The ship is located along a scenic path leading towards the harbor, with summer being the best time to visit despite the windy weather. A lovely experience. I gave a good idea of how life might have been on board 150 years ago. Good story telling. The vastness of the ship was breathing taking. Really enjoyed and we went back one more time just to make sure we did not miss anything! ❤️

Great experience with lots of histories and things to do with kids. Ours loved it. We spend several hours there.

Well worth admission fee. We only had a few hours to spend here before we had a flight to catch. It’s defiantly a full day visit to see it all.
drybs84 — Google review
Wonderful to see the restored ship, walk through and hear stories of the men who know about history.
Frank W. W. Dr. — Google review
Fregatten Jylland is located just smack on the beachfront of Ebeltoft. As a museum it offers a great insight into the design and layout of a classic fighting vessel of its era. The museum also offers a great narration of how the life was aboard and they do a great job at entertaining a younger audience with various challenges in and around the ship.
The entirety of the old ship is fully accessible to be explored, just watch your head, my 193cm of height would have made me a giant in their time and also watch how you use the steps and ladders, there were different safety standards in their time.
No exterior or interior photos from me unfortunately, just a few muesum shots.
Odd J Jorgensen — Google review
Beautiful very nicely restored 19th c. Danish warship with great exhibition. There is small museum with a shop at the entrance. The ship's 4 levels are all accessible and you can freely explore on your own. Audio guide is a must as there are almost no explanatory texts on board. Audio guide is freely accesible via QR code in the museum.
Adam — Google review
Beautiful old ship. The museum building next to the ship is nice but not that much exciting to see. The ship itself is more exciting - really nice to be able to go around the whole ship and explore. A really good visit for 1-2-3h.
Joakim Ölund — Google review
I wasn't sure what to expect. But it's a very nice museum, a lot of consideration of details has flown into the setup and the exhibition.
For example there are animated portraits of sailers who tell their stories (based on their dairies and letters).
There is a lot of entertainment for kids too. They get to wear sailor hats and can participate in different activities.
Also when do you get the chance to go on board of a freaking Fregatt...
Anjo — Google review
Huge sail ship ... Check
More than 40 canons ... Check
Live firing of a canon ... Harrrr
Trying your skills as shipbuilder ... You got me!
If you are in the area make sure to go and spend at least half a day. Live firing happens twice a day, at noon and 3 pm. In between the kids can do a treasure hunt abord the the ship, build small boats, or experience the craftsmanship required to build a boat.
Marco Nordmann — Google review
Great restoration of an iconic war ship. Would recomend along with the Glass Museum next door.
Trevor Nokes — Google review
This is a fantastic attraction with a lot of history.
For old and young this is a good place to spend some hours if you’re in Ebeltoft.
During these times it is also safe to walk on the ship 🚢 as everything is one way streets.
There are a lot of good stories from the past to be told here.
Ulrik Jørgensen — Google review
The ship itself is impressively preserved, with many of the original fixtures and fittings still in place. From the cramped sailors' quarters to the imposing gun decks, every part offers a glimpse into life aboard a naval vessel of the era. The onboard exhibits and information boards are also well-done and provide a wealth of information about the ship's history and significance.
Knuthenborg Safaripark is a popular drive-thru park in Denmark that features a diverse range of animals from around the world. The park is divided into 11 zones and also includes adventure and water play areas. Visitors can interact with friendly horses and goats as well as encounter more exotic creatures like monkeys, zebras, giraffes, and tigers. The tiger area has been recently upgraded to provide an even better experience for visitors.
Amazing experience!! Must try it, lors of atrractions, and things to do. We spent about 5hours inside the safari park, and we are usually very fast at places like this.
I do recommend to bring your own food for picnic, as for the food inside is only fast food.

This is amazing Safari Park, good for kids, adults and elderly alike. You can save money to buy tickets online in advance. Dinosaurs 🦕 🦖 park is the best. You would be lucky to spot the 🦁 and 🐅 if you wait and have patience

We spent 2 nights in the cabin-tents with a big veranda overlooking the savanna with giraffes. It was magical. Once the park closed for visitors and cars, we just sat for hours watching the animals roaming around freely. They were fed outside the huts, so we got to see them really close. We ordered both a breakfast and lunch box, and there arrived plenty of food of good quality. Before dinnertime, some really entertaining guides arrives outside the huts to answer question and tell the lodgers about the animals. We fell asleep with the sounds of nature, we heard the wolves howling, monkies shrieking and the pheasants clucking. Bring a sweater and some warm socks, the tents get quite cold at night. The duvets are warm and there are plenty of blankets.
The fossiled dinosaurs in the Evolution Museum was a great surprise. Later the same day we visited the dinosaur park, where there are animated dinos with sound, in the dusk, it was really well made and very realistic and really tied the whole experience. Very highly recommended to stay a couple of nights and really get to experience everything in peace, get to watch the animals live. We also got to pet ponies, goats and lamas. I dislike zoos and always feel bad for the animals, but in this park, they clearly have a lot of passion for the animals, and let them live with a lot of space and love.

Super nice place! Fun for the family and you can easily spend the whole day there. But important notice - during week day only Mombasa restaurant is open! The other one (Flinthuset) works only in weekends. You can also bring your own food&drinks. Totally recommend!

Knuthenborg Safari Park is unique because of its wonderful location! We have been here several times before, when our children were small. This time we stayed overnight, in a tent by the elephant enclosure. It is indescribable to sit on the veranda in the morning and see the elephants grazing in the morning mist. The tent is very comfortable, equipped with a shower and Weber electric grill, and we slept fantastically well. It is a great experience to walk through the park almost alone in the evening. All in all, a great experience and a lot of fun!
Mario L. (MIEL) — Google review
We go every year with our children and it is a nice place to spend a day. Nothing has changed since the first time we visited (6y ago) but still you can kill a day with family.
Same animals, same shop, same food same same same.
The Tigers and Lions are never there.
It's kinda losing its charm.
A bit pricey lately 😕

It was so much more than I expected!
I went with my kids 2 and 4 and they had so much fun. The Park is very well planned, we started our tour at 11am and finished at around 4.45pm. We didn't see all the enclosures but it was so worth it! Kids are especially invigorated by the animals that they can pet and the Dinosaur exhibition is quite remarkable.
We brought some snacks from home that we snacked on while on the drive through the park and finished at the Limpopo-land food court where we had some Burgers and Fries from the Mombasa Restaurant. The food was really good! The Burger and fries as simple and very delicious and reasonably priced. You can eat at the food court/terrace but it was quite windy when we went and we chose to have our meal in the car and it was no less delicious for that fact.
100% recommend! Bring some snacks, a camera and good walking shoes and ready to have fun.

Just wow! I never expected such a SAFARI in Denmark. You can drive around the grassland to see and touch(some of animals) animals with your own car and well made Dino robots in a life scale are bringing you to Jurassic period. The area is bit too small compare to the safari area but still very nice. There are also many spots where you can enjoy picnic. Bring your own food and drinks to enjoy the safari more and longer. Must go spot with your kids!
rainypraha — Google review
Knuthenborg has always been the place to go for our summer vacation in Denmark, and it never fails to entertain. Even now, when I'm 22 years old, i still tell my mom to drive to the horses or goats, so i can pet them. That's, of course, the most important part of the trip. Of course you also got more exotic animals, like monkeys, zebras, giraffes and of course the tigers, which area has gotten a significant upgrade.
All in all, a wonderful place, where the animals look like they're treated well. I don't think there will ever be a day, where i won't recommend Knuthenborg Park.
Mark Svensson — Google review
Less than what I expected! The map you receive is useless, signals on the road are not clear at all! It was interesting to see Big Joe and the Dino’s garden! A day with no kids would be ideal, too much noise!
Bar Dado — Google review
We spent the whole day in this park and it was simply amazing. It's perfect for kids, especially since you can get out of the car in several areas. You've got everything there from huge giraffes to tiny monkeys :} The playground is a huge bonus as well and we also very much liked the dinosaur area. 7 hours went by so quickly.
Frederiksborg Castle is an impressive 17th-century fortress-palace situated on the banks of Slotso lake in Hillerod, Denmark. The palace boasts stunning Dutch Renaissance architecture and features Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque elements. It now houses a museum of Danish and royal history showcasing over 80 rooms filled with beautiful furniture, tapestries, historical paintings and art pieces. The central courtyards are accessible for free along with the beautifully manicured baroque gardens.
A little bit off the beaten path, but easy to get to by train, especially with the Copenhagen Card. There’s a nice walk through the park to get there from the train station, and a gorgeous lake and gardens, too. The castle itself is impressive! Definitely worth the trip, especially if you have the city card.

Spectacular castle experience. The audio tour was informative and not too long. Bags are not allowed inside, but they have lockers available. The building is cold and quite dark, so keep your coat on. Staff was friendly. Organ concert was at 13:30 and quite cool to see. We spent 3.5 hours there. We recommend that you get there right at opening, because you can definitely use all 4 hours they were open. (Limited hours in January). Take a spare battery to be sure your phone stays charged for photos and audio tour. Keep your coat on, because the castle is relatively cold. The museum offered flashlights which came in handy. The castle store was pretty good. After we were kicked out at closing time, we enjoyed walking down the town’s walking street and getting something to eat, on our way back to the train station.

So many rooms to walk through, so many paintings and decorations and everything is in very good shape. The chapel is top notch and the original Carl Bloch paintings hangs in one room. They are stunning! The castle garden is also well worth a visit.

Definitely worth the visit. It’s such a stunning castle with so many rooms and paintings. Has so many history for many centuries.
You can take the train line A from Copenhagen central station for 38 minutes with around 10€ and you will then walk around 17 minutes to reach the castle. The scenery from the lake is breathtaking.
I definitely recommend visiting it as it’s a must see while you are visiting the Denmark.

Gorgeous Renaissance castle located in Hillerød, a city just outside of Copenhagen. Very easy to get there with train.
You can visit the castle inside but outside with its gardens is imperdible.

One of the best castles in the area. Excellent art and history. Worth the trip!!! Well preserved historical site with beautiful grounds to explore too. I used the Copenhagen Card to enter, a worthwhile investment.

The Castle is very impressive and the exhibition about the Danish royals is great too. It rained, so we didn't explore the garden but I really liked the 3rd floor with more modern art.

This was the best castle we visiting out of all the castles in Copenhagen - it is beautiful and well maintained - and the gardens were lovely! We are so glad we chose to do a day trip here. Very pleasant. Make sure you check out the cafe on the grounds for lunch, it was delicious.

Nice castle in small town 40 minutes from Copenhagen.
A little bit expensive, but I guess a lot goes into maintaining the castle and the gardens.
The gardens are free, so that’s great.
The castle itself has a lot of paintings and beautiful woodwork.
Recommend if you have a free slot in your time here in Denmark.
Victor Correra — Google review
Beautiful castle with a wonderful mix of both modern art, photography, sculptures and historical paintings. They got a few activities for kids - and an audio guide to the museum. I really recommend it and would suggest that you spend at least two hours there.

Amazing castle! Full of stuff to see inside and outside. The rooms are filled with historical furniture, paintings, etc. I personally loved the church. I think the entrance is about 75 dkk so great price!
You can still go around the castle in the beautiful gardens and around the lake for free though. Plus, I love the square with the restaurants; always end up there after our stroll!

For sure 5 star!
The castle itself is glorious. But the garden..it is just fantastic. There are a lot to see there. We spent about 3.5 hours there and still, we were not tired of it. Will definitely go back to this place

What an extravagant castle. There are countless small details to note while walking through here. The chapel was gorgeous I could spend hours just looking at it. There’s also a nice ferry ride behind the castle that you can take.
SiQing Xu — Google review
This is a really opulent castle and it was very beautiful to walk around. The building and its decorations were very intricate. But the museum plaques will only teach you about the portraits on the walls, and most rooms are empty except for the paintings.

Absolutely worth the visit. Can take the blue line, included in the large metro ticket. Lovely setting, fascinating architecture. The great room and chapel really stand out for their grandeur. The original Carl Bloch paintings were moving and the amount of history contained in the castle delightful. The grounds were lovely to walk. Situated close to shops and restaurants to make a whole day of it

Highly recommend visiting the castle, it’s a short trip from Copenhagen. Ticket prices are very reasonable for what the landmark has to offer, and it’s a beautiful, interesting place. I’ve especially enjoyed the sensory rooms because I found them quite unique, I’ve never experienced such an addition in historical spots like this one. Staff was super friendly as well. Great experience overall!

An amazing castle that takes you to the past. Preserved in an excellent way, combining Danish History and culture, great facilities in all aspects...
Tony Papanicolaou — Google review
The place is amazing, magnificent, with a nice, peaceful walk around the castle and the gardens. But there is a bug negative for us. Even though they have an audio guide and an app, there is so little history told in these guides. All they talk about are various personalities from Denmark and their paintings, whereas they should talk more about the great history of Denmark and of the castle. The rooms are a bit empty, filled with paintings mostly. Feels a bit like gallery.
Jaroslav Mida — Google review
We came to see the original Carl Bloch paintings of the life of Jesus Christ, in the King’s Chapel. They are beautiful. The Castle is amazing. The Great Hall is covered with beautiful tapestries.

It is advisable to familiarize yourself with its history beforehand and engage with the knowledgeable guides available on-site. The guiders are known for their patience and willingness to provide detailed information upon inquiry. I would like to say, this castle is one of the beautiful castles in the world, Situated on 3 Islands and surrounded by a lake and beautiful gardens, it's simply spectacular and breathtaking. Unlike other other famous great castles I have visited in Europe, we were able to get as close as to the display, artworks, furniture etc...free to roam and explore at our own pleasure. This castle is absolutely worth a visit or must visit while in Copenhagen, it's really something!
Tivoli Gardens is a charming amusement park located in Copenhagen, Denmark that is popular with tourists from all over the world. There are also outdoor jazz, classical and contemporary music performances as well as illuminated by soothing fairytale lights.
This place is amazing. You can see how it inspired Walt Disney. You can walk around to enjoy the fine food and gardens without riding a ride. The food is high quality, not fast food. The shops are as nice as the ones found in town. As for the rides, the views from the tall swings are amazing. The ride on the old rollercoaster is fun and quite historic.
The park changes clothes at night :-)

Nice amusement park. Not very big but right in the city centre. Beautiful decorations for Halloween and lovely restaurants. Some restaurants are very expensive. They have menus outside so no nasty surprises.
A few good rides. Some are very scary. We went in November in the afternoon. The queues for the rides took about 20min. The weather was a bit cold. They have some shops too. Our friends found something to buy there. If you like the rides, you can easily spend all day in the park.

I bought the entrance fee that did not include the rides... I was very happy just to walk around and view the gardens. I must say, that this was the most beautiful and green amusement park I have ever seen And it was a real trip to be able to walk under the roller coaster. (I had never seen that before.)
Also plenty of eating places and shopping areas.

I just paid for entry as I'm not a fan of rides. But the place was lovely lots bigger than I expected, it had a lovely atmosphere. I would recommend to visit at around 6pm in the summer have a wonder in the daylight maybe grab something to eat and then you will see it in the dark too. It was the night which made the place even more stunning

Such an amazing place. The gardens themselves are beautiful. The rides are great and they have such a variety. There are quite a few rides for young kids around 3 years old. There’s so much to do and the space is so well utilized that you don’t feel like you’re walking for miles on end. This is a must visit place in Copenhagen.

The park is super beautiful, the haunted houses were super fun to go to and just the whole vibe of the place was amazing. The Halloween decorations were also super fun. The only downside is the price of entrance and for the rides, which was quite high in my opinion. Even though the prices were high I can't wait to go again for the Christmas theme.

I think if not the best, one of the top parks in Europe. Great restaurants, coffee bars, theaters, garden, entertainment park in such a great combination. Especially if you visiting when it's ready for Christmas. So many activities and entertainment you will definitely enjoy! Must see for sure.

Stunning place. Relaxing and just a great place to visit. An oasis in the city centre.

Had an amazing evening here! We bought the compete package (entry and unlimited rides and photos) and definitely made our money's worth in rides. Lots of options, from super kid friendly to super scary (the Demon). So many food options, but gasoline grill gets special mention for their huge fries portion. If you are there on Saturday stay for the light show and the fireworks. If you have time while in Copenhagen this will be a fun night out.

A unique place. Rides, an aquarium, gardens, restaurants and bars
Very easy going and family friendly atmosphere. Queues were short and the ride pass works so well.
It seems small but has an incredible amount in one location. Lovely to see old people falling asleep in deck chairs on a sunny afternoon while kids are having fun on rides.

As it is one of the oldest theme park, it is worth to visit. For anyone who love taking photos, I recommended to go before evening time. Then u can enjoy both day and night vibe. Not so big one.

Fridays suck as they have concerts and it's going to be packed....aim for a cloudy weekday...some days you will wait ages in lines, we where lucky and had 10 min wait for rides....lots of people come here to see the flowers and lights for which there is no line.
Sunny weekends are going to be packed.
Danish weather is temperamental, bring plastic ponchos and hope for the best, wind does not get bad here

If you are a tourist and you love history and art, this is the place for you to visit. The fun rides may be a little out of date, but keep in mind they were from 100 years ago. Everything was so beautiful and artistically arranged. There were plenty of restaurants and coffee shops and chocolates. The Garden was not only for the kids but also the adults of all ages. We were glad that we saved the place last during our stay at Copenhagen.

Very nice place. Finely decorated for Halloween. I expect they'll do a great job for Christmas as well. I think this place is a bit overrated, though. Don't get me wrong, it's very nice and there are few fun rides. But I would go here only if I stayed for a few days in Copenhagen. Don't sacrifice other beautiful spots in the city to go here instead. But as a last day thing to do and especially if you're there with friends, it's a fun place where to spend a few hours

Went in November knowing little about the place. Had an incredible time in the massive winter wonderland with shops and stalls ans even fairground rides! Definitely recommend going in winter.
Ride pass is around €30 on top of €18 entrance fee but you can enter without a ride pass and pay for rides individually or not at all. Worth the price though

We were there at Christmas with family. It was so beautifully decorated, there were rides for all ages, delicious food. I recommend, for Christmas, to see how many rides planning to go on before buying the unlimited band.
Jill Curry — Google review
Underwhelming. Paid 160dkk (£18) to enter. The rides were fairly interesting to look at as they’re prettier than what you get at a typical British fairground but didn’t seem particularly thrilling inducing so didn’t give any a go. Would probably be worth it if you have young children who would enjoy the smaller rides however.
Maxim Cooper — Google review
Lovely little theme park that's perfect for the kids. There is not much to walk, the rides are designed mostly for kids with only a couple that are on the extreme side and there is plenty of food and drink choices in such a small place. What was also great is that the entrance cost is cheaper if you don't want to go on the rides, making it possible to go in to experience the historic architecture of one of the oldest theme parks in the world. You're also able to come and go from the park on the day you go, just remember to get your hand stamped before leaving.

Amazing. If you’re in Copenhagen you have to go, no question. I have visited both during summer and to see the Christmas markets, both were great with the Christmas lights really taking the cake for me, I felt like I was in a movie. Rides are also great, but just seeing the lights and market stalls are also plenty to do. So many great food options inside for both food and desserts, so definitely come hungry.

Great place to visit with friends, family or your loved ones. Decorated with astonishing lights. You will only fully enjoy them when is dark. I saw fountain show accompanied by classic music. That was fantastic experience.
Rides look different from each other, very unique, but I didn't go on them. You have to pay extra to use them.

It’s amazing how many attractions can be squeezed into one city block. Great for kids, teens and those still young at heart. Food price and choices range from stalls and food market outlets to the brasserie at the Hotel Nimb.

It's a wonderful, almost magical place. You can feel like you're in a fairy tale there. We visited on December 30th, and despite the large number of people, the vastness of the park made it feel uncrowded. In the evening, it has an even more enchanting charm. It's important to mention that using the Copenhagen Card, you can enter the park twice in one day by obtaining a special stamp. However, for some attractions, tickets are not always available at the machines - you need to purchase a package. For those who prefer not to buy packages, using the app might be somewhat inconvenient. My only suggestion - improve and maintain your app.
Karolina Gołębiewska — Google review
Absolutely fantastic. I visited in December 2023 with family, including two kids in prams. Spent the whole day there, and you can leave with the kids of you need to and re-enter (make sure you get that days stamp on your hand!)
Highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance to skip the queues, and if you get the ticket that includes free digital images, download the app and set that up ahead of time! We made that mistake and missed out on images. Don't forget to take your one free go at the wheel - it's the huge one beside Aquila I think!
I rode everything I could, and had a great time. My faves are the demon and star flyer I think! I also recommend bringing scarves and gloves if you're riding the taller rides in the winter!!
I think it's superb that it's a themes seasonal attraction and I'd love to visit again in spring.

Such an amazing place. We loved it and we had a lot of fun there. The gardens are very well taken care of and the games are suitable for all ages. They present some shows and plays as well. Inside, you will have everything you may need, restaurants, toilets…etc. and of course, they have Lego shop :). It’s a bit expensive, but it’s not for Denmark and for all what they offer. Highly recommended, especially with kids.
You can go out and go back again, but you need kind of permission.

Visited around December time and it was a wonderful wonderland! There were so many stalls of food and gifts inside creating a lovely Christmas atmosphere. We didn’t even go on any rides and still managed to spend 2 hours here just exploring the beautiful grounds! Definitely a highlight of what Copenhagen has to offer.

Tivoli Gardens is a must do day out for families when visiting Copenhagen. The theme park is one of the oldest in the World and is famous for inspiring the original US Disneyland.
.
The gardens are located directly opposite Copenhagen central station and its location and presence in the city is very unique for a capital.
.
Using the Copenhagen Card we were able to gain access to the gardens as part of the cards attractions ticket meaning that the only additional charge was the ride pass, which gives you access to all the rides all day long, for as many times as you wish. Please note, if you only want to go on 1 or 2 rides you can just pay as go but 3+ makes buying a ride pass worth it.
.
My kids loved the rocket and wooden rollercoaster and went on both 4 times each + most of the other rides with only a few exceptions.
.
The gardens are a spectacular attraction in themselves and it was very enjoyable taking in the different settings and venues dotted around the rides.
.
There are plenty of places to eat and drink and all are of a high standard and are reasonably priced. If you wish, you can leave and return to the park so long as you get a stamp. However, tickets and passes are only valid for 1 day.
.
As mentioned at the start of this review Tivoli is a must visit attraction in Copenhagen even if you don't like rides as the site is full of history and character.

Great place. Have fun. Must visit if you are in Copenhagen. Tivoli Gardens is not just an amusement park, but an absolutely great place to have fun and enjoy drinks and food. The rides here are amazing and then you have surprising events all the time. One of the best places to visit in Copenhagen.
The Round Tower is an observatory that is over 300 years old and it is one of the oldest working observatories in Europe. The tower hosts novice astronomers as well as sightseers who come to learn about the history of astronomy and see how it has been used in different ways throughout the centuries.
For a taste of science history and a beautiful view of Copenhagen this tower is a must see. I saw all ages walking the spiral ramp up to the observation deck, and there’s a beautiful gallery to visit on the way up. The only difficult part is the extremely narrow spiral staircase at the top, but it’s not very long and it is controlled with traffic lights for direction. This is a simple tour with a ton of history.
Ben Harapiak — Google review
One place which can guarantee you the best view of Copenhagen. The Tower itself is an architectural Marvel. There is an Entry Ticket 🎫 to the Tower. After the ticket, a spiral 🌀 pathway leads the visitor atop the tower. The deck gives a 360 degree view of Copenhagen. Photography enthusiasts can also smother off their love for capturing Copenhagen the artistic way from this Deck.
Recommended for all those aspiring seeing Copenhagen, Denmark 🇩🇰

The Rundetårn is surely one of the most affordable monuments to visit in Copenhagen, since the ticket is around 6 euros. On the top of the tower you can enjoy a beautiful view on the city centre from a different perspective, with all its beautiful rooftops; furthermore, inside the tower there are rooms that can be visited, related to its history and Tycho Brahe

The Round Tower in Copenhagen is a must-visit architectural marvel that beautifully blends history and breathtaking views. Ascend for panoramic city vistas, explore its intriguing exhibits, and appreciate its rich historical significance. Engaging art exhibitions and accessible design enhance the overall experience. Unforgettable moments await at the Round Tower.
Jatin Gupta — Google review
Absolutely loved the round tower, I'm not a big fan of narrow spiral staircases so normally give these types of buildings a miss. However, the round tower consists of a wide spiral ramp most of the way, then about 28 wooden steps and a short final set of 31 spiral stairs that you go on a traffic light system. Views from the top all round are amazing, theres an observatory at the top and a kiosk. On the way up the tower there's 2 rooms the bell loft and the library hall which hosts changing exhibits and has a small gift shop. The tower has a hollow core and near the top there's a small opening where you can go in and stand on the glass floor above it. A planetarium is on a wall before the wooden steps.

To be honest, I’ve been on other view points in other cities and this one has one big problem and that’s protection bars. Because of them you can’t make any photo or video. The view towards the city is nice and full. Price of the ticket is around 5€ and it’s not problem to climb up since it doesn’t have much stairs. It wasn’t overcrowded.
Nastja Prodanic — Google review
A cheap experience in Copenhagen that is worth doing. The Round Tower is a very cheap and inexpensive way to see beautiful sights of the city from above. The tower itself is designed in very unique way which has no stairs, only sloped floors. Once you climb to the top of the tower, you can view the city with 360 degree views. Even inside this tower, I was surprised to find toilets and other pieces of historical information about the tower. For how cheap it is to climb this tower, I highly recommend! 😸
Alex Crisp — Google review
This was a nice surprise. The view from the top is amazing. Make sure not to miss the observatory room when you reach the top. Along the way you can see the church, and the library room which is now used for exhibitions. And of course take a photo in the tower privy just for the laughs, but don't confuse it for the proper toilette next door. 😃
Bruno Henriques — Google review
A great way to have a fabulous view of the city and beyond. Yes it's a good climb to the top but it's a bricked ramp so it's quite easy. Toilets available. Good information panels. Two nice display rooms. Part of the city tourist card so easy access.
Barbara Hinsley — Google review
Definitely worth the visit! In the heart of the city, there was no line to get in,40 DKk for adults and 10 for kids. It is a round climb and in every floor there is something to see so it makes it an interesting way. We visited the kimono exhibition-wow! An hour visit, definitely good way to spend time.
Dana Bashi — Google review
This place was really neat. The construction of it is wild and the little windows into the floor placed randomly so you can see into certain parts is really cool. The whole red light/green light system to get to the top was a little frustrating because some people just didn't care or didn't understand. Definitely worth checking out and the view from the top is worth it.
Brady Reed — Google review
This was a fun visit! Totally new way to scale a tower, with a completely smooth spiral incline all the way up. There was a HUGE tour group who got in just before us so there was a wait at the top to scale the remaining stairs to reach the viewing level. Having 360° views of Copenhagen was awesome. It is a pretty flat city so a great way to see it from above. The observatory was a lovely addition to see too.
Finailla Hackwood — Google review
The view from the top is great, and the side areas to visit on the walk up and down were very interesting. History and architecture and a view, all in one. The price was reasonable. There is no elevator or escalator. It is a winding ramp walk up and down. There are narrow stairs that may be harder to navigate to enter the top for the view.
A Clarified Woman — Google review
What a gorgeous little experience! The tower is mostly what you'd expect, it's round and a bit of a walk going up. Make sure to look out the windows for some very quaint and picturesque views of Copenhagen's streets and rooftops. The tower also contained an exhibit on wolf conservation which was really fascinating and eye opening. This is a great little quick stop while visiting!
Brianne Nelson — Google review
This experience is totally unique and unlike anywhere I've ever been too previously. The tower spirals gradually to a viewing platform where you are rewarded with panoramic views of Copenhagen city centre and beyond.
It's a short experience (roughly 1 hour), however it's really worth a visit and easily combined with other attractions.
Greg “Wigan Wanderers” Knight — Google review
This place was an absolute delight and excellent value for money. Great view at the top and the walk up along the spiral walkway is a lot of fun. There are info cards along the way that explain points of interest. There are also very clean lavatories that are easily accessible. Think this is now my favorite tourist attraction in Copenhagen.
Katy Unwin — Google review
This was a really neat visit! The entry fee was very reasonable, there were a couple spots to stop along the ramp to see an art installation and some historical artifacts, but the obvious highlight is climbing all the way for the top for a beautiful view. There were bathrooms available, which were clean and very appreciated.
Kailey Parks — Google review
I loved walking up the Round tower. Not for those who struggle with walking up steep slopes as the journey up the tower is as much part of the visit as the views from the top. Ticket was 40dkk (about £4.50) and on a nice day I would say it's worth it. Not overly busy at 11am on a Monday but I can imagine it gets busier.
James — Google review
Pass by the tourist site while roaming around the city, resulting in walking up the tower. It was a worthy walk, circling the tower to get up, wasn't so crowded while getting up. A red/ green light was there to advise if it's okay to get up or down the final narrow stairway connecting to the viewpoint.
Fun experience

Well worth the cost and any wait that you may have. Not only are the views from the top worth it, but the walk up is just as cool. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a good view of the whole city.

Old observatory now act as a museum and viewpoint.
The inside is slope up to almost the top. And short steep stair at the end.
This is not include in Copen card. However, the price is cheap and worth it.
Nice stop but it is not the must.

Great views of the city. Doesn’t take a lot of time. It was a good filler activity between other longer tours. I used the Copenhagen Card to enter, a worthwhile investment if you plan on visiting several sites.

Fascinating building with its spiral ramp leading to an excellent viewing area high above the city, and close to a popular shopping street with plenty of places to eat. Well worth a quick visit.
Chris Boardman — Google review
Would recommend paying to enter as we found the history of the tower and the information interesting. There are large bars at the top that hinder the view a bit but still enjoyable.
You can see the telescope in the observatory but cannot enter to read all of the information in there which we found disappointing.

Fun experience in the round tower.
The tower is quite high so prepare to walk for a bit inside the round tower until reaching the top.
Fantastic view from the above to see the whole Copenhagen. Great views and it may be even better when visiting it during sunset times.
It also has a cafe and some spot during the walk to introduce the old building and they are quite informative as well.

We arrived at 10 am and were greeted by a large queue, but it quickly dissipated, and we passed through smoothly. You can bring a pram all the way up; although there are stairs on the top floor, it's safe to leave it there. The view from the top is magnificent and kid-friendly. Admission is 40 DKK per person and 10 DKK for children.

It's an interesting tower with almost no steps. Great view from the top. Yes the queue, it moves fast and it's worth it. The price of the entrance ticket is great too.

Lovely view of Copenhagen from above !!!
There is an entrance fee. The tower itself is not very tall but since most buildings in Copenhagen are relatively shorter, it feels like you're on a skyscraper !!!
The tower was originally built as an astronomy viewing platform. It is still occasionally used by hobbyists.
Access to the viewing deck is not possible for people with limited mobility unfortunately. The tower itself is a big slope, but there are are some very narrow twisting steps at the end.
There is an attached gallery/gift shop that is easy to miss. It will be on your left when climbing the tower.
⚠️ DO NOT miss the Cathedral that is attached to the tower. It is very pretty 🌟 and worth a visit. Entrance to the church is obviously free.
The Rosenborg Castle is a palace located in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is noted for its art treasures and for the Crown Jewels - the largest collection of jewels in the world. The castle also houses the Royal Museum, which houses objects collected by Danish royalty.
Breathtakingly beautiful castle with a huge and rich collection of antiques and valuable items. The garden of the castle is some of the most picturesque gardens in Copenhagen, especially during the summer season. The staff is super kind and friendly. Very impressive exhibition of artwork, the Crown Jewels, etc. The rooms are renovating nicely and you are able to follow the diversity of furniture during the different periods.

A small and cute castle with an awesome garden and great outside design. I didn't have time to enter the inside, but did a good round walk that I enjoyed. Definitely worth the visit. If you're not going to enter, you can see it good enough from the gardens - the two aren't connected directly probably for security reasons.

What a beautiful place to visit. Even though I didn't go inside, I loved seeing the castle from the outside. The gardens are amazing, and the castle itself looks really impressive. It's a great spot to take pictures and enjoy the atmosphere of Copenhagen. Easily accessible by public transport.

The castle tour is very interesting with lots of art and furnishings to see. The castle does not have good ventilation so go when it's cooler outside. We were there on a very warm day. The surrounding gardens are gorgeous to see.

This old castle is interesting, and of course, the crown jewels in the basement are the big draw. Most of the artifacts are hard to see. Almost everything seemed dusty and neglected. Many of the items are priceless, so it seems sad to let them sit so clearly uncared for.
I recommend going with a good guide or guidebook, to get a better sense of the history.

Built in Dutch Renaissance style during the 1600’s its small windows result in dimly lit interiors. Interior plasterwork is ornate and heavy, the main points of interest are the naval tapestries in the great hall on the top floor and the royal regalia and valuable gold and silver items displayed in the basement vaults.

We had a great time here. Very interesting, with the Danish crown treasure and a very well preserved castle. This one is a must see in Copenhagen. One ticket gets you in both the Treasury and the Castle. The castle is unique as most of it is original from the 1600’s. Very cool!

Small castle with some interesting rooms. My favourite is the mirrors room. The free map is very informative with good tidbits about each room. If you have to choose only one of the palaces/castles I would say this one is the one that offers the most for your buck. The gardens are also great for a picnic and a bit of rest. There was a bit of a wait to get in due to entrance times but this also means that you won’t be crowded inside. If you have a tight schedule I would suggest booking in advance.

One of the beautiful historical sites in Copenhegen. Booking for time slot online in advance is highly recommended. It's very well operated and very beautiful from floor to ceiling. There are two separate parts. First entrance to visit the Royal rooms in the castle, and then walking to Treasury which the Royal treasure is stored, including very gorgeous crowns. All staff are very friendly and helpful. So impressive!

Wow! This castle is amazing! The amount of furniture inside here in absolutely incredible! There are loads of rooms to visit here. From the gigantic hall at the top to the small, medieval bathroom at the end, this was just shocking. Definitely recommend coming here! 5 stars! Best castle I've ever been in!
Filip Szulc — Google review
A very good display of Kings/Queens belongings and utilities. One can find a lot of paintings in the castle in every room and also see how the painting skills have changed over decades. The numbered rooms and digital audio guide in the mobile were a good use of technology and easy to know the place. They also give a hard copy of the guide.
The castle tour is on multiple floors. Every item, decor, and interior is so grand that each random picture will look very rich. After coming out, be sure to go inside another entrance and check out the treasury in the basement. Excellent collection of jewelry, guns, wine barrels, ivory carvings, etc. The single entry ticket will get you to enter both castle and treasury.
After this, one can roam around in the huge gardens. We didn't find the entrance for this from the inside, so we just had to walk till the road and go in the garden from a different entrance. It is very pleasant and well maintained, so it's worth going in the garden.

Great Renaissance era castle. The exterior is super impressive and the grounds are meticulously maintained. To enter the castle it costs 130 Danish Krone - but it is well worth it! The castle has heaps of preserved memorabilia from the era, and the rooms are super interesting - including the “Throne Room”. Highly recommended if you are in Copenhagen.

We only viewed the castle from the King's Garden, across the moat. The architecture is quite lovely and reminiscent of fairytale castles. We didn't have time to go into the castle during our trip, but instead viewed its exterior facade - which is worth stopping to view. It's a lovely area to walk through though.

Absolutely beautiful! Much better than the more famous Amalienborg Palace museum, and well worth the trip. Keep an eye out for the trick chair that was used to make someone look as though they’d wet themselves and the communication holes from one end of the palace to the other!

The castle is small but beautiful. It was less busy than castles we've been to in the past which allowed you to take your time and admire the castle. If your ticket gives you access to the Treasury, that is really beautiful. Combined, the castle took us an hour and a half. That may be reduced if you don't stop to read the information they have displayed. We enjoyed our time there.

Although small on the outside, the castle houses a lot of interesting contents. Work your way through the castle and the history to learn about the different kings. The basement has an impressive selection of ivory and the crown jewels aren't to be missed. Easy to spend 1-1.5 hours here.

A beautiful castle from the outside, filled with decadent displays of royal wealth on the inside. It's good value for the price as each room has something fascinating to look at.

What a magnificent castle housing some impressive artifacts. It was busy so had to wait 50 mins for our slot, which was ok as it gave us the opportunity to explore the grounds and admire the castle from the outside.
Once inside, you circulate around each floor. tip, use the guide leaflet available free at the ticket office and is available in multiple languages.
You end your tour in the basemen, where the royal Crown Jewels are stored. Very impressive

This is an early 17th century castle that houses the Danish Crown Jewels. The ballroom/knight’s hall and glass cabinet on the top floor were particularly nice to see, as were the surrounding gardens, which are free. Well worth a visit, which I would recommend prioritizing if pressed for time.

This old palace houses a lot of old royal paintings and treasures. The crowns and jewelry are shown in the basement. However, you have to walk up three floors and one floor down to the basement to see all these. No lifts. Bathrooms are also outside the building. The garden is open to the public. It has a separate entrance. That means you cannot walk directly from the castle to the garden.

Plenty to see inside and a lovely park outside the castle to enjoy the fresh air.
The highlights are to be found in the basement of the castle where the Crown Jewels are held, alongside the royal wine, ivory and amber collections. Stunning!

Definitely worth the visit if you’re in Copenhagen, my highlight of my visit would be The Royal Treasury: The castle’s treasury house, a dazzling array of royal regalia. Diamonds, pearls, and gem-studded scepters gleam behind thick glass. These artifacts, once worn by monarchs, now rest in quiet splendor. Each piece tells a saga—a narrative of power, love, and ambition.

Interesting royal castle with rich tapestry and a myriad of items to observe, showcasing the splendour of the royal dynasty and their history. The building is mostly made of smaller rooms, but once you enter the throne room, the proportions are gigantic, and the perspectives are elongated. It's not a visit you can miss, and you'll spend a few hours marvelling around.

Copenhagen’s Nyhavn is a beautiful harbor lined with restaurants and bars. It was originally a working-class area filled mostly with sailors and fishermen, but Baroque Architecture still pops up in many of the buildings. The harbor is one of the most popular areas in the city and its a great place to start exploring Copenhagen!
This was a beautiful place with loads of tourists as well as loads of Christmas vibes were coming from that... As there was a Christmas market as well as there was harbour to have a boat ride... A must for Copenhagen! The place has an unique charm due to the colorful old houses. Some of them are about 400 years old and in several once H. C. Andersen has resided! The Little Mermaid statue is one of the most iconic and recognizable statues in Copenhagen, Denmark. The statue, created by Danish artist Edvard Eriksen, is of a character from H.C. Andersen's fairytale.
Went to see the mermaid because it is a must when visiting the city.
Some people say it is not worth visiting because of how small it is, and because it’s only a statue.
However, I think it is worth visiting, although the statue is just what you can see in the picture, the place where it is is very beautiful, you do need to walk 15-20 minutes, but with such gorgeous views it isn’t a problem.

The mermaid itself can get very busy with tourists, however there are plenty of angles to capture shots whilst avoiding photo bombers.

The most notable landmark of the city. It is situated in a nice park next to the sea so we had such a nice walk to reach it that day. I was not surprised by the size but quite the opposite I thought it was going to be super small while it is like human size. It was crowded but still easily approachable. I was also surprised that tourists can reach and touch the statue itself.
Predrag Maletic — Google review
I came here because 'you have to' and after traveling to multiple countries, I guess I'm used to see landmarks that are not spectacular per se. The story behind the mermaid was what initially attracted me. The statue is very simple and even discrete, at night there's not even a light to highlighted it. The area around is gorgeous and it makes the visit worth it.

I visited little mermaid in Copenhagen on 28.10.2022 and it really a refreshing relaxing and memorable experience. It is a very peaceful ambiance and park close to this place is a must to visit place. It is 10-15 mon walk from the nearest station. You will get very peaceful environment to stay there.. Highly Recommend Place to Visit in Denmark…

It's a nice walk up to the mermaid. The fountain before the mermaid is more stunning, just at the foot of the fortress. The mermaid is traditional to visit. But could be slightly disappointing.

Come early if you want a picture on your own, but this is on all the tours and near the hop on hop off bus stop. There are several statues and places to visit near here, including the Genetically modified Paradise and GM Little Mermaid. You could see the copy in the Reception of the Scandic Copenhagen hotel

It’s a very unique place and lot of tourists reach this place to see the beauty of this statue. More children are exited to visit. To have a visit we can take the public transport, can walk or can have a ride in a boat with all the information guides. I went by walking and I recommend to walk from the center so you can find everyplace while you reaching this destination. It was a small statue. Near you can find some ice cream tracks and some other food tracks also. If you have time can visit to this place or you can skip also while you planning your travels. There are some many people so if we need to take a picture with the mermaid we need to wait little longer. It’s free. No need of a ticket

To see the Little Mermaid is surely a must if one is in Copenhagen. We took a stroll down the Park to the seafront ,it was crowded with visitors taking her picture. Indeed she is really little, sitting there waiting to meet her Prince! Happy that i got to see her !

I found the statue to be quite charming and the area to be lovely for walking. The statue isn't huge, but the draw isn't the size but instead the story. Work with angles and camera zoom and some nice shots can be taken, too. I'd recommend a visit and also encourage others to explore the area around the statue.

Based on the 1837 fairy tale of the same name by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen, the small and unimposing statue is a Copenhagen icon and has been a major tourist attraction since its unveiling in 1913. In recent decades it has become a popular target for defacement by vandals and political activists.
Mermaid is among iconic statues that symbolize cities.
You can sit on bench and enjoy the view.

It's a beautiful statue based on H.C Andersen's fairy tale, The Little Mermaid.
There's more to see in the area then just the statue. I recommend walking around. You never know what is around in Denmark.

It's worth the visit, even with everyone else flocking there. But it's one of those things you have to see as it's the city's icon and should also be remembered to celebrate the works of Hans Christian Andersen.

Not much to look at, except a little statue sitting atop a rock, in some water. But I hear its a must visit landmark when in Copenhagen, so I guess it means a lot to a lot of people.
Expect large crowds at most times of the day, tons of people fighting for the perfect selfie spot for the memories. Not much else, I have to say. And, oh, mind the rocks when finding your selfie spot.
Wonder Mahembe — Google review
It is a lovely statue but oh my, so so many people taking pictures! I couldn't get close to it at all to see the Little Mermaid properly. The rocks are slippery when wet and I saw quite a few people slip. If you have time in the city, go a little later on or early, to avoid crowds.

It's a beautiful sculpture. Easy access by bike. There is no entry fee. it's free to visit. Even though the place was crowded, taking pictures was not so hard. This place is surrounded by water and has an amazing view. And it's very close from Marble Church.

An iconic and beautiful sculpture. Yes, the area is overloaded with tourists, but the walk out to the area is great, and goes through a large park. You can also walk through the old fort on the way. The statue will be appreciated the most by people who enjoy art.

A beautiful place.
Good for a walk on a sunny summer evening.
If there is a lack of signs on the many sculptures, Google will help you to tell the story.

Well worth the walk especially since the excellent Kastellet is right next to it. The mermaid is right by the shoreline, so easy to see and photograph. Fun, free, recommended.

Some say the statue is a disappointment due to being so small. I didn't fund it a disappointment at all and think it's a must-see in Copenhagen. Interesting history of the statue and nostalgic for anyone who grew up with Hans Christian Andersen’s original story.

Beautiful, elegiac, and poignant. Take a moment and soak in the surroundings - you won’t be disappointed. Statue is a mixture of sadness, freedom, and a sense of being trapped in motion. Brilliant.
Brennan Davis — Google review
Loved the view of people crawling around the little statue to take pictures. The mainly empty parking revealed that it was extremely quiet. I cannot imagine visiting the statue in high season. It must be chaotic.
The statue itself is lovely, but since the city is full of - in my opinion - more impressive statues, I would always choose to avoid it in high season.
The surroundings on the other hand is making strolling around definetely worth it. We sat down by the waterfront and watched boats, swans and blossoming trees.

A tourist attraction of Copenhagen. It's in a park and you can have a good view of the sea. There's a field of windmills on the opposite side. You can get a hot drink (e.g. coffee, tea, chocolate) from the coffee car that park next to the status.

Copenhagen landmark with an interesting history. We went early to avoid the worst of the crowds and combined the visit with a lovely walk around the area. There is a large park, an old fort and a long seafront to explore.
The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humlebaek, Denmark showcases an impressive collection of international contemporary and modern art dating back to 1945. The museum also features temporary exhibitions and is suitable for all ages. Visitors can bring their own food and drinks or dine at the cafeteria/restaurant. The facility is easily accessible with baby strollers and boasts creative spaces for children to play and create.
I love this place & have a membership! I have been there almost half a dozen times. Love the exhibitions, the painting & drawing area for kids (I have done it too), sitting in the garden outside or in the restaurant overlooking the sea, getting the sun, enjoying sumptuous meal with your loved ones! It’s a whole experience. Must visit if you are coming to Copenhagen. I live here but I love it so much I have a membership 🙂

I won't necessarily define it a "must-see", but if you've spent enough time in Copenhagen and you're running out of ideas for where to spend one afternoon, you should consider coming here. But only if weather is decent enough! You don't want to miss out on the sculpture garden, which also accounts for enriching your experience at the museum. It is simply way better if you can walk outdoors and enjoy admiring the sculptures and the surroundings when brightened by the sunlight. Speaking of the exhibitions, it's all about modern art, and a few creations really got my attention. I visited during the Peter Cook exhibit, which was really a "Wow!". Of course, even if you're not an art expert, you need to show up with the mindset to embody yourself in the artist and really try to understand the background behind certain masterpieces, otherwise your reaction to most of the exhibits is going to be like "What the heck is this?". You can easily spend 2-3 hours here if you're an average person like me (not really into art, but curious enough to learn something new), otherwise if art is your thing, consider taking the whole afternoon. Easily accessible by car, there's plenty of parking outside. Overall, an enjoyable experience for a fair price.

Nestled into a beautiful seaside beach with impressive landscape where architecture meets Nature.
Louisiana museum has the World class collection of Modern & Contemporary art, which draws visitors from all over the World. It is a fine museum worth visiting. Especially during Summer days.
The most memorable feature of this museum is the connection -between Inside and Outside- is carefully choreographed to maximize the sense of place and reduce the museum fatigue often occurs in a claustrophobic space in large museums.
The collection and exhibition -A. Giacometti, Modern paintings and well curated Temporary exhibitions are superb examples that make this institution impressive. Access from Copenhagen via simple train ride is clear and convenient. Two thumbs up!

My favorite museum!!! Went there several times during my stay in Copenhagen. After my first visit I loved it so much that I cancelled all my sightseeing in the following days and went to Louisiana. So many good things about this place. First and the most obvious one is the design of the whole place is stunning, including the architecture and interior design and that nice park behind the building. Everywhere is so pretty! You can also enjoy a nice sunset by the sea after your visit. Second is the exhibitions. I met my favorite exhibition by far, epic waste of love and understanding by Ragnar Kjartansson, every work of him is worth appreciated, I actually stayed in the room of “a lot of sorrow” for more than six hours to watch this six-hour-long video non-stop. I really grow on modern art here. Also, the opening hour there is very friendly, they are open until 10pm on weekdays. Love this place so much, really looking forward to going back!!!

The museum and its setting, sans the art, is an experience in itself - a beautiful small complex of interconnected buildings set upon a hill facing the sea (ok it’s probably a strait but it’s sea if you don’t look at the map). Make sure you descend down to the sea and touch it and smell it and sit upon the little pier. Perhaps even swim in it as we saw some brave locals do! Brave because the water was already cold at the end of September. But seriously bring a bathing suit in the summer!
I don’t love Giacometti, which the museum has a lot of, but did find other sculpture to love and admire there. This is largely a sculpture museum.
It is outside of (or on the edge of?) the city but very easy to get to and very worth it! In my opinion, this the most unique of Copenhagen’s museums.
My first time here I also had a great sandwich from the more casual cafe, but it appeared to be closed when I came at the end of September this time. There is a more formal sit down cafe that overlooks the sea also.

Louisiana is one of the best museums in Europe if not the world.
The whole experience you get from the moment you enter, to exhibitions and even the cafe are more than satisfying. You will see everything here from modern contemporary to classics to sculptures the museum has it all.
In order to get here from Copenhagen you must do it either by car or train. Train was very easy to get and takes around 45 minutes from Copenhagen to Luisiana.
Make sure to arrive early in the morning to avoid the queues, this place gets packed during the weekends. Allow anyway around 3-5 hrs to have a relaxed but full experience

Even though I'm not particularly interested in art museums, I was captivated by the beauty of this one. It's about an hour's train ride from downtown Copenhagen, but I think it's well worth the visit. The excellent layout, atmosphere, and the way artworks are integrated with the natural surroundings are very impressive. I highly recommend visiting it.

What a beautiful museum! I went there during my stay in Copenhagen and loved every moment I stayed there. The selection of artists and works is great and everything is so beautifully displayed in this amazing building where you can navigate between inside expositions and outside to either watch a piece of art, have a coffee or a snack or bask in the sun. I may dare to say, one of the most beautiful museums I’ve visited.

This museum blew my mind. All the exhibitions were incredible, well thought, beautiful and touching. I especially enjoyed Ragnar Kjartansson’s exhibition, it was absolutely brilliant. The museum itself has beautiful gardens, it’s in a forest on the beach so it has amazing views.

Wonderful experience, in beautiful grounds.
Obviously the art exhibits inside change regularly so the experience will always change.
We spent a whole Sunday here, arriving around lunchtime, finishing the day with a meal in the restaurant, which was delicious.
As a coeliac there were lots of gluten free options in the restaurant.
As an art lover, there was a good mix of the classic early 1900s and modern art through the visual of video and interactive art installations.
As a lover of scenery, you would be hard pushed to enjoy more beautiful grounds at any art gallery.

We spent here two hours since we were on a timetable, but we will reserve more time for our next visit. You can easily get there from Copenhagen by train. This museum is situated at a unique location facing the ocean. Ajoined by basement compartments, the 3 separated houses of the museum are bigger than what u see on the surface. Furthermore, the space for the outdoor sculpture garden was spacious with the ocean as the background. You have to give yourself a good 3 hours to view the exhibitions inside out. Really like the overall setting & currations. Definitely worth the 50min train ride from Copenhagen Central Station + a 15min walk to the Muse if u could spare your time for a visit🤩.

Absolute must-see on a calm weekend day ! The train ride from Copenhagen to the small town is quick and the museum is reached fast. There was no waiting line and a friendly staff welcoming us. The exhibitions were well curated and multifaced. Calm, interesting and interactive to a certain degree. The sculpture garden is worth a visit itself ! Many paths lead you around the buildings and there are many pieces to discover. When the weather is clear you can see sweden just on the other side of the water. The restaurant has a great choice of dishes, the shop is quite big and we were able to find a nice poster in a huge collection they offer. Extra plus point that they give you a protective cardboard roll for the purchase.
It was one of the best museum visits I had so far and would recommend everyone who is even just slightly interested in contemporary art :)

The contemporary artworks collection are insanely rare and authentic. Details and caption explaining very well, the interior and exterior really pops up your mind when pay attention to the details.
Don’t forget to walking around at the backyard park which is amazingly beautiful landscape scenery that you ever seen, with the flowing river underneath where you can enjoy the view while sitting down with your meal and gazing to the art statues etc.

Kronborg Slot, a 16th-century castle that served as the model for Elsinore in Shakespeare's Hamlet, is an impressive Renaissance structure declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its baroque green-copper spires crown a vast complex surrounded by moats and fortifications with Vaubanesque star bastions. Visitors can explore the inner palace's rooms adorned with tapestries and ceiling paintings, and marvel at the viewpoints it offers.
The castle is very interesting and filled with history.
I really am thankful for the amazing staff there. They are very good with speaking English and are very welcoming to everyone.

A good museum but it felt like it could be great.
The phone-based tour seemed incomplete and didn't flow well; also three of the four "tracks" were only in Danish (perhaps it's very new?).
The live action guides were okay but also could have been more engaging with adults.
The "cafe" was disappointing.

The castle is worth visiting even without paying to go inside (the ticket is kinda pricey, 14€ per person). The place looks wonderful, and while resting on the beach we even sighted a wild seal and a harbour porpoise!
Around the castle there are lots of workshop and art galleries which is nice as it feels like local artists really have a way to express themselves and get the possibility to expose their work.
The little gift shop is also a bit pricey but it has funny little Hamlet-themed quirks.
Too bad they didn't write "to be or not to baby" on the baby onesie 😆

Kronborg Castle is an absolute treasure that deserves every one of its 5 stars. Steeped in history and famously known as the setting for Shakespeare's Hamlet, this castle is a must-visit destination.

The connection to Shakespeare's Hamlet adds an extra layer of intrigue and fascination to the visit. It's as if you've stepped onto the stage of one of the most iconic plays in literary history.
Kronborg Castle's location at the edge of the sea adds to its allure, offering stunning views of the surrounding waters. Whether you're a history buff, a literature enthusiast, or simply looking to immerse yourself in the beauty of Danish architecture, this castle has it all.

This is a castle and stronghold. It is also famous world over as the setting of Shakespeare's Hamlet. The castle is open to visitors including the royal chambers, the ballroom, the chapel and various other sections. The staff provides a quick introduction after which one is free to explore the castle on their own. There was a lot to learn about the Danish history and specially about Kind Frederick II and his queen who was quite astute with managing the finances after the King. The castle is walking distance away from the Helsingör central station which is also where the ferry from Sweden disembarks. There are washrooms available in the castle premises.

A masterpiece of engineering and its wonderful appearance is a real experience to drive on it!
The Öresund Bridge or Øresund Bridge (Danish Øresundsbroen, Swedish Öresundsbron) is a combined road-rail bridge over the Øresund Strait. The bridge connects the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen, with Malmö in Sweden, and more broadly, Scandinavia with Central and Western Europe.
The European highway E20 passes through the bridge. Passenger and freight transport takes place on its double-track railway track. With a length of 7,845 meters, the bridge is the longest road-railway bridge in Europe. The bridge itself accounts for about half of the distance between the two coasts, the rest is bridged by the artificial island called Peberholm (4055 m), the tunnel leading from there to the Danish side (4050 m) and the artificial peninsula established on the Danish side (430 m). The bridge was handed over on July 1, 2000 by II. Queen Margaret of Denmark and XVI. King Gustav Károly of Sweden.

Also escape the nonsense of going hours early to airport and paying exorbitant rates for taxi.
Did take the train. Unfortunately it got delayed and I was disappointed.
But my disappointment was balanced by the ride over Øresund Bridge.
A mini Golden Gate, except that in this case it connects 2 countries Sweden and Denmark.
Truly an inspiring experience with all the respect to the engineers who designed and built it.

The Øresund Bridge in Malmo is nothing short of an engineering marvel and an iconic symbol of connectivity and innovation. Spanning across the beautiful waters of the Øresund Strait, this bridge is a testament to human ingenuity and architectural prowess.
One of the most striking aspects of the Øresund Bridge is its stunning design. The elegant, sweeping curves and sleek lines of the structure create a sense of grace and beauty that perfectly complements the surrounding natural landscape.
But beyond its aesthetic appeal, the Øresund Bridge serves a crucial purpose, connecting Sweden and Denmark in an efficient and convenient way. It has not only made travel between these two countries more accessible but has also fostered economic and cultural ties, making it a symbol of unity and cooperation.
Whether you're driving across the bridge, taking a train, or simply admiring it from a distance, the Øresund Bridge is an awe-inspiring sight that leaves a lasting impression. It's a remarkable testament to human achievement and a must-visit landmark for anyone traveling to the region.

It’s a wonderful bridge connecting between Sweden 🇸🇪 and Denmark 🇩🇰, the design is amazing because it’s going under the water, great feeling and nice experience if it’s your first time seeing such beautiful bridge 🌉, also great choice for architecture and landscape and landmark photographs to capture a very special photo with long exposure

Oresund bridge was the main initial reason why we went on city brake in Malmo and Copenhagen. Amazing construction solution and main theme in Netflix' crime tv drama "The Bridge".
Z.M. Todorovski — Google review
What a stunning bridge. If you go from Sweden to Denmark you have to cross the bridge. Plan that there is a fee in the bridge. You can buy combo tickets if you also take a ferry to Germany or elsewhere back. Also buy an online pass or just go there and pay at a service station and get the Maut right there. It’s 55€ so far. You can not walk or bike over the bridge. But the view is stunning crossing it from both sides. Worth going to Sweden by car.
Tylösand is a stunning 7 kilometer-long sandy beach that is popular among sunbathers and swimmers, with its borders lined with dunes. The beach boasts great sand quality and ample parking space. Visitors can enjoy watching lifeguards train on the beach, making it a lively place to be. While the weather may impact the experience, Tylösand's natural beauty makes it worth visiting even during colder months.
Extremely beautiful beach great sand great parking was down there when the lifeguards were training and practising extremely good to watch them do their thing happy that they’re there The beach looks like it must be better on a sunny day but still cloudy Swedish weather day it is a very nice beach I would actually rated and compare it to an Australian beach it is a really really nice beach

Lovely beach with soft sand, beautiful view and enough space even when it is busy. There are some beach bars here and there and there are even toilets and showers.
(According to the locals, the sand is of better quality than that of Hawaii beach).
At the beginning of the beach you can sit on the rocks and further on you can play volleyball or football with the placed nets and goals.
The only drawback is that many jellyfish wash up later in the day, but if you watch out for this, it is a wonderful beach!

Nice beach in Halmstad. The water is very quiet and clean. It is a four-kilometre-long beach. It has been named Sweden’s best beach time and time again. You can even enjoy a walk and find Tjuvahålan and Svärjarehålan. The two bays have a small beach, rocks and a jetty – perfect for a nice walk with friends and family.

Nice beach with a refreshing vista. Not too posh although it's close to a very fancy hotel. As it is with the west coast, very fresh water but be prepared for lower temps than usual.

This beach was unexpectedly great! Best time to visit is on Midsummer.
The weather was nice and the sunset was around 9pm-10pm. You must not miss the beautiful horizon!
The water was quite cold at first but then very refreshing. We met lots of jellyfish (not dangerous) and shell near the shore. The beach got a little crowded around 4pm-5pm (after work). These caused long queue to the only snackbar/kiosk nearby.
Innesa Nathalie Sumalnap — Google review
We came here a day when the forecast promised rain but the sun was shining so we were pretty much alone. Amazingly wide sand beach with a lot of space for many guests. Pretty shallow water, great for the kids. Some kiosks around for Icecream and snacks.
Lund Cathedral, an iconic Lutheran church constructed in the 1100s, boasts a unique astronomical clock and weekend organ concerts. The Romanesque cathedral is known for its twin towers and impressive wooden figures that come to life during the striking of In Dulci Jubilo. Finn, a mythological giant who helped with construction, can be found within the crypt along with a comically carved 16th-century well.
A little Swedish wonder. I enjoyed everything in this cathedral: the historical context for its building (the artificial creation of several bishops to gain the autonomy against the archbishop of the Hanseatic league), the sculptures on the stalls, the crypt and its couple of evil giants turned into stones, the permanent clock, etc.

Lund Cathedral is a stunning masterpiece of architecture and history. Stepping inside, you're instantly transported through centuries of Swedish heritage and religious significance. The intricately carved details, towering ceilings, and beautiful stained glass windows create a serene atmosphere perfect for reflection and admiration. Whether you're a history buff, an architecture enthusiast, or simply seeking a moment of tranquility, Lund Cathedral offers a captivating experience. Its central location in the charming city of Lund makes it a must-visit destination for anyone exploring southern Sweden. Don't miss the opportunity to marvel at this magnificent gem of Scandinavian culture and spirituality.

I've heard good things about the Lund Cathedral, unfortunately when I went, there was a service and guest couldn't go in. The exterior was also under renovation, along with the building next to it. I would not recommend to come during April due to all the events, and also not on a Sunday. The exterior though looked OK, hopefully I can come back in the future when everything's completed.

It was a great experience to see one of the oldest buildings still in use in Sweden and is home to several historic furnishings and works of art! It is in the centre of the city, close to many restaurants and cafés. There is no entrance fee to enter the Cathedral, but you could buy brochures or guided tours!
Don't miss the astronomical clock that dates from around 1425. It displays signs of the zodiac and the phases of the moon!

The 900 year old gothic style church is very impressive. They have been renovating the roof, but now the scaffolding is being taken down so you can also enjoy the exterior. Remember to visit the crypt to see the beautifully ornamented pillars.

The best and biggest church in Lund with very nice surroundings. 5 kr for littering a small candle at the church and it’s working fine with Swish. The church is under renovation so the rooftop is taken down now and it looks funny.

American POV: a beautiful church, clearly rich in history. I wish there were more descriptions/signs in English so I could understand more without requiring a tour guide. Visiting on a Sunday in November it was very quiet and not busy.

A remarkable beautiful cathedral that is almost 1000 old according to the tour info I have been told. It is well maintained over the years, and the design is absolutely spectacular with its magnificent structures. The natural lighting shades the interior beautifully.
They have a special clock that does a cute little performance twice a day, one at 3 pm and one at 11 am or 1 pm... couldn't recall clearly. Enjoy the show, and don't put too much expectations on it lol

This is a beautiful and ornate cathedral. It is well kept and very true to its origins. The feel of this cathedral is really uplifting and sacred. It has an amazing clock, which is a true treasure. We were lucky enough to be there when it rang, and the mechanical workings were incredible to see and hear. It was by far my favorite church that we stopped at in the southern part of Sweden (admittedly, we didn't go to every single one). The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful as well and answered all of our various questions very kindly.

During our visit to Lund Cathedral, we were treated to a truly remarkable experience. Consecrated in 1145, the cathedral holds significant historical importance and houses numerous renowned artifacts. The medieval clock and 11th-century crypt are just a couple of the fascinating features within. It comes as no surprise that the cathedral attracts over 700,000 visitors annually. With three stars in the Guide Michelin's Green guide, it stands as a prominent example of Roman architecture. The best part was that entrance to the cathedral was free, and nearby parking spaces were readily available. The friendly church staff added to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Overall, our visit to Lund Cathedral was a treat for the eyes and a captivating journey through history.
The Königsstuhl National Park Centre is a modern building that offers interactive displays and visitor information about the chalk cliffs. Despite being the smallest national park in Germany, Jasmund boasts stunning natural beauty, including dense beech forests with rare plant and bird species. The main attraction is the spectacular white-chalk cliffs, particularly the 118m high Königsstuhl (Kings Chair). Visitors can enjoy a short video showcasing Jasmund's breathtaking scenery.
It’s a great place for nature lovers and to know more about the local ecosystem and how it was formed. There is also a viewing platform where we can take some great pictures. Overall good way to spend time when in this area.

Nice view, however questionable, if worth the 10€ you have to pay to see it. The wandern in the autumnal sun was so beautiful
Alexandra Korman — Google review
Nice view but I don’t think it is worth the €10. There is a cinema and exhibition which people might find good but they are just ok. Victoria Sicht (victoria view) nearby behind the bus station is free of charge and probably nicer as you can view the Königsstuhl instead of paying to be on top of it.
Go straight to the Victoria Sicht and see if you still want to enter the paid one.

The level of monetisation is repulsive and the offer is underwhelming, especially second floor which presents a cheap collection of photos. Nice bistro.
Aleksander R?bisz — Google review
Mixed feelings, i agree with the people here being it too costly (with parking, shuttle bus and then entrance fee) its feels like everyone wants to profit out of something that belongs to nature.
I however like the informative tour inside the building. They also have the tour for blind people in which they can touch things and experience it better. Thats something you do not find often!
Karsten Saers — Google review
Very nice views but do not pay entry into the museum and national park centrum bit, unless you are disabled, and can't walk many stairs, or have kids that can pay attention to a museum. Museum was very high tech but seemed to be directed at a very young audience, feeling the need to explain even the most basic principles of biology.
I recommend just taking the bus (from the parking lot) there and walking the path with stairs (around ten minute walk) to the viewpoint.
Lou — Google review
This world heritage listed place is fascinating to visit with the white chalk cliffs. The information centre is also intriguing with explanations about the development of the Baltic Sea over the centuries as well as many interesting explanations about environmental issues. Well worth visiting.
Hans-Joachim Rosehr — Google review
Not worth 12€ for entrance fee, and anyone wants to come should buy the ticket online, otherwise has to wait in a long line for the entrance ticket. There is still Baustelle near the entrance with the machines working around. Half an hour waiting to get in the Austellung. The food (the fish) in the Bistro tastes terrible.
Lucy — Google review
Hiking paths are nice even though there’s not much people would choose such a way to get up to the Königsstuhl center.
Besides the buses are also quite convenient for visitors. But be honest, the cliffs and display center are not so much attractive for visitors anymore like years ago.
People have been coming and going so quickly for the reason of one minute viewing to the top surrounding?! A small outlook platform only.
The whole nature is slowly destroyed by people by building too much man-made infrastructure and overwhelming by great numbers of visitors.
I feel really sorry for such a over-doing for tourists.

There is nothing inside and it costs a bit much. If there's Fog, you can't see anything from the Panorama Sight. Definitely not Recommended
Emre Bagci — Google review
Insanely overpriced for what it is. Highly recommended taking the FREE trails around the site which offer equivalent if not better views of the wonder. 12€ to walk onto a man made structure and visit a mediocre museum is not worth it. The park surrounding the centre is magnificent and completely free to explore.

The view and the cycling path was really awesome! Make sure you wear nice shoes and carry a water bottle. And also if you are cycling upto the National park center, download a offline map before hand and be 100 % sure that you are on the cycling path, because if you join the trekking path and if the forest rangers catch you, you'll have to pay heavy fine, doesn't matter if you got lost in the forest, jus make sure you follow the rules haha!
The center however was very insightful, the exhibition center explains everything about the Chalk mountains and the National park! I would recommend to visit the centre too rather than jus going the sky walk bridge.

The place overall is really nice but it's absolutely not worth it to pay 12 euros for one mediocre lookout and a cinema experience of 20 minutes. There are nicer and better viewpoints around the place with no need to pay.if you come please just walk around the forest and find your own free lookout, it's definitely going to be better than this overpriced skyview
Zoo with naturalistic enclosures housing Nordic animals & a petting zoo, play areas & water slides.
Was pleasantly surprised! Specially that we got to see the dinosaur exhibition.
The place is well organized for kids’ adventures. There are Nordic animals too, they have quite large habitats and show up when they show up and I actually like that. Kids can really enjoy the place and the dinosaurs were way more than expected- real size reproductions/ they seemed so real.

A wonderful experience. Lots to do with your children. Both educational and with interesting playgrounds. Unfortunately the weather was too good. Nice place for families with younger children. Facilities are good and the entire park is contact free.
There are camping option that must be booked in advance. Pre booking of tickets is recommended.
There are some eating options available in the park but only a few are open due to pandemic.
You can bring your own food and barbecue options are available as well.
A word of caution - not all animals show up easily, especially for small children, they may not be able to locate them.
Arushi Dadhwal — Google review
Very expensive ticket if you buy less than 2 weeks ahead, in season, on weekend : 30 euros per person, including children. Parking another 4.5 euros, plus a lot of other ways to get money off the visitor. Very crowded on weekends. The area is huge and has many attractions, but if it is crowded, you cannot benefit. Goats welcome you as you enter. Using a toilet the water tank had no pressure, it was smelly. The animals and their habitats are nice, but not comparable to a big city zoo. There is a Dino park as well and many workshop places. Paths at tree level are pleasant to cross and give nice views. More English panels required. Not worth it if you stay under 2 hours probably.

Huge territory. Skånes djurpark is much more than just a zoo. It is a whole experience with many many activities for both children and adults. Worth the money.

Perfect place for outdoor activities. You can easily keep your kids busy. We had a great day and kids were very happy. They have restricted numbers of visitors due to corona virus. Thanks to park authorities for nice management. Love the place and definitely visit again.

Totally recommend. It's a zoo but it's also a giant nature reserve. The animals seem to have really good conditions and live in their natural habitat. It's an opportunity to experience spices like wolverine, bison, bear and moose. One can bring their own picnic basket or grill ,or better yet taste the food at the local restaurant, not bad at all. Make sure you download the weiq app in advance , makes ordering easier.

It was our second visit, the last time was 2021. I would love to give 5 stars, however because of the loud music from the dinosaur part, I had to take one star away.
All the other things in the park are awesome! We enjoyed every little bit, we saw almost every animal and we will be back as well! A definite recommendation to familys and couples or singles.
In 2021 we enjoyed the silence in the park and only hearing the animals around you. Especially during mating time. Now it was also paired with the sounds from the dinosaurs and it was distracting. Actually, really annoying.
We are childless, but I can imagine that it is a great experience for the kids, the dinosaurs. I just wish it would be more in the background (soundwise).

Very nice zoo with Nordic animals. Overnight stay is really recommended for the evening walk and feeding when the park is closed and silent (with animals being more visible and active). Don't expect much of for the food 🌭🍔, even though the free sodas and ice-cream makes up for some of it. Overall very positively surprised about the overall experience. Have tried similar in other zoos, and even though the animals might not be as exotic, it's still one of the best zoo experiences I've had.

Nice place to spend a day with kids and family. But ticket prices are quite high. Got to see few domestic and wild animals, along with Dinosaur land which was really exciting. We bought tickets online in advance, i think offline purchasing is bit expensive. One easily takes 3 to 4 hours to cover the whole park. There is a small beach also in the park which can be easily located with the map they provide you. Overall an average experience.

Ales stenar is a fascinating and secluded attraction in Skane, Sweden. It consists of a 1400-year-old ship-shaped monument constructed from 59 large stones perched on a hill by the sea. This impressive setting is Sweden's largest stone-ship formation and can be reached via bus from Ystad or by foot after visiting Valleberga kyrka. In January month, I decided to spend the weekend leading up to my birthday at Ales Stenar, a couple of cold winter days with snow and freezing winds that turned out to be an exceptional experience for me and my son of six years old.
The day we went uphill to see these ancient monoliths, we were blessed with a fantastic sunny weather, so we also explored the surrounding area that offered an array of stunning vistas and easy walking paths.

Läckö Castle is a remarkable instance of Swedish baroque architecture from the 17th century, positioned approximately 23km north of Lidkoping. Originally established in 1298, the Count Magnus Gabriel de la Gardie reconstructed and enhanced it in 1615. The castle is filled with antique furnishings and frescoes and conducts art exhibits as well as opera performances during summer months.

On a dark rainy evening:
It was difficult to know when we were arriving. Mostly this is the castle Läckö/restaurant Hvita Hjorten mistake. It would be great with signage showing where to park/go.
Anyway, you do arrive and park by the charging station for electric cars on the right hand side at arrival and follow the path way with lights that seems to lead you into nowhere, this is to get to restaurant Hvita Hjorten.
The castle Läckö didn’t have any lights at all and couldn’t be seen at all. What a pity for such an opportunity.
Restaurant Hvita Hjorten had delicious food, a nice ambiance and very good and friendly service.

The castle was very beautiful and is located near a lake. It is one of the historic place in Lidköping. One can spend 2 to 3 hours in this castle. There was guided tour in Swedish every hour and English guided tour every two hours starting from 10.30, 12.30, 14.30 and 16.30. We got lots of historic information from the guide about the castle, the rooms, the Prince and the Princess. That was very good!
You can also find lots of picnic spots around the castle near the lake, fishing spots and people can swim in the lake there as well. Also there was a restaurant near the castle's main entrance. We had carried our own food, so did not have a chance of trying food in the restaurant. One can also find a gift shop inside the castle and check out to buy some nice pieces 😊 as a memory!!!

Awesome historic adventure. Beautiful, interesting views inside and out. Tour was given by gentleman explaining details about entire castle.

Good for burning a couple of hours, but I didn't feel like I needed to stay much longer than that. Some interesting pieces of information, predominantly in Swedish and not everything is translated, but there is enough information in English to keep you satisfied. The grounds surrounding the castle are nice for a picnic and they have some outdoor concerts over the summer. There's a swimming spot about 200m from the main entrance as well.

Örebro Castle, a riverside medieval fortress, has stood for over seven centuries as a dominant feature of the city's skyline. Originally built as a defense castle and later transformed into a royal residence, it now serves as the home of the county governor. Visitors can explore its history through guided tours and family-friendly activities. The surrounding area offers picturesque views and dining options, making it an ideal destination for an enriching day out.
Örebro Castle is beautiful and acts as a central point for the city. The castle ground itself is really interesting, as well as the various exhibitions that you can see inside. The staff is very friendly and is happy to help you. My overall experience was great, and I would happily come back time after time.

BEAUTIFUL AND MAJESTIC - A fine center for a city that has a lot to offer. The Örebro Castle is worth a walk around and the castle tour is fun. The only reason for 4/5 stars is because of the gift shop. It is loaded w cheap products from China and when one failed and we tried to return it, they resisted the refund and were snarky. Please, this is Sweden and it is loaded w crafts that are made LOCALLY. Utilize your resources to promote this beautiful country and get rid of the trinkets that can be found in every gift shop around the world.

Was there in the evening on a public holiday and the Castle was closed, It is in the city center. The surrounding area of the castle has a park and the sound of water flowing through this park is something you can spend hours listening to.
Overall it is a good place to explore.

The castle is extremely beautiful especially on the outside. A unique piece of preserved cultural heritage, unfortunately the exhibition lacks in terms of substance. The artworks are few and the rooms are mostly empty, I feel there's a missed opportunity here considering the building's long history and there is room for improvement. Additionally a bit more difficult than necessary to find wardrobe space.

Very beautiful castle outside and inside. That said we have arrived 3 days before the grand new exhibition, the reception people told us 3/4 of the castle was closed. Don't know what to say about that, we saw a bunch of rooms showing the history of the castle, its style and some of the important people that passed by. Recommended

We did not arrange a guided tour but we have just met coincidentally a very nice guy from that region who was really familiar with the history of the castle and around. He explained a lot about the building as well as the family who lived there. How it was raised up and lot of other interesting things. Good to visit with family. Also the area around is very nice and you will definitely find a good place for lunch or dinner around.

We visited this castle in June 2023 as part of a couple’s trip in Sweden and it was a good experience. The castle is very pretty on the outside, as well as inside, and the tickets comes with a guided tour that’s very informative. We didn’t need to buy the tickets in advance, we purchased them on the day and there wasn’t any queue.

The Air Force Museum in Linkoping, Sweden is a must-visit for aviation enthusiasts and families. Located just 7km from the town, it boasts the largest aircraft collection in the country. The museum recently expanded with new exhibits and modern facilities, offering free entry for visitors under 18. It's a great place to explore Swedish military aircraft and learn about the country's aviation history. Families can enjoy kid-friendly activities while exploring this well-preserved piece of history.
An amazing place both for kids and adults. Huge space and lots to do in the lab. Great food at the restaurant! Unfortunately the flight simulator was closed due to Covid-19 even the restrictions were lifted in Sweden at the time of our visit.

While they do say on their website:
"Please note that due to rebuilding, some parts of the museum are closed."
What they do not say is that the "some parts" comprises 2/3rds of their collection! When they will be done with the renovations, it is not clear, just some time in 2022.
I have to deduct a couple stars for such a big impact not being made known, but aside from that, it really is a decent museum overall. The aircraft that were accessible are adequately spaced apart so you can wander around them.
Pros:
- Bus stops in either direction directly in front of the museum, and a large parking lot
- Museum restaurant is really good
- DC-3 Exhibit
- Captions for the Swedish documentaries
- Free Admission
Cons:
- 2/3rds of the aircraft being inaccessible
- Most of the non-aircraft exhibits were only in Swedish
If you have the option, I would visit the Aeroseum in Gothenburg until the renovations are complete at this museum.

Newly renovated, the museum was amazing to visit. Full of planes, history, interactive objects, games and the best of all - models of houses from the '60, '70, '80 etc. The smell, the furniture, the radio, the TVs, everything makes you feel like you traveled through time!
I 100% recommend going here if you are around.

One of the must visit place with kids, they will learn a lot about history.
Good time to visit is around 11 Am and then you can spend a good amount of time there, otherwise it's closes at 4 PM except on Thursday where it closes at 7 PM.
There is a cafe, where you can have nice coffee and a good monumental thing to buy for your collection.

Astrid Lindgrens Värld is a child-friendly theme park located in Vimmerby, Sweden, where visitors can immerse themselves in the world of Astrid Lindgren's beloved characters. The park features sets and characters from the author's books, live shows, and playgrounds set against the backdrop of Småland's nature. Visitors can explore Astrid Lindgren's childhood home at the nearby Nas farm.
There are several stages that actors play 20-30 mins stories from the books. The Pippishows very fun and even small children were sitting and enjoying them. There are so many details in this park from small themed houses with pretend toys to playgrounds.

Super interesting for children, and adults too! Interesting for children under 14 years old! It would be better to read fairy tales first, and then come here, then it will be very cool to be in this museum where everything is done as in the book! There is a journey in a small trailer through dramatizations and scenes from fairy tales. Amazing! Tickets are sold only with a bank card.

Great fun for the kids.
Everything feels genuine and the park is very nicely managed.

A beautiful place with a lot of very well made buildings and caves et.c. Kids love it! They also have some very good food at, for example, Majkens kök. For a grown up man the place may become a bit boring after a few hours and you will want to spend the entire day there after paying the rather expensive entry fee. I didn't watch any plays, but others said they were very good. Place has several ice cream and candy shops. I bought some very good candy there and some, not so special, ice cream. I was also very surprised that the ice cream lady didn't want to speak Swedish, but kept constantly changing to English.
If you decide to go here, you will most likely be positively surprised. It is beautiful.

Amazing scenery and the books are brought to live in such an amazing and detail oriented way! Food is good although there are barely options for vegetarians.
Great for people with kids and i absolutely love the shows. They have amazing actors

The actors were unexpectedly good. There were a few cringe moments, but overall loved it even if I'm not the biggest fan of AL's stuff. I went in the summer of 2022 so be aware the actors do change.

Great place for a fun day out with kids.
I actually expected a bit more of it, had imagined it to be more interactive, something like a book connected, however still it was a nice day.
The only thing that can be bothering are the crowds of people and the fact that the adults instead of give space to the kids by the shows in each station are just standing there blocking the view behaving like they are the only ones there.
For the rest well maintained and nice place to spend a day with you kids if they know the books (or not).

Although all the shows are in Swedish, we enjoyed everything that day. Knowing the stories Lindgren wrote allowed us to understand everything. The scenery of the park is splendid and what is special is that you can visit all the buildings and touch everything. Children can really play in the settings. The decoration is done with lots of details and is truly worth seeing. Outside, the decorative plantings are magnificent. Everything is very harmonious.

It is a theme park featuring Astrid Lindgren's book characters in their small worlds. In the summer the park has a very busy program full of 30-minute theatrical/musical shows scattered on different stages. Most of the shows are scheduled twice a day, some only once. It is impossible to see them all in one day, since some run simultaneously. The program is subject to changes according to season, so check their website. Everything is in Swedish, but if you are a big fan of Lindgren's stories and know them by heart, it is not a problem at all. It is fun and the performances are very professional. The stage areas are miniature worlds from the books and really make you feel part of the stories. The shows include special effects and animals.
There are a lot of places and playgrounds to visit, streets to wander and corners to discover. We were there the whole day from the opening to closing time (and you should, too) and couldn't see it all, because the performances took most of the time. There are places to eat and buy special edition snacks, but you can bring in your own food and use one of many picnic areas. The prices are actually the same as everywhere else, some ice creams had normal supermarket prices. If you visit in the summer, then the park is full of visitors and you might not get a good seat to all the shows, especially the grande finale in the evening. A great friendly park for families with children!

Astrid Lindgren World is a must visit if you like her work and has fantastic live theater. You can also visit all of her books places with fantastic real life representation. But I would recommend to visit the park in the late summer because how popular it gets, if you can arrange that great. But if you can't I still recommend going because how good it is even if it's crowded, because it's a experience for you and if you have the kids. 🤩

It was our second time here. 5 years ago it was just the same. The whole park is just lovely. Having grown up with Astrid Lindgrens beloved stories my wife and I want our four children to experience her world.
The park is a delight. Every detail is lovely. The actors (we love the shows) are living the act. It does not matter, that my kids and I do not speak any Swedish, the act itself is entertaining.
The park is huge but with a stroller no problem.
The price is high in entrance and food but it is a theme park so not unexpected.
We really had a great time, both times being here. Sure do recommend it for families with kids!
Seasonal wildlife park with tigers, a dolphin show, cable car rides, a safari camp & a petting zoo.
So awesome place. So good for as escape from Stockholm or as family trip with kids. I just loved every bit of this place. Dolphin show is must you will not regret it as well as old roller coater is just awesome. It was great day trip from Stockholm to Kolmården zoo. There is plants of parking.

I really enjoyed Kolmården, especially sitting in the "skii lift" watching over the animals. Despite that animals should live in the wild, the enclosures were good for what it was, some animals had more space then others of course. I wasn't happy with the dolphin enclosure.. it was way to small. In general I had a great day, the weather was amazing and the view from one of the restaurant is super nice!!

Overall, a nice park with some great shows and a spectacular 20 minutes ride above the animal pens thanks to the safari cable car.
Animals have quite a bit of space and the caregivers we met are nice.
One thing that felt weird is, as much as the dolphin show is great, seeing these animals kept in an indoor swimming pool is a bit disappointing.

The animal variety is great, their enclosures are really big and unique. The rides are really well themed and Wildfire is a world class coaster! The restaurants variety is really good and there is ambiance music all throughout park. The only thing it needs is a transition coaster from Delfinexpressen and Wildfire.

Kolmården Wildlife Park near the Norrköping, Sweden, is truly a remarkable and memorable place. One of the key highlights for me was the dedication and enthusiasm of all the staff members, which translates into a sense of responsibility that ensures visitors feel welcomed and cared for. Moreover, the park offers something for everyone, regardless of age or preference. From nostalgic reminiscences to new experiences, the Bamse park that had been one if my dream so far, safari cable car rides providing unforgettable views of animal habitats, encounters with endangered species prompting reflections on environmental conservation, dolphin shows, witches performances, and a plethora of other attractions, all come together to create a whimsical and enchanting memory for both children and adults alike. I highly recommend a visit to all nature enthusiasts. It's an experience unlike any other.

Kolmården has been on my ‘bucket list’ to visit for many years, mainly due to the installation of Wildfire. It’s in an absolutely beautiful setting, but it is quite difficult to reach from Stockholm by public transport, so the whole journey took about 2 or so hours.
The park itself is gigantic, but this means the animals all have big enclosures. They had pretty much every animal you could think of spread across the 1.5 square kilometre site. One of the highlights of the day was their amazing Safari that you experience on a cable car. It’s really a unique and exciting way to see an array of animals without feeling you’re disturbing them. There were Tigers, Giraffes, Bears and many more.
The other enclosures were also vast and there were lots of them, so make sure you leave plenty of time to explore them. Highlights include the Elephants, Rhinos and the charismatic Camels.
Now, on to the rides. We wondered through the children’s area ‘Bamse’s World’ which was utterly charming but not really what we were after. We had come for Wildfire, and I’m pleased to say, it did not disappoint. The roller coaster commands the skyline, and is truly a sight to behold. It rides both fast and fierce but also very smooth, and is exhilarating from start to finish. There are a few other children’s rides in the nearby Marine World area, but Wildfire is worth the entry fee alone.
The park is beautifully kept and well looked after, and there are some amazing and unique experiences to enjoy alongside the world class Wildfire. If you have the time, it’s well worth making the trip to experience Kolmården.

Wonderful place for entire family - especially for kids. We visited in early summer, all animals were active and enjoying the sun. The tiger kingdom is worth it. The rides are super fun. Rollercoaster is great too. Special mention to the cable car ride, great to see animals from top, it goes at a very relaxing pace. Great for grandparents too. Can also stay overnight, but we did a day trip. Would definitely recommend.

We were here for the Halloween stuff, and while that did not disappoint - Värdshuset was the highlight - and while there's a lot to see and do here, it's very much a children's park. Was annoyed that Wildfire was not up and running "due to the weather" (no wind, no rain, so ... huh). Also, we bought the Halloween package with a hotel stay, and apparently those entrance tickets did not include any jetpasses, which is absurd. The website simply said that entrance tickets come with one jetpass each - so why don't the entrance tickets that come in a package do just that? Why give less to guests who pay more?

Wow, wonderful place to visit with family. The wildlife shows were simply spectacular! The Dolphin Show left me amazed with its jaw-dropping stunts and heartwarming interaction between the trainers and the dolphins. The Bird of Prey Show showcased the majestic flying skills of eagles and other raptors, providing valuable insights into their abilities and ecological importance.

Excellent place - Fun + Learning.
Science behind everyday things explained in various rides and interactive games.
Superb place for young as well as old children and family - 2 to 12 years should have enough to explore.

Nice and educative museum for kids. It’s really recommended to go on a weekday if possible, to have less of a crowd. However, slightly overpriced if going as a family. But very friendly staff and a nice learning day for kids (would recommend for the age of 7 and up, to fully understand the different elements and learn). But the kids can easily spend a full day and luckily there are a cafe and restaurant that fits all.

This is truly one of the better family parks I have visited. I was most impressed by the zoo and its rich content. The animals look healthy and well cared for, which is not always the case in all parks of this species. In addition, children can play here in the amusement park, and then swim in the Baltic Sea. There are also several restaurants and bars on offer, so you certainly won't be hungry if you haven't brought food with you. I definitely recommend visiting this place if you are nearby, you will be able to have quality fun all day.

This park is not what it used to be.. After the shooting of the chimps.. Idk, it just has a sad, dull feeling over the whole park. It's more suitable for small kids, toddlers or so. The older kids won't be impressed. Too small area for the rides and not so much to ride actually. The animals.. Well there's some fun animals but it wasn't worth a visit. It's super expensive! Disgusting to hear of how they treated those chimpanzees. None of their animals are safe as far as I'm concerned now, and extreme measures need to be taken against these awful people before another senseless killing of some poor animal or animals happens again. It isn't right that they continue standing by their reprehensible actions as if what they did was reasonable with next to no obvious consequences. Hold them accountable—4.2 stars on a zoo run by such ignorant handlers and cold business people is dangerous and heartbreaking.
Gamla Stan, also known as Stockholm's Old Town, is a charming island with cobbled streets and colorful 17th- and 18th-century buildings. It's home to the Royal Palace, Storkyrkan cathedral, stylish bistros serving New Nordic cuisine, old-school pubs, and chic cocktail bars. The nearby Riddarholmen island hosts summer concerts at Riddarholmen Church. Gamla Stan offers proximity to landmarks like the Parliament and beautiful churches.
Fotografiska is a museum located in a former customs house, displaying contemporary photography exhibitions. The building itself is made of bricks and has been converted into a space that showcases world-class photography across four floors. Instead of having a permanent collection, Fotografiska hosts four large and over 100 smaller temporary exhibits each year, ensuring there's always something new to see. They also offer courses and workshops for those interested in improving their photography skills.
Very interesting place with unique exhibitions. Expect to spend at least 2 hours in there since you would most likely get lost in the fascinating and intriguing photos. The gift shop is also filled with interesting and fashionable memorabilia. However, it is a bit difficult to get there since there seems to be construction going on nearby so it is slightly inaccessible compared to the other museums. However, it is definitely worth visiting, especially at night since there are sometimes events going on. Crowds usually start to build up after lunch so if you want some time alone in the museum, it would be good to go early in the morning.

Absolutely amazing! The museum was filled with great photographs and had 2 floors so it wasn’t overwhelming to see everything. The exhibitions were very well organized. The museum also had an entrance floor lunch area with a very nice scenic view as well as a roof floor. Loved the building and the atmosphere of the interior as well as the view. Definitely worth a visit. The shop was also amazing with so many books and posters to buy.

Half of the exhibitions were interesting and worth a visit, but it was way overpriced. Visit only if the money is a non issue, or if you absolutely love photography. Definitely not for a general public.

The exhibitions were great and very on point. The selected photographers and their pieces were amazing, the amount of information given was perfect. People visiting can be a bit posh about clothing/looks and thus rude. The staff is not like that at all. Will return when visiting Stockholm again :)

One of the renowned photography museums in the port/Södermalm area of Stockholm.
The museum was currently exhibiting 4 exhibitions which we took roughly an hour to go through. I really enjoyed the Pet Show exhibition.
Make sure to check out the photo booth on Level 1.
The museum also houses a Michelin star restaurant - unfortunately did not have a chance to experience it this time.

Fotografiska is the best art gallery in Stockholm. It's not cheap to visit, but the exhibitions and artists are always way above par, everything is impeccably curated, the building is outstanding and the location is spectacular. The views from the top-floor restaurant are unbeatable. Highly recommend.

Our experience was a bit average. I guess the experience hugely depends on the collection at the time of visit. I was expecting a lot more from a photography museum than just the showcase of the work of some really big and celebrated photographers. For me, most of the work lacked either story or imagination but again, maybe we visited at the wrong time.

Lovely building but hard to get to because there are major roadworks at the main tube station and limited to no signage to guide you.
Other than that the exihibitions are interesting but nothing amazing either.
Restaurant is very nice with an overview on the bay and delicious food.

The photos exhibitions are amazing.
The experience on the restaurant was interesting but isn't breathtaking or amazingly good. The good side was the wine menu that has the perfect combination with the served dishes. Beside that is just overpriced food.

Great experience, ground floor is well built by decade and the set up makes time flying, very entertaining! The temporary exhibition was original and quite interesting. Big plus for being open late in the evening giving a chance to visit after working hours. However we couldn’t find any info on opening hours of the restaurant despite we heard from friends the food is very good, but we didn’t get the chance to try it ourselves as it looked being closed at 9.30pm.

Astonishing experience at Fotografiska.
We took the guided tour with Karim and it was worth every minute - he took us to the depth of each exhibition making our visit so much richer and different.
Beautiful & unique building, with a gorgeous restaurant at the top. A must try in Stockholm.

Caught the Terry O'Neil and Andy Warhol exhibits at the Fotografiska. Fantastic art space, with the building right in the Södermalm Island. This is a treat, especially for photography fans.

A thought provoking, immersive experience. Well presented throughout with some interesting exhibitions. Also very well located for excellent views across Stockholm with a fantastic restaurant bar on the top floor with excellent windows, although seats by the windows are reserved for guests buying meals.
I would consider this less a museum and more of a gallery, if you are looking for a museum of photography this is not the place, but rather a lovely art museum of photography.

Interesting presentation of photography. The ground floor presentation and music was a great, perfect lighting for photography. I loved the classic photography on the higher levels. The cafeteria is very good. Nice desserts and good quality coffee.

Loved my quick visit inside Fotografiska earlier this month. They had a great collection of souvenirs, tokens, literature, and relevant art from the hip hop exhibit. There were many great tributes for the musical & cultural genre across the related eras.

It is quite far from public transportation so beware to walk about 1.5-2km in a cold breeze along the way. The museum itself is very nice. Good exhibition. Good museum shop.

Generally has some great exhibitions on. Current one being the 50 years of Hip Hop which has some great photos/images from start of the Hip Hop era all the way through.
Check out the cafe on top floor for lovely vista over waters and view of city.
Easiest to just walk there from subway.

I’m an avid photography enthusiast, and while this wasn’t my first museum visit, I left feeling quite disappointed.
The location is stunning, situated by the water, and the building itself is lovely. The ticket price, around 24 euros, is reasonable, and the staff are friendly.
However, the museum itself is rather small. The first exhibits weren’t even predominantly photographic. The second part focused on selfies, which had an interesting concept but lacked something exciting. The remaining exhibits were “passable” at best, with a strange collection of kaleidoscope photos and Vogue movies. One part was pretty great though with the work of Richard Renaldi. The restaurant on the top floor offers a beautiful view but is incredibly noisy. Overall, I was quite disappointed. The museum shop also left much to be desired

Beautiful museum with multiple different expositions. Not just a feast for your eyes but also a trigger for your mind. We really enjoyed it and spent hours inside. Top floor has a nice restaurant with extraordinary views over the river and Stockholm.

If you love art and photography, you've come to the right place. The exhibitions with all the talented artists change from time to time. I really enjoyed browsing through the well-curated exhibitions. At the moment there's an interesting section on selfies (The Selfie Matter), exploring the historical and cultural aspects behind the popular photographic technique. And don't miss the "Cindy Sherman - Tapestry" collection.
I love that they also have a place for uprising talents where you can spot their work.
Upstairs there is a cosy restaurant and café with a breathtaking view over Stockholm and the harbour district - take a break there and let yourself be inspired!

Extremely good value for money! Really nice food, wine and service and not to forget the view!!! This is really a go-to place and the only complaint would be actual distinctiveness in 2 of the servings. Even though for the value I would go here as often as I could

I have seen several of Cindy Sherman exhibits in the US and Europe, ‘Tapestries’ is extraordinary! Her selfies digitized, changed, distorted by an app and transformed into 5ft tapestries. Art.
Sitting on an artificial island in Djurgarden, the Vasa Museum is one of Sweden's most popular museums with visitors from all over the world. The museum tells the story of how a ship sunk after leaving Stockholm only to be rescued 300 years later almost in perfect condition.
Amazing one of a kind museum. Detailed explanations of the salvaging and history of the ship. Guests are allowed really up close to the ship and it’s beautiful details can be examined. Three levels to the museum with a beautiful cafe with nice staff and good food. Gift shop is well stocked with affordable and good quality memorabilia. Strongly recommended!

Visited here our first day in Stockholm. Was super cool to see such a large ship on display inside. It really takes you by surprise when you first walk in! The amount of details in the ship is amazing. And to think how old it is and how long it spent underwater… Bought tickets on site and didn’t wait in any line.
My only complaint is the lighting. It seems very dim which makes it difficult to see the details and interior. I don’t know if it’s due to the preservation but brighter lights would be more beneficial. Even adding some lights inside the ship would make it easier to see inside when you’re looking through the open areas.
I like how there’s several different levels to see the various angles. It wasn’t too crowded inside which was nice and there was a lot of history and reading on other parts. All in all, it was a great time spending a couple hours here and I recommend it to others!

This is an amazing place. Such a wow factor as soon as you walk in the door, the ship is right there. Displays are easy to see and read, the floor plan is well laid out. The movie is shown in many languages multiple times a day so you can easily see it at some point during your visit. There's an audio tour that's also a text tour, using your own device. The great thing about this is that you can use it at any time before, during or after your visit so if you want to only concentrate on what's in front of you at the museum. Staff was so friendly and helpful with information. The museum is easily reached from public transportation. I felt that this was something I absolutely couldn't leave Sweden without seeing. Incredible!

Great museum with an actual ship for scale and details of the how the inside looked in the walk through. Kids 5 years and older enjoyed it because they can touch stuff in the walk through. Also a nice video explaining how it sank and the restoration process. Definitely a good excursion to try out.

Good museum, entry is free if you have the city pass. You can spend anywhere from 10 minutes to 1.5 hours here depending on how you want to visit. The ship itself is very impressive. There are lots of things to read up on, including details from the ship. There is also a room showing a film about the history of the museum which is really handy if you didn't come with a tour guide. The film is shown in different languages with a timetable outside. There are some really nice things to buy in the gift shop which are reasonably priced for the quality. There are a lot of unisex toilets on site.

Very unique architecture. A reconstructed and preserved war ship ⚓ from more than 300 years ago.
Very interesting story, a lot of lessons to learn.
We had a corporate event and dinner there. Experience that cannot match.
The waiters were dressed as 300 years ago. The good was presented so intriguing.
The temperature 🌡️ is 18 degrees to preserve the ship.
I highly recommend for private and corporate visits and events.

The story of this boat, read earlier, had not left me unmoved. Once past the entrance, it appears in its entirety, from bow to stern, keel to mast, incredibly well preserved. The Swedes are renowned for their mastery of woodworking, and this 17th-century masterpiece is proof of that. The shipwreck now allows us to see this unique testimony to the fact that an entire country did everything in its power to make this visit possible. You won't want to miss this appointment with naval history, and even more so if your route takes you through Stockholm.

This museum is fantastic! I highly recommend purchasing tickets online for around 20 euros; it allows you to select the closest available time upon arrival. The boat itself is absolutely incredible, meticulously preserved. The way they’ve arranged the exhibits is remarkable; some rooms have been faithfully recreated, providing an immersive experience. The artifacts, including clothing, jewelry, and other items found, are displayed perfectly. It’s a truly remarkable museum for both kids and adults alike. I highly recommend visiting!

A must for any touristic visit to Stockholm! It was like being in a Pirates of the Caribbean movie witnessing The Black Pearl live in the flesh. Just magnificent craftsmanship, and the details and sheer scale of the warship is unbelievable. Great exhibition full of history, with many useful and interesting facts. Try to book a guide and get on board the vessel for the full experience.

One of the most beautiful museums i have ever seen (and i have seen many). This museum is built on top and around the Vasa ship, and it's about the ship (the history and the story of how it was built, by whom and the purpose, and the story of the people that had to do with it and those who died when the ship sank) . I was amazed by the stories and the size of the ship. The ship is entirely in this museum and you hardly have a chance to see a ship like this anywhere else. I have spent 4-5h here and got to visit the city just to see this ship and the museum. I recommend sincerely - this is not to miss when visiting the city. I hope many will see this ship in the following centuries.

I am not a huge fan of museums but this museum is just fantastic. You can learn about the history of this ship, the effort it took to rescue and restore it, the ongoing effort to conserve it for the future and much more. There are info displays everywhere or you can join free tours in English and other languages. You can spend easily 2 hours or more here. The ship is absolutely impressive and huge!

We’ve visited a few museums around Stockholm, and along with the Museum of Wrecks, this has been the best by a long way.
Obviously the ship herself is an incredible thing to be able to see, but all the additional information has been incredibly well presented.
I highly rate the museum.
I had not appreciated the vast amount of detailed work on the ship, which was clearly shown here.
A great day out. Highly recommend this to all.

A unique artistic treasure. A huge puzzle.
It is really interesting to see this ship. And the more amazing is when you realize they pull it out after being underwater for 300 years.
We have to thank the brackishness of the Baltic Sea that helped keep this ship safe all these years.
In this museum, there are side exhibitions related to the events and equipment of this ship, which are unique in their kind. Especially the human skeletons left by passengers.
You can use the human guide in English and Swedish, as well as the audio guidance in several languages, although I have not used it and I have no opinion about its quality.
You can find a store with various goods, a restaurant and places to rest and sit in the museum.
Allow at least 3-4 hours to see it in detail. 😊
Have fun! 😍

Really interesting museum, within walking distance of Stockholm city centre. The museum has several levels where you see the ship from different angles and read about it's design and items recovered from the wreck. I would recommend allowing 2-3 hours to visit here.

I really loved this museum as they had simple and easy to understand explanations of the details that were on the ship. They preserved the boat really well and they also had a few films inside about the history of the Vasa ships. Definitely recommend this if you are visiting Stockholm. We also had the opportunity to visit the Brickwerks in collaboration with Lego, would have been more interesting and fun if I was 10 years old. But the ship is a total beauty that is worth seeing. We bought the tickets in the counter there, luckily for us there wasn’t that much of a crowd. Maybe if you are absolutely sure that you will be visiting this museum, it is not that bad of an idea to book the tickets in advance.
There are also clean toilets available inside and a restaurant but we did not try it. It was pretty packed when we went inside though.

The best museum in Sweden and probably the world! I’m not an expert in museums but this one has a nice layout. It tells a story from start to finish and you will be amazed on how detailed the stories are.
The documentary films are well made and it’s shown in various languages, on schedule, so check them out.
The staff are friendly and helpful. Great service.
The souvenirs are not expensive at all unlike those from other tourist places so grab a souvenir or 2.
If you have limited time in Sweden and can only go to one museum, this must be it.

Top 3 things to see/do while you're in Stockholm.
Great place to spend a few hours.
One of the only preserved ships from the 1600s, the sheer size and quality of this is extremely impressive.
Well worth the cost for entry.
Compared to its Viking Ship counterpart in Oslo, Norway...I would have to say this museum is even better. (Even if there are roughly 800 years separating the 2)

Amazing exhibition with super great views of the Vasa boat. The interactive built around this vessel is truly world class. It includes everything from a life size replica of cabin where crew slept to a steer the ship experience. The way things were highlighted was exceptional and I felt like I learned a lot about the history. Be sure to visit the cute little garden outside, too!

Amazing museum, can't recommend it high enough. If you're into engineering and building stuff you'll love this place, it has so many details on how the ship was built. All is focused on this ship and its numerous details, the whys and hows and when, the folly and ideas of the old leaders and told with a bit of whimsy. Been there twice already, and will be a mandatory stop when I'm in Stockholm

The most interesting museum I've ever been. The enormous ship was unreal. I felt like i lived in the whole story back then. Everything was perfectly organised and explained in the museum. Breathtaking! The ship the truly incredible - especially the carvings on the back. The surrounding exhibits are also interesting and give the story of the ship. The ship is in perfect condition for how long it was under the sea and a true testament to the salvagers. The line moved very quick and the attendants were extremely helpful. Definitely should visit if you are in Stockholm!

The museum is very interesting. I recommend you take the guided tour. It is included with the purchase of the price ticket. The tour can be every 30min or every hour. You have to double check that because on the website it said every 30 minutes but when I arrived they said every hour. It’s worth walking for the tour so they can listen to the explanation. They also have the possibility to have an audio tour which is nice and want to take it at your own pace. They don’t have any lockers to put your jackets in. The shop store is also very nice. I got the 2 children’s books about the Vasa which is very nice and easy for kids to understand.

Amazing! This has to be one of the best museums in Sweden or elsewhere. Such an interesting place. It could easily take 2.5-3 hours to visit this place thoroughly. So much effort has been put into creating this place and also putting the right amount of information so that it does not bore you. The magnanimity of the ship is something you cannot fathom until you visit and experience it yourself. Must visit and I would recommend dedicating unlimited time to enjoy and sink in the experience thoroughly.

Incredible museum, like nothing I've ever experienced before.
The description of the museum (a remarkably preserved 17th-century warship on display) entirely fails to prepare you for the overwhelming experience of seeing it in person. It is like traveling back in time. The enormity of the ship and the intricacy of the ornamentation will take your breath away, and that's before you even get to the beautifully designed exhibits on the construction of the ship, the circumstances of its sinking and preservation, the salvaging and restoration process and the ongoing preservation. These might sound like dry topics but you will be riveted.
Luck preserved this incredible ship for almost 400 years, but it was massive talent, skill, and dedication that built this museum.

I only had a couple days in Stockholm, with time for one museum and came to the Vasa Museum. It was a lovely experience taking in the different views of the recovered 17th century vessel. I also enjoyed all of the research and information about life in 1620s Stockholm, construction of the ship, and the recovery process. I arrived about 90 minutes before close and was able to view all the exhibits with about 10 minutes to spare, albeit a bit rushed. I wasn't able to view any of the informative screenings/videos though. I would recommend at least 2 hours if you can.

The best museum of its kind. The ship is really huge and majestic, it's a shame how it ended up. We could stand looking at the details of the ship all day.

This captivating museum houses the world's only almost fully intact warship from 17th century- the mighty Vasa. Tragically, the Vasa sank on its maiden voyage in 1628, but it was salvaged centuries later. The museum's layout cleverly guides you around the magnificent ship, letting you admire its intricate carvings and imagine life aboard. Interactive exhibits and multimedia presentations bring the story of the Vasa and its time to life. Don't miss the chance to explore the on-site shop for unique souvenirs before you depart.

The ABBA Museum is a museum dedicated to the pop group ABBA. It contains a studio and dance floor, as well as exhibits about the group's history and music. The museum is located in Stockholm, Sweden.
Loved every minute spent in this museum as an Abba fan. The staff, the virtual tour, the collection and the story - all is great. The shop outside has exclusive souvenirs of high quality. Inside the temperature is nice and not very crowded. Lockers are good. Totally recommend!

I swear, this is the best thing I have done when visiting Stockholm, I have no regrets. It's such a funky little museum - I was in awe seeing all the iconic original costumes worn by Abba as well as all the cool photo opportunities we had. The Abbatar experience was also fun, getting to pretend you were in the band. It's a very interactive museum, with a guided audio tour and lots of things to do.
There were also lockers to keep your stuff in when walking around the museum.

Must see place in Stockholm. The museum is not extremely detailed or fascinating, though it does give a good intro to ABBA. It’s very small. The entrance and exit are the same, so it can get crowded easily.
There are many interactive experiences, though some of them are broken. There are also many on-stage items that could be easily worth thousands or millions of dollars in auctions.
A decent place that could’ve been better.

To me it was one of the best attractions in Sweden. It explains in great details the history of the group ABBA all their successes and the impact that they had while they were at their peak. Absolutely beautiful! What an amazing experience.
As a huge ABBA fan, this place gives me that nostalgic feeling. Their music is a huge part of my childhood and until now I still like listening to them.
The entrance fee is very reasonable.
Buy some souvenirs and memorabilia because surprisingly they are not expensive based on Sweden standard.
Buy ticket in advance. Go to their website and you can choose the time you will enter so you can conveniently proceed inside when you get there.
Don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes!!!!

This my second time going. It is a very interactive experience. You can scan a QR code and get a free audio on your phone. When you enter there are some free lockers where you can leave all your things. The instructions are on the locker when you open it. It’s a bit tricky so make sure you read it properly. The bathrooms are also there so take advantage. So I would recommend you bring some headphones. When you buy the ticket it says you only have 30 minutes to visit but no one is checking and we stayed longer than that without a problem. If you want to buy anything at the shop at the end of the exhibition you can scan a QR code and they will give you a 10% discount. You will show it to them at the shop. At the beginning there were a lot of people but you can still get some good pictures.

I walked in as someone who generally liked ABBA, and I walked out as a super fan of them.
The museum does a really good job at not only portraying their life and accomplishments as a band, but also walks you through each of their individual lives before, during, and after ABBA.
Their creative process, the development of their style and writing, how their videos were recorded and much more are also explored here. It is all scattered in a very creative way throughout this museum.

A must see landmark for Stockholm. If you arrive early the line is workable but after 11 am there's usually a long line. The museum contains great materials and memorabilia along with media clips that make the visit very dynamic. You can easily get involved and it's a very practical experience to learn more about the group. Plan to spend at least 90 minutes. I would have given a 5 star but the space is a bit tight for such a large crowd and then the museum is mostly underground which is a bit odd.

Amazing experience in ABBA museum! I would recommend everyone who is visiting Stockholm to come to this museum. There was no queue at the entrance, it is easy to enter and also there is lockers for your staff so you don’t need to worry bringing it with you, just simply leave it in the locker and freely walk around the museum. Museum is really interactive, lost of things to do, sing, act, take a picture, take a quiz, etc. Only one thing I didn’t like and understand is that you are not allowed to take videos around museum but pictures are fine. I don’t find it logical. Anyhow amazing experience, worthy of your time. The store at the entrance should be better organised with more choices. Definitely recommending!!

This is a wonderful museum telling the history of the band Abba. The exhibitions are amazing and a great tribute to a great musical group. They do a good job telling the story of the members and then showing their time together and their post Abba works. There are a lot of interactive areas to let you song, dance and also a virtual giggle flight in a helicopter flying over the Archipelago’s showing where some of their hits were written. If you have some time while in Stockholm and enjoy music you need to visit this place.

It was such a great place to visit. We had a lot of fun learning about ABBA and their history. We really loved the AI stage and had a great time with karaoke and seeing all the clothes they wore for their concerts. We paid extra for the commentary, but you could enjoy it without it. Also, it's on your phone so you can hear it. You don't necessarily need to all pay for it. You can turn it up to listen together. It's not as fun if you don't know the songs, so if you plan on taking younger people, be sure they know the music, or they may not get as much enjoyment out of it.

This museum is one of the places where I had most fun. You can listen to songs of ABBA in several European languages, you can dance with holograms of band members on the stage and sing songs of the band for karaoke too. There is as well a documentary in the museum, you can check original clothes worn by band members, statues of the band, awards won and the recording studio too. You can eat nearby and you can buy amazing gifts in the gift store. Can't wait to go there again!

You can read the stories about every single person and the band. You can hear every single song and have a look about the important places, where they met and where their produced their songs. At the beginning of the exhibition you can see, how they built the Show for the Voyage Revival.
And naturally you have at the end of the exhibition a Souvenirshop. This was so nice and your ABBA Heart would be very happy.

Great interactive Museum, You can sing, dance with Abba . It was a great exhibition. All items are originally.
Important: You MUST BUY the entrance cards before online!!!
You can drive with the boat there or walk ( SL App - public transportation in Stockholm , as well for underground and so on....) in Nordic countries you cant buy transportation Tickets with cashmoney
Nearby are many nice other Museums ( for example Skansen ( was great too ) , Viking...?

What fun! I obviously know of ABBA but not the history detailed here in the museum. Their music still lifts us and even though it’s been decades since they played as a band today’s theater, technology and fans keep them alive!

it’s a journey into the heart of ABBA’s magic. Here, every exhibit is carefully curated to showcase the band’s journey, their unique identity, and their global impact. It’s a place that beautifully captures the essence of ABBA, making it an unforgettable experience for the visitors. ❤️

Great experience for ABBA fans. Here you will find everything: history, details, videos, audio, merchandising, etc.
The only downside is the ticket price. Worth to visit once.
The Skansen open air museum is a historical attraction located on the island of Djurgarden in Sweden and was founded in 1891. The museum has buildings from all over Sweden that were brought here to show what life was like in different parts of Sweden during earlier times. There are also craft demonstrations held, such as glass blowing, and an animal house where you can watch monkeys. The museum is popular with tourists who enjoy history, native crafts, local food, and native animals.
You don't have to pay for a lot of museums here in Stockholm, but this one isn't free. And this is within reason, because it's a great location to spend some hours while you're here. It's a combination between a small zoo (with a lynx, bears, moose...) And an reenactment of old times, complete with authentic houses and people who are dressed and offer insight on the lives of people who lived 100 years ago.
This place is really great. It's open air, so I would recommend going on a sunny day to get the most out of it. Great place to go with children!

We love this park. It is so sweet and beautiful. There are lots of animals with big enclosures, from farm animals to more exotic things like lynx and Arctic Arctic foxes. The views of Stockholm are really pretty too if the weather is nice. Reasonably priced for what can be a full day out. Really fun time!

We really enjoyed our time here. It is really pretty, clean and well organized. The animals are well taken care of, the dusplays are so beautiful and the staff are very nice and welcoming. It is really impressive the history of Skansen. 100% recommended.

About €25 per person to enter. It is an open air museum with small zoo, aquarium, gardens, and shops. Nice view of Stockholm from across the river. Nice place to spend half a day with your friends or loved ones if the weather is nice.
Some places are hills/stairs that can get steep, so wear good shoes.

Absolutely loved the atmosphere. We started around 11 am and could see the entire open air museum in 3 hours. There are many attractions within the museum from zoos, church, farm, and many other activity areas. If it’s a sunny day you will enjoy a lot. There is a decent aquarium called Baltic aquarium.

Skansen is an open air museum. The space is vast and you will easily spend 2-3 hours inside. There are multiple attractions, but the animals in their habitats were my favourite ones. The tickets can be bought at the entrance, no need to buy in advance.

Magnificent discovery in this vast park located on a hill in Stockholm. In winter, there is a cozy and quiet atmosphere due to the low attendance and you can walk among the wooden houses in a polar atmosphere. The animals live in semi-freedom close to their natural habitat. Very beautiful view of the city from the top of the park

Nice to visit on a clear weather day! You can easily spend the day there and enjoy some house / villages reconstitution and wildlife. You can pay by cash at the ticket booth and the souvenir shop which is a plus. The staff was really nice and the souvenir shop offers a large choice of handmade and traditional goods. Nice for everyone :)

If the weather is decent, this park is a perfect spot to enjoy a bit of nature in Stockholm for a half day.
Also doubles as a zoo and musical venue spot to enjoy an open air concert.
The park itself holds various species of local fauna (bears, wolves, etc) as well as different structures from around Sweden's past eras.

Visited on Monday and was really calm, no crowds (besides the big groups with children) so had the chance to fully appreciate it and feel the atmosphere. Zoo part is nice - lots of animals that are easy to see and are not disturbed from people. The old town with the different businesses and the glass workshop demonstrations just made me speechless. All huts and farms in the park are worth to be seen. Ducks , swans, chicken, squirrels walk around the park freely . ♥️ I really recommend to consider more time when visiting - we spent 5h and honestly would spend more!

Great Park with lots to discover. There are museums an old town with life role play, a small deer park including local species. I really enjoyed just walking around and get the impression how sweden has looked in different centuries. Come early and plan minimum 2-3 hours. There is lots to discover and many things close quite early.

It is really beautiful and interesting. You can go with children or alone. There is so much you can see. I would recommend taking a few hours of your schedule to visit it. I was there for 5h and still didn't see everything. You can visit a zoo or see an old swedish village and many more.

First time in Stockholm and I had a opportunity to explore this beautiful outdoor air museum. Which has so much to offer. Including night lights show. We covered 90% in our visit. Absolutely amazing visit 😊

Very cool concept, especially for families, but I would have expected a bit more for the price.
Having such a big park in a big city is by itself amazing. Then making it an open- air museum dedicated to educating people in a fun way is great. I liked walking around, watching the animals and seeing the unique old houses.
However, it would be nice if you could actually go inside. You CAN go in some of them with dressed up people explaining the history in a playful and fun way. That's great! Only when I was there these were only like 3 houses. Maybe it was just today, but I would have definitely wished for more.
You can see many animals that live in Sweden and I saw lots of families with joyful kids. You can join a tour for further explanations and they have signs with explanations.
I do think 19€ is overpriced for a student price. All in all, I still liked it.

Stunning scenery in winter. However, not much introduction or guidance about the architecture and the buildings. I was a bit confused.
Nevertheless, there is a nice lady who works in the church introduce us much about the Sami and Swedish history. Overall, it is a nice place to visit.

I really enjoyed the visit. It will take half a day to see everything. I saw all the northern animals, only the bear postponed the performances until spring for understandable reasons🥱 Many ancient buildings of various purposes, cafes, entertainment for children, benches for picnics. Beautiful panoramas to the city. There is the center of the Baltic Sea. The oldest open-air museum is especially popular with parents with small children.
Be sure to stop by😉

Weak; low value.
Slightly better than a walk through an old Stockholm neighborhood but with some animals & a price tag of 160 kr.
It could be cool if you’re with kids, but I’d skip if short on time. Note: we visited during winter time on a cold, cloudy day.

A very large open air display of housing and lifestyle through the ages. We visited in the autumn and not all advertised options were open, but still thoroughly worthwhile. Best to go on a fine and dry day to enjoy walking about. Easy access by public bus. Good amenities, small cafe. Part of the city visitor card system.

Lovely park! We went here for the midsummer celebration, when there was some programm, singing, folk dances, and a market. The park is big with a lot of things to look at and experience. Even a little zoo with "Nordic Animals". We will definitely come back sometime. Our personal favorite was the amazing underground aquarium.

Skansen is the world's oldest open-air museum. It has a number of traditional buildings on display from every part of the country. There are a number of traditional shops with demonstrations such as glass blowing. You could easily spend a couple of hours here or a full day as there is lots to see with events and performances happening throughout the day. As well as the houses and buildings there is a small zoo.

We had perfect weather in July and spent a really lovely few hours here. Lunch was average. There’s a really impressive mini-zoo in the back with beautiful landscaping and walkways. The highlight is the people reenacting historical activities like making cheese, living on a 1920s farm, going on bike holiday in the 50s. The kids absolutely loved it. Oh, and definitely don’t miss the Lemur enclosure! It costs extra but it was totally worth it.

A very charming place to visit. It's really cool that it's one of the oldest open-air museums in the world, and they also have a zoo garden. Important to know, besides the entrance fee, there are certain areas within the zoo garden where you need to pay an additional fee to enter and visit.

One of the loveliest experiences and places in town, although with a bit of mixed feelings when it gets to the lovely animals in captivity.
You can wonder around for hours in this open air museum. The visitable lively houses from various times close at 17, but you can remain in the park for as long as you want.

It was a really nice Park with animals and old Houses, but I think this wasn't the right time (March) to go for a Trip to Skansen.
Many enclosure were empty and I think it would be nicer, when the spring is coming and the nature will blooming up.
Otherwise the park was really empty und you've got parts to be for your own.

It’s an awesome place to bring your kiddo (and adults) to spend the energy. Lots of steep hills 😅, lots of things to explore. Especially we had lucky day to come with nice weather. I recommend you can take trams to Skansen then take SL boat to the next schedule.

Loved the Nordic animal exhibits! The lynx and arctic fox were my favorite. Wild boar piglets and bison were adorable too. We had yummy Flatbread at the top of the hill and enjoyed watching glassblowing. The souvenir shop had a great selection! I was tempted to buy a book about mushrooms but bought a jar of cloudberry jam instead. An excellent day out even if you are not a kid 😀

They charged us extra for the New Year's Eve event, even if we already had a ticket for earlier that same day. The event was alright, and the restaurant remained open. However, once New Year's Eve arrived, they began closing everything, requiring everyone to leave.
Interestingly, the sign indicating the year was mostly displaying 2023 (at 0hrs it changed but then it went back to 2023— I'm not sure why and didn't get an explanation). On the positive side, it offers a beautiful viewpoint of the city, and the music was good.

It has a lot of things inside, for a more than fair price. I recommend you visit the website to check the free guided tours hours and to ask questions to the people inside the houses. They know a lot of things and will show you inside the rooms and cupboards.
I recommend you buy the tickets in advance and spend the full day here.

When: end of year, after Christmas, during a week day
Who: young adults, without kids
I would not recommend going here. Most houses and markets are closed, lights and music are placed in the most random way and animals placed in cages with should really not be allowed anymore. The price is way too much for what you get. It was definitely a disappointment, but we had a good laugh about it.
I’m sure that for families with kids, in the summer, it is a great attraction.

In my opinion Skansen has everything a tourist would want to see when in Stockholm. The park has bakeries and coffee shops where you can taste traditional pastry and baked goodies. You can see arctic animals in the small zoo and domestic species who are closer to getting extinct, there’s an aquarium where you can get close to the animals and I’ve even petted a snake. You can have a free guided tour in the old neighbourhood and learn more about Swedish history and way of living. We easily spent the whole day there without realising it.

Excellent place to visit. The only problem was the English version of explanation that has to be done in the phone. The animal visit was interesting. Kids are super exited petting the snake and the spider.
Turku Castle, founded in 1280 at the mouth of the Aurajoki River, is Finland's largest fortress. It has undergone significant transformations from a simple island fortress to a Renaissance palace. The castle houses a historical museum that traces its history from medieval fort to renaissance palace. Visitors can explore two dungeons and lavish banqueting halls while learning about Turku's medieval past through models that showcase the castle's growth.
One of the most beautiful castles I have seen in Finland. Must visit. Excellent collection and presentation. Well maintained

Very interesting castle. The interior design is contemporary and the ticket price is okay for the size. Interesting insight into the Middle Ages of Finland. There were a few families with small children on site, so it was certainly well suited for children. I don't recommended buying tickets in advance, cause there weren't lots of visitors.

Although a little way out of central Turku, it is well worth the easy walk along the river or short bus ride to visit the castle, which can easily absorb half a day or more. It was badly damage in World War II, and it has been rebuilt with the minimum of conjectural reconstruction, and is a delightful labyrinth in which to immerse yourself for a few hours. The original castle is a bewildering journey of passageways and staircases (there is a really helpful room containing models of the castle through the centuries), with the lower part focussed on the medieval era and the upper part on the Renaissance period. The bailey, at the front, is part castle history and part museum of nineteenth-century Turku interiors. There’s a café/restaurant in the courtyard for sustenance, and helpful staff positioned strategically around the tourist route.

My wife and I spent 3 hours going through the castle a few years ago, and wanted to come again. This time we spent 4.5 hours. I truly enjoy this castle.

We visited here on a weekend. We arrived a bit last minute, and didn’t have enough time to see all of the castle. There weren’t many guests left. Us and two other groups.
Nevertheless, the castle is well preserved and I really liked the staff; Knowledgeable, polite and with a positive attitude.
I advise to definitely have at least 2 hours of time, so you can relax and enjoy the place in peace.
The tickets for adults are 12€, kids (7-15) 5€, under 7 are free. There’s also special family tickets etc, you can ask at the front desk. You may also use the museum card.
If you’re a wheelchair user or have trouble walking, some areas may be impossible for you to access, while others a bit hard. There seems to be an elevator, which you can use to get to some parts, so not completely inaccessible.

A beautiful building that underwent a conservation process, and its spaces have become a living museum of extraordinary history. The museum includes dramatic exhibition spaces, and spaces with interactive displays for children who can be almost real knights🤺🤺, kings and queens👸🤴🏻 Throughout the year, there are unique activities, plays and workshops for children.

This place deserves 10 out of 5 stars!!! The castle is amazing itself as well as the modern restoration and information regarding how they did it. And just when you think you're done there's a whole other area filled with slightly more modern furniture, clothing, metalwork and more! Be sure to give yourself lots of time. I'm a slow museum visitor but I don't think I could see it all in one day.

I could’ve spent easily 2 more hours in there. I learned so much about Turku’s (and Finland in general) history at this museum. The staff is kind and helpful and eager to explain. I wish the lighting could be a little brighter because there were some exhibit notes that I couldn’t read because of how dim the castle was. The castle can also be rented out for special occasions like weddings and such! I was grateful that most rooms had its exhibit notes translated in English.

Despite Turku Castle's rich history and knowledgeable staff, our overall experience was marred by an unexpected policy regarding ticket validity. On our first visit, we purchased tickets in the late afternoon but didn't have time to explore the entire castle. When we returned the following day to continue our tour, we were informed that we needed to purchase new tickets, despite having paid €14 each for the original tickets.
While some of the staff members were genuinely passionate about sharing the castle's history, our encounter with the older lady at the reception left a sour taste. Her dismissive attitude and the lack of flexibility regarding ticket validity tarnished our overall impression of the castle. It's disheartening to see a place with such a rich heritage adopting a money-oriented approach that prioritizes ticket sales over customer satisfaction.
We suggest that Turku Castle consider extending the validity of their tickets to 24 hours, allowing visitors to fully explore the castle at their own pace without the burden of purchasing multiple tickets. This change would be more customer-friendly and align with the spirit of a historical landmark that deserves to be appreciated and understood in its entirety.

Turku Castle, Linnankatu 80, 20100 Turku
Among Finland’s most prized pieces of national heritage, as well as one of its oldest buildings, Turku Castle took shape in the late-1200s during Finland’s Swedish period.
It was built to defend their province of Eastland but took on all sorts of different roles over the next few centuries: It was a luxurious palace, administrative centre, seat of government, warehouse and then a prison right up to the end of the 1800s.
Following a delay, the building was finally renovated in 1987 and is now a museum.
Currently under maintenance and repair activities.

Turku Cathedral, the main Lutheran church in Finland, is a large brick Gothic structure that has been reconstructed multiple times after destructive fires. The cathedral, consecrated in 1300 and restored after a fire in 1827, boasts impressive frescoes and royal tombs as well as a religious museum featuring medieval sculptures and other artifacts. Visitors can also enjoy free summer concerts showcasing the cathedral's organ on Tuesdays at 8pm.
Good place to visit if you’re in Turku and you will be astonished if you imagine about the time it was built!
View from the outside is great and there’s no entry ticket.

In a generally low-rise city centre, Turku Cathedral is a striking, dominant presence. Externally, it has the appearance of many alterations across the centuries, whereas first impressions inside are of a harmonious, peaceful place. More detailed exploration will show all the ways it has changed over the years, but it is an interesting church to explore, with variously chapels and monuments revealing a long and complex history. It’s also worth spending a little time sitting and soaking up the tranquility amidst the busy city outside.

Beautiful cathedral. Very unusual look to it. There is a small museum upstairs that only costs 2 euro and I think it was interesting and definitely worth the few minutes it took to go up. There are some very cool models of the cathedral from various stages in its history. The visit has spurred me to read up a little more about the history of Turku and the great fire.

It was the most beautiful and wonderful church I have ever been to visit in Northern Europe. As soon as I entered, the sound of pipe organ ensemble, which sounded meek, and the quiet, sacred interior, was really beautiful. The cathedral is an amazing piece of history. Not only is the building still in use and beautifully maintained, they have also taken care to preserve the evidence of its many incarnations. The models showing its transformation over the centuries was well worth the visit. But then there was more! Statues, metalwork in silver and pewter, and textiles dating back centuries. One of the most moving buildings I have had the pleasure of visiting. ♥️♥️♥️

"Proper Finland" is the oldest part of the country, and the Cathedral of Turku represent the place in which Finland, as we know it today, took its' first steps. The old graves under the cathedral are just like in the middle Europes cathedrals, but in addition, there are, for example miniatures from the vessels that were absolute life line for Finns for centuries. Turku Cathedral is part of everyday life even today. At the time of the visit, there were exhibition from Ukraine and children's music school.
