Lovely fountain in the central market area of Konstanz surrounded my shops, cafes and restaurants.

Fun place, bronze animal water fountains. Satirical themes, eg, the three headed peacock with papal hats poking fun at the the 13th century conundrum of three popes. Nice place, great city.

Nice fountain but when I visited it was not working.

Gotta check out this his people. It’s right along where people pass by every day and it is very easy to miss.

Lot of exciting shops all around this place. Very crowded but beautiful location.

Nice and free museum, where you can get a lot information about our mistr Jan Hus. It is cared by Czech people and for mě, it was a first time that i heard our Czech language in 4 weeks on my way across the Germany. So it was so Nice and Happy to be here and it was one of my goals to saw this Museum and also they celebrated 100 years :)

Free entarance, well organized, spent an hour there!

It does a good job telling the story of Jan Hus's travel from Bohemia to Constance.

Interesting historical information regarding Czech priest, reformer and martyr Jan Hus who was executed in 1415 in Constance. This house is his last residence and is the setting for the museum. The entrance is free at the time of my visit, however donations are appreciated.

Nice exhibition about Jan Hus with some interactive features. The admission is free, but you can donate money tu support the museum. The lady at the reception was very nice and provided us with additional information on Jan Hus related places to visit in Konstanz. She also speaks Czech, which felt a bit like at home :)

Unfortunately we had no chance to see the museum. We had a dog (me, my wife and my daughter) and when I walked inside the house the lady at the desk start yelling in German, than in Czech, that dog is absolutely not allowed to be inside. We were inside like 1,5 metres. She told us to go outside and wait until she cleans the floor and than she closed the door. We were like What? Is she real? What is going on? It was quite raining outside and after couple of minutes she didn't showed up we gave up. My wife wished to see it. So if you have a dog don't even try to come here. 🙁 I still give 4* as I believe the museum must be very interesting but attitude of the lady was very unpleasant so 1* less.

It's lovely park, during summer it's full for 24/7 and it's more like city beach than a park then. During winter it's quite and nice there for a walk or to sit down for a bit on one of numerous benches. There is free public toilet right after the bicycle bridge.

Very nice by the Rhein. Plenty of space and a small Spielplatz for the children.

Beautiful park on the lake front. But unfortunately it is not kept clean. I don't understand why the poeple throw away cigarette butts on this nice place.

It's a small park on the bank of the Rhine right next to the bicycle bridge, on the Pertershausen side. There are benches along the river bank. Nice to sit and watch the river or bask in the sun.. have a picnic if the weather is nice, or make snowballs on snowy winter days. One can access the water easily for a lovely swim in summers, or icy dips in winters (yes, I saw people do icy dips here!). There are a few playthings for children..a seesaw, a trampoline etc. I love the weeping willows and the conifer trees.

Nice spot to have a swim and relax: - toilets available - a truck where you can buy beverages (non alcoholic) - big trees for the shady chill we all need - different spots to grab food nearby. No entrance fee which is nice as well. Just hate all the littering. It's mostly small stuff like beer caps and cigarette buds but that is just as annoying and shouldn't happen in my opinion.

Quite enjoyable, friendly neighbourhood. Big enough to have some space and spend some summer hours.

Nice spot - if people would take their cigarette butts and other garbage to the (available) bins. Depending on the spot, it's quite a hassle to prevent toddlers from harming themselves. Otherwise a nice location to chill out.

Awesome museum,especially for someone like myself who is a member of Archeology Cymru(Archeology Wales)fantastic history of the city and its surrounding area,absolutely enjoyed our visit.

Really Really interesting museum. We came on a Sunday and it was free. Bags are put in a locker for €1 which you get back. Hand sets are available in English and were very useful. History of Konstanz throughout the ages with special area about the period of WW2. Very sobering. Little cafe on 1st floor and lovely staff both there and on reception

Really nice experience. Definitely worth visiting. We even went with the kids and afterwards had a coffee in the garden.

What a small and nice museum!😍 and it’s totally free. You could see many history objects like gem, paintings, Modells and coins about Konstanz. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere ☺️

I haved pants with 700Euro, my shoes 6250Euro, my t-shirt 80E and my parka 190Euro, this man who look like a gay with the suit Verry tight on him ( maxim 200euro ) he said me I am not allowed to go inside

Very polite staff in a friendly atmosphere. Smokers area is partially open but smoke is absorbed efficiently. Few slots, but worth visiting. Make sure you are dressed appropriately!

Bit of an 'insider tip' pizzas are really good, nice choice of seating, make sure u reserve. Picture is not directly from restaurant but only a few metres away.

A beautiful place by the lake, the view is amazing. Very delicious food at the restaurant and great staff.

The restaurant is very nice with a charming lake view. The staff is quite friendly. The food is also good and of good quality but it does not shine for any particular reason. If compared to the cost I think the restaurant is quite pricy (almost too expensive). In summer and in the evening while it is very nice to eat on the lake view terrace there is a real issue with mosquitos which almost make the staying outside quite challenging. The price and the mosquitos are unfortunately making it only a three stars.

We had a schnitzel with mushroom sauce and a pasta with pumpkin and cheese. They were tasty and huge portion. However, they did not turn on the heater outside for us even tho we asked. So they have them for decoration (?). I didn't like this behavior.

We had very good food, the portions are very big! Not very expensive. Beautiful ambiente next to the lake. The waiters have been a little bit unfriendly.

Yesterday evening we wanted to eat an apple strudel at Konzil because we heard that it is really good. It's true, the strudel was good but the service was really poor. The attitude of the waitress was really rude because we didn't eat a full course dinner. The waitress took out the bill before we wanted to leave and she threw the change on the table. I was expecting a high class service, taking in consideration that this restaurant is one of the highly rated in this region. You should pay attention to some of your employees attitude and focus more on client service. Have a really nice day.

Tasty German and Austrian style food. I had Knödel, although they were shaped like steaks or bread loafs as opposed to the traditional balls, it was tasty and the port atmosphere was great. The service was friendly and the vibe was good.

Great for dinner, definitely book a table before coming by. We brought two dogs with us and could sit on the terrace. Delicious food! Service a bit slow because they wait many tables

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, generous portions, delicious food and try the Konzil Sekt, it's an excellent, dry sparkling wine akin to a champagne!

Food: Very good, well seasoned, nothing to complain in terms of flavor. It is a bit expensive for the size but then again, it's a rather expensive restaurant so one cannot expect massive dishes for the prices. Service: Extremely nice waiters, super fast service, no issues to pay with cards. Location: It has a beautiful view and it's hard to miss given the size of the old town and that it's next to the train station.

Cool place in the city center on the waterfront, very tasty food. The fish dishes are amazing. There is a veranda and great design inside. Friendly staff and great service. I recommend to visit.

5 star all in all.. food was great, service was almost super great, except for the lady who took some time to bring us the mustard and was sneezing on the floor while doing the service.. Atmosphere was perfect. And they gave us a piece of cake for my husband's birthday, worth revisiting..

Very popular place for drinks and food in Konstanz. Near Port and train station of Konstanz, with nice view to the Bodensee (Lake). Friendly staff but I have to wait for the food very long as well for my desert. First I come in, no one want to give my proper service or menu card, That is a minus. Need waiting some minutes more, before someone came. It wasn‘t crowded at that time. Total stay just waiting for food and desert total 40 min. Lunch only take 20 min. Another minus here. Food the steak was good but desert the creme brulee was ok, nothing special as I excepted for the price. They mixed up my desert first Apfelstrudel instead of Creme Brulee. I would rather choose another desert at that time or not desert at all. For a better service and better quality of food value of the money, I prefer another location in Konstanz. Konstanzer Wirtshaus for example. Good food and value of money. No long waiting for foods.

Food was great and quite pretty too. Very big portions. Prices more than decent and location ok. The outdoor tables were under an attack from wasps which bothered me a lot but it's not their fault for that. The only truly bad thing was our waiter. He left the plates on the table for ages after we finished which attracted flies on top of the wasps and he took his time with bringing the check too. Overall an ok place with really good food but they could do better.

So sorry to write but we faced a behavior that wasn’t friendly. It was around 21:15 and would like to get cup of coffee and just entered the rest. The waitress was angry to see us in the restaurant and shouted liked we are closed. But all tables were almost full and people were standing/eating/relaxing. Not a good attitude by the waitress, please consider before you sit there.

Nice place. The lady who runs the place is pretty strict and very hard working. She keeps the place very clean, and the food on top. The workers are professional. Minus 1 Star because while I worked there I used to be scared of her.. But she's great.

Lively and popular restaurant that serve dishes around the theme of potatoes. We ordered a green salad as a starter, and thereafter, my wife took baked potatoes, and I took a dish of vegetables and a backed potatoes. The portions are generous, and the food tasted good.

Das Essen ..war mega!! Excellent place, service and food as usual! A nice spot in the center of the city to enjoy good food based on potatoes and now that it.is warm we can sit outside and enjoy a cold beer 😋

Very delicious pizza. 30% of the dough is potato flour. Nice and crisp. And the ricotta spinach one was really next level 🥰

Very good food. The outside seating is wonderful except we had yellow jackets constantly buzzing around us and getting in our food. Other wise, a great Sunday morning lunch.

Schnitzel was not good, but Kartoffelsuppe was delicious. Also Sweet Berries tea was amazing. Pretty good place.

Had a nice generous Nordic plate with an oven baked potato, sour cream and shrimps in a tasty sauce. The sauce wasn't heavy and creamy at all, it was more a mediterranean flavourful light sauce that connected elegantly with the sour cream of the potato. All in all a happy combination. Good coffee and friendly service, too.

It was raining heavily outside, I came here to warm up and eat. But the waiter didn't let me in. I showed him all the documents on my phone. A vaccine and a foreign passport, all in English. But I was denied entry as the waiter needed a real passport and not an app. I was humiliated. This has never happened to me in any other restaurant! there was enough vaccine everywhere! Terrible! You ruined my evening.

This a very authentic German restaurant which has some amazing spare ribs and Beef tartar. The spare ribs were cooked to perfection with some cranberry sauce. We also tried some specialty fish dish and it was quite decent as well. Ambiance is great and staffs are really very friendly. I gave 4 stars to this place only because vegetarian food is very basic with some veggies, potato and sweet corn. I wish to see some more vegetarian varieties at this place for the same price.

Great food, meat was perfectly cooked. The spieße we ordered, looked and tasted great with the recommended sauce from the waiter, but the skewers were so hot my boyfriend burned his finger. Would have been better and safer next time some tissue wrap on the skewers or like a sign „i‘m hot“ to extra warn the hungry guests

Very fortunate to be able to get a table without reserving, as the restaurant was very busy. We had a wonderful meal! The food is excellent value, the steaks were great cuts and the service was exceptionally efficient. The servers are incredible, they work so fast, yet they manage to still be friendly. We'll definitely be back!

Extremely professional service, beautiful atmosphere and amazing food. You can observe the chef cooking your meals in the open kitchen.

This is one of the rare good places in KN to dine out. The food quality is always very good. The menu offers a few and well prepared meals. The wine list is relatively short, however it offers a selection of good wines with a focus on local produce.

Nice little place for something small to eat or drink. Cosy places inside, lots of places outside. The dishes were great, as was the wine. The staff was great as well, welcoming and friendly.

One of my favorite places for eating. Very good cusine and amazing tastes. Has never disappointed me. The only thing I will point out is the service. They need to work . They lack of politeness.

An average restaurant. We went there on a Saturday for our first drink. The chocochino was abominable. One of the worst I've ever had. On the second round, I opted for a goat's mozarrella and tomato salad. It was good, but unfortunately with not much taste of goat cheese.

Have been communicating for a week now with a simple question: ' do you still offer your evening set menu - 3 course dinner selections' and to date I still do not have an answer....I wanted to book a table for 10 for this weekend and also asked for a wine list by the bottle...but no news...it appears that they have enough money and aren't the least interested in my measly reservation for 10 ...

Seafood Festival every Tuesday must be reserved. It was an exquisitely pleasant and sophisticated Restaurant. The ambience was amazing. Food was lovely and satisfying. If you are on a diet, it's a good place to eat here coz' their serving was just enough.

Very interesting place. They offer a variety of small plates which were all delicious. Unfortunately as far as I understood today was the last day of this menu, but I'm sure the new one will be just as good. Shown here are the salmon ceviche, filo pastry with marinated artichokes, and strawberry tiramisu. Not pictured here, we also had the Sommerwein, golden apple, and Quincy Joe. Loved everything.

One of the best Restaurant in Germany, with excellent Service, nice view and delicious food.

Well I wanted to find something healthy and found in their menu a kind of salad with chicken, where also was written that potato will be boiled but they brought French fries which is not completely the same. Chicken were good and vegetables too but potato disappointed me. Meanwhile I found inside they have a really beautiful space-interior and in case of rain you may seat there. And of course outside you will find a lovely view. However, prices were moderate and clean toilets.

Nice beer garden with a nice view. The building itself is nice as well and has a historical interior. The Problem here is the food quality. In the Beer garden you have self service. The Salads taste like they are out of a Bucket, the roasted Chicken can be really dry.. but the buns are good! in the other part of the restaurant you can eat a la carte and there are "all you can eat" buffets on the weekend. Fodd quality here is better but still not top.

We had a great dinner outside. The atmosphere was outstanding. The location is perfect by the lake. Menue with lots of great options. We enjoyed the food and the surrounding.

The food is average but i really like the vibe of this place. The staff is very friendly. Edit: we were asked why we dont tip after a business lunch when we were rushed to order the food as the kitchen will be closed soon, and also another 30 mins wait for just deserts.

My wife and i waited patiently till the waiters had time for us and when the food came, my plate was ok, but my wife's food (breaded pork fillet with mushrooms sauce) tasted funny. She ate it anyways and i had a bite of that. She spent few hours in the restroom throwing up the food and with diarrhea. I am sure the mushroom sauce was the issue. Since I had just a bite, my diarrhea was not so bad, but it happened. I know this could happen in other restaurants, but I regret i didn't walk away while we were having only bad service.

We came here to have a drink and were seated next to the bar section. We were sat quietly chatting about what to do in the evening and suddenly one of the staff came from behind me unannounced and pushed me and my chair forward saying: "This is a restaurant, not a hotel." This was completely unnecessary and unprovoked. This staff members rudeness is the reason for the one star review.

Exquisite food (meat and fish), size and quality/price 10/10, large portions, friendly staff, beautiful terrace on the Rhine

The (Austrian) chef does a good Strudel, and generally all Mehlspeisen, cakes and pies are great. The venue is nice, but not completely cosy. The selection of spirits seems also quite nice, but I didn't try any. Prices are typical for the region, frequented by tourists. Sadly, it's sometimes crowded and a bit noisy. I'd love to have a quiet day with a newspaper in one of their armchairs, watching birds on the Rhine - but quiet isn't this places forte.
