Best dive school I've ever been to!!!
Just completed my rescue diver and Julie, my instructor, was so calm and relaxed and the 2 days of open water assessments were fantastic!!!
The accommodation on site was lovely and was very grateful to Christine for rearranging things last-minute due to flight changes.
I would highly recommend Omega divers for anyone looking to do any diver training: unfortunately couldn't dive Elephant Cave this time around, but hopefully will get an opportunity another time ;-)

Had an amazing experience with Omega Divers. We did our open water course in may and we couldn't of wished for a better instructor, Matt, he was so helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, he really made our experience the best it could be. We did the beautiful elephant cave dive and shipwreck after our course and he looked out for us, we always felt so safe and looked after. He really went above and beyond for us always and made our dives unforgettable, all the rest of the team were friendly and welcoming too. Amazing dive centre! Thank you so much Matt and sorry for the late review.

Omega picked us up from our ship Enchantment of the Seas and drove us to their dive shop. We then filled out the requisite paper work and got fitted for our equipment. We were then taken to their dive boat and driven about 20 minutes to the elephant cave dive location. We first did a 20 minute dive to get used to the cold water before we did entered the elephant cave. We had about a 20 minute break where they provided a light snack and water. We then did the elephant cave dive which required a 20 to 30 m swim through a dark tunnel into the cave. The dive master pointed out the elephant fossils. We swam about 20 minutes in the cave and then swam back out through the tunnel. The dive masters were great. All the equipment was in top condition. The only negative was the water was 18 C and very cold to those of us used to diving in the warm waters of the Caribbean. It was a great dive experience and I believe it is a once in a lifetime opportunity. After they dive, Omega returned us to The Enchantment of the Seas.

An awful employer, who cares little about their employees. They are just as bad about the care they show for anything regarding a customer, other than obtaining the customers Euros. If you are seeking a quality dive operation who is focused on safty, good well maintained equipment, and a genuine concern for their customers and employees; Omega Divers is not the dive operator you want to give your money to.
Plenty of good quality dive operations in Crete, unfortunately Omega Divers is not among the best or even good operators in Crete.

I had 4 wonderful dives here with an amazing team! The elephant cave is really stunning and a must-see. As I was there at the beginning of the season, we had very small groups with 3 students and 2 instructors, which was pure luxury :) Thanks to Dimitri for picking me up in Chania. I will come back to this dive center as they are really caring and just lovely people!

Fantastic Morning!!!
The meet up was very official. Completed paperwork and tried on fins and masks. After everyone was ready we were shuttled the short drive to the dock.
Once aboard Simone introduced herself and Captain Chris, then we went around the boat with our introductions.
Before our first dive Simone gave clear instructions covering how to prepare our gear and basics snorkeling techniques for any beginners.
She explained she was to be our snorkeling tour guide and for us to stay close because she had an underwater camera to take photos of us, and if she saw something she would gather us around to share. For those who wished to adventure on their own she explained our snorkeling area boundaries, for our safety. That underwater camera was fantastic! She took photos of everyone, when we would dive down to explore the sea floor, and of the various items we found.
The SUP beach was a fun time too. We swam from the boat to the beach where we were issued life jackets and instructions for SUPing around the bay. Simone and our SUP “coach” kayaked around with us to ensure our safety, and again, taking numerous photos.
Our final snorkel location as at the island of Karga. Simone told us the story of the invasion of the island and the ancient pottery we would find during our snorkeling. She explained we could pick up the pottery, take photos, but then drop it back to the bottom. We saw the Venetian ruins along the shore and snorkeled around finding all kinds of broken pottery.
It was here Simone picked up a live sea urchin and educated us on this prickly creature. She then passed the sea urchin to each of us to hold and get a photo with. This was a super cool experience. I have seen many sea urchins, but never held a live one.
The photos were shared with me from Omega Divers.
Overall a better experience than we expected. Would recommend this to anyone interested in a fun snorkeling experience.

Had the best experience ever! My friend and I called them the night before and everything went so smoothly— someone got to our airbnb and picked us up exactly at 830am for our 9am slot. Once we got there, they gave us our wetsuits and we hit the road. We had 1+h of snorkeling and another of SUP (was with the team for 4 hours and everyone was amazing. Very responsible and funny team (shoutout to Yan!!) Would definitely recommend!!

We reserved 3 introduction dives and 3 double dive including the elephant caves. When we arrived, the weather was too rough for the elephant cave. It turned out that it was too rough for 3 weeks, but they did not tell that on the phone. They proposed to reschedule, but that was not an option for us. Since some of our friends did the introduction dives in another spot, we asked to go to the same spot. They were really flexible with that. The instructor Spencer was amazing, he was really nice and showed us some octopuses and starfish. The introduction dive was received very well!
Long story short, the diving place is good but be sure to confirm that the weather is good to do the elephant cave, they don't mention it when making the reservation.

Today myself and my husband tried diving for the first time with Omega Divers and we were very happy with our experience.
To start, we were picked up from centre of Chania for no additional fee. We were brought up to the diving centre and presented with some needed paperwork. Afterwards we were briefed and instructed how to use the equipment and how to communicate under water.
We had the beginners lesson and it was 4 of us total (two couples) and 3 instructors went with us if I remember correctly. We felt well informed and safe throughout which means a lot as spending 30 minutes under water for the first time in your life can be a little stressful. I would definitely do it again! Thank you, Omega Divers 😊
Also, they take photos and send them afterwards free of charge. Great thing to have.

Thank you for a great couple of days diving. Very professional and very enjoyable.
All your staff have been first class from the booking process, Dimitri collecting me at the hotel, the boat crew and the guys even helping to clean my gear before I had to pack to leave. The snacks on the boat were a nice touch too.
I’d especially like to highlight Mario for his excellent knowledge of the Elephant Cave. That was an amazing experience that I would recommend to all diver.
I would highly recommend Omega Divers and hope to dive with you again in the future.

I recently went diving with this center when in Crete. They were great. I have my PADI open water and they took me on two fantastic boat dives (one being a wreck dive which was a first for me, and fantastic). I was diving alone, so it was great to be with such competent instructors. They even let the group split so that those who used air much quicker surfaced with one instructor and the rest of us could remain down with another - meaning we all got the most for our money. My friends also did a discover scuba drive on the same day and loved it! They had 2 dive instructors for the 3 of them and they felt super safe and enjoyed every minute. They learnt the basics in a practical session rather than needing to sit in a classroom which suited what we wanted. The bonus for me was that all the kit was taken care of. I didn't have to do anything (at a lot of other dive centers across the world I've had to clean my kit etc at the end of the day). Prices in Crete seem very standardised, and we thought it was well worth the money!
This place is mystical and leaves a lot of things to your imagination. Walk around and get lost in the best suggestion I can give. Also stand in the middle of the amphitheatre and hear your voice echo.
Hazique G.M — Google review
Beautiful. We loved all the things to see here. We brought 8 people in our van. Parking was easy. Amphitheater is amazing. The cistern was so impressive! To see so much history in such a small space is really great.

The views are amazing , the site itself is very interesting you can get round the whole site in about 2 hours. However if you have mobility issues the ground is quite uneven in places.

A really great archelogical site. Entrance fee was 4€ when we were there in April 2022. Thanks for keeping history alive for the younger generations!

Gorgeous, exciting, incredibly preserved! This was one of the highlights of our trip and is well worth a visit. Splendid views and a fascinating site. No shade cover so prepare to be warm but don't miss the theatre!

The end of April is a great time to visit the ruins. It's beautiful and fascinating. I definitely recommend this.
G Jones — Google review
A beautifully preserved archaeological site. There is enough there for at least an hours exploration, you can walk around many of the ruins, even delving into the monumental cistern beneath the ruins.
The site was empty of people when we went which was an enjoyable experience.
Annabelle — Google review
Large, elevated site with excellent views of the surrounding area. Still only partly excavated, the many areas can be explored at will. The amphitheatre is worth the long walk down an olive tree lined pathway and gives an idea of the spread of culture, even in remote areas of the island. The information centre is located in a room of the monastery.
Joseph Gregory — Google review
Informational & easily walkable! Though I’m not museum type, my husband enjoyed this a lot. Has nice working bathrooms, which I didn’t expect. When we were there it looks like a local school was practicing a play- so cute! Imagine this being your local theater!

Nice, very lonesome place (at least at the beginning of April) with oustanding views. Definately a 'must see' if you are on Crete

Ruins are in various states but give you a great impression of how life was. Most impressive was the 3 domed cistern and the amphitheatre. There are fantastic views from the Ottoman fort down the road too.

The Archaeological Site of Aptera is a hidden gem of Crete that is definitely worth a visit. It was very easy to find and we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful ancient ruins that we encountered. We visited in April, and the surrounding fields were in full bloom, adding to the already stunning atmosphere.
What's more, as a youth group, we were delighted to discover that there was no admission fee, making it an even more attractive option for budget-conscious travelers. The site is well-maintained and the information provided on the signage is very informative, giving visitors a fascinating insight into the history of the area.
Walking around the site is a truly breathtaking experience, as the ancient structures are still standing strong and offer a glimpse into the lives of those who once lived here. It's amazing to think that these buildings have been standing for thousands of years, and yet they still look so grand and impressive.
Overall, I highly recommend a visit to the Archaeological Site of Aptera. Whether you're interested in history, architecture, or simply looking for a unique and beautiful place to explore, this site has something for everyone. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the site could benefit from a bit more interactive elements to engage visitors, but nevertheless it was an unforgettable experience.

Stumbled on this gem!
We wanted to enjoy the countryside so drove to have lunch nearby and stumbled upon this site - pretty amazing and well preserved (particularly compared with Knossos…)
Almost had the place to ourselves and a relaxing and interesting walk around the site.
Beautiful cistern and theatre buildings

Wow we were really impressed by this archaeological site. Ancient ruins and houses well-preserved, you can even go inside the ancient cistern. Very instagrammable photos are taken here! And of course the historical part is sooo interesting as this place was built at least on 11th century bc! The entrance costs just 4 euro but we've spent here more that 1 hours
Natalia Yefimova — Google review
Extremely beautiful archeological place to visit with a lot of history and sightseeing. You need to check what time its open before you visit and it also has a paid entrance that costs around 4 euros. There is also a huge parking nearby and a lot of paths that lead to different sightseeing but require some walking. There are signs with information and photos of the sights your seeing with a lot of information provided.
CRETA TOURS — Google review
I absolutely loved the experience! The sites were not overcrowded, the ruins are beautifully kept and the information very interesting. At €4 an absolute bargain and worth every sent.
Nestled in the foothills of the stunning White Mountains, the Botanical Park & Gardens of Crete is a vibrant oasis that emerged from the ashes of a 2003 fire. This expansive 20-hectare space showcases an array of tropical trees, medicinal herbs, and plants from around the globe. Visitors can meander through paths lined with fruit trees, aromatic plants, and therapeutic herbs while taking in the colorful blooms and fragrant scents.
Amazing place, probably my favourite thing to see on Crete. There is an incredible amount of plants and a lot of animals; tons of peacocks. geese, ducks, goats, donkeys, there are turtles, but we didn't see them. Slowly walking it takes about 2 hours, there is lots of shade on the path. At the end there is a water mister for cooling. The restaurant has really good wooden grilled meat and the ice tea with herbs from the garden, even though a bit pricey is one of the best things I drank, ever.
Bine Sr?en — Google review
Very different setting for a botanical garden! The entrance is perched at the top of a rocky outcrop and they've successfully managed to design a steep descending garden and it's not so steep incline on the other side of the ravine. Paths are rough and steep in places with not much to hold on to if you aren't fit or able! The abundance of interesting flora and citrus fruits are worth going to see. The reward at the end is a superb restaurant with excellent food. A bit too early in the year to see it at its best.
Gwen Johnson — Google review
To be honest I read the reviews before going and expected more. There are a lot of interesting plants but you can’t tell which is which because the labels are confusing or missing altogether. Also there are some ‘highly poisonous’ species (as the sign said) right on the path so I’m not sure that’s a good idea. The path itself gets a bit steep at times so people with troubles walking should note that. There are stopping points and benches which were a bit wrecked and I recall only one bench with a nice thick shade. The animals are by far the best part of the gardens , they are adorable. You should prepare for a long walk .

Very nice walk along a well maintained path. Educational. Beautiful. We were there in spring, so some nice flowers. But other seasons will have their own benefits. We also saw some salamanders and butterflies. The restaurant is nice as well, good food and nice views. Overal highly recommended.

Such a wonderful place and all, we had a walk around the park with our 9 year old and thou he got a bit frustrated at his parents stopping to read up on the different plants in the garden he still by the end of the day liked it.
The restaurant has plenty of shaded tables and a wonderful personal. We had a salad and the lamb pie and shared them among us three and it was plenty of food for us. As a dessert we got some fruit on the house, the oranges are super tasty and sweet.
I would recommend this place to anyone but especially to any gardening nerds out there.

The botanical park was a special treat while visiting Crete! The staff of the park were very welcoming, and the host did a great job explaining the Crete culture, food, and use of olive oil.
We got to walk half of the garden, which took about an hour. If you visit, definitely wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water to stay hydrated as the garden has a lot of up and down slopes.
The garden featured so many different plants and fruits, and there were even beautiful peacocks roaming around the grounds.
The best feature of the park is the view of the beautiful hills and mountains of Crete from the restaurant!

Beautiful and relaxing 2,5km walk through exotic and domestic trees, shrubs and herbs.
It is a lot cooler amongst all the vegetation but I recommend bringing a bottle of water nevertheless.
We didn't expect to descend and again ascend so much and my mother, who is almost 80 and has a bad knee was struggling a bit but we took it easy and she made it at her own pace.
Treated ourselves to coffee and delicious cheesecake back at the restaurant.

Really lovely place to visit. You follow a trail downhill and then back up, for about 2.5 km. I am 55, very overweight and unfit, but managed the walk without any issues as there are no major steep places on the way back up. 7 Euro in. Busy restaurant also. Good toilet facilities. Little lake at the bottom with deer, ducks, peacocks, etc. So glad I went.
Michael McGrath — Google review
A gorgeous garden with plants from temperate and tropical places worldwide, all informatively labelled in Greek and English. The trail is around 2.5km on dirt paths with a lot of steep ups and downs ( not for wheelchairs) but the plant variety is astounding. And the restaurant is excellent.
Peter Ross — Google review
The park and gardens are enjoyable and their collection of plants and animals makes for a nice walk. The best part has to be the restaurant though, the service, setting and food is amazing. Locally sourced organic ingredients, cooked in a traditional wood fired oven, all served while you take in the amazing view of the surrounding hillsides. They also have a great l selection of local wines and beers!
Joe Hamer — Google review
A favourite visit during our trip to Crete. Accessible via reasonable roads with parking on site (for a low entrance fee) to the gardens. Stunning scenes and a manageable 2.5hr set route to walk (managed by adults and children aged 7-10). Sticks were available to borrow for the walk and basic (well marked) tracks that followed through a set of beautiful plants and flowers en route. At the bottom of the route (around half way) there is a wonderful lake with some very content animals (or so they seemed), which we were thrilled to find. At the end of the walk, a wonderful, hillside restaurant, which offered traditional dishes (at a reasonable price) which were beautifully made using (what I understand was) for a lot of the produce available on site. Staff were very polite and accommodating with options for children. The shop also sold some delicious, local products at a range of prices.
Catherine Tolmie — Google review
A jewel in Crete's crown, this wonderful meandering walk through this garden is packed with specimens from around the world. How they managed to keep hostas, as well as some other more temperate plants/trees alive, is beyond me!
It's a good two hour walk and includes a walk around a large pond with reindeer, geese, ducks, peacocks and donkeys. Further up near the stream, that trickles down through the garden, is even a badger set.
Lovely signs placed around the site remind us of how precious the natural environment is.
There is also a restaurant on site which rightly boasts excellent cuisine. I was blown away by the haute cuisine at very reasonable prices. There is also a shop where you can buy local produce.
I hope to visit again in the future - highly recommended.

This one needs to be on top of to do list when going to Crete!
We had an awesome experience learning about flora and fauna. The place is beautiful and you clearly see it's being taken care of in a very professional way.
Having the chance to see a peacock so closely and see how happy the animals in general were there made the experience even better.
PS: Never have I ever seen such well treated donkeys in my life. Shiny hair, very clean. Just great
Geovanny — Google review
Amazing views, beautiful plants. Not crowded, quiet place, a really nice program. Most of the place has a shadow but if you visit during the summer months I recommend a hat, water, and definitely comfortable shoes. There’s a restaurant upstairs, with beautiful view. The entry fee is 6 EUR for adults, it really worth it!
We parked by the road, but even if you see cars on the road parked, try to go to the parking lot, there might be places still.
Kid friendly place, but it might be boring for kids under 6-7 years.

This park was a welcoming surprise. Their claims are well supported. The trek can be a bit rough at times, you must have proper shoes. They have resting areas and benches toward the end. It is certainly fun and educational. They have excellent views. The restaurant, which is located at the beginning and the end of the tour is excellent with amazing local food. Although it's something different in what you'd expect in Crete, I do recommend it.
Peter Papagiannakis — Google review
2.5 km walk through the botanical park. At the beginning you have different plants every 5 meters until you reach the lake. I am not an expert but many of the planta did not look well maintained. Next to the lake there are some donkeys which you can pet.

This is the best botanical gardens I have been to ever!
The place is beautiful, steeped with variety and beauty.
Contrary to some reviews, this isn't wheelchair or buggy friendly. You need at least 2.5 hours for the walk which is well worth it.
We had our 2 year old toddler (who's very active and well behaved) he was very engaged and only needed support on the steep stairs and a little bit at the end.
For children, the best part is the lake and animals, particularly the peacocks.
We came in the afternoon and had lunch first. The restaurant was amazing, the view, the food and the ambience.
I had the best meal out of my 11 day holiday in Crete here and I would revisit this place in a heartbeat if I could.
Both the trek and the restaurant.
They have plants, trees, herbs and fruits from all over the world and you could easily spend all day here.
Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I recently visited the Botanical Park & Gardens of Crete, and it was truly a delightful experience. The park offers a scenic haven for trekking enthusiasts, with its well-maintained trails and stunning natural surroundings.
The abundance of flowers, plants, and trees was a botanical marvel. Each species is meticulously labeled, providing an educational aspect to the journey. Exploring the diverse flora was not only visually pleasing but also intellectually enriching.
The park also hosts a variety of birds, adding a touch of wildlife to the serene landscape. The overall cleanliness and meticulous upkeep of the park were evident, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere.
A highlight of the visit was the on-site restaurant, where I indulged in some local culinary delights. The honey and other products available for purchase were a testament to the rich local offerings. I HIGHLY (!) recommend buying some; you won't be disappointed.
The culinary experience extended to the restaurant, where the food surpassed expectations. The Feta, in particular, stood out for its deliciousness. All in all, the Botanical Park & Gardens of Crete is a must-visit for nature enthusiasts, offering a perfect blend of beauty, tranquility, and gastronomic delights.

Very nice restaurant with lots of traditional food.
Nice zoo with donkeys and deer. Not far from Chania .
Plenty of parking spots there for free . Park is 7€ per adult. Would go there again.
Marathi Beach, located just 17 km from Chania town, is a picturesque coastal area with two stunning sandy beaches separated by a charming small port. The beaches are well-organized and offer shallow waters, making it an ideal destination for families with young children. Additionally, the beach is popular among locals and visitors alike due to its crystal-clear waters and protection from strong winds. Marathi Beach also boasts traditional taverns serving local delicacies and beach bars where visitors can enjoy refreshing drinks.
Our favourite beach in West Crete! For a young family this beach is just perfect. Small, quiet and spotlessly clean. The water is shallow, almost no waves except for small ripples caused by passing ships and protected from the wind. Lovely view of the mountains too. We enjoyed sitting at the end of the bay as it has free parking steps away from your spot on the beach and a wonderful family run beach side restaurant with great food and service. Beach even has a mascot goose who swims in the sea. Our toddler spent hours playing on the sand, searching for pebbles in the surf and swimming in the calm warm sea. Arrive by around 11am to make sure you have a sun bed as it starts to get busy from around then. €8 for 2 sun beds and umbrella, €3 for an extra sun bed. Look forward to returning again in the future.

A good beach overall, it has a shower and a changing room. There are multiple cafes at the beach and this one is certainly among popular ones. It is a pretty small beach but it was not crowded in the evening. There are also a bunch of small boats parked along the pier - it did not make the water dirty but I think it contributes to the water condition. Swimming there was fine - no big waves or big wind. This is not the type of a beach that is worth a long drive but if you are close by then it’s a descent beach

This is a very nice beach and has many taverns and restaurant’s to choose from, and a nice little beach cafe in the harbour.
It is possible to rent standup paddle boards, kayaks, pedal boats and motor boats very easily from a vendor on the beach, and there are other options for motor boats etc. along the roadside.
It can get very busy here at weekends as it’s very popular!

Be aware, if you wanna have a relaxed day I suggest you go in the middle of the week (don’t go on weekends you ll be sorry) , early morning (8am) because it’s absolutely full of families with kids and very aglomerated, so keep that in mind.

Amazing beach, specially if you have kids. Water is clear, clean and calm.
There is a rental place where you can rent a pedal boat with a slide for €30/hour. Kids loved it and they said it was the highlight of our holidays

We loved it so much that we wen there twice in our 1 week stay in Chania. It is one of best beaches in Chania. Prices is affordable too. 8 euros for a set of umbrella with 2 beds and small restaurants around the beach offer good food with normal prices. There is a paid parking area but I recommend not to use it because there is enough space around the beach to park safely and free then walk 100-50 meters to the beach.

Our family has come here every time we are in Greece for longer than I’ve been alive (the last three generations) and we can’t get enough of it. The water is very calm making it enjoyable to go for long swims that are relaxing. The view is stunning, food is amazing, and the only downside is how busy it is. As the years have gone on the beach has continuously gotten busier, and now it feels more developed than ever. It has still maintained its charm though, and it’s best if you can get there early in the morning or later in the afternoon/evening because it’s not quite as hot, and there are less people so it’s easier to get a chair. It’s also nice that they have 2 chairs and an umbrella for 8 euros. Highly recommended if you are close to Chania!

A lovely little beach not far from Chania. Very cozy, with beach chairs and umbrellas for rent (9€ for two chairs, a table and an umbrella). The water is shallow and very protected from the open, so perhaps a bit warmer than anywhere else. A couple of restaurants and a small change room made everything perfect. There is free parking if you keep driving down toward the beach.

restaurant/snack bar - they did us an early lunch
before they were really open, as we had to get to
the airport. We arrived early before a flight home (it
is only 10 mins from the airport) and it was empty but
I have been told that it gets very busy on a weekend
with locals - it can be a good beach when it is windy
due to it facing the other direction to most of the
beaches in the area - it didn't matter to us though as
when we visited it was very calm and the sea was
like glass. There is a handy shower and we spent a
pleasant couple of hours here. We parked right
next to the beach for free - continue to drive across
the harbour wall and park up near the restaurant.
You will need to pay a few euros if it is busy and you
have to park in one of the car parks a bit further
away from the beach. The only thing stopping it
being 5 stars are the flies, there did seem to be
quite a lot and they are annoying when you are
trying to sunbathe and they keep landing on you! It
is only a few minutes from the other beach, Loutraki,
so swapping between the two would be easy. Sadly,
we didn't have time to explore both.

Although a bit crowded during weekends of September, I loved the beach because of crystal clear and always calm water, stunning view of mountains and nice restaurants. The beach is great for paddleboarding (SUP) because of the beautiful cost and nearby island you may want to explore, SUP rental is available. Of you feel like beautiful organized beach with all services, this is the place for you and your kids.
Seitan Limania is a remote sandy beach located in Cape Akrotiri, about 20km east of Chania town on the island of Crete. It is surrounded by rock formations and nestled in a wild area, making it unique and beautiful. Despite not being as wide as Elafonisi or exotic like Balos, Seitan Limania's striking blue shades of the sea attract many visitors.
Small but amazing hidden beach. Loved it. Had an amazing time there. In peak Summer, it might get crazy busy with a lot of tourists. Remember three things going there.
1 - the drive there is by a sneaky road, so be prepared to drive carefully. Its not crazy, you can do it.
2 - you need to hike down from the parking to the beach, so NO sandals please for the hike. Hike is not too extreme, so dont worry. Just be prepared
3 - Go in the first half of the day, as during second half the sun starts hiding off of the cliffs

Such an Amazing beach between the mountains...incredible views great place. It's a bit hard to get down and up there ( kind of climbing) so be prepared...
It's even suitable for sporting people, u can climb and jump in the water.
Ayham Akesh — Google review
One of the most beautiful beaches in this area! Much more worth it than Elafonisi! There's parking, but you need to descend on a pretty narrow path down the mountain to get to the beach. We did it in flip flops with a 7y old in about 10-15 minutes. Ascend is easier! The beach is narrow, but not too crowded. Bring your own umbrella because there is some shade up until 11 am. Water is crystal clear and cold enough so you can chill on a hot day like ours - 26.07.23 - 42 deg C.
Highly recommend arriving early, until 10 am so you can enjoy the almost empty beach.
Well worth the trip, descent and ascent!

Breathtaking views.
Prepare for a dangerous hike, definitely not for beginners. Don’t go alone. However, it was just 15-20 min.
The turquoise water and experience was worth it…

Beautiful beach! 💙 Worth the trek down there but it’s quite scary as it’s not really steps.. more like climbing down rocks on a cliff edge to get to the bottom, take good shoes.
Stacy Straub — Google review
Extremely crowded on a very small beach. I recommend visiting early in the morning or at sunset. View is absolutely amazing. Road is not so bad as others said, but still with small children or elder is not recommended. Is a short 15 min descending in the cliffs and definitely not with Beach slippers. Don’t carry on with you scuba diving equipment because water is not so clear

One of my favorite beaches on Crete. It's possible to jump from cliff. Water is deep but rocks are sharp. I recommend swimming shoes for more pleasant climbing. Take potato chips for goats - they love it. Snorkeling is also pleasant there due to colorful fishes.
Bartek N — Google review
Picturesque beach location, only available by boat or hike! Not strenuous, maybe half a mile, but very very rocky & with a lot of food traffic can get busy going up & down. Not Ada accessible. It was worth it for this view & beach experience! Billy Goats will approach you, not harmful. Once down there it’s just breathtaking.
Kara Galvan — Google review
Quite nice little pebbles beach with entertaining goats 🐐Worth a visit despite the climb (wear proper shoes!) and the clever but stubborn goats, which will harass you and search your bags for food. It’s probably best to bring no food at all and enjoy the show put up by the goats and the other tourists. 😂
Diego Canciani — Google review
Amazing beach ,clear blue water and some goats. The goats will steal your food 😁, please be kind to them and keep your bags closed and give them some bread when you leave the beach. Don't forget to leave your trash with you. The access to the beach is made by rocky pat. Advice: use sneakers to do this pat.
Diana Silva — Google review
Secluded, interesting beach. It is perfect for cliff jumping. Not interesting for snorkeling, even though the waters are crystal, there is nothing to see underwater. The pathway to it is very steep and the way back is hard in the heat. The parking is free. Be careful with the goats, they are indeed eating everything and will go through your stuff, bags and all.
Petko Dimitrov — Google review
It feels like driving to the end of the world, a sharp serpentine and a parking lot and the end. A very steep and adventurous climb down to the beach. Please: No flip-flops! Very fantastic blue or better turquoise water! But little bit crowded.
Dirk Voelker — Google review
I think pictures can't portrait the beauty of this beach! Totally worth the small hike to get to the beach! However, I suggest use a good pair of sneakers because you will walk through many rocks. Plus, goats are super friendly and hungry! 😋

Extremely beautiful cave with a 10 minute hike down from the parking spot. Be aware of the goats they WILL eat anything you bring down. Overall cool vibe an beautiful water also perfect for cliff diving 👌🏼
Jakob — Google review
Lovely small hidden beach, no goats this time. Such a beauty spot! But I am not joking when I say it's a fight to get to. The roads are narrow and scary. You need good footwear and knees of steel. But once you get to the bottom you see the most beautiful rocky beach with clear blue waters. A true gem.
Holly Preece — Google review
I was literally out for a morning ride to find something to do. I just got to the island and didn't want to waste one minute. I stumbled on this 💎 GEM. It may be well known by locals, but I absolutely loved it. Don't wear flip-flops. The hike is very technical however, very doable. The age range while I was there about 10 to mid 60's just take your time and watch your step it's about a 10 to 15 minute walk straight down a gully.
Clothes were optional... one last but very important fact the goats are very aggressive to eat anything you have, including books. Bring something that you can secure all of your stuff and don't leave it unattended when you go in the water.
LAUS DEO — Google review
Must visit beach! To get there is pretty easy as the road is well maintained. I recommend be there around 8:30-9:00 as parking lot is small. We went around this hour and there were plenty of free places. The hike down is not that scary and difficult as well. Do not wear flip flops, watch your steps and you’ll be fine. Take snacks and water with you. Goats on the beach are very friendly and will eat your food unless you close your bags/backpacks. So if you plan to socialise with them bring some extra food. You can cliff jump which we did. Take water shoes with you as the rocks are pretty painful to stand on. Since the beach is tiny expect it to get very crowded in the afternoon.
Диана Перехрест — Google review
Surreal experience. Beautiful private swimming cove that’s pretty hard to access. The drive in has extreme winding roads and after you park you have to hike down an extremely steep and rocky path. Better not wear flip flops there are no safety railings.
If you complete the challenge you will be rewarded with a beautiful swimming beach with cliffs for cliff jumping and for the goats.
The goats are good aggressive so keep your food away from them.
Andrew Lian — Google review
Beautiful spot, the climb/descend can be challenging for elders or less mobile people but it is well worth the challenge. Beautiful views and swimming spot, we could even swim on the 29th of December.

One of a kind beach to visit in Crete.
Absolutely spectacular view from the top to the torquoise water deep down in the gorge. It was a spontaneous visit so we came with our regular slippers and were afraid we wouldn't be able to climb down the path, but it was fine to go with any kind of shoes, however, if you plan to go there, rather wear hiking or snorkeling shoes for stability. The beach has goats that feel absolutely free to chill there and interact with the visitors, if you wish to feed them, please do not use human snacks and fast food which we saw the majority did, buy some carrots, apples or cucumbers instead. Absolute must visit place!

Seitan limania, Greece
I'll never travel to Athens without this trip planner again
Chania's Old Venetian Port district is a popular tourist destination for visitors to Greece, with its restored lighthouse and beautiful Venetian-style homes in the Topanas neighborhood. The district is also home to a number of shops and eateries, as well as the Firkas Fortress, built in 1250 to ward off Turkish invasion.
Beautiful place in chania, a must visit!
Great for walking, cafes are nice there.
You can easily spend your day around… and also you can enjoy the fresh air and the great food
Ala' Bal'awi — Google review
If you're visiting Crete and you've never been before then I suggest you definitely visit Chania, especially the old town where the port is located. You can park 5 minutes away on the outskirts and walk into town if you don't want to pay for parking and that's not to say you can see everything in 5 minutes. You will need at least a full day to get the grasp of most of this beautiful town. The port is absolutely awe inspiring and surrounded by various cafes and restaurants with a few of them offering special seafood dishes which are reasonably priced but not cheap.
If you decide to walk to the lighthouse and have a pram or have trouble walking you will find it tricky because it gets very narrow.
At one point you have the choice of climbing down some building sand or up onto the wall but it is worth the effort. We had a pram and there was a man selling oil paintings, we bought a painting and when he saw us struggling he offered to look after the pram. I think he would have offered without us buying anything as the Greek people are so wonderfully kind.
There's a car park right next to the port and some children will insist on helping you park your car if you use it, they will want a tip for this but it does not pay for parking. My wife thought it did and paid them €10 and she regrets it to this day. Parking is €3.50 for 3 hours but if I remember you can pay for 6 hours. We moved the car after 3 hours and parked just outside the car park for free but it does get busy around mid day.

Amazing day in Chania! The port deserves a 5 star. We had taken amazing photos and enjoyed a cold beer in the taverns nearby. If you get the chance to visit, remember to use sun screen as the sun is very strong.

The old port it was the main entrance to the town in the old ages. Now it is the main attraction of the city, full of bars, restaurants and shops. The view it is really pretty. You can walk around and enjoy the vibrancy of the town. The sunset has the best spot. It is the place

ANA CAROLINA PIUSSI MACHADO — Google review
Normally I would have given three stars, because the view from the ancient sea wall is stunning, especially at night, but there are some downsides that shouldn't be overlooked.
The Venetian port gets overcrowded; there are moments, quite a few actually, when you feel suffocated by the crowds rushing around.
The whole area seems like a tourist trap; many items sold in the shops aren't related to the local culture.
There are plenty of restaurants around, but it's wise to check reviews from other tourists, especially those with three stars or less, to avoid unpleasant surprises. Most shoreline restaurants charge exorbitant prices (I once paid 45 euros for a palm-sized fish), serve frozen and reheated food (particularly seafood), and cleanliness can be an issue (we were shocked to find out we had to walk through a restaurant's kitchen to reach the restroom).
If you're keen on a sea excursion, it's better to head to one of the neighboring cities; most boats docked in the port charge very high prices (over 400 euros for a group trip of 4–5 people).
The port's highlight (the ancient sea wall) is poorly maintained and, in some spots, littered with garbage.
The last, but not the least, of the negative aspects: c'mon, people, please stop subjecting the poor horses to such a torment. There is nothing romantic or noble about strolling around the port in a carriage pulled by horses suffering from hunger, thirst and heat... not to mention the hustle and bustle of crowds, which alone is a significant source of stress for the poor animals.
Positive aspects:
Strolling on the old breakwater towards the lighthouse is really enjoyable. If you're lucky, you might even spot turtles swimming in the clear water.
PS: Be careful not to fall into the water, as some areas, covered with algae, can be very slippery, and the water is deep.
Catalin Hulea — Google review
The port is a very picturesque location and worth a walk from city center bus stops to soak in the scenery and get a bite to eat or shop. Also in the vicinity is the Chania lighthouse which you can get to by walking along a sea wall. The significance of mentioning this is while walking along the wall is a very beautiful photo opportunity of the Port and mountains in the background

Great place to stroll at night (or during the day for that matter) but be aware that this is a very touristic and busy area. It's worth the visit for the nice buildings the very beautiful port and restaurants (a lot of restaurants) but a above all the nice sunsets you can enjoy from the port side. If you would like a nice view of the port itself I would like to recommend to go up to the lighthouse. Also make sure to visit the back alleys for nice little shops with craft works, leather and more...restaurants.

Great shopping and dining options! The Venetian influence is plain to see in the architecture, so different than other Greek isles. We would definitely recommend spending some time just wandering the small streets and enjoying the atmosphere.

Many places to see and places to eat. The port is gorgeous all day long.
We really liked going here for a stroll, dinner, ice cream and a snoop in the shops.
Easy to get to - just jump on the bus if your staying in Agia Marina.

The Old Venetian Port has significant importance to the development and history of Chania. We visited it twice. It is a wonderful place to see and you can envision the ships coming in to the harbour on their way from the east and heading out to Venice and Europe. The Port is filled with restaurants and small shops offering any type of keepsake or souvenir toursist could want. We also went on a lovely carriage ride around the old walls of the city which was also informative. We are so pleased that we did. There are also several boats and a ferry available for trips around Crete area.

This old port is a gorgeous hub for incredible views, food, and shopping. Lots of touristy shops and tons of people, but even if that’s not your thing it’s still worth coming for the beautiful view of the Venetian lighthouse, old buildings and the authentic food. Sitting on a bench by the water is really magical as well.

Beautiful location near the city center. It's full of good places to have something to drink or eat, with specialties from all over the world (although i reccomend to avoid food from your country, especially for Italians and in particular pasta)
The sightseeing is good with a nice view of sea.
There is maybe not too much to do nearby, but it's nonetheless a place to go at least once.

Chania was fantastic with lovely architecture and very relaxed atmosphere. There are a few museums to visit in around the main port. The main attraction for us was just taking a stroll around the port enjoying the picturesque buildings and landscape. We would love to go back and stay there for few days as there was plenty more to do in Chania and surrounding area that you can't do in just one day.
There are plenty of restaurants and cafes around the port and a bit further off the busy tourist areas. We tried a few and all were very good. Even though it was peak tourist time in August we didn't struggle to find a place for our large party of 12 people. Service was very friendly and fast wherever we went.
We drove to Chania and arrived just before 10:30 and were able to use the public car park by the port. By 11 in the morning it got very busy so would recommend an early start if you're visiting. There is the usual traffic for a city so it takes a little bit of patience getting in and out.
Overall great day out and would highly recommend visiting Chania.

Beautiful Venetian port, it looks exactly like Venice. Some houses are not in the exact best condition and they lack repairs but overall it looks great. Absolutely beautiful. I understand why this part of downtown is so popular - it’s stunning, especially at sunset - breathtaking!
Numerous restaurants line the edge of the water. Plenty of room for foot traffic, although I visited near the end of September. I’m sure it’s much more busier during the summer months / tourist season. Any spot along the harbor is a good spot to view the lighthouse and watch the sunset.
Inland of the harbor has many shops and restaurants hidden in every alley and main space.

T he Old Venetian Port in Chania, Crete, is a timeless masterpiece! The charming blend of Venetian, Turkish, and Greek influences creates a picturesque waterfront. Cobblestone streets, vibrant shops, and historic landmarks make every stroll enchanting. Unwind at seaside cafes and soak in the rich history of the lighthouse. A must-visit destination, earning its 5-star rating for its unparalleled beauty and cultural significance.
Tip: Explore the port in the early evening for a magical sunset backdrop, casting warm hues over the Venetian architecture and creating a truly romantic atmosphere.
Fact: The Egyptian Lighthouse at the entrance of the port, built by the Egyptians in the 19th century, stands as a testament to the diverse historical influences that have shaped Chania. It's a captivating piece of maritime history against the backdrop of the Cretan seascape.
Agia Marina Beach, located near Chania, is renowned for its long sandy stretch and family-friendly atmosphere. The beach offers a variety of facilities and accommodations including villas and hotels. Visitors can enjoy clear, transparent waters suitable for children and engage in water sports activities. Additionally, the area boasts numerous taverns and restaurants where guests can savor local cuisine while taking in the beautiful surroundings.
Beautiful beach, the water is clean and warm. This beach have sunloungers and they can be paid for or you could get food in the restaurant on the beach and then they are “free”. I’d say if you are visiting this beach be careful with people who are selling jewellery. Other than that everything else is great.

A very nice place for my tastes, full of accommodation buildings (villas and hotels) full of facilities and optimal conditions for spending holidays. The golden sand does not give you that blue colour of the sea but the sea is clear, transparent and very suitable for children. A very well organised beach where you can find umbrellas and sunbeds for free if you are a customer in the tavern or with a payment up to 6-8 euros

Amazing beach with sand that is not so fine that it sticks everywhere. Crystal clear water, beautiful surroundings and restaurants close by. Sand colored fish that swim around your feet, the small ones might bite if you have a wound and stand still, but it's not really hurtful, just surprising. I think they might be doctor fish known from spas.

Later edit: i have tried the beach next to Gorgona Restaurant. This part of the beach is much more clean, the sand is nice and soft, the restaurant offers good services, Alex is a great host. 4****
The rating for this beach is higher than it should be. Not suitable for kids. The "sand" is mostly gravel, the only good part about this beach is the fact that the waves are small due to its peers and you have a beautiful view to the "goat's island".

The beach is sandy, it doesn’t have many waves, the sunbeds don’t have a price, you need to buy something in the bar, you can get coffee from 2 euro and you can get french fries for 3,5 euros. The water is not very clear because of the sand that goes up when someones walking.
Platanias Beach is a vast sandy stretch located in the charming Platanias village, just 11 km from Chania. It's a popular spot with younger crowds due to its collection of hotels and beach bars. The beach is well-equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas, and water sports facilities. While it can get wavy at times, there are also days with calm waters perfect for swimming and floating around.
Really nice stretch of beach. Many restaurants offer use of sun chairs and umbrellas with any food or drink purchases, so it's easy enough to find a good spot. We stayed at Sonios hotel right along the beach and most of that area was perfect because of all the space. It can get very wavy though depending on the day. During the week we probably had 3-4 days where the water was calm enough to just float around, and they other 3 were a lot more rough so not as good if you aren't the best swimmer.

Paralia Paleochori is a picturesque beach located in an intimate ocean cove. Its shoreline is adorned with vibrant pebbles and colorful cliffs, providing a stunning backdrop for visitors. One of the unique features of this beach is the presence of volcanic steam emanating from beneath the sand, causing it to be hot both day and night. Despite being crowded in places where there are beach bars and sun beds, there are quiet areas at the end of the beach ideal for relaxation.
A wonderful beach with a hot surprise: there is volcanic steam coming up from under the sand, so the beach is hot both day and night. While you can comfortably walk at any time, digging a little bit deeper it’s almost too dangerous as you can burn yourself. A nearby restaurant on the beach is cooking some of their foods in the volcanic fumes. An absolutely outerworldly experience. Also a nice place to anchor your boat.

Big beach with, in theory lot of space. But 3 private places and a lot of noise for this beautiful place. Some little areas are available if you don’t want to pay for a sit.
Easy to park for cars.

Easy access and parking. Super clear water and interesting view. In this particular location sand can be super hot and burn your feet due to underground volcanic activity. There is no sand close to the water, small gravel only. Sundbeds prices are ridiculously high (35 to 60€). A lot of activity are available on this beach (jetski, paddle, big things dragged by a motorboat...) which also means a lot of noise. Definitely not the most beautiful beach of the island.

Nice beach in the south of Milos.
Would only come here if you're spending many days on the island.
Tsigrado Beach is a secluded and picturesque beach nestled amidst towering cliffs, rocky passages, and caverns on the southern side of Milos island. Although challenging to access due to a steep and narrow path with ladders and ropes, the soft white sand and crystal-clear water make it a worthwhile sight. Tsigrado beach lacks organized amenities, so visitors should bring their own supplies for an enjoyable experience.
Beautiful beach! Hard to enter: look at the picture. You need to climb the latter up and down! When you arrive at the beach it’s amazing! It’s isolated by the cliffs on the sides and the small cave makes a fantastic place to swim and have fun.
The beach is small, but it’s perfect out of season when there is not that many tourists!

Stunning beach but difficult to access.
You need to use two massive ladders and rope to climb down. I’m scared of heights but could go down easily. Do not go with kids and I recommend to have good shoes or no shoes. We left our flip flops behind the time to experience this small adventure.

Beautiful hidden away beach. The ladders are definitely a bit scary at first, but they are well worth the trouble! It is doable in flip flops but I would definitely recommend wearing sneakers. When you get down to the beach be sure to swim out to the tucked away caves on both sides.

Great cove to visit with a tricky decent into it. There is free parking at the top and then you climb down two ladders to reach the beach. Shoes advisable for the climb and pack light, as the rocks you have to travel between are tight.
Highly recommend getting there early in the morning. (We got there at 9am and the beach already had a few people on it). Beach has limited space and a lot of people arrive around 11am, including boats that drop off tourists.
Clear waters with a couple of caves you can explore. The sea floor is a mixture of large rocks and sand. Sea shoes recommended. Half of the cove is in the shade for the first half of the morning.
Nathan Attenborough — Google review
Overrated. Okay, the ladder experience is fun but can become scary for some people. After that, you'd expect a great beach and yet you get dry seaweed a bit everywhere, just a few meters of sand, and not much space. Maybe by boat it can be better - but go check firopotamos instead.

Getting down to the beach on foot is challenging. There are two staircases and a rope. It is steep, rocky and slippery. The steps on the stairs are big.
But very worthwhile when you get down! The beach is small and mostly rocky. There are beautiful caves and lovely snorkelling spots.

Great little beach. Worth getting there by boat as opposed to car. If you drive/walk there you enter the beach via a ladder. The actual sand part of the beach is pretty small.
There's lots of shallow, crystal clear water. Great for swimming especially if the wind is blowing. Relatively protected beach.
Definitely less boats than kleftiko. I think there were only 2 other small boats there when we were.

This beach was amazing. My group ended up going back several times during our stay in Milos. Such a fun adventure to climb down ladders on a cliff to reach a beautiful beach. The beach area itself is fairly small, every time we went we didn’t have trouble getting an area to lay down at and leave our things, the water here felt so refreshing and was such a beautiful color. Highly recommend checking this beach out if you can!
Luke McNeal — Google review
Not a beach you go for their safety rating but that’s all part of the adventure, there’s a couple of steep ladders down into a deep cove beach, some nice caves, very rocky, best to get there earlier in the day as it looses sun later on

I recommend wearing shoes tied to the foot to go down and up.
Carla Fernández — Google review
If you are somewhat in shape, it's a must!! Would avoid with kids or older people. We had to wait for 10+ people to come up one by one for us to go down, but once the "traffic" passes, it's basically going down a ladder. Make sure to watch where you put your feet and you're good to go. Stunning view for snorkeling place, calm water. Not lots of place to lay down so less crowds. Would go back and stay longer😁
tiffany leonard — Google review
If you want to access the beach, it's at your own risk because you gotta go down an old ladder.
The final destination is a private small beach to swim, not much space to lay down.
Beautiful view regardless.
Janessa Mari Oriel — Google review
Beautiful small beach, a little difficult to get to if you’re not able to climb a ladder etc, much easier to get back up vs get down there. there’s very little beach available to lay on but the water was beautiful and relatively calm and had a lovely pocket of sunshine and a nice breeze. Definitely toasty
Christina Tran (Tiinadear) — Google review
Beach accessible by going down the ladder. When we arrived there was a queue to get down. There is set of two ladders. Pretty tricky to get down. I'd recommend proper footwear as it is easy to fall with flip flops on. Once down there is pretty, small beach. Lovely place, can get crowded though.
Marta Barczak — Google review
Beautiful isolated beach.
Be warned that the descent down the cliffs via an old wooden ladder is not for the faint hearted!
During peak season it get quite backed up, due to people both trying to come down and go back up the single file ladders at once.
Joshua Bayly — Google review
It is not that hard to go down, go with comfortable shoes because you’re gonna have to go down two very sketchy stairs and the beach is very very small and crowded. You also have to wait to go up or down because there is only one way of stairs so it takes some time if there’s people. I liked it more when I saw it from above than when I went down. It is very pretty but I honestly liked other beaches more than this one. I recommend to go to fyriplaka which is next to this one and is bigger and with a nicer view and the most crystal water I’ve ever seen

Milos 848 00, Greece
I'll never travel to Athens without this trip planner again
Popular for swimming & snorkeling, this beach offers shallow waters, volcanic cliffs & a snack bar.
Very nice beach with umbrellas and chairs…30 euro for two….about what you would pay everywhere else. Enjoyed the beach and the water is shallow. Will definitely visit again! Parking is not as easy in peak times . Going down is fine going up you get to enjoy a typical hot sun in Greece.
Steve Loukanaris — Google review
Some people said that it was the most beautiful beach in Milos, and though it was magnificent, I just found other beaches to be better. But definitely a must visit in Milos
Dimi Ntarl — Google review
One of the best beaches in Milos. Easy drive, good parking and not organised.

Really nice beach especially during the sunset is very romantic. The water is very clean but is possible to find a lot of people here.anyway the beach deserve the visit. It is mandatory.

Milos was my favourite island on all Greece and this beach is amazing.
A quiet beach to have some nice time with a beautiful landscape.
Please visit this place, it is a must on the island.
I recommend you to go early because the good spots to park your vehicle will be taken ... and there is a long walk to the beach tho. But it is definitely worth it.
There is not WC tho. Be prepared.

A southern Milos gem. Keeps the sun till half hour before sunset. Water temperature moderate. The loud music from the bar not a plus.
George Zed — Google review
Our favorite beach. You can walk way out and lots of sand. Plenty of privacy
Mark Huber — Google review
Easily my favorite beach we visited in Milos.
Meghan Lassiter — Google review
By far the best beach in Milos.
Clear waters, incredible scenery which reminds Ionian islands in Greece and a big beach split into two sides.
If you want to find a set of sunbeds, be sure to get there early otherwise you will not find any.
Kleftiko, a renowned tourist attraction in Milos and Greece, features striking white rock formations rising from the sea. Although it's not technically a beach, many boats tour the area to explore its sea caves and snorkeling spots. The crystal clear turquoise waters are perfect for swimming and snorkeling amidst the dramatic mountainscapes. This popular destination draws visitors from all over seeking an unforgettable experience.
Wonderful place to swim and the water was super clean! You can see the bottom of the floor and there’s some fish, but not too many. We really enjoyed this swimming spot and going through the pirate caves!
Make sure to get there early as boats and swimmers start to make the place busy!
Mariko Pond — Google review
Incredible place. Definitely worth hiring your own boat and going early. Perfect for swimming because it's so shallow, clear and protected.
By about 10-11, there were big tour boats coming in and asking the other boats to move out of their way. We left after that to another beach.
Before the big boats came in, the cove was one of the best places we've been to on Milos.
Zack Letinic — Google review
This is just an incredible place! Crystal clear waters in a secluded cove with plenty of caves to explore if you need to get out of the sun for a minute. Ideal place to swim, snorkel, or just relax on a boat. Absolutely breathtaking!
Fabrizio Garcia — Google review
Undoubtedly, this is the place to be on Milos Island. Everybody goes there. We had the privilege of spending a night there on our own boat, anchored in front of one of the caves that drop from the dramatic mountains. The water is as perfect as it can get, absolutely turquoise blue. You can swim or snorkel between the rocks and caves. One of the greatest places I’ve ever seen on this planet
Markus De — Google review
One of the most amazing places to be in milos. Built from volcanic rocks and only accessible with boat. Crystal clear waters and maybe one of the best swims you could have around the island! Totally worth visiting via daily cruises the island offers...

Amazing swim spot. only accessible by boat. Crystal clear water. Pretty remote, but one of the best beaches to see and swim around.

Took a tour by boat, and took us to the bay where we were able to swim around the bay, through some caves and relax on sone rocks. The scenery is beautiful, with these incredible rock formations everywhere you look; crystal clear waters.
It was quite busy with lots of other tour boats anchored. Still worth it.

Gorgeous!
Unique!
Went there by boat Zephyros from the beach Agia Kyriaki (30€ per person), 4 hours so we had enough time to swim and enjoy Kleftiko
milan brkljac — Google review
Although the obvious popular choice is to go on a boat to the bay, the hike is as good if not better of a choice. At just over a mile, the walk down gives you amazing views of the rocks and water. The bay itself is beyond beautiful and swimming through the arches is one of the coolest experiences you can ever experience. You must go here if you are on Milos.

Beach only accessible by boat. Beautiful. Color of the water is great, transparent, can see the ground. Well worth it. Water is cold (May) but worth a dip. Stayed in area to the side of main beach with less boats, it can get pretty crowded. Bring some food and drinks and chill 👍 would go back
Felipe Borges — Google review
Great place for snorkeling, but you need to be careful, when there are too many tourist boats around.
The later you will get there the harder it is to find a good spot for your boat. Best thing would be to find a local skipper.

Took a boat trip to see Kleftiko.
A whole day sailing the Coast, with an amazing captain.
The weather wad perfect.
Almost no Windows and a lot of sun.

Potentially the most beautiful water on earth. Only accessible by boat for the most part. Very fun to go explore water caves by small boat. Water is crystal clear with beautiful small fish. A must see paradise in Greece. Make sure to bring a swimsuit

Incredible place and excellent for snorkelling. There is no beach as such, just a few rocky spots. Otherwise the point is to swim all around the caves!
Laura Porro — Google review
Wonderful place for a swim in a beautiful scenario. Only accessible via boat you need to choose one or many tours available in Milos. With a day tour we stayed there for more than a hour and it was great!
Sarakiniko Beach on the island of Milos is a stunning natural wonder with its moonlike white landscape, clear waters, and unique rock formations. The smooth white rocks create a narrow inlet with a small beach at the end, perfect for safe swimming and snorkeling. Nearby, the remains of a shipwreck offer another great spot for snorkeling. The surrounding white volcanic rock has been shaped by wind over time, creating fjord-like crags with pools and caves to explore.
This is one of the craziest places in earth, such an amazing beach, but little to no sand at all. The smooth white rocks make you feel like you're on the moon, and the heat will make you want to jump from the cliffs into the water below. Which is what most people do, into the deep blue water from various heights. There are many places to casually walk into the water and a few shallow inlets to sit down and relax in the water. Best beach on Milos.
Gordon Ryan — Google review
Most amazing beach! A lot of the reason why people visit Milos, gets very crowded peak season, if you wanna beats the crowds best to get there early in the morning, great place for cliff jumping too. Never been to such an amazing beach, there are also boat tours that include this spot but it’s easy enough to drive down and take a dip or a cliff jump, I did see some dogs there too but I wouldn’t recommend it might be too hot for their little paws.
Rhys Walker — Google review
Very unique place, it looks amazing!
Careful, It's not a "beach" place to sit all day.
The Rocks and generally this place looks like you're on a different planet. It's definitely a must when visiting the Island.
Daniela Dounetas — Google review
Absolutely loved this place! The scenery was breathtaking, felt like walking on the moon. It was packed but once you get past that and just enjoy the scenery and swimming, it’s awesome. Loved cliff jumping in to the water in 40 degrees heat. Had the best time. Definitely recommend coming here!
Ella — Google review
Unique landscape created by volcanic irruptions thousands of years ago; definitely worth visiting for the experience and the amazing pictures you’ll be able to take. From a beach point of view, don’t be disappointed when you realize that this is a small beach, that gets very busy ! Not great from a swimming point of view, but still top on the to do list. I’d also advise against visiting with children as it can be dangerous, if not taking precautions ( slippery rocks, hard to access and rocky beach ).
Elisabeth — Google review
It's called the moon beach, because of the smooth like floor. Its good for romantic pictures, a small accessible beach for kids, and cliff jumping for adventurous people like me 😃. There is a lot of things to do there so try to spend not less than 2 hours there. A must go beach when you are in Milos.
mona afifi — Google review
Super packed with tourists but super cool to see. It is a long walk down and long walk back up but worth it. Some slippery areas of loose rock when walking around and wet rocks when getting into the water so be careful. Had a blast cliff jumping to if you are into that. Easy swims back out.
Bill Sering — Google review
This beach is so pretty, the photos do not disappoint and as others have said it’s not super crowded for sunset. The water on the day we went was too harsh to do any cliff jumping but otherwise lovely moon-like beach with interesting areas like caves and just all the other hilly spots for pics. Dusk or dawn would be perfect for golden hour photos
Christina Tran (Tiinadear) — Google review
I highly recommend driving there in the morning between 6 and 7 am (for sunrise) to get a beautiful view of the ocean and other-wordly rocky landscape. During the day I suggest you go between 9 am - 3 pm, parking can be hard to find depending on time of year. I visited in mid May and so it wasn’t too bad.
Ronan MacGregor — Google review
5 stars does not seem high enough for this place. It is almost like a mars or moon landscape. The water was rough when we were there so didn't swim but there is a spot to wade in. We weren't expecting all of the caves that seemed to go on and on. So much fun
Neil Packman — Google review
The only reason I gave this a 4 is because it's only worth visiting for pictures and maybe jumping off the cliff if you're into that. It's definitely mesmerizing to see the white xolour rocks and makes for a great backdrop in pictures, but other than that, that's all it is. We went at 8am and there was already a few people there. I would suggest going no later than 8 if you want nice photos without anyone in them. By 9am, the parking lot was packed (end of June).
Mike Antoniadis — Google review
Beach is nice but overrated. Way too many people to give it a 5 star review. However, if you walk just a few minutes along you're quickly on your own
Vegard Johnsen — Google review
The must see place in Milos. It's hard to describe but the views and landscape are breathtaking!! Feels like you are on another planet. Take your time and enjoy.
Just be warned that it is uneven terrain so wear good shoes. It is also a decent trek and the white rocks reflect the sun so it can get very hot, so make sure you stay hydrated!! But definitely worth it!!
Nicholas Dounetas — Google review
Such a beautiful place! You have to strategically visit since the winds are rough and make the water unsafe to swim in, plus there’s often a lot of people, but the nature itself is breathtaking and so surreal.

Looks better in person than Instagram! What an amazing adventure to a truly magical spot. Make sure to pack a picnic and remove your trash. Lots to explore on both sides of the swimming area as well as the extensive cave system.
Andrew Lian — Google review
no words, is beautifull! cliff jump spot stays after the first big "pool", keep walking a bit to the other side! you can get off swimming through the little "cave" on the second pic and climbing a bit! Have fun!
Bel Coelho — Google review
This was an interesting place. I usually think of sand at a beach but there really isn't any here. The water & cliffs were beautiful. There is an area where you can walk in. Some people were swimming but it was too cold for me. There were some caves to walk in, but some people have thrown trash there.

Absolute must-do on Milos, evenin May before it's swimming weather. Go as early as you can to beat the crowds.
Such a stunning place for unique photos.
Peter Janney — Google review
Amazing moonscape like you've never seen before.
Quoting our hotel owner: The volcano did a beautiful job!
Go in the morning before 8 or after 6 for the spectacular lighting and also smaller crowds. It really does get crowded after 9.
Also, keep on walking past the beach. The view gets better and better as you go deeper!
Fu SH — Google review
This wonderful spot of Milos Island consists of gray-white volcanic rock formations of many different shapes. It offers a wonderful view and makes you feel like you are walking on the moon. There is a small beach in a sea recess, under the shade of a few small trees. Since the point where you enter the sea from the beach is quite shallow, it is possible to swim by jumping from some safe rocks.
If you're going on a sunny day, take into account that the rocks are hot and there is little shade. You can go early to find a shaded area or take an umbrella with you that will protect you from the sun.
Murat Yıkılmaz — Google review
Not a beach you could spend all day at but the best beach for exploring. Wish I had more time in milos so I could come back at various times during the day and see how the different light changed it. Gorgeous.

Just stunning. So fun watching everybody jump off the cliffs, and jumping in ourselves! Be prepared to walk more than you’d think.
Alix Burkart — Google review
Amazing, stark contrast between rock cliffs and water just has tk be seen. Water beautifully blue and plenty of rock jumping places.
megan anderson — Google review
Such a magnetic looking beach, just a short drive from town. Catching sunrises here is just amazing. The hues of the sky to the moon like terrain.
This beach is appropriate for all ages, there is a shallow part that perfect for kids to play in just right where the caves are. This point is sandy or small pebble beach easy for kids sit in and play with the sand. Further down is for those whom are decent swimmers as the ledges to jump off of vary due to the tide. Of course this is a swim/jump into the water at your own risk.
The water is at least 15 ft + deep so if you jump in, be aware you swimming into the smaller cove to climb up the rock face, which can be slippery.
Overall it’s beautiful day or night. Nighttime will best during a full moon, to have its glow reflect off it terrain.
Also from when I went I did not see any restrooms.

Small, sheltered sand-&-pebble beach with umbrellas, sun loungers & a snack bar.
Hydra is a beautiful island to be but not famous for its beaches. Having said that, this beach was amazing. You can get there by boat (30 minutes. check schedule at Hydra port, 18 euros round trip) Highly suggested to take the 1st boat to the beach (10:30am) to get a nice place to sit (1st row 20 euros for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella. You may also reserve sunbeds but no clue how)and have the chance to enjoy some serenity before crowds arrive. There is a canteen where you can get coffee, refreshments, drinks and snacks. Also, toilets available. Be patient with the service. They are polite if you are respectful of their workload.

In my opinion best beach in Hydra since it doesnt have slippery stones (the island and the beaches are full of them).
I would recommend taking the first or second boat (10.30 or 11.30) in order to be able to find available sunbeds. The boat costs 18 euros and the sunbeds 15 the pair.
There is a beach bar on the beach that offers food, drinks and coffee. The guy with the half shaved head is the best, very kind with the people and very professional.
On 05/08/2023 there was an unfortunate incident (although we got informed that this has happened before) that made us worried. It was the day that PETAR weather system was announced. Passengers tried but couldnt enter the boat of 18.30, beacause of the waves, so we ve waited on the rockery beach, for 1h for a small taxi boat to come and start taking passenges to move them to the boat that was waiting in the sea. As there were high and many waves the climb to the taxi boat and to the passengers' boat was not easy at all and of course risky. I guess that this could have been avoided by taking in mind the weather forecast...

The beach was great and the water clear. The people running the beach are pretty cool too. The ferry service- integrated into the beach experience costs 15€. Really not a bad price considering where they deliver you.
But here’s my issue- I walked there from Hydra Port (an arduous challenge in the midday sun) to the beach, therefore only needing a one way return ticket (7.50€). The outfit insisted I pay the full round trip fare- that I found to be not so cool...

Great beach - very clean and gorgeous snack/drink area - simple menu of salads and sandwiches - some toasted - great frappe coffees and reasonable prices
no duff duff music and lots of sunbeds well spread out across the beach. $15 for 2 beds and umbrella. pebbles to enter the water but once in it is Devine. Mystery of booking sunbeds - we called the phone no advertised on the transfer boat - yes they said to front row beds - when we arrived there’s no booking - it’s still a mystery how to reserve beds but plenty there and enjoyed a very relaxing day - the ferry leaves town harbour in front of the clock tower - €18 pp return - it gets very busy so arrive early if you want a seat - the journey is great hugging the coast line - enjoy

one of the best beaches and most memorable experiences i've had in Hydra. it's the farthest beach by boat but well worth the ride. secluded, all covered in rocks small at the shore and bigger in the water. crisp, clean. had the missfortune to have waves while trying to get back to Hydra with the boat. was quite an experience and don't recommend if you have trouble with boats and wobbling. otherwise the bar is stocked with nice drinks and a few selection of foods. the small staff there is absolutely great.

Water is clean and the natural environment is unforgettable.
Reachable by boat or, which is strongly recommended, on foot. It is a relatively long hike from Hydra town, but you'll see all the different environments on the island.

Great beach, can be reached only by boat from hydra port, and costs 15€.
Due to it being protected by a gulf, the water feels super calm, almost as if you swam in a pool. Very clear, and not too cold.
A bar is there to offer refreshments and some basics, as well as bring sun beds, you d need cash for that.
Most likely you won’t have reception on your phone, so if you want to disconnect, that’s the place to do it.

Quiet, unpretentious, nice bar serving freshly made sandwiches, salads, smoothies, drinks; decent beer and alcohol selection. Surprisingly nice old jazz music at very acceptable volume, no trashy pop. Serene, classy, clean beach. There was even an attendant netting the shoreline for anything grubby in the water just in case. Fyi: Bring a towel, flip flops if you don't like pebbles.

Very nice spot. Unfortunately did not make it to the bar before they closed for the evening. Beach is a bit rocky once your in the water. Good swimming once you make it past the rocks.

A boat trip from the harbour €15 takes you to this lovely pebble beach sun beds are €4 but get there on one of the earlier trips as the beds are limited. The sea shore is shallow to start and ideal for swimming although you will need some suitable footwear as the pebbles become rocky under foot
There is a beach bar serving beer and soft drinks and snacks toasted sandwiches and salads quite reasonably priced
Only down side is that they have no toilet facilities other than the obvious

We hiked up to
Mount Eros from the monastery. The road is marked by a clay color. Good shoes and some physical fitness is required. The view is totally worth it.
Anthony Le — Google review
The hike up to Mount Eros is so rewarding! The views along the way are breathtaking. It's not a popular hike so we were the only ones on the trail. It's well shaded and steep. Stop at the monastery for some water.
N Maharaj — Google review
The hike up Mount Eros is a rewarding experience, but not for the faint of heart. It is doable by most, providing you are sure-footed and not intimidated by a bit of clambering as you near the summit. It is HIGHLY advisable you go early in the morning to avoid the worst of the heat (we left at sunrise to make the most of the cooler temperatures). Depending on your fitness, the amount of time taken will vary; for an unfit Brit with asthma and a heat-intolerant Irishwoman, the round-trip was around 6 hours after moving in short pulses of speed and taking the time to enjoy the scenery and the wildlife encountered along the way. Water is ESSENTIAL on this trip, don't forget it! We took two full hydroflasks and a 1.5L bottle and managed to finish all of it by the time we were back. Food is good too. Apparently you can also purchase water at the Prophet Elias Monastery, though we did not stop there ourselves.
The route to the summit is well sign-posted and it is difficult to get lost. Going from the port and up Votsi/Miaouli Road, the indicators begin at the top of the road to direct you. Along the trip you will see blue and white rectangles painted in view indicating the route and direction you need to go, and similarly coloured crosses that denote incorrect routes. Surfacing for the first chunk of hike is mostly even, cobbles and steps with some rocky or gravelled paths. Take this time to doddle and enjoy the butterflies floating around, the view of the port and the shade of the trees. As you climb higher, eventually you will meet a fork in the path; one, painted in blue and white, will lead to Prophet Elias Monastery. The other, in yellow and black, leads to Saint Eupraxia Holy Convent and the route to the summit of Eros. Follow the yellow and black for the summit. The steps are a little more uneven so watch your step. Once beyond the convent, the rectangles will resume the blue and white colour. The path slopes slightly here before you begin climbing again, and here is where the footing begins to degrade. By the time you are closing in on the summit, you are basically climbing rocks, the best path is indicated by the red colouring of the soil. The route is marked with blue paint on said rocks to keep you on the straight and narrow. You will see the marker of the summit when you're almost at the top. From there, enjoy the view and snap some pics! And be proud of yourself, you just climbed a mountain. On the way back down be VERY careful with footing, it is far easier to slip going down than up - one of us took a tumble and got a lovely scrape down the forearm (did I mention it's also advisable to keep a first-aid kit on hand, just in case?). Fortunately this route is quite quiet, the lack of traffic makes descending much easier.

The highest point on hydra, this hike is not very easy and takes few good hours, make sure you go there enough time before it gets dark. I still would recommend it if you have an extra day in hydra, if you like to hike it’s def worth it since the 360 view from above is incredible! I recommend going with good hiking shoes since it’s rocky and slippery some places. Enjoy and spot Cupid for extra love 💕

Amazing view on the islands. Worth the efforts. I would not recommend to do it with sneakers as some parts of the trail are really slippery.

The way to the top is not an ordinary hiking trail anymore but a rocky path for experienced hikers. With solid shoes and a good condition it's absolutely doable and worth the effort. Just follow the marks. Any colour will do. The view from above is very impressive.

Well worth a climb. The view from the summit is spectacular with some great views over the town and the monastery along the way. The route is clearly marked all the way from the town. Bisti Beach is a serene and picturesque destination located near the wooded Bisti peninsula and Aghios Nikolaos church. Accessible by boat from Hydra, this tranquil pebble beach offers crystal clear waters and ample shade from trees. Visitors can rent sunbeds and enjoy snorkeling in the pristine waters. The beach also features a small bar serving refreshments and food.
Beautiful, not crowded, good snorkeling spot, worth going 30min over the hill to the southern beach for snorkeling as it is even more beautiful by the caves

A lovely pebble beach with plenty of shade from trees and sunbed sets where you can feel at one with nature. Pristine waters and nice for a little snorkel. Best to go on the 10.30 am boat there in peak season to secure a preferred spot.
Regular boat trips from Hydra Port, but you sort of have to make a day of it as the first return trip is at 4 pm - of note if you are time limited.
Reasonable snack bar (fruit or Greek salad, simple toast or sandwich and refreshments, and some beer/wine, but nothing fancy). You can also walk to a church with nice views.

By far the best beach on the island! €15 per person for the boat ride to get there and back, which you can catch from the main port. €15 for 2 sunbeds and umbrella - we stayed there all day! Quiet, clean, crystal clear waters and the forest backdrop. Take some snacks and enjoy!

very lovely beach under the pine trees! One sun bed costs 5 EUR (May, 22). There is a canteen where one can have toasts, greek salad, drinks and beer for reasonable price.

Wonderful quiet beach with crystal clear waters. Transport from the port or Hydra is available (15€, keep your tickets for the return trip included in the price) at specific times (departures every one hour or so from 11:00 to 14:00, return 16:00, 17:30, 18:30) via boat. The beach is a 15 minute ride away and you can rent sunbeds for 15€ a pair. If you are on the island and have a day to spare, definitely pay this beach a visit, it's definitely worth it. Note that due to its location and the tiny island opposite the beach, the wind is not particularly strong compared to other beaches along the coast, so you can enjoy the calm waters regardless of weather. If you visit, I recommend having a lot of water and some snacks with you as you might decide to stay as long as possible.

You can go with the boat (12€ return). There are many sunbeds (5€/sunbed) and you can find one even in high season. There's a little canteen with drinks, sandwiches, salads. Lovely shade from the trees. Last boat leaves from the beach at 18:30.

Yes place is expensive but the best beach for little kids as shallow sloping seabed. Nice sand. Shower and bathrooms and a good covered chilled out restaurant area.
Also great place when the island has a strong northern wind as you are not really affected by it here. Remember to take the tarmaced road from corissa up through kea, as sometimes the GPS takes you off road.. which is a fun adventure if you have a small 4x4, but usual small rental car will struggle.

Great sandy beach with cristal water: with the most amenities on the beach. Booking needed in advance AT THE BEACH (not by phone anymore). Great food choice (beach bar + restaurant). Music on the beach at good level (not too high: can read and sleep with no issue!)
Watersport equipment available on the other part of the beach.
Small issue: the beach bed slide from the frame compare to the other beaches I have done
The Temple of Poseidon, a cultural monument built in the 5th century BCE and located at Cape Sounion, offers stunning views of the sea. The temple was constructed from marble sourced nearby and boasts gleaming white Doric-style columns. Sailors approaching this region could spot the temple's white façade from afar, indicating that they were almost home.
An absolute beautiful site. The drive is gorgeous. We visited at sunset and it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. There is a yummy little restaurant I Def recommend eating at. If you have the chance definitely go see.
Erica Seegrist — Google review
The Temple has a stunning view, and apart from the hugely significant historic value, there is very little too the site. There is also the €10 entrance fee, which i would not describe as value for money. There is a cafe at the site which is friendly and serves food and drinks. But nothing else within walking distance (walking is on main road anyway). I visited the Temple of Poseidon in the morning (apparently the experience is much better at sunset for the views).

The views at sunset are absolutely incredible. The place is not large, maybe a 30 minute leisurely stroll around it for some photos, but it is truly a great sight.
The restaurant nearby would be a nice place to relax and eat, however it closes around when the temple does so you need to be there earlier (something our tour guide did not include).

Beautiful site! Listen to the waves crash into the rocks as you explore. No better location for a temple to the god of the seas! Can get a little crowded but the place is big enough to spread out. Make sure to wander all around, not just at the temple, there's lots to see and hear. Restaurant and gift shop are also right on sight.

the coastal drive and the sunset make the visit to the Temple of Poseidon a complete package!
The cafe has a great setting.
Make sure you get through the gates 30 -45 min before sunset as they will close .

Lovely place although there is no public transportation to get there.
We ended up renting cars at the airport for 45€ each.
Its a nice place for a daily/ semi daily trip, including lunch at the nearby Taverns and a slow drive through the countryside

Awesome place to check out. Make sure to take the scenic route down. If you do not have a car I would recommend a local guide, Instead of a shuttle bus. We booked one through air bnb and it was great!
Also, a heads up, it's $10 to get it but there is also a spot that you can get a great view and pics without having to pay, if you don't feel the need to see it up close. That's where these pics were from.

This is a great touristy stop not too far from Athens. Getting photos at sunset is highly recommended. Do get there before they close because they won't let you in no matter how close to the closing time it is.

The temple has a magnificent View and hugely significant historic Value. There is an entrance of 10 euro which is value for money. There is also a Cafe at the beginning which is friendly, clean and services food and drinks. The best time for visiting is Sunset according to my experience. Great View! Great history!

Stunning, a little busy but we went in October and it was possible to get photos without dozens of people in the foreground.
We bought tickets at the site, they preferred cash for speed as the card machine was a little slow. Queue to get in was a little long but only took ten minutes or so to get to the front.

Must visit if you have the time when staying in Athens! I guess about 40 minutes out of town if no traffic. Not really any crowds, it's easy/fun to walk around and enjoy. Stunning perch looking out over at the sea and the structure is really amazing condition. We also had a delicious lunch down the hill where you could look up and enjoy.

This is a spectacular place.
Well preserved and on top of a hill, overlooking the ocean.
Would be amazing at sunset, which unfortunately we weren't there for.
Well worth the visit!
Nice coffee too at the Cafe.

Can definitely recommend visiting this place by rental car. Nice ride next to the shore for 1-1,5 hour from Athens.
All in all it is just some pilar remains of the Temple of Poseidon and some stone remains of houses and the harbour that used to be there.
Cafe and toilet is also close by.

Stunning views from the top! A must visit if you’re in Greece
It is about an hour or so drive from Athens. The tickets for the site cost around 5 or 10EUR (depends on if you are a student etc.,)
Try and watch the sunset from here, it looks magnificent!

Incredible to experience at sunset. Not only is it beautiful but the ruins are in very good condition. The views around the temple are fantastic! There is a cafe and small shop located just down so you can stop and take in the views. I recommend doing a tour to really appreciate the history behind it!

The trip from Athens to the temple is about an hour and a half car ride. The trip itself is on winding, beautiful, sea side roads. So, the trip itself is lovely. The temple of Poseidon is not as popular as the Acropolis, so you will basically have it to yourself. The views from the top of the hill are stunning. It’s worth the drive to see the view and to get photos that you’ll never forget.

Temple was amazing the went to was rubbish would sold that. Bus tour was no good. Because of protests we had to catch a train and then walk 5ks to catch the bus at the apocalypse it were basically having to run everywhere and then was told to hurry up because we're late. And on the evening tour we only had an hour and 20 minutes at the site so not enough time to see anything
They made it sound like you went too two adventures, but it was only one we had to pay again when we got there be careful of the fine print and then the bus was late getting back and we missed our dinner reservation because of traffic which they should have allowed for was told to hurry up and start running by the Young tour guide and I'm a man In my 50s I asked about a toilet was you told I should have gone before I got there! how rude and on the audio tour she questioned us on the way home like a bunch of five-year-olds my advice is make your own way there and you'll love it.

I highly recommend the temple of Poseidon. It is a beautiful and amazing site. The ruins still have some pillars standing and they are beautiful. The location is also great as you can easily spot it from afar.
You will need to pay the ticket to the archeological site.
There are toilets nearby as well as a restaurant.
The temple of Athena is also nearby.

We visited the Temple just before sunset so that we could watch the sun go down over the Agean and islands. This was a truly magical experience with the sky turning from colour to colour and becoming ever more beautiful as the sun descended. The temple itself is a wonder to see, both on a approach and when close up. It gets busy here but there is plenty of space to spread out on the cliff side with quite a few benches to be found for a good view of the sunset. It is obvious why the ancients decided to build here - it's one of those places you'll never forget.
Do yourself a favour and book a taxi excursion which are very affordable and similarly priced to the coach tours. We did and were grateful as we drove away whilst everyone else was queuing for coaches.

Beautiful place. We did not spend much time there as there is not much to see besides the temple itself and nice scenery. You can walk around there though. The drive to Athens to here was beautiful, the nature is absolutely gorgeous

We visited in October and glad that we had time to drive from Rafina. The drive was around 1 hour. The entrance fee was €10. The temple is magnificent both from afar and when we went closer. The view of the surrounding area was breath taking. We took our time walking around and taking photos. There is a cafe and museum on site. We went to visit the beaches outside the ruins after our visit.
Catherine Hunt — Google review
One of the most beautiful places to enjoy a sunset in Greece, if not the whole of Europe!
The site closes permanently for the day right after the sunset, last possible entry being around 30 minutes before the sun sets itself.
Coming in march, all the flowers around were blooming and all the colors were adding a lot to the beauty of the place.
Although not perfectly preserved the Temple of Poseidon is really beautiful even in the state it is in.
Keep in mind that the sunset here draws a lot of tourists, including busses and private tours, so at times it can get a little busy, still not crowded and manageable.
There are on site free toilets and a restaurant with a souvenir shop, the prices being a bit high considering the touristic location.
Definitely a must see while around the Athens area!

We took the coastal drive from athens. The drive and the views were amazing. Parking could be a bit of a problem here, so plan ahead. The climb to the site and the views were amazing. When there, explore the area around the sea shore. There is a nice restaurant at the site as well.

Went here for the sunset tour with Ammonexpress. Awesome experience seeing the Poseidon Temple in various lighting as the sun slowly sets below the Aegean Horizon. The experience was better with the history of the temple explained by our knowledgeable tour guide.

Fascinating history and a beautiful temple. The surrounding coastal region is gorgeous. I recommend visiting right before sunset so you can watch the sun go down just beyond the islands.
Paralia Souniou is a small, clean beach located beneath the Poseidon temple. The beach offers clear and shallow waters, making it suitable for families with children. Visitors can relax on sunbeds and under umbrellas provided by the nearby Aegeon hotel. There are also two taverns serving mainly fish dishes and a bar at the hotel. The beach provides stunning views, especially during sunset when the sun sets behind the Temple of Poseidon.
You can take a bus from Athens which will drop you off at the entrance of the Poseidon temple. This takes 2 hours. Took the bus at 10:30am and arrived around 12:30. I then walked down to this beach (a path off the highway through shrubland - not paved but not steep and fairly easy to navigate), which is just about 15 minutes walk from the temple. The beach has a free section but most of it is privatised and run by the Aegeon beach hotel. As I am a single traveller, the hotel staff was kind enough to let me rent just one single sun lounger for 20 euros, which is not exorbitant at all given the setting and quality of the service/ furnishings. The water is very clean and shallow here, saw quite a lot of fish! There is something magical about swimming here and you look up from the water to the Temple of Poseidon at the top of the hill. Before sunset I climbed back up to the Temple site (last admittance 20mins before sunset, say 8pm in June to be safe), then watched the sunset from the Temple. Bus back to Athens at 8:50pm. It was a perfect Saturday.

Nice beach, sunbeds and beach bar are available. The sea is clean and calm here. It can get a bit crowded and the sunbeds are on the expensive side. Renting 2 sunbeds and umbrella cost 15€. The view is really nice!

Differently from this bad reviews, the place is really amazing. The price is good (come in Puglia too see how are exmpensive the price on the beach😅), and the services that this place offer, its all good. The sea is like a Pool, WC is clean, the sunbeds are comfortable, the food of restaurant is very delicious and the personal are so professional and nice. The view on the Temple of Poseidon is the Top of the top.

It's a small, beautiful bay. There is a narrow stretch of free beach. The larger section is chargeable. Two loungers cost between 20-40 euros and can be booked via the "Plazz" app. If you want to save yourself the uncomfortable walk, you should navigate directly to the free parking lot at the "Aegeon Beach Hotel".

I had one time the chance to visit this famous beach. We can consider it as the main beach at "Sounio" cause the Ancient Temple of "Poseidon" little away on the hill. The view was great and that itself make the beach better. It contains great scenery.
As beach, the water was shallow with sand but few pebbles, rocks which can be annoying sometimes. The colour of water nothing crazy. Seemed clean at the time I visit the beach and hope still be the same.
Overall good beach but nothing too impressive. "Sounio" has better beaches than this one. I guess you go in this beach to combined the Temple with the sea.
lanakias1 — Google review
A nice, quiet cove under the Poseidon temple. You can get there on foot from the temple or by car from the main street. The tavernas have good service, fresh fish at good prices, are clean and literally sit on the sea. While waiting to be served, our 4-year-old swam in the waters before us.
Half the cove is free and occupied by the tavernas while the other half is part of an organized beach. The former has rocks while the latter is sandy, so there's something for everyone.

This is a small, nice and clean beach under the Poseidon temple. With clear and mostly shallow water suitable for kids. It is organized and you can find sun beds and umbrellas provided from the neighboring Aegeon hotel which by the way is a very good option as a getaway from Athens for the weekend. There are two good taverns on the beach serving mainly fish plus the bar from the hotel. The scenery is very beautiful in the afternoon when the sun sets. Lavrio is not far away by car. That’s why this beach is one of my top choices for swimming near Athens. Keep in mind that under normal circumstances the beach gets crowded especially during the weekends

This was to be our first stop off having left Alimos Marina at lunchtime. When we arrived there were lots of yachts trying to find a place to drop anchor in a relatively small area, and here the sea shelves steeply. We ended up using the full scope (55 metres) of the anchor chain and the local pilot said the holding was poor. Notwithstanding this we had a reasonable night's sleep with a GPS alarm set just in case we slipped our mooring.
Once we had dropped anchor we used the dinghy to get ashore and headed for the tavernas. Our first taste of Greek hospitality, a mezza and fresh sea food was ordered - we had a great meal. Excellent food, with lovely views of the Temple.
This is a very tourist rich area, its only a short distance from Athens so there were coaches galore and the temple was flooded with people even after sunset. Surprisingly the tavernas weren't overcrowded. As the sun went down I took a photo of the two offshore islands (one was called Nisida Arkhi) and also a couple of Posiedon's Temple.
Next morning we got up very early to make the transit to Spetses. We passed the uninhabited island of Nisida Agios Georgios, saw some flying fish and the depth instruments packed in was we passed depths of 300+ metres - but that's another story :)

The Sounio beach is just beneath the Temple of Poseidon in a nice bay. The whole bay is visible from the Temple site and while up sweating and exploring the site, it's tempting you to go down and take a swim in that heat.
There's parking around and you have a small free part, and a bigger part of the beach with sunbeds and umbrellas provided.
Water is crystal clear, with great views up to the Temple. There are few tavernas and bars

Really beautiful beach 😍 the coast is sandy, seawater is clean.
This place isn’t crowded ( in the middle of June)
I was missing the bar and coffee shop or tavernas therefore only four stars for me…( this place is so far the supermarket and any possible of buying)
If you want you can get a sunbed as well.

Went there on a mid-sunny May afternoon.
Definitely not overcrowded (maybe due to the time period) but a very nice and picturesque beach!

4 stars just because it lacks of amenities such as bars, umbrellas etc.

Clear water, plenty of tavernas, beach clean and clear, water sports are good value. Small ferry leaves here several times a day for Poros Town and Monastery beach
Flanked by lush greenery, this quaint beach features a small sandy beach & clear turquoise waters.
It's a lovely place. The water is perfectly clear and while snorkelling you can observe many different fishes. There's a lot of natural shade from the trees - it's definitely the most beautiful beach on Poros. Shower, changing room, clean toilets: Best facilities we've had at a beach.
But it's crowded: We were there in June and had to be there early (before 11am) to get the last free set of sunbeds - price was 12€ per set which is normal on Poros. There's not much space to sit without one, so in the end you will probably have to pay to use this beach. Service staff is friendly, although we didn't eat or drink something.

Nice little beach with catch name. The waters look nice from above, but when you get in, you'll realize they are pretty muddy. OK for 1 time but it wouldn't be my favorite beach. The beach bar offer some sunbeds but at full season it's very very crowded.

It is a petite cute beach that is excellent for quiet relaxing time. The bay is surrounded by deep vegetation which ensured its privacy. That is how the name came. It is very popular with couples or even people who prefers quiet calm environment. The water is sea green, clear. The sand is a little red to brown but sandy. The bay water is also calm enough, making it a perfect place for holidays and romantic outings. A narrow road surrounds the bay, but there is not much traffic in it. The bay has shower and drinking facilities.

One of the most idyllic beaches in Poros. You can get coffee and sunbeds and enjoy the view. Unfortunately on the day we visited the waves had brought some sort of industrial foam probably from the many yachts that roam on the waters. The sea did still look clean but we did not risk going in. It could have been a single event who knows but the locals told us that the sea is not that clean there due to its geographical location and the yacht season. Still a must see though.

A very good beach, if you're into beach bars that is. It's surrounded by beautiful nature and has plenty of shade even at noon. However the sunbeds occupy most of the space and there is little space for those who wish to sit on their own.

❤ The best little beach on Poros ❤
A short hop and jump from Poros town ( 3.3 km ) you'll find Love Bay. It's a small and very cosy beach that will help you unwind and calm down from the every day hustle and bustle.
Here you will find a few hundered sunbeds with umbrellas, a changing room, his and hers toilets and a fully stocked bar serving sandwiches, soft drinks, ice creams, beers and drinks . And did I mention the very friendly staff 👍👍👍
The bay itself deserves 5 stars. The water is bright green and blue and really fresh. And they play soothing music from the loudspeakers to help you relax🎶

Lake Vouliagmeni, located in the Athenian Riviera, is a scenic natural wonder with thermal mineral water. It is part of the National NATURA 2000 list and home to unique organisms like the Garra Rufa fish known for skin exfoliation. The lake's crystal-clear waters are fed by underground hot springs, offering a constant temperature year-round. Visitors can swim and enjoy the beautiful surrounding scenery.
AMAZING! An absolute must! If you want to escape the city & find the beaches too busy, this is the place for you! Beautiful, natural salt water lake with fish that nibble your dead skin cells! Lake is shallow & deep so great for everyone.
We paid €50 for a double sun lounger bed for the whole day. You can buy singles & there's tables & chairs too. There are toilets, changing rooms & they serve food & beverages.
There are life guards too so you can feel safe.

Wow! do not miss. Of all the attractions outside the center of Athens, this is a must-do attraction, unequivocally. If you come in warm months, don't give up. An amazing lake, clear and with all the best facilities and service.
It is a lake with water at a fairly constant temperature. There are sunbeds, tables and chairs and even some individual double beds on the waterfront (you have to book them in advance). There are small fish in the water that eat the dry skin. At first it tickles like crazy, but you get used to it pretty quickly.
There is enough space for everyone and you don't have to rush and run early in the morning.
The recommended and discounted way to get to the place from the center of Athens is by metro red line and get off at the last stop - Elliniko
From there take a taxi or Uber at a cost of about 12-14 euros and you are there. Don't wait for line 122, it never comes.
In any case, there is a restaurant and a bar where you can order food for a sunbed. The toilets are very clean and there are even private and clean showers, take your clothes and shower there!
Enjoy!

The good - this 2000 year old lake is naturally breathtaking. The natural "fish pedicure" is novel and the water is lovely and warm to swim in.
The not so good - it's a shame that natural beauty like this has been monopolised to the extreme. The food and drink is pricey and lacklustre. The waiting staff ask you to tip them for every drink or meal you purchase.
The bad - there were building works taking place literally right next to many sunbathers that meant you had the loud noise and smell/particles of cutting metal and concrete whilst you're trying to relax. We paid nearly 100 euros for basic entry, a few drinks and snacks so it felt very disappointing - quite a few people left because of it.
We also waiting 45 minutes for a bottle of water that we had to remind the staff 3 times for....

The most exciting thing about this place was the “Dr. fish.” I have never experienced them in the “wild“ before. If you sit on the stairs leading into the water, dozens of not scores of these fish will exfoliate your feet. The lake itself is kind of just a big swimming pool. All the activity takes place at the beach chair end of the lake. Do yourself a favor and pay a little extra to get a cabana or reserve the private area. The staff really isn’t friendly at all. All of them seem to treat the guests as a commodity that had to be dealt with not as a guest that should be treated with kindness and generosity. They did not treat you as though they valued you. This was my experience with all of them and I engaged with at least eight staff members. They were at best neutral and at worst rigid.

A wonderful day out from Athens, we took an Uber which cost around 20 euros. 15 euros entry. First come first serve with the sun beds but plenty available during the week (we went on a Friday). The staff were attentive and the food and drinks were delicious. I couldn’t recommend this place more- it was so relaxing. I saw another review that kids were asked to be quiet and this may be part of the reason why it was so enjoyable

Wow, what a place. As soon as you get there, you can’t help but be blown away by the location. We booked in advance as it does get busy, we went on a Friday in June and it wasn’t too bad. We hired a double bed with curtains and was perfect to keep in the shade. The water was amazing ans the fish nibbling at your feet was a bit strange to start with but you get used to it. The food was great and the cold beers were tasty. Staff were very helpful and offered waiter service to our bed. A great place you can spend the day at, we went the day we were leaving as it’s close to the airport and they had good showers so we could get ready to leave straight from there. Fantastic place and a must visit.

The standard price is 16€ per person (parking included), but since we were there on a public holiday, we paid 19€ per person. The price includes unlimited access to the lake beach area and a sun lounger. Opening hours from 8:00-18:00.
On site it is possible to buy a swimsuit, towel, glasses, etc.
On the territory of the lake there is also a SPA and a restaurant.
After swimming in salt water, you have the opportunity to take a shower! And the water temperature in the lake itself is 22-29 degrees all year round.
A small but very pleasant surprise was the Garra Rufa fish, who happily “worked” on the beauty of our legs 😅 and this is also included in the price!

Interesting place to visit when in Athens. It’s a close public bus ride away and you pass by many of Athens public beaches.
You have to pay to enter, but it’s worth it. There are thousands of carp in the lake that will try and eat dead skin off your feet.
There is food service at the beach chairs and a nice restaurant on site.

Beautiful brackish-water lake with constant temperature year round. The lake has small fish on the outskirts that can give you a pedicure but if you’re more in the lake there’s no fish. The water is beneficial for the skin and the body. Definitely a relaxing place. Try to go early to enjoy. The only problem is food and drink is overpriced there.

Great place to visit. Water was about 21 C in December.
*Note: if you are taking the bus there, make sure to buy a ticket beforehand, since there is no kiosk in Lake Vouliagmeni.

Incredible place! 14€ entrance for students and that was definitely well worth it. So beautiful, very kind and professional staff, SUPER fresh and also so nice with the fish spa haha! The 2h fish spa I got made the 14€ even more worth it👍🏼

Nice place. Very clean. Can get crowded so arrive early. Bring your towels.

Lovely place for a day of relaxation, with a nice swim, sun soaking and quick bites from the bar - fair warning, it can get quite busy despite the tickets for entry, especially after the long bus and metro rides from city centre Athens.
The beach is right across the road as well, definitely worth wandering over!

Lovely place with friendly staff and a beautiful lake.
Food and drinks were tasty and the prices didn't seem too ridiculous (for a British person!).
Everything was also served in lovely biodegradable packaging so bonus marks for that!
The wait staff were attentive and friendly. The facilities were clean and modern and (if the signage is to be believed) ecologically conscious. The lake was pristine and well looked after.

Nice place for relaxing. Small lake, very bright warm water.

Once upon a time natural places like these were accessible to everyone regardless of their financial situation but not anymore... You will need to pay 17 euros per person to get in regardless of the time of day. Please do Greece a favor and do not support places like these. If the entry was a few euros say 1,2, or 3 it would be ok but this place is strictly focused on maximizing profits.

Beatiful atmosphere at a peaceful beach with comfy sunbeds.
Unfortunately, beach towels are not provided, we felt that the food and beverages were a below average for such a place, and I'd recommend booking sunbeds close to the restaurant as after the lifeguard tower the menu becomes minimal (no fresh fruit juices and few coffee options).
Hopefully this feedback will be useful for future improvements. In any case, thankfully the Greek scenery, the Greek sun, and the Greek sea make it up!

I paid 160 euros for a daybed since there were no umbrellas left. You don't even get a towel for 160 euros.
My kids were hungry so we ordered some food and a coffee for me. Coffee came right away. After about an hour and a half wait we decided to leave since the kids were hungry. I paid for the coffee and told the waiter to cancel the order. He didn't even apologize.
It is clearly a management issue. If you want to charge French Riviera prices you better deliver. The service was unacceptable.
The beach is very nice but not worth the money.
Dimi S — Google review
Ill be honest, for what we paid to come in and sit on a day bed, I was disappointed. The staff are nice but it's too expensive for what you are getting. The food and drinks are very expensive and sub par in quality. The restaurant is full of people smoking around those who are eating which is disgusting. I would not come back here, there are more viable options.

I don't usually write bad reviews, but not this time.
I will never recommend this place to anyone.
The next time we went to another beach, closer to Athens, which turned out to be much cheaper and we liked it better.
Two sunbeds and an umbrella cost us €100 here at the beginning of June. On another beach 30 or 35 € with the same comfort sunbeds. At that moment, we thought that for these prices we would at least get some cool experience and chic service. But there was nothing special here.
The food in the restaurant was good, but overpriced. Knowing the prices in Athens, the price tag is too high.
Drinks were ok. About 11€ for a milkshake, while on the other beach it cost us 6€.
It is quite shallow here and you will have to walk for a long time before you stop feeling the bottom under your feet.
But the worst part was the paid parking. Of course, no one warned us in advance. Okay, it's not a problem for us to pay another 15€, but it's just very annoying. This was the first time we didn't even want to leave a tip for service. With that price tag for sunbeds and an umbrella, you could make parking free. This is ridiculous! Even on that other beach it didn't cost us a cent!
Moreover, the parking staff made a mistake and gave us someone else's car! Incredible negligence.

Beautiful setting but sadly overrated and overpriced. Food and drinks below average in quality and again, overpriced
No atmosphere and no towel included in 25 euro per person entrance. Very disappointed .
Beach park with sunbeds & umbrellas, a sports complex & restaurants with ocean views.
Beautiful beach to spend some time, is it a private place, with only 3€ (winter season ) you can enjoy the facilities. An hour drive from Athens by metro and bus.

This place was amazing! The view was absolutely astonishing and the water there was incredibly clean and blue. The sun umbrellas and all the sun beds were amazing. The bed were comfy and gave the very chill vibe. The sand was also very clean and nice. Now, the Cafés were also not the most expensive and the food was pretty good. Overall, the only downside to this place was a very expensive $5 entry fee, however, it is worth it. I had a great time here and I would recommend people to come here and stay.

Very clean beach, entrance fee of 10 euro weekday, weekends 15 euros. Even if it is the end of october , sea was Ok to swim.

We had booked sunbeds beforehand, those for 50€. The price is a little too high for what you get, but if we wouldn't have booked we probably wouldn't have found a place to sit. It was okay overall. We got two sunbeds, one umbrella and one safe that didn't work. The staff didn't fix it either. We also got two water bottles in a bucket of ice, included. That was really good. Also because we had booked before, we got a ride in a mini-golf to the beds.
The food there was actually good, but I did not like the ice cream. It was so bitter.
It was really nice water and there was not too much noise around.
The beach was covered in small stones, not sand. So it hurt when you walked from the beds to the water… I'm not used to it, but it was manageable.

15 euros to access the beach, there is a parking
The entrance is beautiful, spacious
The water🌊 is not deep
Issue to find a spot available around 12-3pm but keep searching you will find🏖️ They even offer a hammam massage there
Make sure you bring your drink and some snacks
Enjoy 🤗

Great place for a beach day! Good connection to public transport, just a short walk from the bus station that connects to the metro. For maximum experience I do recommend booking a spot online so that there is no stressful searching once there. The beach is complete with clean water, showers, safety box right by the sun beds and a nice kiosk close by. The kiosk has really nice prices for the food and is a nice place to buy lunch and refreshments.
David Tanudin — Google review
Very nice beach, however, you have to pay to enter. On weekdays it is 10e, while over the weekend 15e. The sunbeds are included in the price - you find an empty one and place it anywhere.
The water was clean and the beach was long enough for people to have enough space (note: we did not visit in peak season, but in June). There were 2 small bars open offering fairly priced snacks and drinks.
Side note: even though it is close to Athens, the bus taking you here was very crowded which made the entire experience slightly unpleasant. On the way back we did not fit into 2 consequent buses and needed to take a taxi to the first metro line.

Nice beach and good for families
Simple bar or shop available
You can get coffee cold drinks but no cocktails or other Alcoholic drinks rather some rum drinks but nothing special
Prices is 10 for regular and 5 for students and you have to find a sunbed your self

This is an easy trip to take from Athens using the 122 bus. It cost 10 euros for one adult, and 5 euros for those under 18 years old. We were able to find available chairs and an umbrella both times we went, even when it was busy.

Beautiful day at Vouliagmenis. A bit far from the cruise port but we’ll worth it. We took the City Sight Seeing Tour that picks you up right next to the cruise terminal, 2 min walk. Took the Pireus-Athens line. Walked 10 min to the A2 interchange for the Beach and Riviera Line while admiring the Acropolis.
From there it’s a 30~40min drive. Once there the beach entrance is less than 50mts away, next to the Oceanis Restaurant.
It may come as a surprise to many travelers that you need to pay to access the beach, as most places in the area, it’s not public. It’s €10 per adult, €5 per kid over 5yrs old.
Once you get access there is a public section with free blue chairs and umbrellas and a private, serviced section with black sun chairs near the snack shop. The price for a set of 2 chairs, umbrella, little table and security box is €65, but they will give you a credit for the entrance tickets (max. 4: 2 adults, 2 kids) so it’s an extra €35 in the end.
The service and prices from the snack bar are very reasonable. Limited to paninis, boxed salads and bagged chips.
Great day, but I must confess it was a Monday, I might expect for the place to be a lot more busy as the weeks gets along and specially the weekend.

I'll never travel to Athens without this trip planner again
Paralia Aponisos is a picturesque pebble beach located in a small cove, offering sheltered swimming and the option to rent loungers. It is part of an exciting day trip itinerary that includes stops at three stunning locations in the Saronic Gulf. Visitors can explore Agistri Island's charming alleyways, relax on its pristine beaches, and immerse themselves in its natural beauty.
What can I say.. This place has everything. Perfect service, variety of beaches depending on what you like(sand, rocks, deep, shallow). This was definitely my favorite beach/place on the island, and I could easily go there every day if I had more time. 10 euro for 2 regular sunbeds and umbrella, plus 2.5 euro if you wish for wooden sunbeds for each one. On the umbrella you will find a black button so you can call the waiter/tress when you are ready to order. This place is beautiful!!!!!

Great place! Easy to go in the water and enjoy. Service of food is not top notch but it’s nice to drink something cold in the shade. Very recommended beach! To arrive there is only one bus every hour so make sure to check it out if you need public transportation (2euro per ride)

Onw of the best beaches on the island. Although it is a private part - with 5eur entrance, you get access to their 3 beaches, bed, umbrella, which is pretty fine. It also has mini restaurant, and service so it is really good. I recommend it for a whole day relaxation, and there are sightseeings nearby...

One of the most, if not the most, beautiful beaches on Agistri. A hidden gem, and one of the farthest from the port, the crystal clear waters, and the soft sand make it an absolute must to visit. You can enjoy this beach for free, or you can opt to pay 5 euros for a sunbed and wonderful and friendly services of all sorts of amenities (for extra fees).

Heaven!!!! We took a bus from Skala, cost 2 euro/person. The earliest schedule start from 10:15 and bust stop is in front of a church. The entrance of the beach cost 5 euro/person and you can seat anywhere without paying extra unless it's the front row, you have to pay extra 10 euro.

This is one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve been to in Greece. The beach is sheltered by the bay on one side and the water is crystal clear! The other side has a magnificent view. The bar service is super prompt, staff are really friendly and it only costs €5 for a sunbed and umbrella for the entire day!
Evelina Velkova — Google review
This is the best beach on this island. Dont worry about the bad comments. You can take the bus from Skala every quarter past and arrive in 15 minutes. It is only 2€. if you try to get on at milos, the bus wont take you if it is too crowded. Entrance is 5€ per person. There are lots of sunbeds. We came at 3 on sunday and had no difficulty in finding one. Seashoes are good idea. But there arent many urchins.

The ruined Doric temple, constructed around 5th-century BC, was dedicated to the Ancient goddess Aphaia. The remarkably preserved remains of this temple are located on a hill covered in pine trees providing an extensive view of the Saronic Gulf. The structure was built in honor of a local deity from a pre-Hellenic era and featured magnificent sculptures depicting the Trojan War on its pediments.
I never get tired of visiting the Temple of Aphaia, one of Aegina island's must see unique attraction that is situated on a hill ... with beautiful views & lots of pine trees ... about 15 km from the islands capital. 👍😊
Since prehistoric times ( 1300 B.C.) it's been a place of worship ... a sanctuary dedicated to the goddess Aphaia.😍
Next to the temple there is a small archeological museum, the Museum of Aphaia, where parts of the temple are on display. Across from the Temple you will see a simple cafeteria where I've enjoyed some beverages ... that was nice: especially if you are visiting on a hot summer day!

Must visit. Not very crowded, it’s a very well preserved temple, one of the most important ones in this part of Greece too. They had both the Parthenon and Sounion in sight so those three temples used to communicate with each other visually, even though they are dozens of km from each other!
Also - visit the cafe for a coffee - they serve a surprisingly good one and the view is stunning!

This monument is well preserved and maintained. It’s hard to believe that this temple was from 500 BC.
Most of its pillars, structures, inner and outer features are still standing.
There’s a shop and cafe close to archeological site you can buy drinks, light finger foods and souvenirs there.
The shopping mini complex also has a restroom open to everyone.
Parking here is by the side of the road so it is limited.

This temple is pretty well preserved on the Greek island of Aegina. Or at least as much as anything can be at 2000+ years old. The temple is at the top of a mountain, surrounded by a fence and normally cost 6 eu to enter, but ous was already covered. Anyway you can see some real dedication with people quarrying these enormous stones and then of course dragging them up to the top of the highest mountain around. Anyway it's a beautiful site.

Amazing sunset beach, we didn’t had any cash and the guys from the bar contacted our hotel and we paid later to them!

This beach is awesome. You can reach by bus from Skala and Megalochori. The bus tho gets overcrowded. No need to carry food and drinks, there's a bar that serves both. If there's no free umbrellas you can rent a sunbed for 5 euros and place it under the trees, which is better option i think. On the way back the bus was full and didn't take us. So we needed to walk back to Skala, which takes about an hour. It was pretty nice walk, as the road goes through amazing views.

Great pebble beach with lots of natural shade provided by trees.
Unfortunately the bar is obnoxious and around 5PM they start playing loud music (they play music throughout the day but not so loud). No showers.
Parking is easily available.

Place is nice, sea is amazing there however it's mostly rocky what makes entering into water a bit challenging. There's a private part of the beach where you can rent a chair for 4€ or a full set with umbrella for 12€. I took the one for 4€ and just went laying under the trees which in imo was better cuz also it was less loud

Pros: ▪︎Maybe the best sea in the island with the the most stunning clear water.
▪︎Very good service from the canteen there.
Cons: ▪︎The beach doesn't have many umbrellas with sunbeds as it is only one canteen, which means that if it is busy you should wait until someone leaves.
▪︎If you don't use car and you go there by bus, be aware that the bus doesn't bring you straight to the beach, it makes a stop in the mountain which is 10 minutes of walking until you arrive in the beach. Downhill is easy but the uphill with the sun being so hot is quite hard. It's worth it anyway.

A M A Z I N G beach, water and view. It is definitely a MUST go if you visit the island. 10 euro for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella but self service if you want to order something from the cantina(weird if you ask me, to be self service since you pay for sunbeds and umbrella but it didn't change my mood for this place).

A must to visit! A beautiful and peaceful beach. Crystal clear water! Takes a maximum of 40 minutes from Skala and 20 from Megalochori by bike. It is recommended to rent a motorcycle or an electric bicycle if you don't have a car. Great for camping too.

A beautiful place, although it looks best from a distance and at night, when it is beautifully lit. While there, be sure to go up the mountain, taking a serpentine trail along the slope, and visit the monastery, light a candle and see Nectarios' tomb.

Move over, Temple of Aphaia, this church is beautiful! If you're fortunate enough to have found yourself on Aegina, a visit to this neo-byzantine church is a must. Unfortunately for me, the center of the church was completely covered in scaffolding but, the outside was sublime. Tip: sneak up the back of the church at sunset for incredible photos!

You can quickly reach the Monastery by bus. Wonderful peace, the smell of flowers and trees.
The architectural work of art is the church itself.
It is pleasant and inspiring to walk to the Monastery with a beautiful view of the surroundings. There is also a museum dedicated to the work of Saint Nektarios.
The spiritual rapture that overwhelms you in this holy place does not need to be highlighted.
Across the street from the building is a small restaurant where you can have a drink or something to eat.
Warm recommendations for this trip or pilgrimage.

Amazing experience. Easy access by bus from Aegina. Make it in the morning for the Sunday service. Open again.

Can't describe how lovely and also how holy this place is, you need to see for yourself you'll be amazed the church, the monastery, the way things are presented , the helper's and the amount of people visiting every day

Very nice looking church from the outside located on the bottom of the monastery.
There is a dress code in order to enter (pants for men and dress for women)

A very beautiful and impressive church to say the least. There were couple of homeless people on the way to monastery and it always saddens me to see how the 'church' caters to the rich visitors and does not provide much to the poor.

What a beautiful Church! This was the highlight of my tour in Aegina. Top class architecture and vibe, especially if you visit the monastery above the Church. NB inside there are some restoration works going on. Must see if you're visiting Aegina.

Wow, very nice place with beautiful architecture. Nothing to pay for entrance, have toilets, water to drink.

Absolutely wonderful from every point of view. The place is gorgeous, situated in the middle of the island of Aegina, very quiet, peaceful and welcoming. The nuns and the helping people from there are extremely kind and they will help you with everything. The main big church has the entire holy body of Saint Nektarios and the upper little church has the head of Saint Nektarios. It is a great Saint who helps everyone and I can relate. I hope I will be back soon, it’s definitely worth every minute.❤️

Pretty interesting church - the architecture and the colour scheme makes it stand out from its surroundings. It has quite a well decorated interior and is very well maintained. There were some scaffolding in the church when we went, but it doesn’t really make much difference to our visit.
This place is accessible by the A1 bus that runs from the port of Aegina (though the frequency may be very limited - so plan your time properly if you intend to catch it!). A place that is worth visiting if you are already planning to visit the island, but otherwise wouldn’t really recommend coming to Aegina just for this attraction.

It’s an amazing church in Aegina island. Must to see if you are on this island. This church is the second largest church in Greece 💙

Strange vibes. Met no one there. Nicely renovated. On the way back, saw a priest driving his white papal mobil decorated with crosses. Must be good living in these times, not carrying water by foot.

This place has a great ambiance, very beautiful and interesting artifacts. I visited last year with my cousin and although it's outside of the city, it's really worth the trip. We got to see objects used by the moncs and the saint's tomb.

Beautiful church and monastery with great views, especially from the monastery! Lots of history within it’s grounds. No tickets required for entry, usually not that busy so it’s really nice.
