Absolutely gorgeous town. Specially in the snow!! The Christmas market is also magical. Get lost in its streets and discover beautiful building and friendly people

This was during the Eastern market that they have on the weekends around Easter. It's fun they sell some food it isn't big like a Christmas market. But it is a fun place to go and has a festive atmosphere and all the shops are open even on Sunday. They sell some brats and some snitchel some ice cream and things like that

Very very old building in good shape. It was built in 1484.

Nice place to visit by foot. Very traditional. Near the city hall there is a place with very good beer. I recomend

Nice place to spend your time with friends and family... Go on Saturday evening, that is the best time...

It's quite an interesting little town with very historic wall around the old city that you can walk on part of it's obviously had a lot of money spent on it however it's probably only worth 1/2 Day trip.
one thing I can recommend is that the if you are to visit this place, them visit it by bicycle, because there are some excellent bicycle paths along the River and some in shade when it's hot and it is very lovely you can for example riding from 10 km North of Michelstadt and do it in about 35 to 40 minutes.
Bruce Cason — Google review
It's a beautiful place and Christmas decoration are really worth the trip (around 17 all the lights are led). Hence the pandemic everything was closed when we were there but at least there was aslo no crowd.
The Porsche Museum is a museum dedicated to the history of the Porsche brand of automobiles. The museum features some beautiful vehicles from the early 20th century to the present. It also has a variety of multimedia installations that are perfect for children.
Excellent collection of classic and modern Porsche cars. Interactive displays and audio guides in English intrigued our sons, who were happy to spend a few hours learning about the history of the Porsche company (including its involvement in WWII). Definitely worth visiting if you are a car lover.
Jim Stokes — Google review
The building is impressive to see. Selection of the cars is comprehensive and well laid out. Good coverage of Porsche's engineering era and innovations. The descriptions in the audio guide were useful and intriguing. Interactive spots like revving different engines were fun! You should take time to get the most out of it.

This is the best experience I ever had in my business trips.
From the moment you are inside of the build you start to feel all the good atmosphere created by all the personal working there.
The system used to guide you through all the museum is available in many languages making really enjoyable being there.
Car you only saw in book or in movies, you have now the opportunity to see them face to face, Amazon experience.
I really loved been there, thank you so much!

If you like cars at all, you will enjoy this place. My only issue was with the headsets - they only worked sporadically. The cars are cool as is the museum itself. They also have a place to grab some food and drinks and a gift shop.
Susan McGivern — Google review
One of the best museums ever. Forget the fact that I'm a Porsche enthusiast. The museum does a wonderful job of telling the story of the company as well as displaying some stunning cars. The location is convenient and the restaurants in the building are wonderful. The real selling point is how the cars are displayed. The cars are not behind glass or roped off, which really ruins pictures. They are accessible to be walked around and appreciated. For a Porsche person, this is a bucket list item.
Henry Becker — Google review
AMAZING! €24 for a family ticket which included parking, an audio guide and a take home souvenir lanyard. The museum itself was brilliantly laid out with so much incredible information and awesome cars. Highly highly recommended.
Alexandra Sarlos-Welsh — Google review
Was a little underwhelmed by the experience of the museum. It’s well-laid out and easy to follow, yet lacks a real depth of cars and history.
Paid €12 for entry, and took about 1 hour to walk through the whole place, despite being quoted longer on google.
Ollie Groth — Google review
This is an OK museum, a good range of cars - but not particularly big, lacks depth of content and other than a handful of exhibits not very hands on. I've done Mercedes, BMW and Audi - all much better than this. Travelled quite a way to see this and honestly felt let down given how good the Mercedes museum was the day before.
John Willis — Google review
Fascinating! Took my three young children here. Ages 4,5,8. With your admission ticket you receive a handheld smart device to punch in the numbers at each exhibit. This give you an audio description of the exhibit and other options to interact with the exhibit. Even for my three little ones this was captivating. A solid 2-3 hours worth of entertainment. There’s also food onsite with a kids menu that is reasonably priced.
Daniel Williams — Google review
A small but a very good museum! First of all there is no option to purchase tickets online, you have to buy them at the front desk. As for the museum, the food is very impressive for a cafeteria inside of a museum. Second, it’s a small museum compared to some others but it’s packed with interesting cars and stories. Definitely worth the visit. Car park is 4 euro for 4 hours, not bad!
Probox Pepper — Google review
Excellent history of Porsche and lots of cool cars. Our whole family including boys (13, 19, and 20) loved it! Well laid out. A great mix of interactive vs historical. Really cool building design. Exceeded expectations!

Porsche Museum is one of the must-go attractions in Stuttgart. Apart from the high popularity and prestige status of this famous brand, you can also learn German's high quality in art, design, manufacturing and technology. You can find both the old and new models inside this museum. Besides, you can also visit their cafe and purchase souvenirs in the gift shop. The transportation is very convenient as it is just next to the train station. Highly recommended!
Fat Cho — Google review
Very slick and polished just like the car itself.
Polite service all around and the cars were amazing too.
The audio guide works by you keying in the exhibit number and then deciding if you wanted to listen to the general history, technical information or even if you wanted a kiddy version.
The escalator takes you to the museum level and you work your office at the round and up (ramps not stairs) and at the top, once you are done there's another escalator to take you all the way back down (gift shop and cafe/restaurant)
We loved the cars and all the history.
There's an area where you can sit in an actual Porsche car and have your picture taken and printed out for free.
Definitely worth a visit!
If you go to the Mercedes museum after, show them the Porsche tickets to get a discount on tickets.

I visited the Porsche Museum and had a great time. The parking garage under the museum made the visit extremely easy. The staff spoke very good English and the displays were well thought out. So many historic cars and it was really cool to see them all in person.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, and I must say it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was immersed in a world of automotive excellence and rich history.
The museum itself is a stunning architectural masterpiece, blending modern design with elements of the brand's iconic identity. I felt an immediate sense of awe as I gazed upon the impressive collection of meticulously restored classic cars, prototypes, and racing legends on display. Each car was presented in a way that allowed me to truly appreciate the craftsmanship and artistry behind these remarkable machines. The knowledgeable staff members were also readily available to provide fascinating insights and answer any questions I had, further enhancing my understanding and appreciation of the brand's legacy.
The museum also provided glimpses into the future of Porsche, showcasing cutting-edge concept cars and giving me a glimpse into the brand's commitment to innovation and sustainability. It was inspiring to see how Porsche continues to push boundaries and redefine what is possible in the automotive industry.
In conclusion, my visit to the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart was an unforgettable journey through the rich history and exciting future of one of the world's most renowned automotive brands. Whether you're a Porsche enthusiast or simply appreciate engineering excellence, I highly recommend a visit to this museum. It is a true celebration of automotive artistry and a testament to the remarkable legacy of Porsche

One of the best place for automobile enthusiast who want to learn about the evolution of Porsche.
If we travelled by train to reach this place we will get discount on the entry ticket. Actual price is 10 euro and we paid only 5euro after showing the train ticket.
The exhibits are fascinating and we can see most of the Porsche cars in this museum.
Audio kit is very useful to know abt the exhibits in detail.
I love cars and I will visit soon with my son who is also fond of cars.
If you are an car enthusiast you must visit this museum.

Great place to visit. There are so many Porsche old and new ones.
It took 30 minutes to enter. Long line to get ticket, may be because it was Saturday? There may be restriction for number of people that can enter exhibition hall at once.
Heritage cars and modern Porsche, they all look beautiful in any angles. Each car is one piece of art.

Wow! What a museum. Sufficient car parking, amazing cars, wonderful history, being able to sit inside a few of there new pieces! It’s overall a great experience. If in Stuttgart I really recommend

Fabulous museum. Really cool hands on exhibits and some amazing cars all barrier free. Two main floors and probably the worlds best small gift shop. Small cafe onsite too. Easily done in 1-2 hours and plenty of seating for those family members who need to sit down while you look. Parking directly underneath and get it validated for free. Highly recommended.
David Brown — Google review
Dream place for race car lovers and old Porsche heritage fanatics. For everyone else it's a little underwhelming and a bit average. The scale of the museum is also quite small and can be easily covered in an hour.
Arani Das — Google review
Quite accessible by public transport right next to the train station.
Overall quite underwhelming compared to to the Mercedes Benz Museum I visited earlier but this may be because of the smaller range of Porsche products and singular design.
Can be covered in an hour but unless you are a Porsche enthusiast and if you have limited time you can skip this.
Tim Koech — Google review
Nice museum to visit especially if you’re into cars obviously. The building is very interesting architecturally as well.
The collection exhibited is pretty complete.
The museum itself as an infrastructure doesn’t seem prepared to receive so many people. There are only 2 toilets which really made a huge line of wait, the cafe was full, there were no seats, no one checked our tickets to go in the museum, felt like a lot of chaos and lack of organization for this flux of people !
Jessica Kassis — Google review
Great museum! It is really well planned so you get a good Porsche experience. If you have Deutschland ticket you get discount. They lend you a smart device to hear explanation throughout the museum (I recommend it, nice surprise at the end).
Very easy to get there in Ubahn.
You can have your picture in a Porsche taken and printed for free.
There are some things for kids, for adults also a simulator and an augmented reality experience.
A must when you visit Stuttgart!
Rebeca Dallal — Google review
Incredible museum. Highly recommended if you are in the area and into cars at all. Very interesting to see some of the history behind the brand.
Jason Leiter — Google review
Attention Porschephiles! You MUST SEE this museum and the car/art they have within the walls. There are 1 of 1 examples, there are some of the finest race cars to see, there are examples from nearly EVERY model line (focus on the 911, of course) and there are some superb examples of the models that are known to makes us almost cringe to look upon. ALL of this done in a most efficient, guided semi-spiral walk-through exhibit that leads to and from both the cafe and gift shop at the entrance. I KNEW I was in for treat, but this surpassed my expectations when we got to sit and take photos in a brand new Shark Blue 911 Targa! Stunning piece of art, seriously. The hand-held audio device for exhibit interpretation is complimentary for day of use and you get to keep the Porsche lanyard as a free gift. Very well done, nods to the man himself, Ferry Porsche, and hats off to the crew who put this museum together. 10/10 Recommend! --J

Great place for all automotive no matter the brand. Porsche is classic, technology, sport. A must visit in Stuttgart together with the Mercedes Museum. The ticket is 12€ already for an adult. There are discounts for groups. Available cafe, restaurant, souvenir shop, toilet, cloakroom. With a prior reservation, you can drive a Porsche model chosen by you. The price is according to the model, a driver's license is required, a credit card deposit of 2500€ and a reservation of at least a week in advance is required. Enjoy.

Königstraße is the main shopping street in Stuttgart, Germany, offering a wide range of shops, from high-end boutiques to popular chain stores. It's a bustling thoroughfare that's perfect for leisurely strolls and window shopping. The street is lined with beautiful architecture and has plenty of cafes and restaurants where you can take a break from shopping.
This imposing square is the heart of the city and houses some of Stuttgart's most historic buildings, including the Neues Schloss. It's a popular spot for open-air concerts and events, and is also home to the Old Castle and Royal Gardens.
A busy place during the day. Has alot of coffee shops and outside sitting places as well as shopping options. Nice place to hangout and enjoy sunshine

The Schlossplatz is absolutely stunning. You round the corner unsuspectingly and are immediately stopped in your tracks by just how gorgeous it truly is here. Went there with a friend in 2010 and it was a very impressive plaza and ideal for a walk on a clear warm day and nice place to take photos. Great monuments also and right near the Stuttgart Hbf station.
The park/plaza is simple to get to using U Bahn or S Bahn.
There are also some great nearby restaurants and shopping mall.
It can get crowded on a lovely summer day but if you like a crowd, then this is the place for you to enjoy nature and fabulous monuments.

This was a must visit if in Salzburg. It overwatches the entire city, and it was worth the hike up to go through the castle. Lots of interesting history, and the tower panorama view was amazing! the 11-14 Euro cost is minimal for the experience.

We had a nice guided tour of the area, explaining the history and advising of the hardships faced during WWII. It was very interesting. There were a lot of old structures - some original and some rebuilt after the war.

Christmas markets are going on at the moment. Amazing place and great city with beautiful people. Love to spend our weekend there with family and friends. 🥰🙏💖
Juliet Albert Buso — Google review
This place at Christmas time is beautiful with the Christmas markets. Would love to come back at another time during the year. The Christmas markets just kind of lead from one to the other - which end up being really big throughout stuttgart. I found the stalls at the stuttgart markets to be particularly impressive and beautiful. All so beautifully decorated combined with beautiful historical buildings. What’s not to love. There are approximately 287 stalls in Stuttgart, it is one of the oldest and largest in Germany.
The Fernsehturm offers visitors some of the best views of the city and beyond from its two observation decks. Daily television broadcasts are also available from this iconic structure, which was built in the mid-20th century as the first such tower in the world.
A must see if you are in Stuttgart. Good weather with clear skies would help a lot. Anyway, it's beautiful day and night. The entrance costs 9 euros and at the top is a cafe where I tasted a delicious apple cake and a very good coffee.
Nicoleta Cherechesiu — Google review
I popped up here for some lovely views of the city and the surrounding forests.
Me and my friends walked all the way there from the town centre, as there was a public transport strike. It took about an hour to get there, but it was worth it!
We got to the top and it was sunny, but within 10 minutes of being there a hail storm hit and we had to get inside...we went and had a drink in the café and enjoyed the views from there!
It's definitely worth a visit if you enjoy being up high and seeing the lay of the land! :)

217 meter tall TV tower. .!! A beauty standing between the forest cover in Stuttgart is a must see place. The place gives a nice view of the places around the city. . If possible also visit the restaurant on the top floor for a dine in clouds. . lastly don't forget to get your own tower mint on coin (good souvenir).

Visiting the Stuttgart TV Tower was a quick, fun, and beautiful experience. The sleek design and impressive height of the tower immediately caught my attention. The elevator ride to the observation deck was swift, leading to a breathtaking panoramic view of Stuttgart. The cityscape, with its blend of modern and historical landmarks, was simply stunning. The vibrant colors and bustling streets added to the charm. I enjoyed learning about Stuttgart's history and culture through interactive displays. Time flew by as I explored different vantage points and captured memorable photos. Sharing the experience with friends made it even more enjoyable. Leaving the tower was bittersweet, but the memories will always remind me of this swift, exciting, and beautiful visit.

Be aware that with Thunderstorm they will lock the outside balcony.

Really cool experience and deffinitely worth a visit! You get a panoramic view of Stuttgart and it‘s surroundings, and havibg been there now at the start of Autumn, the forest really brings a lot of color to the view!
We went in the afternoon and were able to catch the sunset at the top, which made the experience and lighting all the better! Also made it not very crowded!
On the downside, the wind is really vold at this time of year so be prepared for the cold temperatures up there 😬!

We visited here on a recent trip to Stuttgart. We could see the TV tower from our hotel window, investigated what it was and we'll fascinated by the fact that it was the world's first TV tower, and for a short while the tallest building in the world. A short train ride and we were at the foot of the tower. We didn't buy tickets in advance it cost about €10 for a pair of people to get in, the lift to get to the top took just a few seconds and we were greeted with some of the best views of Stuttgart. One thing to note it was incredibly windy at the top so make sure that you hold on to your glasses and any other loose pieces of clothing. We went up during the day but you can also go up to an evening where I'd imagine sunsets would be amazing.

With its 217 meters, the Stuttgart TV tower is the first of its kind in the world, serving as the prototype for many other TV towers. This pioneer is considered an aesthetic and architectural masterpiece, its timeless design remaining unmatched to this day. The Stuttgart tower sparked a global wave of tower construction.
As you ascend through the belly of the TV tower at a speed of five meters per second, your gaze automatically drifts to the ceiling adorned with a starry sky made of lights. The ride lasts only 36 seconds, with significant pressure on the ears.
There is free parking available for visitors, and atop the observation deck, there's a wonderful restaurant offering a magnificent view. Entrance fee is €10.5

It's a great place to go to show friends from abroad or another city, the region and city of Stuttgart.
Even at night you have a great view at the city with all it's lights
The tower is open till 10pm, the last elevator goes up at 9.30pm and lasts down at 10.30 pm.
At the top, you have two sightseeing Plattforms and a small Bistro Café. Small local dishes and Café are served.
At the ground floor, you'll find a shop that sells typical tourist goodies.
You will decently find something....

Great place to see Stuttgart! The view is really nice and the restaurant at the top of the tower is better than expected. Everyone is friendly and greets you with a smile, from the staff at the lobby to the staff at the restaurant and the elevator. Highly recommended, even if you just want to have a coffee, though the entrance price was a bit on the high side (10.5€ per person)

The first telecommunications tower in the world constructed from reinforced concrete, the Fernsehturm Stuttgart was completed in 1956.
There is a gift shop and queue area at the ground floor. From there, the lift whisks you to the lower observation deck at 150 meters (490 feet) which is enclosed. Then you can check out the upper observation deck which is open to the air.
We lucked out with great visibility today able to see for miles and miles and miles. And we got a snack in the cafe while looking out at the horizon.

Entrance is 10.5 euros.
Top there is a restaurant and terrace for 360 panorama view of the Stuttgart.
This is the first TV tower in the world.
If you love whiskey and have a chance to visit St. Kilian Disttillers, then you won't be disappointed. One thing I love about visiting whiskey distilleries is the history of how they came to be. While the process of making whiskey is usually similar, the story of how one came to be in the region is great, and St. Kilian is no different. Our guide was amazing and answered all my questions during the visit. If you have the chance, book the World Tour as you not only get the standard tour and tastings, but you also end the tour in their world whiskey room where you can pick a bottle of whiskey from around the globe and get a nice pour. Overall, this was a great tour with amazing whiskey and an amazing guide.

The tour is satisfactory. German tour wasn't a problem, but the English tour's explanations were a bit lacking. I was able to get to know the whiskey better by tasting it. If you take the bus, it may be a problem because buses don't run late at night. We were taken to Miltenberg Central Station by the kind and friendly Mr. Herman. Thank you again Herman! He is very kind and explained very well!

Amazing experience and distillery. The staff is all great, knowledgeable, and passionate about their whisky. They made it easy for us to set up a tour that worked with our schedule. We've toured a number of American distilleries, but learned so much more about their scotch style distilling process and new things throughout the tour which kept us engaged, entertained, and intrigued.
We sampled numerous whiskies and did not run into one that we did not like. The world whiskey room and whiskey lounge were incredible. We purchased plenty of whisky to share with friends and of course some for ourselves.
We can't wait to visit again.

The zoo is great, it is zoo and botanical garden. There are lot of magnolia trees. There are a wide variety of animals, aquarium, terrarium. A lot of small playground areas for children, a lot of places to rest, also a good restaurant. The parking house is very big. Great for a whole day with the whole family.
Emilia Kastreva — Google review
A great place for families to educate children about animals. Plenty of open areas for people to walk around and enjoy the beautiful gardens. Some of the enclosures for the animals are much smaller than you will find in zoos around the world. While there is a great array of animals, the enclosures need to be bigger.

A nice zoo and garden! A great day with the kids. Lots of walking but well worth the effort. The map was super helpful! The penguin feeding is at 1430 and sea lion approx 1515-1530

Beautiful and definitely worth visiting! A wide range of exotic animals and plants. For the botanicals, March was definitely the best time to visit. Unfortunately, a small part was under renovation. We spent about four hours, which was plenty of time to see everything.

We went at 12 pm entry time still couldn’t cover amazon and insect house so its better to go early and to carry your food.I felt low as i couldn’t see water lilies but they have wide variety of animals its worth going

A very well organized place where you can find all kinds of animals, plants, trees, birds, Amazon forest(replica 😉), varieties of flowers, gardens, penguins, a very huge aquarium and lot many.
Prefer to go in the morning having a heavy breakfast so that your energy levels will be high, fresh and not too sunny.
Ideal for any age group.

That's awesome! They have a wide variety of animal species, and we were able to see them up close. The area is spacious and not overcrowded. Moreover, they have really fun playgrounds for the kids. However, the food and drinks are priced like a restaurant.

Enjoyed time observing a beautiful Gorilla whom was very curious.
Their grounds are amazingly groomed and there is something to look at in every corner. The park is clean and the prices are so reasonable. Make the trip and don't forget to checkout all of the green houses and gardens

The exhibits allow you to be very close to the animals. The insect and butterfly exhibit even allows you to sit in their environment. Very clean and well maintained facility. We bought tickets at the gate on a weekday. Easy access by local train.

Unexpectedly this is a really good zoo. It has lot of species and has a great funfilled sea lion show.
We spent a full day here and enjoyed very much. Although one must be prepared to do lot of uphill-downhill which makes you tired.
We attended few feeding sessions and except for Penguin and Sea lion, rest were average.

The place is nice overal. Some of those animals had to little space. That part was sad. This was my last time to ever visit any Zoo. Plants were beautifull.

Great for families and alone. From flowers and plants till insects...fishes and elephant's. A lot to see from our great planet in very special and traditional facilities in the mid of Stuttgarts center...very good price performance ratio especially discounted child prices.

Great place for family visit. You can enjoy in amazing Botanical Garden, huge zoo within animals or having picnic in the beautiful garden. The entrance fee is 19 eur and you will need at least 4 to 5 hours to visit the whole place.

Beautiful park and well organized zoo. I loved the atmosphere there. I hope some of the animals had a bigger area to roam around though, especially the fishes and the reptiles.

Very nice and intensive place to go at. It is a huuuuge Zoo where you can spent easily three hours plus at (and even more with kids). Sometimes you may have waiting lines for certain areas, but this is rather seldom within the week. You have to opportunity to buy snacks, ice and drinks and (if you want) on the other end of the zoo is a restaurant. There are many places to sit and I would recommend to take a blanket with you to sit on the grass. I really liked it to be there, but to go without water or something to eat in between I wouldn't recommend. Nice zoo, good prices (two persons, kid and adult for roundabout 25 euros) and lots of stuff to see. Go for it! 😉

I visited the end of January, so I didn't get to see it in full bloom, but it was still beautiful.
I loved the botanical gardens and aquarium. There was a lot to see.
It was easy to get to on the U-ban.
Trena Kraft — Google review
One of the best maintained zoo and botanical gardens with good facilities. Construction to increase animals is in progress.
Penguin and sea lion feeding are a must visit event and filled with a lot of energy. A well planned and designed path makes it more accessible.
A little more English, especially in the entrance and during feeding, would attract more international visitors.
Overall, if you're in Stuttgart, it's the best place to spend some quality time.

Very nice Zoo with plenty animals too see. For people with kids you need one entire day to see everything. 42€ is the price for the Family Ticket (2 Adults + Kids). After 16:00 29,50€ which is more than fair considering all the animals and places to see. There should be more places to buy food and drinks inside the Zoo Garden. Also, the staff selling the products is quite rude and there is only Water and Pepsi Cola available ... No Coca Cola, Fanta or something else... The price for the water is 3€ and the pepsi 3.50€. Additionally, it would be nice if there is some kind of a program where you can see the feeding or have some tour guide... Other than that it was really good. Hopefully there will be more sharks in the future like it is written on the brochure.
The Mercedes-Benz Museum is a world-renowned museum dedicated to the history of Mercedes-Benz and the car industry. Inside, visitors can see some of the brand's most iconic vehicles from the past century, as well as models from more recent times. The museum is located in a sleek metallic building with a double helix design that allows for two parallel audio-guided tours.
What a great museum! We really enjoyed all the interactive parts of the museum and getting a walk through history viewed through the lens of the inventions and innovations with motorized vehicles. It was really fascinating and we spent more time than we planned. Plus the museum design was really neat! So glad we went!!

Fantastic museum!! I was impressed and it was cheaper than I expected. There were expositions from each decade since 1900. They were really really beautiful most of the car designs. The building itself was also pretty and quite impressive. Even the loft was cool.

Absolutely stunning museum designed to hugely enhance the amazing displays of historic and current Mercedes-Benz cars. We spent over two hours there and, had it not been closing time, would have stayed a lot longer.
We thought the price of €12 per adult was excellent value for money and, as well as truly appreciating the sublime architecture, we were massively impressed by the world history displayed in the panels down each of the curving walkways on each floor.
And to the cars! An awesome display of high quality vehicles of all types with individual plaques to explain their significance. No-one could fail to be impressed by the range, quality and descriptions for each vehicle on display. From the first historic cars to the most current Formula 1 cars, the range is quite unbelievable.
The toilet, accessibility and food facilities are all top class, as is the range of items to purchase in the shop. In all, a highly recommended experience which is too good to miss if you're in Stuttgart. Thank you!

One of the best automobile museums that I have been to (as an automotive enthusiast)! The museum was filled with not only detailed history about the car as a mode of transportation, but also world history so that one could understand the context of which the inventions or innovations were made in. Such a diverse collection of cars, iconic and legendary. 4 stars because I would have loved to see the latest cars from Mercedes-Benz. The newest ones in the museum were only concept cars from the past decade. Bit disappointed in this respect but all in all, worth the visit!

The MERCEDES-BENZ MUSEUM was amazing! When you first arrive, you take the elevator to the top floor and walk down the spiralling path. It starts with the earliest vehicles and the vehicles get progressively newer the further down you go. The museum was well laid out with plenty of lighting. The parking garage on the backside of the museum made the visit painless and easy.
Justin O — Google review
Impressive museum! Sadly I got an audio guide with a low battery and it died in the middle of my visit. You get to keep the strap of the audio guide as a souvenir by the way.
It takes around 2-3h to see everything depending on your speed. It starts with a chronological order since 1900. There is a lot of information for car enthusiasts and also for people who just want to learn more about the history of car making and the different inventions/technologies throughout the history.
The design of the building itself is amazing. There are lockers and coat storage places. Toilets, which were remarkably clean, are available not only during the start/end of the museum but there is one in each level as far as I remember.
At the end of the tour, some fun interactive activities are available which can also be suitable for kids, I think it was called science center or something similar. The gift shop had a very limited selection and was quite overpriced.

This was my first visit to the Mercedes Museum and I have to admit that I was really positively surprised.
The architecture is amazing and totally fitting to the themes that are shown.
Each of the eight levels tells unique stories throughout the history of Mercedes Benz.
It’s easy to navigate through the museum and just beautifully made.
Worth a visit! Or another one.

Great place to learn about the history of Daimler and Mercedes, and a bit of Mr. Porsche. You can see many of the original classic cars to rare prototypes. It’s nice to see big companies are helping to reduce environmental impacts.

The MERCEDES-BENZ MUSEUM is amazing place with plenty of vehicles. When you first arrive, you take the elevator to the top floor and walk down the spiraling path. A well-presented and arranged museum that not only encompasses the history of Mercedes Benz but also the history of the automotive world of cars.
There are many of beautiful cars, trucks,F1 cars, buses. Everything is explained really well and plenty of information about every vehicle. Few euros for a ticket is really worth. The tickets were well priced and included a free audio guide.
Good restaurant to dine in after your walkabouts. ne can easily spend 4-5 hours and if you are a car enthusiast even more. The museum was well laid out with plenty of lighting. The parking garage on the backside of the museum made the visit painless and easy.

We've been there on Saturday afternoon, didn't felt crowded. Museum is HUGE! Amazing experience, would recommend it to everyone. The entry is low in comparison what you see. You can even enter in some vehicles. Employees were mostly all very friendly. We can recommend also restaurant in museum, very cosy environment, friendly staff and food was delicious. 🙌🏻

Even for non car lovers, this place is still good to visit. What more for car enthusiasts.
Having gone to 2 famous car museums in Stuttgart, here’s my take for Mercedes Benz, the exhibits are informative and I like how the museum flows with time and also with other world events. You will see why the entire Mercedes Benz or (Daimler) group is so important to the history of Germany
The gift shops are well equipped with pretty nice souvenirs to get from.
There are cafes and a restaurant.
There are also locker rooms and coat rooms if you are bringing bigger bags you can store them and go for your tour.
Went alone and spent about 2.5 hours or so in there. Staff are helpful and friendly.
This museum is more family oriented and there are 7 levels of exhibits.
I enjoyed myself especially knowing the history of Germany and the company. Ever wondered the names of Daimler, Benz, Mercedes and how are they related and why is it being used interchangeably? What does the logo stands for? You will get your answer here.
Quak Yong Sheng — Google review
The Museum is very nice. Starting at the top floor you work your way from the invention of the first engine, to the first motorized carridge to the first car and get a good historical view of transportation as we know it today. We enjoyed the exhibits that were much more than just looking at cars. The museum shows connections between world events and the car industry avoiding controversial issues.

Superb experience! They have 8 floors in total, every floor has its own story (and year). bring back to the old history of cars until the future or up to now.👍
Suggestion: heard they give discounted ticket if you enter in the afternoon, about 50% disc if im not mistaken.

My time at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart left me with mixed feelings. 🏎️💔 While there were positives, some aspects fell short of my expectations.
The museum layout and historical insights into Mercedes-Benz vehicles were well done, and the reasonable entrance fee was a plus. However, the lack of significant changes over the past 5 and a half years was a bit disappointing. 🕰️🤔 I hoped for fresh additions to keep the experience captivating for returning visitors.
A downside was the presence of unrelated political propaganda along the walking route between floors. 🚫🗳️ This seemed out of place and distracted from the museum's automotive focus.
The souvenir shop at the end didn't live up to expectations due to high prices. 💰😕 It dampened the overall value after paying the entrance fee.
I recommend avoiding the museum during summer holidays due to large crowds. 🌞🚶♂️ This can detract from the enjoyment of the visit.
In conclusion, the Mercedes-Benz Museum has highlights, especially for car enthusiasts, but updates, pricing, and overall visitor experience could be enhanced. 🏁🚗

A great place to visit when in Stuttgart. I have been there twice now and I am mesmerized each time. Their organized manner, way of storytelling is just amazing. We started at the very beginning of human civilization of using horses as a mode of transportation. From there, the discovery and use of motor vehicles, steam engines and fuel engines was just marvelous.
A huge collection of collectibles and historical facts made the entire experience worthwhile. This was really a great experience for us.
They also had a nice cafeteria and souvenir store along with a simulation centre.
Tickets are subsidized for students, kids and senior citizens.

Very affordable entry. (Paid 3€ each for students.) The super welcoming staff speak multiple languages are very friendly and smiling at you when they see you. Museum was great with many exhibitions and cars as well as a unique layout different to other museums which made it more enjoyable to walk around as it gave you views of the cars you otherwise wouldn’t see.

Absolutely loved it here. Organisation is excellent. Range of exhibits is vast - including cars, buses, racecars, etc. Wide range of German and works history also covered. Audio guide is super helpful. Took us about 3 hours to explore the entire museum. Cafe is expensive for what it is (€8 for two coca cola bottles). Public transport is good to here. We cycled from central Stuttgart no problem. But trains also available.
One of the best places I've ever visited. Thank you.

I very much enjoyed my tour of the Mercedes-Benz museum. You take an elevator ride up to the top floor and begin with looking at some of the oldest cars and engines and walk your way down to today’s modern automobiles.
As you journey through over 100 years of car history, you get to enjoy looking at all the cool cars, trucks, and other various automobiles Mercedes-Benz have manufactured.
I recommend getting lunch in the cafe/trying out their restaurant in the basement as well and making a day trip. It took me about 3 hours to get through everything and eat both breakfast and lunch here and I came by myself, so I’d say prepare at least 5 hours if you’re visiting with a group/your family.
Kloster Bronnbach is a 12th-century riverside monastery featuring charming church gardens and a cafe housed in a former orangery. Our visit to the Kloster was fine.
Staff at entrance was friendly and the souvenir shop was cute but the inside of the Kloster isn’t really worth the entrance fee (5€ for adults without a guided tour)
Some rooms were completely closed when we entered.
Maybe need to rent a tour of monastery next time? But still way too pricey for 8€ to take a guided tour.

It was a good place for train n miniature lovers!! I was quite excited to have a close look into the large miniature (working model expo), but that is still under construction and we could not enter in there. That was a much disappointing part. With that I felt 10€ entry fee to the museum(only the history and the models displayed inside locked glass shelves) was not so worthy. You can see the small miniature in the store without paying any entry fee.

Amazing!
The whole history of the company, from the beginning to recent days presented in such an excelent way!
The whole "train world" in basement, and another one in front of museum are above all expectations.
Huge amount of love, knowledge and work was necessary to present all of this to the visitors.
I'm not a train models enthusiast, but I realy appreciate all the effort you invest every day, and want to express my gratitude for your existence.

The Märklin Museum and Bistro are Closed undergoing reconstruction until approx September 2019, when it should be open for the 2019 Göppingen model expo.
The Gift/Model Shop, Technical Centre and the Fund Grube are open and very well stocked with all the current stock as well as the Complementary display Items from all the leading Brands
There are items in the Fund Grube that ard at a reduced price, either below quality for shipping or extra items like loads for wagons or special items.
The Buildings are fully accessible with a very wide stepless entrance. It's very well laid out with good space between the display cases, there are toilets and lockers behind the Technical Desk.
There is a wooden train-set to try and keep the littlest ones distracted while you look through the Book shelves.

The new building is beautiful and very modern. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, even if their English is not great (about as good as my German). The trains are amazing in their detail and beauty. There are not just trains for sale, but all the things you may need to make a miniature town: people, buildings, foliage, animals, and supplies to assemble it all! They sell all the different sizes of trains that Märklin makes, and you can spend quite a lot of time (not to mention money!) here!

This place is awesome! If you like model trains and especially a fan of märklin then this place is a must. The historical review is impressive. The full size ho layout is super fun to watch. Could spend hours here. Of course then could spend lots of money of 'souvenirs' (read model trains).
The 10 euros is well worth the entry to the museum. Sssooooo much fun!!
The Kunsthalle Würth museum is an interesting venue that houses the collection of industrialist Reinhold Würth. It seamlessly integrates medieval and contemporary architecture and showcases religious sculptures with great attention to detail. While a deep interest in religious art would enhance the experience, it remains a worthwhile encounter for everyone, even if not all information presented appeals to each individual. The museum also displays works by renowned artists such as Picasso and Rubens, making it definitely worth a visit.

Kunsthalle Würth is a wonderful place. Let's start from outside. From above you can see Schwäbisch Hall and the surrounding. Than there i a gift shop at the entrance, it's not expensive but, yes there is a but, there are so many beautiful art gifts so you will need some amount of money. You have time to decide what to buy in the coffee shop which is on the same floor. And about the gallery. I have seen a few exhibition in Kunsthalle Würth, and that I will not describe. The Art you need to feel, same as this place.

A nice tower to see entire view of Aalen. Have routes for cyclists as well as hikers. Great spot.
Also have a small cafe near and the french fries there are great!

Very nice 20.9 meter tower. Great view of Aalen and surroundings.
At the base of the tower there is a playground for children, lots of benches and tables, and a restaurant, but it was closed (July Saturday afternoon).

The place is about 200m above city level and may take around 40-50 by foot from the city centre. At top there is a restaurant and a observation deck. From the observation tower one can see complete city of Aalen.

Small and intimate private museum with both an ongoing exhibit and permanent exhibits. Well-structured and explained. The replicates of exhibits from antiquity are very well done. You can see a lot more here in a safe space than in Egypt or Iraq. Definitely worth a visit. Afterwards, just head into town for a wonderful glass of the local wine and some tasty local sausages. The entire museum is wheelchair accessible.

The minimalist modern building itself right smack in the center of this idyllic Franconian wine town is amazing. It's perfectly suited for exhibitions. I wdnt to see the exhibition on the Franconian tribes and really loved the varied and well illustrated presentation including informative videos, illustrations, artefacts and models. The audio commentary is exactly right, not too long but informative. Sometimes I would have wished to see illustrations to have an idea how the artefacts were used.

Nowadays, millions of #Ukrainian people are suffering, in many cities, people are under a bomb attack, 131 children were killed by Russian forces. And you still continue to work with them. Why money is more important to you than lives?

This is a well-financed regional museum (funded by a local "Mittelstand", family-run industrial company), with a permanent exhibition space that includes some worldwide offerings (replicas of ancient Egyptian and Persian reliefs, as well as copies of Roman, Greek and South American items) and a large section for a range of rotating exhibitions. We didn't visit the permanent section, so I'm not sure if other language descriptions are available for that, but the temporary show we did see in autumn 2021 -- an archaeological show on the Germanic Frankish tribe that settled the local area after Roman times -- was in German only. (This is not a criticism -- this town, while pretty and historic, isn't a big site for foreign tourists, so it's probably not worthwhile to devote resources to translations -- if you decide to visit, just enjoy the view of interesting art or cultural pieces). Note that they're on winter break from early November 2021 through late March 2022.

The international family-owned construction systems behemoth, Knauf, runs this museum which is located in the center of Iphofen. Apart from the permanent exhibits, which display marvels in gypsum (copies of famous ancient heritage pieces from antiquity), the museum also houses special exhibits from time to time. The current one, "Als Franken fränkisch wurde," is an archeological gem on how Franconia came to be. There are several archeological exhibits, especially from Dornheim, showing local history starting the 6th century CE. It takes around two to two and a half hours to get through the Franconia exhibit. Entrance fee EUR 5, including a handheld device that walks you through the entire museum. For those who are interested, there's also an exhibit on precious gems. After the museum, just step out and enjoy a lovely glass of local Iphofen wine at any of the wine bars or restaurants situated along the market square.

Currently under construction work, but the 1h guided tour was definitely worth the visit and provided great insights into the life at and history of the residence.
Very engaging and would recommend.
I especially liked learning about the everyday life at the residence.
I would also suggest to spend some time in the close-by gardens and doing a city tour, for example with the free digiwalk Ansbach audio tour which is available in English and German.

Beautiful residence with plenty of history. Tours are only in German, and they do offer a pamphlet in English, but not everything is covered that the guide talks about and points out. There's construction in several rooms that s supposed to last for the next 3 years. So much of the furniture is covered up. I would suggest adding an audio tour in different languages. Otherwise, it's a great experience and an amazing price! (€5 per adult and kids were free)

Only wish they had an English audio or assistance with such a large Army presence in town

I would not recommend this tour for young children. This was a wonderful and informative tour. We were supposed to be on a German speaking tour (our choice due to time) with English booklets on the exhibits but because we were the only one the guide did the tour in English. The art work displayed was amazing. They are in the process of renovations (April 2019) so some exhibits could not be viewed, however they had photos of them. The run every hour and it was less than €10 for myself and my husband.
Wunderfull place to go to relax and walk. You truly can spend hours there. Seeing some lakes, animals and different plants. A non crowded nice area to be around.

A must visit and dogs are allowed too, every other Sunday they are even allowed to be off leash for play dates. But still recommend to keep them leashed unless your recall is good or other dog owners want contact. It’s just a decent manner to do so between dog owners :)

Needs a lot of work and almost doesn't have any flowers (at least it didn't in April) not much love is given to this place as it seems abandoned and run down, even though the Schlosspark could be something really amazing if some work were REALLY put into it. The café does make good Flammkuchen, I give it that. The restaurant was closed because "of the season" which was quite disappointing. The place was a let down but hopefully it can turn into something great with a little bit of work and advertisment! Good luck 🤞
Julian Brasse — Google review
The Schlosspark is a stunningly beautiful garden, especially when the rhododendren are in bloom. One part of the park is inspired by the Japanese style, while the other part - which is still being extended and worked on - features a moor and has been left to nature. You can easily spend 3 hours in this park if you explore all the hidden paths and maybe have a seat on one of the many benches, to enjoy the views. It's one of my favourite places to visit! Don't forget your camera. ;)
Harburg Castle is a well-preserved fortress built in the 12th century that boasts various architectural styles and offers stunning views of nearby town. Its medieval parapets, towers, turrets, keep and red-tiled roofs are perfectly maintained and almost seem like a movie set. The castle's history is narrated during tours that bring to life the ghosts that allegedly haunt the place.
Spur of the moment stop off after driving past it as we travelled along the Romantic Strasse. We didn’t get a chance to visit inside the castle because we got there after they closed. But the exterior is wonderfully maintained with great views of the town below.

My first castle, and I was very impressed. The facade definitely hid some beautiful rooms within. We had a guided tour and I loved our guide, she had a real passion for the preservation and the history of such a well kept historic site. She also had a great sense of humor. I would definitely put this on a list of must see’s visiting Germany. We did not tour the town, but it looked absolutely beautiful from the castle.

In my opinion, its mandatory to stop here.
We did the guide inside the castle which was ver interesting. We got lucky that everyone doing the guide were not German, so the guide was in English. Usually it's in German

Beautiful castle 🏰 We took the guided tour and it was great. Detailed, but not too much to be boring. The tour was in German(witch not all in our friend group understand), but we had English brotures and the guide talked very well in English too.
And the views around the grounds are amazing too.
We did visit the restaurant too and ate amazing German food.
Definitely recommend spending some time here ☺️

Harburg Castle is run by a trust (since 2000) and they host weddings, special events,, castle tours, and a small number of rooms for those who want the full experience. they have a small restaurant with an outdoor patio
they, along with many others, experienced difficult times during Covid and are attempting to recover (as of May 3, 2022).

One of beautiful and historic medieval cities or castles in Germany is the Castle Harburg. 3 weeks ago we made a trip to the castle and spent some hours there. The castle is well preserved and refined. I would like to recommend you to make a guided tour. A professional historian or a skillful curator guides and explains rich history of Harburg entertainingly and amusingly. Entry tickets were much cheaper than I expected (2€-4€). I' defininitely recommend you to visit the castle. I hope photos I'm posting will motivate you to visit Harburg.

Harburg Castle in Germany a must to visit while in this Bavaria, here history come alive for us amidst a bustling atmosphere of tourists. This stunning medieval castle stands as a testament to the past, meticulously preserved in remarkable condition. As you explore its majestic rooms, halls and medieval architecture, expect to be transported back in time to a world of knights, kings, and queens. One can glimpse into the past while leaving you in awe of its timeless beauty and amazing surrounding landscape. I tried to take a picture without tourists, and it was almost unpassable in the mid of summer.

Interesting castle with its own story of how each space is used over the years. How the weapons and buildings were used. Including the wooden wall peep hole for fighting with muskets and arrow maybe.
The most recent addition is... One of the main hall is a wedding venue with tall ceilings, super windows and wall decorations.

You must do the tour to see into the buildings of the castle. You might have to wait a bit for the English speaking guide. The tour takes about an hour

Massive castle very close to Augsburg, not as known as many others in Bavaria, but also worth a visit. You can buy entry ticket for yard, or extra for guided tour around the castle.
Castle is being built upon for past 800 years so it does have rich history behind it.
You can also take a walk through the forest around the castle with some nice views, as well as enjoy a meal in a great but bit pricey restaurant.
Overall great package for a daily visit.
18th-century Baroque palace, with ornate interior, frescoed staircase & collection of Old Masters.
The guide was rushed through and in german but a definite visit. Depictions of asia on the ceilings was very intresting but my obvious favourite was the grotto room. You could smell the sea in the room.

Lovely old stately home, we did not go inside even though that is possible. at the time of visiting the cafe and toilettes were open to the public and one could walk in the grounds of the park, this is not a park with ornate garden features but a large park with a lake and grasses were deer can roam. There is ample free parking and covid restrictions were applied at the time of our visit.

Beautiful castle. The architecture is so gorgeous and the information you receive throughout the tour was very interesting. They provide children with a questionnaire and when they answer all the questions, they receive a small price at the end. What makes me give this a 4 out of 5 is that you can't walk through the rooms alone and can only take a tour so if there is something you want to look at longer you can't because the group moves on. Also absolutely no cameras are allowed inside the castle so that was a bit of a letdown.

Quite a nice place to visit. There is an information sheet in English. Only a few rooms are available for visiting. They have chamber music concerts, which would be a better thing to attend here. Outside, the gardens and parkland are well worth a visit. There is a herd of deer with young fauns at this time of year (July).

A top tip= Go on a FRIDAY morning to get the 2 for 1 (adults) tickets for a 1.5hr cruise. Sit up the front if you can. On a sunny day it's relaxing, beautiful & picturesque... take your camera.

It's a blast, huge, great park for a family with kids under the age of 10 or 12. It's really kitchen. It is a bit run down. It has a nostalgic charm. I thought the entrance fee was a little high, compared to similar amusement parks. The food was reasonably priced. There is a portion themed for the wild west of the USA. It was super fun to spend time in a park with a section themed for where our kids were born.

This amusement park is ideal for a family with young children, my daughter is 3 years old, she was able to take part in all the attractions, except for two of which she has not yet reached the size. had. The Imperial Castle of Nuremberg is a majestic castle complex from the 11th century that includes a royal palace and gardens, offering breathtaking views of the city. Originally built as a court, it later became infamous for being used by the Third Reich to enact oppressive laws in 1935. However, its most notable historical event was hosting the 'Nuremberg Trials' after World War II.
I had a great time walking around the castle, appreciating the history and contemplating what my home country looked like at the time the castle was built and bustling with activity. I went on a rainy, dreary day but I still had good views of the surrounding area.

Wow, wow, wow. Excellent castle visit to the Imperial Castle.
Located at the top of a hill, overlooking the city of Nuremberg, the Imperial Castle is reached after a serious climb uphill. Not difficult for the fully able ,it is a long rather arduous slog up to the courtyard.
*******,Handicap VERY difficult , if not impossible, not made any easier by the cobblestone road .*********( that said, I did see a gentleman with a walker!!!)
The museum entry is 7 Euros, 6 if you are a senior or a student.
Wow----super excellent presentation and displays of the medieval history of this castle 🏰. Armaments, armor, clothing, artifacts, explanations and visuals were superb. One of the best. Great value for the money!!!!

It was amazing to visit this imperial castle of Nuremberg. The constructions were protected with 3 layered thick wall with around 10 ft thickness and 2 stages of different heights. The tunnels, the rooms, the towers, the gardens, the dungeons, the underground pathways designs and the city view points were awesome to see. I felt like I entered in the Game of Thrones series.

Amazing medieval castle that have been kept so well.
This is truly a castle with super strong defense.
Not far from the city center market, easy to walk to. Free to walk into it and there is a good view of the old town.
Even though Nuremberg was 90% destroyed during WWII, the old town was rebuilt and restored according to the pictures they had of the old buildings and structures. So, much of the history is preserved. Otherwise, if they had decided to build everything new, there would not be not much of the past left to see.
Very impressive old town city market with a gorgeous fountain and church, and you can buy fantastic food, flowers, gingerbread cookies….
If you are a WWII history fan, then you have a lot more places to see.
Really worth visiting.

It's incredible how well-preserved the castle is post-World War II. Its grandeur and size are truly breathtaking. From the top, overlooking the town, you understand why it was strategically placed there. The surrounding city walls in Nuremberg are still intact, offering about an hour's walk around them. Navigating the city is convenient; everything is within a 30-minute walk from the center, allowing you to discover hidden gems like bridges, churches, and historic buildings along the way. The castle itself offers free entry and plenty of areas to relax. Exploring its various sections, like the converted horse stables and food storage areas, is best with a knowledgeable local guide to delve into its history. Though it requires a bit of uphill walking, the panoramic view from the top makes it all worthwhile, showcasing the city's landmarks and beauty.

This iconic castle is likely more interesting from the outside than the inside.
Due to destruction during WWII, most of the interiors are redone as a museum. The anvient weapons and armor displays are nice.

I still can't believe that the castle is still in such good shape after the Second World War. Breathtaking, massive, magnificent. When you go up to the top and look out over the town, you get a sense of why they built the castle where it is. I cannot get over how impressive it is. Also, Nuremberg is still surrounded by the great city walls. It takes about an hour to walk around them. That's the great thing about the city. You can walk anywhere and it never takes more than 30 minutes to get to the other side of the city centre. Best of all, while you are exploring the city on foot, you will find many other gems on your walking adventure. From bridges to churches and other lovely old buildings. Enjoy!🏰✨️

The Evangelical Lutheran Parish of Nuremberg is a medieval church in the former free imperial city of Nuremberg in southern Germany. It was badly damaged during World War II and later restored. Amazing cathedral with Gothic style architecture. The building is clearly visible in this small town with few tall buildings. The twin towers looked massive from a distance, and even more imposing up close. Inside is richly decorated. There are many religious artifacts, paintings, sculptures, and relics. The Frauenkirche is a true treasure! Its historical importance and stunning architecture make it an essential destination. Rebuilt after the war, it's a delight for history and architecture enthusiasts alike. Apart from its scenic views, the area hosts numerous talented street performers. It's worth taking the time to appreciate their efforts to make a living. Visiting this church in Nuremberg was a treat for both history and architecture lovers. Although crowded on weekends, it's still worth the wait to enter. Located in the old town area, its towering spires and intricate design are impressive. Inside, the high ceilings and detailed interior add to the experience. Donations are encouraged, and there's a shop and information boards to learn more about its history. A worthwhile stop on the way to the castle area from the main train station.

This is a visually beautiful area of Nüremberg and the Christmas markets are a bonus, they truly are a annual treat.

One of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen in my life. The details are incredible, and when the sun goes down, the church shines. It’s a must see.

I really liked this Gothic style church. Inside you will find one of the most important works "Angel's Greeting" by Veit Stoss, Madonna and Child from the 14th century and a sacramentarium created by Adam Krafft.

An absolute gem! Its historical significance and breathtaking architecture make it a must-visit.
It was reconstructed after the war. For enthusiasts of history and architecture, this church stands out as an amazing and positive destination.

St. Lorenz (St. Lawrence) is a medieval church of the former free imperial city of Nuremberg in southern Germany. It is dedicated to Saint Lawrence. The church was badly damaged during the Second World War and later restored. It is one of the most prominent churches of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria.

Impressive church. Very beautiful 🤩 under the sun.

The church was originally built as a three-aisled basilica in the Gothic style around 1250, then expanded by an imposing late Gothic hall choir between 1439 and 1477. It was seriously damaged 😔 during the Second World War and it took about seven years to restore it.

It's one of the churches that must be seen in Nurnberg because it's old and with an impressive architecture. I attended a Christmas concert there and the acoustics was perfect.
Altstadt - St. Sebald, located in Nuremberg, is a charming area known for its annual Christmas Market and the 11th-century Imperial Castle. Visitors can explore medieval dungeons and tunnels through guided tours, as well as visit unique museums such as the Toy Museum, Hat Museum, and Amber Museum. The Albrecht-Dürer-Haus offers insight into the life and work of the renowned artist.
The Documentation Centre Nazi Party Rally Grounds in Nuremberg is a museum that provides an in-depth look at the history, politics and why behind the rise of Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich. The grounds also served as a large venue for Nazi rallies. Today, it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Germany.
The Dokuzentrum offers a really interesting look into WW2 history. I would really recommend going there if you're in Nürnberg

A very interesting place. Very informative displays. Visited as part of a walk around the entire site (which took a good couple of hours) I would have rated it higher if it hadn’t been a temporary exhibition. Compared to the similar Document Centre we visited in Munich (which was free, this one wasn’t) there was far more information available.

a small one floor exhibition about the history of the area and the surrounding Monuments. entrance 6€ in an outside office. the building itself has an impressive glass platform on the roof, located just at the entrance of the Congresshall.

Looks like it's having a major overhaul (Oct 22) so the interim exhibition is not much to look at. The building and structure is pretty amazing though. Look forward to visiting again when it's all done.

The museum is currently in renovation. Currently, there is just one small part arranged. The entrance of 6 euro is a bit steep for what it is now, but already to stay in a real place of the history that you explain is a big plus. Then, even though it is temporary, it is well done and give you an understanding of the area.

I've been here 5 years ago and I loved it! I went back a week ago and didn't really like it cause they are under construction so they arranged one only big room where you can read about the Nazi Rally Party and see pictures about it, still interesting tho.

Interesting place on many levels. Reading from the exhibition makes you think about why it was important to have the war trials in Nuremberg.
The sheer size of the grounds is scary. The incomplete concert hall is huge.

Little bit of dark history. Places like this may be hard on some but the lessons must be shared and taught so that they never happen again.

Temporary exhibit v informative with more experience of the victims and survivors of the awful regime. This must never happen again.

Though currently under construction/refurbishment, it was still a good visit. Inside the museum there were a lot of displays covering the timeline and usage of the area since its inception to present day as well as memoirs and excerpts from historical documents. The walk around the really grounds was nice and the Zeppelin Grandstand was particularly impactful.

Heavy stuff, but super enlightening.
I can’t imagine how crowded it would be on a busy day, but my party and I were able to take our time and not feel crowded.
I recommend several breaks for fresh air like me if stuff like this can weigh you down.
Several tours walked through while we observed, read, contemplated, interact with displays, and processed all this information ℹ️.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions, it is alright to not know something. We are all here to learn.
Time should be taken if distractions tend to be a problem, because I have issues staying still at all moments. There is a lot to take in and it’s easy to miss things.
Take pictures, ask questions, and be willing to listen 🎧 👂 .
