiful areas near Verona. You can reach the top walking or using a cableway from Malcesine. It's amazing during the summer and magic during the winter! You can park the car at "localitå Due Pozze'l or start from "Novezza". It's like a postcard!

Beautiful views on a nice day. Go early if you plan to take the tail car or expect to wait for an extended time. Nice walks will lead you away from the crowd if you are prepared to walk for a bit.

Beautiful and peaceful. Eating here is quite expensive here,to visit this place
it's better to take something with you to eat and drink.😊👍🏻👍🏻

We loved it - watching paragliders, watching sheep run around, taking photos, etc.
Make sure you buy tickets online.
Dont go too late into the day.
Bring warm clothes.
Plan enough time to be up there - It is very nice so you may want to stay longer.
The line for going down the mountain can be long.

Awesome view not only over Lago di Garda but also over the villages, valleys and hills in the hinterland. I took the cable car from Malcesine, which is unfortunately expensive (paid 23 Euro for return ticket) but worth it. If you don't mind to camp in the mountains a 2 days trip from the hinterland towards Lago di Gardo via Monte Baldo would definitely be amazing!

Climbing the mountain from the bottom to the top was extremely challenging but the view afterwards definitely made up for it! Awesome view on the lake and really enjoyable nature all around.

Beautiful view!
And a great panoramic cablecar right to the top. Waiting 1h and 30min to enter it, but they are well organised and the view on the top is amazing!

Piazza del Duomo is the vibrant town square at the heart of Trento, surrounded by charming medieval structures. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to immerse themselves in local history and architecture. The square's focal point is the magnificent Trento Cathedral, while its center features an elaborate fountain dedicated to Neptune, adding to the area's allure.
MUSE is a beautiful and interesting science museum with many high-tech, hands-on exhibits. It is located in the heart of one of Europe's most vibrant cities and is always busy with visitors.
We chose this option because weather was really bad and we could not ski. We were very surprised how amazing this place is. There are several floors of educative fun and whole familly including the 5 y old really enjoyed the stay. It is amazing how is the place interactive and very well managed. Something what is really extraordinary is the butterfly jungle and we were lucky enough to see the unwrapping baby butterflies which I have not seen before :). I highly recommend even for full price but if you have the guestcard from your hotel, don't forget to take it as you will receive great discount on your ticket, we paid only 21 Eur for 3 adults and kid.

I think it is probably the only aesthetically modern museum in Trento, even though if you visit Rovereto, you will find a modern art museum called MART. But now lets focus on this first. I like how everything looks neat regardless of the fact that it is not optimally organized. I don't get why the order of theme for each floor is quite absurd and hard to follow. Other than that, I really like the ambiance and lighting. The staff are quite helpful and nice to talk to. And I really hope that they provide a prayer room for Muslim because it would be very pleasing and convenient. Overall, I def recommend it 👌👌

A truly beautiful place full of interesting expositions and experiments. Great to bring your kids on any given day. The place is super clean and has an amazing architecture that invites you to explore the museum and interact with everything around you.
A must see in town

Great place to go with the kids, but I'm sure it's super crowdy during the season. Engaging and interactive, friendly stuff, ok food. Lovely rain forest and hilarious vagina tents (not sure if intended, but I would take one home 😀)

We absolutely loved it... So many interactivity, interesting ways to describe difficult phenomenons, beautiful stuffed animal exhibitions, great african jungle and terrace views...
Karina Kratochvílová — Google review
It's the main scientific museum of the city of Trento, and has a meticulously curated permanent exhibition on subjects ranging from evolution, genetics, geography, climate change, mineralogy, etc. and significant amount of these can be interacted with as experiments or demonstrations. There are also many interesting events and temporary exhibitions. The only downside to the whole experience is that a single ticket only permits one to visit it for three hours, which is nowhere near enough time to see everything carefully.

What a fun place for the whole family! Excellent interactive museum with plenty of conveniently located elevators, toilets and water stations. We had a blast!

Very interesting place to visit, especially with child >5 y.o. Museum offers 5 floors of exhibitions, many of them are interactive and great for children to make simple experiments.

A striking 5-floor museum to visit with the kids in Trento. Interesting and informative themes at each floor, felt all animals so close (not hidden behind a glass wall) including interactive posts. Worth to visit when you are in Trento.

Wonderful museum with lots of interactive games for kids. We spent there for 2hours with our kid and it seems not enough for him to play all the game. The museum’s design is stunning and very modern with all necessary service for a comfortable visiting

Amazing museum. We used the Trentino guest card for a discount on admission. My kids are 9 and 6 years old. The 9 year old could have spent a few days here. My 6 year old loved the interactive floor.

The Castle of Malcesine is a medieval fortress located in the picturesque town of Malcesine, Italy. It was built by the powerful Scaligero family from Verona and offers panoramic views of Lake Garda from its tall tower, which dominates the town from a rocky outcrop. The castle also houses a history and natural science museum.
Wonderful area with great and friendly people. We stayed in park du lac in Riva del garda and drove to malcesine by car. Fun fact: Johan Wolfgang von Goethe spent during his Italien travel couple of moons there as well 13.9.1786 Second to none.

The Malcesine castle should definitely be on the top to do list for tourists to Malcesine or lake garda environs. As the top of the castle gives a beautiful view to the city and the lake.
For only 6 euros, the entire castle and the museum can be visited. Climbing up the highest tower might be a bit scary though.
Chikezie Monalisa — Google review
Stunning views with an incredible backdrop. Well worth the money.
Let down by the modern art that desecrates this beautiful castle.
One exhibit includes loads of electric wires that look like trash.
If the modern art was removed, then it would get 5 stars.

The old Castello Scaligero. A citadel rising above the lake shore on a jagged cliff. The ancient citadel is a must visit, enter it and experience the medieval history of northern Italy. It goes without saying that the citadel offers a spectacular panoramic view of the lake, as well as of the high ridges that surround the town from all other directions

Malcesine's claim to fame is Goethe's unexpected visit. Well preserved castle and good Goethe exhibit in Italian, German and English. Walk up the bell tower for beautiful views. Great ice cream before you enter.

My sister got married in this castle 13 years ago. It's a lovely castle with beautiful views across Lake Garda. If you wanted to get married in a stunning location, it doesn't get much better than this (although be prepared for it being very hot!). If you're merely visiting the castle, then the entry fee is worth the trip. There is a small museum inside and plenty of paths to explore, as well as great views from the very top bell tower. Steps are steep and low head height in places, but fun for children and those with reasonable level of fitness. This castle is a must visit for those in Malcesine.
Sian Davies — Google review
Wonderful spot, a mix between history and science… glad to learn about the castle as much as about the lake, its history and the natures around the area. Great view points too!

This lovely historic castle is very well maintained, and includes a museum, and modern sculptures (which are fantastic). You can walk round the various levels, and also climb the tower. The climb isn't too bad, as long as you are reasonably mobile.
PLEASE NOTE you need to keep your ticket with the QR to to exit, as well as enter the castle

Great castle, it was great experience to visit the castle in the old town, you can explore every inch in the castle, the museum is great so that the tower. I wasn't expect that for 6 euros.

This is one wonderful place.
I can't remember when i got last time so overblown.

Great view of the lake!
Watch your head as you climb the stairs up to the top tower.
Cost €6 per adult and €3 per child.
Very windy, so gold on to your hat.
The kids loved the place and ran around playing hide and seek. Just make sure nobody is close to the wall edge.

If you happen to be in Malcesine, this is a must! Breathtaking view, interactive expositions and the history of the castle (and the city in general) is nicely explained! If you want to go up to the tower, be aware that there are quite some steep staircases! But beside that, i can’t stress enough how pretty it was!
Chiara Cuneo — Google review
Real value for money at only 6 euros per entry, or 5 for those aged over 65 or under 16. Young children under 5 enter for free. Once inside, there is lots to see and do. As well as exploring the castle, there are also numerous sculptures located around the grounds. Most of these have been made from recycled rubbish. The tower is a difficult climb, but once at the top, the views of Malcesine and Lake Garda are spectacular. There are many steps here, so I wouldn't recommend it for those with mobile disabilities. The staff are few and far between. Except for several members at the entrance, there were none within the castle itself. There is no shop or cafe here either, but there are toilets located next to the castle exit. Nevertheless , a very e joyable experience.
Andrew O'Brien — Google review
Great view of the lake from the top. Be aware that There are some tricky stairs to climb up/ down from the very top. But otherwise cool experience. We didn't read too much of the history, but that's there if you enjoy getting into the history.

If there is one historis place that you must visit while in Malcesine, this is the castle. Majectic structure perched on a rocky hill offering magnificent views in all directions (that is if you brave the stairs of the tower). Very well maintained and featuring a number of permanent and temporary exhibitions.
Simeon Goranov — Google review
Nicely renovated castle with great views from the tower (if you can cope with the crowded staircase). Not a fan of the modern art that was exhibited in the gardens, but that's just preference I guess.

Reinbach Waterfalls, located in the Parco Naturale Vedrette di Ries-Aurina in South Tyrol, offer a stunning natural spectacle. The waterfalls are accessible via short hiking trails through a scenic forest, allowing visitors to witness the dramatic cascades of the high-flowing river. The surrounding Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park provides opportunities for holiday activities such as hikes, visits to the visitor center, and tours to the waterfalls.
An amazing place hidden by the forests 🤩 I highly recommend this place, it’s around 15 minutes walk by the parking, just follow the path.

You see the fall in all it’s powerful glory, you feel it’s power up close. Walking times from the starting point to the 1st waterfall about 20 min and to the 2nd waterfall about 40 minutes. The third one takes about 55 minutes. During the summer months and open now, in from the top you can return with the Fly-Line.Some parts is a bit of a climb and paths a bit stony so wearing hiking shoes is good for the grip. You will get a bit wet closer to the waterfall so getting a rain proof jacket is a good idea

To find the parking place you need to find the right turn (very tiny one) from the main road (sp48) and follow it, thought after the bridge you'll find the place

The South Tyrol Archeological Museum houses a well-organized exhibit featuring the preserved remains of a Neolithic man. The museum is spread across three floors dedicated entirely to showcasing Otzi and includes a fourth floor for rotating exhibits. Visitors can make use of an audio app available for a small fee that enhances their experience and allows them to navigate the displays at their own pace.
Small but well organized museum. I’d recommend getting the museum audio app for your phone. It’s only $1 and helps to bring the displays to life, plus it allows you to go at your own pace. The first 3 floors are all for Ötzi and the fourth is what I assume to be a rotating exhibit. I didn’t reserve a ticket and had no problems with crowds, but I did go midday on a Tuesday. Bag storage is available too since you can’t bring large bags into the exhibit area.
Michael Kyle — Google review
An intriguing story of the ice man. It's a pity that everything revolves around one person and the discovery of the skeleton. I believe that the whole building and the story could be enriched with a broader horizon regarding how people lived at that time, what they did, what animals they encountered in their lives, and how they spent their spare time. And the exhibition on the top floor, organized somewhat forcefully, has little to do with the Ice Man. And definitely too few multimedia elements. Today, it's all about videos, and just talking heads in them don't solve the problem anymore! 🤷🏾♂️
A. Dream — Google review
This museum is really well-organized and utilizes multimedia to make the topic more interesting for the visitors. Make sure you reserve tickets in advance online to save time waiting in line. The lounge at the top floor is also worth a visit, especially for families with kids.

One of the most unique museums I have ever seen. Worth an extra effort to get here. The whole story of how it is believed Otzi lived and died, how his body survived 10K years under a glacier, how he was found and the details of his life/death are extraordinary. Spent several hours going through the exhibits and a couple more strolling the town center.

It was great! Seeing Ötzi was super cool and we didn't have to wait long either. It was fascinating seeing and reading about old techniques that were used on his tools and to see how trade was already well established thousands of years ago. 100% recognized going! They also have a lot of fun stuff in the shop :D

Famous Otzi museum where you can get all the info about the discovery of Otzi, his lifestyle and even see the frozen mummy. Suggested spot to spend an hour or so. Family entrance tickets available (e.g. 26 eur for 2+2).
Boris Susmak — Google review
Very interesting museum, definitely recommend it.
All information is given in German, Italian and English. There is items, texts, films, touch screens and, of course, the mummy.
There is lockers you are asked to put your things into and these can be used with 1€ or 2€ coins.
We got here at 9:45am, it opened at 10:00am and it took us just over 2h to visit the entire thing while reading all texts and taking it slow. When we left, there was a huge queue for entering, so be there early or reserve your tickets, we didn't do this as we came by spontaneously.
Anna KM — Google review
Pro: Very very cool to see Ötzi the ice man. It is amazing how well preserved his body, clothing, and some personal items were. The line to see the actual body moved pretty well.
Con: you can't take pictures of the whole museum. There isn't really much else in this museum (the other exhibit was small and lack lust). Couldn't take my small backpack in, although I seen women with purses large than my bag inside. Paid for parking nearby.
Toni Sterling — Google review
Nice museum where you get to learn about Otzi the iceman (Europe's oldest known natural human mummy) and what was life like in the area over 5000 years ago. The personal belongings ground along him give precious details about the skillsets and life style then with carefully sawn garments and shoes.

Amazing expo. We had to wait about 10 minutes in line to get in because we did not have a reservation. Buy an app for 2€ instead of renting an audio guide. The app has not only audio, but also pictures and you get to keep it after the visit. Take your headphones with you for the more comfortable experience. There is a special app for kids 6-10 years old that is free. The QR codes to download both apps can be found either on the website, or right in the cash desk area.

Otzi is a fantastic exhibit for all ages. A must see - you will learn a lot.
Every display is supported in 3 languages. The story unfolds as a journey from his discovery, his retrieval and preservation, through to understanding his lifetime.
The technology he used was astounding.
This is the best museum I’ve visited in Italy - highly recommended to everyone.
Thank you South Tyrol!

Went to this museum while in Bolzano to see Otzi, the iceman. It was interesting to see the artefacts of that period . Almost missed to see Otzi as he lay in his cubicle which is behind a wall and not well sign posted. There is a glass window through which you see his mummified body. It's remarkable to see this skeleton in its entirety knowing how old it is. Not allowed to take photos in the museum.

Amazing track. Most professional guides.
The most serious company through which we rafted - they gave us special suits for water and over them coats. The training before embarking on the track is very detailed.
You can rent water shoes on site.
Children under the age of 14 can not make part of the route and take the bus to the meeting point to continue the route.

Trauttmansdorff Castle boasts a tourism museum and is surrounded by sprawling botanical gardens offering striking mountain views. A visit to the castle museum can be a relaxing end to a seven-hour tour of the gardens, which are well worth the time. Although the restaurant experience was not ideal due to slow service and forgetful staff, this was the only negative aspect of an otherwise beautiful location.
Wow WHAT A PLACE, had a great time. Been there for 4,5 hour ( it was a hot day 33 degrees )
The only thing I’m mad off is that I climbed all the way to the birds and when i was finally all the way up it was closed for technical reason grrrr why could anyone tell me that at the entrance. Not cool!
But further it was a beautiful spot!

The most beautiful botanical gardens that I've ever seen in my life. We spent almost 4.5 hours admiring it. My kids were thrilled since there are a lot of interesting things there for kids alongside the gardens.
I strongly recommend visiting there, just make sure you have extra time.
There is also a tourist museum there (inside the castle), unfortunately due to a lack of time and a wonderful weather,we prefer to visit the gardens and not visit the museum.

Exceptionally beautiful botanic garden with a huge variety of plants and stunning views off the viewing platforms higher up on the hill. The different routes through the park are thematically arranged and guide you through the entire park. If you want to see everything, 3-3,5 hours should be sufficient if you walk at an average speed. There's multiple play areas and opportunities for interaction for children to make it more interesting for them. The restaurant is at an average price, the quality of the food we got there was however very good, and it was deliverd to the table rather quickly. Would definitely recommend this to everyone good by foot!

This place is so awesome I don't even want to write a review about it, it might make it busier in this era of overtourism.
But anyway: this garden is too beautiful to be true: the location in the Alps, the hilly terrain of the park, and the variety of plants and flowers and artwork. Usually it's sunny here which really helps.
We were here in late October which was perfect.
Walking around is not really doable for people who don't walk well.
Parking is easy, there's also a bus to the station and it's an easy detour from the Brenner tollway.
Michael Blok — Google review
In the castle there is a museum and left thst for the end of our tour there, to chill after we took 7 hours to visit the Botanical garden, and it's worth each minute. Restaurant experience want so great as we waited 15 minutes to just be served, even though others around us were served, they forgot to bring the water we ordered, got salads without the cutlery, and when we told we didn't get the water we ordered, we were charged another one on our tab. We sorted it our later but that experience is the only bad thing we had there.

Also an aviary and some mountain goats and green house with unique species.
Lovely and recommended to the whole family.

After reading so many glowing reviews of this place, we decided to check it out. The gardens are enormous and can be steep at times, so be prepared for a workout if you want to see some of the upper attractions like the lovers garden and the aviary which I thought were both worth the climb.
I’d recommend giving yourself at least 4 hours to see everything. We spent 3 hours here and weren’t able to see everything.

Absolutely AMAZING place! Beautiful gardens, loads to see and explore. When I was reading the reviews, some people were saying that you could easily spend a whole day there - I was a bit sceptical. But actually, you could! We spent about 3-4 hours there! There are some spots for picnic too. There are also few restaurants to grab some food / drinks / gelato. Would deffo recommend!

This was our second visit, this time during the day - our previous visit was during the late opening one evening in the summer. The gardens are stunning, plenty of flowers and scents in early May. We were there 4h30m and didn't see everything, nor did we visit the museum. This is a place you can visit time and time again, but be aware that there aren't many places to shelter when/if it rains.
Finally, don't visit in good weather at the weekend if you are travelling by car, the parking was full! Public transport is a better option.

The Golden Roof in Innsbruck is a prominent landmark and attraction in the city. It is dominated by nearly 2,700 copper tiles, and it is most impressive from the exterior. The roof also has a small interactive museum about Austria that wont take too much time to visit.
Beautiful old town, all places you need to visit in Innsbruck old town are around this area.
Right at the end you get to see this golden roof balcony that is distinctively different from the rest of the building. There are many other colorful buildings around with full of history and culture.
So many food options around including McD.

With its 2,657 gilded copper shingles and rich fresco and relief decoration, the oriel in the middle of Innsbruck's old town was an eye-catcher not only when it was built around 1500. Today, more than 500 years later, the Golden Roof still attracts thousands of visitors every day

The gorgeous symbol of Innsbruck, situated in the heart of the city centre. During Christmas time (until December 23rd) you can find Christmas Markets in front of it together with a beautiful Christmas tree! However, I don't recommend visiting the monument itself, since the museum is not all that interesting and the view you get from the top is nothing special
Andrea Nori — Google review
A beautiful landmark in Innsbruck, if you are lucky you can often find typical bands playing under it.
Riccardo Gatti — Google review
Easily one of the most visited sites in the old centre of Innsbruck, at the same time you can see all of the old buildings and medieval architecture of the original parts of the city. The golden roof glitters when the sun is out, however the site with Nordkette in the background reminds me of beautiful mountainous art works. The snow is falling on the mountain and the trucks are busy removing the last of the Christmas market installations. Visit this space and take in the history of the city in the surrounding streets.

The Golden roof really does stand out from the other buildings around it. Even when you walk farther away, you will still be able to admire it. It was quite late in the summer evening so we didn't get to see it shine in the sun.
We didn't go inside, there was moderate crowd in front of the building.

The Golden Roof is a famous landmark in Innsbruck, Austria. The Golden Roof is a three-story balcony structure located in the heart of Innsbruck's Old Town. It was built in the early 15th century by Archduke Friedrich IV as a symbol of his power.
Visiting the Golden Roof is a great way to immerse yourself in the history and culture of Innsbruck while enjoying its stunning architecture.
It is recommended to the tourists visiting Innsbruck, Austria 🇦🇹

Cannot miss this historical landmark when in Innsbruck. Lots of great restaurants around and the tower is just in front with an amazing view over the city and surrounding mountains.

One of the popular attractions in the old town of Innsbruck. Its an old, historical building structure, the facade. The old town in Innsbruck is a very nice and beautiful place to walk around.

Nice building with golden roof. Near to it, there is a very old hotel in the bank of river Inn. The English word "inn" for small hotel must have come from this hotel.

When I saw photos of this place and read that it was one of Innsbruck's most famous landmarks I thought it was a joke, but get closer to it and you realise it's something very special with a lot of history. Also, the street it is on is just beautiful and well worth a visit. Unfortunately we didn't have time to stay for a coffee or snack but highly recommend it if you're in Innsbuck.

Interesting small museum about the golden roof and the life of the emperor who commissioned it. The museum covers only one floor. It can be visited in anything between 10 minutes and one hour (there is a quite long video to watch halfway through the exposition). You can get a nice glimpse through the balcony, but you cannot step onto it. The experience is worth the EUR 4.50 entrance fee. The lady at the ticket counter is very friendly and helpful.
Only downside is they accept only cash and the ATMs in the area charge EUR 4 for withdrawals with international cards.

It is one of the most known landmark in Innsbruk located in the old city, and it called Golden Roof because it is covered with 2000 golden painted tiles , there is a museum also in the building in

Innsbrucker Nordkettenbahnen Betriebs GmbH (Nordkette) is a modern transportation system connecting Innsbruck with Hungerburg, designed by Zaha Hadid. The cable car ride offers a scenic 20-minute journey to the Nordkette, showcasing breathtaking views of Innsbruck and its surrounding mountain landscapes.
Wonderful experience! The first step to see the top of Innsbruck. You can access it from the city center, where you can buy the ticket. It is recommended to bring some warm clothes, even in the spring, because on the top of the mountains, the temperature and the wind can make you feel a bit of cold.
Bruna Dellacqua Loureiro — Google review
Will give it five stars for the overall experience you get, but be prepared to be packed in like sardines in the cable cars. At a minimum you'll definitely want to consider a mask. Aside from that you'll enjoy the views at the top and will have an opportunity to eat and drink on the outdoor patio if you choose

Must do when in Innsbruck. There was no snow downtown, but up there there was 1,5m of snow and still snowing. Restaurant is very good with quality food and there are free of charge ski bikes for kids and adults to enjoy. As for the station, the staff at the ticket kiosk looked like she was forced to work there with very apathetic service. Nevertheless, couldn't spoil the fantastic experience. Highly recommended activity.

It is always great to go up with the Nordkettebahn and the view from Seegruppe is great as well as it is super to just hang out there. However, the price is way to high for thw service. 42€ euros for going to the top and down again is really pushing it

Never visit Innsbruck and not use the Nordkettenbahn to go to the top of Innsbruck. I experienced winter snow (on top), early winter (halfway at Hungerburg) and fall (at the bottom), all in one day! The views are amazing.

Rode the Seegrubenbahn up to the Hafelekar Bergbahn during a visit to Innsbruck in early March 2023.
This station has a small interactive cable railway museum. Good spot to learn facts about the history of the Innsbrucker Nordkettenbahnen. A restaurant and bus route is nearby.

Undoubtedly the view could have been better. If you have not purchased the tickets in advance, Avoid going if its raining. I wish it was not raining when I booked the tickets. It was too cold at 6 degree C at the top and 12 degree in Innsbruck. Dress well and carry winter wear and accessories as per the weather conditions. I enjoyed but could have enjoyed more with better view without rain

An interesting experience of getting from the center of a busy city right to the top of the mountains with ski slopes. But due to the large number of people, you have to wait a long time for your turn.

A bit complicated to traverse all 3 stations to reach the summit, but the final hike to the top was exhilarating. This last part of the excursion definitely not recommended for those who are physically challenged. The Seegrube restaurant (not inexpensive) offers limited menu but breath-taking indoor or patio dining.

We had incredible views from the top of Innsbruck, definitely worth visiting whilst you are here. We took the funicular to get to the cable car access and you can purchase tickets from the funicular station for the funicular and top of Innsbruck and back in one ticket. You can also make your own way to the cable car and just buy cable car tickets. All up it cost us 44 euros but we found it was a lot cheaper than anything similar in Switzerland.

A modern furnicular that will bring you up from Innsbruck to Hungerburg, then a cable car (Nordkettenbahn) will bring you further up to Seegrube and finally Harfelakar, top of Innbruck 2300m. VIEW OF THE MOUNTAIN
The mountain that dominates Innsbruck. The Nordkette is part of Austria's largest nature park, the Karwendel Nature Park, and can be accessed in only a few minutes from Innsbruck's city centre! The stunning 360° vista, with the Alps' capital on one side and Tyrol's most extensive conservation area on the other, makes an indelible impact.
The Hungerburg funicular takes about 8 minutes to get to the Hungerburg. There are various stops along the route, including the Alpine Zoo, which is popular with families. After arriving at the Hungerburg station, travellers can take a short walk across Hermann Buhl Square, which is named after the world-famous Austrian mountaineer.
At an elevation of 1,905 metres, the Seegrube

An absolute must when visiting Innsbruck. 10/10 views and unforgettable memories walking on the top of the world! Getting up at 3pm wasn’t too busy. The only downside was coming down at 515pm - it was mayhem! Long wait to get in the carriage and squeezed in like sardines.

Breathtaking views. We went to the very top - three gondolas. In July 2023 the top restaurant was closed so best to go up and come back a level to the great bar there with amazing views. Can feel a bit claustrophobic as they pack you in but always feel safe.
Stelvio Pass is a renowned mountain pass known for its challenging hairpin turns, making it popular among drivers and cyclists. The summer months see cycling events such as the Dolomites Bike Day and Stelvio Bike Day, allowing participants to enjoy the stunning panorama of Stelvio National Park without traffic. For driving and motorcycling enthusiasts, this winding pass in South Tyrol offers an adventurous and exciting journey through the Stelvio National Park.
Stelvio, without doubt the most famous pass across all of the Alps due Top Gear featuring it in 2008.
It is beautiful and is a must do, tick the box bucket list item!
Many people moan or put the Stelvio down, don't be put off!! Find out for yourself and follow my tip below.
It has two sides! The side everyone takes a photo of which looks cool but is actually quite tight, and then the otherside which is actually better to ride or drive.
My advice and this goes for all famous popular passes and particularly the Stelvio is; stay close the night before get up early and be there early! Otherwise you will get stuck behind many cars, cyclists, camper vans and coaches that you cannot overtake. I got there early and had the road to myself, so much so I went up and a couple of times before it got busy.

This is really a spectacular pass, one of the prettiest in entire Europe, a "must see" for every petrolhead. 48 curves, I drove it up and down 3 times, just to witness the magnificent landscapes and feel the road. If you drive down around 19:00 (in August), it's very likely you will be almost alone on the road, so you can push that gas pedal a little bit harder, for more adrenaline ;)

Europe's second highest pass and the most thrilling with numerous hairpin turns and amazing views of the surrounding mountains. At the top you'll find some nice eateries like the Tibet as well as viewpoint platforms at over 9000 ft! Highly recommended for a road trip adventure admiring the Alps in Italy and Switzerland. Please note the pass is typically closed from November to April.

The best driving road in the world.
At least one of them.
The height, the hairpin turns, the views, the location and the name are all fantastic.
This road gives you one of the best driving experiences you will ever get.
Try not to go here in holiday periods or weekends if you are a sporty driver because the slow tourists can be really annoying.
Make sure you are also check out the Via Umbrail. Another amazing mountain road in this area.

Stelvio pass can be exciting and fun to any lovers of driving, motorcycle, or sportscar. It can also be dangerous during the wintertime when snow is starting to fall. We went there during autumn season, left Lake Como early in the morning around 4am, and drove and drove. The drive there was wonderful. We reached the top of Stelvio around noon, and there was little snow and very cold around 5 degrees. There were motorcyclists and tourists taking breaks. We got to enjoy the noontime sun and have coffee in of the cafes. There's also a souvenir shop and a German restaurant. It is also best to leave before nighttime, or else the roads going down Stelvio will be dark.

Unfortunately, the Pass is closed until May/June, so we made the trip for nothing. IT IS NOT ACCESSIBLE BY CAR during Autumn-Winter or even Spring. The Aqua Dome Hotel in the Otztal valley is a luxurious spa property that offers a wide range of wellness treatments and facilities. It boasts 12 indoor and outdoor pools, as well as 7 saunas, all designed in a modern yet welcoming style. The hotel won the World Spa Award for World's Best Mineral & Hot Springs Spa last year, reflecting its high standards.
We were so excited to stay at Aqua Dome and it didn’t disappoint! We were blown away by the facilities and available activities. We stayed a week and wish we could of stayed longer. There were so many things we wish we had time to do. The activities the hotel organizes were really interesting and a nice touch to get outside and explore.
The spa is incredible! It does get busy on the weekends but the weekdays were so peaceful and perfect.
Scenery is beautiful, hotel is clean and staff are friendly.
Only bit of feedback would be that we occasionally had some difficulties getting the correct answer about things we asked. But not too big of a deal.

Visited for 5 days - simply put: extraordinary experience! Coupled with the amenities and included services in the stay - exceptional value for a truly amazing experience.
Spa services were equally fantastic - ask for Lissy & her body treatments.
Rooms very large and well appointed. No AC but not needed in the mountains. Extremely clean.
Thermal bath pools very soothing to tired limbs post-hike. Also very clean.
Food in the main restaurant excellent! Main dinner seating included beautifully presented main courses, with 5 other courses included.
Finally, the location in the valley, surrounded by majestic peaks, takes your breath away. A hiker’s paradise.
We are looking forward to returning, next time for a longer stay!

Beautiful location and excellent facilities. It is a bit spread out and takes time to find all the saunas.
We booked 3 hours and offered sauna for €9 at reception and glad we took the offer, sauna is best part of complex.
Rich — Google review
It looks nice until you see the ratio between the quality/price. For the prices they charge, you get very little. All the pools are 35°C except for one which is 28-30°C. The sauna is charged extra as well. SPA3000 is also charged extra. So for 60€ you can stay in the pool at 35°C, for 75€ you can also go to the sauna.
The only upside to this spa is the location.
Maraloiu Alex — Google review
We did not stay at the hotel. We got a relax day pass. The cost was about $100 euro per a person. I thought it was absolutely worth it. You get access to all the pools and saunas. It also includes breakfast, 2 snacks, and a discounted lunch. They have additional snacks and drinks available for extra $. It is worth the price for the views alone. I could t even believe the breath taking views from the water. They have multiple temperature pools. My favorite was the salt pool, by far. This place is 100% focused on relaxing so bring a book and find your inner peace. They have additional spa treatments and messages for an additional charge but they were completely booked the day we went. If you’re looking for a day to relax, this is the place to do it.
I will mention as an American in use to scolding hot water so the water wasn’t as hot as I would have loved it but it was still very warm. Also, a large of areas are naked friendly so if you’re bothered by that do NOT go.

if you wanna have a relaxing stay don’t go on a weekend between 12:00-18:00…it’s too crowded and loud everywhere. you’ll find kids in all pool areas playing ball and screaming (except for the sauna area, of course)…it’s more like a public swimming pool than a spa :D

I was in the thermal bats. Loved the view over there. There were 6 areas to swim but it was enough for us as a couple :) kids can use the slides on the other side of this thermal bats. There are enough options to chill but on the weekend many of the couches are occupied. You have to pay after the visit with your cabinet key. Also important to mention for me as vegan - that they are 2 food options to eat :) all in all I loved it there and would come again.

The swimming pools are amazing, its hard to swim out side even in July, it was freezing.

I am very disappointed about the visit. Price is very high and it is absolutely not worthy of this money. We paid for 3 hours with sauna 120,00€ for two persons. We were on Saturday evening, nobody could first really answer our questions what is included and what not( website for me was not clear about spa300, thermal baths, sauna, swimming poo etc) so we just got our bracelets.
Architectural planning of building is horrible! You walk up and down, through the stairs multiple times, so it is nothing what has something with relax to do… disappointing! place were dirty ( floor all over, also sauna! And the beds in relax lounge) less amount of sauna and not clear statement about the temperature ( 60-90 or 80-100 degrees are for me not clear data) stuff is way too less ( alarm activated ringed in complete area ringed around 12 minutes..) nowhere you can find stuff to ask something..
thermal baths overfilled.
Only plus was enough parking places for free.
I cannot recommend.
People from outside can take pictures of the thermal baths ( picture point) and also of peoples, for me this is a no go 🙅♀️ we were filmed many times. I don’t wish myself that and I was not informed about it by coming in.

We come to Aqua Dome to swim with our kids few times a year and every time it gets worse and worse. Food , service .. just price gets higher . There is one lifeguard for 2 different areas ! Floors are dirty . For the amount you pay it’s a big shame . So as much as we like to swim in a warm pool , price -quality doesn’t match lately . Hopefully management can take measures ..

June 2023, 4 nights. Can I give this place 6 stars? Why did we have to leave? How soon can we get back? Excellent food and service, the staff is friendly and helpful. Super clean throughout. Outstanding spa facilities. Good value. The weather was cool (forJune) and a bit rainy but it didn’t matter. The inside rest areas, location and views are magical. The only drawback (in the terme, not the hotel) is that they let kids of all ages in the 3 domes. There are more than enough options for kids elsewhere and no reason they should be allowed to go upstairs. Yes I’m a curmudgeon. But seriously, the dome area is for soaking and it’s not a water park.

We chose this hotel for our honeymoon - big mistake. A flood occurred during our stay, resulting in the garage being inundated with water. Regrettably, nobody informed us about the situation, leaving our cars submerged in water. It was only after we checked out that we discovered our car was completely destroyed!! We had to arrange for a tow truck ourselves, as no one at the hotel helped us. Furthermore, we were disappointed to find out that the hotel had knowledge of the situation beforehand, even having camera footage of the incident, yet failed to inform us in a timely manner. This lack of communication led to us having to extend our stay for an additional night since our car was no longer operational.
When we requested that the additional night be comped as a gesture of goodwill, given the hotel's failure to communicate and the resulting inconvenience, the hotel's response was less than satisfactory. They directed all further correspondence to their lawyer. The lawyer insisted that the hotel bore no responsibility and urged us to stop seeking compensation.
This was undoubtedly the worst honeymoon, and we are deeply disappointed by the hotel's handling of the situation. As a result, neither we nor our friends and family will be returning to this hotel in the future.

The pool area of the Acqua Dome is a great place to relax after your ski or hiking trip. It has different pools, each with a unique way of healing your body. It also has a kids space with a swimming pool and slides. The kids space is separated from the general pool area, this makes relaxing even better, since there are almost no kids. I recommend buying the evening ticket, as it gives you 4 ½ hours in the evening with only a few other people, and the lights of the pools are better in the dark.

Good place to relax - multiple pools and relaxation areas. Heated outdoor and indoor pools.
Service is friendly. Huge family lockers and showers etc. You can hire robes for €10 and towels too.
Biggest challenge was finding a chair/sunbed for a family of 4 if you go a bit later (around 11 am) in the morning. We ended up in a back room on the 3rd floor. Don’t think they enforce the 3 hr rule. Go early to get a decent spot.
Other than that, place is amazing
Definitely visit the cafe - food is fresh, tasty and good value too.

Nice place by design, but the people at the reception were not able to explain how the package prices worked. After all there was a FIRE hopefully no one was hurt, we go 10€ discount that was barely enough and the reception again was very rude… she said 10€ better then getting hurt. Who says that!
I recommend booking online for cheaper price, they also charge u for towels and rope that was together around 18/20€
The price is bit overrated, but the place is nice and pretty small.

Perfect for 1 day relaxing after winter sports, Aqua dome’s full package is some of my highlight of the trip. The location is amazing, day and night, it looks absolutely stunning. I personally love it when they turned the lights on at night, combining with music, the iconic view of the surrounding mountains, soaking in one of their jacuzzi making this experience super magical. The facility is very clean and organized. There are private areas for hotel guests that are not reachable if you don’t book for the night stay.

Quite expensive for what you get. Not crowded in our case, rather opposite, but everyone was in outside pools, leaving not much more space there. Few whirlpool spots inside and outside. One hall designated for small kids, I guess it can be a lot of fun for them there. Boring for older kids as there are only two slides for them, perhaps plus the "river" outside.

The Partnach Gorge in Garmisch is a popular hiking destination with beautiful waterfalls and a walkway. It's named for the gushing waters of the Partnach mountain stream, which have carved out the gorge over time. The gorge is significant geological because it was nearly 240 million years ago during the Triassic period that the Alpine muschelkalk layers settled on what was once a shallow sea.
What a fantastic place! The views we saw on the walk were just stunning! Even in winter, this place was worth visiting. Apart from the gorge, there are a lot of tourist routes through the forest. Depending on physical training, you can choose the best appropriate one. I also advise you to take a raincoat if the weather is cold as there are a couple of waterfalls.

Really special and wonderful place to enjoy a day. We hike passed the gorge and up a pub the long way (2 hours walk up and down). Reasonable fitness needed. The pub is closed every Thursday. When we go there, the pub is closed. The tables can be used and you can buy beer from a machine. The gorge itself is nice but the hike up the long way is nice walk too. We saw salamanders and woodpeckers and different birds, farm animals sheep and a friendly cat too. The way down quick is by the side of the pub (30 minutes). Bring a raincoat and wear hiking shoes.

It was a wintry cold day and we braved the outdoors. It was a nice memory, although hard with jet lag. Got some good shots.
Because some of the hiking paths were icy, we had to walk on the main road which of course took away from the charming allure. So beware in bad conditions.

The gorge was breathtaking and well worth the 6 euro. When we visited in August, half of the gorge was shut down and there was two-way traffic. This led to a lot of congestion and was very stressful with a toddler. We were not aware of how tight some of the tunnels were, so we brought a child backpack carrier which we did not use because our son would hit his head on the ceiling. We saw several families with small children in the same boat as us. If we could have done the whole trail and not have to double back, we would have enjoyed the experience a lot more. I understand these were unique times, it just wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been. It was still very pretty and I wouldn't mind coming back when our kids are a little older. For those who are new to the area, you can park in the Olympic parking lot for 2.5 Euro and it is a short walk to the trail head from there.

It's an impressive experience.
The path to the entrance is very wide and easy to walk on. In the gorge, however, it is narrow to the rocks, partly through the tunnels. It's also good to have a flashlight, because it's really dark in some parts of the tunnel. A jacket with a hood is also useful, as the water drips heavily from above in some places.
We were there on a public holiday with nice weather around noon. That was probably a mistake as it was very crowded. In narrower places you sometimes had to wait until "oncoming traffic" had passed... I also thought it was stupid that you were allowed to go there with the dogs. I don't think it's a nice experience for the dogs: loud, cramped and lots of strange legs that you have to avoid. Next time I'll go there earlier as it's probably a lot quieter.

Unbelievable place... It is definitely a must visit place and its worth every penny. You won't regret going here.
Just make sure you exit from the same gate you came from if you don't have time or don't want to walk. Cuz if you exit from the other end, you'll have to hike all the way around the gorge.
But if you can I would definitely recommend you to take that route, it is BEAUTIFUL

One of nature's wonders. Awesome place to visit. Regimens getting there early as parking is atrocious. Make sure you have balance and are a little fit. The walk is long and can get strenuous at times. However, the views are spectacular.

Let me just say be prepared for the hike OUT. The hike in and through was amazing. The walk out was the hardest part, and while it isn't difficult, it isn't a short hike. The gorge itself was great and beautiful. Go early and beat the rush, which is what we did, and even then, we had people who wanted to rush through and push you through it. Later, the number of people showing up to enter was crazy and i couldn't imagine trying to even take pictures. We enjoyed the early quiet and lack of people and were able to enjoy a leisurely walk, just letting the fast folks pass us. Take a rain coat, water and snack and you'll have an amazing time.

The place is very attractive. After visiting the cave, you can continue your hike to the forest and return to the starting point. Alternatively, you can return to the cave. If you choose to hike through the forest, make sure to bring some water as it is a steep path. Overall, it was a really enjoyable hike.

Formed by the Partnach River, the gorge features striking rock formations and picturesque waterfalls. The maintained trails and informational signs ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for visitors of all levels of expertise. We went on a hot weekday and it was rather busy, with lots of fellow tourists. The walk up from the parking at the Ski Jump centre took about 20 minutes, but was easy. We booked our tickets in advance, but you could buy them there. There are some places to get some food and drink at the start of the gorge walk, we had some lovely chips and a beer! The walk itself is exciting, but as it was busy there was a lot of stop-and-start waiting for people to pass (the raised pathway cut in to the cliff is narrow) but the views and atmosphere made up for it. Stout shoes and a slight head for heights is recommended, but we saw folks of all ages and abilities managing just fine.

I will try to talk about my experience briefly and benefit from this place, one of the most beautiful places that you can visit, beautiful natural beauty, fun and exciting to explore, ski, climb, photograph and relax. You can also visit the natural cave in the place and enjoy the wonderful views. I hope the pictures clarify what I mean❤️❤️❤️🥰

Amazing place. On a busy day, finding parking is a bit hard and one has to walk a bit to get the beautiful views of the Gorge, but definitely worthwhile. Nature at one of it's best. It's enjoyable only in the right season - when there is good water flow.

Beautiful hike up into the gorge. Fun for families but pathway is narrow and not ideal for small children. Better for school age and above. Could be challenging for mobility impaired. Take a rain jacket.

Partnachklamm is an absolute gem near Munich! I was left speechless by the extraordinary beauty of this natural wonder. The stunning gorge, with its crystal-clear turquoise waters and towering cliffs, creates an otherworldly atmosphere. The lush greenery and breathtaking waterfalls added to the enchanting experience. The well-maintained trails make it accessible for all, and the picturesque surroundings make it a photographer's paradise. Whether you're a nature lover, an adventurer, or simply seeking tranquility, Partnachklamm is a must-visit destination that will leave you in awe. Don't miss out on this incredible piece of nature's artistry!

Great experience! Tickets are around 7 euros for adults and 3.50 for kids. Rain coat is a must have, good to have snacks on the go! It does get a bit dark after sunset.

Very interesting place. But risk to go given the wet floor and its proximity to the water falls.
Not good for claustrophobics since you will be in dark and short tunnels.
Dogs are welcome but there is a 2 euros fee.
Cadu Garcia — Google review
we didn't need raincoats or lanterns, the tunnels were lit and at 20° quite dry, two or three drops on the jacket is no problem. It's so beautiful that you don't care if you get wet. The circular route is not easy at all, the climbing is big and quite steep, don't eat your sandwiches before it like we did😆. Otherwise, the view from the top is worth the effort, but some level of fitness is definitely required.

Beautiful place. Might be slippery in the rainy season. At least keep 2 hours for the trip. You are allowed to go to the end and have to come back the same route (can no longer exit from the other end). I saw some people taking their pets. Some were afraid of heights so their owner had a difficult time. And some dogs were trekking like a pro.

Partnachklamm, nestled in the heart of the Bavarian Alps, is a breathtaking natural wonder that captivates with its awe-inspiring beauty. The narrow gorge, carved by the Partnach River, offers a mesmerizing journey through towering cliffs and cascading waterfalls. The well-maintained pathways and sturdy bridges provide a thrilling adventure for hikers and nature enthusiasts.
Visitors should be prepared for a sensory delight, with the sound of rushing water echoing off the rocky walls and the cool mist in the air creating a refreshing experience. The interplay of light and shadow enhances the dramatic scenery, especially during different times of the day.
While the trail can be challenging in parts, the reward of reaching the end and taking in the panoramic views is well worth the effort. Partnachklamm is a testament to the raw power of nature, making it a must-visit destination for those seeking a memorable and immersive outdoor experience in the Bavarian Alps.

Awesome place. The cave gives you a thrilled feeling. After you exit it, there are two options: First option is to take the cave back. Next option is a bit tricky and I felt that the directions were not much clear. In this option you have to hike the mountain and then descend. The trail to go up is not well maintained and at some places it was very slippery. On top there is one small restaurant. Going down is via a well built road, but it is very steep. We could not control our legs at some descends and had to run :)

Such a beautiful place to visit... If this is on your list and you have the time you must absolutely do it. There is a 30 minute walk from the parking lot to the entrance of the gorge. However we had rented e bikes and were able to take them all the way to the entrance and there is a bike lock rack Right next to where we purchase tickets. For 7.50 euros this was an unbelievable walk Just so breathtakingly beautiful. I love the sound of the water I love seeing the sky through the crack. After we got to the end there was different trails to take but we didn't know how to read the trail map in German so we just turned around and went back the way we came to the main entrance to our bikes. I would have loved to have done other walks up and over the gorge as well if there was a proper map provided or signs. Also a bit confusing have to you purchase tickets you have to scan the barcode to go through a gate So hold on to them, Because if you go through the gate at the end and decide to turn around you will need to reschend the tickets to get back in the pathway to the main entrance.
Zugspitze is a mountain peak in the Alps, situated in Bavaria and Austria. It is the highest mountain in Germany, and also one of the highest mountains in Europe. The mountain summit at 2834 meters above sea level offers stunning panoramic views over four countries: Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and Germany.
Amazing peak view to the glacier! Went there twice. The first time was foggy so not able to see such a beautiful view but did enjoy the snow. Luck that having this clear weather when we went the second time. Enjoy the snow sledding if you don’t ski.

Germany's highest point, with a stunning restaurant at the peak. This mountain 🏔️ is the boarder between Deutschland and Austria. Stunning snow views but too windy and freeze.
The cable car that takes up to the peak makes for a surreal experience. Every tourist is entitled to the Garmisch Card, free public transport!

Incredible. Easily the highlight of our trip. What a bunch of breath taking views. We took the cable car up and down from the summit. It is definitely worth the trip to go up. It was very reasonably priced for what you got. Just make sure (they tell you at least 5 times) to switch trains on the way up.

Loved the experience! I went to Zugspitze to enjoy the picturesque view over mountains, and it was one of the most memorable trips. I took the cable car to go up, and then used another cable car to go down to ski slopes (you can use this one unlimited if you buy the standard adult ticket). Breathtaking views, few nice cafes on the top to go and enjoy a light snack/ meal or a coffee. Would really recommend, even if you aren’t a skier!

Great experience and a must do even if you're not in the area. We went on a Tuesday right after Easter and it's was pretty empty as the temperature wasn't the best. We tried going the day before and it was PACKED. We would've had to park a town over and take a train so we decided to postpone to the next day. The attendant at the entrance was kind enough to switch our tickets as we were the only ones there.
What an experience honestly. We were alone with the operator in the cabin and it was pretty nerve-wracking with the wind howling and the cabin swaying side to side. At the top it felt surreal, like on a different planet. My wife stayed inside as she was a bit scared.
There's also a restaurant and a museum up there on how they constructed the whole thing which is pretty nice.
Overall 100% worth it. Even my wife that was scared of heights and reluctant on going up loved it. The both of us will remember that that experience for a long time.

A must! It's quite expensive (136 euros for 2 persons, no discount with the tourist or visitors card they give you at the hotel), but we think it's totally worth it. The views are magnificent, there are excellent infrastructures (cafés, restrooms, souvenir shops) and you can "hop" on Austria for a little bit. We brought a light jacket, but it was not cold (12°C, but with the sun and all the people, it seemed warmer). It's beautiful, and you can easily spend 2h here or even longer if you intend to climb to the summit or hike around the viewing platform.
Highly recommended! 👌👌👌

Nice place to experience snow in summer. There are 3 different round trips which take you to 3 different places. The star of the place is the summit. From the starting point, get down at eibsee and take a rope car. It's the short and scenic route. Here restaurants are available. You can have nice food with scenic views. Then next to the valley where you can play in snow. Slides and snow mobiles are available for rental. Suggest not to take train from eibsee to aummit.

Very interesting place to visit in the Bavarian Alps. Visited in the end of March, still quite cold and abundant snow. I would suggest taking the cog wheel train up, then the cable car back to Garmisch. Check the weather forecasts/cameras for best views and dress accordingly. Have a bier and a strudel at 10,000 feet!

Top of Germany. What a lovely view from top. The whole experience to visit this place is awesome. The journey by train and cable car is one of the best. Best organisation of the whole experience by Zugspitzbahn. There is a small museum at the top about how this whole thing was built. Also they have kept all the old things in the museum and it’s free to visit. They explain the mechanism of the cogwheel train.
Andechs Monastery is a hilltop pilgrimage center in southern Bavaria that was established in the 10th century. It is renowned for its Benedictine monks' famous ales, and many tourists visit to sample them. The site attracts large crowds on weekends, but its stunning beauty remains a must-see attraction. Ettal, another picturesque location nearby, offers excellent hiking opportunities with ample parking facilities.
Gorgeous church. You go to Tutzing and take bus 958 which drops you at the base of Andechs. A long incline to walk up. It has a tower that has 13 flights of steps for €1.00. Their food opens at 11:00 and they have superb Haxen. Beer is great. Get there before 12:00 or few seats left.

I know some people think this place is too tourist, and mass production factory, but I enjoy it...and usually come early before the rush.
Arrive well before noon, ideally 11am...that is when the restaurant opens.
Share a litre beer, share a pork knuckle...they are large and sharing the cost makes it a bit better.
The whole monastery is not open to the public, but the baroque style layout of the church is worth a visit. Slip into the small chapel to tge side, and say a pray of thanks.
Pick a good day, even during the weekdays 80% of the tables are occupied by 12noon

I wish I could rate the Monastery on multiple levels, as a pilgrimage site, a brewery and a restaurant. I hope my pictures do justice to what you will see in the Monastery. A beautifu , prayerful environment. Well worth the time to visit and to refresh yourself spiritually and bodily.

Andechs Monastery was nice. Many people on Sunday. Few restaurants around. Self services and serve by waiter also available but require advance booking otherwise not even half seat available for you. But can always go to self service side. Definitely have to try their beer. Very good and smooth. Their alcohol free beer tasted like real beer and smooth. The monks did a very good job in making the beer. However the cheese made by monk is not easy to find. I couldn’t get to try one. Their pork knuckle are huge! I couldn’t finish. Have to bring another half back home. They have paper bag for you to put the food to take away if can’t finish. Their pretzel 🥨 also very big. However their potato salad don’t looks attractive but their taste very good when eat with sausage and pork knuckle.
Andechs Monastery located on top of hill and they have really nice view too. Many people cycling there but also big parking place to park your car and walk up to the hill with nice things around. Like their herbs (natural pharmacy herbs), their arts..

I lived in Bavaria for five years decades ago and it was such a treat to be able to return with Bavarian friends and show Andechs to my husband and young adult children.
The pretzels, obatzda (savory/tart cheese spread), and beer were delicious, it was so precious to see a service in the monastery cathedral and I found a beautiful little necklace in the giftshop.
Note the famous dopple bock type of beer invented by monks centuries ago which contains all the good ingredients needed to make bread. This was introduced in beer form so the monk's Lenten time fast (the fast in the days prior to celebrating Jesus Christ's death and resurrection at Easter) would not be interrupted.
Parking is free to this piece of historical Bavaria and Kloster Andechs is well worth the visit.

People say this is the place to get the best beer in Germany. I definitely had my best radler here on our trip. The food was also good and is served cafeteria style. You have a choice to hike from a nearby parking lot/bus station or you can hike all the way up from the town of Herrshing. It is a slightly difficult hike uphill through forest and a little bit of meadow. If you enjoy hiking then it will be worth it to you, if it’s a hot day just take the bus.

What an interesting place to visit. Outstanding monument of architecture with beautiful ornaments inside. Beautiful architecture and awesome art work inside. You can see the tower from far as it’s tall and located at very high hill. There's a lovely hiking trail from the nearby train station in Herrsching up to the monastery, definitely recommended to get that trail because that’s really lovely walk in green area.
When I was there, it was busy over the top. The beer was excellent as is all German beer, and the food was fantastic too. The Pilgrimage church is currently an active monastery so do watch thier closing times as are early due to prayer. The monastery has plenty of free parking however it's a bit of a short but steap walk from the parking.

The Neuschwanstein Castle is a 19th-century hilltop fortress constructed for King Ludwig II. The castle, which resembles Disney's Sleeping Beauty Castle, was created to recreate the world of Germanic mythology inspired by Richard Wagner's operatic works. The Sängersaal or Minstrels Hall is the most stunning room in the castle, with frescoes depicting scenes from Tannhäuser opera.
From the car park to reach the castle you can walk or take a ride with the bus or carriage. The tickets to get inside the castle are at the base, where the transportation is. Unfortunately I couldn't visit it inside as I didn't had enough time to wait one hour and a half for the next group tour. But next time I'll be more prepared for this. Even so seeing the castle surroundings was a very nice experience. You have plenty of nice views and lots of nice spots to take beautiful pictures.

It was a beautiful place but lots of hiking and it's difficult to find the spot where you can take an instagram worthy photo of the castle and even if you do, you will have to wait in line for 40 minutes to get there. Beautiful place!! I went near the end of November and it was snowy. Not all restaurants were open but there were enough to get a bit to eat. Easy walk around the area; both castles and the lake. Two viewpoints were blocked off because of the snow which was disappointing but understandable. The snow made it magical but if you want to see all sides of the castle go in warmer weather. It is about a 25 minute tour of the castle and you cannot take pictures or video inside. I used the GetYourGuide app to book a full day tour from Munich and it was a comfortable easy way to go! It is about a 30-40 minute walk up a paved path to the Castle so wear comfortable shoes. You have to sign up for a tour time so as to not overcrowd the castle. Lockers are accessible near the entrance of the castle and plenty of gift shops. Check this one off the bucket list!

I love coming back to this castle. It has something magical about it. I’ve seen it in all four seasons and each season has its own beauty. However the negative side of going there in winter is that the bridge where you could take good pictures of the castle could be closed due to weather conditions.
From the parking lot to the foot of the entrance, you can take a horse drawn carriage which cost at present eight euros per person for each direction. However, you can also walk it, which takes a good 20 minutes. From there it’s another 10 to 15 minute walk to the actual entrance of the castle.
I find the tour to be a bit short. I took a tour a few years ago where it was longer, but I suppose they no longer offer that. I do enjoy having a cup of coffee and cake inside a castle, though after the tour.

The castle is beautiful! Too bad that on the inside you can’t take pictures.
On the outside you’re one step from the alps, trees and 2 beautiful lakes that make the place look like taken out of a book.
The walls, ceiling, and ornaments are wonderful, of course like every castle is full of amazing stuff

What can anyone say about the world famous fairytale castle Neuschwanstein. It is stunning and surreal in person. The tour is well worth but make sure to book in advance. Getting to it is a challenge but no matter the method it is inexpensive. Even the horse drawn carriages was 7 euros a person. Many still walked, even in the rain.
The story around the castle is fascinating and sad. It was far from done when King Ludwig was killed. Only can imagine what it would be if he could have finished it.
Stayed in the nearby town of Fussen. Such a lovely place. Would not stay near the Castles as there is not much to do.

I had been wanting to visit for many years since my first visit to Bavaria. I'm glad I did as it is, obviously, a very impressive and beautiful building set in fantastic scenery.
No pictures are permitted to be taken while on the tour itself. Obviously some people still try, but thankfully the staff are quick to stop them.
Tours are run on a timed entry system and conducted with audio guides. Surgical masks are required. Homemade/cloth masks are not permitted. If you try to enter without a mask, or with a cloth mask, you will be made to pay €4 for an accepted one.
Buy your tickets ahead of time. A limited number of day tickets are available at the tourist centre in Schwangau (no tickets are available for purchase at the castle itself) but they go very quickly.
Don't miss the view from Marienbrucke before going into the castle itself.
Small cafe on site after the tour. Not bad, not great.
Gift shop has usual kind of trinkets and is pricey.

We purchased our tickets in advance and printed them at home. They are timed and you can only enter the inside of the castle 10 minutes before the "tour" starts. I recommend getting the first tour of the day because the parking lots fill up and it gets hot in the summer.
We caught a bus from parking lot #4 up to the top of the hill. You pay on the bus - cash only - a few euros per person. From there we walked to a bridge with an excellent view of the castle and took some photos. We then walked to the castle and waited for our tour to start. We had an audio guided tour which was very informative. This castle is stunning, beautifully preserved and cared for. It's definitely a bucket list place to visit. After our tour we walked back downhill to our car. Highly recommend visiting this castle.

You cannot take pictures inside the castle We took a horse drawn carriage up to the castle for about 8 euros and 4 euros down trust me either take the carriage or bus the walk is all up hill and about 30 minutes . There is plenty of parking and restaurants and cafes to eat and get drinks from there are also souvenir shops inside the castle . And the place is very crowded so if you can get there early . You cannot bring any bags inside and also no cameras . But do not miss being inside the mad kings castle .

Amazing palace in an amazing location between plains, lakes and high mountains. It looks medieval but is modern. Worth any voyage to come experience it and its surroundings.
Not that easy to get to but the climb/walk only adds to the luster of your visit. Reservations run out weeks in advance in summer so plan your visit well.
The bridge is best but not for the faint-hearted. I only go up a bit to take the amazing pictures of the castle, mountains, plain and lake.
We did not enjoy coming with a disabled person. We booked for a disabled person and an accompanying adult but:
1. You can't get to the front gate without climbing
2. You can't use the elevators in the castle unless you have a separate ticket for it, which I was not told about
3. The horse carriage stops running at 6pm even though we were told it would run until after our tour finished, so my mother had to hitch a ride back in an employee's car. If none had been available, she would have had to spend the night on the mountain somehow.

A very beautiful castle! The old markings and objects within the halls and rooms are outstandingly stunning. This castle tells its story very well and the tourer guides explain every detail down to a fine art, giving a clear picture of who owned the castle and how it functioned. The view is so striking and the area around is a very nice and cute town, reflecting the castles beauty from above and below. Would recommend a visit!

Visiting the castle must be planned in advance by purchasing tickets on the website. The experience is unique. If the weather is good (no rain or fog) you will get wonderful photographs of the view of the Castle, the lake and the city itself, which is very charming. On the way to the Castle and minutes before the center you can find good restaurants. I recommend the tour!

Gorgeous. Magnificent. Outstanding. Breathtaking. Impressive.🤩
There could be other dozens of way to describe this gem, easily.
The best sights are gotten from the Marienbrucke.
From the inside it was never finished so there are two storeys empty and the visit is somehow rather short accordingly.

Beautifully crafted structure. A masterpiece on its own. You can book tickets online. You can park the vehicle and then take a bus or the horse carriage to reach the Castle. 10 mins walk from the Bus stop. Please take return ticket of the bus at the time of taking the trip to the castle saves some money.

The scenery around it is absolutely stunning. Weather is just perfect on December, around 10 degree C and not too mild. Entrance fee may not justify the price as it is only a 5 min tour esp for someone had seen next level wall painting like in Vatican.

A must see! Love Germany, so pretty, stunning views. Please note that it is a long very steep walk from the parking area. There are horse carriages you can take up, unsure the cost.

Beautiful. The scenery is amazing. Take the bus to the castle and look out but walk back. Make sure to swim in the lake located between the 2 castles, it makes for a great way to finish a warm day walking between the castles.

It's a beautiful place, but everything is made in order for you to pay a bit more.
Also, I highly recommend going early in the morning. We came the first time in the afternoon, and there were literally a hundred or more persons waiting for the bus to take you up to the castle.

Give yourself plenty of time for photos and taking in the breathtaking views. September was a stunning time to visit. The castle is beautiful but the views from the castle are even more spectacular. There were flowers everywhere, the meadows were lush green and lakes dotted with sailboats. We saw a dozen hangliders floating through the sky, what an incredible view that must have been.

Incredible Castle (inside and outside) is a must if you are in Bavaria. The only negative point would be that there is not much time to appreciate in the castle tour.
Couldn't find online tickets but risk it in going and was able to get the ticket (€ 15 per person)
Also, recommend to go to the bridge (20min walk from castle) perfect castle view and the wait is not that long just really crowded.

Absolutely beautiful castle & grounds. We took the horse & carriage up for 8 euro per person and then walked back down. We had a gorgeous day to be there. I'd highly recommend getting there early if you pre purchased your audio tour so you have plenty of time to get to the check in. ❤️

First time visiting real castle. So good! Definitely worth visiting if you are in Munich. We went for a day tour, very very informative so you can understand the history! Tons of excitement and good architectural. Castle was built by limestone. I visited on the winter time.
Heard that when it’s summer, more sunlight, it makes the castle shines due to the limestones structure.

The castle is beautiful, although the place is very tourist-like. Can't enter the castle gates without a ticket and it's a specific time you may enter with your ticket. They will recommend a bus, and then a 15 minute walk from the bus stop. But you can walk up from the start of the bus to the castle in 20-25 minutes.

Absolutely magnificent castle! The art and architecture is incredible. The history is beautiful. I loved all the colors inside and all the different rooms. The outside view is absolutely chanting. Definitely worth the trip to check it out. My favorite were the murals which were inspirations for many stories that I am familiar with!

Absolutely a rip-off, don’t take the €20 tour of the castle, you are climbing almost 200 stairs during the tour and it’s not worth it. The castle’s gift shops rips you off as well, the place mats were €7 in the first gift shop, then it was down to €5 in the second one on the way to exit. The view is nice, breathtaking but that’s just it. A very touristic place. Not worth it. Instead you can enjoy the view and have lunch in the restaurants maybe…just an idea…

By tickets in advance or else there's the risk of not being able to enter the castle. Also I highly recommend going on that little hike after crossing the bridge. You will find a nice photo spot with very few people.
Victor Burcovschi — Google review
Worth a tour of the interior to see the artistry and hear about its inception. The tour wasn’t long and was a large group, leaving slower wanderers or those with more questions a bit rushed. But worth it! If uncertain of the signs for where to start your hike, you can follow the road that the carriages take. Also hiking to the view from the bridge is a must!

This place is a great location, you have free parking and can walk around the castle at night and early morning before anyone’s around.
However it’s really more of a hostel, we had to share a bathroom and toilet and there was no kettle and a very basic bed, all okay for an overnight but nothing special
Breakfast was very nice and staff team lovely.

A very beautiful Castle from outside! One must definitely visit. It was wonderful to trek up the hill up till the Marienbrücke and take some spectacular pics of the castle and the river beneath! Overall takes around half a day to tour.
Hohenschwangau Castle, a neo-Gothic summer residence of King Ludwig II, was built by his father atop 12th-century ruins left by Schwangau knights. It has a distinctly lived-in feel with ornately furnished state rooms, where every piece of furniture is an original. The palace is far less showy than Neuschwanstein and features stars painted on the ceiling of Ludwig's bedroom.
Wow! Worth a visit for everyone. Again, you can't take any pics inside but plenty of photo ops outside of the castle and the surrounding scenery. My advice is get there as early as possible, past 10am it gets ridiculously busy. Tickets are timed so it's all very orderly. You can walk up to the castle, but I'd suggest taking the bus from the car park, you can then walk off to the right and go on the bridge, it's then a 5 min walk up to the castle. There's a shop, loos and lockers for bags. There are also loos once you're into the main courtyard. As of Aug '22 you need to wear a mask inside, but they do sell them at the info desk for €2 each. After you can walk down the hill or take a horse drawn cart (€4ea) but it takes the same amount of time. Plenty of options for eating and drinking around the car park. If you walk along the road past the car park, with it on your right, you'll be treated to an amazing blue lake nestled amongst mountains. Stunning.

Beautiful castle walls and towers. There is a rich story (thanks to the amazing castle guide) on how King Ludwig designed and innovated the castle with electricity and even a lift ! Will consider this castle visit more of to accomplish a checklist if you are staying in Munich and not really a wow-must-visit attraction.

The tour was fascinating and our tour guide was very knowledgeable and sweet. It was an "audio-tour" so we were given a history of the castle and the family in English, but our tour guide was fluent in English and German. She added so many other neat tidbits and facts to really personalize the tour.
NOTE: It is limited to the queen's chambers and ladies' rooms/the king's chambers and the knights' rooms, so much of the castle is not included in the tour. The kitchen is located in the back of the gift shop and is a neat sight as well.
We booked our tickets online. If you do the same (and I suggest you do as it often sells out!) make sure you give yourself ample time to find parking and walk up to the castle. We got there 20 minutes early and were cutting it close.
The lady at the entrance to the tour was not very nice at all. She was the one negative to the whole experience.
NOTE: LOTS OF WALKING - wear your good shoes.

Great castle to visit. We had a nice guided visit with an audio guide in English and a guide to answer questions. It was interesting and didn't take too long. Our group was only composed of 4 people, us included, so it was really nice. Great view from the castle too and a quick bus ride from and to Füssen. Be sure to check the return bus schedule as they are not really frequent.

This year my husband and I decided to do castle tours in Germany. Yesterday we visited Hohenschwangau, (our 3rd castle visited in 2 days). I love the vibrant color of the exterior. It has a beautiful courtyard with a pretty fountain and landscape. Too bad it was raining which prevented us from taking some amazing photos of the castle and spending more time in the courtyard. This castle along with many others does not allow photography during the tour. King Maximilian II commissioned the construction of this castle. It has 50 rooms, rooms are small and have less decor than some of the other castles around. Overall it is a beautiful castle, overlooking the town below, and the mountains. I advised repurchasing the tour tickets ahead of time, less hassle. Guided tour comes in multiple languages. Our tour guide spoke English well.

Amazing castle - more finished inside than Neuschwanstein. You can freely walk around, up to the castle and around the courtyard however you'll need tickets to go inside with a tour. Worth the visit here if you're in Fussen.

The summer residence of the kings, the interior of the castle has been perfectly maintained since they ruled here. Each room has fantastic murals depicting fairy tale legends still original to when they were painted and not showing any aging. To get inside you need a ticket for the 30minute guided tour.

Bring a swimsuit 👙🩲 to swim in the lake after the tour! An impressive castle on the inside, and a nice exterior view especially from the lake. The forced guided tour only shows you a fraction of the castle 🏰 but it's enough to get a sense of how the knights and royalty lived here.
Alan Czajkowski — Google review
If you want to visit inside, booking in advance is a must. The tour inside is about 35 to 40 minutes, about 17 people per group. You can't take photos or anything, and you couldn't even spend enough time to appreciate the art and paintings due to they're kind of pushing to finish the tour.
The price of the ticket is rather expensive for what you will get.
For someone who doesn't have much interest in history or low budget. I would recommend Just go to look around outside the castle instead, it's very beautiful views and free.

Such an idyllic setting, it is a must see when undertaking the Romantic Drive in Bavaria, Germany. Visited in early May 23 and found it to be a fantastic attraction.
The day we got to visit was a little drizzly but it set the scene for a rather romantic time to do the tour through the castle. Our tour guide was a fun guy and added to the tour. Entry is by way of booked tickets and the whole process of visiting the castle is done quite precisely. You won't be disappointed.

Stunning, inside and out, with beautiful architecture and a rather interesting history. The grounds and castle are well maintained. Museum tour system was the most organized I’ve ever seen.

Interesting castle to visit, the architecture of the castle is kind of stunning even though it is not as picturesque as its neighbour Neuschwanstein from the outside.
The tour of the interior of the castle is 30-40 minutes long and you will be able to see 8 rooms of the castle. It isn't the best castle tour, but it's kind of expected since this is a 200 years old castle with not much history.

Must see castle in the Bavarian mountains. I highly recommend this castle tour over the neighbouring castle. Being much older than the larger castle next to it, the tour is much more interesting with some great insights and juicy stories from many centuries ago.

Great place to visit for a day trip to Southern Germany.
This castle was built in the 1800s by King Maximillian II. His son Ludwig lived there as a child and built the more photogenic castle across the valley when he was older.
This particular castle is very well preserved. All of the furniture is still inside. It’s almost as if the residence simply went away for the weekend and let you come in to take a look at it!
It is still privately owned, thus they do not allow any photographs to be taken inside. My wife and I found it interesting that the queen and king each had their own separate floor of the castle, however there is a secret staircase that connects their bedrooms for conjugal visits!
St Anton am Arlberg is a picturesque village situated in the Tyrolean Alps and serves as a gateway to the popular Arlberg ski region. It has earned the nickname "cradle of alpine skiing" for its influential role in inventing this adrenaline-pumping sport. The Museum St. Anton am Arlberg features a traditional chalet showcasing local ski history, while lifts and cable cars provide easy access to Valluga and Rendl slopes.
Fuggerei is a housing complex that has been operating for over 500 years, with a museum on-site. It has a rich history and was originally built to house those who couldn't afford their own homes. The complex is well-maintained and during the summer months, the houses are covered in lush green climbers. One of the houses is open to visitors so they can experience what life was like there in the past.
Beautiful historical place with the nice and smooth vibe.
To be honest, I am not fan of museum but I am happy that I have visited this place and got some information and knowledge through visiting this place.

It's 8 euros to visit this establishment but I think it actually should have free entrance or maybe even less entrance charge...1stly non of the original buildings exist...they were all totally destroyed during world 2 bombings by the allied forces...there is a bunker that was built during WW2 with pictures of the city during those tough times...show casing the history of the city... regarding the houses themselves they are occupied by residents....there is a museum showing the patron...it's like visiting a gated community type of thing...

Not worth the visit. 6,5€ for entering a street with nothing to do really... Yes, the houses here are hundreds of years old, but so well preserved ( and renovated) that there's nothing special to see...

An amazing community that was started over 500 years ago to help people who wanted to work but could not afford housing. The museum detailing history is a must see, and it is a worthwhile visit for the beauty of the buildings.

This is one of the oldest living settlements. The entry fees is €6.50 and they accept only cash. The whole area can be covered by foot and not much walk also. There is a fast food restaurant inside the settlement and WC.
The history about the settlement will blow your mind and there is a house where you can watch the short movie or listen to audio.
There are also museums which takes you back to 500 years.
Loved our time spent here :)

I visited Fuggerei, the world’s oldest public housing complex still in use. While the historical significance is undeniable, I found the €8 entrance fee to be steep for what I experienced. The housing units are unique, simulating living in individual houses, but overall, it didn’t quite meet my expectations.

Highly recommend if you are in Augsburg. Entry is cheap (8 euro for adult, 7 for student) and you can easily spend 1-2 hours there (wouldn't need much longer than that). It is really interesting to read about the Fuggerei and they have multiple museums within the buildings to read about the way people live, and other things like the war. There is toilets located here too.

A place rich with the history that goes back to 500 years. The main reason was to provide shelter to people who could not afford housing. Very well maintained and well illustrated. If you visit during the summer, then you can see the houses covered with beautiful green climbers. They still have a house open for the tourists, so that you can go and have a feel of how it was to live here during the old time. How was the lifestyle of the people in Fuggerei. They have their own small church inside the premises. There are families who still live here. You can walk through the entire area. They accept only cash at the entrance for the ticket of 6.50 Euros.

Only entrance fee of 7 Euro a bit high, but sight is a real historical sight with social background.
Family leisure park with thrill rides & an aquarium, plus German landmarks built from Lego.
Great place for whole family. Waiting time usually not more than 15 minutes (Monday beginning of July).
Ticket price ok for adults and kids over the height limit, but far too expensive for smaller kids who are not allowed to most attractions, but still pay full price.
Food ok, the best one we found is the City restaurant with nice buffet.

All of the displays were amazing, but the lines for rides were just too long. I highly recommend visiting during a week day instead of the weekend. Our toddler didn't handle the hour plus long waits for rides, so we spent most of our time walking around and checking out the different displays.

Mostly industrial food of low to average quality. It's tapas like, so that everyone finds something matching their taste. There's more than enough, especially if you bring kids since the portions are the same for all.
The steak is reconstructed. The chicken was quite tasty (that was the best of the meal in my opinion).
The servers were really nice. The room is extremely noisy.

We went to Legoland during the Easter holiday. The amusement park is beautiful and well-organized. However, if you don't buy the fast track tickets, you'll have to wait a long time to play the games. The food isn't too expensive and quite tasty. If you visit on weekends or holidays, it's advisable to purchase fast track tickets to avoid long waits.

Amazing place for small and big kids. The wait time for the rides is quite long so the Express pass is worth looking into. Or spend two days, there is enough to experience!

Very nice experience if you or even better your kid is a Lego fan. I imagine the experience for kids is really amazing. On the other hand, the park does lack rides that would be suitable for older visitors.
All in all would recommend, but don't get your hopes up too high as the park is also not really that big.

Amusement park for kids all ages starting from 5 or 6 years old. 2 days 2 night is perfect compromise to enjoy and have some rest however the park is not extremely huge so if not so many people best attractions can be tried in a shorter time...about the cost I wouldn't say that park, overnight, food is cheap but surely everything around including toilets are very clean

Legoland is the top attraction in case you have kids. Few tips & tricks to plan your visit well:
- if you can, plan your visit during work days, avoid weekends and public holidays. Even on Monday there were many people.
- Online tickets available only, please take care to buy it in advance. Parking ticket might be purchased online as well
- install app for queues monitoring, attractions planning, navigation
- note all rides closes 1 hr before park closing. And yes, Sealife aquarium also categorized as ride 😁Kids loved it! Diverse settings with fun rides and playgrounds. Main dining area best value to eat, especially, pizza. Take water since expensive to purchase on site. Get there early with a plan as to priorities in rides since some have longer wait times as the day progresses. I suspect summer months will have this park very crt due to its size (small).LegolandWe came here to meet friends who have older kids. I thought my one year old wouldn’t really get much from it. I was wrong! We all had a lot of fun! The duplo area is just perfect for the little ones and he absolutely loved it there! The food at the restaurant was also really good and the changing rooms are super well equipped. We’ll come back!

A great theme park with lots of activities for kids in all ages. Most of the rides are suitable for kids 6 and older, but even the older ones can find lots of fun activities. You’ll find roller coasters, water activities, 3D, maze, tea cups, food and drinks.
Don’t miss the Lego mini cities- quite remarkable!
Park closes at 18:00 and can be quite busy during the holidays.
Make sure to download the app for navigation through the park and queue times.

Basically very nice especially for smaller children. The problem is however that the park is overcrowded. During a seven hour visit you'll make maybe 30% of what you've planned. Example - savana ride. Waiting for 20 minutes for 2 minutes ride. Waiting for food is more than half an hour.

Had a great time there with my kid and husband, spent 1 day there and we would have needed more time. We bought the tickets in advance, about 2 months before the day.
The child was able to enjoy all the attractions even though he is around 120 cm tall (for some was mandatory to have an adult with him).
All the attractions were closed at 5pm.
The food is not that good, just junk food.

If you have kid who loves Lego or not, this place is a must visit!! It’s a proper 2 days holiday to cover all the rides (may not be enough for some). Please note all rides have height restrictions- minimum requirement varies from 100 to 130cm. Those fun and fast rides require 110cm as minimum. So check the website for the minimum height requirements for individual rides. And this is strictly followed due to safety and security reasons. My personal recommendation is wait until your kid is min 120cm :)
We visited here March last week 2024 just before the Easter holidays. It was for 2 nights and booked a family room in Kings Castle. We got lucky weather was amazing!!
We didn’t have our own car so, we visited here using public transportation end to end. Günzburg is the nearest train station. There’s direct buses from station to legoland park then to holiday village (hotel, villas etc). Time table completely varies, it’s either every 30min or 1hr interval (maybe 2hr during the lunch hour). This is applicable in either direction.
Here’s how we managed our travel- we reached Günzburg by train around 11:00 and there was bus. We reached there and did complete our check in process just at the entrance. And you can drop your luggage at the check in counter. They delivered directly to the reception building at the holiday village. This made whole process easier. We directly entered the park and enjoyed our rides until 5:30pm and directly headed to holiday village. This was about 10-15min walk. We found out where the reception building was and collected our luggage and brought it ourselves to kings castle where my room was booked. Breakfast was amazing at this hotel.
There are dinner buffet was available within the village and we had reservations done whilst booking rooms. We booked Pirate and duschland, first was fantastic and other one was ok-ok sorts.
After checking out, we returned to Günzburg train stations there are bus services 30min to 1hr intervals until 12:22pm, then it starts from 14:00ish again. (During the winter there are limited options, it appears that typically from March mid frequency gets increased).
LEGO Land park is baby stroller/pram friendly.

We had an amazing day out at Legoland Germany. We stayed locally, the night before and spent the entire day there. We went mid October Monday, so crowds were small. It’s was epic. Could have easily filled in 2 days, but had to keep moving. The kids 13 & 8 loved it. Roller coasters were appreciated by both the kids and adults. As an adult, I’d have to say, way cooler than I expected. Way cooler.

LEGO land in Gunzburg is one of the best playtime for kids. You need 1 full day to cover this park.
I have been just 1 week before Halloween and it was best experience for my daughter.
Ticket prices are variable and better to book early. Also I suggest to book online instead waiting in Q.
If your kids 3 above and looking for safe rides, then this is the first choice.

We booked a 3-night stay 20 days ago, the price was 330EUR for a campervan place to park and 2 day tickets for 5 people. We arrived on Sunday afternoon, the holiday Village was rather full. The facilities were clean, there was also a special cleaning machine for chemical toilet. Just be careful, some people use drinking water to clean their toilet. Yuck. It took about 7 minutes to walk to Legoland through a small wood. In the morning they open at 9.45, the rides start at 10 a.m. The waiting times differ a big deal- we waited 30 minutes for the top rides, 5 minutes for others. When it started to rain on Tuesday, there were absolutely no waiting times and the kids enjoyed Maximus ride 5times in a row. If it rains and you have a raincoat, you are in for a lot of fun. Just a note - there are definitely not enough places to hide from rain. If it rains and you want to sit for a while, no chance... just 2 pizza places which are permanently full. The food was nothing special - fast food schnitzel rather bad (10 eur) chips good (6eur), waffles very good (6eur), pizza okay(10eur), popcorn good(5,50eur). Alltgether the kids were over the moon, a place to go.

Awesome!! I highly recomand to buy tickets in advance!! My 4y and 6y were super excited. Even if we were in winter season and many attractions were closed, we barely had enough time to explore 80% of the park in ~6h

It’s a great park if you’re a Lego fan although somehow it feels older than it is (20 years old). Rides and attractions are ok although without much capacity, meaning you need to queue a fair bunch for very short rides (2-3mins). I can’t imagine that ratio during the high-season… Most of the staff was ok and average rude, not many English speakers. Plenty of shopping opportunities. We had a great family time but it’s unlikely that we will make the trip again.
Located in Friedrichshafen, Germany, the Zeppelin Museum is a top attraction that offers a rich display of exhibitions and art inspired by air travel. Housed in the historic Bauhaus building of the former harbor railway station, this museum is dedicated to showcasing the history of airship travel through an extensive collection of over 1500 unique items and historical multimedia resources. One of its main highlights includes the partial restoration of LZ 129 Hindenburg.
Super interesting museum about Zeppelins and the history of dirigibles in general. They used to build Zeppelins in Friedrichshafen, so now there is this museum. Inside there is a full sized section of the Hindenburg passenger compartment which you can explore, and a cool retro 3d film room. There are tons of historical exhibits, and a hands-on room with aeronautical experiments to play with. If you're in Friedrichshafen, it's worth visiting this museum.

It was interesting. The entrance it's about 12 € per person. Big enough the place but still something was missing to give 5 stars. I feel like if they could have more interactive things would be more interesting.
There was a painting area what I did not understand how is connected to Zeppelin...
I saw a little cabin lots of stuff from that century...parts, clothes typewriter, coins and stamps...etc.
I'm sure is also good for kids and they had a little area outside (near the front door) a "Zeppelin" playground. Looks like Zeppelin aircraft.

Interesting to know Zeppelin history. Nicely organized museum. You get to see two generic sections explaining history, mechanical design details( with kids there are small activities also explaining few principles along with few post cards to take away) and lastly with a 2-3 minute theatre clip. Also attached is a v2o restaurant, popular one in Friedrichschafen. Time to spent depends on your interest but typically could take 1.5 to 2 hours.
Mahi Ratnaakaram — Google review
Overall, the museum is pretty impressive as far as what exhibits it has on display, to include the largest remnant from the Hindenburg. There are also pieces from the Graf Zeppelin, and a room full of Zeppelin memorabilia and collectibles.
It was nice to see the audio commentary available in several languages, just wish that that the same could be said about some of the text as well. I just wish there was a focus on the DELAG airline, as I feel like that's a lesser known part of aviation history.
Either way, if you're an aviation fan, this place is well worth your time.

Unique, fun experience. Luckily it was a Sunny clear day for this once a lifetime experience in a zeppelin. The entire process is smooth, easy, and very comfortable. The staff and crew are great and make you feel relaxed and help you enjoy the many sights.

Very interesting museum having a very large collection of history about the time that zeppelins were invented and built.
There is a partial replica of the hindenburg on display, which gives a great impression of how it was to travel at the time in this craft. You can walk through the rooms and look out of the windows of the cabin of this replica.
There are many different models on display of zeppelins and their inventors and constructors. Also, other products that were produced at the zeppelin factory are on display like exclusive cars and special highly technical equipment parts that were sold to their customers.
I did not know, but the zeppelin fortune was donated to a foundation that still exists today and comprises many companies and the proceeds of which are used for good causes in friedrichshaven

Excellent staff lots of well designed exhibitions and the amazing interior of the Hindenburg, what is not to like! This museum is well designed so easy to navigate, but can get very busy,so sometimes you just have to be patient to see certain areas.

This museum is surprisingly entertaining. There's something about the way they built an actual part of a Zeppelin into the building that just makes it so unique. And the way they present details about how Zeppelins were made & how they work is so well done. You come out of there feeling like a Zeppelin engineer ready to make a Ted talk. Kids will love it too, lots of quirky nerdy stuff for them to do and learn from; just absolute gold, worth a visit.

Most happy that I decided on a couple of nights in Friedrichshafen so that we could make the most of a visit to the museum, without any time pressure to rush through.
I can't recommend the Zeppelin app highly enough; its feature of making available commentaries on nearby exhibits was first rate. It has the added benefit of being able to revisit information afterwards.
I don't know if the information cards that are available to pick up around the museum are supposed to be for children only, but I (hopefully) got the full set.
Included is a full scale replica of part of the Hindenburg.
For a complete excursion into the world of dirigibles, especially the most famous, synonymous name of Zeppelin, there can be no better destination

The museum is great. You go places with curtain expectations, but this museum has exceeded. Parts of Hinderburg Zeppelin in real aspect ratio, lot of nostalgia for this surreal airships, informations are great and well presented. Only one minus - shame that more labels are not in english also. I know that through Google Translate you can get it, but still...

The Zeppelin Museum in Friedrichshafen is an absolute gem! I had an incredible experience exploring its rich history and the fascinating world of airships. The museum’s well-curated exhibits are both informative and visually captivating. From the meticulously restored Zeppelin artifacts to interactive displays, it offers a comprehensive journey through the era of airship innovation. The highlight was walking inside a life-sized replica of a Zeppelin gondola. The staff is knowledgeable and passionate, eager to answer any questions. The museum’s location on Lake Constance provides a stunning backdrop. Whether you’re an aviation enthusiast or history buff, this museum is a must-visit.

Interesting museum for anyone interested in the history of aviation. Not a huge museum, but lots of knowledge if interested. Not too much for young kids. There was a couple hands on displays, but mostly targeting older kids and adults. Favourite fact: zeppelin crossed from Europe to South America in 86 hours.

The Ulmer Münster is a Lutheran church built in Gothic style, located in the heart of Ulm City. It boasts the world's tallest steeple at 161.53 meters high and features an impressive carved choir. The church is considered a must-visit landmark in Germany, offering visitors a glimpse into the Middle Ages with its lovely Gothic architecture.
Pictures from February, 2022.
The best experience and also the most challenging is to climb the stairs to reach the viewing platform at the top of the cathedral. Narrow staircases, straight upward climbing is quite exhausting. But really worth of giving it a try. Also the view from the top is really fantastic, a mesmerizing birdeye view of Ulm.

The Münster⛪ is a church built in the Gothic style. It is the largest evangelical church in Germany. The 161.53 meter high tower completed in 1890 is the highest church tower in the world🌍. As it is a must visit if you are in Germany.

If you are ever in Ulm, or passing by with a few hours for your next train connection, and if you like Gothic style buildings, you need to see this very interesting church building.
If you like taking bird’s eye views, this place will interest you, but be aware, there are many steps to climb up if you want to take great pictures of the town from above. Likewise, it will take you time to get back down.
The inside of the building is also marvellous with great designs and centuries old architecture.
This place is close walking distance from the Ulm Hbf train station and I would recommend a tour visit and if you can, go up to the maximum point where you can take unobstructed photos.

Tallest Church in the world! Lovely Gothic styled Luthern church in the Center of Ulm City. Gives a real feel of the Middle Ages. Go in for €5 without a tour. You can also make it 70 meters onto the towers via 320 stairs. Awesome place.

Amazing place because of the architecture and also the energy vibe in there. I recommend you to climb to the top and get a great view. I went on the morning and it was not busy. At the top you can find a small museum when they show you some pictures and paintings from other cathedrals. You can also see the big bells 🔔, just be careful they don’t scare you will you’re climbing.

With the tallest church tower in the world, Ulm Minster is, of course, the city's most dominant building. And the Münsterplatz square on which it stands is an endlessly fascinating place that offers a great mix of history and pioneering architecture. But there is more to Ulm than this. The former Free Imperial City boasts a variety of historical attractions,

Magnificent cathedral! The gothic aspiration up to the sky is impressive. Stone lace, sculptures, ancient frescoes, paintings are simply magnificent. But the greatest impression is made by going up to the observation deck of the highest bell tower in Europe. The price is not big, 5 euros. But while you climb to the top, you will curse yourself for your blissful curiosity!😄Descent from the bell tower is another adventure!

Tallest church of Germany. The entry is free. You can get a ticket to do stairs to reach the top of it. If you are into history, it provides a lot of great stories. The interior is filled with biblical stories. Nearby there are restaurants and open spaces where you can relax.

The Gothic-style ancient cathedral boasts a spectacular interior with soaring ceilings and intricate sculptures. Sunlight streaming through the large stained glass windows of the nave bathes the entire space in beautiful hues, creating a serene ambiance. When the bells chime, a tranquil stillness envelops the surroundings, offering a moment of spiritual clarity.
Climbing the high tower is an option, and if you have the stamina, reaching the top provides a breathtaking view of the surrounding city. Currently undergoing maintenance, access to the tower is limited, but once the restoration is complete, I look forward to returning to this place to embrace life anew.
Child-friendly leisure park with themed, toy-inspired zones, playgrounds, quarry & a climbing area.
Good place for kids and considering the cheap price i’d say it’s worth it.
there are lost of places where you can actually collect little toys and take home so that’s cool.
It’s nice that they let you enjoy all the stuff on your own and you don’t have staff members breathing down your neck 24/7.
the food prices are actually pretty good especially for a theme park, which i found really impressive.
overall fun for small kids and well priced.

great for a day trip with children up to age ten at a fair price of €15,90 and kids under three getting in for free. the little ones enjoyed all of the attractions including plenty of different playgrounds, life-sized Playmobil figurines, water parks, outside restaurants and an indoor area with plenty of Playmobil toys for kids to build and play with. the food is your usual overpriced theme park grease (fries, burgers and ice cream, no good vegetarian options, muffins straight from the freezer) and the hotel on site didn't look all that inviting, but the actual theme park is amazing for a long sunny day and the shop by the exit is actually worth a visit too because they have some special offers and sale items you can't get anywhere else.

A brilliant experience for the whole family. Best for families with children aged between 5 and 10 but there is something that everyone can enjoy.
We started out in the main Restaurant Hub building. Our Children (8 & 10) immediately became engrossed in all the playmobil toys freely available to play with in neat themed areas. Mum and Dad and Grandparents enjoyed some coffee (actually delicious and reasonably priced!) while the kids spent 30mins playing.
From here on we adventured around all the areas of the park. It’s worth noting that this isn’t a theme park in the rollercoaster / extreme rides kind of way. Think of it as more as an adventure playground but with everything you could possibly imagine or hope for in that!
The play zones are plentiful and excellent. The kids are safe but not controlled by rules or over zealous staff. The whole place feels freeing, and refreshingly uncommercial - baring in mind of course playmobil do want to sell their toys to your kids. But this isn’t Disney levels of unbridled capitalism. More old fashioned.
Each play area is themed around a playmobil range - it is basically all playmobil toys but blown up to full size. We particularly loved the pirate ship area with rafts, the police station with the go karts and the gold mine, where you pan for gold in the sand. Excellent - and all included in the price.
All the food is good quality and very reasonably priced. Again, not obscenely over inflated (see again… Disneyland 😭)
The only slight let down was the mini golf which we paid extra for. The course was a bit uncared for and the design a bit frustrating in places. Some holes a bit boring and some a bit too hard. It just felt like it could have been a lot better. Where were the playmobil themed bits? And the stream that is meant to run down throughout the whole course wasn’t working - and didn’t look like it had worked for a long time.
Overall just a brilliant experience for our family. Highly recommended.

Great place for kids but also for parents as well because we do NOT suffer here as the kids are enjoying themselves. You are allowed to bring some cake and homemade goodies from home. You also have the opportunity buy coffee, tea, croissants from their café or even eat a proper meal at the restaurant. The facility offers a lot more in summer but is also a great place in winter. We cannot get enough of this place and come here almost once every week.

Nice park for children up to 12 years (my opinion). Lot's of fun things to do. In the summer bring your bathingsuits with you, since there are many features with water.

It's totally worth the drive and the money. Plan to sped the day for sure. We went when it was wet and cold and still had a great time! There are inside options to warm up, the food is good, and of course, there are plenty of attractions to keep the kids entertained. If it's warm out, bring spare clothes or swimsuits for the little ones because it's tough to keep them dry with all the fun water play activities.
Parking wasn't too expensive for the day. We didn't bring a stroller but would have been able to get around with one just fine.

The Playmobil park vastly exceeded any expectations I had. It's like all of the coolest playgrounds you've ever been to x100 and all in the same place. There is seriously no end to the number of slides and things to climb on and water to play in. And for 13EUR for 9-19Uhr, I can't think of a better-valued place to take your kids for the day. I wish there were one of these in Berlin.
We also found (free) parking right on the street in front of the park entrance. It was a school day, but we didn't show up early and the park was quite busy. I was pleasantly surprised with the parking situation.

We went there with our 2 yr old kid. Most of the facilities that will fit older kids, probably 3-10. But our kid still enjoys sand pit and some of the slides. Nice place for families with younger kids. (But don't have expectations on food in the park.. fatty and oily and do not look delicious)

Very cool amusement park! I would say it's more for younger kids as my 9 yr old had fun, but my 2 yr old had a blast!!
We spent about 4 hours there, but easily could have spent the whole day.
I brought food from home as well as a change of clothes since there are water activities.
I used a jogging stroller to carry all the things, but if you have a wagon of some type that would be cool too!
We purchased popsicles & a few play Mobil toys.
Overall had a great time & will be going again soon!

The funpark is rather a huge playground. No attractions like rollercoasters. Ideal for kids up to 5-6 years, older children could be bored. Coffee quite poor. Water playgrounds funny. Tickets can be bought online only.

One full day should be enough but better take two days. Also better to avoid Saturday and Sunday because it can get really crouded. Parking is 5€ and entrance 18€ at the time of writing.

Absolutely amazing! The whole family loved this park, it's more of a laid back park than an amusement park, there were no queues, we played I the water, we all had fun! We arrived at 3 and the ticket is a little cheaper and also meant that the crowds had gone. It was Saturday during the holidays and we didn't see too many people. It was perfect. Make sure you take a change of clothes and costumes for the kids!
Melanie Rapuano — Google review
We took our 2.5 year old and expected we’d be done within 2-3 hours. We were wrong. He would’ve gladly stayed longer than the 6 hours we were there. The ideal age range for the park seems to be 4-9, but our (admittedly fearless) toddler found plenty to do. The play structures are huge and there are lots of books and crannies where kids can hide, so there did seem to be a lot of announcements about misplaced children. As others have mentioned, there is a lot of water play available even in April when we were there, and we were glad to have brought extra clothes. Food and parking was inexpensive (comparatively speaking), and the 3€ crepes were a hit for us. There’s also the largest Playmobil selection I’ve ever seen at their store. We had a fabulous time and wish we had one of these closer to home!

Very good place for children! When my family visited there, it was very crowded. Also, we spent 15 mins entering a parking lot. Nevertheless, we enjoyed food and diverse facilities. I recommend buying tickets in advance and bring swimsuits for children.

(Translated by Google) These towers are an eye-catcher for the city fortifications and unfortunately they are not accessible (it doesn't matter, the entire city wall is and an experience!!!). When the infirmary was incorporated into the city wall in 1370, a gate was to be built here to serve as the new southern entrance to Rothenburg. The defense of the gate was greatly improved in 1586 when this tall gate tower and eight-shaped bastion were added (the tower is visible from afar and is one of the reasons for the city's uniqueness). The bastion has 2 courtyards, has 7 gates, an upper passage and is surrounded by a dry moat into which you can walk. We could spend a good hour wandering the figure eight just admiring the exposed beams and covered bridge. The Latin inscription above the gate says: “Peace to those who enter; Farewell to those who leave.”

Located in the heart of the vineyards in Wurzburg, Germany, is a grand 18th-century palace known as Würzburg Residence. This lavish castle offers guided tours showcasing its exquisite frescos and paintings. It also boasts formal gardens that add to its charm and beauty. The Residenz palace is a significant architectural landmark, representing various European styles brought together under one roof.
I've visited the Residenz many times over the years and it's always an amazing experience. I love walking in the gardens, climbing the terraces and enjoying the view of the palace. This time I went inside again after several years and it was a very pleasant surprise to see how the presentation has changed. The large prints of black and white photos showing the destruction after 16 March 1945 add an impressive layer to the historic rooms.

We did a day trip from Munich to Würzburg and the palace is breathtaking. The work on the walls and the lighting and decor was mesmerizing. The fact that Napoleon spent a night at this very palace is special.
You can get a tour of the palace in English and the entry ticket costs €9/ per person and if you are w astudent you pay one euro less. The palace gardens are stunning.
Must visit if you are in Munich for a while
