Sights & Landmarks
Dalsnibba Viewpoint, home to the Geiranger Skywalk, offers the highest fjord view from a road. The skywalk provides breathtaking views of snow-covered mountains and dramatic fjords, making it a must-see spot for travelers. The Dalsnibba Observatory also offers stunning panoramic views of a peaceful village nestled amidst mountains and seas. While the toll road is open from late May to October, visitors can enjoy the scenic drive regardless of their driving skills.
We made it on rented e-bikes, and it was the best experience possible. Stunning views on the top and all the way up/down. There's a fare to get to the very top by car or motorcycle, but bikes go for free.
Veronika Michel-L?vy — Google review
It costs 25 euro per vehicle to drive in, you can also park car for free next to the starting point and walk/bike to the top. The view is breathtaking.
Ksenia Titova — Google review
I highly recommend to go to this viewpoint. The view from there is breathtaking. The fjord, Gerainger village and the mountains look amazing from there. To reach to the top of the viewpoint you need to pay 270 nok as of August 2022.
Laura Nichifor — Google review
Great place to be! The road by itself is fun to drive. No special driving skills required. Based on weather conditions and season they open / close the street. They will charge you per car at the beginning. But worth to go there, enjoying the view and taking some photos.
Stefan — Google review
Worth visiting at least one time. Obs! Entrance to Dalsnibba is not for free for vehicles (370 NOK for car and 150 NOK for motorcycle, per 06.2022) Nice viewpoint, you see Geirangerfjorden mountains and plateu. Approx. 20 min to take some photos and see around.

Worth the 300 kr. per car. Great view, souvenir shop is cheap for it being at a tourist location. Tip: take a pair of binoculars with to gaze at the mountains, road below and snow.

The Seven Sisters Waterfall is a magnificent natural wonder that features seven distinct streams cascading down approximately 250 meters into the Geirangerfjord. The breathtaking beauty of this waterfall is indescribable and must be seen in person to truly appreciate its grandeur. It is a stunning display of nature's power and majesty, with each stream flowing gracefully yet forcefully over the rocky cliffs.
No words can describe the place, you must visit it

Lovely memories first cruise with my wonderful husband. Didn't get another he developed lung cancer and passed away. We would have all our holidays cruising
Wendy Brown — Google review
The Seven Sisters is an interesting feature but not an exceptional one in this most beautiful environment. They're part of this majestic fjord and, really, you find quite a few more impressive spots. I guess they are most spectacular at certain times of the year, maybe in May/June, when the snow is melting and thus feed the waterfalls with a greater volume of water.

This was amazing! What a beautiful waterfall!

Beautiful. Saw much more beautiful waterfalls than this in Norway. Glad we decided to take cruise instead of 14km hike.
Neha Agarwal — Google review
The "Seven Sisters" are among the most photographed waterfalls in Geirangerfjorden. They are close to Knivsflå, the abandoned farm. No less than seven waterfalls descend into the fjord. They have an average fall of around 250 meters and are an impressive sight when the water levels are high. The water level is dependent on the snow thaw and precipitation and may affect whether it is possible to see all seven falls equally clearly. The falls are naturally more visible during the major snow melting period in May-July and can be best observed by taking a boat trip on Geirangerfjord. The legend has it that the "Seven Sisters" were all unmarried, and the waterfall on the other side of the fjord has been called "The Suitor" after several unsuccessful attempts to court the sisters.  If you want to see all the sisters and their suitor it is probably better to go when there is the greatest flow of water, such as when there is snowmelt in spring. Even if you do go when there are less sisters, don't worry - they are still spectacular.

This is one place you should stop when going from Gangtok to Lachung. You break journey to enjoy the waterfall. The best part is the gusty winds push the water spray to the spot where you stand. The water fall by itself is beautiful, captivating and very, very chill. It is a very calm serene place. It is situated in North Sikkim on the way to Lachung from Gangtok. Very natural waterfall. Its called seven sisters waterfalls, because it falls in seven steps. Very natural eye catching sight. Ensure you stay long to enjoy the beauty of Sikkim. Cleanest state of India - Sikkim. This water wall is one of the very famous waterfalls of Sikkim and you just can don't miss it. Seven sister fall is wonderfull place for tourist.nature wonder and beautifull.good to take some photo with amazing nature.

The Seven Sisters (Norwegian: De Syv Søstrene or Dei Sju Systrene, also known as Knivsflåfossen) is the 39th tallest waterfall in Norway. The waterfall consists of seven separate streams, and the tallest of the seven has a free fall that measures 250 metres (820 ft).

When you will approach towards Geiranger you will spot this on your Left and The Suitor on your right. The seven sisters waterfall is consist of 7 big and small water fall. And overlooking it there a waterfall shaped bottle. There is myth that the Suitor proposed seven sisters for marriage but they refused. You will see a face and bottle shape water shape waterfall right in front of it.

Pretty cool! Bathrooms (and basically everything) closed in winter. But the view of the fjord from this vantage point was with the drive up. Go check it out.

absolutely stunning view i would definitely do this again my only problem is that when i arrived it was very crowded and very hard to take pictures and take in the view because of the people either blocking the view or being selfish and thinking that we should get out of their way for a photo overall tho very nice spot

Super IT center. Great exposition. Helpful staff. The best is the path next to the waterfall.

It was an ok experience. About what you'd expect. Small cafeteria and some souvenirs, oddly lacking in trolls. Breathtaking view though
alexandra jacob — Google review
Very informative and interactive exhibit. We’d been wondering our whole week in Norway how the fjords were really formed and the exhibit had an excellent video to explain the process. Also gave good insight to what life was like in Geiranger long back with replicas of the houses and shops that you could enter! Nice cafe and gift shop, plus EV charging capabilities in the parking lot.

Storsæterfossen is a stunning waterfall located near Geiranger, Norway. The trail to the waterfall offers a unique experience as it leads hikers behind the powerful cascade. The hike takes about an hour each way and starts from Westeras farm or Hotel Utsikten. The best time to visit is from May to October.
Beautiful waterfall! The walk is a bit challenging because it’s steep but you have amazing views. You can walk behind the waterfall which was very cool!!
Irge Laeremans — Google review
Beautiful waterfall that you can walk behind. It's a moderate to strenuous hike from the farm/parking area of roughly 2.5 km or about 45-60 minutes. The hike is lovely, and the view from the top is spectacular. While there is no fee to hike, there is a parking fee at the farm. A restaurant with delicious food, friendly service, and priceless views is located at the farm as well. A great stop before or after hiking to the waterfall. They also offer takeaway sandwiches, etc, if you want to take a picnic to the top of the falls.
Julie Mallette — Google review
The trek combined with the experience of walking behind the waterfall makes for a memorable trip. The best times to visit this trail are May through October. Storseterfossen (or Storsæterfossen), Grinddalsfossen, and Geirangerfossen were the prominent waterfalls in and behind the town of Geiranger. Storseterfossen was an unusual 30m waterfall on the Vesteråselva in that it was well-hidden from the town of Geiranger while also allowing hikers to go behind it.

Incredible experience. Not a difficult hike to get to and beautiful area around the falls for photos and picnics
Florin Werner — Google review
Amazing waterfall, the hike there is steep but not too slippery, with beautiful views. Took us total 1h30 approximately for the round trip. Very touristic hike though.

One of the best short hikes in Geiranger. You can hike by yourself. Awesome landscape
Bogdan Zaitsev — Google review
Fun and short route. I recommend to take the old trail up (blue) and the green route down. View is awesome and you'll have the waterfall for yourself if you go early in the morning.

Amazing place. Form the starting point to the waterfall, 35 min. People with knee injure, be careful, it is a lot of steps to the top. Amazing view and the waterfall is just amazing. You can go behind the waterfall..

We parked at Westerås farm and walked up the stairs. The trip will take about an hour and it is well worth the trip. An absolutely wonderful feeling to stand under the mighty waterfall. Recommended!
