If you're in the area this is well worth the visit. We booked on to one of the English speaking tours and found the history fascinating. Our guide, Pascal, spoke excellent English and was both knowledgeable and passionate about the company and the product. He had a great sense of humour, which always makes things more interesting, and gave us some good tips on how to make the most of the drink itself. We had never tried Vermouth before but now we are firm fans of the 'ambre' variety. Highly recommended.

I can only echo what many other reviewers have said. A wonderful facility and an excellent personalized tour followed by a tasting and the chance to buy their products and accessories. One very interesting part of the tour was the cooperage repair shop, in which there was a very impressive iron spiral staircase designed by Eiffel (yeah, that guy). If you do decide to visit, make sure you so at a time of day when you can take a walk around the town's harbor and have a meal at one of their very good restaurants.

We had a great tour thanks to our lovely guide Annette. We were the only English speakers in a group of friendly French from Lyon. Annette translated perfectly what we didn't understand. The Noilly Pratt was also very delicious.

We always stop here with the boat to see this traditional but ever so modern and trendy place of the "French Vermouth". You have to go there while you stay in this area and enjoy a nice drink or two.

What a wonderful tour. We went in knowing virtually nothing about Vermouth and came away feeling like experts. Seeing all aspects of the production and storage gave us total appreciation for the production of vermouth. And the tasting was one of the best tastings we have ever done, and we have done many of various types. Our guide gave us all kinds of hints and samples about how vermouth is drunk there as opposed to how we view it in the US. We bought some to bring home and can’t wait to educate our friends.

The tour is superb. An excellent explanation of the process and history of NP. The tour though the historic buildings ending with a very nice tasting. The boutique has all 4 varieties for sale plus other items. The whole layout and design is very well done. Our personal tour was by Pascal - who was outstanding. Six stars for him.

Always a pleasure to visit Noilly prat. We were last here in 2018 where we had a tour in danish (one from the staff is danish). This time we had a nice little tasting and bought the ambre Noilly. Exquisite! We will definitely be back to soak in the atmosphere

Great tour and tasting at this Vermouth plant in Marseilles France. Amazing experience.

Visiting Marseillan a visit to Noilly Prat is highly recommended. At a first glance it might not look that interesting, but it is. Everything is well organised and worth exploring, the shop, the tour, the bar (two) the museum and the Bond movie night(s). The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. My favourite is having a Dry Martin, enjoying the beautiful courtyard while playing a game of boule.

Nice store! Great products! The lady in the store is speaking several languages which is easy when you have questions and not speaking the local Language. Bought a couple of bottles and sweets for the Family

Oyster bar restaurant
Coqui Thau is a fantastic bar that is perfect for enjoying a beer and socializing with friends. In addition to drinks, they offer a variety of sweet treats, cakes, and simple snacks. They also have a wide selection of refreshing cold and hot beverages, including various coffee and tea specialties. The dining experience at Coqui Thau is amazing as they serve delicious sardines and mussels cooked over a fire pit.
Exceptional seafood, as fresh as you can get. They have two seating areas, one looking out over the fishing port and lagoon, the other ‘garden’ side for great barbecue, brasucades etc. Service is brilliant, really friendly and helpful and the vibe is relaxed and informal. Great choice of seafood platters at very reasonable prices, but the real star of the show is their oysters, it’s really not surprising that they won the médaille d’or in Paris 2022. They also have a good selection of local wines.

Limited menu in no-frills setting by the etang. Fresh mussels and oysters, limited options for preparations.

Amazing dining experience. Sardines and muscles cooked over a fire pit. Serve yourself informal dining. Simple food amazing quality and tastes delicious.
Sarah Simpson — Google review
While the oysters were fine and fresh, as they are from all the purveyors on the Etang de Thau, their cooked mussels were not. They arrived after almost an hour's wait, overcooked and with a mild but unpleasant sauce. They were advertised as a "brasucade" (roasted on a wood fire) but, as I saw and tasted, came boiled out of the kitchen. I was seated with a direct view of the wood fire and large pot of mussels (in front of the kitchen door) which a man in impeccably clean light coloured clothing occasionally stirred. He never took anything out of it. I did once see him add a piece of wood underneath. It smelled great. Other purveyors along that strip of waterfront (a few hundred yards away) serve wonderful oysters and brasucade which they clearly make right there with a great deal of labour and care. Those restaurants, such as Chez Tatin, also offer a choice of several good sauces.

Wine bar
La Taverne du Port, a wine bar located in Marseillan's Mooring area, offers a delightful ambiance with its breathtaking scenery and warm and friendly staff. The culinary experience at this establishment is commendable, although there were instances where certain dishes had to be returned due to insufficient heat or the steak being undercooked according to possible cultural differences. However, the overall quality of the food was satisfyingly good, boasting traditional flavors that catered to various preferences.
Best lunch of the week, and most of the others were very good. Had the "Huitre Gratinee" with the Noilly Prat. the best on France's south coast, excellent and always consistent. Followed with the Seche, at 19Eu one of the cheapest on the menu but again, excellent flavours, one of the best in the area. All that with local Rose, that's as good as anywhere. They have a great cellar so their recommendations are worth listening to. Finished with cheese. As I've been here before so I took a group of 5, they know their cheeses and best advice was to "start from the right". We thought the service was very good, the waitress was very pleasant and helpful as was the other waiters. The proprietors are pleasant and straight forward, after all, you don't go to France if you want to be fawned over. With a location on the edge of the harbour it's a great way to spend a lunch time.

Mooring in Marseillan we enjoyed the scenery and the staff were lovely and welcoming. The food was very good but we had to return a couple of dishes, not hot enough, & a steak was too rare but that could have been due to english/French taste.
Andy Donley — Google review
What surprised us was that there were only 3 tables (including ours) occupied. There was a very nice woman who welcomed and seated us - and who waited till the only woman in the group (my wife) returned to the table to hand us the menus, with my wife being offered the menu first. Very classy. We had been recommended this restaurant by Sylvain who works at Domaine Saint Hilaire. He told us the food would be good, the setting lovely, and parking would be easy. He was right on all counts. Once again, they did not have a vegetarian option on the menu but were more than happy to make a vegetarian dish for my wife and she claims it was really very, very good. One son had the meat dish, another a mixed sea food platter and I had the fish. The fish had bones (which I find bothersome) but was tasty. The desert one of my son's and I had was Creme Brulee and that was spectacular and made up for the slight disappointment with the fish. It was a very pleasant and relaxed lunch with good food and great staff. Highly recommended

Excellent value for money. Great service and good sea food. Speak both English & French. Had sea food platter 2 Sole, Calamari, & Barbue all for 45 Euro for 2. Ate outside with harbor view.

We have travelled and eaten all over France and never experienced the rudeness and unhelpful ness as last night at this place.. will not call it a restaurant as it is an insult to other much better places where you will be treated well we left without eating..

Awful restaurant, there’s lots of lovely restaurants in the port so don’t choose this one! Staff are rude and obnoxious and they are no competition for the other businesses in the port. Horrendous.

French restaurant
Restaurant L'Entre 2 Marseillan-Plage is a fantastic dining establishment that offers an amazing culinary experience. The appetizer of gravad salmon was fresh and delectable, accompanied by a creamy side dish and crispy hashbrowns. For the main course, the pheasant was packed with flavor and succulent, complemented by the hint of fennel in the escargots.
Absolutely great! I had the gravad salmon for starter and the pheasant with escargots for main. The salmon was fresh and tasty, creamy accompaniment, and delicious crispy hashbrowns. The pheasant was flavorful and juicy with a hint of fennel escargots. The sauce was packed with flavor filling well with both the meat and the very well prepared sides. My partner's star was the foie gras, which partnered with the gingerbread- like bread was wonderful. His main course of delicious barley risotto with a dreamy creamy sauce worked so well with the flavorful and tender confit pork. The chef, who was also the waiter was really sweet and attentive and so very kind to explain the entire menu to us in bits of English and German. Great place I can definitely recommend!

Great place to have a traditional french kitchen experience in the middle of nowhere. The chef is a very friendly fellow, with an amazing taste, attention to details and professionalism. The food is soooo delicious that no words can explain. Totally recommend to visit and to enjoy french hospitality and the great food.

Probably one of the best upscale gems in the area. The cuisine is top notch and the menu changes frequently. Dining is in a beautiful garden setting, nice outdoor lighting at night.

Excellent. The food was absolutley delicious and it was paired with an amazing bottle of wine. One person in our group is a vegetarian and we forgot to mention that when we reserved, but the chef made a delicious special plate, truley amazing.

French restaurant
Restaurant Le Château du Port is a highly regarded eatery with exceptional cuisine and a pleasant atmosphere. Despite its location on the less popular side of the port, it stands out as the finest restaurant in terms of food quality and dining ambiance. The staff are fluent in multiple languages and offer a diverse menu selection. Although it may be considered costly compared to other options nearby, the prices are still reasonable. Additionally, this establishment has been praised for its beautiful decor and delectable dishes.
Excellent oysters. Lamb cooked to perfection and fell off the bone. Fish flavorful and pesto topping nice surprise.

My family recently spent ten days or so in Meze and on the last night of our trip we decided to dine here. Our greatest disappointment was not finding this jewel earlier. My children had menu enfants, with which they were happy. My wife and I had more difficult orders. We both had the Tataki Tuna appetizers, which were executed to perfection with the right amount of sear and a lovely sesame crust. We had different plats, including blanquette of veal (my wife) both of which were very well executed. the service was warm and friendly and reasonably fast (for France) even though the restaurant was surprisingly busy for an Easter Monday. We had seen the restaurant poorly reviewed recently and hoped that was anomalous - it was. I unreservedly recommend Chateau du Port and badly wish we had been able to spend more time there exploring the menu. Brilliant

Really lovely! Beautiful location near the port, delicious food and well managed by good people. A top tip: go for the Fête de la Musique in the summer :D

Our first time dining at Le Chateau du Port but it certainly won’t be our last. The food was delicious, every mouthful was a delight. The service was excellent as was the ambiance.
Jayne Campbell — Google review
Always enjoy dining here as the food is usually excellent. Often overlooked for not being on the sunny side of the port it is easily the best restaurant in the area in terms of quality of food and dining ambience. Bi-lingual staff and good menu choice. Probably also the most expensive choice in the port vicinity.

We have been going to CdP every summer for years and it is always an an exceptional experience. The food from Chef Patrick is inventive, high quality and, above all, incredibly tasty. Service from Mme Jasmine and her team is always warm, friendly and very welcoming. Add to this the pretty backdrop of Marseillan harbour and it is definitely worth making the trip if you are staying in the area. A true 5/5.
