The museum showcases a vibrant collection of the artist's paintings and personal belongings, offering visitors an intimate look into his life and work. The diverse range of paintings includes captivating depictions of fishes, still life of flowers, beaches, and the famous 'February' portraying almond trees in blossom.
Very pleasant art gallery with works by a talented Mallorcan artist. Definitely recommended if visiting Pollenca.

Excellent!! Go and visit! You will not be disappointed. Museu Dionis Bennàssar I could not recommend enough. Such a lovely surprise, such a pleasant museum and gallery! Thank you Elis so much for explaining and telling us more about the house and Dionis Bennàssar! It was excellent!
Owen McMeel — Google review
Beautiful former home of the artist with many paintings and personal artefacts. Seeing the brilliant colours of the original works is very impressive. Well arranged exhibits on three spacious floors
Martin Ross — Google review
I fell in love with this artist's style and his portrayal of Mallorca and it's people.. Beautifully curated in which was once his family home. Free entry with donation. We bought large prints to post home. Well worth a visit.
paula Howe — Google review
Absolutely worth going in, a house from the artist has been turning into a little gallery. You have such a feeling of the people when you walk around and the staff are lovely

I really love the work of this artist and thrilled to find his exhibition in beautiful Pollensa inside his very own house. It completed my wonderful holiday. Thank you

Fantastic wee museum almost hidden in the middle of the town
Stephen Brown — Google review
What a beautiful, lovely place! The artist caught the flair of the island in a unique way in his paintings and drawings. To be able to enjoy them in the very house he once lived in with his family makes the experience perfect. The kind, young lady working there was very helpful and provided us with a lot of information. Finally, we bought some prints of Bennàssars Paintings in the giftshop, you could ask for no better souvenir of Mallorca!
Marian Grosser — Google review
Arresting and attractive art hung in peaceful and well lit domestic rooms. Extraordinarily welcoming and knowledgeable gallery staff.
Richard Newell — Google review
This is an absolute must in the town. Amazing collection of incredible art in the former home of a genius. Fantastic staff, unique setting and free entry. Be sure to go early - it closes at 14:00.
Nick Melvin — Google review
This is a wonderful museum. The mountains around Pollença, and the cobbles in the square, seem more varied and more textured, more vibrant and more passionate, when seen through the hand of Dionis. I never thought i'd be moved by a painting of fish... We were made to to feel very welcome by the woman working there today, and she gave great answers to our questions I hope to come back one day
dermot cudmore — Google review
An absolute gem of a find, shame it is not better known. This lovely museum is based in the old home of the artist and has many fabulous vibrant paintings to explore. The paintings vary significantly in style but some of our favourites were of the fishes, still life of flowers, the beaches and our definite favourite, 'February' which depicts the almond trees in blossom. The young curator is a delight: extremely knowledgeable and friendly, full of passionate enthusiasm which is infectious. The curator was fluent in many languages. She made us most welcome and gave us some background information to better understand the geopolitical history of Mallorca and its language. She also gave us space to wander round freely at our own pace. There is a beautiful cool calm courtyard where you can buy very reasonably priced drinks and a small giftshop area with some lovely postcards and prints. Also some toilets there too. Don't miss this whilst you are in Pollenca, it is not far from the central square. (I think that there is also a separate gift shop which sells more items). There is no charge for entrance and no wait to go in. Thank you for a very pleasant, welcoming visit. Helen and Nigel
Nigel Lacey — Google review
We’ve enjoyed this museum many times before, but this visit was made 100 times better by the expertise of the guide. She was able to bring the art works and the artist to life with their significance, history and context - special thanks to her.

The young lady who works here simply cannot do enough to help. She is so friendly and knowledgeable. The property has delights at every turn. Make sure you take a minute to yourself in the courtyard.

A must visit if you're in Pollença! A beautifully curated museum and also a unique experience as it's also where the artist lived. The guide at the museum was very knowledgeable and passionate, and also recommended some great local restaurants.

Hiking area
Pollensa boasts several notable landmarks, such as the ancient Pont Roma bridge and Puig de Maria monastery situated atop Puig de Pollensa. Additionally, visitors can partake in a captivating ascent up the 365 Calvari steps, representing each day of the year, leading to the charming El Calvari chapel. The old town of Pollensa offers a nostalgic ambience with its traditional shops, townhouses, and tranquil streets that beautifully encapsulate Mediterranean culture.
A wonderful 3 mile roundtrip hike! It's a steady up up up and you have to park at the main road and walk up further since the little road is only open to local residents but well worth it. You reach a 800 year old monastery, pass goats and get sweeping views of the countryside.
alison Udall — Google review
Beautiful morning out on a rainy/stormy day. Parked in car park at the edge of Pollensa, just across from start of track. Had to dodge the traffic to cross the road, then followed a steep twisting road for about 2km. This then turns into a more cobbled path for the last 1km. It was a bit slippery underfoot so I would recommend something more than flip flops. Views from the top over Alcudia Bay and Pollenca, as well as one the way up were tremendous. The monastery/religious buildings at the top are very interesting, particularly haunting with nobody around, doors rattling in the wind and lighting striking around us. We all jumped at least once at a creaking door or ruffling curtain. Loved it!!
Jo Patterson — Google review
Breathtaking views, in a place of tremendous peace and tranquility. The walk is very steep, definitely not for those not very fit or young at heart! Well worth the effort if you are capable.
Tony Haynes — Google review
This is only a short hike of about 40-45 minutes each way but the climb will give you some good cardiovascular exercise. Once you get to the top the view is amazing and worth taking a few minutes to enjoy it before coming back down
Michael Dickie — Google review
Beautiful walk. Worth it. Cobbled from half way up. Not an easy walk for everyone.

Great views. Steep but doable with good shade levels. Slippery stones on path after leave road so recommend good shoes. All facilities shut at top so take drinks. Picnic tables at top but in sun.

A steep walk up but worth it for the views over Pollença.

Very nice hike up to the monastry. But beware - there is no bar! In fact the monastry is closed and can’t be visited. The the views and the accomplishment of reaching the top make it worth while.

The menu offers delicious pasta dishes like truffle pasta and fresh tomato pasta for those with allergies. With attentive service and a varied menu that caters to vegetarians, it's an ideal spot for a holiday meal.
Fantastic restaurant. A must visit if you’re in the area. Staff is so friendly and especially the hostess Maria who was so friendly and accommodating. The food is excellent and can really recommend the risotto. At the end of the visit they offer a shot of grappa or limoncello. Five star all the way through.

7 of us sat down for drinks and 15 mins later got back up because of how slow the service was. A very easy man shouted at us to move the tables back... I said do you want me to bring these dirty cups back as well from the previous people..... I would avoid it if you're British.

Il Giardino is situated in one of the most picturesque spots in Pollenca, centrally located overlooking the church and the square. For those who appreciate fine dining, this establishment offers an irresistible charm. The attentive staff perfectly complements the restaurant's luxurious atmosphere, ensuring that all your needs are met. Our lunch experience with a cappuccino and steak tartare was excellent. The dishes were rich in flavor and beautifully presented on the plate. While the prices are on the higher side, Il Giardino is a recommendation for those willing to spend a bit more for a high-quality culinary experience.

Just had an amazing lunch there today. The seafood spaghetti with tomato and chilli sauce was one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. My wife had the beef ravioli with a creamy cheese sauce and was amazing also. Lovely rose wine, great service and ambience. Not cheap but very special. You’re on holiday, go large!

What a fantastic find! A beautiful family run establishment in the nicest part of the square. Shaded, beautifully clean! Clean toilets! Always a good sign! The pasta we ordered was fantastic! I had the truffle pasta and it was divine! Finished off by slices of fresh truffle. They catered for my daughter who has nut and sesame allergies beautifully with fresh tomatoe pasta and tons of fresh Parmesan. Highly recommend

As a party of 5, we dined here on Saturday 3June 23. We had reserved a table on the terrazzo so we could soak up the atmosphere of the Placa Major. Very attentive but not obtrusive staff. Lovely varied menu that catered for the vegetarians in our group. Food and wines were great if a tad pricey but hey, you're on holiday! Super delicious food and very friendly staff! Really helpful suggesting vegan options and what they could create for us. Even had their own home-made vegan cheese! Lots of options and very good food.

We only went for drinks. The wine was fine, the location really nice and the waitress did come quickly but the serving could be better fx showing the bottle they serve from. I expect that from a place like this. The fresh juice is really nice.

Best restaurant in our 2 week stay in Mallorca The waiters were all very happy and friendly, specially Giovanni, who provided an excellent service with good recommendations. We ordered the ravioli with lamb and ravioli filled with goat cheese. They were both uniquely tasteful. Excellent value for the price
JULI?N CANTENYS — Google review
Showed with reservation at opening time of 6pm. We were one of the very first guest there. Was seated right away and given menus. Was informed by waiter that table was needed by 7:30 which we had no problem as expected to be done and leave by 7pm. Made our orders by 6:10pm, our drinks arrived by 6:15pm and out starter arrived by 6:25pm. Then nothing while we waited for our main meal. We watched others showed up, order, get their drinks, main meals, get their desserts, and pay their bill and leave and never were we attended to and never our food showed up. Waited 1 hour with no attendance or explanation from staff as to where our food was or if we would like another drink. Looked directly at staff and felt like they were avoiding eye contact with me. Horrible experience for my wife and I and made to feel like 2nd class citizens while everything else felt more important to them. I do no recommend.
Tony Gallas — Google review
It just wasn't good. Nice place but the food was over staged nothing was hot. The fish was supposed to be corvina but was bass. It was not very fresh, overcooked and not warm. I think this always happens when dinner comes on those black bits of cold slate. The prawns "read well" on the menu but were really disappointing, they were also stone cold. The prawns were exactly the same for the seafood risotto. Seemed precooked and just added on to the top. We had a minor issue with on dish which was returned and replaced immediately, I'd guess from experience it was the same one re-plated given the turn around time. The crispy chicken salad is a salad with chopped up battered goujons. There are better options in the Square

Beautiful location. We visited on this beautiful spring day. We had bruschetta and a goat cheese salad. Both were very tasteful. I will come back when I visit Pollenca once again! 👏🏼🍷

God this place was good. The goat cheese salad was sublime and the pan tostada with shrimp was so good! My husband was sick so I hung out, ate, and chatted with the waiters. They encouraged me to walk (slog/hike, really) to Puig de Maria, and rewarded my happy fatigue on the return with free olives and a nice glass of wine. Thanks ❤️
Ellen Moore — Google review
Lovely experience, for people who like good wines and a bit more when it comes to food and service. Matching price! We had the last free table on the terrace in April 2023. Server had a good eye on what was happening. We enjoyed salmon tartare and tuna tataki, ravioli with gambas and house lasagne. Pizza margherita for our daughter of 5. The seating on the center square in Pollenca makes it complete.

Food prices are more than average but worth for the quality of food. Atmosphere for us personally could have been completed with some smooth jazz music but the lack of didn’t hinder it at all. Would recommend!

An unexpected gem! Food was innovative, modern and busting with flavor - we were spoilt for choice with the menu. Service was impeccable, we trusted our waiter to choose our wine based off our description - it was always amazing. Price is incredibly moderate given the quality of the food and wine. Couldn’t recommend higher

Food was amazing 🫶 We had the tuna tataki, the goat cheese salad and the salmon 😍 The salmon reminded me of a cod really really nice! The goat cheese salad was as well super good. For dessert we had the vegan pistachio sorbet which was amazing and the tiramisu. Just the alioli could be a bit better I think there is something missing and the portion should be bigger too. The service was super noce as well and the restaurant is very cozy

Amazing food - even 'basic' things like bacon wrapped prawns were a level above the standard. And even better lunch deal. Great quality and quantity. We left fully sated. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful dinner. The service was super friendly, funny and nice. The chef talked to us if everything was alright. Lamb, Pulpo, Fish Soup and fish of the day were awesome. Also the white house wine was very tasty. We just had a wonderful evening.

If you are visiting Pollenca, this is a place to go to! The menu is quite simple, but they have perfected it. As a non meat eater, the waiter offered a vegetarian option for myself and recommended other dishes for my partner. For 18 euros you can get a starter, main, dessert, wine and water! The interior is filled with traditional photographs. They serve their own brand of homemade wine, and the large windows let in lots of light. The staff are an absolute pleasure. I would 100% return.

You can order À la carte but the daily option have a great price for what you get (drink + soup/Entrée + main dish + dessert). I must say that vegetables are not my thing, but even those were delicious, great Paella and pork stew. We choose to eat outside to enjoy the weather, they had only three 4person tables and we were lucky to get one. Kitchen closes at 15:30

We visited on our last day in Pollensa. Be sure to make a reservation as this place is popular! The del dia was superb, 3 courses and a bottle of wine for 20 euro. The food was absolutely fantastic. My 11 year old son was well catered for too. The staff were wonderful. Highly recommend.

Such a magical evening at this place! We came to have dinner during the week and wanted to eat some local food. We got received by the chef and a very nice assistant personally. They have been taking great care of us all evening, super attentive people. The food was homemade, with a lot of love and quality ingredients. Our pork loin cabbage roll and roast pork were cooked to the perfection, they were generous portions too for the price! Can’t wait to drop by again very soon! ❤️

If you're looking for real food, that kind of food that makes you warm on the inside, this is the place. The staff is so nice and so friendly that they make you feel really welcomed. Now the most important part the food. The food was simply amazing. We had shrimp with bacon as a starter, main was dark rice paella and dessert crème brulé. We made reservation just in case, since this place is quite popular.

A very nice restaurant. Ambience perfect. Service excellent and food as well. We had a midday meal and the price was superb. 3 courses plus a bottle of wine and bottle of water for 2 people €37. We will go back. We recommend this restaurant.

We went to Celler El Moli after a hiking day; they have a daily menu, inclusive the weekends and good price, with some starters and main course options. We order "Mallorquinian frit" and mixed paella as starters and baked pork, Mallorquinian style. The pork was really good, the paella not bad. All was good, but the only problem is that the place is small, and they try to have all tables they can, and some times it is a little bit noisy. Also, there are few people working, so you need to wait a little bit between starters and main course.

Fantastic authentic Spanish restaurant. Enjoyed a fab menu del dia on our first day of holiday (€16.50pp). Was so good, that we rang from the beach next day to order a takeaway paella, and it was ready within 45 mins. I know! I should have asked for the drink list or at least the price, when ordering a "small shot of grappa for digestion" after the meal. But charging 7.50 Euro for a shot of grappa is pretty cheeky, considering the rest of the pricing (see attached cuenta). The food was good; although I probably got the wrong pizza (I ordered the one with Mallorquin sausage and special cheese; but got the one with nuts and honey, nice cheese though, but no sign of any sausage pieces). I asked the waiter, if he's sure I've got the right pizza, he said 'Yes', so I'll take his word for it. Also I got a salad with the pizza, which I sent back, since I didn't order it. Service was slowww, but then, they were really full for lunch time, so not a problem!

We found the restaurant by accident and fell in love with the restaurant's charm. The service was extremely attentive and friendly. The food was good, very good by Spanish standards. Very generous wine list, pizzas looked good, pasta could have used a little more seasoning. We had lunch, 2 Pasta, a bottle of wine, coffee and dessert. Price was fine 60-70€.

Just had a fine meal here, following a recommendation during a chance conversation with a Pollenca resident. All the comments in reviews about location, courtyard/garden setting, friendly staff, excellent food are accurate. We had 2 starters, two mains (with padron pimentos as a side - just gorgeous), a dessert, a cocktail, 3 glasses of wine and a beer and, as a guide to cost, the cuenta was €100. Food for the two of us was delicious. This is a Pollenca treat, tucked-away and set apart from the hype of the main square.

Great service, good food, cute garden! We walked up and were able to get a table outside even though most other guests had reserved. Hidden away from the main square but worth a visit!

4 adults and 2 children for dinner. We had garlic bread for the table thenains were pasta with prawns, lamb chops, pork fillet and 3 x pizza. Noticeably cheaper in price than restaurants around the plaza. Lovely garden setting with relaxing atmosphere. Friendly staff and great food. The Vulcano pizza was especially good - salami, nduja and peppers. The restaurant garden was full by 8pm so would suggest booking in advance. (We walked in the previous evening and made a reservation).

This is a restaurant we keep going back to. Its a perfect Italian restaurant with plenty of dishes to choose from. The pizzas are delicious, pasta with shrimps is my favorite, their tabaluca salad is fantastic and the ravioli with spinach ricotta are an absolute must try. The staff is super friendly. Prices are affordable. Last but not least, the restaurant has a lovely garden, a hidden gem in the village of Pollenca.

We were very lucky to get a table on Sunday evening. We arrived at 7:30, but it was already very busy. Everyone wants to sit outside in the garden, which is a lovely space. The staff were run off their feet. We ordered padron peppers to start, which were plentiful and delicious. We had pizzas for our main course. The volcano pizza was spicy meaty heaven. My wife loved her goats cheese pizza also. The pizzas are stone baked and quite large. People around us were ordering pizzas too, so they're clearly popular. We did see some nice looking steaks and lobsters going out of the kitchen. By 8:30 there were a number of people waiting for tables, so I advise you too book to avoid disappointment.

Mediterranean restaurant
La Placeta-Pollença offers a delightful dining experience with a range of delicious Mediterranean dishes. The menu boasts an array of delectable options, including warm bread with allioli, savory paella varieties, and handmade tiramisu. The wine selection is also excellent. Eduardo, the attentive host, ensures a pleasant visit in the quiet square setting. Highly recommended for those seeking fresh and healthy options like grilled chicken breast or sea bass with vegetables.
We stayed in an AirBnB just around the corner so it was only natural that we'd end up eating here and I'm glad we did. My wife and I shared the 'black' paella and it was fantastic. The service was also brilliant; friendly but not overly fussy. Thanks!

Lovely meal, in beautiful surroundings. The suckling pig was stunning, as was the paella, the Spanish omelette was authentic and hit the spot too. The pasta was fresh and home made. Certainly worth a visit.

Got served soft drinks that was well past best before date. Noticed it and asked for new ones and got two new, that was also expired. Food was no where near homemade, very poor and overpriced.

Delicious food in the tranquil atmosphere of a tucked away square. The paella is brought to the table and is served straight from the pan, the black paella is divine!

This restaurant is a hidden gem. Due to location many has driven by missing the joy offered . Tucked away off the road I drove by twice before venturing to the doors . Big mistake on my part! Family friendly with a pleasant ambiance La Placeta provided the best eating experience for our trip to Mallorca. Language is not an issue as the hostesses speak English, Spanish and other languages . Meals cooked upon request, arriving in timely fashion. The Paella was amazing paired with the steak we left full. Will definitely return to eat before the end of this trip and save to our list of restaurants for recommendations to friends traveling to Mallorca!
