Strange place! You will see how one's madness gives birth to wonderful things. Hundreds of stone faces look at you from everywhere! It's a bit hard to find, but it will surprise you.
Sonya Miteva — Google review
An open air museum; one of a kind. Its incredible how the artist managed to carve out stone to create these faces and caves. It's not well sign posted or promoted either, however, we found it easily with google maps.
Lorraine Vella — Google review
Interesting collection of stoney heads crafted by one artist through many years. An example of an obsession.
Marcin Zabielski — Google review
I’ve given this place two stars because I did not find this place personally enchanting, I am not the biggest art fan, but I can usually make some sort of understanding & appreciation of most things, even the place admits they don’t know what the artists inspiration was or why he carved faces carved in stone & trees. The grounds are nice & very well kept, make sure you bring cash to pay as the card machine struggles with connection.
Bobby Digital — Google review
Fascinating place which cannot be compared to any museum or other "arty" location. Go there when it's quiet. You enter a magical world of a self taught sculptor who created around 3000 heads in stone and some in tree trunks. Apparently he suffered some head injuries in a fight in the US (+ brain damage?) and upon return to Sciaccia lived a secluded life, creating his own world and refusing to sell any of his works.
jozias tump — Google review
To see the the beauty of stones and the imagination Mr Bentivegna put into his outsider art put us in another place for the time while there. You forget about what's going on and take in the quietness and passion of his garden. Some might have made fun of his talent but he saw something that no person could model for.

It's a nice piece of Sciacca history. The castle was smaller than we thought. Beautiful view of the ocean, and town. Short walk. We weren't able to go up the tower. But I bet at night it lights up and is beautiful to dine in.

Pretty underappreciated place with small amounts of tourists! A very nice view from the castle walls! You can make great photos from there! The castle itself is pretty much in ruins, but there is a tower still standing with some historical and recreated weaponry and armor. I also liked the recounting of the castle's past, which you can read at the entrance.

Dit is niet open om te bezoeken en ligt ook niet mooi voor een foto. Derhalve niet de moeite waard. De haven daarentegen wel. Ristorante Italia offers delightful cuisine accompanied by impeccable customer service. Although some patrons found the price of a single portion of brunette bread to be slightly excessive compared to the usual four slices obtained for four euros, the quality and taste compensated for it. The establishment prides itself on serving exquisite dishes carefully curated for their harmonious blend of flavors. With its superb seafood offerings and attentive staff, Ristorante Italia has become a preferred dining destination for those visiting Sciacca during their extended vacations.
We had a great lunch a few days ago. The owner and chef Nino was in the kitchen. The son Vincenzo was our waiter. Good, service , location were very good. Talking with both father and son was also a highlight of the meal. Fresh seafood and pasta ! Recommended !!!

Initially, the individual intended to dine at Lampara restaurant but was turned away due to its busy state. However, they spotted Ristorante Porto San Paolo from their balcony and decided to give it a try. Upon arrival, they climbed up some stairs and found a bustling atmosphere. A kind woman welcomed them and provided a table with a view of the port. Although the kitchen closed early that day due to a public holiday, this did not pose any issue.
Wow, absolutely amazing. Great view, great staff, and the food is perfect. Had the fritti platter, and some of the best calamari I've ever had. Also had the pesche al sale. It was a branzino. Definitely all the best seafood I've had ever. The ownership is a husband and wife, and their daughter, and they are all extremely nice and welcoming. The view of the med and harbor is beautiful, and an amazing sunset as well. Highly highly recommend.
DANIEL LEAVITT — Google review
We stayed in the Sciacca area for vacation recently and our hotel butler advised us that Porto San Paola was a great spot nearby that many locals would eat at for a consistently good dining and servicing experience. They made us a reservation same day for dinner and we arrived promptly at our dining time and were seated immediately at a table overlooking the water and city. The views are purely stunning for sunset! The servers were all so nice and I believe it's a small family owned establishment, and I think the owners were also waiting on us at some point during the meal. All of the restaurant employees were so nice, welcoming, and offered to answer any questions we had on the menu. We started with a bottle of white wine and it was amazing! I think most wines of their menu were less than 25 euros a bottle. They also provided us with a basket of bread to start complimentary as well. We started with Panelle to start as an appetizer (little chickpea fritters, they were amazing! 5 euros for I believe they were 5 fritters). We also ordered the Busiate alla Norma (13 euros, this was the best and freshest pasta you could imagine, truly amazing and they split it for us in the kitchen and was plenty big for two people to share). For entrees, we both ordered the Filetto di pesce fresco (fresh fish filet, 20 euros), and included a few small vegetables as well. We also ended with a Canolli for desert, and OMG it was the best cannoli I've ever had. I believe it was 3 euros and the flavor was out of this world. We split the cannoli in two, but I think I could have eaten two of them just myself! I really felt like we were eating in a Michelin starred restaurant, the food quality and preparation were amazing, along with the service was very white glove as well. If you're in the Sciacca area, definitely give them a try!
Adam Shivers — Google review
We have never felt less welcome in Sicily. We didn't have a reservation, but there was only one table occupied when we arrived and at least five were still available when we left, yet the waiter acted as if it was a nuisance to seat us. We weren't even offered the wine menu, so we drank just water. Our question for a fish recommendation was met with a shrug and "get what you want". Ok, we don't speak much Italian, but elsewhere on the entire island that didn't matter much. The food was ok, but that only goes to show that's only half of the experience. The only female waiter was much nicer than the men, but we felt relieved after we left and somehow I don't think that's what a restaurant should manage. I wish we had taken our business elsewhere.
Gesa P. — Google review
By far one of the best restaurants. In all my trips to Italy, this has been the best so far. The vegan food was world-class. Thank you

We originally tried to go to Lampara restaurant as it was the first restaurant we saw but were shunned away as they were busy? Luckily from there balcony we saw another restaurant which was Porto San Paolo & headed towards it, when we arrived we approached some stairs &!went up, the restaurant was very busy, we were greeted by a friendly woman, table for 2 we said yes & was given a table overlooking the port, we were was that the kitchen was closing early that day as it was public holiday which wasn’t a problem for us, the food arrived in a good time we were given freshly made gressini was beautiful to tame our hunger, I had a traditional siciliano pasta with swordfish & basil pesto which was amazing. Overall the food was great the restaurant staff were friendly the views were amazing, I will definitely be back.
Bobby Digital — Google review
This restaurant has the best view and the food is also really good! I had the fried sea bass with vegetables and it was delicious. Service was excellent! Quite the walk down and up again from the city but well worth it! Recommend this restaurant!
Synne Sidenius — Google review
Food was all very nice however the prices and portion sizes are abysmal. A side salad consisted of 3 olives and about 10 leaves of rocket. 25€ for about 4 bites of fish. I’ve never left a restaurant hungrier and 50€ poorer than when I entered. Ordering a piece of fish literally means a piece of small fish, no side dishes or embellishments. Very disappointing.

Visited Ristorante La Lampara in Sciacca and discovered an exceptional eatery by the harbor. Opted for the tasting menu, which showcased delectable Sicilian dishes prepared with traditional flavors and ingredients. The staff provided friendly and professional service in a cool and pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommend this hidden gem on the second floor, where a discreet entrance leads to top-notch seafood options like raw red shrimp and scampi. Don't miss out on their excellent wine selection!
We went to Sciccia to see the harbour and stumbled across this restaurant and had the best meal of our 2 weeks stay in Sicily. We were here at lunch time during a week in the beginning of September and it was a quiet and clientele `grown-up´. We chose the tasting menu and the food was amazing, based on Sicilian tradition and ingredients. The staff was friendly and professional, and the room was nice and cool on a very hot and humid afternoon. A great experience and would recommend it to anyone who wants to mark an occasion or as a special treat!

Top notch restaurant. Must experience ,food and wine is exceptional Excellent service and info on wine provided. Their Grappa selection also amazing. Gets busy so book early to avoid disappointment. Nice view over the harbour and parking close by, steps to old town right next door. Probably for me best in Sciacca.

Food good, not the excellence you would expect from this type of place and for the price. The anelli pasta was so salty I couldn’t finish. The behaviour of the staff ruined the whole experience. Made reservation through the Fork and confirmed at 8 pm the night before (via call). Apparently they tried to call again the day of the dinner (even though I had no missed calls) and since I didn’t pick up they cancelled my reservation. Arrived on time, not seated for another hour because my reservation was cancelled by the owner even though I had confirmed with them the night before. Not even a drink or coffee offered as a gesture and no apology from any staff, only defensive attitude and rudeness throughout the whole dinner.
