This is a temple on the top of the Kalo Dungar just before you walk to the last point of the mountain where there is a place to stand and see the beauty.
There is parking outside and then as you enter, you come across this temple.
It's made for the god Dattatreya and with justb1 idol in it, it serves the much needed simplicity yet the spirituality at this place.
There are washrooms, a place to have Prasad, etc. After you go down a few steps ahead of this temple.
All the shops start behind the temple and before the view point.

Dattatreya Temple and Kalo Dunger is one place only.
You get a nice view of White desert from this place.
White desert is very far from this place and is not possible to walk till there as there is full of forests hills in between.
From bhuj this temple is nearly 90km.
You will get lime juice, sugercan juice and few more eat and drink stuffs here to cure thurst and hunger.
Please note, when you reach to this place, there is no need to opt for Camel ride as view point is very near and in walkable distance.
But yes, as this is the only way of earning for the local people so consider paying them 😊.

The temple located on the Black Hill should be ur reason to go here, bcoz the view from the top of the White Desert is just breathtaking. The heavy winds when we visited just made it the perfect spot. Take a camel ride up if u wanna experience it, 50/- per person. U can also take a binoculars on hire and see India s last bridge. We saw a lot of people trying out the local clothes n getting pics clicked. There's some juice and short eats available here.
Coming to the temple, it's a 400 Yr old temple, pray here n proceed for the view. The temple also has prasad offering, nothing great just basic.

An excellent place and drive from Dhordo (Kutch). It has a small village nearby. Local market, snack carts, temple, government office and a reasonable parking area. You may also encounter a small stretch of road with" Earths magnetic Field" distortion. put your vehicle in neutral and it will drive itself due to magnetic field. From the highest point on the hill- one can watch Sunrise/ Sunset, the great Kutch lake and Indo=Pakistan border can be viewed hypothetically ( 25kms away). One can watch Dhordo from birds eye view.

One of the prominent features of Kutch is the black hill. The highest hill of Kutch is the black hill. The height of this hill is 458 meters above the sea level. There is magnetic field on way to kalo Dungar where your car/vehicle will run without accelerator even if your vehicle is turned off.
One can drive a car upto hilltop.
One should drive car upto hilltop if car has powerful engine and driver must have experience of driving on hill.
You can see the beauty of kutch from the hilltop. There are many stalls serving food items. There are some Hindu temples too. There is a guest house for stay.
One should visit it in the morning or evening not in the afternoon.

Patan Patola Heritage is a museum run by the Salvi family, known for their expertise in double-ikat weaving since the 11th century. Visitors can witness the intricate process of Patola silk weaving and compare it with single-ikat textiles from around the world. The museum showcases a masterpiece elephant-motif sari and provides insights into the history of this craft and the family's journey from Maharashtra to Gujarat.
Patolas are very expensive woven silk saris worn only by rich people (the price starts with Rs 150,000/-). The common people can’t afford these saris. The secret of patola weaving is closely guarded and only three families of Salvi caste know the art.
This art of patola weaving is 850 years old and is dying and only handful of family members know the techniques. It takes 6 months to make one patola and owning a patola is considered a social status.
Usually, the dyeing of the fabric is done after the weaving but for Patola, the threads are dyed first as per the design and then the fabric is woven. In this museum, the Salvi family exhibits how the Patola silk is made in action on real hand loom.
This Salvi family is involved in Patola making since 35 generations. They have been awarded many awards from the government for keeping this art alive. This family is specialized on double-ikat weaving.
In the Patola house, many fabrics from different parts of the world are displayed which are single-ikat weaving. We can clearly see the difference in quality of the Patola weaved by this family as compared to the other patolas weaved by other countries.

Patan Patola Heritage stands as a testament to over 1000 years of Indian weaving tradition, showcasing the timeless beauty of Patola sarees. These heirloom pieces are not just garments but treasures of intricate craftsmanship and historical significance. The art of creating these sarees involves a meticulous handwoven and hand-dyed process using the double ikat technique, a skill passed down through generations of artisans in Patan, Gujarat. Each Patola saree at Patan Patola Heritage is a masterpiece of design and color, featuring traditional motifs and patterns that have endured through centuries. The use of natural dyes is a hallmark of these sarees, not only contributing to their vibrant hues but also ensuring their longevity. Remarkably, when properly cared for, the colors of a Patola saree can remain vibrant for 200 to 300 years, making them a true legacy to be passed down through generations. The collection at Patan Patola Heritage is a celebration of this ancient art form. Owning one of these sarees means embracing a piece of Indian heritage, a connection to a rich past and a commitment to preserving traditional arts. For those who appreciate the fine intricacies of handwoven textiles, a Patan Patola saree is not just an item of clothing but a piece of living history, embodying the spirit of Indian craftsmanship at its finest.

Patola's are a favourite, not to have, but to see as a technique. I have great respect for those who have kept it alive for so many generations. It certainly is a craft that needs to be preserved and the Salvi family I am sure will do their best.

There are only 3 families left to work on Patolas out of 700 families earlier. It's such a minute work and takes months to get finished. Needs an expert eye and very precise and patience to work on it. Had visited Nirmal Salvi's work place and his artist worker Raj showed and explained us the whole process. It's price is really very high but if you see their labour for such an artistic work, it is worth it. A must visit to know about it

Very nice to go over the whole process of how patola sarees are prepared .They have few guides who are available as part of your ticket they explain patiently the whole process. It is also nice to see how the family still maintains their traditional process. Its also surprising to see how many other countries though having similar cloth making processes are not able to produce the quality of Patola sarees. We also saw mulmul cloth with a coin placed below the cloth it looked as if it is above it.The whole mulmul saree can be passed smoothly inside a ring

This is a place of family heritage with fine artists making the traditional Patola sarees. It's a privately owned place hence photography is not permitted. It was mind blowing to understand how much calculation and efforts are required to make one authentic Patola silk saree. No wonder it takes 5-6 months for 4-5 artists to make one saree. Their sarees are worn by many politicians and film artists. On the first floor one can see the fine artworks with paper cuttings. There are a few masterpieces which can not be re-created again. A must visit place near Rani Ki Wav in Patan.

We visited in month of July 2023. This is 2 minutes drive from Ran ka vav. 5 rs we paid for entry. Photography is not allowed. They explained and showered how the patola sarees are handwoven. It's history and how this family reached Gujarat from Maharashtra. No sales here. It is only a museum.

The threads, both Tana and Bana, intertwine with precision, creating an exquisite mosaic of shapes and forms. Each stitch, each knot, contributed to the creation of a masterpiece, leaving me in awe of the craftsmanship of the artisans of the 11th century. However, amidst the awe-inspiring beauty, one rule stands firm: no photography allowed.
In the realm of textile history, a curious debate ensues, echoing through the corridors of Rani Ki Vav and the Patan Patola Heritage. Guides at each site passionately uphold conflicting narratives, each claiming precedence for the illustrious Patola pattern.
At Rani Ki Vav, amidst the mesmerizing stepwell, enthusiasts are told tales of how the intricate Patola prints were first immortalized within its walls. Yet, just a stone's throw away at Patan Patola Heritage, a different story unfolds, weaving a narrative of ancient origins and cultural heritage, asserting that the Patola prints predate the very stones of Rani Ki Vav.
As visitors ponder this enigma, they find themselves caught in a web of uncertainty, unable to discern truth from legend. Perhaps the beauty of the Patola pattern lies not in its origin, but in the mystique that surrounds it, inviting admirers to marvel at its intricate design and rich history, regardless of its elusive beginnings.

Amazing views from the top. Better go to temple climbing the stairs. This mountain is larger compared to nearby mountains. On top, you have many Dharamshala as well for your stay based on different communities. Stay there on top for a couple of days.
I ate food from the entrance shops, did not like it. If you like then go and have it. I had pav bhaji and masala dosa.
But overall experience was amazing. A must place to visit.

The temple is beautiful but the management was worst. They didn’t care of anyone. Very rude staff. So many people were waiting outside for darshan and some stupid people broke the queue by lying that we have health issues and we were sent by the staff and so.. And the management didn’t even cared about that. They weren’t listening to anybody. Its a holly place and loads of people stand there for hours to just have a glimpse of goddess and some people break the rules and there is no one to care about. Definitely not visiting again even if its a holly place. The management should work properly first only then we should pay them the ticket fees for the ropeway

Hello friends,
I hope all of you are doing well. 👍
Recently, we had an unplanned visit to the Sundha Mata Temple. 🙄 Originally, our plan was to attend the Siddhpur Kartik Mela on the Saraswati River. However, at 1 AM, we made a spontaneous decision to visit the Sundha Mata Mandir the next day.
To ensure a comfortable stay, we booked a room at the Lajwanti Hotel in Palanpur. Although it is an old establishment, it proved to be a good choice.
The next morning, at 9 AM, we embarked on our journey, making a stop at the Dantivada Dem along the way. This place also turned out to be quite remarkable. By approximately 2 PM, we finally arrived at Sundha. We indulged in a delicious Gujarati Thali for lunch. 🥪
Filled with excitement, we began our ascent to the Sundha Mata Temple and were overwhelmed with a sense of peace and tranquility upon reaching our destination. It truly is a serene Hindu devotional site. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for reading. 😊

The location features an Akhand flame at Gabbar Mandir and numerous shops selling various items around its base, while parking facilities are also available for cars.
Ambaji Mata's main temple is situated on Gabbar Hill. It has approx 999 steps to climb.

The Kumbhariya Jain Mandir in Ambaji comprises two temples, one of which dates back to the 12th-13th century. The complex has undergone several renovations and additions over time, but further modernization is not advised as it may disturb the antiquity of these remarkable temples. "JAINO KA ATULNIYA ITIHAS"
Kumbharia jain temples Gujarat are a fascinating group of amazing temple structures at Ambaji town which dates back to the 11th and 13th century, respectively. The Kumbhariya group of Jain temples are dedicated to the five theerthankkaras of the Jain religion namely Mahavira, Parshvanath, Neminath Shantinath and Sambhavanath.
According to the legend, Mata Ambika had directed Sheth Vimal Shah, the 11th century minister of the Solankis, to construct 360 Jain temples there. The temples were constructed without Ambe Mata's idols installed. On noticing this, the goddess got furious and destroyed almost all the temples except five of them.
The minister realized his mistake and included the idols of Ambe Mata in the remaining temples. The main shrine constructed in the center of a rectangular courtyard is the highlight of the temple. The beautiful shiksaras, balconies with porches and the excellent craftsmanship and artistic of the temple structure and style bears a striking resemblance to the famous Dilwara temples of mount Abu in Rajasthan.
Kindly do share with all your JAIN groups & friends & even let them know how vast and old our JAIN religion is which was spread all over the world. History is never ending, Its endless

The lake is in length of about a half mile and in width about of a quarter of mile and 20 to 30 ft. deep towards the dam on the west. It is an important tourist attraction of Mount Abu. There is the Toad Rock on a hill near the lake. Toad rock is so called as it looks like a toad about to jump into the lake, from the side of the rock facing the lake. There are two ways to go up and down the rock; to climb the rocky hill side or to use the steps leading down to Nakki Lake. By the side of the lake there is a path leading to Sunset Point. It is forbidden to climb to Sunset Point due to wild animals such as bears and leopards roaming around the path to Sunset Point. Raghunath Temple and Maharaja Jaipur Palace are also on hills near the Lake. Boating in the lake and horse rides around the lake are available.
Mahatma Gandhi's ashes were immersed in this holy lake on 12 February 1948 and Gandhi Ghat was constructed.

1.The beautiful and attractive lake located in the center of Mount Abu Hill Station is surrounded by lush greenery, mountains and strangely shaped rocks.
2.There are many old stories associated with this lake. According to them, this lake was created by the gods using nakhas or nails. That is why it is famous by the name of Nakki Lake.
3.On 12 February 1948, the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi were immersed and Gandhi Ghat was constructed nearby.
4.Best time to visit Nakki Lake Mount Abu – You can visit Nakki Lake throughout the year. But the best time to see it is during monsoon and winter season. The temperature here is 30 degrees Celsius in monsoon and 12 degrees in winter. The lush greenery here makes the beauty of the lake more beautiful during monsoon. Summers are hot in Mount Abu. Because of that, it would be better if you avoid visiting between March-June and you should visit the lake from July to January.

Mount Abu is one of the few places in Rajasthan which is absolutely neat and clean and gorgeous despite being a crowded place. Its circumference is around 3 km, so take some time in hand and give it a complete visit. Do not miss the sunset point too, but be cautious: it has a good height and the path is not smooth always. So I visited this hotel on one fine weekend with my office colleagues. We were around 25 people and we pre booked the hotel. We reached there on Saturday morning and all of us had the same first reaction. The hotel was horrible, the rooms were extremely small, it was a deluxe family room for 3 people but it could hardly fit 2 people comfortably. The washroom didn’t had a proper flush, the taps were broken, washrooms were smelling really bad. We had 4-5 female colleagues and they were so uncomfortable just because of the pathetic washroom. In some rooms the flush wasn’t working and in some the AC wasn’t working. When we raised a complaint they provided such pathetic solutions to our complaints.
The blankets were smelling like hell, in couple of rooms a bad odour was coming from the air conditioner.
The trip which was supposed to be refreshing and enjoying turned out to be the worst trip of our life just because of this third class hotel and their staff.
Just stay miles away from this property even if they offer you the room for free.
Nilesh Desai — Google review
My stay at Hotel Sunset Inn was an absolute nightmare. Where do I even begin? Let's start with the bathroom, which had water leaking from every imaginable crack. It felt like showering in a monsoon! The bathroom accessories were straight out of a horror movie - broken tiles, rusty taps, and a toilet that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months.
As for hygiene, it was non-existent. The blankets and bedsheets were so filthy, I wouldn't let my worst enemy touch them. I'm pretty sure I saw more stains than actual fabric. And don't even get me started on the mysterious odors lurking in every corner of the room. It was like a cesspool of germs and neglect. Hotel doesn't even deserve 1 start rating.
Overall, my experience at Hotel Sunset Inn was beyond disappointing. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this hygiene nightmare disguised as a hotel. Trust me, you'll thank me later.

The Dilwara Temples are a group of Śvētāmbara Jain temples about 3 kilometres from the Mount Abu in Sirohi District, Rajasthan. The earliest temples were built by Bhima-1 They are famous for very pure white marble and intricate marble carvings. Temples are managed by Seth Shri Kalyanji Anandji Pedhi, Sirohi. The main buildings of first three are surrounded by "cloister" screens of devakulikā shrines, and are fairly plain on the outer walls. The ornamental detail spreading over the minutely carved ceilings, doorways, pillars, and panels is remarkable. The five temples are:
1. Vimal Vasahi, dedicated to the 1st Jain Tirthankara, Shri Adinatha.
2. Luna Vasahi, dedicated to the 22nd Jain Tirthankara, Shri Shri Neminatha.
3. Pittalhar temple, dedicated to the 1st Jain Tirthankar, Shri Adinatha.
4. Parshvanath temple, dedicated to the 23rd Jain Tirthankara, Shri Parshvanatha.
5. Mahavir Swami temple, dedicated to the 24th Jain Tirthankara, Shri Mahavir Swami.

Dilwara Jain temples are one of the finest pieces of Architecture in the Indian History. The temples located just a km away from the city center are also a major tourist attraction in Mt. Abu. The Jain temples are famous for its carvings. There are close to 7 different temples within the complex and each of them seem to compete with each other on the architecture front. The top of the temples looks rustic and untidy, specially designed to prevent it from being looted and destroyed. The temples have a great piece of history and you surely need a few hours to enjoy it fully. It is open only to Jains in the morning and tourists can visit here post 11 pm once the daily rituals get over, open till 5 pm.

The architecture, the detailing on the walls, pillars, was like out of this world, it was so amazing, I couldn't believe it. So much minute , beautiful details, showing sheer hard work of the workers around 1000 years ago. I highly respect that. And that too, it's maintained in well form even today.
At first, before visiting this place, I thought of it as just another Jain temple, like we have in Ranakpur (that's also very good) but this one was mind blowing. I was in awe! ❤️
Really great ✨

The Delwara Jain Temple, situated in the heart of Mount Abu, is an architectural masterpiece and a testament to the rich cultural heritage of India. Renowned for its intricate marble carvings and spiritual significance, this temple complex is a must-visit for history enthusiasts and devotees alike.
Upon entering the temple premises, one is immediately struck by the exquisite craftsmanship of the marble sculptures adorning every inch of the structure. The intricate detailing, delicate filigree work, and artistic precision showcase the brilliance of the artisans who crafted this marvel. The temples are dedicated to various Jain Tirthankaras, and each shrine is a visual treat, with its unique design and storytelling through sculpted scenes.
One notable aspect is the use of white marble, which imparts a divine aura to the entire complex. The marble's translucency, especially when illuminated by natural light, enhances the beauty of the intricate carvings, creating a serene and contemplative atmosphere.
The intricate carvings depict not only religious themes but also scenes from everyday life, making it a fascinating journey through art and spirituality. The ceilings are adorned with geometric patterns and divine figures, adding to the overall aesthetic charm.
The meticulous preservation of the Delwara Jain Temple is commendable. Despite its age, the temple complex has been well-maintained, allowing visitors to appreciate the architectural marvel in its original glory. The ambiance inside is tranquil, fostering a sense of reverence and spirituality.
It's advisable to visit during weekdays or non-peak hours to fully absorb the tranquility of the place. The local guides are well-versed in the history and significance of the temple, offering valuable insights into the architectural nuances and the religious importance attached to each shrine.
In conclusion, the Delwara Jain Temple is a gem that reflects the grandeur of Indian craftsmanship and spirituality. A Journey through Time and Royalty: Exploring Delwara Dera
Nestled amidst the Aravalli Range in the princely state of Rajasthan, Delwara Dera stands as a testament to the opulence and grandeur of India's regal past. My recent visit to this majestic estate was nothing short of a captivating journey through time and royalty.
As I entered the intricately adorned gates of Delwara Dera, I was immediately struck by the breathtaking architecture that adorned every corner of the compound. The fusion of Rajputana and Mughal styles manifested in every arch, dome, and facade, speaking volumes about the rich cultural heritage of the region.
The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the majestic palace, a masterpiece of craftsmanship and luxury. Each room unfolded a new chapter of history, adorned with vibrant frescoes, delicate carvings, and ornate furnishings that whispered tales of bygone eras. From the lavish Durbar Hall, where kings once held court, to the serene Zenana quarters, where queens found solace, every space exuded an aura of regal splendor.
Stepping outside, the sprawling gardens of Delwara Dera offered a tranquil retreat amidst the desert landscape. Lush greenery, fragrant blooms, and murmuring fountains provided a picturesque backdrop for leisurely strolls and contemplation.
Furthermore, the hospitality extended by the staff added an extra layer of warmth to my experience. Their impeccable service and attention to detail ensured that every moment of my visit was nothing short of extraordinary.
In conclusion, my visit to Delwara Dera was a mesmerizing journey into the heart of Rajasthan's royal legacy. From its architectural marvels to its serene surroundings, every aspect of this estate left an indelible impression on my soul. For anyone seeking to immerse themselves in the grandeur of India's past, a visit to Delwara Dera is an absolute must.

Dilwara Jain Temples is one of the finest Jain temple known world over for its extraordinary architecture and marvelous marble stone carvings, some experts also consider it architecturally superior to the Taj Mahal. It seems fairly basic temple from outside but every cloud has a silver lining, the temple interior showcases the extraordinary work of human craftsmanship at its best. These temples were built between 11th to 13th century AD, The beautiful lush green hills surrounding the temple gives a very pleasant feeling. The ornamental details of marble stone carvings is phenomenal and unmatched, The minutely carved ceilings and the pillars are just amazing. All this was done at a time when no transport or roads were available at a height of 1200+ Mtrs in Mount Abu, Huge blocks of marble stones were transported on elephant backs from the Arasoori Hills at Ambaji to this remote hilly region of Mount Abu. Dilwara temples is also a popular Jain pilgrimage attraction.
Dilwara Temple complex consist of five major sections or temples devoted to five jain trithankaras(saints):
Shri Mahaveer Swami Temple - This temple was constructed in 1582 and is devoted to Lord Mahaveer the 24th Tirthankara of Jain's, this temple is relatively small the temple's upper walls have pictures of the porch painted by craftsmen of sirohi in year 1764.
Shri AdiNath Temple or Vimal Vasahi Temple - This temple is build by Vimal Shah, Minister of Solanika ruler of Gujarat in 1031 A.D., this temple is the oldest of all and dedicated to Shri Adinath Ji - The first jain trithankar, the temple has an open courtyard surrounded by corridors all beautifully decorated with marble carved stones. Cells inside this temple are contain tiny images of Jain saints artistically carved on marble stone minutely. The internal dome is aesthetically decorated with design's of flowers and petals, the huge hall of the temple pillars decorated with the carving work of female figures playing musical instruments. The temple also have the "Guda Mandapa" - A simple hall decorated with the images of Shri Adi Nath.
Shri ParshavNath Temple or Khartar Vasahi Temple - This temple was built by Mandika clan between 1458-59 A.D., this temple has the tallest shrine along with four big Mandapa's amongst all dilwara temples. The carving on the pillars of this temple is yet another example of these jain temples architectural superiority.
Shri Rishabdaoji Temple or Peethalhar Temple - This temple is known as Pittalhari/Peethalhar temple because in this temple most of the statues are built using ‘Pittal’ (Brass Metal). This temple was built by Bhima Shah, a minister from Gujarat dynasty, like other temples of Dilwara this temple is also having Gudu Mandapa and Navchowki.
Shri NemiNathJi Temple or Luna Vasahi Temple - This temple was built in 1230 A.D. by two brothers known as Tejpal and Vastupal, they dedicated this temple to the 22nd saint of Jainism - Shri Nemi Nathji. This temple has one hall named Rag Mandapa which has three hundred and sixty (360) tiny idols of Jain trithankar all minutely crafted on marble proving once again why these jain marble temples of Dilwara are superior to Taj Mahal, Among all these white marble idols the idol of Shri Neminath Ji is made up of black marble. The pillars of this temple were built by Maharana Kumbha of Mewar.
The Dilwara Jain Temples are open from 12 P.M. to 5 P.M. for tourist's for free.

Wonderful archaeological monument and heritage place in Rajasthan. Enhousing the famous Jain temple. The structure remained after loot by invaders still reflect the past glory of Rajasthan. But the maintenance is in great need of much more attention and expense. The Kalptaru tree is drying and dying , the Parijat disappears from campus due to ignorance.

Beautiful Jain temple, constructed some 1000 years ago in year 1031 at a cost of 18 crore 53 lakh, time taken 14 years. Beautiful art on walls & roofs. Even after 1000 years most of the work on marbles is intact. Small market. You can't take mobile or camera inside the temple, keep your footware outside. Some shops of juice, eatables, local art & crafts. Nearby Parking available.

The five Dilwara temples are among the most famous Jain temples. The Vimal Vasahi is much the earliest, constructed by 1031, with the Luna Vasahi by 1230, and the others at intervals between 1459 and 1582. All are in white marble which adds greatly to their effect and remains in use. The oldest and largest two have large amounts of intricate carving even by the standards of the style, reaching a peak in the Luna Vasahi temple. The main buildings of the first three named are surrounded by "cloister" screens of devakulikā shrines, and are fairly plain on the outer walls of these; in the case of the Vimal Vasahi this screen was a later addition, around the time of the second temple. These three have an axis from the sanctuary through a closed, then an open mandapa to an open rangamandapa, or larger hall for dance or drama.[6] Surrounding the main temple with a curtain of shrines was to become a distinctive feature of the Jain temples of West India, still employed in some modern temples.[7]
In later temples in the Māru-Gurjara style, a very pure white marble like that at Dilwara came to be regarded as highly desirable, even essential. In modern times, when the style has become popular in other regions of India, and with Hindu and Jain communities in other countries, local Rajastani marble is often carved and transported to the new building.
The temples have an opulent entranceway, the simplicity in architecture reflecting Jain values like honesty and frugality.[8] The ornamental detail spreading over the minutely carved ceilings, doorways, pillars, and panels is considered to be remarkable.[9] It is said that workmen were paid in gold according to the weight of marble powder scraped off.[10]

The highest peak of the Aravali ranges, gurushikhar is a prominent tourist attraction in Mount Abu, Rajastan. Located approx 15 km from the main town, the peak is easily accessible via car & bike. You can also get a shared taxi from the town to reach here. The vehicles take you to the parking lot from where you need to climb approx 400 steps to reach the top. There are a couple of temples on the way. The best part of the climb is the awsome view of the Aravali ranges that you get from the top. You also get to see an Observatory and few Air force Radars from the top. The place surely has that zing. Do not forget to listen to Pakistan Radio while you are at the top. Being close to radar and also being the highest point, you can easy catch signals across the border.
Tip - Try to reach the place early morning r late evening. You can plan either for sun rise or sun set view from here.

One of the best experiences of mount Abu. Lemme explain. Spotted around 15KM from mount Abu Nakki Lake. There is a temple on the peak. But the journey from nakki lake to that peak.
So many attraction points are there in between. Going there with a vehicle is just another level of experience in itself. It's clearly not about the destination, it's about the journey and destination. At peak, there's just a temple and mesmerising mountain view nothing else. It will be worth it when you enjoy the journey also, the adventures in between. We took almost half a day to reach there because we stopped at so many points.
Just advice not to go there by car as there is always so much traffic at peak with the car. Biking will be much better and literally enjoyable. I went there at monsoon by bike and i was feeling like riding among clouds fr.
Give a day to Guru shikhar. It will easily consume your entire day but will be worth it. Visit in Monsoon if you wanna feel the heaven vibes.

The campus of the temple is big and has dedicated parking for the vehicles, from where you would have to walk about 200 m to the temple ramparts.

Chaumukha Jain Temple, 1444 A forest of marble pillars, each carved differently from the other.
History of Ranakpur Jain Temple
Ranakpurpur Jain Temple was built to order by a local businessman named Darna Shah. He wanted a beautiful temple built after he had a dream of a celestial vehicle. Many sculptors and artists submitted their designs to Shah but none of them matched the image he had dreamt of. One plan that matched his dream was by an architect named Deepak from Mundara. Deepak was able to make a design because he was impressed by the dedication of Shah to build this temple. Afterwards, Shah sought the land to build the temple from King Rana Kumbha. Not only did he give a big piece of land to build the temple on, but he also asked Deepak to build a town around it. The town built was named Ranakpur, after the king, and the same town is now known as Ranakpur. The construction of the temple began in the 14th century and went on till the 15th century.
There are a total of 5 temples in India that are considered the most sacred for Jain. One of them is Ranakpur Jain Temple. The others in the list are Dilwara Temple in Mount Abu, Rajasthan; Khajuraho Temples in Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh; Palitana Temples in Shatrunjya Hills, Gujarat; and Gomateshwara Temple in Shravanabelagola, Karnataka.
When you’re visiting Rajasthan, Ranakpur temple is one of the places recommended to visit. It also goes by the name of Charturmukha Dharana Vihara and is dedicated to Tirthankara Rishabhanatha who was the first Tirthankara of Jainism, and he also founded the Ikshvaku dynasty.
The complex of Ranakpur ka Jain mandir includes 5 temples.
Chaturmukha/Chaumukha Temple
Built in the 15th century using white marble, it is the most popular temple in the complex and it honours Adinath, also known as Rishabanatha. It gets its name from its 4-faced design. This temple is spread across 48,000 square feet and is known for its intricacy and beautifully carved 1444 pillars, 426 columns, 89 domes, and 29 halls. Interestingly, one of the pillars is incomplete. There’s a legend about the temple that one pillar is bound to be incomplete. Whenever it has been completed, it has broken the next day itself. 1444 pillars that support the temple have been carved with exquisite detail that is nearly impossible to do even today.
One of the most attractive features of the temple, besides the pillars, is the beautifully carved idol of Parshvanatha. It has been made out of a single slab of marble. Its beauty in the detail is due to the 1008 snake carefully crafted around the idol. The same idol also has two chauri bears and yaksha and yakshi, who are half-human and half-snake. There are also two elephants carved, one on either side, that seem to be purifying Parshavanath. And you can’t find the end of the tails of these elephants.
The Ranakpur Jain Mandir also has 84 bhonyras. Bhonyras are underground chambers that were built in the earlier times during disturbance to prevent the attacks on Jain idols. It is said that the design of Ranakpur Jain Temple was used as an inspiration to design Dilwara Temple. While Dilwara Jain Temple is not for its sculptures, Ranakpur Jain Temple is known for its intricacies in the design.
Suparshvanatha Temple
Supershvanatha is the seventh Tirthankara and this temple is dedicated. The intricate designs are present even in this temple. It is also popular for the erotic arts on the wall.
Surya Temple
The construction of this sun temple dates back to the 13th century, full 2 centuries before the construction of Ranakpur Jain Temple. But it got desecrated during the time of disturbance due to repeated attacks and was later reconstructed with the remaining temple complex.
So when you are looking for places to visit in Rajasthan, Ranakpur Jain Temple must be on your list

Complete peace amidst greenery, hills and forests. I am sure this place will remain cool and calm even during the scorching heat. There are resorts nearby and you can plan a day trip and experience the Ranakpur Wild Area Safari. It is a must visit place. A unique temple that stands only with pillars, no walls. A total of 1444 marble pillars, each pillar has a different design. Very rich in architecture and carvings. It is highly recommended to visit before evening as there are no bulbs inside, only lamps are used for lighting. Therefore, you may miss seeing the carving in detail. However, seeing the temple lit only by lamps is a different experience altogether.

The Ranakpur Jain Temple, located in Udaipur, is a 15th-century white-marble temple with grand columns, halls and cupolas adorned with intricate carvings of deities. The temple boasts stunning architecture and a rich history that makes it a must-visit destination for both tourists and the religiously-inclined. Visitors are allowed to take pictures inside the temple with a ticket purchase.
Spectacular Jain temple with best architecture and story behind it. Must visit place for both tourist as well as devotion side. Carvings inside temple are worth note. Pics inside are allowed with a ticket. A basic canteen and mess is inside for food but otherwise, you won't find much (water is from Earthen pots and no packaged water bottle available inside so you can imagine).

Amazing history & architecture!
Building in the 1500's
A very peaceful temple, a must visit. Do listen to your audio guide.
To click pics, you have to pay a fee of ₹150/- per person.
They also serve meals in their "bhojnalaya" at a very affordable fee of ₹60/- per person. They serve meals in batches, might have to wait for your turn.
They have accommodation facilities, but it is not from a tourism perspective.
Outside the temple, there are adventure tourism activities and safari services. I was told there is no wildlife around.

Artistic marvels seen in this structure of the Jain Temple
Mesmerize yourself in the beauty of this temple and views from here. The temple charges you a donation of Rs. 100 on entry and is maintained well for visitors.
The campus of the temple is big and has dedicated parking for the vehicles, from where you would have to walk about 200 m to the temple ramparts.
Points of Improvement:
1. Better maintenance of toilet, it was barely clean when we visited.
2. Should be made more accessible for people with disabilities. Lots of stairs to climb.

Of all the temples, monuments, palaces, etc. that I've seen in India, Ranakpur Jain Temple is the most impressive building I've ever visited. Completely mesmerizing in its ascetic beauty and engineering. Arguably more beautiful than the great Taj Mahal. It can't be described, not even videos and photos will ever do it justice, it MUST be experienced in person.
Its remote location gives it a distinct peacefulness and serenity that you won't find in other places within India. A MUST SEE bucket list item for sure! 🙏🏼❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Pukhraj Durry Udhyog is a captivating tourist attraction situated approximately 20km from Jodhpur. The owner provides an insightful description of the yarn and colour preparation process, and the hospitable atmosphere warmly welcomes guests even without prior appointments. The serene setting offers visitors a peaceful environment to spend an hour or more while also showcasing various designs crafted by other weavers in the village cooperative.
I visited Salawas Village as I had heard about the Durry cooperative, what I found was a hive of activity and a homestead of traditional mud and dung huts beautifully painted. These round thatched homes were both inviting and very comfortable and whilst you stayed there you were able to learn the skill of weaving on floor looms using a variety of materials ranging from camel wool, cottons, silks and hemp and how to cook traditional village food, I wish I had known about this earlier! The weavers make amazing rugs in a variety of sizes and as one would expect in Rajasthan using wonderful colours. Chai was made, the best if had tasted, whilst I looked at rugs. I knew I wanted one and was stuck for colour combinations and was really glad that I was able and privileged to purchase one. 49 families belong to this cooperative and each rug sold gives 75% to the families that make them, so definitely worthwhile in a state that has some of the poorest peoples in it. From there I was taken to a local potter who uses a two hundred kilo weight stone wheel propelled by a stick to make pots, all perfect and then onto a block printing family. If you are in the area please support this group of enterprising friendly people they really do deserve your support and bring back a rug, tiny oil lamp and block printed tablecloth!

Fascinating, Authentic Weaver and Village Home Stay.
Sadly we were not able to stay for a meal, but enjoyed the explanation and seeing the range of different designs from other weaver's in the village cooperative.
Robin Horder — Google review
This weaving village in the outskirts of Jodhpur is by no means any ordinary place. The weaving community here have been making hand-made carpets for generations, using their proprietary interlocking weaving style which is hard to find anywhere else. In today's world of consumeristic products and promotion-based selling culture, they still cling on hand woven products, and damn, they are good. You just need an eye to observe and appreciate their work. We visited their place in Dec 2022 to see their art but came back buying two rugs. There cannot be a price to real art, and the talent and effort these craftsmen put it surely dwarfs the price they quote. Do pay a visit if you are in Jodhpur, have a chat with them, share a cup of tea, peek into their lives and you will surely come back with fond memories (and products!).

A very beautiful place to visit. the history of the place is just explained by the beauty and hugeness of the place. the carvings over the walls of the fort and temples. The fort explains the very good architecture and ventilation made the centuries before with the less rescores and less facilities. It is a great marvel questioning the possibility of making huge structure on the hilltop of the great mountain ranges of Aravalli mountains. Exploring the various temples, palaces, and step wells within the fort complex was fascinating, each offering a glimpse into the rich history and culture of Rajasthan. The light and sound show in the evening added another layer of magic to the visit, bringing the history of Kumbhalgarh to life in a captivating way. Fort is beautiful. The architecture and design are unique. What makes it more unique is it's surrounded by mountains which gives eye soothing experience. Best time to visit is in the evening to watch the sunset and then the light show on the fort.
Remember fort Ticket counter closes at 5pm and fort closes at 6pm. Try to reach the fort before 5pm.

Must visit. I would suggest to go in the morning as soon as it opens at 8am. As the day progress crowd increases and u will have to park car away from the Fort. Hire a govt certified guide at the entrance of Fort, believe me its a must. Give more time to visit the Fort and all its part leisurely. We were really thrilled listening the stories of our Kings, their valor and wonderful monument they had constructed. There are hundreds of temple in and around the Fort, try to visit few.

Best wishes to Keshav Handicrafts!

Found this wonderful shop on Facebook and what a joyful experience it has been !! The humble tone and positive attitude of Mr Deendayal and his clarity of explaining the details of the product has been truly rewarding...On this day and age, and the manner we get defrauded in the marketplace, even with eyes wide opened...to find such genuine shop which is widely visited by so many celebrities from abroad , with the reviews highly appreciating their quality work and transparency, Their down to earth attitude and gentle demeanor ...we once again can believe in the bygone era of building trust and respect on the true artisans our India is blessed with... looking forward to purchasing many more and also personally visit the shop in near future.

The Mehrangarh Fort Museum and Trust showcases the rich history of this iconic fort, which was built by Raja Rao Jodha in 1459 AD. The museum features a range of exhibits, including paintings, sculptures and howdahs from the royal palanquin collection. It also holds a superb collection of Rashtrakuta art, making it one of India's most important tourist attractions.
Brilliant architecture! Great views. A lot of history. An amazing place for photography. You can also avail a tasty lemonade inside for a reasonable price. I truly loved this place even in the scorching September heat. November to March recommended for pleasant visits. Don't forget to enjoy the lassi at the Tower below.

What an incredible experience at Mehrangarh Fort! It's seriously well taken care of, kudos to the authorities for preserving it so well. And I totally appreciate the no outside food rule – keeps the place super clean.
Walking around, you can just feel the weight of all that history. And yeah, there are a couple of cafes inside, but they can be a bit pricey. Still, the views and vibe make it worth it.
The entry fee is reasonable, ₹200/- for Indian adults, and getting a guide is worth it for sure. They charge in group of 4. Audio guides are also available if you want to go with it.
Sure, the initial climb is a bit steep, but they've got handrails to help out. Paid parking is available at the designated parking space.

It's a beautiful fort. To explore and understand the fort, you'd better pick a guide. It will definitely take 2 hours to see and understand the history of the fort. On the way, you will see an artist playing folk songs. You can either walk or use a lift by paying an extra amount. You will also see a lot of Swifts humming on your way in.

Beautiful fort. Public toilets inside are clean and plenty. The administration is good and disciplined. If you have mobility issues then take a ticket for using lift too. Else, you may have to climb 3 to 4 storeys.
The fort is beautiful and so is the surrounding view. Parking is around 300 metres from the actual entrance. But is plenty. Autos are available from parking space to entrance. You can take the vehicle till the entrance of the fort, drop the passengers and then take it back to the parking space 300 metres away.

Loved the trip to fort. Breathtaking views all around. From Jodhpur blue city to well used in the Dark knight movie. We hired a guide and he gave us superb overview of history of the fort. Lots of great places to click pictures, truly feels royal up here. They have some drink and food shops up there which are much required for Jodhpur heat. Its worth taking an elevator on the way up and walk your way down. Given right weather one can easily spend few hours here.

Beautiful fort and very well maintained. It has a lift as well to take you directly to the top from where you can walk around seeing each element. The craftsmanship is absolutely out of this world and the minute stone carving is something that will make you wonder how on earth these were even achievable in that era.
Every wall has a story so it is highly recommended to have a guide with you to explain each detail.

There folk singers and musicians at various points and they are very very talented. The shoes and other handicrafts sold are worth buying. Overall excellent place to visit.

3. Wear comfortable footwear, seriously people do not think you can walk this place without proper footwear.
4. Keep a full day alloted to this Fort, if you really want to enjoy your visit.
5. DO NOT MISS THAT SUNSET, you will be thankful to yourself that you caught it, it has one of the most beautiful shadows and light play at sunset.
I hope you enjoy this place too. Really large area to cover and just beautiful 😍

We came to see the fort in the early morning, so no many people around, but as we were going back we saw a lot of people coming in, mainly school visits.
The fort took 400y to be built and it has more than 500y.
It was built from the stones it sits on.
Unless you are mobility challenged I don’t think you’ll need the lift. It was just 3 flights of stairs, or maybe I missed something 😅
The building is very well preserved and some rooms are different from what you would expect.

The fort closes in the evening at 5pm and opens in the morning.
It's a great tourist place to visit, I visited in the month of January at 3pm it isn't that cold at almost 400 feet above ground level.
If you are a foreigner there is a counter at the entrance where you can exchange dollars with Indian rupees.
The fort was built in 1459 by the King Jodha. It's one of the largest forts in India. The place is rich with 500 years of history in India.
You may need 3 hours to visit the entire place with some time spent clicking photographs.
There is a lift that you can use to reach the top of the fort. You can also choose to walk if you want.
The price of lift is 50 rupees up and down.
The ticket entrance to this place for adults is 200 rupees per head.
I went with my dad and mom. It cost us 750 rupees for entry tickets plus lift usage.
The security people at the fort are very friendly. They will guide you if you are lost.

The Fort in Jodhpur is a true architectural marvel and an absolute must-visit for all travelers exploring Rajasthan. This imposing fortress stands majestically above the blue city, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
The history and cultural significance of this fort are fascinating. It's incredible to see how the architects and builders of centuries past created such an impressive structure that remains remarkably well-preserved to this day.
The various courtyards, palaces, and temples within the fort are rich in history and artistry. The opulent chambers and intricate carvings are a feast for the senses. One can spend hours exploring the different rooms and discovering the stories concealed within the walls.
Another highlight is the view of the city of Jodhpur itself. The vibrant blue houses contrast beautifully with the desert landscape, providing a captivating backdrop for photographers.
The conservation and upkeep of the fort are commendable, and visitors can immerse themselves in the history and culture of Rajasthan up close. The Fort in Jodhpur is a place that should not be missed when exploring this captivating region of India.

It's a major fort in the history of jodhpur. However, there should be clear instructions right at the entrance regrading tickets. There is one room selling entry tickets for Rs 600/-, which is less crowded and 15 or tourist guides waiting to pounce on you point you to that office; I think this is meant for non-Indian citizens, but cleverly, it doesn't say so. However there's another less conspicuous room right next to the entrance which is usually crowded and you can't read the signs, I went there, ignoring the touts, and discovered that it says 'General' and the price of entry tickets is Rs. 200/-. I am sure the management is well aware of this, but let things be as they are for whatever reasons!

Main Attraction of Fort is Museum and few artists who play instruments and sing folk songs.

The Ghanta Ghar, or the 'Big Clock', is a tourist attraction in Jodhpur that is popular for its close proximity to Sadar Bazar and for the lively market that surrounds it. The tower enchants visitors at night while they shop for the emporiums and try out the renowned Makhaniya lassi.
The clock tower building is attractive and in a spacious square. It was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh about 200 years ago. Unfortunately the area is not maintained. It is one of the tourist attraction point.

Ghanta Ghar or Clock Tower of Jodhpur is situated inside Sardar Market. Tickets are overpriced considering one is not allowed to go upstairs due to security reasons. It should be Rs 10 per person and not Rs 25. Without climbing upstairs, one can't look at the clock, and it's working, which may interest the onlooker. Otherwise, it's an old building that must be preserved and appreciated.

Beautiful building erected by the British. Well crafted. But , extremely dirty periphery . Piles of garbage all around , even at 11 am. The sanitation department really needs to pull up its socks. Traffic jam...and dog litter ...u need to b careful when walking in this area. Deliberately avoiding posting some of those photos.
Authorities can really make this place worth a ' must visit ' if cleanliness , proper parking, extended shops to be limited into their shop area. Somewhere order has to reign in....and it can b a wonderful place.

It's a nice clock tower and good to visit while in old city. Tickets (30 rupees) can be bought on the spot. Can climb to first floor for pics and a good view. If interested, one can climb two floors more to view the clock internal functions and gear mechanism.
Wouldn't suggest to go here just to visit the clock tower, but if in this part of the city, great to stop by, visit, have samosa and chaat at Shahi samosa next to it.

The tower was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh, from whom the adjacent Sardar Market takes its name. An ancient clock tower stands tall, preserved in the middle of the city, believed to be the sole source for tracking time for locals in earlier times. The top of this tower gives an amazing panorama of the city.
The surrounding area is too much crowded there is no parking available nearby.

Just a touristic center place with a view of the fort in the distance. A good meeting point to start your tour of the blue city and all the attractions around. This ancient 100ft tall tower, situated in the middle of the city, was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh. While climbing the stairs, once I started thinking about skipping the place from my visiting list, but as soon as I reached the top of the tower the mesmerizing panoramic view of the city made me stunned. You may also witness the setting of the sun just beside the Maherangarh fort from here. The clock tower is surrounded by street vendors selling artificial jewellery, clothes, accessories and many more. It was nice experience meeting with Mr. Iqbal whose family has been taking care of it. The clock installed at the top of the clock tower was manufactured by London's Lund & Blockley company which cost 3Lakh (clock, copyright & installation 1lakh each). I have reduced rating by 2 stars as I want to bring to the notice of the concerned authority who charges 25rs as entry fee to maintain proper cleanliness of the place having such historical significance.

Pretty & historic. Really pretty sight at any time of the day, but particularly so at nighttime with the lights coming on. Nice view of the Mehrangarh Fort from this location. Large number of small shops in the vicinity selling all kinds of traditional wares and crafts. Stay safe since the area's really crowded most of the time. The roads aren't paved ones, instead just stones are laid. So be careful while walking or riding a rented scooty.

Ghanta Ghar(Clock Tower) is very beautifully architect-ed with an amazing panoramic view of the nearby area. The ticket price is 25/- if you wish to climb up the clock tower. The climb to the top may be a challenge for some, as the stairs are steep and large. However, for those who prefer a more manageable experience, the stairs leading up to the viewing gallery are easily accessible.
The mechanical clock itself is fully functional, and the person responsible for its maintenance is enthusiastic about sharing its history and workings. The tower in the evening is very well-lit and looks more beautiful.
Since there is a main market around it parking can be challenging and be ready for walks if you wish to the nearby areas which include very famous sweet shops and eateries.

Just as the King built the original Taj Mahal in memory of the queen.
Beautiful scenic view of the whole city..the Blue city Jodhpur. Very close to the Mehrangarh Fort. A artificial pond outside makes the place beautiful and enchanting. The architectural marvel has photos of all the ruler kings inside it.

Jaswant Thada is a beautiful cenotaph located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. It's a stunning architectural marvel made of white marble, built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. It's known for its intricate carvings and serene surroundings, making it a popular tourist attraction. The surroundings of Jaswant Thada are indeed picturesque. It's situated amidst lush green gardens and offers panoramic views of city of Jodhpur. The white marble of the monument contrasts beautifully with the blue sky, creating stunning photo opportunities.

It's very easy to find, and a must to visit on your way to the fort.
The entrance fees are relatively low, as of November 2023
₹30 Indian nationals
₹50 Foreigners
There are guides available in the front, but it's such a small place that ypu may read about it before or while visiting.
The constructions and the garden is extremely well kept, couldn't see a single piece of trash. It also has great views of the fort and the city.
Stop for an hour or so, it's worth it!

Local people called as mini Taj Mahal of Rajasthan.
The Jaswant Thada is a cenotaph located in Jodhpur, in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh of Jodhpur State in 1899 in memory of his father, Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, and serves as the cremation ground for the royal Rajput family of Marwar
The cenotaph is built out of intricately carved sheets of Makrana marble. These sheets are extremely thin and polished so that they emit a warm glow when illuminated by the Sun.
The cenotaph's grounds feature carved gazebos, a tiered garden, and a small lake. There are three other cenotaphs in the grounds. The cenotaph of Maharaja Jaswant Singh displays portraits of the rulers and Maharajas of Jodhpur.
Jaswant Thada's entry fee is INR 30 for Indians and INR 50 for foreigners. If you want to take a guide along with you, you need to pay an additional INR 100 as guide fee for upto 4 members. For more than 4 people, the guide charges will vary accordingly.
The Jaswant Thada is an architectural marvel with intricate carvings. Famed as one of the most beautiful white marble cenotaphs, it was built in 1899 by Maharaja Sardar Singh in commemoration of his father Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. This white marble wonder of Rajasthan is often called the Taj Mahal of Marwar.
Jaswant Thada is a perfect example of architectural brilliance. The architecture is made of white marbles which are so fine that the outer surface of the whole building emits a warm glow during sunlight. Currently it exhibits a variety of paintings and portraits of Jodhpur rulers.

It's a small beautiful structure near Mehrangarh fort built in the memory of Jaswant the senapati who helped the king to get back his kingdom from Aurangazeb. It's made up of makrana marbles the same which are used in taj mahal. You can sit here and relax in the garden. You also get to see a good view of the blue city.

Very awesome and Beautiful place on the way to Mehrangarh Fort. A short walk in, the entrance fee is Rs30 for Indian nationals, and Rs50 for Foreign nationals.
The architecture is inspiring. Very well maintained garden. Nice water body and lush green banks on one end.
Very peaceful environment, great panoramic view of Jodhpur City. Mehrangarh Fort and surprisingly, Umaid Bhawan as well! Special props for the live instrumental music that made the place even better come here in winter only don't come in summer here.

A very beautiful place to visit in Jodhpur. It is very close to Mehrangarh fort. You should visit this place in evening and enjoy the view for a lake, sunset and blue city.
You will find space for your vehicle too and You have to take ticket to visit this monument.

The place showing the family tree of the kings with their kingdom period.
Very Welly maintained place.

If you visiting the Mehrangarh then don't miss this beautiful place which is on the way before fort.
The lake which beside of thada gives the feeling just like cherry on cake.
The man play's the Rajasthani traditional song on his instrument gives the richness to environment.

It is located just below the Mehrangarh Fort. It is a memorial created for the rajas and ranis. During those times, they were cremated there and made chatris for each of them. The place is developed with the name Rao Jodha Rock Park which has a little lake and ducks inside. The place is very calm and soothing with cool breeze. Main thing i liked was the place was clean and well maintained respecting the importance of that place.

A nice peaceful tourist attraction. Located along side Mehrangarh fort, it gets closed by 5 PM, a white marble structure looks beautiful during sunset as the light reflects on the surface. There is one main structure and there are multiple smaller structures within the compound. We'll maintained, tidy place. Add this to your visit list while going towards Mahrengarh fort.

A place you should definitely visit. It's near the Mehrangarh Fort. So, you can first visit this place and then visit the fort. The fort is huge, hence, it will take time.
There is a reservation just outside the place. Many mobile networks don't work there. Hence, keep cash handy.
For Photo lovers, you can have the background as a lake, garden, monument or the city.

Jaswant Thada is situated in Jodhpur near Mehrangarh fort. Parking for vehicles is available. While visiting keep an autorickshaw or taxi reserved as it would be difficult to get public transport from inside The entry fee is reasonable Rs 30 per head and Rs100 additional for the guide. Splendid scene of the lake and archaeology. Beautiful garden with nicely arranged plantation. Photography lovers have good spots for clicking.

Beautiful place but there's nothing to see inside. Whatever monument you see in the pictures from outside, that's it. Nevertheless you should visit it as it is just on the way to Mehrangarh.

This is a more of a memorial of the royal dynasty. One one side is the hall which has paintings of all the rulers of the dynasty which is a marble structure. Due to the height, one can also enjoy the sight of the blue City from here. On the other side is the cremation ground for the royal members.

Was here on a Saturday evening. Was not too crowded. The ticket counter closes at 5 pm but if you are already inside you can stay till 6 pm. A beautiful mahal along a lake and a decent view of the Mehrangarh fort and the city.
The heritage museum Umaid Bhawan Palace is a historic building that showcases the history of Jodhpur. It features an impressive collection of artifacts, some of which are from the region's past. The palace is also used as a tourist attraction and often draws visitors with its beautiful architecture and museum.
An architectural marvel. Beautiful monument. It was ahead of it's time then and now too. Since it is a private property and the king do stay in the Palace, so a very small part of it is open to the public. If you wanna see the rest, then you better be ready to spend in L and C😀. A lucky draw of two winners every day would go a long way in making the Palace more interesting to visit. But then the exclusivity of it is what is making the Palace stay on top of the charts in its category. Visit and clicked pictures ticked. I'm happy I did make that 2 hrs trip.

Nice palace at a very high height. The view was wow... Charges for Indian 60 rs and 60 more for parking. You will see a total of 7 rooms of umaid bhawan.and some vintage cars..avoid going in summer best for winter.

Very great and biggest and It's one of our heritage. The car collection is very fantastic. The museum is not very much big but very cinematic place and kings and queens items that was used. Great place good to go and explore 🫶🏻

The museum is open for public.
Can be completed in an hour as it's just a part of the palace.
Rest of the palace is hotel. Considering the time and things to see inside the museum 250 rupees is too high.
Some souvenir shops inside. And a vintage car collection inside glass chambers so cars are not visible properly.
Overall well constructed palace.

A small part of the huge Umaid Bhavan Palace has been converted into a museum and it is the only part of the place open to public. The ticket charges are moderate but parking charge is Rs. 100 for a 4 wheeler.
There is a good collection of clocks here. Painting on walls are amazing. It also houses a model of the place and a souvenir shop.
Kalpesh Shah — Google review
It is a place with very few rooms permitted for public with display of some really good items on display. The collection of vintage cars is good but if you visit after noon it's just wastage of time as due to reflection it is not clearly visible. Overall average experience. It just remained the place on tick mark list. Visit only if you have time left and mostly in morning.

Very good collection of items belonging to the Jodhpur royal family. They have swords, Armor, furniture, wine glasses, polo equipment, etc. There are also some nice pictures and portraits.
There are also detailed stories of two activities the royals were passionate about - polo and aviation.
A separate building houses some of their vintage cars as well.
The drive to the palace is very good; you can see the town spread out below as you climb the hill to get to the entrance.
Aritra Biswas — Google review
I really enjoyed the majestic building and it is the last royal palace to have been built. Can't see the whole palace as it is used as a hotel but the area you can see has wall art that is still bold and vivid in colour. The grounds are very well kept and the place is very clean, there are sprawling views of the landscape and a small collection of vintage cars.

Nice place to walk around. They have a good collection of artifacts. However I would not recommend any guide for this as there are detailed descriptions for each and proper walkways to guide you.
They have a room dedicated to clocks and this is something really fascinating. You will be amazed to see the vast collection and some even working till date.
You can read some of the history text and walk around the courtyard area
They also have a very good vintage car collection before exiting which should not be missed if you are an enthusiast

Had visited the museum early in the morning so was able to cruise throughwithout much rush. Overall a well maintained, clean place. Do ensure you get a guide, takes about 250 rupees but its much better than just starting at the paintings and artifacta without actually not knowing what it means.

Super palace built with proper architecture.
You have stand in queue for a tickets, we found long queue there. Arrangments for water already there. You can see palace as well as vintage car collection there. nice greenary maintained there.

This museum is a part of the Grand Palace and it's relatively small in size. The displays at the museum are fascinating, where you can witness antique furniture, paintings, clocks, and even cutlery used by the Royal family.
Also, there is a collection of vintage cars that is pretty cool.
The entrance to the museum is not wheelchair accessible but they do offer wheelchair facilities.
Naresh Darji — Google review
The Umaid Bhawan Museum comes across as a bit of a disappointment. There are limited galleries containing limited, unimpressive artifacts that do not truly reflect the grandeur of this great family. Perhaps the most striking part is the restoration of several large murals on the walls. There are a few vintage cars on display, but are boxed tightly behind glass that doesn't allow for a good view. One expected better. The palace itself is a beautiful structure, as visible to the public from the museum entrance.
Arjun Sarup — Google review
This place is completely under the TAJ administration. Part of the palace is open for the tourists. The museum inside the palace is well-maintained. I would recommend everyone to visit the palace once. This is the best of all the spots . Vintage cars are also there for display.

Recommended to visit after reading/gathering enough historical knowledge about the palace. Many antiques & equipments of yore find themselves on display here. This museum is for people who have a finer taste in things. Vintage cars are a good sight too.

Tourists/ visitors can enter this museum by entrance ticket during the visiting hours, which otherwise is a five star hotel which is open only for the room guests of the hotel. The museum is in a part of this palace with a large collections of royal items nicely displayed in glass cases. One should visit this museum to also have nice glimpse of the beautiful palace from the outside which is otherwise not open for local public and tourists

Four stars for the building - a magnificent piece of Rajasthan’s heritage. Perched on Chittar Hill, the highest point in Jodhpur, Umaid Bhawan Palace inspires with exotic views of the historical Blue City, vast sand dunes, and intimidating Mehrangarh Fort.
The last of the great palaces of India, the property houses a family museum, as well as the resplendent Umaid Bhawan Palace hotel managed by the Taj group.
The museum displays an amazing collection of items that belonged to the royal family - vintage items ranging from a wide array of royal weapons to stuffed leopards, antiques and fascinating crockery. There is a room with a multitude of time pieces on display and is in itself worth the visit, along with the collection of vintage automobiles. Viewing the cars is a bit of a struggle though, especially as the day advances, owing to the dark interiors and the reflection on the protective glass barriers.
On the negative side, one does get pestered to hire a guide, but the same could be said of most historical sites in India.

It's very great place and one of our heritage. The museum is not very much big but very cinematic place and kings and queens items that was used. The car collection is very fantastic. Great place i suggest you to go and explore.

It's like any other museum of Rajasthan. A very small museum to attract crowd towards Umaid Bhawan which is a Heritage hotel over a hill. It looks like a very new palace which is made just few years back but it's actually old enough as per it's history.
It also has collection of vintage cars just opposite the main building.
It has canteen and stalls of handicrafts goods. Entry ticket is around Rs.60 pp.
Mohd Irfan — Google review
Its an okayish museum with some fancy collections, where the guides are more interested about telling you which rich people rented it in how much price or which movie shootings took place rather than the architecture and history. Only two good points are the watch and vintage car collection. Better to go without a guide and take time to observe.

Very Decent residence of King of Jodhpur. It's converted in historical place and hotel . Umaid Bhawan Palace is an architectural marvel and a grand heritage hotel located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Spread over a sprawling area of 26 acres, the palace is a fine blend of architectural styles, showcasing a mix of Indian and Western influences. It was designed by renowned architect Henry Vaughan Lanchester and built by Maharaja Umaid Singh in the 20th century.
The palace is a perfect example of the Indo-Colonial style of architecture, featuring a unique combination of traditional Rajasthani elements and Art Deco designs. Rising up tall and imposing,
Here is many type of vintage cars and so many more in museum.

The palace is royal. Overall a good museum, with antique piece of arts and other used items of the royal family.
But entry ticket is rs 60 per person. And that is not worth. Well the museum is really beautiful. Antique things to see. But still. In 60 rupees they should also provide palace tour or anything else. It took less than an hour to see the whole museum.

The palace is one of the only the few tourist attractions of Jodhpur. It's devided in to 3 parts as a museum, kings palace and hotel. It's not a old palace, as made very recently. Usually the organise luxury weddings here. You can only access the museum as a tourist which is third part of whole palace. The display and architecture is beautiful. The garage with vintage cars would be the thing to add and one should definitely see.

My recent visit to Umaid Bhawan Palace was nothing short of a fairytale! This architectural marvel, once the residence of Jodhpur's kings, truly offers a regal experience.
The palace itself is breathtaking, showcasing a unique blend of Indian and Art Deco styles. Exploring the museum was a fascinating journey through the history of the Jodhpur royal family. The vintage car collection was a particular highlight - a true testament to a bygone era.

One of the largest royal residences in the world, the golden-yellow sandstone Umaid Bhawan Palace is a monument to Jodhpur's gallantry and romance. Most part of the palace is converted into a luxurious hotel.
If not staying people can still visit the museum and their collection of vintage luxury cars.
Open parking spot available outside the palace and one have to pay a nominal fee to enter their premises.
A perfect spot for photography I must say.
Arpita Podder Bhattacharya — Google review
The museum is very, very disappointing. The building is spectacular, but the royal family has reduced the musesum to 2 3 halls and some small rooms, which has a very limited display.
Most of the display is of the Royal family, but none of it is very special, and there is hardly any treasure troves of royal collections, and the museum finishes within a short walk.
The state should totally rethink the curation and concept . I will never come back or recommend.
Subhashish Mandal — Google review
A part in Umaid Bhawan Palace is converted into the museum which is open to public for Rs 60 per person which I think is too high considering the duration you can spend in that museum which is displaying antics belongings to the Royal Family, and their ancestors. If their would've been light and music show on the life of the royal family or something like that. If you need a guide you have to spend more money which should be included in the ticket.

The Mandore Garden in Jodhpur is an immense garden with a history dating back to the medieval era. It is a popular tourist destination, and features tombs, temples and statues. The gardens are landscaped with pools and gardens, and attract visitors throughout the year.
Definitely should be visited. The complex has very unique idols of Hindu Gods. The museum is also good and has informative objects. There are some temple structures which are amazing and magnificent in structure with very good sculpture. There are a lot of langurs in the complex. Public amenities are not good here.A must visit if you are keen to see the architecture and if you are photo expert. Mandore gardens is massive. There are cenotaphs, temples, gardens, a light and sound show, old ruins etc. Visiting all will easily take 2+ hrs.
Historically this place has association with Mandodari, Ravans wife. It is believed this was her home before marriage.
As of now the place isn't well kept, fairly unclean and litter all over. I heard that the Mehrangarh fort trust has taken it over and hopefully soon the maintenance will improve.

Mandore Garden is little bit away from the city which encompasses scenic garden, tomb like monuments, a temple of Bheruji, statues, Museum & the ruins of Mandore. It is believed that the Garden is named after the Ravan’s consort, Mandodari. I advised you to visit the place only in the late evening. The Museum showcases various ornaments, royal clothing, weapons and sculptural monuments. Don’t forget to witness the fun light & sound show of around 30 minutes which starts at 8 PM. The show narrates entire history of Mewar, Meharangarh fort and the city Jodhpur. Last but not the least is the ride of toy train which makes you thrill. There is ample parking available at the entry.
The fountain area was found little dirty and the slides were almost broken.
Note: Beware of monkeys here.

The garden is well appointed and enjoyed spending time there. It has a small cafeteria serving good food and the price was reasonable. There is good amount of parking space. There is a museum inside but that closes at 5 pm if you are planning to visit there, plan accordingly. There are few great elevated locations to view sunset. The ancient structures built in memory of old kings are awe inspiring and got some really intricate stone work. This would be great place to visit for someone interested in history. There are lots and lots of monkeys , though they seem peaceful, I would suggest caution. Very often the authority organises light and sound show , describing the history, its really fun, attend it if possible.

Beautiful temple on such height, there are steps to reach the temple or one can go via ropeway ( Rs 150 per person). Breathtaking view from the top of the mountain where the temple is situated. I would like it to be a little more cleaner. Visitors should beware of monkeys in the temple premises.

It was a fun cable car ride experience. We were waiting in line for about 30 minutes. There is a beautiful view at the top. Lots of langur monkeys. But there was a lot of garbage. We walked down and it was an unpleasant experience because there were heaps of garbage everywhere on the hill. It’s sad, especially this knows as a sacred place for Hindus.

Excellent place!
It's a half an hour trail by walk. Do experience the calm nature, sight of surrounding and listen to your mind.
None of the monkey (black faced) show any aggression! They literally sit on nearby trees and rock as monks.

You can walk from Brahma Mandir to a place where you can get an Auto/Camel ride to the Start point of Ropeway
The auto/camel ride point is about 1-2Km from Brahma Mandir. It's better to see one of these because it's a bit too much for walking on sunny days. Auto costs ₹20 per person.
The Ropeway cost ₹165 per person.
Best time to go is right after 2PM or close to 2PM as Mandir re-opens at 2PM. We didn't get any queue but when we came back around 3PM there was a long queue for Rope Way only.
The rope way system is good, not that costly either. It. It is a good option if you have time and energy to take the stairs.
There are 3 Cabins at once, and it stops mid way for people to get onboard and get off on each end.
For a better view, try to get on the end side of the Cabins/Cart.
There are quite some Baboons around the temple be careful not to annoy them. They are harmless.

The temple is dedicated to Goddess Savitri. It is a very strenuous work to climb on the hilltop but it is believed that the harder you work the more ‘Tapas’ are gained. Most Silent place adorable and beautiful view like heaven , also can experience a rope way . Just come and take mata rani darshan . Jai mata di

This temple of Mata Savitri is situated at the hill top around two km from Brahmaji temple. One can go to this temple by climbing stairs which are around 900 in number or one can go up by Ropeway. From top of the hill, one can see Pushkar and around areas and enjoy the place.

The Ropeway facility is great. The temple is fine. But there is no proper place for sitting to enjoy the great weather on heights. I would have also appreciate a tea shop or a small restaurant on top with nice views that would have been a cherry on the top.

If you like to try ropeway then this place is great.. There is quite waiting time to visit Savitri Mata temple by ropeway. If you like to climb by stairs then it's ok... Temple is nice and spend some time to enjoy the spiritual feelings and peaceful environment with high altitude...
PRAVEEN Singh — Google review
The temple is very beautiful and spiritual.
It's situated on the top of the hill.
There are two ways you can reach.
The first one is the stairs and the second one is Ropeway.
So now let me tell you how people choose to go there...if they choose stairs so either they had asked the mata savitri to grant their wish and then they go by stairs or some of the tourists go for "Bundi" the holy one I was a foreigner couple they were doing it and they told someone about it I just over heard it and got to know about Bundi also. It almost takes you 2 hours to reach the temple.
And If you are choosing Ropeway so it only costs 150 INR for one person for both sides it's a great option if You just want to visit the temple and add something new in your travelling experience and memories.
It can become adventurous and spiritual at the very same time.
When you'll reach the temple you'll see a bulk of monkeys they just stay there and sit and chill. Don't be aftraif when you see them but yeah make sure you take care of your belongings I can't say if they'll snatch one of your things and will run away!! Haha just kidding. They were really nice until you'll tease them.
So visit the temple it's really beautiful and gives a breath taking view.
It's almost 450kms up from the floor or ground whatever is convenient for one's understanding.
But it's just an amazing temple.
You can sit there make videos and take photos and have really great time with your family, friends, beloved and solo time also.
There is a mini market also where you can have snacks and tea.
A free parking lot also available.
It's a must visit place if you are visiting Pushkar.

Temple is located atop a hill. Views of the Pushkar lake and surrounding areas from the temple are superb.
There are two modes to reach the top of hill. First and preferred one is by Rope Way that costs Rs 165 both ways.
Ropeway trolley will take you to the temple in about ten minutes but waiting time for purchase of tickets and trolley is from 30 to 40 minutes. If you are in good health, you may prefer to climb around 1000 steps to the top and enjoy some great views on the way. It will take around 30 minutes to reach the top by walking - less than the time taken by Rope way including waiting time.
Temple closes from 1 pm to 2 pm. So when it reopens at 2 pm, there is a huge rush. Avoid 2 pm to 3 pm slot.

Excellent temple and wonderful experience visiting here today! The street leading to the temple and the temple itself were very clean, much cleaner than our expectation. Not too crowded so we could stand in front of the deity for 5 min.

The Brahma Temple in Pushkar, Rajasthan, is a truly enchanting spiritual destination. As one of the very few temples dedicated to Lord Brahma, it holds immense significance for Hindu devotees. The temple's striking architecture and serene atmosphere create a soul-stirring experience for visitors. The peaceful lake nearby adds to the charm. However, the temple's popularity can lead to significant crowds, which may hinder a sense of tranquility. Additionally, more information about the temple's historical and cultural significance would enrich the visit. Nevertheless, the Brahma Temple remains an unmissable place to connect with divine spirituality in the heart of Rajasthan.

Only temple of Lord Brahma on this land so this is a special place with no doubt. Beautiful and serene with the pushkar lake beside. Very divine and positive place. However, believe me the temple administration or the concerned authorities should note that the cleanliness, proper queue system and a thorough following of set regulations happen at this divine place. Devotees travel from far and wide to reach here only to find themselves being pushed and pulled in the crowd after opening of doors for darshan. There were people clicking pictures, carrying heavy luggage etc inside the temple. The policeman stationed there objected o about bags only to those who were dressed differently from the local people!! The announcement done by some temple person was mostly Abudive towards a few devotees that too in the Mike!! The serene atmosphere was disturbed by unrelenting croud who didn't want to wait for their turn.

The only temple dedicated to Brahma in India, it is one of the top 10 religious places in the world and the top 5 holy places of Hindus in India. Initially the construction of this temple was started by sage Vishwamitra, after which this temple was renovated several times under Adi Shankaracharya.
There is Pushkar Fair and the only temple of Brahma Ji in Pushkar itself which makes this place even more famous. Pushkar is a city in Ajmer district of Rajasthan. It is a very sacred site for Hindus and every year hundreds of people make pilgrimage to this place. Pushkar is said to have over 500 temples, most of which date back to the 18th century as the older temples were destroyed by the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Hence the temples were rebuilt and the largest and most prominent among them is the Brahma temple. The structure of the temple dates back to the 14th century but according to popular beliefs and legends, the temple is actually more than 2000 years old
History-
According to the Puranas, once Lord Brahma noticed a demon named Vajranabha, who was killing and torturing people. Then Brahma killed the demon with his special weapon lotus. During the fight, some lotus petals fell and when Brahma came to earth he named the place Pushkar.
Hence Brahma decided to perform a yagya or fire sacrifice at Jyeshtha Pushkar. However, his wife Savitri could not join him in this yagya. Irritated, he asked Lord Indra to provide him a wife so that he could perform the yagya. Then Indra brought before him Gayatri, the daughter of a Gujar, whom Brahma married. So Savitri reached the Yagya where seeing Gayatri she became angry and cursed Brahma that no one would ever worship her. Later he mitigated the curse by allowing his worship at some places, the most prominent of which was Pushkar.
Architecture of Brahma Temple Pushkar -
The Brahma Temple was originally built in the 14th century on the banks of the Pushkar River. You can reach the temple with the help of marble stairs. At the top of the main gate, a statue of a swan, the vehicle of Lord Brahma, can be seen. The main gate will take you to the main hall, also known as the mandapa. Then after this there is a sanctum sanctorum where Lord Brahma resides. In the temple a beautiful tortoise made of marble can be seen towards the sanctum. The marble floor in black and white tiles is filled with hundreds of silver coins offered to Lord Brahma by devotees. The walls here are decorated with attractive images of peacocks and Goddess Saraswati. There is also a silver door inside this temple which leads to a small cave which houses the temple of Lord Shiva. This idol of Lord Brahma is situated with four legs and four hands and his four faces are looking in four different directions. Lord Brahma idol is seated with his wives Savitri on his right and Gayatri on his left.

Supposed to be a very important pilgrimage centre for the Hindus. But the spirituality is spoilt by the local guides who persuade and emotionally blackmail you to make donations. The place has a rich history and is worth the visit. But just close your ears and walk straight to the lake and then to the temple. You definitely don't need a guide. They will say it is free of cost and then slowly start nagging you to perform some rituals and make donations.

Visited the Brahma Temple in Pushkar, the only one in the world dedicated to Lord Brahma. The temple exuded a unique vibe, and the ambiance was serene. Unfortunately, authorities didn't permit photography or videos, hindering my plan to share the darshan with my mom via a video call. Regular announcements reinforced this policy.

Rajasthan’s well-known religious city, Pushkar is the most amazing and prominent and is the home of the rare Brahma Temple in the world. It is one of the very few religious temples devoted to Lord Brahma all across the globe. Named the Jagatpita Brahma Mandir, this temple addresses the entire city and is the reason behind the rapid boost of Pushkar Tourism in Rajasthan. Construction of this temple dates back to the 14th century while Indian Mythology believes the origin of this temple took place 2000 years back. Settled close to the sacred Pushkar Lake, the temple is a highly prominent landmark of the city with a large no. of tourists flocking here, especially during the occasion of Kartik Purnima.
Brahma Temple Pushkar as written in the sacred scriptures of the Hindu religion, Padma Purana, Lord Brahma once came across a demon named Vajranabha, killing and torturing people. Viewing such atrocities, the Lord slew the demon with a lotus flower (his special weapon). By doing so, some petals of the flower fell at three places on the ground. All those three spots have today turned into the three sacred lakes, which are today known as the Jyestha Pushkar, the Madhya Pushkar, and Kanishka Pushkar.
Later when the Lord made his visit to earth, he started with the preparations of a Yajna (fire Sacrifice) at the Jyestha Pushkar Lake, to perform the Yajna undisturbed by the demons, Lord Brahma created a chain of hills surrounding it. However, his wife Savitri was not available for Yajna and was disruptive of the proceedings.
On this, Lord Brahma requested Lord Indra to send him a suitable consort to complete the Yajna. When Gujar’s daughter, named Gayatri was finally sent to take the seat next to Brahma as his wife, Savitri arrived. Feeling disturbed, she cursed Brahma that the lord would never be worshipped by anyone. Later on, she permitted his worship only in Pushkar. This entitled that there’s only Brahma Temple that is worshipped

The only temple of lord brahma built long back 2000 years ago👌👌 the entire city of pushkar has more than 400 plus temples but this is the most famous temple in the world. It is believed that it was built when lord brahma came at this point to perform a yajna , it was then this temple was built.
It is surrounded with holy water of pushkar lake which is considered very sacred. It is believed to worship the water and the. Visit the temple.
There are many local stories about the temple.
One of my favourite is that the city is named Pushkar because a Pushp (flower) felt from the hand of lord brahma and this holy water and city was formed.
All forms of gods have temples in each city nd town but lord brahma's temple is only found in pushkar.

The temple was dedicated to Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe. According to the Padma Purana, Lord Brahma was in search of a suitable place to perform a Yagna when the lotus was fell from his hand on the Earth. Miraculously a lake sprang up at the place where the Lotus touched the earth and Brahma considering it a good omen decided to perform his Yagna and named the town Pushkar. But when his wife Saraswati failed to join him, he married a local maiden Gayatri and completed the Yagna. On getting to know about this, an enraged Saraswati cursed Brahma that from this day forth he would be worshiped only in the land of Pushkar and nowhere else on Earth.
Alongside the statue of Lord Brahma, you'll find sculptures of Lord Indra and Lord Kuber at the temple entrance. Their presence adds to the spiritual vibe, giving devotees more divine energy to connect with when they visit. It's like a bonus blessing as you enter the temple.

The temple is one of very few existing temples dedicated to the Hindu creator God Brahma. The temple sanctum sanctorum holds the image of four-headed Brahma and his consort Gayatri. The temple is open for worship between 6:30 am and 8:30 pm during winter and 6:00 am and 9:00 pm during summer, with an interval in the afternoon between 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm when the temple is closed.

The Pushkar Lake is a sacred lake and Hindu pilgrimage site located in the heart of the city of Pushkar. It is surrounded by bathing ghats and temples, and is visited by thousands of devotees during major festivals and fairs. Nightlife around the lake is not very lively, but it looks more vibrant during major festivals.
Recently I visited this lake which is said to be of Brahma Lake and is famous for its yagya done here by Brahma, the creator of everything. The lake is beautiful and u feel the energy of the divine power here. Along this also is a Brahma temple. Best time to visit during Dusheera when there is a Mela organised here. It is the most holy place in Ajmer. Devotees all over the world come here to pay their visit to this temple. It OSD the only temple of Brahma in the world. Adi Shankrachaya is said to have built the temple here.

Pushkar lake is in the Pushkar town of Rajasthan state. This is considered as one of the most sacred lakes for the Hindus. The holy temple of the creator-God Brahma is located here. This town is also famous for Pushkar Fair.
The Ghats are constructed all around the lake. We visited this place when we were driving down from New Delhi to Ahmedabad. We decided to stay overnight at Ajmer on our way back.
Since we reached early at Ajmer, we decided to visit the famous Pushkar temple and lake, which is about one hour from Ajmer. We wanted to take some short cut so we asked the local people, but we drove through the horrible road and it took double the time. (I should have trusted Google Map.)
The lake was not clean and we avoided to take a dip into the holy water. Unfortunately, as expected the pujari was chasing us and pushing for bigger puja. Pujari or Pandit told the mythological story of Brahma and that this is the only temple of Brahma in India, which is not true.
The guide is not necessary but we hired a guide who hooked up us with pandit for puja. It is easy to navigate into the town and narrow market place. Lots of variety shops were on both the sides of the road which sells very nice artifacts at reasonable price.
Overall not a pleasant experience but I could check mark one item from my bucket list.

Pushkar is the only place where idol of Brahma (Hindu deity ) is worshipped . The lake near the temple is called pushkar lake . The lake is clean . Not allowed to enter the water . You cannot offer flowers and other pooja stuff to the lake . There's separate pools near it where you can do the same .

One and only religious place for Lord Brahma. One of the best and peaceful place in Rajasthan.
The water from lake was not entirely clean so please avoid from taking dip in the lake. Only thing that can down this place is the pandas and pujaris. They force you for puja and demanding a lot of money and after puja they throw all the waste in the lake and pollute the water.

Before going towards Brahma Mandir, there was a way to the left side for the lake.
Around/before Ganesh Ji temple on the way.
Thou this lake water not so clean. People use this place for अस्थि विसर्जन.
So you will see lots of people doing rituals for that.
Though there is a seperate Ghat for Bath than the Ritual one.
Places to keep shoes. On sunny days, the floor is just burning so much on bare feet.

Visiting this dargah is a part of spiritual upliftment that brings you peace and tranquility. However,I am completely disappointed with the so called khadims of this dargah who only care about money and that's it. They will give you only the slightest of recognition only if you give money, buy chaadar or flowers. Right from the start of the entrance till the mazaar is all about money. Before you enter, you have to pay for footwear, as soon you enter, people will heckle you to buy chaadar and what not, when you visit the shrine, the khaadims will command ( not request, not before, nothing)you to offer money as though without money your prayers will remain unanswered. Deeply disappointed with the state of affairs and administration of the dargah

One of the most visited places of Ajmer; the Ajmer Dargah is a Sufi shrine which is believed to be one of the holiest places in Rajasthan. Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, who was a Persian Sufi saint, is enshrined in this place owing to his secular preaching’s. He is believed to be the descendant of Muhammad, and it is on his request that he came to India. It is believed that if you pray for anything with a pure heart at the Ajmer Dargah, it is bound to be fulfilled.
This prestigious shrine built by the Mughal Emperor Humayun features a series of huge doors boasting beautiful carvings while you enter the dargah. All these doors are made of pure silver, and the intricate carvings are a treat to watch. Once you reach the courtyard, you can get a glimpse of the tomb of the pious saint, Moinuddin Chishti which is carved out of marble. On the top of the dargah, there is gold plating, guarded by a railing that is made out of pure silver and marble. There is a sense of peace and serenity inside the premises of dargah that you would not find anywhere else!

MAKSUD KHAN — Google review
My visit to Ajmer Sharif was a spiritually enriching experience. The aura of the shrine is undoubtedly divine, welcoming people of all religions. However, finding parking can be a challenge due to narrow lanes, and the market area can get quite crowded. The availability of private parking for a reasonable fee of Rs 100 was convenient. It's worth noting that while most priests seek donations, there's no obligation. The walk to the shrine adds to the pilgrimage feel. But considering the crowd be watchful of your belongings, kids etc.
One need to cover the head and place slippers randomly at some place (no proper arrangement). Please go with a free mind and don't get bogged down by priests asking for donations.

Wow, such a beautiful place to visit. You can offer flowers to both the dargahs inside. There are price ranges from 50rupees to 500. People inside that dargah ask you for money and don't give much but 50 bucks is enough. Carry enough transitions it will be fine. I ate famously Maal Puri from Khasim Ali shop it's right there near the entrance. It was good. Half kg is 130 rupees

Khwaja Garib Nawaz
At the time of the birth of Moinuddin Chishti, Sistan, East Persia, was facing plunders and bloodsheds. These intruders took advantage of Sultan Sanjar's weak administration. The people's lives and honour were always in threat. The Muslim nation's followers had been completely crushed by the ferocious Tartars. They outraged mankind in nearly every center of Muslim civilization and culture, which dates back 600 years.
Because of such situations father of khwaja Moinuddin, khawaja Ghiyasuddin Hasan, One day decided to pack his belongings and left Sistan for a safer location. He moved to Neshapur, the capital city, with his family. There resided knowledgeable Ulama and respected Sufis who taught intellectuals from all over the world moral and spiritual enlightenment. There were physicians and painters with exceptional qualifications living there. There were lush gardens and canals, as well as fertile agricultural areas. Khawaja Ghiyasuddin Hasan is said to have purchased an orchard with a windmill in this area in order to settle down for a tranquil life
heritage, the sack of Neshapur, coupled with the loss of his beloved parents, caused him to reflect deeply.
Hazrat Khawaja Muinuddin Chishti was a descendant of the famous lineage of Hazrat Ali, the Holy Prophet Mohammed's son-in-law and cousin. His dad Syed Ghiyasuddin Hasan was a highly religious guy and a good man.
According to historians, Khwaja Muinuddin Chishti showed early signs of his unique piety and willingness to sacrifice for others even as a youngster. When a lady with a baby came to meet his mother and the baby begged for food, the future newborn saint would make a sign to his mother to feed the weeping baby from her own breast. The sight of his mother doing this delighted Muinuddin much. He used to share his own meal with his playmates when he was 3 or 4 years old.
Khawaja Muinuddin used to ruminate for hours on end about the heinous scenes of the Khorasan massacre, which he had been witnessing with great pain for several years since his youth. His interest in worldly life and pleasures was rapidly dwindling as a result of these tragic impressions. He was deeply concerned and yearned to be free of such a mad world if he could only see a way out.
Anasagar Lake, a man-made lake that dates back to the 12th century, covers an area of 13 kilometers and offers hiking trails and boating. It was constructed by Maharaja Anaji and later modified by Mughal rulers to include enhancements such as the Daulat Bagh garden and five pavilions called Baradari. The lake's serene appearance is complemented by its surroundings, making it a top tourist attraction in Ajmer.

India's biggest inland salt lake, known for its photogenic landscapes & seasonal migratory birds.
Beautiful Place for tourists those want to expose Rajasthan. Sambhar City is a beautiful place for tourists. When you are traveling from Jaipur to towards Ajmer the small city comes into known Sambhar Lake. It is very small city where lots of heritage place can be seen.
The most popular attraction for the visitors is Sambhar Lake it is also called salt lake. The length of this salt lake is approximate 84 acres it is very difficult to see one end to another end.
In the winters thousands of new world come to there from all of the world. This is most attraction among the tourists.
If you are travelling to Sambhar Lake, it is a good practice to arrange lodging because there is not arrangement to stay. At this place, only a rest house could be found but on the peek it goes full and it is very expensive. Other option is for tourist camping near sambhar lake. The camps are available for tourist but the charges of camps could be high and can be exploit your tour budget.
The is good to hire a self driven car from Jaipur and travel beyond your destination. You can return to your hotel near Phulera but the Hotels in Phulera is not good. It is good to accommodate the accommodation in Jaipur.
The Hotels charges in Jaipur is affordable and could be in your budget.
It is a good time to visit to Sambhar Lake in winters or Spring but it is bad practice to visit in summer.

Shakambhari Jheel, also known as Sambhar Lake, is India's largest inland salt lake. It is located in the Sambhar Lake town of Jaipur district in Rajasthan, India. The lake is spread over an area of 22.5 square kilometers and is a major source of salt in India.
The lake is a popular tourist destination, especially for birdwatching. During the winter months, the lake attracts millions of migratory birds from all over the world. The most common birds seen at the lake include flamingos, pelicans, storks, ducks, and geese.

It is a beautiful place that is unfortunately taken over by goons. You can take your car here and camp but someone will come in a gypsy and demand 2000/- for just being here. The goons are a coterie of the people running the train and the hotels in the area that target outsiders.
It's sad what this beautiful place has come to be. Be careful of the looting attitude of the people who work at the railway station and the hotels around.

Sambhar salt lake is the largest salt Lake of India which is situated in two districts of Rajasthan one is Ajmer and second one is jaipur. Here salt is prepared by the 'kyaari' Method. Basically they store this water in small segments and then wait to evaporate the water and salts remains there.. They collect this salt.

Indeed a white salt lake. We went in Summers, May, off season. But people suggest best time to visit is either in monsoon or winters to see the migratory birds and lake. But the perk of visiting in Summers was that we were all alone over there so it felt like a private lake of your own, you could enjoy to the fullest as there was not even 1 person in peak Summers. Con of visiting in Summers is that it's very very hot, you will hv to hear up and protect yourself against the heat and take good care of your health. But nevertheless we got good serene pics. Couldn't believe such places still exist in India. Felt like a foreign place. Hidden gem of Rajasthan!

A big salt lake situated near Jaipur. Beautiful place with very high wind. There is a train line and a salt train is situated in the middle of the lake. No greenery or trees are present in the lake area.

It's a beautiful lake. It is infact the largest inland water lake in India. You can experience it's vast expanse, along with many migratory birds if you visit between October and March. It's spread vastly and you'll be mesmerized by it's strech and wonder.
You can also take a train ride to experience the entire strech of the lake.
Not only that, it is a place to also experience salt farming, meet the people behind it and learn so much. It's really one of a kind and it's just a drive/ one hour bus ride away from Jaipur.

I went to see flamingos at the Sambhar festival that has happened for the second time from 26-28 January 2024. The place was graced by different folk dancers and musicians. There were adventure sports being organised paragliding, paramotor gliding. There were fancy kite flying. Unluckily the no flamingos were sighted. And the sambar jheel is also drying and salt is crystallizing on top of it. It seems like a vast expanse of white. From the top (the paramotor gliding that happened during the festival), I was able to actually see the different shades of pink and green water that is beautiful to see.

It is an Amazing place. It like an open ground till eyes can see. Feels like watching horizon at the end. Amazing View. Love the vibes. Happy place. A place worthy of visiting Once in a Lifetime. Best Views come from Shakambari Mata Mandir. One of My personal Fav. Place. It is a place to visit During Monsoon. If you love to drive, then don’t go in Monsoon, as then You can drive over the Lake and drift too, as it an big open space out there. And also you can walk on it and the Vibes will on another Level. 😍

A beautiful place situated near dudu and it's 75 to 80 km from Jaipur city, basically it's a salt Lake where the locals make salt and supply in different cities and countries, it's a flat land with no trees or greenery, it's not advisable to visit in the rainy season, only issue to reach this place is that no sign boards are provided and even Google can't tell the exact location to reach this place.

Its ideal place for motorcycle and car adventures. This place is 90kms away from Jaipur. Sambhar lake has a potential to become a unique tourism and adventure destination.
Morning views are so nice. You may get problem with smell but that's the smell of salt production. You can visit Shakambhari temple and jain temple.
