This church considers as its second founder a rich Catalan merchant Antonio Pardo who had various restoration and embellishment works carried out, leaving half of his assets in his will for the benefit of the church. The exterior of the church presents itself in flat plastered surfaces with windows, two portals and a cornice supported by brackets from which cannon-shaped gutters protrude. On the main facade we describe the portal which is in Catalan Gothic style with three pointed arches and two octagonal pillars on the sides. Much more beautiful it is the portal on the side of the structure on via Incisa, considered one of the most precious works of the Sicilian 1400s. This portal was designed by Francesco Laurana and executed by his partner Pietro di Bonitate. The interior is in Baroque style and the stuccos and decorations are were curated by Orazio Ferraro between 1609 and 1624, the painting on the southern wall depicting the Madonna dell'Itria and the paintings depicting the Crucifixion and the Madonna del Soccorso are his work.
