Francesca, Fabiola, Luca and Filipe provided a most lovely experience! They were knowledgeable, entertaining, engaging and accommodating.
The truffle hunt was really fun and lunch was exquisite . Highly recommended!

One of the most amazing days we had spent on our month in Umbria. We had a driver from Spello to take us to Pettino and I'm glad we did -- it is quite the incredible ride up into the mountains. We were greeted with an espresso upon arrival at the farm, where we met the family. Loading into 4WD vehicle we followed Luca and his truffle hunting dogs up the mountainside, where they were let loose to hunt for the elusive truffles. The day was picture perfect. The views over the mountain side were breathtaking. Those industrious pups found truffles! We were then taken over the field where the sheet are herded, where Luca made us eggs with the truffles on a gas stove on his tailgate and all paired with Prosecco. Back at the farm we were treated to home cured meats, olive oil and wine, all while Francesca exhibited her pasta making skills. Lunch was in a lovely profession kitchen, consisting of the pasta and truffles (of course), followed by grilled fennel, pork and lamb. All accompanied by their wine! We finished up the meal with a tiramisu. It is a beautiful place and it will forever be in our memories.

We had the most amazing and authentic experience with the Wild Foods family in Pettino. So thankful we found this tour. In a jam-packed 11 days, the experience with Wild Foods Italy was hands down the best thing we did on our trip. It's hard to put in words what an incredible time we had and we will forever be grateful for the hospitality, amazing food, learnings and great times. Thank you from our whole family!

We had an amazing time with Francesca and her family. She greeted us with coffee in the morning. We then went hunting for truffles with 2 friendly dogs. After which we headed to a mountain top were we had champagne and omelets with truffles. Then back down for a home cooked meal...and more truffles! The day was very informative, warm and homey. Our son also enjoyed playing soccer with their son :) If you get the chance, I would highly recommend visiting Francesca.

This is a must do if you are in the area. Luca, Mac, Daniel, and Francesca were all great hosts and we had fun talking with them. Do come hungry because there is a lot food to be eaten. This was the highlight of our 10 day trip in Italy and we will be back again when we come back to Umbria one day.

The best day we spent in Italy! What an incredible experience Francesca and her family provided for us. A must must must do for anyone in the area. Even worth travelling to Italy just to experience. The most authentic and enjoyable Italian experience once could ask for.

Highlight of our trip! Despite thunderstorms passing through, we walked behind the dogs to witness their discovery and retrieval of truffles, but the family provided so many welcoming moments...eating eggs with truffle and Prosecco in the sheep pasture to the making of pasta for dinner and so much more. Such an engaging family!
Anne Gallivan — Google review
100% recommended!
We actually arranged our trip to Italy around the availability of the truffle hunt here, but later got a bit nervous that this was a bit too expensive. We went anyway and were totally blown away by the family that let us share a bit of their lives.
The day starts with coffee and a chance to get to know each other. Then off in the trucks to the higher woods and fields with the dogs. The dogs (well, maybe half of them) walk with us to to the various oak trees and find truffles under the soil. When they deliver these to the handlers, they are rewarded with a biscuit. This was fascinating to watch. (The other half of the dogs just did dog things).
After we collected enough, we drove to a high plain where we cooked and ate eggs with the truffles and drank a bit too much prosecco. The local sheep (and wolf hounds) joined us for a fun time in the sun.
Back in the little village, we were served unlimited wine, bruchette, and sliced meats. They made pasta from scratch, and then we were served an amazing late lunch with wild boar.
The conversations were real, we made good friends, and would definitely recommend this as a highlight of any trip. (We took too many pics - sorry!).

1) The museum of civilizations with local finds from pre-Roman and Roman eras.
2) The art gallery with a rich collection of works from the 14th to the 19th century
3) The olive oil museum, with explanation of cultivation, pressing, conservation and uses of the oil
4) Cloister and church of San Francesco, where, when we were there, there were exhibitions of contemporary art.
Furthermore, the vast museum complex is very well designed with respect, protection and enhancement of pre-existing structures; the exhibition is always well looked after with a route accessible to all thanks to the lift that connects the various floors; the visitor is accompanied in the discovery of the various environments.
You can feel the love of those who designed the setup.

The Museo della Porziuncola is a beautiful and spiritual place that holds great significance in the history of St. Francis. Located in Italy, it was on this site where he founded the Franciscan Order and also passed away. The museum commemorates his life and teachings through various exhibits and artifacts, making it a must-visit destination for anyone interested in learning about St. Francis or seeking spiritual enlightenment.
We made a pilgrimage from St. Clare, to St. DaMiano, to the Museo della Porziucola. We did not realize that we were retracing the last journey of St Francis before his death. He had gone to see Clare at DaMiano the day before his passing. What a beautiful and spiritual day. I highly recommend doing it.

The Basilica di Santa Maria degli Angeli is a 16th-century church where St. Francis founded his order in Umbria. The church boasts a history and art museum, and is located outside of Assisi, making it ideal to have a car if one wants to visit. Mass is held on Sunday mornings, but visitors can still explore the grounds during this time.
This Francis-linked site is a bit off the main trek, but should be considered essential and is actually rather easy to reach, particularly if coming in by train. It is an easy 1/2 mile stroll from the station.
Once there you will not only find the stone chapel that Francis and followers rebuilt at the start of his ministry, but a chapel marks the place of his death.
The complex is vast with interesting displays of creches, some focus on telling the story of Clair, and a large bookshop.
Connection between the train station and Assisi is available by a city bus ride - buy inexpensive tickets from the helpful shop at the station - that transports one near the top of town where gravity can lead you through the town.

A church within a church. The little church marked the place where St Francis of Assisi died, a church, the size of a hut was built to mark the place and some years later, a much bigger church, a Basilica, was built encapsulated the little church. The remains of St Francis of Assisi is in the tomb up the hill. The monks led the praying of the rosary in the little church, I witnessed much piety and reverence from the community. Thanks be to God.

I think everyone knows of this place if they visit Umbria. It is very famous but is a bit outside Assisi I recommend having a car if you want to get here. They have mass on Sunday mornings but you can still enter to look around even during mass which was a bit weird but still worth a look.

What an amazing little original church. It so suited St Francis. The elaborate one built around it, to protect it, would not have earned his approval. Nevertheless it is well worth the visit.

A very nice basilica in Assisi, probably often overlooked because people flock up to the hilltop to the town and the more famous basilica and other attractions. This is on the other side of the main train station of Assisi. It’s actually walkable distance from the train station. There is a nice museum, rose garden and gift shop in side as well. The piazza Della Porziuncola in front of the basilica is quite large and nice to walk around and take in the beauty of this place.

Amazing basilica build around the Porciuncula, a small chapel by St Francis
Alexander C. Reid — Google review
This is a very special place because inside this enormous church is the tiny church worshipped in by St Francis of Assisi. At the moment the outer church has scaffolding around much of the dome and inside as many repairs are taking place. However, you can still see the impressive art work and architecture. The small church is very special and still has the frescos inside. You can walk along a special bricked pathway from Assisi.
Debbie Rumsby — Google review
Often overlooked, but worth your time. Inside the Basilica , you will find the Porziuncola, where the young St. Francis prays , reflects and understood his vocation. At the back of the Basilica there are a lot of parking spaces. A must see if you are in Assissi.

The basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli is a Roman Catholic rite church located in Assisi . It has the dignity of a papal basilica and inside there is the Porziuncola , the chapel where Francis of Assisi gathered in prayer , and for this reason the center of Franciscan spirituality. On top of the facade of the temple stands the statue of the Madonnain gilded bronze modeled by Colasanti and cast by the Ferdinando Marinelli Artistic Foundry of Florence .
Michelle de Rotterdam — Google review
It's a beautiful basilica but it's going through a renovation/fixing era. Therefore you're not going to be able to fully enjoy the church with its paintings. However, you will have a special moment for prayer there and one relic from San Francisco. You'll also be able to witness the rose garden of San Francisco and the little cell in which he used to sleep about other little treasures like the gift shop.

San Damiano church in Assisi is a 12th-century rustic-style building with cloisters. Although not very artistic, it has gained popularity due to its historical significance and association with Saint Francis and Santa Chiara. It is often referred to as a small hut of linens located on the corner of a house. Unlike other holy places in Assisi, San Damiano is not located in the center of the town which makes it less crowded.
Not in the center of Assisi, hence not crowded as other Holy places in the town. However, the tiny church is amazing as it also has a significant role in Christianism and Italian literature. St. Francis wrote the Canticle of the Sun here, known as the earliest known vernacular literature written in the Umbrian dialect of Italian.

Oh my word. San Damiano is beautiful. It is the place, where in 1205 St Francis heard God speak through a beautiful cross. It has not changed much since that time apart from some repairs and improvements. It is a place of prayer and quiet reflection. It is definitely worth a visit to look round and pray.

While it no longer houses the original San Daminao cross (that one hangs in the Basilica of St. Clare), definitely still check out this church. It provides an excellent glimpse into the lives of the Poor Clare's, and is home to several notable places in St. Clare's life (including the place where she died). The experience is nice, not too touristic. The place “explains” itself with some boards throughout the tour.

Ready to drive to with a small parking area and nearby WC. This is the site of the chapel first adopted and rebuilt by St. Francis. Later it was the convent of St. Clare, who lived and died here, and the Poor Sisters. You can reserve a tour time online via the Sanctuary's website. The tour is free and self guided. There are pamphlets in multiple languages with details about each stop on the tour, plus signage in Italian and English.

The Basilica of Santa Chiara is a 13th-century church located in Assisi Square. It is dedicated to Saint Clare, the founder of the Order of Poor Ladies, and contains the tomb of St. Clare. The church is very beautiful and well worth seeing.
Santa Chiara...I woke up every day seeing sun slowly rising above Santa Chiara. Yes, serene.
And that to have luxury to pray every morning before St. Francis cross there, priceless.
You can feel that it all started here.

A truly beautiful place to be. Occasionally it will get a bit noisy, but it calms down soon enough. The tomb of St. Clare shows a beautiful testimony of her life and is an excellent dedication to her, as are the relics which can be seen just after you visit the tomb area. There is the main altar area, the side chapel (which houses the tabernacle and is especially dedicated to silent prayer), and the altar above which the original cross of San Damiano hangs. Each one provides a different atmosphere in which to pray or to simply be present, and all are wonderful. There is nothing like gazing upon the original Sam Damiano cross. Definitely do not miss this church in Assisi.

Eremo delle Carceri is a hermitage and oratory located on a forested hillside that dates back to the 13th century. It was an important place of worship for St Francis and other saints who lived there during that time, making it a holy ground filled with their spiritual essence. The peaceful environment of the woods provides an ideal setting for deep meditation and prayer, offering visitors a chance to connect with heaven.
If Francis has ever provoked something within you, this is a great place to come; to sit in a chapel service, to offer a short prayer in his cave and see how drastically different his method of following Jesus was from us today or walk and pray the many trails that intersect the area as you search for God. Highly recommend a full day—don’t just come and see—come, pray and search for what is behind what caught your attention about St. Francis in the first place.

If you go to Assisi, a beautiful sanctuary to go to is Eremo Della Carceri. You can walk the 4 km up hill, with spectacular views which takes between 1-1 1/2 hrs. There is a welcome cafe at the entrance 🙂. The caves here are where St Francis and his brothers lived and prayed and the monastery was built around them. The grounds on the mountainside are so peaceful to walk and pray in. The monastery has some small passages and narrow stairways, but this adds to the atmosphere. The monks there are very welcoming. Beautiful.

If you visit Assisi, the Eremo delle Carceri is the perfect destination to follow the footsteps of St Francesco. If you decide to walk up, it is a 4,1km, approx. 1,5 hours steep uphill rocky hike, but it is well worth it, as the scenery is breathtaking. The hermitage is just pure serenity, the perfect place to connect to St Francesco. You can feel all that he stood for. It is a truly sacred place.

The Basilica of Saint Francis in Assisi is a historic church and Christian pilgrimage site. It is situated on a hillside and features remarkable Gothic architecture adorned with medieval artwork. Originally built as an ancient hospital, the Palazzo del Monte Frumentario, it now houses two separate churches stacked on top of each other. UNESCO recognizes this architectural masterpiece as a World Heritage Site since 2000.
This cathedral is an awe-inspiring place! All the frescos by Giotto are masterpieces. The place is steeped into history, religion and significance. Well worth the daily trip from Rome.
Hugo Pedro-Martins — Google review
A tranquil beautiful place. The building was quite overwhelming in its quiet magnificence. So disappointed not to be able to take photos but totally understood. The ceilings around the altar are so breathtaking in their beauty. The architecture and different painted scenes are complex and overwhelming in the skill seen. Some of the best I have witnessed in my journey to Rome and Assissi. Italy's architectural gifts are blessed. The crypt where the remains of St Francis lies is small well lit staffed and busy. There are pews to rest upon to enjoy moments of quiet reflection and candles can be purchased which are lit after one's departure. The views from outside the Basilica are far reaching and splendid. A place to hold in the heart.

The Basilica of St. Francis is marvellous and mystical place, bringing together a number of renaissance masterpieces and an extraordinary architectonic complexity. Cimabue, Giotto, the Lorenzetti brothers, Simone Martini – the greatest artists of the 14th Century, have painted frescoes on the walls and ceilings of this place. An obligatory destination for believers and non-believers alike, appreciating art and architecture.

We enjoyed walking the streets of the little village of Assisi.
Assisi was the birthplace of St. Francis, who founded the Franciscan religious order in 1208.
Papal Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi was where St. Francis was born and died. The Basilica consists of an upper and lower sanctuary, where St. Francis is buried. The church is decorated with gorgeous geometric designs, frescoes painted in many colors, some with gold stars on a blue painted background.
The best is to hire a private guide, and I recommend this, to understand the historical significance of this holy site,
but I used my phone to get the right info.

A beautiful church with an interesting history. It was built in the 13th century on a hill where death sentences were carried out, known as Hell's Hill. Later the name was changed to Paradise Hill (after the canonization of St. Francis). Here is the tomb of St. Francis.
When visiting the basilica, it is worth strolling the streets of Assisi. However, only 8 km away (approx. 20 minutes by car) there is another Basilica with an atmospheric, tiny church inside, rebuilt by St. Francis.

A historic and amazing basilica, obviously a must visit while you are in Assisi. Must visit both the Inferiore (lower) and Superiore (upper) basilica areas. The Inferiore piazza is quite large as captured in these pictures. The basilica superiore is so peaceful and serene, true to the nickname of Assisi, the city of peace, no wonder a UNESCO a World heritage site. If you have only a day to spend here, would recommend visiting the basilica in the evening hours, as you can make a the most the most out of it with the spectacular views during the sunset hours from up top of the whole area and the valley.

Beautiful sanctuary, it is really amazing to walk around and see how beautiful it is inside. It has high and lower levels. In the lower level, you can find the tomb of Saint Francis de Assisi. It was the most spiritual place I visited recently. There is also a shop downstairs you need to go straightforward up to the end of the high level then take the stairs to go down. To find the Basilica you have to walk 15 minutes but there are a lot of shops around and restaurants, a good tip is to go early in the morning to enjoy the place and walk through the medieval small roads. You can find parking inside the town or outside in the public parking. Really amazing place!

Amazing morning at the museum. We didn't book ahead and we probably should have. School groups were touring on the same day so when the guide finished with them, he offered to take us around. His English was limited but we managed and he was so kind to take us around. He showed my 6-year-old how to make paper and let him try it out. Highly recommended activity for families. I suggest to plan better than we did and go when there is an English tour so it's even better. There's a great playground and park across the street where you can do a picnic after.

I went to the Museo della Carta e della Filigrana for a class field trip and was able to learn a lot! At the museum there is a demonstration of the paper production. It is very hands on and you can make your own sheet of paper with the help of the guide. We were able to go to different rooms and look at different machinery. We also learned about money and how different currencies can be easier or harder to forge due to the technique used to make it. Overall it was an incredible experience and I would recommend to anyone!

I went here for a class field trip! It was really cool to see because they take you through their history, you can also actually make paper if you take a tour. It is old fashioned but they show you how they keep up their modern touch. The town surrounding the factory is also very nice. It is totally worth seeing and making a stop at their factory with their excellent guides!

I went to the Museo della Carta e della Filigrana on a class field trip about a week ago. When we first walked into the museum, you find yourself in a foyer area surrounded by works of watermarks on paper. The tour guide approached our group and she announced that she was ready to get started. Our tour guide, Francesca, was very informative throughout the whole experience and was more than willing to answer our questions to her full capabilities. The first room she took us in, she showed us the first machine that was able to turn washcloths into a flattened paper that people are able to write on. In that same room she brought a colleague and showed the group first hand how to make the paper. They were also nice enough to allow some of my classmates to experience this process with their own hands. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to anybody who is interested in this subject. I know I learned a lot about paper making that I never thought I would learn.

Museo della Carta e della Filligrana was a great museum. I visited the museum on a field trip with my university. Paper was born in Fabriano, the second most important Italian paper mill. At this museum you can watch the process of paper production and can have a hands on experience of producing their own sheet of paper! You are able to go through many different rooms containing old paper mills, old paper production, the vats and presses and machinery. To think about the ties it has to marketing and how it has evolved is very important with where marketing is today.

My visit to the Paper and Watermark Museum in Fabriano was wonderful. I attended the museum with a group, and our guide, Francesca, was very interesting and wanted us to be hands on when explaining the process of paper making. Great establishment, I would recommend stopping if you are in the area.

(Translated by Google) It overlooks Piazza Papa Giovanni Paolo II and can be reached from a small street adjacent to Piazza del Comune. It is dedicated to the martyr Venantius, a saint venerated in various cities in the Marche and also the patron saint of Camerino (the patron saint of Fabriano is, however, Saint John the Baptist). The religious building was built in the Early Middle Ages, was enlarged in the fourteenth century and then remodeled in the first half of the seventeenth century; of the structure of the original building only the polygonal apse, the cloister and the chapel of San Lorenzo with valuable frescoes dedicated to the life of the saint and a fresco representing the Madonna with the Child Jesus and Saint Venantius remain.
I found the interior splendid, which has a single nave, around which there are chapels decorated with stucco and gilded friezes and with paintings and frescoes, which I admired carefully for a long time.
Only in 1728, when the city was elevated to the seat of a diocese, did the church become a cathedral and, in 1963, it took on the name of "basilica".
A true "artistic jewel" to visit!

Yes, a while passed, the host came to the table and in a very direct, not really friendly language he told us that the table was reserved and that we should get up. A plastic table and the very special way of communication didn't convince us. We left the restaurant and went to another pizzeria. We wish the host good luck for the future, but we can't give a good review.

What a wonderful climbing adventure for all ages!! Really nice, professional and helpful staff who gave clear instructions in good English and stayed along the route to assist the entire time. Kids trails are really nice and worthwhile for the young ones, well taken care off with even chairs for parents to watch. Canyon 1 is a great challenge for the older kids but such a unique trail within the great nature of the canyon and above the rivier. Our whole family had a wonderful day at this park, would definitively recommend it to everybody!

The Falesia Second Tower is a significant historical structure that boasts a small museum showcasing various weapons. From its top, visitors can enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding city, mountains and sea. San Marino itself offers numerous shops that sell a wide variety of goods, as well as cafes and restaurants where patrons can sample delicious meals. Visitors should be aware that reaching the castle involves climbing many steep steps, but there is an elevator available for those who may struggle with physical exertion.
TLDR: beautiful scenic views from the second towers with an arms museum as well
We walked from the first to the second tower and it took somewhere around 10-15 minutes. There are scenic views from both but this one also contained an arms museum inside which had some interesting pieces like coats of arms and guns. There is also an awesome view of the third tower (which you can walk to but can’t enter). Highly recommended the 11 euro ticket to see both towers and all the state museums, only 2 euros more than the nine euro ticket to only see both towers
Wilson Tsang — Google review
Well worth the money to climb the tower and get incredible views from the top. There are only regular stairs to climb this tower.
The best views this tower affords, are those over the town, rather than of the surrounding countryside, which are also incredible and vast. It's great to be able to see most of the city splayed out over the mountain from this tower.

San Marino - what a place!!! So many little shops where you can buy big variety of goods.
If you are hungry, here you will find many great caffes and restaurants where your stomach will be delighted!
Views from top of castle are breath taking! You see Adriatic sea and surrounding agricultural lands of Italy.
You just have to know, that arrival to the castle will be very steep and many steps you will have to climb. So if your legs are not the strongest part of the body, better take elevator.
Grab your camera and prepare to make some amazing pictures from there!!!
Enjoy as I enjoyed my time here!
Martynas Sadlauskas — Google review
The Castle and Tower themselves are small, but for the price it's a nice way to spend an hour or two. The views from the Tower - IF you can climb it- are spectacular. The gardens are lovely. And the small museum is very informative about San Marino' s history. I definitely recommend making the effort to walk through if you're here. Just beware that to climb the Tower itself, you must go up a ladder where at the top there are metal wire steps (rebar) and a tight-ish space to squeeze through. Definitely not safe for kids.
Christina M — Google review
The view here is even better then the first tower, where the mountain looks more dramatic. You can visit an arms museum, enjoy forest walk and there is more tourists structure. You can also see the third tower in a distance. It’s worth the ticket.
Being one of the greatest landmarks San Marino has to offer to the world, Cesta Tower, more commonly known as the Second Tower is a quite nice structure that speaks history. Serving today as a museum, it offers every single visitor to get a glimpse in the super amazing and longstanding history the "Land of the Free" has to show. A visit to this architectural structure is a must!

The pathway is relatively uncomplicated, although it should be noted that individuals with mobility issues are advised against attempting it due to the presence of numerous stairs. Castello di Gradara is a hilltop medieval castle featuring brickwork turrets, battlements, and a museum of history. The castle is steeped in a tragic story akin to that of Romeo and Juliet, inspiring renowned writers like Byron and Dante. The area surrounding the castle offers diverse landscapes ranging from mountainous terrain to art-filled cities such as Urbino and Ascoli Piceno, as well as the beautiful beaches of Conero Riviera.
Amazing medieval village, well kept, really worth seeing. We didn't have time to get into the castle itself but I'm sure it is as amazing inside as outside.
If you are around this area, I strongly recommend to come and spend few hours here.

A wall of about 800 meters in length encloses inside the castle and the village of Gradara in the lower part ; of it, in about 20 minutes you can cover the stretch that overlooks the village.
The visit to the castle with furnished rooms and to the village can last a little more than an hour.
There are various paid parking lots, the last one just under the walls.
It can also be reached by bus with departures from Pesaro - Gabicce Mare - Cattolica.
Construction began in the 12th century and continued in various stages over the following centuries.
Although there is no absolute certainty, it seems that the famous drama of "Paolo and Franesca" took place here, two lovers who were eventually killed by her husband and who are mentioned in Dante Alighieri's "Divine Comedy".

Kind of rubbish place. I've been literally robbed: 70 euros for 2 adults and 2 children, when something like this is in the UK would not cost more than £35 with a family ticket.
The place is for most of its part inaccessible to impaired and disabled person. It's also poorly maintained (rubbish everywhere, gums, ashes) and the staff almost unwilling to work.
The entrance was so distressing and unfriendly which I was tempted to run away.
The worse of all is that being on holiday I clearly was not having a printer and the guys were kind of not keen to let me in because they were not able to use their scanner on a mobile device.
An overall visit could last no more than 2.5 hours, with the best being only the one with fishes. The new entry, built in 2016 is kind of joke, with some posters and some plastic animals.
Absolutely not worth all that money. A place like this should cost no more than 7 euro per person.

This is one of the most popular place in the area so a little planning is needed!
First of do not visit the park in peak hours which are between 12 - 15.
Come as early as possible or at 16 (plan about 2h to see everything).
Buy tickets online to skip the queue.
Do not plan to eat here as there are to many people with the same idea, instead you can get food at plenty of restaurants nearby that also have better food.
Take your time in the aquarium (blue pavilion) as that us the highlight. People move fast so if you wait a minute you can usually get a great view.
Parking can be scarce in the area so if you cant find a spot you can try to park in the streets and walk there.
Pricing is a bit on the high end but children love it so it is worth it as long as it is not to crowded. Also buyin online the tickets are cheeper by up to 20%
I would recommend visiting the aquarium on a thursday or friday.
4 stars as it was a bit pricey and some areas are a bit run down.

Oltremare is a popular park that showcases the intricate relationship between humans and nature. It offers various attractions, including interactive displays, dolphin shows, and bird of prey exhibitions. The park provides visitors with a unique experience through its land and sea journey. Oltremare also features discounted entrance tickets at selected hotels. Language barriers can be an issue for non-Italian speakers during significant events, but overall it's an enjoyable place to visit for both adults and children alike.
Very nice park for families and kids. The main attraction of the park is the show with Dolphins, but there are also shows with Birds of Pray, Parrots, etc. The park is focused on nature, ecosystems, and interaction with animals. For instance, there is a path that take you to see farm animals, and along the path is possible to learn more about the animals and have interaction with them, such as riding a horse, feeding chickens, etc. The central part of the park hosts the Dolphins, and there you can also learn quite a lot about marine ecosystems, bug mammals, etc. In the park, there are a lot of stores selling foods, ice creams, and other interesting sweet things for kids. Overall is a quite a good park for families, and I suggest having lunch in one of the many internal restaurants, and spending at least one afternoon in the park.

The staff is very gentle and brave. Oltremare can be reached even by bus, (Aquafan Stop bus 58). Advise: organise your visit according to the time of the shows and buy your ticket online. Enjoy it :)

The dolphin show is very good, and the parrot- fly too! Nice place, nice caretakers, it seems that the animals love it here. We bought the combi ticket online.

The show with the dolphins and birds is amazing. Absolutely interesting for kids and adults, if you want to see everything and eat there, you are gonna need to spend 5-6 Hours there. The Personal is friendly, there are shops, restaurants, lot of kids playgrounds, worth every penny.

Generally good and interesting. But it's biggest issue: almost no translation into English (or any other languages) for the bigger events. And I'm not talking about the shows.
Nevertheless: it was a good day and our son, 7 years old, liked it anyways.

Worth entrance fee for the Shows, Dolphin s Birds of Prey and Parrots, needs refreshing a little but recovering from Covid period, Piadina was tasty though

This was a beautiful experience with really good shows. We visited during outside of season on Sunday, it was less crowded and we could see all shows twice.
This place reserves more recognition, nit to mention that staff was really friendly, you could see that they care about animals, place an customers. Highly recommended.

Amazing dolphins show. Worth seeing no matter what's your age. There is also plenty of other things to do in the park: birds of prey show, tropical forest, ponies, adventure island. We've spent there 6 hours, totally worth the asking price.

Awesome place for young and old! You can spend here whole day. I don't regret spend any money for this adventure!

This is a great place for family with kids. There is a big aquapark next to it but Oltremare fun park is worth of 1/2 day visit. Come early like 9:30 and you will get parking under the trees and you will be on time for all commented attractions during day. Flying birds show, and a especially do dolphins 🐬 it was fabulous. 25mins show limes which are kind of going from one to the next one. It is definitely possible to spend here whole day.

One of the best places I've ever visited, such a beauty, clean, a lot of animals and shows... Certainly worth more than 10 *,and if you are ever in Rimini, or close by, don't allow yourself to miss it, trust me, you'll be missing A LOT!!!

Could be better. Dolphin show is short and first 10 minutes could be removed as we came to see dolphins and not dancing people...

First of all, I would like to talk about the positive things: The park offers a few different shows which are all nice to watch. The possibility to take photos with the animals is certainly a cute idea for the kids. However, the question arises whether it is good to sell the animals for 25€ per photo (?).
The dolphin show is of course the highlight of the park. It is also really cute and wonderful. However, at Oltre Mare, special attention is paid to pollution. There are pools filled with water and dirt that can be found in the sea, as well as animals that have been recreated from the garbage that floats in the sea. The sad and impossible part of the whole thing is the following: While down on sustainable and environmentalists is pretended, above the dolphins are kept in captivity. Now, I do not know of course whether the dolphins, since they were small, live there - then again they would probably have no chance of survival in nature and thus it is hardly animal cruelty. HOWEVER, the animals are still tortured. In the lagoon. The children step over the barriers, bang against the glass and provoke the dolphins. With sounds, noise and their hands they stress the dolphins, which according to the animal protection law falls under animal cruelty. And the parents do nothing about it, they even join in.
I am aware that there are probably too few employees to post guards in the lagoon, but it cannot be that the animals have to suffer from the inconsiderate behavior of the people.

I cant wait to go back here .. it was really nice and you see animals and shows you don't see here..it was so amazing. The only thing I will say there was a part you collect photos and the attitude of the staff there was really bad all we did was collect our photos and they were huffing and puffing like we were a nuisance no eye contact at all. So rubbish service here. But otherwise all the rest of it was so amazing..
Fiabilandia is a seaside theme park that caters to younger children and features various rides, water games, and a restaurant offering seafood buffet. The amusement park offers diverse entertainment options that both kids and adults can enjoy. Although most activities are geared towards children, there are some thrilling attractions designed for adults. Admission costs 24 euros per person for the entire day, which includes unlimited access to all entertainment options within the park.
There are a lot of entertainments there. Mostly they are for kids but adults can also try. There are some interesting and exciting which should be for adults. The ticket was 24 euro for each person for the whole day. You don't need to pay for any entertainment when you go in. But there are some shops and restaurants that you can buy snacks or so on. I strongly suggest this place to visit at least once. If you go there with your friends it would be more exciting 😉

If you have children less than 12/13 years old this is the place where they can have a real fun! In April not at all overcrowded and you can have all the rides that you want! Yes the attractions are a bit dated but my children didn’t mention it! For sure is less expensive of other Parks and the food served in the restaurant there was not bad!

Best place for a 3 year old on holiday. If you buy tickets you can revisit free of charge the next day, but make sure you collect a wrist band for each of you on the first day and keep the admission tickets so you can enter the next day (you must not take the wrist bands off either or tamper with them, or the park might think you've transferred them to someone else). Amazing place to visit.

What a day! The kids loved it. Tones of rides and we must have picked a good day as there were no lines to get on the rides. They are investing in new rides as they are in construction. Fair price considering everything inside.

Love the park. Yes its old, however a nice day out. In the past the food was good but is now not so good and expensive. WARNING if you have nut allergy, bring your own food as NO food in restaurant is suitable for nut allergy sufferers. DISGUSTING yes, you have to go hungry all day!!!!

Quite expensive, car park need to be paid separately. £24 for an adult meal 17 for child 5£ for car park. All the rides are quite old and dated. Rude staff. We went into a ride with our 2and half years old where we thought is age appropriate and it wasn’t as for all the rides there is no preview of what it is to come and she got so scared in the tunnels as it was quite high speed and shaky and abrupt. She then did not want to use other train rides. On the ticket it says you can use it for two consecutive days and in order to do that you need to let them know at one of the snack station before exit. We went there the lady was so rude and rushed us as she said she needed to close this was around middle of the day… then she asked us to put on some bracelets and wear them until the next day when we will come back for our second visit. I said I do not want to wear it till them as they are quite uncomfortable, if there is not another way she then shouted back saying no if you want to come you wear them and not take them off. I felt really not valued as a customer and would never come back. Not a good value for money at all. There are better park in Italy this is the worst one. If you come back second day you have to pay again for car park. Overall very pricey and not worth the money

Wonderful place for kids and adults. The circus was amazing. Very talented people. Good work everyone. There is lots of fun for all ages, there are water games, it's nice to wear a swimsuit or something to change into if the kids get wet. The fact that the ticket is for two days is also very well thought out. We liked it a lot.

Great place to spend a day with your kids! Most of the rides were suited for our 2 and 5 year old kids and most of the rides we took with them, which was fun for us too! There are several places to eat and drink. I recommend going there off season like we went at the beginning of April since there was very few people and we felt like the whole amusement park was ours. There was no queue for any ride and we could take as many rides as we wanted in a row.

This place is a great experience for kids and also for the grown-ups who still keep their child spirit, while the others who've lost it might comment on the age of the installations and the exfoliated paintwork here and there. For us, there was great fun visiting Fiabilandia, a 100% functional and well maintained theme park despite it age (just imagine how many generations of children have had fun here since 1965, when it first opened, when a theme park was an unknown notion to many countries, such as mine). Attendants here are friendly and helpful. And don't forget to pack your swimsuit, you'll need it.
Daniel Ivanovici — Google review
The idea itself is quite nice. But the park looks really old, there are no indications, many attractions creak and scratch, there's quite a lot of rust. Also some attractions are far too slow, for instance the "Fiabilandia express" - what a joke, how come the Express-train moves slower than my 3 year old daughter goes? 😄 same for "Lago del sogno" and some others.
Still I would recommend to go there if your children are under 10 years old. Good thing is that you can go once more for free on the next day.
Irina Chistiakova — Google review
It's overpriced for sure, almost everything looks very used. Reminds me my childhood) Overall, it's good place to spend 3-4 hours, but don't expect much. Lots of attractions for 2-7 years old.

Via Gerolamo Cardano, 15 Rivazzurra, 47924 Rimini RN, Italy
Rimini is a city situated on the coastline of the Adriatic Sea in the Emilia-Romagna province of Italy. It has gained notoriety for its lively beachfront nightlife and shallow waters. To the south, there is an old Franciscan church called Malatestiano Temple which was refurbished during the 15th century and today serves as a tomb for Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta, a local aristocrat.
Marinando is an association that offers boat tours underneath the Tiberius Bridge, a picturesque ancient Roman bridge with five arches. This eloquent Istrian stone architecture was designed by the Romans and features handles that redirect the flow of the Marecchia River's current to reduce its force on the bridge. The bridge has historic significance as it marks the beginning of Via Emilia, an important arterial road between Rimini and Po river valley.
Beautiful old bridge, fantastic area for just chilling in sun, surrounded by great food. Lots of nice seats overlooking water, and access to park. Spent more time here than beach!

Very old!!! I cannot believe I can stand on a bridge that was built in Jesus's lifetime! It feels as though you are connected to ancient roman days. Truly incredible. It's funny to see the locals pass by you without thinking about the deep historical context. Just wow.

Absolutely loved the old Roman bridge, Ponte di Tiberio! It's majestic and the fact that all the arches stand on a single foundation, and have been for so long, is amazing too.
Anjali Gopakumar — Google review
Absolutely amazing to think that this bridge is over 2000 years old and still being used to this day to carry all sorts of transport over it, the Romans certainly new how to build things that could withstand the test of time, awesome

Quaint little town with a cute little parade of cafe's and restaurants. The bridge itself is very special and feels like the town has been beautifully preserved from the past. If you're nearby, worth visiting, otherwise not worth any major detours.

Impressive bridge, built in 14-21 years a.D., during Christ's life! Try to visit it twice - in the evening and after sunset, like me :)
The La Ruota Panoramica Ferris wheel offers breathtaking vistas of the sea, marina, and city from a stunningly high vantage point situated on a small beach peninsula. Riders can enjoy four full rotations while taking in the captivating coastline of Rimini from above. Although ticket prices may vary, many would agree that the cost is well worth it for such an incredible panoramic experience.
We were there by bike. And saw the thief which wanted to steal our bikes, he cut our plugs. There are many thieves. Be very careful. Take your begs in your hands. View was from the steel very beautiful.

Wanted to ride, but at a cost of €25 for two adults and a child, you've got to be kidding!
Now I know why its basically empty. Shame, I would have paid €10.
Walk 100m down the road and you can drive Go-Karts for €2. Thats more fun if you ask me.

If no fear of heights then just take a ride. The ride duration is actually pretty long if there is no long queue. In the night you will have a gorgeous view.

Pros: You can get some breathtaking sights.
Cons: cloudy glasses prevent you from taking cool pictures. As for me, the wheel spins too fast. It seems a bit overpriced.

Nice ferris wheel on the beach of Rimini. A bit expensive though €9 for adults and €6 for children until 10 y.o. Babies and infant are free admission. Beautiful view and panorama in the evening, so if you plan to go and have a ride, better in the evening.

It was a nice program for our last night in Rimini. Although it is very far from the centre.

This wheel is pretty high, you get to have 4 spins and see the coast line of Rimini from above. We paid 22 euros for 2 adults and a child but I would say it was worth it.
Italia in Miniatura is a theme park that showcases small-scale models of famous Italian buildings, including the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli and Portiuncula Chapel. Additionally, there are models of European structures and rides for visitors to enjoy. The park offers an intricate and accurate depiction of Italy's architecture and provides a unique perspective on the country's history. A visit to Italia in Miniatura is highly recommended for those who appreciate miniature things and have an interest in Italian culture.
Very beautiful park. The miniatures were very impressive and detailed. Good for both old and young - my parents and I had a great time, and stayed for 6 hours at the park. The few other attractions beside the miniature of Italy is enough for a whole day of fun.
Freja Tousgaard Andersen — Google review
We felt like a bit of a change from visiting the beach so we found this place. A little bit outside Rimini we arrived to find ample paid parking (3€ per day). We then went in quite quickly without queues, probably due to covid. We spent about 45 minutes walking around the part of the park with the miniature building from all over Italy which were well made and interesting for us as we have visited many of the places. We then wondered round to see what else the park offered, not much! We took a ride on the Pinocchio ride which took about 2 minutes and the story was told only in Italian and felt very dated. Maybe for very young Italian kids it would be OK. Then we went on the boat trip around mini Venice, quite nice but nothing amazing. We then went for the parrot experience which was 2 large beautiful parrots that sat on the metal cage screaming. Last but not least we took a 5 minute ride on the mono-rail around the park. All in all, I felt that the 22€ price tag was a bit steep and maybe for kids of between the ages of 4 and 10 it might be interesting but other than that pretty underwhelming!

I just love this place. I have been to other such theme parks, but this one will remain in my memory the most. More than 300 buildings in perfect construction. A display of history and present in one park. Very nicely decorated, suitable for children and groups. I recommend all parents to take their children to this phenomenal experience at least once.

Well worth the visit. I love miniature things so I had to come see Mini Italy. It was perfect and had a lot more than I was expecting. They also had a mini Europe section with about 5 structures and some rides. Really enjoyed it.

I am glad we went to visit as it's nice to see. It was quite difficult to keep the kids engaged the entire way around. They enjoyed the small selection of rides they have.
Worth a visit but in need of modernisation.

If you want to visit every famous building in Europe then you can visit this very special park and you can visit Eiffel Tower and Pisa Tower in one day. There is a lot of stuff to look at and you can take photos with the small versions of famous buildings. If you are thirsty or if you are hungry, you can order some drink or food in the bistro.

We had an unforgettable day at Miniature Italia in Rimini! This place is a true gem, offering a captivating journey through Italy and around the world through intricate miniature monuments.
From the Leaning Tower of Pisa to the magnificent Taj Mahal, we explored iconic landmarks in incredible detail. It was like a global adventure all in one place.
The craftsmanship is outstanding, and whether you're an adult fascinated by architecture or a kid with a sense of wonder, Miniature Italia is a must-visit. It's an educational and awe-inspiring experience for all ages.
If you're in Rimini, don't miss this opportunity to travel the world in miniature. It's an adventure worth every moment!

Great little park to visit with your kids. Buy the tickets online at least 1 day early, it's much cheaper. They have some fun attractions and the miniatures are very lovely.

The park is really nice. Kids will love it there. Lots of trains. At the time of our visit they only had one restaurant open, quality good and prices reasonable. I was shocked by the toilets, which are Turkish toilets.

Nice thematic park, for adults and children. The miniatures are well preserved (they don't look 30+ years old!) and some of them have also animations. There are also a few attractions like the train going above the park, the water trunks, the Pinocchio's attraction, and a few others.
The attractions are mainly thought for children and the place makes learning a fun activity. So it is a very nice place also for schools.
It is nice even for adults without childrens, even though these are a minority.
The park is relatively small and can be seen in 2 hours with a fast speed and no queues, or it can take up to 4 if you want to do everything slowly. But in general it is smaller than other thematic parks and with less attractions. Even though, it deserves the 5 stars because it is original, educational, and it does not have excessive waiting times.

Beautiful park, small, you can spend long time watching the mini monuments more famous from Italy. They have different rides, some of them are open as soon as the park opens and others later. The train around the park it’s very nice, we really enjoyed and the castle with water guns it’s very fresh and fun. During the weekdays is not crowded.

If you have kids, you must come here. Such an amazing place. I loved the miniatures, the kids loved the rides which were included in the price 24 eur per person above 140cm. The log ride was the best. Granite 4 eur, coffee 2 eur, lots of food everywhere. I was surprised we almost did not have to wait anywhere. Parking for a campervan 5eur per day, 3 eur per car right next to it. Mc Donalds 10m from the entrance. Come here, you will not regret it.
